My main dissatisfaction staying at the Best Western was the cleaning service. We had to make sure we got our own clean towels and empty our own trash. We were dissatisfied with not getting our room freshened up every day. That's one of the perks of staying in a hotel. Getting back to your room and the bed is made along with empty trash cans and fresh towels waiting for when you need them
Everything about the room was excellent. It was clean and smelled good. "The" problem, no hot water in the evening/night. It would have been nice to be able to take a hot shower before bed. (Three nights (W-T-F) about 9pm.). Morning water temperature was great.
The best place ever that team will bend over backwards to make sure your stay is perfect. Me and the wife love it here everytime we stay also very clean pool clean property and very quiet and an awesome breakfast very good location i like to call it my home away from home
This hotel is conveniently located for making day trips to the beaches of Emerald Isle. Our rooms were clean and staff were nice, but the rooms felt a bit dated/worn. One of the rooms had a strong smell of mold as one entered the room. The door latch did not work properly on the front door of one of our rooms (it got stuck in a locked position that prevented one closing the door); we reported it to the front desk but it's hard to believe the cleaning crew had not noted/reported this before. We booked a family room for one paraplegic family member. The bed was very soft (which might be a feature for some) and our family member sank in, making it hard to move/position her in bed. Best Western markets its "Plus" locations as having well-appointed guest rooms, upgraded amenities, and a contemporary feel. The rooms did not fit that description for us. Next time we need a hotel in this area, we will try a different hotel. If this were the only option available at a reasonable rate, we would consider it again (as there was nothing awful about our experience) - but not with enthusiasm.
We could only use 1/2 the room because the AC was leaking so bad that the carpet was so soaked we couldn't walk on it. Thankfully it was the far end of the room so we just stayed on the other side closer to the bathroom till morning since it was just one night . Tried to report it to management but nobody available, still waiting to make a call back to the "right person". Bathtub had hair in it from the previous guest, gross.
The staff was friendly and courteous the hotel is nice and clean breakfast kept running out so we had to wait pool is nice and clean
Wow, what an incredible stay! The Best Western exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. The room was stunning - spacious, stylishly decorated, and spotlessly clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the amenities were great. The hotel's prime location was just a short drive from the beach! I spent my days lounging on the sand, swimming in the ocean, and watching stunning sunsets. The hotel's proximity to the beach made it the perfect base for a relaxing getaway. The staff's exceptional service and the hotel's great location made my stay truly unforgettable. 5 stars isn't enough - I'd give this hotel 10 stars if I could! Can't wait to come back and experience it all again.
We stayed at this Best Western for a family reunion. We couldn't be more happier with our stay! We were very impressed by the friendly staff, clean rooms and super comfortable beds. The location was perfect for us because the hotel is right in the middle of the beach and shopping. We will definitely be back!
Best Western Swansboro is our go to when we travel to Emerald Isle. The staff are all excellent, friendly and very accommodating. Breakfast is always plentiful and good.
Definitely a $300 room if you were in Boston New York or Atlanta. This particular Best Western has been renovated since the last time I was here and is very nice along with modernize upgrades and improvements. I was particularly surprised by the customer service of the night manager when I didn't have my rewards card on me. He could have charged me the higher rate and I would have been fine with that because I didn't have the required credentials but I was having a bad day and I think he could sense that so he took care of me and I really appreciated it. Especially when he helped with the door getting my stuff in and checking up on me making sure that the room was to my liking that kind of customer service goes a long way and is really hard to find in today's day and age so thank you very much Evan P. Your service was a 10 out of 10 Stars and I wish you the best running this Best Western in the future.
I had a great experience! Jackie and the entire staff are amazing and very caring. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and it was overall a great stay. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in the area. Thank you for making me feel welcome.
I booked this stay through a third party. This is a great location for my wife and I as it was very close to family and other places of interest. The staff is very friendly and helped us with a double charge issue and resolved it.
The nicest people I have ever met. From front desk, the kitchen staff to housekeeping. Very clean , breakfast is out of this world. If you need anything they go out of their way to help, no matter what time. I have totally enjoyed staying here and will definitely return. It's like my family.
The photos speak for themselves … I reserved a junior suite well in advance. Upon checking in and entering my room the smell was so strong it immediately burned my throat?! I didn't even put my bags down when I saw the DISGUSTING couch. Immediately returning to the front desk questioning the condition and smell of my room. I was offered a different room Not a Jr suite but a king room. That's where the outlet hanging out of the wall and the bug were. I checked out but was informed I would be charged for the room because I entered it ??? Instead of refunding my full amount they decided to keep 50% ? For what ? Now the world gets to see what I was offered !! UNACCEPTABLE!!
I always call to verify the fact that the facility does accept pets / registered service animals. She even put me on hold to validate that this particular location would accept She assured me all was good , we get to the location and the fun began being greeted with a attitude of disgust that we actually had our dog. And even though I told her at least 3 times that I had called to verify ,she continually ignored it like it didn't matter at all , she reluctantly put us down by the side door going out that stayed busy and loud seemingly all night Also right next to the laundry room. Then check my account a few days later and see a $25 pet charge There is suppose to be no fee for service animals. Wish I had spent a little more a stayed at the Hampton never had an issue with them or comfort . We've stayed here in the past with no issues but absolutely no more with or without Fido. This manager needs to take some lessons on how to talk to customers if she's going to be in this role.
Musty smell, dripping shower, ac not efficient, spot light shines in room all night, toaster not working right at breakfast but nice selection of foods and beverages. Fitted sheet too small for bed and kept coming off ☹️
Jackie at the front desk greeted us with a smile and made us feel welcomed. Guille in the breakfast area always has a great attitude and a smile. The food is hot and delicious. Great variety of breakfast items.
Pros..Staff were super sweet. Bed was clean and comfortable. Great location. Cons..No carpet in room so it echoed horribly. The Jets barely worked in the tub. The toilet had residue from being cleaned with a dirty rag. Nothing like cleaning a room yourself as you arrive.
Do not stay at this hotel. Rude front desk clerk, heating system not functioning properly, bed mattress has a pothole in the center, shower/tub improperly installed and moves while showering, unexpected miscellaneous charges added to bill
Affordable, decent room, roomy, comfortable, everything worked, clean, friendly staff. Not far from the water, parking was great, breakfast was just what we needed. Nothing too fancy but comfortable. Would recommend.
Jackie at the front desk was professional, warm, knowledgeable and receptive. She went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. Guille in the breakfast area was sweet and warm and receptive. She took care of restocking cups and made an awesome breakfast.
The Best Western is under renovation and the new look is very nice. Clean. Bright. Nice Tile. A good value for the money. Unfortunately, the beds are not very comfortable. I assume they were not upgraded with the rest of the facility - which is unfortunate. Breakfast is decent - but the coffee needs to be improved.
I did not receive any confirmation of my hotel reservation for this Best Western; however, I woke up to a $172.11 charge for an overnight stay that I did not make. I have been in contact with Best Western Customer Service for 9 days. At the corporate level, I have been treated with respect and kindness; however, the manager of this specific Best Western has been everything but respectful and kind. I have multiple unprofessional and highly abrasive emails from the manager of this Best Western who only contacted me after completing a survey indicating that I did not stay nor make a reservation for this hotel. I have called the hotel multiple times to talk to the manager; however, she has been unavailable. I have left messages and the messages have not been returned. I have requested a phone call to resolve this issue and the manager refuses to call to discuss this issue. I am highly disappointed by this situation. If this is any indication of the level of service someone would receive at this Best Western, I would recommend you avoid this hotel at all costs.
It was under construction when we were there but our stay was great. The staff was very friendly and the room was very clean and spacious. The roll in shower was large and perfect to accommodate my disability needs. The breakfast wasn't the greatest but I would still stay here again if we were visiting. They have done a lot of updating and I'm sure it will be even nicer once they are done.
Overall an iffy experience. Seems they had renovations going on. Our room was ok, but giant cockroaches in the hallway. One of my family members had cockroaches in the room and droppings of some sort in the pull out couch which did not have linen. Think hard about staying here!
AC was broken. Pull out couch had multiple roach droppings. My uncle saw at least one roach in the hallway. Overall, room was generally unclean and unpleasant. Staff was not concerned when we mentioned to them during check out.
My hotel of choice when in the area. I really enjoy the remodel with removing the carpet and putting in the new LVP. It is so much easier and more sanitary for all. You feel welcome from the time you check in, to the next mornings awesome breakfast to checkout. That is why I keep coming back
We have stayed here a few times since our daughter lives in Swansboro. Cedar Point is just over the bridge from Swansboro. The hotel is very close to Emerald Isle Beach. It is located on the main highway but there is no street traffic. The breakfast has fresh fruit, hot eggs and sausage, yogurt and cereal.
Stayed here for my birthday weekend to celebrate and it was awesome! It was right in between Emerald Isle and Swansboro which I love everything was within 10 minutes. The room was so clean and lots of space and storage. We got the room with the Jacuzzi tub and it was amazing so relaxing to end the day! We will stay here everytime from now on
Overall, we had a great experience. They were remodeling the hotel. We could hear some noise at night, but it was not too bad. There was always fresh towels during our 3 night stay, where we did not have to ask for them. They locked the main door at 10 and failed to tell us that the side door let us in with our key. With that being said, the night staff seemed to be a little upset when we rang the doorbell to be let in through the main door. Also, our king bed frame was broken in the middle and we didn't sleep very well because of it. That was the only disappointing part of our trip.
The Inn was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. Historic Swansboro is just down the street. The Crystal Coast- Emerald Isle, Salter Path, Atlantic Beach, and Morehead City are nearby. The NC Aquarium is a short drive away. Restaurants and stores are close.
When we pull back the comforter to go to sleep there was a damp spot on our fitted sheet. Upon closer inspection we realized it was pee, not from our dogs or us. We had to move rooms at 11 o'clock at night and the next morning we tried to speak to the lady at the front desk to resolve it. She was incredibly rude and gave us the worst customer service we have ever experienced. She essentially accused us of lying and said she should be charging us more money because of our dogs. A clerical error on her mistake. We will never be staying at this hotel ever again and are currently trying to speak with corporate on this matter. Do not stay here if you want decent customer service and clean sheets
Second time staying at this hotel. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable with four pillows. We chose to include breakfast with the room. They serve a nice breakfast to start your day... We stayed five days our breakfasts choices included: pancakes, sausages, cereal, assorted pastries, eggs... We will definitely be back.
Staff does not wear masks. If they bother to have one on, it is below the nose or under the chin. The breakfast is not good. One lady is trying to fix it all by herself for a crowd of people and she is not wearing a mask properly. The facility itself is very rundown. The mirror in my bathroom was coming apart. The toilet was running. The bathtub did not drain while you showered. Worse, the room was not particularly clean. The shower had 2 long dark hairs on the wall. How could you possibly miss that if you cleaned thoroughly? The entire room had an overwhelming musty/mildewy smell as if the AC unit was not functioning well. When I went to my room, it wasn't the correct room. I had reserved a room with 2 beds and was sent to a room with one king bed. Only because there was a very kind person checking in at the same time who was willing to trade rooms was I able to get the room I had *reserved* weeks earlier. The check-in person was very nice. No one else at the hotel seemed a bit interested in providing service-from the front desk staff (other than Michael) to the breakfast lady. There were yappy loud dogs on my hall. Overall the hotel had a rundown, broken down, dingy, unclean feel. I don't know if that is because of allowing pets or just a general disinterest on the part of the staff and management. Will not stay here again and frankly not sure if I'll try another BW anytime soon.
We traveled to this area for a family vacation. We had stayed in this hotel many years ago and had a great experience. However the hotel is very run down. Our room was a king suite. The toilet was dirty I had to use my own wipes to clean off hair and some brown stains. When I went to hang a towel the towel bar was not attached to the wall. The water in the shower did not drain well. And the cabinets in the kitchen at aria had a very old rusty odor. Even my kids thought the room was gross. If I had had another option I would have left immediately
Our family booked a "King Suite". A room with a king bed & hide-a-bed for our young children. Upon entering you could smell mildew, and upon going over to the HVAC system the "cover" fell off, showing a very dirty system and a lack of maintenance. I pulled out the hide-a-bed and then found no sheets, blanket or pillows for it in the room. I contacted the hotel staff and they only had a fitted sheet and blanket available. The next day they provided a sheet and pillows.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, facility was very clean and the breakfast was very good. We traveled with our dog and the "pet friendly" room was very clean. I cannot say anything negative about the place.
Bugs in bedroom . Killed them and brought them to front desk, also took video of them walking around to prove they weren't planted there to get a discount. Had to be moved to a different room . AC unit was noisy and filter was dirty. Asked to have extra pillows and was told they only had 1 because they threw them away. Ice bucket had no cover and we were told they don't use covers. Security door by pool was left open unlocked, pool was already closed , avg temp 85 degrees
This hotel is a bit rundown. Ceiling pealing in the bathroom probably because there is no fan in there. The weekend after Labor Day and the pool is closed. (this is NC) Breakfast is poor and the carpet is dirty.
This hotel is in the middle of Jacksonville, NC and Emerald Isle, NC staff polite and very accommodating. Loved the pool. Room was very clean. Air Conditioner was nice and strong in my room. There is CP's Grill next door. Great food, great price
The hotel was clean and the staff members were helpful and friendly. Our experience at this hotel is great. We have stayed at this hotel for a few years now, and we are always happy. I would recommend this hotel to anyone that would be traveling in the NC area. We have relatives that live in Emerald Isle and this hotel is really close to where they live.
Front desk, breakfast staff and maid service is always top notch! Always friendly and willing to help with any situation. Thank you for everything you do for me when I am there. Shannon, Jackie, Kristen and David.
Best Western Plus Silver Creek Inn is an older hotel, but very clean. Breakfast was very good with sausage gravy over biscuits, eggs, sausage, cold cereal, instant oatmeal, bagels, coffee, juice, etc. We loved the location with many restaurants and the close proximaty to Emerald Isle. I wouldn't hesitate to return! We slept very well, but if you are light sleeper you may want to have a room in back of the hotel due to the noise of the highway.
We spent one night at the Best Western. It was easy access to shopping and the beach. The staff was great and lots of help with any questions we had. The breakfast was very good and the cook was very friendly. Check in and out was a breeze.
We choose this hotel because was close to the beach, this was our first time here. The room was cozy, clean, and a good size for 4. It needs to be updated especially the bathroom and carpet. Overall, was a nice stay.
We booked this hotel for one night. At approximately 11:15 that night we awoke to discover an intruder in our room. Because the security latch on our door was broken, he was able to use his door swipe card to get in. He fled when I jumped up out of bed. I have complained to the manager and Best Western but as of this review nothing has been and no attempt has been made to make amends for a terrible stay. Avoid this hotel!!! The photo shows the broken security latch.
We choose this Hotel because it was close to the beach area. We took a fishing trip and it was a 3.5 mile ride to the Fishing Pier. The rooms were quiet and the hotel was in a nice area. Convenient to local fast food sites
This hotel is OK. It's clean. Needs to be updated. They did not make known any additional precautions that they were taking for Covid with respect to cleaning the rooms before you got there. The shower in our room was a tub enclosure and I thought I was going to fall through the floor it kept creaking. The bathroom door wouldn't close. It's just not somewhere I would ever stay again
Jackie at the front desk was very pleasant to work with. Each time I walked through the reception area she always greeted me and always check to make sure I had everything I needed. I met a young lady on your housekeeping team name Bianca and found out that she was the one who straightened up my room most of the nights. Bianca went above and beyond to make sure my room was tidy and neat and to make sure I had fresh towels and anything I needed to make my stay better. Jackie and Bianca both should receive some type of recognition from Best Western due to their courteousness and exceptional customer service.
I normally stay here a lot. But, with Covid I have not-But always welcome from the time you come in, to the time you leave. I had wondered how they would set up their Breakfast because of Covid-It was done excellent with an excellent attendant and awesome food.
The only issue I had was the keys to the room didn't work. Had to go down three times about them. Breakfast was great. The worker in there was excellent. Didn't use pool etc. Other than that a nice place
After traveling from Ohio I checked into the hotel around 5 am. The desk clerk working checked me and my family in fast and had us on our way. Upon checkout i did have a a billing issue and the manager was able to address and fix it with no problem. Breakfast was great as well as the attendant. Upon leaving we were thanked by name which made me feel as a valued guest rather then just a buck. We will definitely be staying back here in the future.
This is my second year with Best Western Plus, Cedar Point - Swansboro, NC. Comng in during a time of Covid I was unsure what to expect. Having stayed there last year and also during a change of Ownership I was concerned. I requested room 124 which is the same room I had the year before. Unlike last year the rule on Emotional Support Animals have changed and that is industry wide. Thankfully this location still allows them but at a small fee. Meigs just as last year was very happy in our room and well received. She loves the staff and they love her. I was concerned after reading some negative reviews this year before booking our reservation but I know this property and I trust it. We were not dissapointed. There are some adjustments to operational procedures due to Covid. We were in for a week and unlike last year they cannot do the floors and beds during your stay. They do change the trash and the towels daily. The hot bar is still there and open but unlike last year and because of Covid restrictions it requires that staff assist you assembling your plate. All good. They do all of this efficiently. The washing maching and dryer have been fixed and replaced. Unlike last year they were not working. They are also at a very affordable rate. Don't forget to bring some detergent, dryer sheets etc. if you need them. The room was delightful and as I remembered it from the previous year with only slight deviations also allowing for Covid maintenance in the property of this size. Speaking of Covid. They are managing it well with cleaning, masks, sanitizer, signage and awareness. I felt very safe on the property. Both from a physical standpoint and also valuables. No concerns whatsoever leaving valuables in your room while you are away here. The grounds and the Property were in pristine condition from my opinion. I did not find any issues with siding as previously noted in a review. I looked for that. If there was it appears to have been repaired. Lastly, the vast improvement since last year has to do with the staff. There has been some transition and some familiar faces. Perhaps they were a tad stressed last year because of transfer in ownership. The staff is now AMAZING ! Micheal, Keisha, Michelle all of them are simply amazing and super friendly. They genuinely care about you and it shows. If I had a negative it would be this. The property is also a contract labor property. If you stay for a week you will possibly understand what I am saying. In contrast to a situation with other Tourists you are also in a situation with hardworking Essential Contract Labor Workers that are there conducting business to the area. They fulfill a vital need and I had no issues with these Men. They are simply staying on the property during the week while they are doing a job. All good. No Worries. It was an AWESOME Vacation. The area is AMAZING. There is so much to do and this location is central to all of it. I am so happy, grateful and thankful. Thank you soo much. I look forward to seeing you again this time next year if possible. Warm Regards
Was here to visit family and LOVED this hotel! The staff was amazing. Had to listen to the other guests acting like babies crying an complaining in hopes to get a room for free as they had no more money. I wanted to say something as the staff was doing the best they could not to be unprofessional. Koodos to the staff!
Best Western does not stand by their brand. When I called cooperate to complain about treatment recieved by management they referred me to the same manager that I was complaining about to remedy the situation. After booking a room well in advance through Best Westerns website they gave my mother a room without a working bath. Then the only other option she was giving to replace the room was a room without a working A/C. The management and staff treated her like her feelings and concerns were a joke. She returned home in tears. Trust me my mother is not a "Karen". "Karen's" do not cry when they are wronged. When she complains there is a reason. And when cooperate defend people who would treat a senior citizen in such a way, they are not a brand worth giving your money to.
This hotel was very nice and clean, my room had all the amenities and plus some, customer service was great and very helpful! As well as the housekeepers! They recommended great places to eat and explore. It's located in a beautiful area! Would definitely stay again!
Staff is very friendly! Great rates. I felt at home. Amid the health crisis, hurricanes, and earthquakes rest assured safety measures are in place. Nice fenced in pool, fitness center, elevators. Just a 15 minute drive to Emerald Isle. Lastly, pet friendly, my Frenchie was treated like family. Thank you for everything. Keep up the great work all BW staff.
Nothing Plus about this place. All 3 floors, no functioning ice machine. Hotels.com booked wrong room, motel wouldn't give us jetted tub, as I ordered. Exhaust vent in bathroom not working. TV was stuck on video1, no input button on remote.
I booked a room for 2 nights. Warning: this hotel is a mess. Laundry and vending machine are out of order. Vinyl siding is missing off a section on the back of the hotel. The room we were put in was not clean. Dirty carpet, horrible dirty air filter in AC (we removed it). Bed was uncomfortable. A washcloth thrown across the rail in the stairwell was still there when we checked out on the 3rd day. Rolls of carpet and padding are piled up in the stairwell. Phone in the room was not working. When we called down to voice our concerns we were told it would be taken care of but it never was. The woman on duty had the nerve to tell me she had called the room and spoken with my daughter which is impossible since the phone didn't work and my daughter was in Morehead City at the time. Finally my son came in and convinced them to switch us to a different room which was cleaner and more comfortable. I did not appreciate the poor service and being lied to by the woman at the desk. I will not be returning. Sadly the site won't upload my photos?
We've always stayed at the hotel in the past when going to the beach so we didn't think twice about booking again, however, the experience was poor. In our unit the air conditioning unit made the most terrible noise every time it kicked on. We are both sound sleepers, but this woke us up from a dead sleep. It also rattled consistently allowing us to get no sleep as it was too hot to turn it off. The bed was also very uncomfortable, it felt like we were sleeping straight on the box spring! We paid $180 for one single night and didn't feel relaxed at all. Not sure if we will be back...
Room was pleasant and clean. Easy to relax in. Management and staff were excellent and went above and beyond to be helpful and kind. Located close to many restaurants and shops. I would highly recommend this hotel!
Had a great visit. Had a whirlpool in the room. Service was excellent. I will definitely be visiting again. Food was close by. Very quiet. Breakfast was great and very accommodating. The pool was closed but the whirlpool was great.
stayed at best Western and were treated like we were dirt bags. head staff were nasty and we had two rooms booked for eight nights each. zero respect for us and we seemed like a bother to them, the maintenance worker was very nice however. took over 20 minutes to check out at the front desk and I was the only client there
Best Western was located perfectly for the Emerald Island Beaches. Breakfast was good, Coffee may be best Hotel Lobby COffee in a long time. Excellent Staff. Rooms clean. Water Hot, Internet was fast. Great Location. Will sttay here again.
This is a very clean and nice hotel. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating for what you need. The breakfast is good and the lady that prepares it is the nicest person you'd ever meet. My husband and I have stayed there several times and it always been a pleasure.
The hotel is close to the beach at Emerald Isle. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff is helpful. They have a full hot breakfast and it has good variety of items on it. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here.
Nice hotel. But pricey and the breakfast wasn't great. They have an outdoor pool and a fitness room which was nice. The staff was prompt, professional, and polite. I would return for another visit if given the chance.
Friendly staff, clean room, good price, nice breakfast, close to Swansboro Historic District and beach on Emerald Isle. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Good location. We really enjoyed or 2 day stay here.
The kid at the front desk thru a fit over a doll in the lobby. Called the police made us leave still charged us for the room and even called the marriot to tell them not to give us a room.. thank goodness for the police who vouched for us and told the Marriott the problem was not us it was the idiot at best western
Room was very clean, well maintained and smelled fresh. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The bathroom was not cramped, lots of fresh clean towels and toiletries Found the desk staff friendly, courteous and very helpful. The continental breakfast had plenty of choices to satisfy anyone. Can't beat the location, comfort and value. I will be staying here again when I am in the area.
Staff was very pleasant and very welcoming! They also had a wonderful hot breakfast! Room was clean and smelled fresh as the carpets had just been steamed! Pool was clean and open! Very pleasant stay! Will return!
Overall, the hotel was very nice. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was very good. But, check the bathroom for cleanliness!! The bathtub had long black hairs in it. Pubic hairs on the floor. Food crumbs in several spots on the floor. Bad odor in the hallway when you step off the elevator.
Found the room very clean and the bed very confortable. Found the desk help friendly and helpful, The continental breakfast had plenty of choices to satisfy everybody and the found I had was very good.
Such happy and pleasant staff, great breakfast, and lovely pool. A very nice place to stay! It was super convenient to the beaches of the crystal coast, as well as to various restaurants and shopping both on the island and nearby. We had a great time.
We were hesitant to make reservations because we usually stay at other hotel chains. Unfortunately, they were all booked. So, we thought that since this hotel was near where we wanted to stay, we would try it. It was a good move. We had a wonderful experience. We will certainly come back.
Entrance displayed two planters with dead flowers one decorated with an Easter bunny and one with a Scarecrow. It is June. It needed fresh flowers and lose the seasonal decor for seasons past. Gave me the message of no attention to detail. Pillows were horrible and overall this hotel seemed that the amenities were cheaper. Kleenex was horrible and towels paper thin. It was however very clean. Clock on microwave did not work.
Very Clean, Comfortable and Convenient. Would stay here again. Great location to Carteret County Speedway or short drive to a beach. Room was spotless; Breakfast included hot waffles, but microwave egg and sausage biscuits plus standard cold breakfast items.
This is a clean and safe place to stay in Cedar Point. You are just a few minutes from the beach, next to a Dunkin, and within minutes of Jacksonville. I stayed here back to back weekends for some DJ gigs and found this hotel to be a great option for overnight or extended stays. The property was well lit, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly.
The staff at this Best Western are so great from the front desk to the maids and breakfast crew! I will be staying here every time I visit the area! I would like to thank you for a great stay! We had a great time and these people are awesome!
Stayed here for 3 nights in May. Open Air Swimming pool and also a gym on site. A decent complementary breakfast. Our room was a good sized double which worked out just fine for us. NB No room safe. A good sized on site car park. There was some refurb work going on at the time but this did not impact on us in any way Swansboro is a couple of miles to the east and this has some nice restaurants
Buyer beware. Got a call 2 hrs out from my arrival that there was no room available although I had a confirmation. Not good when you're on the way. Worst part was how they handled it. Just recommended checking other hotels. Asked for manager and told she was not there. Asked when she would be back and told they didn't know. Wow!
Friendly courteous staff and rooms and pool were clean and well maintained. My grandson loved the small gym and pool. Great location, easy access to beach and restaurants. This will be our go to place.
Cant beat the price! Friendly staff, free breakfast (with lots of choices), comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms nice, lots of towels and toiletries. One of the cleanest outdoor pools I have ever swam in! Dunkin Donuts right nextdoor; Dominos pizza across the street. The carpets throughout need replaced. Quaint little seaside town of Swansboro 5 minutes away with little shops, so cute. Well worth the money!
Stayed at BW SC while visiting friends in area. Location was the deciding factor. It is very convenient and all aspects of the motel were quite good. Room next door to lobby on ground floor and the internet connection was mediocre reception which I found very strange because I am pretty sure the router was in the lobby.
Enjoyed our stay. Really liked the free coffee, tea or hot chocolate that was available 24 hours. Very clean hotel and courteous staff and friendly. Would stay here again. Close to beach and Dunkin donuts is right next door.
Coming from Pennsylvania we had an excellent stay. I have MS handicap accessible bathroom was perfect with a walk in shower. Our room was on the first floor everything was in short walking distance to the desk, breakfast area and gym. All the staff was friendly. We will defiantly be making this our go to place. Very close to family.
Cut outs in carpet were a repair work that went bad, patch work on the ceiling, that wasn't finished, bug in the bathroom, cracks in drywall. It felt very run down with nice countertops in bathroom. TV was glitchy.
Quick Saturday overnight. Rooms need updating/refreshing quite a bit. Breakfast could be a little higher quality, but overall staff was friendly Plus are it's beside Dunkin Donuts for when breakfast isn't up to speed. cons: Beds are really soft if that's what you like, too soft for my taste. Very close to the main road, so if your room faces the road it can be noisy. Overall a pleasant stay, would stay again if needed a place to stay for a short trip. I did notice it had a decent weight room and an outdoor pool which I thought was a nice bonus if traveling in warmer months.
We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and it's convenient location, reasonable rates, and clean, comfortable rooms have been consistent on each stay. This stay is a bit different. The reservation and check in process was very good, the desk manager was very helpful and the lobby area looked good. Our room was a little different this time. Looks like it is time for a freshen up. Room carpet is torn/dingy looking and the bathroom a bit “worn out”. Time for management to do a careful assessment of each rooms condition.
Of the 2 choices for chain hotels in the area, this is the best: it's much cheaper than the Hampton with same amenities, and just as clean and modern. I've stayed at both and this hotel has a friendlier staff who seem to like their job. There is a Dunkin' Donuts next door if you don't want the complementary breakfast, otherwise, not much else you can walk to.
The hotel was still recovering from the aftermath of a hurricane and that was explained to us before confirming our reservations. The room and hotel was clean, the staff was nice and we enjoyed our stay.
Terrific value on the NC Crystal Coast. Exceptionally friendly staff with Ms. Ella at the helm. Very clean rooms with comfortable accommodations. Ms. Kay offers a wonderful breakfast. If you leave hungry, it's your fault! We have appreciated this hotel for years. We'll be back very soon.
Nice room. Pretty good gym. Even had full array of dumbbells which is rare for a hotel. Breakfast is so so like 90 percent of hotels anymore. Within 7 or 8 minute drive to Atlantic beach. So much to do. Staff was friendly and room was clean. Pictures are of Atlantic Beach not hotel grounds.
The staff helped us find places to go and things to do since we could not get in the ocean, Red Flag warnings. We had the wrong room when we checked in and the staff corrected it very promptly. The jetted tub was GREAT!!!!!!
Stayed here recently while visiting family at the beach. Front desk staff were always friendly, and our room was surprisingly quiet even though the hotel was busy and we were right across from the elevator. Beds were a bit soft for my taste. Carpet in our room was pretty stained. But otherwise we had a very pleasant stay. Did not take advantage of the pool or breakfast but those are nice to have.
We wanted to take a quick trip to the beach and this hotel met our needs exactly for a one night stay. It was clean and the Jr suite gave us comfortably space for a family of 4. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. We booked this last minute knowing it isn't necessarily on the beach but it gave us a place to rest our heads after a day enjoying Emerald Isle. While we prefer being closer to the beach for quick last minute trips like this we will def consider this hotel again.
Stayed here as the host hotel for the two day event. The staff was very helpful, the room was great and the breakfast was good also. I look forward to returning next year. When the event is scheduled again. Thanks for everything.
This hotel is on Route 24, which is the main highway from US17 in Jacksonville, NC to the coastal towns and beaches to the east. It's definitely more of a stopover to spend the night than a destination hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful, the bed was very comfortable, the pool was sparkling clean, and the air conditioning kept up with the sweltering outdoor temps. The bathroom was in need of some deep cleaning and it badly needed an exhaust fan. The free breakfast consisted mostly of prepacked microwaveable items like you might find in a 7-11; you're better off going to the Dunkin Donuts next door.
This is a good place to stay it is pet friendly which is a plus! Clean and neat rooms. Provides breakfast for free which consist of biscuits, hot waffles, muffins, yogurt, cereal hot and cold. Juice, milk, fruit. Comfy and clean beds. Nice clean pool. Price is good compared to other hotels. House Keeping does a great job here. Very nice.
Range needed to be updated, breakfast bar needs to be extended until 10 a.m. with bottles of cold water, hallways and appearances of walls need to be updated and cleaned. Staff at front desk or excellent
Pros: nice location, just before the bridge that takes you to Emerald Isle; the beach is just 7 minutes away by car, if you go to 'Bogue Inlet Pier', which we loved! Opposite to the hotel, a Domino's pizza, otherwise plenty of restaurants a few minutes away. The staff was really nice. Beds are comfortable and room offers a large fridge and a microwave. Cons: the hotel itself is pretty outdated and wifi in our room didn't work too well. Breakfast offers different options, but most protein items need to be microwaved. All in all, it was right for the price we paid, considering it's the Crystal Coast!
My stay here was an Awesome experience. The staff made you feel like family and hotel was clean and well kept. By end of stay we were all on a first named basis and because of stay I didn't want to leave. Highly recommended
This hotel was really nice, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a good variety, very clean and good food. The location was ideal. The room was spacious, and clean. Very comfortable bed.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel. His stay was for business purposes, mine was for leisure. Overall, we were satisfied with our stay. Bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. The room smelled a little musty, so I bought some Febreeze which helped (I think it was just the older carpet). The halls and stair wells weren't the cleanest. Fantastic coffee at breakfast!
This was by far the besy experiance with a hotel stay. Everything from the staff to the cleanliness of the room was excellent. I highly recomend anyone looking for a place to stay in this area to check here first!
Perfect stop for a trip from Myrtle Beach to the Outer Banks. Arrived in the evening and was greeted by very nice people at the reception, one of them obviously new to the job. But no problem checking in. Room was very adequate for one person. Breakfast also sufficient for the next leg of the trip. No hassle at checkout, as the receipt already was delivered by e-mail.
The Best Western is a nice place to stay in between Jacksonville and Morehead City. The rooms are very nice and clean upon arrival. The free breakfast is nice and the staff is very friendly and professional!
I was very pleased with the Best Western amenities and comfortable room. We stayed two nights for respite from being cooped up at home as a result of the extremely cold weather. This hotel is located in the very center of the many restaurants and other attractions within a 5-45 minute drive in all directions; Swansboro, Emerald Isle, New Bern, Beaufort, Topsail, Atlantic Beach, Jacksonville. There is a large N.C. Wildlife Boat launching facility a half mile away with direct access to the Intercoastal Waterway and Bogue Inlet. The included continental breakfast was a definite plus and available until 9:30am. There is a major chain donut/coffee shop next door. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. We took advantage of our travel card discount and saved $20-30 a night over the comparable alternative.
I stayed at this location for convenience to people and businesses we were visiting in the area. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I will return when I revisit the area.
Staff was fabulous and rooms were immaculant and nicely decorated. I really enjoy the whirlpool in the room as well. Breakfast was sufficient and love that coffee and tea was available 24/7 as it was needed lol
The owner needs to do some serious work to upgrade the hot water system. three of the six days no hot water in the morning. Carpets are worn and stained, and pest control was a problem. Staff had to get elevator working on three occasions.
Very Excellent , We totally enjoyed staying here. People were very nice and the hotel was easy to get to. I would highly recommend staying here. the room was clean and the service Great ! Have to say we will stay here again.
We came down for my wife's daughter's wedding on Pine Knoll Shores and since I'm up to Diamond status, I stay at Best Western when available. Another wedding guest stayed here as well. To be frank, I'm not sure why the "Plus" ranking as I've stayed at regular BW's that had the similar amenities. Our room, 222, on the front of the building faced the street(4 lanes) and parking lot and you may want one on the backside for less noise. The room also had a musty smell when first entered. Our room was very large with a sofa and my wife liked the well lit bathroom mirror which is one of her criteria! We will be staying here again when visiting in the area.
Clean rooms, good free breakfast, enthusiastic, pleasant, caring, fun staff. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Conveniently located near to our family's home, stores and to good restaurants and the aquarium. We will definitely return.
It was just a normal hotel room for the price..... The gentlemen who worked the front desk was very friendly and informative when we asked questions regarding the area. The room was clean for the most part. It was defintely older, but clean. The carpets in the hallway were terrible and should.be replaced. However the only thing we truly laughed about was the chairs were so old that the patterns were completely worn off of them. They should have just been thrown out and replaced because it made us looked at everything else a little more. Other than that the hotel was near some cool stuff all within walking distances. (HARRIKA'S / RIPTIDEZ / CHRISTINA'S ) Dunkin doughtnuts next door and a Domino's pizza across the street.
First time staying at this particular Best Western. It was very clean and staff helpful and courteous. We came for the spot festival at Swansboro. Location was great as we were close by emerald Isle and Morehead City. Rooms were neat and clean as a pin and comfortable. Had a great time and relaxed in comfort. Will be my choice of lodgings when in that area again.
We traveled to Emerald Isle/ Swansboro for a wedding. The experience was wonderful. We will return and definitely stay at Best Westetn. The hotel was under renovation but we still found the location wonderful and it was close to beach and restaurants.
Sadly, I trusted the great reviews this hotel had when I booked it for a 4 day trip to Camp Lejeune NC to visit our grandson. Most were positive and I trusted Best Western to be a quality place to stay. But as we entered it was obvious it an older hotel. That would have been OK but the conditions we found were totally unacceptable. The carpet by the elevator was very dirty and stained and looking down the hall it was the same all the way down. Getting off the elevator on the 2nd floor, it was even dirtier there. The smell of the room when we opened the door was really bad. I would have left then if we had not prepaid for the stay online. I planned to find a new place to stay the next morning. Unfortunately, I could not find any other motel that would fit our needs as most were already booked. So, we bought a spray air neutralizer and it did help. There was peanut on the nightstand when we checked in and it was still there when we checked out There was a large container of men's hair products on the floor under the table in the corner.. It was clearly visible from the bed. A bobby pin was on the floor in the bathroom and it too was there when we left. The tub/shower combination was a one piece unit. It squeaked and popped so badly, you thought it may break any minute. The lock on the door would not engage so we put a chair under the doorknob each night. But I believe the worst experience for me was when I reached for a glass of tea off the nightstand and found a small cockroach walking around the rim of the glass. I flushed it immediately but wished I had saved it for the manager. We gave a list of our problems to the desk staff, but he only said, "I'd better give this to the manager." I would have preferred he called them right then. I would never recommend this hotel. From the pictures it seemed like a nice place to stay. The front door had a sign stating it was independently owned and operated. Maybe so, but it still said Best Western on the outside and I truly was disappointed in that.
Hotel is what you expect for the price. Nothing fancy, but room was clean. Staff is SUPER friendly and helpful which compensated for lack of luxury. I would say it was a good value for the area. GOOD LOCATION, easy to get to.
My fiancé and I came down to this area for a visit with nearby friends and family. The hotel staff couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful with anything that was needed. Everyone was extremely pleasant, including "Mel - the Greeter" - the adorable and whimsical little harvest man that sits in the lobby. That is the kind of personality you can expect from the crew at Swansboro. The rooms were some of the best I've ever seen in a Best Western. The design of the room and the furniture and decoration all came together to truly make it feel like a little home away from home. The only slightly disappointing parts were breakfast and air conditioning. The air conditioners absolutely functioned, but the one in our room had needed a good cleaning of the filter which we only discovered as we felt it get colder but no less humid. It was an easy fix, we just cleaned them and didn't bother mentioning it, but it is notable that they could use regular cleaning. Otherwise, breakfast was more a continental selection than I think we somehow had expected otherwise, but it's not as though it was mis-advertised. That was on us. My fiancé needs to eat gluten free and while they only had one official alternative option (Cheerios) they did have items within the continental selection that he could have consumed so it was pretty accommodating in that regard. I can't say enough how attentive every single person was. I am a klutz and had cut myself and was standing in the lobby bleeding a little and - before I even had a chance to ask - someone was grabbing me a band-aid. Aside from all of that, the location really couldn't be better. It's just a few minutes from nearly everything but also far enough from the "tourist" area of Emerald Isle that you won't pay inflated prices for the stay, but still get relatively quick and easy access to beaches and so on, plus it's only just a couple of miles from the historic downtown which is adorable and an absolute must to walk through for anyone who loves charming little shops. Lastly, the hotel is directly next to a Dunkin Donuts, so for those of you whose coffee needs aren't met by hotel coffee you'll have an option just steps away. Overall, it's a great place to stay and I would highly recommend it!
Mold on the walls in the sitting area, bedroom and bathroom. Foul odor through out the room has to buy a can of Lysol. Wall paper peeling and dirty. Asked about getting my sheet changed and was told they only do that every three days.
Everything was clean, friendly and everyone was helpful. Would definitely stay there again! The staff asked if we needed anything else, gave us directions to places of interest and helped with everything we asked.
Hotel is located on mainland between Jacksonville and Morehead, NC. It was easy to find and affordable. Nice travel time to reach the island or go boating in the sound. Area has everything a traveler could want to find on the east coast.
We used to be big Hampton inn people but we've recently learned that best western is literally the best. Of the 4 nights we've spent in a hotel this month all 4 have been at a BW. I want to say that we left a large beach blanket in our room after checkout but the GM of this hotel BROUGHT IT TO US si ve it was on her way to a training. How sweet! We plan to spend one more night in a hotel in September and it will likely be this hotel! This best western was very hospitable, courteous, helpful and most importantly, CLEAN! Thanks for everything BW!!!
God awful noise made from the vent in bathroom that you have no control over or is it drawing any air into it, just makes NOISE. Was told by manager that all rooms sound the same, just shut the door, geee thanks, that was helpful. Bed comfortable but, sheets will not stay on bed. WIFI SUCKS. Now the best part, being woke up at 4:30 am by a roach crawling up my arm. Turned on light just in time to watch 2 roaches race up the wall. Picked up shoes to get dressed and watched 2 roaches run for cover. Did not even attempt to tell manager she would have said " Shut the door". Do not think I will ever consider this BW again, and we have stayed here a lot and never experienced anything like this before. Maybe new management or they just don't give a damn anymore.
Great room and service. Lovely area , Close by to the beach and restaurants. Very nice breakfast. I would go back to this Hotel when I return to Swansboro. Great customer service and professional staff members.
The prices in this hotel are reasonable and the service is great. The breakfast has a great variety and it was very filling. Also, the drive to the beach was about 5 minutes and that was great because we spent most of the day in the beach.
Everything was great except the kids who decided at 3 and 8 in the morning start banging on doors. Woke up my 9 month old son and dogs who we had with us. Staff was friendly. Rooms clean. Bed was comfortable.
Needed a place to stay at or near Emerald Isle. The Best Western is just across the bridge and easy access to the beach and to Old Town Swamsboro. The location worked great for us and we didn't have to buy the high beach price. It is clean and a very friendly staff.
You best have someone check behind Orkin. They were fined a large fine for cutting their chemicals in the treatments on the house we purchased. Maybe they are doing it at this motel as well. If they have that many bugs running around then something is certainly wrong with their pest control.
We stayed here 1 night before our vacation in Emerald Isle. It was well-kept and clean. The bed was comfortable and the shower stream was strong with hot water that actually lasted. The rooms were a bit dated, but overall, it was worth it and a good start to our vacation. The staff were very friendly and accomodating as well.
My family recently stayed at this hotel and it was awful. They ran out of pillows the first night we were there. The second day at breakfast there was no syrup for the waffles or milk for cereal and coffee. So the included breakfast was either a yogurt, toasted bread, or a refrigerated sausage biscuit. They were to short staffed on one day to have the room serviced. The worst part of the whole stay was the cockroaches. Every night my kids were standing on their beds in tears while we chased the bugs around the room to kill them. The experience was awful. We will not be coming back to this hotel again.
It is located in a great spot, but the price doesn't match the hotel. What I paid for, was not what I got. The pool was outdated and hurt to sit. The towels they gave us to use at the pool were old and worn to where their were holes in them. The breakfast consisted of carbs and sugar, and one protein which was hard boiled eggs in plastic packaging.
The rooms are a little dated for the price. Bed was ok but the staff was very friendly and polite. If you wanted all carbs for breakfast then this is your hotel. Conveniently located next to dunkin' donuts so it was nice to walk and get coffee and a nice hot breakfast.
We have been coming to Emerald Isle for many years and this is the first year we decided to stay at the Best Western Silver creek and it was the best decision we have made. It was clean and beautifully decorated. The pool is a bit small but it worked and the kids loved it. The morning breakfast was more then enough to keep my teens satisfied and happy till lunch time. The very best thing about this place is friendly and helpful staff. We will be back in the future for sure!
Stayed here many times; all have been good except the last stay. A check-in Joshua placed me in a room where I had to move the next morning, when he could have put us in a room where we did not need to move. Lesson Learned ASK.
We were at The Hampton in Swansboro, but decided to move here to be closer to our event. Big mistake. This hotel does conform to Best Western standards.....at all. Cleanliness lacking; service mediocre; upholstered chairs in dining area absolutely disgusting (chair in room not much better). We stayed the night but moved right back to The Hampton.
The staff is really friendly and helpful. However the rooms have a lot to be desired. The bathroom had a huge cock roach on the wall. The towels were almost as thin as a paper towel. The bed was low and lumpy and the air conditioning either froze you or wasn't cool enough. The pool was dirty. Breakfast was very continental. Hard boiled eggs in a baggie, three bananas, not much to choose from and a Dunkin Donuts right next door - it wasn't a hard choice!
Good location to stay if taking cedar island ferry ride. Motel is clean. Not very impressed with their breakfast choices. Staff friendly and helpful. Room was large. Several choices of restaurants in the area.
You are just a couple of miles from the beach. Ask the desk to point you in the direction of a nice public beach access with pavilion and bathrooms. We drove up to the Bogue pier and watcher fishermen and actually saw a 5 foot shark teasing those fishermen!! It was exciting. If you take a 25 minute drive up to Beaufort there are several ferry tours and you can see the wild horses. A ferry to Harker Island is recommended for sea shell hunting. Go early for bigger shells. Fudge Factory at Beaufort was OMG so good. We had dinner in Emerald Isle at Crab Shack. Best hushpuppies and fresh seafood and great service. the rooms at this Best Western are a little worn but they're preparing for renovation. You will love the staff and breakfast was real good.
The entire property is tired. If the rooms were refreshed and newer sheets on the bed I would give a higher rating. The pool needs painting and general care. The staff were quite pleasant but the owners need to step up to make this a higher rated property
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately the rest of our experience wasn't too good. Our room had a musty smell. When we arrived there was a small curly hair in the jacuzzi and when we tried to use it the water was a pale green color. The room was muggy and had a musty smell. The smell was worse in the closet, drawers and cabinets. The beds are very squeaky and the walls are thin. We could hear the guests moving about in the room above us all night. There were fishing spiders and cockroaches in the bathroom.
We stayed here for two nights to go to a Beach Music Festival in Emerald Isle and I must say this is a great place and very reasonable too. Pool was fantastic and the breakfast bar was good and we met some very nice people. Will be staying here again.
Affordable. Check. Decent breakfast bar. Check. Free Wi-if. Check. But the bed was soft and the roach on the bed skirt the next morning just did not do it for us. Most of the lights over the parking lot needed new light bulbs. When I asked he desk, she said they knew and were waiting on ... well I can remember exactly what. Bulbs and the truck. This is a clear safety problem. My safety. Ok, so we would not go there again.
The staff was extremely helpful accommodating myself and my canine companion for a last minute reservation. Thank you so much! The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the jet tub was a great addition. Awesome staff. Keep up the good work!
Was able to book a last minute room which was affordable, clean and comfortable. Continental breakfask was a nice touch for the next morning. Staff was very friendly and courteous. Wiil stay here again.
We stayed here 5 nights. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and bed and pillows were very comfortable. That being said, it could use a referbishing soon. It was ok but starting to get that well used look. Our tub made awful creaking noise when you were in the shower and was also very slippery. As older people, the prospect of falling was ever present. I did make that known on checkout and they said they'd pass it along to management. Overall it was a good place to stay. There is a nice exercise room and even tho it is off season, the pool was useable. We sat out there one afternoon for some sun and I did set on the edge and dangle my legs in, but was a little too cold for swiming
Friendly staff, clean rooms and great customer service. Overall a good experience. I only stayed one night but the staff was very helpful and accommodating. Comfortable beds, not much more you could ask for.
There are two hotels in this area that allow pets. This hotel offers a reasonable value and the staff are very accommodating. The facility does show some wear but everything in our room functioned well. We visit frequently to visit family and will stay here in the future
My husband and I planned to spend two nights here to rest and relax before heading for 2 more weeks of driving. We had to change rooms because of odor;the hall carpet was dirty;and the sheets had not been changed! Josh, at the desk, was gracious and apologetic as he gave me what we needed. We left the next morning.
Rooms have been all updated. We stayed a night before going onto Emerald Isle. Price was $86 for room, very reasonable. Hotel staff was VERY accommodating! They are pet friendly, but you should let them know that you have a pet when you book!! They only allow pets on first floor. Outdoor pool are is very nice and fitness room had a few treadmill and universal machine. The hotel is close to many things. They provide a breakfast, but it is cereal and starches, nothing exciting. Beds were super comfortable and room was large. Each room has mini fridge and microwave.
I could not have been more pleased with the service and overall value of my Best Western experience. The staff was very accommodating, and my room was clean and comfortable. The location also was central to all the local sights.
We stayed here on a quick trip to the coast for a purchase. Location was great- convenient to Emerald Isle and Swansboro. Hotel was very clean, and Josh at the front desk was very helpful. The continental breakfast was what I expected, nothing more or less. We hit it at a busy time which made the breakfast room seem crowded, so we decided to go next door to Dunkin Donuts (also a perk!). We would stay again!
Friendly and quite comfortable. We have stayed at the Silver Creek Inn about 15 visits over the years. Great staff and really nice accommodations. Ms. Kay offers a fine breakfast selection. The GM, Ms. Ella, will do her utmost to assure your needs are met! We'll be back again soon.
This Best Western is an excellent value for a clean, comfortable hotel room. We recently stayed her for the Emerald Isle marathon weekend and had a great experience. Even with a full hotel for the race, we were not bothered at all by the other guests. The first room we were given (224) was very noisy thanks to the heating units right below the room; we requested a room change and the front desk gave us a new room immediately. It's a great value since you're only a short drive (about 10 minutes) from the closest public beach access, and you can use it as a base to explore the rest of the Crystal Coast and Jacksonville. We would definitely stay here again.
This was a great location for looking about the area and easy reach of a visit to lovely Swansboro. We had a large room on the ground floor, which was clean and well equipped for an over night stay. The breakfast was the usual BW continental. Staff were lovely and helpful, we would recommend this hotel and would stay again
The staff was very friendly at the last minute my grandchildren needed to stay with me and they were ok with that, our room was super clean and spacious, really close to the beach. Internet worked great! AC was awesome! Great little breakfast. Right in town very convenient to the beach and town. Would definitely stay here again! Beds were comfy and super fluffy pillows.
Had a very nice stay here. Nice rooms with HBO and Showtime......and Wi-Fi. They have a pool and work out room. They are currently remodeling the exterior but I was never disturbed by the workers. The breakfast is pretty good compared to some places I've stayed. The hotel is close to everything in the area and very quiet.
Nice comfortable feeling. As close to home as you can get. Furnished well, kept very clean and neat and decorated beautiful. Staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. We were tired and we just wanted to relax. Excellent stay for us.
This hotel has it all. Grand pool and deck; fitness room; large, beautifully decorated rooms, and wonderful beds, followed by a complete breakfast including hot waffles. The crown jewel, however, is the staff. I suffered confusion when I made the one-night, 2-room reservations, and upon arrival had to cancel one (until NEXT day,) and extend one room through the next day. It took considerable effort on the staff's part to accommodate us (large group coming in,) but they did cheerfully, and without complaint. That service is commendable.
This hotel offers excellent facilities, It has the greatest hotel staff in the area, and is located close to whatever you want to do in the area. Overall I would highly recommend this location for business or pleasure.
Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The room was comfortable and clean. As was the entire facility. I would definitely stay here again. The location was convenient to local restaurants and shopping.
We frequently stay at this hotel since it within a few miles of our daughters home and convenient when we are visiting. This last visit proved to be extremely disappointing as we were killing cockroaches in our room (king/suite). The room had a very distinct and heavy musty odor, so much so, that we opened up our window (no screen) in an attempt to alleviate some of the horrible smell. The carpets in the room, hallways definitely need to scrubbed or replaced. When we mentioned this at check out, the housekeeping director stated that this was the 10th. complaint just that day for the very same reasons. Unfortunately, we won't be staying at this hotel again.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for three nights while visiting our son. The room was spacious, the bed very comfortable, nice bathroom, with fluffy towels! I work online and need a reliable and found the internet connection to be excellent. We always look for hotels with fitness rooms and this one was state of the art. often we opt not to take advantage of the free breakfast at many hotels because the choices are limited and not very healthy. The breakfast at this hotel was varied with plenty of choices. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others. The staff was very friendly as well. Greeting us when we returned at the end of the day and providing a friendly comment like "have a nice day as we left each morning.
Found good reviews online so we booked. We had a bad experience with bed bugs in another hotel in VA so we know what to look for. Before I even put my in the room my husband and I always look at the box spring and mattress... So I'm 9 months pregnant and take the mattress off, look at the box spring and these bed bugs scatter!! Even their waste is on the box spring! This is on the 3rd floor mind you room 307.. so my husband gets one on a tissue and squishes it, we go to the office and the lady behind the counter is flustered and goes talks to the general manager Ella. They move us to another room on the first floor this time room 103.. we go to the mattress and same thing happens!! Only this time it's with a king size bed. There was literally Bed bug feces between the two box springs. No. Just no. So we go to the office to get a refund and my husband takes the general manager to the room to show her.. this women is gonna take a picture of the bed bug my husband gave her in a tissue and send it to someone who claims it's a "carpet beetle". Really? So carpet beetles are all In the box spring and mattress with their feces between the mattress??! This place is a joke. And if two rooms are infested on different floors then likely it's the whole hotel since they don't even have bed bug covers on the beds or box springs. Just NASTY and as we are on the phone in the lobby getting our refund these women are still checking guests in!!! The general manager Ella was evwn trying to whisper to the other lady behind the counter that it didn't even look like bed bugs!! So their waste just came out of no where and bugs all over the bed with blood stains from them isn't even an issue.. right!!! So completely unprofessional! Need new management, smarter people and to get rid of BED BUGS.
We have passed this hotel often on our yearly trek to Emerald Isle with family. This time we came in Sept. and family flew in so we thought we'd try this hotel. It was clean, convenient and the staff was very nice and helpful.
very good, clerks very helpful with information, motel veryclean and locate in good location shopping very close restaurants close and historical sights close, near water sorry i think this is enough said about this motel.
My family and I stayed here for a weekend trip. We stopped in for an overnight stay while fishing with family. Our accommodations were fine the room was good and breakfast was great. The staff was warm and inviting ??. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend for this area. It was reasonably priced.
The beds were very comfortable and the location was great. Breakfast was not as great as other Best Western locations, but was ok. Kids loved the pool. Front desk staff was fast and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here, especially with kids.
I've stayed a couple of times and its always been very clean and service at front desk is very nice. The pool is clean and grounds are well maintained. There is a Dunkin Donuts next door plus Continental breakfast which is plentiful.
Great facility with terrific staff and accommodations. Really good value for the money! Convenient location to beach and water. We have enjoyed the hospitality at Silver Creek Inn eight times over the past few years and we'll be back!
did not find the chairs in the room to be clean the seats were stained as well as the seats in the dining room. The a/c unit in our room was noisy and did not work very well. And the room did not smell very good. The carpeting in the hallway looked very dirty.
The beds were lumpy but the worst part was no clean towels. A deal breaker for me. I don't care how full the hotel is, it needs to be prepared to accommodate all guests with the basics. Being given a bath mat to use as a towel was not acceptable. Neither was having to chase down and argue with housekeeping. I have never written a review before, but I feel strongly that I will not be staying here again.
nice hotel but very old and needs an upgrade. sheets were smelly and had holes in them. rooms smelled pretty bad. but close to the beach. we were looking for something close to the beach with breakfast for the kids and found this hotel to be accessible. breakfast wasn't exactly elaborate with long lines and staff that were slow but at least they offered something.
This hotel i non-smoking/vaping. pool closes at 10 but staff doenst force you to leave. Breakfast was great, waffles sausage biscuits fruit. coffee pot in the room is for pods but dd is next store. air orks great
Excellent place to stay near beach and historic part of town. Staff was friendly and helpful. The recommended places to eat and places to see. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet. Room and bathroom was very clean.
Musty ground floor room with bugs (water bug) type; not so clean room, not sure if sheets had been changed first night; swimming pool area clean inadequate seating and only 1 umbrella that did not work; outside exit dirty & smelly
The breakfast was great but my room had water bugs. I reported it to the front desk. July 2016. The front desk acknowledged there was a problem with bugs and that they were in the process of getting it taken care of. Other than that, the staff was very friendly. The breakfast had a variety of options for all of us. You are really close to shopping and beaches. The internet speed was decent enough for the kids to get online and you tube and play their PS4.
Smokey smelling rooms and roaches crawling on the wall. Checked out early but had to pay for the room anyways so I could check into a better, nicer, Hampton Inn Hotel that worked hard to make us happy after the horror story we had at this hotel.
Swansboro is so quant, great shops and restaurants. A few miles from Emerald Isle NC. A great place to stay for a short visit to the beach. Kids had a blast swimming in the pool in the evening. After a day at the beach it was nice to sit and relax by the pool. Emerald Isle also hasa wonderful Aquarium. Great town, close to the beach
This Hotel provided an enjoyable 3 night stay. Comfortable beds and a quiet room. They should move the Refrigerator stand to the left side of the dresser so one can see the TV from the chairs. Clothes line in the Tub did not work so there was nowhere to hang wet bathing suits. Overall a good stay
No problems. Staff helpful. Comfortable beds. Close to the beach.Would stay at this location again. They just need to upgrade there towels. Breakfast was OK and the pool was nice and clean. location from the beach is only minutes away.
We enjoyed our stay. Employees always smiling and helpful. We had a great stay. The water boggin is close by and so was the golfin dolfin. There is a fruit stand in walking distance that we really like. Late night snack at duncan donuts was right next door. We could see the fireworks from the pool area which was nice not having to get out in traffic. The kids did not want to leave they like the breakfast and pool the most. Very happy with our stay.
One stay over in a good hotel. Clean and good value. Nice pool and plenty of good restaurants close by Breakfast included in price Fridge and microwaves in room Good rates for AAA AND BEST WESTERN REWARDS CUSTOMERS NICE PEOPLE AT RECEPTION A recommended hotel
The beds were the best we have EVER slept on. Perfection! The room was a nice big room and we really loved staying there. We didnt get to enjoy the breakfast because of the in-room alarm clock failed to go off. >:{ But if you are ever in need of a great place to stay and rest.. this would be it!
Everything we experienced here was nice. It was clean and the staff was courteous. The breakfast was good but with the exception of the waffles, everything had to be microwaved. I would recommend this hotel.
We have found this Best Western to be very consistent. Always friendly staff, clean and bright. The bed covers are not quite enough but have always received when asked, an extra blanket left in our room. Customer Service is top notch! We will always stay here when visiting our newly relocated family. Convenient to everything you might want to see or need.
This hotel is less than 10 minutes from Emerald Isle beaches and very reasonably priced. It offered everything we needed...clean, comfortable bed and free breakfast. The only issues I noted....that we just dealt with because they were not that big of a deal were poorly flushing toilet, squeaky, flimsy-like bathtub and hearing guests foot steps in room above us.
I was very please with my stay at the Best Western in Swansboro, NC. I was their for my cousin's wedding . I can say that the Best Western brand has improved their amenities over the years. The only thing s I have to say that wasn't to my standards was the beds and I feel they can get better mattresses because their mattresses were flat with no support.. I would stay there again but I really hope they will improves the mattresses.
Room had a musty smell, lobby was good and clean. Staff was kind and attended the continental breakfast well. Laundry room was convenient and on mail floor. They had a pool but we did not use it as the ocean was just minutes away to enjoy.
Great service, clean and well taken care of. Staff at check in gives great personal service. The breakfast buffet was very good and kept it stocked well. The pool was clean and rooms was very good. Loved the whirlpool in the room.
We stayed here for one night in one of the whirlpool rooms. We found the room to be clean, and management helpful. The pool area looked nice as well. Breakfast was good also. Would recommend to others :-)
Hotel was extremely clean! The bath tub looked brand new & I'm pretty sure it wasn't. The staff was very nice & helpful. Good location, with places to walk to. The free breakfast was adequate. Nice pool. Will stay her again!
We arrived on a Saturday morning and stayed til Tuesday! Little less than 5 minute drive from the beach. The staff are so very friendly and helpful. I would recommend to anyone who is in the area staying for a couple of days!
My husband and I stayed here during an anniversary getaway in May 2016. We were vacationing and touring the Beaufort, Morehead City and Atlantic Beach areas, but I was intrigued by the GREAT cost of this hotel and decided I'd prefer to stay here and drive over to the coast. We are glad that we did! We didn't take advantage of the pool (too cold) or the breakfast, but our room was VERY clean and very comfortable. The bathroom was especially comfortable even for a long soak after a day of walking. My only complaint is that there is obviously not enough parking here, as you are told when you check in that you may have to park in the adjoining Dunkin Donuts parking lot. I am probably just being picky, but it's hard to feel that my car is safe when it's so far from the hotel, etc. We got back late one evening after a community theatre performance and had to walk quite some distance (me in high heels!), so that was mildly irritating. But overall, I have decided to stay here again when we next visit the area! Thanks!
I always use this Best Western for business as I travel to the area as I do numerous times a year. it is near the beaches when I have time to enjoy them. It is also centrally located for travel throughout the many small coastal towns and communities. The staff are very nice and friendly and have local knowledge for trip suggestions.
We stayed over one night. Not a bad little hotel. Clean, good shower. It's a little dated. Very nice staff. Good location to access Emerald Isle and other sights. It's worth it to visit Swansboro while you're in the area. Also a short drive to the Aquarium. It was a great weekend!
Birthday Party for my neice. Wanted to spend the day at the beach and attend party close by. So happy to go to sleep in a great bed. No smoking rooms nice bath. I even had a jetted tub. didn't get to use it maybe next time.
We had a great time at this hotel. Only problem was that the vent in the shower didn't work and the toilet overflowed and no one was there to fix it til 9am but other than that we had no problems at all.
The room was spacious and the staff was helpful and very gracious. Every member of the staff was smiling and willing to provide advice and service. My wife and I were very pleased with the experience and will return when we are in this area. A truly clean, modern, and wonderful hotel.
Stayed 2 nights to do some kayaking at state park. Friendly check-in. Did not interact with any other staff. We had a room that faces the main road, so there is road noise, but if you run the room air most will be drowned out. It did not bother us. The interior is a little worn around the edges, but is clean. The lobby area between breakfast area and elevator smelled of cigarettes, but our room did not smell of smoke and was clean. Plenty of towels, large screen TV, refrigerator, microwave, wi-fi. Everything that a chain hotel should have. I thought our rate was very reasonable. Includes the basic continental breakfast with cereal, waffles, various breads and spreads, and biscuit sandwiched that you heat-up in microwave. There is a pool which we did not use and a small workout gym. You can get your coffee fix with the Dunkin Donuts next door. I would definitely stay here again.
I stayed at the Best Western twice this month and have loved my stay every time! The employees are very friendly and accommodating, the rooms are nearly spotless (high dusting was missed on some frames, but everything else was perfect), beds were comfortable, and the rooms were very quiet all night and morning. The only complaint I have is that I kept running into the little clothes hanger on the back of the bathroom door, and now my arms have identical bruises. Other than that, though, this place is perfect, and whenever I visit Camp Lejeune or Emerald Isle, I'll stay here.
We were greeted by the most delightful woman at the reception. Our room was specious, clean and the bed was extremely comfy. Wifi worked brilliantly and the coffee and hot chocolate available all the time was great. Breakfast was basic but adequate. Thought this was a fantastic place to stop on our journey.
Enjoyed our stay at the Best Western Swansboro. Very clean hotel. Staff was very friendly. Great breakfast which was consistently refreshed throughout our time in the breakfast area each morning. I would definitely stay here again.
We have stayed here every spring & fall for 12 years. The hotel is always clean. The staff friendly and the room prices reasonable. Rooms on the back side of the hotel are quite. Cedar point location puts in an easy drive to Beaufort, Morehead City, Emerald Isle or Camp LeJeune/Jacksonville. They serve a continental breakfast. If you want a hot breakfast a Dunkin Donuts is right next door!!
Traveling north along the NC coast, it was after dark, we had been driving all day and were ready to stop...but after seeing dozens of motels 40 miles further south, they dried up...until we saw this Best Western looming in the night. It was a Monday night so we had a great rate--off season along the Crystal Coast--with a nice clean room, excellent--and friendly--staff and service, and a nice breakfast the next morning. What's not to like?
The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We saw housekeeping constantly cleaning rooms and the common area. I also enjoyed being able to grab a cup of coffee any time of the day.
Suzette checked us in and was very friendly, yet professional and she was helpful in suggesting nearby restaurants. Our room was super clean; the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was average. The only thing I didn't like is that they didn't have prepared hot items. They did have sausage biscuits and muffins with eggs/bacon/cheese that you could microwave, but everything was well-presented and stocked. The hostess in the breakfast area was very helpful and pleasant. The front desk staff always greeted you when you were going in and out. Overall was a nice stay and would definitely recommend this Best Western.
Went to Swansboro with a small child for business. The hotel was so clean and comfortable. The town looked like they wouldn't have a nice hotel. But this Best Western is great! Come here if you want a clean room and breakfast. I will stay here everytime I come through.
The room we got had roaches and unfortunately, the only other rooms available were SMOKER Rooms. Never heard of that so we had to stay and share our space with the critters. After we complained we only got a discount of $30 of our total bill (4 days stay). Really??? Very disappointed. Will not recommend this to anyone. The staff was nice, but seems like they did not know how to handle the situation.
Super Clean and super friendly. The customer service was excellent. The hotel had a great location and easy to find. The beds were very comfortable The coffee was good. we had everything we needed. This was the best Best Western we have ever stayed in.
This is a fairly nice hotel. The rooms are clean and the staff is very accommodating. They even had someone to return after hours to clean my room because of my schedule. The only negative comments are that the front rooms are very noisy, so if you don't want your tv blaring you might want to ask for a room on the backside of the building. Also there is some light construction underway which has interfered with the production of ice. One day there was no ice in the building, which is very poor planning on someones part, and five days later you still have to take a hike. Other than those two inconveniences I am very happy with my stay.
Good place to stay but not really close to stuff. ,comfortable and clean ,no places to eat with in walking distance. Places to eat within about 2 miles. Now if you like donuts there is a donut shop next door. Need a car to get to a good dinner place, Staff very friendly, Lobby decorated nice Coffee available around the clock, nice business center .Staff very friendly and helpful for dinner suggestions.
We stayed there for the Tuna 200 Relay and was very happy with our overall experience. Karen at the front desk was nice and helpful in getting us settled in. We had a room with a jacuzzi tub and it was so appreciated after staying up 31 hours straight. We didn't turn the tv on, but the in-room wifi worked great. The only issue, and it was a minor one, was that the sheets seemed small for the bed, and kept slipping off during the night.
This hotel has a nice central location to everything, staff very friendly and helpful in finding local restaurants for breakfast, dinner, clean room, great on demand television channels, beds were very comfortable, pool was clean and thank goodness still open in October, my grandsons and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Price paid was reasonable. Did not use the free breakfast, but items looked adequate, wifi in room worked very well. Will stay here again in the future.
Good location; handy for the beaches on Emerald Isle and good restaurants at Swansboro. Both 5 mins drive away. Rooms are what you would expect of mid-range Best Western. Clean and tidy. Staff where great; cheerful and helpful. Very much enjoyed our stay at the hotel.
great place to stay, staff was wonderful, hotel excellent. about 20 miles out side of Camp Lejune, Jacksonville, N.C. Nice area. we were visiting my boyfriends son & his family who is a Marine and he was visiting a friend who is also a Marine. we had a wonderful stay at the hotel
Stay here when doing business on the Coast or in Jacksonville! Great service and rates! Clean hotel in great location! Continental breakfast is basic. Very safe place to stay! Great restaurants in Swansboro or across the bridge to Emerald Isle.
This was a nice place to stay- clean, comfortable and safe. The "breakfast" was all carbohydrates which was a disappointment. Go to Yana's in Swansboro for a fantastic breakfast. This Inn is very near the bridge to Emerald Isle so it is very convenient to the beach. I don't know why most places put a king bed in handicap accessible rooms but this was like all I have stayed in. The bathroom had good grab bars. The refrigerator was larger than usual so that was nice. Dunkin Donuts is right next door so good coffee within walking distance. The Inn has coffee round the clock so you don't have to buy a cup of coffee if you don't want to spend your money.
Karen was extremely helpful when I called to make my reservation and took my special needs into account when helping me decide on a room. She was just as helpful when we checked in. Her pleasant greeting and efficient service were about the best I've seen at any hotel. The room was clean and comfortable; the pillow-top mattress bed was a dream. My only suggestion would be to have the front-desk staff prepared to make restaurant suggestions. Even with the menu book in the room, newcomers to the area welcome some interaction about what is closest/best.
