"Accueil et séjour au top"

User 05/11/2019

We've been planning to visit paris for the 3rd Time and this place since we were There. We were not disappointed. The interior of the Hotel is great and clean as usual. You can see the great welcome of Idir as always and enjoy the unique smile. The exterior is also very beautiful like all parisian building. we particularly enjoyed the bus ride to the city for an open tour. Very Nice continental breakfast, very clean room. I'll comeback to best western everytime when visiting paris.

Recently, we've spent 3 nights in this hotel. I'm not satisfied globally speaking vs. its 4 stars classification. We had a very small room ( I know in Paris it's standard ) & the bed is comfortable . The voice isolation is NOK =noisy. They haven't parking ( close to this hotel the public parking is extremelly expensive ) . Before the hotel , there is nither a temporary parking place if You arive by own car . The breakfast is good (underground ). The hotel is well situated vs. Louvre , .

Enjoyed my stay in the hotel. It was clean, comfortable and the staff welcoming. The location was good being close to the shops and restaurants and of course to the Marais. A 15-20 minute pleasant walk in a southerly direction will take one to the river.

"Awesome last minute accommodations"

User 13/10/2019

We ended up staying here super last minute after our Air BnB ghosted us. We were super worried considering we were a group of 5 (including a 3 year old). We called and reserved a room. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. Our room was clean, breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was right next to the metro. In hindsight I would have just booked this hotel in the first place and I do plan on staying here during our next Paris trip.

"It is NOT a 4 star hotel. Tiny, uncomfortable and in a bad neighborhood"

1
cleaningbee, Chicago, Illinois 30/09/2019

It is NOT a four star hotel. Please see the attached pictures it showed 4 stars in 2015. I did not book this hotel. I ended up with this hotel since booked a different 4 star hotel from Priceline and a night before we came to Paris, Priceline emailed us stated that they could fulfill their commitments as followed: Thank you for using Priceline.com for your recent hotel reservation. Our records indicate that your reservation for request number (yyyyyyxxxxx) was booked at the Ac Hotel By Marriott Paris Porte Maillot. Ac Hotel By Marriott Paris Porte Maillot has informed us that they will not be able to accommodate your hotel reservation. We understand this is an inconvenience and we are dedicated to finding you another suitable option. We were promised that this hotel was the same as the Marriott. This is 100% not true. The front desk staff is not helpful. Nobody would help us to bring our bags up to our rooms. The room where the bags were stored for guests that came before 2 pm was a mess. The cleaning staff was in the hallway and we could not pass them to go to our room that how tiny it is. If fire happzit would be a disaster. Our rooms smelled and were dirty. They were very tiny. If you close the bathroom door then you cannot open the shower door. Many questionable characters just hang around the hotel and urinate in the alley. This is definitely not a 4 star hotel. There were drunk people around 6 am since many bars were nearby. We would never choose this hotel.

"Great Hotel and Great People"

LelandS473, Birmingham, Alabama 27/09/2019

My husband and I took an Uber from the airport and were exhausted from traveling. Unfortunately, the center of Paris is closed to vehicles generally on the fourth Sunday of the month. We had to walk with our suitcases, in the rain, to the hotel. The manager (person who checked us in) was so nice and upgraded our room. The breakfast was good too. We loved the area with a great market across the street. We walked to the Louvre and St. Chapelle and if we had stayed longer, we could have walked to the Eiffel Tower. Great hotel!

"Great location"

The room was spacious and was on a corner with a balcony .Bed super comfortable .Receptionist v attentive .Nothing was too much trouble .We booked room 56 and can recommend it .Thank you for a great stay .

"Excellent Location"

User 19/09/2019

At check in I was given a room which was already occupied.Another issue was a (false) fire alarm at 23:30.I do not know the internal procedures but very strange a reception clerck can give clearance. for this. Very clean & nice rooms.Good breakfast at reasonable price.Metro station just aorund the corner and lots of bars/restaurants in the area.

"Everything OK"

JJWVD, The Hague, The Netherlands 18/09/2019

Rooms are clean and just fine for a 2-night stay. Would recommend the Express-breakfast (7 euro). Very friendly staff. Check out could be more efficient. Lots of paperwork. Walking distance from Gare du Nord.

"Great Location / Comfortable Bed"

5
Charles W, Los Gatos, California 18/09/2019

Staff was super friendly. Room was small but bed was very comfortable. Location was great - access to multiple metro lines just around the corner and lots of restaurants and shopping close by. Would stay there again.

Jet67186458636, Aalborg, Denmark 09/09/2019

The room with balcony was ok, but nothing special and the service in the lobby could have been better. I have been on many Best Western Plus Hotels with higher quality and higher service levels around Europe. Normally when holding a Best Western Diamond Select card level, you will always get a free upgrade when booking your stay in time but unfortunately not on this hotel.

"Good location, comfortable bed and pleasing service "

4
SLG1971, Southampton, United Kingdom 04/09/2019

My colleagues have stayed here a few times and seem to like it, so I trusted them. It's 4 stops on the Metro from Gare du Nord and about 100m from the Strasbourg-St Denis Station. So ease of access ... tick It's also around 20/25 minutes walk down Boulevard de Sébastopol to the river for tourist time and the area has a plethora of restaurants to choose from. The reception is compact, the lounge / bar small, but the honesty bar concept is good ... if poorly stocked. Breakfast is also limited in terms of choice but there was sufficient to start a busy day The room, although small was very comfortable and clean and that's hugely important in my book. There is a gym but I didn't visit it this time. Overall, I agree with my colleagues and think it's one of the better hotels I've stayed in on visits to Paris.

"Would recommend!"

5
mcastellanos03, Chicago, Illinois 02/09/2019

Lovely room and friendly staff. Close walk to Notre Dame and the Sienne. Be careful walking towards the Gare du Nord train station. One wrong turn and you're likely to walk into a storm of unwanted street peddlers. Walk the opposite direction toward the touristy areas and there were zero issues with the location.

"Nice hotel but unfortunate leaking ceiling"

3
User 30/08/2019

The hotel was comfortable and nice but the second night we were there, the ceiling near the AC unit leaked heavily for 20 minutes soaking the walls and floor. The reception said they couldn't leave the front desk to help us so we had to clean up ourselves and just asked for more towels. There was no other room available so we slept in the damp, dripping room. The next morning we were offered 10% off of one night and free breakfast which didn't seem adequate for the disruption to our stay. I know it was a freak occurrence but the reaction from staff didn't make me feel valued as a customer as they seemed to want to give me as little as possible and couldn't help much in the moment when we needed them.

Well communicated, from this area you can reach not only de center of Paris but also very well situated to reach other areas. Very nice people and attention and super clean and tidy. Highly recommendable.

Very good hotel, clean tidy and well run with very friendly and efficient staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We cycled in and they made sure our bikes were secured and ready for us when we left

"Nice Hotel to Stay"

My family and I stayed for 2 nights. The service was excellent. Room was clean, nice and comfortable. The Paris metro was very close. WiFi was good but we were limited to 3 devices but this was not a major problem. I would recommend this Hotel.

"short stay in Paris"

5
Stephen W, Fareham, United Kingdom 15/08/2019

Chose this hotel as it was a Best Western whish I like. Great price for the location. Very nice clean room. The Standard room we had was perfect for us although some have said they are a bit small. We were very happy with the room and faculties. The staff were very helpful and keen to ensure we had a great stay which we did. The only downside which was outside of the control of the hotel, was the road works outside, which the French appear to do from 10pm to 3am. Our room was at the front so for light sleepers ask for a room at the rear. I slept through it as the bed was very comfortable. Happy to recommend. We do not have breakfast so cannot comment but looked good.

"A great hotel in a convenient neighborhood"

4
User 14/08/2019

I found the hotel room a bit larger than ones I usually stay in Tokyo, but hey, this is Paris and the property is located very close to the North and East stations as well as less than a block away from a local subway station, which makes it an ideal base to explore the city and beyond. The room itself is very clean and surprisingly quiet considering it sits right on the busy Sevastopol Boulevard. There are tons of places to eat (and people-watch) around it, too.

"Good base to explore all of Paris."

4
michaellC7308WQ, Kingston-upon-Hull, United Kingdom 04/08/2019

Easy access from Gare de Nord, with a Metro Station 1 min walk away. Very friendly and helpful staff. Lovely breakfast and very nice bathroom/shower. Air conditioning is excellent and this was so important in July/August.

"Great"

5
User 04/08/2019

Great spot not in a tourist area, but only a 45 minute walk to major Paris sights. Comfortable room, clean, English-speaking front desk staff, good value for the money, lovely AC during the heatwave! Restaurants, Monoprix, bakery all within a block. Loved my little balcony.

"good value for money paid"

4
User 31/07/2019

The room is very well furnished & clean. Air-conditioned, which was very important during my stay in July. Equiped with a mini-frig. Many thanks for all the staff for keeping the place quiet & tranquil in the middle of the busy Paris.

We had a 2 night stay at this hotel. It was very clean, beds were most comfortable and the front desk gal Charline was most helpful and accommodating. I would definitely recommend staying here as the location and price were just right!

"Excellent Location For Exploring Paris"

5
User 10/07/2019

This hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and the location is great for subway access around Paris. There is no place to sit and people watch but you will not want to sit around anyway. The breakfast is terrible but there are many great local restaurants nearby. I will use this same hotel when I return.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Sir or Madam, It is great that you enjoyed your stay with us and appreciated the cleanliness of our rooms, the friendliness of our team and the location. During your next stay, I would be very pleased to meet you and understand why you have mixed feelings about our breakfast and how we can imporve it. We have in the past year tripled the size of the buffet, added a muesli bar, a fruit bar and partnered with Kusmi for a great selection of teas. I look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Kind regards, Arthur

Nice small hotel with pretty rooms and welcoming staff. A place to feel "at home". Good location, easy to reach metro. We have seen several hotels in Paris and feel here really well. We come back since several years.

divinetogether, Amsterdam, The Netherlands 05/07/2019

It's a small hotel, few rooms, which are tiny but pretty and breakfast used to be served. I think not anymore. Staff is bare, amenities are good and life is just fine coz it's located at the centre of most things in walkable distance

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for having stayed with us at the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. It is a pleasure to see that you enjoyed both our location and our amenities. Hotel with a great location, friendly staff, impeccable cleanliness and good quality/quantity breakfast. I recommend this hotel to those who want to spend a nice holiday in the center of Paris, with the possibility of quickly reaching the main attractions, located near the hotel, or a short distance away by metro!

User 23/06/2019

Maybe it was bad timing for me but the elevator didn't work for a day and the front door also. Room was a bit small but ok for one person for a business trip. The room was clean. People were nice and friendly. But the room was expensive maybe because of the Paris Air Show and the Fashion Week.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Andrew, Thank you for your message. Yes, unfortunately we had one day where both the elevator and the automatic front door stopped working at the same time. Thankfully the maintenance teams were able to repair both very quickly and they are both working fine. Concerning the rates, they may indeed vary depending on the dates. This year, the Paris Fashion Week and the Paris Air Show were on at the same time so we were really on the high season during that time. I hope we will have the pleasure to welcome you back very soon. Kind regards, Arthur

"Excellent Service!"

TriptopiaAlana, Windermere, Florida 18/06/2019

Great hotel with great amenities in a great location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Small but beautiful room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed. Not much storage space in room or bath but it's still worth it and we are very picky. The staff couldn't be more helpful. Special thanks to Zeineb, Vernon, Charline, Idir, and Guillermo for their incredibly kind service.

"Wonderful friendly hotel in the heart of Paris!"

5
User 17/06/2019

A wonderful friendly hotel in a fabulously convenient location, a 1 minute walk from the Metro, only 4 stops, around 5 minutes into the heart of Paris. Easily within walking distance but my husband has limited walking ability so it was a godsend for us. Lots of shops and quality restaurants, bars and fast-food nearby for quick snacks. Our room was small but well equipped, with a balcony outside the fully functional french windows, we had tea and coffee making facilities, and a mini bar. The bathroom was superb, lovely new fittings, and a rainfall shower with lashings of endless hot water. The Nuxe toiletries gave a luxurious finish, and a proper plug in hair dryer, as opposed to the fitted dryers which are no good for styling.. was most welcome. There were sumptuous huge soft and spotless fluffy white towels to wrap yourself in, and complimentary slippers. The bed was King sized, with sparkling white linen and huge plump pillows and supremely comfortable thanks to the mattress toppers. So,housekeeping are excellent and extremely diligent in their duties. We had some difficulties with our airline boarding passes, swiftly resolved by Vernon on the desk who was more than happy to help us out, and was the most charming and friendly concierge we've ever dealt with! Thank you Vernon for your help. And service with a beautiful smile from Charline, in fact all the front of house staff who made our stay in Paris so special. Thank you to you all! And last but not least, the hotel bar. Help yourself, and write it down. An honesty bar in Paris! I noticed there was an iPad on the bar so you could tune into your own music too. A nice friendly touch. We didn't do the breakfast as we are late sleepers, but the restaurant looked lovely. This hotel is a like visiting good friends, and we will definitely be returning. The front desk was manned 24 hours a day.

"Clean, convenient, great staff"

5
WillingWanderer652, Bali, Indonesia 14/06/2019

I reserved an executive room with balcony for two nights. Hotel staff did not get my request for twin bed arrangement (vs double bed), however, they were kind enough to change the room into this configuration upon our arrival. The room was great—clean and modern. Lighting was interesting, built into the nightstand. Bathroom was sparkling! Nice decor, balcony was a nice feature, however it opened up onto a busy street, so factor in a little more noise if you open up the doors in this type of room. Balcony had a little bistro set for coffee and people watching. Room came with a Nespresso machine which made delicious coffee. Staff was prompt with bringing coffee supplies, since they only supplied one coffee pod upon arrival. Room had a minibar and refrigerator, and a safe. Temperature was easy to control and regulated well. Staff was very helpful throughout our stay. Location was great for access to metro, bus, and taxis. I bought the day pass for two days and was able to get to all the sights in the city with ease. There are many restaurants in the area and front desk can give you recommendations. Activity that I really enjoyed was the Night Tour of Paris, many companies offer this, it was really captivating to see the Eiffel Tower lit up against the night sky!

"The room literally stinks of piss"

1
User 14/06/2019

So, the service was good and the breakfast was good too. When we went to the room, I felt it smelt of dog piss. Thought it was just me, and I opened the windows. But hours later it kept stinking. Laying in bed at night I would literally wake up by the smell. So, I went on my knees, and smelled to the carped - it stinks so much that I threw up. It’s was a nightmare really so I had to breathe from my mouth. The picture you see of the rooms makes it look big. The rooms are so small that there is no place to put the lougage - er had to put it in the bathroom. I don’t mind sleeping in small rooms. But don’t make the rooms look bigger than they actually are. After the smell I will never ever stay at your hotel again - I will not take the chance. Hope you will change the carpet

"Great First Trip To Paris"

5
sunmomm, orlando fl 14/06/2019

My sisters and I arrived on Saturday for a long weekend in Paris after visiting Amsterdam. This hotel was wonderful about re-arranging our rooms with one bed to twin beds. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled. The front desk staff were helpful in booking tours and calling taxis for us. The metro is close by but I would advise against walking to or from the station late at night. Our room had a nice little balcony and a refrigerator and coffee maker. I did see a sign regarding breakfast however I did not see any breakfast service as we went to a cafe nearby. Great hotel, clean, comfortable, friendly and helpful staff who spoke English.

"Great hotel with an extremely close by Metro station"

5
User 04/06/2019

My husband and I stayed at the hotel on May 2019 - and had a great time! Very clean, very comfortable bed, very close to a metro station, good service. The location itself is so-so. However - I still warmly recommend it!!!

Ambassador237851, Manchester, United Kingdom 27/05/2019

Very good hotel that is in a great location close to many restaurants and bars. 100m from a Metro 4 station so easy to get about but is also only 60mins walk to Eiffel Tower. We had a top floor room with good views however the sloping ceiling made it feel cramped.

Staff is very attentive, detail-oriented and always willing to help with questions and suggestions. The stay was smooth and seem less. It was my friends and I's first stay in Paris and the hotel made us fit right in.

This hotel was excellent, staff very helpful and friendly and location superb. If I was to fault it at all it would only be that the rooms were very small but at the end of the day I wasn't there to stay in my room :-)

"Not as Expected"

3
Petr B, London, United Kingdom 15/05/2019

My original room wasn't ready even two hours after the check-in time and as I had meeting to attend I had to settle for alternative. Which wasn't to my expectations - for example shower head wasn't working properly, bed sheets were pretty ruff as well, TV turned facing the wall etc. (Room 106 I think). The staff at reception was nice - but unfortunately if you pay your rate you want your “product”. Luckily for me it was only one night. Not sure I would return.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Petr, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I would like to sincerely apologize for not having been able to meet your expectations. It would be a pleasure for me to have a direct exchange with you in order to better understand what happened and make the necessary adjustements. We try to always give the best service possible and are eager to improve. I hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you back. Kind regards, Arthur

"Great Stay!"

5
mztiftif, Sacramento, California 10/05/2019

This hotel was very convenient located near the metro to go to different districts of Paris. The staff was very courteous and friendly. The room itself is small, but is okay for two people. The bathroom was missing counter spaces and is a corner shower stall for my room. The windows were well insulated to avoid noises from outside. Only thing missing is a laundry machine to do your own wash, but they do have service for it. I would stay here again.

"Lovely place"

5
deanang3, Melbourne, Australia 07/05/2019

We stayed here 2 nights on our arrival from Melbourne. Rooms are comfortable and clean as with most major cities around the world they are smaller but this doesn't create any issues when there is so much to explore outside. Staff were very friendly and helpful especially when our French is very limited. Would stay again

"Very good Hotel!"

"VERY GOOD."

5
nadia h, Milan, Italy 06/05/2019

It is a very nice place. The rooms are cleaned and the team is very nice. It is a good address in Paris, even for business travels. I had a chance to find a very good price too. I am totally satisfied and will book this hotel again on my next trip to Paris.

"Great for the price."

5
User 04/05/2019

My room was just the right size, enough for 1-2 people. Had a fabulous street view. Customer service was top notch. Even though I tried to speak French they noted I was an English speaker so spoke to me in English with no judgement. The locations is fabulous! Close to the trains and an easy walk to the river.

Stayed one night at the best Western Premier Marais Grands--the room was clean and comfortable, the front desk staff were very helpful. Enjoyed my stay very much and would recommend. This hotel is very convenient to the Metro.

"Great Stay and Convenient Location!"

5
User 30/04/2019

I only needed one night stay for the end of my Paris trip and Best Western Marais Grands Boulevard. While not exactly what I would consider Les Marais district, this hotel is incredibly convenient. Within 50 steps from the front door you can find La Central brasserie which was very good French casual dining and atmosphere, the Sebastopol -St. Denis Metro stop, the Monoprix grocery/clothing/home goods store and McDonalds if you're in the mood for a late night snack or just plain desperate. The staff was extremely pleasant, friendly and accommodating (great English speakers too) and the rooms were newly and beautifully renovated. I think this hotel is an amazing value for the price. I'm definitely planning on coming back here. Thanks for a great stay.

"Noisy - book somewhere else if you want to sleep"

1
User 29/04/2019

Awful sound isolation plus unfriendly staff made our stay very uncomfortable. The hotel is on an awfully busy street so it's pretty much impossible to sleep without earplugs. Heading north will also lead you into some not so lovely neighborhoods. The hotel says it's in the “Grand Marais” which means not the Marais you are expecting. The staff was so rude, including the cleaning coordinator screaming and humiliating maids for no reason in front of guests. Avoid it.

"Great location"

4
User 29/04/2019

The hotel is within walking distance of the metro and there are lots of food options nearby. The staff is also really friendly and helpful. The room is cozy, I had a great time and definitely recommend it.

"Nice rooms"

5
girigamba, Warsaw, Indiana 22/04/2019

This hotel is in a part of town that is a bit sketchy/seedy, however is convenient to the train stations and the local tourist scene. I was pleasantly surprised by the updated room on the first floor- very comfortable and well-appointed. Two full open-able windows allowed me to enjoy the city vibe late at night. I would definitely stay here again.

"Good value, central location"

3
User 19/04/2019

Booked for a short business trip with a tight budget. Room was clean, small (but average for Europe). Hotel staff was friendly. Easy location near metro. It was a bit noisy at night with restaurants nearby, but would stay here again without hesitation. It's not a fancy left bank boutique hotel, but who cares? You're in Paris!

"Good value in good location"

5
David S, London, United Kingdom 15/04/2019

Enjoyed 2 night weekend break here. Felt like we got better value than in other areas of Paris whilst still being in central area. About 15-20 min walk down to the Seine and onto Michel. Rooms were modern and clean and about the amount of space you usually get in Paris.

"Great location. Very clean, but very small room. Insufficiently trained staff for a 4 star Hotel."

3
MiamiLucien, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 11/04/2019

I enjoyed the location. The property is very centrally located. Very short walk to 2 metro stations. The staff member who checked me in was very friendly and gave me unsolicited useful information which I appreciated. Later on, he was very helpful when it came to directing me to the nearest barber shop. My second interaction with the front desk staff wasn't that pleasant. I came down to the lobby in my pajamas to request an extension of my stay and found the same gentleman who checked me in 2 days before talking to his lady colleague. Although I was standing in front of them, they carried on their conversation and did not offer assistance for a good 6 to 7 minutes. I was disappointed by this basic lack of customer service especially since I was the only guest in the lobby at the time. Unprofessional to say the least... My 3rd interaction with the front desk staff was the next day in the evening as I attempted to make a call using the landline in the room. I had difficulty making the call, so I called the front desk for further instruction and was promised a call back to no avail... Finally, at least on 2 occasions, the cleaning staff attempted to enter my room without even knocking on the door!

The hotel was suberb! Amazing location! Amazing staff! We felt like kings! I will go back there every time! Thanks again to the staff that made this experience the best time i ever had in Paris! Ps: The wine concept is soooo cool!

this was my 3rd stay at this hotel, perfect location (many sights in walking distance of 20 - 45 minutes, metro stations, restaurants/bistrots, monporix across the street), room clean and modern (but, as always in Paris, small), everything in good shape and working, comfortable bed (and with windows closed a good nights sleep is possible despite busy street), good breakfast buffet, very friendly and helpful staff

"Great, central location to stay for a short Paris visit"

5
User 27/03/2019

This location is perfect if you want to be "in the center of Paris". A broad range of restaurants, shopping locations and the well-known tourist attractions are all in walking distance to the hotel. The room was very clean and modern, funtional equipped. Nice bathroom with spacious shower. As the hotel is located at the Boulvard de Sebastopol it of course is a bit noisy, but the central location easily compensates for this. Definitely a place to come back...!"!

I stayed in this hotel for the first time and can recommend it to everyone. It is an excellent hotel and the location is prime. It was very clean as were the areas of the hotel from reception to the rooms. Breakfast was absolutely amazing and were spoiled for choice. The staff were very polite and helpful especially Idir from the reception desk. I highly recommend a stay in this fabulous hotel and am personally looking forward to visiting again soon.

Unfortunately I didn't have the best experience when I've got there. The people staying in the room before me had smoked and the smell was disgusting. Because I've arrived relatively late to the hotel they didn't have any spare rooms to offer (or so they said) They've tried to spray something to get rid of the smell and they assure me that it will work but it didn't. I was travelling with my 70 year old mother so in the end I had to suck it up and sleep there. (that's the main reason of my score) Overall the hotel is nice and clean and the breakfast was good. The room I was staying was small but the decoration was nice.

kellyf745, Cincinnati, Ohio 06/03/2019

Bright and very clean rooms right next to my brother apartment. The area was 10 min walk to the EST train station and 20 minute train/bus to the center (Eiffel tower, ect.). There were lots of restaurant and bar options within walking distance. There was some noise on Friday/Saturday night but not enough to keep our daughter awake. I would stay here again.

There is not much to dislike about the hotel: good location, catchy interior and comfortable rooms with a nice shower. However, it lacks atmosphere. To me the hotel felt unpersonal and anonymous. Furthermore, the not-unfriendly staff was uninterested and had no intention to make me feel welcome. Hence, it's just not it.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Tony, Thank you for having stayed with us at the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards and shared your impressions on your stay. We have been working hard to create a cozy and comfortable atmosphere in the hotel with our new boutique area and it's parisian goodies, our tablette from which you can choose your own music, a change in furniture with our nice confortable XXL leather sofa...we will keep upgrading and make sure that the personnal touch be felt ! The team is usually great and love interacting with our guests, we will be even more attentive so that we be sure that we don't deliver a standard service feel. I hope that you will give us another chance to welcome you with a more personnal feel. Kind regards, Arthur

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Premier Marais Grand Boulevards. Everyone was very friendly and I was able to store my luggage there for the day. The hotel is at a prime location, with wonderful restaurants and grocery stores just around the corner. Our room was quite lovely, the A/C didn't work or we didn't know how to use it but the fresh air was wonderful.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Sir or Madam, It is great to read that you enjoyed a good time at the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. It is true the the location is great, a good starting place for exploring Paris. Concerning the air conditionning, it works perfectly well. The only thing is that it will only give you hot air in winter and cold air in summer. That may be why you were only able to have hot air and not cold. I hope that we will have the chance to welcome you again very soon. Kind regards, Arthur

We stayed just after Christmas and it was a lovely cosy stay. For us the location was spot on for being able to walk everywhere that we wanted to, as well as some good restaurants close by. The room was small but cosy, and for the price it was ideal. The bathroom was nice - great shower. Breakfast was good too, although the seating area was fairly small so we found that if you got down at the wrong time you might not be able to sit at a table straight away.

PI-Hospitality, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Guest, Thank you for choosing the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards for your Parisian stay. We are glad to hear that your stay with us was satisfactory. We found this hotel great for a 3 night stay. The location was great close to conveniences such as the metro, supermarket and restaurants. The wifi was great - fast and reliable and the room was extremely clean, with a nice view onto the street and surrounding buildings. The lift is incredibly small as most Parisian lifts - so make sure you pack lightly or you'll have a few trips to make. Overall great hotel - would stay again!

Great location, very close to a subway station. Walking distance to supermarkets, McDonalds, Starbucks, Restaurants, Notre Dame Cathedral and other attractions. Very friendly staffs. Room is ok, decent size, however the bathroom is designed to save space and the shower door is not functional, the water leaks to the bathroom. Housekeeping wasn't great too, they didn't replace the toilet paper and didn't clean the bathroom sink. Overall is a good hotel.

PI-Hospitality, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Karen, Thank you for choosing the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards for your stay. With a perfect location you will get a BW Premium hotel, with recently re-built rooms. The staff is service minded, even if there could be improvement in the staff at the breakfast (difficult to communicate and have an arrogant behavior). The concept of their ”honesty bar” is great.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Stefan, I am very happy to read that you liked our hotel and in particular the quality of the rooms and our "honesty bar". Dear Paul, It was a great pleasure to welcome you to the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. I am happy to read that you found that the hotel was nice and that our team is friendly. If I understand well, it seems that you would have appreciated a wider selection of hot items on the breakfast buffet. It would be great to be able to have your feedback directly and exchange on what you would have liked to have. It would greatly help us to improve our offer. We have in the last few weeks added more space to our buffet which is now three times as big as it used to be. We have upgraded many items with our muesli bar, fruit bar, Kusmi tea bar and our nice selection of French pastries. For the hot dishes we have bacon, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, sausages and possibility of making soft boiled eggs. I look forward to hearing back from you very soon and hope to welcome you back soon. Small rooms but clean. The most important thing for me. Excellent location. Right next to the metro station. But also If you have time walk around; small romantic cafes and restaurants with very good prices compared to other places we ve been in Paris. Safe neighborhood. When it comes to the staff they are all very frendly. Sad, i dont remember names. I made a mistake with my booking, i ve booked two twin beds instead of one big and when we went there for the check in they immediately prepared for us another room with one big bed. We ve really appreciated that since it was clearly my mistake when i did the booking online. Thank you all very much for your warm hospitality.

We had a great stay at Marais Grands. The hotel is centrally located within walking distance to many delicious restaurants, bakers, pastry shops and cheese mongers while also very close to Notre Dame and other tourist attractions. The staff was super friendly and gave us some great tips on where to buy delicious pastries (Du Pain et les idees) and go out to eat! The bed was really comfy, the room was quiet, and we had a balcony that we were able to enjoy a nice lunch comprised of french delicacies! 100% recommend!

EXCELLENCE is the one word that describes the BWP Grand Boulevard Marais for our 13 night stay from August 26-September 8, 2018. Reception Staff-On arrival and most mornings, we were greeted by the caring, helpful and action oriented front desk person, Elsa. After a long day of sight seeing , we were welcome back by a friendly warm smile from knowledgeable Foudhil. Denis turned our last night/morning in Paris into a positive memory and arranged a last moment taxi to CDG. Room-small but clean, perfect temperature and well equipped. I loved the large walk in shower and comfortable bed! In addition, we enjoyed the availability of fresh fruit, our room bar fridge was useful and access to the Hotel microwave made it just like home. Fast Wifi is always a win. Location-Safe and quiet area. Walking proximity to restaurants, bakery shops and grocery supplies. Steps away to the Metro station which we used everyday. Overall: Excellent due to the exceptional employees providing professional and friendly service. Arthur Merer: Thank you for creating a hospitality team that made our first time visit to Paris memorable. Please convey our thanks to these 3 extraordinarily valuable individuals that went the extra mile during our stay. It truly felt like family!

We had a lovely stay at this Paris hotel and despite having a room (with a balcony) overlooking the boulevard, it was quiet inside the room. The room was tiny, but clean and functional and there was plenty of hot water for the shower in the small bathroom. It is close to the Metro (which we used), and therefore convenient - across the street from a cafe and a grocery store. It was a good location for us to see much of Paris in 3 days. Thank you for the lovely stay, however it would have been nice to have some gluten free options for breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to others.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you so much for your kind recommendation. It is good to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and would be happy to come back. "Pleasantly surprised! Beautiful Hotel in Grand Boulevards"

5
sierrenade, Montreal, Canada 04/09/2018

I've stayed in Paris many times before and had come to expect that most of the time, hotels in Europe (especially in expensive cities like Paris), you have to pay a lot to get a decent room. Usually with Best Westerns, I expect 3-3.5* family style mid-range hotels so my expectations were not too high for this one. However - this is not your average Best Western! Centrally located and charmingly decorated, I was pleasantly surprised. When you enter the lobby, it feels like a boutique hotel. This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed at in Europe and for what we paid - it is a steal. Our standard room was surprisingly spacious compared to most European hotels and everything was recently renovated. The bathroom products were Nuxe! We even had a small balcony with a table where you could sit outside. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was clean with a good shower, the staff were pleasant and they allowed us to check in early. The only cons I would mention is that the hallways are not entirely sound proofed and there is only one elevator so it was a little slow. However, that's kind of to be expected for a boutique style hotel. Overall - great experience. Highly recommend.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review

The hotel is small but quaint and in a perfect location. The room was very clean and the hotel itself is very pretty. Exactly what I needed for my visit to Paris. However, the staff at this hotel really made my stay exceptional. Anyone who was working at the front desk was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. On more than one occasion, they went out of their way to help me manage my visit to Paris. The rest of the staff was also very polite and friendly. I commend Romain Tintillier, who manages the front desk for especially going out of his way to make me feel at home in a city far from my own. His good nature seemed to be mirrored by the rest of the staff who seemed to look up to him. I highly recommend staying at this hotel while visiting Paris, France.

The hotel is easy to find as just around the corner from the number 4/8/9 line so great location. friendly staff who were helpful, only snag was we were not informed that the breakfast was not included even though my partner thought he had prepaid for breakfast, so we were hit with a €60 bill plus the hotel tax at the end of the stay. the room was prefect, we were on the 5 floor so we had a balcony.great dual head shower plus nuxe goodies are supplies. nice touch with the coffee machine. monoprix is across the road so we did our juice/water shopping there instead of paying €4 from the honest bar or mini bar. breakfast was a small but full selection, they even had soya milk. Be aware that there are a few madams that hang out on the little road beside / across the road.

"Great hotel and staff! Central and 100ft to Metro #4"

5
Michelle D, Boston, Massachusetts 30/07/2018

This is a small, stylish hotel with very good staff and nice, clean (if a bit small) rooms. Spend a few extra dollars to upgrade to “executive” which is a two bed room (the double is one bed). Rooms on third floor are very nice with a nice view and quiet. The airco works well. There is a fully stocked honor bar off the modern lobby with ice machine and snacks/drinks. The breakfast is an upgraded continental with boiled and scrambled eggs, sausage or bacon. Coffee is very good and service is kind and quick. The location is an outstanding feature and it is 50 feet to the Metro 4 line stop Strasbourg-St Denis and you simply walk 100 feet to the second corner AGAINST ONE WAY TRAFFIC on Boulevard Sebastopol (direction AWAY from the LIDL visible on Sebastopol). Immediately at the corner by the Metro is a Monoprix with a good market and within 200 meters are bars, bistros and shops as well as a pharmacies and a Sephora. The Hotel is not very prominently marked outside so mind the directions above. The neighborhood is a little dicey looking upon first inspection but seemed quite safe and quiet once we were there a few days. Would definitely stay here again as the staff and facilities were very nice and the location was very convenient to reach any tourist sights.

Stuie O, Tralee 28/05/2018

Stayed here for two nights and was happy with the experience. I had read alot of reviews that warned me about the area, I found it fine. Did not feel uneasy or threatened in the area and we walked quite a bit of it. A big plus is that there is a metro stop less than 50 metres from the hotel. Rooms were on the smaller side but that didnt bother us. There was a docking station and a balcony that were nice perks to the room. The only strange thing about the room was the toilet and the shower/sink were in two different rooms in the hotel. Breakfast was nice but not a huge selection.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Stuie, It was a great pleasure to welcome you to the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. I am happy that you enjoyed our location in a vibrant area and just steps from the metro station with direct lines to all the major sites! So that you can prepare your next stay with us, we have both rooms where toilets are seperate from the bath room and rooms where they are in the same room. If you have a preference, let us know and we will make sure that you have which ever you prefer. We also have nice Executive rooms which you will surely find more spacious than our classic rooms. I hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Kind regards, Arthur

My sister and I stayed at this Best Western for a few days and it was perfect. The location is ideal with multiple restaurants and shops. It is also walking distance to the Louvre. The hotel reception (Priscilla) was the absolute best. She was warm and friendly and gave great recommendations for restaurants and activities. Pros: -Staff (Definitely most valuable asset of the hotel) -Location -Interior Design -Cleanliness -Breakfast Cons: -Hot water & AC stopped working one day for several hours, which was the worst timing for me since I so desperately needed to take a shower & the weather was so cold. -Rooms way too tiny -Mattress not the comfiest

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Aida, Thank you for having stayed with us at the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. It is great to read that our team made your stay with us that little more special, I'm sincerely sorry for the inconvenience caused by the hot water cut during your stay, it is something really exeptional which hopefuly only lasted a few hours in the afternoon. Concerning A/C, our system requires us to choose between A/C and heating. During your stay we were still on heating mode as temperatures were still a little fresh. We are now on A/C mode as summer is back so rooms will stay nice and fresh. I am very surprised concerning the matress, it is such a shame that we were not able to offer you the comfort that you were looking for. It is usually one of our strong points as we have recently changed all the matresses and added extra cushioning last year. I hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back soon. Reception staff so nice and friendly. Used hotel as base to explore Paris so cannot comment on hotel amenities except to say they have area for breakfast and bar. Hotel is spotless. Yep as other reviews state the rooms are small but didn't bother us as we were out and about. However, we were so lucky to have room with balcony on 5th floor overlooking Blvd San Sebastopol (which some people may find noisy) we enjoyed looking out and just mesmerised by amount of traffic!

We've never been in a more comfortable hotel in Paris. But this time we did at Best Western Marais GB. Everything about it was pretty well perfect. The public areas are impressive and the front entrance stones are just plain spectacular. Rooms Rooms were lovely and very clean. we upgraded to next level which was beautiful view of Paris with a balcony. Rooms are functional and clean and the hotel is well located All ingredients to make it a great hotel if only the sound proofing was better The hotel rooms all face a busy boulevard which makes it very noisy until 1am The hotel offers ear plugs though as a compensation .....

Dear Amine, It was a great pleasure to welcome you to the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. I am happy to read that you enjoyed our rooms and the quality of our location. It's true that we are on a busy boulevard and if all our rooms are equipped with double glazing, noise can sometimes still be heard. We hope that we will have the pleasure to welcome you back for your next trip to Paris. Kind regards, Arthur Mérer

Overall this is a nice hotel. Conveniently located right next to the metro, across be road form a supermarket and nearby to some busy nightlife options. Did notice the street behind the hotel seems a bit dodgy at night. The hotel has an ultra comfy bed and pillows, good sized room and nice bathroom. Fast WiFi. Our bathroom sink was clogged. The only downsides would be the rooms are not particularly soundproof so you can hear your loud neighbors. The staff also seemed rather smug and while helpful they were not accommodating. Overall a good hotel. Recommended if the price is right.

Dear Nickom, Thank you for having chosen the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards for your stay in Paris. We are happy that you enjoyed our location, Wifi and comfortable beds and that overall you would recommend our hotel. We arrived in Paris for an AirBnB which fell through. This Best Western was nearby so we walked in. From that moment on, we met the most professional and friendly staff, slept in very comfortable beds, enjoyed hot showers and a lovely breakfast. The front desk went above and beyond our expectations and I am very grateful to all of them, morning, afternoon and night. We also loved the breakfast staff. Five stars.

I can really recommend this hotel for you who want to discover the city and not spend so much time in the room. Room is really small but over all the hotel is cozy and clean. Breakfast not worth 16€ each and would recommend to eat breakfast at a small cafe, so many places near by. Really good that hotel is so close to metrostop.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Rosanna, I am really pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us and found our location to be a great base to visit Paris from. Concerning the breakfast, I have to admit I am quite surprised as we probably have the best quality price around, maybe we didn't communicate well on our different options. Our 16€ breakfast includes a full breakfast buffet with a variety of hot and cold dishes as well as hot drinks and juices. We also have an express breakfast for those who prefer a continental breakfast which is only 7€. As you mentionned there are of course also alot of great places around. In any case we thank you for recommending the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards and hope to welcome you back very soon. Kind regards, Arthur Mérer

I was in Paris to celebrate my 50th birthday, and wanted a comfortable and somewhat reasonably priced 4 star hotel. This place was so cute, so near the Metro, I liked everything except the twin beds. I had a room on the 6th floor, in the corner, and it had a great View of the city. Breakfast was quite reasonable also though I didn't really have the time to try it. The rooms were clean and very well decorated oh, I loved the lights and the bathroom was gorgeous though just a little small. The front desk was very pleasant and I loved the free little candies they had. My girlfriend wasn't crazy about the neighborhood but I really thought it had character and it was an easy walk to the Opera.

Nitish V, Goa, India 14/11/2017

We are from India and stayed at the hotel in the last week of October. We booked this hotel only by reading reviews and we were NOT dissapointed at all.... Location - The hotel is located in a decent area. The best part is that the Metro is just next door, so very convenient. Also there is super store across the road for your needs. The Notre Dame is within 20 minutes walking distance. There are also lots of cafes in the vicinity so a good place to stay. Room - The rooms are a little compact. Could have been a little bigger as with your luggage it becomes difficult to move around. But yes, the rooms are clean and well equipped. Breakfast - The breakfast spread was not elaborate but sufficient. But i guess this was a standard buffet what most European hotels offer. Staff - The best part of this hotel were the staff. All of them were very very courteous and helpful. We could ask them anything and they were always ready to help. I should mention Gulshah, Priscilla & Romain. There may be others , but we interacted with these three assets of your hotel. They are the stars of your hotel. Please do convey our wishes to them. Will recommend this hotel to others. Overall had a good stay.

We went here for a long weekend. Small rooms but very cosy and clean. Nice and friendly staff. It's a bit far to walk to the bigger attractions but there's a metro station just around the corner. Money well spent if you decide to spend some time in Paris.

Our kids booked this hotel for us for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. It was an excellent choice. The room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. I contacted the hotel a week before our trip for help in getting us to the hotel from the airport and Idir was very prompt and sent me directions for the subway. Idir was very helpful in helping us get around Paris. We can not say enough about all of the people that work the front desk from recommending cafe/restaurants to calling taxis for us to helping me connect to the WIFI. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

You never know when you book online but we really lucked out when we chose to stay at the Best Western Premier Marais Grand. This hotel is immaculately clean inside and out. Although the room was small by North American standard, this is Paris. The room was set up to be very functional, has a table and chair, bar fridge, armoire with space to hang your clothes and shelves, also a safe where you can lock your valuable. Great bathroom with spacious sink, toilet and a stand up shower. The bed we can't rave enough about it, it was like sleeping on a cloud. All the employees especially at the front desk are very professional and great people! Always smiling, helpful ensuring that all is well with the services and the quality of the room. We would like to thank Romain, Gullah, Ider, Priscilla and Denis for their excellent service and friendships. Also Zhore for looking after us each morning and providing us with an excellent breakfast buffet. The location is also ideal. The metro is less than a block away. Around the corner within a block there is a small grocery store, pharmacy, pastry shop, restaurants and lots of cafés. If you want to go about the city and not take the metro there is also the bus routes which are easily accessible. We'll definitely book a room there next time we are in Paris!

This hotel is very nice and well maintained. The rooms are rather tiny but that's to be expected. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area isn't bad but you do have to be rather careful at night like everywhere else in the city and the hotel is locked at night and they let you in when you approach so it's secure. It is very close to a main metro line that will take you in several different directions so you can get around quickly and it's very close to nice shopping and restaurants. Housekeeping was prompt they come in and make up your room quickly while you're away and replenish towels etc.. The one downfall I thought was the breakfast served. It is pricey at 16 Euros per person per day if you chose to eat at the hotel. Also the internet connection was in and out nearer the top floors of the hotel. Other than those small things I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again.

Dear Andrew, Thank you for having chosen the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards for your stay in Paris. We are happy to read that you would recommend our hotel and enjoyed both our service and our location. In addition to the full breakfast buffet at 16 euros, I don't know if you saw that we also offer an express breakfast for only 7 euros ( hot and cold drinks, pastries, bread and a fresh fruit). That can be a good option for your next stay. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Best regards, Arthur Mérer

Cannot recommend highly enough. If you are coming to PARIS for a holiday or stop over, this place is the answer. Do not bother looking anywhere else! Staff and service is beyond first class. IDIR at reception is there to make your stay comfortable and special. The hotel itself is very clean. It is an experience in itself. You will truly feel like you are staying in YOUR OWN HOUSE. The rooms are comfortable. We were upgraded to an executive which was simply the best room, tidy and clean carpet with a coffee set up and clean shower. Everything you want is available or arranged by the reception. Just book this place!

User 11/10/2017

Convenient for Gare du Nord and literally straight down the road from hotel to the Seine, Notre Dame and all of the other sights. Just off the main road the area is a bit seedy and a local red light area but there are some delightful bars and restaurants very close by. We arrived and were greeted by a lovely Turkish lady on reception who was very helpful in giving us tips on how to get around. Very much was less than thirty minutes easy walking. The hotel is fairly modern and looks like it has been recently refurbished. Our room was on the top floor overlooking the Main Street. Very much like an attic room with a sloping ceiling. Room was clean and well appointed but as compact as you would expect for a city centre hotel. Staff each day were helpful and friendly and offered help and assistance at every opportunity. Would come back.

The phone in the room rang around midnight every night. The air-conditioning did not work on the last night and the room was too hot to sleep comfortably. The only thing that is above average is the cleanliness and location. The room and services were average, because they were unable to resolve the issues. The sleep quality was bad because I was unable to sleep soundly.

Dear Sir, We thank you for having chosen the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards for your stay in Paris. We are happy to read that you enjoyed both our location and the cleanliness of our rooms. I understand your disapointment concerning the temperature in the room. Our air conditionning and heating system works perfectly well. We activate cool air in summer time and hot air in winter time. As nights are quite cold in october, we have switched to hot air. It is sometimes difficult to find the good moment to switch from one to another in mid seasons and we try and be attentive to what the majority of our guests request. I am sincerely sorry that you found it uncomfortable not to be able to have cool air during your stay. We look forward to welcoming you back very soon, please make sure to contact me directly so that I can make sure that the room temperature setting is made to your preference. Hotel room was nice and clean. Good shower stream and blowdryer. Very close to a metro station and can walk to some of the attractions. Staff was friendly and very helpful, giving us a city map and showing us which direction to walk towards attractions. The hotel is close to shops and was able to pick up some bites and water for the day. We in in Paris for 4 days and always came back to the hotel quite late 11pm and after midnight. Like any city they were people hanging round, however never once did we feel unsafe.

Steven G, Birmingham, United Kingdom 11/09/2017

we found this hotel to be comfortable and ideally situated for our needs. The staff were friendly, helpful, and happy to converse in English. The room was small, but clean, and pleasantly decorated with everything that we needed for our four night stay. The nearest metro station, Strasbourg - Saint-Denis, was little more than a minute's walk, and not much more than a ten minute stroll to the Louvre or the many bars and restaurants in the area around the Rue Montorgueil. The only surprise was the request for a deposit of €50 on arrival; there seems to be nothing in the booking site which mentions such a requirement. There was no problem having the amount refunded on departure, but for those like us who use cash throughout our travels, to avoid unnecessary bank charges for foreign transactions, this needs to be factored into the budget - and, if this is the last stop before home, you will end with perhaps more Euros than is desirable.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Steven, It was a great pleasure for us to welcome you to the Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay and found our location a good starting point for disocvering the city. Concerning the guarantee we request upon arrival, it enables you to benefit from our minibar, honnesty bar and any other services in a simple way. It is good to know that the amount is not debited on your credit card so does not lead to any unnecessary bank charges. You can keep that extra cash for croissants, macarons & other delicious pastries :) We look forward to welcoming you back very soon. Best regards, Arthur Mérer

I can only recommend this hotel very good service, friendly atmosphere and an ideal location. Good for business trips and also just for a leisure trip to Paris. Easy to get around on Metro and bus. Then area has a variety of typical French Bistros and Cafes which are also used by the locals.

KatjaJensen, Costa Teguise, Spain 03/09/2017

My partner and I stayed there for 5 days in the begining of August. The room was very nice, the bed was superb! Very clean, neat and modern. You were provided soap and shampoo as well. The receptionists were lovely, very helpful! We did a quick check in and the receptionist told us about the main turist attractions and public transport. The hotel is located about 20min away from the Notre Dame (walking distance). The down point are the surrounding, there were many prostitues on the street and around the hotel. We never felt unsafe dar the hotel but I must say that I would not go out late at night. We stayed on the first floor and especially during the weekends it was very noisy from all the talking from outside.

"Great value and location. Super helpful staff"

This is a real find. Modern and clean, boutique style rooms at a great price. The front desk staff, Denis could not have been more helpful. Best western should promote him! Yes, the rooms are small but this is Paris! Really good location and right next to a metro station. On a Main Street so if sleeping late is your choice then ask for a room at the back. This will be my preferred Best Western on future visits.

We booked a hotel to stay for our family vacation. From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff from the front desk to house keeping to the Cafeteria were extremely helpful and really looked like they enjoyed what they were doing. The rooms are quite nice and beautiful not that much spacious but same in all the hotels in paris. The restaurant downstair for the Breakfast and bar is welcoming. Honesty Bar « AWSOME » and the food is good with average prices--great for a family. Again the service of the Front Desk staff is excellent--friendly and always accommodating. We would definitely thank IDIR for the first impression. I will definitely come here again. Other points--very close to the Champs Elysée and Eifel Tawer. Walking distance to Notre Dame is about 10 Minutes

JonS3010, Stevenage, United Kingdom 21/08/2017

My wife and I took are teenage children for a weekend away in August 2017 with an Executive room for ourselves and a twin room for the children. We booked directly to get the best price and breakfast included and right from the start, we had fantastic service from them. Big thanks to Priscila Cosme for being so helpful and answering all our questions beforehand such as places to shop, eat etc and also for reserving the top floor corner rooms for us as she really made our stay a memorable one. The hotel is very modern and clean and we also had a wrap around balcony to enjoy the views and people watching. The bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever used (I should have made a note of the mattress brand so I can buy one!) Breakfast was included which was buffet style and included a small selection of hot foods (Scrambled egg, sausages, bacon and mushrooms) along with cold meats, dairy products and of course croissants and pastries. There is a small grocery store opposite which sell fresh fruit as well as a variety of cold drinks and alcohol. The location is great and easy to get to on foot from Gare Du Nord (takes about 15-20 mins walk) and we walked to most of the main attractions and shopping locations too. We kept our travel by underground to a minimum as wanted to see as much of the real Paris as possible so only got it a couple of times to see the attractions outside of the main city centre but when we did, we found it easy to use and navigate. Earlier reviews mention graffiti in the area but having walked around much of Paris found it to be common place most areas so is just the norm in Paris so don't be put off by that I'd definitely stay here again next time we are in Paris and would recommend it to others too. Thank again for a great stay!

Hotel is nice, staff are friendly, helpful, and speak fluent English. Rooms on the small side (typical for Europe), but very comfortable. Close to Metro and grocery store across street. Breakfast was good. On the whole, you will see a lot of graffiti painted and homeless sleeping around. I noticed this throughout Paris, just not in this area. We took the metro to Eiffel Tower and had no problems.

My Mother and I stayed at this hotel for 9 days in July 2017. It was our first time to Paris. The staff at this hotel made our trip one of the best trips ever! All of the staff could speak English and were extremely helpful and kind about giving us directions and helping us to book our tours. Everyday, they were happy, helpful, kind and positive. The BEST! :) My Mother and I shared a twin room with 2 separate beds. Our room was very clean, modern, decorated nicely, and comfortable. We had free wifi in our room and the room was cleaned daily, even though we slept in and usually left for our day after 1pm. The hotel has a small restaurant downstairs and also had a computer and printer for guests to use which was free. The hotel location was great! It saved us money on taxis because in 30 minutes we could walk to the Louvre or to the Opera House or to the Galeries Lafayette Department store. There were also many other attractions nearby. To sum up, our experience at this hotel made our trip to Paris a very positive experience with great memories. I highly recommend it and many thanks to the excellent staff. We will be visiting again. Absolutely fabulous hotel in a great and central location. There is a metro round the corner for easy access to all the cities major attractions and only 20 mins on foot to Gare du Nord. All the staff were very welcoming and accommodating, they all seemed to genuinely enjoy their job. Special thanks to Priscila and Romain who went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Absolutely would stay again!

excellent staff, spoke English, very helpful, courteous. All amenities of high quality in the room including bath size towels. 1/2 block from metro with 3 lines. 3 stops from Gare D'Nord. Best place for 2 or 3 nights. Booked on Booking.com for about 100 Euros/night. Full American size queen beds. As in most of Europe the rooms are small.

I was in Paris for 5 nights, and loved the hotel. The staff could not be better, the room was super nice, and the shower was fabulous. I only tried the buffet once and not so sure I would do it again, but it's certainly convenient and I'd say give it a try. I was alone in Paris and felt super safe in the hotel. That said, it's an interesting neighborhood. If you walk out and go left, I would consider the neighborhood to be normal Paris, shops, restaurants, and not far from the fun streets of the Maris. If you go right, the metro stop is on the corner (perfect) but the neighborhood is somewhat shabby. A lot of men are hanging around the metro, but no one bothered me AT ALL, even at night. I also saw several prostitutes. So I would just advise, go out and go left, tho if you need to go right you still won't have a problem. It's just interesting Paris. Even from around the Louvre in the 1st, it's still only about a 15 minute walk to the hotel, very pleasant. All in all, loved the hotel, loved the staff (thanks Priscilla!), and would happily stay there again. Good value.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Suzers, Thank you for having stayed with us at the Best Western Premier Marais Grand Boulevard. It is quite true, we are very luck to be in an incredible location from where you can discover Paris in all it's diversity. It is one of the most vibrant neighboorhoods in Paris, if the "left" side is postcard Paris, the "right" side can be full of surprises with alot of hidden gems like one of the best Parisian Boulangeries, many little trendy Cafés and Brasseries, la cour des petites écuries a charming little pedestrian street with lovely terrasses and of course many of Paris's théâtres ... We hope to welcome you back soon for many more disoveries. Best regards, Arthur Mérer

A hotel design from the outside is amazing in the heart of Paris. The lobby already gives you the impression of being well controlled. The receptionists were very smiling. The public areas are clean and neat and decorated. The breakfast buffet was particularly good. Everything was fresh, well presented and all accompanied by impeccable service, smiling and discreet. Our room was perfect. The bathroom was in the same tones, neat. Very nice for the end of the day and / or after a fitness session. definitely I ll come back.

This was the first stop on my wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint. Hotel was easy to get to from the airport and all the stations and attractions, which was amazing. The staff were very friendly and a special thanks to Prescila and Idir. they were very very very helpful, thanks to all of them and were able to accommodate a late check out request. Breakfast was included with our package and it was fantastic - so much choice and the quality was excellent. Our room was very clean and tidy, Bed was really comfortable and the bathroom had a massive shower and bath. Room was nice and quiet also. extremely excellent service from start to finish. Hotel is highly recommended and will definitely stay here again if in Paris. Daher

User 23/07/2017

Stayed here for a few nights to visit Paris. The room was very small but very modern and clean with good air conditioning. Breakfast is good and there is a tiny fitness center/gym (which would make this hotel really great if they added some equipment to it). No real frills, 2 minute walk to Metro and convenient to super markets and some restaurants around. Only downside is that there isn't that much to do here, so you will need to hop on the Metro first.

A visit to France is not complete without a trip to Paris and the visit to paris never will be completed if you do not stay in Best Western Marais Grand Boulevards. It's is truly awesome. The Receptionist Idir was great and kind to all of us. Booked one Classic room then was upgraded to an executive, I started to be happy as well the kindness of the receptionist and witch made our stay beautiful for just 2 night witch will be inforgatable. Not so expansive if you try a Honesty Bar with an amaizing wine call D-Vine Glass of red Wine worth it. The setting in Honesty Bar is stunning in keeping with the hotel itself. I think trusting your guest are unique in the world, including one with free Suites, Popcorn and chocolate Cake. Sounds awsome and it's amazing. It's a definite highlight in Paris. Thx Idir Manuel

Like all other reviews before mine I will have to confirm that this is the preferred place. Smile everywhere, nice lounge bar and a friendly and smiling staff. A night receptionist who was listening. He smiles all night ... incredible. The room was very nice, well equipped and furnished with a very comfortable bed. The hotel is very well maintained. The breakfast buffet is very delicious with a friendly service at the breakfast lounge. We stayed three nights and were very pleased, I and my wife. We were very satisfied with the warm receptionist who really opened the door at midnight with a smile for a check in. The fact that the hotel has this staff is also an attraction and want to come back.

The staff were so helpful and a pleasure to be around. The rooms were clean and well decorated. The location was close to everything and the breakfast was very good. The location is only a two minute walk from the front door with good connections to all the major tourist attractions and airport. They have a 24 hour honesty bar that is well stocked with good with good quality drinks. They even have a free sweet bar with a choice of sweets and popcorn. The staff went out of their way to be of assistance. They were very knowledgeable of the area, trains and public transport and attractions to see. Nothing was too much for them to help with.

NYCguy101, New York City, New York 11/07/2017

The rooms are small ... really tiny. But everything else is very nice. It looks like the place has recently undergone a major renovation, so everything is new. The bathroom was spacious. The AC worked really great. Little conveniences (like a kettle and some tea and instant coffee) were also handy. There's an espresso machine in the lobby, along with some fruit. And they offer a breakfast downstairs if you're interested in paying a bit extra for it. Centrally located, with a cool lighting at night, this hotel is a very good option for a few days in Paris.

Amberains, Fishersville, Virginia 06/07/2017

My husband & I stayed here for 8 nights in May this year. We would stay here again in a heartbeat & recommend it highly. The most outstanding was the front desk personnel, especially Priscilla. She was phenomenal! So friendly and helpful. She recommended a place for dinner our first night and it was so amazing, we ate there 3 times that week (Brasserie Julien)! Our room was tiny, but we expected that in Paris. It was modern and clean and quite nicely designed. The afternoon/evening snacks in the lobby area were very convenient. Wifi worked great, too. The hotel itself is located in a noisy area, but there are plenty of stores & restaurants within walking distance, and the Metro is just steps away. Before bedtime, you will hear a lot of police sirens & perhaps the corner prostitute yelling, but all quiets down a lot overnight. We were so tired that we slept hard on our comfortable bed & never heard a thing. My husband used to manage hotels and was never a huge fan of Best Westerns, but this one won him over, to say the least! We LOVED it!

We loved our stay at the Best western. They were nice enough to give both my sister and me the largest rooms (which are usually reserved for the disabled) in the hotel on the ground floor. The reception desk was very helpful with giving us tips on the places to visit, and handing us a tourist map. They were extremely efficient in giving us print outs when required for our reservations, etc. Best part was that it was located 2 mins away from St. Denis-stratsbourg metro. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is staying in Paris as a tourist.

Bobbi P, St. John's, Canada 04/06/2017

We visited this hotel from May 17-20th, 2017. The hotel is clean, well appointed and modern. Seems like a brand new hotel in a older period building. Our room was small, but we expected that. More than enough room for us for a three night stay. Located right next to a tube and bus station, so we had easy access to the whole city. Many restaurants and pubs in the area, whether you were looking for a pint of beer, a croissant or a full meal. Very efficient and friendly staff, who spoke excellent English during our whole stay. The only thing we would change would be our walk from Gare du Nord. We felt like we were in a sketchy area and on reflection we would have taken a taxi from the station. This does not really impact the rating or stay at this hotel though, the area around the hotel is fine and we felt quite safe. I would gladly stay in this hotel again!

a lovely City Hotel, well located near Metro, bus stations and railway stations, all members of the staff are very friendly and doing their best to serve customers very well with the available space as major limiting factor: my room (very nicely located under the roof with a top view over Paris) was just 12-14 square meters "big" and I cannot imagine anyone will ever pay the official price announced in the room.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review

I stayed at the Best Western with a friend for 3 nights and we were very pleased with our choice. The hotel is very close (about 2-3 minutes) to the next Metro station and you will find a supermarket and various restaurants and bars in the surrounding area. Room was small but very clean, staff is friendly and always helpful. Really good value for the price, would stay here again.

"Nice renewed room design"

3
Citizen0815, Ditzingen, Germany 24/04/2017

Very positive are the modern renovated rooms (on 6th floor at least), even when they are a bit narrow. Very new bathroom with excellent equipment. Unfortunately the room was very noisy by traffic noise through the not very well fitting old windows and by a fan on the roof. The air condition/heating wasn't working first day, but has been repaired next day. Also there are mainly only FR TV channels available with the only exception of BBC News and 3 IT channels. No other language coverage, which is poor for an international hotel chain.

BWPMGB, Directeur général at Best Western Premier Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for sharing with us your experience at the Best Western Premier MArais Grand Boulevard. We are happy that you enjoyed our modern and renovated rooms. I can confirm that all the hotel has been refurbished from top to bottom including the 6th floor of course. We are working at the moment on introducing new television channels for our international guests and we will hopefully be able to share them with you during your next stay in Paris. We look forward to welcome you back very soon. Best regards, Arthur Mérer

The best thing about this Hotel is having a very professional and fantastically helpful Staff! Hotel is very good situated in central parts of Paris with access to many different metro lines within few minutes of walk. There are many bars, restaurants and shops around the hotel. hotel is newly refurbished and is always clean and tidy. the only negative thing was, our double room was slightly smaller than we expected. Fridge and complimentary tee and coffee was a good thing.

Miaamariaa, Akershus, Norway 19/04/2017

I went with my 14y old daugther. Modern, clean and super beds. If you enjoy a Hotel a bit from the ordinary, this is a very good choice. Hotel staff is very friendly, competent in English and helpful with whatever you need. We loved the Hotel, but the area was a bit to "international" for us, and we did not feel comfortable at night. It is howsoever in walking distance to the Seine, Louvre, Notre Dame and Les Halles which is great for shopping. (All 15 minutes walk). Walk down Rue Saint Martin paralell to the street the Hotel is on. Also easy access to Metro that takes you directly to the Eifel Tower (stop Trocadero) and Champs Elysses (4stops). If you want to go to Montemartre/SacreCeaur you can take metro 4 and change to metro 2 or 12. Also very easy. Cafe Central outside of Hotel has wonderful coffee and breakfast.

Dear Miaamariaa, We are happy to read that you enjoyed quality time with your daughter at the Best Western Premier Marais Grand Boulevard. It is great that you enjoyed the quality of our location. I hope that we will welcome you and your daughter back very soon. Best regards, Arthur Mérer

Well situated, within walking distance from metro and gare du nord and gare de l' est. It is also centrally situated between the river , le Marais, and the Montmatre, hence we preferred to walk around. The hotel is trully a 4* one. The bed was comfortable and the ned sheets and pillows fresh and nice. Our room was a bit small but the bathroom was very good, with a fantastic and modern shower. It had also a good hair blowdryer. The lights were very good and it has many plugs in the room where you can charge all your devices. The internet was very good too, it had good wifi coverage and it was free and fast enough. Finally the staff was very polite and very helpful. I warm thank you for the hospitality.

CillaSister, Wales 07/04/2017

Stayed for 4 nights. Hotel is immaculate. Although rooms are very small they are very modern and immaculate. As out all day it doesn't really matter. Kettle, tea and coffee in room and given iron and board for entire stay when we asked at reception. Reception staff are fab and all spoke good English (my French leaves a lot to be desired!!). Wanted to chill one night after a very busy day so disappointing that only one English Channel on TV (BBC World News). Hotels usually have a bit of choice or the option to watch a film. Breakfast was OK although limited but the tea was dire (better in the room). Lady was rushed off her feet one morning but she remained pleasant when she was faced with a very rude guest. Good location with metro literally a few steps around the corner and hop on hop off bus stop 5 minute walk away. Plenty of coffee bars and restaurants a very short walk away. A bit noisy as on main road.

Hugh_McGoldrick, Ottawa, Canada 29/09/2016

We stayed here for a week in September. It was our first trip to Paris so we picked this hotel because it was centrally located and near a Metro station. The room was very nice but a bit on the small side. We were out so much that it really didn't matter to us. The hotel will store luggage while you are there which makes the room feel less cluttered. (we didn't take advantage of this option) It was very clean and had everything we needed, including a nice shower and good wifi. The front desk was good to us and helped on several occasions with directions and also lent us an umbrella on the one day that it rained. There was a general hum to the city and sirens could be heard most nights...but it is down town Paris. The streets around the hotel are filled with people of all types, including a few selling themselves but it always felt safe to walk around. Rue St.Denis is one block away and filled with interesting shops, restaurants and bakeries. It was about a 20 minute walk to the Louve, d'Orsay and other interesting areas of central Paris.

"Not the best location, unless you like prostitutes."

3
User 13/09/2016

We stayed here for 2 nights on our babymoon/ early honeymoon. (I definitely recommend booking any and all hotels directly through their own website so that there's a better chance of getting upgrades/ freebies for special occasions.) LOCATION: This hotel is located on a busy street next to the Metro. We constantly heard the roar of sirens and traffic (room 13, 1st floor, facing main street) and could literally spot multiple prostitutes from our window at almost any given time of day. We looked it up only after our first night because there were just so many, and found out that the area was known for "ladies of the night" that don't just come out during the night. Some were obvious and scantily dressed, while others looked like regular middle-aged moms. You could usually tell if they were prostitutes by the shoes they wore. They usually stood in one spot or in door ways for long periods of time. We watched them approach middle aged men walking by themselves and then disappear into the allies, all from our window. In a matter of 48 hours, we also witnessed a younger guy tagging a wall across the street during the day (from our window), and a drug deal between a black man and a white man, just a few blocks down. The minority population is a lot higher in this area in comparison to other parts of Paris and you'll definitely notice when walking around. With all that said, we were never approached or bothered by anyone on the street. We never felt unsafe walking, but we were always together. I wouldn't recommend this area to people traveling with kids though. ROOM: Standard small size with an even smaller bathroom. You literally step in, and step out. The design of the shower let water spray through so our floors were always a little wet. Rooms come with nice TVs, minibar, blow dryer, safe, and a clock that is Iphone friendly. The bed was comfortable and sheets felt nice a clean. Unfortunately, not the quietest. We could always hear people in the hall and the fire alarm went off for a good 3-5 minutes straight right outside our room. For our room being non-smoking, it always smelled like smoke right when we entered, but nothing too unbearable. After a certain time, you must be let in through the front doors by the front desk, and twice were we standing there, waiting to be let in. For being a bigger chained hotel, we were expecting the front desk help to be a little more friendly. They were definitely not the warmest and at the time of check-out, I was told we had to pay city taxes of almost 10 euro for staying only 2 nights. I booked through Priceline and even showed her the emails that said nothing of this additional fee, after she repeatedly claimed it did. We later figured out that the fee was already included with Priceline, but the hotel never charged us for it and expected us to pay the last day. A little hiccup, but I just didn't appreciate how the front desk was so certain that I was wrong. She never apologized, just said she understood how I could have misunderstood because nothing was written in the email or on Priceline's site. Overall, the room and hotel itself were aesthetically appealing and very clean, but the location and the staff's lukewarm customer service will have us looking elsewhere.

BWPMGB, Directrice at BEST WESTERN PREMIER Marais Grands Boulevards, responded to this review
Dear, First of all thank you for taking the time to review that very detailed about our hotel. I think you have stayed a day when there was a particular animation to have seen so many things. Eric C, Burlingame, California 24/08/2016

Very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The room was small but well-appointed. The employees were very friendly and helpful, especially Romain at the front desk. The neighborhood is busy and dense, probably not the most peaceful part of Paris.

Aniello F, Munich, Germany 17/08/2016

I was there with my girlfriend for 5 nights and our stay was very pleasant. At the time I had had a problem with my credit card and the staff was very helpful in finding an alternative solution to pay. To cheer us up, or because the hotel wasn't fully booked, or both, we had an upgrade to an higher level room. The room itself was very clean and bright, with bed and bathroom appropriate to the hotel's category. Concerning the position, it is within walking distance to an area with nice bars and restaurants (towards Les Halles), and it is excellently situated 2-3 minutes walk from the underground station connected to M4, M8, M9. Convenience stores can be found very close by. Overall, I'd strongly suggest this hotel! :)

The Hotel is clean, neat and we loved the courteous staff. The rooms are about average size but given that it is Paris, we also expected it. Good location advantage in the best district of Marais, Would strongly suggest tourists stay in this district and in this hotel.

Fantastic stay. Room was upgraded for free when they realised that we arrived on my husband's 40th birthday and the service was friendly and helpful. Great location - a ten minute walk to the gay scene. Stayed two nights - would stay again!

Good location in center of Paris. Close to metro station. Many shops and restaurants near by. Hotel itself is clean, room is modern and fresh. Yes, its a bit small but it is normal for Paris. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast we preferred to eat outside of hotel. There are many croissanteries and bagel caffes. I would stay in this hotel again.

"Low quality overall, so Disappointed."

We have stayed here for our honeymoon. Once we have seen the room, It was really disappointing.VERY SMALL room, and bathroom. even if we have asked to change room to same category, they were not able to satisfy our request , saying that they didnt have got anymore room. and they have got only a suite which we had to pay more diffirence if we would like to change what I did is,Ive looked through a booking site if they have got any availability for the same classic double room for the dates of our stay, theygot more than one classic room available. really disappointing!!!!! I think it was the smallest room that they have in the hotel!!! Wi-fi connection didnt work all the time we were at the highest floor I think. But it was clean, and well supplied. We were expecting atleast a good buffet of breakfast for its expensive cost, but what we had was really poor quality, small choices of foods and beverages. Staff were helpful, to give some informations. Especially the gentlemans. The lady on the reception on our check out , didn't help us the way we've wanted. The biggest good point of this hotel, might be its location. Few minutes away by subway from all the main attractions of Paris city centre. The nearest subway stop is just across the street. Just pay attention on pick pockets theyre everywhere! Overall, I don't reccomend this hotel, If you want to be home away from home, go and spend your money in somwhere else better than this hotel!!!

I tried to book my recent stay at the hotel was trying to book 2 rooms using there website but some how the booking was not going through so i decided to send them a mail to help me book the needfull also had sent a screenshot of there website with the offer and price total for the stay , how ever they never replied to the mail at first go so i decided to call them instead , the lady at reservation said she just checked my mail and will be sending me the reservation link again , on receipt of there mail the prices were high she had sent me different and high room rates + additional cost for breakfast (it was already included in my booking ref image) - taking it further i replied to there mail attaching the same image but this time they even increased the prices of the room , overall poor experience with the bookings calling them 5 times and sending them a mail 4 times was just a waste of time and money and because of them i missed my booking at another hotel as it got full ...... will never recommend any one to expect anything from the hotel staff pathetic service

I spent one night in this place whilst on business in Paris. The location is good, with lots of restaurants, and shops around. I have to say also that the staff are very friendly. However I found the room and the bathroom too small for the rate charged (309€/night). I'm not sure I will return to this place again for the same rate.

A stone's throw from the Metro. Stylish décor and a courteous welcome. I hate not having a proper bathtub - but have to say the shower [there are only showers] was superb - not a drop leaking out of the cubicle in the lovely bathroom with great 'Nuxe' amenities. Bed great and [for Paris] quite a reasonable sized room, lots of storage space, tea and coffee, speaker / charger for I-phone, varied pillows and immaculately clean. A delight!

"Good value, but not ideal for business travellers"

4
fjpirie, New York City, New York 09/05/2016

The staff were all helpful and charming, from the reception desk to the cafe to the housekeeping staff. As is typical of older Parisian hotels, the rooms are tiny. Although well-designed to make the most of the small space and beautifully updated with contemporary fixtures, the room was not a suitable work environment. The desk was a narrow shelf and the only options for using it were to sit on the end of the bed or squeeze uncomfortably onto a tiny chair between the bed and the edge of the desk. Internet connection was extremely slow, unless you pay for an upgrade. That said, the included breakfast was very good value with a good selection of fresh breads, fruit, cheeses, etc. Would definitely consider for a leisure trip, but not for business.

Chiggins16, London, United Kingdom 08/05/2016

Outstanding hotel with polite and friendly staff who will help you in any way they can. Well layed out and makes use if the space they have very well. Breakfast was decent with everything you could want I especially loved all the fresh fruit and cheeses. My only one failing was a single item regarding my room type where they lit my wife and I in a standard when we had booked an executive room but after speaking with my wife we weren't fussed and were quite happy with the one they gave us and of course they knocked the difference off the bill without question and with a sincere apologies. A great hotel which I'm sure our next visit to Paris will be first on our list.

User 02/05/2016

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at this Best Western Premier. It was close to the train station (Gare du Nor) we used and the Metro stop was right on the corner. Transportation proximity was important to us since our stay in Paris was a short one. The room itself was excellent - modern decor, clean and comfortable. The fixtures and furniture were like new. The brunch offering was satisfactory and reasonably priced for the neighborhood. The front desk staff were friendly and extremely helpful with sightseeing tips and navigating the Metro to get the most our of our short stay - we really appreciated that. All in all, we can confidently recommend this hotel and would happily stay there again when we return to Paris.

"Not the best choice-supper noisy room"

1
s4b4, london 01/05/2016

The rooms are nice but don't fall for that. The area immediately outside the hotel is very dodgy. And the rooms facing the streets ( specially on the first floor) are supper noisy. Couldn't get any sleep at all. I asked for my room to be changed on my way out in the morning and they told me to pack my stuff and they would do it for me. When I returned to the hotel in the evening they told me they are full and it's impossible. Hopefully my stay was only for two nights. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

Ideally located, half way between the Gare Du Nord and the sights. Only saw the ground floor of the hotel, our room faced onto the street but it was not too noisy. Breakfast expensive so picked up breakfast on the go from the supermarket opposite. Bar operated by night porter and so do not expect a good socialising or meeting place.

Great small hotel. Helpful staff. Clean rooms. Modern. Does what it says on the tin! Location could be perceived as a bit odd. Seems a bit scruffy round and about and a strange amount of ladies of the night(!), but it's very conveniently situated. Some good restaurants close by, particularly in Marais. Would highly recommend for s short break in Paris.

"Great hotel for the price"

Chris L, Simpsonville, United States 27/02/2016

Everything was really nice. The rooms were tiny, but were also explained in all of the reviews, so I knew what to expect. Previous reviews hit the nail on the head. The location is awesome (only a few kilometers from Notre Dame and the Louvre). The criticism woudl be that the breakfast is insanely expensive (I didn't buy it, bc it was so expensive). Also, the traffic outside is really loud, so it is tough to get a really restful night, despite how comfortable the bed is! Overall I would definitely recommend. The hotel was very nice and modern. Centrally located, so you are right in the middle of the action. Plenty of restaurants nearby and entertainment.

"HOTEL WITH VERY SERIOUS HYGIENE ISSUES !!!"

1
Iamtongtong, London, United Kingdom 23/02/2016

We had a very unpleasant stay and we believe the experiences we had is unacceptable to everyone, not only us! We booked two rooms for three nights, check in on 19th Feb 2016, check out on 22nd Feb 2016. On Second day, when we back to hotel at night We found the BIN BAG WITH THE RUBBISH INSIDE WERE ON THE DESK, ESPECIALLY ON TOP OF THE FRUITS WE LEAVE IN THE PLATE! How terrible! We think we are quite lucky because of the cleaner took this mistake by forgeting take the bin bag away when she change it to a new one, otherwise we will eat the fruits. This is the very serious hygiene issue to make us risen the complain, but there are few other issues we found in three days, eg, dirty mop left for TWO DAYS on the table of my friends' room; cups leave on the table without cleaning; no one looks after the canteen downstairs, and leave the kitchen unlocked and with the food inside. When we raise the issues to the front desk manager, he has no sense about how serious it is, he keep explain to us he will ask the cleaning lady why she forgot take the Bin bag away after she change it. And we need to explain to him we will accept this mistake if she only forget the bin bag in the room, but we cannot accept she leave it on the table, it doesn't really matter whether there has fruits or not. And we did request to see the hotel manager, but she refused to see us, only ask us to send her a email and we did see her sit in the office when the front desk manager spoken to her. The conclusion are: 1, The hotel has very serious hygiene issues, as well as healthy and safety issues. 2, The hotel management is weak and not helpful; 3, Best Western Group doesn't have basic training, management and monitoring system in place, not a reliable chained-brand hotel at all! We are not going to stay in any of the Best Western hotel at all in the future!

Shona K, Halifax, United Kingdom 10/02/2016

This was mine and my boyfriends first visit to Paris which we have very much enjoyed! We stayed in a best western hotel in Amsterdam that's why this hotel was one of our first choices. Hotel was spotless and lovely reception area. Rooms are small but we loved ours, very cosy and modern. It is very noisy, we was on the top floor but it is situated on a main road. Didn't try breakfast at the hotel so can't comment. All the different attractions in Paris are quite a distance from each other so having the tube station right over the road was ideal to visit all the different places. There's also a small restaurant straight over the road called Le Central which we would definitely recommended. Had a lovely stay and would definitely return again.

GiovanniAlex, Milan, Italy 08/02/2016

The hotel is very good as location and quality/price ratio. The staff is fantastic They are all very kind and ready to assit you in all possible ways. They successfully solved a few problems with our shuttle service from the airport, and immediately provided a high level solution. The only problem I had was related to the moquette, which I absolutely don't like. When they clean the room, if they put the stuff on the moquette, the result will bebhaving hairs and other dirt on your bed, which is actually quite annoying. So the bed will not be perfectly clean. Anyhow the room is large and very nice. In general I would absolutely suggest this hotel for any type of stay, both for business, leisure or romantic trip to Paris. My vote is 9.

We originally had an airbnb booked which wasn't as expected so booked this hotel last minute. This turned out great as it's a perfect spot to explore the city. great hotel. friendly receptionist on arrival (and throughout!) really made a difference. the hotel is bright, cheerful, fresh, clean. it all seems quite new. the room is on the small side but plenty adequate. fab walk in shower! mini bar so you have a fridge! there is a late night mini market out the hotel to the left for drinks all night. to the right out the hotel is a metro link and a tabac for cheap coffees etc and a supermarket for essentials (we bought in brekkie stuff as its upwards of 12 euro each for coffee and bun) hotel lets you print boarding cards off downstairs. there was a pleasant looking breakfast room but we didnt use it. close to lots of great bars and restaurants -head out to the left to rue bombardes off to the left is the cheapest greek/italian restaurant ever. gorgeous food!the bed was comfy, lots of pillows , tv, nicely done, top stay would go back! easy to get about to whole of paris from here.

Stayed here during New Years. Nice neighbourhood, convenient location with Strasbourg-St.Denis Metro station steps away from the hotel. The very unfriendly front desk said room is not ready and come back in 1 hour. we went ate came back sitting in the loby. notice several people come in checked in and got a key. after sitting there for 1/2 hr. Went up to the desk and asked if our room was ready. The front desk said yes, just got ready. Gave us the first floor, when i asked if we could move a little higher, I was told "everyone wants higher rooms. No, with an attitude . I asked to add my best Western card number, I was told "no" you did not book thru us and you can't get points with a tone;. We got the keys went to the room. The room is small, nicely decorated by does not have a hair dryer. This is a 4 star hotel!! It was hot, we could not open the window because of the location and the street noise, so my wife removed the sheet from the comforter and we noticed a dark spot.. it was dry, it's an old stain and looked to be blood. They seemed to have washed the sheet, but not the comforter. Next morning at checkout i informed the front deask and showed a picture to the two people at the front desk. they did not care.. The reception desk lady and the lady that sits in the little office next to the desk saw the pictures and neither cared. The receptionist gave me my receipt. We left. this hotel is near a corner with bars and prostitutes. It is not in the best spot. what is more unacceptable is the unfriendly reception and the dry bad attitude. This not a 4 star hotel. 3 start is too good.

Madam, Sir, Thank you for your comment. Know first that our hotel has rooms in the integrality dry hair. Also be aware that check-in is at 14 pm and check out is at 12 pm. when customers leave a 12 that leaves little time to clean a room. that is why we request and note in each booking confirmation that the check in is at 14h but we can keep your luggage although obviously because we have a luggage room. We get many compliments on the cleanliness of the rooms and the reception of our customers, I am very surprised to read your comment. We hope you will come back and see us again soon, or for the first time. If I can be of assistance in the future, please don't hesitate to contact me at +33 1.42.78.75.33. Regards. "Chic Hotel"

This is a very chic boutique hotel, which gets the balance just right. Some boutique hotels in the chain look more cheesy and a little tacky, but this is definitely a higher grade. The evening receptionist is very patient, calm and helpful. The executive room had a balcony overlooking the main street which had a lively buzz. But the soundproofed room was peaceful and without any disturbance. It is situated close to a metro station, shops and restaurants. So an ideal venue for anyone who wants to be close to everything the city centre has to offer.

A gem! The hotel has had a recent complete renovation and our room had many quality touches and showed great use of space. My wife and I enjoyed the busy but safe central location with restaurants, culture, history and loads of shopping nearby - including a supermarket for the best prices on wine, cheese and other happy hour ingredients. Also, literally 30 seconds to the metro! As with most Paris hotels, our room was small but there were so many positives including very comfortable beds, we were thrilled. Staff were courteous, personable and very helpful. A bit pricier than some, but worth it if you want quality and location. No hesitation in recommending.

The room was very small but well thought through. No space was lost. It was well decorated (modern style) and well appointed as long as you don't have loads of suitcases. Very clean too and good breakfast. I would stay there again.

"Great bathroom"

User 12/10/2015

Booked the executive twin room which was slightly bigger. I always look for hotels with modern bathrooms to gauge it's worth :) Bathroom was very modern with Nuxe shower gel/shampoo/lotion. Shower has separate rain shower and handheld shower. Other amenities not available but can request it from reception. Comfy fluffy slippers and bathrobe were provided. Stayed in room 32 which has a nice corner view. Room relatively quiet for street view room. When you open the door you walk right into the bed. Guess being an older building, space is limited. Would be good if they installed those safety chains/locks on the door for added security. Checkin reception was wonderful - Mr. Amir (apologies for misspellings) was very friendly / helpful. However checkout left us feeling unwelcomed to return. He told us we owed €4.96 for tax which we paid but there was no thankyou or anything. I looked at him waiting for him to tell us if all was set. He just blankly looked at us and didn't say a word. I thanked him (I probably shouldn't have!) and turned to leave. Shouldn't he have thanked us instead for being paying guests?! Afterall he's in the hospitality business. Overall despite that one thing, hotel is clean, newly renovated and near metro. Plenty of supermarkets nearby too.

The real game-breaker here is that the wifi is consistently horrible. It's impossible to do any work from your room. The rooms are also extremely small - barely larger in any direction than a queen size bed. It is otherwise nice and comfortable but really not somewhere I'll stay again.

It is a fine area with the Grand Boulevards and interesting side streets. The hotel is well situated. The standard rooms i tried were fine with double glazed french doors towards the boulvard. A good breakfast and coffee. The service also fine. Recommendable.

The hotel has been recently renovated and is now a 4 star. I booked through the hotel website and we had a very nicely decorated street facing room on the 2nd floor with a small balcony. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had large thick fluffy towels and Nuxe products. Wifi was good.We had breakfast included in the rate, and this was served downstairs. We enjoyed our stay, and would certainly stay here again.

Would recommend. Good location. Room smaller than expected, wifi slow, corridor smelt a bit! But overall good - stylish, near metro stop, friendly staff There were lots of people hanging around on the street in the nearby area - so that was a minor worry - and the shower was so powerful you couldnt use it full strength or it flooded the enclosure!

"Friendly staff and clean, nice room"

Mel H, Bournemouth, United Kingdom 07/07/2015

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in May 2015. We were unsure how this hotel would be as there were mixed reviews, but overall we were happy with the stay. The manager kindly reduced the price for us before we even arrived. I had booked on a best price guarantee but then a few weeks later found they had reduced it considerably. After a member of staff initially saying the price would not be matched, I received a further email from the manager saying the price would be reduced. When we arrived the staff were very helpful and friendly, and the overall look of the hotel was very nice. It was small but the outside was nicely presented and the lobby area was well decorated. The room was small as to be expected in Paris, maybe a little smaller than it looked online but no issue. If you were staying more than a couple of days you may want a larger room but for a short stay it has everything you need. The shower room was great, very clean and a good shower which is always a bonus! The bed was comfy. We were at the back of the hotel which looked out onto other buildings so maybe request a room at the front of the hotel. The breakfast was ok, fairly limited selection and the waitress bought the ham and cheese around so you could only have one slice of each, but there was scrambled egg, pastries and other items which made up for this. There were 2 members of staff which weren't particularly friendly, but the other 2 were very friendly and helpful which more than made up for this. We chose the Bastille area as we were visiting Paris to go to a gig at the Bataclan. This was a 10 minute walk away which was perfect for us. There are a few restaurants around and some nice shops to browse. We ate at a burger bar on the main shopping street which was lovely. We uses the metro to get everywhere, and because there were 2 stations on 2 different lines located a 5 minute walk from the hotel it was easy to get to most places. We went to the Moulin Rouge for an evening and this took quite a while to get to but we were expecting that. The hotel staff told us the best way to get there and it was easy enough.

"24-hr layover in Paris"

Had to spend one additional nigh in Paris because of a taxi's strike and we picked this hotel because of the location and the rate. It met all our expectations as the location is perfect (for 2 min walking distance from metro, plenty of bars + restaurants and great for shopping). The hotel is modern yet respectful of the historical side of the building, the breakfast served downstairs was good and service very professional. Rooms are quite small (hello, it's Paris) but the bathroom was large and super clean. Highly recommended for a short stay.

I found this hotel last minute when I needed to leave an awful hotel I booked before. It was just what I needed to rescue my last few days in Paris. The hotel was recently remodeled with bright and tasteful colors. The room was small but was very well done. There was a desk and chair, another huge sitting chair, decent closet and neat bathroom with shower. I liked the bedding and furnishings which included a mini bar and an ipod dock. My room was on the top floor and offered a window that open to show some of the Parisan rooftops. It was comfortable, the staff helpful and location is central between two train stations one only steps away that can connect to the airport line easily. I will am likely to stay here on my next trip to Paris for the comfort, convenience and affordability.

Stayed three nights and was very impressed with the updated clean rooms! Modern furniture, comfortable bed, nice balcony and fresh bathroom. Coffee maker in room, however make sure you get the coffee replenished every day. The room was small but this is Paris so I don't expect anything else. Very impressed with Francoise at the front desk - very friendly and helpful! Would definitely stay here again!
