"This hotel has a lot of good qualities"

If you are looking for a hotel in the Louvre/Opera area in Paris, the Best Western is worth consideration. We stayed three different times in three different rooms on our trip and appreciated the good points of the hotel. The hotel is small (just 20 rooms) and located on a normally quiet side street just a block from an exciting major road, Avenue de l'Opera the rooms are all quite small, similar to the size of a room on a cruise ship. Rooms are quite comfortable and incude a coffee maker and bathrom with a heated floor. TV is mosty French. Internet speed is great - more than enough to stream Netflix. Optional breakfast (12 euro) is in a 6 table area in the lobby. Breakfast includes scrambled eggs, ham, yogurt, cheese, croissants, jam, coffee, fresh fruit, juice, freshly baked baguette, cold cereal etc. Staff (especially Patrick at the front desk) are pleasant, helpful, efficient and friendy. They all speak English. The location is central, a block from a M14/M7 metro station, three blocks from a M1 Metro station, a short 5 minute walk to the Opera, the Louvre, the tuilleries, la Comedie Francaise. The area has a arge number of informal Asian cafes as well as French restaurants, bakeries, a supermarket and fast food such as 5 Guys and Mickey Dees. Summary: small rooms, nice place, nice staff, great location.

Great location, few minutes of walk from Opera and Louvre. Room was tiny, but I think it is very common in Paris. We had two twin beds and there was no space in between those. Tiny closet with 4 hangers and no space for suitcases. But we managed, had to live out of suitcase and just hang out clothes for the next day. I should say, beds were very comfortable, room was clean, small refrigerator fit snacks and few bottles of soda and water, plus you have your own electric tea pot and coffee packs, so you can make your own tea or coffee. Room was cleaned daily, fresh towels and soaps. In the room you have bathtub/ shower, sink and toilet all with in reach... lol did I mentioned that room was tiny... sounds not inviting but I should say, you have everything you need in a small bungle... If you will be on the go and only will sleep in the room, you definitely have everything you need. Elevator is small, you and two of your suitcases... Breakfast was great each morning. Stuff was so helpful, you just feel like you are at home... I was looking for a special bread to take home with me, well stuff called in to all bakeries to find out when and how I can get freshly baked bread on the day of my departure... Amazing! We needed a cab (during riots in Paris) they found it and spoke to driver themselves to be sure we are safe. Clearly, people who work in this hotel make it feel like you are at home and location makes the world difference... So underline is, great hotel, great stuff, great location and very affordable. Skipping size of the room, I easily could have given them 5 stars.

"Excellent hotel"

This was the first time staying at this hotel as our usual hotel, just around the corner, had raised their room rate to a level that we could not accept. Greta location, good room, comfortable bed, welcoming staff who organised transport for us throughout our stay. All in all value for money and we will be back in 2019.

"Room without a proper window that at 250 euro a night is quite short of expectations"

26/11/2018

Just checked in the hotel. great location but if you are even a bit claustrophobic make sure you don't stay in room 100. Not sure if it is the only one but likely it is, it is on the ground floor with basically no proper window. The hotel is full so they could not accommodate a change but would not stay for more than 1 night at 250 euro per night. i am sure the other rooms have proper windows. The room is overall nice but being at the entrance you also hear everything that is happening outside

"Smelly room"

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights. The smell in the room was terrible. Smelt like sewer coming from the bathroom. I would think they may have a problem with their pipes. The breakfast was not included in the price. We found it to be very expensive for what they offered. Was cheaper to go to a Restaurant. We would not recommend staying at this hotel.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam, We are sad to read your review. Indeed I tried to find your room to know where you stayed but did not find you. I would be grateful if you could send me an e-mail so I can fix the issue. Also I regret that our breakfast was not at your convenience, personnaly I think that it is not expensive enough! However we cannot argue about the taste as it is impossible to please everyone. Indeed I have lot of good review on my breakfast. The breakfast costs 12€, in a restaurant, for that money you do not have a lot of products! I offer more! Also if you reserve on my web site or mail it costs 6 Euros. Anyway we try to offer the best quality everyday. If you change your mind we will be pleased to help you organise your stay! Warm Regards, Alexandre and the team

"Staying at a Gem in Paris"

Imagine staying in the home of Tolouse Lautrec the painter, just a 15 minute walk to the Louvre, another 10 to Notre Dame and a 5 minute walk to the Paris Metro? Imagine a small hotel where the staff knows you and not only caters to your every need but anticipates it. Imagine leaving the hotel after check out and they call your cab to come back for what you forgot. Imagine staying in a hotel on a quiet street just one block from a major Avenue. B-W Paris Louvre Opera is where you can live it. We stayed there 4 days and wish our agenda could permit 40 more.

"Great Hotel!"

What a great location! Close to Metro, and walking distance to the Louvre and many other sightseeing attractions. The room was very clean and the bed was extremely comfortable! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mr Soares, We would like to thank you for your great feedback. It could not be better, 5 points everywhere! We are pleased to see that you did not find any bad points regarding our hotel and the room 207! We will be more than pleased to help you organise your next venue in our property. Do not hesitate to book through the hotel website, the best prices are there (and half rate for breakfast!) Warm Regards, Alexandre and all the team

My husband and I stayed in this hotel from October 1-5th. We had read good reviews about this place on Trip Advisor and felt confident that we would not be disappointed, and we were not! The staff were beyond friendly and went out of their way to accommodate us. My husband is blind and they were very considerate, caring and helpful. Alexander was as helpful as they said on Trip Advisor, Patrick was delightful and also very helpful. The guy who cleaned our room (I am sorry I can't remember his name)was a gentleman and went out of his way to help too. They were all so considerate. The hotel was extremely clean, the bed very comfortable and the breakfast was yummy! I would highly recommend this hotel not only for its friendly staff but also for the convenience of the location. Thank you all. Mr & Mrs Egan

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mr and Mrs Egan, It was a real pleasure and an honnor to welcome you. Indeed we thank you for the very kind words, kind as you are. I wish I could have more guests like you: happy to travel, enjoying life, what an example! We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in our property. We will remain at disposal for any further demand you might have in the futur. Alexandre

"Perfect for a quick trip to Paris"

On arrival to the Paris Louvre opera , I was met by the lovely Patrick on the front desk. I was meeting my aunt for a few days stay at this hotel. I sat and waited for her taxi to arrive and chatted to Patrick whilst I waited. He made me feet at ease as a lone traveler. We checked in with ease. The room was a tad small for a twin , but that said, it did not bother us one bit, as we were only sleeping in the room, not moving in, as we came to see Paris. I find other people's reviews totally unfounded. It was very clean, plenty of towels and the fridge had complimentary drinks for us to use. The hotel was in a very quiet street and we were not disturbed during the night at all. In the morning we went down for breakfast 7-10.30. There was a lovely selection of continental and cooked food. It was really lovely The lovely lady who did housekeeping / breakfast was also such a lovely lady , I'm sad I forget her name. Nothing was too much trouble. I'd definitely stay here again and totally recommend this to friends and family. Beautiful hotel. Patrick was my fav staff member , he needs a promotion. We had a late flight home ,so we left our bags after checkout at 12 , this was not a issue at all. Fab hotel.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madame Catherine, What a review! All the staff (Nezra is the name...) joins me to thank you for your very nice words that please us. It was a pleasure to welcome you for this special occasion. (happy birthday!) We look forward to accomodate you on another occasion, soon, we hope as we now know that you live next door! Warm Regards, Alexandre and the team

Great hotel. Ideally located and very comfortable. Staff could not be more helpful or courteous. It's Paris so the rooms are small and we wish we'd had some drawers (and a bigger wardrobe) but we survived without. Hopefully we'll get some on our next visit. There will be a next time.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam, I would like to thank you for the very nice comment. It is so grateful to see that you enjoyed your stay more than just for a room size! We have spacious rooms with big wardrobe: When are you planning to come back? ;-) We will be pleased to help you organise your next venue. Alexandre

Hotel is ok for the value and is in a good location. Internet works fine. And can store your luggage if you do early check out or check in. Take your own shampoo because is very low quality the one that the provide.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam, We would like to thank you for your review. We are pleased to see that you have enjoyed your stay with us. We regret that the shampoo was not at your convenience, you are the first to tell me . However I will check to see what can be improve. I will be pleased to arrange for a nice one to be pleaced in your room for your return stay! Warm Regards, Alexandre Manager

"Perfect stay"

26/09/2018

On a recent return trip to Paris, we stayed one night at the Best Western Louvre Opera before taking the train to LeHavre for a cruise departure. I chose this hotel based upon the excellent location and the positive reviews. It did not disappoint. The street is short and the taxi had a little trouble finding the place at first, but that made it quiet and we did not have traffic noise. It is very close to a Metro station. We walked to the Opera and later we walked the other way, down to the Louvre and the Seine. It is a very safe neighborhood. We enjoyed dinner at a nearby Korean restaurant. The hotel is diminutive. Everything is laid out to maximize the use of space. The front lobby attendants were very friendly, and they directed me to the nearby Monoprix where I bought some wine. The breakfast area is banquette seating in the lobby area. I enjoyed ham, croissants, fruit, and the other breakfast offerings. Our room was on the 2nd floor. They do have an elevator. There are several rooms near each other, but with an extra security door. The room was on the smaller side, as is typical in Paris, but this one was delightful and we had everything we needed, including coffee, TV, hair dryer, and a window we could open. They called a taxi for us in the morning, and it is only about 10 minutes to Gare St Lazare. Would definitely stay here again.

"Friendly staff, very small rooms"

2
19/09/2018

There wasn't enough floor space to lay 2 suitcases on the floor. Even elevator couldn't accommodate 2 adults with luggage: think of a “phone booth”. Bathroom was tiny and tub (for shower) so narrow, I found it difficult to stand because there was not enough flat area for two feet side by side. The staff, however, were very friendly and helpful.

"Nice Cosy Accomodation"

30/08/2018

We stayed at the Best Western Paris Louvre Opera for six nights and we really enjoyed our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was nice and filling for the day ahead. The staff were welcoming and always willing to assist. ??

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam Janine, We are pleased to see that you enjoy your stay with us. (and a long stay by the way!) Also you mentioned two very important things, the bed, wich is the best of the beds!! (I know what I say as I have the same at home!) We also attached importance to the breakfast for it to have the best rate quality. I, as a manager, am always happy to see that my team gives a good service, the most important thing in a guest stay to my point of view. We wil be happy to welcome you back on another occasion! Warm parisian regadrs, Alexandre

"good cozy hotel"

28/08/2018

this hotel is well situated within a good neighborhood, which is particularly populated by a large number of asian eateries, from Japanese and Chinese to Korean and Thai--but there are of course a number of typical french bistros and cafes. it is close to a metro and is in walking distance of various sites of interest. Staff was excellent, especially the reception person, Alex. Rooms are small, but comfortable and very clean.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Alex! For sure coming from an Alex the comment can only be good ;-) We thank you for this nice review. We are pleased to see that you enjoyed our property. We will be glad to welcome you on another occasion in our property, maybe in a bigger room!? We will remain at disposal. Best Regards, Alexandre

"Good little boutique hotel"

09/08/2018

We chose the Opera Best Western so we could watch the final stage of the Tour de France. We arrived on bicycles before check in time and were warmly greeted and the hotel looked after our bags whilst we cycled around Paris, enjoying a coffee by the Arc de Triomphe and taking in the Opera and Place du Concorde. The hotel didn't have any room to store bikes but the night manager found a safe space for them.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, We are pleased to read your review. I am specially happy to see that your bikes slept in the hotel. I know what I am talking about as I ride a bicycle also! We will be pleased to welcome you and your bikes on another occasion in Paris! Warm Regards, Alexandre

26/07/2018

We have stayed here several times over the last couple of years. It's a really good location, quiet but in the heart of Paris life. The high standard of rooms and service has been maintained throughout. They were also very kind and helpful when we had to cancel a trip at very short notice due to family illness.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam, Sir, We would like to thank you for the great review! We are pleased to see that our level of service and quality does not change during the years! It is the best compliment we received! Indeed we are flexible when you reserve on our web site or by mail, however on booking.com or other website, we will not be flexible! We will remain at disposal to help you organise your next stay! Warm Regards, Alexandre

"Charming hotel with excellent service"

23/07/2018

My husband and I stayed at this hotel near the Opera and the Louvre areas two different times in July (we traveled elsewhere in France in between stays). The rooms are comfortable but small, the location is great, but best, the service provided by Alexandre, the hotel Director, is absolutely excellent. He succeeded in making us feel welcomed and in providing the best service possible. Close to the Pyramides metro and within walking distance of the Opera and the Louvre. We definitely recommend a stay at this hotel.

13/07/2018

We made the right choice of staying at this hotel. Location is perfect, quiet and walking distance to the sites we wanted to see, Metro and RER stations, restaurants etc... The hotel is nice and VERY CLEAN, the bed and pillows are comfortable and our room has a big bathroom which is a plus in Paris. The room is small but good enough for me and my husband as we were out the whole day and would go to the hotel to just to sleep. we received a warm welcome from the hotel front desk staff Marie. Staff is very friendly, professional, always willing to help with a smile. Patrick gave us directions and arranged for shuttle to the airport. Alexandre, son of the owner is very nice, professional and gave us suggestions for restaurants, he also volunteered to give us best and economical ways to get to the places we wanted to go. Alexandre, Patrick and Marie made us feel like friends.. A really nice gesture is they gave us complimentary water and soft drinks to quench our thirst after a whole day of walking and touring around Paris. They even printed out our boarding passes. Alexandre gave us a small box of chocolates as a welcome gift. I would definitely stay here again.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mrs Aguilar! As you told me you left your review and it is very good, THANK YOU! It was a pleasure to welcome you and make you stay enjoyable. It was a pleasure to meet and your husband, I am glad you saw ''Les Bleus" winning in Paris!! I hope we will have the occasion to accomodate you on another time in Paris. We will remain at your disposal for any demand you might have in the future. Warm regards, Alexandre and all the team.

"Excellent location and fabulous service!"

11/07/2018

We stayed for 8 days at this hotel. Within a short walk to Opera and Louvre. The Pyramides metro stop is less than 200 yards away! Rooms are small but very well equipped. The best thing about this hotel is the staff - especially Alexander and Marie. They will do everything possible to ensure you are happy with your stay. We highly recommend this hotel.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mr Dawson! You told me you would and you did left a truly good review! We thank you for having taken time to express your feeling and help promote our hotel. The most funny is that you might leave another one as you are at this moment staying again with us after your cruise on the Loire river. :-) Anyway it was and it is a pleasure to have you staying with us and see that you fell like home with us. (almost!) We will remain at disposal to take care about you. Alexandre and all the team.

The Hotel was perfectly located, near the opera house and the Louvre. A few minutes walk to the Big Bus tour stop. The breakfast was excellent, the staff were attentive and always willing to assist. The room was clean and comfortable.

Great location, 10 min walk to the Louvre museum. Delicious breakfast buffet. Friendly front desk people, Patrick & Marie. Room a little small but it has a bigger bathroom with bathtub. Nice and clean hotel.

"Right Bank Charm!"

21/06/2018

This is a lovely, quaint hotel on the Right Bank. Good location. 10-15 minute walk to the Louvre. 5 minute walk to the Metro. Two minutes to Monoprix (Supermarket.) The staff was always very helpful and genuinely wanted to make sure our stay was perfect. Nice find!

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam, What a great comment, thank you very much. We see that our property succeed in fulfilling all your expectations. Thank you for the note about our team, indeed we try the best for our beloved guests! You have good taste because Monoprix is the best supermarket I know! So now you have two good reasons to come back: Monoprix and The Paris Louvre Opéra Hotel!! Warm Parisian Regards, Alexandre

"Wonderful experience!"

12/06/2018

We had an interior room but were very content with the space. The room was not large but we had plenty of area to move around, use the small desk, access the closet, lay out our open suitcases! AC and WiFi work great. The bathroom was spacious. The elevator was tiny, as are most Paris elevators. Breakfast was delicious and we always ate too much for the start of the day. The hotel was quiet, comfortable, very clean and well-maintained. The staff was spectacularly helpful and friendly. I will stay here again based on how good the staff is! There are lots of restaurants within a couple blocks, many are various types of Asian, but there are plenty of non-Eastern restaurants close-by also. A Monoprix is a long block away. L'Opera is about a 10 minute walk, as are the Louvre and Tuileries Gardens. I highly recommend this hotel! The price, also, is remarkably good for this area of Paris. We had planned to stay in an apartment, paid our money in advance, arrived to find an "apartment" barely habitable. We were so thankful that we could find this hotel immediately and we feel that the staff saved our vacation time in Paris.

"June 2018"

11/06/2018

I loved the location, walking distance to stores, the Louvre & the Musee D'Orsay. The staff was friendly. The Pyramides metro stop and Roissybus to CDG are close by also. Franprix near the Rue de Rivoli was the closest grocery store.

"Claustrophobic"

2
03/06/2018

We arrived having come from Amsterdam on the train which was a great experience. The booking was incorrect and had us there for only 1 night even though it clearly showed that we had paid for 3 nights in advance. Pity really because the room was so scary! As for most Paris hotels it was small but this was ridiculous you could barely walk around be bed to get to the bathroom which was also tiny. But the thing that really terrified me was that to get to the room from the minuscule lift was too heavy doors. I kept thinking what if we get out in a hurry, can we get through those doors and down those steep stairs! the other thing that disturbed me was the livid purple feature wall that was all you had to look at. On the positive side the guy at reception was very helpful and when we said the next morning that we had to leave was more than helpful.

AlexandreEgu, General Manager at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam Fergusson, You have shared your review and it is important to us, it makes us improve. Indeed regarding your reservation, I am still waiting for Expedia to get back to me as your reservation has been modified for one night (for the little explaination) We are glad to see that Guillaume was hepful at front desk, it is unusual to have guest that leave 2 night before the checkout date... We regret that our room 104 was not at your convenience. Personnaly I like this room, pretty large indeed for Paris...! (big window facing the street, wardrobe etc..) We usually have good reviews regarding this room. However we are conscious not to be able to please everyone! (especially with decoration!) We are sad that your experience was not a success, we hope to have the opportunity to find a more suitable room for next time..? We will remain at disposal for any demand you might have. Warm Regards, Alexandre and the team

"lovely Hotel But the door into our room"

29/05/2018

Stayed here for two nights 20, 21 of May 2018 . the room 101 was very clean ,the decor was very good with window looking out to the court yard which was fine . the bathroom was great too with the shower over a small bath , hairdryer . mini fridge for your cold drinks and the complimentary soft drinks Staff were very helpful too . in the room was TV , safe a lovely bed to die for lovely sleep in it .the only bad thing i can say about the room is that its a bit small and the door into the room does not open fully it hits the bed which is a fire hazard only one person at a time can get in and close the door and walk around the bed so the next person can do the same . this has to be seen too just not good enough .if it was not for the door we would of giving the hotel 10 out of 10 . sorry 5 out of 10

"Great location and good value... if you can get the street facing rooms."

08/05/2018

Best Western is always reliable and the location is great. While rooms are advertised as 14 sq m, they try to bum off the smaller rooms. Insist (politely, in a typically French manner) till they oblige and give you one in case you land up in a room with no space apart from your bed. The ones shown in pictures are street facing which have decent space but interior rooms are smaller and with no light or space. Once you get a proper room, this is a great hotel and very central. You can walk to most places or get a bus or metro (station is about 5 minutes walk). There are passages, shops and gardens around with plenty of choices to eat, drink or chill in a cafe roadside. Walking, this is about 8 minutes from the Opera and 12-15 minutes to the Louvre. The Royal Gardens are nearby too. Overall, this is the heart of Paris and all rooms are typically smaller than you expect. For a couple, this is great unless you get an apartment. Unlike many other places in Paris, which are unreliable and service is questionable, this is what you expect of good ol' Best Western.

"Excellent location"

06/05/2018

Nice hotel in an excellent location. A short walk to the Opera House and the Louvre. Also walking distance to shopping and the underground. The room itself was extremely small! My husband kept hitting his head on the TV every time he went to the bathroom. Otherwise the place was clean and the breakfast was very good.

"Ideal Location"

4
05/05/2018

Very good location, waliking distance to the Opera House, the Louvre, major stores. We even walked back from the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe (between 30 & 45 minutes walk). Plenty of South East Asian restaurants around (e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Corean). The only drawback was the room; small but the bed was firm and confortable and the staff very friendly. So in all, a very good hotel and affordable.

"Best in the area!!"

30/04/2018

I've stayed in a lot of hotels in this area, but I finally found the best one! Modern, lovely, high quality, wonderful service, helpful staff, and the location is really unbeatable, a quiet corner super close to everything. The price for the quality is unbeatable!! You could pay a lot more nearby for a very run down tiny room. Stay here!

When my family and I arrived we were greeted with a warm welcome by both Patrick at the front desk and Alexandre who is the manager. They treated us like family and made sure that we knew the ins and outs of Paris making great recommendations of where to visit. The rooms, although small, were clean and cozy with all amenities. The morning breakfast was really very good as well. Great location in the 1st Arrondisement walkable to lots of sites including the Louvre. Thank you Patrick and Alexandre for a lovely stay and we will definitely be back for another stay soon. Also, the chocolates from the place that has been making them for 100's of years were amazing!

Coming to Paris for the Rugby International(less said about that the better) we wanted to have a few days in Paris also and this hotel kept itself on top for position and super reviews. So convenient to travel by coach from Terminal 3 to The Opera terminus leaving just a short walk to hotel. We are so glad we believed the super reviews because we too loved everything about it from the excellent staff to the wonderful breakfasts, comfortable clean rooms and quiet refined boutique ambience. We will return!

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, What a pleasure to read you words...! All the teams joins me to thank you a lot. You are right to mention the Roissy Bus, the best alternive way to come to our property. (After the taxi, more expensive...!) You know I am almost as surprised as you to read such good reviews. Not that I do not trust my team' work but a lot of fake advices can be found around this site...! Thank you once again! Alexandre and all the team.

Very Friendly, Great location on a quiet street just off Avenue de l'Opera. Very close to metro Pyramides and a short walk to the Louvre. I travel to Paris several times a year. Usually stay at a different hotel, but will definitely come back to this property.

Stayed here for a weekend recently. Had a fantastic stay from arrival through all the way through to check out. Great location, right in the heart of the city. Room was very comfortable, nice bed, tea/coffee making facilities, fruit, water and biscuits all in the room. Excellent breakfast available, fresh fruit and pastries, eggs, cereals, breads, meats, cheeses, etc. great selection and variety all for €6, fantastic value! All the staff were incredibly polite and helpful, could not speak highly enough of them and the hotel. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Paris and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is going to Paris!

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review

As a client from many years, I only can confirm that the Paris Louvre Opéra is my home in Paris. The location and the people of this hotel are the best quality card to convince to choose it. Clean and comfort follow.

This is my go to hotel when visiting Paris. It is right in the heart of things, easy to get to from CDG, super friendly and helpful staff. Alexandre is awesome. Beds are comfy, plenty of hot water! Minutes walk to the Louvre, the Garnier, Galleries Lafayettv. Mono Prix just a block away as well as the Pyramid Metro Station. Lots ore restaurants near by. I just love staying here.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mrs Reif!! I was searching who this comment could belongs to!!! It is an annual pleasure to welcome you, such as last year with your friends. Indeed it is like welcoming someone from your family and/or friend (when you ask how is my sister for instance...). What a deep satisfaction to have you as a guest, I cannot really express! We will be honnored to welcome you back soon and try to make you discover things you do not know yet in Paris! Warm Regards, Alexandre and the team

"Great location, microscopic rooms"

24/01/2018

Staff seemed very nice, lobby area is OK. I booked a double room. Basically there was enough room for the bed and a desk in an alcove. You could barely walk around the bed. Bathroom was OK. I've seen Japanese pod hotels that provide more space .

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for your feedback. We regret that you did not enjoyed you room in our property and that the note was only judge about it. We guess that you have stayed in a standard room wich is pretty small indeed. Some people will not mind for a couple of nightswi without large bags. Indeed we will be please to help you organise your next venue in Paris, maybe in one of our superior rooms, more spacious. We remain at disposal for any demand you might have. Alexandre and all the team

"Small and Charming hotel in a great location!"

08/01/2018

Check in to this hotel was quick (we informed the hotel of a late check in due to a late evening/delayed flight). We booked the attic room which was good as it had more space than the standard rooms. The rooms were kept clean every single day with free mini bar. The front desk team were courteous and friendly. We even got tips for our onward destination city which was nice! The only thing I would improve on the bathtub/shower situation. The glass cover is not working as intented. The floor got so wet everytime we took our shower.

excellent location near from everything, 10 min walking to Louvre, 25 min promenade and you are on enchanting hill of Montmartre. Very nice hotels staff, little but cozy and clean room equipped with everything a traveller needs too. My next visit to Paris I perfer to stay in this hotel again.

19/12/2017

Perfect location on a quiet street close to Opera and the big shopping centre, but close to the river and art galleries too. Rooms small, bathroom a little dated, but perfectly fine - everything clean. No BBC on the TV. Not alot else to the hotel apart from the bedrooms, but it is situated in the heart of Paris, so no need to stay in!

Nice hotel in a very good location. But nothing special,we had to check in later then said in reservation, because our room wasn't ready. Standard clean rooms. Ok stuff, fluent in English. Price is more then alright so for that and location,I recommend it.

"Right in the middle of things:)"

28/11/2017

The rooms are a bit small, but staff is wonderful and are very helpful. The area has everything you need and most sights are in walking distance. There is a large public parking garage just down the road, so that solves parking issues if you arrive by car...

"Great location, poor service"

2
27/11/2017

Hotel staff seemed confused and unable to help with even the most basic requests - postage stamp purchase, restaurant reservations, etc. VERY small rooms, even for Paris. Good value and location, just disappointing staff.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, We are confused to read your review. Indeed we do think that you may have made a mistake regarding the hotel. If your are Mr Frisco, then we are really surprised with your words. We know that we cannot please everyone, but to this point... Indeed to my memory, I and especially all the staff tried to satisfy you regarding restaurant calls, we also offer you our stamps (you refused and choose to post it yourself...) Also the room 209 is a nice superior room...! Finally we did not see disappointment during you stay and would have react or try to find solution, as we always do... You will find my personnal email adress: [email protected] I will be greatfull to know more about what happened. I remain at disposal, Best Regards. Alexandre Manager

"Very well located"

14/11/2017

We spent 4 nights there. Very kind, helpfull and cooperative staff. Rather small rooms with limited space to store personal effects and clothing. Acceptable breakfast. Very well located! Just at walking distance of the Opera, the Louvre (as the name itself suggests) and many other interesting places. We'd select it again should we return to Paris for tourism, Reasonable price.

This is our second stay at your hotel with its convenient location, accommodating and friendly front desk and reliable housekeeping. Bed made, linen and towels replaced, etc., every day without fail and always done before we returned to our room. One incident which I initially thought as inconvenient was actually for our security...since the front desk was unmanned at the time, the front entrance was locked just for a short while until he returned. Thank you for being so mindful!

"Great location, fantastic staff"

This is a great location and the staff were very friendly and extremely helpful - would definitely stay again. Good choice of restaurants nearby and close to great shopping, metro station and attractions

12/11/2017

Great location as you can walk to the Louvre, the Opera, Galeries Lafeyette, and even Notre Dame. Rooms are small but everything is clean and modern. Staff are very helpful especially Alexandre who recommended everything from restaurants to visits to the Latin Quarter.

My daughter and i stayed at this fantastic hotel for 3 nights at the start of October, we were in the room on the ground for which was ideal for us providing easy access , the room had plenty of space and was very clean and tidy the beds were comfortable. I am so glad we stayed there and on next visit i will return.

"Perfect hotel, perfect location"

26/10/2017

We stayed there for 3 days and it was absolutely worth it. From the Opera you can pretty much walk to anywhere in Paris in 15-20 minutes so we really enjoyed it. Rooms were comfortable, clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was surprisingly good. A great choice for Paris.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mr Luis, What a great review! Thank you for giving us such a great note. You are right we are a great choice, every one should know it!! :-))I like also the word surprisingly for our breakfast, indeed we try to have the best rate quality. (6€ by booking directly!!) We will be pleased to welcome you back for your next venue in our property. Warm Regards. Alexandre

"Lovely staff, great location, small room"

25/10/2017

The hotel is conveniently located between two metro stops and walking distance to the Louvre and the Opera, among others. There are even offices for several of the “hop-on, hop-off” bus companies right around the corner. Melody at the front desk was extremely helpful as was her boss, the manager, a young man whose name I did not get. We booked directly with Best Western for a superior room. I don't think I would recommend a standard room if ours was a level up from that. As others have said the room was quite small but beautifully decorated and the king size bed was very comfortable. The large windows opened to allow fresh air in which we enjoyed. I would stay here again, perhaps in a larger room, if available, because the staff and location were superb.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Madam, What a pleasure to read your review. The description is almost perfect (missing one point ;-)) The name of the boss is me! Alexandre. Thank you for mentioning our names as we try hard to satisfy our guests! I am pleased to see that you wish to come back. Indeed if you decide so you can contact us directly by calling or mailling, the price will even be better than on the Best Western web site... We look forward to hearing from you. Best Regards. Hotel is clean, comfortable, and well located just off Rue de L'opera between the Louvre and the Opera house. Front desk people were extremely friendly and helpful with cafe recommendations. Guillome, Melody, and Alexander to be specific. Rooms are small, par for Paris. Bathroom modern, clean, and with all basic amenities, including nice large bath towels. I would book again.

"BW Paris Louvre Opera: Great Place To Stay While In Paris"

5
13/10/2017

Fantastic Hotel: Management and Staff are super friendly and extremely helpful. They provided many helpful recommendations regarding places to dine, shop, and visit. Great location right in downtown Paris within the 1st administrative district. Three minute walk to the Metro (Lines 7 & 14) and Bus pickups. Metro lines 7 & 14 provide can be used to reach other transfer points which give access to the RER if you wish to travel outside of Paris. Lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance to the hotel. For instance, Starbucks is five minute walk from hotel and the Royal Opera Cafe is only a four minute walk from the Hotel. We recommend purchasing the breakfast option. The breakfast is excellent and the breakfast wait staff will serve you your favorite coffee, tea, hot chocolate drink. There are only 20 rooms in this hotel. For Americans, the rooms might appear to be a bit small, but that is because we are used to American sized rooms. Room service was great. The refrigerator was restocked each day with water and soft drinks. Manager told us best rates in summer are during the month of August.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mr Gene, I would to thank you a lot for this great review. (and what a review) I see that you did not miss the plane, I also hope they gave you a good seat! It was a real pleasure for us to have you for few days and share your daily experience. You almost did every attractions that could be possible! I am pleased that even for an American, as you said, the size room was not an issue to you. (the others readers need to know that you size almost 2 meters!) It would be a great pleasure to welcome back on another occasion in our property, I know you will come back (more to visit like a parisian)! Also I deeply smile when you explain that Starbucks coffee cannot be compared to our morning coffee, Thank you! :-) We wish you all the best and see you next year. Alexandre and the team.

Every October we spend a week in Paris. This is probably the 10th consecutive year that we have stayed at this hotel. It is the quality of the property and most importantly the quality of the hotel team that keep us returning every year. If you want a quality, boutique hotel experience in the heart of Paris, this is the place!

"Excellent location! Excellent Customer Service and Ideal Room!"

02/10/2017

Just pure luck! That's how I came across this Gem! Long story short, at the last minute I had to find a hotel to stay for one night. It is Fashion Week in Paris and most hotels are all booked. I wanted to stay in Pyramides Opera. I came across this hotel while walking around the neighborhood and walked in the reception where Melodie pleasantly greeted me and confirmed an opening and a very affordable rate. I booked it!. At checked in I was greeted by Guillaume who was absolutely wonderful and helpful and courteous. That evening Arnaud who was working was equally helpful, I was insomniac and wide awake at 2am he was kind enough to provide me with a complimentary snack and juices he was just charming. The way I rate my hotels is first by Service Excellence and Cleanliness and second the overall look and quality of technology. I give Best Western Paris Louvre 5 stars out of 5 for Service Excellence/Cleanliness.I stayed in room #100 which was perfect! bed very comfy, TV looks new, shower pressure awesome and actually super roomy! I will definitely be back! this hotel has become one of my favorite!!!!!!! Thank you! Merci Beaucoup!

Great location we walked to all of the main attractions. Only disappointment was the room - booked and paid for a junior suite but this was just a small room accessed by stairs no lounge area and even bedroom and bathroom were smaller than most average rooms, we would have been better with a standard room.

09/09/2017

We arrived to a very warm welcome from Alexandre and quickly went to our room. The room was well furnished and a reasonable size for a Paris bedroom . It was spotlessly clean . Alexandre kindly gave us an idea where all the attraction were in relation to the hotel and recommended somewhere to eat . all the recommendations he gave us were superb and thank you again Alexandre The pick of the crop was Willys wine bar Lovely food and excellent wine , Not cheap bit for the quality I thought good value . All the staff were Warm Friendly and Helpful nothing was too much trouble . The Hotel is in a great location and if you like walking all the attractions are within walking distance or the Pyramidies stop is close by . I will defiantly use this hotel again, for both business and pleasure . See you again very soon Thanks for a wonderful stay Denise and John

"Great hotel spotlessly clean and ideal location"

5
04/09/2017

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. Whilst the rooms are quite small they are spotlessly clean and really well stocked with soft drinks, fluffy towels and toiletries. Great location between the Opera House and the Louvre - two train stations a few hundred metres away and an abundance of restaurants, cafes and shops. I feel we have uncovered a real gem of a place to stay which offers everything - location, cleanliness, friendliness and amazingly good price for central Paris. The only things that could be improved on are the pillows (ours were quite soft and thin) but that really is all. Great place .....

"Ideally placed; freindly staff"

02/09/2017

Hotel is small but ideally placed for visiting tourist sites & within walking distance of many local restaurants. Rooms small (but to be expected for centrally located hotel) but comfy beds, safes in room & effective aircon - handy as there was a mini-heatwave when we visited! Staff were friendly particularly the guy on reception (sorry I forgot to ask his name), about 30 ish with a beard who was really helpful & couldn't do enough for us!

and Pyramides station. All of the hop-on buses are accessible nearby at the Pyramides station. The Galeries Lafayette shopping area is also close by. There are several good Japanese restaurants located behind the hotel - great Ramen and noodles! We also walked along the river to the Latin Quarter where there is an abundance and variety of great cafes and restaurants. We travelled on the train to and from the airport. High recommended.

06/08/2017

The hotel is located at the great location walking distance to many tourist attractions. The staff are friendly, however, one night it seems like the hotel staff are unavailable (they have a temporary employee) so he was not really sure how can he help me.... Overall, it was a really nice and great hotel, will definitely visit again.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, Dear Madam, We are pleased to see that all in all you enjoyed our hotel. Indeed for 3 days we have employed a temporary receptionnist. I regret that he did not fulfill your needs, indeed we cannot have the perfection (like us :-)) ) at every time! I am very happy to see that you will come back to visit us! We cannot wait!! Do not hesitate to send us a mail on our box: [email protected] to get the best prices. (10% of the public rate, 50% on the breakfast). Even better if you already stayed... Have great holidays. 12/07/2017

My mother and I were staying in Paris alone just for three days, and we are thankful that we stayed here. The stuff members were the friendliest people we met in the whole city. We did not select the breakfast package with our stay, but we splurged just for one day. The meal was cheap in price (I think 14 Euro per person) and it was worth it. Yes the rooms are small, but personally we loved it. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I would also recommend this hotel because of its central location. We would stay here again.

Alexandre was frequently at reception and he could not have been more helpful. His restaurant recommendations were exactly what we were looking for and he was consistently pleasant and attentive. The location is excellent - only a few blocks from the Opera or from Place Vendome. This is a very expensive part of an expensive city so the prices are quite reasonable. The rooms are small even by Parisian standards but the beds are large and comfortable and the bathrooms are modern. We would definitely consider returning to this hotel if we wished to visit this part of Paris

"Magnifique!"

The customer service was exceptional. The front desk person was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was excellent. Walking distance to the Louvre and the Seine. The room was very comfortable.

"Excellent location, cozy rooms"

30/06/2017

Location, service and cleanliness are excellent. Rooms are cozy and bathrooms and closets are tiny. While in Paris the location of your hotel is very important. This BW is at walking distance of many atractions and subways.

"Overall good experience, shower can be very small"

29/06/2017

Location: excellent, close to subway stations, Opera, Champs Elysees, Notre Dame, etc. Breakfast: reasonable for the price. Room: Tiny but acceptable, except for closet that is so small that hangers do not fit. Bathroom: small, low toilette, some rooms do not have bathtub, so that the shower is a small space, somewhat unconfortable. Request a room with bathtub. Service: very good. Very welcoming and friendly. Wifi: excellent

"Paris hotel"

25/06/2017

The location, service and cleanliness could not have been better. The only negative was our room was small--but we didn't go to Paris to spend time at the hotel--we quickly adjusted. We would definitely stay there again!

"Nice hotel!"

Good service Good location Good breakfast I was happy to travel to Paris for 5 days. The staff were friendly and helpful to me who did not speak English well. The room was a little small, but it was a good hotel with no complaints other than that.

The Best Western Paris Louvre Opera is very well placed. The staff are helpful and welcoming. The room good and breakfast too. In all I really enjoyed my stay and hope to return. I would have liked to stay longer.

Hotel was great. TripAdvisor review system, not so much. It blew up on my screen name, Now I have to rekey everything Hotel plusses: Best bathroom we've ever had in Paris. Very nice room, small (it's Paris), but very nice. Staff very helpful about dinner option in the area, setting up car to CDG, etc. Only minuses would be locking the door when reception staff leave the desk and breakfast was right in the small lobby, no separate location.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for your feed back on our property. Indeed we are pleased to that your experience in our property was a success. Trip Advisor is great if the reviews are true as yours, and also if the responses are true also as mine! It is also a great mean to improve ourselves and promote the hotel also. We are well surprised about our bathroom, because it has been a while since we did not change them (about 10 years.), but it is through that they are getting older in a great manner, thanks to our maintenance and cleaning service! The hotel will be refresh with paintings and decoration, the bathrooms will follow later. I hope to have the pleasure to welcome you in the future ones, what will indeed be your reaction!! I am great that my team has succeed in helping you regarding your demands, we like being concierge also! I will check with my team because the door should be locked when they are out! Regarding the breakfast area we cannot do anything as our boutique hotel is too small...:-(

The hotel is positioned in a lovely par oft Paris well situated for trips to the Louvre and Notre Dame. Clean and tidy well equipped rooms, albeit a little on the compact side. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast good but limited gluten free option unless arranged beforehand.

Great location and very friendly staff. Enjoyed the daily breakfast as well. Rooms are very very small, but it's Paris. Overall enjoyed my stay and would recommend it for those looking to stay in the Opera area.

"Quiet and convenient"

5
01/06/2017

The location was central to many of the sites we wanted to visit, the metro and buses were close by, as were many cafes and shopping. The desk staff were friendly and helpful and the room was clean and well taken care of. The street was quiet as was our room so close to Avenue de l'Opera. We were very comfortable there.

"Compact and Bijou"

01/06/2017

The hotel is in an excellent location just of Avenue Opera. 5 minutes walk from Opera and 10 from the Louvres. There is a Metro station very near as is the Hop on Hop off bus office . Excellent if you are on limited time. The staff were excellent and were very helpful. Alexander, the hotel manager , is very good and part of the family running this hotel. The staff speak English ( and many other languages too ) . We booked through Booking.com which although was very convenient you are more likely to get a better deal ( and room ) if you book direct. Our room number 206 was tiny but it had everything we needed. A bigger room would have been welcome but we should have booked direct. I would have no hesitation in recommending the hotel and we will definitely be back .

"Good location, small room, but large bed, kindly friendly personal"

Near good supermarket Monoprix, cafe, brassieres, passages. Metro Piramides, office hip on- hip off buses. Good location for walking tours. From hotel to Louvre - 7 minutes, to Opera - 5 min, to Vandome place - 7 min, Magdalena church - 10 min. Excellent place for vacation.

Excellent hotel according to price/quality. Nice large junior suit on the top floor with king size bed. Tasteful breakfast. Friendly and professional service at the reception desk We recommend this hotel in the centre of busy historical Paris Nicole

This is a small hotel in a great location close to the Louvre and public transportation. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff was helpful and gracious. We would highly recommend this hotel for a great central location at a reasonable price.

"Wonderful Hotel experience..."

5
13/05/2017

The Staff was excellent in meeting our needs. We had adjoining rooms that were wonderful, clean, quiet, and beyond our expectations. The Hotel was a major part in making our trip to Paris everything we had hoped for. Again, the Staff was wonderful and represents exactly what a Corporate Office strives for.

"Excellent location in the heart of Paris..."

4
12/05/2017

The super location of this hotel is the very best feature....all other services and amenities were in line with Best Western standards and expectations for a three-star hotel in the middle of Paris...perfectly adequate for sleeping when not touring...the room was small for two people, but that was the trade-off for the location....

"Two Days in Paris in May"

4
10/05/2017

Staff was helpful but safe was broken in room and could not be fixed while we were in the room for two days. Bed was comfortable. Must bring power adaptors for charging or using any 110v items. Price for breakfast was too expensive and seating uncomforable.

"Good location"

3
08/05/2017

The hotel is walking distance to major attractions. Along the vicinity of the hotel are many boulangeries, cafes, convenience stores and asian restaurants. Hotel rooms are clean, amenities are complete and the area is considerably safe and quiet. Rooms are small as with other paris hotels and safe is too small for laptops and other big gadgets. But overall, the hotel is in a very good location, everything u need is nearby and beds are comfortable.

"Perfect location, silent rooms"

07/05/2017

Have been here also before and will be back again. Very helpful and friendly personnel. Only negative side was the lack of everything at the breakfast one morning. The lady normally in charge of the breakfast was not present and the person replacing her was not really capable of managing this task.

"Great location"

03/05/2017

The location is perfect, a lots of restaurants and cafe in the area. A few minutes walk to the Louvre, hop on hop off station, tourism office. The room is small, elevator is also small and even the hallway. Breakfast is available at the lobby.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for having taken time to leave you feeling about our property. Indeed we are pleased to see that your enjoyed our property and your stay in it. We cannot protest about the size of our room (average for Paris...) however our elevator is big for Paris, especially in a old building!! We hope to have the pleasure to welcome you back in a bigger on your next venue. Warm Parisian regards. Alexandre

"Super central location"

03/05/2017

We were delighted to find this convenient hotel which totally fulfilled our needs in paris for a short break. Staff were helpful and pleasant and breakfasts excellent. It was in a quiet location so we were able to sleep undisturbed. Nearby we found a good selection of restaurants and shops and it is right by Pyramides metro station. Its 5 minutes walk to L'Opera which we found to be one of the highlights of our trip!

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review

28/04/2017

I chose this hotel based on other Tripadvisor reviews, and now I will add my words of praise for this unassuming and extremely welcoming hotel. The duty manager Alexandre couldn't have done more to make me feel at home. It is clear he strives to make guests want to return! The room's mini-fridge includes two bottles of water and two cans of soda (one of of Pepsi and Seven Up) complimentary!! The wifi was excellent. The hotel is just off the Avenue de l'Opera and just two blocks or so from the Pyramides metro stop. LOTS of charming bistros in the area. In short, no unpleasant surprises at this hotel. The hotel is an older building but the bathroom was clean and modern.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at Best Western Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Mr Sm..., I would like to thank you a lot regarding the very nice (and sincere) review! Also I would like personnaly to thank you also regarding the note you left on my desk and the one dollar coin that will serve me as a lucky charm during my futur hospitality years! It was a pleasure to welcome such a very nice diamond member! It is even more an honnor that you felt like home! We cannot receive a better comment. We hope that you figured out the issue regarding you IPhones! We will be pleased to welcome you back in our property and help you organise you future venue. We wish you all the best. Alexandre and all his team. The Managment

"Unbeatable customer service"

5
21/04/2017

All of the employees at this hotel are extremely helpful and go out of their way to provide excellent service. Alexandre in particular was one of the nicest and most helpful people I've ever encountered at any hotel and seemed as though he was always looking for ways to make our stay more enjoyable. If I were to go back to Paris in the future, without question I'd stay at this hotel again. The location is also perfect for someone trying to see Paris for the first time and wanting to be within walking distance of all of the main attractions.

"Great location!"

19/04/2017

This Best Western Hotel is located on a quiet street (and my room faced the street) close to shopping, cafes, the metro etc. While the accommodations are super basic, no luxury here, the hotel is kept clean and tidy.

"Great location very helpful nice staff"

5
15/04/2017

The hotel is located very near the subway about two minutes on foot. And of course they are also very near spot such as the Louvre, opera, D'orsay. For those into Japanese or Korean food, rue sainte Anne (st Ann road) just a stone thrown away. There are so many authentic choices for Ramen sushi or Korean cuisine. Really just across the street . But the thing that impressed me the most is the helpfulness of the staff from the welcoming to arranging transport or invoicing they are very effective and try to help you as much as they could. The room size was not so big so this is the only thing that wasn't ideal. But well we are in the very center of Paris anyway . was a little bit too small. I stay in the superior which is one level above the cheapest one and I could not open my two suitcases together on the floo, I had to do it one by one. Lastly for the price I think staying in this area for this price and the level of service you will get is very worth it.

"5 night stay in Paris"

10/04/2017

The hotel is in a sensational location. Very close and convenient to shops, restaurants, Louvre, metro, Hop On Hop Off Bus and other sites. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. On the negative the rooms were very small and we could not have two suitcases open at the same time. We were in a front room on the second floor and it was very noisy.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Mrs Debbie, We would like to thank you the review you left few days ago. We see that all in all you enjoyed your stay in Paris. You are rigth to speak about the hop on bus as it is a great way to discover Paris (also we have discount on front desk...!) We regret that you found your room noisy. Indeed the street des Moulins is usually quite. Regarding the bulding we will investigate and find a solution to reduce the noise from room to room. Thank you again for the feedback. Warm Regards. Alexandre

14/11/2016

At our arrival to this small but nice hotel we faced problem with the reservation made through Travel Agency (it was not confirmed) Far from letting us down, the hotel manager himself made all arrangements possible to realocate us into a nearby hotel, he even accompanied us to make sure we would be well attended. I believe that problems might occur but only reputable firms are able to respond. This makes the difference for future recommendations. The assistance received from best western has made the difference and surely we will trust and recommend it.

The was a small little hotel very close to the Louvre Museum, and many great restaurants, stores and much more. You can walk around this area and explore for hours. The hotel and rooms are very clean and the services was great. The room are a little small and cozy, but have all you need as you will be spending most of your time outside exploring the city and taking in the beautiful sights around Paris. Great hotel, great location for it price!!!

This was a few minutes walk from the Lourve, tonnes of stores, cafe, restaurants etc....The service was fantastic and the breakfast was good. Food everywhere was expensive so getting it at the hotel was very cheap. The rooms are small, however very clean. If you want a clean place, great location at a great price, this is perfect. If you want a big room and hotel frills, pay lots more in this area.

27/09/2016

Nice location, clean room. The only complaint is that shower did not work properly so I had to call front desk. Try to eat breakfast in the bakery in the front of the hotel, pretty good and reasonable prices compare with hotel breakfast, too pricey.

"Lovely boutique hotel in a great but quiet location."

29/08/2016

Excellent boutique hotel located in the opera district. Spotlessly clean, excellent staff (Alexandre was particularly helpful). Breakfast simple but more than adequate. Rates good. Rooms quite spacious by Paris standards - had Junior Suite. Wifi a bit weak although we were on the top floor.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Mr Hempel, We would like to thank you a lot for this great review. We are pleased to see that your stay all in all was at your convenience. 17/08/2016

Location is quite good. Rooms are super small (it's normal for Paris, so just take into account, it's not that bad). Smell in the room. Very noisy, I could hear everything that other guests were doing in their rooms. Internet didn't really work. Nothing offered for holding a BW Diamond tier, even a breakfast.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Mr Logachev, We regret to hear that your stay was not at your convenience, as we try to satisfy each demand, even the last minute ones. Regarding the smell, I will see at happens in this comfort room. Please note that as you have resered through booking.com, nothing is to be offered. The idea is to reserve with Best Western web site or directly with the hotel (Best price: you would have paid 10€ less: 58€ for the last minute offer) so a upgrade or a breakfast can be offered in that case. Regarding Internet, I am surprised as our fast debit (fibre) should be working fine. If you decide to come back, we will be pleased to allocate you in a bigger room of offer a breakfast by booking directly with us! Best Regards. Alexandre

"Really nice place to stay."

Good location - easy access to Metro and a number of sites to visit. Nice, clean rooms, though some are a bit too small and have very limited storage space for unpacking. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast with nice place to sit and eat it. Alexandre, the concierge, was wonderfully friendly and helpful. He made our stay even more memorable.

11/08/2016

We had an excellent stay in this small yet excellent hotel with my wife and our youngest kid. Recently renovated, top quality equipments (beds, furniture, bath room). We often stay in Paris with the family, for 3-4 days during the summer, generally in this area, we've been to several similar category hotels but this one is in our top 5. Friendly and helpful staff. Very clever idea: free minibar ! Breakfast is simple and could be improved. Will be back.

"Well located hotel; clean and no nonsense"

09/08/2016

We stayed at the Paris Louvre Opera for two nights at the end of July with our two children of 7 and 5. We had two rooms that shared a door separating them both from the landing of the hotel. This worked very well with the children, so they could be separate, with their own bathroom. The rooms are really pretty small (we had, I think, 103 and 104) with not a great deal of standing room around the bed. However the rooms were clean and looked to be relatively recently updated and the bathroom was absolutely fine with plenty of hot water and water pressure. The room faced onto a relatively quiet street and the air conditioning worked well. The hotel is within easy walk of things like the Louvre as well as local public transport links. Overall, I would recommend and it did work for our family.

08/08/2016

All the staff we encountered at reception were super friendly and helpful. Small room (room 210) but clean and we didn't really need much more space as we were out and about all day, every day during our visit to Paris. On a nice quiet street so getting to sleep and staying asleep was never an issue. Short two minute walk to the main drag for taxis, hop-on/hop-off buses and about a ten minute walk to the Louvre. Would definitely recommend if you're coming to Paris and planning on spending your time exploring the city :)

This is a great little hotel in the heart of the Opera District. We have stayed at 5 different BW Hotels in Paris , but definitely prefer this one. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating! Rooms are small, but clean and efficient. Location is superb! Price is reasonable. Good towels too!

27/07/2016

Great central location in easy walking distance to all the major sites. The rooms, whilst small, were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. There was a mini bar stocked with free water and soft drinks, which was much appreciated. I didn't sample breakfast, so cannot speak to that.

First I have to say that the managment (Alexander) is amazingn as well as the receptionist Melody but are so friendly and accomadating and exceed any expectations I have ever had. They go out of their way to make sure you know how and best ways to get to your destinations. We cannot thank you enough. 15/07/2016

We were one of six couples staying in this location two nights prior and two nights after a week long barge trip out of Paris. Melody, Alex and their entire staff could not have been more accommodating with all of us arriving and departing with too much baggage, special requests, reservations... Of course the rooms are small but great beds, fresh duvets and big fluffy towels await your weary soul. You are only steps away from whatever your heart desires and my favorite - "Monoprix" is just across the street! We would absolutely stay here again and feel we are returning to see friends. Merci beaucoup, Best Western!

"Disappointed in the end"

28/06/2016

Although the room was very small the ambiance was lovely and the location as great. Short walk to louvre, opera , and metro station. Staff was very nice. However when I realized the day after my stay that I left an item in my room, the hotel has been unresponsive to my request to pay to have it returned. I was very disappointed. I am a best western frequent traveler and usually find their staff extremely helpful.

"Wonderful Little Hotel"

23/06/2016

My husband and I stayed here for 6 nights in late May, 2016, and had a great experience. Our room, though small like most Paris hotel rooms, was nicely decorated with tall ceilings which made it seem bigger. Everything in the building was spotlessly clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The young woman who is at the reception desk in the daytime was especially considerate of us in getting our room ready at noon so we could get some rest after a long overnight flight. We very much appreciated this. The hotel is on a quiet street so noise is not a problem. It is only 1 block from a metro station and 3 blocks from the Louvre. The location is perfect. We will definitely stay at this hotel if we return to Paris.

"We had a most enjoyable stay here, stayed for two nights, recommended."

Stayed for two nights when we flew into Paris from Atlanta, great place, comfortable and close to the sights! Breakfast was decent, comfortable beds and close to transport hubs, a little noisy sometimes in the evening.

AlexandreEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, Dear Madam, We would like to thank you for the review left last week on Trip Advisor. We are pleased to see that, all in all, you have enjoyed your stay in our property. This hotel is perfectly located for walkers in the heart of scenic Paris. The rooms are small, but have all the conveniences. There's even a small bar fridge with free pop/water. Located on a quiet street, with easy access to may stores, sights and restaurants - this hotel has a small understated front entrance. You really feel like you're living in the heart of this great city. Highly recommended.

Dear Madam, We would like to thank you for your great review left earlier in Trip Advisor. The great note will help us also! No hesitation in recommending this hotel. It's conveniently located from Eurostar (10 mins in a cab), it's very clean and tidy, and the English-speaking staff are courteous and very helpful. The hotel is also within ten minutes walk of the Opera House.

"Wonderful staff"

18/05/2016

Room small as befitting a 17th century mansion, but clean, and staff excellent. Good English spoken but I was able to try out my rudimentary French; reception staff helped with booking taxis and with my access issues. No onsite restaurant but many good eateries in close proximity. Excellent free wifi. Would thoroughly recommend.

We had the opportunity to stay at this hotel for a night and also full day Although we were very apprehensive but when we arrived their by Taxi we were greeted by Melody the morning Receptionist and we had some issue with our room bed booking which to our surprise Melody immediately took on to herself to get the other room cleaned and ready for us within in half an hour Seeing how clueless we were she wrote detailed directions of trains and metro so we would not get lost The same evening we happened to meet Alexander who was there from late afternoon What a wonderful and helpful person he is We kept bothering him win question. and. he was kind enough to help us The room is cozy and very nice and the beds are very comfortable over all I would that this place was a wonderful It even had a beautiful French balcony with tall doors opening out We would definitely stay there again"amazing location by the way about ten minutes walk from the Louvre It has a lot of Japanese goof places around it You can even do hot tea and coffe in the room the staff is friendly the place is spotless I love the people they make you feel at home Beautiful gem lovely people Great hotel for families as well as for business travellers

"Intimate Gem"

We spent two nights in this intimate gem. This is a small hotel that is well-located where the manager-concierge Alexander provides excellent and caring attention to every detail, whether it is giving the guest detailed directions, making very appropriate and personalized restaurant recommendations, assisting with transportation needs to the airport, to seeing that every detail of the morning breakfast is perfect. I highly recommend it.

06/04/2016

Having read previous reviews, I was expecting a small room, and it was, but it had the biggest most comfortable bed. Massive window overlooked the street, which was incredibly quiet given its position just off the busy Avenue de l'Opera. Hotel itself was quiet, no banging doors, or lift operating sounds, and even the bathroom extractor fan didn't wake up half the neighbourhood. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. All staff friendly. Great location, really easy to get around by foot or public transport, with a few decent places locally to eat ( try Bistrot Victoires 5 - 10 mins walk, really cheap, for Paris). Anyone with a taste for running, superb location to get some runs in before breakfast and see the sights before they get too busy. What beats running under Tour Eiffel as the sun comes up with no one around? Suffice to say, great hotel for the Paris marathon runners.

AlexEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sirs, We would like to thank you for very nice comment left on Trip Advisor. It was a pleasure to welcome you for this very special occasion of the Marathon 2016. We hope that you have enjoyed running this year and that everything went as you expected. We are pleased to see that you have enjoyed our property in the room 315. If you come back next time we will allocate you the room 209 wich has bigger windows than 315! We are also glad to see that you have well slept in our new beds and that you have appreciate our breakfast (especially for a runner!). It will be a pleasure to welcome you back for the marathon of the year 2017 or before! Warm Parisian regards. Alexandre

02/04/2016

Hotel has very friendly helpful staff. Children feel very welcome. Small, clean and well located. Well kept, clean and nicely decorated. There are 20 rooms so it never feels busy and it's very quiet at night despite its central location. The interconnecting rooms work very well as the 2 totally separate rooms share a third front door but have their own totally private lock too.

AlexEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review

Perfectly situated hotel next to Opera Garnier, Gallery Lafayette and a few minutes from Louvre. Bus towards Musee de Orsay one minute from the hotel. Nice, but very small rooms. We booked a superior room which was supposed to be spacious. It was not. You could hardly walk around the bed. Also many of the rooms have windows towards a tiny inner yard - so you felt like being in a box. But the service was perfect. Very helpful people working there.

AlexEgu, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review

I've spent several weeks in this hotel while working in Paris and was extremely pleased with it. Excellent central location, just off the underground station Les Pyramides and with lots of good shops and restaurants within walking distance. Located in a very calm street and I've always slept perfectly well. Very clean rooms with small but comfortable bathrooms, kind and friendly staff with lots of personal attentions such as free newspapers and magazines and I got even a box of chocolates at New Year. I've been more than satisfied with the way I was looked after.

"Central location, friendly & helpful staff"

13/01/2016

I have been to Paris 4 times already and this is my favourite hotel so far. Its location is very central and there are many tourist attractions like the Opera House, Louvre museum, and Jardin de Tuileries. Last Summer, I stayed at a less central location hotel and due to the limited time before I had to go to the airport, I used Uber to go to a few of the tourist attractions. I think if I stopover again in Paris, I would stay here again as the attractions are within walking distance. Also, If you book more than a week in advance online, you can save 25-30% off the room rate. The front desk staff are usually very helpful and explained how I can go to the museums and also gave me a map. The staff on duty on the last day of my stay was extra nice and friendly. He is from the Pyrenees and recommends I go to his hometown which he said is a beautiful place i.e. when I visit my friend again in South of France but unfortunately I'm not good at recalling French names of places. He brought my luggage to the storeroom and already booked a taxi for me to the airport when I came back from my walkabout. Some walk-in customers came in to inquire about the rooms and he was very courteous to them too. Well, I wish more hotels have good customer service like this one!

"Great location, Room size"

3
25/12/2015

The hotel is centrally located and with in easy walking distance of museums and shopping the staff was friendly and efficient. The breakfast was fair for the price, but if all you want is coffee and pastry there are two bakeries within 200 feet which have a better selection and will save you a few euros. The rooms are small which is the norm for europe. That said I had two rooms, 418 and 419, for my family room 418 was at least 33% bigger than room 419 which even by european standards was small, but I paid the same rate for both rooms.

parislouvreopera, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Sir, We would like to thank you for your feed back. We have well noticed your feeling on our breakfast, indeed we recommend Julien next to our property to take away some pastries and coffee. We also recommend all our guest to reserve directly with us by the phone or on our website, as the rate are lower and the breakfast is sold at half price! Regarding our rooms, both 418 and 419 are rooms on the same category. It is true that the room 419 is slightly smaller, this is due to the age of the bulding (400 Years!) We hope that you have managed to accomodate yourself with your family. We would like to inform you that we do have connecting rooms that are bigger than the one reserved and that could be more at your convenience for the next time... We remain at your disposal for any needs you might have in the futur. We wish you a Happy New Year to you and all your family. Best Regards. Alexandre

"Great location and smart hotel"

05/12/2015

The main plus point of the hotel is its location. Quite close from Pyramid Metro Station. Since your days in Paris will be completely hyper-active in terms of visiting its numerous attractions...this is surely a great advantage. Louvre Museum is within walking distance (and yes....as you know, walking is the key as you are travelling in European cities :-) Tourist information bureau being across the road is an added advantage for the 1st timer. The neighborhood has many Japanese restaurants and those famous Cafes. Special mention about the Hotel staff...extremely helpful and maintains uniform level of service 24/7. Hotel room is rather tiny even for 2 people but smart enough!! By the way....who goes to Paris to stay in the hotel room? ;-)

27/11/2015

Myself and my boyfriend picked this hotel for a weekend trip to Paris this November. The location is absolutely perfect for everything you want to see or do in Paris. Pyramides metro station is a two minute walk from the hotel and from there it's so quick and easy to get to all of the main attractions and districts. The hotel is located just off Avenue de L'Opera which itself is full of bars and restaurants. The Louvre is a five or ten minute walk. This is easily the most comfortable bed either of us have ever slept in, ever. As soon as your head hits the pillow you fall asleep. AMAZING. Room cleaned and towels replaced. Very clean and tidy room. Toiletries are provided, bathroom is a good size, very modern and absolutely spotless. There is a safety deposit box included in the price of the room which is super handy. Staff are very friendly and very helpful. I have absolutely no complaints about this hotel and I would recommend it to anybody looking to stay in Paris centrally without spending a fortune.

"Perfect location"

5
22/10/2015

We spent three nights at the hotel. Our room, although rather small, was extremely clean and had great towels and even wash cloths! It provided all we needed after long days touring the city. The breakfast for 12 Euros was very good. There was a wide selection and was much better than going out to a bakery. The location was near the Metro but off on a quiet side street. There were lots of restaurants close by and it was close enough to the museums. We felt that it was a perfect place and would not hesitate in returning nor recommending it.

"Disappointing stay"

3
21/10/2015

During our visit to Northern France, we stayed in 4 different hotels from 3 different chains - and this hotel was, not only the most expensive, but also the most disappointing. The room, although clean and serviceable, was extremely small and - as an interior room - quite hot and stuffy. Choice for breakfast on the first morning was limited at best - but fine on day 2. Staff were, on the most part, were polite and helpful, but due to language barrier, one member of staff came across rather abrupt. I will find a different hotel on my next stay in Paris.

parislouvreopera, Directeur général at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Mrs Diana, We regret to see that our property did not meet your expectation. It is always very unpleasant to see that we did not succeed in making your stay enjoyable. I have shared your advice with the team to see what happened but also to improve as you pointed an "abrupt" service wich I cannot admit. We thank you for your time and your feedback. Best Regards. Alexandre

"Paris stop over"

3
20/10/2015

Ok. So Paris is going to cost you. This one is quite central and quite well located. We found parking indoors at 23€ or the night. Otherwise parking is impossible. The bed is big and comfortable and bathroom well appointed. There is a lounge beneath a mezzanine bedroom. Has all the essentials but all looking a little tired and dated. Not bad and quite Ecco omicron for Paris

"Feel like home"

12/10/2015

When you are to stay in an Hotel for more than one week, the only thing you need more is to feel like home. During my last long stayng at the Best Western Paris Louvre Opera I feel like spending one week with my family. The room was clean and comfortable, the service is gentle and rapid, the staff is kind and discreet. What else?

"Location & Service"

"Reasonable Hotel"

27/09/2015

Rooms are adequate, as long as they don't put you in the sole basement room; room 100. Staff very helpful. Breakfast surprisingly very good. Location very convenient. Many sites are within walking distance. Best bathroom we had in Europe.

"6 night stay"

17/09/2015

This hotel is in a wonderful location. Would definitely come back. Alexandre and Melody were exceptional. My friend left her passport and credit cards in the taxi and they were unbelievable with their help and compassion. The Best Western is clean and free wifi which are two things important to me.

"Great hotel, great location!"

5
16/09/2015

My boyfriend and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary and our first visit to Paris (that wasn't euro Disney). The hotel has a great location easily within walking distance to all the main attractions. Visiting in December we enjoyed visiting the department stalls all dressed for Xmas. There was also a Christmas market which was lovely. The hotel staff were lovely very helpful. The hotel rooms were small but from what I've read that is standard in paris. The hotel is perfect for a base to expire the city. We throughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again.

"Fantastic Location and Staff"

5
15/09/2015

We are experienced travelers and I can truly say in all my travels that I have never seen such a small hotel room ever. With that being said, the staff and the location made up for it. Our king size bed was very comfortable, the air conditioning was great, and the black out curtains were very nice. The bathroom was also very very small but clean. The elevator can barely hold two adults. Wifi was very good and was free. We did not eat here as so many good restaurants very close. We bought an all day metro past and traveled very easily anywhere in Paris we wished to go. A few blocks to the Pyramides Metro stop. Hotel is located 2 min walk to the beautiful Opera House (recommend taking the English guided tour) and the Louvre. We hopped on the Metro and went to dinner at a great little tavern style restaurant near Notre Dame called Au Bougnat (two nights) as the service was excellent and the food wonderful. I want to thank Alexandre who helped us countless times from the front desk at the Hotel. He was invaluable. The first night there they called a taxi for us to go to dinner. I accidently left my umbrella in the taxi. When we returned to the Hotel after dinner, I found that the taxi driver had brought it back to the Hotel for me. What a lovely thoughtful gesture!! Hotel has twenty rooms. Location can not be beat and all the staff very friendly.

"Affordable and quiet hotel "

4
15/09/2015

This is an functional ,affordable option for Paris : rooms are the typical small European style but clean and very quiet . Staff is helpful and fluent in English . It is 1/2 mile walk to the louvre and a block from the metro . They offer breakfast but there are several close cafes if you want a quick coffee and pastry in the morning and there are many lunch options as well .A small consideration may be the opera area is a business center and in general not " charming ". Although the area did not feel unsafe at night, it's not a place for an evening leisurely stroll. The hotel is on a small side street a block from the metro and can be initially hard to locate .

Great place to stay, very central but quiet. We stayed in a superior room and had a good sized bed. The room was very big but the hotel isn't new, it's in central Paris so the buildings are not big. The size was as expected. We would definitely go back and stay there again.

I just wanted to say a big "Merci" to Alexandre and the wonderful staff at the Best Western Paris Louvre Opera. During our holiday we stayed there two times once at the beginning of our holiday and again at the end. We chose the hotel because of its central location, and because it was more like a boutique hotel. The hotel facilities were excellent, but what made the stay more enjoyable was the helpful staff who assisted us to find our way around Paris and also recommended restaurants etc. It was the perfect combination of Location with everything at your finger tips, and delightful staff who made us feel very welcome. Many thanks again, we would go back anytime, as it was so easy to get around Paris from such a great location, and you could easily walk to the louvre or Opera house. Thank you again- we look forward to our next visit. Jackie & Robert from Australia

Wife and I booked a vaca through go-today.com. They have packages lined up. We did London Paris Rome. Had a great stay at this hotel. Breakfast was delicious. AC was a wall mounted unit that was dripping. Small room but nice. We had a bifold door that opened up to a great view of the Sacre-Coeur. Walking distance to everything. I was nervous that we wouldn't have an authentic experience staying at a BW but it was great. It was June 2014 when we stayed there.

Just back from a mini break at this lovely hotel situated 2 mins walk from the louvre museum. Room was huge, staff lovely and so helpful, we have booked again for April. Great location. The hotel is small with just a handful of rooms. Very clean, an all you can eat style buffet is set up every morning. Our room had air con too.

As a past resident in Paris for a number of years, I'm sure it's almost impossible to find another hotel comparable to this one, value wise. Also, the breakfast and coffee are both great and help well with travel budget. The rooms are rather tiny but then it's Paris. Definitely will return to this hotel again.

I stayed with my family of five for five nights in August. Great time overall. Hotel is very clean and well located. Very close to Pyramides Metro station and many good restaurants and stores. Easy walking distance to Notre Dame, Museum D'Orsay, and The Louvre. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with restaurant, store and travel recommendations - all were great. We stayed in three rooms - family room setup and top floor suite (highly recommend). Good value for the $

I enjoyed my stay at the Best Western Louvre Opera. The name really says a lot about the property. It is close to the Louvre and the Opera in Paris and has the amenities I can trust to find in a Best Western affiliated hotel. The hotel is actually a "boutique" style hotel, small and located in a small street in an old area. But the room, although quite compact, was very up to date and comfortable. I was happy to have excellent air conditioning and have a quiet place to relax. I recommend!

Very clean, but small room, functional bathroom, bed was comfortable. Very close to Garnier Palace (reason for my stay) and the metro to everywhere. Nice places to eat within walking distance. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

Good hotel, great location in a quiet side street halfway between the Louvre and Opera house. Our room was surprisingly small/tiny considering it was described as queen-sized but was spotlessly clean and functional for a short siight-seeing leisure trip.

Beautiful surroundings, ideal location and welcoming and professional staff, this hotel is excellent value for money; breakfast is tasty with a good, healthy choice and service which is attentive but unobtrusive. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the ambiance quiet and conducive to relaxation or concentrated work.

The hotel was difficult to find on a side street. People asked for directions were not aware of where the hotel was located. The room was extremely small and the breakfast offered did not provide much to choose from

The hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance of the Louvre, Orangerie, Champs Elysees, Petit and Grand Palais, and the "happening:" Marais area. There is a branch of the Paris tourist office close by, which was very helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again on my next trip to Paris.

"Over priced"

The room was cramped and tiny. Had a problem with water leaking from ceiling which seemed to bedevil staff. The location however, was close to metros and the Louvre. So we made the best of our situation but was less than ideal as we had just left Reims, France from a stay at a Best Western that was 180 degrees better and less costly. Also, hotel was on a small indiscreet alley and difficult to locate. Some of the staff tried to do their best.

parislouvreopera, Responsable réception at BEST WESTERN Paris Louvre Opera, responded to this review
Dear Mrs Cooper, We would first like to thank you for having taken time to leave your review online and also for your compliments on our staff members. Then we would like to applogozie for the issue encountered during your stay. We regret the fact that the Airconditionning was leaking and the delay to fix it. We hope that the compensation given on your bill and the extra points awarded have been satisfying and also that you still enjoyed your stay in Paris. We will remain at disposal for any futur demand needed. Best Regards. Alexandre

Excellent hotel in the heart of Paris. Very close to both the Louvre and the Opera house. Many restaurants, cafes and boutique shops in the area. Very charming European style hotel. Newly renovated modern rooms. Great service from the hotel staff.
