I really enjoyed by stay at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised when I checked-in to find that I was upgraded to a presidential suite! All of the rooms are updated and modern and clean. I was visiting the hotel for a semi-formal ball that my fraternity was hosting. The staff is friendly and very attentive in the hotel as well as with the in-house catering service. The dinner and drinks for the ball were amazing and the breakfast was top-notch. I felt like they put on their best for us. I also had the opportunity to engage with management (I did not encounter a problem) at the hotel and they made me feel like they appreciated me being there. Special thanks to Christia, Liz and Sahil! I look forward to staying again.

Very neat rooms with quick response for any questions. Got a chance to stay now couple of times, every time for around a week. Fitness, Sauna, Breakfast Dinning services etc. Very Friendly Staff & manager you is present around to serve you when needed. Also with support for office/business events and meetings. Easy/Flexible check in & Check out, They received couple of Post on my behalf Not to forget the view from the hotel at the nights. amazing to see the sunrise & Sunset All @ decent prices.

Newly renovated Hotel that exceeded my expectations! I came in for one night to interview at a local hospital and explained to them that I didn't have a place to store my luggage. They were very accommodating and let me do a late check out. The breakfast food was great and felt upscale! Ordered food from the restaurant connected to the hotel and was very pleased with the food. Sahil Chaturvedi was the manager that I dealt with personally and was extremely nice and a pleasure to work with. I will definitely be booking with them if I come back to the area!

This hotel, located in a suburban area only a 20 minute drive from downtown, offers very comfortable rooms with wide panoramic windows, a refrigerator on request, and a full-some breakfast with sufficient hot and cold items to satisfy most guests. All staff members with whom we interacted—front desk on check-in and -out, breakfast room, and the hotel manager—were friendly and eager to help with any requests.

Recently our family in Alabama, Michigan and Tennessee decided on an impromptu visit to spend a weekend together. The hotel and price were both excellent. Staff very accommodating and the dining area was not only kept well stocked and clean but the ladies there went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. We had a great time. Will be returning!

Got chance to Stay in BW Premier around 2 weeks during my last Visit. Very Friendly and helpful staff .Check in/check out was really fast .Rooms are clean and big.Cleaned daily.Very yummy breakfast.They got "nomad grill" restaurant on ground floor which has really nice options for food specially "Happy hour" option. Lot of Indian restaurants located with in 4-5 miles.Starbucks is just in front of Hotel .Good parking space available. Nearby to most of Office center in Southfield .Free shuttle service provided with in few miles of hotel so no need to worry about Taxi/cab .Sun set view from top floor was really awesome :)

"Comfortable, clean, good value"

Stayed at the BWP Southfield last month while on a work trip. From the very first friendly greeting at the reception, the overall stay was pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff were attentive and the breakfast was great, although it lacked variation. It's a slightly older property I think, but well maintained so it doesn't detract from the overall good experience.

Staff are respectful and courteous, they go above and beyond to assist your accommodations. My fiancé and I were looking for a nice comfortable night away from home. We had a baby girl with us. They gave us a pack & play for her to rest well too!! Simply wonderful. I recommend this specific hotel to business partners and couples that have a child joining them during their stay. I highly recommend the choice hotel family because they treat you like family. Price was great and affordable so much so we stayed one night I asked if we could extend our stay. Our stay was 2 nights and we enjoyed our stay to the fullest. The free breakfast were great selections and buffet style so you could go back for seconds with ease. I can go on and on. "Nasty"

Once arrival front desk was very friendly once entering into the room.It had a very strange odor inside the room, on top of that, hair was on the bathroom floor and and in the shower. The pillow and the bed was very uncomfortable, and my fiancé and I really didn't sleep that well. The breakfast was fair,that was the only thing that was acceptable and the appearance in th lobby was nice. Overall we won't be back here again!

I recently stayed in the Best Western Premier Detroit Southfield for two nights based primarily on location and going with a well-known chain. Check-in and check-out were efficient and the staff was friendly. The hotel may be newly renovated, but it's already showing a bit around the edges - nothing major and nothing really offensive, but noticeable. The room was as advertised and with a very comfortable king size bed. The thermostat also regulated the room temperature quickly and efficiently. There were some minor problems with the room that were the result of inattention to preparation, but a call to the front desk quickly remedied the situation and the staff was pleasant in responding. The portion of the stay that was really outstanding was the great breakfast buffet. Hot egg dishes, properly cooked bacon and sausage, hot and cold cereals, breads, juices, fruit, waffles, etc. were all available, and all prepared and replenished. I can't think how anyone could ask for more. It was a great way to start the day.

This property is perfectly located, within a short drive from downtown, airport, and other places of interest. I stayed here for four nights and it was agarrar stay, the stuff were all very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was very tasty and had options for all tastes. The fitness center is quite spacious and has more than enough equipment for a workout in the go. Overall it was a great stay and will definitely be coming back in my future trips to Detroit.

The rooms are very clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was friendly. The only reason that I did not give this an excellent rating is that when I stayed there they did not have enough staff to set out the breakfast, even though I arrived later for breakfast.

Stayed here for 2 weeks, great staff and clean hotel all around. Our room was on the 8th floor and had a good view. Our room did not have a fridge but not sure if that is the case with all the rooms. Breakfast was included and Starbucks is right across the street. Great gym, will be returning in 2 weeks for another stay.

I stayed here with my family for a family reunion we had this month and the service was amazing. Brandi at the front desk was extremely helpful and I would recommend that people come here to stay. Really enjoyed it.

The location had just been renovated a little over a year ago. It had been another establishment and then vacant for years. Now being a new establishment and listed as “premier” is nothing but deceptive. I had to be transferred three times to a different room. The first room that registered in the system as being available looked to be very much occupied and lived in. They switched me to another room where the sink in the vanity area was leaking running water from the pipe as if it were coming from the faucet. Going to room number 3 I over heard another guest speaking with the police about an altercation she got in with another guest that resulted in the tires of her rental being slashed. I then get to my third room change for the evening and the sheets were not clean, the floor appeared to not have been vaccumed. I wound up leaving. They offered to cop me a room but at this point I was over it and made other accommodations.

My husband and I were very pleased with our stay. The breakfast was superb - fluffy scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, delicious coffee. The room was clean, quiet, luxurious. And, the bath had great lighting with plenty of towel racks! We wont stay anywhere else.

Our stay here was awesome! Check in (Brandi)was great, very friendly and personable. She listens well,even if she seems busy, because she heard me say I wanted a room on a high floor, so she changed our room from the 4th floor, to the 15th. The beds were very comfortable, the room was cozy and clean. My only complaints are, the breakfast. There was about 45 mins left of breakfast when we arrived. Most of the breakfast foods had run out and there were no eating utensils available. Also, the pool closes too early. 8pm doesn't allow for any guest to use the pool unless they plan to stay at the hotel all day. Other than that, it was a great trip and we most definitely intend to return, and we would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family!

Excellent hotel; the front desk staff was very helpful and check-in went quickly. Breakfast was amazing with the normal breakfast foods (waffles, cereal, etc.) but they also had eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, potatoes, and many more options.

There are a lot of hotels within that square mile or so, and this is one of the better ones. Convenient location, clean facility, comfortable bed, friendly staff. The room was quite small, but I don't really mind that. My only complaint is the bathroom. Poor water pressure in shower, inconvenient layout with only sink outside of room with toilet and shower. The sing itself was poorly designed--chic modern above-counter design that looked nice but was not practical and was hard to use. Overall everything was fine and we'd stay there again.

"It's always something"

This was our go-to hotel for visiting family in the area. The location works well for us; we like the convenience of the attached restaurant; breakfast has improved; and even though there seems to be high turnover of desk personnel, most of them have tried to do a good job. But we are staying here less and less because something always seems to go wrong. On our most recent visit, I had requested a refrigerator when making a reservation (it is unusual for rooms even at a much lower price point to lack a small refrigerator, but rooms here do not have one) and followed up on the request at check in. I was told that the housekeeping staff would distribute any refrigerators later in the day. When we got back that night, there was no refrigerator and no explanation. Also when we got back at night, the noise level in our room was all but unbearable. The screams and shrieks of children in the adjacent room made it seem that they were in the room with us. It was nearly impossible to read or talk, much less sleep. Then the adults in the room launched into an even louder and profane domestic disturbance which, again, seemed as if they were in the room with us. After waiting for a while for them to wind down, we had to call the front desk, who worked some sort of magic and reduced the noise to the occasional hurled comment or crying baby. So we jumped on the chance to get in bed and go to sleep - but the room darkening curtains were jammed and would not close. Electing against getting dressed and calling for maintenance, we had lights shining in our faces all night. Our bed was short-sheeted even more than usual, so the covers ended at about waist level. All in all, not the night one hopes for. On the plus side, breakfast was great. But these experiences make us question whether to return.

The hotel has been recently renovated. The check in process was slow. Must have new staff training because one person was helping the other two desk clerks with issues. I had requested a room away from the elevator on the highest floor. The first room assigned was 12th floor across from elevator so I was switched to the 14th floor and when we got there found that the room was 2 away from the elevator. But, the elevator door didn't open and close all night so that turned out ok. The room itself was functional. King bed was comfy. There was a mini fridge and coffee maker. Plenty of outlets. Noise from highway was somewhat muffled but it helped leaving the fan turned on the air conditioner all night. Control of air was on the wall and the unit. Bathroom was super small but functional. The sink was outside the bathroom. I like that they had a bar for the hand towel under the sink - don't like to lay the towel on the counter. They also have a mirror on an arm attached to the wall so you can use it for make up. Breakfast was very good and hot. Nice variety of foods. You have to turn in your voucher or give a room number to enter the buffet. I had to ask for more coffee since they were out (at 7 am!). Check-out was time consuming. I had a $20 voucher from the Ramada summer program and the clerk had a hard time figuring out how to enter it. We'll see if it is correct once my Visa bill comes. Would stay here again if they get their staff trained at the front desk. The people were friendly and apologetic.

I was traveling for business and my original hotel reservation fell through. I had to scramble to find a hotel, and the Best Western was an answer to my prayers! Great property, clean and tidy room; and a bar where I could squeeze in a nightcap! The breakfast included in my stay was probably the best I've had, and I've traveled all over! Months later I realized I lost my receipt for the stay, called up and spoke with Lynette who e-mailed it to me in less than an hour. What a treat to receive consistent, excellent service. Thanks so much!

Great stay, easy twenty minute drive to Comerica park and Ford field. Easy access to most direction of highways. Food and retail shops only a short drive away. Not alot of parking but was ok. Breakfast was fantastic and all the workers were friendly and helpful.

We had a surprisingly wonderful stay at a different best western plus, so that we would give this Premier a try. Absolutely beautiful property that was completely rebuilt three years ago in an existing building in Detroit. Except for some slight Street noise, it was a wonderful experience. Spotless and modern rooms, big bathroom, multiple plugs, and a great bed contributed to a great experience. Fantastic hot breakfast and a nice dining room as well.

The inside of this hotel is very nice. The room was clean and ready when we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was really good also—they had a nice mix of white, sweet, and purple potatoes, eggs, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, and breakfast meats (but the meats were all pork, so I didn't eat those). They even had gluten free toast if you ask for it! Dinner in the adjoining restaurant is quite pricey but the service and the food is great. All in all, if I had to stay in Southfield again I would come back here.

For the price you pay there should not be bugs in the room. Also, I realize the breakfast is complementary but when they say it is going to be ready at 6 am, have it ready. Some people have a schedule to keep.

Having stayed at Best Western Premiers in the past, I had certain expectations for the BWP Southfield Hotel. I am pleased to say that they have exceeded all of them. Nicely furnished rooms, convenient location, in addition to helpful and courteous staff. The attached Nomad Grill also provided exceptional survive during Lunch.

My stay at Best western was fine until Saturday night we got stucked on the elevator. I was on the 7th floor coming down to the lobby, the elevator stopped abruptly at floor 2. It opened up we was stuck on how to get down to floor 1. We found a flight of stairs but once we walk down we was hit with a bunch of debris and things from construction. Then appears a lady that worked there she immediately asked us why was we on the this floor and we told her we was stuck. She instantly thought me and the gentleman I was with was arguing, which I don't know if that was a stereotype because we are African American, there was nothing combative going on btw us we was simply trying to find a way out to the lobby. There was a sign that was up on the elevator for us not to used but I feel like there should had been additional signs added on elevator for it not be used as well due to the fact that it was broken. We eventually made It down to the lobby after maybe 15-20 mins.

My only complaint was the noise from the outside. The hotel is located close the road and was very noisy, the air conditioner helped drown out the noise when it came on. The front desk was great, the breakfast staff was great! the breakfast was better than I could have imagined!!!

We stayed at the hotel during our visit to Michigan to watch the David Blaine's show. The hotel was reasonably priced on Expedia and included free buffet breakfast each day. The location is conveniently located off of the highway. We were amazed by the service even before we arrived. My husband called the hotel prior to our trip to inquire about the possibility of sending parcels that we wanted to order from Amazon. He spoke to Arun who assured him the packages would be waiting for him in safe storage. We met Arun at check-in and he was even more friendly in person. The check-in process was seamless and the room was spotless. The only recommendation we have is to expand the variety of hot items available for the breakfast buffet. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Michigan. Be sure you meet Arun when you visit :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel! The rooms are in the tower and the halls are in a circle with elevators on each side. Room was quiet and so were the hallways. We were there for our granddaughter's volleyball National Tournament in Detroit. There were volleyball teams also staying in the hotel and yet it was still very quiet! Our drive into Detroit never was a problem at any of the various times of day that we went. Breakfast was VERY delightful. Hotel staff was extremely qualified and friendly!

Excellent hotel! My husband and I stayed for a week and it was the best stay. The service was superb. The management and hospitality staff were very attentive and made us feel like family. My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last week. We were in town for a volleyball tournament. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Arin (I may have mis spelt this-sorry!) was the manager. He was always available and really friendly. Our group of 16 had to leave at 6 am most mornings. The breakfast did not start until 6:30. When I asked him if we could get something to go he said of course. They had the full breakfast ready for us each morning!! Let me add that this breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts we have eaten. He always asked how our day was and asked the girls how their games went. Room service was always fast and efficient. This was a great hotel and I would recommend staying here. Thanks so much !

This hotel knows the difference between just a room and hospitality. It is more than obvious that the selection and training of the individuals working there is of a higher than usual level. Every one that I had the pleasure of meeting who worked there made sure that I was treated with genuine courtesy and hospitality. The breakfast left nothing to be desired from taste to presentation unless you were expecting to be waited on, and if needed I'm sure that the nice young ladies that worked there would have accommodated . The room that I stayed in was well appointed and immaculately clean, and everything worked well.The sound level of the AC might be an issue for someone less traveled, but I slept like a baby (wonderful bed). The manager asked me how was my stay and I told him that I have been to China, Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, even South America to name a few places, and that I can truly say that if their great service stays at that level this hotel is going to become a landmark. I will definitely be back you can bet on it. Thanks for a wonderful Fathers Day.

My boyfriend and I were visiting family and decided to book through Priceline Express Rate. The facade of the building is dated but inside it's pleasantly surprising to be modern and up-to-date. The room itself is cute just super small. The finishings and decor is masculine but has style. There's no full bathtub just a walk in shower and toilet, but the sink is on the outside of that area. It's really a unique building itself and worth the money compared to other prices and knowing the price of the hotel up front. It's in a really great neighborhood one of the better neighborhoods in Detroit area. I would definitely stay in the hotel again if in the area. Breakfast was included, but you are not allowed to take food back to your room. It offered hot breakfast favorites like bacon, toast, oatmeal, grits, cold cereals, scrambled eggs and potatoes. With the selection of coffee, milk, apple juice, and orange juice. I always book through Expedia, Priceline, booking.com, and hotwire.com, when I know the neighborhoods are good, I don't mind which hotel is chosen for me when I book hotel unknown rates.

Arriving at this hotel I was personally greeted by a very cordial staff member. I was offered a goodie bag and check in was smooth. My room was quite comfortable and had all the amenities required and even had make up wipes and a sewing kit - I actually needed both. There is an onsite restaurant with great food as well as a delicious breakfast included with the room I would definitely stay here again.

I travel frequently from Chicago to the Detroit area to do business in Southfield. This hotel is conveniently located beside major highways and expressways. The room is cozy and comfortable, staff is friendly and willing to help. The complementary breakfast has a lot to offer and does not disappoint. They gym meets most fitness needs. The room's amenities are sufficient for a business person - ample working space, USB connections, and a HDMI outlet to the TV.

I don't have to think where I am staying as this is home away from home! Wonderful staff, great local knowledge and food at Nomad grill. I heard about historic significance of tin can building! Looks great and feels very comfortable. A very good rebuild to keep this history of Detroit alive.

I enjoyed my stay at this location! Hotel recently renovated. Very nice people on the front desk, breakfast was fine! I loved the fact that it was real plates and silverware instead of disposable forks and knives.. they helped me with everything I needed - stay for a whole week. And I definitely will be back.

I was privy to stay at this hotel for two years in a row. The first visit was right after their remodeling and reopening to now return for the second visit. it was a wonderful thing to be greeted by some of the same friendly staff and to see the growth of amenities, guest, and even more staff. The hotel is clean and they have added a great continental breakfast, along with great customer service I will be choosing this hotel year after year for I will return to Southfield MI from Dallas TX annually. Special thanks to Arun and JC for extending great care and service and for showing such great hospitality and treating us like family. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. From the moment you check in, the staff are welcoming and has a nice ambience. Brand new/ comfortable feel to the rooms/gym area and the lobby area. The stay was so-so but the worst experience was the checkout, when they made a mistake that caused a long and inconvenient situation for me. The managers were not on their top to solve the issue, customer satisfaction is not on the top of their priority list.

Asked for a quite room, away from the lifts ... received 915 Directly outside the lifts, facing the busy main road. Had to turn off the AC, as it's fan sounded like a turbo propeller..... I need not really go on. I wouldn't make this mistake again.

My nephew's destination wedding was in Detroit over Memorial Day Weekend. About 100 out of town guests stayed at the Best Western Premier Hotel, a well-appointed and fully equipped location that was a mere 7 minutes from the wedding venue. The hotel staff all went out of their way to work with the families and meet all of our needs and requirements. Furthermore, the hotel rooms themselves were clean and had everything we needed; the banquet rooms were quite large; breakfast was not huge, but was varied and tasty. One complaint - the hotel should be able to accommodate more than two people in a room, but there was no provision for roll-away beds or even mattresses for kids staying in parents' rooms. But we managed and a good time was had by all.

LOUD. This hotel is loud. The walls and windows are simply paper thin; the room doors slam loudly. The AC/Heating units are "old school" and kick on loudly and repeatedly All. Night. Long. If you are a light sleeper, you absolutely will not get any sleep at this hotel. It really is a shame, because otherwise this is a nice hotel. Very clean, the staff is wonderful, the location is pretty central, and the prices are reasonable. So if you are the kind of person that "sleeps like a rock" through anything, then I actually would recommend this hotel. If, however, you are a light sleeper & need peace & quiet to be able to sleep, I would recommend booking another hotel. If you absolutely must, I would request a room on the highest floor possible (to keep away from the street noise), and as far away from elevators and vending machines (and other guests, if possible).

Lovely staff and a nice hotel. We were very happy with the service from the time we walked in the door. The lobby is inviting and there was free coffee, tea and water on top of the complimentary hot breakfast. The breakfast is decent with many options, including meat, eggs and fresh fruit. Another nice touch was the little welcome bag we were given at checkin with bottled water and some snacks. From the front desk to the restaurant and housekeeping, all the staff we encountered were welcoming and helpful. The decor of the room itself is a bit dark and outdated but the full wall of windows really brighten it up and offer a pretty spectacular view during the day. If returning I would request a room facing away from the main road as I found the traffic noise bothersome (my boyfriend didn't mind it at all, so it's just personal preference I guess). Beside the noise of traffic outside the room was well insulated from other noise within the hotel. The elevators were quiet and also remarkably fast! Never waited more than a minute to go up or down. The room felt fairly clean and had nice little details, like artfully folded towels in the bathroom. The shower/toilet situation is compact but has good ventilation and good water temp and pressure in the shower. The TV was great and had a nice selection of channels. The bed and pillows were comfortable too. It was just cool enough that we didn't have to run the fan/AC at night, which was good because it's pretty loud! That said, in my experience it's a pretty standard unit for this class of hotel so a bit of a “you get what you pay for” situation. Overall a great value for your money. Safe and convenient location (about 20 minutes to drive downtown and 30 to auburn hills). Great people on site. Gas, convenience stores and restaurants in walking distance. From the pictures it looked like there's a hot tub and sauna but we didn't have time to check that out. There also seemed to be lots of convenient parking spaces and even a priority section for electric vehicles. As long as I could find a room away from the main road I would not hesitate to return.

While it may not look new on the outside, don't let that fool you. Upon arrival, my coworker and I were very surprised when we entered the lobby to find that it has recently been completely remodeled, and quite well. From the lobby to the rooms, everything has been completely updated. The staff was very courteous and welcoming. The next time I have to come to this area for work trips, I will certainly stay here.

I stayed for a week and it felt like a home.Staff is very friendly and hotel is very clean, breakfast is excellent and Waffles is amazing. At night also at the bar got some nice entertainment. I recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel while in town visiting family. The hotel was really nice, updated and clean. The beds were big and comfortable also. The con would be, shower only in the bathroom. Not really convenient when traveling with young kids.The breakfast was also not to bad. I will definitely stay again the next time I'm in Detroit.

Great staff everyone I encountered greeted me with a genuine smile. They all seemed eager to assist and address any and all concerns. Checked in and Reccee was corteoues, helpful, and professional. Wasn't sure if my room was occupied because door was left open. While waiting for Angela another staff to verify. Reccee walked around with me and showed some other areas. The dining area and restaurant was very clean and elegant. I received a bag with two water bottles, chips, and two chocolate candies. That was a nice touch! Though they do have a snack area with an assortment of goodies, at cost. The breakfast is free that's always a plus. There was hot food bacon, sausage, eggs. A better variety and selection. The hotel is located in an area wherein your close to other restaurants and some shopping. Try it out aim sure you won't be disappointed.

Just one liner should suffice for this Best Western Premier- - It is indeed the “Premier” in the Metro Detroit area in all respects: Rooms, Restaurant, Bar and the Team! The only facility it lacks is swimming pool but tries to make it up with a very large professional gym and Sauna.

I always come to the Best Western Premier in Southfield during my business trips: because I can always rely on a great service. Arun has a great and friendly staff. I always feel welcome at the hotel. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast has everything you need (and more). There is a gym to keep you in shape and even a small SPA area where you can relax after work. I´ve been there several times during the last year and I will for sure go there the next time when I come to Detroit!

We were welcomed by a fantastic hostess. I was very impressed with the room renovations. While eating lunch in the hotel restaurant (my 2nd time), I was struck by how beautiful and homey the decor was. I loved the rugged, artistic displays, light fixtures and comfy chairs. Wonderful staff, delicious lunch options, live music, great breakfast, modernized room. You'll enjoy your stay.

My friend and I were stranded in Detroit for 2 days on our way to a trip to Italy. We had been diverted to Detroit twice by the same airline when they couldn't land in New York. We had been flying for over 14 hours from Phoenix to Detroit where we finally ended up. We were both exhausted and starving since we hadn't really eaten since the morning. It was after 130am when we arrived at the hotel. They were sooo nice and very accommodating. They even kept their restaurant open for us to order some food, The hotel itself was clean and decorated attractively. The rooms were spotless and the breakfast that came with the room was very nice.However the best part of the hotel itself was the staff. Cory at the front desk and his team went out of their way to help us out and do what they could to make our stay great. I would return to this hotel in a heartbeat they were awesome !!!!

"Solid Suburban Hotel "

Newly renovated and situated outside of Detroit in the Northern Suburbs. My room was nice but it was a little bit loud due to busy street noise and the air-conditioning unit. The hotel staff was really nice and the manager was very friendly. This hotel is a great value and a huge addition to the area and I would recommend staying here on business if you're in town. There's not a whole lot around the hotel and it helps to have a car when you're staying here because it took a long time to get an Uber or Lyft (I didn't have a car).

I frequently travel to the area on business- the staff is super professional and helpful. The facilities and rooms are clean and definitely a great place to stay- especially for the price. I have stayed at the Westin in Southfeild- I prefer this hotel much more and have been staying here whenever I travel to the Detroit area over the past 4 months.

I received the best serviced I've ever had while staying at this place. I was greeted very professionally and kindly when I checked in. The room was every clean.! Full free buffet breakfast! Easy access to Detroit city and a safe location. We felt safe and had a comfortable night's sleep. Very friendly and welcoming after doing lots of driving. A huge thank you to the team, really enjoyed our stay and will head back there on a return trip.

I was here for a very large party from a local radio station. The service was excellent. The hotel and rooms were clean. The room was a little small but perfect for two people. The beds were comfortable!! The sprawling free breakfast buffet was excellent!! Great location and is close to many different freeways. The only negative I have is the bathroom sinks. They are supposed to be cool and modern but you end up getting water all over the counters just washing your hands. In the bathroom was freezing it was hard to get warm.

The staff at this hotel is incredibly friendly and accommodating. They also offer shuttle bus for us. Great hotel ever. The hotel doesn't have a lot frills but they have what you need - great service, food and decent rooms.I'm really enjoy my stay at Bestwestern. I would stay here again.

Recent renovation is good, but rooms have dark carpet, dark drapes, dark furnishings, trying for a modern, updated feel. Staff friendly and complimentary breakfast was the great--real eggs, thick bacon,sweet breakfast pastries with real plates, coffee mugs, glasses and flatware. Such a nice change from paper/plastic!!

My family of 4 traveled from VA to Detroit for a funeral. We booked one room for 3 nights on priceline (the website indicated that rooms sleep two adults). We had no idea that the only bed option was 1 king bed until we checked in. The bed option, for two adults and 2 kids would have been very uncomfortable for us, so the front desk representative suggested that we speak to her manager. Once we explained our situation to him, and he offered us a second room for nearly a third of the price we paid for the first room. We were so surprised and were very thankful. The customer service at this hotel was impeccable! The staff were friendly, and the breakfast was delicious! I would highly recommend this hotel. BRAVO Best Western Premier!!!

Many of the tenants had to leave our apartment complex due to water and heating issues. We were given the option to stay at the Premier Best Western. I'm so happy it was one of the options. The rooms are beautiful, clean and modern. The food is good. The staff is so nice and helpful. The hotel management felt so bad about our living situation, that they actually set up dinner for us because they knew we had to be spending a lot of money eating out. It was such a nice gesture. I didn't want to leave. Whenever I want to do a staycation, and just get away and relax, I will definitely go back to this hotel!

Great experience...Excellent! I stayed at this hotel because I had plumbing and heat problems at my residence. The Best Western Premier Hotel in Detroit came immediately to my rescue. They provided clean and comfortable accommodation with short notice. The hotel staff is very nice and made me feel like family. I was right at home. I will recommend this hotel to my family and friends anytime they travel to Southfield.

The management was very understanding of my plight, and they bent over backwards to make my stay very comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, and the staff very gracious. Housekeeping was very efficient. A great hotel with comfortable rooms, and very good location. Arun was a spectacular host. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

I have stayed here for over one week due to repairs required at my residence. The room is very clean and comfortable. Housekeeping does a great job. The hotel staff provides excellent customer service in going above and beyond their duty. Upper management goes out of their way to insure a pleasant stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone.

"Could of been a lot better"

The rooms need to be clean a little better. Hair on towels bed uncomfortable probably the worst pillows I have ever slept on at any hotel. The deadbolt on the door was broken. Water was not warm at all when I was taking a shower. Need some work done to their property.

Good customer service, if you want a room with extra space get one on upper floors 15-16, they come with a full size frig and microwave. They have conference rooms that you can use and the restaurant was really nice also.

Great food for breakfast! Great staff! We didn't have a scrapper and they got us one! Beautiful remodel! The location is central to everything! Easy access to the freeway to get to Detroit and to the suburbs. The city view was amazing!

"Tried a suite this time"

We've stayed here several times in the past and this time decided to try a suite. The room was huge - separate living area and bedroom (pocket door between them), kitchen area with sink, microwave and full size refrigerator - and pleasantly organized and decorated. The kitchen cabinets were empty, so this is not intended to be a home away from home sort of room. We were comfortable, but it was cold and the windows are not well insulated, so near the windows was decidedly chilly even with the drapes shut. The room was basically clean, but they need to get all of the dead bugs out of the bathroom light fixture. Our stay was around the holidays, which may have accounted for some maintenance type issues. I had to go to several floors to find a working ice machine. The elevators that went to our floor were marked out of order. I am not a fan of the breakfast here at the best of times, but breakfast the first day was dreadful. There were no black tea tea bags. I got out my own and filled a cup, but the “hot” water was cold. When I asked a server (busy chatting with a coworker in the closed adjacent restaurant) for hot water, she told me to put my cup in the microwave. Happily, her coworker was a greater asset of the hotel and without being asked promptly brought a steaming cup of hot water to the table. The eggs were terrible: over cooked, dry and stone cold in their serving dish. Luckily the next day it was better. The front desk staff were uniformly pleasant. We'll be back.

"Always wanted to stay in a round hotel"

Stayed here for three nights in August. The price was fair, The rooms were fresh and clean. The staff was friendly, although some of it could have used a little more training. Bright and airy, just hope all of the amenities are open and usable. The pool and fitness center were not open when we were there. The breakfast could have had a little more variety, my wife's big complaint was that there wasn't oatmeal everyday.

"Beautiful Hotel"

My children and I stayed here 11/18 - 21/2017. This is a gorgeous hotel. My room was beautiful, clean, and everything was high-end. I was given a gift bag upon arrival with snacks and water. Awesomeness !!! My room had a huge walk-in shower which I loved. No climbing over a tub for me !!! We didn't have a fridge or microwave in our rooms, but I believe they were available upon request. Staff was super friendly and helpful, and my daughter was able to keep her yogurt in their fridge and someone was always available to get it for her. Complimentary breakfast was delicious. They offered a potato mix of red, white, blue and sweet. First time I've had this, and they were delicious !!! Bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, waffle maker, and many other items. It's great that there's a bar-restaurant on premises. Unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to check it out. Only issue I had was getting hot water at the sink. I didn't bother mentioning it to staff until we departed, as it wasn't a huge issue.

"It became my home for a little over a month."

This hotel has been renovated a short time, still missing some items to be totally renovated. What stood out here was the care of their staff, they were kind and made my long stay something similar to home life. The location is very good, close to mall and industries, easy access. Restaurant that works attached and good however, for a month's stay, we needed to look elsewhere. I liked it!

"Poor Communication"

First thing after booking, I receive an email with an invoice for $30.00. No explanation, and no response to my query. Check in was great, provided with a bit of history of this old hotel and recent rejuvenation. Then I get a document where I must initial half a dozen items, including that I won't have "unregistered guests" in my room after 21:00. Very invasive. The room was excellent, on a high floor looking towards Detroit. Breakfast was also excellent, along with lots of choices where to sit. On check-in I was told that I could charge everything in the Nomad Restaurant to my room. At the bar, I was told not so.

My stay is was very disappointing. Nice hotel, however not clean. I pulled the cover back, to which the sheets looked dirty. Thinking to myself, these sheets was not changed. Pull the covers all the way back to find some dirty socks in the bed. Very discouraging! I then call the front desk, I was put in a different room. The comp was two bottles of water. I was very insulted, I just paid really good money for poor service...

The stay was very chic as the facilities are revamped just recently and everything has been very well tended to from not only the flag level but also the management level for putting attention to detail when it comes to decor. It has had a major overhaul given the pictures we saw for the previous property. The restaurant on premise is great added with free breakfast. To add to it there is a great corridor which showcases the historic old pictures of the city from its origins to where it is today. Very nice touches, warm and memorable stay.

Stayed at this hotel last night. Easy access just off 696 as you exit Telegraph southbound. A unique hotel as it is circular in shape with 4 elevators in the middle and rooms on the outside so each has a view. 15 stories, used to be a Holiday Inn I think. The hotel has been totally renovated. Checked in about 2:30pm into King Rm on 14th floor facing south. Room was fine, on the small side and lacking fridge and microwave. Heating unit was noisy with something vibrating inside when activated. Turned it off to sleep. Bathroom kind of tight with external sink. WiFi worked well as did large flat screen TV. The included breakfast the next morning was quite good with scrambled eggs, three kinds of potatoes, bacon, sausage, toast, cereal, waffle maker, coffee, orange and apple juice... good selection of offerings. They had water, coffee, tea station in lobby. Free parking, newspapers, lounge area with TVs... would recommend hotel to all and if in the area again would most definitely stay... only thing lacking is a real hot tub and pool.

The room was much nicer than I expected. The staff were amazing, and the breakfast was fabulous. I would recommend this hotel for sure. Aron at the front desk treated me like a VIP helping me with a later checkout and held a bag which needed to be picked up when I would not be there. The staff were overall very helpful.

Management and staff obviously love this hotel. My husband and I arrived with a visitor in a wheelchair and the manager insisted on giving us a ground floor wheelchair accessible room for the day and another hotel room for the night. This was gracious, thoughtful service that went beyond any of my past hotel experiences. The hotel was spotless and and the room was clean and nicely decorated. I am now a loyal customer and will be returning to this hotel the next time I'm in Detroit.

Great and easy location, in particular for my trip. Very nice fitness center and breakfast setup, although the walk to the fitness center was a bit weird, lots of twists and turns through the caverns of the building. Absolutely loved the room. For the rate that I paid, this was the nicest hotel that I have stayed taking price into account. Excellent service at check-in, nice selection for breakfast.

I was on a quick business trip to Southfield and chose this hotel based upon its reviews on Trip Advisor. I don't consider myself picky. That being said, this place was barely average. Starting with check-in. The hotel took a "security deposit" which they said would be refunded at check-out. The first time that ever happened to me. The room. i am assuming each room had a separate window mounted heating and air conditioning system. It was noisey and woke me up at night. The bathroom. Adjacent to the entry door. The toilet and shower were in a water closet. If the door was open everyone the hall could hear you doing your business. The bartender could not make drinks. Breakfast was poor. Lumpy dirty looking eggs. There are better choices

The place is run with great service and a team of very friendly staff. Room was clean and stocked with extra toiletires. They also offer standard breakfast in the morning. I checked out at 12, but they allowed me stay in the room until 2 pm when they learned that my flight was after 4pm. Great experience overall.

I stayed at this hotel with my girlfriend we came in late and realize we lost are key when we was getting ready to leave we called down stairs and ask them have they seen it or did anybody turn it in. The manager on site walked outside with us in the rain to look for it of courses we didn't find it. We called around and found a place that made car keys. Check out was at 11 they let us stay in are room free of charge until the locksmith came and u locked are door and made the keys which was about 330pm they never once called and ask when we was leaving they o my offer help very very good hotel and staff if you in the area stay there it's awesome and the room is nice

Great experience and very nice/unique hotel. The hotel design was different that what we normally secure but it was perfect for a couples trip. We enjoyed the hotel and free hot breakfast and we were given a $10 restaurant credit but unfortunately did not have a chance to use it. However we heard great things about the food there...maybe next time.

This hotel did not live up to the "premier" standard. I've been at BW Plus' that were better. The only thing premier about it is the building itself, the amenities and desk staff were lacking for sure. First of all, at check in the gentleman checking me in, Arum, who appeared to be the manager picked up my 2 travel cards that were to be applied to my room and looked at them, but then didn't apply them to my bill. He then tried to run my card for the full amount, which bounced the card since i was not prepared to have that much charged on it. Then announced to me and everyone in the lobby that my card was declined. It took a few mins for me to figure out that he had never deducted the travel card amounts from the bill, very embarrassing! While checking in, which took over 30 mins, even tho i told them i was in a hurry, a guest came into the lobby with his ice bucket from the room saying he couldn't find ice anywhere. The desk staff told him ice machines were on all the odd floors to which he said he knew and the ones he went to didn't have ice, so they filled his bucket in the restaurant. Later i went thru the same thing, tried 4 floors before i found some, waiting on a painfully slow elevator each time. I mentioned it at check out and the girl behind the counter said "We had no idea!" i said yes you did, a guy had the same problem yesterday when i was checking in to which she said "Well i don't know about that" Also the breakfast was terrible! The breakfast area looked very nice with fancy metal holders for the hot items and whatnot. But there were only 4 hot items, eggs,potatoes, some "hash" type thing and an empty bin that said it should have bacon, very disappointing! At least there were the ever present waffles to eat, but not what i expected from a "Premier".

If you're in the greater Detroit area especially in the western suburbs, consider this Best Western Premier. It's been entirely redone and done well. Wonderful staff. Amazing value that includes breakfast. Quick access to 696. We were surprised at how great it was. Disregard reviews from pre-refurbishment - mid-2017.

The hotel lobby is very quaint and boutique. Very clean and modern. There is a waterfall that provides a nice ambiance. The restaurant is amazing, 5 star!! The rooms are very cozy with great décor!! Lighting is AMAZING and the rooms are technologically advanced. They provide EU charger conversion so no need to bring adapters here. The workout room was very clean and open. The banquet rooms are over the top, great to consider for a wedding or big party!! The most amazing part...FREE BREAKFAST! I felt like I was at a 5 star Marriott or Ritz! Very impressed! Great Price points also!!

This hotel was close enough to all the Detroit functions that we wanted to attend. The staff were all very friendly, and the rooms were of high quality with very new renovations. We did have an issue with Hot Water to our room, but the staff was very quick to remedy the situation by providing us another room.

We recently stayed here for a few nights and it was nice. The entire staff was attentive and very friendly. We met the owners while we were in the lobby. The rooms are very clean and updated. Parking was easy and available close by. Breakfast was stocked and staff was there if you needed anything. I'd stay here again if I come back to the area. It was very centrally located for everything we had to do while here. Troy was 9 miles away and royal oak only 7 miles. Great job to the new owners, you've done a great job updating and hiring good help.

I like the appearance of the renovated Best Western Premier. The upgrades were nice. I arrived after a long day of travel at 2am only to disagree with the front desk person who wanted to charge me for arriving "early". My reservation was for Friday and the hotel was not in a sold out or capacity scenario, so I was not sure why they wanted to charge me for coming early. Although I did see the charge posted on my credit card anyway despite the agreement for me to discuss it with the manager when the manager became available, upon check out the clerk did remove it. A different person from who checked me in. Oh, forgot to mention I was given the room key and checked into a room that already had occupants. I am sure to be awakened at 2am to a stranger coming in was not ideal. I went back down to the desk and told them the room was occupied. Which makes me question their system a bit. Check your bills before leaving for accuracy. Other wise, the property itself was great.

I booked a room for 2 nights. The 2nd night was booked separately using rewards points from my credit card. Upon checkout, the hotel charged me for the 2nd night even though it was already paid for. I immediately brought this to their attention. They took my cell #, reservation # and email address and assured me the charge would be reversed. I've called back 3 times and spoke with 5 different people and it is still not resolved.

However, we were informed of this on the 5th of this month and on the same day we conferred with Expedia and sorted the matter and refunded to you the amount due even before we could get it square off for our accounting, with Expedia. The Southfield Best Western is a very nice hotel for all types of travelers. Our rooms was well decorated with possibly the best the best shower ever. The bathroom area is small and could use a shelf or two for personal toiletries. The room seemed to be quite sound proof. There are several elevators which allows for quick trips up or down. The hotel is situated in a convenient place to reach all areas of Greater Detroit. We will definitely return.

While staying at this hotel, I had the best customer service experience. I met several wonderful staff members. They helped me through out the entire process from check in to check out. The owner of the establishment came out personally to introduce himself and he was just as personable as the staff members. I am currently 5 months pregnant and he made me feel comfortable knowing that their have 99.8% bacteria resistant TV remotes and follow a practice of Ultra Violet Sanitization of bed mattresses and other hard surfaces to make these 99% bacteria free. I would definitely be back to stay here again and I recommend this hotel to be the hotel of choice for anyone wanting to stay in this area.

Night one was at a crappy Holiday Inn, worst I've been in. Coworker told me about the Best Western right by job site. Went in and was very happoy I did so. Staff was amazing, every one of them. Entire hotel was newly remodeled and well one. Rooms were very nice and all the little extras were very well done. Small gripe, 4 small pillows! Included breakfast was above par for the chain. My only hope is that I get another chance to stay here!

Dropped of a third year student. Ok I was to tired to drive back home so we found this place on trip adviser and it was a great pick. • So about the hotel the first thing is very clean • we had a Eletric smell in our room so we called the front desk. ( right away) The manager came right up and call someone to look into the problem. We were given another room right away. • The new room was just as clean and as nice as the other ( my wife love it to) •The lobby is very clean • Th ground worker was out cleaning and feeling the fountain. • For a quick stop the was a great place to stay and we will be back again. •there were newlyweds just coming in when we got there also. •one last thing the was a young lady that come in and went to the front desk and was very vulgar and the desk clerk was very Professional the time of the rant and she left. I do not know what was going on but he handled it great and with style.

My husband surprised me with a getaway weekend for my birthday which started at the Best Western Premier hotel. Just driving up to the cylinder building was breathtaking in itself but that was just the beginning. As we walked in, we were amazed with the beautiful decor that immediately made us feel like we were in a 5 star hotel. Not only were we greeted by their amazing staff, but the hotel owner JC welcomed us and gave us a complete tour and history of the 12 week old hotel. Talk about feeling special...JC and his staff truly did. The rooms were gorgeous and had very comfortable beds. The gym was actually a gym...not just a closed in room with a couple of machines. It was in a spacious and bright room with great views. The free breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. It felt like we were eating in a restaurant instead of in a hotel. We have stayed at plenty of hotels but Best Western Premier is by far the best one we've stayed at in the Midwest. If you are looking for great quality, friendly staff, and beautiful ambience in the Southfield area, then you definitely should plan a stay there. The only problem we had was we didn't want to leave. We loved that place.

My boyfriend and I saw a concert in Detroit and stayed two nights here. Both being hotel employees, we were excited to be the guests this time. We were nothing short of impressed with this hotel. It is priced modestly but makes you feel spoiled. Just walking in to the main entrance you can tell that more than a modest amount of money was put into renovating this hotel. We had a high floor room with a gorgeous view, comfortable bed, and spacious shower. Despite the large look of the hotel, there seems to only be about 8 rooms per floor and we had no issues with other guests or noise. Great TV channel selection too! Breakfast was so so delicious, incomparable to what is offered by the hotels we work at. My boyfriend and I took advantage of the sauna but the hot tub was not working when we stayed. The GM personally introduced himself to us and we were offered a tour of the hotel, which we are looking forward to during our next stay. We are looking for another excuse to stay another night!

We stayed here one night. This is a very good BW hotel. It is very modern, rooms are well decorated, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was a little small but very functional. There is an onsite bar and restaurant. We ordered burgers which were excellent. All the staff we encountered were very professional, friendly and helpful. The hotel is near a major road and there is some road noise but not sufficient to put anyone off using this very good hotel.

This is the first BW Premier I've stayed at, and I was slightly disappointed compared to other hotel chains. Don't get me wrong, the hotel and my stay were fine, but the overall feel within the hotel is not the same as other brands. Regardless, staff were friendly, room was clean, bathroom clean (although small). Breakfast was standard, but again not at the level you expect from a "premier" hotel.

This is an outstanding hotel. Some complain that the rooms are small. OK, a little smaller, but with the king bed and one wall is all glass with a view, it didn't have a feeling of small. It was comfortable, very clean and wonderful beds/pillows. Hope all the positives don't make the rates go up, as the location and hotel are a good value.

We spent a couple of night here while in the area on a family matter. Our experience was uneven. This is a 60's type circular hotel property that has been rehabbed. The location is convenient to freeways but is otherwise noisy and congested. On check in, the two front desk people were both new - one was being trained and the other said he had relocated to the area a week ago - and were unfamiliar with the rooms. When we got to ours, on the highway side with a traffic view, the carpet had not been vacuumed in a while. There were crumbs all over the floor. Our request for another room was unavailing even though the hotel was not very full. But a kind person from housekeeping eventually came up and ran a vacuum cleaner. There is neither microwave nor fridge, which is pretty unusual even at a lower price point. The room decor was fine. You could still see remnants of the past life, like a broken window seal that clouded half of our windows but overall they were not bad. We were bothered by hall noise several times. But the bed was comfortable, which made up for a little noise. Breakfast was not what one would expect at this price point. If I had to use one word, it would be "stingy:" supermarket bread, food service microwaved scrambled eggs, food service bulk items throughout. It was pretty basic. The hot trays were never more than about a quarter full, even when refilled. The bacon, though, was excellent. There is coffee in the lobby of the instant variety. Checkout was very slow - more inexperience. We'd return if the price was consistent with our expectations.

I went to this location looking for a space for a large engagement party. As someone that plans events often, I was blown away by the different spaces and the amenities for events. They can really host an event of any size. The place is gorgeous and not like other places in the area. It is a great option to have an event in a hotel, so guests don't have to travel. I got a tour of not only the event space but also the rooms. As someone that travels for work, it was great to see all of the updates they have in the rooms. They even have a feature where you can show your presentation on the TV in the room to see how it will look, this is great.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a business trip. The hotel was booked by a colleague so I was completely in the dark of what sort of hotel we'd be staying at until we arrived. We were immediately greeted by JC and his extremely gracious staff. JC was the MOST welcoming hotel manager I've ever encountered. We had a lovely chat and he made sure to tell us about all of the hotel's amenities and special features that they carefully appointed in each room. We were each given a small gift bag with snacks and water - which was a special treat given I had traveled a bit that day and had been in an all day meeting before checking in. The room did NOT disappoint. Everything was meticulously cleaned and the finishes in the bathroom and the lighting in the bedroom ... all were just exceptional. The included breakfast the following morning was actually DELICIOUS. Hotel breakfast is not generally my favorite - but the eggs were well prepared, the potatoes well seasoned... I just can't say enough. If I ever find myself back in Southfield I will MOST CERTAINLY stay with JC and his staff. It was one of the best hotel experiences I've ever had.

Our room was great and the staff very attentive but not over intrusive. The facility was visually appealing. Great view. Bar and lounge very comfortable, food and service was welcoming. Recommend this location to everyone. Easy access to down town and the different happens around the city.

I recently (July 31st) had two rooms on Best Western Rewards Points. About one week later I noticed charges of around $30.00 per room were made by this property to my credit card. I made multiple calls to this property and each time was told that the manager was not in and would return my call later. This went on for about two weeks...me calling and being told the manager would return my call later. The call never came. I finally had to get Best Western corporate involved and about a week later, my card was credited for both charges. I am a road warrior, averaging around 140 nights/year for past 30 years. BW was always a third or fourth option for me but I did stay enough times in 2016 to earn their highest reward status (Diamond?). Because of this experience not only will I no longer stay here but I will most likely never stay in a BW property again. I don't have time to chase problems like this. The property was very nice, wifi worked well, and the room was clean. Breakfast did not have many healthy options for someone eating a whole foods, plant based diet (no oatmeal or 100% whole grain bread). My two primary hotel chains (Hilton and IHG offer both. However, I will not stay in a property where the management does not respect the customer enough to return calls to resolve a problem.

I recently toured this newly renovated hotel. What a new hidden gem for the cities of Detroit & Southfield. This property is glowing once again, a massive improvement over the previous Holiday Inn brand. All rooms have a king size bed; the handicap rooms are spacious; property has many conference rooms; banquet rooms are beautiful; food is delicious (full service restaurant &bar) & room rate is affordable & includes a full complimentary breakfast. These are just a few of the amenities one would find at this property. The staff and business maker (J C) were very helpful and personal. Whenever possible, I will recommend this hotel to my clients, family & friends.

The BEST WESTERN OVERNIGHT STAFF, was very rude and very unprofessional. Would not allow paying guests to have their visitors in room. When asked why not the staff on duty said thast it was best western policy. How embarrassing was this for me. And I was tralvering on military business in full military uniform and so was my guest. "On the night of 18th /19th Aug.at approximately 0200 hrs a lady came in asking for location of the elevators and said she wanted to meet a lady friend. She was politely informed her that unregistered visitors are not allowed in guest rooms after 10pm but she can meet her friend in the lobby. The friend that came down turned out to be a man not a lady and asked where his sister was. They sat down in the lobby and chatted for a while. He asked if his guest could go to his room and was told that yes, provided she registers as a hotel resident with her ID. Both of them discussed for sometime and then she tendered her ID and was allowed to go the room. However,I saw her leaving the hotel after 15-20 minutes." Sir, the above situation may or may not relate to you. However, if it does, we wish to mention that we are a highly conscious hotel for guest's security. For the security reasons, we follow the practice that no unregistered guests are allowed in the rooms. Any guest can however be met in the public areas or registered with us with their ID to be allowed in the room. This helps us support the anti-human trafficking activities. We know that being a military man you could not be linked to any such activities but our staff follows the rules irrespective of the personalities. Recently spent time here. The rooms are very contemporary, the ballrooms and meeting rooms are very nice. The gym has a lobby or waiting room next to it and the entrance is very elegant. Overall, this is a 3.5 star hotel with a 4 star atmosphere.

Staff was very attentive... almost too much. Place is spotless, breakfast is among the best I have ever found at a Best Western. Room was elegantly laid out and very comfortable. Not much more to say --- other than try it yourself.

My last visit to this Best Western was a real treat. The rooms I saw were in great shape and the views really showed off the city of Southfield, MI. The work out room and meeting rooms are really classy. Great spa and sauna! I also enjoyed my lunch in their restaurant! Can't wait to stay there with my wife. Hope they have entertainment sometime.

My stay at Best Western, Southfield was great. The service was excellent from the front dest, housekeeping, servers during breakfast and even the maintenance staff. Everyone was professional and very pleasant to deal with. The rooms are beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. A great place to return to after a challenging day. As a female traveling alone, I felt quite safe here. My only complaint would be about the inconsistency of the internet access. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it did not.

I had the pleasure of touring this property recently. The transformation is amazing. I couldn't believe I was standing in the same hotel that was the Holiday Inn. Everything is clean and elegant. The rooms are comfortable and clean. So much thought went into the design and features of this hotel. The staff is welcoming and attentive and eager to help. The restaurant is wonderful. The décor is great. I can't say enough about this property. I am a corporate travel agent and would not hesitate to book my clients here. Even our VIP travelers would have a hard time finding anything wrong with this hotel.

The staff was very welcoming when I checked in. The room very nice, nice bedding, comfy bed. Small bathrooms and showers controls are out of reach with the glass wall so you have to step into the shower and get sprayed with cold water to turn it on. There are plenty of outlets on the desk and next to the bed. I ran hot water for tea through the coffee machine and my tea tasted terrible - I found a used coffee filter still in the machine - so check that carefully. The elevators are pleasantly very fast. Very parking. Breakfast is fee - hot bar with scrambled eggs, bacon, home fries, and all the cold stuff too. A restaurant is on site, but if I stay here I won't eat there. The meal was disappointing - and there is not a large selection on the menu - little for children. I booked this hotel thru hotels.com and got a room along busy Telegraph Road and across from the elevator.

The room was very clean and the customer service was great every one that we had contact with was also very friendly. This establishment is not to far from Comerica Park and easy to find. We stayed because we took in a Tiger's game, very easy to find and not far from the highway. I would highly recommend this establishment to anyone and will stay here again when we take in another Tiger's game or a weekend get a way to the Detroit area.

In case you are only going to read the first line of this review, know that the beds at this hotel are high end mattresses and extremely comfortable and the rooms have nice black out curtains. We were recently in Southfield, MI for a family event. We have stayed at another large chain hotel in the past but were not very happy with that property so were searching for another option when we came across the listing for BW Premier. Our family knew that the property had recently opened after being renovated from a closed hotel but other than that had not personally visited the property. Based on reviews, pricing and location we decided to try it. We are so happy with that decision! The owners and management of Best Western Premier have done a wonderful job in creating a beautiful property without loosing the personal touch. The lobby is nicely appointed and we were immediately welcomed by a personable staff member. Kudos to management in their selection of staff and training because LaWanda was so professional and helpful during our early check in process. Our room was clean and nicely appointed. Having the toilet and shower separated from the sink area made getting ready a lot easier for two people in a room. The walk in shower as opposed to a tub with plastic curtain is a feature I appreciate. The bed was extremely comfortable, definitely not your average hotel mattress. Breakfast (included) was average but seating was available in a nice lounge/restaurant room. We will definitely be staying at this property again. Thank you to the management and staff for a very nice stay.

The old Holiday Inn in Southfield has been given a second life, and wow! Having interviewed and researched many businesses in my career, I can spot an extraordinary one from miles away, and this new hotel, banquet, conference, seminar and restaurant complex certainly qualifies. I would urge any traveler or business in the area to pop in and take a look. The amenities and technology are over the top, and the beds are like a narcotic. Chances are, you will find the owner, J.C., at the front desk. And the Nomad Grill adjacent to the hotel has some delicious offerings. I recommend the open face meatloaf sandwich!

"Clean and Friendly Hotel"

This hotel has been beautifully renovated. I stopped in to see a couple rooms for family that is coming in from out of town. Amber who is in charge of housekeeping, showed me the rooms and also gave me a tour of the hotel. Amber was very nice, friendly and knowledgeable about the hotel. Amber introduced me to the owner JC. The owner JC asked me to sit down to talk to him. JC and I had a great conversation about the hotel. I have never had a owner do this. JC gave me his business card for future use. JC was very friendly, nice and made me feel important to him, as that is how he is to guests of the hotel and his staff is the same way. There are amenities such as special soft lighting in the rooms, guest laundry area, etc. I hear that the restaurant Nomad is excellent, can't wait to try it. I will definitely have my family stay here when they are in town. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel will surprise you! It's been completely redone and it's beautiful. They have thought about everything a traveler could want...it's very very clean, the rooms are beautiful, the staff is very friendly,and they have a great restaurant! Every guest is greeted personally with a handshake by the owner/operator. If you need anything...they will track it down for you. Top notch.

I was recently given a tour of this magnificent facility as well as had, lunch in the restaurant and I can say that it is a place I would stay at here in Southfield. The lob by as you walk in gives you a relaxing feeling. The staff are super nice and make you feel welcomed.

I can't began to talk about what a wonderful hotel and experience. This hotel has been completely renovated and has only been open for a couple months. It is absolutely beautiful from the entrance to the lobby to the rooms to the dining room. We were greeted by the owner (JC) who personally helped us carry our luggage to our room. The entire staff was extremely courteous and helpful and when we left insisted on helping to take our luggage to our vehicle. The hotel is in a great location and I will stay again and "HIGHLY" recommend.

Although I travel weekly as a Corporate Trainer, this was my first time staying at a Best Western brand. I normally go to a different brand but they were all booked for my week's stay.After carefully reading the reviews online and looking at the location I reluctantly booked this Best Western Premier location. Much to my surprise!! When I entered the hotel I was greeted with such positive energy that it was overwhelming for a moment. I literally thought I was being "punked". I have NEVER experienced this type of customer service, not even in 5 STAR brands!! The owner not only greeted me, he made a point of thanking me for choosing them and offered me a cold beverage from my long day. I was escorted to the elevator and once I turned the door of my room I was AMAZED! The room was not only beautifully decorated but very clean and the bed was AWESOME! I felt as though I was at home in my master suite. The decor is very rich and the towels are thick and snow white! The hot breakfast was delicious and nothing like other brands. It was thick cut bacon instead of the paper thin and the other breakfast items were fresh and just like homemade! Now back to the customer service.....Every day of my week stay, I was greeted by name and asked about my day! The entire team was polite and delightful! I had lengthy conversation with the owner and we determined that we had similar training in the area of customer service.I could go on and on about this hotel but my advice to anyone is to make this hotel your NUMBER 1 choice for Detroit Michigan and its surrounding areas. You will NOT be disappointed. I will be back next week and I will ONLY stay at this hotel!

My husband and I visited this Hotel and were very impressed. He is from Detroit and remembers when this hotel was a Howard Johnson and how the hotel was in such disrepair for so long. It has now turned into a gem for the city. The meeting places, conference rooms and bonus rooms are amazing. One of the property owners gave us an impromptu tour of the property and we very impressed with what they have done. The rooms are nice and stylish, the bed was comfortable, the view was amazing. We could see all the way Downtown Detroit and saw the sunrise the next morning!!. I recommend this hotel to all and will visit again very soon.

The renovations look amazing. The room was nice and the bed is comfortable. The darkening shades are really helpful and block the traffic noise as well. Great staff who are very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about the Operations Mgr, Arun. He went out of his way to make sure I had what I needed. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a fairly new hotel with a round tower with pie shaped rooms. The beds are comfortable, placed near the windows at the large end of the pie slice. The bathroom is placed near the door to the room at the small end of the pie slice. The shower and commode are in a separate doored room with the sink outside of that room. The room with the shower and commode is fairly small, but how much room do you need? The water in the sink never got cold. I like to drink cold water and so I bought bottled water, but there's no fridge to keep it cool. The staff at the front desk at checkout said they are in the process of getting fridges in all the rooms. The rooms seemed quiet to me. I was on the 10th floor. I did not hear the people on either side of me or above me. The room thermostat let me set a temperature for the room, choose heat, cool, or off, and had a separate button to have the fan remain on. I like the fan on at night so I don't wake each time the air conditioner clicks on or off. The room was kept a comfortable temperature this way. While I stayed, Franklin Road, behind the property was under construction. I didn't hear any of the construction from the hotel.

Hi I was in town for a business conference. This hotel, should have been selected as our conference site, as it is large enough and has ample meeting space available. I chose to stay here instead of the hotel our meeting was at. This hotel is brand new from top to bottom, everything is new. It is very well designed and fresh modern appearance. It appears it was once an iconic hotel for the area, and it will continue to do, as it shows new owners have spent tons of $$$$$, view is great from top levels and the food is awesome.

C.j. took us on tour the hotel and all of it's luxury accommodations. The entire facility ha been renovated to a high end contemporary design facility. They are equipped to accommodate large and I mean very large event (conventions, weddings, family reunions even concerts. There numerous conference room that can be configured to accommodate all kinds of meetings. This all capped off by a restaurant featuring the Chefs formerly at the Couch Insignia. I would highly recommend considering the Best Western Premier Detroit Southfield for you next stay or event.

We only paid $120 for this place. I have stayed in hotels that I've paid $400/night a few not had the same service, clean, spacious and relaxing stay. They really went the extra mile. Semaj was one of the best hospitality staff members I've EVER encountered in all of my travels. I would visit the hotel again just to try to run into him. A+!!

We transferred from Embassy Suites, Southfield. It was like going from the third world to heaven! The entire staff were especially accommodating; the large influx of "refugees" from Embassy was met with quickly added late evening check-in staff. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms spotless, fresh, well designed, and plain comfortable. It was just opened about 4 weeks ago, but the staff was so well honed, they made the stay an effortless delight. We had a really good breakfast (and economical, too) before reluctantly leaving for the airport. Will definitely stay here again. A true oasis.

After a disastrous stay at Embassy Suites Southfield, we were transferred over to the Best Western Premiere Southfield. The hotel owner and staff were were extremely accommodating to my entire family that was visiting Detroit for our family reunion. The rooms were excellent and they even kept the restaurant open much later for my family! I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and their gracious staff!!!

While passing through Detroit I noticed this newly opened hotel & restaurant. I stopped in to have dinner at the restaurant & entered through the lobby. As soon as I stepped foot in the lobby I was greeted by multiple people and just felt so at home. Originally I intended to keep driving north and get a room closer to Midland however I really wanted to spend the night here. The beds are absolutely amazing, the bedding was so comfortable and I will definitely be back. Not to mention the fact that the restaurant next door is amazing. I'm not typically a huge best western traveler however this hotel is the cream of the crop. I will definitely be back and suggest you give it a try as well.

Outside Front door was locked with no way to get anyone's attention at 1:30 am, Dead Bolt in room would not work, and Breakfast mentioned on arrival was not available in the morning because of a rate change. Was 1st week the newly remodeled Best Western had been opened & and was contacted several times by one of owners problems have now been fixed and I believe them. Actual room was completely new as was much of the hotel. I wish them success going forward.

Dead bolt was readjusted. The computer system removed the breakfast with the change of a mark down special rate that was $60 lower ( as a one off opening special requested by you to match the rate permitted by your company with another hotel). However, despite the system deleting it, Lwanda our friendly front office staff offered you breakfast at no cost to keep you delighted. My wife and I have fond memories of the previous incarnation of this hotel, which had a popular revolving rooftop restaurant, no longer there. We stopped in for dinner and were approached by the owner, a native of New Zealand. He wanted to hear our stories about the property, then gave us a tour as he did several of the other reviewers here. His genuine pride in and heartfelt enthusiasm for the lovely renovation job was something one rarely experiences. Don't be put off by the Best Western name...this is the nicest Best Western you're likely to have seen, every bit as well-outfitted as a Westin, Hilton, etc.

Looking to host our ministry conference. The hotel is absolutely amazing, phenomenal job in renovations. I was given a personal tour by the owner JC, he was very kind, and took the time to answer all my questions. The banquet sales manager Liz, and desk clerk Lawanda also rather amazing. Great place to host ministry conference.

I just had dinner at the Nomad Grill, outstanding!!! Hotel is awesome, hard to add to what others have said. I've stayed in many, many different franchised and corporate properties this is the only one that made feel like I am home. The manager personally greeted me with true hospitality. He comes from a "hospitality industry family", they really live customer service. Skip the Westin, Marriot and all the others. You will not be disappointed.

An awesome hotel. It is a great property with beautiful ambiance and architecture. The building just stands out. The front desk staff was excellent and warm especially Arun. The front desk staff was very prompt and proactive and were more than happy to help. The rooms were extremely comfortable. The interiors were beautiful. The brand new property was clean and was extremely well kept. The linen was clean and spotless. The glass door showers were great. Was given a room on the east side, which gave an amazing view of Southfield and the downtown like no other hotel in Southfield, Detroit. The stay was awesome. It is going to be my place of stay whenever visiting Detroit. By far a great place to stay. There was personalized service from check-in to check-out.

Beautiful brand new place to stay , very clean hotel, great city view , convenient location , good food, courteous staff, excellent service , rooms and the meetings / convention hall space very good , Highly Recommended .

I stopped in without a reservation and discovered that it was new and remodeled with up to date decor and amenities, bar restaurant also, great location, it is centrally located to malls, restaurants and businesses
