« The only place in Paris where I stay »

I have stayed at this hotel many times. The location is perfect for tourists, and the staff has always been friendly and helpful. The rooms have recently been renovated and redecorated. Happily, the other reasons that it is attractive have not changed. The hotel is two blocks from Les Halles, where the train from CDG airport has a stop. It is two blocks the other way to Pont Neuf and the Seine. One may walk to many places, such as Notre Dame, the Louvre, the Musee d'Orsay, and St Germaine. One of the boat tours is available just at the river. Many Metro lines are close. One may sit on benches in alcoves on Pont Neuf, or watch the tour boats on the Seine, or watch the twinkling lights at night on the part of the Eiffel Tower visible from the bridge. The charming receptionists are friendly and extremely helpful. Ask them for recommendations for small local restaurants. There are many restaurants within walking distance. They will suggest Odette next door for an elegant last dinner in Paris. They also let us purchase tickets at the desk for one of the Hop On-Hop Off bus companies and made arrangements for a taxi back to CDG for us. The breakfast buffet at the hotel is nice, with attentive staff. I especially liked the fresh crepes, with many choices of fruit preserves. The hotel has a comfortable lobby with a computer for guests to use. However, after I failed, the receptionist cheerfully printed my boarding passes for me. The rooms are not large, but do have a separate toilet room and a shower/sink room, a nice feature. The rooms off the courtyard are very quiet. The street side rooms will be quiet also, when the construction to improve Rue du Pont Neuf is completed (soon). It is a quiet street. This hotel is a good place to stay at a good price.

    « I really love this hotel »

I really love this hotel. What I like about it is: - everything is new and modern, and the rooms always smelled fresh and clean (!) - modern bathroom (including japanese toilet) - hot breakfast was small and cute, but had enough to keep us full - bed was VERY comfortable - very convenient to the sights in the 1st Arrondisement (notre dame, ste. chapelle, etc.) - lots of restaurants near the hotel - easy access to the LesHalles train and metro station Negatives: - the guy who checked us in put on a little frown when we couldn't speak french (even if we tried) but everybody else was friendly and great!

    « Perfect Hotel »

Congratulations for making our stay truly wonderful. Management makes sure that everything about the hotel is perfect. Newly renovated hotel. Location is Awesome Tip: 1. Omg. Try the TOTO toilet seats. 2. Book your dinner at the front desk for Odette and receive a discount and complimentary drink. 3. TV's are IPhone mirroring compatible and Android screen share.

    « Great Place »

We stayed in the Deluxe Room, very confortable and quiet! The staff were really helpful and kind. The location is amazing, very close to several restaurants, metro stations and attractions, I´d come back for sure!

« Really nice modern clean hotel, good location, friendly staff »

Location is amazing- really close to all main tourist attractions, you can walk everywhere. Hotel rooms are clean, comfortable, new, fresh, rooms are nicely decorated, extremely comfortable bathrooms and very friendly staff. Try the lovely casual cafe Le Mimosa not too far away from it too. We really enjoyed our stay in Paris- thank you!

    « Perfect Location »

This recently-renovated hotel is perfectly located: right by Les Halles and several metro stations, quick walk to the Louvre or Musee d'Orsay, across the Pont Neuf into St. Germain, or a nice stroll to the Marais district. I traveled with my husband and several other couples. They gave room upgrades to most of our group, which was lovely. The construction in the street is a bit noisy and cumbersome (no cabs can pull up in front of the hotel, for example) but obviously not the fault of the hotel, and will be an improvement when complete! If your room is on the courtyard side, the street noise is not an issue - super quiet! Many reviews here mention tiny rooms, but I think they are a good size by Parisian standards (and I saw some of the smaller rooms). Front desk staff was delightful and for the most part, very helpful. Solid breakfast. Lobby a good place for convening before heading out. I had no issues with the wifi using my mobile device, but my husband, who needed to work while we were there, said it was terrible. Perhaps because he connected through a VPN and needed to download large files? Not sure...but something to note if you need speed and bandwidth. I take off one star for a terrible experience (unforgettable...in a bad way) on the first day with a room cleanliness issue that was not appropriately remedied. I will not detail it here, because the hotel staff was apologetic and I believe it was a fluke. The hotel was otherwise very clean and none of our friends had similar issues. Overall a good stay in an ideal location.

« First time In Paris »

Fantastic and friendly staff who were extremely helpful if you need help booking any tourist trips or tickets. Rooms on the small/efficient size but very clean and quaint. Amazing bathroom made up for room size. Great location close to the Louvre and walkable to St. Germain and Notre Dame. Also just a couple blocks from the Senne to the new bridge of locks and Senne running trail. Solid hotel for price and location.

    « Convenient Location & Comfortable Hotel »

Pros: - excellent location. Close to Chatelet les halles which is convenient coming from Gare du nord. And it's also close to the metro Chatelet, so it's easy to get around Paris. It's a 10 minutes walk to Le Louvre. And one street away from the Seine river. - lots of restaurants and shops around the hotel. Huge shopping centre at Chatelet les halles. Plenty of small boutique shops and well known brands close by. - beautifully decorated hotel - really good housekeeping, everything is very clean - soft and clean linen and towels - plush bed, pillows and warm blanket - japanese toilet with water cleaning function! - balcony/window with nice views of parisian buildings outside - some amenities provided for like cotton buds, shower caps and hair dryer - warm and comfortable with some noise blocking - lovely staff who always welcomes you back cons: - audible thumping noise from other rooms or other parts of the hotel. I used ear plugs and was able to sleep peacefully other nights. - sometimes the construction or maintenance outside the hotel makes loud noises - which i also blocked out with ear plugs - tv didn't have much english content besides 3 news channels. movies could never be played... at least there's free wifi? Loved staying here.

« clean cosy and near many of the sites in Paris good for a weekend break »

recently renovated above average hotel near les halles pont neuf and louvre the room was medium size clean and had most things one needed during the stay only down side was that the street that the hotel was at had works being done but was not noisy I would stay at this hotel again

« Lovely modern hotel in the heart of Paris »

This hotel was nice and clean and modern. The location is excellent - walking distance from the metro and so near to the Notre Dame Cathedral. We got offered a free upgrade which was great! The facilities in the room were very good - nice shower and the heated toilet seat was a dream! The only downside was that we didn't know how to increase the temperature in the room, and then we tried to phone reception but couldn't figure out how to do this because all the phone menu options were in French. In the end, we couldn't be bothered to go down to reception to ask so slept in a cold-ish room.

« Really tiny rooms but decor is fantastic »

Stayed here for 5 days. The lock on the first room I was given on the 3rd floor was broken. I discovered only after having unpacked my stuff so had to re-pack and move to a room on the second floor which was quite a hassle. The rooms are really really tiny. Probably the smallest I have ever stayed in Paris (and I go to Paris pretty often). It was so tiny that I have nowhere to put my luggage (had a big one as it was winter). Having said that, the interior decor is well done. Rooms are clean and bed was comfy. The staff at the reception were really friendly and service was great. The room service was through an independent provider and tasted pretty good actually. The breakfast was pretty sad and the dining hall felt claustrophobic so I skipped it and had Starbucks every day. LOL. This hotel is owned by the same company as their sister hotel next door "Celine" so you have access to their facilities. I did not used them so cannot comment. Overall, I would say that this hotel ranks high on service and interior decor but I am not sure if I am able to get used to the claustrophobia within the room.

    « Could be better »

Visited here for 2 nights in February. The room is small but adequate. The hotel is difficult to find as there is no sign. Breakfast was the biggest let down and needs improvement. The hot selection consists of baked beans, bacon, mushrooms and scrambled eggs. The cold selection has yoghurts, cereal , fruit, pastries and breads. Non of the yoghurts, juices, milks or cheeses where refrigerated which is off putting. Nothing was replaced quickly therefore there wasn't a lot left. When asked if more eggs or croissants would be put out the response was yes but not for some time. I get having limited choice as it is a small hotel however why not serve what is on offer really well? Overall good stay but several improvements needed, especially for the price paid.

    « SHORT CITY BREAK »

Just spent a pleasant four days in Paris staying at the Ducs de Bourgogne hotel. The hotel was in a great location for the Louvre and near the Seine at the Pont Neuf bridge. It had very good travel connections with other museums, monuments via the Metro and RER station at Port Neuf at the corner of the road. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who were very helpful. Our standard room was charming with french windows overlooking the main street. But was reasonably quiet even though a short distance away from cafes and restaurants ,shops etc. We had a superbly comfortable bed and the modern well-appointed shower room were spotlessly clean with a good housekeeping service. The rate included breakfast and although the basement breakfast room was new and a very pleasant place to have it, unfortunately the substance and quality of the breakfast was very ordinary. However the service was very good and attentive. We would definitely choose this hotel when we go back to Paris.

    « Clean and modern »

I'd recommend this hotel to my friends without hesitation. My wife and I spent two short stays in that hotel. The standard rooms are small but very comfortable. I was impressed by the cleanliness and level of equipment of our room (good bed, large flatscreen TV, electronic toilet). Compared to the average Parisian hotel in the same price range, the hotel is very clean and looks like it was renovated recently. It is ideally located next to Les Halles/Montorgueil, which is a great neighborhood for shopping and eating, and provides easy access to the major public transportation lines (including an easy commute to both airports and various train stations). Last but not least, the hotel's staff was very nice. They even upgraded us on our second trip.

    « Amazing stay! »

Wonderful hotel with lovely, clean and brand new rooms. Staff are also very friendly and helpful. Location is amazing - walking distance to many big sights and near to the metro station. The only thing to note when arriving is that the hotel does not say "Best Western" out the front (and Google's photos are outdated) - look for "Ducs de Bourgogne" Would definitely stay here again!

« Romantic stay in Paris »

We stayed in Aug 2017 at this hotel. Caught the train from the Airport, reasonably short walk from the train station. During our stay the hotel had some renovations occurring in the restaurant area therefore buffet breakfast was not avaliable however we were well compensated with a free room upgrade and breakfast parcel delivered to our room each morning as an alternative. The room was great size with small balcony and appeared to be recently renovated so all furnishings and bathroom were fresh and new. Very comfortable bed and lovely large shower. The room was cleaned daily and all staff were very friendly and helpful. We purchased Louvre entry tickets from reception and skipped many queues. Walking distance to the river, notre dame and louvre. Were very happy with our stay at this hotel in Paris.

« Excellent, friendly hotel, first class »

Freshly refurbished, top class hotel, friendly staff. Hotel is clean, well furnished to a very high standard. I've been using this hotel for 12years 2 to 3 times a year, don't even look for any where else to stay. A great central location with easy metro and bus connections to any where in Paris. Short walk to Notre Dame, Louvre, Les Halles shopping centre around the corner. Surrounded by great restaurants offering wide selection of food at good prices. Score 12 out of 10. Excellent.

« Fantastic location and super hotel... »

I stayed several times already in this hotel and every time it gets better. Now they renovated everything and reduced the amount of rooms which equals to larger size rooms. Super nice rooms and super nice/clean bathrooms. Location is in the heart of Paris right next to Les Halles. This is on RER and Metro 4 which means easy access to both airports and Eurostar. The street get every time nicer with shops and bars and restaurants. You are 4min walk from Pont Neuf. Plus - Room - Bed - Staff - Location - Internet - Noise level Minus - The lobby is a bit "cold" meaning no nice couch or chair. However, management told us they will change this by mid December and have a nice waiting area. They will become a 4 star hotel which is I believe well earned. They have right next door a 5 star sister hotel with Spa and sport room where you also have access to. I definitely go again there for my next trip

    « Fantastic hotel »

Stayed for an overnight trip. The rooms were great, very classy. Not the biggest but hey this is in central Paris. Bathroom was really nice fantastic shower and the toilet seats are amazing!! Location was good lots of bars and restaurants around. I've stayed in a few Best Westerns and this is nothing like them really really good.

« Amazing location and great staff »

We were here in mid december and had the best stay. Rooms were clean and new. The biggest stand out was that all the staff were incredibly helpful to the point of booking cabs, transfers and our tickets to Disneyland. The only small fault was that the breakfast was served in the room because the breakfast room was being done up so no buffet breakfast. Otherwise i could not fault this hotel!

« In the heart of everything! »

Ltoved, loved, loved this hotel and its staff!! Pros: newly renovated, most comfy bed and pillows, nespresso machine and mini fridge( charged for whta is taken inside), super cool shower, awesome tv, and my fav?? The heated toilette seat and hitech bidet! The staff were amazingly helpful! I am of a certain age, hence my longterm memory is not what it used to be, but Elodie, Laura and Lloic were super patient and so helpful! And, the really seemed genuine. The location is PERFECT! I walked all over: 5 minutes to the Louvre, 10 minutes to île de la Cité. I only took the bus to get to the Eiffel Tower but that was super easy because the bus stop is 2 minutes away. Close to a little grocery store and awesome shops and restaurants, shopping centres and metro. Cons: is pricey if you are on a budget, and for some r ason, the phone in my room wasn't working but that was really no big deal. If you can afford it, go for it! I will certainly be back if I ever come to Paris again!

    « Newly renovated hotel »

Great location, very modern and good size rooms. The construction inside is done. They have construction on the street only. Breakfast is good, service is also good but here are a few things they can improve: - bathroom doesn't have any hooks to hang anything. No shower glass door either. They only have half a shower curtain - 2 glass windows on bathroom must be covered. I was so happy to have blackout to sleep at night but then if your partner uses the bathroom at night, the windows will make the room so bright. Please add some blinds or something, for privacy as well. - there was a bar in the middle of the room. - internet is very slow and apple tv wasn't working for that same reason. We would definitely stay there again but we hope they can either add a place to hang things in the bathroom Laura at front desk was very professional and cordial.

    « Great value »

Central location close to lots of attractions. Room 304 was spotless with a very comfortable bed. Very good value for this part of Paris. The staff were helpful and spoke good English, our French not being up to much. Also sold us tickets for a local boat your.

« Clean, Comfortable, Good location »

All rooms have been renovated, Had the "Deluxe" room and it was plenty big for two people plus luggage. Good location next to major metro stations (travel to/from airport is very easy) Nice bed/shower. Lobby is basic, staff was nice.

    « Girls weekend »

We could not fault the rooms or staff or location of the hotel. Our rooms were lovely and comfortable. I have stayed in best western hotels before and the was the best one. Restoration was up-to-date with mod cons including a loo with a panel of buttons! Would definitely stay again.

« Marvelous staff and location in spite of renovation challenges »

For some reason, this tripadvisor review isn't letting me click on the seven ratings circles above, but I'll add a quick review here... We stayed for four nights at the very-very end of their renovation process. We were told it was going to be done, but obviously they had had delays. The dining area wasn't open (due to be the week after) so we had a semi-satisfactory 'picnic' breakfast delivered to our rooms. The lobby is spartan and not very cosy (also maybe yet to be finished). But the staff at the front desk was fabulously helpful and friendly, and that made all the difference. The location is absolutely superb too--so central to so much.

    « Wonderful Surprise »

When planning our trip, we had a difficult time trying to choose a hotel. We wanted to stay in a central location, but not spend a lot of money. Based on reviews, we choose the Best Western Ducs De Bourgogne. Thankfully, we chose wisely. Check in was fast and our room was earlier than expected. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very clearly recently renovated. We stayed in room 602 and had our own small balcony with an awesome view of Rue de Point Neuf. We were a two minute walk from the RER/Metro and a ten minute walk from Notre Dame. We were also very close to several bars, restaurants, and a great bakery. The best part of this hotel, however, were the employees. Every person we interacted with was incredibly friendly and enthusiastic. My husband speaks some French, but they were all able to speak English to help us along. We barraged them with questions several times per day and they were always able to give us fantastic advice (our favorites were Laura and a woman with short brown hair (forgot her name)). We would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Paris and we will definitely be back!

    « Always delivers a great stay »

Have stayed in this hotel on average twice a month for 3 months and every visit has been the same. The staff are always friendly and available to help, rooms are clean and everything is easily accessible. The bed and pillows are comfortable delivering a great night sleep after a long day of travel!

« Quiet and clean hotel in downtown Paris »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the desk staff all spoke excellent English. They always greeted us when we went in or out of the hotel, and were able to arrange things for us like a ride to Orly at the end of our stay. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. They upgraded us to a superior room when we checked in. The soundproofing was very good; we never heard street noise or people in other rooms from our interior room. The hotel has been recently renovated. The hotel is convenient to all downtown attractions: it is only a few minutes walk to the Louvre or to Notre Dame. We would definitely stay here again.

« Excellent location, great hotel »

Great location, close to Louvre and Musée de Orseé. Very nice room, quiet and clean. Loved the toilet and the shower. Everything worked, was contemporarily designed to see to the needs of the guests. A great place to stay in the center of Paris!

    5
    « Very nice hotel »

Beautiful hotel and location its great! So close to Sena River and Rue Rivoli. Just 10 minutes walking to Louvre museum. Very close to Metro stations. Very nice room, very comfortable and the bathroom very spacious.

« Great Location, Greater Service »

A clean cosy retreat where you have Paris at your fingertips. There Is construction going on around the hotel, but you have to step outside to know, the room we stayed in was silent. Within a 5 minute stroll of the hotel there is: The Louve, Notre Dame, Seine scenic cruises, Challet les Halles shopping centre and transit terminal that allows travel direct to both airports and most attractions, excellent restaurants with English menus, the home of the 'best baguette in Paris 2016', a convenience store, pharmacy, bank, bus to Eiffle Tower, and even Starbucks and Maccas for those inclined that way. The hotel team addressed every request we had in a professional and timely manner, we were made to feel like we were their only guests.

    5
« Best choise in Paris »

Splendid location. The service area is under construction, however the rooms have been upgraded to a very high standard and with a bathroom standard you normally do not expect to meet in a 4 stars hotel, rather 6 to 7 stars. Short distance to most attractions in Paris. We will definately chose this hotel next time we are visiting Paris. Based on our experience and standard from he upgraded rooms, we then look forward to see also the service area with its restaurant room completed.

    5
    « Enjoyed every second »

This hotel is amazing. From the minute we stepped in the staff were very accommodating. We arrived at 6AM while standard check in is 2PM. By 9:30 they had our room ready. The room was clean comfortable and well equipped. The location is amazing right in the middle of town but still on a side street. close to museums Metro and plenty of nightlife and restaurants. The staff was very courteous. The bottom line this is a perfect place to stay and will definitely look this place up on our next visit.

    « Paris Weekend »

A great hotel ideally situated to explore the city. Very friendly and helpful reception staff. Very clean rooms with tea/coffee facilities and minibar Great price for city centre hotel within walking distance to many restaurants and bars and close to the main attractions

« Very good hotel in a not bad location »

Positives: Reasonable sized rooms, well appointed following renovations. Nice touches: Universal plugs for foreigners - a number of USB charging points, fancy toilet/bidet, great wi-fi. Negatives: Room service currently relies on outside contractor - too long a wait, food only warm. Business people please note that RDP appears to be blocked. No English Breakfast tea bags provided. Need to use coffee maker to dispense hot water. Good Location - Close to: Laundry, Supermarket (both less than a block away). Maccas, Bike station (across the road). Louvre a 10 minute walk. Note: Avoid the France Tourisme office around the corner - look for the 'official' one near the Grand Palais (only 5 minutes from Louvre).

« Amazing location and wonderful staff! »

I decided to book two rooms at this hotel after reading great reviews on trip advisor. The hotel exceeded my expectations on many fronts. First, the staff at this hotel is amazing. We were provided with excellent directions, pre-purchase tickets to the Louvre to skip the queue, and helpful information about the local neighborhood. The Louvre is a two block walk. Notre Dame is also quite close. We walked everywhere. This was not my first trip to Paris but it was my first stay at this hotel and I will definitely stay here again on my next visit. The hotel is currently being renovated but it did not effect our stay in any way. Our room was beautiful, the bathroom was modern and the view was beautiful! Juliet at the front desk was particularly helpful as was Vera. Thanks for a great stay in Paris!

« Super location and Value »

We loved our stay at this hotel! Great location for all the tourist activities! It felt like a safe and friendly neighborhood. Close to many wonderful restaurants and shopping. Very nicely appointed and efficient rooms with all the amenities that you need! The staff was great in helping us with tickets to various museums and tours. They were still finishing a remodel of the lobby but it loooks like it will be beautiful when it is finished! We felt like it was a great value and experience and would highly recommend it!

« Great location near the Louvre »

We had a recently renovated room and it was fantastic. The view was beautiful and the bathroom was nice and tidy with a skylight letting in some natural light. We stayed on the sixth floor. The hotel was great value for money and the breakfast pastries were delicious. The only downfall was the hotel didn't really offer any facilities but that may change as the building is still finishing its renovation. Overall it was a great stay. Hint for restaurants** don't eat on the main roads, when you walk out of the hotel take a left and walk all the way down past the shopping centre to the opposite side where you will find some great local restaurants where you can eat amongst the Parisians!

« Great Hotel, Friendly Staff, Amazing Location. »

We stayed at the Ducs de Bourgogne for our 25th wedding anniversary. We couldn't fault our stay, all of the staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms are newly renovated and spotlessly clean and the location is amazing for exploring the sites of Paris. Our already wonderful experience was topped off by a surprise complementary bottle of champagne, from the hotel. We were sad to leave and will definitely return. spacer

« Perfect location, comfortable stay »

When someone suggested the "best western" in Paris, I thought they were crazy. I wanted small hotel charm, not a big chain hotel. But the location was perfect, the reviews were so good, and the price was just right, so I decided to go for it. When I pulled up to the hotel, the entire front was encased in plywood, which did not make a good first impression. However, as soon as I walked through the door, I enjoyed every single second of my stay. The inside is under renovation, but it's not very obvious and doesn't seem to impact much. The staff was extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were gorgeous and spacious (for a European city room). My favorite parts were the safe and the nespresso machine in the room. Not to mention the balcony out to the picturesque, quintessential Paris view. Since they were renovating, there was no sit down place to eat, but they offered a small breakfast (pastries, croissants) that could be brought to your room with coffee for about 7 euro. We didn't partake in that, but it was a nice offer. Again, I was shocked at how much charm, comfort, beauty, and convenience this hotel offered for a reasonable price. If I ever go back to Paris, I would definitely stay here again. Can't wait to see what the finished renovation brings! I absolutely recommend this hotel.

« Fantastic location and staff! »

We stayed here from 7/4 to 7/8/17. This was our first visit to Paris. We were totally satisfied even with the renovations going on. The windows on our first floor room were completely sound proof to the outside, so we were oblivious to any noise! The location couldn't be better, we were in walking distance to the Louvre, Notre Dame, great restaurants, buses, and the metro. The room was newly renovated and had an old world charm. Nice size, great AirCond. Refrig and TV.. The Staff goes beyond to help and guide you to great restaurants, bus and metro info. Elodie, Claire, Juliet and Antoine were excellent and made our stay so more enjoyable.

« Great location, still under refurbishmnet »

Location is spot on. Paris can be an expensive place to visit, so for a quieter day there are some great places nearby to walk and take photos, and pretty much every shot has the Eiffel Tower in the background or the Seine. Plenty of restaurants nearby, one called hippopotamus, a reasonably priced family restaurant with a good lunch menu. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no hotel frontage, as building work going on, no restaurant, all are being refurbished. Rooms were not visited by housekeeping, or tea replenished etc, I guess with all the disruption, and continental breakfast is in a bag. Fine with all this, if I had known beforehand. I am sure the hotel will look fabulous when finIshed, just not a nice experience for us.

« Good location and hotel »

We stayed for three nights about one month ago and had a very pleasant experience. We didn't know when booking that the main areas were under renovation, but the construction noise was not a problem since we were out during the day. Although the dining area was closed, breakfast was served to our room every morning. Both the daytime and nighttime staff were friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious and very clean. The location is super convenient, a short walk away from the Metro station, Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Louvre. We would definitely stay here again!

« good hotel, amazing location, renovations »

We stayed at this hotel during our vacation to Paris for a few nights. Prior to arrival, we were unaware of any renovations, so it was a little bit of a shock pulling up to the hotel as there wasn't very much signage (a paper). Check in: check in was great and the staff member provided us with a map of Paris and let us know that they would help us with recommendations on restaurants, etc., if we needed it. Very professional and helpful. Room: Our floor was under renovations, but our room was already renovated. It was beautiful and new. The room was a standard size with standard amenities. We did have quite a few issues with the internet fading in and out, but hopefully that will be cleared up once the renovations are complete. Location: This hotel is in the perfect location to see many sites in Paris. You're either a short walk away from everything or a short subway/taxi ride away. I was shocked at how conveniently located this hotel was. Overall, once the renovations are completed, this hotel will be gleaming! I would return on future visits.

« Great location, pleasant stay, helpful staff »

My husband and I stayed three nights here, and had a perfectly enjoyable experience. The room was admittedly tiny, but well appointed and spotlessly clean. The staff was most helpful at all times. Highly recommended! Some miscommunications about the exact nature of the breakfast served during the renovation, the in-room coffee makers not being replenished for two guests on a daily basis, and an incorrect claim that we had taken a Pringles from the minibar were the only issues we had. Quibbles, really, all easily resolved by the more than willing and always pleasant staff. We'll be back on future trips to Paris!

« Good location, not aware of the renovation »

The room was nice and fairly spacious by Europe standards. The location was perfect. Was not however made aware of the extensive renovation when booking. It would have been fine if we were staying 1 night, not great for a week stay. Night staff was not great. We were told it was a temp helping out however that person still represents the hotel and in my opinion did not represent it well.

« Clean, good staff and service, inexpensive BUT UNDER CONSTRUCTION »

This hotel was a good experience overall, however the main areas are under major construction (lobby, stairwell, restaurant, entrance). The restaurant was unavailable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was a bit hard to find because there was no external signage displayed via the street. Hotel location is excellent to main Paris sites, especially Louvre. There was an ATM across the street, and restaurants nearby. It was a 5-10 minute walk from Les Halles train station to the hotel and it was easy walks to Louvre. Rooms were small but clean and with all the basic amenities.

« Perfect location and wonderful staff. »

The hotel is a short block from Pont Neuf. Near the Louvre and Notre Dame. All the other sites are accessible by 3 nearby Metro stops. We went everywhere we desired easily. Lots of decent eating places within a block or two. The room was new and beautiful, since they are renovating the hotel. Very nice layout and view. Limited breakfast due to renovations, but not a problem. This hotel is and certainly will be 4* when finished. The best part was the staff. Juliet was exceptionally helpful and accommodating on check in. Language if not an issue. We absolutely recommend.

    « Friendly and comfortable »

We stayed here for 10 days. Everyone was friendly and very helpful. The front desk staff were great about getting us taxis, tickets, and answering questions. For us, a friendly and helpful staff makes a huge difference. The rooms are small, but quite comfortable and housekeeping does a great job every day. There are renovations going on right now so there is no breakfast room or other amenities but there are plenty of things very close by. It's a very convenient location, a short walk to the metro and to Les Halles shopping center. It's also very close to the Louvre and quite reasonably priced.

    « Lovely hotel »

Very nice small hotel, rooms are very nice and modern with coffee machine and Japanese toilet! Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel going through refurbishment and the only downside was the kitchen was out of use during our visit so there was no room service and no proper breakfast, we had to have the picnic/ express breakfast in our room, still nice but not as expected for the price we paid and no reduction in price, would definitely stay here but would check about current refurbishment situation. Staff were apologetic about noise and banging, once all work done will be a lovely hotel. Hotel location very convenient for metro and attractions

    4
    « Central location »

The hotel is simple and efficient. Main lobby and hallways are under renovation so no amenities. Our room is comfortable and clean. The view was to the wall... however, the hotel location is the best! The main attractions are within a 10 minute walk, so it is easy going to the Louvre and Notre Dame. Exceptionally helpful and pleasant staff. Thank you, we had a great time!

« Wonderful Location, Great Staff »

My wife and I stayed here in February and absolutely loved it. The staff were always eager to help and very informative. The hotel was under going remodeling but didn't start until we were already out of the hotel. The room was small as are most rooms in Paris. The rooms were very updated and beds were great. The bathroom was spacious and well appointed. The hotel is within walking distance to Notre Dome and the Louve. Plenty of eateries are close by as well as the subway. We will stay here when we return to Paris.

« Great Location - Very helpful staff »

I was a surprise to see that the hotel is being renovated (lobby only) but the hotel is very cozy and has a great location....value for money very good experience. Would definitely go back when in Paris. Breakfast is in the hotel next door, everything is solved.

    « Great stay »

Great stay. Great location. Very convenient to the metro and train station and easy restaurants. Service was very pleasant and helpful. Hotel was under renovation so no amenities but our room was complete, spacious and very comfortable.

    « I got a deal »

Picked Best Western for a King size bed location and price: Got the biggest, nicest room ever in France, (4th time), Located walking distance from THE BEST Museums, Historic Sites, ONE BLOCK to a variety of great restaurants, the LOUVRE, and PONT de NEUF Bridge. Great Friendly staff, accommodating . My Wife loved the Shower and heated Toilet Seat! If we ever go back to Paris, we want the same Room.

    « Great location »

The hotel is located close to many places you'll want to vist and there are great restaurants nearby on Rue Montorgueil. The hotel lobby was under construction while we were there so it was a little loud and messy. Hotel is located on Pont Neuf, a busy street, so you can hear traffic and sirens a little. Rooms were smallish, but had WIFI, very comfortable beds and nice updated bathrooms.

    5
    « Excellent Place »

Stayed here with my wife over the Easter weekend and it was excellent. The hotel is brilliantly placed close to all the tourist spots. There are lots of cafes and bars all around the area. The hotel is having some renovations done but only on Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm so there is not any problems with that.

« Great rooms, best location in Paris »

This is my third time staying at this hotel. It's the best location in Paris less than 5mins walk from Les Halles metro/RER station and around the corner from Rue Rivoli shopping and 10 mins walk from Notre Dame and the Louvre--doesn't get better. The hotel has just completed a room remodel which is amazing--fantastic coffee machine plus a Japanese style toilet. The room is super comfortable and very modern plus a good size for Paris. Breakfast buffet is great as well. My only complaint was the dodgy wifi which was hard to stay connected to. We were the first to stay in our room since the remodel and the a/c didn't work and the hotel failed to fix this after we brought it to their attention. Apart from that the staff was fantastic and very helpful. Highly recommended.

    « Amazing . »

We spent the last three nights at this wonderful hotel. While renovations were in lobby it didn't bother us at all. The rooms have all been refurbished and wow wow 5 star. The bed is amazing I've never slept better, the toilet omg amazing wait until you sit on it. The bathroom was luxurious, the shower was top class a huge rainfall shower . The bed room had a great Nespresso machine, wonderful soft carpet and the bed was just spectacular. The lighting in the room was classy. The staff were friendly and helpful and made you feel so welcome. Only flaws internet wasn't great and hot food could have had more of a selection. However filled up on the wonderful fruit available and yoghurt. Location is excellent and so safe . It's just wonderful. Me and my partner Rick can't wait to return.

« Disappointing management of refurbishment »

The hotel was in an excellent position, rooms were a reasonable size, clean and with comfortable beds. The hotel was undergoing a refurbishment of the public areas which we were not informed about prior to arrival hence we were not able to use the lift from the ground floor to floor one, making it difficult with a double buggy and there was no lounge/bar area for us to sit as a family. We would like to have been told about this prior to arrival. Health and safety issues also around exposed wires and french windows on 4th floor that didn't lock making it dangerous for young children.

« April weekend in Paris »

Unfortunate revamp work being done on the hotel. Internet did not work whilst there. Fantastic location. Very friendly staff. Great base to use for all areas of central Paris. Just next to Chatelet, so great access for rail connection to CDG airport

« Will be nice when it's finished »

Arriving in Paris I was excited to get a hotel so near to tne centre but, unfortunately seeing the hotel dampened my spirits. The outside was boarded up and it had a fenced off building site out on the street. What we didn't know because we were never told when we booked was that the hotel was undergoing some major refurbishment, the reception area was nice but we had to walk through a bomb site of exposed wiring and chip board to get to it. Builders were everywhere and so was their equipment making access to our room on the second floor awkward and to make matters worse the lift was out of action. The room was pleasant though, small but perfectly adequate for my needs and the bed was probably the comfiest i've ever slept on. The shower was great and the toilet was to die for, it had a wand that appeared at the press of a button to spray your bottom and blow dry it! Magnificent! My other gripe was being woken up at 7.50am by the sound of hammering despite being told the workmen started a 9-4 shift. All in all i made the best of it but i was unhappy that the hotel was a building site, the staff were helpful and the area was good, i just wish the hotel would have had the decency to warn me that it was being refurbished.

    « The Best Stay! »

We stayed 8 nights and we really loved this hotel. I can't say enough good things about it. The staff (especially Claire, Joanna, Juliet, Vivien) were so kind and helpful. They really made us feel like valued guests. With the refurbishment that has taken place, everything is brand new. The rooms are nicely appointed and quite comfortable. This hotel has probably the best location in all of Paris. Most of the major attractions are within close proximity and easy walking distance. Just walk down the street and you will be at the river in less than 5 minutes. You can walk to the Louvre in less than 10 minutes. There are convenient metro and train stations also just minutes away. There are many great restaurants, bistros, cafes and bars in the neighborhood. Even though, the area is bustling, the hotel is on somewhat of a quiet street which is nice. We spent a lot of time looking for that perfect hotel for our Paris vacation and we are so glad to have found this place. We are looking forward to a return trip to Paris and a return stay at the Best Western Ducs De Bourgogne.

    « Excellent location/great staff! »

stayed 6 nights; Nathalie and her staff were so accomodating! The hotel is under renovation, but only during daytime hours and it really wasn't an issue. The location is just fantastic. 10 min walk to both the Louvre and Notre Dame. Restaurants and shopping right there. Nice breakfast daily and newspapers. The staff was always ready with suggestions, helping with transportation or suggesting a walking route for sightseeing. Will definitely be back.

« Amazing home away from home »

This hotel has it All! Amazing location, amazing Staff! Juliette, Vivien, and the lovely lady at the desk on my departure day ( forgot her name). I always stay at this hotel when I am in paris and wow room 301 was Great! Amazing shower and the most technologically advanced toilet. Also, the breakfast buffet is well worth the euros. I will only stay here when I am in Paris, can't wait to return in April 2017 and see the complete rents.

    « Suberb friendly hotel »

Used this hotel twice a year for 11yrs. Just returned from latest visit and stayed in newly refurbished room. Well furnished, new beds, new bathrooms and if you've this hotel before a nice new big lift. Staff friendly and welcoming as ever. Hotel is well placed for major attractions, Lourve, Notre Dame, good metro and bus access. After staying here 1st time never looked for another Hotel to stay at, a lot of that credit due to the staff.

« Bitter Taste in my Mouth. »

I originally thought that I had the best deal (50% off on booking.com) however once we arrived we saw why! The hotel is under renovation inside and out. We were lucky to arrive on the weekend when there is no construction but it's 8.00am on Monday morning and you can hear builders inside and out of the building. The air con doesn't work and thankfully the lift is now working as other reviews I've read have said it wasn't. I would have liked to be notified that the reason for the special was because of renovations but nothing was mentioned in the months leading up to our stay. It definitely put a sour taste in my mouth. We also didn't get our room serviced as our family staying in the same hotel at the same time did. Quite disappointing. In other reviews I've read (one we checked in) they said the staff were very apologetic but we didn't get one sorry, we got a "as you can see we are renovating" I really do think they least they could do is give you a free breakfast for this inconvenience. Not worth the 50% off deal and it was still over £200 a night with the special. Otherwise the hotel is in a great location and very central.

    « Disappointing »

Rooms were booked early in year based on location & price. We were no aware of any renovation work at all until we arrived at hotel. We thought as it was the weekend it shouldn't be too bad. It was relatively quiet. No air conditioning do we were given a fan. All that did was move warm air around. Couldn't leave window open as the scaffolding was fight outside window. Couldn't tell what the weather was like. Very small room. No hotel information in room. TV on wall on an angle. Staff were friendly enough. Suggest that guests should be told if the state of the hotel & perhaps offering free breakfast may have helped.

« Bad Mistake - Shameful Best Western »

If ever there is a reason to use Trip Advisor beforehand, this could be it. I'm sure this hotel was good, and will be good, when it not BEING RENOVATED. We booked through Booking.Com , where the hotel description had not been updated. Meanwhile, over on the Best Western website there was a one-liner saying that renovation was being carried out. Our reservation was confirmed with no mention of the potential disruption. On arrival, we were met with full-height scaffolding outside the main hotel entrance. Over the next 30mins, the reception staff did her best, but she must have been well-practiced at apologising. She advised us to view our room before checking-in, and that the lift system was not working. She explained that there was no air-conditioning but that a portable fan had been provided. Thankfully, our allocated room was on the first floor (one up from reception). There was small portable fan, so we went to the window to improve the ventilation, opened the curtains and found the window obstructed by even more scaffolding up the rear of the building. We immediately returned to the reception, the reception staff found us another hotel in central Paris, and we left totally dis-satisfied with our experience of Best Western.

« Great location but under renovation »

The 2* is for location only. Room was very very small. Elevator is out of order due to renovation. Our room was on 4th floor and had to climb stairs everytime. Day time construction noise. Breakfast is good but not worth 17 euros. The location is great with lots of food options and train station nearby. Louvre and notre dame are walking distance. Eiffel is little over a mile away. We used the train for commute, very convenient.

    3
« Great location and price »

I stayed for 1 night and the location is great for shopping and walking around Paris. Safe neighborhood for solo travelers as far as I could see. Lovely restaurants and cafes nearby. Has 24 HR reception and the staff are lovely. The reason I gave it a lower rating was due to the renovations. We were not told prior to arrival. There was noise and dust between 9-5 which in itself would have been no issue as my room was clean, bed was comfy, bathroom small but suitable. However Paris is currently going through a heatwave and due to the renovations they had no lifts or aircon. My room was on the top floor (90 or so steps!! ) and luckily I did not have to carry my luggage but I couldn't open my windows during the day as there was construction outside and the fan they have me was not really helpful until the sun came down and even then the night was so muggy! For the price and location and as I only stayed for 1 night, it was fine but if I was there any longer I'm sorry to say I would have moved hotels it was just too hot in that room. I'm happy to come back when the renovations are finished!!

« Great boutique hotel in lesser traveled area »

Traveled here with my wife on a tight budget. We decided to stay in a hotel around the major attractions to save transportation costs. This hotel was perfect for us. Just a few blocks from the Louvre and Notre Dame. About a mile walk to the Eiffle Tower. Perfect location for us. Don't be discouraged by the pictures of the hotel though. It is not a "modern" hotel with all those amenities. This is a boutique hotel meaning smaller rooms, less excess, etc. The included breakfast was delicious. The staff was very helpful and suggested several great restaurants within a few blocks of the hotel. If you want a hotel that is not a tourist trap but still close to the major attractions, go for this one.

« Booked and Paid BUT NO ROOM »

We booked this hotel with the accommodation reservation desk at CDG airport When we arrived at the hotel they said they had no room available they had sold it and offered us a 3 star hotel a fair walk away it was cold and raining heavily. So we refused and booked another 4 star hotel. They have kept out money, no refund .

    « Clean & Perfectly Located »

I stayed here last week. I will preface my review by saying, yes, it is under construction. They told me this and apologized for it three times during check-in to make sure I was aware. My room was on the second floor, so they also told me there is no lift while it is under construction. They are very upfront about this. I don't think you'll find a hotel that is as clean and well located as this one, especially for the price point. You are a 10 min. walk from the Louvre, the Musee D'Orsay, and about a 12-15 min. walk from Notre-Dame & Saint-Chapelle. You are right by the Metro and several great places to eat. My room was average city size so smaller than in a non-major city, but comfortable and had all that I required. Construction did start at 7:30 am and there was noise, but I was already awake and heading out for the day. Bottom line is if you hate noise or not having a lift, don't stay here right now. However, if you want a fabulous deal in a great location that is clean with great customer service, this is the place with you. Everyone I talked to at the front desk was so nice and helpful. Very happy with my experience here!

    « Escellent Hotel »

The hotel is very well situated and the staff friendly and helpful;. The room was beautifully furnished with comfortable beds and was totally quiet. Gluten free breakfast was provided for my husband. We did not know about the renovation work and there was no lift but luggage was taken care of and we were not incnvenienced

    2
« disappointing hotel in an excellent location »

While the hotel is beautifully located, it was being renovated when we stayed (2-6 June 2016) which meant there was no lift (one of us stayed on the fifth floor). No apology was offered and the noise of the renovations was relentless. There were no public spaces to sit and talk, no bar or other public facilities. Out two double rooms were tiny even for one person. It is definitely not a four star hotel and while some of the staff tried to be helpful, and while they gave us a 15% reduction on the price, on the whole there was a 'take it or leave it' attitude, most unacceptable.

    3
    « Paris Vacation »

Comfortable European style hotel. Quite expensive but given it is in the centre of Paris and close to all the great amenities then overall value for money. Refurbishment work was ongoing during our stay which meant that staying in bed after 8am was impossible but the hotel will benefit from the work in the future as it is currently a little dated. Staff were great and very helpful can only give the hotel a big thankyou

« 35 YEARS AT THE DUCS DE BOURGOGNE »

My family has been staying at the Ducs de Bourgogne for close to 30 to 40 years on a regular basis. I, my family, and my parents have always found the staff at the hotel to have been a great help with any request and absolutely wonderful as managers of the hotel. We have had special requests in the past and the request have been performed with an impeccable manner with the utmost attention to courtesy and with a professional manner. They are an excellent example of a truly well run hotel and I will continue to stay at the hotel. Thank you for you excellent service. Tony Taquey

« Just what we were looking for »

The location was perfect & the price affordable. Yes it was under construction but I found that it was little or no interference to us as we spent most of time in the city. We did not have breakfast at the hotel. Staff was quite helpful & friendly, all spoke excellent English. They surprised me with champagne on my birthday.

    « I'm sure it's a nice hotel...when it's not a building site! »

I'll be brief. We arrived late on a Friday to find the hotel hiding behind much scaffolding. We were then informed major renovations were in progress. No **** Sherlock! The lift was not in service...we were on the fourth floor. The room was small, approx 7 by 11 feet. The room was clean, the bed was comfy. The view was scaffolding. The bathroom was small, well appointed and clean. The maid service was good. A safe was advertised...there was no safe. Breakfast was a disaster. The dining area is minuscule. We went down in the middle of the service. Three hot food trays were empty. There was one crepe, no plates and not one clean table. We sat for five minutes. Nothing was attended to and we didn't darken breakfasts doorstep again. There were no workmen Saturday morning - we slept well. There were no workmen Sunday morning - we slept well. Half eight am Monday morning...WORKMEN. Thank goodness we weren't there mid-week. In summary then I think it's unforgivable to not be informed of major work in progress and to be charged full price. To end on a high, the front desk staff are very friendly!

« Book and paid at CDG airport hotel booking desk »

Arrived at the hotel's crowded tiny reception and was told there was no room available. They had emailed me that they had booked us in to a none Best Western 3 star hotel 10 minutes walk away. We didn't accept this and told the man on reception to refund our payment. I called a friend who arranged another hotel. We didn't get a refund, we over heard the receptionist's conversation in French basically saying they had resold the room at a higher price and booked us in to one of their partner hotels..(Je revendu à un prix supérieur les ai un hôtel partenaire) Contacted Best Western UK, who said you must call the help desk in the USA who said they can't help call Best West France ........... No Help

« Best Western Ducs De Bourgogne Stay »

They location and cleanliness was very good and so as most of the staff. However, your hotel is under renovation and this should say on your website so as a customer I have a choice to book or not. I did not have any view from my window as the scaffolding and a sheet was covering my view. Lady at the reception after taken all the details including my credit card details explained to me that I have room at 5th floor even I have issues with my knees but there were no other rooms available. I requested for a English electric plug so I can use my laptop and she said I have to come down from the 5th floor to get my plug :-)

    « Valuable Hotel »

I stayed 2 nights on April 2016. Positive : Location is very close to RER (very convenience if you go to/from CDG or Orly just one intersection from the RER Chatelet station ) and also the hotel locates in the hub of of PAris city ,It's just 5 mins to Louvre ,Opera or Notre Dam church or else, one metro line direct to Gallery Lafeayett ,Bathroom have bathtube ,hair dryer, soap ,body lotion,Bed is also comfort from the tried day,Staffs are also nice and helpful. Negative : room very small but I think it's as same as others hotels in Paris .In the room it's space for 2 big luggage (20" and 24") and then I couldn't walk in the room ,have to stay on bed. There are TV ,wardrobe desk and a couple bed tables and refrigerator. No drinking water for guest.

    3
    « Not a 4 stars hotel »

It should be a 3 stars hotel. Small rooms with small poor bathrooms. No welcome kit at all. Old rooms and half of the hotel under refurbishment, so really noisy all day long. Elevator out of order for all my stay (3 days). Poor breakfast, but very expensive, in a dark room.

    5
    « Dissapointed »

I really cannot give a true review of this hotel as the lift was out of use due to refurbishing. My designated room was on the 6th floor so I used the stairs "phew" to say the least I was out of breath. I asked to change floors but unfortunately the hotel was complete. Celine, the lovely receptionist, found me an alternative hotel room Best Western on boulevard Sebastopol which had undergone refurbishing and was delightful. I sincerely hope, when the work is finished at Ducs de Bourgogne, I will have the opportunity to stay at this hotel.

    4
    « Excellent location »

The rooms are a bit on the small side even the superior rooms but all nicely decorated and maintained. The staff were really welcoming and the hotel is in an excellent location with easy access to all part of the city main attraction.

    « Renovation stay »

We were staying near Disneyland in Paris and decided to spend one night in the heart of Paris to enjoy shopping and tours. Location is the key to a great vacation. The hotel bed was large, the room is small and bath. The decor was nice, the hotel is going through renovations.

« Exactly the kind of behavior I hate! »

What I hate the most is being fooled ... and this is exactly what happened to me at this place. First, I would like to meet he person who gave this place 4 stars, no way. Second, this hotel is under construction and the elevator is shut down. They obviously did not mention it when I booked the room but, don't worry for them, they charge the full rate! To be fair, there is one positive: very good and central location.

    2
    « Disappointing »

Hotel looked great in the pictures, but we were allocated a box room in the attic on the top (6th) floor - very pokey and ill-appointed, and very different to the nicely furnished rooms shown in the pictures on the website. The bathroom was tiny, with the smallest bath I've seen... It didn't help that the lift was out of order - apparently they've been having problems with it for some time - but that's quite significant when your room is on the 6th floor and you have suitcases to carry up and down... Fortunately we were booked for only one night. Check-in was quick & easy and we were given Wifi logins which worked well, but check-out very slow: the clerk seemed to be checking multiple systems to track down that we'd prepaid. It would be helpful to publish honest photos of the smaller, less well-furnished rooms (and bathrooms) and make clear their categorisation, so people are not misled into thinking that they'll get a room like those currently shown on the website. If those rooms are cheaper, then some people may be very happy with them. Unfortunately, we'd expected something very much better.

« Great stay in Paris during COP21 »

What truly made the stay at the Ducs de Bourgogne exceptionel was the staff at the reception, always super friendly, full of connections and eager to assist in any way possible to make your stay easier. This time of the year, a few weeks after the attacks and with another 40,000 registered people attending the climate change conference at Le Bourget, my stay at the Ducs, made all the difference and allowed me to enjoy Paris to the fullest with its ideal location in the 1st Arrondissement right next to the Louvres and 2 minutes walk from the RER and metro - plus an amazing restaurant life in a radius of 300 metres! The rooms are exactly what you see on the picture, furniture and decor included. They are typical small Paris hotel rooms - best to be single - but they had fridge, and a good desk, free wifi in rooms and a very comfortable bed and bathroom. The breakfast provided is full breakfast - which is not the norm in these smaller hotels and excellent. Overall, perfect for a business trip while enjoying Paris to the max. I will stay here again if I have a chance to return to the City of Light.

« good but not exceptional »

Stayed in Superior room. It looked pretty standard. Furniture in absolute need of renovation. Matress was perfect for my taste. Did not have breakfast, so cannot comment. Helpful staff. Excellent central location. I have stayed in several hotels in Paris as I travel frequently for business, this one did not stand out but I would not complain either. The price would be easily plus 100euro per night if the place is renovated. So three stars overall to push to that direction.

    5
    « Very good! »

our stay in Paris was pleasant. the hotel is very comfortable, clean, very comfortable bed and room, although a bit small. The hotel has one perfect location to traveling and the staff is polite and helpful. My opinion is absolutely positive

« ideal location in Paris »

Central location to the Louvre and other sites as well as to various means of public transport.; very friendly staff. The (small) size of the room correlates with the location and the price. For me this package was well acceptable.

« Liked this hotel because of staff and location »

We would stay again because we loved location and staff however there were issues. The first room we were put in had no heat, tv did not work, and some of the lights did not work. They did accommodate us immediately and moved us to another room. The breakfast room is in the basement - very dark - we never ate there. Hotel is in walking distance to everything we wanted to see and many great restaurants. Mixed bag. You have to love the location though.

Central hotel. Staff friendly and helpful. Room nice ,clean although small had everything needed. We got a special rate ,not sure we would have paid the going rate. But all in all we had a great three days. Can't rate breakfast we did not eat in 17 euros each seemed steep. But in fairness we only wanted coffee and croissants. If we see another offer we most definitely will go again.

    « Very pleasant stay »

We were very pleased with the hotel, the staff and service. Sleep was the big problem - the room was hot and we didn't seem able to use the air conditioning well enough to cool it. We threw open the windows onto the little balcony but of course being in such a central area there was the sound of revellers at night and then the building works starting up in the morning. There is clearly a lot of development in the area!

    « Good hotel »

I stayed in this hotel because of business porpoise. Hotel have perfect location and good access to subway. Reception was really perfect speaking many languages. Room itself was small but OK if you stay only for night. What was really terrible was view from window to central dirty and dark light well. What surprise me more that my room wasn't tide up after first night. Overall hotel is good with really nice price in Paris city center.

    « Very central hotel »

Rooms needed to be redecorated. Especially the carpet and the bathroom. Very friendly personell. They are ready to help, if possible. Breakfast could be improved. The hotel is in the middle of the most interesting sights, just a walk away.

    « I love Paris »

Had a great time. Location excellent right beside Pont Neuf exit of Chatelet station, so access to everything. Local restaurants excellent. Easy walk to Louvre, Notre Dame and Pompidou centre. Really handy position and good value for Paris. Very happy

    « Typical Paris hotel »

People were nice and accomodating, but rooms are quite small. Some furniture in need of repair. From what I have been told, a typical Paris Hotel experience. Location is great for Notre Dame and the Louvre. Car to and from airport about 60 euros each way, but worth it

« Small room, great hospitality. »

Like some of the other reviewers I though the room too small - at the price I think one should get better, even if it is in a prime location. The lift was the smallest I have ever seen! Apart from that, I ended up really enjoying my stay thanks mainly to the great staff, the fantastic location and the cleanliness of the room. I also requested a quiet room - which I got, and slept well.

    « Great location »

This was our first time visiting Paris as a couple and we were most pleased during our one week stay. The hotel was a 1 block walk from a Metro/RER station and a short stroll to Pont Neuf. We love to walk and enjoyed being able to walk along the Left Bank and Ile de la Cite, to the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Conciergerie, Pompidou Center. Our 1st floor room had no view but was cute, quiet, private, and very clean. It was similar to boutique hotels in other European capitals. We enjoyed the room's seating area, the Internet connection, and the queen size bed. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and very helpful in providing us with clear directions to museums, etc., as well as what Metro stops and metro changes we needed to make. There were plenty of nearby cafés for breakfast and a market, as we considered the hotel breakfast too dear. An excellent value, we would highly recommend Best Western Ducs de Bourgogne and would stay there again in the future.

« Great Location, Great service »

This was my first visit to Paris. I travelled with my family and we had taken 3 rooms in the hotel. The hotel is centrally located close to the Louvre , Notre Dame, etc and the Metro station. I stayed there for a week and thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Best western. The staff at the front desk, Floriane, Tiana and Tibhout and their manager Ms Nathalie were extremely helpful. The rooms are small but comfortable. I would like to suggest that the breakfast menu could include a few more vegetarian options, since we stayed there for a week and found the choice of items to be the same. Overall it was a great stay and would definitely stay there again.

« If you need AC this is NOT the hotel for you! »

First off let me start by stating that the gals at the front desk were unbelievable. They were extremely helpful in all aspects. This was our first time in Paris and they helped us with booking some of the tours that we wanted to go on, had great recommendations for places to eat and were all around helpful. With that said, as my title states if you are in need of an air conditioned room this is NOT the hotel for you! When we got to our room we immediately noticed that the AC wasn't working. Figuring it needed a bit of time to cool the room off we went exploring and when we came back the room was just as hot as it was when we left. The next day we let the front desk know and they came in, fiddled around, looked at the vent and declared that the "vents were pointed in the wrong direction" (they weren't). To try and rectify the matter they gave us a fan which, while the gesture was greatly appreciated, the fan was sub-par as well. We ended up leaving the window open while we were in the room to get some air circulating through. Halfway through the trip we decided we just couldn't take it any longer and they moved us to the room next door. Which had no air conditioning as well. While we were moving our items from one room to the other I stood in front of the vent in the first room and it actually felt as though HEAT was coming through the vents instead of cool air!! We bumped into another person staying at the hotel on the stairs and asked about their AC and she said that they didn't have any either so I think it's something that is wrong with the system. Upon check out we let the girl at the front desk know that neither room had AC to which she replied that it "was not possible". They did, however, deduct money from the bill to compensate for the inconvenience which was greatly appreciated. If they were to fix the issue with the AC in the rooms I would definitely stay there again. It was in a central location within walking distance of a lot of the attractions and again, the staff was super friendly and helpful. Had the AC been working this review would have been 5 stars.

    « BASIC ROOM »

I stayed in a basic room and it was very pricey for what it was. Although this is right in the city centre! The door was too short comparing the hight and light was filtering in, disturbing my sleep. The room is very small. I like the hotel because it's a very convenient location and has very accomodating staff. I am going back in January. Hopefully in an upgraded room.

    « Great Hotel in the 1st »

Staff was exceptional. Room was small but clean and perfectly fine for what was needed. Only issue was some of the power was off at times. Some lights/TV did not work after the first night but outlets worked for charging electronics. Still a great stay in the heart of Paris.

    « HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE »

My two friends and I (three eighteen year old girls) were in Paris a couple weeks ago and had booked two nights in this hotel months in advance. Upon arrival in the morning we checked in our bags and the lady at the front desk said we could come back any time later that evening to check in and get our room. We came back to the hotel around 10:30 PM and to our surprise the man at the front told us that they didn't have a room for us and the whole hotel was full. The man was not helpful one bit. None of this was our fault. We showed him all the confirmation and booking e-mails we received and it was ultimately their mistake. We were shoved out to the street with no other option but to call numerous other hotels in hopes they weren't all booked. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

« Technically 4-star but you will be very disappointed ! »

Google the star rating system for Paris hotels to understand why technically this is a 4-star hotel but in reality it is a very poor quality hotel in a fairly decent neighborhood for visiting the Louvre. The rooms are tiny, beds are horribly uncomfortable, the bathrooms are motel quality, the AC didn't work, the walls are paper thin, the elevator is even smaller than a typical Parisian hotel elevator, the carpet in the room was filthy, the fluorescent light bulbs in the room were different colors, the breakfast room was dingy and dark, the wifi was poor -- and all this for a big price! They charge 4-star prices because they are allowed, but it is a travesty. I do not recommend this hotel under any circumstances.

« Ducs Is at the Center »

A great location. Close to many bus lines connecting all of Paris, avoiding Metro and RER long walking and stairs. Only negative the air conditioning sometimes did not cope with the heatwave. My double room was ample size, contrary to reviews I read prior to my trip.

    « Wonderful staff »

We had a wonderful stay at the Best Western Ducs De Bourgogne! The location is amazing, close to many sights like the Louvre, Notre Dame, and there are many restaurants and shopping nearby. Metro and supermarket also just around the corner. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. We really enjoyed our stay!!

« many thanks for wonderful service »

The room was small but completely adequate and beautifully decorated. The staff went out of their way to help me in a variety of ways. i would recommend this hotel to my friends and family and would stay there again.

    « Positive review »

Great location in the center of Paris. Staff extremely available and kind. Just a note about our room which was located on the attic: it was a little bit too small, but anyway confortable and clean. Good international breakfast. I recommend a stay in this hotel.

    « Great location »

Great location for all tourist areas of Paris. Back rooms were very quiet. Breakfast was inconsistent. Many restaurants in surrounding blocks. Pricey but all of Paris is expensive. Overall a good value.

    « Nice experience »

The hotel was pretty good, Rooms are small for 4 star hotel. The breakfast was perfect. All the employees are really helpers. The best thing is the location, really close to the Louvre. In front of the hotel you could rent bycicles, this is other advantage.

« Good spot in Paris »

Hotel is in convenient location, close to transport and cafes. Directions to hotel are not good. Traditional furnishings, comfortable, windows that open and air conditioning in room. Very busy front desk but helpful staff.

    « Location Location Location »

Best Location, walking distance to some of the major sights, lovely to walk along the river bank day or night, lots of people having picnics or just watching the world go by. The hotel is very clean the staff are excellent & only to pleased to help in any way, kettle in the room for tea or coffee was great. Please note this is a small hotel in the middle of Paris and hence the rooms are small do not let this put you off unless you intend to spend a lot of time in your hotel room. Lots of places to eat close by ( ate breakfast by the river in the sunshine) Did not use the Metro just walked or used our two day tour bus pass (they will book you this at the hotel) I look forward to going back

    « 2 nights in Paris »

Staff is very courteous and helpful. Room is small as you would expect in Europe, but it is very clean and comfortable. Bathroom is excellent and very clean, also has a good shower. Hotel is a great value for the location, which is one block from the Seine and one block from the Louvre, and very close to a Metro station. Internet was also good and reliable. Overall a great choice in central Paris!!

    « Very Kind »

The stuffs are very kind and it made me happy. One stuff kept smiling all the time and had a humorous. I naturally talked to him. And I felt comfortable like being in my home. I'll stay in this hotel again when I visit in Paris.
