Best Western West Valley Inn

I frequent Best Western hotels, they are all pretty decent but this one was disappointing. -I stayed 2 nights. 1 was a free night & the other paid. I had to make 2 separate reservations. When I checked in, I was told I needed to come back the next morning to remind them that I was staying. I found that ridiculous, but I did it, only to get a knock on my room door an hour later asking when I was going to check out. When I tried to explain my situation, the women told me she did not speak English. - Our bathroom was not very clean. I had to remove a giant booger stuck to the inside of the shower curtain!! The paint was peeling around the baseboards. The room was in need of a very deep clean and paint touch up. -The pool was closed, due to something with the health dept - front desk womens accent made it difficult for me to completely understand what she said. -The breakfast was ok. Nice selection but not stocked well. I had to ask for cups for juice, also had to ask for coffee cups. Note the coffee came out of a machine that you could make fancy drinks from... but it was out of order (We walked to Beans & Brews across the street) -One morning there was throw up in the hall, took them at least an hour to clean it, I noted this as I walked past it 2X an hour apart. -Sadly I would not recommend nor stay at this location again

We have stayed several times at this motel. We appreciate the hot breakfast with eggs, potatoes, and breakfast meat. The beds and pillows are clean and comfortable. This time we enjoyed the indoor pool. The motel is an older one, which is most likely a challenge for the owners to keep up, but they and the staff are work to make the stay pleasant for their guests.

Room #119 had a TV that didn't work, nor did it's remote. The curtain wouldn't open and was taped to the window frame. There was left over soap residue left on the sink from the previous occupant. Rust and missing paint around the door frame and mold in the corners of the bathroom. I've stayed at cleaner Super 8 hotels. I can't believe this hotel uses the "Best Western" name. Don't waste your money

The staff at this hotel is what makes it a place you want to keep extending your stay. Mafi? Not sure how you spell hey name but they work so hard they're there in the morning and they are there at night. It's comforting knowing they know who's at their facility.

I was just passing through Salt Lake on my way to the Mojave Desert from Spokane. Perfectly fine for a brief overnighter to get rested and continue on. The property is located right next to a freeway making it easy to find and access. Plenty of eat-out locations within driving distance. Not in a busy downtown area which would make navigation difficult or challenging. I've stayed here 2-3 times before likewise passing through, but one time for a longer stay to see the city. It's an older property that could use some remodeling, but while looking a bit lived in, it's well maintained and clean. Elevator was not working this last time I was there. If you have mobility issues you should inquire about first floor availability. The rooms facing the north look onto a very brightly lit parking lot. The blackout screen blocks glare effectively. Courteous staff. This will continue to be my go-to choice when passing through Salt Lake.

Let's just say you don't always get what you pay for… it was the highest price hotel in that area by the freeways, but it too was as worn down, unprofessional, rude management, nothing fresh for breakfast and the “hot food” was cold and pre made crap and they shouldn't have even charged more than $50/night !?!?! Then they Made us charge an additional $150 for a ridiculous deposit when nothing of the sort was ever mentioned on their website?!?

i noticed there is alot of homeless people that give these people a hard time but the hispanic guy deals with the people in a professional way, keeping this hotel family firendly Good job frontdesk…..

Not a super bad hotel, however they were going through renovations and the elevator didn't work. We had to carry our luggage up flights of stairs. The breakfast was ok... potatoes and eggs were not fresh and there was cheese in the mini omelets which is not good for a lactose intolerant person. The room had no microwave and looked as though the renovations were not complete.

Worst Best Western ever stayed at. Room was shabby and doors didn't work (the front door was bent in the frame and wouldn't close without force, the closet door knob was just a hole). Bathroom dingy and stained, chipped walls, visible mildew and mold around the shower. Floors not cleaned thoroughly. No pillow cases on the pillows. The sheets were scratchy. Just terrible quality for a Best Western. We were very disappointed.

This hotel needs help. Things are run down. Elevator is broken and has been for months according to previous reviews. Room smelled like old stale smoke. It was adequately clean. No eggs at breakfast and sausage and bacon were steamed instead of fried. It's not in a desirable part of town

Overall stay was great, hotel not too far from the West Valley Mall and everything is close by. Also, there is not much noise at night and room was clean. Front desk service was very helpful and nice! Breakfast was great and hot!

Highly recommended!! The rooms were really clean and the housekeeping is great. I've been traveling to West Valley for 2 years now and i've always enjoyed my stay here. The overall experience was great!! The staff were very accommodating .

I had an amazing stay at the Best western West valley Inn. The staff was welcoming and helpful, the place was always clean, and the amenities were great. It's in a convenient location there are all the necessary things next to the hotel including a mall. The breakfast was really nice. For the price, it's definitely worth it. I highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This BW was safe and clean. Although small, it had a great breakfast. I felt safe in the parking lot at night and the staff was very friendly on all shifts. I parked my RV in the back parking lot and we watched fireworks at night.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. Our room had no privacy screen to pull down so everyone could see into our room. The hotel front desk employee brought us an extra blanket so we could hang it up and she was very sympathetic about our situation. There was no microwave in the room, they only put decaf in the room, the tv never worked, the bathroom fan was hanging down and being held by one screw and the elevator was broken. The only positive I can say is that they allow dogs, have hard floors instead of carpet and the dog relief area is grass.

Hotel seems like they are in some sort of transition. Several things not working. Staff not dressing in any uniform or using nanetags eating in front of guests at breakfast. No professional. Pool was closed due to chemical problems. Elevator was broken for hours, we had to haul our luggage down the stairs. We tried to call the front desk 3 times ,phone did not work properly.. My trust in Best Western in they are no longer Best,

Upon checking in the staff gave us a bad room with broken bathroom door. I was with family and can't use that room. Upon request they changed the room. In the middle of the night there were people making too much noise just outside of our room. Then there was knocking on my room for a while. I choose not to open the door. Kids were scared a lot. In the morning I smell weed in the walkway of 2nd fl. On the breakfast table I realized that there are homeless people staying and having breakfast in the Hotel. Everything is explained, the weed smell, the knocking on the doors and the non functional hot-tub and pool amenities of hotel.

This hotel chain usually has a nice breakfast and amenities such as pool and hot tub, yet both were closed "for maintenance"? This was Not related to us at check in. It was the main reason I chose this pricey hotel, felt like I've been taken. Breakfast buffet was missing key hot items listed on the menu board that very morning! Limited other selections on the breakfast bar.

Water pressure sucked and there was so much noise at night my kids woke up multiple times also noone refilled the breakfast station after everything was gone by the time we went to breakfast around 7 30am

The good about this place was that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The reason I gave it a poor rating is that the TV didn't work, the manager was out of town and no one on duty could get it to work. They advertised a hot breakfast (we've been staying at Best Westerns this winter and have actually enjoyed the motel breakfasts). We found that much of the “hot” food was cold. They were out of 2 toppings for building your own burrito and the tortillas were cold. There was no cream cheese for a bagel and to top it off, AND there was no hot water for tea or caffeinated tea bags. What could have been an enjoyable breakfast was barely edible. Best Westerns have been consistently good for us, so, for a Best Western this one missed the mark. Even so, it was still better than some that we stated in before we started using Best Western.

For a Best Western Chain hotel, this hotel is like a super 8. We didn't get a good night sleep. Bed was so uncomfortable. Could feel the springs and hear the springs popping. Unfriendly staff. No microwave anywhere. No orange juice, no hot chocolate, no coffee, no hot water in morning for breakfast nor for guest in lobby. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

If you are on a budget, this place works because every staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was basic but enough that you won't go hungry. However, the room facilities need updating. For example, the bathtub was stained inside while the outside was peeling.

This hotel was not.what I was expecting the check in host was rude and not very welcoming at 5:30 in the morning it sounded like there were children running down the hallway that woke up our baby and the sound of then preparing for breakfast was extremely loud

In a remodel process. First put a room with no shower curtain or towels. Dirty floors and sheet rock dust covered everything. Front desk did their very best rectify the situation but owners left everything to be desired. Required a $100.00 security deposit. Ludicrous based on the poor shape of both rooms!

Chose this hotel due to its close proximity to the Maverik Center for an Alan Parsons Project concert. Definitely not a 5 Star hotel … bud the room was very clean and the bed very comfortable … all I expected or wanted for a two night stay. What makes this hotel so exceptional is the staff … the politest and friendliest staff I have ever experienced … from the General Manger Wila to all the desk personnel Nimo, Tupu, & Mafi. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This hotel is disgusting, the floors were stained, gross. The walls in the room were dirty and had stuff on them, the bathtub was broken, the sink faucets were broken loose. Hot water worked half ass. Boogers were on bathroom door. My fitted sheets were stained. I believe people live here long term. Please note that The Staff was very nice and the lady a check in was very sweet and friendly

I like the location of this hotel. I have stayed two times here because of the location. Both times I was here I was Destin for different locations in the Slat Lake area and this location gave me the most direct route to my objective.

This was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. Cockroaches, broken furniture and stains on the carpet. The floors have probably never been cleaned. I was afraid to sleep for fear that bugs would crawl on me. The staff did not seem surprised at all that we did not stay for our full time there. Never ever ever will I go there again. Worst BW experience I have ever had. I'm not paying $140 a night to sleep with roaches thank you very much .

The carpet was so dirty it was stained it was threadbare would not walk on it with my bare feet The tile in front of the sink and in the bathroom was cracked cracked dirty sticky the floor in spots was spongy. The shower was so dark it was like taking a shower and a cave.

Missing tv remote, non smoking rooms are smokers paradise. My room stunk. Breakfast is gross. Staff doesn't care. Appliances are neglected. Mattress was worn out and sagged. Stay here at your own risk. Maybe your experience will be better than mine

Not a flashy hotel, but if you need a clean, convenient, well managed place to lodge in SLC as you make your way elsewhere you can't go wrong here. The price was more than fair. Location is convenient to shopping for errands and nearby dining (just across the street). If you have a larger vehicle and arrive late, you should drive to the back or the opposite side of the hotel for less-used parking spaces--no need to squeeze into a last remaining spot.

This is the grossest best western I've ever stayed in. Other than the bed, I didn't really want to touch anything. Stains all over floor, terrible odor, tile in the floor coming up, faucets not secured to the counter, and just all around disgusting.

This location is lacking in hospitality, service and professionalism. Homeless sleep in parking lot, Noise stopped at 2:20 AM, started again at 4:11 AM. Dog hair and flea dirt on white fitted sheet, snickers bar very old and peanuts grey, no microwave, Owner/manager wants cash over credit card, he is more concerned about making money, rather than quality customer service and care. Check it over before you stay here.Happy Travels everyone.

As a family vacation, we decided to visit Salt Lake City Utah and LOVED IT. BestWestern made it so easy to access near by attractions. My kids loved the room and staff assistance.They provided us with city attractions and directions. Thank you for making our vacation a memorable experience.

The walls on the room were filthy as was the lounge chair. The crevices of the chair had candy wrappers from someone who previously stayed there. The walls had some sort of liquid stain along with the ceiling. The carpets had holes or burns along with red and black stains. Made you not want to walk on it. We kept our shoes on all the time.

You cannot get a good night sleep here, 3:30 am the backup alarms of at least 1 vehicle started (construction) and lasted until I got up and left! It was horrible:-( Especially when I did not get into room until midnight. Other than that it was comfortable. Breakfast was good but waffle maker (only 1) was a long wait.

This location of Best Western is unsatisfactory. We arrive to check in for our 1 night stay in a requested non smoking room. Desk clerk had a nice demeanor but told us they had to charge us an $100 incidental fee because it's a non smoking building. We don't smoke and requested a non smoking room. This fee was not disclosed on the website prior to making my reservation. Paying $235 for a total of 12hr stay I find unacceptable. The desk clerk told me it would be placed back in my account in 5-10 business days. Also there was no hot water in the shower. Basic amenities and charging to much for too little offered. Definately a no.

Here's the problems we had staying here on 6-19-2022. No hot water the first night, no one told us about it. Jetted tub in suite did not work. Said they would send a maintenance guy to fix it, never showed up. TV remote batteries were dead. Cable was spotty at best constantly going in and out. Was charged twice for my room, luckily my bank stopped one of the charges. Front desk was apologetic but did nothing to solve our issues. Don't stay here.

This place is dirty. No blankets for our bed. We had to run to Walmart to buy a blanket for our bed. Cigarette burns in the floor, fingernail on the counter, stains on the carpet. Horrible place to stay.

I picked this hotel because it was not far from the places I would be attending while in SLC. The gentleman at the front desk was not very pleasant upon my arrival. When I called down to the front desk an hour later to ask why the wifi wasnt working no one answered (or returned my call). The next person I spoke to upfront was not pleasant when I asked about receiving water for Rewards members. My room was nice and spacious. It did seem they had partially remodeled it . The shower head wasn't very pliable. I made it work though. The night manager on Sunday night 5/15 was so sweet and pleasant. I wish she was there the whole time. She was welcoming and tried to help where she could. Breakfast was good. There are hot options like cheese omelets and potatoes. I always love the added touch of make your own waffle. Overall my experience was about a 6/10. I could possibly go back, but would seek other options first.

We came here to stay on a road trip to Colorado and were dissatisfied with the cleanliness of the room. When we arrived, it was late and we had just driven 12+ hours to get there and even in our tired state we were grossed out by the state of the room. The hot tub was out of service (which isn't a huge deal, as we were really only there to sleep). The elevator took an extremely long time to come, but it safely got us and our belongings up to the second floor. Once in our room, we turned the lights on and we're disappointed so see that the carpets appeared to have never been cleaned (covered in stains and dirt), the furniture and walls were covered in scrapes and marks and damages, the tiles in the bathroom floor were cracked and uneven, there was something that appeared to be poop on the toilet seat that we had to clean off, and there was dust on the phone and lamps. The clock didn't work and was flashing the wrong time. The tv worked, but appeared to be taped together on one side. Upon closer inspection of the beds, we found all the linens were stained at best and disgustingly dirty at worst. There were blood stains and hair under the covers when we pulled them back. When you sat into he edge of the bed, you basically just fell off as it depressed that severely and the drawer on the night stand wouldn't stay closed, meaning when I laid in the bed and rolled toward the edge that didn't exist, I was rolling into the corner of the drawer. I wanted to change rooms but everyone was exhausted so we decided to just deal with it in the morning and I slept on my personal blanket and pillow. The next morning we asked the front desk to change our sheets and clean the room while we were gone as they were dirty and stained and the lady was kind and agreed. When we returned the room looked just as bad as when we had left; the only thing that changed was that they made the beds with the same sheets. The sheets were still wrinkled and stained and dirty and you could tell by the wrinkles in the pillows and sheets that they were the same. I can't say for sure that it was from the hotel, but my siblings both ended up with bites all over them after the first night. We were scheduled to come back through SLC on the way home and stay at the same hotel, but we opted not to as the conditions were so poor. Still waiting to hear back from Best Western and hoping they will at least give us a refund for the night we didn't stay on the way back. Also, I heard that this location is under new management so maybe (hopefully) it is changing for the better and these issues will be resolved shortly. Until they do, I would not recommend staying here to anyone. While I understand that hotel rooms get a lot of thoroughfare and wouldn't have minded scratches in the furniture and walls and cosmetic issues, cleanliness is not something I am willing to compromise on and it should be the bare minimum expectation in a hotel room.

Our visit to this hotel was for a sad reason. We had to drive 12 hours to get there and needed the amenities and tub to unwind. All of those things were broken. Filthy room with a queen instead of a king size bed, and extremely unhelpful staff.

The first room we got smelled like smoke. We had to fight to get a different room. Then the second room was disgustingly dirty. The sheets were gross, there was hair on the floor, dirt all over the floor, and the room door didn't lock!!!! We've never felt so uncomfortable in a hotel.

Great prices, unprofessional staff. I enjoyed my 1st stay , then booked for another stay at this location and it was the complete opposite. I'd like problem resolved before returning there, if ever returning

It was a horrible experience. Dirty. Hot tub didn't work. No quality food service. Not an expected best western. You get charged for the room as you check in rather than at end of stay. I would never stay at this location ever again. Property grounds was dirty, litter everywhere.

It is in a good location for what I needed to do, it is also good for people getting right off the 215. Restaurants are really close and if we would've stayed longer would have tried those restaurants out.

PLEASE READ!!! BED BUGS!!! I would not even give this motel a single star! It is horrible. We had to come to town so that I could have surgery and asked for and were declined a medical rate. We paid a great deal to stay here and expected it to be as nice as previous BW hotels. However, it was anything but nice. The front desk clerk was rude from the moment we checked in. We rented a wheelchair accessible room with a roll-in shower and it wasn't anything like the website pictures. There was barely enough room to maneuver a wheelchair and even then I was rubbing on doorways, walls, and the bed to try and get around. The shower looked very cheaply made and was not wide enough to fit a wheelchair so water got all over the floor. The phone in the room had about half of the buttons missing and wasn't even connected to a phone line. The room itself was not very clean and the bed cleanliness was the worst! We noticed little blood/rust colored stains on the bed sheets, which apparently is a sign of BED BUGS!! Sure enough, I woke up to go to the bathroom and one was crawling on me! Come to find out it is infested! I thought it was strange that the mattress was upside down… maybe that's why? Bars from the frame of the bed stuck out and it was easy to bang your shins on. The box springs or something was broken causing us to roll right into a sunken area in the middle of the bed. The image quality of the TV looked fake and very poor. The heater vent was FILTHY and had caked on debris throughout. The closet door wouldn't shut properly and the tile floor was uneven. The carpet in the halls looked filthy and like it had never been cleaned. The bathroom faintly smelt like sewer. The walls were super thin so we heard everything above and around us. The entire area seemed rather unsafe and there were questionable characters hanging out near the motel. This was BY FAR, the WORST motel I have EVER stayed at! I would not recommend to ANYONE and we will NEVER go back!!!

An unacceptable property in many ways. My room had no desk chair, no hair dryer, and there were none available according to staff. Bathroom door wouldn't close, some lights didn't work, and other details were problematic. Local owners don't appear to understand their customers or care.

At first glance, you think it is a nice hotel by the looks of it from the out side. Once we got into our room, there were no blanket on the bed. I went to the front desk and asked for a blanket, the front desk person said that that room does not have one. Looking around, there were stains on the floor, torn screen looking out side, cigarette burns on the carpet, finger nail clippings near the coffee pot. Gross. Do not stay here.

My room was under construction and hazardous unfinished flooring. The bedding and room were filthy and my shower consisted of watching black junk ooze out from between the tub and wall! I showed them pictures and they put me in a different room...but rented the hazardous room to someone else that night!! They still are charging full price per night!!

I had a reservation for 7 nights. The TV had no signal. When I reported it, I was not given any other options. I was not offered a different room nor were there any plans or attempts to fix it. Instead, I was told I would receive 10% off my stay, which I did NOT receive. The fire alarm or smoke detector in the hall was malfunctioning and it chirped loudly all day and night for the first 3 nights and 4 days. I couldn't sleep and I didn't even have the option to drown it out with the TV. The front desk staff had visitors late at night, almost every night, and they shouted and laughed loudly for hours on end. I could hear them well enough to actually follow their conversation, especially in my silent room with no TV. My room key expired every day at 11:00am. The staff knew I had a 7 night reservation, yet still only synced the key for 1 day at a time. On the 3rd day I asked about it and it was finally synced for 3 days, and still expired the day before my reservation ended. There were no bags in any of the pet waste bag dispensers for the entire duration of my stay. The parking lot was occupied by drunks, beggars, and other unsavory types of people at all hours of the day and night. I travel for a living and stay in many hotels as a result. This was hands down the single worst hotel experience I've ever had. You couldn't even pay me to stay at a Best Western ever again.

Made reservation on Best Westerns 800 number. Upon arrival at Hotel, we were informed that the tub in the room we booked was inoperable, and we could still stay in it at a reduced rate. While taking our luggage to our room on the 3rd level, we had some items fall off the cart without us noticing until we were at our room. We immediately returned the cart and looked for the items along the way and in our vehicle. Asked the front desk about it and asked if they could review the cameras and see when, where, and possibly who had picked them up. We were told that we would need to check in the morning because no one but the manager had access to the cameras. I checked in the morning and was told that the manager was not in, still. Breakfast the next morning had several machines inoperable and no eggs either. Upon checkout, we were charged the original amount on a card that isn't ours. Upon questioning, this was again told that this was only possible to be done by the manager. The manager was supposed to be in around 4, so I stopped back at the hotel to correct the problem and have the manager check cameras for the lost items. The manager again was not in, but the front desk was able to correct the charges onto the correct card and after a few minutes, was also able to correct the amount that we were quoted for the room

Dirty hotel. Carpets in hallway and rooms are stained. Smells weird. Had a broken chair in our room. Had stained sheets when down and told them they sent up new set those also had stains. They didn't try to accommodate to help with all the problems. But they were friendly. And wanted a simple quick fix. We usually love best westerns but this is the worst one I've stayed at.

“Great and satisfy hotel. Really clean, nice furniture, breakfast really good tasted and fresh, room are clean And smell good, front desk is friendly and always happy, smile. Swimming pool is clean. Had a great stay. Will come back to this location for sure and forever. Recommend to anyone looking for a great and comfortable hotel that respects your privacy.

If you want to stay close to the airport, this is the place. We appreciate the great hospitality! All of the staff were friendly and very helpful especially Rete, Uila and Mafi. This a very basic hotel, not modern or fancy but it has all that you need. Rooms were a perfect size, very clean and service was good. Housekeeping were also very helpful by providing what we needed during our stay. Plenty restaurant and shopping center on site too!! It is a great place to stay before or after a flight. You won't be disappointed.

Had a great time staying here. Staff are trained well and were very helpful with me and my wife whenever we need something or help! If you ever get to visit Utah a must book with these guys! MAHALO:))

This was the worst best western I have ever stayed in. We are diamond reward members and stay in many best westerns every month. This best western was horrible. To name a few things. At least 10 stains on the sheets when I went to get into bed. Furniture was very damaged. Picture frame falling apart. Carpet very stained. Dirty floors. Did not even look like the room was cleaned before we got there. Mold in bathroom. Cigarette butts all over out front. Screens falling off the windows broken screens. This is to just name a few. I have pictures if needed. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel had shady people staying there. Whirlpool tub did not work. Hotel ran out of toilet paper. Only gave us one key and would not give us another. The pool and gym where either out of order or just closed for no reason. This was a short close get away. But will not stay here again.

They didn't even have a blanket for the bed. They said they didn't have any, REALLY!!! We had to go to Walmart to buy one for our stay. No hair dryer in the room as stated. 2 tiles in the bathroom area were loose so it was a safety hazard for tripping or stubbing you toe. The shower was a 4 X 4 box with the shower head up so high and NOT adjustable that you had to stand on the wall, literally to have the water even hit you and then it was on top of your head. So ladies, if you don't want your hair wet, don't take a shower. The juice at breakfast was so watered down it was not even flavored water. And the coffee was the same . So week it was tinted water. No creamer. They didn't have any of that either. Have they ever heard of Walmart to buy creamer for their guests, and GO BUY BLANKETS for the rooms.

The in room Coffee machine was broken and not replaced by staff, the Coffee machine in the kitchen was not working our stay was for 3 days the hotel advertised a full breakfast it was more like a continental breakfast then a full breakfast.

This is a rundown, smelly in poor condition hotel. Avoid at all costs. You have to walk through a cloud of smoke to walk in the hotel. The rooms don't have Towels or soap. Stay somewhere, anywhere else.

My roon was not even Furnish no chaired for the best and no phone to call front desk and kept going down to the front desk just to ask quick questions like what's the pass word and why does the 3 floor smelled. So I left this place and requested a refund on the room and tried to check out at 3 but ended check out an hour because the front desk person was asleep for an hour. 4 different residence where waiting beside me. When the staff woken up he said he collapsed and ask him should call for medical attention. He declined from my experience he just fell asleep and was embarrass that he got caught sleeping on the job! Worst place to be at ended up stay at the Bestwestern by the Air Port. You carry the name of Bestwestern as a Diamond member this place is not the Standard of BW. Shame on the owners of this hotel!!! Take care of your rooms, smell, furnished the rooms or check before checking me in to an unfurnished room!!!! So frustrating. Do better like fast before you lose all your customers!!! And them upon trying to get a refund your front desk person that was sleeping on the job. Chanfe me more then reversed the charges. So unprofessional on all ends!!!!

Dirty and basic. Nothing here is working properly. I've stayed at better Motel 6's then this. Don't waste your time or money. No clock, microwave, hair dryer, soap. Paid extra for a jacuzzi tub that didn't work and staff knew this when they booked the room. Freaking ridiculous. Will never stay here again

Don't be fooled by the lobby and exterior which appear clean and acceptable. This was by far the worst hotel room I have ever stepped foot in. We stay in hotels about 20 times a year for youth hockey, and are LOYAL Best Western customers. Upon check-in the front desk informed me that the key card was broken for our room so we would have to be let in manually, ok I can handle that. Then we were told it was a room with no TV. Ok fine, we are just sleeping. Then we walked in...horrifying. Holes in the walls, furniture, bed sheets (not kidding), one bed wasn't even on a frame. I am kicking myself for not taking pictures as proof, but in my hurry to get my family the heck outta there I didn't. Never, ever, again.

My check in was great! My room/breakfast... Not so much. No TV remote in my room, the phone had no chord, there was mold in the shower and the breakfast was not ready and OLD. Very sad for a Best Western experience

We stayed for 1 night for our 1 year anniversary and were very disappointed with our service and the room. When we go to the room the door was left open and did not latch shut properly. The TV did not work, and the floor was stained and had lots of crumbs on it. The desk surface was not fully wiped down and neither was the counter in the bathroom. The lady at the desk seemed to care more about what was on her cell phone than our predicament and told us we could check out and get a refund instead of providing any other options. We asked if we could get a discount or something for the inconvenience, but was told the manager was the only one who could do that and that the manager would be in the next morning. We got the room with the whirl pool tub and they had no comparable options and she did not offer us anything. We also did not have a privacy sign for the door and she told us to just make sure the top was latched, and that no one would try to come in to our room, but someone did try to open the door while we were in the tub. It was not relaxing at all. We stayed the night because we had driven for 10 hours and were exhausted but we found ants all over our stuff in the morning and the shower head placement was unusable. We went to try and speak to the manager in the morning but were told he was not in till Monday as he was at a conference and that he would give us a call on when he got back. He never called us on Monday. We will never stay here again.

Ran out of blankets we needed 1 Xtra for my son and they didn't have any! Disgusting breakfast,boiled eggs sitting in water. Dirty towels and sheets on the bed had shoe scuff marks. Only 1 door to enter and exit.

The hotel is very conveniently located, but the staff would rather be on their phones than helping guests. Most questions were answered with "Oh, I don't know". No channels on the TV, swimming pool and hot tub "out of order", but no one knew why. Breakfast was poorly supplied.

This place is the worst! Uncaring and rude staff, filthy rooms and motel interior, inedible breakfast, feeling unsafe, room amenities not working or missing, noisy. Stay elsewhere you will thank yourself

Upon check in the front desk staff was nice enough, but upon walking into an open room there was an empty box of crown royal on the dresser, dirt on the bed, and the floor smelled of smoke. Naturally asked for another room; however, the recoded key did not allow entry so felt it best to just not stay the night and left the hotel without staying. The hotel refused to refund my stay even though I had only booked it 15 minutes prior to arrival, and we were never offered a clean room to stay in. Pretty surprised as my previous experiences with Best Western were positive.

Overall pleasent appearance of the hotel did not match the stay. My suite was a disaster, no microwave, desk chair, missing towels and wash clothes, no coffee, only a sheet on the bed. Staff did not remedy

If I could give a "0" I would. Had nothing but issues with room. Key wasn't working and never did get it keyed correctly. Was having issues...but not being able to enter/leave was very inconvenient. No new room to be moved to and their solution was the front desk would have to let us into room. Not enough towels and face cloths. We were told they ran out of clean towels, really! When we finally received additional face cloths it was so disgusting it looked like they used it as a cleaning cloth. No blankets on the bed in one of our rooms. TV with didn't work or it was spotty. Housekeeping knocked on the door and asked us to leave door open when we left so they could get in.....WOW! Breakfast was nasty. Coffee machine and juice machine wasn't working. The boiled eggs were floating in waster and the sausage was plain disgusting! Good thing McDonald's was around the corner. Front desk staff were very pleasant with all the issues because our rooms weren't the only one who were having issues accessing their rooms.

I didn't really enjoy my stay here. I was greeted upon checking in with "credit card and ID" and nothing else until my key was handed to me. I had to ask the location and floor the room was on. There were three towels, one each washcloth, hand towel, and bath towel. The Wi-Fi sucked. There were police related issues going on at night outside the hotel. A person above me was apparently jumping on the floor at midnight. The 'hot breakfast' was warmed-up boiled eggs and warmed-up microwave breakfast sausage, and the coffee was bad. At checkout, I was awknowleged as a person and wished a safe trip; this was the highlight of my stay.

Staff nice and friendly but hotel quality poor. Who has no tea bags, out of expresso coffee for machine, cloudy pool ( then handwritten sign it was closed), no washcloths, 1 hand towel, 2 bath towel, blood on shower curtain, cracked tiles on floor with missing grout, smoke free facility with smell of cigarette smoke in room (when I reported I got a shrug and “yeah people don't follow the rules”), missing microwave, auto lights that go on when you roll over and wake you , noise problem with unanswered front desk calls, screws missing from swing arm security lock (had to ask twice for repair), lousy breakfast with poor options and lazy staff who shrugs when asked question. It misses the mark for a BW property. Better to charge a few $$ more per night and bring it up a rung on quality and comfort. Bring same quality to rooms that are represented in lobby and common areas. Could be a great place with infusion of $$$$

Warning - rooms were not clean, nor furnished with expected amenities - such as towels and bed cover. Stay here only if you have too. There are other hotel chains in same area that looked newer and nicer.

We booked a pet friendly room and did not mind that the floor was laminate (actually felt cleaner than carpeting ). The shower and toilet room were not dirty but the corners needed attention. The closet doors were chipped and didn't close completely. The issues were the following: Not a single towel or washcloth. When we asked they gave us towels and apologized. Evidently, there had been a large group of young people who left the same day we arrived, and the staff were still washing and drying towels and linens. No facial tissues. Staff said they were completely out but a delivery might come very soon. There was TP and one extra roll. No shampoo or soap but staff gave us one when we asked for the towels. No hair dryer (maybe the kids took it?) but we don't use a hair dryer so I didn't bother to ask for one. No carafe for the coffee maker. No cups either. No creamer. No sugar. We didn't ask for any after the request for tissues. One drinking glass. No microwave although the website says there's one. There was a refrigerator that appeared clean. One of the lamp USB plugs didn't work. Not a piece of artwork on any wall. The furniture looked okay with normal wear and tear. The mattress was firm but comfortable. Pillows were fine. The reading chair was downright hard. Desk chair was better. No TV signal. My husband, who prefers not to ask for help, tinkered with it. He finally pulled the furniture away from the wall and discovered the HDMI cable laying on the floor unconnected to the TV. Plugged it in. Tinkered some more. TV and Direct TV went through self check, and eventually success!

We check in at around 8:30 p.m. on a Friday night. There was a long line in the lobby. None of the rm keys worked, so the concierge had to let everyone in individually. She was the only person on. The rm she took me to on the 2nd fl. was already occupied. The next rm she took me to on the 1st fl. smelled like smoke, the floors were sticky and there was only a flimsy sheet on the bed with a runner at the foot. However, we were exhausted, and there were no other choices. She told us that a 3rd party company had double booked the rooms! A BW employee tried to enter our rm at 1:00 a.m. with guests. The grab and go breakfast was awful. I told the front desk we were leaving at 8:00 a.m., and then received a call at 11:00 a.m. asking if we left! Apparently, they had never changed my reservation from the first room to the second room. We travel a lot, and for what we paid, it was one of the worst experiences we have ever had. I would avoid staying here if you can. I typically stay at BW hotels, and have a good experience. I hope this is an anomaly.

Room was dirty upon check-in. Makeup on sheets, blood on shower curtain, housekeeping entered our room while we were gone and didn't bother making sure our door closed, smoke alarm had a plastic bag wrapped around it, stains on the carpet. When we told them about the dirty room, the main housekeeping lady asked to see and apologized and came back with all clean sheets and other items, The lady responsible for our floor wasn't very happy that she got told on and had an attitude while changing the pillow cases and cleaning up. A/C would turn on for 2 minutes and then turn off for another 2 and it was super loud. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!

there was no keys for any rooms ,told there was a full breakfast no breakfast, no wash cloth ,hand towels asked for a printed receipt said she couldn't waiting for toner, said she would email one which she didn't had to call 13 hours for the email to be sent . The only person there that really worked was Linda James

I booked our stay 3 weeks out and I made sure to book my room with the jetted tub. I go to check in and I'm told that I did not book that room, that I booked a standard room. I showed the lady at the front the reservation on my phone and it said, “WITH JETTED TUB”! She said, “Oh well then I don't know. All of our rooms are booked”. I couldn't cancel or I would have been charged so we were forced to stay! THE KEYS DONT WORK IN THE ENTIRE BUILDING!! So we have to have someone come and unlock our room whenever we leave! Also, check out tile is 11am. The people who stayed before us were just leaving at 4pm when I was trying to check in. I was told our room was being cleaned. There was still food in the fridge so that didn't get touched. The room is supposed to be non-smoking. CLEARLY it's not! Don't every stay here!! What a joke!

Really dirty and gross, rough part of town, no breakfast, no coffee maker. Stained towels, broken fitness room equipment. ANYTHING would be better than this place, I don't know how it has a Best Western name. Lumpy mashed potato beds.

Took 20 min before someone arrived to check in desk. Staff didn't know how to do anything and had to call his manager several times. Claimed the room was dirty and had the wrong bed size, took another 20 min to finally get the room we reserved, and then the computers were broken so we didn't get a key to our room. We had to wait for someone at the front desk to unlock our room every time we wanted to get in. Our room had stained furniture, and the fridge and microwave were not there as promised. I won't be staying at best western ever again.

Terrible place. Dirty and not worth the money at all. We did not feel comfortable in the area and/or leaving our things in the room. We used points and what a waste. We didn't even have a garbage can in the room.

This place was the worst place we have ever stayed in. Keys did not work repeatedly, TV did not work upon arrival, not enough towels for even the amount of guests (3) and none available. No change for the laundry. No breakfast as advertised, dirty floors everywhere, trash piled everywhere. Rude staff.

No breakfast even though it is advertised. We were told they are going to get breakfast , but don't have it yet. I booked back in April, and the website said breakfast. Web site still says they have breakfast today. Door to room was open when we arrived, a pile of clothes and bags were on the floor in the hallway a few doors down, no wash cloths or hand towels, roach on alarm clock, door handle to closet was on the counter, furniture in poor condition. Maintenance came right away and fixed the door handle and we were given additional towels and a different room right away. The carpet was pretty dirty and the AC was louder than I expected in the new room, and there was no hair dryer. Also, dont expect your room key card to work. Everytime we left our room, we had to have the key card reset in order to get in, then, get them set again because they still didnt work when we got to our room. I have always been able to count on Best Western in the past. Staff was very nice and did thier best. Thank you staff!

This was the worse Best Western hotel ever! As a BW Rewards member and cardholder, this was just unacceptable to me to carry the name brand. We found out afterwards that it was recently a La Quinta hotel and repairs were being done to get it up to BW standards. That is questionable! Two hours out from the hotel, we were called and told that our room was not going to be useable - there had been a flood (hot tub) which had taken out many of the rooms. This is after already driving 5-6 hours up from Las Vegas, with two grandkids, and coming for a 3-night stay at the hotel. AND they had no other room to move us into, nor could they put us in another BW hotel. Found that hard to believe since I could bring them up online. After frantically checking around for other hotels, we were called again and said that the damage was not as originally thought, and that all would be well. And that Vijay Dandapani (General Manager and part owner, he told us) said he would also give us 13,700 BW points for the inconvenience and worries. But all of this was NOT TRUE!! Check-in was sloppy, no real info given (breakfast, wifi, etc). Five minutes after entering the room, our 3 yr old granddaughter tripped on the metal stripping where nails/screws were sticking up. Thankfully she just bruised her toes with no cuts or blood, just lots of tears There had been carpeting previously - but when new flooring was put in, there had been no effort to account for the different levels between the ceramic tile and the laminated wood floor. The stripping did not even cover the edges of the tile. The tile stuck up about a good 1/4 to 1/2 inches, causing a tripping and safety hazard. I immediately went to the desk and spoke with Linda, who then gave me a towel to cover the area for now, with the promise that it would be fixed the next day. we only were given 2 bath towels, one hand towel, and a washcloth for the four of us (being told they were way behind on laundry. ???) We came back from our outing the next afternoon - our key did not work and the floor was still not fixed. Plus we now have a leaking faucet valve under the bathroom sink. I went back to the desk and this time found Vijay who then came to the room to see what I was talking about. Again, the promised of getting it all fixed and taken care of, as well as reminding him of the extra points. So, maybe on Day 3? Found out that breakfast was a pick-up only deal, with no options given. We were given blueberry bagels (not a favorite of ours), yogurt, juice, and a piece of fruit for each of us. This never varied during our stay - same thing each morning. Off again on another outing, to come back to our key not working again. We were told that it should have been mentioned that their system was not working properly and that they had to be renewed daily. It was NOT told to us the first night. Also, Linda told us that the stripping was repaired. Again, it was NOT. Seems that there had been a misunderstanding about the location (even though Vijay, the manager, had been shown where), and that another stripping was repaired instead. Boggles the mind! So I showed Linda the exact spot and she got the maintenance man right away to work the problem (this is from 8:30-9:00pm, when the kids needed to get to bed). While we appreciated the work the guy did (didn't catch the name), but this was stuff that should have been done earlier, even BEFORE renting out the room. The leaky valve under the sink was still an issue - we were given a bucket to catch the water. The kids did use the pool - - I found it to be quite cloudy and not clean-looking, however, and had my doubts - - but they were really looking forward to it, so we allowed them a short period of time to enjoy it. In summary,...I would not recommend this hotel to anyone for at least a year, or until they can get their repairs under control. Many broken promises! We never DID receive those extra points, nor did we get the $20 certificate that was Best Western's promotion this summer. While it may have been a convenient location to all that we had planned to do, and a reasonable price (or so we thought at that time), I really wished that I had gone to another BW hotel and paid a bit more for some better accommodations. This was a totally frustrating stay and we will be sure to stay away in the future, even though Vijay had said he could give us a better room and service on our next stay if we let him know when we would be arriving. I think this would have been another broken promise as when I did the review survey for the hotel, another person responded with the title of General Manager. It sounds as though Vijay is no longer there???? Just beware!

We won't be staying here again, no matter the price. The room was gross. There was a film on the carpet and stuff stuck to our feet. There were holes punched in some of the furniture. The door locks were out for days and each guest had to be escorted to their room by the front desk manager each time.

Worst hotel I've stayed in a while, the manager was nice enough but the other staff was nasty and rude. In one instance we had to get the worker (since the key cards weren't working any of our 4 night stay) to open our door and she was complaining the whole time about having to keep going up and opening our doors saying “I wish I could choke everyone who's walking in right now.” The indoor pool was nasty and had bugs inside of it, the hot tub wasn't working either. We were promised breakfast upon arrival but received nothing any of the days. There was bugs everywhere in the hotel, the cleaning staff seem to just like walking the cleaning caddy around and talking instead of cleaning, never once came to our room to take trash out or clean. Will never be staying here again.

Room was nasty. Stains all over chairs and bedding. They had no wash cloths...what hotel doesn't have wash cloths. Been trying to get a refund for the 4hrs I was there and no response. I'll deal with customer service. “Joe” the counter guy was not helpful at all. Must not like his job.

Room not ready when we arrived. Was told there had been a flood. Was told key cards did not work and would not be ready until following morning. They ended up working. 3 different times during my stay someone attempted to enter my room. The first time I think was other guests they used a key card and were surprised there were people in the room and quickly closed the door. The next two times were In the middle of the night. The first time I heard the door open and the security latch bang when it caught the door. The second time in the night was just after 1 am. When I heard the door hit the latch again I got dressed to go see who was in the hall. I found the night clerk coming out of a different room. He told me he got a room service call and was trying to deliver a bottle of champagne and opened my door by mistake. The day clerk the following morning told me they do not offer that kind of service and did not know why he was trying to get into rooms. Was supposed to stay two nights. After not sleeping the first night checked out early

When I reserved this hotel, VeJay/ co-owner promised full brkfst..not even a pre-packaged sandwich was available. My room had dirty towels left in the closet, NO desk chair, No TV remote, Broken window, in room microwave needed an extension cord to plug it in...I had to request it!

Just don't bother. This hotel is falling apart and drug deals are being done in the parking lot. After the smoke filled room, the people screaming and throwing stuff from windows, we finally had enough when people kept trying to come into our room. We packed up at 1:00am to keep our daughter safe. I honestly can not believe this place carries the Best Western name.

The motel has free parking. My check in went slowly. My room (which did have free wi-fi) was poorly designed and awkward to move around in. There was a working table with no chair. There was an iron but no ironing board. I did get a good night's sleep but I did not receive my requested wake up call. COVID-19: Employees were not masked and there seemed to be no concern about the masking of customers.

My first stay here was good. This time I was surprised at the problems. There were no hand towels, no shampoo, no conditioner, no hairdryer, and no breakfast. Items were supposedly on back order, and the breakfast food truck did not come. The ice machine on the 3rd floor was inoperable.

The room was clean, comfortable and lacked any issues that might cause concern. We found a restaurant close by for take out. We spent a quiet night, ready to continue our trip. We are going to look for Best Western rooms first in our next outing!

Very unfriendly desk clerk who did not bother to greet us (I mean, just say hi) when we checked in. Breakfast to go was a disaster. We were told to bring our filled up breakfast list no later than 11 pm that night and we did! When we came down to the lobby at 8:15 am to pick up our breakfast, they were still "working on it" and when we got to our rooms, nothing that we had checked on the list was on the to go bags.

Sorted people hanging around, cars revving engines all hours, VERY NOISY GUESTS, and DO NOTHING Mgr and staff; But, you will get lots of smiles while blowing BS at you! If you want an enjoyable experience, STAY somewhere else!

Very inviting from the moment we entered the lobby. Darling little waiting area. Very clean. Upon check in, the children got to pick a treat from the snack center. VJ was very kind. Polite and informative. Even allowed us to stay longer in the pool since we checked in a little late. Exceptional, especially for the price.

We booked this room based on reviews and website description stating it had been renovated. Upon arrival to the lobby the distinct smell of cigarette smoke hit me. I over looked that and checked in, staff was great. In the elevator, there was a big sign that said this location was a 100% smoke free facility. There was trash left on the floor as well as debris/garbage in the hallway. Our room was on the third floor facing the freeway/roadway. Our carpet is disgusting, stained and looked as though it had not been vacuumed. The sheets/comforters had random stains. The tile floor in the bathroom was cracked and there was a clump of dark hair near the tub/shower. And the exit door is paper thin. We have two girls aged 15 and 13 who went to the car alone and were catcalled by another guest who was sitting at the entrance smoking. They ended up locking themselves in the car until their dad met them at the vehicle. We arrived at nearly 11 pm with kids, so did not have the ability to try and rectify any concerns with the staff, but we will never stay at this hotel again.

Great hotel. Really clean, nice furniture, staff is always happy. Swimming pool is clean. Had a great stay. Will come back to this location for sure. Recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel that respects your privacy.

Between the road noise on the north side of the hotel and some external roof flashing banging in the wind, I barely slept at all. I made it very clear that I was looking for a quiet room since I'm a light sleeper.

Last minute stop on the way to Colorado and it's a gem, the staff is amazing, they are doing their best with bagged breakfast I like that I can pick things off menu and the hot tub was so relaxing after a long car ride. If we need to stop on the way back we will. And my husband was happy to hear that he can stay when he travels for work they offer mine and refinery worker discounts BONUS!!

Love coming here for a staycation because of the jetted tub in the room and privacy. Although we tend to stay an extra night or two unless you schedule the night before they will not clean the room for you day of. Other than that I love it here.

I stay at hotels quit often and i must say Best western beats alll hands down . Fast ,friendly services .theres justo simething different about that location that made everything perfect. They have the nices ff ove ever met and are helpful and kind . i believe it was the manager lady Nellie she is truly a sweet lady . my room was nice clean and very big lots of space .great service and great qualuty . ....THANKS BEST WESTERN. !

My experience was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about the property and surrounding amenities. Hotel is very safe. Hotel is also very clean and uses measures to keep guests safe from getting sick.

Man the pics look great but don't be fooled. I sent my son there and most guys do not really pay attention to a little mess. So for him to say "he didn't even want to take his clothes off in there" says a great deal. This place is really dirty, they need to be reported. And don't bother to ask the staff for a room change, they really don't care. Shame on them, in this Covid environment, you would think they would try.

The location from the freeway was very easy to get to. The facility and rooms were very clean. We always stay with Best Western and always have a good experience. Would stay here again if we find ourselves in Salt Lake City. We will see you at the next Best Western.

This hotel seems nice and updated but don't let that fool you. Our room was dirty, the floor tile broken, walls were extremely thin with loud neighbors and people in the halls, front desk staff were unwelcoming, the pool fried our hair out and gave us burns on our eyes and skin. Management did however give us $20 discount because of the room being dirty. Yet insisted that the pool was just tested and that it was our problem to deal with for getting chemical burn. Don't stay here unless you want to deal with tweakers and very unwelcoming staff.

Toilet didn't flush, tub didn't drain, pool and hot tub closed, orderinn wont deliver to this motel even though menu is in room, microwave missing from room and they don't have a working microwave in the breakfast room, big globs of something stuck on flooring of room. Most of the staff doesn't speak English clearly. Lobby has been redone but the rest is very run down.

We booked a room to stay here March 11 after attending AEW Dynamite. The room we reserved on hotels.com was two queen beds with a fridge and microwave. The desk guy had no idea what he was doing, and ended up transferring us from our original room (shown on the receipt as 115) to 216, which had one king bed (for a married couple and two toddlers to sleep in together), and didn't have a fridge or a microwave. We made due with those inconveniences, but the morning of the 12th, the hits kept coming. The bath water didn't get as hot as I like, only ever getting toddler hot, and only filled the tiny tub halfway up before turning cold. Then, going to continental breakfast at 8:15 am, they were out of eggs and the bagel I got was hard as a rock. We also noticed when we looked at the ceiling that there was a plastic bag covering the smoke detector (pictured). I would not recommend this hotel for anyone attending events on short notice at the Maverik Center. Go further from the venue or pay a few extra bucks for one of the many better hotels nearby.

We had planned on staying here three nights but left after one. TH tile floors in the bathroom were so badly broken I was afraid I was going to cut my feet. The room was clean but very old and dated. The breakfast was poor by any standards. We passed an went and found a restaurant. The biggest problem was with the front desk billing. As a rewards member, we were using a free night voucher. In the end the hotel took our points AND billed my credit card. I have contacted the hotel several times but the manager is never in and has not returned my calls. I'm just out the $$$$.

The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Heating/air did not work. Had to put box fan in open window with no screen. Breakfast Items were no restocked after 830 on both Friday and Saturday. Friday breakfast should be until 9 and Saturday until 10. Asked for food and they said they were done. Treadmill was broken. Pool area unkept.

Me and a friend booked the hotel as it was close to an event we were attending, It stated online one king bed and a pull out sofa bed. When we arrived it was one king bed and a leather couch that didn't turn into bed. So we quickly got a refund as the room wasn't as described online and they didn't have a room to suit us. Secondly, now I'm not one judge but I think this particular hotel might support low income families with accommodation. There was a lot of young mothers and children which you could tell were from less fortunate upbringings, then add that to the hallway being filled with ghetto looking guys smelling of weed and playing rap music stood rite outside your room and you've got a very uncomfortable situation which added to why we got a refund and left. But I will add the staff we're nice and helpful. So yeh don't stay here it's not good.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights and it is was the cheaper rate when booking on bestwestern.com. The hotel is old and they have tried to make refurbishments to the rooms but the rooms smelled really bad (like moldy smoke). We had to open our window to vent the room out. We were also not impressed with the breakfast. It did have options but we were there on a Sunday and told that the breakfast would be served till 10 am. When we arrived nothing had been refilled and all the hot items were cold. I ate my food with a spoon there was no one around to help or refill any items. I finally went to the front desk to ask for things to be refilled but they just told me that they were all out of food and that they would have more the next day. We were pretty upset. The hotel is good for a cheap night but know that you are definitely getting what you pay for.

Located not far from the Interstate, not close to downtown area, not so many food options in the neighborhood, convenient free breakfast, short in staff, though those around pretty friendly. nicely decorated rooms

The location of this hotel is great. The breakfast is what you would expect. Really no complaints other than the fact that the check in desk, hallway leading to the elevator, and the elevator itself smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. With plaquards placed stating that this was a 100% smoke free facility, it was not an expected or welcome smell. One night the smell was so strong, my younger brother (who has asthma) and I opted for the stairs, and we were on the 3rd floor.

The only reason they get 2 stars was because the room was atleast clean. However, dont bother wasting money on the whirlpool rooms because all you will get is warm water in them. If you plan on doing laundry u better be willing to wait 3 hrs or more for the dryers to actually dry your clothes. Plus the washers are only half fill. Also if maintenance has to come to your room (like they did mine more than once) they dont want to fix anything in front of you.. Literally. If your going to get a basic room then it would work. I wont be going back. The one reason I went there to begin with was not at all what it should've been. Oh and also if they tell u they have truck parking (semi) be prepared to make a very tight turn when going onto the road for the motel..and turning around in the back parking lot will be fun..

Overall I would recommend this hotel, they've recently renovated it. Beds are super comfortable, they are pet friendly but it don't stink like pet pee. The only issue i have is there water is never hot enough to soak in a hot bath, it's barely over body temperature, we've stayed several times and it's always the same.

Required unadvertised $100 fee/deposit for "accidents." Staff didn't recognize "elite" Reward members and didn't offer 500 points or amenities pkg. Will not stay there again. Recently refurbished therefore rooms were exceptional

Speedy check in, first room had no heat and wires hanging from ceiling. Transfered to a new room, after waiting for the lady at the front desk to finish smoking. No problems transferring, lady was super nice. Transfered to a new room. Had to disinfect the toilet, urine left in it from previous or maids, sink in wet bar dripped all night, closet door was broke, no microwave in room, but in wandering around we found one in the breakfast room, used it without a light, lady at front desk didnt care to assist after seeing us wandering. Bed was comfy and clean, stains on the carpet, dirty place, dont pay the price thinking its a high doller Best Western, just stay at Motel 6 if this is the environment you exspect. Seedy people in and out. Good thing we used our free night voucher, would never pay $80+ a night for this place.

The beds were ok. I was in a hurry and tried out their breakfast and granted it was a cheap hotel...the eggs were awful, orange juice tastes like water and the coffee was disgusting. It would be nice if they served hot chocolate for kids. I won't come back.

Room was Clean, Check in was a Breeze, Loved this place and will be coming back for sure, i enjoyed a hot soak in the Hot Tub, It was so Clean and presentable, it was great staying here too i think everyone should come here

looking for a quick get away. I came across Best Western West Valley. Only a few minutes from home. I was surprised by the $. Newly remodeled rooms was unexpected wow! The suite had a jetted tub a king bed. We enjoyed the night. For a night out or work it's a up and coming place. The staff treated us like family warm and welcome. Remember one thing don't judge a book by its cover. Because this book surprised me. Thanks Best Western West Valley, UT. We'll be back soon.

Recent upgrades and a sincere staff is what returns us to this place fair for the price Riff Raff in the area may be a concern , however this is well lit and at no time did we feel unsafe see you again soon

we stay here every other month because we attend meetings at the maverick center, strike one, they ran out of eggs, strike 2, there was a water leak, strike 3, they now have nothing for kids to drink, and dang it was cold yesterday, they have a new coffee system which was so bad i asked the lady at the desk and she said well if you don't like it go to Starbucks. I wont go back!

The bed was so comfortable we came home and purchased a similar mattress.The staff was fantastic. The food was yummy. The pool was clean and the Jacuzzi was so relaxing. This is our go to hotel from now on when we visit family in the area.

The breakfast was ok, they ran out of eggs and the orange juice tastes like flavored water. The coffee was outstanding kind of surprised for a hotel it was pretty good . The staff was friendly. And the hotel was clean.

My husband and I checked into the hotel and had to be moved from room because light in bathroom didn't work. Not a big issue really....given another room. Second room had broken numerous broken tiles in the bathroom. Not only were tiles broken but the flooring underneath was rotten so the tiles gave way when you stepped into the bathroom. My husband almost fell several times. Told the front desk who said the tiles were being fixed but the room should have never been booked for guests.

Comfortable, clean, good breakfast. Nice area. We would stay again. Desk girl was very nice. She was very helpful. Lots of info on things to see. Coffee was good. Good variety for breakfast. Bed very comfortable.

The wife and I stayed one night in this hotel. I expect more from Best Western hotels. The place was at best OK. Broken tiles on bathroom floor, stained carpet and rather noisy because we were the elevator on the third floor. I just thought their standards were higher. Internet worked. Breakfast was hot and free.

The Best Western West Valley Inn isn't fancy, but it does maintain the Best Western quality. The room was clean and roomy. The location is a block in from a main road (3500 S.) and on the other side of Interstate 215 from the Valley Fair Mall. The immediate area has all the popular dining you would want. It is a great location for Salt Lake City. Breakfast was the standard good quality Best Western breakfast (we didn't eat breakfast anywhere else the three days we were their). The price of $260.00 for three nights in a large city is remarkable anywhere. This was our second stay at this location and we were very pleased. My only complaint was the smell of marijuana our first night and the sticky elevator after breakfast the last day.

Only BW I've seen with no carpet in the room. But that was ok because it was very clean and quit. The staff was very professional. Plus there was plenty of hot water. It is close close to dining and shopping.

First time staying rooms were nice shower not working did not any other rooms for my family and I to go too. I would not recommend no one to stay there again. Very disappointed. Had to drive somewhere else to shower for my appointment in Utah.

Loved our night here! Breakfast was amazing and the pool was great. Beautiful rooms. Loved the hotel and staff. Felt like we 'owned' the hotel and could come and go as we pleased. My boys were treated like adults and they loved it. Would definitely go back to this hotel!!

On a road trip to various states and this was the first night. Complimentary breakfast is a plus for us. Overall experience is great. The location is also not too far from Temple Square, where we visited twice.

This hotel is a little off the main path but it was a great choice. Very clean and quiet. Recently refurbished and seems very well taken care of. Staff was very nice and helpful. I'll stay here again.

Great experience with the staff. One of the places where I actually left at home n not like I was traveling . Made my kids n I feel safe and comfortable. Would not want to stay anywhere else. Favorite place to stay at now

it is a very affordable motel with large and quiet room. Very confortable king size bed and a great hot breakfast. Wifi was very good. The area is quite close to the salt lake city centre. About 10 minutes by car.

I normally never talk bad about a Best Western Hotel. The minute I went to use the bathroom and I looked in the Toilet. There was a ring of mold in the toilet. My sister was kept up all night from the noise coming out of the refrigerator. They didn't even bother changing my room. They told me to take a picture and send it to an email. I asked to be refunded for my room but they said my upgrade was good enough. I spend lots of money in the Chains of Best Western Hotels and they could at least comped me for one of the rooms

First and last time we will be ever staying at this location. We were put in a room where the drawers wont shut properly, as soon as we walked into the room it looked as if someone ransacked through the drawers and left them open. We pushed them closed but they all kept on sliding back outwards. On our reservation we specified that we are traveling with a 18 month toddler who nearly almost got hurt from the opened drawers. It was uncomfortable for the first 5 mins in that room.The tv dresser was deteriorating on the bottom they had pieces of cardboard at the corners to hold the tv drawer from tipping over. It was just ghetto in our eyes! We were able to be put in another room down the hall, appreciative for that. Just a friendly advice, if your staff knew about the issue and it couldn't be fixed right away suppose your maintenance guy has only been there for a week (word from your front desk clerk). Don't put any guests in the room until the problem is fixed. AC in the elevator wasn't working, it was so stuffy. Was trying to check out around 8:00 am, but no one at the front desk. Other guests looked dissatisfied with the morning breakfast, no more hot foods or cold foods in the mini fridge. The counters were a mess, no dinning room staff to be found or near. Every thing was empty. My family & I just left and ate breakfast elsewhere.

The dryer's smelled like pee. The hot breakfast was cold an they never have a acquit amount of food. An the mattress sucked. Besides that its in a great spot. Movie theaters an a mall in walking distance

... and that's a good thing. We usually choose a Marriott brand but on this trip chose Best Western due to our travel route. Surprise! Apparently, this hotel had been recently remodeled, or so it seemed to us. The decor was modern and comfortable, and our king room had everything we needed, including a bed that allowed a good night's sleep.

An older hotel that is in the process of renovation. It will be a lot nicer when finished. Upgraded their breakfast to include sausage, eggs and biscuits and gravy, etc. along with the usual do it yourself waffles.

Hotel was nice. Was under renovation. Didn't like the idea that work was still being done after midnight. Front receptionist (Anu) needs a attitude adjustment, very unfriendly. Reported to her that I had a very dangerous chair in my room because the seat was installed backwards and tipped very easily. Also told her my hair dryer didn't work. I stayed 3 days and neither was taken care of. Never saw the maids but they did a nice job and even left notes for us to let us know about this or that. I have always had good luck with your hotel chain with good staff members until Anu. Everyone else there was fine.

Disappointed after checkin to find a note on both pool room and fitness room that BOTH were closed due to repairs. We had traveled 2q hours, and was really looking forward to relaxing. There was never a mention of it before checkin, isn't the price of the hotel room based on amenities offered.. Also there was not anything within walking distance. On upside hotel was clean& staff was friendly.

I've stayed at this location a few times over the past 5 years and have watched this property slowly deteriorate. This last stay in November will be my last. Had to have keys made three times before front desk clerk agreed that door lock must not be working properly and switched me to another room which was a downgrade, but that's ok because it was after 10:00 pm and hotel seemed to be pretty full. What's not ok is that I noticed a couple of weeks later that hotel charged me almost $10 more to downgrade my room. When I entered the new room I noticed that it only had working lights in the bathroom. There were no lamps or overhead lights in the main part of the room. It was 10:30 pm. Luckily I had a flashlight in my truck. Floorboards were missing in places around the room and mattresses were really old -- sagged to the point of nearly feeling like a hammock. It's a shame that this property has become so run down.

Stayed twice at this location in 10 days. Rooms smelled strongly of fresh paint, brand new floor tiles in each room were broken. On my second stay the room had no lamps or refrigerator. On the morning of my second stay remodeling work began at 830 am on a Saturday! No sleeping in possible! Pounding, air tools, etc. Pool and hot tub closed. Then tried four times with the location and corporate to get a receipt for one of my stays ... Never got it! The only bright spot were the friendly night shift clerk's who checked me in. As an La Quinta Elite rewards club member I was very dissatisfied.
