Super friendly services and helpful staff! Nice place, warm and clean rooms. Comfortable bed and pillow. Internet speed was good. Good location, walking distance to Walmart. Close to fast food and restaurant.
What a wonderful hotel! I spent one night here heading to New York. Gavin was at the desk when I checked in, and since I was on crutches, he couldn't do enough to help. He carried my bag, opened my door, and even had a great recommendation for dinner. My handicapped room was clean and near the entrance. The only glitch was the young children running down the hall frequently—but that's on the parents-they should teach their children better manners. I'll be back!
My husband and I were able to partake in the celebrations for New Year's Eve 2024 and they did not disappoint. From the amazing decor to the friendly staff, not over crowded to remarkable band. (Cunningham and Haines) It was a fantastic time.
Excellent room, comfortable, professional and friendly staff, great pet friendly accommodations, extremely clean,. quiet, relaxing. Great morning breakfast. Love staying here. Rooms are spacious. As a pet friendly accommodation you would not know it given how clean and fresh everything is kept!
Staff here are very helpful and absolutely fabulous. They go out of their way to assist and do it with a smile. Rooms are simple but quality and always clean. Close to most major amenities in a rather small town, but a great place to stop and stay for a bit!
*easy to find right off the highway *in the midst of malls, shops and restaurants *easy drive to downtown *most excellent staff *clean rooms with EVERYTHING provided, including a last minute request of a cot *easy parking, including handicap spots *lovely lobby with a little snack shop *wonderful pool with lots of towels *breakfast included with lots of options *easy checkout
The staff at this hotel were great!! Chris at the front desk is very friendly and deserves a raise. The breakfast staff also great. Breakfast was good and beds were comfy. The hotel is very well kept .
Lovely, clean, beautiful room. Great full breakfast with nice, spacious dining area. Reception staff very helpful and pleasant. Handy location off the highway. Walking distance to Pizza Delight. We wished we could stay longer!
Location is very convenient, just off the TCH. Room was clean, neat and comfortable. Breakfast items offered were omelette buttons, sausage, beans, waffles, toast, yogurt, muffins, toast, juice coffee. Buttons and sausage very tasty as usual. Lots of choices for a continental breakfast. The
excellent place to make a stop on the long drive from Ontario to PEI. Absolutely great for not only the two of us but our large fluffy dog and cat too. Staff was very very helpful and the hotel itself was in a great location to pick up food, walk the dog or just sit outside and watch the sun set. Lovely room, nice and clean and comfy. Wonderful experience and great place to lay your head after a long drive.
There was plenty of parking. Check in was efficient. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. It was a nice surprise to be able to fuel up close by as well as find a place to eat. We would absolutely stay there again.
Check in was seamless, staff are really incredibly friendly! Pool/fitness area was so clean and the perfect size. I am so incredibly happy.I am gluten free and they had options for me for breakfast. They have a gluten free option for breakfast, they have a separate toaster and they change their gloves. I was so impressed with everything. Free coffee, tea, French vanilla, lattee, hot chocolate in the lobby! The soap in the bathrooms smells soo good! No complaints at all!
Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean rooms, have stayed here 3 times already and will only stay here. They have breakfast, pool and fitness centre which were all good. You will be be disappointed.
We bought a home in this little town and had to stay in a hotel until we were able to close. Approximately 1 week. This place offers the best of everything. Small town mentality!!! Staff that goes above and beyond the call of duty. Would never stay anywhere else here.
After a long and tiring drive, the friendly welcome we received as soon as we walked through the doors, picked up our moods immediately. Thank you to the front desk staff for your smiles and friendliness. The room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Enjoyed a great night's sleep. An excellent stop while on the road.
Staff friendly and helpful, room was clean, breakfast was good, great location, easy to find, close to major highway, Check-in issue, forgot to book room after taking credit card information, had to call back and re-book room, staff was apologetic once we arrived and went the extra mile to make our stay an enjoyable one. Would recommend this hotel, just make sure you get a room when reservation is made and paid for..
Hotel is conveniently located right off the highway exit. Staff are very pleasant. Hotel is very clean. Shopping is right across the street. Restaurants are close by. They have a breakfast at the hotel. Our room (king with jet tub) was nicely laid out. The bedroom was separate from the rest of the room
Love staying at the Best Western in Woodstock. The staff is phenomenal and always make me feel right at home. Rooms are always clean and stocked with everything you need. Breakfast is great as well with many options.
Our stay was as good as any other hotel. My only comment is, there was a power outage due to a winter storm. We didn't have power in our room for the majority of our stay and we were still charged full price.
We try and stay in Woodstock on our way to NS for a vacation because it is just over halfway. The hotel has suites which are great and it is pet friendly. The hotel has a pool and the hot breakfast is very good and will last you the whole day.
We arrived without a reservation and were greeted by a very helpful receptionist who made sure that we checked in quickly and without any hassle. Our room was bright and cheery and very comfortable, however we could have used a second chair at the table. The food was good and the staff friendly.
My wife and I earn points on our Best Western Mastercard. When we accumulate a lot of points, we plan a little getaway. With Best Western, we know we are getting a quality hotel stay, every time. We are exploring New England and the Maritimes. Looking forward to our next Best Western stay.
Nice hotel! Great location and area to visit! Would love to return at a different time of year! Nice pool and close to places to eat and attractions to visit! Very nice staff, helpful and kind. Felt like hotel was run by a friendly family!
This was the best experience at a hotel. Mr Murray, who checked me in was so authentic and impressive. I totally forgot about being a BW member as I haven't travelled much this year. He went through my account with a fine tune comb to make sure I got the best rate and all the perks. This hotel was exceptionally clean. It was a great stay for fair value when all the other hotels seem to be gauging people
We asked for a room that had not had any dogs, they tried by giving us a suite, but this hotel is riddled with dog smell, dog urine, dog dander, whatever it is. My eyes were swelling as I watched TV in the outer room. We woke up to a woman walking a large canine down the hallways. We would dearly like to have some rooms in the hotel that are dog free. This hotel is a dirty place. Front desk staff are good.
Very quick checkin. Young man at the front desk was super friendly and welcoming. There were a few issues with the coffee maker and a very slow draining bathroom sink which were attended to very quickly. The buffet breakfast was good although I'll be honest the eggs tasted like the fake ones and there was no bacon which I thought I would get with an American style breakfast. Nice little bathroom extras which even some Marriotts seem to be skipping. Overall not bad.
It has Excellent Service, Clean Rooms , and some of the Friendliest Staff you will ever Meet ! I wouldn't Stay anywhere else . Its close to all the Amenities , Food , Shopping . Easy Access to the Highway .
The Woodstock best western is the right distance for our first day trip to NS. DOG FRIENDLY AND QUIET with some local restaurants downtown. Nice nearby road great for a dog walk. Pool and exercise facilities are included.
Elite status acknowledgement at the counter made me feel special, the reserved parking spot enhanced the feeling. The CS who checked us in went out his way to try and get my name right and explained eating options in town. The hotel was very clean, the cleanest we had seen in our previous stays over 12 days. The reintroduction of the buffet at breakfast was the crowning event! Wow! This will be my go to hotel any time we are in the area.
Not sure what else to say, but someone didn't bother properly cleaning this room. There were hairs in the bed (under the covers), hairs in the shower, etc. The remote didn't work properly, the internet felt like dialup from the 80s, and the breakfast was mediocre at best. Hotel was full, so no other rooms to be had.
We were on the road and lucky to get the last room available. We arrived very late and were grateful to be given a late check out for the next morning. The main bed (queen) was comfortable and the sofa bed meant that our whole family could stay in the same room. The hot breakfast was good - but arrive early for the best selection. The kids enjoyed the pool, and the guest laundry (one coin operated washer & dryer set) was helpful since we had been travelling for a while. The staff were great, the hotel was clean and provided a range of amenities. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
Nice BW chain hotel. Clean/tidy, all of that and friendly staff, but found the bed was hard as a rock. Unfortunately they also experienced a county-wide blackout while we were there too so we checked out a day early. They tried to manage as best they could: hanging lamps in the stairwells and halls and offering free, cold bottled water. Though I'm surprised a new building doesn't have built-in emergency lights, and maybe even a generator.
Access to hotel is very easy. Ample parking close to lobby entrance. Front desk staff were friendly, helpful and efficient during both check in and checking out. Very easy to orient yourself during our stay. The breakfast room, pool (indoor), and elevator were directly adjacent to the lobby area. The internet, tv, and other room amenities were very good. The hotel was very quiet during the evening and overnight. The breakfast was excellent. A wide variety hot and cold offerings were present. The breakfast room was large, offering ample and well-spaced seating. This hotel gets my recommendation. We would, without hesitancy, stay at this site, the opportunity presenting itself in the future.
The hotel is clean and well located. I have stayed here twice and would not hesitate to stay here again. The room feel very spacious. If you require darkness to sleep I would bring a sleep mask. The curtains seem to let in a lot of light.
Be sure to double check if you get the CAA rate. When we booked we were told we would get this rate at check-in and then told it was no longer an option as they changed their policy beginning of June (after we booked) Besides that staff was friendly and rooms were clean.
My stay in Woodstock was met with room prices exceeding $200 per night for a king bed room which in my opinion, was far over priced given the hotel amenities. Internet/WIFI was rendered useless to send a simple email let alone scroll on social media. Ended up hot-spotting my cell in order to send a few emails for work. My room was matted in black hair, especially in bathroom. There were issues with the key lock on 2 separate occasions which amounted in 6 separate front desk visits, 1 maintenance guru, and a maintenance manager. The hotel staff also did not make any effort to recognize the do not disturb sign on my door and woke me up at least 3 of the 6 days during my stay as I was trying to remain on Alberta time. The issue is if you are staying in Woodstock, this is the best of the hotel inventories so do not go here with high expectations.
Excellent attentive staff. Internet was down for almost a day but this was the very first time I had issues at this hotel and was the ONLY issue. All my other stays were great! The staff are VERY ATTENTIVE and VERY personable at all times.
This is the second Best Western Plus I stay in, and it convinced me that this hotel chain suits the travellers' needs!! The place looked brand new (and it was 16 y/o according to the staff). Great rooms, nice swimming pool, welcoming staff, and a fully loaded breakfast buffet in the morning. Comfort, calm and cleanliness are the things I can think of to describe the place. Will stay at Best Western Plus again!
My wife and I stayed Monday night, July 18. Upon arrival, the room was clean, but freezing cold. As in, 62F. Just a thin duvet. No blanket. We tried to connect to the internet. No such luck. “A problem with Rogers,” we were told. “We're working on it,” they said (at 4:00 pm). No problem for us. We immediately connected to Rogers on our cell phones, and started running down our LTE plans. No internet during the day. None in the evening or night. None the next morning. Ever tried to run a business on the road without wifi? The next day, it's time to leave. We'd run up cell charges by this point, and after a mediocre buffet (eggs shouldn't look that colour), we ask for a discount on check out. No such luck. After charging us more than $200 for a basic room(!), the lady at the front desk tells us to call Rogers and ask for a refund. ??!! Ummm, fat chance! Here's a better idea: don't charge a premium price for a cold room, bad breakfast and no internet. There are similar motor hotels to stay in Woodstock as the BW — and they don't charge you an arm and a leg for the opportunity to fail. Avoid this location like the plague. It's badly managed.
Quiet hotel. Breakfast included with room rate. Free parking onsite. Easy access from the highway and close to downtown Woodstock for access to restaurants, businesses and shops. Would definitely stay again for either business or pleasure.
Friendly staff at front desk. Clean room, and everything worked. Breakfast had a good choice of products and beverages.checkin was effortless, as I had called ahead. Was in the room within 10 minutes of arrival.
The staff at this location were amazing. Brought us toothbrushes that I forgot to pack right to our room. Front desk and housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and welcoming.
Very nice hotel close to the US/Canada border at Woodstock NB. Easy access from main highway. Basic food offerings nearby. Aside from breakfast, which is more than your average hotel offers, there is no on-site restaurant due probably to COVID. Facility is immaculately clean, staff courteous and professional. The King Suite with separate bedroom was my choice, roomy, well equipped and comfortable to stretch out in with my 2 dogs after a very long drive. A little pricey for the area. After pet fees and taxes, the room was over 200$ on a Thursday night.
Hotel was very clean with friendly, efficient staff, great breakfast and fabulous bed. The hotel was an easy on/off from the highway and in a great position near the Woodstock NB Houlton, Maine border crossing.
Manager was very cordial and offered us a good rate. Location was excellent. Enjoyed the included breakfast.Disappointed that Rogers cable was so poor. Enjoyed the pool and friendly staff especially the breakfast staff
Recently stayed at this property for a work related conference and travelled with my two schnauzers. first time ever that i felt so comfortable at a property with my pets, the staff and property are absolutely amazing. no stress and able to enjoy conference
My wife and I were going for a little adventure and chose to stay at this Best Western (those points and gift cards come in handy!). We were impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the physical structure itself....modern, spacious, clean. What more could one want from a modestly price hotel? Will definitely stay again if we are in the Woodstock area.
My room was the cleanest I had ever seen a hotel room. Staff very friendly at front desk. Breakfast area staff go out of their way to make your stay pleasant and fell like home. I would highly recommend this particular BW property to anyone!
This hotel isn't far off the road and easy to find. We were so impressed with the friendliness upon arrival. The room was spacious and clean, with a very comfortable bed. Regret we didn't get to use the pool but next time.
From check in, to check out, the staff went above and beyond to make sure our stay was the perfect experience. The rooms were super clean, breakfast had lots of variety and quantity, every detail was perfect. I would highly recommend the Best Western in Woodstock.
The hotel was very close to all of the local amentities. Walmart and McDonald's were right next door. Hotel was sparkling clean. Breakfast provided was excellent. We rented the jacuzzi suite, which was a bit pricey, but the jacuzzi was amazing. Def recommend.
Very clean and the staff was so helpful! We had a great stay and would definitely stay again! I would recommend this hotel for sure and it was probably the best stay in a hotel I have ever had! Much thanks to the folks at best western for taking such good care of us!
Clean, friendly, well-appointed, easy to find. An indoor pool and fitness room are available at a price comparable to hotels without those advantages. Ample parking close to back entrance makes it easy to get your luggage to your room without having to carry it long distances. Very dog friendly with lots of outdoor walking area away from traffic.
My family and I stayed at the Best Western in Woodstock NB in Dec 2021 and we had an excellent experience. Service was top notch and Deluxe 2 Queen Size Beds room was super clean and comfortable. We had to change our dates and cancel two of the reservations and we could do so before 4:00 pm the same day. this is a very good feature of this chain of hotels. They recognize that travellers need flexibility as their itinerary may change.
Our Company held a 3 day training session at the hotel. It was the perfect location for our requirements and we appreciated the attention to our needs, the hotel's positive response to the COVID rules and the cleanliness of the hotel.
I must say this was my best stay at a hotel ever !! Clean rooms excellent staff and so accommodating .. Mitchel a big shout out to you he went above and beyond for us all . Thank you all once again Cindy
This hotel is doing a great job navigating Covid-19 and welcoming guests. They require vaccination and require masks! Bravo! The front desk is welcoming and the rooms are very clean. Parking is easy. There are restaurants nearby! They have a great little in-hotel store that is nicely stocked. We highly recommend this hotel and it's service.
I am long haul trucker and times I am to reset driving hrs.Being on the road u appreciate a clean,QUIET,safe place to stay and BW fits the bill.Amenities are close if u walk and shorter if u drive. On my stay there were no bugs to get u.
Easy access from TransCanada Highway. Good free parking. Staff were great on check in and check out. Well prepared with a comprehensive list of restaurants as well as some advice about best places to eat. Room was super clean; comfy beds Full breakfast featuring hot and cold items. Delicious Great experience
Efficient booking, excellent location and services, great staff. This was a last minute booking on my way through New Brunswick. I was able to call, book through Kevin at the front desk, and arrive with everything already done. Room was super clean and HUGE. Great Internet service to get caught up on work. Thank you for the great service.
I have used this hotel in the past and it is still as good as it was when new. The staff are excellent and very helpful, the breakfast was to be at 6:30 but as we were going to be leaving earlier they allowed us in early to grad a bite to eat, great service! Definitely will continue to use this hotel when travelling in the area.
The room was extremely small for almost $200/night. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size. The carpets however were damp or sticky and left a residue on our feet which was really gross. We had to leave our shoes on. We'd have complained but it was the only room available short of a $300 King bed only room. The breakfast was decent at least and the kids had fun in the pool, which was also a tad small but they didn't complain.
Amazing staff and very helpful! Rooms were perfect!! Very Clean!! We were travelling to PEI and needed a room as everything was booked solid throughout the whole province of NB pulled off the highway and sable to book 3 rooms for our parties of 6 already booked for our way home
Diving out east to vacation, and about 16 hours into our drive we decided yo stop for the day and have a rest. We stopped at the Best Western off the highway in Grand Falls to try and get a room, but they were fully booked. Instead of leaving at that, the employee at that location let us know that there were rooms available at their Woodstock location. I believe the employee from Grand Falls called the Woodstock location to let them know we were on our way (about an hour drive) as when we arrived, Octavia (sorry if I have the name wrong) at the Woodstock location seemed to have been waiting for us to arrive. She was amazing. Octavia was very welcoming and did anything she could to ensure we had a great stay. Loved the hospitality shown. My wife, daughter and I enjoyed the time we spent at the hotel. This service was amazing and has shown us that Beat Western may be our hotel of choice going forward.
Prefer this location over the others nearby. It is worth the extra km to go a little further than the border! Pet friendly. Great staff. Nice pool and property to walk the dog. Right off the hwy. Good breakfast and local stuff is close.
the front desk at this hotel or excellent people knowledgeable entertaining informative and most of all very friendly I would recommend this hotel to anyone that's travelling through the province of New Brunswick I would recommend it over any other Hotel in New Brunswick
Even though my wife and I have been to this location each year for the last 3 years, the property owner has elected to refuse guests from Ontario on account if Covid 19 even though the province and other Best Western properties in New Brunswick are welcoming guest driving through. Not sure what the owner hopes to accomplish by this but they certainly have lost my repeat business.
A birthday card delivered to our room, a call on my iPhone after check-out to let me know I had left my charger in the room, how could I ask for more? Excellent service and accommodation, and friendly staff.
The staff was great and went well beyond what our expectations were. The room was clean and we were able to get extra blankets and pillows without a hassle. Great experience and we will definitely be returning.
Immediately upon entering , you are always welcomed and feel at home ! Room is always clean and staff most polite ! When an upgrade is available they always provide It ! Always look forward to BW Plus Woodstock !
Very friendly staff, private and quiet stay ,A/C works good, nice big tub. Worth the price for the quality of the room. Whether you are a business person or a tourist travelling western NB, Best Western in Woodstock is a nice hotel in s convenient location.
Given all of the Covid restrictions and limitations the Best Western did an amazing job to set up and practice safe guidelines for the staff and the guests. It was well sanitized, things were well marked for physical distancing and the staff worked consistently on safety practices. I feel they were caring accommodating and very careful in their work.
That's how I like my hotel! Would have love to see a bar as well. Close to the highway, but not the highway of heaven. I mean, if your driving southbound. There was a lobby, a parking lot, a hobby, a television and good gestures from the staff. Bought food at the store. It was really good! Yummy ^2! 1337 forever
We were very satisfied with the precautions that the hotel made to ensure the safety of both the guests and employees. They also recognized the need for social distancing by only booking 15% of the hotel.
Clean, comfortable hotel very conveniently located right off the highway. Room was a good size and had very comfy beds. The facilities were good also- well equipped fitness room and a small pool. The breakfast was quite good also with gluten free options upon request. The staff was also great very nice and knowledgeable.
I spent two nights and enjoyed the atmosphere and amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was hot and had lots of variety. The hotel is located near shoppping, restaurants, gas stations, and is easy to reach from the trans Canada highway.
The staff at the Best Western Hotel in Woodstock, NB were very kind, professional and accommodating. It had a wonderful maratime hospitality. And the hot breakfast was amazing! A great place to stay .
Great hotel with very pleasant staff. Rooms are very clean and the breakfast selections were many. The kitchen staff kept the items fully stocked and fresh. The beds are very comfortable and you will get a great night sleep. They have an indoor pool (I wish I had to have taken my swimwear) and a nice fitness center.
I am a fan of Best Western. Very clean, friendly and looks after my needs. I often need to stay in a hotel for work purposes and whenever there is a Best Western in the area of visit, I will most often choose it.
This is definitely the best place to stay in Woodstock, NB. Clean rooms, helpful staff and wonderful overall ambiance. Breakfast was mediocre and when several basketball teams are in the building, it is pretty cramped in the eating area.
I try to make the extra exffort to stay at this particular hotel. I arrived exhausted after an 8 hour drive. They even offered to walk my dog for me! Now that is service! I believe they really care. Thank you Best Western Woodstock!
Nice and friendly staff! Clean, comfortable and good wifi! Really well located near the highway. Would go back there anytime. The price for a room in the beginning of December at 170$ is quite expensive though.
The hotel is easy to find off the highway and there was extra parking for my car and trailer. Room was fine and quite large. Included a queen bed and a pullout couch. Breakfast was very good and included a hot bacon and egg breakfast. Checkout was very fast.
The room was very clean and treat size and layout, Very easy check in, breakfast was great area was very clean and organized, staff were very friendly and helpful, hotel parking vet all was very clean, overall a great experience.
We loved everything about our stay t best western. Room service breakfast and close to everything ed was so comfort and lots of space to sit and arch tv or play games. Will go back and recommend to all my friends
This is a beautiful clean hotel with a better than average breakfast. It would be nice if the nightly rate was a bit more affordable for the Versace traveller. Close to food with easy off and on from the tTrans Canada Highway.
Stayed here with my sons Basketball team. All rooms were nice & clean. Bed were extremely comfortable. Hotel was up to date. Nice décor. Lovely breakfast. Lots of choices & clean eating area. Pool was nice
Wouldent be a bad place to stay but you book and pay for your room then arrive and they want to hold 250.00 more of your money for security they say ...was told someone stole a tv king bed and other stuff from hotel off the 3rd floor sounds like a line to hold a lot of people's money just saying .... I'm a diamond select member with best western and always leave honest reviews all over the usa and canada have never had a hotel do me like this hotel did a lot of my friends and fellow employees stay at hotels all year but this is one hotel I would not recommend
Staff is fantastic and went out of their way to assist when the room key didn't work and also offered an upgrade to a suite due to the room mix up Highly recommend this location when in Woodstock NB Rooms are very clean and bed was extremely comfortable
Had a business trip to Woodstock. Stayed at the Best Western for 4 nights. The beds were very comfy and the breakfast was amazing. No need to go out and find a restaurant to drop a small fortune in. Beautiful views from your bedroom window.
We were so pleased with the facility, helpful staff, and a very good self-serve breakfast. Our room was on the ground level and our vehicle was parked just outside the room window. The Wi-Fi for our laptop computer had a good strong signal so besides sending and receiving messages.
Best Western Hotel stays have made travelling much easier. Booking (directly with the Hotel) have been a breeze. The staff have always friendly, considerate of our time & very welcoming. We travel with our dog and obtaining a room on the first floor is an asset.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone who are looking for a hotel in the area. As the staff here went out of there way to help us out and made sure we were comfortable while we stayed here. Really good play to stay.
Enjoying a great couple of days at the BW in Woodstock, NB. The hotel building is very impressive and the interior design is quite pleasing. Check in and out staff are quick with a smile and very helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the bed and choice of pillows made for a good night's sleep. The internet was fast. I cannot speak to the breakfast this trip but always have had an enjoyable and filling breakfast in past stays.
Last year, I wrote a less than stellar review about this property, so I wasn't super excited to take another chance there this year. But with so few options in the area, I figured I'd risk it. I'm so glad I did! The check in was super friendly and fast and the room was very clean and comfortable room. Lots of space in the bathroom, lots of place for stuff in the room. We had a regular room with 2 queen beds and it was a really nice size. Lovely white bedding and white fluffy towels, it was also awesome to find 4 bath size towels which is unusual. The extra shelf over the night table is great for a water bottle. Appreciated the plugs for charging devices on the wall by the night table. The bathroom and shower were spotless including the shower curtain liner, which is an area many hotels could use some improvement in. The only thing missing was a bath mat in the bathroom, but that was likely an oversight. All in all, it was a wonderful stay. One other thing is that the lobby smelled like minty goodness, so nice. I meant to ask what kind of freshener they were using but I forgot.
Stayed at this particular hotel before, lot's of changes since last time. Redone the interior front entrance, no more bar and outside patio is ok. Pool and fitness centre are excellent, rooms are the same quality as before, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers what most other hotels are doing these day, good food very simple but very relaxing. Close to an assortment of restaurant so you can walk to many of them.
We had a great restful stay. We were treated extremely well. The night before we had a horrible stay at a stinky Travellodge. These folks treated us very well. I always try to be an easy going client and I was so pleased with this hotel. Thanks for caring about us!
Our stay was great. All the rooms for our group were clean and fresh. Staff was friendly and very accomodating to our early check in request. Very close to various shopping and food needs. Would definetly stay again!
Excellent location, easy on and off TransCanada. Short drive to nearby restaurants. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Second time we have stayed on our way to Nova Scotia. Will definitely be staying again.
We stayed here for one night this month (August 2019). The hotel was very modern and clean. The front desk staff were amazing. A free breakfast (hot and cold foods) was also included with our stay. They recommended a few restaurants (on a prepared list given to guests) and we chose Thanh Van. I inadvertently left my new cardigan sweater on the back of my chair at this restaurant and only realized it after it had closed. It was also going to be closed on the Monday. As we were travelling back to Ontario that day, I told the Front Desk staff and they made a note to contact the restaurant on the Tuesday when they re-opened. Firstly, I never thought I would see this sweater again. Secondly to my great surprise, the hotel sent a staff member to the restaurant and yes the sweater was still there. They brought it back to the hotel and when I contacted them they told me that YES they had it and would be happy to send it back to me. Something like this doesn't usually happen and my faith in humanity has been restored. A Front Desk staff member, I believe her name was Corine made the arrangements to return it to me. A few days later it was delivered to my home. A HUGE THANK YOU to all concerned as you went out of your way to assist a guest. To the Management Team - you have amazing staff. Thank you B. Tetreault Cambridge, Ontario
Imagine staying at "motel" where your room smells musty and then you find something disturbing in your bed at 2am? Thankfully, other options existed and that option was the clean and comfortable BW+ Woodstock. Sure, I had originally booked somewhere else because the rate was cheaper and I just wanted a spot to lay my head. How much is comfort, cleanliness and peace of mind worth? At 2am, saving a couple dollars seemed like a silly idea. As for the BW+, the rooms were great and the bed was clean, providing for a great night's sleep. The staff was very friendly and professional. While there isn't much for a lobby (size), the rooms are spacious enough. I had room just a few doors from the elevator and lobby and suffered no issues with noise. The hotel is located adjacent to the Trans Canada Highway exit and alone the main street to downtown Woodstock, offering many fast food options and service stations. If I should stay in Woodstock again, I will skip the old motels and aging accommodations and go with the best option, the BW+.
What a fabulous place to stay! Lovely friendly staff and clean accommodations! They are redoing the interiors of the rooms so may have mismatched furniture but it's a small price to pay for a convenient, clean and comfortable accommodations while on the road. Highly recommend!!
Best hotel in the area. Furniture is being replaced in the guest rooms---to be completed fall 2019. Staff members are all very nice. Very nice swimming pool, Typical highway hotel breakfast is included except that is has great baked beans.
Very close to the highway. Stayed over one night on our way to Nova Scotia. Rooms were clean and staff friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was good. There are eateries in the area. Would recommend to others.
This is a large motel just off the TransCanada. It is very long and has only one elevator.. Fortunately the corridor is quite wide but if you have mobility issues you may want to ask for a first-floor room close to the entrance. On the other hand, that would put you further from the breakfast room and you don't want to miss breakfast. It's really good. I had poached eggs with yummy real sausages (not those pathetic burnt offerings one often gets), all served on real China with real silverware in a real dining room with tables and booths. A real treat. The rooms were also good. The beds are quite comfortable. The establishment is undergoing renovation so the furniture will improve with time. Still, little things like reading lamps attached to each side of the bed make this an excellent place to stop.
We arrived around 6:30 and was checked in to our room. Since I am a Gold Member, we were upgraded to a suite which is extremely nice and beyond our expectations. We will not check out until the morning, but I decided to report our experiences thus far tonight.
One night stay in July/2019- very clean facility, lobby & rooms- bed very nice and comfortable and sheets & comforter smelled fresh. Decent continental breakfast- everything was great but it's a bit pricey for the area in my opinion- honestly- not too much to see or do in Woodstock, NB. Next time i'd drive the extra hour to Fredericton- but would have no problem staying at BW Woodstock if I had to.
We are travelling to attend GWRRA rallies, both in Eastern and Central Canada. We have stayed at various hotels with a few being slightly better than the B.W. but most being inferior. In all of the years of travel, I have yet to stay at a bad B.W. Yes we do use other facilities for many reasons but B.W. Hotels are always one of my top recommended stays.
Convienent location right off of the highway. Dinner places close by. Good breakfast (included in stay) had hot options. Spacious rooms good for families with very comfortable beds. Quiet area. Only complaint was how cold the pool was.
Front desk staff were very friendly and cheerful, plus very helpful. Our room was nicely decorated and comfortable and clean. Breakfast was included and wasn't bad but not overly exciting! The pool was used by our grandson to his delight.
Great location for an overnight stay on our way from Boston, MA to PEI, Canada. Plenty of places nearby to eat. Good place to fill up the gas tank. Comfortable rooms. Best of all, they allow pets, provided there is room, for a nominal extra $20 charge. We've stayed there before, and will be spending our over-nights there always when traveling between Boston and either PEI or Nova Scotia.
My family and I were driving through the area to on a vacation and this property was recommended to us. Fantastic location close to the highway and well maintained as well. The included breakfast was certainly adequate for the hotel price and being only 3 stories it was quick to get to your room via the stairs if you were on an upper floor. Staff were very friendly and helpful as well making it that much better. Several restaurants in the area are within walking distance as well.
Family trip returning from east coast to Ontario. Woodstock is about midway for us so we spent the night at this Best Western. Staff were very pleasant. Room was big and set up well. There were a pair of socks left behind by the previous occupant and missed by the cleaning staff. This causes a concern about the cleanliness, but no issues with the bathroom or any other part of our stay. We would return on our next trip.
Accommodations excellent beds comfy good pillows. Loved the breakfast and breakfast room. Enjoyed the pool and the staff was friendly all our needs met. Will definitely come again and will highly recommend this hotel to my friends.
Travelling across Canada, we were looking for somewhere to get a good night's sleep, and booked a king bed suite. Lots of room, and everything you will need; big comfy bed, well equipped room and bathroom, and a full cooked breakfast is included. Parking out front is convenient and front counter staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms lack any sort of character, but they are functional and well laid out. There's a pool on site too. Close to the freeway, but nice and quiet, and there are lots of restaurants nearby and in town.
Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. They welcomed us and gave our dog a treat. Room was nice and clean, warm breakfast in the morning was good. Great place for a stopover but stores close very early. We were there on a Sunday and everything closed at 5pm. Thank goodness for Tim Horton's.
My family and I recently stayed at this hotel for one night as a stopover on our way to PEI and we were impressed. The staff were fabulous and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. The pool area was very clean as well, my only complaint is that the pool was a little on the cold side for my liking! It was a great stay overall and we all decided that this will be the hotel we stop at every time we are passing through the area from now on.
I have stayed at this hotel in the past, and one thing that seems to be common is that they don't authorize your key for more than one day at a time. Each time in the past I have gotten to my room only to find that my key didn't work. Also - don't try to watch anything online on their TVs. They are mounted flush to the wall so you can't connect your laptop to watch anything other than cable. The cable TV service is NOT high definition so watching anything is fuzzy and grainy.
I wouls have to say its the best hotel in the area....it's not a 5 star but it recently got a facelift and looking good....You can walk to different food venues....and Walmart. It has a large parking lot and right off the highway....Breakfast has hot and cold items and changes everyday....I would highly recommend if in the area...
I was quoted a price and it was more on the bill I also told the would be free through points but when we arrived she said we didn't have enough points what a surprise to find out it was $200 also take your own batteries for the remote
From check in to check out all staff were welcoming and accommodating and friendly. Breakfast was good and the price of the stay was affordable for all included. Would recommend anyone stay for at least a night!
A well kept, clean hotel that manages to be quiet despite proximity to Trans Canada Hwy. comfortable beds, good showers, good high speed internet, and a breakfast with a wide range of options from cold to hot.
My stay was short but it was very good and the quality 0f the hotel was very good and close to restaurants and I very enjoyable sleep and the staff was promoted and very friendly so over all it was a good experience
We often visit Woodstock and always stay at this hotel. It is meticulously clean, updated, has pet friendly rooms and the staff are helpful. While it does not have a dining room on site it is close to a selection of eateries and the hotel offers a free breakfast buffet of hot and cold items.
This was a great hotel for my stay in Woodstock. Clean and pleasant hotel and the front desk staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and pleasant. The only very minor concern was that the mirror in my room had spots that were never cleaned while I was there. In their defense though I never remembered to mention it to the front desk so it obviously wasn't a big problem for me! Would recommend this hotel to any one.
Retired Military Vet Last minute check-in due to severe weather while driving a motorcycle. Got a large quiet and clean room. Local Greco pizza delivered food hot and tasty within less than 30mins. Staff were very pleasant and professional and very helpful. A Walmart was 20 seconds away. Best Western gives discount to retired veterans - that's always helpful!
We had booked this hotel as it would be the half way point in our trip to Quebec City. It was a great stay, and we received the nice surprise of being upgraded to a suite. It is very clean and comfortable. It was also a nice touch to have breakfast included, and that breakfast starts at 6, which was helpful for our early start in the morning. They also have hot items at the buffet. Its a large lunch room so plenty of space. My only recommendation for the rooms is to include some actual glasses i.e. wine glasses or something as we only had the paper cups which were not great to use for wine, etc. I was a bit surprised they didn't as it is a suite with a jacuzzi tub. In the majority of hotels I have stayed in, they usually have glasses available.
Nice place to stay after 10 hours on the road, Clean, friendly service. Would go back again. They have plans to redo all the rooms this summer so, next visit should be even better. Fitness room was being revamped, but pool and conference centre were up and running.
Had a great stay. The rooms were lovely. Breakfast was great. Front staff were fantastic, the changes to the lobby are looking great. I will definitely be staying at this hotel again on my travels south. Keep up the great work!
My stay at the Best Western Plus in Woodstock, N.B. was exceptionally great service. They were very quiet while walking the halls and cleaning the room. They always mentioned if I need anything, just to let them know. The rooms are laid out very nice and my room had two TV's one in my bedroom and one where the couch and sitting place was in the bachelor suite.
This hotel was nice and very clean. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly even just passing by in the hallways. The swimming pool and fitness rooms were clean. Large selection for breakfast.
Best Western Hotel in Woodstock New Brunswick Canada. Excellent hotel located centrally in Woodstock New Brunswick. Nice staff and clean rooms. Can't think of a better place to go when in the area for business or for play. Thank you
When travelling for work it really makes a difference when hotel staff treat like a person and not a number. Friendly helpful staff that do not hesitate to have a conversation with you. The decor is great and zI could not have asked for a better room.
We loved this hotel. Our small dog was welcome for a small fee and everyone was so happy to see her. I cannot tell you how happy we are as tired travellers when our small dog is welcome. We where able to use their microwave to heat up our supper and they where very accomaditating when it came time to park our Rv in their yard. Thank you all so much and now when it comes time to pull off when travelling we look for the Best Westerns...thanks everyone and thank you Best Western for treating us and our special little fur baby like we where special...
Staff was amazing- We were there for a hockey tournament and they went above and beyond to find us a place to gather. Matthew even set up the projector so we could watch the Gold Medal Junior game together. It was a fantastic hotel service.
We stayed for a hockey tournament with 17 nine and ten year olds. The staff made this trip so much more enjoyable for the kids. We had a conference room for mini sticks that we used several times during our stay. The hotel was certainly a highlight of this trip for the kids and parents! Thank you!!
Hotel was average not comparable to other Plus hotels that we stayed at in our travels. Worst part was being charged an excessive amount but had no choice as it was late in the day . Because the only room left was the family suite, we got charged as a family instead of for just 2 people. When I asked why, the clerk said that was the rate and insinuated that if we don't like it, too bad.
Have stayed here a few times when passing through the area. Rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and always clean. The hotel has all the facilities you need and even provides a nice breakfast you can enjoy before you hit the road. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby and a short hope to the Yrans Canada highway!
Apparently the pool has been out of Order for a month and we had just recently been notified. There is no where for social gathering and the staff were inappropriate when dealing with kids. Apparently you have to whisper when checking into your room at 9 pm quiet time is at 10 which in Woodstock must mean 8. If you don't want kids then don't take our booking. Glenn R Room 326
Overall very clean and comfortable rooms. Very good service. Just wished there were more options for casual dinning instead of the fast food outlets that surround the hotel. Would most likely stay there again.
We had #222(Suite w/ a hot tub). Room was Wonderful; I did need to ask for CLEAN robes, but they were quick to accommodate. Overnight Staff was Wonderful (I don't sleep well at night) Andrea (veteran), Blonde new girl, Chelsea? (training), Renae were absolutely AMAZING to Accommodate my lack of sleep and NEED of exercise; made amenities available during MY time frame(NO TREADMILL; NOT THEIR FAULT BUT I DO FEEL THIS IS A DESIGN FLAW) Staircases work just as well! Breakfast was wonderful with friendly, kind, smiles, and service. We were booked for 2 nights but was having such an Awesomesauce time, added a third night. Definitely will return and Hope to get the same AMAZING SERVICE/ACCOMODATIONS! Rooms are advertised to have a DVD player, but they do not; Plan on “looking” for TV in living room (fireplace), as instructions are not given. Had to ask if advertised DVD player was “hiding” in microwave......Poor Girl had a difficult time understanding I WAS JOKING! She claimed a remodel had recently taken place and all players were removed; I thought this place was fairly new.
We arrived with a group of kids for a basketball tournament to be told the pool was out of order and the only compensation was we could swim for free down the road. The room had food on the floors under the bed and the sheets on the pull out were stained
Typical Best Western Hotel. Clean, spacious and priced reasonably. The only issue was that we chose this hotel for the brand and because it had a pool but the pool was out of order. We were not told the pool was out of order when checking in. Had we known the pool was out of order we would have stayed elsewhere. When I made a comment about the reason we chose this hotel they asked what room we were staying in and gave us a 10‰ off our room. The beds are comfortable and the pillows were great as well. The free breakfast is an added bonus. The food for breakfast was scrambled eggs (which were actually good for mass produced eggs),breakfast sausages, bagels, toast and cereals. You are close to a pile of restaurants and the liquor store and 2 grocery stores are also close by. Staff were friendly and courteous. :-) I would have given it a 3 star review but thanks to the discount, I'm bumping my review to 4 stars. Had the pool been operational I would have given a 5 star review.
Average hotel with no place for the guest to gather, relax and have a drink. Breakfast is average. Location is good but no restaurant or room service. Clean and nice staff. Can not comment on pool or fitness area as I did not try them
This hotel is well run with excellent facilities. It is recently built and the management s excellent. The rooms are fairly priced as are the upgrades. It does not oversell itself but all the amenities are there one would require. Franchise restaurants nearby
The staff at this Best Western were very helpful on a late evening check in. The hotel was spotless and the breakfast hot. Would recommend this Best Western to other travellers. The location is just off the highway and easy to find.
Nice location with easy access to the Trans Canada Hwy. Very centrally located to shopping, fast food, and service stations. Was there for a family friend's wedding and has a nice sized conference/ball room
The hotel looks relatively new, my room was spacious and the bed is comfy. The highlight was the nice breakfast, great variety and always replenished and cared for by a nice lady with a big smile. Definitely recommended to anyone who's visiting Woodstock.
After we had gotten everything unpacked in our room, we noticed two things: there was a disgusting stain on one of the beds, and there was a dead fly in the same bed. I picked up the phone to call downstairs, but the phone didn't work. I went downstairs and the girl (I think her name was Antoinette?) assigned us a new room immediately and said she was going to send someone up to look at the room. I took a luggage trolley and brought it upstairs, and as we were loading everything on it (in all manner of chaos because we weren't going to repack everything) a young man came in to look at the room. Don't know what his name was. He looked at the stain on the bed and said it "probably" should have been noticed, but didn't seem concerned about the dead fly. He actually said "there's nothing you can do about flies, this just happens". Yikes. I asked how that could happen when the windows don't open, I mean where did the fly come from, and anyway, it's disgusting to find a dead fly in your bed, and it's not what we expect from Best Western. Again, he just shrugged and said there is nothing to be done about flies. Yeah, okay. Also upsetting, we were two women struggling with the trolley (it was heavy!) trying to manoeuvre it out of the room and it would have been really nice if he had at least offered to help. The second room was fine and the stay was fine, but all in all, not the best experience. The next morning before we checked out, the maid was cleaning a room across the hall. She asked if we were leaving and we said "not yet". It was super foggy, so we planned to load up the car and then come back to the room for a bit. We left the "do not disturb" sign on the door and went to pack the car. When we got back upstairs, the door was open, the sign was removed, and there was a towel in the door to keep it open. Clearly she was in a hurry to get started, but I mean it wasn't even 9:00 yet and we hadn't actually left. All in all it was just average.
This hotel is new, very clean, nice room, welcoming, nice breakfast, and very reasonable. We were glad to stay here. The area doesn't have much available coming from the north. Fridge, micro, coffee maker. Newspaper. Convenient to border crossing.
Got a discount on the only room they had left, King Suite, but still more than I wanted to pay but it was getting late. More room than I needed. TV went on the fritz so I went to bed early. Woke up early, no WIFI. Breakfast was not as good as Best Western in Halifax the night before. Most expensive room on our 10 day trip and the least satisfying.
The hotel has very friendly knowledgeable staff. Room is very nicely appointed. Continental breakfast was great, with many choices available. The price was a bit on the high side; but hotel choices in this area are VERY limited
The air conditioner was noisy in our room, and interrupted my sleep. Although there were 2 tries to fix it, they were not successful. We were not offered a different room or a discount at checkout. There seemed to be no acknowledgement of the fact that I could not sleep in the room with the unit on. The staff was friendly, but not effective at dealing with the issue. I have stayed many times in this hotel, with better experiences. Very disappointed!
We had a great stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located to the highway. You can walk to the restaurants and malls. Our room was very lovely. The staff were nice. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice.
Hotel is convientely located next to highway and close to shopping and restaurants and down town. Rooms are very clean and comfortable beds with large bath room and quiet setting. Didnt use the pool but it looked clean etc and had a lovely breakfast with lots of variety and ample seating Overall our check in experience was great with always friendly staff to assist but we did miss the bar downstairs as they are currently in renovation mode and it wasnt available but great stay regardless.
We often travel through Woodstock area traveling from east coast US to Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island and we always make this hotel our midway stop. It is clean, quiet, offers a nice free breakfast and the staff is always friendly. We have stayed here at least once a year over the last 5 years.
This hotel was clean and very appealing check-in area the rooms are clean but not anything fancy the breakfast was nice and the people very friendly. The price was a little high at 198.00 a night for what you get but it was close to all restaurants and groceries plus Tim's.
This hotel was conveniently located, had friendly staff, clean & comfortable rooms. Overall I am happy with the value that I received. Breakfast was included in the price and there are many items to choose from.
We stayed here on our way back to Ontario from a trip to the Maritimes. It was a nice stay with the room being very clean and comfortable. We got a good night's sleep. We didn't hear any noise from the highway until the morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly, including quickly fixing a problem with our room's thermostat. The hotel is very well located, right next to a Walmart. The only two negatives, were a strange sound in the morning coming through the washroom vent. I found it a little annoying. And I was not impressed at all with the breakfast. The waffle maker didn't work properly, and there were no bagels, which are pretty standard. However, the booth seating was nice. We didn't use the pool during our brief stay. I would stay here again if in the area, but only if the rate was lower than what we paid this stay.
My wife and I spent one night at this establishment after a long days drive. The staff was friendly and the property was in excellent condition. The room was clean and comfortable with excellent internet. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of items to choose from and the items were continuously replenished in a timely fashion. All in all and excellent hotel.
We recently travelled from Toronto to PEI for a week of cottage living. we stopped at this hotel on our way to PEI and choose the hotel based on the amenities and favorable ratings/reviews. Bottom line, a good value. Positives 1) clean, comfortable, spacious room 2) comfortable beds 3) wifi worked 4) great pool - a bit small but perfect for us 5) great location - close to highway, restaurants, gas and Walmart 6) friendly and helpful employees 7) breakfast was included - and good I will stay there again
Clean and easy to find. We used this hotel as a jumping off point to see relatives and do a bit of tourism. Local town very pretty and nice walkways around the St John River. Polite and helpful staff a nice change after leaving US east coast.
Easy to get too off of the highway, it has a large parking lot with extra large spaces if you're pulling a trailer. Check-in was a little slow but I think I just got there at a bad time. Room was very spacious and modern and the beds were very comfortable. While the location is somewhat remote there were a number of restaurants within walking distance, but all fast food. There was also a Walmart very near by. What stood out here was the breakfast. The breakfast room was beautiful with lots of booths which are great for families. Food was excellent, especially the sausages and the coffee. Quite possibly the best hotel breakfast coffee that I've ever had.
Good hotel. Rooms were very damp that we had to switch rooms from the main floor to 3rd and still felt damp. A little unsafe as all back doors were unlocked all times of days and nights. Not enough general sitting area to socialize as group. Cable wasn't very good seemed basic. Seemed very dark around building at night. Lots of parking around entire building. Complimentary breakfast was good for a hot breakfast and always had food being replenished. Most of staff fairly friendly.
Stayed at this hotel for a wedding. We needed an early check in and our room wasn't ready on arrival. They worked quickly and our clean room was ready within 20 mins. We also had a late check out. Kind and friend staff, clean room, gym was great. Would recommend and would stay again.
Very friendly staff and clean hotel. The room were up to date and looked well taken care of. The check in and out process was smooth and the staff were very friendly. My family and I would definitely stay at this location again.
This is our hotel of choice for an overnight stop on our yearly trip to Nova Scotia. Very clean, friendly and efficient check-in, great breakfast, nicely appointed rooms, easy access off highway. I have stayed numerous times and have always found the the staff to be very responsive, friendly and professional.
Pet friendly, great condition of furniture, etc. Clean. Covered Hut out back for smokers or for dads to have a beer when kids go down... Staff were very friendly and fast. Walking distance to pizza, pita pit, alcohol store. Close to Highway.
I don't often write a negative review but I was very annoyed at my experience at this hotel. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but other than that it fell short. The breakfast was basic, the wifi incredibly slow and the front desk staff not very friendly. When told the rate was $199.00 we weren't told that we qualified for a senior discount or CAA. We discovered that fact later on when checking on line. They did adjust the rate when we brought it to their attention but when checking my credit card found the original charge had been processed. All in all a very unpleasant experience.
Wish we had checked in earlier, we found this place mid evening on the last leg of our journey home. We stayed in one of the suites on the first floor. Spacious, well appointed and a very comfortable bed is just what we needed! Jacuzzi fantastic, oh and the beer delivery was welcome surprise. A bucket of 5 ice cold beers for $20 well who could ask for anything more. Fantastic experience!!!
The room smelled of mood and the loud air conditioner left the rug soaking wet. The non baffled ventilation vents carry all the talk, tv noise from other rooms and hallways. Poorly built, thumping in from upstairs rooms. If liked the way rooms were poorly built in the 90's this is your place. Not a good value for the money at all. We will find some where else for the return trip. I worried about getting sick from the wet mold.
I booked a room here about three months in advance of my trip with my grandsons the hotel was right off the highway a good place to stop let the boys have a swim sleep and get going the hotel was booked travel buses stopping on their route the room was right beside the mechanical room we heard dripping all night this room should be used for storage not guest in the morning at checkout I complained about the noise and told the clerk they know this room is noisy and should be embarrassed to put guest in it room 112 keep away i have stayed at my last best western hotel
Stopped here on route to PEI from Ontario. Hotel was clean. Room was good. I could hear a bit of highway noise but nothing to worry about. Possibly the BEST included breakfast I've ever had and I've had many. If you're in the area I'd recommend it.
Just off highway but quiet rooms. Close to shops and restaurants. Staff very efficient, even forward booking more accomodation for us. Breakfast very good, both hot and cold. Indoor heated pool was excellent. Plenty of parking. Good stopover between Prince Edward Island and Quebec. Beds and pillows very comfortable. Towels soft and fluffy. Room clean. Even has recycling tub in the room - good to see environmentally conscientious.
This facility is probable the NICEST BEST WESTERN Hotel we have EVER stayed at - almost ever. The hotel was well maintained and offered a sumptious breakfast. Convenient in every was with a Very Pleasant Staff ! ! !
We visited friends in the area and it was a neat place to stay The breakfast was super - nice variety the four days we were there Neat little seat by the window and the room was clean and appealing We hope to come again!
Stayed here on our way back from PEI and visiting Hopewell NB, rooms were clean and staff was very helpful in recommending where to eat. Was under renovation to add or change the lounge making a coffee bistro. Breakfast was satisfactory.
I was not happy about false advertising that it contains a lounge to relax for a drink. They are renovating and removed the lounge but didn't change their ad. Also the coffee machine did not work either. Would never stay there again.
Fairly new ,clean and comfortable. Easy to reach from the trans Canada highway. Good breakfast in pleasant breakfast room with a helpful and cheerful employee on hand keeping the items refilled. No complaints.
Facility is very fresh and staff well versed. Great experience. Nothing else we could of asked for. Clean room, quick and easy check-in and out. Communications worked as we wanted/needed. Thank you Antoinette for your excellent service.
Stayed at this hotel last year when in area and found it a good value and comfortable place to stay with excellent service and breakfast selections. This time around the hotel was still quite comfortable but the service was lacking. Also breakfast selections were probably the worst I have ever encountered. We may have to consider another property next time we are in the area.
The room was spacious, clean, and with contemporary décor. There was a lap desk on my bed which was a very nice surprise. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great. I would definitely stay again!
Clean, comfortable hotel with pool, fitness center, free wi-fi & free breakfast. Staff was very helpful. Convenient location off the Trans-Canada highway. Pretty area, with local restaurants on the river, only a 5 minute drive from the hotel.
Great Hotel. Wonderful for families or a single person. Great staff and super rooms. Has everything you need. They helped me with my luggage-in and out. Helped me with my computer set-up, got to relax and enjoy my trip.
Great location when travelling on the Trans Canada - great spot to pull in, unwind, get some rest. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Some reno work taking place at the hotel so imagine it will only be better once that is complete. (reno work is well contained & clean). Good hot or cold breakfast in the morning and the coffee was good too. Very friendly staff. Now I know why this place is always booked in the summer!
We stayed at the Best Western in Woodstock for 1 night on our way to Montreal. It was around midnight when we got there and the staff was wonderful. It was s very quick check-in and check-out, the lady at the desk was wonderful, very pleasant and informed us of everything we needed to know (including wifi passwords) the rooms were beautiful!
Great hotel the staff was great and the hotel was clean. They are under construction but that area seemed to be clean and the noise did not start until around 9 am. My daughter loved the breakfast as they had waffels. The wifi was great and everyone got connected. The bed and pillows are very comfortable.
We stayed for one night in a queen suite. Enjoyed our stay. Suite had a microwave, large leather sofa and small mini fridge and a separate bedroom area. Breakfast in the morning was included and had a good variety to choose from including a waffle maker. Check-in and checkout was quick and front desk people were always friendly. They even had fresh baked cookies in the lobby in the early evening and coffee was available in the lobby as well.
They had a variety of gluten free items available upon request, plus there are other items safe to eat such as the fruit and yogurt. I had the ham and eggs as well, they were fine. I had one of the rooms with a separate door for the bedroom. This was fantastic as I had the best sleep as I have ever had in a hotel. Bed was comfortable as well. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone travelling in the area.
The front desk person was awesome and overall the hotel was clean. The reason for the average review was the result of hair in the bed when we turned down the sheets. Not just one, but several. We believe it was clean based on close inspection of everything and the smell of bleach, but the thought is hard to get out of your head once you see it, especially if you are germ conscious. Not sure why the cleaning staff didn't notice when they were making the bed. Seems like the first step of quality assurance was missed. We will likely try it again, but notify the front desk if we have a similar experience next time.
The hotel is close to the highway and front desk was very helpful checking in and recommending restaurants. The rooms are modern and efficient. - The breakfast room was bright and the free selection was much above average.
Warm welcome. Check in was quick and efficient. Pleasant staff who were quick to offer advise on restaurants and delivery as there is no restaurant on site. Rooms were clean. Booked to stay there again.
This just happened to be where we needed to stop en route to Nova Scotia. It is convenient to an exit into Woodstock and just a minute off the highway. The building appears to be quite new and in excellent condition. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. Breakfast is included and was one of the best - lots of hot and cold choices and friendly service. It's not the cheapest place on the map but you certainly get what you pay for. There are a couple of nearby restaurants within walking distance and more in the downtown area if you don't mind a short drive. Nothing to complain about!
Was driving during winter bomb was trying to get to Fredericton, NB; but had to stop in Woodstock, NB due to degrading weather conditions. Was lucky, rooms were still available. Unfortunately all restaurants were closed due to weather conditions; so I had a sandwich which I got from the gas station.
Everything was great. Well kept property with friendly, professional staff. All areas were clean and well kept. Warm cookies in lobby late afternoon. Coffee & paper anytime. Staff at front desk and at breakfast were very pleasant.
Christmas Day snow blizzard so stopped in. Friendly check in and good rate. Room was very clean and comfortable. Nice large flat screen with multiple channel selections. Upon leaving after huge snowstorm staff were out with shovels helping people into their cars ad brushing snow off cars. Nice touch. I have stayed here a few times and always had great service.
This hotel was very clean, lobby very appealing and decorated nice for Christmas. Staff was friendly and approachable. Breakfast was delicious with a lot of variety to suit anyone's needs. Check in was quick and friendly.
As alwasy best western is a great hotel to stay at. They are always clean, the beds are comfy and the staff is friendly and they always have a great breakfast. I would definitely stay here again. It is close to everything.
Everything was great, the rooms where clean, the employees where very nice the only thing is if you stay longer than a week the breakfast could get boring. they even have an indoor pool and a gym. All you need for a lunch is also very near
First hotel booked was a nightmare. I quickly cancelled and booked the Best Western within minutes. Friendly, attentive staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Great Breakfast. I will definitely stay here on my next family visit!
Clean Room, very pleased with our stay. Rooms are nice and well equipped. Easy access from TCH, and near the Shops. This is our 3rd time staying at this hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Will stay again.
The room were very clean, the hotel is well kept and newer. The breakfast is better than what most places get you. The staff are very helpful and easy to approach. Even the cleaning staff say hi and ask me how my day is going.
very nice hotel. did however found the room was not thoroughly cleaned, but not bad.. had everything we needed though, the breakfast workers went out of there way to make a breakfast for my son of whom has an allergy to milk.. will use this facility again.
MMMMMMM Cookies!! and the hotel was very clean and quiet! good check in experience. tasty breakfast! decent coffee. plenty of parking. and centrally located in Woodstock. Very close to food and fuel for your trip
Friendly Service, Clean Room, Comfortable Beds. Would definitely stay here again. Hotel is located right off the highway, close to restaurants and close to the exit to the Maine Border. Pool was too cold to use 68 degrees.
Really a great place to stay. My friend and I had had a rough day after having an accident on our way home to Halifax from Bangor, Maine and we were treated with great compassion. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The hotel was conveniently located and the property was clean and the staff welcoming after a long day on the road. Restaurants and other conveniences are close by. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this property.
First time at this location. It is very easy to get to from the highway and easy to get downtown. This is a nice hotel the staff are very pleasant and want to please. One note, if you need or want a microwave in your room make sure you ask when making your reservation. Not all rooms have microwave and there is an extra charge to add one to your room. The breakfast is standard free breakfast style. The eating area has a dinner feel which was a nice change.
Received Very Good Price by calling direct to the Hotel. Location very close to TC Highway and not far from downtown Woodstock. Friendly staff and easy check in Great Hot Breakfast . Missed having a Bar and or restaurant on site.on site
will look for a hotel with higher internet speed. didn't like the service offered to fix my issue with the internet and the speed of it, I was getting as low at 0.25mbs and the best i got was 3.2 mbs when i'm used to getting over 200mbs. I would have been satisfied with 40 to 50 mbs.
on a foliage tour including the Heartland covered bridge. This was the best hotel on the west scenic drive in New Brunswick. But it is hidden up a side road off the Canadian route 2 away from downtown Woodstock. It took us several U-turns to finally pin down the address. It looked like new construction outside with little landscaping effort. The spacious front lobby also looked like new although 7-9 years old. The front office staff were cheerful and eager to help us find everything including dining. Our room had space and queen size beds. The towels and linens were crisp and fresh The shower encouraged its use with safety bars and adequate space to turn around, The complimentary breakfast had hot and cold foods and ample choices Coffe was good and strong and available 24X7 This was a nice choice to be near the highway but 2 miles from Woodstock the town.
good place to stay but costly nice staff rooms where clean internet could be a bit faster for down loading files you mite need wile you are on the road. Only big problem was they dont offer the price of a down graded room when there are none left so when they have none left it will cost you a bit like all most 200 a night rooms are nice but not worth 200 a night at all as i have stayed at hotels that where around that same price but you got a lot more like night and day difference so dont get the upgraded rooms!
The breakfast only had one meat option, greasy breakfast sausages. Ham or bacon would have been better. We had 2 Queen beds, but only 1 night stand between the beds. We had to place a chair beside the bed for water. Not a huge inconvenience, but would be nice to have night stands on both sides of the bed. Overall, we love the hotel and the staff. We will be back!
Good location right off the highway, very clean, quiet, area for dogs to go out. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Kids enjoyed the breakfast and the comfort of the suite. Totally recommend this hotel!
Did not expect the dining service area to be as comfortable and clean as it was. Breakfast was one of the best i have ever had in a hotel were breakfast is included. From the front of the house staff to the back of the house, everyone was very friendly and ready to serve. The hotel was extremely clean. Highly recommend this hotel
We had a good nights sleep at this hotel. Rooms were roomy, comfortable, a little plain. Could have used a few pictures on the walls. Nice full breakfast in the morning. Might have used the pool but there were a lot of screaming kids so decided vs a swim. Noticed after getting back home that I was charged twice for the room on my MasterCard. Two different amounts, I talked to a Rebecca last night and they are supposed to be fixing it.
Great location to stop on long road trips convenient to St. John ferry Quiet resting spot after long drives. Good free nutritious breakfast. Lots of interesting attractions nearby and helpful front desk.staff knowledgeable about travel and services in NEW Brunswick.
Great Hotel, very friendly staff. Exterior of building was in exceptional condition. Interior was clean and modern. Very friendly helpful staff at front desk. Room was amazing. I had a suite and enjoyed every facet of it.
Great stay with my new husband! Beautiful room, great complementary products, very clean and comfortable. The tub was a great start to our first morning as husband and wife. Bed was so comfortable. Plenty of options in the room for coffee/tea. I wish breakfast went later as we were late getting up after our wedding night.
The Best Western in Woodstock NB is a quality place to stay. We were aware of the Hotel, but had never stayed there. This time we did and we were very satisfied with the accommodations and breakfast. The staff were friendly and accommodating.
Hotel was very convenient to the highway. Quick check in and out. Room was a very nice size and I love having the couch to sit on - not just a desk chair or the bed! Breakfast was fabulous - try the cinnamon rolls! Wished there was bacon in addition to sausage which I'm not a fan of... but that's a small thing. Internet was slow / hard to connect to but I had the room at the end of the hall so I was likely the furthest from the connection point. Not a huge deal as I wasn't streaming tv, etc. but checking email / social media only. Will stay at a BW Plus again.
I stayed four nights for business. The room was good, the staff was professional and great as always. I hoped for a microwave in the room because I don't like eating out for every meal and had made some healthy meals at home to take with me. The mini-fridge froze everything and I couldn't find a way to adjust the temperature. One day I used the microwave in the little staff area behind the front desk but felt like I was imposing. I'd suggest having a microwave available for guests to use in a common area. Other than that one issue, the stay was very pleasant and I would recommend staying there.
We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus Hotel in Woodstock NB and, as always, we're very pleased! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The breakfast is nutritious and very well presented. All in all, a great place to stay!
This is a great hotel. We use it every time that we travel that way. Service is good, Hotel is great. The hospitality is next to none. There is not a better spot to stay at in the area. This was our 4th time and we will be back.
Check in is always a pleasure. Staff is always so friendly, they make me feel at home. Rooms are clean, decor up to date. Breakfast buffet is the best. Easy on and off the highway. This property is top notch, in my opinion.
This is great hotel. Very clean, amazingly helpful and friendly staff and very conveniently located. The free breakfast is ok, but fits the bill and there's enough variety. Room are spacious and have luxuries like mini fridges and microwaves. A great stay all around.
This is an ok hotel. It books up very fast and because if this the price is very very expensive. Parking is easy and the location is nice because it's right off the highway. This hotel in this area is the best only by default. Because there is no competition.
This was our second visit to the hotel. It is clean and the staff helpful. I will return next time I am passing through N.S. The hotel was quiet despite being right in the highway. I found it a good value too.
A great night stay - superior bed, wonderful breakfast, exceptional customer service. Would stay again(and again) and highly recommend this property for anyone looking for an affordable night stay in a premier property.
Nice hotel, well kept and clean. Advertised lounge, but was closed for the season. Restaurants in walking distance. Front desk provided a list of restaurants in the area and directions if driving. Would stay there again.
The rooms are spacious, great breakfast area, a nice pool, easy on off the highway. we highly recommend it. The ease of booking the hotel with the internet was great as well. We had a good recommendation for dinner from the staff.
After a long day on the road we decided to stay at a better hotel for a night. My wife's back has been really bothering her on this trip so when we arrived she heated up heating pad and fell asleep on the bed. About 15 minutes later our room door was opened by a man who had been given a key card to our room. It woke her up which upset me but if we had been out of our room - he had access to all our bags. So much for security! I called the manager who was extremely apologetic but the damage is already done. In all honesty - even going out to dinner now makes me wonder if someone else could enter our room while we are out. I expected more from Best Western.
Needed to find a hotel near the NB border for GOES enrollment. This place was awesome! Great location, great amenities, price just right and the staff was excellent! Nearby Woodstock was quaint and had 3 or 4 choices for dinner in cute little restaurants.
Definitely a great hotel choice to stay at. Fantastic hot breakfast, friendly staff and clean rooms. Very good experience with this hotel and staff. Close to fast food, local restaurants, grocery store for any light snacks you may need for your stay and travels.
Room was very clean, quiet and comfy. Staff was welcoming and professional. Breakfast had a good variety, decent coffee, nice selection of fresh fruit and yogurt. Popular spot that fills up quickly right off the hwy.
We were well greated and welcome at the Front Desk. Givine directions to our room and once up their we were had issues to get into Room. Our keys wasen't working properly, Seing ths the house keeper passing through went out of her way to get the probleme resolved got us in with her own key, and got our reactivated promply got back to us no more then 5 min I will highly recommende to friends and Family I work in Customer Service myself In a retail Furniture store and this is the guest experience that we want for our own.
Overall was a good experience with clean rooms and great location for food and business travel. Free breakfast was very well done and super attentive staff. Definitely plan to stay there if traveling in the area again.
Excellent quality. Friendly staff. Quality service. I have stayed at this property two or three times in the past and am always impressed with the quality of the product. I find it to be a little expensive for the location.
My family stayed here as a stop over when heading to quebec city. Its a nice hotel and the staff are nice. We found the hotel room doors did not block hallway sound that much...but it was also a busy time due to a baseball tournament in the area. It would be great if they renovated the hotel pool in the future, it could use it. Super comfy beds though and great internet.
Our baseball team attended a tournament in Woodstock this past weekend and it was a great stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean. The hotel is close to the ball field, rink, restaurants, grocery stores, drug stores and Walmart.
Excellent hotel. The hotel was Clean and the staff were polite, courteous and professional. Easy on /easy off location. Eating areas close by as well as shopping. Gas stations at intersection. Perfect for short or long visits.
This is a very convenient and pleasant hotel for a stop on a trip across New Brunswick. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the personnel uniformly pleasant and helpful. The decor is very plain, even a little severe, but the pool is very pleasant. Woodstock has a pretty location, and I recommend dinner on the deck at The River restaurant, with a view over the water.
We have stayed at many of the properties in Woodstock and the surrounding area during our stays over the years. The Best Western Plus was by far the best experience. Best was super comfortable and the breakfast was great.
Excellent facilities and location Friendly and efficient staff very clean and comfortable rooms Reception staff member remembered me from my last visit in June, which was nice. Great business facilities And the on tap coffee is much appreciated
I find BW hotels offer a consistent service you can count on for, professionalism, comfort and an overall very good stay experience. This makes travel on the road much easier. Staff are warm and welcoming and very helpful is needed. The morning breakfast is a great way to get the day started. The food is well prepared, easy to get to, and more that sufficient. The business services offered really help when working on the road. The comfort of the bed and the room is always consistent and relaxing which is great for a relaxing night and helps prepare you for the next day. BW is a terrific place to stay.
I very much enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. All of the staff were amazing and the bed was probably the comfiest bed I have ever slept in! The breakfast was a little lackluster but the rest provided an overall lovely experience!
Location They have gluten free - bread :) Made me eggs with no milk Fresh fruit Don't clean room unless you ask for them to clean your room :( ( should be cheaper if they don't clean room ) Free parking
One of the most clean hotel I have been so far. I recommend. Only downside, they do not enforce pool policies ( no running, no rough play, no diving, etc..) They let unsupervised kids go wild in the pool section of the hotel.
We stopped for the evening in July 2017. The front desk staff was welcoming and efficient. The room was immaculate. All was superb, except for one continuing problem. The scrambled eggs at breakfast were again rubbery. If one likes baked beans, they can be added to the eggs to make them palatable. Not sure what the problem is. Other BW properties serve good eggs ...
This a very nice and well kept hotel . The rooms are large and very clean. Good wi-fi and A/C . The breakfast is above average and is situated in a large area with many tables , you feel like you walked in a restaurant almost.
The staff were friendly, efficient, and helpful and the room was great! Amenities were excellent as well. Great place to stay impromptu. Pool was warm and fun for children, breakfast included and it was yummy options for everyone!
Make sure to stay here whenever I am travelling to Atlantic Canada. Very clean, easy access and extremely friendly staff. Offer discounts to Veterans and very respectable price for an excellent room. Always been two people on counter when I go there. Check in is smooth every time. breakfast was good and the addition of the small bar and sitting area outside is a nice touch. thanks for a great stay!! I will be back.
It is rather generic looking from the outside, but polite knowledgable staff and clean, well-appointed rooms made it worthwhile. The pool was clean and the breakfast made the kids happy, so we were happy. Well done BW.
Great check in experience at this hotel, all smiles and very pleasant welcoming when i first arrived. I was treated like royalty. The outside and inside were spotless and the room was fresh. I do not have any problem recommending this hotel .
A decent option for your overnight stopover. Breakfast and wifi free. In - room Keurig coffee and tea (powdered creamers only). Coffee in the cafeteria not great, although rest of breakfast is good. Kids enjoyed a dip in the pool. Beds and bedding are comfortable (try to get two queens instead of one queen and a pull-out).
The Best Western Plus in Woodstock New Brunswick was a wonderful hotel for our visit with family in the area. We found it to be very comfortable and well-maintained. All staff that we met were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommending this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
This is a nice hotel, right of the highway. Big and clean rooms. Our room had a kind of a “small kitchen”: a sink, a table with some shelves and minifridge under the same countertop. The room also had a microwave and small Keurig machine with a supply of tea and coffee. It was really a nice touch to have a kitchen sink in the room. The only thing I would recommend to add to this kitchenette is a paper towel and some dishwashing liquid, as I have nothing to wipe countertop with after I washed my things. May be at some point some plates and mugs will be added to fill the shelves. It would be nice too. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The hotel also has a swimming pool that is open until 10 p.m., but we were too tired to use it. The breakfast area is very nice and clean and what I really liked it had real plates and cutlery. The room is very spacious and plenty of tables. The breakfast was sufficient. Poached eggs, sausages and the regular stuff as muffins, bread, oatmeal, yogurt, fruits, waffles, juice and coffee. Overall our stay was very good.
We needed a place to stop on our family roadtrip to PEI and this location not only fit our needs, the price was great given that I booked it same day and the service was excellent. Would definitely stay here again :)
Excellent place to stop over. Extremely modern, very clean, great staff. Breakfast is excellent with a large dining area, something lacking in most hotels. Easy on/off the main roads and lots of dining options close by.
Very clean, comfortable hotel. Pet friendly with a pool. I thought it was a good value. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was fine, lots of options from standard bacon and eggs to DIY pancakes and waffles. Had a cat traveling with us, no issues with her at this hotel.
This hotel is quite average and rather basic. Think basic Fairfield Inn in terms of services, facilities and breakfast. The hotel Would benefit from some upgrades. Beds were old, wobbly with uncomfortable worn mattresses. The bathroom and bar area were of decent size. There was nothing special about location but close to fast food and grocery stores.
We had a great visit at the Woodstock Best Western. Staff was friendly (especially Roger the bartender!), rooms were clean & neat. The breakfast was fresh & pleantiful. Very easy highway access, price was fair. Would stay again
Location was convenient and easy to find travelling on the highway. Room was quiet, clean, and nicely furnished. The friendly staff made check in and check out easy. The breakfast was one of the best we've had in a long time.
Bed was amazing, room very clean and the staff are friendly. The cookies on arrival were yummy. Had a great stay whilst in Woodstock for work. Would recommend for anyone wanting comfy accomodation in this area.
Nice looking and clean Hotel. Always nice to stay there. I stay at this hotel every time I have to work in Woodstock area. No bad experience in 8 years travelling and staying in Woodstock. I would recommend this hotel for any body stopping in Woodstock area. really well locate, close to the highway and services. you can't miss this hotel
This is a great hotel to stay when you are in Woodstock. Its close to the highway, great hot breakfast, close to Enterprise Rent A Car (across the street). Staff is very friendly and we got a great rate. They recommended that we try the River restaurant which was delicious.
We were in Woodstock for a wedding and a block of rooms was saved at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice and cool our room was on a hot summer day. It was nice to escape to a very cool room after a warm outdoor wedding. Room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was friendly. Oh, and the complimentary breakfast was very good for a free hotel breakfast. Hot and Cold options and good quality. I would definitely stay here again.
Needed a stop over on a long trip. Happy I chose this hotel. Staff were extremely helpful. Room was a pleasant surprise. Great experience for total stay ending with an excellent breakfast. Highly recommended.
Stayed at this hotel with a friend, for one night. We got two queen size beds. The room was adequate. Beds were comfortable. The indoor pool is very very small, but it was clean and fun anyways. We spent the evening at the bar and Roger, the bar tender was amazing. The breakfast was included and was impressive. Everything and anything one could want for breakfast was there, even the "do-it-yourself-waffles"! The only "bad" thing was the price..... 196$ (tax included) for 2 people for one night! Nothing luxurious.... Ouch!
stayed one night, travelling to Nova Scotia. The hotel was very clean, friendly staff, very comfortable.Easy to locate off the highway, beautiful town, lot's of food options. Town has everything you need.
The Woodstock Best Western is the best hotel in Woodstock. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and nicely furnished. Their breakfast is top notch. The fitness room and pool are well kept. Great hotel for any type of traveler- business, family, or couples.
This is a comfortable hotel that is well located for travelling to and from the eastern provinces. The rooms and beds are clean and well appointed. Bathtubs are deep, which I appreciated. Fresh lemon water n the lobby is appreciated, and they even brought out cookies in the evening. I will likely stay again, since I joined their loyalty program.
good experience and we would go back and stay again. The Woodstock area is pleasant and we need to spend more time there. the hotel was clean and the staff were very friendly. The best Western appears to be the best place to stay in Woodstock.
Excellent stay. The staff are wonderful, they were very polite and helpful and always had a smile on their faces. Our room was clean and beautiful and pleasantly surprised at how quiet it was. The temperature of the pool was a little cool and would need to be a little warmer but it was still very pleasant. The breakfast was good but the hotel announces a hot breakfast but we find that there is not enough hot choices. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely will be going back.
The hotel overall was good and the staff was friendly. however the internet was spotty in my room at least which was a turn off. Also the hotel is still nice enough but in my opinion will soon need updating as it is showing a little wear. Breakfast was ok. This hotel is in a great location and the area is beautiful. I have stayed in best westerns over the world and in my experience this is not a best western PLUS at least not my room.
Spent one night here while en route back to the U.S. from Quebec. Modern, clean facility. Breakfast was okay; we stuck with cereal, toast and fruit as the eggs looked dry,and the sausage greasy. Try not to get a room on the first floor (especially if you want to sleep in) as the breakfast room is at the far end and you have guests walking (and talking) on their way to and from breakfast starting early in the morning.
It's conveniently located near the Trans Canada highway, easy to find, the exit is well marked. Hotel is a 5 hour drive from Halifax, perfect place to stop when getting a late start out of Halifax en route to Montreal. Family of 4, two queen beds, small kitchenette area with sink, microwave, fridge and coffee maker. Beds are comfortable and both the room and property were very clean. Indoor pool open from 6am- 10pm. Nice hot breakfast included, have stayed at this hotel and would stay again.
We love the location close to the highway and to restaurants and shopping during our quick, overnight stays while on road trips. The rooms have always been very clean and in good repair and this is a restful place to stay after a very long day on the road. Also, it is pet friendly which is great for us as on most trips we have our dog with us.
Have stayed at this property multiple times in the past few years. It is consistently top-rated in our book. Very comfortable, very clean and very welcoming. Breaktast is exceptional. We readily recommend this hotel to others.
Nice hotel, It would be a great place to stop over for longer so I wish I would have had a few more days to enjoy it. I wouldn't hesitate to come back with my family and stay a few days. My only complaint was the the blow dryer was put away very dirty.
Great place, clean room, accommodating staff. Bought a new playpen just to accommodate us since they ran out. We used the pool, great and clean. Breakfast had great options. We were quite loud with two children under 3 years old but the rooms seemed private and well insulated. We had a great stay!
This is the best place to stay in the Woodstock area. Clean hotel, friendly staff and convenient location. Experienced no issues at all whenever I have stayed here. Stayed here while on a business trip.
We arrived without a reservation and were pleased how efficient the check in was. We ended up paying more for a suite. The cost of the room seemed high to us but we don't usually travel in peak times. I couldn't find the hairdryer which was in the bedroom closet instead of the bathroom. They couldn't access my club membership so I missed the promotional gift card. The lady at the desk was very helpful.
Very impressed with all the BW plus I've stayed at over past two years. Beautiful room with comfy beds. Nice big well stocked breakfast area in am. Good price for room. Would definitely return. Easy access off the road as well. No cell service in this area which is why my find iPhone app wouldn't work but Wifi worked well.
I am here for a 3 month business visit and have no issues at al with this hotel, it has everything required and the spacious rooms are always well presented. Breakfast is similar to all this type of establishment in the Americas but is good quality and always tasty.
This hotel is beautiful. Rooms are spacious and very clean. This was a two night stay. We had to leave before breakfast started in the am so the clerk on duty had two packed breakfast waiting for us at the front desk in the morning. That was extremely appreciated and it was a very nutritional breakfast. We needed to plug in our boat and could not find an outlet that was working however the on duty person went way beyond the call of duty to find one that was working as he had to test them all. He also had to call someone and was on the phone with that person for long periods of time trying to provide us a good working outlet. After 45 minutes or so we did get one outlet that was working properly, we had an extension cord but needed to borrow one from the hotel to be able to reach the outlet as we wanted the boat parked in front of our hotel window. Very good and friendly service. Very pleased with the service.
One of the nicest units we have ever had at a Best Western Hotel. Would rate it extremely high - an 11 on a scale of 10.!!! All people we encountered were extremely cordial and helpful. Motel was easy to get to we would certainly return if in the area.
I have absolutely no complaints about this facility. The staff were very helpful, the rooms were spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. They even made sure I had everything I needed for my dog. I would never hesitate to stay at a Best Western Plus.
Visit was great, staff helpful, hotel clean and relatively easy to find. No decent restaurants though to have a nice dinner so think you should explore those options as not everyone enjoys fast food services.
Excellent very good hotel and service.very good bed .very good breakfast .very good location.very good atmosphere . If it possible I come back.I will recommend this hotel to mes friends. It is a good place for relaxation .
A nice place to stay with great value. BW isn't trying to be a luxurious hotel, however at this location they are doing their very best in this value-based category. Come give this hotel a try...you won't be disappointed.
We made a last minute decision to book a room while on our long commute back to Canada from the US. We are very glad that we chose BW Woodstock. There were no negatives with our stay.......new hotel, very nice, great staff at front desk and dining area, very clean rooms, quiet a/c / heating unit in the room, and suitable breakfast options. Highly recommended. One of our better experiences!
This is a very nice hotel. Service was great and very clean comfortable room. I would recommend to anyone coming to Woodstock. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.
The staff were so friendly. They knew I was there to judge the local music festival. The festival booked (and paid) the room for me. The staff knew I was bringing my own meals and put a microwave in my room for me..This, to me, was above and beyond. I would definitely stay here again when I'm in the area :)
Friendly service, clean rooms, great beds, lovely breakfast. Arrived without reservation but it was not a problem. Plenty of parking, access to fitness centre and gym. The Internet was fast and dependable. Would definitely stay again
My husband and I stay at many hotels every year and we often use Best Western because most of them are pet-friendly and they are generally clean and comfortable. But this was our first stay at this property and we were extremely impressed with it. I can safely say it is the best-kept, best-managed Best Western I've every stayed at. The appearance of the hotel overall is very appealing, but the best part was our room! It was absolutely immaculate! The bathroom looked like it had never been used before, everything was spotless and shining and in perfect condition. And the mini-fridge even had a box of baking soda in it to keep it fresh. The room decor was very tasteful and appealing and every detail was just right. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bedding was perfect. The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly and both the check-in and check-out process was great. I can't say enough about this place. We will definitely be back.
Nice, clean rooms. Breakfast was nice extra. Hot breakfast even better. Kids enjoyed pool. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Was nice to have fridge, sink, and microwave. And free wifi to keep kids happy also.
Had to spend two nights here...beds very comfortable...need better pillows and definitely need better doors on their bathroom in the handicap room which we had(did not need). the door is a sliding barn style door(does not fit the decor) but is warped and offers no privacy, Also the bathroom needs better lighting..to dim,. Breakfast in am is great...overall nice property
Nice, clean hotel. Staff friendly and they offered me a great rate after I inquired as a travel agent. The fitness room is bigger than most hotels of this size but the equipment is very dated!!! Had a decent cardio workout though......... their breakfast room is nice and open and had a fairly good hot breakfast - better than most hotels! However, the breakfast lady locked the door on my partner when he went to the washroom and couldn't get back in while I was still finishing my breakfast. Rather rude I thought, and why would they be in such a hurry to lock it up??? Were they expecting a tour bus load in??? Not like they were expecting a huge lunch rush!!!
The Staff at the Best Western Plus Woodstock New Brunswick treated us like family. From Front Desk juggling rooms for us to the Breakfast Staff who went above and beyond the call of duty keeping us happy with our breakfast and Gluten Free requests. The rooms are large, modern and very clean. I am a Best Western Diamond Member and you will not be disappointed with this property.
Fantastic, friendly staff in a location just off the highway. No noise which makes a restful sleep. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Fridge, microwave, amazing water pressure. Breakfast is typical of best western plus. I love staying here.
My husband and I go to Woodstock often to visit my family. As a result, we have gotten to know the staff and are always greeted cordially. As well, we have found the hotel to be excellent in every way. The staff, the quality and cleanliness of the rooms, the very generous breakfast buffet cannot be surpassed. We love staying there!
We stayed one night and were in the area for a sports tournament. Room was more spacious than many hotels we've been to in the past year. Very clean and quiet. Room was bright and updated. Would definitely stay there again.
Needed a place to call home for a night while travelling for business. Had stayed here before and always found it clean, inviting and close to the highway. Easy in and easy out, close to most amenities.
Have stayed here a number of times. Rooms are nicely decorated and clean. Breakfast was excellent with numerous selections. You can`t go wrong with this hotel. There is no better place to stay in Woodstock New Brunswick.
the hotel is new, bright and clean. I find it expensive being as there are two hotels in eye sight for much less. Breakfasts was very good. Poached eggs, sausage, beans, toast, waffles, cheese and of course juices and coffee. I am a big breakfast fan and this place filled the bill in that department
Lovely hotel with modern decor and friendly staff. Reasonable price. Comfortable, clean beds. Close to the highway and yet quiet. The breakfast(included in $) was quite good for a typical hotel (get it yourself)kind of breakfast. Bathtub was a fair size. I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again. Very glad we stopped there instead of stopping in Fredericton.
I booked this hotel. Have stayed many times. When we arrived we discovered that the floors in the hallway were bare cement! They had ripped out carpet and left it that way. Boxes littered the hallways! And to add to the disaster, the desk attendant lectured me. "That's what you get when you book on Expedia! We always warn guests against using those sites!" So, uncarpeted hallways littered with boxes are now Expedia's fault. This is a shame. Had been a nice place just on the Canadian side of the Maine border. We've cancelled and are driving to Bangor. Will post pics.
Very nice - in fact the nicest we stayed at in our three week trip. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was quiet. Plenty of parking. Good continental breakfast. Comfortable bed. Will definitely stay again when we visit the Maritimes. The town itself is worth a visit, with a number of historic properties. Convenient stop returning from the Nfld ferry.
Great place to stop if you are heading East or West or down into Maine. It is right off the Trans-Canada Highway. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are bright and the beds are comfortable. Lots of choices for food nearby. It has an excellent breakfast buffet. The food is hot and there is enough variety to keep everyone happy. The breakfast room staff wouldn't even let you empty your tray when you were finished. The took it from you with a smile. I would have given a five star rating, but the air-conditioning/heater unit in the room seemed to be stuck on AC. And although the shower head was one of the best, the tub itself is not made to soak in. And the stopper leaked. Lastly, some rooms are a long way from the elevators. Overall, we will certainly stop there again on our travels.
We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hotel, and especially the breakfast. This FREE added feature MUST be taken into consideration when searching for a place to stay. The Woodstock Best Western Plus is worth visiting, and the breakfast surpasses expectations. Two waffle makers, loads of bagels and breads, perfectly cooked bacon, etc, etc...
I have had occasion to stay at Best Western's Woodstock location for both business and leisure. I have always found it to be a great hotel - the staff are mature, courteous, and friendly, and the amenities are everything I look for; scrupulously clean, spacious, quiet, and close to the places I need to go.
This s a fantastic hotel, the service and staff were outstanding, the breakfast offered many choices, the cost of our stay was very reasonable , I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to my friends.
The BW in Woodstock, NB is a great place to stay for both business and pleasure. I travel to the area for business on a regular basis and always stay here. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff is friendly and helpful and the breakfast is great. Fantastic value!
This is a very good hotel to stay in whether travelling on business or pleasure, alone or with a group! The staff are friendly, helpful and very professional. The rooms are very comfortable and the breakfast is fantastic! I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area and will be back again!
Bed was very comfortable. Shower had very good pressure; soft water; large towels. WiFi and tv were better than average. Keurig coffee maker in room (nice touch). Large self-serve breakfast area with good choices. No restaurant on site, but there was a bar.
We have stayed here in the past and will be returning. As always the staff was pleasant and helpful. The room clean, comfortable and quiet. Great breakfast. The admenidities in the area continue to grow so choosing a spot for supper or late night snack is easy to do within walking distance.
The BW Plus in Woodstock is a clean property with great staff. Check in was very quick with this staff and they were all very friendly and helpful during my stay. This hotel also had a comp breakfast in the morning as well as a gym and pool. Slim pickings in this town as far as hotels but this property will not disappoint as it appears to be maintained fabulously. My room upon check in was immaculate and had a nice leather couch. There was also a fridge, mic and Keurig coffee machine. The cable worked great along with the Wi-Fi. I would recommend this hotel to couples, families, business or leisure travelers. There was a lounge in the lobby that served alcohol and the lobby provided cookies and newspapers everyday.
We recently stayed here for a night as we were in the area for a family function. The hotel is newer, clean and modernly decorated. The room was very nice, beds were a little harder than mine at home but comfortable. The pool is small but nice, the tiles are slippery with the water on them. So use caution when walking in the pool area. The complimentary breakfast is amazing!! Hot, plentiful and delicious. Bacon, eggs, muffins, toast, cheese, yogurt and waffles. Everything except sausages. We will definitely stay there again when we go to Woodstock to visit family. It is about 10 minutes away from the boarder crossing into Houlton, Maine.
best hotel in New Brunswick , I stayed at this location years back and I travel often for my job, I was relocated and did not travel in that area for a long period of time, this hotel is like it was just built, clean I mean very clean, staff are all professional and welcoming . when you travel like I do and stay at hotel you can sure see where you will go back and stay again and this is one of them and got to say that this location is exceptional thanks
We stayed at the Best Western on our way to Fredericton because it is a great location handy to the highway very comfortable rooms and a full breakfast is within the same price. Right from our arrival to our departure the staff was very helpful and professional. They have a swimming pool and a hot tub so you can unwind every amenity is within walking distance
Recently stopped by the Best Western Plus in Woodstock, NB as the finishing part of the first leg of my recent trip to the USA. My first impression of this place was one of surprise. The actual location was just a slight detour off of our planned route but not too far of a detour to be a nuisance. Staff informed me during the tour I received that the hotel was only roughly 10 years old and was one of the first of the locations to receive an update/remodel/renovation. Check in was a breeze. Staff are very friendly and easily approachable. No reasonable request was denied. A tray of fresh home baked cookies are made accessible in the lobby for those with a sweet tooth; Be warned - if you have Teenagers that like to snack on tasty treats that you monitor their intake. My oldest tried to ingest one too many and he paid the price later that night with a tummy ache. We opted to pre select our room prior to check in so everything was ready and waiting to receive us when we got there. Bell-carts are ready on hand to load and cart your belongings to your room. Amber was our contact at the desk and she was amazing. Very professional. Very personable. As I mentioned previously, I had never stayed there before and was unfamiliar where my surroundings. Amber happily escorted me around the main floor showing me where the lounge and bar area was, where the access to the pool area was and also where the new dining area was for breakfast. The breakfast area was excellent. Design elements invoked memories of a retro diner but yet had all the creature comforts one would expect a modern eatery to have. Breakfast was included in the cost of our stay and the hours are posted regularly outside the room. Selections were fresh and always well stocked. The area was kept spotless and cleanup at the end of the meal was quick and easy. The room we were in was very spacious, the beds inviting and comfy. The décor was very relaxing. The bathroom was neat, tidy and the essentials were there in abundance. Fresh towels were hung in an appealing manner that made you feel like you were in a VIP suite. Storage drawers were deep, fridge was spacious but compact while being very quiet. The air conditioning was fast acting and kept the room at a comfortable temperature without being overwhelmingly noisy. Sleep came quickly and no outside noises from the roads or the hallways invaded the interior of my room, making sleep uninterrupted. Check out was just as easy. Parking outside is plentiful HOWEVER in the dark the spaces where you can and cannot park are not well marked. Two cars that came in over night were parked in very close proximity to the receiving door making it difficult for me to manoeuver my car in front of the entrance. Be aware that larger vehicles are going to have to move with care if the same situation befalls your stay. Wife and I both agree that we would stay there again. Kids had fun and got a good nights repose. Prices are fair for what service is offered. Pool is cool, but not uncomfortably cold. Can't wait to go back. Thank you to all the staff that work there for making my family feel so welcome, and not like just another group of customers.
This is a great highway stop. A clean, comfortable hotel with a good breakfast. The WiFi was a bit finicky at first and then was fine. Staff are friendly and helpful. Seems to be mostly fast food nearby but a short drive down to the waterfront has more choices. Definitely will stay here again.
Nice room sizes, very clean rooms, friendly staff, great breakfast (basic but still better then most) and they allowed our 2 dogs to stay with us. Hard to find a place that allows pets. There was a $20 charge per dog but still acceptable to us.
Really nice place. There is a pool that is free. There is a free breakfast in the morning which has a verity of things. The room is really nice. The staff are amazing. We asked where to go for supper that we could bring back and they gave a list of places.
Check in was quick and easy. We arrived on Sunday late afternoon and most stores were closed after 5:00 pm. There are some restaurants nearby but most are fast food. The hotel was conveniently located close to the highway. They have a very good selection for breakfast which is included and a lounge on site with reasonable bar prices.
Clean and comfortable hotel .... breakfast was very good and in a large area with restaurant type seating. Good variety of items, including scrambled eggs, sausage and beans, muffins, waffles, toast, and juice, milk, coffee, cereals. Pool was indoor however it is only a lap pool. Beds were very comfortable. Nice lounge and bar area with happy hour from 5 to 7. There are lots of places to eat but mostly fast food and didn't find any fine dining restaurants. Staff was helpful and accommodated our requests.
On the way to PEI on pleasure. This was a pleasant stop on our route. At the end of a long day this was a little oasis. Staff were helpful in assisting us for a dinner location and welcoming us upon our return. Coffee/tea in the lobby was a nice touch after a long day.
This was the half way point to our destination. The lounge was the perfect spot for relaxing after a long day of driving in stormy weather. The staff was wonderful. The staff was very accommodating with our dietary restrictions.
Stayed one night. The room was very clean and had a decent layout with modem furnishings. Shower had great pressure and had a curved curtain rod so the shower curtain doesn't touch. Close to stores and amenities. Good value. Will book there again for sure.
Wonderful staff. We forgot swimmers for our kids, they gave them to us for free. Breakfast was quiet and wonderful. Beds were very comfortable. Not a very big tub/shower but nice still the same. Very large rooms compared to other places we have stayed.
Clean and modern! Close to a bunch of take out restaurants. Decent breakfast and was included. Pool is small, but nice if a bit cool. No shower at the pool, though. Staff were nice and helpful. Lounge looked quaint. Free coffee in the lobby always. Loved the Keurigs in the rooms!
Stayed here on the way to New Brunswick and on the way home. Room was nice and comfy. Had a fridge too. The pool was nice. Liked the free breakfast it had lots of variety and was very good. You could have cereal, yogurt, waffles, eggs, bacon, toast, fruit and hash browns.
We landed in Woodstock in late July with a reservation at the BW Plus. The front desk staff had our key cards waiting and sent us up to our comfortable room. Nothing fancy, but certainly spotless and tidy. The breakfast is better than continental, but the scrambled eggs at this place amaze us. How can they always be so rubbery?
Close to the end of a long 10 day bike trip, we were rewarded with an upgrade to a King size suite at the Best Western Plus in Woodstock. Huge Jacuzzi tub, large bathroom, kitchenette, king bed, sitting room and even a fireplace ... we were tempted to stay an extra day just to enjoy the room!
This was a stop on our way back home and this Best Western location did not disappoint. The room was very spacious with 2 leather chairs, 2 very comfortable queen beds and desk and chair. The refrigerator was not very cold so we had to bring up our cooler. The breakfast included was great for a continental. Room was clean.
We had booked another room in town that was disgusting. Upon fleeing there we found the Best Western....nice clean rooms, great breakfast and very friendly staff. Very pleased they had a room for us....would definitely recommend.
I always try to stay at Best Westerns because I always know what to expect: good price, friendly helpful staff, breakfast, lounge, pool, convenient location, etc. My second visit to Woodstock NB Best Western. Both times have been excellent.
Very updated hotel for the area. Lobby was small but offered free coffee. Pool on premise but did not use. Free breakfast was better than expected for the area. Located directly off of highway into Canada. Great pit stop if heading to Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island. Plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. Even a Dairy Queen!
I stop there for one night on our way PEI. The room was clean, pool was hot enough. breakfast was ok but not what i'm use to from other BW. It did what it had to do for us and I would return if I need a stop.
We were desperate to find somewhere to stay for the night after a long day of driving from Quebec City. We were lucky to get the last two rooms they had for our family of 6! This is a newer hotel, and it felt clean. For being a chain hotel in a small community, I thought it was a little pricey. However if staying somewhere nicer is more important to you than cost, I see the value.
Most modern and cleanest, best breakfast and breakfast room, very nice staff. Located just off the highway, easy to find. Excellent recommendation for a dinner restaurant. Lots of free parking. Didn't use the pool but it looks very nice.
one of the cleanest rooms in a large chain budget hotel. the whole place is clean and even the tv remote is sanitized between guests. full breakfast spread with quality ingredients. a recommended stop going though NB
We were driving from Halifax to Quebec City, and needed a pet friendly place. After driving through high winds and dust storms we were exhausted. What a lovely place. Clean, convenient. Welcoming. Good breakfast too. Don't just take my word. Our dog loved his dog treats and the green grass for his walks.
The hotel was clean and modern. The room was clean and comfortable. We just needed a place to sleep so didn't make full use of the amenities offered. The breakfast was good. The hotel was easy to find and located near restaurants. The hotel staff were pleasant and efficient.
This hotel provided everything as expected with welcoming staff, easy access from the highway, a large, clean room with plenty of amenities: comfortable beds, ample towels and toiletries, excellent wi-fi, and a generous breakfast. There were plenty of choices including eggs, hot and cold cereal, yoghurt and cheeses, breads and muffins, juices, fruits, coffees and tea. The kids (who were plentiful) were delighted at the waffle maker and happily added whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The attendant was welcoming and efficient and the local paper ready. Enjoyed the assurance of good Best Western service.
On a recent visit back to New Brunswick to visit my son, I booked accommodations at this hotel thinking my stay would only be for a couple of nights. Unexpected events happened and my stay was for two weeks. The front desk staff, cleaning staff, conference manager, front office supervisor and general manager were very accommodating on my extended stay and provided great service. They were able to plan a reception to celebrate my son with very short notice and the food provided was excellent. While I cannot remember all the names, a huge thank you to Trina Jones, Jennifer Thompson, Christie Prosser, Gina McHatten and Kaylee Stewart. Highly recommend this hotel.
Great people. Great room. Reasonable price and very clean. Called while travelling from Ontario. Very accomodating to get me set up. Nice little bar with patio. Pool clean. Very welcoming. Second time I stayed here and will definitely be back.
We stay at Best Westerns when we travel and this one is a good one. The room was new and comfortable, fast WIFI, nice pool. The breakfast was the best one so far! Good selection and LOTS of seating. The staff was friendly and we had dinner from the Pizza Delight from across the road and it was great.
I am in love with this hotel. It is new. Check in was awesome and Jennifer at check i was the best. Thumbs up.hotel is very clean. Swimming pool and gym Room was beautifull. Very big. Very clean. Bed is very comfy. Wireless is fast. Breakfast: hot breakfast. They have everything u need for a hearty meal. Eggs , bacon, waffles fruits, toast, cereals, coffee teas, yogurt, and much more. ONLY ONE THING. THEY ONLY HAVE PORK OPTIONS. THERE ARE MANY PEOPLE THAT DONT EAT ANY PORK PRODUCTS BEING MUSLIM OR JEWISH ETC. SO IF U CAN BRING TURKEY OR CHICKEN THAT WOULD BE AWESOME. ALSO IF U BRING TURKEY SAUSAGE MAKE SURE THE CASING ISNT PORK. EVEN THE BEANS HAD PORK SO I COULDNT EAT IT. Thanks though.
Thanks again to the great front desk staff who helped us through a booking error by Air Miles. Very clean hotel with good hot breakfast. Quiet area near many restaurants and stores. Large parking lot. Easy highway access.
We've now stayed here twice en route to other places and found it fully satisfactory. The rooms are quiet despite proximity to highway, with good beds, good bathrooms, and a good complimentary hot breakfast in the morning. The rooms are a bit small if there are 2 beds, and there is only 1 chair, but it is a good stop at a good price.
Very comfortable beds and bedding, clean and lots of towels and Toileteries. Great water pressure in the shower which is always nice. The breakfast room is lovely, well staffed (they kept things replenished and clean) and had a nice warm breafast as well as cereal, breads, muffins, bagels, juices tea and coffee. All the staff were friendly and did a great job at making us feel welcome.
Staff is always friendly and very helpful. The hotel is a convenient place to when on business trips as it is very close to the highway. I really enjoy my stays here which is why I return to this hotel when traveling up that way.
The Hotel was well located and had a nice pool and great staff. The breakfast was also good. This is standard for the BW Plus type hotels. The rooms have air conditioning and the Hotel is close to the Trans Canada Highway.
Our experience at Best Western was great, and all the employees that served us were very friendly and helpfull. Our room was very clean and pleasant . Loved the breakfast and there was a good variety.
Having just recently stayed at the Best Western Parkway Inn & Conference Centre in Cornwall Ontario where the dog not only stayed free, got a doggy bag with a sheet, towel, treats and a roll of cleanup afterwards bags we must assume that the "Plus" at the Woodstock New Brunswick Best Western is that we paid $25 extra for a lovely greeting at the front desk and a dog biscuit...late night noise in the halls by from we understand were wedding reception guests and the fire (false) alarm going off and having to leave the room around midnight. The breakfast choice (included) wasn't on par with the Days Inn from last night which I would describe as average and fell way short of the marvelous breakfast buffet at the BW in Cornwall. The room was large and clean, did have small counter with a micro wave and fridge, I accept we are traveling with a dog, but I simply can't wrap my mind around the inconsistencies between two hotels of the same hotel chain, in cities of similar size and economic circumstances in two different provinces!
I have lived in this hotel for two weeks and I liked it for the following reasons: new facilities, the bed is comfortable and the breakfast offers lots choices. Staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to have had good hospitality training. No doubt I will choose this hotel again if I travel in this area.
Left a sleepless night at the Best Western in Brossard, Quebec and stayed here at the Best Western in Woodstock NB. what a nice little community , everything you need in walking distance, relaxed atmosphere with no traffic issues in town, hotel located in a good spot with a large parking lot for people pulling trailers, ease of access off the highway, nice bathroom, clean and modern , I am glad we drove an extra hour on our way back to Halifax and stayed in Woodstock. I recommend this Best Western Hotel.
This hotel is by far the best hotel we stay in.Always look forward to staying here on our trips to woodstock.Very pleasant staff and fantasic breakfast. There is always a hot breakfast.Very close to highway, walmart and dining!!
We`ve stayed at this hotel previously and have found it great both times. The location in Carleton County is perfect for touring around. We found the included breakfast very good. Our room was exceptional!
Stayed here on business/family trip and enjoyed the spacious room, pool, and great fitness room (for a hotel). The included breakfast was average, but at least had enough choices to get a healthy start to the morning. Staff was moderately friendly, but stand-offish by times. Would still recommend staying here!
forgot to top up with the much cheaper US gas before crossing the border to Woodstock...$60.00 mistake...Best Western was sweet..quiet, clean ...cost reasonable for Canada..close to restaurants and expensive gas////////
Although there isn't a restaurant, there are plenty of restaurants in the area (fast food with rare exception). Bring your passport (which I didn't) as you are very close to Maine border and can likely get more food selection in Maine. Room was very comfortable and staff was very helpful even when I forgot something in my room they had it waiting for me at the front desk when I returned to pick it up.
I stayed here with my family and puppy. The rooms were very spacious, clean and new. The breakfast area was large with booths... more like a restaurant and it was a good breakfast. We would definitely stay here again.
The town of Woodstock had two sports competitions which had several out-of-towners staying at hotels. I was there for business, and a good nights sleep was important. The children were permitted to run up and down the hallways until well past midnight, and they were using the bar lock on the doors to keep the doors open, so as they ran around the doors banged loudly as bar lock hit the door jam. It was a miserable stay.
We have stayed a few times at Best Western Woodstock, and find the hotel very clean, and the staff wonderful. One complaint - on the evening we stayed over, there were several volleyball teams also there. One suggestion is perhaps not to intermingle these teams with any guest trying to get a nights sleep. We had a very noisy crew next door in an adjoining room, and font at 12.30 after three attempts at asking them to quiet down, they finally settled. We were both exhausted after having gone through a traumatic time with illness, and this was so frustrating for us. Why is it when these teams check in to a hotel room, they feel it is party time, and have no consideration of anyone else in the immediate vicinity. We know of a hotel in Nova Scotia, that has a sign posted for any team - and that is after the warning to not run the always, make noise in the rooms etc. they will be asked to leave with no refund. It would be nice if all hotels adopted this policy and then perhaps the team leaders would be more exercised to keep control. As for the hotel itself, we love it, and will stay again, although likely never again on a Saturday evening.
Had a horrible experiance with another hotel arrived to Jeanie at desk who was more then wonderful. I was almost in tears from what happened at other hotel and she reassured us that everything was okay and our stay would be better here and it was 200%. Gave us a great suite. Very clean comfortable and we'll maintained. Staff was amazing. Breakfast was delicious even the breakfast lady went out of her way to help us. Never had a better experiance at a hotel. Great job Best Western
This is the place to stay when in Woodstock. Friendly, helpful staff, a great breakfast, a swimming pool and a room with a comfortable bed - everything you want! The rest is nearby. We would definitely stay here again.
The rooms were tastefully appointed and very comfortable beds. The room was very quiet, however we were 75 yards from the elevator. Perhaps have the main entrance in the middle of the building instead of one end.
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Rooms spacious, nice, bright and even free movies available! Close to most everything, shopping and lots of restaurants. Free breakfast are nice, lots of option. Did use pool on this trip to do laps ( small but still got in 15 minutes on my own)
The Best Western Plus was full with basketball and hockey teams. Even though they were very busy the staff took time with us to make us feel important, they were very polite. The rooms were very clean. This stay included a hot brunch which was great. One of the things I like about this hotel they have a 10:00 curfew and the staff enforced it so even with the hotel being full of sports teams had a great sleep.
Room was clean and spacious the bathroom was lovely big bathtub breakfast was great best we've had in any hotel we've stayed at and the staff were very friendly, we'll be back with our swimsuits next time!
Welcoming reception, clean rooms, comfortable beds, more than adequate work out facility and indoor pool, hearty free breakfast (eggs/sausage, toast/muffins, cereals/oatmeal, fruit, yoghurt, waffles) in a bright, clean room. Might want to consider a room on the 3rd (top) floor to minimize noise and be away from the traffic on the 1st floor to/from the exits or breakfast room. 30-seconds of the Trans-Canada and only a 4-5 min drive to Main St. Lots of grocery store and fast food options nearby but make the trek into town to Walter's Table or the Creek Village Cafe.
Great overnight stay in a large comfortable room. Great complimentary hot breakfast in the morning! Comfy beds and pillows. Friendly check-in staff. Several fast food chain restaurants in the immediate area, as well as a grocery store.
We rented one of the executive suites for our anniversary. The room was great, with fireplace, whirlpool tub, and refrigerator. Also, had large 50 inch tv, with blueray player, and a list of 250+ movies that were available for free at front desk. Recommend to anyone wanting to get away....
This past summer we went to visit friends in Woodstock and we stayed 4 days. THE rooms were cleaned, Breakfast was good with a very nice selection. Very accessible to THE Highway . Would definitely stay here again. Staff very friendly and anything you needed they were very accomodating.
Just spent the night her and it was great! Just off the highway so convenient to get to and close to several restaurants. Clean rooms and very friendly staff. Stayed in room 320 which is a two room suite, very nice and only $165.00! A very good deal.
I unexpectedly stopped here one night because of the icy weather. The room, though expensive, was quite comfortable and I got a good sleep. It was also quite clean. The receptionist got on my nerves because she was asking for personal information (email, phone number, street address, etc.), which I do not provide and at 11 pm, I just wanted my room and a shower. I think a credit card should suffice. I had to tell her politely three times that I do not give out my contact information. These questions come up all the time, I know, but it is usually "Would you like to give us your contact information to be signed up for a membership card, which is free?", not "Phone number?" then icy stare. Times three.
Very nice Hotel Clean, well kept and good service. Breakfast was great with a very good selection. bed was very comfortable and offered a good night sleep Will definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone.
Whenever I am passing through for work I stay here, the rooms are spotless, the staff is awesome, I've stayed in lots of Best Westerns, this is one of the best, you can tell the management takes pride in their hotel and this is passed on through their employees.
We had a spacious king room in this fairly new and very well appointed hotel. The room was well designed, and comfortable. Service was excellent. Complimentary full breakfast was served from 6-10 AM in a spacious breakfast room at the back of the hotel. The staff was very friendly. Hot water for tea, fruit and snacks, and hot coffee are always available in the lobby, which is nice. The free Wi-Fi was strong and consistent. We would definitely return here.
This is a good option to stay in Woodstock NB. It has good amenities, pool, bar, the breakfast is good. The personnel provides good service, and is always available to help. Rooms are clean and comfortable.
A very comfortable and pleasant stay. Nice hot breakfast. Bed was very comfortable with white duvet bedding. Pleasant staff. More upscale than some Best Westerns so it was a pleasant surprise. Would stay again. Construction on highway made it difficult to find access although hotel emailed a route map in advance of stay.
Stopped at this Best Western for one night on the way back from our 3 week East Coast Trip. Found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable and the staff terrific. They recommended the River Restaurant for dinner and it did not disappoint. We would recommend this hotel when travelling to New Brunswick.
This was a stop on our east coast road trip and it was the best hotel we stayed at. Great room, great shower and had a nice little breakfast room too. It was fairly close to a few of the attractions we going too and was right off the main highway and had a Walmart near by to allow us to stretch our legs and do some shopping!! Enjoyed our stay and would go back again next time!!
We were on our way to Nova Scotia from N.H. and Woodstock was about half way and right off the highway so decide to stop for the night . Reviews were good for Best Western Plus so stopped there.Glad we did the place was spotless the employees were friendly and helpful and the beds were very comfortable. Would have given five stars but the breakfast wasn't very good.
while on a motorcycle trip, this place was recommended by a gentleman that drove this route often. he was right! The friend welcome to the very clean, and modern rooms was a nice surprise. All the amenities, closeness to restaurants etc was what we needed. Thank you to the staff during our stay. Perfect!
You won't find it here! We travelled many hours to get to this hotel on our way to Nova Scotia. Our desire was to find a nice place to stay that had a restaurant and bar. After checking in we were told the restaurant was no longer in service and the bar wasn't open on Sunday. The front desk staff was very accommodating and delivered dishes, flatware and glasses to use with our Chinese take out. The hotel, overall, was wonderful! I just wish the company had updated their website for this location stating there was no more restaurant and the hours for the bar. Peggykin, Glens Falls, NY
I do a Show for one of my Dealers in Woodstock every year. It is always a pleasure to stay at the Woodstock Best Western - know that I am getting a great room - good breakfast and pleasent helpfull staff. Great time of year in Woodstock with the leaves turning colour Look forward to returning next fall
We really enjoyed our stay here. Jennifer went out of her way to make us feel welcome. She was full of great suggestions for things to see and favorite places to eat. Situated just outside a small town, we arrived on a Sunday for crossing the border in the morning. EVERYTHING was closed down except for a drugstore and one non fast food restaurant. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. Breakfast was great with some not so standard foods. Free WiFi, hot cookies, nice outdoor seating area and small lounge area was pleasing.
Hotel is clean, modern and the staff is friendly and professional. The included breakfast is provided in a nice area with lots of variety of hot and cold foods. Would definitely recommend this hotel if in the Woodstock area. There is no dining room, however, there are several restaurants and fast food outlets within walking distance.
This was our second stay at this location in the past year. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and functional. The mattress was firm, not a soft mushy one; had a wonderful sleep. Only negative issue was sound traveled through the venting ducts - we had a noisy family near us, screaming/yelling children - could not hear noise in the bedroom; however, it was quite noticeable in the bath to the point you could understand the conversation.
Spent a night at the BW on our way to Nova Scotia --- very nice hotel & friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable bed and nice room. They recommended The Deck (aka O-Cory's, Unicorn) for dinner -- we had a nice dinner out on the patio. Chef Salad, Fish n Chips, Barking Squirrel lager --- everything was good.
Very nice hotel, pretty much brand new. Great service with even better rooms. Everything was spotless. Nice pool with slide. Great breakfast with make your own waffle maker, unlike a lot of hotel's that have switched to a pancake machine. Reasonably priced, would recommend to others and stay there again myself.
Stayed here for one night on our way to the east coast. Hotel was very clean, large room with very large bathroom. Nicely furnished, with very comfortable bed. Very quiet night. The front desk staff were courteous but not exactly friendly or enthusiastic, she seems like she did not want to be there. Had the usual breakfast offerings in a large clean dining room. There was a nice looking indoor pool but we arrived too late to try it. Would definitely stay here again. A good location with easy access to the highway.
