"No better place to stay in Vicenza"

What a wonderful experience I had at the G Boutique Hotel in Vicenza. Just a two minute walk from the Teatro Olimpico and less than five mins to Piazza dei Signori. Francesca and the team at the hotel are so friendly and welcoming, the service and room was first class and the breakfast was the perfect start to each day. I couldn't have asked for anything else. I'd definitely stay here again if and when I come back to Vicenza.

everything is more than excellent , the people , location , place , cleanness , food , rooms ... especially the wow room it's amazing , i love your hotel and hope to come for it every trip i have in the future .

"Disappointing Hotel"

When we booked to stay for four nights, the hotel asked if we would like to upgrade (at cost) to a "de luxe" room, We did upgrade. However our definition of "de luxe" and that of the hotel's are quite different. The room was really very small, with no windows, the only natural light coming from the door on to the balcony. There was a table and a couple of chairs, but if we both sat at the table, you could not open the room door. There was also virtually nowhere to put small items of clothing - underwear, T-shirts etc., However the hanging space was adequate. The buffet breakfast was very unsatisfactory. We hadn't realised that although we were on a "B&B rate", this did not cover anything cooked - so, for example, scrambled eggs, were "from Euro 5 extra". To be fair, the extra cost of being on the " B&B rate" versus the "room only" rate was very modest, and so we were happy to accept it covered a "continental" breakfast only. On our first morning there was an attentive waiter who brought us a pot of coffee very quickly. There was a basket containing an excellent selection of jams, honey etc. but the only bread on the buffet table was a very small seed encrusted dark loaf - pumpernickle type. No rolls, baguette, croissants etc. The waiter said that was all there was was sliced white bread in the kitchen that they used to make toasted sandwiches. So we said we'd have that. It was tasteless, flabby, baked with no crust - barely better than nothing. The following morning there was no waiter when we went in to breakfast around 9am. We had fruit and yogurt but after about ten minutes we went to Reception to ask if we could have some coffee. After quite a long pause a rather flustered member of staff arrived - apparently he had been doing something else (??). We asked for coffee and some bread - as on the previous day, the only bread in the buffet was the small, dark pumpernicle-type loaf. Probably ten minutes late he arrived with two huge mugs of coffee with the spoons sticking out of them. It took two attempts to get him to bring us a pot of coffee. Again we said we'd have the flabby white bread from the kitchen, but this time we like it toasted. A further ten minutes past, and he brought us a toasted ham sandwich.................Apparently "toast" in this part of Italy means a toasted sandwich - we do not know what to ask for if we just wanted toasted bread. We went down for breakfast on both days well within their breakfast times. We went to reception later in the day and asked to be put on a "room only" basis for our remaining two days. This they agreed to very amicably - the Reception staff was always helpful and friendly. On the next two mornings we went to nearby cafe which had good coffee and excellent array of croissants etc, Difficult to understand why the hotel could not produce a simple :"continental breakfast" with service to match. Finally, one the evening we ordered a couple of glasses of wine in the bar - we had to ask Reception for this - there was no-one behind the bar.. After a really long time, we were given a very ordinary wine, served in two saucer-like "champagne coupes". Why not normal wine glasses? The measure seemed small to us, but the charge certainly was not - Euro 8 a glass!! We are truly sorry, but we would not stay in the Glam Boutique Hotel again.

Dear Roydocklands, It's really disappointing to see reviews like yours, spacially when they are not really truthful. Maybe you don't know the definition of Boutique Hotel and you are used to standard hotels. It's better you are not coming to visit us a second time cause you 'll be unsatified agin!

We stopped by Vicenza for 3 night in July - my husband grew up here and wanted to show me around. I booked the G Boutique Hotel based on their reviews and fun Instagram pics. We were not disappointed- the staff was so friendly and spoke perfect English, which was helpful to me- my husband speaks Italian but I don't. The first night we got there they let us know they had upgraded us to a suite- room 302- we were very happy they did- the room was awesome! Much more then you would expect from a European hotel room- definitely boutique experience! We were tied from our long day of travel and decided just to get some food and bring it back to the room. I asked for a prosecco to take up and they insisted on sending a whole cart with bread, silverware, sweets for dessert and the fanciest glass of prosecco ever. Every night we took their advise on where to eat and were never disappointed. Their location is perfect, their rooms are cool and interesting. I would say it's not for families, in my opinion, it's more for couples, the shower was completely glass - very cool with an amazing rain shower that lit up in different colors- we plan on coming back and staying here in the future!

We booked the Glam Hotel for its convenient location, but were very pleasantly surprised by the lovely decor, the comfortable room, the helpful staff and the cool vibe! Plan to take some time in the hotel to take in all the design features, and be sure to stay for breakfast in the gorgeous parlor! The staff was so helpful and attentive, and worked together as a real "team" to make sure all our needs were met!

Very well located. Great beds, very soft pillows! The breakfast is served on a very beautiful room with very beautiful tableware.

"Excellent hotel in the center of Vicenza"

Good hotel few minutes by feet from the center of Vicenza, practically in Piazza Matteotti. Pleasant and comfortable, with good quality/ price level. Only MINI rooms are a little small and essential, even though very suitable and relaxing. Nice and caring and super professional staff.
