Best Western Plus Traverse City

Very clean hotel. My puppy was happy there. Can walk dog throughout the subdivision that is behind of the hotel. Also indoor pool always a plus. Breakfast was great and the staff was great. Everyone made sure our Stay was great. MICHIGAN LAKE is walking distance.

Clean awesome rooms, a friendly staff, and a great price - trifecta! I traveled with my dog and they were very accommodating. The pet area was nicely set up and clean, making it easy to have my dog with me on my trip.

I had just stayed at a high end resort for business in California and this Best Western in Traverse City was 100x better. The bed was super comfortable, the pillows were great. Shower was relaxing. Breakfast was decent. Staff were friendly.

I was excited to find this dog-friendly hotel in a great location (closer to downtown than many of the other options) and great for dog walking being close to the college campus and the Civic Center. The staff was welcoming to me and my dog and the hotel amenities were good enough. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future.

Was a short visit. Came In late and left early morning. Was checked in very quickly. The woman at the register was very nice and professional. The room was clean. A little on the smaller side but not a deal breaker. I was happy

The reception area was great, got a room easily with no reservation. The room was great, it was a loft room with the second bed. The have a shuttle, but we did not use it, as we were not sure what our downtown destination was.

This is our 3rd stay. Right from the start Tricia, Carrie and Kristy brighten our day. They are cheerful and kind and remembered us. It's those small things that are so impressive. The breakfast is very nice. We appreciate the shuttle service taking us downtown. This stay we enjoyed the pool . Our bed was nice and comfortable. After our day of sightseeing, it was so nice to come back to the hotel to be greeted with complimentary warm chocolate chip cookies. When we travel to Traverse City, this hotel is our first choice.

I feel that this place is so overpriced. I only stayed there because they accept pets and many places do not. Reserve weeks in advance and still paid almost $400 per day. And they stuck us next to the ice machine! Place needs a redo for sure. Not sure why this is a Plus location in the first place.

My stay was amazing very impressed with how clean, Great breakfast included with many options. there are many Hotels in the area that aren't offering breakfast anymore. pricing is reasonable. they have cookies out in the evening. the Pillows and Mattress very comfortable I normal don't sleep well when away. I would have loved to take those pillows home. everyone was nice, polite. I will stay here again.

we stayed here before the year before and the staff was much nicer, but we're not worried about people and how they act they told us the pool was warm and it's not it was they said it was 85 it's more like 70 5, they did allow dogs but they put us in a handicap room where I had to ask him if I could move because the shower was wide open and I just have a difference of opinion about the shower this room was not wet it was before I do love Best Western but don't go there during Sherry Festival any other time you go it's probably reasonable priced.

I was drawn in by the free breakfast, & learned upon arrival they also provide a free shuttle service to downtown areas. Really enjoyed my stay, the rooms were comfortable & the only thing is the doors kind of slam if you don't shut them yourself & some rooms have a shared door between them that does lock on both sides but can be concerning for some people who may travel alone.

Stayed here on brief visit to relatives. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were immaculate and well-ordered. In short, it was exactly what we needed and what most would hope for in terms of accommodations.

Clean accommodations, friendly and welcoming staff, and a fair price for the area. This is the first time that we stayed at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City, and we will definitely plan to stay here again when we return.

Breakfast EXCELLENT! Bathroom and room a bit small for 250 a night. Pet friendly a major plus. Accommodation were taken into consideration when we booked room. Although we did not use the access to a 24hor pool is great.

We loved the Best Western + in Traverse City. Absolutely superb staff the front desk women were exceptional. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet and the hot chocolate anytime machine was the best. We highly recommend, and will return if we travel to Traverse City again.

Great staff, from maids to front staff. Good breakfast. Shuttle service was a big plus for getting out and about. Very convenient for having dinner and shopping downtown. Driver made excellent suggestions. All of the staff always cheerful.

We had requested an upper floor room when we booked our stay and repeated our request when we arrived at the hotel. The clerk said she had nothing available but would put us in a room on the ground floor that had no one above us. That sounded okay so we took it. Big mistake! We opened the door to a dark cave with the only light coming from a small window at the back that looked directly onto a tall fence. The room was dated and dreary, with old, chipped furniture. The sink area was outside the shower/toilet room and the counter space was so small we didn't even have room for a small shaving kit. On top of that, one of the lights over the sink had burned out and there was a large crack in the sink. The shower was disgusting, with dirt and mold everywhere (please see the pictures). The only positives we can mention are that the breakfast was okay and Tricia, the morning receptionist was very kind and helpful. This was definitely the worst hotel we stayed in during a month-long road trip. We will not be back.

This hotel is great! Staff is friendly, attentive and welcoming. You will enjoy your stay! The room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was of great quality and plentiful. They have a basket of chocolate chip cookies at 6:00pm every night. The shuttle service is excellent! I would stay here every time I visit.

Motel when we got to the motel or before we got to the motel I looked for a motel on my phone after leaving Leddington and since we stayed at the Traverse Plus before I liked them so well the last time I called them they only had one room opening and it was a handicap room I didn't realize though it was a queen bed I was upset didn't spend the night very good and left the next day telling them I just didn't want the next two days because they were so packed my back had hurt so bad that I just couldn't stay in that bed in that room never before have I been treated so good they refunded all of my money, I will be coming again as we come to Michigan two or three times a year this is my choice of a motel that warrants your satisfaction you don't find that very much anymore

The National Cherry Festival was taking place so maybe that is why rooms were so expensive? Regardless, our experience did not match the price tag. Our shower didn't have a soap dispenser. You could see where the adhesive was on the wall. I had to ask for a bar of soap which I was given at the front desk without any issue. The shower has a glass stationary partial wall. It doesn't move and there is no way to keep all the water from the shower confined to the shower stall. It is the oddest design in my opinion. The bathroom looked remodeled and clean and I did appreciate that. The breakfast area is small but there were plenty of food options. The warm cookies in the evening were a nice touch also.

I have stayed here numerous times for a week at a time. Staff knows me by name and exceeds my expectations every time. They are very helpful and they always make my stay memorable. Breakfast is wonderful with many different options.

All the staff we interacted with were helpful and friendly. This is an older property that has been renovated. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Some of the furniture in our room was a little beat up but functional. The hot breakfast was good and well stocked. We really liked the fresh cookies they put out in the evening! We would stay here again.

We stayed here for a hockey tournament weekend. The room was nice except one bed had a super comfy pillow topper and the other needed updating(unfortunately, that's the one I got) Needs a little TLC. Stains in carpet, chipping paint, dirty entryways. It's winter but there's no snow. It was messy all weekend. The workers were all very kind and courteous. Offered a nice breakfast in the morning. Paid $140 plus tax which is pricey for the environment we got. We've stayed at much nicer places for less! I would stay in the future if our team booked here but if I had the option, I'd choose somewhere else.

The staff at Best Western in Traverse City Michigan is wonderful they are friendly to me always smiling always helpful and they love my animals and never make me feel like I'm a burden. Even though my two large dogs can be a little overly friendly sometimes. I love y'all thank you so much!

What a pleasant place to stay. The Best Western Plus in Traverse City is pet friendly and offers a hot breakfast. Sheila at the front desk is excellent and my wife and I had a great time chatting with her about local attractions. Next time we plan a family trip in TC we'll be sure to stay at the Best Western Plus again.

Wasn't expecting such great updates. Awards listed were well deserved. Great sleep on very comfortable bed. Very clean every where in hotel. Great breakfast to start the next part of your trip. Wonderful stay!

We never stayed at this Best Western in Traverse City but we were pleasantly surprised. Up there with holiday In express and Americinn. The room was clean, amenities nice, breakfast was very good. I recommend this hotel.

Very pleasant experience at this hotel. Friendly staff, clean room and lounge, and conveniently located to downtown Traverse City. I love that they have a shuttle to bring you into town. Great perk.

We were traveling with our dog. We had a room with an exterior door that led right to the dog walk area. So easy for quick trips outside. Even better, there was a delightful neighborhood that started at rear hotel. I was able to take dog for his routine 1/2 hour walks. And it's only 12 minutes to East Bay Beach - saw a beautiful sunrise. Room was super clean. Had nice chair and footstool. Grab bars so useful for traveler with mobility issues. Super fast internet service. Very nice breakfast. . Front desk staff and breakfast manager so helpful and friendly We will absolutely stay there again.

Looking at the map when I made the reservation, I thought this Best Western might be too far east, but it turned out to be an excellent location. Quick access to downtown and to the roads leading to Sleeping Bear dunes, and we found we were equally going to the east and west on our daily outings. We stayed here because it is dog friendly, and there were a lot of dogs staying there. Everything about the room was fantastic - clean, spacious and well kept. The daily breakfast was excellent and offered some variety during our three night stay. Dogs were welcome during breakfast on the outdoor patio off the lobby, and also in a little area adjacent to the lobby counter that had tables, couches and chairs. The parking lot was a quick and easy access to our lower level room. The staff here was fantastic. My wife had left some needed medical supplies at the hotel we stayed in prior to Traverse City, and when we asked for a nearby pharmacy we were told that there was one a mile or so away, but the desk attendant must have remembered one just a couple blocks away, and he chased us down in the parking lot to tell us. All of the staff we detailed were great to work with. We didn't get a chance to use any of the amenities like the pool, but they look nice as well.

My wife and I celebrated our 46th anniversary in Traverse City and stayed at the BW. The concierge staff was welcoming and helpful, the room was very clean and well appointed, with ample outlets to charge phones and tablets. The bed was comfortable and yielded great nights of sleep so we could enjoy active days viewing the Fall colors on the peninsulas. Breakfast provided a variety of simple, yet hardy options to jump-start each morning. All in all, our superb experience ensured this will be our preferred hotel for future visits.

Stayed here for 2 nights. It is conveniently located for any activities you have planned for Traverse City or Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park. The front desk personal, the lady who worked the breakfast area to the cleaning staff were all very friendly. Our room faced the main road and it was a little noisy, but that is to be expected and it didn't take away from the overall experience.

I have logged over 1300 Nights in hotels during my career, and I can tell you without a doubt, this location and team rates the highest in my book! Breakfast selection was abundant and always hot regardless of crowd size. Front desk friendly, caring, informative, and always greeted us. They took time for small talk and we shared laughter together. They continually asked if there was anything they could do for us. Housekeeping staff always went the extra mile! We were also able to travel with our pets which was a HUGE plus since we were staying for about 5 weeks. Our stay was long enough to assure you that this place and staff was consistently GREAT! Numerous hotels in the area, many of which I have tried. Many tend to be stuffy and over-crowded with undersized parking lots. Don't miss out - book today!

Just stayed here last night. Front desk ladies extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. Had a coffee maker, frig and microwave. Warm cookies in the lobby at night. Breakfast was awesome ! Eggs, biscuits and gravy, bacon sausage, fruit yogurt etc. it was great. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel have a very large verity and tasty breakfast. The hotel staff was very helpful, kind and very friendly. The room we were in was a oddly shaped and kind of cramped room. the shower was tight for a larger person.

The entire property was clean and well maintained. Staff were friendly, courteous and polite. Breakfast was better than expected - a good selection was available and it all tasted good. Can't ding them on anything....

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for one night on our travels through Michigan. We based our stay on reviews of this property and it turned out very nicely. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel and room were very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom. This had to be one of the smallest sinks I have ever seen and the area around the sink was very sparse and not conducive to many toiletries. The shower had a half glass partition with no door. It was functional but a little unusual. Not anything that was a huge deal, just not an arrangement we preferred. The hotel had a very good breakfast in the morning with a lot of selections. Checkout was quite easy. One tip - if you are arriving late and looking for a dinner spot close to this hotel, we recommend the Reflect Bistro. You can literally see the restaurant from the west outer door of the hotel. It is located in the Cambria Suites Hotel next door. Very good restaurant and easily accessible from this hotel. We would recommend the Best Wester Plus if you are traveling in the Traverse City area.

The Best Western Plus Traverse City was great. We stayed here based on the reviews and we definitely would recommend it. Very clean and comfortable. A short drive outside the downtown area but worth it. There's a couple of nearby restaurants that were very good. There's even one in the same parking lot. Sheila at the front desk was both efficient and friendly.

My husband and I were exploring Michigan. We stayed at 4 different Best Western's throughout the state. I have to say that this hotel was without a doubt the best and friendliest we stayed at. The front desk clerk Sheila went out of her way to make us feel at home. She coordinated our shuttle to dinner and made sure we had everything we needed. She was very well informed about the hotel. It's amenities and also Traverse City. We would suggest anyone passing through should consider their hospitality.

I told my husband I was ready to move in for a motel to give this kind of service and quality I wish we could take it everywhere with us Best Western Plus you have out done yourself you helped complete our vacation after the first night of a poor Quality Inn at Traverse City, you found a room for us king size king size bed wow the breakfast was outstanding offered any food that you like it was fresh warm and up-to-date plenty of juices, there was a pet fee for both dogs not per dog per night of $20, your bed was something I wish I could take home with me I have a large king size bed at home that was not near as comfortable as this bed! friendly and outstanding they had a treat for my puppies each time they saw them ---the pool was clean and warm I'd say 80 to 85° very pleased after walking all day long outstanding enough to date I was surprised after CobID this is an A+ A+ A+ rest area for your bones it was close to all the wineries in Middletown in restaurants Best Western will get my business from now on I pray that they don't lose their service such as we experienced during labor day

Staff and cleanliness here was terrific! Bathrooms in room have been redone and are very nice. Common areas and rooms need an update. Breakfast staff was terrific as well. Great location! Easy parking.

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was wonderful. The room was nice and very clean. Breakfast was very good with items being constantly replenished. Fresh chocolate chip cookies are available in the lobby each evening. Coffee and tea are always available in the lobby. We took the free shuttle to downtown Traverse City and back.

This hotel was convenient to everything. The staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was comfortable and quiet. The property foul use some updating and the breakfast offerings need some improvements. Bread products were on the stale side and the only cereals were aimed at the sweet tooth with no raisin bran or bran flakes. WiFi very slow.

Enjoyed our stay! Staff very friendly and nice rooms. On the first floor in the middle of hotel and was worried it might be noisy but was very surprised how quiet it was. Close to town so we took the shuttle a couple times and Joel Davis the driver was great. Would stay again.

The motel looked pretty rough when we drove up. The front desk people were very good In fairness, this is a pet friendly motel which is why we chose it. The room was at best average. It kind of smelled like cheap after shave. It could have been cleaner. The shower was good sized but weird as it only had half of a door. The in-room heating/cooling was very hard to regulate. I have experience with this kind of a controller and the Mitsubishi system at work and it isn't the best. It didn't matter if it was set to auto or cooling. It just was not a good setup and the room got very cold - 3 degrees below the set point and would not shut off. I ended up shutting the whole system down around 3 am. The mattress needed replaced in the worst way. It didn't help that they were still practicing COVID restrictions and without requesting there was no service if staying more than one night. We didn't request it as we decided we were going to cut our stay to 2 nights instead of 3. There were no parking spaces the second night as a work truck took double spaces and I had to park at Cambria next door which was inconvenient. I did not eat the breakfast but the area was very small for the size of the motel. Nor did I swim but the pool looked nice and was in the basement. This is Traverse City and lodging is grossly overpriced in my opinion. But at $300 a night, I still think this could have been a better stay. I am grateful that I could bring my puppy and the staff was helpful in my experience.

Clean Stay. Friendly staff all around...front desk, breakfast hosts, and housekeeping. Christy, Tricia, and the team at the front desk were so welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed our morning check-ins with them and our evening debriefs. They provided helpful tips on restaurants and attractions to enjoy in the area. It was great to make a personal connection and receive helpful advice from locals. I remarked on the way home that we would have missed out on half the things we did if he had stayed at an AirBnB. The Breakfast included a fantastic variety! Loved the additional toppings that were available for waffles. Loved that there was sausage and bacon everyday as well as waffles, french toast, and biscuits and gravy. The breakfast area was super clean. Breakfasts hosts were friendly and accommodating. There is a pinch of road noise, but only when a semi went by and we were one of the closest rooms to the road. The comfy bed helped us fall asleep with no problem. They had a nice looking pool that went to 11 feet! We didn't use it. They had a simple fitness spot...but who works out on vacation? This hotel is on the highway strip that is between the two beaches. It was nice and simple to park and away from the downtown business in the center of the city. It was only a couple miles away from downtown, but a nice location to launch into all different directions depending on the day. Dogs are welcome, too. We never heard a dog bark. Are room did not smell like a dog, either. They must have dedicated rooms for pets. We stayed on the second floor.

A family funeral is what led us to Traverse City. Right from the onset Carrie was so kind and most helpful with our reservation. Upon check in we were given a gift bag with snacks and water. Was invited to come to the lobby for free cookie at 6pm while supplies last. Our room was very clean, the bed very comfortable. Did I forget to mention the free shuttle service that runs daily to downtown Traverse City. This was greatly appreciated as parking can be costly and challenging. We enjoyed our full hot breakfast, eggs, sausage, bacon biscuits with gravy and fresh fruit, yogurt was available plus more. Judy was the employee managing the breakfast area. She was friendly and kept the breakfast area well stocked and clean. The employees were all friendly, I wish I wrote down everyone's name. We were told it was a great place to work. It showed. (thanks Tricia, Sarah, Carrie) and others that we spoke too. We will be back again this fall.

Good hotel for the money - clean rooms but daily cleaning service not included, free internet, no restaurant at the hotel, but you can walk to the restaurant next door, free breakfast, close to downtown but not necessarily walking distance, bed was a little hard but basically fine, the showers are poorly designed with only a half door, the stairs to the loft are fairly steep - probably not good for small kids but my preteens were fine, pool but no hot tub

I stay at BW & BW+ all over the country and thought that I was coming here to a place that was going to be spectacular. My rate, with tax, was over $200. It was not spectacular, it was very average. Now don't get me wrong...it was not bad in any way...the room, on the 2nd floor as requested was a typical BW room, nothing special. The grounds, parking and breakfast were all typical average BW amenities...it just did not justify such a high nightly rate, especially for a Tuesday night. The location was good as we were travelling North to the UP. Breakfast was very good.

Room was nice, clean and fun for the kids with the loft. Breakfast was well managed and restocked often. Location was convenient to everything. Staff was friendly and helpful with anything we needed. Would stay here again if return to Traverse City.

My husband and I cannot say enough positive remarks about our stay. Everyone was very welcoming and helpful. It was clean and easy to find our way around. The breakfast had numerous options. We loved that they always had hot coffee or tea available. The shuttle was very helpful to get us downtown, so we didn't have to fight traffic and pay for parking. It took a huge worry off of us.

We stayed in the room with a downstairs and a loft upstairs, very nice clean room it had a refrigerator and microwave. The hotel had A fabulous swimming pool with stuff for the kids to play it was in the pool, the breakfast had so many choices more than any hotel we stayed at the food was really good. The exercise room had the stuff I needed to use it. You could eat outside if you wanted to instead of inside in the breakfast area. The staff was super friendly and nice, the hotel was close to downtown and the water it was just the perfect location and the best trip.

The BW Traverse City has very friendly staff. The breakfast was excellent. The breakfast staff was continually keeping everything fresh and filled. The beds were very comfortable. Complimentary shuttle was great.

This was a mini vaca to kick off summer with the kids. The full free buffet daily was amazing. Lots of delicious choices, including gluten free pastries for my son. The pool was open 24 hours. This way it was never crowded. The shuttle was excellent. I saved a lot of money by never needed to drive.

Hotel has seen better days but it was clean. Friendly staff but it could use some updates. Average rooms for chain hotels. Bathroom had been updated but was very small. Shower did not have a door nor curtain to close so floor was wet after showering. Odd. Costs more than we expected for mid week vacation.

Great room, clean, and location was close to everything more especially the # restaurant in walking distance. A best western with an in room spiral stair was interesting but perfect for the 3 of us. Our room was near the road and there was very little road noise if any.

Perfectly clean & comfortable rooms. Professional, welcoming, friendly front desk staff. Decent breakfast. Conveniently located to downtown and, to the north, it's walkable (several blocks with sidewalks) all the way to Lake Michigan and a small park with a beach. Our dog loved staying there, too. Not overpriced.

We stayed here for 4 nights in early June 2022. Everyone who worked there went out of their way to make us feel welcome! From the front desk staff to breakfast crew and cleaning staff - everyone was helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean and conveniently located. Thanks for a nice stay!

Best Western Plus Traverse City is a great place to stay with your family! I was searching for a place that was not too expensive and had some amenities. Breakfast included was one of them. I have to say that the breakfast laid out is one of the best I've ever seen at motel. There are eggs, bacon, sausages, two waffle makers- one mini, one regular, as well as cereal, baked pastries and juices and the best coffee I've ever had at a hotel. The coffee and tea are available 24/7, a nice perk to come back to especially when you've been out in the Michigan chill. I heard about some amazing fresh cookies that come out at 6 pm every day, but unfortunately we were not around to try them. It is right next to another hotel that has a bar and restaurant that the front desk gives out complimentary $5 off coupons for if you ask. There is also a FREE mini-bus that goes to town so you don't have to drink and drive. Just get dropped off by the bus and call to get picked up. Can't be anymore convenient than that! Also, the beds are comfortable and the loft situation is nice offering a little more privacy. Great for 2 couples or families! Last, but not least, the staff was amazing. At all times of day or night, whoever manned it was helpful and friendly. We had no problems fixing key cards, get extra towels and blankets and help with any directions we needed.

This is a very dated property. The hallways are not well lighted and the carpet is thin and worn. It was apparently last renovated in 2015. The furnishings are worn and stodgy. The rooms are cramped (we had a king suite and it was all chopped up with with angles). The paint and furniture were chipped. The desk staff was glum. The room rate was extraordinary ($370 with tax) for a window view over the parking lot and US 31…. The breakfast was good which was the only bright spot.

There's just always something that disappoints about best western. No matter how much I try to go back to this brand, especially when the hotel is ranked second in the entire city, things just never live up to the billing. Had a two storey "suite" that was huge with the smallest bathroom I've ever seen and one of those sinks that is outside of the bathroom itself. Sink had zero counter space and the door to the bathroom cut the space in front of the sink to almost nothing. Cleanliness was not good. Musty smell throughout the room and just areas that were not clean, including the permanent carpet that is in front of the sink. Whoever thinks of having carpet in front of a bathroom sink (or anywhere bathroom related in a hotel room) has no clue what they are doing. The room is huge yet spaces are horrible with a moveable closet that lay behind a spiral staircase making it nearly inaccessible. Breakfast area was nothing more than about a table essentially and again, just very underwhelming as compared to their competition. I'm a simple breakfast person and don't eat much, but I ate elsewhere. In the end I stayed, but would look elsewhere in the future and was glad to move on.

The front desk girls were very friendly upon our arrival we were able to check in early which was nice. The breakfast was great and plentiful with a lot of choices. We had the king suite it was very nice. The bed was very comfortable. Judy keep everything filled at breakfast. Coffee and hot chocolate all day and cookies at night were great. We will be back again we really enjoy our visit every time we come.

Great location, well decorated rooms and clean hotel through out. Very nice staff and helpful as well. Complimentary breakfast was wonderful, as well as fresh baked cookies served after 6pm. Would book and stay there again. And it's a dog friendly hotel as well, and you'd never know it.

This hotel has great amenities, a wide breakfast selection, is in a great location, and is very clean. But the best part of this hotel was the hotel staff. They were so friendly, knowledgeable, and great at providing excellent customer service. They were a pleasure!

We checked in on a Friday for a quick trip up north. This property is pet friendly, which I greatly appreciate. We were able to have a room on the first floor, which made it easier to let the dogs out when they needed to go. There's not a lot of parking so be prepared. We got a good price before the season really starts. The location is right in the middle of things, making it very convenient.

We choose this property every time we are in the Traverse City area in the off-season and need a place to stay. The main reason is because of its pet friendly policy and it's welcoming accommodations. We will continue to book this facility anytime we are in the Traverse City area and in need of accommodations.

They have clean rooms and the friendliest staff. The rooms are a little small but you enjoy the fact that they are clean! The breakfast buffet was wonderful with a great variety. The pool was very relaxing, but no hot tub which was disappointing, but if that is all you can find that your disappointed about then you know it was a great stay. The rates are very reasonable and our pets were welcome. Will definitely stay there again.

We had a great stay at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City! The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. All staff members were friendly. There was a nice breakfast selection. We will definitely look at staying here again. Thank you for the wonderful stay!

Our family stayed here during a family emergency the staff Kristy, Tricia, Alan, Jian and Sheila provided the best customer service we've ever had at any hotel in Traverse city. Alan puts out an awesome breakfast, he was very attentive and personable. Housekeeping is friendly and attentive as well. The staff is exceptional!! If u must stay in Traverse City don't book your stay with anyone else! They're also dog friendly so bring your fur babies with you. We appreciate all their hard work during our stay. Great service is hard to find and this hotel has mastered the art of going above and beyond your expectations! Thank you Sherry Schaedig

This is a Park and Fly hotel. We stayed overnight and left our car there for 2 weeks. The staff are very friendly. The rooms were very clean, quiet and comfortable. There was a full hot-breakfast bar (eggs, bacon, sausage, pancake, toast, muffins, snack bars, juice, coffee, etc.) that was fresh, warm and delicious. The shuttle to and from the airport was prompt. The hotel is only a 10 min drive from the airport. We will certainly utilize this hotel when we fly out of Traverse City. Highly recommend!!!

What a great find! Traveled to Traverse City for a quick weekend getaway. Warm friendly staff at the checkin; spacious, updated room, lovely pool and fitness center. Plus a delicious breakfast buffet in the morning. All the staff was friendly and accommodating. We'll definitely be back

Best Western is always my go-to. Very clean and great staff! With other hotels I am always worried about underlying cleanliness but I never think twice about it here. Was lots of fun and will be staying here again!

Easy check in and out. Clean rooms, located just outside downtown area, yet easy to get to casino and downtown for varied experiences. Was able to access fine dining by just walking next door. With weather a bit challenging, having key community locations close by was a plus. Staff was helpful, as I messed up the reservations. They were very kind in walking me through what I did incorrect.

It was our third day w/o power, and saw this hotel was pet friendly, so off we went! You could not beat the price, which might make you wonder about the quality, but not to fear! The room was very nice and was really clean. They offer a free shuttle to downtown should you want to go out for dinner. Didn't use the pool, but it looked really nice with a handicap chair available. Breakfast was really good too! We will use this hotel again!!

Stayed at the Best Western plus during my recent trip to Traverse city. Their shuttle van was at the airport to meet me even though I arrived at the late hour of midnight. The shuttle was also available to take me to places in downtown and back to the airport at the end of my stay. The room was clean, well appointed with coffee maker, refer, and microwave. A hot breakfast was available in the morning.

My husband and I were in the area celebrating our birthdays. The entire staff at this hotel was very kind and accommodating! Sheila and Carrie made us feel right at home! The rooms were very clean especially the bathroom!! Thank you!

My father and I stayed here for 3 nights at the end of October. This hotel is very clean , updated, and comfortable. The only disadvantage is the lack of counter space at the sink but from the conversation we had with the friendly staff it is a former motel which was over the years enclosed and turned into a hotel which explains the unusual architecture in the hallway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and the staff is the biggest reason. We were exchanging morning greetings with Judy, the delightful woman working the delicious breakfast bar. She asked us what our plans were as we were very unsure of what all to see around Sleeping Bear National Park. She took the time out of the busy breakfast time to find us a good map and highlight the must see views within the park. She made our day very pleasant and memorable. We were very thankful to her the next morning when we saw her along with the staff at the front desk. Whenever we had a question they would go out of their way to find the answer and to help us. The staff is exceptionally friendly. I am giving 5 + starts to the staff but only 4 stars due to the lack of counter space in the room. Wonderful stay and I hope to stay there again some day.

This hotel is located on the main street a few miles from the busy downtown area and just north of Traverse Bay. The facility rooms are clean, quiet, comfortable, well appointed, and have super mattresses for quality sleep. The included breakfast buffet has a wide variety of impressive hot and cold breakfast items. The lobby and adjoining areas were also clean and well appointed. The hotel staff at the front desk are the real super heroes! Tricia, Sheila, and Cristy were gracious helpful, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They mapped out the best tourist locations and made dinner reservations. Incredible!!! Thank you all for a wonderful and memorable stay!!

The hotel is poorly designed with no sink in the bathroom. It also needs to have carpet replaced with laminate flooring. Our room smelled pretty bad from the stained up carpet. Our room had a thick layer of dust on the lamps. The pros: nice staff and dog-friendly.

We we looking for a one night stop in Traverse City, saw this place and it's reviews and booked it, so glad we did. Easy, quick check in. Clean , room, used the laundry and the pool twice ( 24 hour pool) Basic hot breakfast and easy trip out, very highly recommended!

Clean and homey. All upgrades to inside. Very pleasant staff. They even had a warm cookie snack, while they lasted from 6 - 8! The staff were super helpful and nice. I will definitely stay here again when visiting Traverse City.

From the moment I walked in the door a warm welcome was received. From the woman serving breakfast to the front desk, all were friendly and helpful. Sorry I don't have names but they were amazing. I was also acknowledged as a BW member. Unfortunately this is not the norm at very many places. The room is nice and quiet. Breakfast had plenty of options and was plentiful. The warm cookies in the evening were also welcomed. This hotel takes the steps to make a great stay. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I'm a Hilton Diamond member.....and this hotel was CLEANER and BIGGER and NICER than most of the branded Hilton properties I stay at. The bathroom was *immaculate*, a huge Shower, Nice People, Terrific Refrig, nice bkfst. I had to bring my son to the college there in Traverse City, but I did not have the need to stay on the Lake shore. After making some phone calls, I found this Best Western where I was quoted a very good price. After my stay, when I received my bill, it was nearly $300 higher than what I was originally told it would be and when I called them about it, they said “well that was the price we quoted you in your confirmation email sir, so there's nothing I can do about that”. So if they quote you one price over the phone, you better double check your confirmation email!!

I would highly recommend Best Western Plus.Great breakfast. The staff was great.. The location was good. Friendly staff. I like the convenience of having the shuttle to take us to Discovery Cruise . The lady at the front desk arranged the pick for us when we checked in. She worked the second shift. The shuttle drivers were very personable.

I have traveled quite a bit over the years and the staff here from top to bottom was some the best I have ever encountered. They were very friendly and extremely helpful regardless of the issue. The hotel was very clean. The shuttle to downtown and back was just an added bonus. I highly recommend.

I know some areas in Michigan during the summer months you pay premiums to stay but double your room rates or even more is not cool. I look into October the room I had was 168 August when stayed was 370

Best Western Plus Traverse City is a great hotel to stay at. It's the second time we've stayed there in two years. The staff, especially Carrie, was outstanding. They were always friendly and helpful, and made you feel welcomed. The hotel is ideally located and is clean and updated. They offer a continental breakfast and it has something for everyone. And at night, they even have chocolate chip cookies. This is the only hotel we will ever stay at in Traverse City.

Warm, friendly staff, comfortable beds, very clean. We chose this property because they welcome dogs and are close to downtown Traverse City. It's not new or modern and has a rather noisy window air conditioner but it was perfect for our needs. The continental breakfast was a nice amenity as was free WiFi. Didn't get a chance to use indoor pool.

The staff at the hotel and friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Parking is limited and if you have a room with a loft, it does get warm during the night unless you keep the air on. The breakfast was nice and very well stocked. Coffee was the best I have ever had at a hotel!

My toddler, and fiancee went to this Best Western for memorial day weekend. When I looked online, it showed that the room would have a deep bath tub in room, and had a hot tub at the pool. I called the number, and was told there would be a bathtub in room- I said good because I have a toddler, and we need to bathe him. When we arrived, there was no view- unless you love looking at a parking lot. When I looked online- it showed views of the bay. We got into the room, and there was a shower, with a glass 1/2 wall. I called reception, and asked if they had a room with a bath tub as that was what my reservation stated and she stated that they only had 3 bath tubs, and they were all occupied. I asked a different reception lady the next day if we could move and she said they were only for handicapped people. The second day, I went down to see where the hot tub was by the pool, and noticed it was just a pool, no hot tub, I called the front desk and they said there was no hot tub (why did the website say so). In regards to the room and a toddler, all of the furniture was easily tip-able (the night stand, tipped and my kid got injured, the tv was easily tip-able, there were flashing lights from the fire alarm, and the walls were very thin we could hear the neighbors talking all night, and they weren't loud. It took about 10/15 mins to check in, and took about 10/15 mins to check out. Check out day, the fire alarm went off 5 times in 30 mins. No fire, just kept going off. Overall, a really awful waste of money.

When we arrived at our hotel I noticed the road traffic was horrible so I was concerned what it would be like in the rooms. When we walked in everything was beautiful, and silent! Everything looked new, but I found out its been more than a few years since it was updated. Staff was friendly and accomodating to all of our needs. Temperature in the rooms (on a 90 degree day in May) was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel.

Best Western in Traverse City is a very nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Our room was very nice we stayed in the King suite. the only thing in the room was the sleeper sofa needed a little update the cushions sunk down a little to much for comfort. we had a grab and go breakfast due to covid but there was a good selection. we will be back again.

This hotel is on the outskirts of town but located on the lake side. Our room on the second floor had older looking furniture but the bathroom shower looked newly remodeled. Happy it was a walk in and didn't have to climb over a tub. Toilet was really noisy flushing...Room had fridge, microwave, and small coffee pot. Breakfast was grab and go, no hot dishes. They do offer a shuttle into town but we did not use it. Staff were very friendly.

We selected this property after reviewing several in Traverse City that allowed pets. Overall we were very happy with the facility and our stay. The staff is helpful and friendly, from check-in to check-out. We had a first floor room, it wasn't real big, but it was comfortable and very clean. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated and had a walk in shower which was real nice to see. The facility is close to the local college, and their grounds are nice to walk around mornings and evenings. It's a lot quieter area than the main road, and just a short walk to get there. This location is pretty close to shopping in the downtown Traverse City district. You are also a fairly short trip to the Old Mission Peninsula to visit the lighthouse, wineries and other nature areas. Leelenau is also 30 minutes or so away. This was a good stay overall. If you are rolling with your dog it can probably work out very well for you, and your pet.

Best Hotel i have ever stayed at. Amy and Christy made us feel very welcome and recommended the most wonderful places to eat. Our room was very clean and the beds and pillows were so comfortable we over slept. This is also a great pet friendly hotel. Highly recommend this Hotel.

Me and my two children stayed in the room with the spiral staircase and the loft upstairs. Kids loved the loft and claimed it as their "apartment". Room was clean enough but I found the bed to be a tad too hard for my liking. Also, there was 4 pillows on the beds, but they were normal sized pillows squished into smaller "blocks". We tried to fluff it up to a normal size, but the pillow was in a pitiful state after that. We just left the rest as they were -- not very comfy. We also found the shower set up to be odd. There is just a fixed glass partition that only covers half of the shower stall. The other side it wide open and water was getting all over the floor. Not to mention it was a little chilly showering since there was no curtain or door/partition to keep the steam trapped in. The biggest disappointment was that we were informed the pool was down for maintenance upon check-in. We were also told that they had called us to inform us of the pool being down and were sorry for the inconvenience. However, they did NOT call us prior to check-in. I wish they really would have because I would have canceled our reservation and gotten a room somewhere else. The kids thought the room was cool though so there's that.

We enjoyed our last night of a five week trip in Traverse City. We are a Best Western card holder, so we decided to stay in Traverse City. This BW was absolutely great! The font desk people were very helpful. The room was more than adequate and very clean. It was quiet and more than met our needs. The breakfast, especially during covid was more than adequate. We loved the restaurant next door and enjoyed a lovely dinner. We plan to be back near Traverse City this summer and will definitely be back to spend another night.

This is an okay hotel for the price we paid as a member. Customer service was excellent, she even volunteered to find another hotel for me when their pool was not working since I booked the hotel with supposedly the pool working. Second, she investigated my complained of smelling a smoke around our room and hallway and offered suggestions for me. The room itself is little small for 3 adult and a dog but it is clean, hot water pressure is excellent which was a welcomed relief after hiking. The little park across and on side is convenient for our dog to do her business, they even have dog's bags and garbage in there. The location is close to little mall to the right side and left side for food run, gas station, ice cream from culver's and starbuck's coffee. If you need full breakfast, Denny's close by or the Omellete shop. Also, I like the fact that they provide appointment when you want housekeeping to come in and clean your room. The best part, only charge $20 for a pet/per day. Overall, I would choose this again hopefully the pool will be working by then.

We have stayed at this hotel with our well behaved Golden Doodle and Golden Retriever several times when doing Traverse City getaways. Pet fee is $20 per night. We had a nice king room with a sofa. Hotel was quiet despite being on a busy road. There is a small dog walk area with bags and trash can provided. There is a park adjacent/a short walk across the street where there are trails for walking a dog. Breakfast was coffee, juice, fruit, cereal, hard boiled eggs, and baked goods individually wrapped in plastic. Guests could help themselves and take a tray of food back to their room; no eating in the dining area. Covid protocols were followed and the rooms and common areas were clean. There is a wide hallway on the first floor — one could meet a friend there to chat. Everything in TC is just a short drive away—downtown, waterfront park, marina, restaurants, shopping. Front desk woman was great at multi-tasking and was friendly and helpful when asked questions or asked for assistance. We will stay again at this place.

We take Staycations at least once a year. First time here at This Best Western, the service for the price was a great value. The staff was super. Having a shuttle to town a big plus. Comfortable and affordable .

We've stayed here twice now and been very satisfied both times. The front desk staff has been very friendly and quick. We chose Best Western due to their pet friendly policy and place we could bring our dog with us for a quick getaway. The staff was very friendly towards him and you can tell they enjoy having the pets there as well. Breakfast was a surprise to me (during these Covid times) as I didn't think that there would be anything available, but all breakfast was nicely individually wrapped and ready for grab-n-go! The only complaint I could think of is parking gets a little tight if you are out and about at night and return at a later hour.

I have no complaints at all about our stay at Best Western Plus. The amenities provided for the low price was a bonus. My husband and I were both very impressed and will definitely stay here again the next time we need to stay in Traverse City. All staff members were super friendly and helpful.

The staff were wonderful! They provided breakfast early for us and were very friendly. The room was very clean. The bed was clean and soft. We needed a place to stay for one night that was close to the airport. There were a lot of choices, and we were very happy with our choice. I will not look for another place the next time. I will choose this Best Western.

Carrie the assistant manager was wonderful!! Very clean, nice beds, updated appliances and brand new looking tubs, showers, sinks etc. I would recommend this 100%! I have not one complaint on this property, everything was easily accessible.

This hotel was super clean. The beds were super comfortable. The staff was amazingly friendly. The breakfast selection was pretty decent considering covid and everything was grab and go. AND the pool is open 24 hours!

Like the 2 bed loft, 24/7 coffee and juice. I had an issue with the cleanliness of the room. It was in desperate need of dusting and vacuuming. Crumbs, a button and some food debris was there from a previous guest. Please fix for future guests.

In these times of Covid we found this to be a safe , clean, and comfortable place to stay . The staff followed guidelines at the front desk , in the common areas and at breakfast . Our room was clean and well maintained . In addition, the motel is pet friendly and reasonably priced . We recommend it .

Carrie was so nice at check in we decided to stay all of our trip here instead of our original plan of 1 night. I had made an error with the reservation and she fixed it without making me feel bad about it. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. They did have grab and go breakfast and really good coffee! Especially loved the hot water and the water pressure in the shower! Christy was equally wonderful at checkout. It was quick and she was so friendly. Loved the conversation every time I saw her. We will definitely stay here again.

Friendly staff, the room could have dusted, hair in the sink and shower. Great location, coffee in the lobby was hot and miss, good pool area, no hot tub. Asked for clean towels daily since there wasn't maid service . The bed also had a lot of hair

Pleasant staff, comfortable bed, plenty of pillows. Coffee and afternoon cookies was nice. We did have a smoke detector issue - low battery alarm that wouldn't shut off despite changing the battery. Staff addressed promptly.

We had 2 comfortable queen beds and the bathroom was clean with enough towels for both of us. Price felt a touch high but the hotel met our expectations. Due to Covid we aren't going to judge any attempts at meals; they did their best. Staff was efficient and friendly.

I felt the place was way overpriced for what we spent on our stay considering it wasn't like we were staying at a five-star hotel. We feel we should have got a major price reduction due to them not serving a hot breakfast due to Covid. They could have easily had cereal and small milk cartons like another hotel we just stayed at provided. Air conditioning would randomly shut off 1/2 way through the night and you'd wake up feeling like you were in hell. Loved the cookies when they had them. Shuttle driver was nice. Might stay there again but it would totally depend on the price and rather or not I got a better deal somewhere else.

Stayed late June 2020 during COVID. Site says "Face masks required for staff in public areas". FYI the front desk gal didn't have a mask on for even one second during our 2 night stay. Prices were high since we booked last minute, but nonetheless too high for what you get. The breakfast is really pared down (no cereal for example) due to covid so our final morning we went to Reflect and had an amazing full on breakfast at a reasonable price. Room was clean, cooling system and shower worked great! Pool was freezing, but we did get used to it pretty quickly. The pool area floor is made of raised little stones which make it good to grip but uncomfortable to walk on, especially when I would step on a loose stone it felt like stepping on a lego, OUCH. Location is very good, close to downtown and the lake. Wifi was generally good.

I've traveled this country extensively, and over the past 20 years have stayed in hotels of all shapes and sizes. I have only left a hotel mid stay due to circumstances two times out of hundreds of stays. I remember each of them, and this location just became number three. Not a good list to find yourself on. I had high hopes for his location, due to its current #3 spot in the rankings. But the problems started right at check in. The hotel has/had located smoking posts near each entrance and sure enough there were several people smoking and blocking the main entrance. Smoking isn't allowed within 10 feet of a building entrance, we asked the people there if they could move as we all had to pass by to enter the building. They very rudely commented that it was a smoking area, evidenced by the post, and they weren't moving. Remember that this is during the height of the 6 foot rules. There's floor stickers, Plexiglas and hand sanitizer inside the lobby, but yet outside you're on your own to pass through the wall of smoke. Okay to congregate by the entrance, but not indoors? Okay,,,,we let them be, and walked around them. I then spoke to the woman at the front desk about why they have their smoking area near every entrance. She blamed the maintenance guy, and stated that she couldn't leave the front desk to move the post(s), and so those remained until the following morning when I happened to mention it to the female clerk on duty…..she moved one of them herself in a short time frame. Okay, so speaking of the next morning….we had the pleasure(?) of working with Scott,,,,,who didn't initially have a name tag on, but after my asking his name he did add that. Well it seems he was also in charge of what was supposed to be a breakfast offering. Well,,,,,orange juice is supposed to be orange, but not today. The sparse offering will be blamed on Covid 19, but then again I have seen other hotels do a much, much better job during these times. Sealed breakfast sandwiches, dry cereal in boxes and milks, and other foods are seen elsewhere……not here. Some hard boiled eggs, some yogurt, sad looking Danishes, some fruit, and some not orange, orange juice…..Scott seemed miffed when I mentioned the juice, he clearly hadn't filled it that morning….and yes I was there when it first opened, hoping to avoid the rush. Your coffee cups in your room are individually wrapped, for sanitation purposes. The lids, which you place upon your lips, are just simply on the counter, another misstep in their infection prevention. Later, we wanted to use the pool, which was located down a flight of stairs, but couldn't because the elevator didn't work. That's no good if one of you is in a wheelchair! When I asked, Scott about it, he very nastily replied that the elevator had only been broken for two hours. Other recent reviews have stated that the elevator was broken on their stay(s), so it must be a recurring problem. Imagine if you were a disabled person, trapped in the basement (or second floor) due to an elevator that had known problems. The hotel reportedly has NO handicapped rooms with two beds,,,,,rather inconvenient to many families. If you have a dog, don't even go to close to the dog break area, it looks like it's been a while since it was cleaned. Hallway noise from the odd layout was rather loud. Beds were hard, but there was good water pressure and the A/C worked well and the room looked clean. But in the end, the overall attitude of the staff was not worth staying another night. This place wasn't horrible, but why put up with this kind of treatment when there are better options elsewhere? We left early in the morning, checked into another hotel, had a GREAT stay, and delicious breakfast the following morning. Not sure how or when this earned third place, but in this visit they didn't earn it from me! They get two stars and that's pushing it.

Great staff. Great shuttle drivers. Wonderful restaurant right next door. Clean, comfortable rooms. Good value.From the time We got there, the staff was extremely kind and helpful. The Shuttle drivers were wonderful about getting you where you needed to go and picking you back up quickly.

I've stayed at this Best Western before and had a better stay. I realize they just reopened after COVID closure and that's why I got such a great price. But the elevator broke, the computer in the lobby broke and breakfast was mediocre. I was disappointed in my 2nd story room (no elevator) which though very clean and large, had an extremely small vanity.

We stayed here on a spontaneous road trip and it was great! The rooms are very clean and you get a quiet nights sleep. We had to change rooms because of an HVAC issue, and Carrie made it almost fun! Very nice breakfast also. Highly recommend!

The customer service is great, the nights we stayed the attendant Carrie went above and beyond, everything I forgot And asked for she had, things you wouldn't expect them to have they do, the Pool didn't smell like chlorine central like most hotels pools do, the hot breakfast was great, I'd definitely recommend a million times definitely going back soon, just a real great experience, Thank you for being Great

Look no farther. This is a fabulous ward winning hotel at a great rate. People, you can't do better than this for a Traverse City hotel. While the hotel and rooms are clean and well maintained it is the staff that really elevate this hotel to another level. I was cheerfully and warmly greeted by Sheila and she went above and beyond to ensure that I was well taken care of (I love when I check into a room and then the front desk calls to make sure the room is satisfactory). The breakfast was also great and I was again warmly greeted by the attendant. And get a load of this: the #1 restaurant in T.C (Reflect) is RIGHT NEXT DOOR. Better yet- you get a $5 coupon to use at it. A solid '10' all the way around.

We stayed in the 2 queen loft and enjoyed the layout. Staff was friendly, breakfast was good, free shuttle to down town that runs to midnight, accommodations were fitting for price, and only complaint was limited parking (but not a deal breaker in any way)

We had such a wonderful stay at the Best Western Plus Traverse City. The room and facilities are spotless. The staff is very friendly and informative. Judy and Alan were so helpful! We will definitely stay there again.

We were a little unsure about staying here but we are so happy we did. We even extended our stay a night! Clean rooms, amazing breakfast with some gluten free options, very friendly staff, natural toiletries, and just a comfortable place to rest after exploring.

Making lodging for a funeral, things were up in the air and after calling 3 times I was Always treated courteously, and received confirmations immediately. Front desk staff was excellent and full breakfast hot and refreshed often! Great value! Yes! Book it!

Very happy with our stay. Off season price was great, clean room, fantastic staff, OK breakfast. Free shuttle bus to downtown area for shopping, bars, breweries, restaurants. Pool was a nice touch at the end of the day.

I can always count on the Best Western in Traverse City to be a comfortable, clean and reasonably priced stay! Great location, well kept property, and best of all it's a pet friendly hotel that didn't put us in a run down room. The pet fee was also reasonable! It may not be super modern or trendy, but it's a great place to stay!

Needed a value priced hotel for 2 days in December for my family. We'd rather spend money on "eats" and "drinks" than hotels. The BW was great. Good beds, Great shower, nice breakfast and accommodating staff. Great location. Half mile from Front Street.

When we were on our house hunting trip this past fall, we had made our reservations at a competing hotel, Upon arrival, we found out that the hotel was going through renovations and we did not want to go through that experience again. We stopped at this Best Western Plus and learned that they were completely booked. However, Jian Blair, the General Manager, went over and above to help us find a room at a competing hotel just down the road. Because of his diligence, I resolved to book here when we came back to move into our new home. We stayed here for six nights awaiting our furniture to arrive. With that background, I agree with much of what has been written by my fellow travelers. This is a very nice facility, dog-friendly, and great staff,

It is a must stay. Nice clean rooms, great free breakfast, but the most important, the fantastic staff they have, especially Angela. She and the staff made us feel so very welcome. Always making sure everything was okay, and if we had any problems. I could say much more, just stay there and you'll see.

We stayed here with my daughter's b-ball team and the rooms and facilities were great! The customer service, especially Angela, was fantastic and the staff couldn't have been nicer. The kids loved the pool and I was excited to see a workout room here as well. The free breakfast was also amazing!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

The Best Western is a great place to stay, particularly if you need to bring a dog. The staff are so friendly and helpful. When we checked out, Angela noticed that our rewards were not applied to our stay. She applied the rewards and saved us a few dollars. The breakfast area is wonderful. Lot's of items to choose from and fresh made cookies in the evening. Everyone is just so friendly and willing to do what they can to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Booked a room here for Toast the Season on the wine trail. There were 1500 people up for the event for the weekend and prices here were still very reasonable. We had a change in our travel plans so I called and Angela was extremely helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us. She even upgraded our room! Thank you Angela! Rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was a bit hectic, seems like everyone decided to eat at the same time and they had some trouble keeping up with demand. In all though a fantastic stay.

I would like to give a HUGE shout out to Angela who works at the front desk at Best Western PLUS in Traverse City MI. She was nothing short of amazing... from the moment I called to reserve the room to the last day I was there and went down to get a cup of coffee and she said “ Good morning Jodie.” She is personable, pleasant and goes above and beyond to ensure the stay at the hotel is enjoyable. Thank you Angela... when we come to Traverse City we will definitely be staying there!!!

This was our first stay at Best Western Plus in Traverse City. We were very pleased to find this was a pet friendly hotel. Our room was very clean, quiet, comfortable and welcoming. The location of our room was very convenient to take our dog out to the dog area. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with our stay and will definetly book again. Highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with your pet or even if you are not.

I'll preface by saying this was a spontaneous weekend trip that was much needed from my busy life in SE Michigan. When I was looking up hotels, best western plus came up so I explored it. Happy I did.

I stayed here several nights last week, and needed to come back to town so here I am again. This time I had time to check out the pool. The water was pleasantly warm but unfortunately no hot tub. Breakfast food is better than some discount hotels where the scrambled eggs are often watered down and tasteless. Here the eggs tasted like eggs and they didn't have the texture of a wet sponge. They also have large link sausage and bacon every morning, along with other things like hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal, bread items and juice that doesn't taste watered down. Lots of TV channels available. WiFi works great.

This Best Western Plus is outstanding. Everything from checking in to checking out was perfection. Every employee is helpful, friendly, kind and are happy! They are willing to answer all questions and take pride in all aspects of their job. Thank you and I appreciate everything!

Our room was quiet and comfortable. Breakfast was fine. However, the first night the TV was staticky/pixelated and voices didn't match the picture. We thought it was because of a rainstorm outside. When we woke to a nice day and the TV was the same, we reported it. TV was repaired (new cable) while we were out. The next night the shower water wouldn't heat enough to step into the spray. Took two different maintenance men two trips to fix it. They said the boiler problem was because of how old the building is. We were offered significant number of reward points for the troubles we experienced.

I lucked into meeting front desk wrangler Angela at the restaurant she also works at. It was a happy coincidence as I was asking about a nice, nearby place to stay overnight, and there was a lot of competition in this area. She kindly placed a call to the hotel and had a room held for me-- it was getting late, turning out to be a busy weekend and she was able to secure their last single room!-- which I promptly claimed. I couldn't be happier with the accommodation!!! Clean, spacious, all the amenities are covered and the Plus includes a well appointed breakfast buffet (I had a sweet conversation with the attendant about the still-blooming rose bushes I could see out the window, which it turns out she is the house gardener/ caretaker of!), which was a really great time-saver (plus, it was raining this a.m.!!!) and hit the spot!! Angela was on the early a.m. shift so I got the opportunity to Thank her for her help, and how happy I was with my stay! I would definitely recommend this Best Western to any and all of my friends and family, without hesitation. Thanks again Angela!!!

We stayed in Traverse City and took a driving tour of the Leelanau Peninsula to see the fall colors. We stopped in Leland for seafood chowder at the Cove, then to Glen Arbor to shop at the Cherry Republic, then returned to our hotel from Empire. Our grandkids live in the area so we invited them to the hotel to swim in the huge pool. Had a good time.

Our room was comfortable and very quiet, and we enjoyed our stay. There were a couple minor issues. In a 2-queen room, the closet was very close to one bed, preventing the closet doors from fully opening and making it difficult to use the closet. And the vanity is not in the bathroom, it is in the entryway, making it difficult to use the sink/mirror without bothering others in the room or being in the walkway for the room door. Other than these design issues, we liked the room and hotel.

This is an interesting hotel. The halls are enclosed, but have a feeling like they were once outside. We had a king bed room and it was very nice. Lots of space and a comfy bed. Breakfast was good. The decor of this hotel is very pretty too. There was a small issue with the credit card machine, but I don't think it was the front desk's fault. The biggest issue I had was the parking. I actually had to park at the hotel next door because there were zero spaces at out hotel. There were several utility trucks taking 2 to 3 parking spaces and the employee at check in knew it. This didn't seem right to me.

I'm sure I'll be back when I'm in the area. I'm always looking for a nice place to stay that is also pet-friendly. The entire place was clean. The pool was nice with a nice temperature. They have an exercise room. The beds were comfortable. The continental breakfast was also good with a good selection and fresh food. They also have a laundry room but we didn't use that. Check-in and check-out was friendly and fast.

We went to Traverse City for our anniversary. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The staff was fantastic. The room was clean, comfortable, and updated. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We will definitely come back here next time.

We stayed here on September 5th and 6th during a bike trip and had 3 rooms. The service and the facility were excellent. Everything was so clean and the staff went out of their way to help us with what we needed. The breakfast service was just excellent. That area was clean and well-organized and the food was very good. The woman in charge of the breakfast was just fantastic. If we go back to that area, we will definitely stay there -- it is a great place.

Overall, it was a great stay. Rooms were clean and quiet. They allow pets, so there were dogs present. The bathrooms were clean and seemed newly decorated, however, they were a little tight for maneuvering. We had a great time and I would highly recommend the place again. It is a very quick car ride to downtown Traverse City and although we didn't use it the hotel offers a shuttle to get you to and from downtown.

Nice location with a bonus shuttle available for downtown businesses. The shower door is weird but otherwise it was a great room. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to others. We used reward points so the value was great!

This pet friendly hotel is our first preference for staying in the Traverse City area. Renovations and friendly staff have made this an enjoyable and comfortable place. Breakfast is great with a lot of variety from eggs to waffles and fruit, coffee and juice and pastries and cereals. The rooms are quiet and comfortable.

Nice room, very quiet with a large TV and good channel selection. About 2 miles to downtown with good travel time. Parking was a bit tight late at night. Free breakfast was good. Nice lobby and friendly housekeeping staff.

Overall, this was a great hotel close to the downtown area and all the attractions nearby. Decent price too! Breakfast was okay and everyone was very pleasant. No restaurant at the hotel, but you can cross the parking lot to the restaurant next door. Quiet even though on main drag. Pillows were too soft for my liking.

This was our first trip to Traverse City and we couldn't have picked a better hotel to experience all the area has to offer! The location is excellent-close to downtown, with an on demand shuttle so no need to drive to dinner, and close to both the Leelanau Peninsula and the Old Mission Peninsula, where hiking and wine tasting abounds! The rooms are clean and quiet and the hot breakfast is awesome. The staff is warm and welcoming, but this review wouldn't be complete without a shout out to Judy, the breakfast attendant. Judy was our personal tour coordinator.Having grown up in the area, she was full of tips, suggestions and, most importantly smiles! Judy managed to perform her duties as the breakfast attendant while engaging, always with a smile, with all the guests. Judy is truly a gem.We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Traverse City.

I traveled to the TC area for business, the service was top notch, location was great and the property was clean. The beds were comfortable though the lighting in the room wasn't the best would I would recommend this to any traveler.

My wife & I enjoyed a lovely late summer weekend here, attending a family wedding. While the rates for all hotels were still “high season”, (the most we've ever paid for a hotel room!), this hotel ranked high for value. We've stayed at several other similar nearby hotels along this main road in recent years, but this was our best experience. Our first-floor single Queen bed room was cramped (the odd layout allowed little room between foot of the bed and the wall, where a large TV hung). We literally had to turn sideways to pass through to the bathroom entry, and still hit our knees in bed frame a few times. Despite the tight layout, the room and bath were very clean, with all amenities in order. The housekeeping staff delivered additional supplies we requested. The pool area was a popular attraction for the many soccer kids staying here for a tournament. I wished there was a hot tub, as I would've enjoyed a long soak to help a sore back. Where this hotel shines is the lobby / breakfast area. It's very modern, inviting and clean. More than the great visual impression is the top-notch, friendly staff. The breakfast lady Judy was on top of everything, super-attentive and very friendly. Food was good, with as many choices as you'll find at any hotel in this class. Judy and her assistant Alan kept all items stocked, and promptly cleared tables. I'd return just for Judy's excellent service. Christy and other staff at front desk were professional and very courteous. One great surprise was at Saturday breakfast I mentioned to Judy that my wife was sleeping late on her birthday. Judy took it upon herself to arrange a complimentary bottle of local wine, two glasses, corkscrew and hand-written card, which greeted my wife when we returned to our room later that afternoon. A very thoughtful gesture! We will return.

We have been staying at the Best Western due to surgeries received at the hospital. All personnel working at the motel have been exceptionally helpful and cheerful. Breakfast was fantastic and alot to choose from even when we cannot eat gluten.

The Best Western Plus Traverse City is a great place to stay. I love the hotel and the staff make it even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel. It's not located downtown but it's close and they offer shuttle service. You cant beat this hotel.

Amazing knowledge of area. The friendly, professional staff made a difference, especially Karl the night front desk clerk was very informative and gave many great travel tips. Angela daytime front desk clerk even helped us find a dog sitter! Location was centrally located as we toured the Northern Michigan area. Definitely will recommend this hotel to our friends & family. 5 Stars!

We had a very pleasant stay here. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The free breakfast was a cut above the standard hotel breakfast. The free shuttle service to downtown was a really nice feature.

We came to Traverse City for a family wedding. Several of us stayed at Best Western and it was a great stay. They were very accommodating with special requests. The rooms were very clean and nicely decorated. The lobby was spotless and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. It is conveniently located and easy to access. We would highly recommend.

I initially checked into another budget hotel which we did not like at all so we canceled that hotel and booked here. It was a breath of fresh air as soon as we got to our hotel room. Felt like a home away from home. The staff were immediately friendly, the lobby was clean, room was clean and nice decor. Plus loved the full breakfast, cookies at 6pm, 24 hour pool, and the shuttle service were nice perks on top of everything else. I've stayed at BW throughout the country and never had a bad experience. This was probably the best I've been too, maybe because it's a plus. I should've booked with them to begin with!

We found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean. The restaurant next door was a very convenient option for dinner and the food was good. The free breakfast had lots of choices and the staff was attentive.

The building is old looking but it was very clean and the bathroom fixtures were new, shower looked new, the bathroom sink was outside the bathroom if that matters to you. Everything was clean and the front staff was fantastic. Very helpful with places to eat and what to do at Sleeping Bear Dunes where we were headed the next day. The breakfast was very good, eggs, waffles, sausage, american fries and all the other usual stuff. My first time at a Best Western. So many choices in Traverse City and this hotel was reasonably priced.

The manager Jian and staff are welcoming and great. The facility has been remodeled and is clean and quite. Fantastic breakfast with a variety of hot items. the hotel is in a great location in the city close to the water.

I stayed at BW because I collect points and I have limited $$$ The staff were so into the IM support team . Very close to Athletes village ( 2-3 K walk) Offered 4 am breakfast on race day Had special Iron man door hangers with event schedule...special iron man branded traverse city ...places to eat etc. !!!! Rooms are small ..there were two of us...But I would stay here again and the race was amazing!!

The Traverse City Best Western has a great location in town. Close to downtown and to Old Mission Peninsula. The employees were Fantastic! Friendly, helpful, courteous, and very professional! The facilities are very clean and very comfortable. The pool and exercise areas were quite nice! Breakfast was standard breakfast fare, but well stocked, good selection, and tasty. We will definitely use this location again when traveling to Traverse City!

We haven't been to Traverse City in decades and wanted a relaxing getaway for our anniversary. Traverse City offered a beautiful setting with all we were looking for. Winery's? Too many to mention with great selections. Restaurants? Surprising selection with great food especially fresh fish. Scenery? Hard to get more beautiful than Grand Traverse Bay with numerous vistas, especially from some of the wineries. Town life? Charming small town feel downtown with many offerings for food and shopping. Hotels? Many choices here also must praise the local Best Western Plus. People really do make the difference and they truly did exceed our expectations.

The staff here is phenomenal. We had unusual circumstances and the front desk attendants on both day and night shift went above and beyond to help us. This Best Western property is adorable. The exterior of the building is colorful and beachy, and stands out from surrounding buildings. The inside is just as pleasant. It put us in the mood to be on the beach, and felt very comfortable and welcoming. At check-in, I was greeted by a woman who was very friendly and happy to explain different nearby attractions as it was my first time to Traverse City. The layout is unique, with wide open hallways and plenty of entrances around the building so you can park close to your room. The room had built-ins with lots of storage, so if you're staying a while or someone who hangs/stores their clothes outside of their luggage while travelling, it's easy to do here. The pillows were a little small, and the beds were a bit firm but overall I was comfortable here. Everyone we met was really friendly and helpful, never making us feel like a burden even when we asked for a lot. The service was excellent. As a hotel employee myself, I really appreciate this. We were only here one night, so our final experience was with the breakfast attendants on our way out. We arrived late to breakfast, 15 minutes before it ended, expecting to pick off of what was still left. Everything was still relatively well-stocked, but better than that, the man running the breakfast bar overheard us mention that there was no bacon left and offered to make some just for us. The variety was great. On a Thursday morning, they offered scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, French toast, sausage, bacon, and 2 types of waffles plus everything else a traditional hotel breakfast has. We were very happy with the service and the selection. Thank you! Also a note to anyone travelling to Traverse, most restaurants close at 9 or 10, and I recommend visiting or driving the Leelanau Peninsula. It's full of vinyards, orchards, hills, and different lakes. It's a beautiful drive with cute little beach/harbor towns.

This hotel is just a mile away from the main downtown area, and they have a shuttle that can often take you there for no charge, which was very nice. The hotel is clean and the breakfast is above average. We definitely would stay here again.

We had a quick one night stay here and were blown away by the staff. They went out of their way to help accommodate us with their shuttle to the airport and to drop off a rental car. We didn't eat breakfast here but did dine next door at the Cambria Suites hotel. Dinner was fantastic and only steps from the Best Western. While the location is right off the main road the water was within walking distance thru a nice residential neighborhood. I highly recommend this resort.

Nice room but felt a little cramped. There was very little room between the foot of the bed and the wall and TV. Breakfast was good and I appreciated it started early. They also offered a breakfast bag to go if you were out before it started. The pool area was nice and it was open 24 hours. Room was clean and everything appeared well maintained.

We booked last minute and I'm so happy it worked out. The room was a nice size and had the most comfortable beds. It was also a loft—but that was super fun. The bathrooms were clean and the shower modern. Breakfast was so tasty! Great eggs, waffles, bagels, and French toast. The staff was pleasant and polite. The hotel is close to everything. Would stay again!

Great hot breakfast. Could use a little work in the overall design of the breakfast area, the food itself was excellent. Heated Indoor pool, Fitness Room, and front desk all 24 hours. Everything else was 5 STARS!!!

The stand out part of our stay here was the hotel staff. The gals at the Front Desk were efficient, friendly and helpful. However, the star of the show was Judy in the breakfast nook. She managed to keep the breakfast bar well stocked, the tables clean and wiped down, and the foot traffic areas neat... all with a warm smile on her face. She was very quick to ask if you needed anything, or were looking for something in particular. When we travel with our daughter, we often stay at properties that offer complimentary breakfast. Sadly, we have had breakfast at other well known properties that had two or even three hosts that did not do as good a job as Judy. She does a wonderful job of representing this hotel. We had previously stayed at Cambria, which happens to be this hotel's sister property. Unlike Cambria, Best Western is obviously an older property that has been updated. The outside is neat and fresh. They have done the best they could with room floorplans from years ago. They offered lots of ambient lighting which helped brighten the otherwise dark rooms. The rooms were mostly updated but we would have definitely benefitted from a newer mattress. The room we had included a loft area which our teen daughter thought was cool. The shower had excellent water pressure and the bathroom was restocked with personal sized toiletries every day. In addition to needing a newer mattress, the room desperately needed more counter space overall, as well as a second luggage rack in the loft area. Overall the room was clean and well kept. The bathroom was very clean. The only negative was that the carpet could have used a good shampoo.

Hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. Location was perfect for our group's brewery/kayak and winery tours. Hotel provided a complimentary shuttle to downtown Traverse City on the half hour. Breakfast, Internet, and parking was included.

We had a problem with the fridge working in the room and it was taken care of by a very efficient staff member, Carrie. Hotel could use some updates, but due to an upgrade we were on 2nd level and it was quiet for us.

We stay here often because of the "family" environment. Jian, Christy and Carrie are the best to insure everything goes well. Their standard of excellence makes this a great experience. Cleanliness, Friendliness and also a great breakfast.

This hotel is in a great location to see all the sites around Traverse City. Everyone working there was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Breakfast is the standard Best Western fare. No complaints. Good value for your money

We loved this hotel. The staff was very friendly, our rooms were always clean and the location is great! The only downsides were that the bathroom and vanity areas were very small. I don't think 4 adults would be comfortable in one room. We had two queen beds, our twin 14 year old slept in the loft and the stairs were so incredibly loud and squeaky. Not a deal breaker as like I said the place was very clean and updated.

This hotel is immaculate. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The breakfast at this hotel is better than I've had anywhere! The price to stay here is average for the area, but when you consider the quality and variety of breakfast choices they offer, I consider the price a great value. I've stayed here a few times and after the first, I stopped looking at other hotels in Traverse City. I automatically book here when I'm in the area.

The hotel itself was your typical hotel. It was well kept and looked to be recently renovated. Upon arrival, I asked for a room with a tub because we were traveling with our 6 month old. Jian made some phone calls and was able to accommodate my request. The hotel was sold out for several days so this was no easy feat! Judy was the breakfast attendant who made our vacation! We had our daughter in a high chair and Judy brought us towels to make the fit more snug. She offered this to us and did it with a smile. We would stay here again mainly because the staff was amazing and helpful!

Our stay was very enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and served on time. The Staff was very friendly and helpful from the beginning making sure I knew where the amenities could be found and the times for the snacks and breakfast. The room was up to date with a good deal of room to enjoy.

I booked this property due to its location and price. Pros: ~Location to downtown...only 5 minute drive. Could walk if wanted. ~Location to Old Mission Peninsula and its wineries. This property is at the base of the peninsula and is an easy drive to 11 uniquely different wineries on the peninsula. ~Every member of the staff encountered (front desk, breakfast, housekeeping, and maintenance) was very friendly and helpful. ~Property and room was clean. Room and bathroom/shower has been recently and nicely updated. ~Breakfast was typical continental variety, but kept hot and stocked until its close at 10:00am ~Pool appeared clean (we did not use, but it was busy most nights of our visit). ~Affordable when compared to Traverse City accomodations Cons: ~Updated shower was interesting in that it only had one pane of fixed, clear glass...no doors or curtain. Try to visualize sliding shower doors, but with only one door leaving the other half open. Hard to keep water in the shower. Was nice shower...just odd that it was completely open on one end. ~No tub. Only a walk-in shower ~When hotel is sold out as it was a couple nights we visited, they run out of parking (and there is no other place to park). Guests made their own spots that nearly blocked one of two entrances off the highway. All in all, this was a nice, clean, affordable place to stay that we would definitely consider again. The friendly employees made it a pleasant stay.

Great place to stay, especially with pets. Service was top notch. Room exceeded our requirements with a pet. Excellent location for visit downtown or anywhere you need to go. Nice restaurant next door.

Best hotel experience under $300/night so far. My rewards status earned us a room upgrade, as well as a gift bag with snacks and water - even while arriving after 11pm. Staff was great, room was awesome, and the location is incredible. I'll definitely go back soon.

Stayed there for a few days and it's easy to find Nd rather close to the airport. Room was clean and air conditioner worked well. It could run on fan (continuously) for the white noise. Check in was okay. There is no market or snack shop to purchase anything...just some vendo machines. Breakfast was passed due to its content. For the rate for the room, should have been a buffet. There is a shuttle that you sign up for that will drop you off and pick you up, however downtown only. Runs until 10:30 ish pm. Parking is okay.... Needs a little TLC....but that's my opinion. I'll pass next time.

The staff were all very kind and helpful with advice for places to eat and visit. Arrangements were made for a shuttle to downtown, the shuttle drivers were also very helpful and courteous and gave recommendations for dinner and drinks. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. Also, remote controls were cleaned and put into a protective sleeve - no germy remote controls! Jian was very accommodating and wanted to be sure our stay was exceptional. He was friendly and personable, as well as being concerned about the cleanliness and appearance of the lobby and rooms. He made us feel welcome and was genuinely pleased that we choose their hotel. Judy in the breakfast area was very pleasant and welcoming. The food was kept well stocked and she greeted each guest personally. We chose to return to this hotel on our trip back home because of the service.

The staff at this hotel are always so nice and helpful. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The breakfast is good and the area is kept clean (great breakfast staff attending to the area). Great location.

This was our second visit to the Best Western in Traverse and it will be our first choice for all future visits. The staff including the managers, front desk staff, maintenance and house keeping are all top notch! They made us feel welcome and took care of our every need. The facility is clean and comfortable. The bathrooms had been remodeled since our last visit and were really well done! The bed was very comfortable!Their complimentary breakfast is pretty standard, but they make sure that everything is fresh, hot and well stocked. The lobby area is comfy and inviting, as is the dining area. The location is a short drive to downtown and the beach. It is a short walk to The Dennos museum and Bryant park. We could not have asked for better accommodations during our visit to Traverse City!

Krissy at the front desk is phenomenal. She went above and beyond to make B-day excellent.Judy in breakfast area is a true gem ,very hospitable and kind. They gave great site seeing advice for our first visit to Traverse City .Will definitely recommend to family and colleagues.

Front of the house staff are cordial and extremely helpful. Room was fine. Free shuttle is very convenient for getting around Traverse City without having to deal with the traffic. Breakfast was very good. Will stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City recently. Everyone was cheerful, helpful & everything was clean & comfortable. The Breakfast bar offered a variety of food to choose from & the people working in that area were so helpful & friendly & kept the area clean & the food filled. Stayed one night. Greeted pleasantly. They honored our request to not be near pets. The beds were really comfy and the shower was as nice as anywhere we've been. Breakfast was really good and the lady in charge of the area kept it clean and full of supplies with a smile.

We needed to get a room for a night rather spontaneously during the weekend. Angela from the front desk helped us with that and it was clear early on that she is the best receptionist I've come across, ever. Helpful, friendly, open, welcoming, I was really impressed by her. Judy from the breakfast staff is wonderful as well, we could tell she's committed to her work! Great employees, great clean hotel (dog friendly and with a 24 hour 11 ft deep pool, hard to come across), we'll definitely be back!

This hotel is highly lauded by T.City Magazine Ad. Does not live up to hype. Room condition, amenities and some of the staff were not nearly as advertised. Found hotel to be low on Disability friendliness scale, only 2 disabled parking spaces and no elevator. Bathroom was small and vanity counter space nonexistent.

This hotel has a nice 11 ft deep pool, a variety of breakfast options but most of all spectacular customer service. We were in town for a sporting event so being away from home on Easter morning was very different for us. It was a pleasant surprise to come back to our clean spruced up room serviced by Bianca on Saturday. Angela at the Front Desk greeted us with a smile and “Happy Easter” on Sunday morning. I can't forget to mention the beautifully made Easter bags that were on everyone's door. What a special touch. In all my years of traveling, I've never encountered such service. I was walking down the hall and a housekeeper named Heather went out her way to speak to us. I would recommend to stay at this hotel when in Traverse City. The extra mile that is taken at the Best Western is far beyond any other hotel in TC.

The Best Western is conveniently located and easy to find. The hotel is clean and well-maintained and our room was very nicely furnished. The staff is outstanding--friendly, helpful, and very pleasant. The breakfast buffet is a plus; the room is clean and bright and the options are plentiful.

We found this hotel via the BringFido website as we have a small dog. We were pleasantly surprised at how convenient and central this hotel is to downtown Traverse and the surrounding area. The manager Jian and his staff are all very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel, even if you aren't traveling with Fido!

I grew up in TC and frequently come back to visit. I've spent time in many of the local hotels. The Best Western is always a go-to for me. It's always clean, it's close to down town, has great service and is a very reasonable price. You won't be disappointed.

Stayed here to be close to the hospital the following morning. Very clean and quiet. Nice wide hallways. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast is 'typical' eggs, sausage, pancakes/waffles, etc. but kept full at all times. Cookies every evening from 6 - 8. The hotel next door, Reflect Bistro, is very upscale and an easy walk. If you let the front desk know you are heading there, they will give you a $5 coupon.

Loved the staff and cleanliness of this hotel. The price included breakfast and it was delish.....the coffee was ready whenever you needed it......cookies served after 6pm. Yum! Clean towels were always available for the asking. HBO included in price as well. Wonderful hotel. Very impressed.

Nice and clean. Staff very friendly. Breakfast was good. We had to walk up 3/4 steps from the hallway to get to our room. If you have issues with stairs you may want to request a room off the hallway. Only downside was that the elevator was small and very slow. We only used it for our luggage other than that we took the stairs. Beds are on the firm side also if you are short it can to difficult get in and out of bed.

This was a great stay in Traverse City. Our room was neat and clean. Check in was a breeze, staff was very helpful. Breakfast was very good and was constantly being stocked with fresh hot food. I would have given this hotel 5 stars if the parking situation was better. We would definitely stay again though.

This hotel is wonderful, will definitely stay there again. Rooms were spotless. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the front desk clerk even held my dog while I got breakfast. The free hot breakfast had everything you'd want, equal to any restaurant.

We looked into a few different options, but ended up choosing the Best Western due to its close location to the Old Mission Penninsula wineries. We honestly could not have been happier!!! Judy, from the BW, took care of our every need during breakfast. She was kind and sweet and really made our overall experience go from great to excellent! The rooms were clean and newly updated. The entire staff was very friendly and made our weekend stay very very enjoyable! We look forward to coming back this summer.

Over the past couple years I have found this gem in Traverse City. The staff at this facility goes out of their way just to help you find places to eat things to do. I feel like im with friends. The coffee is always fresh.

We stayed at the Best Western because of its reviews. This hotel is a home away from home. The morning breakfast had so much variety, housekeeping staff kept our room in tip top shape, but the service that we received and witnessed was beyond impressive. Angela at the front desk checked us in with such professionalism and warmth. Saw her again at 4am when I needed a BIG cup of coffee then she checked us out at 1 pm (after recommending the Best Western Rewards program). What dedication from an employee. It was obvious to us that not only were the reviews correct but once you visit, you will want to go back again and again. We found our go to hotel when in Traverse City. Room was clean and tidy, modern Bath. Hot Breakfast was great and varied. Good location and the room rate was very good. We had a queen size room and had no problems with room. Could use more towels in the room , but we asked and got them.

After having a garage fire take out the electricity in our house, we were thrust out of our home for FOUR MONTHS, right through ALL the winter holidays. The American Red Cross helped our family find the Best Western Plus in Traverse City, and we were incredibly fortunate for all our troubles. The BWP staff became like an extension of our family. Everyone was so kind and patient as we took over 2 rooms for a third of the year, moved furniture to make way for Christmas trees, brought in two cats to live with us, washed dishes and used the kitchen's freezer packs for our daughter's school lunches. All the staff learned our names and always had a kind word to share, and we learned all their names, too. Jian and Christy had so many encouraging words as the insurance debacles dragged on. Judy and Alan helped us get our five-year-old daughter to eat her breakfast before school every morning. Jessica and the entire housekeeping and maintenance staff tended to our needs every day, keeping our heavily-taxed lodgings clean and sparkling and humming like a home away from home. Everyone congratulated our daughter when she learned to swim over the winter in the hotel pool! We couldn't have asked for a nicer, totally unexpected, completely lovely family than the BWP staff of Traverse City.

We had a room with a loft which worked out great for the kids. They enjoyed having the upper level and another t.v. The pool area was clean and the temperature of the water was good, continental breakfast was decent, and someone even brushed the snow off of the truck early in the a.m.

Granted it is winter, but the hotel had a decent amount of people and it was very quite. Our 2nd day I wasn't feeling well and we got back to the hotel around 2:30pm and I slept through until 7pm with no disturbances. We enjoyed the morning breakfast offerings and the dining area was clean and well maintained. All the staff were very pleasant. We did not get a chance to use the gym or pool facilities or the laundry services - that's why I gave it a 4 otherwise I thought it was a 5.

We have stayed here twice when coming to Traverse City, and we will not stay anywhere else! Ths hotel is always clean, and the breakfast is WAY better then any other hotel we have ever stayed at! Just wish there was a hot tub with the pool, but not a huge deal for how great the stay is

This is always my go to hotel for TC. They are super nice! The pool is 24/7. They have indoor walkways when it's cold is a bonus! Staff are super nice and friendly. I have given feedback before that the breakfast is not shut down at 10:01 like other places that give you the stink eye for getting there at 950 when breakfast ends at 10am. This place gives some extra time so you dont feel rushed or that you are bothering them. This is so refreshing. After all we were on vacation! Thank you to all the friendly staff there! Management please reward them kindly and keep your awesome staff!

I was looking for a place that had Room for myself and my grandsons. The Room with the loft was a great option the boys could stay upstairs and I was downstairs. The pool was very nice we enjoyed that. The free breakfast has many options they have everything for everybody. We didn't have to drive just about any place the shuttle took us wherever we wanted to go.

Continental breakfast in the morning with many options to choose from. 6:00 PM fresh baked cookies in the Lobby. We will be back !!!

We stayed at this hotel last year while in town for a hockey tournament. We were so happy with our stay that we reserved it again while in town for hockey this year. This hotel staff is the most friendly and accommodating we have encountered. They go above and beyond to ensure that you are having an excellent stay. The hotel is very clean! The breakfast in the morning was very good. You cannot go wrong with this property!

Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The room was great as well. My flight kept getting delayed and the staff made the entire trip enjoyable and pleasant even with the blizzard hitting us hard!!!!

If time at this BW, It was very clean and the room have been updated, Staff was helpful and attentive. The general Manager was on the premise and very friendly. Went down for breakfast at 6:30 and the eggs were just luke warm, but everything else was ok. Will be staying with them again in the near future.

This hotel offered great service with a great breakfast and a wonderful location. We were there in the winter and the prices were terrific. Summer prices are quite different because this is a popular resort area. There is a pool, which we did not use, but looked at, an exercise room, again we did not use it, but looked. There is an excellent restaurant right next door. There is a shuttle to the airport if you need it. We were very happy with this hotel and will use it again.

My family stayed at the Best Western during the holidays. I have never stayed at a hotel where you received a handwritten card and goody bag on your door Christmas morning. This hotel is top-notch from Angela at the front desk to the 24 hour pool, to the complementary shuttle to Bianca who cleaned our room. It is very obvious the staff cares about their hotel and their guests. I would highly recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Hope to see you soon BW!

Staff was over the top friendly. Our room was spotless. The pool was a little chilly but we swam anyway! There was a nice selection of breakfast foods to choose from. We paid less than expected since it was the holiday season. Next time we need to stay in the TC area this will be our choice.

Our entire experience surrounding the Best Western Traverse City was great. The staff was very accommodating from our initial group booking through checkout. Rooms were great, beds were comfortable, and pool area was great as well. The staff was very friendly and allowed us to have a team pizza gathering in the lobby area. This is an amazing place to stay! We are a travel hockey family and have stayed many places throughout the years. This was by far the best experience we've had as a team in 4 years! Very professional and courteous staff starting with Angela at our check in. She was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, had plenty of towels and pillows and the beds were super comfortable. The staff was very accommodating for our pizza dinner in the lobby. They provided extra bags for our garbage and even helped us clean up. The kids enjoyed the large pool that wasn't over chlorinated like most. To top it off, our breakfast was perfect! They provided food for people who even came right at 10AM, including fresh cooked bacon. Judy was so helpful with her service with a smile. This Hotel is great. Caring and friendly staff. Trustworthy, don't have to worry about things in the room. Very clean and comfortable room. They went out of their way to make us feel at home and welcome. I have stayed at more expensive hotels (like HIlton Garden and Marriot Coutryard) and not been treated as well as this hotel staff treated me.

My husband and I stayed three nights at this hotel while touring around Michigan. It was a great base to start from for more reasons than one. Easy access to highways and restaurants along with any shopping needed. The people were friendly, helpful and just plain special. We loved Michigan! There was always plenty for breakfast and the cleaning staff was friendly and efficient. Angela at the front dest, Heather who cleaned our room, and the wonderful food service manager served everyone with smiles and expertise!l The Fitness Center and Pool area was accessible and clean. Very Clean, Breakfast is the Best, No problem with internet, Close by to things to do in Traverse City, Staff is Very Helpful, Quick check in and check out, Have Traverse City paper and USA Today, Nice size rooms. This Best Western has recently been remodeled. Has a swimming pool and exercise equipment. Can't go wrong staying here.

The last time we stayed at this Best Western was over 10 years ago with our dog. It has been completely remodeled since then and found it wonderful. In addition they now have a breakfast bar each morning and warm cookies in the afternoon. It's central location makes it nice and it is right on the main road closer to highway 37 if you are headed to Traverse City off from 115. The staff were professional, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make sure our stay met our expectations. The only reason I give this place a 4 star is that it does not have a restaurant/bar but otherwise it was well worth the stay. We did use the restaurant/bar in the hotel right next to Best Western Plus which was well within walking distance.

My family and I went to Traverse City over Labor Day weekend for a little get-away. We originally booked a different hotel online and were beyond disappointed upon arrival. I called and was able to get a room at the Best Western Plus. When we arrived there, we were instantly happy. The hotel is beautiful! We were immediately greeted when we walked in and loved how clean and neat the lobby was. Each time we would leave the hotel we were asked if we needed assistance finding anything and when we return, we were asked how our day was. The staff is incredible! Christy, Judy and Kayla get a HUGE shout out from me and my family. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful and memorable! Can't wait to visit again soon!

Overall very happy nice, clean, friendly, good breakfast, fresh cookies, great service. Location was great next to a cool museum and not far from downtown. Also got a great 5.00 off at the bistro next door.

We needed a hotel that had a handicap room and also accepted pets and the Best Western Plus Traverse City met our needs and had availability. The employees were very friendly and rooms and facilities were well kept. Definitely would recommend this hotel!

Staff was wonderful and so very helpful and friendly. Shuttle was so convenient, this was an unexpected perk. We will be back next year :) there were 11 of us girls and NO complaints. That is impressive. But I was disappointed there wasn't a hot tub but oh well.

We had a pleasant 2 night stay. It had been several years since we had stayed at this hotel. It was nice to see that some money has been put back into the property. It had gotten a bit run down and was no longer our first choice, but this was a last minute trip and it was available. The rooms, common areas and even halls have been remodeled. Everything was clean and comfortable. We will definitely put put this back on the list!

You can't go wrong staying at this hotel. The room, hallways and lobby were neat and smelled good. Pool was warm and clean.Breakfast was good but would've prefered less chit chat by breakfast lady while we were trying to eat. Staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Most of all, we appreciated Angela at the Fron Desk for her patience with all of our questions, her understanding of our situation(funeral) and her recommendations for our short notice stay in Traverse City. We would stay again and would encourage others to as well.

Stayed here for a little getaway weekend with the family and we loved it! We had an awful experience at a different “pet friendly” hotel in TC in July and I was not going to let that happen again! Ladies at front desk were so friendly, rooms were nice, pool was clean, free breakfast was served and the atmosphere was pet friendly! We will be coming back!

The Traverse City Best Western Plus was a great place to stay. The services and staff are exceptional , My only complaint is that the beds were right next to the air conditioner and the fan would turn on and blow ice cold air off and on, waking us up. If it weren't for that, our stay would have been perfect.

Stay here, you will not regret it! We came from a dumpy hotel down the street and Megan at the front desk saved our vacation. She made us feel right at home, showed us the room before purchasing, and gave us just-baked cookies and a bag of snacks! The room was spotless and very comfortable. A wonderful stay, for sure, and we will definitely be back!!

We went to traverse city for our 21 wedding anniversary. We had one day booked in hotel and planned to stay at family cabin but there was no power due to recent storms. Carrie greeted me and my husband kindly, offered to get a room and was so kind and compassionate about our situation. On arrival Megan and Carrie wished us happy anniversary and had wine and candy in our room!! The hotel was very clean, all encounters with staff was priceless I will never stay anywhere else in TC as they were the kindest people and made our stay amazing!!!!

This was our first stay at the BW and we are so glad we stayed. A mini getaway for a few days brought us UpNorth. Upon arrival the Front Desk lady named Angela was helping another guest, the phone was ringing (which she answered) AND she acknowledged us. Most people can't multi task and still be smiling and professional. She recommended things to do and restaurants to check out. The room was renovated a few years ago but was very nice. Breakfast was ok, but meat and potatoes were not real warm. Chocolate/Caramel coffee creamer?? I was surprised not to see just Caramel since it's such a popular flavor. Overall we would like to return again and if you are in TC you need to stay at the Best Western Plus..

We stayed at this Best Western for 3 nights on our trip to Traverse City. The hotel was clean and quiet. The room was updated and spacious. It is on a busy street and not super close to the beach but still within walking distance. They had a great breakfast and everyone of the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful! Christy checked us in and was so helpful! She gave us great referrals for things to do along with directions. The hotel also offered a great shuttle service to most anywhere in town. Then you just call the driver when you are ready to be picked up, very convenient and you don't have to fight traffic and parking .If we make it back to Traverse city, we will definitely stay there again!

We recently stayed at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City. This was a last minute trip, and they were able to accommodate us. The hotel was in great shape! Clean, very friendly service, no issues at all. We were given a welcome bag at arrive with a couple snacks and bottles of water. We were celebrating our 5 year anniversary, which came up in conversation when we booked over the phone. We were greeted by a bottle of local wine, chocolates, flowers, and a card from the staff of the hotel! This was beyond the call and our expectations. It was a great surprise. We will stay here again.

The check in staff was great. They made sure our rooms were clean, gave us maps,told us where to be sure and go. We were given shuttles to the mall and back, airport shuttles, anything we asked for. They were really wonderful. Can't thank them enough.

Traverse city area has become way to precious, (expensive). It's a beautiful place but way over populated. I'd likely not come back during summer ever again. Infrastructure can't handle volume of people who live here let alone all the visitors. Your facility is well cared for and clean. Just find accomadations, in general to be overpriced. The market may bear it. But I won't.

Very nice hotel -The staff was very helpful - friendly, professional. The breakfast was excellent - nicely prepared, tasty. Our room was beautiful - the new remodeled- very nice step in shower. Looking forward to staying thee again.

This was one of the best hotels in Traverse city. Very clean. Friendly staff. Shout out to Judy working the breakfast area on 08/15/18! She was fast and efficient. Loved everything about breakfast! The waffles were great. We stayed in a room with 2 levels connected by a spiral staircase. TV in each level. Very good use of space! Hotel offered us a shuttle ride to town or bay area if needed.

This hotel has a good breakfast, nice pool, but most of all great staff. From reservation to check in to check out, Angela was attentive, helpful and treated us like we were family. You don't find the kind of customer service she provided at most hotels. I highly recommend the Best Western Plus and I hope to visit again soon.

We had 12 rooms for our group and we had the best time at this hotel. All the employees were great on taking care of us and our needs. We were on bikes and they were very accommodating. Bike friendly with wash station and supplied the buckets and old towels. That was an extra plus!~

Picking a hotel to stay at was a bit daunting because there are so many to pick from. Choosing the Best Western was by far the right choice. I want to thank the gal at the front desk Angela for her great service she was able to direct us to the right restaurant to go eat at before leaving town. She seemed to really love what she does. The young lady Bianca that tended to our room was pretty awesome as well making sure we had plenty of extra towels. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was was second to none. Thank you Best Western We will be returning in the fall for my wife's surgery and wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. See you soon. Ron

A group of 23 of us were traveling through Wisconsin and Michigan on motorcycles and stayed at the Best Western Plus. Everybody in our group had nothing but good things to say about the stay here in Traverse City Best Western. The rooms were very clean and nicely appointed. I used the pool, they had plenty of fresh clean pool towels. The pool area had plenty of seating and very clean. The grounds were well taken care of. The hotel supplied us with a shuttle to near by shopping. Since we were on nmotorcycles, Christy made sure we had a supply of drying towels for our motorcycles. The staff from general manager Jian, and Christy on days, Kerry and Meagan on afternoons and Alan and Judy on breakfast were just top notch. All the staff were outstanding. We would definitely stay here again.

My friend and I stayed at this hotel while visiting Traverse City for three days. We absolutely adored the staff at this hotel. Everyone was so kind, helpful and cheerful. Especially Megan, who was working the front desk. She helped us with all kinds of information to make our visit with a pet a wonderful experience. My daughter and I stay here when we are in Traverse City for a wine tour. Once again they did not disappoint. The rooms are clean and the staff is over the top friendly. They do have a shuttle that will take you downtown and some restaurants within walking distance. We will be back again next year

The rooms and lobby are fine. The best part about this hotel is the the staff. Front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful when we weren't happy with the location of our room. The breakfast staff (Alan and Judy) were very efficient, friendly and helpful so our day started on a very pleasant note.

We stayed 3 nights. Top floor (only 2). Requested this in case there would be noise from above floor.You could hear noise from hallway and outside if people were talking but that was not very often and did not last long. Woke up twice during the night because of it. Our room was very clean and updated. Could of had more lighting. Our room with a King bed was small but adequate.Good shower and bath products. Bath small. Bed pretty comfortable. Sheets ok. Towels very thin, could use improvement there. I also requested a pet free room but when we checked in found out there are no pet free rooms at this hotel, but we could not tell any pets had been in our room. The attendent said they clean the rooms differently after a pet stayed. The breakfast was ok. The staff were very nice and helpful. A gal working the breakfast hours could answer any questions about the area. We did have trouble with wii fii . Nice TV. Cookies good in the evening.

We enjoyed staying at the BW even though it was not in downtown area proper. They have a shuttle if needed, but we just rode our bikes everywhere. I believe they are only about a mile from center. Clean rooms and the breakfast is one of the best offered. We would stay here again when traveling to Traverse City.

Beautiful hotel. Everything was fresh and new. Loved the outdoor patio areas. Plumbing in room was updated and modern with beautiful granite counter tops. Shower worked well and drained well. Air conditioner performed as we wanted. Comfortable beds. The kids loved the hot cookies in the evening. And breakfast was a treat. Judy, the breakfast attendant, smiled, was friendly, and took good care of us at breakfast. She told us,”the staff here are treated well by management and when staff are treated well, they do a good job and are happy”. Says so much about this hotel. I appreciated the hard boiled eggs and real bacon at breakfast. This stay was a treat.

Had a hard time getting someone to check us in right away. One employee on phone and other one wasn't responding to come help. Once she did come help she was CLUELESS and never smiled once, she looked like she just crawled out of bed. Once our luggage was loaded onto cart we could hardly get it around tight corner and barely fit into elevator. We traveled with 3 people, once in room there was no where to put 3 suitcases...no where, just barely 2. Then one side of 2queen bedroom was impossible to use, it was literally 4

This was our 2nd visit to TC and we stayed for 4 nights. The employees were helpful and friendly, location is on a busy street but room is quiet. Room was clean and updated and we were pleased with the quality of breakfast. Close to attractions. If we return I would consider staying here again.

Stayed three nights with my spouse and two young sons on our vacation. Hotel is really friendly and clean. Staff, Alan in particular, helped us pick local attractions to make our stay memorable. Breakfast was really good, one of the better included meals I have had. Pool and other amenities clean and in good working order. Excellent place to stay.

Hotel staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and the hotel offers a free shuttle service to downtown. Scott the shuttle driver was a super nice guy and full of tons of information about the city. Hotel staff even helped us book our next room at our next location. I recommend this hotel to everyone

Great two story room! Clean and comfortable beds! You will absolutely love the attention and service you are given by Alan each morning in the breakfast area! We stayed for four nights over the 4th of July weekend at this location. We also brought our dog Saul with us and the staff were most friendly and accomodating of pets. They made us feel very welcome. Alan and Judy at the cafetaria are just wonderful people and work hard to provide a very good complimentary hot breakfast. Also, Christy at the reception was very friendly and helpful and gave us the right recomendations based on our needs. Would definitely consider staying at this location again!

Their corporate office should be proud! This hotel is really clean, with comfortable beds, and a super helpful and friendly staff. Morning breakfast isn't a standard "continental", but offered scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, waffles, and more. Alan from the kitchen staff is attentive, and informed me one morning that he made extra eggs for me, since I showed up just before breakfast ended on morning, and he knew I would be there the next day. I can't say enough, we will definitely stay again. THANK YOU!

The staff was professional, efficient and friendly when we checked in. The Assistant Manager, Carrie made us feel like family and reminded us that they would have fresh cookies from 6 pm until they ran out. The room was clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast was good and they gave us a few pieces of taffy when we checked out. What more could a couple of foodies ask for? Traverse City has a special vibe to it and we will be back to check it out in the future and we will definitely stay at this Best Western!

Breakfast every morning was a fantastic experience! Food was great, lots to select from. Everyone in the family was happy. Alan was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed! Alan's hospitality started each of our days with a ray of sunshine!

I stayed in a double queen loft suite for 3 nights on a wine and beer trip to TC. The hotel was exceptionally clean and the staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. The spiral staircase to the upper bed is smaller than it looks and the bathroom, while new and spotless, is tiny, and it took a little longer than we wanted for four people to get ready in the morning. We enjoyed the heated pool, the continental breakfast, and the complimentary hot cookies every evening. Despite some size issues, this hotel gets a high recommendation from me and my group!

Bianka kept are Loft room very clean. Bianka was friendly and very helpful also. Room also had microwave and fridge in room. Also had bed on each floor with tv on each level as well as a sky light and ceiling fan. Angela at front desk was a pleasure to talk with and was very helpful with ideas and things to do in the area. Angela also was kind enough to make us some cookies,since we didnt make it in time for cookies in the evening. Young man doing breakfast also was very pleasant and friendly and always asked how we were and if there was anything we needed. Didnt get his name thou. Angela,Bianka,and the young man doing breakfast were awesome. Great place to stay with a nice pool also 11 feet deep on one end. I highly recommend staying here,if you have any questions,just ask all staff very friendly and helpful,especially Angela & Bianka they are truely an asset to the Best Western Hotel establishment. We originally planned a 3 night stay here with our dog. The hotel was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and our room was above expectations. When one of us had a medical emergency we had to stay an additional few nights. The staff could not have been more accommodating and concerned about helping us. I thank them all for making it a comfortable stay.

HAD THE BEST 3 DAY STAY HERE! The Loft Suite was super unique with its winding staircase. The room was well appointed and BIANCA was an excellent housekeeper...it was kept super clean! There were nice touches from the minute you enter the lobby. Fresh flowers greet you as well as a complimentary goodie bag on check in/. AAA members special treats are a great touch! Excellent idea! Later in the evening you are treated to a fresh,gooey,warm cookie snack that just hits the spot! (Nice touches Best Western!) The complimentary breakfast is an easy way to save some dough $$ while visiting this city...BE PREPARED:food in TC can be rediculous$$$!!! We will share this tip though: We discovered a little food gem here... COTTAGE RESTRAUNT. (you can read my review on cottage restraunt in traverse city, by Mrs B, frankenmuth on trip advisor or go to the Best Western front counter and Ask for ANGELA/(ANGIE). Ask her about informatiin on Cottage restraunt ((within walking distance)) This place to eat is awesome! Great value, huge portions,good prices and soooo darn tasty! She can even help you save some $$$ if you eat there! Ask her how! Angie will help you in any way imaginable while you stay at Best Western. She was an excellent source of information for us while visiting TC. She made our stay so enjoyable with her "down to earth" nature and she went out of her way to help us on several occasions. Dont get me wrong, ALL the employees at this establishment were excellent! Counter employees are great,the breakfast bar workers were excellent at keeping everything refreshed up to the very last minute with hot, fresh food. The pool hours are excellent. Rooms/ suites are spiffy. The workout room is kept up too. This is a clean and cozy place to stay and with only around 50 rooms, you will feel like family, not a number. We were very happy we chose this motel. It's brand spankin' new. The staff is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The room was lovely (we had a two story loft room), there was plenty of parking, lovely grounds. The breakfast had lots of choices, the folks working the morning fare were helpful, friendly and available. The free shuttle service into town (and pick up when you are ready), was most appreciated. Saved us a bunch of money in parking fees and the drivers were most helpful with places to see and eat. Highly recommend this place.

My partner and I couldn't have been happier with our stay! The breakfast was good, the hotel and room was clean, and every staff member we met was appoarchable, helpful, and kind! Great place for a getaway right in the center of Traverse City! Would recommend this place to anyone!

We stayed at Best Western Plus Traverse City this past week. We were please with the room, staff, and location. The breakfast is a plus, and was a typical Best Western Breakfast. We would stay here again!

Employees very helpful, friendly, and efficient. We even had a room that was near a rear entrance so we didn't have to take our dog through the hotel.( We think the front desk employees helped with that.) Room was clean and well equipped.Love the fact that our dog was welcomed at this hotel.

I was very impressed with my stay. We were traveling with a pet, and were given probably the best room in the place, with a separate door outside so it was super easy to take our pet out. Our room was very clean, and the staff was super nice. We received a call from the front desk within 30 minutes of checking in to make sure everything was as expected. We stopped by the cookie "happy hour" and the front desk was so nice and gave a cookie to our dog too. It was very quiet, and the free breakfast is another great plus. I would definitely stay here again.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. At check in they gave us suggestions for dinner and at breakfast (Breakfast was really good) the staff was very helpful with the kids making waffles and also made a great suggestion for a scenic drive back home though Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park, well worth the drive. Not our first choice, but we have a dog traveling with us, and we were referred to BW Plus by Comfort Inn who's owners/operators also operate the BW Plus. Average hotel, but met our needs and was clean.

While our family was in town for a wedding, our granddaughter decided to arrive prematurely. We stayed at the Best Western Plus so we could be close to Munson Hospital. The staff was excellent, offering any help we might need. Our housekeeper, Kayla, folded our bath towels into little animals to bring a smile to our faces after days spent in the NICU. There was even a shuttle to the hospital, if we needed. Friendly smiles and a hot breakfast made a great start to the day. Baby is home and doing well. Thank you to Angela and Christie and everyone at the Best Western PlusI feel like we're all friends now. Happy Gramma Patty

This is a great Hotel to stay with your pet-not many around! Do not want to kennel our fur baby and thankful you supplied our needs! Your staff, the friendliest, I have ever encountered in my life and I am in my 50's! Also nice to start the day with a delicious hot meal included in the price! 24/7 hot coffee and cookies in the evening and a safe place to stay! Love you all!

The hotel was nice. The staff was excellent. Angela and Christy were an amazing help to me on my stay. When traveling to Traverse City, I was delayed in Chicago (2nd time this has happened) and they helped me cancel my previous nights stay, and re-book for the next two nights, even though I hadn't called them before hand. I really appreciate everything you all did for me. I will be back!!!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and they were so good to us. Breakfast, pool, and laundry facilities were all great, and our room was beautiful. They even gave us a surprise newlywed gift package. Plus, they had free cookies available in the evening. Customer service was fantastic. If you're in Traverse City, this is a great place to stay!

What a wonderful group of people! My husband and I ended up at the BW+ after giving birth to our baby girl 5 weeks early. We live downstate 4 hours away and I was discharged from the hospital. Our daughter was in the NICU at Munson and everyday the staff would ask how she was doing. They left our reservation open ended because we we unsure of what day our daughter would be discharged. Christy at the front desk was so kind and helped us fax out important paperwork. This was more than just a hotel for us. We will hopefully be back... but maybe just for a vacation next time.

From the minute we arrived the front desk girl Angie was very friendly and very helpful. She recommended places to eat and things to do. We hadn't been there in 18 years and they had a soccer tournament going on. They were very concerned about us not being bothered. The room was very comfortable and very clean for the four days we were there. The breakfast bar was very good and the choices were plenty. The girl Judy was very nice and friendly and kept every thing filled. You could get coffee and hot chocolate all day. Which was nice because my wife likes hot chocolate and not coffee and they had cookies at night.

One of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever seen. The buildings are kept up nicely and the grounds were immaculate. Super great crew! So accommodating, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The house keeping folks are amazing! Very nice hotel. Lovely stay... :0)

If I had to describe this hotel in one word: Spectacular! It's hard to figure out where to begin when sharing my experience with Best Western. This is our second year that we've stayed at this location and it will not be our last! From making reservations, calling to make adjustments, walking through the door and during our stay we received outstanding, over the top and genuine customer service. ALL of the staff is courteous, helpful, accommodating and kind-hearted! Just to name a few, Angela, Christy and the General Manager left a lasting impression. This year we got married and needed several rooms for guests and all of our guests were blown away by the cleanliness of the hotel, accommodations (the breakfast and shuttle) and the flexibility of the staff to be there when we needed them.  They made all of us feel at home, offered suggestions and directions to local shops/restaurants and even welcomed our pups with open arms! I just want to say thank you for making our stay fun and amazing. We can't wait to come back. Our friends/family are still raving about the service they received. Thanks so much everyone, see you again next May!

They really make you feel comfortable- at check in, whenever you pass by, and check out. They asked me how my weekend was during my stay there, and how the wedding went that I attended. The dining area for breakfast was cozy- it didn't have that cafeteria feel to it, the awkward feeling of finding a place to sit. I didn't have to wait to get in line for breakfast or feel concerned about breakfast items running out. You didn't have to take care of your plate because a kind woman would come by every so often and politely ask if you were done eating and proceed to take your plate if so with a warm smile. Also, for a place that's pet friendly, they keep it very clean there. The room I stayed in had a beautiful skylight and loft. The room had the same color scheme as the lobby that had my favorite colors. They are very accommodating- to the point of offering to setup a shuttle service for me to the wedding and reception.

Had the opportunity to spend a few days at this hotel last week as we celebrated Mother's Day and a birthday with our family. We stayed here because the hotel is pet friendly and when I say pet friendly, I mean VERY pet friendly. They have a special outdoor location set aside for exercising your pet and it's stocked with a trash receptacle and waste bag dispenser. Christy at the front desk was so in love with our little dog, Pippa, that she took her picture and posted it on the hotel's Facebook page, making her the celebrity guest for the day! Everyone there was so friendly, helpful and professional. I watched the lady in charge of the breakfast area quickly moving back and forth to ensure everything was well stocked. When asked a question by one of the guests having breakfast, she went over to the lobby a got one of the travel brochures from the rack and brought it back to show them exactly where a site was located that they wanted to visit. Again, just can't say enough about the folks that work here. They always go above and beyond your expectations! Be sure to stay here next time you're in the Traverse City area and you'll have a new home away from home like we do!

We stayed here in early May with our dog. Room was exceptionally clean and quite comfortable. Room is a bit smaller than we would have liked and there could be better light, but we were very comfortable. Staff is excellent - very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was quite substantial - eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, biscuits and sausage gravy plus all the standard breakfast items. We especially liked the mini waffle maker that gives you 4 small round waffles instead of one big Belgian waffle (that machine was available too). Great way to start each day.

We enjoyed everything about this hotel. The staff are wonderful. Very clean property, very good breakfast, wonderful pool. Close to everything. The manager was so friendly and helpful and wanted our stay to be perfect and it certainly was.

Angela and the rest of the staff made sure our rooms were ready early, so we could make our wine shuttle on time. I had also casually mentioned it being my husband's birthday weekend, so when we checked in, they surprised us with wine, birthday card, and chocolates. We would definitely stay again and recommend it to others. The hotel is in a quiet location, is clean, and the staff is the best.

The Best Western Plus Traverse City was a nice location for our weekend stay. Angela, the desk staff, was so helpful and friendly. The breakfast included hot items (eggs, sausage, bacon, waffles ) as well as standard items. The hotel provides a shuttle to the downtown area which was really helpful and the Happy Hour next door at Cambria Suites is must!

A group of us went for a birthday celebration! Angela was great and helped us get into the room early so we could enjoy a day of wine tasting! The hotel also sent a bottle of wine, cake and flowers to the room! Great stay and I would recommend this property! Exceeded my expectations, thank you!

Going to northern Michigan...consider the Western Plus in Traverse City. This hotel is a gem! Every time we stay here our expectations are met with flying colors. From the Front Desk staff and their congeniality and attention to details it is so easy to feel you'll feel like you're at home. As mom always says,

I chose this hotel based on other TA reviews, along with the good location close to downtown TC and reasonable price. My stay lived up to expectations, but it was Jian's fantastic & informative customer service and attention to detail that really made my stay exceptional. My room was clean and well-appointed, with a comfortable bed and good-sized bathroom for my needs, and having a complimentary parking space within 50ft was a nice amenity as well. I'm keeping this hotel on my favorites list whenever I return to TC for work again.

The thing that makes this hotel great is the staff. They are all so friendly and helpful. They provided us with great suggestions from where to eat to which vineyards are their favorites. They even provided us with coupons for several of our activities. The free breakfast that was provided was fantastic. You can tell that the lady that is in charge of that area takes pride in her job. Because we mentioned it was our anniversary they left a very thoughtful gift at our door for us. Made it easier to be away from our babies. We will DEFINITELY be back.

The hotel is a little dark and could use some updating, especially in the hallways and pool area. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. What made this stay was the incredible staff. We encountered severe weather with a major spring snow storm and they were so kind and did everything they could to ensure our safety and comfort. Christy at the front desk went above and beyond to help us make decisions and take care of our needs, we are so appreciative of her (her husband even cleaned the snow from our car because he was concerned about our safety!!). That kind of commitment to the customers is what will keep people coming back to the hotel, even when there are many other options available. I do wish they had a hot tub and as mentioned a little updating or brightening the halls would be wonderful. But A+ for the staff.

I called the hotel directly, from across the street. The person on the phone was very helpful and took a long time to explain my options. He helped me get to a fair rate. The hotel is located right on the main drag through Traverse City, which makes it close to everything, yet not in the priciest locations. My room was in the back, with made it very quiet. Check-in was quick - AND, they found my Best Western rewards membership, which I didn't even know I had, and saved me an extra $10. The room wasn't huge, but it was set up well and didn't seem too small for anything I needed. The internet, cable, etc. all worked great! It was the rare hotel TV that had the channel guide work on the screen (when will hotels get DVR so I can pause my shows like at home?!) Angela helped me check-out and and a provided a lot of other info. She and the rest of the staff were awesome throughout. If you're reading this, you probably know all TC has to offer. The Best Western is a good option that doesn't have quite the price tag of some other others in the area. It's not on the beach, but it's close enough.

The staff was extremely friendly and outgoing. The room was spotless! The mattress was wonderful. The winter room rate was very reasonable. Pet fee was only $15. We were very happy with our stay. This hotel does not have a view of the water, but if you just need a good place to stay this is it. This hotel also offers free shuttles to downtown which is a great perk.

Great room. My girls loved having their own space with the loft style room. Everyone was so friendly and the breakfast was awesome. Pool and exercise room is open 24 hours. Definitely will be staying again.

We travel extensively and are always in the company of our English Bulldog Lucy. Many places claiming pet friendly end up being rooms I wouldn't even let my dog stay in. Not here at Best Western. The room was clean and warm. The staff friendly, and the stay perfect. This is not only a people approved stay, but Lucy approved. When we arrived she was ready for a nap, as were we. Thank you Best Western TC for a great stay!

Just wanted to drop a note and describe what I saw and experienced the night of check in. Walked into a clean and bright office check in area, Jian was right behind me. As we walked up to the desk, a young lady walked up and her key quit working, another couple had questions, phone was ringing and I was waiting to check in. Tough situation right? well Jian was able to quickly get the young lady a working key, answered the phone, and put the person on hold, and immediately answered the couples questions and had me checked in in minutes, and then answered the phone. ALL while making each and every one of his customers feel like they were the most important person in the room. Every one walked away with a smile. After the storm had subsided Jian had even noticed my company logo, which he was familiar with and we had a nice short conversation. Jian in my mind had his customers interest at the top of his list. Nice Job Jian! Wife and I and my four legged friend are planning another visit already.

Everything about our stay was top notch. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, made us feel right at home. Pet friendly, which is a huge plus for us. The hotel was well maintained and very clean! We checked out on Easter morning and to our surprise there was a little Easter treat bad hanging from the door which again made us feel right at home over the holiday. When we come back to town we will definitely be staying here again and will recommend to our friends and family!

Did a ton of research to find this hotel and had points so ended up booking. Pulling up to the hotel, it looks a bit unusual from a standard hotel. Don't be fooled by that, the hotel is definitely worth the stay. Had a queen suite with a lofted bed (the one with the spiral staircase). It was very nice, clean, comfortable and worked well for 3 of us. The climate control is a wall unit and it worked great, plus the fan can be run on continuous mode for those needing extra white noise. Carrie at the front desk was awesome when we arrived. She was super friendly and helpful and gave us a warm welcome.

I did a ton of research to try to find the best pet friendly hotel in Traverse City that was reasonably priced. Unlike some of the other so-called “pet friendly” hotels that I found, the Best Western truly is pet friendly. They allow you to leave your dog in the hotel room when you leave, which was helpful for us when we wanted to go out to dinner or do some quick shopping! The hotel was nicely updated inside!! Continental breakfast was great - waffles, biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausage, muffins, bagels and cream cheese, etc. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming of us and our puppy. We will definitely be back!! Thank you Best Western for a great trip up north :)

We ordered a queen sized bed because they didn't have any King room available. We ended up sleeping in a Full sized bed that was incredibly uncomfortable. I won't stay in a Best Western Plus again. Holiday Inn is the same price and way nicer.

We found this hotel by accident on the web, sure glad we did. The rooms are newly renovated, 24 hour pool, and the customer service makes you feel like you are part of the hotel family. Enjoyed our stay and plan on staying again. Front desk agent Angela and breakfast lady Penny were most friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel when in Traverse City.

Amenities are a plus here with a free shuttle to downtown and a free breakfast. Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful with anything needed. We've stayed several times now and have no reason not to come back again.

Four parents + 2 young adults + 2 teenagers + 2 dogs multiplied by a hotel full of the friendliest staff ever = Great Winterbreak vacation. Haven't experienced a hotel as warm and friendly as our experience at this Best Western beginning with the desk clerk, to the housekeeping, and the breakfast hostess. Greeted with a good morning or is there anything we needed to a genuine interest in making our stay pleasant. Only thing missing was a bar for a night cap. Thank you for a well run establishment and great launch pad for making some family memories.

I love a fancy hotel room (who wouldn't), but most of all I want a CLEAN room! The Best Western in TC was very nice and very clean. Would definitely stay again. I'm not sure it is within walking distance to many attractions (we stayed in the winter), but it is centrally located and very convenient for driving. We drove to downtown in a few minutes and passed the beach on the way.

Had a wonderful room, in fact, we've requested it for our next time in TC already. The staff at this hotel is most accommodating, friendly and professional. Breakfast was more than just the normal continental breakfast most places have, had many choices!

I had to alter my reservations a few times and all the staff was helpful and extremely friendly. Staff has great area recommendations. When making our reservation over the phone John was very helpful,he told me about Best Western rewards program and he signed me up. From the moment we arrived front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us a free upgrade to a suite and a bag of goodies. Our room was modern and clean.

Even though this Best Western is located along a busy four lane street the rooms were very quiet, I could not hear a sound from the traffic driving near by. I feel the windows and walls are well insulated.

Judy in the continental breakfast area treats you like a customer in a fancy restaurant... she goes above her call of duty to make you feel at home and your breakfast meal perfect... I observed her helping a customer make a waffle...she even picked up our dirty dishes for us. Superb we visit again.

Nothing super fancy but not a crappy hotel. Very clean. Mostly updated. Good warm breakfast. Friendly staff. In the heart of traverse city. Had a decent sleep. Free WiFi. Pet friendly. Very easy to find off the Main Street.

Stopped here on my way home to hit a few wineries. Everything was great from the front desk to the breakfast. It is very close to the Mission Point arm of the Bay which is where I wanted to go. Will return.

We stayed at BW for the holidays. When we woke up Christmas morning there was a beautiful card and handmade goodie bag. We were greeted by Angela at the Front Desk with, "Good Morning and Merry Christmas. I hope you slept well." We got coffee went back to our room and were greeted by Heather and Bianca, wishing us a very Merry Christmas. Later in the afternoon we walked by the front desk and Jon was very nice and making sure we had everything we needed on Christmas day. I can not say enough about the amazing and caring staff at the Best Western Plus in TC. We felt that we were at home. For the staff to spend their holiday with smiles on their faces and away from their families says so much about these special employees. I would highly recommend this hotel. We picked the Best Western in Traverse City, Michigan.We were impressed. The room and bathroom were very spacious and all amenities covered everything we needed.This isn't your grandfather's Best Western.

Clean place to stay. Everyone there were helpful and friendly, very accommodating and pet friendly. Good location, breakfast has a good selection and fresh baked cookies at night, good food at the restaurant next door, will stay there anytime we go back to Traverse City.

Our eatly morning flight was spent relaxing at the Best Western Plus in Traverse City, MI. My husband enyoyedthe size, depth and hours of the pool. We had a wake-up call and shuttle service to the airport. Wonderful place yo relax.

We spent 4 days in Traverse City, celebrating the new year. We had a very good time at the hotel (including our small dog). Room was very comfortable and on two stories. Customer service was excellent. Angela was great in satisfying all our requests !!! Thank you !!!

It's a good place to stay if you have a pet or a family of 2-4. But if traveling with friends or extended family you have to get more than one room. We were surprised to find out that they had no rollaway beds and the only room with a sofabed was the king bed room. We needed 2 queen beds and either a rollaway bed or sofabed. The rooms are small and dated. But the staff is fantastic, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was like most hotels.

We stayed again between Christmas and New Years Dec 27 to Dec 30 at the Best Western. We chose this hotel as it allows dogs to stay with you. Again we had a great stay. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Rooms are great, clean and nicely decorated. Great continental breakfast. Lady looking after the breakfast area was very friendly and did a great job.

Severe snow storm had us stop in Traverse City unexpectedly. We called late at night to see if there were rooms. I knew as soon as I spoke to the delightful person on the phone this was going to be a special place. We ended up staying an extra day, and the staff was fantastic. They treated us like part of their family to take care of inclement weather. I travel all the time, and there was something special about the hospitality and the service of this team. We will for sure come back.

We stayed two nights there and we are very satisfied. The rooms are nice and clean, the staff is very friendly and professional and we had a very relaxing weekend for New Year. Sincerely recommend this hotel.

Very good expierce. Room was nice and clean. Loft was excellent. There was even a Christmas present hanging on the door in the morning. Pet friendly and very clean. Will be back for sure!!! The bed is a little hard for my taste but to each their own.

We booked the suite. I stayed here with 2 teenage boys. Luckily I read the reviews beforehand and knew it was noisy and the fridge made a terrible noise. Apparently the room key cannot touch a cell phone because that will deactivate it. It's nice to have a separate space for the kids but the rooms are small. Pool was warm. Work out room was okay. Breakfast was okay. The property is dated. Check in was a pain. The parking lot was icy getting in and out of the vehicle. The room was clean and the sheets were soft.

We cannot say enough good things about the Best Western Traverse City. Everything from check -in to check-out was perfect. The staff is friendly, helpful, caring, and professional. The full breakfast every morning was delicious. Coffee was always available. Cookies were served in the evening. Our room, as the rest of the hotel was VERY clean. We loved, and took advantage of the free shuttle service to the downtown area. We especially like the fact that they are a "pet friendly" hotel. We brought our dog, and the staff adored him. We have stayed here twice within the last six months, and plan on staying at the Best Western every time we're in town.

This property is perfect especially if you need to bring a pet. Very clean with a friendly staff. Anything we asked for was at our disposal. We will definitely stay here again. The breakfast was really good and the staff very helpful. Location was good for our needs and the price was good also.

We had a wonderful stay in Traverse City. Friendly, thoughtful staff, very clean room.. Every staff member we encountered said hello, asked us if we needed anything and were around if we did! They learned it was our anniversary and had left us an anniversary card and a bottle of wine in our room!

We spent the night in Traverse so we could transport my sister home after surgery. This was the best hotel experience we have ever had. The room was arranged very conveniently, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful!

The staff here is very friendly and will do everything in their power to make your stay as pleasant as possible. A great breakfast included. Many other restaurants near by. Only a few miles from two casino's as well.

We so appreciated the incredible staff and the clean hotel at this great location. Everyone worked great together and was very helpful and kind. Rooms are nice though the bathrooms needs counter space and the beds and towels could be upgraded a bit. GREAT coffee at the breakfast bar!

Great place. Excellent service by the staff. They were friendly and worked hard to make sure we enjoyed our time in Traverse City. The included breakfast was excellent. The facilities were clean and the room was great. Dog friendly.

The last time I was at this particular property was 6 or more years ago - and boy have they improved! The lobby was more spacious and felt more welcoming. The breakfast area was just off of the lobby which is a huge improvement from the maze one used to have to follow to get to it. The halls used to be painted with a tree type of motif and they are now a nice creamy white color - I feel like it gives it a modern upgrade instead of the tacky trees. Though I didn't use them, the 24 hour pool, exercise and laundry is a huge bonus. Internet worked great. Only downside was my bed was a bit on the firm side - but any bed different than my own is expected to not be the most comfortable.

We booked a suite because we had a ton of reward points through Best Western's rewards program that were due to expire. We would normally take a standard room, but thought, "what the heck, why not?" The suite room is a standard room on the first floor with a loft and spiral staircase. In the loft is a queen bed, a tv, a dresser and a nightstand with a lamp. That's it. Having to get up in the middle of the night to use the restroom is quite tricky if in the loft - the spiral stair case is metal! You could hear every footstep. And the staircase could probably stand to be mopped. The room itself was nice; well decorated, comfy beds, and all the goodies you'd expect in a suite - tv, fridge, microwave. The water closet - yes, that's intentional wording, was TINY. A toilet with a shower unit. The shower was strange. Quite small and only a glass partition between it and the shower. No way to completely close off the whole thing but it didn't get much water on the floor. The in-room coffee was gross. It's the same in most Best Westerns. BUT, the coffee in the lobby was OUTSTANDING. Plus they set out warm chocolate chip cookies at 6 PM! The complimentary breakfast was the standard Best Western one, but the breakfast attendant was so sweet and helpful. The desk staff was great. If they couldn't answer a question, they immediately called someone to try to answer it.

Just returned from a weekend at the Best Western in Traverse City and I have to say the folks there are the best! Everyone is so friendly and helpful, including the front desk folks and housekeeping personnel. Judy, who was managing the breakfast area, couldn't have been any more helpful and efficient! Every time you turned around she was bring you more coffee and making sure there was plenty of food on the buffet. She was a whirlwind in motion! The hotel is extremely pet friendly and this time we took our little dog along with us. They have an outside pet walking area at one end of the hotel that is even equipped with bags for picking up what's left behind. If your travels take you to Traverse City, this is the place to stay... you'll be glad you did!!

We arrived earlier than 3:00 and were able to check in which was nice. The staff was very friendly. They offered us a choice of rewards for our stay. The lady in the breakfast area was very nice. Would definitely stay here again!

We were so impressed with the way the staff treated us. Cristy, Jon, Tracey, and Angela made our stay feel like a home away from home. Then..there was Judy! Her hospitality was above anything we've ever experienced in a hotel or otherwise while traveling! We'll definitely be staying at Best Western Plus on our next visit to Traverse City! Thank you!

The staff is the friendliest that I have ever encountered at a hotel. They went above and beyond to make our stay special even leaving us a birthday surprise and hand written card. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The free continental breakfast was well stocked and offered a good variety. I will definitely stay here again.

The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and clean. The property is older and could use an update. The mattress was extremely firm and uncomfortable. The sheets were thin, needed to be replaced.

Great location with easy access to downtown and the winery districts. Very nice staff. The hotel was recently refreshed and the updates are very nice. The front desk staff were terrific and the breakfast host was very helpful with directions.

The hotel was completely remodeled two years ago so it is a good value for the pricey Traverse City area. The breakfast is a cut above because the fresh fruit is good and there are lots of goodies to add to the yogurt. The staff is excellent, the rooms are quiet, and the location is good.

This hotel staff was the best! Christy and Angela went out of their way to make our group comfortable and were extremely accommodating. The rooms were clean and spacious. The breakfast and breakfast staff were wonderful! I would definitely stay at this hotel again in the future.

My second stay at this establishment. Christy & Nick on the afternoon and night shift were excellent hosts/staff to deal with. Very professional. I would recommend this place to other coming to the area looking for a good no hassle place to stay overnight.

We had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning. The breakfast offered was great. The pool area was also very clean. The pool was larger than we expected, which the kids loved. We would stay here again without hesitation.

We stay at this Best Western each fall period, and always have the best stay. We come here each fall because my wife has relatives here and the fall foliage is good in late October.. Great views of Grand Traverse Bay. Good city and greatBest Western Plus.

For the last few years, taking in the extraordinary Fall colors in Michigan and New England has become a highlight of the change of seasons for me. Half the fun is getting there, the other half is staying at welcoming properties with the amenities that suit my requirements...exercise room, breakfast, internet, suite accommodations and an added bonus - shuttle service to restaurants and other downtown points of interest. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Excellent!!!

We spent a weekend at the Best Western Plus to attend a tournament for my son's hockey team. The staff was outstanding and could not have been more polite or accommodating. Christy even baked us an extra batch of cookies! The hotel itself was reasonably priced and conveniently located- just a short drive into downtown Traverse City (or you can take their shuttle). The rooms themselves were spacious and clean. We had a loft room with a spiral staircase. The kids loved having their own private loft, complete with queen-sized bed, TV, and skylight. The bathroom was a bit small, but functional, so not an issue. Our room also had a mini-fridge and a microwave. The pool is on the larger side and is open 24 hours! It ranges in depth from 3 feet to 11 feet. They also have pool toys for the kids to enjoy. We enjoyed the daily continental breakfast which included the usual - cereal, yogurt, eggs, bacon / sausage, make your own waffles, pastries, etc. Would definitely stay there again!

We arrived early (to avoid traffic leaving Chicago) and were given a warm (pet friendly) welcome by Christy. The team was quick to service a room to allow for an early check-in, which was greatly appreciated. The hotel has a real homely atmosphere and welcome. There were a number of nice touches, like the tennis ball and treats in the room for our pet dog, the warm cookies and milk in the evenings, the free shuttle service to/from downtown and a hearty breakfast with a wide variety of options. We really enjoyed staying at this hotel.

The hotel was very clean, comfortable, and in a great location. The full breakfast was wonderful. Judy was the employee who set up the breakfast each morning. Everything was fresh and delicious. She was constantly out there replacing items that were gone, and cleaning up. She was very kind and friendly to everyone. Made you feel like family. Thank you Judy. Christy at the front desk was very kind and professional. She was even able to extend our stay for us, as we didn't want to leave, and it was a busy week for them. She was able to accommodate us and helped make our stay even nicer. My husband and I were up there for my birthday and wedding anniversary. The pool and pool area was super clean and I enjoyed swimming there each night. Loved the pool. One more shout out to Scott and Brad, who took us downtown each evening. They were very kind and courteous. Their service was very appreciated, as it saved us from having to find parking downtown. We will definitely stay here again. I would highly recommend this hotel. A warm hello and it was off for a homey and cozy couple days. Waking up (even in the rainy days) coffee wasn't far and it was all good. Shuttle service offered to take you to the stores or the diners in the areas. Drop off and pick up by kind and courteous folks. I will be back, and if you're smart you will go too.

After a disappointing experience at a nearby "Resort", we were thrilled to find the Best Western Plus had a vacancy. The rooms were very clean, updated, and comfortable. Staff went out of their way to ensure we were greeted whenever in proximity of the main lobby. There were cookies, coffee & tea available in the afternoon and a basic free breakfast fare served in a clean well-attended dining area. The Reflect Bistro is located next door and offered excellent food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan on going again.

The hotel was clean, convenient and a good value for the money. We enjoyed the stay very much and would recommend this location.The staff and amenities were very nice and the breakfast was good. We would stay here again.

Great staff, extremely clean, superfast internet, workout area and pool, close to all activities in the area! Rooms are updated, great breakfast included, pet friendly. Definitely would not hesitate to book here again.

The room and location was nice the staff was great but the guest in the room next to me left their dog in the room that barks all night at any and every noise the property which I believe is owned by best western next door was great

We were very pleased with this hotel. The staff went out of their way to be courteous and helpful. The room was quite nice and most importantly very clean. We definitely will stay here whenever we are in the area.

Our expectations were exceeded. This hotel is very clean and nicely updated. We dealt with Angela at the front desk our entire stay. We found her to be very warm, caring and helpful. She went out of her way to give us lots of information about the hotel and the surrounding area. She gave us a choice of top or bottom floor. The hotel was very quiet. Even though it was booked to capacity Saturday night, we did not hear excessive noise. This hotel serves a hot continental breakfast each morning. Coffee and hot cocoa are available in the lobby 24/7. At 6pm each day they put warm cookies out with it!! They provide a free shuttle to anywhere in T.C. It runs from 5:30 am to Midnight. We took advantage of this exceptional amenity. Our driver was very friendly and courteous. The heated pool is fantastic. It is open 24 hours! They also provide towels in the pool area, so you don't have to take towels out of your room. The pool goes up to 11 foot deep. They also allow you to bring your pets to stay. Our room was very large and featured a king size bed. The bathroom was very modern with a nice size glass shower, no tub. The room had a microwave and mini fridge. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area!

This hotel is a great place to stay. The staff are all exceptional! From the minute you approach the front desk, you will find the staff to be warm and very welcoming. They also proved to be very helpful in making dinner reservations, helping us locate areas in the city and answering our many questions. The hotel is comfortable, clean and well located. However, as mentioned, it is the staff that makes it really a special stay here! Special thanks to the ladies at the front desk and the employee who made sure that the breakfast area was well looked after - she is a real gem!

Christy and Angela are very enjoyable first contact people. Friendly and efficient they made arriving and departing painless. The breakfast was out on time and hot, prepared by another pleasant and helpful staff member.

The staff at the front desk, day and night, were extremely friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. The room was huge, clean and appeared almost brand new. Beds were comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. They also provided a nice and generous breakfast each morning. The lady that works the breakfast area makes sure nothing runs out on the food counter along with clearing tables and always stopping off to a customer or two, to chat. Judy, it was our pleasure that you picked us while we were dining. Folks, this is the happiest lady in the world. We loved talking to her. Great place to stay!!

They had one unique feature that we used, and that was the complimentary rides to town or wherever. The roads were under construction and being able to get a prompt ride there and back was good. Very friendly driver that knew the town well.

I have stayed at many Best Western's throughout North America, so I tend to be well acquainted with the brand along with their standards. Below is my list of pros and cons. Pros: The grounds were well maintained Front desk staff were very friendly Our room was extremely clean and organized Plenty of parking available The fridge, microwave and armoire were nice additions to the room Shuttles to and room downtown was very convenient Cons: Compared to many other Best Western's, the bed wasn't overly comfortable While the fridge was much appreciated, it was quite loud throughout the night The layout of the room itself was a little awkward Overall, it was a positive experience and we were satisfied with our choice of this 2-star hotel.

My dear husband and I recently traveled to Traverse City and stayed at the Best Western Plus for two nights, Saturday, 09/30/17 & Sunday, 10/01/17. I will refrain from repeating all the wonderful, positive comments and observations about this hotel, all of which were evidenced by me and my husband. However, one final event totally defined our stay, a wonderful stay that would have been nearly ruined if not for one employee, Christy Brown. So, after a relatively nice weekend in this clean, lovely, cozy, comfortable, conveniently located & friendly hotel (with a wonderful breakfast buffet), my husband and I returned home where he realized he was without the key fob for his VW Jetta. Of course, after an extensive search of clothes, luggage, my car and everywhere else on earth, my husband insisted he left his key fob in a dresser or nightstand in our room at the Best Western, Room #209. So, the calls to the Best Western started mid-Monday, 10/02/17 and initially no one seemed overly concerned or enthusiastic to help us, even though we basically begged front desk staff to re-check our room for the keys. We were told "room attendants always thoroughly scope rooms when they clean, so keys left would have been turned in, etc." We were told "we will call you if/when the keys are found, etc." We were given the usual "we're still looking into it but we cannot do so now because the room is occupied and we are busy, etc" each time we called ( a total of about 4 calls). Discouraging. In resignation, my husband and I decided to forget Traverse City and just have a new programmable key made for the car. Well, I nearly cried (literally) when an Ann Arbor dealership told me the cost to purchase and program a new VW key was going to total upwards of $600 because the programming process included towing our car to the Ann Arbor dealership (some 35-40 miles from our home), necessary to program the new blank anti-theft key. Needless to say, my husband and I were frantic because my husband is pretty compulsive with his "final sweep" of hotel rooms prior to each departure...we were totally certain the key fob was in the room. Well, after another sleepless night, I decided to phone the hotel one last time (now it's Wednesday) and I asked to speak with a manager. To my relief, I encountered Christy and her compassionate kindness, who sensed my panic, listened to my story, BELIEVED ME THAT THE KEY FOB WAS IN THE ROOM and took it upon herself to go up to Room #209, reassuring me she would check EACH AND EVERY NOOK AND CRANNY FOR OUR KEYS. And behold...Christy called me back about 10 minutes later and said, "Mrs Fiore, I have the keys." Words cannot describe the relief I felt for my dear husband, who works very very hard and (I'm certain) felt awful about leaving his keys behind. For us $600 is a lot of money. Plus, the time involved towing the car and making trips to and from the dealership were going to be a hardship. I could not (and cannot) thank Christy enough. Today, I feel encouraged knowing folks like Christy Brown still roam this earth. No one else wanted to go the extra distance but Christy did and my husband and I cannot thank her enough, from the bottom of our hearts. I hope the hotel managers, supervisors and all the powers that be (along with Christy's coworkers) know how fortunate they are to have an employee & coworker like Christy. Christy saved us our weekend trip, as well as over $600 and a ton of grief, stress, travel wear 'n tear and weariness. The breakfast staff, most of the front desk staff and most folks we encountered were wonderful. Everyone works very hard to keep this hotel as fantastic as it is. But what can you say about folks like Christy? I always try doing so but I will definitely be paying this forward. And I am forever grateful and thankful for Christy.
