    « Poor Hospitality »

We came to France a couple weeks ago on March 26th, 2018, sadly for an unexpected death of my husband's father. We had already just stayed 9 nights at this hotel and on average paid $250 per night. After those 9 nights, we left the hotel to go to the south of France for a couple days for the funeral. We left 2 of our luggages at the hotel so we would not have to lug them on the train, and we also reserved one more night stay once we got back to Paris. Straight to the point, there was a simple misunderstanding and our room that we booked for the one night had been released because apparently we did not call to confirm by a certain time, according to the hotel. My husband on the other hand, understood it as, if we don't call to cancel, our reservation is confirmed. Since my husband has been in the hotel business for over 16 years working as Manager and Director for Four Seasons, Fairmont, L'Ermitage, he understands that misunderstandings happen in his business and understood it as a simple misunderstanding. He also knows the proper way to handle an issue like this is a solution-oriented approach by hotel personnel. The front desk receptionist named Jamila (brown hair, well-nourished) at the front desk, displayed a lack of proper hospitality training toward a solution-oriented approach but, instead, called out my husband in front of all the hotel guests in the lobby heavily insisting, ?no sir, I was there the day you reserved the room and my collègue clearly told you that we would cancel the room if you didn't call.? My husband responds, ?that was not my understanding? and he proceeded to explain his side. At this point Jamila retorted back at my husband continuously and forcefully, shaking her head, and raising her voice pursuing that my husband was the only one Wrong, insinuating by using a strong accusing tone that he was a liar ?No sir No sir, I heard her, she explained it to you very clearly, you knew what she meant, etc. ? about 5-7 times she repeated this! Fighting back arguing with a hotel guest after we spent 9 nights paying over 2 thousand dollars?!?! Unbelievable! I was completely shocked, even my husband who always is very reasonable in these circumstances started to get upset as she raised her voice at us strongly insinuating him a liar and trying to have a debate with him in the lobby that basically my husband was not being forward with the conversation that had taken place for the 1 night reservation. That is when I stepped in and said that is not the right way to treat us after we spent all these night here, I literally called her out on how she was behaving to us raising her voice in front of guests and then she decided to MAD DOG ME with stern evil eyes, was snarling at me with her vocal scoffs, and at that point I looked at her back and said what are you looking at me like that for?!? Thank goodness the other front desk personnel was there and apologized and got in between us and I said I wanted the manager to get involved. We could see the manager come to the front desk as we were seating in the lobby and he basically resolved it by booking us with their sister property for the same rate as they were fully booked, and appropriately couvered our taxi fare to get there. It ended up being a really nice hotel in a great area so at least that worked out. However the manager passed by us twice and just smiled but did not apologize nor did he acknowledge the situation with us. And we wasted an hour on our last day in Paris dealing with this. I am writing this because I believe that when people treat people with no respect, especially in the hotel business as a FRONT DESK person, they should be reprimanded. We also deserve an apology by the manager and Jamila. The way Jamila handled us was, to say the least, for a hotelier in Paris at a 5 Star diamond hotel, extremely disappointing. Obviously we wanted to stay another night there, but after Jamila's poor service, we do not look forward to returning back.

« It's an ok hotel but in no way it is a 5 Star hotel »

This is a nice potentially 4 star hotel. The only difference here is the that in 4 star hotel all standard amenities, such as water in the room are complimentary and here they would charge you 6 Euro for it. The staff (especially the night staff I encountered ) was passively rude. In other words, he was like a robot not tying to help but simply repeating the same sentence again and again when asked a simple question. Perhaps it's the Parisian way of customer service and us ?dumb Americans? don't get it. The rooms are nice (small, but this is Paris and like in NYC you don't expect a huge room) and the location is good. So no problems there. Just don't think to yourself that you are booking a 5 Star hotel. In US it would be maybe a 4 or a good 3+. So if you have to pay anything above $200-250 per night - look elsewhere with that budget.

    « Beautiful boutique hotel »

Excellent hotel within walking distance of the Champs-Elysées, Louvre etc. Room was the cheapest available, but was luxurious in style and comfortable. No bath in the bathroom but modern wet room with shower. Free WiFi. Triple glazed windows really kept the noise out.

« Lovely little hotel in the middle of Paris »

A really good option of you're looking for a nice city hotel in the middle of everything, with clean rooms and good transport access. Near the main shopping district. Next door to a major train station (Gazare). Close to the Museum district arrondissement 1. Walking distance to the Louvre etc Staff very friendly, nice complimentary coffee and sweets!

    « Had higher expectations »

If you are focused on location and being in a hotel only to sleep then this is fine. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately, the most basic and logical requests just seem to be too much to ask for. In a room for two when coffee facilities are available one would hope for two cups - sadly no. We asked the front desk, the concierge and room service for three days straight! We had to order coffee via room service - which was comped but that didn't undo the irritation. The bar is a mere after thought in reception and the lift (there is only one ) was the very slowest one ever encountered. Not on the return to list

    « Practical »

For those who want to have the center of Paris in hand, close to everything. Staff very good. Practical for those who want to walk without worrying about the distance, simple location in the center, When I return to Paris I will be new to this hotel, the first room and the price compatible with the reality of the economy. Really enjoyed it.

    « Amazing Hotel! »

This hotel is amazing! The service is incredible, it looks lovely, the quality of the matress is insane and the bathroom was amazing. Nothing bad to say about it, only great compliments to make. Also the breakfast was very good with lots of options to choose from. Bonus point for the amazing lighting of the mirror in the bathroom which is always great for a good makeup application. Overall don't hesitate to book a night there! PS: as this is hotel as "Diamond" in its name, expect a lot of bling in the decoration, but it doesn't look tacky and makes a beautiful decor for great Instagram pictures!

« Nothing good except location »

We booked this hotel because it's a 5-star, and in a good location. We were only given 1 complimentary bottle of water on first day, and were told that we have to pay if we want more. This is really unacceptable, especially when the rate wasn't low. We have never come across such situation in any of the hotels we have stayed before, be it 3, 4 or 5-star. Absolutely absurd! We are checking out tomorrow, and will never think of staying in this hotel for our next trips.

« Going the extra mile !! Perfect Hotel in Paris ! »

We firstly chose the Maison Albar Opera Diamond for its location, walking distance from galleries Lafayette, and not far from Champs Elysees and Arc de Triomphe thanks to the St Lazare Metro station nearby ! The breakfast buffet is really good, clean at a times ! Our check in was smooth as our check out! This cosy hotel is a heaven in Paris and the service is top quality ! But we figured out that it's the staff members who make the 5th star !! They made our stay special and took really good care of us. I 100% recommend this hotel for a Parisian stay looking for calm and quality customer service. We will be back !!

    « Impressive! »

On arrival was very impressed from the outside of the hotel and even more so after entering! We had booked 2 executive suites which had balcony's overlooking the busy streets of Paris. Rooms were spacious, modern, clean and we were very impressed. Overall the hotel was great, a little out of the way for tourist attractions but I would recommend staying in this hotel.

« First time in Paris »

From where to start.... We book for a three nights. We were so excited for stay at 5* hotel, in the center of the city. We arrived at 2.30am to the hotel. Night receptionist was little bit lost when he seen us. He asked the name of me and he couldn't find it. Then we gave him the reference number of the booking and still same. So after 20 minutes we asked him to check by my friend name and then finally he found it. Anyway, we request for two single beds and we find out that was one double bed. Imagine, to be so tired, 3am and the first thing you want is to sleep and you need to call again the reception to ask to separate them. Around 3.30 all was done. We were a bit sad that made-up to run a night receptionist, but he did a great job, and big thank you for your help. In the morning we arranged meeting with Oliver (manager). We talked about our unexpected experience to check in, etc. He convinced us that everything is gonna be good. He was very helpful and ready to solve the problem we were facing to make our stay enjoyable. True professional. We called to order some room service. Person who took the phone haven't been able to answer the question about menu, was waiting for an answer for 10min. We ordered chicken brest with pasta and chicken bagel. Chicken brest was half part cold, apparently in both brest we took. The bagel was delicious! Our last night, in the evening, we were watching TV in the room when from nowhere women from Housekeeping apparently opening the doors and coming in. Without any knock or pre inform. So this was a bit awkward moment. Breakfast were good, before checking out we one more time spoke with Oliver, just to over view our stay. Hotel was clean, great location, staff was polite and helpful. Double thank you for the night receptionist and to Oliver.

    « good room »

We went to this hotel for a weekend in November. On arrival hotel is quirky and the staff are very friendly. We were checked in but had to wait a few minutes for the room key. Decided to order a coffee while we waited which was extortionate for a tiny coffee. Rooms soon ready, we had booked an executive suite which was a lovely room and quite big for Paris standards and well decorated. Shower had a window in one side opposite from the door which was a little strange but there was a curtain separating the sleeping area from the shower, sink and toilet area which was fine. We found the location good for getting around. The staff were very good and helpful. Only issue I had with this hotel was the cleaning staff. On arrival when the lift opened they were standing with the cleaning trolly in the way discussing something and totally ignoring the fact that we were there and needed to get past until we actually asked them and them. The room was cleaned to a good standard however we mostly had a drink in the bar after returning from our day out and took the glass up with us to finish and for some reason these glasses were not removed from the room which was strange. Also there are coffee making facilities in the room and two cups were left even though there was three guests. I did love the decor of the hotel and overall this was a very good stay with comfortable rooms with good comfortable beds and plenty of space and the turn down service was a nice touch. The cocktails were lovely too. Also right next door to the shop for any supplies you may need, very handy.

    « Great »

The room is slightly larger and much better appointed than any I've stayed in France. Not, luxurious, but very, very pleasant. The reception staff, Amandine, Caroline, and Daphine were beyond helpful. They were pleasant, charming, polite, engaging. The location is both good and bad. None of the usual Paris sites are an "easy" walk away, but Gare St. Lazare is next door, the Metro stops convenient, and restaurants plentiful.

« Get What you Pay For »

First of all, to all those in the reviews below calling this hotel not a five star hotel - well, technically it is. Hotel star ratings do not necessarily reflect on the luxuriousness or whatever of a hotel - the best indicator of that is honestly the price - but rather on the level of services provided by the hotel in question. If the hotel has a 24 hour check-in/front desk, turndown service, and a variety of other services that I can't be bothered to look up right now, it counts as a five star hotel. That having been said, I think that this hotel in question qualifies... but just barely - in particular, not having a Spa located within this hotel building itself is a glaring oversight (although to be honest, Paris is such a vibrant city - this was my fifth visit in four years - that I probably wouldn't have taken out time to have used it anyway). That having been said - I payed an average of 180 euros a night for a period of ten nights in Paris. What can you really expect at that price in Paris? I'll say that I certainly got my money's worth: the hotel is well located right next to the St. Lazare train station - about a thirty minutes' walk from the Gare du Nord - and the wifi was excellent. They had heated Japanese toilets, and the room, while somewhat oddly shaped (I'm fairly certain I had an attic room, which gave it a strange sloping quality), was spacious enough. The only gripes I really have is the fact that their minibar snacks are overpriced (but again - it's Paris), and they initially tried to preauthorize my card for 50 euros a night - which to me is a bit much (they ended up preauthorizing it for 250 a night; still, I dislike preauthorizations). The room service night menu is also terrible - I'm almost certain it's literally just microwave meals, but hey - there's a Mark and Spencer's literally right outside of the hotel, so just stock up on some sandwiches if you want - or, if it's past 10 and you're hungry, there's a Quick Burger (which is like Fast Food, but French, and therefore actually good) just a three minutes' walk away from the hotel - so there's no real cause for complaint there. All in all, at 180 euros a night, it was an agreeable stay, and I have no real criticisms. That having been said, I might try for another hotel next time I'm in Paris - maybe the Hotel Regina - so that I can be even closer to the center of the city. But honestly - if I can get another 180 a night deal here, I'd probably end up returning, next time I'm in Paris.

    « Comfortable but not a 5 star hotel »

Really good hotel, quite fancy and incredibly comfortable at a great location. But our room was tiny, tacky glued together furniture, subpar TV and quite expensive services. Definitely not a 5 star hotel (if you can compare). But wow, heated toiled and a first hotel I slept till 10AM tho!

« Hotel with a good service and location »

My husband and I stayed here for 8 nights. From the moment we stepped into the hotel we were warmly greeted by the reception staffs. Quick check in and out. Rooms are larger than average Paris Hotel. Small gestures like complimentary macarons and mineral water really make our day in Paris sweeter. Location wise is pretty good, short walks away to Printemps & Galleries Lafayette. Metro & Train is just around the corner. On the 2nd day, we had issues with the lightings system and this were promptly attended. Thanks to Mr. Oliver who personally came to our room and explained the situation and arranged the technician to sort out the issues. 5 star service and professionalism from the Assistant Manager. Definitely my first choice hotel in Paris!

    « Lovely Boutique Hotel »

The hotel is located in walking distance to Gare Saint-Lazare. The lobby is small but nicely decorated. The perfectly clean rooms have a convinient size and feature Japanese toilets. The staff speaks English well. It is the perfect "home base" to explore the city for a weekend or a week.

« Definately NOT a five star hotel »

We stayed in the hotel in November -not a busy season. It has a TINY unimpressive lobby and NO SPA OR POOL. If you look at the website they promote spa packages but on inquiry I found that to get a massage or use spa or pool you have to go to a sister property!!! What kind of 5 star would make you do that? They also don't have a dedicated concierge desk. The front desk acts like a concierge and they don't have answers to basic questions. One of the primary benefits we look for in a five star is help with planning tours and restuarant recommendations etc. And they fell short. I got betters answers from the concierge desk at four seasons whom I called to ask about their resturant menu!! I ended up googling everything myself and spending precious vacation time trying to figure out logistics!! Also room service replenishments did not happen and we had to call for milk to make coffee and shampoo etc. And it was someone from the front desk who came to deliver!! Once in the morning they said they were too busy to come and will send it later-which never happened. Lot of reviews mentioned they are close to the train station but might as well pay for a Hilton or a 3 star if you want location advantage. They have no businesss marketing themselves as a Five star hotel. Total scam.

« Boutique hotel at the Opera »

This can certainly be considered a top hotel for the following reasons: 1. Perfect location 2. Rooms larger than average in Paris 3. Great attention to the customer 4. Staff perfectly trained 5. Extremely clean 6. Room equipped with all you need and expect at this level 7. Free high speed WiFi 8. Large shower box even in a small bathroom but with all comforts, even with heated toilet If I should find something I would improve, I would say a better choice of TV channel and a quicker water flowing in the sink ( it could have been a temporary problem though). Prices not certainly inexpensive but in line with the quality offered. Small breakfast 9,00 Euros, large one 25,00.

« Week stay during Medical Conference. »

I stayed at this 'Best Western' which I had to laugh when I first heard the hotel's affliliation. I honestly can't say if I've ever stayed at a Best Western before, if I have I don't remember it. Anyway, the experience I had during my stay for a week was very good. From the location, right across from the Metro Station, to the Staff, very pleasant, to the room, great view of the Boulevard. My only criticism, and it's minor, is the elevator service was slow. Only (2) elevators for my wing of the hotel, and it was used by the maid service as well. If you're looking for a good hotel, great location, and friendly staff, I would recommend checking the Maison Alber out. Don't be put off by the 'Best Western' affiliation. LOL

    « Family suite - just perfect »

The suite was spacious and very luxurious. Definitely felt like an upscale resort hotel with no detail / amenity spared. Staff was nice and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay. In addition, I had the suite for one night and a regular room for the second night, but they upgraded me to the suite for the second night at no extra charge which was very much appreciated.

« My yearly excursion to Paris »

Well I normally stay in the sister hotel on McMahon avenue just off the Champe elysees which is great but decide to change this year. A great hotel with the same type of decor but great room size and great staff!!!!!!! This hotel giving you great access to a different part of Paris. A word of warning if you come in from charles de Gaulle airport. Get the under ground from Charles de Gaulle to Franklin and then to st Augustine other line. Hotel less then 700 metres away. Went the wrong way and ended up nearly getting mugged until i stood up to them and told them to [email protected]@@ off. Be careful there is no longer the same police present on the underground there used to be. Times cause prioritising the under ground is no longer it.

« Luxury at affordable prices right in the heart of Paris! »

we have just come back from a three day stay at this hotel in Paris. It was amazing. Suberb location: right next to Saint Lazare railway station, minutes away from Blv Haussman, Madelaine, Concord and Champ Elysse. Excellent room: spacious, with a lot of natural light, with the correct amount of style and luxury. The bed was just perfect, not too hard, not too soft, not too small, not too big. A Japanese toilet (if you do not know what that is, make sure to look it up, because it does add value to the room!). Very good wifi and the hotel is equipped with air play that allows you to watch anything that can be played on your phone, tablet or laptop on the TV screen. I especially enjoyed this and it was the first hotel we found this feature in. Service was very good (there was even turn down service, which I enjoy) and staff was very polite and helpful. They accomadated our needs and helped us with all our requests. I also enjoyed the complimentary macaroons we found in our room upon arrival. Breakfast was very good and with significant variety. I strongly recommend this hotel and we are planning to return on our next visit to the city.

« Modern, Good Service, Convenient to Train Station »

Staff was very friendly and spoke English. The ?superior king? room was small but comfortable, and included a shower, mini fridge, TV, toiletries, and snacks/drinks (to buy). Breakfast was available for 25€. The hotel is within walking distance to Gare Saint Lazare. I enjoyed our stay, but there are hotels available that are a better value for the cost.

    « Excellent location - great stay »

We visited from November 4th thru to the 11th 2017. The greeting we received was excellent, every time you walk in or out of the lobby your are welcomed and acknowledged. Arriving from Canada jet lagged from the overnight flight reception was helpful and gave us a quick idea of what was nearby to check out. Our room was on the 5th floor and it had a little balcony which was a bonus. Room was clean and housekeeping was amazing. Each morning the room was spotless and when we got home in the evening turn down service was done. I read some of the reviews about the decor being a bit over the top but it's Paris, enjoy it! Only visited the bar once but the service was excellent. The Japanese corners in the bathroom were great. If I am going to install something in my house this is it. Obviously this bathroom feature is not as big of thing in Canada as in Europe but this thing was great. Location of the hotel was ideal. I was traveling out to the CDG airport each morning for a conference and using Metro. It was about a 30 minute train ride. The Metro station is literally the other side of the street and one stop on the Metro takes you to the Guard De Nord where you can take and express train right to the convention center and the next stop is Terminal's 1 and 3 of the airport. Super easy and convenient. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Paris. Opera House, Champs Elysee, shopping, fine dining, all within walking distance and everything else is a quick Metro trip away. Buy a Metro pass early in the week - the Nav-i-Go. It is about 27 eruos and can be purchased Monday thru Thursday.... its all you will need to get around. That and a weeks museum pass.

« Best Hotel in Paris! »

I stayed here at the beginning of November as a couple. First and foremost the location is the best I've had in Paris (I've been 4 times in total) it is right by Saint Lazare station which is approx. a 15min journey from Gare Du Nord (eurostar station) We were able to travel to all major tourist sites and places we wanted to visit from Saint Lazare station with ease. It is a major station and had many lines so had no need for cabs etc. We originally got out at the wrong exit so ended up walking about 10mins to the hotel - make sure you take the 'cour de rome' exit. You will be right across the street from the hotel. There is a Starbucks, M&S (yes I know - amazing!) right next to the hotel. The reception area is lovely and the most modern I have experienced in Paris, beautiful velvet sofas and marble floors everywhere. We were greeted by the receptionists who were very welcoming and allowed us to check in much earlier than expected, around 12:30 I think. This was great, and we received a room on the 5th floor with a balcony and a cool view of the busy square with the station. We had free macaroons in our room which we really appreciated, my partner had never had them before so this was truly special. The room itself was true luxury (and much bigger than any other I've had in Paris), huge flat screen TV (which had the ability to sync your apple phone and watch on the big screen!) mirrored ceiling, chandelier, huge comfy bed, not to mention the Japanese toilet which had a million different buttons, a bidet and a heated toilet seat - what more could you ask for? We had bathrobes and slippers which we utilized, and the bathroom was pristine. We discovered there is a switch just outside the bathroom which plays the TV sound into the bathroom - what a luxury! I cannot actually name all the lovely things about the hotel/room because there are so many, but I also cannot think of 1 negative so that says a lot. I'm not sure why anyone would leave a bad review for this hotel and if you are hesitant please don't be! BOOK! We were so happy to have such a beautiful hotel to come back to and often didnt want to leave the room. I certainly will stay here again and again when I next come to Paris. Thank you for a beautiful trip. Miki

« Lovely hotel, great staff »

I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! The rooms are a good size and well appointed. The location near the Opera was an excellent starting point for restaurants and shopping. Don't miss the restaurant down the street called Boullard for dinner! The only downside was that it was not convenient to the Palais De Congres where my meetings were. There is a metro stop close by but required a change to get to Port Maillot and was slow due to service interruptions. I tried it twice and gave up both times to take an Uber (about 8 euros). The staff was lovely. I wish they would leave waters in the rooms, but I discovered bottled water in the gym.

    « Eh »

If you're into bondage, the décor of this hotel will appeal to you. Kind of tacky, pretending to be chic, with an undertone of whips and chains. The size of the room and the bathroom was decent. The shower was a mess. The beds are comfortable. The people who work there are nice. It's a weird hotel. Maybe some rooms are better than others?

« Great hotel if you're okay without a large selection of amenities »

Spent almost a week at this hotel on a recent business trip. The bed, shower and service (room service, laundry etc) is first class. Unfortunately it is a very noisy hotel with traffic and people never settling down. Also, it does not have a great restaurant ... but then, when in Paris, dine out! Free wifi but otherwise a little pricy.

« Most stunning hotel Ive ever stayed in!!! Exceptional Staff and Service »

This hotel was beyond amazing, I could not fault the service of the staff and the views are amazing!!! From the moment you walk into the lobby, to the rooms ....everything was just amazing. The best feature of the hotel is definetley the Rooms and the Lobby area..The service from the hosts and hostesses is exceptional......Restaurants and cafes are all literally at your doorstep as soon as you walk out the Lobby door. I suggest you go to the cafe to your right with the red advertising (forgot the name of it) and ask for the breakfast menu.....the Croissants/Omlettes and fresh juice is amazing!!!! and cheap! and just opposite is smaller cafes where you can buy beautiful Pastries/rolls and Pastas and desserts...the desserts are to die for in Paris so its a must! Theres even a Starbucks next door to the hotel if your needing your coffee fix which is convenient. Everything from the taxi service to the staff is beyond anything i expected. Except be careful of Taxis that dont use Meters...we have been in situations where they state their price after you jump in the taxi to get to a destination and they dont use their meters. So when you jump into a cab just say "Meter" and they will say yes or no and if they say no...get straight out or you will be paying for 30-35 even 40 euro for a 5-6 minute drive! The rooms are fully furnished, gorgeous, modern and clean and have all the extras you would expect (even Chopard essentials in your bathroom) Wi-fi was fast and excellent especially for those who are working while away. The Level of service is a world away from what the hotel looks like on the outside...its even better!!!! Big Congrats to the front desk and hotel staff as the service was more than excellent. Thank you for a great stay, it was amazing, and definetley will be back again. Really Happy Customer, keep it up :) ps. Parisians are also very lovely!! not rude as people have been saying!

« Like staying in your own palace in Paris! »

We spent a week in Paris for our 40th wedding anniversary and decided to splurge a bit and get an executive suite at the Maison Albar Paris Opera Diamond hotel. The photos do not do justice to this lovely, modern hotel. Also, the location is the BEST - just a one minute walk to the Saint Lazar metro and train station. From here, we could get really anywhere in Paris within 2 metro changes, and an metro/train combination to Versailles. The staff were delightful, and our top floor room was luxurious, quiet and comfortable. This place is worth every penny! We would recommend this to anyone who wants comfort while visiting this beautiful city - our experience here was outstanding!

« Lovely place in Paris »

Great location and very good hotel, a perfect combination for a hotel, even more if it was in Paris. The rooms are big, what is a bonus when we think about Paris, and this location, near l`Opera, Champs Elysèes, metro and train stations, lots of restaurants and caffés, is even better.

    « A prefect 25th Wedding Anniversary Celebration! »

First a back story ... 2 weeks prior to our arrival, I emailed the hotel to let them know that we were celebrating our 25th anniversary and I was hoping if possible if we could get a room with a view of the city. They responded quickly with "We took note of the special occasion and will do our utmost to arrange one of our best room with a good view" We had booked/ paid for a standard room, so I wasn't expecting an upgrade to a suite or anything like that ... I was just hoping for at least a standard room that wasn't facing a brick wall or a parking lot. Their utmost, was their UTMOST! They upgraded us to a room on the 5th floor (rm 501) with a beautiful balcony view of the square/ Gare St Lazare and a box of macaroons. This wonderful surprise was so appreciated and it definitely set the tone for our 5 day stay! Review: The beautifully decorated room was well appointed with lots of storage space which includes a closet. The king size bed was very comfortable with many pillows to choose from. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels and toiletries. The room had many extras like a coffee maker, a mini fridge, slippers, robes and free movies (in English) . The bathroom had a spa shower, towel heater, sound system and the most unbelievable toilet I have ever seen and believe me I don't get to excited when seeing a toilet but this one had everything!! (combination toilet/bidet, dryer, w/a seat heater) The location was prefect about a 1/2 hour walk to the Arc de Triomphe, 1 hour walk to the Eiffel Tower but if you choose to take the subway there is a stop just minutes away from the hotel. We chose to walk everywhere during our stay... after all you're in Paris, the most romantic city in the world, why miss out on what's just around the corner. There are many brasserie and restaurants all within a short walking distance. And yes... if you must have your daily Starbuck's, there's even one of those in about a 1-2 minute walk from the hotel. **Hint** There is a Marks and Spencer Foods next door At the end of each day, we would stop in the Marks and Spencer to grab freshly prepared fruit salads, yogurts, juices and butter - bread we picked up along the way in the boulangeries And there you have it, a quick/inexpensive breakfast, ready for the next morning to eat in the comfort of your own room! We had laundry sent out about midway of our stay and upon our arrival late afternoon the following day it was hand delivered to our room. We were very pleased with the service ... it was cleaned individual folded/sealed in plastic wrap or hanging on hangers. **** Wow!! It was on the pricey side, you may have to think if it is worth trying to save space in your luggage by packing less. This was an outside service which the hotel has no control over, just a FYI. Last but not least the staff... all staff were very welcoming and helpful. We were always greeted with a smile and a Bonjour or a Bonsoir and they were always eager to answer any questions we had. In closing we would like to thank Maison Albar Hotel for making our anniversary so very special from the biggest gesture of giving us a very special room with a view, to the littlest gesture of the staff giving us a warm welcome. If we ever have the chance to come back to Paris, we will be sure to stay here again.

« Maison albar hotel opera diamond- my perfect selection !!! »

I couldn't ask for a better hotel, in a perfect location, fancy room, very big and spaces. Helpful team at the front desk and cleaning staff. Great restaurants around, close transportation and walking distance from main attractions. Hamburger next door - the best I've ever eaten! Highly recommended! We will return for sure.

    « Very good Hotel »

The Hotel is very well located, next to Saint Lazare train station. The room are very proper and the people from the hotel are very pleasant. We will really enjoyed our stay there. We will come back for sure.

    « What a gem! »

I will check into this hotel 100 times over - it deserves the 5 star rating! We arrived from a rough flight into Paris early, and the staff welcomed us even though we were 6 hours early. The staff is friendly and efficient, the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, the service is excellent. The breakfast is delicious! The beds and pillows are so comfortable and cozy! Highly recommended!

    « Exceptional, except... »

I really, really want to give 5 star, but unfortunately we had a few "blemishes ". Firstly, the positives- great location, a wonderful greeting, beautiful entrance and foyer. The room is beautiful, romantic and cosy whilst being a good size for Paris. Great use of space, love seperate bathroom and powder room. Beautiful decor. I agree with previous comments of house keeping entering immediately after knocking (not necessary) and we also had someone knocking with the do not disturb sign on ( not great when your jet lagged, unwell and having a nap). Lastly, I cannot recommend their laundry service. We used it twice and both times our items were returned late. One service had a shirt missing, and the next order just went missing! Our last lot of laundry actually returned after we had checked out. The staff were wonderful with handling and rectifying the situation ( they posted it to our next stop), but I can't say I'd use that service again, twice bitten, twice shy. I would go back in a heartbeat, I truly loved everything about this place, apart from those little hiccups, which I could overlook because everything else is so great!

    « Wonderful hotel »

A beautiful, small boutique hotel in an ideal location near Gare St. Lazare. Staff was friendly and helpful and the room clean and modern. Near restaurants and Metro stops. Convenient for taking the train to Versailles for instance. I highly recommend.

    5
    « Great Boutique Hotel »

I did not have extremely high expectations of this hotel and we were in for a wonderful surprise. Being in Paris we were expecting tiny noisy rooms with even smaller dark bathrooms. For that reason we were looking for a reasonable priced suite and booked the diamond suite. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING THIS ROOM. The views of the street below are awesome. The bathroom is huge, but note it is open to the room. The Japanese toilets are fun to play with. The hotel is centrally located close to all the sites and 50 feet from a metro stop.

    2
« Barely existence Housekeeping Services »

Although the room I got had a nice view on the highest floor, I was surprised to see that wine glasses weren't washed, coffee capsules weren't refilled, trash can wasn't empty out, and the coffee mugs that were chipped didn't even get replaced after being out the whole day. It seems like the housekeeping only made the bed and that's it. Despite being an ideal location, I probably won't recommend it to anyone.

    « Maison Albar »

Beautiful hotel with very pleasant staff. Our room was immaculate and our bed was so comfy too. Hotel is close to subway hub which makes travel very convenient. We really enjoyed our vacation in Paris and, choosing this hotel was perfect.

    « Honeymoon »

We have just got back from this hotel which we stayed at for our honeymoon. We had a great time and the hotel was fantastic. It is in a great location, close to two metro stations, train station and also the bus station, all within walking distance. There are lots of restaurants and cafes near by also. Perfect location for exploring as the main sights are a short walk away. Yes it was a bit expensive, and yes breakfast was overpriced, however for a special occasion we thought it was worth it. The only negative I have about this hotel was the housekeeper. I heard a knock at the door and seconds later, the door opened, I hadn't even had chance to move and had only just got out of the shower and was stood in my towel. It was housekeeping asking if I needed new towels. This happened twice and put me on edge for the 3 days we stayed there, with the thought of someone just walking in!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a bit of luxury.

    2
    « Disappointed »

A little disappointed in this hotel. All the facilities were fine, but we expected more for the price. So definitely not value for money. And breakfast wasn't even included in the price we paid. The room was small and the design was strange, very chunky. The staff were good, but cleaning staff also did just walk into our room twice while we were in the room. When the people in the room opposite us opened and closed their door, our room door shook and made a big noise. The location is fine, close to the train stations. Doubt I'd stay here again.

« Well-situated for exploring the river and Montmartre »

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Extremely comfortable bed. Clean and modern rooms. Great shower. Value for money. Having been to Paris before we wanted to explore Montmartre and this hotel was well-situated for that - just a 20min walk to the Moulin Rouge. Also only 20min walk to Champs Elysees, maybe 40 mins to the Eiffel Tower (or a quick metro ride). Also very convenient from the Eurostar - just walk from Gare de Nord to Magenta and take the metro one stop to Haussmann Saint Lazare. The only reason I haven't given this 5/5 was that we felt breakfast was a bit expensive for what it was. Excellent hotel though.

« Like staying in an Obsidian Casino Royale! »

First impression on walking into this hotel is quite breathtaking. It's like an obsidian Casino Royale style, velvet and sparkles on everything. Giving off a very luxurious feel. Staff are very welcoming and helpful, always polite. The hotel is in a central location with a small grocery shop a couple doors down. If your tech savvy, you'll like the Apple TV and fancy light switches. CONS: - WIFI did drop out a fair few times which is annoying when watching a movie or show. - I don't know if people thought our room was a fire exit or what but we were continuously disturbed by people/someone trying to open our door and rattling the door handle?!?! If it was house keeping they surely did not knock or call out which I feel was very intrusive and startling. We did not order room service so company was not expected. Other than this the room was pleasant.

    « Culture, concert, chilling »

Spent 4 nights at Maison Albar Hotel on a trip to Paris for the U2 Joshua Tree Tour. Check in was quick and our room just beautiful. Fourth floor with a view over the boulevard. Large room, nice bed, flat screen tv and generous bathroom. All squeaky clean and probably newly renovated. Location is ok, based on interests. Close to St Lazare station so it was convenient for going to U2 at Stade de France (a few stops away). Walking distance (or short metro ride) to most of the tourist attractions such as Montmartre, Champs Elysees, La Marais, Louvre and close to the grand department stores. Restaurants and cafes close but maybe a bit far for nightlife. Good hotel and nice staff. English speaking but unfortunately not Icelandic speaking:) Only glitch was a fire alarm at three o'clock in the night which woke up all of the guests - somebody smoking in his room. Would stay at such a hotel again - location permitting.

    « Really enjoyable »

Really enjoyable stay at this hotel. Fabulous room on the 5th floor over looking the square. The hotel is very "boutique" and is in a fantastic location for exploring Paris, very close to St-Lazare metro station if you are flying into Paris. The rooms are very nice, fantastic "washlet" toilet-never seen that before, and great coffee machine. Only slight negative about the room-could have done with more coffee pods as these were not replenished at night and only 1 of each type, and also bottled water not replaced after we drank on the first night-disappointing. However all staff very helpful and friendly and we will definitely be returning again.

« 10 days in Paris. Fab hotel. »

We spent 10 days( 9 nights) in Paris and stayed at the Maison Albar Hotel. The hotel was wonderful, very friendly and helpful staff( all speak English, although happy to accept my attempts at French!). Our room was on the 6th floor, bit very nice, spacious, clean, comfortable bed, great bathroom with heated bidet and with huge opening French windows, so we could watch the world go by outside. The area is very convenient, we walked everywhere. Lots of local cafes and places to eat nearby. However, it is very busy, just next to the station, St Lazare. Go and visit the station inside, its like a shopping mall. Unfortunately there are road works outside the hotel, which is not attractive, but doesn't affect the hotel other than a bit noisy when you step outside. Taxis can still get there.

    « Great hotel »

We have stayed in this nice and lovely hotel for three nights. We had nice sleep in one big room that has space for family with two children. They have nice breakfast with good variety. The location of this hotel is excellent near Gare st Lazare and St Augustin Metro. It is not far attractions 3 or 4 metro stops. There are many nice places to eat, Starbucks coffee is in same building and others cafes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Jamila and her colleagues.

    « Amazing!! »

I booked this hotel through hotels.com because it was in a good location and a reasonable price for a Paris hotel. We were in Paris for le Tour de France so wanted a reasonably central base. Both my husband and I were delighted with the hotel! I booked my two night stay on separate bookings, the hotel was full and they couldn't keep us in the same room for both nights, as an apology on our first night they upgraded us to an amazing suite. We loved it! It was huge, the bathroom was fab - it even had a steam room shower with mood lighting and music. We were treated to macaroons in our room and were brought some divine smelling pillow mist for bed time. The staff were very helpful, at all times. I really couldn't fault them. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel, it was €25 each which I think is expensive. Plus, you're in Paris so plenty of places to eat out and watch the world go by. Overall this hotel really made our break, great location, fab little upgrade and great features. I would certainly recommend ... and visit again!

« Wonderful boutique hotel in Paris »

We stayed in this delightful boutique hotel in Paris fairly near all the usual tourist sites. It is very convenient to the underground trains to get around Paris, just a few steps away. There are great cafes around the neighborhood for breakfast or dinner. The rooms are very clean, nicely decorated and the hotel is also very quiet. The only complaints we could have is the air conditioner did not do a great job cooling our room to American standards, but it is probably as good as you get in Paris. The front desk was always helpful exactly what type of transportation to take and where to find it. Terrific stay!

« All lovely and comfortable except for the toilet seat in our room »

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights over the Bastille Day weekend. Location is quite central to many main tourist attractions , restaurants and shopping, about 5 - 30 minutes walk. Or if you prefer, the metro station is only 2-3 minutes walk from the hotel. The area is not my preferred area of Paris, as I prefer somewhere more lively, like Saint Germain. The hotel itself and our room were very stylish with sumptuous decor with contemporary facilities. Our room faced the courtyard which was great for noise level. Our bathroom appeared to be fully refurbished except the toilet seat which looked totally worn, almost like a public toilet. It was rather strange as if it was forgotten during the renovations. We had other friends in another room and their bathroom toilet was new and modern. Everything else was super comfortable in the room. Hence due to the old toilet, I can only rate 3 instead of 4 or 5. All the staff were helpful and polite. The breakfast was lovely and reasonably priced if you have the express option. It was a lovely stay.

    5
    « Lovely weekend break »

The hotel was very attractive and beautifully decorated throughout. The reception was spacious and well staffed. The room was very nice and big enough and the en-suite was very nice with a great shower. Breakfast was perfect and the staff were very helpful.

« Home away from home! »

Amazing experience! My husband and I were looking for all attractions close by and the front desk receptionist Yuly made everything so clear and simple. For someone who travels quite often I have yet to have someone so dedicated like her speaking 4 languages! The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Great value,Overall great service from checkin to check out. Yuly I certainly will be going back!

« as a Parisian, the area is not my favorite, but the hotel is excellent »

attention to details, beautiful room with Japanese toilet, of course the staff is very helpful, location is very central, and the forum des halles looks better than some years ago, but still not my cup of tea to hang around

« Great hotel, great location »

Hotel is centrally located, all the big landmarks are around 30 mins walk but has a metro station less than 5 minutes away. The hotel is well decorated atvthe staff are great, it's also fully air conditioned which was needed on our weekend visit. Add on's are very expensive though. A glass of wine and a small beer was €22 and breakfast is €23 per person. Would come again but will limit the use of hotel facilities.

    5
« Ultra Modern with Old School Charm »

Best Value for a luxury hotel in Paris. In close proximity to the major attractions and shopping. Impeccable service from check in to check out. Breakfast buffet has a fresh variety of options. Rooms are ultra modern; worth the upgrade to the Diamond Suite with Japanese toilet, Chopard bath and body products, and a steam shower! 5 star hotel and highly recommended!

    5
    « Diamonds Everywhere »

Hotel is in a good convenient location in Paris and upon entering, it has a nice warm intimate feeling. It is very very over designed but somehow pulls it off. There are diamonds (fake of course) or diamond logos everywhere ? bedside table, writing desk, mirror, door handles, balcony awnings and even in the Hotel pen! Chopard bathroom amenities are nice and overall the bed was super comfortable.

    « Lovely Hotel! »

Stayed at the Maison Albar for 3 nights room 406. It is a lovely hotel. The staff were really nice and helpful. They helped us with our luggages and gave us drinks as soon as we arrived. The hotel is in the arrondissement 8. It's a very good location near all the main attractions. There's the metro nearby, shopping and restaurants are within walking distance. The rooms are small compare to Canadian or American standards. But this is normal in Europe. Overall, I love this Hotel it's pretty, it's clean, free wifi and in an excellent location. Can't wait to go back.

« Boutique Feel and Good service »

My wife organized a surprise trip for us to France in March 2017. and we stayed at this hotel for a week. It's small and has the boutique feel to it. But it has the necessary amenities including a gym , with Technogym equipment. The room was spacious , modern , with spa bathroom, flat screen TV wifi. Yes your own Spa bathroom. Mirror ceilings. The service was great and the staff very helpful and friendly. The bar man went the extra mile to introduce us to his cocktails. The Hotel is situated very close to two MTR stations making it easy to get around. We had breakfast every morning, it was always good, service always prompt. I will stay there again on my next visit to Paris. I will certainly recommend it to a couple who want a quiet romantic holiday.

« THEY STOLE MY STUFF »

The hotel stole a very valuable stuff from the room please be careful. We left the room at 3 pm requesting house keeping, but when we came back we realized that our stuff were stolen. We asked the manager but she said there are no cameras!!! But when we showed here the cameras which were spread in the corridors, she confess saying that she will request the security to take a look!!!! We left because we had a flight with their promise that they will let us know within two hours, however, they replied after TEN 10 days that there are nothing to notice from the camera and offered an upgrade for next stay. please be careful !!!

    « Paris Trip »

Room was small, but nice. Very expensive. Bed was comfortable. The best part about our stay was the breakfast buffet. The staff was friendly and helpful; however, they knew very little about the surrounding area. Example: they were not familiar with the restaurants in the immediate area and could not make a recommendation on where to eat. Location is excellent. Within about 1.5 miles from most major attractions.

« Good but one major flaw for me »

Booked this hotel for a short stay in Paris upon which I planned to propose to my now fiancé. Emailed the hotel 2 weeks prior to my stay to organise champagne and rose petal to be set up in our room for when we got back from our day out and after my proposal as a surprise to my girlfriend. The hotel replied saying they were happy to oblige at a cost to the champagne and rose petal and would even throw in some free macaroons. This was great news, although when we arrived back at the hotel after our day out this had not been organised I went down to speak to the receptionist who had no knowledge of my request. The manager said that they could set it up that night, I then had a phone call to the room asking if they should bring the champagne to the room now, which then ruined the surprise for my girlfriend. I cancelled the whole thing as it was so badly organised by the hotel. Very disappointing organisation. The woman on reception in the morning was very good, but the night manager just didn't seem to know about any of my requests. Even when it came to pre-booking our taxi for the homeward bound journey which was prebooked in the morning an she didn't know about!? It seems as though there is a lack of communication somewhere.

    « Stunning hotel! »

We had the most amazing stay here for my 40th birthday! The hotel and rooms are beautiful and clean and the staff were extremely welcoming and friendly! A great base for exploring the city. It's situated next to St Lazare train station (so great if you want to get the train in from CDG airport) and is only a 10 minute walk to the Palais Opera Garnier. We'll definitely stay here again on our return to Paris later in the year!

    « Central location »

Ok hotel located wihin walking distance to central Paris. The room had no view, only brick walls. The lightning system impossible to get familiar with. Also no effect from the aircondition system. To pay €25 for an ordinary breakfast was out of the question. You get a better breakfast in a café for €10. The "Don't disturb"- sign on the door was not respected. The hotel ok for sleeping, but we will not choose next time.

    « Luxurious Stay! »

Stayed 3 nights recently just after Easter, the Rooms and service were 5 star!! The decor of the hotel sparkled with diamond like qualities, and although smallish it was very intimate! The service was outstanding the staff couldn't do enough for you!. Location was really convenient next to a local station with metro links, although you could easily walk to the Seine. Breakfast was superb with a great choice of hot and cold food. The bedroom was also superb with even mirrors on the ceiling! We would certainly go back to this hotel.

« Beautiful hotel, great staff »

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights recently and found it excellent. We had a lovely welcome from Gemma, the receptionist, who was really friendly and helpful and set the tone for our stay, giving a great first impression. The hotel is in a good location, midway (and 30 minutes pleasant stroll) between the Arc de Triomphe and Sacre Coeur. We were on the second floor and it was quiet despite being on a busy road, just the occasional siren was heard. Our room was a good size with a nice bed and good quality bedding and a coffee machine. I do think that the water should have been free, not charged for, but there is a M&S next door where you can get bottles of water for one euro, not the five that the hotel wanted. There is a slight issue with storage in the room, there are no drawers at all and they definitely need to put a shelf of some kind in the bathroom. The bathroom was lovely and modern with a good, deep bath which filled quickly. The bedroom curtains were not put up properly and were hanging down in the middle and, for some reason, the housekeeper never put our bedcover on so it stayed on the bench at the end of our bed for our entire stay, I would have liked to have seen the bed made up properly just once! The room is quite dark and the light switches need to be labelled, they are very confusing and we never did get the hang of them. The whole hotel is spotlessly clean. The bar is lovely, with purple velvet sofas and a glittery floor. They did very good cocktails and always give you some 'nibbles' to go with them. Staff in the bar are extremely attentive and there is a pretty little courtyard although it was too cold for us to use. On my return to Paris, I would definitely stay here again, it is a little gem.

    « Lovely boutique hotel »

This was a lovely style of hotel really good located, the rooms were really clean the only downside to the rooms were that they were very dark in comparison to the pictures could have been a bit brighter as found bathroom was really dark. Despite this the style of the rooms was really modern, and the beds were so comfy best nights sleep we have had in a long while. Reception staff were really friendly and really helpful, could do with a bit of music in the bar in the evenings just to liven it up a bit. Really good value for money.

« Lovely from the moment we stepped in »

This hotel was so welcoming. It was in a fab location too. Staff so helpful and we were thrilled to be upgraded to an executive suite. The room itself was fab, lots of technology including a smart tv. It was little small but perfect for us. The room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was lovely with a wide selection of choices. Thank you, we would definitely stay here again x

    « Short trip »

Great hospitality, very friendly staff, hotel and room very clean! Good room facilities including professional Nespresso Coffee Machine. Possibility to choose between different breakfasts. Everything was perfect. Will stay there again.

« Great Place, but lacks in service »

It is a very nice hotel. The rooms are new, look good and so do the common areas. But the service is not that nice. Like, unfortunately, it seems to be throughout Paris. The staff oscillates from being helpful and nice to showing in your face, without any discomfort, impatience and dislike. Could really improve on the service.

    4
« Nice place, but too expensiv »

Good location, perfect service, nice rooms, but too costs too much, becouse of unnecessary services and functions, like "hi-tech" bethroom and light control. Good breakfasts, but 28 Euro - it s too much.

    5
« Fantastic Stay in Paris »

A great little hotel in a good location. Staff were attentive and very pleasant. Downside was the price of breakfast (25 euro per person). Also Courtyard room was noisy when window left open at night (other inconsiderate guests - not hotel). Would stay again.

    3
    « Quality of stay »

Location of the hotel is great - but I definitely feel it has a long way to feel like a five star hotel. I did feel it was more of a 3.5 star hotel as the rooms were very average. Some of the staff are very nice there especially the night time staff who is a young gentleman.

    « Wonderful stay »

I had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Opera Diamond, the staff was excellent - multilingual and friendly, helpsom in all matters necessary. The room was just brilliant, really quiet, spacious and impeccably clean. Location was also great, even though it is NeXT to St Lazare, the streets were good to walk at night. My only negative comment is the lack of decent restaurants in the near area.

    4
    « Very good Hotel »

The service of this hotel is perfect, mainly thanks to miss Jamila Elasri, who is a very kind, polite and professional receptionist!! She always tries the best to satisfy the clients and cares a lot about the wellbeing of her guests! Congratulations to this hotel to have such an employee! The only negative point was the breakfast, it is not worth 25€ for 3 types of cheeses and hams and the main waitress is an disaster, she has the attitude of an canteen waitress.

    5
« Great hotel, great staff!!!! »

This is an amazing hotel with amazing staff!! Jocelyn the night staff did everything possible to make our stay fantastic! Would definitely recommend it to friends and family! The location is super great too!

A double bedroom with mirrors and crystal chandeliers and red velvet accessories...the perfect hotel room in the heart of Paris. A spacious bathroom with heated towel rail and good toileteries. The shower was a ceiling fitting and very powerful. Very helpful and personable staff made it a great stay. iA well stocked mini bar and room service available.

« A small and friendly hotel in a good location »

I stayed here on business recently and the hotel is well located for the very centre of Paris. There is a metro within a very short distance but I managed to walk to all of my meetings in the Champs-Elysees / Madeleine area within about 10 mins. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the free wifi fast. The rooms were well appointed - Nescafé machines and Apple TV - although not decorated to my taste (think boudoir chic gone mad). All in all, I would stay here again on business.

« Short But Extremely Sweet Two Night Stay »

Stayed here with my partner celebrating two years. What a fantastic hotel, staff were amazing managing to find us a room even though we were early for check in. They upgraded us, offered room service. The room was immaculate and out of this world with stunning views. Great location, excellent transport links. Even kept our luggage after checkout. Thanks to all the amazing staff, what a fantastic experience. We will see you again!

great location near all the big warehouses, lost of restaurants bars, on the corner of Saint Lazarre stationwith trains and metros and rer. Parisian small but good, clean, nice people , modern decor, standard though.

« Excellent hotel with great staff »

Stayed in hotel for 2 days. I loved everything about the hotel. very warm welcoming on arrival by receptionist, they upgraded my room. the room was quiet big with a beautiful decoration, very comfortable bed and amazing sauna/bathroom. That was exactly my type of hotel in Pairs. I traveled alone but I definitely recommend to all couples as the decoration was sexy and romantic ;) Location was great, close to metro and lots of bar and restaurant around. I will surely come back as soon as i find the love of my life ;)

A small, nice and comfortable hotel. Quite reasonable for its price. Very close to metro. So very easy to reach anywhere. Only the bad thing is we ordered some food to the room but they were all cold.

« Awesome hotel, warm staff »

Stayed in this beautiful hotel for one night and everything was perfect since the beginning. Welcomed and nice staff, who proposed to us free coffee while we were waiting our check-in, bagagiste who took care of our suitcases. Now, hotel is 4 stars, but they are doing everything to become a 5* hotel. The location is good. Just next to the hotel there are metro station, bus stations and train station. Also, u can take taxi. The room was big (which is important and not standard for Paris), amazing and brand new. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom /sauna was spectacular. We recommend this hotel for everyone and we will comeback here for sure. 7/11/16

« My kind of hotel in Paris! »

Everything was great during my stay! Location is great, near metro station, bus terminals, good restaurants and excellent shopping area. Hotel staff very kind and effective. All rooms were renovated, with beautiful and modern decoration.

« Gorgeous hotel in an excellent location »

I loved everything about this hotel. Newly refurbished, it had a most comfortable bed and first class and modern toilet. 2 showers (rain shower and hand held shower) with marble tiles on the wall. Large flat screen TV. Sound proof windows to block out the noise from the street. Reasonably sized room for downtown Paris. Good breakfast spread with to-die-for-yummy croissants as well as halal beef cold cuts. A 3m walk to the St Augustin Metro station which was helpful when the traffic was heavy and we couldn't find a taxi. Reasonably priced. I would definitely stay there again.

« Excellent location and value »

Located around the corner from the Gare St-Lazare, this smallish hotel offers a great location at a good price. It is within 5 minutes walking distance from both the Au Printemps and Galeries Lafayette department stories and no more than 10 minutes from the Opera. Moreover, the various metro lines from the Gare St-Lazare make reaching most other areas of Paris simple and easy. My room was large by Paris standards, and despite overlooking rue de la Pepiniere, was very quiet. The room was clean and included a turndown in the evening. Finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful.

    « Good location »

Walking distance to metro, around 3 mins. Have a lot of cafe and restaurant in surrounding. Walk to Lafayette around 8 mins which i usually do. Hotel room are clean, but the light not bright enough for me... Bathroom ok but water will always flow to sink area from shower area, need improvement on this. Overall I rate this hotel are very good.

« The penthouse suite was phenomenal! »

I can't say enough how awesome this hotel was. We paid for the superior suite and was upgraded to the penthouse suite! The staff is awesome, speak very good English and are very helpful! The hotel is so swank and modern looking, I absolutely loved the decor. The room was classy and fancy with white and diamonds decor. The toilet and showers are something else! Marble floors and walls in the bathroom are just stunning! The breakfast buffet was great and fresh. Also the neighborhood that the hotel is in is very happening area of Paris. 3-4 minute walk to the metro and about ten minutes to many different of Paris main attractions. All in all I can't rave enough about the hotel. Additionally, the restaurant kitty corner to the hotel called LA Couer de Roma has excellent food!

« Looks good but will not last - low quality improvements »

This hotel appears to be undergoing the final stages of a renovation that has resulted in a super chic diamond. Not your average Best Western interior design. This hotel has tons of potential but they aren't there just yet. Our room, 413, the smallest on our floor, was a good size and much larger than what I would expect in Paris. Nice shower and separate water closet. The tv system was great and we were able to stream our Amazon Prime movies wirelessly to the display. Free wifi was adequate but slow at times. USB ports did not have power or weren't intended to be used for charing phones. The light switches are plentiful, controlling all different sorts of lights (only mildly obnoxious when you get up in the dark hours and accidentally turn on every light in the room with one switch/button). At some point, I would expect that the annoying fumes and dust resulting from the renovation which we were told was not a renovation will no longer be an issue. But once the renovation is complete, I would be concerned that the improvements will age very quickly with normal wear and tear. Most of the materials used, such as furniture and fabrics, look nice but are not the industrial level quality necessary for a hotel environment. The location is not ideal for those looking for an ample supply of quaint local cafes, quiet tree lined streets, or easy access to the Seine. On the other hand, Gare Saint Lazare has its benefits with transit access. There's a M&S Foods right next door and a Monop in Gare Saint Lazare.

    « A Dark hotel »

Everything in this is colored back or grey with red accents. We were upgraded to a better room which was extremely well equipped. The shower was great. The beds were comfortable. There was an iPad in the room as well as a couch. I was disappointed that a bar was not located in the hotel . Cafes were located in close proximity to the hotel.

« Lovely boutique hotel in great location »

We checked in for 2 nights. Location is awesome, right in between all major sights. They upgraded us to the Spa room for free!! Staff is friendly and helpful, but the cleaners disturbed us twice. Very much recommended. Great design hotel for good value.

    « Awful »

On arrival at the hotel we were told there was renovation work going on and that there was no bar, no kitchen and no outdoor space. It was too late (after 11pm) to book elsewhere and the hotel had taken all of the money for the 3 night booking even though they advertise it as pay on checkout. The staff were very unhelpful and we weren't even shown to the room or explained how the card system worked. Tried to check out the next morning and it took until midday to get any money back. When we did we were only given a 30% discount despite the hotel and its facilities not being as advertised. Rude, dishonest and the worst customer service I've experienced in a hotel. Venere.com were also completely unhelpful and should be ashamed to have this hotel on their website.

I reserved in this nice hotel in July 2016, for family trip. The hotel location is perfect, near to everything, near to ATM, Restaurants, shopping mall, Cafes, the room was nice with nice bathroom, we face a noisy because there is a working outside and inside the hotel for renovations, we ask for quite room, they was very friendly specially jamilah, they upgrade our room to junior suite. After renovation i think the hotel will get 5 points ( excellent )for rating.

« Best Western and the Best One Nighter »

We checked into the Best Western Premier for one night after a problem with our other hotel (another review for another time after I've had a few glasses of wine and can write about it without getting ticked off all over again) and I expected a bunch of families with annoying little kids running around the lobby in swimsuits. I quickly discovered that the Best Western Premier is not the Best Western that I remembered as a child. The design is very Zen with an open lobby. We showed up like tired, homeless, escapees from our last hotel... hot, sweaty, angry, upset and feeling like unwanted Americans in France and just wanted a shower and bed so that we could fly out of Paris the next morning. Front desk agent Yaw knew about our situation before we arrived and took care of everything to make us comfortable. When our booking agent made a mistake and told us that the hotel had a room with double beds,Yaw found an alternative and checked us into a duplex room. The duplex was modern with a welcoming, king sized bed, a comfortable pull out sofa (or so I was told - I was selfish and took the luxurious king sized bed), a walk in closet to die for and televisions on both levels. Yaw saw how tired we were and handled everything from a fast check-in, to getting extra linens for us for the sofa bed in our lower loft area. Ladies just an FYI - Yaw was very professional and helpful and as a bonus - he has a very Idris Elba vibe - so keep that in mind when you're looking for a place to vacation in Paris. We only had one night in this gorgeous modern duplex and our only regret was that we did not select the hotel for our entire stay in Paris.

    « Valentine's Day dream hotel »

We stayed here for our first Valentines Day, and it was amazing. The rooms are spacious, and when we got back from dinner, they had put rose petals on the bed in the shape of a heart. It will truly be a valentines day to remember, and the amazing staff made all the difference.

« Returning customers - even more amazing than last time! »

We decided to book this hotel to celebrate our engagement because it is a 2 minute walk to Saint-Lazare train/metro station where we come into Paris from our house in Bernay. We have stayed here before and had an amazing experience 2 years ago so it made sense to come back to a place we had tried, tested and loved. On check in we were greeted by a very friendly man who very kindly upgraded us to a suite to celebrate our engagement. All I can say is wow! The suite was incredible! Although let it be said that the deluxe room we had last time was also stunning. The bed was huge with a giant mirror on the ceiling. A separate walk in wardrobe with spare bedding, robes and slippers. The bathroom was equally impressive with its own sauna room with built in mood lighting and sound system... absolutely incredible! Although there isn't a great deal in the immediate vicinity on the hotel, the Champs Elyseé is a steady 15 minute walk away which is lovely on a summers day. Alternatively, the metro is a 2 minute walk away and has good links to the main attractions of Paris. We didn't opt for breakfast as we did think this was very expensive so this would be my only negative comment. It was €20 per person for a full breakfast. There are so many cafés in Paris you're never short of options for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We really did have an amazing stay here, the price was great for the quality of the rooms and the service. The hotel oozes a wow factor throughout and made our weekend in Paris absolutely perfect. We will definitely be booking here again on our next annual Paris trip. Keep up the good work!

    « What a disaster hotel! »

Stayed here for business and couldn't wait to leave. As a starting point the hotel is being renovated, so scaffolding and construction everywhere with the noise to accompany it. While it is not the builders fault the fact remains that they are up and down the scaffolding all day right outside the bedrooms, so curtains have to remain closed at points. Room service stops at around 10pm and is limited. And the first night of my stay I was woken up at 1am by the fire alarm that then proceeded to go off for 20mins. The rooms are a very good size, great location to all the sites an bathroom was nice and modern. However for 400 euros a night there are much better hotels to stay in Paris that aren't undergoing works. While staff were very nice ansd helpful the fact remains this place is a building site and best avoided until renovations are complete.

    « An absolute diamond »

We stayed at the Opera diamond for 3 nights in June and we're not disappointed. It's location is perfect- handy for bus and metro links - Saint Lazarre metro and train station is literally a hop! skip and a jump from the hotel. There is a wide range of bars and restaurants nearby and a Marks and Spencer next door. Rooms are bright, roomy and well kept. There was building works going on inside and outside the hotel but we were not disturbed by them. We did not have breakfast as there are so many beautiful patisseries nearby. Staff were extremely helpful, spoke English

« Great stay and good location »

We had 3 nights in Paris at the same hotel. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They printed our last minute tour booked and also helped us to ring for pick up. We had an hour power cut but staff was helpful. The only annoying part was last night at 1.20am the fire alarm went on and we had to get out of our room. Was false alarm but wrecked our sleep as we had a train to catch for London this morning . Otherwise was good .

    « Very happy »

As title ,very happy with this hotel. Staff were really nice and helpful, nothing was to much for them. The room was really good liked the decor and the washlet was well um different but all in all really nice place to be The bar in the hotel was very expensive and closed at 10 pm but with marks and Spencer food store next door didn't really need to use the bar that much. Location is second to none, we were there for 4 days and travelled everywhere by metro, with st lazare metro and st augustin metro stations within 5 minutes walk literally 50 meters away . We got two 3 day metro passes that came to under 50 euro great value and easy to get anywhere in paris. All in all was an awesome trip to Paris and when we go again and we will, we will be using this hotel as our base again

    « Birthday stay! »

Had a lovely stay at this hotel, we arrived early and the hotel did whatever they could to get us in before check in. The hotel was gorgeous, the bedroom was amazing, comfy bed and lovely shower. The staff were brilliant and friendly. Good location, walking distance of most places. Only bad thing, we ordered room service breakfast - we were then told to go downstairs to pick the items we wanted for breakfast, you were given a tray and could take it back to your room.. Not really worth the €24 (can't remember the price exactly). Other than that, I would go back to this hotel every time!

« Thirteen nights in Paris »

We were looking for a central point, with good access to buses and the Metro, we found it! This hotel is but one minutes walk from Gare Saint Lazare train and metro station. Multiple buses use the train station as a terminus, otherwise a pickup and drop off spot. The buses are on all sides of the station, but if you download a Paris bus map, it helps. We printed the map, at home. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations, they say to become 5 star, I do not think this is achievable, other than by cost. The rooms are small, but this is Paris. We had a quiet KS room at the back of the hotel. There is a built in wardrobe, but otherwise storage is at a premium. No storage at all in the bathroom. We kept most things in our suitcases. We did not use the breakfast facilities. There are so many little cafes around doing 'petit dejeuner' breakfast Parisian style, why bother. A standard petit dejeuner is one hot drink, one croissant, one orange juice. These vary from 8 euros to 12 euros in this area. A grand dejeuner consists of one hot drink, one croissant or baguette ( sometimes with butter and jam), one orange juice, one omelette or fried eggs and ham. These vary from 12 euros to 19 euros in this area. Again plenty of cafes, French, Italian, Japanese, Vietnamese within 5 minutes walking distance. There is a Carrefour supermarket in the basement of the train station. There is a post office across the road, plus banks and an atm. We had a great time, the room was always clean, the staff friendly but I worry they are hoping with these current renovations to put the prices up but still no storage in the rooms.

The hotel in the centre near to main points of interest. Very nice design, cleanliness and comfort. Reasonable price paid. Even your repair works during our stay gave us a thought you are trying to be better. Excellent! And thank you. Very recommended.

Excellent hotel for the price . Real 4 stars. Very modern and large rooms. Ask for the rooms on the patio. They are quiet and facing east. Great when waking up. Excellent and super comfortable king size bed. Lovely coffee machine in the room. To recommend !!

« Good Theme Good Location Good Technology »

We had a nice stay in this hotel. The bed is big, clean and tidy. The electric heating toilet surprised us. The opera theme is amazing. The aisle is narrow, but the wall paper and carpets are black. It seems mysterious and beautiful instead of narrow. It's a clever theme and decoration.

    « Perfect location »

Location was perfect! Walking distance to shopping, restaurants, metro and everything else. Staff was nice and the free wifi was good. The room was really nice, clean and big compared to other hotels in Paris. But the aircondition in our room did not function very well, so it was guite a bad air and hot during the night and we could not open the window due to a very noisy road outside. The hotel is also under renovation and it was noisy during the morning, so a combination of a hot room, bad air and noisy mornings did not make us sleep much. But I will definitely give the hotel a new chance after the renovation is finished :)

    « Excellent boutique hotel »

Stayed at BW Premier Opera for three nights on a business trip. It's strategically located close to the Opera. The hotel breaths a warm and intimate atmosphere with it's decoration that is a mix between baroque and modern art. I was on the 5th floor and when walking through the corridors you'll see some nice decoration features. Service was good, specifically from the night receptionist that also acted as our waiter in the hotel's small bar area when we came back from another good night out. The room was nicely fitted out in the same style, the bed was very comfortable and there was a mini bar, coffee machine, automatic toilet and rain shower. Note that some minor renovations are still going on both on the outside and interior of the hotel. Would certainly consider this hotel next time.

    3
    « In construction »

I was staying at the hotel for 6 long nights ... The rooms really have a suitable size for Paris and I stayed in a room already renovated, very modern and full of amenities. But at no time we were advised that the hotel was undergoing renovations. The dust was immense and constant, including breakfast, being served in the hotel lobby, in a very small space. The reakfast is good, and I think when this renovate is conclude the otel will be a great place to stay, very near of Saint Lazare station!

    « Good hotel »

Really nice hotel in a good location. Having never been to Paris before I was uncertain about where to book. From the hotel the metro is easy walking distance, and if like us you like walking you can be at some main Parisian attractions family easily on foot. Everything was clean and tidy, the staff were all pleasant. The only downside was not being aware of the building works that were taking place. It was noisy, but the workers did always stop at a reasonable time. Would definitely stay here again.

« Visiting at present please be aware of renovation »

Staying here at present and was not informed of any renovations taking place paint smell on out floor is toxic, room fab but view is of scaffolding and noisy in morning would have appreciated at least a notice advising us before we arrived even at check on of the renovation but none having paid a good bit fit room leaving small children at home to have break to be woke up by renovations very u acceptable please be aware of this if you are traveling here would be fab hotel if not all this going on

« Central boutique hotel next door to St Lazare station »

Great boutique hotel that's very central with striking decor. Buffet breakfast is served in the bar and is surprisingly good. My family had a suite which was spacious and luxurious, a great mix of traditional and contemporary, that was bristling with gadgets. The hotel is being refurbished to a high standard but wasn't quite finished during our stay. The staff made a great recommendation for dinner that was only a short walk from the hotel.

    « Nice experience. »

Despite on going works for extension, I had a very good stay in this hotel. The room was very nice, the service was good (with smiling helpful people) and the location is great. I will not hesitate to come back to this hotel. I look forward to seeing the result of the extension.

« Great place to stay!!! »

Excellent service at your hotel!! Excellent location near Metro, shopping, restaurants, and grocery store next door. Rooms were spacious and nice. The concierge at front desk during the day was so helpful! Only drawback in our bathroom was the doorless shower. Water got on floor and toilet.

« New rooms were awesome »

This hotel was lovely. We stayed in one of the new rooms, which I could not fault. The location is not too bad at all. Breakfast in the lobby is cramped and not great, though there is a breakfast in bed service- I wouldn't recommend it. They got our order wrong, then when we rang down, the receptionist hung up- 3 times. This receptionist was very rude whilst checking out. Which was a shame as previous staff were friendly and helpful. On our second morning we were woken up to drilling at 7:30am, this continued until we checked out. This hotel is trying for a 5 star, I would say unless they up their game, this is not a 5 star hotel.

    5
    « Amazing »

The hotel was lovely, big rooms, warm and inviting, all the modern necessities like USB ports to charge phones without a plug and iPad AirPlay. The staff were really helpful & sorted out excursions & recommended places to eat. Definitely a bargain in a fantastic location that offered everything we could have wanted.

« Lovely room but they have missed a fundamental point »

The room and hotel are lovely and highly specified. Great bed and the room is very clean. Reasonably priced too - for Paris However, they have missed a fundimental issue when staying at a hotel - quiet so you can sleep. Room 408 has a fan on the bathroom that does not turn off and is noisy - I could hear it with the door closed. Luckily I stuffed a towel in it and shut the door Staff should sleep in rooms so they can report issues

I stayed at the hotel twice and both times really enjoyed my staying: very good location, big room, cosy beds, friendly and helpful staff. And yes, there are a lot of sights and shops near the hotel.

« great location for shopping »

if you are tight on time and you wish to maximise your shopping experience this hotel is a stone throw away from lafayette and printemps. the rooms are a reasonable size for paris. they only have one elevator and the cleaning staff are occupying it most of the time, which is quite inconvenient if you have bags with you. when we were staying they were working on the extension of the hotel, so it was not quiet during the day.

They room size, location and decoration is great, but i went to the bathroom and the toilet was dirty.. Asked them to clean it and they didnt do it .. Also the wifi connection is awful it discconets every 20 seconds which is quite anoying if you want to either work or use your phone

    « Good hotel! »

This is a good hotel on a nice, central location. Room was large and clean, excellent bed and shower. Price of €139/night (breakfast included) is reasonable for this location. Breakfast was quite simple though, but sufficient. Friendly and helpful staff. Only disadvantage is the small control-system on the wall in the room: it enlights the whole room at night and can't be switched off. If you put you key-pass in the wall, all lights go on and you have to switch them out all seperately.

    5
    « clean, good location&service »

    « Perfect Paris »

From the minute you step into the foyer you step into a world reminiscent of the romantic vision of Paris itself. The room was typically small which is expected of inner city-dwellings, however it was very elegant and the smell of pastries wafted through the window in the early hours of the morning. The hotel is in a prime position for shopping but I would recommend catching cabs to the Eiffel Tower and other tourist spots.

« Great hotel but being extended so oisy building work after 8am »

I have stayed in this hotel 4 or 5 times in the past 18 months. I think the location is great; staff always helpful; beds super comfy; rooms quiet UNTIL this week. Got woken at 8am with a pneumatic drill. They are extanidng and "improving" the hotel - including getting rid of the patio (bad idea). I told reception it is unacceptable to start building work until after breakfast service has finished and the buidling work should have been highlighted when I booked. They were super apologetic and gave me a discount. IF you need to get up before 8am this hotel is still amazing value for money and in a great location. IF you want a lie in mid-week wait until June 2016.

« Not good staff service »

When we checked in the concierge was completely in interested, he gave us our room key and that was it. No welcome, no offer of booking any trips or anything. We carried on with our holiday booking everything ourselves. On a trip to the lourve I was pick pocketed, I lost my phone, bank cards, cash. When reporting it to the staff they were great!..... But my question was, if they know how bad the pick pocketing is for tourists, why did no one take just a minute to warn us? Even the police asked us why our hotel hadn't said anything. Otherwise our stay was lovely, the room was amazing. I just think attention to detail is important, you should try to insure that your guests remain safe.

« Stylish comfort in wonderful location »

My husband and myself were booked into the hotel for one night as part of a conference. Our room was large, overlooking the street which I loved and I enjoy watching the world go by (especially from a cosy vantange point). The bed was very comfortable and large, the bathroom all granite and lights with mirror, etc. Honestly, the décor was not particularly to my taste, with lots of black and grey marble, dazzling lights, but it was very comfortable and pleasant. The staff were very nice and couldn't have been more helpful. Had breakfast overlooking a pretty courtyard and enjoyed the cosy fire in the reception. All in all, a lovely experience.

« Large rooms, great location, great service »

This hotel is modern with large rooms and in a great spot. We have a courtyard facing room that was quiet and exceeded our expectations. The concierge was attentive, professional and very knowledgeable. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    « Great location,nice hotel »

Great location by Gare St Lazarre train station, just near the Opera & large department stores.20 min walk to Place de Concorde near Louvre, similar distance north to Moulin Rouge.Modern dark decor, friendy & helpful staff.Breakfast pricey. The train Station contains a shopping centre, inc Super Market, good for picnics etc.Would recommend.Area a bit quiet at night, lots of cafes, but we struggled to find a decent one.For a more lively area,go for Pigalle or Latin quarter

« Surpassed my expectations so much! »

For our first time in Paris, we wanted a place to stay with comfortable king-sized beds and decent sized rooms with lovely neutral decor...and this lovely four-star was more than I hoped for. It is a smaller hotel, less than 40 rooms I believe, and is extremely personable. The staff are all helpful and very friendly and welcoming. Free wifi for all our laptops and phones throughout the hotel, robes and slippers, very quiet, a/c worked great, rain-head showers in very newly renovated bathrooms, lovely fresh macaroons waiting for us in our room the first night. We never did eat at the hotel, but there is a lovely small courtyard to eat if you chose. Is only steps away from Starbucks, McDonalds and a number of restaurants, right beside the Gare St Lazarre train station and the metro, 5 minute walk to two of Paris' favourite shopping malls, and only a further ten minute walk south to the Place De la Concorde which separates the Tuilleries leading up to the Louvre and the start of the Champs Élysées. Great location. Walking distance to the 'Open Tour' hop-on, hop-off bus. Would definitely stay here again!!

« Great Location. Very Boutiquey. Large rooms »

I was not too happy to hear I was staying at a B.Western in France. However, when I arrived I was very pleased. This is not like the American Best Western hotels in USA. Best Western in France are concidered 5 star boutique hotels. I feel the rooms were large for a European hotel. The staff was awesome and helpful. There was a beautiful courtyard and breakfast was amazing too

« Shiny and Very Black »

The decour is very black mostly marble but once one gets over the initial shock it couldn't have been nicer - the room was good and quite big for Paris with excellent staff and service and a very delicious breakfast including eggs and bacon which one does not expect in Paris we enjoyed our stay

« Excelllent service and fantastic rooms »

This is my second visit to Paris and my experience was made that much more enjoyable by this wonderful hotel with its unique décor and style. The staff at reception were genuinely please to see you and had a relaxed but efficient manner. This manner was also evident with the rest of the staff that I encountered during my stay. The room were large and the bed extremely comfortable, well stocked bathroom although it was a bit difficult getting to grips with the wash basin tap, more of a games console joy stick than a tap!

« A beautiful friendly hotel in Paris »

The room is boutique, chic large and great decor and style and the staff are friendly, helpful and nothing is to much trouble. The room I have is on the third floor so quiet, love the lighting and layout it has a large walk in shower (superior room) and a massive comfy bed. Ill be staying here again..

    « Rumble rumble »

Nice hotel but not quiet as good as I was expecting. We were only on the first floor and if your a relatively light sleeper you will likely feel le metro as it rumbles under the hotel...I did....even after multiple bottles of France's finest. Great location, most of the staff were fantastic although one girl was hopeless! No idea if they've a gym, I assume not. Nice courtyard although really quite small and not the sun trap you might want. Small bar area too but nice if awaiting a cab. Sherwoods is a good piano bar near by, lots of fun.

    « Perfect »

We stayed here 2 nights and the hotel was fantastic. The room was lovely with lots of space, air con was quiet, the curtains are heavy and so it was a complete blackout at night time with no noise at all from outside or in the hotel, we slept amazingly. The breakfast was great- there was so much choice, cereals, cold meats, pastries, bacon, sausages, egg, cheese, tarts and flans, rolls, toast etc etc. The location of the hotel was brilliant for us we walked everywhere and everything is on the doorstep. We would highly recommend and thank you for the lovely service which made our weekend all the better !

    « Perfect Parisian Hotel »

Went for a romantic weekend and this was the perfect hotel. Great location made it easy to get around and the room was a really good size, especially for Paris! It was clean, comfortable and convenient. Can't ask for more! The only thing is that the bed was quite soft and the pillows were not the best. But still got a decent night's sleep!

« Paris, Best Western hotel, next to Gare St Lazaire »

We needed an early morning train from Gare St Lazaire in Paris, after arriving in Paris the night before at pm. We booked this hotel as a hotel close to the station., in fact the station was just across the street. We have been to a few different hotels in Paris over the years. This hotel was exceptional in the service given from the reception staff, through to all the staff we dealt with. the room décor was very modern (we had a suite) and comfortable. It definitely is on our list to return to when we next visit Paris.
