Hotel was being remodeled, the room we were in was one of the newly remodeled ones so very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was kind of blah, sausage and eggs. Every day, coffee was completely gone by 8 AM Monday morning leaving us to have to stop at the gas station when we hit the road. Freezer in the room did not work. We tried to chill ice packs and small bottles of water and they just got cold like in the fridge.
I have stayed at many Best Westerns in the past and always had a decent experience, but this was my first poor experience that was bad enough that I wanted to write a review which I usually don't do. Location: If you need to be in Eden Prairie this is a wonderful location. Takes about 20 minutes and $25 + tip if you are taking an Uber/Lyft. It is located across from a Target and a gas station with a convenience store and close to a big mall. Right next door is Cub Foods (grocery store chain). On the other side of the parking lot is a SmashBurger and a lot of other places to eat within walking distance. Room: The room was nice. Felt a little cramped if you are looking for a working space, but otherwise it was a nice, clean, and comfortable room. The room I was assigned had a broken AC that was blowing very humid air and created a pretty bad smell (like old pet pee on the carpet). I asked the front desk for a room change and they said it needed a manager's approval who will not be available until next day. The next day I asked a different person at the desk who took one whiff of the room and changed the room immediately with no approval required from anyone else. Breakfast: The breakfast was pre-made fried egg patties (the kinds used at fast food places for breakfast sandwiches) which were dry at the edges. It was so gross that I spit it out on the first bite. They also had bacon and sausage in hot trays. The bagels and muffins tasted stale, and the only fruit was days old oranges. They also had some yogurt and a waffle machine, but I didn't see anything that you can use to make waffles. On the second day they did not even have bread for toast. I ended up eating at a cafe during my entire stay there. Internet: I was trying to work but the internet was flaky and consistently dropped every 5-8 minutes at all times of the day. Little things: While these do not affect the stay, they do change your experience. The first room I was in the faucet in the bath tub was loose and shower head didn't let me change the settings. One of the cupboard doors won't hold so it stayed open. The second room was put together much better but the bath tub won't drain after the shower so I had to hold it open so the tub will drain. They are going through some face lift on the exterior. Hopefully, they will update inside too but I cannot recommend this place in it current state.
Terrible service. Racist place. Unless you are "White," stay away at all cost. Spend a little more and stay somewhere else! Stayed for a week. Housekeeping forgot to clean the room twice. Front desks said the cleaners don't understand English and must have forgot the blue sign meant they had to clean the room. The pillows smelt musty so I had to get disinfectant sprays. Worst vacation spot to spend with family. Again stay away from this crappy place.
Cons- - Extremely slow drain in the bath-tub. After 30 seconds I'd be standing in about 2 inches of back water. 🤮 - No Safe in the room. -Night Stand digital clock was dead. -No stationary to write on. Plus+ +Rooms were clean +Swimming pool & sauna were clean and temps were perfect for both. Nice way to unwind after a full day of traveling. +Great location with restaurants & stores within walking distance. +Decent Continental Breakfast +Decent Wifi
Rate was very good for my stay, room was nice and clean and quiet. Breakfast was good, not a lot of options but still good. Location was perfect. Friendly staff.
We use to stay @ Hampton Inn ALL the time without fail until they stopped cleaning the rooms last year. As of 2024 they now clean only every 2nd day - however @ BW your room is cleaned DAILY. Location in Minneapolis is excellent - close to Hwy. Nice rooms. There is a pool. Breakfast is average to good as they need to change up the variety more each day. Otherwise an overall yummy breakfast - eggs-sausages-waffles-cereal-toast-mini cinnamon buns-bagels-yogurt-coffee-juice... Water pressure in shower is also excellent btw. Nothing fancy but it is nice - go ahead make the booking & go chillax!!!
We rented a room with a jetted tub and the tub was broken. Paid nearly $100 extra for this room for no reason. They barely had any staff and the ones available couldn't care less. Huge letdown. We were hoping to get away for a night and ended up in a broken room that smelled like chlorine.
Very clean hotel, room was wonderful and quiet. Easy access to and from the freeway and ample parking . Staff were very friendly and very helpful. If in the area again I would be going back to this hotel.
First and foremost, Shirley, who manages the breakfast is outstanding! She treats this as her own home, with special baked goods, greeting everyone, and overall great customer service! She had special soups & salads in the evening for guests. She made our visit! Our last day was her day off and it showed, as the other employee didn't have things ready, no coffee & was grumpy. The workout room needs attention as it was never cleaned, same dirty towels, no clean towels or paper towels for cleaning equipment. We will return if Shirley is still there!
The front staff was very welcoming. It's an older hotel which you can see by the out of date carpet in the hallways however, the rooms are updated and the bed was comfortable. The room had a refrigerator and a microwave. The room was very clean and the air conditioner was not loud. The breakfast they offer needs work...for the number of guests, they have a very small breakfast offered in a small room. Don't expect a lot at this hotel but it gets the job done.
Very dirty hotel with rude staff. The floors were wet and sticky in our room. The hallway floor was dirty Bring your own pillows they gave pillows the size of a throw pillow. .We have stayed in many Best Westerns and this was by far the worst. Rude Staff and Manager. Leftover food in our fridge was moldy.
Bed is so comfy, washroom is clean. Basically, the whole room was clean. As for the breakfast, not too bad. We had sausage patty and egg. Front desk our friendly. We never had a chance to.use the pool this time as we were already tired.
This was a short stay for my kids and I. Friendly staff at the front desk. Clean facility throughout. The breakfast was adequate for my kids and myself. The beds were very comfortable for us during our 1 night stay.
We had never stayed before at this BW facility. Very clean place and accommodating staff. The staff was the true gem,..........from the check in staff, pool staff, and housekeeping. Everyone went out ot their way to make sure we had a great stay and supplied us with any needed items, very promptly. Like towels and kleenex. Also gave us great tips on area activities. This is also a fantastic location, might be outside of downtown, but had several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Great place to stay, will stay here again!! Nice quiet neighborhood as well, felt safe here!
This hotel is a good value and conveniently located. It is adjacent to a large shopping center and is convenient to MSP Airport. This hotel is clean and comfortable but beginning to show its age. A good value.
The hotel may be older, but it's very clean and well-kept. The staff that we encountered (front desk and housekeeping) were incredibly pleasant and helpful. The breakfast room was completely filled in the morning, but the staff were pleasant and refilling everything just as quickly as they could.
The room was small but clean, still had a fridge and a closet and functioning tv. Breakfast was well stocked with a friendly host available to assist/clean. Very close to highway 494 for ease of access.
Man who did the breakfast was so friendly. Clean, safe, quite and reasonable prices. Staff were Great defiantly stay again. The whirlpool in the whirlpool suite was huge and loved that there were 2 TVs in the room
They don't even have housekeeping services. We didn't find this out until we arrived. The rooms were not clean. The service desk was never there. They weren't friendly when they were there or helpful. DO NOT STAY HERE.
Whirlpool needs maintenance as well as other punch list items through out the unit. The front desk is not staffed- rather you must call a phone number for assistance. The time I spoke with someone via phone, he was rude and short. Hung up on me.
For the most part, our stay was fine. There were, however, some concerns that I deemed noteworthy enough to share. First, staff were indifferent and inaccessable. There was no one behind the reception desk unless they were summmoned. This didn't send a "ready to help" message. Rather, it felt like we were imposing when we had a question. An even greater concern is the security risks that this practice creates. Anyone can enter the hotel unmonitored by desk staff, even at night because the front door remained unlocked. I couldn't sleep one night and went for a walk. I saw a vagrant "casing" the front door. A few minutes later he entered the hotel and didn't come out for 10-15 minutes. There may have been security cameras, but those only help after the fact if the door is unmonitored. My second concern is with housekeeping. There was a sign posted about staff shortages in housekeeping, but I saw housekeeping on the job every day. Our room wasn't cleaned. Yes, there were days when we slept in, but it seemed odd. My third concern left us really grossed out. At the end of our stay, we noticed that a medical patch of some kind was melted onto the bed sheet. Certainly not ours. It caused us to question the care the hotel put into cleaning. We might have complained, but, as always, there was no one at the desk and we just wanted to leave after that.
Broken lock on door and no deadbolt, room smelled, breakfast area directly across from room I was placed in was very noisy at 6 am both days. They did not offer to move me to a different room immediately for the lock which made me feel undervalued as a guest, as I had to take my personal belongings with me when I left.
Clean. Friendly staff. Kept breakfast stocked during morning rush. Good location. Right across from mall. Quiet and well maintained. Pool and hot tub area clean. Would definitely stay here again with my family
I checked into the hotel for my Dad and filled his room with snacks and food in the fridge. He was driving from Chicago and ended up coming up a day later. The staff saw he hadn't picked up his room key so they checked him out of the hotel. When he arrived to check in, the front desk gentleman was very rude and unhelpful! The room was gone, the food was gone, and he had to find another hotel. I called the next day and gave my number to the manager to call me back to discuss, but never received a call back. I called over 10 times later that day to try to get a hold of him, but nobody answered. Worst experience ever and I felt so bad for my Dad who had come all that way!
My impression from the ratings on this place is that it reflects the sub $100 price more than any outstandingly aspect of the stay there. This is a motel in the middle of a retail area, with a grocery store, Walmart and other big boxes surrounding it. That's not a negative per se, but the motel shouts out its age, with features reflecting a 50 year old discount motel remodeled. The lobby is very small, with a desk that never has a clerk there ( you have to shout for attention, or call someone from the desk phone). You can walk a half flight down to the first level floors and breakfast area ( a split level motel? Strange) and a pool that's closed of course. On the second and third levels are more rooms, serviced by the slowest elevator in the western world. Sound proofing is nil, as I heard stomping above me every night and morning from my second floor room. The rooms are small by US standards, with a 5x8 bathroom that wedges in a tub, toilet and small sink. Towels are predictably thin and there is no regular room service, as announced by a permanent sign at the front desk (“due to staffing shortages...”) although I was surprised to find my room had been cleaned after my fourth night. The bed was comfortable up to about 6 hours, then the lumpiness factor kicked in and I had to get up. Pillows decent. AC/heat from old window units, and are noisy. I didn't try the breakfasts , but it's the usual assortment of a hot dish, breads and cereals and a waffle machine. I shouldn't complain too much I suppose, as choices of motels at rates under $100 per night are rare in this area. But I checked out thinking that for another $20 a night I could've had a serious upgrade in quality and comfort.
This hotel claimed that it is a Non-Smoking Hotel. When I entered the hotel, the lobby and office desk area smelled bleach. When took the elevator to the 3rd floor, someone was smoking in their room and the hall way in the 3rd floor had cigarette smoke. I felt terrible breathing it and notified the front desk. They tried to do something about it. No use. I can't breathe cigarette smoke and couldn't sleep well that night. This hotel should be claimed as a Smoking Hotel. I couldn't go anywhere that night and had to continue my stay. Horrible experience. Water from the shower tub wasn't going and it took a while to drain. Curtain in the room got torn. Never staying at this Hotel again.
For a 4/5 star review on Google maps, I was disappointed with the quality of the hotel. Hard to access credit card machine for short stature people. Dirty comforter, wobbly shower faucet. Hook missing on bathroom door. Noisy neighbor.
It seems I have a reservation for tomorrow. I do not recall making it as I am not in Minnesota or plan on being until june. So I called to cancel as I could not do it on line. I was told I had some kind of reservation that can not be canceled , so it seems I am not using a room I have paid for. Be carful what you do as this company must not value its customer
We enjoyed our stay as the room was very clean and nights were quiet. We enjoyed the breakfast options and self serve. We definitely were happy there was no carpet in the room instead modern hygienic flooring. You have many options of eating around the hotel and it is in a good location if you are visiting popular attractions nearby.
Good stay overall. Easy to find and free parking. Nice clean room with wood floors and large TV. Small but very clean swimming pool. Needs a larger breakfast area for the number of guests. Very cheerful breakfast assistant. Would like gluten free breakfast options.
The hotel is in a good area. Lots of eating places nearby. Across from the Eden Prairie Mall. Easy to get to and from the Mall of America. This is a small hotel but I did not hear too much noise except when people were in the hallway. The pool is small and so is the breakfast area.
Even though it's a bit dated in some areas (parking lot, side doors), this is a good choice for lodging in Eden Prairie. The rates are good, and they provide a nice hot continental breakfast. The front desk and breakfast staff we interacted with were both excellent (friendly and helpful).
Hotel and staff are amazing! Amazing place for the price and very close to the mall and target! Breakfast was good also! Hotel is clean and well taken care of, not a lot of noise even with people in the hallways! All around a wonderful place!
Property was clean, staff friendly, rooms spotless, breakfast hot and plentiful. I travel approx 200 nights out of 365, this was a gem. I have never stayed at a Best Western and I certainly would again after this stay.
When we arrived the room we had was a jacuzzi suite. I had forgotten that is what we rented and had to call the desk to make sure this is what we had reserved and check the price. Well is was the right room and the price was incredible low. Outstaying value, the staff were outstanding, caring for our welfare and comfort. Would not hesitate to stay again. We highly recommend the Eden Prairie Best Western!!
We like staying at this hotel. It's in a convenient location and not too far away from the attractions around the city. The property is kept up and the rooms are quiet. It was a pleasant change that a hot breakfast was offered. The options were a little limited with cheddar eggs, sausages, waffle and juice but it beats the ‘grab and go' breakfast that was introduced due to covid. One thing that continues to puzzle us is the fact that each time we book a queen room, we seem to end up with a full sized bed instead. Why not just post it as a room with a full bed instead of a queen bedroom?
The other reviews are right. This is a good place to hang your head. The wife and I spent two nights here and enjoyed it. The room was clean, and beds comfortable. I didn't care for the pillows though, seemed a little lumpy to me. The breakfast was good, scrambled eggs or small omelets, and sausage patties. Other things were muffins, bagles, english muffin, juice, coffee etc. There was probably other stuff too that I don't remember. Two minor things I found wrong or annoying, the safety latch on our door refused to engage. Looks like the screws were stripped out and someone tried to put it back together, but didn'd do it right, It refused to engage. And, the lights would randomly flicker, even the TV. Some kind of electrical problem? Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Well work what we paid. And we would stay there again if we were ever in the area. A couple of
No big complaints, but biggest cons were 1 - the room size - very small for a family of 4 to move around and store luggage. 2- on 2 different occasions one of our room cards wouldn't work. I went to the front desk the first time to have it fixed but the second time was the morning of check out so I just used our other key. 3- great continental breakfast but it's over at 9 which is too early in my opinion! 4- the pool is really small, so if there is more than about 8 people in it you can't really move around at all! Otherwise, great staff, clean facility and great price! I would stay there again.
Room was a little dated, with a distinct smell. Using the suitcase cart was fairly difficult as hall and bedroom has very limited clearance. Breakfast area also very small and limited. Budget waffle mixture, no milk and funny looking egg patties. Definite budget lodging.
Upon check-in, I had to request twice that he apply my BestWestern $20 gift certificate. He did not apply the $20 and I was required to pay the full $100+ total on my credit card. Then he issued me a room that had NO WORKING AIR unit. It would not turn on to produce any fan air flow nor A/C. When I mentioned this, he said "oh really". Upon checkout the next a.m. from the stifling room with no air, I inquired a 3rd time about the agent applying my $20 gift certificate as this was not reflected on the checkout folio slid under the room door. He said they will take care of this the next business day. I said no, once I leave the hotel I know this will never be accomplished. It needs to be applied now. So he got the guy from the back office and finally after all my repeated requests to simply use my $20 certificate they begrudgingly applied it toward the room. I had initially called the hotel direct to book my reservation and he said Friday night is sold out. The next day, the BW website shows rooms are still available, so I called the toll free number to make a reservation and they still had 2 rooms left, so calling the hotel on their direct number is not advised as they will deny you a room. Shame on Best Western Eden Prairie Inn for treating customers like this.
Not the fanciest Best Western I've stayed at, but certainly sufficient. The room was clean and the staff was friendly. The beds were sufficiently comfortable. The pool is minuscule and the rooms are pretty small; it felt like being in a college dorm, almost, but not quite. It was good for a night's stay, but it wouldn't be my choice for a longer vacation. Located near many restaurants and places to buy supplies for a journey.
Worked great for our needs. Stayed two nights in the middle of a long road trip (hauling a camp trailer) so we could utilize some reliable internet for a work assignment. Used two rooms for our family including a Jacuzzi room with office for Mom & Dad and a regular double queen room for the teenagers. My request that they be close together was honored. Location was great! When my husband finished his work assignments, he enjoyed a Smash Burger and went to the movies all within walking distance since the rest of the family was at Valleyfair with the car. Front desk was helpful and breakfast attendant was super friendly. Best breakfast we've had since COVID!
This hotel is horrible. They were out of everything. From water at check in to syrup and eggs at breakfast. When I asked about water, since the towns water tastes like beach, they said they had run out. I am a diamond elite card member. I should always receive water and a snack at check-in. They said they had run out in the entire hotel. However, I could buy one from the vending machine. I won't stay here again. The room was also very loud.
We always stay at the Best Western in Eden Prairie. We love the perks and points. But mostly we love the friendly staff and the cleanliness! The breakfast has less options due to Covid but everything was fresh and clean. The pool was open but we didn't have time.
Room had several nonworking items. Not fixed when reported. Hotel staff was not helpful when items were needed. or for late checkout. Room was incredibly noisy. Nonstop whooshing noise in our room from laundry below.
Huge spaces below the does allow ALL the noise into your private coloset-I mean room. Asking for a new room because the children screaming and running and slamming doors all night will get you a "that won't happen again". But it will. It will. And you won't sleep. The light blares into your room ALL night long. Took two people and 20 hr to figure out the heat/ac. Safe your money, sleep in your quiet vehicle. I'm sure the owners are trying, but this place failed terribly.
❌This is not a Pet Free motel RM 120 ❌Very unclean room left with pet fur, dirt, and dust throughout the floors, human hair left on the towels, toilet wasn't flushed ❌9:14am breakfast room I was told “we are closed!” ❌Noise was not helpful with sleep ❌hallways in motel were dirty ❌Beside my side of the bed human yellow dirty nail ❌Sofa bed fitted sheet . king size fitted sheet also had a huge wide rip in it 8-10”L 4-6” ❌paid over priced for a non working order room whirlpool so disappointing! ❌Hotel Management did nothing to resolve the issue
The atmosphere in front lobby and rooms was so fun modern and clean . Love how it was decorated . Everyone was so kind and friendly making you feel at home and the pool and sauna were exceptional, bigger then most . Breakfast was good and location to everything was a real selling pint for me . Beds were very comfortable as were pillows a quite good nights sleep
I usually stay at Best Western motels because of their quality and cleanliness. This place did not have a Best Western feel to it. More like a Sure Stay or Super 8 motel. Tiny lobby, narrow halls, rooms were okay aside from the windows not being washed in ages. Overall worth the $56 I paid but I would rather pay little more to get that quality "Best Western" atmosphere.
was 90 degrees outside. reserved a room a month in advanced. once checked in, the air conditioning was never turned on before my arrival?! room temp was 80 degrees! had to turn on a/c and drive around town for an hour before room cooled down? Best Western knew i was coming. why did they not have room ready for me? my sister checked in same day. same problem with a/c not turned on but their unit didnt even work. had to repack and move to another room that didnt have air on and wait for it to cool down!! hallways of hotel had no a/c in them. if you cant afford to run a/c in the building in the summer, your doing something wrong! figure it out
This is our third stay at this hotel. We like it because of it's location, the friendliness of it's staff, the comfortable and uber quiet guest rooms. We didn't mind that breakfast was limited to juice, coffee and instant oatmeal - that just gave us an excuse to sleep in a little. We like the location because it's within walking distance to the mall, grocer and a multitude of restaurant and it's just right off the freeway. The mini king suite we had was spacious, the bed was super comfortable and the mini fridge and microwave were a plus.
We were assured a first room floor yet didn't get one. There is only 1 ice machine on the first floor. Hot tub looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Fitness equip did not work. Workers couldn't even tell me what was across the street.
My husband and I chose Best Western Eden Prairie because on the headquarters' website it said the company would be taking extra measures during Covid-19 to ensure cleanliness. This was not the case. Yes, my I.D. and credit card were disinfected before being handed back to me and there was plexiglass at the desk, but that was the extent. Employees did not adhere to CDC protocols as no wore masks even when they rode the elevator with us. The room was clearly not thoroughly cleaned. There was a used coffee filter still in the machine and KY jelly in the nightstand. Both of those instances led us to believe that extra diligence in regard to cleaning was not happening. Ordinarily I would just roll my eyes and not think too much of it, but during a pandemic the situation is drastically different. I am unlikely to stay at Best Western in the future because of this experience.
Excellent breakfast. Comfortable rooms. Lovely staff. Internet was not the best but it worked nonetheless! Super close to the airport and Minneapolis and tons of amenities! Overall very happy about it! I totally recommend it.
I am a BW diamond member and always stay with BW if possible. This is the first time I was not awarded points or 2 night stay because I prepaid with my airmiles program. No one informed me I wouldn't receive points - frustrating I would not stay here again
Have stayed there and been happy. Room had hole in bathroom door; security latch on hall door missing; one of chairs fell apart when used. Spouse needs walker and rooms are too small to get around easily. Large furniture added reducing available space. People above us had kids jumping off beds onto floor and running around.
This is an excellent hotel. Close (walking distance) to multiple food establishments, clean, safe and best off all the staff is excellent! From the 2 week I was there I was treated as family. Everyone on the staff from the front desk clerk to the housekeepers, everyone was professional, friendly and efficient. I would recommend this location anytime you are staying in the area. Oh by the way, GREAT PRICE as well.
This hotel is accessed very easily from interstate 494. There are a number of restaurants close by. It is an older hotel but has been nicely updated. The room was very nice and clean, heat worked well and was not noisy, and the bed was comfortable. We had an early check out so did not stay for breakfast. The staff was very friendly and right there to help. This hotel is one of my top 3 hotels to stay at when I'm in the area.
Check in was fast and easy and my room was wonderful! The front desk staff was amazing and answered my questions on the phone before I checked in. They really helped ease my mind when i was freaking out about not being there right at 3 to check in!
This hotel was wonderful! The staff was wonderful! We loved the extras you could put on your waffles. We loved the restaurant that the front desk recommended. She was so polite to my children. Good customer service is hard to find these days and we were more than pleased with our stay. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Great stay at Eden Prairie, Mn Quiet, friendly staff pool and hot tub are nice breakfast is good and has lots of varieties hotel is in great location alot of shopping nearby restaurants coffee shops value of stay is worth a stay
Rooms where small clean though parking lot was pretty small lucky it was not busy.. breakfast was not good so better to go out for breakfast if that is your way to start the day with a good breakfast .. place was kind of old I though seen better days ... but clean and help was very nice
Andrew, was at the desk on arrival. He was friendly, efficient and accurate. The hotel is clean and well maintained. Breakfast was ok and attended. It was an excellent value as well. We will definately stay there again.
We were well pleased with convenient location and hotel in general. Check-in was quick, hotel was very clean, room was nice and included a microwave and small fridge as well as usual amenities. Breakfast was good, a nice variety of selections, including sausages and eggs. Staff was helpful. Express checkout was good. Only negative was strong smell of bleach in lobby when we went thru in both evenings. However, we would stay there again.
My guy and I spent the evening together. Went in the hot tub. The hallways had a strong wet odor but other wise it wasn't bad. Our room was clean. We could hear the floor above us and next door. Otherwise we'd stay here again.
This is definitely an older building but clean and tidy. I was disappointed that the crib we got was broken but we managed to finally get it set up. Breakfast items needed restocked and restocking took quite awhile as the was only 1 person working at it but we did come down to eat 30 min before it was done for the day. Shower was hot and bed comfortable. Room price was outstanding so hard to complain too much about the few things that weren't ideal.
The hotel was hard to find for an out-of-towner. The front desk was not staffed - guests have to call then on the phone. The room was so small that I couldn't use my walker to get around. The bed was comfortable, but way too high. The bathroom lights flickered on and off. The vending machines on 1st and 2nd floors were out of water. (I did get a bottle of water from the desk when i lost $1.50 in the machine.) The place was clean, but too many other negatives. I won't be back.
I have used this hotel several times over the past few years. The rooms have always been clean. The staff very helpful and friendly and the free breakfast has always be enjoyable. I keep coming back to this hotel because it reliable and I have not had a negative experience.
Great location for touring Paisley Park museum. The location is right across from the mall with good restaurants, AMC theatre and other neighborhood amenities. Good value for our short stay. The renovations were adequate but I always get confused on the new flush toilets as to which button to press. LOL The staff was very hospitable and at check out the manager signed me up as rewards member right on the spot to take advantage of current promotion - stay two separate reservations/nights and get one night free (next time). I stayed two nights but she said it had to be two separate reservations. I would stay again.
One of our rooms had mold, super loud on above floor if on floors 1 or 2, great deal service, wonderful location close to a mall and multiple eating places, close to interstate, appealing exterior and rooms,
Spent two nights so could connect up with extended family. Bed was comfortable with clean linens and pillows acceptable. Curtains on one window were torn and the “black out” curtains had blood on them. Breakfast was mediocre at best so we left to get breakfast at an off sight restaurant. Bathroom was the smallest we have ever encountered in a hotel/motel. Desk was never staffed and had to use phone for assistance. Definitely older hotel with major updating required. About ten spots in the parking lot were blocked off for trucks pulling trailers. Extremely inconvenient. Did not realize just a short distance away were at least five other properties at competitive rates. We do not see ourselves returning. Certain the property is acceptable to other travelers; this is just our personal experience.
We were placed in a room directly across from the breakfast lobby. An ice machine was in the hallway right outside our door. My girlfriend pointed this out when we first checked in, but I didn't think it would be an issue. I couldn't have been more wrong...The walls and door of our room must've been paper thin because every time someone used the ice dispenser that night we were awoken by the sound. Then during breakfast hours (6-9am) voices from across the hall woke us up again. The voices were so loud we could barely fall back asleep for the next three hours. My girlfriend and I both sleep with earplugs in and we could still hear the noise. We considered asking for a new room, but we were told when we checked in that we had snagged the last room available. Now I know why it was the last room. Will not be returning to this location.
We were staying overnite because my wife had lasik and we had to have a follow up the next morning. After we arrived wife took a nap and then we were to go for something to eat. Asked the young man at the desk about a place to eat, and he recommended a place he liked to eat at and it was wonderful. The hotel was clean, the price was reasonable, the staff was helpful and nice, the beds were comfey. Met our needs perfectly.
We have stayed here before and find it a nice quiet place and handy location for us when we are in Eden Prairie. Front desk staff are helpful as we needed to add another night to stay and they were very kind and helpful in arranging that. The breakfast is adequate with a variety of options. The only negative about our 3 day stay was the fact that there was a chunk of carpet cut out of the middle of the room the size of and electrical outlet--which did not hurt anything but looked tacky. Other than that the stay was excellent and we will stay again.
This hotel sits back from the main road and is therefore quiet. The interior is strangely arranged. The breakfast room is 4 steps below the lobby in a basement atmosphere with it's low ceilings. The elevator does however, go to that floor. Upon entering the room it was ice cold. Someone had lowered the A/C to the lowest setting full blast. It was like stepping into a walk-in-freezer. The room was spotless but rather cramped for 2 beds. The beds were great. Bathroom lighting was rather dim but remaining lighting was good. Breakfast was not something to write home about.
This hotel was a great price compared to other area hotels. They have a very good breakfast (Eggs, Sausage, Waffles, Muffins etc.) The room was a little small because there is a wardrobe type closet and the TV stand has a refrigerator inside of it (making the TV stand stick out farther than normal.) The beds were comfortable, a great amount of pillows and very clean room.
It was not an extravagant hotel but it was perfect for our family. The pool was a little small but we have 4 little ones so it was a great size for us. The staff was kind, efficient, & friendly. We enjoyed our time & were happy with the price & amenities. We would recommend this place.
We came to see our daughter and son in law and as always Best Western did not disappoint. Check in was efficient and our room was wonderful. I LOVE the nice firm beds ! Breakfast is the best start of the day, coffee is terrific, The gentleman that runs the cafe Donald, is the best kept secret. He is so pleasant and cheerful. Always makes sure everything is well stocked and fresh and hot. I enjoy the egg omelets, and of course the waffles. All the staff that we encountered were very pleasant and welcoming. Check out was also very easy. I love my stays at Best Western Eden Prairie.
the hotel was clean, staff were great and helpful, facility was well maintained. It was a great price and value for the location which was close to the national indoor tennis championship The location was surrounded by shopping centers, groceries, and restaurants. Easy in and out of the hotel parking lot. Quiet corner.
Stayed here for four nights with our young family of five. Rooms were a little small but it served as "just a place to sleep", and we slept very well - room and bathroom were clean, beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, and we didn't hear a thing from the hallway or other rooms despite the hotel being completely booked. The pool wasn't huge but it was perfectly fine, as was the whirlpool. Location is good - very close to the highways in the SW end of MSP. There's a mall and several restaurants very close by. We loved Donald, the breakfast host, who ensured that the hot food was always stocked, kept the smallish dining area clean, and engaged us with nice conversation. The only just slightly negative feedback from our stay was that the afternoon/evening clerk on duty every day that week wasn't exactly the most warm or welcoming individual we've ever met, and again the room was quite small compared to other double-queen rooms we usually stay in. Otherwise, no real complaints and would highly recommend!
I was traveling with two other people and the Best Western Eden Prairie Inn was a great place to stay. Was handy to 494 to travel quickly to the attractions in the general area and hotel was clean and comfortable. Friendly staff, comfy beds, nice pool and hot tub area, and decent breakfast. I would consider this hotel in the future when staying in the Cities, which is once or twice a year on average.
We had a last minute change of plans in the area and checked in to this Best Western. Exterior is modest but the inside is updated and clean. The staff we encountered were all friendly. My family enjoyed the pool and the breakfast, though the breakfast room is quite small. The room was clean and comfortable. It was much more reasonably priced than any other hotel in the vicinity.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff was efficient and friendly. It was close to excellent restaurants and shopping. They offered amenities that could be enjoyed by all ages. We will stay there again if we are in the area
What a perfect place to stay.We stayed 2 nights. There is not 1 thing to complain about. Our room was located between the pool & the breakfast room.Didn't hear a thing.Loved our room, fresh, clean, comfortable & relaxing. At the end of the day we sat on the bench right outside the entrance. My husband & I enjoyed watching the planes flying over, & watching the sunset. We never heard the planes when in our room. When we left my husband said I did well finding this place.
My girlfriend and I come from different parts of Minnesota to meet in the Twin Cities to shop, eat, and laugh a lot. We found this little gem of a hotel with perfect location for us near shopping & restaurants. Great immenities (refrigerator, microwave, etc., very comfortable beds, attractive room with helpful staff.
We visit family in New Ulm each year. To shorten the drive to the airport on the morning of our early departure we have stayed at this hotel for the 4th year. It's in a great location - right off 494 and lots of restaurants near by. Rooms are spacious and clean. The bed is so comfy and it's always quiet.
I have been here twice on business trips. Hotel has goid location fir shopping and eating as well as easy access to multiple highways. Staff was very helpful in addressing a few concerns I had like warming up the poll temp. Would stay here for pleasure trip if I was here for that too.
We always stay here when flying in/out of MSP airport. We enjoy the location, convenient to shopping, dining and the airport. The rooms have been recently updated with terrific new matresses! The staff are always friendly and helpful. I definitely would recommend this hotel, it is reasonably priced and we always have a great stay!!
My husband and I wanted a quiet weekend away and this hotel was the right price and right location. The room was a little small, but very clean and everything seemed in great shape. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint was that there was a lot of snow and the entry to the back door was not cleaned off very well. Otherwise, wonderful experience!
Overrall wasn't bad - tv signal kept braking up - old style hotel - well located - breakfast was super good both mornings - access to the hotel kind of restricted - located right next to Hwy # 5 - we were there for the 34th Bob M'Connor Hockey Tournament
Reasonably priced for area.. Close to all amenities. Just off freeway with easy commute to sites near Minneapolis. Breakfast is good with hot and cold items. Always quite even with families staying. Pool, and fitness center available.
Outstanding 3 night stay! Older hotel, but has been nicely updated. The staff was exceptional and made our stay most enjoyable, especially the breakfast attendant (Donald?) who made the start of each day fun. Hot tub was nice & hot. Breakfast was great with waffles, eggs and meat (either bacon or sausage... depending on the day), and the usual continental fare. Beds were very comfy, and the microwave and mini fridge worked great. No issues with wifi. The only drawback was the entry drive... a little hidden & we missed it there first time by. Conveniently located of the interstate and less than 20 minute drive from airport & Mall of America.
Best Western has always been a comfortable property so this hotel in Eden Prarie is no exception...A simple check in plus a cozy bed equals repeat business...Breakfast was good and the checkout was just as good as the check in so keep up the good work...
This is great value hotel. The recent remodeling makes it even better. The staff are always super nice. I use it for business and love the location - grocery store, mall, Best Buy, Office Depot, and several restaurants all very short walk from property. Less than a mile to get on 494 or 212 and get anywhere in Minneapolis easily.
The hotel was clean, new beds being delivered and mine was great. Pool was warm and spa excellent. Breakfast with Donald was a highlight. He always had food, even at the end of breakfast. Eggs, meat, waffles, juice, fruit, rolls, etc... My only issue was some of the lamps and outlets didn't work. Staff was superb.
Stayed here over the weekend. The room was clean, bed comfy and bathroom amenities were a pleasant surprise. The microwave and fridge were also a welcome convenience. The hotel staff were helpful and courteous. The only issue we had during our stay was how much the noise in the hallways transferred through the room doors. We were awoken by the room service running the vacuum's on our first morning then hotel guests laughing in the hallways in our second morning. They also had not repaired their sign at the entrance which was reported back in September by another guest. The driveway is easy to miss if you aren't paying very close attention and if you miss, you'll have to take the long way around as the street exits onto Flying Cloud Drive.
Wonderful location and value, warm & accommodating staff that are very helpful. The rooms are equipped with microwaves, refrigerators, comfortable beds, and everything was clean. We were pleased and will stay there again.
We stayed here 2 nights while en route to Austin TX. A friend suggested it and we're glad we took her advice. Our goal was to visit the Arboretum and Minnehaha Falls. This hotel is well located for both. We also toured James J. Hill House and killed some time when the weather wasn't ideal, in Mall of America. The hotel is also situated adjacent to a grocery store, liquor store and gas station plus a Smash Burger (gourmet burgers). They also offer a hot breakfast (waffles, eggs, breakfast meat - bacon /sausage, toast, bagels) as well as typical cold breakfasts (cereal, fruit, yogurt). We would stay here again.
My wife and I arrived after midnight after driving for hours in an early snowfall. Our room was still waiting despite a full parking lot. This location has a great electric vehicle charger which we depend on. We find this location offers great travel value and proximity to services.
The BW Eden Prairie Inn was a great value stop in the MSP area. The hotel itself is plain, rooms are clean but nothing noteworthy. Breakfast buffet was one of the highlights of the stay, the place where the hotel most went above and beyond.
This Best Western property is average in every respect. The lobby is plain, the rooms simple and the staff uninterested in your stay, The entrance sign had been hit and left unrepaired in the driveway which does not leave a good impression when arriving. The refrigerator in the room is a nice touch and Donald does a good job in the cramped dining area. Easy access back to 494 going east, but tough going west. Better stays are nearby.
We stayed here to visit the MN State Fair. Only about a mile to the bus terminal to take to the fair. Room was newly refurbished. Smaller but adtquate bathroom. Staff at the front desk were super friendly. But the highlight was the amazing person who takes care of the breakfast area. Donald was friendly, cheerful, greeted everyone, whisked our used plates away, and kep the dining room spotless and stocked with food. He was delightful. We ate next door at Davanni's Pizza. Great pizza and wine or beer available. We had a nice stay and would return.
It's nothing huge or overly extravagant but it's very nice, close to their mall, a grocery store, restaurants and a gas station. The rooms were spotless-looked newly redone (vacuumed, wiped down, even smelled great, with actual decent soap and shampoo), hallways clean, always greeted with a nice clean beautiful lobby with the Front Desk staff smiling and greeting you, continental breakfast was regular size, but tasted fresh and great everyday and the breakfast attendant was the friendliest most helpful man, small pool but nice and clean with a hot tub and showers/restroom in the pool room. Easy access to the cities. I have never been more impressed with a hotel in my life!
When we checked into a room, there was a smell in the room. Windows seal was pealed off, but we managed to move to a different room. At the other room, we were surprise to find food left in the microwave. TV was not working, due to loose cable. Breakfast was policed by a staff. He might find himself helpful, but some customer might find that disturbing. As Hotel Management this might keep cost down, but this is not for everyone. Checking on every move of customers in the breakfast area is a privacy invasion.
We had a lovely stay at this best western. Everyone was nice and they upgraded us to a king suite. We were right across from the mall and could walk across the street and just leave the car parked. There was a small pool and whirlpool, as well as a small outdoor patio. We'd stay again if we are in the area again.
This hotel was convenient to local roads, highways to get in and out of the Twin Cities efficiently. It was close to shopping such as Cub Foods, Target and restaurants. The staff were warm and professional. Overall, great place to stay if you are visiting this area for business or vacation.
Good location to Highway and close to restaurants and shopping. Lobby area for lounging was very small right across from the check in desk so not very relaxing. Room was small with large dark furniture compounding to the smallness. Bathroom was ok and shower had good water pressure. Not much of a view looking out window at a dock area with a few skids piled up. We did like the nice pool. The breakfast was good but simple and the attendant was a very pleasant fellow making sure everyone had what they needed. Too bad the room for breakfast was small and crowded. We stood for a few minutes before someone got up and left. 2.5* if I could give half stars.
Excellent location close to food and shoping, access to interstate Excellent room, large clean and good beds andfriendly and helpful staff Great breakfast and the attendant was always busy restocking and cleaning area
The hotel's location is very convenient, close to the expressway entrance and next door to Cubs Foods. The room was clean and comfortable. There was enough variety of food at the breakfast ant the service was good.
This is not your typical hotel all flat when you come in, park and check in, you have to pay attention to the entrance as there is only one, however their service starting with Donald at the helm of the breakfast buffet is great, the breakfast area in on a lower level but big enough to eat comfortable. Hayley provided us with superb housekeeping service and her attention to detail like nobody else. Front desk also like you would expect. Room was comfy, clean and worth the money. There is a Target and mall across the street as well as hamburger place next to the hotel worth the trip and Cub a grocery store within a minute or less walking
The room was okay, the shower didnt drain well so you stood in about 4 inches of water for most of your shower. The breakfast was okay. They offered waffles, fresh fruit, cereal and some eggs and sausage patties. Loved that they had flavored creamers for the coffee. Pool and hot tub were nice as well. Loved that it was across the street from a mall and only a short drive to the Mall of America.
This hotel is in a great location in Eden Prairie, mall right across the street, fair amount of restaurants near the hotel, Smashburger is right next door. Easy 15 minute drive to Paisley Park or 20 minutes to downtown Minneapolis.
Very unhappy! Employees need to know more about the hotel.. That's their job to know about everything..Dont give false information..when I went to check out she just said they will check you out in the morning.. not concerned a bit that I wasn't satisfied.
We stayed here with two pets for an additional fee. Parking was free. There is a pool, jacuzzi, and free breakfast buffet. The location is very convenient if you need to be in Eden Prairie. It is within a block of many stores and restaurants. We stayed here while our wood floors were being refinished. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was easy to walk the dogs on sidewalks all around the large block. I booked on-line, and I would say it was a great value for what we paid for the stay, pets and all. The beds/pillows were more firm than I prefer though. It was quiet most of the time at night. There is an elevator and stairs. It is a smaller hotel.
All good no big complaints. The sheets on the bed seemed worn out and a little uncomfortable but all together a good clean place. I have stayed hear before and returned to have another nice stay with no other issues. Just would like to see softer sheets.
We stayed at this property after having attended a concert at Mystic Lake Casino. First, the property is convenient to the casino and to I494, making it an excellent choice for our travel plans. Next, the building is well maintained and the lobby quite inviting. Our room was large, clean, and well equipped. The staff was professional, friendly, and courteous. The complimentary breakfast met our needs and offered options available at comparable hotels. Finally, the AARP discount made our stay affordable. All in all, we would recommend staying at the Best Western Eden Prairie Inn. If we could we would give the hotel a 4.5 (A-)
We found everything to be exceptible, Our only complaint is that the bed was to firm for our liking. The room was clean and neat. We did have a problem with the outlets on the desk , but just used another outlet. Breakfast was very good. Expecially the omlets.
Good stay. The only issue is the wireless speed and keeps dropping connectivity. They need to put a printer at the lobby computer. Trying to print wirelessly to the printer behind the front desk does not work. Other than that, my 12 day stay was great.
Great stay. All round service and staff made for a pleasant experience. This family owned Inn takes pride in making their guests feel comfortable. Went the extra effort to help many in the Jan 22nd snow storm.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. The new updates to the lobby area are great. The rooms are still out of date but the rooms are clean and comfortable. The new breakfast area is so much nicer than what they had before. The breakfast itself has many choices and is all good quality food.
Great location, close to malls and other sites. Staff is friendly and helpful. Our room was quiet and clean, breakfast was fantastic- lots of hot and cold choices - we didn't go away hungry. We would definitely choose this hotel again if in the area.
Staff was friendly room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided a wide range of options and the mini fridge had a freezer which was quite nice. Pool and hot tub were clean and a welcome amenity after a long drive.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise; fairly newly remodeled, clean, fresh room with a decent breakfast and staff was friendly. It was convenient to the Chanhassen Dinner Theater and close to the freeway to get me on my way in the morning, though you couldn't hear the traffic inside. Would definitely stay here again.
Good value hotel. Older property but wonderful service from the front desk checkin to breakfast room staff to housekeeping. Friendly all the way around. Loved how the breakfast staffer took it upon himself to call upon me when I was at the front desk checking out. He couldn't check me out but called the appropriate staff. Others would have said that's not my job but he was great. Location is across from a big shopping mall including Target and Walmart about a block away. Lots of restaurant choices nearby and easy highway access.
The hotel staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean and comfortable. Did not wake up early enough for the breakfast or used the Fitness room so I am no help with the amenities but the in-room internet was working fairly well and overall, the atmosphere of the hotel was welcoming. Great stay!
This particular hotel is one I am very happy to have had the chance to experience. Very beautiful and excellently staffed. I highly recommend them. If ever I am in that area again I will not hesitate to stay with them.
Although there was some construction going on during our stay, the hotel was very clean and the staff was very pleasant to work with. The hotel was easy to get to and it was in a quiet area of town so there wasn't a lot of city noise to disturb you. We had a small issue with the tub faucet not working correctly for the shower use but over all the experience was excellent.
Never stay in that hotel on weekends, once you pay your money and complain they will never listen to you and when you decide to leave they wouldn't refund your money back..bedbugs everywhere.. I told the Indian man on the front desk come and check my room coz i wasn't happy..Instead he told me, sir sir sir please you need to leave...what a waste!!!.
Just OK. Bathroom was small, tub was slippery and ladies, don't try to apply make-up in that dark bath. Room clean. Furnishings OK, if a little too much furniture for that size room....bumped leg on table getting in room.. Otherwise OK. In other words, except for the above mentioned issues, the room was pretty much standard issue, middle of the road motel room.
Friendly staff great breakfast close to mall and other shops restaurants nearby. Very nice place. Would stay again and recommend to friends when visiting the area. Room was small but since I was the only one it was not an issue.
OK place to stay in the area. This was not our first choice, but we did not want to pay the much higher rates that other hotels in the area wanted. Its often hard to find moderate rates in the Minneapolis area. Rooms were clean. Quiet at night. Near a mall with lots of eating places near. Friendly staff. Not a bad place to stay for the night.
the right place for the right price , convenience , free and secure parking , good swimming pool for the kids , clean rooms , good breakfast and cool hotel staff . closed to main roads and highways , always next to shopping centers and restaurants , rooms equip with the basics , coffee , not a 5 star gold cover hotel but the price you pay is right
Though our rooms were just a little small they were very clean and comfortable. The staff at the hotel was the main reason I will use this hotel again in the future . A big thank you to their desk personnel,to their room service people, and the gentleman who serviced the breakfast room in the mornings, they were all extremely friendly helpful and professional. They made our stay very enjoyable
Have stayed here numerous times over the years. Always good value, pleasant staff, great location. Rooms not large, but large enough. Nice appearance, clean, located close to mall, many restaurants, large grocery store nearby, some within walking distance.
Everyone from the front desk staff to housekeeping were so friendly! One morning we did not have time for breakfast so we were offered a pre-packed to go breakfast with a water, granola bar and fresh fruit. Great touch!
I am sorry, but the beds are HANDS DOWN the most uncomfortable hotel beds I've ever tried to sleep on. I'm a 10 hour period I got 4 hours of sleep because of how much pain I was in from that bed not being supportive...and I'm less than 30 years old and it hurt me.
We visited for 3 nights to visit some twin City landmarks. We are not fussy travelers when staying at hotels. We just need a good place to sleep. Location: it's far from the usual attractions but is very close to the I-494. ex. Mall of America is 10-15 minutes away. There are a bunch of restaurants and a small mall within walking distance plus Walmart and Target very close by. Service: Friendly & helpful service at all levels. Room: Adequate for our purposes. No complaints. Extra: Hot breakfast available until 9am (take note late risers). Pool open until 10pm. Elevator close to front desk. Parking: There were always available spaces. Not sure about US holidays though. Would definitely stay again.
Friendly, helpful staff, clean room. Kids enjoyed the pool. Several selections at breakfast, attendant was very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and will be back when in the area. Highly recommend this hotel.
Softball team from Illinois couldn't have chosen a better hotel for location and value. The staff was attentive to reservation changes and provided a wonderful experience for our 4 night stay. Location is in the middle of a great shopping mall Restaurants and close to anything you would want to explore including lake minnetonka and the mall of America. During your visit I would recommend Maynard's lakeside restaurant/bar in Excelsior
The outside of the Hotel was nicely landscaped and well lit. The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel location was easy to find and near a mall and gas station. It was easy to access the interstate and get to desired destinations. The staff was helpful in suggesting best routes to avoid long delays. The hotel room was cleaned daily and the staff made sure to provide fresh towels, new tolietries, and fluffed the pillows. The breakfast was great and the cook was friendly and made sure no one went without food and made sure the area was clean and tidy. Everyday the breakfast selection varied and this was a nice to have new choices.
After having a bad experience earlier in the night at another hotel, this place was a life saver. We got the last room for the night! Great value! Super clean! Would definitely recommend others to stay here and will stay here on future visits to the area.
This hotel is well locates beside the I424 which makes it easy to get to the downtown or mall of America which is about 20 mins away. Being a dog friendly hotel is a huge bonus and the room was very clean. Front desk was very helpful with directions and questions about local transit
My daughter has been wanting to go to the MOA (Mall of America) for many years and we finally made it! Family left from Michigan and drove out and back to take in the sites along the way at MN. Stayed at Best Western motels and, with the exception of one bad experience at the Milwaukee Airport, we enjoyed our stays.
We were traveling with our GoldenRetriever, so we had limited choices near the small town we were visiting that didn't gouge us with $75 non-refundable pet cleaning fees on top of a nightly fee. This hotel in Eden Prairie gave us quick access to the interstate so we could cover our distance back and forth in less than 30 minutes (as long as we didn't try to travel during rush hour!), and was also about that distance to Minneapolis. Although the rooms are fairly small, they were well-furnished, and appeared to be fairly new or recently remodeled. Bedding was in good shape, room was clean and had all the amenities needed to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable (i.e., microwave, fridge, coffeemaker - nice TV). We were given a room on 2nd floor (had elevator access) but next to the stairs to make trips outside with the dog quick and painless with a nice area to walk him. The morning breakfast was a nice treat! Pastries, bagels & cream cheese, toast, scrambled eggs and a meat (sausage patties/links/bacon). Waffle maker, yogurt, cereal, juice, etc. Delicious!! But what MADE breakfast the best was the amazing staff person who kept things filled, cleaned, manned the waffle station during peak times to ensure things were kept rolling! To top it off, he was as friendly, happy and polite when 'people' can be anything but in the mornings! What a treat!! All the staff we encountered were helpful and courteous. There is a small swimming pool and a hot-tub that we were not able to take advantage of, so I cannot comment on those.
We chose this property for its proximity to the Junior Volleyball Tournament at the Minneapolis convention center. It was much more economical than downtown, and had plenty of dining and shopping choices nearby. The pool passed muster with the children, and so did breakfast.
From the outside you would expect dull and dingy but on the inside it rivals many boutique hotels. Rooms are small but comfortable. Personnel are friendly. Well appointed and clean. I have stayed at this hotel about 4 or 5 times the last 2-3 years and it is consistently good. Breakfast is nice - hot waffles, eggs, cereals and yogurts. Its simple but a good start to the day.
This is a good value place to stay when visiting attractions and locations on the western side of the Twin Cities. It is not the quietest situation, but has the advantage of being near to several restaurants. The rooms are acceptable.
Excellent rooms. Clean, neat. Comfortable beds. Plenty of outlets for charging phones, computer. Personnel were courteous and very helpful. Fast check in, check out. As usual, in a hurry, and not held up at the front desk. Check in took 2-3 minutes.
The location is perfect for the southwest Twin Cities suburbs, although the area is busy. There is a good range of restaurants nearby. For the area, the value is wonderful. We would happily stay at this Best Western again.
This is the third time we've stayed here and as in the past the room was good, staff friendly and helpful and the breakfast more than adequate. In our opinion the staff & accomodations have always been great plus a great location surrounded by stores and restaurants, this is where we stay when we come visit the kids everytime. For this trip a special thanks to Donald, Lucas & Monica!!
Perfect location for us, but surprised by all the updates. Very fresh! Great courteous and helpful staff, awesome breakfast, and nice pool. Close to shopping, restaurants, and gas is just across the street. Price was extremely reasonable for what they offer.
Couldn't ask for a nicer place to stay, especially considering the very reasonable rate. The rooms were very clean. Very friendly and helpful front desk gal, and employees... And the breakfast was excellent.
This was a one night stop on a girls weekend trip. The hotel looks like it has been recently updated and is very nice. The room was clean and we didn't hear any noise from other guests. The staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is free and close to the hotel. The elevator was new so there was no baggage trolley. However we were happy there was an elevator. The breakfast was tasty. I love waffles and they had a waffle machine. The temperature was easy to control. The bed was super squeaky when you got in and out. The room was compact and efficient. However for the girls weekend and lots of toilet does we ran out of counter space in the bathroom. Overall this was a fine hotel and I would recommend it.
All staff are excellent. Superior customer service. Anan is always delightful to deal with. Morning breakfast attendant on weekend is amazing. So professional and friendly. We stay at this BW when we are in the cities. Wouldn't consider any where else. Thank you
The breakfast and service were excellent. The bed was in need of being replaced- sagging, squeaking, sink in soft. The service was wonderful. The hotel was clean. The location was great. Just slow internet and a bad bed.
We had previously stayed at this location, and decided to return. Construction work being done to install elevator. It 'appeared' that work had started, but has not been completed. It may never be completed. Unsafe in many aspects. Hot breakfast offerings are adequate, but no decaf coffee. And little fruit.
Very nice hotel in a great Eden Prairie location. Located adjacent to Eden Prairie Mall with great freeway access. Breakfast was very nice with a super nice breakfast attendant. Rooms were nice and quiet.
I need a bed and bathroom for a two-night stay and I was happy with my stay and the little time I spent in the room! The location of this hotel was in a nice area and across the street was a gas station and mall not to mention a 24hour grocery store in case you needed anything. Staff was friendly and breakfast was good for me(although they were lacking in the bacon now that I think about it but I like sausage too so it was good)!
After we checked into our room, it started to smell strongly of cigarette smoke. Guests signed an agreement that there would be a $200 charge is they smoked in the room. When I called the front desk, the clerk said he would investigate. The smell did not go away. I went to the deck to complain and was told that the people in the room above us were smoking in the bathroom and the smell came into our bathroom through the fan vent. He had told them to stop smoking. They did not. In the morning the same thing happened. When I talked to the day clerk at the desk, she gave us a 50% reduction on the cost of our room and said that the other people should have been kicked out of the motel the night before when they were caught smoking.
The hubs and I stayed here for 7 nights and highly recommend it! Hot breakfast every morning, with some items rotating so it's not the same everyday. Donald, the breakfast attendant, was delightful and saw that everyone was getting a great start to the day. Rooms were extremely comfortable and well-appointed, and temps controlled by thermostats on the wall. Indoor pool and hot tub, laundry room, comfy lobby seating, 24-hour coffee/hot tea. Minimal noise. Perhaps the only drawback is the absence of an elevator and luggage carts. Not bad if you're on the first floor, but there are three floors, so you may have a built-in exercise program.
I stayed at the Best Western Eden Prairie, MN for three days with 5 of my friends for a girls' weekend. The hotel was clean and served our needs well. The best part of our stay was Donald, the breakfast attendant. He was so friendly and belpful. When he realized we were a group of 6 women together, he suggested an auxiliary room for us to sit in where we could all be together and talk as long as we wanted. He joked with us and offered to bring us anything we needed. We enjoyed having him help us all 3 mornings. He was a delight!
This is inexpensive and clean. I stay frequently for work and hockey with the family. It has always been clean and relatively quiet. Small pool is ok for kids. Walking distance liquor store and shopping wall and Walmart is less than a mile. Breakfast is just ok but it is free and easy. A safe bet for the price.
On the media site, the direction on how to reach the hotel are inadequate and need to be more specific. The hotel appears to be middle-aged, but is well kept and clean. The biggest advantage is that it is a good value for the money and it is in a good location in the city.
Hotel was very well kept up the front desk staff was very nice and friendly, We did have my daughter's money taken on our stay they seemed like they didn't care :( Said his staff have been there for years. Other than that the breakfast was great pool was nice. Shower was awesome
Great value / accomadations for money. Good breakfast - combination of hot and cold. Location across from mall and most amenities in area. Easy freeway on and off access cutting travel times. Short distance to numerous attractions.
This place was above my expectations. I travel often and have stayed in many hotels from 1 star to 4 stars. This hotel was well kept and the staff was some of the friendliest and helpful I have experienced.
Watch this place, they prey on travelers and steal from their room. Do not leave anything in room. Managers did nothing to resolve issue but say " my staff would never do that" They never followed up or assisted. Crummy looking place, no elevator(3 floors), Beds squeak like a dorm room bed, looks like it was built in the 1950's. wouldn't make my dog stay there even thought it was "Pet friendly" Stay at the Marriot or the Hyatt-Same price but 10 times the quality
Nice hotel in a nice location. Rooms were nice with good storage space. Breakfast was good and there were a lot of eating places in the area and a mall right across the street. Friendly staff who want to assist you.
My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel while we were on vacation in the Minneapolis area. We stayed July 8-16. The hotel was ok for the price I guess. While we were staying there we noticed that we were missing a certain item. We thought that maybe we left it somewhere else so we didn't think much about it. However, another item ended up coming up missing. On our way out the next day the housekeeping asked if we needed services. We told them no, not today. When we arrived back at the hotel, housekeeping had been in our room even though we asked them not to. I did talk to the manager. He stated that he would talk to housekeeping but the housekeeper had been with them for several years. I was very upset that the manager didn't offer any further assistance. I definitely would never recommend anyone to stay there. It's hard enough to keep your stuff safe when you're vacationing, but it's even harder when your hotel is not safe.
Great location, very clean & comfortable, pleasant staff. Bed was comfortable, bathroom was spotless. Room fixtures were clean. Usually I don't sleep very well the first night or two in a new place, but I slept very well both nights I was there.
This hotel location was located in the middle of an awesome variety of shopping and restaurants. Also 15 min car ride to Mall of American and Paisley Park - Prince's House! I highly recommend Eden Prairie Best Western to all.
Great location that was close to Valley Fair Amusement Park and Mall of America. Clean hotel with friendly staff and a nice fitness room. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a good burger place right next door.
A Warm greeting, Efficient check-in, a clean room with a comfortable bed and nice shower are what we received here. This hotel is conveniently located near restaurants in the industrial corridor and just minutes from Bloomington and Mall of America.
This was a very comfortable motel and conveniently located for the activities we wanted to do. The internet worked well. There was a good variety of items on the breakfast bar. The rooms were well lit and the a/c was quiet and made for a comfortable night.
Overall, the stay was just fine - just little things were the issue. Missing coffee Pot, and a dirty register at the heat/cooling unit. We stayed for only one night, and would have preferred the hotel in Shakopee, but it was booked, so we went with the next closest hotel - Eden Prairie's.
It's pet friendly which is great because we travel with our dog. Very clean room. The shower is good size. The price is reasonable. The room was nice and quite it had a microwave and frig. Good location it's close to the mall a few food places. We didn't use the pool but there were quite a few other people using it and they were having fun.
The hotel location is great, the rooms are big enough and clean, decent brakfast, washer and dryer service, small swimming pool and hot tub. Enough for the money. Plenty restaurants for lunch and dinner in the area. Walking distance from grocery shops and Eden Prairie Center Mall. Yes walking distance.
This motel is convenient to everything in and near Eden Prairie. Had king room which also had lounge chair and desk. Refrigerator and coffee maker in room. Reasonably quiet. It is bit of challenge to find the entrance.
This hotel has a very convenient location, good breakfast buffet, and fast internet at a most affordable price. While the fitness room is sub-average there is a small lake nearby that has an excellent running path around it. Lots of shopping and restaurants close by. Also an outstanding mall across the street from the hotel.
This was a great stay, the bed was nice, the room was clean and the shower was hot. The internet was the only service I had issue with but that could be due to the fact I was in a far end room. I may have been too far from WiFi access point for reliable signal.
Small room, but had everything I needed. Front desk staff friendly, efficient, and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Noise was very minimal. Will be staying here again when back in the cities.
It's so fun to visit family, but we often need a little time to ourselves. This hotel filled that function perfectly. It has all the basic amenities but was smaller and quieter to provide us with a little get-away. Staff was cheerful and responded quickly to requests. The fresh fruit at breakfast was tasty, but the rest was typical fare.
The room was a little small for the two of us, but it was clean and provided all the amenities we needed to be comfortable. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast, although not gourmet, provided enough choices to please most people.
I stay at Best Westerns very frequently. I chose this BW because of its proximity to my work. The hotel was a disappointment, Ugly, outdated décor and color scheme. A few too many new employees that didn't know what to do and there was only a freight elevator for the 3 floors. No printer at the business center (so what's the point of having one) and the rooms--VERY noisy you can hear everything going on in the hallways and close rooms.
Love the daytime desk clerk -- Rocky! She is great! Very helpful and generous with her time to help visitors. Overall good stay at the hotel (although we spent 4 out of 5 days in our room sick....sigh....) Only difficulty was at check-out - we had contacted the hotel prior to booking and was told there would be a one-time $20 fee for our pets. Upon check-out there were (2) $20 fees per day added to our bill for a total of $200. They were removed, but I was not happy.....
The outside look of this hotel might lead you to think it is not as updated and as nice as it is. Inside the hotel has been updated and is wonderful for the price. The location is great-close to the twin cities. Also, it is close to major shopping. They provide a nice breakfast, too. The staff is nice, and we found other hotel guests so friendly. I'm guessing that is due to the warm, welcoming feel of the hotel. The price was such a value; I recommend this property.
A quiet, pleasant place to stay at a reasonable price. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast, while somewhat basic, was hot and delicious. Parking area was more than adequate. Front desk staff was most pleasant and helpful. Hotel property is near major roadways and easy to find. Great bed linens. Large TV with plenty of stations.
One of the cleanest hotels that I have stayed at. No dust anywhere. Bedding and towels extremely white. Comfortable mattress for sleeping. Quiet, and no noise from other customers. Great location. Across the street from a mall, gas station and grocery. Breakfast was hot, could use a bit more imagination to it.
Everything about it was excellent quality. Rooms were nice and so was staff. Amazing value as well. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Eden Prairie. Ranked the 2nd best hotel in the area for a reason.
The king suite was clean and comfortable for a multi night stay. The breakfast area certainly left something to be desired as it was very small, in the main lobby right next to the entry, so much so that we didn't even take advantage of this. A couple of the nights it was -20 outside but the room was warm and comfortable after being out during the day.
Very nice hotel property. Everything was fairly new and updated. The rooms are a bit small, but not too big of a deal for us. Friendly staff, convenient location. Not too far to Mall of America, Valleyfair, or the Albertville and Eagan outlets.
The bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The room was clean and modern. I would choose this motel the next time I am in the area. The area was very quiet. Breakfast offered a variety of food items.
Best Western hotels are always our first choice for stays in the U.S. They consistently have clean facilities, very comfortable beds, breakfast included and friendly, professional staff. Their service is second to none. The membership awards are certainly a bonus and of benefit to our travels.
great for the price and the location for were we needed too stay clean room. Out side could use a little up dating and breakfast area a little cramped. and staff was very freindly and over all for the price a great value
This hotel has excellent access to the Eden Prairie Mall and Loop 494, as well as major local roadways. Clean, up-to-date, friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, fast internet, and very low price. An excellent value.
There is no elevator - but that is the only issue I would tell folks to whom I would recommend this hotel. Excellent room #200, good experience with the friendly, courteous help, hot tub, and no questions asked about our two cats - a rare experience for us. Animal friendly is a big deal for us.
Hotel Staff were very friendly, and helpful! I spent over 2 weeks in this hotel. Bed was much too hard for my liking. Room was smallish. I didn't get my sheets changed when asked. I stayed near one of the exits, and was woken up on a regular basis from doors slamming. Fridge in room was nice, but it was noisy enough to wake me up. Jacuzzi was nice. Upgrade the toilet paper!
Clean, comfortable and a pleasant staff. Very impressed with the bed. Best sleep I have had away from home in years. If anyone asks me I tell them to stay here. I do not know what else to say but I am trying to fill the 200 characters.
The hotel was adequate for our needs, but we had asked for a handicapped room and had to go down three steps to get there. No elevators for anyone. Time element let us not have a morning breakfast the first morning & passed on it the second morning. Otherwise; the hotel was located okay but getting to some places to eat was a bit hard.
I stayed here with my son while in the cities for an event. The hotel was overall quite nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was decent, even though the seating space was awkwardly spaced out. (some was downstairs) We enjoyed our stay. The wi-fi was great, unlike what is sometimes seen when it is included. The pool was warm and well cared for. We will consider coming back again.
Have stayed here before, and it was a good value then. Was pleasantly surprised to find the rooms and common areas significantly upgraded, still reasonable cost. Recommend this hotel for value and location.
I always look for good value based on price and reviews. this is it! The place was magnificent in the rooms, the people staying there Were quiet, the price was loW ( only $10 to 20 above the Bad places). definitely a place I recommend for couples, single people traveling, or anyone else. I suspect the price is higher during other seasons, but if it is a good price then take it! breakfast and internet were both fine
Pretty much as others have said. Recently renovated, clean, nice sized rooms, good free wifi, comfy bed, clean and extremely quiet. All of these things are important to me so this hotel was a great fit. Maybe not so much if you need the elevator though. The breakfast is acceptable... not Hampton Inn in quality or variety but still more than adequate. Super location too with seemingly dozens of dining options in a short drive and several you could walk to in decent weather. If they can hold the line on prices and keep doing everything they're doing right, we'll be back.
We stay at this hotel during every visit to the Minneapolis area. We are never disappointed. The rooms are clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is near shopping and dining and only an easy 15 minute drive to the airport.
This is the second time we've stayed here, last time in a regular room a couple of days but this time we stayed for a week in the jacuzzi suite and it was great and well worth the extra cost. The staff was great especially on cleaning the room on our unusal time schedule, breakfast was good, internet worked, and the location is close to lots of stores and shops in walking distance and it's quiet at night. This is our number one choice when visiting the kids out there.
Very nice with good staff personalities. Tv channels and complimentary breakfast are okay. Location and atmosphere is also good for rest. Internet facilities was excellent though time out cycle is too short
I stayed here the other day. They were still setting up the new stuff and the whole place smelled CLEAN and NEW. The beds were very nice. The bathrooms have been remodeled. It's fantastic. The guy at the desk was super nice and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.
Everything was fine witjh the hotel, friendly staff, clean and quiet enough rooms, good breakfast. The only issue, which is a real minus, was that the internet connection did not work in the room. There was a signal but no connection possible. Other guest reported the same. Internet worked fine in the lobby
I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! I was extremely impressed with cleanliness of the entire hotel. Staff was so friendly. I just can't say enough good things about this hotel and it's location. My husband and I usually stay by the MOA when in town for Vikings games not anymore, we will be staying here!
The hotel has an absolutely revolting colour scheme in its carpet that really drags this property down. However the worse aspect of the hotel is lack of an elevator. Although the very helpful receptionist reminded me that help was available to carry heavy bags up to our third floor room, the absence of an elevator is a real bind on guests. I made the mistake of not examining the small print when booking the hotel otherwise I would have chosen differently. Having said that, the female receptionist was extremely helpful and the lady overlooking breakfast went to extraordinary lengths to supply an alternative to a very narrow breakfast choice. All round decent value for a location close to the twin cities of Minneapolis St.Paul.
this hotel meet my expectations and I would definitely refer this to a friend. It was clean, quiet and easy to locate. The food was good, the pool was comfortable. The price was appropriate. The bed was VERY comfortable.
Clean, comfortable, quiet and attractive motel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We will stay here again when in this area. We were close to a good restaurant and shopping. All in all a great value for the price.
My 2 night stay was very good. Motel was on busy street, but placement of the building, and landscaping made it very quiet and private. Everything is like new, modern and comfortable. Restaurants from fast food to upscale dining very close. Attentive staff. Very business traveler. friendly
This is THREE reviews for the price of ONE since I stayed here three times in a span of six days. In a hurry? Skip to the value-talk at the bottom... So, last minute business trip and at the end of the day I walk in to the lobby with a coworker who had reservations here since this hotel was approved by our travel policy. My coworker checked in fine and even before his checkin had finished the industrious receptionist was already starting to get me a room- I like this guy. The lobby wasn't large, but the TV in mounted high in the corner was. So was the very colorful red/orange mural behind the front desk. I was extra pleased that although the building was rather dated, the remodel was all right and there was NO smell which I find all too common in old facilities. I wasn't asked what kind of a room I needed or other checkin questions, so went with the flow to see what came my way. The receptionist kindly explained how to get to my room, how to sign into the wireless and pleasantly wished me a good stay. The lobby arrangement showed signs of a complimentary breakfast... probably adequate in a pinch, but I wasn't interested. NOTE1&2: On my second and third visits, I was up early, grabbed hot oatmeal, scrambled eggs, sausage and a banana to enjoy breakfast in my room. It was just fine. They have waffle makers. The room was easy to find and enter. However, my first reaction was, "Gee this is teeny". There was a narrowish hall leading to a bathroom door on the right opening into a larger area with a lone queen bed. I loved the utility dresser, microwave nook and fridge cabinet (yes, a cabinet with the large fridge behind a cabinet door-- never seen that before). The writing/office desk was plain and smallish to go along with the smallish room. The temperature was warm so I easily notched down the thermostat with large buttons and digital display. NOTE1: My second stay was a somewhat more expensive double, queen-bed room: a little larger, but still small. It was difficult sitting at the office desk since the chair had to be snug against the bed. NOTE2: My third visit was again without a reservation and the hotel was full-- the only room left for me was a king size bed suite for more dinero but it had space! The real office desk with real office chair had plenty of space. I could have worked there for a week. My first task after I checkin is usually to unpack my shirts and hang them up to start the de-wrinkling process, but I was slightly stymied since I failed to notice any place to hang coats or clothes on the way in. I had to actually hunt for it a bit, but found a very dark wooden wardrobe cabinet in the corner. The wardrobe was adequate, but suited a child rather than an adult, making me stoop a bit into the darkness to grope for a hanger and kinda guess where the closet rod was when returning a racked shirt to the bar. NOTE2: The king bed suite had a small, weird closet, but was much easier to use than the wardrobe cabinet. After supper at a swanky, paid-for-by-generous-company-customer-support, restaurant, I returned to my room to settle down. TV was easy to use, but I was in the mood for a movie. I connected my laptop to the hotel wireless and brought up my Vudu to watch a movie streaming. I was pretty sure this was a bad idea since hotel wireless is usually some economy brand, but I was delighted to find momentary "buffering..." events were few and very far between. I did a speed test and it showed the download speed was awesome and the upload was atrocious: so the Vudu wasn't Taboo here. NOTE1: Watched a Vudu movie on my second visit also and had much more difficulty with the dreaded "Buffering...". NOTE3: My third night's stay in the suite was the worst wireless-wise... there was no possibility of watching a movie at all. The "Buffering..." was so bad that Vudu would actually stop the movie. After the movie, I went to bed. Sadly, tho, my brain was still a bit active and was tuning in on all the noises. Highway 494 is nearby, but not too distracting. I was on the second floor, near the center of the hall and even light footsteps from the room above were noticeable. The pop machine was right across the hall so I heard every dispensation. Talk in the hallway was loud enough I actually thought perhaps my door was open. Someone was having trouble with their door and had to wrestle with it to get it open... the force shook the walls. I was tempted to get up and put in my ever-handy travel ear-plugs, but fell asleep without them. NOTE1: On my second visit, I specifically asked for a third-floor room hoping to avoid the noise from rooms above and it worked really well. My room was near the end of the hall and I heard almost nothing even tho the hotel was quite full. NOTE2: My third stay in the king suite was again back near the center of the hall on the second floor, but for some reason the halls were much quieter. The bed was comfy, pillows were nice and I awoke feeling good. The small newspaper outside my door was a nice touch, but I don't use papers much. If you are a wheel-chair traveler, you should note that none of the three floors are at grade level. The lowest floor is actually half below ground with a perfectly fine mini-elevator to get you from the lobby level down half a floor to the first floor. Also, when you exit the parking lot, an optical illusion makes it appear like you can drive right out onto the road, but be careful: IT'S A TRAP! Without a sign guiding to the real exit, you'll be tempted to go the wrong way. So lets talk value. I'm not a big, big traveler, but I've been around enough that I've created a little value chart of my own... This single queen room cost me $107 after tax. Small -10, noisy -10 and wimpy breakfast -10... this would have been a value at $70 per night. But Wait! The room has bedside lamps which include a plug-in for my phone charger! That's worth an extra fiver so after value boost I'd give $75 a night and smile. NOTE1: My second visit room with a double queen was an extra $18 for a total of 123.36 after tax. I did take advantage of the breakfast and had a much quieter sleep, but value-wise, I was still overcharged. NOTE2: My third visit with the king bed suite was *gasp* $143.31 after tax. I think the management has succeed in highway robbery here because this is the only hotel in the area and a prime location: directly across from a huge mall.
Clean small hotel 3 level with no elevator. Friendly staff. Front desk - Anand was exceptionally helpful. Front desk staff did not ask about BWR - loyalty program and one of them was not even aware of it.
