Best Western Plus Executive Hotel & Suites

Very nice hotel, it was quiet on the 3 rd floor. Everyone was friendly. The Refrigerator had a freezer which we always look for. The breakfast was good. The beds were a little too soft for our liking but that may be just our preference. We would stay again.

This hotel very good place to stay. Hot Breakfast is always good. Service is outstanding. All employees are very nice and helpful. Always check on you if you need anything overtime you walk to the lobby just to go out. All I can say I will Definitely go back again and recommend this place. Great service! This was my first time staying at a Best Western Plus. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My room was clean and comfortable. My two little daughters enjoyed the breakfast. I would stay again!

This place was immaculate. The check and was very smooth. I requested an N room on the top floor cause I'm a light sleeper and they accommodated that the rooms are very equipped with what you need for your short stay. The breakfast was amazing. Locations right off the interstate. Easy to get to.

Stayed here as a stopover on a long drive and was pleasantly surprised. Clean and comfortable room, nothing flash, but adequate. Friendly and courteous staff. Free breakfast and free laundry facilities. Quick walk to local restaurant for dinner.

we were not disappointed with the price or quality of the experience.. we were happy to see that the personnel were well trained but especially were they accommodation and helpful. and their willingness to assist you was especially noticed.

1. Front desk friendliness was non-existent. I appeared to be an inconvenience for them. 2. WiFi was horrible in my room and another room that I checked for WiFi stability. WiFi kept dropping out completely. Unacceptable when travelling on business. Gave them a week to resolve it but no success. Checked out after 6 days of waiting. 3. Initially, they wanted me to contact the Internet Service Provider to get the problem fixed. Sorry, that's not my job. That's your responsibility. I travel for work monthly. This is the worst experience I have ever had with any hotel over the past 17 years.

Great people, very nice hotel. The hotel is very tidy, nice grounds, clean common areas. The room I had was clean and comfortable. Internet worked well. Housekeeping was on top of things, my room was serviced regularly.

You have a very nice property in a great location. The housekeeping leaves much room for improvement. Tv programming could be easier to understand. An in-room placard/book describing amenities would be helpful.

I've stayed at this hotel a good handful of times in the past, but this was my first time back in five years, and there have been some updates to the interior and the rooms. The Best Western with the staircase in the lobby, as I remember it. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I slept well as usual -- I choose this hotel because the AC has the option to have the fan run constantly, which helps me sleep, and there is a quiet rule after 10PM, which is a plus. This place stays quiet at night, and that's appreciated. No partiers or loud people. Though the bathroom was very clean, I did have to jiggle the handle to stop the toilet from running; and the water pressure could have been better - it's a bit on the slow side, though there was hot water aplenty. This is a hotel I can trust to be clean, quiet, and comfortable, and that's why I keep coming back here, even if it is not exceptional or spectacular. Staff were always kind, as usual. A safe bet.

Very clean, safe, and quiet hotel. Wifi is so slow, not useable. We moved a room to get wifi, next room had smoke odor, moved again - horribly loud ac heater unit. We were beyond exhausted from a very long drive and not willing to move again. Breakfast was very mediocre at best. Oatmeal in container was beyond thick and had brown areas - burnt? Old? Tested wifi for speed etc. See picture. . Tried reboot on pads and phones no change! over next 12 hrs. Very little change. Listen to sound video of heater ac unit Desk manager said wifi has been this way for two years since hurricane and is not a priority. Photo - speed test. Video noisy cooling heat unit. .

I have always underestimated Best Western. But now I have changed that image. Good old school service. And the room was clean, I had so much to to pick from at breakfast. The waffle mix could have been better, but other than that. I will be staying there again.

Will definitely remember this as a gold rewards member because this was worth the stop. the service right from the start from Renea was exceptional and she was very pleasant and helpful . Best Western should be proud and glad to have such an employee as her. Our room was exceptional and clean and very much as expected. Very easy to get to off interstate and will definitely stay here again! Make it a stop on your list.

We stayed one night. The hotel is located southeast of Sulphur, LA with excellent access to I-10. Check in was fast and good. It included two bottles of water and it really made us feel welcome. Our room was large, very clean and reasonably quiet with a comfy bed. The room was equipped with coffeemaker, micro and a small fridge. The included breakfast was very good and included both hot and cold items.

The hotel was clean and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The staff were very friendly , efficient, and helpful. They were local residents and could answer all our many questions. The breakfast was good. We did have to warm it in microwave. The coffee was EXCELLENT. We had a Wonderful Ladies night out. We were close to the Golden Nugget . We went to see REO SPEEDWAGON. We used lift to get there. It cost approximately $12.50 per trip.

Very nice property that's just off the interstate. We've stayed here before and will stay again in the future. Rooms are big and quiet, the staff is very friendly. There are numerous restaurants close by.

There appears to be a high concentration of mold present in the rooms at this facility. You can smell mold as soon as you walk into the room. Guests are unknowingly being exposed to it. I woke up the first two mornings of my stay with allergy symptoms and a very bad headache. After waking up sick the first two mornings, I requested a different room. The second one was very similar to the first. The smell was not quite as bad, but I still woke up sick the next morning. My stay was pre-paid, however, I chose to leave the hotel two days early and go to a different establishment.

This hotel is clean and very well maintained. I always enjoy staying there when we go to Lake Charles. The rooms are clean and there is always a variety of things to eat in the in the breakfast room. I recommend the hotel because the staff is always friendly and helpful.

The room was clean and comfortable. It also had easy access from the interstate. Most importantly, the staff was outstanding. We had a bad experience at a nearby hotel just a few days before. Renee was so helpful in getting the room we needed and accommodating our requests as I was traveling with my handicapped mother. Then, as we're checking out, Cleo (maintenance guy) stopped to make sure we got in the car ok and had everything loaded! They were just outstanding!

The rooms are great! Love the beds and pillows. The AC works great! The coffee pot in the room takes K-cups! The breakfast is really good. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This is a great place to stay. I will be back.

We stopped here on our way home from vacation. We know we can count on Best Western for a good experience. We also always try to use Trip Advisor to review ratings by other travelers. We came in late and left the next morning, so did not use any of the amenities at this location. Our room was clean (most important part!), the hotel had quiet hours from 10 pm to 8 am which is appreciated. Beds were comfortable, pillows were awesome, which is not usually the case in a hotel. We did take advantage of the complimentary breakfast the next morning. There was a great selection of hot and cold breakfast items..... toast, pastries, waffles, eggs, biscuits, bacon, juices, gravy. The friendly staff kept the area clean and well stocked during the breakfast hours. This hotel is in an industrial area, but we would absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Pool may be green but rooms are clean. Service is friendly and accommodating. They offered me rewards for not cleaning my room every day the maids did not clean my room after I brought them towels downstairs every morning and or night when I returned from a funeral or family function to be exchanged for newer ones. Too late to be upset with an elder parent with me, and a room that I had to clean myself every night after a hot day. Empty the trash, pretty common if I lived there, but I did not. I was a guest. And should have been accommodated as such. And with an 80 year old woman with me. So I will leave it there with your selection of nice rooms with A fridge and microwave, clean sheets, fluffy pillows, a/c which leaks on the floor and try to enjoy your stay here. 4 days. We did enjoy our stay as it was quiet and comfortable and easy to park, and well lit, in spite of the down side. But wont get anywhere above average.

The room was a little warmer than I would've liked. I set the A/C thermostat to 65 and it never cut off; ran all night. However, temps were in the 100's, and my room window faced the west. My main complaint was lack of internet. I had planned to complete some office work on my laptop and send some emails. But I couldn't get it done.

We had booked a grossly inferior "motel" who charged us for 4 days when we checked in! Exterior rooms, no closet, tiny and crime-ridden (all true). We complained and supposedly the manager gave us a total refund. As of today, the credit is still not showing in our bank account. I remembered seeing the BW Plus from the freeway and prayed they had a room for four nights. Beth at the front desk was more than friendly! We qualified for AAA, AARP, and veteran's discounts. The latter made our rate $96 a night. The room was large, clean, the bed comfortable and bathroom immaculate! We were so thankful for our good fortune. An extra PLUS was the full breakfast which included: bacon, eggs, biscuits and gravy, and even breakfast tacos. Offered fruit, juices, cereal, Danish rolls, meat and egg muffins, and much more. Hyacinth was the lady who made sure all was available from about 6 am to 9 am. She deserves a bonus for her contribution to our overall experience!! The hotel only charged us for three nights when we were eliminated from the tourney a day early! Highly recommend this hotel for friendliness and cleanliness!! And it is next to a Cracker Barrel, too.

Check-in was fast, the lady at the front desk was friendly, and our room was very clean. In the morning, the was plenty of hot water for showers. Also, the hotel was only 10 minutes away from Golden Nugget casino in Lake Charles.

Friendly staff, clean hotel rooms and common areas, good location right off the freeway, secluded parking lot, right beside Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Better to stay here than in Lake Charles or at one of the casinos.

Stayed at this hotel from July thru October. The rooms need to be updated. There is mold issues. The lady that does breakfast is the rudest most unprofessional, unpleasant person I've ever dealt with. The young black man is amazing and the older lady that both work the front desk. The rooms are way over priced for the issues. Moved to a suite. 1st one the tub was somehow leaking and causing the ceiling to get damaged below and they kept coming into our room without permission so then my husband had them move him to another suite which was also moldy. The sprinkler was dripping water in the hall by our room with mold all around it also. Bathrooms have mold all around the bar in the bathroom. I even bought bleach cleaner and cleaned every room myself. Parking is a nightmare. My door handle was damaged by a big work truck. They will park on top of your car so u can't even get in.

If you are looking for a long term, or a short term, stay in a hotel in the Sulphur/Lake Charles area and wanted to be treated more like family than just a guest the Best Wester Plus on Exit 23 is the answer to prayers. Complete with friendly staff, free breakfast, super clean rooms and lobby, free washer/dryer available, great pool (not big but just enough to get wet) and plenty of parking. Did I mention in walking distance to Cracker Barrel and Waffle House <3 I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel for several months, though it is not a long-term stay hotel, my job required for me to be gone months at a time therefore having spacious rooms and free washer/dryer available was a perk. But the staff is what made it feel like home. First Impressions: The front desk is guaranteed to welcome you with a huge smile and call you by name. If during the night you will likely be greeted by Ms. Renee who is has never been caught with a frown...she's always smiling. You may also see Ms. Ava whose bubbly personality makes you feel like you've been friends for years. During the day you might have the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Norma, whose kind soul will want you to cuddle up with coffee and talk about life, Mr. Taylor who always goes out of his way for guests or Ms. Jackie who is eager to greet everyone with a smile. Each of these are superstars ! Cleaning Crew: The ladies who clean have hearts of gold. I stayed in this hotel for months and never once had a problem. We put out trash out in the hallways and dirty towels, by the time you get back from work/day excursions, you had a clean trash can and fresh towels. Jenny was always the best, as a manager she lead her team with heart and attention to detail. Emily, Kristy and Angela always greeted everyone with kindness and if there was an issue, they were right on top of it. They helped to make the time staying in a hotel more like hanging out with friends/family than guest. They work hard and it shows. No hotel can run efficiently with out a rock star of a hotel manager Ms. Tracey and maintenance guru Mr. Heath. Both, again, treats guests like family and are quick to respond to any concerns/questions you may have. Attention to detail at the highest level of professionalism is what you will receive from them. TIP: Did you know you can rent out items to make your stay more fun ? YES YOU CAN !! Really :) Uno Cards, Poker Sets and even Grilling Sets so you can use the grills out back. If I could give this hotel more than 5 stars I would. I look forward to my next visit at the Best Western Plus in Sulphur. Thank you.

We stayed in the junior suite as we evacuated for Hurricane Ida. I expected the WiFi to be better at a more business oriented hotel and also $199 a night. Do not come here if you are expecting to conduct business while in your room. $240 for a room and the WiFi is not usable. Staff does not care. They stated I can use the public PC in the lobby. I sat in my car to use my hot spot as a resolution. Room floors are thin and extremely loud when someone is walking above you. This will be the last time I stay at a Best Western.

Rooms were great but for $175 - this was too much money for a place that is not and should not cost this much. Most Best Westerns are half this price! Why so high! Gosh... IF I KNEW THE COST I WOULD HAVE DROVE ON BY TO ANOTHER PLACE TO STAY...

Hotel is nice, some of the staff not so nice. Guy who checked us in was very helpful, told us that breakfast the next morning was until 9:30. We let ourselves have a rare sleep in day and we down around 9 for breakfast. Zero hot food left and when I asked, was told no more coming bc the kitchen was closed. Wasn't super thrilled about that. Low water pressure in our room. Rooms are clean though

A decent roadside hotel in this category. Breakfast was a bit better than expected. Room was tidy and comfortable. Seemed very busy the night we were there. Easy free parking. Overall a reasonable value for summertime travel.

The area that the hotel was in left a lot to be desired, the neighboring hotel had tarps and large trash cans around. The air conditioner in our room was terrible, thank goodness we had a fan with us to make the temperature in the room manageable to sleep in. Ava at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful!

The hotel is far enough away from the road that it is quite. The pillows and mattress were comfortable. We had a good breakfast with hot and cold foods available Staff was friendly and accommodating. We used the pool and enjoyed it too. Would stay again when we are in the area.

The hotel is very clean and well taken care of. They actually cut the grass and take care of the exterior, unlike many who have dropped that during the fake pandemic. The beds are comfy and pillows are good. Nice sized TVs, good internet and decent wifi speed. Nice little pool was open and appeared clean. This hotel is literally steps away from a Cracker Barrel restaurant which is so nice, you don't need to even drive anywhere after a long day to get a good country cooked meal. Conveniently located right off of I-10, in a somewhat clean area that isn't too bad with crime. Verizon network coverage is very spotty here, but that holds with most of LA after hurricane Laura last year, rebuilding is slow. All in all, the hotel is nice but the price was too high. Problem is, all the hotels in LA are high dollar right now, I think due to so many people staying in hotels on FEMA vouchers which are lower fares, meaning those of us who are not, pay a higher premium to make up the difference.

Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Easy to check in and out. Room was great! Bed was very comfortable. Nice refrigerator and microwave in the rooms. Breakfast was really nice. I will stay here again when I'm in town.

We made a reservation for late night stay as we passed through town. Updated rooms, comfortable beds. Awesome orange bathroom soap/shampoo "condiments". Nice deluxe continental breakfast with jimmy dean croissants and biscuits, bagels, muffins etc...wide variety. Very good! I recommend!

Stayed here one night. Girl at desk for checkin seemed like she didn't want to be bothered. This place is way over priced. Nothing special about it. Guess they can charge what they want because rooms are hard to come by in this area. Room was clean and the bed was comfy but the room was sparsely decorated. Breakfast room was small and loaded with workers staying at the hotel. Grabbed a coffee and that was it. Asked for a copy of my bill at checkout and they weren't happy about that either. Won't bother stopping here again in the future.

We enjoyed this Best Western in Sulphur, LA this past weekend. The staff was very friendly and professional. The breakfast was delicious. My husband enjoyed us staying at Best Western to celebrate his Birthday.

Traveling from Coast to Coast and BW is always our #1 choice if they the location is convenient. This location was perfect right off the 10, plenty of parking for larger rig, comfy, clean, safe, good breakfast, great rate and most of all friendly staff that care!!

I left my Kindle behind and Flo pleasantly rescued it by the time we turned around on the freeway and got back to the Best Western. Plus Linda did a really good breakfast. There were good gluten free options.

They where amazingly kind I've stayed a number of hotels but this one was the best one ye . They had great breakfast. they also was quiet No kids runnin round being loud. It was again AMAZING !! KEEP UO YR HE GOOD WORK

I will never forget this Best Western for a reason: EXCEPTIONAL service. I had 0 expectations going into this simple hotel but I was impressed with the quality of staff running this place. We were greeted by smiling front desk staff that you could tell they were so happy to be there for you. I really felt I had the treatment of a 5 star hotel. They gave us a welcome box with very simple items but it's those details that really make a difference. The room was extremely clean and the breakfast with plenty of good options. Upon leaving the staff asked us: “how could we have made your stay better?” I replied: “it was just perfect”. What a good sign of constant improvement and great costumer service here. Congrats to the management of this hotel.

Had an opportunity to stay at a hotel for a sporting event in Sulphur. We chose this BW because of the previous reviews and the proximity to the SPAR Aquatic Center. When we arrived the check in was smooth and quick, the staff extremely helpful and friendly, the room was clean and bed very comfortable. The hot breakfast was fresh and good with plenty of variety. The hotel staff were more than willing to go out of their way to make sure our stay was the best. The hotel was convenient to many dining areas and safe. There were many hotels to choose from in this area but we were glad we chose this BW. We wil be returning back to Sulphur in the future and this hotel will be our top pick again. Would defintely recommend this BW. Thanks to all the staff and 2 thumbs up for a job well done.

We were in town for a family gathering. We booked at Best Western, arrived and checked in. Everything was clean, the rooms were nice and the staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the stay and the next day when we headed out the clerk at the front desked wished us safte travels which was nice as we checked out.

Loved this hotel. It was very nice, clean, & comfortable. This hotel was located at Hwy 108 the exit right before 210 going to the casinos so it was very close & a lot cheaper to stay in. There was a neighboring Cracker Barrel next door but the breakfast buffet here was pretty amazing. They had several choices of cereal, oatmeal, eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, pastries, omelets, & yogurt. I'm sure I am leaving something out because it was so vast. The room was nice & clean with modern decor & they also provided high speed internet. It was still early when I wanted to check-in so I called before going & talked to Regis who was very knowledgeable & accommodating to allow us to check-in early. Definitely recommend this hotel.

We really enjoyed our stay, from the ease of check-in to check-out. Beds and pillows were comfortable, room was very clean and smelled good. A/C was amazing. Breakfast had protein items as well as carbs. Staff were very helpful and friendly! Hotel was very clean and fresh!

this area was under a boiled water advisory and customer was never advised by staff until they were quizzed after seeing report on the news. when quizzed in the morning the staff said they knew about the problem and someone should have mentioned it. they offered a bottle of water and an were sorry message acting like we were over reacting.

Convenient location for business near refineries in Sulphur. The room was clean. The bed was comfy. The breakfast was hot. Really no frills but decent stay for the night. Walking distance to Cracker Barrel was nice for take out back to the room. Room near stairs was bad..heard and felt every step. That's my only complaint. Rate was cheap.

Our stay was great at the Sulfur La BW. Desk people were very helpful getting the room and checking on the awards program. The room was clean and set up nicely. Used WiFi which worked well for us. Will not worry about the 200 characters for the review.. .....

Nice little stop. Received the Guest of the Day Award. Casinos about 10 minutes away. Front Desk was extremely friendly. Overall a great stay. Only problem I can think of is the ice machine broke downstairs but was able to use the upstairs one, so no big deal!

Okay, we just needed a place to stay overnight and didn't require much. We stopped in at 1:00pm on a Sunday and check in isn't until 3:00pm. The girl on the front desk checked with housekeeping for a room that was already prepped and we were good to go. Had a good stay and will use them again if in the area.

From the front desk staff to the breakfast staff were all very friendly and helpful. I stay here on a regular basis, it is my go to property in Sulphur. I will continue to frequent this hotel and refer my friends and business associates to this hotel.

My wife and I had a family emergency so needed to book a hotel room the day that we would be staying and I am glad we chose this place. The staff is extremely friendly and the place was really clean. It is also a quiet place, so we got a good night's rest and the breakfast exceeded our expectations.

This place was a last minute change from another nearby hotel where the pool was out of service. Since this was not our first choice, I was not expecting it to be as nice and was skeptical about the fact that they allow smoking in some rooms. Apparently only the top floor rooms are open to smoking and we didn't smell anything. Breakfast was actually had more variety and the attendant kept it refreshed and clean. The room was clean and pretty quiet. Beds were comfortable and showers and water pressure was strong. We will definitely consider this hotel next time we come through this way.

The hotel was very clean and had all the amenities one would need. Although I didn't eat breakfast, I did go down for more coffee and the lady was very helpful getting the pots filled back up for me, even gave me a tray to carry several cups to family! Regis and Jennifer were very welcoming at check-in! They were so helpful answering questions and even suggesting great places to eat! Will stay again if I come back to area!!

Had to sleep in a hot room, due to no working ac. Pubic hairs in the shower and dirty bathroom sink. Bad location, and breakfast was cold and slimy. Next time I use a hotel I'll choose differently than best western

Love the body wash, and lotion. The soaps were great too. The beds were prefect. Could use night lights in rooms. Would love to see better pictures on the walls. Pool area was real nice. Bedding was prefect too.

The carpet was a little dirty but other than that every thing was fine. The breakfast was fresh and staff kept it full. Front desk staff was polite and friendly. The hotel is located near restaurants, gas stations, and Walmart is less than 5 minutes away.

This hotel was nothing less than superior I would stay at this hotel every time I'm in town everything was spectacular from the front desk reps to the breakfast amenities to the cleaning ladies. I would recommend to everyone.

I can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that allows smoking in the rooms. The whole place stinks of cigarette smoke. They originally had me in a smoking room. There was no indication on the website that I was booking a smoking room. When I asked to move room, I was told I was lucky because there was only one non-smoking room left. It still smelled of smoke, but not as bad. Check-out is 11am. I asked for a one-hour extension and the receptionist refused. After I expressed my feelings, she reluctantly allowed me to checkout at noon. Why did we have to go through the unpleasant conversation first. Just accommodate your guest who is a “platinum member” whatever that means. Do not recommend this hotel.

Hotel is easy to find; close to an eating place; continental breakfast was great; employees were very nice; rooms were nice; loved that they had washer and dryer access; they did have some dead spots for internet/cell phone service

Good place to stay. Breakfast is served pretty early which is a plus especially if you have to work and leave earlier. The staff are alk friendly which is nice also when your away from home several days at a time. I stay here regularly and will continue to do so

Got this hotel while on the highway, it's among a collection of places to stay near the interstate. Hotel is very nice, clean with good internet and computer desk for typical office traveler. Not the cheapest, but certainly the best value.

The Best Western Plus in Sulfur Louisiana is truly the best. We have stayed here on several occasions and never have been disappointed. From the moment we walk in til the time we leave is a great experience. The staff is amazing and caring. All of them go out of their way to accommodate your needs. Very clean. The breakfast is very good also.

We stopped in after reading the reviews. It was wonderful ,clean, friendly bathrooms were spotless . Beds are comfortable Great breakfast not just cereal and donuts a real bacon, sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy.

We were incredibly pleased when we found this gem. Close to I-10 exit. The evening receptionist was fantastic. Our room was spacious and very clean and quiet. Walking distance to Cracker Barrel. Breakfast had lots of options. We will be back for sure.

I was booked in this hotel for 10 days, had 2 other employees stating here and had reservations for 2 more. WE LEFT AND CANCELLED THE FUTURE RESERVATIONS! Not only were there HUGE cockroaches in my room and ants in one of our employee's rooms, SOMEONE WAS ON MY BED WATCHING TV WHILE I WAS AWAY!! TWICE! I alerted the desk agent and had her come to my room to verify. She was quite upset and brought it to the attention of management the next day, I never received a contact by management, no apology and certainly no compensation. We will never use this hotel again, Shame on them!

I stay 2 days for business in this hotel and I found a very good hospitality by all staff, especially by the receptionist Regis. If I will have the opportunity to come to Lake Charles again, I will come here another time.

This hotel is very quite, simple, with very kind staff. Very comfortable bed, clean rooms, lite details to make your stay fine. It is close to I10 so easy to find. It has breakfast included, wifi, daily cleaning, swimming pool, car park.

We have been coming to Sulfur for several years and decided to try a different hotel. I have to say there is no regrets. We were so pleased to be able to know what room we had. We called ahead of time and Cathy and Roxanne were so accommodating. When we arrived the General Manager was working the desk and checked us in. Ms. Tracy set the bar by working the desk the evening hours and making sure we had what we would like to have. The property is clean and well maintained. The room smelled good when you walk in. The restroom was clean and fresh. Thank you housekeeping for the experience we had. The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The coffee was wonderful. We highly suggest this is the place to be. You won't regret it

This hotel is well located, beside the Cracker Barrel and just west of Lake Charles. The staff is friendly, and the hotel is very clean, nice pool and breakfast area. Checked prices with other hotels in the area and this was actually one of the lowest, and the best I have stayed in around that area so I don't check anymore. There is a nearby Holiday Inn Express is also excellent, stayed there when the Western was full.

I was on my way home and this was at the halfway point and I was too tired to continue safely, so I stopped. I have had good experience with this chain and the Sulphur property did not disapoint. I will utilize this property again.

This was the only hotel I stayed at twice on roadtrip. Once on the way to Orlando and once on the way back. It was such a lovely stay the first time that I wanted to stay here again. Very comfortable, clean rooms. Very quiet as well. But what sets this best western apart is the breakfast. They have huge cinnamon rolls and muffins that seem to come from a local bakery. Although I doubt that they do, but they were the highlights of our best western breakfasts. The eggs also change from an omelette style to scrambled. They were omelette the first stay and scrambled the second. It's nice to get a change from the typical scrambled.

As soon as I walked in the room I could tell that it had been smoked in, you could smell it in the hall before I got to the room. The AC was blasting cold but as a non smoker I could still smell it. The room was clean, the bed and pillows were comfortable and didn't smell of smoke. I did talk to the manager the next morning and she was very pleasant about it. I'm assuming it's an ongoing problem for them. The young receptionist the night before must have been new because she gave us a Rewards card rate and then I noticed on the paper before I initialed that she had put $134.00 instead of $120.60 a night. She corrected the mistake but any question I asked about using rewards points or the $10.00 card for the promotion that just started, she was pretty clueless. I felt she needed someone experienced to help her through the training process a little longer. I also wish that on the bill that you would show the customer the Best Western discount deducted from the room rate. We all like to feel that we aren't being taken advantage of because we are older.

I have stayed at every hotel in Sulphur and this one is by far the best for quality, cleanliness, and service. Everything had been perfect just about every time. Staying anywhere else is just waste of your money

The staff went out of their way to provide a pleasant experience. That could not have been any nicer, from checking to breakfast to checkout. They had a great breakfast with healthy choices too. The room was extremely clean. The bed and pillows were average, but still worth staying here just bc of the staff and breakfast! Hey obviously place great emphasis on customer service.

This hotel is an excellent choice with Disney like service. Plus it is seemingly ten steps from a Cracker Barrel from Cracker Barrel. I am charter bus driver, and today I arrived with a bus full of high school soccer players. Mrs. Roxanne handled this large group very professionally and efficiently. When faced with any task she was quick to help as well as deliver above and beyond service. For these reasons whenever I take a group to the lake Charles/ Sulphur area I will recommend Best Western Plus Executive Hotel & Suites.

Got a queen double smoking. I did not want smoking or a queen bed. Though location is pretty convenient, Directions are confusing. Wasn't worth $120. Need to be upfront with smoking preference. Smoking is the exception these days. Smoking is illegal is most public places.

I booked through my best western rewards points. I called and spoke with a rep and got the room booked, non smoking 2 queen room. Upon arrival i was informed all they had available with 2 beds was smoking. I said no thanks since neither my co-worker or myself smoke. Only other option was a king suite where one of us had to sleep on the pull out couch bed. It was terrible u shaped . You could seriously squeeze the mattress flat with 2 fingers. We told front desk and she said she forgot to give us the foam pad to go on top. This helped but was still awful. We asked for another room but they wouldn't budge.

If you're interested in a clean room with great service in the Lake Charles area, this is the one. It is convenient to I-10 with some good restaurants and gas stations near-by. Highly recommend this location.

Traveling from Biloxi MS this provided a convenient location to stop outside of Lake Charles. Room was clean and accommodating. Slept very well. Enjoyed the full breakfast the next morning. If you need a place to stay but don't want to be in Lake Charles I recommend this location.

Had to find a place to stay as my grandson was in a swimming competition in Sulphur LA. I got the room so I could be close to the site. He qualified in the prelims to race in the finals the next day so I was happy I had the room so I could watch this as well.

I took my brother and some of his friends to hackberry on a fishing trip there were no cabins or rooms there so I used my points and got rooms for us the staff made breakfast was ready early for us the are very nice one of the best hotel breakfast I've ever had

Nice big room in very good condition. Very clean and up to date. Staff was very helpful. I was here on business and had plenty of room to set up my temporary office. Convenient to I-10. Will certainly stay again.

Rhonda, Sarah, John at the front desk, and everyone else really went out of their way to assist in many ways and gave great recommendations.Rooms were very clean, pool was always clean. Food was always stocked at breakfast and coffee was always fresh. But the staff really went out of their way!

Welcoming check-in by a wonderful young lady. The room was roomy and clean. The layout of the room allowed for room to work in the desk area. We had pleasant stay. Breakfast was great! I will stay again when in this area.

The Staff at the hotel are the best people ever. They were very friendly and welcoming. Always asked if we needed anything and if we were ok. Ms Brandi one of the hotel employees even cooked gumbo one night and invited us to eat. They all made us feel like family.

I stayed here recently on a business trip. Friendly check-in. I had a king room with separate seating area, large and comfortable, everything was clean. Mini-fridge, microwave, and in-room coffee available. HVAC unit below the window average. Good bed, nice sheets, but no soft pillows available. They were all, IMO, big and overstuffed so if you want a small or soft pillow bring your own. Good closet space, plenty of hangers. Plenty of counter space in the bathroom. Good toiletries. Good shower. Towels not particularly soft. Had trouble with the room wifi on my iPhone but I think that was my phone, it worked great with my Windows laptop. Average desk and chair. Only one outlet on top of the desk though. A business oriented hotel should always have at least two grounded power outlets on top of the desk. One for a device charger and one for a laptop charger. Good breakfast with eggs and cereal and bacon and sausages and waffles and so forth. Only instant oatmeal though. Overall I was happy and would stay here again.

The hotel staff was amazing. They were very accommodating friendly and on point. From the front desk to the maintenance and cleaning staff they all were amazing and friendly. We will be back. We came for a family vacation and originally stayed at a resort that was nasty and not very accommodating after carefully considering cutting our vacation short we decided to go to this hotel and wish we would have the first night we got to the resort. Thank you Best Western for making our vacations awesome.

Rhonda was so helpful with check-in. The entire staff was very accommodating. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was a plus. The customer service was excellent and we enjoyed our stay. I will come back for future visits.

The customer service was excellent and we enjoyed our rest. We received extra blankets and a cot which made our stay so comfortable. The manager went to extra steps to go find the cot for us. That was an definite plus along with that reminds me the size of the room yes awesome. A good night sleep and good breakfast to start our morning drive home. Best Western Plus you're # 1

I have stayed multiple times, and for extended periods of time for business. The front desk staff are very accommodating and go above and beyond to resolve any issues. Housekeeping is fantastic, always a clean room at check in and throughout my stay. The rooms are cleaner than the casino hotel and a lot cheaper. For extended stays, I would recommend one of the 2 room suites. lots of extra room.

all was great --- staff and hotel in general -- kids had a great time in the outdoor pool we stopped in for a hotel after traveling on the way back from mexico -- really tired -- we got a total of two rooms -- loved that we had a laundry facility to use free of charge so that we could catch up on the laundry from the previious few days of travel ,,,,, great place and will return again

They have the best breakfast of all the comparable hotels we've been to. Cinnamon rolls and the frittata were great. Paula went above and beyond to make our breakfast experience enjoyable! Will definitely stay again when passing through the area.

First day was great. When we came back in from our family reunion on Saturday afternoon the room had not been cleaned, garbage not taken out. Very disappointed since I had told my cousins how nice the place was on Friday night.

Great Hospitality. ..Had a very minute discrepancy w/ a couple of pillow cases. Amber(front desk) went above & beyond to take care of the matter. One of the beds squeaked every time you moved; but that still wasn't enough to cause the stay to be unpleasant. Otherwise, the beds & pillows were comfortable. Every staff member we came into contact with from front desk, house keeping & even those in the breakfast area were friendly, polite & courteous. You guys are the TRUE DEFINITION of exceptional customer svc & hospitality! Will definitely stay here again whenever I'm in the Lake Charles /Sulphur area!

No night security. UNACCEPTABLE!!!! A hotel sold out in a high crime area must have security. Very wrong leaving a woman by herself at night. The hotel is in an area of a major industrial boom with thousands of people in from all over the US and from other countries.

If you like gambling at Isle of Capri and Delta Downs then this a perfect motel for you. It is about 15 miles from Delta Downs and about 5 miles from Isle of Capri. It is right off of I10 so it is easy to get on or off of the freeway.

Very clean, quiet. It is used by many area workers but only seen at night in small groups. They kept to themselves and other than seeing their trucks, wouldn't even know it. Friendly staff, good food.

When we arrived at the Hotel the reservation didn't appear on their computer at all. I had to pay for a room that we had already booked and now I have to unsnarl the Banking Issues. The Hotel was good. There was not enough towels in the room for us.

This hotel has it all! Our room was spotless, the common areas were great and the landscaping was spectacular. Loved the pool area also. You had your choice of sun or shade. The biggest plus was there is a Cracker Barrel next door. We walked to dinner!

The employees at this hotel are friendly and will do anything they can to make your stay as pleasant as possible. Breakfast was great. Rooms were very clean and up to date. location was great to get to a casino in Lake Charles. Wonderful place to stay.

Doing work at one of the local refineries, This is a great location and a clean, comfortable place to stay. The staff is always helpful and outgoing. Would recommend it for a long term and a quick overnight while traveling.

This hotel is close to places to eat. Check in was easy and the staff was wonderful. Quiet and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms were clean and everything was in working order.

Though I have had a few incidents with cleanliness, the instant I notify the desk, they address it and follow up to make sure it was resolved to my satisfaction. They go out of their way to make me feel welcomed and taken care of. I have been very comfortable at this hotel and have been staying for long stretches while working a project in the area. They have made it very easy to be there and when having to stay extended periods while working, this is a big plus for me!

I spent a week in this hotel on my business trip to Sulphur La. The room was very spacious and comfortable, It is in a great location and easy access from the interstate.. The manager Tracy French was very kind and made me feel like a VIP on my stay. The have a great warm breakfast every morning with great selections and choices daily.. It was a pleasure to end my day and know that I was going back to comfortable place to stay where everyone on the staff was kind and pleasant .I spend 40 + week a year in Hotels and this one will rank at the top of the list as far as places I look forward to coming back to next year. If you are going to be in the Lake Charles area this hotel would certainly one I recommend you consider.

First off let me just say that the service at this Best Western is over the top awesome, such a wonderful bunch of people, very friendly, and will definitely bend over backwards to accommodate you. The room was very nice, bed was great, woke up with no backache! Conveniently located right off the interstate, and next door to a Cracker Barrel, which I might add you will not need to visit for breakfast because this Best Western serves up a fantastic breakfast, such a variety buffet, really good food! and coffee is the BEST!...I don't normally do these reviews on motels but this place really impressed me for a motel stay...and to top it off, their fitness room had everything I needed to get in a quick workout...seriously will be staying here again

overall was fine. bed was a little hard, but amenities were satisfactory and hotel personnel was very nice. trash was not emptied daily, but room was touched up daily which was sufficient. plenty of space and convenient layout for business use. all in all was a good experience and will return for my next business trip

I was very pleased with this stay from the front desk all the way to our room. The staff were friendly and efficient. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The hotel was quiet at night. Highly recommend this facility. Conveniently located near several food options.

Everyone at Best Western so very nice and truly wanted our stay at their motel to be the best in service and comfort. The friendliness made us feel welcomed and at home. The morning breakfast could not have been better and the employee setting up the breakfast truly wanted us to be satisfied with the breakfast served, which we were.

I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel. I will always use this hotel in the future. The staff was perfect, reminded me of the lady name Flo on the progressive insurance commercial. Super Fantastic.

There are a number of hotel choices in the immediate area to this one. I had stayed at a couple of the other facilities before I tried this one. Since staying at the Best Western, every time I come to Sulphur I chose this facility. I never even bother to check the others. Always extremely satisfied with service and accommodations.

This hotel is top notch, and really goes the extra mile to make your stay great. My boyfriend is working on a contract down there, and those early mornings the breakfast staff have "to go" breakfast ready for the guys. The beds are beyond comfortable, the staff are considerate, and overall great stay and well worth the money spent.

I can say enough about Rhonda at the front desk, she was very friendly and helpful, very good personality , Great job ????????. Romo clean ,confortable,quite. Breakfast was good !and very close to the casinos. Great stay????????????????

We stayed here for business and when we needed to extend our time, for another week, they were very accommodating. Until 3 days later when they tried to kick us out of our. Then we extended again, as our business still was not finished, with no issues. The kitchen crew, especially Paula, are great. She was very helpful and went out of her way to suggest places in the area to visit on our weekends. My biggest complaint was the cleaning staff banging on the door when we clearly had the do not disturb sign on. Then how rude she was. Then the desk bombarded us with phone calls. Do they not understand what "do not disturb means"? Or is it a lack of respect or consideration for their guest needs or wants? We are here on business. Working in the heat, and there was a group of young softball players running around on the second floor all night. Its was a Saturday morning, If we want to sleep in or relax, why are we being disturbed?

The staff is friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent and clean. The bed was more firm than i care for, but otherwise it was good. The pillows were soft and comfortable. The air conditioning worked beautifully - this was in June, so it really had a workout. The breakfast was varied and adequate but not the best I've ever had. All in all a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

Best nights sleep at a hotel. Mattress and pillows were very comfortable, better than some more expensive hotels I've stayed at. Hotel desk staff were very helpful with suggestions for places to eat, along with directions & menu to the one I decided on.

We had reservations at another place; but, we did not feel safe nor did it look clean. We had a last ditch effort to call Best Western Plus again to see if there were any vacancies (softball tournament in town). They had a vacancy!! From the moment we called the first time to the time we left, the staff was wonderful. We even had a small problem (due to storms, a leak developed) and the staff took great care to move us to another room and made sure we were okay. They apologized numerous times (as if it was their fault that the storms occurred). I can't speak enough of how great this hotel and was a pleasure it was to meet the staff!! Thank you for all of your hard work!!

Great place to spend the night. Very comfortable bed and nice breakfast. Internet was a little slow, but overall a great stay. I don't have 200 words to say about anything but this dumb survey won't let me say only what I want to say, it requires 200 words. If this isn't 200 words then I quit.

The staff was excellent from booking to welcoming me to the hotel. They immediately got me to my over sized room. It was a suite with two rooms and it was top notch. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone passing through the area. Rhonda at the front desk was especially helpful. She deserves a 10!

Great experience, awesome staff, easy check-in/check-out, fast internet, great air conditioner, ample breakfast...they even had contact solution when I ran out - only complaint was that the bed was a tad too hard.

Desk personnel excellent, kitchen excellent and clean and the hostess in the kitchen was very polite .Very good coffee coffee.Good parking , walking distance to cracker barrel. Also very good room service. The beds were very comfortable.

Stayed here for four nights while visiting wildlife refuges in southwest Louisiana because there are virtually no other options along the Creole Trail between Sulphur and the Gulf Coast. Other than the annoying sound from the A/C unit (typical in this price range hotel) and high speed internet that's not very "high speed," this Best Western delivers what most travelers would expect. The room was clean, bathroom was spotless, beds were comfortable, and the breakfast room was pretty typical. We found nothing that would deter us from staying here again if we should ever be in the area.

Nice rooms, good beds, pleasant service and a decent breakfast. Traveling on IH 10, take the Cities Service exit, go south and make the first right and then immediately right again in front of the Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Hotel will be on the left.

Was a wonderful stay. Nice rooms and a good hot breakfast. Customer service was awesome. A little bit pricey though for the area. But recommend the stay there. I even left my pillow by accident and called them the next day and they had it there and we sent a friend by there to pick it up.

Great location, right off I-10. Nice, friendly workers. Rooms were very clean and offered free laundry. The people behind the desk were very helpful and kind while checking me in. Only bummer was the printer was out of service.

Like to get away for a fun weekend and this is located close to all the casinos.There is a Cracker Barrel next to it that we often use plus other resturants close by.We always enjoy our stay here. We usually just spend one night but our overall experience had been very good. This is not far from shopping center if you need or want something. We like our neighboring state. Good food, good people there.

Hotel was a great place to stay while traveling across the country. Easy access to highway. If I could have stayed longer, I would have. Breakfast was great, room and premises were well maintained, staff was friendly.

This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and, once again, our experience was excellent. From reservation to check-out the staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. The complementary hot breakfast was delicious and varied day to day. The rooms were spotless and the bed and pillows extremely comfortable. Since our experience at this Best Western, we have stayed exclusively with chain and have never been disappointed. Highly recommended.

I travel to the Sulphur/Lake Charles Area weekly from Houston for business. If the day has been long I sometimes stay over. I have been doing this for the last 10 years. For the last 8 or 9 years I have stayed exclusively at this Hotel. Why? The service, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff. Plus the breakfast is awesome! There are many other hotels in the area. And I've tried most of them! But I haven't found one that measures up to the Best Western. 3 employees called me by name and none of them were at a computer. They make a habit of making you feel at home.

Stayed here visiting family and was pleasantly surprised. Conveniently located right off I-10, with free breakfast in the morning. Facility and room was very clean and comfortable. Showers had nice water pressure and hotel staff was very friendly at check in. Also has a cracker barrel and a waffle house in short walking distance.

horrific stay, room was never cleaned when agreed upon.never got extra towels and shampoo like i asked for, had to go to front desk and ask for more. i asked to change bedding and staff only made bed. totally not satisfied with overall performance.

Pleasant staff, Professional and friendly. Nice room. Was smoking room which is hard to find so was very glad to get one. Comfortable bed. Was offered use of pool, laundry area, computer hook up and breakfast in the morning.

Hotel was very clean inside out. customer service was excellent. bed and pillows were amazing. had a great night sleep. security was good. only problem was the room smell a bit like someone had smoked in there. but opened door for a bit and went away. breakfast area needs to be expanded. other than that i was very satisfied with hotel room and service. :)

This is a wonderful hotel. Super comfortable bed & pillows. Excellent breakfast - with brewed Community Coffee. Free USA Today and the local paper are provided. The best staff - caring, kind and helpful. We didn't want to leave. Just a great place. Adjacent to The Cracker Barrel.

The hotel room is spacious, comfortable and clean. Internet was a bit slow and breakfast could be better, the eggs were way below my expectations, they were just fried eggs and were cold. Hot water for tea was not very hot (I did breakfast at 7am so I don't think that time was an issue. Everybody was nice. I forgot my toothpaste and in 3 minutes I had one form the hotel.

Tracy and the staff including Maureen,were very helpful in removing the stress and trials of traveling in the rain on I-10. The location is very QUIET and accessible off and on when traveling on I-10 East and West. We will pick this location the next time we are in west Louisiana. and the breakfast selection is very good and tasty and all the hot items were hot not luke warm and tasteless as I have experienced at other places. All my traveling issues were removed after a quiet relaxing sleep in those large comfortable beds at BEST WESTERN PLUS Executive Hotel & Suites, Sulphur, LOUISIANA.
