Best Western Troy Hotel

It is a nice freeway motel. The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and clean. The ac/heater worked. The room had a refrigerator and a coffee maker. A nice place to stop. There was a room full of elephants in the room above me. The facility wasn't full. They could have given me a room with no one above.

The staff were all very friendly, pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean. We were staying for a family get together so we arrived around 3 pm and checked in. We went to our family party and returned around 7 pm. Both times entering the hotel we were greeted pleasantly. We left early the next morning and the person at check out was also very friendly.d

If you planning to visit St. Louis this place is just 14-15 miles away from St. Louis airport. Troy junction you will get Taco Bell just a walk in, Gas Stations, pitzza and almost all food giant brands all near by. You name it You got it. I like this junction and BW is the one of the best place to stay over for me..!

This is an older hotel. Nothing fancy but perfectly adequate. The price was low and the staff very friendly. We did not swim because the pool looked murky. The bathroom was a little run down but clean and functioning. Room had a microwave and a fridge. Location was easy to find, right off of I55. Overall, perfectly acceptable and affordable.

The shower had mold on the ceiling and the paint was bubbling throughout the room, not much of selection for breakfast. The rooms need to be updated. No cleaning service was done throughout my stay of more than 2 days.

If I could I would rate this less than 1 star. It was just sooooooooo dirty. Outside looked clean but when you enter the room, it was dirty, stains on wall, including blood stains, stains on towel, dirty toilet bowls, and undrainable tub. There was also this awful smell of mildew when entering the room.

We recently stayed here while visiting family in Troy, IL. I would never stay here again. The good: 1) Convenient location right off the freeway in Troy 2) It is close to a good BBQ joint, Fire N Smoke. The Bad: 1) There was hardly ever anyone at the front desk. The hotel is very understaffed. 2) Tiny murky swimming pool 3) they keep giving us defective keycards 4: the hallway smells bad The Ugly: 1) They run out of hot water at night. This happened to me on two nights. When I called the front desk, they acted like I was the only one with the problem and said they could not do anything until the morning. However, I noticed that they had a huge new uninstalled water heater sitting in the lobby for 5 days (which means they knew about the hot water issue). 2) the breakfast is really bad. It's the exact same bad food every single day with no variation. They have bagel with no cream cheese, biscuit, sausage and cold gravy, and powder eggs every single day. There's no fruits whatsoever.

Overall I'll say the rooms weren't terrible. But it wasn't great. Booked because they were cheap and our suite had bunk beds for our kids. The bunk beds are cheap and creak horribly due to the cheap metal frame. The top has no railing so my kids didn't even end up using it for fear they'd roll off. So they took the bottom bunk and other bed. The remote for the main room tv did not work. You could turn it on but the channel buttons on the tv itself did nothing so you watched the weather channel or nothing. Our key cards had to be constantly reprogrammed as they were good for one, maybe 2 uses before it wouldn't open the door anymore. Each time they said they didn't know why it was happening as my reservation was still active. Breakfast was slim pickings. They were careful to have just enough available, and when they ran out of something it took them forever to warm up whatever microwaveable food they were trying to pass off as cooked meals. The pool is smaller and is very chlorinated. Our toilet was clogged when we checked in, and when we said something at the front desk they just handed my wife a plunger and told her to let them know if it didn't work. The guy who checked us in was very nice and helpful. The rest of the staff has gone out of their way to avoid helping and our second day they had no one at the desk for most of the evening with a sign asking people who needed help To call a number. It just felt Like a place Trying to run as cheaply as possible to squeeze every dollar into their pockets

Ashli and Reggie are the front desk people. They are awesome. That was best part. Mattresses are horrible. Water pressure none and feels like hard water. If you stay two nights, they don't clean your room or supply. You have to do that. Ice machine was moldy. People above us had toddlers that stomped back and forth all evening. Then they were up at 5 a.m. Told over night guy, but didn't help.

Staff was friendly and nice. Spoke with my children and I and made us feel at home. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. Hot food and coffee. My kids played in the pool. The hallway areas were well lit and everything was in working order.

This is a hard review to write. First off, the staff are all very good and put a lot of effort out. The problem is the hotel itself. It feels like it's in sort of a death spiral. Prices are low (and yes, you get what you paid for) so there is limited money for repairs, which means the hotel won't support higher prices and on and on. There are just a lot of small repairs that need to be made such as damage to drywall, shower rod is not flat so the curtain won't stay open.....so moisture gets every where and damages the drywall. Breakfast was fine. No pancakes/waffles...there's a spot for a machine, but I assume it's broken too. The pool was fine, but the door to the outside wouldn't stay closed, so someone had shoved a bunch of cloths (sheets?) In front of it to keep it closed. And they looked pretty gross, catching water. Again, it's an inexpensive hotel. The staff works hard, but they are working with limited resources.

The only reason I gave this 2 stars was because the front desk did everything in their power to try to polish a turd. I've stayed at lower class hotels that had better standards. Towels were paper thin, there were cobwebs across the room and the corners, TV remote didn't work, bathtub stopper would not hold water not to mention the 1x4s holding up the bathroom vanity. This hotel has a lot of potential if someone were to come in and actually take care of it

Travelling on business, so great rates, quick in and out, close to highway, are all important. I use only the basic business amenities: internet, maybe the fitness room (usually very early of late). Rooms were very clean, quiet, and comfortable.

I live in a rowdy neighborhood so I like to take my grandsons away from it during these holidays when people shoot guns and make too much noice. The hotel was a refreshing and quite get away with pleasant staff.

While traveling back home we encountered some winter weather so decided to stop for the night earlier 5an planned. We arrived without a reservation and the desk clerk put us in a nice 1st floor room. Everything was clean and in good working order. Nice hot breakfast to start our day. Overall a good stay.

We recommend this property with confidence. Great room and bathroom, amenities, and cleanliness. Comfortable bed and plenty of pillows and device recharging spots. The breakfast room was bright, trendy, and comfy. Breakfast offerings were varied and delicious.

Pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel is. It is older and was the only hotel available near where I needed to be, so I was a bit leary about the condition that I might encounter. It was updated, and had no unpleasant odors. The noise level was good; I had no idea how many kids were staying at this hotel until I saw them at breakfast in the morning. Highly recommend.

I have yet to have a bad experience with Best Western. They are a little more expensive than what I usually pay, but they are worth every penny. This is a really nice place, all new furnishings, comfortable, quiet, Keurig coffee maker in the room, and everything worked perfectly!

Avg spot to stay, rooms are ok and bed comfortable. The staff could be friendlier or more attentive st check in to customers. Breakfast was just bare basics. Like a little more selection of items like fruit and cereals.

The pool was open, the jets weren't working so there was no filtration. The water was green and looked like it had pond scum. When we left a little girl and dad were going to actually swim in it! The tv was a joke. No HDMI cable. The satellite cable was plugged from tv to box, not box to wall!?!? First and second cable box didn't work. Poor employee did EVERYTHING he could. He was even on the phone with tech support the last time he tried. After 5 try's enough was enough. The employee was kind and as frustrated as us, several times he offered us the last room to switch to, but it was 1 king and a broken jacuzzi tub, we stayed in the double with no tv. The whole place was dirty and run down, except for the beds the chair and bed skirt on one bed were stained. Wallpaper was coming off in hallway, tiles in the bathroom were broken sharp enough to cut flesh, the franchise should be pulled! All in all, I wouldn't suggest this place to my worst enemy.

The room smelled damp. The AC made loud clanging noises, which made it difficult for the kids to sleep. The room could have been much cleaner. It was not thoroughly vacuumed. The breakfast options were just okay. Overall, the hotel was less than fine.

Best breakfast on our trip, rooms very clean and comfortable, very friendly staff. Will definitely stay here again. Very accommodating staff at check-in, we reserved accidently for the previous day but they were very understanding about it.

We were looking for a clean, reasonably priced hotel close to St. Louis for our family weekend trip. We had never stayed in Troy before so we were taking a chance. The hotel was nice, the staff was friendly, and it was an easy drive to downtown St. Louis.

The room was quiet and relaxing. We ate at the Cracker Barrel across the street, which was within walking distance. We had breakfast the next morning. Everything looked clean, but not new. I enjoyed my stay, and I would stay there again.

Stay far far away from this hotel. The night staff were super nice and friendly but the room? Wow. Electrical hazard, toilet isn't stable, the sink counter is held up with two pieces of wood and piece of sheet rock on the other side. Look under the counter the plumbing is scary itself. The tub? It's something you'd see from 3 decades ago. Need shampoo? Forget it, you'll need to go up to the front desk to ask for it. Book a room? Don't count on getting it as you won't get the room you booked. Then in your non booked room, the pull out couch? You'll likely need to tear off the gross cover and hope there's bedding otherwise you'll need be back up at the front desk(luckily the manager was on site and happened be in the room notice they bedding wasn't there). I strongly recommend you don't look under the couch. No one moves it to vacuum it. Towels? We had towels but two of the towels had stains on them. Don't expect fresh pillow either. The rooms are supplied with old pillows. Next let's talk about the wash cloth hanger, yeah that was broken to.. the room really needed far more detailed cleaning then it gets. The room didn't have any smell bad as other reports stated prior to my review. Breakfast? Breakfast was mediocre at best. The breakfast area needs some attention as well as the equipment. I'm assuming the manager was who happened to be on site(05/28/2022) I will say she was super friendly and very customer satisfaction focused, along with the gentleman who checked us in. I really enjoyed speaking to both as neither gave negative attitude or nasty attitude. The manager also was taking notes and looked at things pointed out to her. Overall, I won't recommend anyone to this hotel but i again want to highlight the friendly night staff. For the future, I hope they have name tags so that if I ever stay here again I may leave a better more positive review to hopefully mention them once again!

You definitely can't beat it for the price! Out room was clean, and the bed was comfy, the shower curtain was little short… but it worked. Breakfast was not extraordinary, but it was hot and the eating area was very clean!

I've stayed here numerous times when I visit family. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are always clean and tidy. The location is conveniently located near restaurants as well as the highway.

Friendly, efficient staff at this Best Western hotel made for a pleasant stay. Almond milk was an appreciated breakfast option for dairy free. Convenient location. Would stay again if visiting the Troy area.

I give this hotel a zero. I traveled from Atlanta to Troy for a funeral so emotions were already on high. I was greeted with here's your key, you're on the 3rd floor. I asked if my 2nd room was close or connected with the 1st and was told no they're on opposite ends of the property. I wouldn't have been upset except that I specifically called that hotel and was told the suites were across the hall from each other. So I asked if we could change to adjoining rooms that were doubles with a sofa or something and was told that if I had asked for that earlier....ugh. Then when I got to the room it smelled and had a hole in the ceiling. I tried to call the front desk on the phone and the phone had no dial tone. The manager came to my room and told me that this room wasn't ready to rent and they hadn't had phones for years. Years?? How would someone call for assistance? 911? Just awful. He told me to talk to the owner in the morning and he would relay my concerns to the incoming manager. The next morning (because they were supposed to give me another room), I went to the manager. She had no idea of what I was talking about so I told her to contact the night Mgr and figure it out. I had a funeral to attend and I would be back later for the solution. When we returned the problem had not been addressed. When I asked for the manager (Ashley), the front desk clerk (Ash) refused initially. I just walked away. My nephew stayed behind and heard Ash call me a bitch to Ashley. So I came back down and told them how unprofessional and I would like the number to corporate. Ashley threatened me saying if I complained that I would be thrown out of the hotel, put on a "no rent" list and arrested if I stepped foot on the property again. So I called corporate. I was thrown out, but I don't care because I will never darken the doors of such a poorly run and maintenanced hotel again. I guess this is how the owners Sadi and DeeDee afford such nice cars (they're the owners). Just sad.

When I walked in to the lobby I was warmly greeted at the desk. Check in was quick and in no time I was in my room which was spotlessly clean. I had a good night's sleep, as the room was nice and quiet.

We were pleased with the noise level. We couldn't hear the interstate traffic from our room. Everything was clean and the room was a nice size. Staff was attentive to our requests. Breakfast was available early.

This hotel offers family suites which was perfect. It was 2 queens and a bunk bed. The sheets were clean. The price was fair.. The hotel was quiet even though there was a larger soccer club staying the night. There was a hole in our ceiling from water damage which was unsightly. The floor needed a good vacuum especially under the bunk beds. While I appreciated the extra hair tie nestled in the dust beside the tv.... I left it there. The bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and looked clean. All that said I would still stay here due to the room size and price

We stayed one night on our way to Missouri. Great location, updated hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms have been updated a bit. Bed wasn't the most comfortable but was decent. Breakfast was decent and had enough options for our family. Would stay again if in area.

Examine the room before accepting one to make sure it's maintained to your satisfaction. The hotel in general is nice, the staff friendly and helpful , breakfast was good but there were issues with the room. The bathroom floor grout was crumbling and the tiles loose. The light and electrical outlets next to one of the beds didn't work. The bathroom ceiling light didn't work. Front desk staff tried to help but it appeared to be electrical issues she could not address during our stay.

traveling 2600 miles cross country, this is the ideal basic one night stop enroute. we avoid big city congestion by going east of st Louis to stay here. we stayed in 5 best western hotels on this trip. Troy was one of the top two for us.

No morning coffee, staff said to make it using room cheap coffee maker. The Grab-N-Go breakfast was not prepared. We had to summoned the clerk to get and make our Grab-N-Go and then wait while she answered the phones. Lobby construction in progress and strong pungent odor. Simple TV remote would not allow scrolling the service provider guide. Room was nice but over priced without the basic amenities normally found at other motels.

the consistency of this brand is great. it is always spotless and in order. will be returning for sure. Being a rewards member also helps so much with the room rate. the eating area looks great. its location is very good easy to locate and access. and Cracker Barrel and other great food options are in walking distance.

Very poor cleaning. Stayed 3 days 2 nights never heard a vacuum or smelled cleaning supplies. Same dirt stains in elevator as 1st day. Dirt line in toilet, bug spatter on bathroom walls, air conditioner vent was disgusting, bathroom vent disgusting didn't even clear moisture off mirror, one light bulb in bathroom vanity. I can see why hotels next door were packed.

We drove until 2am and crashed for the night. So comfortable! Several pillows to choose. Bed was like a cloud! I only wish we had more time to spend in our cool and comfortable room. It was hot and the air conditioning was a God send.

The rooms were fine and the bunk bed was fun for the kids. Mattresses were good, medium firm. The bathrooms however need updating and the hallways weren't the cleanest stay we've had. Overall the hotel was nice but not my favorite BW.

You'd think "during this time " especially the fridge/freezer would be clean!!??? Not. Disgusting!!...I booked this room because I got an email from Best Western Rewards regarding "We Clean Care"??? Not this room!! Check the fridge/freezer!! Only reason I give it a 2 rating is because of the polite front desk guy. That's it. You did not meet my expectations!! I want refunded my $$$!! From the front desk to the time you check out I would not recommend this motel. It is the first time I have every stayed at a best western that I was treated like this and room in this kind of shape. Stains and holes on towels. No soap,shampoo,conditioner,lotion like normal. Bet was HORRIBLE. Front desk wanted to argue with me and act like I am an inconvenience to him for want to check in and get a room. The argue about being able to look up my rewards membership any other way but the member ID number. Best western is my go to motel but I will not ever stay at this one again or recommend it

The CO2 detector was way too high. If ever there was a problem we would be dead before the fumes reached the alarm. It was near the ceiling. The room was clean and bed comfortable. Coffee was available any time but there was no place to throw used creamers as the garbage bag was overflowing onto the floor. Other than those 2 complaints it was OK for the night spent there.

Very clean room and extremely friendly staff. Check in and out was super easy. Bed was very comfy. Breakfast was very good and fulfilling. The tub with the jets in it just made the night even more enjoyable and relaxing. Will definitely be booking a room in the near future for some more rest and relaxation.

Was on a business trip and this property was fairly close to where we needed to be the next morning, we like our Best Westerns and picked this one, easy on and off the interstate, arrived sort of late in the eveing and Gentleman at the front desk was great, lobby was clean, we stayed on the 3rd floor facing the parking lot, but was nice and quiet, room was clean, little wear and tear on the room, but main thing to us was it was clean, bed was nice and comfy had no problem falling asleep, only issue we had was the coffee, and the TV did not work, coffee not sure if the machine or the water, but was not that great, advised the front desk about the TV and she was willing to get it fixed but we were checking out and did not matter, breakfast was good, nice and clean, overall we were happy with the staff and the room, again was a clean place and that is what matters to us! Would stop again if in the area!

the property is right off the interstate but I didn't hear anything room was large and very clean great breakfast good variety and everything was kept full. easy on and off the interstate. Property was very clean and kept up

This is a good hotel no major issues beds clean and comfortable room clean the tub had a patch on it apparently somebody put a hole in it I would have changed to whole tub myself and not patched it pool is really small work out center small but still very good

The Troy hotel staff were very accommodating to two plane weary travelers. Check in was smooth, room was clean and the bed was comfy. We were so tired, we never even turned the tv on. WIFI was stable and the speed was adequate.

Didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised with this property. Very large room and bathroom with a nice kitchenette bar area too! First time to this area and if we come back again we would definitely stay again!

Great stay, great room, beds are comfortable with good pillows. Rooms are clean and nice. Staff was great and very helpful. Great location and good places to eat including barbecue. Will recommend this place to friends.

The property was neat, clean, and well maintained. the hotel appearance from the outside and inside was classy. However, the water in the pool was a little murky looking and might have needed the ph levels balanced. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful.

No issues to mention, really. It was a good stay! The room was bigger than I expected, which was a nice bonus. It was clean. AC worked. Breakfast was good. The staff went beyond to make sure we were taken care of.

On our return to Dallas from Chicago, my wife and I decided to stay overnight in Troy, just north of Saint Louis. This is a Best Western Plus, so the accommodations are a notch above the usual Best Western. The common areas were nice enough, fairly large and fairly tastefully appointed. We did not try out the workout room since we arrived late, but we peeked in and found the usual small room with few machines. The pool, which we also didn't use, was nice. Our guest room was large enough—larger than our room at the Hyatt in Saint Louis!—and comfortable enough. It included a half-kitchen with a sink, frigerator, and a microwave. The service was a bit lacking however. Upon our arrival, we were recognized but not welcomed, and it took several minutes to check in. The free breakfast the next morning was the usual, which always gives me indigestion, but was fully stocked and heated. We had a question about the receipt and went to the front desk to find no one there. As directed by a sign, we dial a number on the phone sitting on the counter and waited for several minutes before someone showed up. To be fair, this person was very pleasant and helpful when she did show up. This is a fairly good place to stay, especially if you're looking for easy access to downtown Saint Louis.

Every time we always choose this motel ,as we receive the room we ask for , they are are always clean , the staff is always very helpful in helping if we have special needs. We love ❤️ the double queen suites-with sink, large refrigerator, microwave,and soft cushy beds with lots of pillows .. you can walk to The Cracker Burrell restaurant across the street .

The check-in staff member was rude and not helpful. The window and shower curtains were very dirty. This hotel looks nice on the outside but it is in need of an upgrade. I would not recommend this hotel.

I'm pretty loyal to the Best Western brand. I travel for work quite a bit and stay in lots of BW's across the country. Most are pretty good. This one, in Troy, Illinois, is just okay. It's clean enough, but has a little odd smell in the hallways... like it used to be a smoking-allowed place and they tried with lots of chemicals to get rid of the smoke smell. The room was okay, beds were comfortable. The pool area has no hot tub... and I like a hot tub when my neck is sore from driving. It was priced higher than most nicer Best Westerns... and Troy is not a vacation resort hot spot. The hot breakfast was okay, but again, not great. mushy eggs, lukewarm sausage, and the rest of the stuff you expect: fruit, cereal, oatmeal, etc. I hate to sound complain-y, so I'll reiterate... It's okay.

After driving 700 miles I booked the hotel on hotels.com. I go to check in and the gentleman reassured me that he wasn't charging my card twice. What does he do?? Charges my card again. He had no clue what he was doing. He tried calling his manager and she stated she would do it in the morning. Keep in mind the gentlemen is still saying it's a hold however I confirmed with my bank I was charged twice. If your going to have people working you might want to train them!!! After calling and speaking to customer service twice it was taken care of. He was well aware that is was not a deposit like he stated. Deposits are normally posted with an even amount. Not $95.23. Not once did he seem to care or try and figure it out. He just said his manager would take care of it in the morning!!! I stay at hotels for work at least twice a week. I've NEVER had such terrible customer service!!! You would be better staying at a motel 6!!! Also before booking please read all reviews. It looks like this has been a problem for a while.

This location was a well clean location. But that's not the issue. I highly recommended if traveling at night don't check-in here they have the worst staff. They are not trained enough my fat check-in turned into an two and half hour check in.

During a very long trip moving my son from Texas to NJ, we stayed one night at this property. One of my bags, containing a laptop and important school work, was inadvertently left in the breakfast area. Later that day, I called in a panic. The manager calmly looked for the bag, located it, and then happily drove to the UPS store to ship it to me. I was very impressed with his professionalism, helpful attitude, and our overall experience.

We stay in Troy several times a year to visit family, and although we have tried every hotel in Troy, Best Western is our choice. Best value for the price. It is always super clean and beds are more comfy that what we have at home.

Hallway and room smelled of cigarette smoke. Breakfast was poorly managed (hot dishes empty, fruit non existent and no one around to replenish) Upon checkin the desk clerk was in need of personal hygiene and dressed more appropriate for the position.

This BW was handily located near the interstate. The desk clerk was very friendly and efficient. The room was large and clean. Breakfast was plentiful. This hotel had an elevator, which was much appreciated! I definitely would stay here again!

booked for a softball tournament - they satisfied the need for a room. Close to the fields. Breakfast needs to be warmer and have more selections. Beds are medium comfort. (I prefer a softer bed). Pool was not used by me, but for an indoor pool - decent size.

Quiet, nice hotel on the outskirts of St. Louis. Clean room, nice staff, good price, close (walking distance) to restaurant options, big shower/tub, King room — nice. Sure, it could probably use an update but we liked it!

One fo the nicest hotels I stayed in during the last year We loved the room with bunkbeds as I brought a bunch of teenagers. Breakfast was good but we felt more could have been provided Staff was very good and acomodating and the facility is ell kept and nice.

Hotel with Best Western standards. Clean rooms and staff is very helpful. Well situated near I 55 and I 70. Nothing to say about rooms; cleans as usual and comfortable. We could go out for a walk and have dinner near the hotel. Good place to stop.

This was a nice hotel with a fair price, good breakfast, quite room with a good bed and shower. Also a very friendly staff. The hotel looks like it has been recently remodeled and is very tastefully decorated I am never in the area I would stay there again.

Stopped there after driving eight hours. Was so tired, the gentleman at the desk wouldn't give me any discounts, AAA, Military or senior citizens. I was so tired I didn't argue and paid 124.00 plus tax. We make this trip about once a year but won't stop there again I assure you. The place is nice and clean, breakfast so so.

Excellent place for value. No complaints as the staff and facility very consistant paying attention to guests need. I would stay there again if in the area. The amenities were very good. The overall stay was stay was comfortable.

This is shaky for petty easy to fix reasons. The staff completely make this hotel get any ratings. Each staff member I've encountered are nice and helpful. The breakfast isn't bad and the location is nice. The door locks and key entry here are terrible I've had to come to the front desk to get a new key almost every day in a two week stay to get a new card or reactivate my old one. And I'm fully aware of keeping the keys away from your phone and what not. The side doors inaccessible unless there is something propping the door. Sometimes room doors don't shut completely and there are constant night critters that get in easily with doors propped at night. Stay at your own risk, rates aren't bad

The gentelman at the desk was very helpful. Got us a ground floor room. The room was very spacious, room was clean and beds comfy. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Driving home from Branson on business stopped and stayed at the Best Western Troy Illinois. Convenient location just off the interstate. My stay was okay but the heating/ air conditioning unit sounded like a jet engine all night. Ended up just shutting off the unit which in turn made the room too warm to sleep. Not a great night sleep and personally would not stay at the hotel again.

I understand bugs happen in hotels, but at $120 a night for a hotel on the side of a highway, it's quite unacceptable. we were at a local bbq competition and got a room to get a few hours of sleep and a shower. when we woke up one us had a cockroach crawling around in his shorts... completely unacceptable. if we wanted to risk roaches we'd have stayed at the $50 motel 6 down the road

We got a family suite with 2 queen beds, and a separate area with a bunk bed, desk, and TV. Our little travel tent for our 3rd kid fit great on the floor in that area as well. The beds did not have a waterproof mattress cover, so be sure to bring those. But it did have fun kid-theme sheets! The area does not have a door or curtain to separate it from the rest of the room. The suite also had a wet bar with microwave and fridge, and there's a jet bath in the bathroom. All helpful and fun for traveling with kids!

Great place to stay just outside of St. Louis. Reasonable rates my room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was good and included hot items. Cracker Barrel, a pizza place,And Taco Bell were walking distance across the parking lot.

Very nice hotel, clean and reasonably priced. We stayed for a couple of nights to attend a couple of Cardinals games, was an easy drive to the ballpark. Also had a good breakfast, nothing fancy but plenty of basics.

The location is ideal right off the highway. The outside looks nice. Entry is dingy looking. Staff was friendly. The room was spacious & clean. I was not impressed with breakfast. Not enough choices. Would have like little muffins, waffles, quaker oats. I would stay again, but not my 1st choice.

My bathroom smelled & it hadn't been cleaned. There were short black hairs all over the toilet seat. When I asked the girl at the front desk to send someone to clean it she said there was no one there but her and asked me how many hairs were on the seat (1 hair is 1 too many) and that she'd have to do it. She showed up to my room with a rag. I asked her if she had anything to sanitize the seat and she said that's all she had (the rag). I went to my car and got my wet wipes and wiped off the toilet seat so I could use it. I later went to the store and bought Lysol wipes and wiped down the whole bathroom & it didn't smell as much after I cleaned it. I booked this hotel because it had a pool and it was not really clean (and it was TINY). The water was cloudy and I don't know if there was dirt at the bottom or just the paint was chipped away. I really wish there was a hot tub, which is nice to sit in after driving for 6 hrs, but then that would probably be dirty too. The positives were: the A/C worked in my room and the room didn't smell or set off my asthma, I was on the 3rd floor & it was nice & quiet & I got a good nights rest, and the bed was very comfy. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't great either.

This is a nice clean safe hotel close to the interstate. Good breakfast. There are some good restaurants nearby. Only about 30 minutes from downtown St. Louis, so it's a good home base for visiting the city without paying a ton. Highly recommend this place! Will stay again.

First, let me say that the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the breakfast was better than most hotels. However, the air conditioner in our room was not working and it was 97 degrees outside. We called the front desk and got attitude that there was nothing they could do. The hotel was full so we couldn't be moved and they have no maintenance people to check out the unit. We were, however offered a small fan. I suggest if you're staying here during the summer months, you check out your room before checking in and don't stay in room 124.

Called ahead as we were traveling and received excellent service making an unexpected reservation during a trip for a funeral. Very friendly front desk staff. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate. Great/easy access from the interstate.

This hotel had been renovated a few years ago. Although it looks great at first glance, there are little things you notice when you stay. We had a room with a whirlpool, which was not clean. Kinda gross to discover hair that isn't yours when taking a bath!

The room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel was close to the ball park which was only a little more than 1 mile away. Very convenient. Savi was great. She was a life saver. Thank you, Savi.

Clean hotel, comfortable beds , and spacious rooms. Great customer service at the front desk. Breakfast typical hotel average breakfast. Had a pool, looked small, but was indoors and clean. Front desk recommended a really great BBQ place called Fire and Smoke Wood Fire Kitchen. Their food was awesome! Would stay there again!

Breakfast was late with the hot food, and there was no whole wheat bread, which is a problem with diabetics. Having hard boiled eggs would have helped.mWe also would have liked a fourth pillow on the king bed. Otherwise, everything was fine.

Family room with bunk beds is a great value for a large family. Pool is small but clean. Breakfast includes hot items such as eggs, biscuits and pancakes. No issues, room was clean and quiet. Great stay.

Quick easy check in. Nice and quite. No road noise. Far enough off hwy but yet close enough for easy return. Has a Cracker Barrell restaurant next door if you want a nice supper before turning in for the night. Breatfast was hot, but its over by 830am so get there early. Staff was very nice. Both night staff and morning staff were very friendly. Genuinely egar to help make our stay pleasant.

I could not help but be in a great mood after checking into this hotel. Reggie was working the desk and came to help me after smashing on some skittles. He had such a high level of positive energy that I had a huge smile plastered on my face the whole time. He was friendly, professional, and you could tell he really cared about good customer service. We evaluate hotels and resorts as one of our jobs and this guy was on par with the best of them. The beds were soft and clean. The only two negatives we found were one pillow had stains on it(the pillow case did not, just inside on the pillow so it wasn't a big deal), and we missed breakfast. At least do 10 or 1030 am on the weekend. Some of us like to sleep in! THanks for a fantastic stay. If we look for place in the St. Louis area, you bet we'll be seeing if Reggie is around.

I was very pleased with how nice and clean this hotel is. Everything looked new. For the price this is exceptional value. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast was good. I would stay here again. I wish all my hotel stays were this nice.

Definitely, nothing fancy. But our unit was clean. I have slept on more comfortable beds in a hotel, but pillows were ok. Limited info provided on area in room. Tv remote was horrible. Couldn't get the channels to move. They had the generic remotes. Also couldn't use the closed captioning. There were adequate plugins to recharge all electronics.

Work on improving the free breakfast-fresh brew coffee not Nescafe Instant-make sure staff cleans/services room properly-the location is excellent and less expensive than Holiday Inn across the street and probably just as nice.

Just off of I-55, this motel is convenient and clean. Free hot breakfast and they will even make you a "to go" package if you are in a hurry. Stay on the backside of the motel if you like it a little more quiet.

the complex was nice. In the same vein as Marriott Courtyard. The bed was wonderful and the pillows too. Great night sleep. The breakfast was good except no fresh fruit. Close to a restaurant and right off the expressway

Two queen beds, very nice. Good size flat screen TV. Lots of plugins for people who need their devices charged. Fridge/microwave. Wet bar outside bathroom. Breakfast wasn't quite ready by the time we left, but it looks good. Coffee to go was also nice.

The hotel staff was very professional and friendly. He made sure we had a comfortable room. It helped so much after traveling all day. The room was clean. The only thing that could use updating was the bathroom. The jucuzzi didn't look well maintained. I would stay again.

This is a great option for an affordable and convenient location close to but not in St. Louis. Easy on and off the highway. Amenities nearby. Also good for Route 66 travelers. Clean rooms, breakfast included.

It was a reat price. The room was clean. The shower had good water pressure in room. Delicious breakfast including biscuits, gravy, sausage & eggs served in clean area. Enjoyed indoor pool, too. It was clean and comfortable overall.

Daughter and I had tickets to a Cubs/Cardinals game in St Louis. We decided to hit the road and stop just outside STL to look for a hotel to crash in after the game, figuring it would be cheaper than STL proper. Found this location immediately off I-55. Asked the no nonsense clerk if a room was available. He indicated their was and applied my AARP discount. Had a nice room with two queen beds and a kitchenette. Loved the location and value. Easy access to STL.

On the road, we checked out hotels as we didn't want to get into the higher priced hotels nearer St. Louis. We were a bit concerned when we were one of the only 4 cars in the parking lot. We decided maybe we were early for check in, although it was after 5:00. The room was pleasant enough, no issues at all, comfort was good, so I'm not sure what was going on. It was a bit unnerving. We are at Cracker Barrel across the street, big crowd there, and we noticed a lot of cars in the other hotel parking lots. After dinner, there was a couple of trucks and a few more cars in our lot, but still, not even close to a half-full house. Perhaps we were missing something, but I found no fault here at all.

We enjoyed our stay. Easy on and off highway. Good breakfast Many restaurants within walking distance for dinner. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Nice size refrigerator in room. Bed was comfortable and bathroom nice size and clean. Great shower.

Loved everything about this hotel. The lobby was clean and updated. Our room was very clean and bright colors. The bathroom was large, with a wonderful waterfall type shower. The breakfast was better than normal compared to the past Best Westerns I have stayed at. Great value, great staff, great location. Will stay here again next year when back in the area.

This is a clean place to stay at a reasonable price on the outskirts of St. Louis. It is Illinois though, and NOT Missouri! We travel back and forth across the country regularly - This place has the Chicago no-nonsense all business approach. DON'T expect a friendly smile or greeting at check-in. Just show up with your driver's license and credit card, then sign here, here, and here. No hellos, no goodbyes, just sign here, here and here. We stayed here because it was so close to Cahokia mounds, and it really is easy to get to the hotel. The hotel IS in a good location, easy access and reasonably priced. We WOULD stay there again!

We were so pleased with all the staff at this particular BW. Very helpful and kind. Anything we needed they made sure we got what we needed. Never a want for anything. Even gave us suggestions of good places to eat near by. Would definately stay there again.

Very nice hotel, newly renovated. Convenient to SIUE. The jetted tubs in the suites are huge and usually much needed for me ! Breakfast is pretty good. Pool is small but ok for little ones Is tiny but fun for little ones

The business center was so out of date and did not function while i was there. The computers are old and do not work well. The computer desk was falling apart. The stairwells smelled musty. My shower needed cleaned real good and so did the room. The breakfast was terrible and needs a update and someone there to attend it when we were there no one was there to replenish and clean up around it.

Very quiet relaxing night, the staff was very kind. It is a great place to take family, I saw families in the pool. Restaurants are within walking distance like Cracker Barrel and Taco Bell. There are also multiple convenience stores int he area within 2 miles of the hotel for a great selection.

Stayed here on 7/28/17-7/30/17 the family room is amazing and highly recommended for large families! Has a bunk bed room with separate tv for the kids! We booked through hotels.com and our reservation for our room got miscommunicated! The front desk guy put us in the room we originally booked but had to switch rooms the second night and put a rollaway bed in for us! Didi, the manager, was also great! Gave me his business card for future stays and made sure our room and experience was wonderful!!

Rooms have been very clean as we've stayed here several times. Breakfast is very good and easily accessed off main lobby next to pool! The hotel is represented by a pleasant staff that are very professional and we've enjoyed this property.

We were travelling in a group of six. They had a family suite with two queen size beds and a bunk bed. That was absolutely perfect! The bunk bed mattresses were a little firm but all in all we were very satisfied with the room. Plus the bathroom had a huge, jacuzzi tub!! That was an unexpected bonus!!

checked in late one night while on the road. the front desk guy was very nice and got us into a room quickly. the room was very clean, no issues there. the room felt a little dated and could use a little freshening up, but, maybe that's in the works. they were painting the exterior while we were there. there was a nice little breakfast buffet in the morning. the food was good. we stopped in late at night and wanted a clean room with a little food and coffee in the morning. this hotel gave us what we we're looking for, at a reasonable price, which is really what I've coffee to expect from Best Western. thanks

Do not stay here unless they hire more staff and clean this place. change bed and mattress really noisy. Bath tub completely clogged up. Carpet so dirty our feet were black! Front desk had no attendant in the morning, because she had to serve breakfast! No waffle machine, no cereal boxes of popular flavors. no tissue in tissue holder. had to call 2 times for noise from upper floors. requested a roll away, and it was never place in room. I have had over 50 nights in the past year at BW this by far is the worst I have ever seen.

This room was great! The exterior was having work done but it didn't bother us the rooms you can tell are being actively updated overall it was good for the money. They had a good wet bar area which was helpful!

The lobby and rooms were very clean. Slept very well as the surrounding were pretty quiet and the mattress was very good. Very good value considering its proximity to St. Louis city where hotels where much more expensive and/or already booked.

My wife and I were in town over the weekend for a wedding at a nearby winery. We were very impressed with our room. The decor was newer and in very good condition. It appeared to have been redone within the last year or two. During our stay, crews were working outside repainting the outside of the building. One thing that really impressed me was the television system. It displayed the network and program name and info at the bottom of the screen every time you change the channel— almost like a dish guide. Also, If you're like me and can't sleep without a fan, the PTAC unit can be set so the fan runs all of the time. My only nick against the place was the quality of the breakfast— specifically the coffee. There was a machine that dispensed a cup of Nescafe instant coffee a cup at a time. It was awful. We just went across the street to Cracker Barrel for breakfast, which was great. Overall, however, we were very impressed and would definitely stay there again.

Very noisy, children were running up and down halls and it was shaking the light fixtures in the bathroom. Closet doors would not open, could not hang clothes up. Room was clean and breakfast was standard hotel selections

About two years ago I had a terrible experience with a Best Western, so avoided them until this road trip. This hotel was what I expect from a hotel that already had an excellence rating from trip advisor. Room clean and comfy, all worked, breakfast ok (could be better, but 7/10), staff very cordial and no problems during the stay.

When we are in the area visiting family, we always stay at this hotel. We have never had any issue that the staff did not make right. It is clean, and with breakfast being free, It's a win win! I also appreciate that it is in a location that I feel safe!

Nice place, clean friendly. 2 bus loads of young kids and adults arrived in evening. We didn't hear any noise from them. We were initially assigned a room and it was not made up when we entered. So the clerk gave us a sweet. Very nice.

Good location and breakfast. Bad response to need. Ugly ants and cobwebs. Understand that ants come in during rainy season. Change rooms at 10:30 at night or wait for Orkin next day. Returned to hotel next day at noon. Still no Orkin or can of Raid. Got late check out and left. Workers were kind.

Stayed here for my daughters graduation from SIUe along with my in laws. Rooms were nice! Loved the size and the room in the bathroom! Staff was great, we sorta took over the lobby area late night for a family card game and cocktails! My daughter is living down there now, I definitely will be staying there again!

This place was a stopping point. The staff was nice, courteous and willing to help out with questions we had. Our room was very clean, beds comfortable and big! The morning breakfast had plenty of food for every dietary need! This place is a nice place to stay and clean I recommend it highly!

I stayed at this motel when it was a Holiday inn Express, and now That its a become a Best Western , I find it a great value. I find the same warm welcome , they always have reserved the rooms we prefer and the night staff ( Reggie and Shawn always remember us , it actually appears more like a family run business instead of a chain.

It is convenient (on-and-off) highway property and deserves the 'Plus rating!' Facility is clean, personnel are pleasant and efficient. Amenities, which includes breakfast are excellent. Very reasonably priced as well!

Huge rooms. Kitchenettes in the rooms and better than average breakfast. Quiet. Conveniently located off of 55. There were comfortable beds. Very clean, but maybe not impeccably clean. Best western keeps getting better.

Room cleaning was less than sufficient.Staff friendly, but not very knowledgeable about amenities or area.Breakfast adequate, but no one washed tables after people ate. Rooms were OK, but walls very thin. Could here other people in other rooms all night.

We stayed in the family suite. It was clean and very spacious. The room was very nice. The bathroom was in need of updating but the water pressure was great. The breakfast was good. The pool water was warm. I would stay there again.

Room was a problem.No toilet paper no Kleenex and dirty towels in room. Remote was useless. The only good thing was the desk staff.Reggie was at our room in 2min.with every thing to replace the things, The remote could not be fixed, He tried every thing he could to help.The manager has no interest in the problems of the Hotel.They did put out a very good breakfast.

you can do better, they don't consider cleaning around beds perhaps for used condoms, to be part of housekeeping, so imagine when you check in with young children and your kids find a used condom... breakfast was okay though, also room size was ok as well, they also have this nice lady (savi) that help a lot at the breakfast area in the morning!

This hotel is very clean. The night desk manager was robust and welcoming! There are several restaurants nearby. We walked across the street to cracker barrel for a late supper. The breakfast was fully stocked with a friendly hostess keeping the juice and coffee stocked. Eggs, sausage, breads, cereals and a pancake conveyor machine. (Personally I despise the waffle contraptions) I recommend this place for parents visiting their college kids at Edwardsville. 4 miles away

We were pleased with our stay! Clean rooms, very friendly staff, clean breakfast area. No waffle maker but a pancake "printer" as I liked to call it. :) Pleasantly surprised with the mini sink and counter in our room. Clean sheets, safe, calm area, overall a comfortable place to rest for the night. Would stay here again!

We needed a one night stay for a tennis tournament in the Edwardsville, IL area, and the Best Western provided us a clean and comfortable stay. The room seemed fairly recently remodeled (not sure if that's the case or not, though, but it looked nice). It was clean and attractive. The bed and pillows were surprisingly very comfortable. We did not hear much noise in the hallways. Our window faced the interstate exchange, but I do not recall being bothered by any noise from that, either.

Along Route 66 we booked an hour before online and this was our fourth Best Western stop. We wanted to return to St Louis in the morning before continuing east and it was easy access and worked out fine backtracking rather than staying in the city. The hot breakfast was sufficient and saved time/money going to restaurant. Crackle Barrel was walking distance but drove to it for dinner. On the highway but neither of the couples were bothered by highway noise-quiet.

The staff was wonderful and the hotel was clean and pleasant. I would stay here again anytime. Breakfast was presented very well and was good. The hotel was easy to find and the check in and out process was very satisfactory. I would stay here again with no hesitation.

We were pleasantly surprised with the courteous and helpful reception. We were also just as pleasantly surprised with the modern decor of the room, as well as the cleanliness. The breakfast was ready prior to 6:30, but that caused some of the food to be lukewarm. Otherwise, this overnight stay was very nice.

Stopped here for the night on our way to Chicago. It is a clean and up-to-date hotel. Nice accommodations in room - like fridge and sink in the mini-kitchen area . There's even cupboards in case you're staying a few days and want to stock up on groceries. Good breakfast choices - both hot and cold food.

We really enjoyed our stay here. We were going into St. Louis and this was a good stop so that we did not have to stay in the city. We would stay here again. The staff was very nice and helpful. We were close to everything that we needed.

This was my first stay at this motel. Will definitely stay there again. Front desk staff were very welcoming and greeted us every time we came thru the door. Motel as a whole was clean and recently remodeled. Room was spacious. Beds were comfy. Free breakfast was tasty and the right temperature. Only suggestion would be to offer a fresh fruit and to rotate the breakfast meat. The pool was clean and good temperature.

This new hotel was easy on/off the interstate, and was one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. Should be in the BW Plus category. We stayed here after stopping to see Gateway Arch (about 20 mins away), and got us just far enough out of the city. Good lighting and USB chargers built into nightstands. Excellent beds and pillows. Cracker Barrel right across the parking lot, with other chains and pizza close by.

Easy on and easy off the interstate. Good location. Were able to use our Best Western points for the nights stay without any trouble. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Wifi was free which was nice with two kids! Breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

I don't travel often , but when I do, I can always count on Best Western, All the Best Western Hotels that I have been in are consistent in food preparation for breakfast and nice clean rooms. Staff is really friendly , no , they really are. Beds are white and crisp. You can count on Best Western

My wife and I really enjoyed stating here, on our way to a ministry event. Employees were great, room very nice. Located near good restaurants. I highly recommend this motel. Has truck parking as well as a well lit paved parking lot.

I booked the conference room in conjunction with pool access for my daughter's birthday 6 weeks in advance. I arrive 30 min early to set up for the party and the pool has been drained, there are huge machines and fans going in the pool area and the pool equipment is in the conference room where the party is to be held. I was told by the lady at the counter, "We tried to call you yesterday". I had no missed calls on my phone and they did not attempt to contact the alternate number that was given. I asked for a manager and was told one was not there. Finally the employee got someone on the phone for me who said the exact same thing. They were not remorseful nor did they seem to care that my 9 year old daughters birthday and pool party had been ruined by their incompetence. I will never go to this place again and would advise against it based on their communication skills and ability to notify you if something were to happen to your room or business conference you may schedule here.

Stayed here 11/22/15 and thought I was going to be in a Holiday Inn Express. They answered the phone Holiday Inn express. Well I drove by 3 times trying to locate the hotel. Turns out it is a Best Western, Troy Hotel, Holiday Inn express all in one. The hotel is run down and out dated. Locks broken off the door elevator floor not finished , well maybe so it has a duro rock sub floor. If you stay at a lot of Holiday Inn Express hotels you will be disappointed with this one. Breakfast was ok .

I reserved the Holiday Inn and when I got there, it was the Troy Hotel ( a former Holiday Inn). I called the agency who booked this and they actually laughed at me and said I'd made a mistake and not reserved the Holiday Inn. I've gone back into where I reserved it and this hotel is listed as the Holiday Inn of Troy, but it is NOT. Definitely not of HI standards. Moldy caulk around tub. No soap in room. Coffee pot filthy. Room was just dirty and needed updating. I could tell it used to be a Holiday Inn, but it's not. Very disappointed that I reserved a Holiday Inn and got this instead. And hey, they already had my money so what was I supposed to do? I feel I should be refunded something for this bait and switch tactic.

Stayed about a week ago. Rooms are standard but the room was clean and the bedding excellent. The staff was very kind and professional. We left a pair of glasses in the room and called and the manager shipped them out the next day and we had them in two days. We'll be back and here's where we'll stay.

We had a problem with the water not being very hot and told manager who said they were going to report because of other complaints. Staff was super friendly and helpful when needing assistance with anything. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Holiday Inn Express is my favorite chain.
