« Clean, comfortable beds »

This hotel is located right near the pier and wharf. Our room faced the water and even though we looked out to a crane on the pier, it was fine. Our room was very clean, quiet, and private. My husband tried out the hot tub and enjoyed that. Morning breakfast was hot and had good variety- fruit, eggs, yogurt, waffles, etc. On site laundry was a nice surprise!

    « Always great! »

Second time staying at this location. Both times were fantastic! Great staff within walking distance of may places to eat or drink. Be sure to check out the maritime museum down the road. Did I mention hot cookies?!?!?!

« Best Western is consistently the best Hotel Chain »

Every time we stay at a Best Western, we are impressed with the quality of the service and accommodations. Every time we stay somewhere else (usually to save a few bucks) we find ourselves wishing we had spent a little more and stayed at a BW. The BW in Astoria is not located in downtown Astoria, which for us was fine. The accommodations were outstanding, as was the view of the Columbia River from our 3rd floor room. Service was top notch as usual. And their breakfast spread (which is included in your stay) is a grade above most hotels. If you're looking for a quality hotel in Astoria, I would definitely recommend staying here. It has definitely become our go-to hotel chain.

    « Nice Place »

This is a nice place to stay. Finding the entrance was a little bit tricky but not hard to find. From the outside it does look a little bit old but, the rooms, lobby area, and breakfast area are pretty nice. The room was very comfortable, nice TV with HD channels, water pressure good. The only issue I had with my room was that they never vacuum the carpet the whole 2 weeks I was there and even though there was not a whole lot of people staying (3 to 4 cars outside) they always seem to place someone above my room (noises) Breakfast was good if you stay for a day or two, after the fist week eating the same it gets old but, it was always hot and good. The ladies that work making the breakfast were very friendly and helpful, always asking if we had any issues with breakfast and if we liked the breakfast. The people at the front desk very friendly and helpful. Lots of soda and candy machines. The laundry room always clean and affordable.

« Interesting view, great breakfast, small room »

We thoroughly enjoyed our three days in Astoria and especially our view (from the hotel) of the Columbia River shipping activity. The King room was much smaller than our preferred accommodations, but that was offset by the interesting view. Becky remembered to change our reservation from a first floor to a third floor room, when it became available (before we arrived - despite CrabFest being a huge draw that weekend). The breakfast was exceptional and the gals, who assisted, were very engaging. My husband, who is a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy, said the hotel's version was first class. I appreciated the yummy Yami yogurt and fresh fruit every morning. Do not miss the extraordinary metal sculpture, which is behind the desk in the hotel lobby. Created by a local artist. The Wi-Fi requires a new log-in every time a guest returns to the hotel, but the info is easily memorized.

    « Quick getaway »

Nice hotel, surrounding properties not the most photogenic. Astoria has a number of very nice restaurants and the downtown and water front are very walk able. Don't forget to visit the Astoria Column - spectacular view.

« Great Place to Stay »

Well-located, friendly and efficient staff, quiet setting, yummy breakfast and snacks, plus a rewards program that really pays. What's not to like? Three stays this year so far, definitely more in our future.

Great beds, friendly staff, clean room, enjoyed watching the ships go in and out, loved having a 24 hour pool and spa, love the 21 years old after 10 pm. Great food close to motel, along with breweries. Will stay again.

    « Customer Service? What's That? »

So we made a reservation weeks back informing the folks here that we would be coming in with two dogs. We had been there multiple times with our one dog but we just adopted another and really thought it would be a fun trip. We got there and they realize that they hadn't put us in a pet friendly room and fortunately that worked out. We stayed there all day Saturday April, 21st and took them in and out all day long. At 9 pm the second day (April, 22) we were confronted by a very rude woman that informed us that our dog Koda was banned breed because he was a Rottweiler... we pointed out that we'd had him there before and she brushed that aside and said that they had since changed the policy. Our other dog is a pit/boxer mix and is straight up banned. There were a lot of yapping and barking dogs during our stay but none of them were ours. Do you not think that when someone calls and says they have a dog that they wouldn't let you know that some aren't allowed? She mentioned that it was on the bit we signed but come on, it was a busy Saturday, they'd screwed up our reservation and we were just trying to get the dogs into our room so it was hectic and it all we were interested in was getting in our room and then this? Heck, to get to our room we had to walk both dogs past the main desk and we had seen staff all day and now it's an issue? I half expected her to tell us we were being kicked out. In the past we had wifi issues, service issues and once while we had our evil banned dog they had construction that set off the fire alarms and we were now informed that our business is no longer welcome. Fine... ban my dogs and ban me. I'm sure there are other businesses in Astoria that want my money.

« MOM AND DAUGHTER GET AWAY »

The room was clean and tidy when we got there, the view wasn't too bad. There was a lumber yard right behind us, and i found that fascinating to watch the big machines working. There was bay view also. We seen some large ships come into the channel., another fun thing to watch. The only downfall was the pool area seemed to be closed a lot. The sauna was broken, they were waiting for a part to fix it, so I can not blame them on that. Those things happen. The breakfast was AMAZING. I left there full every day. biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, potato wedges, waffles, fruit bowls, yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereal, coffee, juices, milks, and a whole lot of pastries. If you left there hungry... it is your own fault. They have stuff for everyone there...young and old.

    « Exceeded expectations! »

#242 Is awesome. Fireplace, a.c., Jacuzzi hot tub, king bed, nice view, smelled clean! We will be back! Friendly service, and great hot breakfast. Very reasonable price for a clean hotel. Fast check in!

    « Great stay! »

Our stay was perfect. Breakfast was great. The room was clean and well-appointed, and the kids loved the afternoon cookies as well as the pool. I will definitely recommend this to friends in the area.

    5
    « Quik Trip! »

In town for two day with my wife. The location was great. We were both very happy with the staff,Hotel and our room was very nice. Very well kept inside and out! The pool and hot tub was a plus. We are going to stay again :)

« Great staff, Nice hotel »

We really enjoyed our stay here. The rooms were clean, the staff were kind and helpful, the pool was great?my son loved it. The wifi was terrible, which is why I'm giving a 4 out of 5. This affected my ability to get some work done while travelling. My understanding is the hotel is working to remedy this situation, and I'm sure it will be resolved once the new lines are in.

    4
« We keep coming back for a reason »

I think this is my third review of this hotel now. We keep coming back everywhere year. Why? Because it's a great hotel. The rooms are modern and always clean. The pool is a wonderful, relaxing amenity. And, they cater to those of us who fish. We have to be at the docks at 6:30 and we still get to enjoy a hot breakfast every year. I'm grateful to the hard working staff for that.

    5
« Nice and friendly stay »

The hotel is on the waterfront in Astoria super close to downtown Astoria and about a 15 min drive to Seaside. The staff was super friendly and accommodating and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.

    3
« Good Location to Restaurants and waterfront. »

Clean, updated and located on the Columbia River. Close to restaurants and shops. Staff was friendly and helpful. Please check their website to compare rates as they maybe less than other online sites. Rooms were clean and updated, breakfast had a nice selection of items. Our only complaint was the size of the breakfast room and the full capacity hotel.

    4
    « Nice room »

hotel was clean and staff was polite and helpful. Room was what we expected, beds were okay and the kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was again what we had expected, not a very big room so there was some clustering of guests trying to get their food. We would stay here again if we return to Astoria.

    2
« Thin walls, slow internet »

I agree with the other reviews stating the staff are friendly and helpful. However, if you're a light sleeper like me, avoid this place for the thin walls and floors. In my second floor room I could hear people talking in adjacent rooms, as well as the booming steps of people walking in the room above me. I had one night to sleep in on my current trip, and it was completely spoiled by noise. As I'm typing this, someone flushed a toilet next door and it sounded like my room. Additionally the wireless internet was slow on multiple devices and would not stay connected. I ended up using my cell phone as a hotspot. I won't be returning here.

    « Always a pleasant stay »

Just a quick trip from our home to the beach, but it's always nice to stay some place comfortable. The BW Bayfront is certainly that. It's quiet, reasonably priced, and has great customer service. The bed and pillows are top notch and we really enjoyed the king suite with whirlpool tub and fireplace this trime around. You can't beat the river view even when it's rainy and a bit gray. I can't recommend it highly enough.

    4
    « Nice stay ... good people »

Arrived in Astoria in the middle of monsoon winds and rains. We were given a standard king room with a view of the river on one side and the draw bridge on another. The seal in the window looking toward the river was leaking and condensation had formed between the panes. The bridge window had to have the blackout curtain drawn because the parking lot lighting was directly outside. The Amana heat a/c unit was noisy enough to wake us during the night. The bed was good and we had plenty of hot water for showers, etc. Breakfast was standard BW fare and kept fresh by the attendant.

    5
    « Consistant Quality »

A bit easy to miss the turn, but once there you'll be happy. Nicely updated, quiet (though admittedly this was quiet time - mid March). Breakfast well laid out. View a bit disappointing, though with the crane and drydocked boat, was real. The only bad thing was the desk clerk suggested an awkward, dated restaurant.

    5
    « Amazing! »

The room was very clean and updated. The bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were so friendly. Breakfast was great! We were so happy with our stay. This will be our go to hotel in Astoria from now on.

    5
    « Relaxing »

Quiet and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations for dining. A must do when open is the downtown trolley. Relaxing ride and informative on the waterfront. The Silver Salmon grill is a good restaurant and Fultano's pizza is nice. They have a salad bar.

    5
« Great place to stay. Very friendly staff. »

The room was very nice but even better the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond. During breakfast staff checked in that the meal was good and kept everything well stocked. They even removed our finished plates. Front desk staff provided recommendations for the area as well as letting us know about the amenities of the hotel and the rewards program.

    5
« Just like coming home »

Comfy bed, lovely, well thought out furnishings, an indoor pool, free breakfast with many delicious hot and cold options...And, a welcoming and accomodating staff.... Right here, you're ahead of the curve. Add in the lovely, historic, coastal town of Astoria, with several great options for dining, shopping, and recreation in most every direction...and you begin to get the picture that this is an ideal getaway. Best Western Astoria...where you can be in the middle of everything, or get away from it all.

« Beautiful Property, Excellent Service - Highly Reccomend! »

From the minute we arrived until the moment we checked out we experienced exceptional service. Special thank you to Fred! This was our first time traveling with a pet and we (and our puppy) felt so well cared for! The pool and spa facilities were clean and comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! I can't figure out why this isn't a BW Plus?? Thank you Best Western Astoria Bayfront Hotel!

    3
    « location, location, location »

overall a nice enough place, but my request for a room with a view of the bridge/river was ignored. main reason to choose this hotel is it's location right on the mouth of the Columbia River, and under the bridge in Astoria.

« Nice place but not what I reserved »

Place was very nice, breakfast was excellent .bed was to firm for me but maybe good for others. Didn't have the king bed I had reserved. They said they Couldnt give a better rate because I prepaid.???? nice cookies to welcome us when we arrived.

« 3 days here, and still want to come back again! »

Second trip here in 6 months or less. This is now our absolute favourite place to stay in Astoria. The rooms are all good and the views from the top rooms are amazing on good weather days. The staff here are friendly and helpful, the breakfasts are really good and set you up for a great day seeing the sights of the area. A twenty minute drive from here in any direction is all you need to do to find something different to do. We will be back for sure!

    5
    « Nice Stay »

We stayed 1 night recently and we enjoyed it. We arrived during a winter storm with high winds. If you like to experience the storms this hotel is located well on the waterfront to sit in your room and watch from a warm, cozy room. Our room was clean and had everything you need. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good and the eggs were above average. The breakfast room is a bit small and could be crowded during busy times. When we were there was a bit of an off time and so we weren't crowded. I would recommend this hotel and there are many things to see and do around Astoria.

    3
« WiFi problematic; no vegan gluten free breakfast »

It was a good enough stay. The wifi signal was fine. But the captive portal for sign in seemed to time out too soon. Getting to the sign in page was not intuitive. It would be nice if the breakfast included options for vegan and gluten free.

    4
« Quick trip to Astoria »

Quick mid week trip to Astoria to check out Maritime Museum and other local attractions. Spent two nights, and enjoyed it very much. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Facilities well maintained. Breakfast area was very clean with nice selection of cereal and hot foods. Our king size bed was so comfortable, we almost slept thru checkout time. We will definitely come back for another visit.

    4
    « Oregon Coast Trip »

We only stayed here one night, on our way from San Francisco to Seattle. We had two adults and two children. Everyone was very comfortable. The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly. We would definitely return.

    5
    « Extremely Courteous staff »

My family and I checked in and we were immediately impressed with the courteous staff member behind the desk. At breakfast the next morning we experienced the same level of attentive and helpful staff working in the kitchen,(Elly) was especially great! The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. We had a ocean view room on the 3rd floor that was great! Pool was clean and comfortable as was the hot tub. Parking lot was well lit too. Overall a great place!

    5
« Hotel at its best »

Hotel is very clean and customer service is great. The breakfast is delicious and hotel offers a great variety of foods. It has washer/dryer front loaders that make my living easier. I'm here for business and this place is like my home away from home.

    4
    « Nice BW Hotel »

We have stayed here at this BW before. While the hotel is starting to show it's age, the staff is outstanding, and the location in Astoria is great. Leaving the hotel to make a left turn onto the main highway; it is best to drive past the railroad trolly barn and then turn up the hill. There is a stop light at that intersection. The included breakfast is definitely not gourmet but the waffles are good and there is always toast. I would come back to this property again.

    4
« Retired and loving it. »

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. Great breakfast with a lot of choices. The trail was right behind the hotel, so we were able to walk the riverfront. Plus we had a beautiful sunset at the end of the trail that was right behind the building, just a short walk. The room was comfortable and clean.

  • 5
    « Great Place »

This place was very nice. Stayed for a long weekend. Our room was on the fourth floor over looking the river. The view was amazing as you can watch the ships coming in and out through out the day. Nice breakfast included. Small pool area but adequate. The gas fireplace was nice, but limited to a 15 minute timer. Overall, a great value for the money.

    5
    « Going Back »

I spent 3 nights here and I am going back two more times this year. This is my go to hotel for fun on the coast of Oregon. Friendly helpful staff, nice rooms, and great rates. Tons of things to do within easy driving distance.

    5
    « Awesome place »

Pleasant, confortable, clean hotel. The beds were great. The staff was very accomadating. The breakfast very good with everything you could think of for breakfast. Enjoyed the pool and all the aminities.

    « Seattle bound »

We had a lovely experience the rain was coming sideways and the wind was blowing 50 kn but we got into our hotel and it was quiet and warm and very helpful friendly staff we enjoyed our experience I would definitely come back and stay at the best Western in Astoria

    « Clean, comfortable, friendly »

We had a wonderful time here over the holidays. Friendly people, solid breakfast, and a clean, quiet, and comfortable room. Fred gave us great advice for things to see and do in Astoria. We hope to visit again soon.

    4
    « Good experience »

Went there with family, the hotel although old but was cosy with traditional interior, staff was very friendly, overall it was a good experience. The front desk person was very cooperative, he gave information about the town and museums etc.

    5
    « Great Value »

Found the location to be convenient to all the sites. We arrived late without a reservation and had no issues getting a room, but they did apologize for not being able to give us a room with a better view of the water. Clean room and a good breakfast.

    5
    « Great Hotel »

We were early to checkin and the room was not quite done but we were given a suggestion for lunch and it was really good!! The Portway Tavern is right down the street and has quite the history as one of the main places to have had shanghais take place......When we returned to checkin the room was ready and we were then......... after asking.....given a very good recomendation for a nice Dinner restaurant......The Silver Salmon was very very good......The hotel even put a yellow rose in the room for my wife for her BDay after I asked them!! This place is in a bit of an odd location but don't let that stop you its quiet and if you get a room on the river side........ which they also gave us!!!.......Its very nice........ I recommend this Hotel to anyone.......

    5
    « Wonderful stay »

The Best Western Inn in Astoria is a fantastic place to stay. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. They recommended Fultano's Pizza-terrific lunch buffet!! The gym was excellent- a full gym with TV's on several machines. Excellent views of the bay!!!

    5
    « Outstanding! »

All I expected and more! Rustic and cozy. Friendly staff. Clean and Quite room. My daughter was asleep within 20 mins. She must have been extremely comfortable because she is usually a tough one to get to sleep.

    « Above and Beyond »

Amazing service from the moment we called to see if our room was ready for early check-in (it was) to checking out the next day. All of the staff were wonderful. Clean and comfortable room with a view of the river. Best hot tub I have used in a long time and the hotel is in close walking distance of great restaurants. Will definitely return!

« First night stay in Oregon »

We chose the Best Western Astoria Bayfront on a whim prior to flying to Oregon. It was a nice hotel but on the expensive side for having to drive a back alley to get to the hotel. I think we paid $200 for 1 night. Check in was pleasant however, when we asked for a recommendation on where to dine, we were told about the most expensive place in town and given a 10% off coupon - obviously a kick back. That's not what we typically look for - we walked back thru the alley to a local bar. The breakfast was probably one of the best ones we've had in a hotel. Room was good and looked out onto a bay. At night, we watched a cruise ship sailing out which was nice. Would be a good hotel to stay at if it was more affordable.

    4
    « Nice hotel »

Check in very thorough?? Pets accepted Nice big pet walking areas Indoor pool Nice continental breakfast Will stay closer to town next time as it's walking at night not well lite up for me as a solo traveler

« Trip to Astoria and friends and family »

The BW was clean, warm and refreshing. The team members were pleasant and always asking how we were doing. The lobby person found out we were going to dinner with family and gave us MO'S coupons for clowder and free soda drinks. We always stay at BW there due to the great service and close to family.

    « best western astoria »

Hotel entrance was a little sketchy, it felt like driving into an industrial area. People were nice, breakfast was adequate, room was fine. Easy access at end of Astoria just before the Youngs Bay bridge. Worry free stay!

« WAS great! But what happened?? »

Have stayed here on multiple occasions. Pretty much always a flawless visit. Last time about 6-8 months ago, stayed in room 340. Shower would plug up after about a 10 minute shower. Brought it to the checkout staffs attention the next morning. This last weekend decided to drive from our home town about 2 hours away for quick weekend getaway. We love going to Astoria. Lots to do! Great food, brew pubs and antique stores. Was surprised to get the same room as a ? Platinum? member free up grade. Internet was not secured?? As a salesman I need internet, I couldn't even log on! Called the front desk to ask if they could simply reset the server and all I got was ?we'll let our IT guy know?. REALLY?? It's 6pm on Friday, I'm sure he's running right in. The next morning my wife said they fixed the clogged drain as she stood in 3 inches of water after a 10-15 minute shower. Again REALLY?? I wondered as I stood in my own 3? of water how the housekeeping staff could possibly clean this out? They HAVE to know and must use the towels to sop up the water. I guess what really sets me off is the laxadasical attitude of the staff, the internet issue and the lasting statement of the check out manager as I reiterated the internet issue, ?that's why we say use at your own risk? REALLY?? I've have never stayed at a Best Western without secured internet access. Read my other reviews and you'll see that I'm very truthful and honest in them. I allow a ?one off? for having a bad day and such. But the plugged up shower? Unless this motel was built with a plumber from Mars, what gives? I think the plumber is also the IT guy??? Hum???

    « Good Stay »

We had a nice night and a great breakfast. Highway 101 was closed and we had to find a place for the night. The staff was very accommodating. They had a room and got us in for the night. Very comfortable. We considered it an unplanned 'date night'. Thank you for the impromptu assistance. !

    5
    « great hotel »

This hotel was a great bang for the buck -- it has an excellent location. Everything was extremely clean. The room was very well appointed. It had super comfortable beds. One very nice touch -- cotton linens. The staff was very professional and conscientious and responded to all of our needs promptly.

    5
    « Quiet in Astoria »

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Astoria Bayfront Hotel. The ice machine works and the staff is not just good but, they were incredible, from the desk people to the housekeeping staff. Very quiet; probably the best sleep of our most recent Northwest trip. Good views of the Port of Astoria (right next door) and the mouth of the Columbia. Less costly than the over-rated former fish cannery converted to a scary hotel built on pilings nearby. Our only complaint is the "free breakfast" which we actually pay for but do not want. It is only a benefit for people with either bad taste in breakfast or kids who will eat anything. Other business travelers we talk to also object to paying for "free breakfast". A very quiet property although, as early risers, we have no problem with the log processing operation nearby which starts up around 4:00 AM. It adds character to the location. Remember; this is Astoria, not Portland. Astoria is a functioning seaport and can be a little gritty. If you go out to dinner, you will probably be rubbing elbows with sailors from just about anywhere. The local place we went to for dinner had about 25 male patrons per two females but the food and service were great. It will rain (and storm like you have never experienced) any time of the year. We love it but, bring serious rain gear. Bottom line: Stay here and you won't be disappointed, the people are great

    4
    « Very comfortable »

This hotel was very comfortable and home like, close to restaurants, very well insulated for sound, comfy beds and pillows, multiple entrances for easy access to room, service was quick and simple, I would definitely use them again

    « Not impressed »

Chain Hotel established in Astoria for a while. This place has been updated but still showing some signs of use. PROS: 2-star Chain with above average amenities -- bed was comfy Breakfast had a good spread of all typical buffet style foods. Cons: Price was too much for 2-star. Check around the area as others were cheaper ... my mistake. bathroom showed signs of use and some non maintenance. Could hear people outside in the halls and outside opening and closing their car doors pretty easily - at least to me. Location Like most older places the sound proofing was lacking. While they have updates the decor you can see the bathrooms were used and needed some maintenance. The AC unit was an in the wall and not digital - analog so keep a constant temp to your liking could be difficult. The bed was comfy and gave a luxury feel which seems 2-star places are adding this more... can give a 3-star feel. The breakfast was a full spread of everything. Lots of food and hot but it was typical of hotels. The place was nestled behind a light industrial area. You take a right turn before the roundabout then almost an immediate left to get to the hotel. During a storm at night I passed it even with the GPS ... you experience may vary. This place was not at a location you can walk to many places. It was a disappointment for that. If I could do it all over I would consider other locations in the area.

Good hotel. Good location and pleasant room. Not enough space in the breakfast area though! Otherwise, it was nice and definitely up to Best Western standards. We have stayed here several times and will stay here again.

    « Quietest room we've ever had »

Nice clean room, and we were amazed at how quiet it was. It was as if we were the only ones in the entire hotel. Swimming pool, hot tub and spa were very nice too. Would definitely stay again. Didn't do the continental breakfast, but sure smelled good. The staff was also very friendly and helpful.

« Nice place, spotty wifi »

I really liked the place. The staff is very nice and the facilities are high quality. The pool is nice although I was surprised I could not find an drinking fountain in with the pool, hot tub and sauna. Also, the wifi is really spotty. Not the router connection but the actual internet connection.. all in all, I really like this place.

    « A Night Without the Kids »

We wanted a night away fromy the kids and so got a room here with a jetted tub. It was awesome! Fireplace was a great added touch. And we loved that the pool and hot tub were open 24 hours for adults only. Breakfast was nice, the usual, and we enjoyed taking it back to our room for breakfast in bed. The room was a great price. I would highly recommend.

Nice rooms Great bed clean and quite! Breakfast service normally opens after I needed to be out so they had food out early for me. Also needed extra parking space for equipment and they were happy to help.

« Newer BW on the river walk with clean rooms and great proximity to downtown. Comercial fishing store around the corner . »

Newer BW hotel on the west end of the river walk. Good access to all the down town and a Comercial fishing and marine supplier next door. Fort Stevens a short drive away but worth planning a day there alone. Also need to check out the Maritime Meuse and the Colum.

« Another amazing stay here. »

Been here several times now, some staff even recognize us now! Very convenient for all the area, just minutes from the bridges that go everywhere here. a short drive to the town centre, and maybe 10 minutes to get to the Astoria Column. Excellent breakfast choices, a step above the usual Best Western choices. The staff here make it better, they all seem to genuinely care and that is so rare now. We have used 3 others in the area, but this is now our favourite.

« Quick getaway in lovely Astoria. »

Great place to get away for a night. Staff was very friendly and professional. Expansive continental breakfast included with room. We even found some allergen friendly options like almond milk and gluten free bread. The indoor pool and hot tub are a great perk. For the price of the room you can't beat the value.

    « The Best ! »

We enjoyed our one night stay. From the moment we walked in the front door everyone was friendly and helpful. But, the breakfast hostess, Elly, was superb. Her smile and openness won us over immediately. Her dining area was spotless and she kept arranging and restocking to make us feel like we were guests in her own home. Thank you.

    « pleasant for a short stay »

Location is at the NW edge of town, through a parking area for self-storage. Our room had a nice view of the Columbia River and the working port. King bed was comfortable and HVAC worked well. Breakfast selections included some healthful cereals, yogurts and fruits as well as the standard sugary choices. It is close to the west end of the Riverwalk, which would be great when the wind isn't blowing hard.

    « Perfect »

this was a wonderful place to stay in Astoria, easy to get to and clean. The staff is very nice, especially the gentleman at the front. The breakfast was wonderful too and the wifi was easy to use. I have never been to Astoria but this was a great place to stay, it is close to a few places within walking but most is a drive from this location.

« Best Western Astoria Visit »

The hotel is situated on the Columbia bay and our room had a great view. The rooms and bathrooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The location is central to Seaside and to Long Beach in Washington. There are many historical sites nearby. We enjoyed the Maritime Museum and look forward to returning and spending more time.

    « Very nice hotel »

Nice ambiance. Our room was spacious. The shower head was taller than both of us which is great. The mattress could have been a little newer. I could see dips on both sides. The pool area is open 24 hours for adults. Breakfast was awesome. There were some gluten and dairy free options available.

« They treat you like family »

The staff is very friendly from the housekeeping , meal servers and front desk. It was said to me by front desk clerk that our first visit we're guests and any visits after we're family . This is our second visit ( my husband and myself ) and we felt treated like family and I highly suggest staying here .

« what you would expect »

Is this the type of place we normally stay, no, it is not a 4 or 5 star property. Was it clean and decent, yes. Best part is pool is 24 hours. If you are in Astoria it will do. Price was low, location is okay, view is great. Breakfast had a lot of options--heck, we have paid more for breakfast at the W than we paid for the whole stay here including breakfast and the room.

From the time we checked in, through homemade breakfasts, and yummy evening coffee, the hotel was great! Comfy bed, clean room, sift towels and great staff. If you can, get a jetted tub room... Simply amazing! We'll be back!

    « Best Western Astoria »

excellent value for money. We'd stay here again. Finding the driveway was a bit of a challenge ... you have to drive through the parking lot of a U-Haul location (I think it was) and this could have better signage.

    5
« Excellent Service and Cleanliness »

Great service, very clean rooms and terrific breakfast included. Great motorcycle parking, under cover. Definitely will use this facility again. Astoria also has great microbrew pubs. Great beer and food selections.

    « Our family stay »

The first night of our stay the pool and hot tub were closed. The vending machines on most of the floors had had a very poor selection and many empty spots. The first floor ice machine was broken. BUT all in all we were satisfied with our stay.

    « Wonderful staff »

    « Needs improvement. »

The turn off the main road to get to the hotel was not well marked and easily missed. We ended up having to drive over the Young Bay bridge, turn around and come back to find the road into the hotel. The hotel room was too small and crowded. Also, the price was too high, but hotel choices were limited due to events in town.

    3
    « Average hotel »

Drive up to the hotel is very seedy looking. Hotel entrance is pleasant with attractive lobby area. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful, the best part of our experience. The room was adequate and clean. There were no interesting views. Breakfast was adequate.

    3
    « Keep Looking! »

We only stayed one night here and that was plenty! The hotel is in a weird place surrounded by boat docks...our room had a terrible view of nasty fishing boats. Room was very small! The lady at check in was rude...she wouldn't make eye contact or really even look at me at all. I also felt that pink hair was unprofessional for such a job. We were put on the first floor...we got no sleep at all because the people upstairs were so noisy all night! The floors in this place creak like it's an old house. Breakfast was pretty good, I've definitely had worse and the breakfast attendant was nice. The check out lady didn't seem concerned that we didn't enjoy our stay. Way overpriced...$170 (including tax) Go somewhere else!

Rooms were spotless. Breakfast was great. Ask for a water view room on the highest floor when reserving. Staff was very friendly. Take the trolly to the many waterfront eateries and breweries. Go to the column on top off the hill and hike up the stairs inside for a awesome view.

    « Astoria Bayfront »

    « Astoria »

The hotel and the local area looked a bit sketchy as we drove in, but Fred, the front desk representative, gave us the lowdown on where to eat and what to see during our brief stay. There's plenty to see, lots of history in Astoria!

    « Okay »

Room was small and view was of many derelict boats and a crane, no real view of water. Breakfast was good and lots of choices. Staff very friendly. Hard to find as the signage was poor but was told the city won't allow a bigger sign.

We enjoyed our two days stay. The kitchen staff were very friendly, kind and supportive on meeting any need we had. The facility was kept clean, We enjoyed the pool, the temperatures of both pools was very comfortable, towels clean and large. The front staff were of the best caliber and kinder than anywhere we have traveled. Thank you and when able, we will give recommendations to your comfortable welcoming motel in Astoria, WA.

    « Overnight Stay »

The stay was great. I was greeted with kindness and a nice smile. Everything from the check-in to check-out ran smoothly. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and very guest friendly. The continental breakfast was fresh, healthy and everything was the temperature that it should be. I truly enjoyed this stay.

    « Nice view-average room »

Stayed here because the Columbia River Gorge was on fire. Do not be fooled by the dark wood and dark tile in the lobby and the less than clean elevator. Our room had a great view and the shower water was hot and powerful and the bed was quite comfortable. Though the room was clean, it had a large cobweb hanging in the corner. Unfortunately, the too tiny breakfast room was poorly set up with the coffee service in one corner adjacent to a table where people were seated eating breakfast. Wooden chairs that were too large and cumbersome were used around the tables. It is definitely a 2star Hotel.

« Astoria Best Western a Nice Place »

We had to escape the gorge fire and smoke so drove to the coast to Astoria, a gorgeous coastal town. We always look for a Best Western, and found a room here. It was very clean and comfortable. Free breakfast of the usual fare but tasted fine and coffee was good and hot. The check person could not have been friendlier or more helpful. This seems to be an older establishment and could use a facelift. The hot tub was being drained so not accessible but overall was a comfortable stay and would go back. Close to the highway, 5 minutes into town.

« The Explorer's Hub where the Columbia River meets the Pacific »

Explore North and South of the Columbia a day at a time while having the same bed every night. Have a good, quiet, comfortable room and breakfast on site before going out for the day. Explore Astoria History before and after the Voyage of Discovery by Lewis & Clark, through local museums and the friendly people who live here. It will take a short drive or walk to find your evening meal from a nice assortment of restaurants and lunch in many more. Resupply for your day trips up or down the Pacific Coast. For your first time here, it helps to "map it out" to find the turn off US 101 at the South end of the city.

« First Rate all the Way! »

We were dodging the smoke and fires in Oregon on Labor Day and Astoria became a replacement for Grant's Pass.... We felt lucky to get two rooms. Our expectations were in check but I really wanted some hot tub after the crowded highway. When we checked in the Hot Tub had a closed notice, but after asking Tammi (the highly competent front desk manager) she assured us it was due to chemical management and would soon be opened. It was and it was perfect. I manage the chemistry in my own pool so I am highly attuned: this is a first class operation. Coming north it's just after the roundabout and then left. When it's busy turn right towards the roundabout to manage traffic.

« Always a great place to stay »

Great staff; we were able to check in early (I support individuals with high needs and this is such a bonus when we arrive early!) Afternoon warm cookies are such a treat and the breakfast was tasty . . it was a holiday weekend so we expected the breakfast room to be crowded and took ours back to our room to enjoy.

We were really impressed with how clean our room was and lived the hotel coffee! « Great stay in Astoria »

Clean facility with good service, comfortable beds, quiet, and better than average complementary breakfast. Don't let the odd location in the boat yards deter you from staying here. Staff took the time to phone us same day as check out after we left article of clothing in room.

    « Needs Cleanup »

We spent two nights in Astoria. I was once a long term resident. We stayed at the Best Western and were very disappointed with the cleanliness of the room (hairs in bed, window covered in bird poop, floor needed a vacuum. It's "right on the water" but loo0ks over an industrial field between the hotel and the water, which is ugly. Lastly, the rooms were quiet and we slept well.

« Nice Hotel in Historic Astoria »

The room was comfortable and quiet and just what I needed after a long flight to Portland and a long drive to Astoria. The amenities were plain and simple but were enough for comfort. The room was quiet and attractive. The drive to the Historic District of Astoria or to the harbor is about a mile and a half. Access to US 101 and coastal communities is easy. I would return.

« Very nice, but avoid room 240 »

The good - the view was lovely; overlooking the Columbia River with beautiful sunsets. The room was very comfortable (with one exception - see below), and the breakfast selections and quality were very good! We loved the fresh baked cookies each night, and the location was close to all the touristy things we wanted to do. The not so good - We were in room 240. About 11pm someone checked into room 340 above us. There were usual footstep noises (to be expected), but the problem was that their floor joists were horribly creaky. We called the front desk. She was fairly short with us and said the hotel was full so there was nowhere to move us. The next morning, the room 340 folks were apparently going out for the day because from 4-4:30am, the very loud creaking of their floors/our ceiling commenced. My husband actually recorded it and played this for the front desk person the next morning. She was very surprised, and hopefully reported it to someone.

    « 24/7 hot tub »

It was wonderful that I had the opportunity to relax in the hot tub after a long day of travel. I don't keep regular hours so I was so excited that I could use the hot tub whenever I wanted not just during specified hours. I felt like I got the full use of my day!

    « One night stay »

« Best Western Astoria, Go to the BW! »

Once you find the hotel, your stay will be easy. The entrance is through a little road that winds through a trailer rental lot. Eureka, there the hotel is on the right! We stayed for six nights and found the hotel to suit our needs. Free breakfast, cookies after 2:00 pm, the location of the hotel, the accommodating front desk and staff, and a generally quiet room. I've stayed at many hotels in Astoria and the BW is not the most expensive and offers a good home base for all of Oregon Coast side trips we took.

    « Very Clean »

The hotel was very clean and neat. The staff was very friendly. My room was very comfortable. The breakfast was pretty good and everything was the temperature it should be. The only negative was that the internet was too slow for me to log into my classroom to complete homework.

    « I highly recommend staying here! »

This was our second time staying at this hotel (first time was February 2014) and we had a great experience. The hotel is very well kept, has excellent ammenities including a pool, hot tub, and nice eating area, and is in a great location. This trip we brought our bikes and the waterfront trail to downtown Astoria runs right behind the hotel! It also has quick access to Hwy 101 and is right near the roundabout that leads to the Warrenton bridge. All-around a great hotel that I highly recommend - it is our go-to hotel for our visits to Astoria and the surrounding area.

« Love the Beach for Business »

The beach is always a great place for business travel. This hotel is a good stay for business or pleasure. They have good internet, Breakfast, and Gym if you like. Staff is nice. Rooms are good. Clean. and if you have a view of the water it is even better.

« Great staff, good house »

They have a great front desk staff. They're friendly and helpful and a pleasure to deal with. The rooms are a typical BW rooms. It seems to me they're pricey but when you're fleeing triple digit temperatures from Central Oregon you can't be too choosy. But over $200 per night for a fairly standard room......

« Great Place to Stay in Astoria »

Located right under the beautiful bridge that spans the Columbia River, this hotel is a very comfortable, clean spot to stay with all the comforts you can expect in the price range. It's conveniently located to the fun trolley and other sights like the Maritime Museum. It's also just a quick walk to some great places to eat.

« Unfriendly Staff, Difficult Location to Find, Non-Accommodating, Price Did Not Match Service »

The receptionist at check-in was unfriendly and impatient. Every question we asked received a curt reply. The location is difficult to find. We drove past it, through town, turned around and GPS'd it to a street that you turn down and have to drive through a U-haul storage lot to access the hotel. Make sure to request a bay view room when making reservations, or you will be stuck in a parking lot view room, listening to semi-haulers on the adjacent boulevard using their Jake Brakes in the early morning hours. We requested the unfriendly receptionist to move our room and again, that was met with a curt reply we could not be moved. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The air conditioner was noisy, on a thermostat, and roared on and off all night long. Did not eat breakfast there. The washer and dryer in the hotel laundry facility were horrible. $2 to wash a load of clothes, the spin cycle did not work, clothes were wet coming out of the washing machine. Took two cycles on high to dry. Very frustrating. Don't stay here. There are other reputable hotels within the area with accommodations for a fair price than what this Best Western charged per night for the services we received.

    3
    « Too small »

Rooms are extremely small. And they don't offer cots or rollaway beds. Breakfast had great options, but the eating area is so small that barely anybody can eat there. We had to eat in our room the entire time we were there. Also I heard other people complaining because they had to take their food to their room as well.

    5
    « Great Stay »

Amazing staff at check in, very helpful about the area and recommendations of places to eat and where to go. Hotel is a little hard to find, sign not very visible, off the traffic, quiet, backside view of the Columbia River is great. Amazing breakfast choices in the morning, hot cookies in the lobby in the afternoon, pool, sauna, and spa open extensive hours, very comfy bed, could use an extra pillow or two for propping up, towels located in shower did not make sense to me but convenient.

    5
« The staff was excellent »

Everyone was very helpful from the time I made the reservation to the time I left. They made special arrangements for my dog to accompany me. The check-in and check-out staffs were very friendly and courteous. Both the check-in and check-out went smoothly. These people are very efficient.

« Very nice and friendly staff »

I stayed there with my wife and three kids on our way to California. It was a clean quiet place to stay. It's away from the busier places and traffic but still right by the highway. "D" was working at the front desk and I really appreciated the extra time she took to help a tourist out.

    5
    « Great staff! »

The rooms were clean, the FULL breakfast was wonderful. Throughout the day you could get coffee, tea, water and fresh fruit and fresh cookies in the afternoon. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a awkward parking lot but has a pretty view of the bay with a wonderful walking trail to watch the sunset.

    3
« Hotel ok, location not so much. »

Place was clean and friendly. Can't complain about that. However, location made you feel like you were staying in a shipyard or container yard. Rooms were small but clean. A bit pricey for location too...albeit from what we learned, Oregon in general is a bit pricey.

    5
« Different but they solved the Breakfast Problem. »

This place was great. They really went out of their way to help. I locked my key in my room and they sent a person to help open the room. But the biggest improvement I saw was how they solved the breakfast rush problem. The split the area up into three different sections according to how the area was use. I didn't have to watch people from the back anymore I could see all the offerings and they were easy go get to. That was great.

    « Tasteful »

Pros: Nicely done room, hotel, and breakfast. A bit far from the town center. Very clean. Front desk man in a.m.had good touring suggestions. Cons: Pool was out of order in evening and in the morning. Ice machine broken on floor but another on floor above worked. Need sign to tell this. Elevator out of order. Repair coming next day, we're told.

« Best Western - terrific and helpful staff »

We returned to the Best Western for our overnight stay. The gentleman at the front desk went above and beyond our expectations in order to accommodate our family. Before our trip, we reserved our room for 2 adults and 2 children using a popular online third party service and paid our non-refundable fee. Upon arrival (prior to check-in time), the front desk person mentioned we had a room with king bed. Confusion, investigation, phone calls, and emotional turmoil all ended when the hotel staff member spoke to the third party requiring them to refund our fees due to false advertising and then he took care of the rest. We ended up with a beautiful double queen beds room (the last one available) at a terrific rate -- all because the hotel staff member took care of our needs directly. From now on, we will ONLY reserve our room by calling this hotel as we are confident they will offer the best rate and take care of us. The room was nicely decorated with all amenities included. The kids enjoyed the refreshing sauna, hot tub and pool (although it is small, the best "water" is found on nearby beaches). The breakfast is included with your stay and offers a terrific selection of fresh items including cooked foods such as waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, meat, and ready to go food items including bagels, toast, hot or cold cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt, and a selection of beverages for anyone's enjoyment. WiFi worked well and the fitness room offered the opportunity to work out inside after enjoying the day outside walking the pathway along the water or to the nearly Astoria Trolley. I know we will return again and again when we visit Astoria, Oregon.

    « Mediocre »

Not good views, not the cleanest, hair in the bathroom, dirty laundry machines. Loud outside our room in the a.m. as there is a warehouse/boat business outside the window. Would not stay here again. The Holiday Inn farther North of here looked much nicer, wish I would have stayed there instead.

    « Omelets and Bacon »

Everything and everyone was super great. Wish the nightly rate was just a couple bucks cheaper but it's a nice place with friendly, helpful staff. Wife thought room art wasn't great. Breakfast was good, I enjoyed the omelet option and it appears BW is embracing bacon as an option too!!!!!!! Riverwalk is right behind hotel and has a nice view with benches at the end. Waterfront business/downtown is about a mile walk/4 minute drive I think.

    « A Better Best Western »

This Best Western property along with the Best Western in Bainbridge Island, WA are the two finest hotels in the chain that we have stayed at. The staff, the property and the amenities are all top notch (only one flaw was the speed of wifi was very slow). You can tell how well this hotel is managed by how comfortable, happy and service oriented the entire staff is from the maids on up. The breakfast service was the best of any motel we've stayed in. Lots of personal touches to the food made a big difference. The rooms are beautifully maintained and of very high quality.

« Nice place to stay »

Fred was especially helpful with our check in experience. He was able to get us in early to our room and was full of great advice to check out the area. The breakfast was solid and the room was clean and tidy.

    « Good but overprized »

When you reach this hotel, one might think to enter a shipyard or a fishingwharf or something like that. Nevertheless, the hotel is located in this area, which gives it a special atmosphere. Looking over the harbour-area from your hotelroom is fun. And when the sun sets it's a blast! The hotel itself is somewhat 'older', but the rooms are good and complete. Nice bathroom, good breakfast. Couldn't find any aditional reasons that justify why the price of this hotel is that high. From the hotel you can do a nice 'riverwalk' which brings you in about 20 minutes to restaurants and shops.

    « Super Comfortable Beds! »

This was a great place to stay for 4th of July. It's only about 25 min from Long Beach, WA. The room was clean and included a mini fridge and a microwave. The bed was incredibly comfortable which was such a great suprise. The only issue we had was that the bathroom fan and light were connected with one switch and the fan was incredibly loud. Not typical fan sounds either, loud rattling and buzzing sounds. We actually ended up having to shower with the light off and the door open because of how annoying it was. We let the front desk staff know of the issue at check out and they were very kind and said they would have someone look into it. Overall we had a great experience and a good nights sleep thanks to the great mattress!

    4
    « Convenient Location »

This hotel is right off the highway as you come into Astoria from the South. It is well maintained, clean and comfortable. You will need to drive to most destinations as most things are not within walking distance. There is however a nice pathway close to the hotel but on this occasion the weather was a bit cold for walking.

    5
    « Quiet »

The room was clean, had a good view of the river and was quiet. The gentleman at the front desk was very nice and gave us tips where to eat and the attractions that were in town. We will stay here again in the future.

    5
« Clean, comfortable, great amenities »

Everything we expected. Clean, comfortable beds (cotton sheets!) and rooms, pool, breakfast. Thank you for keeping a high standard at Best Western hotels! Upper levels probably have a good river view, main level not so much, but it did look out onto green foliage and a nice sunset.

    5
« Best Western Astoria Bayfront Hotel »

Excellent front desk reception. The agent was extremely helpful guiding us to things to see and do as well as helping to steer us to excellent places to eat. We also enjoyed the full breakfast. Because of membership in Best Western rewards we were upgraded to an excellent room with hot tub and fireplace.

    « Great trip »

Love Astoria!!! Make sure to see the column, and eat at Genos, watch for the seals down on the warf or at pier 39. Make sure to take a trip over the bridge... love love love this town would go there over and over again

    5
    « Value and location »

The Best Western Bayfront is at the far west end of Astoria's Riverwalk. Many excellent restaurants and all the downtown attractions are accessible on foot. (There is a trolley, but it only runs once an hour.) There are more expensive hotels closer in, but this is the best value: clean, comfortable bed, generously-sized room, hot breakfast. Ask for a room with a river view.

    4
    « Work-stay »

It's always nice, when working on the coast to know that Best Western will be there. Always providing an affordable rate for the working person. Not to mention the great amenities, hot tub/pool, workout room, quiet area/library with computer and printer access. Best western as my only choice when working out of town. They truly understand my needs. Thank you Eric.

« Bad location and overpriced »

This hotel looked quiet good on the BW reservation site, but it had another name. So I drove around Astoria, looking for this hotel. I passed the hotel twice because the name on the hotel was different than the name on my reservation. I called the hotel twice for directions and these pointed me in the right directiion but I could not figure out how to get there. As it turns out, go turn off 101/30 into a litte court that dead ends into the Bay. Then you have to turn into an small industrial park and from there you reach the driveway for the hotel. Do not try to find this place after dark!! This hotels in in the middle of NOWHERE. You have to drive south over a long bridge to find a few restaurants and a supermarket. The city of Astoria is the other way many miles away. The hotel itself consists of a 2-story structure in the front and a 4-story in the back. The latter is a recent addition. I stayed in the front 2-story older structure. The hotel seems to have been renovated on the cheap. Our room looked unclean and smelled musty. Maybe a dog stayed here? Lots of people with dogs stayed there and they have no "dog-only" rooms. The front of this hotel is definitely NOT a BW Plus. The back might be but I did not get to stay there. The free breakfast was minimal but at least edible. Although there was a lot of noise from the highway, I did manage to sleep OK.

    « Quiet, clean, comfortable »

My daughter and I stayed here two nights this past weekend. When I first drove in I had a bit of panic because the sign says "Lincoln Inn" rather than Bayfront or something similar and if they have a strip of blue lights like in the picture they weren't on so I thought maybe my GPS had taken me to the wrong Best Western. Luckily, it was the correct place - maybe they should fix their sign or correct their picture? Anyway - check in was quick and easy, room was quiet (on the 4th floor overlooking the bay), clean, nice linens, thick towels and plenty of them, nice shower head, good size TV. Wi-fi seemed a bit slow but that is common. The bed seemed comfortable at first but then I tossed and turned much of the night and ended up with a sore back in the AM - not sure if the problem was too soft or too hard. My 9 year old thought they were fine. Breakfast area was clean with lots of choices, items kept well stocked despite it being busy. There were cookies in the lobby the first night we were there then they disappeared the following night - not sure if we missed them maybe? We used the pool both days - the pool area is very nice - looks like maybe it was recently redone. I appreciated that the deepest part of the pool was 4.5 feet so I had less to worry about my daughter swimming. Hot tub was lovely and they even had a sauna! They supply pool towels as well so you don't have to worry about using your room towels. All in all, great location, very friendly and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

Stayed 1 night here following the Sandcastle contest at Cannon Beach. Amenities were very good quality: comfortable beds, nice hot shower, carpeting and tile work throughout hotel is very nice, breakfast above average with sausage links, eggs and potatoes as options. The spa was nice too.

« A Very Nice and Comfortable Hotel in Astoria »

This was my first trip to Astoria, OR and this was a great place to stay. At the edge of town yet was close enough for everything. The staff was friendly and made you feel special. From my room on the third floor I had a great view of the river with its numerous ships passing. The sunsets were beautiful and I didn't have to go any where to view them. The breakfasts were surprising good and was always out early. If I return to Astoria this will be the place I will stay.

    « A Good Night in Astoria »

The Best Western in Astoria, OR is an excellent place to stay while visiting the Oregon coast. It's quite reasonable and the rooms are comfortable and clean. I've stayed here every year when going to the annual Astoria Music Festival.

    5

A little odd to approach but a nice hotel with a friendly desk staff. There are no restaurants in walking distance. They all require a drive into town where parking may be a problem. Hotel situated on the Columbia River.

« Very nice and comfortable »

We stayed for two nights in June 2017. We had a very nice room, including an in-room Jacuzzi! The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were outstanding!. Our room reservation included breakfast with both cold and hot choices. The location is a little south of downtown Astoria, but easily accessible to the town. Will definitely stay here again

    5
« Nice place to stay »

A well-managed establishment that we have visited a couple of times. Rooms are tidy, well appointed, and quiet. It's especially nice to watch the big and small ships come and go through the shipping channel. Pool and hot tub are nice and relaxing, and breakfast is tasty and plentiful. Watch for driveway upon entering, it's narrow.

« Always a treat to go to the Oregon Coast »

Astoria's Best Western Bayfront Inn is very, very nice. We hadn't stayed there in a long time, but it was lovely. When Best Western took them over (more than 10 years ago), they did a complete remodel. It is one of the nicest BW's I've stayed in. Our bayfront room was gorgeous. I happened to be able to use accrued points and it was worth all of them! Our room was a king room, and we unexpectedly got upgraded to one with a 2 person Jacuzzi and gas fireplace. The view was very nice, for being over part of the port district. There is now a lighted path; we saw two deer grazing for breakfast, and the sunset over the Columbia River was gorgeous. Our bed was a comfortable pillow top with luxury sheets and plenty of pillows for the both of us. The room was very spacious and held a desk, side chair and ottoman along with plenty of room for a dresser, the bed and two nightstands. The mini fridge and microwave were cleverly set in and above a counter top that didn't take up a huge amount of room. There was a roomy enclosed closet and the sink and shower areas were spacious. The room was incredibly quiet and clean. We would definitely stay there again.

    « A Wonderful Mini Vacation »

This is one of THE best BW hotels. The staff was great, the room was spacious and comfortable. I had my dog with me and they made sure I was close to an exit for convenience. The location has easy access and the town of Astoria has so many fun things to do.

Great service, clean rooms, great breakfast and very helpful and friendly employees. Everything was always tidied up when we came back from our outing's during the day. The housekeeper's do a awesome job of keeping the hotel clean and the front desk people were always so polite. They gave direction and ideas on what to do in Astoria. And the lady in the kitchen who prepares breakfast works really hard too. I highly recommend the best Western in Astoria,Oregon.

We (dog included) stayed at the Best Western Astoria Bayfront Hotel for two nights. Everything worked exactly has it should, from check in to our check out. « Astoria..a very interesting town. »

Very helpful front desk man. Everyone courteous. Great breakfast attended by good people. The motel was a bit hard to find in that the original name had not yet been replaced. However, minor hiccup. I would stay again.

« Great hotel for mini getaway »

We stayed here for memorial weekend. Check-in and check-out was quick and easy and the staff was friendly and helpful. Their breakfast was delicious but go early to guarantee seating. The pool was clean and always stocked with towels. We thought we had grabbed all our stuff but got a call 30 min of checking out that we had left a shirt behind and it would be at the front desk. We didn't bother going back to grab it but appreciated the hotel letting us know.

« Another great stay in Astoria »

Nice stay at the Best Western. This hotel is close to downtown Astoria, and also close to TJ Maxx and Costco. Our room, the pool, and breakfast make this a nice place to stay. Make sure you have a pool towel before you get in the pool, otherwise you may have to wait a bit.Pool is also 24 hours for adults.

    « Nicely Run Hotel »

Hard to find hotel as it is located outside of Astoria just South of town with a sign that reads Best Western Lincoln! Actually in an industrial area. Breakfast was very good with excellent eggs and sausage. Have never seen this many dogs in a hotel before and some guests mistakenly brought them in areas that were inappropriate. Appeared to be run by an local couple who were very personable and caring. All in all a good option for this location in spite of not being in the charming town center.

    3
    « It was OK »

Bed wasn't the most comfortable, noisy hallways, although quiet after 10, breakfast OK. Nice walking path behind the hotel. Lots of dogs and little kids staying here although I realize the hotel doesn't have any control over that. Think I'll stay at another hotel in Astoria next time.

    « Hotel Stay »

The hotel room was very clean and comfortable room, the staff was friendly and they had just baked fresh complementary cookies when I arrived. I would consider staying here again on my next trip. However location is a bit odd and you enter through a UHaul parking lot to get to hotel parking. But once you know where you're going it good.

    « Solid lodging »

Comfortable bed; great breakfast; friendly staff; 24hr pool, spa and sauna. Was a little nervous as my room was beside ice machine and across from elevator, but noise was not an issue. Slight dust buildup in the corners of the room, but otherwise clean.

« Didn't want to do but wouldn't let me submit survey »

The staff and the room were very nice. We had a view of the river side. The remotes for the tv really need to be upgraded. Never can find a guide for what's on. Seems all best western have the same remotes. Otherwise the stay was fine.

« A great place to stay and relax »

This hotel was beautiful. The room was clean and the hotel was so quiet. We did not hear any other guests while we were there. The breakfast had quite a variety of items to choose from. The hotel even had recommendations of restaurants that would deliver food so we didn't have to drive around to try and find something to eat. Amazing experience!

    « Pleasant Surprise »

I must say when GPS guided us to this place we were a little worried. It is next to a Uhaul storage facility and it was backed to old railroad tracks. However, when you go inside you are met with friendly staff and check in went fast. The room was very clean and good size. Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced as part of the price. Everything was fresh, well made, and most important still warm. The staff were very attentive and asked if everything was to our satisfaction. They actually picked up our plate after we were done. Excellent staff both behind the counter and in the breakfast room.

    « Dull and expensive. »

Sad location, uninspired experience. The place is North of the bridge and fronts a shipyard of some sort. The place is dreary. We love Astoria and go a few times a year, and so we're disappointed to not be able to recommend it.

    « Worth the Stay! »

On our final stop in Oregon, we called the Best Western day before and got a nice upstairs room for 2 nights. The room was clean and quiet. The cost was reasonable for a last minute reservation. The hotel is modern, with an indoor pool, hot tub - plus a gym!. The morning breakfast is generous, good selection and staff continued to replenish the dishes. The scramble egg dish was excellent, make your own waffles, sausage, fruit, yogurt, different breads, etc. Front desk were friendly and helpful. A great way to start your day in exploring Astoria.

Where to start Timmi Greeted my wife and I with excitement and welcomed us to Astoria. She was happy to get us a room quickly and was able to get us a bay view room and signed us up for Best Western points and to top it of I found out I get a longshore men discount which I didn't know anything about. The room was big and very clean. The Breakfast was amazing there is no donuts there homemade style breakfast there the employees that work at Astoria Best Western were very polite no complaints at all I Highly Recommend This Hotel

    « Clean and Welcoming »

The room was clean and the service was amazing. We had my daughter's support dog with us and they allowed him to stay although they were a no pet hotel. Their options at breakfast were better than any other hotel I've visited. Patty was working in the breakfast area on Sunday morning 4/23 and she was literally waiting on the tables. Cleaning up dirty tables and throwing away dirty plates. She was so friendly and kind, it really made our experience 10 times better.

    « Passing Through Astoria »

In June 2016 I took a drive to visit the very North west corner of Oregon. We decided to book this Best Western and it turned out to be very pleasant stay. Front desk was very helpful, and grounds were kept clean and up to date. They have an indoor pool and hot tub that I took advantage of at night. The trolley is a bit of walk or you can take a cab to down town. The views from the hotel room were not bad but nothing great. I would definitely stay here again if was going to Astoria.

    « Three different prices ? »

Thought it was a little odd that I got a better deal on the room on a Friday night than a Sunday and wouldn't honor the price I had for Friday? Sunday night there were about 10 cars in the parking lot so I'm pretty sure they weren't booked.

« Charter Fishing Motel stay at Best Western »

« Excellent in fair weather, Very good in a storm »

I liked everything about this hotel. It was a special treat to have a light on in the room when I arrived which made it feel welcoming. The room was spotless, warm and welcoming. I had a view of the bay, though the majority of it is over a staging area of boats on land for the harbor. The bed was very comfortable. The bad news was that a storm blew in overnight and my door was shaking like someone was trying to break into my room. I finally got out of bed at 4;40 and stuffed a washcloth between the door and the jamb. It was tough going back to sleep. When I indicated this to the desk staff the next day they told me that there was nothing that they can do about it as the air and wind come in the air conditioners. It is obvious that this has occurred before and that they have not been able to do anything about it. So, if you stay on a windy night, stuff a washrag, a hundred dollar bill or something else as useful between the door and the jamb.

« Wonderful staff and clean accommodations!! »

Right as we walked in, we were greeted by TImmi. She then proceeded to check us in and made sure we got the best room and checked to see if we were ok with the room she gave us. She went out of her way to make us feel comfortable and even gave recommendations about places around town that we were interested in. Timmi was very friendly and welcoming. I hope whoever stays there gets to meet her. Our room was very clean, had no issues with anything. Continental breakfast was pretty good, way better than most hotels I have stayed in. All the staff I came in contact with was really nice. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Astoria.

I was very happy with the accomodations at the BW Astoria Bayfront Hotel. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is a mile or two from the center of the town, and I had no difficulty following directions given to me by the front desk staff.

Please don't change a thing about the breakfast. It's one of the deciding factors for us. . Lke the pool. Hot tub is great but maybe a little hot. Thought maybe it was just me, but several other people commented it was too hot. Friendly and helpful staff. Keep up the great job

« Great service, clean rooms, average facilities »

Our stay here was pretty great. The service was top notch: very friendly and accommodating staff. Great views from some rooms. Others overlook an old ship yard that is less than charming. Our room was very clean and up to date. Happy to see the recycle remote program in use. The spa and pool were a bit small; pool too cold, spa too hot and (I know this sounds weird, but...) had really aggressive jets. They sprayed over our heads quite a few times. Breakfast was decent; nothing to write home about, but it got the job done. Disappointed in the lack of dairy free options even though there is a sign saying to ask if you need them. Pretty much dry cereal and vanilla almond milk for you if you can't eat dairy.

« A last minute Spring Break Trip »

Our family has discovered BW in our recent travels in the last year. We love how clean the rooms are, the staff is friendly, and the BREAKFAST is over-the-top! This hotel did not disappoint! The pool & hot tub were relaxing, and much enjoyed. This time we brought our Jack Russell Terrier, and he enjoyed his stay, too! The B'fast is great! We love how much there was to offer: yogurt, fresh fruit, cereal, oatmeal, asstd breads, biscuits & gravy, sausage & eggs, as well as the Best Western Waffles! The 2 women working the cafe took care in talking to us and tending to questions, etc. I cannot say one bad thing about our stay. Thank you!

    5
« Very accommodating and helpful »

Front desk staff were helpful and friendly. Offered the best possible rate and upgraded our room at no additional charge. Knowledgeable and offered information when asked about local tourist attractions. Pool is small but adequate for water play fun. Breakfast had a great assortment and hot food served (only hotel in town that includes a hot, cooked breakfast). Entry a bit challenging to find the first time, but location is picturesque at mouth of Columbia River. Room is clean, comfortable, and updated.

    « Great Stay »

Stayed here for the first time while visiting family and it was so comfortable. The bed was wonderful, room was clean and staff was great. We had a jacuzzi room which also had a fireplace. Breakfast in the morning had many options. I would certainly choose to stay here again while in Astoria.

« Great value for the price! »

I travel to Astoria 3 weeks every year for work. The BW in Astoria is always my first choice. The hotel is clean and very tastefully decorated. Nice sized rooms and a breakfast bar that has something for everyone.

« Great service, comfortable beds! »

We had an unusual stay as my girlfriend was rather ill in the evening. When I went to the desk to try to get tissues and some salt (to help her soothe her throat,) the manager was more than accommodating, opening up the kitchen to get me a salt shaker for me to use. The whole time we were there the desk staff was helpful and quick. The room had plenty of basic amenities, and the shower/tub was great. The beds were comfortable and we slept well. The only downside was when I turned the heat on for a brief bit and the heater generated a smell that was a little off, and we had to open the window to vent it out.

« Quick overnight in Astoria »

This is by far the best Best Western I have stayed in... Why you ask? 1. Staff was amazingly friendly. 2. Breakfast was ample and great variety. 3. Room exceptionally clean. 4. Property well maintained. 5. Great towels..better than the norm at BW. 6. 24 hour pool and hot tub 7. Full fitness center. 8. Walking path behind location that takes you along the water 9. Great staff! A few things to note... 1. Outside of the core downtown 2. The drive through the Uhaul lot a little weird 3. Hard to take a left back on main drag Would highly recommend!

« Great Hotel in Astoria, Oregon »

This was a very nice hotel. The decor and staff were very nice. Everything was clean. Good restaurants, shops and breweries in town. The lady at the front desk gave us information about places to eat and breweries. The first restaurant, we felt was very 'touristy'. However, it had seals there, which was unique. We didn't end up eating there. However, the Silver Salmon had very good food and service. The Fort ...something brewery was also a great place.

    5
« Centrally located to all area attractions »

Great hotel that is centrally located to regions attractions. Placed at the edge of town so stays quiet. Hotel staff were professional and helpful about area activities. Great views of bay even with the and active port nearby. Easy walking path (1 mile) to town activities. Nearby stores make it easy to replace anything lost or forgotten.

    4
    « Getaway »

Very good motel on the west end of Astoria. Very comfortable beds and room. Amenities include pool, sauna, and hot tub. Full hot breakfast typical for Best Western. The view towards the water is marred by an old decrepit crane and a functioning saw mill. Very quiet, good location with access to all the tourist attractions.

    5
    « Comfort with a View »

Loved watching the ships coming and going. The staff is cordial and helpful. Amanda went above and beyond to help me. The bed was very comfortable. The internet was great too. Very relaxing to come to after a long work day. I stay here whenever I am in the area.

    5
« Nice Stay, Friendly Service »

Last minute stop on our road trip through the Pacific Northwest. Very clean and updated. Front desk staff was very warm and welcoming. The hot breakfast staff was very friendly! We've never had such polite, genuinely friendly hotel staff (everyone we came across)...we've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the country. My only complaint about this hotel is you could hear people walking around on the floor above us (we stayed on the second floor).

    5
« Great place to stay at a good price. »

Nice, clean room. Very quiet. Front desk was very accommodating and friendly, and offered us an available upgrade at no extra charge. Breakfast was very good, and coffee was great! Easy access to local restaurants and downtown area.

    3
« Good for One Night »

We needed a hotel for an extra night so booked this one, we thought it would have a nicer view than it did. We looked at an old dying ship yard. Huge disappoint as we came out here for the ocean and river view. Clean hotel, very nice staff. Good breakfast. Just no views.

    5
« Yummy Breakfast, Funny Entrance, Great Staff »

Choose this hotel for the reasonable price, was delighted with the really yummy breakfast. Biscuits, good coffee, fresh fruit, waffles, oatmeal, really tasty eggs/potatoes/sausage. What a surprise. The odd part is getting into the hotel lot, pay attention to your driving instructions and TURN RIGHT when it says to, then a quick LEFT, pass the U-Haul vehicles on both side of the driveway/street and you end up in the hotel parking lot. Beds were great, nice swimming pool and the staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. This hotel is right beside the bridge to Warrenton and you get to watch the log truck operations in action, with the ships coming in from the ocean in the background - there is a walking path, birds, and the trolley close by, that takes you right to the maritime museum and tons of places to eat or just stroll about.

    4
    « Astoria BW »

We enjoyed our stay in Astoria. The BW was right on the Columbia River so you had a nice view of the river beyond the riverwalk and forestry operation. It was a quick drive to good restaurants and easy access to the Oregon Coast. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Nice breakfast in the morning and yummy cookies in the afternoon.

    5
    « Astoria Get-Away »

Best Westerns are located all over the west. They vary greatly in appearance, cleanliness and food service. This Best Western was outstanding. Clean rooms, friendly staff, and the front desk manager fulfilled our requests for a view and quiet location. The breakfast cafe was staffed by an employee who made sure her buffet table was well stocked and tidy. We appreciated all the varied staff who made our stay outstanding...which we cannot say about many Best Western motels that are Owner; not corp., owned.

« a good place to stay in Astoria »

We'd always stayed in the center before, but couldn't find anywhere we liked this trip. We're really gad we stayed at this Best Western! We were close to the trolley and the shore, so it was fun to walk around. We were also very close to an excellent restaurant. Staff went out of their way to lead us to some good places to eat.

    3
« not what was confirmed »

Had reserved and received confirmation, that we would receive a king bed. Upon check-in, we were given a queen? size bed or smaller. Went to the main desk and was advised that she had no king rooms left, even though it had been confirmed. Just great. Somebody that came in after we were confirmed must have got out room. Nice.

    3
    « Quiet Comfortable Clean »

There are no surprises here, the room is clean the bed is comfortable. The lamps have plug-ins which is convenient to plug-in devices. Really good chocolate chip cookies are offered in the evening. The morning breakfast offered a lot of options. The TVs are very large and modern. My only complaint is the very dirty window. I am on the second floor and have a partial view of the bay and the sunset but the window is so dirty I don't even want to look at it.

    5
    « Great customer service! »

Stopped by to see if we could check-in early, only to find out that I had made the reservations for the wrong night. Amanda was able to fix it for me and was exceptionally kind and understanding about the mix-up. I was still able to check in early. The breakfast was great and Patty was very pleasant early in the morning. Fred, the front desk guy in the AM, was equally helpful and asked if we had any questions about the area before we left. Overall a wonderful experience, especially since we were only in town helping a friend move.

    4
    « Nice Stay »

Nice stay. Right now there is work being done on the bay in front of the hotel, but when this is completed it should be a much better view. We stayed here on the way to Olympic National Park driving from Portland. The rooms were nice, clean, and the staff very helpful.

    3
    « astoria experience »

room was ready before check in time. fred was very nice, helpful and accommodating. don't like the location coz it was hard to make a left on marine drive. no stop sign or stop light. only then did we know when we we checked out that we have to go round about to be able to go to the town center.

    3
    « Clean hotel »

This is a good choice to stay in Astoria. The staff is nice and helpful plus the hotel is clean. They have a good continental breakfast. It is a good location for the local attractions plus they give you a restaurant guide for the area.

    5
« Nice View, Nice People Nice Hotel »

Service at check in and during my stay was just fine. Everything worked. But pool was in renovation but for me I just work, no problem. The weather they provided was excellent. A great region to visit, was amazed at all the touring ships coming and going.

    4
    « Breathtaking Bridge View! »

Great location and easy to access. Comfortable beds, extremely clean inside the room and in the public areas. Helpful and pleasant staff. The free breakfast was nice, but seating was inadequate at 8:30 on a Saturday morning. Catering staff seemed to have trouble keeping up with the demand for coffee.

    4
« Great and with River Walk »

After "hours" of driving, and our Tillamook curds..the reception was welcoming, efficient.. We got a double queen room, big, clean and very comfortable beds. There is a very nice pool, workout room, but the river walk is very refreshing. Best Western had a full breakfast, sausage, biscuits & gravy, fresh fruit, etc...yes, yes, yes, ready for more miles ahead. thank you

« Astoria, Oregon Best Western »

The Astoria, Oregon Best Western is excellent....Definitely would stay there again. Beds were comfortable, rooms clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. Close to the Astoria River walk trail, bridge and the trolley. Good location.

    5
« Great place to stay »

This is a very clean, up to date, and well maintained property. The staff here are the best, very friendly and helpful. Great views of the river, very relaxing stay here. It is on the far end of town, but a very short walk to the start of the trolley line.

    5
    « fun sisters outing »

The staff friendly at the best western where helpful with information on area sites shopping and restaurants. The free breakfast nicely done ...lady in charge helpful and friendly room clean and inviting third floor view of water a nice bonus

    5
« Well recieved throughout my stay »

Check in and out went extremely well Great variety of choices for the breakfasts, including cereals, eggs, scrambled or omelet; meats, bacon or sausgage; waffle, fruit, yogurt, and lots more Room was well furnished and was clean and kept clean Nice view

    4
    « Astoria Riverfront... »

Wonderful welcome and immediately offered a move to a similar room on level 2, rather than the level 1 room that had been reserved. The room was clean and well appointed with a view over the docks, we would have been slightly disappointed had we been left on level 1 as the dock company have pushed a large pile of spoil in front of the hotel depriving level 1 rooms of any view. In the event we had no complaints about our treatment and found the hotel to be in a good location for visiting Astoria downtown. Breakfast was sometimes delivered late, not good if you had an early start, compared with similar BW hotels it was just adequate.

    5
    « Best western excellence »

I can't say enough how happy we have been staying with the Best Western Chain of hotels. In our many years of travel and use of the best western brand, we have had always counted on them for comfort and excellence. Best western Astoria, OR definitely lived up to this standard.

    5
    « Excellent property »

Surprised to see this is not a Plus property...found it to be excellent in every way. Check in was pleasant and everything handled in a prompt efficient manner with a "of course" attitude. So enjoy the chocolate chip cookies and the availability of coffee...we travel a lot and we look forward to this treat. Room was large, well equipped, very clean with a view of the harbor...yes it's slightly industrial, but nothing annoying...kind of fun to watch. The very best part is the yummy breakfast. Eggs are real, hot, and have added cheese. Potatoes are cooked fresh and served with sausage and biscuits and gravy. Cold entrees of every description are fresh and plentiful. The server who cares for the breakfast room treats you as if you are in her home...don't skip the breakfast!!! All in all, a really nice property. Location is a bit out of the main town area, but an easy drive. There is a fun local pub within a short walk.

    2
« Room too small and toilet problems... »

Overall we were not impressed. Had problems with toilet not working, hard to get help with luggage, room was too small and not as expected, breakfast did not have any organic options, room was overpriced for the value.

    4
« Excellent value with convenient location. »

Good value with nice views of Columbia River. Free parking, wonderful biking or walking track along the river just outside, convenient location for sight seeing, comfortable rooms and bedding. Staff very helpful and positive. Cookies are warm and tasty!

    5
« Secluded but not scenic in Astoria »

This hotel is located in an industrial area in Astoria, hardly scenic, but quiet and close to all attractions. It has a rustic contemporary decor and our room was spotless. The spa and pool are open 24 hours if you are 18 and up. The staff was very helpful and gave us a booklet "The Original Highway 101 Mile-by-Mile Guide" which was very helpful even though we have been along the coast a few times before. There are at least 5 plugs for charging electronics as well as a refrigerator and microwave. We stayed in a double queen and the beds were quite comfortable with an assortment of pillows.

  • 4
« Hotel is Astoria Oregon »

Room was well furnished. Beds comfortable. Breakfast was OK. Location was convenient. Not far from downtown, Highway 101 and restaurants. Friendly staff. Would have been nice if there was a way to recycle things in the room

    4
« Helpful People at Front Desk »

Our room overlooked the water, but a construction project is between the hotel and the water, so the view isn't amazing. However, the room was clean, bed comfortable, and rooms well-insulated so we heard no noise in the night, and every room was full! This is an older hotel. The pool was too small for me to swim laps. But a good sleep was the main thing.

    4
« Best Western in Astoria »

We like to show up unannounced; it's a bit risky and we do get turned away on occasion Travelling the Orgeon a Coast in September allowed us to get away with that strategy. After no vacancy at HI, we hit the BW in Astoria and were pleasantly surprised. Not fancy, but clean. Full breakfast was fine but offered in a room that's a bit small; got a bit crowded at 8:30.... Timmi at the front desk was tremendous; friendly; gave us a great restaurant recommendation for dinner ?? Location provides a nice view of the Columbia River mouth; walking path right behind the hotel, although we didn't go for a walk, it looked good; others using it The hotel entrance was a little unusual; you have to drive through the UHaul lot to get to it; not a big issue, just a little strange Good rate; if you're just passing through like we were, it's a nice option

    4
    « A Quiet Nights Sleep »

Located on the edge of town...not very scenic, however, the room was clean & quiet and the bed was comfortable. The pool is so small it's not worth mentioning. Breakfast is good and the staff working it are wonderful.

    4
« Nice hotel and quiet »

Although near the road, the rooms are quiet and well insulated. View nothing to write home about but clean, comfortable and a good place to stop on a tour of Oregon coast. Down the road at sunset beach is as the name suggest a great place to watch sunset. The town Astoria didn't seem to offer much. Breakfast was ok. Fitness room ok. Laundry room had washing and drying machines which were fast and functioned well. Staff very friendly and helpful.

    3
    « Pretty good »

The location is amazing, the parking lot is well lit and the price was exceptional . The rooms are towards the smaller size. The beds felt like cardboard when sitting in them but we slept very well. The breakfast was okay I would stay there again.

    3
    « Beep Beep Beep »

Some other reviews mention this. The property is advertised as having 'views of the bay', and you can see it in the distance. Next to the property, however, is a boat/equipment storage area, an area being filled with dirt and a timber yard. From 7 in the morning on the weekdays, you hear trucks driving in, bulldozers and log loaders' backup alarms until they shut down late in the afternoon. The property itself is kept up well, and its hot breakfast is very comprehensive and very good. The pool is nice, and so is the hot tub. Just be prepared to drive through a commercial area to get to it and to listen to the activity.

    5
    « Immaculate & comfortable »

This was a great location for overnight stay passing through Astoria to the Columbia River Gorge area. The rooms were very nicely appointed and the hotel had everything we needed. The checkin clerk was very helpful after a long day recommending delivery food options. We used our time there to use their laundry facility and relaxed in the indoor swimming pool and hot tub. A very nice hot breakfast was also supplied.

    3
« over priced for location »

Hotel is located in industrial/commercial area. The " bay view " is somewhat over stated as the "bay view " is over a construction area that looks like it is going to be a log yard. The people at the front desk , Amanda and Fred , were great and the room was o.k..

    5
« First trip to Astoria »

This is an excellent hotel on the water. Easy walking paths. Very clean and comfortable. Spacious rooms. Great breakfast and pool with hot tub. Kid friendly and easy access to all local attractions. Would definitely stay there gain.

    « Nice location »

Very friendly staff and pet friendly. We travel with two dogs and they were very good and no barking. We loved it. We had left our Oral B toothbrush and the front desk staff called and let us know, since we were going to Tillamook, OR for the day we just stopped by and picked it up. Glad that the hotel was proactive in letting us know that it got left and I did not have to figure it out when we got home.

    3
    « OVER PRICED »

Over priced for what you get!!! Took two attempts to find the hotel, down a side street, with poor marking, No view, bath robe's, after returning from dinner was one remote parking space. The Pool was on the cool side and hot tub jets were poor!! Room and Staff were Fine just way over priced for what you get!!!!

    2
    « Not a value at all »

We were desperate for a hotel in the area on a Friday night in the summer and chose the Best Western in Astoria. It is located under a bridge right off the highway and is dark and depressing. We would have been OK with this for one night if the cost had not been at least double what we think is fair.

    5
« Another Superb Stay in Astoria Best Western »

We stayed again at the Best Western Astoria. We had a nice king size room with comfortable chair and a nice microwave-refrigerator area. Service was good. They have a 24 hour swimming pool and also a small library. Our view from the room was of the water, We enjoyed their complementary cookies upon check-in. They also have a complementary breakfast in the morning. Overall, we had a very nice stay in Astoria.

    4
    « Nice Hotel »

The Best Western is a nice hotel to stay in Astoria. It is at one end of town but it is clean and staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Beds are comfortable and complimentary breakfast is pretty standard but suitable. Could not hear any sea lions at this hotel at all because it is quite a distance from where they are. I enjoy walking the pathway behind the hotel which is next to the Columbia River.

    4
« Good place to stay in Astoria »

We stayed here one night before we went out fishing. The location is perfect to get to the marinas easily. The bed was very comfortable. The view left something to be desired, but we weren't there for that anyway.

    2
« Rude Front Desk Staff »

Pre-charging of reservation debit card before checkin when I used credit card at check-in. Terribly rude, condescending, front desk staff. Housekeeping knocking at door to clean room before our checkout not appropriate. No way to resolve issue. Hotel not willing to listen or consider options to resolve. Fred at front desk should not work hospitality business. He was rude to several groups of guests that I observed. Overpriced room and bayfront means view of industrial area at the water.

    4
« Clean, the title of the hotel is a little deceptive »

Convient location, not far from the Astoria-Megler Bridge. Clean rooms. The title of the hotel says Bayfront, but the water is a ways away. Actually, the view from our room was of a boat graveyard. The pool & spa area was nice, but see some dirt in the corners.

    5
    « A nice hotel »

I was very happy with my stay. When I travel I generally choose BW and they certainly earn their credit. The breakfast was a nice array of foods including omlettes, fruit and cereal. T The room was clean and nicely kept. Kuddos BW team.

    4
    « Short but sweet »

We had a getaway...found this reasonable rate and nice place...not going to focus on the sad surroundings of a dirt construction site, rather our river view..which,tho not a full on view, still entertaining ..great morning breakfast "served" by sweet ladies..nice indoor pool..pool was cold..hot tub better..not the perfect location for bridgeviewing, but quiet and very clean...Front desk gentleman super friendly..made a little error on our billing at check out..no big deal..overall..not bad at all...

    « Good BW »

Great staff, great location, Astoriais a fun place to visit. The best Western there is worth the price of admission. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, breakfast is good. Over the past few years it seems like Bestwestern's been getting more expensive but this place is worth your dollar.

    4
    « Clean and friendly! »

Our room was clean and all of the staff was very friendly. The kids had a great time at the pool and there was a good variety for breakfast. We had a great view of some old fishing boats and the water.

    5
« Wonderful place to stay »

Our room was nice, as was the view from our room, but what made this hotel extraordinary was the breakfast and the two ladies who worked in the kitchen area. Thè scrambled eggs and hash browns were seasoned with fresh herbs, and waited on people...filling up their coffee, getting condiments, and actually served one woman who used a cane!

    4
« Good place for rest »

Good, comfortable place of rest when traveling. Location was difficult to make entrance; vague. Surroundings strange - storage business? But nice staff, good bed, clean; served the purpose for rest in travel.

    4
« Nice Hotel in Astoria »

This is a nice Best Western hotel in Astoria, Oregon. There is a pool/spa and continental breakfast. It is in a good location by the bridge at the end of the point. There are lots of soda, snack, and ice machines.

    5
    « Not Cheap! »

We were in upstairs room 434 and everything looked clean. Two queen beds with fridge/freezer and the usual furniture. Widow faced the Columbia River, but could only open about three or four inches. Comfy beds and great A/C ...and toilet paper! Large sink counter area. Seat height toilet and tub/shower in separate room. Very big bath towels. We're Platinum Members, so we received a 'goodie bag' at check-in and also some more stuff at check-out. They had cookies for everyone on the front desk area too. The breakfast had plenty of everything. Has an elevator. Lastly, Timmi and Amanda were super at check-in.

    5
« Quality pet friendly stop »

Extremely helpful staff, reasonable value and well presented property. Far greater quality than other common pet friendly options. Would recommend the Astoria - BW for anyone stopping to enjoy the area.

    4
    « Last Minute Find »

The property is fairly new, clean and in good shape. The front desk staff -- especially Timmi -- was very helpful and friendly. Our room on the 2nd floor looked over a lumber yard, but in the distance you could see the river. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was hearty.

    5
« Best Western Astoria Oregon »

This is a very comfortable hotel--good value for money. It's location is at the beginning of the town and thus close to shops, restaurants, and beautiful scenery. The staff is helpful and the breakfast was everything we could ask for.

    5
    « Really great room...great breakfast... »

Excellent hotel in the town of Astoria. Awesome front desk and maintenance staff! The lady at the desk gave us a brochure and quickly shared with us some of the great things to see in Astoria and gave us some inside local information! It was great. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Just what we needed. Thank you so much!

  • 4
    « No complaints »

Good size room, clean & comfortable beds . Friendly staff on reception. Breakfast plenty & attentive service . Drive 5 mins into Astoria town centre for good selection of restaurants which is a bit too far to walk to. Perhaps a little on the expensive side for what it is but no complaints

« Great Stay at Best Western Astoria »

We checked in on a Friday morning. The front desk staff were very friendly. We were checked in in a matter of minutes -and they had delicious cookies. Our room was clean and exactly what you would expect from Best Western. Their free breakfast was outstanding! They had an indoor pool. We didn't use it but it looked inviting. I would definitely come back and stay here next time we visit Asoria.

    4
« Good location, a bit far from downtown but good views »

The hotel was in good condition - looked to be recently remodeled. Rooms were very clean. Some rooms had river views. Staff was friendly. The hotel is a little ways from downtown, but its on the bike path if you want to ride or walk there along the water. The indoor pool is quite small. Breakfast was good. They recently changed the name from the Lincoln Inn to avoid confusion with Lincoln City, OR.

    5
    « Astoria visit »

A nice, clean room. Also a nice library/business center that I needed to use during my stay. Breakfast was pretty standard, but there were options to suit most tastes. Unusual that they wanted the names of all room occupants, but they weren't jerks about it. I would stay there again.

    3
« Love the location. Wish they would let me use my points! »

I'm having a heck of a time finding a Best Western that will allow me to use my accumulated points for a room night. This is yet another one that does not offer rooms if you plan to pay with Best Western rewards nights. Both the location and the service at this hotel are great. Breakfast is average. Biscuits were a bit stale, but hey, they were free. I would give 4 stars if they let me use my points. There is a nice walking trail right behind the hotel that goes out to the shore.

    4
    « Good Stay - Superb Internet »

We missed the initial turn off the main road into this property as the signage is very poor. You need to watch for a sign that is about 2' x 2' that is sitting off US 101 about 20 ft. It is in front of a U-Haul rental location. The hotel owners should consider a larger sign or, if possible, move the sign to the side of US 101. Our room was nice and large and included a bench for setting suitcases and a large closet with a suitcase rack. The closet is large enough to allow you to keep a good size suitcase open to easily access items. The room includes a vanity in the hallway and a large wet bar in the main room that includes a good size refrigerator and microwave. The counter for the wet bar is over 4' wide that had plenty of space for our snacks and ice chest.. There is an easy chair in the room but it is not well located as it sits beside the TV. I pulled the chair across the room between a night stand and the wet bar. The TV is a good size and just about right for the size room. Internet was very good and I was able to complete a software update that I was not able to complete in another Best Western hotel I stayed at for the past six days. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. I was worried when I found our room was near the elevator and across from the ice machine but I only heard someone use the ice machine once. Otherwise all was very quiet. Breakfast was solid with all the items I would expect to find. I enjoyed their sausage gravy. Also, they have a new waffle maker that has the updated Best Western logo in the center. They also had a Belgian waffle maker available. The coffee was a little weak but the orange juice was delicious!!

    5
« Great views of the bridge and the sea, away from the town centre »

East of the bridge and a little tricky to find the first time, the north facing rooms have amazing views across the river and the sights and sounds of the sea almost in your room, pretty cool! Good walking in the area and a good walk to the centre of town takes a gentle 30 minutes with lots to explore. Good breakfast and very pleasant staff, stayed 2 times now and will be back again for sure. The west wing has been updated since we were here last and the rooms are very good now, we were right beside the elevator and barely noticed it over the sound of the outside river and sea.

    « Relaxing refuge for weary beach-goers! »

After a packed day at the beach razor clamming, flying stunt kites, and surf casting, we came here happy and tired, covered in salt spray and sand. The entrance is a little odd, tucked behind the U-haul, but it's a lovely building with friendly staff and it's situated right by the river walk and trolley. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely consider staying here again!

« Great Hotel In Astoria »

I have stayed at other hotels in Astoria but wanted to try out the Best Western Lincoln Inn. Excellent hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Good location. The interior was very clean and remodeled. Rooms were very nice and super comfortable bed. I would recommend for sure.

    3
    « Dark and Expensive »

First let's start with the positive-the cookies and coffee were abundant and tasty. The not so great features were the dark rooms and hallways. Additionally, although we booked in advance we were given a room above the 24 hour pool (not a recipe for a good sleep). Our stay came with a continental breakfast that was not bad. I found our room tight and difficult to navigate around with a family of four. I thought it was over priced.

    « Splurge for a great night »

Get the room with the fireplace and jacuzzi for a wonderful night. The staff was extremely friendly . The bed was very comfortable.. The room was very clean with good lighting. Includes the usual breakfast and wifi. There is a nice short trail behind the inn that walks by a lumber yard or goes into the main area of town.

« Good place, away from the downtown area »

Booked this as we were traveling to Rockaway beach. Spent 4th of July here. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean, nothing fancy. Sink was outside of the rest of the bathroom which I don't care for. Not a bad nights stay.

    « On the bay... »

Enjoyed a spacious corner king room here. Up to date. Clean and comfortable. Comfortable beds. Large variety of hot foods and continental fare for breakfast. Hotel property at the walking trail along the river. Riverfront views. I would recommend this hotel in Astoria.

« Comfortable and Clean Pet Friendly Visit »

I think one of the many reasons we enjoy staying at the Best Western is because they always provide us with excellent service. This time we took our dog with us on our trip and it was nice knowing that the Lincoln Inn was pet friendly. Upon arrival we were greeted by the front office staff who made the check in process easy. They provided us with pet rules, along with a small treat for our pup. The room was very comfortable and everything was spotless. The amenities here are great, they have a pool, sauna and hot tub open 24hrs for adults, and children until 10pm.

    « Astoria Visit »

Average Best Western. Breakfast was okay but the area so small guests were standing around and the staff not patient or helpful. Obviously a busy season but didn't the management know that???Service staff was below average. Would not stay there again. Check elsewhere if you can. Astoria is a nice place to visit.

    5
« Best Western Lincoln Inn Excellent Staff »

Upon both check in and check out, the staff was exceptional. Timmie was most welcoming. Our room on the 3rd floor had an incredible view of the river and outlet to the ocean. I will rate staff service from now on based upon the service provided by the staff of this particular Best Western.

    5
« Very nice place to stay »

This hotel is located in the downtown area and has a nearby walking trail which extends along the shore. It is about 1/2 mile from the Columbia River Maritime Museum. The museum and old town area are best visited via an automobile

« Wonderful First Experience in Astoria »

The room was wonderful, clean and comfortable. The hot breakfast was amazing and my children loved the choices especially the waffles. What really set this hotel apart was the staff. Everyone was so helpful, professional, kind and went that extra step for you. Each of them should be acknowledged for their efforts. I would not look anywhere else to stay in Astoria than this hotel.

    4
« Solid choice in Astoria »

Solid choice in Astoria, just west of the downtown area, with views of the Columbia River. Everything you would want in a Best Western property, simple rooms and breakfast. Only downside is that the parking lot was a little tough to find - you go through a U-Haul to get there.

    5
    « Great Visit »

Stayed here twice, within a week. Absolutely great service by all staff members. Rooms are as expected; clean, comfortable, well equipped. Room directly above the pool area was a bit noisy when all the kids & crowds were there, but quieted down later. Breakfast is quite a knotch better than all the other 'free breakfast' places, in view of all other comparisons. I would return and stay again. Front desk, Fred, is a wonderful guy, and, an asset to the hotel. I'm sorry, but I forgot her name; the lady in charge of the breakfast room is another wonderful doll!

    « Anniversary »

The hotel was modernized (granite and slate). The beds were comfy, the sheets were clean. The breakfast was good and filling. The hot tub and pool were nice. The sauna door was broken and therefore less than what I hoped for.

« Good choice for Astoria. »

Good choice for a stay in Astoria. Tricky to find the first time. But very helpful, friendly staff and big clean room. Location good for visits to Astoria and outings on the Oregon coast and the Washington coast. Very comfy beds.

    5
« Wonderful staff....warm & friendly from the front desk to the maintenance man! »

This motel was a breath of fresh air! Nicest people working there. Helpful with anything you needed. We stayed in the King Suite and the views were spectacular! Not to mention the sunset! Will stay again and refer this motel to everyone! Thanks!

« More than adequate and really convenient »

We didn't have reservations, so we felt fortunate they had a few rooms for us to choose from. The room was narrow and filled with furniture, which could be a problem for people with limited mobility. The breakfast room was also small and crowded, and the food was not up to par with other Best Western hotels.

    5
« Great stay and a great value »

I really have come to appreciate and look for Best Western Hotels. They have proven to be consistently clean, comfortable. In addition they seem to hire and or train staff to be helpful and pleasant. I will continue to seek them out.

    4
« Wonderful location, walking path and nice river view »

Really like the hotel a lot. Beds were soft and comfy, rooms clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was good, love the waffles! We traveled with a dog and their was quiet a bit of grassy areas to walk her, besides a walking path that goes along the water. We lived in Astoria back in the70's and wanted to visit our old home after 40 years. We were glad we chose BW and were impressed with the accommodation and location.

    3
« Not my cup of tea »

We stayed at the Best Western Lincoln Inn while we spent two days in Astoria. Normally we never stay at Best Westerns and I must say that I won't repeat the experience. The hotel is "ok". But it's old and the rooms are small and dark. The location leaves a lot to be desired as the hotel backs onto a boatyard and fronts a highway and u haul rental place.

    5
« Good time in Astoria »

This hotel has a view of the bay in Astoria and access to a bay walk. The drive way to the hotel, however, is a little difficult to find. The breakfast was good even for vegetarians as there were waffles, fresh fruit, muffins, and even almond milk for the cereal.

    5
    « Comfortable hotel »

The Best Western Hotel in Astoria Oregon was convenient and comfortable for us. The room was very clean. The bed felt wonderful after a long day on the road. The location was quiet. We did not hear any noise during our stay. We were not able to walk to any restaurants, but we didn't mind driving around to visit the town. And, not having a lot of activity around made the location quiet.

    4
    « a grea stop over »

a good room and views. cool on a hot day. manic breakfast too many people in a small room.location good to go south or north over bridge but a little out of main town. easy access to the main road although entrance could be better signed

« Always clean and up to date »

The best thing about this Best Western is that it always seems to be brand new. Never worn down. Check in is always friendly... And they have cookies at the checkin. Good breakfast. I've stayed here many times and they have never ran out of anything. Oh, and there is a new waffle maker. It's close to downtown so it's easy to find a good restaurant. Almost forgot- very comfortable bed and quiet. Good wifi.

    3
    « WONDERFUL Staff! »

The only reason im giving it an average rather than an Excellent is due to the price. it was a little over $200.00 tax included for one night stay in a double queen room. The room was very small along with the bathroom. In my opinion it was a lot for one night. I travel often and to Astoria at least 9-15 times a year to visit my parents. My mothers medical care givers sleep in the home so there is no where for us to stay but a hotel when we visit. It is close to the average price in that area unfortunately but I LOVED the staff!! They were wonderful and sweet! I would love to stay there again but the price was too much for me to add on top of driving 7 hours and gas.

    4
« Nice View and location »

My husband and I stayed here. It was clean and comfortable. Love that they provide lots of towels. Breakfast offered lots of options and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps our only objection is that you can hear your neighbors walking in their room above you or talking in the hallways. The location is fine and the town is near by.

    5
    « Clean, Quiet, Cozy. »

The rooms were very nice. Comfortable, had a nice warm feel to them. I like this place cause its a bit further up toward the coast so the sea lions are nearly as loud. Its a bit confusing at first to get into the lot, but nothing terrible. I would recommend.

    4
« Clean, comfortable and well run -- but poorly built and located ... »

The floors are so thin you can hear the people above you walking around. Kids running down the passages thunder through the floors -- and somebody just walking overheard woke me at 3am in the morning. The hotel is awkwardly located at what looks to be the back end of a U-Haul parking lot -- that you have to drive through to get to. Reasonable WiFi bandwidth and a pretty good "free" breakfast included.

    3
« Nice Facility in a Strange Location »

The motel is very nice with great rooms and facilities. However, the location is strange to say the least. It is at the very end of town, and hard to find as it does not have direct access from the Highway. If you see the small sign and turn off the highway then have to see a second small sign and turn down between old old industrial buildings to get to the motel. It is essentially in an industrial area. On top of that one would expect a fantastic view of the Columbia River and what you get is a view to the south of the parking lot or Highway, and view to the north of an old abandoned (?) boat yard with old commercial fishing boats of rusting hulls or rotten wood. For the rates they charge on would expect much more.

    5
« This hotel was very good »

My self and a friend were staying in Astoria to be able to ride a US Naval Destroyer from Astoria to Portland Or. for the Rose Festival. My friend had a small pocketknife that would be construed to be a weapon. The Navy would not let my friend go on the ship with it. My friend asked the clerk at the checkin desk if she could mail the pocketknife to his home. She offerd to mail the pocketknife for him and found a small box for him to put it in. He gave her some money to cover the cost. He didn't want to lose his pocketknife. I think it was very nice of the Desk Clerk to do this.

    4
« Good value for money »

Rooms are a bit dated but clean. Beds are comfortable. Breakfast is ok. Check-in and check-out was flawless. Staff was friendly. Suggestion for all Best Western breakfast offers: please add grenola!! The entrance to the driveway of the hotel is a bit weird.

    4
    « Well Done! »

Beautiful Hotel! The interior from the lobby to the hallways and even into the rooms is elegantly decorated. Location is right on Young's Bay giving an amazing view. It is also situated right at the outside edge of Astoria and close to Seaside. Food and shopping in these cities is good for coastal towns. Overall, we had a great getaway with meals at Baked Alaska and at Doogers!

    5
    « Peaceful »

The room was clean and comfortable with all expected amenities. Breakfast was fulfilling food was fresh and hot although just had sausage wish had bacon too. The view was excellent looking out across the bay to the Columbia Bar. Location was quiet and peaceful away from the harbor and downtown. But still close to town. The hot tub was considerably better than many other hotels definitely enjoyed it. Front staff was friendly allowed us to check in early to relax on hot day. Will definitely return to this hotel when going back to Astoria again.

  • 5
    « Most comfortable beds! »

Loved, loved, loved the beds! Best hotel beds we have slept in, and the pillows actually support your head unlike the limp crappy pillows most other hotels have. The room had a view of the water, although there is a shipyard between the hotel and the water. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of options both hot and cold.

    5
    « Comfortable and Enjoyable »

Love this place. The rooms are ample and bed comfy and cozy. Breakfast buffet is one of the best of the Oregon Coast. Lots of eggs, sausage, potatoes, waffles, pastries, fruit, juices and DELICIOUS coffee. Housekeeping is always helpful. Front desk people are friendly and professional.

    5
« Would not hesitate to return! »

Nice, clean and comfortable rooms. Pleasant and professional staff. Better than average complimentary breakfast. Pet friendly to boot! Wasn't planning on being too picky as I was planning late for a holiday weekend, but overwhelmingly exceeded expectations!

    5
    « Excellent facility! »

Our view was great as requested, the room was clean and just right, breakfast was very satisfactory every day, and the access to in and out of location was quite good. We would stay there again whenever we are in thea rea as it met our needs exceedingly well.

    5
« Our home away from home in Astoria »

We always stay at the Best Western Lincoln Inn when we travel to Astoria. The price is reasonable and the staff are amazing. The beds are very comfortable and we don't hear the sea lions barking all night.

    5
« Nice hotel, right on the Astoria waterfront. »

The hotel is located in the waterfront district, right at the entrance to the Columbia River. Clean, quiet rooms with very comfortable beds away from highway traffic and noise, yet handy to both bridges. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast nook had basic selections. Opt for a room on the river side to see marine traffic in the bay.

    4
    « Wonderful front desk!! »

Started out with a room with some lingering smoke odor. ( This is a 100% non smoking BW). Kudos to Amanda at the front desk!! Was immediately upgraded to a 'fresh' room. Clean, great beds, good location. We'll be back.

    3
    « Convenient location »

This Best Western hotel is in a great location. We had a great view of the bridges and as long as you dont use the heater or A/C or bathroom fan it is a very quiet experience. The hotel was full each night yet it surprised me at how quiet the room was and we couldnt hear all the children which were staying with their parents. There were a few issues. A) dog crap in parking lot and dogs allowed in the hotel. Dogs were not controled by their owners and were seen urinating and defecating on and near cars and in pathways people walk on. B) windows missing screens C) breakfast items running out D) beds were too soft E) heater / A/C a d fans sounded like something put of a nightmare movie Not enough seating in the rooms, (we tried two different rooms) each room had one worn out office chair and one uncomfortable cushioned chair. Rooms were clean. View were great, most of the employees were very pleasant and helpful

« Best Western Lincoln Inn Astoria Oregon »

This was such a nice hotel! I will definitely use it again! Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and a wonderful breakfast. Great view from our room of the river/ocean. Professional and courteous staff were extremely helpful.

« Friendly service is great. »

On our repeat visit we had the joy of seeing what real customer service is like. When we could not get our room heater to work we called the front desk an got immediate assistance. When they could get to work the moved us to a room that the heater that did. Always willing to go the extra effort to make sure our stay was nothing but the best. We will be back to stay again.

« good service, terrible location »

The staff was friendly and helpful but the location was terrible. The views are of piles of lumber and cranes and the drive in made me think that I was lost in a really bad part of town. Beds were hard, and i think breakfast would have been good, but they were having a wedding party in there at the time we tried to go and the room was packed, so we left.

    4
    « Good Central Location »

Best Western Astoria offers a very good location when exploring both Astoria and areas south (Seaside, Canon Beach). It is away from the heavy touristy part of Astoria, sitting at the north end of the bridge heading south to Seaside areas. This hotel is also very close the to Coast Guard Air Station for those Coasties needing a hotel. Nice inside pool and hot tub away from the cool ocean breezes.

    4
    « Better than average »

We've stayed in a lot of Best Western hotels, some much better than others. This one had many pluses -- lovely king bed, large vanity area separate from toilet/shower room, quiet, wonderful gluten-free breakfast options, and a super-friendly front desk staff. We didn't have much of a view, but otherwise the stay was a very pleasant one. Keep up the good work, guys!

    4
    « Friendly hotel »

A nice Best Western, and we have stayed here before. However....we were here for the Crab and Wine Festival to attend on the Friday afternoon. The hotel told us the shuttle bus would pick us up at 4 PM. It didn't show up until after 5! My advice would be to drive yourself to the festival site and pay the $15 parking fee or walk down the street to the shuttle bus stop there. At least you won't be left standing for an hour.

    « GREAT STAY »

I wasnt sure when I booked this hotel how great and clean this hotel was, but once we checked in and walked into our room i knew i made a great choice. Rooms were not outdated and they offer breakfast which was a plus!

    4
« Great place, good breakfast. »

It's a nice place, newer. Had a great breakfast! The view is ok, unless you are hoping to see the ships. Your view here is of a walking path out front, and a lumber yard. You do get to see some water, and you can see ships coming or going, but they are further away. We slept good, comfortable. Friendly place.

    « Pleasant stay! »

My husband and I stayed at Lincolin in for 3 nights over the Easter weekend. When we were checking in, the front desk staff was alone and several of us were there to check in at the same time. She was very efficient but also very courteous. I observed her handling an issue very professionally with one of the guests checking in. So I was already impressed as I am a trainer who has delivered some customer service training.(^o^) We got a corner room with full view of river. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable. Chocolate chip cookies at the front desk were nice touch and delicious!

« Lets get the business center fixed, right? »

If you offered an amenity like WiFi or a business center which did not provide basic functions, you would miss everyone's expectations. Lets get the business center fixed, right? As for the room I was very happy, being a lite sleeper having a quiet room next to the stair case and a utility closet was great (Jack pot)! Maybe there was no one upstairs from me?

  • 3
    « It was ok, I guess »

We booked this hotel on a last minute trip to the beach with the family. Based on the price I was thinking the hotel was going to be better. The rooms were small and the beds were horrible. They did accept pets which was nice and the breakfast was your average hotel breakfast. The staff was super nice and very attentive to our needs.

    5
« Quality, Value, Everything You Need »

As with other Best Westerns I've stayed in, the Lincoln Inn, Astoria offered clean, well-appointed rooms. The decor was up to date and pleasant. The continental breakfast is a great perk and offered hot dishes like eggs, sausage and biscuits, as well cold cereals, toast, bagels, yogurt, juices and all the other things you might expect. The pool was clean and was one of the main reasons we chose to stay at the Lincoln in as I was traveling with kids. Plus, the warm cookies in the lobby were a welcome treat. I feel like I can always count on Best Western for everything I need on a vacation at a great price.

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

This hotel was very well maintained and nicely decorated. Excellent bed, TV and other furnishings in the rooms. Walls are a bit thin, so there was a bit of noise from the hallway. Breakfast area was well stocked, but a bit small for the number of guests.

    5
    « Storm watching »

We had a 4th floor suite and really enjoyed watching the storm that came in while we were there. It was a corner room with windows on two sides. Had a love seat which we turned towards the river view window. Great place to watch the storms and stay dry and cozy.

    5
« Great stay and price »

Good price, hot tub and indoor pool was so nice while it was gusty and rainy outside, the rooms were very nice and comfortable, and they had fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies when we arrived! Friendly staff too was greatly appreciated.

    « motel review »

We had a good stay but the wind was causing the back bottom entry door to be unsafe. A strong wall of metal and very strong glass should be in place to stop the door from being dangerous. Growing up on the coast I am very aware of this fact. Just some common sense for safety.

« Best Western in Astoria »

I was in Astoria Feb `17, 2016 and stayed one night at the Astoria Lincoln Inn. It was a lovely place for a very reasonable price. Located back behind some warehouses so don't be surprised by that. But the room was very nice and clean and the staff great. I had a view of the river and the bridge. The room was spacious and, while not walking distance to restaurants in bad weather, it is a close drive. I definitely recommend this nicely appointed, very pleasant motel. Very nice particularly for the price

    4
    « Clean and quiet »

We stay at Best Western hotels whenever we can because of places like this. The rooms are clean, quiet, and comfortable. The decor made me feel like I was on a ship. Definitely felt like we were at the coast. The breakfast was great and included in the room price. Great place to stay in Astoria!

« Fred is your man »

My partner and I stayed in March for one night and had an excellent experience. We never stay in hotels, usually camping. But we decided we wanted to spring for a hot tub and warm shower after a couple days of sea kayaking. We compared deals in town and found Best Western to have the best price for the amenities we wanted. When we arrived Fred gave us a great deal on a room with a king sized bed (we had expected to get a double queen). Fred told us everything we needed to know about the amenities and was very warm and inviting. We had fun exploring the local breweries and Maritime Museum.

« Nice, clean and friendly staff! »

We had a great 3 night stay at this hotel, the rooms are a bit small but ok. We did have some issues with the heating/air in the room but wasn't in the room long enough to worry about it. Pool, breakfast and all were great!

    4
« Pet friendly and very nice employees »

The manager was very pleasant to us - a couple of frazzled walk ins looking for a pet friendly room for the night. The hotel itself is clean and well managed. My only complaint is that the rooms are small and dark. This is something even the best management can't change. The lobby has fresh cookies. There are good dog walks near by.

    3
    « Dog friendly... »

Not my favorite Best Western, they all are not the same....having a dog relegates you to the dog rooms....this room was on the ground floor, tiny room, window that you could only open about 2 inches.....not much view of the river. The room for me was not friendly and I felt it was a little clammy....doggy smell maybe. Definitely won't stay here again on our trips south every year.....we tried it, disappointing....breakfast was acceptable . Not much to say about the hotel.....seemed old. Front desk lady was very nice and helpful.....

    4
« Comfy and good value »

We stayed at BW in Astoria with our 2 dogs. Usually we get the "well used" rooms when traveling with pets, so I don't get my hopes up. Our room at BW Astoria was an unexpected, pleasant surprise. We reserved a deluxe double queen, for the extra space. The room was spacious, new decor, and clean. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The breakfast was a hotel quality breakfast, but was a full breakfast, including protein selections. The pool was comfy temperature. I've stayed at this property several times, and will continue. This property overlooks the river, but does back up to an industrial area, so there's an interrupted view. Doesn't bother me, however. Also, the regular rooms are on the small side, so can seem a little cramped with the furniture. Fine for a shorter stay. Overall, this is a good choice for the money. Thanks Best Western! Kudos to the breakfast room attendant. Great job!

    5
« Great Room and Decor and Allows Pets (in some rooms) »

We had to book at the last minute and chose this Best Western based on others reviews. The location is great, with access to the river walk and plenty of open ground for walking the dog. The staff is friendly, appreciative, and seemed to be well trained. The hotel is clean and nice, even the pet room we were in was clean in fine detail.

« Decent place and price »

The room was small but nice furniture was stuffed in every corner but it was clean and the bed was great.... Cons: lighting in bathroom was very dim and other guests on the 3rd floor it seemed to be the same group a large family were constantly walking by our room loudly and unfortunately our room was right across from the elevator. Had we been staying more than the night we would have asked to be moved. Other than that it was well priced for the area clean and comfortable.

« The Coast with the Most »

    « Enjoyable Stay »

Just spent 2 nights here. We had a room in the newer section that came with a decent view of the river in spite of the constant rain. Our room was clean, we had a comfortable bed, it was quiet and did the job. The only complaint was that the wifi was painfully slow at times. We used the pool with the grandkids and had a decent breakfast each morning. The price was right as well. For what you get, this seems to be a good option in Astoria.

    5
« Clean and nicely furnished with AAA discount »

We loved staying here. Very clean, nicely furnished, good price, friendly staff. The breakfast was exceptionally good. We had sausage, cheesy eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffle, juice, coffee, and hot chocolate!! We had our doggy with us and the room was not a lesser room because of the pet. Plan to stay here again. We usually RV it but once in a while, nice to just get a room and this motel is a very good choice!

    4
    « Nice newer units »

We stayed in the new addition - the room was very nice. It is a bit of a walk into the center of town, but the path along the water in nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was average.

« Best Western Lincoln Inn, good value for money »

We have family in northwest Oregon, so frequently travel to Astoria to visit them. The Best Western Lincoln Inn is a fine place to stay. The pool and hot tub are fun for our grandchildren to swim and relax in as well. The room is comfortably furnished, with two guest chairs as well as the bed. Amenities are the usual. We recommend this hotel very highly.

« Great Place to stay in Oregon »

    « A mixed bag »

Pros: recently updated; beautifully decorated; huge rooms with wonderful beds; the key cards always worked; reasonable rates; courteous staff; very clean; decent complimentary breakfast; close to downtown Astoria and roads to surrounding points of interest. Some windows have good views of the river. The free wi-fi worked well, and the TV offered a lot of channels and good reception. Cons: it is not actually right on the water. It's close to the Columbia River and a lighted pedestrian walkway. However, in between the river and the hotel, and dominating most hotel window views, lies a very busy lumber yard, and what I can only describe as a shipping junkyard. The two beached, rusted, ship hulks lying on the ground might be rustically charming by themselves if not for the other miscellaneous junk, the cranes, and the lumber trucks that go with the ships. It gets noisy early in the morning. Also, in order to access the hotel, one must drive through the parking lot of a U-Haul office and container storage business. It is ugly and depressing, and not very safe-looking at night. The rest of the area surrounding the hotel does not look safe at night, either.

    3
    « Comfortable stay »

Comfortable room, convenient location, and good hot breakfast. Easy drive into center of town for walking around and eating. We were near the ice maker and elevator though, and heard both a lot during the night.

Many people with dogs because there are paths to walk them. I don't have a dog and I would absolutely stay again.

    « Beautiful View »

Nice hotel which could use a little updating but a great location right on the mouth of the Columbia River. Our room was clean and well kept and had everything we needed including a fantastic view. There is a nice walking/bike path behind the hotel. There is also a complimentary breakfast buffet but we were not impressed and left with just a cup of coffee. We had a King bed with lots of pillows which was extremely comfortable. Would we come back? Yes.

« Nice Rates, Nice Room »

This hotel had great rates, very clean, and very quiet. It was new and very safe. You can see the water, but you can also see the lumber yard area behind it. So if you want an uninterrupted view of the water, sorry. The hotel is very quiet to outside noise however. The indoor pool was very clean and no "wild" people making a ruckus there during the 3 days that we stayed. It also has a "library" with 2 computers to use. I assume it allows pets due to seeing a few couples with dogs. There is also a walking trail right behind the hotel that leads to the water. The free breakfast was average. The fridge and microwave were great for our family...plus the extra sink helped too. We would stay again.

« Nice hotel wasted in poor location! »

The hotel was attractive, clean, updated with professional, friendly staff. Room was nice, clean & updated. Bed was comfortable. Only complaint is that it's located in an industrial area at the end of town. View out the window was of a logging yard. The website doesn't show you this so the photo is misleading.

    « A welcome place to stay »

Room was nice and the bed was really comfortable. Staff we always willing to help. Breakfast was a delight in different things to eat but the quality of what was offered. The waffles were two sized one for adults and smaller for kids. I will make sure to come back!

« Close to the beach »

This is a great hotel that is close to the beach. It is a great place to be for the city. Close to food, and shops. A nice place that is clean and safe. Somewhere i would bring my family. Has aminitys that most people would need to use, and make a little bit of the hotel enjoyable.

« Good basic hotel for visiting the attractions near Astoria »

As the other reviews state, this hotel is kind of in an awkward location. The view from our room was a dichotomy - half great (the river) and half unattractive (industrial area). We had a wonderful sunset on the river the night we were there, and the view from our room was spectacular. The hotel is very clean, and comfortable, and is a decent choice for affordable rates and accommodations that are nice when passing through this area. Check in staff was very friendly. The fitness center was adequate. There are some good restaurants within a mile of the hotel.

    « Hidden Gem »

Warning, if your coming up 101N you could blink and you'd miss it. It's tucked away behind a Uhaul office. However, it's worth it. Great views of the mouth of the Columbia River. Clean and comfortable beds. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Short walk to the first stop of the Astoria Trolley. Also, who doesn't love cookies at check-in? Very reasonable rates also!

« Location leaves a little to be desired. »

We had a hard time locating the hotel. Sits beside some sort of loading dock on the Columbia river in an industrial area. The hotel itself is rather new and very nice. Just be careful about opening doors with alarms attached. The door going to the parking lot across the hall from our room set off an alarm throughout the hotel when we tried to exit to bring our luggage in. A little embarrassing to say the least. We were given an upgraded room with a king bed and hot tub and fireplace. Very nice. Great decorator. Slate tile is very attractive with the gold and brown color scheme. Helpful staff. Breakfast in am, and all the amenities of home. Very nice.

« Nice location for exploring the Lewis & Clark Parks and Centers in the area »

This motel was a standard Best Western, very clean and comfy. We had a nice room, and relaxed by ordering local pizza delivered to our room for dinner. The staff at the desk were friendly and attentive, and we would stay here again. We depended on our GPS to guide us to the motel, so be sure to print out directions or use a GPS or Map app.

    « Last minute stay »

A snafu by a very unhelpful Comfort Inn and Suites left us looking for a last minute room on Brew Cup weekend. Best Western came through nicely. A big, quiet room with a very comfortable bed and a fairly pleasant HVAC unit added up to a good night's sleep on a crowded weekend in Astoria. Many thanks to Best Western!

    « Not what I had hoped »

The room was nice, quiet, with a good bed. The motel isn't easy to find. Hint: look behind the Uhaul trailer storage facility. The motel is close to the water, but smack in the midst of an industrial zone. Not someplace I feel safe walking alone. WiFi didn't work in our room, probably because it was the farthest from the office area. I told the front desk, and the response was, "Hmmm. That's weird." End of story. The lobby was oddly configured. The desk looked like an afterthought. Breakfast was the standard cheap eats. I thought it was overpriced. Probably won't return.
