« Poorly maintained ( broken TV, broken room locks) »

We had two rooms-the rooms had to be re-keyed three times during the visit. We had to ask for clean linen. When the rooms were cleaned there were dirty paper cups left on the night stands with the cold morning coffee still in them. Breakfast was mediocre.

« Good value for the price »

Stayed here while visiting our grandson in Towson. The hotel is not new, but we believe we got good value for our money. Nice breakfast and a small bar for cocktails. Only 10 minutes from the school and center city.

« Comfortable, Affordable and Reputable Hotel »

We stayed one night for Thanksgiving Day this past Thursday. This Best Western was had 6 floors on a decent parcel of land and strategically near the highway. It was very quiet throughout the stay. The customer service reps were very nice and respectful. Our room was clean and smelled good. The hallways were clean and smelled good. The morning breakfast was delicious and had a good group of folks from all over visiting family and friends for the holiday season. The parking lot was safe and had sufficient parking spaces. My only minor complaint is that the AC and Heating unit turns automatically and did not produce any heat in our room. Even when we shut down the unit from the wall panel. It took more than several minutes for the unit to shut down. I called room service to explain the issue and we offered another room, but we refused because we were already comfortable in our rooms. We did not try the WiFi, so I cannot comment on that. Other than that, the Best Western Plus in Towson was good hotel and good amenities for people who a comfortable, affordable and reputable place to stay

« Great place to stay. »

This is a good, clean hotel with reasonable rates. It is located very close to shopping, dining and other services. Easy interstate access. Very friendly staff. Parking is ample and free. I stayed a week in early November and went back when visiting with family for Thanksgiving. I would definitely stay again.

    « Best Western Plus - Towson »

The housekeeping staff was very nice and courteous. the hotel lobby and room was very clean. Front Desk was amazing. Always smiling and eager to help with an answer to questions I had. I would highly recommend this location.

    « Hidden Gem »

Nice having suites as available options especially at such short notice. Bacon and Sausage on a free breakfast bar plus blueberry waffles, if I wasn't already sold that would have definitely done it! Wi-Fi was super easy to connect to (no difficult username and password). Suite made the room seem like an actual living quarter.

    « Great stay »

Hotel was very clean. The room was perfect. Staff were helpful. Conference staff were very nice. The free hot breakfast was good. Took the family and they had a nice time. We will definitely stay again in this hotel if we are in the area. The only negative was there was an outdoor pool, no indoor pool for the kids.

« Nice hotel with friendly staff »

Loved it here! I really have no complaints at all. It was very booked so took a while to get into the room but other than that everything was lovely. I guess that speaks for itself the fact that it was fully booked!

    « great »

Room was very clean, staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Wished there was a Restaurant. TV Channel changer kinda sucked. A good variety of Restaurants in the area. Most delivered, that was awesome.

    « Roach motel »

Stayed this weekend and on both Saturday and Sunday morning we woke up to roaches crawling on the pillows on the bed and roaches on the headboard on Sunday. Upon further review on Sunday there were at least 4 more roaches on the headboard. I took a video of one crawling up the pillow on Sunday. When we called downstairs Sunday we were told that the manager would call us back. He did not call us back so my husband went speak to him. Then i called to complain and they called this best western and stated that they were told that they would not comp the stay because the hotel stated that they had just had an inspection and were "bug free". I then called downstairs again and was told that the manager wanted to talk to us in person so i told them to send him upstairs so they could see the roaches for himself. However he didnt come upstairs until my husband went to get him from the from desk. Then him and a housekeeper came upstairs after my husband went downstairs (i guess he needed protection) and he saw the roaches on the headboard himself. He then stated that he would need to call the general mgr to see if they could comp. the stay (the least they could do). In the end they stated they would and i am currently waiting to see if it is credited to my credit card.

    « Great Stay! »

We were in town for a wedding, and the hotel we were supposed to stay at was fully booked. The location was perfect, right off the Beltway. The room was very clean, and the bathroom was very nice. The only complaint I have about the hotel was the very low water pressure. It seems to be a problem at every hotel we stay at, but it was very poor here. The staff were very friendly, and were very accommodating in trying to get me checked in before check in time. The breakfast was great, and had a few hot items included with the standard hotel breakfast fare. Overall, it's one of the best hotel stays I've had recently. Was a little disappointed the Hotel bar didn't open until 5 on Saturday, as it would have been nice to sit and have a drink there while waiting on my room.

    « Outstanding hotel »

My stay at the Best Western Plus in Towson, MD was very comfortable and enjoyable. Getting check in was easy, they have one staff member name Destiny that is so pleasant and will try to assist you in any way to make your stay very comfortable. I will recommend this spot to anyone.

« Not as good as previous stays »

Good location and usually spot on with price and amenities however this time there was a smell of smoke in the hallway a few times and the room was stale smelling and mildew smell from the ac. The conditioner was cheap. One of the beds was listing to the side when sleeping.

    « Friendly and clean »

Good place to stay for College visit with the family. Breakfast was a hit with the kids. Clean rooms and front desk staff very friendly. Convenient location for school visit. Close to restaurants and mall.

« Great location for visiting Towson University »

I have stayed here 3 times while my son toured, had orientation and visiting at Towson University. We stayed once at the hotel on campus, it is very nice there but very pricey and no breakfast. I prefer the BW, and it's only 8 min from campus.

    « Family weekend »

This hotel was great for Family weekend at Loyola Maryland. It was easy off the highway and close enough to Loyola. The breakfast was very good. A great variety and tasted good. Parking was never a problem.

« Best hotel in the Blatimore for service and cleaness »

it is very best hotel to stay in baltimore. it is very clean and having co-operative staff. breakfast very fresh even bar tender is also giving good service. Romm service and is very quick and excellent. Even Front desk count employee are very helpful to gide

« Great location, clean and comfortable »

Always our hotel of choice when in the Balto area. Location is convenient and the hotel is always clean. Breakfast was one of the better self-serve hotel breakfast. Waffle irons were in great working order, bacon and eggs were hot and other items were fresh.

    « Great little hotel »

Travelled to Towson for an event at TU and needed somewhere to stay. The Best Western was a great alternative after seeing the prices listed on the hotels within walking distance to the university. The hotel was kept very nice and the room was very clean. Some of the room needed an upgrade (peeling wallpaper in the bathroom, peeling wood laminate on some of the furniture) but overall I was very pleased with my stay. Wish I could've spent more time there but the hotel was way more than I needed for the one night. Would definitely recommend. And it's close enough to Baltimore that it could be a good alternative to stay on downtown.

    « exelant services »

i am not very good with the computer but i have lots of goodness to say about the hotel and the staff especely sam i am old and this is the type of hotel i could call home i live on the other side of the world i wish all hotels could be like this best western

the hotel was so nice and clean. very nice service from all over there while I was staying there. my wife become so happy because she love to stay in motel like best western plus located at towson area. great keep it up!!!!!!

    « business trip »

extremely comfortable stay , will very clean and upgraded rooms, staff very helpful and courteous , would stay if in the area. Great location very close to towson town center with lots of restaurant and shopping . right of the exit off the baltimore beltway 695.

    « Never again »

I booked four rings for five nights for my colleagues and myself for a huge Expo we were attending. I had sent a very large package to the hotel which arrived the day before I did, addressed to 'Guest: (my name). The hotel could not find the package, which was a pivotal part of our display for the Expo.... We are talking about a 4' x 2' box.... They found it on the last day of our show, which was no help. They were only willing to comp one of us ONE night. Being this, the hotel is very old and run down, smells and the restaurant for the free breakfast is something I didn't want even though it was complimentary. Folgers coffee... The room was dark and being in the shower gives you the feeling you are showering in an RV. For one night when nothing else us available, this might do for you. For an extended stay or when you are sending anything to them, run the other way.

    « Very Clean »

I booked a room to come and look at Towson University for grad school. Im glad I booked this hotel because the price and location. Its right off 695 so it is easy to get to. It was quiet and the staff was informative because I did not know the area at the time. I recommended this hotel to a few people.

    « Excellent Hospitality »

We enjoyed the entire staff at the Best Western Plus in Towson Md. Front desk was exceptional, courteous, and very helpful. The room was very comfortable and clean. Housekeeping was super! Even the lifeguard by the beautiful swimming pool was great. The bartender was lots of fun to talk with and great service was provided. Breakfast was delicious. We even extended our stay!

« Friendly staff, great room »

The room felt very upscale for a moderately priced hotel. It was spacious and cozy. The staff was helpful and everyone seemed very happy to be working at this hotel; I didn't realize how much of a difference attitude can make until spending the night here. It was clean and had a diverse group of guests.

    « Nice Room »

Our room was very pleasant. The breakfast in the morning was also very enjoyable and we'll stocked. There was a service lady who kept everything well stocked. The room was clean and fresh smelling. We would recommend this hotel.

« Secluded, yet Convenient; Excellence with Trees »

I always stay here whenst in Baltimore. The location, the physical facility, the rooms, the people, and the service are all superb! And the upper floors, facing west, offer stunning views of the sunsets.

« Our "Go To Place" in Baltimore »

The Best Western in Towson is where we prefer to stay our first night in the Baltimore Hanover PA area. We have family in Hanover Pa but must fly into Baltimore. We have stayed in the Inner arbor but it was very expensive. BW provides a comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. The desk staff is helpful and polite. The full breakfast is always delicious.

« Wilderness Retreat at the feet of the Towson Hills »

I have stayed here for a number of weeks since being part of nearby wind power project. The Staff here have definitely made their guests feel like they are at home. Excellent service in every department. Great multi-course hot breakfast, nice fitness center, nice forested outdoor area bordering the parking. All add up to a relaxing experience, at a reasonable price. I look forward to the near future when the in-hotel restaurant operation is reopened.

« Convenient Location, Pleasant Staff, Clean and Comfortable Room, Nice Price! »

Traveled to Towson for a family gathering and couldn't have found a better hotel in exactly the location for all the family get-togethers. While relaxing away from all the activities, enjoyed excellent cable channels with flawless reception. Plus, the complimentary breakfast was great. Although the hotel is convenient to shopping and restaurants as well as highway access, its location is quiet and there's plenty of parking. Best Western Plus Towson gets a thumb's up!

    « BED BUGS GREETING!!!!!!! »

My husband & I came to Baltimore for the holiday weekend to visit our daughters and attend the MD state fair. Once we arrived and check in we received our key to room 519. To our SURPRISE WE WERE GREETING BY BED BUGS! They were on the bedding, pillows, on the headboard. We wipe several with a Lysol Disinfecting Wipe gathered our items and went to the front desk to show they staff. They stated apologies, offered us a comp night for that Saturday, offered another room. But there was NO WAY we were going to stay. We checked into the Sheraton North near the Towson Mall. We have never stayed at a BWP and we are hoping that this HORRIBLE ENCOUNTER does not sway us away from every trying another BWP.

    « Pleasant surprise »

Checking in was a snap front desk clerk was very pleasant. My king room was nice plenty of room. TV was nice plenty of channels. The complimentary breakfast was fine. There is an outdoor pool, and also two computer work stations. Everyone I met working at this location was pleasant and all had a smile. I will return The price was right. Plenty of free parking.

    « Comfortable Stay »

Was in Towson for an annual medical appointment. Room was clean and quiet, the bed was comfortable and the internet was flawless. Exit from the Baltimore Beltway was convenient. I'd never experienced Vietnamese cuisine before. I found the soup light and flavorful after a long drive. 24 hour coffee was convenient and good.

« Great Hotel Stay at Lower Cost Than Neighboring Hotels »

I stayed at the Best Western Plus, while in Towson, MD for college. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to get a much better rate than other hotels in the area that charged much more. The room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the amenities. The hotel provided a really nice buffet each morning for breakfast complimentary, kept a clean pool for guest use, provided fast internet that I never had a problem with from my room, and helped me to get situated after my previous arrangements fell through unexpectedly. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in the Towson area and am planning on staying here again soon.

    « Great staff! »

I booked the wrong day, ugh. It was late and we were tired after moving our daughter in for college. The front desk helped us out without skipping a beat, a real life saver! It was nice to have breakfast included as well with a decent amount of choices for everyone.

« Great Stay, Very Convenient! »

We always stay at Best Western Towson North because the place is extremely comfortable, beautifully managed and conveniently located to most destinations in the Baltimore Metro area! If you're going to be staying in the Towson area of Baltimore you can't do much better than this place!!

    « Confusing experience.. »

I have never been disappointed in my stays at BW properties. For this reason I became a reward member two years ago and have stayed at other BW properties close to a dozen times in the past year without issue. The staff here were very polite and friendly - THEY are the true gem of this location. The few downfalls of this property were the beds and pillows were awfully uncomfortable, our room did not get re-stocked or cleaned and we were staying for quite a few nights. This means I ran out of tissues, coffee and towels. We were in town for a music festival, so coming back at 1AM after dancing and being covered in sweat/dirt, coming back to your room seeing it hadnt been cleaned all day and not having a fresh towel is rough. The water pressure from the shower was also pretty pathetic. Best Western usually doesn't disappoint, but I was fairly bummed about this stay.

« Escape to the Woods in Towson, MD »

This country wooded setting made for an ideal weekend retreat. Quiet and remote enough to offer tranquility, but conveniently located for any shopping needs. The outside pool is nice and well maintained. In-motel Vietnamese restaurant and Bar offer elegant atmosphere with great menu and cocktail selections. Bar offers domestic and imported wines and beers; along with extraordinary service. This Best Western offers a superior travel experience.

    « Excellent experience & value »

Rented 2 rooms at a reasonable price. Accommodations were excellent, clean, comfortable. Staff was very friendly and respectful. Despite a busy weekend, room was quiet. Will return when next in the area.

    « excellent place »

It's professional yet family friendly environment as well. Staff is very courteous and professional. Housekeeping is available when ever you request a service. The restaurant and the bar provided is great if you don't feel like going out. If it's business or personal this place makes sure you return back.

    « Overall good experience »

My stay was overall a good experience. The rooms where clean and the staff was friendly. I had a one bedroom suite for 2 nights. The overall room size was pretty good. The hotel was very convenient to I-695. There are tones of restaurants and other dining options a short drive away. The hotel also has a really nice bar and lounge in the lobby. They also offer a pretty good free breakfast in the mornings.

    « Poor air Conditioning »

The air conditioning on the 6th floor was not working properly. The hall was over 80 degrees (according to their thermostat). Room upon check in was over 80 degrees, had to turn the thermostat to 60 to get room temperature to a reasonable temperature. Maid service didn't clean the room 1 day of our stay despite being gone all day from the hotel for a family event. Poor water pressure in the shower and the ceiling in the room texture was peeling off due to an old roof leak (had heavy rain while we where there and had no active water leaking through the ceiling.) Vanity in the bathroom was very tall ( I am 5'4" and I could barely lean over to reach the sink). Bed was very comfortable.

I like the services and cleanness of this hotel. and also staff are very co-operative. Bed is very comfortable to sleep. Breakfast is very nice and fresh and also restaurant is very clean. Reception staff are very co-operative

    « only 15 min. from downtown »

Hotel was great. Parking is free. Convenient to downtown. Very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good. Very friendly. NEGATIVES: Pool doesn't open til 1 pm. Room was not very sound proof. I could hear everything going on in the hallway at night. Doors slamming and people talking.

    « convenient hotel »

good common area, great breakfast. Room was a little musty smelling and shower was leaking water from shower head. Originally booked a room with 2 queen beds, and received 2 full beds , front desk changed the room. Convenient location with good price.

    « Good value & convenient »

We needed an hotel in Towson accessible to BWI Airport. When we arrived around Noon they were able to check us in early & upgraded to a suite. Destiny, the friendly desk clerk printed our boarding passes when the printer in the lobby would not cooperate. Room was clean, spacious & comfortable; helpful staff; would recommend to anyone seeking affordable & convenient accommodations.

    « Front Desk ACES! »

Didn't expect much, I really didn't...and when we arrived 3 hours EARLY the front desk person was "let me see what I can do." (I've had to wait hours before a room was ready at much more expensive hotels) She checked us in and even upgraded our room! BAM! What a PLEASURE! I can highly recommend this hotel for the location, cleanliness and GREAT Front Desk person by the name of Destiny. An asset to your Company Best Western. It's a pleasure to review your place because of her.

« Great Stay at Best Western »

very good hotel, includes a great breakfast. the breakfast restaurant doubles as a top-quility Vietnamese restaurant. beds and room clean and easy to get to. Pool was much bigger than i expectred. Fitness center about average, but i am picky

    « Dark and old »

After a problem with our reservation at another hotel we were able to get in here on very short notice. We had a two queen bed room with a pull out sofa. The lobby has been recently renovated but the rest of the hotel is old and outdated. When we arrived, at 4:30 am there was loud music being blasted from the speakers in the entrance area. After traveling for almost 24 hours...that was the last thing we needed to hear. The room was very dark with an odd smell. The electrical outlets were worn out and we could not get about 95% of our chargers to stay plugged into any outlet...they just fell out and wouldn't make contact. When I brought it to the front desk attendant's attention they said they'd have it taken care of never was fixed. The room was painted dark colors and the carpet was dirty. The shower head was on an odd extension and would not move at all. When the shower was on the water would only strike the opposite side of the shower making it virtually useless...especially for our children. The hotel is so old that the ceiling has the really large popcorn type covering and in the bathroom the ceiling was moldy because of this. I saw some furniture being delivered. It was being unloaded out of the back of a Uhaul truck and it looked used, it was scratched and looked worn out. This would explain the worn out electrical an unmatched feeling to our room. The night desk person did not seem to have any idea what was going on. When I would ask a question or buy some water from their cooler, he stopped talking on his cell phone long enough to take my money or say he didn't know the answer to my question and then jumped right back on his phone call again. This hotel was a MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT! Save yourself heartache and stay somewhere else.

    « How disappointing!! »

Not only was the carpeting in our room filthy, but it had bobby pins and hair all over the floor. The shower head was at the top of the wall and only hit the opposite wall, making it nearly useless. This hotel was recommended by family but, after seeing our room, they will not make that mistake again. We would NEVER stay here again!

    « Awesome Customer Service »

I'm not sure why people complain about unnecessary things...We have no complaints of our stay here. Great location, fast check-in, staff very accommodating & friendly including the Manager. Accommodation was very good, the bed appeared to need some replacing, reminded me of my bed from back in the days, still slept comfortably. The a/c in mint condition & the wifi worked perfectly on our room. Had to remind the front desk representative about our "Welcome pack", which was a great gesture~a bottle of water & sun chips! Pool was great, accommodates a person who has physical restriction, has a Hoya lift. We'll stay here again!!!

« Always My Favorite in Baltimore »

Over the years, this place and its people have always furnished a great welcome. The place is always attractive, clean, and in good repair; its surrounded by trees, and sits on a great street for walks. And close to the beltway and Route 95, too.

« Excellent Location Trumps Deferred Maintenance »

We need dependable accommodations during the next four years in the Greater Baltimore Area inasmuch as our daughter will matriculate at Towson University (TU). The location, value, and service afforded by this hotel are excellent although the hotel is in need of rehabilitation. Particularly if this hotel offers discounts for Towson University family members attending events at TU, rest assured we will return frequently.

« Fine choice near Towson University »

My husband, daughter and I stayed 1 night. Was a 10 minute drive to Towson Univ campus and fairly easy to get to off of 695, Good choice for a stay near or in Towson. Will likely stay there again for future visits to Towson.

    « Best Western Towson »

Stayed in the hotel last summer and returned this summer. Initially, stayed due to proximity to Goucher College. Enjoyed my stay this summer and will return next summer. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Excellent service and atmosphere in the lobby bar. Décor is a little dated, but I was told the hotel is going to be updated over the next year. Located minutes away from downtown Towson.

    « Good value »

Stayed here while my daughter had orientation at Loyola - in the past we had stayed in Inner Harbor but thought we'd try Towson. This property was easy to get to, had free parking (unheard of in the city) and was more affordable. Check in and out was easy and quick. Breakfast was fine (and included). The furnishings in the room (specifically the chair ) was old and beat up but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was clean so I thought overall for a 3 star hotel, it was very good. Also an easy drive to Towson Town Center, a great mall

    « Ready for a Face Lift »

I received a very good rate for my 3 night stay, which made it tolerable. Positives are good Wi-Fi and a decent breakfast. Room was ok and felt somewhat clean. Bed is so-so. Bathroom smelly and shower needed attention. Staff was fine, but did not go out of their way to be welcoming. Common areas are ready for a face lift.

    « Sleepless Weekend »

Started out fine...front desk clerk was friendly and helpful. She even offered us granola bars and fruit for the morning since we had to leave before breakfast was open. But that is where the positives ended. The first day, we never got any housekeeping service. We were out of the room from 6am until 1:30pm and nothing had been touched. Then tried to nap in the afternoon, but there was a loud party in the conference room right next to our room. That night, there was a party in the ballroom that was so loud that our walls actually shook. I called the desk at 10:30 to ask about the noise and was told there was a party in the ballroom that should end by midnight and that my room was directly above the ballroom. No apology offered. I asked to be moved, as my son had already missed a nap and had to be back at his swim meet at 6am. Was told there were no rooms available. The noise stopped at exactly midnight. In the morning I stopped at the desk to ask about events scheduled for that night. Clearly the clerk did not have customer service training. She asked why, and when I explained that I was the one who had called in the middle of the night about the party the previous night and could NOT have ANOTHER night with no sleep she said "I didn't talk to you last night". I said that I don't know who I talked to but that I had called at 10:30 to complain and try to move. She followed up with "I was here at 11, and I didn't talk to you". Then she said "we had a sorority party last night, but it ended early." I clarified that it ended at EXACTLY midnight because that was when my walls stopped shaking and the booming music stopped. She said she didn't see anything on the schedule for that night. I decided to check out a day early anyhow because I couldn't take the chance of no sleep again. No apology was offered, and the rate went up because I checked out a day early. I will take this up with my credit card company and will file an official complaint with Best Western about this stay. Do not stay here if you want to sleep, and do not accept a room on the second floor!! Conference rooms are on that hallway, and the ballroom is directly below.

    « Sleepless weekend »

No maid service by 1:30 pm first day. Second afternoon party in conference room next door playing music all afternoon. Second night party in ballroom so loud our walls were shaking. Asked to be moved, but was told there were no other rooms available but the party should stop at midnight. Don't stay here if you want to sleep.

    « Quiet, good night's sleep »

Had an issue initially with cleanliness of room upon admittance but notified front desk and they promptly and courteously remedied the issues. Breakfast was good and hot but a little late in coming out. I needed to leave by 6:20am and I was delayed due to breakfast not being ready at 6am.

    « Just ok... »

We spent a weekend here recently for an event at Towson University through USA Football. This was not the hotel that the event suggested to book. I booked this hotel because it seemed to have more to offer than the suggested hotel. It was a little disappointing. I was charged $390 for a two-night stay in a suite, and I don't think it was worth it. My family and I are not high-maintenance guests. but there were some pretty glaring housekeeping issues . To be fair, I want to list the good things too, so here is a list of pros and cons: The Pros: Nice pool area staffed with a lifeguard, clean lobby, free breakfast, very nice ladies serving breakfast and cleaning up the breakfast area, beautiful flowers outside, close to the University. The Cons: Housekeeping issues: One of the walls in our bedroom appeared to be splattered with something, and there was a white stain on the carpet near the beds. The bathroom sink had some grime around the faucet, and there were stains on the walls (make-up stains maybe?). The other room in the suite had a living room-type area with another television, a couch, chair and end and coffee tables. The chair was very worn, and its arms were very dirty. There was a kitchenette area with a microwave, mini-fridge, sink, and cabinets. The fridge and microwave were clean, but the drawers had food crumbs in them. I did let the front desk know about the stain on the rug and the weird stains on the wall, and they said they would let housekeeping know. Nothing was done during our stay, but hopefully it gets cleaned for the next guests. Temperature issues: the hallways were unbearably hot and humid. I just now read that this hotel engages in environmentally friendly practices. I'm not sure if not air conditioning the hallways was done for cost or environmental reasons (maybe both?), but the air was really heavy, and made it difficult for an asthmatic like me to breathe. All in all the stay was just ok. I've stayed at other hotels that offered more and charged less...

    « Convenient location »

We had to attend a graduation at the Towson SECU building so it was the perfect location. Nothing fancy but it suited our purpose of a one night stay. Can see that they are in the process of refreshing and fixing up the place.

« Consider it if there are no other options »

Hotel is a little beat up, needs a refresh fast. Bathrooms need the most work. Overall appearance of the hotel is old and graveyard staff is not very helpful. Consider this hotel if there are no other options.

    « Pleasant Stay »

I reserved a room here and was pleased that they honored my requests. The King room was clean and comfortable. There was a microwave and small refrigerator in the room. The bathroom was huge, and accessible. The shower had a dispenser on the wall with body wash, shampoo and conditioner, and the sink had a soap dispenser on the wall in addition to small bars of soap. What a great idea, having dispensers on the wall. The included breakfast was standard hotel fare, waffles, cereal, bread and bagels, scrambled eggs and sausage. It was quiet except for Friday night. A group of teenagers must have thought the hall our and their room was on was appropriate for racing back and forth and screaming. Thankfully we checked out the next day.

« Run down hotel but great staff »

The hotel is worn and needs updating but the staff is very caring and helpful. The breakfast had a nice large selection. The attached Pho restaurant has odd hours, only open from 5 to 10 pm. The carpet in our room was badly stained and there were no extra blankets available so we were cold. For some reason they had us change rooms mid stay, but they were very helpful in moving our things to the new room.

    « Best Stay Ever »

Outstanding, very enjoyable, will stay again and recommend to friends and family. My stay was to attend graduation activities and program for my daughter who graduated from Towson University with HONORS. So yes I will plan to stay again for total pleasure and in four years for my son's graduation.

« Convenient, but needs upgrade »

This hotel is right off the 695 beltway. Very convenient. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. The room was a bit drab and could use some updating. There were so many colors/prints going on that it was unattractive. The carpet and upholstery in the room showed signs of stain and wear. My biggest complaint was the dirty/stained carpet and upholstery in the public areas which struck us as soon as we walked in the lobby and throughout the building. Fine for an overnight and I got it at a discount price, so I can't complain about that.

« Best Western Cromwell Bridge Road Baltimore »

Excellent hotel. They always have a wonderful room for us! I would highly recommend this hotel close to 695. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly, the breakfast is both hot and cold foods and plentiful. We always stay here when we come to Baltimore which is at least two times a year.

    « Just Ok »

This hotel is ok if you are getting a discount, but I don't think it's worth $200.00 for a crappy bed. The hotel was clean and the appearance was nice as well. The breakfast was typical. It's what you would expect when eating at a hotel. I do think that dinning area could be a little bigger to accomodate the busy hours during the breakfast.

« Nice hotel for the price »

Clean room, nice staff, comfortable bed, microwave and fridge in the room (a big PLUS for me), and a nice breakfast. Other reviewers complained about the decor. Nothing's wrong with it, if you keep in mind that it's Best Western Plus. It's not Wyndham, Sheraton, etc. I would definitely stay here again.

« Nice place to stay for college moving days »

I have been using this hotel as my home base while moving my daughter in and out of Goucher college for the last three years. I keep coming back because it offers clean, comfortable accommodations for a reasonable price, as well as a substantial free breakfast and very friendly, helpful staff. It has a good Pho restaurant on the premises a, small sports bar and a small gym. There is an outdoor pool, but it was not filled at the time of my stay (May 12-15) The rooms have an iron and ironing board, microwave, fridge, coffee, and there is a hair dryer in the bathroom. There is a coin-operated washer and dryer on the fifth floor. The bedding is clean and luxurious. The furniture has a few dings, but the room is great for the price. There is free WiFi in every room and computers and printers in the lobby. I will always choose this hotel in Towson over others as long as it is available. It gets booked quickly for college moving dates - Maybe I should quit writing good reviews!

    « Pleasant Agreeable Stay »

The hotel was convenient and sleep was good. We got in late on a rainy night and the room was comfortable. We called for an extra blanket and it was brought immediately. The included breakfast has many items to choose from, very good.

    « Best Western Plus-Towson »

Acceptable hotel---- but our guest room needed extra cleaning after we arrived. (Bathroom floor was sticky.) Good location, convenient. Nice restaurant at hotel. Internet was working and staff was helpful. Breakfast was fine.

This place was fantastic!! The service and the staff went out of their way to make it fabalous!! I would highly recommend this Best Western to anyone!! Going forward I would check this hotel out again!!!!!

    « Another pleasant stay! »

I highly recommend this Best Western for a comfortable, clean and pleasant stay! I have been staying here for two years now while visiting our daughter at Towson University. Will be booking with them for another year!

    « sambo »

Good place for meeting and to stay for family and friends. Close to Towson U. and sports events. Easy on and off 695 and good location to Galcher U. Beds were to tall for old folks. The facilities were clean and bright. .

« Towson, Best Western Family stay »

Very good and accommodating, right down the block from my son's house, great and convenient! Breakfast was excellent and the girl waiting was super caring! The hotel was booked solid and I understand it is every weekend. We will use it in the future when visiting my son and his family. We make a habit of staying at the Best Western chain as we travel often and the breakfast is definitely a great savings when travelling.

    « Location, location, location. »

Great hotel, better breakfast than most hotels and close to my destination. The employees were friendly and courteous. I would recommend this hotel to all my friends. Try the All American Steakhouse to eat also. It was very accommodating to our group.

    « Great location »

The Best Western Plus in Towson serves as a great jump off spot for anyone looking for a convenient location just off the Baltimore Beltway. Located literally just off exit 29 it boasts a nice bar and Pho restaurant on site. The staff is friendly and professional. Breakfast is included.

« A disgrace for a Best Western PLUS hotel »

Beaten-up, dirty with terrible service, never again. It should lose it's PLUS rating! The carpet in the restaurant was filthy! Our sink base in the bathroom was so damaged it should have been replaced and the grout in the bathroom was so dirty it was probably unhealthy. Our room by 4PM had not even been made up and we asked just to have towels replaced-at 5PM still no towels we called the front desk and it took another 20 mins to get towels. We love Best Westerns and try to always stay at them but now we'll be much more careful in the future.

« Cheap Hotel by the beltway at Towson »

Hotel close to the exit on the beltway near Towson. Lots of shopping & restaurants near by. You need a car to get to them. Plenty of parking. The hotel has not been renovated in a while. Lots of patch work in the room & bathroom. Skip Breakfast - its pathetic & so is the dining room. Good example of you get what you pay for!

    « Very nice »

Stayed overnight with my wife & two grandkids. The room was very nice & looked to be newly renovated. Everything appeared to be in "New" condition and was very clean. Had an excellent night's sleep on the super comfortable beds! Free breakfast was very good, .....waffles, sausage & scrambled eggs started my day off right! Would definitely stay at this location again in the future!

    « Wouldn't encourage staying here »

Hotel is old and in need of an upgrade. Hallways have an odor (not appealing odor). Sleeping rooms are just okay, again they could use an upgrade. The bathroom vanity could use a can of paint. Watch your valuables in your room cause the guest room doors don't close very well. Cheap price and you definitely get what you pay for.

    « Excellent Hotel »

It would appear that the hotel was recently remodeled. I found the staff to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very nice. I would recommend the hotel for a business trip or family get away. It had a nice breakfast available, and it is close to the fairly new offerings in Towson - restaurants and bars.

« Stay in Towson Maryland »

Had strong chemical smell in the hallways and room. Front desk was not well trained. Person who answered phone was not helpful when they could not find my reservation even though I had confirmation number which I supplied. Found out later that my reservation was listed as my first name instead of my last name

« You get what you pay for »

Its a cheaper room in the area but for good reason. The hotel pictures make it seem pretty nice but once you step inside you immediately discover just how worn and tired this property is. The rooms are dark, the furniture needs replacement and the carpets seemed extremely dirty. I was staying for one night on business and thank goodness it was only one night because the internet service is almost non existent and the joke of a business center is just that. My front desk agent did not smile at any point during check in and really seemed unhappy to even be there. She also antagonized a colleague of mine with a million questions when he came to get something from my room. She let him up after calling and saying this was an exception because "the hotel policy is no room guests after 10pm!" I have never heard something so ridiculous in the 8 years that I have been in hotels for 3 or more months a year all across the country. This was my first attempt with the brand and it definitely solidified my choice in Hilton or IHG brand properties.

    « Great »

The staff was excellent with their professionalism and knowledge. The lobby and the rooms were very clean and presentable. The fitness room was a great benefit as well. I would always recommend this hotel to anyone for any reason.

« Good value for short business trip »

Clean, hospitable and friendly, easy on/off major roadways !! Great breakfast. the hotel is secure with nice bar and lounge. The area is great for seafood. The staff recommended a nice restaurant, was patient

    « Amazing Breakfast »

Everything about this hotel was typical...except the breakfast. It was easy access from the freeway. The check-in guy could learn to smile, but he was very accommodating with printing out directions when I asked him for different restaurants or malls. The room was pleasant - nice beds, good pillows, warm comforters. The breakfast was just divine - different breads/English muffins/bagels with choice of butter, jelly or Nutella. There were scrambled eggs and sausage. Yogurt. Cereal. Waffles - plain mix or blueberry mix. Beside the waffle maker were jars of toppings - mini chocolate chips, granola, mini peanut butter chips and cranberries. Delicious!

« Reasonable but not so nice »

Stayed here this week to visit Towson University. This place is a little sad. There is a musty, unpleasant scent in the lobby area, same in the hotel rooms. They tried to spruce up the rooms with newer furniture and an updated bathroom. However they overlooked the necessity to lay down wallpaper in the bathroom better (looks like a hack job or just really old wallpaper) and get rid of the stucco ceiling, which is showing its age. The price is definitely right, and the alternatives are double this rate. So if you consider that the rooms are generally clean, and you can tolerate almost anywhere that's clean for one night, it's possibly worth considering. Oddly, the breakfast alternatives are quite varied, and pretty nice. Breakfast is served in the Vietnamese restaurant next-door, which is attached to the hotel.

« Good family option north of Baltimore »

We were visiting friends north of I-695 and needed a room for our family of four. The price was right for a suite with king bed and sofabed, and even though there wasn't a door between the bedroom and sitting area, there was plenty of space, which was nice. Other pros: Courteous service at check-in, and the maid was nice enough to make up not only our bed and the sofabed but the air mattress we had brought. Room also was clean in general. Free breakfast - nothing special, but multiple hot and cold options. Easy to find right off I-695. Cons: The lobby floor was sticky one night. No vending machines on the room floors, although not a big deal for us. In all, perfectly fine option at a good price for those who need to be in the Towson area.

    « Great value »

Desk area unimpressive although there is a comfy open sitting/ bar area nearby....... Didn't see it until next morning. Rooms clean but furnishings etc a bit shabby. Bed very comfortable. Room larger than most in this category. Hall a bit noisy at night. Good breakfast with many options healthy and not so healthy. Service at breakfast bar was very attentive. I would stay here again when traveling but not on vacation.

« Wonderful stay at this Best Western! »

We stayed in a king suite and it was lovely. Quiet, Very Clean, very comfortable and very spacious. Complimentary Breakfast in the morning was great. The choices were many. Yogurts, fresh fruits, bagels, waffles, eggs...a nice perk for sure. Close to major highways and 15 minutes from Baltimore. For the one reviewer below who stated " Certainly not a boutique property" are you sure you stayed at this particular property? . I have stayed at many "Boutique Hotels" paid quadruple the price of this BW and was often beyond disappointed. Keep up the good BW. We will most definately return!!

« Always My First Choice »

Great location, with trees and close to the beltway and not far from 95, this place has been my first choice for years. Best of all is their staff, with many long term members - always a good sign - and they are always welcoming, cheerful, and good at what they do. Plus, they have real breakfast options. I recommend the place without hesitation.

« Certainly not a boutique hotel, try to stay elsewhere »

Pluses: free parking, strong wifi, free but unhealthy breakfast, 300 feet from 695 (that's a minus, also) Minuses: Grungy, shabby, dirty, no atmosphere, low-ceiling dismal rooms, well-worn 'fitness' center, stained carpeting everywhere, loud hvac in room, poor linens, uncomfortable bedding, could hear crying child in next room Hotel is desperately trying to sell itself as a 'boutique' stay: it is not. Hopefully a lot of rehab is planned for this hotel because there is no 'plus' to it at all.

    « Good Value »

I was either upgraded or all the rooms are like that. Walked in and had a seperate den and then a nice size bedroom. Unfortunately I only got to the hotel at 1am but the room was good for what it is. If you have business in the area, its perfectly situation since its right on the highway

    « college visit »

Best Western was easy to find in an unfamiliar area. Very clean, and was close to college we visited. Easy to get around the area. Was disappointed with food offerings after a 9 hour drive, so having to get back in the car to find a good burger place was a pain. Breakfast included was fine-did the trick.

    « Fail »

Checked into hotel Saturday afternoon, changed quickly for a wedding that we were attending and left the room. Returned later that eve and found that the room which we set the thermostat at 75 when we left was freezing. Informed the front desk who so helpfully informed me that I should try setting it to 90 degrees. Well it was very late the hotel full with soccer teams so I went back set it to max and felt the room get colder. I shut it off so as not to have cold air blowing.Next morning I told desk that it was uncomfortably cold in the room all night She looked up and said "oh sorry". She could care less.

    « Enjoyable overnight stay »

We arrived at the Best Western Plus in Towson around 7pm, check in was quick and effortless by a pleasant employee that knew what she was doing. We were in our room within five minutes of initially entering the hotel. The hotel has been kept up and it is in good order. Everything is exactly how you'd expect it to be for the price you pay. The employees are friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, there were plenty of towels, lots of hot water, flat screen TV with plenty of channels, microwave, small refrigerator, and adequate parking. The included breakfast is more then you'd expect: eggs, bacon, waffles, pastries, cereals, fruits, yogurt, bread, orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice, coffee, among other items. There is an outside pool, but it was closed due to the time of year we visited. If you're in the area and looking for a nice place to spend a night or two, without spending a lot of money, this will do nicely.

    « Very pleasant experience! »

This hotel was very nice and very clean! Beds were super comfy. The location is great; close to lots of stores, restaurants, local colleges, etc. The proximity to Baltimore was great too without having to actually stay in Baltimore. The fitness center was spacious. The only complaint I have was that the toiletries in the bathroom were mislabeled. The one labelled as conditioner was actually hair wasnt happy about that lol

    « Decent stay »

The room that we booked (2 Queen Room Suite) was not available when we checked in and they tried to tell us that it was a mix up with the online booking. They were able to accommodate us into a King Room Suite. The rooms were clean and the staff was pleasant. Nothing fancy. Most disappointing was the restaurant on property that serves Vietnamese food.

    « Satisfied »

The check in process was interesting. The person that checked me in didn't seem to know that I had used my points to get a free room night. She asked me how I made the reservation and I explained to her that I used my points, then she seemed to be very sarcastic saying that there is a $75.00 dollar credit authorization and joked that it doesn't apply to me. I didn't find that very professional at all. The front desk clerk should have known how I made the reservation. Other than the check in process, the stay was excellent.

    « Pleasent Stay »

I stayed here for a weekend bike show in Timonium. The Hotel seemed to have been recently redecorated. Everything was clean and worked well. Breakfast was good(sauage, bacon, eggs, waffles, muffins, etc, and a good selection of drinks.

« timonium motorcycle show hotel »

2nd trip to Timonium. this hotel was about 8 minutes away from there. great hotel great price would definitely stay again. clean & affordable, comfortable bed & excellent complimentary breakfast. the Vietnamese restaurant was a unique dining experience after we checked in & got settled

« Very good for the price »

Stayed overnight while visiting Towson Univ(quick 10 min ride from hotel to TU). Staff very polite, hotel lobby, elevator and room very clean, only issue was odor in 6th floor hallway. Once you got past that, all was good. Breakfast had nice selection and kept very clean as well. Had friends who stayed on 3rd floor, they had a rough night due to noise by the stairs.

« Only stay here as last resort! »

Upon arriving the front desk informed us that there was not hot water because the boilers were down. When we tried to open our hotel room the door was jammed and we had to use our shoulder to push against the door to open it. The shower only had one bar of soap, the hand soap, body wash, shampoo mounts on the wall were all empty! The hotel bar was half closed because water was dripping from the A/C units. At the restaurant we arrived around 9:45pm and asked if it was open and was told yes, we sat down ordered beers and asked for menu - but were told the kitchen was closed...eventhough people at the bar were eating and they were still making food for carry-out. So we paid for beers and left to eat elsewhere. When we went down for breakfast, the area was a pig sty - grease and food everywhere! The ceiling tiles in the room were all stained from the A/C units which made the room look filthy. The beds were comfortable and A/C units were quiet in the room. Overall the hotel needs to be cleaned and repaired to address these issues...we shouldn't have to use our shoulder each time we wanted to enter our room and disrupt the adjacent rooms with the banging on the door.

    « Amazing stay! »

This is a definite recommendation for all fellow colleagues at Goucher College. The secure environment of the hotel was a sense of home away from home. And a shout out to Karcher. What a wonderful, dedicated person!

    « Great stay! »

Stayed there 12 days for grad program at Goucher college. Offered shuttle services every day and breakfast. Changed my room location with no problem when I requested. Great service, great rooms. Would definitely recommend if in Towson. I was between this and the Sheraton and really glad I stayed here. The only thing is if you don't have a car there is not much in walking distance. But if you do have a car you are close to malls, shops, highway etc.

« Great stop over place »

We originally picked this place last year on our way to the AutoTrain because the the on site restaurant, Pho Towson. We Love, Love, Love, Pho's but the hotel was also an excellent choice. Not far off 95, clean rooms, nice staff....great parking for handicapped persons.

    « Like Siberia »

I liked this place before but my second visit is a disaster. The place is so cold the cleaning staff are wearing heavy jackets and scarfs. Last night the bartender told me she couldn't get the temperature above 60 degrees. My room is so cold that I have it set to 80 and I can see my breath in the bathroom. This morning at 630 a cleaning person came into my room unannounced and turned on the lights. Everyone is complaining about the frigid temperatures

    « Terrible Service / Filthy Room »

Rude Staff, filthy room and didn't clean our room 2 days in a row. If you like a clean room, clean towels and a freshly made bed, don't bother coming to this hotel. When I asked for room service twice in the same day, I got non. I check out a day early, paid my final bill and was later charged an extra night.

    « Excellent breakfast! »

Good value and convenient location right off 695. Was surprised it was so quiet considering how close to the Beltway it was. The bathroom could have been cleaner- there was some mold. Bed was fairly comfortable and the room and hotel were pretty clean. Staff was fine- no complaints. There was one employee- woman who helped with the breakfast in the morning- she was very nice and helpful. The continental breakfast was one of the best I've had at any hotel chain.

    « i like the hotel »

this is my favorite location in Baltimore, its close to downtown and plenty of places to eat and every time i come i get a quiet floor. the internet is great, the staff is nice and i forgot my toothbrush and razor, they gave me one unlike few hotels i visited. the cost is not high

    « Disappointing Customer Service »

Arrived on Dec 28 to no heat in my room. Went to bed in a turtle neck sweater and a nightshirt and was still to cold to sleep. Thermostat was set on 85 but only blew out cold air. Plus there was no blanket in the room. At check in, a call came to the front desk requesting a heater because there was no heat in that guest room. Clerk's response was that there was no one on duty to correct the problem and that there were no heaters either. When I reported my cold night to a manager, I was offered given a 10% discount for the one night that I was too cold to even sleep. Second issue was no maid service on the second day of my stay. Instead of an apology, the manager told me that I had the "Do Not Disturb" sign out. The sign was removed at 1pm, but the manger said the maids had left for the day by that time. If there is a limited window for available maid service, then guests should be informed at check in or that information should be posted somewhere in the room. Management should not assume that guests know in-house policies.

    « Merry Christmas »

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during Christmas while visiting family. We booked a king bedroom but was given a suite with a king size bed. Awesome!! It was a pleasant surprise. We are members of Best Western and stay here whenever we're in town and this was the first time they gave us an upgrade! It was really appreciated and breakfast was great!

    « Christmas night »

After a long Christmas Day of visiting relatives it was nice to stay in this hotel. It was very reasonable, clean and very quite. The breakfast was good with good variety of choices. This location you have easy access to the highway.

« A Warm Welcome in Towson, Maryland »

This Best Western has been my first choice in the Baltimore area for several years, and will remain so. A good facility, in an excellent location, with TREES, and a quality, welcoming staff. They are the main reason that I use, and recommend, this hotel.

    « Mediocre »

Foul-smelling room, appliances out of order (including a microwave that sparked when my two-year-old son turned the knob). Looks nice at first glance, but not a good experience at all. Upon checking out I let the person at the front desk know of these issues, and all she said was "Oh." UNBELIEVABLE! smh

« Best Western PLUS Towson, Md. »

We have family nearby so we always stay at this hotel. Very nice consistent and reliable service. Facility is clean, food is good and it's easily accessible. It is very convenient for all points of interest and destinations in and around Baltimore. Towson is a nice city with excellent shopping and restaurants. I highly recommend this hotel.

    « Better than I expected »

Spacious clean comfortable room. Yummy breakfast. Lobby was nice too. I would stay here again. It was located right off the highway which was convenient for us. Room had a nice king size bed and couch that pulled out into a bed, frig, microwave and huge tv.

    « Poor customer service »

Long story long. For five years I have stayed at the Best Western hotel in Towson, MD as it is close to my son and daughter-in-law's house. For the first three years or so I was there about every month, lately less but I still go often enough so that some of the folks at the desk know me. For Thanksgiving my sister was coming to Baltimore so I made reservations there for two nights for me and five nights for my sister and brother-in-law. We arrive the night before Thanksgiving to be told they have no reservation for me. Now I know I made one but can't look up the confirmation number right then. They have a room for us both for Wed but we have to check out Thanksgiving and go someplace else. My sister got there first and put both rooms on her credit card. My daughter-in-law finds a Sheraton nearby and we get rooms there for the rest of the time. On the Friday after Thanksgiving I discover that this Best Western has charged my debit card over $900. Sat morning I call and am told that the reservation was under the name of Lord and they are charging me for those rooms all those nights. I tell her that is not at all acceptable and she tells me she will leave a note for the manager who will call me Monday. No call Monday so I call on Tuesday. I speak to the sales manager who has trouble wrapping her mind around my story, asking me why I didn't call and cancel the reservation. I finally convince her that I wanted the reservation, they were the ones who screwed up and couldn't find it. Next day the $900 charges are gone but I have two charges for $113 for the first two nights of the reservation I made that they mis-filed. They can have my $226 but it will cost them so much more in the long run. I will never stay there again so they lose a regular customer. I have discovered the Sheraton in Towson that is very much nicer and costs less. I will make sure to steer everyone I can away from that Best Western. I will tell anyone who will listen that Best Western corporate headquarters has NOTHING to say about charges, billing, refunds. All of that is done at the local level with the corporate people having no control at all. I am done with Best Western unless I have absolutely no choice but I'd sleep on a bench before I would go back to the one in Towson.

    « Nice Place, But..... »

The facility is nice, but it isn't being managed well. We had no glasses the second day, and the third day the room wasn't cleaned (and we didn't get glasses). The toilet stopped up, which was promptly handled, although we shouldn't have to clean up the water spilled in unclogging the toilet. The air conditioner cover fell off the unit, with a bang. It was fixed the next day, but I had to re-secure it the last night. Breakfast is great, front desk is good at their job and apologizing for the other shortcomings.

« Good to have an indoor pool »

Room service coordination between the person on the phone and service team is very weak. Had to call at least 4 times to get the towels to room which took about 30 mins. It is good to have an indoor pool instead of an outdoor one which would be closed most of the year.

    « Customer Service 4 stars »

We've stayed at the Best Western in Towson, MD quite a few times in the last few years since our daughter started Towson University 3+ years ago. The hotel is very clean, and very nice! The staff is terrific!! We have had a few minor issues but they have all been taken care of right away and never anything that was a big deal. The staff is really great!!

    « Nice atmosphere »

The hotel was clean and comfortable, the lobby was attractive and nice to hang out in. the staff were great. The breakfast was mediocre but plentiful. The warm cookies in the lobby after a long day are pretty nice. The coffee and tea available at all hours is nice. The internet service was great plus computer work stations in the lobby. Staff at the desk were excellent in helping with direction and local services.

« Our First College Visit »

I find Best Western to be a very good hotel---excellent in their service, very good value on any budget, very good sleep quality, very good with cleanliness, and great location for colleges in the area. The rooms are the perfect size, not too small & not too large. I like having the option of a suite should the need arise for a larger group. I also like their Rewards Program & have already scheduled my second visit :)

« Convenient location with nice sized rooms »

We stayed the night before Towson's open house. It's an easy 10 min ride from main campus. The room we had was a suite with 2 queen beds. The hotel is a little aged but clean. The free breakfast was a nice way to start the day.

    « had a good experience.but..... »

staff and internet was great. my room was comfy. need is non pork items on the buffet menu. the food was good for what they offered. close to beltway so i can to the inner harbor. the bed was soft and relaxing. like the big screen and the microwave and frig.

« Diamond in the Rough »

While the location was wonderful and the staff of this facility were pleasant and helpful, the building is in DIRE need of a renovation. The hallways had a funky smell, the hallway and room had multiple carpet stains and chipped paint all over. Overall, it was clean, however the mattress cover in the sleep sofa was beyond dirty - surprised anyone would fold up sofa with so much food crumbs, rice and dirt ! King size mattress was in major need of an replacement. We left our room at 10am and when we returned at 3:30 our room had not been cleaned. Since we were only there for 2 nights it wasn't the end of the world. If there is an event in the hotel, parking is impossible. Was disappointed when we returned to our hotel at 10pm after a long day that we had to circle the lot 3 or 4 times to find someone pulling out. Unfortunately, too much competition out there, will probably not return. Should have been much better. Substandard for BW Plus property.

The desk clerk was very informative and polite. Very welcoming since I had checked out of the Radison due to horrible experience and conditions. The hotel went above and beyond to find me a room when I called very early in the morning to locate a new hotel. I was in the area for a NP workshop spending almost 10 hours in class. The best day was after finally receiving a good nights sleep in your hotel. A GREAT big thanks to the hotel staff especially the desk clerks that provided my check in and out service. They were awesome.

« Tired and shabby but advertised as a "boutique hotel"! »

As soon as we entered our room we were greeted by a large industrial style fan on the carpet floor, smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom and another unidentified nauseating smell throughout the room. We requested to be moved to a different room that was fortunately odorless, but had a broken toilet flush and an unhinged door of the closet. We called the front desk for assistance and nobody showed up. The carpet was dirty throughout (rooms and hallways). The entry doors of the rooms are thin and the noise from the other rooms was significant. Would not return nor recommend.

« Not what we expected »

The pictures on the website did not reflect the room we were given. I am assuming we were put in an unrenovated room. We were only there for 1 night and requested a late checkout which was honored by the front desk staff. Only issue was the next day housekeeping knocked on our door every hour on the hour starting at 9am until the minute we left at 12:30pm. While I was showering I guess they knocked on the door and I didnt answer so when I got out the shower a houseman was actually trying to get into my room. Thank goodness your locks work or it would have been an uncomfortable situation! Would not return even for just a one night stay.

    « A good place to stay »

I went to Baltimore for a funeral and this hotel was conveniently located to the Towson area and 675, making it easy for me with all of the activities The front desk staff were friendly and I really liked that they emailed me a copy of my receipt. Not only was the hotel neat and clean but they also provided a daily complimentary breakfast. The rooms were clean and the bathrooms had been updated. However, I think its time for a furniture upgrade as the furniture was outdated and worn which is why I gave it a 3 instead of a 4.

    « In a pinch »

I had a last minute business trip come up and my usual hotel was booked. This Best Western was the only one available for a reasonable price. I'd say this was a typical Best Western, nothing extraordinary, but overall decent stay. The breakfast was the first one I'd seen with make your own pancakes (granted they're not the greatest) and waffles.

« Nice hotel - dirty sheets and towels »

Overall the hotel was nice, however, one of the beds had dirt on the sheets and in the end, we had to change them ourselves. In the morning, found 1 of the 3 bath towels was damp/wet. They gave us a lower rate at checkout, however, would have preferred clean sheets and towels.

I have stayed at this particular Best Western about seven times in the past year. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff has always been pleasant. We made a reservation 7 weeks in advance for family weekend. At the time, we were only able to reserve a room for 1 night. I held out until the week before to see if there was a room available for the next night and there was! The only problem was that it was for two, not three. We were able to be accommodated with a sleeper sofa. We were then switched to another room because the toilet broke. Were were put in the same type of room, just on a different floor. My only complaint is the coffee in the morning.

« Needed a quick place to stay during power outage »

Room was pretty clean night staff was great. Morning staff left something to be desired, maid was rude. Great for the price on and for a last min stay. Be warned the free breakfast was not available. Kept checking and waiting and never happened. All the free coffee you want! Burned the WiFi up, got some much needed business done.

    « BED BUGS »

All was going well until I was ready to check out. As I packed my bag, I saw a large bed beg on the duvet of the bed. As I reported this to the staff at my check out, they did not seem surprised and just gave me a $25 discount. There was no mention of the hotel volunteering to do anything about removing the bed bugs. Having to keep my suitcase in a trash bag for the remainder of my trip and spending over 3 hours cleaning and steaming all of my luggage has been extremely inconvenient. Beware of this hotel and don't stay here.

    « Great deal ! »

We recently stayed here for two days while attending a wedding in the area. We had the King suite and it was great. Room size was very good, amenities good. The free breakfast was outstanding ! Hot breakfast, eggs, sausage, pancakes, waffles, whatever.......much different than your normal hotel free breakfast fare of stale bagels and fruit with cold cereal ! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. Only draw back was some cosmetics with the tiles in the bathroom, and they have soap and shampoo dispensers in the shower. Kinda like the little bottles and normal bar soap.

« Friendly Staff ~ Great Location ~ Great Value »

I use this hotel often when I travel to Baltimore. The location is perfect to many tourist attractions, a nice Mall, the Inner Harbor and Camden Yards... Always a friendly staff on duty. Very nice free breakfast.. The rooms could use updating, but very clean.

« Some Good, Some Bad »

I just spent 10 days at the Best Western Plus just outside of Towson, MD for a family business trip. The hotel is adjacent to I-695 and is apparently a great stop off point for all sorts of travelers. Many business people here and many professional contractors that work in the area. Very close to Towson downtown - 10 minutes away. There is a Vietnamese restaurant there at night and a small bar that caters to sports clientele. The restaurant is used as a breakfast buffet site in the morning Discounts can be found on Hotwire - I paid around $100 per night after the discounts. So, this is a very busy place - people coming and going at all hours. This is not a getaway location or a place to stay if you are spending any time in your hotel room. It is a noisy place with people coming and going. Rooms being cleaned constantly. Unfortunately during our stay a youth group was placed on our floor without any adult supervision. Teen age kids without supervision and time on their hands is not a good combination. Very loud and noisy. They spent an inordinate amount of time in the hallways wandering around. We made several calls to the front desk to get their adult mentors to take control of the situation. I think they were given several warnings but no real action was taken. Very unpleasant for several days. The other thing about the hotel was the room doors - hey had no mechanism in place to keep them from slamming unless you hand held the door and closed it yourself. Again extremely noisy and particularly unpleasant hearing a loud banging noise in the middle of the night.
