"Small, comfortable and clean; perfect for a short stay."
RStelder, 17 Avril 2024

Nice little hotel in a relatively quiet side streets off Rue Lafayette, at walking distance from Gare du Nord train station and line-7 metro stations. Friendly and helpful staff, small but comfortable and clean rooms. Breakfast offering is limited, but good enough to start the day. Plenty of good restaurants and bars in the area.

"Good place with great value"
gxiaoyuwill, 22 Novembre 2023

Very friendly staff and clean room. The size of the room is a bit small but considering the convenient location, it is a good balance. The breakfast does not have too much cereal options but it is overall decent.

"Fabulous three days in Paris staying in a centrally located hotel."
Les_Canada, 03 Septembre 2023

Three day stay was wonderful in the centrally located hotel with superb staff and cozy rooms. The hotel manager reaches out before our stay and we felt welcomed from the moment we stepped inside the hotel. Though we arrived early we were able to access the room early. The hotel has breakfast options. We really appreciated arranging a taxi to the airport for 4:30 am, the lady driving was wonderful.

"Excellent Experience"
Jet11048388316, 13 Juin 2023

The room was bigger than expected. It was nice, clean and cool. The staff was welcoming and even stored our bags on our last day so we could do more sightseeing. Breakfast was phenomenal. The location of the hotel was also perfect. It was right next to a metro line. There were a ton of restaurants within walking distance. If we return to Paris we will definitely stay here again.

"Well-located comfortable hotel in a convenient, walkable neighborhood."
boybanker, 06 Juin 2023

A well-located hotel close to Métro lines, buses, and walking distance to both Gare de l'Est and Gare du Nord (for Eurostar and RER to CDG airport.) On a quiet side street in the center of restaurants and bars, bakeries and food shops. Very walkable and close to parks. Like all hotels in Paris, the rooms are small, but have armoires for storage and nice modern bathrooms. Spotlessly maintained. Good cable TV but no CNN if that matters to you. Reliable high-speed WiFi. The buffet breakfast is very good, with the full range of fresh bread, cheeses and cold meat, yogurt and cereal, and passable fruit salad. Made-from-scratch scrambled eggs (but no bacon.) Fresh coffee and good juice. Welcoming and helpful staff in the breakfast area. Staff at the reception were helpful and spoke English. Friendliness varied. We stayed for four nights and then returned for one night after a side trip to Troyes. During high season one night reservations are not available but since we were returning the hotel allows it. We thought it was petty to charge us 2€ per bag per night to leave our luggage in the empty store room off the lobby—the first time this has ever happened to us, in any hotel anywhere, and we travel a lot.

"Stimulating break in Paris"
FrancesThacker, 23 Avril 2023

We have stayed at this hotel before and this visit matched expectations. A high recommendation is the friendly helpfulness of the staff. Amenities were good and a little hiccup with the TV was quickly solved.

"Friendly staff but can be more accommodating"
Joseph F, 27 Février 2023

Staff too by the books, hence lacking in customer accommodation ending in customer dissatisfaction. We were denied entry into our booked room until precisely 3pm. We arrived in Paris at 10am, got to the hotel at 11am, stored our luggage at the hotel, returned to the hotel at 2:25pm, was told to wait in the lobby, asked at 2:55 pm and entry to our booked room was still denied. We suspect that all the rooms were ready for awhile because we saw the cleaning staff departing, but the check in staff were too by the books, and lacking in being accommodating in the service industry

"Excellent choice close to Gare du Nord"
Luc B, 26 Février 2023

Booked via Best Western on points for 5 nights. Arrived around 11AM but the room wasnt ready. Left my bags and went visiting and came back around 5PM. Got a small room on third floor, nice view, double bed, decent sized wall mounted TV (good channel selection for a francophone) , small but decent bathroom with tiny shower. Very clean, if a bit cold (January in Paris is mild but the isolation in most older French buidings is not great). Did not have breakfast there as I walked every morning to a closeby baker for a few croissants and coffee for less than 4 euros...the breakfast spread seemed decent (pastries, cold cuts, cheeses) but for 15 euros, a bit expensive.

"Worst best ever"
woodie2023, 28 Janvier 2023

Never stay here again they don't clean the rooms . When asking for a refund after showing pictures of the dirty bathroom I was told they need to speak with the local hotel itself . I still haven't heard back from them..

"Home away from home"
Andre_mainville, 15 Janvier 2023

I travel to Paris every month and this is home away from home for me. Clean rooms, friendly staff, great location (2 minutes to market and 3 minutes to subway) it's perfect for business or exploring Paris.

"Nice comfortable hotel"
232sain, 09 Septembre 2022

A nice cosy hotel - excellent rooms with up to date furnishings. Very helpful staff. Definitely a pleasurable stay. We stayed there for vacation and found it very good. There is a nice little bakery around the corner that serves the most delicious pastries as well.

"Good Choice for Paris"
james I, 08 Septembre 2022

This is a very well presented and friendly hotel within an excellent city/central location. It's closeness to the Gar Du Nord railway station is one of its benefits as is the fine selection of quality restaurants on the doorstep. The rooms are compact but beautifully decorated, and the quality of bedding is to a good standard. The cleanliness is obvious throughout and the staff are all knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. The continental buffet breakfast provided a fresh selection of hot tasty scrambled and boiled eggs, cereals, French breads, cheeses, hams, coffee's, teas , choc pastries and petite fruit cakes. This establishment is part of a well known and respectable franchise and is managed to a standard you would expect for an enjoyable and affordable stay. Being a former/retired Tourist Officer with Local Government in Scotland, one of my duties was inspecting hotels and their facilities. In my opinion Hotel Anjou Lafayette, Paris would pass with very high standards, probably four stars. Well done to the team!

"hotel Anjoy Lafayette"
phillipsK6360ZX, 30 Août 2022

We had a very good experience with this hotel. Small rooms, but clean and an extremely helpful staff. The location for our purposes was excellent, with walking distance to the Eurostar, and easy commutes to our destinations.

"Comfortable stay for 4."
Tracey H, 12 Août 2022

We were very pleased with the family room after a long overnight journey. The listing wasn't totally clear but the family room is two adjacent rooms, each with a bathroom, and each with comfortable beds for two. We slept very well. The room was stylish, quiet and comfortable. The metro station was close by and there were many eateries in the area. If you need a good sleep and are a family of four, this place is perfect!

"SMALL ROOMS"
AROOP M, 27 Juin 2022

The rooms were too small and we had been alloted a room on the roof which had a slanting ceiling over the bed ,hence had to be cautious banging our heads against the roof - bathroom ,though clean, was also small -

"Nice place to stay"
Andy M, 05 Juin 2022

We recently spent 3 nights in a family room at the hotel. It was nice but the rooms are small. The bathroom was almost as big as the bedroom. Our room had a queen bed and a twin bed, and a chair. The room was clean, but we did have to ask for towels every day. Also, be prepared as they do not offer wash cloths. The staff was very polite and helpful. Everyone we dealt with spoke English. The hotel is in a nice neighborhood with several cafes and restaurants nearby. Our only complaint about the stay was the bathtub. It was very deep and hard to get in and out.

"Great hotel near the Gard de Nord"
FrancesThacker, 10 Mai 2022

The welcome we received and overall attention was impressive. The more so after a bit of a hiccup on the first morning meant we were kept waiting a while for a breakfast table, because the staff then redoubled their efforts to ensure our comfort. We would recommend this hotel.

"convenient stay in well located and comfortable hotel"
i0anacristina, 02 Mai 2022

We had a good stay at this hotel in late April 2022, and mostly appreciated the convenient location, between two metro stations with direct connection to some important tourist attraction. also, the area is full of bistros and restaurants. good breakfast, good size of the room.

"Merci Véronique"
HajiMohamed88, 06 Février 2022

I love travelling and I went more than 250 hotels without exaggerating. what I always look forward when I go to hotels is not only the location and prices but how the stuff welcomes you.. But in this hotel there's one gold hearted woman... Her name is Véronique. We (Me and my Girlfriend) have never met such a welcoming person. Merci Véronique Haji Mohamed

"Welcoming and comfortable"
mmdumonde, 21 Janvier 2022

My son and I enjoyed a good room in the hotel, with bath. The windows are so well treated no sound from the streets enter. Great location for exploring Paris. Clean with a kind and accommodating cleaning staff. My son was ill with a stomach flu while there and Caroline Bailly, the manager, and all of her staff were so helpful in offering advice for pharmacies, doctors, etc. They did all the could to make us comfortable. The night staff offered me an umbrella when I went out in search of ibuprofen - and I'm glad I had it when it began raining while I waited in line at the pharmacie!

"A good in hotel in the main shopping district"
Traveller60London, 13 Janvier 2022

A good hotel close to the main shopping area. We appreciated to be able to check in at 12:00. The room had a bottle of mineral water, a kettle, a table and a chair. There was also an empty mini-fridge which was large enough to store a full size bottle of champagne if you temporarily removed the shelf. The mini-fridge was initially not on, so you must find the power switch and switch it on yourself. The bathroom had 1 shower gel and 1 shampoo for 2 people. Our room had a not quite full size but adequate size bathtub. There was 1 shampoo and 1 body lotion for 2 people. The bathroom was a good size. You must leave the key at the reception every time you leave the hotel. A good base for a stay in central Paris with good transport connections and good service at the reception.

"Lack of empathy, avoid if possible"
erickang81, 17 Décembre 2021

Booked two rounds of stay here (20 -21 Dec and 23-26 Dec) and unfortunately unable to travel due to restrictions related to Covid-19 (the French govt announced on 16 Dec that no UK travellers for holiday/vacation will be allowed in). Immediately informed the hotel upon learning about it but unfortunately they will not allow any refund (not even partial). Whilst we understand that the last day for free cancellation is on midnight of 13 Dec and 15 Dec, however, what we couldn't understand is the lack of empathy shown by this hotel (We missed the deadline for the free cancelation by few hours only) and we informed the management immediately once the French govt announces the ban the morning of 16 Dec. We have no problems with cancellation and refunds with other hotels, nor do we have any problem in getting refund from train (OUI) where the dates of our travels are much earlier than this hotel stay. It is shocking that the lack of understanding and empathy shown by Best Western especially during this pandemic where their insistence in charging us fully despite: a) We missed the cancellation deadline by few hours and they have a week's notice. b) No fault of our own that we cannot travel (The French govt bars all UK travellers for holiday/vacation) If you are looking for hotels in Paris that empathises and cares for it's guests, this is definitely not one.

"Wonderful hotel"
DayTrip251185, 21 Novembre 2021

Wonderful hotel. The stuff was friendly and helpful. Perfect location. You can reach Louvre and Montmartre by walk within 20 minutes. Very close to metro stations. Nice rooms, very clean and quiet. Excellent breakfast. Recommend this place!

"Very pleasant hotel"
rosie1271, 02 Septembre 2021

We enjoyed a very pleasant stay at Anjou Lafayette. The rooms were spacious, with good storage. The beds were large and very comfortable. Staff were kind and helpful. The location of the hotel is great - within walking distance of the Gare du Nord, Opera, Montmatre, also close to a bus stop for the 32 line straight to Champs Elysee and the Cadet metro for main attractions like the Louvre.

"Wonderful team making you feel homey and taken care of."
julesCA, 30 Juillet 2021

The staff were tremendously helpful and super friendly. This makes one stay thoroughly enjoyable as any worries, questions or difficulties were easily taken care of by the front desk. Loved talking with everyone there and it made our stay warm and comfortable. Location made it very easy to reach metro 7, and then to any of the main hubs (like Gare de l'Est) to reach anywhere.

"Best Western Anjou"
frankmoskos, 27 Juin 2021

Stayed June 2021. We had a reservation at the Best Western on Rue de Faubourg, but they were closed and hadn't let us know. So, we were stranded without a room. Walked to the Anjou and they got us checked in and 2 rooms for my family. The hotel was accessible, had a nice elevator, clean rooms, nice showers, decent beds, and good location near MontMartres. I would definitely stay again next time we visit Paris.

"In the thick of it."
Susan H, 16 Février 2020

Brilliant position near several metro stations. 10 mins from the Gare du Nord and Gare du East stations, a 10 min easy walk to the Opera and Lafayette shops. The room was small and compact , clean comfortable beds and pillows. I only slept there two nights and they changed the towels. The staff were polite and helpful and sorted out a problem quickly and efficiently. There is a small comfortable bar area . My only negative comment is there were no handrails in the bath making it difficult to get out of the bath safely.

"Nice location/fabulous staff"
Seetheworld253, 31 Décembre 2019

Our favorite hotel was booked so we stayed here during the recent Paris strikes. Great location. Easy walk to Opera, Montmartre and the major department stores as well as our favorite Republique neighborhood. Tiny rooms but great water pressure in the showers. Nice breakfast, Great lobby hangout space. The hotel stays was fabulous especially given they were short staffed themselves due to the strike and the inability of staff to get to work. They were cheerful and ever helpful and very ingenious about finding ways to get travelers to the airports without cabs, buses or metro.

"Very neat"
SunilD279, 04 Novembre 2019

VERY clean and ideally located to Paris North Rail. Subways easy access to Eiffel Tower and shopping districts. Would recommend and would use in future. Walking distance to other shopping and restaurants. Slow walks in autumn made it even more perfect with slight rain. Receptionist does communicate in English

"Our stay"
Arunangshu M, 09 Octobre 2019

Quite centrally located, close to 100s of restaurants, cafes, art strips, train station. Hotel approach is quite narrow. Breakfast was average. Room was very good, bathroom had a bathtub. Hotel staff were helpful

"Stolen computer"
laukku2000, 24 Septembre 2019

We were staying at this hotel in January 2019, so it's long time go, but I want to write this now for warning, when I read that there has been at least one similar case in this hotel before. Nothing has ever been stolen from us in any of the dozens of hotels before this. First day we we're out about 7 hours. We noticed in the next morning that the Macbook and it's charger had been stolen from our room. Couple of members of the staff had seen us using the computer right after we arrived. The key was in the reception when we were out. There were no cameras on the hallways, when we asked about it. Explanations included e.g. that all the cleaning staff was away that time and all staff members have been working for the hotel long time. Of course we reported the police (it took half a day to queue at the station), and just free breakfasts felt very poor compensation.

"Room 503 review, staff was excellent "
436nicholasm, 19 Septembre 2019

Room 503 is a good 17 sqm with an odd elevated area with a chair. Two decent sized cabinets. Bathroom very compact due to pillar. Staff however were surprisingly very cheerful and helpful. Ordered the express petit dejeuner in the room. Service was prompt and once again sweet. Cadet metro line 7 is a short walk. Gare du nord a good 10 minutes away. For price, would stay again!

"My stay."
Parisvisitor2019, 13 Septembre 2019

I stayed for two nights last week, my room was in need of a redecorating as all of the hotel is my towles were very worn and smell of cigarette smoke they should be replaced, I used the stairs and the doors had been taken off and replace by doors which were made of very thin wood of some kind and string in place of a handle the old doors were left and the stair well as was the new doors that are I suppose and some time are going to be fitted and the second floor door was been held open by some of these doors and fire hazard I felt very unsafe at night and did not sleep well , I feel this hotel should be closed so all works are carried out .l will never stay at this hotel again.

"Good location"
Goose1girl, 07 Septembre 2019

We had a two night stay at this hotel in September. Located down a quiet side street. Staff very welcoming and always helpful. The room was ok, rather tired albeit clean, the bathroom was a good size and also clean with nice white towels. The bed and bed linen were very comfortable. Tea and coffee available in the room. The bedroom doors were heavy with key locks and slammed shut unless you turned the key and closed them quietly. Most people did not which was particularly irritating late at night or early morning! However saying that, during our stay they were gradually changing the bedroom doors, ours was changed and this is much improved. We did not have breakfast as there are many cafes close by for that. Only a 5-10minute taxi ride from the train station. You are quite close to Metro stations or you can take a map and walk to some of the highlights of Paris. It could benefit from the rooms having a little upgrade but I would recommend the hotel following the improvements mentioned and we would consider staying again.

"The Perfect Hotel that Won't Blow the Budget in Paris!"
19christys, 05 Août 2019

Our family of 4 stayed in this hotel just a few days ago! What a find! Best hotel of our 2 week trip around Europe! Perfectly situated in great part of town, yet on a quiet street which allowed for peaceful sleep. We walked from the train station, just a 1 mile walk or less and we walked to Galleries de Lafayette with ease. Delightful cafes and restaurants all near by. The decor was bright and modern and the staff was delightful. The rooms were perfect-the beds so comfortable, spacious bathrooms and with air conditioning! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Paris!

"Ok, but a little bit grubby"
derKoelsch, 09 Avril 2019

I stay there during a business trip. The room was, of a first glimpse, a nice one. But the floor was creaking. In the morning I must shower with luke warm water and the sealing of the shower glasswall were defect, so I have a nice big puddle in the bathroom. Nevertheless the room and bath were clean. The breakfast was simple but good. For short stays ok.

"Okay"
Daydream63968079368, 01 Avril 2019

The room was extremely small. We got an attic room on the 6th floor. It was clean but really small and very dark. The ceiling wall felt like it was about to hit you on your sleep. We had to open a window to circulate the air but the window was also in top of your head so it was not nice at all. It was not a good experience at all and it was very expensive for what it was. The hotel in general is nice, clean and the staff is very friendly but only for that room I would not recommend it. The hotel really charge the same price for that room as the others. (I do not know if the other two rooms in floor 6 were the same or if there are more rooms like that)

"Location & Convenience for Paris!"
Ning R, 27 Février 2019

We had a good stay at Best Western Anjou Lafayette! Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room met our expectations as well as their amenities, especially staying in Paris! The room was clean and the bed was comfy. Everything looked just like the photos advertised here. WiFi signal was good. In addition, the hotel is close to everything -- cafes/restaurants, Starbucks, 2 metro stations near by, grocery stores, etc. It is very convenient to go to Paris' tourist attractions from the hotel by using the metro. It is only a few minutes walk to the closest laundromat! The hotel is approximately a 15 minutes walk to Gare du Nord / Gare de I'Est and a 22-minute walk to Montmartre. Taking an airport shuttle from-and-to the hotel to CDG is also recommended and you can easily let the Reception know when checking in. We'd stay here again for our next visit in Paris, thank you!

"Butterflies "
brngrnbck, 28 Décembre 2018

Great hotel with quirky rooms. We stayed in the butterfly room on the top floor. Very comfortable with a huge bath, all the facilities you need and very clean. The location is great for sightseeing as it's within walking (just) of all the main attractions. Loads of good eateries nearby and a very helpful and friendly team at reception.

"Winter visit to Paris"
stevensC195UE, 10 Décembre 2018

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this BW hotel immensely. The hotel and our room was small, but very clean and tidy. Their amenities where plenty and the staff was outstanding. They even have a small cute bar to relax in, but we did not use it after a long day touring the city. Instead we bought a bottle of wine elsewhere and had them open it, which they were glad to do. If we lacked anything, they got it for us. We got lots of help on how to use the bus, laid out our routes to the nearby train stations and the airport as well as telling us of good restaurants in the area. One young lady even called a competitor hotel at the airport for us about how best to get there and shuttle service.

"Great location"
60sparky08, 07 Octobre 2018

We stayed here during the Ryder Cup. It is walking distance from several landmark sites and the public transport stations including Gare du Nord. The staff were excellent, very helpful and courteous. The buffet breakfast was good value. My only criticism is that the tea and coffee was not replenished.

"Perfect Perfect Perfect!"
honeymooners34, 02 Septembre 2018

Awesome stay, clean room. The breakfast was outstanding! Croissants, crepes, pancakes, boiled eggs, ham, turkey, salami, fruit, pastries, French bread, toast, cheeses, yogurts, prunes, cereals, applesauce, and milk that was friendly to the stomach (unlike American dairy). Excellent location. The weather was cool at night, so we opened the window and during the day when it was hot, we were not there, so it was perfect for us. We did not even look for an AC. For planning purposes, they include amenities like lotion, etc. To get to the hotel from the airport, we followed signs to Trains and went to RER B. We bought tickets at the info desk (though the ticket machines took credit cards) to get to Gare Nord for 10,30 euro per person. Upon arrival, we exited the Gare Nord and found the street Rue La Fayette (each bus stop has an area map), then walked SW on La Fayette maybe 10 minutes until we saw the park and trees on the right. The street of the hotel, Riboutti, was on the left. It was more convenient for us to walk. Monop grocery store is just before the park on La Fayette (for bottles of water and fresh squeezed orange juice!) and the metro is a block further up. The hotel's location was super convenient for us to walk to all of the sites or take the metro. To get to Nice, we took the metro to get to the Gare de Lyon SNCF station and took the train to Nice-ville. One way cost 69 euro, but the train from Nice back to Charles de Gaulle airport was higher. We could use credit cards everywhere except for the public restrooms and artisan/street vendors. It was a great time in Paris, very safe.

"Nice hotel near the Paris Opera House"
894lawrencem, 28 Août 2018

We stayed here for three nights in August 2018. Overall, this is a nice hotel (part of the BW chain) near the Opera with many outdoor restaurants nearby. Also, the 'Cadet' underground station is just two blocks away. The rooms are somewhat small but functional. The room includes a refrigerator, closet, television. The bathroom is medium to large and decorated in soft brown tones. The hotel staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The people working the front desk are some of the nicest people I have ever met. There is a complimentary buffet breakfast downstairs, in a cute little breakfast room. It is standard breakfast fare, but the food is all good. There is also a small bar in the lounge which I did not use. The hotel staff is very helpful, and will recommend restaurants, sites, and transportation. The hotel also has a shuttle to the airport which you pay for but can order a day in advance. The only negative we had at this hotel is that our room A/C was not working. They supplied us with a fan, and we had the window open. After the first night which was warm, the next two nights were comfortable. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for convenience and welcoming atmosphere.

"Wonderful boutique hotel"
triciar827, 11 Août 2018

I live in Paris and chose this hotel for my family during their recent visit from the US. They stayed in several rooms on the same floor of the hotel. The hotel is nicely designed, clean, and comfortable with all the modern conveniences. We found the owner and the staff to be kind, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is well-situated in a very nice neighborhood, on a quiet street just across the main road from a beautiful little park. There are many nice restaurants all around it, and it has easy access the metro and the main shopping district of Paris. I am directing out-of-town guests to my upcoming wedding there, and plan to recommend it for all my visiting friends and relatives in the future.

"Unsatisfactory"
proudpakistani, 17 Juillet 2018

Far from Gare du Nord station and not an easy location to find. Not recommended for family with kids as it is difficult to walk towards hotel from the train station. We booked it for three persons and they gave us a room which was even smaller for two. Too much noise coming from outside.

"Quaint but needs a refresh"
yaps66, 13 Juillet 2018

The hotel needs updating. It is in a great location and the service is great! Rooms are small but this is not unexpected. It is on a quiet street but what's great is that it is accessible. I suspect the staff are overworked so a compliment will go a long way!!

"Clean & Adequate Hotel"
Louise E, 25 Mai 2018

We stayed for 4 nights. Room was a very small twin room (we were tripping over each other) but clean. Please note: we had a shower over the bath so if you have mobility issues it might pay to check when booking what the bathroom set up is. Small requests for additional coffee, tea sachets and even spoons were attended to by staff. Some road noise as we had windows open due to room stuffiness and air-con was not adequate. Location within walking distance of Gare du Nord and there was a metro and bus stop close by though we did not use as we walked everywhere. Close by also were various eateries and a supermarket. Keys had to be left with reception each time you went out and we were given the wrong key on one occasion. Disappointingly day of check out we asked for a taxi to take us to the airport (we had been told previously there was no need to pre book as it never takes long) and there were issues trying to get through. We were told to just go out to the street and try and hail a cab. Easier said than done.

"Super cute hotel on quiet street"
Kim D, 20 Mai 2018

I was satisfied with this hotel, I had booked it using Air Miles so was very impressed it was not like a Best Western in North America (which would be bland), it had the cute style that I love so much about hotels in Paris. Yes the room is small, but so cozy, with windows that opened so fresh air could come in. We arrived early from an overnight flight and they prepared our room so we could check in early. We also checked out a bit late, as we were super tired that am, and they did not seem to mind. The area is not as nice as some other parts of Paris I've stayed in but the Metro is very close. It is not that close of a walk to the Opera as I had expected so would recommend you save your feet and take the Metro at least a few stops to get into more central Paris.

"Great Location Comfortable and Friendly"
MRM188, 22 Avril 2018

As a first time visitor to Paris I really appreciated this hotel. The location is very central and the hotel staff helpful and friendly. The rooms are on the small side, but very comfortable and well equipped. Excellent Continental Breakfast.

"Excellent place from which to explore Paris"
revbevpowell, 19 Avril 2018

It is close to the Gate de Nord station, and the Cadet Metro station. Staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good, room was clean and the hotel was quiet. You can walk from the hotel to the Louvre as well as up to Sacre Couer. The restaurant right across from the front door is an excellent place to have a French meal.

"Good Location and Accommodation "
Tim M, 13 Avril 2018

Paris is an expensive place to stay, and I think this hotel does a good job to balance decent accomodation and reasonable prices. The staff at reception were great, and remembered us each time we entered both day and night. They were really helpful and friendly. The room itself was small, but this is Paris so we didn't expect anything else. It felt fresh though, and was clean. The bathroom was clean too and the shower was a good size. We stayed on a lower level however wouldn't say that street noise was an issue, rather just noise in the corridor out of the room. However, this was an issue by the time we wanted to sleep. Overall, this hotel is in a fantastic location, and in Paris you wouldn't want to spend much time in your room anyway, so we found it to be good.

"Do not stay here!!!! Avoid "
User, 27 Mars 2018

Me and my boyfriend arrived here for three nights to visit Paris - our first impression was very good of the hotel, very clean and in good location for site seeing however this impression drastically changed as on the first night, we realised the walls were paper thin as we were able to hear next doors guest snoring, which was unbearable, sounded like a motorbike being started up in the other room - we tried everything e.g sleep with telly on loud and sleep with window open but it was no good. People from other floors were coming upstairs to bang on his door- we couldn't take it any longer so we went to the reception desk and told them about the situation, we were then told that they were fully booked, which is understandable, but they said we can change rooms the next night. After a terrible night sleep, the exact same thing happened on the second night which resulted us going to reception again and we was told ‘nothing we can do' even though being told the night before we were able to move rooms tonight and of course it happened again on the third night which meant sleepless nights with no help from reception staff - the staff were VERY rude and unhelpful, didn't try to accommodate at all. Obviously snoring can not be helped however feeling like the next door guest is in your bed is not the stay we expected.

"Perfect Location - European style room"
cupcatmama, 19 Mars 2018

Had to leave for Paris early because of Boston Blizzards. With the help of AAA Travel I booked this hotel and I was very happy with my stay. The location was perfect for me, as I love to walk and I could be in the heart of Paris in about 10 minutes! I must say that Valerie at the reception desk was very helpful to me. She made it easy for me to feel safe by giving me some sound advice about being alone in Paris. She gave great directions, was always smiling, and recommended a nice coffee shop where I met Gloria and had my first real French Croissant! Yes, the room was tight, but it was set up in such a way to give it depth and the feel of space. The rooms were clean, nicely appointed with everything a traveler would need. Thank you Valerie for being so attentive and kind. When my husband arrived and we moved to the other hotel I missed this one!

"Just what we needed"
Holly P, 31 Décembre 2017

This hotel was in a great location from central Paris and from the train station! The staff were pleasant and the room was perfect for the three nights we stayed! It was a little small but apart from that the room was very modern, clean, and safe! The bathroom was wonderful and there was an additional electric heater which was very useful! We arrived three hours early for our room and was still able to check in which was an added bonus! Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending! Thank you

"Sorry sir we don't operate AC in October although the hotel has AC facility on booking.con "
Ahmed M, 22 Décembre 2017

Pros. *I got early check in, *bathroom size was big. *very near to Metro station Cons. *I checked-in in October in a wonderful sunny day to the extent the room was really hot in afternoon and what was really funny the AC (by the way unit AC not central) was working on fan mode only and no cooling with no any notice in the room or in front desk. When I called the reception the reply was " sorry sir we are interested in the environment and all ACs are off cooling during October and until next summer and if you still feel hot you can open the room window!!!!! And I really had to do it and being visible for at least 15 other rooms on the other sides :) Wow that's a great policy to care about environment more than the guest :) who pays a 4-stars hotel rate !! * The room is too tight to host a big adult. You could imagine the distance between the bed and the walls from both sides is less than 1.2 meters and you always get your foot hit something in the room :)

"Great staff, good location"
Soberzan, 07 Décembre 2017

The hotel is not amazing; the room was small and not really attractive. The location was ok; 10 minute walk to the Opera. The staff pople at reception - both day and night shift - were very helpful and pleasant. I'd probably try and find something newer and fresher looking on my next trip.

"Good value in Paris"
NicMTL, 21 Novembre 2017

Stayed 2 nights booked on points in november 2017. Hotel is conveniently located close to 2 metro stations and within walking distance of the Grands magasins, etc. Did not use the breakfast restaurant. Room was small, but normal by Paris standards. The street is quiet so even if you have a street facing room you should not be disturbed by traffic noise (often a problem in Paris). Hot water in shower was a bit uneven. Decor was a tad faded but OK overall.

"Good hotel, great team"
BonzerFive, 14 Octobre 2017

Stayed 3 nights in Sep/Oct. The staff, especially front desk team, was extremely friendly and helpful. They recommended great local restaurants, and secured reservations to make our lives easier. They did a great job at recommending local sights, listened to our interests and make excellent suggestions to improve them. Breakfast was good, crepes, cheese, yogurt, eggs, etc, all available. Rooms were clean, if a little tight. Location is nice, close to Metro and bus lines, easy to get where you need quickly. Good value for this location.

"Pleasant hotel, not great value for money"
N J, 02 Octobre 2017

Altogether, we liked our stay here, the hotel staff was extremely helpfull, hotel overall is nicely decorated and on good level, location is great. Our room could be bigger, but this is of course matter of staying anywhere in France, especially in Paris. Even though, we expected little more for the money - room was nice, but small, whithout heating (we would have appreciated it, since we stayed here at the end of semptember and it started to get colder by night), the bed wasn´t exactly comfortable, either. Sound isolation from the common hall was not existing, you could hear everything, every word anyone said. The bathroom was quite spacious on the other hand. Also daily cleaning worked very nicely. Overall, good stay, it could be cheaper, but considering it was close to center of Paris, it was ok, I suppose. Breakfasts aren´t worth the extra charge 13 euro/person, there´s really not much selection, just the absolute basics and only cold stuff (eggs etc. are extra charge).

"Extremely helpful. "
TheLarryHenning, 27 Septembre 2017

During a recent stay I developed a medical condition requiring treatment. The staff went above and beyond to help navigate finding care, arranging transportation, changing accommodations, helping hook up again with tour group in Normandy, etc, etc. I am profoundly grateful to the staff for their compassion and competence.

"Overnight on our way home"
Mark B, 09 Septembre 2017

Stayed at the Anjou Lafayette one night; I would stay again. Ideal for couples and small families. It is clean and tidy, offers breakfast and is near a tube station and within walking distance to the Paris Nord train station. The room was modern; and the double bed comfortable. The receptionist and night staff were very polite and helpful. You are within walking distance to the opera house and if you feel up to it the Louvre Museum. Good value for a three star. Please note there was no bath but a shower.

"Very nice"
Ferandun12, 08 Septembre 2017

Wonderful Staff, we arrived at 9:30AM exhausted. The person at the front desk allowed us to look at the rooms that were ready so we wouldn't have to wait until check in time. Very clean, nice bathroom, friendly staff. Great location! 2 Metro stops Cadet and Poisonnere (sp). They were very helpful with directions. We would stay there again.

"Efficient, friendly and convenient"
JimTerryIV, 30 Août 2017

Quick support at the front desk. Room not big but not as tiny as you sometimes find in Paris. Aircon working well. New York Times ready in the morning. Wine Bar across the road. And not expensive - at least this time of the year.

"Lovely small hotel - perfect situation "
Sue2102, 25 Août 2017

I stayed here for 2 nights with my teenage daughter. The room was as expected, although a tad small. It was clean, tastefully decorated with buckets of hot water for showers. We had full windows we could open onto a small balcony. We did not eat here but there were plenty of mid priced eateries locally. We could walk from Gare du Nord (15mins), Galeries Lafayette (15 mins) and Sacre Coeur (15 mins).

"Great customer service, excellent staff"
Divya M, 07 Août 2017

I am little late in posting this feedback but I wanted to make sure that I write when I have enough time. We visited Paris in the month of June-2017 and it wasn't my first trip to Paris, I have been frequent to Paris for business trips but this time we were doing Paris for vacations. We took a taxi from Nord station (you know that queue which is arranged by station staff to help tourists) and the hotel was hardly 800 m away from station, as soon as we boarded the Parisian Taxi and it moved a little, driver declared it will take 50 euro for us to reach the hotel, which was not acceptable to us since I know the tariff of taxi in Paris, with a little efforts of resistance, and his illogical reasoining, we reached hotel already. Driver parked the taxi way before the hotel and asked us money to which my husband start having conversation on why he is not charging us my meter and there is no fixed amount. I took some of our luggage and rushed to hotel, asking help from Hotel staff as driver is cheating us. As soon as I entered Hotel , I asked help from Valarie who was in charge of reception, she immediately informed Madame Baili (manager on duty) and she accompanied me going back to driver and gave him peace of mind for cheating us and the fraud that he was trying to do with fake bill etc. He finally agreed on 10 Euro and my husband and I returned to hotel for some change of money, When my husband went outside to give him money, he ran away with his taxi but No he actually went to hide his taxi so that we don't take picture etc and came back running and tried to hit my husband and snatch money. He also tore the 10 euro note and said a few bad words. Madame Baili took an immediate action to push him away from hotel warning him of police and locked first thing the hotel to ensure her guests are safe. (Well, who would have thought of these acts in Paris ! But yeah, with so many migrants, Paris is changing gradually). Valarie and Madame Baili were only staff taking care of hotel at front end and they showed immense presence of mind, hospitality, care and customer experience to us, we applause such ladies commanding the show. Coming to hotel rooms and amenities, this hotel is near Opera as name sugests and cadet metro station is around 100 mts away, various restaurents nearby and the rooms are neat and clean, spacious as compared to Paris hotel norms (generally tiny rooms), beautiful flower balcony that lets you enjoy Paris essence in the mornings or evening coffee. I couldn't suggest anything better or scope of improvement for this hotel as me and my husband are bot deligted with their service. We also met- Frederic who was taking care of night duty mostly and was equally courteous, suggestive and great to have conversation with. Overall, outstanding experience because of the lovely staff and great customer service. Good luck hotel best western, anjou team. Love - Divya and Deepak :-)

"Great location and service"
Marcel C, 17 Juillet 2017

The front desk greeted us with typical Parisian charm and made our short 3 night stay a very pleasant one. The location is very convenient as you are a ten min walk away from Gare du Nord and the closest metro station is about a 4 minute walk. When I had laundry to wash the front desk gave me easy to follow directions to a coin laundry across the street. The room was clean and quiet and since it was very hot outside the ice cold A/C was very appreciated! The room rate is very reasonable for Paris and I definitely would stay at this lovely little hotel again.

"A place to stay in for your vacation"
Andreea E, 12 Juillet 2017

The moment you went into the street with the hotel you felt truly Parisian. Not to mention that you have a park right there and it is to the right from Lafayette street where you find all types of cafes, restaurants that are even 24/7 and have happy hours for cocktails for those interested. As soon as you step into the hotel, you get a very welcoming feeling and feel right at home. The reception was always nice with us and helped us get some tickets printed out for various attractions. They even provided a local map with objectives to visit and indicated the best route. Let me not mention the fact that the metro station is 4 minutes away and you can stop for an extra coffee at the Starbucks right before it. The rooms were perfect french decor with a tiny typical balcony that made us feel like we are truly experiencing Paris and it's charm. Going down for breakfast was another story: they have the best croissants. Who cares about anything else? They have a large selection of tea and coffee from the house but you can also ask to have espresso made. There is a wide variety of cheeses present enough to make it a true breakfast, accompanied by boiled eggs and ham as well as fresh Orange juice. And the sitting are is quite lovely, just like a typical boutique breakfast. Definitely will be back when we come to Paris as the shuttle bus (Roissy-Bus) dropped us off directly from the airport to the Opera Garnier and then had a maximum 10 minute walk. All in all, lovely place to stay and wonderful neighborhood, easy to reach anywhere by walking or taking the bus/metro. Disneyland is also easy to reach from Opera (direct line). So no reasons not to choose it as the Gare de Lyon is also close in case another trip arises or you come by train to Paris. Everything was so perfect that we cannot say we did not like something as it was a great experience and easy to get location from everywhere, especially at night when you want to reach back easy (metro or uber).

"Poor Service"
Symeon G, 03 Juillet 2017

The Hotel is located on a good position for Public transportation. The hotel was nice, the staff were polite but in the room we were not happy with what to do with cleanliness, towels did not change during our stay (which was 6 days) and had to ask for Toilet paper because they often did not put spare in the room. The money was too much in relation to the prosper

"the best 3 star hotel"
nicksouf, 27 Juin 2017

I was really angry for the bad flight and I thought its a not a good hotel but after a while i realized its great. The staff were really friendly, There was a detox water always in labby. the balcony view was to the street and the location was near gallery Lafayette and metro. Bathroom was clean. Be careful with the location because there is two or three streets like that and you may lost when you are walking. You can go to Lindt shop and carrefur by walk. There is a wax meusium and hard rock cofe near hotel. there is another super market near hotel.

"Great value in a boutique hotel"
Elton E, 05 Juin 2017

The price and location were really, really nice. The hotel is in a lovely part of Paris and close to a metro station. The hotel offers a breakfast buffet, which is very nice, but a little over priced based on the number of options in the immediate neighborhood. It was raining one night and the bellman offered us an umbrella as we were leaving. The hotel staff couldn't have been nicer. We really enjoyed our stay.

"Interesting design, clean"
JM a, 20 Mai 2017

Close to metro station Cadet, calm street. 15 minutes on foot from Gare du Nord. Superior room quite large for Paris standard, with view of the top of Montmartre. Interesting design of rooms, very colorful. Friendly staff.

"My husband & I were treated to a four day visit to Paris (birthday present from our family)..."
Máire B, 28 Avril 2017

I had stayed in this hotel Sept.2016 & decided to return there. As before welcoming, friendly staff.Hotel is very well maintained, very clean. The bedroom, though a little small,is well appointed. The bed is extremely comfortable & again the pillows are perfect. Our room faced the street & we were given the choice of changing to another if it proved unsuitable, but it was fine. The location is great, many restaurants within walking distance .It is less than 5 min.walk to metro & under 15 min.walk from Gare du Nord.Very enjoyable visit.

"Best value for money in Paris"
Michel O, 25 Janvier 2017

With most hotels being quite expensive and offering very small rooms, this hotel is difficult to top when comparing value for money. Spacious rooms at very good prices topped with a good breakfast. The staff is very helpful, recommended a great little restaurant around the corner and the taxi to the airport arrived within 3 minutes of requesting it at reception. I would highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

"Fine 3 star hotel"
show112, 24 Janvier 2017

The hotel offers decent accommodation at an attractive location. It is walking distancuje from Montmartre, Garde du Nord, and there is a metro stop one block away from the hotel. The staff were nice and friendly and at the rate I was paying (well below €100) I have nothing to complain about. The room was comfortable, it had a kettle, safe, nice bathroom. On the downside I should mention that the room was rather small, just enough space for single occupancy but I am not sure how two persons (it was a double room) would fit in. There was an ugly stain on the carpet. The walls were paper thin and I could hear lots of sounds. The breakfast priced at €13 did not feel a good value for money. In conclusion acceptable stay but don't expect much.

"Great location, clean and friendly staff"
charon234, 11 Janvier 2017

The hotel is about 10 minute walking distance from Gare du Nord station, Cadet metro station is about 3 min walk from the hotel too. We booked 3 rooms and they managed to arrange all of them on the same floor. Quick and simple check in and check out processes - we requested late check out for one of the rooms and it was free of charge. Luggage storange available. Good room size. Clean and tidy nicely decorated rooms. Nice and spacious bathrooms with good water pressure. Kettles provided with tea and coffee. Friendly staff who speak good English - easy communication. They are willing to help and the restaurants that they suggested were nice too. Overall nice and pleasant stay at the hotel.

"Pleasant hotel"
Smeg1, 07 Décembre 2016

The entrance to this hotel is simple. Foyer is pleasant with a simple desk and a cosy little bar area My room,101, was small but we'll decorated and very clean. Bathroom was spotless. However, when I had a shower in the evening, there was little hot water. There was plenty in the morning so suspect it struggles to cope with demand - not very good. Bed was comfortable and I slept well EXCEPT I woke upland could here what I can best describe as an occasional sound like someone playing 2 keys on a piano? Very odd and annoying at 5.30. This noise was still there in the morning Staff very friendly too I would of scored this a 3.5 as 4 is a bit high and 3 too low

Worst Experience Ever. I had money stolen from my locked bag (Euro 1500). I hid my wallet in my bad and locked it, my mistake is that I did not use the safe. For some reason it seemed a bit sketchy I didn't want to use it. I left my key with the concierge and went out to grab something to eat when I came back the money was missing just the cash nothing else. While complaining at the reception a customer who was checking out overheard me and told us (including the concierge, that his bag had been broken which he then showed us) however since he had nothing valuable in his bag he did not file a complain earlier. The manager when she finally met us dismissed this of course even though the receptionist confirmed that a customer was complaining and I was not making this up. She asked me for proof. How does one prove how much cash he is carrying? or that they got robbed? Should I carry a spy camera around? The thing is a person should feel safe when he or she checks into a hotel. This hotel did not give that feeling. I asked the manager if there were any cameras in the hallways, elevator or stairs to which she said No!!! I think the staff is involved the male french receptionist his body language the way he was talking something seemed off including the house keeping staff. The manager comes across as incompetent just my opinion but of course I have no proof for anything. We were later offered free breakfast as compensation, of course we did not accept. I'm not looking to get someone fired, what happened happened. I feel it is my responsibility to share this, If there is a 1% chance this can happen to you my advise is you stay clear of this place find anything else which has cameras!

"Good Location, close to Metro"
CanadaHumblepie, 02 Novembre 2016

We stayed for three days in Paris and this hotel fit the bill nicely. It is close to the Cadet metro stop, which is a short 10 minute walk. The rooms are small, but typical for a large European city. Breakfast was adequate, with croissants, juice, coffee, cereal, etc. There were no hot meal options or restaurant available in the hotel. There are many restaurants and cafes in the neighbourhood. Our room came with a bar fridge and a kettle. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet. The bed was comfortable. We would stay here again.

"Wonderful stay in Paris"
Sinta A, 09 Octobre 2016

My staying in this hotel only add good memories from Paris. I was staying for 5 nights in this hotel. The staffs were very nice. One of the gentleman even kindly offered to help me with my problem with one of shopping place. The room was good with modern touch. The space was okay, not big but also not small. Wifi also worked nicely, no complaints from us. The location of the hotel is also strategic, near to two metros, supermarket, mc donald, starbucks and park. We also can ride bus from bus stop near the hotel to the eiffel tour. Suggestion for improvement: provide the new mineral water and some of toiletries (body lotion) every day.

"Welcoming,friendly,great location."
Máire B, 03 Octobre 2016

My sister, nephew & I had a two night stay here. The hotel is well kept, clean & comfortable. The room, though a little small for three, was well appointed, modern bathroom. The beds are really comfortable. The pillows fantastic( hotel pillows are usually like rocks). The staff are extremely helpful & friendly, especially the night manager. No problem with language. Loads of restaurants nearly by.Metro five minutes away.I would highly recommend this hotel and will return one day.

"Very central and quite place"
SmallWorld1970, 29 Septembre 2016

I loved staying in Anjou Lafayette Opera. The hotel is very centrally located still very quite. Staff was very helpful, kind and cooperative. From the room on the top floor you can see the top of Eiffel Tower and Basilica du Sacre-Coeur.

"Great location. Nice hotel"
Emily P, 05 Août 2016

We stayed at this hotel in July 2016. We had a triple room for the 3 of us. The room was quite crammed, and would be more suited as a twin room. Other than that, it was in a great location, was quiet and the staff were very helpful. We caught the Eurostar from London and it was only a short transfer from the train station. We used the metro whilst in Paris, there is a station only 3 minutes from the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and had everything you need. We also had a bar fridge, and tea and coffee in our room which was great. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

"A very pleasant stay!"
Jim B, 26 Juillet 2016

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very quiet and we slept great. Great location too, plenty of nice restaurants nearby as well as tge metro station. It was nice to get an early check in and find the ait conditioning already running for us. Nicely renovated room with a large modern bathroom. We stayed on the 6th floor and it was very quiet. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Great location and helpful staff!"
Jun057, 19 Juillet 2016

I was stranded alone in Paris without a passport over a long weekend. My room was comfortable and I was eventually moved into a slightly larger room with a view. The staff was non-obtrusive but very accomodating, helping me with a variety of needs over my stay. One staff member sent me to her hairdresser around the corner. This experience went a long way towards making me feel welcome in a city I had only been to once before as an adult. Other staff were also helpful with travel details, restaurant suggestions and other details. Downsides were the carpets in the rooms were so worn as to appear dirty. Also, not all rooms had the same amenities which seemed odd. Breakfast choices were okay, though the basement room it was located in felt uncomfortably small. All in all a good stay.

murphsLaunceston, 04 Juillet 2016

A very central location with 2 Metro stations nearby. Also just a quick walk to the hop on hop off bus stop at Opera House. Delightful staff Valerie and Frederick made the stay fantastic. They ere happy to help with tips on restaurants, how to get around, recon firming ongoing reservations and the like, all with a happy disposition. We had to leave early for tours on two occasions and even with this being prior to the scheduled breakfast time, Frederick opened up early and made coffee and had the pastries and breakfast buffet ready. He said he would do it again,,,, so ask him.. Great stay

"Good option in rue Lafayette"
Mosteirola, 30 Juin 2016

Good place with an excellent AC in one of the hottest weeks of the year. The room was very well and the AC was running before my arrival. The staff is quite correct and polite. A hotel with a good money for value relation for a business trip or for a weekend in Paris.

"Good Location"
Stephen R, 10 Juin 2016

Just a couple of blocks from a metro stop with lots of restaurants nearby. The room was very clean and quiet. I could mirror every word that Elaine M has stated. The metro in Paris was so very easy to use so we were near major attractions very quickly. I might add that we just returned a couple of weeks ago and felt safe all over Paris. Lots of police presence but did not feel threatened by them, felt good to know that the authorities are really on top of the violence as well as any location could be.

"Comfortable & convenient to metro"
Elaine M, 07 Juin 2016

This is a small hotel that has some of the typical features of European hotels - small rooms, small elevators, but with updated bathrooms and good amenities (in-room safe, fridge and hot water pot, hair dryer, good shower & updated bathroom). The hotel is on a small side street, so it's pretty quiet at night. Comfortable bed. Reception staff were pleasant and helpful in giving directions. Breakfast was a nice European style buffet - yogurts, croissants, breads, cheese, cold cuts, fruit, etc. The location is convenient to a couple of metro stations, about 10-15 minute walk to Opera Garnier and a couple of major department stores. However, it's not near major tourist attractions. Neighborhood was attractive and felt safe to walk around in. Several small (and good) restaurants nearby, plus convenience stores/markets, ATMs, drugstores. I was on a group tour so can't speak to room prices for other travelers.

"Good bang for the buck ..."
Tim D, 01 Juin 2016

We seem to chose a different hotel every time that we go to Paris. The circumstances are always different. This time our guests wanted a "triple" room and not all hotels have them. BW Anjou has a pleasant staff and is a great value for the money. Comfortable, modern and clean rooms. Decent wifi for free. Normal European breakfast. Umbrella use, which we appreciated because it rained on us for 2 days. About 200 meters from the Cadet Metro station on line 7. Overall, a very pleasant experience. Parking is nearby at 35 euro for 24 hours.

"Functional and clean"
GalileoBlue, 11 Mai 2016

I did not have any great expectations about the hotel before I arrived. I just needed a place to stay for a couple of nights while I participated in conference calls. The room was small as expected, but clean, comfortable and functional. The breakfast buffet was sparse but ok for a quick bite.

"Best Hotel"
Youssef H, 24 Avril 2016

Great Hotel with even better greater staff. It's very clean and very safe. The concierge is very friendly, helpful , and has a lot of information about great places to go. It's near metro Cadet just 2 or 3 streets away. They also serve a good breakfast and have a great car service to and from the hotel. The only comment I can make is that the Internet is sometimes slow. However it works well and smoothly the rest of the time You are also surrounded by supermarkets, a Starbucks, a McDonald's, and a lot of other restaurants You don't really have to take the bus the metro will take you anywhere with just one or 2 changes in the line maximum So all in all I was very pleased and satisfied with my stay and will definitely recommend it for my friends and family

"Great 3 star"
Sophie M, 14 Avril 2016

I stayed at the Anjou Lafayette in March and loved it. The location was perfect, I loved the authentic decoration in my room and the person at the desk was really lovely and recommended some good restaurants. I will come back for sure.

"Nice stay & some tips"
KathyHeMak, 14 Février 2016

My husband and I stayed here for a night. It is about a block away from the Cadet metro station. The morning we arrive we walked from the Opera station after the Roissybus drop us off. We arrived way too early for check in but they offered to store our bags. The hotel is clean and neat. Very cozy, although it is on the smaller side, they offer good amenities. They have a hot water kettle for instant coffee and tea. In the bathroom they offer cotton swabs and shower caps in addition to shower gels. The location of the hotel is a block away from McDonald's, and a few nice restaurants near by. There is also a supermarket called G20 that offers fresh baguette through out the day and cheap crime de foie. It is also a good location to pick up some water. Overall I think the hotel is super affordable and the quality is good.

"Good welcome "
Martin C, 07 Février 2016

I stay in this holiday every 6 months for business - good value and well located for Gare Nord, restaurants, metro and shops - same reception team for several years who are very friendly and helpful - hotel currently being upgraded and I hope the prices which are fairly high are not increased. Overall a very good hotel.

"cozy comfort"
Matt F, 30 Janvier 2016

I have stayed here twice, it offers a relatively inexpensive option to stay in the city. A quiet hotel not far from two Metro stations in the Opera district. The rooms are typical for Europe, a bit on the smaller side. Clean. Most of the front desk staff speak decent English. They were extra helpful in allowing me to charge my iPhone at the desk since I did not have the proper converter. I would stay here again.

"Well located with plenty of asian food around"
Dave L, 27 Décembre 2015

Definitely a place to stay in Paris. The reception spoke English and introduced us to the various type of breakfast they served. We are also very happy with the room and its cleanliness. The decor is chic and modern with comfy beds. Location wise, it is close by the metro, supermarket and if you craze for Chinese food, there are a few options near by. Quiet and safe too.

"Home away from home"
Jenny W, 20 Septembre 2015

This was my first visit to Paris and I was nervous about staying alone in such a huge city. It was close to so many attractions and near the Metro ( where isn't) and also only a short walk to The Gard Nord. Restaurants close by as well as cheap and cheerful cafes. The room was clean and warm with a nice view of the street from my window. The staff were polite and helpful. I would certainly stay here again if ever I return to Paris.

"Decent stay, close to metro"
Chitra_Bharath, 13 Septembre 2015

This hotel was the perfect place for us as it was close to metro stns, Saravana Bhavan (South Indian Vegetarian Restaurant) and most attractions were within 5 mins ride on metro. In Paris, that is pretty awesome for our budget. Metro Line 7 took us directly to Pyramides (which is one of the pick up points for the Big Bus Tours). The locality seemed safe too, we were out around midnight and didn't see any shady characters around. We reached the hotel late morning hoping to find a place to keep our luggage, but the staff in-charge was kind enough to actually let us check-in into one of our rooms (we had booked 2 rooms). The rooms were decent sized, but we got twin beds in our room and the gap between the beds was considerable; the worst part was that the beds kept sliding, increasing the gap. The air-conditioning worked perfectly though and the bathroom was quite OK. The breakfast is not included in the room cost and since we paid extra for it, I expected it to be better, it was quite mediocre, canned fruits really annoy me. But I would still recommend this place due to its other advantages and it's Paris - your money only goes this far!

I stayed in this hotel during my recent Paris visit for 3 nights. Comfortable stay, rooms are quite even though it's close to Main Street. Clean and good house keeping. Informative and helpful front desk. Good housekeeping. I did not have any breakfast in the hotel, therefore, can not comment about food taste and quality. Will stay again.

"Lovely rooms, great location"

The rooms are cozy witha touch of design, small size but expected given the price and location and decent wifi. Staff are very pleasant, no room service available, but its not much of a problem cuz the hotel quite central. Perfectly acceptable for spending the night while exploring paris all day.

"Very nice hotel"

When we arrived at the hotel, we were earlier than the check-in time and so had to wait for just over an hour in the hotel reception (with no real apology...) for our room to be ready. Other than that, the staff were helpful and accommodating, allowing us to leave our bags at the hotel after we had checked out whilst we explored Paris until our train ride home. The reception and lobby areas are really nice - very clean and well presented. We booked a superior double room, which was a good size. I wouldn't have wanted a smaller room. The bathroom was much more spacious than anticipated too. We didn't have breakfast as we thought it was very expensive (12 euros) for what it was (continental breakfast), so I cannot comment upon the food. Overall, we were pleased with our choice - a really good 3* hotel.

"Great location, decent hotel"

Stayed here for three nights while traveling solo. The hotel is in a great area. It provides a haven from the touristy parts of the city I frequented during my short trip in Paris. Within walking distance, you'll find a great variety of restaurants and convenience stores, as well as a small park and playground if you happen to be traveling with children. A little further is the famous Galeries de Lafayette. Also nearby are two subway stations which will connect you to any part of the city - often without changing trains. At worst, you may need to transfer once to get to places like the Eiffel Tower. The room itself was a good size, comfortable bed, and big bathroom. My room also had a desk, and window which fully opened. The room had free wifi, which worked well by hotel room standards. My two complaints also have to do with the room. The air conditioning in my room was poor. Thankfully I could open a window, but it still made sleeping uncomfortable. My second issue was with the room safe which simply did not work. At the right price, this is a safe choice.

"Not bad"

Typical hotel, small, ugly, old. It is very close to Gare du Nord, close to restaurants. The room was very small, from the window you could see a horrible courtyard. Value for money very low. I will not return to this hotel.

A very nice hotel and very helpful and friendly staff..not-so-spacious room for me but i like it so much..the basic facilities are complete and very near to Metro Station so that easy for me to travel.. The hotel location is strategic as well and pleasant for shoppers to go to Gallery Lafayette by walking or using Metro. It so close...

"nice hotel, large room, reasonable price"

downtown near Lafayette. Nice room and toiletries were so impressive. The staff was friendly, eager to help travelers with good recommendations. The hotel looks small outside but the room is quite large and I got a window with a nice town view too.

"Good location and value"

The hotel is very well located - easy to get to Gare du Nord and Gare du Est, with transit connections down by the Siene for the tourist attractions. The rooms are small (but that is expected in Paris), the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the city to help tourists get around.

I would highly recommend the stay at this chic little hotel in Paris. Very comfortable, room décor very fashionable and quaint. I traveled solo on this trip so I didn't need a large room or many amenities as I spent most of my time outside.

"Great Stay for Weekend Trip"

I would highly recommend this hotel. I read other reviews and was concerned about safety and cleanliness. This hotel I felt completely safe and walked around the nearby area even late at night. When I arrived I was hungry and there was a McD's right down the street. For first timers that only speaks English, I would recommend a shuttle or taxi from the airport to get you there as it would be difficult to find if you took the train or a bus and then had to walk. This hotel is tucked on a side street by a busy road, therefore it was very quiet. I had no troubles sleeping. The room was small but able to store bags and organize and was just fine. The bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean, internet worked great, and the hotel staff was helpful and friendly. They stored my bags for me as well in a locked location. The subway stop - Cadet - is a short 5 minute walk. The 7 line to the Opera stop was a great way to get to all the attractions. I bought a two day unlmited pass on the train for 20 Euro and was perfect for me. I took the train everywhere. I would definitly stay at this hotel again.

"Little Gem in Paris"

We haven't stayed in other Paris hotels, but this hotel seems like a little gem with a great location on a tiny street. We liked the easy metro access and enjoyed the restaurant across the street along with others within easy walking distance. The room was smaller than most we have stayed in, but we understand that is typical of European hotels (and to be fair, hotels in downtown Manhattan, NYC). There was room for three of us and our fairly large luggage without feeling unduly cramped. We had a top floor room with a full (maybe queen) and a twin bed. The use of a twin bed was perfect for the room size and for our party. All in all, a very nice place to come back to after a day of activities and sightseeing, knowing that we could spend a quiet evening and get a good dinner without another metro trip. USA travelers, heads up - the bathroom electrical outlet is for electric shavers only; other appliances will not work, something we also encountered in Spain. Hair dryers are provided. Also, staff will arrange shuttle service to airport.
