"Don't stay here!!"
Adventurer27_8, 08 Avril 2024

This hotel was awful. We had black mould behind the bathroom door. When we reported it, they moved all of our stuff, without our knowledge. We came back to an empty room and no message of where our stuff was. Also itwas so hot, with no way to turn down the heat. While it is on a transil line, its over 25 minutes to get into the city center. Would not recommend

"Good value place to stay"
SamO215, 31 Mars 2024

Comfortable, basic but very clean hotel In a very good location for jumping on a tram and being in central Vienna in just a few stops. Plentiful and varied breakfast. Need to get rid of some chipped crockery and fix the other coffee machine to avoid queues of people waiting.

"Black Mould on the Wall"
Kevin C, 07 Mars 2024

I woke up in the morning, my wife was in the shower so the barn style sliding door to the bathroom was closed revealing a wall of black mould. I went to reception on our way to a day long tour to show them the photo. They offered to move rooms but we had 4 people waiting for us so I said to try and clean it and we would maybe change rooms when we got back. Later that day we arrived to find all of our possessions gone. They gave us a new key without comment. We found our things in a mess at the next room. When I asked why they thought it was acceptable to move our personal items I received a half hearted sorry and a shrug. We were not happy. Nor were our friends who had to move rooms because they were so hot with no way to cool them down as the windows were nailed shut for some reason… it's no wonder that it's mould infested… we would not recommend this hotel.

"Room and hotel too hot"
Ian G, 05 Mars 2024

The rooms are so hot 26.c, No Aircon. Spoke to reception who said it's turned off. Windows were screwed shut so no fresh air. Bathroom and shower excellent Building work next to hotel was a pain being woken up by works at 06:30. Breakfast staff looked miserable every morning, reception staff very friendly. Good public transport right outside hotel. Indian restaurant just down the road from hotel was very excellent.

"A comfortble and relaxing place with easy connction to most places to visit in Vienna"
Redin M, 06 Février 2024

We stayed here a family of 4 (couple with two kids (12 and 6 years old). We stayed for 3 nights in a Quadruple room where a couch was extended into a bed for two kids and a semi attached room with a double bed. The hotel was super clean, conpletely laid with carpet floors. There were gratuite water boiler with daily refilled 1 Jacobs cappuchino pack and 1 espresso, as well as 1 Earl Gray and 1 fruit tea bag. There was one water bottle on the first day, but bare in mond that Vienna tap water is drinkable. Bathroom was clean and spacious. Towels provoded for all the four. There are no sets of toiletrietis apart from soup dispenser and shower gel dispenser. Any other items one should bring with themselves. Aircon is personilised from inside the room both heat and cold at the preferred temperature, at least in our room, which was great for us. There are free calls to 24 european countries from the room with a note on the main table how to dial in and out of country although we did not use it as we had roaming. Free wifi is good and without interruption as we used 4 devices at the same time and some Whatsapp video calls without interruption. TVs have only German stations. There is a baggage room after checking out and lots of couches at the reception hall for those with late flights like ours. Staff if very polite and always smiling, greeting and ready to help. Quite a lot of brochures and city maps with tourist info at the reception area. Elevators are outside of the reception area so going in and out of the hotel did not go through this area making it more like an personal apartment and away from other guests eyes. Breakfast was ready at 6.30 for weekdays and 7.00am for weekends. It was good and plenty for us, although the same items (cereals, milk three types of youghurt, frnkfurtea and eggs, several types of bread, two types of processed cheese slices and as much ham) . Three dispensers for coffee. One with four types of drinks including water and two with pure 100% orange and apple juice). The only negative thing I could menzion was the double bed. It was noisy and disturbing if one partner woke up at night to the point it would wake up the other. Not su much if you turned the other side while in bed.. There were several supermerkets with Lidl just next door ans Eurospar 2 minutes walk across the street. One could find ready made sanduiches and fresh bread with packed items. Remember it is difficult to find still water in supermarkets as tap water is drinkable. Shops (apart from those related to tourists) close on Sundays so think ahead. There are several restaurants is the area (ee found Lili's Kithen a great chinese place 5 minites walk away. There is a 74A bus station just outside the hotel that takes you to Landstasse/Mitte Wien Mall which is a great connection place for subway and Airport transit. Coming from Landstrasse S+U statuon will leave a little further on the other side of the hotel but still 3-5 minutes walk. There's a U3 station just 8 minutes walk if one wants to avoid 74A bus to Landstrasse connection. It will lead to St Stephans Cathedral/historical Vienna center. But we suggest buying Vienna Co6zy Pass usable for all kind of transport to save energy for tour walking and not wast time buying tickest. Airpot transfer will check all tickets. Trams will have random checks but buses we did not experience any control. Children under 19 travel free with one adult passanger. Wr highly recommend this hotel and thank the staff and administration for making our stay comfortable and relaxing before and after a long day's Vienna touring.

"Nice stay in Great Hotel"
Hovhannes A, 30 Janvier 2024

It was fantastic way of accommodating. From the first day when we accepted at 09:00 instead of 15:00 till the last day when Reception lady - Jasmin gave us opportunity for late check out. We were always in the center of attention of nice ladies in Reception. But I want to mention the Special Job of Jasmin who is the Professional of her sphere!!! I recommend this hotel.

"Great Location"
MattiasW179, 30 Janvier 2024

Very close to buses and other transportaition, decent amount of resaurants nearby. Did not realise it was classified as a four star hotel until a few days into my stay there.. it is not any luxury hotel but very good for the price. Only had breakfast once(just to try it) and it was not bad but in my world it was not worth 17eur. Would absolutley stay there again!

"Good location "
DouglasR1318, 16 Décembre 2023

This was a 4 night stay for the Christmas markets, booked through Jet2. Easy to get to via the CAT and no74 bus. Room was large, bedroom with a seperate sitting area, 2 tvs, not much in English. Bed was comfortable, shower was good. Breakfast was ok, far selection of hot and cold dishes. Chek in and check out was ok, Little or no interaction with the staff, but they seemed pleasent enough. No eveing meal available and the bar was closed. There is a bar/cafe at the entrance of the hotel, and there are plenty of restaraunts in the area. Bus and tram stops are within walking distance, so the markets are easy to get to. Only concern i have is the lack of security to the hotel and rooms. anyone can walk in gain access to the lifts and reach all the floors without a pass.

"Building works"
deborah_k1980, 14 Décembre 2023

What their description isn't telling you is that there are building works started right next door to the hotel. Im currently in room 316 which is located at the front of the hotel. The window is broken so you can hear all the noise from the traffic right outside as well as the building work that starts at 6:55 am. If you are not planning early rises while visiting Vienna then dont stay here or you won't have a choice. Im sure I can smell the dust coming through the broken window. Checking is at 2pm. The receptionist didn't even tell us how to get to our room, but she did push to try to upsell the breakfast to us twice!!! Room is spacious and clean although they don't give you tea in the room and only 1 coffee which is annoying. Im sure there are better hotels. Wouldn't reccomend.

"Good value"
Kanerva, 29 Septembre 2023

This hotel is not centrally located, but is still in a very good location. Easily accessed by rail from the airport (S7) close (10 min walk) from the U-bahn station U3 with a quick (and frequent) access to the center. In addition, enjoyed the wibe of the area. Service in the hotel is very good, breakfast exceeding expectations. Rooms a bit worn and slightly outdated, but clean. Bathroom in a better condition than rest of the room. Would stay again.

"Good stay at Best Western Hotel"
bharathkbr, 15 Septembre 2023

We stayed in the hotel for 4 days. Rooms are a bit old but nice and clean. Tv in the room was very small and we couldn't connect any of our devices to the TV nor the internet to the TV. There are not a lot of TV channels in English. Hotel refused to give late checkout even for an hour. Overall, it was a decent stay for a decent price.

"An excellent 4* hotel in the 3rd Vienna district"
matkog2017, 08 Juillet 2023

Absolutely a cozy stay at BW. Helpful roomservice staff, also the receptionist (Mrs Monika), who was an absolutely trustful and guest oriented person to make the stay as best as possible. Also, the other reception staff were very helpful on check-in and -out. Clean premises, good breakfast, and spacious garage is something that makes this hotel with its location great choice when staying in Vienna.

"Some good points and some not so good but overall happy"
Climber02975118658, 28 Juin 2023

Mixed feelings with this stay. First impression not good. We arrived very tired after our flight. Staff's English was poor and though they tried to be pleasant, they were very confusing. I felt their training wasn't up to standards of other hotels we have stayed at. Given a card for luggage room with little explanation. Would have been a small courtesy to accompany us to it as part of good service. Notice another person given same and he also had to ask what he was supposed to do. Also don't appreciate everyone having access to luggage room with no supervision. Location not near main centre however we found Ubers helpful for getting around. We were advised of train station and bus but again quite confusing with no clear explanation on how to catch them or cost which would have been helpful when visiting from another country. Perhaps some leaflets explaining these conveniences would benefit travellers. Any information is gold and appreciated. We received early check-in for no cost after offering to pay, which was lovely as we were exhausted and the room was spacious and comfortable and we made the most of the rest of our stay in Vienna. However, confusion from staff member again when we informed as a courtesy that our flight had been delayed and we would be checking out at 11:30pm instead of 7:00pm as originally intended. We had paid for the extra night so we could rest in comfort while waiting for our flight and instead of her checking first, we were quickly advised we would have to pay for late check out. Wrong. We had to explain we had already paid for an extra night in advance to cover us for flight times. We were given chocolates when checking out which I thought was a sweet gesture. I hope this review is taken as a chance for improvement as we are tolerant and I feel staff mean well and we appreciated that, however I also feel they need better training from management. We travelled for a month and stayed at many hotels all over Europe so comparison is made against general standards.

"City Break"
Chris B, 23 Mai 2023

Stayed 2 nights with friends. Short cab ride from station. Bus stop close by, regular service & quick access into centre. Room & bathroom clean. Reception staff weren't overly friendly but were helpful with directions & ordering cabs. The bar next door served great cocktails.

"Great staff, good rooms"
ekkit2022, 08 Janvier 2023

Rooms are enough for rest and keep your belongings, soaces are well rationalized and the rooms are simple but tasteful. I was withnother collegues here and we enjoyed our stay, great location, nice restaurants around in particular the greek one. I must say I found very helpful the suggestion of the receptionist, my collegue also made a review about and I have to say, Sharon really goes the extra mile, very professional customer service, nice tips, and also nice to see somebody smiling at you. She made me feel welcome in the hotel. Nice note on my stay. Nice the close Kapuzineberg for a walk and thanks again for the tip!

"Good hotel in a good location"
BQureshi1, 23 Décembre 2022

My husband and I, with our two children stayed here whilst transitting through Vienna. The hotel is in a good location. Our room was extremely spacious with comfortable beds for all. The bathroom was spacious and housed a wonderful shower. It was a lovely stay overall and reasonably priced.

"Relaxed stay"
346rayr, 02 Décembre 2022

Stayed at the hotel the rooms were very comfortable and clean, with the staff being friendly and welcoming. The continental style breakfast had a good selection of food and drinks. The restaurant tended to be busier at around 09:00. The hotel is close to public transport to get to the city centre a distance of just over a mile.

"Nice hotel for a short stay"
George W, 14 Novembre 2022

It is a nice hotel for a short stay on the excellent location. It is located in a nice neighborhood. It is clean, warm and well organized. The garage is spacious although a little pricey. It is close to subway station and it is surrounded by many markets.

"nearby highway and town center"
maximovic89, 04 Septembre 2022

I Stayed in this hotel for three nights with a group travel. Room and bathroom were tidy and clean. I had a problem with the key and they solved it very qiucly. Breakfast delicious and every kind of food was included.

"A great family friendly hotel with a lots of public transit option"
ssabil, 08 Août 2022

Our flight was delayed so we arrived late, but check in was quick and easy. Reception area was nice and welcoming and front staffs were very helpful. Room was quite big, unlike any European standard hotel. We were 3 adults and they gave us a King+sofa bed, which was very comfortable. Bathroom was North American standard sized with all the amenities. I have no complaints about the house keeping and amenities. The best part of this hotel is its location. Its quite away from the city centre hustle and bustle, yet easily connected by public transit. Bus stop is literally right in front of the hotel. U Bahn (subway) is 15 min walk and Tram stop is only 10 min walk. You can take any of those to go to Vienna City centre within 20 minutes. Lots of eateries and a couple of convenient stores/ groceries within walking distance. Overall very satisfied with the service and price. Will definitely recommend.

"Comfortable, easily accessed, excellent staff"
robertbC6800WB, 21 Juillet 2022

The hotel doesn't look as nice as it is from the outside. Inside, despite a rather jarring pop art color scheme, the Amedia Wien is comfortable and quiet and staffed by an attentive and helpful front desk staff. My room was small but clean and, again, comfortable; it faced the courtyard so there was no traffic noise at all. The Amedia Wien is ideally located, about 1/2 way between the airport and the city centre. A bus on the main line to the city centre stops almost right in front of the hotel, and gives residents easy access to virtually all tourist destinations. Breakfast is pretty standard, and there is no hotel restaurant, but good inexpensive options can be found nearby as one walks toward the centre. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and suggestions. Someone with English was always readily available. Unless you want expensive over-the-top luxury, I see no reason to stay anywhere else in Vienna.

"Very nice hotel"
ligiartd, 24 Juin 2022

My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Plus Amedia hotel for 2 nights. The rooms are big, spacious and very comfortable. They have a large garage where you can safely park your car (be aware that you need a coin from the reception in order to leave the parking with your car). The breakfast is great with a large selection of food. The location is very good and relatively close to city center. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

"Reception from heaven"
raymondf80, 09 Juin 2022

I got here after a rather long and stressful flight and the lovely young woman at reception immediately granted me a free room upgrade. Massive gesture. The room was a suite and was impressive. Large, spacious and clean. The bed was large and comfortable and was conducive to a great nights sleep. Location is ideal, just outside the beating tourist and cultural heart of Vienna. Bar seemed well stocked and breakfast area was adequate. Bathroom was a decent size and the shower was powerful.

"Pleasant hotel with friendly staff & good transport links"
PlymouthPete19, 02 Avril 2022

We stayed two nights as part of a longer break to eastern Europe. Check in was efficent and friendly. We also found all the staff, throughout our stay particularly friendly. There was no problem leaving our bag when we arrived prior to the check-in time. The hotel is nicely finished in a modern but somewhat individual, style. The room was clean and equipped with a safe and fridge, and a well-finished bathroom with a good shower. Breakfast included a wide variety of fruit, bread, spreads, cakes, meats, cheeses and several cooked dishes etc with plenty of coffee machines, so no queing. The area around the hotel was pleasant with a few shops, bars and coffee houses and - within a few minutes walk - excellent public transport links to wider Vienna. We bought a two-day pass (very cheap) which allowed travel on trams, metro & buses, and, for a small supplement, even took us on the airport transfer. There was a bit of noise from the street below our room during the night. Recommended!

"Modern meets classic!"
Athenaconst1, 28 Décembre 2021

Excellent location, in the heart of everything, only a 10-minute walk to a subway station that connects you to the city center and the airport (S7 train). The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Great for business travelers as well as tourists.

"Brilliant !"
n_sharma88, 19 Décembre 2021

Perfect location to the city centre, only a tram ride away. Hotel is perfect for a short stay. Room was nice and was cleaned everyday. Staff are very helpful. Willing to give you their time to help. Friendly people!

"Excellent"
Maria0q, 16 Décembre 2021

The rooms are clean, lightfull and big. They are just like the pictures. The stuff is olso kind and very helpful. They helped us find everything we want, because it was our first time in Vienna. Perfect!

"Great place at a great price"
George W, 07 Novembre 2021

Me and my husband stayed at the Best Westen for three nights. It has great garage with lot of parking spaces. Our room was perfectly clean, spacious, and very comfortable (especially pillows). We liked it very much. Everyone at hotel was very polite and kind. The hotel has an excellent location - it is very easy to get to the hotel from the highway and it is at a walking distance from a tube. The neighborhood is very nice, too. There are many supermarkets in its vicinity. We plan for this hotel to be our place to stay for all future visits to Vienna. Highly recommended :)

"Nice stay"
gabi114, 12 Septembre 2021

I stayed in Best Western Amedia for three days when I visited some friends in Vienna. The hotel deserves a good review! Big, nice and very clean room. The room had a kettle so you have the possibility to make a tea and powder coffe. Quick check in and out. The hotel staff was very helpful. Nice neighborhood and the bus stop (bus 74A leads to the city centre) is very close to the hotel. Really good value for money!

"Relaxing time spent"
florinazd, 05 Août 2021

Large room with comfortable bed made my night very relaxing. The only problems were a strong smell of cigarettes in the room, the parking for the car and the breakfast a bit expensive. Overall I recomend it!

"Good option "
capoca, 03 Octobre 2020

This Best Western is a nice hotel, located in a convenient position with friendly staff and a good breakfast. During the weekend parking outside is free and is a good option if you want to spare some money.

"Not worth your money"
Congrestraveller, 30 Août 2020

My room didn't get cleaned two days in a row despite hanging the “clean my room” sign early in the morning when I would leave. So I had to request clean towels and toiletpaper myself at the desk which is embarrassing. The rooms are not really that clean to begin with. The bathroom and shower are very basic and accept for cnn and Al Jazeera ALL the tv channels are in German.

"Good value for money"
janwL8189PG, 23 Août 2020

A professional, typical city hotel expected for a short stay. Clean, nice and pleasant. Correct breakfast, kind staff, nice room without any inconvenience. I can recommend this hotel for short stay, weekend etc.

"Nice, 4* business hotel, between Wien Hbf and the city center"
da_gabor, 21 Juillet 2020

We received the huge room num. 520 on the 5th floor with garden view. The room was very spacious with two sofas. The hotel very close to Wien Hbf and you can get the city center very quickly with the bus 74A, which stops near to the hotel. Good value for money, highly recommended hotel.

"Arguably the best place to stay in Vienna"
SRMD2, 26 Février 2020

On arrival the receptionist was friendly, helpful and welcoming despite us arriving at 2am. The room we stayed in was a double non-smoking room which was clean on arrival and cleaned every day. The rooms are spacious with a safe in the wardrobe to keep valuables. The room has a kettle which is topped up with tea and coffee every day and there is a tv on the wall which has multiple channels in a choice of different languages. The bed was comfy and clean and was made every day. The bathroom was well equipped with soap, shower gel and shampoo. Sound proof despite is being dead in Vienna at night. Excellent connection from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to the centre of Vienna. All in all, good stay. Would not return to Vienna however would stay here again.

"A reasonable stay"
347gareths, 21 Février 2020

So I wouldn't say it's Four stars but then again it's not at a four star price it's worth every penny we paid but it's not a perfect hotel. Firstly the good bits, Staff were efficient and friendly, Hotel was Clean and room was in good condition, the bathroom was particularly nice, we were also very pleased to have a fridge. Breakfast was good and as expected for a European hotel. In terms of location it's pretty good as transport links are excellent so even though it's at least half hour walk from most tourist points its not really a problem. Things that disappointed me Two single beds put together and two single quilts wasn't great, the room was also incredibly hot at night and even though I turned the thermostat right down (it was on 30 when we got there) and turned the fans on it made no difference and remained hot all week. The complimentary hot drinks were an odd choice earl grey is not the common choice of tea and English Breakfast would be preferable, it's a coffee drinking nation but for those that don't drink coffee I think English Breakfast is a better alternative, the TV channel selection was rubbish and there also needs to be a mirror in front of the dressing table/desk in the main room. Also the cleaners should be encouraged to knock and speak louder, as I didn't hear them when I was in the room and they came in. Also we didn't see the welcome pack until the final day, we weren't sure if this was because it wasn't there when we arrived or it was left in a really odd place as we found it under the bed side table. Finally security wise it bothers me that it is very easy to walk into the hotel and go up to where all the rooms are and no-one would know because the front desk is quite a distance and well separated from the door this isn't good. Overall we had a good stay and it's lived upto what we paid for but I would not expect the issues we found there to be on a four star hotel.

"Not a 4 star hotel"
Cagil Y, 18 Février 2020

Definitely not a 4-star hotel Not friendly staff Wifi did not work within my entire trip. I requested so many times to the reception to fix it, but even though they said they did. I could not connect at all. I had bad stomach after having breakfast. I requested water at 11pm, but the receptionist told me to come down stairs to get it cause she is the only one as in duty.

"Pleasant stay"
alwyn4140, 08 Février 2020

Lovely spacious and clean rooms. Very friendly staff. Very nice buffet style free breakfast. Aldi supermarket next door. Places to eat a short walk away. We were very happy with this hotel. Would definitely recommend

"Really good hotel"
Irene C, 23 Janvier 2020

Stayed here for 4 days with 3 daughters and we were all delighted with accommodation helpful staff and very good breakfast. Room was large and spotlessly clean. Could not find fault with anything in this hotel. Price fantastic too!

"Very nice hotel"
Choche2020, 23 Janvier 2020

Very nice hotel, excellent service. Good location, close to the city center. Nice and clean room, excellent breakfast, nice and cosy relaxation center on the top floor. Thumbs up for the staff in the hotel!

"Clean and modern hotel, very close to central Vienna."
Visi_AlbaTravel, 19 Janvier 2020

Excellent service from the girl in recession, she help me upgrade my room, a family room, very big and clean room, breakfast had plenty of choices, and being to close to central made my stay at Vienna a very memorable .

"I enjoyed my stay at the hotel"
AncaUK, 10 Décembre 2019

Last month I've been to Viena with another 3 friends. It was very nice and clean. We had lots of laughter and singing in the night but it didn't bother anyone so I think it was thick wall between the rooms wich makes it more private. We had breakfast every morning,I really loved the sausages they had there, and also all my friends. We asked for more tea and cappuccino from the reception and they delivered to our room so the ladies at the reception were really helpful.

"Away from the centre and just a little bland"
Midlifetourist, 19 Novembre 2019

Location: The Best Western Plus Amedia Wien is a little bit out of town and a ten minute walk from the nearest metro station. We stayed during June, right in the middle of a heatwave and finding the hotel was a shade difficult, in the intense heat of the day. Once you are used to the hotels location, its pretty easy. First impressions of the hotel building, were that it was a little bland, but very well kept and tidy. There was also a Lidl supermarket, which came in very handy. Check In: The check in staff were friendly and efficient and everything was done very quickly and with lots of smiles Room: The room was very Best Western. Everything was clean, tidy and as expected. The room was quite spacious, with a very comfortable bed, flat screen tv and safe. There was very little noise, either from outside or from our hotel neighbor's so it was a very relaxing stay. Service: Staff were all friendly and helpful and the rooms were well cleaned on a daily basis Check Out: Check out was quick and efficient Summary: Absolutely no problems a typical Best Western Plus hotel and service, but nothing that makes the hotel stand out from the crowd either. But in fairness, a nice hotel and great value for money.

"Weekend break"
R781VHmichaelg, 17 Novembre 2019

My two friends and I spent three nights in this spotlessly clean, conveniently located hotel. More importantly , the staff were incredibly helpful -Lisa, whom I spoke with before I departed , Arianna and all the staff on reception were exemplary ( not forgetting the blonde haired bar girl)! Would highly recommend !

"Wonderful stay"
MerittBrown, 09 Novembre 2019

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff were friendly, competent, and polite. We had no issues with checking-in or checking-out. I love how they offered breakfast on site and a lounge at night. Our room was super clean and well maintained. Would highly reccomend this hotel!

"Extremely friendly staff."
Rosalind P, 08 Novembre 2019

We got here on Tram 18 from the main railway station - short walk from the tram stop to the hotel. Modern and clean inside - our room was spacious and had everything we needed. Great shower too. An excellent choice for breakfast - I have never seen so many "toppings" for the cereals and this hotel had the best yoghurt of my entire Europe trip !! The public transport system is excellent and we easily negotiated our way around - metro station a few blocks from the hotel. We got back late on the metro one night but felt quite safe walking the streets back to the hotel. There are good restaurants and outdoor cafes within walking distance. Extremely friendly staff who were most helpful answering questions in excellent English. There is a bar area in the hotel with comfy chairs to relax in with a glass of wine after a full day out in the city !!

"Great Hotel in Great Location"
301reedst, 16 Septembre 2019

The Amedia Wien was a great surprise. As noted a couple blocks away from the 18 tram to the main train station , from the Underground which is a 10 minute ride to the center of Vienna, as well as the S train which takes 12 minutes to get to the Airport. The Amedia is located in a commercial district with several supermarkets (Aldi, Lidi and Billa) within a block, an Anker Bake shop across the street and plenty of excellent restaurants with varied cuisines again within a 10 minute radius. If you are ambitious you can walk on Landstrasse St right into downtown Vienna. The Hotel is a very bright, modern design inside, has a helpful front desk and a very large breakfast area with an excellent breakfast with an ample selection of food including fresh cut fruits and pastries I really don't see the complaints in some of the previous reviews. MY room was a single and was the epitome of European efficiency with a funky decorated bathroom with shower, ample closet space , skylight windows, and a super comfortable single bed. I was missing towels when I checked in, a quick call to the front desk brought warm towels fresh from the dryer in less than 5 minutes . Room was very clean and well kept, towels changed daily. Only problem was the cable/ internet was down for my final day. If not I would have rated the hotel 5 stars. As it is I would actually rate my stay 4 and one half.

"Lovely staff, great breakfast choice, clean rooms"

Chosen for location as near to transport but found that cycling, walking and taxi's (cheap as group of 4) were preferred modes of transport. The staff were really lovely, could not be any more helpful and we were a bit of a pain! We were in quadruple room and bed settee hard, no problem brought mattress toppers! Iron, brought up then Got locked out, no problem! The housekeeping staff were lovely and the rooms cleaned and tea/coffee/towels replaced. We were impressed with the breakfast choices and presentation, all in all an enjoyable stay, thank you everyone.

"A good hotel to stay at."
joannarossow, 12 Septembre 2019

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially with information about getting around the city. The room was nice and clean, and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was good. Very pleased with our stay.

"Hotel correcto/ Good hotel "

The hotel is not in the city center but if walking is no problem, it takes no time to get there. There are also many options for public transport very close-by. Room and bathroom were clean and the staff was very pleasant. Just to mention that the coffee in the room is instant, not from a coffee machine. The best thing: the beds were incredibly comfortable!

"good for this price"
ferrelluk, 17 Août 2019

I just stay 1 night and booked few hours before arrived so no time to have a look for others but location and rooms are ok. If I have to back I think I will try to choice other place in that money. reception staff are friendly

"More than we expected"
Nora P, 17 Août 2019

Hotel is near EH stadion. Rooms are big and well equipped. Very clean, nice bedlinen. Very nice breakfast good sort of food. All in all hotel is friendly but spacy. Check in and out very quickly. Hotel owns garage also. We can only recommend it.

"Good for it's purpose"
aprinkibas, 05 Août 2019

We stayed as family of 4 for 4 nights. Room was large enough for all of us, beds were comfy and ac was spot on. We had a problem the first night with the shower which was fixed same evening so all good. The hotel is close to train stations and the bus stop is 100 metres away. Bus 74a will take you to mittle station where you are 2 stops from Stephenplatz, the centre. 2 small gripes I had was firstly, cleaning of the room. Lady came in and tidied up, put fresh towels but didn't wipe down surfaces or vacuum. Secondly, we didn't pay for breakfast because it was €17 per person per day! I thought that was outrageous! Went to Aldi 3 doors down and bought breakfast supplies for the 4 days we were there.

"Very close to perfectly sufficient "
hadjidemetrious, 14 Juillet 2019

Rooms were very clean Everything else was sufficient, except from: Sheets and towels are not changed (even after 11 days) unless you ask for them to be changed Only the reception stuff speaks English After 2-3 minutes of improvised sign language with the breakfast stuff to arrange a table for 5 people we were instructed to make our own table (i don't understand why they only had up to 4 person tables since they accepted bookings for larger groups) Breakfast items were repetitive and did not meet expectations of a 4* hotel TV only had German speaking channels except from 2 news channels The venting machine holding the precious water broke

"Very good stay"
sachinnano, 07 Juillet 2019

Went on a family trip recently there. Hotel is easily approachable from Viena railway station by taxi, it takes around 5-7 minutes to reach hotel. Reception staff was good in speaking English and check in was comfortable. It is easy to reach Viena City centre and Viena station via metro / tram. The front office staff will he you out in explaining how to reach tram/metro stations. Good shopping areas in the vicinity of hotel which is on a road where public transport is easily available. Rooms are big and comfortable with good bedding and sleep quality. Wished some more toiletries.

"Close to public transportation"
Liandy_Vu, 25 Juin 2019

Well located along the vibrant business district of Landstrasse, yet the Vienna's efficient & well-developed bus literally stops in front of this hotel, and it takes couple of stops to get to the historical Innere Stadt. The closest U-Bahn station is a 10 minutes walk, and will take you directly to Stephanplatz. Room is decent in size, but quite modern and clean, good selection of breakfast, the croissant is excellent. Last but not least, good news for Asian tourists : plenty of supermarkets at the vicinity, Billa, Hofer, Lidl, Spar, etc...you name them!

"Good base"
MaggieMay62, 24 Juin 2019

We stayed here for 3 nights and found it very comfortable. Staff were helpful, food was good. Can recommend O'Connors Irish pub nearby for food also Gasthaus Wagner, very rustic but cheap, good food, very little English spoken but got by with miming , great fun!! Turn left out of hotel, left again at top of road and U-bahn about 10 mins walk or catch the No. 18 tram 1 stop. Aldi & Lidl close by hotel. To get to Hautbahnhof railway station from the hotel, catch the Number 18 in opposite direction for about 5 stops.

"Excellent except for location"
ranjanii, 09 Juin 2019

We stayed in Best Western for 3 nights in May. The double room is small but extremely neat. We had problem with the room's air conditioning and were given a suite, which was very good. The girls at the reception are quick and very helpful A special mention must be made of Ariana , who was very helpful. Breakfast had very limited options as we are vegetarian. Given the growing number of Vegan and vegetarian people who travel, the hotel should have more options for breakfast. The location of the hotel is close to Tram, Bus and the Metro. However, the location of the hotel itself is not in an area which has the old world charm nor is it beautiful as the rest of the city. SO when we checked into the hotel we were confused, as we had heard that Vienna was one of the most beautiful cities in Europe, which it is, just the location of the hotel is very ordinary in terms of the beauty of location. House keeping was good. Overall a very nice Hotel.

"Comfortable, modern and still friendly hotel"
Balázs M, 05 Juin 2019

Huge and comfortable room, modern look, great beds, ideal for a family with kids as well. Friendly staff, fine breakfast and even walking distance from Ersnt-Happel Stadium in the evening, aftre a concert. Fits the Best Western standards.

"Great service"
Jesco74, 05 Juin 2019

nearest subway station is a 10 minute walk. Rooms are spacious and clean. Great service. Some restaurants in the area but didn't visit. Mostly hung out in central area and just came back to sleep. Breakfast is extra

"Just about decent value, not the same as the picture on makemytrip. no sofa. not 25 mt sq"
MANOJPODDAR1_-, 05 Juin 2019

We had a smooth check in ath this 4 star hotel which from its outside does not look like 4 star, has no pool. the rooms did not appear to be 25 square mts and were certainly not the same as shown in our booking portal makemytrip. Perhaps they chose to give us the inferior rooms at the very back as we had booked it at a good deal. There was no sofa s shown in the picture. We did not opt for the vegetarian breakfast at steep 15 euro each. The hotel is located at a little quiet kinda location. i would henceforth prefer staying around Hauptbahnhof. There is nice super market right under the hotel

"Great Hotel, very friendly staff"
Bang0rlad, 31 Mai 2019

Stayed here for a short family break in April. What a gem of a hotel; the staff were so friendly and amendable. The family room we had was great; very spacious, modern and clean, great facilities. The location was equally brilliant. There is a bus stop literally 200yds from the hotel and as visitors to Vienna know, the public transport is quick and easy to use. The bus journey from the hotel to the centre is about 6-10 mins or about 5 mins to the main train/underground stations that links to the airport. We Ubered from the Airport to the hotel which cost us about 20 euros each way. There is a Lidl supermarket next door which was very handy for a quick cheap breakfast. I will be staying here again; Vienna is a beautiful city with so much to see and this hotel makes a perfect base

"A decent, average hotel not so far from the city center"
miklosbreitner, 08 Mai 2019

As I wrote in the title it is a decent hotel not so far from the city center with excellent public transport connections. The room was nice, but nothing special. The hotel's breakfast was Ok as well...In the neighborhood, you will find simple and nice cafes and restaurants.

"Nice hotel to a nice price !"
perantonsen, 07 Mai 2019

We was in Wienna in the easter celebration, and lived in this Hotel. A litte distance from the city center, but the bus stopped few meters from the entrance. Quiet area with a lot of shops an restaurant in near distance.

"l liked it"
mehay, 12 Avril 2019

lt is a clean hotel with its kind staff. Rooms are clean .We had a good stay. The hotel is far away from the city center. You should take a taxi but it costs a lot.So prefer public transportation nearby. At breakfast there was enough variety of food and beverages.

"Time Away"
Tina W, 07 Avril 2019

Hotel on the main road to the centre of Vienna, but be warned it is a long way down. You really need to take the bus to the top and Stradpark. Hotel helpful in terms of bus stop but failed to provided any information regarding how to purchase tickets. Very easy to download app to make purchase, but difficult when on the bus!!!! Hotel room spacious, good shower and had fridge and safe. They have a bar and the breakfast good. Not enough coffee and milk provided in room so had to help ourselves from breakfast and take back.

"Good location, attentive staff, great facilities"
SoloTraveller1993, 02 Avril 2019

Stayed for a week at the beginning of March, check in speedy and efficient. Good sized room with plenty of towels in the bathroom, free safe in the cupboard. Best of all, in my opinion, free international telephone calls from the rooms! Two separate bars, one smoking, other non smoking. Snacks served. Breakfast is buffet style, sausage, eggs (scrambled, boiled), bacon, croissants, breads, fruit, cereals etc. Free to use wellness area for guests, great to unwind and relax. Friendly staff throughout the hotel, cleaners, bar staff, breakfast staff, but particularly Monika on the reception desk, always welcoming with a smile and curious about how things are going. Would definitely stay again, easily reachable for metro/underground station, ten minutes by walking or bus stop outside the hotel takes ten minutes to Vienna central station. Keep it up Best Western!

"Great base to explore Vienna"
Elwyn W, 25 Mars 2019

Large, clean room. Breakfast fresh, varied. Ten minutes away from two Underground stations ( turn left for one, turn right for another) Staff quietly efficient rather than wasting their time showing you how friendly they could be. Will store luggage for you if you have a late flight/train. Good location for exploring the city, would happily return.

"Long weekend in Vienna "
susanrB8602NS, 11 Mars 2019

Nice friendly hotel. The rooms are a decent size and to my delight the bathroom had a big bathtub as well as a great shower. After a cold day of sightseeing I thoroughly enjoyed a hot bath to warm up. Beds are comfy and nice soft pillows. There's a kettle and I brought my own tea bags (fussy tea drinker!) and bought a pint of fresh milk next door in the Lidl supermarket. It kept fine in the little fridge. The desk staff were very helpful explaining how to use the buses and subway. There's a stop practically outside the hotel to Stubentor and from there you can easily walk to all of the major sites. If like me you are retired, you can take the subway - which is very easy to negotiate. Breakfast is ok if you like continental style, loads to eat & eat all you like. I'd return if I come back to Vienna - our deal was very reasonable through Broadway Travel.

"Visit of the city of Vienna."
hans-jaguar, 11 Mars 2019

The Best Western Hotel in Vienna. We stayed there for 4 nights, due to an organized trip by the company of “Nortravel”. The hotel is at about 3 km (walking distance) from the centre of Vienna, but you can take the bus number “74A” who takes you to the centre where you can take the subway, and after one or two stop you are in the middle of the centre of Vienna and this on about 100 meters from the Cathedral. The service and the staff into the hotel was very friendly, the rooms were bigg enough and very clean, we also used almost every night the diner into the hotel incorporated into the price and also no complains at all. We had also a very good breakfast buffet, who had everything to please everybody. We can warmly recommend this hotel for the people who like to visit the centre of Vienna and use the facileties of the bus and subway,

"Good location and good night's sleep"
Kathryn_Gla, 10 Mars 2019

This hotel in a good location for travel to and from the airport as well as into the centre of Vienna. We got the local train from the airport and there is a stop a 5 minute walk from the hotel, this was useful for our flight home. We had the full day in Vienna but were able to leave our cases and then pick them up en route to the airport (which wasn't out of the way). It was also in a good location for trams into the centre. We booked it because we were going to a concert at Gasometer which it was also near. The room was comfortable and clean and the beds were very comfy. My only complaint was that although we booked a double room it was 2 single beds pushed together rather than a proper double bed. There was a reasonable breakfast buffet offered each morning which was good.

"Excellent"
Julie E, 06 Mars 2019

This is an excellent hotel, it is very clean and the staff on reception are exceptionally friendly, marcus, Caroline and Arianna are all great, they couldnt do enough for us along with barbara in the bar. The breakfast is typically continental but it is of good quality and alot of choice, with hot and cold food available, and hot and cold drinks. The rooms are clean and tidy, we had a really big bed with clean sheets and very comfortable. The bathroom was really good it was like a wet room. This hotel is not in the centre but in a quieter area, it is easily accessible by bus outside the hotel (74a) with just a 10 minute ride to the centre of Vienna. There is a bar attached to to the hotel where they allow smoking so you dont have to go outside. There is nothing bad i can say about this hotel, it is truly excellent and we enjoyed our stay here.

"A good base"
quillboy, 06 Mars 2019

The hotel is located some 30 minutes walk from the City but easily accessible with a bus stop nearby or an underground station 5/10 minutes walk away. The hotel is a fairly typical City hotel, not 4 stars but good enough. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped including tea/coffee making facility. The breakfast is buffet style and quite good although juices are cordials rather than fresh and much of the fruit on offer is tinned although there was some fresh. Limited hot food with rather rubbery scrambled egg. Good selection of bread, cold meats and cheeses. Staff helpful and friendly.

"A really good hotel on the edge of the city"
martinjolly45, 04 Mars 2019

We were very impressed by almost every aspect of this hotel. The bedroom was clean, spacious, colourful and well maintained. The service including reception was friendly and resourceful. The breakfast was excellent in quality, volume and variety. We found the front facing bedrooms a little noisy so you may want to bear this in mind. With the windows closed there was no problem but we couldn't fathom the air conditioning system. There is a 30 to 40 minute walk into the heart of the city along a straightforward route with plenty of shops on the way. After a while this would become tedious but there seems to be good public transport links. We tend to buy hop on hop off bus tickets for a couple of days and we found the distance to the nearest collection point a little inconvenient. If like me has a time-honored yorkshireman you don't want to pay the full fee of transfer from the airport to the hotel, you can easily take the railjet service from the airport to hauptbahnhof ( not the luxury version to Wien Mitte) and then take the number 18 tram to the sixth stop beyond the station. Tickets are available at the station and seniors even pay a reduced price. The bus stop is literally a couple of hundred yards from the hotel.

"Good location, comfortable room"
HollyGB70, 03 Mars 2019

A little out of town, but only a ten minute bus ride right into the centre. The entrance to the hotel, is not very welcoming, but once you are through the lift / garage lobby, the reception staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was large, comfortable bed, good shower, quiet when the windows were shut, road noise if you left them open. The room had a safe, kettle and a fridge, not much in English on the tv. Breakfast was good and plentiful and ran until 11am at the weekend. The hotel has a big luggage room, so keeping our luggage until 5pm was no problem. Not the Ritz, but a good hotel for the money.

"It is not a real 4 star Hotel."
thrasos1966, 21 Février 2019

The worst experience at our 8th visit in Vienna. Very expensive parking (17€/day) , poor breakfast (e.g only boiled sausages and omelet, 2 types of cake) , defective toilet flush system. The maid who was preparing our adjacent room put the clean towels at the floor......... The only good thing is the location (bus stop is outside)

"This hotel should get the extra star just because of the service"
555tanjah, 19 Février 2019

So where should I start. First let me tell you that the location was super good since we got down from the CAT train to Wien Mitte and from there took the 74a Stubentor bus directly to the hotel. Checked in at around 2 o clock. Spar is just on the other side of the street and also Lidl on the door. Breakfast was the same everyday but with nice selections. Must say the briosche with Nutella was superb and also my mother who loves fresh fruit juice said that the orange juice was fresh and not from the box. Now it was close to Belvedere but overall easy accesible to all the parts of Vienna. We used the sauna almost everyday of our stay since we had all gotten the cold, but funny thing is that on our last day, my mother went just like everynight at 22:00 and found a naked man standing there legs up. Not the hotel's fault but we bursted laughing and I think we might have woken somebody up, sorry about that if you were staying into Amedia on the 18th of february ❤️. The receptions girls from morning to evening, absolutely beautiful, helpful and kind!! The hotel should be 5 stars just because of them. Room was spacious and w a view from the street also the bathroom superclean. We had the room cleaned everyday of our stay. Ps. I would like to share with you all a little loophole that we found by accident. It's not legal but it wont get you to jail. On the 74a bus, nobody checks your tickets. Like ever. We used it everyday for 4 days, not a single ticket check. Sorry .

"Worst 4 star hotel I've ever stayed in"
JoshuaFairest1996, 17 Février 2019

We stayed in this hotel from the 14th February to the 17th February. Upon check in, we were informed that the earliest check in time was 3pm. As we had arrived at 12pm, we had 3 hours to kill before our room was available to us. We stowed our bags in the luggage room, which we then found out was freely propped open by members of staff when moving chairs in and out of the dining area. This is obviously a concern as people were walking in and out with free access to our luggage. Once we were finally allowed to go to our room, we discovered that even though I had paid extra for a double bed, it was two singles. Instead of arguing with staff that didn't seem to speak our language the best, we just pushed the beds together. As we had been exploring the city for 3 hours while our room was being prepared, we had worked up quite a thirst and were relatively tired. I called down to reception on the number listed as “room service” on the card in the room, to which the receptionist responded “we do not do room service in this hotel, you will have to come down to the bar”. For a 4 star hotel to not do room service, I find it quite shocking. Two days into our trip, we had returned to the room after being out all day to discover that two windows were left open in our room by the cleaners. The room had started to smell like cigarettes as the open roofed smoking area was approximately 50 yards from our room windows. On top of this, the heating in our room had been cranked up to the maximum temperature and it was like a sweat box. We tried to turn off the heating, however it didn't work. In addition to this, the mini fridge in the room, which may I add was not stocked, had no door on it, so the light from the fridge lit up the whole room at night time. The breakfast was average, however nobody was there to check if you'd actually paid for it. One strange thing that happened on the last night was the TV, which we couldn't seem to get to turn on with the remote, magically turned its self on at around 1:00am in the morning, even though we had no idea where the remote was. Overall, the hotel wasn't up to standard, the only upside was that it wasn't too far away from the city centre.

"Good, clean hotel, nice rooms, easy access to everything"
louiebabe, 15 Février 2019

Stayed here for 3 nights, check in was swift and pleasant although our room wasn't ready as arrived early they allowed us to use the luggage room so we could go and explore the area. Although its 30mins walk to the city centre it's easily accessed by bus/tram/underground ...buy a travel card from the tabak shop up the road..you can get 1,2,3day or weekly and you can travel on trains, trams, buses and underground whilst here! Hotel room spacious and modern and very clean. Large comfy bed and kettle in room! Also a fridge. Lidl right next door and plenty of takaways and restaurants in immediate vicinity (although some allow smoking as do some bars so be warned if you're a non smoker! Only 1 English channel though (CNN!) Breakfast good! Plenty of choice but not full English fry up..just scrambled egg and bacon pieces mixed and sausages (which was plenty good enough!)..but plenty of fruit, cakes, cheeses, cereals, toast etc so you won't go hungry! We did a day trip to Bratislava, capital of Slovakia, only took an hour on the train costing €17 and well worth a visit. Also Visited the palace and the zoo which is inside the grounds of the palace where you can see the usual zoo animals but also polar bears and pandas! Thoroughly enjoying our stay and would highly recommend this hotel, excellent value for money

"A clean, comfortable hotel"
Jackie B, 12 Février 2019

The hotel was slightly outside the city centre, but there is a bus stop immediately outside and the Metro was about 10 minutes walk. Breakfast was very good and staff were very helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

"Best Value for your money"
Smaranda A, 11 Février 2019

It is a basic, clean, very comfortable hotel, situated at no more than 30 minutes walking distance from the center of Vienna, with all the historical attractions. It has two supermarkets nearby, and a metro station about 10 minutes away. The staff is nice and friendly, the room is large, warm and clean, there is tea, coffee and water in the room offered by the hotel. So, if you do not require five-star amenities, this is the best you can find, at this price, in this wonderful, imperial city.

"Great hotel with great location"
Joanneabb, 04 Février 2019

Beautiful hotel. Clean and big rooms with comfortable beds. Great location with a bus right outside the hotel 74A that takes you to all the metro stations and the city center. I highly recommend it. The only thing that i think should be better is the lightning in the room.

"City Break in Vienna"
Lisa B, 31 Janvier 2019

Lovely hotel, looked newly refurbished. Rooms massive and nicely decorated. Breakfast was lovely, with plenty of choice. 25 mins walk from centre. Lovely flat walk into the city. Found the food and drink really reasonably. Lovely little Thai restaurant around the corner from hotel, that you must try. Vienna is a beautiful city to visit, plenty to see and do. Note everything shuts on a Sunday

"Weekend away"
Keith H, 26 Janvier 2019

Clean functional hotel. Direct bus into centre 10 mins or walk in 20 S7 train from airport to st Marx 5 mins walk away Bfast ok rooms clean, beds and shower good Staff friendly provided early check in, fridge in room and lidl right next door

"Clean hotel. Would book again"
terrybensusan, 25 Janvier 2019

Hotel is 4/5 tram stops from the main train station (we travelled by train from Prague). The City Centre was 2 stops on tram and 6 on metro. 30 mins in total? Staff very friendly and helpful. We did not have breakfast included but it was optional at extra cost. Would stay.

"REALLY QUITE GOOD"
RugeleyRob_D, 15 Janvier 2019

Nice quiet hotel far enough from the hustle & bustle but close enough to walk into the centre. Large comfortable rooms with great modern bathrooms. RECEPTION STAFF are so helpful it puts others to shame ! ONLY downside is the bar at the front of the hotel which is a smoking bar & the reception non smoking bar had very little choice ! !

"Large, clean, quiet and comfortable room"
AdelineGKTan, 09 Janvier 2019

Stayed here as part of a group tour in December 2018. My room on the 5th floor was much larger than I'd expected. Clean, very quiet, and comfortable. The shower is a bit slow to drain, but there was no overt flooding. There's a small bar in the hotel which extends on from the reception. There's a tiny cafe on the ground floor which isn't part of the hotel - allows indoor smoking (so quite the air gets a bit thick), but they'll make toasties and deliver them to the hotel reception area. Hotel serves a decent buffet breakfast, with plenty of options. In terms of location, it's an easy 2km walk straight down the road from the hotel to District 1 (city centre)

"A stay with no issues."
Orwelian, 16 Décembre 2018

We had 3 nights stay in this hotel 2nd week of December. Had contacted the hotel before arrival to check that there was a baggage room available as we were arriving mid morning and didn't want to carry bags around til mid afternoon, yes one available both for arriving early and departing after checkout. We had a room on the 5th floor, spotlessly clean, facing out onto the main road, quiet, we didn't have any traffic noise. The bed was both large and very comfortable, and no issues with room temperature, it was -1 deg outside. Our check in lady was very accommodating, polite, and helpful with a smile. A welcome of Gruss Gott and a little attempt at the German language goes a long way when visiting this country. The self service breakfast was more then adequate in variety of hot and cold provisions. Staff on the service kept the tables and area tidy, and the food topped up. In all, we were were more than happy with our experience of this hotel, it was comfortable, welcoming and efficient and would definitely use it again. The hotel is a 1.3kms walk from the Wien Landstrasse station, Bus number 74a stops close to outside the hotel both into and out of town. U3 bahn is a 300meter walk and the S7 bahn to and from the airport is a 800 meter walkaway. Outside of the S bahn station 74a bus also stops so for those feeling tired you get off S7 onto a 74a and only have to walk 100mtrs to the hotel. Depending on how long you are staying, it is worth getting a Vienna Travel card for use on all transport within Vienna central zone, you just have to pay 1.70Eur for the zone 2 part of the journey too and from the airport. Cost of 72hr travel card - 17Eur, cost of a weekly travel card, Monday to Monday, 17Eur. Yes the same price!

"Excellant value hotel for visiting Vienna"
12345Pym, 08 Décembre 2018

We stayed for 4 nights in November 2018 and found this a very good hotel for a short break in Vienna. No frills but comfortable accommodation, good breakfast and friendly and helpful reception staff. The hotel is a little out of the city centre but is a 7/8 minute walk to the U3 subway Kardinal Nagl Platz then 3 stops into the centre. Also buses run outside. Would recommend buying a Travel pass, valid for tube, buses and trams, for the number of days you are in Vienna. You can buy one from the tobacconists virtually opposite the hotel. The hotel is also easy to reach by taking the S7 from the airport, getting off at St Marx, which is a lot cheaper than a taxi or the Airport Express.

"A clean bed and breakfast"
roget_11, 03 Décembre 2018

Basicallt a bed and breakfast establishmnet som 5 minutes from the excellent underground system that gets you into central Vienna in minutes. Rooms comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfast basic continental but more than aquequate. Staff friendlt and very helpful.

"Good hotel"
andrija0, 02 Décembre 2018

It was our fourth or fifth visit to this hotel. First time, some five or more years ago, when hotel wasn't part of Best Western chain. We liked it a lot, especially modern design of the room and perfect austrian breakfast. Service of all staf was perfect, but Vladimir was really specially kind and nice person always ready to help and always with a smail. Now nothing left from forner days. People on recepcion were profesional but only that, without any smile. But people in the restoran were really disappointing. Completely unprofesional. For example, thay taking of the plates from the table without question if it's free, start cleaning table until gests are still siting, or start collecting food a minut after brekfast time was finish, so this looks so poor. Breakfast is no more so rich but still good. Hotel is on good position and is very good connected with city, because bus station is few meters far from hotel entrance. Also hotel has it's own garage, so it is very good for guests who are coming by car.

"When is a double bed not a double bed?"
Mike W, 21 Novembre 2018

Good, clean, quiet, good value for money, conveniently situated. Excellent choices for breakfast. Very helpful, English-speaking staff. But we really didn't like the idea of two single beds pushed together to make a double bed, with two single quilts.

"Unbeliavably hot room"
hyannisonmymind, 04 Novembre 2018

We just got back from our visit to Vienna and Amedia hotel and while Vienna was very nice, this hotel wasn't up to par. Its location is ok, especially since the bus to Wien Mitte went from right in front of the hotel and using it was very simple and clear with a weekly pass (only 16,50 for the week). In addition, the S7 train stops only a short walk away at the St. Marx stop so getting there from the airport was simple and cheap. The major problems had to do with the room itself, however, since there seemed to be no ventilation in the room, not to even mention any air conditioning. The temperature in our room (room number 607) was clearly above any normal levels and it must have reached way over 30 degrees Celsius during the night. We tried having the window open during the night to make the temperature bearable, but the street sounds were so loud at times that this was not a possibility for the rest of the nights. We complained to the reception but they just said that that's how it is and there's no sense in changing rooms as that will be the same issue in the others, as well. And we were there in the beginning of November, so the temperature outside surely wasn't the problem why the rooms are so hot. They also didn't volunteer any solution to the problem, but luckily I asked if they have any fans, which they did. So by having the fan blowing on us all night long we somehow were able to sleep, but even then the room was extremely hot. Otherwise the room seemed to have been fixed up relatively nicely, though unfortunately not finished off totally right, e.g. the shower basket had been installed lopsided so you couldn't actually have any shampoos etc. in it. The bed was also very hard and the pillows extremely flat, but luckily I had brought my own pillow with me. It's good to also note that the only English TV channels were CNN and Al Jazeera, so not much watching tv... The breakfast was just ok, nothing to rave about. We also had an issue with our room not being cleaned the first day and even for the other days they didn't do such a good job with it, water glasses and towels weren't changed etc. The hotel doesn't really have a restaurant for evening food, but we tried to restaurants nearby on the same street, the Indian Satraj which was nothing special and the superb Italian Al Sarago which we ate at twice and both times the food was excellent and cheap. If we return to Vienna, we would absolutely choose another hotel.

"Excellent budget hotel"
Lubina67, 01 Novembre 2018

Situated relatively close to the downtown and easy to get there by bus, tram and S-bahn. The room was spacious enough, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi not quit good, but available free. Staff is kind and helpful, breakfast ok too.

"Definitely BEST (Western)"
Jet631995, 26 Octobre 2018

We were touring Austria and this hotel was our reservation for Vienna. I can say that it was the best one compared to the other hotels where we stayed in Austria. The room and the bathroom are both big and very clean. Breakfast was delicious and with really extended food possibilities. It's not in the city center but only a ten minutes walk from the U-bahn, so very well connected. Comfortable and quiet, with young and kind staff. There is also a big underground parking which was very useful since we arrived by car. We would go there again, we really enjoyed it!

"Good value for money"
Dimitris K, 21 Octobre 2018

The hotel was more affordable than more center placed hotels so we chose it and we didn't regret it. It's 30+ minutes walk from the center square but there are nearby tram & bus stops so that's not a big issue. Also the Belvedere Museum is 10-15 min walk. We were given a room with 2 single beds and we asked for a double bed and the reception kindly changed our rooms. The room was pretty big, especially the bathroom. Umfortunately the water pressure in the bathroom was weak and that was a problem. Also the hair dryer was very weak so women take notice! The breakfast was more than satisfactory with great variety.

"Worst receptionist i've ever met"
geoffurquhart, 08 Octobre 2018

Booked a double room but would only give us a twin. When we requested a double the world's most miserable lady on reception told us to push the beds together. We said we'd prefer a double bed & she rolled her eyes & said she'd give us a different room. When we got there it was a twin with the beds pushed together. Door card didn't work properly, plug didn't fit in the bath, aircon/heater faulty, table on balcony outside but only the next room had a door. Location is quite convenient & food is reasonable. Overall, disappointed & in my view not worthy of its 4th star.

"Ideal base for exploring Vienna "
Helen-Lpool, 02 Octobre 2018

Clean, light, specious room, bath and shower, opening windows. staff were pleasant and went out of their way to say good morning. Bar staff were great, the girls worked hard and were attentive without intrusion, very polite and helpful. rooms were cleaned daily and to a decent standard. breakfast was ok, and a decent choice of fresh breads fruits and cheeses. ideally located just a 25 minute walk into the centre by the cathedral. Lovely visit would happily stay again

"Comfortable, Convenient, and Affordable "
Tom F, 27 Septembre 2018

We spent two nights at this hotel to get in one good day of sightseeing. It's very convenient to public transport. The 76A bus gets you to the underground station and from there everything is accessible using trams, busses, and subway. I recommend getting a transit pass for however long you will be there. It works on all the various modes of transport. The room was large by European standards and the bathroom was very spacious with a tiled, glassed in shower. The bed was very comfortable and not too low to the ground. The room had a small refrigerator that cooled our OJ and beer adequately. I don't think the central heat and air worked, or it didn't work correctly. I only noticed because housekeeping closed the window and I didn't notice until the room heated up overnight. What I consider a real plus is that there is a Lidl grocery right next to hotel front door. It was very economical to get fresh rolls and orange juice there for a quick, inexpensive breakfast. For ease of getting around (via public transport) without the traffic and parking problems of the old city, this Best Western is a great choice.

"Okay but a few concerns"
SteveBurt222, 16 Septembre 2018

Good sized rooms, living area with TV and kettle and safe, reasonable bathroom with shower and bedroom with tv very large comfortable bed. Room was serviced every day. Bad points, 1 teabag (fruit) 1 coffee and unbelievable 1 tissue in box (all week) toiletries in push button dispenser on wall, both TV's (only 1 remote) with (yes you guessed it) only 1 English speaking channel (CNN). I was a little concerned that reception was in the centre of the hotel allowing easy access to all rooms direct from the street, cctv camera on door but could very easily be bypassed. Reception staff I found to be very stuffy, which may be the Austrian way, but they were hard work (language culture or attitude?). Asked them to confirm my research on directions for a visit to the zoo, the reception staff told me I was wrong and gave different advice, which I queried and felt kind of told off. Needless to say she directed us fairly far from the zoo and I returned using my route which was a good 20 minutes closer. Hotel is about 2km from the centre, but excellent public transport links to everywhere. 74A bus stops outside, U3 orange line nearby 4 short stops from centre. (Buy ticket from tabac shop, validate ticket at station if required) Lidl supermarket next door and several others close. A few restaurants within walking distance. 6th floor spa is adequate and it appears nude is the expected dress. If you do not have breakfast as part of the deal, they ask €15 per person per day!! (McDonald's is a lot cheaper) I did not feel that the staff were focused on the guests experience, unhelpful and condescending. This hotel is clean, comfortable and functional but did not feel, in anyway welcoming and For this reason alone I would not stay here again. Travel around the world almost monthly and never usually give a negative review, but Best Western bossed need to go on undercover boss again as it is lacking the little things that make a big difference. 3 to 4 star hotel with 1star service.

"Perfect hotel for us"
Q6840RTtomc, 10 Septembre 2018

We travel by train, arriving at the central train station and this hotel is very easy to reach via the U1 red line on the metro. It's located a few stops from the center of Vienna, located right next to the Prater Amusement Park at the Praterstern metro stop. It's just a 5 or 10 minute walk to the metro station. You can easily reach all sections of Vienna by metro. We purchased a 7 day metro ticket that cost about the same as a 3 day pass, for our 4 days in Vienna and used it over and over again day after day. Great bargain. The hotel is in a quiet neighborhood with schools and little businesses all around. The hotel staff was pleasant and helpful, the rooms clean and spacious, the breakfast had all the normal choices. Our group of 6 were glad we found this hotel.

"very good hotel"
Nazik N, 31 Juillet 2018

we bookek the hotel for one night for 70 eoro and it was the cheapst hotel we had in our long stay in austria we get big room.and it was nice and elegant marcus the reception manger was so understanding and hopful the hotel is bit far from the city but we get to the city by wakling and there was abus so it was not anissue-A74

"A very good hotel"
Michelle D, 28 Juillet 2018

We stayed in Vienna at this hotel for about 3 days. The hotel has a good location near the Landstrauss area and you can easily avail buses. The room we were in was a little small but neat and clean. The bathroom was clean. My only grouse is that toilets don't have toilet showers attached. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of food items which were delicious. We had good internet access in our rooms. Reception staff were helpful.Overall stay was pretty enjoyable.

"Nice Location & Spacious Room"
Brendab72, 13 Juillet 2018

Large room with 2 sleeping areas and 2 TV's. It would have been nice to have a curtain or something to separate the areas better to keep the light out. Very responsive to a few problems we had with one of the TV's and needing more towels. Refrigerator was empty, but didn't keep things very cold and didn't have a freezer section. Floor was noisy to walk on like it was a hardwood floor. Great breakfast - large seating area. Easy to catch either a bus or tram to get to other areas of town. Took a little bit of time, but was worth it overall. Lots of grocery stores nearby, but they seem to close earlier than you would expect in a big city.

"Very good"
Florin M, 10 Juillet 2018

A very good hotel, quiet, clean room, friendly staff at the reception, rich breakfast for all tastes. The bus stop is right next to the hotel, and you can easily reach the nearest metro station.I recommend this hotel.

"Very comfortable hotel"
JeepMom05, 08 Juillet 2018

Enjoyed this hotel, which was updated and well-appointed. The receptionist was very helpful and spoke good English. We were hungry at night, and she said we could get a meal at the hotel next door, which was very good. The breakfast was very good. There are restaurants, and ATM and a grocery store within 3-5 blocks. I would stay here again.

"Affordable and Clean"
Chuck W, 27 Juin 2018

Stayed one night at this hotel and found the room to be very clean. It has one of the best shower heads and flow than any I've had in Europe. It was affordable and I'd stay here again if in the area. The room has a fridge and walkout patio. Parking is not included and is underground.

"Convenient"
Joyce S, 23 Juin 2018

The hotel was very clean and was suitable for what we wanted. The breakfast was adequate but I would just use the hotel as a base as there are plenty of cafes and bars that serve really good food close by. Local bus service just outside hotel was good to use to get into the centre of Vienna. Have a stop at the markets and sample really good food from all over the world. The transport system is what you expect in Europe - frequent and on time. Overall a good base hotel with excellent connections to the beautiful sights of Vienna

"Good Decent Hotel "
AMitra2014, 20 Juin 2018

We stayed there for 2nights, checking in very late on the first day. After the long flight & transfer from airport we were very tired, it was good to see the check in was very smooth and we promptly got our rooms. Rooms were quite big comfortable and clean. Since its a chain hotel you may find big groups but that was not much of a problem. Location was quite nice, there's a departmental store just adjoining the hotel building “Lidl” along with some nice restaurants and pizza corners. If I remember correctly the hotel serve only breakfast for both lunch & dinner you have to check outside , but it will not be a problem as you will find the small pizza & beer outlet just adjoining the hotel entrance & surprisingly they will serve you the inside the hotel restaurant area. Breakfast was nice with a decent spread. Over all a happy experience.

"Not suitable for independent travellers."
stoffergreen, 18 Juin 2018

This place deals mostly with coach parties. We stayed for 2 nights in a reasonably adequate room. But staff service is laughable. For example on our first night one of our bed side lights didn't work and needed a new bulb. I asked for a replacement but was given one which was the wrong size. I went back to Reception and the woman had no idea what to do. I asked her to let me take a bulb from one of the nearby lights, which she agreed to do. On leaving 2 days later no one had managed to replace that bulb (3 metres from Reception ). We were very wary of one of the 2 lifts - it had a groaning problem with door opening, one day it won't open at all. Breakfast was huge but of very poor quality, with large parties of people all needing to eat as much as possible before their coaches arrived. Travel into the city is fine for hardy walkers or for someone who can buy bus tickets and use the 74a bus. But you can't buy tickets on the bus or in the hotel. We walked in to town to buy them. But many won't be able to. I could go on. Vienna is wonderful, but there must be some good alternative hotels for the same price.

"THIRD AND MAIN HOTEL IN OUR TRIP TO SEE ANDRE RIEU IN THE STADT HALLE"
Barneyb69, 15 Juin 2018

Very good reception but rushed due to the number of people checking in. 37 on our coach alone. Hotel situated in a busy main road about a mile from the city centre. Our room 316 was very clean, spacious and comfortable and the windows minimised the traffic noise in the street considerably. That said the A/C in the room which was individually controlled was not very efficient. It was around midnight and opening the window before the tempreature really came down. We stayed in this hotel for four nights. Tea and coffee making facilities were provided. However we only ever got one sachet of 'English Tea' Had to beg the reception staff for more and they appeared very reluctant to oblige, On two occasions they sent Earl Grey tea.Fortunately the kettle worked and we brought some milk from the local Aldi store (next door). I still needed an adaptor to charge our phones. Paperwork with the room clearly stated the hotel would provide but the reception staff said this was not possible and that I should take a 10 minute bus ride into the centre to purchase one. I managed to borrow one from a companion. Thank you Dinah if you are reading this. The food in the hotel was of an acceptable standard but there was never a menu so on two occasions we ate out during the afternoon and skipped the evening meal. Franchised out catering not really in keeping with a hotel of this calibre. Didn't buy any of the wine on offer due to price E28.00. Overall the hotel experience here was one of tollerence by staff. I did not at any point feel we were welcome. Was this the Brexit effect?

"Dissapointment staying at such 4 stars hotel"
Lee K, 10 Juin 2018

There is no security at all at the hotel restaurant. We were having breakfast where we put wallet on the chair and get a cup of coffee. Within minutes, the wallet has been taken, hotel is not taking any real action to assist us. By viewing it's security footage, seems like is a professional which hotel is not taking any precautoin. We have to find way to make a police report which being refused. This hotel really need to make sure of the security is safe for tourist like us. It is really hassle for us in this trip. Such a shame

"Excellent Service Good Hotel"
Julie B, 18 Mai 2018

Staff excellent polite friendly. Looked after us really well. Rooms good value clean and spacious all the comfort you need. Breakfast had a wide selection. Will definitely stay again. Top marks highly

"Three nights in Vienna"
Kostas G, 16 Mai 2018

Was there for three nights, we had 2 double rooms with breakfast included, the hotel and the room were quite nice, the breakfast was very good too and also very near to the metro, bus and tram stations. The only thing that i disliked was that they didn't change our towels for three days, which i think it's unacceptable for a four star hotel, that's why my average rating.

"Three Night stay"
BobH625, 15 Mai 2018

We had nice double modern room with shower, and Air Con, clean and comfortable. The hotel is quite near to centre. Hot breakfast could be improved, but continental range good, and a great Coffee Machine. Evening meals for our group were disappointing. Surprised, to find anyone can access stairs and lifts, which are just on the left as you enter hotel, as there is no Keycard security which most hotels have, and Reception is further down corridor. Staff were friendly and helpful, but not all spoke English.

"?????????? Very spacious and close to tram stop"
weiningl2014, 22 Mars 2018

????????????????????(Vienna Bio Center St.Marx)?????????????????????????????????????check in?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Only 10 mins walk from train station if you depart from VIE international airport, and 3 mins to tram stop which is quite important to us. Room is spacious but the original room we should've got had someone doing maintenance when we walked in; not sure why the front desk didn't know that. It took us a little bit extra time to get another room scheduled but all was fine and taken care of.

"a pleasant stay"
Parveen B, 04 Mars 2018

we stayed there for two nights. The room is very spacious and neat with modern furnishings. very convenient for public transport. Most of the tourist attractions are in walking distance. good super market and restaurants are nearby.

"Fantastic!"
nowvoyager22, 20 Février 2018

What a find! Modern, spotless hotel, well appointed, about 20 mins walk from the city centre. Friendly, efficient staff who speak good English. Huge delicious breakfasts, perfect for a substantial start to the day. Bus stops and a supermarket outside the hotel: so convenient. Can't think of a thing that didn't meet our needs. A winner!

"Almost a 5 star hotel "
FervieHeart, 11 Février 2018

Service was fantastic. Especially the woman at the reception (of Greek roots). Rooms were fabulous and very comfortable. Breakfast was good enough and very tasty. Negatives: • rooms were not being cleaned. The cleaning ladies would just make the beds and change the towels. Coffee and tea sachets were replaced the second day and only. So we were left days with no coffee and tea in our room. Table was left with breadcrumbs and was not cleaned. • pillows - were so puffy that if you were to lye your head down, the pillow would puff down instantly. Due to the fact that I have pain issues with my neck, it was very hard to fall asleep with the pillows they had. Overall, it was a very comfortable and pretty.

"Very good accommodation "
oea04, 10 Février 2018

The hotel was very good .the hotel is in landstrabe area about 15 minutes from the center (u have take the bus outside the hotel and change with the metro line in landstrabe station)Also from there u can room the whole city cause there is a lot lines there included and taking to the airport .rooms were big ,luxurious and clean .bed was comfortable.the staff was professional and very kind ,especially the woman (Brazilian Greek ) that gave major help in any questions we had.the breakfast was very good but in similar hotels I have been ate much better breakfast .the variety of the breakfast needs a little beat upgrade . The accommodation was superb ,it deserves every penny .i definitely recommend it.(before u book search all the hotels bookings sites for the best offers -prizes are really different )!!!

"Recommend!"
Damarina, 24 Janvier 2018

I definitely recommend this hotel. Stayed here with my family for 2 nights. Additional bed for a kid free of charge. The room was specious are clean. Breakfast was great. WI-FI super fast. Location is a few bus stations from the city center. PLUS: hotel offers free of charge sauna on the 6th floor. P+R parking is 15minutes walk away. Only 3,40 euros per DAY!

"Good with one BIG problem"
pjl29, 21 Janvier 2018

Modern. Room clean* Good rooms. Hairdryer. Safe. Kettle in room. Etc. Friendly helpful staff on reception. Good plentiful buffet breakfast with good breakfast ladies on duty. But they play cover versions of Little Richard /Chuck Berry /Status Quo numbers every morning while you eat. Maybe it's to hurry people up? And this, in the city of Strauss/ Mahler / Mozart! Have they no idea? You can get a drink at the small bar by reception. This is not in the centre but we used public transport to access it, using a 7 day transport pass. Buses and trams connect to the metro or go into the city centre. You can get the best routes off the internet using the free WiFi. There is an Aldi, a bakery, a pizza takeaway all a few doors away, and a few restaurants nearby. *Problem: A dog-friendly policy leads to the only working lift in the building being soiled badly at about 10pm. The revolting smell is strong and sickening. It makes guests feel ill and as if they are going to vomit. The receptionist is unable to summon emergency help to deal with the problem. There are no emergency back up arrangements for this. Possibly the receptionist cannot sumon help to deal with other types of problems at times when s/he is on duty alone? This is a public health hazard. The hotel falls below acceptable European public health and safety standards when this happens. The city authorities should check and advise the hotel.

"Very nice hotel near to the center "
gpec, 17 Janvier 2018

We have been in Vienna for the Christmas holiday. We booked this hotel by the agency. It was a positive surprise. The family room was comfortable and spacious. Good cleaning. Very good breakfast with free cappuccino self service machines and wide selection . A couple of nice restaurants in proximity. A 10 minutes walk there is the kardinal-nagl metro station and Stephan platz is 3 or 4 stations distance. But with uber spending 5-6 euros you get to the Opera.

"Christmas Stay in Vienna"
EpicuriousMA, 03 Janvier 2018

We were a group of 2 families visiting Vienna for Christmas. We found the hotel to be a good value for the price. It's a basic hotel, decently decorated. The room sizes were fine - we had 2 regular rooms and 1 family room with 3 beds. We were trying to avoid having anyone sleep on a couch so this hotel appealed to us because the family rooms had additional beds, not pullout sofas. We also liked having the refrigerator and coffee/tea service with kettle. The staff was pleasant and accomodating. The hotel is not that close to the center of town but reasonably accessible via bus and tram. Plus as other reviewers mentioned, there are a number of grocery stores near the hotel. There are also some restaurants nearby. The negatives were: - lack of toilettries - soap was liquid attached to the wall and for the shower, it was a soap/shampoo combo attached to the wall. Would've been nice to have some conditioner and even a lotion. - hair dryer was a wall attached unit that could dry decently well but not with much power. - would've been helpful to have snacks in a vending machine. Plus the drinks vending machine ran out of water and was not refilled. - only 2 free small shelves for clothes (unless you placed items on the top shelf which was too high for a number in our group). No drawers. - we turned down the temperature as low as it could go but it was still overly warm in the room. We ended up cracking the windows open throughout the night to keep the room at a decent temparature as none of us liked sleeping in hot rooms. - pillows had feathers and triggered some allergic reactions. We did not ask for hypoallergenice pillows because we realized the cause of the allergies towards the end of the stay. - no gluten free offerings at breakfast. The staff gave me a blank, confused look when I asked if they had gluten free offerings.

"Short break in November"
Franco , 26 Décembre 2017

Excellent placed hotel, a 20 minute walk to the centre of the city and in close proximity to shops and restaurants. Clean and comfortable rooms. Very good breakfast and helpful staff. Rooms have ironing and coffee making facilities.

"Great little find"
airbusa340, 24 Décembre 2017

Need a night in Vienna as a stop gap whilst driving from london to Budapest. I booked 3 rooms for 1 night to accommodate 9 of us. 5 of our party arrived an hour or so before us as they had driven from Hungary to join us in Vienna. They were able to check in and have their rooms before we arrived which was great. Check in was very swift and all questions about Vienna and travelling around were answered by a very friendly guy on reception. Our rooms on the 2nd floor very very clean, comfortable and modern. No complaints what so ever. We ventured out in the early evening to the Christmas markets and had a lovely time. Once back at the hotel, everyone slept well. The beds were very comfortable indeed. My room 2x adults and 2x Kids was very large comprising of a large king bed and a large sofa bed in a separate section. The room had a safe, fridge and 2 flatscreen TVs. The bathroom was great and spotless. The shower/bath had strong hot water. In the morning we had breakfast at the hotel which was very good. Usual buffet style but the choices were good and the food was fresh and tasty. After breakfast we checked out but opted to leave the cars in the hotel Car park which was not a problem. We left our luggage in the car but there is the option to leave your bags in a safe storage room should you wish. After a few hours sightseeing around Vienna we returned to the hotel to collect our cars and continue our journey to Hungary. The hotel is situated away from the city but only buy a few minutes. This reflects the cheaper price but there a busses that stop out side the property and the nearest metro station is an 8-10 minute walk away. Overall, we liked this hotel very much and would definitely stay here again.

"We would stay here again."
Alan C, 11 Décembre 2017

A few minutes from centre by bus (74A) but in a great location to explore the non-multi-national shops which line the Landstraßer Hauptstrasse. Especially for one who dislikes shopping, this is at least, different and interesting! Hotel was comfortable and warm, although bar area lacked atmosphere. Breakfast was super. Staff friendly, check-in fast and efficient, rooms comfortable and the hotel was well-priced. We will be back.

"Lovely hotel"
gypoenid, 23 Novembre 2017

I spent a couple of lovely nights at this hotel on a B&B basis. My room was lovely, light and airy and even though my room overlooked the busy street, I heard no noise at all. The bathroom was well equipped and spotless. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room, and a safe. The breakfast choices were excellent and it was buffet style. The staff at the hotel were all lovely and polite. For me the best part was, that at one side of the hotel was a Lidl store and at the other side was an Aldi. There were excellent transport links to and from the city centre.

"Nice hotel "
Svein D, 10 Novembre 2017

The hotel is located at the end of the shopping street Landstraßer Hauptstraße. The connection to the city center is preferably the 10 minutes by bus 74A which departs 8 times an hour on weekdays, 6 on Saturdays and Sundays. The hotel is spacey, kept in red and black colors. There are two elevators with good capacity. You don't go through the lobby to get to the rooms, and you can keep your key card when you are in the city. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There is an empty refrigerator in the room where you can keep the food you bought in one of the two nearby grocery stores. The breakfast buffet is OK with hot dishes. I missed herring and gluten-free bread. I will definitely recommend this hotel to other tourists.

"Nice stay at BW Amedia"
Ranija, 06 Novembre 2017

I stayed here for 3 days in November on a business trip and I am glad I chose this hotel. The rooms are spacious, with nice bathroom and fresh towels every day. Big room means a lot when you are travelling with few suitcases, and this one had sleeping and living area separated, which is very convenient. the room also had a large terrace with seating area which was great for morning coffee. Breakfast was good with nice selection. I do not eat meat, so I had to request my eggs to be prepared separately, since the ones served were with bacon, but the staff was very polite and prepared eggs for me each morning. Location is a bit far from the downtown Vienna, but I love walking around Vienna so this was not a problem for me. I would recommend this hotel and will be my choice next time I visit Vienna.

"Ticked all the boxes for us."
dmk37, 22 Octobre 2017

Booked this hotel for our recent stay in Vienna. It's a little out from the city centre but with excellent transport links. I often go for a hotel that's not in the heart of the tourist areas as I think you get a better deal and definately win when it comes to eating out. Both of which were true this time. Room was a good size and clean. We found the room quite warm overnight but the air con was a bit noisy to have on all night. We left the windows open all day til bedtime and this helped a lot. Breakfast was included in our deal and there was a good selection to choose from. Receptionists were very helpful. The only slightly negative comment I would make is that the tea/coffee facilities in the room was poor. One fruit tea and one chocolate powder and two tiny milk pods. I just took a couple of breakfast teabags each morning from the dining room and some fresh milk. The cleaner only made the beds and emptied bin each day nothing else. Definately wouldn't stop me staying again or looking at the other best western hotels in the city. Lidl next door to hotel. Aldi along the road a little and another supermarket across the road. Bus tram and subway all nearby.

"Bad service"
Hawazen A, 20 Octobre 2017

We've stayed 4 nights at this hotel , the room was big yet poorly furnished , we've arrived 11 am after a very long flight although we have pre requested early check in we could'nt get the room until after 12 , the breakfast was below average and the location of the hotel is way far from the main tourist attraction areas. Not friendly staff. I woudnt book this hotel again

"Nice Hotel"
Pixie2320, 16 Octobre 2017

Lovely clean room we were 3 adults in one room it was big enough for us threre is Lidl next to hotel and other shops around we took the train from the airport and it was only a ten minute walk to the hotel public transport is very easy and walking around was the best way to see things we would stay here again.

"Recomended"
Andrew J. S, 11 Octobre 2017

Stayed one night in this hotel. Classy hotel in central Vienna with spacious and comfortable rooms. Extremely helpful staff and very nice receptionist welcoming us. On the downside we booked an extra bed and were not provided with coffee sachets, bed linen and towels for the extra person. To be fair we didn't complain because we only stayed one night. Might have been easily resolved if we asked.

"Excellent!"
Sandros68, 01 Octobre 2017

Very clean and comfortable room, tasty breakfast, comfortable mattresses, good location, quiet and central. Strongly recommend - good price to quality ratio. A lot of small caffees and resraurants nearby.

"Good quality and clean Hotel."
Gunter B, 28 Septembre 2017

Large convienient rooms & good location for walking to shopping areas and to public transport lines. If you don't want to wake up early in the morning, locate the don't disturb sign and put it on the outside door handle. If you don't, the cleaning crew will wake you up early ! Free cancellation of your booking until 18.00 h possible. Very friendly & helpful reception staff.

"Excellent hotel"
slobodan s, 22 Septembre 2017

I spent few days on my business trip, and I have good experiences. The hotel location is very good, close to the bus station for bus which go to the city center. The hotel staff is very helpful, breakfast is excellent and variety. The room is comfortable and very clean. For relax and of the day guests have a sauna available.

"Fantastic Hotel"
Tmax44, 20 Septembre 2017

Deceiving frontage but a spacious, classy hotel once inside. Extremely 'Art Deco' with modernistic paintings in the foyer, even an atrium (an open area in the foyer). Dogs are also welcomed which is a great plus! The lifts were large and quick, and the seating areas were very modern and comfortable The breakfast/dining room was spacious with a superb selection of tasty breakfast foods. Coaches can pull up directly outside so luggage handling into the hotel is minimal. The staff are helpful and friendly and the good-sized rooms are clean and with attractive decor. There are many trams in the area to get into the centre and the reception staff will advise on which trams will get you where you want. The hotel is in a street with other shops and there is a Lidls Supermarket two doors away! We were sorry to have to leave this hotel after two nights. Highly recommended.

"Clean, comfortable and ideally located!"
luuluukitty, 10 Septembre 2017

We stayed here in early September for four nights. We were in room 425 which was overlooking the back of the hotel so was lovely and quiet. The room was spacious, modern and spotless. There was a safe that was free to use, free WiFi and the beds were so so comfortable. The breakfast was just right. There is a Lidl and a Spar very near the hotel and we would recommend the italian 'That's Amore', 'Gasthaus Sagmeister' (delicious schnitzel) and the Indian Satraj. All within an easy walk from the hotel. We would definitely stay here again and recommend our to others.

"Vienna visit"
Josie W, 09 Septembre 2017

The hotel is not very well located for access to Vienna centre....there were no decent bar facilities and no dining facilities at all apart from breakfast. Breakfast provided was more than adequate with something for everyone's tastes. It's somewhere to accept for a couple of nights rather than somewhere that's going to thrill you.

"Excellent"
shahber70, 30 Août 2017

We stayed for 4 nights in Aug2017. The hotel is centrally located near to city center with access to public transport. There are couple of super markets near to the hotel. Indian, Turkish doner kebabs and couple of viennese restaurant are available at walking diatance. The hotel pricing is very competitive. Overall excellent choice.

"Comfortable Vienna Hotel"
Joe S, 20 Août 2017

Stayed at this hotel in mid August. A very decent hotel with spacious and clean rooms with air condition. We spent 3 nights here. Hotel's staff is very friendly and kind. The hotel is situated in a calm area of Vienna, but still close to stores, tourist attractions and center of the city. Bus and Metro stations are near and so it's easy to explore the city. We preferred walking to the centre. It takes about three quarters of an hour to walk to the centre. The hotel offers a good range of food for breakfast. However tea and coffee supplies in the room were not topped up during stay. Wifi access is very good and strong. On the whole a very good hotel. To be recommended.

"Good rooms, but that's it"
scba1095, 13 Août 2017

Decent affordable hotel with clean, spacious rooms with air condition and a mini-fridge. Lacks catering facilties, but there are some places within walking distance where you can get food. The service is nothing to brag about, really, but then again, from my experience, it seems like service is not that great anywhere in Vienna. I also got to question how often they change the bedsheets, because my boyfriend had managed to injure himself slightly and there was a visible bloodstain on his sheets, but they were not changed for the remainder of our stay. While I do not think it is necessary to change sheets too often (for environmental reasons), I was surprised that they did not change them when they were obviously bloodied.

"Vienna Hotel during summer"
mtj0, 12 Août 2017

August family holiday in Vienna. In general the hotel was good Hotel is located on transport routes (10 minute walk to U Bahn, 2 minutes to Bus stop) and within walking distance of the Belvedere palace. So it was reasonably well located, if not the most beautiful area of the city. The local area and in general Vienna was safe. The hotel (and room) was satisfactory and deserving of its stars, albeit functional. Staff were in general friendly and helpful. There were several good local restaurants including an Indian Cuisine restaurant and Irish pub, although the 'Paolo' restaurant is not recommended with poor service and it was overpriced. On the negative side, at times room service required reminding to exchange towels, replace coffee saches and provide sufficient bed linen.

"Good accommodation though lacking catering facilities on site"
execrusader, 05 Août 2017

Stayed two nights as part of a Newmarket Holidays tour. Rooms nice and clean and of good size though tea and coffee supplies not topped up during stay. Best to avoid rooms on top floor during hot weather as air conditioning unable to cope- got moved to another room as original room temp was over 32 when we went into it.. Good range of food for breakfast though perhaps could do with another coffee machine (though the coffee itself was very good). Good location with easy public transport access to city centre and several nice restaurants located nearby which help make up for no catering apart from breakfasts.

"Vienna weekend"
AlexandraK3, 05 Août 2017

We spent 2 nights here. Hotel is nice and clean, staff is friendly and kind. The thing I liked most is location. It is situated in calm area of Vienna, but still close to stores, tourist attractions and center of the city. Bus and Metro stations are near, so it's easy to explore the city. Vienna is beautiful, especially in Christmas season. Places that I liked most are Albertina Museum and Museum of History of Art. Visit to these two museum will be pure joy for art lovers.

"Nice clean rooms, lacking basis services "
DanG421, 23 Juillet 2017

When we arrived room was clean and looked nice. Bathroom was large and above average. Beds were adequate in comfort but I had requested two twins but was not fixed until a complaint was made. Also did not receive house keeping after the first night until we complained. Those are basic services that were not met. Reception showed no compassion, however the maid did. Location was not great, but was good value for the price paid.

"A Good Modern Hotel"
Ian S, 20 Juillet 2017

We stayed at the Best Western Plus Amedia Hotel in Vienna for 2 nights as part of a Newmarket Holidays tour. Our room (617) was a good size with comfortable bed, free safe, fridge, with tea & coffee facilities. The room is situated at the rear with views of trees, other buildings, and cranes in the skyline. The breakfast had quite a good selection. On our first morning in the spacious dining area it was quite noisy (like a works canteen). However the food was very good with enough variety to suit most guests. There was no provision for evening meals in the hotel unfortunately. We found it quite difficult to find any suitable café or restaurant in the vicinity of the hotel. The hotel staff were very helpful and efficient. Overall, a nice modern hotel with all the room facilities you need. Enjoyed a very pleasant stay.

"modern , clean, comfortable"
lesley1944, 12 Juillet 2017

although some way from the centre of vienna this hotel was well run with spacious bedrooms, wartime, free wifi which worked wetl and a fridge and tea making facilities. breakfast was varied with good selection of food and drink, carefully laid out in a spacious dining room. Our room was on the front of the hotel overlooking the street..we heard no traffic noise and enjoyed very good sleep here. there is small Lidl next door with excellent prices.staff were friendly and room spotless.

"Good value for money"
Simon R, 11 Juillet 2017

This hotel is situated about 1 mile from St Stephen's Cathedral. We stayed on the 2nd floor at the front of the hotel (facing the street). The street noise was significant and necessitated keeping our windows closed. Notwithstanding this, we enjoyed our stay. The room was spacious and modern with good facilities including comfortable beds and tea/coffee-making facilities. The hotel served a good healthy and cosmopolitan breakfast with plenty of variety. There are a good number of restaurants in the vicinity to suit most tastes. We would go there again but would ask for a room at the rear of the hotel.

"Very Comfortable"
Chalotte_6, 11 Juillet 2017

Modern, clean and with air conditioning. We had a room for 3 adults. There was plenty of space and it had a fridge plus tea/coffee making facilities. The bathroom was a good size and contained a bath with very efficient shower. There was plenty of choice at breakfast. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is situated about 30 minutes walking from the centre. However we used Uber taxis a lot and they were excellent. Cost €4 or €5 euros for 3 adults to or from the centre. Very easy to book.

"A nice hotel but far away from city center"
Ariel K, 10 Juillet 2017

The hotel is very nice and clean. Breakfast is rich enough and there is a good variety. The hotel is far from city center and it is about 50 minutes by foot. So, if location and night life are important for you, you may consider a more close to the center hotel.

"Good, Modern Hotel"
David G, 04 Juillet 2017

We stayed two nights here. The hotel is a little removed from the tourist attractions making a taxi or the tube useful. It is well equipped with adequate rooms. Breakfast is good, once you accept that this will always mean several varieties of sausage. The restaurant did not appear to offer an evening meal. Fortunately, there are restaurants nearby, although not a huge choice. The staff are helpful with good English and there are several shops in the immediate vicinity.

"Good location pleasant staff"
VeronicaStokeontrent, 02 Juillet 2017

3rd country on our tour, 3rd hotel. Good location for 20 minute walk into the city centre. There are supermarkets and restaurants within easy walking distance. There is a Lidl next door to the hotel. We ate at an Indian restaurant on the corner a few yards from hotel also ate at an italian just up the road on the same side as the hotel both were very nice. Rooms are nice, not really spacious but adequate for our stay. Bathroom is very small but very nice, had shower but no bath.We even had tea and coffee making facilities which we were so thankful for. Staff here were the most pleasant we have met on this tour so far. Breakfast included was ok, filtered coffee was good.

"Good situation but average"
Angela H, 24 Juin 2017

Travelled as part of a large group to stay four nights here. Large room and welcome air conditioning as very hot when there. Food only average with one night totally unacceptable . This was luckily remedied by our travel reps but I would think due to size of our party the chef was utterly overwhelmed and not used to his requirements. There are ample bars and restaurants close by. The facilities were kept clean and staff in bar at front of hotel we frequented were lovely. It's on a busy street and noise is to be expected. Our room faced the street. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was fine. Local transport close too.

"Had the misfortune of staying here"
hmkanji, 21 Juin 2017

Had the bad luck of being put up here by the Amano Grand Central when they sold out of their hotel and rudely bumped me out. They told me the Best Western was an upgrade from their hotel. Not. They said it was more expensive. The hotel wasnt that nice inside. There was a big stain on the carpet. At the Amano I had a king bed. Here I had two twins mashed together. Garbage "products" in the shower. Basically one squirt on liquid for everything. Eventually I found some lotion. I asked for an iron in the morning. It took forever to get one sent up. I had to call no less than five times. The only good thing I could say was the internet was fast. I'd avoid this hotel. And I'd 100% avoid the Amano chain of hotels.

"Very good standard"
macarie, 18 Juin 2017

I liked The hotel very much. Nice rooms, ambiance, comfort. Very close to center area and you have cafes nearby. If you are a smoker there are terraces for you :) I would recommend it for business or pleasure . Thanks!

"WELL LOCATED AND GOOD VALUE"
billdurningntlwo2017, 13 Juin 2017

Rooms average but clean and modern. Tv and all the usual but no coffee/tea facility. the breakfast was excellent and offered sufficient variety. Staff good and efficient. the hotel is well placed to join the nearby transport links which take you into town and there are more than enough shops and Restruants within walking distance. overall a good value for money alternate to the mega bucks city centre prices

"Great Hotel"
Miguel T, 21 Mai 2017

The hotel is very nice! Same street of Mitte Station... just take a bus and 5 minutes you get there! Or you can also walk few blocks if you take the subway. Comfortable; quite and a good breakfast. There are a lot of supermarkets close to the hotel.

"Nothing to complain about"
Enric A, 03 Mai 2017

A nice and large room, very well isolated with ZERO NOISE (this is really appreciated), breakfast pretty good and fast-working wifi. Zero problems. It is true that its far from the center, but being my 11th time in Vienna I know pretty well how to move around. St Marx Station is 7 stops from the airport and connect you with line 1; Tram 71 or bus 74 move you around. As I travel for work, under a stupid regulation which has not updated the allowed prices for hotels since 2002, each work visit to Vienna I have to move farther away from the center. The Amedia was a nice finding and I may try to book again next year.

"Clean and comfortable stay"
christina R r, 02 Mai 2017

The hotel is located just off tram and metro lines, making it very convenient to get around. Staff was helpful with giving information, or explaining how to get to things. Room was clean and comfortable. Only suggestion would be to have a bathroom door that closes completely, rather than a sliding one- Breakfast was great- definitely opt for it-

"Good sized accommodation in a modern block hotel"
AnomBucks, 01 Mai 2017

The smaller rooms a larger than average, modern, well serviced - like many worldwide. Good walk-in showers and tea facilities. Tip - Ask for a quiet room at rear of hotel. Location is not central but, local buses, trams and underground easily available. The staff are friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast is adequate. The bar and restaurant are functional and you would want to eat out in the evening. If you do your research prior to your visit there are some good local restaurants and the city centre is not that far away. We were a goup of 38 and and we selected this hotel on £value and because finding hotel accommodation in Vienna can be difficult at times. We had the benefit of a private bus for our daytime excursions.

"Disappointing!"
minalichablani, 26 Avril 2017

The hotel is situated in a very lonely area. There are only a few restaurants around. The breakfast in the hotel was just average and service was nothing exceptional. Quite disappointing. Could be better.

"Fantastico lovely hotel"
misscarolebignellb, 20 Avril 2017

Lovely clean hotel fairly easy to find once we got our bearings from metro. Very friendly staff on reception we emailed about a few things before we arrived so helpful when we got there too helped us with all of our queries and directions thank you so much made our stay very welcome. Metro to connections allover vienna close by and easy to use even from the airport, city centre close by too stephensplatz most central we found . The room was Amazing the bed was comfortable the facilities very stylish lovely. The food was amazing breakfast had so much variety yummy loved it Made our stay very enjoyable this was our third visit here we went 4/03/17 lovely weather a slight chill at night but sunny days a little shower of rain once over the weekend but we still got to see all the sights even popped on a coach to bratislava an hour away from airport my boyfriend & I will recommend this hotel to our family and friends we would come back again in the near future we both have a soft spot for vienna thanks again you guys keep up the good work :-)

"Very good"
Imre M, 15 Avril 2017

We visited Vienna in 2016 December just before Chritmas period. We chose this hotel because they offered a fair price for a double room, breakfast included. Although it is not in the city center, the metro station is very close and it is easy to reach every part of the city. Clean room, good service and tasty breakfast! We were very pleased!!!

"Amazing!!! :) "
DaniLouise2112, 14 Avril 2017

Loved this hotel, so clean and tidy, lovely staff. It was my boyfriend's birthday on the day we arrived and I had arranged for loads of decorations to go up in the room, the staff were so helpful and assured me the decorations would be in place. When we arrived the room looked great!! Good location too, only a ten minute walk from a tube station and lots of restaurants close by if needed. The room service staff were more than accommodating and with a great sense of humour too! If in Vienna again, we would definitely stay here, 100%. Don't hesitate, just book!!!!!

"Good choice for a family trip"
Nikayeen, 07 Avril 2017

We stayed there for 3 nights. The location is not the best but ok. You reach the city center with a 25 minutes walk. The bus stop is right in front of hotel and there are 2 subway stations nearby and believe me; public transportation in Vienna is very great and convenient. It is very clean even in my wife's strict scale, and staff are good and helpful. We didn't try breakfast because we've heard breakfast and cafe are kind of a tradition in Vienna and it's true. I recommend to eat your breakfast in old Vienna's cafes. The bar is not special but ok for a relaxation at the end of day. And at last I should tell a strange thing: In the morning of our last stay, somebody knocked the door at 7:30, hangover from last night and almost sleepwalking I opened the door and I met a tall blonde attractive lady. She said a couple of sentences in German with a very nice tune, I don't speak German so I looked at her in a long silence and the only thing came out from my mouth was this: "Isn't it too soon for check out?" She said some more German sentences and left! I'm still wondering who she was and what she said.

"Real vacation"
Jelena Ž, 27 Mars 2017

The room was very quiet, we could hear bird singing outside. Large double bed so our 2 years old daughter could sleep between us with no problem. Great buffet breakfest. Good position, you have 1,5 km from P+R parking where you can leave your car for a good price.

"Well run operation with everything a business person needs"
Pete C, 23 Mars 2017

This hotel was a pleasant surprise, everything just worked and the services and amenities were great. The breakfast is a professional-level breakfast with a lot of choices to select from. Thank-you to Sara and the ladies at the front desk, who all contributed to making my time at the hotel a 5 star stay.

"It's definitely not a 4 stars standard "
Michelle A, 18 Mars 2017

We had a two nights stay in this hotel. The first night we found out that the bathroom was very smelly, then I made a call to the reception, it was around 22:00, but I was waiting on the phone for almost 20 mins, at the end I have to took a walk to the reception because nobody was in the reception. I found out this because I met the reception guy in the elevator. The room and the bed is ok, but the bathroom is not so clean, I would expect more if it stands it's a 4 star hotel. The breakfast is poor, since there are not so many choices. However the location is nice, it's located on the Main Street, and near to supermarket, restaurants, and the public bus station etc, the staffs on the reception are also nice.

"Excellent Connectivity"
RakhiBardeja, 17 Mars 2017

Nice Hotel, Clean, very well connected to Metro, took us 35min to the airport via St. Marx station. Bus stop within 50 mts , 10 min bus ride to the center of the city. Worth taking Vienna City pass, if you are travelling with a kid. The bus drops you right at the stadtpark. Hotel is 10 min away from the city center. Surrounded by supermarkets.

"Liked it ??"
Marina C, 12 Novembre 2016

Close to city centre, staff is friendly and great hotel for that price. Nice, comfy and clean hotel. The room was spacious and clean and simply furnished. Free and great Wifi connection.Good value for the money, for sleeping when doing Vienna by day.

"Ver good experince in Vienna"
vacante123, 07 Novembre 2016

Nice hotel with very helpful staff, very clean room with comfortable bed. The supplementary bed was a real bad, not a couch. Very to reach the U3 subway, 5 minutes walk to the station and 4 station to the center of the city

"Perfect stay in Vienna! "
Teresa K, 25 Octobre 2016

I very rarely rate a Hotel as 5 stars but the Best Western Plus Amedia Wien deserves it. The location was great, not too close to the busy city centre but within easy reach of all the main sights. We usually took the 74A bus either to St. Marx station to get to/from the airport or in the opposite direction to Landstrasse station which has all the transport links you need. There is also a Lidl supermarket right next door to the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was kept very clean. This is always impressive to me. We had breakfast included which was very good, enough variety to cater for everybody, whether you like fruit and pastries or more of an 'English' breakfast. And finally the rooms. We were absolutely in love with our room which was for 4 people. One kingsize bed and a sofa bed that was comfortable to sleep on. The decor was lovely and modern. The bathroom was nice and big. When we first arrived, we honestly didn't even want to leave the room to go to dinner! Would definitely recommend this hotel for a stay in beautiful Vienna.

"FOR BASIC NEEDS"
swallow2, 22 Octobre 2016

I spent 3 nights at this hotel during my business trip to Vienna. It is a modern, clean place with a friendly supportive staff. The rooms are small but there is everything you may need in a short trip, a tea-pot including. The breakfast is nice and served early, starting from 6.30. The only problem I found was a tiled floor in the corridors. It means that it is very nosy and you fully depend on the neighbours' behaviour. Another important tip, some people write that it is quite far from the metro station, it may seem so if you go from Pratrstertn, but there is another station of the same Red Line - Vorgartenstasse, which is very close to the hotel. I can recommend this place for a short stay.

"Comfortable hotel"
aliKish_Iran, 16 Octobre 2016

We stayed two nights at Hotel. Clean hotel with modern design and good facilities make your stay more cozy . Hotel staff were friendly and warm and give good tips to us. Although the hotel isn't located in the old town, you can reach there easily by bus . The breakfast was various and delicious .The only problem seemed arrangement adjacent room from the balcony of the first floor rooms had access to next rooms. In general, I suggest the Amedia hotel to my friends.

"Strictly for budget travellers "
KamalJonwal, 15 Octobre 2016

Had stayed twice in this hotel in September since my favourite and convenient Hilton was full so were many others. Located on Landstrasse Hauptstrasse this hotel is strictly for those who are on budget. The staff at reception was friendly and check in was smooth. Rooms were spacious with minimal and pleasant decor. They offer free wifi and sauna. Not sure whose fault it was but my breakfast inclusion was not updated but the staff happily added when I had shown my confirmation from booking.com. The buffet breakfast was just OK. The room has a fridge but no mini bar. There is a cafe at the basement which I didn't use. Laundry is not collected or delivered at room. What turned me completely off was the fact that my room wasnt cleaned a single day. This place is around 3 kms away from city centre. The prices are lower than hotels closer to city center making it a good choice for budget travellers. Please carry your own toileteries as you won't get anything beyond a get that is filled in the dispenser placed next to wash basin n shower.

"Very unfortunate experience!"
Beatriz M, 09 Octobre 2016

The mother of a very good friend was stolen at the breakfast room inside the Hotel yesterday morning October 8, 2016. It was their first breakfast in Vienna, she put her backpack in her chair and went to pick up the coffee and bread from the buffet , when she came back it disappeared! No one noticed, the other two ladies in the same table and none of the four persons at the neighboring table...it was stolen, money, credit card, passport, mobile telefon plus normal glasses and sun glasses. What did the hotel do? NOTHING!!! We have a foto of the police bulletin, if necessary!

"5 days Vienna visit"
Charles H, 07 Octobre 2016

This hotel is quite comfortable, quite, well located (near public transportation, reataurants and groceries). Breakfast is okay except that the staff is always late in filling-up the buffet. They should be more pro-active and not to wait for complaints. The room was nice and big, good beds except that the room cleaning did not vacuum the floor during our 5 days stay and also once did not arrange the coach pillows. Therefore, a better supervision will help improve the quality of cleaning as well as the maintenance. In general I can recommend this hotel for your next trip to Vienna.

"Elegant clean hotel"
Brenda P, 05 Octobre 2016

Ultra modern decor. Very clean rooms. Close to bus stop. Close to restaurants and hop on hop off stops. Jasmine at the front desk was super helpful. She gave us written walking directions to st. Stephens cathedral & the main shopping strip. Also, what u-bahn to take to Madame Tussaud's. Strongly recommend this hotel

"Very Good Hospitality !"
AntonyP1970, 29 Septembre 2016

Very good place to stay , within reach to almost all destinations. Very near to Bus stations and trams. Good breakfast. Room was having separate beds , Kids really enjoyed that. Reception was simply excellent with their service and they helped us with all the information that we need.

"Comfortable and convenient"
Miguel P, 20 Septembre 2016

The room was clean and well isolated. My room was double with two small but comfortable beds. The shower works well with plenty of hot water, and lots of space. Breakfast is OK but could be improved. Good service overall.

"Amazing Location close to all attractions"
PrajaktaM, 11 Septembre 2016

This is more like a hostel property. The rooms were small and very basic but extremely clean. It was very close to 2 metro stations and starting point of the sightseeing bus tours. There were many restaurants closeby and was walking distance from the Vienna State Opera and shopping street. The only sad part was that the hotel would close its main gate around 11 (not sure about the time) and you can use your keys to open it.But one night we got stuck outside the hotel along with 6-7 other guests since the gate had jammed and refused to open. None of the staff are on duty in the night which is very strange. Fortunately after trying for about half an hour the gate did open. The breakfast spread was very good and worth the money. I would totally stay here again.

"Fantastic stay"
UKsmi88, 03 Septembre 2016

Great hotel for the price and location, only a short walk away from everything in Vienna. Hotel was clean and very quiet and the staff were friendly. Travelled with friends for a few days. Would recommend for a short city break

"Bad Managemnet"
Danielle D, 16 Août 2016

We booked our hotel from November 2015, with booking.com. Once we arrived to the hotel they told us that we didn't pay. So we had to call our bank in our country and to bring them the proof that we paid. After we bring them the proof, they said Ok you are right you paid. Once we arrived to our country after 5 days, they start calling us assuming that we didn't way, and they didn't find our payment. Bad management between booking.com and hotels. I will not any more with booking.com.

"Nice hotel"
dmk_chips, 12 Août 2016

We got the SBahn line 7 from airport to St Marx and then it is a short walk to the hotel. Much cheaper than the airport train. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and as our room was ready we were able to check in early. Room nice with aircon, wifi and we looked out to the courtyard - very quiet. We didn't have breakfast but coffee and tea in room and Lidl literally next door sell very cheap fresh pastries. You can walk to the underground Karl Nagel Platz quite close. But even better the 74 bus goes right past the hotel and stops at Ubahn stations Lansdstrasse and Stubentor where you can change. I would definitely stay here again. The only downside was the bar - we went there a few evenings - cheap enough - nice enough staff - but absolutely full of smoke. The whole tome we were there there was a guy chain smoking in the corner - I mean every night and the staff smoked in the bar too. I don't understand how in a civilised society it is deemed acceptable to smoke in a place where people are drinking/eating. I would stay here again though, just wouldn't use the bar.

"Good hotel"
Adrian T, 10 Août 2016

A clean hotel with good services, but the parking price it's a little expensive. The breakfast was very tasty and the internet connection was very good. I definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and I'll stay again next time, as guest.

"Very good value indeed!"
Leela555, 09 Août 2016

This hotel offers exceptional value for money in a reasonably central location, it's only 20/25 minute walk into the centre of Vienna. Our room was clean, spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. We had a room on the street side of the hotel but didn't hear any traffic (3rd floor). Air conditioning worked and wasn't particularly noisy. Shower was powerful but did soak the floor as the screen wasn't great but that's a tiny issue. We didn't opt for breakfast (15 Euros per person) as there is a Supermarket next door that sells fresh pastries/croissants and there are tea/coffee facilities in each room, the hotel staff were more than happy to provide us with extra tea and coffee sachets when we asked (I drink a lot of tea!). The staff were all very friendly and spoke excellent English. Would definitely recommend for a short break.

"Nice hotel, poor aircon"
BigManAbroad, 31 Juillet 2016

Nice hotel, conveniently situated about 10 minutes walk to the U-bahn. From there it's only 4 stops to Stephanplatz. The rooms were tidy and clean. As other reviewers have said, the air con is extremely poor. In our first room the thermostat would not go lower than 26 degrees. This essentially kept the room like a mini sauna and would have been very uncomfortable to sleep in. We complained about this to reception and they allowed us to change room. The other room was slightly better, but I think this was more due to the room being on the opposite side of the hotel and away from constant sun. I'd ask to swap room if you too find the air con keeps the room uncomfortably warm.

"Nice hotel to stay but not directly in the city centre"
FaHe, 31 Juillet 2016

It takes about 10 minutes by bus to get to the city centre of Vienna. The stuff was nice and the check in and check out was easy and really quick. There is a bus station right in front of the door which takes you directly to "Wien mitte". The breakfast was nice for starting the day.

"Average"
amanda121g, 28 Juillet 2016

The rooms here are nice and spacious. They were clean and the beds were very comfortable. The location is okay, about 35-40 minute walk to the opera house and about 10-15 minutes walk to the train station, which is very convenient and can quickly take you anywhere within the city. The front desk weren't super friendly, but overall nothing was bad.

"Nice hotel"
adirada74, 26 Juillet 2016

Very well situated, close enough of city centre (20 min walking) the hotel is very clean and confortable. We stayed there for one night. Staff were helpful but the parking were quite expensive, so we choose to use free parking on street.

"Pleaseant accomodation, quite and clean rooms. Definitely, I would recommend it to my friends."
Gihan H, 26 Juillet 2016

This is my second time to stay in the hotel and would be happy to stay again. Because the hotel is in great central location. Around the hotel are several restaurants and a couple of super markets, so you have everyting you want around the hotel if you arrive late and don't want to go to the city center immediately. The room is clean and the staff is very helpful.

"Great Stay, recommend !!!!"
miadaniella, 23 Juillet 2016

Everything was good there, the room was clean and tidy. The beakfast was very tasty, variety of food, nice Cheff, good WIFI. Stuff was good as well . The only thing that I need to mention that doesnt suit Best Western Chain is that I was not provided with toiletires... Otherwise Highly recommended !!!!! ????

"Average hotel"
Philippe N, 20 Juillet 2016

The hotel is placed in good distance of Vienna Inner city. You can either take a walk of 3 km, or tram/metro/train. The hotel itself is average; the rooms is a good size, and presents very nice, but some places in the room could use some cleaning. The breakfest is a bit boring.

"Great Stay for a Great Price in Great Location"
Amal M, 27 Juin 2016

Was pleasantly surprised at what I paid and what I received. Hotel was very clean, room was very spacious and in great central location, easy to access center of town as well as easy to find and not get lost when exploring on your own. Has suites with sofa bed so great for families. Also nice when conducting business meetings as well as great for when traveling with friends.

"Modern rooms in a good location"
Hayley970, 27 Juin 2016

Stayed here on business. Very friendly, helpful staff who could help arrange taxis and tickets for any concerts or performances you wanted to see, although one receptionist had either learnt English in the USA or dealt with a lot of American guests because when I asked about prices she would tell me how many bucks it cost! The rooms are modern, clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms and they were quiet. The rooms also had a fridge in them which is always very useful. Breakfast was rather chaotic due to the number of coach parties staying in the hotel, the staff struggled to cope with the number of people and kept running out of glasses and mugs for tea and fruit juice. The hotel is located close to the city centre. There's an underground line close by and 4 stops will get you into the heart of the city to St Stephen's Cathedral. The Wien Mitte shopping centre is very close and the station for the City Airport Train is also located next to the shopping centre so it's very useful to get to the airport. There is also a bus that will take you from outside the hotel and terminates at the City Park in the centre of Vienna. Around the hotel are several restaurants and a couple of supermarkets, so you have everything you need around the hotel if you arrive late and don't want to go into the city centre immediately. I would be happy to stay in this hotel again.

"Pleasantly Surprised."
R0ssyb0y, 20 Juin 2016

I had no idea our hotel was a Best Western until the taxi took us to the door. It was part of a package deal from Air Berlin. I was not looking forward to it. However.... this one was really quite nice. We stayed three nights. It was clean, quite modern and practical. The receptionist was warm, welcoming and full of advice. It is fully accessible to those using wheelchairs. The breakfasts were really quite good, a big choice to choose from, for the fussiest of eaters. There is a smoking room on the ground floor to save venturing out into the rain. Our room was 527, no one above us and it was at the quiet side of the hotel. I really cannot complain. The hotel also has a sauna, free for all by guests. We never tried it as we did not have time. The wifi connection is top notch (and free), even a few meters outside, can you still obtain connection. Overall, a happy experience. Thank you.

"Wake up at 9:00 AM..."
António F, 15 Juin 2016

I really hate to leave bad reviews but this smartass guys just need it! Last week we have been here until Sunday then we spend some days out of Vienna, then we back for a last night... Both times on the chack-out day they wake up us at 9AM... we dont ask to be wake up... The chack-out its at 12AM... I understand the subliminar Idea Belind this actitude... BUT THE CHACK-OUT ITS AT 12AM...

"Location"
Josip C, 15 Juin 2016

The location is allowing the guests to be close to everything but outside the tumult meaning there is no tumult. I can recommend this hotel to those coming to Vienna because it is very practical to move to all parts of the city. The hotel is convenient, walking distance to an underground station and buses making it easy to get around.

"Met all our needs"
topguide, 12 Juin 2016

Nice hotel modern clean and very helpful staff on reception. They were only too happy to give directions and booked tickets for a concert for us. Bus stop outside allows you to connect to all the transport system in Vienna . The only criticism would be the scrambled eggs at breakfast, they should be of a consistency that you do not slice! All together an excellent hotel for money paid.

"central location great rooms and helpful staff"
tufla, 10 Juin 2016

I stayed there for a business conference and found the location ideal for travelling around the city with the bus stop outside. Next door a supermarket which is so cheap. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are very clean - great shower and bed linen changed daily. Also there is a fridge - tv and you need good air con which we had

"Tour stop in Vienna"
hotwings56, 30 Mai 2016

We had a 3 night stay at the Best Western Plus Armedia Hotel. Our room was disappointing with no TV reception or a working refrigerator. Air conditioning was poor and barely working. Our second room was better with a fridge to keep drinks cold but still no TV - was out throughout the whole hotel and was unavailable for all 3 days of our stay. Bed was excellent, and room and bathroom was roomy enough. Breakfasts were only OK with limited hot dishes and poor selection of fresh fruit. Location was all right with access to main train station on public transport approx 10 minutes on no. 18 tram. No gymnasium but sauna was excellent. We were given free breakfasts as compensation for the TV being unavailable which was appreciated.

"Best Hotel in Vienna"
Beatrice F, 26 Mai 2016

Best hotel, best staff, best rooms, best breakfast, in front of building is the bus station, closer than city center, rooms are very clean and very large for 3 beds..... we felt very good in this hotel.... Congratulations!!!

"Very Good Hotel"
marioscyprus, 23 Mai 2016

Very good hotel with good beds, rooms, breakfast, friendly staff, clean, close to a large number of shops and restaurants and only a 15 minute walk from CAT station that arrives from airport. Of course if walking is not your thing you can always take the 74A bus for a 3 minutw ride that stops outside the hotel. Very quiet area. Overall great.

"Comfortable, the waiters lack"
Pier Luigi R, 22 Mai 2016

Typical Best Western, so 4 stars and not too much to complain. Some nuts: the clerks are not so speedy as they are pretended to be, there wasnt any glass in the room, the breakfast was a bit "looking old". I certainly will come back, the prices are low.

"Good hotel at a reasonable price"
Nade A, 18 Mai 2016

I stayed here 6 nights with the family. The staff are very helpful. Good location - Bus and tram station is very nearly. The room and bathroom and nice and clean, comfy bed.The breakfast is extra but was had a good selection of food, fruits and drinks.

"Acceptable hotel"
ZygKaminski, 03 Mai 2016

We arrived at this hotel for a brief stay .The Business rooms are adequate for a brief stay. Windows are able to be opened, but traffic noise is high. The reception staff are very helpful, and some rated as exceptional

"Very good experience"
Nenad B, 30 Avril 2016

Spent a long weekend with the family in Vienna and we picked thhis hotel due to previous reviews and the location. Overall, I am happy with the experience. My only complaint is a very squeeky floor in the room. Did not bother us, but it must be annoying to people in the room below.

"Great value, good location and helpful staff"
Michael W, 27 Avril 2016

Good hotel at a reasonable price. The staff are very helpful. The rooms are clean tidy. The hotel is not luxurious but good value for money. The breakfast is extra but was had a good selection of food and drinks. Good location with some excellent restaurants just down the road. The reception ordered the taxi which arrived on time and the alarm call was good

"Best western plus opinion"
giovannigN8000IQ, 20 Avril 2016

Nice location, only 15 minutes walk from the Belvedere and quite convenient to reach from the airport. The staff was very friendly, the rooms very clean. Overall was a pleasant stay, but cannot comment on the wellness area because I did not try it.

"Helpful staff & clean"
Leigh H, 15 Avril 2016

I stayed here 2 nights whilst on a trip for work. Very pleasant stay- helpful and lovely staff, very well spoken English. Hotel is very clean, Nice bathroom and comfy bed. I was unfortunate to miss breakfast but it looked good. I had problems with my door and this was fixed very promptly. I am Looking to stay again on a holiday with friends.

"Great Stay"
billyo92, 13 Avril 2016

Location was great, just a short walk from the nearest metro station and easily reached from the airport. Staff were very friendly and helpful and dealt with all our needs brilliantly. Room was spacious and clean with comfortable beds. Highly recommended

"Great stay!"
cailinshligigh, 25 Mars 2016

This hotel is very well located, in a suburban area. It is a few mins walk to the U-Bahn (Kardinal-Nagl-Platz station) with regular service to city centre. It is also a few mins walk to Wien St.Marx station, where the direct train to the airport stops. The rooms were clean and spacious, with a large en-suite. Free WiFi is throughout the hotel and there is a coffee shop in the entrance foyer. Staff were very friendly and helpful!

"Best bargain in Vienna!"
mcarbl, 18 Février 2016

Stayed for 3 nights. Booked on hotels.com at a rate of £27.39 per night; cannot believe the value for money this place offers! PROS: - the price! - newly refurbished, the room was very modern; - friendly staff, fluent in English; - fridge in room to keep your own stuff cold; - power shower, one of the best I've ever had; - in between an Aldi & a Lidl, with a Billa opposite...spoilt for choice when stocking up on supplies; - free use of basic spa/sauna; - all fittings and fixtures in the room are brand new; - free use of digital safe in room; - affordable late-check out available (€15 til 3pm, €20 til 5pm) CONS: - a 30-40 min walk to the main centre of Vienna, but worth it for the price of the room; - very warm rooms. The 'air conditioning' isn't actually air conditioning. Like lots of continental hotels, for some reason, they advertise AC, but give you a fan with a thermostat. Windows open fully but it's noisy from the street; - expensive breakfast: food for two would have been more expensive than the cost of the room, but lots of shops & bakeries around to get breakfast from. - we weren't informed of City Tax at check-in, but at 87c/night, it didn't break the bank. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Vienna and would definitely stay again!

"excellent rooms for 3 to 4 nights"
James_Parker2015, 07 Février 2016

Overall the room was perfect , there were few main issues: 1. bed sheets felt a bit cheap or like sand paper 2. rooms were not cleaned for our whole stay (sadly they forgot and once we slept in till 1pm 3. not enough English channels Things that we liked 1. Room overall was excellent for the stay 2. internet made a big difference as it was good , normally you have hotels who save money on it but this hotel ensured all users were satisfied 3. bathrooms were perfect for the size 4. bed was good to sleep on but the sheets were a bit average I would definitely come back to vienna and enjoy the nicw weather and hotel.

"Goodyear hotel"

"Short 10-minute walk to the metro Kardinal Nagl Platz"
GeloCH, 20 Janvier 2016

Reasonably priced modern hotel in the more modern part Vienna. Has groceries and restaurants nearby. Room is quite big for European standards. Best part for me is the large and secured underground parking. And there's a lift directly from the parking to your floor.

"Very comfortable stay in a good location"
simsu66, 11 Janvier 2016

We stayed for 6 nights in December and chose the Amedia Wien as the price for a 4* hotel was excellent and for its central location. Most importantly the bed was extremely comfortable and the room a good size. From the outside the hotel is very plain but inside it is nicely decorated in a modern style with white, red and black rooms. Our room was on the top floor, on the same level as the sauna and wet room which was a great way to relax after a busy days sightseeing. The hotel is on a fairly busy road but even though we were at the from there was no road noise. It is about a 20 minute walk into the city centre but much easier to catch the bus which stops almost outside the hotel. There is a small selection of restaurants and bars nearby although it easy enough to go into the centre. There was a nice Italian restaurant a short walk away on the same side of the road as you go into town if you want to eat locally. Breakfast in the hotel was expensive. We found it easiest to get pastries from the supermarket next door and eat them in our room although there are a few cafes and bakeries within walking distance. The only downside was that the bar was very small and smokey. A shame because it would have been nice to have nightcap in a pleasant, smoke free, atmosphere. Overall though we had an excellent stay the Amedia Wien.

"Great quad room "
BN68, 04 Janvier 2016

Good accommodation with 2 large double beds at hostel price ! 10min walk to the nearest U-bahn to central Vienna as well as St. Marx train station from airport. Breakfast was 11 euros and we chose the nearby Anker bakery instead. We stored our luggage at the hotel upon checkout while we took a side trip to outside Vienna.

"Nice location. Modern hotel!"
JGordicho, 03 Janvier 2016

We have made the reservation using Booking. The room reserved was pretty nice, the site pictures are correct. The hotel is located just next to St. Marx train station so from airport you can get the train there. Regarding the tram station to go to city center you can pick tram at also St. Marx station or Oberzellergasse, both at Rennweg street, the hotel paralel street. Also if you need to buy something from a supermarket you can find a Lidl next door from the hotel and a both an Hofer and a Spar 5minutes away. The only bad things I need to point out were the television hotel software..., difficult to use and annoyingly slow... and the poor english channel options (only news channel). It would be great to be able to have the option to hear their german channels (american) series in original version. At checkout day the staff was nice to give us the opportunity of late check-out but before we left the room the cleaning crew cleaned our room and throw everything we had in the minibar to the trash..., food and drinks we had reserved to take to the airport... We needed to buy stuff at the airport to replace the ones thrown away. General experience is very good, just this last day thing that we didn't appreciate...

"Very good!"
Jano15, 29 Décembre 2015

The hotel is very clean and easy to find. The staff didn't know much English, so we faced a bit of difficulty in communicating. The bad side of the hotel is that it is not close to a metro station as you have to walk around 7 mins to reach the closest stations. Overall, I was very satisfied with the room service and the facilities. Definitely, I'll use it again when I'm in Vienna.

"4* Hotel with some minus points"
yv0nne223, 29 Décembre 2015

The hotel is good situated buses, trains, restaurants and shops nearby therefore it's a little bit load at night... The only friendly staff were the housekeepers who didn't have much German or English but always said hello... The girls at the reception and the chef & cleaner in the breakfast restaurant never showed any sign of interest or smile... The breakfast is good I would just recommend to offer fruit juices instead of the fruit syrup maschine and not to collect the dishes on a dirty trolley while the guests are in the restaurant. The room is nice but the bathroom was first cleaned correct after two complaints and talking to the General Manager. Vienna is a lovely city especially Belvedere and the Christkindlemarkt at the Rathaus but next time we will try a different hotel.

"You Say Wien , I Say Vienna !"
Skeney57, 26 Décembre 2015

We do have a lot to thank our British friends who Anglicized the world ! That's partly to blame for me not visiting 30 years ago !! Another story. I want to give this BW a Good but not VG !! We were mistakenly given a double, 2 connected rooms with 2 queens, TV's etc. Huge but wasted I'm afraid. The rooms were clean & comfortable though ! The negatives were expensive parking, unlike most BW's, no included breakfast and despite repeated request our in room safe was U/S for our 2 night stay ! It was an easy 15-20 minute walk to the centre of Town which was a plus and the area was a bit sleazy but have stayed in a lot worse !!

"Excellent hotel downtown with occasional promo-prices"
blr2007, 21 Décembre 2015

Chose this hotel only because of a promo-price which was really stunning for a 4* place. Which is more - the check-in was arranged 3 hrs earlier than usual - very much appreciated. Rooms were spacious, bathroom - clean. Breakfast was not included in promo-offer so got nothing to say. The hotel is some 15 min walk to downtown, 5 min to metro. Reception speak any language you want.

"Daniel P"
danielpavlukovic, 21 Décembre 2015

Stayed here 2 nights. The price of a room was good. They want to overcahrge you to park the car, but close by you find parking houses. Public transport is 5 minutes walk from the place. Good value for money.

"2 nights"
Jerfrees, 16 Décembre 2015

Family stay for 2 nights at the hotel was ok but not more. Room for 4 people, the space was a bit tight. The bath room was big. Reception staff service was average but not friendly enough. The area nearby was not that busy so not noisy, the sleep quality was good.

"Basic hotel but good location and overall no complaints"
JP28-11-01, 14 Décembre 2015

I recently stayed at this hotel with my wife and two children (8 & 11) for a four night stay. We arrived at the hotel at about 12.30pm and we were delighted when we were told that our room was ready, check in time is usually 3pm. We had booked a 'quadruple' room. When we got to our room we discovered that there was a double bed but no other beds. We pointed this out at reception and were told that there would be two fold up beds placed in the room. The room was a good size but when you added the two extra beds it became a bit tight. On arriving at our room we noticed there was a bit of a stale odour, nothing serious but noticeable. We decided to go into the city and when we returned at 5.30pm we discovered that the beds had still not been placed in the room. We again contacted reception and the beds were placed in the room with an apology. All in all this hotel suited our needs. It is well located and there are some restaurants nearby. The area seemed safe and we had no problems walking back to the hotel at night. The stale odour persisted in the room (118) but we opened the window and it cleared, I did not mention it to the staff. The hotel has very good wifi which we could use in our room, thankfully, as there were only four English speaking stations on the TV out of approx 40 (three news channels and the God channel). The bar attached to the hotel is small and is a smoking bar and if, like us, you don't smoke you are not going to go into it, very, very smokey. We did not eat at the hotel. Overall, good hotel for the money, basic but reasonably comfortable. Good location. I found the staff friendly and helpful. If returning to Vienna I would consider this hotel again, great to visit the Christmas markets as we were.

"Good value"
Bruno D, 03 Décembre 2015

Hotel is good to reach by train from airport. If you arrive by car they have a parking under the hotel, so no need to search outside for parking spot. Although the parking is expensive (17€) I believe it is good spend. Great breakfast with a lot of variation. Although the rooms are rather simple it is a good hotel and I like it. The only disadvantage I find is they don't have a restaurant in the hotel so you need to find a restaurant outside. There are plenty restaurants close to the hotel. So no big issue only in the evening I used the hotel it was heavy raining and didn't wanted to get out of the hotel to look for food so at the end I didn't had a dinner.

"Wonderful hotel"
Jan L, 23 Novembre 2015

We spent in this hotel two nights. We have nothing to complain about. Our room was clean and really good-looking, all the furniture seemed to be new. The room was equipped with TV, safe, kettle. Tea and coffee are free of charge but surprisingly only something was refilled after cleaning. Bathroom was clean, there is no need to say anything else. The only problem was the sliding door which was not possible to close without possibility to see anything from outside. We can recommend to visit a bar next to the entrance. A cosy place with a wide product range. If I come back to Vienna and could choose the same hotel for as good price as the last time, I will definitely not look for anything else. Thank all the stuff for being nice and friendly to us.

"Not so pleased"
cat_in_zurich, 20 Novembre 2015

First they gave me a dirty room then it took them a while to find me a clean room. When I entered the clean room, the sink is full of water. The room looked clean enough and I was tired so I didn't complain anymore. Wifi is free and decent. The hallways smell of smoke. I usually take tea in the morning but the tea bags were not refilled.

"Staff need training."
Tom R, 12 Novembre 2015

Okay, I rarely give poor reviews. To give context I stayed in Vienna an extra couple of days at the end of a work trip- my finance officer booked the first night and I made a separate booking for two extra nights. Two weeks before my trip I emailed them to link the two bookings. The receptionist sent an email stating that my name wasn't in their booking register. Okay, I thought- send a copy of the two confirmation emails and reiterate my request. No response. I resent the email- still no response. I couldn't make a telephone call as I was in another country at the time. When we arrived at 2:30 pm, we were told that they couldn't check us in until 3. We had a lot of luggage and we were told we would literally have to sit waiting in the waiting area until 3 and the keys to the luggage room were thrust into my hands. We had to check out and check back in again after the first night but we could leave our luggage in the room. The weirdest thing happened at the end of the second night. At 11:45 pm (Yes, near midnight), there was knocking at the door. The door cracked open again- it was the receptionist that had checked us in for the second time that morning. She didn't have a record of anyone in the room and was checking if it was available. On the last morning when we checked out the two receptionists had quite a vocal disagreement. Oh, and we only got one cup for tea/coffee in the room which was never refilled. That said, the room was modern and clean as was the hotel and it was cheap after all. It had free wifi (not standard back home). It is out a bit from the city and we caught public transport easily.

"Accesible, clean, spacious large rooms"
Erik O, 05 Novembre 2015

The location is excellent and there is a bus stop 50m down the street to access Vienna's very efficient public transport system. The area directly surrounding the hotel is a bit boring, but a few bus stops away you can find many restaurants and attractions. The room (and bathroom) are quite large for standard rooms. The floor was quite noisy to walk on for some reason. I did not try the breakfast, but it looked fantastic with a decent variety of food. Remember their check in time is 3PM - and they are strict about this. Try to get there at 4 or 5 if you can as at 3 there will be a queue of the folks who got there earlier but sat and waited. The hotel can keep your bag(s) at reception if you do need to get there earlier.

"Good Long Stay"
akanuruddha, 04 Novembre 2015

We stayed here for 5 nights. The location is very much convenient as the access for all the public transportation and supermarkets and bakeries are in a walking distance and the Wien Mitte super mall is 2km away. Good place for the travelers who are willing to visit nearby cities as the Erdberg central bus station is less than 2km away. The room is moderately spacious and well cleaned with good bedding, furniture and bathroom. Room is equipped with a centralized HVAC system with good flow throughout the room. But as we got a top floor room, some of the room space was disturbed by the slanted roof. As a bad thing, there were an issue with in-room wifi and it took 2 days to re-establish the system. Also the room is lack of in-room tea coffee making facilities and amenities. Overall a good stay.

"City break"
snaphappyninja, 29 Octobre 2015

Excellent hotel and facilities for the price. I was expecting an average Travellodge/Formula 1 hotel considering the price but was pleasantly surprised by both the size and quality of the room. The location is a little far out of the city centre but it's only a bus ride away on Vienna's excellent public transport so not really that much of an issue.

"Cab service"
Long Yep T, 21 Octobre 2015

They allowed black market taxi to take their customers. That is very bad to let customers felt being cheated. And the receptionist recommended the service.. I suggest they forbid any black market cab driver enter their venue. Room facilities are OK. Room service good.

"Close to the centre"
Piotr M, 05 Octobre 2015

The hotel is conveniently located on a big street leading to the centre of the City, within 15 minutes by bus, there are many shops and supermakets within a 3 minute walk from the hotel - SPAR, Billa, ALDI and LIDL

"Not clean enough"
Emese H, 01 Octobre 2015

The rooms are pretty however could have been cleaner. First of all, someone was smoking in the room previously, the room stank badly. The curtains were dirty and had a bad smell, mostly from the smoking. The entire place had a smoking smell anyway, the lobby and corridors. ..bad ventilation? Found a piece of candy wrap left on the corner, next to the bedside table. The carpet was stained (chewing gums) in several spots. The bedsheets looked suspicious but can't say they were not clean. we paid a high rate due to a busy weekend in town, it was upsetting getting a 2-3 star service for a 5 star price. We will choose another hotel next time.

"Nice place to stay with a good value for your buck"
Adrian D, 23 Septembre 2015

The room is very big, even the entry level one, and that also applies to the bathroom. everything is neat and clean, the colour scheme of the bathroom is a very nice touch. It is also situated in a quiet neighborhood, right next to it you have a supermarket and across the street the is a bakery. So you have options if you want to eat something in your room. The only problem we had is that the pillows had a very weird smell, similar to wet feathers, or something along those line. The weird part was that the pillows were new, according to the hotel staff. But other then the pillow situation it was a really good place to stay and enjoy Wien.

"Good Hotel"
007-Tehran, 23 Septembre 2015

Good hotel, good staff, good breakfast, but it's not close to city center.free WiFi in all areas with good speed. bus line 74a station in about 40 m from hotel and go to the city center. a supermarket is next to the hotel.

"Good value"
ERIC N, 22 Septembre 2015

Good value for your stay. Very clean rooms each day. Hotel staff are very helpful and resourceful. Most speak good English and if they don't will get coworker who does to aid. Staff are courteous and pleasant - had seen staff members outside after working hours in the city and they still greeted us like friends. When in Vienna highly recommend the Best Western Plus Amedia. Also, very close to local transit, and nearby restaurants. Area is not noisy or over crowded. Nearby convenience stores and small grocery stores aid with keeping meals at a decent budget. Restaurants are always overpriced.
