Best Western Harbor Park Hotel, Incheon

Got here around 1:30 pm. I know I was before the regular check in time but come on, on Wednesday afternoon, most hotels usually accomodate guests. The front desk wouldnt let us check in without the early check in fees. I'm diamond select and I guess tier doesnt mean anything in Best Western. I come back an hour later to check in and at the end of the check in, the front desk asked me to buy my own toothbrush and toothpaste at the 7-11 located right next to the front desk. Buy my own toothbrush and toothpaste? This is a first in my 20 something years of traveling. This will definitely be the LAST time I'll ever stay in any Best Western.

I stayed one night at this hotel after a flight and before going on a cruise ship. The staff at the front desk was super efficient and friendly despite there had been an misunderstanding in my booking/transfer. I was quickly set up with a room which was comfortable and clean. Good size bathroom and a very nice bed. The dinner was not expensive but very well made and tasty. Try the Norwegian salmon! Breakfast buffet was OK, but there could have been more choices of bread and cold cuts and maybe also smoked salmon? Anyway, all together a good and nice hotel that should suit anyone going to this town.

Room was clean, comfortable beds, good restaurant and bar (weirdly has a hot tub in the bar). All in all a good choice for a stay in Incheon. Only 5 mins walk from the train station and hop on hop off starting point. Only stayed 1 night but based on what we saw we would recommend.

Good location, walking distance to train station and several tourism spots. Bus stop and City tour Bus stop in front of hotel. Walking distance to restaurants which open till late. Clean room, nice staff.

During my stay, the room was very clean. the Desk was nice to do my laptop biz. I couldn't smell anything from the bedding and etc in my room such as bleach or other things. The waitress in the restaurant (4th floor) was jolly kind and professional - Dinner is recommended.

Hotel is ok for a short stay especially if you are on a business trip. Has great view to the port and it's quite. Rooms are not so big, however bed is comfortable and internet coverage is above average. Also breakfast is good.

Harbor Park Hotel is probably the best hotel if you hope to stay in the Open Port area in Incheon. Its location is unbeatable: 30-second walk to Incheon Art Platform, 3-minute walk to the "Japanese" area, 10-minute walk to Incheon Station and Chinatown, 15-minute walk to Jayu Park, 20-minute walk to Fairy Tale Village, and 15-minute walk to Sinpo International Market. There are some nice cafes around and an e-mart 20-minute walk away. There is also a bus stop in front of the hotel where you could take the city tour bus (hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus) and bus 307 (to Incheon Airport Terminal 2). I booked a family twin room for 3 nights. One reason I booked this hotel was that there was a review criticizing the beds in this hotel are hard (and I was a bit startled to have seen another review saying that the beds are soft). When I entered the room, I immediately checked the bed, and glad to know that the bed had good support (well, we could accept even "harder" bed). The hotel was well-designed (it's apparent that the designer made the best use of every inch of the space... you can tell when you visit the restroom in the lobby). The room are quite newly-renovated, but it was rather "hairy" when we checked in. The room looked nice in the first glance, but soon we found strands of hair here and there. We of course understood that it's hard to be totally "hairless", but we found hair on the bedding, on the desk, in the sink, on the bathroom floor and in the towel. It really didn't feel good to see a strand of a stranger's hair in the towel when I was wiping myself after a shower. In view of this, we put that "change bedding card" on our beds the next day. Yet, when we were back, the bedding looked straightened but the stains were found on exactly the same place of the bedding (I didn't know if it could be a coincidence that there were stains on both sets of bedding.) Well, in terms of cleanliness, it could definitely be better... the window glass was rather dirty... I could hardly like a clear photo of the wonderful view of the town from my room. The hotel staff was good, but a few of them spoke only some English. Or I should put it this way, they all spoke English, but a few of them didn't understand English well enough. When I checked in, I told the receptionist that we would like to book also the breakfast, and he told us to walk in the restaurant and pay when check out of the hotel. Yet, when we went to the restaurant the next morning, everyone had a breakfast voucher except us. We were told to pay immediately and the price wasn't the same as that we were told when checking in. The same incident happened two days later, but the restaurant staff members were nice enough to help settle everything despite these hiccups. The breakfast was good and suffice, BUT it is no longer served at the rooftop lounge but on the 4th floor. If you are an early-bird, this is probably the only choice apart from the convenient store (attached to the hotel lobby), for most cafes open after 9am. As just mentioned, if you opt for the hotel breakfast, do make sure you get the breakfast voucher at the reception in advance. There were plenty of good choices from late afternoon onward, so there should be no worries of the lunch and dinner. We enjoyed strolling around the area a lot. Harbor Park is probably the best in the area. Yet, with no competition around, the hotel cannot rate a 5 stars overall. There is still room for improvement here and there. Look forward to its bettering itself to become a top-notch hotel in the Open Port district.

We stayed at this hotel to be closer to the port and airport after 6 days in Seoul. Maybe we were spoiled in Seoul, but when we arrived here in Incheon we were so displeased. Check-in and the lobby was fine. We waited forever for the elevator because there are 3 and if you press one call button, it only calls the one elevator and not any of the 3 (so people pressed all 3 buttons, thereby slowing all the elevators down more). When we got to our room we were exhausted after travelling from Seoul for 90 minutes by train.... we immediately crashed on the bed and both were shocked by the hardness of the bed. So much so that we took the sheet off because my husband was convinced we were sleeping on just the boxspring. It was the hardest mattress of my life. I know this is Chinese-style, but I feel like sleeping on a park bench would have been more comfortable. We endured it for only the one night we had before leaving the next day. We requested extra blankets at the front desk which they brought quickly so we could sleep on top of the duvet to add a little padding to the bed and had the extra blankets overtop of us. Apart from the mattress, the rest of the service was good. The breakfast buffet the next morning was nice and the restaurant staff was so nice to let me stay after the buffet was closed because I was watching my husband's ship leave the port. The location is close to Chinatown and easy to get to by train - I can't walk too far (I have MS) and I could easily get there by foot from the train station. Although, I was tired when I got there and would have loved a nap on a comfortable bed. All in all, I just couldn't look past the awful bed. The bathroom was so-so - it was functional. There was a big ugly crack in our sink basin. The shower was considered luxurious as a rainfall shower, but I personally don't like those as I find it difficult to shower under. Thats just my own personal preference though and I wouldn't hold that against them. Also, I found a hair in the bed, and one on the shower sprayer. I'm not super grossed out by that stuff, aware that other people sleep in hotels too. But it certainly makes you wonder about the other cleanliness. But a hotel is to sleep in. And this bed was the worst I've ever had, so I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a single person - that is, if you want to sleep.

Stayed here for a night on our way to the Airport...Rooms are small...bathrooms are ok...aircon/heater controls are not working...had a hard time communicating with the staff as they don't speak english well...

Uninspiring hotel with limited reception skills. No greeting, in fact quite sullen. Room was very acceptable, clean and comfortable. Poor indication in room of what the hotel offered. Next day discovered the roof top restaurant and had a very nice breakfast with good service. Speedy checkout with no issues. Overall OK experience but it wouldn't take a great deal to make this hotel very good.
