We are ideally located on the 12th District on the right bank opposite to Gare De Lyon. All rooms include dataports, radio, hairdryer, alarm clock and cable television. Come and enjoy our friendly hospitality at the Best Western Aurore. Enjoy your stay!
Nice, neat and clean room. Nice and friendly reception and very helpful. Nice, comfortable beds and catered to our family of 5 with no worries at all. Close to train station and other amenities. Would stay again.

Dear Chris, Thank you for your comment. I'm so glad to know that you enjoyed your stay with us. We will be happy to welcoming you again. Corinne and her team
We booked this hotel, based on the location, directly with the hotel. It is a 30 minute walk from Notre Dame and all other main tourist spots. The receptionist, upon our arrival took a copy of my passport but not my credit card. The room, of which there were 4 of us in, was adequate. It was a family suite, 2 queen beds and a cot. Not a lot of room to move, but we were there only to sleep. The bathroom was spacious, the shower was huge. The woman at the front desk, spoke little or no English, but we were ok with it, as our 15 year old niece has studied French for years in school. The second morning there, our niece asked the woman something in French, the woman rudely told our niece to stop speaking in French as she couldn't understand her! Our niece was mortified at her tone and what she said to her. It was uncalled for. Breakfast was 12 euros a person, which included sausages, eggs, yogurts, packaged biscuits and jams, coffee and tea, juice. A bit steep, but you are in Paris. Trying to call the front desk from our room, which we tried on 2 separate occasions, was not productive. The line was always always busy. So, we had to make a trip downstairs and speak to them in person. The night before we left, I ordered a cab for the next morning, and said we were checking out. When we got to our room, the front desk staff called and said the credit card machine was not working, and if we could pay in cash! Over 600 euros!!!!!!!!! I told my sisters there was no way we would pay cash, as we didn't know where the money was going. So, one of us went down and filled out a paper credit card permission form. We filled it in, and it took an additional 4 days, of emails back and forth, to rectify this situation. The cab we ordered, unbeknownst to us, was an additional 10 euros, for prebooking. We had an early flight, so didn't want to miss our flight. I wish the front desk staff had let us know this, beforehand.

Litterally 5 mns from the Gare de Lyon. The receptionist is very welcoming. Hotel in general is good. The rooms are a good size, the curtains are kitch as for the headbed, bed confortable. Bteakfast not included in price of the room -13 euros the breakfast.

Dear Natasha, Your comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks for your great comment on our friendly staff. We know how much the quality of bed is important for our guest. We hope to see you again! Laurence and Corinne
The only positive aspect for this hotel is that it's near Gare de Lyon and public transportation. My room was very small, badly furnished, with dim lightning and with a small window hidden behind a wall. Insulation from outside noise was not good. There was only place for hanging clothes, no chest of drawers. Bathroom was small, and the shower far too small - it was impossible to move within, without brushing either the walls or the sliding doors. Breakfast was ok with little choices, in an underground room with no window. For some unknown reasons, one day they requested the room key to be left at the reception when I went out, claiming that the hotel was close to the railway station and it was better to live the key (but then why was it requested one day only???)

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent visit. We are sorry to learn that Internal noise has affected the comfort of your stay and the service was not as you expected. We request the key everyday, for secure reasons. We hope to have an other opportunity. Laurence and her team
There's not much to be said about this hotel. The best part about it is that it's almost just across the street from the Gare de Lyon so if you need to be near the metro or train station it's an excellent location. Otherwise the hotel is small, the rooms look old and there's not much to be said for the actual accommodation, but there are great restaurants and bistros all around. It's reasonably priced as far as Paris hotels go, so if you're looking for reasonably cheap accommodation this place is okay.

Dear Robert, Thank you for taking the time to write a review following your recent visit. I am glad to know that the location of our hotel was perfect for your trip in Paris. Our room. I am only sorry however to know that you found our bedrooms to be slightly smaller than expected. You are right, there are some great place to eat, near our place. We hope to see you again. Corinne and her team
The staff at the front desk were exceptional, especially Antonietta, Gwendolen & Ivan. They were warm, friendly & helpful and made me feel at home!! It was my first trip to Paris & they were always willing to help me out by providing expert advice to make the most of my stay & they were all fluent in English. I loved my room, it had plenty of space, was very clean and had a lovely balcony to look out at the city!! It's also in a very convenient location close to the metro & there are lots of restaurants and bakeries in the area too. Good free Wifi as well. A big thank you to Antonietta, Gwendolen & Ivan & the rest of the staff for making me feel so comfortable and at home in your lovely hotel!! I will definitely stay here again when I return to Paris!!
We chose this hotel as it was minutes away from the train station. Reception staff friendly and spoke good English. Room comfortable and clean but a bit on the small side plenty of places to eat and drink nearby
Stayed one night in single room as I had to catch a train early in the morning, so location was perfect. Reception not a lot to shout about, but staff very friendly and responsive. Room was great, very clean, lovely air-con and clean well kitted bathroom. TV only with French channels but there was complimentary water and kettle, usually not found in continental hotels. Good free wifi Bed very comfy. A bit of noise from trains and other rooms, but for the price it was a good place to stay. Did not have breakfast but plenty of places around the hotel. Would return if I had to have another stop-over.
Nothing much to look at from outside. Reception staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. Rooms are small but clean and have everything you require for a couple of nights. Some lovely restaurants within walking distance and excellent location for Gare de Lyon.
When we arrived we were not impressed looking at the outside in a dirty side street, staff were very helpful and spoke English then went to room on 4th floor, well that was the surprise. Huge Room with two double beds and a single, big bathroom and lovely bath bits and pieces. Tea and Coffee and really well decked out, walls have metal decorative skyline of Paris with subtle lighting behind which looks really impressive. Really nice décor and especially as my bed was covered in Union Jack cushions and duvet cover. Excellent inside. We would definately use it again!
Due to a problem with my return flight, I had to stay one more night in Paris. I booked this hotel because it is at 2 minutes walking distance from the Gare, where I had my TGV train leaving at 06.30 a.m. The hotel is under restructuring. I had a room close to the lift on 3rd floor. The room was looking onto the street but it wasn't too noisy outside. The bedding was very good. Floor is wooden. The room was tiny but there was space enough to move around. The fare of the room was very competitive, if considering that I booked it on that very night. A nice play to stay at, near the Gare!
It is a small hotel with some funny features such as the reception which is just a couple of tables slung together with a tablecloth on top. Receptionist guy was helpful and pointed me to a nice brasserie down the road. (L'Européen) Great wifi in small but comfortable rooms. I stayed there because I had to catch a train in the morning to Orléans (Gare d'Austerlitz - also close to Gare de Lyon) Voilà. PS : the picture of the pillows with the American theme have absolutely nothing to do with the hotel :-)
The only reason this isn't getting 5 starts is the hotel is currently undergoing renovation and it's kind of torn up. But everything else about the stay was really good. Front desk staff is very nice and helpful. Location is great for transportation (Gare de Lyon and Gare Austerlitz walking distance). Restaurants are close by. The hotel breakfast is great. Room I had was fairly quiet, nicely appointed. The wifi worked with speed. During my stay the cleaning of the bathroom seemed like it didn't happen although when I arrived the bathroom and room were quite clean.
We chose the hotel purely for its proximity to Gare de Lyon - it's a 5 minute walk. The hotel was kind of what I was expecting for a 3 star under 100 EUR in Paris; tiny Superior room and rather basic facilities. The previous guest had made tea in the kettle complete with teabag! However the room itself looked recently refurbished with clean linens and a large, comfy bed. Due to the location it's pretty noisy and the soundproofing between rooms is poor. I did find the next morning that there was a switch on the wall to lower electric shutter over the outside of the 2 French windows. This may have helped with the traffic noise, so it would've been good if we'd known about it the night before! The little reception area is currently undergoing refurbishment so don't panic on seeing the bare plaster walls at arrival - both guys we met at the reception desk were friendly and polite which was a plus. I'd probably stay again for 1 night but if funds allowed I'd probably spend a bit more for a four star hotel.
We chose this hotel because it was within 5 minutes of Gare de Lyon and we had an early train the next morning. Lots of restaurants in the area at reasonable prices. One strange thing about this place is they insist you leave your hotel key card with them everytime you leave the hotel. This is annoying but they have staff working 24/7 so I guess it doesnt really matter. Rooms were comfortable and clean so not a bad place to stay for a short visit.
Stayed 3days here 24th-27th June 2016, the room pictured is the one we stayed in, great location just round corner from gard de Lyon station and walking distance from Accor arena, the staff are excellent, so helpful and friendly, I needed my boarding passes printed for return flight and this was no problem for the front desk staff, would ighly recommend this hotel, no noise heard from street even although it was facing the street, mall hotel but the room we had had air conditioning, bathroom small but nicely done and tea coffee supplied also shower gel/ hair wash, overall the staff make this wee hotel and the front desk staff all have good English, would I stay here again definetly.
Just 5 minutes walk from Paris Lyon Gare station. Modern recently refurbished rooms. Metro station, super market 2 minutes walk. There are 2 Indian restaurants Angeethi & New Delhi (each in the opposite direction) which are 15 minutes walk ( using Google maps). New Delhi restraunt is across the bridge and is better and in a safer area next to the police station. The area seems a bit shady at night, but that's the case with most big cities around the world. The hotel room is nice, clean and has all modern amenities. The staff is helpful. I got this room from booking.com for 150 euro but the hotel was having a promo and selling the same room for 79 Euro a night. Also our flight was at 10pm so the hotel allowed us a paid late checkout at 5 pm for 60 Euro which was a lot considering that they were having a promo for an entire day for 79 euro. I guess in future I will email the hotels to see if I can get a better deal if I book directly, if yes then I will cancel my booking through booking.com and book directly.
I travelled in Northern European n Baltic Sea cruise totally for 1 month . I checked in this hotel on 5/31 and checked out on Jun 3 paying Euro 189.00, 207.00and 152.20 rep. Plus Euro 12.00 for daily breakfast. The 1 st nite was on 1st fl which was small , noisy( could hear people talking on the street n the cars passing by), the toilet seat was 90 degree facing the sink which shaped like a plate; I had to sit 45 degree on the toilet seat! The shower door was leaking so bad which wet the floor badly! The worse part was the floor was tilted and uneven which kept my luggages rolling. We complaint to the front desk and it was a full house , nothing could be done ! Besides , we were told all the rooms are the same with tilted and uneven floor! Next morning , we were arranged to change to the 4 th floor with better lighting , more quiet and slightly more spacious . However, the shower door was leaking badly too . The housekeeping was awful ; not clean , didn't make the bed , no tissue paper and the shower was empty ! One thing we felt good was the ground was lesser degree in tilting ! Another strange incident was the magnifying mirror was set so high you have to be at less over 6 feet tall to look at it eye level! No matter the room and the breakfast were the worst I came across in my whole trip! Surprisingly, the staffs were great and helpful ! I have to admit I really appreciate the manager assisted me to store my luggages after my arrival Paris so that I could visited Nice without carrying all the heavy belongings !
Was flying in late so just needed a bed and a shower before moving on to lodgings the next morning. Although it was a non-smoking room the linen stank of smoke. The bedroom furniture looked like it came from a church dormitory. The place is tiny anyway. In all fairness the bathroom had been done up and was bright and cheerful and based on other TA revues am guessing they hadn't got to finishing this room yet. Generous coffee and tea amenities. Windows to street not double glazed so plenty of noise however I travel with earplugs. Easy walk to Gare de Lyon and plenty of cafes and a small supermarket close by on Rue Diderot. A hop on hop off tour boat service is easy walking distance on the other side of the Seine. Worth getting the 2 day package as you can get off at any one of the stops to wander more widely in an area. Many, many, many historical sites within walking distance. So location excellent but hotel quality, 2 star.
Rooms are not soundproof as advertised. Pathetic little mirror in the room, no toilet roll holder, the floors and walls feel unstable. Staff do replenish coffee and milk. Staff seem friendly and a good location. It is more about putting up with staying there rather than wanting to stay there.
The hotel is in a nice location if you need to access Gare de Lyon or Gare d'Austerlitz. I stayed here for one night on a short layover en route to Spain. The hotel is easily accessible by the metro, and seems like the rooms have been recently renovated. The room had a cute skyscraping type accent, and was clean. There was still a pretty strong smell of paint in the room. There's a safe, but it isn't even screwed down. The wifi is free, but painfully slow. In any event, the room itself was nice, small but what do you want. The bathroom was nicely done. Booked online and and got a pretty good rate. I stayed in room 101, which shares an outside door with room 102. When trying to leave in the morning, I couldn't get out of the outer door. The main tried from the outside door - but she couldn't open it either. She said she would go to the front desk to get someone to open it. So admittandly, my french isn't any good - but it was pretty clear I was stuck in the room - and she knew which room. In any event, after some waiting, and more waiting nobody came. The phone had no instructions how to call the front desk. Tried 0, tried R, and a few other things - no luck. Eventually picked the lock with a credit card from the inside to get out. Got downstairs to find the maitre d' smoking outside. Asked him if he knew I was stuck in my room and he said no. Then tried to explain how there was a miscommunication with the maid - somehow he checked the wrong room or something... uhm ok. I didn't really make a big deal out of it at the time because I needed to store my bag and you catch more flies with honey that vinegar. BUT... C'MON MAN, you left a guest locked inside a room?!?!?! So even though the staff was generally nice - the service gets a rating of "Terrible", and overall poor for the hotel. Had they come and resolved this, I probably would have given a very good. Maybe next time!
Enjoyed my 2 nights staying here in September, had a lovely freshly decorated room on the second floor and hotel was only a short distance from the Gare de Lyon station for my onward journey via TGV, hotel is only a short distance from metro stations which will take you to all the sights, also close to the river Seinne which is a pleasant walk towards the Eifel tower etc. Did here strange underground rumblings vibrating through hotel but thought it was quite unique and was only during the daytime, Staff were also very helpful and can recommend this hotel for enjoyable short stays in Paris.
We were getting the train out of Gare D'Lyon the next morning s after arriving by Eurostar and getting a taxi to the hotel this place was ideally situated. The Brazilian receptionist was excellent and fully fluent in three languages. She was really helpful during our stay. The hotel is very good if you are looking to stay a night somewhere nice or if you will be out sightseeing in Paris all day. It doesn't have the facilities if you are looking for a hotel vacation if you know what I mean, but as a base for a day or even a week this would be the ideal hotel. The lift is a little small if you are of a certain size! Our room was really nice but the only reason I have given this hotel four out of five stars is that the bed was very small. Now I know Paris is seen as the city of love but the size of this bed was cosy by anyone's standards!! Again if you are of a certain size like myself then you might want to ask the hotel about bed sizes before you book. A really lovely hotel though with very helpful staff in an ideal location if you are travelling from the Gare D'Lyon onwards.
Nice rooms at a reasonable price. Right next to Gare De Lyon train station which was perfect for us as we got in late and left early from there. A little bit of a walk from the major sights (1/2 hour plus) but it's a nice walk if the weather is good. We loved the decor in the room (red wall with black silhouette of all the major sights in Paris with special lighting). It was a nice touch. The breakfast wasn't included and was too pricey but found a great bistro across the river instead!
My third time here before getting an early morning train to Perpignan. This time on my own. Single room was comfortable. Air con and a fan. Good shower, comfortable bed a very good night's rest. Hotel staff very helpful and willing. Breakfast was good, although the hot stuff doesn't appear until 7 am. Will definitely stay again. Oh and a great price.
This hotel is very well located, close to the Gare de Lyon. It is easy to go from there to all the main attraction in Paris. Altough they are doing some renovation work, I was able to get a very good room for me and my family. The quality of the rooms was excellent, and the service of the personnel was extremely good. I booked the room through the best western web page so I was able to get a good discount for the weekend.
Check-in was okay. Personnell on site very friendly and competent. Hotel just leaves a lot to be ddsired for. There is a construction going on and the elevator is full of debris. Room was more than tiny ( we were two adults both over 6'5")and cramped with stuff. Air conditioning did not work so a mobile unit was in the already small room and the pipe was going out the window which forced us to leave the window open all the time (noisy streets all around). The shower was terrible ( all new tile etc but...) only a shower curtain which stuck to the body because there was no room to even turn in the place. I stayed in many Best Western Hotels stateside but this one in Paris cured me and my husband and the rest of the group travelling with us. There is just nothing good to say about this place. Just sorry we wasted time and money. Its below anyones standard some cheap motel can easily outdo this place.
My wife and I were looking for a room close to Gare Lyon and I am so happy we decided on this property! I had mixed feelings about BW b/c we don't typically stay at their properties in the U.S. but the price was right and there were enough good reviews to take a chance. Upon arrival (early) they held our bags so that we could explore the city then upgraded us to the 'family" room b/c they thought we'd be more comfortable (I had mentioned that my wife was currently 5 months pregnant)! The staff (I met 4 of them during our stay) was extremely helpful (our ac was broken in the room and they provided us with a fan, perfect), friendly (gave us tips on where to eat, etc.), and spoke great english:) A+ experience and I would recommend this property to anyone traveling to Paris. Its close to the train station (RER, Metro) and about a 10-12 euro taxi to the Louvre and 15-20 euro taxi to the Eiffel tower (both can be walked too).
Starting with the good points.. the hotel is located close to Gare de Lyons and this makes travel quite easy. Stay was quite uncomfortable due to small cramped room, continuous disturbance of trains underground We were supposed to pay at the hotel, but the credit cards would not work due to some error in the machine. When travelling with small kids in a different country, having to pay money unexpectedly can be a set back. Check out the location of the hotel properly before you travel.. people at Gare De Lyon pointed us in different directions and we ended up walking quite a bit with luggages and kids.(we knew the hotel to be very close and hence did not take a taxi initially) Would not stay there again, mainly due to the cramped location and noise disturbances (we were given a room on the ground floor, room 2 if I remember correctly)
Good value for money in Paris! Rooms are quite small but enough you need. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with free wi-fi connection. Very friendly staff, at the reception, of the hotel. The hotel is just around the corner from Gare du Lyon. And walking distance from Bastille.
I selected this hotel because it was really close to the Train Station (Gare de Lyon), I have been in Paris a couple of times and I think this is the first time I got a nice hotel with a nice price. The price was better in the Best Western webpage than in the other hotel webpages. The location is excellent, you can go to all the main attractions by metro, and it also located in a nice area. The room was clean and the personnel was very helpful, which is difficult to find in Paris. Excellent option for travellers.
I personally feel this hotel is not worth the money. If you are looking for a quick place to stay on business near the Gare de Lyon, there are pleanty of choices...this one should not be inluded in your choice list.
This was an excellent place to stay for us. We used both the near by bus stops and the near by train station to get to Versaille and around Paris. Accommodations were small, as many in Europe seem to be, but we had quiet and good bed. This may be a little far from some of the sights and museums but with buses can be gotten to rather easily. Breakfast was very good but overpriced. Mathieu was very helpful in helping us locate places and in recommending places to eat.

Kind regards from all of us and especially from Mathieu:) lauren.
The hotel looks modest from outside but rather well maintained inside. The staff was warm and helpful (though needed update for grocery shopping info around -- supermarkets ARE open on Sunday and even Easter Monday). Wifi connection was excellent. Our room was small, but enough for 2 adults and 2 medium-size suitcases. Fair bed, sufficient desk space, and a wide range of TV channels. Clean and functional bathroom with hairdryer, which would have been better if a rug were available for wet feet. The shower could be too powerful for the drain, as water inevitably spilled out. We spent the Easter Sunday there and heard no traffic noise from our street-side room. However, the door leaks let us hear other guests' talk in the small doorway, which did not annoy us but could be a problem for others. Like some other hotels, only 1 receptionist took care of the lobby, and the hotel might be locked up for 5 or 10 minutes when the person is away. We didn't take our breakfast there, and would suggest Tarmac (5 min away, corner of rue de Lyon/ Ledru-Rollin) for a decent brunch at a similar price. Compared to other 3-star hotels in the area, this one is relatively closer to the public transport (Air France/ Gare de Lyon train and metro accesses/ bus stops), and, of course, the riverbank if one would like to take a walk.
