« Great Hotel in West Kelowna »

Clean, large rooms. Breakfast has something for everyone. Gluten Free Options. breakfast staff will offer a friendly hello and serve you coffee to your table. Great location, good value for your money. Friendly Front Desk Staff. Don't listen to the bad reviews, seems they are all from youth teams, from children causing chaos in the hotel with very little respect for anyone let alone for the staff of the hotel trying to deal with them. Just plain and simple, Coaches and parents should take responsibility for their children. Kids these days aren't disciplined and just roam free leaving the general public to babysit them. Do call directly to the hotel for the best rate. They will match the online rate for you, plus if you need to cancel or making changes then you can do that unlike when you book 3rd party.

« They don't care about your stay »

So we were up In Kelowna for the weekend and we asked for a cot because we had a extra guy in our room and he was a little bit sick and we had 3 big games of volley ball. We asked the girl at the front desk and she didn't care at all. Which means that the people here don't care about your stay. Then later that night we asked again saying the same thing and once again she couldn't care less. So instead of coming up to our room and asking us to stop she had to call our coach 30 min after we asked which was around 10:45. These people are difficult to deal with I am very unhappy with my stay and I would strongly recommend that no family or any people stay at this horrible place they like to call a hotel.

    « OK »

I booked this hotel weeks in advance but was given a room for the handi capped. It would not be a big deal but I have 2 small children that I like to bathe and there was no bath! The room was also very small and crowded - no desk again a pain when I have children who like to color and have snacks in a civilized manner. The pool was cold as well - breakfast was great and the housekeeping was satisfactory. Thought we would give it a chance but we will most likely be returning to our usual holiday inn express down the street.

« Great hotel for visiting wineries »

We ended up staying here unexpectedly one night when we had car troubles on our way back to Vancouver after spending a few days across the lake in Kelowna. The hotel is quite nice. Spacious clean rooms with a modern feel. However the best part about the hotel is it's proximity to some very nice local wineries. We visited both the Mission Hill and Quail's Gate wineries near by and had a great time. The wineries we had visited on the other side of the lake were nothing special, but the 2 we visited while staying here were both very nice.

« Service plus fantastic facility »

I stayed here for 3 nights and found the room to be great, clean and well appointed, the staff to be friendly and helpful and the included breakfast to be more than expected. The pool was clean and fun. Parking was a breeze and there were restaurants and shopping very close.

« Everything was awesome about this place »

We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel. Clean bed linen and bathroom. The wifi was excellent. Breakfast was included. The hotel price was reasonable. The location of the hotel is really convenient for visiting Mission Hill and Quail's Gate Wineries. Furthermore, service was good. You may find their beds are a bit soft, but that was okay with us. If you try to locate the hotel by following the GPS, you may get to a middle of no where in the plaza. Just keep looking, and there is Tim Horton close to the hotel.

« Great place to stay and conveniently located »

We stayed here recently for the second time. The hotel is clean with friendly, helpful staff. It is located right off the highway and there are several restaurants and places to shop nearby. It is conveniently located for a quick drive into Kelowna, but in the quieter area on the western shore. The free breakfast has lots of choices, and they have free wifi and parking as well!

    « Clean and quiet »

A very nice hotel in a good location near the main north-south highway and close to a number of good restaurants. What impressed me most was the soundproofing resulting in restful, undisturbed sleep. The hotel was spotless. The shower had great pressure and there was a refrigerator and microwave in each room. The balcony was nice and we were able to enjoy the view of the lake and sitting in the sun in the morning. The complimentary breakfast had a variety of hot and cold items which rotated daily. I loved the croissants which were flaky and delicious. On our first morning Sydney took time out from her stocking and cleaning duties to give us helpful tips on what to see and provided us a very useful map of Kelowna.

« A great place to stay in the OK valley »

My husband and I stayed here for a surprise birthday weekend. It has a great location as it's close to travel to either Kelowna proper or Penticton. The room was very clean and udpated and the staff were terrific. The complimentary breakfast was very good - lots of hot fresh food and again, the staff were terrific!

« Good hotel and convenient location »

Stayed here for 2 nights while doing wine tours/tastings. Location is excellent as it is right on Hwy97 and access to either the north or south is easy. Rooms are spacious, beds are very comfortable, and we faced the golf course behind the hotel so had a nice view. There is even a small(very small) balcony so we were able to open the patio door, get fresh air, and sit outside with a glass of wine in the afternoon. My only complaint is that we left our room at 9 a.m. the second day and returned at 4 p.m. after a full day adventuring and looking for a nap and housekeeping had not cleaned our room! This drives me crazy! I understand that maybe they are trying to clean rooms for new bookings....but no cleaning until after 4??? I sincerely feel that they should place a higher priority on existing guest rooms. On a positive note, the breakfast (which is included) is very, very good. Everything from the usual toast and yogurt & cereal to waffles, pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. And coffee that actually tastes like coffee and is piping hot. Overall a very good stay....I would have rated higher if not for the housekeeping issue.

    « A visit to West Kelowna Sept 28pm,29,30,Oct 1am »

Room 328. Just over 600.00 cad including tax for a 3 day stay for one person, 1 king bed. Nicely finished room. Appears to be high quality finishing. I like the colors, materials etc. Nice pool and slide if you are travelling with children. Close to five eating choices that you can walk to in less than two minutes. A few points to mention; 1. This device shown in the PHOTO looks exactly like a motion detector for light control. You can also buy concealed cameras that look like this. It is directed at the bed. Since I had experience as a technician I am assuming it is for light control. It looks like an add on that was wired using the conduit for a fire device. What am I supposed to do, ask them? Why is it up to the customer? It should be labelled a light control to give me peace of mind. 2. The first night several tv channels are not functioning. An employee said they called Shaw for service for me. Nobody called earlier? Restored 9/30 at 0652hr. Thankyou to the employee at the desk for dealing with their supplier 3. The deadbolt in my room does not line up with the frame so you don't have a secure locking device. The upper latch to the frame is the only security. 4.. Leaking iron. Leaks at the base. Iron your pants then wait for them to dry. Once again maintenance staff, or are you depending on clients to inspect your equipment. 6. Very nice view of the golf course. Open the window coverings in the morning and enjoy the sunshine and a beautiful golf course. 7. The room has a good sized safe however because of no light in the closet and low wattage energy saving lights you cannot see the safe to operate the keypad without a flashlight. 8. Great tasting coffee in the room. 9. They have real hangers that can actually be removed and put back on without fighting with a bracket permanently attached to the rod. 10. I have a theory that since I don't see or hear the sound of vacuums that it's not being done. I hope I am wrong but the staff were busy and I didn't see or hear a vacuum while on site. I'm complaining why? A long tiring day? I like to think that when you are in that price range in a small town it should be perfect. I realize you pay 2 or 3 times that amount in New York. Would I ever return? Absolutely, I like the hotel. Maybe they don't have a budget in place for a maintenance person. Other than the items mentioned it's a great location close to wineries. I am spoiled after staying at the Hotel Arena in Amsterdam.

    « Overall great hotel »

Great property. Staff is super friendly and very good. Rooms are very clean. location is very good - right across and next to shopping. Parking is plentiful and right outside the front door. Will fore sure come again.

    « Great Hotel »

Staff were very helpful, the room was completely clean and everything was very good except the water was running in the toilet and it kept flushing every few minutes. We told the staff at the desk so they could have someone fix it while we went out for dinner, however they offered to move us to another room, and we accepted. The new room was very spacious and had everything we needed. The hot breakfast had everything we could want, one of the best we've seen. The dining room was clean and well managed.

    « Wine Country »

Good location to travel Okanagan hotel quiet and very comfortable. Good breakfast close to eating places.have stayed at this hotel when in the area and will continue to do so when visiting Kelowna rather than stay in the downtown area.

    « got ripped off »

Called ahead to advise of late check in. when we arrived we pulled the bed back from the wall and found fingernails and enough hair to make a moustache. we returned to the lobby to ask for another room. The girl said no cleaning staff was available and no other rooms available but she would try and clean for us. I asked her to check and advise if it was acceptable and she came back and clearly stated no it wasn't but we may be charged for the one night stay if we cancelled but to call in the morning to check with manager. we booked elsewhere and came back the next day to discuss if we were being charged for the one night room rate. they advised no we weren't and we thought okay all good. then when we got home we found the credit card charge and when we called back they decided to change their mind. a full hotel without another room available and they decide to charge us for a dirty room. corporate customer service has agreed to refund us, but at the date of this review the cheque is still in the mail....

« Good room with very good staff »

The rooms and staff at the Best Western Wine Country are very friendly helpful. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and would stay at it again if we are travelling in the area.

    « Would stay again! »

We stayed at this hotel as the last hotel on our western road trip and couldn't be happier we did. It was in west Kelowna which was perfect because we had reservations for a wine tour at Mission Hill Winery. It was an eight minute taxi ride up to the winery. It's a further commute to downtown but we knew that when booking. The hotel is very clean, has a great water slide (fun for all ages), hot tub and complementary breakfast. The service was great. We have zero complaints and would stay again.

« Much attention to detail »

We had problems finding this hotel since our GPS couldn't find the address and even the CAA tour guide just brought us to the vicinity. We finally phoned and found we were nearby. The problem is that Carrington Road runs BEHIND the hotel and neither my husband nor I noticed the sign near the hotel roof. Suggest a sign at eye level. Otherwise, we were very pleased with this hotel. It was new, clean, had a nice indoor pool with water slide, the bedroom was very well-appointed and well-thought-out. There were more lights than any hotel we've been in, including a ceiling light, floor and table lights. The room was quite large with lots of room to walk around the king bed and around the armchair and desk area. The bathroom was large and modern but could have used better lighting for makeup or a makeup mirror, but this is minor. The closet had a safe, iron and ironing board. The full breakfast selection was great, including 2 waffle-makers, a pancake-maker, omelets, sausages, yogurt, cereal, toast, pastries, juice and a great blueberry syrup for the waffles and pancakes in addition to the usual pancake syrup. Several ladies were kept busy constantly stocking things and even topping up our coffee cups.

« Great Location, Good Amenities »

My husband and I recently stayed at this new hotel and were very satisfied with the accommodations. We had a 2 Queen Room with Mountain View and Balcony overlooking a golf course. We were extremely happy with the location, just 10 minutes from the waterfront in downtown Kelowna, across the bridge. West Kelowna offered many hiking trails and wineries too. The hotel included a hot and cold breakfast with an array of delicious offerings and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The pool, waterslide, hot tub, laundry and small exercise room were nice to have on site as well.We look forward to another visit sometime in the near future. Loved it!!

    « Amazing Hotel »

This hotel was clean, modern, friendly, good location, great water slide and hot tub. The breakfast was good and the internet was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. No complaints about the hotel, I would stay here again. The Best Western Group seem to offer great hotels. I just wish they all had dog friendly rooms as this pone did as I would always stay in Best Western Hotels as a first choice.

    « Comfortable?with some perks »

The service was very friendly and efficient. The room was a good size and clean. The bed was comfortable, although I wish there were some flatter pillows; to be fair, I didn't ask the front desk if any were available. I was able to sign onto the wi-fi without any problems, but my devices defaulted to Shaw Open, so that was what I used. There were several nice extra touches: ? a separate sitting area as well as a generous work desk ? a microwave along with the mini-fridge and coffee/tea maker ? a full size, lightweight, hairdryer ? numerous outlets: four in the bathroom and several throughout the room ? the TV could swivel so that it was visible from the bed and the couch ? a foam roller and mat in the gym ? a complimentary full-day coffee/tea service in the lobby The bathroom sink obviously wasn't designed with short people in mind: it was positioned further back of the counter; a stool would have been handy. The lighting in the bathroom wasn't the greatest either?it cast shadows and wasn't the best for make-up application. On the other hand, the safe was low in the closet, not shoved somewhere up on a high shelf as I've often encountered. I was surprised that there wasn't room service available. Also, the free breakfast only goes to 10 so, being a night owl, I wasn't able to take advantage. There are several restaurants on the same lot, including a Tim Hortons, and a health food market. They also had a little store for drinks, snacks, ice cream and small items that might be needed during the trip. Convenient if you were in a hurry and couldn't stop at a supermarket or other shop. I like the idea of an adults-only swim time, being able to take a relaxing swim, or sit in the hot-tub, before bed without energetic kids around.

« Hotel was good - and staff were wonderful »

The rooms were good, location was good with market and a nice choice of walkable restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful; in particular the ladies who run the breakfast and other areas - big shout out to Sydney who kept track of everyone, their preferences, destinations and personal needs. That is what makes an ordinary hotel extraordinary.

« Stay in Kelowna Best Western Wine Country »

When we extended our stay for a third night, we were charged $82.00 over and above the price we paid for the first two nights. We were not pleased! The WIFI was terrible, didn't always work. We were not able to use our IPADs.

    « Great stay! »

This property is very new and up to date. The rooms are comfortable with fresh furnishings. The location is great because it's off the main highway and it backs a golf course, making it very quiet. It's also close to shopping. The front desk was friendly and made us feel welcome, as did the ladies running the morning breakfast area. The only things I would change/add is bathrobes in the rooms and change out the inroom coffee and the shampoo/toiletries for better quality ones. Overall, it was a great place to stay and it will likely be our choice again, should we return to the area.

« worst place in kelowna to stay »

I would never stay here again horrible service do not stay on the first floor and the supervisor is a ruse person who lies I want all my $$$ back they put me next to the laundry room and the supervisor could not care less

« Feels Like Coming Home »

Stayed for a week in late August as we have done for several years now. This hotel never fails to disappoint. Easily located; great check in and out; rooms are clean with good lighting and excellent water pressure in showers. Love the balconys and outstanding Okanagan views. Breakfast appears to have declined a bit in terms of food items offered and no daily paper anymore. Additional plug ins for charging phones etc in rooms would be welcomed. Best of all though is the staff - they go out of their way to help you enjoy yourself and take care of any matter. Professional, always with a smile and extremely friendly. They make this a must come back to hotel and we will! Danny, Hayley ? and Georgette from kitchen were outstanding - way to go folks!

« Best place to stay in West Kelowna »

We had an excellent stay and the breakfast was excellent each day! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is close to all major shopping, restaurants and Two Eagles Golf Course which was in great condition. Once you are at the hotel, there is no need to drive anywhere all amenities are within walking distance of the hotel. The pool, waterslide and hot tub are kept clean and are in excellent condition. This hotel is highly recommended !

    « Would recommend »

Nice clean hotel. Reasonable rates. We choose this hotel to do West Kelowna Wine Tours.Full breakfast included was just a glorified continental breakfast with warm eggs and bacon and/or sausages. While we had no children accompany us this hotel is very child oriented with the pool and slide.

« Nice Small Hotel Closed by Wineries »

Our family booked two rooms with Best Western for a night. It is conveniently located by the Highway with lots of shops and eateries surrounded it. It is few mins from Quails Gate and Mission Hills Wineries. Check-in went smoothly but were assigned on two different floors. We wished the lady who checked us in could be warmer and with some smiles, so that we felt welcome. There are two Queen size beds, microwave, mini fridge and coffee machine in the room. We stayed here five years ago , the hotel must have underwent a major renovation, the carpets are extremely clean, furniture are new except the window covering is dated. The wifi is cut off all the time so we have to sign back in all the time. Breakfast is included, it's simple buffet style. It's a good stop over hotel for you to get around all the wineries !

    « Very Nice Hotel »

Our room was huge with a king size bed. Very comfy and the room was immaculate. Would recommend this hotel. Water slide in the pool area would be a perfect spot for families with children. Close to many wineries and just off the main highway. Golf course and restaurants were walking distance away. Complimentary breakfast was very enjoyable with a waffle station and many other choices to start your day off. Would stay here again.

« Clean, Comfy and I got to make my own Belgian Waffle? »

Unique hot breakfast was a fun experience as you got to make your own waffles and pancakes. The pancake machine is a little black box of wonder. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were very nice and didn't have that weird smell you sometimes get with neglected pools. Had a great sleep on firm yet Comfy mattress. Fridge, coffee maker, large tub/shower,lush towels, and did I mention Hot Breakfast included. Not fancy but very good value for your dollar. Definately coming back.

    « Great location »

We spent two nights in this well located hotel, and would definitely recommend it to other travelers. Our two queen bed room at the back had a balcony and lovely view of the golf course, and was very quiet. The whole hotel seemed to be very clean and well maintained. The included breakfast was fine, offering something for everyone, and provided a good start to the day. All the staff members we came in contact with were friendly and very professional. We shall stay there again next time we are in the area.

    « Great cleaning staff »

Very impressed with the attention to detail of the cleaning staff. Done right, things looked after. A very comfortable room, breakfast is average and overcrowded. If you go to the lobby to find a table, beware of the low mantle on the fireplace!

« Everything but the shuttle »

Great location, great amenities, great rooms. Just wish they had a shuttle to the local wineries. Enjoyed the room, balcony, breakfast and convenience to Mission Hill. Didn't enjoy paying a king's ransom for shuttle services to Mission Hill.

« West Bank Location close to food/stores »

Good location on the West Bank. Huge room that we bought with our Airmiles. Good food nearby. We went to Kelly O'Brayan's in the strip mall right in front of the hotel last night after the football game. Sitting outside on their patio till midnight, we just soaked up that warm summer evening, didn't even need a jacket. Tim Hortons in the parking lot for those who need their coffee their way in the mornings. Walmart, Burger King, London Drugs across the freeway. Bit of a drive to the beach. Complimentary breakfast was great with attentive staff.

    « Nice family stay »

Stayed here for 5 nights for a family vacation. This was the 1st time I've taken my family to Kelowna, and overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is relatively new, and everything is still clean, modern looking and well kept. We came a couple hours early hoping we could check-in early, but it is high season, so it wasn't. We understand that. But that particular front desk person could have been friendlier. We came back a few hours later and our room was ready to go. We were checked-in by a different person, and they were much friendlier. We got a two queen room facing the golf course, and it was generally very nice. It was a good size with LCD TV, small (quiet!) fridge , microwave and in-room safe. We also had a balcony over looking the golf course across the street. Just a few small problems: - The chair didn't fit well with the work desk (the arms aren't low enough to go under the desk which made for an awkward sitting position) - The beds were firmer than I like, and the pillows were lumpy - The toiletries (shampoo and conditioner) smelled horrible and didn't have much cleaning action Since our room faced the golf course, we had no issue with noise. We didn't hear any noise from other suites despite the hotel being completely full. I should note to future travellers that this is the first hotel that I've been where if you don't specifcially put up the sign that you want your room serviced, your room gets skipped. Breakfast is standard including one hot egg and meat, and then oatmeal, cereal, breads, fruit, and yogurt. There's also make-it-yourself waffle station. And this was the first time I've seen a make-to-order pancake machine - just press a button and wait for two pancakes to come out! There's also coffee and tea. Being in a shopping plaza, there's a Tim Horton's, Dominos Pizza, Thai restaurant, Japanese restaurant and Irish Pub within a minute walking distance. There's also a natural grocery store too. We only tried the Thai restaurant, which was only so-so. One of the reasons I picked the hotel was because of the waterslide. My kids enjoyed the pool, but I should note the following: - technically, there is a 42" minimum height requirement to use the slide - half of the pool acts as the landing are for the slide, which leaves only the other half for swimming. The pool is already small to begin with, so it's OK when it's quiet, but when there's more than 6 people in the pool, it's too crowded. - and yes, no children are allowed after 9pm. But i didn't mind this, as by 9pm, young children should be in bed anyways. The location was good for us as it is near both the Mission Hill and Quails Gate winery, both which have very good restaurants. Only takes 10 to 15 minutes to get to downtown Kelowna. Although not perfect, we were very happy with our stay here. I think it provided the best value as it was lower priced than similar hotels in Kelowna, but offers a newer and fresher building. I would come back.

    « Very nice hotel »

We stayed one night here and it was very nice, a great view of the golf course 18 th hole. Rooms large and comfortable, indoor pool was a little bit small.lots of parking and close to the major highway.

« Nice new hotel close to amenities. »

The hotel is relatively new, and in good condition. The check-in process was quick, and the staff are friendly. The room was clean and in good condition; we liked having the patio, which are only on the rooms facing east. The pool was a bit on the small side, but the kids loved the waterslide. As mentioned in other reviews, the kids have to be out of the pool by 9:00 to make room for adults only, but I can understand why. The breakfasts are decent, with standard offerings. The hotel is close to amenities; there is a Tim Horton's and other meal options just across the parking lot. There is a golf course across the road from the hotel, and you are about a 10 minute drive from a couple of great wineries (Mission Hills and Quail's Gate).

    « Clean, spacious rooms »

Great hotel if you're hitting the golf course! Close to the beaches on Lake Okanagan as well. The continental breakfast was good. They serve waffles, as well as fresh apples and plums. I was pleased to see they had plain oatmeal, with raisins, dried cranberries and walnuts to add. As well, they offered the choice of regular milk or soy. The pool is adults only from 9-11 PM. Fun water slides as well.

    « BW Kelowna »

Nice, average accommodation. Internet useless-weak to no signal. Clean rooms. Breakfast was slightly above average. Staff friendly, helpful. Value was average to slightly above average. Location was good for wine country.

« Pool closes at 9 for kids »

We enjoyed our stay here for the most part. We had 2 different rooms (booked 4th night a few months later, had to switch rooms) and actually liked the smaller 2 bed room vs suite. Rooms were clean, breakfast was good and the ladies running breakfast were wonderful. We didn't like that the pool was closed at 9 to kids -- seriously?? We were there 4 nights and our kids swam once. This is a deal breaker for us and we probably wouldn't stay again.

« Great room, good location »

BW's have improved alot and this fairly new one is still very clean and modern. Quiet too. Beds are pretty firm but comfy. They offer a breakfast with ok food choices, waffle maker, cold cereal, toast etc. The only thing it's served only for a short time and if you get there late, they run our of stuff and while we were there it's peak season so you usually have to grab it and take it to your room because there are limited seats. Or if you miss it Tim Horton's is in the same parking lot. :) The pool seemed Ok, we didn't try it but liked the adult time 9pm-11pm option. Staff was friendly. Room were tidied everyday, quickly. A note, you can't really walk to Walmart or stores across the street (hwy97) as there is not a traffic light or safe crosswalk, so you need to treck up to the one light a few blocks and back down. *Sigh* so close yet so far.

« Good value and pet friendly! »

It was our first stay at the Best Western in Kelowna and we stayed here with our 2 dogs. We were here for a wedding and the location was great as the wedding reception was across the street at the golf course. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again especially with the continental breakfast offered!

    « not a family friendly destination »

My family has stayed at this location for a family holiday. The have made a new rule that kids / families are not permitted to use the pool after 9 pm. This is a new disappointing policy of Best Western. Even though you pay for a family stay at the property, your family is only allowed to use facilities at certain times. They say kids are not allowed to use the pool past 9 pm due to noise, and its reserved for adults. Adults are just as loud as any kids in a pool setting. The staff are rude, and have no professionalism in telling guests that they are required to exit the pool. Even though the pool is not being used by any adults post 9pm, the staff states that they would rather have no one use the facility at all. Management have avoided the issue and would not be compassionate for the concerns we addressed. The property is always in high demand, and used by many guests. It is disappointing that even though property is privately owned that they would not want to encourage familes to have a good times while staying there. When the weather is cold and rain and the only option is to stay onsite and use the facilities that you pay for, to have ignorant employee to kick you out of the pool is far from acceptable I am sure Best Western board members and share holders would agree that families should be encouraged to stay and enjoy the entire properties, they do not advertise that this is a adult exclusive site. Best Western will not be supported by our annual family and extended familes travels in the future

    « Nice Hotel »

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights July 8/9. Check in went smoothly (we checked in mid day Friday) however 2 other members of our group who checked in during the evening shift both had issues with the unfriendliness of the front desk, including a visual "eye roll" by the lady when she was asked a basic question. Our room was clean and had a nice view of the golf course. We were disappointed that the Jacuzzi was not working and marked off with yellow tape. For the price (yes it was peak season) it was very disappointing to not have access to this much anticipated amenity. Room cleaning was acceptable but not outstanding. The morning breakfast was nice. The highlight of this hotel was the lady who worked in the breakfast area (I believe her name was Sydney). She was outstanding with everyone who came for breakfast and had the most positive and welcoming presentation that it was definitely worth making note of here. I would recommend this hotel but it's pricey for what is offered. Apples in the lobby areas was a nice touch and appreciated.

« Ok, good breakfast, convenient. »

We stayed here 2 nights, was just basic, the breakfast was good, room was clean enough. The waterslide and pool area are very small. We booked a disabled room for a relative in a wheelchair and that was a great amenity.

« Front desk staff not helpful »

I stayed in early July in this property. At night I went to front desk to ask for creamer for a tea or a milk. The front desk staff said that they don't serve creamer nor the milk for the tea and i was directed to Tim Horton. Room space cleaning was good but front desk staff unprofessional.

    « No Go! »

As a family of four (2 kids) we definitely experienced the most unfriendly service in a Hotel ever. Mainly two women at the front desk won the gold medal in not being customer oriented at all! In addition, the pool appeared dirty, yet creamy! Promising as a main advantage of their place the great pool with water slide, definitely not okay.

« New hotel with a balcony view »

This hotel was recently built which puts it in a higher class over other Best Westerns that were converted. Breakfast and waterslide is a bonus. The beds are comfy and décor is modern. Our 2-queen's room had a balcony that overlooked the golf course which was nice. Rooms are slightly smaller than the nearby Holiday Inn, but conveniently located just off the highway and close to several big box stores and restaurants with easy access to local fresh produce like the popular Paynter's Market. Hotel prices are higher in West Kelowna, and this one is no exception. If price isn't a major factor, this hotel is a good choice for an overnight stay.

    « Great! »

Great hotel. The continental breakfast was the best. Room was clean. We had a balcony where we could look out at the golf course. Highly recommended. The front desk staff were friendly as well as helpful. Would stay at this location again for sure.

    « A great Hotel for a Rest »

Nice people working here. Georgette was a whirl wind, cleaning and helping at the continental breakfast. Rooms were clean and quiet. We had a pet friendly room that was spotless. Lots of parking. Close to shopping and other amenities. Good pricing even with the business of the long weekend.

    « Great all-around hotel. »

The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room with a king size bed was absolutely spotless. The bed and pillows were one of the best we've ever slept on in all our travels - I didn't want to get up it was that comfy. There is a pool with a waterslide and a jacuzzi, which our friends enjoyed. The breakfast offered a lot of choices. They make homemade cinnamon buns but, unfortunately they were all gone before 8 a.m. so we didn't get any. My pictures show the view from our room (facing the highway) but it was absolutely dead quiet so we had a restful sleep (4th floor). First hotel we've ever stayed in that had a dual cup coffee maker and we loved that. Also had a fridge and microwave. Situated in a strip mall with a pub, Thai restaurant, Tim Horton's, and small shops. It really is a lovely hotel. Outside parking only.

« Good value for the money at this time of the season »

The room was nice, the linen was fresh, the room was clean and tidy. Only a couple of issues with the room; the bathroom door was unbalanced and kept swinging shut on its own - resulting in a bumped elbow or three. The closer on the faucet for the sink plug broke on the first morning, and was still broken when we checked out four nights later. Otherwise happy with the location; great for quick access to Peachland, Summerland and Penticton and area. Great not to have to navigate through congested Kelowna proper traffic. However the mattresses were rather uncomfortable and the comforter was lumpy.

    « Spacious room »

We stayed one night, had a king bed on the ground floor. The waterslide was fun, the hot tub could have been a bit hotter, felt like a bath. The room had a fridge and microwave. Bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. Shower had lots of pressure. Room was clean. Breakfast was ok, too much processed foods for my liking, like most continental breakfasts. They do have some hot options, but they are pre-made frozen products. Even the boiled eggs were ones from a pail or package, so they have a rubbery texture. I know, it's a free, continental breakfast, but I have been to other hotels that have had better.

    « Beautiful view room »

Stayed for one night. Requested a King Bed view room on top floor. The view overlooked the 9th hole of the golf course with Okanagan Lake in the background. This side of the hotel faces away from the highway so it is quiet. The location is central for all amenities in West Kelowna. The breakfast was complimentary but nothing special, The usual carbs, cereals, breads with some pre-cooked boiled eggs. Would stay there again.

« Great hotel, great staff »

Feels like a hotel in Vegas. Furnishings/bedroom style is very contemporary. Breakfast is great, better than most other hotels and it's free. Staff are always very welcoming. Recycling boxes in the rooms, which I like to see. And I just found out they have a night swim time available only for adults, which is nice. Near lots of shopping/restaurants.

    « WineCountry »

Always a good stay at this BW Hotel . We stayed for our 48th anniversary and were welcomed by everyone Kathy in the breakfast room deserves a medal xxoo Stephanie and the others at the front desk were so very good to us too !!

    « Very Nice Property »

This is a very nice and new property They have beautiful rooms , tasteful decor and a good hot breakfast. The pool ( though a bit small ) has a cool twisty enclosed 30 foot waterside that the kids loved Nice big hot tub too Would recommend this to everyone !!

    « Pleasantly surprised! »

My husband and I stayed here last month as we were attending a wedding in Kelowna. We left it to the last minute to book our 2 nights so we didn't get to stay where most of the other wedding guests stayed. So we booked here and were pleasantly surprised once we checked in at how lovely of a hotel it was. Loved our room, had a King Bed with a balcony overlooking a Golf Course and the bathroom was huge. Everything was modern and the room was clean and very spacious. We were there as a couple but if we had little kids, we would definitely stay here again as they have a great little inside pool with a waterslide...perfect for young families. That aside, we loved our stay here and would definitely choose to stay here again if we return to West Kelowna!

« Good place to stay; close to restaurants. »

Very comfortable but air conditioning very cool when on and quite noisy. When turned off room got very hot. Continuous flashing light above bed from fire alarm was very annoying while trying to go to sleep.

    « Great stay »

I needed to stay at the hotel for a extended period of time because I had to find a safe place for my Mom to live and sell her home. Best western kept me at the same rate and were so kind and sympathetic to what I was going through. I thank all the staff for changing my dates so many times and keeping me in the same room even though they really had to work at it. Thank you...

    « Kelowna's West Bank suprise! »

As most hotels in Kelowna were sold out - we were directed to look at West Kelowna?? - what a surprise!!! Great newer hotel - great service - great amenities and Food and shopping within walking distance, golf across the street!! and at the beginning ( or end ) of the wine route. Will most likely stay here when in the area from now on for BOTH business and pleasure.

« The Awesome Breakfast Ladies »

I have to say I have never received such wonderful service as I did Monday morning at the continental breakfast. We blew our tire going home from a long weekend in Kelowna from a Football Tournament. I was not looking to pay any more money from the expensive weekend but on our way home on the highway between Kelowna and Merritt my tire blew and had to be towed back into Kelowna to Kel Tire across the road from you guys. We were stuck on the road for 5.5 hours before we got back into town. I had my 7 year old son with my husband, my friend and myself in the truck. I was drained to the max of money, energy, drained mentally, physically and still had to show happiness to my little one. We didn't get to the hotel until 10pm my poor son didn't have dinner until 11pm because we loaded everything into the hotel which our keys keep breaking down and having to be replaced by front desk. It was so exhausting I wanted to cry and more so when I saw a bill for $214.00 for a 2 Queen bed bedroom when I told it was under $200.00 for the amount we used it for. I wasn't about to complain since I just couldn't cry anymore I was tired. We woke up early so we can get the tire changed and back on the road. I told my husband to deal with the truck ill deal with Breakfast for our son. So we went downstairs and he was so excited because all he wanted was bacon. He went in there looking for some and there was none. So he asked a lady who was walking around helping people and asked her if there was any bacon. She said no not until tomorrow. He was sad but said ?ok, thank you anyways? So she said ?Let me see what I can do, no guarantees but I will ask, how many would you like?? he replies ?6 or 7? lol she laughed and laughed she said ok and off she went. A few minutes went by and she come back with 7 pieces of bacon. The lady was so wonderful it put a huge smile on his face and it made me smile which was pretty hard since depression was starting to kick in. The lady in the back that was cooking it was so wonderful my son went over there and was thanking all of them so much. They were chatting with him and making him smile and really just made our morning. He is still talking about them. It really meant something to us and you have no idea what that did to us. We are forever greatful for such friendliness and hospitality that they shown. Those 2 ladies are amazing. Your hotel should be very proud of those 2. The only complaint is that it was way to expensive for us. Thank you Tanya Favell

« Superb but for architrecture »

Our first foray into British Columbia confirms that this is a robust wine region, and if you're looking for a place to stay that's inexpensive, serviceable, and close to some of the best, this ought to be a choice. I'll start with the imperfections. Why do architects think they need to innovate in ways that don't work? Our room's layout was not working. It was a nice room, comfy bed, lots of space, good bath. But the bed area was separated from the lounging/work area with a half-wall and a sort of squared arch, and it didn't work. The TV was at the wall at the foot of the bed, but the couch was in the other woom--the long room with a partial wall caused the interior part to be gloomy, even with all the lamps turned on. There are a surfeit of electrical outlets, some in rather odd places, but that's a plus. It's a little unfair for me to hold the hotel responsible for the foolishness of its architect--but the error is there. And one other issue--getting logged into the wi-fi involves connecting, then opening the browser to hope that the "terms and conditions" screen auto-loads so you can click the "I consent' button and then do what you need. Other chains are providing high-speed internet that requires none of this nonsense. Moreover, my smartphone sees to have been reprogrammed so that the home page on the browser is Best Western--please stuff that. In all other ways the facility is great. Staff is friendly and helpful. Their breakfast is as gfood as any chain's and better than most; I enjoyed bacon (first time on this lengthy vacation) and mini-cheese omelets and--cheat my diet--a small cheese Danish. There's a nice indoor pool, good for the kids, with a hot tub for the achy adults. If time and opportunity permit, I think I'd love to return to this area and to visit several more of the vineyards--they have an ideal wine-growing region. If I do, I will certanly look for a room here again--architecture notwithstanding. And despite that I'll have to reset the home page on my smart phone. The positives far outweigh the negatives.

    « A night in Wine Country »

This was a one night stay for my husband and I. We are retired and have been to Kelowna many times. This was our first stay at this Hotel. It is definitely a step up from a regular Best Western. The hotel looks fairly new and the rooms are very nicely appointed. We had a room with 2 queens, a view of the golf course and a lovely little balcony where we relaxed on a warm night with a glass of wine for me and beer for my husband. If you are on vacation, Kelowna has so much to offer from city facilities to wineries and wonderful dining and superb recreational facilities. In the winter the ski hills are not far away. We have stayed in the other Best Western in kelowna proper but we prefer this one. the appointments are much nicer. The beds were very good and the room was equipped with the usual microwave, fridge, and coffee machine. Wine glasses are provided--you are in wine country. We were on vacation but I noticed business people and golfers checking in. The Best Western always has the nice touch of fruit and fresh chocolate chip cookies at the check in area along with tea and coffee. The breakfast room was clean and well stocked and along with waffles and pancakes you could order omelets and bacon. The only drawback might possible be traffic noise if you aren't used to it but when the windows are shut you don't hear it. the hotel also has a pool with a water slide which I'm sure would be a big hit with children. It also has a 2 hour adult swim later at night. The pool looked clean and well cared for There is a little mall , actually several little malls that you can access for fast food. We opted to walk just down the street to the restaurant at the golf course--The 19th Hole. It was very nice with a varied menu and varied prices from appi's to steaks.--dress casual. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area! B Ferguson

« charged twice, didn't receive advertised special »

The hotel itself was very nice but trying to reserve online was impossible through Best Western site. Had to book through Expedia and then got charged by both Expedia and Best Western??? Very frustrating experience.

From check in to check out this hotel was awesome!! Stephanie on check in was super friendly and very helpful! Amazing room that was upgraded was greatly appreciated! Everything about this hotel great from room to staff!! we will be back!!

    « Nice hotel »

Stayed here for two nights. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. If there was any down fall it would be the lighting in the bathroom. It was not very good for shaving as the lighting produced a lot of dark shadows. The hotel is close to shopping.

« Excellent Service and Staff »

Stayed for a weekend Baseball Tournament. Was in and out of the facility often. Always pleasant staff and always available for questions. Hotel offers hot breakfast which was available early, which suited us fine.

« Very clean, comfortable and new hotel »

This hotel offered a very clean and comfortable travel experience. There was a very modern roomy room provided to us. Breakfast room had a lot of choices. There was a pool, hot tub and exercise room. Check-in and check-out was fast and efficient. I have no complaints.

    « Location, location, location »

Wonderful location for wine country! Views of Mission Hill winery and the lake. Easy drive to other wineries. Clean, cozy room, great staff and filling breakfast, not to mention a pool and hot tub! Love to come back.

    « Modern & Comfortable »

We did not rent a car, the hotel is very close to Greyhound West Bank station. local bus stop is about 10 mins walk. Surrounded by restaurants, London Drugs is close by. With a great view! The hotel public area and guest room is very clean. Modern design... I have to stay the shower was great!!! Bed was comfortable. We had a King room on the second floor, room was spacious. In-room thermostat worked (our stay was in late May - Victoria long weekend but the weather was not great...windy and cloudy...) We were very satisfied that we were able to keep ourselves comfortable with the temperature in room. Breakfast starts early 7 to 10am, worked out well for us as we had to leave with an early bus. Love the self-service pancake machine :p Only thing have to mention is the wifi... it was not stable at all.

    « Balconies, Nice touch »

I really was surprised to have a balcony. I find this a nice added bonus. We had a nice clean room and a view of the golf course. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Continental breakfast provided and everything was good.

    « Average Best Western »

Best Western as expected. We had a room on the top floor with views to a golf course and the Lake Okanagan in the distance. The hotel is situated in a mall next to the highway. We had a double queen room - spacious enough. Beds a bit on the firm side. Breakfast only on plastic and other disposable items.

    « Short Stay »

We were in Kelowna for only a couple of days and found the hotel to be an excellent choice. Facility and rooms were very nice. We would stay there again. The staff were very personable and helpful. The breakfast was tasty with a large assortment of food.

    « Excellent »

Absolutely a great place and new. Excellent service and staff. Made an error with reservations for Best Western Plus in Kelowna but was glad as this hotel was superb. Excellent free breakfast in the AM.

« Nice place but needs to get things in order »

Stayed here before, has been good in the past, gym needs updating for people who actually lift weights, and please get Sportsnet Pacific it's in the basic cable package, spend some $ Best Western please.

    « Luxury Luxury Suite »

We booked the luxury suite for a romantic night away. It was the most beautiful room we have stayed in for a very long time. Rivals anywhere we have stayed before and we travel all over the world. Want to feel like movie stars? Stay here.

    « Nice Facility »

We spent 3 days here while attending a convention. Rooms were clean and the front desk staff were exceptional. The included continental breakfast was typical best Western. Good variety and tasty. Quite adequate. Would stay here again.

    « Great pool area! »

We took our daughter and some friends here for her birthday party. The waterslide was an obvious hit with the kids. The hotel was very clean and staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the fruit infused water at check in. The breakfast was very good with a lot of options. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

    « Excellent spot for a 2 nights stay »

I was there with my wife and daughter (10 years old) in May 2016. the desk managers were just perfect, Polite, dedicated to help us! We had an upgrade from a standard 2 queen beds to a suite for a good price! Suite is clean and great! Free wifi and breakfast buffet very good!

    « Disappointing »

After a fair amount of research online we booked this hotel for a family getaway. The hotel itself is clean and well appointed. It is however in a bit of an industrial/ big box retail area. The side of the hotel facing the shops is pretty loud with road noise, so definitely ask to face the golf course when you book. It is a drive away from actual Kelowna, so be prepared to use this as a base and then visit different places from here. We arrived with some very excited children keen to use the pool and water slide (a key reason for choosing this location) . It was freezing... And the hot tub was out of order. We enquired twice at the front desk, whether the temp could be increased but were told it was pre set 80 degrees (it certainly was not) which may explain why no one was in there. The hotel reception and manager were very dismissive and didn't even check before repeating that it is 80 degrees. The next day, we checked the in pool thermometer 69 degrees I spoke to the front desk reception again, she tried to repeat the message of the previous day but I told her that we had checked the thermometer and it was much less than 80 degrees. Another hotel staff member walked past and casually said no the pool is cold because the heat pump is broken. No apology for the fact that the pool is out of commission again today (half way through our four day break and no pool for the kids still). I understand that things break down and these things happen, but the staff have been pretty poor in handling this... We feel like nuisances and that we are raising an issue that they are clearly uninterested in. We have been waiting for more than a hour to speak to the hotel manager... But no call yet! Never mind I have the crying five year old to contend with having just told him we can't go swimming again!! ????????

« Customer service was very poor »

This is the first review of a hotel I've ever done. To start out when we checked in at the desk the manager and other employee were talking and dealing with an issue on the computer. I stood there for at least 5 min. before they acknowledged me there. When I said my name, they did not have my booking. I showed the staff my email confirmation. They could not find my booking and the manager Tina said that they were switching over to a new system. Then they proceeded to tell me that there was a charge of a "no show" on April 6th. I never was there on the 6th. I booked the hotel on that day. They asked me if I received an email confirmation of this no show etc. I said no because I never booked that that. The manager then proceeded to tell me that they might have put the payment through the Visa for that no show but wasn't sure about it. She requested that we phone the Visa company and produce proof that the payment was put through. We just arrived and had to go upstairs to call Visa to open an online banking account to see if we could prove that the Visa payment was put through. AFter half an hour of setting the online banking up which did not work, the Visa company stated that the establishment should know whether the payment went through or not. So we went down to the desk again and stated that the payment went through. Tina said "ok, we will credit you back the payment". All the while she knew from her records that it did and could look whether the payment was charged. Her flippant attitude was not appreciated. Prior to this, not having our reservations, they quickly found us a room and proceeded to overcharge us the amount we had booked through This had to be changed as well. We were running late by then to a weddin party. The next day we decided to finally use the pool during adult time. The hot tub was very cold. I called to the front desk and asked "do you know why the hot tub is so cold". The desk clerk then said, she had refilled the tub-who does this during the public swim hours? The temperature was below 80F and the jets were pumping cold water. When I called again to ask how long would it take to heat up, her reply was "it will heat up", then we saw her run to the pool room following the conversation. After a third call and a the temp was 68F we finally asked how long it would take to heat, the girl was never truthful-if she had just said she didn't turn the hot water on, or it will take a few hours that would have been better than not giving us a truthful answer. Really, should this not be done after swim hours, not during when you want a hot tub prior to bed? The poor customer service and the dismissive attitude was very surprising. No compensation for the hassle of the check in was very disappointing. I would not recommend staying at this hotel as I feel it is poorly managed. Even our guests commented about it. The room however was clean and spacious. The breakfast meal was great.

    « A great place to stay »

A wonderful place to stay. Great views, considerate staff and close to everything. My guest from New York was overwhelmed by the drive from Vancouver and was not let down by the reception we received from the hotel staff. And I have to mention the great breakfast buffet - best coffee in town and best staff. Thank you.

« A great spot in west Kelowna »

I would recommend this Best Western it is very modern and close to everything you need to do also take a trip across the parking lot to the restaurants there and try the pool out, also take a break and go golfing.

« Great place to stay »

Very comfortable bed and good staff. Breakfast was a step above most complimentary breakfasts. We were moving and so glad to have a quiet, comfortable place to spend our last night in West Kelowna! Good quality hotel!

« Good for an overnight. Choose the golf course side. »

Clean hotel with pleasant staff. Pool is great for kids. Decent place to overnight on your way through. If you are doing things on the other side of Kelowna don't stay here as the traffic getting back and forth across the bridge will waste a lot of your time.

« Great Hotel and Staff.. Horrible Breakfast unhealthy processed food, and bad illeuipped fitness center. »

The hotels and staff are excellent. Very clean and well run property. However the fitness center is pointless as it does not have a selection of free weights. The breakfast was very poor and all the food was processed and bad. Please more fresh items, maybe use real eggs in stead of the cardboard egg like substance you are using now? even if it means charging more for the rooms thats fine do it! It makes a big difference. Also the pillows are very soft, firmer pillows would be nice as well. Thanks

« Good location, clean hotel »

Stayed here for two nights in March 2016 while visiting friends in West Kelowna. Great location in West Kelowna, close to shops, restaurants, vineyards and the golf course. Arrived late at night at the front desk staff member was pleasant and moved our room to the top floor away from the elevator (as per our original request) which was much appreciated; originally, they wanted to put us in a first floor room beside the elevator (exactly opposite of what we requested). Room was very clean, large and the bathroom appears to have been recently remodeled (very modern with a great shower). For a hotel room as large as we had (included a living room suite), the bed was surprisingly small. Wi-Fi was not very good; spotty at best (and we had 3 devices we tried connecting). Lots of families at this hotel; can be noisy at times. Breakfast was just "okay" - have stayed at many hotel chains with better selection, but this wouldn't make or break us staying here again. The biggest downfall for us at this hotel was the so-called "fitness center" - quite frankly, it is not a fitness center and one of the worst I have seen at a hotel (I travel A LOT and work out every day so I have seen my fair share). Very small, cramped and hardly anything in the way of free weights/weight machines. We had stayed here previous to this stay and would stay here again for a quick stopover if needed again.

    « Fabulous hotel...needs more accessible parking »

This hotel is fantastic, especially geared for family travel. Excellent beds, beautiful clean rooms, lovely bathrooms! If you want to get away from the pool I suggest upper floors or far end of hall. The accessible rooms being adjacent to the lobby are great, a little more noisy, but really NOT bad, considering that we were there at the height of March Break I would say that we had the test, and it was reasonable. If you need "pin drop quiet" this is not for you...otherwise, you will be fine. The breakfast is very good, and the staff are extremely accommodating. The lot has 2 "blue" spots for the whole hotel...(at least 5 accessible rooms on the main floor) so that could be improved.

« Poor customer service at Front Desk - Poor Management »

We stayed here 2 nights and found the accommodation to be fair. The hotel is modern and the guestrooms are a good size. The pet-friendly room was spacious but the carpet was dirty. Ants in the bathroom. At $25 pet fee per night the room should be clean! One morning we were sitting in the lobby, with our puppy, waiting for our daughter to join us. There was only one staff member around who was hurrying between front desk duties and her duties in the breakfast room. Several people were waiting up to 10 minutes for service at the front desk. One guest was elderly and was struggling with a walker, having to wait for a long time for the woman to return to the front desk. When the coffee ran out, I asked the lady if there was a refill coming up soon, and she gave me a grouchy look and barked: "yes yes its almost ready". I walked back to our seat in the lobby and then she turned on me, yelling: "Is that your dog? He is not allowed to be in here!" I was shocked by her loud angry tone and then she continued with loudly, her voice echoing inside the lobby: "it is in the pet regulations, he is only allowed to walk in and out of the hotel" "You have to take him out of here". There was another guest seated behind us who gave me a strange look, and another couple waiting at the desk who overheard this embarrassing exchange. I followed the attendant into the breakfast room, and spoke to her inside the door to the kitchen, where it was quiet. I pointed out that she had embarrassed me in front of other guests and I made it clear that this was unacceptable. The lady, Stephany, insisted that she was right in the way she handled the situation and refused to apologize. A complaint to the Manager later proved fruitless. Of course I had to wait for a long time before the Manager made herself available. Then this Manager said she 'sympathized' but then proceeded to praise the employee, Stephany, by saying that they 'hardly ever have any problems with her" and that she "had been there for four years". It was such an obvious brush-off and I told her that this employee appears to feel very secure in her job and was obviously protected by her Manager. This kind of behavior is not something that just magically pops up out of nowhere, the whole demeanor of this staff member was offensive and the look on her face tells guests that she looks down on them. This dismissive attitude is a blemish on this otherwise good hotel. I feel that this employee, Stephany, is in urgent need of further training in the hospitality industry, with the emphasis on anger management.

    « Excellent night stay »

The kids loved the pool with the water slide and the complimentary breakfast was perfect as with every best western. the room was very clean and we had a nice view of the golf course across the street. The beds were extremely comfortable. The kids described it as the lap of luxury

    « clean »

Very nice room, friendly staff, good breakfast. easy online check in and easy check out. pool was a little chilly but refreshed you for your next adventure. great location everything was close by and convienient

« Will book here again on next trip to Kelowna. »

Right from (Ashley??? on desk at check in) taking care of some B/W Travel cards until checkout I was impressed with Hotel. Had a great room 3rd floor balcony and never heard a sound all night. The pool was well used, they have a two floor water slide that the kids there seemed to really enjoy. Cannot ask for much more at the breakfast buffet and there is lots of seating area. Also like express checkout. Have no trouble with recommending B/W Plus Wine Country Hotel...............

« Lovely hotel, but don't come for the pool »

The hotel is lovely and in great condition. Nice, clean and modern rooms with comfortable beds. Parking is easy and close to quite a few places to eat. Loved the small balcony overlooking the golf course. Road noise is minimal and quietens down in the evening. The only let down is the pool. There is a slide for the kids, but the pool is really small and is little more than a landing area for the slide. Kids take it over and make it unpleasant for adults to even be in the room. Very disappointing.

    « Great location »

Stayed here 3 nights. Was upgraded to first house wasn't this big! Very clean, the one lady at front desk whose name eludes me (pony tail in hair) was just the friendliest! My only complaint, if you can call it that, is the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim...made shaving a bit difficult. Would definitely stay here again!

    « Very nice, new, mid-range hotel »

Stayed 1 night when passing through, modern, clean hotel. The king bed was so very comfortable, nicely appointed room. Bathroom was great, clean, although the vanity light was poor (too dim for makeup etc). Not a cheap hotel, but I guess you get what you pay for... Also included a terrific breakfast buffet, although we didn't have time to sit & eat, they let us take a selection to go.

    « Another Great Stay »

Busy time in the hotel as they were housing a lot of young hockey players. Considering how may kids were in the hotel, it was still pretty quiet. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly. Easy access on and off the highway. Close to shopping and restaurants.

« Close to Everything in West Kelowna »

Best Western Plus WIne Country has an ideal location for visitors to West Kelowna. Close to the wine tours, just across the street from shopping, drug stores, etc. The hotel is easy to find with direct access from the highway. The rooms were clean and the king size bed was most comfortable with fresh linen and five pillows. In room fridge, coffee maker and microwave are appreciated for the traveller looking to keep costs down. The hotel takes security very seriously with carded access during the night. Also a great value with the complementary hot continental breakfast. Definitely a great value that checks off all the boxes for individual or family travellers.

    « My Best Western »

My stay at the Best Western Plus was just wonderful. The bed linens were clean and so was the room. I had tons of room, I stayed in a king size room. It was perfect and so was the staff, really nice. I would stay here again.

    « Awesome location- »

Lovely building with a view of the lake on one side. NIce view from breakfast area. Nice pool and waterslide for children.A viewing area as well with seating nice! Location is right off the highway and Tim Hortons and grocery store nearby with lunch counter as well!Great spot.

    « Clean & Comfortable »

We stayed here 1 night and were happy with the accommodation. Our priorities (in order) are cleanliness, security, comfort, amenities, quiet. To begin: this hotel was quite clean and well kept. The bed linens were obviously fresh and crisp and the bathroom was well cleaned (my Lysol wipes lifted very little). The front lobby doors lock at 9pm and require a card key to enter - love that. The property is either new or recently renovated - the decor is tasteful and the rooms spacious with lovely high ceilings. Continental breakfast was included: convenient. There is a pool with a compact fitness room that are well kept/in good order. We were on a ground floor and a road passed close by the window. This was a bit noisy and we kept the curtains closed to avoid giving passers-by an eyeful - this kept the room darker than ideal for getting dressed, doing makeup & hair (bathroom lighting was a little low). In addition the soundproofing between floors could use improvement (whoever was in the room above us sounded like they were moving furniture. Luckily I have custom earplugs for sleep and the tv offers decent sound so I just turned up the volume). Overall the staff, style and state of this property are very good.

« Clean, well priced stay over »

We have stayed here multiple times for quick visits to Kelowna. It is always very clean with good size rooms and comfy beds. They have an indoor pool and jacuzzi and in walking distance is a market, a Thai restaurant, Tim Horton's, a pub and 19 restaurant. As solid stay spot for a solid price.

    « Consistent »

Another great visit and great service with quick check in and friendlier service than most other places on my monthly business calls. Close to shopping close to pubs and sushi and next to a golf course sure doesn't hurt. Rooms are updated and clean with fast and reliable internet connection.

    « Kelowna trip »

Started early for Valentines day rented honey moon suit great value after business meeting we enjoyed the room a lot, warm and inviting rooms was a great clean room. Bubble tub nice and clean bring you own bubble beads none in room. the breakfast was well laid out and the attendant was very accommodating

    « GREAT- as usual »

We have stayed here a few times before and there's a reason we are repeat visitors. Service is great, staff friendly and efficient. . Rooms are very spacious, Clean and comfortable. After 9 pm at night it is adults only in pool/hot tub- FANTASTIC! So nice to get a little quiet time in the hot tub. :) Breakfast- great selection. Hot food, cold food, gluten free food and tasty coffee. Close to shopping, restaurants and even tho it's just off the main highway it's very quiet. Will stay there every chance we get.

« Great place and nice staff »

The front desk staff was excellent in ensuring our overnight stay was exactly what we wanted. The first room was very near the road and we knew we wouldn't get much sleep with the traffic so we went back to the front desk and asked for another room. The young lady at the front desk immediately found another room (upgraded us) with no questions asked. The room was nice and clean; nice décor and very quite!! Would definitely stay again. The area in which they are located is very convenient with restaurants and stores on both sides of the road

    « Good value »

Booked thru Expedia and got a good rate. Clean, bed wasn't very big. Pool is more of a kiddie pool. 3ft 7 in the "deep" end. Not good for swimming. Decent breakfast and friendly staff. Would stay again. Close to lots of shopping.

    « Best Western Kelowna »

The Best Western at Kelowna is at a really nice location , with scenic view of the mountains and lake , it is a new , modern and clean hotel and very hospitable staff. I highly recommend to anyone considering a stay in this area weather for business or pleasure

« The Best Place to Stay in Kelowna »

The staff here go out of their way for you. The place is very clean and comfortable. Spend the extra money and upgrade to the View Side! Beautiful But the parking lot side is quieter. Breakfast is one of the best!!

    « Relaxing Exprience »

The staff was extremely helpful, the hotel is very nice and it was a relaxing place to stay with everything in the near vicinity that one needs. The Hotel is extremely clean and nicely decorated with exceptional staff.

    « Excellent Hotel »

Staff very helpful and room is great. Hotel is very clean and rooms have everything you need. Coffee was good. Breakfast many many choice for a included breakfast. Service and smiles from Staff make you feel at home.

« Great Hotel for shoppers or golfers »

It's quite close to several shopping centres and even shares a parking lot with one that houses a restaurant, pub, organic grocery, and several professional offices. The room was quite comfortable with a small fridge, microwave, coffee maker, It had a pullout sofa for extra guests but was great for watching TV or reading. The bed was very comfortable. There was lots of lighting on the desk, night tables and overhead. The bathroom had a large vanity for our personal toiletries. The shower was easy to set. Very central location in the Okanagan.

« Well managed, excellent staff, comfortable room. »

Only natural cleaners are used in this hotel. We were welcomed with a fresh, light citrous smell that made breathing delightful in West Kelowna's dry climate. Front desk and cleaning staff were always quick but attentive to all our needs. No need to go out for breakfast as there is ample supply and choices for every appetite. The morning we were checking out we found an itemized list of our charges on a bill slipped under our door.

    « Nice and new »

The hotel is very new and has a very nice design inside and out.I like the use of seamless counters and the bathroom fixtures were very modern and easy to use as well a very comfortable bathtub. I like the partitions between sleeping areas and the over all design of the room was great. Very roomy!

    « A good hotel »

The room and the staff are great. It's a clean modern hotel. The location was great. The breakfast was a gong show. Most everything had run out by 9 am. It was busy but no more than what you'd expect for a normal weekend. The stay was fine but next time we'd just go out for breakfast.

« Stolen bag not addressed »

I stayed here on a business trip from October 26 - 28. By some mistake, I was booked to the wrong hotel and was not allowed to transfer to the one that I wanted. So here I am in the middle of nowhere... On day 2, my entire make up bag was stolen from the bathroom. I had cleared my things off the counter so that it would be easier for the staff to clean. After a long day at work, to come back and find your belongings missing is extremely frustrating. I reported this to a girl named Haley who was working in the front. A few of her replies were "well what do you want me to do about it?". She also said "That's weird. It never happened before, so why would it happen now?". She brushed it off as if it was crazy of me to be upset about my stuff being missing. I'm not sure if she did not believe me, or did not care. But as a guest, alone at a hotel, this really upset me. For your staff to not even address the issue of stolen items makes me wonder: Why such a large franchise has no procedure for their staff to follow when something like this happens. I also felt very unsafe after the invasion of privacy and nonchalant staff. I kept the lights on all night. I reported this to the manager the next morning. She said she would look into it and contact me. I still have not been contacted. Anyway, that is my experience at this hotel. I would not stay here ever again. Future travelers can keep this in mind and make their own choice when choosing where to stay. Thanks.

    « Great family hotel »

Excellent place to stay. Very clean, good size rooms. friendly staff, free breakfast was great. Pool and water slide was awesome. The gym is a bit small but has everything you need. Great location. Will stay there again.

    « Best Best Western »

I have yet to be disappointed with Best Western properties. Many of the hotels I stay at are arranged by others but when I am given a choice I book with Best Western. Here at the Best Western Plus Wine Country Hotel and Suites the staff are very friendly, helpful and the rooms are of excellent standard. I did not avail myself of the complimentary breakfast , however, I noticed that the other guests appeared to enjoy it. The only downside to the location is the lack of a quality restaurant; there is a variety of fast food outlets but they are not my choice for dining.

« Good (off season) value in wine country »

We were very pleased with our two-day stay in West Kelowna. Even though our room was first flor facing the parking lot, we were not bothered by noise. The staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms were impressive due to the at least ten feet tall ceiling, and the new and fresh decor and furnishings. The king-size bed was firm and comfortable, with plenty of extra pillows. The modern desk chair and a comfortable upholstered chair meant we didn't have to sit on the bed to watch the first game of the 2015 World Series go into extra innings. The hot and cold choices for breakfast were above average, and the breakfast room was spacious with plenty of seating. I wish this was not so far from home. I would love to return.

    « great hotel »

stayed two nights here at recommendation of my daughter. excellent hotel and would stay here again on next visit. good location for us and staff very helpful and cheerful. have stayed at other best western and found same level of service.

« Best Place to stay in wine country »

We had an excellent time at this property. It is very clean, has extremely friendly staff and on to of it all we were upgraded to a suite. Location is excellent, easy access to shops, wineries, restaurants and Tim Hortons. We can highly recommend this hotel.

« Fantastic Hotel in the Okanagan »

This is a very nice hotel in West Kelowna. Rooms were very spacious, clean and had a fantastic view of the lake. Breakfast was very well done with both a pancake and waffle machine plus hot food that differed daily. Good gym and pool. Overall a great place to stay just south of Kelowna, very close to a number of wineries, including Mission Hill (which we could see from our lakeside room). Highly recommend this hotel to anyone going to Kelowna. Only takes 10 minutes to get to downtown Kelowna.

    « best breakfast »

This facility has the best breakfast selection by far! The breakfast room is large and the food was hot and fresh! The kids really enjoyed the pool and waterslide areas as well! Hot tub was comfy and hot!

« Nice Strcture Poor Service »

I was not happy with the person who checked me in and out. Curt and surly are words that come to mind. So unlike my experience the night before in Golden. Won't be back. Clerk could barely acknowledge that I was standing right in front of her and ignored the information I was trying to give to her to facilitate my check-in. I felt very unwelcome and will not return to this facility. On the otherhand, the BW hotel in Golden was staffed by very helpful and responsive staff

    « Excellent Choice »

We picked this spot because it's close to some friends we went to visit, and they recommended it. When we got there, we were pleasantly surprised at its excellent amenities (room, pool with waterslide and hot-tub all looked brand-new and superb). Outside, we realized it was walking distance to many shops and minutes to major wineries and waterfront walking trails. It was off-season so we got a bargain rate but we were treated just as well as places costing us twice as much.

    « Everything you'd expect with a Plus! »

Just as the title suggests, the Best Western Plus chain consistently meets expectations in everyway. These mid range hotels are perfect for the weary traveller and for short stays. Rooms offer sufficient space, good quality beds, pillows etc., etc. If your looking for a rest stop or planning a few days in the area I'd highly recommend this hotel.

    « Great for a Short Stay »

We stayed here for two nights on a recent trip to B.C. It is nicely located right off the highway in West Kelowna with lots of restaurants and shops nearby and it is close to several wineries. We booked a room with a king size bed which was comfortable and all of the amenities in the room worked. Breakfast was fine with a selection of items you'd expect for a continental breakfast. The staff were all friendly and check in and check out were handled well. Overall a nice place for a short stay.

    « Fabulous room,view,breakfast and service »

My sister and I stayed 2 nites,October 3 & 4 and enjoyed our stay very much. Our room was a King with a beautiful view of the golf course pond and fountain which we could enjoy from inside the room or from our little balcony. We also had a fridge (where we stored our wine from local wineries we visited) a microwave and a coffee maker that made 2 great cups of coffee at a time. The hotel itself was lovely and the staff exceptional. I have a medical condition where my hips are very painful and when I requested an extra matress pad they immediately sent one up with a very friendly and efficient girl named Debbie, who put it on doubled over for extra comfort! I slept like a baby that night I am happy to say.The breakfasts in the morning were hot and delicious, 1st day pancakes and sausages, 2nd day waffles, bacon and mini omelettes. The 2 ladies that took care of the breakfast area were awesome as well, friendly and efficient. We will definitely stay again!!

« A perfect place for a mini wine tour »

I stayed at this hotel the weekend before Thanksgiving. It was close to perfection. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and well-designed, all in-room amenities worked, and our view was very nice. We took advantage of the free full breakfast both mornings and were impressed with the variety and quality. The attendants were helpful and patient as they assisted guests with the pancake machine and waffle maker. We didn't try the pool, but it looked clean and well-maintained. Location was perfect for a weekend wine tour!

« great place to stay »

clean, friendly staff, good breakfast and was centrally located to places we were visiting. also close to airport. the room was clean, bed was comfortable and internet worked well. was a positive experience for us. we felt we got good value for our money.

« Great Hotel, Close to Wineries »

This was a great hotel. The hot breakfast was very good. The location was great as well. Would definitely stay here again. Did experience a few minor issues with the television but overall it was a great place to stay.

    « Excellent »

Very comfortable beds, rooms are clean. Hot breakfast is included and there is a large enough choice to please just about everyone. Indoor pool, hot tub and water slide as well as a fitness room. Located in and around lots of shopping - if you want to wander around. Tim's across the parking lot.

    « Really Nice »

A really nice hotel with great staff. It was odd that there was a tv in the bedroom, but not the couch/living room area, but it was a deterrent. However, every time we wanted to watch TV, we had to unplug it for a minute, then punch in a code on the remote, but it just seemed to be a glitch with our room, as other guests we were staying with did not have the issue in their room. Breakfast was good, and just enough selection to please your appetite. The kids loved the pool and the staff were extremely friendly. Overall, I recommend.

« Best Western, reliable and reasonable »

We've come to expect good service and pleasant accommodations at Best Westerns, and West Kelowna BW was no exception. We appreciated the exceptionally friendly and professional staff, quiet room, and extra blankets.

    « Extremely comfortable »

We make an annual trip to Kelowna and we have always stayed at the Best Western PLUS Wine Country Hotel. We find that the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful, the rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the service is excellent. Definitely stay there again on our next trip to Kelowna.
