Resumen de la reserva
Best Western is conveniently located just off the highway, near lots of restaurants and across from a gas station. It was perfect for us. It is pet friendly, both dogs and cats are allowed. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was clean and large. If I were to “complain” about anything it would be that the shower pressure could have been better. That being said, I have long very thick hair, it would probably be great for average hair. I would definitely stay at this Best Western again!
Was disappointed, I always read TripAdvisor reviews when staying in a new place in a different city, this one had decent reviews, so I booked, I usually upgrade to a suite which I did here, the layout was good with 2 big TVs and the bathroom between the bedroom and the extra room, but I was right next to an exit door and the parking lot so it was louder than I'm used to, bigger issues were the flies, too many, also the room was worn out with stains on the carpet, could use a little refresh, bed was comfortable, breakfast was standard, staff was friendly, if I stay in town again I'll try another
I am a light sleeper and when I called to book our room I requested a room on the top floor. While checking in the customer service rep I talk to at the check in desk said we had a room on the 1st floor. I advised them I requested the top floor and they said it wasn't noted on my original request. Thankfully they were able to change our room. In the past at two different BW hotels, we were given a main floor room, with a dog barking next door every time someone walked by and they couldn't contact the person whose dog it was so we got moved to the second floor on the other side of the hotel. Another time we had children above and below us and we didn't get a good nights sleep, hence now let's going to request a top floor room.
We spent a couple of days here, and really enjoyed it. Clean, roomy, really comfy bed and pillows, good wifi, decent breakfast, nice decor, friendly staff. Pricing was really competitive for what they offer. They even have a free EV charger in the lot (there are other options nearby as well). There's plenty of restaurants to walk to, and some great sidewalks if you head towards the residential area. I'll try to nitpick and come up with negatives...there was a little mold on the caulk around the shower. The toilet was persnickety about flushing a couple of times. There were a few minor scuff marks and dents, but really not many. It's pretty loud outside around rush hour, but it got quieter later and we slept very well.
My hotel suite was clean front seat folks were awesome as wel but my breakfast sat am was only eggs biscuits waffles no meat ???? I also am wondering why some hotels do not serve white bread this seems to happen lots now a days we pay a lot these days for a stay and most times I feel like we're getting the short end as everyone wants their money back from Covid I think so what benefits is a dimond card holder these days
Stayed at this BW location for 1 night. It is in a location convenient to fuel, food, shopping. Check in was quick (thanks Ben) and pleasant. Room was clean and comfortable temperature. Bed and bedding were comfortable. Pillows were plentiful but not great for sleeping. The hotel was quiet and felt safe . All the staff were very friendly. The property is a bit dated but was a good value. The breakfast lady kept items stocked and area clean. The offerings were not high quality - Walmart tea, mystery ham, generic cereals, cheap bagels.
The location is right by all the shopping area. Close to restaurants as well. Quiet and great breakfast. Staff was friendly and helpful. Easy and quick with check in and out.
I stayed here for one night on long trip. Check in was great and the fellow was very nice and friendly and helpful!! Room was clean and had all the amenities I needed. Breakfast was good the next morning. A little bit of clunky noise later in the evening and not even sure what it was (I was on first floor in a quiet location) but all in all it was a great stay and I would recommend. I walked to the japanese restaurant that is only two minutes away and had a great dinner!!!
Best western has come a long ways. I was very surprised how clean and affordable my stay was. I will be back again
Booked a room at one price but showed up and paid another price at check in. No confirmation email was sent so i could not rely on that. Front desk staff tried to give a small discount and management was later called (another small discount given) but I still did not get the rate I thought I was paying. The room was very dark (great if you like that) and the alarm clock was set up to a light switch so the clock was switched off unknowingly before we went to bed. I didn't go eat breakfast but my son said that was not too much to choose from. The rooms were clean and I loved that the pool was not a closed off room but it was still loud with all the kids.
Love the BW property, the town of Grand Forks is amazing, clean and lots of green spaces! With the College there and other high profile jobs, seems like a lot of high achievers live there. This is one place that I'd love to come back and visit.
Great stay!!! Responded to all our needs and friendly. Very knowledgeable of area. Very helpful and polite.
Took a quick trip to Grand Forks to get away for a night on the long weekend, stayed here at an excellent price, and location is very handy. Staff is friendly and helpful, pool area and workout rooms were all in good order. Only hitch was the breakfast crowd was massive and got the poor lady making breakfast on her heels trying to keep up. We've stayed here before, and will definitely stay here again.
Whole hotel smells like chlorine from the pool. Water pressure in shower was nonexistent. Electric vehicle charging station blocked by snow and gas vehicle. Internet very slow. Loud walking noises from guests above at 2am. Noise complaint was handled very well by staff. Mentioned charging station area blocked but that issue was not resolved. Staff were friendly, helpful and kind. Breakfast was good but some food items ran out quickly. Overall not the best hotel stay we have had in a long while.
Excellent service with all you need for a quick trip. Breakfast was delicious and lots of choices. Check in was quick and enjoyed the spacious suite. Location excellent. Will definitely be back to this hotel again.
Very clean Pet friendly hotel. Nice staff. The brekky smelled wonderful, but they were out of some items ,so we did not stay. Great location for shopping and eating. Pool and hot tub was fabulous! The beds are the best. So comfortable.
Wonderful hotel. Super clean and very friendly staff. The pool area was also very nice. The kids loved it! I recommend a room by the pool if you plan to use it! If you do not, get a room away from the pool as it does tend to get loud. Highly recommend this hotel!! We will be back for sure.
Definitely recommend this hotel if you are just looking for a quick stay in Grand Forks. We were mostly there for shopping and didn't spend too much time at the hotel but the location was great, the beds very comfy, and the staff very friendly. Hotel is a bit aged but they've updated it and it is sufficient for our needs! Would stay there again!
Check-in and check-out were fast and efficient. The breakfast was amazing with 3 different menus for the 3 days we were there. Room was a great size and bed was very welcoming, after a long day of shopping. We shopped all three days and every time we came back to a clean room that was warm and inviting. It truly was a wonderful stay. #cheers
The facility was clean, staff very friendly, breakfast area was clean with plenty of selection and table room. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable. We were traveling with a dog and there was plenty of area to exercise her.
Our suite was sparkling clean with a comfy bed. We did not hear any noise from rooms adjacent to ours. We did not hear any traffic during the night. Area is well lit. Hotel is located within reach of shopping experiences and eateries.Nice hot breakfast was appreciated. The staff we encountered were professional and friendly. We'd like to return to this property and highly recommend it.
The hotel had a good location. Close to restaurants. They have a bar in the hotel that serves some hot food and pizzas. The free breakfast had lots of options. All the staff we dealt with were professional and helpful. I will stay here again, the next time I visit Grand Forks.
My daughter and I travelled from Manitoba to have a girls shopping trip with my 16 month old grandson. We booked a 2 queen suite with separate sitting area so the baby could nap in a separate room. The room is quite spacious, the beds were comfortable and we asked for a free crib, which is actually a pack and play playpen, but serves the purpose. Food was very good, Large selection of hot and cold items. Very friendly staff. We did find we heard a lot of late night noise from the rooms above us , Otherwise was happy with our stay. Also very close to lots of stores , restaurants and a nice playground.
My room was clean but had a faint odour of smoke. Also it was loud both with neighbouring room and pool. The biggest issue was my room was missing a blackout curtain facing the pool. It was light all night in the room
We love the good size rooms , the location of this hotel, and the outstanding staff. Also a nice size pool and an enjoyable hot tub my husband loves seems to always be very quiet during the day and night. So far we have never experienced any noise disturbances during the night. For longer stay overs the suites are an excellent choice giving you that extra room to stretch out.
Our rooms was clean. The pool area was nice and the location was great. The staff were professional and friendly. I felt like they appreciated their guests. They made our stay enjoyable. I wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Very clean, super friendly staff. Bed was very comfortable, probably one of the cleanest bathrooms I have ever seen at a hotel. Only issue was the WiFi was useless. Phones would never stay connected so the internet needs to be upgraded.
I decided to try the local Best Western after being disappointed with the local Springhill Suites from Marriott. I am so glad I did! The staff were amazing especially the late night front desk attendant (I regularly got in after midnight). The showers were always hot with plenty of water pressure. Sometimes there were some loud nights but everyone respected the “Tranquil Environment” hours of 10pm - 8am. I never ended up using the gym or the pool even though I told myself I would. Plenty of other guests did though with seemingly no issue. I would definitely recommend and will plan to stay here again when I return to Fargo.
Freindly staff. Clean room. Great full breakfast. The workout room was nice and clean and they also had free weights which are sometimes hard to find in hotel gyms. Hotel is very close to all amenities including next door to Texas Roadhouse!
We like this BW when visiting family in the area. It is conveniently located with shopping, gas, restaurants nearby. The amenities are perfect for us. Great breakfast, friendly/helpful staff. Very good value.
Clean rooms with nice pool area. Nice workout center available. Breakfast had a good variety of choices and was clean. Fast and friendly service at checkin and checkout. Would recommend for those that are traveling with a family as there's a 2 room suite that's reasonably priced.
Check in was quick, the room was neat and clean. The continental breakfast was great; eggs, sausage, prepare your own waffles, toast, fruit, juice etc. excellent location to all of the stores which are literally across the street. We have stayed here in the past and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
Better control of the pool area from management and staff, extremely noisy and overcrowded, unable to access the pool area and hot tub area due to the overcrowding. Don't book pool area if you're not travelling with children
things went as we expected and no surprises or disappointments we were treated very well and the place was clean and quiet . Like the location as it is close to places we visit or shop I do not like being told how many characters I have to use that should be mine to determine not you will keep that in mind next time I see a request like this
Location is fantastic, right off the main thoroughfare-access to many stores. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms with updated amenities, pool, whirlpool. Overall happy with decision to stay here, would stay again.
Our suite was clean and adequately stocked. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would stay again. Felt safe and secure. The suite was more than a room as in most hotels. Amenities were very good. Thank you
Good location near lots of shopping and restaurants and easy to find off of the Interstate. The room was a good size with a separate bedroom and living room. The carpet was visibly soiled but since I requested a pet-friendly room this was not unexpected. There was plenty of room for my pet and all of her accessories. Standard continental breakfast. Pool area was in the midst of the rooms and quite noisy. By far the most irritating issue was the unreliable internet service - it randomly disconnected several times throughout the day.
I was assigned to a very nice and clean room so I slept very well for a change. The free breakfast was great. Even the free coffee was great. Good restaurants and shopping are nearby so I was very happy with my stay.
Excellent hotel. We had a suite poolside and very much enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was located between the bedroom and the couch area so there was the best possible sound separation. Room was spotless, comfortable bed and linens. The pool was a hit being a good temperature to enjoy a leisurely swim. The breakfast had many options. I was thrilled to enjoy the almond milk. Staff was professional, courteous, helpful and welcoming. Location just off highway and surrounded by shopping. Very easy to navigate and still quiet. Will book here again.
I am a Best Western Reward member so this pains me to say this. The hotel experience in Grand Forks was not good. Our room was full of flies. Not one, not two but we killed about 10 flies and more were still present. The carpet in our room was filthy. The bathroom floor was flooded after taking showers. The scrambled eggs from breakfast were hard and chewy. Ran out of good cinnamon toast. Flies were surrounding us in the dining area. Maybe it was a bad night. After this experience, I may consider other options when I visit.
Worst room I've ever stayed in by far. The carpets were filthy, the abundance of flies in the lobby and in the rooms was ridiculous! The sleeper sofa was not anything you could sit on and I doubt anyone would have wanted to sleep on it. Cmon' Best Western quit covering up your dated rooms and start replacing!
Great gal who checked us in. Labor day weekend with the grandkids. Flies were everywhere we sat...breakfast..pool...room. Asked for fly swatter. no luck. used a washcloth Fri sat sun. Had a vape guy who could have cared less. think staff ignored him. Don't understand guests deciding we should all enjoy their music at the pool....at 6:45 am when pool opens at 8am. Don't think staff has a camera in pool area. Rooms are spacious. Staff was always receptive to complaints. Do not believe upper management has given them enough power to correct problems. lighting in rooms is dim water pressure is low.
This is one of the nicest BW properties I have stayed at. It is always clean, quiet, well taken care of, modern, and fresh feeling along with having a great location to shopping, restaurants, and UND. The manager and her team are always super nice and they often remember previous guests. The rooms are very nice, extremely clean, and very comfortable. I have stayed at similar properties in GFK but I feel BW is the best choice for me.
Decided to come back and stay again at this property after a pleasant experience way back pre-Covid. We travelled as a family of four and booked the two bedroom suite. The room was enormous and served us very well. The kids each had their own bed and we had a separate one to ourself. Check in was quick - it was very busy but the young gentleman working there on July 13th was very helpful. Pool was great - we didn't personally use it but our kids really enjoyed it. Great pool side seating area to enjoy a coffee and watch the kids. Breakfast was fine - a couple of hot proteins, make your own waffle, and oatmeal, fruits etc. No problem finding something to eat. Hotel in a superb location to the interstate and many restaurants/shops. Only complaint was the wifi...not the greatest and kept dropping. Will be booking my return stay here once our holiday is done!
I come to this hotel frequently. I believe TR has been the only one to check me in. And honestly? I want to keep it that way!! Because no matter how hard my day was TR is quick to smile and quick to fix any concerns and/or issues a guest may have!! The man has an extensive supply of energy!! He is always working!! Whether you arrive during the day or night the odds are at some point during your stay, you will be greeted by TR!! A handsome young man with a happy face and smiling eyes, he will take care of you and your family with grace and expedience!! Not only that? I promise he will brighten your day…no matter how bad it was!!!
The hotel is well kept and clean and staff were friendly. The only downside was that room rates were hiked up because of the air show was going on this weekend. All the other hotels did the same thing so this is not unusual but you would think that the hotel industry has been hurting because of Covid and they would be less willing to annoy their guests.
The service at this hotel was excellent, would stay there again. The hotel just had quiet hours that I wish were more enforced. Rooms were clean. Food was good. The hotel was in a great location too so we were able to get the things we needed for our stay.
The room was okay. Spacious and comfortable beds, but outdated and in need of cosmetic repair. Carpet and furniture was dirty. Staff was friendly. Pool and hot tub were too crowded to enjoy due to multiple birthday parties. Poolside rooms are LOUD.
Overpacked pool, unsanitary public areas, mediocre breakfast, unfriendly staff and poor internet are not worth what this hotel costs. It was also super noisy with kids screaming and running down the hall. Staff did not seem to care and did nothing about continual parties and unsanitary conditions by the pool.
The Best Western Hotel is in a good location close to the major shopping area of Grand Forks, Lots of good restaurants nearby. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The hot tub was clean and hot with lots of towels on hand. All of the staff members were friendly and courteous. It made for an enjoyable getaway to Grand Forks.
Great location by all shopping and department stores on 32nd Avenue in Grand Forks. Mall is walkable and several restaurants are walkable as well. The dipped into the hot tub before we left in the morning and it was quiet and clean. The pool area is very nice and big enough for a family to sit and watch the pool, plenty of seating. We missed breakfast here but coffee is brewing all day. Very nice amenities with a convenience room with toiletries and snacks for sale. Beds are very comfy and clean and the hotel has a great layout. Parking is easy, would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is clean, spacious, and well equipped. Staff are friendly, courteous, and helpful. It is very well located to the Interstate 29 and other amenities. We didn't use the pool but it was a large, open area, nicely set up.
This hotel is close to Target (walking distance and Menards.) the breakfast is great and the pool area is nicely laid out. They have pool side rooms, nice if you have kids that want to swim all day. You don't have to worry about running down halls and getting lost. The staff here are so friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. Great parking. Our only choice when we visit grand forks
Great hotel. Friendly and professional staff.Very clean and nice rooms ! Nice pool and hot tub! Definitely enjoyed the stay and we'll be back soon. Great location with Texas Roadhouse nearby, where you can get the best ribs !!!
Rooms had black mold, bed skirts torn. Breakfast was a joke, with only white bread for toast, some type of ham pattie (puck like), and something that looked like eggs, but was square! Breakfast person not friendly when asked if bagels, wheat toast or English muffins. This was by no means a breakfast that BW's offer!
There was no bathtub in my room, and the carpet was a tad worn, however the room was clean and the staff were exceptional. I felt that breakfast was a bit lacking as there were no muffins, rolls or carb options other than white bread and a toaster. The jousting pillows were great fun as well! The location was wonderful, close to everything-shopping, restaurants and the Alerus Center.
I stayed at this hotel while out visiting the University of North Dakota. It was a comfy stay and all was in good order. Unfortunately, I had forgotten a pair of expensive earbuds in my room, and by the time I had realized, I had already returned home 5 hours away. I called the hotel and was told that the earbuds were found, and despite a few weeks wait due to a lack of an on-duty supervisor, I ended up receiving my earbuds back via USPS! I had lost all hope for receiving my earbuds, but the staff exceeded expectations in this regard. Huge thanks to you guys :) !
This is not a true Best Western Hotel if that is what you are looking for. There is no hot breakfast and the property in general is not up to traditional BW standards. Clean and safe but not the standards you wound expect from a Best Western
This was by far our best hotel stay ever. The clerk and manager at the time of our check in (11/12/21) went above and beyond our expectations and were more than gracious and helpful. We experienced a minor issue, brought it to the attention of the clerk, who without hesitation changed our room. The manager followed up with us, clarified a few thing and was more than helpful and gracious with how she handled everything. The hotel is centrally located to any and all shopping and food you might want(all within walking distance). Staff was polite, internet was fast and rooms and bathrooms were stocked and very clean. This is by-far the best hotel experience I've ever had and I will stay at BWHI any time I go to Grand Forks, specifically because of these two gals!
We were in town for a geocaching event and even though I did not take advantage of the special rate for our group when booking, the front desk personnel ran it through with the discount when they learned we were geocachers upon arrival without us even asking. That was good service! Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable and away from the pool. My husband wasn't a fan of the indoor pool because the smell of chlorine hits you immediately upon arrival. I got use to it. Staff were all very friendly and the breakfast offered was fine. We would recommend this BW and would return.
We were greeted by Dylan. It was evident that the hotel was short staffed but that didn't seem to affect Dylan as we have seen with other Hotel staff. He was courteous and professional. We saw him multitasking almost his entire shift when we were passing through. The hotel was in a great and convenient location close to the interstate and to different retail and restaurants. The room amenities were all functional. The bedding was comfortable, the ac worked just fine. The hotel was well kept inside and out. The room was really quiet and we were appreciative that though the pool was busy, we never heard any noise.
I was very impressed by this hotel. The location is perfect- walking distance to many restaurants and stores. My family loved the rooms around the pool - very easy to socialize among our group of 8. I was worried that having a room by the pool might be loud but it wasn't at all! I also appreciated the convenience of several doors leading to the parking lot. It made unloading/loading VERY easy. Overall a great stay. My next trip to Grand Forks will definitely include a stay at this hotel.
Very clean and comfortable, tons of room, fantastic price. Wi-Fi was good, breakfast was a little meager. There were some strange Plumbing noises, and some chlorine smell from the indoor pool. But the staff was very pleasant and at this price we would be very pleased to return.
Hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was nice and clean. We were able to check in early and got upgraded to a king suite poolside room. We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Grand Forks.
This is the second time in two years we have stayed at this property with extended family. Rates are reasonable and the property is always clean, well maintained, and up to date. Staff are second to none. We will visit again and will recommend to all.
Hotel was clean and comfortable , we had trouble with door lock and remote and both were taken care of as soon as possible the staff at this location are awesome!!!!! The hotel is also in a perfect part of town .
Stayed at this property and thoroughly enjoyed it, staff made it great! Loved the fact the property was pet friendly! Great location near shopping and hockey games, coffee was amazing and maids were on point. Management really went out of their way to be sure everything was taken care of between rushes. They really had their hands full and made it look easy!!
I've always had such good experiences here with staff and rooms. If I have ever had an issue with something not working correctly in the room, or something being dirty, it gets fixed right away with no fuss. The front desk staff has always been NOTHING BUT AMAZING. So friendly and welcoming regardless of how busy it is.
I'm going with a good rating because of the convenience of the location, Otherwise I would consider to be this to be average 3 for $100 per night hotel. Our room located on on the third floor had a toilet that continuously ran all day and night for four days. It was reported multiple times to the front desk, however no one fixed it. The room we stayed in was starting to show its age, carpet was worn and had dirty spots. Also, For the size of the hotel, the parking lot is extremely small and cramped in the afternoon. They had a wonderful COVID-19 breakfast set up in the morning, that was one of the highlights of our stay. Wi-Fi was offered And worked well. They were not enforcing the mask protocols for COVID-19 in the hotel. If that is important to you, beware. ND is very lax to these protocols.Next month we will be returning and trying a different hotel, however I would stay here again. Convenient to everything off of the main drag in Grand Forks. Give it a thumbs up if you read this.
Great hotel for the money. Service from the staff was excellent. Recommend staying. Room carpet could have been a little more clean and breakfast selection a little more diverse but other than those minor details it was a great stay.
Clean facility, nice pool area, friendly staff! I was very happy with the hotel, the price was reasonable, packaged breakfast was good, and staff was very helpful both at check in and check out. The hotel was safe and clean.
I got upgraded to a suite which is always a very nice experience having a seating area and a very spacious bedroom took the 2 queen beds as that was there best option. Staff polite professional and very helpful had a few questions and staff at Best Western I always do notice have great customer service. The amenities on site pool hot tub gym awesome I did enjoy the hot tub much rewarded after a long day driving. Breakfast is gradually changing isn't not what it used to be with the hot breakfast but it getting much better much appreciated. Will certainly return.
We visited Grand Forks to visit friends and family and had a wonderful experience. We stayed in a suite with two double beds that had a separate living area with a pullout bed. This room type was fantastic since we had many people to visit with and they could come over to catch up. Upon our arrival the room presentation was clean and crisp, housekeeping did a wonderful job. Annette (manager) and her staff were very welcoming and friendly throughout the entire stay. If you need a place to stay, definitely choose this hotel!
My family and I (plus dogs) stayed at the Best Western in Grand Forks for the first time this past weekend. We travel to GF a lot and have stayed at different hotels. Not the case anymore! This BW was awesome. We loved our room and the service rocked. We will be back to this hotel from now on!! Thanks for the great stay!
Awesome guest services, they stayed in touch with me and kept me informed of my reservation. Also offered me on-line price changes which helped me out in the long run. Suites were clean and kept clean, TV channels had a good line up of variety. Pool was adequate, hot tub could use some cleaning, and breakfast needs more variety than a warmed up burrito or breakfast sandwich.
Columbia mall adjacent. Lots of dining options nearby. Easy access to UND. Nice lobby area. Good breakfast options even during corona. We had king suite pool adjacent. Nice comfortable room with some extra space we needed due to gear. Too bad we couldn't use the pool/whirlpool facilities due to corona. Had a minor problem at check in, was promptly handled to our satisfaction.
Came for family, and rooms were clean, glad to have a breakfast bar in the morning, staff was very friendly. The check-in was very easy and fast. We will definitely be staying here again. To bad we weren't able to use pool due to COVID which was expected to be closed when we booked our room
As usual I had a wonderful experience at best Western. Although the coronavirus limited somethings it was still a very pleasant stay. The rooms and lobbies were clean and comfortable and the staff were amazing. Can't wait to return.
From the outside this looks like a newer hotel when in fact it is severly outdated. Our room was small, bathroom was tiny, lighting was bad. You can tell they've tried to do some improvements but it fell way below what we paid for the room.
We were there for robotics competition it was very clean and quiet despite all the kids.their breakfast was well stocked and maintained staff did a great job we will stay there again Great value at a reasonable price
Great stay, great price and super location. Close to shopping and restaurants. Close to main road but no noise from the street in the room, great sleep and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again.
The suite is very comfortable with a lot of room. The location is perfect with easy access to the Alerus center. A large selection of restaurants are within easy walking distance. The entire staff was efficient and pleasant.
Clean and friendly. I prefer softer pillows, but that is not a critique, just a note. Was very cold outside and my heater worked well. This trip qualified for tax exempt, and my bill was correct. Most locations don't get that correct at first.
Our room was beautiful with comfortable beds. Breakfast selections were great. Pool are was clean and hot tub was delightful. LocTuon is central to all shopping. The only downside was the pool area not being closed off and the noise traveled quite far. However the pool closes at 10 and then it was quiet.
My room was very clean. The bed was so comfortable, and I appreciated that it was quiet as well. Breakfast was excellent - for those who can eat the wide variety offered. I have food problems and only ate the breakfast meat, and warmed more food in my room microwave. The staff was helpful and courteous. I was pleased with the price and value for this stay.
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and always found it more than satisfactory. The staff is always helpful, the rooms clean, and the beds comfortable. On our last stay we had just learned of allergies within the family. Consequently, the Thursday night soup and salad wasn't doable for us. The manager went out of her way to make us a salad we could eat. You can't ask for more than that at a hotel! Whenever we need to do an overnight in GF, this is the place we go.
My family absolutely loves the service of this hotel. Very friendly staff and wonderful rooms. The staff are pleasant to work with as well when we needed items. The food is always great too! Our rooms were clean and the beds were awesome. Seriously my family's favorite hotel!
Nice hotel. Great location to local hotels and restaurants. Decent price and clean rooms! Check in was quick and easy as well as check out. The pool was very nice and the internet was fast and worked all the time. Will probably stay again.
Would have been better if the lot was cleared of snow so we didn't get stuck. We understand that there was a foot of snow but after 24 hours at least the driveway and lots could have been cleared. And the noise....wow..10 year olds running around at 2am, knocking on doors, horrible. And the parents...partying and not caring. Not necessarily a reflection of the hotel but still. Not a great stay overall. The rate was good though and they did go above and beyond when we were snowed in.
The staff here are out standing, clean comfortable rooms, breakfast is good. Recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good place to stay in Grand Forks. It is close to shoppign areas, and fuel. easy to access.
Went for our first stay at this hotel and was not impressed. Waited a good 20 min and had to go search for the front desk attendant to check in. Then get to our room and it was old and beat up. Dirty... carpet sure could use a good proper vacuum. Dirt ( chunks of white stuff) all along the bed and beside the entertainment unit. Then toilet wouldn't flush and over flowed all over the floor. Next room was a tad cleaner but they are small. No real entrance, walk in to your bed right there. Pool and hot tub were fine. I enjoyed it not being a 1000 degrees like they are set at most hotels. Heard others complain it wasn't hot enough though.. breakfast was ok, nothing special but something to fill your belly. Over all for the price I have had better stats at others in the area and won't be back.
A very nice motel, with a warm clean pool and hot tub, a very good breakfast. The room was very clean and comfortable, and everything was in working order. I would highly recommend this motel to anyone who is traveling or away from home, easy access to the I 29 interstate hwy
Our family loves staying at this hotel for hockey tournaments as the pool area is great! You can sit out in the pool area to socialize and the kids have so much fun! It is our first choice for Grand Forks!
nice clean pool and hottub, very friendly staff, hotel location perfect, great price. Greeted by staff upon arrival, check-in was very short and room location identified. Amenities discussed and location as well as pool hours . breakfast is a self serve and best ive seen for a free breakfast anywhere. ill definitly be back at this location soon.
I was greeted by a friendly young man who quickly and efficiently had me checked. He gave a couple suggestions for places to grab a bite from. We went with the Spicy Pie, a nearby pizza joint. This hotel has a pool and offers breakfast. Breakfast area was stocked well and kept clean. Room was clean, bed was comfortable and WiFi was pretty good. If coming through and needing to stop in the area I would return to this hotel. Standard rooms are a bit on the small side but laid out well enough that I didnt have to squeeze around everything. Good price, although my room is slightly smaller than many BW rooms I've stayed in. (I was right through the doors from the lobby.)
We stayed here for parents weekend at UND. It's a nice property with a large pool. There are rooms around the pool area so this would be a good choice if you have kids. The breakfast was good and the hotel was clean. We had a poolside room on the second floor and the window overlooking the pool didn't have adequate curtains to shut out the bright lights. I'm a light sleeper so the light coming into the room kept me awake.
Great hotel, would recommend to anyone. Room was great, very clean and furniture was nice. No bathtub but the shower was amazing. Pool area was very nice, not a very child friendly pool, no toys or anything, but very clean and an amazing hot tub. Staff was very friendly even with the unexpected influx of people due to the storm.
The hotel was very nice and clean. It has been renovated. The beds were super comfy. There is a nice pool area. I would definitely return to this hotel. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good but there wasn't a selection of fruit which would have been a nice touch, other then that it was a good breakfast.
I've stayed at several different hotels in the area and this was by far my least favourite, so I don't understand how it rates #1 here. The room was tiny, the beds were just doubles, and it just felt cramped and uncomfortable. Plus the curtains facing the pool were falling off and we couldn't get any privacy. I would prefer staying at any of the other six hotels I've stayed at over this one. So far, the Holiday Inn Express or Hampton Inn and suites have been the best in town, in my experience.
I stayed here one night on a solo trip. The hotel has recently been remodelled and it's fantastic! Check-in was fast and the staff member was friendly and went over all the particulars like when breakfast is, where the elevators are, etc. My room was exceptionally clean. I love the modern shower. The bed was comfortable. I've stayed in different hotels before where the temperature controls are wonky and don't seem to work so you end up freezing all night. Thankfully this was not the case! I was able to keep the room at a comfortable temperature. The pool and hot tub are in a Courtyard within the pool. My room wasn't overlooking it (thank goodness) but I can see how that would be a draw for families. If you want a quiet room, ask to be away from the hotel. I didn't swim in the pool but I sat in the hot tub for a little bit until I realized there were long dark hairs floating around and I noticed some black flakes in the bottom of the hot tub. I left shortly after that. As for the location, it is close to restaurants, shopping, convenience stores, and gas stations. It's close to the highway as well. I would definitely stay here again.
Had a great time meeting friends and a good variety of restaurants in the area to choose from. Plenty of parking and shopping is just a few steps away from the hotel. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
After a couple of nights on the road at other hotels (and little quality sleep) it was great to find the Best Western where we were greeted with a smile and checked-in quickly. The lobby and the room were both more than expected. Wonderful bed, quiet room and excellent ventilation/HVAC system. We have also stayed at the Best Western Route 66 in Springfield, MO and had a wonderful stay there. I think Best Western will be our "go-to" in the future.
Love this hotel , 2 blocks off highway, very nice neat, very friendly, very impressed with breakfast, only complaint is fan in bathroom is really loud and no way to turn off when light is on and the water is very hard.
We booked a main floor pool side king suite and we loved it. It had a seating room with a pullout couch and a TV, and then a separate bedroom towards the back with a comfortable bed and REALLY nice sheets which seems rare in most hotels. We didn't hear a peep all night even though this is a pet friendly hotel and we were right beside the pool. There is no bathtub in this suite, just a shower which was fine for us. The ONLY thing I could complain about was that the bath towels were pretty thin and really small.. otherwise it was great!
I have stayed at this hotel many times and prefer it to anywhere else. Always a quiet nights sleep and comfortable. It's like a home away from home to me. Staff is excellent and breakfast is always good.
This hotel is our go-to choice when we stay in Grand Forks. Mostly because the pool is awesome. The temperature is nice and warm, it's clean, and a great size for a hotel. We also love the free breakfast. It has great selection, appealing to our whole family. The staff is very friendly and welcoming!
Went with a group of friends and we stayed at this hotel and it was great. Very clean. Bed and pillows were super comfortable. Rooms were clean and pool area was clean. Towles were always stalked as well. Great location as well.
Had a good stay except for noisey ignorant people above us. The hotel lowered the rates of all 3 of our nights there because of it. Thank you best western!! Highly recommend this if you're into shopping and enjoy good breakfasts and very helpful and friendly staff.
booked direct with hotel. great rate, and was upgraded to a king suite. clean and comfortable. we will be use this hotel again.hotel will match or beat any on line price. Have already recomended this place to my 3 children and there familys and to my friends
The hotel has recently been remodelled. The rooms are up to date and modern. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable. A great nights stay!!! The day manager was wonderful, she went out of her way to make our stay memorable.
Great rooms for the family. The rooms are large and most rooms are suites. Although the towels are small and there are no tubs and the carpet is older it was overall a good hotel. The pool was nice and the hot tub was large for the busy hotel, but only open until 10 pm
The bed was very comfortable. The shower and restroom was very clean. We love coffee, I did feel the coffee should be a little better quality. Continental Breakfast was fine. The staff was very knowledgeable. I listed it as business trip since I was helping with a funeral for family. Great rest
Staff were friendly, Room clean. It is very close to so many things to see and do. Many restaurants and of course my Menards is just across the street. The Hobby Lobby is another must to spend a couple of hours (or more) to tweak the creative ideas.
We love this hotel. The location is perfect, the staff are great, and the rate is very good. We have stayed here before and will be stopping here again in a week on our return home. The hotel is pet friendly and our little dog loves this hotel as well.
I drove 6hrs to attend an Uncle's Funeral, which was at 2pm, I called ahead to see if there was a chance to check in early so I could change and freshen up. The front desk went up and asked the cleaning crew to get the room ready by 1pm, and they sure did! Kudos to the entire hotel staff. The room was great and clean. Thanks being flexible on a tough and long day!
Location is good, restaurants nearby as well as mall. Stay was comfortable, had pool side room. Thought the room carpet could have been cleaner. Would likely stay again but cleanliness and appearance is important, I would assume that not all rooms would be like I described.
We are pleased to rate our stay at this hotel with 5 stars. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and courteous, and the complimentary breakfast was very good. We cancelled our reservations at another hotel because of very poor conditions at that hotel. BW was able to provide three rooms for our family at the last minute. Thanks BW.
There are often things in the room that are in disrepair - bathroom door doesn't lock, suite door only closes half way, window coverings don't block out the light, noise carries easily through walls - BUT we continue to stay here because the staff is always friendly and its a great place to stay when bringing a dog with. I always appreciate the nightlight in the bathroom so you don't get blinded by having to turn the main light on during night time uses. Plus the pool area is fun for the kids.
Beds were very comfortable. Lobby and Staff were warm and welcoming. Rachel was excellent and provided amazing customer service. Kids had fun at the pool and adults enjoyed the pool side area. And they're dog friendly! We definitely recommend this location. Thanks for a great visit. JDK
Very impressed with a suite under $100. Check in was easy, friendly personnel and a good breakfast. Room was spacious, bed comfortable and hot shower. The only downside were the less then quality towels.
We were really pleased with this Best Western property. Easy check in & out, spacious room that was quiet & clean and very nice breakfast offering. The room was fully equipped with fridge & microwave. A good choice in Grand Forks.
We stayed in a very nice suite at a great price. It was very clean with a comfortable king size bed. The included breakfast was reasonable - not fantastic but no complaints. The freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in the lobby were excellent. :) The location was easy to find and surprisingly quiet, the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is located in a great spot. Lots of parking available. We were upgraded to a King Suite on arrival which was a nice surprise. The room was decorated very modern and was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning included hot food as well. The pool area is very nice. Our interactions with Front Desk was great, they were very helpful and friendly to deal with. I would stay here again and I would recommend it to others.
Very clean, friendly staff. Nice breakfast. Pool and jacuzzi very very relaxing. I love all the modern updates all Best Westerns have done over last couple years! I will keep BW on the top of my list fir all future trips. Thanks for a very nice stay.
Our plans for EV charging fell through in Grand Forks, so we approached the Best Western to see if we could use it, even though we weren't staying there. They said yes, we offered $20/$30, they said no - they are just happy to help out! That very easily sealed the fact that we'll come back to Best Western going forwards. Really friendly, couldn't help more, that's (prospective future) customer service! Keep up the great work. Your staff couldn't have been nicer.
Stayed here for one night in July as we passing through on a long drive. We booked this hotel in advance, owing to it's positive reviews on Tripadvisor, and also the rate - which was excellent. We travelled as a family of four, with two young children under the ages of six. Check in was very quick - we had prepaid the reservation so it was a little faster in that sense. The gentleman at the front desk who greeted us on the evening of the 8th was very polite and helpful, and gave us good recommendations on places to eat and get some items we had forgotten, We booked a king room which was nice and clean. (Hindsight I would have booked a suite for the larger room size so the kids could spread out more). The bed was very comfortable and helped provide a good night's sleep. We did use the pool and hot tub for a while. Both were good - the layout of the pool is unique in that it is not in a dedicated enclosed room, rather it's in a large common area. Neat setup. Our kids enjoyed splashing around, but the only downfall was that its not a gradual entry pool, and that made it tricky for our 2 year old to get it and out (we made it work!) Breakfast was great - there were hot items - waffles, sausage, eggs - and lots of cold items to choose from. Definitely worth enjoying before you leave the hotel. Plenty of seating as well. Check out was a breeze and once again everyone was very friendly and helpful. They did have a notice on the checkout desk stating that if they didn't ask you to give a trip advisor review, they would gift you 1500 best western points. They never did ask me, but I didn't press the issue since it was relatively busy at the checkout desk. Overall - great hotel with a superb location and excellent rate. I would personally book a suite next time I return for the extra space. Can't go wrong with staying here. Thanks!
I had not stayed in this hotel previously, even though I am a long-time BW gold card member. The hotel is located close to the Interstate and close to restaurants, shopping and the Alerus Center. The welcome received by the receptionist upon check-in was extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. She recognized my reservation as a gold card member and immediately offered us upgrade amenities. Shortly after we had settled in, the receptionist phoned to inquire if the suite met our satisfaction. A nice touch! The hotel recently underwent renovations and gives you an immediate clean and quality impression. Our pool side suite was tastefully decorated and furnished and featured an extremely comfortable King bed, soft pillows and a welcoming decor. The suite featured a nice leather couch and armchairs, as well as ample storage. The suite also featured a small fridge, microwave, and coffeemaker. Two large television sets completed the furnishing. The bathroom was somewhat small, although very clean, but only had a shower stall. It was somewhat disappointing not to have a bathtub. Best Western hotels at all its locations attempts to minimize water use. In this hotel it unfortunately resulted in a rather weak shower spray. The overall cleanliness and comfortableness of the suite was excellent. The hotel at all times was quiet. The pool area is comfortable with lounge chairs and table and an ample supply of towels. The pool itself is small and not conducive to swimming laps. However, I observed a nice feature that should be available in more hotels. This pool features a Hoyer type mechanical chair, that effortlessly assists mobility challenged people into or out of the pool. Breakfast features the standard continental fare. Cereals, toast, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, jams, coffee and tea, etc were all plentiful . A complimentary morning newspaper was also offered. We also noticed that this particular hotel has an all inclusively hiring policy. The staff consisted of employees of all races and ages, including seniors. Very impressive! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this hotel and will definitely return on a next visit to Grand Forks.
this hotel has been recently renovated. everything was very clean. staff were very friendly. the location was great. We had 2 teenage boys in our room. they had the freedom to walk across to target and over to the mall.
Staff very helpful and rooms have all been recently redone....enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was good. Close to everything....will stay their again. the price was reasonable. When we go thru here again this will be a stop. When we arrived and got to our room...the front dest phoned to see that everything was satisfactory...not too many places have done this when we have travelled.
This was my first stay at a best western and I will say it was disappointing. You can see there was an attempt to up grade the facility at one point but unfortunately it was done by less than experienced trades for example: granite backsplash longer than sink, lights flicker like a disco ball if the bathroom fan/light is turned on, if you have a shower the water comes out of the shower handle. The cleaning staff really should be evaluated, you should not see a walking path on the ceramic bathroom floor and the carpets need to be seriously washed! There is a sign at the front that indicates that if staff doesn't ask for a review to be left on trip advisor that you would be given 1500 point for hotel members, well I wasn't asked and I wasn't going to ask for them either. I am not writing this to be negative but for the price and my experience I would not recommend the stay. There is still more I could list.
Hotel was clean, smelled nice, staff were very accommodating. The room was beautiful, bed was comfy. Decor was very nice. Hallway was quiet all night. Air conditioning was perfect. Just an overall great stay.
Excellent hotel, wood highly recommend to all travellers. We had a King suite which was excellent. The breakfast was great, with eggs and sausage. The WIFI is excellent. Overall it is and great place to stay.
This is a nice hotel. They have very accommodating and friendly staff. Our room was clean, nice pool area and very reasonably priced! Would stay again! Would be a fun place to do a family event with hotels surrounding the pool area.
The building is quite modern with step-in showers and modern finishes. Although in a highly developed retail area, the grounds are well keep and grass neatly trimmed. The parking lot was well lit. The lobby is clean and neat.
Wonderful place for buisness n even for family to stop in and swim or even jus enjoy a quiet time on the cozy beds with family and friends I highly recommend this property n housekeepers n front desk staff stayed on top of everything n the breakfast was amazing!!!!!!
When checking in at approximately 9 pm I had to wait for half an hour because there was no one at the desk. The room was terribly dusty and much in need of dusting. The shelving where my clothing was supposed to be stored had a thick layer of dust on it. There was no hot water for more than half my stay. Staff said they would put me up at a nearby hotel for no additional charge, which would mean that I have the inconvenience to pack and travel because they can't provide hot water. Unacceptable.
We have stayed at this facility multiple times over the last few years and they have never failed to provide us with excellent service along with a first rate room at competitive rates. We always try to book a suite because it offers us a sitting room with a TV and the a king size bed in the other room with a TV. The mattress on the bed was good quality and firm. The hot breakfast served in the morning not only provides you with choice of hot items but also fresh fruit, yogurt, English muffins. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the Grand Forks area. Quality shopping and restaurants are minutes away.
We like this hotel because of its location, close to Menards and some nice restaurants. This time though there were some things that we were disappointed with: there was no tea available in the lobby; the bathroom fan ran constantly & noisy when the bathroom light was on; the room was so hot & didn't cool off even with A/C; the breakfast area was a bit dirty & the food was not replenished properly. Staff are always very friendly. We like this hotel & will give it another try but if we experience the same we will find somewhere else to stay.
Best Westerns are usually a hit and miss but this one is definitely a hit. Very friendly check in and an extensive appy hr just as we arrived. We were walking distance from a few restaurants and malls, could not ask for more.
Amazingly clean, well maintained hotel with excellent and friendly staff. Basic amenities but great location and very fair pricing. We stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed the breakfast and made good use of the pool. Close to shops and restaurants
Well renovated hotel. Excellent , convenient location. Quick check in and checkout process. Rooms are tastefully appointed. No tacky and useless decorations. Toilet and bath have been modernized to good taste. Rooms are amply sound-insulated as well. Indoor swimming pool was clean, staff was not behind in providing, replenishing towels for the pool guests. Breakfast is always of good quality although guests will probably appreciate a more varied selection.
Visited Grand Forks for one night and stayed at the Best Western Harvest Inn. Each and every time we return we continue to be more impressed with the hotel property as well as their greatest asset, their staff who truly make you feel like you are at home. Annette and her team are simply the best! We look forward to a return visit in a few weeks. If you happen to stay on a Thursday night, they hosted one of the best Manager's reception we have ever seen. Again, another small example of going the extra mile for their guests.
Recently in Grand Forks for 24 hours. The property is easy to find. It has been refurbished. Comfortable beds, room away from the pool area is the quietest. A decent place to stay. Did not eat breakfast on property. We decided to go elsewhere. Fine for a quick stay.
Had to check in early due to an April blizzard, they were very helpful and understanding. Had to check out late the next day because the highways were closed, very understanding and accommodating. Otherwise, also a very nicely kept hotel.
Do you want to have a place where you can be comfortable? Do you want to feel special? Well then this is the place. The moment you walk in, you will be treated with respect, kindness, and care. You are all amazing.
this place is awesome (2nights for a hockey tournament) - we had room #125 (or #128) which was right in front of the pool and hot tub - so if you need it to be quiet then pool side wont be a good location. The room itself had 2 queen comfortable beds, mini fridge, a closet, and the bathroom was very clean. They mentioned that it was renovated because we stayed here before and it didn't look like that back then. Front desk super friendly and the breakfast had hot and cold items. Location is great - lots of restaurants walking distance like Texas Roadhouse , Chick Fil A.
Great place to stay. Amazing The breakfast very good choices for kids and adults and healthy items. Very clean and very friendly and helpful staff. Great dinner for the guests on Thursday. Pool and hot tub were very clean. Lots of towels and overall very good service.
They went out their way to ensure as a customer I had the best stay possible. The staff were very courteous and attentive. I would certainly recommend this Best Western to any visiting this area. They make you feel at home.
They did a super job of renovating this hotel to “like new” condition. Room was beautiful. Although we didn't use the pool area, it appeared really clean and welcoming. Coffee and cookies upon arrival were great. Breakfast and breakfast area were also great. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.
Awesome staff and very clean rooms. Breakfast had a number of different options and the hot food was hot, the cold food was cold and a very nice dining area. Pool and hot tub area kept clean. Overall had a very good stay.
The staff at the Best Western Hotel in Grand Forks make this hotel special. They are always looking out for the customer, and always are trying to ensure that your stay is exceptional. I always stay there whenever i am in Grand Forks on business.
Awesome stay very clean hotel and super friendly staff Great breakfast selection and assortment of food very close to amenities and shopping centers Had a great sleep due to awesome pillows Hot tub and pool areas were safely laid out and housekeeping maintained the floor areas
I stayed for an evening due to a business trip and because all of extreme cold and snow wind up having my steaks tended a second night. The staff was excellent the wife I worked great, the pool and hot tub were very nice, the computer and printer we're very good, and breakfast was outstanding. they also have a machine that makes fresh coffee 24 hours a day and it was excellent. The room was outstanding. It was spacious and comfortable, had to televisions, a very nice bathroom and shower, and a large comfortable bed. I actually wound up watching the Superbowl on my living room TV ant although the game was boring the large quality flat screen made it nice to watch. Great stay and I am looking forward to staying there again on my next trip to Grand Forks.
This well located, reasonably priced Hotel has a Tesla destination charger. Hotel is fairly modern with a nice pool, jacuzzi, nice lobby, wifi, lobby computer and a decent included breakfast. There is lots of free on site parking. Staff is friendly and marvelous. Rooms are a nice size and very comfortable. They are quiet. This is not the best hotel in Grand Forks. It is middle of the road and well worth its modest price. They matched the Hotels.com sale price. I can easily recommend this hotel.
During a Grand Forks deep freeze we were very happy with our three nights at this Best Western. Despite the cold outside, our stay was warm and staff appeared to be working hard to make up for the cold. We got an upgrade to a poolside King suite (being a Rewards Member) without having to ask, and the hotel was clean and comfortable despite the frozen world outside. There were a few minor issues (our rooms were too warm!?), but nothing that couldn't be explained by the weather and the probable resulting lack of staff. Breakfast was good, but could use more variety, and the Thursday Manager's Reception was excellent with make-your-own tacos in a bag with lots of toppings, dessert, wine and beer. Location for shopping (mall and big box stores) and many chain restaurants is perfect, and within walking distance (during warmer weather).
Everything was clean and well taken care of. The beds were comfortable and the service was great! The front desk called to make sure everything was satisfactory and then we didn't require anything additional. If you're thinking about booking in the area, this would be a great place to stay!
The Best Western of Grand Forks is one of the cleanest and most accommodating hotels I have stayed in in a long time! The staff was incredible and the grounds were absolutely perfect. I will stay there again.
I have stayed at this location multiple times. Kate and Clyde were extremely helpful and they went the extra mile to make everything great!! Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Grand Forks!! The breakfast was great and the hotel is very clean and close to a lot of shopping and restaurants.
We stayed on a Hockey weekend with this being our first visit to this hotel. Easy check in. Lobby spacious and comfortable. Breakfast area clean with nice variety of food. Scrambled eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal and yogurt. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice decor with tile floors in bathroom. Bed comfortable as well. Only complaint was the slow WiFi. Was slow in room and also lobby. Great location, just off of I-29 with lots of shopping and restaurants nearby.
I thought I had booked a suite for 3 adults and one child but upon check in I was told I had a standard room reservation. The manager was very kind and upgraded my reservation at no extra charge although the mistake was mine. Quiet rooms, friendly staff and my son had fun at the pool. Housekeeping took extra care handling my son's stuffed animals, a small gesture that meant a lot. Would definitely stay again.
Overall a decent hotel at a decent price. Mainly positives, such as a very comfortable bed, and a nice pool/hot tub area. Morning breakfast was your usual fare, DIY waffles, bacon, scrambled eggs, etc. We had a Poolside King Suite. Other than the bed, the rest of the furniture, and the room itself felt a bit dated. Fitness room had your basic equipment (dumbbells, cardio machines). Friendly staff, no complaints there. Not fancy, but if you're main goal is a good nights sleep that doesn't break the bank, the BW Harvest Inn is a good option.
Every staff member I spoke to was friendly, welcoming and very helpful. The room was clean and in great shape. Breakfast was a great combination of hot and/or cold items and was the perfect way to start the day. I'll be back.
Great staff, reasonable rates. Only hotel I use. Never a problem. Food and coffee are a bonus.this hotel has a gym, pool and hot tub. In room bathtubs are available. Beds are super comfortable.. and great suite to
Check-in/check-out was fast and easy. Room was well decorated and very quiet. The beds were comfy with plenty of nice fluffy pillows. Internet connection was good. Breakfast was good with plenty of selections - hot/cold cereal, bread, English muffins, mini muffins, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausages/ham, waffle, milk, juice, coffee, tea, and fruits. We were there for four days, and there was only one morning with ham and bacon, and the last three days were sausages (could have varied a bit). Staff were nice and courteous, always ready to help out. We had a wonderful experience overall and will definitely stay here again.
This hotel is awesome. They are so accommodating and kind. The rooms are clean, good breakfast, helpful staff! We always stay here when doctoring in GF. We also stay here when family join together because it's a clean, reasonably priced hotel.
As Choice Priveleges members we tend to stay at Choice properties about 98% of the time. Due to unforeseen circumstances we were in Grand Forks needing a place to stay. Booked sight unseen, this property was a happy surprise. Clean, spacious and well kept with professional staff. Check in was efficient and our request of a quiet room was pleasantly accommodated. The bed was very comfortable and room well laid out. Complimentary Breakfast was good: eggs, sausage, oatmeal, fruit breads, etc. nice touch to have cheese and salsa available for your eggs. The pool, although we didn't use it was beautiful. The fitness center has up to date equipment and was very clean. Overall, a highly recommended stay!
Easy check in and friendly staff. Our room was by the pool and big hot tub. A little noisy when kids are in the pool. A big window looking out onto the pool made the room feel that much bigger. Nice big tv, big fridge and workable microwave. Bathroom was small but served its purpose.
Excellent hotel to stay bat - rooms clean, service great, nice pool and all staff courteous and breakfast more that suitable.. Manager provides excellent service. Thursday nights, the Hotel provided a light supper with complimentary drinks etc. (Beer and Wine.)
Only place I stay when traveling.. wonderful staff and rooms are amazing.. I would recommend anyone to stay at this location when you are here you are treated like family... the staff are always willing to go the extra mile.
Every time we have stayed at this hotel we have had nothing but excellent service. the staff is very friendly and accomodating .The thursday night social is a very nice touch and we always enjoy it. The pool and hot tub area is always clean and tidy
Nice room but could use a thorough cleaning. Beds ok and sheets were acceptable. Lamp shades dusty as well as microwave and fridge. Bathroom wall dirty. When I indicated I wanted the bed sheets changed, they weren't. The open area was messy most of the time and staff could easily picked up. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
They exceeded my expectations! That does not happen usually. Great, friendly staff and so willing to help with anything. I will definitely return to them when I visit Grand Forks again. I could not be happier.
We stopped off for one night with a points stay in July during our summer holiday. Family of 5 so we got one of their "suite" rooms. Check in went without a glitch, the room was updated and the suite was great as it had a separate area with a pull out couch and TV. Our oldest had that area to himself and the remaining four slept in the main section (either doubles or queens). Tons of restaurants and shopping options just outside of the hotel which we enjoyed. Hotel was clean, service was smooth and we had a comfortable one night stay, that's all we could ask for!
We stayed for one night while travelling through to our destination and again 1 week later on our way back. We had our small dog with us. The staff were great and even had a treat to give our pup! The room was spacious and clean with a sitting area and separate bedroom with king bed. There was a fridge and microwave, desk, sofa and chair. The pool area and hot tub were well maintained and warm. The breakfast was very nice with hot selections. It was within walking distance of the Columbia Mall and many restaurants. WiFi was free and very good. Very nice, quiet stay for a very reasonable price.
Our check in was a little early but the staff was excellent at helping us out by allowing us to use to the pool well we waited for our rooms. They checked in on us to make sure we were good or if we need anything. Then on checkout they asked again if everything was good and if there was anything we needed. The customer service was excellent. I haven't seen that type of service in a long time.
Great motel. great staff, perfect location. We were very happy with this motel and would definitely recommend this motel. The room were assigned was very nice and the motel location is close to loads of restaurants and shopping. It was easy to get to and easy to head out the next day on our way East.
Quietest hotel I've ever stayed in. No hallway noise. Never heard anyone above or below either, no doors shutting. Bathroom has granite countertop but small surface to get ready. Awesome glass shower. However....Bathroom fan is insanely LOUD. Cannot have a conversation from bathroom if its on and cannot sneak into bathroom to use it in morning because Fan comes on with light switch & wakes everyone up. This was super annoying. Great room though overall. And breakfast was pretty good too. Great value for $77 a night !!
We decided to make reservations on our way in from Minnesota. While en route we hit a deer. I called and spoke to Angie who held the room. The whole staff has been very accommodating and made our stay worth it. We will definitely stay here again if in the area.
Great customer service, clean rooms, big soft comfortable beds, pool area was a bonus, clean and well kept and the hot tub was hot! Hot breakfast is always a hit with us and this one was good, not great but good.
This location tries to go above and beyond to take care of their guests ! We were upgraded and the room was clean, bed comfortable and they checked in nightly to make sure we are OK .. Annette was the most professional manager by far. The breakfast staff was friendly and attentive making sure all guests were taken care of and made sure to interacting with all the guests. . I would say that although the breakfast was fine these hotels need to tweak it slightly each day as folks stay on average 1-3 day's and it gets boring really quick !
We just spent two nights at the Best Western Harvest Inn and Suites in Grand Forks. We had a very enjoyable stay. The check in staff was friendly, prompt, and efficient. Kate even called our room after we checked in to make sure everything in our room was ok. Our room was comfortable and clean. Nice hot shower and soft fluffy towels. Breakfast was the standard scrambled eggs, cereal, toast, yogurt and waffles. Our checkout was also friendly, fast, and efficient. We will stay there again in the future, without a doubt!
Early flight, needed to stay in Grand forks. BW nice choice. They take care of their rewards member, they ensure things are good in the room. Nice and clean facilities, comfortable bed. Will stay again
We stayed here one Sat. night. We were impressed with the well mannered young man who checked us in. We were allocated a clean comfortable room, we had a good nights sleep. We enjoyed our breakfast, many choices and well stocked.
The person working the front desk was lovely and provided us with a fun check in experience. Our room was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable, and the husband really enjoyed the breakfast buffet. Overall a good value!
Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was OK. Pool is a little chilly but didn't stop us from swimming.. I would stay again if I came through. Hotel was quiet for the most part. Staff took care of most problem right away (TV to loud during the late night )
The bathroom was very dirty. Did not stay for breakfast. The area had little to no food available and was not clean. We decided to go elsewhere for breakfast. This was our first stay and likely our last. The employees were nice.
When we come to ND it's related to UND student. We have been staying at the Hilton until we had a poor experience. Trying the Best Western for the first time and I plan to stay again. Clean and up to date property with professional staff and free breakfast. The location is just fine with the mall just across the way.
The hotel itself is clean and updated. We were able to check in 2 hours early cause we had an infant with us. Had to switch rooms the 2nd night due to excessive noise above us. Little insulation between rooms.
After a devastating injury to our daughters leg she was unable to be transported home after surgery due to the length of the trip. We took a room at the Best Western for two weeks to care for her. The staff met our every need and were extremely helpful and made sure we had what we needed. Staff made a difficult time easier for us.
We came down from winnipeg to do some shopping and looked for a hotel with a good rating and reasonably priced. Located near the mall and the box stores as well as restaurants is a bonus. Staff was friendly and accommodating, they offered us a free upgrade as we were 4 adults to a room. Much appreciated. Rooms are nice and clean and modern looking. Hotek has a nice indoor pool but we didn't get a chance to use it. Free wifi and breakfast. Would definitely stay again.
very reasonable, clean, updated, would book again.close to shopping, food. As nice as a hampton, easy on ,easy off the interstate, gas station next door.Staff was pleasant, obviously had some training.Rate was as booked
Love Best Western. Room great. Staff wonderful. Breakfast included is always tasty and has a great variety. Hotel located in great part of Grand Forks, easy access to everything. The décor of the hotel has been updated and is very relaxing. As well as the A/C worked really well. We go to Grand Forks as it is an quick and easy getaway from Winnipeg. The Best Western makes it easy and enjoyable. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best we have had. There is fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon (some mornings) , ham and sausage patties. Make your own pancakes and waffles. As well as ta variety of breads for toast. I am probably missing something. And the coffee is great.
We just spent 3 night at the Best Western Harvest inn. We arrived late in the afternoon with our 2 dogs and check in was a breeze. We had a King suite on the 2nd floor over looking the pool. The room was spotless and the extra sitting are was real nice. We used the pool everyday and was nice with it being so hot outside. The breakfast area was roomy and had plenty to eat for us in the morning. The staff were very helpful with our dogs and even gave them treats! The hotel is in walking distance to many shops and good places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the hotel, and will return if we go back to Grand Forks
Great Hotel in the heart of everything, shopping restaurants, all major stores. Hotel is very clean and has comfortable beds. This is our new hotel in Grand fork and will be back for sure. I highly recomend.
Stayed here 1 night with pets and a travel trailer. Check in was quick and easy, and front desk staff was very friendly and a pleasure to deal with. Had a pool side room (228). Was a bit humid, but once I set the thermostat into the low 60s, it did cool down. Maybe the cleaning staff should do this when cleaning? The room is clearly just updated and is very modern and clean. We could not hear the pool patrons at all, which is a testament to the work to update this beautiful property. The carpet has stains which are a bit unsightly, but didn't detract from my comfort. Beds are comfy and clean with just enough pillows. I think 4 should be standard on a queen, not 3. I'm confident that I could have received more if required. Close to anything you could need. The parking lot is a bit cramped but that's not a big deal. Overall a great hotel. Not sure how to fix the humidity issue, and maybe update the carpets (I'm not the first review here to notice this). 10/10 would recommend to friends and family, and will return!
My wife and I decided to stay here on our way to Winnipeg and this was a great stopover. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We paid a fair price here. Our room was big and spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were fresh and clean. The hotel is easily accessible from I-29 at Exit 138. And there are quite a few stores and restaurants nearby for added convenience. We will definitely stay here again
Quiet and clean. Close to restaurants and shopping. Pool and hot tub was warm and clean.Experienced no issues, friendly staff. Already booked another stay for an upcoming event in the area. Felt it was a good value for our money.
We had a great stay here. The front desk staff were so helpful! Really went above and beyond to help us out and answer our questions. Room was comfortable and pool was nice. Overall a great stay, would recommend
Updated hotel with safe parking and close proximity to food and shopping. Hotel was very clean with exception of over filled trash cans that no one seemed to want to empty. Really liked the breakfast area and great selection of food. Our poolside room was VERY warm and humid. I set the thermostat at it's lowest setting, 63 degrees, and the fan on it's highest setting. This helped some, but still wasn't comfortable. I have to speculate they have mold problems with humidity this high in the rooms. Do not stay poolside. We would definitely stay here again, just not poolside.
First off I want to thank Kate and Hannah for making me feel welcomed and upgrading me to a suite!!! This room was the cat's @zz!!! So clean and large. Had a living room with a TV, sofa, chair and desk with a comfy office chair, too. Extra bedding in closet for the sofa bed. The bathroom was all inclusive and the towels were oversize and soft!! The king size bed was so comfy and the linens weren't scratchy; and lots of pillows!! The bedroom was a totally separate room with a door to close for privacy and also had a TV. The breakfast was GREAT, you don't see fresh grapefruit cut in half and wrapped separately on ice very often. Also had a pancake machine. One day they had sliced smoked ham with the eggs! Very nice assortment and something for every taste. Very well maintained breakfast. The pool area is very relaxing and enough area to sit and enjoy a card game if you wanted.
Hotel is clearly older, but has all been renovated. Room was mostly clean, lots of stains on carpet and bathroom tub grout was gross looking. Everything else was clean. Overall, clean and had comfortable beds. Small room and tiny bathroom.
Stayed for two nights. Nice sized room with king sized bed. As advertised which is nice. Bathroom a bit small, but did the trick. Pool area nice with several tables and chairs. Kept clean. Free breakfast was also pretty decent and offered enough for a quick breakfast. Location was great, close to most of the outlet stores and the mall. I forgot an item in the room. I figured no point in calling, but I did anyways. Hotel found my item and have mailed it back. I was very impressed with that as I've had similar situations at other hotels and they were no help. All in all I would definitely stay here again when in Grand Forks.
The first time we stayed we had a king suite and the second time we had a double. For four people the King Suite was a lot bigger. The bathroom fan never shuts off so if someone in your room is trying to talk to you while getting ready in the bathroom, you can't hear them. Bed are comfortable and staff are very friendly. Breakfast was average.
Stopped in on the dr be south to stay the night. The hotel is right off the highway and very close to restaurants, shopping, gas and Starbucks. Jacob checked us in and was super pleasant - even took the time to show us a room before we booked. Rooms are very clean and nicely updated with very large showers and a separate bedroom area. Breakfast offered warm scrambled eggs and no sausages or bacon (or any meat) but it's free! It was enough to get us on our way.
We stayed at this hotel for 1 night on our way home from Phoenix. Price was reasonable; rooms are recently renovated and the bed was very comfortable. Disappointed that pool was only open until 10pm and free continental breakfast was only from 6-9am. We didn't get to do either.
This was my first time in this hotel since the remodel, everything was very clean and appeared to be new. The staff seems to take true pride in their work and in guest satisfaction. I will be staying here again when I am staying in the area
was there for a friends weekend. Our kids came back with first degree burns because of the chlorine, bleached bathing suits and tarnished silver jewellery. When speaking with manager, I was told that it wasn't their pool. We were 9 families. All of which had issues with the chlorine in one form or another.
was very pleased with our 2 night stay, very fast and friendly service, clean and well laid out room, I admit we were there during the week in April, and weekends may be a lot busier, but was very happy with our stay.
Due to many events happening in the Grand Forks area the weekend we were there, we were VERY LIMITED to what hotels were available (like 2). We decided on the Best Western Harvest Inn and Suites for the rating, reviews, and price. I called the hotel the day before we were to arrive to request a quiet room away from the pool and elevator. Upon checking in, the employee made note we requested that and was able to accommodate the request. Check-in was easy and relatively quick. Parking lot is not equipped to handle vehicles with trailers; however, they have an agreement with Aspen Dental next door about using their back lot for such parking (along with overflow). Now I read how this hotel was recently renovated. The lobby and breakfast area was modern and updated. The rooms were redone too but at a much cheaper expense. Only one elevator and it is older and not super fast. Our room was definitely in a much quieter zone than by the pool. Simple room. Nothing special. Bathroom is small and the switch operates both the light and fan at the same time. I never understand hotels that do that -- especially with bathroom in close proximity to the bed ~ disturbs others in the room during the night (personal thing, maybe). Bed was comfortable. Pillows could be a but fluffier. Nice desk area with an actual desk chair. Woke up to loud people in the hallway around 12:30. I was told by front staff that quiet hours started at 11:00. Called down to the front desk and they took care of the people very quickly. However, they decided to come back into the hallway within 10 minutes of being told to quiet down and go to their rooms. I, once again, called the front desk and they apologized for the disturbance and took care of it. This time it worked. Rooms are pretty sound proof - didn't hear noises among neighboring rooms. We were on the third (top) floor so I cannot tell you about hearing people above the room. This hotel was nice and I'd stay here again. It's an average hotel with nothing special about it - that the reason for my three star rating.
This is a nicely laid out hotel with rooms around pool on the main floor. Quieter rooms on top floor. The staff is efficient, caring and very professional. Rooms are clean, comfortable and roomy. Good internet, bathroom is clean and breakfast is very good. Good place for the day or a week.
I'm writing this review half way through my stay. Beds are awesome, the pillows are perfect. Room is ok sized, I don't need anything massive and they are very quiet. Parking is good, breakfast included and close to everything. Great place to stay, will be back for sure.
The hotel were so close to shops and restaurants that you could walk there. The staff are very friendly. The room was great and the walk in shower was a nice surprise. The only little thing I could complain about is the breakfast selection wasn't as good as all the other BW's we stayed at, but there was enough food for breakfast.
Had a poolside room, was very convenient for using the hot tub all wknd. Everything worked great and the hot tub was actually HOT just the way I like it!! Breakfast was decent and hot, got some protein to start the day.
Very good! Very good service! Rooms were nice. Staff were helpful. Family friendly and a great pool for a good relaxing time together. Nice to see animals were welcome. Breakfast was good also. I would stay here again.
This was an awesome find that fit our budget. It's right next to all major shopping in Grand Forks. Rooms were very clean. If you're looking for a quiet room, stay away from poolside. One knock is that the continental breakfast isn't fully stocked if you get there around 9:30 even though they advertise it until 10. This is ok though. Less waste.
Spent a night at this property while out college shopping with my son. Got a good rate with my military discount. Check in was quick and the young woman at the counter was very polite and helpful. Exterior and interior common areas seemed clean and well taken care of. Rooms were nice size and tastefully decorated. Nice walk in shower as well. Had a nice quiet evening and a great breakfast the next morning. Personally I did not find the pillows comfortable at all, but this is much of a personal preference. Overall this is a very nice property with all of the comforts you would expect for a hotel in this class. Would definitely stay here again next time we come to GF.
The hotel has been renovated but still shows its age. We stayed in a 2 queen suite and it certainly wasn't like any other suite I've stayed in...most suites have at least a little station where you would have a bar sink and a counter with your coffee maker, microwave & fridge. This suite was just a weird setup. Our room was not very clean. We had live lady bugs crawling around and live flies in -30C weather? Large foundations cracks in the corners. No closet just a cupboard for coats that was in a very inconvenient location. A lot of hair & dust around the bed frame and on box spring. Rug in room was disgusting! Obviously not changed during the update. Beds were ok. Location is great. Breakfast was average...great coffee though! I'm in Grand Forks at least once every couple of months and I have stayed at every hotel in the area so thought I would give this newly renovated hotel a try. I won't be back as there are too many nicer hotels for better prices if you watch for deals! Sorry
the rooms are new, clean and large, the breakfast was delicious, the staff were friendly and polite, the location is the best, the price can't be beat for what you get, and its full of friendly canadians.
This hotel is in a great place for a visit, very close to the I-29 and many restaurants. Rooms have a lot of space and are very clean. No Noise can be heard between rooms which gives you a good night sleep. Staff are friendly and willing to assist with whatever comes up. We had an early departure and they had coffee on "hot and ready to go" Will sya again temp outside was -40c but it was cozy and warm in the hotel.
Hotel is new, clean, and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good, very nice eating area. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to lots of shopping and restaurants. I have zero complaints and would definitely stay here again!
Stayed overnight in Jan. Everything was clean and up to date. Check in was fast and pleasant. Beds were very comfortable. The sitting room in the king suite was really useful. No need to be sitting on the beds while visiting. Breakfast area was very clean and the food was good. All staff were friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
Check in was fast and friendly. Room was clean! Beds were comfortable and 3 pillows per bed, nice. Coffee & tea available all day long, and also water w/lemmons and cookies in lobby. Cookies came in handy as a late nite snack, thank you. They have a social/get together in the evening (snacks and drinks) but we had just got back from eating dinner and we were full so we passed. We slept great, no sounds in the hallway. Complimentary hot breakfast in the morning, scrambled eggs, sausage and pancakes which my husband had. I ate light, toast, juice and yogart. This is our 2nd stay here and both times have been great.
This particular Best Western was recently remodelled and updated. In order, my high rating is because of cleanliness, updated, priced right, has a hot tub, breakfast, quiet, and coffee if better than most hotels. My only complaint is that the pillows are WAY too poofy. But that is minor. We will be back.
The staff was awesome, the breakfast was great. We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are big and comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone. I plan to stay here every time I stay in Grand Forks!!
This hotel was good! They allow pets for $15.00 per night extra. Our room was 230. It was the perfect room for our family of 5 (3 of which are teens). Lots of space, very clean. It was right next to the exit stairs which was perfect to taking our dog outside without disturbing other guests. The room had 1 king bed, 2 queen beds, a living room with a pull out sofa (mattress was terrible) my son slept on the sofa. Each room had a large tv. The bathroom was adequate equipped with fresh towels, hair dryer, etc. the living room had a mini fridge (like a bar fridge) and a microwave. The pool area is on the smaller side. Not a lot of space to sit pool side. We sat in our room while the kids enjoyed the pool (there was no where to sit to watch our teens). However, They said the water was warm. The pool area was very noisy and had a heavy chlorine smell to it. Otherwise it was clean with pool side towels. I would suggest slip on shoes to walk around the hotel. Breakfast was very good! Lots of choices. Well presented. The staff were very good and friendly! They did try hard to make our stay most comfortable! (Thank you) Location was perfect! Within walking distance to many stores. Overall, this was a good stay for us, but felt very limited to our room. The pool area would have been nice to enjoy if the area was a bit bigger and there was more seating with tables. Some of that was not the hotels fault, but rather a larger family that took over the whole area including the tables (4 in total) the entire time we were there. If your looking for a nice room and good breakfast and you have a dog, this is a great hotel. If you would like to use the pool area, that will be a challenge on weekends.
I bought my in-laws a room so that they could spend the holidays with us at our small home. I went to the hotel to take care of the bill before their arrival and was impressed with the remodeled lobby and breakfast area. My wife's parents were also impressed with the room (a king room that had a separate sitting room). They thought we had spent a small fortune on the room (under $70.00)! The only drawback was a couple cosmetic things that my fussy mother-in-law brought up (some dust by the heat vent and a small piece of torn paper on the floor). Conclusion: A great room at a great price!
The hotel is located in a very extensive Retail area. Amidst fast food chains and near strip malls. It has good free parking in front and rear. At our check-in we were very impressed by the friendliness of the young lady on duty, Hannah. Very pleasant and efficient. She instructed my husband on directions to Happy Harry's for some beverages and offered her assistance with laundry as the dryer was awaiting arrival of a new element. Initially I thought I'd be loathe to impose. Our room was upstairs but overlooked the indoor pool complex, which was pleasant and the Laundry Room was a few doors down from our room and the washing machine was working so I asked Hannah what was involved with me imposing on her re the drying. No trouble, I just had to bring to their hotel laundry downstairs and put my washing in one of the huge commercial dryers. Well. If only all hotel laundry was so easy. I returned to our room whilst washing done then bagged up and put in the huge hotel dryer and it was done in 20 minutes. Bliss. Thank you Hannah. Our room was very attractive and spacious with a separate bedroom with TV at the rear suitcase racks, a spacious bathroom and in the front area a lounge room, TV, mini frig and microwave. Very comfortable and spotless as was the whole hotel and lighting was good. Chick-Fil-A is next door so we had a very easy dinner. Breakfast was excellent in a large pleasant room with food supplies monitored well and hot and cold choices.
My family and I checked in on December 22nd - Check-in here has to have been one of the fastest/easiest check-in's I've ever done. We were checked in by the manager (I think her name was Annette) and she was quite friendly, with a welcoming smile. We checked in and headed up to our room on the second floor...the room was a great size with two queen beds (if we could have taken one home, we would have!) The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, and a night light that came in handy so we didn't wake each other up trying to go to the washroom. The next morning I had gone down to the breakfast area with my mom before we headed out - I unfortunately wound up on the floor due to a re-occurring back problem...I wish I had gotten the name of the lady who rushed over and stayed with me while my mom went to get my dad. She offered to help me up, stayed with me while I crawled onto a chair, went and got me ice and wound up calling an ambulance for me. She never left my side until my parents came back, and she made sure to check up on me often until the ambulance showed up. I never got a chance to thank her but I think her kindness, understanding and compassion helped keep us all calm and kept us from panicking. I cannot recommend this location enough, and I will definitely be back here the next time I'm healthy and back in Grand Forks.
We went for a Christmas shopping trip for presents for our grand kids. Had alot of fun just the two of us. We went to many stores around our hotel and our feet were sore walking around in the stores. We would do it again.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Very clean, very good breakfast. Comfortable rooms, located near restaurants and shopping centers. Easy to get to from interstate. Located on a main street with a variety of activities available ( movies, shopping, eating ect...) Will stay at this hotel again when we are in the area.
My husband and I got a great price for a king room on the BW website. When we checked in the nice young lady at the front desk upgraded us to a king suite...sweet!! However our room faced the parking lot, and due to a snow storm it was cleared by heavy equipment at 6am...so that was unfortunate. The rooms have been completely renovated and the shower was good, but vanity is a small single so not a lot of room for your stuff! When you turn the bathroom light on the fan also comes on, which can get annoying. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. Breakfast was ok, although the waffles were very tasty!! We also requested a room on the top floor so there wasn't any noise above us...it all came from the parking lot! This hotel was a good value and close to shopping in Grand Forks, so I would recommend it.
We loved our stay at this hotel. My dad had just passed and they went out of the way to help us. Not only did we get a terrific rate but Kahn, Kate, and Hannah were very welcoming and helpful. They were friendly and kind to not just the adults but to the children. Breakfast was absolutely the best and the pool area was clean and orderly. Super hot tub. We will definitely go back another time.
My husband & I needed a mini get-away and decided crossing the borden into the States would be exciting! We ventured to Grand Forks. Our stay at Best Western was a really good experience. It was centrally located around many stores. On the first evening there we walked to the store, as it's that close! Best Western were hosting a "Social" in the evening. Great tasting food and beverages were applied at no cost. As was the awesome breakfast the next day. The pool was a great place to relax as well. We would return in a heartbeat!
Hotel is renovated but still shows it's age, room was small and road nose was very loud. The pool and poolside rooms looked neat, I would try that next time. There were a couple hot items at breakfast which is a bonus.
The best property in Grand Forks, ND...Bev is the best! When we checked in to this hotel we were greeted by Bev, at the front counter, and man did she take care of us. I would stay at this hotel just because of how great that service was! Bev understands customer service and we were only there for one night!
Enjoyed our stay, comfortable beds, good breakfast and friendly staff. Only thing that was a bit aggravating was the bathroom vent/light. The bathroom light and vent operated from the same switch. Every time we turned on the bathroom light we had to listen to the noise from the vent!!
This was our first stay at this hotel and upon arriving the first thing I noticed was that it had snowed (the day before) and the lot had still not been cleared. There was ice everywhere and it was very slippery on the sidewalks and made it difficult to get our luggage from our car. Other than that, everything else was great. The staff was very friendly and even called us on our first night to see how things were in our room. Breakfast was served everyday from 6-9 and there were the regular options (eggs, sausages, cereal, toast, etc). There was even a waffle maker which I loved! It was great to be able to have a hot waffle. The pool was very clean and a great temperature. There were always clean towels and the staff cleaned throughout the day. Would definitely stay again.
Had a good stay here overall. Convenient location, good value for the money paid for our stay. Hotel has been extensively renovated in the last year or 2 - almost unrecognizable from the previous hotel that was there. Friendly staff, free breakfast. Pool area is nice, but I just wish it were open a bit later (open until 10pm). We received a free upgrade after asking, since we are Gold Best Western Rewards members, and were given a poolside suite, which was nice. Only drawback I found was the room smelled a bit smoky, as hotel obviously used to allow smoking in previous years, but this can be a hard smell to get rid of, even after renovations. All furniture and carpet appeared to be new. Would stay here again if the price was still competitive!
We've been to GF many times but never stayed here. This time we splurged a bit and don't regret it at all. The hotel is very clean and food was great. There was a hockey tournament so they put us on the third floor opposite wing. We didn't hear a word and pool was empty after 8pm. I will def be coming back here.
Lovely hotel, stayed one night and would definitely stay again. Only complaint was the noise, was on first floor and heard people above us walking around and moving all night long. Would request to be on second floor next time. We were also put in a handicap room which normally would be fine however the shower sucked, water pressure was not good due to the take down shower head for handicap use. Bathroom also flooded due to the fact that there is no shower stall, simply a curtain to draw across the room.
Our room was clean and updated. The pool area was nice and open. Breakfast offered some "hot choices" and standard fare as well. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. Good location near some shopping and the mall. For the price we paid for the weekend we felt as though it was a very good value and would stay again in the future.
Great place, friendly staff, good breakfast. Room was nice, close to the mall and other things the family wanted to do. We would stay here again. An early check-in option would be nice, we checked in on a Friday and coming from what looked like a slow Thursday as there were no vehicles in the parking lot it would have been nice to check in a touch early - however saying that they were more than cordial to allow us to use the swimming pool for our kids until the room was ready.
This hotel was remodelled recently, they did a fabulous job! Beds were super comfy, pool area open and airy! Breakfast had a lot of choices. Great Employees! Great location for shopping, and dining. I would recommend this hotel. Great place, reasonably priced.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise! There is a separate bedroom and living room with an fridge and pull-out sofa, which we did not expect. Clean rooms and great staff. Also, we drive a hybrid car and they have a plug-in which you don't see a lot in North Dakota. Would highly recommend!
I stayed at this hotel years ago. In the past 18 months it has undergone a total update. Great lobby and breakfast area; all new furniture, beds, bathrooms, and hallway carpets and lighting. Terrific.
My son and I visited Grand Forks to check out UND. This hotel was only about a 5 minute drive to the school. (Be warned- EVERY stop light has red light cameras on it!) We arrived in the evening on Thursday and they have a nice small welcome reception - that was a nice surprise. They had beers and wine along with some meatballs, chips & salsa, fruit and dip and pizza rolls with marinara. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. The pool area is located inside and surrounded by hotel rooms. This may be a downside if you have one of those rooms and there are a bunch of loud people in the pool/hot tub area. Our room was just off the lobby. It might have been just our door, but you really had to pull on it to close it. The beds were comfy. There was a sports team there and one night they were hanging out in the lobby at 1:30am and very noisy. It would have been nice if the front desk person would have had them be quiet or go to their room as our room was about 15 feet from the lobby. The location was convenient and in a safe location. Just a few doors down from the new Chik-Fil-A. Overall, a great value.
We were visiting our daughter who attends UND! Rooms were decent, but had a slight moldy scent. My son loved the pool and husband enjoyed the hot tub. I cleaned a lot of dust off the treadmill in a very warm gym. Breakfast food was good but the floor is sticky due to lack of cleanliness in the dining area. Front desk staff were very friendly!!
When in Grand Forks, ND if you are looking for a hotel that is nothing fancy, but is clean, convenient, and friendly, then the Best Western is a good choice. Rooms are clean, continental breakfast is hot, and there is a manager's social every Thursday evening.
excellent well kept hotel. Is quiet, close to local shopping and restaurants. Excellent staff, great breakfast, pool, hot tub and exercise room. beds are comfortable, rooms are clean and everything looks well kept.Staff at front desk and behind the scenes are wonderful.
I have had the pleasant experience of having stayed at this Hotel a number of times and it never fails to satisfy me in every way. The room is clean and spacious. The mattress and bed accessories are of high quality making for a restful night. The Hotel is close to shopping and restaurants.
Great for family or adult travel. Close to shopping & dining. Great modern atmosphere, clean & inviting pool, not compact or crowded. Would definitely recommend to my family & friends. Haven't received service like this in a long long time:)
Staff were so great - friendly, helpful and knowledgeable! Rooms were very clean and functional. We were on a shopping trip, and found the location to be perfect, near the mall as well as other shops. Breakfast was less than great - standard fare, every day - but was ok. Thurs evening happy hour was awesome!
very nice hotel friendly staff will stay here next time for sure our rm was right beside the pool good for during weekdays but wouldnt be good for a weekend might be very noisy. I wish they had different kinds of creamers for coffee. overall great hotel
The hotel was newly renovated. Room was clean and spacious. Plenty of pillows and towels. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast that was included with the room was OK. Typical breakfast for a hotel without a restaurant. However, the restaurant is in walking distance to many restaurants. I would recommend this hotel and will most likely stay here again. The front attendant signed me up for the Best Rewards program which was great. We receive a discount by being a member. Because we were a Best Rewards member on the way back from our trip I made sure to stay at another Best Western. Both stays were very nice and we were very happy with our accommodations.
Went to Grand Forks for a little shopping and relaxation. As always we have a wonderful time staying at this Best Western Harvest Inn. Staff are always very helpful, friendly and professional. The accommodations are comfortable and very clean. Whether you get the single room or the suite they are both very roomy. We like to get the suite as we like the 2 rooms however the single room is great also. It's in a great location, close to the mall, Walmart, Goodman's, Menards and actually all the other great stores. You won't be disappointed staying here.
WE stayed at your hotel last 2 weeks ago and we had a nice time. It was very clean and we got to enjoy the hot tub and pool, Many of the family stayed also so it was a fun visit. Close to where the wedding was in Grand Forks. Nice breakfast and the clerk at the desk was very pleasant. Thank you very much. And the rate for staying with the wedding party was great.
Rooms were clean, beds were Alright, close to shopping and staffs were friendly. Pool water temperature was good, hot tub could have been warmer. Newspapers were provided. Breakfast was okay but meat should have been better quality and not sitting in grease. Bacon was paper thin. What do you want for a free breakfast, but you asked. Overall satisfied with this hotel.
We were impressed with the the friendliness and welcome by all staff in reception, the breakfast provided, the housekeeping and signout. We were also impressed with the size of room, the quiet, the comfort of the bed, sofa and pillows, especially the pillows. Everyone we talked to was very helpful and we appreciated the attention to detail.
Great hotel, close to everything to shop and restaurants, highway, sports arena and convention center, etc. Clean, well appointed rooms, nice pool and hot tub, everyone friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Though when two unrelated guests are at the check-in, staff should not announce the room number and expose the check-in sheet with our name in site of the stranger also checking in. The following nite at a new location, that staff member placed the key-card envelope on the counter, room number face down. A safer practice! Our bed and pillows were comfortable, separate bath and sink, large space room. I'm sure the pool was very clean. The chlorine odor was ghastly on both first and second floors down the hall at the elevator. Breakfast staff were exceptional. They were constantly checking, refilling and cleaning the area. Hot trays of scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy for biscuits. Hot make-it waffles. All the usual cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, juices, sweet carbs, breads were available.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. They provided free wireless internet in our room along with a delicious breakfast! The employee's were helpful and kind. It is in a good location, close to many eating establishments and businesses.
We stayed at the best western grand forks for the first time and were not disappointed.good location.closr to shopping.very friendly and helpful staff.will recommend to others and will definitely be going back
We stayed in a king room. Room was spacious and very clean. Bed extremely comfortable. The check-in clerk, Bev, was very pleasant and personable. Highly recommended staying here. Breakfast was decent with hot items. Only suggestion - have some ice water available with breakfast.
Perfect location for all amenities in Grand Forks - Alerus Centre, Shopping, Restaurants. Nice modern décor. Very clean interior and exterior, Breakfast selection was above the average. Was my third visit to this hotel and I have never been disappointed.
Great clean hotel. Very close to shopping and dining. Best nights sleep I'd had on our whole vacation. Good value for our money. Would definitely recommend to family and friends and would stay here again on future visits to Grand Forks
We always stay at this hotel..completely renovated. This is a great location, good value for your dollar. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast is good, great variety. Nice pool area. There is an exercise room which my husband likes. The beds are firm and very comfortable.
Excellent staff. Clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Decided to stay again when we go back thru in a couple days! Staff helped us into a different room than originally booked since it would be a better fit for our family.
Hotel is in a good location with plenty of places to eat and shop nearby. I found the rooms to be nice and clean and the bed very comfortable to sleep in. Week night rates in September were only $71. I would stay here again in the future.
This was our second time staying at this hotel and it was great. I would definitely stay there again. It was close to all shops and restaurants. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was wonderful.
The quality and appearance of this Hotel is always the best! The staff go out of there way to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location is right off the interstate and shopping along with places to eat are very close.
This is a great place to stay. Our room was clean and the continental breakfast is one of the best. It is close to shopping and restaurants...walking distance to most. With the friendly staff we will definitely be back!
Stayed in a suite which had two bedrooms & a main living room area. This was nice because you could actually close the doors and others could still watch TV and not disturb anyone. The one room did have a faulty A/C so they had to sleep with the window open. That's the other nice thing, the windows actually open!! This hotel offers a hospitality hour around 5pm, snacks & beverages (including alcoholic) available in the breakfast area. Although we didn't use the pool it looked to be a nice size. The second floor is open to the pool area as well, all rooms are around the perimeter of the pool. The breakfast had great selection and adequate seating. Hotel is located on 32nd avenue, super close to the mall & restaurants. Will definitely stay again!
Rooms were a nice size and modernized too. Even though we did not have the opportunity to swim, the pool looked nice. There was a good variety for breakfast. The hotel personnel were helpful and friendly as well.
just average. terrible location. elevators never were clean.expedia was my main complaint. they say they reserve a king size bed on behalf of best western, no king size bed and none available. best western blames expedia. really, best western, lose expedia. call the hotel directly. price is the same
We received good services during our 1 night stay at the Best Western Havest & Suit, the staff on duty at our arrival was very helpful and professional. I will definitely come back or recommend Best western hotel to friends and family members.
First time staying at the Best Western Harvest Inn & Suites, and must say this recently renovated hotel was perfect! Check-in was a breeze with "Joe" who recognized our Member Status offering an upgrade to a King Suite (Thanks again Joe). Very nicely decorated two room suite with an amazing bed. The abstract artwork throughout the hotel, including the rooms was a very nice touch. Free wireless wi-fi worked great, and the morning breakfast buffet had something for everyone. The hotel pool and hot tub area was a pretty cool set up in the centre courtyard. Also very clean, plenty of towels, and brand new pool loungers/furniture. Our new "go-to" place when visiting Grand Forks in the future!
Room was very comfortable, location is great. Breakfast was on time. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. WiFi works accordingly (no timeouts), and it is newly renovated. Will be staying with best western again
I will not complain given the rate we paid, but in the future I will know not to ask for adjoining rooms as you can hear the whole conversation of the neighbors, Pool was great for the kids, hotel room was clean, front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was below standard
This is an extremely quiet, comfortable hotel. Beds are comfortable, and rooms are impeccably clean. Hotel has been recently renovated. Internet connection is excellent, and there is a huge selection of television stations, including premium channels such as HBO. Breakfast included with stay is very good and features a pancake-making machine. The hotel is reasonably priced. If you are staying in Grand Forks, this is the hotel that you want to stay at.
No parking in lot! Told to park in dental lot and probably won't get towed! Hole in sheets dirty sheets, not two beds, uncomfortable springy pull out couch! Had to make our own beds!!!! No other rooms to give us the room we paid for!
I wish I could have stayed more than one night. This was part of a 5-month road trip from California to Newfoundland. When I was at Grand Forks, I was on my return to California. Loved the luggage carts - easy to roll, even with my heavy ice chests.
Great reception, great location. Very impressed and definitely the bestest place sofar on our 4 overnight stsys. Room was judt great and clean. My wife said that she felt she could actually touch everything and not feel grossed out. Very quiet and exvellent bed. Nice shower stall with low step in. The breakfast was excellent and had a nice variety to choose from. We will definitely be back if in the area.
I have stayed at different hotels over the last 3 weeks of my vacation, this hotel has been the best. Clean room, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, excellent pool. All this and the price was less than other hotels. Lots of food options around the hotels,
The "hot breakfast" was luke-warm at best all 3 days of our stay. We extended our stay 1 extra day, and they neglected to inform us that breakfast ends 1 hour earlier on weekdays, which left us scrambling to get scraps to feed our 2 year old. Checkout at 11am. By 10am they started carpet cleaning the main floor hallways getting in the guest's way during that last frantic checkout hour. It made me feel like we weren't welcome anymore, and to get out asap. This hotel is located 1 hour from the Canadian border, and they were completely caught by surprise that it was a Canadian Long weekend. You REALLY need to know who your clientele are if you plan to survive in any business.
We were completely satisfied with all aspects of this motel - clean room, breakfast items, internet. Staff are personable and professional. Motel is very close to Columbia Mall and there are many very good family restaurants close by. We would definitely stay at this motel again.
Room was clean and comfortable to sleep. Pool was adequate, colder than normal and although hot tub was hot, water circulation was out of order. Front desk could not fix for evening. Hot Breakfast is complimentary and ok. Value was good for the price. Close to shopping so convenient and clean.
We found that the room was not clean, second day our supplies had not been replenished. Breakfast didn't seem well prepared. No cots available and hide a bed was broken. We have liked BW but not this one.
Phenomenal hotel at unbelievable rate. The entire BW chain if hotels have really really improved their product across all the levels This is by far the nicest BW hotel i have stayed at. Not even factoring in the rate. Nothing negative to say. Go out of your way for this perfect nights rest on the road
The room was quiet and everything worked. The checkin staff were very friendly. I like BW, always good quality, seldom disappointed. The breakfast was good and had alll the regular. And it was in a convenient location for our trip. Whether for famiy with the pool, or business, it's a good choice
We stayed at this facility as the first night of a twelve night vacation and the final night. We have stayed many times in the facility prior to it becoming a Best Western. Staff - very helpful Breakfast - love the pancake option they brought in prior to our second night. Not a fan of plastic cutlery cutting waffles but small issue Cleanliness - first room still has the lingering smell of smoking days gone by. No big issue. Second night the room was great. Only thing I would suggest...get rid of the original carpet in the rooms from the prior owner. Have always enjoyed the facility. Will definitely be back again and would never hesitate to recommend it to someone else.
We had planned on going to the Air Force base to complete some military retiree paperwork. The plan was to spend 3 nights, going to Sully NGP, as well as Turtle Lake State park. The stay was so nice, we added an additional night to our stay.
While the hotel was nice, we did have a few minor problems. The door to our room would not latch, upon checkout I let the front desk know and they apologized and said they would have it fixed. Night customer service could be a little better. I had to wait almost 15 minutes to pay for a pop and an ice cream. Other than that the stay was comfortable.
Nice clean and friendly staff...Thumbs up!! Location was good, right next to the mall and several of the stores I like to shop at and near the clinic/hospital. Customer service and follow-up was great. Definitely stay here again..
Overall a very pleasant stay. Bed was a little too firm for our liking. Carpets a little tired-looking. Otherwise, the facilities and amenities were very agreeable. All staff were very pleasant. Excellent value for the money. We got what we'd hoped for, a clean and quiet room and good hospitable service.
This hotel is newly renovated. Good quality for the money. It is close to restaurants, shopping, Kings Walk golf course, and the freeway to continue your travels. The breakfast was adequate to get your day started. We will stay here again.
We stayed here one night on a cross country road trip and were very pleased. The hotel is modern and updated and very clean (I'm a clean freak). Our bed was comfortable. As another reviewer said, the room walls seem to be thin, so when the person in the room next door returned it almost sounded like they were entering our room. It would maybe be a problem if you had loud neighbors (or if you were a loud neighbor). The breakfast buffet is nice but if you are gluten free, be warned! There are few options. I am allergic to gluten and dairy so my options were almost non existent. Overall I appreciated our stay here and would come back.
In July 2017, my wife and I stopped here on our way to Canada. It is just a few blocks east of I-29 in Grand Forks with tons of shopping and restaurants across the street and down the road. We were given a full two room suite overlooking the pool. It had all the customary amenities. Desk service was very good. In the morning we had a full hot breakfast of scrambled eggs, sausage, and fried potatoes along with fresh diced fruit, packaged muffins and other items. See pictures.
ona one night stop.. here recently ..nothing could have been better..the rooms were clean and spacious and the staff very friendly/welcoming and the breakfast quite adequatein shoart an excellent value..highly recommended
We had such a good time one weekend we ended up driving down the next weekend for a couple more days. The location is excellent for shopping, the rooms are all newly renovated, roomy and very clean. The whole hotel is in excellent condition and the staff are all amazing. They are always very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed our stay ever so much. Great job by all!
Great price for the hotel and location was just off the highway. Gas station and lots of places to eat nearby. Free parking, free wifi. Breakfast was decently sized though was running low at 7:30 am when I came down (might have been just at the restocking time). There was a social the night I arrived - I couldn't go but I'd never seen that before! Nice idea.
Hotel has been updated. Rooms are pretty fresh with an updated decor. Bathrooms have been upgraded and are nice and clean. Beds were very comfortable which provided for a couple nights of good rest. Not sure if it was my timing, but on the on the couple of occassions I needed the front desk staff they were a bit hard to find and had to wait a bit to locate them or have them re-appear. Otherwise a great stay and would recommend this in your travels.
Only there for one night but an enjoyable night. Had king bed and they gave us the suite and had privacy from the kids. Very nice for the price the staff gave it to us for. I will definitely will stay there again when I go visit family. Staff was great and breakfast was enjoyable. Little noise on street side with morning traffic but it was my alarm clock.
I've stayed in a lot of hotels and now choose Best Western over them all. Not only is the price a value added savings onto my customers but I can have a relaxed nights rest on the nicest beds and pillows of various types to relax.
Average. Except for Fran at the front desk who was extremely helpful and professional! The rest of the hotel was dated and not quite up to par cleanliness wise. The breakfast hours were 6-9 weekdays but till 10am weekends so if you wanted to sleep in a little then eat you were sol.The WiFi in the rooms would work off and on. Overall an ok place to stay.
We were looking for a place to stay on the way up to Winnipeg and decided to try this hotel out, having stayed here before when it was a Lakeview Inn & Suites. The remodel is nice and the hotel and the room we had was clean. We got in late, around 10:00 PM. We have a two-year old so it was off to bed after we arrived. We happened to look up and noticed one smoke detector, in the living room area, was covered with a plastic baggie. We then noticed the smoke detector in the bedroom was missing. Also, when we tried to use the television in the bedroom, the power cord was missing. Had this been at an earlier time, I would have requested a different room. The smell of chlorine on the second floor wasn't pleasant, either. The next morning I spoke with Annette, the manager, about the issues. She did give me some extra Best Western Rewards points, which helped, but I hope the issues have been addressed. The last two hotels I have had an issue with have been, to no surprise to me, in this city. The other hotel didn't get a review unfortunately. Thankfully we don't have to ever come to this city for the forseeable future and the next time we go to Winnipeg, we'll stay in Fargo instead.
I've stayed at several hotels in Grand Forks and for your money, this Best Western is fantastic. The pool and hot tub are great. Breakfast was fine, the room was super clean and very large. It's nothing fancy but reminded me of a great family hotel we used to go to years ago. It's nice to see that such hotels still exist. It's perfect for families with small kids.
My daughter had to stay for two nights and three days because of medical reasons. The staff at this hotel went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed and were very accommodating. It was so nice to have this red carpet treatment!
We stayed here for 1 night and enjoyed our stay. This is our 3 time staying at this hotel since it changed from the Lakeview. Nicely upgraded, clean, great hot breakfast and nice staff. Love the location. Thought it was a bit expensive for Grand forks but stayed any way.
This was a good hotel for our stay. The beds were very comfortable for a good nights sleep. The only thing I didn't like was that the hot tub seemed to have to much chemicals my eyes started to burn while I was in it. Overall the hotel is clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I enjoyed that they called the room to see if it was alright after check in.
3 of my girlfriends and myself went down to do some shopping and we stayed here in room #218. The room was great, just had trouble trying to regulate the heat. We ended up with our window open half of the time...just to keep it comfortable. It was clean with comfortable beds. It had a nice walk in shower! The continental breakfast was fantastic! We had their breakfast 2 mornings, bacon, sausage, ham, pancakes, scrambled eggs, yogurt, cereal and all the regular fare! Really tasty food! Plus ample seating. Pool and hot tub seemed very busy although we did not use it. Great location to shopping stores and we walked over to Texas Roadhouse! Would definitely stay here again! Location great, room great and price was fantastic!
has been recently renovated. stayed in a suite. The staff were very friendly and helpful both at check in and when we needed some information on te area. Iit was quiet when we were there and the weather was dreadful but the staff continued to be cheerful, pleasant and when we thought we might need to stay an extra day because of the weather they were very accommodating. It is across the street from all the shopping, big box stores, restaurants and the Mall, within walking distance. Pool and hot tub have been redone - very big impovement.
Great breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms around the pool area can be a little noisy but not too bad as the suites are set up with the bedroom toward the back. Rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The location on 32nd made it convenient for dining, shopping and accessing the University.
Our room was located right beside the breakfast room and we didn't hear a thing! We thought it might be somewhat noisy, but it wasn't at all!! Thanks for a delicious breakfast and a few more precious moment of restful sleep!
It's unfortunate that I'm writing this review. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and accommodating. However every step someone makes above your room is very loud! I'm assuming a wood construction building so the floor joists transmit a lot of noise. Perhaps other rooms are better but I wouldn't take a chance again.
When I got there to check in I had to wait awhile for someone to come greet me. I could see the front desk lady sitting in the back room on her phone and when I finally got her attention she told me she would be with me in a minute and continued on her phone. She was rude when I asked any questions and acted like she was in a hurry. I don't remember her name but she had blonde hair and glasses. Housekeeping service wasn't very good, bed was poorly made and they didn't take out my garbage. Breakfast was okay. After this experience, I will not be staying here again.
While we did not stay there, we were able the charge our car at the EV Charger. We asked permission to do so and the staff was very gracious and accommodating. If I need a place to stay this is where we will go!
Check in is at 3:00pm but we arrived a bit early so our King room wasn't ready yet. then they upgraded us to A King Suite by the pool. It was a fantastic room with two TV's King bedroom and a living room Nice bathroom with shower. There was a Fridge and Microwave in the room and Wi-Fi . Nice pool and hot tub and a very good breakfast. The staff is excellent. The location is great ,close to The mall ,Target Holiday gas station restaurants ,etc. This was the 2nd time we stayed there..
Our room was very clean with a great bathroom. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was fantastic! After traveling for three days this was a refreshing stay. I will definitely book here again when I'm in Grand Forks.
Stayed for 3 nights there were 4 of us in adjoining rooms pool view. We also had a small dog. The manager Bev was so accommodating, and very friendly, she couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Expedia had sent them the wrong info but she quickly corrected it to our advantage. The full breakfast was unexpected and you couldn't ask for more. Check in and out very fast. Hot cookies every afternoon. Coffee all day in the lobby. The pool area was nice and clean. The rooms we stayed in were so clean. Everything was so modern and new, loved the bathroom with the big shower. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Very close to eating and shopping.
I had stay at this hotel previous, when owned by Lakeview many times, until 3 years ago when I last stay there to and was disgusted by stained bed skirts and sheets and the just not what it once was. Best Western have gone and made many excellent changes, the front lobby is look great, the breakfast option are much better, and the bathroom look great and love the walk in shower. Happy to see the improvement and will being staying there again,
Went for a days shopping with mu hubby and fur baby. Place is pet friendly which was awesome. And I was pleased I did not have to pay a deposit because my golden was with me. Nice clean room, good hot breakfast and great staff.
My stay at the hotel was very good. Hot breakfast was an added bonus. Pet friendly was even better as I travel with my golden. And no added deposit with her as often happens at some hotels. Location was also a bonus as it's close to Columbia mall and many restaurants. I'll be back for sure.
Thursday 6 April 2017 Pleasant Lobby Lounge area with TV Wonderful & Helpful Staff At night, Complimentary Decaf Coffee & Chocolate Chip Cookies. Try the eggs. Kohl's, and many fast food & sit-down eateries within walking distance such as Five Guys and Arby's, as well as Denny's and Ruby Tuesday's. For your coffee fix, Starbucks is around the corner. Unwind in Style at the Best Western Harvest Inn & Suites.
We just got back from Grand Forks and we stayed at the Beat Western Harvest Inn, and it was a good stay. The rooms are nice, the pool area is really nice, a little loud, but what can you expect when it's spring break. The front desk lady was so helpful!! Bev is her name, and she saved the day for us!!! Our key card wouldn't work for some strange reason, I went down to the front desk twice because we couldn't get in our room. Third time was a charm...actually Bev was the charm that opened our door!! Note to self...don't put key cards near cell phone!! Hahaha Good hotel for your money!!!
We booked this hotel last minute and we needed a place that accommodates pets. It's hard to beat the price for the quality of the hotel. The breakfast bar was way too busy to get to, but we were able to grab at least coffee & juice. It looked to have a good selection of food. Our room location wasn't the greatest (next to laundry room) but it was close to a door, which was helpful to take our dog outside. Very big pool area with lots of chairs and a decent pool size.
Near the mall and other shopping. Near restaurants. Quiet hotel nice pool area. Breakfast continually filled. .. very nice for the price. Lobby is welcoming with some warm drinks to welcome you. Knowledgeable front desk staff. Very friendly. Pet friendly.
Checked in and our room was missing a few items..went to the front desk to ask for some hangers...Paul came to take a look and obviously we had been given a room that wasn't cleaned properly or stocked...he immediately got us into a better room and upgraded us, now that's customer service/satisfaction. He was very apologetic. Upgraded room was very nice!
Stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with 4 adults total for a "girls weekend" shopping trip. Hotel has been completely renovated, along with the rooms and everything is nice and new (huge improvement from when it was the Lakeshore Inn and Suites). Close to everything and within walking distance if you so desire. The suite had a large living room area, and 2 bedrooms (one with a king and one with two queens). Lots of room for four adults (along with pull out couch in the living room). Each room had it's own tv, which was nice for those who wanted to go to bed earlier and nice, new comfy beds. No heat in the living room area though (had to crank the heat in each bedroom and leave the doors open to heat up the living room area - didn't like that much). The biggest disadvantage to the suite (from our perspective) was the small bathroom, especially the lack of counter space, which was extremely small (especially for 4 adults). We had no place to put our stuff. Ditto in the bedrooms, which each only had one small dresser with the tv on top of it, no mirrors in the bedroom or additional dresser space/counters to put anything on. Very difficult to share one bathroom with 4 people, especially when you can't use the bedrooms to dry your hair, put makeup on etc. due to lack of mirrors, dresser space for toiletries, no closet space etc. There was only one upright closet cabinet in the living room to hang everything (no place in each bedroom to hang clothing etc). Best Western - add mirrors to your bedrooms, closets to hang stuff and more dresser space for toiletries etc (instead of making people shove all their toiletries into a small dresser drawer to keep digging out as needed - the bedrooms have the space for it and it would make travelling with a larger party much easier, especially since there is only one small bathroom in the suites for multiple people trying to get ready!! hotel (however, chlorine in the pool is also a bit on the heavy side too). Could smell it really heavily in the hallway/pool areas and room. Despite two showers we could still smell it in our skin! Also need more seating on weekends for the breakfast area (like an adjoining conference room, like other hotels offer as overflow seating). Breakfast was good though (standard breakfast of eggs, sausages, pancakes, pastries, cereal, yogurt and fruit - like every other hotel in the area offers).
Stayed here one night on the way to Winnipeg. Picked the king suite for less than $80. Couldn't have been more pleased with the room, the staff and the overall feel of the hotel. This is a great value and would definitely stay here again. Good location too.
Visited Grand Forks and stayed at the BW Harvest Inn in early November. We were impressed with the renovations and overall cleanliness of the hotel property. Check in and check out were perfect and their breakfast options totally met and exceeded our needs. With a hotel capacity of approximately 78 rooms, there are more tables needed poolside as the 3 - 4x4's do not provide enough for the number of guests in the hotel. The hours of operation for the pool area are fine but it was really busy and loud in such a small, confined space. Being limited to one hot tub and a central area that gets loud when crowded, not a game breaker but didn't provide exactly what we were looking for. BW Harvest Inn has come a long way and hopefully they can continue to adjust to help meet the demand based on visitors suggestions and recommendations moving forward.
Very clean and welcoming. All staff very friendly and always said hi. Breakfast was great. Pool was good I found it cool but kids loved it so that is all that matters to me. Room was great very clean loved that it was only a shower not a tub and shower. Beds were great. Very quiet at night never heard a thing and morning quiet and the place was full. Will be back for sure.
I didn't find a Best Western in Grand Forks on my GPS, but discovered this while going for another. I was glad we did. The accommodations were great, and the cost reasonable in today's market. The accessible suite was well thought out for convenience and helps.
Would definitely stay here again. It was very close to shopping mall and box stores, and some very good chain restaurants. Everything was within walking distance. Only thing we had an issue with was breakfast, no forks, and pancake maker was out of mix.
Formerly Lakeview Inn same issue with toilet friends had when they stayed in the room we were given this trip. When bathroom fan running smell of smoke. Staff friendly, breakfast okay, hot tub easier to access, extra handicap parking, walk in shower needs better soap dish or shelf for shampoo. Recommend bath seats available on request.
this motel is located close to shopping and the interstate, the room was clean and updated nicely. we did have an issue with the chlorine from the swimming pool, being so strong smelling that we did have a slight health issue from it as it was in the hallway and also could smell it in the room. and express check-out didn't seem to work for us,
We checked in on Oct 29 and we checked out on Oct 30. The hotel was not very friendly at the front desk, but they did their job. They did not greet us or ask how our stay was. But the room cleaners were friendly and the room was very nice and clean. For breakfast they had omelettes and eggs and sausages, waffles, yogurt and coffee, but the orange juice tasted really bad. They should really have 100% juice. The breakfast room was small. I would prefer it to be bigger. The pool was a nice temp and the hot tub was nice, but I wish they were 2 hot tubs. I liked that they have lemon water and coffee at check in. They should add cookies. The hotel was nicely renovated. Thank you Best Western Grand Forks.
The Best Western is located right in the middle of all your shopping needs. With Menards in front and the Columbia Mall behind, and box stores like Target, Michaels, and Lowes across the road, you have everything within walking distance. Great Restaurants nearby like Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse. The hotel itself was very clean. The pool area was bright and the water was just the right temperature. Hot tub was hot:) The breakfast was exceptional with scrambled eggs with salsa and cheese if wanted, sausage, fruit salad, cereals, toast, muffins and last but not least waffles with toppings of blueberry sauce, whipped cream, chocolate chips, and syrop. What's not to like! The only minor issues we had was the pressure in the shower one morning would go down to almost nothing. Not sure what the problem was there, but it didn't seem to affect everyone. Also, in the suite it would have been nice to have another lamp in the bed area, as it felt quite dark with only the lamps between the bed area to light the room. But everything was clean and service was great. Thanks for a wonderful stay!
Recently renovated, rooms are clean, and mornings include a nice breakfast. The hotel is only minutes away from the major shopping area. And there are lots of restaurants to choose from, whah are also only minutes away. Would definitely return.
This Best Western was just remodeled and looks real nice. The rooms and entrance are tastefully done. The service is good the beds are comfortable and they also service a hot breakfast that was about average but still good.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms are nice and the breakfast was good. The only disappointment was that our room had a "pool view". This meant that it was loud because there is an echo from all the children playing. It wasn't bad, only next time I would ask to stay further from the pool. Great location, near all the shopping. I would certainly stay again!
Stayed at this hotel for the first time this weekend. Everything was wonderful. The rooms are nice and the beds our comfy. A special thanks to front desk staff Hanna and Paul. Hanna checked us in and out and was extremely friendly and accommodating. Paul was great for callling us a cab and putting up with a group of noisy women. I would definitely stay here again. Continental breakfast was delicious and constantly stocked.
We went for a family weekend. We booked 2 rooms, one accommodating 6 people and the other a standard 2 bed room. Rooms were very nice. We would have preferred to have rooms closer together as requested as we had very young children. The television in the separate room did not work well and wifi worked only at times. The lock cards had to be replaced too often.
Disappointed in the service we received at the time of check out. We were unable to use our Travel Card voucher which was given to us by Best Western. It was conveniently lost by the check in attendant the day before. Who insisted on keeping it and would apply it to our bill in the morning at check out.
What a great renovated hotel. We ended up using a coupon through EZ Marketing and there was also a deal for rates payable in Canadian dollars so we ended up staying for a very low price. Given the option I would have given a 4.5 due to a couple of small things. The hotel advertises free toiletries items should you happen to forget something. I went down to hopefully get a toothbrush. There were no toothbrushes available so I had to buy one from the hotel market for $4. Also, the breakfast was good but the pancake maker seemed a bit too much of a gimmick and at the 2 breakfasts that we had, the staff were always needing to help people with it or fix it. The quality of the pancakes was definitely lacking. I believe that people would be much happier if there were a couple of industrial waffle makers. They are simpler and the waffles are tastier than the rubbery pancakes we had. However, overall the hot breakfast was great, with scrambled eggs, sausage and lots of other options. Enjoyed the shower, beds and TV. We were also impressed that there was a microwave and fridge. The front counter staff did a fairly good job but our staff person was not sure where the outside entrances were to the building when I asked about parking and the entrances to the building. We had a great stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
We stayed two nights at this location and found it to very clean, quiet and served a better than average "breakfast". This hotel had a good variety of snacks and beverages and was closes to many good eating places. I would go back to this hotel next tie I am in the area.
Hotel is very beautifully renovated. Very clean, modern, comfortable beds and great location. Staff was friendly. We had a few issues and have mentioned them to front desk on our way out. Upon booking we specifically asked if renovations were completed because we were travelling with a baby and toddler. We had reserved the two bedroom suite to allow for easy napping for babies. Unfortunately when baby was put down for morning nap there was construction just below our window with hammering and drilling. So we skipped morning nap. Seemed to quiet down by afternoon so both children were put down for afternoon nap and were wakened shortly after with another round of drilling. Made for a rough day. There were also no high chairs or booster seats in hotel which made for uncomfortable breakfasts. Also only mirrors in our two bedroom suite was in bathroom and on living room wall. It would be very convenient to have a mirror in each bedroom to allow for less time in bathroom especially that we were five adults. These issues were also mentioned to staff and well accepted. I realize that with a changeover there is always an adjustment time and we will definitely return to this location.
We went here on a last minute booking on Sunday .loved it very friendly staff . Nice room , nice pool area and fitness room. Will defiantly come back again with our dog.. The breakfast was great as well.
This hotel has done a 360! We had stayed here before it was a Best Western since it is close to the mall and Super Target and didn't realize that it was being renovated when we made reservations. I was so impressed with the changes - the rooms are so fresh and clean - beds are amazing!! The pool area was great and even better, we had a poolside room which made it ideal for the kiddos! The free breakfast in the morning is the best complimentary option I've come across. The check-in was a very good experience - we learned about the renovation, updates and amenities included with our stay. It may have seemed like a routine check in for the front desk person, but it was so refreshing to be greeted by a professional and kind personality for a change! Because of the updates, I hope to get to Grand Forks more often!
We used to stay at the Lakeview. We always like it. So we decided to check out the new renovations! We were impressed. Best Western you did a great job! The outside, lobby, breakfast area and rooms were all newly renovated. Everything was modern and fresh. Our room was super nice. And the bed extremely comfortable! We also got a really good rate. And the location of course is perfect (With the key shopping destinations so close). We will be back!
We were in Grand Forks for a long weekend because a family member had surgery at Altru on a Friday morning. We wanted a nice hotel close to the hospital that had a pool and served breakfast. The Best Western Harvest Inn & Suites exceeded our expectations! We couldn't believe the remodel - the lobby and breakfast room were so bright and modern. The desk staff was so friendly and got us checked in quickly! We were amazed when we got into our room -- the look was fresh and clean, the beds were so comfortable and the bathroom was so bright and modern!! As a plus, we had a pool-side room, which was so easy and convenient! After spending time at the hospital, a dip in the hot tub & pool was so relaxing. The complimentary breakfast was warm and delicious both mornings, and the pancake maker was a hit with kids and adults alike! The breakfast room was stocked with a variety of newspapers to keep up on the latest. It was so easy to travel back and forth to the hospital, as well as restaurants during our stay. This hotel will definitely be our first choice when visiting Grand Forks!
We just stayed at the new BW in Grand Forks. Excellent location, friendly, helpful staff. Thank you Hannah, great job you're doing! Everything was so clean. I had a fantastic sleep in a new , firm bed. Good variety for the breakfast that was included. I would recommend staying here!
This hotel has been completely remodelled! The lobby, and rooms are modern and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The stay included a tasty continental breakfast as well including eggs, sausage and pancakes:)
We were here for a 2 day shopping spree. This hotel has been completely and beautifully remodeled. We found it to be very comfortable with comfy new beds and bedding. The complimentary breakfast is excellent and we found the staff to be unbeatable. All were happy to see us and happy to help in any way they could. When making plans to visit Grand Forks this is most definitely the place to stay. Clean, Comfortable, Friendly with reasonable Rates! You can't go wrong !
I was passing through and had a $50 gift card from Best Western so thought I would give it a try. Hotel had recently been renovated and did not disappoint. First off the young lady that checked me in new how to process the gift card (this is almost never the case at other locations) and second the room was clean and bed was comfortable. Easy access on and off I-29. Great Hotel.
has been renovated, rooms were excellent, very impressed with inside and outside new look, everything new, bedding best sleep, suites and pullout beds very good, breakfast and service great, lots of coffee, towels and toiletry, will continue to stay here for future visits. Location is the best for restaurants and shopping. They have a pool and hot tub and lots of towels also. Management and employees very friendly.
We have stayed in several hotels over the past year. I loved the fact that we could bring our dogs with us to stay and the hotel didn't smell like pets had been stayed in the hotel before. Everyone was super nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again on our next visit to Grand Forks.
The hotel went through a major overhaul and the room I had was one of the nicest I've stayed at in a long while. Rooms by the pool can be loud but if you're apart of the fun then don't worry. If you're not, ask for a room away from pool. Front desk staff was incredibly friendly and checked in with me after arrival to make sure everything was satisfactory. I'd definitely stay here again.
Don't stay at this hotel! They were remodeling the entire hotel and tried to remain open to the public. Many dangerous safety and health hazards were exposed to the guests. The health dept. of Grand Forks, ND should close them down! We'll never stay there again as you can't trust the management.
they were in the middle of remodeling so there was construction everywhere. also it took us half an hour to get checked into our room as the card reader on the door was busted and was not offered another room but instead had to wait. also the beds were very uncomfortable.
Our hotel stay was wonderful. We stayed here towards the end of July and were pleasantly surprised. The minute we walked in, the staff were very accommodating and pleasant. We had a suite, which was a nice size with the separate bedroom. I had asked for joining rooms, as my parents were along, and they accomodated this, even providing my parents with a suite, for the rate of a standard room. The rooms are dated, as some of the reviews stated, but very clean. The bed was comfortable. On Saturday night, I realized that we needed a wine cork and the girl at the front counter, did her best to track one done. All the staff were great. I would stay here again.
I really like this property because of its close proximity to Menard's and other shopping. The complimentary breakfast is good and includes waffles that you make yourself. The rooms are comfortable, but I don't recommend a room around the pool, as we experienced very high humidity on our pool-side room.
