« Great hotel with outstanding customer service »

My sister and I stayed at this Best Western for a few days and it was perfect. The location is ideal with multiple restaurants and shops. It is also walking distance to the Louvre. The hotel reception (Priscilla) was the absolute best. She was warm and friendly and gave great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The rooms were recently remodeled and the beds were very comfortable. Wouldn't stay anywhere else next time we're in Paris! Thanks Priscilla for all of the recs!

    « Convenient »

Pros: -Staff (Definitely most valuable asset of the hotel) -Location -Interior Design -Cleanliness -Breakfast Cons: -Hot water & AC stopped working one day for several hours, which was the worst timing for me since I so desperately needed to take a shower & the weather was so cold. -Rooms way too tiny -Mattress not the comfiest

    « family stay »

We had an excellent stay. We travelled with our 1 1/2 years old son and the hotel was very polite and helped us with every little detail. It was a perfect experience. The room was very clean and it had space for a baby cot.

« location excellent for exploring city »

Reception staff so nice and friendly. Used hotel as base to explore Paris so cannot comment on hotel amenities except to say they have area for breakfast and bar. Hotel is spotless. Yep as other reviews state the rooms are small but didn't bother us as we were out and about. However, we were so lucky to have room with balcony on 5th floor overlooking Blvd San Sebastopol (which some people may find noisy) we enjoyed looking out and just mesmerised by amount of traffic!

    « Delightful Idir »

What a delightfully charming welcome from Idir late in the evening and then in the morning at the hotel. He was friendly, helpful and kind. Nothing was too much trouble and his personal touch changed a routine business trip into a more memorable one that would encourage me to return to the hotel. Thank you Idir.

    « Fantastic »

Superb hospitality from the staff especially Priscilla at reception, so helpful in all aspects. A most enjoyable stay. The hotel has a 'boutique' style and is very comfortable a good find in the city.

    « Just superb »

We've never been in a more comfortable hotel in Paris. But this time we did at Best Western Marais GB. Everything about it was pretty well perfect. The public areas are impressive and the front entrance stones are just plain spectacular. Rooms Rooms were lovely and very clean. we upgraded to next level which was beautiful view of Paris with a balcony. Service and staff wonderful staff and service. everyone was really friendly and attentive. Greating us without limit. Special thanks to IDIR. Service is perfect, and attention to detail.

    « good hotel ... unless you're noise sensitive »

Rooms are functional and clean and the hotel is well located All ingredients to make it a great hotel if only the sound proofing was better The hotel rooms all face a busy boulevard which makes it very noisy until 1am The hotel offers ear plugs though as a compensation .....

    « Good hotel »

Overall this is a nice hotel. Conveniently located right next to the metro, across be road form a supermarket and nearby to some busy nightlife options. Did notice the street behind the hotel seems a bit dodgy at night. The hotel has an ultra comfy bed and pillows, good sized room and nice bathroom. Fast WiFi. Our bathroom sink was clogged. The only downsides would be the rooms are not particularly soundproof so you can hear your loud neighbors. The staff also seemed rather smug and while helpful they were not accommodating. Overall a good hotel. Recommended if the price is right.

    « What a Surprise. Fantastic Experience. »

We arrived in Paris for an AirBnB which fell through. This Best Western was nearby so we walked in. From that moment on, we met the most professional and friendly staff, slept in very comfortable beds, enjoyed hot showers and a lovely breakfast. The front desk went above and beyond our expectations and I am very grateful to all of them, morning, afternoon and night. We also loved the breakfast staff. Five stars.

« Clean and good location »

I can really recommend this hotel for you who want to discover the city and not spend so much time in the room. Room is really small but over all the hotel is cozy and clean. Breakfast not worth 16€ each and would recommend to eat breakfast at a small cafe, so many places near by. Really good that hotel is so close to metrostop.

« Really cute, really comfortable Hotel »

I was in Paris to celebrate my 50th birthday, and wanted a comfortable and somewhat reasonably priced 4 star hotel. This place was so cute, so near the Metro, I liked everything except the twin beds. I had a room on the 6th floor, in the corner, and it had a great View of the city. Breakfast was quite reasonable also though I didn't really have the time to try it. The rooms were clean and very well decorated oh, I loved the lights and the bathroom was gorgeous though just a little small. The front desk was very pleasant and I loved the free little candies they had. My girlfriend wasn't crazy about the neighborhood but I really thought it had character and it was an easy walk to the Opera.

« Good Hotel, Good Location, Very Courteous Staff »

We are from India and stayed at the hotel in the last week of October. We booked this hotel only by reading reviews and we were NOT dissapointed at all.... Location - The hotel is located in a decent area. The best part is that the Metro is just next door, so very convenient. Also there is super store across the road for your needs. The Notre Dame is within 20 minutes walking distance. There are also lots of cafes in the vicinity so a good place to stay. Room - The rooms are a little compact. Could have been a little bigger as with your luggage it becomes difficult to move around. But yes, the rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast - The breakfast spread was not elaborate but sufficient. But i guess this was a standard buffet what most European hotels offer. Staff - The best part of this hotel were the staff. All of them were very very courteous and helpful. We could ask them anything and they were always ready to help. I should mention Gulshah, Priscilla & Romain. There may be others , but we interacted with these three assets of your hotel. They are the stars of your hotel. Please do convey our wishes to them. Will recommend this hotel to others. Overall had a good stay.

    « Nice stay »

We went here for a long weekend. Small rooms but very cosy and clean. Nice and friendly staff. It's a bit far to walk to the bigger attractions but there's a metro station just around the corner. Money well spent if you decide to spend some time in Paris.

    « Excellant Hotel! »

Our kids booked this hotel for us for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It was an excellent choice. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I contacted the hotel a week before our trip for help in getting us to the hotel from the airport and Idir was very prompt and sent me directions for the subway. Idir was very helpful in helping us get around Paris. We can not say enough about all of the people that work the front desk from recommending cafe/restaurants to calling taxis for us to helping me connect to the WIFI. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

« Wonderful stay with awesome staff »

You never know when you book online but we really lucked out when we chose to stay at the Best Western Premier Marais Grand. This hotel is immaculately clean inside and out. Although the room was small by North American standard, this is Paris. The room was set up to be very functional, has a table and chair, bar fridge, armoire with space to hang your clothes and shelves, also a safe where you can lock your valuable. Great bathroom with spacious sink, toilet and a stand up shower. The bed we can't rave enough about it, it was like sleeping on a cloud. All the employees especially at the front desk are very professional and great people! Always smiling, helpful ensuring that all is well with the services and the quality of the room. We would like to thank Romain, Gullah, Ider, Priscilla and Denis for their excellent service and friendships. Also Zhore for looking after us each morning and providing us with an excellent breakfast buffet. The location is also ideal. The metro is less than a block away. Around the corner within a block there is a small grocery store, pharmacy, pastry shop, restaurants and lots of cafés. If you want to go about the city and not take the metro there is also the bus routes which are easily accessible. We'll definitely book a room there next time we are in Paris!

« Great place to stsy »

First hats off to Gullah and Idir. Excellent service from both of them. Felt safe in this neighborhood. Front desk extremely helpful. Rooms were compact, but everything there that was needed. We stayed there are first night in Paris and our last. Would return.

    5
« Very good service and clean. »

This hotel is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are rather tiny but that's to be expected. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area isn't bad but you do have to be rather careful at night like everywhere else in the city and the hotel is locked at night and they let you in when you approach so it's secure. It is very close to a main metro line that will take you in several different directions so you can get around quickly and it's very close to nice shopping and restaurants. Housekeeping was prompt they come in and make up your room quickly while you're away and replenish towels etc.. The one downfall I thought was the breakfast served. It is pricey at 16 Euros per person per day if you chose to eat at the hotel. Also the internet connection was in and out nearer the top floors of the hotel. Other than those small things I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

    5
    « Great place »

Cannot recommend highly enough. If you are coming to PARIS for a holiday or stop over, this place is the answer. Do not bother looking anywhere else! Staff and service is beyond first class. IDIR at reception is there to make your stay comfortable and special. The hotel itself is very clean. It is an experience in itself. You will truly feel like you are staying in YOUR OWN HOUSE. The rooms are comfortable. We were upgraded to an executive which was simply the best room, tidy and clean carpet with a coffee set up and clean shower. Everything you want is available or arranged by the reception. Just book this place!

« Lovely hotel, easy access to sights but area a bit dodgy »

Convenient for Gare du Nord and literally straight down the road from hotel to the Seine, Notre Dame and all of the other sights. Just off the main road the area is a bit seedy and a local red light area but there are some delightful bars and restaurants very close by. We arrived and were greeted by a lovely Turkish lady on reception who was very helpful in giving us tips on how to get around. Very much was less than thirty minutes easy walking. The hotel is fairly modern and looks like it has been recently refurbished. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the Main Street. Very much like an attic room with a sloping ceiling. Room was clean and well appointed but as compact as you would expect for a city centre hotel. Staff each day were helpful and friendly and offered help and assistance at every opportunity. Would come back.

    « Excellent service »

"Excellent service" I must say everything about this Hotel is excellent. A place to be on top priority to visit when in France. All the staff were friendly and eager to assist. « IDIR » and his presentation about everything was not only good but superb. Please also allow visitor to see the Breakfast, their breakfast was superb. Normally I booked 3 stars when i'm in Paris but this time i have to experience staying in 4 stars Hotel Best Western Premier. I was amazed with their interior. they have a small bar where we had a couples of beers and wines. staff were very welcoming and smiling and great choices of the region which I enjoyed a lot. pretty awsome but worth it. « Lost of sleep »

The phone in the room rang around midnight every night. The air-conditioning did not work on the last night and the room was too hot to sleep comfortably. The only thing that is above average is the cleanliness and location. The room and services were average, because they were unable to resolve the issues. The sleep quality was bad because I was unable to sleep soundly.

    « I will choose this again »

Very convenient hotel. Strategic as a location in the city, with not too much trafic around for being in the heart of Paris and convenient for Metro. Small without being too small, clean and functional with very polite and helpful personnel. Room ok with very comfortable beds. Bathroom ok. Breakfast normal without any particular appeal. Wi-Fi weak. Overall a

    « Fantastic Holiday »

WOW! We have had the most enjoyable holiday we have ever had in Paris and I cant recomend the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards enough. I must mention Idir, as he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed and, in particular, his handling of an issue we had at the start of our holiday which was sorted quickly and in a professional manner. Thank you for the time you spent with us! I'd also mention all the staff in the front desk you were a delight every time we spoke to you.

    4
    « Overall good stay »

Hotel room was nice and clean. Good shower stream and blowdryer. Very close to a metro station and can walk to some of the attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful, giving us a city map and showing us which direction to walk towards attractions. The hotel is close to shops and was able to pick up some bites and water for the day. We in in Paris for 4 days and always came back to the hotel quite late 11pm and after midnight. Like any city they were people hanging round, however never once did we feel unsafe.

« Few Days in Paris with Friends »

This hotel which was selected by one of our party was our base for a few days following our French holiday. Pleasantly surprised by the quality and cleanliness. Close to Sebastopol Metro Station. Very helpful receptionist.

    4
« Great location - very firendly staff - Nice rooms »

Great hotel with a faboulus location. A lot of traffic, also during night-time, thats the only drawback for the hotel. The location, staff, and rooms however will make it worth it anyway, so we will go back.

    4
« Within easy walking distance of many visitor attractions »

we found this hotel to be comfortable and ideally situated for our needs. The staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to converse in English. The room was small, but clean, and pleasantly decorated with everything that we needed for our four night stay. The nearest metro station, Strasbourg - Saint-Denis, was little more than a minute's walk, and not much more than a ten minute stroll to the Louvre or the many bars and restaurants in the area around the Rue Montorgueil. The only surprise was the request for a deposit of €50 on arrival; there seems to be nothing in the booking site which mentions such a requirement. There was no problem having the amount refunded on departure, but for those like us who use cash throughout our travels, to avoid unnecessary bank charges for foreign transactions, this needs to be factored into the budget - and, if this is the last stop before home, you will end with perhaps more Euros than is desirable.

    5
« Really good place to stay »

I can only recommend this hotel very good service, friendly atmosphere and an ideal location. Good for business trips and also just for a leisure trip to Paris. Easy to get around on Metro and bus. Then area has a variety of typical French Bistros and Cafes which are also used by the locals.

    « I like it ;) »

Really clean and nice place what in Paris is not so easy to find.. Staff are very nice and rooms are really good prepared. Small but confortable Gym is good for the begining of the day. Lokalization in the city centre is perfect for walking around and to keep feeling of this city from inside:) I enjoy a lot.. Magdalena

« Great hotel but the surrounding could improve »

My partner and I stayed there for 5 days in the begining of August. The room was very nice, the bed was superb! Very clean, neat and modern. You were provided soap and shampoo as well. The receptionists were lovely, very helpful! We did a quick check in and the receptionist told us about the main turist attractions and public transport. The hotel is located about 20min away from the Notre Dame (walking distance). The down point are the surrounding, there were many prostitues on the street and around the hotel. We never felt unsafe dar the hotel but I must say that I would not go out late at night. We stayed on the first floor and especially during the weekends it was very noisy from all the talking from outside.

    4
« Great value and location. Super helpful staff »

This is a real find. Modern and clean, boutique style rooms at a great price. The front desk staff, Denis could not have been more helpful. Best western should promote him! Yes, the rooms are small but this is Paris! Really good location and right next to a metro station. On a Main Street so if sleeping late is your choice then ask for a room at the back. This will be my preferred Best Western on future visits.

« BEST WESTERN PREMIER MARAIS GRAND BOULEVARD, Paris »

We booked a hotel to stay for our family vacation. From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff from the front desk to house keeping to the Cafeteria were extremely helpful and really looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. The rooms are quite nice and beautiful not that much spacious but same in all the hotels in paris. The restaurant downstair for the Breakfast and bar is welcoming. Honesty Bar « AWSOME » and the food is good with average prices--great for a family. Again the service of the Front Desk staff is excellent--friendly and always accommodating. We would definitely thank IDIR for the first impression. I will definitely come here again. Other points--very close to the Champs Elysée and Eifel Tawer. Walking distance to Notre Dame is about 10 Minutes

« Lovely hotel, good price and in a great location too! »

My wife and I took are teenage children for a weekend away in August 2017 with an Executive room for ourselves and a twin room for the children. We booked directly to get the best price and breakfast included and right from the start, we had fantastic service from them. Big thanks to Priscila Cosme for being so helpful and answering all our questions beforehand such as places to shop, eat etc and also for reserving the top floor corner rooms for us as she really made our stay a memorable one. The hotel is very modern and clean and we also had a wrap around balcony to enjoy the views and people watching. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever used (I should have made a note of the mattress brand so I can buy one!) Breakfast was included which was buffet style and included a small selection of hot foods (Scrambled egg, sausages, bacon and mushrooms) along with cold meats, dairy products and of course croissants and pastries. There is a small grocery store opposite which sell fresh fruit as well as a variety of cold drinks and alcohol. The location is great and easy to get to on foot from Gare Du Nord (takes about 15-20 mins walk) and we walked to most of the main attractions and shopping locations too. We kept our travel by underground to a minimum as wanted to see as much of the real Paris as possible so only got it a couple of times to see the attractions outside of the main city centre but when we did, we found it easy to use and navigate. Earlier reviews mention graffiti in the area but having walked around much of Paris found it to be common place most areas so is just the norm in Paris so don't be put off by that I'd definitely stay here again next time we are in Paris and would recommend it to others too. Thank again for a great stay!

    « Fine »

Hotel is nice, staff are friendly, helpful, and speak fluent English. Rooms on the small side (typical for Europe), but very comfortable. Close to Metro and grocery store across street. Breakfast was good. On the whole, you will see a lot of graffiti painted and homeless sleeping around. I noticed this throughout Paris, just not in this area. We took the metro to Eiffel Tower and had no problems.

    « Excellent Choice »

My Mother and I stayed at this hotel for 9 days in July 2017. It was our first time to Paris. The staff at this hotel made our trip one of the best trips ever! All of the staff could speak English and were extremely helpful and kind about giving us directions and helping us to book our tours. Everyday, they were happy, helpful, kind and positive. The BEST! :) My Mother and I shared a twin room with 2 separate beds. Our room was very clean, modern, decorated nicely, and comfortable. We had free wifi in our room and the room was cleaned daily, even though we slept in and usually left for our day after 1pm. The hotel has a small restaurant downstairs and also had a computer and printer for guests to use which was free. The hotel location was great! It saved us money on taxis because in 30 minutes we could walk to the Louvre or to the Opera House or to the Galeries Lafayette Department store. There were also many other attractions nearby. To sum up, our experience at this hotel made our trip to Paris a very positive experience with great memories. I highly recommend it and many thanks to the excellent staff. We will be visiting again. Kind Regards, Vicki Ann Shewchuk & Patricia Shewchuk

    « Wonderful stay »

Absolutely fabulous hotel in a great and central location. There is a metro round the corner for easy access to all the cities major attractions and only 20 mins on foot to Gare du Nord. All the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, they all seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. Special thanks to Priscila and Romain who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Absolutely would stay again!

    « Excellent hotel »

excellent staff, spoke English, very helpful, courteous. All amenities of high quality in the room including bath size towels. 1/2 block from metro with 3 lines. 3 stops from Gare D'Nord. Best place for 2 or 3 nights. Booked on Booking.com for about 100 Euros/night. Full American size queen beds. As in most of Europe the rooms are small.

    « It's a yes! »

I was in Paris for 5 nights, and loved the hotel. The staff could not be better, the room was super nice, and the shower was fabulous. I only tried the buffet once and not so sure I would do it again, but it's certainly convenient and I'd say give it a try. I was alone in Paris and felt super safe in the hotel. That said, it's an interesting neighborhood. If you walk out and go left, I would consider the neighborhood to be normal Paris, shops, restaurants, and not far from the fun streets of the Maris. If you go right, the metro stop is on the corner (perfect) but the neighborhood is somewhat shabby. A lot of men are hanging around the metro, but no one bothered me AT ALL, even at night. I also saw several prostitutes. So I would just advise, go out and go left, tho if you need to go right you still won't have a problem. It's just interesting Paris. Even from around the Louvre in the 1st, it's still only about a 15 minute walk to the hotel, very pleasant. All in all, loved the hotel, loved the staff (thanks Priscilla!), and would happily stay there again. Good value.

    « worth to spend a million »

A hotel design from the outside is amazing in the heart of Paris. The lobby already gives you the impression of being well controlled. The receptionists were very smiling. The public areas are clean and neat and decorated. The breakfast buffet was particularly good. Everything was fresh, well presented and all accompanied by impeccable service, smiling and discreet. Our room was perfect. The bathroom was in the same tones, neat. Very nice for the end of the day and / or after a fitness session. definitely I ll come back.

    « great hotel »

This was the first stop on my wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. Hotel was easy to get to from the airport and all the stations and attractions, which was amazing. The staff were very friendly and a special thanks to Prescila and Idir. they were very very very helpful, thanks to all of them and were able to accommodate a late check out request. Breakfast was included with our package and it was fantastic - so much choice and the quality was excellent. Our room was very clean and tidy, Bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had a massive shower and bath. Room was nice and quiet also. extremely excellent service from start to finish. Hotel is highly recommended and will definitely stay here again if in Paris. Daher

« Good location, small rooms, great rates »

Stayed here for a few nights to visit Paris. The room was very small but very modern and clean with good air conditioning. Breakfast is good and there is a tiny fitness center/gym (which would make this hotel really great if they added some equipment to it). No real frills, 2 minute walk to Metro and convenient to super markets and some restaurants around. Only downside is that there isn't that much to do here, so you will need to hop on the Metro first.

    « Amazing »

A visit to France is not complete without a trip to Paris and the visit to paris never will be completed if you do not stay in Best Western Marais Grand Boulevards. It's is truly awesome. The Receptionist Idir was great and kind to all of us. Booked one Classic room then was upgraded to an executive, I started to be happy as well the kindness of the receptionist and witch made our stay beautiful for just 2 night witch will be inforgatable. Not so expansive if you try a Honesty Bar with an amaizing wine call D-Vine Glass of red Wine worth it. The setting in Honesty Bar is stunning in keeping with the hotel itself. I think trusting your guest are unique in the world, including one with free Suites, Popcorn and chocolate Cake. Sounds awsome and it's amazing. It's a definite highlight in Paris. Thx Idir Manuel

« Best of the best »

Like all other reviews before mine I will have to confirm that this is the preferred place. Smile everywhere, nice lounge bar and a friendly and smiling staff. A night receptionist who was listening. He smiles all night ... incredible. The room was very nice, well equipped and furnished with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is very well maintained. The breakfast buffet is very delicious with a friendly service at the breakfast lounge. We stayed three nights and were very pleased, I and my wife. We were very satisfied with the warm receptionist who really opened the door at midnight with a smile for a check in. The fact that the hotel has this staff is also an attraction and want to come back.

    « Recent stay »

The staff were so helpful and a pleasure to be around. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The location was close to everything and the breakfast was very good. The location is only a two minute walk from the front door with good connections to all the major tourist attractions and airport. They have a 24 hour honesty bar that is well stocked with good with good quality drinks. They even have a free sweet bar with a choice of sweets and popcorn. The staff went out of their way to be of assistance. They were very knowledgeable of the area, trains and public transport and attractions to see. Nothing was too much for them to help with.

    « Very good option »

The rooms are small ... really tiny. But everything else is very nice. It looks like the place has recently undergone a major renovation, so everything is new. The bathroom was spacious. The AC worked really great. Little conveniences (like a kettle and some tea and instant coffee) were also handy. There's an espresso machine in the lobby, along with some fruit. And they offer a breakfast downstairs if you're interested in paying a bit extra for it. Centrally located, with a cool lighting at night, this hotel is a very good option for a few days in Paris.

    « Excellent week's stay in Paris! »

My husband & I stayed here for 8 nights in May this year. We would stay here again in a heartbeat & recommend it highly. The most outstanding was the front desk personnel, especially Priscilla. She was phenomenal! So friendly and helpful. She recommended a place for dinner our first night and it was so amazing, we ate there 3 times that week (Brasserie Julien)! Our room was tiny, but we expected that in Paris. It was modern and clean and quite nicely designed. The afternoon/evening snacks in the lobby area were very convenient. Wifi worked great, too. The hotel itself is located in a noisy area, but there are plenty of stores & restaurants within walking distance, and the Metro is just steps away. Before bedtime, you will hear a lot of police sirens & perhaps the corner prostitute yelling, but all quiets down a lot overnight. We were so tired that we slept hard on our comfortable bed & never heard a thing. My husband used to manage hotels and was never a huge fan of Best Westerns, but this one won him over, to say the least! We LOVED it!

    « Super hospitality »

We loved our stay at the Best western. They were nice enough to give both my sister and me the largest rooms (which are usually reserved for the disabled) in the hotel on the ground floor. The reception desk was very helpful with giving us tips on the places to visit, and handing us a tourist map. They were extremely efficient in giving us print outs when required for our reservations, etc. Best part was that it was located 2 mins away from St. Denis-stratsbourg metro. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is staying in Paris as a tourist.

    « Charming boutique hotel »

We visited this hotel from May 17-20th, 2017. The hotel is clean, well appointed and modern. Seems like a brand new hotel in a older period building. Our room was small, but we expected that. More than enough room for us for a three night stay. Located right next to a tube and bus station, so we had easy access to the whole city. Many restaurants and pubs in the area, whether you were looking for a pint of beer, a croissant or a full meal. Very efficient and friendly staff, who spoke excellent English during our whole stay. The only thing we would change would be our walk from Gare du Nord. We felt like we were in a sketchy area and on reflection we would have taken a taxi from the station. This does not really impact the rating or stay at this hotel though, the area around the hotel is fine and we felt quite safe. I would gladly stay in this hotel again!

Very nice hotel in the heart of the Marais within walking distance to the Center Pompidou and other places of interest. Only 2 metro stations from Gare de L'Est.We look forward to the next stay.Particularly to be highlighted is the friendly service at the front desk. The staff take time for you and make you feel welcome

Excellent facility and staff. The staff at front desk and in the breakfast area we very friendly efficient and most helpful. They were also fluent in English language. They knew the area around the hotel and also gave excellent directions to local attractions and to subway stations. We would definitely stay here again

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights and had a great stay. It´s a nice hotel in the middle of Paris. Great location within access to the Metro station. A comfortable room and very friendly service. Gladly again.

    « Really fine stay »

Staff really helpfull and kind, their welcome was special and the hospitaloty too.. Small room but really modern and clean. Perfect location, near the metro and the train station Chatelet. We also reached notre dame walking. Special stay. Thank you.

    « Excellent location »

The hotel is at an excellent location for a tourist however as it is in such a busy area there was lot of noise from the road which kept me awake until the early hours of the morning. In-spite of the same i do recommend this hotel to all.

« reduced to the max »

a lovely City Hotel, well located near Metro, bus stations and railway stations, all members of the staff are very friendly and doing their best to serve customers very well with the available space as major limiting factor: my room (very nicely located under the roof with a top view over Paris) was just 12-14 square meters "big" and I cannot imagine anyone will ever pay the official price announced in the room.

    « Nice hotel - good value »

I stayed at the Best Western with a friend for 3 nights and we were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is very close (about 2-3 minutes) to the next Metro station and you will find a supermarket and various restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Room was small but very clean, staff is friendly and always helpful. Really good value for the price, would stay here again.

« Nice renewed room design »

Very positive are the modern renovated rooms (on 6th floor at least), even when they are a bit narrow. Very new bathroom with excellent equipment. Unfortunately the room was very noisy by traffic noise through the not very well fitting old windows and by a fan on the roof. The air condition/heating wasn't working first day, but has been repaired next day. Also there are mainly only FR TV channels available with the only exception of BBC News and 3 IT channels. No other language coverage, which is poor for an international hotel chain.

    « Excelent Staff! »

The best thing about this Hotel is having a very professional and fantastically helpful Staff! Hotel is very good situated in central parts of Paris with access to many different metro lines within few minutes of walk. There are many bars, restaurants and shops around the hotel. hotel is newly refurbished and is always clean and tidy. the only negative thing was, our double room was slightly smaller than we expected. Fridge and complimentary tee and coffee was a good thing.

    « Great Boutique Hotel »

I went with my 14y old daugther. Modern, clean and super beds. If you enjoy a Hotel a bit from the ordinary, this is a very good choice. Hotel staff is very friendly, competent in English and helpful with whatever you need. We loved the Hotel, but the area was a bit to "international" for us, and we did not feel comfortable at night. It is howsoever in walking distance to the Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame and Les Halles which is great for shopping. (All 15 minutes walk). Walk down Rue Saint Martin paralell to the street the Hotel is on. Also easy access to Metro that takes you directly to the Eifel Tower (stop Trocadero) and Champs Elysses (4stops). If you want to go to Montemartre/SacreCeaur you can take metro 4 and change to metro 2 or 12. Also very easy. Cafe Central outside of Hotel has wonderful coffee and breakfast.

    « Very good »

Well situated, within walking distance from metro and gare du nord and gare de l' est. It is also centrally situated between the river , le Marais, and the Montmatre, hence we preferred to walk around. The hotel is trully a 4* one. The bed was comfortable and the ned sheets and pillows fresh and nice. Our room was a bit small but the bathroom was very good, with a fantastic and modern shower. It had also a good hair blowdryer. The lights were very good and it has many plugs in the room where you can charge all your devices. The internet was very good too, it had good wifi coverage and it was free and fast enough. Finally the staff was very polite and very helpful. I warm thank you for the hospitality.

Really lovely hotel, modern, contemporary designed decor, clean, friendly and had a great atmosphere. Receptionists couldn't do enough for us. Able to store suitcases in a locked room when checking out so you can enjoy your last day.

« Spotless and modern interior »

Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is immaculate. Although rooms are very small they are very modern and immaculate. As out all day it doesn't really matter. Kettle, tea and coffee in room and given iron and board for entire stay when we asked at reception. Reception staff are fab and all spoke good English (my French leaves a lot to be desired!!). Wanted to chill one night after a very busy day so disappointing that only one English Channel on TV (BBC World News). Hotels usually have a bit of choice or the option to watch a film. Breakfast was OK although limited but the tea was dire (better in the room). Lady was rushed off her feet one morning but she remained pleasant when she was faced with a very rude guest. Good location with metro literally a few steps around the corner and hop on hop off bus stop 5 minute walk away. Plenty of coffee bars and restaurants a very short walk away. A bit noisy as on main road.

« Perfect place for 1 night stay! »

My boyfriend surprised me for our 5 year anniversary to a night in Paris. He got a very good price and I could not fault this hotel, appeared way more expensive than it was, very luxurious and staff were excellent. Location also very good!

    « Good experience »

Newly renovated beautiful and very comfortable rooms. Staff are very friendly. Internet connection was not that good. However, this did not affect my work as I had 4G service that I used. It was my first time to use this hotel. I am sure I will use it again during my future stays in Paris.

« A gem in the historic center of Paris! »

Stayed for one short night at that hotel after a late check-in and early morning rise for a museum exhibit and return flight to NYC: great welcome, very comfortable room on ground floor, prompt check-out, lavish contemporary style interior decoration and great location near old Marais district, two major train stations, Chatelet square and the Grands Boulevards for shopping!

    « Super! »

We spent a weekend in November at this hotel. It is very nice in every way! helpful and friendly staff, the rooms are small but contain everything you need and they were fresh and fine. the hotel is close to the metro and in the area there are plenty of restaurants and cafes. It is walking distance to the center with attractions such as the Louvre and Notre Dame. we really want to recommend this hotel. Thank you for a very pleasant stay!

    « Nice quiet hotel »

We stayed here for a week in September. It was our first trip to Paris so we picked this hotel because it was centrally located and near a Metro station. The room was very nice but a bit on the small side. We were out so much that it really didn't matter to us. The hotel will store luggage while you are there which makes the room feel less cluttered. (we didn't take advantage of this option) It was very clean and had everything we needed, including a nice shower and good wifi. The front desk was good to us and helped on several occasions with directions and also lent us an umbrella on the one day that it rained. There was a general hum to the city and sirens could be heard most nights...but it is down town Paris. The streets around the hotel are filled with people of all types, including a few selling themselves but it always felt safe to walk around. Rue St.Denis is one block away and filled with interesting shops, restaurants and bakeries. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Louve, d'Orsay and other interesting areas of central Paris.

« Not the best location, unless you like prostitutes. »

We stayed here for 2 nights on our babymoon/ early honeymoon. (I definitely recommend booking any and all hotels directly through their own website so that there's a better chance of getting upgrades/ freebies for special occasions.) LOCATION: This hotel is located on a busy street next to the Metro. We constantly heard the roar of sirens and traffic (room 13, 1st floor, facing main street) and could literally spot multiple prostitutes from our window at almost any given time of day. We looked it up only after our first night because there were just so many, and found out that the area was known for "ladies of the night" that don't just come out during the night. Some were obvious and scantily dressed, while others looked like regular middle-aged moms. You could usually tell if they were prostitutes by the shoes they wore. They usually stood in one spot or in door ways for long periods of time. We watched them approach middle aged men walking by themselves and then disappear into the allies, all from our window. In a matter of 48 hours, we also witnessed a younger guy tagging a wall across the street during the day (from our window), and a drug deal between a black man and a white man, just a few blocks down. The minority population is a lot higher in this area in comparison to other parts of Paris and you'll definitely notice when walking around. With all that said, we were never approached or bothered by anyone on the street. We never felt unsafe walking, but we were always together. I wouldn't recommend this area to people traveling with kids though. ROOM: Standard small size with an even smaller bathroom. You literally step in, and step out. The design of the shower let water spray through so our floors were always a little wet. Rooms come with nice TVs, minibar, blow dryer, safe, and a clock that is Iphone friendly. The bed was comfortable and sheets felt nice a clean. Unfortunately, not the quietest. We could always hear people in the hall and the fire alarm went off for a good 3-5 minutes straight right outside our room. For our room being non-smoking, it always smelled like smoke right when we entered, but nothing too unbearable. After a certain time, you must be let in through the front doors by the front desk, and twice were we standing there, waiting to be let in. For being a bigger chained hotel, we were expecting the front desk help to be a little more friendly. They were definitely not the warmest and at the time of check-out, I was told we had to pay city taxes of almost 10 euro for staying only 2 nights. I booked through Priceline and even showed her the emails that said nothing of this additional fee, after she repeatedly claimed it did. We later figured out that the fee was already included with Priceline, but the hotel never charged us for it and expected us to pay the last day. A little hiccup, but I just didn't appreciate how the front desk was so certain that I was wrong. She never apologized, just said she understood how I could have misunderstood because nothing was written in the email or on Priceline's site. Overall, the room and hotel itself were aesthetically appealing and very clean, but the location and the staff's lukewarm customer service will have us looking elsewhere.

    « Modern, clean hotel »

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was small but well-appointed. The employees were very friendly and helpful, especially Romain at the front desk. The neighborhood is busy and dense, probably not the most peaceful part of Paris.

« Well located, clean, helpful staff »

I was there with my girlfriend for 5 nights and our stay was very pleasant. At the time I had had a problem with my credit card and the staff was very helpful in finding an alternative solution to pay. To cheer us up, or because the hotel wasn't fully booked, or both, we had an upgrade to an higher level room. The room itself was very clean and bright, with bed and bathroom appropriate to the hotel's category. Concerning the position, it is within walking distance to an area with nice bars and restaurants (towards Les Halles), and it is excellently situated 2-3 minutes walk from the underground station connected to M4, M8, M9. Convenience stores can be found very close by. Overall, I'd strongly suggest this hotel! :)

    4
« Convenient Location in Paris »

The Hotel is clean, neat and we loved the courteous staff. The rooms are about average size but given that it is Paris, we also expected it. Good location advantage in the best district of Marais, Would strongly suggest tourists stay in this district and in this hotel.

    « 40th Birthday Treat »

Good location in center of Paris. Close to metro station. Many shops and restaurants near by. Hotel itself is clean, room is modern and fresh. Yes, its a bit small but it is normal for Paris. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast we preferred to eat outside of hotel. There are many croissanteries and bagel caffes. I would stay in this hotel again.

« Low quality overall, so Disappointed. »

We have stayed here for our honeymoon. Once we have seen the room, It was really disappointing.VERY SMALL room, and bathroom. even if we have asked to change room to same category, they were not able to satisfy our request , saying that they didnt have got anymore room. and they have got only a suite which we had to pay more diffirence if we would like to change what I did is,Ive looked through a booking site if they have got any availability for the same classic double room for the dates of our stay, theygot more than one classic room available. really disappointing!!!!! I think it was the smallest room that they have in the hotel!!! Wi-fi connection didnt work all the time we were at the highest floor I think. But it was clean, and well supplied. We were expecting atleast a good buffet of breakfast for its expensive cost, but what we had was really poor quality, small choices of foods and beverages. Staff were helpful, to give some informations. Especially the gentlemans. The lady on the reception on our check out , didn't help us the way we've wanted. The biggest good point of this hotel, might be its location. Few minutes away by subway from all the main attractions of Paris city centre. The nearest subway stop is just across the street. Just pay attention on pick pockets theyre everywhere! Overall, I don't reccomend this hotel, If you want to be home away from home, go and spend your money in somwhere else better than this hotel!!!

I tried to book my recent stay at the hotel was trying to book 2 rooms using there website but some how the booking was not going through so i decided to send them a mail to help me book the needfull also had sent a screenshot of there website with the offer and price total for the stay , how ever they never replied to the mail at first go so i decided to call them instead , the lady at reservation said she just checked my mail and will be sending me the reservation link again , on receipt of there mail the prices were high she had sent me different and high room rates + additional cost for breakfast (it was already included in my booking ref image) - taking it further i replied to there mail attaching the same image but this time they even increased the prices of the room , overall poor experience with the bookings calling them 5 times and sending them a mail 4 times was just a waste of time and money and because of them i missed my booking at another hotel as it got full ...... will never recommend any one to expect anything from the hotel staff pathetic service

« Good location, Small rooms »

I spent one night in this place whilst on business in Paris. The location is good, with lots of restaurants, and shops around. I have to say also that the staff are very friendly. However I found the room and the bathroom too small for the rate charged (309€/night). I'm not sure I will return to this place again for the same rate.

    « Leisure Visit »

Accommodations were excellent. Located near Metro station and bus route. Many cafes and restaurants are located in close proximity and are within walking distance. Grocery store is across the boulevard from the hotel. Recommend this hotel to travelers visiting Paris.

    « Smart and convenient »

A stone's throw from the Metro. Stylish décor and a courteous welcome. I hate not having a proper bathtub - but have to say the shower [there are only showers] was superb - not a drop leaking out of the cubicle in the lovely bathroom with great 'Nuxe' amenities. Bed great and [for Paris] quite a reasonable sized room, lots of storage space, tea and coffee, speaker / charger for I-phone, varied pillows and immaculately clean. A delight!

« good location, good value »

positive: close to metro, clean rooms, friendly reception, good value (125€ single, breakfast included) neutral: breakfast (continental, in basement), small room (but within the acceptable range for Paris) negative: nothing

« Good value, but not ideal for business travellers »

The staff were all helpful and charming, from the reception desk to the cafe to the housekeeping staff. As is typical of older Parisian hotels, the rooms are tiny. Although well-designed to make the most of the small space and beautifully updated with contemporary fixtures, the room was not a suitable work environment. The desk was a narrow shelf and the only options for using it were to sit on the end of the bed or squeeze uncomfortably onto a tiny chair between the bed and the edge of the desk. Internet connection was extremely slow, unless you pay for an upgrade. That said, the included breakfast was very good value with a good selection of fresh breads, fruit, cheeses, etc. Would definitely consider for a leisure trip, but not for business.

« Great hotel with polite staff and great metro links very close by. »

Outstanding hotel with polite and friendly staff who will help you in any way they can. Well layed out and makes use if the space they have very well. Breakfast was decent with everything you could want I especially loved all the fresh fruit and cheeses. My only one failing was a single item regarding my room type where they lit my wife and I in a standard when we had booked an executive room but after speaking with my wife we weren't fussed and were quite happy with the one they gave us and of course they knocked the difference off the bill without question and with a sincere apologies. A great hotel which I'm sure our next visit to Paris will be first on our list.

« Perfect Choice for Paris for A Couple on Holiday »

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at this Best Western Premier. It was close to the train station (Gare du Nor) we used and the Metro stop was right on the corner. Transportation proximity was important to us since our stay in Paris was a short one. The room itself was excellent - modern decor, clean and comfortable. The fixtures and furniture were like new. The brunch offering was satisfactory and reasonably priced for the neighborhood. The front desk staff were friendly and extremely helpful with sightseeing tips and navigating the Metro to get the most our of our short stay - we really appreciated that. All in all, we can confidently recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again when we return to Paris.

    1
« Not the best choice-supper noisy room »

The rooms are nice but don't fall for that. The area immediately outside the hotel is very dodgy. And the rooms facing the streets ( specially on the first floor) are supper noisy. Couldn't get any sleep at all. I asked for my room to be changed on my way out in the morning and they told me to pack my stuff and they would do it for me. When I returned to the hotel in the evening they told me they are full and it's impossible. Hopefully my stay was only for two nights. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

    « Convenience and value »

Incredibly helpful staff, convenient location just beside metro, easy walk to Les halles, Montorgueille, Republique areas Lots of choices for eating out nearby. Rooms well designed with space to unpack. Comfy beds, nice shower and Nuxe products. Recommended

« Clean hotel with great location »

Ideally located, half way between the Gare Du Nord and the sights. Only saw the ground floor of the hotel, our room faced onto the street but it was not too noisy. Breakfast expensive so picked up breakfast on the go from the supermarket opposite. Bar operated by night porter and so do not expect a good socialising or meeting place.

    « Great hotel »

Great small hotel. Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Modern. Does what it says on the tin! Location could be perceived as a bit odd. Seems a bit scruffy round and about and a strange amount of ladies of the night(!), but it's very conveniently situated. Some good restaurants close by, particularly in Marais. Would highly recommend for s short break in Paris.

    4
« Great hotel for the price »

Everything was really nice. The rooms were tiny, but were also explained in all of the reviews, so I knew what to expect. Previous reviews hit the nail on the head. The location is awesome (only a few kilometers from Notre Dame and the Louvre). The criticism woudl be that the breakfast is insanely expensive (I didn't buy it, bc it was so expensive). Also, the traffic outside is really loud, so it is tough to get a really restful night, despite how comfortable the bed is! Overall I would definitely recommend. The hotel was very nice and modern. Centrally located, so you are right in the middle of the action. Plenty of restaurants nearby and entertainment.

« HOTEL WITH VERY SERIOUS HYGIENE ISSUES !!! »

We had a very unpleasant stay and we believe the experiences we had is unacceptable to everyone, not only us! We booked two rooms for three nights, check in on 19th Feb 2016, check out on 22nd Feb 2016. On Second day, when we back to hotel at night We found the BIN BAG WITH THE RUBBISH INSIDE WERE ON THE DESK, ESPECIALLY ON TOP OF THE FRUITS WE LEAVE IN THE PLATE! How terrible! We think we are quite lucky because of the cleaner took this mistake by forgeting take the bin bag away when she change it to a new one, otherwise we will eat the fruits. This is the very serious hygiene issue to make us risen the complain, but there are few other issues we found in three days, eg, dirty mop left for TWO DAYS on the table of my friends' room; cups leave on the table without cleaning; no one looks after the canteen downstairs, and leave the kitchen unlocked and with the food inside. When we raise the issues to the front desk manager, he has no sense about how serious it is, he keep explain to us he will ask the cleaning lady why she forgot take the Bin bag away after she change it. And we need to explain to him we will accept this mistake if she only forget the bin bag in the room, but we cannot accept she leave it on the table, it doesn't really matter whether there has fruits or not. And we did request to see the hotel manager, but she refused to see us, only ask us to send her a email and we did see her sit in the office when the front desk manager spoken to her. The conclusion are: 1, The hotel has very serious hygiene issues, as well as healthy and safety issues. 2, The hotel management is weak and not helpful; 3, Best Western Group doesn't have basic training, management and monitoring system in place, not a reliable chained-brand hotel at all! We are not going to stay in any of the Best Western hotel at all in the future!

    « Few days away! »

This was mine and my boyfriends first visit to Paris which we have very much enjoyed! We stayed in a best western hotel in Amsterdam that's why this hotel was one of our first choices. Hotel was spotless and lovely reception area. Rooms are small but we loved ours, very cosy and modern. It is very noisy, we was on the top floor but it is situated on a main road. Didn't try breakfast at the hotel so can't comment. All the different attractions in Paris are quite a distance from each other so having the tube station right over the road was ideal to visit all the different places. There's also a small restaurant straight over the road called Le Central which we would definitely recommended. Had a lovely stay and would definitely return again.

« Very good, with some minor problems. »

The hotel is very good as location and quality/price ratio. The staff is fantastic They are all very kind and ready to assit you in all possible ways. They successfully solved a few problems with our shuttle service from the airport, and immediately provided a high level solution. The only problem I had was related to the moquette, which I absolutely don't like. When they clean the room, if they put the stuff on the moquette, the result will bebhaving hairs and other dirt on your bed, which is actually quite annoying. So the bed will not be perfectly clean. Anyhow the room is large and very nice. In general I would absolutely suggest this hotel for any type of stay, both for business, leisure or romantic trip to Paris. My vote is 9.

« Great place to explore Paris »

We originally had an airbnb booked which wasn't as expected so booked this hotel last minute. This turned out great as it's a perfect spot to explore the city. Everything is in easy walking distance and there are great restaurants all around. The hotel itself has great staff and comfy beds - although the rooms are quite small (to be expected for Paris). Would stay here again.

« just stay here! its fab! »

great hotel. friendly receptionist on arrival (and throughout!) really made a difference. the hotel is bright, cheerful, fresh, clean. it all seems quite new. the room is on the small side but plenty adequate. fab walk in shower! mini bar so you have a fridge! there is a late night mini market out the hotel to the left for drinks all night. to the right out the hotel is a metro link and a tabac for cheap coffees etc and a supermarket for essentials (we bought in brekkie stuff as its upwards of 12 euro each for coffee and bun) hotel lets you print boarding cards off downstairs. there was a pleasant looking breakfast room but we didnt use it. close to lots of great bars and restaurants -head out to the left to rue bombardes off to the left is the cheapest greek/italian restaurant ever. gorgeous food!the bed was comfy, lots of pillows , tv, nicely done, top stay would go back! easy to get about to whole of paris from here.

« Pretty Good Hotel AWFUL WIFI CONNECTION »

Stayed here during New Years. Nice neighbourhood, convenient location with Strasbourg-St.Denis Metro station steps away from the hotel. We had an Execetuvie Room which was still pretty small so I cant even imagine what the standard room was like... The wifi connection in our room was awful! Eventhough it's a pretty good hotel stay away from it if you require a fast and constant internet connection.

« Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards »

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. Great location as it is near two metro station. It's about a 20 minute walk to the Louvre from the hotel as well. The breakfast is overpriced so I would eat out rather than at the hotel.

« The right combination of location, price and quality »

Among the hotels of this range, that usually owned small and old rooms, with all the implications... the best western has renewed rooms and somehow bigger than usual for the center of Paris. since I am familiar with the Best western Brand from other countries, they hold a very good standard.

« no hair dryer and dirty linen not a 4 star »

we checked in for two rooms around 1pm. The very unfriendly front desk said room is not ready and come back in 1 hour. we went ate came back sitting in the loby. notice several people come in checked in and got a key. after sitting there for 1/2 hr. Went up to the desk and asked if our room was ready. The front desk said yes, just got ready. Gave us the first floor, when i asked if we could move a little higher, I was told "everyone wants higher rooms. No, with an attitude . I asked to add my best Western card number, I was told "no" you did not book thru us and you can't get points with a tone;. We got the keys went to the room. The room is small, nicely decorated by does not have a hair dryer. This is a 4 star hotel!! It was hot, we could not open the window because of the location and the street noise, so my wife removed the sheet from the comforter and we noticed a dark spot.. it was dry, it's an old stain and looked to be blood. They seemed to have washed the sheet, but not the comforter. Next morning at checkout i informed the front deask and showed a picture to the two people at the front desk. they did not care.. The reception desk lady and the lady that sits in the little office next to the desk saw the pictures and neither cared. The receptionist gave me my receipt. We left. this hotel is near a corner with bars and prostitutes. It is not in the best spot. what is more unacceptable is the unfriendly reception and the dry bad attitude. This not a 4 star hotel. 3 start is too good.

    « Chic Hotel »

This is a very chic boutique hotel, which gets the balance just right. Some boutique hotels in the chain look more cheesy and a little tacky, but this is definitely a higher grade. The evening receptionist is very patient, calm and helpful. The executive room had a balcony overlooking the main street which had a lively buzz. But the soundproofed room was peaceful and without any disturbance. It is situated close to a metro station, shops and restaurants. So an ideal venue for anyone who wants to be close to everything the city centre has to offer.

« Not your average Best Western! »

A gem! The hotel has had a recent complete renovation and our room had many quality touches and showed great use of space. My wife and I enjoyed the busy but safe central location with restaurants, culture, history and loads of shopping nearby - including a supermarket for the best prices on wine, cheese and other happy hour ingredients. Also, literally 30 seconds to the metro! As with most Paris hotels, our room was small but there were so many positives including very comfortable beds, we were thrilled. Staff were courteous, personable and very helpful. A bit pricier than some, but worth it if you want quality and location. No hesitation in recommending.

The room was very small but well thought through. No space was lost. It was well decorated (modern style) and well appointed as long as you don't have loads of suitcases. Very clean too and good breakfast. I would stay there again.

    « Great bathroom »

Booked the executive twin room which was slightly bigger. I always look for hotels with modern bathrooms to gauge it's worth :) Bathroom was very modern with Nuxe shower gel/shampoo/lotion. Shower has separate rain shower and handheld shower. Other amenities not available but can request it from reception. Comfy fluffy slippers and bathrobe were provided. Stayed in room 32 which has a nice corner view. Room relatively quiet for street view room. When you open the door you walk right into the bed. Guess being an older building, space is limited. Would be good if they installed those safety chains/locks on the door for added security. Checkin reception was wonderful - Mr. Amir (apologies for misspellings) was very friendly / helpful. However checkout left us feeling unwelcomed to return. He told us we owed €4.96 for tax which we paid but there was no thankyou or anything. I looked at him waiting for him to tell us if all was set. He just blankly looked at us and didn't say a word. I thanked him (I probably shouldn't have!) and turned to leave. Shouldn't he have thanked us instead for being paying guests?! Afterall he's in the hospitality business. Overall despite that one thing, hotel is clean, newly renovated and near metro. Plenty of supermarkets nearby too.

« Cute, but no good for business travel »

The real game-breaker here is that the wifi is consistently horrible. It's impossible to do any work from your room. The rooms are also extremely small - barely larger in any direction than a queen size bed. It is otherwise nice and comfortable but really not somewhere I'll stay again.

It is a fine area with the Grand Boulevards and interesting side streets. The hotel is well situated. The standard rooms i tried were fine with double glazed french doors towards the boulvard. A good breakfast and coffee. The service also fine. Recommendable.

    « Excellent Hotel »

The hotel has been recently renovated and is now a 4 star. I booked through the hotel website and we had a very nicely decorated street facing room on the 2nd floor with a small balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had large thick fluffy towels and Nuxe products. Wifi was good.We had breakfast included in the rate, and this was served downstairs. We enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay here again.

« Small, boutique hotel, handy location and price »

Would recommend. Good location. Room smaller than expected, wifi slow, corridor smelt a bit! But overall good - stylish, near metro stop, friendly staff There were lots of people hanging around on the street in the nearby area - so that was a minor worry - and the shower was so powerful you couldnt use it full strength or it flooded the enclosure!

« Friendly staff and clean, nice room »

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in May 2015. We were unsure how this hotel would be as there were mixed reviews, but overall we were happy with the stay. The manager kindly reduced the price for us before we even arrived. I had booked on a best price guarantee but then a few weeks later found they had reduced it considerably. After a member of staff initially saying the price would not be matched, I received a further email from the manager saying the price would be reduced. When we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the overall look of the hotel was very nice. It was small but the outside was nicely presented and the lobby area was well decorated. The room was small as to be expected in Paris, maybe a little smaller than it looked online but no issue. If you were staying more than a couple of days you may want a larger room but for a short stay it has everything you need. The shower room was great, very clean and a good shower which is always a bonus! The bed was comfy. We were at the back of the hotel which looked out onto other buildings so maybe request a room at the front of the hotel. The breakfast was ok, fairly limited selection and the waitress bought the ham and cheese around so you could only have one slice of each, but there was scrambled egg, pastries and other items which made up for this. There were 2 members of staff which weren't particularly friendly, but the other 2 were very friendly and helpful which more than made up for this. We chose the Bastille area as we were visiting Paris to go to a gig at the Bataclan. This was a 10 minute walk away which was perfect for us. There are a few restaurants around and some nice shops to browse. We ate at a burger bar on the main shopping street which was lovely. We uses the metro to get everywhere, and because there were 2 stations on 2 different lines located a 5 minute walk from the hotel it was easy to get to most places. We went to the Moulin Rouge for an evening and this took quite a while to get to but we were expecting that. The hotel staff told us the best way to get there and it was easy enough.

    « 24-hr layover in Paris »

Had to spend one additional nigh in Paris because of a taxi's strike and we picked this hotel because of the location and the rate. It met all our expectations as the location is perfect (for 2 min walking distance from metro, plenty of bars + restaurants and great for shopping). The hotel is modern yet respectful of the historical side of the building, the breakfast served downstairs was good and service very professional. Rooms are quite small (hello, it's Paris) but the bathroom was large and super clean. Highly recommended for a short stay.

    « An Oasis »

I found this hotel last minute when I needed to leave an awful hotel I booked before. It was just what I needed to rescue my last few days in Paris. The hotel was recently remodeled with bright and tasteful colors. The room was small but was very well done. There was a desk and chair, another huge sitting chair, decent closet and neat bathroom with shower. I liked the bedding and furnishings which included a mini bar and an ipod dock. My room was on the top floor and offered a window that open to show some of the Parisan rooftops. It was comfortable, the staff helpful and location is central between two train stations one only steps away that can connect to the airport line easily. I will am likely to stay here on my next trip to Paris for the comfort, convenience and affordability.

    « Modern and clean »

Stayed three nights and was very impressed with the updated clean rooms! Modern furniture, comfortable bed, nice balcony and fresh bathroom. Coffee maker in room, however make sure you get the coffee replenished every day. The room was small but this is Paris so I don't expect anything else. Very impressed with Francoise at the front desk - very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again!
