Best Western Parkhotel Weingarten

The hotel is clean and centrally located near the old town. Check-in was smooth and so was checkout. I had a very unpleasant experience with the room. During the booking I asked for a quiet room. What I got was a room on the 3rd floor on top of the entrance to the conference and party facilities. There was a wedding for 300 people and guests were talking loud and smoking non-stop outside. I couldn't close the window as there is no airco in the room and it was hot outside. The party and loud music lasted until 2 am. I contacted reception but received no help, just "we hope it will be quiet after 30 min...". I believe I should have been warned upon check-in. This hotel does*t care about their guests; obviously the income from party room rental outweighs usual guests. In addition my car was damaged by some somebody in the parking garage. I have no doubt from where these people came from.

excellent service, nice clean room, easy booking by phone or e-mail!. Good parking space.Only the pillows where a little bit to soft for me, but for the rest all was excellent. Good value for money!.

Below average service as desk was sparsely supported. Rooms are dated and tub did not drain well. Room is spacious and bed is quite firm. Bar was limited and slow in service. Unlikely to return here in business as there are other hotels from which to choose.

Very nice hotel located 5 minutes walk from the town center. Rooms are well furnished and large. Restaurant on site with buffet breakfast, and waiter service for dinner. Staff were friendly and helpful. Large free car park on site.

Our goal was Ravensburg but couldn't find a hotel there. All fully booked. The alternative was to stay in this hotel in Weingarten, and we did not regret the decision. It is only around 10 minutes away by car from Ravensburg. The room was of good size with comfortable twin beds, and the duvet was not problematic for a tall person. We also did not have to worry about having to go out again after a tiring drive, since the hotel restaurant was good with ample choices. Free parking. For that particular night, price was higher than usual though.

Nice time spent in this hotel. It is very near my company, bus station just outside hotel hall and at 5 minutes walk from Weingarten center. The room was very clean and confortable and wifi service quite good. The best skill of this hotel was the restaurant. Very good and big dishes of traditional and typical baden food. Rösti was wonderfull. Breakfast was good, I prefer sweet breakfast with pie or croissant instead of international one with eggs, ham or sausages. I suggest this hotel at 100%.

We have stayed here in the past years each time before our annual ski holiday in Austria. The hotel is located near the German/Austrian border, about 20 km from the Highway. We also stayed here last week and it will probably be our last time. For two reasons. 1)The hotels is starting to show its age. The interiour of the rooms is a become dated. Wallpaper is damaged, the bathroom can use some new tiles and the rooms have no airco (which was no issue now, can be an issue during summer). Good thing is that the family rooms are spacious, and as family room therefore attractive as they have two beds of 160 cm. These sizes you do not often find in Europe. 2) Very rude service at checkout. The lady presented the invoice and the amount was higher as expected as she had included breakfast. I made a reservation about 5 months back and I was 100% sure the rate was including breakfast. That was also confirmed by e-mail. However the attidude of the women at the reception was unbelievable. Very, very rude and no compasion at all. She was 100% sure, the rate I booked was excluding breakfast. So I opened my laptop and showed her the e-mail. Aha, no denial possible as of that moment. But no excuse, no apologize, nothing. She could only say (in German) that I was lucky and that I got the breakfast for free...?? What do you mean for free, I booked a rate including breakfast so her comment did not make any sense. Bah, what a nasty women this was with an Ice Age attitude. I do about 100 nights a year in hotel and I have to think deep when the last time was that I was treated like this. Just unbelievable. We will not come here again.

Nice hotel in a great location, bus station is right outside. The town within 5 minutes walk. Restaurant serves good food. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, very delighted with the stuff service. For business the internet works great. Will recommended 100%.

This was a wonderful hotel. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and most spoke English. The breakfast was good. I was going to a concert in Ravensburg, so this hotel was in the perfect location--only a short 10 minute drive away. The one thing that was a bit unusual about this European hotel is that they had washcloths. Most European hotels do not. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Ravensburg area.

Not much choice in small town of Weingarten. Value for money. Have all the necessaries one need in a hotel. Good internet coverage. Modest breakfast. Spacious room with coffee/tea. Just 5 mins walk to the central park, and main attractions and other shops.

We stayed there in August 2016 in 2 connecting rooms on the top floor, and the rooms (well, at least one of them) were huge, way above the average European size. We stayed for 3 nights and visited the Bodensee (Konstanz lake) area as well as the Donau museum. The stay in the hotel was good and calm, except for some noise coming from outside on Saturday night. Breakfast was overpriced (it could have been included in our above average rate) so we did not have it at the hotel but rather walked to the city (5-8 minutes) were you can have decent breakfast in the various pastries shops. On the negative side, we found the hotel a bit overpriced (probably due to its' monopoly situation) and the soap dispenser in the bathrooms was not what you would expect from a 4 stars hotel.

We selected the Best Western Weingarten for a family trip to the locations in the eastern part of Bodensee, and a visit to the amusement park Ravenburger Spieleland. We stayed for two nights, and overall had a pleasant experience wth this hotel. Would have rated it as 3.5/5 if this was possible. The good: - Location: nearby Weingarten Abbey was impressive, and can be reached on foot. Also within walking distance there are a few dining places (and breakfast spots in case your booking doesn't include it: check Cafe Schmidt in nearby Löwenplatz and Cafe am Stadtgarten). A visit to nearby Ravensburg is highly recommended, with plenty of dining options and a beautiful old town to explore. - Our room was much bigger than expected, and looked well maintained. We were on the 3rd floor facing the park, and it was very quiet at night. - Parking was free throughout designated parking spots near the hotel. Very convenient, and plenty of availability. - Staff were very responsive to our requests. Upon check-in were assigned to a room on the 1st floor, which had a strong smell of smoking. We went back to the reception to complain, and were immediately alocated to a room on the 3rd floor that was smoke-free. Late check out was also promptly granted. The not-so-good: - Internet connection speed was surprisingly low. - Our bathroom looked a bit dated. It was clean, and again well maintained, but there were minor issues like (i) the difficulty in setting the right water temperature in the shower and (ii) the use of liquid-soap containers in a hotel that claims 4 stars. In summary: for little more than 100 usd/night, this Best Western was very good value for money. Recommended to visit nearby Ravensburg and Spieleland amusement park.

Just been here on business, it is clean and tidy, decent size rooms plus plenty of parking. Local town is 5-10 min walk there are limited choices of bars and restaurants but enough to keep you entertained. Food at breakfast and in restaurant is excellent. Rooms were all a little warm, no air con so in the summer I imagine they could be quite hot! My colleagues mentioned a mild cigarette smell in their rooms, I did not notice this. For the money and excellent hotel and I would stay here again.

For its price in a little town, you shouldn't expect more. The bar/lounge was closed during all three days I stayed. The interior design requires some modernization. Wish they have other warm breakfast selection, besides just hard-boiled eggs. wifi is good. Nice to sit outiside the restaurant facing the garden. But beware, late evening esp. Saturday nights, the garden is the hangout place and they can be noisy.

Very nice staff and accommodating to my 88yr old father ! They let us park right out front and provided coffee every morning. Nic area and fairly close the City Center. I would recommend to any travelers.

We stayed in this hotel to visit Ravensburger Spieleland. According to the description, this should be a four-star hotel. It might fulfil the minimum requirement to be in that category, but we felt it made it barely. The location was good, near city center. There are plenty of parking space if you plan to come by car. The check-in process was quick and efficient. The room size was good but without any air conditioner. During our stay, it was 30 degrees celcius outside during the day. The window was to small to mitigate heat build-up inside the room. We got a room facing the garden and the restaurant. It was so noisy until almost midnight. We were forced to choose between accommodating the heat or the noise! Breakfast selection was rather limited. We stayed there for a few nights and the breakfast was exactly the same everyday. During the day, many thugs and drinkers were walking around the park. They asked us for some changes. When we refused, they did not bother us. I imagine this kind of surrounding might be intimidating for certain people (i.e. family with children). Overall, it was not ideal. For a family room that costs more than 100 EUR/night, I expected more. It might offer a better stay in oher seasons, but definitely not in summer.

I stayed at this hotel on a business trip for 4 nights. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and the hotel room was clean. I did not find the mattress as uncomfortable as other reviewers, my sleep was good. I agree that the breakfast was pricey, especially if you are only having coffee/pastry however it is very convenient and everything was delicious. Internet was spotty but adequate. I wish I would have brought shampoo/conditioner - only one soap dispenser to function as soap/shampoo/conditioner but that was my poor packing. The hotel staff helped to arrange taxi to Ravensburg a few evenings which was much appreciated. I would stay here again.

I stayed here for two weeks recently on a business trip. It was a comfortable stay. Basic amenities, but it was comfortable. You have free wifi in the room for up to three devices. The restaurant was nice, food was good and inexpensive. The breakfast bar was ok, but way too expensive. I had to ask the front desk for an iron and ironing board. Also, there is no coffee machine in the rooms if you are used to that. The service at the front desk was very good from all employees. English was spoken very easy and they were very accommodating. They do have a laundry service. There is also a small bar in the lobby if you prefer a drink after work. The small town of Weingarten is quaint. Walking up to the "mini" Basilica church is a must. This beautiful church was built to an exact smaller scale to the St. Basilica in Rome. For more restaurants and old time German feel, the town of Ravensberg is just a few kilometers away.

I have stayed in this hotel over 40 nights in the last 5 years. Sadly this time was the worst experience. I have always faced the park which is so lovely, now except at night as there is no air conditioning and one has to leave the windows open. The park is a hangout for teenagers, winos and thugs. They party until late at night all the time. I did call down to the reception and have them do something, but it is very annoying. There has been a big changeover in staff, some are warm and friendly, some are quite prickly. The worst though is the beds, the mattresses must have been designed to last 2000 years, they are so hard my hips ached all night. The lovely girl at reception said all the mattresses were the same and maybe after a year of being slept on they might be more comfortable. Great. There are only reading lights and bedside tables on one side of the bed, so strange for a double room. I asked and they kindly put a stool and a lamp beside my bed, but really! Do they not expect couples, only singles travelling on the many tour buses that frequent the hotel? The restaurant looks better with the renovation, but the rooms are sadly lacking. I will not stay again when I am in Weingarten, I will look elsewhere. The Wifi is also a pain in the neck, one has to sign in over and over. Every time the phone turns off you have to sign in again. Rooms are big. Bath is great.

All you can expect in a Best Western, rooms are quite spacy & very well placed. Just to improve: breakfast is too expensive (15€/per) when you can have a great breakfast for around 4€ in a cafeteria outsite.
