Front desk staff actually guided us where to park (with a trailer), walked me to the room, showed me where the pool and hot tub were located and watched on camera to make sure we got to into the room safely. Suite was wonderful. Very up north woodsy feeling with a spa tub and gas fireplace. The pool was warm and clean and the hot tub is huge and actually up to temp! My only issue was basically no breakfast. We went down at 9:00 and there was yogurt or a hard boiled egg. Nothing else, so we had to go out for breakfast . Check out wasn't until 11:00 and we were planning on grabbing a quick breakfast at the hotel and then enjoying a soak in the hot tub before leaving. But we were too hungry so missed out on second hot tub experience. And just a heads up… the city taxes added a lot of $ to the room total. The on line price was $202 and after taxes the bill was $287. That's a big difference. Overall though a good experience with great staff. I would recommend.
Very clean, great breakfast, staff very nice, beds very comfortable, I will stay here every time we come to Grantsburg. Logcabin atmosphere is ver relaxing. And it smells amazing , like apple cinnamon when you enter the hotel. Beautiful landscaping as well
The Building and decor gives it the Northwoods appearance. I enjoyed my stay! The room was clean, the beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The breakfast bar in the morning, had waffles you make yourself, Scrambled Eggs, roasted potatoes with red peppers, sausage links, orange juice, lemonade and great tasting coffee. In fact i like coffee in the evening and they keep a warming pot with coffee till 8 p.m. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Siren has a restaurant in walking distance, has great pizza, a bakery and located in a beautiful setting. Venture down to the saloon weekends, that has music and fun , sit outdoors or sit inside.
Quiet and comfortable room. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even had breakfast ready early while we there. The town siren blows every night at 10pm, We thought it was a tornado warning for a second🤣 Highly recommend this hotel!
The air quality in the main room area had an unusual odor. A wet rag was found hanging from the shower curtain rod when we arrived. What appeared to be a lot of pipe tobacco, non-smoked, was on the seat of the black desk chair. A black bug was found crawling across the bathroom tile first thing in the in the morning. The bathroom smelled like urine. The entire toilet seat fell off the toilet right before we left.
The lodge was gorgeous inside and out! Friendly staff. Immaculate room with new log-style furniture. We would love to stay here again! Remote, quiet small town location.
Friendly, thorough and helpful staff. Fresh, hot breakfast with a good selection. Beautiful decor, Lodge feel. VERY CLEAN from the entrance to my room. Fresh clean linens-you can't ask for more. Enjoyed the pool and hot tub. Great upkeep. Sauna was warm. Overall I would give Northwoods lodge a A+++
This hotel surpassed my expectations. My room was exceptionally clean and well maintained. It has a lodge feel with beautiful decor and welcoming ambiance. The staff were helpful, and committed to making my stay comfortable and seamless. Warm breakfast, great variety. Clean, clean, clean!
Room was not very clean. Found an old sock and multiple pieces of old food scattered about. I'm not a person to complain but the fact I found these things in the first 30 seconds tells me it's pure laziness by the cleaning crew. They also don't offer a corporate rate so if you're traveling for work, don't bother. There are other cheaper options in the area with cleaner rooms and just as good of amenities.
When I was looking for hotels in the area, I really didn't expect anything on this scale out there - Siren seems to be off the beaten path. I was pleasantly surprised having found this hotel. The price was a bit higher than I wanted, but I agreed to pay once I realized how good the place is.
We stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament. The moment we walked in the door there was judgment that we were a hockey family. We had to sign a rule sheet that other patrons did not. The hotel was 90% families attending the hockey tournament and at every corner the staff would make comments about how other guest are affected by us being there. I would not recommend this hotel.
From Management, to the rooms, to the breakfast, this hotel is mediocre at best. If you're planning a stay with a youth sports team beware because they impose additional restrictive rules trying to keep the kids out of the hallways and in the room.
Definitely gave the feel of a fancy hunting lodge deep in the woods. And if you don't mind the trophy heads of animals and extreme Christmas decorations, this was pretty reasonably priced for a place that goes through great lengths to dress up. Pool, hot tub and sauna were all functional. I appreciated that our forgotten toothbrush and shampoo were complimentary at the desk if you asked We were in the area for Aurora hunting. It is near some very low light pollution areas. But unfortunately with the time constraints of check in/out times, we really didn't get enough sleep before we had to leave. We were however allowed an additional hour with no extra fees. Seemed to be OK in a case by case basis. Probably won't come here again for our original purpose. Because it really just ended up being a pretty place to hold our stuff. Not a ton of things to do in Siren, so I can see this being a kind of destination place.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and stay at the best Western in Siren, Wisconsin. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions. Our room was clean and pool/hot tub was great. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast both days. Felt like we were at a resort, not a hotel. We definitely recommend.
When entering the lobby, you experience a lodge decor. Check-in and out were seamless. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast consisted of hot and cold items. Will definitely stay here again. Consider it a home away from home.
The hotel was cozy, clean and decorated for the season. It smelt wonderful. Staff was wonderful and very understanding as we had some complications booking through 3rd party. The front desk staff did their best to get us a good deal!
When I checked in I was never told (or given the opportunity to read the fine print) that housekeeping at this hotel is opt-in. So, the room was never cleaned up. Otherwise this is a very nice hotel with very friendly staff and I would have rated it excellent not very good.
The room and bathroom were spotless. There were extra outlets on the table lamps! Yay! The TV worked. These things beat the lodge across town. Bring your own pillow. There were 4 coffee canisters at breakfast, all empty by 6:45. The breakfast was standard, basic, but included! I would prefer not having the strong aroma when you enter, it is some kind of cinnamon candle. That was the lobby, the room was fine. Heater/ac unit was fine, quiet.
This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at this wonderful hotel. The staff is doing a great job. Hotel is clean and nicely decorated. The breakfast was good. Easy sleeping, quite and nice location.
The shower in the handicap room was a shiny material with no mats or other anti slip coating. My 91 year old mother fell in it and hit her head on the metal grab bar. If you need a handicap room, I would never recommend this hotel.
The rooms are very nice, roomy, comfy beds and quiet. They have a very nice breakfast too. Love that rooms also come with refrigerator and microwave. Staff was very attentive. We really like the décor of the rooms too.
I rated this hotel incorrectly. I give this hotel a 5 out of 5. Everything was perfect. Staff was great, rooms clean, continental breakfast was very good. We loved the decor in the hotel too. Would stay here again.
Staff was super courteous and very friendly. I need an accessible room and theirs is very accommodating, roll in shower and plenty of space to maneuver in the actual room. They are close to the local restaurants and snowmobile trails. I would definitely stay again.
We were so pleasantly surprised after a long day of travel to come into the most aesthetically pleasing lodge like hotel. The breakfast was amazing along with complementary popcorn/cookies. We enjoyed sitting in the lobby area. I wish we had a best western like this closer to home.
The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good. The beds were very comfortable. I could have slept in every morning if we didn't have plans for other stuff. Will be staying here again. Highly recommend.
I cannot say enough positive comments about the Northwoods Lodge and its staff. We decided to do our family Christmas there as it was a central meeting point for the families. The 14 family members spent 2 nights at the lodge and had a great time. The staff was outstanding an we will definitely being going back. They had a very spacious area in the lobby for some late-night game playing and the pool and hot tub area were nice and large. One small detail many may not notice is the ventilation in the pool area. Not all the family members are swimmers and pool areas can be hot and smell of chlorine. This was not a problem here. When the young ones swam, the older ones enjoyed some great family games without being too warm or smelling like pool chemicals. Since none of the families were from Siren, the staff gave great recommendations for things to do and restaurants to enjoy. Again, very happy with this hotel and staff.
the crew greeted me when I walked in and when i had an issue with my computer trying to connect to the internet they helped me fix the issue. They were always helpful and had all the snow cleared by morning.
Interior decor of lobby had definite character. The owner/manager took time to tell us about the items that he had personally collected. Breakfast was located in that area so it was pleasant to feel surrounded with a "northwoods" atmosphere. Had a sauna which is not common in most hotels. Jacuzzi was quite large. Breakfast had both hot and cold items. Rooms were nicely decorated and comfortable
As a female traveling alone, I feel safe and comfortable here. It is set up like a lodge/cabin, smells wonderful, calming music, kind & friendly staff. They have security cameras, guest laundry, hot breakfast with fresh fruit, not all sugary foods. You can't go wrong by staying here!
It was getting dark and we still were about 6 hours from home. Spotted the Best Western and there was a room available. Nice room with microwave, fridge, hair dryer. Comfortable bed, nice shower. Clean and quiet.
Exceptional service, ease of check in and check out. Breakfast had many offerings including gluten free options. The lobby and lounge were very inviting and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We didn't use the pool or spa because of lack of time but the entire area looked very inviting.
I stayed at the Best Western hotel in the small Wisconsin town Siren. What I encountered was a “top shelf” hotel that had the highest quality and professionalism. The room room was awesome and the staff accommodating. It was a perfect experience. There really are small town hotels the provide Five Star quality!
What a lovely hotel in the beautiful north woods. Very nice place to stay...clean and very beautifully decorated with a Lodge theme. Staff is very helpful and friendly. My Husband and I would definitely go back when in the area.
. The FRONT DESK SERVICE was exceptional-a perfect example of how business should be done. Service provided with servant hearts! JERRY (I believe the young lady's name was Tammy, but not positive) would be perfect training examples of how a front counter should be performed for AnY service postion!
When I walked into this hotel, I could tell immediately that it was different from similar ones that I have stayed at in the past. The decorating and atmosphere has a definite northwoods vibe, in both the lobby and the bedroom that I enjoyed very much. The feel of the bed and the pillow was just right for me, and the shower was easy to operate. (I often have trouble figuring out how to adjust them, but not this time.) The breakfast was adequate but nothing special, but the room in which you ate was very nice, with plants, high ceilings, and large windows. And every interaction that I had with the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. I would be happy to route a future trip through this hotel.
We did not stay here due to an illness of the person we were coming to visit. So I had to cancel. The man I spoke to on the phone was so kind and thoughtful. If he is the representative of the type of service you get here then I definitely say make your reservation and stay here. We will be back when things turn around and will be staying at this hotel.
This was a treausre to find after many hours on the bike. Music welcomes you on the outside and an inviting cinnamon aroma as you enter. The owner was very friendly. The hotel was wonderfully decorated, clean and very well maintained. We will stop again!
Everything is clean. The pool and hot tub and sauna were perfect. Breakfast was delicious. It smells amazing when you walk in the door. It was the fist hotel my wife wasn't afraid during the night in a long time. It was very safe and secure.
Not a bad stay and though I am a Christian I found their choice of 100% religious music being played in the lobby a little strange. A group of us wanted to play cards in the lobby, and did for a short while, but found the lobby area uncomfortably warm.
Stayed at Best Western Northwoods Lodge for our annual cousins fishing trip. First time in the area. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Breakfast area was clean and good. Breakfast was your typical hotel breakfast. Would recommend this property to anyone staying in the Siren area.
We have stayed at this location numerous times and have never had any problems. Our check-in and out was seamless. The staff are friendly and will try to accommodate your needs. The rooms are spacious and well kept, and above all, clean. Even though you are guests at the lodge, you are treated as friends and family. Our trip was a family outing, and our grandkids enjoyed the pool. After a restful night sleep, we had a great breakfast consisting of both hot and cold items. This is our first choice for motels in the area.
The Northwoods Lodge is a great place to stay. We have always had exceptional service, clean rooms, and the hot breakfast is back which is a plus! Convenient to downtown to walk anywhere. Would absolutely recommend staying here!
Well designed, comfortable room & excellent service throughout 2-night stay. For great food, check out Adventure restaurant down the street & find good coffee & pastries at the Chattering Squirrel Cafe a little further down.
The staff was very accommodating and delightful. The entire facility was clean and was taken good care. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had a wonderful experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area.
Entire staff is great. Hotel is very nice. Quiet and Clean. Breakfast consisted of eggs, sausage, potatoes, miscellaneous fruit, breakfast bars, yogurt, applesauce, juice, coffee, etc. I have stayed here several times and highly recommend this as a place to stay when in Siren Wisconsin.
Love the decor, quiet atmosphere, and friendly staff. Comfy beds and variety of hot and cold foods for breakfast. Gift shop was cute and hot tub was perfect in the evening! Will definitely stay here again!
Very clean and pretty. Rustic look. Helpful and Nice staff. Good breakfast selection. Overall a very good experience. The location was very good for us. Comfortable beds. Nice little gift shop. Has an elevator for second floor rooms.
The gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the team. The room and pool room was very clean. (Including towels and bedding) My stay was very relaxing! I will definitely return!
I stay in hotels for business and this has been by far the best hotel I've stayed in. The staff are incredible and helpful! Very clean and the breakfast is great! Will for sure be staying here again soon!
Was a pleasure staying with a nice pool and very large hot tub. Breakfast was satisfying and the staff was very professional as well as helpful. I would fully encourage anyone coming through to stay here.
Great Ambiance and friendly staff! The bonus of a nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna. We ended up staying an extra night because the hotel was so inviting. We look forward to visiting again in the near future
We had a great stay at the Best Western in Siren, WI. The staff was so amazing - they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at home. The rooms were clean - breakfast was fine. The pool area was very relaxing!
Everyone in this small town is so kind. THey were all so helpful when I had car issues. They all offered to make sure I was able to get to my destination the following morning, as well as checked on me throughout my stay. My stay at Best Western was great. The lodge was clean and they have the cutest lobby and dining area. The manager, Jenny, was very hospitable and checked on me several times. Definitely recommend staying here.
Stayed 2 nights during an ice fishing trip. This place is very clean and comfy. The staff was professional and always had smiles. The hotel doesn't stink of foul odors like most hotels. Definitely recommend this hotel if you are in the area.
The staff greated me and whenever I came out they are always helpful. I stay here regularly and everytime they somehow seem to do a better job than the last time i stayed. They have now brought back the hot breakfasts. It is a Great place to stay!
We stay here 1-2 times a year when visiting family. It is a lovely property with excellent employees. Check in was fast. Room was really spacious and clean. They have a good breakfast in the morning with a nice eating area. It has been modified since covid but I understand they are hopeful to getting back to the prior type of breakfast in the future. Always a great stay!
My wife and I decided to skip the sales and went hiking at Banning State Park (Minnesota). We then drove about an hour to the lovely town of Siren, Wisconsin and stayed at the Best Western Northwoods Lodge. It has the feel of being "Up North" with timber accents and mounted heads in the lobby area. The Santa hat on the moose was a fun touch. Staff was super friendly, room was very clean, and lots of water pressure in the shower (a must for this traveler). The free breakfast had egg sandwiches to heat in the microwave, hard boiled eggs, hot and cold cereal, along with pastries. The tables were six feet apart and felt safe. I will certainly return the next time my hiking adventures take me to west-central Wisconsin.
We couldn't find a single room on our way to Duluth from the twin cities, so we started looking for a slight detour into Wisconsin and found the Northwoods Lodge. We had a wonderful stay here!! The desk clerk was super quick and offered us towels for the pool right away and brought up a crib for our baby. The pool, hot tub and sauna were very clean and fun for both kids and grown ups! The building itself was very cozy and cabin like, and the room was also comfortable and clean. We are so happy we found this place and will definitely stay here again!
This was the most pleasurable place to stay. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, and the staff was exceptional. The "log cabin" feel was truly amazing. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. although,,,, don't take all the rooms,, save one for me :)
We chose the suite, to treat ourselves and absolutely loved it! the atmosphere in the hotel, and the room itself were the best ive had at a hotel in a long time. Clean, cozy, relaxing. 10/10 staying here again!
This Best Western is the prettiest Best Western we've ever been in. You have to like PINE and wildlife to really enjoy this facility. My husband and I had attended a memorial service for a dear friend and welcomed the peace and flavor of this establishment. My husband loved the Jimmy Dean breakfast croissant - and now we need to go shopping for more! Siren itself has lots of touristy shops plus some really good restaurants - and ice cream! My sister-in-law from Eau Claire is chomping at the bit to find an excuse to go to Siren area and stay!
The hotel was clean and smelled amazing from walking in the door. The breakfast was well stocked, fresh, and delicious. The pillows were very soft. The room was spacious. The microwave, TV, and fridge all worked.
My wife and I just stayed two nights at this property and were happy with everything. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast choices were quite good and plentiful. We would highly recommend this property.
The hotel was very beautifully decorated and comfortable. It felt like we were getting a big warm hug when we entered the lobby. The woodsy log cabin theme was done very well and it was warm and inviting right from the start. The staff were so pleasant and helpful during our entire 2 night stay. The room was spacious and beds were very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel!
Hotel is located in the central business area of Siren with lots of parking. The property has a very nice log-cabin decor theme. Our room was clean and wi-fi and television working well. Breakfast was the basic complementary offering, with a breakfast attendant keeping everything fresh. Front desk was very helpful with restaurant suggestions. I'd definitely stay here again.
I can't remember the last time we stayed at a Best Western since we normally stay at Hilton Properties. However, after this stay I need to reevaluate where I'm staying. This is a beautiful hotel, which reminds me of a lodge. The room is spacious with big wooden furniture, leather sofa and walls of wood that makes it look as if you're staying in a log cabin. Jenny at the front desk is great and got us a couple of extra pillows. We stayed in room 205 and it couldn't have been any nicer. The morning breakfast is a grab and go, but had everything I like so I'm a happy camper. Highly recommend!
Easy access right off the highway, plenty of parking, friendly, efficient, and Helpful staff all help make this Clean/comfortable lodge a great place to stay. This place has a great pool and large hot-tub, also has a nice outdoor lounge area surrounded by Lilacs which now in later Spring is fantastic.
I loved this place so much that I returned for a couple of days. I will return again and stay here. It's the best Best Western that I've ever stayed in. People were so nice and helpful. Also fairly close to a couple of casinos!
Have stayed here before and always enjoy it. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Have not had any issues while staying here. Bed was comfortable (for me) and the room was clean. WIll stay here again and again, love the town also, very friendly community
The room was very clean and comfortable. The front desk and room service were exceptional. You can easily walk to any restaurant in town. They have a very nice gas grill that the guests can use along with a dining area indoors if needed. It looks and feels like a true mountain lodge.
Excellent hospitality and extremely helpful in every way over the top kindness most enjoyable stay at a hotel I have had a very long time excellent people excellent locationDefinitely will be back to spend more time thank you for everything best western staff in siren Wisconsin
Friendly, clean, inviting, charming. When traveling for a night getaway up north we always choose our stay here. The pool is large along with a hot tub and sauna. Excellent staff that is personal and goes the extra mile
I stay here every few weeks as the staff is always friendly and curteous and have a hot tub and sauna to relax after completing paperwork. Friendly and Clean always looking for ways to try to help out.
This is a well run hotel. Consistently flawless. The building is absolutely beautiful, lobby has a comfy sitting area with fireplace. Lots of natural light coming in from wall-to-wall windows, log cabin interior, books in shelves, curio things here and there. I appreciate the quality beds and pillows in rooms.
Feeling a little house bound decided we needed to see a new set of 4 walls and outdoor scenery. Stayed here one night. Room well decorated with wild life art, the beds were very comfortable.slept well, Surprisingly quiet being right on the highway. Wow to the TV much larger then the one at home. Will be returning for more getting out of the house.
The staff went out of their way to make our stay fun, memorable, safe, and comfortable for us! Everything was also very clean and in good condition. Will definitely stay there again and highly recommend it to anyone!
We were in town for a hockey tournament and this hotel was perfect. We booked the fireplace/jacuzzi suite because of covid. The room was spacious, clean and nice. The bed was a little hard but that is just preference. Overall, our stay was awesome and plan on coming back in February.
My family stayed a weekend here early December. We were SO impressed with the cleanliness, friendliness of staff, and amenities. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were a hit. The breakfast area is very nice and (for those who are concerned with such things) the tables have been spaced out and all staff members were wearing masks. There are also hand sanitizing stations available. The managers were helpful and kind, and the small gift shop was a nice touch. We will DEFINITELY be staying here again!
We stay here every year, and it never disappoints. The whole place is very clean and the rooms are spacious. The Northwoods decor fits right in with the area. The customer service can't be beat here. I would recommend this for anyone planning to visit the area.
A++ service from start to finish. Cleanest place in town. Would recommend Best Western for a little R&R. Relaxing environment, beautiful decor, family friendly. There is a lovely fireplace, in the lounge, where you can sip a cup of coffee or enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Staff are friendly, social and customer oriented. Looking to stay again over the New Year.
This Northwoods Lodge was amazing from the awesome lobby and cleanliness of the entire facility. The staff were extremely helpful, professional and inviting as if I'd been a long time customer to the Lodge. With out a doubt, when I'm in this area for future visits, this will be the hotel I will first attempt to book a reservation.
I stayed in this facility July 14th with my 12 year old son and his friend, we have a 4-pound chihuahua, which I paid a $25 pet fee for, I checked my bank account on the 16th, mind you two days after we stayed, and noticed a $250 charge on top of the $131 I paid. I paid an extra $25 pet fee upfront. I called the hotel and the girl who answered said no one could help me or tell me why there is that charge on my account, I contacted Best Western and they advised me only the manager at the hotel can help, over 24 hours later I called back and was able to speak to someone who said let me call you back I think that's a mistake that it was someone else, she called back and said unfortunately we found a poop underneath the desk, and we are charging you a $250 cleanup fee. I was shocked that they had the authority to remove money out of my bank account two days after my stay, without any explanation, she later called me and said I think we'll give you a little bit of a refund on the 250$ so all of a sudden my alleged 4 pound Chihuahuas poop is only worth $100 not 250! I am very diligent checking the room after 12 year olds for lost electronics, toys, chargers etc, I'm a very responsible pet owner as well, we left the room in better condition than we found it basically. After I asked to review my stay with Best Western, I detailed my experience, and received a very rude and threatening email from the management, for my review. Sorry ma'am you can't control reviews, you may somehow have the authority to take money out of people's accounts but you cannot control the reviews!! I hope a pet owners take heed and make sure if you stay in the pet room #118 you take video upon leaving and walk through with management and have them somehow sign off!! Believe me I wish I would have!
We love this hotel every time me and my honey get a chance to get away we always stay at the Best Western in Siren Wisconsin. The entire staff is exceptional and Jerry the owner goes above and beyond for us every time we say.
When I go to Siren to visit family this is my hotel of choice. Great staff, clean rooms, and the breakfast is great. Much better than the standard continental breakfast. That was modified a bit due to the covid outbreak. They did offer a good selection of items from hot sandwiches, yogurt, cereal, pastries. All packaged to follow the current guidelines. It was the best offering from any of the hotels we stayed at on our drive both ways.
The Best Western Northwoods Lodge will not disappoint in any manner. Every single aspect of our stay was so perfect and so fun. Everyone is friendly. The place was superbly clean through and through. No issues at all. Beautiful lodge.
Will definitely stay here again. Due to the coronavirus, the hot breakfast could not be provided. They did provide a Grab n Go back up plan which included a microwavable breakfast sandwich. Also, daily room service was unavailable, but they offered extra linens as needed to accommodate for the inconvenience. All rooms were totally cleaned and sanitized following each guest. Owner, desk staff and cleaning staff made it a goal to ensure all guests were treated with respect and had what they needed to ensure a great stay.
This hotel is not somewhere that you want to stay the they will judge you by your appearance or your vehicle or some such thing. The front desk woman sent the cops to our room for absolutely no reason and when asked why she simply stated she had a feeling because of the safety of her other guests. We checked out we are legit and legal and the cops went on their way and the woman would not give out her manager's name so that I could report her absolutely ridiculous Behavior. She then tried to call our work to verify whether we were working in the town or not as if that is her business I believe she is a hotel person not a probation officer. Absolutely disappointed in this hotel
The staff go above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Very friendly and homey. The room was very clean and comfortable. I strongly recommend this motel. The furniture was made from pine wood. There is a microwave and refridgerator in the room.
Hotels are pretty normal for me as I stay in them for months before I go home, so I'd like to say I'm somewhat a “expert on hotels. If you use CLC for your company, don't travel use this place for a one night stay or more. After calling ahead to make sure they took CLC and the lady saying “yes we accept CLC”, we waited almost a hour as the new lady on the new shift tried to figure out how to do it. Eventually a high management person came and tried to sort it out for another 20 minutes, he let us go ahead and go to the room and they would figure it out, so we thought anyways. 2 hours later around 7:30pm we get calls saying they can't get it to work and said we can just use our own money and our company would reimburse us, yeah fat chance. So we packed up and decided we had enough, as we exited the hotel they told us we could stay for $50 per room but by then we were already committed to leaving and didn't want to have anymore hassle. Moral of the story?! Don't say you can do something if you can't. Won't be returning and will make sure we can keep clear of it. Sad.
You will not be disappointed. This is by far the best Best Western I have ever stayed at. Clean, cozy, all amenities, great breakfast and coffee. The pool and hot tub were peaceful and a nice addition.
The room was very nice, with all the amenities. The cleanliness was exceptional. Staff was helpful and nice. We really enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna area. The breakfast more than adequate. We highly recommend Northwooods Lodge. It was a great weekend get away
This place was so pleasing to the eye, everywhere you looked it was pleasing and home feeling. It felt comfortable, home like. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub. It was very clean and hospitable, cabin like feeling. Thank you Loretta
Great place to stay, Right from the owner on down through his staff. They are great people and try their very best to make all guest experiences the best and most comfortable stay possible. Wonderful location and easy to get to with a great decor. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting this area of Wisconsin.
Stayed at the Northwoods Lodge when we were in town for a girls' hockey tournament. Good location, less than a mile from the ice rink and there's a very good restaurant across the street. Nice layout for accommodating multiple teams, including a very large lobby area. Didn't use the pool but glad there was one there. Beds were very comfortable. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
I travel for work and spend many nights away from home. This place is my favorite! Spacious rooms, quiet, clean, nice pool area, and a fantasticbbreakfast. Friendly, accommodating staff. BEST IN THE AREA!
In some ways a typical Best Western hotel, this one is more attractive than many. The front desk people are friendly and very helpful. Rooms are clean and well appointed. Beds and linens are good quality and comfortable. A hot breakfast is included, better than many. Location is right at the intersection of Main Street and highway 70, but traffic isn't too loud inside. There's an excellent restaurant just across the street for dinner (Tesora). Two minor complaints: bath towels are thin and not soft, and the hotel doesn't seem to offer a steep discount for off-season travelers (November in lake resort country). Still, we'll go back.
Shower drain was backed up tight! Awful. Nice place if you don't use the shower. Breakfast was awesome. Spacious rooms, quiet. Newer facility. Too bad. I like the place but cannot get over the bad experience of the standing water shower backup.
After experiencing a devasting destruction of our home I was extremely fortunate to find this wonderful hotel with a fabulous staff. Everything I asked of the individual who answered my call was 10000% delivered. I was a mental wreck and every employee I encountered went to the max to ensure we were taken care of. Not only did we find a wonderful place to stay, we found FAMILY. We will go back many times if for nothing else to just give AND get hugs from family. Love to Jerry, Chris, Jenny,Jodie, Miranda, Faith, Mark, Josh, Brie, Megan and all the others. ❤️
Our home was damaged from a tornado in July and we spent 11 weeks at the Northwoods Lodge. Everyone was wonderful - made us feel like family. We enjoyed the breakfasts, popcorn in the afternoons, the hot tub and pool, and even had a few nights around a fire pit. Perfect!!!
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff is great, friendly and courteous. The rooms were very clean and the beds are very comfortable. The pool is warm and relaxing. This hotel goes above and beyond on their breakfast. So much to choose from. Will definitely stay again!
Unbelievable! A log cabin feel of a Mountain resort! Spotlessly clean from the outside to the inside, rooms are clean and roomy, relaxing lobby music with a "lodge feel" Fantastic free breakfast with a huge choice,(2 meats, fresh eggs, pastries, waffles, tater tots) very pleasant employees, I travel all over for business and honestly this Hotel is awesome, great value for the cost too! Thinking about coming here for the Christmas Holidays with my family to relax as they decorate it for the season. Great little gift shop with up north crafts, Stay here!! you won't be disappointed!
I have stayed here before and decided to stay a bit out of my way so that I could enjoy another wonderful stay. It is almost like coming home to stay here. The popcorn in the evening and fresh lemon water is always good.
My wife and I in the past years discovered BW and planned several trips in advance with a place to stay each night like a "Port of Call" on a cruise. Works great! If the itiniary changes the central reservation people will make adjsutments in either the date or location when necessary as long as there is sufficient advance notice. Being a retired commercial Trucker, I find it easy to plan with little surprises along the way where I could not stop at with an 18 wheeler. My wife loves it. 1.
My husband and I stayed here on August 16th. Very nice and clean room. Bed was very comfortable Thought it was newly built. Was surprised at how long ago it was built. The staff was very nice, also. If we are every in this area again, we will make sure we stay here.
Professional and courteous staff. Very good free breakfast each day. Rooms cleaned and organized very well. NO issues at all during my stay. Location was near local establishments , actually most within walking distance. Landscape very well maintained and lobby was very nice and relaxing.
The room was clean, but the decor was dated and the beds were awful. I have never got such a poor nights sleep at a hotel. All 3 of us felt this way. Also, when we arrived the air was not turned on in our room so it was muggy. It did cool down after a little while, but this made it difficult to get comfortable. The breakfast was average, and the pool area was small but decent. If the beds had been comfortable I would consider staying again if it was priced better, but definitely not how it is today. Stay at the lodge instead it is much nicer.
A Lovely hotel in rural Wisconsi, with fun, kitschy lodge decor. Staff was genuinely interested in making my stay enjoyable.I found it very clean and well maintained. Good food, warm pool, I will be back.
Staff very friendly and engaging with our family while we utilized the lobby area! Hotel was decorated very cute for the location, the lower rating and my only recommendation would be to carry the theme through to guest rooms. We would definitely go back!
Our family of 6 stayed for almost a week sharing two adjoining rooms. This was our 7th year in a row spending a week here. This hotel is the best in the entire NW Wisconsin region. The manager Jenny must live at this hotel because she is always there day and night greeting and helping guests continuously. Clean rooms, great service, nice breakfast, pool...what more can you ask for?
Our visit to the Northwoods Best Western was for my husband's class reunion. The room was comfortable, quiet, clean, a great price and with a great breakfast to boot! We highly recommend it for its great manager and terrific, helpful and friendly staff.
I was here to visit my sister rehabbing in a nearby town. The rate was good, and they treated me traveling alone, very well. Rooms are nice and spacious and clean. The breakfast was amazing -- two meats every day. It was a big breakfast with many offerings. It was hearty and welcoming. Newspapers to read, and ample seating. Just a very great way to start the day. The power was out during my stay, but they made it as palatable as possible. The emergency lighting made it safe, and it looked like they had snacks and cookies in the dining room for guests waiting out the storm until the power came back on. The system for the electronic keys was on another system, so getting into your room was not a problem - I'd worried about that, but that was very convenient. This is a great place to hang your hat when you've got to attend to life. Loved the microwave and fridge. Nice touches. And Jenny works her butt off - she does everything, and cheerfully replenishes all the breakfast food. I was a late comer to the breakfast one day, and you usually expect it to be picked over if you go toward the end, but no. It was plentiful and delicious, as always. There's something for everyone, and it's well set up. All in all, a great stay. The only improvement I could see would be an electronic door opener so you can be hands free when you're schlepping luggage through the doors.
As North woods, small town accommodations go this place isn't really bad nor is it really good. I'm more of an urban or beach traveler and I'm probably not the best person to rate this sort of property. It is "Up North" in it's appearance and packaging. The delivery is typical of this type of place and this kind of town "Well, that's good enough" No one ever goes for Great in places like this. On the plus side - there is plenty of parking. It's easy to find and they don't seem to mind if you are crock pot cooking in your room.
Loved the log cabin look and feel. The location was perfect for eating and shopping. Walking distance. We love the little to seating area out in the front where we sat in the evening on that beautiful night. We love the appearance the cleanliness in the little gift shop and the visitor center and all the details of the light fixtures the fireplace the furniture very well-articulated.
We stayed on a Saturday night in July so the price was a little high. The north woods decor was very nice. The room was clean and had a separate sink outside of the tub/toilet area. Breakfast had a nice variety of options. Would definitely stay again.
This hotel is wonderful. the location, the decor, the price, the people, all make the hotel what it is. i grew up just up the road, and this hotel has allowed me more than once the joy to stay where I call home.
I had a quick overnight here. The sheets were very soft, the beds were comfy, and the room was spacious. I was impressed that the TV remote was sanitized and bagged. The morning breakfast was standard, but plentiful. This is a non-smoking property. It is also a convenient location, at the intersection of 35 and 70, in Siren, WI The log design carries a northwoods feel throughout the decorating.
This is not our first stay here, and it won't be our last! Rooms were clean, breakfast was hot and replenished quickly, even though there were a lot of people partaking. The pool are was clean and quiet, huge hot tub, too. We love the décor - very Northwoods and calming. Beds AND pillows are incredibly soft, which was our only drawback - but it won't prevent a future trip...we will just bring our own pillows!
We stayed at this hotel over the weekend for a family wedding and it was ‘top-notch'! You can tell that the owners and employees take great pride in their business; spacious and clean rooms, beautiful flower beds, large rustic lobby for gathering, clean pool and hot tub, complimentary flavored water, and an excellent breakfast The entire place was immaculate! Thank you BWNL!!
We enjoyed ourselves! We stayed with our pet also! Enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna! Breakfast was wonderful! The look of the place was pretty cool, kind of like a log cabin. It was kept clean. highly recommend!
Best Western in Siren, WI has a courteous staff more than willing to assist you with their needs. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was exceptional with a wide variety of selection. I highly recommend this hotel if traveling in the area.
If you are in Northwest Wisconsin, Best Western Nothwoods Lodge at Siren is the best place to stay over night. Rooms are clean, swimming pool area is well maintained, breakfast is great, and the staff is very cordial and helpful. Highly recommended for all age groups.
My husband and I stayed at the Best Western Northwoods Lodge from Sunday night to Friday morning this week. We were here for the tragic loss of our nephew in the line of duty. We found great comfort and amazing accommodations here at the lodge. When you walk in exhausted you walk into the sweet smell of fragrance in the air and soft music and fresh cookies. The lodge has ambiance and the decor is very warm and appealing. The staff and manager Jenny is very friendly, the room cleaning is excellent and the owner (I didn't know he was mgr!) was incredibly friendly and pleasant. Our room was clean and comfortable, the whirlpool was so comforting, and the breakfast food was varied and tasty. They kept it very well-maintained each morning. Of all the places around I can assure you this is by far the best! Thank you manager Jenny and owner Jerry for a wonderful stay and God bless you.
This is by far one of the warmest, coziest, friendliest hotels I have ever stayed at. Staff is very friendly, ready to address concerns if any should arise(I never experienced any problems), breakfast went beyond expectations with so many varieties of food to choose from. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean. Definitely will stay again!
We are really pleased with our stay. Jody was an amazing person to work with. Very friendly and handled our requests very promptly. The breakfast was great. We would definitely stay here again. Great price and very clean hotel.
Northwoods Lodge is a well maintained and attractive hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and readily available. The pool area clean and well maintained. The free breakfast could be better as it wasn't very hot. Overall a good value for the money.
Very clean room, fireplace was nice and relaxing, comfortable bed and plenty of room. We also chose a room with a whirlpool which worked well and was clean. The orientation of the room allowed us to relax in the whirlpool and watch tv at the same time which was really nice !!
This hotel was great for our hockey team to stay at while playing at a local tournament. The room was nice, the pool/hot tub were great, and the continental breakfast was excellent. It was less than a mile to hockey rink and made for a fun and easy trip.
My husband and I spent a week at the lodge this month and stayed in a King room, the room is large but cozy, the bed is firm and they give you plenty of pillows, there is a Keurig in the room, breakfast has a lot of variety but the best part is the people who work there! Jenny, Manager, greets you with a smile and a warm welcome while she is juggling other guests and a phone that never stops ringing, Gerry, owner, has a smile that makes you feel like you're home and Jodi knows every guest by name and there isn't anything she wouldn't do for you! The hot tub and swimming pool were welcome sites after we returned from our ATV rides and parking for out truck and trailer was plenty and well lit. We will definitely be back!!!!!
This was one of the best hotels I've stayed out in a long time. Superior customer service. Great decor. Rooms larger than average and very comfortable and clean. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Made my business travel very enjoyable!
We stayed in the King Suite and had a roll away bed for our disabled teen son. The staff and amenities were great; particularly the hot tub on a cold evening. We'll definitely stay at the Northwoods Lodge whenever we visit Wisconsin.
Very nice and helpful staff, spacious rooms, clean and up to date incl. USB charging points and USB alarm clock. Nice lodge style. The only thing that was a downside was the breakfast. Paper cups, paper plates, plastic knives, no fresh food, just packed and wrapped stuff. If that would be better I‘d go for 5 points.
Our family of four (8 year old and 7 month old kids) had a wonderful three night stay. Our room was clean, quiet and had plenty of space. The wood cabin decor was charming. The complimentary breakfast was just right and had lots of options. My son loved the pool and hot tub. The staff were all very kind and helpful. We are unlikely to be back up to this part of the country any time soon but would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great vacation!
Very nice hotel. Better than most of the Best Westerns we have stayed at. Only fault I found was construction items-ie: wallpaper in bathroom was starting to look bad with rippling and the granite counter top messed up the wall and they didn't fix it. Attention to detail items that should be corrected, especially in a newer hotel. The room was clean and passed my usual sheet and bug inspections. keurig in the room is a plus. Front desk help was great. Breakfast was excellent-real eggs. Cute gift shop and lounge area. We really liked our stay there. They recommended a place to eat up the road that was also good called Adventures.
Very disappointed! I booked a room for my son and daughter-in-law and kids for 2 nights. They stayed 1 night and the next morning they had to take their daughter to the Grantsburg ER for complications due to diabetes, Gransburg was unable to bring her blood sugar down so she was transported by ambulance to Children's hospital my son came and picked up their belongings at 9:00 pm. while my daughter-in-law went by ambulance to Children's. We asked if Best Western would give a discount because of the circumstances, Jenny the manager said several times she was so sorry but could do nothing. I asked who I could talk to because she commented they wouldn't let her do anything she said she was the only one I could talk to. Very disappointed they could have offered a discount or a future discount but nothing only “How sorry Jenny was”. I guess Jenny has never had anything happen like this with her family. Hopefully if it does everyone will be so sorry! Thanks Jenny you will go far as a manager! Best Western this is not a way to get repeat business I will definitely let everyone know my experience!
Quick getaway to Siren. Nice hotel on the main drag. Lobby is beautiful - log cabin-esque. Love the background music and the little shop to get your Northwood wares. The staff was good...a few hiccups but nothing that didn't remedy itself. Pool area was nice - hot tub is huge! I liked that the pool isn't really "deep" in the deep end - my kids could play catch through the entire pool. Breakfast was hot and ready. A second waffle machine would go far to ease any "lines". Overall - it is what I expect from a Best Western...clean, convenient, priced right, and a hot, free breakfast.
Very Clean and quiet property. Log Cabin feel and great customer service by all staff we met. Very convenient location in Siren, Wisconsin. The owners also have an terrific upscale restaurant across the street from the hotel.
The Northwoods Lodge Best Western is a tradition for us. We stay there one night on the way to go Scuba Diving in Northern Michigan. We do the trip 4-6 times a season and stay at Northwoods every trip. The Log Cabin decor and nice hot breakfast of the lodge are very warm and welcoming. Rooms are spotlessly clean and modern with the log cabin decor. Very nice. We love it.
Great experience, alittle over priced Nice clean room and very quiet. Excellent breakfast, friendly staff Beautiful decor, easy access, handicap accesible. room was nice. Great selection for breakfast.
Very clean and staff are really friendly. We have been there a few times this month. My family loves it because of the sauna. It's alittle overpriced I think being we go on weekdays. Overall though a nice hotel
Yes, that actually happened on my last stay at this motel. It snowed about 5" overnight and the owner/manager saw me having breakfast and offered to clean the snow off my vehicle! The motel is always in very good shape. The pool and hot tub are very nice, especially during a cold WI winter. And they are doing constant little upgrades to the facility, such as new furniture in guest rooms and decorations in the lobby/breakfast area. It is clear that they take pride in their motel and enjoy making travelers comforitable.
We just used the hotel for an overnight stay with our granddaughters since our nearby lake home was being remodeled. We were very pleased with the quality of the hotel and the amenities. The pool was fun for our granddaughters and the breakfast eas very adequate . I would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant stay in the very nice village of Siren.
We drove 500 miles overnight and got here at noon. We were able to check-in right away since we had a meeting at 1:30 to prepare for. The room was nice and clean. The only thing we complained about, to ourselves, had to do with breakfast. The food was delicious, but the biscuits were dried and hard. Don't leave them in a warmer for hours on end. Pool area was clean although we didn't use it. I would recommend this hotel for anyone needing a place to stay.
We stayed for one night and found the room to be spacious and comfortable. The entire building is decorated in an outdoors Northwood theme. Everything in our room was clean and in good condition. Front desk staff was friendly and efficient, quick with a smile and very personable. The breakfast was lacking in quality and variety. Overall we would stay here again if we were in the area, but would have breakfast elsewhere.
I don't know if I have ever stayed at a quieter hotel. I never once heard people talking in the hallways, noise from adjacent rooms or anything. The hotel is quite lovely, the lobby is beautiful and there is a great restaurant right across the street. Downtown is within walking distance with lots of things to see and do. I have stayed here before and am always
Large rooms with some log siding in rooms and hallways. Clean carpets in rooms and hallways. Internet worked well and pool and spa temps were ideal. Lobby and rooms have Northwoods Wildlife or paintings. Breakfast sauage and cheese slices a plus in addition to tiresome waffles and sauage-garvy, but sugar-free syrup a plus. Staff helpful with first floor rooms and late checkout. Room prep was nice
I stayed for two nights while I was up that way bowhunting. If I did not have a discount for the rooms, I probably would not have stayed. The pool area needs a major overhaul, and the rooms need more amenities to justify the exorbitant cost to stay there.
From the friendly greeting on arrival to the daily personal attention business travel bordered on a home away feel. Cleanliness, tasteful interior design, ability to have my dog for company truly made for an energy I could draw on when work presented its challenges.
The lodge itself is quite nice. Nothing like a massive log building to warm up the bones. Room was nice, but the bed was way too soft. TV channel selection was only so-so. Breakfast was not much to write about.
My wife and I stayed at this hotel for a weekend away. We enjoyed our stay. We especially the closeness to several wild life areas in Northern Wisconsin. The staff was personable and friendly. I have not complaints about our stay. I would consider staying at this hotel again
This was a Fall trip to take advantage of the changing colours and to 'cross ' the new bridges. Mission Accomplished ! I really don't have anything more to say to fill up 200 spaces ! Now is the time for all good citizens to step up and KEEP our country great.
Clean, quiet, GREAT breakfasts! Have been to this Best western in years past and will continue to visit this locale. Warm and wonderful place with great staff and amenities. Cute gift shop too! Close to great natural locations. A marvelous dairy with great ice cream in Burnett County I believe.
This hotel is centrally located at Hwys 70 and 35 inn Siren. It is very clean, secure, and well maintained. There are many points of interest in the area. Recommend taking the driving tours of Burnett County
We were very pleased with with our stay at the hotel. It is a non-smoking hotel. Their breakfast was terrific. Even though they were completely booked, we were given the opportunity to stay in the overflow room. It was terrific. We were moved to a regular room the next day. Next time we are in the area we will be staying here.
The hotel was very nice and people were very friendly. The breakfast was wonderful as usual.I thought laundry prices were a bit high at $2.00 each for washer and dryer. The lobby was was probably nicest lobby of any Best Western that I have stayed in. Highly recommend!
We stayed almost 2 months at Northwoods Lodge 10/2016-11/2016 while working in the area and totally enjoyed everything about the lodge! From the big spacious rooms that are decorated authentic log cabin, to the incredible breakfast where even the Manager cooks cinnamon rolls, to the friendly, accomodating staff and the special customer buffet nights! Plenty of parking for our ATVs/trailer and close to everything! Going back this year just to spend time with the Manager and staff for RR!
Check in was good. The price was initially incorrect, but the staff remedied that immediately. The price of the hotel was reasonable. Breakfast was nice with a wide variety of waffle toppings. The staff was friendly.
Great Breakfast in the morning, everything was fresh and hot. The indoor pool water was like bath water, no shock to get into. The whirlpool was large and comfortable. We had our dog with us and we are pretty sure he enjoyed his stay too.
It was a very comfortable stay - quiet surroundings, beds were great and breakfast had lots of selections - just right! Location is close to amenities and the Gandy Dancer bike trail. I will definitely stay there again when I return for more biking!
When I booked my reservation four months in advance, I was told the "apartment" room was the only one available. While it was spacious and had a full kitchen, The bedroom window opened to the pool. You hear everything from 9am-11pm. Can't blame the people having fun in the pool, but it sure makes sleeping a challenge! Customer service was good and the hotel has some nice features but the noise and cost were big negatives. My bill was almost $500 for two nights with taxes.
It is always a pleasure to stay here. It is immaculately clean inside and out, the staff is friendly, it is quiet, and the breakfast buffet is very good. Our king bed was very comfortable and getting wifi was a snap. We had a great stay.
we have stayed at this hotel in conjunction with visiting family in the area over the last 10 years. we have never had any problems with the staff or the hotel. staff are helpful and nice. rooms have always been clean. breakfast choices have gone up and down but overall it has been satisfying.
A staff member getting the Continental prepared and burnt the bacon. This set off the hotel's fire alarm at 4:45 in the morning. When I address the issue with the hotel manager and asked for a discount for the disrupted sleep, that it's their policy not to give discounts for a Fire Alarm functioning properly regardless of the time of the day it goes off. He claimed that he was the owner of the Northwoods Lodge and that he only pays for a membership to carry the Best Western name. So I asked him if the "policy" of no discounts was his or Best Westerns and he said that it was his.
Was very happy with my stay at this Best Western and will definitely come again ! The room was great and the interior and exterior of the lodge was beautiful. The staff were extremely courteous and respectful.
A friend and I stayed over a weekend. The staff was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool and hot tub were great. The location was convenient to walk to food and beverage establishments. It has a wonderful North woods feel. Would recommend to anyone visiting the Siren area.
We arrived early, but were pleasantly surprised to be able to get into our room three hours earlier than expected. Then we were able to find a great place in town to eat lunch, thanks to the lady who was at the front desk. Our room was large, very clean, and had a rustic charm. The beds were super comfortable; I generally don't sleep well in hotels, but I slept so soundly and woke up completely refreshed! I will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Siren!
We just stayed again at the Northwoods Lodge. It is still great. We have tried two other motels in the Siren/Grantsburg area, and this is clearly the best. It has a large, indoor pool and offers guests free access to Anytime Fitness, which is about a mile down the road. The hot breakfast is excellent, the beds are good, and the rooms are clean.
The room was clean and comfortable. As well, the temperature was great since it was so hot and humid outside. The staff has a great attitude in dealing with any possible issues. Breakfast area was a good size and the variety of hot and cold foods was fabulous.
Arrived in Siren, WI amid a tornado watch for SE corner of Burnett County. I was driving on state highway 70 from Spooner and encountered a heavy downpour near Hertel about 20 miles east of Siren. This was the end of a 425 mile trip from Chicago so I was rather tired when I reached the Northwoods Lodge. Check -in was quick and my room was conveniently located near the door to the back parking lot. Room was away from the highway and very quiet. The bed was comfortable and temperature was just right for a good nights sleep. Complimentary breakfast was hot and tasty with quick check out by leaving room keys at the front desk.
We have stayed at the Northwoods many times... And we always come back when in the Frederic/Siren area. I like your Handicapped room... The shower is great... Helps me and my husband. We both need the handicapped room for the bathroom, the shower and rails...My husband loves the popcorn offered when we check in.....
My Husband and I stayed here one night while visiting family at a lake near by. Super clean, large room, EXTREMELY comfortable bed and pleasant staff at front desk. We will stay here again for sure. There was a decent continental breakfast included, Keurig Coffee Maker in the room etc. We hardly heard anyone else when we were in our room and there were a lot of cars in the parking lot. Wifi worked fine. Price was a bit higher then you would expect for the area but I think it is justified for the quality of the stay. There is a pool but we checked in a bit later and just wanted to relax in our room so we did not visit. I would highly recommend this Best Western.
Staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. Front desk made sure we used discounts (AARP) and registered with our BW card. Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was good and well stocked. The layout of the hotel contributed to the quietness of the hallways. We didn't use the pool/hot tub area, so I can't comment on that, but desk personnel said all was functioning. I appreciate that because, many times at other places, the hot tub isn't working, pool is closed for cleaning, etc.
Stayed here with family one night. Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Asked person at front desk for recommendations as to what to do in the area and was told "there really isn't anything here." I found that sad because the area has a lot to offer including some great parks and lakes to visit. That all said the bed was comfortable and the rooms were clean. Breakfast was scant at 7:45. Not sure if a big group had just come through or they didn't expect many guests. All in all, enjoyed Siren as a town and appreciated the cleanliness and comfort of bed. Service could be improved with some slight adjustments.
The building is beautiful and very tasteful. the staff is great and helpful and I totally enjoyed my time there. Even when there were ball teams staying there it never was loud or out of control. Breakfast was always good and they gave great directions oh how to find something I was looking for.
This Best Western was a beautiful place to stay in this small town. The staff that greeted us were very helpful and friendly. It was very quiet and breakfast was bountiful. If ever in the area again, I would defiantly stay there again.
I love the décor both outside and inside as it is warm and welcoming to the guest. The rooms are a fantastic size especially if you need to put in a roll away bed and still giving everyone plenty of room.
Room was not clean for taking 45 minutes.. only 1 housekeepers on a Holiday weekend. Found beer bottle caps and sunflower seeds all over the floor. Old coffee in coffee maker. Blow dryer did not work. Breakfast was good.. swimming was good other then someone stole my daughters life jacket. Paid too much for a suite that wasn't too special!
The hotel has a nice appearance, clean rooms and friendly staff. If you don't want to hear children overhead, ask for an upper level room. The beds are comfortable and rooms are spacious. Lacked small touches like lotion, makeup remover cloth and conditioner (did have "conditioning shampoo) and extra outlets near the night stand.
The rooms offer plenty of space and quality bedding while feeling nice and cozy. The staff was welcoming and accommodating to my needs. Since I had an early departure prior to their breakfast buffet being available they prepared a Grab 'N Go bag for me that included yogurt, fruit and a protein bar. Very nice place and super helpful staff!
Motel is nice, Staff is excellent. Interior is a little aged, fireplace and heat/ cool unit had to be "tweaked" a bit but worked fine. Breakfast as ok, on par with other Motels, more choices would be a plus. Our go to place in Siren.
Great place, bed's are comfy! Breakfast was awesome! The girls loved it! We loved the hot tub, but the pool was dirty. We still ha lots of fun! The Pheasant Inn was an awesome place to eat and drink! The Por House had great food n awesome DJ!!!
Beautiful place... will return here for fun next time. Love the log look of the place and the furniture and decor was very north woods. It was lovely and rustic. Decent breakfast. Well maintained. The staff was great. Super friendly and helpful. Only an overnight stay but I'm sure we will stay again.
It was great to find such a wonderful hotel in small town area! The log walls and construction add to the wonderful atmosphere and the staff will go out of their way to please you! The breakfast was good and the free cookies when checking in were REALLY nice!
Everyone at this hotel goes out of their way to make their customers stay comfortable and welcoming. For example, they add different items to the breakfast buffet to add variety and to find new "favorite".
We have come to this hotel for years because of their warm pool and hot tub. When the kids were young we would pay to just use the pool, even when we didn't stay there. Now we enjoy the whole package. Always kind people working there.
The hotel is very inviting. The decor fits the northwoods location. The rooms were large and nicely furnished. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast area is nicely decorated. I would recommend this to anyone wishing to stay in the area.
Stayed here unexpectedly in July 2016. Power had gone out in neighboring towns due to a storm. My partner requires a powered C-PAP and we needed to find a place to plug in for the evening. We arrived around 10:30 p.m. and were greeted by the night receptionist. We initially were going to be charged rack rate but we explained our medical need and the bind we were in. She gave us the room for a reasonable rate and we made our way to our first floor room. The room was clean and had two beds, it had a separate sink and fridge in the entryway with shower amenities. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Beds and pillows were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was good but the coffee cups were small--I'm a big fan of larger cups! We were greeted upon checkout with yet another smile and wishes for a great day! For an "emergency" stay, this fit the bill! Thank you Best Western Siren for a pleasant evening stay. Will definitely recommend to friends & family who visit the area!
Excellent place to stay, beautiful courteous employees. The continental breakfast had an excellent variety of items. The lounge was beautiful. There were 5 of us and we felt very welcomed. There was ample parking and some great places located near by to enjoy good meals.
Wonderful hotel. Very clean. Grounds were lovely. The staff was delightful. Loved our stay. Nice pool and sauna indoors. Breakfast was very good. A nice assortment of breakfast items, fruits, different kinds of oatmeal and a hot breakfast also.
This is a great hotel in WI. Everything from accommodations to service is fabulous. I recommend highly. good breakfast; good service; goes out of way to help every guest; all facilities clean and welcoming
Pros: LOVED the décor. The staff was friendly, the place was clean. The breakfast was ok, normal fluffy eggs, the ham & coffee good Cons: Close the door from the registration desk to the back room, as it makes a messy impression. Had some confusion when we tried to extend our visit, so we didn't stay. We stayed in the king Jacuzzi suite. Arranged a bit ackward with the refrigerator under the bathroom sink, but it worked.
This was a beautiful facility inside and out. Manager and staff could not have been more accommodating. we enjoyed a complimentary dinner on the patio which they had prepared in appreciation of their gusts. We have never seen this before. Awesome stay.
Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in this area. Could find nothing to complain about everything was as good or better than any place we have stayed. We have stayed here many times
The Northwoods Lodge was a pleasant surprise, many hotels in the area were booked for an event so this was recommended via a search. It is easy to find, right off the main highway. The room was large, the bed comfortable and was quiet. I would stay here again.
Siren, WI isn't a usual destination for me. While I have driven through Siren from my hometown in Northern Wisconsin to Mora, MN several times in the past decade, never found it necessary to stop there. Wisconsin Highway 70 has been upgraded and improved recently. Minnesota has also made upgrades to their state highway 70 that connects at the St. Croix River which separated the two states north of where the St. Croix flows into the Mississippi "River. It is a very scenic drive between Spooner, WI and where it ends at the intersection of Minnesota Highway 65 about 6 miles south of Mora. I had driven over ten hours from Illinois and needed a place to stay that would give me a drive of less than an hour to reach Mora on the following day. I look for my room to be clean, quiet, and bed comfortable to keep me happy. I found all three to meet expectations. After a long days drive I was able to settle in and relax. A hot breakfast in the morning hit the spot and check out was a breeze. Before I left, I mentioned the only problem in the room so the maintenance person could inspect and fix. I would feel comfortable in recommending this hotel to any of my family and friends.
We camped all week and decided we needed a soft bed and hot shower. This hotel was on our way home and was above and beyond "hotel expectations". Friendly staff, clean rooms, amazing pool area with hot tub, sauna, and top notch breakfast on the morning. If we're ever I the area again, this will definitely be our #1 pick! It is close to numerous restaurants, yet decorated so nicely you feel you're in a quiet north woods lodge. Thank you for your hospitality!
I was impressed with everything about this hotel. The exterior is wonderful looking. The rooms are very nice, and the beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast was not as good as other Best Westerns, but had a good variety, and was average.
Real Northwoods Wisconsin charm....both the facility and theowner and staff. I can highly recommend this place for either business or recreational travel. After a long day, the pool and hot tub are first rate. And there is an excellent breakfast to start you off on the following day.
Staff were uniformly helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious. As an inveterate reader, I would plead for better lighting. Breakfast spread was more than adequate. Hot tub/pool users in our group were happy. AND they have a popcorn machine (free) in the lobby. Oh, one more thing: a plea for better cushions on the lobby chairs. The lobby, btw, is a wonderful place to sit and 'visit' - a favorite midwestern activity.
We were up in the area to spend time with another family at one of the lake resorts so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. However, the hotel was very nice. Great northwoods theme hotel, Rooms were nice, clean, and quiet. We had a refrigerator which was nice as well. We did not use the pool area but it looked very nice as well. We would definitely stay here again.
Our stay was to attend a Memorial Service for a family member in nearby Webster. The hotel clerks were very nice and helpful; the breakfast and dining area was very nice but there was a annoying water leak problem in our bathroom that showed up during the final 24 hours that was reported but not resolved prior to checking out the following morning. That put a 'damper' on our stay. Overall the fair room rate and hotel desk staff make it a stay worth recommending.
I typically don't stay at a Best Western because they are not consistently nice. I have had some good and bad experiences with them. This hotel was absolutely a pure delight! The whole experience from the time you pull into the parking lot until you leave is just perfect. Nice staff, beautiful property, nice big rooms. Just a real delight. I would absolutely stay here again.
If you want small town charm, with a staff you treat you like you really are welcome, this is a awesome place to stay. Nice places to eat, from bars with burgers to a DQ to a top end white linen restaurant. It has some nice parks to take picnics at, and when you have a small dog like we did, you didn't have to worry about where to go to let him join you. Breakfast was very nice.
Was attending a two-day field trip at Crex Meadows. The location isn't the greatest for that (a bit over 15 miles away). Facility and service were excellent. Asked for an early breakfast; got the complete service at 5:10!
I really enjoy staying at this hotel. The staff is great! Very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They serve a good breakfast to start the day. It's served in their lobby which is very clean and relaxing. It makes you feel like you're sitting in a log cabin.
Stayed for a wedding across the street. Hotel staff was friendly, rooms were clean and breakfast was quite good. We rented about ten rooms total. The check-in staff were quick and helpful. We would return there again.
Staff service was great from beginning to the end. My trip was sort of a sudden trip for a family funeral in the area we stayed at .If I had to plan another trip to this area I would most likely stay here again. I enjoyed the lay out friendly staff and decore of the inn
Stayed at the Northwoods hotel for business. They are always friendly there. Clean, updated rooms. Feels like home. I like the variety of the breakfast items that they offer. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling in the area. It has a rustic feel with the log walls and décor. I look forward to each visit to this area.
My family and I love this hotel. There is always a friendly staff, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Good breakfast selection and clean pool and whirlpool. We will continue to stay here when a hotel room is needed for vacation!
Great place, caring staff, great breakfast. Easy to park with a small trailer. Well maintained Hotel. Walked across the street for a great diner after I asked for some recommendations. I would go out of my way to stay here again.
Cozy, clean, tasteful, restful, very comfortable stay. Lodge feel, friendly front desk staff. No complaints, we would definitely stay here again. We didn't try the breakfast. Tesora restaurant across the street was excellent. There are several bars within walking distance.
We called ahead and were able to get an early check in which worked out wonderful for our family. The decor and fireplaces in the common areas were very cozy on a freezing January weekend. Pool was chilly, hot tub was nice. We had wished that we would have brought some pool toys for our 4 year old. Sauna was not in working order. Our room was very nice, nice view. Continental breakfast was good. Friendly staff. We would return to this hotel in the future.
I have stayed here before and always am glad of my choice. The location is right on the main highway and there are restaurants and entertainment everywhere. Probably 5 places to eat within a three block area. The breakfast was hot and the biscuits and gravy were very good. To also find eggs, sausage and ham was an added bonus. Helpful friendly staff, super quiet room and very comfortable bed. Highly recommended!
Just the greatest place to stay, relax and enjoy. Staff was kind, considerate and very helpful with our being unformiler to the area. Pool, the greatest. Breakfast was hot and very good. Choices varied with good taste and hot. Coffee anytime.
We first stayed here due to close proximity to a funeral we needed to attend. We were busy with the funeral so we didn't get much chance to check out Siren or the hotel pool or anything so we decided to come back a couple weeks later and stayed again over a long weekend. The hotel seems clean and has nice rooms. The beds were decent though the bedding didn't quite fit either bed and kept pulling off (the mattress was too big for the sheets they are using). The bathroom was functional and a good size. The pool area was good and had a hot tub as well. They did not have enough towels out though, so people had to keep going to the front desk to ask for more. The front desk people seemed annoyed with this, and were getting a little short with people when asking for pool towels. Similar experience with our room - we are a family of 4 but only had 3 towels and a partial roll of toilet paper. I went to the desk to get more TP and another towel and they seemed miffed that I asked for these things and took down my room number. I wondered if they were going to charge extra for the TP but they didn't upon checking my bill at check-out. Seems like management must be pushing the staff to not give out too many amenities to save costs. The breakfast area is very nice with lots of room. The food was the typical low quality cheap stuff you normally find at this type of hotel. Also, they would run out of hot food part way through the breakfast time and then put out packaged pastries instead of making more hot food. They did have a waffle maker too. There is ample parking and the hotel is in walking distance to restaurants and shopping. Overall it is a nice place and clean so I'll give 4 stars on this one. Thanks for reading.
Our stay at the Siren Best Western was a very good stay. Jenny helped us get rooms at the Siren Best Western after we had reserved rooms at a different Best Western. We were able to stay with the rest of the family and celebrate the wedding with the family without having to travel several miles to the other Best Western. It was great to visit with family in the gathering space at the breakfast area, knowing that we were able to stay in Siren. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the in-house internet system allowed me to check on my football scores.
Best Western wisely called this a Northwoods Lodge. From the exterior facade, to the covered walkway into property, to the cozy feeling of the lobby and dining area up front, the warm wood and stone accents exudes charm befitting this region of Wisconsin. A buddy and I came up from Chicagoland for some bird photography at the nearby Crex Meadows refuge and chose BW based on the high marks here. Check in was a breeze. The hotel is conveniently located as you enter Siren on highway 70 and 2nd ave. It has two floors and I opted for the top deck to ensure no noise from above. The property does have an elevator. The room--a standard king--was spacious with the bathroom area behind a door. A nice dial-operated heat lamp/fan is a welcome additional to the bath area. Bedding is quite comfortable with plenty of pillows. Furniture is somewhat dated but in good condition. Wifi is included in the tariff. So is the breakfast which features a do-it-yourself waffle station, scrambled eggs, assorted cooked breakfast meat and a good selection of pastry and cereals. The property is clean and quiet, and the staff was friendly. Not sure what else I could want at this price point. Great value!
I was at this location due to it being available for an estimated week long stay for work reasons. My reason for being there for work was not going to be pleasant. I had met almost every employee during my stay. EVERY EMPLOYEE was very friendly and did an excellent job to insure my stay was awesome. The front desk had noticed I had a few early wake up calls and made sure the breakfast was started early so I could eat breakfast. They really know how to take care of a customer at this location in Siren, Wisconsin. It is one of my best stays ever at a motel.
Rooms were exceptionally clean and well kept. The Staff was very helpful and pleasant. We had a great breakfast. Pool and hot tub and sauna were very nice, clean and very relaxing.. The location was fantastic close to all shopping and restaurants. Check in was hassle free. We very much enjoyed our stay here.
The motel was beautifully decorated and the staff was very helpful! I would recommend making reservations well in advance as we were very lucky they had a cancellation otherwise we would not of had the pleasure of staying here.
Beautiful hotel inside and out! Decorations outside included beautiful mums, pumpkins, gourds, hay bales with scarecrows, and other figures. Log cabin appeal outside and in the rooms. Beautiful fireplace in the lobby. Loved the free apples, locally grown, given to us at check in!
Hotel was very nice. Clean, friendly staff, comfortable rooms. The pool and hot tub were very large and clean. Sauna looked nice too. We stayed in a pet-friendly room which we expected to be a little more dingy than most. You never would have known that pets have stayed there at all. Very close to nice places to eat and shop. Beautiful hotel inside and out. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel. Would definitely return.
We have stayed in this hotel before. It is a lovely hotel with a good room rate. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant across the street has excellent food. We will stay there whenever we are in that area.
Have stayed at this Best Western in the past and have always had a good experience. Property is clean and well maintained, rooms have plenty of space and beds are very comfortable. Lobby and breakfast area is very nice with a Northwoods theme and pool is maintained nicely. Breakfast items are just ok, an upgraded selection would be a plus.
We've become quite loyal Best Western customers lately, because they never disappoint. The pillows were great - we slept well due to how comfortable and quiet the hotel was. The pool was nice - perfect temperature, and room was spacious and attractive.
What a nice clean pleasant surprise. Fast check-in with a real nice counterperson. . My request was honored. No un pleasant orders nothing but fresh and clean. Not at all worn out or anything else. It's much nicer than the Crooked Lake Lodge down the street where we have stayed at for years. Can't say enough nice things about the Best Western.
