« excellent location and reasonable price hotel »

i saw this hotel 30 years ago. and until now this hotel is one of landmark of mapo area. so excellent location and yesterday i checked in this hotel. price was reasonable price also. near from yeouido island famous for financial center of korea.

« Great Hotel Good Breakfast Selection »

The room is clean and good. Breakfast variety is good. Phone charger is available. And wifi is good. Staff are helpful and service is good. Didn't venture much outside as we are taking tour package. So can't comment on the location.

    « Normal Hotel »

Normal room as with most hotel. Location far from central Seoul, only have a few restaurant and shops beside the hotel. Not recommended for family or tourist. There is a famous fried chicken franchise behind and McDonald opp the hotel.Hotel services was good thou

    « Warm Room »

Need some getting used to staying in this hotel. There are no mirrors in the bathroom as the sink & mirror are located outside. The temperature is centrally controlled & the room can get pretty warm. Fortunately, we can open the window a little to let in some cool air. The hotel may want to look at allowing individual guests to set their desired room temperature for a more comfortable stay. Breakfast could do with more variety on different days. Overall, the room is clean with good Wi-Fi & updated power sockets ( you don't need a travel adapter) for business travels.

    « Excellent Value »

This is an excellent hotel for the price in Seoul. I don't think you can find a nicer hotel for the same price. The workers are very polite and is similar to any of the high end 5 star hotels in Seoul. The rooms were recently upgraded so you get all the latest features like a bidet, USB, HDMI ports, new LG TV. Lights, do not disturb are on a control next to your bed. The toilet and tub/shower have a separate door from the sink which is a plus. There is plenty of counter space & shelves in the bathroom. The closet is pretty big. We were able to store 3 large suit cases. The mattress could be firmer and there was some noise but overall, I don't think you can beat this place. Finally, you are 5 minutes away from 2 subway stations. The Gongdeuk station has multiple subway lines to get you to a bunch of major areas in Seoul. The airport bus drops you off right across the street from the hotel.

« This is NOT your average Best western »

We stayed here for 5 days, while doing business in Seoul. Location was good, and pricing was equally impressive. The service, cleanliness, staffing, room size, and location were well above par. I mentioned to our host that they need to remove the Best Western moniker so as to give this hotel the respect it deserves. Morning breakfast buffet was extremely respectable. The hotel staff was incredible - I called up for an iron and board and promptly headed into the shower. (Typical expectation was that it would hae been brought 30 minutes later) IT WAS THERE WITHIN 3 MINUTES!!! Laundry was equally impressive.

    « If you're like me... »

If you're like me: ... you'll be somewhat surprised that the concierge didn't help you with your bags ... you would be impressed with how friendly the staff are at the reception ... you would be amazed at how safe and clean Seoul is in general ... you'd be blown away by the technology incorporated in the toilet seat (see picture) ... you'd be pleased with walking around the area ... you'll be happy there's a Starbucks nearby (but it seems in Seoul there's a Starbucks everywhere) ... you'll have limited options for breakfast because of dietary restrictions but you'll enjoy the corn flakes with the pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and almonds as well as the scrambled eggs and mushrooms with baked beans (and the mushrooms are very yummy) ... you'll enjoy how efficient check out is as you enjoyed check in

« Good experience while staying there »

The experience was good, as the hotel staff was responsive and very polite. We had some issue with the water boiler, and they immediately sent someone up to check on it. A replacement was send to our room very quickly. The room is quite tight for triple, but is just nice for twin sharing. We enjoyed our stay... Also, there are plenty of restaurants behind the hotel. Our favorite Kyochon Fried Chicken is just a short 3 mins walk away.

    « Decent Hotel »

Good location and near metro station. This hotel is pleasant with good quality and service. The buffer breakfast has a good spread with both local and western dishes. The hotel is close to many street side eateries stores where you can find local food. A con to this hotel is that it is rather far from the key shopping areas in Seoul. You need to catch a taxi or metro to these places.

    « Premier choice hotel »

One of my favourite hotels to stay in whenever I visit Seoul. Good location with a myriad of restaurants, cafes and convenience stores within easy walking distance. Subway station is also nearby. Rooms are large, clean and very modern. Staff are very pleasant, helpful and courteous.

    « Very decent hotel »

Good location near metro station, this hotel is pleasant with decent quality and service. The buffet breakfast was pretty nice too. There are cafes and restaurants nearby as well. All in all, not a bad place to stay in Seoul

    « Great location »

The location is close to many cafes and restaurants, especially traditional ones. The room is clean, the staff is friendly, and I could get around by taxi to visit the tourist attractions. The heating was reduced during the day, but the provided us with a portable heater. Generally, I was satisfied with this hotel. The cafe in the lobby is too expensive? 12 dollars for a cappuccino or 11 dollars for a persimmon tea (which tastes awful, by the way)! The breakfast buffet was good (~20$).

« Good service and location »

Everything was perfect and no any issues. Service, sleep quality, location, cleanliness is excellence level. Subway station, bus stop to airport, local restaurants, ATM's, 7/11 stores in easy access. I would rather stay here again with pleasure.

    « Not 5 star - dissapointed »

I was quite disappointed with this hotel. Although billed as a 5-star hotel, it was more like a low end 4 star. A lot of foreigners stay at this place but most of the staff, including the receptionists, struggled with English. It was a chore to get across even the simplest requests. We stayed for 4 days and the AC did not work for 2 days!! Can you believe that? A 5 star hotel and the AC did not work. When complained, the receptionist told us to open the windows!! On the other 2 days when it did work, the control would not let us go down below 20 degrees. When asked, the front office told us that it was controlled centrally and would not go below 20 degrees because anyway it was getting cold outside. Let the client be the judge!! Again we were told to open the windows! What a shame! The suite was small and congested. The WIFI is terrible too! The only saving grace is the bar which was good.

    « Good location »

This hotel located not far from the city centre, subway station just a few minutes walk, E-mart is just 8-10 min away by foot, a full range of local snacks and ramen can be found there. There are many convenient store, bakery, starbucks & local restaurant nearby the hotel, KOREAN fried chicken and local beer is a must try! Hotel rooms are clean and spacious, everything is provided, we had a comfortable and pleasant stay. We will come back for sure.

    « Good location »

Good location for solo traveller as the 6015 airport bus stops right outside this hotel, and it is a short walking distance to the Mapo subway station. Nice comfortable rooms. Enjoyed my stay here 2 nights.

« Good Hotel in the middle of the City »

The Hotel .located near the Mapo Station..The Airport Shuttle Stops and pickup infront of the Hotel. The Hotel offers free Wi-Fi. It is a decent hotel for the money paid. The staffs are helpful and courteous.

« Was convenient for work »

The place is ok No great deal WiFi rather useless in the room, ask for a router placed in the room if you make calls over the internet Breakfast is ok in price and quality At least once a day no garlic and onions In 3 days I had more garlic and onions as the past 3 months The surrounding is ok to eat, each side of the main road is good all Korean

« Business only - appropriate but not outstanding »

Stayed here a couple of times now on business trips and recommend it for business travel, not for tourists. 1. Service Service is remotely warm and welcoming. The English level is above average for South Korea. 2. Restaurant I only have breakfast here, that is good and recommended with a variety of different dishes from different cultures. 3. Room The room is spacious enough and the bathroom is practical - not more but not less. It is clean and well maintained. 4. Surrounding This is a business hotel, tourists should stay in tourist areas with closer proximity to attractions and/or shopping.

    « A Business Hotel Near Subway »

A good quality business hotel near the subway. There are many shops around to have a haircut or grab some grocery from the mini-marts. The hotel has a conventional spacious lobby and we have our daily buffet breakfast at La Stella which served the usual western and Asian spread. Our room is classic, good and clean; we have a good rest in the comfy beds. Nothing remarkable. Overall a good value business hotel.

« a typical business hotel in disguise »

I booked a standard room with queen bed . A quite small hybrid room combining bathroom with sleeping area. Bathtub crammed with toilet in a small closet. a first experience but not pleasant actually . remind me of Japanese business hotels . not cheap but not expensive either .well located if you have business in this area. gym is very small and poorly equipped . If you look for a good standard you better look for another property .

    « Great hotel »

We stayed here while visiting for a wedding. The rooms were so comfortable- ours had a terrace with table and chairs. The bed was great. And the bathroom was amazing! Every thing was very clean and up to date. Several Starbucks and a local coffee shop (Fritz's) were close by for breakfast. Next to two subway stops- good location. Only issue- the concierge staff were very pleasant- but not good at directions. Highly recommend- we would stay here again

    « Modern & spacious room »

Excellent location with lots of coffee shops surrounding the area, the like of Toms n Toms Coffee, Starbucks, Fritz Coffee Company, etc makes Best Western Seoul Garden a truly magnificent area for good quality latte! Rooms is quite spacious, incredibly clean, plush bed, good WiFi connection and amenities provided inside are fantastic!

« Nice hotel in great neighborhood »

Hotel was very close to two metro stations. Nice exterior and interior, looks rater luxury. Room vas very clean and cozy. I love there was a seperate shower not only bathtub. View from the window was also very nice.

    « High value accommodations »

High value accommodations! Easy access to transport -- the hotel is located within a block of the Mapo metro station. Two buses to and from Incheon airport stop across the street from the hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Very spacious work desk and fast internet connection. The bed was extremely comfortable. Will definitely stay again!

« Good stay in BW »

good location, very friendly, helpful and professional staff. The room is very clean, good bathroom facilities, the breakfast is delicious. I would recommend the hotel for your business and holiday stay.

    « Good Service »

I stayed here for 5 nights the rooms are clean .The bed is comfortable but the pillows are a bit too soft for me. The size of the room is a decent size. I requested for an ironing board in less than 5mins it already send to my room. Good service !!! Well Done!!. There are lots of Korean eateries around the area. And a few malls across the street. The airport bus does come by this hotel and if you are into shopping you can take the bus down to the shopping areas. I will recommend this hotel to friends to stay cause it clean and breakfast is good , easy to move around . Away from the crowd about 20 mins .

    « Courteous Service - Great Rooms! »

Very spacious Rooms; Well appointed; extremely courteous Staff; very helpful and friendly; Nice location surrounded by Restaurant options. Sumptuous Breakfast Good high speed internet in the rooms! Nicely appointed Bar to relax! Attentive Staff at the Restaurant and at the Bar! Good value for Money overall!

« Simple but truly value for money »

Stayed here for 3 nights with family as my husband attended a conference in Seoul. This hotel may not be spectacular nor ultra-popular but you surely will get your money's worth here. With all the right basics, I would consider staying here again the next time we are in town. Plus points: -Simple but well-appointed, fresh-looking, newly refurbished rooms -Clean and comfortable linen; complete amenities -Modern bathroom fixtures -It is in the Central Business District but not in the busy, touristy, noisy streets of Seoul. How lovely and relaxing it is to stroll around the hotel during cool and crisp spring days/nights. -It is right next to a subway station!!! It would be close to impossible to move around this city without using the subway! -The hotel overall has an understated classy feel, frequented by either business travelers or families/couples. -Several small restaurants around the vicinity Disadvantages: -Rooms are quite small, but adequate (not claustrophobic at all) -Far from malls or major tourist attractions -Buffet breakfast is the same for the 3 days that we stayed there -Seems to be a little undermanned. A few times, the concierge was not at his post. Also, a couple of times during breakfast, there was a shortage of attendants to clean up the tables for new guests.

« Assured to get your money's worth »

This hotel cost me $80 a night and I was surprised with what it could offer. The room was refurbished and looked new. The bathroom had an advanced bidet system. The staff were amazing from house-keeping to reception to concierge. Really well done. The surrounding area was also a big plus as there were two 7 elevens on both sides of the hotel, a Mcdonlad's and a Subway across the street and a Starbucks and a Coffee Bean also on both sides of the hotel (competition is fierce). Mapo station exit three is just a minute walk from the hotel which was unbelievably convenient. The only two things I did not like were that the pillows were not so fluffy and that I stayed there during the winter so the A/C was centrally controlled and it got really hot at night that I sometimes had trouble falling asleep. Additionally, I am not quite sure if there is room service but Mcdonald's and 7 Eleven are 24 hours so I did not even ask. I stayed in February 2016.

« good hotel in Seoul city.. Nice experience »

Good hotel in Seoul city area .... Nice rooms.. not so big but good enough ..comfort stay... room supplies are good enough..... found helpful front desk people... nice resutrants near by back side of hotel.... 5-10 min drive to city center from hotel - from where you can take City bus tour

    « Average hotel »

Stayed there for nearly 3 weeks for business trip. The location is okay, there is quite a lot of small restaurants around that area and it is close to Mapo station. The room is not big to be honest, but it is nice and modern. The bathroom is a bit strange, it is separated into two portions by the corridor, not particular convenient, especially my stay is really long this time.

« Great place for a Seoul sojourn »

Friendly staff very willing to assist with transportation needs. We easily travelled around city by foot, bus, taxi all based on staff guidance and recommendations. Room was quite comfortable and quiet. Nicely decorated and temperature controlled. Good WiFi in rooms as well as lobby areas. Buffett breakfast featured many local and international items from which to choose as well as fruits and breads. If you choose fried eggs, unless you like them runny you should ask for fried hard. Main floor lounge makes a fine gin martini albeit the drinks menu mentions only vodka martinis. Choices of local beers limited but Cass was served cold. Overall nice, well located hotel, for the price.

« Spacious room and very accessible »

Best Western Seoul Garden exceeded my expectation as I know that most of the hotel rooms in the city are small but my room is bigger than usual. There's enough where I can put my luggages, it has a couch and a coffee table where I can I do my work. The location is also great because it is a few minutes away from the subway and has several restaurants, coffee shops, and even bars in the area.

« very good hotel in Mapo district »

The BW Seoul Garden hotel is very good for business trip in the central Mapo district. Rooms are spacious and very clean, staffs are very attentive and friendly. Check in was easy and quick. The buffet restaurant on ground floor is very good with a nice selection of western and Korean dishes, even the rate is a bit overpriced. Around the hotel are plenty of 7/11th, coffee shops and small bars in the back of the hotel. Transfer to airport around 45 - 60 minutes. Nice stay, thanks !

« Noisy and unhelpful front desk »

The Best Western Hotel is at a good location close to subway station and the concierge guys were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were ok, but one of the rooms we got had a very strong smoke smell, and we got it changed without a problem. The problems started on the second night, when some people decided that was pretty smart to un pack paper bags and pack their luggage in the corridor in front of our rooms at 0100 am. I complain once, our other room complain once and nothing happens. I had to call the reception after an hour (0200 am) and threat to call the police, after that the savages outside stopped the noisy work. What I found outrageous is that I haven't receive any apologies for this issue from the staff. To make it worse when I check-out and I raised the issue with the front desk, the staff giggled (the typical non-conflict behavior in Korea) and didn't offer any kind of complementary apologies (e.g. free breakfast or partially refund).

    « Amazing hotel!!! »

Great hotel. Clean, close to the metro Mapo station. Amazing king bed and best of all a heating system that works. During my trip in seoul it was - 6 outside but the heating system was so good that we felt nothing!! Highly recommended

    « Clean and comfortable »

Upon arrival, I found the the hotel staff were very polite, helpful and spoke very good English. Check in was swift and uneventful. The room, whilst not enormous, was nevertheless comfortable and well appointed. One slight issue was with the air conditioning - though it was cold outside I couldn't get the air conditioning unit to turn off "warm" mode or lower than about 22 degrees, which is way to warm for me to sleep. I ended up having to leave the window open. Breakfast is in a buffet style and there is a large selection of cooked food - both Asian and Western - pastries, toast, cereals, drinks, fruit and yoghurt. I was greatly satisfied by the selection. The hotel is not near many attractions, though it is just a short walk from the tube, which will take you wherever you want to go. Altogether a very pleasant stay.

    « Clean and comfortable »

Followed group tour and stayed in this hotel. Although the location is not in the heart of the city or near major shopping district, it is clean and comfortable for a pleasant stay. Mc Donald's is just located opposite the hotel across the main street and there are convenient stores, restaurants, cafes and retail shops behind the hotel. Staffs were friendly and courteous. Room was clean, beds were firm and comfortable. Free wifi available in the room. The smart toilet with biget, auto flush, seat warning was very cool ! Buffet breakfast was decent but crowded sometimes as many tour groups stay in this hotel. Complimentary bottled drinking water provided in the room but limited to 2 bottles only. Safe deposit box available and big enough for laptops. Overall, this is a nice recommended hotel.

« Great location and wonderful service! »

Stayed here for the weekend. Very close to subways and restaurants. Clean and functional rooms. It was easy to get to my conference and go out for dinner afterwards. Great breakfast buffet as well. Perfect.

    « Location!!! »

Close to a lot of areas- itaewon, hongik univ, etc.. very conveniently located. 5-10 min walk to subway and various food options right behind the hotel. Clean, safe area at night and easy access to cabs and buses too. Will def comeback.

    « Rated Worst Hotel in Mapo-Gu »

After being greeted by the hotel reception at the desk, that was pretty much where service ended. One room key was given even though there were two occupants. Specifically checked if breakfast for two was included, acknowledged by staff and confirmed, but Guess whAt? Next morning, I was told I had to pay for another guests. That's crazy when there were two guests in the room. Absurd. Next, business hotel charging for toothbrush and toothpaste. Are you serious? Razors as well-please refer to pictures. Room ventilation was poor and did not accommodate for all guests-types. Window opening was a mere 2inch and they claimed "its winter". There was a difference between warmth and suffocation. They took a fan in, which stopped working at night. Reason given next morning "we seldom use it". Travelling monthly to Korea, id tell you to skip this hotel. Especially when you have a business meeting at 9am, it spoils any chances of closing that important deal. Room also reeks of smoke. Final advice, stick with Marriott group or Lotte. It will not disappoint you. Even boutique hotels like hotel loft are better.

    « Best »

Hotel is awsome you can get every facility here ... Fridge item is costly. If you are from india or pakistan you can get easily indian taste when you are out of the hotel go to your right side parking side. Cross the road you see on the road royal resturent.

« Nice hotel and breakfast except for the room temperature »

It is a nice hotel in a great location with a good breakfast selection but the temperature is centrally controlled and rooms are very warm. The only option is to open the window or keep a fan running.

    « Good »

Good location near to financial district. staff were friendly and helpful. They speak fluent English. Room was clean and comfort. Starbucks and coffee beans are near to the hotel which good for coffee lovers.

« Well located and good for business »

The hotel is nicely located closed to the tube station (served by 4 lines). Perfect for access to and from the Incheon airport: - direct tube line - 2 different shuttle busses (Hotel Limousine Bus and Airport Express Bus) with stops RIGHT in front of the hotel. Small rooms but super clean, modern and functional. Everything works simply and efficiently. Nice buffet breakfast. Plenty of little local restaurants in the nearby side streets. If your wifi is a bit slow in the room, ask for an extra router and it'll be perfect !

« High cost performance hotel »

It is the reason for my reservation that my friend lives close to this hotel. The location of this hotel is convenient for easy access to both the central part of Seoul and the airports. Tall buildings for business, good restaurants, cafes and bars are surrounding this hotel. Though the building of the hotel is old, interiors are clean and good due to often renovations. This hotel shall be a candidate at my next visit to Seoul.

« A centrally located & comfortable stay in Seoul »

We stayed as a family group of 10 at Best Western Premier Seoul Garden Hotel for our final 2 nights from 9 October and were allocated to 5 deluxe rooms on the 5th floor. It was a very pleasant two night stay at a very convenient location. There are plenty of eatery within walking distance from the hotel. Upside: - complimentary fast internet in-room - Good facilities for USB charger with international power adaptor too, quite rare in Korea (photo) - One of the most high tech & comprehensive Japanese style toilet seat with bidet, dryer & washer function etc (photo) - Two complimentary bottle of water daily - Buffet breakfast has good range and good space to cater for big groups Downside - Basic toilet amenities are complimentary BUT the basic razor & toothbrush are chargeable items so avoid if possible - room is a very space saver design, with the wash basin located outside in the room next to the fridge & bed, while the bathroom contains just the shower & toilet. - room's space saver design means no closet door, only a curtail sheet that you can draw close & open Overall, a good & comfortable stay.

    « Excellent Value »

Took an orange taxi from ICN, it was 55k. I made arrangements with the driver to pick me up Friday at 5pm in the same spot for 55k too. Worked perfectly. The hotel itself is not in much of a touristy area, but I was here for work. It's close to Yeoido, but cheaper than those hotels and really only one metro stop away. The breakfast buffet was awesome and has private rooms available for rent for business breakfasts. The room was nice enough, the shower was not ideal though. Just could not get the strength that I typically prefer. The safe is large enough for a laptop. I did not have much interaction with the staff, but they were all very courteous. On Friday afternoon, after work, but before the taxi, I asked if there was a place I could change into street clothes for travel. The concierge let me use his office which was very nice. Across the street is a McDonald's and a decent foot massage place too. On the winding streets behind the hotel I guarantee you'll find almost anything you need. If you need to be in this location for work, it's a really good place.

« optimum location, great comfort & service »

first stop from icn airport by limosine, needed no help to reach venue. pleasant , prompt service, excellent co-operation and advice in local sight-seeing, and the food & wine is simply great! the chef helps you know the dishes well, esp shrimps, king crab & lamb. and they overcome the language difficulties with ease.

« Nice location for quick visit to Seoul »

Was here for one night for a conference. Was a easy KAL Limosine ride from ICN airport believe the KAL limo bus was #6702. Hotel check in was quick. Room was nice overlooking the busy Mapo area. McDonalds was across the street for the early morning jetlagged need for food and quick wifi. The hotel did have free wifi. The work out room was small but had 2 treatmills that worked great. Overall a very good reasonable priced hotel in Seoul.

« Great location, Beautiful Hotel »

The location of this hotel is very convenient. It is within a taxi ride to all the major areas (Gangnam, Itaewon, etc.) while also being along the airport bus route. The hotel is actually the last hotel pickup for the airport bus before it hits the highway to Incheon, so once you get on the bus it's smooth sailing to the airport. The hotel is modern, with a nice lobby and good sized rooms. The rooms are very clean and modern. I've stayed at this hotel 3x and have always enjoyed it. They also have in-room massage available provided by blind masseurs (Korean regulations).

    « Modern and comfortable »

Large hotel, probably mainly aimed at the business travellers. Comfortable rooms with good beds, air-condition, fridge and lots of gimmicks (the toilet comes woth an oprating manual!). Close to metro and airport train station, lots of restaurants in the vicinity. Somewhat unpersonal, but that has to be expected in a large house.

    « Dining out »

The dinner buffet you should try. The restaurant La Stella prepares for its hotel guests, of course, every body is invited to join, a enjoy full dinner buffet. Antipasti and dessert section makes people happy. Main corse, soup and also some sashimi are available. It's worth visiting this place.

« clean, free bottled water, good AC, clean bathroom, modern decor, comfortable bedding »

My family and I stayed here in August 2016 in a 1 bedroom suite on the 16th (top) floor.  If you are from the US, and you willingly forget what you know about the Best Western brand, and you ignore the few signs in the lobby and the few labels on the towels, slippers and free toiletries (the razors and toothbrushes are for sale but they are clearly marked so), you could easily imagine yourself being at a Grand Hyatt or Hilton.  Apparently, not all Best Westerns are equal, and there is something to the formal name of this hotel, 'Best Western Premier'. The rooms (and hallways) were recently renovated and are spacious.  The furnishings are modern and well maintained.  And both televisions were large, new flat panels, one in the living area and the other in the bedroom.  The bedding was very comfortable (no saggy zones), and the sheets and pillows were soft.  The bathroom was very clean and I absolutely loved the deep bathtub, separate shower with nice controls, good water pressure, and shower handle.  Most, I loved the smart toilet with bidet, auto flush, seat warming, and gentle drying mechanism for your backside.  The room cleaning service was excellent, our daily chambermaid always had a smile.  Bottled water was complimentary and plentiful, which is HUGE if you are shy about drinking the local water while you acclimate; we had enough bottles to hydrate at the hotel and pack a couple for day excursions.  The AC was awesome and the two (yes, two zones) thermostats were quite user friendly and accurate (some numbers skip in F because of the conversion from C; it's not broken). I do think the gym could use improvement, and the buffet can get monotonous, though it is very tasty and the variety is good if you are open to Korean / Asian food.  As important, I never got sick once and I thought the prices were fair.  As stated, the hotel is very clean and you can tell the staff takes great pride in doing a good job. The hotel is well placed across the river from the 'Yoeido' area and a huge mall a bit farther south called Times Square.  Nearby to the NW is the very fashionable Hongdae area, which is known for its hip and young vibe, as it is near a few universities.  Cabs are cheap by American and other city standards, and the subway (Mapo) is a 2 minute walk.  Basically, this hotel, though not much to do within an immediate 3-4 block radius, is quite accessible to diversions.  The Han River is also quite close, where you can walk, bike, and do other fun stuff.  I quite liked the quieter location, especially traveling with young kids, as the busier areas can feel 'too busy' after a while. Though I do like to stay at 4 and preferably 5 star hotels, I honestly did not feel like I was wanting for anything.  Yes, you usually do get what you pay for, but I don't think paying 50% more would have improved my room.  Some of the very upscale hotels might have a better gym or more restaurants or even a department store attached, but I very much loved my clean room with free bottled water, good AC, clean bathroom, modern decor, comfortable bedding, etc...

    « Good business hotel »

The rooms are small in size which are fine for business trips but might not be apt for family trips. Good connectivity to the whole city through the subway stations, there are 2 stations close to the hotel. Though, there are fair number of eateries around the Hotel, I would suggest one travels to Hongdae for more options which is just 1 or 2 stations away by subway train. The staff, speaks fluent English and, is very warm and friendly. Elaborate breakfast spread. All in all a good experience

    « It's good,but need some improvements »

The hotel is clean and comfortable. The interior is modern and good. The room is kinda small, but have a pretty unique interior. Staffs are very friendly and they speak English fluently. You can find 24 hours convenience store near the hotel. Breakfast choice is pretty wide. It tastes pretty good. They need to improve their facilities, like room service.I think it needs to change the service to 24 hours service. They need to improve their breakfast menu too. Overall is a pleasant stay!

« First Class Stay for First Visit to Seoul!!! »

Our stay was memorable. We appreciated the English speaking employees. This hotel had easy and very close access to eateries, coffee, 711 mini stores, subways, taxis and our limo bus back to Incheon Airport. We are retirees from Wisconsin and our visit will be one that we treasure and we hope to return soon!!!

    « Dependable and comfortable »

Nice hotel used by both business travelers and tourists, not right in downtown but easily accessible to whole city by subway and bus, 1 stop from ICN on airport buses. Rooms recently refurbished and very clean, WiFi works well. All in all good value though personally I skip the hotel breakfast (may be expensive if not in your package) in favor of local coffee shops nearby. Staff are friendly and efficient.

    « Business hotel »

This looks like a hotel for people on business in Seoul. The room is clean and well furnished. The toilet has the amazing Smartlet - just press a few buttons and it will take good care of you :-) There are two train stations - on the left and right of the hotel. We walked about 10 minutes to the station on the right to get to Myeongdong for shopping at night. At the back of the hotel is a street full of restaurants offering Korean BBQ, fried chicken and beer - just nice for after-dinner drinks or supper. Will stay at this hotel when I next visit Seoul.

« good quality, right price »

is not the most elegant one of Seoul, however is a good hotel with a good compromise between quality, service and cost. i would recommend it, very close to the metro and in an area with man restaurants and bars. the breakfast is not superb, however complete.

    « Disappointing... »

I wasn't glad, that I chose this hotel. Small room, sink in the corridor?!?, no shower cabin only a curtain in bathtube... and at the end: razors and dental sets for sale! It wasn't for sure 5*... disappointing expirience - last Best Western Arirang was a star better...

    « Good location »

Stayed here for my company assignment with a group of 25. The hotel location is convenient as i can take the subway from mapo to myeongdong, dongdaemum and even other stations which are further away. During my free day, i had my early breakfast in the hotel and explore the hotel surrounding. In front of the hotel, there is mcdonalds fastfood and behind the hotel, there are alot of shops like korea food, fried chicken, chinese cuisine etc. I do not need to worry that i will go hungry... Hahaha And just a walking distance away from the left, you can view the scenic hangang river at one sight. :) The room is fine with me and is clean. I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. Thank you so much for the services. :)

« Well located and clean »

The Hotel is well located in Mapo. Restaurants, bars and Shopping is easy to reach. Getting a taxi is no Problem at all. The rooms are clean and well equipped. The Hotel Restaurant has a good and reasonable buffet for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

    « Not good service »

Small room, spotty internet; beware of the extra charges of things like toothbrushes and razors. Seoul hotels usually provide complimentary toothbrushes, this one charges you without clearly marking them as chargeable. Best Western Premiers usually come with complimentary breakfasts; this one doesn't.

    « Great hotel ever »

This hotel so clean and welcome for our holiday.. even just 2 night stay, we have fun and refresh here.. i'm so excited to be here last july and think to stay there again in our next holiday.. great hotel and recomended

« Nice and good location »

Positive : 1) Good & convenient location in Seoul : - Mapo Subway Station at 2-3 min walk and Gongdeok at 5 min walk (which has the direct train to Incheon Airport at about 50-55 min) - easy to move around the different activities with the subway - many coffee shops, groceries (7/11, GS25 ...), restaurants and bars around the hotel for people who want to stay close from the hotel after long & tiring days ... 2) Very nice & helpful staff 3) Room was clean and bed comfy Negative : 1) Despite high-floor room and sound-proofing, the room was a bit noisy due to the car traffic of the main street (I am a light sleeper) but anyway, I did rest well after long days of activities and walking. However, I would recommend to ask for back-street room for light sleepers. 2) Breakfast buffet was nice but a bit expensive (especially when there is no way to get any hot chocolate ... which is quite surprising for a hotel ...) Remarks : we had the room 1422 which is on the 14th floor (out of 15), giving on the main street and at the end of the corridor (so far from the elevator and no noise from people walking & talking in the aisles). Despite sound-proofing, some background noise from car traffic in the main street but NOT troubling for "normal"sleeper. However, ask back-street room if you are a light sleeper.

    « Acceptable »

Room was very clean. WiFi worked well enough. The location is good, many taxis to be found and subway station close. Minor gripe, staff just OK,no problems but not very friendly either. To echo some others on here if your not a businessman I don't think they care much. Room service menu just so so, compensated by lots of local choices right behind the hotel. Also toothbrushes in the room are charged extra for, not a deal breaker by any means but a little 'cheap' given the price of the room. My advice is the same as many on here, if your staying for business it does the job but I wouldn't choose it again.

    « Good memories at a nice place~~ »

recommend not only staying at a room but also enjoying very nice restaurants personlly..I like Buffe restaurant...'La Stella'.. you can enjoy so many choices for palatable foods with a reasonable price and get a good services from all staffs~ ^^

« Prime location where all the great food are »

If I were to name one reason why I like this hotel, it will be because of its prime location where all the great food are. You can find many convenience stores and eateries around the hotel, especially at the back alley. Other than that, I like the hotel breakfast spread where you can choose the different cooking methods for your eggs. The hotel room is much smaller compare to other hotels that we stayed in Korea, but it is very clean and cozy. Definitely there are sufficient spaces to open two 29 inches luggage at one time. You may be amazed by the design of the room, where the basin was built outside the bathroom. Just have to get use to it for your toilet routine.

« Well located and clean »

The Hotel is well located in Mapo and gives easy access to Bars and Restaurants and Shopping areas. Incheon Airport and Gimpo Airport can be reached within one hour easily. The rooms are clean and have reasonable size.

« Good 4-star hotel. Review includes a few local dining options »

Good points: - recently refurbished - spacious lobby - near two Metro lines - competent, friendly reception and concierge staff - fast wifi - room heating is easy to control, and the window can be opened - tea / coffee-making facilities and fridge - room size is OK, with comfortable bed (not the ultra-hard type so common in Korea) - bathroom has a tub and an auto-wash toilet - room lighting has variations for all moods and occasions - good management response to complaints or problems. Not so good: - breakfast room can get very busy, with a queue for the espresso machines - some dishes in the breakfast and dinner buffet are overcooked or recycled, and the general quality is only average - not many good restaurants within walking distance, unless you like local food and understand the menu. Nearby eating suggestions: - breakfast: Paris Baguette, behind the hotel - dinner: Etz Chayyim Italian, in the block opposite on the second floor - burgers: MacDonalds, opposite - coffee: Starbucks, one block up on the right (and several other coffee options nearby - going native: lots of different Korean places in the warren of streets behind the hotel.

    « Very nice hotel!! »

Very nice and cozy hotel!! Superb location central of Seoul and just 2mins away from alleys of foods and subway station! And of cause free wifi is provided. And there's bathtub as well. Overall very happy with my stay here. Oh and pls bring along your own toothbrush and toothpaste as I think they do charge for that?!

    « Perfekt location - great service »

I stayed at Best Western Premier Seoul Garden in December for 3 busy days. Room, Concierge and service was perfect. Nice and likeable Staff. They also have a nice Gym. They have a splendid Buffet twice a week - do not miss it! I will indeed be back?? Thanks to all of the passioned Staff.

« Great Property for Business Travellera »

The Best Western Premier Seoul Garden Hotel is a great property for business travelers and provides comfortable rooms and fast Internet. The only complaint I have with the hotel is the air conditioning which appears to be fixed at 25'c, far to warm to comfortably sleep during the summer.

« Very clean and modern »

I spent just 1 night here. I had a very good experience. Check in at 2. Will hold your bags. Concierge service is very good. Provided umbrella, maps, tips and advice. The rooms were very modern and clean. The toilet is a little crazy, it has a remote control like nothing I've ever seen before, check the photo! Shower was decent, as was internet connection and tv access. My only complaint was my own inability to manage the room temperature which Seemed stuck at 25C... Didn't try the hotel food, as behind the hotel (right out of doors, right immediately after hotel, next left) is a wide choice of locally frequented Korean restaurants, including the traditional BBQ. About a 3 min walk from line 5 Mapo underground station (exit 3). Or 5-7 min from Gongdeok station (exit 10 or near) (many lines, including the airport rail link from both Incheon, Seoul station, and gimpo). Would stay again.

« Great and Nice stay! »

Stayed one night as part of our 7-day group tour. The hotel is good, nice and clean. Room size is ok because it is in Seoul. There are free instant coffee and tea bags, 2 free bottles of water, and kettle in room, + free in room Wi-Fi. The breakfast is good+ and more western style, breakfast seating area is nice too. Overall is a 4 stars hotel. The street behind the hotel, there are a lot of restaurants, the famous Korean Paris Baguette, Korean fried chicken?TRY the Korean fried chicken (fried without a lot of flour batter). We ordered one (~17,000 W) with two tastes - regular and hot & spicy, enough for two people; BUT need to wait between 20-40 minutes. **Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste or razor!! Not like other countries in Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, China?), most of the Korean hotels don't provide those or you buy at $$$ from hotel. ** If you love shopping - most of the local stores or shops, even the large department stores will be closed for 2 days during the Mid-Autumn festival or Seollal Holidays (Chinese New Year) .

    « Well located »

The hotel is well located in Mapo. Easy access to bars and restaurants and as well good connections to the airports. Rooms are in good condition and the beds are very comfortable. Check in and check out is easy goind and the staff is friendly and helpful. Acces to a small business center is granted.

    « Business type hotel »

Rooms are average, low ceiling, small bathroom, clean, new furniture.Rooms have low ceilings.Breakfast is rich and very tasty but the breakfast room in not enough, especially between 07:00 and 08:00 a.m

« if all staff would be that nice! »

Vakue for money hotel. Location a bit further away from center, but price compensates a lot. Staff is really helpfull. Rooms are spacious enough and very well maintained. The buffet restaurant in the evening is worth testing. I enjoyed it a lot. Great selection, prime taste and quality

« Solid Business Type Hotel »

The hotel is nice, everything worked (though I suspect the AC thermostat in my room was only for my amusement as the temp stayed the same even when I changed it) and the important wifi was stable and fairly fast. The bed was comfortable, staff and housekeeping good. The Mapo subway station is very close so the city is easily accessed and airport bus stop is right in front. One note: My Korean contacts booked this hotel for me but it was at a rate that was $30 per night above what I could have booked it online at the Best Western site.
