Hotel was dated Crammed in a room didn't even have room to walk between the beds The pool is rubbish The breakfast wasn't great everything had been seasoned with salt and pepper the kids don't like that That should be a preference we add ourselves Staff are not smiley or welcoming Parking is very tight Stayed in budget hotels for alot less money and had nicer rooms

From the moment I rang to book our King Executive room and spoke to a pleasant Tyler on reception, and arrived to a lovely welcome from Gemma , all the staff and management in the hotel were absolutely fantastic. All well trained , so friendly and the holiday couldn't have gone any better. Even the General Manager Massimo and the head chef took time to have a quick chat and laugh with us as I complimented the chef on his food on our way to breakfast one morning. Plenty of free parking (give car reg on arrival) in the carparks, there is one around the back as well with a back entrance to hotel and leisure facilities. 5 -10 mins flat walk to the seafront , with bus stop very close to hotel if needed. (Taxi's back from harbour area at night were about £6.50ish ) Good Free wifi . Our front facing King Executive room was spacious and really comfortable. Spotlessly clean , lovely modern decor . Bathroom had a big walk-in shower with both big rain shower as well as another shower which could be hand held. Lovely tiling. Massive big fluffy towels which were changed daily. Plenty of loo roll supplied, shower gel/soap/body lotion dispensers. We had a fridge with complimentary bottled water & kitkats replaced daily (except for one day when just got the water). A coffee machine & pods as well as kettle and flavoured / herbal teas , normal tea, coffee, biscuits. Plenty of milk sachets which was much appreciated as I like my tea milky. 8 coathangers, iron & ironing board and fan in wardrobe. Good hairdryer . Lots of drawer space . Plenty of electrical plug sockets. Bedside alarm clock . Large TV. King size bed had plenty of pillows , comfortable and nice fresh bedding. Rooms cleaned well each day. Free entry to leisure club only if booking direct with hotel. We were given a card to show on arrival to gain free entry. Free Pool towels for hotel guests. Free lockers. Seperate changing rooms and showers for male/female. Leisure club was very busy as we went during the school Easter holidays. Steam room was out of action, but used the sauna and had a quick dip in the pool. One part of the pool is shallower for children, the other deeper (think it was 1.2 metres all over) for swimming. Didn't use the gym . They give a medical questionaire to fill in before using the gym , can't go in without a Drs letter with lots of conditions including if on blood pressure meds etc. Leisure club staff also very pleasant. Breakfast and evening meals were so perfectly cooked. Just had to compliment the chef personally as the food was so fantastic over our 4 night stay. Got to be the best meals we have had ! Mikey and Lily especially gave us great service in the restaurant each morning and evening. They were served us the most , but other staff members were also friendly and efficient . We enjoyed using the hotel bar each evening as well. Nice comfortable and well used bar area , overlooking the pool . James and Jack looked after us serving us our well kept beers and ciders. If you hadn't booked half board, meals could be booked in the restaurant if tables available , or eaten in the bar area. Thanks to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable and memorable. Hoping to be back for another stay in the very near future!

Very helpful staff and the hotel was clean. Although the hotel needs a refresh, on the whole we enjoyed our stay. Special thanks to Mia who was so helpful and friendly. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the sea front and there is plenty of parking.

Our room was fairly spacious clean and comfortable ... No lift to our room but we managed the stairs despite not being given help with out luggage . The bar area was clean and had a nice relaxing atmosphere ... We shared a Pizza from the bar snack menu one evening which was nice tasty and hot . Drinks were reasonably priced . Breakfast was slightly over priced in my opinion... yes it was an all you can eat style buffet at £13.50 per person .... I found a lack of selection on the Danish Pastries & meats & cheeses . The menu to order also was lacking in content . I ordered the smoked haddock one morning and to say I was disappointed would be an under statement . The fish was a triangle shaped piece of fish ( not much bigger than a cheese triangle ) It was obviously frozen and of poor quality , cooking it in the microwave did nothing for it either , bland and disgusting ..(sadly I didn't take a photo ) All I can say is that the hotel need to change their supplier or loose it from the menu. One the whole the staff were polite ,happy and helpful with the exception of two . On the whole a comfortable stay .. a short walk in to Weymouth . Plenty of car parking spaces ... Would I return ... yes as the pluses outweigh the negatives

As usual it is the staff who make this hotel. Always smiling and always helpful. Food and drinks were good with a nice, varied choice. The position of this hotel is ideal for anyone who wants to walk into town via the seafront. Will be back.

A really amazing hotel! It's on a main road with no views as such but more than makes up with the interior. It is clean , welcoming and has friendly staff. Our room was on the 3rd floor, lift and stairs. Fabulous, huge comfortable bed, coffee machine and fridge. Large sparkling bathroom with a rain type shower , huge fluffy towels. Soap /conditioner dispensers. It was cleaned beautifully every day of our stay and biscuits, coffee pods replaced. Nice dining/breakfast room. The food was well cooked and presented, good sized portions. Fairly priced. £16-24 mains, starters £7-8. Breakfast was included with our booking, fantastic selection of cereals/yoghurts/fresh fruit. Juices, tea, coffee and loads of items for a fry up! There is a swimming pool, sauna/steam room /gym. If you book directly with the hotel it's free but we paid £6 pp for a full days use, towels supplied. 10 minute walk to reach the esplanade and bus stops just outside the hotel. Parking free, out the front and back. All the staff were friendly, efficient and polite. The ladies who do the rooms have very high standards, thank you! Just a note to say the pool is open to the public and you get the regular swimmers so we just sat in the jacuzzi until it thinned out, no problem. Definitely recommend this hotel, just wish others were as outstanding!

Lovely clean hotel with welcoming staff. A small pool plus other fitness amenities. Free wifi although did have to log in each time. Plenty of parking. Only a few minutes walk from the seafront and amenities.

Friendly and welcoming staff. This all started from my welcome at reception. Very quick check in and very precise. Brilliant service and services in this hotel. The sea front is just a few minutes walk away. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bar and restaurant gave a magnificent selection and again the service was second to none. I received better service here than I have received at some very top end hotels. Will definitely be going back.

We arrived and were checked into a room on the first floor. I asked where the lift was and was told there was no lift to that part of the building. They pointed out that on their website it says “Lift to a limited number of rooms only. Please request“ - who books a lift?? Anyway, I had booked through hotels.com and in their app and on their website it says the hotel has a lift (without any caveats). So if you're booking to stay at this hotel, do not do so if you need a lift, or at least check with the hotel in advance. By the way, hotels.com would not accept any responsibility for the issue.

This Hotel Is Amazing, Its Clean, Comfortable, Friendly Staff, We had Great Fun In the Leisure club, Pool Is lovely, The Sauna Is Very Small, But The Steam room Is Lovely. GREAT Value for money, Would Definitely Stay There Again. The Room Had A lovely Double Shower Cubicle, Very Modern, Bright And Airy, Lovely Cute mini Coffee Machine. Staff Called Us A Taxi, and It Arrived Seconds Later, very affordable Taxi Company. Can't wait to Come Back again.

Lovely stay. Clean, comfortable hotel. Very helpful receptionist who changed our room to accommodate mobility issue. Beds very comfortable bathroom bright and clean with fluffy towels and powerful over bath shower. Will book direct next time for free pool, spa facilities. Bus stop practically outside but very quick walk to beach.

Two nights more than enough in a room that had a very strong smell (possibly recently painted or more likely cleaning products from the house-keeping cupboard in the corridor outside) There was also a continuous humming sound that could have been the bathroom extractor fan from another room or maybe extractor fans from the nearby kitchens. There is plenty of parking but this seems to get very busy when there are people using the spa/pool/leisure facilities. Staff were without exception friendly and the general environment clean and tidy. Shower was warm enough but lacked any real water pressure and hot water option not available for the wash-basin. Can't fault the central heating for keeping warm but the noise generated by the radiators meant being a bit cold was a good option. Would have expected a more pleasant experience given the room rate.

Loved everything about our first stay. Breakfast is an absolute must- extremely good value. Facilities - pool etc very clean as was the whole hotel. Highly recommend and will be booking again. Will be our place to book in Weymouth from now on :-)

Excellent standard large room with large bathroom. Many choices of room amenities. Swimming Pool nice with jacuzzi. Lovely Breakfast with a variety of both hot and cold options. Friendly staff throughout. Bar & lounge with lovely cocktails 2for£10. Will recommend the Christmas Dinner & Disco to many others

Great location being only a short walk to the seafront. Had a meal in the restaurant that was really good and well presented. Breakfast was excellent with a wide choice. Room a little tired but it is an old building. However the bathroom was newly fitted out with a walk in shower, wet room style. 10/10 for that. Excellent spa facilities and pool too.

Excellent hotel. Clean and well kept. Swimming pool and gym available for guests. Friendly helpful staff. Full range of breakfast foods available. Evening menu also available. 5 mins from sea front. Buses available to all nearby attractions from sea front and only costs £4 return. Well reccomended.

We arrived at the Rembrandt on the day of the Iron-man Triathlon so struggled to find a parking spot anywhere in town or at the hotel until just after check-in time. That was the last of our problems thankfully and we had a very relaxing 2 night stay here in an Executive Room. Comfortable Super King size bed, perfect room temperature, a good bathroom and a decent hospitality tray added to our enjoyment. There was even a distant view of the Osmington White Horse hill figure on our Monday here when the weather was kinder. The best assets of The Rembrandt are undoubtedly the staff, all of whom were friendly, professional and highly efficient. Food and drink in the restaurant and bar were all good too. The hotel is close enough to walk to the sea front and busier parts of the town centre. We both wish we had booked to stay longer and would choose to stop here again if we return

I was put in room 279. This room(cupboard) was meant to be a double. It had double bed, room was clean. It's located ground floor, between two corridors. There was no windows to look out. Two very small opening windows about 6 foot high off the floor. One opened onto corridor, with light outside it. Evey time someone walked past light would come on. This happened all night. Shower was overhead problem being if you wanted hot, warm shower it would just be a trickle of water. Had to have cold shower. I asked to be moved but was told nothing available. (Monday Night)? At £139 plus £13.50 for breakfast. For a cupboard. Good points. Room was clean, staff very polite, Breakfast had great selection, chef made 2 poached eggs in front off you they were excellent. I've stayed in this hotel a few times this is the first time I've had issues. I will stay again but not in room 279.

Lovely hotel, parking at the rear of the venue too - we arrived on Sunday when it was the "Iron Man" event, (which we didn't know about) so the parking was heaving to begin with & we were lucky to get a space. Once checked in & In the room, we were very happy, lovely spacious room & nicely laid out. 2 fans were supplied & the open windows, which were kept open during the entire stay as the room could get quite hot. The only downside is that the TV channels weren't working & we could only get a limited number of working channels. However, we weren't there to watch TV so it wasn't a big problem. We had plenty of milk supplied for tea & coffee use (see pic) - found that amusing. We headed to the pool not long after, extremely busy as its a leisure centre, so the general public was using it too. It was OK, I've been to better pools tbh, I don't see what all the fuss is about. We had drinks at the bar, which we found expensive & found a pub up the road much cheaper to drink at. We did, however, eat in the restaurant & I totally recommend that, very, very nice, quality food, good attentive service, just a shame it is quiet but don't let that put you off. Breakfast was good, nice selection. Staff friendly. Overall, I rate this 4 out of 5 & we will definitely return & would recommend this hotel.

Old, poor mattress, stiflingly hot room and a lack of parking for guests. Shame as the staff were nice but not much point hanging out there at all. On the plus side it was a quiet hotel but if you want town centre for Weymouth then there are better choices.

Booked after looking at the reviews Whats good is the location with car park, walking distance from the town, restaurant (although why insist on booking when it's empty is a mystry) and the pool area. The rooms do let this hotel down, very basic, dated and small. Even the TV rubbish (not taht we went for TV), only 4 channels really working, not even freeview. Rooms layout none, corridors all over

Luckily managed to get a family hotel room. A friend had been many times before and recommended it. A good mix of accessible bedrooms, double bedrooms and family bedrooms. Plenty of mixed car parking to the front and rear of the hotel. A lift to all floors. A heated indoor pool and a gym. Sauna, steam room and spa. You pay for the pool if you haven't booked direct. Nice garden to sit in. Bar over looks the pool(not sure if I liked this). Bar drinks... Draught soft drinks were unavailable, so we ordered 6 bottles of coke zero and even the staff member asked her boss if the price on the till was correct as it was £22.50!!!!!! When I double checked with the staff in the morning, they said yes the prices are very high. And suggested we go to tesco and stock up instead. Breakfast was fine, nice selection. Ask the chef if you can't see something you need. 5 minute drive to the beach or bus stop opposite hotel. Great quiet location will definitely go back.

Sorry to begin on a negative note but the pillows were a tad too hard. Sue my wife and I stayed in room 250 of this very good hotel on the night of 13th September this year and we were more than impressed with a) Reception b) Room were the bed was more than adequate(except pillows) c) Dinner in the hotel was excellent good value and well cook and the young ladies serving excellent d) Breakfast next morning very good value and lots of choice e) Car Parking f) Easy access to Beach if required, just a short walk. We usually only use Tripadvisor to place reviews of long stay hotels abroad but felt it necessary to leave a review of this hotel because it is such good value and we were only using it for a fleeting visit but will use it again soon.

Extremely professional and friendly check in..we arrived early and the room was ready at 1 30 pm which was a lovely surprise. The rooms are spotless and the leisure centre was a nice addition with the pool and gym. We didn't use the restaurant but will save that for our next visit. Very handy location for the beach and town centre. . We shall look forward to returning very soon

Brilliant hotel for a budget trip to Weymouth. Food was good and the children loved the swimming pool. The hotel it was the perfect base for exploring the local area. My only comment would be that the changing rooms area could be a little cleaner, but a minor issue.

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The family rooms were very clean, spacious bright and modern. We had a very comfortable stay. The carvery was out of this world and the breakfast each morning was delicious. This is a great location close to the beach. Some of the parking is expensive close to the arcades, however the Governors Lane car park is excellent value for money (Right near the Sunshine Cafe). We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff. Loved that had use of the leisure facilities included in the price. Not a single problem. Perfect location to sea front and town about 10 mins to the beach and another 10 to the town Can't wait to go back next year

Lovely work stay at the hotel. Had a room at the back of the hotel very peaceful and quiet. Upon arrival the staff were friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and double & single bed in my room. Both evening meal and breakfast was lovely with good choices. Spa facilities with swimming pool and there is a lovely garden to chill and relax. The car is very large both at the front and rear and is free. There is a free EV car charging facility, but you need to take your 3 point plug charger. Walking distance from the seafront.

We enjoyed staying at this hotel however there were a few positives and negatives. It had a good swimming pool and spa/gym facilities which were a good perk - it's £7 for an adult day pass if you don't book directly through the hotel. We found booking on Expedia was almost £300 cheaper than booking direct through the hotel so we were willing to pay the £7 a day! There was a restaurant / bar / nice garden area and it was only a 10 minute walk to Weymouth beach which was lovely and had lots of bars / restaurants to choose from. The hotel is also a 30 minute drive to Durdle Door and Lulworth Cove which we highly recommend, it's like being on a beach abroad! The car parks are expensive however; around £6 minimum for 4 hours parking at these beaches. The hotel has good parking out the front and also a hidden car park round the back. The negatives were the walls were paper thin, we could hear a man snoring loudly in the room above us and the floor boards creaked so much when they were walking around we struggled to sleep. The beds are very firm also. We found the breakfast was overpriced - £13 per person for a buffet - we ended up driving to Asda cafe down the road instead or to one of the cafes along the beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay however the thin walls would make us reconsider coming back.

Less than two miles from the centre of Weymouth, with very convenient bus stops within 100 metres from the hotel, with services operating every ten minutes, even half hourly later in the evening. It suits folk with disabilities with all rooms located on 2-3 floors which is accessed by a lift. It offers good leisure facilities with indoor pool, steam room and sauna plus a gym. The food is excellent with good choice and well cooked hot dishes for both breakfast and dinner. The staff are really friendly and helpful at all times. Our room was well appointed and comfortable, the bathroom towels were large and fluffy too. The TV worked well and biscuits were replenished daily. The only downside was the floors could do with brushing more frequently, as my socks got mucky underneath, maybe I should have used slippers !!

Something upper class and better than any others I have stayed in. The rooms were comfortable with fluffy soft towels and hot water. With the teas and coffees there was complimentary 3 different types of biscuits. It was faultless.

We had two rooms booked for a Saturday evening one family and one double. Both rooms were clean and a very good size. The only thing was the rooms were hot and you couldn't open the windows as there was a private function going on and we were facing the main road. We had our windows closed with the fan on still hot but we didn't hear the noise(disrupted sleep) my parents had there window open and therefore didn't sleep very well due to the noise. The beds were comfy though. We used the bar after having dinner out for the evening (about 10min walk into Weymouth) service was good. The big positive to this hotel I would say was the brekkie one of the biggest ranges I've had at a chain hotel in the UK. It was all piping hot really impressed with the quality of the food too. After breakfast we also used the pool which our son loved and was easy to use. Parking is free and there is ample parking to the rear of the hotel. Overall very impressed and would not hesitate in booking again when returning to Weymouth even if the sleep was a bit disrupted.

Great meal, great customer service, pool is awesome, would highly recommend, ideal for families, walking distance to the beaches and amenities and free parking all day. Staff make a real difference .

This is a great hotel in easy walking distance of the Weymouth Esplanade. It's really close to the Jurassic Cafe - which as good food, good ice cream and amazing views! The staff at the Rembrandt Hotel was very nice and helpful. We ate breakfast off site so I can't say about the food, but it looked quite good! There was ample parking and it was complimentary. We had a second floor “Family room with a double and two single beds. It was HUGE by English and European standards. The windows were a bit small for air flow on Floor 2 (third floor for us from the USA), so we struggled a bit cooling off the room after a hot day. Make sure you ask for an extra fan at check-in or they may run out. This the only reason that the sleep quality was 5 circles… Overall I would definitely recommend and would stay there again based on the friendly staff and the family accommodations.

Stayed here for a wedding. The hotel is quite a strange mixture of old and new buildings. The rooms are clean and spacious and the staff are helpful and friendly. The rooms are too expensive for the location and overall quality however, and the bar absolutely fleeces you: drinks are way more expensive than London prices. The coffee is awful from an instant machine. Recommend the very nearby drive thru Costa. Don't waste your money here.

Very pleasant weekend, check in and out no problem, the room was clean and all items worked and we had a great shower. Breakfast was excellent with several choices. Evening meal was over cooked on one occasion. All staff were pleasant and polite and no problems with parking.

My new favourite Carvery! Despite living very close to The Rembrandt, I had never been inside to eat. Wow! Great choice of meats today - Turkey, pork, gammon, beef and also braised beef and a steak and ale pie. The veg selection was also huge and all very fresh with good crunchy roast potatoes and large yorkshire puds too. Nice gravy and good selection of condiments. Adult price is £14.50. Lots of attentive staff, a great experience and we will be back.

Excellent in all the ways it should be. The friendly staff, the accommodation, the food whether it be the breakfast, midday or evening meals.... The piped music during breakfast is from the 1970s and it fits the bill for us perfectly. Obviously, the manager has great music taste. OK, the building is showing its age, but no way is it scruffy. The hotel is only a short walk from the sea front and the shops. Carparking is ample and safe as well at the hotel. There is one very tiny criticism. The small indoor pool is also used by the locals. So basically you as a guest might have to pick your moment for your swim. OK this is a smashing hotel. It definitely fits the bill for us pensioners. Liklihood it will also work for the younger generation. We will definitely be back. Thanks Best Western and the staff at Hotel Rembrandt.

Welcomed us with Assistance Dog. Food at breakfast and evening dinner was faultless. Room had everything we needed. Spa facilities were good. Would certainly recommend. We will return. Thank you Team Rembrandt.

We booked this to give our kids a swim in the pool and that was definitely worth it. Nice size, warm and a hot tub! Downside was the breakfast, especially the coffee. The food quality was good but the cutlery trays were dirty which put me off and the coffee machine used dried milk and tasted awful. Room was ok, usual UK standard!

The hotel room was a good size and the ensuite was clean and functional. We had breakfast, lunch and an evening meal and found the overall standard of food, choice and presentation to be excellent. The heated indoor pool and associated facilities were good. The hotel has plenty of parking and is a five minute stroll to the beach esplanade.

I've always loved this hotel and spent a few Christmas's their BUT NEVER AGAIN . The breakfast was the worst I've had anywhere . The plates were cold . The bacon like leather , been hanging around far to long instead of cutting it you had to pull it . The sausages were just as dry and well the eggs ..rubbery . I tried two mornings but could not be bothered with a third … the immediate manager said thanks for letting him know but he said the chef that was on had a habit of cooking to much at a time . Bedroom was fine but they turn the heating off at night , so the cold room wakes you up , found spare duvet but then so cold could not go back to sleep , but I paid good money so as far as I'm concerned should not sleep with two duvets . Could mean about another minor issues but will leave it as that WILL I GO AGAIN ? DONT THINK SO . Shame as was a good place to stay

Great hotel, easy to find and plenty of parking. Very friendly and helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, good food from the bar or restaurant. Pool and gym one of the reasons I chose this hotel - all in good order and clearly popular. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

Location is perfect. About 5-10minutes from the town centre along the sea front. Room was very clean and spacious. Staff were all very pleasant and willing to help. Pool,spar and gym facilities were very good however the pool can naturally get busy as it's open to non- residents and as the locals spend more time there than us visitors then I can't complain. Excellent choice to stay and the parking clearly makes it a winner.

We had the Christmas Party for our local MS Group at the hotel last Saturday! The venue was beautiful with a really nicely decorated dining room and this was well decorated for Christmas. An excellent three-course dinner that was a major credit to the Chef and his/her team. The food was beautifully cooked and well presented by a very friendly and competent waiting staff. A really lovely time that was enjoyed by everyone! Thank you.

Stayed for three nights with friends convenient to town, hotel good staff helpful, good restaurant for evening at breakfast good choice. Rooms basic but comfortable, lovely towels clean linen. Did not experience any issues

Comfortable, spacious, and easy access for the town centre. Service friendly and helpful. Very good bar, serving light bar meals. Spa excellent. Clean, bright and very safe for youngsters. Good for children. Would recommend the hotel as being good for families.

We booked an Executive Suite on thec3rd floor. Quiet room, very comfortable bed, nice shower. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very good breakfast, fantastic Sunday lunch. Need to dust behind TV in room though, see picture. Parking never a problem. Hotel kept war. Would have liked some bottles water in the room.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly. We didn't use the bar or restaurant facilities as we prefer to eat out. However the menu looked very nice and reasonably priced.

Very pleased with Hotel only there one night only, but would definitely stay again to appreciate all amenities available. Breakfast was really good and very friendly staff who were willing to talk about about the local area. Would of loved to have used the swimming pool, but was late getting up.

Good location with ample parking. 10 minute walk into Weymouth. Didn't use the pool so can't comment. Likewise I didn't do breakfast but from what I saw it looked all good. Rubbish hand dryers in the gents, take an age. Rooms are dated decoration wise, albeit they have good size TV. Staff friendly, would stay again.

The hotel is very good. The staff are friendly and attentive. The staff on duty at breakfast were very good and made poached eggs to order. There is a wide variety and range of food available, Veg and GF. The rooms were clean. Plenty of parking available including some 3 pin sockets for electric car charging.

The hotel is close to the sea front and there is a type of spa in the hotel (which we did not use). There is free parking. The hotel is tired in look, but clean. We had a standard double, that was a shoe box in size and not worth the price we paid for it. We had a front facing room, but the double glazing did nothing to stop the vehicle noise from the main road. The staff were lovely and the breakfast was good.

In a word….Eugh I stayed here for one night and that was more than enough for one lifetime. The whole place is reminiscent of a 1980s bad care home and certainly does not look like the pictures in their advertising. I had a double room on the second floor, which was at least clean (the one of few positives), however the room had a strange pervasive odour throughout that I can't even describe, other than nasty. The room had an ok bed, quite comfortable but the whole room was bland. Cheap looking furniture, cheap decor, cheap soft furnishings, cheap kettle, cheap, cheap, cheap. The tiny en-suite was clean but again, that odd smell. When I arrived to my room the shower floor was wet from the shower head that constantly dripped…all night, it was like old fashioned Chinese water torture. I had to try to use the bath mat to take up the nose from the bouncing drops of water, but even after that I only managed 4 hours sleep. I found out the next morning that after use the shower runs itself for ages, it does not turn off properly at all. There is no way that staff who service the rooms do not know about this. They must do as when I started the shower it was turned down to cold, presumably because the heat from hot water would be costly with it constantly running! The hair dryer in my room didn't work but staff responded quickly to my request for a replacement. I didn't eat here at dinner as I was working however breakfast was very good for mass cooking, good choice of hot, cold food, and fresh fruits. The pictures I have added show comparison between the advertising and the room I was given, NOT the same.

Hotel amenities were great offering food and leisure facilities, having a pool and spa is excellent. Staff were all really helpful and our room was cleaned every day without asking which was appreciated

Really enjoyed our stay at the Best Western...main reason for staying here was a hotel reasonably priced that had ample parking. Very good location and the room was very comfortable - shower was amazing.

A superb family break . This hotel really works for a 3 generation family . Generous room sizes , good eating and drinking facilities and a great pool . Excellent breakfast, with a wide choice of good quality products and an impressive buffet

We stayed at this hotel recently and we were very disappointed with the way the Rembrandt handled the situation regarding the room my daughter and her two boys were given which was a room for the disabled which was wholly inappropriate. We booked for a family room and we were not told it was a room for the disabled. The two nights my daughter and her two boys stayed in the room they were disturbed by whoever was in the room above pacing over and back and opening and closing drawers. Despite my daughter making numerous complaints no offer was made to move them out of the room. The hotel offered £90 which they said was adequate and was supposed to compensate for the lack of sleep endured. They even went so far as to say that there was no one in the room the second night. Someone was obviously being economical with the truth!!

A repeat visitor for the very good reason it ticks all the boxes. Staying with our Grandchildren, we had a spacious well appointed room. Wi-Fi was hit and miss this year but not a problem. Room cleaned to a high standard each day with fresh towels etc. Plenty of on-site parking a short walk to the beach. Pleasant lounge and bar area. The swimming pool and fitness centre add to your stay. The hotel has been decorated since last year and has a fresh airy feel. Breakfast offered a wide range of food, including hot buffet. We enjoyed the evening meals in particular, with plenty of choice and at a reasonable price. The staff without exception were friendly, helpful and efficient. Great for families

We loved our stay at the Best Western Rembrandt. The room was well equipped (the fan was great in this heat wave) and it was only a 10 minute walk to the beach and shops. The food was lovely.. . we pigged out on the full English every morning and we had a dunk in the pool which was great. The receptionist was lovely. She told us as we'd booked through Booking.com that meant we would have to pay to use the pool, so she cancelled that and booked us directly with the hotel so that we could use the pool and steam room for free. We wound definitely use this hotel again when we return to Weymouth.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the Rembrandt. Although some of the hotel was being decorated it was spotlessly clean. I only took one mark off as our room and bed were relatively small (I shared the double bed with my 10 year old fidgety son) also no iron in the room. The meals we had in the restaurant were delicious and the staff were wonderful. We enjoyed the pool and thought the family changing rooms were great idea. Close proximity to the beach great bus services 2 mins walk

The hotel was really clean and impressive had 4 nights and it was most enjoyable the room was very comfortable as was the bed, although the pillows were a bit hard but as soon as we spoke to housekeeping they changed them for feather ones which were much softer, the room was quite hot but they provided fans which cooled the room nicely didn't use the swimming pool but looked very nice, the only issue was the Wi-Fi it was very slow and at times no connection at all

We had the executive suite 293 very big room with a big bed strange we was given two crystal glasses but no waterto drink the bathroom had a up to date shower the room had been refurbished. Reception was very riendly ,would stay here again

We stayed for three nights b &b at the Rembrandt. The room we were given was very small and depressive, I complained at reception and we were given another room which was lovely. The room was good and it had a comfortable bed. The breakfast choice was good and plentiful but it could have been better if not overcooked. It was the same every morning. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had an evening meal one night and it was good, no complaints. The swimming pool was good and a lovely leisure area. The hotel was conveniently located as it was a short walk into the town and had ample car parking .

Just returned from a fantastic stay at the Hotel Rembrandt. Great size family room with plenty of space and storage, all very clean and pleasant. Good location 10 min walk to beach and shops and train station. Buffet breakfast very enjoyable with a great selection and variety. Highly recommended and would definitely return again.

For what we have paid, the room 218 has the kitchen vent releasing constant food smells into it so we can't open the window. There's a constant humming from the vent meaning sleep is virtually impossible if you want a lay in. The room is dated, cheap decor and we are disappointed. If this room were priced cheaper maybe it's acceptable. Bar overpriced and charges for using the swimming pool…. Good location though.

The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the room didn't have air conditioning, but there was a small fan. The breakfast and dinner was very nice. The hotel is close to the beach, shops, restaurants and pubs.

The amenities are great, the food (and cocktails!) were great and all of the staff were warm, friendly and efficient and made us feel welcome and valued. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be returning.

The £149 cost for a single room was really steep given the quality of the rooms we had - more of a boarding house than a hotel. Had 2 single rooms, one of which was surrounded by a corridor on two sides and had no window without natural light, so it was really dark and pokey - picture posted. The price didn't include breakfast and when a checked this, because there was a sign in reception stating that all room tariffs included breakfast, the receptionist said it does in fact depend on the room tariff as to whether breakfast is included or not and the room rates change each day. We didn't use any of the facilities or the restaurant - fearing what to expect once we had checked in to our rooms. There was nothing to recommend the hotel apart from the central location.

Had a few nights here to celebrate our anniversary. Lovely room, lovely staff, lovely food in restaurant and bar. Pool was great. Good car park. Walked to the sea front easily. Thanks to the staff for a great time away.

The "standard" room was rather small, but clean and everything worked, including the daily housekeeping. For a summer visit, the ability to create a draught through the room and bathroom windows was an advantage. The biggest advantage is the bus stop right outside and the closeness to the pleasant and quiet Greenhill section of the lovely Weymouth beach. The public areas in the hotel were not attractive so we never used them.

Booked direct by phoning hotel after struggling to make the booking online. The website would not give the options required. Reception staff were brilliant advised booking direct provided benefits like free use of the leisure centre. Requested a high room and agreed that if arriving earlier than check in time free parking at the hotel was available, after providing the vehicle registration. Long journey down, the last 60 miles from the M5 are slow. The hotel has a large car park on the front and at the rear, though some spaces are tight. Reception is clean, bright and cool and check in was efficient. The room was on the third floor, (lifts don't go here) and the last flight of stairs are steep and narrow, but we were aware of this at booking. The room looked like the furniture and fittings had been replaced recently and the bed was big and comfortable. Lots of drawer and reasonable amount of hanging space and benefited from two windows. The bathroom bright and modern with its own window. Everything was very clean. The hotel benefits from a leisure centre with a free pool, jacuzzi, sauna. Treatment rooms are bookable at an extra cost. Enjoyed a swim every day, though at times the pool did get busy, it was possible to get a lane swim early in the morning. Catering, breakfast is English style and outstanding, everything cooked was hot, constantly replenished and very tasty. A wide range of hot and cold options were available, buffet style. Evening meals were well prepared and presented, very hot with a reasonable choice of menu. Enjoyed a coffee in the bar at night which was quiet and relaxed. The staff are very hard working, polite and friendly. Bar and restaurant staff provide good and efficient service It's a short walk to the sea front, turning right goes to the town centre, turning left goes on a wide promenade past the RSPB sanctuary to the next village. The beach is predominantly pebble, but the further right it becomes more sandy. Plenty to see in Weymouth the harbour and marina is very active. Lots of cafes and restaurants to try.

Been here several years back in a family room, so a return visit, opted for better room being the Executive Option, lift access, 3rd floor. Reception bright and clean, I booked direct, access to the room was as stated at 3pm, but we arrived 90 mins early thinking we might get in early, sadly not, lucky though as I had a few Beers in the Pub I didn't see previously close by, and went there everyday. Plenty of parking(free) WiFi, free with strong signal. Spotless reception and hall ways, room was well appointed, we actually had some view of the White Horse (this is not a Hotel with views available as its not sea front), Start with the Bathroom, fantastic all fairly new and modern, and was certainly an executive Bathroom, lovely Towels, Walk in shower has rain and wall options, lots of soaps etc well lit,and very hot water, a deserving 10/10. Room, bright and airy with 2 tilt windows, and real blackout blinds, also a nice Tower Fan, large TV, coffee tea. biscuits,all got replaced when you wanted lots of cupboard/draw space and plug points, and clock radio, nice lighting apart from the odd bright white LED ceiling light, never used it. The tea/coffee Mugs in the room far too big for the tea/coffee sachets, these need much smaller ones. Hairdryer in the room, and a rather odd choice of ' fridge ' which is not a fridge, rather than a cooler box, so is pretty useless to be fair as it barely keeps things cool enough and never worked the first 2 days until I pulled it out and found the fan blocked a 30 second fix and it got cool-ish after, but a poor choice of a fixture imo. Furniture/decor etc was decent all fairly new I would say. Bed Exec King,was XL but terribly uncomfortable, hard and lumpy and the pillows were end of life, flat and lifeless was going to dial 999, so sleep quality was low in our room, sheets crisp and clean and it really was Blackout Blinds. We book here as we can use the steam/sauna which are great, along with indoor pool and Jacuzzi, and fitness room but you need a room passport and it was all inclusive as we book direct. Never used the bar this time, but it was spotless, glad I never booked Breakfast, did have it on 1 morning at £12.50, and felt I was not worth it, terrible Sausages had an odd taste no meat taste and no herb taste either, coffee typical poor quality from machine, there's plenty of choice and eat what you want, cold/hot and cold drinks, I did rate it high when we came before, but not this time round, so pleased that I never booked Breakfast for the week for 2. Friendly staff, very peaceful at night clean, safe and a 10 min walk to the Seafront and 20mins to the Quay/Harbour, its a good location, a good pub 2 mins away and great inexpensive cakes/pastry shop next door to that Pub along with a Tesco, Weymouth is a great resort and The Rembrandt is where will will always book,I am sure all feedback is welcome as how will they know what to improve, I am thinking about booking again soon price pending of course, so hope they renew the mattress and Pillows I also have some photos to add.

Everything about our stay was excellent, from check in to check out, maintaining quality of previous visits. super room and one of the best breakfasts we have had in a long time (although sausage bit 'bready'). Good on site parking. Staff very friendly and helpful. If we were to pick a fault some room access was difficult for anyone with any mobility issues. Would recommend discussing when booking.

Booked through booking.com so didn't get free use of the pool. You have to pay £6.50 per go but if you book directly with the hotel, it's free. We paid £294 for 2 nights not including breakfast so thought it was a bit mean to have to pay to swim. Nice pool too, but on view to whoever is in the dining room. This does have benefits if you have kids as you can keep an eye on them and eat in peace! So I can see both sides Room was nice, bed comfy, pillows rock hard. Nice shower good flow with steady temperature Fab in the room (tiny but adequate) Ate In the restaurant on both nights. Nice lasagne so recommend that ! Bus stop just outside hotel will take you to town on a number 2 or 10 It is only a ten minute walk to the actual beach and another 5 minutes to the town so not far but we did catch the bus on the one day as wasn't sure. Nice breakfast @ £12.50 pp Buffet style We would return Staff are friendly

My husband and I came to Weymouth for a 2 night stay. It's in walking distance of the town and seafront if you are mobile as it takes about 15 minutes but it is a lovely walk so doesn't feel quite so long . The hotel room was very cool in such extreme temperatures we had an amazing sleep. The rooms were clean and tidy. Shower head needed a clean but apart from that I couldn't fault the cleanliness. Shower was nice and powerful. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided and topped up each day, daily housekeeping. We didn't use the hotel facilities but the pool looked amazing and the public areas were clean and tidy! Parking was easy. Staff were really friendly. We would certainly stay again and would happily bring the children. Also for those planning on an evening out a Taxi back from the quay after a night out cost £6 . Thankyou BW for a lovely stay!

We stayed at the Rembrandt Best Western July 2 to July 9th 2022. The staff are amazing, very friendly and helpful. We stayed half board. The restaurant food is excellent. Very tasty, well presented and value for money.

Needed a great hotel that would help my disability needs. This was certainly a fantastic hotel, Lovely and spacious, Staff in every area were so helpful and kind. The food was excellent and the room was lovely and well serviced, pool, sauna and gym were an added bonus for my husband. Thanks to everyone who helped make our stay great, in fact we have already booked to come back later in the year. Can't thank you enough Best Western.

Great location a nice ten minute walk away from the seafront and Old Harbour with all the shops, bars and restaurants there. An easy way of reaching your 10,000 steps a day target. The breakfast buffet was very good and there was plenty of car parking spaces at the hotel. Great location, great staff, great food sums it up!

The hotel is a good base and you can get buses from directly outside the hotel into Weymouth and Dorchester… the room we had was spacious and clean, although an awful odour emanated from the toilet/bathroom. The breakfast is ok!!! A lot of the food had dried out, but edible…. Mediocre. The evening food was good, all in all an ok stay.

The hotel looked tired & outdated. It was close to the centre, the bed (exectutive) was very large but it was not worth the money. Shower was good but the doors banged all night & the toilet seat was poorly fitted. It was not deep cleaned.

We love this hotel, staff are so friendly. Shout out to Mike. By the second morning the Worcestershire Sauce was on table with a pint of iced water. Epic service. Rooms are clean housekeeping are smiley kind and nothing is too much trouble. Leisure facilities are clean and tidy pool is lovely. Hotels have had a huge amount of pressure after covid. Professional moaners are everywhere. We've eaten hotels across the world eaten brekky in 5 star places. This is one of the best full cooked English out there. If you have an issue tell them they will sort it. No fuss no bother. They know how to serve customers here their approaches are 5 star.

Our room was a little dated but very comfortable, good shower in the bath. Only issue was the toilet difficult to flush in our room 261. It was extremely quiet, being at the rear but with a reasonable view. Packets of biscuits replenished daily was a bonus. The restaurant had a good menu, the quality of food was superb, particularly the breakfasts which were buffet style but well tended by a keen young chef. Only issue here was the aircon immediately over a few tables was uncomfortable and chilly. The bar was well stocked, reasonable prices, comfortable surroundings. Hotel also offers lifts to all floors, indoor pool and jacuzzi, plus an extensive car park. It is well located being only five minute walk to the sea front, 15-20 minutes from town centre, with bus stops within 50 metres offering regular services every 10-15 mins into the town centre numbers 2/10. From there the coastal services depart and the train station is nearby. We enjoyed our stay at The Rembrandt and would recommend to our friends.

This is the second time this year we have stayed here. Lovely hotel, always clean, the rooms are spotless, breakfast fabulous. The staff are always helpful and polite, great location a short walk from town and directly on a bus route, we will definitely be back.

Decent size car park. Nice swimming pool for swimmers and little children. Delicious breakfast with lot of options. Short distance from waterfront and town center. Rooms spacious, clean and quiet. Our one was 248 at the back of the building.

This hotel was lovely, clean and nothing was too much trouble. We stayed here for the weekend, arrived on the Friday. The staff were really friendly throughout the stay. My kids got felt really cold on the Saturday night and we asked if we can have a portable heater as the room was chilly, they brought it up to us 15 mins later. The breakfast was lovely too, staff were very friendly and the pool was great. Only issue we had was some hit the front of the car whilst we parked the car in the park provided. Their CCTV camera does not cover the full car park. The person damaged the front of the car which annoyed and upset us as we wanted to have a weekend of stress free and family fun.

The room had been pre-payed, we were asked to pay on check-in. The room smelled of damp which was trying to be covered up by some kind of perfume plug which just made it worse. No hot water the first morning, Luke warm at best. There was hot water in the afternoon. A very poor introduction to English accommodation. Most decor was bland or grey.

Booked as a family break to celebrate 2 years since my father passing. The hotel is in a 7/10 location. Parking was good. The hotel reception was welcoming and open, including the staff. Rooms are not so easy to access too many doors between corridors especially with luggage. Steep stairs to upper floor, no lift. Staff are very professional and helpful and go above and beyond. However the hotel is in desperate need of of updating which felt like a dowdy experience with an unfresh smell along the corridor. However due to the great staff and brand name it can make for a 7/10 experience. Perhaps with an update this hotel could be rated a 10.

We were given the smallest room along a musty corridor and steep stairs with traffic noise. However the rest of the hotel seemed nice with a great leisure centre. Also the staff were helpful and friendly

My recent party for over 70 guests was exceptional. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and everything ran like clockwork. The food was delicious and many of the guests specifically commented on it. I would like to thank everyone who made my party so special and in particular the chef who listened to everything I asked and was most helpful.

Stayed at the Hotel Rembrandt when taking part in an Ultra challenge walk. Very conveniently located for near Lodmoor Country Park where the walk ended. Rooms available for 3 adults which we were looking for. Excellent breakfast, including cooked breakfast from 7am at the weekend which was well organised. Lots of hot water for baths after completing the sporting challenge and comfy beds. Staff were excellent, with a warm friendly welcome and efficient explanation of everything. Didn't get a chance to use the leisure facilities but gym and swimming pool are included in the price, which is great value. .

Very clean, very close to the city centre and the beach (15 - 20 minutes walk) with nice restaurant and a very warm pool. Pool was too shwallow (1.2m) but it is for children as well so it makes sense. Gym was clean but small. Room was spacious and very tidy and clean.

Great hotel staff go over and beyond to help with any request, food was lovely pool great , we will def return after the summer . The bar and it's staff were very accommodating with my dry martini in the evenings we love our superior executive room . Last but not least amazing cleaners everyday knocked on the door if we were in to replenish supplies .

Stayed for just over a week the staff in reception bar and restaurant where 5 star however I can't give the hotel 5 stars because the room was not cleaned during my stay yes bed was made cups changed but the sink toilet desk shower and carpet where not touched could get many stars but I'm afraid house keeping let's it down

We chose this hotel because it had on site parking which we though was a bonus. This 3 star hotel was average but we received good service, the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good. the location of the hotel is a short walk to the seafront but longer to the main part of the town.

A lovely stay. really comfortable bed. The room was nicely laid out - plenty of space for luggage. Decent wardrobe size. Very nice shower and amenities. The room was lovely and quiet too - just what I needed.

We came away with friends and booked up for two nights and were given rooms 267 & 268. The rooms were spacious, clean and tidy. The Shower room was perfect and spacious. Both our room and our friends had comfortable beds and we all slept very well. There was a terrific supply of Milk, Coffee, Tea, Sugar and biscuits which was much appreciated. In our room 268 the TV remote was not the easiest thing to operate and we did tend to give up trying to find channels etc but that was a minor thing. We never had an evening meal here as the town centre is only 15/20 minutes walkaway which is brilliant. There is plenty of parking at the hotel and more around the back. Breakfast every morning was amazing and we all ate very well and had absolutely no issues. In the evening we used to roll back into the hotel and have drinks at the bar. The service was always very good and the drinks reasonably priced. The hotel is in a great position to to access Weymouth and walking to the train station is only 10 minutes. It is a shame that the building next door is so dilapidated and in need of pulling down as this does detract from the Best Western itself. If its a hotel with stunning views and mesmerising landscape then this is certainly not the place for you. Having said that we loved it here for a short break and would certainly stay here again as the staff were very efficient and friendly. Thank you.

Very tired old feeling hotel, our room was off the staircase which had noise implications, we saw dust on the lamps in the evening, tv remote stopped working, bathroom was not inviting, bed was uncomfortable and hard. Generally just an old out of date hotel !! Needs an urgent update asap to keep up with todays standards. Staff were however generally very helpful so have no issues with the staff.

Great hotel . Woman desk assistant not pleasant. Shouldn't really be in customer services. I was in a room at the top near where seagulls were nesting. Please ask not to be there during egg time! It's noise noise noise time. I believe the hotel is not allowed to upset the gulls but be prepared to hear seagulls at 4am protecting their young. Otherwise it was an ok place to stay which was walking distance into the town centre.

Well, what can we stay. This hotel is excellent from start to finish. This was the first time we stayed here and it did not disappoint, so much so that they have made repeat customers out of us! The warm, happy, friendly reception team instantly put you in a good mood when you arrive, I felt like I had known the lady who checked us in for years, she was just great. Bedrooms were clean, fresh, spacious, perfect. My only complaint was that the room was a little warm, however a fan was provided. The amount of milk and tea and coffee in the room was brilliant. Usually other hotels give you 1 milk each, they gave us plenty - perfect to have a decent amount of milk in the room, not having to ring down and ask for more. Well done! The pool was brilliant! The young lad working on the pool was lovely. He kept checking the pool, taking readings, cleaning, he never stopped working! The bar was great, with a door leading out to the pool, I felt like I was abroad! The bar staff again were so friendly. Every person who works at this hotel is delightful and clearly enjoys their job and are fantastic brand ambassadors for Best Western. The staff make this hotel special. Thank you for a lovely stay. We will be back every year!

Never stayed with Best Western but do travel with my work in the UK. This was an unplanned stay as the ex-wife had booked two nights with our children as a mini break. Unfortunately she couldn't make it and was too late to cancel so offered me it instead. I spoke with Reception about the intended change and they just needed a confirmation email from the lead name. Arrived and all had been sorted. On arrival there is parking to the front with a couple of steps up. There's level access to the rear in two other parking areas. Smooth check in and is a pleasant marbled floor area which leads to the pool and treatment area and the bar/restaurant. Lift access to the three floors. Our room was quite basic and plain but was clean and nicely set out. Generous complimentary tray plus toiletries in the bath room. Large flat screen TV on the wall as well as phone to Reception. We had the family room and which comprised a large double bed plus two singles which integrate into one. Linen was lovely and clean and the beds really comfy. Bathroom has normal size room with integrated shower. Nice size. Views from the side and rear aren't great but that was of no consequence to us. No sea views I'd say. We used the swimming pool over the three days and which was great for the kids. A large shallow pool (0.6m?) and a 1.2m deep pool. There's a bar terrace overlooking the pool plus numerous chairs around the poolside. There's no dedicated lifeguard and that's made plain on arrival and so children/adults do need to follow the rules on supervision. The water was warm and there is a spa bath too, which is poolside. Staff are attentive and generally present but the supervision lies with responsible adults. They keep the area clean and tidy and are really helpful. Of particular note is Katherine, the Manager of the Fitness Suite, as well as her colleague Paige. Both were chatty and had good local knowledge so I could pick their brains on stuff and so made things easier for our stay. Interacted really well with my children so that made them feel special. There's a bar adjacent which is open sensible hours. Limited range of normal beers, ciders and lagers without any premium draughts. But in any case there's something for everyone. At the time we visited the dining room had been closed off as it was quiet in terms of visitors. However there was a bar menu which served its purpose and we ate there on the first night. It has a childrens menu too and was fairly reasonable in price. Bar staff were very helpful on local knowledge too and again helped me out on some things. Overall, for the money paid for a family room, (£142.00 for two nights) it was a really fair deal. Maybe there is a rolling programme of updating the premises but I would certainly use it again. Free WiFi which was of a reasonable speed and I had good EE mobile phone coverage (4g) throughout the complex. It's not far from the northern end of the seafront, but is some distance on foot to the town. Plenty of public transport there and an ideal base to explore. Nearby is Morrisons and Sainsbury's plus a couple of chain pubs. Train station near too but not sure how practical in terms of walking with luggage. I'll certainly use Best Western again on my travels. Thank you BW Weymouth!!

The room was cold. Called reception and told the heating is off. Brought electric heater. After what has been a very stressful time recently we were watching tv when at 11.15pm at the start of a Bank Holiday weekend there was knock at the door and member of staff told us to turn the tv down. We turned it off. In the morning the bathroom door sqeaked so much when my partner opened it that it woke me up. In the bathroom is a sign explaining that the door must be closed when showering to prevent steam setting off fire alarm. The extractor fan only works if the light is switched on. But in broad daylight no need for light so may be missed. Guess what 8.30 ish fire alarm. When we got outside we were told it was steam "or summing" in a room. So why hasnt it this issue been sorted. Our bathroom had no non slip mat(s) at all and the shower and all tiled floor became very slippery. We both elderly and were quite freaked. Finally ( unless something else happens before we leave) there is a very dangerous step outside our room at the top of stairs. Only a sign on the wall which is behind opened door.

It's very over priced, the room we stayed in had a broken window handle so we couldn't shut the window, when reported we were told someone would come the day after and fix it, this didn't happen, we were there for 3 night and no one came. We said we didn't feel comfortable with leaving our stuff in a room, with a unlocked window, to be told nothing they could do about this. The restaurant looked like a cafe, the food was very overpriced, there were no table cloths, candles or anything. I asked if I could change the blue cheese potatoes on the fillet steak for chips, as I don't like cheese, to be told no the chef won't do that! This was very disappointing! Overall the stay wasn't what we expected, for that price.

We had a great experience and totally felt welcome. From our check in to the service at breakfast/ dinner and at the bar- we had no complaints. The rooms were super clean and tidy and were even freshened up between our 2 night stay. My children had so much fun in the pool and my husband and I loved the steam and sauna facilities. Couldn't find fault with our short stay!

This hotel was delightful for a recent stay. Good location and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and offered tea/coffee in the room. Having a pool for a quick dip was great. Breakfast was great with a good selection on offer.

Second time staying here, asked for same room which we had. Breakfast was included, breakfast is very very good! Self service which it wasn't last time due to covid. Lots of options. Use of leisure. We went swimming everyday. Use of gym and sauna and steam room. Which is so fab and handy to have. Free parking which is a bonus. Not too bad of walk to town centre and the beach. Room was clean and tidy. Use of phone was amazing to call other rooms and receptions etc. we stayed 3 nights and had housekeeper top up loo roll and clean towels and even made our beds. Didn't ask for that but they did it. Will be coming back again. Recommending to others also! Price has increased alot, but with covid and price increases it is expected. Staff are very friendly And always happy to help. My only bad point was how Dirty the tv remote was!! Was pretty grim. But overall was brill.

All the staff were polite and helpful. The food was excellent, decent portions and fairly priced. Will definitely be going back in the future, only this time we will stay for longer. Was only a 5/10 minute walk away from activities.

I stayed here with family for a few days and thoroughly enjoyed, the reception staff couldn't do enough for us to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one, lovely rooms. Plenty of parking and flat roads around hotel made getting to and from he beach easy and enjoyable within minutes. Wonderful, courteous and polite breakfast staff and amazing food to ensure a great start to our days. Fantastic pool and leisure facilities, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone coming to Weymouth and we look forward to our return.

I book the hotel for my stay during the Jurassic Coast Challenge. The room was very good and clean. The staff was friendly and the chef was very acoomodating as he prepared my breakfast earlier due to the early start times of the event.

Great place to relax in and enjoy Weymouth and the surrounding countryside which is so easy get to from the hotel. The beach and the town is very clean and car parking is excellent and modestly priced.

Local to the sea ,shops ,hotel staff polite ,rooms very old fashion and need updating a little expensupive compared to other hotels that are more modern and cleaner ,paint work in rooms a bit shabby and bath was cracked by the plug hole ,use of swimming pool was an advantage and very good sauna etc,breakfast very good quality food and a lot of choice for all the family to enjoy ,internet very good for all the family gadgets.just the price we felt was a lot for the room which needed updated for 2022 .

We stayed at this hotel during Feb half term and had a brilliant time. The staff are very welcoming and the room was perfect with a lovely big bathroom, double bed and 2 twin beds. Room was very clean and each time we ran out of tea supplies we were given more without question. Breakfast was £12.50 each which I thought was a bit steep but the kids eat free which helped. There was plenty of choice with cereal, fruit, pastries and a big selection of hot breakfast items which you could help yourself to. We went to the swimming pool on the first day and whilst the kids enjoyed it we couldn't stay too long because it was far too cold. Jucuzzi was nice but very small and hogged constantly by non residents with membership passes who felt they owned it. On the 2nd night we ate in the restaurant and whilst the food and service was very good I felt they could of made more of an effort to make it look less like the breakfast room. Even a partion from the serving areas, flowers and a candle would have improved it massively. All in all an excellent place to stay though and very well located for those wanting to enjoy Weymouth and the beach.

Clean hotel, staff efficient, parking at front and rear of hotel, close to the seafront (short 5/10 min walk) we had an accessible room (although didn't need one) which was large and well equipped, can't comment on other rooms as didn't see any. Bar area was pleasant to sit in, unwind and have a drink. Didn't use the restaurant, however, had starters in bar area which were ok. Room wasn't cleaned when they said it would be so had to keep asking at reception for supplies.

Very friendly staff , leisure centre well maintained , clean and very popular with local residents and hotel guests .Guest room very comfortable and clean . Food was good especially breakfast choices .

Excellent hotel, very welcoming staff, lovely pool and hot tub with large fluffy towels, room very clean , staff go one step beyond to help. large free car park, very central to town. Lovely food and drink. great Wi Fi speed in room, great help.

Finger nail clipping on bedside table on entry to room. Unbearably hot all day and night (despite windows being open - in Feb). However, pool was good, and internet was fast. We didn't eat there, so can't comment on the food. Wouldn't return, but was reasonably priced. So, mixed bag.

My husband and I stayed at this lovely hotel ,the staff in reception were friendly, our room was clean and spacious,.I had booked direct so pool ,sauna and steam rooms were in included in the price, so I enjoyed in the afternoon a dip in pool ,the jaquassi and the sauna were all great, staff there were very helpful and welcoming, we later had a lovely meal in their restaurant where food was very good and after a good night sleep enjoyed a great breakfast, we have stayed in Weymouth many times but this was a first to this hotel but we definitely would return and recommend to others ,there is a bus which runs outside the hotel into Weymouth town centre or you could walk which is a out 10 to 15min depending on how slow or fast you walk or like us we chose a taxi which was very reasonable all in all a lovely overnight stay .

The hotel staff where very helpful. Room was Clean and Service was great. Leisure facilities where very good - was a bit busy in the afternoon but still very good. Location is great for walking into Weymouth

Few points that are just disappointing, - I payed £140 for a 2 night stay in a room I have got bigger from a premier inn, where other people in my group have gotten twice the size for the same amount of money. - Payed nearly £10 for 2 drinks!!! - Woken up every morning at 7 by hotel stuff cleaning rooms and others nagging doors - Only positive thing was the staff, they were lovely and helped us all with what we needed. Wouldn't stay again but thank you to the staff for the only positive thing to come out, from staying here! :/

An excellent Sunday roast dinner but could not return again due to the noise level. With families and large groups it was difficult to enjoy a very good meal, or talk. It is a wooden floor and no drapes. Such a pity. Maybe another visit on a week day.

We chose this hotel mainly for its location for sightseeing and the availability of parking on site - although note that some of the spaces are small and tricky for larger cars. It's about a ten minute walk down to town and five minutes the other way to some good takeaways and a Tesco Local. We had a room at the back of the hotel which was quiet although far too warm, even with the radiator off and the windows open. We booked a double room but it turned out to gave an additional single bed. This was no use to us and a sofa or table and chairs might have been better. However the room was clean, included a kettle, tea, coffee and some packets of biscuits. No fridge, which would have been useful. Bathroom also clean, included one tiny soap and two small bottles each of shampoo and conditioner. I think we were a long way from the hot water tank though, as it took over two minutes for the shower to warm up. Note that rooms are not made up if you are only staying two nights or less. Breakfast was ok, fairly standard hot and cold buffet. Nothing made to order though. We didn't use the pool but it looked good for small children, less so for serious swimming. Overall, we were happy with our stay which was just for a weekend to explore Weymouth and the Jurassic Coast and the hotel met our basic needs..

We booked this for a Saturday night stay - a family room (double / single beds) on a prepaid B&B rate. To be fair, £90 is not excessive, so our expectations should have been set accordingly. Upon arrival, parking was fairly easy and the friendly lady on reception allowed us to check in early. Our room was on the first floor, overlooking the rear of the hotel, so no external noise issues. The room was functional but not exactly the most modern. The general feeling in the hotel is that everything is a bit tired. The leisure club is a bonus, but be aware its quite small, so can get busy quickly. The bar was fine and in line with hotel drinks prices. One fairly significant issue is that the walls are unfortunately paper thin. This was probably the biggest bug bear, and you frequently heard doors banging as people returned from Saturday nights out during the early hours. Therefore, ensure you aren't a light sleeper! Breakfast the next morning was good, and again represented good value. The hotel is well placed for sea front - about a ten minute walk. Conclusion: OK for a night or two, but I'd hesitate for longer. Its on par price wise with the Premier Inn, so that may also be worth considering.

The hotel appearance was lovely and the food was exceptional. The room was clean and spacious. However, the pool was not working and we had decided to pay more and book the hotel due to the facilities on offer. We travelled with a young child who was in his swimwear and read got enter the pool when we were rudely told it was out of order. We felt we could have been told prior to getting ready and did not appreciate the attitude of staff. We then had to book swimming elsewhere due to the upset this had caused and when I tried to talk to staff on the front desk, she was very rude and sarcastic. This was unhelpful and unnecessary in front of our child.

We stayed in the hotel for NYE 2021. The staff were great, there was plenty of parking, great location (5 mins walk from the seafront), and the breakfast was great. The hotel allowed us to check in early and our family room was huge. Just a couple of bad points. There was a used female hygiene product left in our bathroom bin (easily missed but what else did they miss when cleaning). Also the pool family changing rooms disgustingly dirty. The baby changing table can't have been cleaned for months. Even our 4 year old noticed it, along with the filthy floor. Also the pool was too cold for our baby, and we noticed quite a few ‘floaty bits' in the pool and had hairs stuck to us a few times. But overall we had a great nights stay.

We do not live far from Weymouth. Just a one hour casual drive from our home in Poole. We have enjoyed several good stays at the Rembrandt and this was no exception. As always we arrived a little early but that was not a problem as our room was ready. We had asked for a particular room on the ground floor with a garden view. This was waiting for us and spotlessly clean. The only problem was that I could not get the radiator to work. However, a quick word to the assistant manager soon had that fixed and we luxuriated in a lovely warm room for our entire stay. In fact the assistant manager was very helpful to us on a couple of occasions. We dined in the hotel for dinners on our first and last nights and as always enjoyed our meals. Due to the shortage of guests, (this was the week before Christmas), there was no breakfast hot buffet. However, there was a menu of all the usual breakfast items and service was carried out by the waiting staff. Which, to be honest I much prefer. Buffets are not really my thing. Due to covid the room was cleaned and serviced every second day. But on the cleaning day we found it, once again, spotless. Our thanks go to the great staff at the hotel. They are worth their weight in gold. A great stay which, hopefully, we will repeat in February.

Efficient staff, pleasant room with suitable facilities for a person with reduced mobility. Would definitely recommend . I was travelling with my elderly father who requires some assistance. The family room with walk in shower was perfect.

WOW …. We held our wedding reception here on December 11th and had 70 guests. Kate the events manager was Friendly,Supportive and there for us from day one. On the day everything was perfect: Venue -Amazing., Clean Food - Absolutely delicious Staff - Fantastic Service - Spot on If you are planning your wedding these guys have will make your day amazebubbles

Had a lovely weekend away with family my father who is 94 had a nice ground floor room with wet room . Staff were very good food good lovely pool with hot tub sauna and steam room . Not to far from the beach nice walk in the summer . We will return ..

I was here for a function and found all the staff very willing to ensure you enjoyed Yr stay and the catering was excellent as well. I had an issue in my room which was solved with a number of solutions offered and which were very acceptable to me

The room is clean. 3rd floor lifts is not working. Shaun call room service for 2 bottles of water because too many stairs to go back down to the bar. Nice bath in the morning. Now to breakfast the is very nice and have 2 pain au chocolate

I've stayed at the Rembrandt Hotel several times and found the staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel amenities and services are excellent and the hotel is in a great location being a few minutes from the beach and a ten minute walk along the promenade to the town centre.

Hotel could do with a complete overhaul - room very outdated with one main light overhead with low bulb. Side light on one bedside not working. Could not use the swimming pool as it was totally full of children - from around 4 pm plus. It was not very inviting with dirty water. This put us off and we did not wish to eat there in evening or for breakfast. Staff mostly friendly though.

Visited this hotel to meet up with an old friend on Sat 6th November. Found plenty of parking which is a bonus in Weymouth. Easy level access and although the dinning room wasn't open for meals the bar area was manned and was serving a limited light selection of foods. We had hot soup and a variety of sandwiches, plus tea and coffee, all served by a very pleasant young man behind the bar named James. What a surprise it was to find that the seating overlooked the swimming pool and we were able to sit and watch the antics of the young children with their parents, that alone would have kept us amused for some time! The kitchen is open from 12-2pm but drinks and teas and coffees were available throughout the day. The women's toilets were immaculate and had probably had a very recent refurb.

We arrived at the hotel and we're staying in a front facing room the road outside was extremely busy and with the windows open it was a problem. On day 3 I spoke to a lovely girl in reception called Gemma asking for a room at the rear of the hotel as road to noisy, she was brilliant and as we are GW members got a free upgrade and all our luggage was taken to our upgraded room for us. The leisure facilities were fantastic , but had to close early one day due to lack of staff which was disappointing. The staff were friendly and hotel had loads of parking and in a good location.

The hotel is very dated and uninspiring our room was very cramped for a family room you could not move between the beds... had to climb into bed from the bottom of the bed. The window was mouldy and the net curtain torn. The bathroom was dated with no non slip mat provided for the bath and in 2 mornings no hot water for a shower. The dining room is very clinical with no tablecloths and staff did not remove cutlery from previous diners. Breakfast was OK with a fair choice. The pool was good although the changing room is tiny and was not very clean on occasions, and due to staff shortages had reduced opening hours, was not open at all 1 afternoon. The best thing about the hotels the lovely staff

Stayed for a week wished we hadn't. Booked what was supposed to be there best room. Walked in to a large room with a large bed then it all went down hill looked like it's not been touched since the 1980s artex on the ceiling magnolia walls and a beige carpet, cheap flat pack furniture. Old mattress omg the pillows were hard foam slabs. The bathroom was pretty good looking, nice large shower not enough water pressure to get the monsoon shower head to give more than a dribble. Shower tray slippery when wet no grab rail for safety. Housekeeping rubbish came on the 3rd day only made the bed didn't clean didn't change bedding or towels. Came again on 5th day changed bedding and towels. Did a bit of cleaning but missed most of the carpet missed cleaning all of the thick dust on all of the surfaces it was that thick when I ran my hand over my bed side cabinet it was completely covered. Bar has 3 faux leather sofas all with worn out springs and surface peeling off. The windowless dining room is cold clinical no table clothes no service. Worst coffee ever and if you want fresh food get there early as it sits in the self service from 6.30 until 10. The only good thing I can say is the pool is very good.

I was very disgusted by the lack of a toilet brush to clean the loo. Worse still your bi-daily room cleaning (that's weird, never experienced anything like it) did not clean the loo, presumably because there was no brush. Unacceptable. I told your staff on checkout, they made an excuse that it was probably COVID security, hogwash, if so the staff would just need to wipe the handle of the brush, so simple compared to other restrictions. There was no hot water morning or night, again unacceptable. I don't normally complain but I'm furious about your lack of cleanliness so explain why and what you intend to do about this.

Very well located hotel, easy walk into main shopping area and amenities. Close to public transport links as well. Staff very helpful. Rooms comfortable. Would be happy to stay there again. My son enjoyed using the gym facilities.

A very comfortable stay - I slept like a log! Nothing fancy- the bedroom was compact and breakfast okay apart from the coffee. The leisure club has a good sauna and steam room. Best of all, every single member of staff gave excellent service. Thank you.

Food was standard. The stay was standard however overpriced for what you are presented with. Was not pleased when hearing vulgar language from kitchen staff when walking by and the front of house staff were not very interactive. Felt very awkward.

Stayed here for one night whilst visiting the area with friends. The room was clean, tidy and well equipped. The staff were friendly and polite. There is ample parking at the front of the hotel. The facilities at the hotel are brilliant and easily accessible.

Six of us met up for a reunion and selected the Rembrant. It was an ideal hotel for the trip. The aar park makes it easy to use ( rare in Weymouth ). The location was ideal to walk to the town or get out to Isle of Portland. We used the restraunt both nights as it was very good. Good food and very helpful staff. As it is customary to now comment on Covid protocols., We thought they were very good and took the task seriously. Very nice stay and the six of us enjoyed it.

For the price that we were paying, and given that we were staying at the end of September, not high summer, we were a bit disappointed. But let's start with the positives. There is plenty of parking at both the front and rear of the hotel and it's FREE! The leisure club is also free and, whilst we didn't use the pool, I made use of a treadmill in the gym' on two occasions, one of which was much preferable to going outside in the pouring rain! It was fairly late when we arrived and we noticed that the room was quite cool. We turned up the radiator but nothing appeared to happen and we discovered on the next morning that the heating hadn't been turned on yet. In fairness, we were offered a heater which arrived soon afterwards. (A couple of days later, the heating did come on!) There was no bath, just a shower, and, with a lack of grip rails and no mat, it was quite slippy. Again, when this was pointed out, we were given a mat. We ate in on two evenings. The menu, whilst lengthy, was quite "safe hotel fare" with limited choice for vegetarians. And, although the restaurant was quite quiet (on both occasions), we had to wait for a table due to a shortage of kitchen staff. But there are a few good restaurants in the town centre, if you're happy to walk the 15 minutes. I particularly recommend Mona's (Thai).

Stayed one night. Reception was fast and friendly. Room was small, as are many BW single rooms. Room clean and well lit. Bed was comfy, medium size TV and tea/coffee facilities (with biscuits). Bathroom ok... Grouting around bath not best. Breakfast was extra (12.50) and was well specified buffet.

We booked this for a short stay of 2 nights whilst visitng a local attraction. On arrival check in was quick and the staff were super friendly and helpful. We booked a family room however when we got to the room there was an issue which I went back to reception to resolve. I must say this was dealt with professionally and quickly and I was allocated a new larger room. I think a manager followed me up immediately and came to the original allocated room, he couldn't apologise enough and this was followed by a call to our new room from reception to ask if everything was OK. What could have been a bad situation was dealt with swiftly and professionally. Thank you! The new room was really big, clean and just what I expected. We used the pool and facilities and these were clean, well maintained and the young girl on the lesuire part was friendly and helpful. The restaurant although needed to be booked as it fills up quite quickly was really lovely, the food although menu limited was outstanding and exceeded my expectations. The staff were always helpful and when we didn't book on arrival for the first or second night originally they accomodated us both nights. I am sure you can eat out cheaper but for us this was good enough and the standard of food was great. Overall I would not hesitate to come back, infact we are already looking for next year. The only downside is although there is parking it is really tight if you have a biggish car and I imagine it gets full in peak season. Special thanks to Tracey (I think) on the reception when I raised the issue with the room for sorting us out so quickly.

Great place, so close to the beach and town, all within walking distance. Everything you need. Staff very helpful. Been a few times and will keep coming back. Great value for money rooms nice and spacious. Breakfast lovely and loads to choose from.

Room Clean has every thing you need, Staff helpful and smiling, Lounge area inviting, bar menu could be alittle better, but what they offered was enjoyable and cooked, Restaurant atomsphere was clinical (bit like a seafront cafe) so only had breakfast plenty to have and set us up for the day not inviting for evening sitting also you had to book by lunchtime! how do you know if you fancy that while your out all day..

Kind clean and very helpful nothing was too much for any members of staff the leisure centre was clean showers were lovely and we always felt at ease and felt we could ask any information we needed. We came back home feeling very refreshed and relaxed

We had the most amazing de stressing full body massage from Neo spa Weymouth thanks to the brilliant Cheryl. The swimming pool and steam room were great too. The treatment room was set up just right to create the the most relaxing atmosphere and We felt pampered from the moment we went through the door. Fantastic, not to be missed , all on one level so would recommend to everyone.

Excellent experience. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast, evening meal and bar. We will be returning June 2022 and really looking forward to it. Five minute walk to massive sandy beach, ten minutes to town center. Kids will love it!

Some of the public areas need a refresh, especially the corridors. Room rate excessive for size and standard of room. Reception staff professional and friendly. Good location with short walk or a bus ride to the seafront. I would probably try somewhere else next time.

Nice sized room. Good amenities. Friendly staff. High standard of cleanliness. Parking available both at the front and rear of the Hotel with electric charging points. Easy to find. Within 10 minute walk of the town and seafront.

A repeat annual visit with Grandchildren resulted in another very enjoyable stay. The staff have worked hard to maintain standards despite the virus and we found them both friendly and very efficient. Our every request was met promptly. Breakfast and dinner were excellent and reasonably priced. Children 12 and under receive a free breakfast. Wi-Fi worked well in the room. The children enjoyed the pool and there are now no time restrictions on entry. Plenty of free parking, especially useful as you are only 10 minutes from the Greenhill Beach. The building is ageing but is still very functional and has a pleasant ambiance. Would certainly return again. It's ideal for a family holiday.

Would definitely stay again, maybe have a selection of pillows and shower curtain doesn't work that well so floods the bathroom. Maybe bar staying open a bit longer but none of these things would stop us staying again.

My self and family had a great time at the Rembrandt hotel Weymouth. The amenities are fantastic, And the staff are great. J.p. Mann. I would definitely go back to the hotel again,as it is in a really good position.

I'm going to start with the room,quite big and clean, the breakfast was amazing,they offer a large choice of hot food,fruits,juice,tea, we've really enjoy it. The swimming pool is quite big, I've really enjoyed the sauna. It's located really close to the beach. Per total it was perfect.

Nice clean hotel but the room was a bit of a let down as no air-conditioning and the windows were behind the kitchen vent hum. The swimming pool was excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Good friendly hotel, had family room and daughter liked having a proper bed rather than a pull out, room was clean, little dated but was happy with everything, breakfast was excellent, 10 min walk to town max, pool was clean. Jacuzzi was not working and we got some noise from corridors and from laundry trolleys outside. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Excellent buffet breakfast , nice family friendly pool, and clean pleasant rooms, with friendly staff. 10 minutes walk from the beach for a family with a three year old. Car parking can be a bit of an issue when the function room has been hired out.

Really great place to stay with loads of things to do in the hotel such as gym, pool, steam room and sauna included in the stay. If you want to treat yourself there is a spa for treatments which are reasonable priced. The restaurant serve good food

Fantastic Hotel. Booked last minute. Room was super clean, had all the essentials, mini toiletries, mini firdge, big tv! Breakfast was a help yourself which tasted amazing. everything was very clean and organized! Safe were very friendly and helpful. 5 minute walk to the beach. walking distance to all the attractions! 10/10 would recommend!

We love coming to stay at the Rembrandt. The facilities are great and the staff are hard working and friendly. Nothing is ever too much trouble. They have adapted so well to covid changes. We miss the fuller menu and cavery but the food we did eat here was great quality and tasty.

The hotel itself is a bit old, however the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Swimming pool good size but I personally felt t a little dirty, might be it was late in the day and lots of children had been in pool. We had a double bed,and single bed in room with en-suite, tea and coffee making facilities, floor a bit wonky and pillow a bit hard to our families liking. Easy walk to sea front and pier, car parking easily available out front. Supermarkets up road

I spent couple days at the hotel my wife booked our stay with our 6 year old son I was very impressed with the customer service in hotel I notice everyone had a smile and any request you make they do their best to help This would have been 5 star if the hotel just had some basic in place There is no fridge in the room and no room service, COVID May play a part but at least offer extra towels as you need to go to reception to pick them up The swimming pool with a good shallow end for young kids and parking at no extra cost main facilities If the have fridge and basic room service are in place this would be a sure 5 star Thank you for great customer service

This was last minute booking gift to celebrate my son birthday and one thing that stood out and made my stay is the customer service and how helpful the staff are at the hotel The service really out weighed the actual facilities available at the hotel This is why I given the hotel high score due to the people at the hotel but the the actual hotel needs a lot of work this hotel can easy be 5 star hotel if they just make the following changes Areas of improvement No fridge in rooms- how can you not have fridge in the room, even small fridge to deal with summer heat No room service -we had no other coming to clean our room as COVID restrictions has eased, they could have had this in place Old decor some parts of the hotel needs a bit of TLC and be out dated Positive Free parking no additional cost of parking on site Swimming pool free swimming pool access and great shallow end for small children Summary I really admire how the staff were friendly and try their best to help you Not having a fridge is something for me I need especially staying in the summer months Hope they take feedback on board as I will be back if they can get this in place Poi The other two factors for my score is free parking and swimming pool which is ideal for younger children I would of

We booked an executive room for 2 nights and whilst we did NOT expect a seaview we certainly did not expect a view of two toilet pipes! If it bothers you what you see from your window, please ask them when you book your room! The hotel and room itself was clean and pleasant though.

This hotel did not meet the standards we would expect for a 3* Hotel. Our room was not serviced for the entirety of our stay, and we were not informed of this until just before our stay, long after having paid for the room, and after the cancellation deadline. We feel that we have been grossly overcharged for room-only, when we were looking forward to a special holiday. We had to go up and down to reception to collect tea, toilet rolls, towels, etc. and had to buy our own wipes to clean the room. Our sink plug was also broken, and didn't get fixed during our stay despite reporting it on arrival. No compensation has been offered, and we were not given the service we paid for. COVID restrictions were blamed, but most other hotels we've heard about and stayed in have had their rooms serviced. We will not stay there again, and are extremely disappointed with the standard copy and paste response from Best Western. £200 a night for room-only, with no service whatsoever, is just not acceptable.

I stayed one night on business. Unfortunately I didn't have a nice view. All I could see was other peoples windows/rooms and a roof with air conditioning units. The room was very very hot, around 10 degrees more than outside. I think this would be due to the enclosed outside space which the window opened into to and maybe because I think my room was almost on top of the kitchen. There was a fan provided however it didn't cool me down enough to get an adequate sleep. The hotel is within walking distance of the beach and perhaps that makes it a better choice in the area.

This was a last minute booking following the cancellation of a foreign travel break, when this was one of only a few options our hopes were low for quality and service, but I cannot express enough how wrong this was. Every single staff member went above and beyond to be pleasant, helpful, polite and respectful. Each going out of their way to answer every question quickly accurately and honestly. Will absolutely visit this hotel again in the future and we intend to try other locations in the hotel chain.

Late booked break on ‘freedom day' and a rare heatwave. Had looked in town centre where stayed before but parking issues and availability made me look elsewhere. Hotel is seemingly out of town but far from it. Minutes to beach, town, bus handy, quiet, comfortable, all facilities & parking. Staff, room superb. + pool etc! Due to late booking, had what was described as a smaller room, but far from it. Had every facility, clean, quiet and comfortable. OK, no exterior window but that was ok bearing in mind late booking, and Utd only made it more peaceful. I'll be back, and if this was the only room available, I'd be content. And praise to a friendly, professional staff.

Stayed for 3 nights recently on the top floor of the part that as no lift, you wouldn't want to carry heavy luggage up to the room as the stairs are quiet steep, room was a decent size but the flat roof outside the window had some sort of extraction unit on it that was noisy for 24 hours a day and could be heard even with windows closed. TV didn't always seem to have a signal which wasn't a big deal for us but could be for others. We paid to have breakfast 1 morning and it was £25 for 2 of us which was ok but should really be included when paying nearly £500 for a 3 night stay. Leisure facilities are nothing special and the pool is quite small but is included in the cost of your stay as is parking. Hotel is in a decent location and only a short walk to the seafront but in my opinion is way overpriced and because of this I probably wouldn't stay again

We had an evening meal here twice while on holiday. We enjoyed the food which was well presented, cooked and served. The waitresses were friendly, efficient and looked after us very well. If I were to see a down side it was the decoration of the room which was a little tired so reduced the effect and the enjoyment- but that is really Knit picking.

The hotel is convenient the town and beach. There is plenty of parking. All the staff were friendly and helpful The rooms were a bit ‘tired'. There were marks on the walls and paintwork, plus cobwebs on the ceiling in the bedroom. ‘COVID' rules for some reason means that the rooms are only cleaned every 4 days and you have get to clean towels, toilet rolls, etc etc from the front desk. I really don't understand this. For the price the room should be serviced every day. The reception was busy and there were often queues. Same person answering the phone and the front desk. We ate in the restaurant twice. The food was ok and service good but a bit basic. The breakfast buffet was fine but exactly the same food every day, a bit more variety would be good Overall it was ok but too expensive. However, with the problems with foreign travel at present I guess the management don't need to worry about the prices, except that customers will remember when things get back to normal!

Did not receive the quality of serve expected, or paid for. When compained, received a standard letter of apology accepting our complaint, but took the money, even if they did not gi e the contracted seevice

stayed 2 nights june 2021.what a disappointment.the room was cramped,carpet badly needed cleaning,noise from machinery on outside flat roof, noise from other rooms ie when other showers were used can only think it was from rooms above.the only place it looks like money is spent is where you have to spend money,ie leisure facilities,restaurant and the bar area.badly overpriced, in desperate need of a makeover plus points,staff were pleasant and helpful in all areas. the food and selection in the restaurant was excellent.toilets round the hotel were kept in excellent condition.would we stay there again,very definitely sadly no.

Dreadful filthy, so old fashioned , needs total revamp dirty TV remote covered in food during Covid too..over priced £175 a night , never again, so disappointed. So many other nice hotels around for half the price, don't do it shop around ..!

Starting with a positive the reception staff were friendly especially Gemma who was welcoming and friendly. The total price was expensive for a 5 night stay. Breakfast not included! Before we arrived we received an email stating that we would not get any room servicing- for 5 nights ! On check in we were then advised we would get service after 3 nights ! But when we asked on day 4, we were abruptly asked what do we want ! Clean towels, toilet roll and a general clean would be nice. We got clean towels - that was it! We had to ask for toilet rolls! The bin was full- not emptied, no clean cups, no hoover around. We are tidy and don't mind making our own bed . But this was very poor service ! We had breakfast once and it was over cooked, cold and poor quality. The dining room was more like a hospital canteen with no atmosphere or ambiance! It's exactly the same for dinner - no change. No Windows / natural light. Fortunately there are plenty of good Restaurants In Weymouth. The bar area was just as unwelcoming. The staff do not engage with guests. Not a great experience and we will not return. This property needs some investment and customer service training . We did send an email to the hotel before we left, but did not receive a reply.

We enjoyed a four night stay at this pleasant, modern hotel a short walk from the seafront and town centre. Our double room on the third floor appeared to have been refurbished recently. The bed was comfortable, sound proofing was effective, there were two easy chairs, plenty of drawers and reasonably fast WIFI. The bathroom had a walk in shower that could have benefited from a grab rail. Room cleaning restrictions were in force but Housekeeping was quick to respond to any requests for linen, supplies etc. Breakfast was a plentiful and varied hot and cold buffet. All staff throughout the hotel were extremely helpful and pleasant.

Check in was poor with hardly in information given. When we got to room it had a strong smell of tobacco smoke and being non smokers it was annoying. Television signal kept going so could not watch properly. Breakfast every morning was cold and left in buffet to go hard. When checking out was charged for drinks we never had. Overall poor service and only good thing was location.

Came here for two nights this week with my two youngest (age 17 and 12). Communication prior to our arrival was excellent. Reception staff on check in and check out very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, well appointed (bearing in mind in contained a double bed plus two singles), with plenty of storage, comfortable beds, blackout blinds and, most importantly, very clean. TV with plenty of channels, complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits, plus a hair dryer that actually worked well (unusual for most hotels!) and plenty of sockets. Due to covid your room is not serviced during your stay but should you require anything (milk, toiletries, clean towels etc) you apparently just need to ask. Plenty of free parking (again a bonus when staying at hotels these days). You have to book a swimming slot in advance - 45 minutes (which we had done prior to our arrival) – the pool, therefore, was not overcrowded, but the changing rooms are not open so you have to dry off poolside! Location wise you are within walking distance to the beach and plenty of attractions (we visited Sea Life Centre, Sandworld, Weymouth Harbour and Nothe Forte plus ate at Enzos, Fish n Fritz, Dorset Gourmet Burger and had fab ice cream at Rossis) All in all a very pleasant stay

Hotel is in a good location with a 10 min walk to the beach. Its clean and covid safe. Room is basic, doesn't have a safe or fridge, but we were only there for 2 nights so this didn't matter. Overall we were happy with everything.

The location of the property is good, walking distance from sea front and city centre. The staff is polite and professional. I didn't like a few things: how basic our room was, the plastic curtain in the shower (I hadn't see one of them in ages!), the double tap and that the toilet didn't have a toilet brush (which was very weird). We paid extra money (£25 for the 2 of us) for breakfast which was buffet but also that was of low standards. Given that we paid £350 for 2 nights, I would have expected more. Really disappointed.

Whilst located a bit further away from the main restaurants, shops and amusements than others, the positives of this hotel outweigh this. Free parking, lovely swimming pool, onsite bar and restaurant, clean, spacious rooms, friendly staff, excellent breakfast. I would definitely stay here if I returned to Weymouth.

Lovely hotel in a great location close to the seafront. Very clean and spacious room. All staff were very friendly and polite. Breakfast was very good. Would definately consider booking there again. Very good parking as well.

Nice hotel, very clean. Felt safe in these current covid times. Hotel itself is tidy and clean. May need a refurb as some areas looking slightly tired but everything did the job. Nice comfy bed. Clean room. Nice breakfast. Parking. Reasonable distance to everything. Helpful front of house staff. Swimming pool - cold and changing rooms especially baby changing could of done with being cleaner. Would definitely stay again.

Needed to stay for business. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Although amenities and facilities were unavailable due to covid, the stay was very pleasant. Location is very good and in easy walking distance to most central areas of Weymouth

Spent a night here and had a nice room at the rear of the hotel. Covid system was good except that we were surprised had to serve our-self for several items along with other guests, breakfast was good though.

Clean spacious room with a good sleep quality bed. Despite possible problems created by COVID 19, this was one of the best breakfasts we have had in the UK. Staff very welcoming and all very COVID 19 aware.

Very nice, clean and decently located hotel. The swimming pool obviously being the bonus when you have kids. It was a really nice warm temperature which is rare these days in swimming pools. The steam was amazing as well and lovely temp. The sauna was out of action but in these difficult times it was no problem, apparently waiting for some parts to be imported. Changing rooms clean, swimming pool very clean and staff work hard to maintain the cleanliness and hygiene. Ate one night in the restaurant, really impressed with food, great quality and although the kids menu is very basic they were happy and great prices. Rooms were nice clean and spacious, kettle biscuits tea coffee etc provided. No fridge or fresh water but no big deal. Just one thing the WiFI very poor in the room and kids moaned about that. Special shout out to Gemma at reception that was super friendly and smiley and generally very helpful. The other ladies, stern faced and looked like they didn't want to be there! Would highly recommend and we'd love to stay again.

The hotel is being run very efficiently and feels very clean and covid safe. Our room was clean and the bed good, we slept well. Staff are very helpful and enthusiastic about looking after guests. The food is good and quality ingredients are used. Lots of choice for breakfast and very tasty evening meals. Evening meals are in the £13+ range. We did not use the pool but it looked good. You book in to the pool using set time slots. The location is about 10 minute walk to the sea front and about 20 minutes to the town. It is on a busy road and there is traffic noise if you have a front facing room, as we did. Parking was not a problem. We were on the 3 nights for 2 offer.

Two nights in Bournemouth. Hotel is 15 minute walk from beach, 20 minutes to restaurants/high street. Clean, well spaced out public areas. Staff very helpful. This is an older hotel so lots of creaks and old furniture. Room was plain and boring. Room overlooked roof with an old bottle of milk obviously been there for a long time. Did not use restaurant. The pool is small but very clean. Have to book to limit numbers for swimming but even with eight people impossible to stay far away from other guests but it was a nice feature. Price slightly high. Bonus parking for free.

Great hotel, could not fault the cleanliness of the room and the hotel, particularly during the current climate. Was a bit disappointed by the breakfast on the first morning as quite expensive and not the best so ate out elsewhere. The pool was great although I was expecting residents use only and there were a few children in and some lack of social distancing. Cannot comment on the food at the hotel as ate out but very comfortable stay.

I stayed in an exec room, spacious clean, couldn't moan at all for the price. Covid practice in the hotel was good. Would suggest some wipes next to taxi phones. The food was really nice . I was served by a young lady called Borgata. She was very friendly and pleasant and gave very attentive service and she didn't stop working hard all evening - I've never seen an F&B staffmember put quite so much physical effort into cleaning - proper hard-working attitude that is rare to see. I'm and ex f&b manager and I would hire her without hesitation! I would recommend the wild mushroom, spinach and goats cheese lasagne (and I'm not vegetarian). Delicious!

I booked a standard double room, the room was spacious, clean and reasonably well equipped, but the floorboards did creak from time to time. A kettle was provided, although the only water available in the room was from the bathroom. The wifi provided was fast enough for what I used it for, but, I had to log into the wifi multiple times per day in order to use it. The food in the onsite restaurant was superb. I did have to book a table in advance due to Covid (same with the pool & gym), but that wasn't too much of a hassle. There's no laundrette at the hotel, but there's one a short walk away (bring 50ps to get detergent). The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from the station, and 20 from town centre. There's also nearby bus stops to get to town, or to Dorchester. The staff were very helpful, and willing to go the extra mile. For instance, during my holiday, I had a fall during a hike and sprained my ankle, after getting back to the hotel, I asked reception if they had an ice pack to help ease the swelling. While they didn't have an ice pack ready, they did give me a bag of ice with cloths as a substitute. The hotel seemed to be taking the social distancing measures seriously throughout my stay. With hand sanitiser available at the entrance, requiring guest wear masks in common areas, staff wearing masks at all times, which was nice to see.

Stayed here because we couldn't get closer to the town, it's 15 minutes walk from the centre really. Staff very good, but the rooms are dated. Can't fault the cleanliness though. Evening menu was slim on choice but the steak was lovely.

The hotel is in a good location within easy walking distance of the front. On arrival we were dealt with efficiently and in a friendly manner by the reception staff. Throughout our stay we were impressed by the staff and that is clearly a plus point for the hotel. We had a comfortable room on the third floor at the rear of the hotel. It was a quiet location. The room was perfectly adequate if slightly dated. But it was of sufficient standard to say that we would be happy to stay in that room again. We opted for the hotel breakfast on our first morning and despite the difficulties caused by a COVID it was well organised. At £14 it was not cheap but there was plenty of food available. We were impressed by the effort the hotel was making to ensure the safety of the guests nearly all being like us pensioners. Car parking - a problem in Weymouth - was not an issue. There is sufficient. As to the overall rating we almost rated it very good and would have rated it good if that was a category. We would definitely stay again.

Its been a few years since we stayed here, it is still excellent value for money. The hotel is immaculate. Staff clean down chairs and tables as soon as someone gets up to leave, before the next people sit down. There is a well stocked bar, excellent food choices in the bar and restauant. Breakfast used to be buffet style, due to COVID, they have continued with the buffet but you ask for what you want and can have as much or little that you want. The pool is open but you need to book a slot. Staff are friendly and helpful as ever. Im so glad the hotel has managed to work through the pandemic, keep up the excellent work

Not sure if we were given the worst rooms as we had a 3 nights for the price of 2 offer. Rooms were colourless, smelt of dog and the walls paper thin. You could hear the person next door coughing and flushing the toilet. Overpriced even with 3 for 2 offer and felt let down from pictures on website. Could not fault any staff though.

Stayed for a week as a family of three in two rooms. The hotel was very clean, our room particularly so and there were Covid measures in place. The staff were very nice and helpful and breakfast was very good. Our room was on the second floor and not accessible via a lift so if you have mobility issues best to check. The room was large, with a comfortable bed and all the facilities you would need. The bathroom was a bit small but adequate though there were issues at time with the water pressure occasionally shower would just go off for a few minutes. The pull cord for the light was behind the shower curtain next to the shower which I am sure must be safe but was a bit unnerving. The bar was fine, but what I would say was that both the bar and restaurant were lacking in atmosphere. It might have been the Covid measures but they were very bright and the restaurant in particular felt more like a cafe - we didn't eat there at night for that reason. It is nothing that darker walls and better lighting would not fix. There is a pool but we did not use it mainly because od the Covid restrictions in place. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the beach and some nice gardens. The main town and harbour is about a mile away but it is flat so no problem. All in all we enjoyed our week and would recommend for a comfortable stay in Weymouth.

This hotel was spotlessly clean and we felt very Covid safe. Our room was smaller than other Best Western hotels which we have visited. It is an easy walk to the beach. Breakfast was fine, although we missed the fruit salad/grapefruit segments that we would usually choose, but a bowl of bananas, apples and satsumas was on the counter. The staff were superb.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Room ok but not great. Bathroom door filthy. Blood on door and runs that looked like they'd been there for ages. No sanitizing there. Surely, if no one is entering the room they can provide a decent couple of mugs and glasses which can be changed after each stay instead of paper cups and no glasses at all. Twin room but no easy chairs, only one sit up and beg chair between two people!! Had to keep asking at reception for tea etc and shower gel. Bar prices ridiculously expensive. No need for such a mark up. Over £10 for 2 drinks without a mixer! No last orders called. Barman just locked up and left at 11 with glasses on all empty tables. Thought the bar stayed open in hotels whilst the guests wanted a drink. Covid no excuse. It's being used far too often as an excuse for poor service at the moment. We were on bed and breakfast. Breakfast very good and a good selection of hot and cold food. Didn't use the pool but looked good. Bus stop just outside the hotel. Expensive for what we got. Rooms need a refurb. Probably wouldn't stay here again.

My room had not been hoovered or dusted when I arrived, in fact in was filthy. I booked this hotel for the pool and safety but there was children jumping in right next to us and not keeping distance. In all my years of travelling I have never had such a dirty room and it was more expensive than I would normally pay. Manager said it was because of covid and short staffed. So he should have shut the rooms up not rent them when they havnt been cleaned from the last guests. They should be sterilised between guests at mo but this wasn't even clean let alone sterilised !!!!!

Walking distance of weymouth town centre approx 1 mile. Swimming pool clean, staff nice, helpful they changed our room as we were unhappy with first one offered due to a extractor fan being right outside the window. Breakfast was good even vegetarian sausages. Room clean, but needs updating

Short visit to Weymouth & Portland, which are both interesting and lively, lots to see around either harbour areas. Hotel is clean and functional. Dining area has very little natural light, all overhead strip lights making it somewhat like a works canteen. Staff at hotel pleasant and helpful. Loads of free parking. Close to bus stops serving Weymouth & Dorchester centre.

We have just gone back to stay for 1 night at the Hotel Rembrandt a hotel we have been going back to for many years on our own and with our grandchildren. It's the first time we have been away since since the start of the pandemic. We had a evening meal and breakfast the following morning and the way the staff went about there business was very reassuring dealing very efficiently with all aspects of the current situation. Plan to return again soon.

We booked this hotel and due to certain issues, were not able to attend. We were past the deadline for being able to cancel, and were expecting to have to pay the full amount. However, the Hotel Management were very understanding and refunded us in full! We shall be fulfilling our desire to stay at this hotel in the next couple of months instead. Thank you again!

We have lost count of the number of Best Western hotels that we have visited. Best Western is a franchise with each hotel being a separate entity in its own right. Each with its own owner. However, the one thing they have in common is the quality of their staff. In this respect, the Rembrandt is no different. Since our last visit to a Best Western hotel (last June) an update had been added by the government. The wearing of masks in ALL public areas except bar and restaurant. This meant that masks were now obligatory in the reception area. A point that quite a few people seemed to have missed! And yes, I know that some have a medical reason not to wear them… but not in the numbers and frequency that we saw during our visit! This was our fourth or fifth visit to the Rembrandt. As said… we have lost count! On our arrival the lovely receptionist gave us a key that had been sterilised and told to keep it with us and NOT hand it in when we left the hotel. She asked us to book a time we preferred for breakfast and we chose 08:00. We also booked a table for dinner at 19:00, for the first night as we intended to eat out on the other three nights. Our room was adequate in size with a comparatively large bathroom. The bath was large and the shower powerful enough and nice and hot. The beds, as in all BW hotels we have visited, have been comfortable, although often a little too soft for my taste. The rooms were spotlessly clean… according to my wife who is very particular. Dinner was nice and was on the ½ price “Eat Out” scheme. Breakfast for the Tuesday and Wednesday were also on the scheme and, as we had pre-booked breakfasts at the original price the difference was refunded to us on our final bill. Breakfast was more or less the same system as it had been before with a cereal table and a large array of hot food. The main differences were that the milk for cereals was added for you by the staff. Also coffee was made for you to order as was the toast. Although the basic buffet had not changed the food was plated up for one by a chef. The three things I did miss though was that thee was no fried bread, kippers and porridge. This was, I am sure, only due to the shortage of staff. The food available was hot, well cooked and well presented. The staff were excellent and were led by Michael who we had met before on a couple of occasions. Although the rooms were not serviced during our visit, any items required such as toilet rolls, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and bin bags were readily available through reception. Our thanks go to the staff of the Rembrandt for a lovely, safe and happy stay. Peter & Jean. :o)

We've been staying in Weymouth for around 15 years, but this was our first time here. We ate in the restaurant both evenings, food was good. I would like to say a special mention to Emma who works in the bar, one of the evenings we left it too late to book in the restaurant and almost missed out which wasn't ideal with 2 young children but she managed to squeeze us in. Cracking selection for breakfast. Good measures put in place in relation to Covid. Check in is from 3pm, but we were able to arrive early and leave our vehicle there (free parking) to make the best of the stay. Great swimming pool which the kids enjoyed. It's a 5 minute walk to the promenade so ideally located. Our room was large, clean and had a bath. We'd be happy to stay again.

We only wanted a bed for the night while visiting family. We were a little nervous to stay in a hotel due to COVID, but the room was spotless and even provided an antiseptic wipe. There was tea and coffee in the room and some toiletries in the bathroom. We didn't have breakfast so I can't report on that, but we'd definitely recommend the hotel for an overnight stay.

A long standing booking which we were unsure we could fulfil but the hotel re-opened on time. We did not know what to expect and I suspect the hotel was in the same position making the best of an unprecedented situation. Having stayed before there was little difference from previous visits, just a need to take care and respect others space. The staff were great and made a big effort to make our stay enjoyable. We had a large family room at the back with our grandkids with plenty of room and an ample en-suite bathroom. The room was serviced if you required it, if not you just requested towels etc as and when. The room was clean and comfortable with a good nights sleep. There were noisy seagulls but this is the seaside. The pool was open, you just book a slot and it was not as crowded as usual. At breakfast you selected your items from counter and they were plated up for as you waited. Plenty of room in the dining room, with attentive, cheerful and helpful waiting staff, particularly 'Georgina.' Ate in most nights with a limited but varied good quality menu at a reasonable price. Plenty of free parking which is a bonus in Weymouth. WiFi was adequate, cutting out a few times, bringing groans from the boys. A memorable week away.

Stayed with family who had booked for 5 nights. we booked for 2 nights and added another night a few days later. We were asked to leave our original room at 11am and was told our new room (the extra day) wouldnt be ready till 3pm. Would it really have been so difficult to have the room ready???? Someone ordered dinner in their room and the plates were left in the hallway the whole time we were there. I appreciate times are diffucult but Best Western really should make more effort.

Great location, only 10 minutes walk to the beach. Plenty of parking front and back of hotel. Breakfast acceptable considering the Covid there is a smaller selection. Restaurant staff very helpful. Bedrooms very poor and not up to Best Western standard. Very disappointed. Not able to bring it to the attention of reception staff because hotel full, therefore we could not move room! It would have been pointless.

We booked this hotel mainly for the pool. The hotel is very dated, no air con (not great in the heatwave) and quite noisey at night as the room doors are fire doors I assume and everyone just let them slam shut. That aside, it was fine for our 2 night stay. Free parking, 10min walk from the beach if that, good selection for breakfast and the pool was open to book for a 45 min slot. The staff were also very friendly and very helpful. The room was basic but had everything we needed for a short stay. I would stay again.

Could not check in until 4pm, due to house keeping issues. Was extremely hot on our visit so no air con effected sleep. Room was very clean and tidy. (209) staff were friendly and were following guidelines for COVID. Would stay at hotel again.

Stayed here at the end of a trip this way. It was ok, I thought it was very tired - both the corridors and the room. Room could have been cleaner- hair on the side - especially in the current Covid times. Also, crisps on the floor when we moved the bed (kids!) basic rooms and facilities. Very noisy seagulls worth noting as no air con and the window needed to be open. Felt sad to wonder what a noise was and see a seagull playing with a cigarette packet someone had left out!! So many fag butts on the floor (roof) we were in a 200 room. Breakfast was well organised and average for this type of hotel Staff friendly and swimming pool open and enjoyable

Just returned home after a fabulous 3 day mini break staying at the Rembrandt. The hotel is exactly what we expected and more as it has everything we wanted. The pool was brilliant for the kids who swam every day, the breakfast was amazing, the room was perfect for our needs, car parking was free (big bonus as not a lot of hotels in Weymouth have parking) and all the staff were fantastic and so helpful. Two members of staff to particularly give a shout out to were the swimming pool man who made us feel very welcome and booked our sessions and the night manager who rectified a problem we had with noisy neighbours keeping us awake. We normally go abroad but obviously this year haven't and actually came away from Weymouth having enjoyed our UK break more than if had gone abroad. Well done Rembrandt and as for all those on here moaning about the cost of the rooms you should book direct with the hotel as there are some great deals to be had. Having said that we were so impressed with the place we tried to book an additional night at full rate but unfortunately there were no rooms available. We will be back.

We booked this hotel to visit family in Portland. It was our first trip away from home since lock-down to visit family members who had been shielding for three months. We decided to pay over-the-odds for a hotel with a good reputation, due to the promise of enhanced COVID-19 cleaning measures. We didn't want to take any risks for ourselves or the family we were visiting. As these additional measures were taking place we were told check-in would take place later than usual at 4pm. We arrived at 4pm and checked in. The friendly lady in reception explained the additional measures in place to keep everyone safe, including strict bookings for meals etc and said our room was ready. On entering our room, all looked good... the bed was made and the bath seemed clean. But then I noticed the toilet was soiled. There was excrement down the back of the pan and a pubic hair on the seat! On closer inspection I could see that the room had not been vacuumed... there were biscuit crumbs all over the floor of the seating area and other bits of rubbish n the floor near the bed. There was a hand-mark and long, greasy smudge all down the mirror in the lounge area. I called down to reception and the manager arrived. He offered to get the room cleaned properly, but I had lost total confidence in the hygiene standards and asked fir a refund, which was given. When the cleaner did arrive, as we were gathering out things, she had no PPE, no mask, apron, or even plastic gloves... nothing. I'm glad we didn't stay there... everywhere was fully booked but we managed to find a much cleaner hotel with really friendly staff on Portland, at a fraction of the cost.

A great stay. staff could not have been better, so helpful couldn't do enough for you.. Only issue was the Bar could of been open earlier during the day opened at 5 pm which was to late for us and we did not know until we got there. (But it was due to (Covid 19) so it would not stop us staying again just check before you go.

Stayed here for the weekend. We had an issue with the room and the staff dealt with it really quickly. They moved our room (which I wasn't asking for) and we were given the bridal suite. This room is lovely. For any special occasion or wedding this room is definitely worth booking. Hotel really clean. Great system in place with dealing with covid. Staff amazing and friendly. Walking distance to town. If you get a taxi it's a out £6. Would definitely book here again.

Booked it last minute because it was the only hotel available in Weymouth. Very small room and bathroom, very basic furniture, no Aircon, window overlooks a ventilation unit that is making humming noise, electric outlet is far away from the bed. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is good WiFi. For £100 I paid for a single room you can find a nice Bed & Breakfast if you book little in advance.

£180 at rack rate for a room without aircon, fridge or extra pillows? Had to ask for a towel for the 3rd person and had to ask twice for toilet paper as there was none. Public areas looked nice, but we didn't use them.

We stayed the weekend of Mother's Day. The hotel had to close the bar & restaurant due to government instructions for COVID-19 but the staff were tremendous!! At very short notice they had to come up with a solution for breakfast and instigated pre-order room service for this. The food arrived and was warm and as good as it is in the restaurant. It was actually very nice, ample portions and We didn't have to worry about our hair or changing out of our PJ's!! The carvery Mother's Day lunch went ahead as a takeaway and again we had this in our room the duty manager was brilliant and insisted on helping us up to our room with our food & drinks ( I use a cane so only had 1 free hand). The triple rooms are comfortable but do need more sockets closer to the beds. We would like to thank all the staff for their excellent service during a very unprecedented time, I was disappointed that guests complained that their breakfast didn't arrive on time!! They needed to get a grip and should appreciate that a hot breakfast was served, and the hotel was open - they could have closed and sent us all on our way!! All the staff were fantastic in what must have been scary, uncertain and definitely unprecedented times. Special thanks to Fin on reception for managing to keep his sense of humour and the the duty Manager who was a real star at helping us. We are looking forward to our stay with you again in September.

Great to find a hotel that will accommodate a family of 5 in one room. Children loved the pool, and they provide swimming towels. Room was clean and had everything we expected. Only negative was the shortage of parking - we had to find a space on the road.

A hotel without parking in Weymouth is a pain. This hotel not only has parking but also a good-sized swimming pool so meets our prime criteria. It's right on the bus route, too, which suits us as we do not walk far. We always prefer to have half board which was on offer with our deal.

Good location, friendly welcome, nice upgrade, good cuisine, great breakfast, comfortable room with an appreciated upgrade.clean and tidy hotel. Good reactions to a fire alarm very professional and safe.All in all a pleasant and comfortable stay and as elite we get a free newspaper.

Another enjoyable stay. We have stayed at The Rembrant several times before. Lovely staff, superb food quality and value. I have no problem in recommending this particular hotel to anyone; confident you would not be disappointed

Another lovely weekend at the Rembrandt in Weymouth, this time to celebrate a 60th & 80th birthday & a diamond wedding anniversary. Four generations enjoying the facilities, especially the pool. Rooms spotlessly clean as was public areas in the hotel. Breakfast was scrumptious as was dinner. All the staff were extremely friendly & nothing was too much trouble. Stayed at this hotel many times & look forward to our next visit. Thank you Rembrandt for looking after us so well.

Popped in here with the family for Sunday Carvery. Good choice of excellent meats, and very acceptable selection of vegetables. Not the cheapest, but well worth the bit extra. Very good service, and not crammed in like some pubs. We will return.

Stayed here with my parents. Room was nice, although not enough sockets where you need them. Staff are lovely at this hotel. Disappointed that the tea bags in the room wasn't Dorset tea, especially as this is in Dorset. Sunday Carvery is fantastic - 2 types of Beef joints, lamb, Turkey, gammon - the works, the take away boxes looked massive! Great value gin of the week offer. Massive selection of gins but a gin menu would be really useful. Already booked and can't wait for our next stay. Special mention to Gemma on reception- brilliant, friendly, helpful and very patient!

Not been much of a hotel goer but arrived with two seasoned colleagues and was immediately impressed with a warm, friendly welcome with lots of useful information. Rooms a bit plain, by spotless and comfortable. Spa facilities looked great too. We had our evening meal in the onsite restaurant - great deal - three course for £25.50 for hotel guests. The Restaurant Manager was charming, and nothing was too much trouble. And then there was the food! We were fed like kings with deliciously fresh tasty meals! We left the restaurant (which was lacklustre) with a very satisfied, pleasing feeling, albeit we needed to undo our trouser buttons! Comfortable and good night's sleep for us all, followed by a great breakfast, again with real attention to detail and friendly, professional manner. The only sad bit was we could only stay 1 night! Thank you all for making our stay such a pleasure!

I had a neck, back and shoulder massage at the Spa Neo at this hotel. The massage by Ivone was so relaxing and is the best massage I have ever had (and I have had a lot over the years) She created such a relaxing atmosphere and was very friendly and asked about pressure and needs prior to starting. The massage was amazing. I was in a state of bliss. After the massage she got me to turn over and put a heated lavender eye mask and left me to relax before bringing in an iced water. All the towels and bed were heated so it was so cozy, I did not want it to finish. I will be back next month for another!

Visited today with my partner for the carvery. Good selection of different meats and veg. Brocoli and cauliflower cheese is amazing and definitely a favourite of mine. Option to takeaway as well which I have done in the past.

everything you need for a overnight stay or a Christmas experience, I have done both, the staff are wonderful and helpful, the rooms are clean, the food good and the gym spa etc are a bonus, I travel alone and always felt safe and welcomed

I arrived early but check-in wasn't a problem. This attitude continued and all the staff I encountered during my two-night stay were friendly, helpful and concerned for my comfort. Each was keen to help in any way that they could and made me feel that I was their only guest. My only regret was in booking so far ahead. We had wanted to secure accommodation for the dates needed and although this was easily done the booking site continued to send details of 'New Prices'...each of them lower than the last one. This was irksome but there was nothing I could do. The room was warm and cosy with a lovely, bright and very well illuminated bathroom. The bedroom had plenty of wall lights but the central light was too dim to be of any use, however, the soft and comfortable bed more than made up for this when I fell into it in the early hours of New Year's Day and slept soundly until eleven.

Great Hotel with very pleasant and helpful staff. We stayed in the executive rooms. Very clean, tidy and lovely rooms. Large Super King Beds and spacious rooms with nice bathrooms. Large shower in the one room and a bath with shower in the second.

We are regular visitors to the hotel and have been for many years. Lovely place to stay, very comfortable. Always clean, rooms are very good. Staff are excellent and accommodating. The leisure and pool facilities are also very good. We had a nice relaxing break. Hotel is located close to the town so easy walking distance. Our only negative comment is that the Carvery is now only available on a Sunday and Wednesday Lunchtime. Disappointing as the 12 years we have been visiting 2 or 3 times a year, the carvery was one thing we looked forward too. The a la carte menu is quite limited, most things are with chips or salad (we can have that at home!) Still look forward to our next visit though.

Stayed here for a few nights over 2020 New Years... lovely hotel with very comfy beds! The pool and spa therapies were also top quality! My friend had a stress buster massage! The breakfast was very nice and was clearly labelled to which food was vegan, veggie, gluten free etc. In terms of disabled access (I am a wheelchair user), there is disabled parking at the rear of the hotel with direct entry through the back. The road to get to the rear of the hotel could be better lit! There are a number of slopes in the hotel but overall accessible throughout. The room had a wet room with a stall - I would suggest this being changed to a shower chair as I found the stall to high and therefore couldn't use! Good hotel. 7/10.

This was a last minute booking for New Year's Eve for two of us in an Executive Room. Reception honoured the best deal that we could find so we booked direct, which was cheaper than on the Best Western website. The customer service was excellent from booking, reception on arrival and when using the restaurant for breakfast and the spa on New Year's Day. The room was clean and spacious with a comfortable bed and nice toiletries provided. Our view wasn't the best and the decor could do with some updating but the cleanliness was the most important aspect. The buffet breakfast was plentiful with a good choice and items replenished as soon as they ran out. The mushrooms were a little rubbery, otherwise the quality was good. The spa facilities were good, with a large pool. The Jacuzzi bath and the sauna are quite small but we did manage to use them after a short wait. The staff were very friendly.

Excellent in every way. The staff are the best I've ever met in a hotel. I can't wait to stay again. I am disabled but they put me in a room 30 seconds away from the lift and let me keep the mobility scooter in the lobby couldn't ask for more.

Swimming pool nice and clean, bar food good, breakfast good. Friendly staff. Room was a bit old fashioned and musty but everything worked fine. Good stop off on our way from Cornwall to Brighton with 2 young children.

We meet up with my partner's brother and wife at least 3 times a year (we live in Kent they live in Cornwall). This clean and friendly hotel is walking distance from the seafront. Weve been before and it's great. Not the most beautiful looking hotel but wonderful staff, comfortable beds what else do you need for a weekend away. Friendly staff great bar although no bitter in the bar for my partner and brother. But good bar food. Oh and there's a swimming pool. YAY. We will be back.

I as the previous review had a takeaway carvery today and it outshone my Christmas dinners. I can't praise the choices and taste enough, my only complaint is how do I live up to that on Christmas Day?!!!! ... ps make sure you don't miss the dauphinoise potatoes!! They are the best! Thanks chefs!.

We are regular customers and usually enjoy our stay here but on this occasion we chose (as usual) a king sized room (no 264) spending extra but the smell from the bathroom of stale drains was really quite overpowering. We left the taps running but that didn't do much so we opened the window and kept the bathroom door shut. I will say that in many years of staying here this is the first cleanliness/odour issue we have experienced but it's not something I expect for a more expensive room option. I did advise management on departure.

Myself and my wife. Woke up sunday morning wondering which edible delights we were going to have for our sunday dinner . would we opt for the tesco lunch for 3 quid.its filling you get some fruit and a smoothie of your choice. We pondered amongst the idea. Then we thought its sunday why not do wot other people do and cook a insane carvery we could get turkey beef gammon roadts veg and some gravy after we added it all up the cost was 35 pound for a vast amount of food plus some bubble and squeek in the evening. No she said in a stern voice why dont we go over to the rembrandt they do a take away carvery for 9.95 . we dont have to wash up go to shops or clean the roasting trays . hurrah i shouted at the top of my voice i put on my walking boots and my storm proof coat and i ventured out into the wilderness in the shadows i saw a glass front building saying rembrandt to my plight i rushed in smelling the glorious food and was welcomed by two gentleman called russel and mike . i gratefully paid for my food and was given a huge takeaway tray and a take away thermal gravy cup i screamed with delight . i was carved some succulent meats by carvery chef ben and tom the vegetable selection was outstanding . i even managed to chat to the head chef james who was very informative on the allergens and other intolerances . i left the building skipping with delight not only was the food tasty and boiling hot i didnt have to wash up 5 stars from me guys well done

An excellent hotel in an ideal location. 5 to 10 minute walk from seafront. Plenty of parking, from and rear. Staff were very helpful and friendly, reception was very clean and tidy. Check in and out was a breeze. Room was spotless and welcoming. I'd definitely recommend it to others and will seriously consider staying here again if I'm in Weymouth.

Heard a lot of good things about this place, but me personally I idon't rate it just like I don't rate Bentekke one of the worst I've seen! Carpets and walls are stained bath is dirty possibly the age of it but it's no excuse for the skid marks in the toilet I mean...... referee......come on Revamp time! Floor boards creek I could hear Coughing man all night coughing his way through my walls!!! Corridors stink of like someone's got A bad stomach No breakfast included in the price is horrendous banter by best western! Gym is small and weak Pool is cold and water is yellow (make your own assumptions on that one) So me I won't be back here until the paint brush has been used and carpet right man has paid a visit on a plus side though..........it's home time

Other hotels are cheaper, but the heated indoor pool at the Best Western Rembrandt made the extra cost SO worthwhile - especially in these wintery months. Friendly yet efficient staff, sensible menu choices, very little to fault here. If you book on a room only basis, then breakfast is expensive - so choose the B&B rate.

Had high hopes and wasn't disappointed. The rooms were a little dated, if I'm Honest. But comfy and spacious. The staff are what made this break. All of Them were amazing!!! Full of Smiles, happy in their jobs and really welcoming. Bessie and Aaron especially, Absolutely lovely people who went over an beyond. Couldn't do enough for us. An absolute asset to the hotel. Food was amazing. Facilities amazing. Would highly recommend!

Very nice hotel. Myself, grandma and 2 kids. Requested another bed so as to all be in one room. We travelled from suffolk and arrived around 12.30pm and they let us check in early at no extra cost, and no quables. Pool, sauna, steam room, and spa bath. Loved it. Will recommend strongly. Bathroom floor kept getting wet after showers as its fairly small, but workable Price was fair. My kids thought the houses next door were haunted. 'Who knows hey'. Friendly staff. Thank you.

Stayed for 2 nights On access large reception which is manned 24/7 This is a big hotel and a bit of a maze depending what room number you are Room was large and clean with lots of tea and coffee facilities Only minus was there wasn't a blind /curtain in the bathroom..Frosted glass yes ,but when you are sat on the toilet with the lights on!!!! Breakfast is fantastic with lots of variety So with that in mind..I'd stay again

My mums surprise 60th weekend away with 11 adults 3 teenagers 4 children and a baby, the hotel is lovely the facilities were clean and comfortable, rooms are massive, clean, comfortable have everything you could need, and the staff..... WOW they were fantastic, made us feel very welcome and nothing was to much for them, Aaron was amazing on the bar and would have a joke with us which was lovely of him, Micheal was very attentive and accommodating to our need 18 people Can be difficult but he was very helpful, we had breakfast two morning and it was delicious, all you can eat, with so much variety with gluten-free and veggie options, and carvery Saturday night which was beautiful, and had a lot of choice, the chef carving was great with the kids and even better with the adults we can all get a bit lively when in big groups, all the staff were fantastic and would definitely recommend and return.

We had a fantastic day for our wedding here. From the initial booking to the final day nothing was too much trouble for them. Wonderful venue with lovely garden outside for photos. Food was amazing even dealing with the special dietary requirements of some of the guests with no worries and our suite for the overnight stay was incredible. I stayed here overnight with my children the night before the wedding aswell and again the room was fantastic and everyone was very helpful with all that was going on for us. I would recommend this hotel to everyone without any hesitation.

We stayed at the Weymouth Hotel Rembrandt for my husband's birthday last July for 6 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. The restaurant staff went the extra mile and decorated our table without us knowing they would do that when we ate there to celebrate my husband's birthday. Very well located so nowhere in Weymouth was too far away. We didn't use the swimming pool which looked very nice, but we did use SPA NEO - twice! The treatments were fabulous. It is run by two ladies who were both absolutely brilliant. We have both had many Spa treatments and these two are up there at the top of our list of best massages and treatments we have ever experienced. We will definitely use Hotel Rembrandt again next time we plan to visit Weymouth.

I have to report that The Rembrandt ticked ALL the boxes. Excellently situated for Weymouth sea front and the surrounding areas. Superbly run, full of well trained, friendly, efficient staff. If you do not fancy venturing out in the evening, the quality of restaurant is really good with a nice enough menu selection. Our rooms were incredibly clean and well appointed, including some adorable white fluffy towels. Breakfast is more or less as good as you will find anywhere. Fabulous quality produce, exellently cooked and presented. A great stay

Yet another super stay ,warm welcome at reception,Christina .Gary and all the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome as soon as you step into hotel, The restaurant is very good good choice at breakfast we did not use restaurant on a evening but ate in the bar again smashing menu plenty of choice and again great service from staff , the guys in the bar always manage to have chat with you The swimming pool and facilities are very good do get busy at certain times but never stopped us using it. Bedroom good plenty of space for the four of us ,bathroom spotless .Bus stop just outside and only about 10 min walk to sea front We will defo be coming back soon.

We stayed at the best west hotel rembrandt at the start off the school holidays we had really good service espeically form the the recetption team from the moment we arrived to the time we left.Food for breakfast was really tasty and for a family off 4 that has different tastes especially my youngest daughter we all found something to keep us full.my wife and children used the pool everyday and it wasn't too busy either which was good.

On arrival, there didn't seem to be much Accessible parking; both spaces at the front were taken, but this wasn't a problem, as the car park is fairly small, so all spaces are quite close, although we did find out as we were leaving that there was also Accessible parking at the rear. It would have been helpful had the sign pointing to the car park stated this or even had the Receptionist advised us of this. I had a walking stick, so it was obvious that I perhaps needed to be able to park close to the hotel, especially with the lift to the upper rooms being at the rear, close to the rear car park. The hotel is equipped with leisure facilities and swimming pool, neither of which we used, but the pool seemed more suited to children and I understand was open to the public, so was pretty busy on the Sunday. We enjoyed breakfast each morning, which was provided on a self-serve basis, but the chef did keep the trays filled and fresh. The only slight issue we had was that the bacon, although tasty, was a little dry. We also ate in the hotel restaurant on our second night and found the food and service excellent. I'm sorry if this sounds a bit like a negative review; it isn't. This is a very nice, extremely clean hotel, with pleasant, helpful staff and I would recommend staying there. The issues I have mentioned are fairly minor, but perhaps would just have made our stay just a little bit more comfortable.

Just had 3 nights here. The hotel was very clean and tidy with a lovely reception area. Room was clean and tidy we stayed out the back where it was quiet. The hotel is only about 15 to 20 minute walk to the town and mostly a flat walk. There is a great swimming pool area. Bus stops just outside the hotel to go to Dorchester. Staff were pleasant and very helpful. Not been to Weymouth before but will comeback and stay here again.

We have just spent a weekend here and found it most pleasant. The rooms are clean and functional, the staff welcoming and friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent, fantastic choice to breakfast. Pool was a bit busy at times but if you picked your time it was ok. Thank you

First weekend away for a long time in a hotel, so paid £££. Walked into reception, very nice marble floor and area. Staff lovely and welcoming. Got our room key and what we found was a shock! Room so small, had to shuffle around eachother! Oh well, we thought, no problem. Breakfast was good, lots of choice, a bit atmosphereless in the breakfast room, but we had full bellies. Went to the "spa" it was a small pool, not very deep, with a jacuzzi. My hubby went to the steam room, which he said was good. Did not try gym, did not see it. The staff here are lovely, the but would I return? Probably would not for the price. The whole hotel needs a "cuddle" it's decor is quite old, clean and tidy, but not modern, if that's what you want.

Stayed here for a week's break. The pool and spa were lovely, with the non-residents that use it being chatty regulars. The restaurant provides good quality, fairly priced food - especially the carvery on Sundays. There is also good food available in the bar.

Idea hotel in Weymouth, great location only 10 min walk to the sea front. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming, we had breakfast on both days which was great free child's breakfast with every adult the cooked breakfast was very good lots of selection. Great little swimming pool my children loved. The rooms were a little dated but were clean and had everything you need. Does get really hot durning the night. Would definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend.

Stayed here for a long weekend (Friday-Sunday) for a family reunion. Breakfast is almost perfect but I'm not used to the local sausage. If it's not square it's not tasty... Leisure facilities are as promised. A bit annoyed with the bar closing at 23:00 every night so the poor night porter is taken away from their duties to serve us. Ultimately, the staff (especially in reception) are so nice and helpful.

Great location easy walk to town and beach. Staff friendly. However the rooms are very basic. Breakfast ran low as we went down towards the end and no effort to replenish it so it was all a bit messy. Stayed here 3 nights on our trip. We stayed at better places

Easy access to all attractions and close to supermarket .. staff at the hotel are very professional and caring. Good indoor leisure facility.. breakfast is basic but this is what you get.. thanks Emma, Fernando and Finn at the reception for looking after us.

I use this place often for sauna and food as it is very good. Not been for breakfast for a while. I was gob smacked that they put it up from £10 to £12.50. That is one hell of a increase. I will only be going for this once a year on my birthday for a treat lol

I and my daughter had a lovely weekend here, polite helpful staff ,nice clean basic room. Breakfast a bit steep at £12 no less for children, we went in half hour before restaurant closing not much food left and no effort to replenish although did find my daughter a croissant reluctantly ,most fresh food gone . Swimming pool lovely also jacuzzi lovely temp small steam room and sauna ,very clean ,nice clean towels loaned all in all lovely weekend

We all had a great stay here. Was back down in Weymouth for my stag do and we had a lovely time. The room was great and just what we needed, clean and everything worked well. The leisure facilities were a great addition to the stay too. I must also say a big thanks to Fin on reception, a really helpful chap and we all really appreciated that. Overall a great stay :-)

It's was ok but a bit expensive as per overall standard food was good need a bigger sauna room as it was always crowded room need to be bit more clean as they were smelling of dumbness . The price was to high for three stars hotel

Nice friendly atmosphere, comfortable room, good food. Close to sea front and shops and restaurants. Ideal for couples, families and parties. Parking excellent. The swimming pool looked very good although we didn't use it. Will definitely visit again.

Good location, with easy access to Weymouth beach and town centre. Friendly staff and comfortable bed. However, a disappointing lack of basic hot running water in the hotel room. Lukewarm at best. Also a mediocre breakfast, with not enough hot food either ready or available.

Great location, close to Weymouth town centre, plenty of shops and close to beach which is very wide. Lots of tea and ice cream shops and of course, fish and chips. The hotel provides parking front and rear, lots of spaces as the hotel is large. Our room needed some updating, the carpet could do with a clean along with updating the tiny bathroom, no bath just shower cubicle which was fine for us, however not much space. Toiletries provided. Food was excellent and plenty of it reasonably priced - carvery looked good too. Breakfast was excellent too, buffet with lots to choose from, full English, fresh fruit, cereals, selection of bread and juices. Staff are very helpful, pleasant they couldn't do enough for us. Pool and gym onsite, family friendly hotel. Our room was the only let down, due to carpet and tiny bathroom, would recommend, it's centrally located with friendly staff and food faultless.

This was our second visit to the Rembrandt Hotel, this time with our grandson who is 7. The family room we stayed in was very spacious and he loved the pool. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was lovely, very good location, 5 mins walk to beach and sealife centre and if u buy your tickets to sealife in the hotel they are half the price, very good deal

Staff were very friendly and keen to help where possible. Hotel was very clean and the bed was relatively comfy. It is a standard best western hotel that caters towards the older clientele. Hotel within walking distance of a range of restaurants.

We loved this hotel. It is in the perfect location, around a 5 minute walk down to the seafront, but the price doesn't break the bank! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Air con in the room would have been good, but we were provided with a fan that was left running all day. The pool and leisure facilities were good, and the hotel has a nice, family friendly feel. We'd definitely return.

Arrived yesterday evening having only booked on Thursday evening but with a booking issue. I attempted to make a booking through Best Western site but was unable to get the advertised rooms with free breakfast. I then went onto several other websites, Expedia, trivago and then booking .com and the availability appeared to be getting lower I could not get the free breakfast deal on any other website and had to plum for the booking.com booking. By this time the only available room was a family room with a double and single bed. This was not really what we wanted but didn't appear to have any choice. The booking process was the same on all sites and you had to add the breakfast to the booking so each one was an extra £50 for two people for two nights. On arrival at the hotel we spoke to the very friendly receptionist who booked us in and I pointed out my dilemma. She was unsure as to why it had happened and asked another member of staff, apparently the reason was we had booked through booking.com and not directly. She also stated that there was availability for other rooms (unlike the websites had stated ) and then changed us from the two bedded family room to an executive room but charged us an extra £20. I know this is only a small point but it is very irritating. So all the other sites gave false information re availability as it appears none of them link with each other and we paid extra for it. All in all the hotel itself is very good and in a good location but if you're going to book I would check directly with the hotel first

We stayed here for a week the hotel is ideally situated for the town and beach. If you don't want to drive it only takes ten minutes to walk to the town centre or you can catch a bus outside the hotel. We had a family room which was the perfect size for us as my teenage son had his own part of the room which was semi private. The room was reasonably clean although we did find some small toys on the floor by the beds which had been left by a previous guest and a word of warning the hot water is very hot. Also expect a rude awakening if you are in the back of the hotel as the laundry trollies come rattling and rolling early in the morning right outside the window. The reception staff are friendly and helpful and the staff in the restaurant are excellent especially Michael who goes out of his way to ensure that guests are happy. The food in the restaurant is very good and the breakfast buffet is kept constantly replenished and has a good choice.The lounge is a nice place to sit , relax and have a drink or a bar meal. I would say the biggest disappointment is the pool it is ideal for families with small children but it is not very big, its shallow and was very crowded every day.

Had a lovely few days here. clean comfortable standard double room. Lovely breakfast, lots of freshly cooked choice. Didn't have dinner there so can't comment on that. All staff friendly and helpful. 5-10 min walk to sea front. Would recommend to anyone visiting Weymouth.

Our holiday at the Rembrandt Hotel Weymouth was perfect ......I thoroughly recommend this hotel, it offers the highest standard of rooms, food, leisure facilities and an exceptionally high level of customer service. It is an absolute pleasure to stay there, could not fault a single thing.

Short easy walk from seafront with plenty of parking, we stayed 3 nights in comfortable, clean & warm room. Reception staff were very friendly & very happy to assist. Spa/pool was a superb & unexpected bonus. Great food & friendly atmosphere in restaurant & again staff couldn't do enough for you. Large function on the Saturday night but it didn't impact on us & no noise permeated through to the bedrooms. I am a very happy customer who has found my new favourite Weymouth hotel

Good food, good wine, good staff and good surroundings. The staff are very attentive. There is a good variety on the menu. The wine list although basic is reasonably priced. Steaks cooked to perfection even a request blue came perfectly grilled.

We spent a week here in July. The facilities were excellent and the room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Breakfast was delicious and the staff were more than happy to alter the menu a little to account for dietary requirements. The location was good, although it was on a busy road we didn't hear the traffic and enjoyed the fact that it was within walking distance of Weymouth town and the beach. Above all the reception staff were extremely helpful and friendly at all times.

We stayed 4 nights in a good size double room which was comfortable and very quiet. I used the gym and pool each morning, joining a group of very friendly older local women who go each day. There are a couple of things that could be improved: we were only able to have one key to the room despite asking for a second which meant we had to remember to leave the key at reception or go looking for the other person in the pool/gym/lounge. It's very unusual these days not to be able to have a second key.

I stayed at the end of July with my two grandsons (8 & 9) and chose this hotel as it's only 100 yards from the beach and had a swimming pool. I was really pleased with this hotel, the room was spacious and clean, plus had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. When we went out each day the room was a complete mess but was spotless in our return. The inclusive breakfast was really good, with a wide choice of food to choose from. The staff were all friendly and helpful, quickly getting to recognise us after we arrived.

Lovely hotel clean and tidy. Rooms well laid out. We had a wet room and the whole floor did become a bit slippery. Instead of having coffee making facilities in each bedroom they have a lounge room with a tea/coffee machine and a fridge with bottled water in, the lounge is a great way to meet guests. Breakfast room was clean tidy with breakfasts cooked to order. Staff are friendly and helpful.

My other half booked this for a long weekend. Family wedding, first time in Weymouth much nicer on the whole than I imagined. Got away the last day to have some amazing fish and , always better by the sea. Would think of coming here for longer. Good value hotel, friendly staff, would recommend.

Great facilities, great location, great service & a great breakfast. Only tip take the body wash & shampoo to the pool as none provided in the leisure changing facilities. Otherwise a brilliant stay at a faultless hotel.

Generally a very clean, well maintained hotel. Room was far too warm, even with window open and fan running. Made for an uncomfortable stay when in our hotel room. Had to keep taking cold showers to cool down. Not sure why it was so hot, as outside temp was only 22- 24 degrees. Other than that, everything was very satisfactory, especially location as only a short walk to seafront.

Great place for relaxing massage. Friendly and large number of treatment choices. Always very relaxing and highly recommended Wish I lived closer for more regular visits. Try to book something for every trip to Weymouth

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times before. Good location, easy parking, friendly staff, excellent restaurant, nice pool ( but poor changing rooms / shower area. Beds are comfortable and most rooms are adequately decorated. However, if booking, some rooms face the Dorchester Road which is VERY noisy and some parts of the hotel have no lift access to the 2nd floor - a climb of 35 steps !!!. Good points of this hotel far outweigh the mentioned downsides.

Just stayed 2 nights at the hotel whilst visiting Weymouth to attend my brother's funeral. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. I only had the breakfast twice. The choice was good and I enjoyed haddock on the first morning and kippers on the second. I did not use their facilities i.e. swimming pool etc.a

Room was extremely comfortable and spotless clean. The hotel is just a short walk from the seafront. Staff were very friendly. Excellent buffet breakfast. I visit the area regularly on business and wIll definitely stay again.

We stayed at this hotel as a base for our Tankfest trip.The hotel is clean and tidy.The only down side is the bed was a little hard,but that's more down to what kind of bed that you're used to!We used room service on the second night of our stay and couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the food.We would stay here again.

Stayed here last year and enjoyed it so much we decided to come back this year. The room was much better than last year although rather hot and could benefit from a fan or better still air conditioning. Food was generally good, especially the fish, although service on the four nights we stayed was variable. This might be because they do not seem to know how many diners they have. We booked a table for dinner every night when we checked in but only the first night was booked. Each subsequent night we booked for dinner the next night but never was it in their diary on the day. Very frustrating. The last night was particularly bad when service in restaurant and bar both suffered.

This is our 4th or 5th annual stay at this hotel. Staff are always very helpful and rooms are spotless and comfortable. Breakfast is always cooked freshly and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Looking for to our next stay next June !!

Today My family visited the restaurant to this hotel for its well known Sunday carvery. I pre booked a table by telephone with a gentleman called Mike who was lovely and listened to my mother's requests due to her anxiety. When we arrived the restaurant and sitting area was well layed out and the meal and service we couldn't fault in anyway. We shall definitely return. The atmosphere is comfortable with a variety of seating areas. The dress code is casual smart and the waiters are attentive and friendly. Mike was very accommodating to seating options for my mother and he went out of his way to make sure the table was in an area that my mum was comfortable with. Thank you this made all the difference to us. We would certainly recommend this hotel restaurant for its service and meal choice.

We've used Hotel Rembrandt previously and decided to visit again for a short stay. The hotel and rooms are clean and well presented and they are currently carrying out some minor refurbishment. Good selection of items on the breakfast buffet including fried bread - not always found in today's health conscious society. All of the staff we dealt with were polite and courteous. Would use again if we are in the area.

This hotel was just what we wanted - a good position with parking and leisure facilities. The staff were all very friendly and the breakfast was very good. My only criticism would be that although the room was fine, it really did need a deep clean - things like coffee splashes on the walls, dirty skirting boards and a dust "halo" around the room and in the corridor where the hoover had not been up to the edges in a very long time are not what you want to see when you have paid £110 per night. Also the wooden furniture was very old and scratched - in fact I bought a chest of drawers for £35 in a charity shop last week that was in better condition. Having said all of that I still think it is a much better option than the sea front hotels where parking can be a real problem and they seem to be full of coach parties with all the smokers standing out the front. We enjoyed using the leisure club facilities but would point out for information that the hot tub is only a domestic size one which can't comfortably take more that two people. The sauna was also quite small but the steam room was very hot and very large and the pool itself was really nice. Also the showers (at least in the ladies changing rooms) are open - no cubicles and no curtains - and there is no shower gel dispenser or swimming costume dryer that you might expect in other similar places. But still the best option of its sort in Weymouth, which is in easy reach of lots of great walks and places to visit, many of which can be reached using the bus services.

Lovely hotel with good facilities. Restaurant is quite pricey considering there are lots of options outside the hotel. Good breakfast and all staff were very friendly. Specials in the restaurant should be advertised as on the Tuesday evening it looked like there was a carvery but this wasn't advertised anywhere.

I stayed at the hotel on two occasions recently on business. Hotel is clean and tidy with excellent staff who are extremely helpful. Food in General and breakfast are superb in quality but a tad expensive. I stayed in 2 different rooms one of them 292 was as good as you could get quiet and large, the second 218 had the constant hum and noise from the pipework outside the window. That I feel is the only downside of the hotel you don't know what room you are going to get, some are good and some less good.

Good room, spotlessly clean, Comfy bed to two very fussy people. Staff efficient and friendly, breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. We stayed in King room on top of the hotel. Only problem we had was lift was broke....

Good value for money hotel. Spotlessly clean and well maintained. The furniture in the rooms is a little dated but perfectly serviceable and adequate. The pool is great with jacuzzi, steam room and sauna and free for guests. The breakfast is excellent and the staff have been very helpful and welcoming. The hotel is a 10-15 minutes walk from town centre and quay but taxis are readily available if needed.

We stayed for 2 nights and the room was comfortable and roomy. The food was great, we ate there both nights as well as breakfast. The cavery was excellent and we also ordered from the menu and could not fault the meals. Easy parking, a laundromat a handy 2 mins walk with a Tesco Express next door. You could easily leave the car in the car park if you wanted and walk to beach. The staff were very friendly and willing to help in anyway. We had a ground floor room so can't say if there was a lift to the first floor. A bit of a rabbit warren though when your room is at the back, had to go through several fire doors and a few turns to find the room. Our only 2 criticisms would be. 1. The shower steams up the bathroom, obviously the extraction fan isn't strong enough as the room steams up and everything is wet afterwards. We even opened the window which didn't help. There is a sign saying to leave the bathroom door shut as the steam from the bathroom sets of the smoke alarm. If that's the case then put in a stronger fan. 2. Whoever was in the room directly above us must have been playing football. It was very loud when they were walking around, opening or closing doors etc. 2am in the morning it woke me up as they were walking around.

Four stars given as the exterior is some what underwhelming. However, I couldn't fault our family room, service, food or facilities. The family room offers a double and 2 proper single beds, one of which is in its own alcove so ideal for the slightly old child. The rooms are clean, of a good size and have all the facilities you could need. Added bonus for the price of this room was the pool and leisure facilities. The breakfast was hearty. Would have been good to have seen some local produce on offer that the South West is so renowned for. Good local, adequate parking albeit a little messing in the car park. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

An enjoyable stay in a comfortable room, pleasant & helpful staff and a good breakfast. Bar meals in the main good (1 poorly cooked on 1 occasion). Good facilities including pleasant pool . Will certainly visit again when in the Weymouth area.

This is quite a large hotel with an impressive entrance area. It's not a chain I tend to like but this one is very good. Rooms were clean and a fair size, swimming pool, gym and bar area were all nice. Luckily there is additional parking at the back which is not immediately obvious. Will return.

We stayed here for a weekend break in Weymouth and were very satisfied with our experience. The staff is very friendly and attentive, quick to meet any request, iron, extra towels, etc would be brought to the room in a couple of minutes. From the reception, to the bar, restaurant and the swimming pool everybody was lovely. The swimming pool's temperature was excellent and we had such a seamless experience altogether that it couldn't have gone any better. After reading previous reviews we asked for a room facing the car park instead of the roof and that was no problem at all. If you want a comfy, easy experience in Weymouth then Hotel Rembrandt is for you!

We stayed at the Best Western Hotel in Weymouth. We had a great time in Weymouth overall as it was fairly near the beach and centre. The one thing to fault with this hotel was the fact that they were redecorating and some of the walls did not look good. The rooms were spacious, the beds comfortable and had all the amenities needed in the rooms. The one thing to fault would be that the bathroom floors got very slippery and there were no bath mats inside the shower/bath tub so potentially dangerous. The food: Breakfast was good - buffet style, Sunday lunch was nice, and the dinners at the bar were good too but a little pricy if you wanted something that was not a sandwich. There was also a leisure facility which included a swimming pool and gym. Overall a good hotel.

On arrival I was impressed. The male receptionist was friendly and welcoming and professional. I had booked one room for 3 nights and a 2nd room for 2 nights for a family weekend. The first room was nice and appeared clean and and the beds were comfortable, lovely fluffy towels and nice shower. However once the lights were on by the single bed we could see established cobwebs and on looking further, these were on the curtains/pelmets too. This was cleaned properly once it had been reported to reception but for the price I was paying at this hotel I would not expect poor housekeeping like that. In addition, I left one hand towel in the bath for replacement as the sign said to do (hung all the others up for re use). When I returned to my room, the towel I had left in the bath which was now very wet, had been folded up for re use. Fortunately we had another hand towel we could use. The 2nd room was also very nice, and apart from the issues above, we were very happy with both the rooms - they were both good sized family rooms with a roomy bathroom and tea/coffee/ biscuits and toiletries replenished daily. The general cleaning - like the bathrooms and vacuuming was very good. We ate in the hotel the first night. This was fine. There were choices for vegetarians, and gluten free choices or adaptable dishes were available. However, the breakfasts for vegetarians were poor and we felt the quality of the food available was poor. The coeliac member of our party did not attempt breakfasts, although gluten free cornflakes were available. Unfortunately the steam room was not working during 2 out of 3 days of our stay but the pool, sauna and jacuzzi were as good as you would expect from a Best Western or spa hotel. On our last day - this is where it leaves a bad taste. We were a bit after 11am checking out, as 3 of the party had used the pool etc that morning and were a bit delayed being ready for 11am. While we realise the hotel is quite within it's rights to chivvy us along to be out, it is the first time I have ever had reception call me to give me a 'courtesy call' to vacate our room. We were barely after 10 minutes late at that point. However, we could have lived with that, as we accept the ts and cs are to vacate at 11am. But when we did check out, the receptionist Tori did not even bother to ask how our stay had been. I was going to raise the issues mentioned regarding the wet towels and cobwebs, and to pass on my thanks for the speedy clean of the cobwebs once they had been made aware, but she clearly was not interested at all as to whether we had had a good or bad stay. In fact Tori did not really appear interested in us as people at all. She appeared professional but aloof. There was no friendly chat or impression that we were valued as customers from this young lady. It was basically 'here is your final bill to pay - please check amount and put your pin in'. Once again, very poor for a Best Western. If we had felt valued at this point and been able to discuss our previous concerns with someone approachable and friendly we would have come away feeling better about things. Maybe if we had 'obeyed' the rules and left by 11am, Tori may have been more friendly towards us? Fortunately another receptionist - Christine - who was professional and very friendly as she assisted with our luggage storage, and later collection, saved the day, as she was natural and friendly - more receptionists like Christine please BW. I have stayed at several Best Westerns of late, as when I find a chain I like, they become my first choice, but I am not sure I will be paying those prices for that type of service in future. I will be interested to see if Best Western respond to any of my concerns from the survey form they have sent me.

Room was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was excellent. We were made to feel very welcome. Excellent value for money. Short walk to the esplanade. Bus stop outside the hotel. Bar staff very efficient. Would stay here again.

We had a lovely weekend in Weymouth. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They let us have an early check in, which was good. The room was clean and tidy and the bathroom was huge. The only thing we wasn't happy about was the fact we couldn't really have the windows open as the industrial fans were noisy so we relied on the fans to keep us cool. It would have been nice to have a view out the window rather than the roof. We were in room 211. The leisure facilities were basic but fine. The food was nice, we had breakfast which is buffet style. I would stay here again but perhaps ask for a room with a view next time.

Stayed here for 2 nights with hubby. Lovely clean room with plenty of space. Really helpful staff especially Gary on reception. Made use of the indoor pool and gym which were included in the room rate. Plenty of choice for breakfast and it was lovely. Hotel is on the main road in and about a 5 min walk to the sea front. It's about another 10 min walk along the front to the town. But well situated as on a bus route if walking isn't an option. A taxi back from the harbour cost us £6. Would definitely use again.

Accommodation was sufficient for the price we paid. Room was small and dated furniture. Parking was off street and free. Location was excellent. Front desk staff was brilliant. Pool area great,but not kid friendly and neither was the staff in charge there.

My wife and I stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were extremely helpful & friendly. The hotel is very clean and tidy. The health was spacious, clean and enjoyable. But most of all it was very relaxing.

Very nice hotel, good place to stay convenient to the centre. Rooms good, nice size fairly light and airy. Buffet meal, very disappointing, meat fatty and stringy. Veg too soft and some too hard. Breakfast was better. Meal we had for dinner night was very good. Staff helpful, friendly and efficient

Really recommend this hotel both in its placement, amenities and excellent staff. For us it was the perfect location, near to our family. The hotel had an excellent swimming pool for our nephews and a first-rate restaurant where we met relations for our evening meals, and a quiet lounge area where we could go for a drink and a chat. Our room was spacious, clean and well serviced. We will be using this hotel again.

Lions Clubs International District 105D Convention. 22nd to 24th March 2019. From the minute we checked in on the 21st, the experience was brilliant. The Staff were attentive, polite and professional. The room was very clean and well appointed. The food throughout our stay and during the event was top notch, tasty, well presented and enjoyable. This hotel did Weymouth proud and I would have NO hesitation in recommending this hotel for a similar event, a business event or a few days break. Exceptional in every way. My only gripe (which is echoed by many) is the bar prices. I think that £5 a pint is excessive even given the aforementioned praise. (I visited a hotel yesterday where the standard of food and service was equal and the bar managed a pint for £3.90............and probably sold more. Long term volume is better than short term profit methinks)

Large room with comfortable bed. All very clean with plenty of tea / coffee etc. Dinner was a Carvery. Well cooked but not exceptional. Good breakfast. Pleasant helpful staff. Free use of the pool which was great. Would stay again.

The Rembrandt Hotel is a Very Good Hotel with extremely Helpful Staff & excellent Food. Breakfast Buffet was always Hot & Carvery Night was superb. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay using the on site Pool / Spa facilities each day with easy Walking Access to the town & sea front.

Arrived for one night while on business in the area. Room looked a little basic and dated but was clean and well maintained. The bed was super comfortable which after a long week was great. I ate in the bar that evening and food was typical bar food.

Here we are again , comfy bed , clean well equipped bathroom , restaurant OMG , wife had beef carvery which she loved , I had roasted aubergine , chick pea and spinach curry with rice , garlic naan and onion bhaji as it sounded good on the menu and didn't disappoint , this restaurant ought to have its own listing especially for evening dinner , the breakfast isn't shabby either , all in all it adds up to a great base for a weekend away

This was our first visit to this hotel and from start to finish the staff were so accommodating and friendly. The hotel is situated in a fantastic position - a short walk from both the town and the sea front. Our only experience at the restaurant was at breakfast where the buffet was fantastic with an excellent selection to set you up for the day. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to return. Thank you Best Western for making our trip to Weymouth so enjoyable.

A good value for money break albeit with an upgrade on the deal initially on offer but at £125 a night incluidng main course evening meal and breakfast we really couldn't complain . Room was large and bright with comfortable king size bed an nice bathroom. Only adverse comment that there was no lift access to our room so would not be suitable for those less mobile - worth checking when booking taht you have one of the rooms with lift access as most do.

We stayed at the Best Western Rembrandt in Weymouth for 2 nights at the end of March 2019. The hotel was easy to locate with ample parking on site. On arrival we were greeted by young gentleman named ‘Gary', who was exceptionally welcoming, friendly and helpful. He checked us in efficiently and covering all the essentials. Unfortunately there were no lifts within the hotel, not a problem for us , but worth noting for some. We were in room 212, executive room, which had a large king bed , two armchairs, large tv with free view, Bluetooth speaker, large bathroom with bath and combination shower, plenty of bathroom amenities, ironing board and iron, tea and coffee facilities & hairdryer. Only issue with the room was that we could not turn the shower on , on the first night, a quick call to reception and within 2 minutes the maintenance man came up and fixed it. Breakfast was included in our room rate, with plenty of choice. Hot full English Buffet with fresh fruit, pastry's, cereal , yogurts, a large selection of fresh juices, toast, tea and coffee , and an selection of jams, butters and spreads. Again the only issue with the breakfast was we noticed all the yogurts where a week out of date... a quick word with the duty manager in the breakfast room and this quickly resolved. Although we never took advantage of the swimming pool facilities , it looked well maintained. Although the bar didn't look very appealing and welcoming as it could have done. The hotel still uses traditional room keys which we found a little old school, but they do let you drop them off at the reception desk , so you avoid losing them. Location wise: the hotel is very close to the sea front and harbour, with a selection of pubs and restaurants a short walk or drive away. Overall we had a nice stay and would return again. This hotel has restored our faith in the best western brand after a previous bad experience elsewhere.

We enjoy the Weymouth area and The Rembrandt is our base of choice. Conveniently located, comfortable, good value, ample car park (most of the time) and rooms are always clean if basic. The breakfasts are excellent and the carvery meals are worth a try.

Had a great weekend away with my wife. Booking on-line very smooth. The room was fine but due to location next to stairs a difficult to get in. Bathroom very good. The pool was good although on the Saturday evening was full of children playing around without supervision who were not staying at the hotel. The restaurant and food was very good especially breakfast.

I recently stayed at this hotel while on a business trip. I arrived early but the room was not ready, this was fine as I sat in the bar area. Good choice of drinks, reasonably priced. Staff were friendly and accommodating. The bedroom was nice and quiet at the back of the hotel and was spacious and clean. I used the leisure facilities which included an indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, steam room and sauna. Again, staff were friendly and explained where things were etc. I ate dinner in the restaurant which had a good choice of meals. The food was great and good size portions. Breakfast - this was buffet style, good quality and lots to choose from. Overall a good experience at this friendly hotel.

Stayed here for the second time for two nights in February. Room was small but well appointed, very clean, decent size bathroom. The Carvery meal was outstanding. Bar area very comfortable with part of it having a view over the pool. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The pool was lovely. Very warm and a very good size. Will definitely stay at this hotel again.

A pleasant stay for one night. Tired in places but staff friendly enough. The burger in the bar was actually very good. Location is a healthy walk to the town centre but not far to the beach. Kids enjoyed the pool.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel over last weekend (17th Feb x 3 nights). We have had a most enjoyable stay here. Our room was very clean, spacious and had plenty of storage comfortable bed. The restaurant was very good and good value for money. The Spa was very clean and enjoyable. All in all having stayed in quite a few Best Western hotels and quite a few others beside, we thought this hotel was the best hotel we had stayed in.

Great family room with tea coffee and snacks. Comfy beds. good pool for kids to have fun. Food average. Service very good . We would come back again .good location. The price was excellent and check in first rate

Visited for a couple of night and it was pleasant, the rooms are clean and comfortable, carol on check in was friendly and Aaron in the bar was fabulous, the breakfast was very good and lots of choice and very tasty, tge evening meal i had wasnt so good even though it looked great there was a bone in my chicken pie which then put me off eating it, however i was refunded the amount of the dish without hesitation and fuss, if ever down that way again i would definatly stay again

We had three days here , the hotel is excellent value, it was spotless everywhere, facilities were marvelous, the staff were so friendly and the food really was excellent value , overall fantastic stay

I have stayed at the Rembrandt a couple of times for a night or two to meet with friends. It's in a great location with lovely staff, clean comfortable rooms, a great pool and plentiful, well presented food. What's not to like!!

We visited for hubbys birthday so decided to treat ourselves to an executive room. The room was large but a bit dated. Some of the facilities in the room seemed a bit cheap, plastic bath and very thin toilet paper which we didn't expect in an executive room. The bar and restaurant was ok but everything in the hotel seems very bland with no atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and the breakfast is good, plenty of choice. The rooms could do with upgrading and some colour in the public areas would help, plus a few more comfortable seats in the bar. We would stay there again but wouldn't pay the extra as not worth it.

Spend a month (4 weeks) here for work, day sleeping - got to know everyone really well. Maintenance, reception, cleaners all amazing people. Our company didn't book a breakfast, but it is available for £10 per head (not room). Getting £10 worth of food can be a challenge, but its cooked fresh every morning and the chefs keep it topped up. The hotel also has a swimming pool and sauna which is also open to non-residents. If you can't afford the breakfast there is a Cake / Sandwich shop just up the road by Tesco Express or Weymouth town centre is a 5 minute drive / 10-15 min walk away.

This is a little gem of a hotel in Weymouth, it is spacious, clean, bright and well maintained. Access to the leisure facilities, including a decent sized swimming pool is included. As is the parking which is on-site. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of my room, lovely fresh cotton bedding, towels and the complimentary toiletries were great. Softer pillows would be the only thing that I would change in the rooms!

We had a two night break away in Weymouth and our stay in the Rembrandt proved to be an excellent choice. From start to finish we were very impressed with the Hotel facilities and Staff. The accommodation was very good and suited our needs very well. Breakfasts were excellent - with a great choice of freshly cooked food, served hot. We had a Carvery Lunch on arrival and it was superb. The staff throughout the Hotel were very good and performed their duties in a very courteous and professional manner. We would not hesitate to recommend this Hotel to any of our friends. Top Marks indeed for a splendid hotel experience.

Cracking value food was great and the breakfast the best I've ever had in a hotel. Rooms spacious we had a king clean tidy and the staff very helpful and polite definitely stay again. 10 min walk to the centre of Weymouth didn't use the spa in this occasion but it is clean and tidy

When you are planning a hotel weekend break what you don't want is uncertainty of hotel quality. Rest assured this hotel won't let you down...yes some aspects a little dated but all is well maintained...my only gripe is the bar&restaurant area lacked the welcome feel just a bit utilitarian ....food was excellent

This was our 5th stay at the Rembrandt for the New Years Gala Dinner and dance. As with all previous years, it didn't disappoint. From the initial booking until the time we left, we were very well looked after. We did however have an issue with noise from outside the room we were in this year, (hence only 4 stars) but it was dealt with promptly and professionally. We were more than satisfied. The staff are friendly, welcoming and polite. Again the food served at the Gala Dinner, in fact throughout the hotel was simply delicious! On behalf of my husband and myself, I'd like to thank ALL the staff, you work so hard in making us feel we matter. Needless to say we'll be seeing you all again next New Year! K&L Jones

Arrived on boxing day 2018 for three nights, got key for 208 a single room on the first floor the room itself was fine but the noise just outside on the kitchen roof was unbearable, i went to reception and was told it goes off at 9pm, had a bath went to bed at 10pm the white noise from the kitchen plant area outside the window is still raving, went back down and demanded another room, was given a choice of two both over looking the same area, settled for 242 it was ok for two nights with me wearing foam earplugs, i could cope, the third night friday the plant noise really kicked in, must been demand being friday night, anyway ended sleeping on the floor by the room door away from the outside wall, had a real bad night, about 4 hours sleep that's before a 160 mile drive home, spoke to the receptionist about it she seemed surprised how patronising i thought, wont be going back. should be reported to the HSE or department of enviroment

Flashback to the 80's. This place was not good the staff barely smiled and made you feel welcome. If you were staying with your 80 year old Grandma then this is the place for you. I have one positive thing to say is that the Roast cavery was nice.

Just had our Christmas works do at the Rembrandt and I highly recommend it. The food was delicious and hot and we were served quickly and efficiently by Kate,Lindsay and the team. There was 25 of us in our party, and at least 150 people in the room and everyone was saying how amazing the food and service was. Definitely going to book again.

This hotel is set along the river, it was very good, although if you're arriving on a Wednesday, you won't find any parking because they serve Lunch to the local community. It was very difficult to park, the room was smelly, even after we told the reception who apparently sprayed something air freshener in there. Nevertheless, if I am going to Durdle Door I will stay here, as you have Morrison's, Sainsbury's and Lidl next you. The bed was so comfortable. The heaters kept the room warm, the gym was ok, slightly outdated equipment but done the job. The Hotel is a leisure center as well for the local community as it has a swimming pool, sauna, and gym. It offers a good deal for Leisure access as well as lunch as a package.

When we arrived the room smelt horrible, strong musty smell, very small room with small bed. Water pressure poor and WiFi poor. Toilet paper wafer thin and no toilet brush, and this room cost £124 per night. We were told that hotel was full and no other room to move to! It was the last night of our trip around the West Country and this was by far the worst room of the 7 hotels we stayed in and nearly all were much cheaper as well.

I recently accompanied my wife on her firms (Howdens) Christmas function. Dinner, dance and casino night. The staff were friendly, helpful and very attentive on arrival. The food was absolutely awesome. I had salmon starter and cod for main which was superb. The roast potatoes were crispy and hot, just like you'd have at home. The best roasties I have every had in any restaurant in Weymouth. You should be proud as it was 5 Star service and a fabulous evening.

Everyone at this hotel is friendly and helpful. The room was clean and cosy. Food excellent served in a light restaurant. Swimming pool and steam room were brilliant. We have visited about 9 times and will be back again. Good parking.

Great over night stay at this hotel. The hotel is dated but never the less it's clean and tidy. Good facilities bar, restaurant and swimming pool ect last of which included in the price. Bed very comfortable. Not a great view of the fans coming from the kitchen which were also quite noisy but didn't really matter for the one night. Only one complaint which we did address to reception was on making a cup of tea in the morning went to fill the kettle and looked like someone has tried to boil a pot noodle in it.......grim....so the kettle hadn't been cleaned. Other than that cannot grumble as was a good over night stay.

Stayed for 2 nights to get some downtime. This hotel is so clean and tidy, staff are always cheerful, polite and friendly. Swimming pool and leisure facilities are a welcome bonus. The bar and restaurant are both very well run and the food is outstanding! Still full up from my carvery! This was my 4th stay and will be returning soon, weather permitting.

Hotel Rembrandt is one of the best hotels in Weymouth. They are adept at providing the perfect venue for your party needs and a fantastic standard of service. The rooms are well appointed clean and tidy at very reasonable rates. The bar prices are very reasonable and quite comparable with pub prices. The staff are fantastic and extremely helpful and make your stay a very pleasurable experience.

We have just spent two nights in this excellent hotel - bed and breakfast. We also chose to eat dinner there too as the menu is so varied and the food is very good. The service in the dining room (and bar) was very good and all the food that we ate there was to a very high standard and presented beautifully. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable and (almost too) warm. We had to open windows and turn off radiators. It was well maintained and the daily maid service was excellent. There was plentiful hot water and the shower worked well. The car park of the hotel is vast and we had no trouble in finding a space. The pool and spa area looks delightful. This is the second time that I have stayed in the hotel and I would have no hesitation in recommending it. It is conveniently placed and there is a nice walk onto the seafront and into town. The bus stops are just "down the road" and the No. 10 bus to Dorchester is a good service and runs every 15 minutes. Many thanks to everyone at the Rembrandt - we think your hotel is one of the best in which we have stayed.

My husband and had a weekend break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and also visit friends living in Weymouith. We will definitely return to this hotel in the future, as it was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and polite.

Living on the south coast, My wife and I often experience being treated as second class customers if we visit hotels local to us for a meal when we're not a guest. But I can Honestly say that this was an exception to that rule. 6 of us including my disabled sister-in-law visited Weymouth for the weekend. It was my sister-in-law's 40th birthday and we visited the Best Western Rembrandt for lunch on Saturday. The hotel was accessible and had a good amount of parking. We chose our meals from the bar menu the service and the food was fantastic! Some of the decor was a little tired but the food more than made up for that! We all enjoyed our meals thoroughly and staff were so friendly that we really felt welcome.

very clean and plesent hotel ,would certainly stay again ,the staff was very helpful ,though our room wasnt ready when we arrived ( just after 2.00pm )and had to wait 40 mins but went into the bar ,the romm was clean and tidy ,the swimming pool was an added bonus the kids and husband enjoyed it ,breakfast was very nice with a lot of variety

A 3 bedroom for 2 nights costs £245.00. Reception staff very friendly, room was very clean, good heating, beds comfortable with good bedding, nice towels, good free WiFi, swimming pool was great and location very good as only a short walk to the seafront. However, the place felt like an old people's home. Rooms have old fashioned keys (yes keys!!) no safe or air con but good tea/coffee tray with nice biscuits ~ except kettle didn't fit under the tap so had to fill kettle using a cup! We only had 2 cups for a 3 bedroom so had to go to reception and ask for a third cup. Hot water was never more than luke warm. Toilet paper was thin and cheap quality. Breakfast was very nice, but carvery on Sunday evening (6.30pm) was very disappointing ~ cold meat, hard roast potatoes, vegetables and Yorkshire puddings run out so had to wait for more to be cooked. Plenty of parking but small/short parking bays and very tight car park to manoeuvre in if you have a large vehicle. I could hear other guests using their toilet throughout the night! A corridor runs between the restaurant and kitchen, I found this very odd as every time we walked down the corridor staff were crossing it with trays of food. Hotel needs a complete makeover to bring it into the modern day era

We stayed 2 nights room only and paid £220. The location was good (10 min walk to the seafront). However, the hotel was nothing special. A bit clinical all painted white. The restaurant had no atmosphere. The food was ok, but the waiting staff not great (disorganised and disinterested). We did not pay the £10 extra for breakfast as cheaper places on seafront. The room was comfortable and everywhere was clean. It was ok but we have stayed in places that are better at half the price.

Another lovely weekend break in a hotel we have been going to several times a year for several years, it never fails to please us. Great location, lovely friendly staff, decent food and a full breakfast to set you up for the day. On booking this stay we were told the particular room we wanted was taken, however when we went to check in we were given the room we wanted-proof that the staff are prepared to go the extra mile to satisfy their customers-we were well impressed and grateful. We will soon be back.

Hotel and the Hotel staff are excellent. Rooms are large and very clean. Restaurant I would mark this as 3* Food was exceptional but let down by the waiting staff. We were in restaurant for 3 hours as each course was extremely slow. Slow to get rolls Ridiculously slow to get food Painfully slow to clean table I will add though that our waiter was helpful at times.

Stayed there during half term break for 3 nights. Good location where you might walk to Weymouth beach. Sufficient car park place (though expected you might have to squeeze into narrow or short lot). Hotel room was clean and good enough for a family break. The most impressive was the indoor swimming pool plus steam/sauna was the bonus. Breakfast, typical hotel one and not bad.

We stayed in the hotel for 5 days on a half board, group rate. The hotel was more than adequate but we were faced with the same carvery every night with only one other option, which was fish - even that was not always as advertised. We asked for more variety and were promised a change but it never happened. This really is unacceptable; they knew we were staying for the week but just didn't think. The carvery was actually very good but not 5 nights running.The puddings were also very predictable - pretty much the same offerings each night. Apart from that the hotel was fine - the rooms were OK although the pillows were very hard.Breakfast was very good and there is a pool if that's what you like.

Hotel was lovely and clean, food very nice, service fab. However, the beds and pillows need updating not very comfy at all! Which is an integral part of a holiday stay regardless of all the positives.

Stayed 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed. The family room was very comfortable and clean with modern furniture. The only fault we could find was the view from our bedroom window which overlooks roof top and flat rooffing but wasn't a problem for us.We went for half and the food was exceptional.,staff very friendly and nothing to much trouble. I'm going to mention a particular member of the staff in the restaurant who is called Jaz who is a credit to the hotel. Weve enjoyd every minute in this wonderful hotel.

If you want great food and breakfasts; plus a good gym, swim and sauna then Hotel Rembrandt is for you. I have never stayed in a hotel so immaculately clean. Yes the rooms are a little jaded but facilities are being upgraded, beds really comfy, water hot and very tidy. Lots of parking so no worries there. But most of all the staff...how the rooms were cleaned and restocked each day; how the food was cooked and the quality; plus the waiters, waitresses and bar staff who were all so smiley, polite and professional.

Nice hotel for a short break. The Carvery meal was first class, breakfast had a large selection very nice. Didn't need anything to eat until dinner time. Room was comfortable, nicely decorated, but had very old looking furniture. The staff were very helpful. We felt that the prices in the bar were a little OTT.

there isnt anything about not having a lift so when we checked in they put us on the top floor up loads of stairs, explained we couldnt go up all those stairs and although they were fully booked they got us a room on the 1st floor which was very good of them,pool lovely, friendly staff and lovely choice for breakfast, bar prices reasonable and a very nice hotel, cant wait to come again.

First time in this Hotel. Very modern hotel with pool and Spa facilities. Stayed for three nights. My room had a double and a single so was quite roomy. Very comfortable. Huge wall mounted TV for change so no trouble viewing. Has a lift to all floors and all floors are level. They do a very good carvery on Sundays and Wednesday lunchtime. Food was good as was the service. The restaurant did seem to have a canteen type feel to it to my mind. Usual hotel prices at the bar. They have a large car park which can be very full at times. Would stay here again
