We're more than a "college town," because our Tully hotel may be nestled close to Syracuse University and Suny Cortland University, but there's much more to discover here. Many of our guests are winter birds who are here for the incredible skiing and snowmobile trails. Our property is also situated near Skaneateles, a historical town full of charm, hospitality and some fantastic dining and shopping options. From weddings and sports teams to romantic getaways, we'll work with you to ensure you have the best trip possible. If you have business at Ithaca or Cornell University, it's easy to get to campus from our Tully hotel. Of course, we're also close to Syracuse and Cortland, and cater to a number of students, faculty and staff year-round. Syracuse University football and basketball games always draw a crowd, and college graduations mean a busy spring in this region. Cazenovia College is also nearby, and blocked rooms are available for graduation groups. Make sure to stop by the New York State Fair for some legendary treats, and the State Parks are always an option for those looking for a little recreation. Whether you're here for business at Aldi Warehouse or you simply want to get away from it all, we're proud to offer the best in service and quality. Truckers count on us to be a home away from home, and with Tully Hill nearby, their employees are also regular guests. You'll be just 30 minutes away from Syracuse Hancock International Airport, so a connecting flight is easy. Luxurious bedding awaits, and the friendliest staff in town is committed to making you feel like part of the family. Book your Best Western Tully Inn room today for the best value in the region! « Just fine »

We needed a pet friendly motel while visiting family on Thanksgiving. This place filled the bill. We did not spend much time here. But the rooms were clean and breakfast was a notch above the standard fare. It featured good eggs and sausage. And the coffee was decent. I would sty there again.

    « Dirty Rooms »

Housekeeping needs to step up their game and put more effort into cleaning the rooms. Management needs to look at the rooms and make sure housekeeping does their job! I was not happy with the amount of dust in the room. Free breakfast is offered. But when cold eggs are served, one might opt for a better place to eat. Staff is friendly. But they need to step up their game.

    « will return »

We werent sure about hotel when we looked on line... There's not to much in that area for hotels or restaurants..took a chance .. hotel was clean and beds were good.. breakfast free.. wasn't bad.. sausages, eggs, waffle maker.. basic but overall if needed we'd stay again

    « It's Fine For A Night »

The strange thing about Best Western hotels is that all of them are not created equally. Some are beautiful budget hotels that you'd be happy to stay for weeks, others are fine for a single stop, but lack some of the quality. The Best Western in Tully is not the worst Best Western I've ever stayed at, but it really needs a few pick me ups before it ranks in the upper level of budget hotels. The rooms are clean, but very plain, one shampoo and two soaps for two guests, acquit but not optimal. The breakfast had a decent selection but you were eating off paper plates and using plastic utensils. The staff was around at breakfast time but no one was actually manning the breakfast room. It was a little sad, and very wasteful. The staff itself was fairly friendly, however they rarely said anything to you unless you said something first, even hello or good morning. These are really nit picky comments and if you're just looking to spend a night it's a perfectly fine hotel.

« A Bad Day turns into a Great Night »

After a bad experience at another hotel we got a room at this location. We were realy tired and hungry. Ther front desk clerk was great. She inquired about our other hotel and apologized for what we had to go through. She recommended a local restuarant that turned out to be excellent ! The beds and especially the pillows were extremely comfortable. The whole place was clean and well maintained . On overnight trips we will only use Best western for now on.

« Poor Internet, Poor Access »

This was our second visit to this hotel. Our last visit did not go well but because the location works well for us we gave it another try. No improvement was noted. The single luggage cart was apparently 'being used by someone else' for the first half-hour we were there. Entrance doors had no auto/power-open function making getting in or out with luggage challenging. Fortunately neither of us were using walkers or in wheelchairs. The bedside clock was a half-hour off from the correct time. Our 3 year old up-to-date Win7 Lenovo laptop with an up-to-date Chrome browser was unable to log into this wi-fi system. Even the front desk clerk could not get it to work. We eventually were able to log in by using an old Firefox browser. This situation does not occur at any of the dozen or so other BWs that we stay in each year. This was a problem at this hotel last year as well. Enough is enough - we will try Johnson City on our way north in the spring.

    « Nice getaway! »

Room was exceptionally clean. Good selection of TV channels including HBO. I enjoyed the breakfast and the overall atmosphere of the room and hotel. Front Desk and housekeepers were very helpful and courteous. This is the 2nd time I have been here and I will probably return to stay again as a night getaway.

    « Not good »

Not good at all pay attention: no elevator!!! Too expensive for a poor thing. The sink was out of the bathroom. Not clean ant a bit old. Not the best location. Regular breakfast. We expected more from best western.

« Only Hotel in town, so sad »

This hotel needs an overhaul. The room was decent with the exception of the dirty carpet and FILTHY floor. Makes one wonder about the rest of the cleaning of the room. Over all just nasty. Had to stay here, it was the only hotel in town and the venue we were attending for a wedding was 15 minutes down the road. So convenient it was, but just not nice.

« Clean, convenient and nice breakfast »

Stopped here on the road home. Clean, close to the highway and had a reasonable breakfast. Coffee was no good, but there's a Starbucks close by. The only downside is that there is no elevator which can be a problem if you have heavy suitcases and aren't young and fit (I'm neither).

« Decent Hotel for an Overnight Stay »

Stayed here while visiting friends nearby -- and of course there are not many other options in this area. The hotel staff was very friendly, the room average and not particularly updated, the breakfast just ok. I was a little disappointed because the rate wasn't exactly a bargain. The motel is just off the highway, there is a Burger King nearby and the convenience store next door has some food options such as pizza.

« Nice Plece to Stay »

We stayed one night after a 12 hr day of driving. Check in was quick and the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. We had no complaints during our stay. Noticed some people picking rocks on the hill on the backs side of the hotel and found out they were picking fossils out of the shale. We found some and were done within 10 minutes. I guess it is a common place for people to find them and without digging, too.

    « I would return »

On a recent trip to Syracuse we didn't want to drive into the city until morning. This was a one night stay. The hotel looks recently updated. Everything was very clean and looked like the hall carpet was fairly new. The room was clean and also looked like it was recently updated. I saw other reviews about the bathroom being too small. However, what they don't say is that the sink is outside the bathroom. All that is in there is a toilet and shower. There is plenty of room in there. There is no pool here and I didn't see a workout room. I didn't ask though since I was only staying overnight. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of room to sit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

    « Not Worth It »

Vey disappointed. Stayed 1 night for a family wedding and was also celebrating our wedding anniversary. Checked in to a dirty bathroom which had garbage in the trash cans from previous guest, dirty towels still in bathroom from previous guest and no soap etc. Had to leave for wedding let front desk know they just took the garbage and gave us soap. NEVER cleaned the bathroom. After wedding went back to hotel now over 40 people get off shuttle to hotel and we were the majority of the guest staying there we were greeted by the lovely night manager who said if we did not quite down she was calling the law enforcements. This point everyone was in total shock. Then we ask this lovely manager where can we order pizza to feed this group as like stated above we were there celebrating a wedding she said she did not know and pointed us to the gas Station next door. I am extremely disappointed in this stay and will be contacting the GM and if they do not want to listen will contact best western Corp. They are the only choice in the area and for $180 a night we should have been treated with respect and at least a clean room. Shame on you Best Western.

    « overnight stay »

lovely quiet hotel. Clean room and comfortable beds. and clean bathroom. friendly staff ( who we witnessed first hand, handling a difficult customer!) Breakfast was good and a nice selection of fruit .

« Unprofessional staff, cleaning crew didn't clean »

Red neck staff and extremely unprofessional. We paid an extra charge for the dog and the staff never vacuumed the floor. The complimentary personal products (soap, lotion, shampoo, creme rinse) never replenished during the 4 day stay. I love Best Western Hotels but this one gets a major thumbs down

    « Friendly & Convenient »

There are very few choices in the area - in fact, none others for literally miles and miles - so it's great that this one is as comfy and welcoming as it is. Front desk staff is always very pleasant, rooms are on the nice side of average. And you get breakfast!

    « Clean, Comfortable »

Checking in and out was easy and fast. Breakfast had both hot and cold items. Room was clean, bed comfortable and bathroom clean. Only issue was torn curtains and a hair in the bathtub, both of which are not showstoppers. Large parking lot. No restaurants within walking distance but there are a few a short drive away. Hotel is just off the highway so has easy access. I would stay here again when in the area.

« Great Location for Motorcycling »

We were in town for the after-party of a wedding and this was the closest hotel to party central. Normally, we come to this area to visit friends and we bring our motorcycles because the roads are good, they are curvy, and the countryside is gorgeous. The Finger Lakes and their tourist attractions are within easy riding distance. Cooperstown is the other way but still within a days (and back) ride. The parking lot of the hotel is designed to allow trucks with trailers, making this aspect handy. We'll be going back.

    « Quiet Location »

Situated in a small town past Syracuse, this hotel served us nicely. There was a small Quick N Easy market next door which provided us a small bite as everything else was closed for Independence Day. Small issue with a leftover dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door which the maid must have overlooked. Free breakfast and parking are a bonus. If you get a chance, drive through the towns of Homer and Cortland.

« Adequate hotel for a pit stop while on the road »

Just completed a one night stay at this hotel while we were on the road. The hotel adequately met our need of a place to get a decent night's sleep during a road trip. The hotel is located is right off interstate 81 and is reasonably clean with comfortable beds. Be aware that if you are assigned a room on the second floor, this hotel does not have an elevator so you will be schlepping your luggage up a flight of stairs. The internet is free, but was very slow with an unstable connection. The hotel offers free breakfast, but be prepared to carry your food back to your room as the breakfast room only has four tables. The eggs were horrible, but at least they had a waffle maker and decent pastries. This hotel is good for a night pit-stop and nothing more or less. Don't expect anything special.

    « "Great Accommodations" »

Great size rooms and delicious breakfast. We spent one night here and were very pleased. Easy access and very friendly staff. Air conditioner worked great but was a bit noisy. Would recommend to anyone looking for a reasonable place to stay.

« Definitely met my needs »

This Best Western was clean, comfortable and accomadating. The staff was welcoming and congenial. I only spent one night here and would definitely recommend it. It was easy to get on and off Route 81 which made it easy to get here. This hotel is close to Syracuse if you are interested in getting there and back easily.

« Perfect resting place right off I81! »

The Best Western Tully Inn was the perfect place to stop for a rest. The location is right off I81, easy off and easy on. It is a little older but was clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Breakfast had several choices and you could create your own waffle. The staff were friendly and ready to assist with anything you needed.

    « Clean and Comfortable »

Had the opportunity to stay at the Best Western in Tully, NY The hotel was as expected. Room clean and spacious. Breakfast was included and was acceptable. Very easy from Highway - Quick on and off. A less expensive choice from hotels in Cortland during graduation time! About 15 min away.

    « landing pad »

good place to check in, sleep, have a good breakfast, do what you do around Syracuse and come back to a nice, quiet hotel that is very easy to get o with lots of free parking. Pharmacy and convenience store next door with fuel.

« Old but very good »

It is a old Best Western but it is clea and comfortable. Reception and attention is excellent Breakfast is good and the room is big I liked the toilet in a room by itself so you can use the sink for other use The price is very good compare to others, it is expensive in New York state

    « Nice stay »

We stayed here while my daughter's college softball team had games in the area. (The team stayed here, too) Nice, large rooms, clean and very quiet, typical hotel breakfast. Very close to the highway, too. Only two floors, no elevator. That would be the only drawback.

    « Tully Trip »

excellent hotel, efficient check in, only stayed one night as this was last stop before heading home.breakfast was very amble hot items good selection, only complaint bed was too soft. Would stop in again on my travels.

    « Great value hotel »

We stayed at this location for one night during a trip to the Finger Lakes. The location was very convenient right off the highway. The hotel was clean and looks like it had been recently updated. This was a no frills hotel and did not have as many amenities as other Best Westerns we have stayed in. The hotel only offered a conditioning shampoo and soap in the bathroom. Even though the hotel looks recently updated, the acoustics were horrible. You could hear doors slamming and other guests conversations while behind closed doors from our room and the hallway. A plus for some guests is that this hotel is pet friendly. Overall this hotel is very convenient to the highway and is a great value, especially with the complimentary breakfast.

« This could have been a Five »

This hotel is indicated as 'Pet Friendly'. I take that to mean you can bring your pet provided it does not make a mess and does not annoy the guests. In the early evening there was about a half hour of dog yapping. We were about mid-way down the corridor and it sounded like the yapping was coming from somewhere near the entrance. It was annoying but we figured the folks had just arrived and the dog would settle down. We turned up the TV volume and it eventually did. At about 6am however the yapping started up again and woke us up. We figured the folks were packing up and heading out and it would soon stop, but it did not. After about a half hour of this I called the desk and in response to the clerk asking if she could help me I told her Yes! Shut that dog up! I heard no response from her and I stayed on the line for about five minutes then concluded she had hung up on me. The yapping continued for about another half hour, then stopped. When we went to breakfast my wife asked the clerk about the yapping and her response was to the effect that since were so far from the dog it should not have bothered us. My wife could think of no response to that statement. Everything else was great! Clean, comfortable, good wifi & TV, great breakfast, etc. And we ARE dog lovers, we just do not care for folks who do not train or look after their dogs when out in public.

« Excellent stay in Tully, NY! »

We chose this hotel rather than staying directly in Syracuse. It was late at night but the reception was very accommodating and pleasant. The lobby is quite quaint and the room was very nice and clean. The breakfast had a decent assortment and the coffee was good. I would definitely stay at this Best Western should the opportunity arise again.

    « satified »

very nice staff. nice hotel.... convenient location.... would stay again. just wish all hotels , not just BW would stop using styrofoam cups and plates... bad for environment and toxic when heated. for all the hotels in the world they could make a difference to helping the planet.

« Decent Place to Crash for a Night or Two »

This is pretty much your standard hotel; my King Bed room (115) was spacious for sure - also had cable TV, mini fridge, shower and A/C control. The room was clean for the most part. If you have had one standard continental breakfast you have had them different here. Cereal, coffee, toast, muffins and a waffle maker pretty much. Just enough to get you going though so it works. I would stay again under the same circumstances (out of town for work) in the future.

    « Continues to improve »

I have been here a few times in the past four years. Improvements have been steady and I can say this is a much improved facility from four years ago. It can be a bit overpriced in high season five that's the angle of an innkeeper. Certainly would recommend this facility.

    « Nice location »

Easy quick check-in and check out. The bill was accurate. Very comfortable bed, quiet room for sleeping, clean and nearby my intended work location. They recommended several good dining locations and helpful with directions.

« Good place to stop overnight »

I stopped here on my way from Maryland to Canada for one night. The hotel has been updated since my last stay. The rooms are clean. Mine was very quiet. Besides knowing the hotel, the reason I chose it was the ease with which you can get on and off I-81. You can't beat it for the price. Great value!

    « comfortable for a nights stay »

We had a king bed room and it is spacious. There doesn't seem to be an elevator to get to the 2nd floor while I didn't ask for one we were directed to the stairs. Bathroom stocked well. Good tv. The buffet was just okay it had hard boiled eggs, sausage and egg mcmuffins that you could heat up. Waffle maker, etc. Typical continental breakfast. The deli beside the hotel is amazing and it is a gas station/grocery store.

« Pets welcome - nice hotel just off the I81 »

We have stopped here before and still enjoy our stay. We travel with a small dog and are constantly looking for nice, clean hotels - this Best Western is top on our list of spots to stay in NY state. Reception desk is always polite and helpful, rooms clean and bathroom well stocked, beds comfortable, Free WIFI & small fridge. Continental Breakfast included and very good.

« An okay place for an overnight »

This Best Weatern was clean and the bed was comfortable. I could tell that this was an older hotel like from the 70's of not earlier. However they've tried to modernize it a bit. The hallway smelled of paint. Check in and out was smooth. Breakfast was self serve and just enough to get my day going. This hotel is not luxury but convenient.

« End of Nov 2015 as I was traveling to Rochester NY »

Nestled up in the mountains off the highway I found this gem of a Hotel Best Western. Immediately upon entering the lobby @ about 7:30pm I was greeted very warmly from Cynthia the desk clerk, very pleasant lady who got me checked in rather quickly. As I observed the surroundings what a pleasant cozy feeling (a comfortable warmth inside temp) I got and very clean. I inspected the breakfast area off the lobby, and to my surprise it offers more than just bread products. From fresh hard boiled eggs to meat, egg and cheese croissants fresh fruit several juices and yogurts. Once in my room I noticed the temp was set at a very comfortable setting already. Which made it easy to remove my coat without being cold. Room very clean, well equipped with all the incidentals one finds in a good hotel. I had a King size bed that was a dream of a bed, and what a perfect rest I got. WiFi is so easy to connect to just plug in n go. What really impressed me is right next door is a fully stocked mini delicatessen and grocery/gas store making it very convenient. I'd stay here my whole wk vacation if I didn't have to leave this morning, will come again next yr

    « Michele »

The hotel staff was excellent and extremely friendly. Upon check in the lady at the front desk gave us a recommendation for a place to eat "Sweet Basil", the food was awesome. I would go back to that hotel just to eat there again. Room was fine for a quick stop over on our way to Oswego. Breakfast was great. Would definitely stay here again.

    « Another good 18 wheeler stop »

Had reservations, arrived a day early, no problem. Easy 18 wheeler parking, clean hotel nice folks working there. Nice & Easy (the actual name) Deli next door also a fuel stop with 5 or 6 18 wheeler spots there. Had to lay over there for 3 days, wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

« Friendly, Clean, Price is right »

Friendly, Clean, Price is right. We arrived Late and left early. Ate in the hotel. Breakfast food was OK, Fresh fruit and sweets are great. Eggs, and meats are eatable at best. Nothing more to say. We travel a lot and we like Best Western the best.

    « Quaint and Clean »

Easy access to Rt81. Clean and comfy rooms. Caring service. Peaceful surroundings. Staff gives personal touch with a committed attitude. Rooms are spacious and I especially enjoyed the whirlpool tub after a long day on my feet!

« College drop off pit stop »

For a place to stay overnight on the way to dropping your student at college, this hotel is reasonably priced and conviently located (to Syracuse University and vicinity). The room was a lot better than the hallway appearance and smell would have initially given to believe. Just a basic place to stay when everywhere else is booked. Sweet Basil was a great recommendation for a restaurant, just down the street from the hotel.

    « pleasure trip »

rooms were reasonably clean..need a decor update..strong cooking odor in second floor hallways although no odor in rooms..price reasonable...gas station and groceteria next door..great shopping in syracuse just 20 minute drive up interstate 81

« Ok - loud and some problems »

This hotel is clean, has a decent breakfast, and is right off the highway. However, we found it very loud (we were on the first floor and had asked for a quiet room). In addition, our shower did not drain, which meant that only one person in our family got a shower and the remote control did not work.

    « Tully not Cortland »

This hotel lists itself as Cortland/Tully. Well, its not close to Cortland . It is actually closer to Syracuse. The hotel was outdated and showing it's age. The rooms were ok. The bed sqeeked and was a bit soft. The shower was actually good and the water hot. The coffee maker didnt work . Overall it was ok.

« Good Room, Poor Service »

Jeez, the people that work there need more sleep! Room was nice as it had been recently redecorated, Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was OK. People there seem like they are running on empty. Just a good room, nothing much more I can say.
