Welcome to Best Western Inn at Sundance! Devil's Tower is a short drive away from our Sundance hotel, and there's plenty of natural beauty to soak in around here. Whether you're here for the Sturgis® Bike Rally or to visit nearby Deadwood, South Dakota, our Sundance hotel is conveniently located close to everything. Vore Buffalo Jump is another attraction that keeps many guests returning to our property. Getting away from it all really means something here, but that doesn't mean you can't have the best customer service and luxury bedding while you're at it. Our location, close to Mt. Rushmore and Sturgis®, is unbeatable. Conveniently located off of I-90, it's easy to get around the area and explore. However, many guests prefer to stay right here and enjoy a relaxing vacation. The indoor pool and hot tub is the perfect place to rejuvenate, and you can start each morning with a free full breakfast complete with all you can eat waffles, biscuits & gravy, fresh fruits, pastries, a selection of cereal and 100% gourmet coffee or four types of juices. The Mustang Rally in Sturgis® always draws a crowd, and the Corvette Convention in Spearfish is one for the record books. If you're into scenic rides and great cars and bikes, our Sundance hotel is close to a number of rallies. However, that's not the only appeal to the region. The Deadwood Jam is an annual event that everyone looks forward to, and our property is located in the heart of Sundance County-where the Sundance Kid got his name. There's plenty of outdoor recreation nearby, like hiking, fishing, biking, snowmobiling, and skiing. For guests staying at our Sundance hotel on business, you'll feel right at home. Employees of Crook County Hospital, Rare Earth Resources, and the Wyoming Department of Transportation all consider us their home away from home. As the county seat, many people are here for business with the court house, too. Reserve your room at Best Western Inn at Sundance today!

    « quiet and restful »

this hotel was so clean and friendly. Not your downtown 5 star place but they sure made you feel like it was. Everything a tired traveler needs, great beds, good size rooms, pool, hot tub, breakfast, coffee all day and quiet. They also help with those pets some can't live without. If you stay here please order from Cowgirl pizza, fast friendly and oh so good. thanks for a nice break from my 2,000 mile drive, see you and the way back tammy from frazee

    « Peaceful view »

This location has a very peaceful view. We recommend a stay here for anyone traveling this area. Postcard quality views, peaceful location and convenient location. Great parking area and welcoming entrance.

« pool and hot tub was down more than up! »

Have been staying here for eight years, the price is always going up and the pool and hot tub are down for repairs or maintenance. It would be nice to be able to use the things I'm paying for. When you spend all day out side the hot tub is very important to me, the staff is always great!

« Best hotel in town »

Didn't have very high expectations for a decent hotel in such a little town but it turned out better than expected. Relied on other reviews and glad we made the choice. Traveling with dogs has its challenges and this place was very pet friendly and accommodating. Has a decent area to walk them, even provides waste bags. We kept our dogs leashed though because of all the deer wandering around the area. Nancy, the receptionist, was extremely helpful and hospitable with check-in and whatever else we needed. The room was comfortable enough, maybe a little dated but still nice. Nice pillows and comfortable mattress. Was lacking a tv channel guide and our bathroom sink was slow draining but staff was aware and trying to rectify. Hot and cold breakfast was very good, nice selection and plenty of seating. Nice attendant who was very attentive and kept breakfast area clean and supplied. Would definitely stay again.

« Nice hotel for one night »

Nice friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. A bit noisy if you stay in an odd numbered room as there is a lorry park that side and they arrive late and start early. Very isolated - you have to drive to any restaurants in Sundance which is about a mile away. Very quiet town as well - only just over 1,000 residents. If you are passing through, this hotel is fine. Not good for a stay longer than one night.

    « Great property »

We were traveling late, checkin went smoothly. We thought it was a newer property because of the condition outside and inside. Highly recommend this property. Only draw back for some might be no elevator.

    « Clean and special »

After a previous experience with a BW hotel, we were hoping this stay would be better. We were totally impressed with not only the professionalism of the staff but how well maintained this hotel was kept. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, and while you are there stop in and visit with the breakfast lady, you will find it very rewarding.

    « 5 star »

Easy to access from hwy. Place is a diamond in the rough. Staff were great....very friendly...made us feel right at home. The rooms are large and clean...nice pool and hot tub....and the morning breakfast better than some eaten at restaurants! will look for B.Westerns on next road trips!

    « Site seeing »

We stayed here because it was so near all the things we wanted to see. Such as the Crook County Museum, Devils Tower, Spearfish Scenic Byway. We also went Mount Rushmore and Drove into Deadwood. We had a very good ride through the Bad Lands in South Dakota also, where we saw many wild animals such as Buffalo, sheep, coyotes, prairie dogs and antelope.

    « Super Friendly Hotel »

We arrived to find the desk staff friendly and helpful. The room was well kept and spotless. The breakfast staff was welcoming and she was attentive to all the guests needs... from a warm crisp waffle to a clean napkin. Great gal to have representing the hotel.

    « Very good overall »

Good shower. Good counter space in bathroom, and good bathroom lighting. Fine bed. Computer desk. Main room lighting could have been better. Very dark in the corner where I put my suitcase. Close to interstate. Staff very friendly and helpful.

« Friendly staff, nice hotel »

We were just passing though but enjoyed the Best Western Sundance. Nice clean room, hot tub and pool. Breakfast was average for a Best Western consisting of eggs, waffles sausage, cereals, yogurt, etc. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.

« Great overnight get away »

After riding the motorcycle all day the room was so comfortable to arrive to. Our room was ready and staff checked us in an hour early. Room was clean, bed & pillows so comfy. Pool was a bit cold; thought it would be heated, but after coming in from 95 degree heat it cooled us off fast. Too cold to swim around - dip in and get out. Breakfast was yummy. Food hot and tasted good.

    « Totally recommendable hotel »

We stayed here for one night on our way from Devils Tower to Yellowstone. We had a 2-bed room which was pretty big. The bed was comfortable and everything was clean. Breakfast was ok. The lady from the front desk was very helpful regarding our questions we had about entering Devils Tower. Thanks again for that!

    « Friendly and comfortable »

Nice friendly hotel, super comfy and spacious room. Very pet friendly. Great price compared to nearby Spearfish and Rapid City during the summer tourist season. Close to Devil's Tower too. Overall, a wonderful resting place on a cross country trip.

    « Awesome customer service, »

It was 10:00 P.m. Last night and we were desperately seeking a hotel room. Nancy did not have any rooms available. But she called a hotel 50 miles away to see if they had any rooms available. We were able t book a room over the phone. Thank you so much Nancy for taking the time out of your busy night to help complete strangers! You are wonderful!

« Comfortable, clean, good sleep »

Great place to stop while touring the Black Hills and Devil's Tower. Staff were great, especially the interesting lady who ran a great breakfast room. She added depth to our experience. It was nice being next to the field with horses to pet. The property is older but well maintained, and easy to find and lots of parking.

    « Nice property close to I-90 »

We have stayed at this property a number of times, it is near family we have in the area, the property is well kept and staff is always friendly. A Complimentary breakfast is offered daily. We always appreciate that Best Western provides such generous rewards for frequent guests.

    « Very nice. Convenient. »

We stayed on our way to Devil's Tower which was about an hour away. The room was big with a mini fridge. We were assigned a 2nd floor room but then asked for a 1st floor and they happily switched us. My kids enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was good. I recommend staying here.

    « Best Western Sundance »

The hotel was very nice. The room was spacious, clean and offered a microwave and fridge. The air conditioner screamed on the cooling setting and I had to turn it off, but I didn't report this till the morning, as the night was bearable without it. The hotel is located off the interstate so had little highway noise. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

« Nice hotel, nothing super special »

Stayed on road trip out to Yellowstone. This hotel came up in a search of Gillette. Wish I'd done more research because it's a good 50-60 miles east of Gillette, which only added more to the next leg of our trip. Be aware. Hotel was nice - clean and maintained, nothing amazing or that memorable.

« Would We Stay There Again? Absolutely Yes! »

No problems what so ever and friendly staff that I felt wanted to be there to help us. At check in we received a flyer with recommendations of restaurants in the area. That was nice. Our room was nice. They even had special remotes for the television that had been designed to be cleaned for the guests. Nice touch with all the hoop la la about filthy remotes out there. We didn't use the pool but a couple in our party did and enjoyed it. The breakfast area was very nice and spacious. There was plenty of items to choose from and was attended well by staff. Would we stay there again? Absolutely. I think that says it all. Enjoy your travels.

    « Great Place »

The hotel was clean, comfortable with a wonderful pool area including laundry. The hot breakfast was yummy. I believe we had a fridge in our room, too. It was quiet enough and not a lot of folks there at the time we were there.

« Great place to launch a tour of site in SD »

We found the Sundance WY a comfortable and quiet hotel for our trip and a convenient place to stop prior to our tour of Mt Rushmore and other sites in South Dakota based on our travel distances. The breakfast was great and we were in a good location to see Mt Rushmore, stop at Wall SD and other small tourist site all the way on our trip to Minnesota. This was our set up day to site see so the Sundance was a great choice to accomplish our goal.

    « Sundance golf trip »

Visited Sundance, WY, on a golf trip. The Best Western at Sundance was ideal for my needs from a location and price standpoint. Staff was courteous and professional. Complimentary breakfast was excellent. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

« Great hotel in a small town »

Best Western in Sundance was a great find for a very clean and comfortable stay while on business. There is no fitness room, but the property appears to be well taken care of and the staff were pleasant.

« Great place to stay! »

Clean, great staff, no problems. The Longhorn Grill had excellent food for dinner. There are others. Swimming pool, quiet, easy to check in and out. About an hour and a half from Rapid City, and 30 miles from Devils Tower Nat'l Park. Will stay at again.

This was a great experience, clean, great breakfast, friendly staff. Would stay there again. Easy on and off access to the highway. Breakfast with fruit, waffles, all kinds of traditional items. Juice and coffee available in the evening. Clean room especially the bathroom. Iron, board and hairdryer available.

« Truly Amazing Staff and Property »

My wife and I stayed at this property for three nights in June 2017 and would not hesitate to stay there again. The staff at this hotel were all WONDERFUL - they greeted us with a smile every time we walked by and always asked how they could make our stay better. They were kind, courteous, informative, and very professional. And in addition to such a great staff - the property was amazing. Indoor pool and large spa. excellent morning breakfast and great coffee. The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. It just does not get much better than this.

    « Very nice »

Easy access off of I90, but far enough away to have no traffic noise. Very nice personnel and very clean, spacious room. Also good price and nice breakfast. Very informative on a place to eat and things to see in the area.

« Nice Place, Average Staff, Worst Breakfast »

This is a nice facility. The pool/spa area was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and efficient, which is the norm for Best Westerns in our experience. However, the check-in person did not give good directions for finding a restaurant in town and this could have been remedied with a simple hand-out... Sundance isn't that big. The beds were very hard and we found them uncomfortable. The breakfast was the worst that we have encountered so far. Add to all of this that the price was the highest of any of the 3 Best Westerns that we stayed at on this trip and the sum total doesn't add up to good value in our opinion.

« Great staff and awesome breakfast »

Tura and Dusty are the best at what they do - you can tell they take pride in their jobs. Really nice people, very clean hotel, and the food is well done. A lovely spot to stay. Wish I had more time to visit the cool sites in the area. Thank you.

    « see prvious comments »

Great facility and great staff; definitely a place to stay! On a scale of 1 (low) to 10 (high), I would give the BW in Sundance an 11! The staff members were very knowledgeable, effective, and courteous as they went about doing their jobs. What a team.

No elevator, but the staff helped me up the stairs with my luggage and baby carrier. They had a greeter in the breakfast room in the morning looking after the food and greeting guests. Very charming staff, great customer service, and very clean room.

« Best Western at Sundance Wy »

Believe it or not this is a motel that not only allows pets but also has a nice pet walking area that was cleaned up!! The room was very clean with nice fluffy towels. Offers a very nice serve yourself American style breakfast. Not far from Devils Tower.

    « Great Business trip »

My family accompanied me on this trip to the small town of Sundance Wyoming. We chose Best Western after reading many reviews on Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed at all with our experience. Many things to experience nearby and very friendly staff

« Terrible experience at the Best Western Inn at Sundance »

Requested a late check out. There normal check out time is 11:00am. They agreed, when I checked in to an additional hour of Noon. I got back at 10:15am and the room had been partially cleaned. There was no bed linens and no towels left in the room. I went to the front desk to ask about the late check out and she said "Housekeeping must of missed the note". She agreed to let me in the room to take a bath. There were no towels in the bathroom. I went back to request more towels. Took my bath and neatly left the soiled towels in a pile and the unused towels in another pile The room was clean and nice as I left. When I got my credit card statement I was charged almost double. I called and asked about the charges. The manager said there was Urine on the bathroom floor, shower curtain, and carpet. She claimed they had to do a deep cleaning. There was no urine on the shower curtain. There was no urine on the carpet. There was no urine on the bathroom floor. I left the room clean and left housekeeping a cash tip on the bed side table. The manager Carla Edenfield, said she was previously an RN and she knows what urine stains look and smell like. There was no urine in the room. She said I was not welcome at the hotel ever again because I was rude to the staff. I was angry at the time and apologized to the front desk staff and everyone agreed it was a misunderstanding on the late checkout. I left the hotel by 10:50am. Earlier than the normal check out time.

« Great Hotel and staff »

I actually downloaded TripAdvisor to my phone so I could give a review on this place. We're on our way from Mount Rushmore to Devils Tower and Yellowstone and just happen to stop here for the night. The room looks brand-new beds were comfortable super clean room, the staff was amazingly helpful and polite. I won't hesitate to stay here again if opportunity affords.

    « Ridin' Fences »

My wife and I both liked the Best Western Sundance. It is a quiet, unassuming little place and is an excellent base for visiting Devil's Tower. Oh, the room is nothing particularly special, but the beds were good and things remained quiet all through the night. We did not partake of the breakfast, but we were assured by the management that it was very good, especially the waffles. The staff here was attentive and helpful, especially Carla, who, I think, is the manager, and they added to the homey, Wyoming ranch ambiance of the place. So, I guess, while we're not talking a great deal of pizzazz (which is probably a good thing), the Best Western Sundance is a solid performer and worth a return visit if the occasion arises. (If possible, visit the horses in the pasture next door--very beautiful and friendly--but probably best to stay on the Best Western side of the fence.)

« Great Place to Stay! »

Friendly staff, clean and well appointed rooms, great breakfast. Conveniently located right off the highway and next to a gas station. Plenty of parking. I would stay here again any time and recommend it to friends and family.

« Nice place to stay if you are going to Devils Tower »

out in the middle of nowhere. Still it is a very nice place to go if you are going to go to Devils Tower. We went to the tower in the morning and after that went to the Buffalo fall. Really pretty nice and ended the day in Deadwood. Good night sleep, reasonable breakfast. Really a very clean place.

« Bathtub drain did not work, uncomfortable beds, service was lower quality than other Best Westerns »

The bathtub drain didn't work, and the beds were stiff and uncomfortable. The daily service did not meet our expectations: The staff did not replace our empty Kleenex box, and they did not make up the bed nearly as nicely or neatly as it was on our first night. Wireless internet was slow and dropped the connection frequently when we tried to stream music or play games on our devices.

« Best Western in Sundance, WY »

Stopped by after seeing Devil's Tower and was pleasantly surprised at the qualify and cleanliness of the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in the area. We enjoyed our stay in Sundance

    « sundance »

we arrived the evening of august 18, 2016. everything went smooth at the check in, even though the reservation was in one name and we wanted to separate rooms into two separate bills as we are both best western reward members. our room was very clean and presentable. the breakfast was very good and had good variety of selections, both hot and cold. the breakfast lady was very friendly and helpful. she had a great customer friendly attitude. check out went very smooth. in summary, I would certainly stay there again if I was in the area.

« Staff Make this Place the BEST! »

We stayed at this hotel for one night. We got in late and then were headed out early in the morning for Devil's Tower. Then on our way to Yellowstone the following day. We had already been traveling 6 days (of our 16 day trip), so I took advantage of the laundry facilities to wash a few things while I could. It was very late and the lady running the front desk clearly had tons of jobs to do overnight (trash, pool clean up, etc). I ended up needing change and help a few times. Each time, she stopped her work and gladly got me what I needed. She took time to visit with me while I was waiting on laundry and was very personable. And a hard worker. The next morning we had the free breakfast and it was actually one of the better ones we've ever had at a place that offers it free. We've eaten at a lot of them and they are usually not that great. So this was a nice surprise. The rooms were larger than most hotel rooms. I think this is an older property that has been remodeled so that's why the rooms were bigger. Everything seemed updated and very clean. Nothing fancy, but more than adequate for a nights stay along the way. The best thing of all is that the staff clearly values honesty and integrity. I have no idea how I left it behind, but somehow I left my diamond wedding ring in the room. It is worth several thousand dollars not to mention the sentimental value. We left in such a hurry to get the kids in the car and get going that I honestly did not even know it was missing. But about 10 minutes after leaving, my cell phone rang. I could tell it was the Best Western we had just stayed at so I answered it. They manager asked me if I was missing anything. Still I had no idea. I could tell by the sound of her voice that it was urgent and then she asked me if I had lost my wedding ring!!! WOW!!!!! I was shocked...first because I had no idea I left and second because they actually called me instead of just logging it as something they found and waiting for me to call, and third because they ACTUALLY RETURNED IT!!!! It would have been so easy for that housekeeper to just tuck the ring in a pocket and keep cleaning. There is no way I would have ever known! Or they could have just hung on to it and turned it in after cleaning the room, which would have made it so much harder for me to come back and get. Or they could have put it in the safe but not bothered to call me, and then who knows how long it would have taken me to backtrack my steps to find it. But thankfully, they called me right away and I was able to go back and pick it up in just a few minutes. We were barely out of town when I got the call, so it was a quick trip back to pick it up. I was SOOOO thankful!!! Not only are they honest, they went the extra mile to get my ring back to me as quickly as possible. I didn't get a chance to thank the house keeper personally, but I left her a tip and made sure the manager passed along my extreme gratitude. Thank you guys for going the extra mile and for doing the RIGHT thing. God will continue to bless your business because of how you run it!!! So if you're ever in need of lodging in this area, stay here. They rooms are clean and updated and the property is very well managed and the staff are people of integrity.

    « Amazing staff »

Stayed for the rally. Housekeepers are wonderful, breakfast attendents are wonderful as is front desk. Definitely recommended. Bed was amazing and comfortable, pillows were the best I've had in hotels so far.

    « Perfect! »

Had a great ground floor with view of our motorcycles in the parking lot. Gas and convenience store next door. Super good breakfast of biscuits and gravy and omelettes and sausage. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay again!

    « Personal touch »

The hotel is nice and clean. The location is easy to reach but there are not any local restaurants nearby later at night so be aware. The standout is the care of the breakfast staff and attention to details. Her friendliness added a great deal to our stay.

« Best Motel in Sundance »

This is a nice motel that has spacious rooms and good service. The free breakfast was very good as well. Everything was neat and tidy. Sundance doesn't have a lot of lodging options and this is the best one in town. Solid value for the money.

« Great place when visiting Devils Tower »

Very clean and comfortable beds. Nice breakfast buffet. However, if you need a first floor, request ahead as they do not have an elevator. Very friendly and informative staff. This was a good location for Devils Tower.

« An excellent experience in all ways »

This was a very good Best Western experience: comfortable beds, soft towels, Amazing shower -- tall enough and soft water, nice pool area, and one of the best hot breakfasts I've ever seen at a roadside motel. The free breakfast had pre-made omelets, and all the fixin's on the side to add: sausage, ham, peppers, etc. Plus everything else you'd expect at a breakfast bar: cereals, waffles, biscuits and sausage gravy, toast, rolls, yogurt, several kinds of juice, coffee, fruit, hard-boiled eggs. It was a busy morning and the hotel's breakfast room attendant (Delissa) was pleasant and kept re-stocking everything. The only concern-- and it's not very concerning-- is the wifi internet in the building was a little slow. I travel a lot for work, and I must say, honestly, this was a great experience, and I'd definitely stay here again.

    « Worst Western »

Frazzled but friendly receptionist at check in. We booked a couple of months in advance requesting quiet room away from hussle and bustle of pool, vending, elevator, main stairs, etc. Our assigned room is right across from main stairwell. Rock hard and lumpy bed. Sink drains ever slowly. Tasteless coffee and so-so breakfast choices. We will never stay here again.

« Great People, Great Stay! »

Everyone, the person I talked with when I made the reservation, the person in the breakfast room and the checkout lady were very nice and extremely helpful. Our room was very clean, neat, and quiet with microwave and fridge. The breakfast consisted of omelets, sausage, yogurt, choices of cereals, juice, coffee, muffins and more. The lady taking care of the area was extremely helpful and kept everything well stocked and very clean. (I think her name was Bobbie). We have been staying at Best Westerns, but haven't been able to figure out how to get the $50.00 back promotion that is going on now. However the lady helping us check out, worked to help us get TWO $50.00 credits back. All other desk clerks told us to call the BW toll-free number for help. The checkout lady was also amazing. Great people, great stay!

« Disorganized, poor, unfriendly and cold services »

Don't ever think about this hotel if you have plan to come to Sundance or visit nearby Devils Tower. Choose another hotel instead. You will definitely feel regret after a stay. The staff servicing was terrible and unfriendly. The cold attitude will make you angry and then spoil your journey. Also don't come to the town late as there are no other places to have meal after 9pm. You may think of bringing own food if still desired to stay there.

    « needed bug spray »

staff was ok, hotel was clean, pool was nice. but had many flying ants and a mouse in my room. the breakfast was reguler hotel fair. close to many attractions makes it a good place to stay for a couple of days.

« No elevator so seniors beware... »

Stayed 6/23. Close to Devils Tower (30 mi), just off the freeway with plenty of parking. Our check in was a bit abrupt, especially when we looked stunned that there was no elevator and our room was on the 2nd floor. A bummer for us seniors with lots of heavy luggage. The room was fine. Clean, comfortable large room with all expected amenities. We loved the water pressure in the shower, but noted the sink drained very slowly. Breakfast did not look very appealing so we moved on. Our cost with senior rate was 127.32. There aren't many other options, but we did not think this was good value.

    « Excellent & Caring Service »

Great People, Great Service, Clean, Comfortable, Pet Friendly, Family Oriented and Yumo Free Breakfast! What more can you ask of a small town hotel? The staff Helped me out during Fire Evacuation of my home at a discount rate with much kindness.

    « Sundance Wyoming »

Overall excellent stay and accommodations. Only complaint is pillows were to fluffy ;) Room was clean and tidy with all the usual amenities. Nice to have a Microwave and refrigerator available. Special Thanks to Melissa in the breakfast room. She was so sweet and such a breath of fresh air.

« Best part of our road trip »

We were highly impressed with the quality of service provided at this BW. Tura W. went out of her ways to accommodate our needs of laundry when their guest washer was broken and tried her very best to cheer us up from the really bad day we were having. The place was well maintained and breakfast included omelettes with salsa which was better than other BW places we've been to near this area. Would highly recommend.

    « Quietest Hotel Yet »

This hotel was the absolute quietest and accommodating! Staff is friendly and personable, breakfast is a mix of regular continental and homemade, rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. For the longest time, my boyfriend and I were convinced we were the only people in the hotel because it was so quiet! And the towel animals were adorable. Definitely will stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet night's sleep. I'd give six stars if I could.

    « Outdated facility »

Outdated facility. Needs a facelift. Not much received for the money in comparison to other places where we spent nights WY and SD during a road trip. Person at the front desk knew nothing about the town. The dark hallway that to the poorly set room overlooking the asphalt parking lot was not the kind scenery that I expected in Sundance, WY either. At least the room that I spent a night in was poor in quality and definitely needs a good remodeling job. For the money, the motel offered very less. I wouldn't consider spending another night there or recommending the place to anyone.

    « Pet Friendly Hotel »

The Best Western is an excellent choice in the Sundance area, although it is on the very eastern edge of town. The rooms are large clean and they are very pet friendly. Our two pups had a good time exploring the grounds. The breakfast is typical motel fare anymore, but the staff is very friendly. Our only complaint was the coffee; not the best, but not as bad as the coffee place nearer downtown Sundance.

« Nice place to stay »

The hotel is clean, the beds comfortable. Breakfast is served with hot food as well as continental fare. I was most impressed by the lady who worked in the breakfast room. She handled a sticky situation with a young man with tact, grace and a smile.

« Fantastic place to stay »

We stayed here on the last night of our trip and the hotel experienced a large influx of unexpected guests due to a storm the previous night. They added additional staff and the service and cleanliness were fantastic. The breakfast was great from the eggs to the waffles. There was not one thing I would suggest they improve. It is very refreshing to see a chain hotel that cares about the guests as much as this one.

    « VERY CLEAN »

This hotel was VERY clean and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was pretty good and the staff made sure that there was hot, fresh, food all the time. The pool area was very nice. I would recommend this hotel highly. I do think that it was a little high priced for this small town. The one problem that I did have was the internet. Our phones never would connect.

    « Great hotel »

We were bring an oversize load up through Wyoming and stopped in Upton Wyoming. The one hotel there was very sketchy at best. We decided to drive the 30 miles to this Best Western. It was worth the drive. Upon arrival, the lady at check in was very nice and accommodating. The room was clean and spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We mentioned we had to leave before their breakfast was served. We went out for dinner and when we came back to the hotel, she had two breakfast's to go in a bag. It was a bottle of water, a Danish, a snack bar and an apple. I've never had any hotel offer this and was extremely impressed. She also had fresh coffee set up for us when we left at 3:00 am. What a pleasant stay we had there. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone and making the extra drive was well worth it.

Attractive hotel, easy access to highway. Wonderful people. Amenities were nice, room very clean, had a towel animal on the bed, very creative and different. Worked very hard to make my stay pleasant.

« Great place to stay in a Blizzard »

We pulled in just as a Blizzard occurred, and the Port of Entry informed us that Roads would be closing and that it would be safer to stay in town. We pulled into this hotel, and the Staff was Awesome and Very Accommodating. They treated us like a Five Star Resort. Breakfast was Awesome!!!!! Got a Full Afternoon and all Nights Rest and Sleep, and took a RR time and felt entirely rested for the Rest of our Business Trip. I would recommend this Hotel to Anyone Passing through Sundance. Stop in. Karla the GM was also very nice, and accommodating.

    « Stranded »

We ended up in Sundance as the result of a snowstorm. We were planning to stay another hour down the road but by the time we got to Sundance the highway was in rough shape so we pulled over. The price was a little high for a budget motel in a small town, but that could be because it's the only open hotel right off the highway. The woman at the front desk was great. The room was large, clean, and fairly comfortable. The breakfast was pretty typical - lots of sugar and carbs, not a lot of healthy options. The woman running the breakfast was super nice. Just a tip - hotels in Belle Fourche and Spearfish which is about an hour away tend to be quite a bit cheaper.

    « Sundance, Wyoming »

When our car broke down, we were on our way home and were forced to get repaired and stay overnite.. The staff couldn't have been nicer, hotel is very clean and pet friendly!! They were concerned about us, and helped in any way they could! Would definitely stay again!

« First Night of a Wyoming Road Trip »

Nice, clean hotel. Free wifi. Free hot breakfast in a large dining area. Front desk staff very helpful. Recommended a restaurant for us, The Longhorn Saloon. Guest laundry. Business centre. Indoor heated pool and hot tub, which we used. Very nice. Good rates.

« In this price range its the best of your choices but keep expectations low. »

You may be sleeping in a very over used bed with body holes from previous guest. Water is pretty soft as well, so expect to spend some time getting soap off. The hot breakfast items (sausage & eggs) are gone at about 8 O'clock, so if you're a late riser expect to eat cold food items unless you're into waffles.

« Clean, comfortable and afforadable »

Took my family here while on road trip. Overall the location was great and the rooms were large, beds comfortable and there was a solid free breakfast all for an affordable price! Nice friendly people at the front desk and breakfast room too!

« Great place to stay »

I have stayed at the Best Western in Sundance Wyoming on my last two business trips. This is a great hotel with friendly staff, clean rooms. It's where I will go next time I am in the area. Wish I had time to enjoy the great indoor pool!

    « Comfortable »

The room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was a little small but clean and shower was awesome. We made use of the hot tub and pool. Both are indoors so even with the cold temp outside it was nice. Breakfast was good omletes and waffles. Oh and its pet friendly, so next we will bring our dog. If we stay in sundance again, it will be here.

« Good Hotel and Great Access »

We stayed here for our winter trip coming from the Black Hills of South Dakota to Devils Tower. Not much going on in town given the time of year but the rooms were very nice as well as the pool and hot tub. You have to go to Devils Tower while here. It is an amazing National Park unit. Staff was very nice and helpful.

Overall the quality and service of the hotel was above average, however the rate we paid was ridiculous; due to the fact that it was HUNTING SEASON in the area. A year ago and a week later in November the rate was HALF of what we charged this year!

« Great place to stay with friendly staff »

If you are in the Sundance, WY area, and need a place to stay, you would do a disservice to you and your travel accomplices, if you stay anywhere else. I do not usually give this high of a rating to any place. If you get an "8"anywhere else from me, you are doing good. This place is a 10 (or #1 if you are a NAM vet)

    « Best customer service »

We had the best customer service at this hotel. They went out of their way to help us. We were there for hunting and they opened the free breakfast bar early so all the hunters could eat, get coffee, etc before we went out, which was very early!!

« Hard bed, but nice stay. »

The bed here was hard, but I enjoyed my stay. The hotel was clean, as was my room. Staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was hot, and more than just pastries. The hotel was pretty full, and after looking at other hotels in town, this was visibly the best looking hotel.

    « hunting trip - start here »

this motel is a good, clean, nice place to stay. Clean room, decent breakfast, and an area in the rear for your doggie's business - with a cleanup station. Comfortable bed, pleasant staff. Very accommodating.

« Nice place to stay »

very helpful employees, great breakfast and close to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse. I would suggest this hotel if you are on the way to South Dakota. Room have just been remodeled, they are nice, clean, and the breakfast was very good

    « Friendly, helpful staff »

My rental truck broke down, stranding me in Sundance for the better part of 2 days. The staff here were extremely friendly and worked with my changing schedule, being flexible about checkout times and letting me extend my stay when I found out my replacement vehicle would not be ready. The folks working here were all just great!

« Easy to find, quick to the Devils Tower »

This stop was part of a large National Parks tour. It was clean, spacious, and had very easy access to Interstate 90 and to the Devils Tower. I had two negatives. It was the most expensive Best Western we stayed at during our trip, including one which was nicer near Mt Rushmore, and it has no elevator. So if you have a lot of heavy bags and are a little older, you may want to find someplace else to stay. Breakfast was good. People were extraordinarily nice.

    « Treck back home »

A nice hotel that provides everything that you need for our stay. (Except an elevator, that's a bit of a pain.) But other than that it was a nice stay with a good breakfast. The beds were not of other Best Western quality but it was better than sleeping in the floor. I'd definitely stay again on a return trip. If your coming in late make sure you feed your family before getting to Sundance because their ain't nothing around that's going to open after 9.

    « Leisure Trip »

We were pleasantly surprised by this small town and motel. Nice hot tub and pool area. Nice lady at check in and very helpful. Small community with limited restaurants, but the Longhorn restaurant was excellent.

    « BED BUGS!! »

While the hotel itself was nice, it was infested with bed bugs. I even saw one crawling across my pillow. Two days later and now my arms, fingers, and even my FACE is covered in bites! When I first reported to the front desk lady Carla, she told me that they would "look into it" - but I was not refunded my money for the HORRIBLE experience. I had to buy a new set of clothes and shoes so I didn't accidentally bring bed bugs into my apartment. Where is my reimbursement? I guess that's apparently a part of their wonderful experience I guess? By the way, having bed bugs bites on my face looks REALLY attractive. I'd rate this 0 stars if I could.

    « Great choice... »

...particularly if you want a nonsmoking atmosphere. Staff friendly. Room is basic and clean. Was skeptical when the desk said they had omelets with choice of filling--but they did and they were spectacular. Appreciated the hostess' diligent work and congeniality.
