Best Western West Hills Inn

The kids enjoyed the pool and there were plenty options for breakfast that made everyone in the family happy. It's conveniently located in the town next to Walmart and Prairie Pine retirement facility where we were visiting grandma. We will definitely stay again.

Overall experience was good. Soap dish had soap residue in it, but rest of room seemed clean. Coffee not made at 7:30 in the morning, but their coffee machine was fast once the attendant got it going. Outside “security” doors all open without a key. Reasons why not at 10 for every category. Clean, quiet hotel with comfy beds and pillows at a very reasonable price.

The hotel is dated, and pray you're not on the first floor as you can hear every step the person upstairs takes. The room is small, but clean. There are two doors to this room, one goes outside, the other to the hall.

Our stay at Chadron was excellent. The staff were all friendly and helpful and when we had problems with the TV, the young man at the front desk was prompt about coming to our room to figure out the problem. The fridge was clean and a good size. I would stay here again if I return to Chadron. The windows are a little dated but the only reason we noticed is on our second night the wind was blowing pretty hard and was whistling through the windows like there were airgaps.

The staff is courteous and professional, the room was very clean. The pool and jacuzzi were working. Whoever cooked the biscuits and gravy did a fantastic job. The selections of fresh fruit and cereal looked great. If you stay there, tell them I said hi.

Clean, comfortable moderately priced with friendly service. Breakfast was good and checkout easy. Offered a decent military discount and would stay and recommend. Beds were comfortable with extra pillows.All accommodations were available with internet service. Totally enjoyed our stay

We forgot some important things in the room. Called them they sd they had them, even described the shirt in detail. Told us they would send it. After multiple times of calling, they sd they didn't what happened to them. Someone stole our stuff and now we're out. I've called corporate office.

The hotel was very nice, the staff was very friendly when we checked in on June 30th and when we checked out on the 4th of July. The only thing I had an issue with was the breakfast. 4 days of cheese omelets, sausage patties, and biscuits and gravy gets tired some. On your website it says a variety of hot foods. Plus it would be nice if they kept an eye on things so they could clean up and wipe the counter when someone makes a big mess with the gravy.

The staff here is very nice. The guy making breakfast does a great job. The room is large with a sitting area and bar area. There is a nice courtyard eating area, indoor pool and hot tub. Breakfast has waffles, eggs, sausage, gravy and biscuits, cereal, fruit, yogurt, and muffins. I would recommend

It was a pleasure staying here. The employees were all knowledgeable and kind. The pool was nice. Breakfast was good. The room was clean and spacious, and the price was reasonable. Also located close to many scenic areas.

Really enjoyed the pool in the hot tub here. A lot of BW us say they have a pool but they're typically under renovation. Staff were friendly. The country kitchen restaurant next-door was very convenient as far as having a dinner.

This was originally going to be a 5 star review- however- The service of Kyle the following morning was just rude! The room and everything seemed good enough- However, At 9:30 am housekeeping is knocking on my door. I have a 14 hour drive today and just trying to catch up on sleep- When I opened the door because Kyle had decided to pound on the wall next to my room at 10 am he just laughed and said "Im sorry" and laughed more and walked away. Go elsewhere. You won't be allowed to sleep or even want to be in your room until a reasonable hour. Any complaints you have will just be laughed at. Horrible place

Not much to choose from in this town but this was not up to my Best Western standards Hotel is tired, beds are lumpy, uncomfortable and old. Pillows horrible. Everthing needs to be updated. They charge premium prices for substandard accommodations.

I stay for work every other week. They provide all needed accommodations. Including specialty parking for a refrigeration equipped truck needing a 220 hookup. Breakfast includes waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, and alternating between sausage or bacon. Fruit,cereal, yogurt, juice and coffee is also provided

Very nice motel, I will staying here again next go round! Highly recommend this motel to anyone who is looking for a quiet, clean place to get some rest for the of the trip whether it is traveling to a business destination or back home!

Very Comfortable Beds. The Wifi was reliable and fast. Bathroom sink, shower and water all good. The Breakfast include cereal, milk, eggs, and sausage. There was ice available. Check in was fast and courteous. The room was quiet.

We were returning to Iowa after a trip to Wyoming. We were very pleased with the room after a long day traveling. Great AC on a very hot day. The room was so relaxing a King room with seating area. Would recommend to anyone .

The first room they gave me smelled bad so I moved to another. It was better but still had the mildew smell. Probably from not cleaning the AC filters properly. The bed was alright. This hotel has had a lot of wear and could use a good sprucing up.

This motel is a great stay, they have really good staff, and the amenities are very good for the price. The rooms are adequate, clean, and comfortable. I have stayed many times and always have a satisfying stay!!

Bed was a bit hard for be, but still was able to sleep, the room was amazing. Location was easy to fine, breakfast was great, the front desk staff was amazing. Will be staying there again and if other best western hotels are ran like the one I stayed in, it is well worth the price

We enjoyed our stay....check-in was quick and pleasant....staff were friendly...our room was very clean....bed was comfortable and the pillows were to my liking...wife was sufficient...enjoyed the pool area and the workout room....breakfast was good

I made a mistake with arrival date. The hostess worked with my problem and all solved. She helped in every way possible for my mistake.The room was clean and presentable. Should I come back this way, I will stay here. Thank You Best Western Chadron NE. Restaurant was close and good.

Had to shower with very little water pressure , shower head was very low and did not drain so I had to shower in my own dirt at my feet along with someone else's hair that was on the walls and in drain because Had not been cleaned properly. Also the sink did not drain and the toilet leaked into floor because bowl was cracked and water continued to run all night. Lastly the pillows were flat and the ac/heater was so loud could not sleep.

…checking in I noticed the lobby was full of so-called hunters sitting around telling stories. Check in was simple, but only thanks to Kyle and his excellent customer service skills. The room was so- so, clean enough to start with, but had a strange shower fixture. Did they get a special deal out of Nigeria? Definitely 3rd world type plumbing and with the associated leaks at all joints. The bed was made up with two hospital quality sheets and a thin bedspread, complete with 6 inch hole. Normally, there is a sheet, a blanket, and a duvet. When asking for a replacement bed spread, I had conduct training as to what constituted a bed spread vs. a sheet. WTF??? The telephone provided would not dial “0” for the Front Desk- how convenient for the staff's sleep schedule. 2 days into our stay, we inquired about housekeeping and were told that due to COVID, housekeeping was suspended. We had to go to the front desk and beg towels, sheets, soap, and trash can liners. Upon asking if this was Best Western policy, we were informed that the policy came from Bird Dog Hospitality, LLC. The mattress had some sort of strange fitted cover made of cardboard which we later discovered was there to hide the worn out mattress with springs coming through. Really disgusting for a Best Western property. One day we returned to a cockroach residing in the window screen to our room. You know what they say about cockroaches… On top of all this entertainment, there were easily a dozen “hunters” camped out on our corner of the hotel. Evidenced by the drinking, the yelling, laughing, and trashiness of these fools, the state of Wisconsin must have sent their best and brightest. These jackasses butchered deer in the parking lot and barbequed their catch in the same spot. Being a hunter myself, I can speak to appropriate behavior. These jerks were beyond civil in their antics. One night, after calling the front desk to complain about the noise, the staff idiot replied to my complaint with “sounds good”. Numerous times I rounded the corner to the lobby to surprise the staff asleep at the desk. The one bright spot in all this is hotel staff member Kyle. He presents a professional appearance, a courteous attitude, and knows how to cater to the guests. He should be training the entire staff and he should be the manager. The manager, Tracy Wilde Smith can save her standardized template for someone else's review- I am familiar with her lame excuses and B.S.

Very friendly front desk clerk! Everything else is horrible, very old and outdated and has a terrible smell and very old bed, pillows and bedding! The security door is broken, no elevator. I literally felt like I stepped back into 1980. Very disappointed!!

The service at check in was wonderful. The rooms are nothing great. The mattresses need replacing. However if the weather is nice, get an odd numbered room on the first floor. There is a great courtyard that you can access from your room. However, the trade off is you can hear every single footstep from the room above. We hardly slept. The room for people with disabilities is not really great. No walk in shower. The breakfast room was full of flies. The coffee was perhaps the worst and weakest coffee I've ever had at a hotel. The coffee in the room is better. Why do hotels insist in stuffing pillows into squares. You just have untuck them and fluff them and I'm sure the housekeeping staff hates it too.

I was pleasantly surprised when I checked in. I had reserved a room with 1 queen size bed. But, I received a spacious suite that had a king sized bed & a jacuzzi. I enjoyed the hotel pool & my wife loved the jacuzzi. The only problem we had was that the refrigerator in our room did not work. The hotel could not get me a refrigerator that worked, so we kept our cold food iced down in our cooler. The hotel gave me a rate reduction of about 33% for not having a working refrigerator in our room. I wish I could get this treatment at every hotel I stay at!!

I booked a king suite at the Best Western in Chadron for the night of my birthday and I was not disappointed. I was expecting a Jacuzzi tub, I wasn't expecting an apartment! The rooms were clean although I did find a hair brush in the windowsill when I opened the curtains. I haven't stayed in a Best Western before but the price seemed high for the chain. However, as one of only a handful of hotels in Chadron, I guess that's probably why. It was a great jumping off point for our explorations of Toadstool, Fort Robinson and Chadron State Park. Would definitely come back!

Always easy to get a room while I'm on the road Just make the call and tell them I'm a rewards member, they hold the room until I get there Friendly and helpful staff The lady taking care of your breakfast needs is always helpful and can tell a good joke She says she's just "normal" I think she's extordnary she works hard and the breakfast area is very clean!

Stayed here based on the better than average reviews. The rooms are huge - I could have parked my car in it. No coffee maker in room - did not like that. Breakfast was very good, better than your typical Marriott. Has an unappealing exterior look to it, and is on the outskirts with a Country Kitchen restaurant right next door. No elevator, no big deal to me. Great price online, so overall, pleased with the one night stay.

Stayed here before and this was to become my new "regular" based on my previous stays. I must rethink and will likely go back to my old favorite. Price got too high and hoyty-toyty. Still, this is a great place! Motorcycle friendly, all amenities with restaurant on site. Park at door rooms, pool and hot tub . . . Oh so nice . . . Perfect for "bikers" . . . Just not me . . .

The staff was very friendly once I found the front door. Very strange to have to drive around the building and look for the office. No sign that says "Office". There is a Best Western sign on the highway about 100 yards from the hotel but once we got into the parking lot we drove all the way around the building to find the office to check in. Then the door we were told to enter did not tell us that rooms 300 - 3?? were on the ground level so we entered the door and climbed up one flight of stairs only to find that we were on the level with the rooms numbered 400 - 4??.. The room decor was very nice and the hallways were very nice. The room was not dirty but the sheets on the bed were not fitted tightly and when I pull back the covers and see wrinkled sheets I always get a little queasy and wonder if they are really clean. The breakfast was okay. The staff was very friendly . It was great to be able to walk across the parking lot and eat a delicious dinner at the Country Kitchen.

I am pretty tolerable when it comes to hotel choices. But as the saying goes, "If you wants things to be like home ; stay at home". Unfortunarely, home was too far away. Half the rooms have anoutside door along with a corridor door. This is handy for loading and unloading cars. On day 2, we discovered that the outside door wasn't automatically locking. Bad things could have happened. It wasn't the hotel's fault as they didn't know. We reported it upon deparature and were thanked. We were on the first floor and there must have been a "clogging" family above us. They were pretty good as we heard every step. The one thing that bothered the wife, the most, was that the door to the pool had a door stop partially holding it open rather than a key card to get in. The owner must have great liability insurance as you can imagine the impending disaster with all of the kids running around. The great thing definitely was the down home hot breakfast that was personally made by a worker who kept the choices full.

Room smelled musty. No coffee maker in room. Ice machine was no working and was the only one in building. NO ELEVATOR! Had to lug suitcase up stairs which is not easy for someone over 60 with arthritis. Noticed, what appeared to be foreign substance, (cum?) on bed skirt of one of the beds. Refrigerator not cold or cooling properly. Young man at desk was rude and appeared he would rather be on his phone than attend to customers. I will never stay here again.

From the moment I walked in the door the staff was very friendly. My room was extremely clean. I work in hotels for a living, so I know what to expect... Boy was I blown away. I thought that maybe in a small town, an older hotel that has been renovated, might not meet the expectations of new hotels you see in big cities. This hotel not only met but exceeded that expectation. Friendly staff, very clean room, the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel was fantastic. I will definitely be back again when I come to visit family. Who cares if it's brand new? What matters is that it's clean, friendly staff, the rooms are well maintained, and it's an excellent location to both highways.

The room itself was nice, clean and comfortable. The bed coverings were thin and despite asking for a blanket several times, it never came. The breakfast was good— lots of variety. Hotel is big and easy to get lost in.

First of all, the positives. The room is larger than most and has a living room area, at least the room that I stayed in. The negative: This chain obviously does not have COVID cleaning protocol because there was sticky stuff on the desk chair and the sheet was dirty. They have a K Cup machine but why would I want all decaf K cups? The most horrible thing was the mattress was the worst that I have EVER slept on in a hotel. It was lumpy and every time I moved the bed rattled and made loud noises. Next time, I will do whatever is necessary to stay at the Holiday Inn Express. If you like a bigger room and do not mind dirt, then this hotel may be right for you.

Friendly, helpful staff in a beautiful location. We have stayed here many times before and have never been disappointed. They go out of their way to make the stay a good one. And the Chadron area is beautiful!

Nice location on the edge of town. Appreciated having 2 entrances to be able to easily move bike inside for the night. Conveniently located near the college and restaurants. Chadron is near beautiful state and national parks.

The hotel is fine and we understand there being no traditional daily housekeeping but no one follows any other posted COVID guidelines. When mentioned to the staff they will come up with some excuse as to why it's hot their fault that you had to come ask for towels or shampoo or coffee

Friendly staff and comfortable stay. The manager remembered me from a previous stay 7 months prior. She welcomed me like a long lost friend. She is so encouraging a manager of her staff that each employee seems happy and like they truly are glad to welcome guests. The hot breakfast was delicious. Everything was spotless in the dining area and in our room. The beds were comfortable and we had a good nights rest. We will certainly stay here the next time we are in Chadron.

For price and services it's worth the stay. Staff have been very nice even if you're personal choice is not to mask up. You are not harrassed. I appreciate being treated with respect of my health choice. That goes a long way in my book.

Great hotel, great front desk help and the room was very spacious and clean. Only problem I had was the bed was sloppily made. There was a hole in the fitted sheet and a hair that was not mine on the pillows. Other than that the room was clean and everything worked great for a great price!

Drove up to Chadron to see the State Park and Ft. Robinson. Been several times and always stay at Best Western West Hills Inn. Love being able to drive up to your door and unloading the car, but still have an inside access to the hotel. Was very quiet there, it's February, not many travelers. Had a king room, very spacious and very clean. Pool and hot tub area looked inviting, but didn't use. Breakfast had single serve juice and yogurt and individually wrapped sandwiches, which we took back to our room and heated in microwave. Friendly and helpful employees. Will be back next time we need to see Northwest Nebraska again..

We were on a lengthy road trip and staying at a different Best Western each night. This hotel was one of only two that was actually offering a hot sit-down breakfast. The owner/operator provided breakfast burritos and breakfast sandwiches prepackaged and available for guests to heat-up themselves in addition to single-serve cold items (juice, milk, yogurt). I shared with Best Western corporate that this location should be viewed as implementing best practices that should be shared throughout the corporation. What we generally saw in other Best Westerns on this trip was using COVID as an excuse to cut costs and offer meager grab-n-go cold breakfast bags of marginal quality and quantity. My wife and I were coming home from the Black Hills and wanted to see some sights in NW Nebraska along the way so we chose this hotel. Appearance of lobby was OK, front glass door smudged up pretty badly, could use cleaning. Desk clerk was OK, but only saw him once at check in. All other times sign on desk instructing to call 0 on the phone. No coffee available in lobby in late afternoon. We were assigned room on the second floor. Not realizing the place had no elevator, we struggled with the stairs and bags, we're both 71 years old. The room you could see had previously had a refrigerator, microwave and in room coffee. I called 0 to inqurre about this and was told that this room currently had none of these amenities. No apology or explanation or attempt to make it right in any way. These amenities were promised with this room when I booked it on line some time ago. There was no ice bucket in the room. I used my playmate cooler to get ice on the first floor and all the way down the hall. Breakfast was adequate considering the current pandemic.

Despite calling ahead to learn if employees wore masks and followed good practices, the staff only occasionally wore masks. They were young and didn't seem to care. And despite a sign on the entrance saying masks were required, it was not enforced: every other guest I saw in the entrance was not wearing a mask. Room was ok. They have updated the rooms which were good. But the wall heater was noi

The room was really big--even had a bar sink and counter--quite luxurious! The courtyard was very pleasant, with chairs & tables for visiting. Beds were wonderful! The only downside to this place is the soundproofing is not all it could be--heard folks upstairs walking, heard TV or conversation either from an adjacent room or the hall. It certainly wasn't enough to disturb sleep though--did I mention the beds are wonderful?

Room was clean. Good breakfast. Air conditioner worked but the air coming from it had a stale/musty smell. Nice and quiet. Our room was on ground floor and had an outside and interior entrance into the room. Very convenient for loading and unloading from the vehicle.

This Best Western is a great place to stay while exploring the far NW corner of Nebraska, and isn't all that far from the Black Hills of SD. Nice, clean, quiet, located in a great spot,and the staff is friendly and professional. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that our room had an a/c that struggled to cool the room, and we brought it to the attention of staff who would tell higher management. It was a weekend and NOT an emergency -- we still slept soundly, so no alarm. We'll book here again next time we are in the area.

The room was great. The beds slept well. The shower was very good. There was ice. The breakfast was very good. They went over and above to make it good in-spite of the COVID business. The room was quite. On a hot day the AC worked well.

Hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was exceptional. Breakfast was ok but you have to have different standards in the era of COVID. Lots of parking. I have no complaints. I will definitely stay here again if I end up in Chadron.

I had the good fortune to return to this motel again this year. The place is all set up to make guests feel welcome. The place is clean, the staff really makes you feel welcome and the rates are a great value.

Checked in about 5 pm and went straight to dinner with traveling friends. Came back about 7:30pm. Walked into room and found it had not been made up. Went to front desk to ask for another room. No king bed rooms left. Gave us a double queen. Moved out stuff into the room. After we unpacked, noticed that the bathroom had not been cleaned; diarrhea in the toilet and the soap was used. Figured no use in complaining. Cleaned up with Clorax towels. Next morning, I was charged to pet cleaning by some other random quest; charges were removed after I challenged them. No coffee for breakfast.

Traveled for funeral of grand mother. Arrived late in the day, Room was clean, comfortable but a bit too much bleach used in sanitizing the room and halls. Needed aired out. Still worth the stay. place had pool, restaurant next door with average food and cheap eats. Motel was a good quiet clean and comfortable place to stay. I had a heart attack on the second day there and the staff worked with spouse for extra unexpected days we stayed there. Will always go here from now on in Chadron Ne.

Although breakfast could have been better stocked, we always enjoy staying here as the location is great and the hotel is always clean. It is on the edge of town. We like going to Chadron State Park around sunset and driving around the park. The pool was cold, but the hot tub was great.

Ground floor rooms have entry from both inside and out - perfect! Nice pool and hot tub. Rooms totally up to Best Western standards, comfortable with all the aminities and everything worked. They let some of our party park their motorcycles by their door . . on the patio. Great stay, great staff, good restaurant on site. All at a sweet value. It just doesn't get much better than this.

The room was spotless and there were no odors of any kind, just the scent of cleanlilness. The white sheets and comforter were welcome, and they were spotless. The room was larger than the average motel, and conveniently located next to a Country Kitchen restaurant. After a long day of driving it was nice to only have to walk next door to get dinner. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. I'll definitely stay here every time I visit Chadron.

This hotel was great and the Manager Traci was even greater. She did an excellent job on accommodating us for our needs! The rooms were clean, pool was clean and warm and hot tub was hot! breakfast was great as well! Will for sure stay at this hotel again!

We had a great time. Access to road was excellent. Dining close. Friendly staff clean comfortable rooms. There was an occasional train but not disruptive. The view was good and we will be going back soon I hope.

The staff was great. The room was clean and the bed comfortable (soft-ish). Small town hotels don't usually keep up with their big city counterparts but this one does. Will definitely stay there on my next visit.

My son was unable to get into his dorm room due to a snow storm. Best Western allowed me to book a room for him from Ohio. They gave me the student rate which was very appreciated. They allowed him and couple of his teammates from Chadron State College to stay with a late checkout and even accomodated them with the dorms were not able to open until 5pm the next day. They took great care of these guys and kept them safe during a very bad snow storm. Can't put a price on that! #LoyalBestWesternPatron

Clean room, reasonable rate, regular continental breakfast but prepared with care. Chadron is a nice, small college town. We were able to find a sports bar with a homecooked meal and many televisions to watch our game.

The Best Western in Chadron Nebraska is Wonderful. They have a Great Staff! The rooms are Clean and Comfortable. The best part is being able to park right outside the room. We could back into the parking space and unload straight into the room, easy peasy. The parking lot is well lit and they have a nice dog area.

This is the third hotel we have stayed at in Chadron. We will stay here every time we visit Chadron in the future. The young man at the front desk made our checking in quick and he was so friendly. Our room was large and so clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was delicious: waffles, biscuits and gravy, fresh moist muffins, rich coffee, and real orange juice. The manager was busy, but took the time to personally ask about our stay and to thank us. We are very happy!

Very nice and clean motel. No elevator for the second floor rooms was disappointing and it was not very "sound proof" Staff was excellent and very helpful.Breafast was a typical motel breakfast, nothing special .

For the price this is the best in the Chadron area. Very clean and provided a B+ breakfast. Only cost $85 for the night. There are cheaper hotels in the area but most are not up to this caliber. We plan to stay in Chadron many times in the next couple years to watch our college student play sports and this will be where we stay.

Our stay was related to attendance at a Chadron State sporting event - great location near Chadron State College. Typical amenities for this grade of hotel; very comfortable; friendly & attentive staff (mostly college students); next door to the old chain "Country Kitchen."

Hotel was very nice. Check-in clerk, young man, was very pleasant. Breakfast was good, but biscuits and gravy were not quite hot enough, but tasted good. Rooms were clean and pleasant. Beds were comfortable.

I was sadly disappointed that they had changed coffee companies. But the new one was alright. Pool had plenty of towels but the max depth is 4'6". Still I got a good workout in the pool. We had a suite that included a living room, bath, and bedroom along with a small balcony. It was great to stay here.

POSITIVES: Hotel rooms very clean. Comfortable beds. Good free breakfast. Can step out the front door and walk almost immediately into a reasonable family restaurant (Country Kitchen). Close parking. Accommodating front desk attendant despite being short staffed in the room cleaning staff - He made sure our room was available by 4:00 pm instead of the advertised 3:00 pm). Walmart just down road if needed. CONCERNS: Outside doors do not lock (although in this community, doors might not need locking !). No elevator - may need help getting heavy luggage to 2nd floor. Breakfast attendant not able to keep up with the morning rush. Very "soft" water.

What a very good hotel this was. We were allocated room 106 which had two entry points, one where we parked the car, the other internal to the hotel which made lumping the suitcases into the room easy. The room was well proportioned with a very good bathroom with a sunken bath The was easy to step in and out of. Breakfast was provided free and was enough to start the day. The reception staff were very good at both check in and check out.

Clean, Quite, Excellent Service, and the breakfast was great. Coffee is some of the best. Make sure you join BW and book a head online. Prepay for best rate. I highly recommend this to all who are looking for a family owned and operated business.

The rooms were really nice and had be remodeled recently. The Bathroom had nice tile and was clean. Even the light switches were clean which I always look at because everyone has to touch them. Breakfast was good and the cook was really friendly with everyone.

The room was large but there were not many surfaces to place luggage. fortunately was has two beds. One to sleep in and one for luggage. The flies were annoying. We killed 6 before we went to bed. The upper floors noise transmits into the lower floor. We could tell where the upper floor guest was by his footsteps. Not funny since he was up at 5am. The beds lacked a comforter. The blankets were so thin we couldn't use the A/C after we retired. The breakfast area was plagued with flies. There were 5 on the breakfast table as we sat down.

When you get near Chadron, Nebraska, there's lovely prairie country and wide open skies, but not much else. This is a nice place to stay with friendly staff and clean rooms. They were very accommodating to guests. I was attending the Sturgis Motorcycle rally and wanted a room where I could park my bike right outside the room. They put me in a room on the inside and said I could bring my bike into the courtyard. Other bikes were also there. They are tuned to what's going on. Very nice.

Very clean room with fluffy towels, good bed and pillows. Newer floirs and fixtures. Very good breakfast with several selections Walls a little thin. Recommend choosing a top floor. I would definitely stay again.

Friendly and welcoming staff, large and spotless suite made my the stay very enjoyable. The breakfast in the morning was DEE-LISH! A great way to wake up in western Nebraska. Plan your next trip through Chadron and stay here.

The check in process is quick and painless. You are across the street from a Walmart, so if you need something, you're close. There's also a restaurant in the same parking lot, but you're also very close to some other dining options. What I'm saying is that the location is great. There's an indoor pool, hot tub, and a small fitness room that are clean and adequate for small groups and relaxing. You also have hot breakfast items (waffle iron), eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy. There's also cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, breads, and juices and coffee.

Friendly and helpful staff, Clean rooms & updated, nice bathroom, bed very comfortable w/ 2 fluffy pillows per person, excellent choices for breakfast. We will stay here again when traveling, best hotel in town for your money

We were assigned a room that was spacious with a kitchenette. The breakfast offerings were good with a decent selection but unfortunately we discovered some type of bugs jumping around the room the next morning. That was an unpleasant way to end the trip.

We stay and many Best Westerns and this one I would say is one of the older ones. Check in went ok. They offer cookies, water, and tea in the lobby during the evening hours. Nice bonus after a long days drive. We had a first floor room that faced North that had two doors. One right by the parking lot perfect for unloading, the other entered an interior hallway that lead to the lobby. Room had a smell to it. Fridge worked ok. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was clean. It does sit on top of a hill so when it is windy or storms come through it gets quite windy with rocks and dirt flying everywhere. The restaurant next door has decent food. Breakfast in the morning was very average. The 3 hot foods looked inedible. Multiple cold offerings. If we were to travel through the area again, I think we would try something different.

We had a north-side room that had an interior and exterior door to the room, which was helpful for loading and unloading for the 1 night stay. Room appeared clean; mattresses may be near the end of their usefulness. Freezer in refrigerator was frozen over with a bag of ice stuck in the compartment. Desk staff were in obvious training mode; pleasant and trying their best. Breakfast offerings were standard. Orange juice machine produced water only. O.K. stay.

Like my husband says, this is a place to stay and we wern't staying long. Giving the benefit of the doubt since this is a small town. Third Best Western we stayed at. It wasn't the "Best, Best Western". We stayed at. Second Floor stank bad. The room wasn't to bad. I'm pretty sure I booked one Queen with two people. I got two Queen Beds. That's on me I should of read the paper more carefully that I signed. Only one night stand for both queen beds. Bathroom was niced size. Per the website the room was to include a fridge, it was missing one. Husband asked about this and we got moved. Also one of he beds in the first room with the missing fridge was dirty. The door was hard to open in the first room. We got the room next to it. Fridge and clean beds. Down stairs didn't smell to bad. The hot tub worked good. Pool was nice sized little dirty. The hotel had a nice court yard. Breakfast was borderline edible. Hotel staff was nice. I did find out this hotel was named something else before it became a Best Western. The back door had a keyed entry however it didn't work. Anybody can just come on in. We also got locked out of our room. We came on July 1st and was to leave on Wed July 3. We got locked out on Tue July 2nd. The person that inserted the information didn't do this correctly, so we both had to go downstairs and straigten it out. Again Staff was friendly.

I have stayed at West Hills for many years tried other places before finding Best Western West Hills and won't stay any other place here in Chadron,Nebraska.The staff make the stay very enjoyable and can give you tips on where and what to see.

Stayed here on our way through the area, we use BW as much as we can but we we're disappointed with this location. The rooms were older and the carpet was very worn also we reserved a ADA room but did not feel safe with the “ towel rack” that was installed in the tub. Soooo not safe!

This 2-floor hotel is unique, in that it's shaped sort of like a V. It has a courtyard at the center of the V. The rooms on the 1st floor that are inside the V have 2 access doors - 1 to an interior hallway, and 1 to the courtyard. The bottom of the V has a public door that access the hotel, right next to the pool. What is the perfect storm? Room 109. It's on the 1st floor, with access to the courtyard. Why is it the perfect storm? Not only do you get the (standard) interior hall noise (plenty of space under the door to let the sound in), but you also get the noise of the public courtyard door slamming all night, as well as the extremely loud creaking of someone on the 2nd floor simply walking around in their room. "Quiet" is absolutely the opposite of how night 1 was. I would have asked for a new room, but at the time, didn't want to go through the pain of packing everything up again and moving, as I was staying 4 nights. Nights 2 and 3 were tolerable, as there weren't any people staying above me, and less people slamming the outside door, but of course, on night 4 reverted to the way night 1 was - LOUD! I know that many stays are dependent on how other guests behave. I don't believe this was the case. The people above me were simply walking in their rooms, yet the lack of sound dampening between the floors is laughable. The public courtyard door slammed due to improper settings, rather than people actually trying to slam it. So moving on, the rooms were very big, as they advertise, so I will give them that. My room was musty smelling, however. The breakfast started off on the wrong foot, as the 1st morning, they were out of waffle mix, most breads, orange juice, and coffee when I arrived at 8:30 (they close at 9). The lady running the breakfast seemed inconvenienced whenever I asked for anything she didn't have (that she should have). The next day, they were still short on breads and out of orange juice, but now had coffee and waffle mix. Days 3 and 4 all of the above were restocked. The hot food included potatoes, eggs, and sausage, and didn't change. The pool was indoor, and pretty big, as was the hot tub. Both were in good condition. I would definitely never stay in room 109 again, or anywhere on the 1st floor. Possibly on the 2nd floor, but opposite the slamming door of the courtyard entrance. The folks at the front desk were nice, but since I decided not to inconvenience myself (by having to pack up and move), I'm not sure how they would have responded to any requests for new rooms.

Easy location to find. Close to restaurant, gas stations, etc. Friendly staff. Clean room. Breakfast good, but orange juice machine was out of order. Ideally someone should have been sent out to purchase cartons of orange juice. We had a king bedded jacuzzi suite. If your budget allows, do go for the suite. It's huge and has both a jetted bathtub and a separate shower. Also a wetbar.

Overall this hotel was pretty good, but there were two major things which dropped its rating from me. In fact, I'd say it's more of a 3.5 and I'm rounding up. The reason for my generosity in rounding up is the King suite with 1 King and 2 Queens worked great for us (and is probably how I ended up choosing the West Hills Inn). The first major issue is that we were on the second floor and there was no elevator. Not a huge deal, but with some 50 pound bags, that's a workout for late at night and first thing in the morning. Second, the description indicated it had a wet bar, but actually it was under construction. So instead there was a hole in a cabinet with some plumbing dangling underneath. Frankly I don't care much about having a wet bar, but don't say it has one if it doesn't. This did mean the only sink (and bathroom) were through the suite bedroom, so kids would have to cut through to use them. Other than those things, it was clean, breakfast was the typical type you expect from a best western. It looked as if some renovations have been made recently, as portions are quite modern. It was the right distance in travelling up from Denver and headed to the Black Hills based on when our flight arrived. I would stay again if I had to choose.

I stayed here one night on the way to the Black Hills. The room was clean. It was impressive how quiet it stayed for a Saturday night as we left our window open all night. Our rooms air conditioner didn't work so that is why we opened the window, but it was also 50 degrees outside so we could make the adjustment. All in all, I would stay again.

Nice quite location room neat and clean parking at the door on the ground floor. Problem at check in because the desk man didn't know how to use a gift card(which I found rather strange). Other then that no problems

We had a very comfortable, clean stay here. The breakfast was ok, but the stay was nice. Our kids were very comfortable and loved the pool! It was very quiet and the room was spacious. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel was clean, offered free breakfast and the staff friendly. We had a king suite and it was perfect. The location was easy to get too off the street. The hotel had quiet rooms and temperature was easy to regulate.

Stayed here one night on our way to Custer SP. Room clean and comfortable, usual fare for breakfast. Has a pool. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is great if you are travelling up from the south going to the parks further north.

This was a great midway stop between Thermopolis and Iowa City for us. After a long day on the road, the hot tub, which was super clean, was perfect. The hotel was not crowded, and the service was great. The only downside was that the WiFi was down, and they didn't let us know when we called to book. Hot spot on our phone worked though, so all was good. Custom breakfast was great, and plenty of it. Employees were personable and engaging.

We were here for just one night. The room was nice, and very clean - we were glad for the interior corridors to get out of the wind. There was only one staircase, which was a bit inconvenient if you have a second floor room. The breakfast room was nice and quite large. Breakfast was the typical offerings, and was fine. The breakfast staff was very friendly.

Great breakfast, clean rooms and awesome staff hospitality. The breakfast lady was fun and took great care of us. We would stay again. We had a quiet room location, plenty of parking. Location of hotel provided access to recreation.

We paid for a king size bed& wheregiven a queen size. We used points from credit card & clerk did not know how to refund points sine we did not get right room. Breakfast buffet was very good and had a variety of items to choose from

Nice property! First floor rooms have two doors, one to the outside for unloading your luggage, cooler etc and one to an interior hall. Room was large, clean & comfortable. The indoor pool and hot tub was a treat. There is an on site restaurant that is OK. The property is in the form of a square (Like fort) so there is an interior courtyard with tables chairs walkways etc.

Quick service, thoughtful of elderly, applied discounts and info provided when needed!! Comfy clean rooms and all was great! Logan and Cowboy and the young lady at the desk were awesome!! I would highly recommend this hotel to others to stay!

This is a nice hotel. Our room was much larger than we expected which was a bonus. It had a little kitchenette which we always appreciate. It's also situated next to a little restaurant which is very convenient The only thing I would say that could be improved upon was the sanitation of the breakfast.

We stopped on our way through town. We have had our ups and downs with Best Western hotels but this one was fine. The room was clean but did have a slight smell of cleaning products. I could live with it. The staff was good

We needed a place to stay one night as we toured western Nebraska. This place fit the bill for a place to sleep. It was clean and the staff was nice. The walls are thin and it is noisy so request a second floor room if you can to help a little. The breakfast was not good. Everything was luke warm when we got down there except for the potatoes that we're ice cold and under cooked. If you are just looking for a place to sleep and move on this will do though.

I always have a fantastic time here. The staff is always accommodating, and the rooms are always clean. If you have any issues, make sure to talk to staff, because they are more than willing to help out! I will always stay here when I come to Chadron.

A long day of driving compelled us to stop in Chadron, NE. As we are familiar with the BW brand we thought, let's do it. It's an older hotel, but the room is satisfactory, the beds were relatively comfy! However, the second we walked in the room, we were overcome with the smell of wet dog/carpet. It wasn't just a bit, it was nuts. Front desk offered to move us to a one bed room, but that wouldn't work. Oh well! I'm not one to really ever complain about noise, but the wall and floors felt paper thin and you could hear everything. If you need a place to sleep, do it. If you want comfort, meh, move along. I usually read reviews before I go somewhere, but this time I did not. There were quite a few complaints about the smell. Read carefully!

Stayed the night after a long driving day. We booked thru bringfido.com and sure enough we had a nice room waiting for us all. The room was a nice size, dogs had a window to look out and a grassy area outside was available for walking. Overall nice clean quiet stay

First, arriving to check in at around 4.30pm the desk clerk, Kyle, had gone walk about. Sure he had left the sign instructing you to call him - but since he also left the phone on the desk it was a pretty pointless exercise. After 15 minutes he returned, no apology until it was pointed out what he had done. Second, both vending machines for soda and water were simultaneously out of service. The coffee machine in the room worked but the chlorinated water made what was brewed undrinkable. Third, arriving for breakfast at 8.58am and asking Shiela for a plate we were told ‘Breakfast is finished.' Before 9 o'clock on a Sunday morning? Well it was only 90-something degrees, we weren't that thirsty despite being in a place which made it impossible to drink for 12 hours. We have traveled all over the US and always found the service in hotels and restaurants to be impeccable, so we will just put this one down as an off day- but won't use this hotel again.

The rate with my AAA discount was reasonable for a holiday weekend. My room on the second floor was clean and comfortable. Not reasonable was the floor squeaking with every step I took. Obviously, the subfloor on the second floor was not glued when the plywood was laid so now it squeaks like crazy. I can't imagine what that sounds like for first floor residents. Stay on the second floor if you can.

When we walked into the room from the outside, we were overcome by an awful smell. It was as if the room had been sealed up for a year with no air. We opened all the windows hoping this would clear it but it made little difference. We then opened the other door which led into the hotel corridor and the smell was even worse. We finally tracked down the cause of the smell - dirty carpets.....! I don't know when they were last cleaned but I would guess not in the last five years....! The room was very nice as was the bathroom. everything was very clean (except the carpets). However, the mattress was showing signs of wear and should have been replaced long ago. Had a big problem with trying to get to sleep as the occupant of the room above was continually stomping heavily across the floor. After three complaints, the duty manager moved them to another room. Breakfast was only served until 9am TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE as many people don't want to eat that early. Guests should be able to eat breakfast up to 10am. Staff were very friendly and helpful - especially the night clerk/manager who sorted out the noise problem for us.

Hotel staff was courteous, and overall appearance of hotel was satisfactory. Breakfast was good, and a decent assortment. However, as other reviews mentioned, we could hear the people in the room above us move about their room. Beds were comfortable but pillows were very lumpy and uncomfortable. But worst of all, our room had an awful smell of animal urine that seemed to be in the carpet near the entryway and bathroom. You couldn't count on your room key card to work either. Had ours reprogrammed twice. Other customers mentioned the same inconvenience with the cards. Although this was our second visit, a third visit is most unlikely.

Overall a good hotel that makes up deficiencies in amenities by having outstanding staff. The bed was not very comfortable. As noted in other reviews noise is an issue, but easily solved by leaving on fan at night to muffle sound. The room was very clean. Good breakfast.

This seems to be an older property. Hotel has an odd lay out. Our room had a strong musty smell when we entered the room. We were on the ground floor. There is no sound proofing in this hotel. We clearly heard every step and sound from the room above us. Included breakfast was good. Desk staff were very nice and helpful.

This is a party motel. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you want to actually sleep. We were woken up at midnight by doors slamming at both ends of the hallway, people yelling and running back and forth up and down the hallway. We called the front desk three times between midnight and 3:00 a.m., but the noise continued. After no more than 2 hours of sleep, we were woken again by banging doors and loud voices. In the morning, we heard other guests from our floor complaining about the noise, yet management refused to do anything about it.

Hotel staff was courteous and helpful, especially the breakfast staff. Breakfast selection was the same every day, would like to have seen a little more variety. Pool and hot tub were clean and in good working order. Rooms were nicely updated but internet service was somewhat slow.

If you're in Chadron Nebraska for any reason stay at the Best Western. To see the Museum of the Fur Trade, or the college or any other reason. The staff treated us like they knew us. They act like they own it and not just work there, Very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, The pool and the hot tub was very nice and very clean, some that is a overlooked part of a motel. There is a very good restaurant in front. It is a very good place to stay. You will not regret it.

Rooms are clean but the shower water took a long time to get warm in evening but my wife said it was OK in the morning. i always stay on top floor to avoid noise from above but I could still hear water running in other rooms and people talking loudly down the halls. For what they charge for a room I had hoped for a quieter stay. Although i did not eat complimentary breakfast it did look very good.......................................................

The room is great. The breakfast is the BOMB!!! I cant ever wait to come back to Chadron and stay at the Best Western due to the biscuit and gravy breakfast!!! The staff is great and always so pleasant to deal with. I travel quit often for work and stay in a lot of hotels but this Best Westerns happens to be the best place I like to stay

I had stayed here numerous times but the last time definitely was my last time! I travel for my business and trust that my things will remain safe there while I'm out. However, I came back to find the curtains in the room tucked above the curtain rod; that was a big clue that someone had been in my room! I went to the front desk and was told that the windows were being replaced. When asked why I wasn't notified, I was told that they never know when they are coming to do that work and they've been given a pass key to all of the rooms!!! I asked for the manager to call me or, better yet, to come see me that night. No contact was made from her until the next morning. She left a VM for me to call, which I attempted twice, but her VM box was full and I couldn't leave a message! She apologized in a VM to me and said she wanted to make things right. However, she was going out of town that day and she would call me that evening. I have yet to hear from her. (2 weeks ago) If you are a business traveler, do not leave anything in your room that needs to be kept confidential. If you are a "regular" traveler, hide everything! Do not believe that putting the "do not disturb" sign on the doorknob will keep out anyone.

It has been about 10 years since we last stayed at this hotel and we had the same room again. My biggest complaint is that there was no elevator, which was a real issue for me and anyone with mobility problems. I also think they could have done a lot better job of clearing the snow and ice in the entrance. Overall, our room received a lot of noise from the hall. It sounded like the place was falling in when people were walking up and down the stairs and hallway. We also heard a lot of noise from the lobby. It might have been quieter in an interior room. We were in town to attend an event at the college, and a few of the other students staying here were a bit noisy. It is never good when you check-in to a hotel and there is no directory in your room to tell you about the hotel and surrounding area. We had no information about restaurants and services in the area. We had a suite, which was rather spacious, however, my complaints about the room are still the same 10 years later as they were back then. Apparently no changes have ever been made from customer feedback. One of the biggest issues, was that there is no nightstand or clock in the main room with 2 beds, which wasn't functional at all. There was also hardly nowhere to put your luggage. There were no dressers or luggage racks. The heating & A/C unit kept kicking in and out every few minutes and was so loud that you couldn't hear the TV when it was on. You also had to go through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom. So this arrangement would only work for parents and children. There would be major privacy issues for friends or other groups traveling together. Room would have been a lot more functional if there were a second bathroom instead of a kitchenette, which was basically worthless, as there was no stove and only a tiny bar sink ( which had no hot water ), and there were no dishes or pots or pans, and only a tiny microwave and mini fridge, so there isn't going to be any cooking going on in there. Basically wasted space in a room that is designed for six people. Best use of the kitchenette was that it was somewhere to put your suitcases. At least the sink was outside of the bathroom, which made it a little easier to get ready, but the vanity was rather small, once again no where to put your stuff. There were also no hooks to hang anything on. How hard can it be to put up a couple of hooks, which would have made a big difference. The only mirror in the room was at the sink, which also made it difficult for everyone to get ready. I was disgusted that the maid left our dirty washcloths, and didn't give us any clean ones!!! I am certain this is the first time this has happened to me, and I have traveled 6-8 weeks of the year for the past 25 years. Another first I am certain of, is that the maid didn't even straighten up the pillows on the bed. Isn't properly making the bed the most basic of maid service expected at a hotel?? The next day, not only didn't the maid straighten the pillows, she didn't even bother to straighten our the sheets. I am just flabbergasted!!!!! Also, we used all of the tissues and the maid didn't leave us a new box. Additionally, she took the plastic cup off the sink everyday and never left us any new ones. It was nice that there were 2 TV's but it was very difficult to watch the one in the bedroom, as it was on the side of the room. There was NO way to comfortably watch that TV. There was an easy chair, but there was no where to put it to watch TV. The chairs on the dining table were wobbly and really need to be replaced before they collapse. It's not a good feeling to wonder if your chair is going to give way. Do yourself a favor and just forget about eating breakfast here. The food wasn't fit to eat! As we were making our plates the attendant commented rather rudely that, "If you go away hungry it's not my fault!!" EXCUSE ME!! If the food isn't fit to eat it IS your fault. The biscuits were cold and very dry. The gravy had a decent flavor, but was cold. The potatoes were only half cooked and were also cold and hadn't been seasoned. There was something posing as a fried egg patty, but I'm still not sure what it was. It was so tough that you had to cut it with a knife. It was also cold and when I attempted to take a bite the taste was so bad I had to spit it out. Isn't serving food cold that is supposed to be hot a health code violation?? There was also no salt to be found anywhere. We ate at McDonald's for breakfast the rest of our stay and had a good meal. The food at the Country Kitchen next door also leaves a lot to be desired. On the brighter side, everything was clean and seemed to be in good condition except for the chairs in the room. The tile and carpet appeared to be new. If I am ever in this area again I will definitely stay somewhere else. This place needs to make some adjustments to make the suites more functional and the service staff needs to be retrained.

Well maintained comfortable stay. This hotel has undergone some remodel and is Very nice! The workout room is especially high end if that is important to you. They serve a very nice breakfast and the staff goes out of their way to help in any way possible.

The Chadron College football staff had us stay at while we were visiting the campus on a football recruiting trip. It was a great choice, the motel was lovely. We could meet with other players and coaches there without interupption.

The pillows were small and lumpy, the mattress was so worn that I kept rolling to the middle of the bed during the night. The carpets in my room were dirty and there was crusted food stuck on the carpet by the couch. There's no elevator and while I'm not wheelchair bound, I do have trouble with stairs. The desk clerk would not attempt to find a ground floor room for me. The sausage patties served at breakfast were literally soggy and gray and I didn't risk trying them. The employee working the breakfast bar however, was cheerful and helpful and very friendly.

Convenient hotel near shopping and all Chadron has to offer. Wonderful helpful staff. Service was exceptional. Really enjoyed the pool and fitness areas! Restaurant next door was convenient. Will return to stay here!

The staff was very courteous and helpful. The room was very clean. The breakfast was very good a large selection. I will definitely be staying at the hotel the next time i make my way to Chadron. I would not stay anywhere else.

I travel extensively for business, staying in hotels 50-90 nights a year. I use Best Western quite often because they rarely fail me. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The beds are always comfortable and the rooms are quiet which is very important to me.

One of the beds appeared to not of had the sheets changed. The other bed sagged and was not level because the floor was sagging. When I addressed with mgr she pointed out beds did not have the right bedding. Breakfast was very good and plenty of hot water.

Clean, quiet rooms. Pleasant helpful staff, great breakfast and coffee. Easy parking and ground floor room access. Indoor pool and hot tub area was well lite and very clean. Close to southern Black Hills and surrounding region of Pine Ridge with Native American and western history.

We are better disappointed when we stay at the Chadron Best Western. The rooms are comfortable and attractively decorated. The breakfast includes hot items along with cereal and fruit. Indoor hot tub is a great way to relax after being on the road.

Hotel was nice and well maintained. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Room had TV, microwave and bar-sized fridge. Shower had good pressure. Breakfast had good variety of choices. Staff was very pleasant. Would stay there again.

I have stayed at this hotel several times when passing thru Chadron, Nebraska. It is easy to get in and out of in the winter and right off of Hwy 385. Always has a hot breakfast and a friendly staff. Lunch and dinner are available next door. Easy access to the college and all things Chadron.

What a unique hotel. The people are so nice and the hotel is very well kept. It is an older building but the inside is very updated! Rooms are super clean and decent sized. They have several suites as well. Some have Jacuzzi tubs and patios or balconies. I would think it would be great for families. It's very quiet here and right next door to Country Kitchen. WiFi works great and they have a big breakfast buffet in the morning and it changes by day. Keep up the good work!!

This motel has served us well over the past eight years when we visit Chadron. We have tried others but keep coming back to this place. They do their best to treat you right. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nice hotel. I stayed in a recently updated wing. They did a great job, had a new room feel, not just a coat of paint. Nice carpet! Breakfast was very good with a great variety. Shower was hot and powerful. Great staff.

We stayed in Chadron, NE for 1 night. It is a small town so we were not expecting much from the hotel. We were surprised by how comfortable our stay was. The room was huge. It was very quiet.The staff was super friendly both on the phone and in person. We were thinking that sometime we might come back.

Tracy and logan did a great job. Rooms are great. Pool and hot tub are nice. Great place to stay with children, and family. Country kitchen is a restaurant next door. Less then 5 minute drive to Wal-Mart.

I was very impressed with our hotel room. The bedding was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel staff was very pleasant. The location was great. I would stay here again and would recommend it to anyone.

Noise level was annoying in the morning and late at night, WiFi would connect and then disconnect constantly. Overall was ok, but may look into other options next time we come out to Chadron, we'll see

The spa didn't work, had to get a key to get in the fitness area(most motels you can use your room key), the room cricked and creaked with every step, the room was spacious but that's all you can say about it. Need a nice, comfy place to sit besides the chairs at the table. The breakfast area was crowded, especially in the back room! The bananas were bad....I like a lot of smaller tables instead of long ones where everyone has to sit together! And, then there was a whole lot of "Garage Sale" kind of stuff put in the back corner...didn't look too nice!!

This hotel is very nice and clean. We really enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable and the shower had great water pressure. It has a beautiful patio area. The front desk lady, Katie was so helpful and friendly! We would definitely stay here again!

We only stayed one night. Definitely recommend. Sara was as delightful in person as she was on the phone, and very accommodating. She remedied our heating problem quickly with minimal inconvenience to us. Clean and comfortable facility, good location. Construction in front of the building was a little inconvenient.

This is a wonderful hotel. It is located in an easily accessible place and has a restaurant right next to it. Our room was large and quiet. The landscaping was very well done and it had an interior courtyard with setting. Our room had a Keurig along with coffee selections. The breakfast is slightly confusing as part of it is in the reception area with the remainder in a meeting room. But they had great coffee - Blue Sage and large wonderful muffins.

I resent the 'save the planet' signage that is nothing more than an excuse for poor water pressure in the shower and cheap paper products. I stayed two different nights here on this trip and found the beds to be either mushy or having edges that felt like metal. The staff were helpful and pleasant. The WiFi was acceptable. The TV stations were limited to standard network fare with none of the commercial-free offerings at Super 8. If I can I'll find lodging other than Best Western's 'SAVE THE PLANET'.

My room at the Best Western was absolutely huge. It was more than I was expecting for their standard rate. The room was very clean and updated. My room was on the second floor on the south side of the hotel and it was very quiet. This hotel also offers a great breakfast buffet and a nice space to work, read the paper, or watch the news.

Just one night in Chadron on our way to Mt. Rushmore and chose Best Western from other reviews- But for the price we paid we were disappointed in the quality of the rooms and comfort and quality of the beds and linen. Continental Breakfast was minimal. In our opinion- Best Western is not the best.

picked this hotel as the stop over between the drive from KS to SD, for the price it was OK. Arrived around 9pm and been told we've been given a double Queen beds and request if King available and the check in staff noted that what was booked and the hotel's full. We drove to the back of the hotel and used the back door to our upstair room. Upon arriving at the 2nd floor, some very unpleasant odor greeted us, luckily the room was near the stair thus we weren't subjected to that odor for extended period of time (the odor remains, however the next day). The room was spacious and quiet, but a cupboard was oddly placed next to one of the bed, and door to the cupboard couldn't be opened fully. To hang clothes, you either reach over stretching or jump onto the bed. Seems like the placement and the practicality was an after thought. Other than this, the room is great with standard amenities like fridge, microwave, coffee maker & wifi. The bed comfort was OK. The next day, we had to wake up early being the complimentary breakfast ends at 9am on a Saturday, which was too early (most hotels end at 10 for weekends). Standard run of the mill breakfast but the sole lady working in the kitchen was overwhelmed and the smoke from her cooking filled the room, luckily we sat away off the area else we'd smelled like cooked sausage the entire day. The pancake machine was not working and she mentioned the toaster also broken but she's happy to toast our bread, we politely declined. Despite being overwhelmed, she seemed friendly and filled the food tray constantly. Check out was quick, all in all it was a good stay. Would have been given a higher rate had not the inconvenient placement of furniture in the room, the super early breakfast end time and the pungent smell on the hallway.

We were glad that we had picked the Best Western in Chadron. Good location, nice facility, nice furnishings, nice courtyard, all very clean, nothing to feel bad about. Staff recognized our desires and assigned a perfect room. We like the inside and outside access that some hotels have, very convenient. Did not utilize all the ammenities though.

I was pleased to see they allowed motorcyclists traveling in a group to park in the courtyard so they could feel secure. Very thoughtful. It's good to see a company that cares for its customers. We will be stay here again.

Very clean, quiet, and friendly hotel with quick and easy access to the college campus. Room was spacious and comfortable and bathroom was clean. Appeared recently updated. We were given free eclipse glasses too! We will stay here again!

- Noise: Neighbors were very noisy well into the night. It would be helpful if Best Western had a noise policy from 10pm to 8am. - Internet not secure: The Internet security was deemed poor enough by Norton Internet Security such that it would not allow my computer to connect to the Internet. Fortunately, I was able to connect with my tablet to do some of the tasks needed to be done.

We are just back from a 5 day 3 hotel journey and this one was a best value. Clean pool warm enough to swim in. Friendly helpful breakfast folks. Comfortable room. great price. If you are going thru Chadron, this is the place to be.

Motel recently renovated. Rooms and hallways attractively appointed. Complimentary breakfast was above average. Pool and spa clean and attractive. Has courtyard with outdoor tables and chairs. Rooms were good sized and clean. Rooms had microwave/frig/flat screen TV. Bathroom had all amenities needed. Parking ample on both sides of building. Has inside entrance to rooms as well as back door for ease of offloading/loading luggage. Excellent restaurant next door. Staff was especially helpful and eager too please. BEST HOSPITIALITY SEEN IN A LONG TIME. Prices were reasonable. Good value!!!! Only drawback were the 4 small (marshmallow), somewhat thin, pillows on the king bed. Longer pillows needed. Had to double up pillows.

Dropped off our student to college and stayed the night. Nice room. Very clean. Enjoyed the cookies in the evening. Bummer no donuts in the morning continental breakfast. Wished there was flavored creamers for coffee.

Best Western in Chadron Ne. is very good at seeing to it that you get a good nights rest for a fair price. 4 pillows per bed[nice], clean rooms, and if you go away hungry it's your own fault. Sometimes if in a hurry you still can get 2 bottles of water and a snack to go.

Great location. Chadron is in the middle of nowhere. The room was large, clean, good amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. I chose this location as a stopping point between Denver and the Baldlands.

The facility is clean but our room is a complete sauna. You would think when a room is reserved that they would spend the money to turn down the air. Arrived at 430. Left for dinner at 515. Came back at 645 to an 86 degree room. Made some suggested changes to unit but still at 900 HOT HOT HOT. Was told we could move rooms if not sold out but REALLY. Not cool literally

the Rooms were super clean, and the bed was comfortable!! Another plus, Fast wi-fi. It's a great place to stay especially for the price! I Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it!!

Who knew? This is an excellent hotel. The room was clean, the Internet connection was fast, the staff made every effort to make sure our stay was uneventful. Watch out for Room 124, it's too close to the hallway door and very noisy at night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful in finding area restaurants and activities, the pool was perfect for our kids, there was no outside noise while sleeping, and the breakfast had lots of selection and was well prepared/presented!

I was a bit concerned since Chadron is a small town. But the Chadron Best Western was outstanding. Staff was exceptionally cordial. I would definitely stay here again. Right next door is a Country Kitchen. A 10 for this hotel!

Great customer service. Logan is the best!!! very accommodating to bikers with wash station for our bikes after a long day of riding. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, breakfast in the morning was above average with a lot different choices. Would stay here again

The rooms were big and clean. The rooms are smoke free. The hotel staff was very friendly. Also the breakfast was good every morning. They had eggs, sausage, cereal, biscuits & gravy, yogurt, pancakes, toast, fruit each morning. I def would stay here again.

We had 3 rooms here on July 5th. The two rooms with 2 queen beds were very large and nice. We had a third room with a king bed in its own room and another room with 2 queen beds and room for a roll away bed which was ready for us when we checked in. The front desk clerk was awesome and very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hotel; our family of 5 shared a room where we normally need to get two rooms.

Stayed one night on a trip from Omaha to the Black Hills. Nice break point, only 1.5 hrs from Black Hills. Easy check-in, nice spacious room, clean, bathroom very clean, everything worked. Breakfast was fine, with plenty of options.

Newer hotel. Well kept and very clean. We did notice quite a bit of noise coming from the 2nd floor as we stayed on the first floor. Perhaps they skimped on noise insulation when built. The first night the noise was bad but the 2nd night it was much better. Perhaps the occupants on the 2nd floor the first night should have been asked to quiet down such as running in the hallway, etc. Sounded like they were playing basketball in their room!!

Large, clean rooms and a wonderful breakfast. Our room included a microwave, mini-Keurig, and refrigerator. The breakfast offered a number of options and provided enough seating room for guests. The entire facility is clean with very helpful, friendly staff. I will definitely be back when I am in the area.

Stomping and loud voices from room above us.We had to ask for toilet paper two days in a row. We asked for a luggage stand and there were none available until the next day. The breakfast was good with a good selections of foods. The staff was pleasant and helpful.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations from the on-line photos provided. The indoor pool was warm and clean and the rooms had refrigerators and microwaves. The location to shopping, the college, restaurants was great. The breakfast left a little to be desired but for my money the stay was a nice respite.

I have stayed at a couple of hotels in Chadron, but this by far is the best one for me. Pleasant staff, nice rooms (even if the building is getting older), met my expectations. Will definitely stay there when I visit Chadron again.

The room was fine & beds very comfortable. There was no noise from the outside. The floor had a lot of creaks & some furniture was outdated. The room was huge and it appeared furniture had been removed & put elsewhere. The breakfast was poor. They ran out of several items & there was no repacements until a truck arrived later in the day.

Room had a horrible odor. When my daughter climbed in bed, she said there was something in it. It was full of a gritty substance, similar to sand. The fridge didn't work the first night, but was replaced after I complained. Complained about everything, but that was the only thing rectified.

Probably the best motel/hotel to stay at in the Chadron region. Clean accomodations, good hot breakfast. Breakfast could offer a couple additional items, but is adequate. Staff is friendly and offers to be helpful.

Was great for an overnight. Great comfy bed. The floor was super creaky - I was on the first floor so that was surprising. Luckily my upstairs neighbors weren't restless. The breakfast eggs were totally unappetizing. Otherwise it was good - nice, friendly helpful staff. I give it 4 stars for this category of hotel.

Nice rooms and very clean. A restaurant on site and convenient parking outside your room. Modest breakfast was OK. You are a short drive outside Chadron which is a nice town with nice side streets. There is a pool in the hotel but we did not sample it.

This hotel is very nicely updated. The remodeled bathroom is beautiful, the water was hot for both showers, the counterspace in bathroom ample. We did moved the coffeemaker out to the desk in the room. Our bed was comfy and we didn't experience any noise issues and slept all night. We did not try the free breakfast out, but the coffee needed a boost. It is nice to know that out in the middle of nowhere, Chadron is a booming community supporting the college & residents and providing travelers with a nice place to stay.

Loved the bathroom in our room, it was spacious and trendy! Looks like they were recently redone or they take excellent care of them! Yummy breakfast with a pancake maker! If I am ever through chadron again I know where I will stay!!

Our stay at the hotel for 2 nights was pleasant. The room was clean and the breakfast good. The only issue we had was the air conditioner had a mind of its own. The room was either too hot or freezing. We would stay there again though due to location.

We are the top level of Best Western's Rewards and stay at Best Western's all over the country and the staff at this one was one of the friendliest groups of people we have ever met. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed but not just us! They greeted all their guests with the same welcoming attitude. We had the jacuzzi suite which was HUGE - two rooms and a huge bathroom! Had a jacuzzi bathtub with a separate shower and even had a separate door for the toilet! The living room had a fridge, sink and microwave which was great because we were able to get groceries from Walmart and eat at the hotel. There are plenty of restaurants that are very close by. The location is beautiful and I strongly recommend this hotel to anyone who is traveling to the area.

Chadron Ne is a beautiful by Pine Ridge. The view from the hotel when the sun is going down over the Pine Ridge Prairie is breath taking. And by the way the staff and service at the hotel are what you expect.

We had a room with a fantastic view. We are traveling with a Service Dog, and were very pleased with all the green area to exercise our dog. The only thing that was mediocre was the breakfast. Otherwise it was very nice!

Travelled to Chadron for graduation, BW seemed to be the largest hotel in town (don't worry, it looks like a new hotel in near completion) The hotel is very dated, the air conditioning in our room did not work overnight which made it difficult to actually sleep. Tried contacting the front desk, but it was deserted. Breakfast was less than appealing. Overall it will work if your standards are low and the options are very limited. Not recommended for sure. Paid $130/night to be miserable. The next night we paid $135 for the Presidential Suite at Hilton, no comparision.

Work booked this hotel and it was very close to the Collage. I was checked in right away and given room 223 with no issues. For an older hotel it fit the needs for a place to stay. The hear was very very loud over night it was difficult to remain sleeping. Nice low key not fancy type of breakfast, and the coffee was good. I would stay here again.

Clean, quiet and friendly Stayed here while doing a college tour. For a small town hotel, they did a really nice job. We will stay at this hotel again, if we come back to Chadron. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Friendly front desk staff allowed me to check in early so I could conduct a conference call for work in my room as I was on the road traveling for work and needed a quiet place. I will stay here again for business the next time I am in the area.

Very unaccommodating. Breakfast was poor quality and staff was never around to help with anything. The bathroom was the nicest thing about the room! I was actually told to look in a freezer for my own ice!

We were very pleased with the handicapped accessible room. There was room! More space than is usual. We appreciated the friendly staff. Katie Ramos was very helpful when I needed to change reservations. Other family members were in the Mini-Suite and also found the room very spacious. If the motel is crowed or full, the stairs can be noisy.

Very nice place, across the street from Wal mart. I have been there before. This time my room had two doors: one inside and one outside by your parking place. Many hunters wearing bright orange clothes staying there. A new, huge competition lodging is about half finished. There is enough demand since there are no close towns with other choices in any direction.

The staff are very friendly. There is little selection for hotels in Chadron, though new hotel under construction. This is a nice, clean, older hotel. Unfortunately wall unit AC's cycle on and off which can be a problem for light sleepers. Very close to Chadron State College.

They should all be like this! Clean and a great value! The staff is friendly and the cleaning staff obviously take pride in their work. I was on the road for a month living in hotels and this one was the best value and the cleanest.

This motel and it's staff never cease to please. They cover all the bases to make this a mid ranged priced first class establishment even though management has changed since our last visit. We stay here two to three times a year.

The West Hills Best Western is among the best I have stayed at in terms of rooming options and amenities. The standard rooms and bathrooms are spacious and clean, with the option of a room with doors inside or outside at ground level. There's a nice fitness center, HUGE pool and jacuzzi, and a big breakfast in the morning. The hotel is also conveniently located near the main highways and downtown in Chadron so you aren't far from anything.

Perfect location if visiting Chadron State College. Rooms are large, clean and comfy. Have stayed many times with no issues. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Would highly recommend staying at this hotel if visiting the area. Will stay again.

On business here in Chadron and took Trip Advisor community advice to stay here. Pleasantly surprised at the very spacious room (mini suite) that I am in. The front desk person, Karian ( I hope I got her name correct) is just so sweet and nice. My key did not work on day 2 and she had a smile on her face the entire time I dealt with her at check in and redoing my key. Very charming for an older hotel and very quiet. I was thankfully on the first floor since no elevator, but heard no sounds from above.

Recently had a business trip to Chadron and stayed for two nights at the West Hills Inn based on advice of an ex-resident that it was "the best in town." That may be true, but if so, Chadron needs a better hotel. The people were very nice at the front desk, and they offered free breakfast that included scrambled eggs and sausage as well as the usual cold fare. It was OK, but nothing like the variety and presentation of breakfast at your average Holiday Inn Express or Hampton or other moderately priced hotels. And the pancake maker seemed to be broken, adding to my disappointment. But the real deal breaker here is the cheap construction of the place. Seemed to be all wood framed 2 story with flimsy stairs and flooring that made every step of a person in the hall or stairway very audible in the room. Paper thin walls had me hearing the conversation in the neighboring room almost as if there wasn't a wall there at all. Bathroom did seem to have been upgraded with a one-piece tub-shower that looked pretty new, but it limited the ceiling height so much that at 5'10" I felt claustrophobic and had to raise the flexible shower head apparatus to the highest level and still duck down to wash my hair. Bed and pillows were OK, windows actually open (all the way) which was nice because the weather was perfect, and housekeeping was OK as well. Unfortunately, nothing is going to fix cheap construction, so if you have to stay at "Chadron's best," prepare to use your headphones or earplugs. I guess if you enjoy eavesdropping on your neighbors it would be great for that, but the conversations of my neighbors weren't all that interesting.

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Is is beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and very nice. The breakfast was great. Lots of choices for hot or cold breakfast. The pool is nice. And the view is spectacular.

The hotel seems very new, but the front exterior needs a portico or something to indicate it is the front entrance, as we were a little confused in finding the front door. The front desk area was very nice and they offered hot and cold coffee as well as fresh cookies. The pool and hot tub were just the right temperatures for relaxation.

I reserved 4 rooms for 2 nights and couldn't be more pleased with the rooms, employees and service. Breakfast was delicious and had ample choices to choose from. Plan to stay there in the future. I will definitely refer this motel to my friends.

We are very happy with our stay in Chadron. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to Chadron State College, which was very nice. The breakfast had something for everyone, and we all got full. We will stay there again!

Stayed in a nice sized room that had a sofa, the bed was very comfortable. The room was clean and in good shape. The breakfast was good, made myself a sausage and egg biscuit. Would stay again if i needed a room in the area.

There is not much accommodation choice in Chadron, so I arrived with somewhat lower expectations. The check-in was a nice surprise, it was friendly, welcoming and efficient. The clerk confirmed my room preference and assigned me a quiet, top floor room. The hotel lobby appeared very nice, clean and they offered hot as well as iced coffee. The whole property as well as the room were dated in style and design, but kept in good shape. The room was clean, extremely spacious, it seemed some elements of it have recently been remodeled. The vanity and the bathroom were somewhat small, especially compared to the very large room. The wooden ceilings were very squeaky, so I was glad I had requested a top floor room. The beds were comfortable. One of the best things was the fact that they started their breakfast already at 5:30 am. I am an early riser and often find it frustrating, when breakfasts don't start before 6:30 or even 7 am. The worst part was the check-out experience. First, the clerk wanted to charge me for the room, which had already been done at check-in the previous evening. Then she told me she could not give me a receipt, since I had made my reservation over the chain's webpage, which made her computer froze!?! I always make BW reservations over chain's web page and never experience any of these problems. I really needed the receipt and asked if there was another way of obtaining it later. She assured me they were going to email me the receipt when the manager gets in and figures it out. Guess what - up until now (almost a month after my stay) they still haven't emailed me the receipt. I mentioned this fact in "comments" section of the questionnaire they sent me but it didn't help either.

Convenient location next to a decent restaurant. Hotel was ok for the money but breakfast was nothing to write home about. Staff were nice and polite but not knowledgeable about some things we asked. We wanted to use the fitness center but it's located off the pool with no air conditioning and was at least 80 degrees and humid. Not a very healthy place to work out!

We came to Chadron for high school football. We checked in after the game and found the hotel to be very clean and well maintained. The pool and hot tub were nice enough. We slept well and enjoyed the breakfast food. There were a few gluten free items, though cross-contamination might be an issue for some. The best thing about our experience was the staff. Every single person working there was friendly and went above and beyond to take care of us. We would definitely recommend the West Hills Inn to anyone looking for a place to stay in Chadron.

I spent two nights here while touring the area. It is an older hotel and the décor and furniture are not the most modern, but it had all I needed and everything in my room worked, which is often not the case in new hotels. The breakfast was good with a wide variety of hot and cold items. The big disappointment was the restaurant next door where the food was both poor quality and quite expensive and there didn't appear to be many alternatives in town.

Staying one night for business trip and college visit. Room was fine. Wondered why they it didn't have an elevator. Lumpy pillows. Subpar breakfast. Good location. Not a lot choices in town. Good for a business stay. Clean and friendly staff.

This was a reasonably priced motel and the staff were very friendly. The room was spacious and it had a small refrigerator. The bathroom was large enough, except the shower was slightly cramped. What really cost the hotel a better rating was the VERY creaky floors and the too soft bed which left my wife and I both with sore backs in the morning. Any motion in our room or in the room above ours was loud enough to wake a moderately light sleeper. This motel has a very nice indoor pool and everything was well maintained and upgrades were made where needed. If we had a better night's sleep from more quiet and a firmer mattress then the rating would definitely have been higher.

Reserved 2 rooms in March for July for my 2 adult kids when we got there they sold a room out from under us n my oldest they had 2 rooms also as so did my brother n wife n we all lost a room that was reserved I called n talked to Tracy the manager n she was the rudest person ever n didn't want to resolve it we have stayed there for years but it was under different management n never a problem so be careful she's not nice so I did file a complaint about 5 minutes ago she won't call back n she charged my daughters cr card instead no wonder she couldn't find mine wow they need to get rid of her asap

Nice room, pancake making machine. Pleasant check in lady. Nothing fancy, but quite adequate for a smaller town. Convenient to restaurant although we didn't eat there. Very nice and helpful staff. Would stay again next time we are in Chadron.

We were in town for a wedding and the West Hills Inn was recommended to us as the best place in town. We were in one of the "suites", which was basically a large room with a recliner and small desk. It was nice enough, and our room was on the back side of the hotel, which I hoped meant it would be quiet. Well, not so much. There are several things that contribute to the noise level. One, the walls don't seem to have much if any sound insulation. Two, the ground floor rooms aren't on concrete but on a wooden floor with some space underneath, which amplifies the sound of someone walking in another room. Three, you can have noise coming both from outside and the interior hallway. Ground-floor rooms have doors on both ends, one to the outside (like a motel) and one to the inside (like a hotel). We got the noise of cars pulling up to the rooms near ours outside, and a surprising amount of noise from the interior hallway. The doorway leading to the interior hallway had a very large gap (over an inch) at the bottom, allowing light and especially noise from the hallway. We were a few doors down from the exterior entry into the hallway, and had to listen to that door slam shut over and over again, along with loud footsteps going past us and up the stairs. Shoving something into the gap to try to block the noise only helped a little. Fortunately for us the hotel wasn't very busy so the number of other guests we had to listen to was limited. If they'd do something about the noise I'd give the place another star.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. I personally found it lacking in certain areas. The hotel itself, whilst housed in a nice building is somewhat lower in standard compared to other chains of a similar category that we stay in. Firstly the room itself was drab and depressing with terrible lumpy pillows, creaking floorboards, and thinnish walls. We were kept awake till 2 am by people loudly talking outside our room, but to the hotel's credit, when we complained to Reception, they immediately dealt with the problem. Breakfast was a low-standard affair, not nearly as good as Holiday Inn Expresses, that's for sure. This town doesn't have too many hotels anyway, so this is probably the best of a bad bunch. If you have to stay in this town, then this would be your best choice.

I had no problem with the room at all. I made a reservation on expedia after going by the hotel description. It said there was a restaurant and bar/lounge on site. Tripadvisor and the motels web site also state this. After traveling 7 hours and arriving hoping to have a relaxing drink in the bar I was told they did not have one. The restaurant was next door across the parking lot. And while you could have some wine and other spirits in the restaurant it was not what you would call a bar. It's stretching the truth to say "Restaurant on-site". These descriptions all should be changed to restaurant next door.

Very nice motel -- clean, good breakfast with plenty of seating, and friendly folks. The pool was nice and clean. This hotel has a wonderful 2-room family suite, with 2 queen and one king bed. Tip: there is no elevator to get to the second floor.

The staff at this hotel are awesome, the breakfast was well prepared and hot. The only issue I have with this hotel is the sound proofing is non-existent and building quality is poor. You can hear everything that goes on in the room next to you, the windows whistle at night because they are ill-fitting, the floors creak, and the room AC and refrigerators are older and make noise.

Wow!! I was here for a family reunion over the 4th of July. The first day we arrived, one of my family members was given a room that smelled like mold. Then he was offered a room where the air conditioner did not work. Finally, he was given a good room. My mother was offered a room that smelled like a dog had stayed in the room. It is pet friendly, but they must not clean properly after pets. There is no elevator so we had to lug luggage upstairs with no offer of help. The pool had no towels to use. I had to ask for towels when the staff knew it was a full hotel for the reunion and should have been replenishing often. My daughter also slipped and fell at the pool that has no traction around the edge. The first night, we smelled marijuana in and out of the hotel. Staff showed no concern for this. I had the scent coming into my window while my children were sleeping. The next morning my room was somewhat cleaned. I think they just made the bed. They took all my used towels and did not replenish new towels. I had to call the staff and they said I could come get some at the front desk!! I would have liked them to deliver these to me. Most hotels do deliver things like this. The breakfast was below average. No creamer for coffee until two days after I said something. The sausage was not browned and looked half raw until the third day. The yogurt was gone the third day there. There was only one staff member that seemed to care. There were dogs in the hotel running around the breakfast area. The doors SLAMMED. They need to adjust the tension on the doors. This hotel management needs to do an overhaul on service. I will not stay here again. Thanks for letting me do a review. Maybe I will save someone for a miserable stay.

We had a double queen room that was more like a small suite. It was roomy and had a small kitchen. Wish we had this space at all hotels. The lobby and hallway outside of our room was nicely decorated as was the courtyard. Our only complaint was the musty smell that cleared up somewhat when we turned on the A/C. The HVAC system probably needs to be sanitized.

They did not clean the room after our first night, no explanation, no phone call and no apology. Our group had nine people and the motel did not clean any of the rooms. they made no attempt to let us know. They offered discounts to some of our party but in differing amounts. I had stayed there before without any issues so am wondering what happened to the management.

Delightful place to stay as one approaches the Black Hills or wanders about West Nebraska. Very good bed, with good linens, and rooms are up to date with amenities with good AC. Breakfast cuts no corners and is high quality. Staff is helpful and courteous. In sum, solid value and comfort. Go down the road and see the Chadron Museum of the Fur Trade which is a gem not to be overlooked.

This is a nice motel however I would not consider it 143.00 nice even though the rooms are clean with the exception of the tubs, the breakfast is basic cereal and toast, there is a hot tub and pool however

Upon first arriving the outside is nothing to be excited about. However after entering our room we were pleasantly surprised. There was an entrance from both the hotel hallway and the outdoor parking area on either end of the room. The room was very clean, having both a dog and a one year old, I always check out the nooks and crannies beforehand! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in and the shower was great. The pool and hot tub looked great, though we didn't use them. There is a little enclosed open air courtyard in the middle of the hotel. While my husband was getting ready in the morning the rest of us went there to get some fresh air and stretch our legs. My one year old enjoyed walking along the patio furniture while my leashed dog enjoyed sniffing everything. Rooms that did not have hallway/parking access had hallway/courtyard access. The breakfast was very good and I would've given it 6 stars if I could for one thing alone- breakfast seating! Anyone who frequently has the complementary breakfasts at hotels can agree that there is never enough seating and it's always cramped. Not here! Big folding tables in one room and bistro types in another ensure everyone has a place to sit. Staff was very friendly, we would stay again if we ever went back through Chadron.

Nice-sized room, decent breakfast, quiet, comfortable bed, good shower, what more could we ask? We walked to Chinese House (? Only Chinese restaurant in town) -- that was a mistake. Perhaps we should have avoided the buffet. Note that there is no sidewalk between hotel and restaurant, also no traffic light to help you across the highway. Next morning we went to the Museum of the Fur Trade, which is excellent.

Our room was clean, comfortable and basic. There was ample counter space in the bathroom. The tub drained well, and the exhaust fan was effective. The room included a microwave and refrigerator. There was a standing lamp in the corner that might have been supposed to be next to a reading chair, but there wasn't a reading chair.

We showed up in Chadron, without intending to stay but it looked like the best town to stop for the night, given the distance to and size of towns around that section of Western Nebraska. We called the hotel and the young woman at the front desk actually guided us to the hotel while we talked to her on the phone. (She was our real live GPS voice.) Nice, clean room and VERY comfortable bed.

Yep, it's fine. Small town, not many options, possibly the best hotel there. I was not impressed at all, but I was tired, and I slept. LOL. That's about the best I can say for it. Oh - long hike from the front desk to our room, and then we had to lug our suitcases up the stairs, no elevator. So ask for a first floor room if you care about that kind of thing. Room was large and clean enough. Had some issues with the hotel room temperature (super hot when we got in, then got really cold and couldn't quite get it the right temperature).

If your going to Chadron, NE. This is the place to stay! I have family out there and have to travel there a lot. I have stayed at all the hotels there but this is my favorite!! Nice indoor pool and hot tube. Breakfast is good. Restaurant next door is very convenient. The staff is awesome here!! They have always gone above and beyond for me at any request!! Even moving a 100 lbs of fish into there small freezer.

Sorry, but not a good experience... The room was not cleaned, so we need to ask for linen to be changed. After 10pm our "neighbours" upstairs did not want to settle, the walls and floors are so think,you can actually hear people's conversations..We asked to change the room at midnight and finally got some sleep. Breakfast was typical and basic.

Hotel very clean & great location. Staff very helpful & accommodating. Room was nice & spacious. Would definitely stay there again & recommend!! Used the fitness room even though was a bit small but fit my needs. The pool & hot tub were nice too. Don't have anything to complain about.

A great place to stay if you find yourself in Chadron, NE. What else should I say for you Best Western? It was convenient, clean, handy, and necessary for me at that time. I'm glad it was there, but it could easily have been another hotel brand, I just needed a room.

First, the good. This is really a great place. We had the accessible room and found it spacious and well thought out. A real plus is the multitude of outlets. Bed was comfortable, heater was quiet. There was a table and two chairs (Another real plus. (Cookie was very tasty.) The staff was delightful. Breakfast was varied and excellent. A few nits (and these are nits -- nothing serious). The bathroom grab bar near the shower is placed a bit too far from the tub. Hotel is aware of this and has plans to fix this in the fall. It's presently usable, but a bit of a stretch. With two chairs, the room is configured for two people. A second easy chair and light would be a nice touch. If the heater had a setting that permitted the fan to run continuously while in heat mode, that would be nice. Now for the ugly. Better sound deadening between the rooms and better cushioning on upstairs floors would help. Not bad, but some hotels are better in this regard.

I stayed one night on a Saturday night in a queen bed and the room was spacious. Good variety for provided breakfast, lots of room to eat, long tables for groups, helpful staff. Big sign from the road and no signs on the front of the building. Saw families with kids and multi generational. The room was quiet, clean, and I slept well. It has a pool.

it was clean and nice, the breakfast is not lacking anything necessary and the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating, this is a real nice place to relax after a long days drive, the beds were very comfortable.

From the minute I stepped into my room I knew I made the right choice when I booked this place. My room was enormous and so relaxing and comfortable. The place is super clean from your room, the pool and fitness center, to all the common areas including the stellar outdoor courtyard. The continental breakfast is superb with something for everyone. It's location is minutes away from gas stations, restaurants, laundromats and grocery stores-basically every need you may have is covered. And the staff is super friendly and courteous and always looking for ways to make your stay more enjoyable. This is the only place I will stay when I visit Chadron in the future. A++++++

I always have good clean modern rooms, with helpful friendly staff. Rarely do I not get the room I want. Great Place to Stay. At least once a month I stay here and do not consider any other place. I enjoy the location and worth staying here.

we loved it there but i was told at check in my rate would be a certain price and when i got the bill it was 25.00 more im glad i had it but was kind of a shock..i love the remodel looks great but need to have more padding on the carpet on the upper rooms i could hear them walking around loved the pool area.. the two doors room made it easier to unload and load.. front desk staff was great loved the breakfast everyone there was help full// great way to introduce my son to chadron

Don't let the outward appearance mislead you, the interior of this hotel is very nice. The room was clean and the bathroom was nice for a hotel in this price range. This is definitely where I would stay if I was visiting Chadron again. I appreciated the business center, with computer access and a printer for guest use. This made the short stay surprisingly hassle-free.

This is a great hotel in a small town. The agents are very accommodating and friendly. We have stayed there several times and will most likely continue to do so. Nice town and people. Will bring more friends next time.

This is a nice Best Western. The staff are very nice and helpful. The bed was comfortable, nice pillows. Room was clean, and bathroom was large. The pool area is very nice, but the jets in the hot tub were almost non-existent. The breakfast was great with hot scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, plus make-your-own pancakes. They were doing some remodeling of several rooms while we were there, but we didn't hear them and weren't bothered by the work at all.

I always have a nice peaceful stay. Clean rooms, great staff. Always stay at this motel when in this area for business or pleasure. My request for certain rooms are always meet when I call to book my stay. Most the staff remembers who I am since I stay there often.

Daughter booked me suite and I was very impressed. Room was immaculate. Bed very comfortable. Quiet. Breakfast was great. Even though construction going on quiet. Front desk personnel very helpful. Have booked for a visit in May. Would recommend

I have stayed at this hotel many times...both with a pre-registration, and also with a just-stop-by stay. In each case, wonderful rooms, great service from the desk, and a great breakfast provided. There also is a restaurant just across the drive. I recommend a room on the ground floor south side. The view from these rooms is wonderful. Best view in the area! Do plan a stay at this property. I have returned again and again,

Very good stay. Very Friendly and helpful staff. Be sure you eat at the Winery which is part of the Country Kitchen. Very quaint with nice fireplace and wonderful food. Country Kitchen food was great also. We had the King Jacuzzi Suite which was wonderful. i would recommend this type of room to everyone. Good working are separate from the sleeping area. Microwave and fridge. Will definitely stay at Best Western again.

Hotel was undergoing some renovations during our visit. People were friendly. Rooms were comfortable enough but seemed of subpar quality. It seemed overly loud when walking around, etc. Breakfast was below average but at least it was free. Overall, met my needs for a 1 night business stay but I wouldn't be thrilled to stay there for a longer trip.

We stayed here 1 night. The hotel was very clean and the bed was VERY comfortable. Traci at the front desk very personable and professional. The hotel was renovating the lobby area but even though there was major construction occurring the lobby area was very clean and neat.

Room 111. The staff at the hotel were nice. The breakfast was the usual fare. The room was the standard room, but the noise was extreme. I travel for a living and the rooms were not well insulated, causing the worst noise I have heard in any room in the last 500 hotel stays. The internet was too slow to use. Children running down the hall, the people simply walking by the room, and the guy who checked in at 1:23 a.m. and tromped around for an hour in the room above me, made for very poor sleep. I got an hour of deep sleep in the 9 hours I tried. The heater turned on and off, loudly clicking and popping before, during, and after operation. This woke me up when the other sounds were not waking me. The fan blows over the bed, so be ready for dry nose, skin, and throat. The shower was exciting the next morning. The water at this facility is softened, so when I stepped into the shower and put the soap on, my feet slid out from under me. I grabbed the safety bar, but injured my ankle anyway. I am a professional ballet dancer, so I am perfectly balanced on my feet. I don't need or want a bruised-up ankle on tour, so I will never stay here again. The tub is NOT textured and feels as slick as hot buttered glass. I could not shampoo my hair because of the slickness. This lack of texture is an easily corrected safety hazard and should be fixed promptly! This was a miserable stay and I wish I could say better things because the staff was nice.

A group of us recently stayed here and we all had a good experience. Rooms were clean and in good working order. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of hot water. The hotel is undergoing some renovations and we did stay in recently renovated rooms. Breakfast selections were good and coffee hot and plentiful.

I was recently in Chadron for meetings at the local college, and really enjoyed my stay. I had requested a quiet room and they found me a 2nd floor (which is the top floor) room in a quiet corner and I heard very little noise. The staff was really friendly, and I thoroughly enjoyed my comfy and cozy stay in Chadron.

Checked in and was greeted with a big smile and the lobby as well as the swimming pool and rooms were very clean. This hotel was a super bargin and everything appears to be new. Went across the parking lot and had a rib eye and shrimp to the winery and had a good meal. This is where you want to stay if you one to Chadron awesome value.

Very good place to stay. Wonderful staff and easy location. I will always keep it in mind when I'm traveling. I love the place to eat right next door. They had friendly staff too and excellent food. I also like it has other places close by to shop and get necessities

We stayed at the Best Western West Hills Inn on the 6th night of a 10-night road trip, right before running our 5th half marathon in 5 days. So I decided we needed a bit of moderately-priced luxury and booked the king suite with jetted tub. The room was super quiet -- it had what felt like a private entrance, though wasn't really. We had a huge living room with kitchenette, a big flat-screen tv, and a comfy couch that might have been a fold-out sofa bed (but we didn't check). Then a big bathroom with large jetted tub -- ahhhh -- and a large bedroom with a king bed, another flat-screen tv, and some nice-looking furniture. Everything felt very new and very sturdy, not like cheap hotel furniture. Oh, and the bed was comfortable (firm mattress the way I like it), and had really nice sheets. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast had plenty of choices -- even for vegetarians. Located just outside of "downtown Chadron", the area was quiet.

We have stayed in other motels in the Chadron area. The first time we stayed at the Best Western we were sold. The quality of our stay was far beyond the others in the area and the price was only around 10 dollars more, which was well worth it.

Traveling through and stopped at first hotel. Outside seems alright but room even though large was very dated. On second floor and floor creaked in a lot of places and even though there was one fire alarm there was no sprinker heads on the ceiling. The top dead bolt does not work and asked was told they had been disabled several years ago so just thumb lock and top latch. Needs a major upgrade.

Tracy was such a big help when we showed up 1 day early for a wedding, she was able to accommodate us. The rooms are beautiful and the continental breakfast was more than enough. If we ever have another opportunity to visit this part of Nebraska, we will stay at this property.

I had a good stay at this hotel, and was glad I could get an affordable room with no reservation. The climate control was great, the TV was great, the bed was firm with crisp sheets, and the shower and towels were all fine. The breakfast was very good, too; I could get used to those waffles. Unfortunately, I was given a room designed for people with mobility issues, and some of these modifications, ironically, made the bathroom difficult to use. My room was right around the corner from the front desk, so I ended up using the public restroom. This was fine, but had I known, I may have selected a different room. Still a fine stay.

We have had the opportunity to stay in the BW West Hills Inn in Chadron twice in the last 3 years, we have always found the property to be clean and well appointed in the guest rooms. They serve a nice breakfast each morning. Staff is welcoming and helpful with information about the area. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub for a relaxing swim and soak before bed, We will be staying here again when traveling in the area.

We had a ground floor room and was able to park our motorcycle right outside our door. The neat thing about this room is that it had 2 doors so we did not have to go outside to access the lobby, ice machine and pool/hot tub. The room was clean and comfortable. It had a refrigerator and guest laundry, which was great for us. The restaurant in front of the hotel was ok and is not affiliated with the hotel. The pool and hot tub were great and was a welcome treat after a long ride.

This looked to be the best option of where to stay in Chadron and was recommended by friends. The room overall was very clean, however the motel needs to be updated as there are lots of carpet stains. The bed was so, so and sort of had like 'bummers' on the side like in a rest home so you don't fall out. It was not the most comfortable bed. All in all it was a clean room, the bathroom was clean and a spacious room and met our need for the 2 nights we were there. There is a restaurant right next door with good food and that was very handy.
