    « Quiet and Clean »

Clean quiet and relaxing. A bit hard to find due the GPS stopping you 200 yards before the entrance. Close to central Berkley springs which made getting into for food or an ice cream very easy. I would recommend this to anyone planning a visit

« Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice setting »

We stayed here for a night while traveling between Michigan and northern Virginia. The staff at the desk was friendly, the room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the breakfast had a good variety of choices. We found the little town of Berkeley Springs interesting, so we are planning on returning to spend a few days visiting the area. We will stay in the BW again.

    « Relaxing getaway »

My husband and I went to Berkeley Springs for a relaxing weekend getaway and stayed at the Best Western. The room was very nice with a comfortable bed. We opted for a spa room with a soaking tub. It was very clean and added that extra relaxing touch that we desired. The breakfast offered plenty of selections of hot and cold food and many drink choices. We would definitely stay here again!

« Great place to stay »

The staff was great and very helpful. They were also happy people and clean. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, as were the towels & bedding. The restaurant across the parking lot had great food, great service, and a great selection to choose from. We didn't get to use the pool because we were not there during the normal season that it's open, but it looked like a nice sized pool.

« Good as it gets in Berkeley Springs »

Nice place if you are staying in Berkeley Springs. Room and furnishing showing some age but clean. Complimentary breakfast is very good with lots of selections both hot and cold. Staff is friendly, efficient, and worked with us over uncertain checkout times due to family situation at local nursing home. Nearby restaurant is walkable.

    « Great Staff »

I was only in for a night. It was a break on a long drive. As far as the hotel itself, it was what you expect from a Best Western, clean and comfortable. The reason I wanted to post a review was the staff. Dolores checked me in. She was efficient and actually entertaining. Don't remember having that much fun checking into a hotel. Heading out that evening she was full of recommendations. When I returned, we hand another great conversation, really an interesting person. Makes such a difference when you're in the middle of long drives. Check out was someone else who was also efficient and friendly. Appreciate the smiles and warmth more than you know.

« Great area to visit, nice people and a variety if activities available. »

The hotel is conveniently located, reasonably priced and has a decent, free breakfast. The staff are always professional and polite. There are many activities and places to eat and shop nearby the hotel.

    « Great place! »

No complaints. Room was spacious. Everything was clean. The beds were clean and spot free. There is coffee in the lobby and free high fiber optic WiFi available for anyone that gets a room. Definitely a good place to stay.

    « Very nice stay »

Friendly staff. Very nice room. Quiet during our stay although there weren't many people staying there. Offered a full breakfast but disappointed in quality.vit was nice to have a restaurant within walking distance after a long day on the road.

    « Just for a night »

Clean, comfortable room. We had a family room that was really nice. One bigger bed and two twin beds in another room. No door between the rooms however, just an arch way. Shower was decent. Breakfast was your normal hotel fair but good. Overall, great place to stay.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

Newer hotel, quiet setting. Exceptionally friendly staff, clean oversized rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Was close to shopping and nursing home, the reason for my visit. I would recommend this hotel and stay there again.

« Dolores at the front desk was great! »

The room we initially booked was too small for us to maneuver around our son's pack-n-play, but Dolores at the front desk got us set up in a new room within minutes. She was friendly and helpful, and even hooked us up with some extra blankets on a cold night! When you've had a long day of driving, you want the desk clerk to be a warm and genuine person, and Dolores definitely fit the bill.

    « Clean & convenient »

Traveling back north after vacationing in the south, we were looking for a mid-point hotel between NC and NY. By staying in Berkeley Springs we missed the congestion of traffic around Winchester and had a darling little village to explore in the morning before continuing our journey. Hotel is a little difficult to see from the street coming in at night-you see the big overhead sign, but you have to look for the actual entrance road and then go up a short hill and turn right. Lighting the side of the hotel and adding a second large sign on the side of the building you first see while driving up the road would improve visibility. The hotel has very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms are very clean. There is no elevator, so we requested a first floor so we didn't have to deal with luggage-and noise was not a problem. There is a nice family style restaurant within steps of the parking lot. We had a problem with TV reception, staff was their to fix the problem immediately-great service.

« Decent Hotel for the Price »

Always stay at this hotel on our way to visit family. The price is low, rooms clean, and there is a restaurant is across the parking lot. There are a few cats living in the parking lot (they were dumped there) and kids enjoy tracking them down and feeding them.

    « Back Again »

We've stayed at the Best Western in Berkeley Springs many times since it opened. I don't remember how many years ago that was. At least once a year we try to get to go to the spa and visit some of the local merchants and restaurants. We always enjoy our stay and look forward to many more visits in the future.

« Best of the Best! »

Wonderful hotel, great folks, fine food, I can't say enough good things about this hotel! Be sure to eat at the Angus and Ale which was recommended by the desk staff. The hotel was one of the highlights of a 14 day road trip and certainly one of the best spots we stayed!

« Ok if you are not elderly or have any mobility issues »

I specifically asked for downstairs and the person on the phone stated she would make sure I was downstairs since my husband has trouble getting up and down the steps. we were put on the second floor. At breakfast we shared a table with an older couple and another elderly person. They made reservation months before to attend a wedding to make sure they were ground level. When they checked in they were put on the second floor and told the room they wanted was promised to somebody else. while at breakfast I saw a few elderly and another person with mobility issues coming from downstairs. The customers coming out from the second floor were young able bodied who would have not had the issues we and others had using the steps. They either need to respect those who can not use the steps or invest in an elevator. It ruined the relaxing trip that was planned. If we come back to Berkeley springs This will not be my first choice and I will never stay here again with somebody who has issues unless I am guaranteed a first floor. We had to plan to only go out once and when we came back to rest we did not leave a gain. so he did not have to take the chance of falling down the steps. This is how they treat their Diamond Select customers, how do they treat the guest with a lower or no status.

« Good, once you find it »

A bit hard to find as the BW sign at the intersection is neither large nor elevated, easily hidden by a vehicle exiting the street. The hotel is up a hill in what appears to be a residential area. Dolores, at the front desk, was very friendly and welcoming. The room was as expected. There was one instance of a little noise from the people above walking across their floor, but it didn't last. No street or exterior noise. The only negative was the noise from the bathroom fan; sorry if we woke you, neighbours. Next door's bathroom fan was noisy, too. We advised the front desk in the morning and a note was made in their "to-do" book right in front of us. Adequate breakfast served. There's an okay restaurant (Angus & Ale) adjacent to the hotel.

« Good Place To Stay in Berkeley Springs WV »

On our last visit to Berkeley Springs WV in mid-September we stayed at the Best Western, just south of town. It took a minute to find it since it sits up on a hill and the hotel sign is not that easy to find if you don't know to look for a blue and white sign. Well worth it once the GPS found it. The room was spacious and airy but the blackout curtains kept it really dark in the morning. The room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and the variety was good, including scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit and breads and pastries. Of course there was good coffee and a variety of juices. We will be back to stay on our next trip to Berkeley Springs.

    « Great staff.Dated hotel & CATS »

I am a travel agent. I was looking for a place to put a group of motorcyclist as a base camp while they ride the area. I needed to know that this location would have everything my clients would need. my wife and I rode down Friday evening and check in was excellent Delores and another gal were very accommodating. this is not a BW plus and I knew that going there. the free breakfast was very good and dishes were hot. they offer coffee near the front desk 24 hrs which is nice. they offer a place undercover to park your motorcycles and also offer a washing station if you need it. I noticed a few cats roaming about the property and know that they love to find a nice warm spot to lay upon and sure enough they found our bikes seat were perfect for that. we ended up covering the seats with towels and shooing them away often. we were going to sit outside for breakfast one morning but the cats thought we were serving them food and we were almost attacked. (THEY NEED TO GO) WI-FI was non existent the entire time we were there. and the rear door near the bike parking was open 24 hrs not locked. Noticed the swimming pool was green in color and desperately needed water it was below the skimmers & did not use it. the room was ok we had the spa room and after a day of cold riding was enjoyed. If this property would get rid of the cat issues and fix the wi-fi I would send clients there without a issue. fitness room was down the road at a physical therapy office. wife wanted to work out early each morning and didn't open until 7 am.

« A Good Place to Stay in Berkeley Springs »

We recently stayed 5 nights in the Best Western in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. The hotel is an older one but clean and welcoming. Staff at front desk very helpful. Room decor was plain but everything was clean. Beds could definitely use an upgrade-not real comfortable. A good restaurant, Angus & Ale is right across the parking lot and serves adult beverages. Nice outdoor pool and good internet. Up the hill from highway so quiet.

« Only hotel close to where we were going »

This hotel was the closest location to our destination for the weekend. The staff was super friendly, every one that I spoke with was pleasant. The breakfast provided a good variety: waffles, eggs, sausage, bagels, yogurt, etc. Smaller eating area, so don't look to loiter. The beds weren't uncomfortable, but certainly not anything I would lay on without being sleep. I could feel the springs in the mattress in which I slept on, but the four pillows on each bed helped. Nothing at all fancy about this hotel. A couple of eating places near, and gas stations.

    « OUTSTANDING »

Great place to stay if you are on vacation or just wanting to get away for a day or two. Its very comforting & the staff is very polite. We would definitely be going back someday. Tell all friends & family about this place. We really loved it!!

    « Nice Hotel »

Very nice place to stay. The staff was helpful and friendly. The rooms was very clean, and comfortable. The breakfast bar was a plus. The front desk clerk was very helpful and knowledgeable of all my questions. The restaurant that is right across the parking is also a plus, because after a long drive I didn't have to get back in my car and drive to find a place to eat. I will definitely be staying here again.

    « Family reunion »

We had a handicapped room on first floor. We noticed at corner of back drop of sink on floor next to shower that had or is getting wet from shower, and small area of rotting wood/mold? Also would have liked a rail at entrance to shower, maybe above seat. Would have liked a firmer mattress. Otherwise this was/is a great room.

« Unfortunately beds spoiled the stay »

Stayed here 1 week ago. Hotel is a little hard to find but once there were pleasantly surprised by the rural setting. There is also a restaurant next to the hotel which we did not know about. It is on their website but I guess we just did not see it when booking. Looked nice and as there are very few choice for food in Berkley Springs in the evenings don't overlook the option. The hotel staff was friendly and the hotel was older but clean. The problem was with the beds. We stay in a lot of hotels and these were terrible. Felt like the springs were coming thru and every time you rolled over they squeaked and woke you up. They need to replace beds and this hotel would be fine. Clean, nice location, breakfast offered was adequate, price fine.

« Fun in Berkeley Springs »

My cousins bought a bar (The Troubadour Lounge) in Berkeley Springs, so family and friends all came in for the new grand opening. We stayed at the Best Western because the location was great! While it is an older hotel, it was perfect. The staff was extremely warm, friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and the beds were super comfortable! This is not a luxury hotel, but it is just what I would want in a historic, beautiful little town!!! We will definitely stay here again when we come back to Berkeley Springs!!!

    4
« Nice but can be noisy »

nice basic hotel. The entire shower surround was new and the room was very clean. Not all rooms have microwaves. I suggest bring your own pillow. My big thing with hotels is the noise, and on a busy holiday with all rooms full you could hear everything. I even sleep with foam earplugs, but the stomping around upstairs was crazy. The next night, however, all was silent. I also stayed at nearby Cacapon Lodge, (also noisy) and this is nicer. Go to Cacapon for the restaurant.

    2
« Okay if you stay on first floor »

No elevator which made it difficult to get luggage to room. Was told I would have a room on the first floor when I made reservation but that did not happen. Hard to find motel. Had to stop at a restaurant to find out where it was as it could not be seen from the main road. Even the GPS said it was on the opposite side of the road. Best part of the stay was the hot breakfast which was great and had a good variety of food to select from.

    5
« So glad we stayed here. »

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and kind. Even though warned, we did have a little trouble finding it. There is a small sign near road level and then a tall sign well above where I look when driving. Breakfast was adequate and we would stay here again if the opportunity presented itself.

« Best Little Secret in Berkeley Springs »

We come every summer to the Best Western Berkeley Springs. We need a first floor room close to the car and are always accommodated. This year we brought our 14 year old grandson and our 9 year old granddaughter. I had asked for first floor suite. When we got there and saw that my grandkids would have to sleep in the same bed, we went to the front desk. With smiles and kind words, they moved us to a two room suite (twin beds for the kids). They were concerned about the nominal increase in price which I assured them was worth it. They reminded us that although the room was at the end of the hall, a door and a parking space was just across the hall.

    5
    « Great overnight »

We have stayed here several times over the last ten years. This time it was our anniversary and it was a stop over on our way south. My husband was impressed by the motorcycle facilities and emailed pictures to his riding buddies. We were in a car this time, but the hotel met all of our needs.

    5
« GREAT PLACE TO STAY »

very nice, friendly staff close to everything. Clean rooms, convenient close to town and activities. Manger and staff helpful and knowledgeable about the area and things to do. Great restaurant in the same parking lot as hotel.

    5
« Very Clean Very friendly staff »

I recently purchased a home in Berkeley Springs WV. The settlement was postponed and your staff help me get through a very difficult time. I thank them for all their kindness. I felt so displaced they made sure I had everything I needed. Even found me a phone charger when mine broke. Found me a room that I would be most comfortable in. Was so nice to my teenage son. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Staff so friendly and courteous. I really want to thank them for making such a rough time for us so much better. Thank you to everyone there. Tina Gamba

    4
    « Great Location »

The hotel was in a great location for all the places we wanted to see. Resturants were in walking distance. The staff was very helpful and nice. Rooms were clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay there again.

    5
    « Exceeded My Expectations »

I was pleasantly surprised during my recent trip to Berkeley Springs this past weekend. When we arrived to the hotel, the girl at the counter was friendly and prompt with checking us in. Our room was on the first floor and was clean, smelled nice, and had a private view of the hotel's back yard. The bed itself was a bit stiff, which is not my taste but my boyfriend loved it, and I found the pillows to be PERFECT (soft, not stiff whatsoever). The room itself had a flat screen TV, coffee maker, and a college-style fridge. The free breakfast was good and contained a variety of hot and cold options. We slept well and did not have to deal with any interruptions from noisy neighbors or talking in the hallway. Overall, it was a great one night's stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying a few days in Berkeley Springs.

    5
« Stop at Berkeley Springs »

Great hotel location and always enjoy stopping at this hotel. The employees especially Dolores greets us warmly and lets us know what is going on if interest locally. The rooms, beds and amenities are always fresh and up to date. Highly recommend this hotel.

    5
    « Awesome! »

This hotel was great! Helpful staff, clean and smelled good! The breakfast was good, and the bed was awesome! We had a Jacuzzi in our room and it was amazing! Will definitely stay there again! I am a clean freak, so I do check everywhere for hair and etc. I found nothing in our room! I was ecstatic! Kudos to the cleaning staff for such an excellent job!

    3
« Customer Service and Hotel Stay »

Good location with pleasing views of surrounding area and an excellent restaurant located just across the parking lot. This hotel is located just outside of town. Our air conditioning unit fan was loud. We had a double queen bedroom and had to switch beds because one mattress was uncomfortable.

    4
    « Good value »

The good was the price for the level of accommodations. Appreciated the helpful attendants at the front desk and willingness to have us check out 45 mins late. Pool was nice and generally clean. The BIG drawback of our stay was that the free wireless was not working the entire stay. A slightly less drawback was that there wasn't enough places to sit for breakfast.

    « 3rd Great Stay »

This was our 3rd stay for a stop over night on our way from Pittsburgh to Outer Banks. We will continue to stay each year, The staff is friendly and the place clean and welcoming. Its the only place we have stayed in Berkeley. My 14 year old son loves it much more than Great Wolf waterpark lodge in Williamsburg we hit after this for little sister. He has always liked things calm & laid back! Positives * Use AAA/AARP to save 10% (I think) * Biker friendly (wash station) * Restaurant on-site (we have never eaten there, my kids like to walk down to DQ) * Health Facility next door you may use for $4 a day * Outdoor swimming pool (no hot tub) * Free Continental Breakfast * Nice staff * Computer in lobby * Price is good ...$94 after AAA/ taxes added in * Queen Beds * In general has always been a quiet hotel stay for us..attracts lots of seniors (fine by me) Negatives * Didnt bother us but 2 story, no elevator * would like a hot tub, too * Rooms clean but out-dated * Showers don't drain well (ours didn't last year either) In closing, great stop, wouldn't stay more than 2 nights as there isn't much to do or a lot of restaurants, but its a great stop-over place. Maybe check your shower first in case you need room change for shower.

    « Perfect »

What can I say...the hotel was clean...the room and building was well maintained and the staff was friendly! I glanced at the breakfast and it seemed typical for a hotel breakfast! They quickly accommodated us with a ground floor room as soon as we told them that we were out riding our bikes and would be carting bikes into the room. No problem!!! A perfect visit!!!

« Best Western made our stay enjoyable »

Kudos to the management and staff at the new Best Western in Berkeley Springs. We just had our family vacation there and the BW team went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They put out an awesome breakfast daily and make sure your room has all toiletries, towels etc each day.

    4
« Helpful staff, quality hotel »

Great staff, very helpful and friendly. Rooms were very nice and the location convenient to the downtown area. Breakfast was good, reasonable hours to eat. overall really good experience, I'd definitely return there

    5
    « Comfortable, nice stay »

Positives:Great stay. Very clean rooms and great breakfast. Loved your waffels. Very professional staff and very helpful. Negative: Location not signed very well. Drove past entrance twice before seeing a small BW sign. (even with gps) Facility starting to show wear and tear, but the quality of housekeeping was excellant.

    5
    « Motel Stay »

This is a very nice motel in a quiet small community. The room was neat, clean, and comfortable. The internet connection was outstanding. The breakfast of eggs, sausage was fresh and hot, and complete.

    4
    « girls getaway »

This was an inexpensive, clean hotel for a girls weekend. The rooms were comfortable and the breakfast was nice. One thing to note was that the signage to the property is small and easily missed and we drove past it several times before figuring out where the property was. The restaurant next door, "Angus and Ale" was excellent!

    5
« Nice find for an overnight on the road »

The front desk staff is helpful and kind. The room was very comfortable. The location is fine - not right in town, but not far at all - an easy drive up the main route. There is an antiques/estate sale store across the road for browsing and reasonable prices, and there is a discount at the gym that is in walking distance from the hotel. If you need a place to stay, and are in the area to see George Washington's "Bathtub," I recommend it.

    4
    « comfortable hotel »

This was a nice change of pace after a stressful day. I was welcomed, friendly staff I believe their names were Amanda and Delores. They made me feel welcome and made sure that I would be comfortable, and knew about all the amenities that the hotel offered. . I even had a great night's sleep. I liked the breakfast and quick dip in the pool. I will rebook this hotel again.

    « Always a good experience »

We put on a trail run at nearby Cacapon State Park every year that starts at 7:00 am and many of our runners stay here, as do we. On race morning at 5:00 am I asked Deb at the front desk if there would be any way she could put out some light breakfast food early since the runners would be leaving well before the normal start time for breakfast (also 7:00 am). I heard from the runners later that they found the full breakfast buffet ready to go, waffle machine, biscuits and gravy, the whole deal! Thanks Deb for going above and beyond on short notice!

    3
    « Ok hotel »

Ok hotel, but terrible coffee, both at breakfast as well as the in room coffee maker! The hotel staff was very helpful, and even made a dinner reservation for us. Walls kind of thin, beds were so-so. Pool was nice.

    4
« The BEST of the BASICS »

We've stayed at Best Western Berkeley Springs several times in the last few years. We're always greeted cordially and when we've needed assistance, staff respond quickly. FYI, it's a family hotel, so don't expect quiet, romantic mornings in the breakfast room!

    4
    « Weekend Getaway »

Great quality for the price. Room was very clean and staff was super friendly. We were very pleased with our stay and would recommend to others. The only thing that bothered us was the noise from the hallway and nearby rooms.

    5
    « A very comfortable hotel »

The staff was very friendly and courteous. The room was clean and comfortable. The internet connection was very good. The reception area looked very comfortable. I did not visit the restaurant except for the breakfast buffet which was very tasty. The breakfast had a good variety of items to choose from also.

    3
    « BW of BS »

The room was clean, the service was good, but the rooms are not quiet. Between noisy neighbors (we thought the people in the room over ours were going to come through the ceiling), air conditioner that couldn't get cool enough, and overly plump pillows, could not sleep at all.

    4
    « Good motel »

Reasonable rate. Great staff.Good location. Just on the edge of town and near the beautiful state park. We always choose this motel when staying in Berkeley Springs, West Virginia. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

    5
    « Wedding »

Very clean hotel close to almost everything. The hotel is up on a hill so it was very quite also. I would stay there again in a heart beat. For the price it's good deal. There is a restaurant beside the hotel but there were so many options to eat around them we did not go in that restaurant.

    5
    « Always Positive »

Always have a positive experience at this hotel. Front desk always asks questions to get us the best deal. The rooms are always clean and breakfast decent with many options. Rooms were quiet and clean. If I had to make a complaint it would be that the paint looked a little dated in bathroom.

    5
« over and above to please »

When our A/C became inoperable at 11PM, the gal gave us a larger room, and helped us move everything to the the other room. We had 2 carloads of scrapbooking supplies! She carried a lot of it herself, all the while checking the front desk for any activity. She did try to reset the A/C first. The breakfast area is small, but immaculate, and items fresh. Personnel very pleasant and helpful. Would recommend this hotel in a sweet little town.

  • 5
« Great place to stay! »

The hotel is very clean, smoke free, and all the employees are super friendly. The breakfast is very good, and the restaurant on the property is good, too, so you don't really have to drive anywhere for a bite to eat. We drove by it a few times because you can't see it from the road, but the driveway is right by the DQ and up the hill.

I haven't stayed in a BW for a long time and so I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel. Cleaner and quieter than expected. The hotel was a little hard to find as it is off the main road and my GPS couldn't find it. But the roadside sign helped greatly.

    « Not Great »

The people were friendly enough. But the hotel itself is older. No elevator, just stairs. Had to carry our bags up and down the stairs. The tissue box was empty when we arrived and never replaced. The heating unit went off and on every minute or so all night and kept us awake. The neighbors had a barking dog (in a no pet facility). (Yes, we reported it. Nothing done to my knowledge.) Bathtub not cleaned.

    « Nothing special »

Stayed a night with a dog. The room is outdated, the wall is so thin. We could hear people walking and doing their activities from the room upstairs. Friendly staff. There is an area to wash a car.. it is located between Berkeley Spring park and Cacapon park.

« Great place to stay!!! »

This Inn was clean, comfortable, and very welcoming!! The rooms were nice, the staff was very courteous and professional, and despite their having a wedding/meeting/full house the night I was there everything went very smoothly. They serve a full breakfast which is a nice treat!!

« Very enjoyable stay at Best Western for my son and daughter in laws wedding »

Very well run and friendly and meet all of our needs. The staff were very professional and courteous to all of us and we had about 10 to 12 rooms at the same time. The breakfast served there was just what we needed with taste for all who ate there and plenty to go around.

    « Quiet Spot »

This is a very quiet spot off the highway. Amanda was great at the desk, we had a little problem with our Best Western Rewards card and she handled it with no problems. Room was very clean and so quiet even though we were on the first floor. My only complaint is the sign is a little hard to see from the roadway. Breakfast was great too.

    « Comfortable hotel »

I stayed one night in the process of moving. i had a car accident on my way to have a going-away dinner in Berkeley Springs. My friends called the hotel to see where i was. The manager was very kind, even went to look for me in the popular restaurant attached to the hotel. All worked out well. The room was up to the usual Best Western good standards, but the friendliness was memorable. Only criticism is the difficulty in making a left turn to drive into Berkeley Springs. The hotel is about a mile from the center of this lovely town.

    « Awesome hotel! »

This hotel is great! The staff is always friendly! They go above and beyond for their guests. I have had the pleasure of staying here many times. I have yet to have a bad experience or issue that the staff didn't address right away. My room is always ready and clean!! Special thanks to Dolores for always making guests feel welcome and special!!

    « Good location »

First impression--lobby was inviting. Water, coffee, as well as hot water for tea were available. Desk staff, no matter what time of day, personable and helpful. Breakfast staff along with housekeepers were friendly. The room was comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was good. Internet and cell phone was intermittent. Welcome to West Virginia! My husband and I made good use of the time, though.

    « Very Comfortable »

My girlfriends and I planned a spa day. We were very happy with our accomadations. The staff was super friendly, they let us check in early. We had the family room and that allowed all three of us to have a seperate bed. The room was super clean. The only draw back was the directions to the hotel on my gps was not working properly due to the mountain area. I called the hotel and no one answered. The address was Valley Drive, but you had to turn on Stoneridge Road was not marked properly. So I went to the old fashioned way of finding a place by stopping at the firehouse lol.

« Not as classy as most BW Hotels »

We had no TV, and it wasn't able to be fixed, although lady did try very hard. No compensation was offered for our trouble. The hotel was very noisy, we could hear everything from the people upstairs.

    5
« Very clean, courteous and helpful staff »

The hotel was a little hard to find, but a true gem. There was plenty of parking, The lobby was nicely decorated, and the young lady who checked us in was helpful and knowledgeable about the area. Our room was immaculate, especially the bathroom. The bed and pillows were comfy and very nice. We just had a little issue with the air conditioning unit - the fan kept shutting off and wasn't as cool as I would have liked. But the weather was cool so it wasn't enough of an issue to change rooms or complain about it.

    « Couldn't stay the second night »

We went to Berkeley Springs to check it out and were to stay 2 nights. For some unknown reason they had plastic covering the mattresses. So all night all we could feel and hear was the crunching of the plastic on the mattress. It was awful. Not much sleep. Breakfast was ok. Some little kid had spilled a glass of juice all over one of the few tables and the floor and though another guest said she told the lady setting up the breakfast she never cleaned it up. Guess who got orange juice all over her white t shirt and shoes. We checked out. At least they didn't charge us for the 2nd night

« Two Times and Counting! »

We had such an enjoyable time the first time we stayed here and the town of Berkley Springs is charming. This past summer we went back to do it all over again! The staff are more than accommodating. They go above and beyond to ensure you have everything you need and answer all your questions about places in town. The breakfast has a nice variety of items and is well stocked. Our room was clean and quiet with good wifi signal. The outdoor heated pool was a relaxing highlight both visits. I loved having coffee and tea available all day long! I have no doubt we will return again soon to soak in another pleasant stay.

« Very Nice Place to stay! »

A nice surprise! On a recent trip to NC from PA, we decided to drive a couple of hours to avoid inclement weather. Stopped in Berkeley Springs at the Best Western. Nice clean hotel. Evening front desk associate (Dolores) was very friendly. Breakfast was excellent. Really great tasting coffee. The room was very quiet; we did not hear the wind which was wicked that evening. Hotel sign was small with new blue and white logo (BW). Going southbound if you get get to the DQ you just passed the right hand turn.

« Great Service for a Great Value »

We stayed here for a night because we were in town for a half marathon taking place in Hancock, MD. It was a very nice little hotel for a very reasonable rate. The parking lot had plenty of spots, all located fairly close to the entrance. The lobby was small, but our room was located very close. It was quiet and peaceful. The view from our room was green grass and a some visiting robins. The room was pleasantly decorated and was very clean. There was a refrigerator in the room. The beds were comfortable. It was easy to get online and the internet worked fine. The woman working at the front desk was wonderful! She was warm and friendly and talked and joked with us and smiled the entire time. We asked to charge a different credit card than the one holding our reservation and also asked for 2 extra towels and a bar of soap. She made us feel like it was her pleasure to do that for us, and went above by also giving us a couple extra bottles of shampoo. She was also working when I got home and thought that I had left a set of keys in the room. She was very understanding and went out of her way to try to find them for me. I found them at home, and called her back to let her know, and apologized for making her do the extra work. She was wonderful and was just glad that I had found them. There is a continental breakfast at 7am, but we did not partake because we had to leave earlier for the race. There is also a restaurant located literally right in the parking lot. Again, we did not eat there because of the timing of our arrival, but these are both very convenient amenities if you looking for food. I normally stay at Hilton or Marriott properties when I travel, but none were available in this area. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and friendly atmosphere of this place, and would recommend it to friends.

« GREAT place to stay for a road trip! »

This hotel was a great choice for a weekend getaway. The town is a neat place to visit and has a very "homey" feel. The value of this hotel was very good and the service was excellent. Dolores at the front desk was very helpful during check-in; citing all the local places to visit and offering dining suggestions.

« One of the best... »

We travel a lot and stay in places out of the way. We were blessed get to stay in Berkeley Springs last night. A great small town in WV!! The room was very clean, the breakfast was over the top....almond milk, juices and many other things Over all, it was a very restful stay. Amanda and Delores were very courteous and kind. The staff we encountered were all very friendly....something you don't find in the city much.

« Clean, bright comfortable room; friendly staff--enjoyed my stay! »

Room was clean and attractive; comfortable bed. Friendly staff. Great hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles and sausage gravy. Had a lot of condiments including whipped cream for waffles!! Also had cold cereals, yogurt, fruit, bagels, juices, hot beverages. Was on first floor; no elevator. Could hear TV from next room through wall/adjoining door. Bathroom was great with full tub and shower. All non-smoking so place did not smell bad!! I had asked them to not spray (perfume) my room. Had ironing board and refrigerator. Could have used a few more plug-ins. Location is a little hard to find; no signage from main road. They need a big sign; even the building does not have a sign except for small letters on the door glass. I had to stop and ask where they were located. They are right next to Angus & Ale Restaurant; had a nice lunch there! Enjoyed my stay.

« Excellent reservationist. Very clean, staff extra friendly »

I have to give a great big shout out to Kristy Crisp at Best Western in Greenville NC who helped me book this trip for my wife and I to take my elderly parents to a special family event. Kristy Crisp is awesome and if you need a reservation call her in Greenville at the Best Western. This hotel in West Virginia was very clean, well maintained, friendly staff and easy access. Great views all around the town.

« A good hotel for business or pleasure »

We stay at the Berkeley Springs Best Western all the time. The rooms are clean and relatively quiet (especially on the 2nd floor) and the location is convenient to restaurants and other shops. The service is great. Our number one choice in the area always.

    3
« Decent beds but other issues »

Motel was average; not welcomed in a way that made me feel they were glad to have my business. Lamp in the room had plugs at the base that did not work. Five or six cats running around the parking lot that went around moving vehicles. When we asked about why we were told to feel free to take one home. No concern for the cats or the people in the parking lot.

    3
    « Average place »

We stayed on second floor in a family room with 3 beds. Room was clean enough, but had an odor to it. Quiet. Breakfast was okay, except the coffee machine was broken. I had orange juice instead. There were about 8 friendly cats in the parking lot to greet us when we departed. We arrived at night and drove past it once. The sign out along the road is down low - a little hard to see. We were looking for a large sign!

« Comfortable hotel, friendly, helpful staff, good coffee »

We chose this hotel as a decent hotel on a slightly more than halfway point to Richmond, VA. My traveling partner found it and was intrigued by the history of the Berkeley Springs (which we did visit briefly before we left the next morning). Hotel is a bit hard to find but once there, all was good. Small but nice lobby with a few good souvenirs and coffee available 24 hours. Good breakfast, tasty sausage gravy and biscuits, fill up the coffee mug for the drive out the next day.

    « NASTY STAFF »

First, walls are paper thin. Could hear neightbors many rooms down. Second, the older woman who was running the desk on Sat 10/2/2016 was extremely ignorant and rude. I went to car after midnight so the security card had expired. Therefore, I went to front desk and asked to have it reset but gave the woman the wrong room number. She asked me if I "was dyslexic", I replied "EXCUSE ME!?" So she raised her voice above mine to repeat herself asking I was dyslexic. My first instinct was to put her in her place swiftly. 1 a.m. just was not the time. Its unfortunate since I will be traveling in the area looking to purchase property. I will be staying in another WV town. I did take a corporate comment card and will be mailing directly to them.

Our stay was pleasant! The room was very clean and we had a special "germ friendly": remote control which was a nice touch! The cleaning crew however did start cleaning rooms a little early in the am (8am). Other than that, our stay was pleasant!

« Not up to best western standards »

This hotel was not up to the normal best western standards that i am a custom to. The cabel service was terrible the voice was 20 seconds behind on the picture. The walls were paper thin, the exhaust fan in bathroom was so loud the one in the room next to us was just as loud as you could also hear it. they left it on when they went out for hours. The carpeting and bedding was old. If you are allergic to cats don't go they have many resident cats that hang around out side the door. Parking is limited and with a party at the restaurant next door there were no parking parking spots left for the hotel guest.

    3
« Good for overnight stay »

PROS: Friendly staff, older but very well maintained hotel. Interior hallway which is well lit, good secure entries. Mattress is okay, not great, but not awful, does for a night. Breakfast is typical cold stuff and waffle maker. CONS: Holy crap, don't arrive to this place at night, you can barely find the place. You see the sign and are like...where's the hotel? There's no lights leading to the hotel and it's tucked away down the road and up a hill. However, the big negative are the walls, they're paper thin and you can hear everything.

« Great place to stop »

I recently stayed again at the Best Western in Berkeley Springs. I believe this was about my seventh time staying there. It is in a good location, you just have to search for the entrance. The rooms are always clean and comfortable. The buffet breakfast is a nice addition to have a good meal before getting on the road again. There is an outside heated pool which I have not taken advantage of yet. The front desk staff have always been friendly and efficient in checking me in at whatever time I have showed up. The Best Western is always my first choice to stop at when I've travelling farther south from home!

    « Excellent and Reliable »

The Berkeley Springs Best Western is well-run and comfortable. We feel like it's our home away from home. The bedding is very clean and fresh. The room is spacious enough for 2 nights plus. The internet works and the cable tv offerings are extensive. The staff is very friendly, the breakfast is good and there is always hot coffee. I recommend this hotel hands down to anyone who asks.

« Nice stop for travelers »

Upon driving up to property we were impressed with the rustic appeal of the location in WVA. Rooms were ok, nothing special, clean and simple decor. Outdoor heated pool was ok except rules of no food or drink seemed silly since it appeared to be a gathering spot for families. Also attached is a room they rent for parties but that didn't impede parking of hotel guests. While breakfast was included we didn't take advantage. Cute town around the area. Was perfect for a one night stay.

    4
« Best Hotel in the Area! »

« Nice room but dirty bathroom »

I've stayed here several times before and always had a good experience. On this trip though my husband went to use the toilet and lifted the seat and there were poop splatters under the seat. I also found a dirty toothpick on the bathroom floor. Gross.

« Comfortable for overnight on road trip »

Decent place for a road trip. Nothing special, but clean, well lit, firm beds, lots of hot water, decent wi-fi, working fridge, microwave in breakfast area that is available throughout the day (and with tables to eat at), helpful staff, close to good supermarket -- actually, for a road trip motel to hit all those points does make it a bit special. Not dirt cheap, but full value for money. Didn't try the pool, but willing to believe that it would have been refreshing

« Nice place to stay »

Quick stay at Best Western in Berkeley Springs, WV. Considered the price a little high for my quick stay, but my friend already had reservations. Joined Best Western Rewards program for a discount. A bit hard to find the driveway from my GPS. Nice building. Room was comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Actually had too many pillows, but more is better! Toilet ran, but fixed it. Good shower. Definitely would stay again.

    « Go-to spot in Berkeley Springs »

Inexpensive with a decent restaurant right in the parking lot :) Seems a little strange that the pool is behind the restaurant, but I guess it works. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Spotted a raccoon taking a walk next to the parking lot.

« Helpful Staff, Nice Accomodations »

Was helped greatly by Dolores at the front desk after a long and stressful day of driving and encounters. I was a late arrival without a reservation, and Dolores got me settled in a nicely-appointed and clean room while at the same time the hotel appeared very full. Breakfast was nice and staff was very pleasant. I gave a great review because I travel a lot and don't usually have a reservation due to many circumstances. I have often thought I chose a good hotel, based on reviews and name and appearance but have had the room and other accomodations to be greatly lacking. This time the choice was rewarded with a good night's sleep in a clean and well-functioning room :-)

« Friendly staff great breakfast however rooms reek of unclean animal odors. »

Feel so bad about having to write this review as Delores at front desk is so kind and friendly and the hotel visually appealing from the outside and with a clean pool and nice breakfast in the morning. However I need to mention the room and hallways during my stay with my wife. The overwhelming odor of animal dander and moldy stench was completely overwhelming when we entered our room, which we had changed as the first room had the same reek. The rugs are so old and worn and I have since found out the hotel is pet friendly (meaning their is bound to be animal accidents on the rugs and floors and hallways) so unless you tear up the rug or steam clean a moldy unclean stench of reeking foul animal odor is what you will get when you stay there. This is not a mild smell and actually attached to our clothes, and we were so disgusted we left after one night and cancelled our second nights stay. Thank God we are not allergic to animal dander because I am sure if someone is allergic it may hinder their breathing and they may have a unhealthy reaction to the stench emitted from the rugs floors and hallways at this hotel. If this was repaired I would give this place 5 stars. However the odor was unvelievable, I cannot fathom how anyone who works there does not know this and any owner could ignore this. Also our room had a nest of yellow jackets hornets directly out side our window, that couldn't get in as our windows were sealed but again as I mention the stench and odor I may have risked hornet attack then to breathe that foul air and odor. Sorry guys I wanted so much to love your hotel as the other 3 best westerns we stayed at were all u like this one being clean and comfortable. Please fix this disgusting condition cause I am sure no one stays more then a night after enduring the first and feels as played as I do having stayed there.

Our 2nd stay as we pass through to the Outer Banks on annual family vacation. 2 adults, 2 kids. This is a great stop to break up a long drive. Positives * Clean * Friendly staff * Outdoor Pool (no hot tub) * Free Breakfast * Free computer/printer in lobby * Very good wi-fi Things to note: 2 story, no elevator, if you have mobility issues request bottom floor room Pet friendly (not something I like but we had no issues) On-site restuarant, we didnt use but there is Dairy Queen within walking distance NO gym but you may use the health center next door for $4, great facility Breakfast area very small but your room has a table so you can take it there Mcdonalds/Food Lion grocery store/Sheets gas right down the road Suggestions Carpets in room need upgrading Some Towels need to be tossed, many had noticeable stains Breakfast area needs someone constantly servicing, trash bins full so we had to leave dirty plates on table Room 118, Sink/tub drains draining a bit slow and toilet seat a bit wobble, needs changed out Overall, great stay and we will return

    « Not great! »

We arrived late, and when we checked our bed for bedbugs (which we always do), we found a dead beetle on the mattress. When we brought it down to the front desk, we were told that stink bugs had been used to kill off the ladybug infestation they had, and this was a stray! No offer for any deduction of room change.

Since we travel with a pet, our overnight options are limited. It's good to stay at a pet friendly hotel like this one. They even have a heated pool, a wash-off area. and a nice restaurant. Their breakfast was healthy and enjoyable plus the location is convenient for visiting this historic town.

We stayed overnight in the family suite. A king bed for us and two single beds for our children. The hotel was up to date and very clean. « Nice hotel for traveling through »

We have stayed at this Best Western at least once a year for the last 6-7 years when visiting for a annual family picnic. The hotel and room are always clean and staff is very friendly. Includes expanded continental breakfast which is great before hitting the road in the morning. There is an outdoor pool just outside the front door across the parking lot. Free Wifi and parking. This is the only chain hotel in the area. We will continue to stay here annually.

    4
« Nice for the price »

The hotel is about 5 minutes outside of Berkeley Springs. There is an almost hidden entrance but my GPS got me here with no problems. It is clean and quiet with decent amenities. Breakfast every morning, heated pool and there is a restaurant (Angus and Ale) that shares the parking lot. There are also other places to eat on the road as you approach the longish driveway to the hotel. There are no elevators. It was not a problem for me but I did overhear an elderly guest who would have preferred to not walk the approximately 15 (split) stairs. The front desk staff were pleasant. As you exit the hotels driveway, a left turn takes you to Berkeley Springs. A right turn and 10 minute drive takes you to Capacon State Park. I learned that there is a fee to enter the beach side. Kayak rental is a short drive from the beach and costs $10 for 1 hour, $5 for half.

    « Not A Good Visit »

We stopped at this hotel because it was one of the only chain names that we recognized in Berkeley Springs. They were sold out for the night and the one guy cleaning rooms on our floor didn't finish cleaning rooms until almost 7. We also failed to see or hear a vacuum at any point during that cleaning which might explain the food crumbs on the floor in our room. Also, women's hair found in bed, on sink, and a note that appeared on the mirror while in the shower written in the condensation some days before on the mirror that said "I love you" which means the mirror was not cleaned ir cleaned well in who knows how long. The beds were very old, springy, stiff, and lunmpy. The toilet was one of those almost completely circle seats, which I hate, vice the elongated ones. Lots of disappointment. The hotel was in a safe area with a nice restaurant in tbe same parking lot though. Not all bad.

    5
« A nice way to end the trip »

This was the 5th hotel on our journey. It was the most comfortable room wise as far as a/c unit. The room was large, bed comfortable. It is off the highway, so traffic is minimal. Breakfast was plentiful. Small breakfast room but the outdoor seating was nice in the morning. Enjoyed the outdoor pool. Only drawback I can mention is that the room did not have a microwave.

    5

    « Great Value »

The room was nice, very clean and the people were friendly. The continental breakfast was great! Above and beyond what you get at most hotels. They could have used a bigger staff though. We had to wait in line at the front desk to ask for towels that night for at least ten minutes. Also, in the morning, the girl running the front desk was also in charge of the breakfast station. She was running around like crazy. I felt bad for her. She was trying to check people out, change trashcans, fill up the maple syrup, etc.

« Clean hotel with excellent customer service »

My sister and I stayed for two nights. Upon our arrival, we found that the AC was not working properly in our room. We called the front desk, and within a minute or two, a kind gentleman came up to look at the unit. Within less than 10 minutes, he found another room for us...and problem solved! We were extremely happy with his prompt service. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was okay. I would definitely stay here again.

    « A Hidden Gem »

Keep your eye out for the Best Western Sign so you can make the turn on Southridge Road or you may miss the turn. The motel is not visible from the road. There are small arrow signs directing you up the hill. We decided to stay in a motel rather than bunking with family on this visit to the area. The motel has all the amenities that you would expect in a higher priced chain: four pillows, flat screen TV, granite counters in the BR, coffee pot, curved shower rod, wireless internet. We stayed two nights. I was pleased to see that the wi-fi connection stayed over the two days. I did not have to login every time I wanted to use it. The breakfast included protein, scrambled eggs and sausage gravy which was nice in addition to the usual breads, muffins, bagels, waffle maker, juice, and cereals. The bathroom sink stopper was not attached to the lift rod, so when I closed the stopper, I could not open it. It was fixed shortly after I reported it.

« Nice folks but the rooms need work »

I see many positive reviews of this hotel. Maybe my room was unique, but I doubt it. First off, the folks are very nice. They have a motorcycle wash and parking area which is a cool amenity. My room was an odd contrast of clean, well maintained bathroom and relatively tidy room offset by stained and dingy carpet and furnishings. The chairs had been spot cleaned and looked awful...time to toss those. For almost $100 a night, I will look elsewhere next time I'm in the area. This is an obviously re-worked older facility that has a lot going for it but needs more work.

    « Noisy »

There are not too many hotels in Berkeley Springs so you are limited. If noise does not bother you then this is your hotel. We had a room on the first floor and about 4:00 am in the room above there was noise and squeaking of floors. Definitely did not have a relaxing sleep.

    « Pet Friendly wish I knew »

When we made our reservations the hotel said they were not pet friendly, when we checked in they now are, this would have saved us a lot of money for this trip. The hotel was nice and the staff friendly however you could hear the people next door and on the upper level.

    « Great Choice »

Passing through Berkeley Springs, WV on our way home from PA, we decided to stay the night and head back in the morning. We checked Trip Advisor and found a great rate and good reviews for this hotel and decided to place a reservation using the Trip Advisor app. Everything worked out great. The hotel sits back off the road and is a little hard to see at night. There is a little sign near the road that shows you where to turn and the GPS was working. You turn into a little service type road that takes you to the top of the hill where the hotel is located. Our host, Dolores was charming and delightful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Breakfast is included and consists of Belgian waffles, biscuits, sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, and sausage as well as pastries, yogurt, and bagels. Coffee is available 24/7 in the lobby. We would definitely stay here again while in Berkeley Springs.

    « Great Little Getaway »

The Town of Berkeley Springs is fascinating. Off the beaten track, a little eccentric, interesting history, and wonderful people. Everyone we passed stopped to speak to us - people rich in knowledge about homeopathy. The Cacapon State Park is absolutely beautiful and our next trip.

    « clean, great experience »

This hotel has very friendly accommodating staff. The maid service staff was very friendly and looked professional. They allowed me to check in a little early since they had a room available. The breakfast was a hot breakfast and good. I would change the start time to 6 am during the week. The rooms are big and the beds are comfy. We had 6 rooms for our team and all were very good.

    « Excellent Hotel »

We always stay at the hotel when in Berkeley Springs. Rooms are always clean, and beds are very comfortable. The on property restaurant is really great - food (especially the steak) are truly excellent.

« Terrific Staff, very nice hotel »

Upon check in, Delores was very helpful in providing names of places in the area to dine including the on site restaurant. After dinner we had a great time chatting with her about our experiences on our trip. Our room was clean and comfortable, we would not hesitate to stay here again.

« Know your job or leave »

We have stayed at this hotel many times and most of the staff is very good however we encountered one staff member that was informed the internet was not operating and did not put out the effort to resolve the problem or even inform guests that the problem could or could not be resolved. Many guests need the internet to communicate with family or business. I guess this staff member had many more important tasks to perform or just did not have a clue how to resolve this issue. I suggest you train this staff member on how to resolve this issue when it arises so she can get back to the more important tasks she needs to perform when internet goes out and the guests can't communicate to their family or business associates and this staff member could care less.

    « Enjoyable hotel »

We enjoy the Best Western and really like the renovations and breakfast. The hotel staff are excellent. We needed to change our bed choices and they were able to accommodate the change in minutes. The new breakfast is very wide in the offering and very convenient.

« Great time and friendly people »

My husband and I went to Berkeley Springs for a baby shower and what a great time we had. Hotel was next to the shower and the food was great there. The breakfast at the hotel was awesome and very nice friendly people at the front desk. The place was very clean and the pillows were wonderful!!!

« Great value, pleasant experience »

This Best Western is by far the nicest Best Western I've ever stayed in. The beds were very comfortable, comparable to a Hampton Inn or other better hotel chain. The staff were warm, friendly and helpful in recommending places in the area. The complimentary breakfast was a hot breakfast with all the quality items you would expect. The hotel was clean and well maintained. I have stayed here twice in 2016 and will stay again. Good value

« Dated property, be prepared »

The property needs a remodel. The bathroom door and walls have been repaied several times, the WiFi did not work, the towels smelled burnt and were rough, they missed my wake up call, no AC near the workspace, I saved money by staying here, but at a price. If you need a room in Berkeley Springs, be prepared for a just-barely acceptable experience.

« Comfortable stop on the way to Grandmas »

Hotel is always comfortable and safe. Restaurant next door is very convenient. Would recommend staying on the 2nd floor to avoid hearing people above you. There is no elevator - so pack light! Free breakfast is a plus.

« Impromptu visit to Berkeley Springs »

On the spur of the moment we decided to visit the Springs with our dog. We didn't know the area, and the folks at the Cacapon State Park recommended the Best Western. While not in the town of Berkeley Springs, we clocked it at 9 minutes outside of town. Place was clean, staff friendly. DELORIS at the front desk was delightful!

« Typical Best Western...Forget the Hot Tub Experience »

Booked this location because we wanted a hot tub in our room. The good points...tub was filled when we entered the room and the tub was clean. The bad points...only one set of jets functioned. No temperature control. You cannot drain the tub on your own. The tub is literally feet from the bed so the whole room feels like a sauna after you use the tub. Tub motor is noisy so unless you plop the cover back on after use, be prepared for a constant motor noise. Luxury hotel and romantic setting, this hotel is not. Reminded us of a truck stop location. Staff was super friendly. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room was clean. Breakfast area rather small and typical BW crap breakfast which we have come to despise the older we get. TV was great with a relatively good selection of channels. As BW Rewards members with BW as our go to hotel, this place ranks in the average category. We have had worse, and we have had far better. For the area, this place appears to be very welcome respite compared to the other "stuff" we passed coming in.

    « Quick nice stay »

Room was spacious, clean, tv newer, and breakfast was good- eggs, Belgian waffles, sausage, etc. the hotel was quiet. Decent price & short drive to the state park/spa. I would definitely stay here again should I find myself in the area. The town is quaint and has a few dining options.

    « Very nice »

I gave this a 5 star rating because it's a great hotel for what it is. It's not a luxury resort but the hotel is very clean and comfortable. I stayed here for a weekend and really liked the staff and the rooms were modern and very nice. There is a breakfast included in your stay, and the hotel is in a very convenient location, really enjoyed my stay

    5
    « Clean! »

We had just spent 5 nights at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, One night at a Clarion, and one night at Champions World Resort in Florida. We stayed here to wait out the ice storm that we had been driving through almost the entire day. This place was by far, the cleanest place we stayed in the entire trip. It even out-shined Disney! That's something to be proud of!

    « Good reliable quality »

The Berkeley Springs Best Western has it all figured out. I have stayed at this motel numerous times and can count on it for good service and a clean and comfy room. I only wish the internet speed was faster. Apart from that this is my favorite weekend getaway.

    « Happy »

Wonderful, clean and safe!!! Great staff!!! The restaurant was very good!! I love staying here because of the location and the many places to eat!!! The shop ones in town have lovely gifts for you friends and family!!!! The Country Inn is a wonderful place to have a great dinner and don't forget the pub at the Country Inn great drinks and food. The spa in the park is another great place to have a massage and spa treatment!!!!

    « Great Hotel! »

The staff was soooooo friendly and very helpful! We had a very clean room and were able to get 3 rooms all together which isn't always possible for our bunch. Great breakfast which was included-hot and cold buffet!

« Best Western Exceeded my expectations »

I don't normally stay in a Best Western; some are nice, others so-so. However the one in Berkeley Springs had good ratings and the Inn by the Berkeley Springs State Park was way too expensive. So my granddaughter and I tried it. I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness, comfortable beds and pleasant atmosphere. The free hot breakfast bar also had a satisfactory selection. The staff were warm and friendly. I recommend highly.

    « Pretty Nice »

We booked the whirlpool room for a romantic get away. We could not control the jets and the tub had to be drained and filled by staff ~ Keep this in mind if planning to use the hot tub in room. The breakfast was not great, maybe ok but it was free. Otherwise, the staff was pleasant, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

« Clean, Flesh and Good breakfast! »

Everything was more than expected for the money. No bad smell in the room or in the hallway--Smelling in the room had been the most concern of my trip at most cases. Looks like it was remodeled not a long ago. Also, it was pretty decent breakfast!

    « Very Pleased »

Very clean, excellent staff. Can't beat the value. I would recommend to anyone who wants a clean place to stay with helpful staff. Not a lot of frills but it's not that type of hotel. Close to shopping, about 2-3 miles from tourist shops and the springs.

    « Berkeley Springs, WV »

Very good service, but could not get internet connection. Tried to get assistance from hotel staff, but was unsuccessful to get connection.Tried to use nearby restaurant wifi, but that failed as well. Had a good time time otherwise.

« Friendly, clean, and helpful »

We stayed for a nearby funeral and made last minute reservations. One of our two rooms was dated but both clean and comfy. Breakfast was hot and tasty if limited. Deloris at the front desk was extremely helpful.

« Best Western Berkeley Springs »

Have stayed at this BW before- comfortable stay, friendly helpful staff. The turnoff from the main road is easy to miss though. A nice restaurant next door. Would recommend it if in the Berkeley Springs area

    2
    « Not a Spa Suite »

Whatever they call a Spa Suite is just a regular room with one bed and a hot tab with better/stronger jets turned off permanently. Because the hot tab is always on, the humidity in the room is quite high. But the worst part is that the hot tab turns on automatically like every 15 minutes even at night so we couldn't get a good sleep. There were other issues with the service. There weren't any body lotion although I'd think it's now a standard. The bathrobes were very old and teared up and one didn't even have a belt (how do one wear a bathrobe without a belt?). The refrigerator was set to such a cold that a water bottle we put in overnight froze completely. We paid quite a bit extra to stay in this ?suite? and it was a waste.

« Very welcoming and friendly hotel, but beds uncomfortable. »

We really did have a delightful visit in Berkeley Springs with my brother/sister-in-law staying at the Best Western Berkeley Springs Inn. The view and setting were lovely, the staff very accommodating and friendly and the facilities very clean and up-to-date. My only complaint would be the beds. Probably one of the worst hotel beds I've been in for awhile. Dressed nicely but so hard and although supposed to be a queen, was no more than a full. But everything else was so nice I still recommend the Inn highly - I just encourage the Inn to consider updating their mattresses.

    2
« Decent Rate and Free Breakfast- Needs an Update »

We made reservations to stay here en route from Michigan to Virginia, to visit our children. I was fooled by the Trip Advisor Award on this hotel. I recommend driving by and staying at the newer Marriott Courtyard in Winchester if you want a nicer place to stay. I thought we would be closer to the Springs, but actually a few miles away, and you need to drive there due to busy road. Our room was large, but very old and when I tried to adjust the heating unit, which by the way, is a separate unit, not central, it fell off the wall! Well, that revealed filthy filters...ugh! When I mentioned this at checkout, the response was " oh, I guess we should clean it." Also, although we paid for 3 persons in our room, when it came time to shower, I had to go to desk for enough towels, and there was no recognition of this being kind of inconvenient at 6:45 a.m. I will not stay here again.

« Spent an overnight to visit the spa »

I met friends to go to the spa for an overnight. The room was clean comfortable and the desk staff were extremely friendly and courteous. Free breakfast was quite good. I plan to come back. The restaurant next door (Angus and Ale)was also excellent

« Comfy, Cozy, and Clean »

A well thought out hotel with many comforts. There is a fan and heat lamp in the bathroom, a "clean" TV remote, 4 fluffy pillows on each comfortable bed, no icky comforters, electric outlets at the lamp base on the bedside table for easy phone charging, and a quiet heating system. I really enjoyed my stay here.

« Solid and as expected »

Look, it's not the Ritz Carlton or even a Hampton Inn, and to compare it to a Ritz would be unfair. It's a Best Western. The staff was friendly. The room was clean. It was perfect for our overnight, and we could probably do a couple more nights easily if needed. It's not soundproof, but it's not overly noisy. The appliances worked. The bed had a tiny squeak upon lying down but otherwise was firm, comfortable, and quiet. The HVAC was steady, not intermittently noisy, and comfortable. We've been here three times in our travels through the area and would gladly return. Glad we found the restaurant thirty feet away, too!

« Great bargain for the money!! »

We spent 2 nights here. It was quiet, the King suite we had was huge and updated. Bed was wonderful, mini kitchen great, and nice clean bathroom with great water pressure! Be sure to eat at the Angus and Ale across the parking lot! We thoroughly enjoyed out stay!

    « Most Unpleasant »

Since I travel for business and pleasure a great deal I can say that the Berkeley Springs Best Western has the least professional manager that I have ever personally encountered. At morning check out I showed staff the picture of the LARGE bug in my bathroom. She told me she would have the manager call me. Two days later he did finally respond telling me that the unpleasant problems that I described to him were irritating to him. Also by letting him know that the air conditioner was not working in the room, smoke smells were experienced in a non smoking room, there was a bug on the lobby floor and four weeks of dust, hair and particles under the coffee supplies I was blackmailing him. What was I thinking!!! I should have enjoyed the West Virginia charm more. You all come back now....yah hear.....NOT!

« Ok for one night »

The hotel is Not in a great part of town. It's old and somewhat redone. The staff was nice and friendly. Garbage strewn in parking lot, feral cats, poor signage. I would stay somewhere else next time.

    2
« No Regular Coffee on Sunday Morning »

No elevator, no lids for cups, and no regular coffee on Sunday morning. They ran out but couldn't go to a nearby grocery and buy some. Box springs are old and dirty and the bed spreads look like they are from the 80s.

    « Apple Butter Festival »

We have always stayed at the Berkeley Springs Best Western for the last 14 years that we have attended the Apple Butter Festival. The hotel is fine. Our rooms are always clean and comfortable. The internet was a bit slow, but that is not a big deal. We had adjoining room and one room had a slow draining sink which was annoying, but not major. We did not report it to management because we forgot to. Overall our experience was fine and we have already re-booked for next year.

    4
    « Main Stay »

We attend the Apple Butter Fesitval each year. It is a good location that is just far enough out to miss all of the high volume of people and traffic, but yet close enough to get to everything. We book for the next year when we check out.

    2
« Complimentary earplugs should be a consideration »

People writing other reviews make remarks about the lack of an elevator. This is nothing compared to how easily sound travels through the walls. We were forced to listen to other guests tv's, a party that lasted until after 11 pm, conversations, doors slamming, you name it, we heard it. The only exception was that we did not hear people using their bathrooms. I don't know why this was the case, but you can be sure we would've checked out early. The beds were great, but we didn't get much sleep. The breakfast is very good, but could not make up for how awful the sound problem is. We were on the 2nd floor and had a queen suite near the top of the center stairs.

    4
    « Good night's rest »

The room was clean and arranged in a very appealing fashion. Having a restaurant directly across from the hotel made it even more appealing after a 7-hour drive. The only drawback was the continental breakfast. With it being a weekend, the serving times were fine but the lack of room to accommodate entire traveling groups and families was disappointing. My husband & I went elsewhere for breakfast.

  • 5
    « Excellent facility »

Easy to find. Excellent, friendly service. Breakfast very good. Basic, clean room one would expect. Excellent value compared with experience at another facility that offered too much and charged too much. Felt comfortable and safe.

    4
    « Worth the money »

Hotel wasn't the easiest to find but once we got there everything seemed clean and room smelled fresh. Breakfast wasn't the greatest and neither was the restaurant. But everyone was friendly and our stay was worth the price compared to other places in the area.

    5
    « Best Western...Best Bargain! »

For the past 5 years we have spent some time at the Best Western Inn at Berkeley Springs. The cost, breakfast, location, and pool are wonderful. The restaurant next door is great. We wouldn't stay anywhere else.

    4
    « Restfull night's sleep »

Very well located in country atmosphere. Quiet place to rest after an hectic driving day. Older facilities compensated by excellent staff. Building could use a little refreshing. The location is very nice.
