A great hotel close to restaurants great pub white hart if your a tottenham supporter you will appreciate this pub good food, gastown about 20mins away by car interesting place plenty of bargains but look around first

"Glad we stayed"

Stayed here for the first week of October with my wife and parents to watch my daughters play in the U17 soccer nationals. Very helpful staff, clean rooms, delicious hot breakfast. Close to restaurants, groceries, gas, the Skytrain into Vancouver, shopping malls, White Rock, and the Soccer fields. Very reasonably priced and definitely got my money's worth. Highly recommend this hotel and gladly stay again.

"Good facility. Rooms Under Renovation. Breakfast is great."

My family stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. We were visiting family and relatives in the Surrey, Vancouver, and Victoria areas. As you enter the premises, there are enough space for parking. Rooms in the first floor were under renovation when we checked in and therefore it was not as tidy as expected. But, it is good because it means when the reno becomes completed, rooms would become newer and better. Breakfast is great. Price is decent at $100 per night for 4 with 2 queen beds. One thing needs improvement: Hotel management must sound-proof the first floor ceilings because I could hear footsteps from the second floor as early as 4am!

Quiet hotel, except some Harley meeting going on. Very clean, staff very accommodating. Go early for breakfast or find left-overs only. Depending on direction, getting to the parking lot can be somewhat challenging. Might stay again. Mature couple.

"Very Helpful Staff"

We stayed here for 2 nights. To show you why they are helpful, when we checked in, we had 3 different rooms in our party. One of the rooms, the party staying had a difficulty checking in with their card not being accepted. The manager immediately helped the person with the procedure to be accepted. I especially liked the breakfast helper, she was on the ball and friendly as well. Cudos for Taran and all the staff as they made our stay enjoyable.

"Brilliant staff n service : Front desk, Restaurant & House Keeping"

Stayed here for 7 nights. Despite the busy weekend time and almost full occupancy, was arranged an early check-in by the very courteous and smiling front desk team. Restaurant spread is good, especially Taran and Manni, who greet everyone over there with a smile and ensure you've a good breakfast time. The house keeping staff are a group of ladies, who're very sweet and they do a fantastic job in making up your room. The location is perfect, next to a no. Of good restaurants and super markets as well for your daily needs. Neat, clean and super quiet rooms. Look forward to staying here in future visits. Thanks team Best Western King George, Surrey. This establishment is clean and quiet. We stayed two days on our visit of Vancouver and Whistler. It was easy to find on a major road. The staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast had the usual selections and was kept well stocked by the attendants. It is 17 miles from Vancouver and as long as you are not traveling during rush hours the travel time is reasonable.

Nice Hotel, they need to upgrade diamond elite members automatically without forcing us to ask. Taran and Manni in the breakfast area were the best. They really know how to take care of customers and provide excellent customer service.

Unfortunately with upgrades we cannot do them automatically as sometimes 2 beds is a requirement for the guest and all of our upgraded rooms are only suites which provide one bed and one pullout sofa bed. We always need to confirm first if the upgraded room will work for the guest. Sometimes it does not and we would never want to have that affect our guest's stay. "A great suburban motel"

The motel has easy access to transit to downtown Vancouver, while also having free parking and easy road access. The free breakfast is a robust motel breakfast and they are not in a rush to close it down. (They also keep the juice and cereal open 24 hours for midnight cravings.) The indoor pool is small but good enough for some family fun. (For a workout, the gym would be a better bet.) The convenience store next door sells transit day passes. The bus stop to Vancouver is on the opposite street corner from the motel. The bus runs frequently and connects to two Skytrain stations. The A/C worked fine - and was easy to turn off. The location is south of Vancouver and easily accessible from the US border. The motel makes no pretensions about being a luxury hotel, but as a suburban motel, it does an excellent job.

We stayed in this hotel as part of a 2 day stop-over in the greater Vancouver area on the way to Washington state. Our great experience started with the great hotel staff upon check-in and continued with the clean, updated rooms, good breakfast and the wonderful team in the breakfast room. The staff is truly what made our stay great. It's near many amenities in Surrey (gas station, bank, grocery store, etc.) and conveniently located if you're driving down to Washington state.

"Nicely done"

We stayed here for four nights while visiting the Vancouver area. The room was clean, and quiet. The A/C unit actually seemed to work which was nice. (Most places I stay the unit doesn't monitor the temperature.) The staff were very nice, and ready to help. The breakfast was good, but maybe a notch below other BW's we've stayed at. The WiFi was great at 17 Mbps. The only negative thing was the $200 damage deposit. I've never had to pay this staying at a hotel, and wasn't told upfront about it. It didn't give me warm fuzzies about my fellow travelers, either.

Nice hotel ,easy access to skytrain to downtown. All staff helpful and friendly. Breakfast was standard hotel chain type but plenty of choice and good quality, always topped up before anything ran out

"Quiet room and a hot breakfast at a reasonable price made our trip easier."

The room was okay for me (my wife does house keeping and has a more acute eye), the room location was quiet, parking was limited but adequate and the hot breakfast Taran and Manni put out was a good start to our day. Overall a reasonably good package at a fair price.

"Good hotel"

Front desk staff was great. Parking is very tight in this parking lot. Our room overlooked the 24 hour doughnut shop beside the hotel so it was noisy up to about 11pm. Busy street to get out on. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast and very crowded when we went down.$240.00 canadian

The front desk staff was unbelievably friendly, articulate, professional and courteous. Special mention to Amanpreet. He went out of his way to help us figure out how best to spend two days in Vancouver. The ladies in the breakfast dining area, Taran and Bonnie, were both amazingly helpful and kind. We really appreciated their service. Please convey our special regards to Taran. She was so genuine in her approach! Would definitely stay at the hotel if I ever visit Vancouver, BC again.

"The start of our BC trip"

We chose this hotel for its location as it was only a 20 minute drive to where we needed to be on a daily basis in New Westminister. We were given a great welcome by a young gentleman whose name I didn't get (but he was a snazzy dresser!). The rooms were very good and clean etc, Breakfast was good and had 2 very helpful ladies in there Taran and Bonnie who went out of their way to assist you and be friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

I was in Surrey BC, on pleasure trip, as I travel to Surrey every year with family. We stayed in Best western king George inn & suites, Surrey, BC which was listed within the guide as their best rooms for travellers. The room overlooked very clean, quiet & comfortable As I stayed in Best Western my last three trip, it's in best location. There are couple of restaurants, gas stations and other daily needs store around the hotel. The maid ensured my room was immaculate on daily basis and receptionist was very friendly and also extremely helpful. I was impressed by all of the staff within the hotel, really good breakfast with variety of stuff and I noticed a staff named TARAN in the breakfast place was really helpful, attentive and was timely handling the requests. Thanks to all for their hospitality. I highly recommend to stay in this hotel

My room was clean & ready when I arrived.Loved the pool & hot tub. Aman at the front desk was very friendly & helpful. He also suggested some restaurants & places to check out. Enjoyed my breskfast here. Thanks to Taran who was so friendly & made sure breakfast was well served.

Had a problem finding a good hotel with reasonable rate in a location to all our activities until I found this Best Western. Good location, clean room, and we received a complimentary upgrade. The breakfast was you typical buffet, but we met a lovely hostess, Taran. Very sweet made me laugh.

Location was good - handy to city, BC ferry and border. Shops and restaurants close by. Thai restaurant right next door. Reception staff friendly and efficient. Rooms were clean. Indoor pool was warm and very clean, jacuzzi lovely and gym well equipped. Our room had a well stocked kitchenette; stove top, microwave, sink, coffee maker as well as necessary crockery, cutlery, utensils and other cooking equipment to be self catering. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Writing desk, chair and desk lamp were good. Plenty of free parking.

We stayed here for the second time two nights ago. Very welcoming when checking in. Clean, comfortable rooms. Fitness Center and swimming pool and jacuzzi. The full breakfast was really a hit as well with husband and grandson. Will continue to make it a stop over.

"Employee Taran was the best!"

I stayed here from June 24-27th 2018 while visiting family. Taran was the server at the complimentary morning buffet and she was exceptional! You could tell that she enjoyed what she does because she was genuine, present, gracious and most helpful. For me, Taran made the experience, as did the young man at the front desk, although I don't remember his name. I could've used more amenities in my room such as a better movie selection option and snacks. The beds were very comfortable, however!

"Excellent hotel"

This property is an excellent example of the chain it belongs to. Good staff. Great service. Clean. The only negative was noise from floor above but not something easily controlled by staff. The breakfast free and plentiful with a good selection.

"Great time in Canada and Oregon"

Great location in Canada, town of Surrey is not far from Vancouver and Ferry terminals. Location of Best Western was easy to access many sites and come back to a nice and quite location for a end of day relaxation. Taran does a fantastic job of taking care of you in the dining room and front desk staff are all great!

"Third time = constitency!"

For the third time, I stayed for one week while working in the area. As a Best Western, there were no surprises or unmet expectations. All renovations going on last time were competed and all amenities available. As the last times, I enjoyed the handwriting notes left by the housekeeping team. Nice thing to come back to after a days work. I still wish there had been extra power outlets at the desk and nightstand lamp bases like most BW hotels do. I was told last time that those were in the reno plans but none were in my room. Next I have to be in Surrey, I will not hesitate to book here again.

"Family Wedding"

ALL of the BW staff were ahhmazing both before and during our stay. Taran and Bonnie helped make our breakfast extra pleasant helping us with the waffle machine plus ensuring we had everything we needed. Unfortunately the rooms are not sound proof...people walking by in the hall speaking in normal voices felt like they were in our room with us. Added to this the BW was full of very noisy, badly behaved young adults who were attending a weekend music festival...thinking that knocking on doors at 2am was funny, racing up and down the halls, jumping and dancing in their room above our heads...not the hotel's satff's fault but, again, not sound proof. To repeat...all BW staff were ahhmazing!

We stayed here as part of a family wedding group and they were very accommodating. The staff are so friendly and pleasant and try to do everything to help. The beds were comfy and we found our room quite quiet. Room was clean, ready early and good coffee. Breakfast was good, a bit of everything to start your day.

"Friendly, Clean and Great"

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel. As predicted our one bedroom queen suite was very clean. The lighting is great in all rooms. The staff are all so amazing and go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. A special thank you to Radika who made our reservation. She was a super lady! Also the breakfast at this hotel is highly recommended. Lots of variety. The two ladies in the breakfast nook, Taran and Bonnie were polite, helpful and greeted every person. We will be back again and highly recommend this hotel.

"First visit and stay in Bc"

Their concierge room service and hotel parking everything is very accommodating and at a great comfort level things are available. But what I loved the most is their breakfast timings and their specialized breakfast attendants. Taranjit Kaur (Taran) at BW king george inn is an asset to have. She really has utmost of patience friendliness and has excellent communications and interpersonal skills and a great attitude and appetite for humble customer service. Their Receptionist Radhika is very helpful in terms of coupons and suggestions for tours and adventures. I would love to stay there with my family always. It's a very baby/child friendly place and in the center of attractions such as bear creek park etc. Taran has a lot to advice share and make the place feel like home. I wish there are breakfast attendants like her everywhere I go.

"Tranquil place in surrey"

My 1st time in canada and I choose Best western hotel because of a nice review.. I arrived in their hotel almost late night near the road and fully book however I already have my pre room book with Traveloka ..This place is Indian community moreover some staff where indian too..My room is 2 queen bed with full of bathroom amenities .. the housekeepers were so polite and dont go inside your room without your permission.. Continental breakfast with waffles and bacon or beef patties in the morning .. they have 24/7 juices , coffee and water .. I love this place eventhough its 5 -10 minutes from guilford mall and surrey central . It is 1 n a half hour from airport thru the skytrain and bus .. my place is near a laundry area a donnut resto and many more ..I almost stay outside and due to the affinity of bus stop i have no problem going around vancouver.. Aircon is ok and I hardly use it because its cold..I cannot ask for more best western is one of the best hotel I have reviewed.. staff were great ..

Excellent Accommodations!! Excellent Staff!! Excellent Breakfast!!! Super clean and 4 Star comfy rooms My wife Deborah & I ( My son Matthew & wife Vanessa) enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay to attend my late Father's Memorial Service & Celebration of His Life on The recent Father's Day weekend June 15-17th Our stay experience exceeded our expectations in every way and we'd highly recommend Best Western King George Surrey to families without reservation! Very quiet and comfortable overnight stay. The breakfast room was spacious, clean and well provisioned. Really want to mention hostesses Taran and Bonnie in the breakfast room for their great service. We were impressed!

We always stay here when we visit Surrey and have always enjoyed our stay. We recently stayed here again in June 2018. Excellent professional always helpful staff, few names include Shane and Arjun among others. Arjun went above and beyond, took time to guide us with directions/food and as needed. In addition, the day shift manager would inquire about the comfort of the stay. They genuinely care about their customers and the input provided. We spent 2 nights and 3 days. We had booked additional rooms for our friends and their families. The experience and comfort of the rooms was >5 star as always. Our friends and their children enjoyed the gym amenities, with comfortably sized hot tub and children-friendly-pool, not to forget the delicious breakfast which includes gluten free items upon request, which Taran was helpful with. Our friends were thankful to us to expose them to this wonderful stay experience and will be staying here when ever they visit Surrey. The location is central and conveniently located to meet our needs. Most importantly we love their friendly caring service and staff. That was why we chose to entertain our friends here. We would definitely recommend staying here, rating >5 Stars and 10/10.

"Excellent place to stay"

Our stay at the Best Western King George in BC was beyond wonderful.We are a large family of 6 and were residing at the hotel for 10 days and every minute of our stay was well cared for. The staff are friendly, helpful, and truly understood the meaning of customer service. The continental breakfast was always a great selection of quality foods including bacon/sausage, eggs, and waffles. There is always coffe, tea, and juice available at any hour. The pool, hot tub, gym, and laundy on sites made the stay so much more comfortable when the bc weather was not the most cooperative. When it came to our children the staff were amazing but the most amazing was the ability to function almost normaly without intruding on other guest or feeling intrusion ourselves. Besides the elevator and lounge it was like we were the only ones there (on alteast 4 of the 10 nights the facility had no vacancy durring the Cloverdale rodeo) The location was out of the hustle and bustle of downtown but still close to many things for the family (Bear creek park was our recomend to all place of note) and travel to the big tourist sites was actually very easy with the highway and road systems throughout BC. Id would say it was it best choice of the many hotels we looked at if your traveling with kids. I want to end with perticular mention of a few of the staff who went above and beyond with service. Radhika did a wonderful job handling the administrative part of our stay even when an unexpected hold on our credit card occured (be advised to warn your bank of travel so they dont suspect unusual expences freezing the card in case of fraudulent activity) The 2 gentleman working the desk whom i did not get a name for (one seems to be full time week nights and another who had just started while we were there yet preformed as if employed there for years)made our stay very welcoming like staying with family but better. And Taran who really personalized the breakfast experience, even going so far to make and serve the waffles for you. Her and the others never skiped a beat to step in and help when one of my 3 young ones would spill something. I never really got to meet the cleaning staff but when passing they always said hi and asked how things were or if they could help in any way. There was one younger lady that that i saw often as we were heading out i wish i got her name but she always had a smile and the room looked spectaular after our return (even the toys were put neatly in the spot i had designated for them) I am the last person to send in a positive review as i believe that if employed in customer service you have choosen to provide your best service to you customer. My stay here brought back my faith in the service industry in which standards are definatly slipping. Thank you and safe travels to all Heidi

Taran, the young woman working the breakfast was so friendly and helpful. I recently discovered I have Celiacs so eating is all new for me. I asked Taran what was gluten free? She went to the back and brought me muffins and bread. I took a muffin. She then came over to our table and asked how everything was and if I wanted more muffins or anything. We appreciated her service and friendliness. Usually the staff at hotel breakfast set ups just refill and clean! We would defiantly stay here again! Clean large comfortable room, handy location and friendly helpful staff. It was a wonderful stay. Nice to have a hot tub too!!

"Comfy Stay"

The room was clean and fully stocked. The staff were great, from the desk to the clean staff, they were all polite and friendly. Bed was so comfortable, we had a great quiet sleep. It is a busy location but staff are vigilant to keep a watchful eye out of its premises. Breakfast was offered as part of our stay, but it wasn't very good ... however, there are other options close by.

we spent almost a week and the stay is no-prob event. Hotel is a little far away from downtown Vancouver, but the breakfast is good with many choices worth the saving. Staff very helpful, especially Taranjit of the cafeteria

Hotel was very clean and ideal for a family/business accomodation. Staff were exceptionally friendly, professional, and efficient. Kudos to the General Manager, Jenni-Lynn who helped me to facilitate my billing problems and the hospitality and warmth of Taran in the breakfast room. My family and I had an amazing time at this hotel while visiting Vancouver. Every staff, from the cleaning personnel to the manager always had a smile on their face and were extremely friendly and made us feel welcome. The fitness center and pool are great. The breakfast gets the whole family off to a great start with great options.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Best Western King George. The room was clean and the staff was friendly and helpful! The hotel is located in a nice family area with plenty of shopping, restaurants and mini-marts all around. Located just a 30 minute drive to downtown Vancouver and only eight miles from the beach in White Rock! Breakfast was better than average. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel offers great value and wonderful service. Bit of driving to do if going into Vancouver but close to lots of shopping, Tsawwasen Ferry and easy navigation. We always stay here when making a quick trip to the area because of availability and value.

Do consider the Best Western King George Inn and Suites if you need accommodations in the Surrey (Vancouver) area. This appealing and immaculate (and nicely decorated) Best Western gives excellent value for your travel dollars. In addition, the "check in" staff are polite, efficient and pleasant to interact with. All questions were accurately answered and several ( good) ideas for restaurants provided. The breakfast provided is adequate as per most BW hotels. The air conditioning system is excellent and will (actually) keep you cool if necessary. The bed was extremely comfortable and the rest of the suite more than met our needs. We will definitely return (might go slightly out of our way to return to this particular BW in Vancouver) and, I have no hesitation in recommending the BW King George to others.

I was very satisfied with my stay, except (and this is not exclusive to Best Western hotels) the continental breakfast was not very inspiring and the only option was to use disposable plates and cutlery, creating a lot of waste. Also no organics compost bin was provided for food / biodegradable items that should be diverted from the landfill.

The King George In and Suites is a comfortable inn in the heart of Surrey, BC. The room was very comfortable with a kitchenette, separate bedroom and a living room. Nice décor, comfortable bed were all plusses. The room's situation near the HVAC system was a bit of a drawback.

It was a very good deal for the money. Location is great. Staff is very friendly. Room was clean. Our room had a full fridge and cooktop. We really enjoyef our stay and would recommend this hotel whole heartedly to any one. We will certainly stay here on our next trip.

Stayed here while a very dear friend was speaking at a conference. Very good, friendly service. From the time we walked in all staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was clean and nice decor. The continental breakfast was good with lots of selection. Although I wasn't there until 9:30 and only two apples left for fresh fruit. IF, I had of been earlier, likely the fruit selection would have been better. Also, it was very busy at that time. So happy to have been able to stay in a friendly, safe and comfortable place close to our conference. ??

Totally awesome hotel, with exceptional staff throughout. Even arranged some alterations needed on Easter Sunday. Wished we could have stayed throughout the competition. Great rooms, comfortable beds, breakfasts changed daily...... Would definitely recommend this motel!!

"Great Staff, Average Hotel"

The staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Nikki was the best! The rooms was fine, but a little small for two people staying for 9 days. Not enough places to hang things, if you get my drift. The breakfast was adequate and filling, although I came to dread sausage morning. The pool and the exercise room are small. The jacuzzi was great. The hotel is on a main, very busy thoroughfare. You need a car. There is not much within walking distance. Two eateries close by that were very good: The Lighthouse, good Indian fare and Veggie Pizza, very good veggie pizzas with an Indian flavouring in the sauce. This hotel would be good for a one or two night stay.

"Wonderful service and great hotel "

We were checked in quickly, they helped us find a patio restaurant, the beds were comfy, they were just as helpful at 3am when we needed hot water and at breakfast when we needed a knife to cut an apple. The hotel was sold out and so quiet even with our room across from the pool and great workout room. Thanks for making it a home away from home while we visited with family.

"Friendly and Caring Staff"

My brother, who is physically challenged with early signs of dementia recently spent 2 nights at the Best Western Hotel. I was so impressed with the patience, genuine caring and professionalism of the staff who helped him, especially Aman and Shawn at the front desk and Amy in the dining area. When they heard he was challenged they moved him to the ground floor, close to the desk and breakfast room. They helped him countless times, answered all his many questions and were extremely kind and understanding. The suite is exceptional value for the price, I was surprised it was so inexpensive. Thank you for all your help.

"Decent stay but questionable location"

I recently stayed one night at the BW King George Inn & Suites. The rooms were on the small side but clean and the beds and pillows were comfy. The staff were efficient and helpful. They provide a hot breakfast with all the usual fixings. Breakfast started at 6:30 am which was nice for early starters. It seemed to be a working man's hotel. Good value for the money. My only concern is the location on a load, busy street in a bad part of Surrey. Travelling as a single, women, I did not feel comfortable walking to nearby restaurants. There were a few options but I elected to eat in my room. In the past I have been accosted by criminal elements in that location.

"Excellent value and amenities"

Took a chance booking this hotel for the first time and it couldn't have worked out better. Location was perfect and only a short walk away from my business purpose for the trip. A welcomed and free upgrade to a suite made preperations for the class I was teaching a comfortable experience. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of restaurants and other stores within a very short walk.

Had some quick business in the area. Great location lots of shopping and eateries in the area. Coffee in the room (Keurig sp?) and waffles for breakfast made the day. Excellent location for Surrey and New Westminster good access and egress to all major routes.

Hotel staff always a genuine smile. Very accommodating and helpful. They treated us like we were someone very important.Don't get that a lot from all hotel staff in other hotels.Liquor store across the street has free delivery (We didn't use this though as non drinkers) Grocery stores and shopping close by with a vehicle

We have stayed here so many times, we are very familiar with the staff, rooms, breakfast routine and cleaning staff. We are always happy to check-in at the BW Surrey, King George Inn and Suites. We visit family in Delta so will stay at this hotel again.

"nice and quiet "

not only is BW king george nice and quiet, it is also accessible to SMH and YR centre, close also to shopping mall. the breakfast room is roomier now maybe because the renovation is done. i like it that they followed up on me when i failed to check in on the day that i was expected (i missed my flight), before cancelling my reservation. the reviews about the staff being nice is accurate. the place is modest almost like a home where you can just relax. the rooms are neat and clean and spacious. well recommended for the more mature crowd.

Room was not clean. Sheets and curtains were wrinkled. Paint stains on the bathroom floor. With some care this could be an excellent location. I was disappointed with cleanliness of the room. I stayed in a single queen suite.. I find the The majority of best western hotel is extremely acceptable I try to use best questions hotels exclusively and I travel a lot. I will however avoid this hotel at all costs

Second time staying here. No complaints at all! Awesome bed and pillow. Very freindly staff. Room was modern and clean. Keurig coffee maker and microwave in room. Vending machine by elevator on 3rd floor. We will return.

We needed accommodation close to the Surrey Memorial Hospital, and this excellent venue was perfect. Although there is no restaurant or bar on site, 'Chilies' Thai cuisine next door was superb. The hotel serves a full breakfast near the lobby which we appreciated before we checked out. Very good value indeed!

Almost every one assisted me and made it possible to get back to the airport the following day. The King George Hotel in Surrey B.C. [lower mane land is very convenient to the Vancouver area.Also close to the U.S. border

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights during thanks giving weekend of 2017. Hotel is conveniently located. Decent parking space available and parking is free. We liked the free breakfast as well. Wi-fi is free We are very pleased with the excellent customer support provided by the front desk people. They take the extra mile to ensure that you are comfortable and your needs are met. We are especially impressed with the front desk manager Nicki Grewal, who went out of the way to help us with our car rental issue that had to be addressed immediately but we were in a rush to fly back to the US. Thanks Nicki. We know where we would be staying during our next visit to BC :)

"King Suite with Kitchenette"

Stayed in a King Suite with kitchenette. 4 element Stove top, no oven, apartment sized fridge. Fed VBall team out of the kitchenette. Clean and comfortable rooms and amenities, decent hot breakfast -nothing fancy but does the job while on the road. Staff helpful and accommodating as tournament schedule (and thus departure) was unknown when checking in. Would recommend.

Great free breakfast and staff and great location but can be a bit noisy due to road traffic as on busy street. But staff were very friendly and helpful and free breakfast great with an excellent selection of pastries(almond croissant was excellent) and crisp bacon, yummy eggs and waffles.

Able to book reservation over phone the morning of, they had room and I didn't have to talk to a call center in some random city somewhere else. Location is ok. Mid Surrey. Room was normal hotel room, clean, soft bed. TV a tad old, channels where spread out so not one after another like normal cable TV. Jail like lobby door system to get in. Nice check in staff, check out no so. Breakfast was a limited spread but enough to start your day. Over all not bad. Worth the dollar value.

While the room was spacious and generally quiet, small things were irritants - Cheerios on carpet behind room door entire stay - Ironing board would not stay in full upright locked position - TV Remotes are basic models, one in bedroom not fully operational

Easy check in, clean room, comfy bed, soft linen, used the pool and Gym, breakfast was surprisingly good, a variety of breads and pastries, good juice, waffles and cereals. Staff in breakfast area were super helpful.

A comfortable room and very professional staff. The queen suite has a separate bedroom and living area - very clean even if the decor is a little dated. I appreciate having a fridge and microwave in the room and groceries and shops are a short drive away. The breakfast is fine - very typical of the Best Western standard (two hot choices of egg and sausage or bacon, breads, croissants, danishes, waffles, fruit, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, juices, etc). In room internet was great. The location is on busy King George highway in Surrey. Very accessible if you are travelling from Vancouver. airport or the ferry.

A clean and comfortable room, friendly staff and great internet. The breakfast is fine if you like bread, danish croissants, cereal, waffles with some hot egg and bacon or sausage. Fruit available is apples, oranges and bananas. Also cold items like yogurt and hard boiled eggs, coffee, hot chocolate, tea.

Rooms were clean, staff were professional and experience was good all around. I started laundry about 0.5h before my shift and wasnt dry by the time i left and the staff went out if there way to help and brought my cloths to the room

"Average hotel"

Best Western King George Inn & Suites, Surrey, is a good hotel to stay if you want to be near the border crossing has a good breakfast with a good 24 hour supply of drinks. The only issue I have is the $100 removed of a credit card until you check out which creates an internarial transaction cost and several days to show it has been reimbursed back into your account.

Sometimes depending on the type of card, the holds can take longer to release than others. Unfortunately when the credit cards used are international the holds can take even longer to release. This stay was fantastic! The bed was absolutely comfy, the breakfast items were delicious from hot and cold choices, the location wasn't too bad to drive out to Vancouver each day, the amenities inside the room and within the hotel were fantastic, and the staff, Joyce the breakfast attendant and housekeeping ladies were fantastic at their jobs, sweet and hardworking ladies!!! We had an AMAZING experience overall in Canada!!

"Clean, comfortable, great service"

New décor in the immaculate room was very pleasant. Bed was comfy with a variety of pillows (fat and thinner). Room was far from elevator on quiet side of building as I had requested, so very quiet. Breakfast had a variety of options, though nothing but an apple for a healthy vegan option. Service was very friendly and helpful. Building is under renovation so exercise room was temporarily unavailable (Oct 14 2017). Location is on a fairly busy street, but backs on a residential neighbourhood. Not bad for a walk. Selected for proximity to a genealogy conference.

"Surrey business trip"

Great location on King George Hwy. GREAT PRICE. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Room were quiet even though they faced a major road. Close to hospital. Breakfast was God. Only wish they used real brewed coffee.

"Great place for a short break."

Stayed here for 3 nights and had no problems. The hotel was clean and the staff were polite and friendly and plenty of food to choose from in the breakfast area. Lots of places nearby to go out and get something to eat and a couple of Golf Courses nearby as well if you like to play Golf.

"Breach of guest privacy"

Housekeeping entered my room while I was working, without permission and without knocking. They said they were showing the room to another guest. Front desk just said "it doesn't happen here", and after a month, Best Western is refusing to acknowledge the incident. Seriously disappointed at how this serious breach of guest privacy has been handled.

Our housekeeper was only going to your room next to clean it and she was not aware that other guests of ours were behind her trying to peer in and see the room type you had. She was not assisting the guests at the time and was not aware they were doing this. I can appreciate though that from your point of view it did look differently. The hotel is a bit old, the lobby rather tired, poor lighting in the suites, but the bed made up for everything! I had the best sleep!! Tried to stay a second night just for the bed, but they were booked. Pretty good comp breakfast too.

"Best Western"

This hotel was WONDERFUL in every way. They even have Gluten Free breakfast items. We were here for an ASL convention. The staff was extremely helpful for all the elderly, deaf, and even were learning signs (ASL) to help communicate. The food was great. A very nice variety for breakfast. The rooms were wonderful! We had a wonderful stay!!!

Very nice hotel with an excellent, fresh breakfast! The rooms are very nice, clean and spacticous. The décor is comfortable too. In room coffee and fridge were also available. The location is pretty good for getting into New West, Burnaby, Langley and Port Coquitlam. I highly recommend

"Don't try to check in Early"

I arrived after 7hrs of driving at 1:00pm ~ the desk clerk advised that check in was 2:00pm. I told her that I had an appointment at 3:00pm and that it would be great if I could get in early ~ I also had a broken foot so I was hoping to have a bit of a rest before my 3:00pm appointment. The desk clerk stuck rigidly to the 2:00pm check in..... As much as the hotel was conveniently located I will be finding a different place to stay next time

I stay here several times a year, and this Best Western always exceeds expectation when it comes to their very friendly staff. Desk staff are always helpful, and housekeeping are always smiling and greeting everyone as they work. I also get lovely notes from them in my room thanking me for my business. this is a great place to be and easy to get to ferry terminal to Vancouver Island or travell to U.S. Lots of amenities close by or a short drive away. Major shopping withing 15 minutes or take Hwy 99 into airport or metro Vancouver.

I stayed here a year or so ago and the improvements are a noticeable and welcome. Very friendly front desk staff with a seemingly genuine desire to know how the stay is being perceived. A very good value fro the price point but unless they replace the old lumpy pillows, I suggest you being your own. I will be back.

Our experience with The King George Hotel was exceptional. Clean, renovated rooms. Excellent customer service. Great continental breakfast. Beds are comfortable. They go over and beyond to help you out with any questions and to make you feel very comfortable and welcome at the hotel. We especially liked Aman who worked at the front desk. He certain knows and understands GREAT customer service.

I am very surprised by this hotel. The girl at the check in was extremely nice and helpful. She gave us all tips and advice for our trip and I think many 5 star hotels should learn this. The most important thing is service. I received better service than any other hotels I have stayed before. The room was really clean and the shower was impecable. The breakfast is included and it was good. I highly recommend this hotel if you visit the area.

Good hotel with usual amenities including a pool. Breakfast included in price. Staff is excellent and rooms are clean, beds comfortable (and I'm fussy).Not much to see in the immediate area and on a busy intersection. However, bus stops across the street and it is a short distance from there to the SkyTrain station - a great way to be in downtown Vancouver without the high cost of staying there.

near surrey memorial hospital where i visited a sick friend. there's subway and restaurants across the street. coffee and juices are 24 hours at the breakfast room. continental breakfast offered. close to the malls.

What a single word can describe a best hotel team. Good.better.the best. awesome.excellent or fabolous . Great Front desk Jenny and Aman. Good Healthy Breakfast with Preeti was welcoming too. "Good hotel overall"

Checked into this hotel on Labor Day and liked it for the most part. Checkin was good and easy, nice room and comfortable beds. The only two downsides to this hotel was that on the 3rd floor the air conditioning was not on in the hallway so it was quite warm since it was 30 degrees outside. the other thing was the breakfast wasn't the greatest experience, the breakfast room was being used for storage of random things making it more crowded, the breakfast choices were not as good as most best westerns that I've been to. But I would stay here again

I stayed for 2 nights August 3&4.Easy check in/out.Courteous,happy staff.Outstandingly clean,comfortable room #218.Also very quiet as requested.I had a restful stay and found it an easy drive to Steveston harbour via Hwy 99 for a day trip.Also the convenience of the tasty complimentary continental breakfast and the in suite kurig coffee made this hotel perfect for me.I will return and have already recommended to friends.Christine.

Were able to get early check in. The room was pleasant and bed very comfy. Next day breakfast was excellent. Hot food with constant replenishing. Good wifi access and that first morning coffee hit the spot. We always stay at Best Western

"Good Economy Hotel. Location is the Issue."

The Best Western is a budget hotel, and shows it. It is quite inexpensive by Vancouver standards, though it isn't actually in Vancouver. Location: Its location isn't bad: King George Blvd is a main North-South road in Surrey, with an on/off connection to Highway 99 about 5 km to the south; if you are heading to either the US border or the Tsawassen Ferry the next morning, you can get to either from the Best Western without too much trouble. Getting to downtown Vancouver, however, particularly during rush hour, can be a major headache. Within Surrey, there are several banks with ATMs on 72nd Avenue to either side of King George. There are commercial malls on King George between 72nd and 76th. And there is a convenience store right next door to the hotel. This area is sort of a Little India, so it's a good place to go for Indian food, has at least one Indian bar with some good draught beer, and a budget supermarket with lots of Canadian and Indian foods available. Rooms: are clean, but a wee bit tired and Spartan. The pillows were uncomfortable, but other than that, I had no room complaints. They get positive points for housekeeping. I didn't use WiFi or watch TV, so I cannot comment on either of these. Continental: The breakfast was about par for a budget motel. I've certainly seen worse. Staff: The personnel at the desk, in housekeeping and at the breakfast buffet varied from Good to Excellent, and were mainly Excellent. Management should be complimented, because they've got a very good staff. Bottom Line: Don't expect the Ritz, but I rate this lodging as Good. However, if you are booking a hotel for a week, and going to be working in or focusing your stay on downtown Vancouver, you would be well advised to get a hotel several km closer to the city center. The commute is a killer. TA asked me whether this hotel is "centrally located." Well, for the suburb of Surrey, yes, but for metro Vancouver, no.

I apologize if you were misled to believe we were in close proximity to Downtown Vancouver. This hotel is like home only better! It's always clean, breakfast made with all the coffee you can drink!! Surrounded with smiling faces from the staff, no matter what time of the day it is. The only disappointing factor is the fitness room is too small.

This hotel was very clean, the staff were very accommodating. There was some renovations going on, but they appeared minimal. They went out of there way to make our stay pleasant even during the renos.

Reasonable size rooms, nice comfortable beds, ground floor rooms have been refurbished whilst first floor rooms are still old and in need of refurbishment. Continental breakfast is average but if you arrive late a lot of the food is finished. When the hotel is full the car park is also full.

This is a a great hotel for a family stay. Staff are very helpful The rooms are well appointed Fitness centre is great close to stores , costco, superstore, bear creek park and trail, surrey arts center. Enjoyed walking along the trail.

"OK for the price"

We recently stayed here in a 1 bedroom suite. The room was clean but very small compared to other suites we have stayed in. Had all the basics. Breakfast was included and was ok. Same as you get in most hotels. Pool and hottub had a little to much chlorine. Overall place was ok.

"Ok Hotel, but poor service"

While check out, I was totally ignored. The attitude the lady performed was not according to industry standard. It's BW. It should be similar to other BW or similar ones. While checking out, she answered phone call, and fron that moment she never looked at me nor communicated neither by verbal or by body language. I was like being already checked out, get off! So bad.

Our recent stay at King George Suites & Inns in Surrey was excellent. We came for a family wedding and our stay at this particular hotel made a world of difference beginning with the well furnished living room which accommodated several family gatherings. The well rounded breakfast offered in the morning was satisfying. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here July 19. We picked this for the location that would be easy to get to. It is a little tricky to get into if you are coming from the South. The property was under some renovations but this was not a problem. The room was quite and comfortable. We had no issues. Breakfast was a little sparse but was adequate. We received a very friendly greeting at check-in as well as a very nice experience checking out. If we were to be in the Surrey area again we would consider staying here again.

The lady named Preeti at breakfast was very nice. Only negative complain I have is breakfast I wish they have hash browns and chicken meat. We do not eat beef and pork. No hashbrowns either, eggs is so tasteless. Above from these everything else was good, coffee and juice all fresh.

Stayed here whilst attending a wedding. Rooms are big and have a separate lounge area with fridge and microwave - the rooms are just too dark! Free breakfast which was good, but polystyrene plates and plastic cutlery. Space was also very limited, often had to wait to get a table. Overall for the price, and if you need to stay in Surrey, can't go wrong.

This BW is in a great location for me when visiting Surrey on business. The staff are awesome! Our suite was a little cramped & dated but everything worked and the bed was comfortable. A/C a bit noisy but again, it worked. There are some updates being made to the hotel, including the work-out room. Breakfast selection of food was OK with attentive staff asking if they should bring more out even though it was almost closing time. Very nice folk running this hotel and very friendly and competent staff.

Good 2 night stay at this place. Pool needed some attention in maintenance so did the hot tub. Limited fare on the breakfast menu offered. Staff were very polite and kind. Ice machine was on the second floor a little inconvenient.

"Nice smaller hotel"

Hotel was undergoing renovations but it was still very nice. We had a small suite on the top floor with a view of the distant mountains. Very quiet. Good locations with restaurants nearby and on a main street. We drove into Vancouver a couple of days and drive not too bad on the weekend.

Stayed here 3 days and overall it was a good stay. Check-in/out was efficient and there was lots of parking. There's no room service but there is a hot continental breakfast. If you want to stay in that area, this is a good hotel to choose.

We enjoyed the indoor pool, but the fitness room need more equipment as other Best Western we have stayed. I could not get the treadmill to work, but I did not report, just used the pool. The room ladies left us a notes which I thought was nice gesture. The breakfast lady was also seem nice. Overall good value. It was our first trip to Canada, we definitely do it again.

"Will Stay Here Again!"

Located on a busy road just a short trip from downtown Vancouver. An excellent option in the crowd of so many hotels and motels in the vicinity. Lobby area was little small but spotless. We stayed here 5 nights and it was surprisingly quite even though they were doing some remodeling. Positives: Clean and inviting Entrance, free parking, free breakfast, free wifi, currency exchange, cheerful front desk and breakfast room attendants. Negative: Pool can use some more cleaning and better filtering system To Management: Check in desk person was very friendly and cheerful(sorry forgot her name but we checked in on 6/24 around 4:00 pm). Checkout (6/29 @ 10:45 am) was a different story with 2 people (may be owners or so) sitting at front desk with most serious facial expressions and no "Thank you" or "please come back". They were just busy checking paper work. These 2 people need some serious Customer Service Training.

We, 5 families with kids, stayed at this hotel for a night. A very nice, comfortable and quiet hotel. Very big and capacious room with AC, free fast wifi and nice breakfast. Great pool. Staff was very helpful and nice.

We have stayed at this hotel every time we travel to Canada. I feel the quality has beeen on a steady decline over the years, but will continue to stay here because it is convenient for us. Hopefully when they finish "ungrading" it will be back to its glory days.

found the hotel rooms etc. good, didn't like the area, too much traffic, also people talking loud late at nite in the hallway, children running and yelling in the halls people at the ice machine at all hours late at nite and early morning would not stay there again

First class service, Rooms are 5 star clean, Location is easy to find with easy parking and lots of it. Pool and exercise room has been totally updated with new equipment hot tub is the perfect temp. Secured parking with video cameras, I totally felt like being at home treated with out standing service every day.

The hotel was in the process of doing upgrades and did all they could to not inconvenience their guests. The room was very clean and in good condition. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of soft absorbent towels. The staff was efficient at check in. Good choice/selection for the free breakfast. Overall, a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel as a good choice to stay.

The staff went out of their way to make my stay great. Breakfast consists of egg patties, sausage patties and a variety of breads and cereals. For later meals in-room delivery from local pizza places or SkiptheDishes is available as well as right across from a Subway, and directly besides a 24hr Macs convenience store. Staff was able to accommodate me for more days than originally planned without trouble.

I was happy with the service. The hotel is under renovation but they made me aware of the fact ahead of time and there are signs everywhere to explain the boxes. The renovation materials were in public spaces but never untidy. No renovation noise disturbed my staff and the service was very good. Breakfast was mediocre but I was happy to have eggs and sausage/bacon available every morning.

Check in took 22 minutes :( Carpet is wrapped in plastic, woke up a few times of night from people walking on plastic... Heater turns on and it sounds like an engine I wouldn't recommend this hotel until they have all their renovations completed

"Nice place to stay."

Stayed for one week while working in the area. As a Best Western, there were no surprises or unmet expectations. There were some renovations going on but these in no way it affected anything except the exercise room. All the equipment was squeezed together (temporary during renos) but the TV was behind. Like other guests shared, I too can't do exercise without the visual distraction. What I really was surprised and enjoyed were handwriting notes left by the housekeeping team. It was a nice thing to come back to after a days work. So much so, I left them one on my last day. Lastly, I wish there had been extra power outlets at the desk and nightstand lamp bases like most hotels do. Perhaps those are in the reno plans. (just got an email from the GM confirming those are in the reno plans and also include usb outlets.) If I have be in Surrey BC in the future, I will hesitate to book here again.

"Great value"

Great price with continental breakfast included, eggs and sausage when we were there with the usual waffle iron (1 only). A good place for teams with a pool and hot tub and close to nearby athletic parks in Surrey. Other than the beds being a bit too firm, we were very satisfied with this hotel.

Seems to be popular with the tourists and out of town workers. Ample parking, continental breakfast and friendly staff. Easy walk to restaurants and a convienience store. Has an indoor pool. Easy access off of King George Blvd south bound and off of 80th Ave west bound. Rooms were very clean. Three storeys.

This hotel was very clean. The employees were helpful, kind, and very accommodating. We had a large group staying together. The breakfast was fresh at all times and kept very clean. The check out was fast. The security on site was comforting. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

"Still very impressed after 5 years of visits."

We have been staying at this hotel at least once a year or more since Nov 2011. This property is very well maintained and our suite very comfortable. New carpeting in the hallways and on going refurbishment of the rooms keeps it current. Great continental breakfast, many more items than the norm. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will keep on our list of coast best stays.

This is our preferred hotel to stay, when ever we visit Surrey/Vancouver, My kids love the infdoor pool and its location is great close to good indo/pak restaurants. Rooms are clean and beds are comfortable.

"Good value for the price"

The room was well appointed. Breakfast was rather good for a hotel buffet. The fitness area was under renovation but had adequate facilities for us. Parking is free. The location is a bit far from most places but there is a good Portuguese restaurant across the street. Housekeeping was rather lax but otherwise it is a good place to stay for a few nights for the price.

"Dirty, dark room"

Usually we like Best Westerns for their consistent quality, cleanliness. This hotel was a big disappointment. Carpet throughout the suite was filthy! Didn't want to walk to the bathroo at night. Bedroom so dark you couldn't see - even with the one lamp on. Breakfast disappointing. Would never stay here again.

Room was spacious and clean awesome mattresses had a great sleep service was excellent and Breakfast was hot and fresh Had important documents shipped to there from California and they were delivered to my room as soon as they arrived The staff was very helpful and polite they were lso very well informed on places to visit and eat and offered to call for reservations if we wanted was very happy and bed was very comfortable made for less stress because we were there to arrange funeral arrangements for a family member

We stayed here for 1 night as it was close-ish to the ferry terminal. The hotel was really good and was accommodating with our request to be on the top floor away from the busy main street. With the window closed we heard hardly any noise. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was good with options of scrambled eggs and bacon with lots of cereal bagels toast yogurt and fruit.

"Exactly what we needed"

The rooms were renovated and clean. Our room had 2 queen beds and a full kitchen. The hot and cold breakfast was excellent and had gluten-free options available. Staff was efficient and courteous. Perfect all around!

The staff was helpful - especially the cleaning staff. Wonderful women- polite, caring, happy, accommodating and friendly. (oh yah... they did a great job cleaning up after us all weekend!!! )The woman who set up the breakfast was so friendly she really made us feel at home. So many great things to say about the staff. The staff seemed friendly and the rooms recently remodeled were clean, but a little dark. The bedroom part of the suite was next to windows and plenty of light, but the center room part of the suite and bathrooms were very dark - even with every light turned on. The hotel is located in a part of town that didn't look too safe. We asked the front desk and they had told us they have security watching the lot on weekend nights. Sounded like they may have had problems. The parking stalls also tend to be a little close together. Tough if you have a big car. We went out to dinner and a show and by the time we got back there were only 3 spots left. We probably wouldn't stay there again because of the location and parking, but if you want a lesser expensive room, there was a value.

"Worst experience ever!! Will not return to this hotel"

My kids and I spent the night at Best Western last Sunday the 2nd of October and checked out on the 3rd. As I checked my visa card transactions yesterday, I noticed that there was a $56+ charge from the hotel. I phoned and talked to Patty asked why I was charged for $56+ she said there was 4 hand towels missing. I was pretty shocked because how can a 4 hand towels missing in the room, then I realized that during our stay my youngest kid spilled water on the carpet so we tried to dry it out using those towels and a couple towels from the pool that we took (these were left in the washroom). Patty advised me to call Jenilyn today which I did. Explained Jenilyn (Front Desk Manager) what have happened, that no one told me that not to put away dirty towels. I told Jenilyn to please ask whoever took the dirty towels in the pool area, so they know that I put the hand towels in the bin. She said it will be very hard for them to track it down, I said only if I knew I would've leave those dirty hand towels in the room.. She is not very nice, cut me off right away, that nothing she can do, am very frustrated as I was charged with something that I didn't even do. She said that next time that happens i could've call the front desk to clean the water spill. Oh really, do I need to really bother front desk for that? If it was a flood then that's totally understandable but I have tried to be nice to each one of the staff so I may return to the hotel in the future. And so after all that useless conversation, I hang up the phone, but called back and asked to speak to a General Manager, Jenilyn said she is as well the general manager. I don't believe her as I have checked the site already and I see the picture of her with a CEO and a GM. Now it all make sense to me that she really doesn't want to help me deal with this issue. So consider this will be my 1st and last stay! Jenilyn doesn't know how to listen to their guests. Very upsetting that I am being charged of something that I didn't do nor take! I work as a branch manager in the bank and in this type of situation management should find a way to provide solutions for every client.

"Loved our stay at the Best Western King George Inn & Suites"

Our son lives in Surrey so we stayed here for the first time. We really enjoyed our visit and were disappointed that we couldn't stay the 2nd evening as they were sold out. We were certainly glad that we had booked well ahead for the one night, I might suggest that if you wish to stay there that you do so also to avoid disappointment. We stayed in a room with a sitting area which I highly recommend. the bed was very comfortable and there was no noise during the night. Breakfast in the morning was everything anyone could want for a complimentary start. Waffles, fresh fruit, juice, cereal, sweet Danish offerings, scrambled eggs, bacon, variety of toast and bagels, and the list goes on. I made mention that the yogurt didn't say what the sugar content was and within minutes the delightful breakfast hostess, Shalini came over with the box for me to read, she is a true delight. Good job Shalini, it is a sign of an employee who truly enjoys her work. Sneed at the front desk helped set up our GPS for us even though he hadn't done it before. What a great place to stop and rest awhile, keep up the good work team.

I spent 2 nights at the King George Inn and suites during a business trip. I found that the room was super warm and the internet was sub-par; however, the breakfast was delicious, the plumbing worked, and the counter staff were pleasant. TL;DR: Good staff and room, bad Wi-Fi.

We booked this hotel because of the price and relative closeness to the Tsawwassen Ferries. We arrived later in the evening after a full day of driving and it was a comfortable quiet stop. The complimentary breakfast was also an added bonus.

My boyfriend and I spent the Labor Day weekend here and it was a really comfortable and pleasant stay! The entire hotel staff was very friendly and warm always smiling and answer all our questions. The breakfast was actually very pleasing as they had a good variety of breakfast foods as sometimes with some places we have stayed we have had to go out to eat breakfast but saved money eating at this hotel. Our room was always cleaned when we came back from our adventures of the day, all we had to do was leave the little sign for the hotel staff to clean the room when we left. We really enjoyed our stay, it was in a great location and we got a bottom floor and there was very rarely any disturbing noises. I would recommend staying at this hotel if you are staying in the Surrey area!

We took a wonderful vacation in Vancouver, BC a year ago and this hotel facilitated that great experience. The guest rooms and the dining area are a little larger than most Best Westerns, but like most properties in this chain everything is really well kept. The layout reminds me of a Springhill Suites by Marriott but slightly smaller. The bed made it possible to get a great night's sleep and the bathroom was very good; great water pressure for the shower and sink. Parking could be a little tricky as they seemed to have a five less parking spaces than they needed but we managed. The area itself is sub-urbanish, many strip malls and markets along this street. While the freeway into Vancouver is about 20 minutes away, it only takes a "U" turn at the intersection right across the street and then two turns down two major streets and in about 15 minutes or so you nearly enter one of those gorgeous Vancouver bridges! The desk clerks are cordial and businesslike, somewhat downcast, a bit curt but efficient. During our stay there was a huge wedding party and the clerks handled all of their work with this large group effectively while still fielding our questions. One lady who worked the front desk let us know that the BC Lions Canadian Football League team had a game against the Montreal Alouettes...instant date nite activity since yours truly has taken a liking to CFL football. We had a late checkout request that was not handled well even though we are a Best Western Rewards family. Besides this little hickup, nothing but good things to say about this place and we would stay again. It isn't too far from their light rail (or is it a subway) that goes into Vancouver and we may use this option the next time rather than driving (cameras track your comings and goings across the bridges which lead to your car rentals being more expensive).

"Wish we could have spent more time here"

This hotel was a great choice with easy access to the ferry terminal we were hitting up the next day. It was easy to find, although we had to drive around the block to get into the drive way as there was only one entrance and exit. Even though they were going through renovations, the hotel was clearly clean and comfortable. Our king suite was very nice and complete with a full kitchen minus oven for a possible extended stay. The pool was clean, although appeared a bit dated. The included breakfast was very good, with lots of options, although the dining area was quite small for the amount of people dining on a Tuesday morning. Overall, this was a good experience. We would stay here again.

"Room OK, area a bit uncomfortable"

Clean room, quiet and comfortable bed. A few minor things in the room are annoying. You have to be a genuine giant to reach the cupboards to get the coffee machine or anything in the kitchen. Also, there is a full length mirror on the wall which can't be used as furniture (bed) is in front of it. Just a very incompetent or inconsiderate designer. Most important to me was that I was alone and decided not to bring my car and the neighborhood was very uncomfortable for me to walk around alone in. I would recommend having a car to go somewhere else for dinner as there is nothing suitable in or around the hotel.

We stayed here for 1 night in July and 3 more nights in August, and both time had an excelletnt experience. Rooms are spacious, very clean and well maintained. Staff at reception is very friendly, and breakfast is varied and constantly restocked. During our 1st stay the swimming pool was closed for renovations, when we returned a few weeks later it turned out to be very nice. Location for the hotel worked for us, short drive to stores and restaurants, with a few options walking distance, and easy acces to downtown Vancouver. We just took the bus near the hotel and connected to the skytrain, it just takes some time.

"Served its purpose"

Stayed here to attend a wedding in Surrey. The good... If you are traveling with kids the layout of the room offers some privacy as there is a separate bedroom with closing door so if the kids want to watch the tv on the sofa bed you can watch your own tv in the bedroom. We found it very quiet for a Saturday night but we may have just got lucky but no noise from the hallway. The bad... Staff were pleasant but not overly friendly. Place seems a little run down and bathroom was small for the $200 a night price tag. Tip... Get down to breakfast early, we went down at 10am and couldn't get a seat.

"Quick Business Trip - Clean Room w/ Comfy Bed"

The hotel was very clean on the outside. The inside lobby is a bit smaller as it's an older hotel. However, the rooms are very clean and the bed was extremely comfy. The internet was not reliable. I was unable to connect for conference calls that I had to hotspot off of my work phone.

"Great Value"

My family and I stayed at the King George Inn & Suites over a weekend in the Queen Room with Two Beds and a Kitchenette. We were very happy with the cleanliness and spaciousness of the room. We were pleasantly surprised with how well stocked the Kitchenette was: it had pots, pans, dishware, a coffee machine, a kettle, and various utensils. The continental breakfast was often busy, so I would suggest being strategic with what time you head down to the buffet. But it, too, is well supplied. The location is convenient, near various strip malls and eateries and an easy drive into Richmond or Vancouver. Most importantly, the staff were lovely to deal with and incredibly helpful. All in all, it was a wonderful stay.

"A Bad Hotel"

I can tell everyone that this is a very terrible hotel in Canada. I am a one of Best western Hotel employee in Calgary. I booked a room for two nights on July on our BWI membership web, and I got a confirmation number letter. and before I came to surrey, I called the front desk and double check my reservation. when I went to BC, I checked in, but they told me they cancelled my booking, because they could not pre auth my CC#, (I lost my credit card before, and I got the new one at that day I came to BC), they told me because this reservation, so they cancelled, and they said they already sent notice by mail, but I checked my mailbox , I didnt find anything. and they said they didnt have my phone number, but I booked online, didnt I post ? It was very bad hotel and I didnt want to come again!! I slept in my car because I could not find any hotel in BC , In the end, I knew why they cancelled,because they can to sell on high rate, I got emplpyee's rate in low price. I didnt know why they have so terrible emplyees and customer service.

We stayed here the night of a wedding in the family. The rooms were clean,comfortable and much larger and nicer than expected. The free breakfast was more than just continental with scrambled eggs and bacon and make your own waffles as well. Very picky on the check out time. They were calling the room to be sure we were leaving 5 minutes before the listed time stating they would charge another night if we were late checking out. Don't think I have ever had this happen before and it would be my only negative about the stay.

"dirty and filthy room"

We came back from a trip to banff and lake louise and stayed in BW at Sandpoint, ID and Revelstoke, BC. This one located in Surrey is the worst experience I have with BW. Filthy room with smoking odor. The staff was kindly enough to move us to another room on first floor. Unfortunately, it is next to the kitchen and the noise of breakfast preparation woke us up at 5:30. never come to this hotel again.

"Fantastic place"

I stayed at King George Inn & Suites for 8 of the 10 days I was in BC, and would definitely stay there again. Check-in and check out were quick and easy. All the staff I dealt with were very pleasant and helpful. They have breakfasts in the mornings, which smelled great, but I never had any of it. They also have a pool that people seemed to be enjoying, but again I didn't use it. I had a Queen Suite, with 2 Queen beds and a little kitchenette (fridge, stove top, all the cutlery, dishes and pots/pans needed). The room was large and very clean, quiet and the mattress was so comfortable. The location of the hotel is not difficult to find, but it is a bit farther away from downtown Vancouver than I had thought. During my stay bridge construction, added into the traffic, but I think regardless of construction you need to give yourself extra time to get where you are going just due to Vancouver traffic (a pain I also feel here in Toronto). There are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby, I wouldn't necessarily say it's the best area for an evening walk, but I felt safe otherwise. The parking area is well lit and I never had any problems getting a spot.

Pool and Fitness Room being renovated so unavailable. I was informed of this when I booked my stay. I would not have used the Fitness Room but the pool would have been nice after being out in the sun all day.for someone who had no knowledge of the area gaining access to the property could be a problem as there is a rode obstruction blocking access if you are approaching from the South.

"Vacation Time"

This hotel is about 30 mins from the YVR airport and centrally located to other areas. The staff was excellent. Keith (front desk agent) and Shalini (breakfast area) demonstrated excellent customer service. Shalini is an extremely hard worker and greets you with a smile each morning. The hotel itself is a bit dated but kept up. The staff keeps the area and rooms clean. The hotel is located on a busy/main street. For the price, excellent value. Free breakfast/parking and Internet.

We were very impressed with everything about this hotel. It's very clean with large, comfortable rooms and the staff are amazing and very helpful. It's in a great location with easy access to bus and sky train if you prefer to not drive.

"Surprised this hotel gets rating as high as it does."

We did not like our stay at this hotel. There was construction going on the night we stayed here from 10 pm - 6 am so needless to say we got very little sleep. Thankfully we were only staying 1 night. We did receive an email letting us know but we had already left on our trip and not sure if we could have changed our reservation as we booked through air miles. Would it have been different if the hotel had put us on the other side of the hotel away instead of being right beside the construction...maybe but they didn't. I understand that the construction was out of their control but I think they could have done more. The hotel room we had was very small and had a funny smell to it. Pool was OK but the hot tub was only lukewarm at best. Breakfast was OK. Also didn't like the area this hotel was located in, nothing in particular just didn't have a good feeling about it. Wouldn't stay here again.

Pool/hot tub, free breakfast (cereal, yogurt w/ toppings, bagels, muffins, waffles, eggs, & bacon), free wifi & great customer service! What more could you ask for! We stayed for 3 nights and I found this hotel to be in a very convenient area. The mall is close by as well as restaurants, gas station, liquor store, and bank which was great for currency exchange considering that we're from the US. The staff here were all nice and friendly. They're very good at making sure you come back to a clean room which is nice. When we had to check out, there was a mistake they made by charging us for extra guests but apologized and resolved it as soon as they could and kindly refunded us with our money. Overall a great stay!

"Nice Hotel and Good Value"

We stayed there 4 nights for a wedding in Burnaby. When I found it online it seemed the best value hotel with breakfast included nearest the area where we were looking for. I was overall happy with the facilities, clean room, pool, and breakfast ( includes a meat item). The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the immediate area it was in. I tried the first night of our stay and I didn't feel safe going for a walk at night and there were also call girls a stones throw away. One tip I found out at the end of our stay, there is a back way out of the parking lot. It will take you on to a side street where if you stay to the right it will bring you back to the main road where you can take a left. Use this way if you need to go left on to the main road because in front of the main entrance there is a boulevard that will only let you take a right. Great price for a Canadian hotel with a real breakfast, I would stay at this hotel again.

Below average. If you are poor or cheap this is ok. If you have a couple extra $$$ get something better. Would not stay here again. Location not so good. No restaurants close by. Does not deserve the name.

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for work. The staff were very nice and helpful. My room was nice and clean (much bigger than expected which is a plus). I had a living rooms with couch and a separate bedroom. Room was nice and clean - no issues there. Breakfast was average with a hot egg and sausage selection. Only disappointment is the same as every hotel. They never empty the water in the ice bucket and give you a new bag. I always ended up emptying my own every night. Besides that, all good.

"No place to stay"

Initial booking staff denied any discounts advertised saying they did not apply when totally booked. I asked if the room I wanted was booked , he said no. it was available. To this I said well you aren't fully booked then? He finally relented and gave me the BCAA discount. Also, bed and pillows were terrible, vomit in staircase and smokers just outside door. Never again.

Located away from main Vancouver, this is a decent place to stay when heading South to the US. The staff were good and as per the title, clean - good night sleep in a quiet area. there is a nice park located close by.

Stayed at this location on our first night in the Vancouver area and glad that it was only for one night. The guy at the check in ignored us, when we arrived, and we had to wait for him to acknowledge us. The room was small, but clean, but the lighting was atrocious. Needed a flash light to see anything in your case. Also major lack of sockets, which with all the modern gadgets most travellers carry was a pain in the neck. Breakfast was not too bad.

We chose to stay at this location because it was so close to our venue for our wedding. The location was clean and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was impressive with it choices. I would definitely recommend staying at this location if anyone is in the Surrey area.

Hotel room is nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. Hallways had stuffy smell and worn carpet. Customer service in the front desk can be improved. Continental breakfast had usual staples such as bagel, banana bread , fruits and yogurt.

This was in a good location for our visit. We would stay here again if coming to the area. Many options for dining close by. We felt the breakfast was a little salty and greasy, but many other options to pick from.

large rooms, great staff and decent price. Right on King George Blvd so you are Close-Ish to grocery stores and some smaller local restaurants. Skytrain access is a short drive or hop on the 96 B-line to the skytrain to get to downtown Vancouver - much easier than driving downtown. Relatively easy access via King George to head out to Steveston Village for the day or Richmond night markets.

"Best I have stayed in"

I had the pleasure of staying at your location in Surrey for almost a week and a half. Over my lifetime I have stayed at a few hotels but this was by far the best. The Reception Staff was very friendly and helpful and very, very pleasant. The Housekeeping Staff was also very helpful and would often assist in helping me and my walker. The young lady that runs the breakfast was also very good and every morning I looked forward to a hug from her and as it was difficult for me to get breakfast and push my walker, she was always there with a helping hand. I would gladly recommend anyone to stay there

We have stayed here a few times over the years. Staff are very helpful, breakfast (free) is generous and varied and local seems central to the wide Surrey area. I suggest you join the Best Western points program at the same time. Not luxury, but very user friendly. Reserve ahead!

We stay here any time we go to the coast. The hotel is clean, the staff is super friendly and efficient and the breakfasts are excellent. The beds are very comfortable. It is in a good location for us as our daughter lives in Delta. There is always plenty of free parking as well. We have recommended this hotel to many people.

"Wouldn't go back."

Front desk staff was not friendly. Breakfast bar was so-so. Location and drive entrance to hotel was awful. Very hard to get to. A lot of people "hanging out" in the parking lot. Only one door into the hotel, thru the front door. So no close parking. Hotel interior was being painted. One painter was right outside our door. It was so awful it made us sick by morning. Room was a king suite. Too much furniture stuffed in a small room. Lighting was dark and room was drab.

had a great stay at Best Western in Surrey, B. C. the hotel was a small one, but was very beautiful. The staff were friendly and concerned with our well being. They served both a continental breakfast and a hot breakfast, buffet style. The hotel is surrounded with restaurants of all types [ ethnic & regular North American fare], so lunch and dinner were no problem.

"Bad Experience!!"

Bad smell in the bathroom, which was unacceptable... renovation was going on.. which is understandable... , late check out request was denied.. cehck out time was 12 noon. Requested for a late chck out not later than 2.30, but they denied it. which made my family to wait in the lobby for two and half hours..... Overall very bad experience Will not go back for sure....

"Good for what I needed"

Just needed something close to where I needed to be..It was clean,nice staff,free breakfast in the morning was good,don't get a chance at waffles too often.Room was comfortable,TV and fridge worked,will use again when I am in the area.Free parking and Starbucks isn't too far away if needed.

Brief stop on our way home. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Pros: Very friendly service Breakfast included Good location Lots of parking Comfortable beds Pod room coffee Microwave Fridge Business center for printing boarding passes was a life saver! Cons -Not to look a gift horse in the mouth but the coffee at breakfast was beyond terrible! Short stay, Never even had a chance to see the pool! "Another very good stay"

We have stayed at this hotel three times in the last year when travelling to Surrey for soccer tournaments. It is very handy to the Newton Park area, and only a few minutes' walk from the King's Cross mall where there is a BP and Swiss Chalet. The hotel is quite quiet for its location on Kingsway, although the traffic side can be noisier. The decor is a little dated but the rooms are clean and neat--the ones we have had have always had a microwave, coffee maker and small fridge. The breakfast buffet isn't as elaborate as some other BW we have stayed but there is the usual assortment of cereals, buns, muffins, juices and a good waffle-maker, with various hot items like sausages, egg patties, and bacon. There is no hot cereal which is a bit of a downer--even if some packages of instant oatmeal were offered to add to the hot water that would be nice. The fitness centre is quite tiny with only a treadmill, elliptical and small weight bench. It is more or less open to the pool and hot tub area, which is INCREDIBLY loud. There is something about the setup of the pool room which makes it echo so the noise level in there with even 4 or 5 kids is like standing in rush hour traffic. Some sound baffles on the ceiling would be great. There has also been a shortage of pool towel each time we've been there but more can be obtained. Parking is included, as is internet, and the internet speed is very good. The window a/c-heating units can be a bit noisy but no more so than other hotels. If staying there we would suggest asking for an upper floor room so there is less traffic noise--it is nice to be able to open the window for fresh air in the summer and then it is less noisy.

"Good place to stay for the $$ vaue"

The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was clean, and the overall amenities were very good for the price. I found the room to be rather noisy on the traffic side, and the heater/cooler was loud enough to wake me up. I will be staying at this hotel several more times this Spring, and I am hopeful the staff will ensure I have non-traffic side room with a more functional heating/cooling system for my upcoming stays.

"Could be better"

The rooms were clean and comfortable but the breakfast was below what we are used to at BW Plus hotels. I can't say the staff were friendly or not friendly, just so so. The rooms are larger than the Peace Arch hotel and the breakfast area is bigger too but it is further from the border than BW Peace Arch and the staff are friendlier at Peace Arch. We booked into the Peace Arch two separate nights and changed because there were 2 adults and 2 children. This hotel was just OK.

I'll echo what others have said. This hotel was a perfect place to to stay for a couple of days while visiting family in town. For a very reasonable cost it provided a nice room with full fridge and kitchen area. Breakfast was good as well. The staff were all very pleasant. I highly recommend it.

Great location for shopping and eating Indian food, especially vegetarian (two vegetarian restaurants and a few veggie pizza places nearby). Always clean and quiet. Most breakfast options I've seen at a Best Western. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I stayed at this hotel as we were in Surrey for a soccer tournament. Welcome: We were greeted by a nice gentleman named Keith, he took time to inform us of things in the area as we were checking in. The lobby, although small was welcoming with an electric fireplace and nice big chairs that the kids certainly enjoyed. Room: I booked a king suite, the price was very reasonable. I'm so glad I did, we had a spacious room with full kitchen (minus oven). It was very comfortable with as we had gear all over the place. We were able to relax and not feel like we were in each other's way. The bed is really comfortable and the shower was great. Free wifi and several TV channels made for a cozy evening. Amenities: My son headed to the pool with his friends and they had a blast. Big enough to enjoy some play time. Food: We ate out that evening, there is a FANTASTIC Thai restaurant next door (Sticky Rice Thai) which you should not miss out. We then ordered pizza from Non-stop pizza two doors down to bring back for my son (also really good). The price comes with free breakfast, this is certainly one of the best value's when travelling with kids. My son made his waffle while I enjoyed coffee, eggs, bacon. There are lots of options available. Service: Very friendly staff, the power went out at the end of our breakfast and the staff jumped into high gear to open doors and make sure that everyone knew what was going on. Someone was stationed at each floor (there are only 3) to guide guests up or down. Well done. Hotel Grounds: It's in the city, so lots of businesses around. Nice entrance. Location: This hotel was about 20 minutes from the soccer pitch, perfect location, easy to find. All in all, it was perfect for the weekend. Tip: Often the front desk has discount coupons for local restaurants, ask as you head out to dinner.

This hotel is clean and comfortable, and provides a free buffet breakfast with hot and cold items. We especially appreciated the free self - serve tea and coffee in the breakfast room 24 hours a day. There are several restaurants within easy walking distance and a bus stop within two blocks for access to public transit. The staff was efficient and friendly, and was helpful in providing information about transit and dining options. We hope to stay there again very soon.

"Sad day, good experience"

My Mom (very elderly) had died & we stayed in Surrey for 4 nights. Our adult son had flown in from England, & stayed w/ us, so we had a room w/ two queen beds. My brother's room had a king sized bed & a little living room w/ a couch. We both had a fridge, microwave & a really nice Keurig coffee maker. Both rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Since the hotel is on a very busy road, we were concerned that the traffic noise would bother us. We didn't hear anything! It was nice and quiet. The breakfast was great, but the breakfast lady was fantastic. She was the most upbeat person I've met in a long while. Appears to love her job, despite being there so early. I needed mayo at one point and she fetched me some from the Staff Lunch Room. There was a waffle maker, and a neat toaster-conveyor type machine that toasted bagels beautifully, as well as hot food (different each day) and all the usual breakfast food. Plus, you could get juice, coffee & other beverages at any time. Our Room Lady was great too. Both she & the Breakfast Lady found out about my Mom and offered heartfelt condolences, a hug, and an offer to do anything I needed to make my stay more enjoyable. This was really appreciated. In fact, everyone I met there was super nice! Oh, additionally, there was a nice pool, crystal clear hot tub & a well equipped exercise room. My son enjoyed those.

"Almost like home"

No traffic noise, clean room and a comfortable sleep. Almost like being at home. The continental breakfast looked good but we hit it at rush hour and there was no room, and we had plans with friends. Next time we will get up a little earlier to take advantage of the breakfast.

"Less than helpful staff"

After having 3 rooms booked for over a week, we told the front desk that we may need an extra night. We were told on two occasions by to different staff that the hotel was empty and we would have no problem booking another night. We did need an extra night and we were told the hotel was now full. A company with great customer service would have checked with their current customers to see if another night was booked, after we had asked about it and were told no problem.

The service was wonderful, everyone working here is very kind and helpful. The breakfast menu is fabulous and the rooms are very well cared for. The pool and hot tub facilities were excellent for relaxing and spending time with family. The connecting rooms with our family situation were wonderful and made it easy to spend time with each other.

"Bad smell, horrible beds"

Six of us checked into three rooms on Christmas eve... One of the rooms was a king bed suite which had absolutely horrible smell... Both the king bed and the sofa bed were absolutely uncomfortable as they were sunk in the middle... No blanket for the sofa bed so I had to borrow one from my nieces in another room... Check-in was so slow... The front desk staff didn't even look up to say bye as we were leaving the next morning so I said bye first... Breakfast was not too bad...

Great place to stay - welcoming, friendly helpful staff make you feel right at home. The rooms are good and clean, the beds very comfortable and the breakfast is very good - hot choices and cold choices with the friendliest, most helpful young lady you could find. The hotel location is excellent with more than enough parking. There is easy access along the King George whichever direction you go in and the Skytrain is quite close by in six or seven minutes..

This was our second stay (5 nights) at this hotel and it was as great as the first one. Very well run clean hotel with great staff who are very friendly and helpful. Great location half way between White Rock and downtown Surrey with lots of restaurants , stores nearby. Beds very comfortable. Will be staying there this spring.

I love this hotel!! Always a great value for the dollar. Rooms are clean, with a very welcoming look. I would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Vancouver BC! Two computers available for use (unlike many LARGE hotels with ONE computer, total). Breakfast was very nice, with many options!!

Friendly staff. Warm welcome. Clean. Modern decor. Good variety for breakfast - hot & cold. Easy drive to the Surrey syktrain station for a convenient way to get into downtown Vancouver. The place we choose to stay anytime we come to visit relatives in the lower mainland.

"Excellent value"

This hotel was an excellent value. We had a spacious room with 2 queen sized beds which was decorated in a lovely sage green décor. It included a fridge and microwave which worked well. The full breakfast was delicious including a wide array of items. There was a nice small pool and hot tub with a small fitness centre which was quite adequate. While we didn't use this service, it had a washer and dryer available for guests. Our only criticisms were the low level wattage of light bulbs in our room which made the room quite dark at night and the timing of cleaning of our room. We had requested a cleaning between 1 and 3 p.m. and sometimes it wasn't cleaned by 4 when we came back to change and the cleaners were only there until 5 making it rushed to get ready. However, the room was very well cleaned and the amenities restocked daily. We plan to come back!

I travel for business, so I want a hotel that is well located, clean, quiet, a decent breakfast and with good internet service. This hotel checks all the boxes. And for a very reasonable price. I will be back.

"Consistent, Friendly, Clean and terrific service."

This is our home away from home. We know the property well and are never disappointed. Quiet comfortable rooms, nicely kept. Great hot breakfast included with your stay. And location puts us where we need to go quickly. Will recommend to family and friends.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast very friendly breakfast staff, good beds. That's all I really care about. Good value for money. There's a road nearby, didn't hear any noise coming from it. Sticky Rice thai restaurant on walking distance next to the hotel, do try that one. Dee-lish!

"A Good Night's Rest"

This hotel was an unexpected surprise. We booked last minute for three nights and just grabbed the first available deal in the area so our expectations were not very high. The hotel was lovely, our room was spacious and comfortable and there was a nice little pool and hot tub on the bottom floor. Best of all was the complimentary breakfast which had a wide array of options from pastries and waffles to cereal and bagels with cream cheese or even eggs, bacon and sausage from a hot food station. There was complimentary juice, tea and coffee 24/7 and the business center was available when I needed it late in the night. It had a working printer and there was no charge, though I found it odd that Microsoft Word/PDF were not available to use. Overall this was a great place to stay and we got three really good nights' sleeps.

"Best Western King George"

Excellent Motel. Good value. Quiet area. Easy to find off Highway 1. The front office staff are extremely helpful. 1 quick bus to the Central mall Skytrain and then you're on your way to anywhere. Restaurants and pub close by. I will stay here again.

"Mediocre but would try again"

The front desk staff were friendly, and helpful. The breakfast was good and had a variety. The room was clean, but the one bed was VERY uncomfortable and creaked every time you moved. They were renovating while we were there. Once they are done renovating I would try again.

"nie Hotel and friendly staff"

Nice hotel Friendly staff clean room easy to find and parking was great. Breakfast waffles are always good. Even though this particular Best Western was undergoing some renovations it was hard to tell.

"Great Price / Great Location"

Have stayed numerous times at this hotel and have always experienced a great visit. Located conveniently for many purposes and not far from the downtown core using the hwy 1. Not far to the ferry as well and well located for sports in the city.

"Good stay"

Close to everything Surrey. Clean, safe, friendly and helpful staff. Their breakfasts saved me, not having to go out just to grab a bite in the morning. Complete rooms, microwave, fridge, hair dryer, coffee maker. The only problem I had was with the people above me seemed to enjoy stomping until 1 in the morning (wood floors). My Verizon international plan didn't work in Surrey, and I was very glad they had good wifi as well as a couple computers

My wife and I travelled by car in Aug/Sept from Ottawa to Vancouver Island and back. We stayed at the King George for 4 days on the way out and 3 days on the way home. This motel is without a doubt the best managed facility we stayed at during our travels. The rooms are exceptionally clean, quiet and the beds are comfortable. The front desk staff, cleaning staff, and breakfast staff are all exceptional people. The room rates are very good value for the quality. Highly recommended. Vern and Helen Foster

"Surprisingly Good"

I was warned about this area of town Before I booked, but I wanted a place close to my office I was working from. Hotel was surprisingly busy, I stayed for almost a week, rooms were Clean and comfortable, continental breakfast was surprisingly good, and staff were friendly and helpful. I wouldn't recommend leaving any valuables in my car, but the area felt safe and no worse than some areas in Vancouver.
