Best Western Tallahassee-Downtown Inn & Suites

Great place to stay with the kids. Breakfast was good, lots of choices. Room was clean and roomy enough for the kids to have some room to roam and not be so cooped up. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Room was small & very Spartan. Breakfast was below average. Coffee dispenser was almost empty & coffee was cold. Almost no milk in the pitcher for coffee, but it's didn't matter because Coffee was too cold to drink. We stopped along the way for coffee. Entrance road to motel was dark, steep & rough. Recommend a lit walkway be added by that road so customers could more easily walk to restaurants in the area.

we needed to stay in Tallahassee as our flight got cancelled and decided on this place as the rate was reasonable .the location was very nice with a lot of places to dine . our room was nice and the staff was very accommodating

My family and I visited Tallahassee to tour FSU as my daughter is interested in attending school here. This hotel was just minutes away from campus near the state capital. We had a wonderful stay, from the ease of check in to the clean and spacious rooms we were very appreciative of the great customer service and restful night stay. We will be back!

There are smoking rooms, which is weird. Who has smoking rooms still in 2024? I requested a non-smoking room, but there weren't any. When I checked in, no information was given to me other than my room number and a point at where to go. She was too busy with her phone call that was on speaker about wigs and hair extensions. The room, of course, smelled; there were stains all over the couch. The toilet wobbled and made the loudest noise every time I sat on it. The shower had two settings: cold and skin melting hot. The walls and ceilings throughout the room had holes that had been patched and repatched. The floor hadn't been cleaned, probably never, since my feet came away black after walking across it after my shower. I was never told there was a breakfast and basically missed it. There was no regular coffee, and nothing looked very appetizing. When I checked out, no one asked me how my stay was. I was very distracted, and they tried their best to get me out of there ASAP. Also weird that my receipt came from a sketch Gmail address that went directly to my junk folder.

This hotel is located in the heart of Tallahassee making everything accessible. It's clean as the rooms are kept up to date, and the breakfast in the morning is better than most fancier hotels I've been to. Would def recommend if you're passing through Tallahassee or even staying here for a weekend.

this was an unplanted stay in tallahassee and we just walked in to see if they had rooms. The person at the desk was very nice and went out of his way to show us the rooms. This was a very plus point for us The room was nice and clean

This location is a win- Great breakfast, awesome staff, clean rooms, cozy beds, and phenomenal coffee with an expresso machine available to guests 24/7. I'd be delighted to stay here again. The manager, Chris, runs a tight ship, and Makayla and Romecia are fantastic hosts.

So we had to evacuate due to the impeding hurricane and this was one of the few hotel that had rooms available . The room was fine but the entire stay was comfortable. The managers were very understanding about our situation and we will stay here in the future

So we had a few issues with out house and needed a place to stay and found this place at a reasonable price and i must say is was very nice . The room ( 120 ) was clean with a nice sitting are with a sofa. it was clean

Upon arrival, we were met with a very nice receptionist who was pleasant and helpful. When we arrived in our rooms, we found all of the 3 rooms had an unpleasant smell. Although faint, it was concerning.The fabric around the bedskirt looked like it had never been removed or cleaned, The rug and the fabric on the chair looked the same. One of our rooms had a bathroom that hadn't been cleaned.The lighting in the room was very poor in an effort, it appeared, to hide the condition of the room. One room had no remote but the manager on duty quickly located one for us.

I stayed here for 1 night. My hotel room didn't have carpet. It had laminate flooring but the smell of animal urine was really strong. The room wasn't clean. The bedding smelled. The toilet was broke and the fixtures in the bathroom felt like they were going to fall off. I wouldn't stay here again. They need to completely renovate this place

This was an enjoyable stay with all the right reasons from the room to the staff to the breakfast to the location to the cleanliness of the place. We also tried the local eating places nearby and it was great

The hotel lobby was beautiful. The front desk person was very friendly and welcoming. Asked him did he know they had a 2 star rating, he was unaware. It was when we got to our room that we realized why they had such a rating. The room furniture was old and lumpy. Bed and pull out. The reason I didn't call the front desk is because we spent all day at the hospital and by the time we got to our room we were exhausted.

I requested 1st floor room with 2 beds, got what we asked for. Room was clean, parking was easy in front of the door. Hotel was quiet from outside noises. We'd definitely stay here again. Wifi worked well.

What a dump this place is! Run don't walk away! It is old, decrepit, filthy, smelly and way overpriced. Had a one night stay there, first room was absolutely unacceptable, second room was marginally better, so we stayed figuring we're actually only going to be in there a few hours to sleep. Lot's of filth and splooge on table tops, counters and bathroom from previous folks. But that smell, HORRENDOUS! Got into the room around 11pm, tried to sleep but this urine smell kept creeping up from somewhere. Tossed and turned until around 2am, finally fell asleep until 5am. Jumped up, quickly dressed as we couldn't wait to get home and wash our clothes and ourselves! My mistake was not reading these reviews like I always do. I've had so many good experiences at Best Westerns, I simply made this reservation based on past good experiences. I won't make that mistake again! These bad reviews you're reading are real and valid! Best Western should be ashamed being associated with a joint like this. I'll be making a case with corporate for a 100% refund!

Im not a fan of hotels that have smoking rooms. And did not notice this when I booked. But when I called a few weeks ago the person i spoke with brought it to my attention, which I was very thankful because we would want a non-smoking room. Lady that check is in and out was very pleasant. Food looked good, we didn't eat there. But our room still smell of smoke even though we were in non-smoking room in our And the bathroom shower needed a good scrubbing, as there was mold some of the tiles on the wall. It's not a terrible place to stay for a night but not more. And with hotel prices in Tally at $500 per night during football games this was fairly reasonable.

The 1st room on 2nd floor(217) was so gross. Pulled the covers back on the bed and the sheets had not been washed and still had the last guests body hair and lint. The toilet seat was broken and I don't think the carpet has been cleaned this year. The 2nd room (213) had clean but stained sheets. The carpet had some sort of spillage or something. Sink and tub were dirty and I had to clean before I showered in my shoes!!! Mike....your hotel/motel needs help and I don't think past reviews have helped as training tools. Best Western I really expected more.

Not only was this motel mediocre at best, the PRICE GOUGING was totally, practically criminally, unacceptable. A three-night stay was booked through the hotel reservation system. We were NOT told that the third night price would be TRIPLE the regular room rate of $111/night. The third night was charged at $327. Why? Because of a college football game that we didn't know about and didn't come for. This room was barely worth the regular room rate of $111. The heater/AC couldn't be adjusted because the dials would just spin and not do anything. The front desk was informed and, even though maintenance came, the issue was NOT fixed. The malfunctioning dials would not turn off the unit without much messing around with the dials. The room was either blazing hot, or cold if the unit did manage to get turned off. As far as the breakfast buffet, it was OK with the exception of what was supposed to pass for orange juice. It was mostly orange colored water with almost no actual orange juice and this occurred every day we were there. As a high-level contributor to Trip Advisor, (Rainbow Nana), I don't hand out negative reviews very often, but this motel needs a lot of improvement to justify the cost, and NOTHING, not even a luxury suite hotel deserves a triple price increase because of a football game. This matter will be reported to and discussed with Customer Service at Best Western. As for having my business in the future? Forget about it. I do not deal well with price gouging, especially in what I consider to be a subpar establishment.

On a bikers trip and tallahassee happen to be on the midway point Saw this place on the internet and decided to give it a try since we could park our harley under the canopy outside the main office. The place was clean and the room was nice. We did try the morning breakfast an it did not disappoint.

The Room was dirty and smelled. The sink was clogged and bathroom hadn't been cleaned. No amenities were replenished in room for the second night of stay. The only positive point was the friendly staff.

We were back again in Tallahassee to meet up with friends. Stayed here as our last stay here was awesome. Glad we did that as this stay was super great too. Would highly recommend this BW. Read the recent reviews on Google and Yelp and really consider them before booking. Not a lot of hotels in this area and we were there for an event. Would never stay here again. Untenable! The service was the worst part and how much we had to pay for that one night.

On a business trip organized by our pr department and we had a very good stay. This place is a frills place with all the basic needs and very friendly managers. The hotel was packed with hurricane evacuees but the rate was remained unchanged i guess its a state law

Where shall I start? The room reeked of marijuana and cigarette smoke! Food was left in the drawer in the nightstand. Sheets were stained and dirty. We had to buy sheets and pillows. The floor was so sticky. Lights didn't work well either. Broken lens above the sink. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Had my flight cancelled and they gave us vouchers to stay here. The place was very nice and we had zero complaints with our stay. The room was big and nicely furnished with very nice and wholesome breakfast

Having traveled extensively and stayed in thousands of Hotels in my 80+ years: I have never stayed in such a horrible place! The room we were first given had a mix of odors, one smelling like wet dog, others had scents that were likely used to try to cover up the unpleasant odors. There was visible mold on the furniture and inside drawers. We were given another room; and it was only tolerable. Cleanliness wasn't up to my standards; but there was no mold.....only cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and a dirty coffee maker. Certainly no Covid protocol! The only positive thing I can say is that the assistant manager, Gloria was excellent!

Was sent to this location by american airways after my flight was cancelled and at first i had my reservations but i was very happy with my stay .The room was clean and the place was well taken care of .

Even though this place is not anew properly, it's well kept and the service was beyond reproach. We found the quiet country setting very appealing and the overall stay was very satisfying. It's not the Rirz but the rates were great

We spent one night at this property. The stay was extremely comfortable with large clean rooms and special attention paid to people with disabilities in the bathroom. The breakfast was good too. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room 104, was TERRIBLE! Opened the door to and was overtaken by a Moldy, Pungent Odor!! Left the room door open and turned the heat/cool fan on...NO HELP!! Went to the front desk, but she was SWAMPED due to the internet down(storm in the area). Didn't want to add anymore stress to here with 6+ people waiting to check in.

We traveled as a group of bikers and stayed in tallahassee . The price was very good and they allowed us to park our bikes under the canopy by the front office ( other places refused ) The room was clean and our entire group was happy

This place is the definition of "fine." It's old. It's ugly. It's not comfortable. My interactions with the staff were about average. They provide the basics needed to spend a night and that's about it. The bed I had was uncomfortable and the mattress was stained, but the sheets were clean.

We traveled to Tallahassee on a family event and stayed here on the recommendation of a family friend. we enjoyed our entire stay and have no hesitation on returning back. The place is well maintained

My husband and I stopped for a night's rest before returning home. In the first room, the heater/ac did not work and we saw a roach. They put us in another room. The heater/ac worked, but it had roaches as well. At least 2 of the pillows on the bed was dirty. There was hair in the sink and the sofa was covered in dog hair. Will not stay here again.

Was in town to see my son. The toilet handle didn't work, a piece had broken off inside the tank. Repaired within the hour. I was surprised that the utensils for breakfast were loose in their containers. Overall clean and great bang for the buck.

Be aware of roaches in your room, sour milk for breakfast & a dog in the dining area. This hotel even had a hand written note on the key card sleeve requesting that key card be returned to the office! I'd recommend another probably when staying in the Tallahassee area.

Horrible place. See the photo's posted with this review. Do NOT STAY IN THIS PLACE! Not a Hotel it is a low end Motel. I booked by error and stayed because I was too exhausted from driving. Best Western should be ashamed to have their name on this place.

This hotel needs a lot of updating and cleaning. Room was musty and smelled like skunk and cigarettes. Rusted handrails and cobwebs everywhere. Asked for two additional bath towels and was told the hotel didn't have extra. This place needs a lot of TLC.

Team staff never responded to my requests, cockroaches around breakfast food. Remote tv was not working I did request a replacement but they never showed up and after first request nobody responded at from desk to my calls. I had to walk to front desk to resolve this situation. Smelling of room was not as expected.

Just off the beaten track within walking distance to the mall and Khols next door the entire stay was good and the staff is very friendly The size of the roon was big. The check in and check out was fast

So I do travel quite a bit for company work and they reserved me this hotel even though I am on a per diem. The place was nice and extremely quiet. The room was bigger then most places I have stayed at and it was clean. The overall stay was good

we stay in woodville and traveled to tallahassee to see the fireworks at tom brown park and stayed here as we have many times before. The stay was good and the rates were also affordable. The hot breakfast was an added bonus

We booked one night as a stop over from point A to point B. The hotel had good reviews and we have always had good experiences with Best Western. We were disappointed. We arrived late and we to bed almost straight away. The beds were uncomfortable and my husband described the pillows as “postage stamps”. Accurate. They were couch throw size, not full sleep size. In the morning I realized how dirty the room was. The grout on the bathroom floor was black and filthy. The walls and doors looked like they had not been wiped down ever. There were cobwebs in the corners and hanging from the ceiling and there were stains in the carpet. We also had an uninvited guests in the form of a roaches. Had I checked before falling asleep we would not have stayed.

First vacation in almost two years due to Covid. So far, our hotel experience has been less than great. It seems the more you pay for a roo., the less you get in cleanliness. In my case the lobby was fabulous, really gets your hopes up, then we got to room 105, the decor is dated, the carpet needed a vacuum and the sofa had caked on sweaty dirt on the arms. I also had to use a rag to get the hair out of the tub. The shower was great. Wifi worked well. Parking was tight for my jetta.

My family stays at this Best Western whenever we need to escape. The staff always make sure you are comfortable and satisfied. For example, when Crystal the "breakfast lady" discovered I couldn't eat the eggs because it had ham cooked in it, she made me a batch of ham-less eggs. Stay with them when you get a chance.

My stay at best Western has been above extraordinary. As far as hospitality & making you feel comfortable the Best Western on Apalachee Pkwy in Tallahassee is the best if the best! None in the city can compete!

I'm still in town staying at the best western on apalachee. I'm here for work and I love the service. Hema in the front is extremely nice and makes everyone feel welcomed once they enter the front office. I extended my stay a few times and I am extremely happy with my stay. Housekeeping was amazing as well.

Location was very important and as was the rate. The lobby and grounds were impeccable. The desk person was pleasant and did recommend some great dinning options. Room was nice and had all the needed ammenities. Die to vivid they had breakfast t o go bags with nice selection and a hot sausage and egg biscuit.

My wife and I have visited Tallahassee several times over the past 4 years since my daughter has been a student at FSU. This hotel, the staff and the management have been nothing short of accommodating and welcoming to us and our needs during every stay. Without a doubt the best value in town. Some of the negative reviews left for this hotel are dumbfounding given the wonderful experience we have had as frequent guests of Best Westerns. As our daughter graduated this past weekend from FSU, we hope to be back to Tallahassee soon and you can guarantee we will be staying here!

First time staying at this hotel - Our stay here was excellent. We had already booked here and did not have time to make any changes to our reservation. I am glad that we did not change it. Our stay was awesome, Hema (manager on duty) was extremely nice and helpful. She went way out of her way to help us. (I had a broken arm). Our room was clean and sanitized just before we got in. The beds were quite comfortable. This is definitely going to be my place to stay when I visit Tallahassee the next time.

The staff was nice and accommodating. When we first arrived I had a problem with the room we were in but they moved is to another room with no problems at all and they were very nice about doing it. We ended up staying two extra nights and had no problems.

The room was average for the price and star rating. The room definitely didn't live up to the modern decor of the lobby. My main problem were all the dust stalactites hanging from the ceiling over the bed. They jiggled in the breeze from the AC and I fell asleep just knowing I would be ingesting one or more as I slept.

I would sleep in my car before ever staying at this Best Western again. I sent pictures of roaches I found in my bed when I woke up the next day and never got a response from corporate. I felt unsafe at this property and the outside garbage were overflowing. The guy in the room next to us coughed all night. The lobby was clean.

Room stunk. All types of “activities” going on in parking lot. Cars pulling up for 2 minutes and leaving. Very sketch. Paid for room but didn't stay. Outdoor entries only. Very low class place. Basically a Motel 6, except Motel 6 is better.

The location was great. The area looked secured. Within distance of all the malls and shopping areas It was very quiet. I really enjoyed and got plenty of relaxation. I was in great distance of all the places that I was interested in visiting.

It was just an awful experience. I literally got woken up in the middle of the night because someone called the cops. I was not surprised that they were called but it was not me. There was a lot of noise going on in the next room preventing me the opportunity to sleep. I will not ever stay here again.

Dirty rooms, unprofessional staff, unreasonable management, unhelpful staff. Do not stay here. I complained about cigarette burns in the sheets, which is unacceptable anywhere and stains on the couch. Traveling with my pregnant wife on the pandemic, this was a problem as it was unclean. Moved me to another room which had the same problem. “K” Moved me to another room which also had cigarette burns and what appeared to be a booger on the brown blanket. I went back and was told she can't keep moving me to a different room. I asked her to call her manager, Hema, and was told that I can talk to Hema in the morning at 8 when she gets in—what kind of a manager is not available when a guest has a problem. I returned my keys to K and walked out. Next day I noticed this location charged my credit card and said I checked out the next day—unbelievable. Now I know the “manager” is going to respond here saying she hopes my stay will be better next time—after I gave every opportunity while I was there and they let me walk out, why couldn't they do anything at that time? At this point, the only response from the manager is not an apology but to I want is that they have at least refunded the charges to my credit card and I want this credited back to my card because I will never come back here—I think that is fair—I didn't stay in the room because they were dirty and got billed for it. If you see them respond with anything else, you'll see the level of incompetence I'm talking about. I have stayed at other best westerns and never had such a terrible experience that they just let me walk out on the complaint of a dirty room, specifically sheets with burned holes in them. This property needs to be immediately dropped from the BestWestern brand.

The people here at best western downtown are very friendly and willing to work with you on anything. This motel is the best one that i have ever stayed at and i do not stay at any other motel. You will love your stay at best western downtown.

Had to wait a good 10 to 15 minutes to be checked in & only person in lobby. Booked non smoking room & room had a strong smoking odor. Brought to staff attention after another long wait & they could not offer replacement room. Cold coffee in the morning during peak breakfast hours. Also overheard another guest asking for towels & they were out. I've had had pretty good experiences with Best Westerns but this was not one of them.

Great place to stay for pot smokers! No security, poor lighting – so you can smoke a LOT and in the parking lot right outside people's doors – and the management staff won't understand that some people find this objectionable (they will try to relocate people who complain to the other side of the building). They also don't understand that complaining about law breakers might make one subject to retaliation and your vehicle will be parked right in front of your door. Win-win-win! On a different note, smallest bed pillows I ever have seen.

I've never written a review before, so this is a breakthrough. If you're looking for a place to stay that has fresh vomit and dirty socks on the floor, this is your spot. Lazy, uncaring staff to boot.

Beds are not comfortable, and did have some bug problems (not in the bed). The place looks nice from the outside but the inside is very small and no table and chairs to eat at. Air was not on when we came into the room so we turned it on and left for awhile, it is FL (HOT)

The reception staff appeared not to be very enthusiastic about guest arrivals. I was assigned a room in front on the ground floor, even though I had requested an upstairs room in the back (quiet) when I made the reservation weeks ago. The room was changed though and I was pleased staying in a large suite-style room with contemporary design. A king bed, sofa and coffee table, desk and chair, dresser, large fridge with freezer shelf and microwave oven. The bath was large, nice, clean and modern. The large TV had a good picture and I enjoyed a quiet night. There was no breakfast offered, not even coffee to go, even though the Best Western website refers to "GrabNGo" or packaged breakfast items during this virus time.

Place isn't bad, but it is a little tired. Good for a single night. Room was clean. Because of what's going on in the world we weren't able to have the buffet, most hotels have gone to the grab bags of muffins, apples and water bottle. Area is quiet and fairly central.

It seems like many of the Best Western Plus are very nice motels. This one served us well. The beds were very comfortable the bathroom very clean, and the breakfast had a large variety to choose from. Those are the important things to us when we travel. Will come back here again!

Had to stay here after our original hotel had no water. I was happily surprised with the room and service. The receptionist was super friendly checking in and out. Their breakfast was hot and delicious.

The Best Western was a nice, clean large room with excellent shower and separate tub option. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Our breakfast options were wonderful with hot and cold foods to satisfy anyone as well as coffee, juice and milk. Great place to stay.

Things happen. Good business practices demand that when one thing goes wrong, it is quickly addressed before mistakes multiply and one error is not allowed to escalate into a series of disasters. If only the staff at this Best Western understood that simple concept this VERY unfavorable review would not be necessary. This booking involved multiple rooms and escalated into multiple errors that could easily have been avoided. It started with a “rocky toilet” that didn't flush properly. That turned into a wet floor problem. To be fair, maintenance came promptly to fix it. When that seemed impossible our room was changed. And that's when the dominoes began to fall. We were promised help in the move IF we called before 5 pm. We did. Starting at 4:15. He was gone. We had to do it alone. Meanwhile a member in our party had a problem in her room. BUT her phone didn't work at all. She had to go to the office in person. Our room had leaked to the room below, occupied by another in our group. Her room was changed also. Both of us were given keys to the same changed room! When we tried to resolve it, we were given her former room ! And it wreaked of chlorine! Suffering from a severe headache made it very undesirable to stay there but that or relocating yet again to another more distant location or paying a higher price for an upgrade were our only options, we were told. When calling the manager was requested, we were informed that wasn't possible until the next day! When asked what would you do in an emergency, we were told she would call 911 if it was something the desk clerk couldn't handle! This combination of errors was compounded at every interval. Each time a resolution was suggested, it was rejected. This is no way to address customer relations! I told the hotel there would be scathing reviews but apparently it made no difference.

Hotel is located near a mall, Publix and every chain restaurant you could ask for. Was a little worried about safety when we pulled in. There were homeless people wandering around. Room was clean and well appointed. Parking and Wifi were free. There is a pet fee, but nominal.

The overall stay was good and well within our limited budget.The room 12o was huuuuggge , clean and spacious with all the amenities one would need . The hot water was plenty and with great pressure. The property was clean and it look like they did some renovations .

This hotel is ideally located along the Appalachia corridor with access to a nice mall and every chain eatery one might want. Like most hotels in the area, this one hiked up room prices during the college graduation season (FAMU/Florida State). The price per night at over $200 was highway robbery for a three star hotel even though the rooms were well kept with desirable amenities and breakfast included. There needs to be work done on the stairway flooring because they are filthy.

Needed a place to stay on a short notice and a family member told us about this place an we were not disappointed at all. The staff at this property is truly exceptional and went over and beyond in assisting us with directions etc etc. Clean room with plenty of amenities and overall a good stay we will stay here again

We stayed here over the graduation weekend of our youngest and as, before if was a nice stay. Even though the rates were higher yet comparing with the other places nearby this place was affordable. As usual nice clean room and the lobby looks newly renovated a super job. The breakfast was well stocked at all times inspire of the crowd

Stayed one night and asked for non-smoking room. Left next morning smelling like smoke. Old hotel. A/C not working properly. Vent was loud. Will not return and will not recommend. Not worth my money and bad representation for Best Western.

Being in the close proximity of everything is what compeled us to select this location. We found the p[lace was very addiquette for the price and the friendly staff made the big differance. the room was clean with lots of room . Check in and check out was fast we did enjoy the breakfast also.

our team stayd here on friday night and the staff went over and beyond in making sure we had a great stay . The y even allowed us to us the breakfast room for the evening dinner. the hotel is very nice and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was way more then what we expected and we will be staying here on all our future stays.

I stayed 1 night in this hotel while on work travel. I found the room to be extremely clean, bed comfortable and everything in working order. The staff were over-the-top helpful and pleasant and made me feel like each one truly valued their customers, which is unusual these days. The only reason I did not rate a 5, was because of the humidity in my room which was a bit uncomfortable. Clothes I left out on the bed were slightly damp the next morning. They are having maintenance check the room. Also the breakfast was fantastic! Will stay here again but try a different room.

The hotel lobby has been redone and looks very nice. The front desk staff was very nice and friendly. The breakfast in the morning was good, would like some more fruit options. The rooms were clean but really needs updating. Overall the stay was good.

We can here to visit our grandson and his family and since they have a small place we decided to stay at this place . The room was big and had a very nice tv . We had a really good stay here and will stay here again as its close to where we needed to be . the breakfast lady was on the ball with keeping the food loaded

We booked a king suite for our first parents weekend at FSU. We chose this hotel because they accept large dogs with no problem, we brought our German Shepherd. Room was large, clean,quiet, offered breakfast, and was close to the campus. Room came with a microwave refrigerator, and A/C was great! All hotels during this weekend appear to increase their rates by 2 to 3x, so there was no way around that, which is my reason for a poor rating in value. We were very happy with our choice and would stay here again, but not at the inflated price.

I have stayed here a few times while in Tallahassee on business. Good hotel, reasonably priced and conveniently located to downtown, shopping and restaurants. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable, ask for the quiet side. Breakfast is adequate, though nothing special but many other options nearby. It is a good value for the price and I will stay here again.

This is definite a place to stay when you need to get work done. It was in a quiet location of the city. It was a safe location. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was all very nice, friendly, and professional.

I was in town on business; a two night stay. My check in was fine. The gentleman that checked in me was polite and professional. I was in room 120. The bed was comfortable, and the AC worked wonderfully. The pillows were comfy, as well. The room was generally fine, but there were two things I found amiss: First, there was a child's "sippy cup" behind the room door, but I suppose it's possible that the housekeeper wouldn't have seen it if he left the door open as she cleaned. I left it there. The second thing was that the plug in the sink would not operate, and kept the sink plugged. It took forever for the sink to drain as it slowly seeped past the plug. The free breakfast was pretty good as far as free breakfasts go. The biscuits and gravy were great! One thing that really annoyed me. I had the "DO NOT DISTURB" sign on my door, as I was in bed resting before going to my appointment. For whatever reason, the housekeeper apparently believed that I put that sign on my door as an invitation to knock on the door and wake me up. Seriously, what does "DO NOT DISTURB" mean? This hotel was booked for me; I usually stay at another hotel in town. I'll be sure to stay there in the future...

This was one of the best, Best Western's I've had the chance to stay at! Our room was impeccable! The crew was very kind and supportive of our needs! Pool was very clean and the breakfast was amazing! Highly recommend!!

This hotel is no frills but its very well located and in very good shape in the center of tallahassee. We like it because we could park our bikes outside our rooms and felt very secure. The room was clean and then overall stay was good. We did try the breakfast and it was good with a variety of choices.

Quiet and relaxing location. Big rooms and very comfortable beds...... one thing spoiled it ! Took issue however when we found out the credit card had been charged twice. Apparently a holding bond returned when you depart... no need for this as they have credit details and could charge if damage if needed. This caused issues as I had been traveling using card for weeks and just about used up credit, withholding a second amount reduced my credit limit. Funds then not released till a week later "why".

We have stayed here multiple times, most recently August 2019. Close proximity to restaurants & to Florida State. Breakfast is included. Our room was clean, bed & pillows were comfortable, WiFi was good. This is not a fancy motel, just a clean, basic option for travelers. We also like that they are pet friendly , though I would prefer no carpeting in pet friendly rooms. We will stay here again.

Business Travel need affordable place with good quality and morning breakfast that save me time and stop from the Hotel to may Training place. BW meet the qualities for the short stay with comfortable facilities that allow me a pleasure rest at night in a silent atmosphere while enjoyed the spacious room amenities of cable TV, Wi-fi, cool air and comfortable bed.

While traveling from orlando to pensacola we hade car trouble and had to tow our car to the toyota dealership. The service rep recommended us to this place and had their suttle drop us off . The front desk lady was very sympathetic to our dire situation and gave us a really good rate and offered us a late check out without us even asking for it ! The stay was very good and the breakfast was very good as well. The room that was given to us was HUGE with a really nice TV. Thank you Best Western !

We travel quite a bit since we are retired and we always good for bargains as we are on a budget. This place was perfect for all our need fron clean rooms to a really nice breakfast. The staff was ready with a smile at all time and kept asking us we needed anything . This type of care is so very rare now a days.

My credit card was compromised soon after I checked out of this hotel. Management denied any responsibility without even conducting an investigation. Property is dated, but clean. The free breakfast buffet was acceptable.

I was very disatisfied with the cleanliness of the room. It smelled terrible. We were greeted by a roach looking bug crawling on carpet. The A/C blew dust. The bathtub had black mold. Not in walking distance to downtown.

We were there 3days for a softball tourney and not once did we get fresh towels or had the trash picked up. The girls used their towels for 2 days the on the third day I went to the office to get fresh ones. Internet was non existent in our room, I went to the lady at the front desk and she got it up and running but I did my business there in the lobby for fear of not having it ifI went back to my room. That night no internet service in the room. We stayed Thurs.-Sun and not once did our trash get picked up. Very disappointed, I've stayed at Best Western many times and always had a good experience but this time not so much.

My wife and I were charged for room stays after we had notified the hotel that our plans had to be changed due to a family emergency. We would have simply changed our reservation to a later date had we the cooperation of the hotel management.

Stayed here on points due to an issue with my house, and from the beginning to the end Mrs.Marie and her husband are outstanding! This hotel is owned by the couple and you can tell they take pride in their property! The only thing I'd recommend upgrading in the future is the breakfast! The sausage and microwavable eggs has to GO! Other then that, Please dont change a thing! Everything was AMAZING!! (Minus the breakfast)

I vas really impressed how clean was the hotel from the manager to the lady in charge to clean my room always have a smile to us, I left my room door ope and mosquitoes got inside I asked the manager if he has any kind of spray to kill the mosquitoes and he offered me another room (there were room available) they made us feel very special

We came for a tour at FSU and decided to stay here since I'm a member of the loyalty program. First thing I didn't like the fact that the front desk person wrote my credit card number in the reservation papers which it was pre-paid already, supposedly for incase something gets damage, I told her about it and she said it was by management. SECOND THING..a disgusting chair! I made reservations for 3 and there was not sheets for the sofa bed,no extra towels,and a bug in the bathroom floor. I had to go and ask for sheets, and also asked for extra pillow which they lady at front desk said she couldn't give me a extra pillow..that the king size bed had 4 pillows...very small pillows. I have stayed in many others Best Western and I have never had any problems until today. VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PLACE!

Overall ambiance of the hotel is wonderful from the lobby to the rooms, you will not be disappointed with your stay.. I can not say enough about how I'm treated from the first day I arrive to the day I depart.. Great Job Best Western: There is no doubt I will be returning!!!

Typically most stays at hotels are average. Specially when one travels a lot. Had to mention this hotel as they deserve my thanks. Everyone was wonderful and treated me with respect. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything worked and had no issues. Internet access was quick, fast and reliable. Very crucial for my work. At check out did not realize I had left my wallet in the room. I called the hotel about an hour later and to my surprise they had it and had already left me a message at my office that they had it. Even better since I was at a meeting about 15 mins away the Manager came and delivered the wallet making my stay and day stressless. I thank the Best Western and the staff and will surely visit you again.

We stayed here for our sons graduation and even though the price was high but still was better then then nearby hotels. The front desk went over and beyond to give us a room near our family members and the room was clean The breakfast was plentiful and well attended at all times We don't mind staying here again

I'll try to be kind with this review however walking into our room and having a long silver bug on the wall did not leave a good first impression. In addition to that having dust hanging from the ceiling and a cobweb on a light fixture didn't add to my expectation of having paid over $300 per night for this room. Would not stay here again. The breakfast was good, the shower was good but honestly, that's about it.

Quite /clean/comfortable/affordable. Newer rooms and larger size than normal. The only draw back is the location, small entrance at the bottom of a hill. You could barely see it from the road, tricky in and out to the main road. Other than that I would recommend it to all.

Do not confuse this place with a hotel. It is a cheap motel with your room doors exposed to the outside. Charged us over $125 but we've stayed at hotels all over the country and many international and this place is not worth more than about $75/night. Even at 75, we would never stay here again; the kind of place where you're afraid to take your socks off all night.... stay away.

This was an older place but very well kept and recent upgrades are evident. The check and the check out was painless. We did have the breakfast and it was better then we expected with hot items and a huge variety af other things The land scaping was great

I am a state employee and when booking the room, explained that I would need tax exemption. I was told at that time to bring the tax exempt form and an adjustment would be made when I checked in. NOT! I was told there was nothing I could do because I booked through hotel.com. I didn't even realize it was Booking.com. I thought I called the hotel directly. I was told to call hotel.com, which I did, and they were just as unhelpful, saying that I had to work through the hotel. (I am not the only one who had this problem during this trip. This person has been given the same run-around!) In addition, once I got to the room on the second floor, there were cobwebs above the door and window. I was in a hurry to a dinner and tried calling the front desk to complain but there was no answer. I decided to just pretend I was camping for $159 a night! This will be my last time staying at the Best Western on Apalachee Pkwy - as well as the last time I use Booking.com.

Stayed here for a college visit to FSU and it served its purpose. The room was fairly large and the bed's were fairly comfortable. The room was mostly clean. The bottom of the tub needed to be resurfaced or cleaned more thoroughly. The toilet screamed when you flushed it. It was SUPER loud. The included breakfast was quite a large spread and was good. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient on check-in and check-out and the housekeeping staff was very friendly. Doors to the rooms open to the outside, which is not my favorite. It is only 10 minutes from FSU and FAMU, so a good place to stay for a college visit.

The cost was extremely high and front desk clerk was anything but helpful. The rooms were clean but the carpets were stained. The price did not match the standard I would associate a BW in that area and the front desk did not budge on the price.

Hotel room was not remodeled like the lobby was. There was no hot water, and with 5 people taking showers, this was frustrating.Breakfast was just okay. The coffee was lukewarm. They were just about out of food, and we had to wait for it to be refilled.

I have stayed here several times to pick up my Grandson from FSU. The same girl has been there each time, and she is so friendly. I don't know here name. The breakfast is very nice, but I wish it would go to 10:00a.m. It ends at 9 a.m., alittle too early. That is my only complaint. The beds are amazing. There is a microwave and a refrigerator. It's very clean, and the rooms smell clean. Close to many restaurants. Again thanks to the very nice check in girl. My family has booked rooms for August for my Grandsons graduation.

I chose this hotel just to be in a different place. I usually stay closer to the Interstate but I wanted to change it up. The hotel is old style with the entry door being on the outside and very accessible. The grounds are simple and clean and it is extremely quiet given the close proximity to the main road and the big Kohl's store next door. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean and the lobby /reception area is spacious and bright. The breakfast area is also quite large and very clean. There is ample shopping close by and a very nice place to eat within a three minute walk. I recommend that you try BJ's restaurant if you do stay here. It was recommended by the clerk on duty when I checked in and I was not disappointed at all.

I stay at this hotel/motel each and every time I'm in Tallahassee for medical appointments, and that should say bundles. They are always friendly when booking, accommodating, checking in/out & anything I might need, as well as being clean/up to date/quiet/bug free. I feel safe, the breakfast is bountiful & good, it's close to everything, yet set back off the mail road. Each time I have returned they are taking care to maintain and update their establishment. The difference in this hotel and others is their hands on approach and the way they treat guests & staff, it make a lot of difference.

I booked this place online for 3 adults and a child. When i check in she asked how many and I told her and was given a room with one bed and a pull out couch- When i called front desk i was basically told oh well and that the reservation showed 2 adults- so i asked why she asked me at check in how many if ahe already knew. I told her I did not put 2 adults. I specially put 3 adults ana child. She argued with me and told me good luck canceling bc it was to late! Then we had no bed stuff for the couch bed and i called again and was told I had to come down to get it- why would I not have been given that at check in?!? Then we went to get the sheets and were told they were out of pillows!! Went to bathe mu daughter and drain doesn't work- i call again and she says maintenance is off the grounds and she would send him once he got back- it was already 11:00 so I told her to forget it!! This was the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel! We stay in Tallahassee every weekend this time of year and will not be back!!

Driving to the hotel found us steering down a narrow road, kind of like a ravine. The 2-story bldg. had a very nice main lobby, friendly check in, and the b'fast area was also very nice and remodeled with a good variety for b'fast. That's the "some good". Now for the "not to good". There were no luggage carts & no elevator to the 2nd floor. Very difficult for these old folks to drag our bags up the stairs. The room was clean, but it could have passed for any Travel Lodge or Motel6. No documents in the room to identify hotel policy; TV channel list, pad, pen; nothing to identify this as a Best Western. We will not stay here again.

The outside is a little pink/peach... not esthetically pleasing. The lobby and hotel rooms are nicely redone on the inside and clean. They need help in their attention to detail (we had 3 different styles of towels in our room). The front counter staff needs Customer Service lessons from answering the phones to just saying hello when someone walks into their lobby... dealt with 3 separate people and all came across the same... they were doing you a favor and you (the customer) were interrupting them. The positive were the ladies that tended to the continental breakfast, they were very nice and helpful.

My wife and I were in Tallahassee for business and decided to stay at this hotel as we did during our previous trip to Tallahassee a few years back. This hotel is not even close to the same hotel we recalled staying in almost two years ago. From the exterior, room interiors, lobby, etc everything has been renovated and looks amazing! The one continuity was the friendly staff and stellar customer service. Our stay at this hotel made us realize how much we missed Tallahassee and how great some family owned hotels can still be when they truly care about their customers!

For some reason hotels.com booked me a smoking room. I did not believe these rooms existed in 2019. I refused the first room offered, 109, as it smelt putrid. I accepted 107 as it did not seem as bad, after leaving the door open for 30 mins with aircon blasting. However, because of the smell I got around 1 hours sleep. I even noticed the bedding had at least 1 cigarette burn on it, photo attached. Basically if you are a non smoker stay well clear.

The room was very clean, ready and they were very considerate of the fact that I have a disabled dog, so they had a room for me ready downstairs. Very pleased with the service, the breakfast had a very large selection, very nice lobby and inviting dining area. Easy to locate vending and ice machines and this place is so close to awesome places here in Tallahassee! This will be our stopping place when we return. Thank you!!

This place had old beds from 30 years ago mine drooped in the middle both of them the carpet was dirty and burn holes all over it. They had roaches they love to raise the rates this is at best a 40 motel not a 250. all other hotels allow us to check out early but they will Not. The breakfast is mediocre at best. They overcharged my card and were suppose to refund it. Although it is the company paying I have to pay anything over 14 days we submit ever 14 days not 45 which they charged 6300. this was wrong fix it don't give credit so I have to pay the bill which I can't afford that amount. Another girl had to leave early they refused to let her without paying. I had maid service twice in 36 days only got sheets and towels etc. as I needed them I was a perfect guest as far as that goes. I called corporate and the GM wrote me an email like I had done something wrong I can see from the messages on here that she has a chip on her shoulder and obviously has people writing good reviews that it Does Not deserve. I spent total 4500 for 36 night here which is ridiculous and this was corp. rates they take advantage I along with another worker told our travel agent to never book us with them in the future. The only positive I can say is the location was good but other than that I cannot say anything positive. The best I can say is read all the reviews the bad ones are the correct ones no one would think this is a good deal.

My recent trip to Tallahassee was pleasant due to the great staff and location of the Best Western. I was treated right away upon entering the lobby, the room was extra clean I had to air it out from the cleaning smell..that's better than the opposite. The breakfast was very good and Inn conveniently located. After leaving the Inn, I noticed I forgot paperwork and the general manager responded quickly to check for it after my phone call and responded by saving the items for me. A few days later he followed up to see how he could help and offered to drop the paperwork in the mail. It is rare today to find such efficiency and I would recommend a stay due to the great service, location and nicely updated lobby. Kudos to Mike Parmar for running a Best Western that is above the average.

The room was spacious and had all needed amenities (fridge, microwave, coffee maker, internet, tv., breakfast, etc) Staff was pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was the heavy use of deodorizer in the room.

The hotel is located close to many amenities, restaurants, shops, and the mall. The hotel itself looks old and the room we were in smells old but it's ok, it has room amenities. The bathroom was small but complete with toiletries. Wi-fi was free in all areas. Breakfast was included and the food was good. The reception staff was efficient and friendly.

Hotel is nothing fancy and the rates were very high due to FSU graduation. We had a hard time getting the hotel to verify our visit to collect our nights toward another room. Otherwise stay was merely acceptable.

Our daughter forgot her teddy turtle in the room... We called to the hotel and ask if they would be able to post it to us. Hotel manager Mike took care of it immediately and mail the teddy to us here Miami. He insisted to pay for the delivery too. What an outstanding service, little visitor could not have been happier. And of course, us as well. Thanks for taking such good care of your customers, when ever going back to Tallahassee, this will definitely be our hotel again! Have a nice holidays, big hugs from us!

This Best Western Hotel is the Best! Close to downtown, set back off the road so it is quiet, friendly helpful staff, clean, modern, spacious rooms, a very nice breakfast, close to many different restaurants and a shopping center. I highly recommend this hotel

I know i am writing this review a bit late after our stay during the hurricane. This hotel was one of the very few that had power and tv. The hotel owners did NOT increase the prices even though some places did so in a very disturbing way. The hotel was very very compassionate at the dire situation of of most of the guests . The hotel allowed us to bring our pets AT NO COST . The room was clean and had all the frills . Very nice breakfast and we will always stay here in the future. Once again i applaud the hotel staff and owners

Came down for a week long stay on business, this was practically the only hotel in a 30 mile radius with any availability. Personally I'm not a big fan of this style of hotel where all the rooms open right outside into the parking lot, but overall I enjoyed my stay. The room was clean even though it had one of those strange hotel room smells, the towels weren't the scratchiest I've ever used which was nice, however they had black stains on them, like old makeup or something that just never could get washed out. The water was excellently hot for showers, and the water pressure was decent. The free WiFi was about 3-5Mbps which is pretty average. The front desk workers were pleasant and worked quickly, and I never did get down to the lobby for breakfast so I can't comment on the quality there. The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were soft and plentiful. Environment noise was a bit higher than I'd like, again since the room doors open up right into the parking lot, and at one point I definitely smelled someone in a room nearby smoking marijuana... A couple days before I was scheduled to arrive I found out that I needed to book one extra day early due to travel arrangements so I called in and added an extra day to my stay. The regular room cost was $112 a night, and for that one extra day they charged me over $350! That was an unpleasant surprise, at least my company paid for that haha. Overall it was a decent hotel, better than I was expecting.

I was in Tally for my father's funeral. Unfortunately, the timing of this fell after the Hurricane tore up the panhandle. there were no hotel rooms available anywhere. Finally, this one opened and i grabbed it. I was a little disappointed that the prices seemed a bit higher than normal, but was happy to have a room to stay, since i was from out of town. Hotel is still being renovated, so there s some minor inconveniences, but based on what they have already done, it will be worth it. Very convenient location, also. I would stay again.

This stay was wonderful. I had 2 rooms for hurricane evacuations. The rooms were really nice, alot of people had to come with dogs; which I did not hear any thru the walls, the hotel was just awesome with everything. Breakfast was decent and replinished often. I had an a/c problem, which a guy quickly came and put a brand new unit in. The staff was just wonderful. Thank you all for the excellent hospitality.

I just want to say out of the 12 times I have stayed at this location, this was the worst experience. To begin, the lock on our door was faulty upon the 1st night. We arrived around 10pm to find out hotel room wide open, we complained, they stated that we must've not closed the door. On the second day, the same thing accorded. The maintenance worker stated that the lock was faulty and the hotel managers wasn't suppose to book the room. The manager refused to move us to another room stating the hotel was full. All hotels was booked in the city for a special homecoming week. Lastly, we requested room service not come in out rooms due to we feared they was stealing or leaving our door open. When we requested for towels (twice), the worker in the lobby stated they was out. Out of out four day stay, we never got fresh towels when requested. I discussed my concerns with Hema, who everytime blew me out saying, "Can you call back next monday?" or when I was present at the hotel stated, "I will follow up with my worker." I am a travel nurse and my company book me a lot to stay at best western as well as other travelers, this was the worst experience and I will never in my life stay again. I paid 3x the rate (around $600) to come back to an open room and dirty towels. Hema refused to compensate me when I requested so on day 2. She refused to refund me my money. She has poor consumer service, poor management skills, and need to be fired. I'll take my business somewhere else.

This hot/motel is not a new place but is kept in very good condition and was much better then a lot of places newer but nowhere near as well looked after this place. The lobby was being brenovated and looked really nice with modern settings. My room 122 was bigger then most places who charge an arm and aleg for much less. The hotel is off the main road and very peaceful

Needed a room in tallahassee and saw this location on the internet. The place was clean and well maintained. The land scaping was very nice and seemed new. The lobby seemed newly renovatedand was very nicely done. My room was bigger then the average hotel room i have stayed at.and the main thing was it was very clean. the breakfast was also very nice with an attendant

Every year my family and I come to Tallahassee for the home opener, each time we choose to stay at this hotel; without a doubt it has never failed us. This hotel has undergone several renovations since we have been staying here and I must say they are nothing short of fantastic. All of the rooms are clean and modern, the hot breakfast is something my kids enjoy as they always rotate breakfast items in the morning. For the price, this hotel is always a great value compared to the price gouged hotels in Tallahassee during home games. This hotel is down the street from downtown and a 5 minute Uber from College town and Doak Campbell Stadium. I highly recommend this hotel even if you are just passing through Tallahassee or here for an FSU or FAMU football game. Terrific customer service, great value, and honorable customer loyalty.

This hotel was disgusting. The room was so dirty we didn't want to touch anything. Sheets were stained and bathroom looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. Considered buying bleach before realizing it wasn't worth it. Went to get something to eat and find another hotel, which is hard during a game weekend. When we came back two hours later to check out someone was urinating on the pool chairs. Not surprising, we were charged for the night despite not staying. Would not recommend.

My family loves the Panhandle of Florida. It has exquisite views and nature all the way to Wakulla Springs and out to the Gulf. We had a great sleep here at the Best Western. Their lobby is sweet and rooms spacious. I feel the friendliness of the staff exceeds the required amount and we loved the location. One of our favorite locations because of Cascade Park close to downtown. I hope this hotel keeps the vintage looking lobby as well. Thanks Best Western!

When we visit Tallahassee as a family, this is where we stay. It's a short drive to the Capital, the mall, restaurants, and all things FSU. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is outstanding.

Stayed here 2 nights while visiting family. From the point of check in, felt welcomed. The room was very roomy. When we went to breakfast, the attendant noticed that the orange juice was a little watery. She immediately acknowledged this, fixed it and even brought us a new juice to our table. I will say there are not enough tables in the breakfast area for when they are busy. It didn't help that other patrons were finished with breakfast and sat there taking up a table while they talked. Don't know how the hotel could fix that, asking them to leave would have been rude. They should have taken their conversation out to the lobby which had a sitting area, as people were standing and waiting for a table. We stayed upstairs, there is no elevator. We had an ice chest that normally we pull on wheels but had to carry up the stairs instead. As we were getting ready to leave, an employee saw my husband man-handle our ice chest and she just jumped right in to help. Every employee we passed was friendly, telling us hello or good morning or have a good day! We will definitely return to this location!

We totaly enjoyed the hotel and the great location close the main road but a bit awy that gave it a country feel. The room was in great shape and it was clean which is very important to us. The price was within our budget

Convenient and quiet, just off the busier road. Near to walk to shopping and some restaurants. But staffing for food related items was not up to par. Lobby Coffee was cold. It was lukewarm in the morning. Breakfast area just did not get attention it deserved. Rooms were adequate. Bathroom could have used some updating.

The motel is centerally located within easy driving distance of anywhere in the city. The staff was very friendly and greeted us at every occasion. They even were smiling early in the morning as we took advantage of the free breakfast. The rooms were clean and well maintained. The shower in our room had the curtain that bowed out in the middle to give extra room which is always nice. There is a Target just to the east of the motel with a grocery which was very convenient. Headind east you have to make a U-turn to enter the motel, but it is easy. To exit from the motel, I would suggest going through Kohl's parking lot since is flatter and offers a better view of on coming traffic.

Easy check in, room was a bit small but adequate for an overnight stay. Well equipped and clean, with a fridge and microwave, plus wi fi. Just a short drive into down town. We didn't have time to explore the pool but some families who were staying appeared to be having a good time. The included buffet breakfast was good, if a bit hectic when we were there, just timing really. I had very little interaction with the staff so its difficult to rate them. Overall a very good travellers overnight resting place.

The owners were very friendly, Room was clean and comfortable. TV, Wi-fi worked perfectly. Showers was good. Not a breakfast person so can't comment on that. Quiet room and mine was close to the highway. Neighborhood seemed safe, had lots of businesses around it.

We came to this pet friendly location which was highly recommended by family and friends. The property is an exterior facing place with lovely huge shady trees. The area is located just off the main road hence it was very quiet . We had a good nights rest.

This was a spur of the moment stay and had no regrets. The whole place was in a very tranquil location and the room was clean. We did try out the morning breakfast and it was better then we expected. The grounds are kept immaculate and very scenic. we will be passind back thru tallahasseand we will stay here again

I would recommend this best western because of the location & beautiful shade trees. The facility was a bit dated but clean & safe. The staff was courteous & professional. The breakfast had variety. Just try it, you'll love it.

while I specifically requested a no smoking room, the desk clerk said, "you booked smoking, right?" When we got to our "non-smoking" room, it had clearly been sprayed excessively with something to try to cover the smell of smoke. My husband couldn't stop sneezing from whatever it was. The pillows are tiny and lumpy, the room was shabby and oddly shaped. There was a random wall sticking out about 4 feet in from of the toilet, tub part of the bathroom. The sink area was at least 6 feet from the toilet out in the room. The breakfast was really bad, rubbery eggs, hard biscuits, and sausage that was hard to identify as sausage. Numerous calls to a manager named Miss Hemma resulted in no satisfaction about any complaint Do yourself a favor, and look for a LaQuinta or Comfort Suites instead.

We came to visit our family member and got a great hospital rate at this best western. The place is an older property but very well looked after. The room was bigger then normal hotel rooms with a big HD tv but the main thing was is was clean . The bathroom seemed like it was newly renovated. The breakfast had a big variety of hot and cold items. There was an attendant refilling all the time. We will be staying here again.

The hotel is an exterior entry antiquated motor lodge. I had my two you daughters with me and had to run to work in the morning. To my surprise check out was at 11am. I called the front desk and they said it would be alright to stay until 11:30 or so. When I arrived around 11:40 my 13 and 15 year old daughters were terrified standing in the parking lot because they were told to leave the room. I would not recommend this place to an enemy. On top of it the room was in excess of $170 per night.

We booked directly with BW and thought we had a non smoking room. The friendly staff asked when we checked in if we booked a smoking room and said no. The hotel was fully booked by they tried to find a room for us and since there was so much going on that weekend we had to settle for the smoking room. From there it went down hill. The has the paint falling off of the bathroom door. The wall next to the tub is cracked and has what looks like black mold coming from the crack. The room was not quite, with doors slamming. I like a firm mattress and this one was way to soft for my taste. The facility needs a major overhall.

First time at this property but we have been loving the Best Western properties. We were upgraded to a King suite as gold members. Very nice hotel and had a complete breakfast. Very nice staff. Very nice room

The front desk staff was to the point, but not welcoming. The rooms were very clean, but tried. Coffee was very weak and breakfast food was poor quality. The location was great, since it was walking distance to a nice restaurant.

Check out the room before unloading the car or establishing your occupancy because you might want a clean room. The bathroom tub was filthy, black course hair in the tub and on the tile. We were too tired to change rooms and didn't dare check out the sheets...

This is a no frills hotel the price was within my budget and was very clean and seemed very safe. The mall is within walking distance and there are many interesting places nearby . price is the main factor in my budget and this was well within it .We did try out the breakfast and we were impressed by the breakfast person who went out far and beyond to make it peasant we will have no problem recommending this place to our family and friends

The price was right and the best part was the location . Central to a lot of eating places with a massive Kohls right next door. Room was clean with recently renovated bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and the check in and the check out was pain free . We did enjoy the breakfast even though we are not big breakfast eaters.

This hotel has exterior facing room and that is perfect us us as we hate emptying the whole car but take only what is needed.The room was bigger then the normal hotel rooms we have stayed at. Clean with a huge TV and a separate seating area. Breakfast starts at 6am and that is perfect for us early travelers We will stay here again

We stayed here during our child's flu visit and found this place in a very convenient location. Nice clean room with good amenities. Serene surrounding with great landscape. The breakfast was more then what we expected with plenty of hot items and fruits

I would have expected more for the money. Towels were nice, but bed pillows were tiny and lumpy, bathroom smelled like cigarette smoke, and drapes would not close all the way. Weird noises at night, and louder outside than expected. Still, it was 40 less that night than a Hampton, and you get what you pay for.

This was a very disappointing stay. It was unclear to us that this was a motel not a hotel. There was a lot of noise and I can't imagine how much worse it would be on the first floor. We demanded a room on the second floor but it was still noisy. My boyfriend referred to this place as a scene out of a scary movie. We really felt unsafe here and I would not recommend this hotel for people traveling with children or women by themselves. The room itself was ok. The bathroom was very tiny. There's only about a 2 inch clearance between the toilet and bathroom door. The room wasn't dirty except for the bedspread. There was a refrigerator and microwave. Also a decent sized vanity area separate from the toilet/shower. I would not recommend this motel. For the same price we could've been in a much nicer hotel and felt safer.

We were enroute to Panama City Beach for a high school competition and needless to say were to exhausted to continue. We stayed here, as I am a platinum Best Western member and have never had a bad experience. This Best Western on the other hand needs some attention. Very sketchy people coming and going all hours so sleep was impossible. Granted it is an old school motel type establishment, but cleanliness is still expected. Immediately upon getting into bed, a blood stained pillowcase doesnt exactly give the feeling that the bed was clean, nor anything for that matter. We both ended up in the same bed as upon inspection, we picked the one that “ appeared” clean. It was so late, that I did not have the energy to go complain and change rooms. From the looks of the hotel I don't know that it would have made a difference. Seems like security is lacking, as we were 2 women alone and just hearing the cars coming and going at all hours along with the shady location and people, it does not feel safe. In all honesty I have stayed at numerous Best Westerns that were MUCH less and had better experiences. $100/ night in this area seems like it would go farther. I would definitely not return. All we wanted was sleep and it was impossible to get any.

The nauseating fragrance that was used to cover up the smell of cigarettes or whatever was so heavy it just gave a creepy feeling of trying to cover up filth w a strong perfume. Yet it looked fairly clean. The breakfast was better than a lot of places serve. Be warned: the rooms open to the outside not a hallway, it is in the downtown area and you don't feel safe! Felt like we should have found another place.

On the out skirts of town at a fair price - the hotel and rooms were clean enough the rooms we fine -- on the out shirts of the main town area so not ideal but price was good service was good - hotel ask for a cash deposit for some reason and this was a bit of a pain as we had mainly our credit cards but we got it sorted - Breakfast was ok usual buffet style - good options and plentiful I would return

Best value for your dollar. Always clean and staff is great. Breakfast is always fresh and good, and there's something for all eaters. Rooms are spacious and beds are super comfortable. I have stayed in several hotels in Tallahassee. I think this is best!!

Our party had 4 different rooms, so these comments are not based on only one room. This was the only place we could find to stay and now I know why. The rooms did not feel sanitized although they appeared "clean". There was a stale old smell to all the rooms as if they were all smoking rooms at one point and never were cleaned. One of the people in our party has allergies and he couldn't sleep in his room all night because of the stale smoke that permeated all the cloth surfaces. Check-in was a nightmare. There was only 1 person behind the desk at prime check-in time and there was a line 5 parties deep. The location is also a little strange, it is down a overgrown drive and does not feel safe (not well lit at night). I would not stay here again!

This was our first time staying with Best Western in Tallahassee and our experience was nothing short of amazing, all of the hotel staff were helpful and accommodating. The rooms were clean and comfortable with great value. The hotel is pet friendly which was very convenient for my family and I. A big thank you to the management for all of their help

After 5 hours in the car it's soothing to have a dip in a cool pool and enjoy the warm sun in comfy chairs for a little while. Nice feature here. The rooms are big and spotless, internet fast. Good sleep. Breakfast is good and bad. Good thing is scrambled eggs. But the oranges and the bananas were much to old, yak.

It is a tad hidden from the main thoroughfares which gives the property the quiet peaceful atmosphere. There were beatiful birds and the pool space is small but a treat if the weather allows you to enjoy it. Rooms are comfortable, standard for this kind of hotel layout. I really want to mention that the property is somewhat hidden by trees and not right on the side of the parkway because although it could be a tad difficult to find the entrance if you are not familiar with the area, it is a blissfully quiet spot to sleep at night. Property is kept neat and clean, simple, with no frills nor fancy expensive stuff or decorations but it offers a decent place to stay for a good rate. The parking is well designed and well lit. Breakfast has good offerings of home-like stapples: cereals, waffles, toast, pastries, eggs and sausages, yogurt, juices.

Stayed at this location many years ago. It's obvious they went through a major renovation in the rooms and the landscaping. It looks really nice. Really loved the room color scheme. Nice huge tv Before they had only a continental breakfast now they offer hot items also all at no extra cost !! Plenty of great eating places nearby

The receptionist had her kids playing in the lobby and behind the desk. I went in the kitchen area and there was another child in there! Extremely unprofessional. 2 days later i went to check out and bam her kids again using the lobby furniture as a jungle gym. This motel has outdoor rooms and is way back off the main road. Its hard to find/get to. I recommend staying at the best western plus just north of this one instead. GHETTO

It was such a nice stay! The staff was very pleasant and professional! It was in a great location! the rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great! Next time I come to Tallahassee I will be staying at this hotel again!!

This hotel was very comfortable! Spacious and clean room, hospitable staff. I've personally stayed at a lot hotels in this area and this is definitely the one I would stay at repeatedly. Will be back on the next visit and furthermore.

Upon arrival we were assigned a room where we found roaches. I went back down to the desk to report it and they gave us another room. The next morning we woke up and turned on the lights and.....ROACHES!!!!!! Won't be staying there again any time soon!

Room smell like mildew, had beard trimmings in my wash cloth, many stains on carpet. Room wasn't cleanest. Room was average. Steep hill to enter and exit hotel, onto busy road. Kids running around by pool screaming until late. Walls paper thin, can hear everything neighbors are doing.

My husband and I were in a very severe accident. Everyone at the hotel has been extremely helpful and accomodating to our needs. The rooms and service are excellent, the staff are extremely friendly!!!!!!!

I stayed in a king suite and found it to be comfortable, spacious and clean. There is nothing fancy about this hotel but it is fine. I liked that it had a refrigerator and the bathroom floor was heated. The breakfast was so so, but adequate. The hotel was difficult to find the first time, as it sits back off of Appalachee Parkway, though the sign is noticeable. But once you find it, all is well.

The place looked recently renovated and the landscape wastotaly redonesince the last time we stayed here.Same smiling faces with good guest attitude . Check in and checkout was seamless and we did try the breakfast is it was plenty and reasonable.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. The staff was very kind and helpful towards my needs. I definitely recommend starting your morning with the breakfast, a lot of variety and a good way to start the day. Will definitely be back on my future stays in Tallahassee.

The hotel was more then adiquate for our needs and the price was well within our budget. the room was clean and the overall stay was good. The morning far was an added bonus whichch also helped with our hungry brood. We will stay here again

I would give this place Zero stars if that was available. The rooms were all renovated and look nice as the pictures show. When we checked in Gloria at the desk was very nice and friendly. We were given a room. Went to the non-smoking room (as the entire place is supposed to be non-smoking) and the stench of old stale smoke was prominent. I asked Gloria for a new room and after getting permission to move us she did. So we got a new room next door to the other room. You walk into this room and the overwhelming odor of room deodorizer was present. Ok, we thought. We will tolerate this as its better than the first room. Well, once you turn the a/c unit on and the deodorizer wears off the stale old smell of smoke arises. It wasn't as strong as the first room and now it was 10pm and the hotel is sold out due to FSU game weekend. So we have no choice but to stay in the room. The sheets had a smoke odor as that smoke smell tends to settle onto any fabrics. It seemed like they renovated all the rooms but kept the original a/c wall units and the smell of smoke when that was allowed years ago still runs in/out of the units. Even when we brought our college son back to our room Saturday evening the first thing he says is 'your room stinks". So at 8:30pm on the second night we check out and have to lose our money for Saturday night stay. We couldn't take it anymore. Then when we got home today I had to wash all the clothes including the ones we didn't wear because the suitcase was left open in the room and that all had a mild smoke odor. Would never stay here again.

First I didn't actually stay at hotel. But I had to inform others of the amazing CS. My family welcomed a very premature 29wks baby girl 10/24, needless to say so much was going on at hospital I missed my 10/27 cx date. Called hotel on 10/30( when I could finally exhale) explained the situation promised to be put on list as hotel fills up. And on Wed as promised they called to confirm cancellation would be honored. The young lady was so pleasant and thoughtful, she remembered my situation and asked about the baby.. In this day of poor customer service and lack of caring. I had to take this opportunity to thank BW staff for restoring my faith that businesses can still have compassion.

My family and I stay at this hotel from time to time throughout the year and it gets better and better each time. The hotel has underwent a lot of renovations since our first stay before we could even remember but lets just say all changes have been for the best! Hotel staff is as friendly as can be, great customer service and surprisingly we have never had any issues during our stays. A great place that is family and pet friendly, looking forward to our next stay and visiting Tallahassee. Make sure to try Chuy's mexican restaurant just down the street and BJ's brewhouse across the street are great places to have an excellent meal with family and friends when visiting.

This hotel is a complete gem and definitely somewhere I plan to stay on every trip to Tallahassee. I've stayed in many places in Tallahassee and I haven't received the type hospitality and customer service anywhere like I experienced at this hotel. Everyone was so friendly and generous to make sure they met my needs. The rooms were comfortable and spacious. The breakfast in the morning was the best way to start my day. Most importantly, the property was CLEAN. I can't wait to come back and visit Tallahassee and this property again.

This hotel was way over priced for the quality offered. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, but the room was lacking. The room is very old-style and dated. The worst part is the outside, ground floor access. No interior hallway.

My husband and I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past year while visiting our daughter at FSU. In the beginning it was OK..nothing special. Stayed here in August and started having problems. Carpet in room was stained. After out first night there we left in the morning to spend the day moving our daughter into her dorm room. When we got back that night the used towels were sitting in a pile on the desk by the door and when we went into the bathroom there was almost no toilet paper left on the roll and housekeeping did not leave any spare rolls. So had to go down to front desk (no one to bring any up) and get TP and an extra set of towels. There was 3 of us staying in the room and they only left 2 sets. Stayed there again a couple weeks ago and things did not improve. The first room the toilet ran all night and when you took a shower you were in ankle deep water since the tub was not draining well. Next day asked to change rooms (which the lady at the front desk was very nice about). We moved to a room on 2nd floor which seemed to be much cleaner. Went out that day and when we came back went to take a shower and there were NO towels, there were no plastic bags in the garbage cans and they made the beds with the blanket then the sheet then bedspread. Once again had to go to office to get towels and person did not seem too interested in hearing about the problems. They advertise that the office is 24 hours but went to turn in key and check out at 5am and no one answered the bell. Looked inside where the night check in window was and saw a TV on and all the lights out, so I guess someone was taking a nap! Waited around about 10 minutes, then left. Had to leave without a receipt. Will definitely be staying elsewhere in the future..maybe at the nice Best Western off I-10. It's more expensive than this one but you get what you pay for.

I honestly don't know where the other positive reviews came from on this hotel. They sound fake. I've never had cause to write a review before in my life, but I want to warn others so they avoid the same fate. Based on reviews in this site and others, it seems like this is a decent hotel, and by the time you get here and check in, it's too late to get your money back. There was already a red flag before I even checked in. My colleague had to cancel, and the hotel seems to have 2 contradictory cancellation policies: one says you have to cancel a week in advance, the other says you have to cancel by 4pm day of arrival. When he booked, he saw the 4pm one, and so he called before 4pm to cancel. The hotel said only the general manager could cancel, but that the general manager wasn't available and wouldn't be back until 3 days from now. There was no one else "authorized" to cancel the reservation and that there was no way to get in touch with the general manager (which is an outright lie since the GM seems to reply directly to every review on this site & provides both an email address and phone number). Second red flag: the reviews and photos don't tell you that the hotel is down a really steep hill and is rather separated, not in a good way, from public view or other public buildings. Third red flag: when I checked in, another former guest had returned to make sure she was being refunded because she had to check out. Her first room, which was supposed to be non-smoking, reeked of smoke. Her second room had bugs. She said the woman the day before had checked her out, and when she came back to double check, the system showed her as still being checked in. Additional issue: I didn't feel safe being alone if I were placed in a first floor room because the rooms all have exterior entrances. The problem is, they only have stairs and no elevator, which is difficult for someone with a heavy suitcase. Last straw: when I entered the room, the bed hadn't been fully made--the pillows were on a stack on the dresser. The sink hadn't been cleaned and had the water/soap backsplash residue on the faucet and other dirty spots in the basin. The tub had hair in it, and a soap wrapper seemed stuck to the side of the tub. I had no faith that they'd be able to get me a clean room, so I went to a couple other hotels in the area to see if they had vacancies. One of the other hotels said 5 other people had just left this hotel because of the issues. Several people said this hotel has a reputation of bad service and bad quality and that I should've known better--how could I have known better when the reviews seemed mostly positive? That's why I find that many of these reviews cannot be real. Seems like a sham to boost their ratings to get more business and trap people into paying for a sub-par hotel. Avoid this hotel at all costs.

Clean rooms and lovely staff with hot breakfast and lots of options! Close to the downtown area without being too urban and the rates were reasonable! Within walking distance to a fun restaurant. Detached pool facilities were clean and pleasant.

Convenient, clean , quiet, friendly staff, comfortable bed, good price. What else do you need? Maybe REAL eggs for breakfast but really...no complaints at all. A great deal. We enjoyed the large room and the comfortable couch to sit on, lots of luggage space, an iron....very convenient place.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay. The weekend staff that helped me felt genuinely nice and gave me clear instructions regarding breakfast, wifi, and where my room was at. Room was clean and tidy... no complaints. Everything worked and functioned as it should. Remote died on me and was quickly replaced by staff. When I was checking out the staff was incredibly sweet and apologetic regarding the landscaping noise outside (which was a non issue to me). The fact that they recognized in advance that it might have been an inconvenience meant something. They even sent me off with some fruit for my flight since I missed breakfast. Pool felt and looked amazing although I didn't have a chance to enjoy it.

The rooms are nice and big . However the breakfast that they offer for a Best Western is total garbage. One expects to have a working waffle machine. One also expects to find yogurt and much other stuff like that. The front desk lady is nice. They also have nice landscaping.

The room had a live roach in the bathroom, beetle on the wall, and a dead roach in the coffee maker. Maids were loud yelling from floor to floor, smoking at entrances and just rude.(All but one man who worked in maintenance). Went through 3 T.V. remotes as batteries were dead. Tried calling office three times with no answer. The only thing I noticed that was good was soft pillows. I will never stay there again.

Nice location in a very quite place, but close to the city center. We had some issues with the toilet but promptly were given another room and the rest of our 1-night stay was with no issues. Decent breakfasts.

not bad if you are visiting your kids at school, can be pricier than expected, but quality is okay. the breakfast is the better part of the stay since you can actually get some eggs and sausage instead of the standard make your own waffles, and the internet was always working very well and I had no problem streaming netflix

I had to stay here for an extended stay and was VERY pleased with this hotel. It is by far one of the best managed hotels I have ever stayed at. The front desk went above and beyond to fix issues that occurred with my reservation. The manager was quite helpful and communicative as well. They have 24 hour maintenance and when a problem occurred in my room they quickly came and resolved it. This hotel is being renovated and updated as well. My room was VERY clean and comfortable. Kudos to management of this hotel for great staff and a great location. You made my home away from home a very pleasant stay.

A quick overnight stay in town. The hotel was very clean and had not issues. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast offered was very good. Plenty of times to choose from. Our bed was more firm than I like but all in all was a good experience.

Don't let the exterior deter you from staying at this hotel. It was clean and the staff was very helpful. The location was great for restaurants, proximity to shopping and closeness to FSU. We were allowed to bring our small pet.

If I hadn't already prepaid for the room I would leave. Trip advisor rated this hotel very high. I'm disappointed. 1st. checked in went to room no vanity light. They were quick to fix it but it just tells me the maid service isn't doing their job 2nd. Went to bed no lights next to bed. No bulbs in fixtures. Give me a break 3rd strike. This morning went for breakfast and no coffee, no food. When I said something to management they said she is replenishing it right now. That's when she brought out 1 pan full of eggs no coffee. People had been waiting over 5 minutes for coffee. We left and went down the street for coffee. Canopy Grill But, I guess I should thank the maid or the service man for leaving a bud of marijuana on the vanity countertop. Not really just part of the very bad experience. Needs new management. And oh by way you're going to have to sign a piece of paper when you check in that says you will not steal from them.

Clean, convenient and recently updated rooms. Walking distance to Mall and several restaurants. This is my hotel of choice in Tallahassee especially due to the location and value. It is also next to Kohls, Apalachee Parkway and is quiet.

Courteous & personable staff that do whatever it takes to make your stay a pleasant one. The General Manager, Mike, makes himself available for any questions or concerns that you have. Great breakfast that has so many choices to choose from. The breakfast is a great idea for the kids. Never had a bad experience here and will be returning again.

I have stayed here a number of times in the past 6 years. Always a friendly check in process, a decent warm breakfast. Rooms are spacious and the accommodations are always very satisfactory. Great location to get anywhere in the Tallahassee area within 15 minutes.

Bath room toliet not clean, room was supposed to be non-smoking but smelled of prior smoke. Act was noisy and did not cool well, food in breakfast was not hot, not the coffee, or eggs, or biscuits. We threw all away. Staff was friendly but the rest left a lot to be improved.

I do not recommend this place. This was a Motel 6 that changed names to Best Western, but NOT appearance. It was a terrible experience, when I came in to the reception area nobody was there, and someone opened a door, took the head in and out, but never said a word, like if they were hiding something, or if they saw a monster coming in. Please avoid this place!

This hotel definitely is one of a kind. The amenities it included definitely made the stay beyond anything I could have imagined. I look forward to coming back during football games because it is right next to downtown which makes the commute very easy! Will definitely be back, and thank you to all of the staff for being so kind and helpful throughout my stay.

My family and I were traveling to Louisiana and decided to stop and stay the night in Tallahassee, I found a great deal on this hotel through Best Western and decied to book based on the Trip Advisor reviews. For the price it was highly rated and a bargain for a family just passing through town. Upon check in we were greeted by Gloria at the front desk, we had my mother with us and she thoughtfully upgraded our room to a suite and placed us on the ground floor on a night which looked like they were sold out. The rooms were excellent to say the least, we have stayed at numerous BW Hotels and this experience was one of the best. The rooms looked newly renovated, the bathrooms were clean, a large tv, and a comfortable bed with spotless sheets/pillows (passed my usual hotel room walk through). The hotel breakfast opens at 6am, as we were eager to get our 8+ hour drive started we arrived as the breakfast opened. The breakfast attendant was so helpful, caring, and kind at a time in the morning when we were all barely awake. Customer service excelled at this location from the moment we checked in till the moment we checked out! I highly recommend this hotel for anybody staying or driving through our state capital. Thank you!

This hotel was in the best spot, next to Governor's Square mall and Kohl's, it was also far enough away from FSU and FAMU, so as to not get caught up in the student traffic. The customer received here was great, above average, but the hotel wasn't that great. For the price of the hotel, it was decent, but I wasn't impressed by it's features.

What can I say... this hotel was the best place for my family and I to stay while visiting tallahassee. Being right next to downtown and FSU, it is definitely my go-to hotel whenever I visit tallahassee. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was better then most hotels I've ever stayed at, and more importantly the staff was so generous and helpful. Can't wait to come back and definitely recommending this place to others.

Well let's just say this was the first and last time staying in this hotel. Pictures did not match the hotel I think those photos were taken before they opened. Also I didn't stay for breakfast because we had an uninvited guest walking(crawling) around. Very disappointed.

So very disappointed with this Bestwestern. There was a good number of things broken, dirty and old in our room. The bathroom had broken items, almost all used toilet tissue, only a couple of wash rags and towels, very cheap toiletries, and rust, dirt and grime everywhere. The microwave was filthy and disgusting and when I opened it I couldn't stand to reheat my cup of coffee. I paid 120 plus for this room because the pictures were misleading and reviews mixed. At check in I complained to the front desk girl after viewing the room and she said she couldn't do anything because it was booked by a 3rd party. I only stayed 3 hours in the room to rest just a bit before continuing our road trip and it was absolutely not worth the money I spent. Additionally after I booked for 120 I saw these rooms going for 70 dollars with the same booking company I had just used. I had to call the booking company to dispute their price match guarantee. Didn't eat breakfast but my guests checked it out and they weren't to impressed. They need more hot items and healthy choices.

Had a reservation. I call the hotel to let them know we were on our way. Spoke to Gloria at hotel. She said the manager let my 2 day reservation go. They had no rooms for me. I had made the reservation 6 months before. They allegedly said my credit card declined. Amazingly, they never let me know. They never called me, text nor emailed me. Corporate office said they can do that to my reservation. Thanks for leaving me and my family stranded. My reservation was confirmed and confirmed with Booking.com . Booking apologized and assisted me with another hotel. Didn't check into hotel until 1:15am. Oh, paid other hotel with same credit card( Best Western said was declined) LIARS !

Brought our child to FSU Orientation in June 2017. We stayed at the Best Western Tallahassee Downtown Inn & Suites. Called the hotel directly and they gave us a great rate. Clean hotel, good breakfast and close drive to FSU. We will stay here again.

Agreed this hotel is not new. But the place is clean and well looked aftermath a lot of useable amenities in a really huge room . Well designed and most important it was clean. The breakfast was well presented and the attendant was on the ball keeping the supplies well loaded with lovely disposition . We had dinner at BJ across the street an loved it

OK hotel off main drag into center of Tallahassee. Fine if you just need somewhere to sleep. Room didn't smell great, attempted cover-up by lots of deodorizer. Comfortable beds, usual facilities. Bathroom a little aged. Good cooked breakfast buffet. Easy to miss sign and access off of Apalachee Parkway. Can get back to it via Kohl's parking lot too! Right next to large mall if that's your thing. We heeded a previous review, and drove down to Cascades Park for an evening walk (free parking after 6pm). Gorgeous! Nothing but chains close by for eating, but easy to drive into downtown area (parking also free after 6pm at meters) and we had a fabulous meal at Jasmine Cafe.

The room was decent and clean, the beds as comfortable as most, but the window A/C unit did not cool room down enough for a comfortable night's sleep. Staff pleasant but not overly friendly or enthusiastic.

The hotel room was clean, save for 2 M&M's I found on the floor by the small couch. Sheets were nice and white and the room smelled good. A/C worked great. Our parking spot was directly in front of our door (for the bottom floor rooms). The front desk ladies for the night and the morning were both very nice. We stayed here for one night en route to our true destination of Sanibel Island. The hotel is a good value for one night if you just need a clean place to rest your head. The hotel is ducked off away from the main drag down a small road, so it's quiet and seemed quite safe. It seemed like the guests were mostly made up of blue collar, working men out here on jobs. The hot breakfast is good, albeit a little limited on choices. Breakfast area is clean. The lobby is clean and welcoming. There is also a pool which is nice, although it's not very big. If I was in Tallahassee again, I would probably stay at the hotel.

This hotel was a last minute booking through Best Western, booked the room on points so we were not sure what to expect. Upon arriving to the hotel we were pleasantly surprised this hotel was off the main road and extremely quiet. Rooms were modern and clean, front desk staff was quite helpful and accomadating. Hotel is close to downtown and a lot of great restaurants in the area. Looking forward to our next stay at the Best Western Tallahassee Downtown

You get what you pay for. Large room, in need of a renovation. Carpet shows severe signs of wear and tear. But we slept OK and enjoyed the tip of the receptionist to visit Cascades Park nearby at dusk: a pleasant environment for a stroll. Breakfast is very basic: no fruit or yoghurt.

Great staff at the front desk. Check in was a breeze. Check out was just as easy. It is easy to miss the BW drive way off US 27 so look out for the hotel. It is a great place to stay if in Tallahassee.

Quick pit stop for us on our drive from New Orleans to Tampa Bay area. Room was large, clean and had everything we needed. Yes it's no Hilton but it's a safe and quiet nights sleep. Breakfast was good in the morning. Easy check in and check out.

Our daughter is in her senior year at FSU and we stayed at several locations before we found this property a couple of years ago. We will now stay nowhere else when we come up. It's very clean, comfortable, quiet and the staff is extremely welcoming. And it is always an exceptional value.

Clean rooms, good breakfast included, and pet friendly. Hema, the manager, is just the best! From Sarasota, FL to Mobile, AL, this is always our first-night's stop. Oh, and check out Marie Livingston's Steak house only 1 mile away. Super good dinner!

My family and I have been staying at this hotel for many years, each and every time we stay at this location it has only gotten better with time. The staff at this hotel have been around for a while, in my experience this has only resulted in an excellent customer service experience. The hotel has undergone numerous rennovations, so many to even account for and we keep coming back. There are so many great restaurants close to this hotel (Chuy's, BJ's, and Azu's) and its minutes away from downtown/FSU. The rooms are always exceptionally clean and the staff continually care and remember us. When in Tallahassee I only trust my family is safe and comfortable at the Best Western Downtown Tallahassee.

Found the hotel by accident as it isn't seen from the road. Was driving down to Fort Myers Beach and drove through Tallahassee. Needing somewhere to stay we saw the sign and called in. What a surprise, tucked away in a quiet area off the main road. The room was comfortable, clean and well stocked with what we wanted for a night. The breakfast was good with a choice of a hot or cold buffet breakfast. Nearby was a shopping area with a Mall with big named shops in. Would recommend this place for a stay

We ha used this location on many occasions and always is on par. Service is good as is the staff. The rooms face outside which is perfect as we don't have to offload the whole car. Clean rooms with a country like surrounding. Breakfast is good and ample

I have been taking business trips to Tallahassee for the past 4 years and I have stayed at just about every single hotel in town. Time and time again I return to the Best Western Downtown because it is great value, great rooms, and top notch staff. This property gets better every time I stay here, from improved amenities to the breakfast. Hands down the best property in downtown Tallahassee, I look forward to my next stay!

Mike, the owner is a very gracious host. We have stayed there in the past when we worked. Rooms were clean and all amenities were in place. We did not take advantage of pool or breakfast. Overall very satisfied.

This hotel is in need of a major renovation. The finishes have been updated somewhat recently, but the overall feel was old and tried. The service was meh. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Tallahassee.

Hotel is old with no elevator to 2nd floor. Guest room doors open to the outdoors. Unprofessional and unwelcoming staff. We paid a senior rate of $92 for 1 night. Our sink vanity & faucet had what appeared to be toothpaste & soap spatter that had not been cleaned from the previous guest. The A/C was not cooling adequately & the TV had wire connection issues. The breakfast was poor quality. The breakfast area was dirty. Kitchen staff were not cleaning the chairs & tables, nor replenishing the empty food containers for incoming guests, during the breakfast hours. We have stayed at many Best Western Hotels, some that take pride in their hotel and customer service, and some that do not. Unfortunately, this location needs a lot of improvement in every regard. We can not recommend this hotel.

This motel lacks frills, but the room was clean and recently painted, the bed was comfortable, the wifi is free and fast. The free breakfast had everything my family would want - scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, bagels, etc. Not the fanciest place I've ever stayed, but I'd definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have traveled cross country 3 times and we always stay at Best Western. In fact I would say that we are probably BWs most loyal guest. No matter what state we're in we always find Best Western even though there may be other motels closer and sometimes cheaper. We are always treated very nice by check in and check out people!! We always find the rooms in excellent shape and all electrical stuff in room works. We can always count on finding the type room we need with the stuff we need!!

Would stay again. Rates are outrageous for the rating however and my RetailMeNot discount couldn't be applied because this property does not participate in any discounts according to manager. My room had no toilet paper, tissues or towels but room was decent

We have been staying at this hotel since 2011. It has always been a terrific stay, the rooms are comfortable, modern, and most importantly clean! This hotel trains their housekeeping staff very well as we have never had any issues in all the years we have been staying here. The location and atmosphere is great, the staff is courteous and the managers Mike and Hema go above and beyond to accomodate us each and every time. We always encounter the same friendly staff and excellent customer service during each visit, consistency which is uncommon these days. Safe, secure, clean, and friendly to say the least, it is one of the many reasons we choose to stay at this wonderful hotel.

Room stunk of Urine, WiFi does not work. Staff too busy eating KFC to care. Staffs kids in main lobby eating dinner. Chemicals overused to cover up odors!! Requested a late check out for 12 noon and we were declined. Not a Handicap accessible hotel, not matter what they say. It is NOT!!! Try else where, not even the cheapest place.

The hotel is old and decor is dark and old. Air conditioning is via window units. Room was average. Staff was ok. Breakfast was ok. The whole experience was acceptable, but nothing to write home about. For the money I would choose a newer , brighter hotel the next time in Tallahassee. i would not spend the money for this room again.

This hotel is definitely one of the better stays I've had in Tallahassee. Great price and the amenities included were excellent. The rooms are brand new and very comfortable. It is located central to downtown Tallahassee so I had no problems getting to where I needed to go. The breakfast was an even better way to start the day. Will definitely be back here again on my next visit!!

Cleanliness was bad, staff at check in refused to call 911 for a girl that could possibly be dying at entrance until she was done checking me in. Really ??? talk about stupidity. I would highly recommend anyone never to stay here based on cleanliness. I only stayed because I was exhausted from driving all day and into the night and that every hotel room was fully booed due to a sporting event in that area.

We have stayed at some great Best Western properties but this was not one of them. We had stayed at BW Plus in Tallahassee and were so pleased! It was not available on our return trip so selected BW Downtown. We did not mind that it was older property but the inattention to the hotel and it's cleanliness was hard to overlook. The pool area provided a quiet respite from the hotel itself. The room decor was more than dated and dismal. It made you leery to touch much of anything. The labels on the shampoo and lotion bottles were torn, as if they were reused. The kicker was the cereal that was found under the bed when we were searching for a lost phone. The price should have been about half of what we were charged.

The staff at this hotel is very friendly, from checking in, to the breakfast staff, to checking out. Rooms are clean and comfortable and quiet. I never heard any of the other guest during my visit. Even though it is an exterior entrance hotel, I felt very safe and secure at this location.

The hotel was pricier than other hotels but I stayed there for convenience sake. Big mistake.There was genital hair in the tub and long black hair entangled in a bath towel. There were Band-Aids (thankfully still in a wrapper) on the armchair. The breakfast was just OK. The coffee was decent. The front staff was helpful, earning the couple of stars that I gave. Don't stay if you have other options.

I enjoyed our stay at Best Western , located in Downtown Tallahassee. The price was acceptable, free breakfast, nice hot coffee all the time. Clean, comfortable, a best of all the service offered is great. Ms. Gloria at the front desk is amazing. What a wonderful host. I recommend this hotel to all that visit Tallahassee. It is within 15 minutes to FSU, and closelly located to many dinning choices as well as shopping.

A last minute decision and saw this place on line . Traveling on a budget , the price was just within our reach. The lobby was stylish and the check in was really smooth unlike some of our experiences at other places. The parking lot was well lite and upon entering the room we saw this place is well taken care of .The TLC was evident. Nice clean room and the room was bigger then what we have stayed at. The breakfast was good with an attendant always replenishing supplies.

This was our second hotel we first stayed at Fairview Marriot, we check out due to lack of customer service we even paid more expecting a better quality, which did not receive. Best Western went well over my exspectations. Great for FSU or Capitol area visits. I've stayed several times, this hotel is set back from the road in a quiet, convenient location, with clean rooms, good breakfast and responsive staff. I recently had to cancel a reservation at the last minute - after the refund time - imagine my SURPRISE when I received a call the next day informing me I would still receive a refund because they were able to rent the room to someone else. Clean, quiet, safe location, and honest business practices - definitely will stay again and recommend others to do the same.

Room was clean check in went smoothly, even though we were really early checking in. Staff was always friendly and accomodating. Parking lot was bright and felt safe. Room smelled clean, and not of bleach, this was nice. We will definitely be staying here again.

I received a room for $70 more than others requesting the same room on the phone while I was checking in. To top it off, the room was not clean, and the air conditioning system left an odor and did not work properly. We both left with a migraine and we were overall very dissastified.

The Best Western brand continues to impress me. I am a Hilton Diamond member, but due to my normal go-to Hilton brand hotels being full, or due to increased rates, I have started looking for alternatives. This is the third Best Western hotel I've stayed at in the last two months for business travel and I have yet to be disappointed. This particular hotel was much less expensive than the Hilton chain hotels in town and provided a similar experience. The room was clean and had everything you would expect in the way of amenities. I stayed in a non-smoking room with a king sized bed and it was quite spacious. The hotel is off a main road, a five minute drive from downtown, but it is tucked away and I did not have any noise issues from traffic or other rooms. This property will be going near the top of my list for places to stay in Tallahassee in the future.

Visiting my daughter at College. Its OK for one night no more.. Very outdated Hotel. The room smell bad. AC was not working properly. We didn't have breakfast. We prefer a healthy option so we went to another place to have breakfast.

A "mistake" on my part led us to this quiet, classic hotel. It wasn't as close to the interstate as I first thought, but that proved to be a non-issue. While this hotel is an older style, all of the rooms have entrances from the outside, there are no indoor hallways, but the setting and the quiet far outweigh those concerns. This hotel is set back from the main road quite a bit. That and the Spanish moss covered trees really help to minimize any noise. I got a great night's sleep!! Very reasonably priced, clean. And did I mention...quiet? I we hadn't been on a schedule, I could've stayed here for several more days. It was very relaxing. The only negative that I can say about this hotel is that the laundry area (2 washers & 2 dryers) is also "outside". By that I mean the area is on the second floor in a breezeway. You will be shaded from any sun but the breeze/wind and flying insects (when in season) could still get at you. We did use the laundry facilities. The only real problem we encountered was that it took 2 cycles with the dryer to get our clothes properly dried.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Decided to change hotels from our usual game-day choice due to the location of this hotel, let me say that this was the best decision we have made. It was about 5 minutes from FSU campus and had several great restaurants close by which is a necessity. The hotel seemed recently renovated and the rooms were better than expected, very spacious, modern, and most importantly clean. Looking forward to our next stay during the FSU/Clemson game! The hotel staff was incredibly accommodating to us during our evacuation from Ponte Vedra Beach, FL during Hurricane Matthew. My wife and I were traveling with our dog -- and pet-friendly lodging was extremely hard to find. Thanks to a very diligent manager at the front desk, we were able to extend our reservation and we ended up staying four days until the coast was clear to go home. We greatly appreciated the clean room, friendly staff, full breakfast daily, and willingness to help us through a tough few days.

Chose this hotel due to a last minute decision to go to the FSU/UNC game. The rates were reasonable compared.to others hotels. For the most part, it's what you'd expect given the photos. My problem was with the bathroom. There was a dirty towel hanging on the door and the floor looked dirty. If I don't feel like my room has been properly cleaned, I can't get comfortable. Due to this stay, I have moved my family from our La Quinta hotel for the FSU/Clemson game. We are now at the Home2 Suites Tallahassee State Capital paying an outrageous rate!! Us fans just have to accept that our wallets will be robbed for accommodations during football season. It's a shame that hotels are allowed to charge insane "special event" rates.

I'm pretty sure you can do better if you're in Tallahassee. It's clean but run down like most Best Westerns I've been too. Bonus that it's walking distance to the mall, target and several restaurants.

The management took in 2 evacuees, with pets in our time of need. They worked to secure additional nights, as it was evident we could not return home as expected. Kudos to the housekeeping staff as well, Kim in particular!

We stayed 2 nights in a king suite. It was very clean and seemed newer. King suite has a small divider wall with no door separating the bed from the living area. Had 2 Tv's which was good for the kids. This room only had a shower no bath tub. Rooms seem well insulated or at least sound proof. I heard very little outside noise from the second floor (only a car alarm directly beneath us). Morning coffee was also good. The gym consisted of a treadmill, bike, and an elliptical. Had a cable machine with limited attachments and 5 dumbbells. I'd stay again.

I stayed here because I had Best Western points to use. Good location but you cannot walk to the main part of downtown. A number of restaurants are within walking distance, Plenty of shopping in the area, Target, supermarket, etc.. Not sure what the rate would have been if I had to pay but I believe it is inexpensive. The room I had was big for 2 people. Could easily handle 4. Plenty of parking.

The room took us back to the 80s, but not in a good way. The latest renovation was too far away, the room was really worn down. But wore was was the desinteresterd staff, at the counte and at the (also disappointing) breakfast.

The staff was courteous and friendly. It's evident that the manager, Hema, takes pride in her job and enjoys working with people. Wonderful breakfast and comfortable beds. We will definitely stay here in the future!

The hotel is clean and sits back off the highway. Great breakfast, eggs, biscuits, bacon , gravy, waffkes, syrup dounuts, muffins,bagels, yogurt, etc. The rooms are a good size with 42 inch tv, cable , microwave and refrigerator. Good location, close to local shopping and restaurants.

We stayed here for a night and was very pleased we did. This hotel is clean and comfortable...the grounds/lobby are well maintained. The staff was very professional and courteous. On a major road with plenty to do, shopping and restaurants...but tucked away. Almost can't see it from the road...so it was quiet. Check in was quick...our room was very clean and spacious (King Suite), we paid $99 through a travel site. Everything worked as it should have. The mattress could have been a bit more comfortable but that really depends on one's preference...everything was clean and seemed fresh. It was a good night sleep, I just prefer a softer mattress...where this one was not hard, just a little firmer for my taste; but not enough to hinder my sleep. In our room was a king bed, queen sofa bed and separate chair with ottoman. Large flat screen TV with about 35 channels, a dresser with 3 drawers, microwave and refrigerator...all worked well. Bathroom was clean and well stocked...and again, this room was very spacious. Larger than most in the same category, it seemed. The reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5 would be that I do prefer a softer mattress and it did appear that the pool was pretty small. Everything else for us, for this category and what we paid, was a 5 out of 5. The free breakfast was very nice. A large assortment of hot and cold items. The morning we were there, the hot included biscuits and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and sausage links. There was a waffle maker and assortment of cereals, pastries, fruit, cold juices, coffee, etc. It was all well stocked and fresh, plenty for a good start to your day. We got there about 7:30...open from 6:00-9:00. The room had about 8-9 tables, probably held about 25-30 people. We didn't use the pool but there was one at the entrance of the property...seemed clean...but pretty small. Overall, we were very pleased with this hotel and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone, we felt it was a very good value. The room we had would even be nice for an extended stay if need be. There's plenty to do to keep one busy within just a mile radius of this property.

I've traveled extensively and stayed in many hotels and motels, especially when I was running a non-profit foundation for one of the top 5 grossing rock bands internationally. My opinion is this is an average motel in need of an upgrade in the lobby and in the room in which I stayed. I've honestly racked my brain to come up with something that sets this motel apart from others, but I can't come up with anything, except maybe that the parking lot is spacious as a prior writer noted. That's about it. The primary reason I'm writing this review is because I experienced two different front desk clerks in action, and I believe these encounters are quite illustrative of how good customer service can make or break a guest's perspective of a lodging facility. Fleeing my coastal home, which was about to be hit by Hurricane Hermine, I wound up at this Best Western the day before HH made landfall. I made a reservation via a third party provider and arrived at the hotel a few minutes later. The desk clerk told me the motel's internet was down and therefore she could not access my reservation and check me in. She guesstimated the internet would be back up in about 20 to 30 minutes. I offered to sit in the lobby and wait, and did so while reading a newspaper. After about 20 minutes with the repairman obviously not close to success (we could hear his end of the phone conversation, which indicated exasperation), the clerk told me she would take my name and information and call me to come down to the lobby later when the internet was back up. I showed her a screenshot of the reservation I had made on my cell phone, and she gave me a key. Off I went to my room. On Friday, post striking of the hurricane during the early hours of Friday morning, the Best Western was advertising on the same third party site as having vacancies. There was a lot of confusion in town as to which lodgings had power and which did not. Because the Best Western was advertising vacancies with no notation that there was no power, as had some of the websites of other hotels in town, I gambled--as did a number of others--that the Best Western had power. Wrong. But here's where the difference between good customer service and the opposite of that comes into play. When I arrived at the hotel I explained that I had a friend fighting cancer who was sweltering in her home, and I wanted to get her into a motel/hotel. The BW desk clerk, not the same one from Wednesday, told me there was no power. She said the City had told her that it was restoring power just up the busy thoroughfare on which the BW is located, and it could be a half an hour, could be longer, before power was restored. I said that was OK, we saw there was a pool, and we would be glad to use that and wait, anything had to be better than my friend's stifling house. The desk clerk explained she could not check us in because there was no power. I told her what the other desk clerk had done the prior Wednesday regarding taking my name and information and working out the details at the computer later. I showed her a screenshot to prove I had made a reservation. This clerk then said she could not do that, and anyone who had made a reservation within the last day could not be accommodated. Meanwhile, while she was explaining this, she came from behind the desk and sat on the lobby couch. I understand that it was hot in the lobby, but she acted as if I, and the other guests arriving with newly made reservations, were an inconvenience. She questioned why I would want to stay there if I were in search of a cooled place. The condescension dripped out of every pore, and she began speaking to me in a very slow manner, as if I were an idiot. I decided to cancel the reservation and look elsewhere. She told me I would need to speak to the third party provider to do that. So I called them. The third party representative was not very helpful either. He wanted to talk to the desk clerk to confirm cancellation, so back in I traipsed so the clerk could do so on my phone. The two of them then got into an argument over whether she was truly refusing to check me in, and what would happen to the commission. So, I'm standing there, as are several other guests, in a sweltering lobby, while the clerk is having it out with the person on the phone. She was telling him she knew the conversation was being recorded, and she wanted a copy to prove that she was NOT going to agree to cancel my reservation, because she did not want BW to have to pay the commission. So essentially, I am standing in this sauna of a lobby with other guests, while this clerk is in an argument with this third party representative, and telling him she is NOT going to check me in but she is NOT going to agree to cancel my reservation, either. I took my phone back. The third party on the phone told me the clerk was acting "very aggressively" toward him, as if I couldn't tell that on my own. He then, unbelievably, told me that I would "probably" get a refund. I told him, that's not good enough for me. I made the reservation which was advertised as a vacancy, I paid for it, I presented myself at the motel ready to check in, and the motel was refusing to check me in and would and could not say when I could be checked in. I felt like I'd entered the Twilight Zone. I asked to speak to a supervisor but after being on hold for 20 minutes hung up. Thankfully a supervisor did call back and stated I would receive a full refund because there was a clause in the contract stating that all reservations made during a natural disaster would be automatically cancelled and refunded. I fully understand things were hectic due to the hurricane but that is no excuse for an employee's rude behavior. Attitude in a situation like this makes all the difference in the world. The clerk should simply have stated her apologies for the vacancy being published in error because the motel was not taking in any new guests due to the power outage, and she should have asked if she could assist me with finding a new lodging or cancelling my reservation at the Best Western. She did none of that. Instead, she came out from behind the desk, sat on the sofa, she had family members listening in and at times interrupting, and she spoke to me (and at least two other guests who arrived to check in) in a condescending manner. That is unacceptable behavior. Except for this clerk's behavior, this motel is an OK mid-price-range facility. I wound up at the Red Roof Inn the following day (we spent Saturday night in my friend's sweltering home because by the time I got done with the Best Western all of the other motels and hotels in the area that did have vacancies were snatched up that fast). The RRI was, surprisingly, replete with nice upgrades, unlike the BW they do not charge a pet fee, and they were $30 less per night.

I spent 5 days at this place deuring my training at DOT . The staff went over and beyond in every possible way and were always redy with a smile . The room was very clean with a above average size TV. Wedid have breakfast which was free and good

This is a nice best western with outdoor corridors. The person at the front counter was very nice and accommodating. They pool looked nice but I didn't get to try it. I had an early flight so I couldn't try the breakfast. I would recommend this hotel.

Great Hotel For FSU College visits & Football games. Close to campus, mall & restaurants. Clean & Love having separate space with a couch to relax. Good Breakfast with lots of hot & cold choices. Very large rooms.

This hotel was fantastic and a minimal distance to FSU campus. I moved my son into his dorm recently and found this hotel through Costco travel and after checking in I was thoroughly surprised of how big the room was. There's also a Target directly next store as well as one of my favorite restaurants, Jasons Deli across the street. Although there was no Gym on hotel site the hotel gives you a voucher to stay at the YMCA which was great. I went both days and it was no inconvenience whats so ever.

We stayed here to explore the forest and travel to the gulf coast areas. The hotel is ideally situated for this & 10 mins to the out skirts of Tallahassee. The hotel itself is very clean, tidy, well maintained, with adequate parking. The staff are some of the best we've met. Nothing was to much trouble, friendly and welcoming. There's coffee available all hours. The breakfast is a very good quality. Our room was very spacious, clean, everything there and working. The air con was quiet and worked great. Definitely value for money.

Clean....but a bit overuse of coverup spray......close to Florida State for student check in. We like two other motels we have used better. Home2home and Comfort Inn. Both are nearby here. Close to many restaurants.

Second time I stayed here, this time my wife was with me who is picky about hotels. Again greeted with a clean comfortable room, bed and pillows are comfortable. I needed to make a last minute change and they were very accomodating. Also both times checking out I met the owner, which is nice to see on premises.

Great value at a reasonable price with a good location in Tallahassee, FL. The first time I stayed in this motel it was very dated inside and outside. Now after they renovated this motel is beautiful with new carpet, bedding, etc.

Coming from downtown on Apalachee, the motel is a little difficult to get into. You must make a U-turn, then drive back to the motel. It has outside rooms. The parking spaces are large which is appreciated for unpacking and loading next to another car. The rooms are large, as well, and clean, with a dividing half-wall designating a sitting area with a sofa and upholstered chair with footstool in the king rooms. There is a desk and chair and a bench for your suitcase. The room has outlets in all of the light fixtures, convenient for charging. The refrigerator was larger than usually found in rooms. It was large enough to hold Styrofoam containers with leftovers from area restaurants. There is the usual microwave, coffee pot, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer as well as free WiFi. The toilet in the bathroom was higher than normal (handicap, although not a handicap room – much appreciated for tall travelers), with grab bars at the toilet and in the shower. The tub had an anti-slip surface. There was a full-length mirror and a large LG flat screen TV. The bed was firm, but comfortable. The hot breakfast is served 6:00 – 9:00. I wish they would extend that to 10:00 since we usually travel for leisure. There were scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, waffles, pastries, cereal, bagels, fruit and yogurt. It is in a central location and close to town, but I don't know why it is called “Tallahassee-Downtown.” I do not consider the location downtown. I will say that this will be our new “go to” motel when visiting Tallahassee. For the money, you cannot beat it.

The room, hotel and pool were clean. The staff were friendly, the furniture was fine. This hotel isn't anything special but I had a comfortable stay and a great sleep. I visited while on a business trip.

The hotel stay was average. There was a strong smell of cigarette emitting through the walls. The room was average. The furniture was old. The breakfast was good overall. There was a variety and the food was decent. The location was ideal. It was close to Downtown and other major roads.

Hotel was off the main highway, not a lot of traffic noise, so it was quiet. It was in a good part of town with easy access to good restaurants nearby. Beds comfy, pool small but clean, and breakfast was great. Enjoyed our one night of rest here.

as always, hotel was excellent value for cost and one of the few hotels in the area with wired internet access, a necessity for me. i will stay here again and recommend to others as it is convenient to everything

I apologize for not remembering all the staffs names that I met but Gloria at the front desk was a super good host, fun , kind and the kind of person that keeps me coming back to Best Western for most of my hotel stays. Room was very clean and comfortable, really nice beds and linens, Kudos to housekeeping. breakfast was a continental style with plenty to offer to get the day started right. Hope to visit this hotel again . They treat you right!

We were greeted with a sincere welcome upon arrival. We interacted with several front desk personnel and the service was consistent. There was an oversight on the microwave in our room not being cleaned on the outside and rusted on the inside. We only used it once so I didn't remember to mention it to the front desk clerk.

The hotel location was convenient to highway and to local amenities including mall and some good restaurants within walking distance. Hotel was very quiet and front desk staff very pleasant and helpful with suggestions for nearby dining that was better than just fast food places which were also conveniently close by.

Stayed here as on a quick business trip and wanted a decent place to stay. The property looked well maintained and clean> the room assigned tome was very big and well furnished.The bathroom was newly done. The breakfast was good and the checkout was painless

It's was clean, morning staff was very friendly. Only problem was the ac didn't get below 80, since we didn't get there till 1am I didn't have energy to complain so we just dealt with it. I did report the next morning so they could fix before next person. Breakfast was average

My son and stayed here overnight prior to touring FSU. I am grateful for the GPS. Otherwise I probably would have driven right by the property. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was clean. The property met all our needs and surpassed my expectation. As for the breakfast in the morning, it is probably great for the majority of people. Unfortunately my son and I are both gluten free so the only choice available would have been scrambled eggs and bacon. My son is not a fan of scrambled eggs and bacon alone is not a breakfast. For a short stay I think this is a great option and if I am in the area, I would not hesitate to book again.

I did not really want to stay downtown but this hotel caught my eye with a good price so we took a chance and reserved. It is set way back from the Apalachee Parkway so go slow and look for the sign. Our check in was delayed due to a customer having a problem with her reservation and a previous stay complaint or something, who knows. Once she was finished our time at the front desk was friendly, short and professional. We got room 238 which was huge, clean and had a nice layout. The AC unit worked perfectly and even had a window curtain restraining device to keep the curtain away from the air flow. Other hotels: take notice and install these restraints! The bath area was clean as well and everything functioned as it should. The bed was very comfortable and we had a pleasant night's sleep. Breakfast was standard fare but there was plenty of it and we were happy with our morning meal. They could use more tables in the dining area however. Our checkout was fast and friendly and we left with a good feeling of having spent the night in a reasonably priced, large and clean room. What more can travelers ask for?

Room had odor. Apparent that room hadn't undergone thorough cleaning before my visit (fingerprint smudges everywhere, stained carpet, tissue left on floor), although room was not filthy. Good location, lots of parking.

This Best Western is really quiet and secluded. It's nicely done up and has hot breakfast. Pool is nice and plenty of land for the dog to run. The parking lot has tons of spaces and it's convenient to the shopping mall, movie theaters and food. Would recommend.

I have stayed at the best Western on Apalachee parkway in Tallahassee Fl. For more than 10 days since may 1 2016 and its all because of Mike Parmar and his wonderful staff and beautiful hotel. IHOP has nothing on the breakfast here at BW and you can not beat the price the rooms are as classy as a $150 a night hotel.

What an absolutely WONDERFUL motel! Clean parking lot, entry and rooms! Polite, welcoming staff who smile and go the "extra mile." I missed breakfast, but the manager got me fresh coffee to go and asked if he could get me something from the kitchen. As I left, there was a young man cleaning the outside doors of rooms and the building. I complimented him on his work. It is because of the dedication of workers like this that makes a motel a HOME away from HOME! Wish I could give 10 stars. Highly recommend to all. Rooms are nicely decorated, large screen TV, bed is comfortable, air conditioning works, and plenty of towels. Pets are also welcome. Dr. Cookie --

I would not stay at this Best Western again. I stay in Tallahassee for business a couple of times a year. I would not book with this hotel again. Beds not so comfortable. Room not so clean. However, the staff was nice.

The appearance of the hotel was nice enough and the check-in process went smoothly. However, upon entering the room we encountered a horrible, overwhelming smell of mildew. While the room appeared clean the smell certainly made it seem nasty. I will not stay at this location again. Take your Lysol spray if you plan to stay.

We only stayed one night, but from the moment we asked if they had a room both Mike and his partner couldn't have been more helpful. That was the first impression and it continued with help over wifi and printing. Second impression was that the lobby, breakfast room and our own room were clean, tidy and well looked after, showing to me a management that took pride in its hotel and was keen to look after their guests.

Booked this location as a resting place while we moved our daughter into college. Overall it is a nice place and reasonably affordable. Getting straight to the point, room was pretty clean and gets very cold which helps get a good nights sleep. Shower water is very HOT with excellent pressure. Has a mini fridge, microwave, iron board, large TV about 42', coffee table, desk, love seat in a separate area of the room, and free wifi! Continental breakfast daily which is plentiful and filling with a wide selection. The reasons for 3 stars is the fridge in our room did not get cold so putting drinks or food in there was a waste of time. It also gets very loud at night which was annoying. Finally the toilet backed up on us constantly. I cleared it with a plunger multiple times. Overall I'd stay there again despite these few quirks aside. Management and hospitality team was friendly as well. We paid about $85 per night, had we booked a daily earlier we would've paid $75. They did allow us to use AAA rates which helped. Book early and you will be fine.

I booked last minute! The owner was so kind and the room was great!! The breakfast was AMAZING!! We loved it so much we stayed another night. There was great service from ALL employees very helpful and gracious!! I needed a room not terribly expensive and comfortable. My new husband and I are smokers and they could even accommodate that! This is a great place to stay, If I could I would give 10 stars. Mike is a wonderful person and bends over backwards to be a great host!!!

Stayed at this site for three nights which was overall a very nice stay. The breakfast was wonderful and with many options, an essential when traveling with a large family! The entire hotel facility was well kept and Gloria as well as the other staff made us feel welcome. I was shocked but delighted to receive an early check in as well as a free upgrade, check out was an even more enjoyable experience. Restaurants near by were of no issue, a Chuy's and BJ's brew house close by the hotel. Look forward to our next stay at the Best Western Downtown!

We went with the king "suite"...it was a bit bigger than a regular room but no really a suite. Nevertheless, the room was clean and bright...the flooring was nice...the price was right. The room had a fridge and microwave and the breakfast was not bad...overall very good value and not creepy.

This was a last minute booking due to an approaching Tropical Storm. Staff was very helpful at check in with food delivery options and a menu! Check out was quick and friendly. Would recommend this hotel.

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. Staff was very professional and helpful. The room was a good size with an even better layout of many modern hotels! Having a refrigerator, microwave, and seating area was also wonderful. Breakfast was better than the other area hotels I had previously stayed at. It included everything from fresh fruits, waffles, yogurts, pastries, eggs (real eggs!), as well as hot gravy/biscuits. The breakfast attendant was a nice touch to ensure the full customer experience, something many places I have stayed lacked. The pool was clean and made for a very enjoyable day soaking up the Florida sun. Will be back! Thank you

Our first impression about this hotel was terrible: we got at the hotel and there was a group of men hanging out in the middle of catwalk, drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana with chairs blocking the passage. My husband showed what was going on on the surveillance video and the lady in the front desk went to talk to them and they went inside their room. On my way to my room, my son and I saw two guys on the side of the hotel doing a suspicious transaction. Pros: room was clean, breakfast was good and plenty, location was good.

Very good experience. Just off the main road. Comfy room, Quiet, well appointed, clean (I am picky). Competent and welcoming staff. I would come back to this hotel if I was in the Tallahassee area again. Would very much recommend staying here as mine was nothing short of terrific!

The hotel room was clean. The breakfast has hot items like scrambled eggs, sausage and biscuits. You also can have bagels, waffles, cereal, yogurt and fruit. We will be staying here again. The hotel is kind of hard to find. There is a small road that you can easily miss. Clue: Hotel is next to Kohl's.

Our overnight stay was very good. It was very quiet and the employees were very helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay at this location again. We would give this a definite excellent rating as the beds were comfortable and room was very clean.

We stayed in this Hotel the night before we were to move into our new home. Breakfast was good. However, it needed to be re-stocked more often. Pet friendly for a $20 fee. Located in the city but very quiet.

We were here several years ago and it was just an okay stay. This time, we were more than happy. We stayed at the back of the hotel which was shady and quiet. Our room was clean, good-sized, and comfortable. There are outside entrances which you can park right in front of. Old type of motel layout but it works. We had a great internet connection. Breakfast was quite good, too. There's a BJ's Brewery very close for eating. The only negative is that it's so far off the interstate if you are just traveling through. But we're coming back in June to do some geocaching and will definitely be staying here again. Great rates, too!

Comfortable clean room with fridge and microwave. Decent breakfast with a lot of choices including three types of fresh fruits along with hot eggs, sausages etc. We were pleasantly greeted by a young lady (Caretha)?? wearing a chefs outfit. Clean. Friendly Staff. Close to many restaurants in the area including a Chuy's! Hot coffee in the lobby. Wide selection of TV channels. Lots of electrical outlets in the room which is becoming increasingly difficult to find in most modern hotels and I would say overall the stay was a good value. Highly recommended

My husband and I stayed here for over a week. It was very clean and the owners were very friendly. They have just finished remodeling and it is very nice. It was a last minute find. In a great area, in between Kohls and Target. Will stay there any time we are in Tallahassee.

After reading reviews we decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed! We were pleasantly surprised when we opened the door to the room. It was clean and nicely furnished. Our daughter liked having the half-wall at the sofa bed for a little bit of privacy. The hot breakfast was a plus and we enjoyed the pool as well. This property is very close to downtown, many restaurants, Target, drug stores, and many other kinds of shops. This was our first trip to Tallahassee and the next time we come we still stay here again!

My son and I stayed at the Best Western Pride Inn & Suites in Tallahassee while we were waiting for our RV to be moved to a new location. I can say that this is a very nice motel and that the staff, everyone from the housekeepers to the General Manager, Mike Parmar, were just as nice as they could be. They made our stay very enjoyable. The room was very comfortable and very clean. The housekeeping service was excellent. I liked everything about this place and would recommend it to anyone. It is centrally located and close to lots of restaurants and shopping.

Stayed here last minute to bring my daughter home from FSU. Greeted with clean room, comfortable beds and pillows. Wifi worked fine but the front desk wrote down the wrong password but a quick call to the front desk fixed that.would stay again

We stayed here in order to attend some FSU baseball games over a weekend. Everyone was super nice and professional. Our room was spacious, clean, and a comfortable bed. The King room also had a couch, coffee table, and desk/chair. We didn't have breakfast so I cannot comment on that, but everything else was great. And the TV was the biggest one we've seen in a best western yet! Shopping mall is huge close by and it's not far from anything you want to do downtown and FSU. I highly recommend and will stay here again in the future if we travel back to town.

I was very pleased that I was going to be able to give this particular Best Western an enthusiastic high rating and then I encountered their internet access. If my internet weren't working well everywhere else, I'd wonder if it was my computer but not so. It's most definitely the hotel. But more on that in a moment since internet is not the most important thing to everyone. I came here on business, a one night stay here before booking into my client's chosen hotel. My first reaction was, “Why can't I just stay here. It's cheaper, it's not much further, and I like this.” This hotel sits a little off the road, just far enough that there's no road noise at all despite the address being on a major highway (US27). It's set in a wooded area, plenty of shade, and very inviting. During my stay here, I felt safe as to my person and car. Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly lady at the front desk who covered all the bases and directed me to my room which was easy to find. The reservation was in order. There is a note about a $5 key charge but I didn't see it on my final bill so I don't know how that's handled. When I got to my room I found the usual Florida thing – the air conditioning was turned off and the curtains open, letting the sun in so the room was quite warm. And the a/c does not run continually; it turns itself off and on so that could be an annoyance during sleep except for my white noise fan. It took a while to get the room comfortable and during the day it never did get really cool. It finally got acceptably cool about midnight. But the room seemed to be spotlessly clean, the paint was in good order, as were the carpets. A few defects but nothing to make it appear poorly maintained. There was plenty of space in the room since I had a king bed and a couch. It would have been a little tighter if there were two queen beds. There was not a whole lot of space to hang clothes. For me, traveling for business and bringing suits and shirts and pants for a few days and nights, it was moderately full. If I had my partner with me it might have been crowded. But they did provide a rack for the suitcase, which is getting rare, and there was plenty of desk and table and dresser space for everything. Ironing board and iron were provided, and a coffeemaker. There is no refrigerator or microwave. There is no overhead light – meaning that the room lacks the harsh light of many rooms - but there were six lamps and with them all turned on, the room was quite nicely lit and inviting. One thing that I noted early: there is plenty of outlet space scattered all around the room, desk, side tables, sofa… everywhere. No matter where you were, you could plug in computer, phone, whatever and have all at hand. Excellent!! The bathroom was clean, and the vanity is separated from the shower area. Water pressure was adequate but no more. I was on the back side of the first floor and I hope second floor pressure is not any worse. The usual simple amenities were provided. Ah but the internet… they give you a note at the beginning and tell you, “if you have any trouble,” and the note tells you that to get online you have to reset your router. Well, they aren't kidding. You have to reset it a lot. It kept shutting down as I was using the internet – over and over again – on the average of once every 5 minutes or less. Sometimes it would recover on its own, sometimes I'd have to reset my router (which the note tells you to do) and then it would come back up. I've never met a system before that required you to reset “your” router to log in, much less continually reset it. This was, needless to say, more than an annoyance. There were spaces of time where the net would be up for as long as 10 minutes or so and then crash again. My diagnostic affirmed that it was in their access point, not in my computer, which I knew already. The rating for quality of signal was never more than “poor” as diagnosed by the computer, never more than 2 bars. They really need to give this some attention. For a person with the acute need for internet access that I have, this is enough for me to say, “Never again…” And I really liked this place otherwise and would be my hotel of choice when I visit the area. Just for the record, my client had booked me into a different hotel the next evening so I changed. In the new hotel, I had no problems at all, which indicates that the problem was not in my computer or router, which my diagnostic specifically stated, “Your computer seems to be configured and operating normally, check the endpoint router.” So if you are in a position where internet access is not critical for you, then I can unreservedly recommend this hotel. I do not grade hotels on an absolute standard. I know what a five-star hotel is and I don't expect a small, budget hotel to perform at that standard. I expect them to be safe, clean, comfortable, with good water pressure, and good internet. This hotel meets and even exceeds all expectations except as to the internet access which is unacceptable. I will not stay here again unless I read that there are improvements.

The Best Westerns I stayed at in Tallahassee are weel kept and priced well. I have a student at Florida State University and there are two best westerns I use depending on occupancy. Very satisfied with both.

Clean and comfortable. Close to restaurants and shopping. Full hot breakfast was included, a very nice touch might I add. Nice walking area along the street towards the town mall. Entrance to the hotel was a bit tricky since it is off the main road unlike a few other hotels on the same street. It is also a benefit since the hotel was not noisy at all since it was set away off the main road. I recommend using the Kohls parking lot to enter as there is an access road directly into the hotel. The front desk staff was excellent and knew what they were doing since we stay at Best Western's quite often, housekeeping does a great job in making sure the rooms were clean as it passed my usual room inspections! Will be back!

Chose this hotel randomly online and so glad we did! Yes the building is older but made of concrete so the nights sleep was absolutely silent. The rooms are very clean and seemed to be newly decorated. The staff, from housekeeping to front desk were very friendly, welcoming, and courteous which is why we stay with Best Western. We booked the room on the ground level and that is exactly what we received. Let me also add that it is very pleasant being greeted by the front desk manager in the morning instead of a front desk clerk, you can really tell they like to check guests out early in the morning so they can interact and find ways to make the stay even more enjoyable. An extra effort which is lost on may hotels we stay at. Added bonus is being that this hotel is right across the street from the mall and Kohls as well as many dining/entertainment nearby. Tallahassee has Uber which made it very easy for us to get around without having to drive. We will definitely return, only regret is that our 3 night stay in the states capital was far too short!

The room was spacious. No complaints there. We slept late so we missed breakfast. Nice location, very quiet. The young lady at the front desk working the evening shift on 4/23 was not friendly at all!! She had a permanent frown on her face & looked as though we were inconveniencing her by requesting a room. She DOES NOT need to be the first employee a potential customer comes in contact with. Her attitude alone can give this establishment a bad rep. I will say the lady at the front desk the following morning was friendly & courteous.

Very clean, very large rooms with a couch in them. Good WIFI and well located. Good breakfast. Biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and waffles all included! Would definitely stay again. Good ice machine which is a plus too!

Disappointed with the condition of the pet-friendly motel on I-10 that we've usually stayed at in Tallahassee we decided to try this Best Western and it turned out to be a very good decision, The facility is set back from the road and is very quiet. Our room, which had a microwave and refrigerator, was surprisingly large and a low wall separated the couch and easy chair from the king size bed. The room was pleasantly decorated, clean and well-maintained, The free breakfast was one of the best we've experienced in properties in this price range. For I-10 travelers the location isn't ideal, since it's a ways away from the interstate, but for us the quality of the facility more than made up for the additional travel time.

Having stayed here once, I would happily do so again. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are very nice and clean. Breakfast is breakfast, but organized and professional served. The area around the hotel seemed a bit busy and we didn't require any restaurants during our stay however the front desk is knowledgeable if any recommendations are needed

With three grandchildren on travel soccer teams, we spend a great deal of time in hotels. Best Western has become our preferred choice. They have a great rewards program and we have had only one bad experience. The experience we had at this hotel was excellent. We had stayed here previously and decided to return. We also recommended it to other members of the soccer team and they stayed here as well. The location to the soccer fields are convenient. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, well furnished, and the beds were very comfortable. The wifi worked great. The room was furnished with a microwave, refrigerator and an updated TV. It is close to shopping centers, downtown Tallahassee, and places to eat. The best draw is the reasonable, affordable price. We will definitely plan to stay here if our soccer travels bring us back to the area.

This was truely an exeptianal experiance . The hotel is clean and very centraly locatated. The breakfast is free and was better then have had swankier hotels were we had to pay. The stakk is always ready with a smile

A nice, quiet and clean place to stay while visiting FSU for preview day. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is one of the best we have had. It includes HOT food (scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy). We had fun using the waffle machine too. Lots of other food like cereal, fruit and yogurt was also offered. We will be back.

Chirlene is simply amazing! Very friendly, and makes sure everything is professionally set up each morning we were at breakfast. Loved the food there and looked forward to a great start to the day after. The room was clean and I enjoyed the HDTV as well. The staff at the front desk were friendly and Best Western always makes me feel like a valued guest. The staff overall created a comfortable environment for all the guests I saw, the hotel provided 24 hour complimentary coffee which was a nice touch. The Pride Inn will be our go to hotel next time we are in Tallahassee!

The rooms are large and well maintained. Fresh paint, new carpet, and perfectly furnished. The room was thoroughly cleaned when I checked-in. The staff is friendly and the complimentary breakfast was nice and filling. Best accommodations in Tallahassee.

This BW is about 15 minutes off the freeway, but absolutely worth it! The hotel is tucked away from the main street, along the side of the shopping mall. Lovely setting, with big trees surrounding it. The lobby area was redone recently and is charming. The check in clerk was very nice. I got a room on the second floor facing the small neighborhood. These rooms are truly suites. Very big room! My room had a king size bed so there was plenty of room. There is a sitting area when you enter the room with a wall separating the sleeping area. The room has microwave, mini-fridge, small coffee maker, flat screen TV, Good wifi, shower over tub, separate sink area, ironing board, phone, plenty of lighting, and a desk with a task chair. The room was pleasantly decorated, probably recent. Bed was extremely comfortable and had feather pillows. This was one of the best nights sleep I have had in AGES! I was sorry it was only for one night. The breakfast buffet they serve in the morning was very good with all the usual - scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hot biscuits and gravy, bagles, muffins, sweet rolls, cereal, fruit, yogurt, waffles, juice, coffee, tea, all the usual stuff but nicely done in their own dining room. All the public areas are very large as are the rooms. There is a nice pool (no jacuzzi though) to the front of the hotel. Plenty of parking. Only drawback is there is no elevator. They do have vending machines for soda and snacks, and both levels have a laundry area $1.00 wash. (didn't notice price for dryer) You won't go wrong with a stay here! There are plenty of restaurants close by.

Had to take a state exam at the Bob Martinez center . Drove up the night before arrived later in the evening someone was there to check me right in,took 2 minutes . Room was nice, clean and quiet great room for the price.

The pillowcases and sheets seemed in need of change as they smelled weird. The pillows were square and uncomfortable. However the room was reasonably clean and the free breakfast was excellent! The hotel is a little far from the highway and there were some guests hanging around outside the rooms making a lot of noise. This made for an average stay.

A guide with good manners and ok English , but speaking too much too fast , ok English speaking .. But desperate to please , and going over ....driving ok , but fast , bla bla bla , all the way ....pretentious ok a food catch...

I stayed here twice recently on business and found it to be adequate, some aspects even more than adequate. The room was ok. The room I had the first week was very nice and had no real issues. The second week the room was showing signs of use and needed some maintenance. Breakfast area was a bit small but had a nice select of typical hotel breakfast fare. Exterior corridors-need I say more. One thing that really bothered me is that housekeeping would open the curtains that I had closed. I had my personal effects and my laptop there and didn't want all my business available to anyone who walked by and looked in. The grounds were well maintained and it's apparent that they are trying. The parking area is small and entrance and egress is a bit weird. All in all it was a nice stay and if stay there again if I'm in the area again.

Good size room that was clean, situated near shopping restaurants and FSU and Capitol area. Coffee was good and continental breakfast was fine. Reasonably priced. Pool area are was small but didn't use it. It was more then adequate for our purposes. Would use again.

We stayed here just the one night while visiting the area. The room was clean and convertible. We got a King bed suite on the ground floor. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was really above average. They had various fruit, scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, cereals, yogurt, orange juice, cranberry juice etc. Free wifi in the room. Free coffee in room and in the lobby.

I stayed at this property for one night on a return leg of a business trip. The hotel is located down a driveway a little off of Apalachee Pkwy, but there is good signage to find the property. I was a very late check-in, and was checked in by a non-uniformed, non badged clerk with no issues. When I got to the room (first floor exterior king) parking access was fine, right outside the room door. Entering the room I was greeted with a 1970's era hotel room that had been renovated a few times. The room was generally in good order from a 5-second visual inspection. Flat screen TV, comfortable bed, heat in good working order (it was a cold night in Tally). However... after the cursory inspection is where I started discovering problems, all of which included dirty sheets, dirty pillowcases, other people's hair in the tub, a dirty toilet seat with encrusted fecal matter, very dirty carpet in the area of the nightstands with dust bunnies all over, peeling paint, stained towels and washcloths, noticeable wear on all the furnishings, and a funky odor. I actually lifted the mattress to check for bedbugs after what I found. The hot water in the morning had good temperature and pressure, however the shower nozzle was not properly secured to the shower arm and came unscrewed trying to change the spray mode on the shower head, probably the lime and scale on the head contributed to the hard turn of the nozzle. Towels were older but absorbed well and weren't like sandpaper. The housekeeper that prepared the room and the executive housekeeper that inspected and released the room for occupancy should both be terminated. The ONLY reason that I didn't immediately check out and request a refund was that it was close to 4 AM when I checked in after driving all night, and I just didn't feel like looking for another hotel at that hour of the morning. The property offered complementary breakfast from 6 to 9 AM, but I didn't have an opportunity to try it. On checkout I did have a brief opportunity to look around the grounds and it was apparent the management was trying to take good care of the property, the office area was nice and tidy and the outdoors areas were well manicured and visually appealing. Take care of the housekeeping, maintenance and linen issues and this property would be a good bargain. As it was I felt uneasy at best due to the poor, poor cleanliness, not a memorable stay by any means. Best Western properties usually perform better on quality control, this stay was just plain disappointing to me compared to normal Best Western maintenance and housekeeping practices from other properties I've stayed at in the recent past. These owners really need to get their act together.

Very nice hotel. Clean rooms, nice employees, great location and a free hot breakfast. Can't go wrong. Stayed here for business and it met everything that I need in a business hotel. Will stay here again on all my business stays. No issues at all and no theatrics in check in and check out. Don't mind staying here again

I have stayed here 2x . The first time I called to reserve a room. The second time I booked this hotel on a discount site. The price for the room on the second stay was significantly less than what it was when Is stayed the first time. ( so I highly suggest a person thinking of staying here, book the room on a discount site). The room is large and clean. There is a huge high Def TV with lots of channels. The bathroom is clean and there is plenty of hot water . The bed and pillow were very comfortable. The area is convenient to everything and safe. My only complaint is the classless sign in the room, that's lists prices of room items, if they were to go missing.

This is the most awesome hotel I've ever stayed in. It was so comfortable and cozy and clean. It was like my home away from home. I will always stay in this hotel when traveling through Tallahassee!!! It's a little off the interstate about 5 miles but well worth it. The staff is so friendly and helpful. But kudos to the housekeepers. And the price is so phenomenal. It gives senior and AARP discounts!!!! I slept like a baby in that king-size comfortable bed!!!!! Thanks to trip advisor I found this while on the interstate very tired after driving for hours!

This is an exterior entrance hotel. I was not expecting it to be very nice. Upon check in I was greeted by a very friendly and professional clerk. When I got to my room I was very surprised on how nice the room was. It was spacious and clean. I checked out when I ate breakfast and told the check out clerk I would be working in my room for a while. She stated no issue, take my time. Not pressuring me to leave by the 11:00 check out time. When I return to this area, I will stay at this hotel again.

Had a nice stay at this hotel. The staff was so friendly and warm, the rooms were clean and very spacious. There was plenty of room for my dogs and it was great to have a microwave and fridge and coffee maker. The hot breakfast was very nice but the eggs were not good, they were very over cooked. For the price I would say this is an excellent place to stay. It is also in a great location, close to everything. I would recommend this hotel and we plan to go back again.

This was a great place to stay for a short business/fun trip. They are very dog friendly and my room had plenty of room to accommodate both my dogs. The breakfast in the morning was good but the eggs are very overdone but it's a popular breakfast so get there early. The staff is very nice and the room was clean and well stocked. Very helpful to have a microwave and a fridge and a coffee maker. We would stay here again for sure.

This is a basic Best Western with outdoor access to rooms. Our experience was very positive. The staff was friendly, professional, and helpful. We stayed for two days and had no problems. The room was large, clean and had a fridge and microwave. There was also a coffee maker (we don't drink coffee so I often don't mention this.) For the price this is an excellent place to stay. In two weeks, we will be back in Tallahassee and plan to stay at this motel again. We had friends that stayed at this motel as well. They said their rooms were also clean and worth the price. The breakfast was adequate. The juice machine was out of order but there were small bottles of juice available. The biscuits and sausage gravy was good. There were eggs and sausage, waffle make, cereal, and pastries. Fruit was also available. Great places to eat around the property and places to shop.

The hotel has a very friendly staff, clean rooms and a decent breakfast . Even though the juice machine was on the blink during our stay, they had small bottles of assorted Welches juice. The property is not new but is newly renovated with very tastefully decorated rooms and the exterior was also well maintained.The mall is within walking distance and there are several good eating places nearby.There is also a KOHLS right next door.

I booked this hotel before I read all of the reviews. I saw some people's pictures of moldy bathrooms and underwear in drawers and began thinking 'Boy did I mess up!". I was in town for a show at FSU and didn't want to spend a ton of $$ just for a place to sleep. Arrived at the hotel, checked in and was pleasantly pleased. Room was clean and comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast bar was great. This place is close to many restaurants and the mall is right down the road. All in all... I's stay there again!

We were put out of our rented house by the need for plumbing work, and needed a room with a working toilet and shower. We ran the water in the shower for 5 minutes in the morning and it never got hot enough to shower in. We only stayed one night. When we informed the manager about this she said she hadn't had any complaints about this before, and would get someone to fix it. I told her this didn't help us, as we were checking out. She did not offer to reduce our bill. Breakfast was the usual fare, except there was no fruit of any kind, and the juice machine was 'out of order'. The pumps worked, so I suspect they ran out of concentrate. The management could have got fruit juice in cartons from a nearby grocery store.

The rooms are very clean and spacious and beds are comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised as this was my first time staying here. Staff was great. I would recommend this hotel if visiting Tallahassee.

Excellent downtown location. Set back from the main road. Clean and nice sized rooms. The room faced outside so you can park your car right outside your room which saves you the trouble of towing all your luggage inside. The room looks newly renovated and smelt like it too! The breakfast was good with a larger than normal variety of offerings as well as hot items :) The check in and checkout was fast and painless as any hotel stay should be, look forward to our next visit to the Best Western Pride Inn & Suites!
