« Great location, wonderful staff »

Could not have found a better hotel for the price than this one. Great location with good food nearby, wonderful attractions such as Madeleine, Opera House, Concorde, Champs-Elysees and more. Lots of public transportation nearby as well as the train station getting you out of town to various locations. The staff here is very pleasant and the rooms very comfortable. Couldn't have enjoyed the stay more.

« Great value for money! »

So me and my wife stayed here for our 1year anniversary and have no complaints at all. Paris is an expensive city to stay in and this hotel was excellent value for money in comparison to the other hotels in the area. We contacted the hotel direct for the best price. There were 3 metro stations within 4 mins walk (if that). The only thing I would pick on if I had to is the breakfast is a bit small. There wasn't much variety but you have to remember is a relatively small hotel. It has a few cereals, has bread and s toaster, and some scrambled eggs. It has other bits too but that's all we had for the 3 nights. But in summary if I ever go back to Paris then I will 100% be going back here!

    « Amazing stay! »

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel and were extremely satisfied. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Palais Garnier and Galleries Lafayette. The hotel is also in walking comfortable walking distance to Place de la Concorde. We stayed in a basic double room and have no complaints. It was a cosy room and the bed was SO comfy! The bathroom also had everything we needed and the shower was a good size. The hotels breakfast buffet was basic but good and had fresh bread and croissants. Our one complaint would be that the waitress at breakfast wasn't the friendliest. The reception staff however were always helpful and made our stay very pleasant. Overall, we were very happy with our stay at this hotel, it was good value for money, our room was comfortable and the location perfect! Would stay here again.

« Private taxi rip off »

As per the reception staff the private taxi will take a flat rate of 55 euros to the cdg airport .the second morning and without any prior notice the guy showed up at 6 am and said that due to hard weather condition it will b 100 € and if we dont want it any more he can just leave and we would miss the plane .the staf member didnt even react to that knowing that it was his responsability .he even offered him a candy...gr8 work best western and gr8 work police for leting such things happen .how can a huge chain like best western deal with small theves saying that it is there private chauffeur.

« A nice solution to enjoy Paris at its best! »

We aimed at living an authentic central Paris experience, and the BW Premier Opera Opal definitely allowed us so! The location is great: all the main areas and museums are less than half an hour walking distance, and the Madeleine metro station is at 1 minute. The neighborhood is very elegant, with wonderful shops and department stores. Our room (Classic) was pretty large for the Paris standards, as the bathroom. The bed was one of the best we ever tried! The breakfast was rich, and can respond to everyone's needs and preferences. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

« Perfect stay in a perfec hotel »

We had a really pleasant stay at the hotel. Everything was at it`s best - friendly and helpful personnel, room and bath very nice, cleanness and location. We recommend this hotel and hope to come back soon!

    « Good Paris Hotel »

This is the second time we stayed in this Hotel. It is a small hotel but we like the location. The staff are friendly and helpful with excellent personal service. The rooms we occupied were small but clean and the bathroom was very good. We were offered larger rooms but we were only in Paris for two nights so we opted to have them. This is very good value and we were very happy staying here and will not hesitate to stay again when we visit Paris.

    « Trip to Paris »

Location, service, room cleaniness and space excelents. Best of everithing was services and personal attention. all our requirements were satisfied on time and very precise. Breakfast was good for the value.

« Good value with excellent location in Paris »

Friendly staff, well appointed and maintained room, relatively large bathroom, good breakfast, coffemaking machine in room, typical Parisian ambiance in central location - for a reasonable price. Many great sights and good shopping in the neighborhood. Bed was too soft.

    « Pleasant stay »

Only good things to be said about this hotel. We'll be back. Thank you for making us feel very welcome .Attentive and friendly staff. Correct room space in the superior room that we asked for. Spacious bathroom which is always a plus and to be fully appreciated in a Parisian (or any metropolis) hotxtra asset.el.Availability of papers was also noted and we were grateful for that e

    « A horrible hotel »

I stopped by paris for one day and booked this hotel due to its convenient location. When I entered to Room 506, it scared me a bit already as I saw the carpet outside the bathroom has some weird red stain on the carpet like blood. But I tried to not think too much as I was traveling alone this night. Moreover. I found there is no air con at all and no air flow in the room. I called the reception and they told me it will be very cold at night so they don't have air con. I told them no way I can stay and sleep as it's totally no air u can breath as it is a no airflow room. At the end. They called me again telling me they turned on the air con for me and I can turn on the air con. When I came back at night after dinner, I saw a small Chinese picture photo in the corner of the room writing in Chinese which looks quite mysterious. It is not a decoration picture but like some Chinese Fung shui picture facing the bathroom. As I was tired that night, although I was scared, I put on my ear plugs and fall asleep and leave in the next morning. The worst has happened to me, I left a diamond ring on the table and forgot to take it. I realized it when i arrived cdg airport and I called back to ask them to get it back for me. I was told they didn't find it. It is a gift from my dad 21 years ago. I feel very disappointed that Paris people really greedy and they will take something that not supposed belongs to them. I of course won't be back to this horrible haunted hotel anymore.

    « Favourite location »

Perfect service, exceptional friendliness of staff, spacious room, nice interior, extra amenities upon request, would prefer shower gel with different scent, perfect location for museum trips, shopping, dining and walks, not far from train stations to U.K. and Germany, was here nine years ago for the first time and always have chosen this hotel for my past trips to Paris, would certainly come back.

    « A Texan in Paris »

Great hotel in good location. Close to metro stop and shopping. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Air conditioning was very good. Staff is excellent. Adequate breakfast, but little variety. Hotel sits over the metro, but not a big problem in upper floors. Wifi too weak to use on 4th floor. We will definitely stay in this hotel when we return

« Le Week End Restaurant »

Did not stay at the hotel but found the staff at Le Week End the restaurant extremely helpful and happy. Very welcome for someone like me who has food allergies. Went out of our way to go twice for dinner.

« hidden treasure at a great value »

The charming gem of a boutique hotel has it all Fantastic location next to all transportation; Buses, Metros and Airport Bus to CDG and an easy walk to the Grand Department stores and the great designer shops; Their welcoming staff make you feel at home and treat you as an honored guest and they have lots of good advice about Paris for your every question. I recommend getting their buffet breakfast which is very very good; Also I suggest getting a room on the 5th or 6th floor rather than a lower floor There is great value for the price here and if you try it once you will not want to stay anywhere else when next you return to Paris <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<q

    « Good location »

Small hotel, but neat and the environment is great. Opera garner or St. Lazare station is 7 min. away on foot. The subway station is 3 min. away. Printemps or Geleries Lafayette is 5 or 8 min. away. I enjoyed staying there esp. as a single female traveler 'cuz it was quite safe to hang around. Breakfast was nice, and the amenities are Luxe, which is a French brand. The only drawback was the carpet with dust and stains at some parts. It would be great if you bring a disposable slippers. I brought one from the airplane, and it was an excellent idea.

    « Ideal location »

Great hotel in prime location with easy reach to metro . Stayed for 3 nights and could not fault anything. Room was immaculately clean and suited our needs and the staff were all very friendly. We opted out of the breakfast prefering to eat out at cafes. The shops are quite expensive in this area but its nice just to window shop and the Galleries la Fayette was just a short 5 minute walk away.

« Interesting stay in a family room »

We stayed there as the last leg of our swiss/paris tour for 3 nights. The room allotted to us was an executive room with 2 beds and a sofa bed. We were a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids. It was a strangely shaped room as in Europe on the top floor, with the slanting roof. However the room was of such odd size that u cannot go to one side of the room as it was so close to the roof (around 3-4 feet height from the floor). We all bumped our head quite a few times. We requested them to change our room, even if it is downgraded to a lower class as it was quite uncomfortable to stay in a room with an odd dimensions. However there was none available in the hotel as we were told. We were offered a possible room in a bit far away hotel, which we declined as it was not a suitable location for us. Furthermore, being an executive family room, there was a separate washing area containing a jacuzzi, however the strange part was the area was completely open and visible to the entire room, which we find a bit queer. I know it can be a matter of personal choice, however with family, u need to have door to the bathrooms and cannot complete remove then. On request, they brought a kind of chinese partition for it. The room was hot when we entered, but had a wonderful AC unit which kept it nice and comfortable in 33 degrees there. The room had all the amenities and a wonderful nespresso machine. The location of the hotel is amazing (very close to Madeleine) with a wonderful staff, always smiling and ready to help.

    « Best offer »

Amazing location, just in front the medaline church and metro station. Very nice staff, good facilities quality! We had the classic room and enjoyed it very much. Nothing bad to say about this hotel! Bravo!

« Great location and comfortable stay »

Location is very convenient. Close to restaurants and shopping area. very center of the city. Specious room. Most of the time, hotel in Paris will be very small with this price range, but Premier Opera Opal is great for the price.

    « Visit to Paris »

Excellent location of the hotel, everything easy to reach on foot, pleasant surroundings. Pleasant service and hotel service, excellent cleaning, very good bed and equipment, but the room was very small.

    « Great Spot »

Great location right behind the Madeline Church. Super comfy rooms and bed. The price we paid booking through Hotels combined was great value and included a reasonable breakfast. Only downside....€5 for a coke???

« Amazing Location, Great Staff »

It was a 5 night stay, our first night didn't go so well. the standard rooms are extremely small, with no room to even open your luggage. We were not expecting big rooms given the amazing location, but it was a bit too much, add to that the fact that it was still winter and most the standard rooms open onto what seams to be the fire escape staircase running down the middle of the building. so been on the first floor, we couldn't open our windows for a breeze cuz there were no screens for the window. we requested a room change and got a superior room. it was like we moved hotels. rooms were spacious by all standards, with large windows overlooking Parisian streets and it was fantastic! the staff are very friendly, and the rooms are very clean, and well renovated. The hotel location is just perfect! it is walking distance from many attractions as well as shopping streets, and has a couple of metro stations conveniently close. before going we had read reviews about the train passing, we did hear it, but can't say that it was an inconvenience, you have to be very picky to pay attention to that, so its nothing to worry about. Overall the hotel is amazing if you make sure you get a superior room or if you are a backpacker and don't have luggage in a regular room. I think its a great hotel to stay in and highly recommend it.

« Quiet location near the metro and easy to get around downtown »

The hotel is in a great location. The square around the church of the Madeline is really quiet and there is a metro stop right around the corner. The hotel is small. If you have not been to Paris before it will probably surprise you, but as a home base in the city it was great. We could barely fit two people and out suitcases in the elevator. Also, if this is your first visit to the city you should be ready for higher prices on food. We went down the street to get breakfast each morning. It is not expensive to get a pastry or something small, but drinks run a lot. For example, at many of the little cafes a can of coke will be 6.2 euro. One morning I got a large glass of orange juice and it ended up costing 10 euro. It might make sense to just eat at the hotel for breakfast.

    « Not that impressive »

Several times we were locked out because the attendant was not at the front desk. They TOOK our do not disturb sign. Furniture was worn down with chipped paint and everything stunk. the best person was the young lady who checked us in the first day

    « Can't wait to return! »

This hotel was fabulous, the staff were friendly and approachable the room was immaculate and the room appliances were great! The room overlooked the beautiful streets of Paris with fully openable windows so we could really take in the views. We were upgraded to a room with a spa bath, which was super relaxing after visiting the famous landmarks of Paris which were only a short walk away from the hotel. We were provided with a book explaining all of the features of the room and how to operate them, including pricing for the mini bar, breakfast and room service. Free tea and coffee were provided and restocked each morning, the room was cleaned and the bed also made up each day. I couldn't be happier with this stay, the only issue we had with the room was we were unable to connect to the the wifi, however I'm sure if we had asked the reception staff they would have been more than happy to resolve the issue. I can't sing the praises of the staff enough, from check in to booking our taxi to the airport they were fantastic at accommodating us and welcoming us with a smile and 'good morning' each day. Thank you so much for an amazing stay we will certainly be returning!!

    « Opal Hotel »

The location of hotel is very good and the hotel near to shopping (galerias Lafayette) but I given for hotel 5.5/10 because the hotel is small and the left can take only 3 people and take long time for waiting. I think the hotel for short stay 3 nights maximum.

    « Lovely well-located hotel »

Simple accommodations but well-appointed. Location is wonderful for shopping and Paris sights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was lovely, just what we needed for a place to refresh and sleep while spending time in Paris. We didn't try the breakfast as we were out and about early each morning.

« Great location, great staff, nice rooms »

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. The street isn't too noisy. The room and bathroom were nice size. Nice little sitting room with fireplace. Would def stay next time in Paris

    « Good location »

I enjoyed staying at this hotel as the location is excellent. I would prefer to have a good old-fashioned kettle rather than a Nespresso machine as I like tea in the mornings and they are not very good for just hot water because of all of the coffee that they have previously been used for.

    « Business Trip »

Very good location very well served by the transport means. the hotel was very nice and comfortable. My room was not big but cosy and very well furnished with various amenities. The personel was very nice and well prepared and satisfied all my requests.

« Charming hotel; great location »

We liked everything about the Opera Opal. Our room was very clean and the bed linens and towels were luxurious. The location is near good shopping and the metro. The staff at the front desk were especially welcoming and very helpful with directions and suggestions. We would recommend this hotel to anybody.

« Very good central hotel »

I had a lovely big room in this hotel during my stay in Paris. I was on the first floor but not at all bothered by the sound of the tube somewhere underneath the hotel - I used to live in a flat in Paris where you could hear the metro! The location of this hotel is excellent. The only thing I wasn't so sure of was breakfast, it was ok but not sure i would book it next time.

« Still my favourite Paris Hotel. »

The first time I stayed here back in 2013, I gave it 5/5. I've stayed here a few times now and it is still my favourite. My room this time was a deluxe room and was a good size with an excellent bathroom. It was very comfortable, spotlessly clean. Location is fantastic for a lot of Museums and galleries. The metro is very close. There is a bit of street noise and a rumble from the metro, but this was not intrusive. Staff are excellent as always. My first choice for Paris visits.

« The very best staff »

Thank you very much to the staff. They all gave the very best service, and they were all very obliging and good tempered. Thus, the atmosphere in the hotel was very pleasant. - But earplugs were useful during the night. There was some noise from the street

    « One more time!!! »

As i been before in that hotel i would like one more time to say that is very nice for stay for a few days in Paris. Is in sentral location, the metro is just 50m away, there are nice restourants in the area and is quite during the night. The rooms are big and the bathroom well organised.Very nice that they have an espresso machine( in the room) of nespresso so the morning you can enjoy the comfort of the room. The reception is very polite and the cleeness of the room super. Is realy nice to go back and see that they still keep the quality in high standars for this small hotel.

    « Perfect stay »

Thanks for a great stay. The location is perfect just between 3 Metro lines, making everything next door and easy. Very helpful and service minded staff and an above average breakfast buffet. The room was clean and the beds wonderful. The bathroom was working as designed.

« Great location, excellent service »

We booked another hotel which seems to have an awful location before we ended up in this one. At first we could only stay for 1 night in stead of the desired 3 but the next morning the very friendly lady at the reception had arranged we could stay in the same rooms for all three nights. The hotel has a fantastic location, it's a small and cost hotel, breakfast is very good (especially compared with an average French breakfast) and the staff is very friendly and supportive. We love this hotel and will definitely come back again!

    « Enjoyable night »

We spent one night there through the website ( French one) the hotel is very well located (near metro madeleine near opéra and saint Lazare) At checking we have been asked to leave credit card or 50€ deposit but I asked to empty the mini bar to avoid this hassle. The receptionist ( can't remember the name but she's Danish) was very helpful and smiling all the time. We had our nice too on 3rd floor ( lift wasn't working so we did sport and they put our bags in our room for us ) it's located in an old style Paris building but we'll renovated. The decoration is made or red kind of autumn colours. The bed and facilities were clean except for the carpet neat the bathroom big spot of I don't know what was on it. Our view was on the main road ( rue tronchet) which is noisy if you want to open the window however the windows are double glazed so you sleep like a baby! In the bathroom there were some Nuxe soap and shower gel (no shampoo though) The breakfast is ok. Not a wide choice but it's fine. The small hic is the noise that comes from the metro tunnel that is nearby but it's not continuous. Small advise if you want to reach the hotel take the mine 14 of the metro and then you should take the exit called rue tronchet you will just walk one two minutes to reach the hotel.

« Great Place in a Great Vicinity »

This hotel was an outstanding place to stay. We were on the first floor so we could open our window and see to the street below. The room itself was well appointed with a king size bed and a very large bathroom. Very friendly staff who spoke English very well. Couldn't have been happier with our choice!

    « Bad timing »

I passed by this hotel the week before my stay there and liked the location and neighborhood. I walked in off the street and made a reservation. Unfortunately, the day my friend and I arrived the lift was out of order. We were supposed to stay in a deluxe room with two beds on the fifth floor. We had just spent several days in Burgundy and Provence and had tons of luggage, wine, etc. It was late and there was no way we were going to climb five flights of stairs. The clerk traded our room for a standard room with one bed on the first floor. They agreed to adjust the price and did their best to accomodate us. Breakfast was good and the driver they hired to take us to the airport was fun. All in all, i would recommend the hotel as long as the lift is working!

    « Perfect location »

Hotel is walking distance to metro, printemps store, many bistros Room is comfortable and a reasonable size Bed was a little soft for my tastes Staff were very friendly I'm would certainly stay here again

    « Noisy »

It is not a bad hotel as it is conveniently located near metro stops and department stores at Opera. The only issue was the noise from the street and you could hear the metro rumbling underneath. Breakfast had a good selection, and staff friendly. Wifi needed login each time which was annoying, but at least it was included.

    « Simple and Charming »

Excellent location! Close a subway station and near many points of interest, the hotel allows to know Paris on foot. The rooms are clean, comfortable and cozy. The breakast is also good. Negative point to the stairs to access the elevator ... it's tricky climb with luggage! I really enjoyed it!

    « Long week-end in Paris »

The Hotel is excellently located near the Madeleine, and just few steps away from key attractions, Shopping Centers (Printemps and Lafayette), restaurants, groceries, Taxis, Metro and Bus Stations. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the rooms were very clean and modern while an upgrade was offered.

    « Pleasantly surprised »

We were very happy with the room and location. Great value for money in the Madeleine district. Wifi worked well and lady at reception was very friendly and helpful. Good size room, with amenities you would expect from a 4 star hotel. Road was slightly noisey during week in morning, but was nice and quiet on Sunday morning. Air con was nice and cool and you could adjust it. I would definitely stay again. Short walk to Madeleine station.

    « Very Friendly Staff »

We stayed here for two nights. Everyone who worked in the hotel was very pleasant and accomodating. We got a free upgrade to deluxe room. We didn't eat the breakfast here although you can add a package to do so. The metro tracks run underneath the hotel so it is better to be on the higher floors, but we didn't have any issue. The only real complaint is with the shower. It had a rain shower head with horrible pressure and streams of water seemed to go in every direction other than where you would want them to. All in all it's a decent place with friendly people.

    « Location, location »

Stayed here for 2 nights. Was traveling on a medium budget and chose this for it's great location by multiple metro stations to get around quickly. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, clean rooms and looks of the place. I recommend avoiding the very expensive breakfast and running to Paul on the corner for a sandwich in the morning.

    « Saving Paris experience »

After having an apartment booked and paid for through Flipkey and the owner of the apartment cancelling when we were standing in front of the entrance, we were stranded. Just a little bit up the road, we saw BW Opera Opal and took a chance to see whether accommodation was available. We were assisted by lovely friendly welcoming staff at reception. Just the attitude of reception made us decide to book in for the rest of our trip and we had a great time. Thank you.

    « Charming hotel-good location »

The room was small but clean and more than adequate. The bed and the bedding were fabulous. The bathroom very modern and nice. We had breakfast every morning, which was very nutritious and good and gave us plenty of variety. The location was excellent, plenty of restaurants in the area and shopping. The subway was very close by. All the staff that we had contact with were very helpful and professional. They arranged to have a VIP town car taking us to the airport, charge 60 euros. We felt it was worth every penny.

« Best Western Opera Opal »

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Rooms are very clean, and the facilities are great. Staff are extremely professional and friendly. One feels at home in this hotel. The location is good , it is near restaurant and shopping centers. There are quite a few good places to eat within walking distant.

« Excellent care for all customers »

The service I experienced were excellent. I liked the room care The location & amenities were fantastic I liked best of care and sympathy given by all the working staff I wish to come again and meet the same staff as they are lovely group and all the time they are very helpful and keendfull in their care for all customers

« Excellent location, great value »

First time in the hotel and it turned out to be a wonderful surprise. Both rooms were clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect with every attraction within walking distance. We will definitely come back on our next visit.

    « Paris Business Trip »

I enjoyed my recent stay at the Best Western Premier Opera Opal. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. I really enjoyed the quality of the breakfast each morning. The hotel is well situated in Paris with easy access to many metro lines. It was a bit far from my work location but more centrally located to the major attractions. I highly recommend this hotel and will likely book this hotel for my next business trip in September.

    « Good & can get bettet »

I stayed 2 nights at hear. Generally it was clean, well decorated and close to 2lines of subway. It has only 2 problems.first since my room was at the 1st floor and close to the street it was little noisy and second the shower had problem and I couldn't make the water to come from the top.At the end I should say I am generally satisfied specially with the price and I am gonna get back to this hotel again

    « clean quiet room »

The room was clean and quiet. The bathroom was modern. The staff was nice, helpful and professional. The hotel is near the Metro and the RER so it was easy to get around Paris. The breakfast had limited choices, but it was convenient.

« Perfect location- Paris city center »

Location: excellent location, close to Madeleine metro which makes it easy to travel to different places. The hotel is also less than 10 minute walk away from two biggest department stores (Printemps and Galleries Lafayette). Being in Opera area, you get to enjoy all the good restaurants and lovely cafe around the area. Staff: knowledgable and provide great customer service. They even gave us a room upgrade! Room: Although a bit small but quite comfortable. Plus we spent most of our time outside exploring the city any way- the place itself is great value for money

    « SUPERIOER!!!!!! »

Best location in the centre of Paris, walking distance for shopping area & Auber, Opera & Medaline station then easy access to reach RER & just 7 & 12 & some more metro lines. Located in the main road n cafe around the corner of the hotel. Room & Hotel is cozy & warm. The best point to recommend this hotel is super kind staff, If Im not wrong, her name is Madrine. She is super kind giving great information to travel in that area & she made our stay great! I will stay here again when I visit again

« Comfortable stay in perfect location »

With all my favourite shops just minutes away, the location was amazing. The room, although small was comfortable. May be it could have done with a couple of drawers but the wardrobe was good enough. I really enjoy the modern bathroom. My room was on the second floor and the metro could be heard slightly but it didn't prevent me from having a very good night sleep.

    « Great place »

Me and my partner stayed here for valentines weekend and can't really complain about anything in the hotel, had great space, en suite bathroom, wardrobe which was big enough for both out clothes, only thing we can say wasn't ideal was there was 2 single beds pushed together.. Stephanie on reception was great she had great English and was very patient with our not so bad not so good attempt at French. She recommended us to bistro romain which was such a beautiful place at a reasonable price, room service was great we had laptops, phones and money sitting out whilst they cleaned the room and nothing was touched. Will definitely return. Great location too.

« Great hotel, very central, very friendly staff »

My husband and I spent our Valentine's weekend in Paris and enjoyed very much staying in the Best Western Premier Opera Opal. The rooms are very quiet and quite big, very clean, and well furnished. The staff is super friendly. It's also very close to public transportations, and easy to go by foot to some great places too. We would definitely go back to stay there another time we're in Paris.

« Business Travel from The States »

Was thrilled with everything about your hotel. Fantastic location with beautifully appointed rooms (and quite spacious!). Service was exceptional and extremely attentive...everything from check-in, to breakfast each morning, to check-out... Since starting up with a new company (based out of Paris), I will be traveling back out very soon and will select your hotel each time I come out.

    « Very friendly welcome »

Stayed one night only but received great and very friendly service from reception desk. Great location and spacious room ( despite low ceiling especially in bathroom ). If you are tall make sure your room is not on 6th floor!

« Very nice city centre hotel »

This hotel might be small but its well located for shopping or sightseeing, there are the main stores within 5 mins walk and the louvre etc is no more than 10/15 mins away. The rooms are very clean and the staff very helpful and polite. Thank you

« Great location, friendly service »

This was not our first time in Paris, but we change locations each time. The Opal is a small little hotel, our room was in the regular category for Paris but was very clean with a renovated bathroom, the bed very confortable. The stairs to get to your room are quite narrow and the elevator almost for only one person. The room had two tall windows that could open to the street view which was very pleasant, the noise at night did not bother us when the windows were closed. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. It is managed by a lady who gave us a wonderful service and was really helpful when we needed directions and suggestions. Breakfast was just orange juice and viennoiseries with coffee, some cereal and yogourt, nothing extraordinary but enough to start our day. There is however just next door a cafe where you can get a more substantial breakfast if you need it. It is super well located,. Au Printemps is just up the street, corner Haussman and small distance to Aux Galeries Lafayette, Metro stations, and a clothing boutique that rare in Paris had clothes to fit my size 18. I do not remember its name but it was on the street Vignon, on the other side of the hotel. The street is small so you are bound to find it.

    « Great Location »

The hotel is nice, the interior decoration is stylish and the rooms are very clean. The location is great where it is few minutes walking to gallery Lafayette and few steps to subway. It is priced reasonably. Service is good and food is not a problem, it has a nice clean restaurant, not bad for a few nights stays but it is not your special occasion stay.

« Travel of our 40th wedding anniversary »

Very Nice stay , in a small hotel, with a very good location, in a excellent neighborhood. Cordial and efficient staff. Only problem was the shower that leaks all the floor of all the bathroom..., and the bathtub with the edges to high ( become a problem for small people)

THIS IS A GREAT OPTION TO STAY, REALLY NEAR TO EVERYTHING, AND STEPS FROM DE METRO STATIOn and all the shopping places like st honore, plas vendome, printemps, laffayete. the price is reasonable and the room is very clean and well furnished with nice amenities

« Great location good value for money »

The hotel is perfectly located in the 8th arr near Opera and Madeleine. Rooms are of reasonable size, nicely decorated with all the necessary facilities. Staff was nice and useful. The value for money is extremely good

    « Opal Paris »

Value for money at the time of stay.Location fantastic although you hear the sound of metro sometimes.Express breakfast and buffaet breakfast is good.Sometimes the hotel door was closed which is not good and dangerous if something happens.

« Central location close to transport and shopping »

I rate my business stays based on comfort and convenience and this hotel scored high in both. As any typical Parisian hotel, the lobby is tiny, but was clean and always staffed. The room was small in size but comfortable, clean and quiet, for a week of well-rested sleep. I really appreciated the free wifi which worked well and allowed for effortless internet access. The breakfast was a pleasant surprise; with a nice selection of choices including lovely breakfast quiches which were my favorite! The hotel is centrally located between several metro lines as well as walking distance to the Roissy Airport bus stop at Place d'Opera. A decent assortment of shops and restaurants are located close in the neighborhood, but major shopping and department stores are just within a short walking distance. Overall this hotel was a good base for a week-long business trip. I would consider staying again.

    « visit pleasant »

I Enjoyed the hotel, especially the rooms, location and the way I was treated by staff. The breakfast is also very good, there are excellent restaurants and cafes around as well as shops to buy various items, and Metro Station

    « Good choice »

The hotel is small and tight but clean and nice. Room is small but it has all facilities. The bathroom is quite big. Location is perfect, very cetral place. The hotel is located on a cetral bulevard, near to Paris memorabilities. Service is good, everybody is kind.

    « Good - ALMOST Excellent »

It was a pleasant experience! The pretty and handsome counter staffs were always smiling and greeting you - Bonjour, regardless day or night. They were helpful and always trying their best to help, despite their very limited English language. I stayed for 5 days in the first week of October for a work trip, and totally enjoyed my stay with Opal; the location was fantastic, many cafes nearby, the surrounding was quiet at night, the bed was comfy - neat and tidy and clean. An important piece of information that i really need to highlight is - Honesty. I did not kept my monies in the safe, and they were laying around on the table - approx. close to 50 Euros, and its there, everyday! Being a non-french speaking foreigner working(holiday) in another country, having staffs with honesty and english/mandarin speaking staffs really helps a lot! Overall, the experience was very pleasant, the unpleasant stuff i can think of are 1) staffs limited English 2) lift was under maintenance for a day or 2 during my stay 3) did not have toiletries, comb, ear buds etc. 4) 100 TV channels, but most were French speaking 5) shower space was a bit small i.e. 1m X 1m. so unless, you're really particular about these nitty gritty stuffs - everything was excellent! Thumbs Up for the staff and management for OPAL, and I do hope to be staying there again.

    « Great stay! »

We recently stayed at this hotel and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming and helpful the staff were. Although this hotel is not close to the Eiffel, it is located in an area where it is relatively easy hail a taxi or hop on tour bus. If I had one complaint it would be that a city train could be heard (and felt) passing below our room about every 15 minutes. Despite this minor inconvenience, we would definitely stay here again.

« Excellent Stay in Hotel Opal »

My room was excellent and the hotel location is great. The location of the hotel is in the middle of shopping district, famous monument and museums. I will definitely recommend this hotel to family and friends and would come back to stay in the same hotel again.

    « Perfect small hotel! »

Nice small hotel in Paris. The location is perfect as is in the center and you can go around walking and the metro station is just 100 meters away. The rooms are very nice (not big )but with everything new as the bed are realy very comfortable. They have nice modern furnitures and all the facilities that usually you found them in 4-5 stars hotels.Coffe maker and safe box, as also very nice and well organisted bathroom with sampoo and body shoaps. The reception is very helpfull and the cleaness is one of the best.I suggest it 100% for a few days in Paris.

    « Hotel Opal:Good price for value »

We stayed (couple) on 21&22 August over a weekend in Hotel Opal. The hotel has an excellent central location and it is quiet and pleasant to stay. It is close to the metro, to the shops (Galleries Lafayette), to the Opera, to parking facilities and many other places. The room was clean, with clean linen and clean and well renovated shower bathroom. We were very happy with the breakfast which was delicious and of high quality. We would certainly recomend the hotel with only one suggestion/remark to the owners of the hotel which concerns the reception of the hotel during the evenings and night. When we arrived at the hotel, the evening receptionist was not from Paris and could not provide any information at all on Paris, on a close restaurant or on any good restaurant in Paris. Even when we showed him our recommendations from our friends, he could not give us any information. He was not aware of any parking facilities for our car which we finally found ourselves. His reply to all our questions was : I do not know, I am not from Paris? It is a pity for such a nice hotel to have a welcoming impression like this. Moreover, the map of Paris provided by the reception is only in chinese! IT is strongly recommended to provide one at least in french/english, since there are still a lot of European guests coming to Paris and after all we are in Europe and not in China.

    « Great Hotel »

The staff and the location cannot be bettered. The hotel is clean and well decorated. My only slight moans are that the hotel is small - but that is also good - and there are no drawers, or enclosed shelves, in the bedrooms - strange and not user friendly. However the breakfast is really good and the rooms otherwise superb with a really comfortable bed and everything else you would expect from a 4* establishment.

« Kinda Weird But I'd Go Back »

Got this room as an Express Deal on PriceLine. Did not have high expectations. Stayed 4 nights. They handled my weird booking very well (two separate two night reservations). Nicely appointed, clean, but tiny room. And it was shaped really a piece of pie with the bathroom at the pointy end. The wide end was barely big enough to hold the queen sized bed. We just got off a river cruise, and this room and the river ship room were similarly sized, so we're talking TINY. The bathroom was bigger, though. Nice shower, nice fixtures, plenty of hot water, no bath tub. The staff that manned the desk were friendly and spoke English. We didn't really go much beyond check-in talk and hi/bye, so I'm not sure of their command of English, but it's a heck of a lot better than my command of French! The metro line went right under the building, but it's a low rumble that is easy to tune-out. The room had a window out to the "courtyard", so no view...but what do you want from a PriceLine buy? Weird visit from the mini-bar guy during a nap one day. I would expect that they'd just knock, and if someone was in there, they'd go away. Or at least wait for the guest to open the door. He just used his pass key, poked his head in and asked if we used any mini-bar stuff. Nope. He did remind us that the coffee (instant) was complementary and then left. Wow, that was weird. Free internet worked, sort-of. The first day, it was feeding my google maps android app pretty well, but after that, I would connect with a browser, pop over to the maps app to have it calculate a metro route for me, and after a minute or two, it would kick me off the Internet. That was annoying, but I could work around it. Then, our last night in the hotel, they kicked us off the Internet at 8:37pm (it said that in the connection confirmation page). I might have been able to call the desk and ask that it be extended, but I didn't want to get into what might turn into a confusing discussion.

    « Aug in Paris »

booked this room as this was right opposite the hotel my friends were staying at. I got lucky as I was upgraded to a deluxe room which had a large bathroom with bathtub and the room had its own espresso machine. I was super thrilled with the location. Right next to magdalene church and walking distance to place de la Concorde. We even walked to the Eiffel Tower! For the shopaholics, this is a heavenly location. Barely 200mts from Prentemps and gallery Lafayette. The staff at the reception were extremely courteous and helpful. They spoke fluent English and were lovely to interact with.

    « Summer in Paris »

Very nice location of the hotel, easy to find and really good also for tourists that would like to walk the city. The reception was very kind, the rooms although not to so spacey but i axcept it for Paris... I have been there many times, and always finf very tiny rooms... And not really clean, but whatever, lets say it was not bad. The bathroom though it was excellent, clean, warm water, very good. From our room we dint had any good view, but it was not a problem, we were the whole time in the city.. The neighboorhood i also enjoyed. Many bistros, for the big and small hunger, open from early morning until late Night...

    « Very nice hotel »
