"Good choice"
Pixelpanderer, 10 Avril 2024

The property is right in the middle of town with ample parking. The room and bathroom were of good size and very clean. The bed and pillows were excellent. The breakfast was well-maintained and also clean. My room was very quiet and the wifi was problem-free.

"Clean and Restful"
imscrappin, 19 Février 2024

Some of the Best Western hotels we've stayed in recently have seemed a little tired. This Tonopah location was a pleasant surprise. The rooms were spacious, sparkling clean and comfortable. Front desk staff was personable and took time to acquaint me with features of the hotel, even though they were very busy with others checking in. Whenever I encountered other staff, they greeted me with a smile and hello. Breakfast had a nice offering of food choices and the coffee was tasty. The only thing I found lacking was a grassy space to walk our small dog, but at least they allowed pets!

"Good stop in between Vegas and Reno"
TrekkintheUS, 05 Janvier 2024

Hotel is on main highway but it wasn't busy at night. Hotel was clean. Typical hotel breakfast with a decent variety. There is no elevator to second floor in the main, front building. There is a local brewery with food just across the road.

"Clean, quiet rooms & wonderful Breakfast"
Kysanth, 27 Novembre 2023

This is our go-to hotel every year for the Thanksgiving weekend. Not only do they provide a free Thanksgiving dinner (just like Grandma's!), but their rooms are clean, quiet, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. The breakfast alone is worth the stay - wide variety of options pleases everyone. Food is hot, delicious, and quick. Highly recommend them when visiting Tonopah.

"Excellent Service and Location"
Barbara1057, 16 Novembre 2023

The Best Western in Tonopah is well-located and provided excellent customer service. The room was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the complimentary breakfast that was provided, which offered a variety of choices and excellent quality.

"Good choice"
Travel806028, 18 Septembre 2023

We had a good-sized, well lit room with two comfortable chairs, a microwave, and a large mini-fridge with freezer (which we discovered in the morning did not work!). The bed was comfortable. The tiny bathroom was well lit and had plenty of counter space. The shower head was good, but the fan was useless. There was also a second sink and mirror outside of the bathroom. The outdoor pool and hot tub were nice, but they were right next to the noisy highway. We had a better-than-average breakfast with cooked oatmeal, hot items, and a pancake machine. We had a good BBQ dinner at the Tonopah Brewing Company across the street.

"Always stay here when I'm in town"
K9172KBkarens, 18 Septembre 2023

This hotel is very comfortable, clean and the staff is great. Breakfast has a lot of selections and the rooms are nice. The bed and pillows are comfortable and the room is clean and roomy. I roomed with two others and we had a very comfortable roll away for the 3rd quest. Wasn't too cramped with 3 in the room.

"Friends trip"
Nancy E, 07 Septembre 2023

this property was clean and the staff very helpful, location easy to find and the room was laid out perfectly, I would recommend it to any one and the BBQ restaurant across the street was delicious, and yummy cookies

"Week day stay"
jt242023, 11 Août 2023

I think they are overpriced for a week day stay. Especially in a small town such as Tonopah. Everything was clean. Pool was great. Staff was helpful when we needed extra towels. Breakfast had a nice variety of food. Clean facility.

"Good resting spot!"
doc2r3d, 02 Août 2023

Everyone was very nice, the room was clean and had everything I needed. The breakfast was good, with a good variety of items to choice from. The only thing that could be better, would be to install an elevator for the second floor. Going up the stairs with all your luggage, isn't very fun.

"Liked it so much we booked it again on our return home."
techies, 22 Juillet 2023

Excellent hotel! May be a bit older but exceptionally maintained! Bed was very comfortable and my favorite thing was the wall mount thermostat. It is so much easy to control the temperature of a room with one. Loved having 2 bathroom vanities. Breakfast was better than most and the desk clerks were very friendly and helpful. She was honest about her recommendations for dining and we took a chance on the barbecue place across the street hit the jackpot with it. We went early and within 30 minutes they were full so we lucked out getting good service. I want to thank the hotel for recognizing that we are Diamond Elite. Not all do. We were booked at another hotel in another city but liked this one so much that we chose to travel farther and rebook here for the trip home.

"Decent but exorbitant in price"
aliciaj723, 26 Juin 2023

The hotel is very clean and the breakfast is great. The beds are also very comfy. Be aware if you do stay in the annex area on the 2nd floor near the stairwell there is a very loud ice maker that keeps you up all night. Second thing is that the prices at this hotel are exorbitant and not commiserate with the star rating, location and competitor rates. The Belvada is a great, historical hotel with rates half of Best Western. I am disappointed as a Diamond Member that we do not receive a deeper discount as a business traveler.

"QR Code"
lisaalvarez89, 18 Juin 2023

The rooms we clean with refrigerator and microwave. I only stayed one night with my dogs as I was passing through town. I loved the QR code from housekeeping. It allows you to leave a tip without leaving cash. It is a best western app not a personal QR code from a random person.

"Comfy beds and a very clean room!"
mrsbeck2, 22 Mai 2023

The room was perfect for our family of four. Nice beds, clean sheets, dark drapes for the windows, charger access, a fridge, plenty of towels, cold AC, and plenty of room made our stay perfect for our trip!

"Another night on the road"
djohnskee, 21 Mai 2023

Long journey to visit friends . Glad to find a place to sleep before I fell asleep at the wheel . 1000's of miles from home and I saw a familiar sign on the highway and was greeted cordially . Set my alarm and had a very nice breakfast before getting back on the road

"Excellent Facility @ Competitive Price"
cs29411, 16 Mai 2023

This facility is clean, friendly staff, excellent breakfast (many hot and cold items to select from, safe parking lot that is very well lighted. Loved the cookies and coffee available upon check-in. Loved that breakfast was available at 5:30 AM in oder for us to get an early start to our next destination.

"Traveling through middle Nevada"
Orcacorn, 06 Février 2023

There are few options when traveling through the middle of Nevada, but when you hit Tonopah and you've been driving all day, it was nice to have a clean, quiet room. There are a number of restaurants and I like walking downtown with my pup and I've stayed in this hotel several times because it's consistently clean and quiet.

"Nicest place to stay in Tonopah"
lucerolivinlife, 20 Janvier 2023

Great place to stay staff is friendly. Gym is a nice extra. Close to food and store and restaurants. The hot fresh cookies every day are an added bonus. I would recommend staying here to any friends and family passing through the area.

"Best Western Hi-Desert Inn"
pamnjoey7, 09 Janvier 2023

This is a great hotel. It is always so clean and the employees are always so friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Every time I go through Tonopah, I always stay there. They are very accommodating. I always have my dog and they are pet friendly too.

"Dirty lobby and price gouging"
aliciaj723, 03 Décembre 2022

I am a Diamond Select member and I travel a lot for work. I was surprised that this place had their rates as high as my last stay in a Las Vegas 4 star resort! If management is going to ask a rate as high as $200 a night on a weeknight, they need to offer amenities such as stores, restaurants, resort style pools and spas. Not to mention the lobby was filthy. There was mud all over the lobby floor and the chair in my room was covered in grime. MGMT needs to deep clean the upholstery. I had to put a towel over it to sit down on it. Same with the office chair. Please clean.

"Clean and Excellent Service"
Barbara1057, 18 Novembre 2022

We stayed at the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn for one night. Everything about our stay was top notch. The room was extremely clean, the customer service was excellent, and the breakfast in the morning offered a variety of options. I would highly recommend this place.

"Very disappointed this time"
Carol C, 26 Septembre 2022

We have stayed here at least five times on our drive from Portland to Phoenix. It's usually a pretty good stay, but this time it was not. The exception was the hot breakfast, which was really nice. The breakfast area was clean, the staff excellent and the options plentiful. Our room was the big disappointment. Barely enough towels, terrible pillows, ants all over one of the nightstands and a very crinkly-sounding loud bed. They must have the mattress covered with something. The sheets were either the wrong size or put on wrong. It was a terribly made bed. I think we'll have to go back to driving the I-5 route even though the Nevada route is much more scenic. And we paid the highest rate we've ever had to pay, over $200 for a King non-smoking room.

"Very nice stay!"
rodneyl64, 07 Septembre 2022

We had a change of travel plans at the last minute so I searched using my phone for hotels in Tonopah. The Best Western Hi-Desert Inn looked nice plus mentioned hot breakfast, a pool and hot tub. The facility as a whole was much better than expected, from the room to the pool. The hot breakfast was really nice with a good selection, great coffee, and good food. There is a very nice Craft Brew Pub just feet across the street from the hotel with great cold adult beverages and very good food.

"Cancelled our booking."
Amilnsey, 17 Août 2022

Despite having booked weeks in advance. Our party of 13 were told that the rooms had been cancelled ‘by best western' the morning of our arrival. Thank goodness for the comfort inn who were able to accommodate us (and were excellent). I will avoid Best Western in the future.

"Very Nice Hotel on the main highway, close to food and drinks"
AZ85603, 28 Juillet 2022

Very Nice Hotel on the main highway, close to food and drinks. Having breakfast included was a BIG plus. Rooms were clean and comfy. The rooms off the main street were quiet. I would stay here again next time in Tonopah.

"Excellent, Secure and Safe"
Freedom26585701086, 06 Juin 2022

This Best Western Motel in Tonopah was a surprise and true delight for us traveling Hwy 95 through Nevada. It is THE BEST Best Western we have encountered yet! The facilities were immaculately clean, rooms were modernized and roomy, the staff very friendly, a better-than-usual motel breakfast was offered, and fresh baked, delicious cookies were provided in the afternoon and evening. (The lady who provided the breakfast on our stay was lovely and very helpful.) Plus, all the room entrances are in the interior. We would stay definitely stay here again while traveling through the Nevada desert!

"Worsest front desc service"
441arturask, 05 Mai 2022

There are no any support by vouchers seems people sees first time kind of vouchers from tour companies. Had to pay twice for same accommodation. They even not tried to reach operator by emergency number to find out paid accommodation or not. Awful service. Just terrible. First time I see like that. Not recommended for travellers from Europe to travel with vouchers.

"A Night Paid For But Not Spent"
mbhehn, 23 Avril 2022

This was clearly not a Best Western standard place. The staff was unfriendly, failed to recognize me as a solid Best Western patron. Failed to assist me in.moving from a disruptive environment and upon checking out (after having been there for less than 90 minutes) refused to make accommodations or refund my charges.

"Don't trust this hotel"
SadEyedJoe, 15 Avril 2022

I left the hang tag on the door requesting privacy while I went for a walk. When I came back they were standing in the doorway and my room had been "cleaned" and my things that I hadn't already put in the car were removed. I was absolutely furious as I paid for the room expecting privacy until i checked out, instead they took my stuff and acted like I was in the wrong. Employees did not wear name tags and in retrospect I started wondering if this hotel was excepting homeless vouchers and there were just random people going into rooms. They were incredibly cavalier and not at all empathetic or apolegetic (except for the canned email reponse to my review) about the incident saying things like it happens all the time. Even breakfast was weird as an unaccompanied kid didn't know to use a plate and heaped eggs on the serving tray. The orange juice was mucho watered down and I had to wonder why. Did they run out of frozen orange juice? I was left with an overall feeling that there was something weird going on behind the scenes. I would never recommend this hotel and will absolutely avoid this hotel brand in the future.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Miranda H, 09 Avril 2022

Weren't sure what to expect with a small town hotel, but we were pleasantly surprised. Caring staff, comfortable room, and fresh cookies! Highly recommend! Four stars is due to the high price which may be high due to being a small town.

"Clean spacious room with comfortable beds"
artisttabithab, 04 Avril 2022

Clean. Thank God. Hard to find a clean hotel these days it seems. Beds were comfortable too. Very spacious room. Pet friendly. Breakfast was a full hot breakfast. Lots to choose from. Rooms seemed a bit high at 206 for a Sunday night (after all taxes and fees)...but I'd rather pay a few dollars more for this. It was worth it. I forgot to take a picture but rooms look exactly like website photos.

"The Best ever"
EricC2853, 02 Avril 2022

I have been in other options on my trips to Okla. and this is the best.! No doubts about it.! TV, Fridge, Microwave, AC, heater. PLUS...fresh, delicious (and similar style of Denny's breakfast.) AWESOME..!! What else would you ask, you have everything together.

"Bad accommodations for pets"
Karen M, 19 Mars 2022

Area for pets is about 100 feet from property - not convenient for pets or owners. If BW is going to allow pets, there should be a closer area for them to go to the bathroom. Plus, itsxa very small area.

"Terrible overpriced room in the annex"
rkpreston, 23 Février 2022

The room was not connected to the hotel and you couldn't get a cart to the annex. The first floor of the annex is below ground and it felt like we were in a basement. No ice or other services available in the annex. The price should have been reduced for annex rooms.

"nice stop for the night"
dietcoke22, 18 Février 2022

We choose to stop here on a long road trip to Las Vegas. We had stayed in the area before and decided to stop again. The staff was very friendly and the hotel was clean. We were on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator, that would be the only draw back for some people. Breakfast was great. Nice variety of food. Across the street is a brew pub that we ate dinner at that we had dinner at.

"The kitchen, housekeeping & front desk staff were sincerely helpful & friendly."
cindymV665EI, 06 Février 2022

I love the location..right along Rt 95 easy access. the room was very clean, beds cozy, great water pressure made for a wonderful shower! When you walk into the room you can slip the key card in a slot to control heat, air conditioning and lights, I never experienced that before so it was nice to be able to leave a light on so I didn't have to come into a dark room!

"Most comfortable beds ever"
wenjab, 04 Janvier 2022

We will stay here whenever we stay in Tonopah. The beds were so comfy. Nice big TV, very clean room (I check thoroughly, as I used to work in the hotel industry). Breakfast bar had bacon! Very friendly staff, and my dog got a treat too. In center of town, so very walkable to stores and eateries.

"Disapointment"
mikescarpa2010, 23 Décembre 2021

We stay at Best Westerns exclusively, the High Desert in Tonopah paled in comparison with all other Best Western experiences. First impression was I think the girl at the front desk was having a bad day, i had the feeling that my questions irratated her. Our room wasn't as reserved ( queen bed, not king). ok, no big deal but when i pulled back window curtains i was staring at a block wall that "completely" covered any view, so much that you wondered why even have a window. We checked in around four O"clock in the afternoon so those rooms must be for the early folks. We changed room but second room was half cleaned, bed was made but trash cans and bathrooms had not been touched, use soap and wash cloth hanging in shower. My fisrt was short and to the point, we were disapointed in this hotel but could not submit because to short. So their you go!

"A great place to stay in Tonopah!"
Vicki1953, 03 Décembre 2021

Check-in was quick, staff very pleasant, room clean and nicely decorated. A jewel in the desert! We were given a room on the back side from the highway and it was very quiet. Even our dog slept well and she doesn't normally when in a motel room. The only suggestion I made was for a choice of several different pillows. I always travel with my own but my husband ended up using a folded up towel.

"Clean and friendly"
Exploration222495, 25 Octobre 2021

Rooms are very clean and staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and they did serve a hot breakfast. There was an issue with the dog bathroom area is far away from the hotel. No grassy area for them to go.

"RELAX IN THE DESERT"
297mauricec, 24 Octobre 2021

A good stopping point when traveling from the Northwest to Arizona. Always clean and staff is quite friendly and accomodating. Price of the room seemed a bit high compared to recent stays and others in Tonopah.

"Highly and confidently recommended!"
Connector67956053255, 24 Octobre 2021

After a 7-weeks cross-country trip, the BW in Tonopah was our last hotel stay before getting home (CA). This was the 2nd year in a row that we are staying at this place and we were not disappointed! The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast offerings were superior to other places like Fairfield Inn (Marriott-Bonvoy chain). As a bonus, the ladies who attended the dining area and the kitchen were professional, friendly AND cheerful!

"Best Western and Tonopah, a Good Combination"
aWriter2011, 18 Octobre 2021

Friendly staff made check-in and check-out quick and easy. The motel has two separate buildings next to each other. Parking is good. Our next door neighbors had the TV loud enough for us to hear, but we screened out the sound by watching an MLB playoff game. By ten o'clock, their TV and ours were turned off. Best bed in the world. One of those mighty thick mattresses made our sleep better than we had at a Las Vegas casino.

"oasis in the desert"
keithhN2100NX, 13 Octobre 2021

Nice half way point between pheonix and oregon always freindly and fast check in. around 125 a night depending on your discount good parking, quiet. I have stayed a coup[e of times this year and glad to stop when i get there. They have breakfast but not sure if its good or not always out of there early but the breakfast area looks small. But if your tired in the middle of nowhere tonapah its the best option for 100 miles north or south

"Squeaky clean"
gary b, 13 Octobre 2021

I travel 100% of the time for business. This property is one of the cleanest I have stayed. The owners go above and beyond to make this property attractive and obviously hire quality personnel. I stay here whenever I am in the area.

"Best Western is the BEST!"
combatboots2021, 30 Septembre 2021

Best Western in Tonopah is clean and safe! It is located in the heart of the fun. Great rates for an exceptional stay! If you are looking for a clean, comfortable room, with ample amenities, Best Western in Tonopah, Nevada is the place for you

"Very nice for the price and pet friendly too!"
Elizabeth A, 20 Septembre 2021

Looks like this BW has been newly renovated. Even the caulking in the bathrooms was fresh and new. Free Breakfast was the usual BW fare - hot scrambled eggs and accompaniments. The room was nice - I would have placed the chair in the opposite corner. Sitting right in front of the A/C unit gets a little chilly! The bed was okay the first night, not so much the second night. I think it might have been too firm for me. A table with 2 chairs in the room would have been nice too. There was a comfy chair and foot rest, but the tiny end table in the corner was weird. Still, the place was really clean. Staff was polite and helpful, though their mask wearing was iffy - which is why I didn't rate this place as excellent. Signs everywhere saying "Wear a mask, masks required," but not many actually do so - staff and guests included. Location was great for what we wanted to do while we were in the area and the BBQ/Brewery across the street was pretty good too. Really appreciated that our pup stayed for free - but there was a $150 fine for leaving her there unattended, so we never left the property without her, which is our general practice anyway.

"Comfortable"
jamesmterrones, 06 Septembre 2021

This place has great standards, its clean, the staff are helpful, and it was comfortable. The breakfast room was new and nice. The walls are thick enough that it is private. I wish the parking lot was bigger but other than that this place is absolutely recommended.

"Pet friendly, clean, reasonably updated."
Funtimestravelin, 02 Septembre 2021

A nice overnight on the way North from Arizona. Well kept and run hotel in the small town of Tonopah, Nevada. Social distancing was observed in the lobby, masks were worn. My husband enjoyed the breakfast. It was quiet also. The only downside for me was the super soft bed. Lucky we had two beds because there's no way my husband and I could have slept in that bed together. If you like a soft bed the. This is the place for you.

"Great accomodations out in the middle of nowhere"
KLPhx, 29 Juillet 2021

Spacious, attractive room with modern, clean decor Excellent breakfast. Free cookies. Good coffee. All staff cheerful and helpful. This is a great place to stay if you are traveling through this arid area of Nevada between Las Vegas and Tahoe.

"Pet Friendly? Really?"
Don G, 28 Juillet 2021

Great place to stay - unless you are a pet. Room is great. Breakfast is good. But maybe needs to have a disclaimer about what they mean by pet friendly. We did the pre-registration about 24 hours in advance and let them know we have a dog. We get there and they put us on the 2nd floor. Do they not know that dogs need to be let out during the night and sometimes several times? Quality Inn knows this and makes sure that all pets are on the 1st floor. But not Best Western. Best Western does not even provide an area for the pets to relieve themselves. We had take our dog across the street/ally to find a place amongst the rocks for the dog to "go". How is this pet friendly? If you do not have a pet, then this place is great to stay at - but for those who need to include their pet - don't trust your luck on this place.

"The BEST Best Western"
labbab001, 17 Juillet 2021

Staff was helpful and courteous, went above and beyond my expectations. The premises was neat and clean, our room was clean and comfy. BEST BED! Breakfast was hot and filling. Had a wonderful stay, thank you.

"Unhappy trip happy stay at Best Western"
doradoolittle, 13 Juillet 2021

I had gone to hep my parents and ended up making final arrangements. The stay at best western on the way back home was wonderful and everyone their went above and beyond to make my stay as pleasant as possible.

"Excellent given property age"
Resque, 10 Juillet 2021

Location: Near town center. Within easy walking distance to restaurants. Property: The property is 40 -50 years old. There was a full renovation 10 years ago. The check-in area is a bit crowded. There is a small sitting lobby. It is two stories with no elevator. The outside pool and hot tub take up the front. The back parking has some nice trees and shrubs. Clean, flooring and rugs look new. Staff: The staff was professional and nice, offering a good explanation at check-in. Cookies available in the lobby. Price: The price for a king was $200. This feels a bit high. Room: The king room was a good size. Clean although there was e evidence of a dog pee spot. There were two sinks. The furniture is pine. There is a comfortable chair and the desk chair is good. The mattress is good quality. The mini-fridge has a freezer compartment. The TV cable does not have a TV guide showing upcoming programs. There was no pen or paper at the desk. Breakfast: Good selection. Well staffed. No separate meat dish, but the breakfast sandwiches had meat. Fitness: Well equipped. One recumbent bike, one stationary bike, treadmill, elliptical, dumbbells, universal machine, weight balls and bouncy ball and floor mats. Business Center: Two computers and one printer. computer screens face lobby so no privacy. Internet: Download speed poor at 1.19 Mbps.

"Not worth $178"
ishieglenn, 09 Juillet 2021

My room had paint on bathroom floor and toilet. There was lots of gnats in the room and the wifi sucked. To top it off when I checked in the manager on duty was rude and unprofessional. The hot water would constantly go cold hot cold hot. There was hair on the floor of the entire room. And the room had a strange smell. Not worth the $178! The continental breakfast was good the staff in the kitchen was friendly and so was the gentleman working front desk night shift. Other than that it was not a good stay.

"Great Place!"
Michael M, 08 Juillet 2021

Spent a few days to visit friends and family. The main reason we booked here was for the pool and being pet friendly. The complimentary breakfast was great! The staff was very helpful and the fact that they didn't charge extra for our dog was a plus!

"Best place in a small town"
Diana T, 06 Juillet 2021

It seemed Best Western is the only game in town. Other hotels seemed run down looking. This place is refreshed. Room was comfortable. Had a room in back building which is quieter! Everything was comfortable and clean

"Great Room"
Fishersan, 19 Juin 2021

Traveling through from Phoenix. Friendly staff, clean room, comfy bed!! Would have rated higher, but we were traveling with our cat and they require the cat in a carrier at all times and will charge $150 if cat is seen running around outside carrier in the room. Hot breakfast 6 to 9am . Made to order, with great choices in coffee. Note to Trip Advisor...... You need to allow a search for pet-friendly hotels your "preferences."

"Very poor ran establishment"
toosureone, 07 Juin 2021

Very poor customer service not helpful or friendly. They would rather argue with you instead of helping you I ask for my invoice they couldn't do that we went back and forth for 5 minutes when finally he takes my information down so he could send it to me. When checking in no one explained how the a/c worked so I had to call down for help. Just real poor customer service.

"Good experience. "
RollTideRollAZ, 05 Juin 2021

Stayed here for a night in June while traveling through Tonopah. Check in process was quick. Close to gas stations and restaurants. Clean room with refrigerator and microwave. Extra pillows in room. Quiet. Hot breakfast. Overall good experience.

"Big room. Friendly Staff."
traveling_with_kathy, 30 Mai 2021

Stayed at the BW over Memorial Day weekend as I explored nearby ghost towns. Located right on the main drag 6/95. All the staff was very friendly and attentive. My room was huge with a microwave and fridge. Shower/tub combo. Plenty of parking. If I find myself in Tonopah again, I would book at the BW. Note there is no elevator which could prove tricky for some travelers. If you need to stay on the 1st floor make sure to call in your request.

"Great 3 day weekend"
872daniell, 24 Mai 2021

Great service from the front desk to housekeeping. The staff for the breakfast were excellent and handled the service even under pressure. They kept the dining area open clean and provide excellent food. Rooms and lobby were spotless.

"May 2021"
apr0ulx, 11 Mai 2021

Relaxing and restful stay. The room was clean and well stocked of coffee, tea and towels. I however do not like the fact that this review has to be 200 characters in order to submit it into your social media.

"Definitely recommend the stay while in Tonopah"
Lynette51, 02 Mai 2021

We stayed recently for 1 night while exploring the town of Tonopah. Unfamiliar with the town I didn't know what to expect. But once you enter thru the lobby doors it's beautifully decorated inside. The clerk checking us in was very pleasant. All rooms are located inside the building. When we arrived around 3 pm the parking lot was pretty empty but by that evening it was full. Rooms were spotless with plenty of pillows & towels. Very quiet. And the best part is they serve homemade chocolate chip cookies and fresh coffee around 5. They were delicious! You can sit in the lobby area where they have chairs and a couch with the fireplace burning! . They even served a cook to order breakfast the next day! Check-out was a breeze as well.

"Excellent customer service and very clean rooms"
PamA1130, 29 Avril 2021

We stayed 3 nights at Hi Desert Best Western in Tonopah, NV. The rooms and beds were comfy and clean. Customer service was great. The hotel was within walking distance of places to eat and see. I would definitely stay here again if in the area.

"dog day"
dustyr0se98, 23 Avril 2021

Nice stay, but will find better services for animals next time. I think Nevada needs to change the statutes regarding animals in Hotels, if that was the problem. Other than that it was a nice clean place.

"THE BEST OF THE BEST"
SherriRhoads, 04 Avril 2021

Very nice place, clean and friendly! The staff were all very helpful and eager to make our stay enjoyable. Had never visited Tonopah Nevada before, nice old little town. Iv'e said about all I need to but Tripadvisor wants me to use 200 characters. A note to Tripadvisor, cut out the 200 character minimum please.

"Clean, Comfortable and Easy Parking"
jlg0116, 24 Mars 2021

We have stayed at the Hi Desert Inn a few times, it has been clean and comfortable. We appreciate that the Best Western group maintains high standards, but recognize these are trying times so we cannot fault the lack of amenities due to covid. They have done a good job compensating.

"Great stay"
happycus2mer666, 19 Mars 2021

The hotel was very clean. My room was exceptionally clean (I conciser myself quite the critic on cleanliness). All of the staff were friendly and courteous, the front desk at check-in/out and at the breakfast bar.

"Great Stay"
annieo89403, 16 Mars 2021

This hotel is immaculately clean. The bed was amazing. Did not want to get up and leave. Was of the best hot breakfasts I have had at a hotel in ages. The staff is very helpful and polite. Would recommend.

"Far exceeded our expectations"
137connie, 02 Mars 2021

It appears to be an older hotel which has been recently upgraded in a very nice and functional way. We were very pleasantly surprised. Everything was great in this hotel. When in the area we would definitely return to this hotel.

"Super Inn"
ruthandvern, 17 Février 2021

Dang, it's cold in the high desert. Fortunately the insides are cozy and comfy. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff were helpful and welcoming. Food just across the street. Just an overnighter.

"And, the best coffee in the world!"
mikephillips3907, 14 Février 2021

The Best Western High Desert Inn is a regular stopping place for me as I wonder through the remote areas of Nevada. I can always rely on the best nights sleep in a clean room with everything working properly. Breakfast is a nice touch, but the coffee... it is amazing! Some of the best morning blend I've ever tasted! Kudos to The Best Western High Desert Inn!

"Very comfortable clean room!"
doolittlesmiles, 06 Février 2021

I purposely drove to Tonopah NV to stay in their best Western because a friend of mine told me it was the best place to stay. I was pleasantly pleased as the room was very spacious, extremely clean (even the refrigerator was spotless) and it had everything I needed. The only downfall was the room had smelled like a smoker had been in there previously, other than that I would stay there again. All of the staff were very helpful and friendly as well.

"Friendly and Welcoming"
Pamela L, 03 Février 2021

I always stay at this Best Western when traveling from Las Vegas to Reno. I have always enjoyed the beautiful lobby and friendly staff. You can't beat the breakfast. But most of all, you can't beat the friendly, cheerful breakfast serving staff. You can't go wrong with the rest of your day after being greeted first thing in the morning by the breakfast server. She has a smile on her face and truly enjoys chatting it up with guests. I really appreciated her welcoming attitude

"Stinky carpet"
V1108TYjs, 21 Janvier 2021

All was good except for the carpet in the room. They need to pull it up. Smelled like animal urine. Glad to see a hot breakfast being served. Bed was pretty decent. Interesting town and people. I'd return if they gave us different floors.

"Great location"
Lesli S, 19 Janvier 2021

1#Bed-comfortable 2#Close to restaurants, pizza, brew pub, fancy dinning all with in a walk of hotel. 3# Great cookies pre wrapped at check in* the peanut butter cookies wee excellent.4# Breakfast was handled very professionally with happy staff attending to your wants and needs.#5 good coffee

"noisy"
whiterush13, 06 Janvier 2021

I could not sleep with semi-trucks roaring by all night. I have stayed here in the past, in a room on the back side of the property without experiencing a noise problem. The continental breakfast was good.

"Great room in a charming town."
jeffpsd, 04 Janvier 2021

I was just passing through, but I had a very nice stay the the Best Western on the way to Northern California. My stay was brief and I wish I had more time to explore the area; that will have to be my next time visiting.

"Don't waste your money"
Ann990985, 12 Décembre 2020

Needed a place to stay after a 10 hour drive. The hotel halls and rooms smelled like bad cologne. The beds felt like air mattresses, and the parking was just feet from shacks. We paid $140 for a dive.

"Great Hotel"
207Rama, 11 Décembre 2020

The Hi-Desert Inn of Tonopah, NV is clean, well maintained and staffed with people who made our stay a pleasure. Their recommendation for Dinner was within walking distance and was excellent. All contacted personnel were polite, professional and friendly.

"Great Hotel"
942jimmier, 09 Décembre 2020

I have stayed here several times and live this hotel. Friendly staff, clean rooms and good location. Even in the Covid days the staff does their best to make sure my stay was enjoyable. Clise to a couple of good eating places.

"comfortable, clean, has a small frig"
Cynde M, 29 Novembre 2020

We travel between Central Oregon and Arizona once or twice a year and Tonopah is about halfway. The rooms here are comfy and plenty roomy. The breakfast is a nice addition, included. There is a frig in the room so we can empty our cooler, refreeze our cooler packs and we're ready in the morning. It is across the street from the Tonopah Brewing Co which has great beers and good BBQ.

"Hot breakfast is back"
Greglena, 29 Novembre 2020

We stayed here overnight while returning home to California from a hiking trip to Utah. The room was clean, beds were comfortable, and we got a great night's sleep. The best part though was the hot breakfast. Due to Covid it was served to us by attendants. But we had the usual choices such as eggs, sausage, and waffles, as well as juices, coffee, etc. Much appreciated!

"The best place to stay in Tonopah!"
Beave8920, 23 Novembre 2020

We have stayed at most the hotels in Tonopah as we travel thru there several times a year, and while most of them are exceptable, this hotel has the best and most modern accommodations in town. Furthermore, they are dog friendly without a charge. We were greeted by a friendly young lady at the desk who had us checked in in 3 minutes. The room was clean and fresh, and they gave us a room on the ground floor near the rear door to accommodate our dog situation. Quiet stay and excellent hot breakfast (made to order during the covid situation). Located in the center of town (which is only a mile long!), they are within walking distance of almost everything if you wish. Includes free parking. Would recommend without hesitation.

"Repeat Customer"
grmaex5, 20 Novembre 2020

Highly recommend Best Western Hi-Desert Inn. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is always clean and the beds are extremely comfortable . Have an itch to play a few slots? Mizpah is a short walk up the street. Need some pizza? Home Town Pizza, across the street is the best in the State. After a busy day, stop in the lobby for a cup of tea or coffee and some great cookies!

"Stay was excellent! Highly recommend the Best Western in Tonopah, NV"
FarAway248580, 11 Novembre 2020

We stayed at the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn on Nov. 7th. We chose that hotel because they allowed pets and we have two small dogs. We were very surprised at the European feel of the Inn. We stayed close to the entrance and it was easy to take the dogs out for walks. In addition, the breakfast room was very close to us. We found the room to be excellent. It was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. Please note that your room key should be inserted into the device near the door in order to have electricity or heat in the room. This was not explained to us by the front desk clerk before we went to the room. However, she told us about it when we called to ask why we could not turn up the heat or use the lights. Having been to Europe, I was used to this type of situation over there but was definitely surprised to find it in a small American town. I was absotutely surprised to find breakfast being served the next morning in the breakfast room. Most hotels I have been to since COVID have shut down any food service. This hotel had a very extensive breakfast available to guests who were served by one person behind the counter. I had a breakfast sandwich, an orange juice and a coffee. I also took the same breakfast back to the room for my spouse. The breakfast hostess was very friendly and happy which made my day. It was very nice to have that type of service first thing in the morning. Parking was very convenient as we had a big truck with a car trailer attached. I would stay here again in a minute. I wish all hotels were like this one! Great experience for the money.

"Excellent Tonopah, NV hotel!"
JoAnne S, 11 Novembre 2020

I stop through Tonopah, NV at least twice a year. The Best Western Hi Desert Inn is always a welcome stay. The hotel is clean with excellent staff. They've done an excellent job offering the Breakfasts since covid kicked in. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Room is clean and comfortable. This hotel is also across the street from the Tonopah Brewing Company making dinner options very convenient

"Excellent stay"
Kathryn W, 08 Novembre 2020

We have stayed in this hotel three times now and have never been disappointed, even during the pandemic. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is very clean. Even during the pandemic we had a breakfast provided whether it was bagged or served,

"Great location, well maintained, Covid safe practices in place!"
Duke1140, 05 Novembre 2020

We stayed here while on a road trip. Tonopah is an interesting old town in an interesting way. This hotel is centrally located and easy to enter and exit. The rooms were nice and had been sanitized very well. The staff took the pandemic seriously- masks, sanitizer, plastic guards, etc. The stay included a breakfast and , unlike many , this place still provided a very nice meal. The buffet was not operational, but with social distancing in line the friendly staff told what they offered, got it for you one at a time. There were ample offerings, the food tasted very good and then you went to a cleaned and spaced table. We were very impressed and the kitchen staff deserve praise. The wall unit air conditioner did not have a fan only option for air movement which is my only complaint. I recommend this hotel when in Tonopah.

"Excellent value"
annabifano73, 31 Octobre 2020

Our stay on the way from Oregon to Arizona was excellent. Extremely clean room - comfortable beds and pillows. The express breakfast, given COVID was organized with many options. The Best Western team members were friendly and professional.

"Clean, standard/typical motel room"
Iownit, 16 Octobre 2020

I guess someone actually vacations in Tonopah, but my guess is that most, like me, are passing through to greener pastures. Trying to cover a lot of ground, I didn't arrive until about 9:30pm and the check in was easy, but the layout of the buildings which sprawl across the property was disorienting in the dark. Trying to figure out where to park was a bit of a challenge and which door to enter the interior halls in the dark was a bit of a challenge despite directions from the front desk. Breakfast was included but the couple of servers are behind plexiglass and fill your plate. They didn't have hot oatmeal, nor raisin bran so I didn't eat anything. Staff all had masks on but some of the guests were non compliant. This isn't really the motel's fault and they can only do so much about it without making a scene or losing a customer. I wish we could all get on the same page.

"Hi Desert Inn at Tonopah Nevada"
Delbert C, 26 Septembre 2020

We always plan to stay at the Hi-Desert Inn motel when we pass through Tonopah, Nevada because of the location and the fact that it is always consistently nice. We like clean neat places to stay and the Hi-Desert never disappoints. We have enjoyed the breakfasts in the past but the grab and go was ok as that is the present standard. Sincerely, Del Chausse, Paso Robles, California

"Great Stopover to Reno"
karen o, 19 Septembre 2020

We arrived early and they were very accommodating to let us check in. Room was clean and comfortable. We had the pool to ourselves. Overall a very nice place to stay. They recommended a restaurant for dinner which turned out to be some of the best food on the trip.

"Best service friendly"
CynthiaG1324, 07 Septembre 2020

Check in was quick and easy getting into the Room was easy the Room was great comfortable open cool and the new light key card who he was kind of Cool The pool was open yes physical distancing in the areas of the lobby were not taking place there was no lobby it was cordoned off Breakfast the next morning was the best breakfast and the friendliest staff I have ever run into they'd made your food and handed it to you physical distance I was in place in the breakfast Room staff wore masks and gloves when serving the waffles or even a sausage egg and cheese muffin I was very pleased I felt like I was in a very good breakfast restaurant

"nice clean comfortable rooms"
Lesli S, 05 Septembre 2020

I travel a lot for work. All I want is quite, clean room and a comfortable bed. This Hi-Desert inn provides that. I have stayed here a couple times a year for the last 3-4 years and have always been pleased!

"Quiet comfortable and clean"
breezybarr, 29 Août 2020

All I really want in a motel room for one night is a room that is Quiet comfortable and clean. If it's reasonably priced, then perfect. This place met all my expectations, but the cost was too high. I felt very safe, and the a/c was quiet (tho difficult to learn how to use), and exterior noise was minimal. Bed very comfortable also.

"Halfway point"
ettah2015, 25 Août 2020

I stayed over last night and felt an earlier review was incorrect with regard to Covid precautions. Of all the hotels I stayed in on a recent trip HiDesert BW Inn was superior in all areas. The inn was squeaky clean and staff was very cautious and thorough in their procedures. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend. They should be commended.

"Weren't following ANY Covid guidelines"
On_Da_Road1, 17 Août 2020

Person working in evening & person in the morning at the front desk did not wear a mask. The hand sanitizer when you came in the reception area was empty. Breakfast people did wear a mask to wait on you but otherwise put mask under their chin to talk each other & grab the food. Some cleaning staff had no masks, some had them under their chin & one actually wore it appropriately. There was safety info posted around the hotel but they didn't follow any of what they were saying. Obviously they were not interested in keeping guests safe.

"Cool off in the desert"
Robin F, 04 Août 2020

The hotel was clean, well appointed and Covid appropriate. The pool and hot tub was nice. Breakfast was fine and even being on the main road was not a problem. There was no noticable noice in our room.

"On the way to Yosemite"
LovestoTravel1973, 27 Juillet 2020

A little pricey for the room. Even though the hotel says they've up their cleaning because of covid, hoping that was true. Our room still had hair in the bathroom from the last guests. Breakfast was delicious and well prepared.

"Clean and modern..."
Richardlandrover, 27 Juillet 2020

It's the nicest, newest hotel on town. It is clean and has a pool amd good internet. The breakfast that is included is pretty good and makes the stay a really good value. Plus they take cats and dogs.

"Pleasurable stay"
tsmatthews11, 08 Juillet 2020

This was our 2nd time staying at the Hi-Desert Inn and 1st time with a dog. During this pandemic we were very pleased with the cleanliness of the room and safety measures in place. Our room was very clean and beds comfortable.

"Beautiful Room"
Robert N, 29 Juin 2020

this is a nice and quiet place to stay with a great place to eat across the street "Tonopah Brewing Company" The Staff was very friendly and had all our reservations ready when w came in and greeted us by name.

"An oasis in the middle of the desert!"
KristiA711, 27 Juin 2020

From check in until check out, this hotel is superb! Love the area for trailer parking! At check in staff was friendly and engaging as well as efficient! Room for family and four legged companion has all the amminities needed! Breakfast had hot tasty items, even during these social distancing times... absolutely amazing. Internet worked great as well as the microwave and fridge/freezer. Check out was a breeze! Very positive experience!

"Good, clean hotel - if a little old and pricey."
TwoWheels2009, 21 Mai 2020

This is a Best Western that meets standards. Employees are friendly and made me feel welcome. During the difficulties present during the COVID-19 crisis, I felt safe and reasonably free of danger. My room was exceptionally clean, there was a hand-sanitizing station at check-in, and a good effort was made to provide a varied "grab and go" breakfast menu.

"Tonapah Adventure"
sbforensics, 16 Mai 2020

My wife and I stayed at teh Tonapah Best Western recently and although there were social distancing restrictions in place the management and staff were prepared. They limited inconvenience and made us and other guests feel safe and comfortable. All though breakfast had to be grab and go, the selection of food itens was excellent and the staff at this location is amazing. They somehow made it all fun. There is a great beer and BBQ across the street and an excellent pizza place a couple blocks down. We would recommend the location to anyone staying in the area. To add a little more adversity, there was a large earthquake while we were there but staff still did not miss a beat. We had a great time here.

"Wonderful hotel"
Kathryn W, 16 Mai 2020

We stayed in this hotel twice in six months with our small dogs. The hotel is clean, well maintained, and the staff is great. They did a terrific job handling everyone's safety and health with the enhanced protections put in as a result of COVID-19.

"Excellent Value"
cs29411, 11 Mai 2020

This motel was an excellent place to stay. Clean, friendly, and quite. From the parking lot, to the lobby, to the room and in the room everything was well maintained and very cleanly. Excellent value - which included a 10% military discount.

"Terrible service"
Cubby7872, 15 Avril 2020

We asked for a extra blanket the lady at the front desk said no we don't have extra blankets no we don't have this or that all we heard was no every time a question was asked pretty poor would not stay hear again

"Quit and comfy"
Lesli S, 07 Avril 2020

Nice comfortable place to stay. We stay here every time we come thru. Rooms are clean. We felt safe even during the crazy corona virus threat. Never have had road noise. Good coffee. Nice place to eat with in walking distance.

"A little hard to find but worth it"
H4846RRmarye, 07 Avril 2020

We were heading out of Vegas and decided that we needed accommodations before it got too late. The GPS directed us to the Hi-Desert Inn, we never would have found it on our own and were skeptical of where the gps was taking us. But we persisted and found a lovely Best Westen right across from the train tracks! It's a hidden location but it was clean, new, the staff was lovely, it had a pool, hot tub (both were small but worked perfectly) and a gym. The breakfast was great, with lots of selection and the breakfast lady was so friendly and helpful. The front desk was welcoming and took good care of us. It's a great place to stay on your way out of Vegas, but make sure you've got good directions!

"Great stay"
c1r2a3i4g, 04 Avril 2020

Would definitely stay here again! The hotel was clean and well organized. The hotel staff were efficient, thoughtful, and kind. If I am in the area again I will be staying at the Best Western. I highly recommend this hotel.

"This was the BEST!"
mkemmw, 30 Mars 2020

During this corona virus, this motel offered the maximum cleanliness. Hand sanitizer at the front desk, wipe down of counter after each guest, & staff wearing gloves. The breakfast was more than adequate. Great people & great service. We'll always stay there when in Tonopah! No other Best Western came close to their service.

"Can I score it 6 out of 5 ? "
JanuszL778, 20 Février 2020

Well, on a road trip we randomly chose the Best Western Desert Inn on a booking website and did not expect much. When we arrived, wow, this hotel is so well run, it is clean, it is well equipped, and the breakfast was great and it was free - oh yes, the free coffee was some of the best I have had. The location is great too !

"Valentine's weekend"
E997IOdannyc, 18 Février 2020

This stay was a spur of the moment trip. The Best Western Hi-Desert Inn was very clean and the front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly assisting us with using points for this unplanned stay. Cookies and coffee were available in the lobby and the room was quiet and didn't have a noisy air conditioning system. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. If I'm going to stay in Tonopah again, this is where it will be.

"Learn about Tonopah"
confuesdt, 10 Février 2020

The staff are very helpful, the rooms are very clean and the cookies at night are the perfect way to end your day. Both building are very comfortable but breakfast is in main. So on 19 degree morning the walk is very cold

"A diamond in the rough"
mikeS7619, 07 Février 2020

In most cities this would be an average 2 star motel, but in a small town like Tonopah, this is more like a 3 star hotel. The breakfast selection changes each day, which is nice. The rooms are decent quality, fairly quiet overall but DO NOT get a first floor room if you want to sleep, because you will hear every step taken by someone if they are on the 2nd floor, since it is an older building. The parking is ok but can be tricky if the place is crowded. The free cookies in the lobby are a nice touch.

"Oasis in the Hi Desert"
Denise O, 04 Février 2020

If you are traveling on 95 in Nevada this a great place to layover for the night. Comfortable accomodations, great value, cookies and hot beverages in the evening. Fast food (Burger King & A&W nearby) Pizza across the street. Lots of options on Tv with Directv cable. In summer pool available. Also workout room. Great breakfast included.

"Nice hotel"
nautydogkennels, 01 Février 2020

The best western is right on Main Street with plenty of parking for cars, Rv's and semi trucks with trailers. Very clean hotel with great service. You walk in and the get greeted and the lobby is super clean. Hotel rooms are very clean and nice. Bath towels are soft and not hard and scratchy like most small hotels. This is important to me. Walking distance to a lot of places to eat and you get a discount at the tonopah brewery across the street. Their food, eats and craft beers are awesome, I rate this small rural town hotel with 9 thumbs up.

"Clean rooms, great Continental Breakfast."
Destination542781, 11 Janvier 2020

The room was clean, a bit older but everything worked. The Continental Breakfast was one of the best we've experienced at a Hotel, including other Best Western Hotels. We met Pam, the employee who ran the kitchen. Pam runs a very clean and well stocked kitchen. Pam is friendly and clearly hustles to keep her kitchen running.

"Nice Stop "
FABIO457, 08 Janvier 2020

Nice place for overnight stay from Las Vegas to South Lake Tahoe. Comfortable. Basic. Good breakfast. Historic village. Gym and pool available. Walking distance to restaurants. Near Death Valley Reserve.

"Great experience"
gwenskid, 28 Décembre 2019

Found this place after an exhausting day driving through a snowstorm. We were just grateful to find a room, but this turned out to be one of the nicest hotel experience we have had. Our room was clean, and we never heard fellow travellers noise. The breakfast was excellent. Omelettes and sausage and hash browns. Plus waffles, fruit, cereal, and pastries, and juices. We're happy to have found this Best Western.

"Don't Let the Town Fool You"
SunLifeFarm, 26 Décembre 2019

When driving through Tonopah, one would think I'm not staying here. But we did and we were SO glad we did. This hotel and staff rocked! And the local pizza shop, grocery store and even the gas station on way out of town were simply perfect. Takes a lot to impress me. This hotel ranks in my top five as they they treated us with genuine service. Hats off. Worth the stay.

"Best breakfast ever"
Emmaedwardsisahoney, 18 Décembre 2019

Pam and Joanna really looked after my family by providing the most delicious breakfast in America. We loved all the food selections and their friendly service. Thanks so much from our Australian family.

"An amazing breakfast!"
Amyhanalewis, 18 Décembre 2019

Big shoutout to Pam and Joanna who gave us such lovely breakfast service! We all left with happy tummies and big smiles! The food was absolutely delightful and my whole family was throughly impressed. Pam and Joanna's welcoming smiles were the perfect way to start the morning and definitely set us up for a fantastic day ahead. 10/10

"Not really clean, overpriced and no Best Western member benefits"
mapaklenk, 16 Décembre 2019

We stayed here because of the great reviews and want to counter with ours to save unwary travelers our experience. The rooms are extremely overpriced, parking too crowded, not as clean as expected and "locally owned", so no Best Western benefits included. No reason to stay here - try the Clown Hotel or new Comfort Suites

"HORRIBLE STAY"
ita7, 05 Décembre 2019

Strongly suggest you not stay here, Coming a long way from Oregon tired reservations made earlier to find we have to sign that you will not smoke, in the mean time it reeks of cigarette smoke in lobby in rooms. The first one assigned was too disgusting, moved us right next door, no better but no other options. You can have the free breakfast served with a horrible smell of cigarettes. NO WAY!

"Great find"
rhenadrury, 04 Décembre 2019

The staff was super nice. Rooms were clean with a great breakfast and good internet. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip through. The hotel is great though the parking can be a bit challenging for larger vehicles

"Best Western Tonopah NV"
mickeydm2, 26 Novembre 2019

Best Western is super in all respects at this location. I would use Best Western always but Best Western is not available in some of my travel areas Breakfast is fantastic, Fitness center is professional.

"Great Staff, friendly and clean"
roundoneintexas, 17 Novembre 2019

We had been traveling for 4 days. We stopped for the night, rooms were clean and staff was friendly. In the morning we stopped for the included breakfast. We have to say that this was the best breakfast selection we encountered. Great food everything was marked clearly, Betty and Pam were polite and busy making sure the guests requests were met, counter and serving area were clean. Both had great personalities, it was nice to see smiles in the morning. Would definitely recommend hotel and would return in the future .

"Hi Dessert Respite!"
ericleeb, 13 Novembre 2019

This was our 4th time to stay here. We are treated well and Amanda is such a pleasure at ck in. She greets you warmly, gets your reservation taken care of quickly and explains the amenities...including the nightly cookies!

"My stay at BW, Tonopah"
gsl349, 07 Novembre 2019

The experience was more than expected. The rooms were outstanding and comfortable. The personnel were all so helpful. I forgot my razor and the desk clerk gave me one. The cookies at night were terrific. Breakfast was great and got me on the continuation of my trip[. Seemed that the whole staff could not do enough to make me comfortable. Great experience.

"Surprisingly nice stay!"
TheWide-eyedTraveler, 06 Novembre 2019

Admittedly, Tonopah is one of those towns that is about half-way to anywhere...in the middle of nowhere! So, needless to say, the hotel choices were limited. So...we drove up to this place with our share of trepidation...not sure what we would find. We were pleasantly surprised. The room was nice...(for Tonopah!)... comfortable bed...nice shower. One suggestion...the room we had was an accessible one. There was an awkwardly placed hand rail by the toilet that made it impossible to sit straight on the seat. You had to sit "side saddle"...(lol). Other than that...the room was nice. Two thumbs up from us!!

"Clean...great breakfast"
robertaw983, 06 Novembre 2019

Nice place to stop each year on our way to Arizona each year. We stay coming and going...friendly and accommodating staff. Good location...felt safe leaving our pickup full of items needed for our Arizona stay.

"Comfortable room"
Kathryn1956, 02 Novembre 2019

Staff was great in working out an issue that arouse in our room, moving us quickly to another room. Rooms not so quiet, lots of contractors staying at the hotel so quite a bit of noise early in the morning, walls a bit thin! Definitely clean but thought the room on the high end for the area. Breakfast was good with lots of variety.

"Great place to stay"
apr0ulx, 01 Novembre 2019

I stayed here four days this month. The room was very nice and the bed was like sleeping on a cloud. I come here usually for three days a month and I have not had a bad experience yet. The breakfast surpasses any breakfast I have ever had as a free breakfast. I love the variety every day

"Great Breakfast, even better cookies"
Cowboysrule931, 28 Octobre 2019

Outstanding service and the best free breakfast i ever had. The free cookies in the lobby at night were scrumptious. Great stay at a bargain price. The receptionist in the lobby was very courteous and helpful.

"Modern comfort in a quaint town"
Lori M, 26 Octobre 2019

We have stayed at this Best Western numerous times. We have also stayed at a few of the other hotels is town but find that the BW offers a good value with the modern rooms, excellent breakfast and central location.

"Positive reviews MUST be main building stays. Because"

I got put in what they call the "Annex Building" which is another name for (basically) a mobile home. You know, the kinds that you find in mobile home parks where it's basically a manufactured home? That's what the Annex Building is. A glorified, oversized bungalow, basically, that has a bunch of rooms. This building is not connected to the main building; so you have to drive to get to it and you have to foot it to get breakfast (if you choose it. I just went to Burger King since I needed gas anyway). It was surprisingly quiet. It seems to be more a transitional hotel; people coming for the casinos or some of the local workers rather than travelers, from what I could tell. They were largely gone the next morning. You could hear things like doors and water, but it wasn't frequent. A bit loud, not frequent. They actually leave you pairs of earplugs because they know that the noise might bother some people. I might have lucked out, but it was way quieter than, say, the Fairfield I stayed at out in Green Bay when the brats showed up. Shower was INSTA-HOT. So they use tankless water heaters in the rooms, just FYI. This was a pleasant surprise. Temperature control is a bit weird. They tell you about this cool "put your card in this doodad and it will run your stuff" but that is only for the main building. The Annex Building has the old beater heater/cooler in the window like usual. And it's old, as you would expect. Some things were cool, like the wireless charging alarm clock. Although it's a very early model; estimated 4 hours to charge my Samsung when I could get it done in 2 using my own wireless charger. But nice to have if you happened to forget your portable charger, for example. I found three negatives. - The Annex Building. I get it. I do. But they need to figure out how to get this thing connected to the main building or something, I don't know. - Internet access was iffy at best. It wasn't 'bad', but it wasn't great. - STAFF. This is the big problem here. When I first arrived, nobody was there and I was standing around for 10 minutes at 10-ish PM. I called the phone they had out there for people, it rang for at least another minute before someone answered, then more waiting. Ridiculous. In the morning when I checked out, again, nobody there, standing around for 10 minutes. They refuse to have someone remain in the front for guests. It's annoying. And when they did come out, they were flat out rude and unapologetic.

"Excellent stay!"

My stay at Best Western in Tonopah Nevada was great. It is very easy to stay here which is important in business. Good parking, comfortable room and setting. compared to the other hotels I have used in Tonopah, this is by far the best for what I needed. I will stay there when in Tonopah

"Horrible stay for 2 seniors and our chi"
shariannl64, 22 Octobre 2019

We are very upset with our stay here. We are seniors and our room was on the 2nd floor. There is no elevator. Since we stayed for 3 nights, you'd think we could have a ground floor. If we stay here again, we'll have to remember to request that. We brought 2 coolers, 2 suitcases, 2 containers of food, paper plates etc. Needed for traveling. My 71 year old husband made about 6 trips up a lot of stairs. The girl at the front desk said someone would help him but they never did. I had to stay in the room and watch the dog so I couldn't help. The next worst part of the stay was the location of the room right next to the highway so impossible to sleep. One lady from Best Western asked how I was. I said I need some sleep because of the traffic noise. She said weren't earplugs provided. What a joke!! Earplugs don't stop the room/bed from shaking as the semis drive by. Grrrr yes I'm angry!!

Six years ago, I reviewed this hotel, and gave it a five. Today, I see no reason to change that, unless there is a secret way to give it a 6. In the time that has passed, it appears the the place has been very seriously remodeled. At least as far as we can tell, it's brighter and in general nicer than then. Everything in the room is in excellent condition, and comfortable.

"Tonopah stay-over"
Paul C, 17 Octobre 2019

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in Tonopah, NV while on our way home from seeing the Grand Canyon. The facility was very nice. Check-in was handled easily, and the desk clerk was helpful in recommending a couple of local restaurants in town. The beds were extremely comfortable; This was a definite plus after a long drive from Las Vegas. The breakfast served had a very good variety of items, both hot and cold, and the attendant made sure that it remained well-stocked at all times. This was a great finish to a very fun trip.

"Great escape"
kllindberg1, 15 Octobre 2019

Best Western in Tonopah is a hidden Gem. Great location to walk up and down the streets to local establishments to eat and drink. I would highly recommend this place to stay. Book early as it fills up quick.

"Visit Tonopah Nevada!"
KJonGood, 13 Octobre 2019

The Best Western in Tonopah Nevada is the best place to stay in town. Clean comfortable rooms, a great staff, and the breakfast is really good! The town of Tonopah is a great place to stay and immerse yourself in old West and gold Rush mining history. There are several ghost towns you can travel to and museums and historical points of interest in the town as well. And if you are a stargazer, Tonopah is world renowned for it's dark star filled night skies.

"Very pleasant stay"
MutantV8, 11 Octobre 2019

We arrived here very late after leaving Yosemite and driving the Tioga Pass. The staff were very nice and efficient. We were a family of 5 in 2 rooms and had a very enjoyable nights sleep. If only we'd arrived earlier to use the pool. Had a walk around Tonopah and checked out the inside architecture of the Mizpah. Very nice place to stay.

"Outside looks old but rooms and lobby seem updated"
Tracy_Lynn1021, 07 Octobre 2019

When we first pulled up to the Best Western I was a little nervous of what to expect as the outside of the hotel / motel seems a little old and worn however once you enter the lobby you see that the inside has been updated and is in line with most of the other Best Westerns.

"First Time Here"
Mike H, 03 Octobre 2019

We had never been in Tonopah before and since we do a lot of stays at the BWs we picked this one. It is a nice hotel with a great staff. The rooms were clean and fresh. Breakfast was good and held us until Vegas.

"Clean and good breakfast."
Molly H, 03 Octobre 2019

The best western is always clean, they have a good breakfast and the staff is great! I got a snack pack with water on check in, which was a nice bonus . Its a nice place to stay while working. They are always accommodating.

"A great place to be in Tonopah"
abriesemeister, 03 Octobre 2019

We stayed at the Hi_Desert Inn for one night on the way through Tonopah. We loved the staff and the room. The people working the desk made sure we were satisfied with our rooms and took time to help us find a place for dinner though they were quite busy with check ins as the evening moved on. We were traveling in a group of three couples and the night at the Hi-Desert Inn was a great experience for us all.

"Nevada Luxury"
WildWest1434, 30 Septembre 2019

Super 2 level motor inn with the best hotel beds! Front Desk helpful, cute lobby with free cookies and coffee/tea. Of special note is the morning breakfast room (included in room rate). Betty and Pam provided a really good spread!! Superior!

"Nothing to write home about"
Mullendoktor, 29 Septembre 2019

People mentioned to us, that Tonopah was a half-way point to Reno and that the world-famous Clown Motel was there. Well... in order to parcel our drive up, we did stop for the night in Tonopah and stayed in the BW, since it had great ratings... pure luxury or Luxus-pur on a German site. Well... I really wouldn't go that far. The Person at the counter was professional, in a stand-offish sort of way. We were given the keys and told that there is a breakfast room. Not much beyond that. The parking was at least free. Right on the main road passing in front of the hotel, the small swimming pool and whirlpool are almost directly road-side and not even a plant protects them from view. Well if you want to flaunt what you've got... this is the place. Across the street is the tsp room of the Brewery, so you don't have to buy a frozen mini-pizza for the microwave in the room. The beds were clean and the air-conditioning noticeably reduced the humidity in the room and stayed the heat. The temperature on the thermostat had no real bearing on reality. The refrigerator in the room was basically a verticle ice-box without ice. I don't want to bash anybody and I realize they are out in the middle of the desert, but the nicest thing about the hotel was the sweet older lady in the kitchen at breakfast. She was really very congenial and visibly enjoyed attending to customers. Not something you find at the front desk. The breakfast included simple omeletts, bagels toast or English muffins, apples and oranges, seasoned potatoes and sausages, self-baked waffles (iron and batter), skim and 2% milk, orange juice and apple juice and various blends of coffee. Jellies, butter, flavored coffee-creams, margarine and honey were available. Take-away coffee cups for the road were there too. A simple, average breakfast in an average hotel. It was clean. No luxury, but if you have to spend the night in Tonopah, you could do worse. I would try the Mizpah another time, but don't plan on returning

"Unplanned Stay was a Winner!"
jcc7474, 17 Septembre 2019

We called the same day to find a pet friendly room in Tonopoh, NV and were not disappointed by this property. Friendly staff(especially Pam who manages the kitchen and David who was working cleaning up the parking lot and asked if he could help me load my truck). Our room was spacious and we had plenty of room for our two medium sized dogs. Breakfast was good with many choices and they had nice large ceramic mugs for coffee. Property was clean and we would stay there again if we get back to Tonopoh .

"Should be rated as a PLUS....."
Dallas D, 14 Septembre 2019

What an excellent well run place. I would stay here again and again,,,,The coffee was hot and the breakfast was well tended. Hot cookies were ready after 5pm and they were so good. For a fun photo shoot you can run down to the clown motel.

"Nice place to stay on way to Death Valley"
Scott S, 11 Septembre 2019

The Hotel was a welcoming sight after travelling from Ely. Breakfast was great and staff in the breakfast room were friendly. Real tea/coffee cups to start the day was a nice touch! Plenty of free parking and wi fi connected easily. Easy 5 - 10 minute walk to eating places for those on budget. . The Mining Park is a short drive from the back of the hotel.

"Clean & safe with clueless staff"
gcfoodie, 08 Septembre 2019

Clean, safe, modern facility that certainly works if you need to pass the night in Tonopah. Has a fitness center and pool and serves free chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. The rooms did smell as if they'd been smoked in and covered up with too much air freshener, and it initially appeared that the bill exceeded what we were supposed to pay through Hotels.com. While these are small issues, NO ONE working there had the ability or, honestly, the willingness to help us sort any of this out. They all had a very superficial but clueless pleasantness that faded to a blank coma when asked to work out a problem. All claimed powerlessness and clearly wanted us to just accept it and walk away--which we did. While staff is not their strong point, this is a decent hotel and we would return.

"Clean, Comfortable Place in the Nevada High Desert"
Lyle P, 06 Septembre 2019

My usual stopping place when I drive through central Nevada is the old mining town of Tonopah, and my default place to stay is the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn. On the surface this is just another nondescript roadside motel. But what makes this special and earns my 5 star rating is the attention to detail which the management consistently makes. In general the rooms are also standard, but they are very clean and include a few niceties which is absent from most other places. It is a small detail, but for example, they offer actual ceramic mugs for drinking hot beverages in the rooms, the welcoming center by the front desk, and in the breakfast room. Once I used their 2 room suite, and found it to be particularly well furnished. The breakfast has above average variety and quality and the breakfast room is well maintained. It is not a five star building, but in my view they have 5 star management.

"Clean and comfortable"
Mikaela A, 02 Septembre 2019

Great road trip stop. Hotel is clean and updated. Nice big rooms. Nice basic outdoor pool and hot tub that we enjoyed with our 4 year old. Breakfast area is updated and has everything you'd expect in a nice free hotel breakfast - make your own waffles, eggs, yogurt, oatmeal, cereal, good coffee.

"Nice visit"
fremont5, 02 Septembre 2019

We booked the Best Western as a stop off spot on our way to Phoenix. The outside of the building is dated, inside was clean and well kept. Our room was larger than anticipated and was clean as well. Extra space with a second sink was appreciated.

"weekend in Tonopah"
garyprater, 02 Septembre 2019

Stayed in Tonopah to visit ghost town in the area. Plenty of motels in Tonopah. We like the Best Western, it is clean, comfortable and has a good hot breakfast. Cookies in the lobby were yummy. Child and pet friendly!

"Wonderful stay"
Luv-that-farm, 24 Août 2019

We stayed one night in a suite with 3 queen beds. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. Plenty of towels and toiletries provided. Check-in was quick and the agent was very friendly. She gave our kids free inflatable beach balls for the pool and offered us chocolate chip cookies when we arrived. The hotel itself was clean and inviting. Breakfast was good. Not a whole lot of seating but it was decent. Breakfast included eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, juice, pastries and oatmeal. This was the best option in Tonopah. We will stay here again in the future.

"A most excellent experience in a relatively remote location"
OMD1947, 17 Août 2019

The BW was very welcoming. The staff was amazing, with rapid check in, refreshing water, tea and cookies. They were accommodating with room choice, a very clean room and suggestions for dining. Very pleasant experience in a remote location. It really surprised my traveling companion on a multi day motorcycle trip.

Clean, quiet room. Full Best Western amenities. Comfortable beds. Good free breakfast. Great little town in the middle of nowhere. I wish we had more time to explore. Brewery across the street. Great beer.

"PLEASANT STAY"
ryanmichael2019, 21 Juillet 2019

Overall the room was very neat and clean and amenities worked well. The Questions we asked the desk attendant were answered very professionally and I was very satisfied with the service. I also thought the room was very quiet because there was no noise from anyone next door.

"Great hotel in this wonderful dessert area."
740pietve, 17 Juillet 2019

We stayed here just 1 night on our way from Vegas to Reno. Great rooms with good quality beds and a wonderful pool and spa which our kids enjoyed. Breakfast was a great experience as you're able to make yourself a Belgian waffle (see picture). All people were really friendly. Good value for money!

Stayed here with family. Great, friendly, helpful staff. Rooms were standard (double queen) but well kept and clean. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Coffee and cookies available 24/7. Access to town easy. We even found a geocache nearby.

"In the middle of Nowhere, a great place to stay!"
GGGSequim, 11 Juillet 2019

I mean in the middle of nowhere....there isn't even a tree for miles any direction! Best Western is usually very good, but some of the little touches made this a nicer place than the BW Plus we stayed at in Truckee. Double vanity for one, comfy bed, besides the usual shampoo and lotions, a small pouch with ear swabs and a nail file. Lots of cookies in the afternoon, I think three varieties, and a good breakfast room. You won't go hungry. Directly across the street a brew pub with local beers and great sandwiches. I thought it might be noisy being located directly on the main street, but the traffic is almost non existent during the night.

"Unexpected stay"
LVRealtor89052, 09 Juillet 2019

We had to be towed into Tonopah. This was an unexpected stay and a great choice in hotel. They were very pleasant and accommodating. The rooms were clean & quiet. The free breakfast was the best I have experienced anywhere. So many fresh and great choices. We spend a lot of time on the road traveling with family and this was one of the cleanest, friendliest and best values we have come across.

"Very comfortable"
Excursion828922, 08 Juillet 2019

The hotel was a great value for the money. The room was quiet and the bed was nice and comfortable. We had our dog with us and got an end room on the first floor and it was very convenient to take him in and out. The staff was very nice and we were checked in quickly.

"Great Hotel in Tonopah"
Sightseer640346, 08 Juin 2019

Amazingly friendly and nice staff. Breakfast staff were excellent, as was the food. The maids were so pleasant. We recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Tonopah, NV. Quiet hotel with plenty of parking. Clean rooms.

"Arguably, the best breakfast in Tonopah"
david19200, 05 Juin 2019

I have visited Tonopah twice 2016 & 2019, and consider the Hi-Desert Inn a solid option for a comfortable stay. A particular highlight is the friendly staff. It's worth noting the complementary hot breakfast opens early and is always an exceptionally good spread - a tier above standard continental buffet offerings in terms of variety, freshness, flavor, cleanliness of the dining area... Kudos to the chefs!

27lyallh, 04 Juin 2019

We stayed here last night and were checked in quickly and efficiently. The girl at the desk was friendly and helpful. Our room is big with nice furnishings and a good flat screen t.v. big fridge and a comfortable bed. Our only issue was with the thermostat on the wall. Took me 15 minutes to finally get it to work. So we spent a pretty warm night. Cookies were sure good though. Would certainly stay here again.

"Wonderful "
aliciaj723, 31 Mai 2019

I stayed here for business on my way to Reno. I was very impressed that they read my request ahead of time. The staff were friendly and responsive. The hotel is clean and modern looking. My room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The gym is perfect! Also they offer free coffee 24/7 and baked fresh cookies at night. The breakfast was very good. My only request is they extend the breakfast until 10 am.

"Great room, even thought they are pet friendly they made me feel like I was doing something wrong."
Helen223, 30 Mai 2019

When I went to check in here the girl at the front desk made me feel like I was doing something wrong. When I stated I had a reservation she says, "did you talk to someone here?" I stated I made my reservation directly with the hotel.. "Are you familiar with our pet contract?" When I said all they told me was that there was not a pet fee. She whips it out and precedes to go over all the rules in a very unfriendly manner. Then did not want to answer questions I asked about where the pet area is. She points and says it is across the parking the dog is not suppose to go anywhere else. Did not like that I did not know my license plate number, "you will just have to go get it." Quickly went over the card lock to turn my furnace on, I came back later as I did not understand and there was a really nice person there that explained it to me. There room was very nice and comfortable and big. The bed was great. Although I do not know why I had a handicapped room. Breakfast was good and the hostess in there was very friendly. This would not be a place I would return with my dog as the pet area is a really long way away. As an older woman alone I don't want to go clear over there in the dark. Behind the hotel across the street a homeless looking person with a backpack was digging through the dumpster. Glad I had a dog with me.

"Restful stop after a long, stormy drive."
BDylanHollis, 30 Mai 2019

This was my first time staying at a Best Western, as I am always a Marriott guy. There's never too much to say about these class of motels, and that is a good thing! They offer down-to-earth comfort that is consistent. Though I checked in comparatively late, I was greeted with a smile! The rooms were clean, clean comfy bed, TV was surprisingly large, big mini fridge & microwave was a welcome fixture. I was surprised by how nice the toiletries were as well! I wish they had different lightbulbs however... the fixtures were all very cold and bright, much like a hospital. The one main negative however was that I was put in a separate building block that was behind the main BW. The addition looked like a bit of an afterthought, and it was rather noisy from adjacent rooms, not to mention a bit of a hike as the parking lot was very full. My neighbor had a dog which was obviously very displeased throughout the night, but I understand that is not the fault of the motel! Overall there is something that is inherently disheartening about being told that you are to be put in a separate building. You feel removed from that 'hotel' feeling, as well as staff and amenities. I did find the cost strangely high at $150 a night for what you received, I'm currently writing this from an upscale Westin resort for the same price. It must be a location thing, or some other reason for the rate?

"I would stay here again in a heartbeat."
Starwoodinpa, 21 Mai 2019

It's in the middle of flipping nowhere, but that's the point. This was one of the nearest hotels to the Volcanic Field that's between Tonopah & Eli. Also, there's a complete darkness site to watch the stars without the light pollution. I highly suggest scoping the area out in the daytime. We didn't, and it's almost impossible for a first time visitor to do the starwatching. No light pollution, so you're literally driving in complete darkness.

"Best in town"
Doug C, 01 Mai 2019

This Best Western property was by far the best we have stayed in recently, The rooms and the property were immaculate. The staff was good and the amenities and parking were ample. Rooms are large and have both internet service and decent cable TV with large Samsung TV's. We have stayed at two other Hotels in Tonopah that did not even come close to the value and comfort of this Best Western.

"Desert oasis"
Ladyjane1k, 30 Avril 2019

This has to be the best hotel between Carson City and Las Vegas. The cookies at 5 o'clock were the crowning touch. The pizza restaurant and the barbecue restaurant are good and in walking distance. Rooms are large and our bathroom had 2 sinks in separate areas. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. We travel across the state about once a year and always try to stay here.

"Terrible place, stay away"
JanvDriel, 29 Avril 2019

As the number of decent places to stay are not many in this area, we choose Best Western Hi-Desert Inn. What a mistake that was, the room was smelling moldy and strange, the noise from the US-95 was terrible, earplugs are standard in the room, the staff very unfriendly as I requested another room, which was not available according to the desk lady, when I used my BW app I could easily book another room for that night, but she was telling me that they were full. They sent somebody up with a spray can to cover the smell, it made it 5 times worst. This is the last time I will ever use BW. Suggestion if you have to stay in Tonopah, take the newly opened Comfort Inn.

"Great, but unexpected."
Passenger25926026373, 28 Avril 2019

We did not expect to find a Inn in Tonopah to be this nice. We would give it a perfect 10, the room was large and nice, the staff was excellent and the breakfast was above most we have ever had. We will stay there again next time we are passing through. Great stay!

"Taking a break in the desert"
FarAway21778053638, 20 Avril 2019

We were traveling home from a visit in AZ. It was alike a little oasis for us. Enjoy the BBQ and micro brew pub across the street. They had real glasses and cups in the room which was very much appreciated. Everyone was polite and helpful.

"Better this time"
Dennis E, 17 Avril 2019

Last year we stayed here and were put into the pet room. Dirty hardwood floors and no view. This year we got upgraded to a nicer room even though we had a pet. We did get read the riot act about having pet even though we pay extra for it. I mentioned this to the manager that being nice to customers is a better way to go. She responded and waived our pet fee. This was a better experience that last year.

"Great staff"
coric165, 13 Avril 2019

Was glad I made my reservations. While waiting last 3 rooms filled up. They take pets breakfast was good. They had cookies and coffee/tea in seating area in evening. Room seemed huge. Limitted tv channels. Night clerk so friendly helped me print out important papers. Great place to stay. NO elevators so in need 1st floor be sure to say so in reservation

"Friendly"
Quest50174504533, 09 Avril 2019

Great place to stay with friendly staff and updated rooms. Both the main hotel and the other building in the back had great rooms. Tonopah is a unique town and this is one of the best options to stay in.

"Great place to stay and have a hot breakfast!"
774corinnem, 07 Avril 2019

What can I say? Everything was perfect for a quick overnight stay on the way to Death Valley National Park. We have stayed here the last 2 years and will definitely come back next year! Breakfast was exceptionally good, very clean and staff friendly!

"All BW should strive to be this good"
bsuet2017, 28 Mars 2019

We stopped in Tonopah, NV on a road trip to Death Valley and I wanted to stay to check this adorable town out. After we checked in to the Best Western Hi Desert, I did not want to leave! The hotel was equal or better than the Hiltons and Hyatts I am used to staying in. I will be back, and I will definitely tell friends to stay here. The front desk was amazing recommending eating places. They even told me to go to the gas station 2 blocks away for the best BIG Salad in town - who knew?

"Good place to stay in Tonopah"
Tom N, 22 Mars 2019

Never stayed there before and we thought we would give it a try and am glad we did. Check in was easy. The room we had was in a different building and was neat and clean and very quiet. Breakfast the next day had some good options and was very tasty. Will definitely stay there again on our way through this area.

"Best Bed in Tonapah, NV"
Roam282650, 09 Mars 2019

We have stayed at this hotel two different times and will be back. The beds are extremely comfortable. The service is great and the breakfast was good with a variety of things to choose from. Make your own hot waffles, have a hot bowl of oatmeal or other cereal, have an egg scramble and sausage, bagels or toast. It is all good.

"Oasis in the Middle of Nowhere"
EJV531, 24 Février 2019

Traveling through on our way to Washington state and needed a place to stay. There are few options in this area so decided to try the BW. What a pleasant surprise. Large clean room, comfortable bed, good WiFi and several kinds of delicious cookies available for everyone. Parking was a bit tight but OK. Definitely would stay there again.

"Great Suite"
drdroad, 20 Février 2019

I stayed in a Very nice 2 room suite. Unfortunately the TV wasn't working well in that room. Good wifi, but it constantly wants me to log in! They have chip cards! ALL hotels should have chip cards, they never fail.

"Best place i've stayed at."
BIGFNJEEP, 17 Février 2019

Best Western Hi-Desert Inn is a GREAT hotel in every category. (Pet-friendly at NO extra cost). The front desk was very helpful and had a great sitting area around a fireplace with fresh baked cookies in the evening. The room was VERY clean and up to date with everything you could ask for. The morning breakfast prepared by Betty was hands down the BEST I have ever experienced. There was so much to chose from and everything was fresh and delicious.

"Nice surprise,"
574donalds, 15 Février 2019

Needed a place to stay between destinations for a night. We were pleasantly surprised by this BW in Tonopah NV. We travel frequently and agreed this was one of the nicest motels we've stayed in. The room was spotlessly clean, modern, and spacious. Loved that it had two bathroom sink areas. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Fresh cookies (several varieties) were provided. Yum! We would definitely stay here again if in the area.

"Cozy and warm"

Can't say enough about the quality of this hotel, this is one of the best I've ever been to, the room was spotless and comfortable, breakfast was excellent with a wide variety, if you ever go through Tonopah, stay here

"Perfect stop driving through Nevada"
Leslie M, 01 Février 2019

We were concerned about finding a clean, comfortable stop driving from AZ to OR. The Best Western in Tonopah, NV has good linens, comfy bed, cleanliness, friendly staff and complete breakfast buffet. It is within walking distance of several restaurants - we enjoyed the reasonably priced historic Mizpah Hotel. Cookies and coffee available all day in the updated Best Western lobby.

The room was white glove clean. Well appointed including refrigerator and Microwave Oven. Bath room was nice but the door was very close to the toilet, other than that no problem. The night included a great breakfast that included egg with ham, hot and cold cereals, fruit , waffles in a very nice setting. A good place to stay for a reasonable price on a cold snowy night.

"Best place to stay in Tonopah"
Relax46561012335, 15 Janvier 2019

Very nice and clean hotel with updated rooms. Very good breakfast and has a fitness room if wanted. Very quiet. Mining town so mining personnel stay at motel but do not affect the quality of your stay.

"Best hotel breakfast ever"
kfkor, 02 Janvier 2019

This was one of the best breakfast selections I've ever experienced. Usually there is cereal and a lot of other carbs. This variety of hot foods included mini omelets, sausage, home fries, and hard boiled eggs which was much appreciated by those of us who have dietary restrictions. Then there was the unexpected additions such as flavored syrups for coffee and whipped cream for waffles. Also appreciated the manager walking through the breakfast room asking everyone how their room was and whether there was anything else they needed. And I didn't even mention the doggie biscuits for our pup. Totally unexpected in the little town of Tonopah, Nevada and would highly recommend everyone stay there on their way through town.

"Just like family"
Imswear, 16 Décembre 2018

I visited on 7 December, I haven't stayed at this hotel in a long time but it was like coming home. There were warm welcomes all around. Joann, Diedra, Angel, Jason and Bill were the best. Diedra took my reservation, Joann and Angel greeted me when I came in town early. Joann notified me when my room was ready while I was eating lunch across the street. Jason checked me in and was even there when I checked out in the morning after being greeted my Bill. I was sorry my stay wasn't longer but I am looking forward to returning.

"Explore the desert"
DayTrip08551573225, 03 Décembre 2018

Don't know what to write, very nice hotel inside the Great Basin, we enjoy staying at this hotel exploring the Desert by day, in the evening come to fresh baked cookies and clean room across the street is the Tonopah Brewery, in the morning a hot breakfast.

"Reservation Error"
Sherpa13216675571, 27 Novembre 2018

We have used this hotel many times in the past for our employees. Unfortunately we recently had a miscommunication on days. The management has refused to accept any responsibility in the error and refused to refund us the one night. Because of their lack of flexibility in this issue, we've been forced to take our business to the Mizpah Hotel. The Mizpah is a beautiful, historic building with comfortable beds and a good restaurant. The Best Western has been adequate to meet our needs over the past few years, being slightly less expensive. Although at my last stay there was hair left in my shower, that was not mine, which makes me wonder about the thoroughness of the cleaning process.

"What s pleasant surprise"
clevelandcooking, 26 Novembre 2018

After driving trough endless desert I drove into a tiny town called Tonapah Nevada. I quickly discovered there was a best western. I went into a beautiful lobby and got the keys to my room. They provided fresh coffee and warm cookies that satisfied my soul after my long endless drive. My bed was super comfy and there had been plenty of parking right by the door. I relaxed in my room and then went to a great brewing company right across the street. Who knew Tonapah would have so much to offer! The morning was the best. The best western brekfast provided me with locally made pastries and waffle topping station. Toppings were blackberries preserves and whipped cream. I also made a brekfast burrito with ham, bacon, cheese, potatoes, eggs and salsa. The breakfast was perfect to get me back on the road to Lake Tahoe. I highly recommend staying here.

"Pleasant and comforting"
lkcolburn68, 26 Novembre 2018

Having only been through Tonopah once before, we knew that the options for overnight stays is kind of limited. This BW was truly a sigh of relief to us. Clean, modern and an overall feeling of safety and relaxation was the total package. Breakfast is always a big plus and this hotel did not let us down. We will definitely stay again when we pass through.

"Clean, spacious, reliable!"
Anna_E_Hiller, 18 Novembre 2018

Very clean and spacious! This is the second time I've stayed here and I've been happy with the accommodations both times. One thing that is at a premium is parking, however. After 8pm, good luck finding a space if the hotel is full. Get there early! Also, the hotel doesn't have an elevator. If you need a first-floor room, specify that when you book. The staff is very welcoming and the lobby is very polished. I'm looking forward to breakfast tomorrow. :)

"Great hidden Asset"
Kyle L, 16 Novembre 2018

The staff make you feel like it is a 5 star hotel! They have fresh baked cookies for us as we arrive. Always look forward to go there on business. The hotel is centrally located in town and within walking distance to many attractions in town.

"Great Stopping Place"
Mike_B52033, 15 Novembre 2018

We spent the night at the Hi-Desert Inn on a road trip. It was a great place to stop. The staff was very friendly. This is an older motel that has been nicely remodeled. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was great and the room very quiet. Breakfast was included with the price. I definitely recommend this hotel.

"Fabulous Service! Clean room"
Melissa Pearson T, 07 Novembre 2018

In addition to speedy check in and check out, super clean room, comfy bed and a great breakfast I left behind a piece of jewelry and it was found and all is well. As an aside, the pizza place they suggest for delivery is yummy!

"Very Nice Stay"
BroonsBane, 03 Novembre 2018

This hotel offers clean and comfortable accommodations along with free breakfasts. The bed was awesome - one of the most comfortable hotel beds I've slept in. I do agree that the hotel may be a bit overpriced but at least there were no disappointments to contend with. Shower was hot and staff friendly enough. Location is in the center of town - walking distance to several restaurants. Recommended.

"Nice but overpriced"
travel963, 02 Novembre 2018

Pros: clean, bright, friendly. Free breakfast. Older motel but updated decor. Good-sized room. All the usual Best Western amenities. Cons: $141 per night seemed way too expensive for this motel, town and location. Competition needed! Price should have been about $97 per night, in my experience.

"Very comfortable"
Estelle598, 26 Octobre 2018

Having asked for a quiet room, we were given a room in the Annexe. Although this might not sound wonderful we were delighted as it was not full unlike the main building. The room was very comfortable. We overlooked a rockery flower garden and it was quiet. We liked the breakfast and you could help yourself to coffee and cookies all day! Nice clean pool. This hotel is centrally located and we walked round the town and took the walking tour of the mine.

"Great place other than the price"
Elaine M, 25 Octobre 2018

I was here I found the price was a little bit high Canada doesn't get much of a deal with the exchange on the money so when I added that into the $140.00 for one night just seems a little high. Rooms were ok hot tub was great as always pools are on the colder side breakfast was ok

"Great place to stay"
Harold M, 17 Octobre 2018

This hotel goes above and beyond to make your stay great. Real glasses and coffee mugs in the room, one of the best breakfasts we've ever had in a hotel. All personnel are very pleasant and helpful. Have stayed there three times now and it's consistently excellent.

"A fine place to stay, with everything you need"
00Bruce00, 16 Octobre 2018

Never having been to Tonopah, we picked the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn solely based on TripAdvisor reviews, and we agree on its high rating. It is large, clean, comfortable, has everything you need, the staff are friendly, and it is centrally located on the main street so easy to find. They have an extensive free (cost included) help-yourself breakfast buffet, and several restaurants are within easy walking distance for lunch and dinner. Ample parking; wheelchair accessible.

"Great hotel when passing through"
Thx1138Molly, 13 Octobre 2018

Stayed at this Best Western as we drove from Washington to Las Vegas. Our stay was top notch. The bed was awesome. Soft, and very comfortable. The staff was very nice on checking and checkout. The room itself was large and clean. Overall, I'd give Hi Dessert Best Western two thumbs up if you need to stay I Tonopah when traveling along I95.

"Nice Clean Place, Friendly Staff"
Clark G, 06 Octobre 2018

Very friendly staff, they had cookies for snacks when we checked in, you can tell this is an older motel, but very well taken care of, nice clean room, good breakfast, staff was very helpful with anything we wanted, nice place in this historic town

"billing accurancy"
cookpam, 06 Octobre 2018

the charge on the bill did not met the reservation stated amount. Check in clerk did not have any idea how to deal with this. nor did she offer any idea as what to do or investigate. She looked totally blank when I pointed out the discrepency and asked questions.

"Great place to stay!"
Samantha S, 03 Octobre 2018

Super pet friendly, clean, helpful staff, free breakfast and free wifi, overall a great place! I was a little worried when we arrived about the bunch of kids playing in the hallway, but once in our room I didnt hear them again.

"Great stay"
Venture349357, 24 Septembre 2018

Very nicely maintained property. Room was up-to-date, comfortable, & attractive. I like the fact that there are 2 sinks so my rroommate & I could use them at th he same time. Staff friendly & courteous. Great breakfast, although it gets crowded at times -- go early!

"Much Better than Expected "
Dave J, 18 Septembre 2018

Pleasantly surprised as the rooms were large, comfortable and clean. Despite hotel being full the room was quiet and a/c worked great at keeping temperatures pretty consistent during the night. Breakfast was above average for this class of hotel.

"Nice place"
Cammy456, 16 Septembre 2018

We stayed here for one night and it was a great place. They had a variety of cookies at night and they had a great breakfast! It was very clean and the rooms were a good size. The front desk people were great both at night and in the morning. When we went to breakfast the cooks greeted us with a “Good morning.”

"A nice hotel in an area with few choices"
airsuperiority, 13 Septembre 2018

This hotel was an average property but a welcome sight in Tonopah Nevada. There are few choices of places to stop and stay between Las Vegas and Reno, and Tonopah Nevada is one of those towns. Having said that, the Best Western Hotel in Tonopah has clean rooms that are somewhat pricey. Make reservations early, because it appears that hotels in this town tend to fill up fast.

"Road trip through the center of Nevada"
dh0stetler, 12 Septembre 2018

Traveling from Grand Canyon we decided to go up through the center of Nevada very few towns when we got to this place we was felt very blessed the motel was very nice very clean bright room happy people at the that work there had a good night's rest the bed felt was slept really well God bless you all and all the people that want to stay there

"Very Good Hotel"
Robert T, 12 Septembre 2018

The place to stay in Tonopah Nevada if you are traveling and need a hotel. Exceptionally clean and well maintained. Great employees. Good clean rooms, good beds, quite comfortable. Excellent breakfast selection.

"Long distance move"
Waltdviv, 11 Septembre 2018

We were moving from WA state to Arizona. We originally were going down through I-5 but due to wildfire raging across the roads we ended up coming thru Nevada. This was a wonderful stop for us, they happily accepted our dog and cat. The room was clean and very comfortable.

"Great place to stay "
lawnman11, 06 Septembre 2018

I really enjoyed our stay here and would stay again on my next trip to this area. Room was nice and clean. Pool was good. Lobby was nice and up to date. Kids loved the cookies which was nice bonus for them. I would highly recommend for anyone traveling thru tonopah.

"Such a comfortable hotel!"
klyotra, 25 Août 2018

Such a comfortable hotel! The room was huge. Lots of complementaries such as cookies, coffee, iced water, lotion, ear plugs. The staff was very friendly and our late arrival was no problem. Laundry is very cheap. It's 1,25$ for each, detergent, laundry and drying - so 3,75$ in total. Breakfast (6.00am - 9.00am) includes oats, fresh waffles, sausages and omlet, fruits ... We did not miss anything. The pool is clean and you can use it from 9.00am until 10.00pm. We would definitly visit again if our tour would allow it.

"BIRCH"
dougrbirch, 25 Août 2018

We stayed on our return to Arizona. I have stayed at another Motel in area and was not satisfied at all.We have become a Best Western Rewards Member and plan to stay at only Best Westerns from now on unless they are not available.

"Amazing!"
Torin R, 19 Août 2018

This hotel was so great we'd come back to tonopah just to stay here. The rooms were nice and the cleanest we've ever stayed in. The staff was friendly and seemed to really enjoy their work. They even let us have some breakfast even though it had been closed for half an hour!

"Not really dog friendly"
William B, 15 Août 2018

At check in they have you sign a paper which they can charge you $150.00 is your dog barks so my wife and I could not go out to eat because our dogs bark the first few minutes when we leave then quiet down but they seem to want to punish you for having a pet

"Nice hotel in remote area"
howieswife, 11 Août 2018

Hotel spread out over two buildings. Lobby updated and staff friendly. Room was very comfortable - always lots of pillows at BW. Bathroom a little tight but still good. Breakfast was attended by several employees and featured very good food in updated atmosphere. Would stay here again.

"A great place to stay in Tonopah"
Raphael W, 29 Juillet 2018

This was my third or maybe fourth stay at this hotel, and I was pleased with it overall as usual. Along with the close-by Mizpah Hotel, this property seems to be among the very best available for lodging in Tonopah. They have renovated their lobby and breakfast area since i was last here and it was a great improvement--especially the breakfast area which is now more spacious and with more seats and tables for guests than before. If you're interested as I am in towns where you can get a real taste of the old west, Tonopah is a neat place to visit. The old mining museum on the hill behind the hotel is really fascinating as is the Old Tonopah Cemetery just up the street. My room was fine and I always feel comfortable and safe staying here. I'll return again if my travels ever take me here in the future.

"Good hotel in Tonopah"
hester2018, 27 Juillet 2018

By far the best hotel in Tonopah. Unfortunately Tonopah is not really a nice place. It is a town to rest on your way to nicer things. But the hotel is good. Comfy, large rooms, clean, pool is on the roadside which is not relaxing but the water is refreshing. Check in was easy, the staff was nice, fresh cookies and drinks without charge ??. When your room overlooks the busy road and you find earplugs you know you might experience noise but to be fair it was not as bad as experted.

"The place to stay in Tonopah"
Lawrence5279, 25 Juillet 2018

Rooms are accessed from an interior corridor. Our room was very nice with microwave and refrigerator. I used the treadmill in the fitness center which was open 24 hours and appreciated being able to get at it early in the morning. Breakfast and the breakfast room were excellent. Staff were all friendly and professional. This hotel is a good value.

"Be sure to stay at the Hi Desert!"
Stacey M, 23 Juillet 2018

The Hi Desert is a great motel. I have never had a bad experience there. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the room extremely comfortable, and the breakfast plentiful and tasty. I always look forward to my stay at the Hi Desert.

"Pleasant stay"
HUSKERTRAVELER, 21 Juillet 2018

We arrived late and were pleased to receive the 1st floor room we had requested. Our room was so spacious it could have used some more furniture. There were 2 sinks, one inside, and one outside of the bathroom. This was great and both had good sized vanities. This was the first hotel we stayed at in a week that had towels for 4 in the room. The shower head was very high, great for tall people. Clock was very unique and showed the time on both the front and side. There were plenty of outlets in the room. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. The room was equipped with real coffee mugs and glasses. The strange thing about this place is that you had to insert a key card in a slot on the wall to get the heating & A/C unit to work. It took us a long time to figure it out. I have NEVER encountered anything like this before. VERY strange!! Breakfast was very good and had a large selection of items. There were even charging ports in the breakfast room.

"Thoroughly Enjoyable and Restful Stay"
Don L, 19 Juillet 2018

I don't travel much but when I do, I want to minimize the possibility of a sub-standard stay at a motel. I understand that reviews my be misleading but in totality, they tell a story. I had a long trip scheduled and my first stop after leaving Reno would be Tonopah, due to the lateness of meetings I attended in Reno. The hotel definitely stood out when one was traveling down the road. I have mild handicaps and had requested a ground floor room. When I walked in, the young lady who was assisting me to get checked in was very friendly and helpful. We walked through the registration process and was assured I had a ground level room down a hallway off of the front office. Handicap parking was directly in front of the main office and a ramp from the parking lot to the main office made it easy to bring my baggage to my room. The only thing I felt could be improved was I had two rolling bags but there was no handicap assist arrangement for the front doors which made bring two large bags in a two step process. Not a big problem for me but for some folks with physical impairments, it might be difficult to get through the door without a door opener activated by the blue disabled button. The room was very clean and well appointed. I carry a bag with diabetic supplies in it but did not find a refrigerator with freezer in the room so that I could refreeze my gel coolant bag. I am sure that if I had taken the bag to the front office they could have keep if frozen for me. Due to the nature of my medication, if was okay to take it later in the evening instead of the next morning. when I checked in I was told about the breakfast served each morning and the items being served were told to me so I would have an idea of what to expect . The checkout was done in person as I needed a receipt for my employer. I asked if they had a paper shredder and was told they did, in their office. I was able to shred a wad of paper documents that I had printed out and no longer needed. Checkout was quick and simple and I was on my way. No complaints, no issues, just a restful and pleasant stay at Best Western in Tonopah

"Motorcycle trip through Nevada"
Steve G, 14 Juillet 2018

This is a great place to stay! Very clean, good hearty breakfast and comfortable beds but the wonderfully friendly staff is what I will remember. Jason at the front desk could not have been more accommodating! If ever back in Tonopah, this will be where we spend the night. Thanks!

"Great Best Western, best in Tonopah"
Diane D, 14 Juillet 2018

Beautiful, clean hotel with great customer service and location. Breakfast was amazing! A must stop if staying in Tonopah. Real coffee mugs in the rooms, nice touch! Comfy beds, nice desk area to work at and usb plugs to charge..

"Friendly Staff, Great Amenities, Comfortable Room"
jonkir88, 28 Juin 2018

The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The hot, fresh cookies with coffee or tea in the lobby are a wonderful check-in treat. Cool down when you arrive or during your stay by heading down to the lobby for refreshing iced tea, strawberry lemon water, and/or cucumber water. The breakfast buffet has many great choices from fruit, yogurt, and oatmeal to bacon, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, and make-your-own Belgian waffles. The egg, meat, and potato options change each day. There are a variety of beverages... coffees, juices, teas, hot chocolate, hot cider, etc. The lobby and common areas are comfortable and nicely decorated. The rooms are clean with all of the modern conveniences and decor, as well as beautiful photographs of local mines. The beds are comfortable with lots of pillows There are even ear-plugs if you need to lessen the noise of your snoring partner. There are so many amenities... you can even borrow a fun board game from the lounge area to play with family and friends or logon to one of their computers to check email, etc. We've stayed here before and definitely will again!

"A clean, quiet place to stay at a reasonable price"
bmonson, 22 Juin 2018

Stayed in annex in room #152 (connecting room #150 as a suite) for $160 total. PROS: Quiet, A/C, secure free parking, nice linens, towels and toiletries. Good water pressure, better black out curtains were a real plus. Hot breakfast was good. CONS: pool is outdoors on the street side and not private. We hoped to sleep in after traveling, but the cleaning staff was noisy early in the a.m. right outside our door even though check out was after 11 a.m. and we had a "do not disturb" sign on the door. Smoking area right outside main door to annex is a real turn-off for non-smoking hotel and NEEDS TO BE MOVED AWAY FROM ENTRANCE.

"Super Clean, Super Nice, Fantastic Breakfast"
MotorBikeDude73, 14 Juin 2018

This was a great place to stay for a nationally branded hotel. Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and the breakfast was better than normal at a Best Western. I would highly recommend to anyone traveling in these parts.

"A best of the Best West"
ialine, 10 Juin 2018

They do it Right really right, from check-in to check-out, with a team work ethic and pleasant attitude... this staff has it. Rooms are fine with very comfortable bed tv wifi correct towels and bath amenities. Pool is pristine. Included breakfast is full with fresh make your waffles to everything else thats expected. Additionally complimentary water coffee tea and delicious cookies in the lobby makes this place Hospitality plus.

"Really liked this place!"
Marmil34, 05 Juin 2018

I was a little hesitant when I pulled up at this hotel because the outside didn't look all that inviting but the room was nice size, clean, a little dated, good WiFi, great breakfast, very nice staff, good pool area, decent laundry, small food store. I would definitely stay here again.

"A Great Middle Of Road Stopping Spot"
Dave C, 30 Mai 2018

BW High Desert Inn is an oasis between Las Vegas and Reno. The motel/hotel is clean, efficient, and well run. The room prices are reasonable. There are two good restaurants that we've eaten at and both are good. Hometown Pizza is in easy walking distance of the BW High Desert Inn. Cisco's, you will have to drive to. Staying at the BW High Dersert Inn beats driving from Las Vegas to Reno in one day.

"Pretty Good"
DHUtah, 30 Mai 2018

This was just a one night stop in the middle of a road trip but it was a pleasant stay. The room was clean, the staff was helpful, and the breakfast buffet was pretty good. It's not a destination hotel but I'll stay here again if I'm passing through.

"Pleasant Stay"
Clay T, 30 Mai 2018

We stayed here on our way to Lake Tahoe from Phoenix. Nice room with a very comfortable king bed. The room had two sinks and two mirrors, which we find convenient. My wife was impressed with its cleanliness. I should add that we were traveling with our toy poodle. The room was on the ground floor which helps when you have a dog to walk. Along with a microwave and small refrigerator, our room was equipped with a 32” TV with HBO. The breakfast was good with eggs, bacon, and waffles available.

"Great Stay"
hustoncs, 29 Mai 2018

Rooms are large and very clean staff was very helpful, so for Tonopah for our group event it worked out very well. The location is in the center of town so very convenient. As an added bonus it's right across the street from the Tonopah brewing and BBQ a great place to eat.

"Well taken care of place-worth the stop"
fluffycat2014, 27 Mai 2018

We got there on a chilly night with snow on the ground & found the place very inviting as we went in, it was warm & inviting with the smell of fresh baked cookies & friendly attendants at the desk to check you in. The room was very clean & comfortable. Not knowing the area, the clerks told of us several choices to eat at & we went across the street to BBQ, which was delicious. They served a very nice breakfast which we enjoyed as we'd not have to stop for breakfast but continue on our journey. We love BW & try to stay at them when we travel & this was top notch.

"The very best Best Western we've ever stayed in"
ougeekgirl, 18 Mai 2018

Everything about our stay was perfect. Check-in was fast and friendly. Free Iced tea and fruit-laced ice water were available in the lobby as were fresh baked cookies in the late afternoon. Even dog biscuits are ready for furry friend treats. Everything was exceptionally clean and well maintained. The beds were firm and comfy, the bathroom area has two vanities, and the fridge was larger than mini. The hot breakfast was outstanding with great selections - real egg omelets and even almond milk and freshly made (not packaged) oatmeal. There are many extra, small touches throughout the hotel that create a lovely environment that subtly says "We Care". The staff is super friendly and helpful. You'll have a chuckle over the hallway carpeting - an unusual "racetrack" design. Enjoy

"Worst managed Best Western-cancelled confirmed reservation for 10 rooms with no assistance to find alternative lodging"
BuenosAiresSailor, 10 Mai 2018

A group of 20 of business friends on an annual trip arrived at the Best Western High Desert Inn with a guaranteed and confirmed reservation for 10 rooms to be told by a very unsympathetic and unhelpful front desk clerk that our reservation had been cancelled. There was no availability in town for our group and we had to spend nearly two hours cobbling together enough beds at three locations, including an AirBnB. Best Western did absolutely nothing to help us. This liocation should be stripped of its franchise or management should be fired.

"Nice stay."
njdale, 08 Mai 2018

Hotel and rooms were clean and breakfast was good. Beds a bit soft for my taste. This hotel needs to provide recycle bins for travelers to cut down on waste. Brew pub across the street had great food. Convenient.

"Average B.W."
Darel M, 07 Mai 2018

Check in was easy and friendly. Parking is kinda weird. Easy walking distance to eating establishments. Room is average size and it was quite except for the people up stairs stomping around their room.

"LOVE this hotel."
nancybX2564FB, 03 Mai 2018

We love this hotel so much that we wish our travels took us in this direction more often. I especially like having the separate sink/mirror in the bathroom and then another one OUTSIDE the bathroom. The beds are so comfortable and the room nicely decorated. The breakfast area is well kept and the food is good, constantly being re-stocked by Betty who is such an outgoing friendly person that it adds to your breakfast experience! All in all, this is one of our very favorite Best Westerns.

"A nice surprise in a town of history"
sitesea, 24 Avril 2018

Tonopah is a rusty, dusty, rocky, hilly, interesting old mining town. Best Western is situated in the middle, with the Historic Mining Museum and mines a short walk away. Since we planned to visit the mining museum, the location could not be beat. The hotel was clean, well appointed, comfortable and quiet. The staff members we encountered were friendly and helpful.

"Best Western Tonopah Review"
wrayn0r, 18 Avril 2018

Thank you for the excellent stay. The room was comfortable and the bed excellent. The coffee brand in the hotel room was simply terrible. I had to use both packets in order to have a cup of coffee that had any taste and I am not a strong coffee drinker. Adding either Splenda or equal type sweeteners in the room would be greatly appreciated as some people are allergic to saccharin.

"Great stay"
AMBussolini, 17 Avril 2018

We stay at many Best Western's and were very happy with our stay here. Rooms are a good size and nice, clean and comfy beds. Breakfast the next morning was a perfect end to our stay. We will definitely be back when in Tonopah!

"Please post that there is no elevator"
Brenda T, 06 Avril 2018

For those that can't climb stairs, CHECK IN EARLY ! Rooms are very nice. Well maintained and clean. Staff is friendly and we were greeted with hot coffee and cookies.. (Thanks for having some nut free !) Definitely stay here !

"Best in Tonopah"
richardsT69SU, 04 Avril 2018

Right across the street from one of the best brewpubs in Nevada, a quiet, efficient hotel for travelers. Showed up without a reservation but that wasn't a problem. I like having a room where I can see my car parked.

"Very nice place when you stop in Tonopah."
NabilBKK, 02 Avril 2018

The hotel has very nice and clean rooms. Service is good, room is large. Breakfast included is of a good quality with diverse choices. It is situated on the main road, you may ask for a room not on that side.

"BW at Tonapah, NV"
Cyndi M, 30 Mars 2018

Our stay at the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn, Tonopah, NV was quite satisfactory. The breakfast has improved over the years, but is still basic foods that can be kept warm in chafing dishes, or are in packages. The big thing to know, especially for seniors or disabled individuals who prefer an upper floor to a lower floor, ask for assistance with your bags as there is not an elevator.

"Exceptional Service"
Deborah G, 25 Mars 2018

A last minute reservation for myself and my dog. The rooms are clean, up to date and surprisingly quiet. There was no extra charge or deposit for my dog which was nice. They are very clear that dog cannot be in the room alone at any time. When I mentioned upon check-out that I was disappointed I couldn't use the breakfast buffet because of this rule, Jason, the front desk person offered to get me a little to-go bag. Although I declined I thought it was exceptional customer service that he immediately offered. I really like that there is a good size refrigerator and a microwave as well as a coffee pot in the room. I usually stay at another boutique type hotel in Tonopah but Best Western has won me over.

"Great place to stay with a great pool!"
George T, 21 Mars 2018

We arrived late in the evening and were assigned a great room. The pool is open 24 hours for adults and it has a very nice soaking/hot tub. We really enjoyed the breakfast as it they had multiple options for both my wife and I!

"Very good"
Bobrunning, 10 Mars 2018

Thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay here. Check in was quick and friendly. Room was as advertised. Very clean and comfortable bed. The only negative was a very slow internet. I was trying to watch a basketball game on the internet and finally just listened on the radio .

"Best stay in town"
Marie B, 09 Mars 2018

Although there aren't many options in Tonopah, the Best Western is the best hotel and the only one with a full breakfast included, however it has gotten a bit pricey over the years. We roll into town 2x per year for a conference and need a clean place with comfy beds and breakfast.

"Nice and homey!"
Sandy E, 28 Février 2018

Lots of little extras that made it comfortable—cozy fireplace with several chairs, delicious variety of cookies, cozy comforter on the bed! There was even a large jug of iced tea that I appreciated. Very nice!

"Nice clean hotel"
Perki, 14 Février 2018

We have family in Tonopah and were visiting for just one night. Went by the hotel around noon, to see if we could check in early, but no rooms were ready yet. Went back later in the afternoon, room was ready, we were given #220. There is no elevator that we saw so if you have a hard time with stairs and/or have lots of, or large, luggage, try and request the first floor only. Room had a king bed as requested, and room was a nice size. We will definitely stay here again when we visit next...exactly what we wanted! Also, the free cookies were really good, especially the oatmeal!

"Great place to stop"
iocltdcain, 13 Février 2018

Always clean, always friendly. This place has been a favorite of ours for years. The first time we stayed here our jeep's Engine blew up. We had 2 cats and 2 dogs. Without question they put us up until we could get rescued. Since then they have done everything they could to keep the place up to date and as easy to get in and out as possible.

"Very nice stop in the high desert"
Mike R, 07 Février 2018

A well maintained property in a historic mining town. I especially appreciated the excellent bed, and convenient arrangement of the room. Everything was recently updated and clean. Parking was close by.

"The only intelligent choice. Excellent."
xnmcb3cb, 02 Février 2018

This is the half-way spot from Reno to Vegas. We stopped here to breakup the 8 hr drive over 2 days. All small details covered. Even free cookies in the lobby and earplugs in the rooms. Just remember that the thermostat is a European rig. You must insert your key in the light switch to activate the thermostat. Also bathroom lights are wired to the GFCI receptacle. Have to reset it for lights. 30 years as an electrician, I have never seen lights wired to a GFCI load. Excellent place though.

"Best Hotel in Town"
paulagirl35, 09 Janvier 2018

We stay at the Best Western every time we come to Tonopah or drive thru. We have been staying here for over 15 years. It is Clean, comfortable and the staff is always friendly. Having breakfast right there is such a plus and always good. The location is also great because it's within walking distance to restaurants.

"Time in Tonopah"
glenw468, 06 Janvier 2018

Great service. Always satisfying breakfast. Close proximity to work site. Overall my time at the is hotel has been a good experience. There is a really nice lady that works in the kitchen each morning. They made accommodations for me while I went to work.

"Not Pet Friendly"
Terry O, 31 Décembre 2017

My husband and I decided to stay at the Best Western in Tonapah Nv since it had a decent rating for the town on New Years Eve. We were told while making reservations that the hotel was pet friendly (we travel with two small dogs) and leaving them in the room while we went to dinner and breakfast would be fine. When we arrived to check in the clerk told us that yes they are pet friendly, BUT if you want to leave the room for any reason, like going to dinner or even the breakfast they provide, that if you leave the dogs in the room alone there will be a $150 charge. I don't think that condition is considered pet friendly as we will not and cannot leave the dogs in the car while we eat and cannot take the dogs into the place we decide to have dinner at. NOT PET FRIENDLY!!!

"Mold and bad beds"
Woodgal, 31 Décembre 2017

We love Best Western however, we were very disappointed in your Tonopah location. Our room was not ready and the cleaning lady was inside. No problem, we were willing to wait. The beds were made and she said she was almost done. I stayed out if her way on the bed. She was talking to another customer in the lobby, which was fine with me as it was not long. She wiped down the sink and started to gather her things to leave. I asked her if she was going to vacuum. She said, "Oh, you want me to vacuum?". I could tell it had not been done. She vacuumed and left. I thought she was done until the next morning when I noticed an semi-empty shampoo in the morning and mold about the shower. Secondly the beds were broken down where people sit on the sides by the center end table between both beds. Both beds were so bad, that we could barely walk in the morning. Upon checkout, I explained to the clerk and she offered to add some points to my account. I do thank Rachel for that. However, the manager emailed us 50% off on our next stay and addressed the unclean shower, but never mentioned the beaten down beds. We had reservations for our return but cancelled even with the 50% off. Why would we accept an offer to toss and turn all night??? Don't stay in Tonopah...just keep driving!!!

"Good choice."
Young Mee J, 30 Décembre 2017

We were on the way to Death vallry from San Fransisco with my Family. We looking for Good place where is saving time & comfort bed. Best westin at tonopah is match with my expectation. I recommend this place to your stay.

"Best hotel in Tonopah"
shakakan, 29 Décembre 2017

This is hands down the best hotel to stay at in Tonopah. The rooms are brand new, beds are super comfy, workput room has all new equipment, and the employees are so helpful and sweet! The breakfast is free and it has everything you could want plus gluten free and alternative milk options.

"Great stop on Highway 95"
GaryKupp, 29 Décembre 2017

A quality motel in a small town. Met my expectations of a Best Western franchise very well. Place was inviting and check-in was fast and friendly. Desk staff provided excellent recommendations for dinner that night. Beds were comfortable and the room very clean. Although the shower handle got stuck in the morning, providing only cold water for a shower, the manager gladly offered a small discount off our bill.

"motel stay"
Q9397FZmichaelm, 23 Décembre 2017

It is located in a small town in Nevada. We were on a drive across the southern US and drive a long distance to get to Tonopah. We were quite pleasantly surprised at the quality of the hotel and staff and had an excellent night with them.

"Good room , decent rate , breakfast ready earl and had actual usable plastic flatware"
Rust-E-Junque, 21 Décembre 2017

Good room , good sleep , breakfast ready earlier than stated - We went down about 5:15 and everything was ready! Brochure said breakfast at 6:00 AM - Thanks!Good stuff to eat , and a cookie at night! No Problems Best Western Stay

"Pleasant, comfortable stay"
Kathy T, 19 Décembre 2017

This was a nice place to stay. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean. There was a good breakfast with a variety of items with some healthy options. The staff was helpful and pleasant. We would stay here again.

"Modern and nice looking "
khalid4kac, 08 Décembre 2017

Consider one of the best choices in This small desert community. The rooms are large in size. Very clean and modern . Relaxing beds. The staff are helpful and friendly. They made very tasty cookies. The Internet is fast .there is a pizzeria restaurant just cross the street . Makes very delicious food.

"Repeat over night stay while traveling - first time with our Boston Terrier though"
Linda B, 02 Décembre 2017

We were impressed two years ago when we made this same trip and looked forward to staying again. Staff were super helpful, room CLEAN and pet friendly - but it was our first time signing a pet contract!

"Excellent Property"
Tabakman E, 01 Décembre 2017

This is probably the only decent properties in the middle of nowhere for miles around. Depends on your budget and what you are looking for but since I was traveling with someone and after reading reviews of other places, I prefer not to stay in dives. If you want a decent room and an excellent hot breakfast, then I do recommend this place highly. But as I would tell anyone, do your own research when you stay anywhere and make a decision as your needs might be different than mine. Safe travels to everyone this holiday season.

"Refurbished Rooms"
SueinSalem, 29 Novembre 2017

The rooms have been refurbished. There was a luggage rack and an extra nightstand in the room which was helpful for holding a suitcase. The beds were good. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and coffeemaker. There is NO ELEVATOR for this two-story hotel. The breakfast was good - hot cheese omelet, tasty bacon and potatoes as well as the usual offerings. The room had two sinks which was a nice benefit. The thermostat only worked with the key card was left in the slot - same with one of the lights. Be sure to read about that feature when you check in.

"DMV COLLUSION"
annesI6592JC, 27 Novembre 2017

While our experience at the best Western motel was really excellent, and the pizza parlor across the street served an unbelievably tasty pizza, the coffee in the room was absolutely delicious and easy to make, the reason that we were there was to allow my daughter to take her drivers test at the DMV. The woman at the DMV was bitter, pre-programmed to fail my daughter because we are from Las Vegas. Throughout the ride the woman repeatedly said, so you think you can come here because the test is easier? Well it isn't. So you think because we are A small town that you can take advantage of us? It was quite unbelievable. While she might not have appreciated that we came there to get the drivers test because it was sooner than what was available in Las Vegas, the rest of Tonopah must certainly have appreciated our business. From the motel, to the pizza parlor, to the gas station, we dropped about $300. In a town that is otherwise dying, the DMV needs to treat people with more respect and dignity. We are taxpayers after all.

"High Desert Best western"
688karlz, 26 Novembre 2017

Best hotel in Tonopah, if you want breakfast. Goog free breakfast. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Walking distance to resturants. If you are a light sleper, just ask to be away from the main road. Great cookies in the evening.

"Wonderful surprise"
Mary M, 25 Novembre 2017

Clean , last minute need for a place to stay very happy. Coffee and cookies in lobby , pet friendly, food location walkable distance, comfy beds, complimentary ear plugs to block one negative thing here ...street noise

"Love this hotel"
terry0012015, 22 Novembre 2017

Stay here at this hotel it is fantastic and so comfortable, my family stays here every time we drive through Nevada, my grandson still talks about staying at this hotel from two years ago so that is how great this hotel is.

"On our way to LV"
Lloyd D, 18 Novembre 2017

Great hotel, clean, friendly staff, comfortable room and beds, coffee, microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. Breakfast served downstairs. Cookies, coffee free to incoming hotel guest. Quiet rooms, there is a small gym with up to date equipment, seasonal pool.

"Clean & comfortable "
Diane M, 12 Novembre 2017

Our room was a little outdated, but clean and everything worked. We were able to walk to restaurants and gas is nearby. Very conveniently located. Would stay here again. There aren't slot of options traveling this route. And this was safe and easy.

"Clean room, friendly staff"
vacationaholic, 11 Novembre 2017

Family stayed for 1 night. Room was a bit smaller than I expected, but for the price, it couldn't be beat. Clean room, fast, friendly staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Tight breakfast quarters while we were there, but staff made it work. Quiet room even though it is next to US 95. Has a pool, but not sure if its heated - didn't use it.

"Nice stop"
Dian6, 07 Novembre 2017

On the way to Las Vegas. Rooms have been recently redone, so they're still clean and fresh. Place has a great breakfast in the morning. We were expecting continental, but they had a full breakfast. Friendly and helpful staff. Coffee and cookies in the lobby. Kitchen staff attentive, always replenishing the food. Great place for a stop in the desert!

"Great Best Western!!!"
Jason2903, 04 Novembre 2017

The Best Western Hi Desert is in a good location for overnight or extended if you're vacationing in the area. A little more pricey than I'd like, but all in all in was a great stay and I'll be back again.

"Quiet Room in Tonopah"
John M, 03 Novembre 2017

We we originally going to stay in Hawthorne, NV and the reviews and drive-by failed in that town, so we drove the 70-80 miles further to Tonopah. Interesting little mining town, the hotel is at the top of the town. Room was on the second floor, no elevator - however that was not an issue for us. Room faced the rear of the hotel, so we knew we would not have road noise, the hotel though had provided earplugs! Room was quiet and clean. Ate at the pub across the street, staff very friendly and food was good.

"Best Western Tonopah"
ROBERT W, 02 Novembre 2017

This hotel was clean, comfy and good location. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing, it seemed a bit pricey for being out in the middle of nowhere. Not much to do in the town and it seemed like they were out of line on the room cost. But still a good night sleep and stay.

"Nice place to stay"
Jo P, 29 Octobre 2017

Front desk staff are wonderful and very accommodating. Cookies and coffee in the lobby are tasty. We arrived early and had 3 rooms booked, they managed to get us into one room until the others were ready. I had no cell service, it is the middle of the desert, front desk came to my assistance. We stayed in the main building and found it to be quiet with a welcoming sitting area that includes a warm fireplace. Rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable beds. There is a brew pub just across the road and several restaurants within walking distance just down the road. I would recommend staying at this hotel

"A eye-opener for Best Western"
Lee B, 28 Octobre 2017

We made the decision to stay here in the left-hand turn lane as we drove into the carpark! Let me explain; BW in the UK is horrid and would be in the last few places I would choose to stay. By the time I had been taken through the checkin process by the receptionist (the mature one, the younger was quite standoffish) my mind was already changed. She struggled with entering my details on the system but remained professional yet warm throughout. Once we went into the room we were completely won over! The two room had nice beds plus everything else you'd need for a short stay. Breakfast has a superb selection with pleasant and efficient staff running round clearing and replenishing. The hotel is quiet and externally clean and THIS hotel has changed my mind completely on the BW brand!

"Service and Personality is not Dead"
Y1284CNjasonc, 23 Octobre 2017

These people provide great service and a warm, friendly atmosphere while still being able to let their own personality out. It was great. If they lived closer to me, I would steal all of them for my company. Rachel was the best when we changed our reservations for our 9 rooms several times and she was great every time. One time she was not available and the other staff members knew our situation and jumped right in where Rachel and I had left off. Amazing!

"Best Hotel Stay While on the Road"
thass97444, 21 Octobre 2017

We were pleasantly surprised that the room offered an excellent bed, great linens, many pillows, a very clean room - all at a great value. I really enjoyed their breakfast which offered an array of hot and cold choices. This was the best hotel in the middle of nowhere.

"Oasis in the middle of the NV desert"
deborahgL4912PJ, 20 Octobre 2017

I've stayed here for both business and leisure for the past decade. I enjoy staying at the BW Hi-Desert Inn because it's convenient, clean, quiet. The staff is above-and-beyond helpful. Breakfast is always fresh.

"Best Western Tonopah"
Y437RGcaroll, 12 Octobre 2017

While there is not much to do in Tonopah, it is conveniently located as a halfway spot for many destinations. The surrounding countryside is pretty, and the Best Western is very clean and friendly. The breakfast is excellent and the staff is courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our one night stay. The desk person gave honest restaurant advice that we followed and were satisfied with a great, inexpensive meal. Our suite was nice and had 2 bathrooms.

"One of the best motels on our 30-day road trip"
GregLauser, 11 Octobre 2017

Checked in late at night and service was great. So was the complimentary breakfast selection the following morning, the comfortable beds and cleanliness of the rooms. Also had excellent guest laundry machines, which we needed by that point on our trip. This is where we'll stay if ever back in this area.

"Updated Delight"
N7833PZrichardm, 09 Octobre 2017

Extremely updated room with excellent lighting and outlets for all of your many electronics. Breakfast had multiple hot and cold choices. Fresh warm cookies in lobby for an afternoon snack. Cart available for luggage transfer to room. Secureroom key locks on all entrances. Walk to local downtown venues.

"Great place to stay!"
Harold M, 04 Octobre 2017

This is the nicest place to stay in Tonopah, NV. They have a neat, clean and comfortable Motel and one of the best breakfasts we have ever seen at motels. Highly recommend this as a great place to stay in Tonopah!

"Tonopah town"
Ron B, 04 Octobre 2017

My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Mizpah and won the 'Lady in Red" which gave us 50% rebate on our accommodation. Walked around town and it's like going back in the past. Real fantastic and denifty worth an overnight stop. Hotel meals were great, staff very polite and even understool my accent (mixture of NZ & Aussie).

"Nice clean place to stay"
CliffordL19, 02 Octobre 2017

Room was clean and comfortable. Wifi worked well. Cookies available at check in. Breakfast was good, but a little slow. They had cheese omelets but did not start warming more until the tray was empty so a lot of folks waiting for food.

"Very nice hotel in Tonopah, NV"
annbI5868OP, 02 Octobre 2017

Very nicely done hotel. Clean and staff was very accommodating. The free breakfast was surprisingly good and fresh. No day old pastries we have experienced so many other hotels that provide free breakfast. We highly recommend this Best Western.

"Out in middle of no where"
Dianne b, 30 Septembre 2017

We stayed in Tonopah because it was 1/2 way from Las Vegas to Reno. This little unique town had a wonderful very nice BW. The staff was friendly, place was spotless and stay very relaxing. Would stay again if we drive through the desert again.

"Another great stay"
Bibndum, 24 Septembre 2017

I stayed here several years ago and I have to say it is just as good as it was then. The rooms and hotel have been remodeled very nicely. The staff are friendly and helpful. I actually stayed here for two nights on this trip, separated by a couple days, and both stays were great. The second time I stayed on this trip the first room I was given smelled like a smoking room, the front desk changed my room immediately with no hassle. Great customer service. The pool and hot tub are great to have and are well kept, as is the entire hotel. The breakfast is really good, with lots of options - not just the basics. It is also nice that the Tonopah Brewing & BBQ Company is right across the street! This is the best place to stay in Tonopah if you ask me. Highly recommended.

"Needed somewhere to crash on our road trip"
I5026XSstevens, 24 Septembre 2017

The rooms were outdated it took nearly two hours to check in, it was hot there are hardly any places to eat around the area it's really in a Podunk town. But we needed somewhere to sleep for the night we have been driving for nearly a full day. Thought that it would just be nice to rest and relax but the bed was the most oddly shaped and gave my husband and I horrible back and neck aches. This seems to be a reoccurring issue with Best Western.

"Disappointed"
Kevin C, 13 Septembre 2017

Booked in for 3 nights and twice we had to wait until gone 1700 hrs for our room to have been dealt with. Since booking in time is from 1500 hrs I would expect all rooms to be dealt with by then. One couple turned up at 1500 hrs and had to wait for another 40 minutes before the room was ready. Not an efficient service.

"Great choice for this area"
951brendac, 13 Septembre 2017

This hotel had just what we needed for a good nights stay. We had a large rental truck and were also towing a car trailer. This hotel had plenty of parking area for our big load. The included breakfast was the usual that BW offers; good enough to get on the go. Just what expected.

"Exceeded expectations!"
Pamela N, 09 Septembre 2017

Loved the pet friendly atmosphere. The room was clean and the bed was terrific! The pillows were a bit thick, but that is a tiny issue. Bring your own pillow! The staff was great. Coffee was excellent, we missed breakfast but only because they were so kind as to give us a ride out to the little airport! Our visit was completely random and accidental and we loved it!

"Nice Surprise"
Sawyer9813, 07 Septembre 2017

Okay, Tonopah is a small place and we stayed here because there is just about nothing else in the area. I was a little concerned as we are out in nowhere here. This Best Western looks unassuming from the outside. Nothing fance for sure. But inside the facility is very clean and well maintained. Our king room was average for it's type. Had a fridge and mic. Tub/shower combo. I was actually impressed. Staff was friendly. The breakfast area was nice and offered the usual fare of 3 hot choices and all the rest you typically see. And plenty of coffee. On our one night stay Betty was in the breakfast area. Very friendly and bust keeping things in order. One thing I particularly appreciated was immediate cleaning of tables between guest visits to the area (Betty). If you find yourself in Tonopah, this is the place to stay. They do have an outdoor pool, too. Recommended.

"Excellent Choice"
MonsieurPamplemousse, 07 Septembre 2017

The hotel was a welcome oasis in the midst of the desert. Very quiet, comfortable, well-appointed rooms. Generous full breakfast. Helpful staff. We have decided that this will be our "gateway" stop coming and going from Vegas on future trips in this region of Nevada-California.

"Tonopah, a town in the desert."
Lyle D, 06 Septembre 2017

Stayed at the Hi- Desert Best Western Tonopah Nevada for business. For comfort and amenities it is the best stay in the area. The staff are very helpful, pleasant and knowledgable. They rooms are nice, beds are soft, and there are fresh baked cookies daily.

"Nice older Motel with good breakfast "
Jochi_KN, 04 Septembre 2017

The motel is a little older and has a nice flair. All seems to be well maintained und the stuff is really friendly. Good wifi connection to the busy world outside is offered. The rooms are big with TV, fridge and a desk. The bathroom was small but big enough for me. There is a pool outside next to the main street. The breakfast war really good and the lady who was on duty made a really good job. Thank you. You made my day.

"unexpected"
jessicanQ7218AH, 03 Septembre 2017

instead of checking in to a local motel/hotel, wanted to stay at a franchise hotel with known name brand, expected standards of other hotels in the same chain, Front Desk agent was less than friendly to check us in without a reservation, she treated us like an extra work load to her duties, at check out, the front desk agent was less friendly than the lady who checked us in the nigth before, what pleasantly surprised us was the breakfast lady who was very friendly, accommodating, smiled consistently, and looked like she really cared about the guests

"A night in a small desert town"
Bill C, 31 Août 2017

While traveling through Nevada, my wife and I spent a night in Tonopah Nevada. The hotel is conveniently located on the main street of the town. There is a nice brew pub across the street that is easy to get to. We had a pizza delivered to our room from a small mom and pop pizza place that was very good.

"Nice hotel for a small desert town"
jshort91, 30 Août 2017

It was probably the nicest hotel in town. Very small town in the middle of nowhere. Unless passing through I would not recommend going to Tonapah. It was clean and very nice for such a small Desert town.

"A Clean Hotel With a Good Breakfast"
John J, 26 Août 2017

While traveling to and from Oregon, my wife and I stayed at the High Desert Inn on both legs of our journey. We thought it nice enough that we stopped here on our return drive. Wish I would have made reservations as the rate was very high and they only had two rooms with king beds available. Check in was busy at the time we checked in and there was only one desk person on duty on our travels north and two on our return trip. The folks were courteous and helpful and we had no issues with check in or the employees. I am pretty critical in what I believe any hotel/motel should have and its cleanliness and I was pleased that our rooms both times were clean, no stains, decent shower heads with comfy beds. My only issue, if anyone has ever read any of my other reviews, is with the standard under window or in wall HVAC units which are always noisy. These were no exception but not as noisy as others. In inspecting the rooms, I found nothing negative to take a picture of. Breakfast was very complete with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, waffles and everything else for a complete breakfast choice; cereals, oatmeal, milk, juices, pastries and etc. We paid $122 for the first night we stayed for a room with two queens and $154 on our return trip for a king room. (Make reservations. Don't get stuck like us). For one king bed, this is pretty high, IMHO, for this hotel after room and tax. Maybe $132 or so, ($10 more that the initial rate), would have been fair. But, it was a decent place and we needed a room on our return trip and we were there needing a room.

"Great place to stay"
Molly H, 23 Août 2017

Very clean, updated, and with a great breakfast. Fast internet and very accommodating. I travel a lot for work and each room has a mini fridge and microwave with is great. The workout room is small but clean and well equipped. Very well kept hotel.

"Great Place in a Remote Location"
johnallend, 21 Août 2017

We arrived early and enjoyed the pool and did forty lengths. The lobby had coffee and fresh baked cookies. The room was nicely done and clean. The Inn is located within easy walking of the historic downtown and several great eating establishments. The breakfast was superior.

"Great value"
Rick C, 21 Août 2017

What a great find. This hotel is updated with a great staff. The breakfast was really good. I would suggest planning a head and making a reservation because several guests were turned away because they were full.

"Most updated hotel in town???"
oldprune, 20 Août 2017

All I wanted was clean comfortable room - and I got it. This is our first time passing through this part of Nevada. Didn't know anything about the history of town but it is small and run down. Most hotels seems to have Casinos and smoky. Best Western was pretty new, bright and clean - contemporary decor and color scheme makes this hotel looks more clean. Room was pretty good size, quality amenities and usual package (Mic/Refig/Wifi/hair dryer/coffee maker) in room. Bed was comfortable and quiet. There was a local brewery located just across the street where you can eat dinner. We bought some beers to bring home (not cheap - 12 pack is almost $50). Looks like there were many old mines around. Small town - limited selection on restaurants. It was very nice place to stay.

"Okay for One Night"
2AZPeeps, 15 Août 2017

The outside of the building, lobby and reception are nice. Lobby was updated. The rooms, however, have that "tired" look. We were only there for one night -- a stop over. I would go elsewhere next time when going through this area.

"Best hotel on my roadtrip across the country"
508tobyr, 15 Août 2017

This hotel was so clean and the staff was so kind and friendly. The decor was very upscale-looking and the pool was just lovely. The staff really went the extra mile for us. There were nice touches that made us feel very welcome and comfortable, like cookies and board games in the lobby, and glass glasses wrapped in paper instead of plastic ones wrapped in plastic in our room. We would definitely stay here again.

"Very comfortable with great breakfast!"
Judith S M, 14 Août 2017

Always like staying here when passing through Tonapah - highly recommend! The beds are soft, thr rooms are clean and the free breakfast is a bonus. The pool is a little small and right on the highway bUT other than that no complaints.

"happy Camper"
87flea, 13 Août 2017

We have been on the road off and on since June 24th Our last leg of the trip and only 3 hours from home we just had to stop. This was not planned. What a treat to to be treated so kindly by the staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. AND to top it off what a great little town to spend some time in! A bit out of the way however if you find yourself on the road don't miss this.

"Great Stop"
Sheila A, 12 Août 2017

Newly furbished facility with friendly, helpful employees. Breakfast room is comfortable with a variety of food items. Room was nicely decorated. WiFi was very good. Manager was very cooperative in arranging for a requested room location.

"Exceeded expectations"
nancynew, 09 Août 2017

Stayed one night driving from Las Vegas to South Lake Tahoe and one night on return trip. Everything very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Updated room included small fridge and microwave; very good mattresses. Tasty freshly baked cookies in lobby. Always nice to have a pleasant surprise. Had dinner both nights at Pittman Diner in Mizpah Hotel down the street. Was OK and that was fine. Had to give instructions on how to make gin martini...

"Modern hotel in the middle of no where"
Jo W, 09 Août 2017

Very nice hotel. Especially liked the modern eco flavor. Your key card controls the lights and A/C. If you are out, the A/C in the room is lowered so energy is not wasted. When you return it is turned back on. The breakfast was the best we had on an 8 day trip.

"Nice stop while traveling"
Rockerwife, 08 Août 2017

The hotel feels newish. The rooms were clean and well laid out; I liked the second sink outside bathroom. Bed was comfy. Was grateful for the pool but it's right on the highway so was loud (room wasn't noisy tho) and you had to ask at front desk for towels. Breakfast was like most hotels in this price point but the breakfast room was big and accommodated everyone. No elevator which didn't matter to us but might to some.

"Best Western Hi-Desert"
tomrC8324JJ, 08 Août 2017

I've been staying at the BWHD for about 40 years; usually a week or so at a time. I'm self employed and can stay anywhere that I want. I choose the BWHD. The remodel is very nice. Quiet comfortable rooms, excellent beds. More than adequate breakfast. And the nightly cookies are killers.

"Best Hotel in the area"
stewart_mchugh, 08 Août 2017

Stopped here after driving through Yosemite on the way to Vegas. We were concerned with the appearance of most of the hotels on the short strip but this was put to rest when we saw the Best Western sign. The place is old but well maintained. It has all the facilities you need on an in-between locations stop over. Laundry (coin operated), pool and fitness centre.

"Nice surprise!!"
janrU6903QH, 03 Août 2017

A gem in Tonopah! We're Loyal BW customers and this one didn't disappoint! Nice updated room. We stayed in the back building. Comfy beds , good shower! The breakfast room was one of the nicest we've ever seen!! Huge assortment. Good eats Well stocked and constantly cleaned!! Manager even came around and talked to customers in the breakfast room asking how their stay was!! They are certainly on top of things!! Also good cookies in the lobby!!

"Surprise in the desert."
freddielm, 02 Août 2017

While traveling through desert, we were very surprised to find such a nice motel. Very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating. Helpful. And they accepted our furry family member. I appreciated the environment aspect.

"Impressive gem!"
john384045, 30 Juillet 2017

Unexpected gem in gritty historical Tonopah, Nevada! Local multi-generational family-owned. Nice people. Updated look and features are top notch. Lot of attention to small details. Perhaps most comfortable bed ever! Quiet, in spite of adjacent to highway. Nice clean well maintained pool. Would highly recommend!

"Best Best Western experience"
Heike N, 29 Juillet 2017

Newly remodeled Best Western hotel. For American standards, even the breakfast was good (however, plastic dishes and cutlery as is normal in the States but unthinkable in Europe in a decent hotel). Very clean, nice small pool and hot tub area.

"Not 100% pet friendly"
955janettei, 28 Juillet 2017

To leave your pet in your room unattended will cost you an additional $150 this is not "Pet Friendly" and should be stipulated. My wife and I could not enjoy any of the amenities together. That Sucked !!! La Quinta Hotels are much more pet friendly.

"Totaly Bad Experience"
863terin, 24 Juillet 2017

We were overcharged by $44 on our room period and $5 more than the price on the receipt. The wrong credit card was charged and had it not been, I wouldn't have even got the breakdown which didn't add up to the credit card charges. They did reverse the charge on one card and recharged the correct card but they gave me no explanation what so ever on the new receipt for why they overcharged me $44 in the first place. Just got that in an email with no note, no apology, no thank you, NOTHING, just the attachment. Left several messages addressing the issues, never got a call back. Had a horrible experience at the Tonopah Best Western this past weekend. Poor service, very UNattentive staff, was double charged for the room and now I can't get a hold of the hotel. Called and got the answering machine...Really? Nobody answering the phones at the front desk? An answering machine??????? Front Desk staff was horrid, most of them didn't even look up when guests entered the lobby and nobody EVER got a hello from daytime or afternoon staff, night staff was at least friendly but had no clue what his sundry prices were, there were less than 20 items avaliable, he had to fumble to find the book. Breakfast Breakfast on Sunday was served cold...Potatoes and omletts....sausage was NOT very high on quality, tasted funny. Hallways smelled musty, pool opened two hours later than specified and when we called and asked when it would be open they said, "I don't really know, maybe sometime around 11. MAYBE???? No brochures to give guests a peek at local areas of interest an it's a historic mining town...staff offered no suggestions and seemed put off when I interrupted her "social time"; she had a friend visit her at work. We also found a pill tucked between the sheets of the sleeper sofa which makes me believe that they don't change their sheets, they just make up the bed. Vending machines were spotty for service, sometimes being completely turned off and when they worked, you couldn't get what you tried to purchase, things were mislabled. We didn't use the housekeeping services until after check out but the housekeepers were friendly and always said hello or good morning. We paid $137.00 per night plus tax........NEVER AGAIN! Very dissapointed in Best Western.

"A Tonopah gem!"
Faryal A, 23 Juillet 2017

Well appointed rooms, friendly staff, fresh baked cookies and an excellent hot breakfast! We loved our stay here and plan on returning again! A plus for comfort, cleanliness and outstanding service! Excellent!

"Very nice and comfortable motel."
jackfrost0904, 22 Juillet 2017

This Inn is conveniently located on the main highway through town. I had a room in the back, so road noise was never an issue and in general, the motel was very quiet. Room was good sized and comfortable and clean. Staff was very nice. It is easy to walk to downtown. There's ample parking and I was able to park in the back, with good access to my room. Would use again.

"Good hotel for the area."
nivana, 15 Juillet 2017

Nice quiet hotel for the area. Great breakfast. Had an issue with the room refrigerator not working which was not resolved to my satisfaction without complaining. Front office lady, in my option , was not very welcoming on my visit and did not make me feel a valued guest. Breakfast was very good and had a good stay once my room was changed. Problem would not prevent me staying in the future

"Much more than I expected"
mikkivlach, 14 Juillet 2017

Stayed here one night of our vacation and showed up with no reservation. This place is so much more than it appears from the outside. Lovely commons areas. Nice clean, big rooms. Laundry and outdoor pool. Superb staff and the best breakfast of our trip! We were traveling by motorcycle and decided to lighten our load and ship somethings home. The staff helped us in every way and sent an email to us the very next day letting us know that our package was on its way! If you stay here try the BBQ place across the street. Excellent smoked turkey sandwich and friendly staff. And again, it's unassuming from the outside but modern and inviting inside. Highly recommend this hotel!!!

"Best Western Hi-Desert Inn, Tonopah, NV"
Thomas M, 14 Juillet 2017

This is truly an exceptional hotel and I have stayed there many times over 6 years. Very friendly and helpful staff. The quality of a BW Premier Hotel at a regular BW Hotel rating. I highly recommend this hotel.

"great stay"
SNG56, 12 Juillet 2017

Stayed here for one night en route to Vegas. Clean spacious room. Wifi worked very well. Breakfast was excellent, eggs, potatoes and bacon along with lots of other things. Staff very pleasant. You can also walk across the street to the Tonopah Brewery which has great brews and bbq.

"Great place to end a long drive!"
Bea M, 11 Juillet 2017

At $117 including a pool, full breakfast, and our dog the Best Western was a great stop on our long drive from Las Vegas to Tahoe. It rose like the sun over the horizon. The welcoming hot coffee and cookies in the super clean lobby was a great greeting. The first room was tainted with a pervasive cleaner smell but we were quickly moved to a room with a more normal smell. Spacious room and great staff.

"Clean, Comfortable, Attention to Detail"
Lyle P, 11 Juillet 2017

My five star rating is to honor the attention to detail of the management. We stayed there on the first night of a three-day, two-night, long, hard-driving road trip. Tonopah itself is kind of a dusty mining town of historic interest, situated in the high Nevada desert at above 6000 feet in elevation. It is convenient place to stop in a very rural, sparsely populated region. The community's people are welcoming and accommodating. From the outside, the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn (BW) is a plain, non-descript, motel-like, two-story facility with no elevator, that is however conveniently located on the main highway and within walking distance of the main business area. The lobby is small, but welcoming, and has a small, clean, lounge, which includes 24 hr access to free cookies, coffee, and water, and also has a few computers for customer use. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and are well-appointed with furnishings, toiletries, and food/drink equipment. The included breakfast buffet had a variety, quality and physical access, which equaled or was superior to many more famous chain hotels found in more populated centers. It is clear that the management pays attention to details and has trained a staff which fulfills their chosen mission. To underscore these points, I will contrast BW with the facility (not identified here) in which we stayed on the following night. The second place was a large, modern, well-situated building, with a very impressive lobby area. Its breakfast room was also large and well furnished. And of course it carried a higher price. However, when objectively comparing the actual guestrooms, I consider the BW rooms to be superior. This was observable in a number of small details, but I will just mention one here. For hanging clothing the second place had an open area with a rod and a few hangers, like rooms in many or most mid-level chain hotels, while BW had an actual enclosed, attractive wooden closet. I also found BW's breakfast buffet to be superior in quality and the food was laid out in a way more convenient for self service. Of course the Tonopah BW does not have a five-star building, nevertheless it deserves much praise for the management's making the best of what they have to afford clean, comfortable, convenient accommodations for their guests.

"Best Hotel in Tonapah"
Joe E, 10 Juillet 2017

Good clean rooms, great breakfast, and centrally located between Nevada's two largest cities. We usually stay a Beatty because it's closer to Vegas, but were too tired to get there. So we tried the Best Western and we were pleasantly surprised (I don't know why we were surprised, we stay at BWs all the time) with it great rooms, service and breakfast. This may be our new "in-between" hotel.

"Desert stopover"
Lora C, 09 Juillet 2017

This is a convenient place to stay for a night. It's certainly not high end, but the bed was comfortable, the room was clean and updated, and the breakfast was good. We had a room off the main road, so our room was also quiet. My daughter also appreciated the cookies and drinks at check-in.

"Such a welcoming place"
beadqueen, 06 Juillet 2017

We stopped here to break up a trip from Lake Tahoe to Las Vegas. We were greeted by the nicest ladies at the front desk. We were a little early, but they managed to get us into a room, without a long wait. We asked them for dinner ideas and they told us about a local Mexican restaurant that was good. The room was clean and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was large and had Pantene shampoo and toiletries. It was extremely hot so we used the pool. It was clean and cool and was a nice way to cool off in 100+ weather. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioner wasn't too noisy for us to sleep. We had a good night's sleep before heading out to Las Vegas. A number of the motels in Tonopah, did not look very appealing. I would definitely recommend staying here if you need to stop in Tonopah.

"Stay in elko"
matthewhH2914TL, 05 Juillet 2017

Excellent hotel with helpful staff. Rooms are nice. Breakfeast is good with different options. Wireless internet works well. Very clean rooms. Had no problems with the hotel or service. I would stay here again.

"Clean and convenient"
Lauren S, 04 Juillet 2017

We had a great stay. Rooms are clean, cookies for the kids in the afternoon were a nice treat and the breakfast made it a great stay. The pool was nice and refreshing and the pool towels were nicely stocked. The staff is wonderful as well.

"Great Stopover"
applegar, 01 Juillet 2017

Clean, quiet, efficient - a great place for a stopover while motoring through Nevada. Strong, free Wi-Fi, excellent free breakfast, good location for a walking tour of the town and a visit to the mining museum.

"Don't stay here"
Z4143HNdennisc, 01 Juillet 2017

This place is a dump, No elevator, 2nd floor room a block away in a seperate building Small 5X5 bathroom, the door almost hits the toilet, light switch behind door. Sheets did not fit bed, would not stay on. Found a big clump of black hair stuck to the shower wall. Breakfast was poor, not enough room for guests, overcooked eggs The maintenance crew was painting the walkway, but no signs or barricades to warn us, so we ended up with gray paint on our shoes. Staff was unknowledgeable and pretty much useless. You would be better off at the budget motel a block away. It may not be any better, but at least it is only 29.95 Our room had window that looked directly into the neighbors living room about 10 feet away.

"Best Best Western in the U.S."
T9532MLjosephg, 26 Juin 2017

Outstanding service, clean rooms, incredible staff. The staff are polite and considerate in every interaction. The workout room has everything working in top condition. The breakfast is better than any other hotel I have been to.

"OOhh the breakfast!!"
momojo225, 26 Juin 2017

We stay at this hotel every time we are in Tonopah. The rooms are clean and the amenities are upgraded. And, now, you have The Tonopah Brewery right across the street!! When we walked in to eat our breakfast, it was great. The set up is easy to get around, and the food was GOOD! Thank you Best Western Hi-Desert Inn.

"We expected less, but got more, much more."
Gayle W, 21 Juin 2017

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights. We had the king-bed suite which was actually 1 3/4 rooms on the 2nd floor in the back building. This meant that we had two bathrooms - GREAT! We had an actual room for the seating area with a flat screen TV on the wall (one was in the bedroom as well) as well as the bedroom. The windows opened for a nice evening breeze in the room. Breakfast was always good each morning. I don't like Farmers coffee, so didn't drink any of that. There were always FOUR trays of a variety of cookies at the front desk each evening. We had previously corresponded with Deidra, customer relations, who had sent us pamphlets of the various Tonopah interests, like the Tonopah Historic Mining Park. These were invaluable. Thank you Deidra!

"Overnight Stop"
AJSEF, 19 Juin 2017

I am really pleased with this little diamond in the rough!! I was a little concerned because the exterior looks a little dated, but from the very moment you walk in the door and are greeted by smiling faces and the contemporary interior...know that you made a wise choice. We travel a lot and this was a perfect place for us to stay on our way to Tahoe and are not disappointed!!

"no other choice"
Rolando G, 19 Juin 2017

Hard to access Lobby from Parking area for Older people with Luggage. No elevators for upper floor. If didn't have room on ground floor wouldn't have stayed there. Way over priced. The décor was dated. it was nice enough but for the price expected much better, this was a 39.00 to 59.00 dollar Motel not 114.00.

"Best option in Tonopah"
shantieperkashg, 19 Juin 2017

Large and clean room. Fast WIFI. Nice pool/spa. Small fitnessroom. Free coffee with cookies in the lobby in the afternoon. Breakfast is good with hold and cold options. Staff was friendly. Best hotel in Tonopah!

"Tonopah Hi Desert"
edmuns2017, 14 Juin 2017

I have visited more Best Western than any other hotels and the Hi Desert Inn at Tonopah is my favorite. Rachel Skiles along with her co-workers go out of their way to accommodate and keep the place clean.

"Best Hotel In Area"
Margaret A, 14 Juin 2017

Great reliable Best Western Hotel you know what to expect. Friendly outstanding customer service from staff employees, the internet, pool, many more amenities plus how nice is it that most Best Western Hotels are pet friendly. Love having a good hotel I can rely on for my needs. Book your room today!

"Comfortable for a night in Tonopah"
kenbrad, 12 Juin 2017

We had a room in the "new building" adjacent to the main hotel. The place was booked solid for a Corvette club on a drive from California to Colorado. The cars were cool, but even with so many people around the room was quiet. The room was quite comfortable but the Internet was sloooow. Breakfast was quite good.

"Good Value and Clean Rooms"
John T, 07 Juin 2017

I recently stayed at the Hi Desert Inn in Tonopah, NV for business. The price is good and the service is as well. This is the best place to stay in the local area if you are passing through or there on business.

"Overnight stay"
kim d, 04 Juin 2017

This is ok for an overnight stay, as you would not stay in Tonopah for any longer. Rooms clean and tidy providing a comfortable nights sleep. Unfortunately the pool was not open as stated and the staff on the reception were not very helpful.

"Great place to stay"
hustoncs, 04 Juin 2017

We stayed here after jeeping in the Nevada back country. Checkin was fast the staff very friendly. The rooms are large very clean and very quite. The breakfast the next day was great. Overall a very good place to stay in Tonopah

"Hidden Gem"
PSNfromNorthfield, 03 Juin 2017

After driving all afternoon through the Nevada desert from Northern California, we decided to stop for the night before heading home to Vegas. Hi-Desert Best Western is a hidden gem in the middle of the Nevada desert. We had a beautiful recently updated room, two sinks in the bathroom area, excellent internet connection, a comfortable bed, and nearby restaurants. A great place.

"I would come back several times"

"Clean and up to date motel."
nkay666, 01 Juin 2017

On our second night in Tonapah we stayed at the Best Western. This motel is clean, new and comfortable. The AC worked great, internet was fast, fridge was clean, beds and pillows comfortable, coffee good, everything was as it should be. We were very happy with the service and accommodations here. We would definitely stay here again. The carpet in hallways is the ugliest I've ever seen, but no big deal.

"One night stay on the way to Vegas!"
ronniem252, 01 Juin 2017

Tired from driving and having bad cold at the time the front desk lady upon check in did not properly checked my ID and put me in as a different guest so ended up as no show upon check out. Good thing the morning manager difficultly fixed it in the morning and gaven extra 500 points bonus for my travel. Other than that the stay was pleasant. Slept well and breakfast was excellent considering.

"Nice room, great amenities."
nancyballou, 29 Mai 2017

Enjoyed the fresh breakfast with lots of choices. The room was very clean, bed comfortable. There was coffee, small fridge, microwave. Our room was around the back which was good because we had our two large dogs along and could exit onto the parking lot behind the building. This Best Western is dog friendly and our pets were both comfortable. There was a tasty Chinese restaurant within walking distance, too.

"Friendly staff"
Michelle C, 29 Mai 2017

The staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast bar has extra added items (salsa, cheese). Centrally located to everything. Pet friendly room on the ground floor was a big help. Cookies and coffee upon check in.

"Quiet and peaceful."
johnaL4056YB, 28 Mai 2017

The breakfast was hot and fresh. Staff was as friendly as a trip back to your moms house. They were courteous and helpful with each interaction. The wifi was great. The room was clean and there was plenty of coffee.

"Desert Gem"
Nancy H, 23 Mai 2017

I've stayed at this Best Western a couple of years ago. They've updated the rooms and they are gorgeous. The room was sparkling clean and smelled fresh. We travel with our fur babies and some pet rooms really smell. Not so here. The beds seemed extra comfy.. We only stayed the one night on our way home but if you are traveling thru Nevada and need a place be sure to stop here you will not be disappointed.

"paypal not accepted"
Turk_time, 18 Mai 2017

difficulty with booking. booked this on another major H.com site, received billing verification from paypal, received email confirmation from h.com, but hi desert inn did not honor the reservation. had to pay 20 dollars more when I got there. not a happy camper. been almost a month and no suitable resolution, other than a credit for their h.com website, which I will not be using. hi desert was a clean motel. just triple or quadruple check your reservation when making it online.

"Good place to break a long drive"
Ottawa_retiree, 14 Mai 2017

We stayed at the Hi-Desert Inn on our way up to northwestern Nevada from Las Vegas and on our way back. The room was clean, quiet, and fully functional. However, the pillows were a bit soft for our liking. One problem was an early wake-up call we received on the morning of the second stay. It was scheduled for 5:00 am, but came through a little after 3 am; of course, we weren't pleased and so informed the front desk when we checked out. Otherwise, things went ok. The Mizpah Hotel, which is just down the street, is a good place at which to have dinner while staying at the Hi-Desert.

"Good Place in Tonopah"
Judy S, 10 Mai 2017

This hotel was very nice in all respects. Quiet, clean, room. The staff was great. Lots of cookies in lobby. My request for downstairs room honored. It would be nice if they had more up to date menus for the restaurants in town available in the lobby.

"Very happy!!!!"
anniemF2077AE, 09 Mai 2017

Very happy with my stay, everything was very satisfactory, room was good, breakfast was great. The staff was very professional and friendly. I will stay there again as we have two coy who were welcome and enjoyed it also.

Wife has stayed here a number of times last weekend was my first. Nice room with all the amenities, micro / refrig / coffee maker / extra electrical plug ports / comfy king bed / quiet room / excellent complimentary breakfast. Front desk very nice. A perfect stay, no issues; good nights rest, morning coffee and good starter breakfast. Thank you Best Western - another pleasant stay!

"My experience staying there a few times"
F8289VGmichellew, 26 Avril 2017

The first Time I stayed there there was a very darker looking gentlment so not know his name but still works there,, he did not have a good attitude st all . He used to be there early morning when I would arrive. There was a couple times I decided not to stay there because I knew he was working there. Bad attitude he had! The older gentleman that is there late night early morning is very nice

"Desert fun"
orrick541, 25 Avril 2017

Stayed here after a long day on the road. Great lobby, great room and great breakfast. Rooms were updated and staff was friendly. Truck was safe in parking lot. Lots of outdoor lights to deter theft. Highly recommend this diamond in the rough.

"The Only Place To Stay in Tonopah"
Pans4au, 25 Avril 2017

If you plan the stay in Tonopah and want a clean comfortable room this is the only place I would stay. Help is friendly, WIFI is fast and breakfast is surprising good compared to other Best Western Plus. It is quiet and small lobby sitting area is a good meet up place if your with a group. Plenty of parking so no worries. Nice family atmosphere.

"Great experience."
davidmJ1781EM, 24 Avril 2017

The staff went out of there way to accommodate my wife and I while I was on business. They actually drove her to the store while I was away. Breakfast was great, and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely be back when we are in this area again.

"Great place to stay - clean and quiet."
SactoDiner, 16 Avril 2017

Stayed here during Easter weekend, Very clean, quiet, nice room. We had a queen suite, which is very roomy and nice. Right across the street is the Tonopah Brewery Tap room. Ask for a room in "the other building, away from the parking lot"

"Good Night Sleep"
TimminsPeople, 08 Avril 2017

This is a great place to stay. Quiet and clean. Fast internet. Good variety of Breakfast items. I'll consider this hotel again when I'm back up in the area. It's also close to a few restaurants and bars.

"Great place for pet owners"
pamelawX8755ZY, 08 Avril 2017

This is the 2nd time we've stayed in this hotel with our dog. Extremely pet friendly and accommodating. The even have frozen food for purchase as you aren't allowed to leave your pet alone in the room. Room is supplied with microwave and frig so very convenient. My only complaint would be poor areas to walk the dog. It would be nice to have a little grass somewhere nearby.

"Surprisingly Nice Hotel in middle of nowhere"
jenniferpJ9729PF, 31 Mars 2017

I was in Tonopah for a conference and pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was. The staff was incredible, It was pricier thn anywhere in town - but I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Room seemed new, bed was very comfortable, fitness room small but complete, breakfast better than most and staff top notch.

"Clean, quiet, great bed."
Judy M, 30 Mars 2017

We spent one night here between Winnemucca and Las Vegas. Very clean and quiet hotel. Room was better than expected for this town! very comfortable bed, free wi-fi, nice shower. Pet accepted. Hot breakfast included.

"Older Hotel"
WeRTravelbugs, 28 Mars 2017

We Love the little town of Tonopah! Wonderful artifacts just not enough time to see. Stayed at the Best Western. Check in was great! Delightful young lady took good care of us. We had king size beds, very clean room. This is a very old Best Western. Thin walls so you can hear everything. Our friends even got earplugs on the night stand next to their beds! They have done a pretty good job trying to update the hotel. The breakfast was under par for a Best Western. Dried up potatoes, powdered eggs . Coffee was fine and they did supply you with bread products if you wanted toast. There was also hot salsa if you wanted to hide the taste of the eggs. Best thing was the hot coffee and fresh cookies in the afternoon.

"Surprising find in Tonopah, Nevada"
terib208, 28 Novembre 2016

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Clean comfortable and nicely furnished rooms, helpful professional staff, and overall a great hotel. The complementary continental breakfast was excellent, and fresh chocolate chip cookies in the lobby. Can't get much better than that for the price and I've stayed at some upscale establishments that were no better.

"Traveling through to Reno, stayed in Tonopah."
debrab57, 25 Novembre 2016

The trip from Phoenix is just too long for us, so we decided to stay in Tonopah, NV. I have been staying at Best Westerns for many years. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave us suggestions on where to go for dinner. There are several other motels in this town. The hotel is older, but has been renovated and looks fine. Our room was clean. The bed was a little too hard for me, but so many motels have too hard beds anymore. We will stay there again if we are going that way.

"Always a good stay"
Fifi4facts, 20 Novembre 2016

We stay at least 4 times a year at this location. It always provides us a comfortable night's rest and a good breakfast before getting back on the road The breakfast food assistant was very pleasant to everyone. We have had a different person serving in this capacity each time we have stayed but everyone of them has been great I have only one complaint...the shower curtain smelled very sour when it got wet. I mentioned this to front desk. They said they would change it right away. I said we were on our way out so just make sure it is done before new guests arrive. We will be back in a few months.

"Lovely hotel"
Pete C, 19 Novembre 2016

Not much to say as we only stayed one night. Extremely clean, well maintained hotel. Very good night sleep. Kind of in a very small town but close to gas station, shops etc. Price was fair, only criticism was the breakfast consisted of a hot drink and a cookie!!! I would recommend it, very good!

"Best Hotel around!"
amp_nap, 13 Novembre 2016

I've been staying at this hotel twice a year for the last 9 years. I love it. They remodeled it in the last couple years and it's just gotten better. The breakfast is really good, and perfect for on the go guests. They offer a kind of bag to go if you can't make it to there morning breakfast. The rooms are beyond comfortable and non-smoking. Wish the showers had more pressure, but it's hot, so really no problems. Customer service is top notch and they are good with requests. Excellent stay! I am always satisfied. If you plan on staying, book your room in advanced, especially on a weekend.

"A nice visit in Tonopha"
Elizabeth S, 08 Novembre 2016

After driving long hours it is always nice to come to a place that feels a little like home. At first look the high desert inn does not look like much, but as you walk in the doors you see that this old building is being updated and taken great care of. They have updates planned. The room was wonderful, and the breakfast was one of the greatest Best Western breakfasts that we have ever experienced. My favorite part was that the breakfast had the option of ceramic mugs for coffee; this was a cherry on top of a great visit. These mugs added a home-like touch that impressed me greatly. I hope to get to stay here again one day!

"REMOTE TOWN"
849default, 02 Novembre 2016

This motel is located in Tonopah, NV, which is a small city in the Nevada desert with nothing around it. We were travelling to Arizona and this was a convenient overnight stop. The motel offered all we needed without having any aspects worthy of particular note, other than the staff were very friendly & helpful. Tonopah is not the greatest of towns!!!

"Very nice, more updates planned "
juanita_v, 01 Novembre 2016

This has been our go-to hotel in Tonopah, but I didn't recognize the inside because of the many changes that had been made since our last visit. The room, as always, was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was included, and was better than most continental breakfasts. The renovated breakfast room was very nice.

"Tonopha night"
Ralph C, 01 Novembre 2016

The high desert inn ( Best Western ) was a awesome place to stay. Staff was helpfull, rooms were clean and comfortable and they had a great breakfast. There was no restaurant near the hotel. The staff suggested a good place to eat.

"Best hotel in the area"
Robert M, 29 Octobre 2016

Located across the street from the Tonopah Brewery and BBQ, this Best Western hotel is exceptional. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The internet service was great. The breakfast selections were the best for any hotel we have stayed in anywhere in the U.S. Cookies in the lobby in the evening were a big treat.

"A Surprise Stay"
Mike S, 27 Octobre 2016

We did not know what to expect in the `outback` but this Hotel was a very, very pleasant surprise We did not meet the Manager/Owners but the receptionist could not have been more pleasant or helpful A Breakfast Room and Guest Laundry rooms are provided and a small but comfortable seating area with on-tap coffee and biscuits. Wi-Fi is also provided, although the whole town was `down` on the days that we stopped The room we had was sufficiently spacious and the whole hotel is immaculately clean You will not regret breaking your Desert journey here

"A great Place to Stay"
Roger T, 25 Octobre 2016

Our stay in Tonopah was great - the room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There is a great B.B.Q. restaurant across the street which made the evening very easy and convenient. The breakfast was what is expected with a clean space and the food was tasty.

"Jewel in the Desert"
Sherilyn S, 22 Octobre 2016

While Jason, at the front desk, helped me with some information, two other families checking out stopped to tell him what a fine facitity this Best Western is. Clean, well appointed, good breakfast, a tiny "snack bar" with some food for the evening and local hand made products, and friendly service created a pleasant stay. We highly recommend this Best Western (pet friendly, too) as a stop over. Good breakfast facility (thanks, Pam), quiet rooms even on highway through town, and very comfy bed and pillows! [The outdoor pool was covered for winter.]

"Oasis in the desert"
leroyl827, 22 Octobre 2016

Really a gem in an otherwise remote and uninspiring area. The property is well maintained and adequately staffed, with customer satisfaction obviously an important goal. Great helpful and pleasant staff makes you feel very welcome. Definitely one of the better Best Westerns of many I have visited. We stopped there on the way out on our trip, then made it a point to stay there a second time as we returned home via the same route. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!

"Best Western Tonopah, NV"
Brian S, 18 Octobre 2016

If you are traveling between Las Vegas and Reno, the only place I would stay would be the BW Tonopah, NV. Customer service is excellent and the property is clean. The GM really cares about the customer service and checks with the customer regarding the properties performance standard. I believe this property is one of the best for customer service in the far west.

"Wonderful staff, beautiful hotel"
sandrac54321, 17 Octobre 2016

Many little touches made a big difference. Real, large, coffee cups in the room. Tea bags, as well as coffee. Room was very clean, and nice. Breakfast was good, and my husband said it was the nicest breakfast setup he has ever seen at a hotel- especially appreciated how clean it was. Also, the staff was quite accommodating.

"Road Stop"
K8265NYroberth, 15 Octobre 2016

Traveling from Cedar City Utah to Yosemite National Park, there are few places to stay except Tonopha, NV. There are a number of motels available in the city of varying quality, however the Best Western is one of the best quality motels in town. The facility is clean. The rooms are modern, update, and clean. The breakfast better than can be expected. The staff is helpful and friendly. The cost is worth the stay. I would highly recommend this motel.

"This is the place to stay halfway to Vegas!"
Kristy S, 08 Octobre 2016

Loved this hotel and the staff... very clean nicely decorated hotel with more amenities than I've seen ! Not much open for those of us that arrive late, so nice to see that they have for purchase frozen microwave meals and not the cheap ones, but nice Schwans food.... cucumber water at check in, rooms are beautiful as is the entire hotel. Would like to see the pool open but hopefully next time.

"Best place in town!"
Deb G, 02 Octobre 2016

We stayed in the annex building and the rooms were either new or recently renovated. It was amazingly clean, especially considering all the dust/sand that blows around the desert. Breakfast was the bomb! Huge ceramic coffee mugs-not those tiny paper cups found at most free breakfasts. There was great variety of foods, hot and cold. Each room has refrigerator and microwave. The entire staff was super friendly and accommodating. Hotel is centrally located and walking distance to an Italian family restaurant and local attractions.

"Room small but clean - parking not great"
Carole A, 01 Octobre 2016

Room was small but bed was very comfortable so hardly noticed anything else! Breakfast was good with typical hotel variety of hot and cold options. The only difficulty was in parking our small trailer. We had to park in an empty lot next door to the hotel - just made for a long walk to our room. The good news is that there IS parking for oversize - just not close.

"Best place in town."
User, 25 Septembre 2016

Their staff is absolutely awesome. So many choices for hot or cold breakfast & endless coffee. Motorcycle and truck trailer parking. Clean non-smoking rooms. This is the place I stay when I'm in town!!

"Best Place to Stay in Tonopah NV"
Denise S, 20 Septembre 2016

Always stay here, beds comfortable, staff great and best breakfast choices ever. Travel to Tonopah two times a year and this is always my choice to stay here. Have been staying at this hotel for over 20 years, they have made a lot of improvements.

"Wonderfully pampered"
Johnfar K, 19 Septembre 2016

Every staff member bent over backwards to make our stay totally enjoyable. Working in the service industry is grueling, but these employees seem to genuinely care and take pride in their jobs. The front desk people helped us print out our itinerary; the cleaning service ran out to our car to give us things we'd forgotten in the room; the breakfast crew asked us if we needed anything and served hot eggs and ham up until closing. We were so relieved after a day-long drive and arriving in the middle of the night to fall into an amazingly comfy bed. It was an oasis in the desert!

"Great place to stay"
nkfox, 19 Septembre 2016

We needed somewhere to stay between Reno and Las Vegas rather than drive through the night. This place is a little gem. We were given a room in the annex, it was spotlessly clean and well appointed. The perfect place to rest a weary driver. My wife made the comment that it was the best room we had been in on this trip. The breakfast room in the main building is spotlessly clean with a large selection of hot and cold breakfast options. This is an oasis in the badness that is that is highway 95. Totally recommended.

"very impressive"
Hattie S, 18 Septembre 2016

This is the perfect and almost the only sane place to stop between Reno and Las Vegas! This is a neat funky little town. We had a unexpected fun time. The town, Tonapah Nevada closes down early. I could not believe how clean and well maintained the Best Western Hi Desert Inn was. Be sure to indulge in the free full breakfast they offer in mornings. I was very impressed!

"Great Best Western"
Larry R, 17 Septembre 2016

We were happy to see this Best Western after a really long and hot ride from Yosemite. The staff were great when we checked in and she even recommended a great restaurant. The room was in the annex which was really quiet, clean and very nice. The breakfast was great also, it was well stock with everything you could want for breakfast.

"Excellent overnight"
Michael h, 17 Septembre 2016

We stopped overnight after visiting the Mining museum. Good clean hotel with large rooms and easy parking. Note however that no elevator is available so if you have a problem with stairs and luggage make sure you stay on the ground floor. Otherwise good hotel, coffee and cookies in the lounge and a good help yourself breakfast in the morning. Note also the to be recommended Brew Pub directly over the road!

"Another Great place to stop on the way"
Kathy B, 14 Septembre 2016

We stayed here one night on our way west; It was such a pleasure to find a place that was perfect for us. We were lucky to get a room as it was quite full. The breakfast was wonderful. Lots to choose from and the staff was so friendly. They also had cookies and hot water available for tea before we turned in at night. Clean and comfortable. The place to stop!

"Mirage in the desert!"
Martha P, 12 Septembre 2016

Traveling the south west for several weeks and our hotels were all booked by AAA and they have been great. The Best Western in Tonopa, Nv is a beautiful place. It is totally updated, very clean, great laundry facility and pool with adjoining hot tub are very inviting! The staff is very kind and helpful and the extra touches are very appreciated....real coffee mugs and glasses in the room and 24 hour coffee and infused water in the lobby and cookies too. You won't be disappointed here.

"Great stay"
Vivienne W, 12 Septembre 2016

We stayed here for one night enroute to death valley. We wasnt expecting much for the price but were pleasantly surprised. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with coffee making machine; microwave and fridge. We had lovely soak in the very warm jacuzzi by the pool, you soon forgot u were next to the main road. The lounge area was cozy and welcoming with free coffee, cookies and muffins. There was also refreshing iced cucumber water available, very welcoming after our long drive. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty, with plenty of choice and the cook kept everything topped up. All in all would highly recommend, was much better than some of the pricier hotels we stayed in. Ps try the pizzas from over the road, one of best ever had!!!

"Best Place to Stay in Tonopah"
Michael B, 12 Septembre 2016

We were pleasantly surprised with the recent remodel. The whole place was so clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. The breakfast area and selection were superb, I would highly recommend this as a stopover for those travelling to and from Las Vegas.

"Great place to stay in Tonapah, NV"
Patricia R, 12 Septembre 2016

It's a great place to stay - courteous staff, clean and nice rooms with frig and microwave, good breakfast. Just make your reservations early as it appears to always be in demand. It's a nice place to take a break and relax when travelling across Nevada.

"Clean, Great Breakfast, But Had One Problem"
MissPixie777, 11 Septembre 2016

Stayed here on the way up and back during vacation. When we checked in, we asked for 2nd floor. It was only after she gave us our keys that we learned there was no elevator. Went back and got a ground floor. About two hours later someone opened our door. The front desk forgot to cancel our original room and book the new room. We went to dinner and when we got back our keys didn't work ??. Back to the front desk. On a positive note, I have never seen anyone work harder in the breakfast room than Pam. She never stood still except to ask us if everything was ok. She as so nice and friendly. Wish there were more like her.

"As expected for the price"
Simon F, 11 Septembre 2016

We stayed here for one night in May 16. We were previously notified that the hotel would be undergoing a re fit so weren't surprised when we arrived to see some areas not at their best. Hotel though was fine, clean and the staff were fine. Breakfast was a bit busy and had to wait a few minutes for a table to become free but nothing untoward. Easy to find parking fine

"Good place to stay"
RoxiePotomac, 09 Septembre 2016

We were enroute from Reno to Zion Park and stopped for a night. We were pleased at the size of the king suite, which accommodated us and our adult son, who was in the adjoining room with its own bathroom and Tv and sofa bed. Quiet, clean, all amenities including shower cap which most hotels don't provide. Only complaint was the free breakfast ended at 9 and so we missed it; nowhere do they give the breakfast hours. The receptionist was also unfriendly, they need a better welcomer. But the price was right so we were happy.

"more than meets the eye"
853eleftheriam, 06 Septembre 2016

so much more than what you see on the outside, newly redone, larger rooms, clean, great breakfast options, they have non-dairy items i.e. almond milk, its got a great feeling when you walk in, staff is friendly and responsive, happy to see their GREEN initiative

"Great!"
Jeanelle W, 03 Septembre 2016

Don't let the outside fool you. We pulled up and thought "uh oh!" But the inside was really nice! Our room was very big, even with the king sized bed. Very clean!! I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

"Best night's sleep!"
Heather T, 03 Septembre 2016

I was here with my family and we had a two room suite for one night. The beds were absolutely heavenly!!! I stay at hotels frequently both for business and leisure and this exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

"Still a great place to stay."
Susi P, 31 Août 2016

This was our 2nd stay here this year and again we found the staff to be very friendly and the room, comfortable, open and light. The breakfast, included in the room rate, was terrific with many food choices, including cooked oatmeal. Much appreciated were the ceramic coffee mugs.

"Best in Town???"
MartinandMartin, 29 Août 2016

Staff was helpful, room clean and comfortable with good quality furniture. Breakfast was good. Stayed in Annex. Quiet with little road noise. Internet was very good. The night before checkout, I was surprised to find 3 room charges on my Visa. I called the front desk and was informed that one was for checking-in after 6pm, and the other two??? Later, I found that only one remained.

"Just a good clean property!!!"
John J, 24 Août 2016

This is one of more recent hotels in Tonopah, so if you want updated this is one of the newer ones......clean rooms AC and wifi with breakfast served in the morning!!! Nice to have a bite to eat before you hit the road!! And believe me, Tonopah is in the middle of nowhere. Nice little town though!!

"2nd Time"
wedgewa, 22 Août 2016

Convenient, clean, comfortable, helpful staff, nice breakfast setup. I see other reviews saying it's "old". It is not old. It is just not new. There's a big difference. The Mizpah down the street is old.

"Best Western Hi-Desert Inn, Tonopah, NEVADA"
TheWesterner, 19 Août 2016

It is on Main Street and has easy access on and off the property. It is close to the Post Office, used book store, Mizpah Hotel. The rooms are spacious, the staff courteous, and it includes breakfast. For those of us with mobility issues, be aware there isn't an elevator. I appreciate having such a comfortable place to stay in a small town. One feature of the room I really appreciated was, the vanity with sink outside the bathroom. The bathroom was a full bathroom with vanity, tub/shower, toilet. The vanity and bathroom areas were separate from the bedroom area so there was privacy for anyone getting ready for their day.

"Stay in Tonopah"
Diana K, 17 Août 2016

Nice motel in the middle of the desert. If I travel back this way again, I will definitely stay here. Very pleased with room, the comfort of the beds and the size of the room. Breakfast was very nice. Overall decor was very accommodating.

"My stay in Tonopah Nevada"

I like the Hig Desert and always wanted to spend a night in Tonopah, happ I chose the Best Western. A friendly hotel staff , very helpful. I plan on going back. The hotel is very clean and well provide. The breakfast lady is Great. Jim Rosenbaum Marion, virginia

"Great place to stay!"
Kristin W, 14 Août 2016

This hotel is really clean, and the staff are very nice and helpful. They have a great breakfast in the morning. It is located in the center of town and we were able to talk to some of the places on their walking map. It is also across the street from the Tonopah Brewery which was a great place to eat.

"Pretty good"
Stephanie_Gro, 10 Août 2016

Not the best, but it was pretty good. The hotel as a little old, but the staff was friendly and breakfast was good. The breakfast lady (Pam) did a very good job keeping it clean and stocked. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. It was very very busy because of several tour buses, so the hotel was 100% full. It is a great stopping point on our travels. We will definitely stay here again.

"Good hotel "
Hua O, 10 Août 2016

We were on our way from Vegas to Reno. This was one of the only places that you can stay in between. The hotel is old but clean. Good breakfast with lots of choices. The staff at the front desk was friendly. You can just walk across the street to a local restaurant with local beers. We enjoyed our stay and may come back if we are in the same area.

"Well maintained, lots of room, free breakfast, and a good deal"
Christopher M, 08 Août 2016

We stayed in the 1 king bed suite, which has a separate attached room with a sofa bed in it. This was perfect for our little family traveling through the town, and is reasonably priced. There are two bathrooms with two showers, which is great if you have multiple travelers and you're planning to get going earlier in the morning. The free breakfast is held in a well maintained room, and offers waffles, eggs, breads, bagels, cereals, danishes, sausage, potatoes, juices, milk, and coffee with a variety of flavor pumps. The lobby also had free cookies and coffee in the evenings, and iced tea and ice water at all times. The rooms were very well maintained and clean, with functioning window A/Cs, TVs, microwave, and fridge. The only downside is that there is no elevator in the two-story "annex" building, where our room was located. The hotel is right off highway 95 in the center of town, and is near the Tonopah historic mining park, and across the street from the Tonopah Brewing Company. We didn't use the pool or fitness center, but both seemed to be well maintained. If you're traveling through Tonopah, and need a family friendly place to stay, this is it!

"Great Stay"
Mary H, 06 Août 2016

We had a great stay the beds were comfortable, TV worked, breakfast was good, we had lots of options. The room was clean and they had truck parking for the Uhaul we were driving. The staff was very nice and friendly. I would stay here again that is why I always stay at Best Western's.

"Comfortable hotel, uninspiring surroundings"
Laura G, 05 Août 2016

There isn't much of a choice of hotels in Tonopah. I chose this one because I felt I would be safest here as a single traveler. It was a little pricey, but it is a nice place to say. It's right across the street from a nice restaurant which looks like the only modern place in that tiny town. The front desk was very efficient and the explained how the keycard turns on the air conditioning. They have free coffee and cookies which was nice. There was plenty of places to park. The room was very comfortable and clean. I slept well, and generally liked the hotel. There is not much selection in places to eat. This place is a good stop if you don't want to stop in Vegas.

"Nice hotel"
ovronnaz, 05 Août 2016

Very nice hotel for the price. The rooms are big with room to move around and they are clean. The breakfast is good with many choices of food. We were on a week long trip and stayed in other hotels and this one had the best shower of all.

"Oasis of rest after hectic Las Vegas"
Nancy S, 02 Août 2016

We flew out of Las Vegas and found rest in Tonopah on our way to Yosemite. Nice motel, free fresh baked cookies in the evening with coffee. Nice staff and management who will go by each table in the morning at breakfast to ask if everything is Ok. Although the swimming pool is next to the street it was nice to take a dip and have the pool and jacuzzi for just the four of us.

"Good for an ocernigtj"
sportychick1977, 31 Juillet 2016

Travelling through this part of the state meant accommodation options were limited but this is a good spot with a brilliant pub across the road for dinner. The hotel is being updated and we stayed in the older part which was okay. The hotel is in several buildings which you can park near but have to walk across to the main building for reception, refreshments, breakfast, fitness room etc. The breakfast was good enough and everywhere looked to be being updated so I guess our rooms would have been done quite soon. Twin rooms have two double beds and are spacious.

"A great stopping off place "
Sharron A, 31 Juillet 2016

Usually the hotels you find on your way getting from point A to point B are less than desirable. Just a place to lay your weary head to sleep. But good news this old mining town has a few things to offer. The Best Western was recently and very tastefully remodeled. Great value and as far as simple hotel breakfast included was one of the best ones yet. The staff was very friendly especially in the kitchen. And for dinner I would recommend you walk across the street to Tonopah Brewing Company. Defiantly a great place to break up a long drive.

"Great jewel in the desert"
globetrottting, 26 Juillet 2016

Stopped off at this hotel between Las Vegas and Yosemite, it was a very pleasant stay rooms were clean and well decorated and the lobby was also comfortable. Pool area and amenities were well maintained. The bar opposite the hotel served good food and the staff were also very welcoming

"Historic town with plenty to see."
Ronald H, 25 Juillet 2016

Very impressed with the Best Western in Tonopah, AZ. This is a small mining town with a great history behind it. The Hotel was very nice and the rooms were great. There was some work being done in the halls of the Hotel but the rooms were very nice. Across the street was a brew house and served very good BBQ and a verity of local beers. Down the street is the Mizpaw Hotel which a been returned to it 's 1800 looks with all of the modern needs. Walk through and you will be amazed.

"Great Stay"
Sheila A, 24 Juillet 2016

Newly remodeled within past 2 years. A very attractive facility with great hot breakfast, friendly staff, easy access. This was our 5th stay. Located within walking distance to great restaurant in restored hotel.

"FABULOUS PLACE IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!"
ftvalleyman, 24 Juillet 2016

After a long hot drive, the Best Western appeared almost out of no where! a bit pricey but worth it from a comfort and convenience standpoint. I will stay here again! The front desk folks were all business, they might smile a bit more but they did their job well!

"Wonderful hotel!"
Leona W, 23 Juillet 2016

If your passing through or staying I would recommend this hotel! It was clean and comfortable... The room was stocked well.... Enough towels, enough coffee accessories, plug ins... Had a great night! FYI: Two stories couldn't find an elevator

"A Week in Early July - Comfortable Hotel, Everything You Need"
stacey w, 17 Juillet 2016

We stayed for a week in early July because Tonopah is a destination for some of our local glider pilots who like to soar out of the Tonopah airport. I don't fly - I'm the wife of one of several pilots to convene on Tonapah every year or two for a fly-in. This was my third time staying at the Hi-Desert Inn Best Western, and I can honestly say that with each trip my stay is more comfortable. This year we had the Fourth of July parade assemble in the parking lot next door, which was really fun. Also, the Tonopah Brewery and Tap Room recently opened across the street from the hotel. It has great BBQ and very refreshing draft beers and wine. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable, well staffed and safe. It has free wi-fi (100% reliable), a really nice free breakfast each morning as well as afternoon cookies and coffee in the lobby, VERY accommodating staff who do everything to see that the guests are comfortable, generous sized refrigerators in the rooms, a laundry room for guests, a pool and jacuzzi, a big parking lot that will accommodate a truck and long trailer (with a sailplane). We'll be back in Tonopah in the future and when we return we'll stay at the Hi Desert Inn again. We wouldn't think of going anyplace else....

"Overnight "
shutterbug1976, 16 Juillet 2016

Quick overnight trip while traveling USA. Hotels was slightly over priced in my opinion. I pay 125/night for the Hilton but since there was nothing available it served its purpose. The hotel was clean, only smoking rooms were left so that was quite unpleasant. Also this best western allows pets & there was a dog barking next door for about an hour in the am. They have a typical continental breakfast. Eggs, bacon, toast, juice. The room had a flat screen, refrigerator & microwave. The beds were okay, a little on the soft side. I would recommend this hotel, I would've rated a 4/5 but the smoking room & the barking dog was annoying.

"A great stopping place"
Dianne V, 14 Juillet 2016

We have stopped here for the last 2 years to break up our trip from Phoenix, AZ to Tahoe City, CA. Great spot and make us feel very welcome after a 9 hour drive. We get the family suite (2 rooms) for a great price. Breakfast is perfect before we leave early in the am. Now we need to find a Best Western going back (hopefully not as far as Las Vegas but past Tonopah)

"Decent Stay in Desert Town"
Bob H, 13 Juillet 2016

Tonopah was our overnight stop between Sedona and northern CA. A formerly bustling mining town has fallen on hard times but is making some improvements. This was a fine motel, with spacious rooms, refrigerator, micro. Breakfasts included hearty hot fare--this is the motel chosen my construction/trade workers on the road. A nice brew pub/BBQ is just across the street.

"Great stay and would stay again"
shock43, 13 Juillet 2016

We finally tried the Best Western on our trip through Tonopah, town of few choices, and were not disappointed. We had a queen size room in the back building on the second floor away from the neighborhood street, AARP rate. The room was updated and very clean. There were quite a few outlets including a charging station on the nightstand. The refrigerator worked well and had a small freezer department. We did not use the microwave which also had two outlets. The bed worked out great, the pillows were very comfortable. I particularly liked the vinyl covered easy chair, an attractive pattern and very clean! The window had a privacy and black out curtain. The air conditioner worked well, but was a bit on the loud side. The bathroom was small, but with a separate sink area which worked out great for us. There was a coffee maker with giant porcelain! coffee cups, loved that. Check-in was fast, one of the clerks could have been friendlier. We liked the pm cookies. Check-out went well, also. There were quite a few choices for breakfast with great coffee in porcelain cups! We enjoyed the pool after a long day's drive. Would definitely stay here again.

"Small town"
see3132, 11 Juillet 2016

We stayed in Tonopah on our way from Ely to Death Valley. Tonopah is not a nice town at all (sorry Tonopah!). We only stayed one night .... But the hotel was OK. It seemed to be in the process of a makeover. The hallway was smelly and depressing but there were signs posted to say it was in the process of being done over. We checked in after dark and the room itself at first seemed a little basement-y (we stayed on ground floor).... But in the morning sunlight it was bright and more inviting. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. My only complaint was that both of the sinks had slow drains. Really slow. That grosses me out, but other than that the room was fine. My kids swam in the pool and had fun. This hotel is probably your best bet in Tonopah if you want a nice clean room with a comfy bed.

"Best place to stay"
mauigirl95, 10 Juillet 2016

The room was very nice. Had a rather big refrigerator, microwave that had 2 outlets for charging. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast in morning, Belgium waffles, fruit, Danish, cereal. Swimming pool and hot tub nice.

"Middle of nowhere"
John I, 10 Juillet 2016

We were skeptical to stay here after driving through the desert for MILES. We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and this wonderfully quaint, small town. The hotel is under renovation, but that didn't stop them from making it a very pleasant experience. I was sad we were going to miss the 4th of July activities we heard so much about.

"First time in Tonopah."
PokeSnaza, 06 Juillet 2016

This was our first visit to Tonopah. Hotel was easy to find & check in was fast! They are remodeling & was not inconvenient at all. Used our LE discount & got a roll away bed and the price was still a deal. Great pool area. Within walking distance to food & other places of interest in town. Go ghost adventures town!

"Best Choice in Tonopah"
southwest_traveller9, 03 Juillet 2016

I've stayed here a number of times over the years. They're doing a nice job of renovating the hallways and common areas which makes for a more pleasant stay. Although the pool is small it is nice to have available as a cooling off option on a warm summer day. My room was on the first floor and I was graced with considerate neighbors on both sides of me and above me. Thin walls have been an issue in the past so a little luck never hurts. There were a couple of stains on the carpet that ought to be cleaned but otherwise my room was just fine. I loved being able to make the room nice and cool for sleep on the very comfortable bed. TV selection was OK. The free wi-fi was reasonably fast for a hotel. My rate was very reasonable. Overall, I was very satisfied with my most recent stay.

"Nice Place But Front Desk Person Unhelpful"
charlesast, 03 Juillet 2016

This is perhaps the best place to stay at in Tonopah with nice rooms, presentable breakfast and other amenities. That being said we did have some difficulty with the staff that manned the front desk, and especially, the night clerk. The problem that we encountered after we had checked into our room is that we found the toilet to be not working and plugged-up. So, naturally, we notified the front desk of the problem and was informed that the maintenance person would take care of the problem......some time soon. Hours passed and no maintenance man appeared, and actually, never appeared by the time that we checked out at about 8:00AM. We did speak to the same front desk (night clerk) more than once and received the same assurance of assistance in a rather rude manner. Not a good experience.

"Loved it! "
wagnerderivative, 03 Juillet 2016

This small mining town was a nice stop for our drive from Colorado to California. I am so happy we decided to stay at the Best Western! The room is spacious. The fitness room is very nice with top of the line equipment and individual sleek tvs for most of the machines. After my workout, the pool was divine! Perfect temp and perfect size. A quick dip in the hot tub relaxed my muscles for a comfortable sleep in a cozy bed. In the morning, the breakfast had a great variety, including omelettes and bacon. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

"Best place to stay in townn"
Judy P, 03 Juillet 2016

Not a lot of choices for overnight travelers, but this Best Western was top notch. Great staff, friendly upon arrival and throughout our 1 night stay. East ck in/out. Very modern front desk and lobby and the rooms were quite nice. Enjoyed having a 'fridge to keep stuff cold. It was HOT outside. Even had a special place just for motorcycles to park. THANK YOU. Breakfast server was INCREDIBLY attentive. She "knew" when something was out or needed replenishment just by listening ...

"Best for the money"
R P M M, 30 Juin 2016

This hotel has all the amenities you would need for a trip. The room was nice and spaciest with a very comfortable bed. The staff was very helpful, professional and friendly. I especially was in communication with Jason who took care of my every needs. you can't go wrong with this Best Western. The Hi-Desert Inn is pet friendly for those of you traveling with animals.

"Nice Clean and I was early!"
Joy P, 27 Juin 2016

Thanks for getting me into my room early! Enjoyed your pool as I waited. Best Western indeed! Just across the street from the local brewery so who could ask for more, from an Oregonian in Neveda? I would certainly stay here again!

"Nice hotel"
John D, 27 Juin 2016

Nice hotel to stop during a trip to check out the town of Tonopah, the staff is friendly and the rooms are clean, some remodeling work has the hall feel unfinished, but everything is clean and well cared for

"Excellent Breakfast - real eggs"
kariedi, 26 Juin 2016

The hotel is going through a minor renovation with new doors and paint otherwise I would give it five stars. The new doors will be a great improvement as I heard every word of conversations going on in the Hallway at 7 a.m. The room was comfortable, generally quiet, good wi-fi, great staff who are very friendly and helpful and excellent breakfast - real eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, yogurt, juice, coffee, tea, danish and more. It is within walking distance of the Mizpah Hotel (and their restaurants), and a Tap Room across the street, and a pizza place is catacorner. I will definitely stay here again.

"Mike Chase"

Pretty good value. Nice pool, friendly staff, clean rooms. Beds a a bit soft, TV resolution was fair, excellent location. Quiet area, Cookies were delicious. A 200 character minimum is someones idea of a good idea?? Why, I have said all I want to say, you asked me to rate my experience, then you require me to make it longer then I want to make it, that makes no sense.

"One night stay"
thespit, 25 Juin 2016

We decided to stop at this best western since it was halfway through our vacation trip. It is a decent place to stay. The beds are clean and the room is roomy. We got two queen beds for four of us. The hotel is under renovation so the halls are in process of either getting painted or wallpapered. The room like it has been updated. It has a fridge and microwave. There is a drywall or dusty smell. It reminds me of cat litter but there is none to be found. The town is small. Overall, if I visited this town again, I will stay here.

"Surprisingly pleased"
Xochipilli, 23 Juin 2016

I didn't expect much from a hotel in a small former mining town in the middle of nowhere, but was surprisingly pleased by this facility. The cookies in the lobby were welcoming and the breakfast excellent. I would have loved to explore the area.

"Pleasant Find"
Paul R, 22 Juin 2016

Found this hotel online as about half way between Lake Tahoe and Vegas. Great staff, beautifully refurbished rooms. Historical town. Totally an unexpected fine in a town that has a lot of interesting history

"Way better than the clown hotel"
Chellendag, 22 Juin 2016

When driving into town we started to worry. We passed closed and dilapidated hotels. Also a clown-themed hotel. Then, like a mirage, we saw this one. We were so happy. The hotel is undergoing some work, so the hallways aren't great. The room itself was a great surprise. Comfortable beds and very clean. There is free breakfast and its across the street from a great BBQ place.

"Great experience"
jrroussy, 22 Juin 2016

Have stayed at this Best Western before and was very pleased so stayed again and was not disappointed. The beds are very comfortable and the room was clean. They are very dog friendly which is a plus.

"Passing thru"
Ridefree73, 20 Juin 2016

We had been driving all day and Tonopah was the closest place with an open room. The room was clean and comfortable. There is remodeling in progress but didn't affect our stay. Not bad for the price. It's close to where they meet for the tours of the mines.

"Surprise in the desert"
674ronaldg, 20 Juin 2016

Excellent facility in every respect - will certainly book again if the opportunity presents itself !! The problem is location in that Tonopah, NV is not especially convenient to most travel destinations.

"Smokers Dream"
Norman F, 13 Juin 2016

This is a very nice hotel that is being destroyed by smokers. The rooms have been remodeled and are very nice and clean, except even though it was non-smoking room, it smells like smoke. Halls were under construction, but clean. Smoke smell is everywhere. Lastly, there is no elevator, so if you have a lot of luggage or can't do stairs, you may want to request a first floor room. Bed was comfy. TV and appliances were new and quite.

"Great people, great service"
Susan S, 09 Juin 2016

We stayed at the Best Western in Tonopah while on the way to Yosemite. Right before driving into Tonopah, the low tire pressure light came on. We had a screw in a tire, but due to the late hour, we had to wait until the next day to get it fixed. The tire couldn't be repaired and there was not a replacement tire available. Our car rental company sent us a replacement car, but that required a 5 hour delay to our leaving town. The staff at the Best Western was very helpful. They gave us a late checkout and then let us hang out in the lobby - with all of our luggage - until the car arrived. We even had pizza delivered and ate in the lobby. The staff was very accommodating during our unexpected adventure, and they helped make the situation a bit better. Regarding the hotel, the room was great, fully stocked with plenty of towels, cups, and extra pillows. And the breakfast was great!

"High Desert Inn"
marilyns40, 09 Juin 2016

wonderful hotel in a small mining town in Nevada. Was very clean and the room was larger than usual. The location is in the center of town and several places to eat are located close by. Fresh cold drinks at check in what a great idea. The breakfast was nice and well maintained. The big coffee mugs in the room were muck nicer than paper cups. Highly recommend this lovely inn.

"Mediocre motel"
takki2, 08 Juin 2016

This motel might have gotten a better review if we hadn't been put in the annex on our second visit. The rooms there are very poorly designed: you walk in to find the wash basin on your left, and on your right a tiny room with a toilet and bathtub. The entry cards had to be put in repeatedly to work, and this, even after being "refreshed" at the desk. The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests, and very crowded. Very ordinary offerings.

"7000 feet and climbing"
WillandKate_11, 08 Juin 2016

The High Desert Inn, Tonopah is at 7000' elevation but if you try to exercise like you do at sea level the thin air will become very apparent. We like Tonopah. There is a ruggedness to it not seen in the low lands. The very nature of this desert mining community speaks of self reliance. The room was comfortable and clean, the king bed was very good and we liked the powerful shower. The breakfast area was exceptional and Pam was a treasure of efficiency and information. Our room was quiet and the ambiance of this old West town was appreciated. We misplaced our traveling safe key and the BW recommended Jeff Galli. We got our safe open with a new key and he worked through a troubling mistake in the manufacturers paperwork. He figured out their mistake and made a one of a kind key for us. Now that is service. OoRah! He's a Marine Viet-Vet too, a "doc" no less and that's saying something.

"Very nice place to stay"
280butchc, 07 Juin 2016

Nice hotel, very quiet, friendly staff and great breakfast. Bed was very comfortable. I didn't use the pool but it looked clean and well taken care of. Next time I am in the area I will for sure stay at this hotel.

"Great Place to stay"
Dale N, 30 Mai 2016

This Best Western is clean, fresh, and has great friendly staff. The front desk staff and manager are friendly with the public and are making sure everything is ok. The hallways are in a remodel stage but the rooms have been totally redone to a high quality. Great beds.

"Excellent Staff"
wirewrapped, 30 Mai 2016

The staff was excellent and the room was large, clean and very comfortable. I liked that there were two sinks, it made mornings easier. The only thing that would have made our stay better would have been an elevator. This really is the best hotel in Tonopah.

"Nothing good,,,nothing bad"
nikjdog, 26 Mai 2016

Mt wife and I travel quite a bit for both business and pleasure and usually try to stay at Best Westerns because we believe overall they have the best bang for the buck. Well maybe with one exception. This small motel in Tonopah Nevada is quite dingy and on the older side. I have bad breathing problems and find it very difficult to walk stairs. Wouldn't you know it, that is the floor they put us on even though we called ahead of time to make sure we are on the first floor. That worked well...NOT! The rooms were acceptable, clean, quite a a good bed.. The lighting was so-so but that is was no biggie. The water pressure in the shower could have been better, but I have been to worse. The morning breakfast was OK. It was typically the type found at Best Westerns. They did have 2 employees working it and I must say they were quite helpful and friendly.

"Comfortable Way Station"
RJ748, 26 Mai 2016

We booked a room in Tonopah for the night. We'd been visiting Zion National Park, and were looking for a stopping off point midway between Zion and our home town. We'd wanted to stay at the historic and pet-friendly Mizpah Hotel, but they were booked, so I chose the Best Western. Not a bad choice. With apologies to the good people of Tonopah, I guess the worst thing about this property is that it is located in Tonopah, which we found to be a depressing little town. The Best Western allows pets, but guests can't leave their pet unattended in the room (not even a quiet, well-behaved, crate-trained pet). This poses some logistical problems if the weather is warm and you want to go out for a meal, do some sightseeing, attend an event, or enjoy the outdoors. We didn't see much in the way of shady parking during the day. Towards the evening, the buildings downtown afford some shade for vehicles parked along the street. But during the heat of summer, shade alone might not be enough to keep one's pet safe and comfortable in the confines of one's car. At the end of this review, I've listed a couple of dining suggestions for guests who are travelling with a pet and staying at this hotel. As for other pros and cons: Pros: *There are a few dining options within walking distance of the hotel, including the Mizpah, which also has a casino. *Clean room. Comfortable bed. *Small refrigerator and microwave in the room. *Bathroom has a shower/tub combination and two sinks - one in the room with the lavatory, another in a vanity outside the bathroom door. *Hotel is currently being remodeled. The owners appear to be investing some money into sprucing the place up. The breakfast room appeared to be recently remodeled. It was clean and pleasant, with modern furnishings. *Decent complimentary breakfast. Reconstituted scrambled eggs, sausage links, cereals, breads, pastries, yogurt. (They also had breakfast potatoes, but those were dry and spongy.) Cons: *Remodeling work was underway during our stay. While this will not be a long term problem, it was a little noisy while the workers were there. Fortunately, they left at 5:00 p.m. Other consequences of the renovation work: the pool was not in service, our room had a view of the construction material storage area, and there was a barrel of construction debris on our floor directly in front of the ice machine. *We had a non-smoking room, but there was a very strong smell from old cigarette smoke in the lobby. *This hotel has no elevator. We had to lug our bags up the flight of stairs to our room. *There is a landscaped gazebo area that can be used for dog-walking. But the landscaping has been neglected, and the area is unattractive. Bottom-line: This place will probably be much nicer after the remodeling is completed, making it a decent choice for folks who find themselves in Tonopah for the night. But if you're travelling with your dog in the heat of summer, you may want to check out the Mizpah's pet policy, to see if it's less restrictive than at this hotel. Tips for dining with Fido: *The barbecue restaurant across the street from this hotel has a few shaded picnic tables. They permit pets in this area. *There are some picnic tables at this hotel's gazebo, though most are not in the shade, and all but one were in disrepair during our visit. *A restaurant down the street (Cisco's) has signs advertising that they deliver. (Presumably, they also offer take-out food.) So you could get food to go or delivered, and eat in the room. Our room didn't have a table and chairs, so we'd have wound up using the ottoman in our room as a substitute table if we'd chosen this option.

"Guest surprise"
Arthur T, 26 Mai 2016

This was our 4th stay at this location. The rooms have always been in good conditions so it came as a surprised to find the hotel being remodeled. The halls looked bad but they are a work in progress.

"Large room, convenient location"
Stacy F, 25 Mai 2016

My daughter and I stayed here on our first road trip to Vegas, from Reno. The location is very convenient and the desk clerk was friendly. You can walk pretty much anywhere in town from this location. The room was large, but I thought the price was a bit steep for Tonopah.

"Wonderful Stay"
Rylie G, 24 Mai 2016

We were here just passing through in Tonopah for probably less than 12 hours but this was probably our best night's stay during our 10 day road trip. The staff was friendly, understanding and accommodating. The hotel was clean. The rooms were clean. And we were able to walk across the street to the Tonopah Brewing Company for dinner. Great stay!

"Stay here when in Tonopah!"
Stacey M, 24 Mai 2016

This is the only motel worth staying in when yours travels bring you to Tonopah. The beds are as comfortable as they get. The breakfast is as good as any you can order in the local restaurants, and the customer service is friendly and accomodating. I give it four stars!!!

"Good enough."
ArizonaRick, 24 Mai 2016

The room we ended up in was nice - clean and comfortable. But getting there took some doing. We'd asked for a quiet, no-pet room. They put us on the ground floor on the highway side of the building. When we objected, we were put on the second floor, but right next to the stairway and a very noisy ice maker. Our third try landed us in a room further away from the ice machine, but on the highway side of the building (we were told that people with pets get the quieter inside rooms!)

"Great Stay in Tobopah"
Molly W, 24 Mai 2016

This BW is modern and fresh with a very nice staff. Beds were comfortable and breakfast tasty (Denver omelets). They also had cookies and coffee as Grab N Go in lobby. Also across the street from Tonopah Brewery for convenient meal.

"Clean Rooms, Decent Breakfast, Good Rates"
Wendy D, 23 Mai 2016

Clean, comfortable rooms. Nice, hot breakfast. Decent Rates. Good value for the money. They are going through a remodel right now, so things are a bit messy, but I'm sure it will be nice when it's done.

"Comfy motel"
Susi P, 21 Mai 2016

The room at this Best Western was comfortable, open, bright and clean. It was very ice to have a window that opened up all the way to let in fresh air. The free breakfast was good and included eggs and oatmeal among other choices.

"NICE HOTEL IN SMALL DESERT TOWN"
B8091HIlindal, 21 Mai 2016

VERY NICE NOT MANY CHOICES IN TONOPAH SEEMED A BIT EXPENSIVE WHEN COMPARED TO ALBUQUERQUE BUT AS EXPENSIVE AS Flagstaff Would have been nicer if pool was open but we were probably too early for their season Staff seemed very helpful

"No Frills, just like they said."
Milo J, 14 Mai 2016

I was scheduled to stay in another hotel. But the office was closed and they would not answer the emergency phone. So Hi-Desert was open and had a vacancy. The desk clerk was professional. The hallways were torn up, but it was because of renovations. Okay, that is fine. The room was good, the bed was firm, and the place was clean. Breakfast was just what I expected. I would stay here again. Thought the price was a bit high, but they were open. Better than the other place!

"Stop off "
Dawn F, 13 Mai 2016

We stayed here on our travels from yosemite, good breakfast and clean rooms , free parking , good sized rooms with everything in your needed . Hallway was being refurbished so did not look to good as you arrived , but rest was fine

"Clean, Modern and Friendly!"
533kelleyd, 02 Mai 2016

What a find in a mostly deserted town! Picked it as a half way spot. We were not disappointed. We travel a lot for our business. One of the best general best westerns. Staff was great. Rooms clean. One of the better free breakfasts. We sometimes pull a trailer with our products. Parking was good. Would stay again for sure.

"Being refurbished but a good room"
Geoffrey C, 02 Mai 2016

Despite being refurbished, the room was spotless with new furniture and (unusually) all amenities worked. No damage was present in the room whatsoever. the staff were pleasant and the breakfast is of the best continentals I have had thanks mainly the lady who produced it. there were hot options which were quite appetising which is unusual.

"Best Western in Tonopah a good experience"
Willard W, 28 Avril 2016

Comfortable King Sized bed with many pillows. Great internet and wonderful breakfast. Newly decorated and a restaurant across the street for dinner No elevator...Lots of cookies on arrival . Four sets of towels in the bathroom which had two sinks. tv was easy to use. Friendly desk person. Enjoyed the big very quiet room. The frig did not run all night.

"Pleasantly surprised"
Grandma21_12, 24 Avril 2016

The hotel is in the process of remodeling, but we were not disturbed in anyway by this. The lobby is nicely decorated, with fresh cookies and coffee. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are nice. The exercise room has newer equipment with a variety of work out options to chose from. Breakfast was good in an updated breakfast area. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. This hotel was a very pleasant surprise! Would not hesitate to stay here again if we are ever in Tonopah again!

"One of the best hotels"
Terri B, 22 Avril 2016

For a small town, this hotel was better than big city hotels I have stayed in. This beat out the Best Western in Kingman, AZ on this trip. Aside from the instant oatmeal for breakfast, we thoroughly enjoyed staying here. My husband loved the fitness center. I liked the quietness and ability to get a good night's sleep. We wish we had been staying here longer but we were traveling on a huge loop.

"Unexpected and great stay! Will stay again!"
Ryan D, 19 Avril 2016

Was very surprised on the size of the room especially with the size of my family which the hotel was able to accommodate. Hotel was very clean and quiet. Plus it is local directly across from Tonopah Brewing which was nice surprise to our trip.

"Don't choose anywhere else"
Patricia Or Ja B, 19 Avril 2016

If you have to stay in Tonopah don't look any further than the Hi-Desert Best Western. Very pleasantly surprised. Room was great. Nice breakfast choices & well laid out. Very friendly & helpful staff.

"Who Knew"
Roxanne W, 18 Avril 2016

Very surprised to find a hotel the caliber of Best Western in Tonopah, Nevada! Plus, it was dog-friendly! Although we came in late and left early the next morning, we got a good night's rest in the comfortable king bed. The room was quiet and clean... what more could you ask? Would definitely stay there again.

"Quick Trip"
James W, 16 Avril 2016

Nice facility, that is being fixed up. Clean rooms with all the needed items. Friendly staff, that helped us get a good dinner. Good food near by. Wish I had time to explore the area but we were on a quick trip through central Nevada.

"Best in town, but way pricier than it should be"
Richard R, 15 Avril 2016

Basically clean, typical Best Western. Some nights, this place fills up and the parking lots get full. Breakfast is okay but gets crowded. This is the nicest place in Tonopah, but it isn't as nice as the prices would indicate. For this town, and for what you get, the prices are just not justified, but there are few other choices (really only one other choice if you're not willing to stay in a low budget dive). Microwave and fridge is a major bonus for a town with few eating options, especially for anyone with an alternative diet or sensitive digestive system. Do not stay in the separate back building - lower quality and filled with smokers. Stay in the front building, in the wing not next to the highway. The highway sounds are really not that bad, though. Overall, it can be a nice, quiet stay--dawn and dusk are especially beautiful here, as Tonopah is in a beautiful location even if the town itself is mostly composed of the ugly scars of mining and celebrations thereof. If you have to stay in Tonopah, consider staying here. If you can push through to Fallon (northbound), you'll get a better deal.

"Truly BEST Western"
Turdy L, 14 Avril 2016

My experience of two of the best western hotels in the SW US have been exceptional. Clean, Comfortable and great staff. The rooms were much larger than most other hotels - which is great when you are travelling with two kids. The breakfasts were incredible too! Couldn't have asked for more - and if I had they would have got it for me!

"Best in the West"
happyfan2015, 10 Avril 2016

This place is fantastic. Immaculate, comfortable, quiet in every aspect. Wish we could have stayed longer just because it is a wonderful place. Who would have thought this could happen in the desert. I would definitely stay here again when i come back to Zion.

"Simple but sufficient"
GentilleAlouette, 08 Avril 2016

I am neither a cruel reviewer, nor a soft one, I think. My top criteria for hotels, as we travel around during retirement, have been: budget price if possible; super clean; all necessities supplied (our needs are simple, and we don't often forget toothpaste); all facilities function and none are broken; rapid hot water on tap (at least 3 minutes-worth in the shower); and relative quiet. Of course, in this state, where hotels are few and far between outside of Las Vegas and Reno, one has to compromise. Tonohpah has this good option, which we tried, and another that I'm eager to try. Note that this is an area central to 2 gold mines and a lithium mine, so not only are open spots unpredictably hard to get, but prices are fairly steep. Our advice is to reserve ahead if possible. Best Western here has an odd, two-building design, and parking is tight and tricky for Bldg. 2. The ONLY double available for us during a cold, windy, snowy mid-week in March was the “suite,” a spacious two-room set up with one queen bed and a cot and desk in the second room. We took it, and did not regret. It is plain, but satisfied all of our criteria, and had a microwave to warm up previous meal “doggie-boxes.“ A block down the street is a wonderfully well-renovated old hotel ((the Mizpah) with a pretty good restaurant and a variety of offerings on its menu. Not fancy, but warm and welcome. The interesting old ghost mining town of Berlin and Icthyosaur State Park (wonderful fish fossils) are an hour of beautiful Shoshone mountain driving away; however it is closed in winter.

"Double Check the type of room you are given"
Pamela L, 07 Avril 2016

I have stayed at Hi Desert BW before. Anytime I travel I try to stay in a Best Western. The Hi Desert Inn is perfect for the trips I take from Las Vegas to Reno a couple of times a year. The hotel has done a renovation to the lobby and it is outstanding. The decor is beautiful and they have a sitting area with a fireplace and coffee. The room was very nice and the bed was huge! The issue I had was, unbeknownst to me, they put me in a pet friendly room. I am allergic to dog hair. I called the front desk clerk, who offered to bring me lysol (?), and let me know there were no other rooms available. So I spent a very uncomfortable night and checked out at 4 a.m. I have never had that issue before. But it was a lesson learned. From now on I will make sure I ask for a non-pet friendly room.

"Good standard"
Paolo G, 04 Avril 2016

Spacious and clean room, a bit cold when we arrived but that was solved quite rapidly. Fitness room better than expected. Breakfast room was tiny and food and coffee not satisfactory, at least not for a European, I would say.

"Remodel and reboot"
K W, 03 Avril 2016

I've stayed here a few times in the past few years. The hotel has been fully remodeled. Nice staff. Fresh cookies at check in (and dog treats). Great breakfast. Very clean. Excellent beds. Good breakfast. Price is just a little high, but the staff treats guests very well.

"Good Service"
Laura P, 30 Mars 2016

Staff was very pleasant. I felt for the area the price for a night was a little high. Bed was comfortable and the bathroom was extremely clean. Room had current technology to include a I-Pod Docking station and a new flat screen TV.

"Unexpected pleasure"
Carol P, 28 Mars 2016

This was our second visit to Tonopah. We stayed at the Mitzpah hotel in the first visit but were treated as second citizens as there were lots of workers from the Solar Farm. We decided this year to stay at the Best Western Hi Dessert and what a pleasure. We arrived an hour before check in but no bother and straight to our room which was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing with so many choices, coffee excellent to someone who much prefers tea. Staff very pleasant. Good laundry, excellent cookies in the evening, so much better than our previous stay in a more expensive Mitzpah hotel.

"A good hotel to stay at"
David P, 26 Mars 2016

This hotel is well located with the town well within easy walk. Close to the mining museum and close to a few eating places. the rooms are well appointed very clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful and attentive. they have an outside pool but due to the time of year it was closed. Breakfast was good with a very good choice of food on offer. Take a room on upper floor at the back of the hotel. The hotel is close to the road, that said its not a busy road, well not when we were there.

"Best Quality Hotel"
Margaret K, 26 Mars 2016

I will stay at a Best Western if it is in the area knowing that I will get the best value and a great room. Been using them for 45 years, you can't go wrong using them. Call them direct or use one of the other hotel searches, they will get you a good room at Best Western

"Comfortable room"
dkntravel, 25 Mars 2016

We stayed here on our way home from our trip to Death Valley National Park. I did not realize it was a pet friendly hotel until we arrived. I tend to avoid pet friendly hotels due to my allergies. Fortunately I did not have any issues. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. I felt it was a good value for the money. Complimentary breakfast was also good.

"Misled on amenities "
User, 23 Mars 2016

booked this room at 105.00 a night because on hotels.com it said there was mini golf. I had been traveling 8 hrs in car with my young grandsons, they were excited to get out and play. There is no golf! When asking clerk about it she seemed indifferent. I would've stayed somewhere else for much less money. The room was not worth 105 and service was not good.

"Good for Short Stay Only"
Edee C, 21 Mars 2016

Upon arrival at approximately 1:30pm, after a 4 hour drive, a room was not ready for check in. That in itself is not unusual, however, the check in clerk offered no solutions of any kind. Could have offered to check me in and store my luggage until a room was ready. Instead, I was told to come back later and check in. Did not offer to call or text me when a room was ready. I was not able to return until 9:00pm that evening when conference meetings were over. I then had to locate my room in the dark. The entrance to the rooms were in another building away from the check in office and not clearly marked. Parking was difficult and I felt uncomfortable parking and then walking in the dark to my room.

"The Best, Best Western Ever"
David C, 20 Mars 2016

I made my reservation while traveling. I called the front desk and got a very nice person that had me room in minutes. We arrived that night to get a great room. It was a king bed, non smoking and pet friendly. The room was very clean and smelled nice. I have vacation rentals that I clean myself and I know where to look when it comes to cleaning. At the check in desk they had dog biscuits and dog poop clean up bags in a really neat dog bone container. Its really hard to be a pet friendly accommodation, people need to follow pet rules better if they wish places like this to be pet friendly. We made our reservation for one night and ended up staying for 3. Their breakfast was really good and a little different every day. A very nice lady taking care of the breakfast room even made my waffle for me after seeing fighting with it. ( can't believe a waffle maker was getting the best of me.) The owner/manager? asked us every day how our room was. They had cookies and coffee in the lobby every night. I loved it, I would get some each night to snack on before bed. They were full but still made us feel like we were the only guest there. I can't wait to return to Tonopah, I love the area and this is only place I will stay is here. One last thing about the front desk staff, If I could steal them I would take in a minute, Great front desk people are hard to find. Thanks

"Very nice room with good seating, desk and power by beds"
photobug429, 19 Mars 2016

Very nice for a 2 night stay and good guest laundry.Breakfast was one of,the best for a motel.Light by desk was not as good as we would have liked. WiFi was very good and included. Very helpful when asking for a second night and then informed us we could stay in the same room, very accommodating.

"Fabulous hotel"
Mary T, 18 Mars 2016

We loved everything about this hotel from the service to the special treats for their guests: 3 kinds of cookies, doggie biscuits, Swan's frozen foods, and much more. We've never felt more welcomed or appreciated at any hotel than we did here.

"Very clean and modern."
Ryan B, 16 Mars 2016

Hotel was recently remodeled or updated. Big rooms, friendly staff, easy check in/out. Parking is a bit messy, but hey, it's Tonopah, limited space. Coffee all the time at front desk. Breakfast was ok, not horrible.

"Wonderful motel"
1935ford, 15 Mars 2016

We have stayed in hundreds of motels over the years and both agree that this was one of the most comfortable motels that we have ever stayed in. Not only was is immaculate it had the best beds and bedding that we'd had ever seen. The breakfast that was offered to us was more than good. Everything about our stay there in Tonopah was enjoyable and your whole staff should get a raise!! Thank you to whoever manages your motel. Dot and Gordon

"Lovely hotel, would recommend. "
Bussrjw, 06 Mars 2016

A high quality hotel in a quiet little town. Helpful reception staff, lovely quiet room. A fabulous breakfast with hot and cold food to choose from. Comfy bed with clean fresh smelling line. Fitness and laundry rooms are well equipped. Easy parking close to the hotel entrance. Good places to eat close by too.

"Tonopah Best Western"
donn267, 06 Mars 2016

This is a great hotel; neat, clean and a great breakfast. The staff goes out of their way to make your stay what you want it to be. The manager comes around every morning at breakfast and asks how your service/room/breakfast/experience has been and if there is any way she can improve it. Book ahead though as this place fills up fast.

"Nice quit motel."
maynard f, 27 Février 2016

Very nice friendly motel with excellent breakfast bar. Staff was very friendly and check-in was great. Good eating places in close vicinity. This is definitely a bargain in the middle of nowhere. would highly recommend if you are travelling through this area.

"Best in Tonopah"
Sean K, 24 Février 2016

Wonderful place to lay your head when travelling through Tonopah. Super comfy bed, quiet (unless your room is on the main road through town, but nothing a sound machine can't take care of). Friendly staff, nice complimentary breakfast.

"Best Hotel in Tonopah"
Jeff L, 22 Février 2016

Great experience, clean room, outstanding courteous staff willing to go the extra effort to make your stay enjoyable, excellent breakfast, full breakfast with eggs, potatoes, bacon, orange juice, oatmeal, waffles, real milk for your coffee, etc . Comfortable beds. Lots of warm fresh delicious cookies in the afternoon. Decent fitness room. I will definitely come back to this hotel in the future.

"Really comfortable bed!"
Mary M, 21 Février 2016

Good place to stay. Clean and very comfortable beds and they have breakfast in the morning. Across the street is a Brew Pub that has really good BBQ for dinner. When I drive from Phoenix and I am tired I choose this place to stay.

"Best for Business"

very reliable wifi breakfast before 6 am cable tv gym comfortable rooms with micro+fridge familiar brand No other establishment in town has all of the above, which is essential for business travelers. The other big hotel has historical value, old time charm and very comfortable rooms, bar + restaurant, better suited to vacation travelers.

"great hotel"
Ray M, 09 Février 2016

Small town, great hotel and staff. I would recommend this hotel if you travel between Las Vegas, NV and Reno NV. Cool old buildings in the town and very easy to get in and out of the hotel parking if you are towing a trailer.

"Stay here for sure"
David S, 28 Janvier 2016

I would hands down recommend this motel .. Was as clean as any I have ever stayed in. The staff was friendly helpful and fun to chat with. They had valueable tips for seeing the area. The beds were very clean and comfortable.

"Many Thanks"
Jennifer T, 26 Janvier 2016

My partner and I stayed in Tonopah from Monday through Friday. We not only had business in Tonopah but a lot of the surrounding towns, which means we had to be up early and on the road. We definitely appreciated Betty and the fabulous breakfast every morning. When booking the room I thought that "free breakfast" meant the normal continental breakfast. I was wrong! Betty had everything from waffles, omelets, bacon/sausage, potatoes, fruit, oatmeal, and many more. Overall, it was a great place to lay our heads for a good night's rest! Thank you for everything and we will see you on the next time through!

"Clean, Friendly, Comfortable, Very Good Breakfast"
durfsmurf, 26 Janvier 2016

This was a great place to stay. We were here for a week and found it to be very comfortable. Betty at breakfast was extremely helpful and friendly. Definitely will stay again. There was a good size refrigerator in the room and the temperature was easy to regulate. Comfortable beds. Clean buildings, rooms, and hallways. Pool only open in warm months. Gym available. The highlight really was the breakfast each morning; cooked eggs, potatoes, and sausage or bacon. Fresh waffles, hard boiled eggs. Dairy alternative; almond milk. Coffee, tea, coco. Basically great selection for a free breakfast.

"Best Option!"
steelefrog, 24 Janvier 2016

The Best Western staff is always friendly and helpful. The amenities are excellent--in particular the breakfast. It's much more than a basic continental breakfast, and Betty does a superb job of keeping everything ready and clean. She's a gem! The beds are some of the most comfortable hotel beds I've ever slept in, and there are lots of plugs available for multiple devices (and free wi-fi!).

"Comfortable / good value for money / good B&B"
FABIO457, 22 Janvier 2016

A confortable hotel in a small village, good option for road travellers sleep a night on way to Las Vegas. Very good breakfast served from early in the morning. Basic room with TV, WiFi and others facilities. Complimentary Car park. Motel style with confort. Good value for money.

"Best Place to Lay a Weary Head"
Rose V, 11 Janvier 2016

This was one of the cleanest places I have stayed and the breakfast was way above other hotels I have stayed. We will stay here again when we are in the area. The location is easy to get to and easy to get back on the road.

"Great Hotel"

Excellent hotel! Great place to stay! Friendly staff! Very nice rooms. Excellent breakfast choices. Comfortable beds. Clean rooms. I would recommend this hotel to everyone! Nice location. Best hotel in Nevada!

"Great Place to Stay While In Tonopah"
Leon J, 21 Décembre 2015

This was my third stay at the Hi-Desert Inn. The facilities are always in great shape and room comfortable. The "new" lobby is very attractive. I prefer staying on the second floor, so this hotel's not having an elevator is its only negative,

"Hi Desert Escapade"
Dan Q, 17 Décembre 2015

All in all, pleasant experience on each stay. We have been staying here for several years and find the service and amenities consistently good but somewhat overpriced. We surmise the high price as a function of supply and demand.

"Best Hotel in Tonopah"
Steven C, 13 Décembre 2015

The Best Western is the best hotel in Tonopah, and indeed is as nice as any mid-tier hotel I've stayed at in many cities. They have recently upgraded their lobby, common areas, and breakfast area and it looks really great. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have all the amenities you would want, including a refrigerator and microwave. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful too. And make sure you check out the Tonopah BBQ and Brewery right across the street.

"Great motel in the middle of the desert!"
mkemmw, 05 Décembre 2015

We have stayed here twice and have NOT been disappointed in the least. The staff is great - always very helpful and gracious. The lady that attended the breakfast was wonderful. This is one of the few motels that we call ahead to make sure there is a room reserved. Their breakfast is wonderful. The dining recommendation was great too. We shall return again when headed South

"Will stay again"
KDRaknm, 02 Décembre 2015

We stayed at the Best Western - Tonopah on November 29. I checked Trip Advisor for a place to stay in Tonopah and booked a reservation based on reviews. The hotel lived up to the high ratings - it was clean, had a good breakfast, quiet room (and they are large), updated bathroom, sheet-covered duvets, and very good TV channels!

"The Desert Inn"
O4194HFjohnp, 17 Novembre 2015

The stay was magnificent! Very clean and comfortable rooms. Friendly and informative staff. Excellent breakfast and coffee bar! If you're near Tonopah and looking for a great night's sleep with a great start to a new day, stay here.

"Great place to rest!"
Michael B, 10 Novembre 2015

Traveling between the Northwest and the Southwest and this hotel was where we needed to stop and rest. The rooms were clean and comfortable, internet connection worked well and the breakfast in the morning was served with a smile. Had dinner at the restaurant across the street which was also pretty good!

"excellent"
Mel S, 07 Novembre 2015

Great experience. Wonderful staff and really clean place. Quick check in and out. Warm welcoming place.Whole town was filled with nice friendly people as well. Nice little beer brewery across the street with some good ol cooking.

"Tonapah Best Western"
cindyhw2015, 07 Novembre 2015

Clean and the most comfortable beds that I have ever slept in during a trip. Very personable staff that is always helpful, nice location in the middle of Nevada. Best advice is to either get a reservation or stop early to get a great room.

"Excellent!"
Paul M, 06 Novembre 2015

Clean room and restroom. I have stayed at this property twice, both times I was surprised how well this property is run. The Continental breakfast is absolutely fantastic! So many other places you get a very limited selection, not at this place. I can only recommend other travelers to stay at this Best Western! I am not affiliated with Best Western in any way, just a satisfied traveler:)

"Great hotel"
Emily T, 05 Novembre 2015

We were very pleased with this hotel. It was very clean and had a room that could sleep my family of eight in one room which is difficult to do. The breakfast is an added bonus. We would choose to stay here again.

"Nice hotel"
nigni2002, 04 Novembre 2015

clean , good breakfast.Mind you there is nothing to eat in Tonopah if you arrive late. You can have something in a gas station not far from the hotel:As I have just said the breakfast is pretty good and there is enought space for all. Just a little difficult to understand the map of the hotel , but nothing too difficult.Tonopah is a good position from Rachel Nevada to see the extraterritoril highway

"Great find!"
Ondegoagain, 29 Octobre 2015

This hotel was a great choice on our road trip for a layover. The bed was cozy, the views of the old. Inning town were great, the breakfast was outstanding. The breakfast gal was a real treasure, wanting us to make sure we left with a "happy tummy". So much to explore in this remote area...we will return.

"Excellent place for a one-night stay"
khutch451, 27 Octobre 2015

A professional staff and solid amenities made the stopover in quaint and quirky Tonopah a relaxed and pleasurable experience. Just a short walk up the street from the Mizpah, where you can get a great steak and a good breakfast. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

"Clean, friendly and no ghosts"
xeriman, 26 Octobre 2015

This is a little gem in the middle of Nevada that my parents recommended to me. It was clean and the staff was over the top friendly. The ladies that ran the breakfast seemed to take pleasure in keeping the area spotless and well-stocked. I have to say it was the best I've seen. The front-desk ladies were also very pleasant and informative. They do allow animals, so make sure if you're allergic they put you in a non-pet room. I'm highly allergic to cats and mildly allergic to dogs and I didn't have any problems. I highly recommend this hotel.

"Clean, good value"
UKM12, 23 Octobre 2015

I'd accidentally booked a smoking room and the hotel was full so we had to put up with a smoky room. Other than that the hotel was clean, well stocked, friendly staff, great breakfast and convenient. Definitely a good choice! Located on Main Street in Tonopah, great for passing through and plenty of dining options you can walk to in the evening.

"About what was expected"
David J, 20 Octobre 2015

No issues here just a basic hotel room. Not a lot around the town so options are limited. My family of 4 stayed here. Everything worked as it should, the one staff member we saw was courteous. The bar/grill across the street was pretty good although it was about the only thing open at that time. No complaints.

"Great stopping point on way to Tahoe"
Teacher071, 20 Octobre 2015

Tonopah was the most convenient place for us to stop on our way to Lake Tahoe and the Best Western Hi-Desert Inn was a very good choice of accommodations. The rooms are very large and comfortable. In fact, the rooms were larger than most Best Western Plus Inns where we have stayed. Front desk gals were very pleasant and check in went very quickly as did check out the next morning. Breakfast is usually included when staying at a Best Western facility. Most reviews that we read were very positive about the breakfast offerings at this location. This, however, was not our experience. There was a breakfast omelet, but it was plain. The breakfast potatoes were on the dry and crunchy side. The bagels were on the stale side. We ate breakfast at 7 a.m., so it wasn't that the food had been sitting out for that long a time period. Breakfast that day was not very good. The hotel itself was very nice, thus my Very Good rating.

"Home away from home"
James D, 20 Octobre 2015

The entire staff led by Rachel and Joanne where outstanding. I spend just under thirty days staying at this Best Western (the best hotel in town) while working nights on a temporary assignment. The staff went out of their way to have breakfast ready early when my team and I came back from working all night. They also went out of their way to remain quiet in the morning while we slept. Thanks for making us feel at home, away from home!

"Nice hotel, good service"
Adriaan T, 18 Octobre 2015

Being a senior, I was pleasantly surprised to be offered a room on the 1st floor in the 1st place. Comfortable room. The breakfast also was pretty good. In the, somewhat unlikely, case that I would visit the area again, I would certainly choose this hotel.

"Last night on a cross country trip"
Rockstr, 17 Octobre 2015

After traveling for over 12,000 miles on a trip across the U.S. this was our last night in a motel and we could not have asked for a better experience. This Best Western lives up to the standards that one expects from a major chain and I would highly recommend a stay here if traveling on the way to Las Vegas

"Excellent hotel"
taffydi, 16 Octobre 2015

Check in/out was quick and easy. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Our room was large and clean. We went straight to the pool after check in and it was dark but there was plenty of light. The hot tub and pool were a really nice temperature, clean and towels were provided at reception. With the heat through the day it was very welcome. Breakfast is included and is the normal cereal, bread, waffles, bagels, jams, fruit, etc. with plenty of juice, coffee and tea. In the lobby area there was always tea/coffee and cookies available. This is an old historic mining town with plenty of history and museums. My only regret was only being here for one night as we didn't have time to explore fully. Only complaint would be no safe in the room. Would I stay here again? Definitely Would I recommend it to a friend? Absolutely

"Clean and Quiet"
Sandi W, 11 Octobre 2015

Our room was in the annex behind the hotel. The room was clean and fairly new, but I felt slightly uncomfortable with the parking on an alley that would not be well lit at night. We moved our car to the front part of the hotel parking because we didn't want somebody breaking in. The only other downside was the internet, which didn't want to work. Called their helpline, and they couldn't fix it. The woman at the front desk finally fixed it, but it took awhile. She said they had been having problems all month. The breakfast was great, and the server very friendly. All and all, it was a nice property with friendly people. I was a bit surprised at the price of the rooms in such a small little out of the way town, however!

"Another Quality Stay"
AGoingGal, 06 Octobre 2015

We had our second stay here and I'm writing this without referring to my first. The stay was nice but I booked a queen bedded room to save $s, hoping to be upgraded to a king in the main building. The queen bedded rooms are in the annex building behind. These rooms have room enough but that is about it. They have a large easy chair beside the bed and space enough to walk around the bed. The room had a desk area and a TV mounted to the wall. There was a small refrigerator and microwave in a cabinet on the wall with the window. The AC worked well, the room was clean and there were more TV channels than you would expect to find in Tonopah - there is no cable provider here and only satellite TV but the hotel did not have satellite - interesting. The vanity counter is separate from the bathroom, with a long counter and plenty of toiletry space. The bathroom lights were, initially, difficult to locate as they are on the middle of the wall inside the bathroom. There are no elevators in the hotel so, if you have difficulty dragging bags you will want to request a first floor room. The hotel was full when we stayed but I was not bothered by noise from any other guests - most were mature adults. They had four different types of cookies set out in the late afternoon and the supply seemed endless. Most hotels that have cookies for their guests tend to run out quickly as they make a few dozen and are finished. Not so here - you will not be disappointed if you like cookies. Breakfast was solid. The breakfast area is very nicely done and inviting. The morning we were there they offered chicken fried steak and country gravy as the “special” item. They rotate the special between different types of omelets, sausage gravy and biscuits, and scrambled eggs with ham. I think they have regular scrambled eggs every day. All the other items you would expect to find were present - breads, pastries, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal. They are serious about coffee here. They have a bold (French Roast) in addition to regular coffee. They also have eight different syrups and liquid creamers (regular and Pumpkin Spice today) and powdered creamers. You can really personalize your coffee here. I stay in 200 hotel rooms per year and most are single nights all over the world. I have never seen this extensive variety of coffee flavorings anywhere else. The syrups included raspberry and peach! I also noticed that the housekeeping staff were very friendly - holding doors open, smiling and welcoming. The front desk team was fine but the housekeeping staff stood out. This really is a comfortable place and you can tell the owners care.

"Excellent place to stay while exploring central Nevada"
Jack F, 02 Octobre 2015

I have stayed here several times during the last few years and it is always top notch. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful, rooms are clean and amenities are great. Betty runs the kitchen and fixes one of the best breakfasts ever. I never start my day disappointed and it is always delicious. I am looking forward to my next visit!

"Great place to stop traveling through remote western Nevada."
Czechnut, 28 Septembre 2015

We spent a night at this motel. It is dog-friendly, and offered dog cookies and cleanup bags to hang on your dog's collar at check-in. Room was clean, comfy and had everything you need, and it is within walking distance to several places to eat. Breakfast was fine and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We would stay here again.

"Very nice and updated hotel in a dusty little town"
Kassey22000, 27 Septembre 2015

If you travel the Las Vegas to Tahoe route often, Tonopah is a great stop over and has 2 pretty nice hotels and 2 slot casinos. This Best Western is very nice, has updated rooms, free wifi, pool, hot breakfast, and clean quiet comfy rooms/beds. The lots that the buildings are adjacent to are sad and the views of the house next door from the Annex building is pretty lousy, yet the hotel property itself is neat and well kept. For the AAA rate, it's a solid value. Check out the Pittman Cafe in the beautiful Mizpah Hotel 2 blocks away. Amazing chicken fried chicken with garlic mashed potatoes and grilled veggies.
