In the heart of the 9th arrondissement of Paris, perfectly located between Montmartre and the Drouot antiques district, not far from the Garnier opera house and the famous Parisian department stores, the 4 star Best Western Premier Opéra Faubourg (formerly Hotel Jules) invites you to sample its very British blend of contemporary design and vintage style. With its 103 rooms, this surprising 4 star Parisian boutique-hotel has just been completely transformed allowing you to experience 2 types of ambience, one decidedly British, both chic and slightly off-beat, while the other is pure vintage 60s and 70s. Close to the Gare du Nord, Gare de l'Est and Gare Saint-Lazare train stations, the Best Western Premier Opéra Faubourg is also well served by public transport (Métro lines 7, 9 and 12). It is the perfect place for your business and/or leisure trips to Paris.

    « Dishonest »

Most dishonest hotel in Paris. We booked on the hotel web site (not BW) to get a better rate, but we never received an email confirmation. We called to confirm and were told there was not a problem. We booked the rate that included breakfast for 20 euros more. After we had started to eat the breakfast, we were told breakfast was not included. The hotel then without our authorization and after we checked out charged the card we used to reserve the room but not the card we used to pay for the room. Very dishonest. The manager is nasty--I have the emails to prove it. Don't stay here. And don't be fooled by the cheap rates--this hotel will rip you off.

« Great location, service, value »

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely 2 nights. Located one block from Le Peletier Metro Stop on the No 7 line.. 20 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord train station. Had a king bed that was very comfortable. The room was clean and compact, with a balcony and had a view of Rue la Fayettte. Had lots of restaurants close by. For breakfast, there was a nice selection for E19/per person extra. The staff was excellent- helpful and friendly.

The hotel was in a great location, however, should you be driving recommendation is to take your vehicle back to the rental place. Definitely would stay there again. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

« Beautiful hotel in the center with nice staff »

Beautiful clean hotel in a great location with nice staff. It is close to the theaters and shops and all the important places in Paris. The rooms are comfortably furnished with comfortable beds and fine linen. We'll come back here.

    « bed too small »

the bed is toooooo small, cannot sleep for two people, I was slept on the floor! Terrible experience. If both of your weight is under 50kg,you can choose this hotel. The waiter told me that french fat people can sleep two adults, I think it's impossible!

    « Very Nice Hotel »

This is a fantastic hotel because of it's location and staffs. Very nice and friendly staffs and also English speakers too (which is very important to those of us who don't speak French). The location of this hotel is very good as it is a well lit and great street, Rue La Fayette. There are so many restaurants in this area and two very close by Metro - Le Peletier and Cadet. The Opera house is just about 0.5 mile away as well as the Museum of Fragrance (which is free admission) and Galleries La Fayette. A couple of churches is also nearby and there is a walkway passage with shops inside. Back to the hotel, our room was spacious very nice with balcony and king size bed. The bathroom is clean with shower stall. There is an electronic safe in the room. One elevator which might require a bit of waiting if there's too many people especially those with big luggage. Our morning breakfast is good and the staffs are very courteous and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel. I am sure that it will make a wonderful stay when in Paris.

« Great hotel, great staff! »

A nice hotell, central in Paris, near at least two metro-stations. We originally booked a standard double room, but they told us we got a free upgrade to a superior room, which was nice. We stayed for 4 nights. The room and bathroom was clean, and the bed was big and nice to sleep in. The room was not very spacious, but ok for two people. The staff was super friendly and were very helpful. We needed to print our tickets for Disneyland and they did it for us when we didn't figure out how to do it ourselves. The breakfast was also very good, and there was refreshments like water with lemon and some candy in the reception.

    « Avoid »

The hotel maybe ok if you get the room you reserve. However, after booking and paying for a none refundable room and arriving at 11pm we were told I had been emailed to cancel on me. No refund was offered, no choice of where I would stay instead and no apology. We were offered a taxi to replacement hotel but this hotel was not convenient for our stay (& had a less expensive nightly rate!). Disgusting that no refund was offered and emails have been ignored afterwards. Avoid avoid avoid!

« Good Value hotel near Le Peltier met station »

Although this hotel has a quirky layout of small rooms, the price was good and the beds were comfortable. The lobby area was small and often there were groups of smokers standing just outside the front door, but the staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast seemed rushed due to several large tour groups trying to eat at the same time and the tables were small and close together. We often ate at the nearby Pret A Manger for coffee and croissants or sandwiches.

    « Super »

Great location, just metres from le Pelletier metro stop and 5 minutes walk from Grands Boulevards. Lots of restaurants near by. Staff very welcoming and even let us check in early. Rooms nicely furnished and very clean. Great place to stay in central Paris

    « Well-located hotel »

The best thing about this hotel is its location. A short walk from the Gare du Nord and the Opéra and a 30 minute walk to some of the main sites and museums (Louvre, Musée d'Orsay, Centre Pompidou). We went almost everywhere on foot. The room was small and quite chic with quirky décor. We were on the 6th floor and were not bothered by noise from the road below. My only criticism is for the breakfast. It was nice enough with all your basics (eggs, cereal, croissants, fruit salad) but for a 4-star hotel I expected better quality products and more homemade choices.

« Smiling faces but no action or services passion »

As soon as you enter, smiling faces are welcoming you but when you are in, you discover that the smiling faces don't have the passion to serve you up to the level of 4 star hotel at all, from my experience, 2 star for the hotel is an exaggerating rating, no concierge, no amenities in the room, you should request them on daily basis, even the cotton bud they don't serve it, we request it from the reception and they offer us a pack of 4 cotton bud and after 2 days they say the room will support you with, when they did not we request from reception but they claim not available, they are very Stingy they do support water on daily basis, they do not refill the free coffee and sugar on daily basis unless you request it you need to beg them to do it, smiling is nothing without good service, on hotel page you will see balcony with chairs, ha ha ha they are fooling the guest with this picture too, Finally the rooms are too small and I think any person with weight 150 K will not even be able to pass from one side to the next side of the room (picture attached with 30 cm pathway between bed and table)

    « Excellent »

Worth a cent to stay in this hotel. The staff are super friendly, rooms are very clean and very convenient for everyone. The service is great. A very good location to stay for business, shoppings and leisure. Amenities are superb. What I really like the most are the staff, very accommodating, very helpful and very reliable. Excellent hotel.

    « VACATION »

The location is excellent. I reserved a superior room but it was not large enough; about 13 sqm. and not as stated in the website. The breakfast is tasty and very good. Even it was a non smoking floor but every time i pass in the corridor i smell the smoke. In general it is good but i don't repeat it.

« Quaint hotel with good train and subway access. »

After lots and lots of research, we settled on this property based on a combination of it's price range and location. The hotel is approximately a 15 to 20 minute walk from Gare du Nord, we had no problems finding the hotel at all, despite being our first time arriving by train. Common of hotel rooms in Europe, the rooms are a bit smaller than we're used to in the US so we booked two rooms to accommodate a family of four. That option worked out quite well. The property is quaint and the stay was pleasant, everything in the room worked and the location was ideal for us with just a short subway ride to the center of Paris with one change of train. The breakfast room staff were extremely attentive and the selections varied enough to accommodate everyone's taste. Where things could be improved, would be the time spent during the check-in/check-out process. One of our rooms was not ready until 5:30pm on the day of check-in due to some electrical problem the maintenance crew was working on. It would have been nice to just have been assigned a different room rather than wait. Otherwise, we had memorable stay. I'd highly recommend Faubourg Montmartre Souvenirs shop just down the street on 24 Rue du Faubourg Montmartre, they have a much better quality and selection souvenirs than the merchants near the monuments.

    « Loved it! »

We stayed here for a weekend in March. The staff are extremely welcoming and friendly. The hotel itself is in a great location and near to several Metro lines. The hotel is clean and quirky. The rooms small but perfectly formed. It's also very reasonably priced! I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Amazing Service »

My husband and I just stayed here and loved it! I came to Paris when I was young and was duped by online photos so I was nervous on picking a hotel. I'm so glad I chose this one! We couldn't do an early check-in when our flight got us here at 8am but they stored our luggage and had a clean restroom to freshen up while we started our day. The front desk was so helpful! Emilie and everyone provided us detailed directions on how to navigate the metro, recommended and made reservations for dinner for us, and was just so friendly and accommodating..especially when I mistakenly only booked 2 nights instead of the 3 I needed. I'd love to stay here again! Great wifi, close to everything in walking or metro distance and I even noticed on our last night a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower! Thanks for recommendations for drinks at Le Baron and getting my husband some Bouillabaisse from Mollard on our last night! See you again soon!

« Good Location and Cosy Room »

The hotel has a great location in between two Metro stations. You can also have a leisurely walk to Boulevard Hausmann and Galerie Lafayette. Good and inexpensive restaurants as well so you have plenty of options. The room has a nice view of the buildings in front and the street. The room atmosphere itself is very cosy and the bathroom is quite spacious. Love the interior of the room too. Wish I could stay longer. Will book earlier next time and stay longer.

    « First class reception! »

Lovely hotel ,close to the metro and only a fifteen minute walk to Galerie Lafayette, the Opera and the terminus for the airport Roissybus. The bedroom was small but well appointed with a balcony overlooking the Rue Lafayette with tea and coffee making facilities. It had an excellent walk in shower and good lighting in the bathroom. Our planned three night stay was extended to seven nights due to weather conditions at Dublin airport. The hotel reception couldn't have been more helpful in arranging to extend our stay on a daily basis. I would rate this hotel at 5, but for the breakfast which was a little disappointing. « Perfect location »

This hotel has a perfect location for longer walking tours around Paris. 10 minutes to the Opera and Galeries Lafayette, 20 minutes to Montmartre, Pigalle, Louvre, Centre Pompidou, 30 minutes to Notre Dame ... Rooms are rather small, but comfortable, bed is very good, hotel is clean, people are friendly. The only problem was smell in the bathroom, coming from the sewage system. The street is not very noisy during the night and with windows closed there was no problem with noise at all.

    « Great Location »

Great Hotel in a really useful location, around a 20 minute walk from the Gare du Nord. Very welcoming always someone there to help. We had the Superior Double room which was a fair size, with a nice balcony out overlooking Rue La Fayette. Breakfast is superb, loads on offer in a relaxed atmosphere... and the cake is excellent. Highly recommended!

« Nice and central for both Eurostar and sightseeing »

Nice and friendly hotel about 15 minutes walk from the Eurostar terminal. Close to 3 metro stops (line 4 and 12). Slightly dated in parts (lift & corridors) but nice reception/lobby and breakfast area. Breakfeast was great with a very good fresh selection of food/drinks. The room was a good size for Paris with the added bonus of a balcony. Would highly recommend and will use again next time I'm in Paris.

Excellent value for money, good breakfast, friendly staff all round good hotel The location was excellent, also very easy access to the metro lines in Paris and not far from Saint Lazare train station, would return if visiting Paris again.

I really like this hotel! The rooms are very nicely decorated, clean and spacious. Like the lobby. The service and staff are lovely. A very surprising property. They have a good breakfast. The location is just perfect, close to Opera and the netro station. Will return!

« a small and very welcoming hotel »

Rooms are not very big, but are very comfortable. Thw shower is very good. The staff is friendly and forthcoming. Mounir and Georges were very helpful. It is close to the Opera and Galeries Lafayette. There is a metro station nearby and a nice brasserie

    « Decent Size Rooms »

We stayed here part of a tour in November and we were very surprised with the size of the rooms. We loved that we were able to sleep with out window open each night. We loved the bed. It was so comfortable! The lights in hats was a unique touch. We were happy with the bath products. They smelt amazing. The colors were bright and the door handles for the rooms were so cute. The elevator was not great, however the stairs were easy to use and close by. The breakfast had a good selection and the location of the hotel to the metro was good. It was just a short walk to the Louvre. We would stay here again

« Great and convenient location »

This is my fourth time stayed at the hotel this year (2017). Great and convenient location. The high-floor room with balcony for looking over the street view. Comfortable bed, well equipped and air-conditioning in the room. The staffs were friendly and helpful. Don't like the small and slowly elevator/lift. I never ate breakfast at the hotel because it was basic with limited choices. The carpet in the room looked dirty needs to be renovated, or to be changed wooden flooring if possible.

« Old Hotel in New jacket »

Hotel; I think it was an old hotel, holes in the ceiling are taped just as the old head boards. However they did it quite nice. The rooms were cleaned perfectly every day. Beds sleep great and are big! Breakfast staff was very nice, tuesday till friday there were no breads just the long 'pans". The toaster didn't work, if you wanted to toast your bread, the flow of the cooling fell out. I bet the next step is renewing the whole buffet. The whole staff was very Nice, from the incheck till the check out! Perfect.

    « Average hotel »

I stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. I can start by telling you that the location was good as its very close to the metro station and 10 min walk to the Opera, some of the reception staff were nice and helpful. The rooms are very small its either you or the bags in the room. Traffic Noises can be heard inside the room. They provide the normal (shampoo+body wash 2*1)! And if you want a set of shampoo and body lotion you have to pay for it. I had an issue regarding my payment at the check out as my booking was non refundable they deducted the amount(except the tax de séjour)when i made the reservation, and when i did the check out they asked me to pay it again saying that the first deducted amount was only (blocked) and non taken from my account! While the other hotels they only asked me to pay the tax de séjour, so i ended up paying it again.to be fair the first amount was recovered later but honestly for me i had a limit on using my credit card when travelling so this affected me as they blocked the initial payment plus 120€then the last payment, so it affected my trip. And when i contacted their costumer service (by email) no one bothered to reply to my email. Its not bad as a hotel its just overrated by saying its a 4* hotel.

    « Very poor room »

The room was absolutely tiny, so small that the chair would not fit behind the desk and I had to place the chair at right angles to the desk and use my laptop sitting "side-saddle". What's more the temperature control was clearly not working on the shower because it went from scalding hot to freezing cold if you moved the gauge just one millimetre. All in all, very disappointing and I will not stay here again.

    2
    « Not a 4 star hotel »

We checked in last night...the reception clerk seemed incompetent. Our reservation was for two twin beds...we got a double. I went down to reception to make a change and was told they couldn't do it, meaning they never actually reserved for us what we wanted. The room is small, the shower inadequate...I will never use best western again.

« Great location, friendly and professional staffs, can't be better! »

Great location, friendly and professional staffs, can't be better! Warm welcome at reception was exceptional! Every question during my stay to staff was all well answered and helpful during my trip. One little thing, was not fully aware a small bottle of water cost me around 5 euro every day except the night I arrived.

    4
    « Good location »

I have to agree with some of the other people that I'm not sure this hotel should have 4 stars. The access to the bedrooms are down a long, narrow and fairly dark corridor that twists and turns. The bedroom was not very spacious but it was clean. You could see the bedroom had been redone, it's just a shame they didn't change the carpet at the same time and put something lighter in as the lighting isn't ideal. The bed & linen were perfect - no complaints there. The shower took quite a long time to warm up in the morning and there was no pressure in the head so it just sort of dribbled out. I did think that breakfast at 19 euros a head was expensive. There was a good choice but the scambled eggs were completely tasteless even although they looked lovely and fluffy. I did have a problem in my room which was sorted out by the staff quickly and efficently. The hotel does have a big plus in the fact that is very central and close to the main shops, theatres and other attractions and the metro is very close by too.

« Solid place to stay »

This hotel is in a great location..... easy to get anywhere and close to some terrific restaurants. Solid value for Paris. What I enjoyed most was the helpful staff ..... great advice, directions etc. I particularly appreciated Mathieu who showed great patience in help us get on line reservations. Thank you Mathieu.

    « 27th wedding anniversary - promised a lot, delivered nothing »

Arrived and entrance and foyer quite pleasant. Normally Paris hotels have compact entrances. Checked in fine and up to room. Think I got upgrade but should do as diamond card holder. Good start. 2 days before we came I phoned to ask for flowers in the room as it was our wedding anniversary. I was told to phone back and speak to housekeeping when they were in!! That is not a good approach to your customers. However, I then got an email asking how they could make our stay better - great I thought, I would ask for flowers. THERE WAS NOTHING in the room. Why send those emails when you don't action? When I asked reception about this, they were really unhelpful, said nothing could be done and the chap verged on being rude. I think they should remove the sign they have in the reception - see photo Room was tired - 500. There is s large gap around door leading to outside fire exit. Tap in bathroom was loose. Bedside table chipped. Holes in fabric ceiling with sellotape over. Bathroom also generally tired. Room was quiet though. This is somehow rated as 4 star but to be 4 star you need quality rooms with excellent customer service. This is a safe 3 star and nowhere near 4 star. I have had better service in 2 star hotels. Normally I get free water left out and a couple of chocolates (as diamond member) - I had to ask for water and no chocolates. It's a small thing but goes a long way. Conveniently located for Gare du Nord and also Opera, where u can get to most places from. There are cheaper better hotels than this - I have stayed in a few, some were Best Westerns.

« We would stay here again!!! »

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Beds were extremely comfortable. The morning breakfast was amazing. Though the rooms are a bit small we loved this place!!! It was a central location to get everywhere we wanted to go do and see. Many options of nearby food.

« Convenient location but very dated interior »

Stayed 3 nights. Bed is so tiny. Single bed size. Ok for petite. Uncomfortable pillows. Shower area is compact & badly designed. Toilet papers will get damp when Lousy view from hotel window. Worst, the room is so dim.

    « Disappointing. »

The staff deserve a 5/5 for their kindness, however the hotel doesn't deserve a 4*label. Our room(103)on the first night was so small we couldn't fit our small bag and ourselves! The walls were very thin and our neighbours must have been suffering from jet lag as we could hear them sighing from about 4:30am. The cleaner came into our room ...uninvited at 8 am asking "service"! The shower overflowed, due to what looked like leaves (tea hopefully!) blocking the drains! Oh and the plug to charge our phone didn't work either so we used the one for the lamp instead. To be fair, I did complain and was told we were going to be moved to another room. This they did, but only in the afternoon so we had no use of a room for half a day! We only stayed for 2. The new room was much better, slightly bigger, comfy beds and clean. If we had been given this in the first place my rating would have been a 4. People travelling with lots of big luggage beware the rooms are very small even for Paris standards.

    5
    « Really good hotel »

This hotel is a really good one I had a nice stay at this place People from the staff are really helpful! Breakfast is ok, the room was really equipped! I can recommend it! The location is perfect! Just few blocks from Lafayette galleries! There are a lot of restaurants and shops around!

    « Great Hotel! »

I stayed 4 nights in this hotel. I am glad of this choice as the hotel had everything I was looking for: a comfortable bed, soft linen, impeccable cleanness, great view, not-street noise, tasty breakfast and friendly staff. I will be back for sure next year at this hotel :)

« Best kept secret in Paris »

This hotel used to be the Jules, but is now the Best Western. The service and hotel is still the best, and the staff are beyond friendly. All of this, plus the fact that it's about 50 meters from the metro stop, make it a must stay while you're in Paris. I've been staying there for over 15 years!

Good Staff, Clean and Confortable Bed, Small and Basic Room. Breakfast was basis and Decent. Room size was very small and carpet needs to be changed. Bed was very comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful. Can stay again just because of Staff and comfortable and clean bed.

    « bad reception service »

1)anybody say you hello or welcome when you enter in the hotel: you have just to wait that somebody asks you what do you want...2) dress code of the reception staff is messy and with any style 3) reception staff did't know that we understand french and so we had the gently experience to listen their comments about my husband work: it was bad manner example 3) breakfast is served in a close and sad room, without a window!!! ... "non ci siamo proprio!!!"...

    1
« Do not use safe in hotel »

Stayed at this hotel and used the safe in the room....we just discovered that I lost $2,500 from my wallet that was inside the safe which was locked, thinking back it happened when I had breakfast before checkout. Unfortunately was already in Belgium when I discovered the missing money in my wallet.

« Uncomfortable room - you can do better »

Most mid-range European hotels are very small, especially by U.S. standards. What matters as a guest is whether they're intelligently designed to provide a shelf or two to unpack, or - at a minimum - someplace to put 2 carryon suitcases other than the floor. Our room was among the more tiny ones we've stayed in, but also had zero surface space other than a tiny desk. The problem of where to put our small suitcases could have been easily solved with a second folding luggage rack, but the front desk denied our request because "There is only one luggage rack provided per room." There's no excuse for rationing these inexpensive items and our constantly tripping over the remaining bag squeezed between the bed and wall. One other gripe: we used WhatsAp for text and calls throughout France wherever we had Wifi. At this hotel, oddly, only the text feature of the ap worked - the calls went through but without sound. We assume the hotel's Wifi was unusually weak and the phone service needed a better signal.

    « Loved staying here! »

My husband and I were pleasantly surprised with our stay here. We think Best Western purchased an existing French hotel because it certainly had a "French" feel to it. Our room was very comfortable and had plenty of space. We had two doors leading to the balcony that overlooked the street. The bathroom had an adorable medicine cabinet and towel warmers. The delicious breakfast had a variety of selections. The staff was excellent and accommodating. An extra plus is it is located just a short walk from the Metro. All in all --- a great experience. We hated to leave!

« Hotel ok for easy staying. »

Nice small cozy hotel in a very convenient location easy to get taxi and metro. Rooms are comfortable even AC not very easy to adjust as too hot or too cold. Bed and mattress are ok. Bathroom not bad. Wifi weak. Breakfast simple and not many options with so so quality. Personnel nice and gentle and helpful. Price ok considering normal Paris expensive hotel fee level. Ok for business stay.

« ROBBED DURING STAY - Hotel not to be recommended »

I WAS ROBBED DURING MY STAY: Valuables stolen out of room amounting to 4.500€. Management denies every responsibility eventhough no physical break-in traces were found / our room was the only one targeted / rooms are not lockable from the exterior / housekeeping reacted suspiciously after being asked if they had seen anything irregular (hastily whispering after losing sight of us). The hotel management argues that, due to the key card reader not showing any suspicious key-card movements they can not be held responsible - eventhough the hotel staff uses physical keys to enter the door and therefore can not be tracked. These hints support the assumption that the hotel staff had something to do with the burglary. The management is not at all cooperative with handling the issue and keeps stating that - as no traces were found - they are relieved from every liability. The reception even stated that these incidents happen on the regular.. Not good! ONCE AGAIN, I RECOMMEND TO AVOID THIS HOTEL.

« Good option for Paris »

The hotel is well located near the city centre. The service was nice, and people where very welcoming. The rooms were pretty clean, though I am not a carpet fan. I was expecting more noise since it is in a busy street but not at all, il was quite calm. On top we were lucky and found a discount for this hotel so we got a good price.

    « A great week »

We visit Paris first time. Because we always travel with our dog, we searched for a dog friendly hotel. This hotel has fully met all our expectations. Our room was very comfortable, nicely decorated and we could sleep very well. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The breakfast surprised with a great selection. Around the corner is a bus stop and the metro is also just two crossroads away. Walking distance to the Seine Island on foot takes only twenty minutes.

    « Our stay »

I spent 3 nights at the hotel with my son. The rooms are very small but functional and clean The service of all the team was excellent they did all they could to assist us in making our stay in the hotel comfortable and in Paris enjoyable and we really felt welcome. I would come again in my next visit.

    « Always Best Western »

Stayed in this little hotel for 4 days in May 2017. The location is perfect, close to metro stations and bus stops. About 50 min. from airport with metro. We walked to many monuments. There are many restaurants and cafes, pharmacies, and markets around the hotel. We stayed at room number 510, we had a balcony and the street view was nice. I believe the room was bigger than other Paris hotels' rooms. We were able to see the top of Eiffel tower at nights. Room was clean and well-equipped, bed was big enough and comfy. Also very silent. Employees were friendly and helpful. We used to stay in other Best Western hotels in other cities and never regret it. Thanks for all, hope to meet at other locations.

    « BOUTIQUE HOTEL: YUCK!!! »

This place is billed as a boutique hotel which means that no one over forty, weighing over130 pounds, or having more than a carry-one case for luggage should try it. There was very little furniture: No dresser was especially a disappointment. The beds were small. The tub wall was designed for a seven footer: it was too hard to get over. They refused to turn on the AC so we sweltered for three lousy nights. This place made Motel 6 or Red Roof Inn look glamorous. Okay, now the good stuff. They had the best breakfast EVER!! The breakfast crew worked hard and fast to make fresh food. The overall staff was quite good but understaffed. They didn't do the requested wake-up calls for the first two nights. For the third night I bribed them. IF one meets the above requirements, I guess it was okay. This place was booked by our tour company. I gladly would have paid a hundred dollars more a night for a DECENT room.

    « Great stay »

All good, apart from one member of staff in breakfast room appeared very unfriendly...nothing was said, but you felt you shouldn't be there.. Also, morning we checked out, we had cleaner knocking on door three times to see when we were leaving room despite check out being midday.... Having said that, we would certainly return to the hotel as everything else was great.

    « Freezer »

Even the weather is very cold in Paris, Hotel's heater was not working. So everybody was sick because of this issue. When we ask the reception, they only offered us to give some blanket, that's all. For the rest was quite ok.

« Excellent Hotel in Excellent Location »

Best Western - Opera Faubourg is located very nicely (about 2 mins. walk from Le Peletier - Metro) and about 10 mins. walk to Opera in the heart of Paris. Room sizes, although a bit small are nicely decorated with modern designs and installations. The cleanliness is very good and the staff are very friendly in accommodating requests from the guests. Overall, we enjoyed our stay in Paris and in the Best Western - Opera Faubourg.

    « Disappointment »

The standard room is way too small for 2. I stayed there with my 16 year old daughter and the bed was 140cm large. The room on the first floor was facing the busy avenue Lafayette. Quite noisy with the metro sound under the building. Not enough space around the bed and the carpet looked very dirty. No bathtub. No refill of coffee or tea bags on the 2nd day of our stay. Quite disappointing for a 4-star hotel. Pictures look great on the website but the hotel is not aging well.

    « April visit »

I traveled with Road Scholar group. There was another group there at same time who ate so much of the breakfast offering that there was little left for us. I felt it necessary to be waiting at the door at opening time. Food was good and staff efficient and very pleasant, just overwhelmed. Great location for walking, metro, and restaurants. Reception staff were wonderful.

    « Better/larger than expected. »

I kept reading on trip advisor about how small the rooms were so I was a bit concerned about the size of the room. We are a family of 2 parents, a toddler and a teenager. We got the largest room size they have and it was fantastic. Def. much more space than I anticipated. There was a king sized bed and full size pull out couch in which my daughters slept. The room was very clean, modern and updated. The bathroom is beautiful as well and had all we needed. The metro station is half a block down..we found it so easy and convinient to use. The hotel is just three short stops from the Louvre. There is a mcdonalds about three blocks away (in case you need more americanized fast food) but you wont need it, the area is filled with hundreds of wonderful parisian restaurants and coffee shops. If you need a supermarket, their is one a few blocks away which made it easy to buy milk for our toddler. Try the bakery across the street...for 2 euros u can get a freshly baked croissant and freshly brewed coffee! Delish! One last thing, the hotel has a mac computer and printer in the lobby which was a lifesaver! Had to log on to my email to print something out and was able to do so with no hesitation. Oh! and Free wifi! Any questions, just ask!

« Was glad when check put arrived »

I choose this hotel due to the great reviews it got on tripadvisor and booking.com I have no idea where these people stayed as this hotel is just awful. The staff at the reception were very friendly but the placed smelled, it felt like it had never been properly cleaned. I stayed in room 609. The room decor is very dated and the room size is tiny. The bedding was white and looked clean. The bed was comfy but the room did not look or feel clean. There are some questionable brown marks on the carpet. If I had known this hotel was so dirty and shabby I wouldn't have booked it so it also makes me question who on earth is leaving these glowing reviews for this hotel... Paris is an expensive place to book a hotel but I would most definitely recommend you book somewhere else...

« Good Hotel in a convenient location »

We had a pleasant stay in the hotel. The hotel is in close proximity to two metro stations which enables easy access. Staff was very helpful and attended to our queries and needs without hesitation. The hotel is very clean. Beds are very comfortable. Good value for money. prefer if the rooms were little more spacious. Room we stayed in ( deluxe tripple) had hardly enough space to keep our luggages. If the breakfast menu can be changed at least twice a week with more varieties it will be great. Otherwise a person who is staying for a longer period will be bored with the same kind of food.

    « Warm French Welcome »

Welcoming and helpful staff. Room comfortable and clean. Hotel well situated for transport links. Breakfast a mixture of English and Continental which was a buffet style service. Breakfast staff very attentive and helpful. Would stay here again and recommend.

    « good location »

This hotel is located very close to a Metro station, but is only a short walk from Opera if you feel like a stroll. We were not too sure when we walked in if we would like it - the reception area is small and not too impressive - but the warm welcome from Mounir dispelled any doubts. Our room was on the 5th floor down a maze of very narrow corridors but the room itself, although on the small side, was very good. I don't ask for much beyond a comfortable bed, clean sheets and clean bathroom and this room delivered on all 3 counts. Plus points: two sets of french windows opening onto a small balcony, air conditioning, large towels, large bed. The only disappointment was the quality of the toiletries - only an all-in-one hair/body shampoo - no conditioner or body lotion, so anyone thinking of staying here would be well advised to bring their own. (Note to management - the scary magnifying mirror on the wall is great if you are 1.85 tall - not much use if like me you are only 1.65m.) I can't comment on breakfast - we ate out in a local cafe, but the staff were all extremely friendly, helpful and obliging. Would I stay here again? Yes!

« Central location and clean & tidy throughout »

Paris hotels can be a bit hit & miss, but this hotel has been updated and it's rooms, although rather small, are very well presented and clean. Even though it's on a main street, at least on the higher floors, it's quiet. Breakfast is in the basement and typical continental. A reliable place to stay and convenient location. Front desk service is welcoming and helpful.

    4
« Great Place To Stay »

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. The Metro stop, le Pelletier, was very close and it was easy to get to most points in Paris from there. The only thing missing was airconditioning. Although it was March, we found the room very hot at night. But other than that, a great place to stay.

    5
    « One word......fantastic »

Absolutely brilliant time in Paris. The hotel was perfectly situated on the main metro line so we were able to literally go anywhere so easily. The staff were absolutely brilliant. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be returning at some point. Really did not want the stay to end.

« Excellent hotel! Will return! »

Very nice hotel, nicely decorated, good service, and a good menu. The location is great, very close to the Gare du Nord, Lafayette, Opera and shopping district. I am definitely visiting again and can thoroughly recommend. My room had a bath and balcony.

« Medium class hotel well located »

I recommend to ask for a quiet room as most rooms appear to be located towards noisy streets. The Location of the hotel is good and easily accessibla by subway and in Walking distance from Gare du Nord.

    4
    « Central stay »

Great location! Steps to several Metro stops. 15min walk to Gare de l'Est where we arrived, grocery store just around the corner. Helpful and friendly staff. Rooms were small but I suppose typical of European standards. Beautiful view from the 5th floor and surprisingly quiet when balcony doors were closed. Good breakfast selection of hot and cold foods, although in basement with no windows so a bit dark and one day too warm. I can't remember his name but the one member of the breakfast staff (the man from Sri Lanka) was so kind, welcoming and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

« Great Location and helpful staffs »

I stayed here for 4 nights and have a pleasant stay. Since I did not received my luggages from the airline and the hotel staffs help me to contact the airline twice a day (maybe three times a day!). Even in the end i still did not get my luggages but I'm very appreciate their kindness. I made a non-breakfast reservation but they give me for free *happyyy* or maybe because i stayed there for 4 nights. I highly recommend this hotel, the location is perfect (near 2 metro stations, Le Peletier and Cadet). I will come back for sure :)

    « Very good Hotel »

In all parameters it a very good hotel. The room was clean the bed is cowsy and a good bathroom. The brakfast was good and taisty , but was not included in the room price and that shold be considered. The service of the hotel worker was good for any need that necessary. The location is great on Rue La Fayeete, near galery lafayetee. Very recommended hotel.

    « Paris weekend »

We chose this hotel as it was quite easy access from the airport via train and metro and quite central for the sites. We booked in at 11:00 as we'd had any early flight and wanted to leave our cases. Had a room on the 3rd floor overlooking the road which was fine and there was no road noise unless we opened the windows the room was small but had a walk in shower which we had requested. The sink bowl was cracked but everything else was clean. The room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels etc. We didn't use the breakfast room as we went out for breakfast. Reception and bar lounge area was ok.

    4
« Good hotel at good location. »

Nice hotel, trendy equipment. I like the lamps :). Lots of cafeterias ,Carrefour store around the corner, close to metro, shopping center and parking. Rooms are tiny but don't forget-you in Paris. It is enough to sleep, rest of the day your out anyway.Stayed in on the last floor with nice small balcony.

    4
« Very well located, friendly staff, rooms well equipped »

We stayed there 4 nights and were very happy with the central location. Friendly staff and clean Paris-sized room. Good noise insulation against street traffic. Lots of bars and rests closely nearby. We did not test the breakfast but the price seems OK. Clear recommendation, we would stay there again.

« To choose if NO other choices »

Hi everyone, I booked through Agoda, like every single time I travel... 1) Even if you have payed fully , you explained you won't buy anything in the hotel, they ask your credit card... god knows for what.. 2) hotel consider himself modern... not at all. 3) external company that comes and clean/take care of flowers ... whoever did pass by my room, left the window open, smoke in the room... ( DND sign at my door ). 4) A tax for 2 Euros ish per night per person is asked... when you check out... but again... no way to know about it... even on agoda ... just double checked. 5) The garbage outside the hotel is non stop.. please keep in mind that it is not the best area in town. The positive point is the location and reception staff. Cadet metro next door , mcdo , Starbucks , bakery ... honestly for the same price... check around ! Staff at reception is attentive and receptive . Speaks a good English.

    « ?Great Location ... Cosy Room? »

The air-condition in the room that I have stayed only hot-air, and the room is facing the main street, therefore, it is very noisy to keep the windows open.? The location is great; closed to metro station , restaurants and grocery store.

    « Excellent Hotel »

The hotel offers large, clean rooms with great service, as well as a delicious breakfast (for an additional cost). Staff was very helpful with all of our questions and needs. Right near the #7 Metro. Slightly quirky decor, but overall a great stay. Can't say anything negative!

    « Great stay! »

I stayed here with my mom for 3 nights. The staff are very friendly and helpful they even help us to send our package to La Poste ( we are sending a gift for a friend in other city ). Room is clean. Metro Le Peletier is just a few walks away, surroundes by many restaurant, cafe, and there's a convenient store just right around the corner. Will stay here again if I visit Paris

    4
    « Good location »

My husband and I stayed here for the first two nights of a group tour of the Loire Valley. There were very good restaurants, and a Metro station within walking distance. The rooms, as one expects in Paris, are very small, but these were very comfortable. Ours had a small balcony overlooking the street, but with the doors closed and the blackout drapes pulled it was quiet and dark. We also like to sleep in a cool room and that was harder. The air conditioning didn't really cool and, as we found all over France, duvets are too warm. The breakfast room is in the basement, and the food selection was standard and good; scrambled eggs, Canadian style bacon, toast, cereal, yogurt etc. The decor is somewhat British, which may not be to everyones taste when visiting France, but a pleasant staff and comfortable surroundings made for a nice stay.

    4
« Good space for a trip to Paris »

Not a bad hotel for a short stay in Paris - probably the best Best Western Ive stayed in tbh. The good: - Rooms were clean and well presented - albeit a little small (pretty standard for Paris I guess). - Breakfast was basic but enough to get you going for the day. - Location pretty good - about a 5-10 minute walk to the main shopping area around Opera - Loved the balcony off our room - we could even see the top of the Eiffel Tower Could be better: - if youre not going to provide international plug points anywhere in the room then keep some adapters around for customers. Having to purchase one across the road for 15 euro - The lifts broke down about 3 times during our short stay - not a biggie for us as we didn't mind the walk up the stairs but some of your older customers really struggled

« more than moderate, good, excellent place »

Check-in must be latest at 14:00 not 15:00. Main elevator was out of service for three days.Should have been repaired in one day. Staff were friendly and nice. Place was excellent and very close to almost every single point by walking.

« Nice, trendy hotel. Great location! »

This is a cute, trendy hotel located in the 9th Arr., 3 miles or less from Gare du Nord. It is close to two Metro stations, tons of restaurants, night life ANYTHING else you may need! Amazing people watching. I was fortunate to have a room with a balcony (room 305) with incredible September weather. I tried to load photos of my view but my iPad is acting up. The room was clean and it looks exactly like the photos. The bathroom is small but very very clean. The lobby is clean and trendy. The lobby bar is small but it was a popular gathering place as was the terrace. Hotel staff was very friendly and they put up with my terrible French. The breakfast buffet is good as well, but get there early or closer to end as it gets crowded. The buffet attendants offer you a banana to go when you are leaving. That's a nice touch. I used the laundry and dry cleaning services and they were excellent and timely. Oh one thing! There is no iron & board in the rooms so request one when you check in. This actually ended up being a blessing as I ironed all my clothes really quickly and didn't have to iron again for the rest of my stay.

    3
    « Small but Decent »

As with most reasonably priced hotels in the heart of Paris, the room was tiny. With barely room to walk around the bed, it was a cozy fit. But the room was clean (although it smelled very strongly of perfume) and included all necessary amenities. It's a short (less than 5 minute) walk from two metro stations, a 15 minute walk from Gare du Nord and walking distance to the Louvre (about 20-25 minutes). The neighborhood is rather busy, but that means there are plenty of restaurants and small markets nearby. The staff is very helpful and fluent in English. The hotel does have a single (small) elevator.

    5
    « Highest praise »

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet, despite being on a busy street. The breakfast was more than adequate, especially the coffee, bread, cereal and fruit. But it was staff that made it a superior experience. They were never too busy to give suggestions, make dinner reservations, etc. We left something of value in the room when we departed. It was easy to communicate with them via email, and they found the item and promptly sent it to us. Some Americans might find the rooms small, but that is typical for Europe. We liked the location. Wander one or two streets off rue Lafayette and you will find charming cafes and families going about their normal activities. It is also close to shopping, like Galeries Lafayette. Treat yourself to a drink on top of this department store and see the top of the opera house and many landmarks.

    « Great Location »

This was our first trip to Paris and we chose this hotel based on location and it was perfect. The hotel was very nice and just as per the pictures, it was a bit smaller than we are used to, but it was typical room size for Paris so we didn't think it was an issue. I would definitely stay here again if we ever came back to Paris.

    5
« Superb Staff, excellent location »

Staff couldn't be more pleasant or helpful. They spoke perfect English and humoured my schoolboy French. We arrived very early but were able to check in and be in our room almost 4 hours before official check in time..fantastic customer service. The room was lovely and clean with tv with just a couple of english speaking channels, a safe, free wifi, tea and coffee facilities and very limited toiletries ( maybe they thought I was travelling alone? ) The location is fine with 2 Metro stations within 100 metres of the front door.

« Clean, friendly and comfortable »

Stayed overnight for football trip, staff were welcoming and friendly. As rooms weren't ready they pointed us in the direction of a decent restaurant for lunch Rooms were small but clean and did what was required. Shower/bath area very small but not a major issue

« Great location, good services, room needs improvement »

All in all a very good hotel. The location was great as it was walkable from the Nord train station and right next to the Metro. Front desk agents spoke very good English. The room, although very clean and well-maintained, needs some improvement that should be easily fixable. The A/C in the room was dripping water. We had to put a towel on the floor to dampen the dripping noise. Also the shower was poorly designed that the floor will get all wet as there was no door or curtain, just half a glass window between the shower and the floor. I also found the pillow arrangements to be inconvenient, especially the big round pillow put against the headboard that takes away 1/3 of the bed's length. It was a bit of an inconvenience having to move it aside every night since that pillow is so bulky. Other than that, I would recommend this hotel.

    5
« Little gem in the heart of Paris »

I find it to be very great value for money. All the rooms are very new and clean. Staff is very nice and professional. The only criticism I have is that the bath tub was dirty when I arrived. But other than that I always use this hotel when I need to :)

    4
    « Will definitely return »

Fast & friendly service, well located on a pleasant walking distance from the opera area. A junior suite has been offered by the very friendly staff who always have a lovely smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and have most important very comfortable ( and large) beds and great showers !! Will definitely be back !!

    « Gracious Professional Staff »

The staff is gracious, polite and very professional. The room was excellant: quite, clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is walking distance to all the historic sites, shopping and public transportation. I enjoyed my stay and because of the quality of the hotel my trip was perfect. Thank you for the warm, wonderful stay in Paris.

    « Excellent 4-Star Hotel in the 9th District »

This hotel is an excellent choice to stay in the middle of the action in the 9th district. altough it's located on a very busy street, the hotel is very quiet! Newly renovated (with a theme) and very clean, this hotel was one of the best I've stayed in Paris. After a red-eye flight, I was nicely accomodated with an early check-in (thank you). The room was large and very well appointed. One comment: one of the two chairs in the room disappeard in the middle of the week... I have no idea why! The included breakfast buffet was also one of the best in a Parisian hotel, cold and hot, with eggs, bacon, sausage and baked beans! Even REAL maple syrup from Canada! Even if I very much liked my entire stay, I have three comments. 1) the AC is very minimal as mine was set at 19 celcius the whole week and it was never enough (yes it was very hot in Paris). 2) the toilet paper in my room was like sand paper... 3) when I reserve a double-bed, I appreciate having a double bed, not two single beds stuck together (yes, I know this is a standard in Europe, but still). I would surely stay there again.

« Awesome place, worth the money »

I booked this hotel via bookings.com and got a fair deal of EURO 287 for 3 nights (Without breakfast). The place is centrally located, 100m walk to nearest METRO station (Le Peletier). The receptionist speak english, help you out with routes to main touristic attractions. Rooms are clean and hygienic, albeit small. I got a street view and the view from Balcony was amazing. Housekeeping do a good job. I havent had breakfast at the hotel as they are lot of good restaurants outside. You can get the best crepes, breakfast/brunch, pubs/bars/cafe nearby. If you want airport pick up/drop, please call/email the hotel authorities and they will book one for you. It is about 60-70 euros or lesser if they book. If you take a taxi from airport, they might trick you by saying 80-90 euros.

    4
« Comfortable room and good service »

Had a comfortable bed and good reception service at this hotel. Air conditioning here definitely was welcome with the summer heat. Didn't try the breakfast as I would rather enjoy the nearby patisseries. Location is convenient and a mere 5 min walk to the nearby Le Peletier station, as well as a 10-15 minute walk to Galerie Lafayette.

    4
    « Great stay !! »

Centrally located, very convenient for planning your sight seeing as it is a stones throw from the metro stations and bus stops. 5 minutes walk from Gallerie La Fayette. The rooms are clean and have all Amenities. The access to rooms is secure ( keyed access to elevator), which is a huge feature. Excellent housekeeping services. The rooms are small but you are in Paris and if you are coming to Paris to stay in a hotel room for most of your visit then book elsewhere. Breakfast has variety - hot and cold items to choose from. Great service at breakfast . The front desk staff is excellent. We have to compliment Cathrine for her excellent customer service. She is very pleasant and helpful. She always smiles and gets whatever you need. Our baggage was delayed by 3 days - the hotel did not have toothbrush or toothpaste. They also ran out of band aides. But other than this, our stay was very comfortable.

I stayed here in a family room fitted out for 3 sleeping (my 2 sons & me). All the beds were comfortable and the room size was more than adequate. The location is brilliant for the visitor with easy walks to many key locations and the Metro about 1 minute walk away. The reception staff were extremely helpful, rooms & public areas were clean and the price very reasonable.

« Short family break to Paris »

We had a great four day break to Paris staying at the Premier Opera Faubourg. When I made the booking I wasn't really sure how good the location would be but we all agreed it was fantastically placed to see all of the sights of Paris. As we were travelling with older teenagers we were able walk to Sacre Coeur and Montmartre past the Moulin Rouge and onto the Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower before heading back to the hotel. The hotel is also very close to a couple of Metro stops which we used the following day to visit the Musee d'Orsay. There is a very convenient Carrefour City just around the corner from the hotel and Gare du Nord was a 15min walk away when we needed to get back to CDG airport to catch our flight home. All in all - a very good hotel.

    4
« One block to the Metro »

Very tiny rooms and tiny bathrooms. Very clean. The location was ok but it was nice being close to the Metro. Breakfast wasn't the best -- smallish dining room -- always running out of items. But it did offer the basics. Loved the Cafe across the street to the right -- excellent food!

« Junior suite: always a good choice! »

Room: I stayed in the junior suite many times, with my father and brother as the room can accommodate three persons (1 big bed + 1 sofa bed), and we all like this room. It is spacious and the design is very nice. The bathroom amenities are very well chosen (Nuxe), that's always nice in hotels rather than an old fashioned soap that dries your skin out! Breakfast: The breakfast area is not very big, but the choices are very tasty. There are both sweet and salty choices. The pastries are very good! ;) Location: The hotel is in a very nice area of Paris, with many restaurants and bars nearby. There is a metro stop five minutes away from the hotel by foot (line 7, Le Peletier), which is good. The hotel staff is nice.

    « A Surprise Visit »

We were trying to get from London to Omaha Beach, when there was yet another French Rail strike, so our journey came to a halt in Paris for 24 hours. I did a search on a travel site and we wound up here. We loved this hotel. It's within walking distance to several nice restaurants. The staff was wonderful. The rooms have a very modern look to them with comfortable beds and nice showers. I would gladly stay here for a longer time.

    « Average »

Some kind of hammering noise in the afternoon took away our nap. (I know, life is rough.) And the coffee machine in our room didn't work. When we called the guy at the desk said he was the only one working (it was nighttime) and he couldn't bring us a new one. For a four start hotel, it's an average place. The concierge that came up to the room was really nice, however.

Wow! Wow! Wow! I have stayed in a lot of hotels around the World but Opera Faubourg was one of the best 4 star hotels in Paris because of its location which is 15 minutes by walk from Gare de Nord Station, the warm welcome, the english speaking staff, the comfortable mattresses and a cosy room with a beautiful view. We were very grateful to be Upgraded to a deluxe room due to our wedding anniversary and also had fresh macroons for us in our room!! We did not try the food or breakfast at the hotel as we were hardly at the hotel but I am sure it would have been good! Guys Stay at Best Western Prenier Opera Faubourg and you will not be disappointed! I am definitely staying here when `i visit again!! Thank you Best Western and until next time! Bye Z K

    « Fabulous location »

I stayed here for one night and the hotel is in a great location and really close to some great restaurants. The room was lovely, very clean and had everything you need, stocked fridge, kettle, hairdryer etc. also has English TV channels... Great value and I had a balcony with street view and couldn't hear any street noise. Really comfortable king size plus bed. Highly recommended and have stayed in other very good Best Westerns in Paris. The rooms are small but all rooms in Paris are small unless you book a chain or 5 star plus. Perfect for a weekend break. Really friendly helpful staff.

« Decor and Service Excellent »

My room had a wonderful view of the streets of Paris Its decor was stylish and creative (loved the phone booth) Very clean and smell clean Staff was accommodating to us getting up late for breakfast. Enjoyed the experience so much that I was looking for same in Florida... that was aonther situation though.

« Great value hotel in Paris »

Comfortable, clean well-located hotel with many dining and metro options nearby. The staff were always friendly from check-in to leaving my suitcase after check out. The room was on the small side but all amenities functioned well (TV, instant hot water, bar fridge) though the design of the shower stall was prone to leaking. My room had balcony access which was a nice option for checking out the street below. Overall a pleasant stay.

« Extremely cute in a very safe funky location »

We threw a dark at the map of Paris and landed at this hotel with zero research and less of an expectation. This is a British themed boutique hotel that is very cute. The staff was as good as we have ever had, the room was very clean and kept that way by them every day. We expected only a double bed and we were given an extremely comfortable queen. The opera district turned out to be perhaps the area to stay, feet to a metro and in the center of great shopping, food and very interesting walking. We will go back in a blink.

    « Just OK »

Used to be Jules Hotel. Stayed there couple of times. Other than the location, the hotel itself is just average in terms of service and quality. The rooms I had are small in general. Standards have not improved much after it became Best Western.

We had a great stay. Loved the street view. Very nice clean room. Freshly decorated with cute decor. Very comfy bed. Helpful staff. Convenient location. Will definitely stay here next time we're in Paris.

« Poor Customer Service despite Good Location »

We experienced poor customer service when the bar refill guy just knocked on our door ONCE before he swiped and entered into our room while we are changing. As a reputable 4-starred hotel, Best Western should knock on guest door for at least 3 times before entering into the room. It is a very rude and scary way of doing their business especially for single female traveller.

    « Definitely NOT 4 Star »

Thankfully I had my room changed or this review wouldn't be as nice. Upon arrival I found the safe in my room was not functional and called down to reception. I was informed it didn't work, period. Then I noticed the clock was also not functional so I called down again and they said someone would be there to fix it tomorrow. I politely asked for a room with a working safe and clock tonight! They found me one on the 4th floor and I was moved there. The room was much larger and nicer and I settled in for my 4 night stay. The hotel is located far from the city center but the metro was easy enough to reach and without a transfer one could get to the Louvre. I did a lot of walking from there. The staff at this hotel is very nice and helpful, thanks to all of you. The breakfast was merely okay, certainly nothing to get excited about. The area was quiet and I got a decent nights sleep every night. The coffee/tea kettle was a nice touch, but this is no 4 star hotel. A Nice 3* though.

« OK hotel in good location. »

The hotel is listed as 4 star, but our group thought it's more 3 star. Kind of cute with its British theme with bowler hats, plaids, bulldogs, and army blanket-like wool drapes. Very noisy street, the A/C wouldn't work, lights out on our clock so couldn't tell the time, one person's shower leaked, another's A/C blew up and leaked, the carpet throughout the reception area was dangerously wrinkled, and the desk staff tried very hard to push 1 particular restaurant for dinner (complete with a card stamped by the hotel to present at the restaurant). That was enough reason not to eat there.

    4
    « Comfortable overnight stay »

I was here on business, not spending long in the hotel, but very good for an overnight stay. Clean, comfortable and convenient to where I wanted to be. Selected this particular hotel due to exceptional rate on booking.com; thus I was a bit worried it might not be the best - sometimes you get what you pay for - but far from it. I wasn't disappointed.

    « A great place to stay »

Nice and comfortable hotel. The rooms are clean and cozy. Great location, near the La Fayette, metro and fabulous restaurants. Nice Lobby, colorful with modern interiors.I enjoyed our 3 nights stay in this hotel. The staff are also friendly and nice. I will definitely come back.

« Best Western Premier Opera Faubourg »

Good check in experience after a 15 minute walk from La Gare du Nord.Nice Lobby with New York Times Euro edition and a small bar and sidewalk tables on Rue Lafayette.Elevator small but it works,Wi-Fi was good, even though English TV was promoted it was not available. My room was small but clean, even on the sixth floor there was street noise but hey it's Paris.Express store one minute away with wine, beer, cheese, fresh fruit, sandwiches and snacks....very reasonable.Forty minute walk to La Seine, restaurant across the street "La Generale Lafayette"serves a decent lunch or dinner at a decent price.I'd stay again.

    « Great Location »

Hotel is in a great location!! 2 Metro Stations with in 200 Meters of the hotel door, Moulin Rouge about 1 KM walk, Paris Opera and Galleries Lafayette. It took us 15 Minutes to walk to the Louver as well. Rooms are on the Smaller side, but it is an Europe. Loads of Cafés and places to grab a drink. Bonus was the Carrefour just around the corner to pick up wine , Water and Chocolate!!! Our Room had a view of the top of the Eiffel Tower in the distance which was a bonus especially at night with it light up. Good Value Hotel

    « A Gracios and Comfortable Hotel »

Considering I made a last minute decision on what hotel to stay at while visiting Paris, I could not have been more pleased with my three night stay in Paris at the Opera Faubourg Hotel. I opted to try public transit as a way to get to this hotel from Orly Airport and it was fairly simple, take the tram to the subway and then get off at Le Peletier and walk straight ahead about one block. The only disappointment I had was lack of noticeable signage and where the hotel entrance was. Just so you might know...the hotel entrance is almost made obscure by the adjacent pizza shop with its flashing LED signs; but, the flashing LED did make it easy to spot the hotel once I became accustomed. The reception desk is extremely pleasant, courteous and helpful. There was always someone on duty to be of assistance and offer advice. This is an older hotel that has had a remake in a somewhat avant-garde, if not funky, interior makeover. I requested a quiet room as I now Parisian streets can be noisy at times and I was placed on an inside room, overlooking a skylight onto the lobby, that proved exceedingly private and quiet. The bathroom was a pleasure following two weeks of travel in Scandinavia where their design cultural propensity is to have showers the size of telephone booths This room had a large glass enclosed shower as well as a long and deep soaking tub. Lighting was excellent and the bathroom amenity selection was generous. The only fault I found with the bathroom is a lack of any form of handle on the wall to assist in getting out of the deep and slippery soaking tub. I was afraid the housekeeper would come into the room in the morning and discover me sleeping in the tub...but, I finally managed to get out after some effort. The guest room was extremely comfortable, the wi-fi worked well and there was generous programing on the flat screen TV. This hotel provided the most comfortable bed on my entire European adventure and the bed linens are of excellent quality and felt great when you climbed into bed. After being on the road visiting throughout Scandinavia this hotel was a welcomed treat and I would not hesitate returning at a future date. The big surprise is this hotel is a member of Best Western and though a premier, unfortunately I don't believe a lot of Americans will grasp the 'premier' designation and how more upscale Hotel Faubourg Opera is compared to their grandparents roadside Best Western in the USA. Congratulations of a very nice hotel!

We have been recieved very friendly by all people at the hotel. The room was very good . The bed was good too. Y will return to my next voyage to paris and y´ll recomend it to all my friends. The hotel is very well located and near metro what turnes very easy to see all interesting points of the city.

Nice Location, easy access to all the attraction plus the station. Cozy little rooms with balconies. We had a issue in the shower of water not draining properly, but once we notified the reception, it was resolved. So overall a good stay. Reception staff could be a bit more knowledgeable about the city.

    « A very good choice »

After 2 (two) months of planning and searching the most suitable hotel for our trip to Paris, Best Western Premier Opera, didn't let us down. Personnel was very helpful and understanding. Because we stayed long (9 days) they upgrade our room for free. Only two small comments, the lighting in the room was poor (romantic but poor) and the ventilation of the room weak. For the rest, recommenced !!!!!

    « A pleasant stay in a lovely hotel »

We stayed for 2 nights. We arrived at 10am to drop off our bags and we were told there was a room ready which was great. The room was lovely, very clean and stylish. We had room service the first night as we had an extremely early flight and a full day sightseeing. The room service was good and well priced. Breakfast was good too, more continental options than a hot breakfast, but ok. The staff were very helpful, we checked out early morning and arranged us a taxi to the airport. The hotel location was good, very close to a metro station which is a great way to get around. It was well within walking distance to all sightseeing areas.

« As usual in Paris... »

The standard room was smaller than in pictures, but clean and with some funny details (lips on the wall). Lobby British style...Great location, 20 minutes walk for Louvre and Tuileries garden. Expensive breakfast

« Nice stay for a Paris Weekend »

The room (beds) itself was comfortable, even if the room was a little small - we were upgraded at no extra charge to a larger double room...plenty of choice at breakfast and the location of the hotel was great. The whole point of booking this hotel was that we were travelling by car - and I requested this hotel as it advertised of having a car park....and it hasn't!....so apart from having to trek about 500m with luggage - you'll be hit with a 32€ a day parking fee additionally...plus the room was VERY small.....probably OK for a weekend but not much longer than that. The hotel was also quite noisy, possible Metro trains passing underneath.

    « Finally a nice bedroom »

It's a pleasant hotel with a dedicated staff. Even if I had issues obtaining a room without ventilation issues, the room 107 where i slept was perfect! For a shopping therapy in famous Parisian general stores(galleries Lafayettes) this hotel is a convenient choice.

We had a perfect stay. Our room was at the 4th floor, we had beautiful morning light and a good view. Everything was very clean ad tidy. Room is ok compartmentalised - there is room for clothes is you choose to get them out of the luggage. Staff was always very nice and helpful. Only kind words! Will def come back again

    « Nice location »

The room was a little bit noisy (metro can be heard), but nice. Tiny and not too clean bathroom. Frendly, helpful staff. The breakfast is the same every day, but tasty. What we liked: easy connecting and speed wifi everywhere in the hotel. We would give 10/6.

Staying at this Best Western was definitely one of the highlight of our Parisian weekend. The location is perfect, the staff very nice and the rooms have everything you need. We loved the interior design and enjoyed our balcony with the view on the Parisians roofs. A place to recommend ...

« Small room for two, central enough to get to the shops, and metro is just a few steps away »

Cordial staff; they didnt mind giving us directions to places, recommending cafes, and getting taxi rides for us. We got a corner room and was quite small even for a boutique, I think. Literally, there was hardly a space to walk on esp that my friend and I each had a mid-sized luggage and a carry on, though the bathroom was interestingly spacious. Not quite sure but the train is quite nearby (or beneath the edifice, perhaps?) that youd feel a little tiny shake whenever one would pass by, though nothing close to being scary. You can prolly request for a bigger room when youre checking in. It's a good and rather safe neighborhood even when youre coming back late from a night out (two Asian ladies travelling here), and/or a show (Moulin Rouge for us). Bed was big and comfy enough youd fall asleep in no time after hours upon hours of strolling. We stayed here for three nights. Breakfast buffet was basic but adequate. Will stay here again, and recommend too!

« Excellent solution in the heart of Paris »

Kindness and promptness of the staff, cleanliness and confort of the rooms, great location close to everything! I booked late in the evening and I catched a very very cheap rate. No need to say that Best Western will be the first choice for my next stay in Paris and that I'll recommend it to my other friends and colleague.

    « Incredible Location! »

Ah this hotel is fabulous! Upon arrival there was a mix up with the rooms, we had requested a second floor suite via email as someone we were travelling with felt uncomfortable being in a room on a high floor. They were unable to find the email for quite some time but eventually found it. We had to spend one night on the sixth floor but were swiftly moved to the second floor on our second day. We were also offered complimentary drinks which was a kind gesture. The suite was in a separate hallway to the standard rooms and our room was facing the side of the hotel. This meant that it was incredibly quiet which was great because the main road can be quite busy. Unfortunately we had no balcony which was disappointing. The room itself was a little 'faulty towers', our air conditioning wouldn't turn off at one point and a few plug points weren't working, however the staff were incredible, they were so helpful and kind. The breakfast was also lovely there was definitely something on offer for everyone. The location of this hotel is incredible. I was on holiday with keen walkers so we were able to walk to everything and didn't need the metro once. We were able to walk to The Eiffel Tower in 30 minutes and Sacre Coeur in 25 minutes. There were great restaurants near the hotel also. It's really easy to get from the airport to the hotel. We took the train from the airport to Gare Du Nord, and a bus went straight from there to about 5 minutes away from the hotel which was fantastic! The hotel was spotless and had some funky decor. We had a great holiday here and I would stay here again if I returned to Paris without a doubt.

    « GREAT PLACE »

I came to this hotel on a blind eye, and little did I know it was truly a gem. The rooms are well sized, the decor is modern paris and the location is superb. One thing that stood out was the high caliber of hospitality the staff played. One of the front desk associates by the name of Antoine deeply cared for all my room requests, and above all gave me the best recommendations for places to eat and drink in the city. I will definitely be recommending this hotel to my peers.

« Good choice to stay »

The location is very convenient by walking distance to get to La Fayette and the Opera area for shopping and theaters. There are also nice restaurants nearby, some Chinese too. You can also take the Metro to Champsélysées just a few stops away. The Buffett breakfast is the most best in the region.

« Very nice boutique like hotel »

I spent my first two nights in Paris at the Best Western Premier Opera Faubourg early January. The hotel is within short distance to the metro stop at Cadet, which makes it very easy to get around. The staff at the front desk are very helpful, I having needed their help to call taxis twice. Check in and check out were fast and efficient. I didn't take the breakfast, since I couldn't eat that much for breakfast to justify the 18 euros. The hotel is a odd Mod British theme, which is very cute. I am not sure what the reasoning behind it though. The room is very nice but small (that's typical of Paris). I had a queen size bed that was really comfortable with many pillows! Everything was clean and worked well, except the hot water faucet didn't really turn. The toiletries were really good quality also. However the major problem with the hotel is, that the wall/door is extremely thin. Right next to me were kids and they were running back and forth in the hallway, while I was trying to get an early sleep (around 11:00), because I had to take an early train. It might be a problem because of the layout of the building. Aside from that, I would recommend this hotel.

« Great location, very friendly staff »

We really loved it there. This is a clean and relatively modern (compared to other Parisian hotels) hotel. The concierge service was excellent, they hooked us up to a restaurant on Christmas Eve on that very day, where we paid 65 bucks per person for a six-course dinner with everything (alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, coffee, etc.) included. Amazing work.

« Comfortable stay, good location, disaster of a hotel »

We stayed here for my girlfriend's 21st. Having booked through EasyJet we got a fantastic deal. But I believe this is where the problems began. When we arrived having had a fairly long wait for the bus at the airport we were greated by a friendly member of staff, I handed over my debit card and once he'd come back from the office was informed that he wanted to take 30€ per night (120€ for our stay) to cover "mini bar and room service". I had expected some incidental block to be put on my card but half as much as the booking for 4 days seemed excessive (it seems they think 4,50€ for a bottle of water is fair. This is not advertised anywhere in the booking, so was a bit of a shock. This was followed by us being woken before noon by the cleaners barging in without a knock (we arrived just before midnight). All these things could have been resolved by one, being clearer about the check-in costs, and two, communication between the staff and bookings (I had to replace my key card on the second day because they thought we were only staying one night). The hotel is a solid 3 star, and would have been rated higher had they kept to a standard which is almost universally expected (talk between departments). P.S. it's right next to the metro and a short walk from many great attractions.

    « good, but odd!! »

stayed here for three nights from Christmas day. very welcoming staff and a quirky room. We had booked a one bedroom suite. very comfortable bed... very large and a very good bathroom.....two sinks, shower, toilet and very deep bath. two tvs, one in lounge area and a well stocked mini bar. stayed on room only and didn't have a drink in the bar. British bulldog figurines abound as does a british telephone box.

We went to Paris without reservation, and thanks for Patrick, the Hotel manager, he found available rooms and we enjoyed our stay. The hotel has a good location, near the Grands Magazins and the Opera Garnier. The rooms are on the average size and the breakfast is good. The price is very welcoming, making a good choice.

    « Stylish, charming, central »

This hotel's design features a lot of small design elements, which give it a boutique feel: 1/ the walls in my room were covered with a soft material, which I discovered by accident, but what gave an otherwise typically small Parisian room a special feel 2/ the lamps in my room were made into hats that Charlie Chaplin would wear 3/ the hallway was elegantly designed and the fact that it wasn't straight made it cooler 4/ when you come to have breakfast, they ask you to sign your name and room number on a piece of paper, which is already there, but instead of a pen you get a pencil The wifi connection here is fast and unlimited. The breakfast offers good quality food, but the selection is quite limited (no fish, for example). The staff is very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth coming back to.

I have never seen a service as much as awful as this hotel. Once here , We was given a very small room in a strange angle in the hotel. Then , and in the middle of the night, we were asked to pay all the stay before they can give us any service (like a baby bed that we asked for), in the moment I'm writing this, The receptionist told me, his following orders, I took a picture of baby bad.

« Beautiful hotel in beautiful city »

It comes with great sadness that I write this review when Paris has been attacked and the city stands in mourning. It came to my attention that I had not reviewed my hotel from my stay with my partner back in September 2015. It reminded me how this city is my favourite in the world and I keep returning because of the culture and its people. When we got to the hotel we were upgraded to a gorgeous room with a balcony looking over Paris, I love the architecture and the mood of the city and found the room amazing, modern and cosy to my liking. It came with a safe, hairdryer, amazing bathroom and bed. We were not disturbed by sounds of traffic or noise. The hotel is in a good location a stone's throw away from the metro station Le Peletier which is a few stops away from the Louvre and other tourist spots. The hotel is also close to the Paris Opera house and in the opposite direction is Gare du Nord train station that lies its underground train RER B that takes you straight to Charles du Gaulle airport, you don't have to rely on taxi's to the airport, we did it this way and found it great value and very easy, we flew on a Sunday morning and there was plenty of trains to the airport early enough. Near the hotel lay a pub called King George's which I loved, homely food and drinks for a great value, me and my boyfriend are not the most adventurous with food so we liked it here and the Hard Rock Cafe was a ten minute walk also, so it suited our needs. We decided not to do the breakfast option at the hotel and often found a creperie around Paris for ours. The staff are wonderful at the hotel and even brought are drinks up to our room because we were lazy! Being northerners we thought this was wonderful. Wonderful accommodation for a wonderful trip in the most amazing city in the world, trendy and romantic. Merci beaucoup!

« An Amusing Attempt at Being British »

This boutique hotel attempt to emulate all things British is a bit cheesy at first glance. However, the staff and rooms (just ignore the mounted bowler hats) are very pleasant. My friend and I arrived on the first night to discover that the hotel rooms were overbooked. But Adel the night duty manager, was very helpful and resolved the issue professionally and to everyone's satisfaction. After a short call, we were booked into another hotel in their franchise chain (which was an upgrade), a cab was called to take us there and the fare paid for. We were promised that when we returned the next morning (cab fare paid for), we would have an upgraded room ready for us, and complimentary breakfasts thrown in. True to Adel's word, we had a super room ready and waiting for us, and the staff were sure to tend to our every need. The breakfast was in a strange 'British' themed dining room. But the food was superb. There was gluten free bread available for me, and lots of items to eat with it. The hotel is situated on the famous Rue Lafayette, and a mere 10 minute walk into the shopping centre of the city. The staff are informed and able to recommend great places to eat lunch and dinner, when you mention the hotel, you receive a free drink and possibly a small discount too. A great little franchise with very helpful professional and friendly staff.

« Long weekend in Paris »

Spent hours searching Trip Advisor for a hotel with a great location and capable of accommodating 2 adults & an 8 year old at a reasonable price - my searches kept bringing me back to the Best Western Premier Opera Faubourg and I have to say I was very impressed! All the staff were excellent; they couldn't have been more friendly and we were always made to feel welcome and greeted with a smile. We booked a suite (room 600) and it had a great bed and lovely big bathroom - decent size sofa bed too - I can't comment on the other bedrooms but I couldn't find fault with the one we had. We had breakfast in the hotel every day and again couldn't fault it - nice mix of fresh baguettes, rolls & pastries, salami, ham, cheese, yoghurts etc - if you're looking for a "traditional English" then this probably won't float your boat but come on, you're in Paris so go for the croissants & pain au chocolat! The decor is quirky to say the least but for me this all added to the charm of our stay - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to any of my friends.

    « week-end away »

we decided on this hotel because of its price and location. Overall the experience was good, the rooms as over guests have stated are small but most in Paris are similar. The room was kept clean and tidy which to us is very important. We did not have the breakfast so cannot comment on its value. We had several friends staying with us and they were of the same mind on the hotel and that the beds were comfortable. There is only one thing that we found annoying and that is the usual noise factor, mostly it was quiet, but for some reason I was woken twice on one night and once the next with a loud vibrating set of 6 bangs, as if someone was banging a large hammer onto a concrete floor. Our friends were aslo disturbed on saturday night by a group of idiot guests slamming doors, shouting and running around the corridors between 4 and 5 in the morning. When our friends complained the next morning the receptionist at them time gave a sad response, it was saturday night what do you expect. I do not think this is an adequate reply for such an issue so if you want a sure quiet night I would bear this in mind.

Love the rooms. Super tiny but that's what's to expect from Paris. Love the art and the details they out in there details. Nice staff! Helpful and friendly! A little minus is the basement breakfast and no refill on the tea. I would definitely go back!

    « Bed Bug Problem »

Do not stay at this hotel! On September 15, 2015 I stayed at this hotel as part of a tour group and was attacked by bed bugs. On getting up in the morning and going into the bathroom, I noticed a brown bug fell off my nightgown onto the floor. Later, in the morning, on returning to the room, we were locked out; a new room was assigned and our suitcases were moved. We were given no explanation. Soon after I began experiencing several ?bites? which I found out later were trademark bedbug bites. I still have red marks a month later. The hotel has not acknowledged the problem after repeated attempts to the tour operator.

« Confortable Room but service and breakfast are poor »

Hotel very well located in the heart of Paris. Rooms are comfortable with a British touch. Sound proofing is correct even for rooms on the Rue Lafayette. Unfortunately, the waiting time at check in and check out is very long because the staff spends time arranging taxis for guests and the breakfast room in the basement has no outside light and it is not the best start of the day. Will no go back there.

    « Just don't. »

Stayed here for business only because of it's competitive rate and proximity to the office but will not return. The hotel is in serious need of a facelift; the room was tired and worn, the bathroom dark, and the hallways musty. I actually asked to see another room, thinking mine was a bad egg, but the others were no better. Will not return.

« Great hotel in Paris »

When I booked this hotel I had no clue what I had gotten or much about its location in Paris. Come to find out this was an absolutely amazing hotel. The staff was great and super helpful. The location was great as it gave us access to all kinds of wonderful things in Paris. It was also great that there was a metro entrance very close by. Our favorite part was the cleanliness of the place and the views from our window/patio where we could see the Eiffel Tower. Overall, we had a great stay and would love to return!

« Fantastic Trip to Paris »

The room we stayed in was comfortable, clean and bright. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There were numerous choices all delicious and tasty. The professional assistance at the front reception made our stay pleasant. We would like thank all the staff at the hotel, and a special thank you to Patrick, the Butler. His helpfulness and knowledge gave us a genuine experience of Paris. We enjoyed the classical concert, a breathtaking dinner cruise down the Seine and the magnificent gardens of Claude Monet. Also the helpful suggestions in getting around and our visit to majestic Montmartre. Thanks once again and we will be back and stay at this hotel.

« July Visit to Paris »

Staff was excellent, location was close to opera and louvre, a bit of a hike to eiffle tower. Staff was excellent at providing information and assistance. Map of paris was a bit too detailed and made it hard to use, perhaps a map with less detail (major intersections) would be better.

« Ideal boutique hotel in Paris! »

I have been to Paris many times since I was a child to visit friends & family as well as for business. This time, I was there for a couple of days with my daughter on our way home to the US and all I wanted was to stroll around this magnificent city and take it all in, no pressure to see anything or anyone. The 9th arrondissement is my favorite district (I have childhood memories of when I used to visit my aunt who lived next to Notre Dame de Lorette church), so I booked 2 nights at The Best Western Opera Faubourg and it was everything I was hoping for and more!! Amazing neighborhood, REAL PARIS, close to the Opera Garnier, the big Dpt stores but also close to the Louvre, le Marais, Montmattre. Great cafes and restaurants nearby. The hotel recommended Au Petit Riche: what an experience for our last dinner in Paris!! If you want to eat delicious French food and dine in an atmosphere reminiscent of the movie Midnight in Paris, Edith Piaf, Charles Trenet signing in the background and outstanding service: this is it!! I loved the hotel's whimsical decoration. Our room was small but practical and cosy, very quaint, beautiful bathroom. I especially requested a room on the street because I love the view of the Parisian boulevards but you can request a room overlooking the inside courtyard. The service was excellent and courteous. I was about to make a reservation for a taxi to take a very early flight at CDG when the hotel employee recommended their partner shuttle service. I was so pleasantly surprised. A chauffeur with a black mini-van picked us up at 6AM. We picked up another couple at another location and we were at the airport in no time for a fraction of the cost of a taxi!! These 2 days were a Parisian dream. I have found MY hotel in Paris!

Hotels are all about the staffing and the front desk staff were fantastic. Professional yet friendly right from the check in to when I needed help and getting me an umbrella on a rainy day.
