Best Western Staunton Inn

Clean, friendly, and a really great breakfast by BW standards. Nice decor touches in the lobby area. This is NOT a new hotel, but the rooms were very clean, the fridge had all its shelves (believe me, that's a plus/unusual) and the microwave, although noisy, worked well. They have a nice guest laundry room at $2/load, which isn't mentioned anywhere online. We were in a king room which only had one armchair and a rickety desk chair — why not have a second armchair or put in a love seat instead? Lots of room for it. That said, we'll come back here.

Easy on & off to I-81. This exit has many traveler services such as gas stations, restaurants, etc. There's even a Walmart & a Martin's ( a bit more upscale with great deli food. prepared meals, soups, etc.).

Always a great stay at BW, Comfortable bed and consistent quality. Can always count on BW . Always friendly and a good breakfast to send you on your way. Being gold members, we try to stay at BW when we travel.

We have stayed here many times and each time has been great. The staff is caring and friendly. The rooms are clean and breakfast is great. This time we had pets with us and they were very accepting of it.

Very good value and the location is excellent. The rooms are spacious and clean. My dog had a nice place to go out and there was doggy bags/trash cans. The breakfast was good but the same every morning, we were there 3 days.

We had a fast check in and check out. Room was comfortable and spacous. There was a dust build up behind the bathroom door, on the floor and on the window where upper pane and lower pane meet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty sparce. Instant oatmeal just doesn't excite me. Eggs and tasteless sausage links. A few other thinng but nothing interesting. We would stay again if in the area.

The difference between BW Plus and BW was noticeable. The place needs some updating, at least our Bathroom looked like it was updated for quite some time. One drawer regularly opened itself, and it looked like quite a few other guests tried to resolve the problem, but failed. Our room was not ready when we checked in at 5 p.m., and House keeping had not more time to hoover the rooms.Breakfast selection was average, nothing special.

Stained sheets, threadbare towels, dingy carpet and a stale smelling room. A shower that made me think I would feel dirtier after a shower. Front desk staff are very nice, but every other thing about this hotel is revolting. And it was close to $200 for one night in an average sized room in the middle of no where. And it's on the train tracks. Stay anywhere else.

Well kept dog friendly property with nice breakfast, good bed, (like all BW, lousy lumpy pillows) good water pressure near highway 10 minutes from downtown. We'd stay again. Roomy was roomy with lg dog.

Great clean place and friendly service from everyone. Thanks to all of the staff who goes over and beyond for services and the breakfast was excellent and clean...I was at this particular location because of my son's major surgery @ UVA and appreciate all of the kindness..Best Western only for me if and when I travel ... they're the best

What a disappointment this was. I read all the glowing reviews but our experience was definitely not that at all. This place is dumpy and worn out, which I can live with if it's well-maintained. This one isn't. Every time we flushed the toilet the bathroom sink would back up; there was dirt on the floors, the bathroom exhaust fan was absolutely filthy, and the under-window heat/ac unit smelled of mildew and gave me a huge allergy sneezing fit and headache. The free breakfast was cold cereal and bagels. No fruit, no eggs/sausage as advertised. I am canceling my upcoming reservation with a Best Western in Michigan next week because I don't want to chance this kind of experience again. There are other budget-priced hotels that are way better than this,

This place is a good value for the money. Staff was pleasant upon check in and as so many said the women staffing the breakfast room were wonderful, pleasant and helpful as can be. The bed was comfortable and the room clean and spacious. It met our needs

Front desk staff, April was great!!! Very friendly and got us checked in quickly! The room was ok. It smelled of urine and there was long hair on bathroom floor. It was late and I didn't want to wait for another room. If you have to stay, don't stay on the back side of the building. We were woken up at 5 am to the train passing by. They did tell us about this but it was dark when we checked in and I didn't even know where the tracks were.

Clean quiet Jessica the desk person was awesome. Suggested if you places to eat, gave me a brochure for pizza close to gas close to the food quiet street has a pool inside was very clean very quiet even with children in there was very quiet. I enjoyed my stay. I got a good nights rest the bed was very comfortable.

husband & I have stayed here in the past many times & never experienced any problems. Easy location to get to with plenty to do in the area. Hotel staff was friendly, check in was easy, rooms are clean.

We just needed a place to sleep in the middle of a 1000 mile road trip. This was a fine hotel. Nothing fancy, but clean and decent. Desk staff was friendly. Didn't try the breakfast as we went to Mrs. Rowe's next door. The person who checked us in warned us about a train that would go through in the middle of the night, but said we were on the opposite side of the hall from the tracks. I heard it as the engines went by, but fell right back to sleep. Would stay here again.

This hotel is in a good location, I felt safe on the property. The rates are good and they accept pets. It's always been clean and the staff is friendly, accommodating and efficient and there is much to see in the area.

This Best Western is always so clean and the breakfast is very good with several choices. The check in staff is very friendly and helpful. We've stayed there several times because of all those reasons.

The room was somewhat dated and could use a facelift. It was clean although worn. Very pleasant staff and comfortable enough for what we needed. The staff was friendly and welcoming. We were able to check in a little early which was appreciated.

Traveling on a long trip heading from New England to Florida. Not looking for anything fancy, just a place for a good nights rest. Rooms very clean, beds were very comfortable, everything in the room worked well. This place fit the bill for what we were looking for.

The rooms and premises were exceptionally clean. The beds were the most comfortable and very much appreciated after a long day of travel. The variety of food for breakfast was excellent. All this for a reasonably priced rate.

Very easy to find, just off the exit of I81. A restaurant was next door for convenience. Upon check in, the room was not quite ready but we only waited about 10 minutes. The bed and shower were both great. The only downside was there wasn't a hot breakfast other than make your own pancakes. But many cold items are offered. A pleasant stay!

Easy to make reservation for that night via phone. Easy check in, clean and comfortable room. Did not take advantage of breakfast there. Overall nice stay! Wish I had brought my bathing suit! I would have liked to have taken a dip in the pool!

One often sees an older property with many small repairs needing attention. Not here. This is a well kept property with immaculate rooms and very. reasonable rates. They are pet friendly and there is no additional fee. Breakfast is mostly instant but quite adequate. Room was comfortable and we will return.

Excellent hotel. Emaculately maintained and secure. Friendly and helpful staff. Indoor pool, light breakfast. Coffee and tea in the lobby 24 hours a day. Close to restaurants, stores, roadways, trails, etc. Our room had a view of a hill with trees rail road tracks behind, beautiful and soothing. Only one train came through while we were there; no horn, just thr clickity clack of the cars. The kids loved it.

This Best Western was great! Everyone was friendly and nice. The rooms were clean, quiet, and dark. The AC worked great. The breakfast was good and the internet worked just fine. Not a Plus but maybe it should be!

We have stayed here twice each year for the last three years. So, we like this Best Western in Staunton. Why? Firstly, it's very convenient just off I-81. It has a Cracker Barrel practically next door and just up the local road there are many services a traveler may need. And further up that road is Staunton which is worth a visit. And, not to be overlooked, it's not overpriced. The people at the front desk have always been pleasant to deal with as are the ladies in the breakfast room. Breakfast is adequate considering the restrictions caused by Covid. The rooms we've had have all been comfortable. Good beds, a couple of chairs, wifi normally good but we had a access problem the morning we left, room reasonably clean, HVAC worked well but a little loud, no problem with hot water and our neighbors were pretty quiet which seems to be the trend when we stay here. We will caution you to book a room NOT in the back facing the railroad. Those steel wheels and steel tracks are noisy; especially at night. The first 2 floors allow pets so book floors 3 or 4 if you prefer.

Hotel is very clean, beds and pillows are comfortable with an excellent staff. I would recommend and we will be back. Bathrooms are clean w/tub/showers and large vanities to accommodate dob kits and cosmetics.

I paid a non-refundable charge for the room. Then when I go to check in they tell me that I need to sign off that I'll be staying in a room next to a train track. Telling me before I paid would've been nice. That million dollar view woke me up in the middle of the night. Went to take a shower and there was a hair in the tub… it wasn't my hair. And, the bed wasn't level. Felt like I was going to roll off the bed. Not a great stay at all.

We were looking for a nice place to stay near waynesboro and this place had a great price and good ratings. Lobby was in great shape, the room was perfect especially considering it was a pet friendly room{no smell} bed was comfy, a/c worked great and bathroom was excellent.

This property is very neat and clean, wonderful staff and are also pet friendly. We stay here often and recommend it. There are many restaurants close by, along with an ABC store and a pet park within 10 minuets of the hotle.

We stay at this specific Best Western twice a year for several nights. The staff is always friendly, the hotel is clean and we love we can bring our dog with us, he is always welcomed by the staff and guests. I highly recommend this Best Western!

We booked a room here because pets stay free. We were told by the person making our reservation that the only room left was on the side nearest the train tracks and that they don't know when the train will come thru. We heard the train a couple times but it wasn't terrible. The room was very comfortable and very clean. They have a nice dog walking area. I'd highly recommend this hotel for those traveling with a pet or those without.

Our stay at Best Western was great. Clean, friendly and great price. Front desk clerks were very, very a nice and helpful. Definitely would book again. Desk clerks informed us of the train tracks in back of hotel but didn't bother us when it went by at 4 am. My husband never even heard it!!!

This is a repeat visit to this particular Best Western. We remembered good service and reliably comfortable rooms. Just beware that there are not microwaves in every room even if posted as such. There is always a centrally located microwave to be used as needed.

We travel A LOT. We have stayed in a number of Best Westerns. This one fell in the middle of the ones we have stayed. It is what I think of as a 'Sightseeing Bus Hotel'. The staff was fine. The room was large, quiet (I-81 side), the bathroom clean. On the negative side, the elevator was filthy. There were covid signs all over how they disinfect the common areas. They may disinfect them, but they need to be cleaned. Smeared windows, dirty walls. Come on folks, look around! The breakfast was marginal at best. Everything pre-packaged (probably months ago). The breakfast lady was a hoot, and VERY helpful. Apparently the microwave and the pancake machine are both quite tempermental and she was giving insturctions every direction what buttons to push so the prepackeaged stuff was heated correctly and didn't blow up! Would I stay there again? Probably not...there are lots of choices in the area. But, in a pinch, I would. BTW No guest laundry.

Very nice staff and the hotel was generally in good condition though there were a few things that needed repairs. The in room tvs were small but the indoor pool was a hit with the kids. Overall, a very nice stay.

Had a great stay at a very clean and very accommodating BW hotel! The rooms were very clean and well stocked. The WIFI was easy to get on to and also fast. Steve the Front Desk Manager went out his way to ensure that I had the best rate and that I got the most points for my stay.

Traveling Through Again! We stay here on our way from Vermont to North Carolina each year. Always friendly staff and not full of day workers with grills etc. outside hotel. We are not staying at one in NY because of this issue. Here is very nice and clean and super quiet.

Great value for the money. They warn you about the train going by behind the hotel but it never bothered us because it did sound its horn. Clean comfortable rooms, nice breakfast and staff. Convenient location off hwy 81.

This Best Western hotel was staffed by professional and courteous employees. The room was what I expect from Best Western which is one of the reasons I choose to stay there - consistency, service, affordability.

I stopped at this hotel on a recent motorcycle trip to New York from North Carolina. I wish my destination hotel was as clean and nice as this one. I would recommend The Best Western in Staunton, Virginia to anyone!

Always a please to stop at the Best Western Staunton. Always great with a smile. Breakfast was good. Elevators. Clean and very quiet rooms. Relax and enjoy the mountains. Plenty of eating places and of course next to Mrs Rowes.

I've stayed here before , good quality for the price , very family friendly. Customer service was great, Covid friendly, very pet friendly also , no real issues , would stay again , pretty good overall !!

Great staff but room had pet stains on carpet, mold in a/c, and an extremely heavy chemical smell (probably cleaning chemicals). Didn't complain but caused an extreme exacerbation of moms COPD. Had to leave at 5am because mom started wheezing in her sleep. I think every room is pet friendly. This hotel at this location was recommended by a family member. They should put bars in the windows so that windows can be opened. They're nailed shut. Opening the window would have helped to clear out the chemical smells.

We expected a microwave in the room and had brought food to warm in the room. There was no microwave. There may have been one in the lobby but I did not want to use the think in a public place. Breakfast starts at 7 and we wanted to be on the road before then. Little things but they altered our stay to less than pleasant.

Nice hotel, very convenient off I81- just what we were looking for. Reasonable rate, clean room and basic breakfast. BW often has hot breakfast option items, but this one did not. There were many packed items, which I get because of Covid, but not too environmentally friendly. All in all, a good experience. We would return!

Motel all good, but train tracks next to motel were not mentioned in motel details on website. We were rather surprised when we saw/felt train going by right by our window. Bet the land to build motel was very cheap!

The Best Western in Staunton VA. is located easy on and off I-81. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. Food is nearby. Rooms are clean and very well equipped. We try to stay there every trip up and down the feast coast.

The hotel might be an older facility, I had a hard time telling if it was. Either way, it was an excellent stay. There are train tracks right behind the hotel, so not necessarily for light sleepers, especially not on the side of the hotel facing the tracks, but my family and I had no problem with this. If you're a train buff, like my son, this is the place you want to stay!

Traveling through to TN for Easter with family, this hotel made our overnight stay an extremely memorable one. You can tell the hotel has been there awhile BUT there's a lot to say foe quality maintenance on a property. When entered the lobby, we were greeted with a friendly and smiling front desk staff. They immediately made us feel welcome. The place is so clean. Even the parking lot was clean. We enjoyed the heated pool too! Housekeeping is doing a great job and they keep everything sanitized. We travel quite often and can't wait to stay again!

Pretty much all that you could want from a Best Western. Clean, quiet, well-located, and the staff knows what they are doing. Breakfast room was well managed. Like that there is a Cracker Barrel right next door.

Person that checked me in was very nice. Room seemed ok. Bathroom had hair in the sink and shower that didn't belong to myself or family but that was fine, we all have hair. Breakfast was awful, grabbed a muffin and my 6 year old pointed out that a large portion of the side was eaten I looked it over and it looked like a mouse ate through the wrapper and ate a good bit of the muffin. Brought it to the lady's attention ( the one that followed u around while u grabbed breakfast? ) she tried to tell me it just got caught in the lid and that's why it looked like that!! Decided to grab a bagel instead and there was mold!! So disgusting, paid $99 and couldn't even eat breakfast. Will never use best western again!!

I stay here every time I am in town from Michigan to visit my daughter at college. The front desk staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and you cannot hear hallway or noise from the other rooms. In the last two years I've stayed here probably close to 15 nights. Always a nice stay.

We've stayed at this motel before and it was as good as we remembered, with appropriate pandemic-year modifications to the included breakfast. It's comfortable, has a friendly staff, and is conveniently located close to I-81 exit 222. There's a good restaurant adjacent to the motel, and lots of other places to eat in town. Stop in Staunton, and don't miss the Frontier Cultures museum!

in general hotel was okay. room left a lot to be desired - outdated and marginally clean. one bed had something between mattress and sheets. bathroom could have been cleaner. no guest guides or other info in room

I realized recently, I travel a lot more than I realize (or give myself credit for). It's a love-hate activity; in recent years the hate part has been the pending nights in in motels. It's a practice recent horror stories are fresh reminder, road tripping just isn't the joy it has been in years past. Two industry trends are to blame: One, lodging “brand aggregators” such as Windham and Choice, are intensely focused on selling franchises and lodging systems to ANY willing buyer, leaving guest satisfaction increasingly out of the equation. And two, franchises increasingly are being sold to foreign born Indians and Indian-Americans. In my experience, some of these franchisees — especially the ones who are there at check-in to give you the “once-over” (like the evening clerk did to me at the Hagerstown, MD Sleep Inn a week ago) — these fraudsters see your personal credit card as their opportunity to enrich themselves beyond what's negotiated at the front desk. Best Western isn't immune from the greedy whims of franchisees, in my experience. But this one motel chain, which I've patronized for more than 21 years, appears infinitely better in caring about and protecting the rights of guests — the paying customer. So when I say my stay at the Best Western Staunton Inn was rather unmemorable, that can and should be interpreted as a good thing. A few things did stand out. I know their “supposed” to do it, but being greeted as a Best Western Awards member by a warm, friendly desk clerk increasingly is starting to REALLY mean something -- and the little 500-point bonus offer the desk clerk offered was nice too. On the other hand, I do remember that the breakfast offerings were awful. Lastly, this was a pet friendly hotel, but the property isn't well configured to go for a walk with your best friend. So while in earlier days I would say the price I paid at this motel was steep for what I got. But I have to say, just the peace of mind of getting in and out of a Best Western without something awful happening certainly adds value to this hotel brand not seen with the other mega-chains.

Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful clean and updated rooms. Great location right off the interstate. Continental breakfast with choice of breakfast burrito or sandwich. Pet and kid friendly. Even had a biscuit for my puppy!

Clean, Friendly, Comfortable Hotel in the City Limits of the quaint Town of Staunton, VA. I stay here at least 2-3 times a year to visit family. There is an indoor pool that is kept sparkling clean, and they welcome Pets. An excellent Hometown Restaurant, Mrs. Rowe's is next door to the BW and you will not want to eat anywhere else!! This Inn is an excellent place to stay on a budget or not!!!

We stayed at this hotel on the way to Florida. The rooms were updated, very clean and well appointed. It had the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in at a hotel. The staff were courteous, check in was smooth. The only shortcoming was that breakfast was served too late. We will stay in this hotel again and would recommend to others

We travel north to south twice a year to bring my mom and her cat from NH to FL and then back to NH. We ask and pay extra for pet friendly options. Our expectation is a clean room with clean floors. There were several carpet stains, two were tacky. Yuck! Nothing a quick steam clean wouldn't handle! Just a thought. We travel the same route each year and look for repeat accommodations.

We have stayed at this hotel many times. The rooms are a nice size and clean with a nice decor. The staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sparse due to COVID but staff gave us a 10% discount coupon for a hot breakfast at the restaurant next door. Normally this hotel's breakfasts are quite good. Staff wore masks. There is a large in-room user friendly safe in each room which accommodated our 15-inch laptops. Internet was quite good for streaming. The bath towels were a nice thickness for a mid-range hotel which we appreciated. The only problem encountered was that the bathtub did not hold the water well.

Nice little town and the access off the highway is easy. Comfortable room, but the breakfast is truly horrible! Everything is commercial crap you would find in vending machines. Would not stay her again for hat reason. Ask for a room away from the train tracks

I just checked in (and immediately checked back out) of this hotel. I was assigned two rooms on the 4th floor during my very brief stay of less than 30 minutes - both were dirty and so I made the decision to leave. The first room had what appeared to be plastic/paper trash on the floors and hair on the bathroom floor. The second room had hair on both the bathroom floor and on the TV stand (none of which could be mine as I'm very fair headed and these were all much darker). The front desk person was understandably upset at the poor level of service, and agreed to not charge me any fee whatsoever for the few minutes I spent in both rooms. He also indicated that he would be contacting the manager to discuss the issues, as the lack of cleanliness was uncharacteristic of that facility. I was frustrated that he insisted that I had booked my stay through a third party site, which I absolutely did not (and have never done so, I always book direct through the hotel site). Apparently the Best Western website may reroute you unknowingly to a third party for booking, so please be aware.

Convenient location next to I 81. It is a relatively recent construction and looks clean and inviting. Room is ordinary but comfortable. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired . Everything is prepackaged and processed except for bananas and yogurt.

The hotel is not fancy but very practical for family to stay. The price is inexpensive, but the room is clean and spacious with essential items; staff is friendly; services is great. The hotel is located right after major highway which is convenient.

Stayed for the night on a fall trip to the area. Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean room, and perfect location right off the interstate. Breakfast was good, (especially the cinnamon danish). Highly recommended.

The Hotel was fairly clean, the room definitely had an odor when walking in but was taken care of by Lysol. Not very much attention is given to the things that aren't part of the cleaning schedule. Many of the power plugs and usb plugs did not work.

Beds were very comfortable and room was clean ,lady's friendly in the morning at the desk made checking in easy. The breakfast was simple but filling and the lady was so helpful she warmed my biscuit and muffin very friendly

A nice hotel, that is in a great location off I-81. The help was very nice and the accomodations were very clean. Breakfast was great too with a nice selection of items to choose from.i would return to this place when in the area again.

We have traveled with our small dog many times. This was one of the best hotels for pet friendly we have ever stayed in!!!! No noise, room was extremely clean as were the grounds . Staff was very nice. Would definitely use them again.

The room was very comfortable. The blackout curtains did their job wonderfully and I was so happy to find Coca-Cola machines and not Pepsi machines! I was impressed with how quiet the place was and how sweet the staff were.

The title says it all: comfortable beds, clean rooms.The room was quiet, staff was helpful, interesting little town. It is next-door to a little family run restaurant (Mrs Rowes) not impressive facility, but run by sweet, older women) where everything is homemade.

I recently spent a Sunday night here while traveling to WV. I was traveling with my dogs so I'm never sure what type of place I'll be able to book. I was more than pleased with this Best Western. Reserved my room over the phone before arriving. Very easy. The hotel front desk staff was very pleasant. I got a room on the 1st floor which was convenient with my dogs. The room was very clean and nicely appointed. The bed was very comfortable which provided a good night's sleep. The hotel was very quiet, parking convenient. Most importantly, I was traveling alone and felt very safe in the hotel. I will definitely stay here again if traveling in the area. Highly recommend this hotel.

Right off the highway. Clean, reasonably priced. Friendly staff. Good stopping point on trip from Northeast to Georgia. Rooms were clean, bed comfortable. Tony worked the breakfast area. He kept it very clean and was very friendly.

We booked here for two nights so we could start our trip down the blue ridge parkway. It's a great location to see the end of the sky line parkway as well. The staff was so nice during our entire stay. The pool was clean and felt great after a day of sweating in the woods. It's a short drive to downtown Staunton. The breakfast options were meh but we understood that covid has changed how all BWs are doing breakfast right now. The room was decent and clean, no frills, but the fridge worked well for us, which I needed for infant bottles.

We booked 1 night on our way to NC from NY using BW rewards points. I called while driving to say we were definitely coming but it would be after 9. “No problem” was the response, with a smile you could hear through the phone from Steve. Check in was hassle free. We had trouble with the door, (User error) Steve was great with helping us and offered to help carry our bags. My sister and I felt safe and slept well. The next morning Steve was still there and greeted us again with a smile. Steve was very kind and made the first leg of our trip more fun. We would definitely stay again!

This is a somewhat older hotel just off the interstate. The decor is dated, but neat and clean. They apparently get a lot of business from construction crews, and the parking lot can be tight and crowded with their large work trucks. The hotel also backs up to a railroad track, but traffic on the line is sporadic. Breakfast fare is less than is found at most Best Western locations.

Stayed here one night during our return home in June 2021 from a trip south. Very conveniently located next to I-81 and about 3 miles from downtown Staunton. Parking was easy and check-in smooth. All the staff was masked as we like it since we were also. The side door (next to a very nice indoor pool), which was locked and accessible with the room keycard, was convenient for our parking and to access the elevator. Our room was reasonably spacious, clean and the beds were comfortable. The a/c worked and the wifi was good. The bathroom had plenty of counter space and was also clean. Breakfast was advertised as being minimal because of the the Covid pandemic and it actually turned out to be more than we expected. There was a very helpful lady, masked, who smoothed the process and who also had egg sandwiches available for the asking. Honestly, we didn't expect much and our stay turned out to be very good. We plan to make this trip again in October and will definitely stay here again. A tip: drive the 3 miles to downtown Staunton and eat someplace on West Beverley St, especially if it's still closed to vehicular traffic.

We were on the road from Florida heading north and were looking for a place to stay for one night with our dog, This place worked well for us -- right off the road, comfortable beds, good shower, and very reasonably priced with NO pet fee (first time ever we haven't been charged an extra fee). We'd read the reviews that mentioned asking for a room on the frontside of the hotel (opposite the train tracks). We heard a train come through only once, before bedtime, and if we hadn't been forewarned I'm not sure we even would've noticed it. This place may not be for everyone. It's old-ish and not particularly luxurious, but it was spit-polish clean and the room was very nice. Breakfast was limited by Covid, but OK. We'd stay again without any second thought.

Traveling south from New Jersey best western is off of route 81. Very convenient location. Front desk person was welcoming and helpful. Room clean and bed comfortable. Highly recommend. Limited breakfast because of COVID.

Clean room, allowed my pup, good people. Only problems were LOUD A/C with abnormal sounds, packaged limited breakfast offerings.. I get the plague limitations, but not a fan of choices. Would definitely stay again !

The hotel is nice and clean. Breakfast was good with all the Covid restrictions. The best part was FREE Tesla charging. They have 4 spots in parking lot where you can Charge your Tesla for free as long as you are a guest. I would recommend this place if you a Tesla or not.

You will have to look long and hard to find a better place to stay. Especially appreciated was the efficient and very accommodating woman at the front desk. There are two excellent restaurants, one owned locally and the other a Cracker Barrel within walking distance. Everyone who works here were so kind and welcoming.

I have been staying at the Best Western Staunton Inn twice a year for the past five or six years. It's always clean and comfortable, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Free coffee and tea are always available in the lobby, and there's something for everyone in the free breakfast offerings. Even during the pandemic, the hotel provides a modified breakfast that still offers a wide variety of items (not a bottle of water and an apple like I was given at a different hotel). It is well-located near restaurants and gas stations, just minutes off the highway.

We were 1 adult, 1 kid, 1 dog. Staff was helpful and very nice for the most part. Hotel is very clean, does observe COVID measures. There is a great pet area with good size green area and back exit/entrance, which makes it convenient. At night there is good lighting there in the pet area, however it is just next to rail track and it felt somehow unsafe. Maybe adding a fence would make that area fell safer. Breakfast can improve but overall it was a very god experience.

Nice clean room, comfortable bed and very affordable for someone who travels a lot. Check in and out was a breeze. The motel was very easy to get too right off the highway. Several very nice dining choice very close by.

Clean, nice hotel. Could have been a better breakfast (even with Covid). The shower water was only luke warm. Had big problem with check in using Best Western gift cards. They charged me twice, once with the gift card and also on my Best Western credit card!

It was a nice quiet property with a good breakfast spot right next door. The front staff was friendly and very Covid focused. Everything was very clean. The room was a little dated but well maintained clean. the mini fridge actually worked well and kept our beverages nice and cold.

Best Western Staunton is a pet friendly hotel. When we arrived the desk clerk gave us a package of treats for our 18 year old cat Shadow. The room was pet friendly, there was no place she could hide that we couldn't find her. Because we arrived so late (5 AM) we were offered the option of checking out at 12 Noon instead of 11:00 AM and the one hour made a big difference. We were very impressed by the hotel and staff.

It is hard to find a nice hotel when traveling with a pet unless you are willing to pay a large pet fee. Fortunately there is the Best Western in Staunton. Bailey, our Basset Hound loved it as our room was on the ground floor with a nearby exit to a nice lawn area that included a pet waste station. We loved it because we didn't have to spend a lot of money for a quick overnight stay. You can usually tell how well a hotel is maintained by their carpet. Even though this is an older hotel the carpet looked new. The breakfast was forgettable but that's the price we all pay when staying at a hotel during Covid-19. The check in clerk was trying hard, but appeared to be working to her maximum ability. Everything in the bathroom worked and was clean but could use an update. Since this is a half way point on our trips north, we'll certainly return again.

My spouse and I needed to travel over the holidays to see a parent in hospice. We were relieved to see the precautions the staff took at the hotel for cleanliness and safety. I noted the staff wiping down the waiting room area with antibacterial sanitizer and the towels in the bathroom were wrapped up in plastic. Very quiet and clean stay. Courteous, helpful staff.

I choose this Best Western as they allow dogs. I have a tiny dog. I checked-in in the evening and was semi greeted by a not-so-friendly front desk lady (different name and can't remember her name). Once I got to my room I ordered food delivery. When it was delivered the delivery man didn't bring a fork. I needed a fork to eat. Now at the front desk was the same clerk and a new employee getting trained. I asked him if I could possibly get a fork? He pointed where he knew a stack of spoons were by the coffee/tea counter. If all there is was a spoon, I'm desperate and I'll use it. I took the spoon and the not friendly clerk in a loud voice says to me “Stop Stop Stop”!!! How embarrassing this was not only for me but the new man in training. If I weren't such a nice human I truly think I could have given her a mouth full. She rudely said she could get me a fork. I think she needs a course in courtesy. I left early the next morning and the front desk clerk named Susan was delightful and cheerful. Anyway, this Best Western is a decent hotel and in a perfect location despite my dealings with that clerk.

My wife and I stayed here for a business trip to the area. It was a very nice hotel. Clean, reasonable rates, decent limited continental breakfast due to covid. Will definitely stay here again. Pet friendly as well.

We've stopped at this Best Western numerous times when we've been traveling back and forth between CT and SC. The location is great, easy on and off the interstate. The hotel is clean and attractive (renovated a couple of years ago) with comfortable, clean rooms. Hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Price is good. There are a couple of decent restaurants conveniently located nearby. We'd certainly recommend it.

Staff observed strict anti-virus protocols, had good breakfast food, electric car charging stations. Comfort Inn did not have all staff wearing masks a d seemed to not take my complaint seriously. Won't stay in choice properties anymore.

This property is located in a very accessible area, close to fuel and restaurants. The facilities are clean and bright. The room clean and quiet .Staff was efficient and very helpful, a very good place to stay on an overnight trip.

My family have been coming to this hotel for over 20 years. It used to be twice a year visits, but now it's once a year. Amazing staff, super clean rooms. Could not have had a better stay. Did miss the free duck in the bathroom. Hey manager what happened to the ducks. We have a huge collection. Even without the ducks I'll still come back.

Stayed here for one night, just the right distance from I-81 (.5 mile), nearby Chick Fil-A, and this hotel is pet friendly. As of the date of this review, they were not charging a pet fee, which is what La Quinta has started doing.

We stayed at the Staunton Inn in October 2020 on our way to New England to see the fall foliage. The hotel was clean and comfortable. Everyone we encountered were wearing masks. The hotel was quiet. They did serve a simple breakfast consisting of juices, coffee, cereal and yogurt. Would stay again.

We stayed at this Best Western because of price and close to Tesla Supercharger. Very average. We did not stay for breakfast because the description of breakfast did not sound like something worth staying for. The guests did not all wear masks. This was just average. Close to interstate. There is a restaurant next door.

When we checked in I asked if it was new. Was told renovated 30 year old. Could easily pass for new. Nice big room with sitting area. Quite and convenient, near I-81 and two miles from downtown. Our king bed was very comfortable.

We spent the night after a trip up the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we could go to President Woodrow Wilson's Library the next morning. We consistently stay at Best Westerns, and this one was such a nice one! I wanted a King bed, but the website only showed Queens, so I booked one, but when I called the hotel, they allowed me to upgrade to King as I have become a Diamond Member. Thanks, Lilchey for noting that, and Chris for confirming it! This hotel was VERY clean, and twice I came to the lobby and saw Jill wiping down common areas with disinfectants. Kirk at checkin was very pleasant, allowed me to freeze my cooler packs, and the next day Patsy got them out for me with a smile. Our bed was super comfortable, and we had a quiet night's sleep, in the FRONT of the building. There are train tracks behind the building, but we did not hear a train. This location is easily off the 81 exit, just a mile from the 64/81 crossover. I was also pleased that the hotel had a collection container for recyclables by the ice/soda machines, and I appreciated the style of the curtains: they do not break in the middle; they pull over to the end, so sun doesn't peek in, and neither does anyone else. I also noticed that this BW used my preferred toiletries, the Lacoupe Argan Oil Complex soap that smells like Coconut. Wifi was great! Did not use the pool or breakfast. Overall, this hotel was exactly what I wanted. And here is a tip: you can get a fabulous breakfast all day long at Kathy's diner. We loved it so much, we ate there twice!

Unprofessional employee Your employer came in the pool area with my children being very nasty and hateful towards them. We have been at this hotel since Friday, but will be leaving Monday. I need to speak to the general manager Monday morning before I leave and I don't think that's going to happen.

With Covid I am apprehensive about staying anywhere, but this hotel was extremely clean with hand sanitizer at the front desk and in the elevator. The towels are in bags when you arrive. Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is conveniently located and there are some nice scenic things to see nearby. Plenty of restaurants.

I am a BEST WESTERN member for many years and this is one of the best you will find. The staff are amazing, the hotel very clean and in a great location for travelling, with restaurants and gasoline nearby.

During this Covid 19 event, I felt very leery about staying in a hotel. However, after arriving at the hotel and questioning the desk about te cleansing methods, I was reassured that they were cleaning up to recommended practices.

Hotel was clean and staff were very friendly and efficient. They have statute in the hotel that are very nice. Restaurants right next to the hotel very convenient. Bed was very comfortable and plenty of pillows. Overall a good experience.

All good. I reserved our room with points and did not need to prove it to the desk clerk unlike in Bridgeport WV where I had to bend over backwards last time I used points. Limited breakfast items because of the present circumstances. I was happy with the microwave sandwiches they provided. No charge for pets unlike Bridgeport. Very happy overall.

Clean hotel but no electronic doors to get into with all your luggage. Nice shower, comfortable bed, night beverages and coffee cake, warned us of train noise but we did not hear anything, would stay again on first floor where interior corridors are. Night and morning clerks very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was different and I loved it..cheese, fresh berries, etc.

We stayed here on our trip south for overnight. I'm familiar with the area as we have stayed at the KOA here in the past. Was very pleased with our over all experience. Staff were very friendly, check in was smooth. The breakfast was good it's what you would expect from a hotel breakfast. Had enough to fill you up and send you on your way. No bacon or sausage. Coffee and tea always available at front desk. Now this is a pet friendly establishment. 1st and 2nd floors are for patrons with pets. You do have the top 2 floors that are non pets. We stayed on the 1st floor I did not have a pet but it was not an issue for us. The room was clean and I did not see any pet hair at all. Nor did I smell pets. They provide in room fridge microwave, and coffee makers. Also safes if needed. Yes the rooms may be a little dated but to me if its clean that is not much of a issue. Pool was small no hot tub but was warm if you wanted to get some exercise. Train does run behind hotel but was not a bother. You could hear it more at the campground up the street. We had a room in the middle of hotel. There is a couple of restaurants close by. One being a cracker barrel. The one next door closes at 7pm but I heard it was good. Would go back whe passing through

Presentation looked good on arrival but room seemed that it needed some updating and deorderizing. Since pets are allowed, they should do a little better job of cleaning those floors. Breakfast was standard for this chain. A few restaurants near by that was convenient for us.

Was last hotel on way north. Disappointing after some very nice Best Westerns. Room 309 was ok but dated and didn't feel clean. Please clean the hair dryer and scrub the sink countertop. Once in bed we smelled 'poop.' Not sure if odor was coming through heat vents or what. We knew it wasn't us. Hotel has a dog floor but we were told it wasn't 3rd. Breakfast was standard with a few new things. Cubed cheese? Assistant could have been perkier. Day front desk woman was yawning and looked unkempt. Won't stay again since there are better choices

We recently stayed overnight at the Best Western in Staunton, Virginia. The hotel is right off of I-81 and easy to reach. The hotel staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the rooms are big with comfy beds. Looks like it was recently renovated with new beds and carpeting. Breakfast is great. They include breakfast sandwiches which we like. My beagle is welcome there and we try to stay as often as we can.

Room was well set up with good beds. Very clean as I checked the tops of the pictures for dust and found none. Breakfast was adequate except that they could have offered more hot meats. Service was great - Susan at the front desk was exceptional and was the model of what all hospitality establishments should have. Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant next door was recommended and was very good with great pie. Will try to stop here for future trips.

One night stay on a trip from Delaware to Oklahoma. I usually stay at a Best Western if possible with the family as they typically have a nice breakfast set-up, as well as very competitive rates. Hotel was exceptionally clean, and well maintained. We were greeted by friendly professional staff. We will definitely stay there again in the near future.

They offered a watery orange drink instead of juice. Breakfast could be improved.

My family and I wanted a place to stay because my son loves the pool. The pool was fantastic, the staff were so friendly from when we first walked through that door! The bed was so comfy I didn't want to get out of it! Words just can't describe how great this hotel was. We will defintitley come here again. We chose Best Western in Staunton, Va as it was convenient to where we live. Check in no issues. When I made our reservations through BW we were given a certain rate. Also, we explained to them that we might have to extend our stay a day or two. Checkout was not as easy as we were charged a different price for each extra night stayed. Didn't have time to figure out that but will be calling customer service soon as I don't have time right now as we have a ton of cleanup at our house. All staff was friendly and if we needed anything they were there to supply our needs. We were very happy with the room! Clean and nice. Breakfast served our needs and we didn't have to go out to eat breakfast. We would recommend staying at this BW. My husband used the pool once and he was happy with that. We have a Yorkie dog and the pet walk in back was perfect. We'll stay again if the need arises.

I was tired, hungry and hurting from a 9 hour drive. I was treated with kindness and understanding. I will be staying at this motel again as I travel the route twice a month. Conveniently located and easy to find food.

I would have been more willing to give a better review of this establishment, if it weren't for being called a liar from the lady at the desk the morning of our checkout. Apparently they only have 1 or 2 luggage carts here. I was asked if we kept the one we were using in our room, my response was no, we found it in the hallway. The lady said no, you had this in your room all night, I politely told her we found it in the hallway again, she responded with, I know better because our staff searched for it, and we had customers very upset. I told her well I'm very sorry for that, but we found it in the hallway. I asked the other girl that was at the front desk if I was finished she said yes ma'am, all while the other lady was still going on about me lying and she knew better.

Arrived to a nice looking facility and friendly faces, even though the computer system was temporarily down - business goes on. The B/W has a railroad behind it and since I grew up around trains, enjoyed the late night rumble. It sounded like a muted thunderstorm that just kept rumbling! The place was CLEAN and the bed very comfortable. The elevator was out of service, so hoping for a quick repair for the cleaning crew. Great restaurant next store and easy highway access.

I was unable to make it to my desired destination that day, so I called to make a reservation. I think I got the last room that night. When I arrived, the team at the front desk remembered talking with me and had things ready for me. One of the team members even came to my room to assist me in adjusting the temperature. Very friendly folks! I also had the opportunity to take a swim that was relaxing after a long day of driving. Everything was clean and in order. Such a beautiful setting! Breakfast provided many options and the pool was open, so I took the opportunity for some exercise before another day of driving.

Nice property close to I-81, but far enough way you won't hear any traffic noise. There is a RR track right behind the hotel - why would you build a hotel on an active track? However, we stayed on the opposite side on the 4th floor and didn't hear any trains. Clean room, very friendly staff, nice lobby, nice pool, and good breakfast. Will stay here again.

This hotel is clean and well appointed in all aspects. and the staff is the best. I had a problem with my computer and a young woman at the desk, with a smile, repaired it for me. That meant a lot! The beds were comfortable, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast had everything you could want.

The shower was great and the bed was comfortable. For the price, it's a satisfactory facility to spend one night while on the road. However, train tracks were a few yards outside our room and there were trains - long ones - passing several times during the night. I would not stay there again unless it was a room on the opposite side of the building.

The staff is friendly, and the outside of the hotel looks good. My mattress was the classic case of overdue for replacement. Sagged a lot on the TV side, but all over as well. Didn't sleep well. It rained all night and water drops on the window from a leaky gutter were loud enough to keep me awake for a while. The bathroom wasn't quite clean enough for me to be comfortable, especially the tub. It was almost there as a decent stay, and no complaints about the staff at all. It could be fixed.

Very clean, updated hotel near the intersection of rts 64 and 81. Room was great. The breakfast had awesome fresh fruit and cheese as well as waffles and microwavable items. Would have liked bacon and eggs.

Friendly staff, good shower, fairly dark room, but noisy all night because of proximity to a rail line and the Interstate ramp. Breakfast had Jimmie Dean sandwiches and cheese omelets that you had to heat in the microwave, of which there were two. Bold coffee was okay. The hotel is located not far from the south entrance of the famous Skyline Drive and, naturally as they connect, the north entrance of the Blue Ridge Parkway.

The facility was extremely clean and nice looking since the remodel. Thank you for being a per friendly facility. Our dog enjoyed his stay as much as we did. Appreciated the reservation on the first floor and away from the train track. Did not hear the train at all. Enjoyed staying next to Ms. Rowes restaurant (great food).

With a coupon, I paid $95 for this room. The hotel was clean, the beds were comfortable and service was good. They offer an elevator. And if you use a coupon will put you on the 3 floor, train tracks side, in a room that does not have a microwave. Offer a continental breakfast which they call a “hot” breakfast. A few restaurants are nearby. Train goes by at 3am, woke me from a sound sleep.

This facility was a great option for this location. We found the room and surroundings to be well maintained and both of us enjoyed the breakfast options and felt they were all quite reasonable. Staff were friendly and engaging and helpful with dining and other suggestions.

We have stayed at this hotel before and it was good so we returned. As we checked in, the front desk manager asked if we minded being by the railroad tracks. And I asked how often the train went by. He stated he really did not know, but it did not go by often and probably not daily. Silly me said that I did not mind! I should have said I would mind because not long after we checked in, a freight train about a mile long went by. It was quite loud because our room was very close to the train tracks. Then, at 5:00 am, I was awakened by something that sounded like an explosion in our room and it actually was another mile long freight train. So, it came by twice. If you elect to stay at this hotel, tell them you do not want a room by the tracks! Otherwise, check in was efficient. The room was attractively decorated and clean. The beds were very comfortable. They had samples of shampoo and conditioner as well as lotion in the bathroom. There was a coffeemaker with supplies. The shower water power was good. My only complaint about the room is the towels. They were like sandpaper! They really need to be replaced. The breakfast area was really good with lots of selections. I found the attendant to be somewhat rude. However, she does a good job at cleaning and keeping the area well supplied. The shining light of our visit was the morning front desk manager, Micah! He was a pleasant surprise in that he is such an up and pleasant person at 6:00 am. All in all, this is a good hotel to stay in overnight and if we should pass through this way again, we will probably return.

Nice motel but needs a little management training. After spending a week at the beach and a very hot ride towards this BW, we stopped to place a call to reserve our rooms. It was 92 when we stopped and called wishing to reserve three rooms with one credit card to just hold them until arrival. After getting the manager on duty, I explained that I wanted to just hold three rooms until arrival, and was told that we each would have to give individual credit cards to hold the rooms. After telling the manager that was not going to work and asking for a supervisor she relucktanly gave us the rooms. Upon arrivng and asking for parking near our rooms, was told that the empty parking lot next to our rooms was blocked off by management. It sat empty all night. Their consideration for our high value motorcycles was unconsiderate to say the least, and should be considered if you look to book here via motorcycle.

Great place to stay, good value, clean and close to major highway routes. Was in the area to "see the sights" along the Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway and this was the perfect spot for being in the middle of it all.

A very clean and well maintained hotel with a caring staff. I found it a breeze to get on and off with an excellent location just off the expressway. The hotel has a clean fresh appearance with a nice lobby and enclosed pool area. The staff was attentive and went out of their way to help me locate a lost set of keys. The manager even took my phone number and followed up with me, all in all a great experience here at the Staunton Best Western Hotel.

Close to highway, friendly service, clean. nice pool. We stay at this hotel every three weeks, so the staff has come to know us, and we them. They call us by name when we enter the door. Recommend highly.

We always stop BW in Staunton, VA. Its 1/2 way to TN for us and love this place. We love the little ducks we get!!! Too cute. We always know we are safe and sound even if you hear the train go by!!! We are always taken care of from staff!!!

On our way to Florida, we stopped for one night at this hotel. Rooms was clean, a bit old. We got 'the only room available' on the side with the train rail. The train passed at 11h30 pm and it was like passing through our room.The good news: my 9 yo son didn't hear anything. :)

We stumbled upon this property after passing up another because of construction. The front desk upgraded us to a suite and it was beautiful, although we didn't use most amenities. Convenient to downtown and restaurants. The Irish Pub around the corner was pretty good. Great service as well.

Traveling south with the kitty in tow to our new digs. Great for pets (no hides holes) several places for dinner very close. Clean, fairly well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent breakfast fare. Close to the highway.

I wasn't expecting to stop anywhere for the night, but just got too tired to drive safely. I've trusted Best Western in the past, so when I saw a sign on the highway, I decided to try the BW in Staunton. I wasn't disappointed. I was lucky enough to get one of the few rooms remaining without a reservation and enjoyed a refreshing sleep in a clean, quiet room. A filling, delicious breakfast (with a variety of foods that would meet meet almost anyone's dietary needs or wants) was available before my early morning departure (which meant I didn't have to make an extra stop along the way).

The hotel is conveniently located off of I 81. It is also next to three restaurants that you can walk to, which is a nice feature after driving in the car all day and you don't feel like driving somewhere else. We ate at the Cracker Barrel which is a short walk from the hotel. The food there was its usual, very tasty. The hotel has an indoor swimming pool which is a nice plus for the families to enjoy. It is apparent that the hotel is undergoing renovations. I noted what appeared to be new carpeting in the hallway. Breakfast was fine. I was impressed that they served fresh blueberries, blackberries, and strawberries, and I stayed at this hotel maybe five years ago. I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this hotel again if I were staying in the area, because it was comfortable, friendly, and the right price.

This is a wonderful hotel. Nicely located right off of 81. Has 3 great restaurants located within walking distance of it. Clean and up to date rooms and amenties. Staff was awesome too. Breakfast is great but if you want more you can walk to the cracker barrell right up the hill.

I have stayed several times at this hotel during trips up to New England. It never disappoints. Nice rooms, excellent breakfast and very friendly staff. Indoor pool and an excellent restaurant right next door!

This is My favorite place to stay when traveling through Virginia. I have stayed at this Best Western location many times. Location is just great near many attractions. Indoor pool is wonderful. A great piece for family trip.

I check reviews before booking. A few complaints. Must have been unreasonable expectations. Staff was excellent, rooms very nice, hotel looks to be just wrapping up a renovation. I would stay here again.

We Love The Best Western it is a Wonderful hotel with Exceptional Staff. The Railroad Tracks and the Welcoming of Pets is just a few of our favorite things about this property. They have done a superior job renovating The Hotel.

Stayed here overnight on trip south. Was able to use coupon from hotel booklet at welcome center. While first floor is closed for renovations, the common areas are attractive and clean. Our double room was comfortable, furniture new, beds very comfortable. While train tracks are right behind the building and trains passed in the evening, none went by during the night. Several people were enjoying the pool. Breakfast was satisfactory. Desk staff was very pleasant and helpful. Three restaurants in walking distance. Pets stay free.

We were looking for a place to stay on our return trip home and found this Best Western convenient to both our time and destination requirements. It is in a beautiful location and next door to a wonderful restaurant. Another restaurant just up the hill. Staff was more than accommodating and helpful. Great again Best Western!

2 girls at the front desk were clueless on check ins. My check in took more than 20 minutes. The woman didn't know how to apply a BW gift card. She had to look it up in a folder. Our 8 rooms were not all ready, even by 4pm. Something should have been offered to us for the inconveniences.

I have to say I was surprised at how high the reviews ratings for this hotel are. Yes, it is clean and the personnel are friendly and the location is okay but it is next to train tracks. We had a room on the first floor (115) and the word that comes to mind to describe it is “tired.” The decor is very dated and everything in it was clean but was also very worn. The armchair upholstery was definitely vintage ‘80's and the armrests had the sheen that only many decades of use provides. I felt uncomfortable about putting my arms on them. The mattresses had to be almost as old, they had no support and hurt me all night long. The bed linens were very worn, had been through too many washes and were worn thin. The pillows were old and lumpy. The bathroom had more of the same worn look: the bathtub, counters and faucets had been vigorously scrubbed so much they the finish was worn off, leaving a dingy and unpleasant look. The carpet was lumpy and there was a hole in it (about 2” square) near the bathroom door. On the positive side, there was a nice indoor pool, also very clean. Breakfast is included with the stay and it was fresh with extensive options. Despite the train tracks, it was a very quiet stay. Despite the pool and the breakfast, I can't help but feel this hotel is overpriced. And after reading other reviews, I wonder if we stayed in the same hotel!

Clean, comfortable, quiet spot for an overnight stop while traveling a long distance with our dog. Building is very 70s but all works well. Easy on/off I-81. Good breakfast and good take-out restaurants a short walk away to pick up dinner. Pets are free.

The manager watched as we struggled to unload our car, but eventually he held the door open and said Hi. The room was large, clean and very comfortable. Although a railway runs behind the hotel we never heard a train until 6.30. An excellent breakfast of fresh fruit, bread, cakes, waffles, and hot food was available, with plastic plates and plastic forks, knives and spoons. Would definitely stay here again. Restaurants are next door and two gas stations are nearby if snacks required.

Very nice find after a long day of travelling. The Staunton Inn Staff was very pleasant, room was comfortable and clean. And a nice little welcome gift awaiting in the bath tub...Cute little Rubber Ducky keepsake, lol Very sweet Will definately return and stay here again

This is the definition of a great highway stop where no surprises come about. An older property that has consistent maintenance and renovations. It is nice when the owner and housekeepers dont live in one of the rooms, haha. We were in town to visit friends and had two rooms, 204 and 206. Both were very clean and nicely upgraded. The beds... excellent choice! The service was professional downstairs. We had a small dog and enjoyed the zero additional charge for bringing him. I was nearly going to shell out $100 at a nearby property for my hypoallergenic, 8 pound dog for one night to sacrifice a clean room. This proves you do not need to do such to keep things in great shape. The kids had a blast in the pool. The breakfast had some unique options as well. Even without our last minute deal found third party, the BAR rates were very reasonable. Keep here in mind when traveling in the area.

Great service, very clean rooms, close to hwy exit. Third time I stayed here and exceeded my expectations. Will definately reserve with the hotel themselves rather that central reservations. Great staff on site.

After a long drive from New Hampshire, we were pleasantly surprised with our overnight stay at the Best Western in Staunton, VA. Staff was courteous and helpful and genuinely happy to serve us. Pet accommodations couldn't be better. We stay here again for sure.

In fairness the whole area is pricey. Rooms were more in line with a Super 8 class motel. Building abuts a railroad track and check in paper has some kind of train waiver box to check. This did not apply to me because I was not in a room by the tracks. Breakfast was average at best, didn't see any eggs or meat offered so not so good if you are watching your carbs. I will just by pass Staunton next time better rates down the road. Lobby and breakfast area were very nice. Very friendly staff.

Nice hotel... rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The ducks were a fun touch. Breakfast was good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The town however is closed up on Sundays. WHen visiting area, be sure to keep this in mind.

We hadn't planned to stop so far north on this trip, but Mother Nature sent snow to change our plans. We changed our plans, cancelled our existing reservation and quickly booked a room at the Best Western in Staunton. Everyone was exceptionally kind and understanding and we had a very nice stay, complete with a delicious hot breakfast! Anyone visiting this area should definitely stay at this hotel!

Rooms were clean, everything updated. We came in late at night and were out right after breakfast but the hotel was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fantastic!! Large variety of items with something for everyone.

When traveling with a dog, we often cross our fingers when we book a room. We will return to this Best Western. The hotel and our room were clean, the breakfast had fresh fruit and multiple options, and the staff was friendly. The restaurant located next door serves home cooked, affordable meals and is very handy when traveling with a pet.

Breakfast selection was fairly good all things considered. The room left a lot to be desired. Stained mattress protectors, dry dog food and crumbs from previous guests, carpets in need of a good vaccuming and a tub stained to the point that we opted not to use it.

Good place to stop,mid-way from Fl. to Canada,breakfast was good, lot of space for parking,close to the service station,and very close to 81. There was not the first time we were sleeping in Staunton.

We stayed here on our way back from Florida. It was at the halfway point and pet friendly which were are main requirements. Everything good. No hot breakfast other than waffles. I felt like eggs so we went down the street. Pretty strict statement you need to sign when you bring a pet. I know it's to protect other guests but $150 for a barking dog worried me. Luckily my pets behaved.

Lousy reception; slow and fussy clerk: no welcome or info about breakfast. Some sound in the hallway (bad door sound insulation). Room old but clean, good bed. At breakfast just sweet products (with the exception of fresh berries and bananas) - total poor performance. The staff seemed to have a tense atmosphere in the morning. Value for money suck.

It was one of the best hotel experiences we have had and likely the friendliest and most helpful staff ever! Staff was very accommodating and supportive- opened the pool early for kids, kept open a little later. Pointed out nice restaurant options and was, overall, very, very friendly and helpful.

We were caught in bad weather, the further north we traveled toward home the worse the conditions got. There were 30+ of us that needed rooms and we were lucky to find them at the Best Western. The lobby is tiny but they were ready for us. The rooms were neat and clean and the beds comfortable. But if I have to be picky. their small, square pillows were way to short and firm. During the night there was a power failure and we were in the pitch dark on the forth floor. Had to bump ourselves down in dark stairwells and Help other less abled seniors. Since power had been off for a number of hours it was cold and no breakfast was available, but snacks were offered as were glow sticks. There is a restaurant right next door that some in our group had dinner at. I'd go Y them again- when the powers back on.

My stay at the Best Western Staunton Inn was a pleasurable one. The hotel is conveniently located right off of I-81. Rates are great. The staff is extra-friendly and the premises are dog-friendly. The room was comfortable and well lit at night. The breakfast is the morning was wholesome and delicious. I would stay here again while traveling in the area.

Amazing helpful staff . Beware if you are using a GPS the address is Rowe road . My GPS picked up Rowe street . I called the hotel and the nicest lady stayed on the phone to guide me to the proper location. The room was comfortable the breakfast was good. There is a family run dinner right next door so no need for driving to get dinner . A good place to stay on a road trip

I have been to this BW many time and suggested it to my cousin as a place to meet while he traveled through Virginia. We both have a pet, and it's perfect with a grass area out back with easy access out the back door.

We drove up to Staunton for the weekend. The price point was great. We have stayed in far more expensive hotels with less quality. The rooms and amenities were clean and up to date. The staff was very friendly and willing help.

We have stayed here seveal times on our trips cross country and have always been warmly welcomed. The rooms are clean and neat, the beds are comfortable and the internet works beautifully. Breakfast is satisfying and the counters are kept clean, an important factor for me.

Clean and decent breakfast. We used a coupon, which was a good deal , but you then stay on the side where the train tracks are. The trains are VERY loud. The front desk should warn folks about the noise. The AC/heating unit in our room was very loud also.

We were driving to Florida and just needed a place for the night that we could stay with our dog, Found this BW through our GPS and decided to give it a try. Lobby are was very clean and new looking. Check in women was friendly and process was quick. The room was very clean and the shower was great! Water pressure was fantastic which is important to us. Breakfast was the usually buy it looked very fresh. Even the cleaning crew in the morning was extra friendly, Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, matter of fact we will stay on our return !

This was a good hotel with very friendly staff. The room was clean and the breakfast was satisfactory (typical hot & cold buffet - waffles, fruit, etc.). The facility was a bit dated, but they are keeping it in good order. Also, there is a very good restaurant featuring home cooking (not a national franchise) adjacent to the motel.

Nicely maintained and well-run older property close to I-81. Hotel was clean and attractive; two ladies waited on me at the front desk. The room was spacious and functional; it seems older hotels in this price range have a bit more space than the newer ones. Anyway, it was hard to find fault with BW. The in-room heater was a bit loud, and the pillows were too hard for my liking. I ended up having a restful night. The breakfast buffet was very simple, but there were enough choices for most customers. I stayed in 3 different hotels on this trip, and Best Western Staunton stood out as the best value.

We stayed for one night while traveling for a family reunion. The room was very clean and the air conditioning was great. The staff was very professional and helpful. We would have no qualms staying here again. The breakfast was nice, and having such a nice selection of fresh fruit was exciting.

Stayed 1 night on 9/29. Comfortable, very clean and a good location for my needs. Several services close by. Breakfast was good, small selection but very good. Seating was tight but we made good. I would recommend and I would stay again.

The Best Western employees were very pleasant. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. I would recommend the BW Staunton, VA location. It was easy on and off from the highway, which is always a plus when traveling.

Great location 5 restaurants close by which is handy. The hotel staff were very nice and professional Breakfast area small and cramped. Room needs updating looked tired fixtures and furniture worn and dated looking. Not what you expect from a 3 star hotel

We have been here a few times in the past and have enjoyed our stay. This time was no different. We had another couple with us and the were happy with the hotel also. Staff is good and friendly. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

Very nice facility, but like many BW east of the Mississippi, ADA accommodations need to upgraded to include rollin-showers vice tubs . . . anyone confined to a powerchair, wheel chair, or wheeled walker, a tub is not really safe or useable

The hotel was clean and inviting with a friendly staff. The continental breakfast was nice, providing a good selection on protein, carbs, and fats. There were sweets for those with a sugary palette. The pool and pool area was clean and well ordered. The pool itself was heated. The decor of the of hotel was nice as well. I particularly like the statues of the children playing musical instruments. Next door is Mrs. Rowe's restaurant, it was awesome, especially the pies.

This place was wonderful! The room was clean, the remote had been cleaned and put in a bag. The breakfast variety was over the top! Beautiful fresh fruit, make your own fresh waffle,pastries,cinnamon bread ,juices, hot chocolate.coffee. the staff was very friendly. We can't say enough about how nice it was. The indoor pool was open reasonable hours. We thought being so close to the highway we would get road noise but not a bit.

It was very nice, not as clean as home but comfortable. Breakfast filled you but could have used more seating. Very friendly staff and quick to help if you need anything. We went as a family and we had rooms next to each other.

Room was small, beds less than average, TV remote didn't work, microwave was a basket case......made more noise than a hammer drill, room was less than average cleanliness, bathroom extremely small, a/c was fair, breakfast room way too small for number of over all guest, insufficient handicap parking. I've stayed in better no name brand!

I never realized best western hotels were pet friendly This was a new hotel chain for us and I was pleasantly surprised. Our dog felt welcomed. It just tolerated. The rooms did not smell like dog rooms which was great!

Room was quite outdated and had two DOUBLE beds instead of Queens. AC wasn't on when we got into the room, and it was humid and dank. Two inch strip of dust and dirt around the edges of the carped where the vacuum didn't reach. Yuck. Employees were kind, and beds were comfortable, but it was NOT worth the $115 we paid!

I was here for the Staunton music festival and enjoyed my stay at BW. The hotel is conveniently located and the amenities and staff were perfect for me. The expanded breakfast area was very pleasant as was the indoor pool.

We stayed at five different BW hotels on our trip and each one did not disappoint. The trip was from NY to Florida and a wide variety of locations were visited, and all maintained a high level of comfort and convenience.

Spent a few nights at this hotel. The staff is friendly and happy to assist in any way needed. Hotel is in close proximity to many attractions Staunton has to offer and close to downtown. The room though was tired and in need of some TLC. The bathroom is worn out and drain super slow. Grouting needs some work and cleaning; along with the room carpet.

A few times a year I am on the road for a combination of business & pleasure both in the United States and abroad. This summer I have stayed already at five properties south of the Mason Dixon and am scheduled to stay in two stays at the same property in France later in August. I have always looked forward to staying at BW particularly after a loog day of traveling, work or play. It has always been clean, friendly and comfortable. One of the great features in the domestic BW's is the wonderful hot/cold breakfast. Leaving is always an easy process and a pleasure, particularly if my next stop is another BW.

Stayed at this location in July during a long road trip. Had booked at the Comfort Inn but the staff at the front desk was so rude we decided to leave. The Staff here was so welcoming and friendly and extremely helpful. The African American young man was exceptional, sorry I could not remember his name, also all the staff was very accommodating. This is very rare in the hotel business. The room was great and yes, we were told about the train, it was not a problem. The breakfast was sufficient and a treat. Thank you for a good night.

Not the most comfortable room, very dated (1990's) uncomfortable mattress. Breakfast was sufficient. I've stayed in many BW's, I'm a Diamond member, this one fell below my expectations. At $100 on a weeknight, I expected somewhat better

Best Best Western Yet! Can't beat fresh fruit for breakfast! The staff go over the top to make your stay enjoyable. We will stay here again and again. Didn't get to swim, but the pool is inside and looked inviting.

I enjoyed every aspect of my stay. I liked that a steakhouse was in walking distance from the motel. I never heard any highway noise or traffic. I heard very little neighbor noise either. The breakfast was pretty good too. First time trying the omelet.

Best Western in Staunton is always the best (great half way stop over if you're travelling north to south or south to north)--always clean and a cheerful & helpful staff. My husband and I have been travelling the past 15 years and always stop here--and Mrs. Rowe's restaurant next door is a plus!

I was asked at check-in if I had been warned that my room was next to the railroad track. I had not been, but I had to initial on the check-in form that I had been warned--at that very moment which was too late to make an alternate decision. It felt like a set-up!!

Stayed at the hotel on a trip to NJ. Parking was inconvenient as the hotel was making improvements to their entrance. The staff was very friendly and it felt like the hotel was well run. The room was your standard hotel room. It was clean. The bed was comfortable and the TV had ample stations. Unfortunately, we were on the train side ... and at 2230 and 0630 the roar came by! It woke me in the morning. The breakfast was typical ... I had the waffles. Other than the train the stay was good.

Traveling from Pa. to NC, this Best Western not only turned out to be our half-way point, but was Dog Friendly. The hotel is very clean and has an area in the back of the hotel for our dog to do his business and they supply bags and a can for disposal. The hotel has a very nice free breakfast area. The staff were all very cordial. We will be using this Staunton,Va. Best Western hotel in the future.

stayed here for one night on are way back north, friendly staff , staff is helpful . easy check in but room was not the best . main area was ok but bath room was not the cleanest hair under sink, hair around areas of the bath tub. breakfast was well ok , better off going next door to the restaurant . .

My wife and I decided to stay here on our way to New York and this was a great stopover. All of the staff members were friendly and helpful. We paid a fair price here. Our room was big and spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the sheets were fresh and clean. The hotel is easily accessible from I-81 at Exit 222. And there are quite a few stores and restaurants in the area. We will definitely stay here again

We stay yearly at BW Staunton and always enjoy our stay. Rooms are spacious,clean and comfortable. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Our two cats stay at no charge(which for me is unprecedented). We have never experienced a problem here over the years. We actually welcome the occasional train passing by (no train during this stay). It's a full breakfast if you don't mind microwaving some options. Frankly,I do but a good breakfast is to be had at Mrs Rowe's family restaurant next door. A gas station next to the restaurant is a plus before you jump back on the interstate. Can be a bit pricey but I,ve always felt it is worth the price.

Stopped at the Best Western Staunton Inn on our return trip from Massachusetts to Florida at the end of vacation. Our main reason for selecting this Hotel was because it is pet friendly. Front Desk Staff were awesome and the Hotel was clean and quiet! A couple of Restaurant options with in walking distance of the hotel was a pleasant surprise. Will definitely consider this hotel on our next trip up Interstate 81.

Located right off I-81, this hotel is very easy to get to. Gas station across the street is very convenient. We made a quick stop at night, awoke, had the complimentary breakfast, stopped for gas, and hit the road. Very easy. No trains travelled by during our short stay so I'm not sure how disruptive that might be.

Very pleased with our first experience at a Best Western. They have comfortable beds, abundant towels and toiletries, and excellent water pressure. The pool is heated, indoor and well maintained. It is near the front desk which is a plus. The BEST FEATURE IS THE STAFF. Consistency in service is not easy to find and they have it here. They have a standard breakfast with fruit, waffles, meat option and continental fair. Coffee, cider, teas, hot chocolate are available in the lobby all day. Microfridge and direct TV in the rooms. I have seen the same over all quality at high dollar chain hotels and I have seen high dollar hotels that pale in comparison.

This was the half way point of a recent trip. We were travelling with our show dog and had a pet room. It was clean although it seemed to be damp (could have been the fact that it had rained for a number of days prior to our visit). Beautiful old town and the hotel was very convenient to the interstate.

I can't even say that "you get what you pay for"...because, the price was way too high for this room. Really, who builds a hotel that close to train tracks? Yes, we agreed to staying in a track side room - not really understanding how close they were to the room...and how often those trains pass through... The hotel seemed well maintained, the room was clean and reasonably well maintained. There was a breakfast offered, but we left too early to have some. We were able to fill up the travel mugs and take some fruit with us...so, that was good. But, we had a safe night in a clean room...that's the most important thing. The lesson here is to ask a few more questions...

To make a long story (night) short, the tub did not drain and the hotel had no means to rectify the situation. Furthermore, the air conditioning was extremely noisy making for a long, sleepless night. When we checked out I mentioned our difficulties and was met with a shrug of the shoulders.

We had a room at the very end of the hallway. WiFi did not work for us. We suspected it was because we were too far from the lobby or wherever the router/modem was. I called the front desk and was told by the attendant that the signal is working fine, he'd put a call in to their provider and our wifi not working did not have anything to do with the distance of our room. It worked fine the following morning while we were in the breakfast area...which was small so try to get there early. Room and bathroom was clean but definitely looked old. No odd smells. Stayed for 1 night in March 2018.

Room had a Bad odor & Not very clean ... bathroom tub was not clean looking at it ! it filled up with water as you took a shower and the night manager was rude on May 21 2018 to me , will never go back !!!

We were traveling with our dog and sometimes it is difficult to find a nice hotel. When I called for a reservation I was pleased that there was no additional charge for my dog. The staff at the front desk were very nice and gave my pet some treats.Our room was very clean and the bed had a white cover which I am sure is changed between guests. I much prefer that to a bedspread which is probably not cleaned as often. The breakfast was good and had fresh blueberries, raspberries and blackberries which isn't common. I will definitely stay again.

A second pleasant stay at this hotel. Everything quite nice. Mrs. Rowe's restaurant next door is a good choice after a long time on the road. There were dogs and children about, but it wasn't any bother to us. Everyone, including fellow travelers, was friendly and polite. Will return.

Spent 2 night her while wine tasting at the many wineries east of Staunton. Hotel was well located and room was nice. Free internet was quick and uninterrupted. Wife used indoor pool and said it was fine. Breakfast a bit basic but overall okay. Would stay here again if in the area.

This property is usual Best Western fare...which in my opinion means it's a step ahead of a lot of hotel chains you find off the interstates. The rooms are nicely appointed with sufficient and easy to reach outlets, refrigerator, and microwave. They're clean. The hotel has got a nice indoor pool area and its breakfast has a nice variety of eats: typical hotel breakfast stuff, but some nice additions like cubed cheeses. There's a restaurant next door that's pretty good too. Staff very friendly and helpful. The one negative to report is that the hotel backs up to railroad tracks, and yes, there is a freight train that can go through during the night. It did while I was there. You will hear it, but it's not obnoxious...nor is it very long in duration.

Room was nice and clean. Staff was courteous. Breakfast was fine. Everything was nice and quiet. It is right beside a very good restaurant, Mrs. Rowe's. It is open for lunch and dinner and is an old establishment.

I've used this hotel several times traveling the I-81 corridor, and find it to be a good value for the price. It is always clean and quiet. As a bonus, they accept pets, although the pet rooms are on the backside nearest the (active) railroad. Considering other hotel options along the interstate, this is a good choice.

My mother and I stayed in this hotel on our trip up the coast. We chose it because it was close to the route, had nearby restaurants and fuel, and accepted pets with no extra fee. We were not expecting too much, but this was a very nice hotel with super friendly staff and a very good restaurant right next door (Mrs. Rowe's) that we were able to walk to. It also had a few shops nearby that looked cute and interesting, though were regrettably closed when we were there on a Sunday afternoon/evening. The hotel sports a surprisingly nice indoor pool, clean, comfortable rooms, and is quiet despite being near the highway. We had a room far down the first floor corridor from ice, elevators or much foot traffic, and it was very quiet. The dog walking area was right outside our room, and around the corner of the building, which was very convenient. The breakfast was very good and staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would absolutely stay here again.

We had a great weekend stay in Staunton, Fri thru Mon. The Best Western was better than I expected it would be. I knew it was an older property so I wasn't going to be surprised if there were problems with the room. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very clean room and a well maintained property! The only downside here was the breakfast area is a little small, but that wasn't even that bothersome.

2 night stay. First morning internet was down all morning. When we returned at 9PM that evening for our second night, we found the room WAS NOT SERVICED/CLEANED AT ALL!!!! No one had even eneterd the room. It was exactly as we left. Never have I had that happen in any hotel.

If you choose this hotel, do not book online! You need to make sure you get a room in front. We were asked when we got here if we knew our room faced train tracks. We did not. We were also told there was no schedule but they run whenever. Well one went by and it sounded like it was going through our room! Made me wish I'd booked the comfort inn that was across the street! I don't know how others gave it a better rating. The room is ok. There is an indoor pool.

Great place to stay. Friendly staff, several options for eating close by. Quiet area and close to interstate for travelling. Great breakfast selection and although they had had issues the day before with the internet, it worked fine during our stay.

all was fine except the ice machine was only on the 1st floor and we had to keep going downstairs for ice. the breakfast was great and I didn't try the pool but at least it was inside and could be used without a crowd.

Arrived from Charlotte, NC about 3PM just before the arrival of a snow storm. Booked through Priceline great price for $51 including breakfast plus tax. Staff were great. Had trouble with the wi-fi and desk staff called the support people and got it going after about an hour on the phone. We had the train siding view. Many freight cars going by. Excellent breakfast. Dug my car out of about 8 inched of snow and headed back to Canada, we export snow. Great staff

A decent choice in the middle ground between $50 a night low budget and $130 a night higher budget hotels. The room was clean and a middling size. The glass elevator is cool. Pros Clean Easy to get to Staff Cool pool at the front. Comfy beds Con Free breakfast was a bit weak

We will stay here every time we come this way. Easy access from Interstate 81 from either direction,comfortable beds, very clean, including bathrooms. Breakfast is included and doesn't feel like continental. And, there's flavored creamers!

The hotel is nice. Our room was clean and a nice size. We appreciated the number of lights and brightness of the bulbs. The breakfast was sufficient and had a nice variety of items. Make sure to ask for the quiet side. The rooms at the back of the building are along a train track and the trains do run.

This hotel is very nice. Our room was clean and although we had a room on the train side, it didn't wake me up once. I sleep great on the comfortable bed and didn't have any issues as far as the shower goes. I didn't eat at the breakfast but I did take a look at it and it had your standard fare. Overall a great stay and a great hotel. I would stay again.

From the moment we walked in the door we felt welcomed and treated with genuine customer care. Tammy was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable about services in the area. The room was pretty standard for BW, the location was totally convenient off the highway, and the wifi service was better than most hotels we have experienced. Makes me glad to be a Best Western Member!

The hotel needs some updates, our door was hard to open and the bathroom needed a new tub. Other than that we didn't have any bug issues, the beds and linens were clean and The room itself was clean as well. The bed was a little too firm for me, but it was good enough for one night and the staff were friendly also.

The BW Staunton provided a superior room at a very competitive price. The location is good, convenient from downtown Staunton (just across the interstate) and the facilities and overall condition of the property is above average. Having a family restaurant next door is a plus, even though our meal there was not as good as we had hoped based on other reviews.

We got stuck in a snow storm Mach 2018 headed south pulled off I 81 with 6 inches on the interstate no problem room at 9 am in the morning with our dog . Great friendly people always a smile on every ones face and how can we help A great thank you to a great staff.

I would have given this hotel a much better rating but we were not informed that the hotel is beside one of the busiest railroad tracks in Virginia. The trains haul coal and if you are on the back side of the hotel it is very noisy. We even had to sign a disclaimer with the hotel clerk that our room was on the back side near the tracks. Not a good way to start a stay at a hotel. On the positive side the clerk was helpful and the rooms were updated and clean. They also furnish a toy duck with your room. If you book this hotel, be sure and ask for a room on the front side away from the tracks.

I had to be in Harrisonburg for a consultation, and decided to spend a couple of extra days in the central valley area. I Invited a friend/neighbor to go with me. Best Western is right next door to a restaurant which is known statewide for its delicious food, and the location is just a short drive from the attractions we wanted to see -- the Frontier Culture Museum and the Woodrow Wilson birthplace and library. The room was exactly what and where we wanted it to be. Prices were reasonable, not shocking, and the breakfast offering, from the cheerful room to the fresh berries and wide variety of goodies -- was pleasant and satisfyng. We found it lovely, clean, fresh and comfortable. Everything we used was in working order -- the TV was not mysterious or confusing, and the beds were welcoming. The staff were friendly, cordial people who made us feel at home -- or better. Although I didn't use it, this time, there's also the cutest pool I've ever seen. The "rubber ducky" reminded me of the little terracotta donkey offered by the San Luca hotel in Tuscany. (where terracotta is probably less expensive than platic.) Nice touch!

Our room was dirty smelt of wet dog. The front desk did try to get rid of smell but spraying part odor eliminator spray which helped for a bit the carpet in the room looked like it had not been vacuumed in awile

We spent three nights at this hotel. Our room was very comfortable and the breakfast was better than most. What really impressed us was the extra care the staff took to respond to our needs/ requests. For example: we requested an extra chair so that we could both sit up to read (my husband) and work on embroidery (me). They found one promptly. One charming touch: we were greeted by a small yellow rubber duck on the edge of the bathtub.

Its always nice when you find a road side "chain hotel" that has stepped outside the box! And this one has!!! Neat and tidy on the outside as well as the inside. Staff is exemplary, friendly, attentive and helpful, good dinner recommendation and offer of discount coupon once we had decided. Dog friendly! Room was quite nice and comfortable. Great breakfast, fresh berries in January!!! We'll plan next years trip to stay here coming and going!

Great person at reception. Bed shook each time my partner moved or sat on the bed. AC worked well. No desk - just a table and could not find a TV guide anywhere in the room. Nifty long cabinet that included the TV but other furnishings were sparse; for the price I expected more. Internet wasn't the best. Breakfast is continental with a few pre-packaged omelet and breakfast sandwiches to microwave. They offered chocolate milk (both nonfat and low fat which is unusual), cereal in boxes and plenty of yogurt choices (no greek style though). I also liked the variety of coffee creamers. Oatmeal was instant in package or in cups and they had the ubiquitous waffle maker. It was enough to get you going though. I may not pick this hotel next time as there are many other choices along this part of I-81. I did like the little rubber ducky at the tub though.

Have stayed in this Best Western many time during the past 14 years and find it to be a true value and very comfortable accommodation. Easy access to Interstate 81 and very well located. Staff is very helpful and personable..

Actually checked reviews on trip advisor and picked this spot. Friendly accommodating check in....clean room. Very Restful night after a long day of cancelled flights and driving. Got some fresh fruit in the morning with oatmeal. Good reasonable rate too.

we have stayed here many times travelling to FL. Always find a great staff, nice room with breakfast and paper in morning. Located right off interstate which makes it easy to find. We usually get take out but there are eating options nearby.

We arrived- cold and tired. It had been a long drive with the snow and ice that had been part of the Grayson east coast storm. Everyone was friend and helpful. The accepted our Service Dog with no questions or problems. Everthing was clean and ready for us.

We needed a pet friendly property and this one was great. Everything was just fine and staff most helpful. We will definitely stay here again whenever we are on this route. Very handy to I-81, an easy on and off.

We stayed here on our way back to New England, because we've stayed before, and also because this is convenient to 81. There's also a great little family restaurant next door (see review), Mrs. Rowe's. This is your typical Best Western, but a bit nicer than most. Friendly staff, clean rooms and shared spaces. Breakfast is free, but small (we headed out early because of that), and the rooms were quiet. There is a nearby train, but it wasn't loud or bothersome. Would definitely stay again.

My family and I stay at this hotel at least once a year when visiting family in Staunton. Very comfortable and everything is always in working order. My daughter's favorite is the pool! It's clean and warm. A bonus are the lovely doggies that are around as it's dog friendly hotel.

This is our favorite place to stay when we travel to western North Carolina from central New Jersey. We travel with our dog and this is a very nice and pet friendly hotel. We also like Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant adjacent to the hotel.

Would not stay here again. Only high point is it was pet friendly. Misplaced my reservation and put me in under someone's else's name. Thus when wanted receipt at check out they could not find me. Check out to 10 minutes. Breakfast items not diverse or fresh. Rooms need upgrading. will stay at a LaQuinta next time.

This is about what you expect from a Best Western right off the interstate. Room is ok. Air conditioner loud. Slight odor. Not real comfortable, but then ok for a night's stay. EXCEPT for the bed. Not comfortable, Pillows like a ball. Decent breakfast with lots of choices. Get what you pay for, I guess.

Although the price was more than I prefer to spend for a night when traveling through this hotel did not disappoint and was worth the extra cost. The room was large, clean, and comfortable- complete with a rubber ducky in the bathroom which you are welcome to take home with you. Breakfast was a notch above the usual chain hotel fare and very satisfying. There were several low carb and/or gluten free selections available. The hotel does have train tracks directly behind it and guests were told this upon check-in. I was on the back side and although there was chatter at breakfast about the train rolling through at 2am I never heard it. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room on the front side away from the train tracks.

My husband and I stayed one night at the Best Western in Staunton VA. The room that we were initially assigned had a strong odor. The previous guest must have smoked in the room, and we always request a non-smoking room. The manager recognized the problem and immediately gave us another room. We were pleased at how quickly the problem was solved .

Outdated and mismatched. Not ideal conditions for working. No desk or desk chair. Did not offer information on WIFI services, including password. Bed was average, but not very comfortable. Appeared to be clean, except tub. Staff was friendly. I did get there late evening, left early morning.

RIght off the highway and the rate was decent, so this was a good pick for us. It's a pretty basic motel with the usual facilities....our second floor room was comfortable and clean..so we have no complaints.

I stay at this Best Western at least twice a year on the way to Hershey, Pa. The folks are super friendly and the breakfast there is great. it is also right next door to Mrs. Rowe's - a great restaurant that I have stopped by for the past 20 years. I highly recommend this Best Western!

Hotel staff was great, the customer service was very nice. Breakfast was till 10 AM which was nice for all those late sleepers.Rubber ducks are a great idea to make the customer feel good and to start a conversation with the staff. Bed was comfortable and all the amenities worked great. Nice to find a great place to sleep after being on the road all day with friendly staff and at a good price. Thanks.

My husband and I have traveled north in the Spring ~ south in the Winter for a number of years.. we've always found the Staff, at the Staunton, Va. BW to be most helpful with making reservations /Checking in and out. Always most interested in your comfort and wanting you to be pleased at the end of your stay..

We drive back and forth from FL to NH, and we stay at the Best Western Staunton. The location is great, they are pet friendly, and the rooms are nice. Mrs Rowe's restaurant is across the parking lot. The staff are friendly, making it a great stop.

Hotel is dated but very clean. Beds are not very comfortable but the rooms are okay. The staff is superb from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. They really make you feel welcome and handle all of your needs. I highly recommend this hotel.

There was one customer being checked in at the front desk when we arrived. The clerk was extremely pleasant, but painfully slow; she may have been a trainee. There was another clerk, but he never offered to check me in. She asked if I wanted Express Checkout and said the bill would be slipped under our door at approximately 4:00AM; I accepted the offer. There was neither electrical outlet nor chair at the desk/table. There was an obnoxious odor in the elevator. We did not get our bill under the door and had to get one the old fashioned way.

The room was average and typical for a standard Best Western hotel but the price was as much as a BW-Plus hotel. If I had the energy to drive another half-hour to Lexington,VA, it would have cost $30 less for the same accommodations and I would have been much happier.

Cozy and peaceful! We will be back! The breakfast had something for everyone to enjoy. The staff was extremely helpful and was able to answer any questions I may have had. The rooms were clean and kept up to date.

Traveling home from Florida we always stay at the BW in Roanoke Virginia. For some reason it was fully booked on a Thursday night. We drove an extra hour to Staunton and I'm glad we did. This BW was great. Clean....most importantly. Their breakfast was far superior to any other BW we've stayed at. Everything was perfect!

We have stayed here before and it was good so we returned. It is modern, clean and has a comfortable bed. Breakfast is Ok, but I am not crazy about this type of breakfast (help yourself) buffet. It is always confusing to me. It is adequate and while you are traveling, it works. But, I would pay extra to go to a restaurant within the hotel and have table service with a menu. However, most places are like this hotel and it is a good deal and hits the spot! The staff are pleasant and welcoming. It is within walking distance to three restaurants. We will probably stay again on our way through because it is a nice hotel.

We were traveling and this was a great stop over for a night. It's close to I-81 and has easy access to get on and off. The room was clean, very comfortable and the price was right. The breakfast was the usual and offered a nice variety. We'll be back when we travel!

Best Western is our choice of hotels when we travel. We have stayed in BW on the east coast from SC to Pennsylvania. Also in Arizona. The service was and is always very good. Their breakfast buffet has a good assortment of juices, cereals, toast, muffins and waffles and fresh fruit. Also eggs and sausage. I don't think you would go hungry with those choices. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The only thing I was not happy with was the bed pillows. The bed pillows were too firm for me.

Excellent customer service...very clean and fresh coffee when we arrived...Room was comfy..older but nice...very easy to find and a nice restaurant next door..The breakfast was ok.. needed a little work..

We try to make it to Staunton on our trek to Florida for the winter. BW offers a calm and restful environment to relax after a day of traffic on the road. And having a Cracker Barrel restaurant just up the hill is an added bonus for us. Home style cooked meal is appreciated.

We stayed one night at the BW Staunton, checking in late and leaving early, so our experience was limited. Check-in was easy and the staff were helpful. The room was clean and spacious enough for our needs. WiFi was good and the breakfast was excellent, with good fresh fruit.

Very comfortable stay at the Staunton Inn in Staunton, VA. This was a pretty good location for our takeoff on a Blue Ridge Parkway tour. (Also good location for entering Shenandoah National Park from the South. Generous sized room, bed was great, room clean and nicely appointed. Very good continental breakfast. Price a little higher than some other Best Westerns.

Love staying here. Always so nice and beautiful scenery. Everyone has always been so nice and helpful and rooms are clean and very comfortable. Great overnight stay. I feel very secure in this hotel and location. Breakfast was very good and good selection.

While the hotel is outdated, it is clean, and the majority of the people we encountered were pleasant and professional. There is a train track that runs across one side of the building so this could be a problem for light sleepers. I think I would have slept through it had I actually bean able to sleep. The beds are so uncomfortable. I only got a few hours sleep and since we stopped there to sleep during a road trip, we won't be back.

BW Staunton lived up to previous reviews - great accommodations, fantastic breakfast and very friendly staff. I would stay here again when I am in the area. The only negative was their recommendation of restaurant next door - food was only okay, served lukewarm by unsmiling waitress.

Good hotel, clean, friendly, well located and with a normal breakfast. The staff is warm and very helpful. There is a swimming poo for kids which is very convenient. Close by the Hotel you will find a good offer of Restaurant for a good lunch or dinner, and the stall the hotel provides discounts.

We were on our way to the mountains and stopped for the night. It was in a convenient location Rt. 250. The clerk who checked us in was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had everything we needed. I the morning when we left the room the associate who was cleaning the room found a pair of my wife's shoes and rushed out to get them to her. The morning breakfast was good. We would stay here again when going through Staunton.

One of the nicest BW properties we stay at when we travel. Except for not having a fitness center this property could easily be a BW Plus. Helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, outstanding breakfast and right next door to one of the best "hometown" restaurants in Virginia ....Mrs. Rowes!

We have 2 cats who are traveling troopers and we appreciated the lack of hidie holes for them to disappear -- two comfortable double beds, big bathroom, big fluffy towels, good breakfast selection. Also a really good restaurant next door.

overall this hotel was nice clean and comfy, however some of the staff was extremely rude, opinionated, and bigoted toward a friend of mine. This racist and judgmental attitude is not something that he or any of us should have to deal with when paying to stay at a hotel or at any other time. I will never stay here again nor recommend this to anyone

Our room was well appointed especially for the money, the staff friendly and helpful There were lots of places to eat very handy, unfortunately we walked next door the Mrs. Rowe's only to have the lights turned out as we got there. We were too tired to get into the car again and drive. This is directly off the highway, easy on and off access, however, we did not experience any noise in our room. Breakfast was a little different but very nice and busy, so was well accepted by many.

Our stay at the hotel was pleasant. We stay there regularly and enjoy the fact that we can bring our beagle without any fuss or added expense. The hotel staff is friendly and efficient and help to resolve any issues the best they can. We enjoy the breakfast buffet. They serve fresh cut up fruit in addition to a wide variety of items offered. Check out is simple. I leave the keys on the desk and they email me my bill. I would recommend this hotel.

Very clean hotel and great people. Our bed was harder than I'm used to but ok. Breakfast and coffee was really nice and they served coffee all day! Excellent dog area and very pet friendly. Dog walking area clean and well lit and even had clean up bags!

This hotel was very nice. It was clean, well kept and the rooms were just right. The staff was very friendly and professional throughout the visit. Also, the price was very good. Nothing was sacrificed to get this low price. I definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

This was my second time staying at BW Staunton and it is a very fine establishment which I highly recomend. Helpful staff and great location. You also have three restaurants to choose from locally on grounds. Great place!!

The hotel was great for a one night stay. The staff was friendly, and they had free breakfast in the morning. Overall, if money was tight (like it was during my stay) I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again.

My husband and I have stayed at this BW Hotel previously because it is the halfway point to our NC destination. The hotel is well kept up, the room is very clean, the staff polite, it is in a quiet area, and the breakfast is plentiful to get us started the next day. We will stay here again. For dinner try Mrs. Rowes right next door, or the Cracker Barrel also on Rowe Rd.

the staff at the front desk were wonderful, full of recommendations for local places to visit and eat in town, you will need a car 'though as the town centre is a couple of miles away, we were told that our room was next to the train tracks which could cause disruption but we only heard 2 trains in our 2 days there (although it takes the train about 4 mins to pass by!), breakfast was the usual buffet style but was very good.

Only issue is the valet cart and awkwardness to maneuver through doors - into parking lot and on to elevator. Motel was wonderfully quiet - large tractor trailers and refrigerator trailers not in same parking lot under room windows, as vehicles and smaller trucks

The hotel was conveniently located right off the interstate. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was great. We needed to change the length of our stay and they were very helpful. (We had booked through a third party and the staff assisted us to make the needed changes. Would recommend booking direct with hotel.) The only problem was a train track about 50 feet from our room's window. A train came through 2-3 times each night and woke us up.

We picked this hotel because my husband likes to eat at the restaurant next door when we stay in the area. The hotel is clean, safe and comfortable. Staff are friendly. We were warned ahead of time about train noise. I brought a white noise machine that we used and night and had no problem with night time train noise.

Our stay was a great experience was as good as it gets. Super restaurants on both sides of the motel within 5 minutes walking distance. Even handicapped people were able to walk to one of them. The employees of the motel are all top notch.

Very nice hotel with an excellent staff. The pool was clean and refreshing after a long drive. The room was comfortable and the A/C was already on with a cool temperature in the room. Breakfast was okay but the hot portion was limited to a pre-packaged omelet and/or sausage sandwich, but there were cold items like cereal and juice. Overall a very nice place.

This hotel is our favorite stop on our trips to the south from Pennsylvania. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. Clean lobby and rooms. The best breakfast at any hotel and it is included in the price.

This was close to the skyline drive, some shopping and the Frontier Cultural Museum. The hotel staff were nice, very helpful, and always greeted us and asked if we needed anything. The pool was clean, nice temps tire and the pool room area was warm. Would recommend staying here!!

Price and employee experience wonderful. Quality of the facility was good, but it showed age. Location withaccess to roadway was excellent. The best part of the location was a family owned restaurant next door with reasonalbe pricing and a service station within the immediate parking area.

Stayed here going and coming on our trip. Nicely appointed room, comfortable bed, free breakfast, friendly staff. Restaurant next door, Mrs. Rowe's, has excellent home style meals. Reasonable rates. Highly recommend.

Due to the evacuation from Florida and Hurricane Irma, we were lucky to reserved the second to last room at the hotel. Everyone was delightful, the room was spotless and comfortable, and the breakfast was the best we have encountered. Fresh berries, lots of quality choices, and a helpful wait staff made our stay enjoyable.

The staff was awesome. The beds and pillows were terrible. We could not sleep. the dresser was dirty and we had to live out of our suitcase. This place needs a refresh and we would not recommend staying here unless they get new beds and pillows. The staff was very nice and professional

This hotel is very easy to reach because it is just of the interstate exit 225 from I-81 There are restaurants like Texas Steak House, Cracker Barrel very near by and also a gas station. The road R.t 250 that goes into Staunton goes right past the hotel and it is a very short ride into the city. The hotel itself is very comfortable, with good parking. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel does provide a great breakfast, with very good coffee but right next to the hotel is a fabulous restaurant called Mrs. Rowe's and the food there is to die for. I have stayed at the hotel four times in the past two years and it has never been a disappointment.

I cannot recall the last time I stayed at a Best Western, so it's diificult to compare apples to apples here. Although the staff was friendly, there is little else I can say that is positive. It's clear this is a hotel catered to families. There is a clear view of the pool (and strong chlorine odor) from the lobby, which creates a challenge when you'd rather not see people in their bathing suits as you head to your room. Our room was basic, but there was a distracting urine-like odor stemming from either the toilet pipes or wall behind the toilet. The AC needed a good cleaning as well. However, most commercial establishments have low, basic standards of clean, so one cannot fault Best Western for meeting minimum code standards. It makes it challenging, however, for those of us who like a clean room and also suffer from mold allergies. I am a light sleeper, so the paper-thin walls meant I did not sleep a wink the two nights we were there. Best Western should not be at fault for children running through the halls at 10 p.m. or adults carrying on obscenely loud conversations when others are attempting to sleep, but it would be nice if the walls were thicker, more insulated, to tone down the human behavior. When you can hear someone in their bathroom from another room, you know the walls are too thin! The continental breakfast was disappointing as there were not healthy options. It's your basic carb fest. The only eggs they offered you had to put in the microwave. They offered fruit, but since half a banana is one serving, that makes it tough for those trying to watch their sugar intake. And if you're lactose intolerant, yogurt is not an option. Again, Best Western cannot be blamed for limited breakfast options as most hotels have not focused on their breakfast menus yet and considered healthy-eating travelers. Serving carbs is still cheaper. But my poor rating is mostly because the room was disappointing and I cannot reccommend this hotel to my friends.

was very pleased with the cleanliness of the facilities. This is the first time that we checked in with our family pet. It was very quiet and pet area was very clean. Other than seeing a family pet from time to time with other lodgers you would never know there was never any barking etc. Thanks for making it possible to travel with our pet much easier and not have to sleep in a rest area. . will definately stay again at best westerns. .

The staff is always pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is always spotless and the rooms are very comfortable. There is always a nice selection of breakfast items to choose from, and hot and cold beverages are always available in the lobby.

Pool was good, staff excellent, love the free newspapers and little duck my wife collects em, Internet was great. Great places for food. Breakfast was good. Close to 81 and 64. Great Value for the money, its the way its supposed to be.

Overall I'm not dissatisfied but this hotel could use some improvements. On a positive note, the staff is excellent! They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They gave my son a special rubber duckie for being well behaved during check in. The check in process was fast and friendly. We arrived right around 10pm, and the staff kept the pool open an hour after it was supposed to close so that my son could go swimming. Check out was also a positive experience with a very friendly front desk person. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and customer focused, and they should be commended for the level of service they provide. The main reason for my 3 star rating is that the facility itself has a poor layout and is severely dated. The decor screams early 90s and there's visible wear and tear on everything. The carpets are dingy, the parking is not plentiful, and the breakfast area is not open which makes you feel claustrophobic when it's crowded with people. To my horror, the in room coffee maker had crud and dust in the water chamber making the unit unusable. The pool was dirty, with visible grime above the water level surrounding the entire pool. You could also see dirt and grime on the floor and walls of the pool. It's a shame that this could be a great hotel since the location is close to dining options, gas and the interstate. The staff was excellent. But best western really needs to invest in this hotel because I would not consider staying here again unless the facilities got a complete overhaul.

We stay at this hotel on our frequent trips from SC to New England. It is convenient to the highway, the rooms are comfortable and reasonably priced and they have a killer continental breakfast. They are also right next door to a very fine family run restaurant.

This Best Western is just off of the interstate. It was clean and the staff were welcoming but the beds were hard and the breakfast was the same old, same old. The fact that this BW is easy to get to and back on the highway is a plus. It is clean and there are a couple of places to eat close by that is a positive also.

The staff was very pleasant at check in and any time that we came or went and very helpful in answering our questions. Both the hotel and our room were nicely decorated and very clean and is located within walking distance of 3 good restaurants and local novelty stores. Would definitely stay here again.

Very clean, nice atmosphere, good location, great breakfast, great value for the price. I've stayed at this hotel before . The only drawback is you must not get a room in the back, since there are railroad tracks there, and the train does run sporadically at night. I got a room in the front. Very clean, updated room. spacious and nicely decorated. great breakfast. Cute atmosphere - highly recommend this place. Friendly staff. And you even get a little rubber ducky as a souvenir.

This Best Western is very nice! Easy on/off I81. The staff is very personable, the hotel is clean, the pool while small is very nice. The breakfast is better than most other hotels with quite a variety of products. The beds are very comfortable.

We were really impressed with all elements of our stay. The breakfast had all fresh fruit and was so clean and neat. Every amenity was available at much less than other hotels where we had just previously stayed. Pat AB

It was a pleasure staying at your establishment while dropping my son off at Mary Baldwin University. Everything was just right. I don't think I could have asked for a better experience. It was a experience for a good price.

I stayed here before a couple of years ago and really liked it. This time it was a bit of a disappointment. The place seemed in need of some sprucing up and cleaning. Front desk folks were friendly and appropriately courteous and helpful. I noticed that whereas last time they were displaying their TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence these were not on display (or I missed them) this time. I'd suggest that if they have them they should display them, and if they aren't receiving them now they need to perhaps look into what they can do to improve.

We chose Staunton VA because it is near the south entrance of Shenandoah National Park. Easy access to Skyline Drive. Friendly staff, premises are very well maintained and clean. Breakfast selections were a step above, lots of fresh fruit. Usual offerings are bananas, apples and oranges.

Travelled for first time visit to Classical Music Festival at Staunton. Location of Best Western was perfect for journey into town as well as to pick up Skyline Drive at National Park and to pick up 81 to head to Natural Bridge and VMI and to head home on 64. Home cooking restaurant Mrs Rowes right next door and Texas Steakhouse nearby as well as Waffle House.

Glad I am here for just one night and I'll remember to pay a little more and stay elsewhere next time I am passing through. The bedside table had not been cleaned and was covered with some sticky substance -- probably spilled soda. I found a red ant or spidery thing in bed with me and my room was on the 4th floor so I doubt it was because of moisture. And they are way behind in terms of outlets for charging devices. And the internet was slow if it even worked at all. The room was spacious but shabby - sort of depressing. The wallpaper had tears in it. On the plus side, the front desk person was lovely and welcoming, and the bed was comfortable.

The staff at this hotel was hospitable and friendly. However, the room smelled musty and/or moldy and the Internet service did not work in my room. When I asked the front desk about it, the first staff member had no idea how to fix it. Another told me to call a number. That person got it to work for about 5 minutes. After that, I gave up. I stay in that area frequently and so I am aware of better hotels at cheaper prices that have Internet service that works!

it's a budget hotel. the staff were very friendly and helpful. i enjoyed the selections for breakfast. who knew that microwave cheese omelettes exist and are tasty? fresh fruit, make your own waffles, yogurt, hot and cold cereal as well as bagels,breads, and sweet rolls. much better than what i expected. oh, and low-fat chocolate milk. my complaints: no ventilation fan in bathroom, very limited natural lighting, room lighting poor for reading, only 1 chair (aside from an uncomfortable desk chair) , tiny desk (really a small table), a/c unit loud and only 2 fan speeds. if you are only getting a room for a place to sleep, it's fine but if you're stuck in the room, not so much.

Wonderfully clean and friendly. Great area for our dog to get walks. Outgoing staff and nice breakfast set up. Pleasantly surprised at the quality of hotel in every regard since we had never stayed at a pet friendly hotel before and expected a lesser facility.

I enjoy my stay here each and every time I come through Virginia, which is fairly regular and find I get great service at an affordable price. Great room and fantastic staff, makes the stay a pleasure. Their indoor heated pool is great to relax in and stretch muscles from a long day. Would recommend staying here and will be back in the near future.

Smaller hotel with good faciities and pleasant staff. No real negatives noted and the rates are very good. Would prefer queen to the double beds but on the whole- very reasonable. The beds are only double beds in size and the mattresses-which I liked were on the soft side- but that is what I prefer.

Just because you are not white or blue eyes they already assume you speak Spanish ??most young people even with Spanish parents don't speak Spanish don't assume .. really bad experience ..my church rented 12-14 rooms for a camp but never again

We stayed here for one night as we passed through the area. Check-in was very slow as there were several folks checking in at the same time (understandable) but the clerk took additional time to sign several guests up for their Rewards Program while the rest of us waited. Our room was very cold on arrival and took quite some time to warm up to a comfortable temperature. The room was clean and comfortable. Train tracks were just outside our window but only one train went by during our stay so the tracks did not present a problem. The breakfast area was very crowded so we took our food back to our room. Multiple maid carts were blocking the hallways when we were ready to check out with our luggage. Overall it was satisfactory but not sure if we would stay here again.

We just got tired of driving and pulled in for the night! This ended up being a great, clean place to stay! The staff was friendly and helpful! The breakfast workers did a great job in spite of being SLAMMED with guests!! I would recommend!!

Clean, friendly, helpful with doggie bag equipped pet walking area. Beds were full, not queen but room, hallways seemed clean. We actually remarked on that when going to our room. No obvious exercise room but did have a pool. Restaurants within walking didtance.

Comfortable, clean, welcoming, Clean clean clean. Staff was very very nice. Breakfast was good, with plenty of choices. Housekeeping staff, was very helpful and accommodating. Front desk staff was very friendly.

By chance on our way from Shenandoah National Park we stayed in Staunton, VA Best Western and were very pleasantly surprised with the service at this hotel and local attractions. There are train tracks behind the hotel, but we didn't have any problems, nor heard the train - so no worries there

EZ on and off route 81. Clean and comfortable with a superior staff. Friendly and professional. Adjacent to 2 restaurants. Wonderful breakfast with a full variety of items including fresh fruits. Cozy and charming.

We stopped here on the way home from Tennessee. The room rate was quite reasonable. The lobby is inviting. Welcoming and very clean. It has been recently renovated and adorable statues give it a home touch . The sofa seemed comfortable. The continental breakfast had an assortment of fresh fruit, muffins, yogurt and new waffle makers. Our room large and pleasant. The mattresses could have been newer but not horrible.

Stopped here with no reservation on the last night of an 8 day motorcycle trip. Lucky for us, they had 2 rooms left & honored the discount coupon we had p/u at a rest area on I-81. The check in staff could not have been nicer! Lobby & pool beautiful. Comfy beds & spotless, updated room. Free breakfast was the best...waffle maker & fresh berries! Will stop here again next time we are traveling that way.

Driving from South Carolina to Central New York, this hotel is at the halfway point. It is pet friendly yet you don't detect others having had pets before you. Carpet and tub could use a better cleaning though. This is the second time we have stayed here and might do it again next year.
