Best Western Plaza Hotel Stuttgart-Ditzingen

Perfect; This was what I said when I answered to the people in charge of check-out. It was clean, very comfortable, contemporary decoration, and over all very kind and helpful staff. Dinner was generous, and breakfast very good. Value for money Definitively I will come back here if I need to go to Ditzingen

This hotel is good only if you are passing through. For business trip it become complicated. There is no wifi on the room and it's a big issue for working. Restaurant is good but the choice is small. Room is confortable and big. Parking is very expensive for a small city (8€/night).

This is a modern concrete and glass stop-over, ideal for business trips. For the vacation guest, the facilities are clean and efficient, Only one English speaking TV channel, so entertainment is what you make it. We had bar supper, very good food served politely and efficiently. Unless you want to drink at the bar, not much else to do. No locals or indeed any business delegates staying, so no atmosphere. Breakfast okay, reception staff polite, well spoken and, yes you've guessed it, Efficient. Finally, 16 euros to park the car underground.... plenty of room outside.

This was a last minute booking that I did through the Hotels.com app. The price was pretty reasonable. It was £79 for the night. So I booked this as it seemed the cheapest in the area that I knew would be accessible. You could also put a request in the app which isn't guaranteed, so I put in a request for an accessible room. When entering Dizingen it is quite straight forward when getting closer to the hotel as there are signs directing you. On arrival at the hotel there is an underground carpark which has a charge per night. The barrier will automatically raise and then you will get a token once paid at reception. Checking in was pretty straight forward, and I asked if the room was accessible as I had requested it in the app. I was told that the room was accessible. On getting to the room I realised that it wasn't accessible. It was big enough for a wheelchair user to get in however there were no equipment for disabled people. There was no pull cords, and no hand rails and the shower was just a standard one without a chair. I would of brought this up with reception however requests in the app are never guaranteed and I had been driving in 30 degree weather for around 10 hours so just needed to relax and sleep. The only thing that annoyed me is that the person at reception had said the room was accessible. However first I decided that I wanted to grab some food and a drink. In reception they have a vending machine so I thought I'd get something from there, however it seemed that other people had had the same idea and there were no soft drinks left, only beer. I found out the bar was open, even though it looked closed, so I went in to grab a drink and try and get food. I asked for a glass of coke. The price was about €3 and all I got was a glass of Coke poured from a 2 litre bottle of Coke, which seems a bit of a rip off as I could of easily bought a 2 litre bottle for less. I then asked if they served food and then found out that they didn't serve food on a Saturday or Sunday. I never understand why hotels, especially in Germany don't serve food on a Saturday or Sunday. I'm guessing I'm not the only person that would of wanted to eat. Other than these issues, the room wasn't too bad. It was suitable for what I wanted to use it for which was just to sleep.

Staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, and there's a great choice for breakfast. Beds are comfy and the town is close by. I will stay there again and can confidently recommend the Best Western Plazahotel to anyone looking for good-quality accommodation in Ditzingen.

With absolute zero of available rooms in and near Stuttgart due to a a large trade fair a week before the event, I turned my attention to more outlying options, of which this hotel appeared as a right choice. I never regretted the decision. Per my request, I was given probably the quietest room facing trees in all their colourful autumn glory. The additional nice feature was an additional door separating the room from the corridor thus reducing noise even further. There are no perks in the room but basically everything one needs is provided. The restaurant is excellent and the hotel staff remarkably accommodating and professional. Breakfasts are very good both content and value-wise. The right choice indeed.

Last minute trip to Stuttgart and everything was booked. I was not expecting much but was pleasantly surprised. Thecstaff was wonderful. Parking was available and very cheap compared to downtown Stuttgart prices. The room was clean and comfortable with great wi-fi. The restaurant opens at 1800 and the food was good. The staff were awesome. While the hotel is outside of Stuttgart, you can take the back roads in to town in 20-25 minutes. The bonus you miss all the traffic on the A81 and A8.

Found this hotel by typing Best Western into Sat-Nav, after dark you are unlikely to find it any other way. Location is buried at back of private housing area, though you won't know any of this till leaving in daylight. Building is striking tribute to concrete and glass, although the design has some merits with the 'outside' glass elevator attached to the end of the building. Some fancy lighting after dark puts colour into relief, but I think this is a kit used in cities everywhere. The elevator will go to underneath carpark, which has very dull lighting, take care parking your vehicle, many walls and pillars to hit. As always with Best Western, reception staff well attired, polite and efficient. Rooms clean and reasonably well equipped, only 1 English speaking TV channel but this is the same elsewhere. No chance of walking out to find local restaurants, didn't see any on way in and the default house restaurant was acceptable, if deserted. This is a corporate machine, delegates of two or three conferences milling about but the crowded bar went silent once they had been bussed to eat elsewhere. Evening meal was fine if unexceptional, bar staff pleasant, breakfast okay, that's it. Our stay would been better if we qualified for corporate discount, but we don't qualify and they don't have to worry about lack of customers in Stuttgart. In summary, another night and another hotel, acceptable.

Worst hotel ever. The 4 persons room has a sleeping sofa but this is so terrible, even for children it is impossible to sleep in! When you tell this to the reception they say ‘ thank you for telling me this, did you park in the garage? Than we will add 8 euro to the bill….. The ambiance is so terrible! Never go there even when it's just a transit night… look for something else, there is plenty!

The hotel is outside the main Stuttgart area. Takes about 25 min with no traffic to get to main area of Stuttgart. Hotel was clean and nice. They do not have AC. They keep windows open. We requested fans and got them. We requested extra bedsheets but they have only one and said they did not have anymore. They also have a gourmet coffee machine that works in the mornings only (located right next to reception desk). Parking is 8 euros at the hotel but free parking is available right outside hotel. It is a safe place and so park outside.

This hotel is no-frills, good value for money accommodation. The rooms are OK and the breakfasts and evening meals are OK. Nothing wrong with it but nothing special either. The setting is a bit disappointing, tucked away in a back street.

In walking distance down to the town, which I really enjoyed. The beds are pretty hard, but the rooms are updated. Nice shower, toilet, etc. The breakfast was pretty descent and they had good drink choices. Only thing I didnt like was how they didnt offer you water if breakfast was over. So I would have to pay to get a drink of water(still), unless you wanted mineral water. If you enjoy running or getting out in the morning for the sunrise this is a perfect location for you. I loved going out the back on the biking running trail. The views through the crops and homes up the hill were amazing. If you plan to spend hardly anytime in the hotel, its a great place.

I stayed here in the region to visit some local businesses - and this is quite simply the best hotel in the area - and surprisingly good from the large underground parking, to the well sized rooms, reliable and free wifi, friendly staff, good restaurant menu at friendly prices, it offers all you will need for a few nights stay. It is in the residential areas of a small town so remains peaceful yet still within a few minutes of the main roads around. Roads can be busy in the morning though, so plan a few extra minutes to travel if you are meeting on time!

Pos: Nice place for business trips - lovely small town, close to the center of the city - S-bahn 10 minutes by foot. Decent rooms, wide rang of food for breakfast Neg: missing minibar - no fridge in the room.

We arrived after a long drive through France on the way to Austria. The booking was made on mobile about ten minutes before. The reception was friendly. We were a bit disappointed that the restaurant was shut as we were tired and did not really want to go out. The barman did not know how to make a cocktail which was the special offer of the week and he said they had no dark beer other than bottled but he served it to somebody after us. The room was comfortable with a very modern ensuite. Breakfast in the morning was good and we could enjoy it outside in the sunshine.

I stayed at this hotel for a night during a business trip in the area. The hotel is conveniently located close to the town center and has ample parking. Check in was efficient and staff were friendly. The layout of the room was fine and bed comfortable and although there was no air conditioning this did not cause me any discomfort. I found parts of the hotel to be a little tired and of need of refurbishment but for a nights stay the hotel generally fitted my needs.The evening meal was poor , breakfast was better.

lovely hotel with very friendly staff about 700 mtrs from the town centre ,good restaurant with a local and international menu ,paid parking under the hotel ,rooms very comfortable with good quality free wifi ,free breakfast and a free Coffee to go as you check out -a great touch that more hotels should follow ,good selection of tv channels

Ended up here because of a late booking and my other regulars were full. Welcoming staff, really helpful. Room was clean and functional and the bed was extremely comfortable - slept like a log. Breakfast was good, nothing exceptional, much the same as most of the hotels in which I've stayed in Stuttgart. Had one evening meal which was good, soup and a burger so nothing too complex, good portions and pretty tasty. WiFi signal was great downstairs but a little bit week in the room, but it was usable. My only problem was that it was a bit far out of Str centre and there is a 1km walk to the train which made the trip into the office quite a trek - that's the only reason I wouldn't stay here again, other than that I really liked this hotel. Took a cab from main station to hotel and it was €36 and took about 15 minutes.

very good room conditions and excellent breakfast. also a good local bruery (Wichtel) in the city center close to the hotel giving chance to go outside in the evening. public transport (S-Bahn) is in approx. 15-20min walking distance but hotel has own garage (approx. 6 € per day) for travelers by own car

Nice hotel for business stay for 1 or 2 night. Spacey rooms, clean ,and friendly staff. Parking garage under hotel. Bit of a dull area but ok. Food in restaurant is better than average. Nice G&T in the bar :-)

The BW in Ditzingen is a friendly place, with everything you need for a short stay. The rooms are comfortable, nice beds, good bathrooms, quiet area in town. Breakfast is good and included in the very friendly room price. Staff are friendly and efficient, nothing to fault in this hotel.

Very helpful and professional (English speaking) staff! Bar service and breakfast crew did a wonderful job! The hotel is a little run down. Rooms need updating and definitely need air condition. The location within the city is walking distance to nice shops, restaurants and pubs.

The hotel is close to the main road. We had a long ride and stopped over for a night - and it was a good decision. The hotel is peaceful and quiet, with green surroundings. The staff is friendly and helpful, we even got upgraded as we arrived late and the better room was free. The room was spacious and convenient. And on top of all - great breakfast with a large food selection. Fresh, vast and delicious!

I did not have any trouble finding the hotel, unlike other reviews, but it is certainly not in a high traffic area. That said, we walked to a little traditional Schwabian food joint with good beer so that was a plus! We had a "suite" which had a nice living room, but the couch would not be great for sleeping an extra adult. They really like blue LED lights here, they are in the floortiles of the shower as well as all over the exterior of the building. The breakfast was typical for Europe and very good. The parking lot got pretty full, but we never had an issue. Architecturally I felt like I was in a game of "modern warfare" with strange designs for the exterior, but all in all it was a good stay with an easy drive to anywhere you need to go. The WIFI password was only good for ONE machine, so chose wisely!

We were on our way back to Belgium from Austria and choose this hotel because it was rather halfway home. I made the reservation through the Best Western website and had indicated that we would like to have a bed for our 1 year old daughter. We received a nice and spacious ensuite room with the baby bed already installed. Great service! Breakfast was rather good with sufficient options, good value for money deal.

Clean and airy. Very smart looking. I don't know when it was built but it gave me the impression that was built a few decades ago but was very futuristic at the time... Alternatively it is quite new and done up in a retro style! Nice breakfast and helpful staff.
