    « 3 night stay »

had to move to another room after first night a/c failure ice machine broke day 2 parking limited for my boat trailer breakfast was good lots of road construction at entrance tolerable convenient to boat launch

    « Not pleasant »

This is the first time I have been to Zapata and trip advisor said this was the #1 place to stay. Definitely must have been an off night for them. Room was spacious but when I walked in it had only been partially cleaned. There were head indentations on the pillow and trash left from the previous guest still littered the room. The price was not very reasonable either, $107 for a Sunday night in a small town. I think I'll stay at the Holliday Inn next time

« Good place to stay »

I really liked the way it looked outside and inside the lobby smelled and looked very clean. Need to have that person working up front clean the rooms, or manage people cleaning....looked clean but didn't have that fresh cleaned smell. Beds weren't all too comfortable either, I've had better beds at other BESTWESTERNS don't know why this one was different. May be time to upgrade. Pool needs to be cleaned more often too.

    « Vacation »

Very nice clean hotel, very roomy. It's has plenty of all the little extra stuff that I look for. The decor is very modern. Although it's right by 83, the highway, you'd couldn't hear the traffic at all, at least I didn't hear it. It was very nice and quiet. I recommend it to others.

    « Expected better »

Being a Best Western I had really hoped to be very nice. The price was not cheap and not having coffee and warm water did not help. Breakfast was not too good being that it was supposed to be full breakfast.

« Place to lay your head »

Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Outside appearance is nice , My complaint is there was only mildly warm water for showers, only if you took them in the afternoon. Only one ice machine was working the week we were there. Be aware "by the Lake " means you are in dry dock, can not get to the lake from where you are. B

« My Stay At The Best Western of Zapata, Tx. »

I was pleased all the way around with our stay and the staff was excellent! I don't usually have 200 words or characters to say about anything but...I will make an exception in this case! The food for breakfast was excellent and the comfort of the Hotel is more than I expected. The view of your small town was perfect as well! I would be very likely to stay in your little town and at this Best Western again in the future!

    « Great Service »

Will more than likely stay for personal visits great service and the internet speed was great for the meeting I had to work on. Everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. I enjoyed my stay. Hope to visit soon

    « Rooms need updating »

The rooms need to be renovated and updated. Has poor AC that is against the wall that is temperature controlled and turns off and on costantly. Room is noisy that you can here outside and the next room. Poor lighting; fixtures need upgrading. The bathroom faucet only had hot water. Kitche appliances need upgrading. Refrigerator was not cool enough. TV cable was horrible; could not see a clear channel. Not worth the value.

« Very clean and comfy »

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel. We had a room in the side annex so it was very quiet. There is road construction out front but access is easy enough. Good, clean rooms at a reasonable rate. Staff are friendly. Breakfast was fine.

« Good room but right on a busy highway »

We had a good room which was spacious, comfortable and clean. Unfortunately the hotel is located right on a busy highway, which was being widened at the time of our visit. There are probably other places to stay which are further away from the road and quieter. Most of the guests were construction workers and most of the breakfast items had been finished by the time we had breakfast. The WiFi was awful as one had to keep relogging onto the network.

    « Great experience! »

Very comfortable, clean, great service! The breakfast offered a good selection. The rooms were very restful and quiet. The setting by the lake is peaceful and beautiful to look at. I plan to stay here again in the future.

    « Excellent Experience »

My wife and I were visiting the Zapata TX area to see the amenities of the communities near Falcon Lake and the fishing potential in the area. We have preferred cards with two other national hotel/motel chains; however, neither were available in the Zapata TX area. Chose the Best Western and were very pleasantly surprised. The room was very large, extremely clean and the entire staff very accommodating and helpful. Would highly recommend this wonderful lodging to anyone...especially fisherman as it is very convenient to the boat launch ramps.

« Birding the Zapata area »

Rarities always draw birders to this area of the Rio Grande Valley. A motel that I have used over the years is the Best Western Inn by the Lake, Zapata. It has served me well over the years and is convenient.

    « Hotel Stay »

Hotel would be excellent if they fix the problems with plumbing. All we got was extremely hot water at night in the bathtub and in the morning in the sink. It is an accident waiting to happen. Someone could get scalded with the hot water.

    « My Usual Place »

I stay here every time I visit the Zapata area. I am there for business and so it's important that I get a good night sleep. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and welcoming - remembering who you are even though you haven't been there in awhile. I recommend this Best Western as the place to stay in Zapata.

« Bring your Kayak to Zapata »

This small bungalow type of BW property is spread out and and nostalgic unlike the the stacked properties of the modern hotel.Very quaint and yet open feeling dominates this location. Overall the property is in good shape physically with few signs of the real age of the buildings. Rooms are spacious and well furnished with a comfortable bed, and all the other needs expected of a BW. Bath linens were a bit skimpy but then again I was only one in room. Close to the lake which is what before the oil field explosion was what the majority of visitors were interested in. With recent rains, Lake Falcon is beginning a comeback from being low for quite some time. IF you get down to the road along the border, plan a stay here for the "Good old days"! Folks are friendly and helpful and food is good.

    « Lake Trip »

This trip was so relaxing. Your environment is extremely accommodating for each one of us. We saw the breakfast room atrium and looked forward to the next day. It met and surpassed our expectation. Love Best Western in Zapata. Look forward to more fishing trips with the entire family!

    « as expected »

The room was clean and comfortable. The price was a fair price for the room. The free breakfast was marginal but is typical for these type motels. I would stay there again on my next trip to the area.

    « Wonderful! »

The Receptionists at check in and check out were great. Very professional and knowlegeable about the area. It was a busy night before a big fishing tournament, although that was not the purpose of my stay. Everyone on thee staff was FANTASTIC! From the moment I checked in until I left they were great! The rooms are fresh and clean. An old style hotel that has been kept up nicely. Modern decor and everything works! Internet was good. They opened breakfast an hour early for the fishers an I arrive just before they closed. The lady in charge made me hot eggs just before she started to tear down. I will be back when I am in the area! I highly recommend this hotel.
