    « Just fine »

We stayed a couple of nights for a wedding in the area. It was just fine, but nothing special. The breakfast room was filled to overflowing both days we ate there. The room was convenient and clean, but the bed was really soft - almost felt like a water bed. For the Wildwood area, there was not any other choices. If we came back, we would be happy to stay there again.

« It has been better »

I stayed there in the past but it appears that service and upkeep of hotel is slacking. The front desk clerk in the morning was rude and not helpful. Hot tub was broken but they continued to tell people on the phone they had a hot tub.

    « TIME TO REST »

When home to visit family and we needed a place to stay. This was the only hotel close by and we heard that it was nice. The outside was done very nice and looked like no other Best Western we been to. There was a wedding party in the lobby getting ready for there large event and I was told that it is a very popular location for events. Our stay was very nice, the staff was very helpful, our room was clean and ready when we arrived. The morning breakfast selections was great and we found that it filled us up and we hit the road for home. Very nice hotel and we recommend it.

    « Very Clean »

This hotel was very clean and employees were very polite and helpful. I thought the beds were too soft but that's a personal preference, some may like that. Hotel has a nice parking garage and is located in a nice area with some dining and shops in walking distance. I would have given a solid 4 or possible 5 for this hotel but we had some issues with the indoor pool. I believe they hire an outside company to maintain the pool. They need to find someone else to do it.

« Fabulous hotel and staff »

Stayed in a deluxe suite with an additional sitting room. The suite was beautifully decorated, and was extremely comfortable. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Wildwood area.

« Avoid this Hotel if you're looking for Wedding Party accomodations and a friendly staff »

This hotel gives the illusion that its something special but in reality its a sub-par hotel with a fancy name. The staff are not helpful or friendly and are pretty much rude to their guests. I spoke multiple times with an older woman at the front desk - she in particular was most unpleasant to work with with a horrible attitude and snarky responses to questions and an unwillingness to work with the guests. I would not stay at this hotel nor would I recommend any wedding parties using the nearby venue stay in this hotel until the staff have a much better understanding of what it means to be in the hospitality industry.

    « Nice »

Me and my husband stayed for a night I love the place and the location is great not too busy and pretty much close to everything. I will be back here again . Staff was great and helpful. Breakfast area need a little more updating I fell that it was smoosh, but other than that place was great.

« The spa is cold » if you don't care about this amentty, then it's a very acceptable place. Breakfast is delicious. Bed was too soft for me and in our double bed room - I had no room on one side of bed. Crawling out the end of the bed was a pain.

« Great Accommodations & Wonderful Customer Service »

We were at the Wildwood November 2-6, 2016 and had a very good experience. We had rented two rooms, but after having a key for the 2nd room for almost 24 hours, we realized our sister was not going to need it. The hotel neither charged us for the 24 hours we had the key (we had never entered the room) nor did they impose their cancellation policy to charge us for a night. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was great.

« Used condom and terrible customer service »

We checked in on Friday at 11 PM. While I was in the shower, my husband discovered that there was a used condom in the waste basket in the bedroom. Since after a long day of working/traveling, we were exhausted, we just went to bed. At 9 AM Saturday morning, I let the front desk know about the issue in our room. She immediately said "Nobody has been in that room". I made it clear to her that the condom wasn't ours and she finally asked for our room number. Said she would alert housekeeping immediately to have it taken care of. Upon our return to the room at 11:30 AM, the condom was still there. It was clear that nobody had been to our room to take care of it. I went back to the desk to ask again and the same lady I spoke with before was terribly rude. She stated on 2 separate occasions during this conversation that it was somehow OUR fault that the condom was still there. I ended up carrying the wastebasket down to the front desk myself around noon just to get it out of our room. I will NOT be staying here again and will be contacting someone this week to try to remedy our problem.

« Watch our wallet when you stay here »

This is not the same hotel it was 6 or 7 years ago. In the last 2 years we have had 3 dealing with this hotel and all 3 have been disastrous. We live in Wildwood have had need for both their hotel rooms and their banquet facilities. The banquet tried to overcharge me several different ways. Two times I caught it before the event and they had to remove the charges they put on my credit card. The last time there 5 weeks ago was my final dealings with them. I was told my room rate would be $130.50 for a king room. When I got to the hotel I was informed that they no longer had any king rooms left and if i would take a double queen I would only have to pay $89.00 so we took the queen room. I was asked to sign a paper showing this so I did. When we checked out the next day I was charged the $130.50 plus the tax. I questioned them and was shown another paper that I had not signed showing the $130 rate. (i have pictures) I was told by the manager that she would look into it and get back to us. She did call us that afternoon to say she would "take care of it". I checked my credit card on Wednesday and saw another charge of $130 plus was on my card with no credit. I called her and she said she did not know what could have happened but she would take care of it. A few days later ANOTHER charge was on there.. Long story short, it took over 3 weeks to get those charges removed. We kept being told she did not know how this could happen but she was sorry. We travel all over the world and this type business practice does not happen yet it has happened 3 times with them!!!! If they were not the only game in town (only hotel in Wildood) they would have closed after they changed staff several years ago. This hotel now is affiliated with Best Western and it is so obvious. It's not the boutique hotel with the educated, professional, well groomed staff they used to have a few years ago. Now you have a surfaced woman who greets you instead of a welcoming staff..

    « Missing out »

This could be an outstanding cycling destination. There are fantastic roads nearby, hills, countryside, parks, with solid bike lanes. The hotel sits across from a movie theater next to two very good restaurants. There is a nearby Walgreens and an Anytime Fitness nearby. The Wildwood town center is in the same complex. It's all fairly new and the community has had the notion this would be a good vacation spot outside St. Louis. Unfortunately, the hotel doesn't appear to partner with any of them. There aren't a lot of riders on the roads and there are just too many actively aggressive drivers on the attack against cyclists. It's a shame because a lot of money went into an infrastructure. If this hotel attracted more cyclists, it might change the entire dynamic, however! Instead, it has become something of a posh pet hotel! Literally gone to the dogs!

    « UKC dog event »

Excellent. Friendly staff & pet friendly. Very clean & comfortable. Fridge & microwave. Quiet. We will stay there again if we get the chance. Very nice stay! Did not eat breakfast there, but it smelled great!

    « awful night sleep »

The bed was so soft, we spent the whole night rolling into the middle of the bed and into each other. Otherwise, a beautiful hotel. The hotel wouldn't let us check in an hour early , so we had to find a place to dress of an afternoon wedding.

    « WOW - search no more! »

This place is perfect for anyone from tournaments, romantic weekend, quick trip, business trip. I/we spend about 30 weekends a year and this hotel is in the top 10 in this price range (about $100/night)! Breakfast, descent. The room was amazing - King with separate seating area - great, classy decor, great size bathroom and products. Pictures don't do it justice. The softest bed EVER! Why don't more hotels realize the common complaint of beds too hard? Great staff - quick check-in. Ample parking (including a parking garage). Walking distance to great stores, restaurants - safe area.

« The Best of the Best... »

If you want quality, cleanliness, great location, friendly staff that go out of their way to accommodate you in every way, atmosphere, charm, reasonable prices, then you will not want to search any further than the Wildwood Hotel. You will be so satisfied with every aspect of this hotel. From booking to leaving. I just can't say enough about this perfect little paradise. If I could rate them an 11, they would have it. I will always stay here when I need a hotel in St. Louis. Go for a weekend and experiment the most perfect little oasis.

    « Wonderful Surprise »

Found this hotel doing an internet search. I was looking for something a little different than the standard hotel fare. Even though this is listed as a Best Western it is different than the brand that I expected. Stayed here for a night away with my wife. We stayed in a King Jacuzzi room. The room was excellent, the ambiance was wonderful for the retreat we were looking for. Will definitely stay here again when in St Louis.

    « Great Hotel!! »

I was extremely pleased with the Wildwood Hotel. Wonderful, caring staff, good breakfast, beautiful interior and exterior and great location. The beds are a little soft for my taste. I felt like I was sinking, but otherwise I had no complaints at all.

    « Wonderful! »

What a pleasant and satisfying stay. The beds were great, very nice and clean hotel. The complimentary breakfast was amazing with a good variety of hot & cold selections. Already planning to stay at this location again next September! Give this hotel a try, you won't be disappointed!

    « Very pleasant »

My experience at The Wildwood Hotel was great. The staff was attentive and friendly. If we had any questions they were able to help out (even though it was relatively late at night when we checked in). The room was clean and comfortable to be in. The building itself was well maintained and overall the experience was a good one. No real downside to the stay. Definitely would stay again (and plan on staying there again).

« Comfort, kindness and location made for a wonderful stay »

Coming nearby for a funeral we were steared to this hotel, not one we would have found in our search of normal chains. The rooms were nice and comfortable, breakfast plentiful and varied and the staff , especially the night desk clerk, went out of their way to assist us whether with last minute room changes, opening the room for tea at 3 am or simply assisting when they could. The location is great with restaurants within close walking distance as well as a grocery. 2 blocks away for easing our needs. The walking path nearby is also great. Thank you Wildwood.

« The Beds are amazing!!!!! »

I like a soft bed and these beds are amazing. I had a great nights sleep. The room is clean and neat my wife liked the fact that they have bath tubs. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant but there are at least 5 with in walking distance.
