Best Western Plus Country Park Hotel

My second stay at this hotel. Clean and of good modern standard. Recommend requesting a room opposite the road/train tracks. Average but adequate breakfast. The area that needs improvement is the attitude of the front desk staff. At both stays, at check-in and check-out, they were indifferent and borderline unfriendly. When I spend upwards of $200/night, I expect a smile and a cordial greeting. I would stay again.

Arrived just after a snowstorm and was treated great by the individual upon check-in. Had the choice of what floor and stayed on the first floor in an excellent room. Easy control for the heating system.

Travel home from AZ , I pushed myself until it was after dark. Best Western in Tehachapi was a must to relieve the tension from driving all day. Bed was comfortable, television with weather info was a must.

The hotel is in good shape but the management clearly has no clue what it is doing. The flaws became obvious the moment I walked into the lobby to check in. The first words out of the clerk's mouth were "license and payment card." I felt like I was being booked into a jail, not patronizing a hotel. Next we got a room that had dirt on the beds and a carpet that wasn't clean. We moved to another room and it was marginally better. At 7:15 in the morning we went for the breakfast that supposedly started at 7:00. A woman with an arrogant look on her face and who appeared to be the owner was at the front desk which looked over the breakfast area. The pancake maker was not operating and several people tried but failed to get it to work, as she watched and did nothing. A kid who appeared to be her grandchild was running all over the place and putting his hands on everything, which she did nothing about. She then joined him to eat, leaving the front desk empty. Amazing. There are two other hotels on either side of this one. We will try them both before going back to this one.

Comfortable bed. Room was spacious, clean and offered good amenities (small Keurig, good sized fridge, microwave). Wifi worked well, good AC/heater, and plenty of power outlets. Only issue was poor breakfast with various machines not working (pancake and Expresso machines) and limited food choices. For the price of this “plus” Best Western, we expected more.

This BW is in a very nice location. Close to restaurants and the downtown area. The rooms are clean and in good condition. I would recommend this BW to family and friends. If you are traveling with several devices, it will be difficult to charge them at night as the rooms lack sufficient USB ports.

We stopped here while passing through headed out of state. I chose BW because I've had good experiences at other locations, this one had good reviews. Not as new as the neighboring hotel but it was very clean and quiet. No freeway noise. There is a shopping center close by with lots of food options and amenities.

This will be my go to property when in the area. Breakfast had many items to choose from. Room was clean and everything worked well including the shower. The property was clean and well kept. I will be back!

We have been Best Western members for years now and this is one of the nicest we have stayed in. On a trip to Sacramento area from Prescott AZ and wanted a midpoint and this hit the spot. The check in was seamless and the room was large and well appointed.

Our stay at the Tehachapi Best Western was excellent. The rooms were clean, it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Staff was great. Our stays at Best Western are always great. I always prefer to stay at Best Western.

The location isn't bad, you are next to everything. The quality and services compare with the price pay I a little to much. Breakfast is to simple for the price of the room. Easy can hear the noise of another rooms.

In our initial room - a faucet malfunctioned and took over one hour to stop the water. Our second room - had another malfunctioning sink faucet. All tolerable but the poor desk staff had no clue as to how to help us. The second room was a downgrade. When we attempted to get a discount we were referred to "Joe" whose last name and number was not provided. "Joe" was to call us back - but has not and it has now been a week since we stayed at this property. Terrible customer service despite the poor untrained staff's sympathetic but powerless response. Rooms were adequate. But maintenance seems to be a problem.

I checked in to this Best Western, simply to be in a hotel that had telephones in the room (believe it or not, the first hotel I tried did not), what I got was much much more. The rooms have thermostats for the A/C. Heat lamps in the bathroom, simple to use TV remote. Due to unusual circumstances, I had no phone on me, but there was a computer available, which was a really great help in my situation. The breakfast was also great, it had a diverse selection of breakfast foods, even a machine that made pancakes on the fly. Overall I am very pleased with my stay, if simply for the fact that where others have tread BW has listened and responded, and that is how good companies become great.

I travel a lot for government business (they always give me the per-diem rate). The facility is a true BW "plus". It is the little things, nice towels, bedding, and the hot-tub always works. Just down the street is a great pizza and beer joint (added plus).

This was a perfectly nice place to stay on the final night of our 41 day roadtrip. Everything you expect is exactly as expected. All the standard amenities are present, as well as easy freeway and town access. The weather was quite chilly and the heater in the room worked well.

Stay away. The owners of this hotel are more focused on cutting expenses than providing good customer service. Our room was at 60 Degrees when we arrived because the heat was turned off. When we checked out the front desk clerk did not say hello or ask about our stay as if our presence did not matter to her

We are loyal BW members and enjoyed our stay in Tehatchapi at BW Plus. The facilities are clean and in great working condition. The breakfast room was well laid out and spacious. I would recommend TK, a pizza restaurant.

The motel was great accept for the extremally hard bed and cheap pillows! Breakfast well we left early to find a cafe. Hotel is very clean and staff is great but being able to sleep comfortably is very important!

My family of three adults stayed one night in this hotel as we were just traveling through. I was torn between the two neighboring hotels because of mixed reviews. We stayed in a deluxe, 2-room suite, so we would have two queens. Excellent experience! The rooms were clean (except for a couple of old stains probably from children's juice spills) and spacious. There was a table with two chairs in addition to coffee table, desk, and numerous side tables. There were numerous places to plug in phones and other devices. There was a huge double closet. There was a picture missing from the wall, so that was odd, but it in no way negatively impacted our gratitude for the room. The best thing about the hotel was the host family. They are gracious and welcoming. They were competent and quick to answer my question about how to set the refrigerator temperature for the coldest setting (6). The location was superb, a block away from TK's Pizza place and Kohnen's Bakery and two blocks from a Walgreens where we got a case of water before hitting the freeway nearby. We slept soundly, had easy access to our car, parked under a shady tree. Couldn't be happier about our choice.

Well kept hotel. Seemed to be pretty new. Was clean and well maintained. Water pressure was incredible in the shower. Would recommend they improve the breakfast setup and how this area is ready in the morning.

We were very pleased with the hotel, the cleanliness of everything, the decor etc. We will stay there anytime we are in Tehachapi and recommended it to everyone. The front office clerk seemed to have a problem. Very glum, don't know if it was something personal or terrible that had happened in her life. It was disconcerting. And odd. She mostly stared down and just seemed angry or sad.

Was in Tehachapi CA for a wedding. I stayed here because there no available rooms left in the block of rooms at the Fairfield Inn next door where I am an elite Marriott member. I checked in online via the email they sent. I arrived to find the lady at the registration desk wanted to charge me $50 more than my confirmed wedding reservation rate. Fortunately I showed her my email confirmation on my phone and she begrudgingly checked me in at that rate. I got the feeling she was the hotel owner. Not a friendly person and not a good impression that would make me want to return. I needed to change for the wedding in a half hour to get to the wedding location in time, but the room she checked me into wasn't ready. I spoke with the maid (Eli) in my hallway and she cheerfully and immediately left the room she was cleaning and came to do my room. She was quick and efficient but also very thorough cleaning a room trashed by the previous guests. I made it in time for the ceremony. I was happy to tip her for going above and beyond and making me feel welcome. The young man working the desk when I left was very helpful with information, but the young lady working the desk the next morning spoke only Chinese and was impossible to communicate with. Because the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good … and particularly because the maid exceptional, I would give this place another chance. Otherwise, I would not. The owner needs to understand that customer service is imperative for repeat business.

These people have no idea how to run a hotel. Was attending an event in the area for work. This was the official hotel with a group rate so stayed here. The group rate was only valid for four nights but I needed to stay one night extra on each end, six nights total. They had no idea how to handle it. Firstly, I was unable to book the group rate online or via 1-800 central reservations. I had to call the hotel directly. It took several calls for them to actually answer the phone. Once I got a human on the phone, comprehending pre and post was like explaining Newtonian physics to a caveman. Eventually seemed to be sorted but then no confirmation information arrived. Days later I was still wondering if I had a reservation. Attempted to call back but again, no answer on several tries. Called central reservations who did confirm I had reservations and set them up to be joined so I wouldn't have to move rooms. All seemed well. On arrival, I checked in with a young kid who was nice but mostly clueless. Still seemed well. They still struggled with my conjoined reservations and I had to get new keys on day two. On the next to last night, the batteries pooped out on the tv remote. Went to the desk to get fresh ones. When clueless pulled me up in the system he says, “you're checking out tomorrow?” I said I wasn't. He then said he needed my card to extend me the additional night even though my original reservation was through the Sunday night. Then says he can't fix it and I need to speak to the manager in the morning. In the morning, I go to the desk and the manager is a Chinese lady who barely speaks English. Not only is she super confused, she decides she needs to charge me, again, for the previous four nights saying she she doesn't have my charge slip. Im watching her shuffle through like ten charge slips from the cc machine. I've been here for five nights already. How could I be in the ten slips she's holding in a 100+ room hotel after so many nights?!? Baffling. After an agonizing 20 mins while she's trying to build me a new reservation for one more night, it seems to finally be almost over. More struggle with the credit machine. More struggle with making new keys. Insane. On a side note, the rooms are nice and the housekeeping is good.

In an unusual situation with Best Western, I had my wires crossed. I thought I paid for the room with points, but some part of the transaction was not completed which would usually be my error. Johana, the person at the desk, studied the issue after the fact. When I got home I have a revised receipt that showed points were used. I really appreciate the extra effort on her part.

I stay at this property every time I work in Tehachapi because it is clean, bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast a good. The staff are friendly and helpful and the location is close to shopping and dining.

Close to the town and lots of cool eats. Geology in the area very complicated and integrated. Spring flowers were in bloom, Go for a walk and relax. Very close to the desert. Hotel staff very professional.

Check in was delayed because front desk clerk runs two hotels. Waited 15 minutes for someone to show up and he said it wasn't his fault and I should report it to the franchise. Breakfast staff was unhelpful and said they "could not" change the TV channel which was two people yelling on ESPN. Then just walked in while I was eating and turned the lights off in the room.

Best Western was running a promotion during our stay and we had two $20 gift cards to apply to the room rate at check-in. As often happens with promotions, the desk clerk was not familiar with the right way to enter the gift cards, so the reward added 10 minutes or so to check in. In the era of Covid-19, you don't really want your loyalty program to force customers to spend extra time in a busy lobby. This is a nice hotel. It's clean. It also has paper thin walls with no sound deadening. So our neighbor's TV was about as loud as our TV, with the sound coming through the wall. Their TV was still on at 3:30 am. Also, this hotel is on a busy street and the railroad tracks are on the other side of that street, so we heard every tuner car, motorcycle, and freight train that passed by. So, if you are sensitive to noise, pick another property. While Best Western's in other states are now serving real breakfasts, this property is still serving Grab-and-Go breakfasts, so we opted out and ate at McDonald's.

The rooms are quite comfortable and quiet. Everything works!! That is something you do not find these days, especially during the lockdowns. We have had the pleasure of staying at this location many times, as our Son and his family reside in Tehachapi.

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into our room. It seemed spacious and well laid out. It even had 2 luggage racks! The bathroom had ample counter space and was brightly lit. I loved everything about this hotel. There weren't a ton of breakfast choices, but what was provided was very good. I highly recommend this hotel.

Staff booked wrong night, charged my account and at my arrival refused to honor my real reservation. I offered to support an “executive decision” but stall member had his balls clipped sometime in pre-school.

You won't regret staying in this hotel. Super clean, updated and great location. A/C worked great, water pressure in bath was awesome. Overall a great experience. The breakfast could have been a bit better, but with Covid, we were glad they offered what they did. It was a bit pricey, but all the hotels in this area were about the same cost.

Very conveniently located to town and the bars and restaurants. It's nice to be able to get in the pool or Jacuzzi. The coffee in the lobby in the morning is a bonus for sure! Not to mention being able to grab some breakfast on the weekends in a little dining area. I go every year in August for Tehachapi Mountain Festival and choose to stay here! This is a small tidy hotel close to the sounds of the trains and a walk to the city park. I highly recommend this little jewel if you are on a budget but still expect quality.

This was a fine place to stay for one night, as we were only in town for about 16 hours (it was a halfway point on our long drive; otherwise we had no other reason to stay in Tehachapi). Interior was dated but clean. Was looking forward to using the pool but it was so small that we didn't feel comfortable going in when there was another large group of people using it. Breakfast was super sad: cold cereal, scrambled eggs, some pre-wrapped breakfast sandwiches, and that was it. Acceptable for one night, but I hope we'll never have to stay in Tehachapi again.

I don't even know where to start. We were in town visiting a very ill family member and just wanted a clean bed to sleep on, no high expectations and this place couldn't even deliver. Check in was horrible, when we arrived the older woman behind the counter was screaming at the cleaning crew on a radio and didn't even acknowledge us for 5 minutes. Then she just stared at me until I said checking in, and then demanded my last name and credit card without even telling me the total. Incredibly rude. Once we got into the room it was disgusting. The sheets had blood and makeup stains. Couch had gross white stains. Hair everywhere on the floor and in the bathroom and shower. We couldn't walk around without shoes on and the bathroom floor was so sticky it left black footprints. All the towers were incredibly rough and no hand soap was put out, only facial wash. The bed was also so hard that we hurt the next morning. Do not stay here, it was so disgusting and staff was rude!!

there were no personal at time of check out. and there was no water at the tub. the room was clean. the presentation of the facility is great. Location to downtown Tehachapi is awesome. The atmosphere is good

The premises were great, but one person never even looked up to see who they were talking to and they did not put out any effort to accommodate in a difficult situation, memorial. I have experience in hotel ownership and would have not treated customers like this.

Very nice stay at this Best Western. The manager/owner was especially helpful and responsive when we had a question or needed something. Appreciated that they took a lot of precautions due to COVID. The location is perfect and close to everything, but also quiet. My teenagers loved the small workout space on the first floor. I thought the staff was great.

Decided to travel to Tehachapi for a graduation and birthday celebration. Called for reservations for one night with king size bed. Arrived at 1 o'clock pm and just wanted to check in because I would be returning very late. Unable to do so. When returning at 1130 pm the room was not the room requested. Also no breakfast available. I later heard the owner also owns 3 other hotels right along the same area. I paid $171 for a one night in a very small town. A total ripoff. No military or senior discount because it was a weekend.

We were only in town for one night. It was for a surprise Birthday party for a family member. Arrived Saturday late morning, went straight to party. Didn't get back to the hotel until late. Slept and got up the next morning and left. No time to really enjoy the city.

Just to keep this review simple --- The grab and go breakfast was an orange that had mold present on it. Also included was a candy bar {not edible} and small bottle of water. SAD , SAD . Will never stay here again....May never stay at a BEST WESTERN again !!!

Of the four breakfast experiences on my trip, they fell short here. A skinny granola bar, an orange and a small water. The night before at a best western, the staff was serving pre-covid hot food in the breakfast area. That is the only negative, but if you are a breakfast person, be prepared to go elsewhere to eat. Hopefully with Covid declining they will resume normal fare soon.

We have stayed several times over the last few years when traveling from northern California back home to our house in southern California. This time the stay wasn't up to par. Due to Covid-19 the breakfast was a grab and go. Breakfast was a granola bar a small bottle of water and an orange. They also had a biscuit sandwich available for breakfast. The person at the front desk at check-in seemed like she was preoccupied. The room was starting to show some wear and tear. The sink in the bathroom had small spots of rust in the sink and the fan in the bathroom was very noisy. Not sure if I will be staying here again when I am in town.

Nice Best Western, located within walking distance to restaurants. Overall very clean, and comfortable. They still provided a grab and go breakfast, despite COVID, which was well done and nice to have. I'd stay here again...but I'd bring my own coffee as the in-room coffee was undrinkable.

Main restroom in lobby was closed. Restroom in room had a very loud (old?) exhaust fan. Vending machine did not work. One of two room keys did not work. This was second time here. There will NOT be a third.

NOT a BW Plus. Don't pay extra for the plus. Linens were Motel 6 quality, no toiletries, minimal takeaway breakfast. Just an ordinary BW. We won't use them on our return trip! The BW Plus in Yuma is excellent. No comparison.

The lady at the check in was almost rude in her helping me to check in. DIdn't recognize me as a BW Platinum rewards member and was unhelpful in recommending a place to eat. No hospitality at all in the hospitality busiess.

Conveniently located, friendly front desk, comfortable beds, and a newer property are among the benefits of this hotel. While nice, it wasn't quite as nice as some of the other BW Plus' I've stayed in, mainly because (perhaps due to being a newer hotel) the rooms are rather small. I'd say the hotel is better suited to the solo business traveler than the leisure travel couple as we were. Heavier bedding would have been appreciated in this mountain climate, but otherwise, I got a good nights' sleep. There are several and varied dining options nearby, making Tehachapi a good stopping point for the traveler. Recommended.

I was charged twice for my reservation after confirming 2 rooms a few weeks previously. Check in took about an hour. After confirming that the guest in the 2nd room would have no issue checking in, I get a call at midnight from her saying she can't check in and they didn't have her room. Front desk attendant was rude and sparky. He told her she must have cancelled her own reservation (she had confirmation page pulled up). He finally gave the 2nd guest a key to an OCCUPIED room (the key card opened the door to other guests who were already IN BED). I have still not heard from management and am still waiting on a refund for the double charge.

We were surprised at the cleanliness of the room we were in. So clean it was noticeable! We will definitely return to this location. The reception was difficult to understand and we werenot sure if she understood english very well.

We loved this hotel. Our room was nice and clean. Spacious. The fridge was bigger than expected and comfortably fit our groceries. The staff was really friendly. Laundry room was clean and they offer quarters which made my life easier when I ran out. I wish the breakfast had more options, but businesses are doing the best they can right now. Breakfast at the moment is a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, orange, granola bar and a water bottle. For the price, it was a good deal and great experience. We will be staying here again.

We stayed in room 305 --- near the elevator and ice/vending machines, which was convenient and not too noisy. The room was a nice-looking traditional Best Western (two double beds) and passed muster on first arrival. Our view out the front window was to our car, the hills and the train going by. We love trains. Room had the promised microwave and refrigerator (not used) and other amenities on the list --- wi-fi, office desk, plenty of outlets for charging devices, etc. Pool was obviously closed for the season. Hotel appeared clean overall on first impression. Several issues concerned us: 1) We had just driven 350 miles and were tired on arrival at 5:30pm. We both wanted to nap but it was impossible as the walls seemed to be paper-thin. We could hear conversations from both next doors as well as in the hallway. Gave up on the naps, but did catch up on email. 2) Lack of observing the Best Western advertised COVID protocols. I had called the hotel twice, prior to our trip, to get additional information as well as to check on how diligently they observed the official BW COVID cleaning and mask protocols. Much to our surprise, on arrival, the desk clerk was only wearing her mask over her mouth. I said to her, "it looks like your mask has slipped down." She sniped back: "It's no problem (with her nose exposed in our direction) --- at least I'm wearing it." Immediate put- off. A couple hours later, we left for dinner and asked the same desk clerk for walking directions to the restaurant we'd chosen. She was sitting at the desk with NO mask on. Maybe waiting to leave, but still. No mask. Also, there was a group of four young men in the very small lobby, working on their phones. They took up both small couches. No Masks On Any Of Them. Desk clerk did nothing. When we returned from dinner, the young guys were still there. No masks. We had to pass within two feel of them to get around the small couches. In other words, the advertised Best Western protocol was not being observed by either the employee or the four "guests" taking up all the seating space in the small check-in lobby. 3) On getting back to our room, we turned on the TV and pulled down the covers of the beds to relax and I found dark hairs (several) on my pillow. Fortunately, there were 4 pillows, so that one got pitched to the other side of the room. The other three appeared to not have hairs on the pillow case. It was a comfortable night's sleep (good bedding) but we were not impressed by the other issues. Also, the "breakfast" (during COVID times) was an orange, a bottle of water, a thin breakfast bar and what was called a small "homemade" (that morning) biscuit/egg/sausage sandwich. That was it. I don't eat sausage so I tossed half. At any rate, we didn't expect the traditional continental breakfast but it did appear skimpy. Would have been nice to have a choice of juice drinks (we already had plenty of water) and maybe a yogurt. Tehachapi is a cute, historical railroad town and good stopover for a long road trip, but the Railroad Museum was still closed the end of October. The hotel is in a good area of town, with other hotels and restaurants --- and a short walk into a real western mountain town. We probably would have given the hotel a 4-bubble, if not for the violation of masking protocols (against company guidelines) by an employee in a key front desk role, and guests. We are seniors, so obviously it's important to us that those advertised protocols (including a HUGE sign in the small lobby) are observed. No excuse that they were not. Extra Note: I just answered the nine questions below this review. On the question "Was hotel staff required to wear face masks in public areas" I answered YES --- but the fact that the one hotel desk clerk who we mostly interacted with (she checked us in and then answered our questions later and countered me when I pointed out that her mask had slipped from her nose) was both NOT wearing her mask properly and then had it off later, when people were still in the lobby, means that this hotel flunks its observance of mask policies. The clerk we interacted with the next morning DID have her mask on properly. I reported her co-worker to her and would have spoken to management, if anyone had been there.

Ty who checked us in was friendly, dressed professionally, was courteous, great customer service skills. You need more like her. It was a good start to our vacation. The morning after our arrival went down hill. Continental breakfast was sad compared to your old breakfasts. I know it is hard to please everyone. But feeding students during Covid there are items you could offer. Milk, orange juice, yogurt, muffins, Cinnamon rolls, prepackaged foods. For breakfast I got a cold sausage, egg biscuit, which is good if I took it back to your room. I also got an orange, small bottle of water and a small granola bar. I serve more for breakfast to the students, this would be considered a snack. Then when checking out, you put your card in a box. I asked the person if this is how we check out and she murmerred something and pointed to the box. I was not offered a receipt but thankfully Ty had given me one last night.

While plotting our the 2020 road trip I needed somewhere that was a midway point between Zion National Park and the Bay Area. Mind you, Tehachapi usually isn't on my list of places to stop while in the road but I was glad we did. The Best Western in Tehachapi was fairly new and as bright as a penny. Quiet room. All of the furnishings looked brand new. The bed still had the tags on it! What a great find. This place will be on my travel stop list from here on out.

Don't stay at this hotel unless you want your money stolen by the theiving management. 3 weeks ago, I checked in for a 3-night stay. I finished my business in two days. Went to the front desk to check out a day early (an hour before daily checkout time). There was no one at the desk, just a note saying that they would return later. That's right--an unstaffed front desk at 10AM on a weekday. Anyway, I wrote a note on one of their business cards saying I was checking out a day early. I put my 2 card keys with the note and left. I called the next day, and was told that they had seen no such note and that I was being charged for the full 3 days. These people straight-up STOLE my money and then implied I was lying. Also, be aware that the cleaning staff does not wear masks. You or your grandmother may die if you stay at this hotel. I'm moving to Tehachapi (house hunting was the reason for my trip there), and I will never miss an opportunity to tell visiting guests and my fellow Tehachapians that this hotel is run by stealing filth. I PROMISE I'll cost them a lot more than the $120 or so they stole from me. If you like being exposed to deadly viruses while management steals from you, this may be your hotel. Otherwise, avoid at all costs.

One doesn't think of Tehachapi as w “normal” place to stay but for us it is halfway between home and the Bay Area. We have been pleased with the three times we've stayed over night in this Best Western Plus.

If possible, we try to stop here on north-south trips. It is always clean with large bright sunny rooms. Contemporary rooms, very comfortable beds. Good complimentary breakfast. Easy access from freeway. Within walking distance of some of downtown destinations. Check in was easy, early and even requested room change to have care visible at night. Plan to stay again.

Tehachapi is about halfway on our journey, so we decided to spend the night at this Best Western. The property still feels new and it is reflected in how fresh the room felt. The morning breakfast was good, a great way to stoke up for another long day on the road. We happened to be there during a quiet period, so it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I've grown to trust Best Western as a safe brand for lodging and the Tehachapi facility didn't disappoint.

Cut little town safe neighborhood, no problems, clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. Bed was ok nothing luxiouious but it was qiuet and slept good. Good value for the money. Good location and easy parking close to hotel no charge for parking. Not pet friendly now smoking property.

We did stay at this hotel two different times just one day each when we had been driving a very long way. Sure did like the room plus bed was great!! Also we sure did like the morning Breakfast area ~ good coffee & food!!!

The night staff "V" was especially friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the new normal food, although they did have fresh fruit, that was good. The room was clean and the cleaning staff was also very friendly. We would definatly stay there again.

Since we only had interaction with one staff member, this only reflects our experience with her. She was very unfriendly to the point of being rude. Did not give us a response when we asked several times PRIOR to check-in what the room rate was. Did not even look up or make eye contact with either of us. Was asleep at the front desk with her head on the counter when we left around 7:30 a.m.

Our visit to Tehachapi was to watch trains on the world famous Tehachapi Loop - which we did in beautiful weather from a public vantage point (appreciating much of the area is private property). We stayed on two separate nights. We had requesrted, ahead, a particular room that had been recommended on one of the "motels for train watchers" web sites and that was most appreciated. The motel was exactly as we expected and was fine. The complimentary breakfast was also exactly what we expected and was fine too. Our only issue if you could call it that was that the person at the check in desk one one of the nights clearly did not have English as her first language and her verbal communication skills were rather limited. She needed to write down or ask us to write much of the information required at check in. We are Australians and our language is English. Tehachapi is a location that attracts railroad people from all over the world and I would imagine the motel wouyld be familiar with overseas guests. But our stay was excellent and we would highly recommend the Best Western PLus Country Park Hotel with the proviso to expect that English may not always be understood.

It's unusual to stay in a hotel and not have a single complaint or something that needs fixing but that was the case here. Very clean and quiet. There were very few guests which makes a difference so not sure how it is in the summer but definitely one of the best hotels I've stayed in for the price.

I go through Tehachapi a couple of ties a year and this place is SO reliable! They have plastic, not just paper, drinking cups :=) Like most m/hotels, the reading lite at the bed is lousy and this time this one lacked a good choice of bed pillows. Otherwise great place.

The hotel room was very clean and roomy. The breakfast were surprisingly delicious. Staffs and service were excellent. The hotel location is very convenient. I would definitely go back and Highly recommended!

This hotel was well maintained and clean, had a great breakfast and was in the perfect location for all of our needs. The staff was super friendly and helped us with anything we needed. We will definitely be back to stay again!

We had a quiet room on the 3rd floor, and it was large with a nice large bathroom. Water pressure and HOT water was magnificent. We were the only ones at breakfast, so it was nice not to have the crowd that we've had at other stays. I liked the option of the cheese omelet, as well as 3 different kind of "meats". I had tried the "sausage" patty, but after it didn't have a good flavor, I retreated to bacon. Now that I've read some reviews, I guess that was the veggie patty that I tried. They were not labelled. Front desk service (both morning and evening) was not as friendly as at other properties, or engaging. No real smiles, or even attempt to interact with customers.

Beautiful setting in a quaint small town. Attentive staff and great full breakfast. Close to restaurants and shopping. Quiet room with a small patio overlooking main street and the mountains. Feel safe and enjoy your stay.

Stayed over weekend for the mountain festival. The room was clean. The waffles and vegetable patties were good on the free breakfast. The view of the railroad was great and our grandson was absolutely thrilled with all the trains he could see.

Booked our stay at this Best Western as we had enjoyed a prior stay. We had a double queen room which was roomy, clean and nice amenities. The only downside was the refrigerator was not working correctly. Also we were next to the ice machine on the 3rd floor. We had arrived late and did not want to hassle over changing rooms which I'm sure they would have accommodated and neither issue was a major inconvenience. We had a nice view of the pool area and mountains. We enjoyed the pool and hot-tub in the evening, neither of which was crowded (in August!). The breakfast had good options such as 3 egg choices (scrambled, omelet and hard-boiled) and even a veggie patty which actually tasted decent. This was our second time staying at this Best Western and it's a pleasant place.

We loved our stay in Tehachapi at this Best Western Plus. Our room was very large and spacious. Well decorated, clean, attractive. Comfortable bed, good a.c., even comfortable chair and couch to sit on while watching t.v. or reading. Would definitely like to have Room 142 again at this hotel.

They bring breakfast from next door from the Marriott Hotel next door. There are no freezer's in the refrigerator in the rooms. It is owned by the same people that own the Marriott Hotel. They sever breakfast at the Marriott first then the Best Western.

Very friendly staff at the front desk. The two young ladies checking us in both had great smiles and made for a very pleasant trip. The hotel is very close to the Tehachapi Loop which is what I had come to see.

Enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Overall, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our suite was clean, modern, and roomy. Would stay there again if in the area. Breakfast was good. Wireless internet was fast.

Nothing to write home about here. Typical BWP with all the normal facilities, pool and breakfast. Good luck if you get an older oriental lady on check in!!! I heard someone say she is the owner, but she doesn't speak or understand English that well. They seem to cater to Cal-Trans workers and I think their prices are a little high because of it. OK for a night but not a destination hotel.

Friendly staff. Clean. They were able to accommodate us for an early check in after we had a bad experience with another hotel. The rooms and lobby were clean. We will definitely be staying here again next time in Tehachapi

I called a couple of weeks before our stay to request a handicapped room. When we arrived the oriental woman at the front desk argued with me that I did not reserve a handicapped room. After haggling over this for a couple of minutes she finally gave me the room. She was rude and unfriendly. Additionally the place is super noisy. Also, there is no list of nearby restaurants in the room. There's a hokey list on the wall near the lobby desk. We also noticed a huge pile of laundry - towels - right in the lobby. Very unprofessional. We won't be back.

We had the handicapped room but it was missing the mark. The bed was too high so anyone below 5ft 6in have somewhat of a tough time getting up into the bed. The shower had the grab bars but the towels and towel rack was on the wall in the shower and at 6 feet above the ground so anyone in a wheelchair or short stature could not reach the towels. The bed was comfortable once yo get up into it. The laundry facility was clean. The front desk agent was nice also.

The rooms are large with a comfortable bed. The breakfast was perfect and more than I needed to eat. Staff was friendly and the rooms clean. My only complaint was the smell of stale smoke coming through the air conditioner.

The staff that we met were very accommodating and the rooms were quite large and comfortable and while the rooms we had were on the same floor, we couldn't imagine a poor location on the property. Just be aware, and it has nothing to do with the hotel, that all the restaurants nearby, and there are many, close early (by our standards anyway). The one we had planned to go to, and in fact even shared an appetizer for lunch so we could enjoy dinner, closed at 8PM!!!

What a comfortable place to stay. Rooms are clean with very comfortable beds. The shower is great too. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with fresh fruit which is becoming a rarity. We would definitely stay here again.

We decited to stay in Tehachapi for the night. This BW Plus was very nice. We asked to see the room prior to committing and found it to be clean, and the bed firm enough to our liking. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our room faced the road and railroad so if you are sensitive to occasional vehicle noise you might ask for a room not facing it. I have no idea if a train went by but did hear an occasional loud vehicle. The ac/heat unit sound masks most of the outside noise. Unfortunately, we were not able to shower in the morning because we couldn't pull the shower handle out to get the water flowing. Being in our pjs and ready to get the day started we didn't call to get assistance. Apparently the handle needed a much more powerful tug to get it to work but we were reluctant to yank more since it seemed not to give...... Breakfast was The standard make your waffle and some eggs, and sausage. The eggs and meat hadn't been replenished and looked pretty sad. No one was in charge of the breakfast so I imagine the reception person does it. We decided to skip it, as we did the shower, since we were only a few hours from home and close to other restaurants for breakfast options.

We always stay here when we are passing through Tehachapi. We would definitely recommend it to anyone. The rooms are nice and clean, and the breakfast is usually good. The staff members are friendly as well.

Nice water pressure in shower. Water was soft. Didn't dry out my skin or hair. Breakfast was OK. Regular, serve yourself, continental type breakfast. The sizes were a little on the small side. Small bagels, muffins, sausage patties.

Nice hotel- very clean and the breakfast was nice. Although the room was clean, it smelled a little “sweaty”, so some fresh air would have been nice. The bed was a little lumpy but it was a nice economical stay after a long drive from Sacramento. I would Recvommend this hotel.

We arrived during a snow storm and were promptly greeted with great care to insure our comfort and safety during what seemed a precarious situation. Mellissa at the front desk made us feel welcomed and went the extra mile to insure our stay was comfortable and warm.

My husband stays here a few times per month for business. I decided to join him,along with our kids and we had a great stay here! Room was clean and quiet. Nice decor, mattress was firm enough to not hurt my back. The staff was very helpful, polite and professional. They do offer a complimentary breakfast but I didn't have it as I wanted to explore some restaurants in town. All in all, a wonderful stay. Definitely will make a visit here again!

I've stayed in a lot of Best Westerns... I don't know what makes this one a BW+... except that they offer breakfast... overall, it's very average. Functional...gets it done but without any ambiance...in the lobby or anywhere on the property.

I stayed at this hotel twice in the past month and both times I encountered staff that were helpful and accommodating. The hotel was very quiet, the breakfast had great options, and the beds were comfortable.

Nice appearance on the outside , we booked a king suite , it is just an oversized room . We managed to put a rollaway in it since we have 2 tall boys. The room was clean, basic Best Western. Great for a overnight stay between Las Vegas and Lodi . Friendly staff , enough parking. Breakfast pretty good , everyone found something they liked. Coffee and Tea available 24 hours with different creamer, nice touch . Would stay there again on a overnight trip.

Had the worse experience ever. There was pee In the bath tub. Place is really dirty. Staff was so rude. 16 year old kid working there as a manager treated me like I was in high school. Told me he wouldn't give me a refund. I had to yell at this kid in order to get my money back, I shouldn't have to go that far to get a refund. I have a 7 month old daughter who was tired my wife was upset I was crying my wife was tired I was tired and my daughter was crying and it was 9:00 pm and I need to give my daughter a bath. As I was walking out of the hotel he said to me," have a nice time finding another hotel" with a big smile. Who the heck is this kid to talk to me like this. He's going to disrespect the wrong person one of these days.

We stay here when we are in this area. The staff here is always helpful and polite. The rooms are always clean and in good working order. The breakfast has good choices and is always kept full. The owner spends a lot of time in the hotel which shows me that she cares that things are done right. I will be staying here again when I am in the area,

all was good except the arrangement of the room, the desk and chair were at the foot of the bed , you could not pass by- the room was big a better arrangement could have happened. cleen room, nice window. great bed.

I love this place. About twice a year I stay here on one leg of a trip I make regularly. I'm a woman traveling alone and I always feel totally safe. The breakfasts are typical but reliable. The bed linens are very high quality. I love having the option of running the fan without either heat or A/C.

The hotel has a nice appearance from the outside. The room was clean, but lacking in comfort items, such as a chair. The bathroom amenities were very lacking -- one bottle of shampoo/conditioner and an extra bottle of conditioner. No body lotion offered. The refrigerator has a sign on it that it is shut off when you arrive in the room. Well, it takes a few hours for the refrigerator to get cold, so subsequently, our items we placed into the refrigerator were not very cold!

Lovely lobby and very nice room with high ceilings. Huge bathroom with privacy wall for toilet. Breakfast was good and plenty of choices. Beds were great with lots of pillows. We had a room that faced the road but we did not hear any trains during our stay.

I was very pleased with this Hotel, and would recommend it. although I think a little training with the staff is in order. desk clerk was having a bad day, and it showed. She should try to smile. might make her feel better.

Had to get a hotel last minute due to a death in the family on July 4th. The location was perfect, the hotel was clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was tasty. Would definitely recommend to others and would come back if the need arose.

A very typical Best Western. That's a good thing! I had some trouble with my reservation, but that was't the hotels doing and it was quickly fixed. (sort of). The room was clean, roomy, quiet. I usually stay in another city on my return trips home, but wanted something different. Tehachapi is a cute town with lots of nice restaurants and will go back another time and stay at this same hotel.

I was very happy with my stay here. I was here for four nights and was happy I chose this hotel. The AC was nice and cold, the room was very clean, they gave me fresh towels and sheets, a comfy king bed, and nice restroom. I didn't get to go swimming but it looked nice. They had a small gym with treadmills, a continental breakfast, which was actually really good! The staff was very friendly on all shifts. Each one of them had a smile and were very helpful! I highly recommend staying here to everyone! Great job Best Western!

We stay at this motel about once or twice each year. It's a very well run motel and the town is a nice place. Suggest Jake's Steak House for excellent food. The elevation is higher so it's quite a bit cooler than other nearby locations.

This is a nice place to stay while praying through Tehachapi. We've stayed here several times. The rooms are clean and comfortable . The breakfast is okay, and there was a sign that said you could ask for gluten free bread!

My wife and I stay here whenever we are passing through the area. We are always greeted warmly and the rooms have always been clean. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Breakfast has plenty of options and is always fresh. Will be staying again next time we are in town.

This was a nice hotel that we basically only slept in. We were on a long drive from Palm Springs to Seattle. The beds are super comfy. The breakfast was pretty good. All staff was friendly. I would stay here again!

Beautiful hotel.....more than I was expecting for a small desert town! Great bed and amenities. My husband and I did not take advantage of the free breakfast so we could sleep longer. My only complaint is that the breakfast hours are always so early.

We enjoy Best Western as you are treated with courtesy and kindness. The evening receptionist was wonderful, I have forgotten her name but she was very cheerful, helpful and a smile that warmed a person's heart. accommodations were great. Thank you.

The staff was very friendly. The only problem with the room is that it could be a little cleaner..for instance the sink in the wet bar has some hard like paint it which was a real turnoff. The breakfast was good, but they need a full time attendant on mondays. The coffee was out and the sausage had two left and they were hard.

Centrally located with good parking and a short flat walk to the local restaurants As with most places in town noise could be an issue being this close to the railway, however we could barely hear it and we both slept well in their comfortable bed. The room was well appointed and clean. The bedding is good quality and was soft to the touch. The reception staff were friendly. A comfortable stop in town and a bit better than their sister place alongside albeit at a greater cost. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit available and they did not mind me taking some with me.

This place really surprised me. I did not expect to be staying in such a nice place. Also, the gym has a sauna there. I have never seen that in a hotel. I had to try it out because it was snowing outside. It was great! The shower was powerful and so relaxing. I liked that the towels are inside the bath/ shower area. I have never seen that before and it was a really smart design that I truly appreciated. The place was clean, very clean. The bed was more comfortable than my sleep number bed at home. The shampoo smelled nice and felt good. Breakfast was nice with scrambled eggs, waffles, cereal, fresh juice, milk, coffee and more. I did clog the toilet once and asked for someone to bring me a plunger and 2 minutes later a beautiful woman showed up with a plunger and a smile. That was very cool. They deserve every bit of the 5 Star review I gave them.

The room was clean, the front desk staff businesslike, the fitness equipment usable, the breakfast okay. Nothing real good, nothing horrible. The town itself is a good place to stop and relax. Petra deli was great and the Kohnen's Bakery is superb.

My family recently stopped and stayed one night at this location. Worst mistake! The bed was rock hard! The bed was so hard that when you sat down it had no give whatsoever. Sleeping on that for one night was torture. I would not even call it sleeping. My husband and I tossed and turned all night it was so awful. When we got up in the morning we were both in pain! It felt like we slept on a piece of plywood on the ground. Thats the best way to describe it. I've had better sleep camping than sleeping on this bed in this hotel. The kids slept on the pull out sofa. The mattress was very thin with big gaps between the mattress and sofa portion. I had to shove pillows in the couch so my kids arms would not get stuck in the side of the sofa. When we checked out in the morning I notified the front desk of our horrible stay. I was told they would have house keeping look at the bed. Really?! There was no apology or offer to make it right or offer of full or partial refund. They did not care. Very poor service. The breakfast was decent that's about it. Save yourself time, pain and money and stay elsewhere.

Well maintained, quiet, comfortable, great bed, good internet. Morning staff were so cheerful it had a nice effect on everyone in the breakfast room. A wonderful surprise was the quality of the breakfast: real eggs, well-prepared. And the fruit was good. Quite a treat in these days of institutional food offerings.

The last time I was here was about twenty years ago. This place was a nice place back then, and now has been remodeled, refurbished, and very nice. Very quiet and clean , a restful home away from home to stay.

Long drive on a chilly day brought us to warm, lovely hotel with large,quiet rooms and comfortable beds. Check in was fast and easy, as was check out next day. Very clean, good breakfast. Lots of local nearby restaurants to choose from.

We have stayed here a few times in the past when on a Road Trip. Rooms are always clean and the staff very nice and accommodating. This time there was a new person working the front desk older woman and not very helpful and certainly not very happy to see anyone. Our most disturbing thing was she had my credit card in her hand and then took off with it down the hall supposedly to see if the room was ready! That is something I can't handle after having our cards used previously by someone when we were on a trip. She then told me the room was ready in her not friendly voice and proceeded to tell me that Breakfast tomorrow was 7:00 to 10:00 I looked at their sign and said not 6:00 to 9:00? She said No 7:00 to 10:00! Next morning we go at 9:10 no one in the area but a little food was out so we made a small plate and then a young woman came over and asked if we wanted the lights on and we said no, she said very politely well we close at 9:00 on Monday. I proceeded to explain the encounter with the older woman the day before and she apologized for the error. Whoever this older woman is she has no business being in the front desk she is going to run everyone away! However the young woman has great Customer Service Skills and she is a keeper! She even gave us extra Bonus Points because of the confusion. Not sure we will stay here again but again it is a nice place to stay.

We were on our way from southern to central California- and this Best Western was a good stopping point before dropping down into the smoggy, murky area near Bakersfield in the valley. We're glad we stopped. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and accommodating, and there is a variety of good restaurants from which to choose within a short proximity of this hotel. The price is a little higher than some of their competitors, but the amenities make it worth the extra. I will come back next time we're passing through.

Staying here made an unpleasant experience (our trans went out on our car) into a quite pleasant one. The service and comfort of BW was great. We appreciated the attention to detail and our situation. Tehachapi is well worth discovering too!

We were on our way to attend a Funeral in California and were stopping for the night.The Hotel was nice and it was a good night's rest.I really can't think of a lot to say as my mind was on the funeral coming up.

Nothing bad to say about this place. If your passing through and need to stop and rest this is the place. I would have taken photos but I was coming down with a cold. Take my word for it. Good spot. Your welcome.

I rarely stay at Best Westerns, since in the past, they all seemed a bit old and run down. But based on reviews, we tried this hotel and were blown away! Probably one of the cleanest, quietest hotel I've stayed in over the past couple of years. Great location, and I loved hearing the train whistle as it went by! Although I tend to love an ultra modern décor, the lobby and room were comfortable and "homey". Paint and carpet look and smell brand new. Bed was extremely comfortable. Room temp perfect. We were in a suite and would have liked a second TV and a way to close off the sofa area from the "bedroom", but was told by reception that may be forthcoming in a remodel down the road. I would happily stay in the future.

To avoid LA. This chain member is ok, better then what else is available in town. But let's face it, Tehachapi is on nobody's bucket list. If you are using it as a pit stop (just like the railroads used to), you could do a lot worse. Check the Best Western website for deals as there seem to be a lot of price moves recently.

We stay mostly at Best Westerns for many reasons, cleanliness, comfort, breakfast, cost, etc. This one was especially nice. Room was a suite and having the couch, etc. besides just a bed is wonderful. Staff were friendly and helpful and felt like welcomed guests.

Clean n spacious rooms. Like the hot breakfast which was nice. Disappointed that hot tub was closed for the Fall until the Spring/Summer. They only missed one requested room clean. Room was cleaned the following day.

Right off the main strip, easy to get to. All rooms are inside. I would stay here anytime. Have free breakfast and its well worth it. I travel with a person in a wheel chair and the rooms are big enough to move around.

Great value for the price. I had a long, tiring drive from the Bay Area, about 300 miles, and was very tired when I reached property. I was upgraded and treated with sympathy and directed to a very nice place for dinner. The suite was very roomy, well-appointed and everything in working order. Room was very clean with plentiful supplies and amenities. A very good start for my trip.

We have stayed at this hotel numerous time and have always had a good experience. The rooms are pleasant and the beds are comfortable. The hotel is located conveniently to restaurants, shopping and freeway access. The staff is pleasant and very helpful.

This hotel is located right on the main street and is convenient to restaurants and businesses. We found the staff to be very courteous and helpful. The hotel is well kept up & clean from the parking lot, to the lobby, halls, elevator and rooms! Beds and other furniture were comfortable and attractive. Breakfast had many tasty choices and was well presented. We will stay at this hotel whenever we return to Tehachapi in the future!

The young man who checked us in was wonderful, and helped me with my husband and luggage as well. He gave us an accessible room on the first floor and treated us excellently even though we were walk-ins. He told us were local stores, and some local restaurants were located. Totally wonderful service. We were on the way home after a very long drive and this stay refreshed us. Great breakfast also.

This is my favorite hotel in Tehachapi. I always receive wonderful service. The breakfast is wonderful and they have a "to go" bag for those of us leaving early and in a hurry. The beds are very comfy and showers have awesome pressure!

Decided to stay overnight as the trip from San Fran to Vegas was too long for our tired eyes. We arrived around midday and got a room no problems (Monday, September). The room was a nice size, comfy beds and very clean. The shower was amazing, super powerful! All in all, a great stay and reasonable price.

Very clean, attractive hotel within walking distance to local amenities. Staff was very helpful, kind and very polite. This hotel is a nice stopping off place when traveling on the 58 highway. Train activity can be noisy at times however nice to see the train activity.

Very impressed with the hotel and the town of Tehachapi. Nice small community where everyone was very friendly. Pretty area. The hotel had a nice outdoor pool & was very quiet. Very pleased. I would definatly stay again.

A good hotel in a good location. The staff could be a little more friendly. They are very efficient, but no smiles, no welcome. However the hotel is clean, well appointed, breakfast OK as free breakfast goes.

Stopped at this hotel on our way to Las Vegas for one night. The personal were very nice, good service, nice room. The pool area was okay. Good breakfast with various of food to eat. Near to some restaurants and a store with good prices.

We've stayed at this Best Western before on our annual trips to Tehachapi (my husband and I both went to high school here). The King Suite was very spacious and plenty big enough for 3 of us. The King bed was very comfortable. The pull out couch was a pull out couch, can't say it was the most comfortable! But it allowed us to have a friend stay with us. Upon checking in, our TV wasn't working. We called the front desk and to my surprise they immediately came and switched out our TV. The front desk staff was courteous and helptul. The free breakfast is a great value and was a nice amenity. Overall, we will choose to stay at this Best Western again because we know the quality we can expect.

We asked to check in early, and the sign said Check-In at 1:00. We were told we could not. We also were met by some lady who never introduced herself, no name tag, no smile, no welcome. I was the one who had to ask if we got water for being Rewards Members, mind you we are Platinum, which isn't the top, but you have to stay at alot of best westerns to receive that.

We attended Camp Kiya, a music camp up in the hills above Tehachapi, Ca.. It is very rustic and I take my sisters grand children. The girls are just teenagers, as well as a pre teen boy so I get a hotel so that we can get cleaned up and are well rested for the next day. it is located so that the camp is easily accessible and near a Starbuck's. An excellent choice! The kid's love it! Stayed there for the last five years.

Mrs Voo was great , she always made our family feel very welcomed . My parents have both passed and they were friends from back in the 70. Now as an adult when i come to visit this area she makes my family feel special. Thank you Toni Carroll Salhus

stayed there 2 nights first night no soap hair or bar in the room glad I brought some. Break fast next day No coffee eggs ice cold. 2nd day were are the wash cloths there were 4 I used one now all gone, at least I had soap and towel skipped their breakfast no ice cold eggs for me ,Checked out told the front desk about no wash cloths they said they would tell house keeping. Dose not do me any good.

Everything was at our convenience and the staff was exceptionally great. They went over and above when they saw our family and was a very good feeling. I would recommend BW in Tehachapi, California for any of my family or friends. It had all the amenities, you could not ask for anything more. Ten plus for this hotel.

This hotel is beautiful. It has a great pool and spa which we used every day. Staff was all very pleasant. The room was comfortable and had great emenities including a fridge, cable tv, and microwave. Housekeeping did a great job with a room cleanup as we stayed a couple days. The breakfast was nothing less than excellent. Make you own waffles were tasty. Sausage eggs (scrambled and hard boiled) juice and fresh fruit, muffins cinnamon rolls. I was impressed. This BW Plus was recommended by fellow reviewers so I biked it instead of the 'normal' BW which is located right next to the Plus. Compared to another BW Plus in the U.S. it is not as good. However, the usual cleanliness and good beds apply. And the hot tub was very nice also.

I stay at this hotel on Business travel. The rooms are always clean. The hotel staff are always helpful and professional. Nice Best western property to stay at. The train goes by the motel and I never hear it. The town of Tehachapi is a nice little place to visit. I would rate this motel as an 8 out of top 10 motels I stay at.

Room was good and no complaints about front desk or services. Breakfast was not good. Eggs seemed old and dried out and at 7 am almost out. Sausage was marginal. I have stayed in this hotel before and did not experience the breakfast issue before so I hope this is just a bad day for the hotel.

This Best Western was above average. I had a problem with the TV set; the night associate made sure the problem was solved effectively. I will recommend and rebook this motel if I drive through Tehachapi.

Nice, clean hotel in Tehachapi area. Stayed at this location multiple times for business and never had a problem. The rooms are clean and the bed is surprisingly comfortable. The vending machine has been out of order for quite some time so that needs to be addressed. The fitness center has a sauna and multiple workout machines but is a bit cramped in my opinion. They could do with a few less machines and more space. Overall, a great value and location.

Enjoyed our stay clean room, great service and friendly mgmt. Used the Hot Tub - very hot. Staff told us where to eat dinner. Breakfast is perfect just the right items all hot and ready to eat. I know BW from riding the Harley and this chain being motorcycle friendly.

We have stayed at this hotel a few times and have always been impressed with the staff and the cleanliness of this hotel. It is also centrally located for places to go and things to do. There is also a great bakery not far from the hotel. The bread they make is fantastic.

Had the privilege of spending a few days at the Best Western in Tehachapi. The hotel is very nice with clean comfortable rooms and THE BEST shower in any hotel. Good breakfast as well with a waffle maker!! Recommend.

Very basic overall ok accommodations. Not too many places to stay in downtownTehachapi. Room seemed a little dirty and fridge did not work. There were plenty of towels in the bathroom but cheap toiletries.

There are not very many options in Tehachapi. Satisfied overall, but this is the second time I have experienced dirty carpets. Can't walk barefoot. They need to replace the carpets or clean there more often.

We have stayed here twice before, and each time was a pleasant, comfortable stay. We stayed the 30th of May and 12th of June on this trip. The staff is friendly and very helpful. The beds in the suites are comfortable, but we have learned to carry our own pillows. We had no problems on either stay and breakfast was delicious.

Great value at this hotel. The guest room was very nice. I stayed 3 nights in a suite.for a very reasonable price. The bed was very comfortable; I slept very well, which is good because this was a business stay with very early mornings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't speak to the breakfast, because of those early mornings. Here is my greatest challenge with this stay. As I said before, this was a business stay. Therefore, I really needed to use the WiFi regularly. I was on the second floor at the end farthest from the lobby. I could not get a decent WiFi signal at all the entire stay. This hotel has only one WiFi access point to cover the entire building. That made connection difficult for me anywhere but in the lobby and the breakfast room. The business center computers are in the lobby next to the front desk just a few feet away from the central gathering area in the lobby. In order for me to get any work done I had to spend quite a lot of time sitting at the "Business Center.". This meant there was no privacy for doing work i would normally do in my room which I couldn't do without WiFi access. I am a loyal Best Western guest. I usually do not have connectivity issues. This was a disappointment, because otherwise my stay was great.

Room and linens clean, beds comfortable. Pillows could be thicker, almost too soft. Breakfast was delicious. TV is great on swivel. Overall stay was great. Plan to stay again next month. More family events

Good and professional staff the were both friendly and helpful. The room was very clean but found the bed to somewhat hard to sleep on. Good breakfast that was more than adequate. Would recommend this hotel that is looking for a good hotel at a reasonable price.

The room was clean and quiet. We wanted two adjoining rooms and I found out that the woman who checked us in was actually the owner and was very quick to accommodate our request. All the towels and sheets were clean and I have absolutely no complaints about this location.

This is a good place to stop on our way to Las Vegas. Very clean. The breakfast was nice. We will definitely stop here again. I would recommend this hotel. The ADA room was comfortable and the bed was great.

The only thing that disturbed me was that several people ran up and down the hallway for several hours, screaming and talking at the top of their lungs. I was kept awake until after 2 a.m. I could tell that they were intoxicated. I had very little sleep because of them. You need to have some way of controlling your patrons with al lease periodic visual appearance in the hallways of each floor. I could not stay for breakfast, so I cannot comment on the quality of food service. Linda Robinett

I recently stayed 2 nights at this hotel. It had a clean lobby, big enough to gather with friends, unlike the BW Mountain Inn next door. Not as nice as the Fairfield, but close. The room was clean and well kept. Shower was clean with good water pressure. Beds were clean and comfortable. Bed spreads were very white, so it was easy to see they were clean and looked new. In fact, everything seemed pretty new. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had many options and it was pretty good. I would stay here again.

Clean and had large rooms. Beds were nice and were medium firm. Only complaint was don't use the please clean room sign as staff didn't read it and thought it was do not disturb. Other than that, I'll be back with the family.

We were pleased with the size of the room and its amenities, such as a free hot breakfast, free internet and a comfortable couch in the room. We appreciated a large elevator that would hold our luggage comfortably.

When staying at this hotel, be sure not to leave anything behind when checking out because you will NOT get it back. Being in a hurry and rushing out the door can be common when you're in hurry to get back home! My husband left several items behind including bathroom essentials, a prescription & phone charger. When he realized, he called the hotel immediately and they said "There's nothing in lost & found. The manager can call you tomorrow." The manager never returned his call so he called back. Once again they told him, "There's nothing in lost & found." Clearly there is a thief in their staff somewhere if that many things can come up missing & "nothing" is ever in the lost & found. Management needs to get their staff trained better or hire more trustworthy people. Stealing prescriptions is a crime.

Excellent as always. The only place I would stay at in the area, which is often, at least once a month. Travel here on business and they remember me, put me in the rooms that I prefer if available, and always go out of there way to make me comfortable.

It was clean, roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast included eggs and bacon as well as all the usual breakfast items. Coffee was hot which is always a good thing first thing in the morning.

I stayed in this hotel 4 night for business. I have stayed in many Best Western Plus and this is the worst I have ever seen. The rooms are average at best, needs an update.. the pillows are very small so they give you 4 to make 2 pillows. Vending machines only work on 1st floor. Hotel overall is not very clean. The owner or Manager Asian women was very rude when asked to please fill up coffee in Breakfast area acted like she was being put out. Tables were dirty food on counters not cleaned up after guests, cold eggs. I can only compare with other BWP and this does not deserve a plus rating hotel... There is a Fairfield Marriott next door, I will be going for business over the next 4 months and will stay there, work colleagues say this is a much cleaner and better hotel.

The room was very nice. The beds were extremely comfortable. They need firmer pillows, though. Soap was impressive (believe it or not). Breakfast was very good as well. Most impressive was the owner, Mrs. Yu. She is very nice and works harder than any employee. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

We booked thru best western.com as they gave an additional discount. The room was clean, linens & furnishings looked very new. We received discount cards for a couple of nearby restaurants from Brian, our desk clerk. Breakfast was very nice with hot scrambled eggs and Canadian bacon. Lots of breakfast choices.

The hotel was very clean and the beds were so comfortable. The housekeeping service went out of your way to make sure you had everything that you needed. A very nice and homey environment. The breakfast was not so bad.

We have stayed at this location several times. The rooms have always been quite and comfortable. Breakfast is decent with selections of eggs and waffles being the highlight of choices. The one disturbing thing this time was that the front desk clerk did not seem to want to help us at check-in. He never told where our room was and in fact watched as I went the wrong way down the hall. Also was never told what time breakfast started or where is was served. However I am hoping that this was a one time event as the staff here in the past has always been helpful.

Although I think the hotel is fine, I can't stand that this business uses Styrofoam for cups, plates, bowls. It's 2017 and the hotel is in California, get with the time. Many cities, like Orange County, Washington DC, New York City have all outlawed Styrofoam and I think Best Western's should too. It's hard for me to believe that they really save money with this product. Even if they were saving a few dollars, the money saved is not worth the harm this product causes to the environment and to the workers who are exposed to high levels of Styrene (the basic building block of styrofoam). Please start using something else, dishes that can be washed, compostable dishes, or even paper dishes

As a frequenter of Best Western properties, this is by far one of the best I've ever stayed at. Now the property and rooms are nice enough, but what stood out was the excellent customer service I received from their front desk staff. After spending a few uncomfortable hours in the car I was fairly cranky and it probably showed as I arrived to check in with my three kids. The front desk clerk was incredibly kind and helpful, and was quick to help me with my many requests (roll away bed, extra sheets, adding an extra night). When my key card malfunctioned she took care of it right away and offered cookies that she had baked for the guests. Though I had arrived cranky, she helped turn my mood around which helped me to enjoy my stay and relax. As for the amenities, I'm not going to lie and say the breakfast was awesome, but Kohnen's bakery is just a short walk from the hotel. The beds were alright, but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. Overall, I highly recommend staying here as the rooms are decently valued, the staff is amazing, and the proximity to downtown Tehachapi is a definite bonus.

Pros: The rooms was clean. They had been updated but had a utilitarian look. Cons: The breakfast was just cheap. It was cooked at the BW next door and walked over. The hot container for the eggs and sausage had not been plugged in so these were cold. At least we could heat them in the microwave. The one vacuum of regular coffee was empty for over a half hour. The girls taking care of the food were totally not interested. There were pictures of waffles and fresh fruit taped around the room but none in sight. The food selection and amounts were meager. As a frequent traveler, BW is my motel of choice but this is certainly not a plus property.

We have been staying at the Country Park Hotel in Tehachapi four or five times a year since it opened & always return because the service is friendly & the rooms are always clean & pleasant. They serve a very nice breakfast every morning.

The front desk ladies were very rude, unfriendly and unhelpful. This is the worst Best Western I have ever stayed. The front desk lady was folding laundry towels right by the front desk. She also had to prepare breakfast. I guess she had to do everything, that's why she looked so miserable and unfriendly. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and comfortable, it's a new hotel. I stayed here last year, experienced the same treatment. I thought I would give it another try this year, service was even worse. Will not come back again!!!!!

This hotel is very clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. The train that rumbles through town is heard on this property and every other property in the area. The front desk clerk was the best ever. When I could not find the hair dryer in the room, he came in and found it stuck behind the ironing board. He was exceptional in his service.

We only stay one night, but have always been very satisfied with this site and probably stay there at least four times a year. We would recommend asking for a room on the back side of the hotel if you aren't a sound sleeper. There can be some noise from trains, but not bad.

this was a very good hotel. best western has some very nice places to stay. I have stayed at other chains because of economic reasons,but some of them are just not as well taken care of as the best western chain.

We have stayed many times in this hotel while visiting family in the area. The hotel location is right in town with many restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. The rooms are large and well-equipped. The wifi is fast an simple to log into. The free breakfast includes most breakfast items typically found in motels including eggs, meat, waffles, cold cereals, pastries, juice, coffee, etc.

On our way to Sunnyvale from Las Vegas, and decided to stop. Very clean, very attractive, very comfortable. Room very clean with really nice furniture, great bed, sitting area, ceiling fan, nice bathroom. Very pleased with the room, especially at a reasonable price. Breakfast was one of the best we have eaten at a Best Western with great eggs, waffles, meat, cereal, etc. Would certainly stay here again and recommend it to others.

We never miss the County Park Hotel when we are in the vicinity of Tehachapi. We have stayed at least 15 times over the years and have never been dissatisfied! Tehachapi is a charming community and fun to visit. We love to hear the whistle of the trains as they pass through.

Booked this hotel as a one night stop on route to Lake Havasu.Ideal for a one night stop, woud not recommend for much longer. Room was large and claen and the buffet breakfast was adequate. There was no restaurant but plenty of fod options nearby.

Consistently nice place to stay in this area. Get a room on the south side if you are light sleeper who could be bothered by trains at night. Double windows make it pretty quiet though. Nice rooms with comfy beds. Breakfast was simple but very good quality.

We have written many other reviews about this hotel and nothing has changed. We've always been more than satisfied. You can depend on a clean room, pleasant staff and a full breakfast. If you are military or a government employee, be sure to check out their reduced rates.

Stop in Tehachapi on my way north for family visit. Hotel is clean and unexpectedly had a balcony, although the furniture was a little dirty. Town is charming and wish I had time to explore. There is a great sushi restaurant about a half block away.

While traveling thru Cali I was forced to spend a night on the way to Burbank and stopped at this hotel in Tehachapi. I checked in pretty late, but I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel (considering that I had some bad experiences with Best Western in the past). Things looked very new, the room was really nicely arranged, amenities ok. Recommend it warmly, whether it's for business in the area or vacation trip.

Very rare to find a Best Western with the sink area inside the bathroom. Those of you who stay at BW know what I mean. Nice room. Very comfortable. Breakfast area too small for number of guests and basic food items, but ok. Very nice staff. Large enough parking for all.

This hotel had great facillities, room was huge with a great layout. For $130 a night with free parking, breakfast and a pool you can't get much better than that. I have only given 4 stars because the woman that checked us in had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. Not acceptable behaviour for someone in hospitality and should not be working at front desk. All other staff including cleaners were lovely.

I needed a room for the evening in Tehachapi, I checked Tripadvisor and this was #1 booking. Centrally located in town on main street, easy access to freeway and downtown local restaurants near by. I looked online for pricing and was able to get the King Suite for $116. more than enough room, clean and comfortable. Easy check in , Pool and fitness area, also a hot tub spa. I would definitely stay here again. Consider Big papas restaurant or Red Roof BBQ great food.

This place was great. All the staff was really nice and helpful. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. At the end of town but close to a lot of places to eat. I would stay here again. The only reason I didn't give it excellent is because I always believe there is room for improvements.

We come to Tehachapi 3 or 4 times a year to see the loop & always stay at the Country Park Hotel. The staff is wonderful, the rooms are clean & nice & the breakfast is good. The added bonus for rail fans is being able to see trains from the property!!

We used to stay in Bakersfield until this BW was recommended to us. This has become our "half-way" stop between Las Vegas and San Francisco. The hotel is clean and well kept. The front desk staff are very professional and pleasant. The hotel has sound-proof windows so you don't hear any trains or other activity. Tehachapi is a nice little town in the mountain pass. Very pleasant and restful.

For some weird reason if you find yourself in Tehachapi and you need a comfortable, clean hotel to stay at, the Best Western is a great choice. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very large, with a king size bed, and a separate sitting room. The hotel offers a free breakfast ever morning that includes, eggs, sausage, waffles (cool make-it-yourself waffle iron) muffins, cereal and muffins. I was very disappointed to see that the hotel offers no recycling program, they use plastic cups in the room and Styrofoam dishes cups for breakfast. There is no excuse for this.

If you are going to the Techachapi area this is a good hotel to stay in. It is very clean, reasonable rate and very central location. Close to the Rt 58, the main highway. Easy to find and close to anything yiou may need. Would definately stay here again.

Best value per dollar I've experienced in 20 hotel nights in the last 60 days. Appreciated the plastic (not paper) cups, great pillows, good reading lights at the bed, decent sized TV for the room and a ceiling fan! Wonderful.

I was impressed that in spite of the railroad being right across the street from our room, we never head or felt the train. I did not like that you could not adjust the AC temperature. It was a little too warm at times for me. I did like that they provided boxes of free items for the Pacific Crest Trail hikers.

The Best Western Plus Country Park Hotel is centrally located in Tehachapi. It is close to restaurants and shops. The hotel is well kept. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast bar had a great selection of food and beverages.

We come to Tehachapi at least 3 times a year & always choose the Country Park Hotel. The hotel is always clean & fresh & the staff is really nice. We always enjoy the free breakfast. If you are coming to Tehachapi to view trains on the loop they go right by this hotel.

If you ever find yourself in the mountain town of Tehachapi, the Best Western Plus is the place to stay. Clean, quiet, and friendly service. The location is perfect for visiting the local restaurants and shops. I found a very nice Vietnamese restaurant that served an amazing meal and the price was also amazing. The town is easy to maneuver.

Excellent, big rooms, nice breakfast. We visited it in winter going to Las Vegas from San Jose CA. good stop point to rest, the hotel is excellent in all aspects. The pool is heated and nice for relaxing even in cold days. Service is a plus and even has a small market for eating in the room.

We experience car troubles on a driving vacation and ended up needing to spend the night in Tehachapi. Saw all the great reviews for the Best Western Plus Country Park Hotel, so we gave it a try. They had a nice quiet king room on the third floor available at a very reasonable rate. Despite the prvious reviewer's complaint about the hard bed, we found it very comfortable. The room was very clean, in good condition and very quiet. The front desk staff was professional, efficient and welcoming. The continental breakfast was very good with a nice array of cold and hot foods which were replenished regularly and very clean. I would highly recommend staying here. It was a very nice experience! Thank you to the proprietors and staff.

Great staff and service but bed so hard could not sleep at all. It was like trying to sleep on the floor. Would not recommend this hotel for this reason. Everything else was fine the stall was very friendly and helpful and the morning food service was allright.

We come to Techapi 2 or 3 times a year & always stay at The Country Park Hotel because it is nice & clean & the staff is great. If you are coming to see the Tehachapi Loop this is a great place to stay since trains pass by.

Any time in Tehachapi, Ca. we stay at the Best Western Plus. The king suite separates the sleeping area from a living room, giving you more space than many normal standard rooms. The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The breakfast is average, but they do serve eggs and a breakfast meat. Some light sleepers complain about occasional railroad train noise at night, but in Tehachapi that's a fact of life for any hotel. We think the hotel is a very good value for the money and recommend it for anyone looking to stay in Tehachapi, Ca.

Booked online while travelling when we knew how far we were going to get on our road trip. Reservation was perfect. Were given options as to what floor we wanted: Knowing it was windy helped us select a room not on the 3rd floor given that in the past when staying here while a fierce wind was blowing resulted in the roof vents flapping all night. 2nd floor was perfect and no obnoxious neighbors making noise nor stomping around on our heads. Friendly front desk at check-in and later regarding food delivery suggestions for dinner. Room was roomy, spotless, and comfortable.

Stayed here on the first night of our cross-country trip and was extremely satisfied with the hotel. Nice fitness center, very large room for a BW (even Plus). Location was convenient to restaurants and easy on/off to highway. Definitely would stay again, just wish this BW allowed pets.

We have stayed at this hotel for several years on our way to our spring camping trip in the Mojave Desert. We have always found it very good--four bubbles. It is always clean, and the facilities are good, not great but perfectly adequate for our one night stay on the way into the Mojave, and then on the way back. This time, though, things were a little off on our stay on the night of March 26. Minor things, such as the lower bed sheet kept coming untucked, the liners were just thrown into the trash cans without fitting them, the tissue supply was inadequate. Mainly, however, there was an overly strong artificial scent of air freshener, which I am sensitive to. I thought this wasn't too great an issue, but both my husband and I began sneezing on awakening in the morning and didn't stop until we left the hotel. This I attribute to allergic reactions to the air freshener. Did they spray it so heavily to cover up an odor such as cigarette smoke? It is a non-smoking hotel. This was the Easter weekend, so we were wondering if the somewhat less than good condition of the room could be attributed to lack of well-trained help. The other minor complaint I have about the accommodations, however, is ongoing. I paid for a suite and got this hotel's version of one, but I have stayed in better suites at other Best Western inns in California and Oregon for the same price. The suite we stayed at in Lancaster actually had a separate bedroom with a door to close it off from the living room/kitchen area--both areas had a TV! This for the same price as the Tehachapi suite that has a separate bedroom, but not a door to close it off, so it really is just a continuation of the living room/kitchen area. Only one TV. I know I might sound a little picky here, but the Tehachapi rooms are relatively expensive for what you get.

If you can't get to sleep because you can hear the TV either side of your room, or the conversations of other guests in their rooms, it doesn't really matter what else the hotel offers, it will not be a good stay.

I checked in on Wednesday afternoon around 3:30, put my stuff in the room, left until 10PM. The next morning, Thursday, I noticed the toilet was not flushing and called the front desk. They sent Housekeeping up, who came in with a plunger, said all good a minute later and left. I checked the toilet and it still did not flush. I was leaving for the day and stopped by the front desk (it was 9:30 AMish), who I told I would be out all day, and they could go in and fix it. The plumber was not on sight, I was told, but they would have him come by. I did not get back to my room until after 9PM. At 10:52PM, I noticed the toilet was not working, but they left me a plunger (REALLY?????). I went to the front desk, and she said oh are you in 219? Yeah, they need to pull the whole toilet and we would have to change your room. WHY wasn't a message left on my phone about this so I would know before I was undressed and ready for bed? No, I am not packing up at 11Pm. I want the manager to call me about this in the morning. I was not called. I stopped by the desk. The girl knew about the situation. The owner knew about it and had said to call the manager. He was called, but was TOO BUSY to help me because he was getting a furniture order right now. He told the front desk to get my number and he would call me. I left mine and my husband's numbers and we NEVER received a call. I am SO deeply disappointed and disgusted at the treatment I received from this facility.

Great stay for 1 night. A little expensive but very comfortable. Ask for rooms facing away from train track. Breakfast was average but for me no vegan options so I did not eat there. close to downtown which is cute and nice to walk around.

This Best Western was very clean and welcoming. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent view of the Tehachapis. The breakfast was expanded and got us on the road. The location is very convenient to restaurants, old town and stores, but you do need to drive.

This motel is conveniently located to downtown, restaurants and sight seeing. The rooms are clean and beautiful. Even though it is not far from the railroad tracks, it is very quiet. Staff is very helpful and it has an elevator.

Stayed here for three nights in March of 2016. VERY nice room. Has everything you need: refrigerator, microwave, plenty of room, great air conditioning. The breakfast in the mornings is fantastic. Not the same old muffin/cereal every day. The front desk girls were very sweet and helpful. Looking forward to going back some day.

This is by far the noisiest hotel I have stayed in. The walls must be very thin as I could hear my neighbors' toilets flush, showers run and heating/air conditioning units. The train is close to the hotel and came through town at least 6 times during the night. The breakfast was not up to the usual BW standards. The food selection and quality were both poor.

Downtown location with good parking. Breakfast the usual fare. Room spacious but odd layout. Towels not all the same quality ~ some threadbare, others thicker. Some stained. Bed was comfortable enough but pillows extremely small. Little noise from being right on the street and near the train tracks. Great Japanese restaurant within walking distance.

They charged me a day that I would have canceled. Did not tell me about the charge that they were going to bill. The reservation was wrong from the start. A reservation that I canceled or changed was there when I arrived. They could not tell me accurately how many room I was assigned to or had at the time of the check in. It has been 3 week and my issue has not been resolved. The manager has not contacted me back.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times in the past year and every stay has been enjoyable. The location is great, the facility is very comfortable and the staff are efficient and friendly. I have enjoyed every visit and intend to stay at this location the next time I am in Tehachapi. This is a very good hotel.

Drop in , appeared nice, did get to look at room before staying seemed clean & spacious , it wasn't until the next day we noticed the flaws. No bedding for pull out sofa called desk and they told me i had come get it, was only given 1 sheet and it had several huge areas of black grease stains. A throw out sheet for sure, stains on the cushions and horrible old comforters in closet for extra blankets if you needed it. Overall it was OK , but not as clean as it should be.

This hotel is listed as a Plus but I have my doubts. The building and room were spacious,lovely and clean. The checkout person barely acknowledged my presence at the desk. The buffet breakfast was definitely Not a Plus level! Reconstituted scrambled eggs, thin sliced lunch meat Ham, and breakfast sandwiches from another hotel! I've had better breakfasts at McDonalds. Next time I'll just go on into Bakersfield or Barstow.

This property is one of the cleanest most well maintained or new that I have stayed in. Not a scratch or hint of stain on anything. Super comfortable beds, great breakfast. A bit more money than some others in town...worth every penny

Best Western does a good job. This "Plus" Best Western did not disappoint. The room was big. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very nice. The floor of our initial room was sticky. Soda had been spilled and not thoroughly clean. They gave us a new room instantly so it was only a minor inconvenience. The desk clerks did what they were supposed to do. I can say much for the breakfast or the coffee but its the same at all similar hotels. We paid $115, which seems high for a hotel in Tehachapi in January. But it is a perfectly nice and adequate place to stay.

I was in town for the death of my father just a few days before Christmas and it was raining hard to add to the misery of the visit. I wasn't in much of a cheerful mood, but the front desk staff we're incredibly kind and thoughtful, making sure I had everything I needed to try and get through this difficult stay, I realized how lucky I was to have chosen this Best Western location. The room was comfortable, clean, warm and inviting, exactly what I needed. Thank you so much for your hospitality and kindness. Breakfast was wonderful.

Rooms are beautiful, staff is helpful and breakfast was good too When I told them my husband was on oxygen and could not walk very far, they made sure we were right next to the side door where we had parked our car !

The room was wonderful. Everything was very clean and in good condition. Really comfortable mattress. We were just there for a quick overnight stay on our way south but Tehachapi looks like a wonderful town and would be a great place to visit. One tiny criticism would be that, there was snow on the ground outside and when we entered out room, it was 50 degrees inside. It warmed up in a reasonable amount of time but we had a pretty cold half hour when we first got there. We will definitely stay here again.

Great motel in Tehachapi. Good staff and nice rooms. Easy check in and out. Bed was very comfortable. Room was pre-warmed as it was very cold outside. Room had a sitting area and a desk. Good restaurants in the area.

Had a good view of the trains across the street from hotel, breakfast is very good with a nice variety of items, and the front desk staff are very professional and yet friendly. I felt very welcomed by Sonia and she went out of her way to take a few pictures of my friend and I. I have been coming to this hotel once a month for several visits and all of my visits have been enjoyable. I have in the past and will continue to recommend this hotel to my friends and associates.

I have traveled for over 50 years, and have stayed in a variety of hotels. This is certainly among the nicest if not the nicest I have ever experienced. Carla, the friendly person at the registration desk, was top-notch. The hotel looks great, outside and in. My room seemed brand new, however, it is so well maintained that it appears new. No skid marks on the walls, no dings on the door frames. The room was immaculate. The bed comfortable and fresh. Good pillows. The "continental" breakfast is really a full breakfast. I can only complain about the waffle maker. Waffles would stick and couldn't be eaten. Every other aspect of this hotel was first class. Highly recommended. Obvious the ownership takes great pride in the hotel.

Nice hotel! My dad booked it for us for $23 less then the price advertised on hotels.com! I'm guessing it was because he's local to the area. We've stayed here a few times while visiting. It's a nice clean, quiet hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel before and it was so-so. This time I believe it has had an update and the help has changed. (for the better, I may add) Room was clean, spacious and noise free. We will not hesitate to stay here again.

Room was very good. Clean, well kept but the windows were so dirty on both sides you could hardly see out of them. Maintenance needs to be more aware of the little things that make a room really top notch. Beds were very good though. Shower was one of the best with plenty of water pressure.

EXCELLENT HOTEL with full complementary breakfast. Juices, yogurt, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, waffles, sweet rolls, etc. Nice pool with Jacuzzi & sauna in fitness room. Large semi-suite rooms that are very quiet. This hotel I would recommend highly to anyone..

This hotel is outstanding as a comfortable safe place to spend timel. We went to celebrate a great grandchild's birthday and our family all chose this hotel for the convenient location and reputation.

Great hotel as a stopping point before heading North. The hotel is located close to the center of town and all of the restaurants and gas stations. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were very nice and helpful. Thumbs ups all around. The breakfast was good and they even had a few breakfast sandwiches to nuke in the microwave. Will stay again if we are in this area.

The Country Park is our favorite place to stay. We will go out of our way to make sure our trip includes a stop in Tehachapi so we can stay at the Country Park. We have stayed here a least 10 times in the last couple of years. Its like "old home" week when we arrive.

I just completed my third visit to this hotel and once again had a very enjoyable time. The hotel is excellent and the staff are very nice and truly make me feel welcome and at home. I will continue to stay at this hotel every time I come to Tehachapi. It is like a second home.

Good size rooms and very clean. It is a pity everything in the room is in brown! Staff very helpful at check in etc. The buffet breakfast was very good with lots of choice. A good place for a stop over on our journey.

I was impressed with how nice this hotel was .... I usually don't expect that much from Best Western, but room was huge, clean, comfortable and well maintained. Breakfast was what you expect when it's free.....limited, and generally average to below average, but it will pass. I would stay here again, but prefer the hotel property next door. Staff is a bit nicer, professional, and attentive.

Excellent property, very clean, large rooms and a very nice breakfast. Th employees are courteous and quite helpful...especially Faith! Faith is the smiling face that you want to see when arriving at a Hotel!!

Excellent hotel. Everything is convenient, new, functional. We stayed one night, needing to rest after driving a long day. This is about a mile off the freeway. Delicious morning breakfast which also includes a waffle maker. The beds are very comfortable.

Good value for money. But room had couple of burnt out light bulbs and the in room telephone appeared to be inoperable. Breakfast had a good variety and was nicely presented. we have a service dog and they were open and kind to us and him.

A very clean, neat, and sanitary hotel. If you're tired of run-down chain hotels, where the management won't drop a penny on repair & maint, thus is you hotel. Rooms are well appointed, clean, neat and everything works. This is my second stay in a week and on both visits, there wasn't a thing to improve on. Very helpful and friendly staff. I did not try the breakfast. I get the idea of the breakfast in the hotel, but there is only so much you can do with frozen food and microwave ovens, so I spare myself of the refugee experience. WIFI results: download 1.31 Mbps / upload 1.47 Mbps...that could use some improvement, IMHO.

We luv staying here. The staff are always friendly. Since we have medical tests done in Bakersfield we stay here bcuz it's halfway home. This is a very nice property. Very well maintained. Nice weather.
