Best Western Premier
The hotel rooms would need renovation but still I would consider it as no problem for my stay. The bathroom was clean and the bed was comfortable. Other services seems to be OK, only the breakfast was really very crowded so one have to count that will be sitting by table with other persons. The western styl restaurant and the VIP dinning restaurant are good.
Great place to stay when visiting Yiwu. The hotel is great from a business point of view but caters to everyone. Great ambiance, service, and staff. The hotel is centrally situated around the city's main wholesale market. The hotel has a huge variety of dishes on their menu catering to people with various food requirements and restrictions. A must recommend to everyone out there! Safe travels!
Room ok. Air conditioner never goes on. Very limited television. Resteraunt service terrible. They really do not care. What they tell you what you will get and what you get are completely different. In Chinese restaurant no English spoken. No English menu. Plan on. Sitting a long time. To like staff is on another planey
Great place to stay while in yiwu on business Rates are great Rooms maybe old but functional and same as they were. A decade ago! Staff friendly yet not all grasp firm English speaking language but nevertheless helpful Breakfast same as it was a decade ago vast choices that never change! Rooms large and comfortable Better stay in regular room no sense staying on executive floor as not much to offer that's not available on regular floor! Great if you
This was a lunch stop for us to thaw out from the freezing Trade Mart The hotel is getting old and shabby and the Restaraunt is too. The six of us thawed out while eating a very ordinary lunch. I ordered a Minestrone Soup. It turned out to be what tasted like a can of Tomato Soup with a smattering of vegetables floating in it. Apparently the Hamburger was good my husband said. They do have a proper Coffee Machine there
Hotel is conveniently located next to district 2, however customer service is average. Staff do not appear happy to serve you and always have a sulky face. Room is no too bad but housekeeping does a really good job in cleaning the rooms.
Night shifts staffs do not greet when checking in. Got a non smoking room but next door smokes and can smell it through the vents. Unable to sleep. Breakfast was good and many choices but dinner at restaurant is very bad, not much varieties, sashimi wasn't fresh and still frozen in the middle. Still hungry. Staff are trying their best but I think management should sent them for more training; like how to serve food properly and have a proper menu and not from an iPad. Staff can't understand English and most of time had to use translation app.
Hotel is very old and staffs are not trained very well. Staffs are not speaking good English. I had high expectation about breakfast but it was just normal. Only good thing about this hotel is the location. It is in the 2 district of the market but nothing else is good
If you're in Yiwu, you're definitely here to do some business, and this is the best place to stay in for this reason. The hotel is located inside of the Futian center, on the door of building F. Service is great, the buffet too, holding a wide variety. As a tip, book your room in the last 3 floors, these floors serve as a private section, separate from the one in the lower floor. The rooms are slightly bigger, but these 3 floors offer a private buffet and a private check in service which can help you get away from the morning crowd on the buffet.
Don't get me wrong this place is good for its position it is handy in the western restaurant is not bad the Chinese restaurant is not much good as the food is sometimes off be careful with the seafood the breakfast is feeling and the service is always good
Very nice place to stay for businesses man . best hotel And in the market . Food is also good and the staff is also friendly. Rooms are clean And good. You will like this place for your work as any place near to it you have yo spend money to come here
Is just few steps from the 2nd district, doesn't even need to cross the street. 27 rmb taxi fare from the train station and reasonable price. Big spacious room with big bathroom with hot tube and shower separated. The breakfast included big meal options like rice and spaghetti for the long enduring exploration of the wholesale market.
Very nice clean hotel. Location is great if you are going for bussiness, everything is close by. I can only complain about th pillows in the room, They weren't comfortable, at least for me. The breakfast has a big variety of dishes. The western restaurant its excellent!
Ocean Hotel is the best location for visiting the International Trade City. However, in the evening there's nothing around it. You can get a taxi or Didi(Chinese Uber) to go to Binwang Night market (CNY 15). Room was spacious enough and beds were comfortable. It's a great experience to stay there and visit the Trade City for at least once.
It is an excellent hotel. When you arrive at the airport you only have to toll the bus number 2 and at the last stop you are in the hotel. It only costs 1.5 yuan. The hotel is located right in the 2nd district of the market. Decent breakfast although every day there is the same. Staff very attentive and go out of their way to please their guests even though they do not understand English at all. Very close to the night market. There are excellent prices for gifts. I have to go back again and I will definitely stay there again.
The Best Western Premier Ocean Hotel is located right at the gate of district 2 of the trade city in Yiwu and districts 1, 2 and 3 is within walking distance - great location if you come here to source products and close enough to the rest of the city of Yiwu. The hotel is decent and the western restaurant run by a US veteran is excellent! I've had a different meal there every day for a week and was not disappointed once. There are several restaurants to choose from and the breakfast buffet is more than sufficient for a long day. There's a little store in the hotel lobby where you can buy big bottles (4 liters) of water for 20 RMB ($2.94) as well as beer and chocolates. The staff at the front desk was not always friendly though and several of them struggled to understand English but we managed anyway.
This hotel is the best location for visiting the International Trade City. As another TA pointed out, you can go back and use the washroom. However, in the evening there's nothing around it. You can get a cab to go to Binwang market (CNY 13). We found it easier to purchase single item than the Trade City. Room was spacious enough and beds were comfortable. Not terribly friendly front desk but professional enough. Surprising Malaysian food in their room service menu. Would stay there just for that. Breakfast was adequate, with Chinese and Western choices but no egg station. It's a great experience to stay there and visit the Trade City for at least once.
If you are a business traveller and are going to visit the futian market in yiwu- the best western premier ocean hotel is the place to be. It is located bang in centre of the market and all the gates and district 2-3 -1 are walkable, and take only a couple of minutes the futian market is the place to source anything from a pin to electronics, etc etc. the only thing is you need to know exactly what you would like to buy and then find someone who can help you in the deal. the service of the hotel was great, great food and the rooms were great too. we stayed in a twin room and the interiors were well done and had an excellent breakfast spread too. very much recommended overall a great property
This is the nearest hotel to the market because it's attached to the market. Food is delicious and great value for money. Breakfast has many choices from Western to Asian. Staff do their best to understand you even when they cant speak English. Peking duck in the Chinese Restaurant is delicious.
I booked Best western as have stayed in their other properties in other parts of the world but this one was big disappointment . Booked the hotel for three days but checked out after 1 day only . It's a old hotel , crowded and more than that rooms are congested , rusty and not comfortable at all .Only positives I could see is the location to district 1 of trade market but Yiwu being a small city .Don't think it's hardly a advantage considering the comfort and price you pay !
The hotel is inside Yiwu trade market, just in the door of district 2. If you are traveling on business, its the best place to stay. Walk distance to street with many restaurants. You can go to Yiwu market and make pit stop always in the hotel, even to go to toilet at room.
Hotel located nearby one of an entrance of Futian market. If all you need is Futian market then this hotel is just for you.But you can't walk center of yiwu and taking a taxi sometimes problem from the hotel.Western breakfast is ok.I stayed this hotel 2-3 times but then i prefer to be city center to walk somewhere.
We stayed at the Best Western in January, it took us a while to discover the room key needed to be placed in a receptacle near the door to turn on lights, heat, etc. we requested an additional key to keep the room heated while we were away. The staff do open windows after they clean, but you can ask to have the window left closed and they will do this for you. The lobby bar is very cold and loud as it is an open area next to the entrance. You can head to the back of the room, where it is not as loud, but still quite cold. The restaurant is warmer and open 24 hours, but if you just want a cup of tea, or a glass of wine, you won't be able to do this at the restaurant, they will not serve you unless you are ordering food there, they will ask you to move to the bar area. I found the staff to be friendly, with the exception of the hotel restaurant. Here the staff are more cold and not very customer service focused. I believe the manager of the restaurant was the least friendly of any other staffI encountered. The 2nd floor is where you will find the large and delicious breakfast buffet. Coffee here is not very good, and getting refills was difficult (they don't ask you you must find a staff and ask for a refill) but the food was all very good, some of the stranger things I saw, speghetti and meatballs for breakfast, and chicken feet were offered! There is a small separate room where you can order an omelette, or have a freshly made noodle soup with ingredients you choose from meats, to veggies, to tofu and don't forget to add the noodles at the end...or you will just have broth with veggies/meats. The Marriott across the street is newer and probably offers better service, but you will also have to take a taxi to the market everyday. The Best Western is a great option, and the small inconviences (restaurant service, rooms won't heat while your away) are minor when you take into insider action the price is 1/2 that of Marriott and you will save on taxi fees during your stay.
The rooms are dull , but the bed was ok The water from the bathroom tap is not potable so it is not drinkable. They give you a small bottle of water for drinking The shower is over the bath & there is a huge window next to it so in the winter it is freezing.
Staff were friendly, and check-in was straight-forward. Mid-winter, and the room was stone cold on entry. Heating only worked when the key-card was inserted, so became really cold when I left for a meal. Could not persuade reception to give me a spare key-card. House maids left a window open, which didn't help. However, room was clean, and amenities were as expected. Lobby restaurant was very cold, waitress was wearing a full-length felt great-coat indoors, not relaxing. Food was good though. I chose this hotel for its proximity to District 2, which is right next door.
Good. Centrally located right outside the main Yiwu market. Rooms 1. Rooms are very clean and properly maintained. 2. Good quality linens used. 3. Beds are comfortable. 4. Decent sized working table for those who need to work. 5. Washrooms are clean - fairly big shower area. Gym Decent sized gym - early opening hours. The gym needs a little more ventilation. Breakfast Pretty good variety in chinese and western. Wifi Very slow. Complained but did not get a sensible response. Even 15-20 MB sized files take hours. Note to management - please get your wifi routers replaced. Overall highly recommended but a slow wifi is definitely a hinderance to work.
Very bad Room service . You ask them for a certain order and they bring another thing and they want me to pay for their mistake , somthing strange . Room is good , also the location is good especially for people who are here for business .
Check in took a little more time than other hotels, but the staff was nice. All cleaning ladies were very friendly. Clean and comfortable rooms with a great list of channels (first time I ever use the TV in a hotel). Breakfast was nice, not anything special and the seating organization can improve a little. The restaurant of the first floor was also pretty good and so were the private dining rooms. Great location. I would return.
If you are interested in exploring the Trade Mart, this hotel is one of the best places to stay in. Its hotel entrance is right across the staircase to District 2 of the International Trade Mart. You can spend one whole day exploring and getting lost! The hotel staff is quite friendly and helpful. There is no supermarket, restaurant, or convenience store nearby. A member of the staff tried his best to give instructions to the nearest supermarket. Also, if you have an early train or plane ride to catch, it is best to check out the day before. The Front Desk area can get very crowded, and the Front Desk staff seem to easily get flustered. To avoid any errors in payment or missing a flight, check out the night before so you have enough time to go through everything thoroughly. The restaurant on the second floor usually has a good selection of fresh seafood and vegetables. You may ask the staff their recommendations for cooking, too. Since the seafood is really fresh, a lot of their dishes taste good steamed!
This is a best hotel for doing business in yiwu it is in market and have everything English speaking staff nice room tasty breakfast western food restaurant even food for vegeterian. Bathroom have everything good size room .
I come back every year! It is the most convenient place to stay if you wish to spend time at Futian Market. Nestled in District 2, it is walking distance from anywhere at Futian Market. (A little tip if you wish to get to District 5, you can get to it quicker by leaving the market to the South and walking outside across the main road - only takes 15-20mins compared to the hour if you walked inside the building) Only draw back is there is not much to do or eat immediately near by; you would need to walk across the main road to the North to find any restaurants or convenience stores. There is a bus service which takes you into the shopping district but I failed to find out how to get back (not a big deal as a Taxi back was not too expensive). Has all the right amenities you would want from a hotel for work - good wired internet in the room, brilliant work location, friendly staff, reasonably priced restaurants and a decent gym. Things which can be improved upon: patchy wifi in rooms sometimes (but lobby and dinning areas worked fine), though the breakfast buffet was good, after the the 3rd or 4th day it got a bit boring having the same things! Would be nice to have more English speaking channels (only has CCTV-9, CNN and HBO). Always a pleasant stay and a reasonable mid-range price. Can really get your head down and work and the proximity to the Market is brilliant!
I was in Yiwu to spend time at the Futian markets and I don't think there could be a better or more more convenient place to stay than Best Western. I really could not fault the room and and all of the staff were simply the nicest all of the time. Nothing was too much to ask for! When I return to the Markets I will definitely stay there again. The only reason I didn't give top score for the facilities is because I didn't use most of the facilities and therefore I am not in a position to rate them all.
In my previous post I said I would return and I have, happy the hotel and staff are still as I remember. The location is fantastic and for an older hotel the fixtures and fittings are excellently maintained. The staff are obviously well trained in dealing with westerners and foo our an outstanding job. Again I will be back
Great value , safe ,comfy and very clean no foul smell whatsoever and the staff was very accommodating , very good location just a stone throw away from distrct 2 fair grounds, would definitely recommend to friends and relatives doing business in the area . Just a bit too silent during the night , the convenience store is a bit far so you have to buy stuff before 5pm
This hotel is connected to the Yiwu futian market. It is old and tired. the carpet is filthy and the room smelly. Service was ok. The bed was comfortable the shower low pressure. The consider themselves a four star hotel but I would rate them as a typical Chinese three star hotel. New five star hotels are opening every day. So there are much better options available.
I stayed here last year when I went on a business trip to China. The staff is friendly and can speak English fluently. The rooms are amazingly decorated, has cable with HBO and even a channel in Spanish, beds are really comfortable, bathrooms well equipped with toiletries and even Dove soap, the buffet breakfast has so many Chinese and international cuisine options you will for sure get full lol. For me, the best part of this hotel is the location just a few steps from the Futian Market, many Chinese banks' branches nearby and the gym that opens really early in the morning so I was able to do my daily work out before going to work. They also a good restaurant at the lobby for dinner and the people at the business center are so helpful. Totally recommended if you go to Yiwu.
Stayed here for two nights. Met my high expectations of a Best Western; clean nice rooms. My main gripe is there are no good close dining options other than the hotel restaurant which is mediocre and expensive. You'll need to drive to have better restaurant options.
The hotel is situated opposite section 2 of the wholesale market and is very convenient for doing business in the area. They also have a free shuttle to town in the evenings. Room and bathroom are excellent, clean and well appointed. Big comfortable beds. Our non-smoking room was on 15th floor and was quite. Breakfast was good, but a bit crowded.
This hotel has a great location next to District 2. The big issue for me is the air conditioning. I was there in April and management controls the A/C in the room. So if I set it to cool is will only cool to a certain temperature. The room itself was fine and a good price by American standards. The Western restaurant downstairs was 24 hours and had a few dishes that were good. The Spaghetti Bolognese was simple and good. The employees seemed pretty friendly. I dont normally stay at Best Western in the US. The room overall was clean. The bathroom shower items were large containers. I was ok with it but I know many people dont like it. The Exec lounge A/C could have been cooler as well. The free breakfast was ok for the basic items like cereal. I would go back to the hotel if the A/C situation was corrected.
The hotel is comfortable. Located near Trade center, that is convinient. I like it very much. Stay here more then 5 times. Good internet connection. Nice breakfast. Always recommend for business in Yiwu.
Nice clean rooms with every day service. Beside Futian Market, so do not need taxi. City center is bit far away for walk. In the hotel is good lobby bar. What I'm missing here is swimming pool. Breakfast is big, food I did not like so much, mostly Chinese food.
best western hotel is one of my best choices for hotels ,its location is so good and the view from the high floors is amazing, also the service is high standered, its price is so good, the single room in my last visit was about 350$/night
one of the best places to sat when visiting Yiwu. It meets the expectations of the sat and the purpose of Business just one thing you need to take care is if u are a vegetarian(No meant & fish) then the breakfast options are very limited. you may want to select your stay without breakfast.
Location - - right next to the market - - big time saver Reception / lobby - - normal - nothing extraordinary. - - but it's staffed by foreigners so no dearth of English speaking staff. Rooms - - again normal. - - clean - well maintained. Rooms take quite some time to warm up during winter - helps if u leave the heater on full blast for first few minutes. Washrooms - - clean - well maintained. - - but the look and feel is old - especially the shower area. Breakfast - - typically chinese - lots of room for improvement. Wifi - - excellent coverage & download speed. Gym - - a small gym. - - clean but very cold - would help if they kept it at slightly warmer temp during winter. Restaurants - - very good chinese restaurant. - - excellent western restaurant - the staff seem to be making a lot of effort to understand your need and taste.
Although the hotel is well located, specially for those going to the market i do have my reservatiosn about this place. First I must say that the rooms are nice and the housekeeping service is excellent. Unfortunately I can't say the same about the rest of the employees. First of all the staff at the front desk is absolutely useless. In fact I had a very nasty experience: one evening i asked them to call a taxi for me, first the three women talked among them for more than 10 minutes as if they couldn't decide who to call. The taxi driver tried to rip me off saying that I had to pay 10 yuan for calling him, so when I refused to pay he called the hotel and one of the employees said I had to pay, even though I hadn't. Basically they seem to have an agreement with him, and I suspect with others to rip off the passangers. Also, the breakfast was not a good experience, other than seeing some personel stealing food and stuffing their mouths with it while they were supposed to be serving, everytime you needed a cup of tea it's was five minutes waving to call their attention experience. Plus the food was not good, and the options for a continental breakfast were scarce. The cook hardly spoke any English and couldn't cook eggs any other way than scrambled.
This hotel is located close to the wholesale market. Front office speak English which is a big plus in China. Good breakfast spread and very helpful house keeping. Rooms are spacious and good for two. We took business room on a higher floor. Enjoyable stay and this is my 3rd visit to this hotel and I go back satisfied
A nice little gem in the middle of nowhere! Arrived after midnight and left at 9am for business. The room was nice and clean. Good wifi. Nice clean bathroom. We got upgraded to the Premiere Floors, which included breakfast in their club room... very nice!!! Would definitely stay there again
Very comfortable place. Market center is near the hotel. I stay here several times a year for business. Good location, good services, tasty breakfast. I like rooms - clean, always have a water and tea/coffee. Alway good towels and bed linen. Nice people everywhere.
It is a good place to stay in. Have stayed here twice in the last 6 months. Right next to the Yiwu market. Staff is quite friendly and helpful. Facilities are also well maintained. However, breakfast is not good at all for vegetarians and commuting to and from this place can get challenging, esp in the nights.
the hotel was clean and staff are very helpful the only thing is after the market close at pm its very quiet and a bit hard to get taxi if you wanted to go out for the night...but over all it was great the breakfast is great and the hotel is clean
This is not my first time at the Best Western in Yiwu. In general I have stayed at the hotel because it is practical and close to the fair. However now with newer and better options opening I do not plan on staying here again. Here are all of the negative points: 1. The air conditioning for the entire hotel is turned off in the Autumn and Winter months. However the rooms heat um to 27°C and they do not cool down. 2. Food is a real issue. The quality is not good and the has few options. 3. Breakfast is messy and with little options. 4. Rooms are old and could be improved. 5. Chinese staff is excellent however foreigners are unhelpful and sneer. Over all I suggest you try one of then newer options.
Staff was nice and helpful, rooms were big, nice and clean. Very close to yiwu market. Good Continental breakfast, only problem was it was only until 9.30 am which is a bit tight. The lobby area should have more confortable chairs. Internet was good and fast.
An extremely good hotel location service everything 5 good points. • A direct shuttle bus from airport to the hotel door step extremely convenient for 1.5 RMB only. • English speaking staff to guide you. • Only hotel in the middle of the district, district 2 is 10 steps away from hotel makes districts reachable. • Brilliant property clean rooms housekeeping takes 2 rounds in a day.
Absolutely no complaints re size of room (huge) and amenities (in abundance, some piks will follow, the cause of some amusement). Staff friendly and co-operative. Bar/cafe downstairs with selection of both western and eastern cuisines. Restaurant Level 2 for breakfast with huge selection. Free wifi. By no means is this a super luxury hotel, but neither is the area, being in the middle of the Yiwu markets area (huge in itself), no outlook nor views, nor anything much happening out of hours. We had not come for entertainment, so perfect for business. Also very inexpensive.
This hotel is in the district 2 of the Yiwu Market. It has a shuttle bus to/from the airport, and to other popular spots in the city. You can easily find entrepreneurs English-Chinese, Spanish-Chinese, French-Chinese and other languages around the hotel. Taxis are a big issue in this city, specially from the Airport, so make sure to book the shuttle.
The location is IN the wholesale market. The surrounding area is quiet after 6 pm. Nothing we can do in the evening. KFC and Pizza Hut is 20 minute walk, across the road using overpass. The staff spoke decent English. They are attettive and helpful, When I asked them about some old RMB I had, they helped me changing the old notes to new ones. It was summer and the aircon worked properly. The breakfast was fine for 4 star hotel. They served delicious dimsum and also western breakfast.
