"They were very helpful"

We stayed here for our weekend trip to Magic Mountain and were satisfied with the room. When we got there I found out I had reservation for wrong date they were very helpful in getting it changed and helping me deal with Expedia. The pool area was nice and had a very relaxing vibe. Excellent free Wi-Fi!!!

"California Trip"

The hotel is across the street from Magic Mountain, therefor the high price of the hotel. However, if this hotel would be at a different location it would go for half the price. No special room. Well used. At this moment there is construction going on during the night at Interstate 5 which faces the hotel. Ask for a room not facing the highway. Good breakfast.

"Broken floor & restroom mold"

No working phone, broken floor I tripped over. Mold covered bathroom ceiling. Old furnishings & absolutely uncomfortable bed. Disappointed with our decision to stay at this hotel & definitely not worth the money.

"Ok for one night while driving from Northern CA to Arizona"

We needed a clean place to sleep during a road trip from CA to AZ. This Best Western was within our budget, easy to get to from I-5 and has a Denny's restaurant next door. The room we were in was clean. It appears that the motel is being remodeled, but I did notice some dark, dingy hallways while walking to the pool area. Our room was facing the parking lot and we could park directly in front of it, but some rooms were away from the parking area. I wouldnt feel very safe having to walk up the dark stairs to a room that didnt face the parking lot. The provided breakfast was your typical hotel food, waffles, pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, bagels, etc. It was very filling and being able to have a quick meal before hitting the road was a big help. We'd stay here again, mostly because of the convenience to the highway and Magic Mountain if we visited there.

Not much to say. It was late and I needed a room after a long drive. I was a little surprised the rate wasn't a little lower. The location was convenient, the room was clean and the service was as it should be. I would stay here again if given the same circumstances.

"Plumbing Fixtures Fly"

Its an old property in need of updating. Adding the convenience of ordering in room movies might have distracted us from the dated everything, most noticeable the 70's era plumbing fixtures. The tub spout flew off the wall when I switched off the shower. Also the mattress sunk in the middle you had to cling to the nightstand to avoid sinking into the middle.

"Nice staff, dirty rooms."

Although the staff was beyond friendly, the rooms were disgusting. The first room had bugs or something, small black specs all over the wood, sheets, and even under the sheets. Immediately after discovering this I requested another room. Staff was beyond apologetic and did switch my room. Sadly the room wasn't much cleaner but at least didn't show signs of bugs. It is very close to everything, but personally I'd suggest paying more and getting a nicer place to stay.

This hotel was a nice surprise. Right across the street from Magic Mountain (although walking isn't really an option). The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Gordy was a huge help during breakfast, making sure we found everything ok. Breakfast was plentiful.....waffles, pancakes, cereal, bagels, muffins, fresh fruit, juice, milk, coffee and hot chocolate. Rooms were clean and orderly. Showers were hot. Denny's in the parking lot. Easy to find. Kids loved swimming in the pool and hot tub. Nice place.....we will definitely stay here again!

"Refused to honor their own cancellation code and overcharged my credit card."

I called shortly after 4pm, due to a lengthy hold, to cancel my reservation and I was told I needed to talk to a supervisor. I waited another long period of time and got a cancellation number which I confirmed by repeating the number. Subsequently, my credit card showed charges more than $20.00 over the original charge. When I called to speak with the Manager, Linton he refused to acknowledge the cancellation number or refund the charges. For more than 5 years I have been a member of Best Western, frequently travel and cancel & change reservations without a problem. Mr. Linton was extremely rude and unwilling to even check to see how I could get a cancellation number.

"Cold Showers and Other Gripes"

Delivering hot water to our room seemed to be challenge. We had cold showers for two of the three mornings of our stay. A window was out of its slider on our first day (so I fixed it), and it mysteriously open the next day. There was no screen, so we're glad nothing flew or crawled in. The front door doesn't seal very well allowing light and cold air into the room. And we found just one shower-size towel for two of us on our final morning. For the positives, the room was clean and neat, the warm breakfast was busy but very good, and the wi-fi worked fine.

"Perfect Stop on the Way Home"

We needed a place to stay between LA and the SF Bay Area. We used Best Western points and it was just what we needed - quiet, spacious room, typical hotel breakfast, excellent freeway access location. We could hear freeway traffic, but it wasn't a problem - was more like a natural sound machine that you use so you don't hear other noises.

"Nice facility"

This was actually a very nice hotel. I noticed the rooms door was outside but the room was very clean and well kept. The front desk members named Sarah and Malik helped me out with all my request when my family and I arrived. We stayed three days and will be back because clean rooms and friendly staff. My only complaint which isn't a complaint, is on sundays they should have 2 front desk members working. It is very busy at the end of the weekend and everyone is trying to check out. But that will not stop me or family from staying at this location.

"Very rude customer service"

Absolutely not customer friendly and anyway had recently lost my wallet tried every way possible to satisfy their incident deposit nothing was good enough Sarah was very rude with me and very rude with my wife on the phone. I am a diamond rewards member and very unhappy with this property

"Shocking and Disgusting Treatment at Best Western!"

Told our one night stay would be $122.39. Received billing on our Visa for 574.64. Upon inquiry was informed the additional charges were for a two night stay, for smoking damages, and for a stolen cable box. All the above were lies! The one night stay was December 22 and the issue still has not been resolved.

"Frequent BW Guest"

A comfortable facility, helpful staff, very nice hot tub and easy access to the freeway. The lighting in the rooms is a little dull, should be brighter. We like having real glasses in the rooms, not plastic which is what BF offers. Most better motels do not use plastic. The TV selection is quite limited. All said, we would definitely stay there again.

A little concerned about the traffic noise but impressive sound proofing for our room. Happy to have an exercise room and complimentary breakfast. Although the front staff was trying to be very helpful in locating my misplaced iPhone, the WiFi was SOOOO bad, there was absolutely no signal. Only reason I'm giving 3 instead of 5 stars is absolutely nothing went through the ‘free' aka useless WiFi - no iMessages no internet no ‘find my iPhone'

"Good value and close to freeway"

This is a basic Best Western, but what makes it stand out is the excellent customer service (given by William), clean room, and great breakfast!! It is an easy on/off of the freeway. A great midpoint stop between San Diego and San Francisco if you want to break up your trip and get north of LA traffic.

Every time we go on a family vacation we always come to this hotel. They have the best service and best breakfast ever. The pool is awesome too and it's heated. There is shopping centers and places to eat around there. We will be back again soon

"Not impressed"

I stayed here for work and made a group reservation for myself and coworkers and when I checked in, I asked to be on the top floor and nonsmoking. The guy that checked me in stated that because it was a group reservation, management had already assigned the rooms. OK, that is fine. I get to my room, it was on the bottom floor on the end. Not bad.....then I opened the door. It was a smoking room. No carpet and it stunk obviously from years of smoking. No amount of Lysol fabric and the surface cleaner was going to get rid of the smell. I literally used a whole can on ALL the surfaces in the room. Made it a little better but again, smoking for main years, it was in the paint and curtains and so on. I get that some hotels offer smoking rooms even though most guests want nonsmoking and I get that hotels are responsible to fill ALL rooms. With this said, I think it is a disservice to have smoking rooms in 2017 when most people no longer smoke and to knowingly place guests wanting nonsmoking rooms to be placed in a smoking room is a disservice, it is disrespectful and to me is a health concern. No one should have to breathe in the years of cigarette tar buildup let alone smell it during their stay. When I was able to relocate, I took the chance and moved hotels. The fact that the rooms were preassigned, isn't an issue. BUT if a guest specifically asks for a NONSMOKING room, that request should be accommodated. The room had hardwood floors. They haven't been washed in awhile because my socks and feet turned black from dirt and cigarette tar buildup. Gross! It is close to Magic Mountain which can be a plus if you are there for Magic Mountain. Maybe your stay will be better BUT beware that your request for a NONSMOKING room may go unheard.

I was clean and nice. The people were nice. The freeway is next to the property and is in bad condition. When empty trucks go by and hit a bump it's loud. The place seems well managed and is OK. It is behind the Holiday Inn Express.

Excellent hotel with great amenities and breakfast. Loved it. Clean rooms, plenty of parking, close to Six Flags location. Lot of restaurants couple of miles away. Close to freeway. Friendly staff and loved those pancakes in breakfast.

"It was great for a mini vacation."

I still wish the hot tub work properly. The staff was great. I appreciate them providing access for my son when we got separated at the theme park. The breakfast was convenient but the pancake recipes were not that flavorful. But the toast bagels and cold cereal was good.

"Do not stay here!"

We paid almost $200 including tax for a standard room over the long Thanksgiving weekend. This is a worn best Western in it and a polling location, right beside the freeway and the noise is horrible.The staff was OK, the breakfast was good enough, but the price gouging on this clearly inferior best Western was not appreciated. We will definitely not stay Best Western in the future.

"Overnight Stop in Santa Clarita"

I have no complaints. The facility was clean and nice. My room was away from the I-5 traffic noise. I arrived after dark and it was a little difficult (confusing) finding my room. They might benefit from some additional signage directory to room numbers.

"Never stay here"

Horrible old building warped floors. noisy. lumpy uneven bed never had been flipped or rotated was 6" higher at the foot. No way could we sleep. Tub was tiny and ugly. Upon checkout after complaining, they took off half the cost. Thank you.

"BEST WESTERN VALENCIA INN, STOP-OVER ON THE I-5 - Bring your ear-plugs"

We were headed south on the I-5 and wanted to spend the overnight just north of Los Angles so that we'd only be two hours. or so, away from our destination the next morning. We were to drop off the rental and then go on a cruise. The Valencia Inn fitted that criteria. That, and the fact that it was next to a Denny's were the reasons why we had chosen it. The hotel and the room was as we had expected. What we hadn't taken into our consideration was the I-5. The traffic was heavy at all hours on this part of the freeway. Our room faced south. The I-5 was to the west. We are sound sleepers so we got through the night without issue. We could hear the traffic from inside of our room when near the door or the window but the noise didn't penetrate far enough into our room so as to be heard from the bed. I would think that anyone in a west facing room wouldn't have had a similiar experience. No other issues. The staff and the service were very good.

"Great Location for business in valentia"

Build in 1963 the rooms are very spacious, the amenities are typical Best Western who make sure everything you need from Microwave, fridge, TV, coffee maker, ironing board etc are all available in room. Only disadvantage is its proximity to the 5 freeway so you might need ear plugs if your a light sleeper.

"Don't Stay Here !!"

Rude staff, filthy room, VERY LOUD (right next to freeway). Find somewhere else to stay. When telephone reservations direct to the hotel are made, you would expect to be shown the room you ordered, or at least explained to you that the King beds w/dogs allowed are ONLY ON THE SECOND FLOOR. Not knowing their policy, I requested a room near the rear, but was given a room right next to the freeway. Don't stay here ever !!!

We needed to be able to bring our dog on this particular trip. This hotel was very accommodating. It was exactly what was needed. As an added bonus, it was not terribly expensive. It was also within walking distance of the theme park we chose to visit. Overall, we were quite pleased.

"Basic, functional, location, highway noise."

This location is only yards away from Highway 5 across from Magic Mountain. They give you earplugs. Traffic noise is less over the weekend. Otherwise, a solid value. Breakfast layout can be a bit congested when families show up.

"Find another hotel"

Definitely the worst hotel I've ever stayed at dollar for dollar. It is literally right on top of the freeway. So loud they provide complimentary ear plugs. What's amazing is that even though you feel like you are sleeping under a highway overpass, you can still hear the people talking in the room next door as if they were two feet in front of you. How is this even possible? Beyond how loud it is, the room is bare bones and everything in it is uncomfortable. I highly recommend staying someplace else. I really wish I had.

After a long day at Six Flags my boyfriend and i were super tired it was nice to come to a clean and tidy room we slept like a baby.i will diffidently recommend this hotel to family and friends. im happy we stayed here instead of a 2.6 star hotel for cheap. the price to stay at this hotel was very reasonable you diffidently get your moneys worth to stay at a clean hotel. :)

Pricey, and dingy. This motel has exterior walkways and no elevators. The walkways and stairs were dirty and need quite a bit of attention. Also there were insufficient power outlets in the room. Staff was fine, and room was clean, though not bright.

"Generally Very Good, but....."

We stayed here only 1 night on a road trip around California. The room was very good, and clean with a comfortable bed and decent furnishings and equipment, the breakfast, while nothing special, was fine, and the staff were pleasant. So why the "but...."? Well, the location is very convenient for travellers using the I5, but because of this proximity it means that traffic noise was an issue throughout the night. While the hotel cannot prevent noise from the traffic, we believe that with comparatively little expense or effort the situation could be improved dramatically by installing an additional internal door between the bedroom and the bathroom area and we did not feel that enough attention had been given to mitigating the noise. Also, on arrival there were cigarette butts and other rubbish in the stairwell which we had to use to our upper floor room, and some of this rubbish was still there when we left the following morning which does not give a good impression. Overall, not a bad hotel, but it could be so much better.

We enjoyed our stay there. The hotel seemed a little old but I like the structure and atmosphere. It was colosed to the high way and a bit loud but there were ear plugs and it didn't bother us. we will stay there again. Thank you.

"Stinky room too loud"

This is a beautiful location however our room smelled like smoke. And there was a 1 inch gap under the door which made for a very noisy night with the freeway traffic. I honestly would not stay here again it smelled so bad

Friendly staff and clean rooms and breakfast was fast clean and stocked up. For the price it was a little pricey but you can't complain when you get free breakfast and free parking. Also way discounted tickets to six flags.

Facility and rooms need refurbishing. Noise from freeway and from other rooms and guests horrible. Had light bulbs out in our room. Huge gap under the door to room which let in light and breeze. Breakfast - typical BW. However, very friendly and efficient staff.

This hotel was right by Highway 5 and across from the six flags amusement park. They furnished earplugs that did little to dispel the din. We soon discovered the toilet was completely dysfunctional. The carpet was grungy. The website advertised a pool--I believe it was circa 1964. Perhaps that was this place's glory days, but they are long gone now.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. This property looks a bit "dated," on the outside but don't let that deter you from staying here. The rooms are nice and comfortable, and the staff is very, very pleasant and everyone always has a smile on their face. The services provided were good (easy check-in/check-out) and excellent breakfast service. This place is just across I-5 from Magic Mountain and is close to anything you might want to see/do.

"Unbearably noisy"

Although this property has been well maintained and the rooms are nice it backs up to I-5 and the traffic noise is extremely high. They offer earplugs but they do not help at all. Did not sleep all night.

Good price for location, staff pleasant and very helpful. Hotel is an older generation construction but has been upgraded. Pleasantly surprised at lack of Hwy noise, being that we were directly next to Hwy 5. Room quiet and restful. Rooms large and generous.

This is a great place to stay when going to Magic Mountain. The location is great the rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The breakfast is great. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting with kids.

I hate doing reviews and rarely leave one but this place deserves it. This place has no sound barrier from the hwy so it is incredibly loud, like, I can still hear the cars passing with EARPLUGS IN! I found a gross long hair in my towel, the shower water would not stay warm once the neighboring room started using their water, the breakfast looked good but tasted AWFUL, and the air conditioning unit leaked the whole time it was on so water was everywhere and when we checked out and reported all the problems the staff said "oh...that's too bad".

It was clean but very uncomfortable beds and pillows. The lighting was very dull and hard to see. The location is perfect alot of places to eat around it if not 10-15 min drive. The staff was friendly.

"Noisy and Dirty"

Little to no insulation as we could hear EVERYTHING our noisy neighbors and their screaming kids were doing. Non-smoking room smelled of cigarettes. AC worked when it wanted to. Very dirty, especially carpet in our room which turned my son's socks black. Spent the entire stay wishing I would have paid the extra and stayed at Holiday Inn Express next door.

We have an Annual Extended Family Reunion in Santa Clarita and prefer to stay overnight with our immediate Family. This Best Western has easy access to major Freeways when we depart. It has very comfortable beds and a nice Breakfast with a good selection of items.

I was pleasantry surprised to find that this hotel was still the perfect place to stay when visiting Magic Mountain. I used to stay here when I was a teenager and there was nothing else around really. Now there is a nice little strip mall up the way to find places to eat and a little further up there are a ton of places to eat and a Target and more. The room came with a fridge (something you always have to pay extra for) and a microwave and a coffee maker. They also had a free breakfast from 6 am - 10 am. I didn't check that out though so I'm not sure how good it was. The beds were comfy and the AC worked great. I'd definitely stay here again when we come back up to use our MM season passes.

Booked the hotel at the last minute as a stop over between Northern California and Hollywood. Good location off of the freeway, King bed was comfortable and room was clean and well appointed. Room was in building furthest from freeway, so no noise issues. Breakfast was standard BW fair, with eggs, sausage, waffle maker and a very unique pancake maker. Quality about what you'd expect. All in all, a good last minute deal.

This is a good stop over place for us on our trip to Escondido to visit with family. We come down from the Sacramento area and don't like to make the trip in one day and this has proven to be a good location to stop at. It is easy to get on and off the 5 here.

Very nice hotel for the price. Close to our vacation destination. Staff was nice and breakfast was good. Rooms were clean and good size. Lots of food choices nearby. Late night coffee bar was a very nice plus!

We love this hotel and have chosen it 4 or 5 times in the past 2 years. It is beautifully maintained, the staff is outstanding in its efficiency and friendliness, and it is dog-friendly. The quietest rooms are in the back bank. When you first check in, you might think the freeway noise is going to be a problem, but when you close your room door, it is wonderfully quiet. Our room has always been very clean, mattress offers a great night's sleep, and free amenities like shampoo are of excellent name-brand quality. Breakfast area is clean, not crowded and well-maintained. Pool is nice, has a lot of trees near by and towels stacked conveniently close. We have brought our dog here and it has a great walking area, also clean. Room has NEVER smelled like a dog had been in there. It is near Magic Mountain if this is your destination, but no shuttle (not really needed). This is our hotel of choice in Valencia.

Nice place to stop and rest before hitting the crazy Los Angeles area traffic! The rooms are well insulated so it is very nice and quiet even though you are just off Interstate 5. Lots of restaurants in Valencia - just down the hill.

The staff is amazing. They make the bad hotel tolerable. Our showerhead broke. The front desk lady ran up keys to another room for us. Awesome! The parking lot was resurfaced and we had to move our vehicle. Very inconvenient during a Sunday morning. The workers were very cool, it's not their fault someone made a poor decision. The traffic noise there is horrible! The doors do not have a proper seal to block the noise. This hotel is in real need of an update. But please keep the staff!

We had to stop for the night because of fatigue. This was an K place to stop. Breakfast as usual for BW was fine. The room decor was a bit down on its heels, but the bed was fine, the shower water warm, and the convenience was appreciated.

We were out here for work and all the staff was great. They really took great care of us during our stay! The had fresh waffles with all the toppings. The pool and spa was relaxing after work. Love this place and we will return.

"The dirtiest run down rooms ever"

the first thing I noticed is wrinkle bed sheets in the bed right away tells you those are not clean bed sheets. If that wasn't good their where empty beer cans behind the tv after I decide to pick up the can I notice the accumulation of dust that's never been vacuumed before in months! I travel a lot with my company and stay in hotels a great portion of my work and by far this has to be the worst ever hotel 6 has better rooms then this location button line stay away from this best western in Valencia

The staff and rooms were very welcoming. Do not be put off by the exterior. It is an old hotel and the grounds, though clean and well maintained, show it. I would stay there again. It is near Magic Mountain. The shopping is a few miles away but easy to get to.

"Truck Parking, QUIET, CLEAN!"

Truck parking is in front of Dennys in the culldesac..but, if there's no room, there's a driveway that leads up to a huge lot, 8-10 trucks, easy. Rooms are a nice size, with concrete walls ( painted nicely) & ceiling, so there's no noise coming in from anywhere. Staff is always available, extremely nice & efficient. Never saw any bugs or ants. Stayed 4 nights & our room was cleaned & stocked every day. Great place to stay!

"Bad experience"

I left about five days ago they over charged for my room by 800.00 and still have not received a credit or a statement. I was told they would email the revised version but just like my stay for 14 nights no service I have stayed at Best Western's for 20 years and never has anything come close to the poor service. One day they didn't clean my room and they accused me of putting out the do not disturb sign. I had to call for coffee and one morning I went to wash my hair and it was lotion not shampoo that was a chore getting it out.

From beginning at check-in to the ending at check-out we had a great experience! Staff went out of their way to help us with early arrival check-in. Always acted professional and happy to help. Pool was great....after a long drive it was a welcome site. Room was just as the pictures showed. Loved the ideas of wood-looking floors instead of stinky dirty carpets.

My family and I have stayed at this hotel plenty of times before. It is very convenient to Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor. They have a shuttle that takes you and brings you back. The hotel staff is very friendly and caring. Outside exterior was dirty during our stay but as we were leaving that was being taken care of. Linen has to be replaced, it is clean but it is too old. I would come back to this hotel on my next trip to Six Flags. I would recommend.

I am a Diamond member. It does concern me that it has not been updated. I know some hotels are franchised but there should be some standards set in place. Jennifer was great. We had assistance from her the minute we got there to when I checked out. Her smile was a 10. There should be more associates like her. Her knowledge was great.

Adjacent to I-5 with heavy, loud noise 24/7. Dim, dark depressing rooms not worth what they charge. Lighting in grossly inadequate. Internet connectivity is random. Stay next door at Holiday Inn Express. Plenty of good restaurants in the area.

"Strange Location, comfortable room"

As I pulled in the driveway, the sign for Best Western is in view, then I parked and walked in to the Holiday Inn. You need to drive farther back, and it is a bit hidden! At first glance it looks like the there are no windows to the rooms, but the windows, at least for my room faced in toward a nice pool and jacuzzi instead of outward toward parking area. Lots of nice light came into the room, without feeling exposed to others peering in, at least up on the second floor. AC unit worked well, coffee maker didn't! Door to bathroom did not lock. Room felt very secure, pool area was very nice. Did not use the gym room, but looked ok. There was strong water pressure in bathroom. The beds were comfy. Breakfast down in lobby included a variety of choices from cereal, waffles/pancakes, yogurt, eggs, sausage, juice, coffee, bread/baked goods. Friendly staff. The hotel is close to freeway.

I had a bad experience, but I hope not everyone does. I entered the hotel at midnight and the employee was very exhausted and looked like it. Then we went to our room, that was really hard to find because it was so dark and when we finally did find it there was a red cockroach bug in front of my door! I was terribly nervous for bed bugs after that. There were ants in our tub. I will not be staying there again.

We checked in late to the hotel, got in our extremely overpriced 'hotel' room. When we got in we went to turn on the AC and found a trail of ants leading to the AC. We called the front desk immediately, the guy wiped up the ants with some type of cleaner and when on his way... say he could give us a $30 discount. (This isn't even a fifth of the cost of the place). Because they didn't put anything down to prevent the ants from coming back they were back in the morning. When checking out the lady was really nice and ended up giving us a little more off our room but they spent way too much money on wood beams on the ceiling than actual updates to windows and doors.

I booked this hotel thinking it would be a cheap budget place. I choose it due to how close it is to Six Flags Magic Mountain. The room was actually a lot nice than expected and very large. The bed was comfy and if your an enthusiast and like roller coasters then there was lovely pictures of coaster on the walls. The hotel has a trolley service to the park which is free and awesome but the park is also walking distance away. The staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Had no complaints about my stay here.

"Noisy Freeway Room"

We have a pet and were given the worst room after having to pay a pet fee on top of the regular rate. Needed to keep the fan on all night just to create white noise to block out the traffic noise. We had stayed here once before but were given a room in the back away from the freeway so not sure about the new policy regarding pets. We will not be returning to this hotel again. Oh, and the bed was not comfortable.

This place is the perfect spot in town since six flags is right across, however the carpet in our room was badly stained and funky smells. I honestly think it is overpriced for what we get in return. This compares just to there other motels in the area. I might give them a try again, but it will be when everyone else is sold out.

I have always counted on Best Western to provide consistent good quality and a fair price. This hotel was no exception. Although situated next to an exceedingly noisy freeway, all the rooms are very soundproof. They are also very dark at night, so bring a flashlight. Air conditioning is very effecient. The provided breakfast buffet was excellent and well stocked. TV worked well. Wi-fi was clear. Lots of room to stretch out and not trip over each other. Plenty of good restaurants nearby, as well as a huge shopping center mall.

I agree on the shuttle being great the City of Santa Clarita provides this service for our guest during the summer free of charge. We look forward to seeing the family again soon!

Because of the location near the freeway and Magic Mountain, we experienced lots of noise from heavy traffic and other guests. The staff and facilities were just average and the price higher than other Best Western hotels we have stayed at.

I reserved here for three nights to go to Six Flags park. The location is ok, the rooms looked good, the place the right one, the position next to highway! Is not this way. We checked in - I asked for a quiet room because I've a very light sleep - and they accomodate us in a far side of the buikding near a green lot. The room was terrible (you can check it out from photos), carpet dirty in many palces, bed humid, linen not so white. A terrible smell all around the room, I looked for maid service to have a deodorant spray to solve the problem. They didnt't have any but gave me a detergent for glasses. The smell still stood in the room. Our neighbours used hotel room as they were in their house: door always open, smoke in front of the room, made a barbecue until 3 a.m. chartting alnd laughing at all times, they didn't absolutely care about other guests who wanted to sleep. The day after I asked to move because of the terrible room and terrible neighbours. They accomodate us in another side of the building close to pool and reception. Another world! Room tidy and parquet on the floor. I thought ... If I havent gone to reception to change room ... I should have lived in that orrible room for 3 nights. The price is the same, why some people have great rooms and why other have worse? I went to reception - more than once - to say that I wasn't satisfied with the "old" room ... not even for the new one! The new one is close to highway - so cars running all night long - and, because is an old building - the pipes are terribly noisy: each time you flush or have a shower a loud mmmmmmm comes along the wall stright to your ears. Many pick-upers stay here for night, they check in at every hour at night, and - obviously - they have a shower, use the toilet .... so pipes sound breaks your ears every single night. We reserved dor 3 nights .... for 3 nights I didn't sleep. Tonight, at 1,30 a.m. I went to reception to asking about noise, the man told me that they know the problem - building is old, pipes are old, too noise from highway - and offered me a pair of ears plug, I wasnt't satisfied about his answer, explained the situation and he offered me a 50 usd discount. If an hotel has so many problems, shouldn't ask 160 usd for a room (expecially if you go in carpeted room, that I suppose are all the same), but less to compense the toubles you have to bear. OBVIOUSLY, if you go to bed, turn off the light and sleep for 8 hours .... it's ok! If you don't care about room "appeal" (as my husband does), it's ok! If you don't care about bad education of your neighbours, is ok! If you can bear smoke, is ok! Now it's up to you!

this was a great hotel. it was beautiful. the location was good as well as the price. the only bad was bed was not too comfortable, kind of hard, the spa smelled bad, and the breakfast area was too small.

We went to California for vacation, selected this hotel for it amenities and its short distance to Six Flags. Everything was nice, clean, and comfortable. Only thing is your outlets for some reason what ever we plugged in it would just fall out, specially the iron. In all everything was good.

Old hotel with freeway only feet away. Good service from staff. Very conveniently located for those going to Magic Mountain. Bring your ear plugs because the freeway is VERY LOUD. The amount I spent was too much for this older hotel.

Went to Magic Mountain to celebrate grandkids graduation. Had a group of 16. Everything workout out nicely. Location was ideal. Used the free shuttle to get there. Also, barbecued both nights we stayed which saved a bunch on dinner costs. Free breakfast was better than expected. Rooms were about as expected for a motel. Great value for location and included amenities.

Room did not have enough towels for 3 people. Room had cracked sink, tub would not drain, no hot water, lamp shade torn, bathroom not clean and had odor. Bathtub faucet extremely hard to operate. Bathroom door would stick closed. Suspect housekeeping not reporting problems with rooms so they can be fixed.

Sarah and Marilu were very nice and helpful my last night at the hotel, and Rosa our housekeeper did an amazing job :) however the 2nd night we were there we went to the front desk for some silverware, for food we had brought back from a restaurant, the girl said she couldn't get any because it was locked up? I thought this was strange because I also work front desk at a best western and I know how often silverware is asked for and I don't know why front desk would not be allowed keys to breakfast supplies. I explained to her why I thought it was odd and asked her if she could double check, she refused. Well that last night Sarah and Marilu were so helpful because not only when I asked for plates (again we had leftovers) I decided to ask for silverware again. They happily gave me some. Why was this so hard just two days prior? Why was it all of a sudden not locked up? I know it just forks, spoons, and knives, but it made me upset because I had expected it was just bad service the first time I asked, and it turned out to be so. Other than that it was a great stay :)

Stayed here for a week with my husband. Choose location due to being near six flags and being out of the way of busy LA great hotel and location, lots of food and shopping very close by. Hotel itself was lovely very clean and large rooms, free breakfast which consisted of bread/toast, bagels, cereal, pancakes, sausage, eggs and several other items. Coffee was really nice. Only cons, wifi stopped working after day 1 we didn't question it as both on 3 so free internet anyway. Also the shower took a while to get warm. Staff really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to LA.

"Cockroaches -- Beware!"

I will NEVER stay here again! I woke up to cockroaches in my room (in bathroom area, sink area and hallway near tv console area). My daughter had a tournament in the Valencia area, we had an early morning wake-up time & I got up at 4:30AM, flipped on the light and cockroaches were crawling everywhere. I tried to kill as many as I could, but they scrambled quickly. I did kill a handful or so of them & left them as evidence for the staff to see (which the manager acknowledged they saw). We packed up immediately -- did not shower or use any of the facilities after our findings. When I went to the front desk at approx. 5:00AM to report my extreme disappointment, disgust with my room & my findings that morning (demanded to speak to the manager), the staff member took down my contact information as there was a power outage at the time & told me the manager would contact me later. We could not stay -- we needed to get on the road to get to my daughter's tournament on time. The Manager did call me later that day when I was right in the middle of my daughter's tournament. Unfortunately, our conversation was even MORE disturbing & disappointing. If she is the manager, she's terrible at rectifying major problems in this hotel, like bugs in your room. No real apology was made (it was a roundabout, somewhat of an apology she gave), she just gave more excuses than anything to me. She assured me that they were "water roaches and not the dirty kind of roaches." I'm sorry, a cockroach is a cockroach is a cockroach - period. Please, I know the difference between a water bug and a cockroach, but more importantly bugs of that magnitude (cockroaches) and that many should NOT be in anyone's room no matter what (especially when I'm a paying customer - I didn't use points, etc.). There is clearly a problem there & from the mannerisms with the first staff member that morning to the manager I spoke to over the phone, this was certainly not the first time dealing with this issue at that hotel. I did not just find 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 cockroaches, there were at least a couple dozen when I flipped on that light - a clear PROBLEM. Unacceptable that the MANAGER'S response to me is that it's pretty much okay, they're only water roaches not the dirty ones??? What??? Are you kidding me??? Shocking to me -- shocking. A hotel company should NEVER have bugs/roaches in their rooms. Will NEVER, NEVER stay there again. And, when I got home, I had to take the extra necessary steps to leave all of our bags outside & unpack them from outside due to not knowing whether or not these bugs were in our bags -- to ensure NO MORE BUGS. What a headache. What a nightmare. NEVER again! The "Manager's" way of resolving this issue was giving me extra reward points to use at another BW hotel stay-- are you kidding me??? Unacceptable & disappointing that this is how the BW company handles serious matters.

"Sheer Frustration"

Just to begin, the hotel was located right next to an extremely busy freeway which made it impossible to sleep! You know it must be bad when there are ear plugs left on the pillows, instead of chocolates. Additionally, when our room filled with the foul odor of pot smoke from another guest and we complained, the staff was not at all sorry nor tried to resolve the matter for us. In fact, the next day when we confronted the manager about the matter, she acted as though we had made up the whole story!! I've never had poorer customer service from a manager at a hotel! Shame on her! It was honestly the very worst hotel experience I have ever had!

Overall very pleased. The room was large, comfortable bed, nice pillows, loved the lap desk and "towel animal" on the bed. Excellent tv service with rewind feature and guide AND the remote was in a sleeve indicating it was clean! Extra-large refrigerator and microwave was better than other hotels I've stayed in. Lovely staff! Was told they are refurbishing the rooms. Cost was relatively fair but the carpet was a bit grungy so I think it should have been less expensive especially since I was not in a refurbished room. The rest of the room was clean.

Perfect location if you are going to Six Flags Magic Mountain and it have a Dennys, right In front for your late night munch. For breakfast is not necessary, because breakfast is included and they have the usual, muffins, coffee, waffles, etc. Beds are very comfortable as well.

"Decent Place"

It's a run-of-the-mill older motel along I-5, directly across from Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was clean, easy to get to and the room was a little larger than expected. We were thoughfully given a room in the back of the property, upstairs (no elevator) so the freeway noise wasn't as bad... but we could still hear it. The free breakfast was simple but fairly good; eggs, sausage, make-your-own waffle, cereal, yogurts, bread & bagels for toasting, among a few other things. Overall, a good place to stay, reasonable rates, the staff was polite and we had no issues. We were driving through and stayed only one night, so it worked well for our needs.

I'm giving this hotel 5 stars for the exceptional customer service, in particular the manager, Jennifer, who really helped us out. Like a dummy, I booked the wrong night, only to discover that error upon arrival. Jennifer changed our night of stay free of charge. The room was very nice and clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The pool and hot tub there are awesome, clean and warm, and perhaps the nicest poolside bathroom I've seen at a mid range hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent as well, with a wide range of food to eat. Minutes away from Six Flags.

My family and I had the best time ever, the breakfast was amazing,the staff wonderful had all the amenities you could ask for pool,hot tub,pet friendly and most of all Nancy C she runs the front desk she is one of the sweetest person i ever met her customer service is beyond amazing she really made me and my family feel right at home wish more hotel would have a Nancy in them i hope Best western never let her go cause she is one in a million. We stayed in this hotel for about three days. A very nice, clean hotel, and only took about half an hour from Universal Studio. Hot breakfast was included and thanks to Mario, he was taking care of foods and drinks and made sure all were fulfilled.

Stayed here for business. Beds hard as hell. Floor was softer. Pillows are basically the equivalent of small couch throw pillows. Old out dated dumpy hotel. No value. Better hotels in the area for the same price or cheaper.

This hotel it is really close to 5 freeway but quiet inside the room. Cozy, size enough, clean room, Pool and jacuzzi really nice. realy good coffee! Our stay was perfect. I recommeded this hotel to enjoy Santa Clarita!

I would have given a higher rating if not for the serious freeway noise. It is a stone's throw from I-5 and extremely noisy in that regard. We were traveling with our dog so we were in a pet-friendly room which is closest to the freeway. Other than that, it was fine.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. William at the front desk was wonderful and let us check in early. I was a little worried about the freeway traffic, but he gave us a room in the back which was great. The room was clean and beds were a little hard, but still had a good night sleep. One issue is their walls are paper thin. You could hear everything. Luckily our neighbors were pretty quiet. The hotel is very close to Magic Mountain and they have the cheapest park tickets around! Buy them there:) Overall, nice stay.

Every time my teen-agers and I stay here it gets better and better . I used booking.com to lock in the rate for Friday and Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend and called the hotel. William was the outstanding employee whose professionalism matched his impeccable customer service skills . I needed a few items accommodated that created more work for William . I can't say they can do this all of the time but William handled the following for me : my son in Germany was paying for the two nights , William explained the process to Allow my son pay as third party billing and was incredibly fast emailing the form , completing the processor swiftly with my son in Germany. I showed up at 2pm for a 3 pm check-in and William allowed me to check in with no charge and asked if the king bed that was the only room available on line, William switched my son and I to a room with 2 queen beds , also accommodate my request for the second floor with stellar customer service skills . The room is beautiful and has a rustic vaulted ceiling and a fantastic view . I've stayed in many hotels in Santa Clarita this year but al the other hotels need someone like William! Great Job hiring William and keep doing it well Best western . William multitasked with phones and check ins and check outs never wavering once from being a superstar. William should be awarded for making the little things happen and being a top notch hospitality professional

"A nice comfortable inn with some drawbacks"

I had a job interview in Valencia; I searched for hotels close to the place I needed to interview at, and this was 5 minutes away. At that time, I didn't know that the major attraction of this inn was it's proximity to Six Flags but it was a pleasant surprise for me and my wife when we saw the big Six Flags sign right across the road from the inn. Anyway, as the far as the hotel goes, it was a good first impression. We came in around 12 am; the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming; we were told where our rooms were and she gave us a quick rundown of the map, breakfast and other necessities. The first thing we noticed about the room was that the room was very dimly lit; not a major problem but we would have enjoyed a bit more light. Not a problem during the day when we would open the curtains but was definitely noticeable after sunset. The second thing we noticed, the walls were quite thin, our room was next to a marching band that was staying in as well; and unfortunately they kept practicing and doing karaoke till the later hours of the night (3 am-ish). I called the receptionist and she was prompt in getting them to quiet down, which I feel was nicely handled considering the circumstance. A more sound-proof room would have been nice though. The inn is also right next to the I-5 freeway so there is constant road noise, but I got used to that; however the thin walls with the noise of the neighbors was quite jarring. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic, it definitely exceeded my expectations. They had waffles, cereal, juices, yogurt, peanut-butter/jelly; fruits; we definitely fed ourselves well. Major points as far as the breakfast is concerned. Wifi was disappointing; it had it's fast moments but then it would become extremely slow and I would end up using my cell phone hotspot. Negative points for wifi. The area is absolutely fantastic. There is a small town center at a 5 minutes walk with Starbucks and tons of places to eat. And then at a 10 minute walk, there is another big center with Red Lobster, Wendy's and other food places. At a 5 minute drive is Target, Peet's coffee and other convenient stores/fastfood. Definitely an optimal location as far as convenience goes. The gym was completely minimal; to be expected as far as small hotel gyms go. We didn't use it. We didn't use the swimming pool either but it seemed nice. All in all: Positives: Friendly helpful staff; amazing breakfast; amazing location with walkable coffee/eateries Negatives: Noise (freeway and adjoining rooms); a tad slow wifi; lighting Will I recommend? Yes

"Worst Hotel Experience!!!"

I recently stayed at the Best Western located in Valencia Santa Clarita, California (located by Six Flags Magic Mountain.) I came across The Best Western when I googled "hotels near me at a good rate..." (after spending an amazing day at six flags with my son.) In which The Best Western was listed at what I thought was a fair price of $110 for one night and this price was not connected with any 3rd party. I decided to call and verify the price before booking, in which the Front Desk Agent Quinn confirmed that there was availability and even quoted a cheaper rate of $107. With excitement I decided there was no need to continue my search for a hotel and decided to head over and stay there for the night. As i was checking out the next morning, I realized I was charged a completely different (almost double in price) rate of $207. I expressed my confusion and asked for the manager to contact me (since nobody there could explain or even assist) in hopes to getting the situation squared away. A few hours later another front desk agent called me just to tell me that there was nothing that could be done, she even mentioned that she spoke with Quinn the agent who I initially spoke with/booked the room in which he stated he "accidentally" quoted the wrong day. I very calmly told the front desk agent to have the manager contact me as I had already requested. When Jennifer the Assistant Manager finally reached out to me she told me that if I could find that rate online she would honor that price. So i did just that, I went on Google... I typed "Best Western Valencia Santa Clarita, California" and took a screenshot of what appeared on my phone screen... (This picture is attached) I emailed it to her and she responded back saying she could not honor that price because it was the price for Sunday and I had stayed Saturday night. I explained to her that you cannot change the dates when booking a hotel for a previous date. I challenged her to check for herself and even though I did just as she asked she refused to fix the rate I was charged, just as she promised she would. I feel like I'm wasting my time in my hopes of getting this situation fixed and I was completely taken advantage. All I can hope is that nobody else gets taken advantage of the way I was. Way to ruin a good family vacation, never again will I my waste my money or my time with another Best Western, especially at this location.

The hotel is nice the size is decent . Just the basic amenities here so don't expect any thing fancy. The hotel is very clean and the staff are friendly. The bed are comfortable, I would recommend this hotel if you on a budget but wanna sleep comfortably

Great employees and great service The best place to stay for a great family vacation! The food was good and the rooms were excellent. Very clean and well kept and if I had to choose a place to stay, I would choose this hotel again!

When I got there normally I check the bed for bugs,but I didn't do it this time. In the morning when I woke up, I saw black small pellets in the bed. I did not think anything of it since I was in a hurry. The second night again I saw like 3 or 4. I should had taken a picture but reported this to the staff. The black small pellets looked like rat or mouse fecal matter. I also I saw a bug in the refrigerator. I did not see any mouse or rats in the room so I thought maybe it came from the laundry when they made the beds. It was the strangest thing.

The room was pleasantly clean and the pool area was beautiful, unfortunately one of our two beds squeaked like it was on it's last day which wasn't conducive to a good night's sleep. Also, the air conditioner was very loud in the room, and when the window was opened the hotel's proximity to interstate 5 freeway was loudly apparent.

Upon check-in the night person at the front desk seemed to be busy on his phone and didn't notice us right away. He was sort of rude like we were bothering him. Our room was ok but you could hear the freeway noise. We called the front desk to request an extra pillow but no one answered the phone. The black hair, middle eastern gentleman was probably on his phone again that's why he probably didn't answer.

We stayed here as an overnight rest to go to San Diego the next day. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They searched for my rewards account to make sure I got credit for the stay...they were really responsive when we requested a quieter room away from the roadway. The desk gave great advice for a wonderful (happy hour) Mexican restaurant within walking distance. The room had apparently been redone recently. It was very comfortable and clean. We had a great bed and a really restful night. Breakfast was presented well and the breakfast area was kept clean so it was a tasty and good experience.

Basic room. Clean. Noisy from freeway. Also we got given a key that was to a room already inhabited by another couple. Close to Magic Mountain. Denny's restaurant within walking distance. Price reasonable for the area. Nothing fancy.

We stayed overnight after a very fun day at Magic Mountain. I was concerned that it would be loud in the room, being right off the freeway, but once the room door was closed, it was very quiet. There was an overhead light burned out and when called the office, they were there in minutes. Later the hair dryer went out, and again, they were there in minutes. The pool and hot tub were very relaxing and the breakfast was yummy! Also, we purchased our Magic Mountain tickets there at a discounted rate. All staff we associated with were so friendly and accommoadating. Will we stay there again..absoulutely!!

Stayed weekend of Oct 7-9, 2016. Check in was a breeze, friendly people at front desk. After putting bags in room, went back and asked where I could find pizza and a store for drinks/food. Gave me excellent directions to Target and Pizza Rev, (Great Pizza F.Y.I) just three blocks away. An hour after I got back, got a call from Front Desk asking if everything was o.k. and if I needed anything. I said I didn't, and they assured me if I needed anything, someone would be available at the front desk 24 hrs. Beds are comfy, microwave and good sized fridge in room. Nice sized desk for eating or working on computer. Ear plugs left in room, since our room faced freeway, (#136) but I honestly didn't hear the cars. Close tp Magic Mountain. Maybe a mile or tad more. Oh! Breakfast. Coffee (Actuality very tasty coffee) Juice, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, bagels & cream cheese, yogurt, waffle station, cereal and milk. And was told, "Have a nice day!" as I left. So Staff (At Fri check-in @ 5 p.m. & staff @ 7:45 a.m. Sat.) Thank You! Would stay again,

Front desk personnel were excellent, helpful, very polite and professional.w e asked directions from the grounds personnel and a housekeeping person, they were all very helpful and polite at all times. All 10 of us enjoyed our stay as we were going to magic Mountain for a few birthdays and the rooms were excellent! The location was less than a mile from park and restaurant. The beds were very comfortable and very clean rooms.

The hotel could use better housekeeping. I reported to the manager that the tub was not clean and the floor towel was not changed and had a dirty print of some mans foot on it. It was very dirty. The tub was very obviously not clean because the railing still had dust and dirt from the last guests. I figured maybe it was because our room was at the very last portion of the hotel and was overlooked. Another area that needed improvement was the breakfast area. There does not seem to be enough staff at this location. The person running the front desk was trying to clean the breakfast area and manage the desk at the same time. The breakfast area needed to be cleaned constantly as there were a lot of people going through. While we loved the waffle machine, people were spilling the mix everywhere and leaving their dirty cups. It was too much for one person. A member of the staff needs to be on standby just for breakfast time only because of the traffic, mess, and need to re-fill the food items constantly. I could see the front guest guy trying to do all three jobs, but it was just impossible. On a positive note the rooms were very big. They were just outdated and could use better sheets and beds. Would I stay here again? Probably not.

Everything about the stay was excellent, apart from the strangely confrontational interaction with the lady at the check-in desk. The room was excellent. Clean, comfortable. Perfect after a hard day at Magic Mountain. It is possible to walk to Magic Mountain if you are staying there a few nights - saves on the $20 parking fee at the park. The noise from the I-15 is loud outside the room, but there is pretty good sound-proofing and ear-plugs are provided (we didn't need them).

I had made reservation over a month and then called a few days early to let them know that my husband and small dog were not coming with me. Also that I still need handicap room. They said that would not be a problem. When I check-in they said they didn't have a handicap room for me. But they had a first floor room which was not handicap. Which I took anyway because was on first floor. I had driven 8 yrs so was tired. Also when I check-out I advised the clerk that the outside lighting in front of all the rooms were I was were out and I almost fell going to my vehicle. Clerk said Oh. I said hotel could have had lawsuit. Seems that clerk was just wanting to check me out. Won't be staying at this Best Western again unless they make it right with me. Maybe using the Holiday Inn Express next time.

My boyfriend and and I planned a trip to six flags, just him and I. A few months ago, we did the same with my brother and sister in law, but were unhappy with the hotel we stayed at, so this time I decided to give the Best Western a try and was very satisfied with my stay. The room was very large, along with the king sized bed, super comfortable. The parking was perfect, close by to the room. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you.

My family and I were on a cross-country trip to move from NY to CA and this was the last hotel we stayed in along the way before moving into a new home. After studying in so many terrible hotels along the way (not even kidding, there was literally only ONE along the way that we would be willing to go back to), this Best Western was a comfortable relief to end our trip. We ended up extending our stay several nights because we liked it so much. Pet friendly, friendly staff, great breakfast, nice pool area, basically across the street from Six Flags. The ONLY complaint I have is that we would leave our room for 6-8 hours a day and sometimes come back to find that housekeeping hadn't visited our room yet. I don't know if they're understaffed or what. That's literally the only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5, because everything else about the hotel is great.

My 12 year old son wanted to spend 2 days at Magic Mountain. We rented a car from LAX. It's a easy drive to Valencia (depending on traffic). This hotel is a perfect location for the park. They have a free trolley that leaves from the Holiday Inn next door. The room was large enough for me and my son. Don't expect a resort hotel. But everyone was very friendly and everyone staying here was mostly families with kids going to the park. It was fine for us. Definitely would stay here again.

Stayed here for 2 nights, so that we were close to Six Flags. Rooms were good, beds were a little soft. Toilets and shower are very noisy and can here the other rooms when they are being used. Breakfast was scrambled and hard boiled eggs, sausage, oatmeal and waffles, plus assortments of breads/bagels. That's all you need, was very well maintained and kept clean throughout the breakfast period. Only downside was at they have no laundry, you are able to use the holiday inn next store, however had to carry a whole pile of washing between 2 hotels and up 2 Floors. Really need to set up some kind of laundry within the building. Pictures online make the hotel look very elegant, however in person, is not so grand. Right beside the highway, so very noisy, but once inside you cannot hear the traffic

Loved the hotel. Had a good breakfast selection, not the greatest but it was good. Clean rooms. Courteous staff and helpful. During breakfast, Ashley a worker there, was great, helpful, attentive, polite and friendly. The only problem there it's next to the freeway. Once you get into the rooms, it all goes away.

room and breakfast were up to par. if you are traveling for government w/tax exempt status prepare for issues on check-in the real thrill at this property is the experience of almost sleeping under an overpass. major traffic on interstate 5 is spitting distance from many rooms. earplugs are thoughtfully provided

This hotel was a great find! Super family friendly. We got adjoining rooms with our friends on the second floor and it was terrific! 2nd floor rooms have high ceilings which add to the ambience and make the rooms seem bigger! Super clean, great pool & jacuzzi area, & wonderful breakfast. Close to 6 Flags and other attractions. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely return!

This was my 2nd time at this hotel. My family and I visited the pool, very clean. There is also a Jacuzzi next to it. There is also a fitness room, but we didn't use it. The staff are nice, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is not continental, but a full breakfast. It includes scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, fruits, juices, coffee, tea and chocolate. The room was very clean and we really enjoyed our stay here. And in case you don't want to drive, there's also a complimentary trolley that services hotels in the area and can take you to Six Flags Magic Mountain. Otherwise, the hotel is about a 2 minute drive or so from the park. Very convenient. There are also a lot of places to eat nearby and malls a few miles away.

This was a nice place to stay. I would rate it higher but the pool and the jacuzzi was super dirty. Other than that it was a good stay. Not so far from six flags either. I would stay here again. The front office called us as soon as we got into our room just to make sure everything was fine.

"Handicap room request not honored"

My husband uses a walker and we requested a room on the main floor because the rooms all face the outside & they don't have elevators. When we checked in we were told that all of the rooms that had no steps were already occupied. They said that they had a room with only two steps to the room. We accepted the room because we were told that we were past the "cancel" time and we would be charged for the room even if we didn't stay with them. When we went to the room, there were seven stairs up to the room. My husband had to almost crawl up the stairs & I had to carry the heavy suitcases to the room. Because of this visit we cancelled the one night that we had reserved for our trip home two weeks later. We also cancelled two nights at the Simi Valley, CA Best Western because they confirmed that they could not guarantee a room on the main floor without steps. This location is right on the highway, very noisy and unpleasant. The breakfast room was also unpleasant. We'll be very cautious when making reservations at a Best Western in the future!

The staff were very helpful. We were in a jam with no place to stay and they made it work. Rooms were clean, beds were comfortable. The only bad thing is the balconies where you enter your room is too small if the maids are cleaning it is very difficult to get by them with your luggage.

We live in SCV. Our AC went out and this is where our landlord put us after almost three days in triple digit heat without air. We checked in on Friday and will be checked out hopefully on Tuesday. This hotel is on the freeway, loud, unclean, and seriously overpriced. I would never pay to stay here on my own. Gross.

Good ratio quality/price even if the quality is just average. Ideal if you visit Six flags Magc Moiuntain, there's a free shuttle service between hotel and park. A bit close of highway 5 but no noise in room.

Nice clean rooms. Bed was comfortable and breakfast choices were decent. I would stay at this location again. Great location next to Six Flags Magic Mountain. They offer discount tickets, but I didn't inquire just saw the sign on the desk. We have season passes for Vallejo park so didn't need tickets for the park.

This place could be so comfortable, and has many good things going for it, decent decor, big rooms, plenty of parking, decent breakfast. Unfortunately the negatives outweigh the positives. First, the beds are real back busters. If you're having any kind of back problem, especially lower back, I would not stay here. Secondly, the AC in the rooms, at least in our room on the upper floor, was very limited. It was hot outside and the AC could barely keep up even when it was running on full blast 24/7. We had stayed in cheap motels previous nights and the AC's there had no problem to keep up with the heat. When we brought this to the attention of the staff we were told that it was going to be addressed in the morning because they were fully booked and the person working had "no power to do anything". Great, a fully booked inn, a warm room and the one person on duty has "no power"? The next day we waited and never heard back so we contacted the lobby again. They had no idea that they were supposed to help us with this matter and informed us that they were fully booked today as well and that we couldn't switch rooms...thanks a lot. They looked at the AC real quick and as expected there was nothing really wrong with it, it's just too weak for the size of the room. We decided to leave it at that. It was uncomfortable but not unbearable. We had some issues with the cleaning personal. The first day, the cleaning lady decided to switch our AC to low and to turn it up. Has this been ordered by management to save money? No idea. We came back to a room that was even warmer than it already was. Really, don't touch our AC setting when we have paid for the room. Another day, we had put up the DO NOT DISTURB sign on the door. Still, the cleaning crew tries to enter while me and my wife are completely naked! We manage to stop them right before they see us. This is completely unacceptable. People are raving about the breakfast....yes, it is a little bit better than the average, for sure, but nothing too unprecedented. The variety of juices are slightly greater than most establishments (4 varieties of juices, however they are not blended very well) and the variety of yoghurt would be greater than average too. That's about it.

stayed July 18 to July 20. This is an older hotel, pretty good pool, not too bad breakfast - but it is busy, beds were comfortable enough stayed in 205. There is lots of highway noise outside of your room. once inside you can barely hear it. There was a bit of a rough crowd during our visit, lots of construction workers. friendly staff. We would stay here again if we had to. The six flags shuttle comes to the hotel. lots of restaurants and shopping is close.

This is basically a motel. I am a diamond member. I did not get my welcome water or gift. The rate is reasonable. Location is excellent close to I-5 and attractions. Plenty of free parking. Free breakfast is good. Great customer service at the front desk and helpful.

We reserved a room for a short vacation to Six Flags. We have stayed at numerous Best Western hotels and reserved this one because we know the quality that has come with Best Western. This one does not meet that. First, we reserved a room for 4 people. There were 2 towels in the room. The noise from the highway is extremely loud. So loud that you literally can not speak to each other outside. The room seemed clean until we looked at our socks or took showers. Our socks were BLACK. When you take a shower you leave muddy, black footprints. The carpet is filthy and has likely not been cleaned in a LONG time. We also had rust stripes in the shower. The buildings are marked horribly. So, when like us, you arrive at dark...good luck finding your room. The room numbers are hard to see and the building labels are poorly lit. We did find it frustrating that there is no laundry on site. Instead they send you to a neighboring hotel. When traveling with a family, laundry facilities are well used! The breakfast is great...and the employees were all helpful and nice. I just think this hotel needs some deep cleaning! Next time...we'll stay next door.

Went here to visit magic mountain. The hotel is close to park. I would not stay here multiple cars got broken into while staying here. There is no security or any video cameras. Also don't take your Chevy Tahoe or suburban or any of that kind of car. Thieves are opening the back window which does not set of the alarm and stealing the back sets. I know sounds crazy but this is a big problem in the LA area.

Budget friendly, clean, and close proximity to the amusement park. They offer free parking and breakfast. There is also a Denny's in the same area as well. The only issue we had during the stay was the pool was closed in the evening... Kids were bummed out.

We were planning on going to Six Flags so when we saw the Best Western sign we pulled in. Right off the bat we had great customer service. Nancy was so helpful and even gave me info regarding reserving online at a cheaper rate. I tried but it was not to be as the rate I saw was for different dates. We stayed and it was great! Right after we got to our room and unloaded, I received a Call from Nancy asking if our room was to our liking and that we had everything. I asked for more coffee and within minutes she had it delivered to us. Nancy is a gem and needs to be acknowledged for her superior customer service. It is because of her I will stay here again. We did not get up early enough to enjoy the breakfast but the juice selection was great. Coffee was avail all day and was very good. Once again, I want to praise Nancy who went above and beyond to make our stay very enjoyable.

"Clean but not worth the money"

I stayed here with my kiddos strictly due to the proximity to Six Flags (and the Hilton didn't have availability). The rooms (2) were clean and spacious but really outdated. There were gaps between the door/outside, excessive noise from the freeway, and obvious maintenance that needed to be done (signs of water leaks). The free breakfast was really good (cereal, eggs, pastries, selection of juices, and fresh waffles). But that just wasn't enough to justify the cost. Next time, I'll call sooner and go with the Hilton.

Glad I found you. I stay in the area once each month on business. Have stayed at Comfort Suites nearby but am now probably committed to you. Only problem I had hard time finding a grocery/liquor store in the general area. The Comfort Suites has much better shoping and restaurants. Not a particular fan of Denneys.

Our stay at this generally satisfactory hotel was somewhat spoiled when my wife rose early to shower and couldn't get any hot water. Both of us found the bathtub to be slippery and somewhat risky to people our age (70s).

It was my first time visiting this hotel and it was very clean. My family and i enjoyed the pool and also enjoyed how quite the room was. The staff was very friendly. Alicia was very helpful and professional and Mario was ver also very helpful and friendly. The rooms were very clean and spacious. And they had all the amenities you need. I would definitely come back to this hotel.

Our stay was for one night. IT wasn't horrible there were some updating of the rooms. Needed a bit more cleaning. But if you just need a place to sleep it wasn't bad. We were just there for one night because we went to Magic Mtn. and continuing on to our next destination. I would stay there again if I needed to.

This is an older property, nestled among trees and lawns just off Interstate 5. We had a large upstairs king room at the rear of the property. One of the nicest features of the rooms there is the full wall of windows; in our case, the windows looked out through a mature tree canopy. It was very pretty and afforded lots of privacy. I imagine rooms facing the freeway get more traffic noise, but we didn't have any. Our room had a comfortable armchair and ottoman, a good desk chair at the desk, a very comfy bed, a fridge, and a microwave. Big bathroom, loft ceiling--just a pleasant place to stay. The usual breakfast buffet served in the lobby area--a bit cramped, but fine. Friendly staff.

Met our needs for price and convenience. It was great having a pool on the 112 degree days. It would be too cold on 80 degree days though. The staff was friendly and attentive. Breakfast was provided. One day our room was not cleaned but otherwise room care was fine. We were 5 minutes from Magic Mountain and 35 minutes from Universal Studios. I would definitely go again.

After reviewing TripAdvisor, we selected this hotel. Nice front desk clerk gave us king room away from traffic as I requested. Room was big, very clean (including carpet), and stylish. Microwave, and refrigerator. Shower head was strong and refreshing. Towels were very absorbent. Bed comfortable. Free breakfast better than most and clean. Selection had 4 cereals, sausage, eggs with cheese, 4 yogurts, 4 bagels, breads, muffin, boiled eggs, 4 juices, cream cheese, peanut butter, and fruit. We would return.

Convenient to Six Flags and offers discount tickets to the park which was a great savings. Hotel is on a trolley route that goes to Six flags which was also a good savings since we didn't have to pay for parking at the park. Good selection of breakfast items and they offer soy milk on request. Hotel is close to freeway but the noise did't bother us. Every hotel staff was very friendly.

I always stay with a Best Western. They are a great chain and the staff and amenities at the Valencia CA location makes me want to stay there more. Not ONCE did I not get a hello or a smile from ANYONE working there. They were awesome. Six Flags just across the street was a nice addition as well.

This hotel was decent for the price. Clean rooms, huge bathroom, very pleasant staff. My only complaint is the breakfast area. It was so overwhelming we ended up just grabbing something quick like a yogurt and muffin. People kept having to cut in between the line for the coffee and trash that was right next to the waffle station and bagels which is what everyone was waiting for.

We visited 6 Flags Magic Mountain and wanted a hotel nearby. This hotel is actually directly across from the park. The room was spacious and quiet. The clogged bathtub drain was fixed immediately upon reporting, the pool was lovely, and breakfast was included (waffles, eggs, sausage... okay). Wifi worked great.

Its what they call a great whole in the wall hotel. Meaning its a little hidden but a great stay. the breakfast is top of the free line type and the heated pool on the weekends is great, kid friendly. rooms and so close to Six Flags park. Dennys is 2 min walk and Starbucks is 10 min walk. Only negative is the water from another room flushing is a little loud but then done. other then that great deal.

Hotel is older and beginning to show signs of use. It is across the freeway from Magic Mountain so gets a lot of weekend and short term use. Being close to the park allows the price to be inflated beyond the value of the facility. It is very average and due to the cost, makes a trip to the area very expensive for a family. Breakfast room was very small and crowded due to number of guests staying.

This was a good for our two day visit to Six Flags. We stayed next to the freeway but the noise was not bad on the inside on the room. Other reviews said you can hear the traffic on the inside of the room but we didn't. There was new packaged earplugs that were in the room I suppose for that reason- Everything was clean. It is a great stay for the money. The breakfast was average- fruit, packaged cheese danish and breads. There was sausage and eggs they were warm at best (in my opinion). Otherwise everything was good.

"Stop halfway home"

Very Good because of location, in years past we enjoyed it as a family summer trip to Magic Mountain, now it is a halfway stop when visiting relatives. Request a room in the back building if possible because of road noise, this trip I had to book an accessible room, two are available both in the front where it is very noisy, bed was not comfortable-- maybe need replace bed and pillows. Staff great, Breakfast good, Hotel very clean

Love staying here. Always a pleasant stay. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Staff is always helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and kept up. Pool is awesome always has clean pool towels. Breakfast is always good. Wouldn't bring my family anywhere else.

Simi Valley Unified had 9 bus drivers that stayed the night for Grad Night. The rooms were ready and available before check in time. The rooms were nice and clean. The drivers had to leave the hotel before 5 am to pick up the students. Ashley who was in charge of the Continental Breakfast had coffee, yogurt and fruit available for our drivers before they went to pick up the Grad Night students at Magic Mountain. The Continental Breakfast is scheduled to start at 6 am, but Ashley went above and beyond and had breakfast available for the drivers. We truly appreciate the extra efforts that Ashley provided.

Went for field trip with 8th graders. Rooms near freeway were very loud! Not bad a bit older in decor but had nice breakfast and coffee/tea/hot chocolate 24 hours. Staff was incredibly helpful, nice and funny! Went out of their way to help when Holiday Inn Express screwed up our reservation.

It was one of our best stay in the whole of USA. During check in, Nancy made it a breeze for us, not only was she friendly and welcoming. She managed to let us check in earlier, which help us save alot of time to continue our tight schedule. The room was clean and amazingly huge. The location was prefect, 7 mins to everywhere from mall to sixth flag.

Very clean hotel! Very close to restaurants and tons of shopping. Right next to 6 Flags amusement park . Rooms are large with new bedding. The maids work very hard to make sure your room is clean with plenty of towels. Front desk staff were great answered any questions we had . I love this hotel for the out door pool alone . Awesome pool and bathroom also a hot tub. The pool are is clean and stocked daily with clean pool towels. plenty of free parking. Breakfast was pretty good ,but if you get tired of it Denny's is 30 ft away form hotel.

We visit Six Flags Magic Mountain often and have stayed here only once, mostly for the convenient location. Our room was large and decently clean but we could hear the noise from the nearby freeway. The breakfast was mostly starchy and the room crowded so we skip eating at inn and went to the Dennys that is located just across the parking lot. We used the hot tub and it was a good temperature but very chlorinated. For the price and location this is a good spot if you're visiting Six Flags.

Not stayed in a hotel that provides earplugs! The reason is that Interstate 5 rushes past within 50yards of the hotel AND it runs all night. The noise in the room is not too bad. When you open the door it hits you. The area is dominated by Six Flags Magic Mountain so hotels charge a premium. Sadly the quality of this hotel is lacking. It is hidden behind Denny's and Holiday Inn so you may find it tricky to find. When I checked out the printer was not working for a receipt. It has been emailed but this is corrupted for some reason. Trying to find a way to email the hotel is proving difficult.

This was more like a cheap motel; cost $150 + tax. Staff was moody and not responsive. I insisted that the room was not acceptable and I had to check three rooms before I found one that was barely acceptable. Finally, one gentleman employee stepped up to the plate and directed me to an acceptable room. I believe that this place caters to a lower class clientele. I had made reservations two weeks earlier and this was my experience. The room was overpriced by about $30 for what it was. Freeway noise is quite loud no matter where I was on the property. I have stayed in Best Westerns many times, but this place simply did not live up to my expectations.

We stayed to go to magic mountain for the weekend. Staff is awesome although between check in and check out we didn't need them much. Breakfast room staff did a great job and facilities were in great shape. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. WIFI worked great in our room. Pool was a bit chilly and also hot tub but it was chilly outside and it is an outdoor pool. Had a great stay thank you.

Rooms are very dark, lighting needs to be improved, Road noise from Hiway 5 is loud enough to interrupt / disallow sleep. Hotel should seriously consider remodeling an add insulation to lessen road noise.

I checked in a little late in the evening and how convenience to have a Dennys almost in the same parking lot after checking in to my room and felt comfortable and logging on to the internet did a little work and went over to Dennys for dinner I was back in my room midnight. Just stayed a couple of nights in this hotel. Kind of hard to find, but in a good location. There is also a Holiday Inn Express in the same area and a Denny's restaurant which we utilized the last day we were there. Great location for Six Flags and there are several restaurants close by on either side of the highway. Only complaint that we had is that the electrical outlets didn't hold anything that was plugged into them. That was the only complaint and we did call the front desk to report this. We stayed on an upper floor and in the back as there is a lot of freeway traffic in the front of the buildings. Nice stay.

We needed a last minute place to stay...thought it would be too noisy being near the highway but it really wasn't! The workers we encountered were friendly, the breakfast was nice and there was always coffee and water available. The room we had was a nice size - no funny smells - and the shower was great :) Definitely recommend!

This was our second stay here and found it to be once again a pleasant and comfortable spot. The motel is right by highway 5 and, while the noise is loud outside, the rooms are really quiet. Both times our room was in the back, away from the highway and even with the window open there was no sound. They are clearly keeping up with best westerns standards. Very clean, everything in working order, crisp sheets on very comfortable beds.

My wife and I stayed here during our trip to Magic Mountain, and what a great little hotel! Close to the action, and great shopping centers are nearby. They had a well-maintained pool area that suited our needs just fine. A lady was complaining that they had no towels, but we had ours from our room, and the laundry service restocked them in plenty of time. I don't really see the complaints justified about this location, unless people are just high maintenance. The staff was very friendly, and the fresh items on the breakfast bar tasted good. A decent Denny's breakfast place is right across the parking lot (so, options!). We had no front desk delay checking in or out, even though they stayed quite busy, and that speaks to their efficiency and training. This place reminded me of a classic 80's motel that has been shown the proper care, and that attitude resonated from the staff to their customers! We'll be back again!

(Nancy was very helpful and nice. The lady who checked me into my room was the best of them all but I really cannot remember her name. Best hotel in area. Very close to Magic Mountain park. First of all, I normally don't rate hotels because it's truly unfair system. I understand people rely or seek advice of others. This hotel is tucked behind a hill on the east side of the freeway less than a mile from Magic Mountain. The staff was amazing! Everyone on the property greeted our family. It showed that they emphasize on customer service relations. The hotel was old, however had that comfy cabin feeling and didn't lose that hospitality image. The room is a bit old as I looked at the picture on the wall that told a brief history of Magic Mtn. This hotel needs a little make over. It's a true hidden gem next to Denny's restaurant which kids eat free on Tuesdays Btwn 4-10pm with a paid adult entree. Actually, there are numerous shops and restaurants near the hotel. The night was a little noisy because of the freeway but we slept great. Again we were greeted to a warm smiling customer service reps at the lobby. Breakfast had an oatmeal bar which I found intriguing. It had a decent warm breakfast which I wasn't expecting. As I looked on the wall I noticed 2 Diamond AAA rating. I was a bit taken back because I thought it was at least a 3 rating especially the service. This hidden gem can make 3 or 4 easily if it invested in it a little. Led lighting and new carpet can go a long way. All the pieces are there. This hidden gem can be much much more. Thank You BW!

rugs were dirty turn your feet black ! breakfast was terrible ! hot tub was broke ! no pool towels ! fridge didn't work was not worth 170.00 a night ! the only good thing about the place I guess is if your going to magic mountain its only about a mile ! we will never stay at this hotel again ! we were only a trip with our 10 year old granddaughter and she wouldn't even eat the breakfast served !

The staff at the front desk was super friendly and very helpful. They were very interactive with us about asking what our plans were for our stay. They gave clear instructions on where our room was located and also on how to use the wireless as well as any other amenities the hotel offered. The room was spotless and even better than I imagined. The beds were really comfortable. The breakfast served in the morning was great, there was lots of variety. Overall I was completely impressed with our stay here. Very happy I chose to spend a little extra money to be comfortable and have great service.

Although I was there on business, the hotel is very close to Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia. Within walking distance are a variety of places to eat, and a Starbucks.

Overall, this Best Western was on a par with others at which I have stayed. I travel on business about once every other month for several days and try to select Best Western because I am comfortable with their consistency. The only negative comment I have about this particular location is that it is right next to the freeway (I-5) and my room was quite a bit noisier than I had expected. Otherwise, the room and staff were very good.

The hotel staff are "wonderful" from management, to the front desk to maintenance to housekeeping. I can't say enough about "ALL" of them. I'm writing to address at this time two areas, maintenance (Victor) and housekeeping (specifically Gicela). Gicela has done a consistently wonderful job of seeing to our needs. She is always so happy, fast and complete in doing her job. The staff used on her days off are always cordial and respond very effectively. Victor as busy as he is, is always quick and helpful in resolving any issue.

This hotel needs its rooms updated and cleaned up. The carpet was stained . The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The refrigerator was not very cold and there was no thermostat adjustment. Likely to pick a different hotel next trip.

For the price paid, this motel was disappointing. I was expecting the ritz, but for the same price I could have received functional internet, a comfortable bed, and clean sheets. Positives I could mention are convenient location (right next to the freeway) and the staff was nice.

Rooms very noisy, no insulation between the rooms! People in room next door kept me awake from 3:00 am to 5:30 am. Yelling and talking over their Television. Would not stay here ever again in the future.

Easy to find, parking can be a challenge if you are in a long/large rig though there's overflow parking nearby. Rooms are standard BW fare with the usual features and benefits. Breakfast is also standard BW offering. Staff is very pleasant. There's quite a few places nearby for food. I've stayed here 4x in the past 12 mos; passing through. Last Nov their sprinkler system shot water all over my vehicle and left behind the worst hard water spots I have ever experienced; which had to be removed from the paint and glass by a professional detailer. After informing the hotel, the said how sorry they were. I make a point to never park near the landscaping here. This stay-over was really no different than all the last accept for the rate. My rates here recently have been: 3/2015= $94, 11/2015= $103 , 1/2016= $121, then the other day at $162.00...... I had called them direct, just a few hours in advance to make the reservation. Jennifer was cheerful and pleasant and set me up with no problems. However, I didn't ask "how much". Big mistake. Thing is, I've stayed at this BW often enough that I have come to expect a certain rate range. This last room rate was, on average, $56 bucks more than expected. I called them about it yesterday and the explanation I got was, "our rates are subject to change daily". Which was repeated when I asked, is there anything you can do? So, my choice of which hotel to use when passing thru Valencia is now ALSO subject to chance daily. Even though I am a "best-western-blue-blood", I guess I'll try out the HIE right next door. Still within walking distance of the Shrimp Haus Restaurant around the corner too!

Hotel staff was knowledgeable and very helpful, rooms were clean, pool was awesome especially after walking around all day! We came to enjoy Six Flags, this hotel was super close which made it easy to go back and forth. Breakfast was yummy and it was especially nice because they had lots of options.

This is an older Best Western with a "lodgy" feel. The location is just off Highway 5 so it is convenient, but you can definitely hear the traffic (didn't keep us from sleeping soundly). They have a large pool and hot tub which is nice. They also go out of their way to provide the little extras at breakfast. The staff was easy going, friendly and efficient. A bit pricey, but not out of range for the area.

Front desk clerk was rude, and unhelpful. Quoted amount charged to credit card was 50% more than confirmed email reservation and was charged as hold to credit card. This was resolved at checkout, but not without hassles. One bed was wet and smelled of urine. The room was not clean. Room had no dressers to store clothes. Jennifer the Asst. Manager was helpful, but too many issues. WE HAVE ALWAYS STAYED AT BEST WESTERNS WITHOUT CONSIDERATION FOR OTHERS. THIS EXPERIENCED HAS CHANGED THAT!!!!! "Clean & comfy but loud freeway"

The room was clean and comfortable and plenty of space. The hotel had a 70's vibe but has been updated. We liked the room decor and bed. The hotel is a stones throw from the I-5 fwy and you can hear the traffic and see it from the door. Our door had an obvious gap between the frame and the door which if fixed would cut down the noise considerably.

This property is older, very noisy (next to a busy freeway) and operated by a wonderful staff. Given it's proximity to a very popular theme park, it is expensive, but more affordable than expected. It was hard to find - you actually have to go through the Denny's driveway to get back to the hotel. I like many almost walked into the Holiday Inn next door thinking it was my BW property. Once there, the staff were nearly perfect, professional and attentive.

Not the cleanest hotel ever. Very poor reception area. Big rooms as per USA standards. Nice swimming pool opened at night. For some aspects it looks like a cheap motel. A bit noisy because is at the highway.

Granted we got in late and just needed a place to sleep. But if we'd known what we were getting for our one hundred and twelve dollars we would have kept driving. Room was dark and dingy. There was a sign in bathroom saying how well cleaned it was while it was not clean. Grout needed a good scrubbing, you could see drops of dried soup on the counter and there was a sticker off one of the previous occupants clothing on the wall. Too tired to go to the hassle to complain at front desk as we'd been up driving for hours. Breakfast buffet was out of eggs and syrup but when we mentioned this to them they replied there was sugar free syrup.

Easy access to Magic Mountain, the freeway, shopping center and it a pet friendly hotel. Loved that the kids where able to go have breakfast I got ready. Plenty of grass areas for the kids to play. BBQ area on property.

This is an older facility and there are little things in the rooms that need to be handled carefully, such a towel bars and electrical outlets. That said, the location just north of Los Angeles on i-5 makes it very convenient. The layout of the buildings make for a quiet rest. The breakfast room was large enough and offered a good selection of carbohydrate options. Cold boiled eggs are also available. A designated employee keeps the room clean. We will probably stay here again.

We have been staying at the Best Western/Valencia for over a decade. Yes, it needs a bit of touch up here and there - but it is the best value overall in the area! We have stayed in the town of Castaic to be a little closer to family, but the motels there are just that...motels. Run-down and dirty and not comfortable. So for us when we visit our family over the holidays or for summer we chose the Valencia Inn for the comfort, the value, and the wonderful people who work there. Over the years the employees have changed, but the wonderful attitude of all who represent this place has not. We need a downstairs room to avoid stairs and they always accommodate us. And every time we stay we are welcomed. This time we were welcomed by two very professional, yet very friendly young ladies at the desk - Michelle and Nancy! We thank them for their attention. Thank you everyone!

I do understand that this is a 2 diamond hotel and was the cheapest in the area but I felt very dirty staying here - not so bad in the sleeping area but the bathroom was dirty and had bugs crawling in it. I would not stay here again, I would pay a little more and stay down the street.

"Comfortable but in need of updating"

We checked in and the gal at the counter gave us a room at the back of the hotel as far away from the freeway and noise as we could get. We walked to our room, but noticed a case of empty Modelo beer bottles just outside the room door. On opening the door, we detected a faint odor of cigarettes, but on inspection, the room was very clean and the odor not bad so we stayed. The noise level was non-existent from other rooms and from the freeway, which was a relief as this hotel is popular with families visiting 6 flags amusement park. The wifi was very good and the breakfast the next day was good also. The breakfast staff was very quick to clean tables and get anything we asked for. Our only complaint was that the room was exceedingly dark, as there were only 3 lights and a very dim light in the bathroom. On check out the next day we were surprised to see the case of empty bottles still in the breezeway next to our room. Not sure if we would stay again or try the HI express right next door the next time.

"Close to freeway"

I liked this hotel. I shoved out an extra $30 for the night and actually felt safe at a hotel in Southern California for the first time, which as a female traveling by myself, it was nice to actually sleep through the night. The bed was super comfy. It wasn't overly plush, and it wasn't firm as bricks, but it felt nice. The shower head pumped out water at a good pace but it was ungodly loud. The freeway was literally right next to the hotel. I had a hard time hearing my mom on the phone as I walked my dog. It could be heard in the room, but the Windows do not face the freeway so that helps a lot with the noise. Everything seemed pretty clean! I'd be willing to stay here again.

This hotel looks OK from the outside and has a nice lobby and little breakfast area. However, the rooms feel very dated. They are very dark, none of my plugs would stay in their outlets, and the heat/cool unit is very loud. However, the staff was very nice. If you are just passing through or planning to spend all your time over at Magic Mountain, it's serviceable.

"New Years stay"

The room was fresh & clean, had old photos of Magic mountain rides in lobby and in the room. The staff were friendly. The hotel was in town and close to new years even, also had a few good restaurants near by. The room was a good size, could have been a bit brighter, but was fine for the night. Did not try the free breakfast, as the coffee shop down the street was what we opted for. Its an older building and the walls are not sound proof, a conversation with the couple next door could have been done without opening the door.

"Only choose for a 1 night, quick stay."

My family of 4 stayed for 1 night for our 1 day trip to Six Flags. It was our first time staying at this motel, we usually stay elsewhere but many of the hotels were booked because of New Years Eve. I figured I'd give this one a try since it mentioned it was recently remodeled. First the location. This motel is very close to Six Flags, which is a positive. However, it is directly on I5. In fact, the doors to your rooms are only separated by 2 lanes of parking spaces--the freeway is right there...absolutely no sound barrier. That is why I gave the location only 2 stars. If you are a light sleeper I could not recommend this location. Because of the layout of the room, our windows were on the back, away from the freeway, so that helped a bit. You can still hear the freeway inside the room. Luckily, we kept the fan to the A/C unit on all night which dampened the sound. The motel states online that the rooms were recently remodeled. They did update the decor, with new paint and bedding. The room was clean, spacious, the beds were comfortable and the carpet looked fine. The A/C unit worked great. However, they failed to scrape the 60s/70s 'popcorn' off the ceiling. That completely dates the room and should have been the first thing to go. The bathroom was separated with the sink/vanity and closet in one area (with carpet in front of the sink--yuck) and the toilet & bath/shower in another. The metal grab bar in the tub was rusting with the rust stain dripping down the shower wall. What was odd is that the motel only supplied ONE hand towel by the vanity and no washcloths. There were 4 bath towels. With 4 people in a room one hand towel is not sufficient! The breakfast was good, with hard boiled eggs, danishes, bagels, waffles, etc. We didn't spend a lot of time in this room other than to sleep after we got back from the park. If we had spent more time the negatives would have bothered me more. I would not choose this property again for more than a one-night stay. The price is too high for the room and its inferior freeway location.

Very very loud - our door didn't really shut properly and it meant we could hear the highway the whole night. Luckily we were super tired so slept anyway. Was probably the loudest place we have ever stayed in. Room was clean and tidy, and staff were nice :)

The noise is HORRENDOUS, right by freeway. Right across street from Six Flags, huge place and coffee is quite a distance from room if you stay at far end. Continental breakfast. Beds are very hard! Staff was excellent however! Be aware you cant get on freeway by room it is a jaunt to get to freeway.

Stayed during a week night and everything was fine except the freeway noise (Interstate 5). Stayed in #139 which faces, and is open to the freeway so the noise is audible inside the unit. With the TV on, you can barely hear the traffic noise but it is always there. So, I would suggest asking for a room farther away from the freeway if you elect to stay there. It is a pet friendly hotel so I'm not sure how many options you have regarding unit location. Staff was friendly and the dining room (breakfast) was fairly nice. Breakfast quality and selection is just OK. There is a Denny's right next to the hotel if you want to walk just a few steps to eat. The hotel is located near some excellent restaurants and a nice shopping mall (1-2 miles). I recommend BJ's on McBean off Magic Mountain Parkway. But there are many others nearby.

I have never stopped in Santa Clarita before and this was an interesting experience. The hotel reminded me of family vacations where we had to get 2 adjoining rooms. Will not stay again as they place pet friendly rooms along freeway section that has no sound wall barrier. Then give earplugs within the room with a complimentary note. A five cent earplug, and you drop $170 a night to listen to a roaring freeway.

This BW is a great Value! The people were wonderful and very helpful, the breakfast was a nice offering. The room was huge and the beds were comfy. I would not suggest this location for business travelers- the noise from the I5 was constant and the WifI was spotty.

NICE CLEAN ROOM; AMAZING STAFF; VERY PET FRIENDLY. The breakfast foods were unhealthy, and not enough vegan options. Too much sugar and animal fat, not enough vegetables. I choose to be compassionate in my eating, as do my family members, and we were only able to eat the fruit options. White bread? Time to move up to whole wheat, please. The breakfast room is too small, also.

Shower did not work, so I wasn't able to get clean for the day ahead. Since this is one of the most important items I expect to find in a hotel, it was an extremely uncomfortable day for me - not having been able to shower. I recommend that the hotel make sure ALL aspects of the room are working before booking guests in to a particular room.

Older hotel a classic, very nice quiet clean rooms. Great access to Los Angeles and the price is very reasonable. No frills hotel, good breakfast, great staff, no complaints. It is right off the highway so when outside a little noisy but the rooms are nice and quiet.

Employees were all very friendly. Hotel improvement: This BW is right beside I-5. Very loud. I know there is not much that can be done about the noise of the highway. If I stay there on my way back to AK I will ask for a room on the back side of the property. I stayed at 3 different BW hotels on this trip. The staff at this one was far more friendly & helpful.

Just stopped for a driving break as I have stayed here before. Great service at check in and out. Nancy greeted me with all smiles and a speedy check in and the same respect from a cheery Jessica on departure. I arrived at my destination in Baja Mexico to discover I had misplaced my back pack and called the hotel to check if I had left it in my room and those who looked for me were great in calling me back until I found my pack in my truck after all! "Wet feet said something was wrong"

The hotel is old, dark and musty, felt a little creepy. But when we got ready for bed and took off our shoes, we found the problem when we stepped out o bed. The whole carpet was wet! Apparently they had shampooed the carpet earlier in the day but had not allowed for time to dry. And they had left dirty towels from previous guests on the shelf above the closet.

The hotel was right next to the freeway so we had highway noises all night, and the hotel it-self was very dated. Though the management team does try to keep everything clean, the wear/tear on the facility is just too much. The lighting throughout the entire property inside and out is too weak, which made two women travelers very nervous walking up stairwells in the dark and the rooms pretty spooky.

This was our second stay at Best Western Valencia (CA) this year. It has a beautiful pool, larger than many, is private and surrounded with lovely grass and trees. Towels provided poolside. All the hotel staff was unusually friendly, especially the breakfast servers. Breakfast is pretty typical (waffles, fruit, bagels, small pastries and cereal) but the coffee and choice of creams was good. Rooms are spacious with both microwave and frig. Free internet. Our room was very clean and and seemed freshly remodeled. The shower head was great, surprising us a little considering the water shortage, but very enjoyable. Slept like babies on the comfortable bed. We travel with our small dog, and they have very clean/larger-than-usual places to walk your dog. Unlike other hotels, rooms have no hint of animals, obviously the result of thorough cleaning. Location is close to the highway with easy access and just a couple of minutes from Magic Mountain. Main roads are also close, fast and go straight into main shopping and residential areas. We have family that just moved to Valencia and we have no desire to try any other hotels.

At the time of check in Nancy make me feel very special and welcome. Since I am a BW Platinum member she went out of her way to see we had a room away from the freeway noise. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast bar had several choices. It is easy off and on the freeway. We needed something from housekeeping and they brought it within about 5 minutes of my phone call. Best service I've ever had. We were just there for the night so didn't sight see or go to Magic Mountain.

Check in was somewhat friendly, the rooms were clean, and I enjoyed the vaulted ceilings in the room. This is a perfect location and great value if you are visiting Six Flags Magic Mountain. The only complaint was that breakfast was sub par, so we ate at the Denny's within walking distance of the hotel. The room was clean, and beds were comfortable. The pool and hot tub was very nice and areas were kept clean. As a travel agent, I would recommend this property.

"Bad Manager"

When two people over the phone 24 hours in advance from my stay tell me that my room will be ready around 9:00 for check in and it's not ready until 11:30 it's ok....no big deal. By the way Joey at the front desk said with a snicker "we never have rooms ready at 9:00" and looked at me like I was joking. When I find out that you have a courtesy shuttle going to Six Flags Theme Park when I book, and then are told that it's only for the Summer (which was not told to me prior) we have a problem. When I ask the Hotel Manager for a $40.00 discount because that's what it will now cost me to park at said theme park, and she refuses, stating "the shuttle is run by the city it has nothing to do with us", and "you booked it through our call center so they don't know when the shuttle service ends for the year" we have a person who does not belong in that position. By the way your rooms were booking for $100.00 yesterday and today, she could have easily gave it to me for $110.00 but again she refused. I did not stay with you this time but otherwise have had no problems any other time with Best Western until now.

Just spent one night here after spending a long day at Six Flags Magic Mountain. The location was just down the hill from the park. The check in process was pleasant. The room was large (on 2nd floor so had a high ceiling) and clean. The bathroom was basic but clean and functional. The shower was high enough and had plenty of water pressure. The breakfast was the typical cereal, fruit, waffles, yogurt, toast, bagels, juices, milk, coffee and tea. There were multiple workers there keeping the items replenished and the tables cleaned. Any employee that I dealt with was very pleasant and helpful. The only negative thing I can think of is that it is close to the freeway therefore, a little noisy. I didn't notice it much unless the door was opened. Overall, I definitely would be a repeat customer if we needed a motel in that area.

We enjoyed our stay. I had a high school reunion on Saturday and the location of the motel was close by. Also, we went and saw our property in the Oak Hills area of Hesperia. After talking to a realtor there, we are happy to see that that area is growing. Motels and hotels along with a golf course are in the works. The Best Western in Sana Clarita was a great location for our visit.

The hotel staff were super friendly, checking in and out was easy. Rooms was clean and bed was comfortable. Great breakfast and nice pool area. Location was great, right across the street from Six Flags and right off Hwy 5. What more could you want in a hotel for a night or two?

Had a great time visiting California. Ocean front was beautiful. Traffic was horrible. Spent time with family. Hotel services at the Best Western was very good. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast area was neat and clean. Would recommend they serve eggs and a side of breakfast meat. Wish we could have stayed longer. Would stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.
