"Non-accomodating Accommodation!"
Julie-Anne H, 10 Avril 2024

Worst experience ever at a hotel! Before booking, I checked if an early check-in was possible, because of our international flight arrival time, and was assured that the hotel could accommodate. I called the hotel directly and was told to check with them the day of. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were refused early check-in very rudely without the desk clerk even checking. It was raining heavily that day, and my husband has a chronic illness that requires him to use an oxygen machine. They did not care and very disrespectful asked if I had ever traveled before. This angered me and I shot back that this was not the first time travelling or booking a hotel room and that I had booked hundreds as part of my job. We left the hotel and got soaked trying to find an early restaurant opened. We came back hours later and was finally given a room after pleading with the front desk. The room was ok, and we would have likely had an ok stay had that front employee not been so very rude. I received an answer to my survey accusing me of lying about my husband being ill. Again, disrespectful and not accommodating at all. I know, from past experience, that a hotel, especially in the off-season, is very rarely 100% booked. We were so disappointed with the treatment that we will never visit or stay in Paris again and only use it as a stopover for connecting flights to other countries since Air France is fantastic. It has actually taken me months to be able to write this review since I was soo upset with the treatment the day of and the insinuations afterwards. I would absolutely NOT recommend this hotel.

"Good, comfortable stay, would book again"
mnjn2024, 03 Mars 2024

Location is superb, being close to Gare du Nord and metro (Poissonniere). Also inside the rooms were very quiet despite of this. Staff is genuinely friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful stay. Breakfast was also very tasty. Rooms can be small but that's what you get in Paris.

"Small room but magnificent location and wonderful staff!"
serpend, 02 Mars 2024

With M7 metro line you can go all over the Paris. Faubourg 88 is just next to Poissonniere station on M7 line. If you come to Paris with Orly Airport, you can come to Fraubourg 88 with T7 tram line and M7 metro line, too. It is truly a price/performance hotel.

"Great stay right by the main train stations"
Giorgos P, 29 Janvier 2024

I needed a room to stay close to Gare du Nord on my way from Brussels to a friends'gathering on Paris. The hotel was on my way to this party, within walking distance from the train station, but without the noise and hassle of the area. The room was beautiful and the bathroom totally luxurious! I loved the view to the inside courtyard of all adjacent buildings. All in all, a great, practical solution for a quick stay, walking distance from both Gare du Nord and gare de l'Est!

"Very nice hotel"
halbad740222, 10 Janvier 2024

I am glad we booked this hotel. It's very close to the restaurants and shops, very clean and quiet as you hardly hear any noise from outside. The staff are welcoming and polite. I highly recommend it for a short break in Paris.

"Pleasantly surprised!"
aminefl, 04 Janvier 2024

Great hotel above average for Paris. Great room and easy access to subway. Several patisseries around and several food options. Staff always available to assist with anything. Other than a little issue with a clogged bathroom sink and coffee pods replenishment, the hotel is amazing well located adjacent to Poissonnière Meteo with easy access to anywhere in Paris. Thank you

"Great place to stay"
akskierpilot, 23 Septembre 2023

The place was close to Nord station and easy to find. The room was clean, comfy, and pretty spacious for a European hotel. The staff were great and gave good food locations that were nearby. I would definitely stay there again

"Average stay"
amello370361, 12 Septembre 2023

The room was cute with large bathroom on the lower level which i liked. But the people who took care of my check in and check out were lovely BUT the lady and man who stayed overnight were not the most friendly. One night i had to wait 15 min til someone opens the front door for me. Then got waken up at 1 am (staff knocking at my door) to inquire about something. Not the most appropriate.

"Never again "
Aspyn00, 07 Septembre 2023

The room was dirty with hair in the bathroom when I checked in. I changed rooms, but there was still hair in the bathroom! As I'm blonde and the hair was black, it can't be mine. The cleanliness of the whole property is just gross. You can see the dirt in the tracks of the elevator, the bathroom downstairs is a war zone. The shower doors did not close properly, so water ran everywhere and you're in from a treat with a cold shower in the morning as there was no hot water! You can hear everything from the hall as well as the elevator down the hall. I booked this hotel through my company's travel agent and I don't know what they get as an incentive for recommending this hotel, but it's a sham. Absolutely do not go there.

"Great trip"
Cherrypops2023, 03 Septembre 2023

This boutique hotel is within walking distance of Gard de Nord which is handy when taking the Eurostar. Nice hotel with very polite and helpful staff. My room was smaller than expected but had everything that was needed.

"Great Place to Stay!!!"
brigidavallejo, 14 Août 2023

The hotel is very central and there is a Metro station right at the corner. It is quiet it has a small backyard which is really quiet. Rooms are quiet, even though it is in a busy area. As you walk in it is a cute, quaint small hotel. Very clean. The air-conditioning was really good, you can control it in each room. The breakfast area is neat and presentable, as well as the rooms. The shower had the best shower head, maybe because we were so tired each day, but those showers really helped us to get to sleep and do it again the next day. Sala was so helpful, nice and kind. She is clearly an asset to this hotel. She speaks English really well, and is willing to give information and suggestions without reservation. She was helpful and delightful to deal with. Everyone else was great as well. She just happened to be the one we dealt with the most. And I sincerely feel she goes the extra mile. Next time I am in Paris, I will definitely go back to this hotel. It was perfect for what we needed. We stayed 4 nights. Our rooms were tidied daily, fresh towels. I have no complaints whatsoever. We were in 2 rooms, 4 people total and we had a great time. We were out most of the day, and came in to sleep, shower and change. Perfect place, great value, great service.

"Very nice"
mriver391248, 13 Août 2023

Very nice (and unusually spatious) room! Very friendly reception staff. And of course, perfect location at Metro Poissonière - it's like 10/15 minutes walking to Les Halles or Opéra for example. I can recommend this place without hesitation.

"Excellent hotel"
etravi893765, 12 Août 2023

Super good located, excellent personal, we are very glad ! All was clean, much care, metro in one min. There is very cozy garden in hotel, in the room all neseccery, coffee machine and tea boiler. Railway station is only 10 min by feet.

"Weekend Stay"
bernier0se, 09 Août 2023

We picked this location close to the Gare De Nord and was very impressed in the areas access to the Metro and restaurants. The bed was amazing and the staff very helpful with very good English lucky for us. Very quite place to relax in one of the bottom rooms on the courtyard.

"BW Faubourg 88"
salimf519, 16 Juillet 2023

A great hotel next to the Metro. 15 min walk to Galleries La Fayette, Lots of restaurants (cafes and Halal) 5 min walk from Gard du Nord. Staff were very pleasant and the room was spaciaous. If you enjoy walking, walk from hotel to sites were great, you get to see alot along the way.

"Beware lift broken and noisy air con"
alexander_paine, 23 Juin 2023

Beware - lift broken for over one month. I paid 430 euros. dragged case to fifth floor. tiny room. air conditinoing pump bursts inot life every 20 minutes with very loud noise. no lift so lots of people going up and down stairs next to my room. worst night's sleep in along time. could not wait to leave.

"Excellent location..."
DBuentel, 04 Juin 2023

Perfect location for our needs, we needed an hotel near Gare du Nord station and this one is at a perfect walking distance. The facilities are overall good , and I would like to extend my thanks to Mary at reception for taking really good care of us.

ftigka915239, 22 Avril 2023

Nice hotel at great location. Metro station just outside of the hotel. Coffee and tea available at all times free of charge. Family room with one double bed and one couch bed. Bed was great, couch bed was acceptable. Bathroom large clean and well maintained. Housekeeping changed towels and cleaned the room every day. Breakfast was below average. Not enough of selection or quantity. Better get something from the near convenience store. Practically no English from one of the receptionists. No way to answer questions or give instructions. The other one I've met was helpful polite and knowledgeable. Overall great experience with a few minor negatives.

"nice, comfortable and clean"
talweinberg2023, 17 Avril 2023

we had a very good staying in your hotel. nice room, good bearkfast and 2 steps from the metro. nights were too hot because of central heating, your adviced to open the window was funny. Thank you for your help and advices for the trasportaion from Disny at the strike. we hope to come back soon.

"Excellent service!"
jnguye524968, 04 Février 2023

Great hotel with Excellent service. Close to the Metro. Close to everything. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. Make you feel welcome! It feels safe to walk around even late at night. We strongly recommenced , a great place to stay in Paris!

"Best Western Premier Faubourg 88"
Shobana S, 30 Janvier 2023

Excellent stay, very convenient location, very friendly and responsive front desk staff and dining staff. Close to Gare du Nord and metro. Well kept rooms and friendly staff. Highly recommend for families.

"Great place to stay near Gare du Nord"
67alfonsom, 09 Janvier 2023

When you travel with family you expect everything to be ok and without any problem. The front desk staff was extremely helpful when we arrive. The breakfast buffet had a alot of variety, even for a gluten free diet.

"Family trip"
854tst, 22 Décembre 2022

We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful hotel. All staff is amazing, everybody is always smiling and kind! The breakfast is excellent with a large choice of salty and sweet. We'll definitely come back!

"Excellent Stay"
aylaschilling, 14 Décembre 2022

We really enjoyed our stay here. The room had plenty of space for a family of 3 including a great bathtub and separate shower with a rainfall shower head. The beds were comfy and the rooms were clean. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The location was great- steps away from a metro station and in a really neat neighborhood- not touristy, great food options, yet with easy access to any part of the city. We really enjoyed it and would absolutely recommend this location.

"Clean, stylish and quiet"
NorthStar46352051259, 04 Décembre 2022

This small hotel is perfect for those arriving late or leaving early from Gare du Nord as it's an easy walk from the station. My room was small but well equipped (kettle and a coffee machine, laptop safe, folding table, etc), and there was a small breakfast room next to reception. With a large window onto an internal courtyard, the room was quiet. I shall return in the summer as the hotel has a small outdoor courtyard space with chairs! The staff were friendly and helpful, and I shall definitely be back.

"Solo trip"
albusl, 27 Novembre 2022

Good hotel and very nice decoration. My room was big and very very clean. For a solo trip is the best choice because there's a warm atmosphere thank to the nice and kind staff, always professional and friendly. They gave me really good parisian tips!

"Lovely little hotel in a great area"
sbruce633160, 20 Novembre 2022

We only stayed one night, after an awful experience in a nearby Airbnb. The lady on reception knew I was coming and was always helpful. The room was a great size and had a nice quirky vibe, with a massive comfy king size bed and decent soundproofing - which is needed for the centre of Paris. Loved it. I'll most likely stay again

"Very good hotel and staff"
Hyo Jung B, 31 Octobre 2022

Very good hotel and staff. The hotel is located a few meters from a metro station. Staff very receptive and friendly. I advise very strongly. We like the cleanliness of the property, and the breakfast is really complete.

"Average"
Khaled I, 28 Octobre 2022

The location is good near metro station. The room is comfortable but the bathroom is on a separate floor and very strange staircase There was a smoking area outside the room and people were sitting and chatting till late at night. Late check in 3 pm

"Nice"
544luffys, 25 Octobre 2022

Hotel well located and nicely decorated. The staff is polite and professional they helped me with everything from the culture trips to the restaurants tours. The room was nice and very clean. Me and my family made an excellent choice.

"Racist"
Am S, 24 Octobre 2022

Racist to Asians, very rude stuff. Disappointed. Never go there if you are Asian, if you don't want to be treated unfair. We will never choose Best western hotel anymore. One of the worst experience of my life.

"Good"
alejandravg2022, 01 Octobre 2022

I was a good surprise, i small hotel but with good facilities. Bed super confortable and big. Also the bathroom. The only negative thing is the breakfast, we were missing some fresh fruit pieces and vegetal milk

"Good alternative near Gare d Est"
U3369BFcarlosd, 28 Septembre 2022

This is a very convenient place for business or pleasure, walking distance from the train station, with nice places to eat and drink nearby. The staff is friendly and willing to help with everything. The place, unlike many other hotels in Paris, is clean and very neat.

"Stay"
Annannun, 28 Septembre 2022

Vera Good stay! Nice staff too! First trip to Paris and I was really good. The hotel is well located, near to the subway with many restaurants around the area and places to visit. Definitely a place to come back.

"A perfect choice"
491nen, 27 Septembre 2022

We have been really lucky to find this nice hotel close to everything that's interesting visiting in Paris. Thank you very much to the girls at the reception who had always good indications to give us like restaurants and nice spots to visit.

"Lovely stay"
aseab2022, 26 Septembre 2022

I spent a lovely stay in this hotel. The room was clean and well decorated and the receptionist nice and welcoming. Breakfast is a plus, I loved the fresh fruits and local croissants. I will definitely come back again!

"Great hotel!"
charlottemillichamp, 02 Septembre 2022

Couldn't fault this hotel at all. Great staff. Lovely clean room. Extremely comfy bed. Would definitely consider staying here again if I visit Paris in the future. We paid extra for the slightly bigger room and was definitely worth it.

"Very nice!"
KiKiPuffin, 22 Août 2022

Perfect location (very close to the metro and gare du nord) , and a very nice room. The internet is fast enough and the air condition is helpful in summer. The people at reception and breakfast were very friendly and helpful. I will come back definitely. Thank you so much!

"Fab stay. Friendly staff. Warm welcome"
Colette B, 17 Août 2022

Three nights here and we had a lovely time. Lovely clean room. Big enough and the bed was so comfy. The staff were fantastic. Particularly Charles who looked after us very well and gave us great recommendations. All staff worked so hard. Thank you

"CLEAN BUT VERY SMALL"
sharanbadyal44, 17 Août 2022

The room was super clean, however there was no space around the King size bed. It was essentially a bed with four walls around it. Not a lot of room to move around. The hotel does not have a lounge to chat with other friends who were staying at the hotel. Very very clean. But Very very small.

"4 nights in paris"
nlibras19, 15 Août 2022

Very cute room, it was shared between 3 adults, they were accommodating with this request, bathroom was spacious, clean room, front desk staff was helpful, no issues with check in or out, and someone was always there in the evening. The main door locks during late evening hours for safety, I appreciated this. Enjoyed the location, not a tourist trap area, cute local restaurants close by, supermarket and bakery close by, and metro is right there so we can head anywhere. There was some construction down the block, but we did not hear it. Thank you for the visit.

"Just ok"
jtaylo405591, 21 Juillet 2022

The hotel was just ok. The rooms are small and when we booked the executive room for 3 we expected a connecting rooms but this particular hotel doesn't have that option. So 3 of us in a small room. 2 adults, 1 child. The fold-out bed was uncomfortable & right up against the door and blocking access to the wardrobe/tea making facilities. We were only there for 1 night but wouldn't want to stay there for longer in this particular room. The staff were friendly and helpful and made up for the room situation.

"The best in Paris"
398serena, 17 Juillet 2022

The hotel was fantastic wonderful staff especially Charles I had a great stay with my friends it was a parisean summer midnight dream Rooms are clean , comfortable, service is high top qualty and staff as well Thanks to all Definetly will come back

"Disgusted & very disappointed"
Sherpa676213, 09 Juillet 2022

Unfortunately, Our stay was bad. We came to our room to find sh** in the toilet&opened drink in mini bar. The toilet seemed like it was clogged and we were afraid to use it and went to another bathroom downstairs. We got a sorry&free breakfast. For almost €400/night and a 4-star hotel it's unacceptable. The breakfast attendant was very nice, she gets the one star rating. I was asked to submit the pictures of the nasty toilet…. Ok.

"Hotel Review"
sharonlink836, 28 Juin 2022

Very much enjoyed our stay because of the friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms, and convenient location. Affordable place to stay. Quiet and lovely courtyard to sit in. We arrived early and the staff kindly stored our luggage until check in.

"Great hotel"
DeniseG444, 27 Juin 2022

Great location within 6 minutes walking distance of Gare du Nord. The room was very clean, the bed was incredibly comfortable. We were let down badly by another hotel and this hotel looked after us perfectly at the last minute. Staff were so kind & friendly too. Highly recommended.

"Cancelled booking due to their error"
grapeluv, 10 Juin 2022

Having booked through booking.com 6 months previous, the hotel cancelled our booking on the day. This was because of their system error. Caused major hassle. Avoid like the plague. Not willing to help

"Exceptional"
msmurc, 07 Juin 2022

Great location within walking distance of Gare du Nord. No complaints about the room and the space available - there was both a bath and a shower . Bed is incredibly comfortable. Breakfast offered both hot and cold options. I felt that the room rate was good value .Staff were friendly and engaging. Already planning my next visit.

"great!!!!!!"
bigdaddywl, 24 Mai 2022

great place to stay. very nice stuff. they helped us with everything. newly renovated. central location at the metro. restaurants all around. absolut to recommend. next visit to paris we will come again.

"Excellent Staff, clean and comfortable rooms"
RubenDarioLA, 16 Mai 2022

I spent 2 nights in the hotel and the overall experience waa very good. The hotel is well located, just in front of one metro station and has a lot of servicies in the area. The staff was very professional, kind and treated us very well.

"Katastrof!"
Stamen87, 11 Avril 2022

They cancelled our booking 3 days before our trip (easter week) and would not help us to book other rooms. We booked a room that we wanted to pay at the hotel but they wanted our payment a week before so we paid them, they reserved the money and still cancelled the booking. Worst service!!!

"Friendly helpful staff"
joanlyall, 05 Avril 2022

The hotel was in a good location for public transport links, supermarkets and restaurants. Room was comfortable with a good shower and a useful kettle. The breakfasts were excellent and the staff were friendly and helpful.

"Conviniently located, within budget and good service"
dvaidy109819, 04 Avril 2022

We stayed recently during our family visit to Paris. There are was a mistake by me while booking, but Nadiya & Elina very promptly suggested changes and accommodated us. Post my marathon event Hyo, lady on the reception allowed the luggage to be kept & gave us access to freshen-up. Good location & friendly staff.

"If you like COLD SHOWERS stay here!"
MarianaMG123, 01 Janvier 2022

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Best Western Premier Faubourg 88 on the night of the 18th of December 2021, and we both had to shower in cold water. That is inadmissible! When booking a room in any Hotel the least one expects and, what we paid for, are clean sheets, complete breakfast, and a hot shower. But, unbelievably, the latter requirement wasn't met, which meant for us having to shower in freezing water in mid-December. This is unacceptable and outrageous for any hotel, let alone one with 4 starts and belonging to the Best Western chain. During the check-out, we alerted the receptionist for the matter in question and we were told that all guests were facing the same issue and that this has been a recurrent problem for at least a full-on week. That means that the hotel is letting guests book a room in the establishment fully aware that there isn't enough warm water and don't even have the decency to warn them about the issue during the reservation or the check-in. A bad decision on top of a terrible situation!

"Best Western Faubourg 88 DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE!!!"
Frank M, 27 Juin 2021

Booked a room 2 years ahead of time and had to reschedule our trip due to covid. the booking was changed to June 2021 and we received a confirmation that our room was reserved. so, I get to the hotel at 10am on Saturday, its about to rain, got my wife in a wheelchair, kids, luggage, no cell phone service yet, and walked from Gare due Nord to the faubourg, and they are closed. just a sign that we should call or email. so, the number went to voicemail and no reply from the email. thankfully, a competent and caring hotel, the Best Western Anjou, was able to call and get us a nice room right on the spot. I would generally not give a rating such as this, but I think for leaving me literally in the rain with no hotel, this should allow 0/5 stars. DO NOT BOOK OR STAY HERE. IF THEY ARE WILLING TO LEAVE YOU OUT IN THE RAIN WITH NO NOTICE AND STILL TAKE YOUR MONEY WHO KNOWS WHAT ELSE THEY ARE WILLING TO DO.

"Nice hotel but tiny rooms"
MarkRenton72, 05 Août 2020

It's a rather nice hotel in a nice location right by the métro. The room looked quite nice, the shower was great and so was the bed. It wasn't noisy at all which is quite something for a hotel in Paris. N'a pas aimé · However, the rooms are TINY! The bed takes list if the room and we had to put a chair in the wardrobe to create a bit of space. That's the only issue, really. But I felt it was a bit expensive for such a small room.

"Poor care and sub-standard"
R_bournemouth, 22 Juillet 2020

We stayed here on Sunday 19th July and before deciding to write this review I emailed the business to detail the issues I had: I've not had a reply. We booked a double, non-smoking, room for 1 night. On arrival we checked in and were given room 003. Despite the fact that no facilities were open in the hotel (not a problem I do understand Covid19 restrictions) we were asked to provide a credit card for 50 euro pre-approval for spend whilst there.... really? ... process above service quality I would say. It was a hot day so when we went to our room I tried to switch on the air-conditioning (remember 4 star hotel) and it was not working so went to reception. They advised they were aware of the issue and would call the engineer on Monday as it was too expensive to call out an engineer on a Sunday. I asked if we could change room and was advised it was an issue with all rooms and the hotel was full so no we couldn't change rooms. I then noticed that despite having booked a non-smoking room the room given was in the centre of the smoking area with ingress and regress from the room requiring a walk through the smoking area. It also meant we couldn't open the room window to alleviate the non-working air-conditioning issue as the rancid and discussing smoke from the constant stream of smokers outside would waft in. We slept on top of the bed completely unclothed but it was still so warm we could not sleep. In total I had about 2 hours sleep. What good a hotel if you cannot have a good nights sleep. All-in-all I would avoid avoid avoid. This hotel is only interested in YOUR money and not in your satisfaction.

"Terrible customer service"
dudester82, 08 Mai 2020

Roosm are small even for Parisian standards and staff is unfriendly especially Ms. Leon - you should NOT be working in the service industry. I am a Best Western Diamond Select card holder and this is not the service standard I am used to by Best Western. It is a shame, because the location is very good and convenient with Gare Du Nord (eurostar) and the Metro styation only a short walk away. On another occasiuon I had to amend a booking and the hotel was copmpletely inflexibleeven though I am a frequent visitor to Paris. Needless to say I will avoid this hotel at all cost on future trips and recommend the Best Western Marais Grands Boulevards or Best Western Opera which are just down the street to anyone who is thinking of staying at a Best Western in this area.

"Ideal Hotel in perfect location"
N8229HVbarbaraa, 08 Février 2020

This is a great small hotel in a perfect condition. We travelled via train and it is really just a 10 minute walk from Gare du Nord to the Hotel. There is a metro stop about 1 minute away so practically on the doorstep. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room was not huge but absolutely sufficient and very clean. The bed very comfortable. The bathroom was a good size with great shower. The room we had (4th floor) had bathrobes and slippers. We had booked the room including breakfast which was buffet style and was extremely good offering hot and cold food. We will definitely return here to this great little hotel with the great staff.

"Great little hotel"
Matthew David R, 17 Janvier 2020

Great location, nicely decorated room, good internet, fantastic, staff. Bag drop on day of departure was very helpful, lots of restaurants and shops near by. Five minute walk from station. Walked alone ten at night and felt safe with my luggage. Rooms are small but very much enjoyed our stay. Have recommended to friends and would stay again. Thank you!

"Very good situation and extra clean"
Fouad_B_Ph, 28 Décembre 2019

We spent a couple of days in this hotel which has a very good location and is extremely clean with well fitted rooms. The 04 guests rooms are big and can accommodate 04 persons groups. The breakfast is decent without being gargantuan. A plenty of good restaurants and various stores are very close in addition to 02 train stations.

"Excellent service with a great location"
Earl R, 28 Décembre 2019

Would recommend the property for a stay in Paris. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was excellent throughout our stay. The location is about a 30 minute walk to the Opera House for a sense of location.

"Stay in a closet"
Harold P, 27 Décembre 2019

If you have a suitcase and or are with 2 people I would not recommend this hotel. I have stayed in my life in hundreds of hotels but never stayed in a 4 star hotel room this small. I would suggest to look a further to find a room that has at least space for a suitcase....

"Great location in Paris near Montm"
terbotmm, 25 Octobre 2019

If you are looking for a hotel for a couple for a night or so, this is an excellent choice. It's located within walking distance to the Montmartre, many restaurants, boulangerie and patisserie, etc. While the room was small, it was spotless and the shower was great. Very comfortable bed and very little street noise.

"Poor Services, tiny room & good location"
OnAir442847, 16 Octobre 2019

The location was very good, convenient and accessible, Paris Gare Du Nord is only 8 minutes walk and Poisonairre metro is less than a minute walk. very tiny rooms and the staff can do much better with helping their guestd. They couldnt find an adaptor for my American laptop and phone - I had chargers. That was really poor example of customer service, Airconditions are not working in 26 degrees temperature - I call the reception, the response I get is we dont give fresh air in october, we switch off a/c in oct because it is cold outside but it was 26 degrees. Everthing you need you have to go down to their tiny reception and ask for - cant get done by phone. They locked my access card 2 days in a row and I had to go down to get it unlocked - how frustrating after a tiring day. But as I said location wise very good. Not living to the standards of the Best Western brand.

"Don't stay there it's not the same in pic"

"Not quite as advertised but very good!"
Traveler735282, 09 Octobre 2019

I was initially disappointed as booking.com described the executive king with sofa bed as having a bath. Room 101 had no bath but a large, well lit wet room with great shower and mirrors (a must for make up) made up for it . Also the bath robe and slippers were non existent. Not a problem for me but daughter wasn't happy. Requested 2 adaptors but only one available at 10 euro deposit. No sofa bed but a fold up bed which did block wardrobe and coffee/kettle access when in use. Street quite noisy front of hotel so could be a problem in summer with windows open. We left the wet room window open and door closed for less noise as air vents above it. Great, thick blackout curtains. Wonderfully large, comfortable beds and pillows. Friend said folding bed could have had better mattress but was comfy enough. Crisp clean sheets. Ideal location for Gard Du Nord and Poisonniere Metro. Didn't have breakfast as late risers but so many places to eat on doorstep, even a vegan restaurant directly opposite. Friendly staff on desk 24/7. We didn't arrive back until 4 am one night so was glad this wasn't one of the many hotels in Paris where you have to hand your key in on leaving and are locked out after a certain hour. In all our stay here helped make our visit to Paris a happy, memorable, comfortable one and we would def book here again.

"Great value. Great hotel."
Jeaniece, 03 Octobre 2019

Very small waiting area. But extremely spacious white rooms. Im not the biggest fan of the bathroom showers but the location cant be beat. 2 min walk to the train station 15 mins to the Louvre. Check in was a 2pm. Check out is at 11am. Breakfast can be served up to your room. Huge windows. Not terrible loud

"Actually clean"
gloriacardwell, 01 Octobre 2019

I've travelled to France/Europe many many times. I find it difficult to find an affordable clean hotel. I was very happy to find this one. The bed was also very very comfortable with amazing blackout curtains. People at reception were very kind. The room was very small. Barely enough space on the ground to open my suitcase but I still give it 5/5

"Best hotel in Paris, well worth the money!"
Holly S, 14 Septembre 2019

Wonderful friendly staff, especially for English speakers. Very accommodating. We loved the location, handy convenient stores near by as well as the underground metro right outside the door. Quiet and safe neighborhood. Rooms are very spacious, bed was amazing and extremely clean rooms. Would stay again!

"Great boutique hotel"
Lynne B, 09 Septembre 2019

We enjoyed our stay here. The room was small, but the king bed was enough for my husband, my daughter and myself. Most of the staff spoke English, some fluently, and it was enough for us to get everything we needed, including ordering taxis for rides, and also having food delivered. There is a/c there, but on the day we arrived, it was over 100 degrees, so the staff even added a fan in our room to help keep it cool. The room was clean and fresh and although we didn't spend much time in the room, it certainly suited our needs. If it werent for our desire to check out other places, we would return here on our next visit.

"Centrally Located"
SunshineYogi17, 08 Septembre 2019

Booked our stay extremely last minute because of an Airbnb nightmare. To say the least, the stay totally changed our Paris experience and made us really comfortable each night. Clean & large bathroom. The only downside was housekeeping was not done with our room when we had reached back at 3/4pm one of the days. But apart from that, I would definitely recommend.

"Great Boutique Hotel"
OlivierIsland, 10 Juillet 2019

I have been here last week for 1 night for a quick business trip. I received a welcome mail after booking whereas they asked for some informations/details (time of arrival, special request, etc), not too many, just the right amount, it was a nice little touch, appreciated. I arrived around 20:00, booking was fast and professional, made a request and it was satisfied immediately, much appreciated. Room is typical smaller parisien size, nice decor, modern, good, clean and spacious bathroom with rainshower. Air conditioned was working perfectly, welcome due to 30 & more degrees outside. Some minor details in the bathroom coule be improuved, but the price/ service is outstanding, and the management was always efficient when needed. Hotel itself is located just next to poissonniere subway stop, a close walk to opera, and just next to Gare du Nord et Est, Recommended.

"Too expensive. Room Switch borken and cannot be repaired."
Jet03721584707, 24 Juin 2019

Due to the Women's Football World-cup and other events, the room rate was unfortunately outrageous for this level of facility. The room switch of room 104 was broken and only temporarily work when the front person hit the wall around the switch so hard.

"Awful"
Passport56676564650, 31 Mai 2019

Very tiny rooms, awful service, bad smell in loby, simple breakfast Not recommended Break fast room was really small and messy and when we ask them too make up, they just smile!!! Very very tiny rooms with really bad ventilation I was really happy to leave this 4 star!! Hotel

"Terrible customer service"
dudester82, 16 Mai 2019

I spend 3 nights/week in Paris for work but plans changed for the week i was supposed to stay at his hotel and I therefore asked to modify my reservation. I understand that the booked rate was not flexible but I was not asking for a cancellation but rather to push it back by one, two or three weeks, whatever fit the hotel's occupancy rate. I also asked for another night to be added, effectively spending more money at this hotel and I was also prepared to pay the difference between my original room rate and the new dates. However, the hotel was completely inflexible, insisting that the dates cant be changed. Even Best Western Rewards (where I am a Diamond Select member, the highest tier) could not convince them to move the dates. Needless to say I will avoid this hotel at all cost on future trips and recommend the Best Western Marais Grands Boulevards or Best Western Opera which are just down the street to anyone who is thinking of staying at a Best Western in this area.

"A very pleasant boutique hotel with terrible breakfast arrangements"
SergeLourie, 09 Avril 2019

Everything about this hotel is pretty good apart from breakfast which was a disgrace! The location is good being around 10 minutes from the Gare du Nord and in a quiet rosd by a metro station. The welcome was very friendly and the receptionist was really pleasant. Rooms were reasonable sized and the beds comfortable. It was quiet and we had a good night's sleep. There are many pleasant restaurants nearby so dinner was not a problem. We were within walking distance of the Sacre Coeur so there was a lot to do nearby. UNFORTUNATELY breakfast was terrible! The room is too small for the hotel and when we arrived there were no free tables. The lady in charge did not help by suggesting that several tables would be free soon and showed no interest in us at all. Eventually a table for four became available so the five of us in the party sat down and borrowed a chair from another table. After a wait, the lady in charge started laying places for four even though there were five of us. The food itself was OK but the most shocking thing was that when some other tables became empty, no-one cleared the tables and laid them again. The lady in charge chatted to her friend in the kitchen and did nothing. When further guests arrived for breakfast they were greeted by dirty tables! It was only with great huffing and puffing that they were cleared. And FINALLY to add insult to injury, my wife asked for another cup of breakfast tea. We had already paid 14 Euros and usually you can get a second cup of tea. NOT HERE. The lady asked my wife for a further 4 Euros. My wife speaks good French so this was clearly not a misunderstanding. Next time we will go out to breakfast...or more likely never go back.

"Staff are good, but the bed was terrible"
McKillop_D1942, 28 Mars 2019

I stayed here twice and I will never stay here again. The staff were good, but that's about it. The room was clean, but the bed was at a slope, though there was a dip, so that I didn't slide all the way out the bed. The pillows were so soft that they offered no support at all. The breakfast was basic to say the least.

"Excellent Quality to Price Ratio"
emmanuelkhouri, 23 Mars 2019

The kindness and the professionalism of the personnel, the very good location walking distance from international railway station Gare du Nord and subway station Poissonniere. The breakfast is good enough. The amenities are a bit under expectation for a 4 star hotel.

"Great hotel!"
jdogg808, 19 Mars 2019

Convenient location near a metro stop. Not too far out, but not too busy either. Great location for my little family to use as home base. The hotel was clean and had all the amenities we needed. Hotel service was polite and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

"Does the job"
Russell6587, 18 Mars 2019

This hotel was ideal for an overnight business trip! Spotless clean, rooms small but very comfortable. Ideal location right outside the Metro!! There are some nice restaurants around the hotel! It is very reasonable especially if booked in advance! Enjoy

"Great location but maintenance could be better"
stephenpW8627FJ, 13 Mars 2019

We had executive room. Only 1 complementary bottle of water for room for 2 people! Walls super thin between rooms and no do not disturb signs and got woke By maids several times! Bathroom door needed some maintaince. Cleaning room was great. Breakfast, needs improvement pastries very small and bacon and sausages where not a great quality

"Clean room and good location"
Adventure02794646146, 10 Mars 2019

The hotel is just a 7 min walk from Gare du Nord station. The room is not so big but OK. It is clean and the personnal are very helpful. The safety box in the room was broken, so I could not use that.

"Great Modern hotel in heart of Paris"
Meander07089049788, 10 Mars 2019

Everything was perfect. Great room, lovely pillows. Beautifully designed bathrooms. Very friendly concierge team. Large selection at breakfast.Would've liked more Pastries/Crossaints at breakfast, and more coffee/milk in room.

"Dogs allowed???"
b_rouleaux, 09 Mars 2019

We have visited this hotel forum the 4th time. Dogs are allowed and used to be free of charge. Newly 10€ per dog per Day will be charged, Mrs Vanessa told us. I complained this at a very friendly collegue. She mentioned there will not be an extra charge. That is what i call customer satisfaction.

"Excellent Experience all around"
Compass37533707453, 25 Février 2019

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room and lobby areas were modern, clean and well-kept, and the location was great - close to the metro and lots of things to see and do. Wouldn't change a thing!

"Fantastic stay for a city break"
Jenni B, 23 Février 2019

The room was small but perfect for what we needed as we were sightseeing most of the time. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and it had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay during their city break.

"Decent option"
ramswiss_11, 17 Février 2019

Typical medium sized 4 star hotel. Located less than 8-10 mins walk from Gare Du Nord and 15-18 mins walk to Galeries Lafayette. The rooms were in good condition , reception helpful and a hot breakfast was served.

"Excellent"
Adventure50513242303, 17 Février 2019

Excellent hôtel, clean, confortable and welcoming staff. The only problem is that you cannot use whatsapp due to security filter set up by the hotel in the internet network. This has to be improved . I stayed several times in the hotel over the last years and this problem remains

"Great location, 2 minutes from the Subway"
Cinthia G, 31 Janvier 2019

Small room (but this is Paris) but clean. Literally 2 minutes walking from the Metro and walking distance from the train station. Lots of restaurateur around. Breakfast is nice. Receptionist was helpful

"ok but small rooms"
Goomys, 28 Décembre 2018

we stayed for 2 nights, my missus have mobility issues and when we got to the room it was tiny. i mean you have problem moving around the double bed to the bathroom with ... weird balcony - yes you have to go via bathroom to the balcony. minimal space if yoiu have any mobility issues is a no no. I read that other rooms are big etc. but not in our case. Btw smoke alarms are very sensitive - even for shower steam so be prepared to be evacuated at 2AM in the morning. i am not joking, location is ok, close to station, uber ride few euros. but would not stay here again even tho i have their loyalty card.

"3.5 (not a 4) star hotel, but clean renovated rooms and some nice touches "
SapphireRose88, 25 Décembre 2018

We stayed there for 2 nights as we wanted to be near to Gare l'Est & Gare du Nord (arrived from London). Pros: 1) Very friendly people at reception. Accommodating and hospitable. 2) Receptionist took the trouble to explain and even show us that the classic room which we booked, was too small for 2 nights. We really appreciated that she did that as we saw that the Classic room was REALLY TOO SMALL for 2 people. She said if you were to stay for more than a night, it would be highly recommended to upgrade to a slightly larger room for 20 Euros more a night. Thank goodness she suggested that!! We found the superior room quite small (we couldn't open our large luggage bags without it getting it in the way) but it was way better than the classic room. 3) Some nice touches in the bathroom - magnifying mirror, facial tissues, heated towel rack! 4) Hotel is literally 1 minute away from the metro Poissonniere. Extremely easy to get to other parts of Paris from here. 5) Comfy Bed. Cons: 1) Room size is really suitable for say 1 person with a small bag, who won't spend more than a few hours in the room to just sleep. I had to do abit of work on my laptop on the table and I just found the space to be too small. I had another person in the room - and we just found the space just too cramped. 2) The table / furniture like Wardrobe in the room were pretty cheap, and you can tell it wasn't well made - e.g. the wardrobe in our room kept making sounds whenever you open / closed it which was rather irritating...... 3) You could hear next door neighbours - whenever they made sounds. The rooms aren't very well sound insulated. We were this close to knocking their door to ask them to keep the noise down. In Summary, the hotel is a small boutique hotel, there's some rooms for improvement if it wants to be anywhere near a 4 star. But all in all, it's clean, has comfortable beds and very near to the metro. If you want to be near metro poissonniere, then this is the hotel for you to stay as it's reasonably priced for what you get in the Gare Du Nord / L'Est area.

"Paris Trip"
Flyer04569086725, 13 Novembre 2018

Great location, 5 min walk from Gare de Nord train station. 30 seconds from Metro with easy links to the whole of Paris, good bars/restuaraunts nearby. Room size small but comfy and great showeroom. Friendly staff on reception, plenty of choice at breakfast. Good internet conection

"Excellent location and service!"
boobee123, 07 Novembre 2018

First, the check in was easy. The hotel location is just in the heart of the city, 1 minute away to the metro station. Many places are in walking-distance. The room was small but it was as we expected, it was clean, the bathroom was spacey enough. Every one in the receptionist are nice and helpful.

"Great place to stay in Paris"
malinaa11, 26 Octobre 2018

I love the room at this hotel. The super comfortable bed and good equipment. Very kind personel. Breakfast was excellent too. The location is really convenient to visit Paris. Is the center but calme. I reccomand.

"Great location!"
CapucineDurban, 16 Octobre 2018

This hotel has a great location if you want to travel from/to Gare du Nord! Staff are very welcoming and friendly. We were able to leave our luggage before the checkin time, which was very convenient to us.

"My pleasent stay in Paris"
pourkay, 10 Octobre 2018

My stay in ParisI am very happy with service I received from Best Western Primier Fabourg 88 staff. The location is great and relatively close to metro, and many favorite places of Paris, such as Louvre, sacre cour , Galeria , etc.

"Great Base for Gare du Nord"
Kerry t, 28 Septembre 2018

We chose this hotel for it's proximity to Gare du Nord as we were arriving and leaving via this station. It is ideally situated for this. Less than 10 mins walk. Location is great for access to the sights too. Metro station literally on the doorstep with direct line to the Louvre. We also caught the tourist hop on bus from Gare du Nord easily. We stayed in the Junior suite as we had 2 kids with us and the room was spacious and comfy with a large bathroom. Breakfast was sufficient and the staff friendly. Breakfast room is tiny and I imagine could get packed at busy times but they also offer the choice of having breakfast in the room. Free wifi was great. We found this hotel a refreshing change from the big chain hotels we have stayed in before. Instead it offered a boutique feel. Would stay again for sure.

"Too small, friendly staff, good location"
Chris H, 26 Septembre 2018

The room was smaller than a shoebox hotel in New York and I didn't even have space to open my luggage in the room. Also not sure how they managed to get a 4 star rating because the place barely had any amenities or value added services, for those reasons I think the hotel is overpriced. The staff were friendly and helpful, and location was good if you want to stay next to gare du nord (main train station) it's about a 5 minute walk. Overall, I wouldn't want to stay there again

"Small but practical."
Glasweegie77, 20 Août 2018

We stayed in a Superior Room, which despite the name is really small. You have move sideways along the foot of the bed to get to the other side. Despite this the hotel was really good, nicely decorated and great value for money. The staff were all friendly and helpful and spoke English and it's about a 10 minute walk from Gare Du Nord. We didn't bother with the hotel breakfasts as there is plenty of places around the hotel for food, the bakers just across the road (down the hill from the Metro) does lovely cakes and pastries and coffee that you can take away back to the room and is a two minute stroll. The Metro is almost outside the front door of the hotel making travel around the place really easy, about a 15-20 journey to the Eiffel Tower or Champs-Élysées and even quicker to the Louvre as it's on the same line. If you're moving around quite a bit, buy the 15 ticket 'carnet' of Metro tickets for under €15.

"Nice hotel, good value, great location"
daniellhug, 16 Août 2018

I was visiting Paris for the first time, and I stayed at the Best Western Premier Faubourg 88. Overall, I enjoyed the experience. My Superior room was a pretty good size and didn't cost a lot. There was more than enough storage for two large suitcases and all of the things I bought while I was in the city. The bathroom was a good size too. The staff was very friendly and helpful during my stay, communicating in English as well as French. It's in a great location, just a short walk from Gare du Nord, and a few steps from the Poissoniere metro station (which was also a plus, since I walked a lot during my trip and didn't feel like walking all the way back to my room most days!) The neighborhood is nice and quiet as well, and there are also many good restaurants and stores nearby (though quite a few were closed while I was there, as it was the August holidays when almost everyone leaves town). I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if you are visiting Paris for the first time and want a nice room for a great value.

"Teensy rooms, central location"
Natasha C, 05 Août 2018

This hotel has the tiniest rooms I've ever seen (you have to walk sideways to get around the bed in some of them) but the service was really helpful and the breakfast is one of the best rates you'll get for a petit dejeneur in Paris. Location wise, this hotel is in the middle of a lot of stuff but near nothing. You're pretty much equidistant to the Louvre and Montmartre, but that's a solid 20-30 min walk depending on your speed. My friend had to leave early and when she explained that she'd been robbed multiple times in Italy and just wanted to go home, they refunded her. Great, understanding people.

"Clean and comfy rooms in a great location"
AimeeManny, 22 Juillet 2018

We wanted a hotel near Gare du nord as we arrived by Eurostar, this was just a 5 minute walk. The metro is just at the end of the street and there are some lovely cafe's & restaurants nearby. The room we had was a superior twin room which was clean and adequate size for us, we were only there to sleep after all. Only downside was it was noisy outside but then we were in a capital city so expected. Breakfast was basic but enough for us, as we are not big morning eaters. Staff were very friendly and the street/metro map at reception was very handy. We would come again and recommend for short stays.

"Too small"
Karl F, 22 Juin 2018

June 18th, me, my wife, and 16-year-old son stayed at the Best Western Hotel Premier Faubourg 88 for 2 nights + 1 at Holiday Inn. We booked through Trip Masters. Our room was not ready on the day we had booked so we were routed to the Holiday Inn Paris- Gare de I'Est. for the first night and then we were transferred back to the Best Western the day after. This was an inconvenience since we did not have access to a room during the times they were cleaned but the Holiday Inn was a nicer hotel. The Best Western was clean and the staff were polite but the room was very small. We are average sized people but I can tell you that this hotel is not suitable for anyone larger. Air conditioning was excellent and beds were comfortable. Maid service was good. A very limited breakfast is offered for an additional charge of 7 to 9 euros each in a very cramped room. There are a number of expensive cafes within walking distance which seemed to all serve basically the same thing. See my review on a much better choice from last year at the Novotel Suites Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.

"Pricey and not worth the stars "
Greg_Presley, 20 Juin 2018

Like most hotels in Paris, it is nice, super expensive and I don't think it would match the equivalent 4 stars anywhere else. Service is good and helpful but like you would get in such a small hotel. Rooms are very nice though and worth seeing.

"Great location!"
carrieAkron_Ohio, 12 Juin 2018

Short walk from Gare du Nord Train station and metro station is less than 1 block. Surprisingly quiet, very little noise. Very modern, clean and nice with air conditioning! Wonderful coffee shops and restaurants within 5-10 minute walk from this hotel.

"Perfectly located and modern hotel"
JonH151, 31 Mai 2018

Stayed for 2 nights on a business trip. Short walk from Gare du Nord, no more than 10min walk Very modern and well sized rooms vs some hotels of a similar class that are quite old fashioned And a real bonus is air conditioning! Many hotels so they have it but they don't, it's just a fan in the room. I had a street facing room, bar some street noise which is the norm in Paris v quiet at night as the hotel is just off the main road. You have many great coffee spots and eateries on your doorstop. I'd higly recommend Marlette for breakfast - same price as the hotel but proper artisan coffee and great food. Also a 10min walk to hipster central Rue Faubourg - where of an evening you are spoilt for choice with bars and food. This is one of the best hotels I've stayed in for business given the price of this hotel.

"Easy access Paris hotel."
Medipet1, 11 Mai 2018

Within 100 geet of Patisserie for croissants and more.. Grocery store next door. Small room, small bathroom, (bring your own soap) resembling more a small cruise ship cabin. Good for two or three day stay. Good breakfast Friendly helpful checkin staff ! Safe hotel, safe area. We used Uber to get around, they come within 3 minutes. 45 euros to CDG airport. I would stay there again.

"Paris Best Western experience"
Shiva A, 30 Avril 2018

The location is good, room was clean but extremely small; we could hardly walk around the bed to go to the bathroom. Air conditioning wasn't working and we had to open the windows which was right on a very noisy street, difficult to sleep. The best part of this hotel was the front desk, they all were very helpful, kind and professional, specially a lady called

"Very well located but a few gripes"
actionslaxx, 02 Avril 2018

Good :- Very well located for Gare du Nord and Poissonnière Metro station. Walkable to Pigalle, Montmatre Staff were friendly and helpful Comfortable bed, clean room Quiet in terms of external noise Bad :- They let guests smoke in the centre courtyard, it even seems to be encouraged with the provision of an ashtray. However, this means if you have your window open you get a room full of cigarette smoke - not pleasant. We used the provided teabags on day one and they were not refilled for the rest of our stay The switch that was meant to turn the light off in the wardrobe was badly fitted so closing the door did not activate it so the light stayed on all night The BBC News channel (50) did not work so had to suffer CNN when needed my news fix :( Not particularly quiet in terms of internal noise, you can hear wardrobe doors being closed in other room and especially toilets being flushed To summarise I seem to have more negative points than positive but this is a nice hotel and the location is well worth considering it for

"Good for a Paris tour"
KlausHD66, 29 Mars 2018

Our room was clean and quiet. As the road in the front of the hotel is not very busy, there is almost no traffic noise at night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There are a lot of good restaurants around the hotel. The Metro station is just a few steps away. We enjoyed it a lot.

"Two nights before a long flight"
Bryan O, 29 Mars 2018

We stayed in a very spacious room, the entire lower level of the room was beautiful white tile everywhere it was awesome all a giant wet space. After walking 10 miles in Paris the deep soaking bathtub was very much appreciated! The shower is awesome, I wish every hotel in the US had showers like these. The location of the hotel to the metro stop cannot be beat, there might be other more nice hotels in Paris, but for the location of this hotel, the friendliness of everyone you see and the location this is really the only place I'm interested in staying at. This is the third time I've stayed here and my second trip to France. I know in the future, I'll be interested in booking only at this hotel in Paris, especially if rain is in the forecast and you are planning to use the metro this is the hotel you should stay at! Merci Best Western 88!

"Perfect base to explore Paris"
EYC202, 29 Mars 2018

Great location. Clean and comfortable room , bed was lovely. Really quiet . A great hotel to be based in for Paris. A few mins walk to Montmatre and Sacre Coeur and a tube stop on doorstep. V near Eurostar terminal at Gare du Nord . 2 great boulangeries in same road, must try almond croissant . Can highly recommend this hotel .

"An oasis in a City"
peterandteresaro2017, 20 Mars 2018

Had an overnight stay here with my wife.Having little knowledge of Paris I trusted reviews when choosing this hotel.Well it is always nice to back any winner and with Hotel Faubourg 88 we did that! Nestled away in a side street you could easily walk past without realising it was there but once through the door you became aware of the chic and calmness the hotel portrayed.Small reception area with an attractive seating corner displaying books and magazines welcomed you. Tien,a man of many languages quickly booked us in! Our room was superb. Beautifully appointed.Chintzy boutique/bijou furnishings, black and white tiles-pure class! En suite was a walk in shower room with quality toiletries. The shower itself was amazing.Towels plentiful. Breakfast was continental with a variety of cheeses, meats, croissants, hard boiled eggs and jams etc.A hot buffet breakfast is available at a supplement. The dining area is compact and simple but adds to the ambience of 'boutique' hotel. Impressed? YES! Would we stay here again? YES! Recommend? YES! To finish we must say how helpful the staff were.Nothing was too much trouble. They care. Tien is a brilliant young man, always smiling and chatty.A great Ambassador for Best Western Hotels.

"Nice hotel but definitely not a 4 star"
Greg_Presley, 08 Mars 2018

The hotel has a good location as close to train stations, not too far from opera and a great selection of cafes, brasseries, restaurants. The staff is helpful but there should be more if the hotel was really a four star. The rooms are nice and very original in the way they are presented. In general this should not be a four star hotel.

"A Treat!"
Guinivere72, 21 Février 2018

We had one night in Paris on the way back to the UK and i looked quite carefully for a hotel. I didn't go for the cheapest, i really liked the look and location, so close to Gare de Nord. The room was lovely, the bath comfy, the bed luxurious. In particular the breakfast was really beautifully presented and delicious. There is a great Artisan Boulangerie across the road and its just a twenty minute walk up to Sacre Couer, which we did before checking out at 12 Sunday morning. We could easily walk to Gare du Nord with all our bags to get the Eurostar. I will go back! The Hotel was formerly Hotel D'Amiens and i would have liked to experience it in days gone by but the makeover is good! Thank you!

"Awesome Location !"
holeinthewallgang, 31 Décembre 2017

Great little boutique hotel within easy walking distance to Gare du Nord train station for Eurostar or short taxi w/bags. No matter where you were going in Paris, it was easy to get there using all the transportation options near the train station....e.g. hop on hop off bus etc. Worked very well for husband and me. Very clean hotel and nice breakfast, very nice and helpful staff as well. Two great restaurants for dinner within walking distance as well.....Hugos and Le Maison Bleu (great outside seating and food to match) Montmartre district not far either. We were all over the city and afternoon trip to Versailles was terrific. Thank you Best Western for an enjoyable stay!

"I'll Go Again"
stcolms, 15 Décembre 2017

If you are looking for a nice comfortable hotel within walking distance of the Gare du Nord this is a hotel to consider. Nothing fancy downstairs but my bedroom on the first floor was clean, modern with a very comfortable bed, good linen, and (to me a very important detail) - good blackout curtains. The shower room was spacious and had all the mod cons. Downstairs is a bit cramped for space but if you are looking for somewhere just to sleep then who cares?

"Felt Taken Care Of! "
Windley A, 30 Novembre 2017

The staff took great care of my wife and I. There was a problem initially with booking where rooms were full, but they put us in a neighboring hotel (transported us there for free) and added breakfast at no charge for the inconvenience. They also gave helpful tips and directions for navigating the area that we were in! The rooms were really small but cozy and clean. A really warm experience!

"Has everything you need and some space"

We stayed in room 503, an executive suite. It was on the top floor, and had large windows in the room and the bathroom which were quite nice. When we arrived and looked around the room it was quite dusty, the room was in no way dirty but it needed a good dust. However every day our room was serviced the housekeeping was exceptional. The bed was really comfortable and absolutely massive, the rain shower was lovely and the bath was a generous size. There was plenty of storage, and plenty of mirrors in the room. The room had a wonderful ceiling, and for a room in Paris was really quite good. The staff were all lovely, especially the night porter. The bar which was in the lobby had a limited selection however they were a generous pour. The hotel was near the metro, and Gare du Nord and had a wide variety of restaurants and cafes near by. The location I gave as very good as you can get everywhere from the hotel, however it is not near the main sights of Paris.

"Fantastic hotel and well placed for Gar du Nord (Eurostar) and local metro station"
AssaultonPrecinct13, 03 Octobre 2017

Our trip to Paris was more about visiting the Palace of Versailles than sight-seeing Paris itself. So researching TripAdvisor and finding this lovely, small hotel was the icing on the cake. The staff were very helpful, friendly and, in most cases, spoke English. Although we did try to speak French whenever possible. The hotel rooms are very clean and well laid out. We - two adults - had a room each so there was plenty of space although I can understand some of the remarks regarding no room to store suitcases if two people shared a room. However, the hotel guide in each room does state that they are happy to store suitcases during your stay. The hotel is ideal for tourists, no more than a minute away from the Poissonniere metro station, which, when not walking, made both travelling around Paris and getting to the Palace of Versailles very convenient. They have an excellent breakfast bar with a good choice of food. They do offer room service for other meals but the choice was very limited if you don't like meat/fish so we ended up eating out. There are so many places to choose from in Paris, and close to the hotel, that this isn't a problem at lunchtime or in the evening. Would definitely choose this hotel over all others if visiting Paris again. Thanks for helping to make our break so enjoyable.

"One night perfect stay!"
Marilyn M, 20 Septembre 2017

I made a quick visit to Paris from London so stayed one night. I chose this hotel because it was within walking distance to Gare de Nord and on a Metro station. Upon my arrival, I was upgraded to an executive room and the clerk helped confirm my 2 day trips with the tour operators. With the ease of being able to speak English with them, it encouraged me to try and speak more french. Great staff! There was an issue with the door to my room not closing properly and it was taken care of immediately! I loved the black/white & orange decor. The ceremony of having a glass of wine at the bar was very interesting. Great location! I will be back!

"Not very good"
SidrahZain, 05 Septembre 2017

Awkwardly black and white, bathroom tiles used in rooms, no space to walk, extremely small rooms, on request room was changed to a bigger one with metal stairs going in the basement for bathroom, huge bathroom which seemed haunted!

"Nice hotel"
allyng1022, 26 Août 2017

Nice and clean hotel! Staff is friendly and helpful. It is closed to the metro station! We will Stay here next time when we visit Paris again! Suggestion: the wifi is a bit weak! The area is dark and quiet at night! Not suggested to stay too late at night.

"Best bilingual and helpful staff"
Jane M, 12 Juillet 2017

The staff, especially Eduard and Soraya (a lovely woman), were so helpful in directions around town, ordering taxis, educating us on the Metro, printing out walking maps, recommending restaurants and places to shop. The room we first had was very small but adequate for our short stay. We were upgraded on the 2nd leg of our visit to a larger room, which was more enjoyable. The location was PERFECTLY located for the Metro.

"Great value Paris hotel, close to Metro station"
Chizzamerica, 11 Juillet 2017

I stay in Paris on business frequently, however this was the first time I stayed at this hotel. The location of this clean and presentable hotel is very good, being near Poissonniere metro station. The staff at reception and breakfast were all friendly and efficient. Thanks for an accommodating stay

"Perfect stopover"
User, 07 Juillet 2017

We really only needed a place for a night so we had a break between long connecting flights and this was perfect. Fifty metres from the Metro station and 500 to the Gare du Nord to get the airport train and things were so easy. Breakfast room is a bit cramped so take the free option of having breakfast in your room

"Nice Hotel"
Daneander, 25 Juin 2017

Lovely hotel within easy walking distance to Paris Nord train Station. Room was very small, but very clean. Located in a good location and easy to get around, and staff were very helpful. Breakfast was nice.

"Nice rooms and friendly staff"
jesstruskowski, 22 Juin 2017

I stayed a couple of nights for business. The staff was extremely nice helping me with directions around the city and with the Metro. I thought the rooms were very nice - clean, comfortable beds, nice bathroom. I liked the location as well - it is by the train station (the train that comes from London) and walking distance to Montmarte.

"Modern, clean and very nice"
Tracy D, 23 Mai 2017

This is a very nicely updated hotel in a lively neighborhood. The place was spotless and the staff very helpful and friendly. We had a standard room which was very small, and of course that is typical for European hotels. However, the room was efficiently organized to provide a comfortable space. And most of all it was very quiet. There were pricier choices that were roomier, had we chosen to go that route. We did not purchase breakfast, but it looked very good.

"Good hotel in the right place"
Allen M, 22 Mai 2017

Fine, recently-modernised hotel within ten minute walk of Gare du Nord, close by local Metro station and a few minutes from useful bus routes. Our room was compact, like most Paris hotels in the price range - but not too small for the two of us. The bathroom was very modern and had an excellent shower. Friendly staff, a safe place to leave luggage, too. We had a room overlooking the street but there was good sound-proofing and good air-conditioning, so we kept the window closed and slept well. This hotel is ideal for visitors to Paris who travel by Eurostar or Thalys!

"Awesome hotel"
Lacey K, 15 Mai 2017

We stayed here for one night when we visited Paris last week. It is a very assessable hotel very close to the metro and walking distance of the Louvre and lots of restaurants and shops. We got there with our luggage before regular check in time but they allowed us to check in early. We were upgraded to a junior suite with was amazing. The receptionist was so amazing giving us maps and showing us how to get everywhere. We checked out the next morning and they kept our luggage for the day because we were flying out in the evening and wanted to explore. They even set up a taxi for us later that evening even though we had already checked out. They also had a lovely little breakfast.

"Cute and well connected hotel"
VEliZ, 11 Mai 2017

The hotel is a very pleasant property, but beware that it is a very small hotel, from the moment you walk into the lobby until you are in your room you constantly feel the lack of space in the general environment. That being said the hotel's modern design helps a lot of creating additional sense of space. I also appreciate the staff who are at the hotel who are very friendly and genuine. I wouldn't hesitate to take this hotel again if I was on a short trip, or perhaps taking a bigger room if I need to stay longer.

"The hotel provided what we needed!"
Kimie Y, 08 Mai 2017

the hotel was near north station and a subway station. it was very convenient. the room was nice. the staff were very kind. They showed us how to get to the places we wanted to go, and recommended us where to go. We stayed for one night, then we were away for two days and came back. They kept our luggage got free until we come back.!I want to stay there again.

"Excellent stay"
GBSV85, 08 Mai 2017

We had a great experience at the BW Premier Faubourg 88. The staff were very helpful and answered all our questions. Easy access to the transit system and walking distance to the Eurostar (10 minute walk). Clean rooms, very professional. I would recommend the BWPF 88 to anyone visiting Paris.

"Amazing location and staff"
Bryan O, 04 Mai 2017

This was my first trip to Paris, I booked this Best Western knowing it was close to a Metro Station. I didn't realize how close it when until I actually arrived. I arrived early (trans Atlantic flight) around 10am and they allowed me to change my clothes and hold my bags at the desk while we went exploring Paris. The front desk people we spoke with were so very helpful with a Paris Metro Map showing us which stations would be best for what we wanted to see. The Metro Station was maybe a 1 minute walk. The breakfast at this hotel was VERY good, the crepes were delicious! Everyone was very friendly and the room was huge, I was very very pleasantly surprised. This hotel began my trip to Paris and France in a great way and ended it on my last night in France in a great way. Just really truly very nice people, (who also speak perfect English) and are just awesome.

"good location, comfy bed and amazing people."
Hina M, 02 Mai 2017

we stayed here for our first weekend in Paris. it was my partner's birthday and because we didn't book directly we had some problems with the booking which were later resolved so as a good gesture they upgraded our room. The room we were given was 303 a junior suite, amazing airy room. loved the comfy bed with an amazing toilet/bath. had its own little speaker and coffee machine which just made it special. bath robe and slippers were provided at request. I liked the fact that this hotel was very calm and quiet, if you want a peaceful stay in a good location this is perfect. very friendly and helpful staff, they gave us tips to go around. location is amazing.. 1 min walk to metro which takes u to the main stations in 10 minutes. nothing that I can fault, will be returning :)

"Excellent location"
angelaT4378UY, 17 Avril 2017

Very close to Metro station, and some good restaurants and supermarkets nearby which are convenient. Rooms are clean though not quite enough space for handling 2 suitcases. Staff are friendly and helpful. A pleasant stay overall.

"Nice property, excellent location. "
P L, 13 Avril 2017

My teens and I stayed in a triple (503) for a week. The property is a few steps away from a Metro stop which is perfect for exploring Paris. It's also just a 10 minute walk from RER station to get you to/from the CDG airport. The hotel is nicely equipped with comfy main bed, spacious bathroom and reliable WiFi. The pull out bed was usable. We did not take the breakfast as it seemed expensive at 14eur. There are plenty of other options with a bakery across the street, grocery store around the corner and plenty of cafes nearby offering sit down breakfast for a lot less. The only reason I didn't give this nice property 5 stars was for the cleaning and maintenance crew. Our room was clean but on our first night the fold out bed had a dirty sheet and no blanket and the there were towels only for two persons. The desk clerk took care of the problem right away but twice during our stay we would still be short a towel or sheet for the fold out bed and have to ask for a extras. The other problem was our shower door top hinge was pulling out of the wall. I had notified the clerk at the beginning of our stay but it was never fixed. Its a heavy glass door so I didn't want it pulling completely out and falling and breaking into the shower. Otherwise it was a nice stay and I would recommend this place to my friends.

"Fine hotel to stay"
User, 03 Avril 2017

Very good hotel less than 50 metres from a Metro station line 7 The room was small but well equiped and clean. the beds were perfect. nice bathroom with a nice rainshower Very friendly staff Good breakfast Overall an great hotel for a short stay.

"good location"
lollyBrighton, 01 Avril 2017

the hotel is a short bus or metro ride from Gare du Nord although we did walk and it only took 15/20mins - A very comfortable hotel, very close to two metro stations - so easy access to all parts of the city and with huge selection of good places to eat close by - we ate breakfast out (it was cheaper) . The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

"Clean and modern hotel in good location"
phr123, 26 Mars 2017

Positive: - Front Desk friendly + English speaking - Clean and modern room - nice bathroom with rainbow shower - comfortable large bed - subway very closeby Negative: - room rather small (for Paris it was quite ok) - not enough seats for breakfast - no own parking, but 50% discount in a parking garage nearby

"Weekend in Paris"
MonicaMorv, 22 Mars 2017

Generally very happy with the hotel. The room and shower were small but the bed was huge and very comfortable. We were only in Paris to watch our daughter in a competition so just wanted a base to sleep and which would be an easy commute. The staff were friendly and helpful, our room was very clean and it was great value. I'd definitely stay here again.

"Best Crêpes ever at breakfast"
Bia57, 06 Mars 2017

Five stars location, near Gare du Nord, Rue Lafayette, Metro 100 meters, good restaurants nearby and, of course, not to miss Lafayette Galeries. Comfortable bed, excellent breakfast, good natural orange juice and best crêpes ever in Paris.Free wi-fi good signal. Very nice and helpefull staff.

"Great Service, Amazing hotel"
elliot M, 27 Novembre 2016

Greg took amazing care of us and made sure our stay was perfect. Would come back in an instant, great room, great facilities and the service was easily the best I received during our entire holiday. Many thanks!

"Very nice hotel near Gare du Nord."
jojo2005, 22 Novembre 2016

We checked in early on a Sunday for a 2 nights stay. Our room was not quit ready. They took our luggage and we went for a quick bite nearby. Upon our return, the room was ready. It was on the 5th floor, facing the courtyard We booked a standard room, they are well appointed but on the very small size. For 2 nights it was ok, but for a longer stay, I would upgrade to a bigger room. The room was clean. The bed was very comfor

"Wazza stayed here to!!"
708warrena, 02 Novembre 2016

Well i must say we enjoyed our stay, modern comfortable clean quiet room. Nice soft Huge bed with the best pillows. Staff were excellent, very courteous and extremely helpfull with directions etc and breakfast was good too. The hotel is an easy and pleasant 30min walk to river 5 min from guard de nord (where the red hop on hop off bus stop is also) train station and there is also a undergrond station literaly 1min from the hotel door. If you follow the directions to the city on the map given by the concierge it pops you out at a park and some shopping centers then one or the bridges where there is a ferry for river tours and we felt very safe walking this route even at night stopping at the numerous cafes for a drink and bite to eat. There is a laundromat 5min away and plenty of cafes etc close by and taxis can be ordered at reception for a reasonable fixed price to the airport etc. All in all enjoyable stay made easier by the staff who were excellent.

"No AC"
ssh21, 26 Octobre 2016

I had stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. There was a AC in the room which wasn't working. I complained on the first day but nothing was for the second night stay. They kept saying that just switch it on and it will work. It was very warm in the room and especially with the baby it we couldn't really sleep for 2 nights. I asked for a review process or compensation but I was just asked to email my concerns. Very nice hotel but disappointed with the service.

"Great location and updated rooms"
mmccalpin, 18 Septembre 2016

We spent a week here as a base for our family holiday in Paris. We had to choose this hotel at the last minute when our booking at another hotel was unexpectedly cancelled (long story), but I think we may have enjoyed this place more than we would have the other anyway. The location is extremely convenient to the Poissonière metro station (Google says it is 52 meters away, but I think it may be less). Although the 7 line is not the most convenient line, we found it easy to get everywhere we wanted to go. The rooms were very clean and recently updated. We chose the executive rooms, which meant that our rooms were on different floors, but the hotel is so small (29 rooms, I think), that this was not really a problem. The bathrooms and the showers specifically were large, but for some reason, the toilet itself was in a completely separate and unattached space. These rooms have windows both front and rear, so getting a cool cross-breeze was easy. We were there several days before the kids realized that there was air-conditioning in the rooms, and I don't think we ever used it in our room. The street noise was a little bit bothersome because we left the windows open, but after a long day of sightseeing, I was able to sleep through anyway. Breakfast downstairs was typical fare for a Continental hotel, and I think that our youngest child's (10 years old) was free, as we were only charged for four instead of five breakfasts. The breakfast staff has limited English skills, but between them and my limited French skills, it all worked out. The space where breakfast is served is very small and very quiet: actually uncomfortably so in both regards, but there are certainly plenty of other nearby places for breakfast if you prefer. The desk staff were very helpful and pleasant throughout our stay, and their English skills were fine. We would happily stay here again.

"Centrally Located at a decent price."
VijaySoundararajan, 17 Septembre 2016

This hotel is centrally located and a 5 minute walk to Le Palatier Metro station. Rooms are pretty small, however it is fine for a couple. Bathrooms are pretty small as well. Clean, Hygienic and housekeeping does a good job. Reception staff speak good english and help you with a map and routes for major destinations/attractions. Breakfast is extra charged, however there are multiple eateries nearby. Just across the street is an exceptional crepe shop where you get some of the best crepes. I would say this hotel is pretty good for the price they charge. Every room has a balcony.

"Friendly hotel in convenient location"
BethHanoi, 15 Septembre 2016

The best part of the hotel is the very kind and helpful staff. They were all super, Gregory especially, helped me get organized on arrival and even went with me down the street to look for my husband, who arrived at a later time, and got lost. The manager came down to try to get my internet hooked up. The hotel is very close to Metro stop Poissonierre and the Gare du Nord. Room was upgraded -much appreciatd-rather small -but probably it is big per Paris/city standards!. Everything was fresh, clean and comfortable in the room. Had hot water pot, and coffee/tea. Little grocery store next door and a number of good restaurants in the area. Liked that Arr. 10 is not so touristy feeling. We'd come back to this hotel again.

"Will be back! "
Andrea M, 01 Septembre 2016

My daughter and I visited this hotel recently and we were delighted with it. It was spotlessly clean, cool, modern and very comfortable. Lovely shower too! Ideal location, close to the Gare du Nord (easy walking distance) and the metro so perfect as a base for sightseeing. Staff were really polite and helpful - particularly Edouardo on reception who went out of his way to ensure we were OK. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because there was a mix up over our room, but it was soon sorted out and we were upgraded. I would recommend this hotel as offering good value for money. We will definitely return when we visit Paris again ??

"excelent hotel"
Olilucalep, 22 Août 2016

this hotel is ideally situated for travel on eurostar, rooms are spotless, staff really helpful especially Patrick, nothing too much trouble, a word of warning If someone at the station asks do you need a cab be careful ,my cab driver took me on a 20 minute cab ride when the hotel was a 10 minute walk away, then he asked for 50 euros I gave him 10 and told him to call police if he had a problem with that( he didnt) not a nice start

"Very poor and so dirty"
Amir B, 18 Août 2016

If you want a good hotel i don't suggest to u,very poor service and the room is so dusty and dirty even i request a very clean room before,so it's better for you to book a hotel around la'defense or if you can spend more money the best choice is around opera or les halles

"Very good value for the money"
Valerie W, 14 Août 2016

We chose this hotel for a few different things. Price, cleanliness, and location. We needed three rooms, so price was definitely important. We paid about $100 a night including taxes for each room. The rooms were exceptionally clean, but very small. Given that its Paris, its pretty common for rooms to be small. I would chose cleanliness over size of room any day. The location was important because we had an early flight out of Charles De Gaulle and we wanted to be close to a train station. This hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk to Gare Du Nord. Not the fanciest area, but I felt safe. There is also a fabulous small Italian restaurant right across the street from the hotel. Amazing food and great prices.

"Nice hotel - excellent service"
Elaineshannon1, 13 Août 2016

Excellent service from the front desk at all times during stay. Nothing too much hassle! Location close to sights and close to la Fayette for shopping. Rooms were clean but small - had interconnecting rooms as had 2 children with us. Was excellent as the kids had there own space but had a foyer and door between us

"Short city break"
User, 09 Août 2016

Perfect location. Really close to the metro and shops and restaurants a short walk away. We are both vegan and we found a lot of vegan and veggie restaurants in this area so it was perfect for us. Very good size room, other hotels I've stayed in when I've been to Paris have had tiny rooms. Very nice powerful shower! Friendly helpful staff. Would drift tilt stay again.

"Good location but let down but lack of cleaning"
JLovett, 08 Août 2016

We only stayed here for one night on our way to Bordeaux. As others have said the hotel is in a good location for the metro and Gare du Nord. The receptionist was very friendly on check-in and his English was much better than our French! We were told our room had been upgraded but I'm not sure how small our original room would have been as our upgraded room was pretty small. I've only rated this hotel as 3 out of 5 as our bathroom was not particularly clean and there was rather a lot of body hair left on the sink and toilet which we had to dispose of. If cleanliness was improved I think this would be a good hotel to stay in if all you want is a room to sleep in and will be out most of the time.

"Terrific Staff, Great Location"
Adrian M, 25 Juillet 2016

The hotel is really close to Poissonniere metro (just a minute away) - which is really handy for exploring the city (and you can walk down to Galeries Lafayette in 15 minutes if you choose to) We had two rooms - one was large, the other was a bit small (with a sofa bed for a third person) - but both were very clean and smart. We didn't take breakfast in the hotel - but found a fantastic Boulangerie just over the road where you could get freshly baked breads on a morning (and there are plenty of local cafes down the side streets). What really made the stay were the staff - they were all friendly and really helpful. Our coffee machine broke on the first day (and short circuited the room). We didn't get it replaced, but the staff were really helpful and would bring coffee and hot water whenever we needed it (or we could pop down and get it ourselves - was a nice opportunity to chat to the staff). Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again next time we return to Paris.

"Experience the true Paris suburbs"
Sandra M, 23 Juin 2016

We recently traveled to Paris. Having been there before, I wanted a more local feel, less tourists. I found this hotel in the 9th arr. Close to Gare du Nord (great location if you want to rent a car or travel elsewhere in France). The Metro station is literally right down the street. There are several small, quaint restaurants in the area. Close to LaFayette Mall. Honestly, this hotel was a great find. A small, boutique hotel, recently renovated, great decor. Staff were very helpful, spoke English which helped out a lot. I love the bathrooms in this hotel. Do not be alarmed when you find the toilet in a separate room :). Some of the rooms are smaller, so if you have many bags, make sure you ask for the bigger rooms. Since it is in the 9arr., rather far from CDG, plan your taxi accordingly. Taxi fares include a flat fee, then it is based on time...if you arrive in the early morning or early evening you are bound to run into traffic...our taxi fare was $120.00 Euro, our flight arrived at 4 PM. Other than that, I would highly highly recommend this hotel. Oh yeah, it has a kids park right down the street. Most metro rides to any attractions you might want to see are at the most a half an hour. Not bad!

"Gret Hotel, 30 seconds from the Metro"
Chaun123, 15 Juin 2016

Booked this place last minute. The service was 5*(from the staff) the room was small but appeared recently refurbished and was spotless. Only thing that let it done was the quality of the breakfast. That said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay again if I was looking for cheap and extremely cheerful. P.S the staff really where amazing, especially with there suggestions of places to eat.

"Good for a short business stay"
MisMoz, 13 Juin 2016

Best Western Faubourg 88 is great for a short business stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable if a bit small. It is well located only a 10 minute walk from the Gare du Nord Station so perfect for short stays when coming from London. The staff are very nice and helpful. One tip - the ground floor rooms have a downstairs bathroom which is not the most comfortable, so if you can request a room in one of the higher floors

"Incredibly small Room"
RM_ES07, 13 Juin 2016

even though the room was clean, I must say that was unconfortably small. 2 persons could not be at same time in the room. I am not claustrofobic, but not a choice in case you don t feel godd in small spaces.-

"Great location and friendly staff"
Claire M, 12 Juin 2016

We stayed here for 4 nights in May, and our room was very nice and modern with a large shower room. The room was also very clean and perfect for our stay. The staff are very friendly, and have a good knowledge of Paris and can advise you of day trip etc and how to get about, The location is ideal and is only 20 yards from the metro entrance which was great when coming back to the hotel from a day out in the city. We compared prices for various hotels in the area and this one compared very well. Thank you for a lovely stay.. Claire & Dougie

"Great location, small but well equipped room "
naomi1739, 03 Juin 2016

We stayed for two nights for the tennis, in 2 classic rooms. The rates were on offer so was a very good deal for the time of year. Rooms were small but that's normal for central paris. Good facilities-our shower was great although my in-laws found theirs leaked into the main room. Location is great, some really nice places to eat nearby, and right next to a key tube line. 15/20 min walk to louvre or a couple of tube stops Staff were all friendly and helpful- we had an issue where our toilet wouldn't stop flushing, I reported it and it was fixed within the hour

"Well located, clean, urban design"
BlakeDani, 01 Juin 2016

My husband and I came to Paris for the weekend (originally booked at the Holiday Inn at Gare du la este). They unfortunately double booked our room (much to our dismay and irritation-especially since we had paid in full!!). They moved us to this hotel and frankly it was wonderful! Basic double room is small, but fantastically designed. Room was quiet, extremely clean and had a really cool urban edge. Honestly I was surprised it was a Best Western due to the on trend modern interiors. Great location if you want to be close to the Eurostar etc but equally easy to visit more touristy areas from there. We went for a quick trip from London (for the tennis etc) and didn't plan to spend a lot of time in the room, so the size didn't bother us. If it bothers you then choose a larger room! Overall a great stay in a central location, friendly staff, contemporary interiors. If we were going to Paris again and wanted to be near the Eurostar/city attractions we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

"Ok stay"
P00CHI3, 25 Mai 2016

Very small rooms, but that is like most Parisian hotels. Location is OK, it's on the border line of where you would want to stay in Paris. Any further out is the ghetto. We will not be staying at this hotel again

"Great stay near some famous venues and the train station!"
Carsten W, 20 Mai 2016

Stayed one night at the hotel. Liked the proximity to the trainstation, the Metro and the Opera. The Rooms were stylish, comfortable and super-clean. Just the eggs at breakfast were too long boiled. ;-)

"Such a lovely hotel"
Amyjohnson229, 17 Mai 2016

Stayed here with my boyfriend and little sister on Easter bank holiday weekend. The room was stunning and perfectly clean with a beautiful interior- the bathroom was fresh out of Tumblr. The location is great, it's about a ten minute walk from Gare du Nord and there is a tube station right by it with good connections to attractions. Totally recommend, amazing value for money!

"Great Stay!"
betts1492, 17 Mai 2016

Like we had read and been told, the room was small. So, we weren't shocked or disappointed............however, we were "upgraded" at check-in and our room, had a bath that was unbelievably huge! Actually, the bath, located underneath the room in a basement, was the same side as the room. So, if, we got claustrophobic, we'd just go have a bath! We loved it! The bed was very comfortable, there were floor to ceiling blackout curtains that covered the windows and the door, the aircon was perfect. It just was perfection. Breakfast buffet was plentuful, although, if I have one complaint, the breakfast lady needs some training on customer service. The rest of the staff, though must go home each night with sore backs from bending over backwards so often to accommodate our needs. Truly a wonderful little hotel. And.........maybe 15 steps from the metro entrance! You just can't go wrong with this hotel. We were very pleased and it made our time in Paris carefree. We will definitely stay there again!

"Very quiet place and good money for value"
legreg79, 05 Mai 2016

We spend two nights in this hotel in April. We liked the fact that it was relatively well located. The rooms were clean even if it was very small. The bathroom was proportionally speaking bigger than the room. We really appreciated the fact that they were absolutely no noise during the night. We left the window open and it was still quiet! We did not try the breakfast.

"Good location, Friendly Staff"
ozansilva, 04 Mai 2016

Hotel is very close to Eurostar station and very central. Our room was stylish and modern design. Also very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything. We might come back.... :)

"A little Gem"
19hippychick61, 29 Avril 2016

A lovely clean hotel, there were plenty of clean fresh towels and lots of complimentary shampoos, body lotions etc in the rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The metro is only a few minutes away so was very quick and easy to see all of the city. There were plenty of restaurants close to the hotel.

"Clean, neat, helpful"
Mirtrione, 24 Avril 2016

We were expecting more for the price tag - a room bigger than it was perhaps, in a nicer area (we walked from the station and we walked through slums), and some conditioner as well as shampoo. In essence, the room offered no more amenities or space than a cheap Travelodge would here in the UK. Despite that, what it lacked in quantity it made up for in quality. The room was immaculate, the bed comfortable, the shower nice enough and the staff were keen to help and assist. They all spoke good English too. The hotel doesn't have its own restaurant (unless you consider its breakfast bar) but reception recommended a very nice place to eat and we enjoyed it immensely. It's a no thrills hotel, but rest assured that you will rest easy and comfortably. We came here for a one night stay so it suited us perfectly. If you are having a longer stay with a possibility of spending some time in the hotel, this hotel may not be for you.

"Holidays in Paris"
Big1702, 24 Avril 2016

We had a nice and pleasant stay at this hotel, 1 minute from the M7 station and only 1 station from Paris Est. Hotel was very clean, breakfast can be taken all around in the area The hotel is clean and quiet. We stayed at the ground floor the bedroom was nice and downstairs we had the bathroom with a shower and a bathtub in it.

"Spring weekend in Paris"
Jakub M, 23 Avril 2016

What a great pleasure this stay was. Hotel is great and staff super friendly. I booked it as a surprise birthday weekend for my wife and what a great service we had. Before we arrived Eduard prepared birthday cake and flowers!!! (Thank you again!!!) My wife was really impressed. I cannot recommend enough. Decent size room, tasty breakfast, really good overall. Clean and fresh. 2 seconds walk from Metro.

"Travellling on a budge"
eibhlin031, 21 Avril 2016

I chose this hotel for the location which is walking distance to Gare du Nord, Lafayette gallery and other tourist attractions. I was travelling with my two daughters so we booked a room for three and honestly given the convenient price I was a little undecided whether to change to a more up market hotel. We were presently surprised however, the room though on the small side as is usual in Paris, had a huge modern bathroom. The hotel is somewhere between a budget hotel and a boutique hotel. I have never encountered such helpful and lovely staff anywhere in the world. We were loaned adapters, advised on good places to eat, umbrellas and one morning we received a call to the room to say that since breakfast was finished would we like breakfast sent up to the room anyway! Breakfast is perfect with fresh baquettes and croissants, fruit salad, yoghurts and quality teas and coffees. If you are travelling on a budge and want a little pampering at the same time this is the hotel for you. By the way there are a number of good restaurants nearby including a Japanese which you have to book a couple of months in advance! See my review of Blue Bistro. I have awarded four starts as I don't want readers to be disappointed however in terms of quality and price 5 stars are in order.

"Great place "
Saira C, 09 Avril 2016

I had a great time at this hotel. The staff were so helpful in helping us get fast tickets to the main sites of Paris. The staff was always prompt helpful and polite. Room was nice and comfortable. I liked the Windows. We had a good time at this hotel. There were no hidden fees but a petty city tax to be paid at the end of stay. Overall I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to any traveler of Paris. The other benefit is right on the metro and close to center of city.

"great place to stay in the heart of paris"
momof6cats, 07 Avril 2016

loved my stay with this hotel. very friendly and helpful staff. thanks for the upgrade: room was spacious and well maintained, enjoyed the nespresso facility. best access to metro, and therefore everything in good reach. will def come back!

"Good except for a few things ..."
trottvictoria, 06 Avril 2016

I found this hotel on a price comparison website but I got a better deal from the hotel's website. I chose it because of the location (less than 10 mins' walk from Gare du Nord), good value (approx £80 per night for a four-star hotel) and the rooms were newly and attractively decorated. On my arrival, the friendly receptionist upgraded me to a superior room, which is a bit more spacious than the Classic. The room itself overlooked the street and I was originally a bit concerned about noise but I didn't need to be as it had excellent glazing/soundproofing. The bed was very comfortable. The only issues I'd raise were that I found an empty paper bag and Pepsi bottle under the bed (I left a note for the cleaner and received a note of apology in return), I wasn't enamoured with the breakfast (the scrambled eggs were so overcooked that they were like little balls of couscous and rolled off my fork) and on leaving I was asked to pay the full bill (on the receipt from my website booking it had stated that the full amount would be taking on booking) and when I questioned this the female receptionist was unfriendly and sullen. But all in all, I would stay here again and would recommend it to others. Oh and if you want a nice dinner, go around the corner to La Maison Bleue in Place Franz Liszt.

"Scrutinise the pictures of the rooms"
Robert V, 20 Mars 2016

Firstly, the staff were polite and welcoming. We chose the hotel on the basis of it being near the train stations (North & East), and the pictures displayed on the Hotels.com website, which seem to show reasonably sized rooms. Unfortunately we were not able to get our 2 suitcases into the room - simply no space to walk past, so we had to upgrade to a larger room, placing one of the site cases onto the desk. Apparently this is the "normal" size of rooms in Paris, so pick carefully.

"A tiny gem in Paris"
Zuki2011, 14 Mars 2016

A smart, clean, hotel. With what is usual for Paris tiny bedrooms, but very comfortable and with a fabulous shower. A handy location within easy reach of Gare du Nord and metres from the Metro. Also some great restaurants in the area

"very nice find"
fromnormandy, 24 Février 2016

very nice hotel had an executive suite nice spacious room big bathroom with large shower, tub and 2 sinks the washroom is separated in a like closet the hotel is very clean and the staff friendly the location was perfect, few steps from the subway 10/15min walks from gare du nord so many restaurants around brasseries, Chinese take out, Italian, even a vegan restaurant front door. there is a supermarket MONOP 5 minutes away.

"Welcoming staff, comfortable and well located"
MrWhitesmith, 20 Janvier 2016

This Best Western Premier is ideally located, less than 10 minutes walk from the Gare du Nord train station and 20 seconds away from the Metro Poissonnière. I happened to stay there several times and I always had a good experience. First a welcoming staff, speaking 2 or 3 languages. Then comfortable rooms with very nice bathrooms (the basic rooms are a bit small, book a superior or executive for more room). Breakfast is simple, but the croissants and some fresh bread will bring you all you need. In summary, a nice, practical, comfortable and welcoming hotel in the heart of Paris.

"Good location and impressive toilet!"
TerryTanTT, 14 Janvier 2016

The room is smaller than expected but overall is satisfied. The toilet is big and well equipped, very near to Metro station, friendly staff and a nice Asian food nearby the hotel. The room does not come with kettle, thus we have to boil water with coffee machine for our baby milk.

"“Overall, very satisfied.”"
Dan B, 09 Janvier 2016

Hotel was within easy walking distance to Gare Du Nord train station. The room decor was very modern / trendy, which gave the room a nice upscale feel. very trendy. The room we were in was a Jr. Suite. It was very roomy for the three adults in our party. It had one large bed (I believe it was a king) and a couch/sofa bed, which was rather comfy. The bathroom was quite large due to rainfall shower setup (no shower doors). While the shower setup was very nice, it did leave the surrounding bathroom floor quite wet so some we had to mop it up after each use. One of the best features of the hotel was its super close proximity to the Poissonniere Metro (subway) stop. The stop was literally right outside the hotel door. It wasn't a busy stop so people and traffic noise were quite low. Several nice Cafes were in all directions as were a number of convenience stores for wine, water, snacks, etc. The front desk staff were very nice/helpful. We were able to store our luggage after we checked out while we did some final exploring before our train to London. A small refrigerator was in the room which was nice to keep water/drinks/food chilled. There was also a coffee machine in the room (Keurig like), but ours did not function well. The bath towels were very large and plush, but the bed pillows were a bit soft for my taste. The hotel did offer breakfast, but we thought it was a bit pricey so we did not take advantage of it.

The are friendly and very helpful. They make you feel welcome from the get go. The rooms are very nice and the breakfast buffet is generously French. We had an amazing time and the location was perfect for journey.

"Cute, modern, and clean hotel that feels like a cocoon - in central Paris"
Toria B, 15 Décembre 2015

I stayed at Faubourg 88 for a week of work in Paris, in July 2015. Paris was going through a heat wave then and I was delighted to have AC in my room! I also loved the fact that the AC would automatically turn off as soon as I opened the window, the kind of feature that all hotels should offer in countries where temperatures can be high. I had a wonderful experience. My room was clean, modern, and small - I think most are - but I didn't mind it at all, quite the contrary. I usually find large hotel rooms cold and intimidating and a bit sad if I'm on own, but my room at Faubourg 88 made me feel happy. The lay out was very good and I never felt once that I needed more space. I had very long working days which involved traveling all over Paris to meet new people everyday and was always looking forward to going back to my cocoon. Breakfast was simple but good, especially its breads and vienoiseries (croissants, pains au chocolat) from the local boulangerie. Fruit, Yoghurt, cereals, eggs, cheese and cold meats, with fresh juice. Like the bedrooms, the dining room is tiny - not its best feature. All members of staff I dealt with was very helpful and polite. The location is interesting. It's located just outside the Metro Poissoniere, a small tube station on line 7. The neighborhood is nice, safe, and feels very authentic compared to other touristy areas in the city. We tried a few restaurants around the hotel but I don't remember their name. There's one across the street that only serves raw food. I didn't try it but my colleagues raved about it. Parking: the hotel has got discounts with a local garage and it should cost you around 30 euros a day to park your car there Very often we parked it in the street (but be careful not to get a ticket and don't forget to pay the meter). I did have one negative experience one day when a couple of young people sat and started talking and smoking in the small hotel courtyard, just below my window, at 4am. This was unexpected as the hotel is smoke-free... Still, I will definitely book there again on my next trip to Paris and highly recommend it, especially to those who like me are planning to go around town quite a bit. However, if you're planning to spend a lot of time in your hotel room while in Paris and want some space, either book one of their big suites or look somewhere else.

"A bit off center, but good."
Eubeo123, 17 Novembre 2015

The hotel is not central in a touristic sense, but is very conveniently located, close to an underground station, allowing you to reach every part of Paris. The establisment underwent a total refurbishment and the rooms are spacious and endowed with modern features. The personnel is particularly cordial and helpful and the entire structure well kept and clean. (It is a pity that due probably to internet booking commissions and arrangements the breakfast in not included in the price offered, but in Paris a coffee and a croissant can be grabbed everywhere).

"4 nights in Paris"
NanaComey, 14 Novembre 2015

We been in Paris from 5th Nov till 9th Nov 2015. Walking distance to Gare Du Nord station and poissonniere metro station. Our room was very nice and clean but a bit noisy at night. Staff there are very friendly and helpful, which make our stay there comfortable.

"Would Stay There again"
Cher S, 03 Novembre 2015

My husband and I stayed at this hotel while we were in France celebrating our first anniversary. Everything was wonderful except for one incident. One of the pillows in our room smelled awful. I requested the pillow be removed from my room several times before it was removed. Other than the pillow incident everything was great. The front desk clerks were very helpful. They helped me and my husband navigate around Paris. I definitely will stay there again.

"Great hotel, ok location, rooms REALLY small"
a_ball_84, 02 Novembre 2015

Everything about this hotel during our 6 night stay was top notch with the exception of the size of the rooms and the location. Reviews of hotels are always seen through the filter of the price you paid, and so for the price we paid we were more than satisfied with our stay. The only things I wished were a. we were in a better area like Le Marais or closer to the river. Everything was within a 30-40 minute walk though and so we walked most of the time (found the metro took longer to get anywhere). b. The room was a bit bigger, as a seasoned European traveler I always laugh when fellow North Americans complain about the size of the room and take the complaint with a grain of salt. This really was very small though, upgrade the room if you can. There was a bit of a noise transference issue with the room next door which could have been a problem but our neighbours were all very respectful, so it wasn't for us. Rooms were very clean and modern though, with an excellent shower so all in all we were happy.

"Small but perfectly formed"
Readyroamer, 31 Octobre 2015

The room was tiny, but spotless, beautifully designed and not lacking anything. Kettle and tea/coffee provided. Right beside the metro, and only five minutes from the Gare du Nord, yet just off the main road, so relatively quiet. Ask for a room facing the courtyard for complete peace. Reception staff delightful and very helpful. Nice little bar area which also serves as the breakfast room, though we avoided breakfast since it's always better at a café outside. All in all, a very well-priced and decent hotel to which we would return without hesitation.

"An amazing experience at the Best Western Premier Faubourg 88"
SimonsJM, 05 Octobre 2015

Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and was extremely pleased with our stay. We initially booked a standard room which was a bit small, but Grégoire our very friendly receptionist, was very kind and extremely helpful in arranging a slightly larger room. The hotel is conveniently situated near the Poissonniere metro station, with lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance. The hotel is small but very cozy, modern, quiet and fairly new. Extremely clean rooms and bathrooms. We also had breakfast included with our rooms which I highly recommend. Overall, we are extremely satisfied and pleased with our stay and experience at the Best Western Premier Faubourg 88.

"Great place to stay in Paris"
Rossco1941, 16 Septembre 2015

Stayed there for an overnight in Paris. Very affordable. Location was perfect for our needs, very close to Gare du Nord. Room was small, extremely clean and quiet (with the windows closed), bedding was great, bathroom very clean and fully renovated, loved the shower, towels were perfect. Andree the receptionist as well as Edouard were amazingly friendly and helpful with their recommendations. Would definitely stay there again.

"A nice very clean in quite hotel in an uppercoming area in Paris"
mfk57, 11 Septembre 2015

Clean rooms, friendly staff, smiles, close to Guard de Nord, metro at your doorstep, a lot of fun restaurants and bars near by. Area is a little run down however understand that is getting better. Breakfast expensive for 20 euros per person. We eat out for the same amount two people.

"Perfect Experience"
Andy S, 09 Septembre 2015

The Best Western Premier Faubourg 88 was the perfect blend of quality, cleanliness and affordability in a lovely, modern hotel. Damien and Edouard did everything possible to make our stay in the Hotel, and in Paris as good as it could be. 100% recommended.

"Excellent bank holiday stay"
JAGl0ver, 06 Septembre 2015

Took the GF for a two night stay for the bank holiday weekend, was impressed with the size of the rooms, it's Paris after all and they are always compact but these had space and made full use of it. The staff were excellent and anything we requested was delivered and one of the gentleman on reception could not do enough for us, unfortunately I can't recall his name. The breakfast was good for the money but again it's surrounded with breakfast options so make sure you explore. Very impressed overall and will happily stay there again.

"Definitely WE WILL BE BACK!!!"
drurides, 02 Septembre 2015

A beautiful hotel with 29 rooms, very close to Rua(Street) Lafayette and much closer to the subway through which you can move around Paris. Walking will get you to Sacré Coeur, Galeries Lafayette, malls, restaurants etc. Very quiet hotel where you will sleep in your beds 2 x 2 after you take a good shower when you've walked all day enjoying the benefits of a city of which we are eternally in love. You will find the reception staff your best ally for everything, from the moment that you arrive are willing to help you with anything you need. Breakfast €14 per person for the buffet will be reduced to € 10 If you are agreeing to have breakfast at the hotel during your stay. For my taste the breakfast is very complete to start the morning: coffee according to your taste, tea of various qualities, pasta fresh, scrambled egg, bacon and sausages are included. Also juices, yogurt, cereals, various cheeses, and extraordinary attention from the person in charge of breakfast. I strongly recommend it to you. The cleanliness and neatness in general of this Hotel deserve to be featured. From here I would like to send my most sincere thanks to all the staff who made our stay so pleasant!! Thank you very much to all of you!!! Without a doubt on my next visit it will be my first choice to stay in Paris!!!!

"Perfekt Location, very friendly service, Metro only 100 meters away"
b_rouleaux, 02 Septembre 2015

Perfekt location, dogs are welcome, which is really hard to find in Paris. Service personall at the reception very very friendly, every question or wish was no problem, anytime an answer. Private parking 2 streets away from the hotel, the service personall also helped with that. We will come again!

"Top service"
Tistret, 28 Août 2015

Great location for access to Gare du Nord train station. This small and narrow hotel utilizes every inch in a smart way. The reception, lobby, bar (open 24 hours), breakfast room, business corner is a nice welcome when you enter the narrow doors. The room was so clean and spotless that I felt I was the first person staying there. Smart room design uses a small space without getting cramped. Soft carpet and comfortable bed. Tiled bathroom and rain shower. Minibar and safe. It was very quiet, so it was easy to get a good sleep. What really stands out is the friendliness of the staff. They really go out of their way to service you. Everything from providing excellent restaurant recommendations to lending out their private umbrellas. The breakfast buffet is surprisingly well stocked for a small Paris hotel. My recommendations for improvements are more power outlets in the room and allowing access to more than 2 devices on the wifi.

"Good for Eurostar travellers"
Neil T, 26 Août 2015

Smart, quiet and comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of the Gare du Nord, but breakfast buffet very cramped with poor service. It is not clear from the Best Western website nor from confirmation e-mail that breakfast is NOT included in most rates so check before confirming booking.

"exellent"
radoslav_nedialkov, 25 Août 2015

I very happy with my stay in this hotel. I stayed with my daughter for 5 nights and we were very happy with it. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very helpful. The wifi was exellent. Of course the rooms are small but I find this true for all midclass hotels in Paris. I can not name one disadvantage. I recomend it to anyone who wants to have a short stay in Paris.

"Very nice stay, bathroom a bit tight"
TNTworldtravellers, 24 Août 2015

We had a very nice stay, excellent service, comfortable bed, great A/C, and clean room. The room was small and bathroom was tiny. The only challenge we had was with the rain shower head. It covered every square inch of the shower so you could not lather or add shampoo without it washing everything away before you could properly apply it. There was a secondary shower sprayer but you could not mount it. So it was either hold the sprayer in one hand or get blasted by the rain shower head. Other than that one inconvenience, it was a great place for our 6 night stay; near the metro for easy access to sites.

"Nice hotel and great location"
Andrew W, 23 Août 2015

I loved this hotel. It's small, but very modern and clean. Located just a few minutes walk from Gare Du Nord and very close to the metro, it's a great base for your Paris break. The staff are very friendly and provides excellent service throughout our weekend. I highly recommend it and will definitely book again when I return to Paris.

"Great stay in Paris"
Stacey W, 22 Août 2015

Stayed a couple nights here. Wonderful breakfast and nice rooms, pleasant stay all around. Close to the metro, also short walk to Gare du Nord, area felt safe (we were walking at night with our kids). Restaurants around us were closed due to their summer holidays, but there were others not far away.

"A good hotel"
Kim P, 31 Juillet 2014

My main requirements for a hotel are a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom and a desk to work on, and my room had all of these. It's shockingly hard to find all three in the same hotel in Paris but this one had it. The front desk staff is very nice and helpful, wifi is good, it's ten steps to the metro, I had a very good experience here and plan to return.
