    « An excellent 4 star Hotel! »

Very good location! The hotel was perfect, a real 4 star hotel. Room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. The staff was very nice and very professional. I had a beautiful stay at this hotel. Thank you.

« Great value and amazing service »

We stayed at this hotel with our family of 4 (in 2 rooms). The rooms are exactly as described and the interior of the hotel was immaculate. The breakfast had many options, however, the only meat options were pork. Very quick and easy access to the subway. Check-in and check -out were quick and simple. The best thing about this hotel is the service, they go beyond to be helpful and ensure your stay is great. Definitely, a gem for any family trip.

« Comfortable rooms, good location, and friendly staff make this a good value in Seoul »

Easy access to Seoul's excellent metro system make the property perfectly suited for sightseeing Korea's capitol city. Clean, modern rooms, friendly and helpful staff provide all the comforts that one could expect at this price level. Seoul is a dynamic and exciting city, and the BWP Hotel Kukdo offers good value in an expensive Asian destination.

    « Avg by ?K? standards »

Seoul is a very dynamic city. Fun places to hang out and visit. However this hotel is situated on a very drab street. Having said that the metro is very easy to use and conveniently located, not to mention the taxis. Other than the ever helpful concierges no one from the hotel really stands out. Average sized, clean room could have had a bit of pizazz thrown in considering the location. The view of the construction on the neighboring site was not too bad after all.

    « Construction work @next building - noisy »

Con : Checked in this hotel in early Apr, there is new building construction going on @17th floor. The work start pretty early if you need to have a good rest don't request high level. Due to no aircon policy during this season, we were asked to open the small window therefore can you imagine how noisy n dusty it will be?! To avoid the noise, we tried to close the window but it's pretty stuffy since there no aircon coming out. Pro: The nearest exit to subway is Euljiro4ga exit 10 are stairs only not advisable if you carry big luggage, suggest you take airport bus 6021 (Incheon) or 6015(Gimpo) both stop in front of the hotel. There is a small convenience store at the first floor and a small eatery place opposite, else there are mostly shops for tile n home Reno stuff along the street. The hotel do provide shuttle bus in weekday to dongdaemum culture, myeongdong and a few attractions do check the time slot.

    « Great accessibility.... »

easy to get there from airport...bus 6001... right to door. Hotel just wonderful, staff polite and rooms good size and always clean. shopping districts short cab ride (cheap) or a nice stroll up the road. Have used hotel 4 times, would not hesitate booking again.

« my favorite hotel in South Korea »

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was clean. The concierge was helpful. The hotel provides free bottled water. The hotel also has a doorman which is a feature of better quality hotels. The free wifi worked well. There is a free hotel shuttle to a limited number of places including Myeongdong and Dongdaemun Design Plaza. The airport shuttle stops right in front of the hotel. However, the hotel does not offer free breakfast. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.

    « Friendly service & good comfort »

I had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay at this hotel ~ and it all started from the moment I walked into the lobby! The concierge counter is on the ground floor and the staff here are very friendly and helpful - and pretty fluent in English! I have to mention Mr SK Lee ~ he was extremely friendly, helpful and always armed with a very charming smile - a nice welcome back to the hotel when he greets guests downstairs! The check in counter and front desk is on the first floor as well as the restaurant which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are escalators and elevators to help you make your way to this area. The check in process was quick and easy with most of the paperwork prepared beforehand and soon I was making my way up to my room on the 19th floor. I was there during winter and the hallways and rooms were all nice and warm compared to the stinging cold outside. The rooms are big and spacious, with a toilet & bathtub in the bathroom, while the sink and bathroom amenities are on a counter in the room. I have read some reviews where guests complained about this - but I found no problems or hassles regarding this - it is basically right next to each other. There is a mini fridge stocked with some drinks, a safety deposit box, TV and alarm clock in the room - and what I liked is that on the desk there are USB sockets for charging phones and electronic devices - which takes care of the hassles of electrical power plugs and voltage. My room rate did not include breakfast - there is a convenience store on the ground floor which sells the basic products of convenience stores like sandwiches, TV dinners, instant noodles and a wide selection of drinks. Getting to the hotel from the airport is very easy and direct - but not necessarily the cheapest or quickest with the airport limousine?. Bus 6015 stops right in front of the hotel, which makes it an easy and hassles free trip to the hotel, but it costs KRW14 000 for a one way ticket. The train is cheaper but involves changing trains and hauling baggage around the trains. Added to that - guests need to do some research about the location of the hotel. Yes it is downtown, but not particularly near touristy areas or in the middle of all the hustle and bustle of the city. It is what seems to be industrial-ish area with lots of lighting shops. I walked to most places I wanted to go and didn't find it such a big issue. About 10min walk to the Dongdaemun Design Plaza, about 10min to Myeongdong pedestrian & shopping area, 5min to Jongmyo Shrine and 25min to Namdaemun Market. There is a metro station just a few hundred meters from the hotel as well. All in all, I had a comfortable stay here at an affordable rate and service & standards were top notch!

« Close to the airport »

I wanted a hotel with a shuttle to the airport and this fits the bill. Rooms are ok but the thermostat didn't work in my room so I had to open the window (in mid-winter) to cool the room down. The restaurant may be ok for breakfast when they serve a buffet but the kitchen is incapable of serving 2 tables of diners plus room service without long waits. There are 2 shuttles to the airport/hour.

« Good hotel with a fine location. »

We had the pleasure to stay in this good hotel for three nights. Rooms were comfortable but not everyone would like to have a part of the bedroom as a part of the room. There was a large buffet breakfast but the things for westerners were quite tasteless.

« Very Nice Hotel and Great Value »

This was a very beautiful and comfortable hotel which is centrally located which is also right next to an underground station. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. We had a higher room which gave great views of the city. Didn't try any of the food as we were not big breakfast people however a conveniently located shop on the ground floor sells snacks and booze.

    « Beware tv/hotel SCAM »

Disappointed does not begin to describe our experience at this sorry excuse for a hotel. Stayed Nov 13-20 2017. Our problems with this hotel began AFTER we came back to Canada. Exactly one month later our credit card bill arrives and to our dismay we find we were charged an extra $500. We contacted the hotel and was shocked when they told us we had broken their TV. We never touched the TV and certainly did not break it. We attempted to explain to Kim Jae Seon (Room division director) that it was unacceptable that they did not contact us right away. They claimed they "sent" an email of which we have zero record. Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo should have notified us upon check out if they were to place blame as we would be able to properly defend our selves in person. Now one month later and miles away they send us a mysterious picture of a cracked TV screen expecting us to pay. Anything could have happened from the time we left the room. Their own house keeping staff could have broken it or another guest. Instead they choose to secretly charge our credit card without having the decency to inform us in person. Absolute garbage hotel. Avoid and choose a more honest establishment.

    « Good Stay »

Stayed here for one night booked with Air Miles points. Took the bus from Seoul-Incheon Airport to the hotel. Arrived as closed as possible - you couldn't get closer. So easy to get to. One thing to note is that sometimes it is branded as Hotel Kukdo and sometimes as Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo. So be aware. Plus, I think I also saw it branded with a J or something (Jukdo)... can't remember which letter, but it was definitely not Kukdo. Checkin formalities were easy and I went to my room. Decent size for Korea. Loved the heated toilet seat. I wish we had these here in North America. I have looked, you know. Anyways, the only complaint for the bathroom was the bath towels are really small. Should get bigger towels. The rest of the room was fine, including working air conditioning and wifi, my usual hotel complaints. I dined in the restaurant the one night and there must have been a language barrier. I ordered the item with the server including pointing to it on the menu. She reconfirmed. Later she came back to double check. Then another person came to confirm my order. Seriously. Wow. I ordered the spaghetti Bolognese. It said it came with garlic bread but all I got was regular bread and butter (served before the meal) so I ended up having no bread with the meal. So the dining experience could definitely be improved. Portion was small by the way. Everything else was okay. So I would consider staying here again. It was just a one night layover between flight connections. Yes, a little out of the way from the airport, but it was booked on points, so all the better.

« Nice hotel with good location »

We joined a group tour in korea and we stayed here for 2 nights. Location is good. It is between Myongdong dan Dongdamen area. Myongdong could be reached on foot but we took train (1-2 stops) to Myongdong. The hotel itself is good. I have nothing to complain. Everything is is order. Room is clean with many international tv channels. We are happy with the stay and will stay here again in the future.

« Convenient location to airport limo, close to Ramen Alley. »

The bus stop from the airport was very convenient as it stopped in front of this hotel. There is a small shop with fast take out and drinks next to hotel. Hotel shuttle to various stops was very helpful except that they did not bring you back to hotel. Would have been nice to have them bring you back to hotel. Workers downstairs were most helpful and cordial.

    « Business hotel »

Our family of 2 adults and 3 kids stayed here for a whole week and we had no major qualms with the hotel. Location: BWP Kukdo is located between two subway stations and has a local bus stop not far from the hotel, so it is easily accessible for those going to other parts of Seoul. The neighbourhood where the hotel is situated in does not cater to tourists but there are local shops as well as small eateries. There is a hotel shuttle to Myeongdong every half hour but you have to make a reservation first. Room: The room is rather old, with marks and stains on the wooden furniture, though the size of the room itself is good for three people. The toilet is really small and has only a bathtub and bidet inside it, with the sink located outside the toilet and there is no shower cubicle. The beds are hard but pillows and blankets comfy, and the sheets are relatively clean. The TV should have more channels as it has only 20 and sound proofing from the corridor could be improved. Amenities: Basic amenities like bottled water, shower caps and brown rice tea are provided and refilled every day though toothbrushes, tooth paste and mini fridge items are charged exorbitantly (4.4k won for 330ml coke). Laundry service is charged though you can obtain an iron and board from the chambermaid. A hair dryer is provided, as well as room slippers and some weirdly shaped pyjamas. Room service is available but expensive and coke via this service costs 7,000 won. Staff: The manager is friendly and can speak many languages while the others can speak basic English and attempt to be helpful. Food/Restaurant/Gym: As the food served does not cater to our dietary restrictions we did not try it out, though on the last day when we went exploring around the second floor we could not find the gym even after consulting the floor loading plan and directions posted outside the Patio. Overall/Suggestions: The size of the room is appropriate but the toilet is very small. The sewing set should be eliminated from the free amenities provided and the toothbrushes made free. The free non-perishable amenities should be replenished only once every two days because during our six day stay we tested the service by hiding the amenities in the safe and we left the hotel with 6 complete sets of combs, cotton set, soap bars and shower caps, indicating that the hotel is not very environmentally friendly. A self-service laundromat should be available so guests can do their own laundry like at Lotte Hotels and L7 Myeongdong, and lastly more power outlets for charging personal devices should be made available, especially beside the beds at table level, and not just at the desk beside the lamp that gets hot very quickly.

Stayed there for 2 nights from 27th Dec 2017 - 28th Dec 2017. Room is clean but the electricity didn't work. I can't charge my phone and camera. And next to the hotel building is an office. It doesn't have a great view. It also too far from mall etc. It will only be a good bed and breakfast hotel.

    « Good experience »

The first time I travel abroad with my family, this hotel gave me a good impression and nice stay. My room is clean and bright, breakfast is good. However, the staff can not speak English well, I got some trouble to explain what I mean to them. In short, the value comes with the service, everything is fine.

Good location for airport bus stop, subway stop, walk to markets, stream, etc. Construction next door but NO noise in room. Personnel response fast and service with SMILES! Fast subway connections from all lines.

« Good hotel to stay »

Hotel location is very close to MRT station. Hotel service is very good especially refilling water. Waiters are very friendly. Room is cosy even though a bit narrow for walkway. TV channels in the list are all available especially MNet & SBS/MTV. The best thing is it has a 24 hour convenient store at its ground floor.

« Not a good place to stay »

Room I was given was dirty. Location was in the industrial area. The hotel staff was unwilling to review the bill which was $17.00 more than I booked. The concierge people were nice and helpful. Location for bus and subway was good.

« Lovely room in convenient location »

We were a tour group of just over 30 so we were pre-checked in and given keys to our rooms on level one (reception, lobby, breakfast room are on level 2). There were plenty of elevators and they were pretty quick too. Our rooms were super spacious, very clean, and well-appointed. We lucked out and had a high floor which gave use a good view of Seoul Tower on Namsan. Choices in the included breakfast would have met the needs of locals and travelling westerners. Staff were helpful and very efficient. Hotel Kukdo is just a short stroll to the nearest subway station and there's a airport limousine stop just outside. Level 1 also has a convenience store where you can buy snacks, drinks, and T-money or subway passes. There are many small shops selling food and restaurants nearby. I can recommend Zoono chicken a short walk away in the next street. We had a terrific meal of chicken and beer there.

    4
    « Modern clean hotel »

I really liked my room in this hotel. The loo and bath/shower is in one room and the sink is in a corridor by the bedroom. That gives you plenty of room for skincare etc. There is a kettle with coffee and tea which is useful. The bed is hard but comfortable. Good quality bed linen and a good size room. The large digital clock is handy when in a new country! Breakfast is very good with many tasty options. Coffee could be better, rather weak.

    5
« Comfortable, clean, conveniently located »

Check in was smooth & efficient with staff who spoke English well. Lots of elevators. We had a fantastic view of the Namsan Seoul Tower from our 19th floor room. Beds and linens were comfortable. Bathroom was western style with a shower/tub and curtain, so no flooding issues as in some Seoul hotels! Very modern toilet with all the electronic bidet functions but there is an ordinary flush handle if you just want what we are used to in N America! Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel in a large wall dispenser plus bars of soap & lots of towels. Free water in room plus bar fridge with pricier items for purchase. The 24-hour convenience store on the first level of the hotel has a really great supply of different beers, liquor , sandwiches, coffee, chocolate etc. Very convenient and good prices!! We ate dinner at the restaurant twice; Really excellent steak with buffet and beer or house wine included, so that made the 55000 dinner good value! I had forgotten that the service/ dining culture is very different here: staff do not constantly hover and interrupt as we are accustomed to in North America, so at first you might think you are being ignored. The onus is on the customer to get the server's attention and then the service is impeccable. This is just the culture. Really wonderful staff in the restaurant. Breakfast had a wide variety. Not quite what we are accustomed to, but as good as one is likely to find in Seoul. Scrambled eggs and bacon were part of the buffet. 19,000 seems a little steep though, compared to a North American breakfast price where eggs & sausages are prepared to order. I counted 140 strides to the subway, located to the right after you leave the hotel! So close. That's exit 10 on the green line, Eujilro 4. Taxies in Seoul are cheap, only 5 or 6 000 won most places we went. Myeongdon and the DDP (Dongdaemon Design Place) are walking distance (20 minutes) or one stop away by subway. If we are lucky enough to return to this amazing city of Seoul, we will definitely stay here at Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo again.

« Convenient location, very clean room »

First, staffs are so kind. Ladies at the front desk are so kind and helpful. I personally thanks to them (It is sad that I could not remember their names). Room was very clean and comfortable. Good WiFi. Location was so close to metro station. Surround by local foods and convenient stores. Airport limousine stop is right front of the hotel. I will stay at this hotel next time when I visit to Seoul again.

    5
    « Good location hotel »

i visited this hotel location is very good almost centre of big two market hotel is clean but be carefully of checking time is 2pm for early check in 10am we have to pay extra 20000won and if you are paying it at hotel than check the currency exchange rate because this hotel will give very low rate if you pay by card

    « Above expectation »

Straight from my notes on my Iphone. Very welcoming staff. Easy checking in and out Stayed in Room 2005. Spacious. Comfortable. Bed was relaxing. Good location. Plenty of stores nearby and the metro as well as the airport limousine were less than 5 minutes walk. If using the subway, take euljiro4 exit 10 to get closest to hotel. Wifi worked at all times. I would gladly stay here again if the price remains the same. Overall A great place!

« Best option in the area »

Location is great. Service is too. Rooms are spacious enough to walk around. It is just here that I encountered having sinks that are supposed to be inside the bathroom, outside. But I don't totally think that it's a bad thing. We never experienced anything off with it so it's still all good. Bed is super comfortable. Appreciate that their TV has other channels other than the local ones. Complimentary breakfast is buffet style and is okay. I didn't notice any change with the spread during the 2 mornings that we're there. Super plus point is the convenience store at the ground floor for urgent needs.

« Super like good location »

its ok to stay, walking distance to subway, and 10 minutes walk to myeangdong market, clean, affordable, friendly and helpfull staff, meni stop available on the ground, accessible for bus airport shuttle, 5thousand won need to pay even you have haevy and big luggage...we probably choose again this hotel in future trip to seoul korea. tips, you dont need to pay agent to see the tourist spot its all near, try to use subway its cheaper.

« Ok location but luxury hotel »

Hotel is near the entrance of subway but its a 5-7 mins walk underground so for location i will give it a 3. Otherwise hotel is very nice, newly renovated. Spacious room and bath, very modern interior. Big windows. Comfortable bed, all amenities included. Our stay was very comfortable. Wifi speed was perfect even on the high floor room Airport shuttle goes from infront of the hotel, not so expensive. Hotel was actually luxury hotel and i wonder why its 4 star and not 5 star. Nice and helpful staff Hotel is even more nicer than what they show in the pictures. Highly recommended.

    « Dishonest Staff? »

I stayed from 6 July and checked out on 8 July 2017, Room 703. I left my precious sunglasses on the table top beside the TV and only realised when I have left the hotel. A few days later, i called the hotel asking if they have found my sunglasses in their lost and found. However, without hesitation, the unhelpful receptionist said no. Sadly, I believe one of the staffs must have taken it. Very disappointing.

« Great hotel in great localisation »

Hotel was really close to metro stations. Nice exterior and interior, hotel looks rather luxury. Room was very clean and cozy. View was very nice, we could see Namsan tower. Fitness center was small but there was everything we need.

    « Very fancy »

Me and my friend stayed here for just one night but honestly it was the best night in a week. Wh had just arrived from China where literally everything is blocked (facebook, instagram, google) which sucked. It was so easy getting to the hotel from the airport, they had a free shuttle bus which stopped not far from the hotel. Everyone at the hotel knew english which was a big difference from China and they were so polite and nice. The room was big and very clean, very much enjoyable. The wifi was fast and we had finally reached civilisation once again hahah. Very great beds and surprisingly quiet, we couldn't hear a thing. Both check in and check out was very easy as were payment for the hotel. Good to know could be that they're wheelchair friendly. They also have their own shuttle bus that took us back to the airport where we could easily catch the Airport Railway to our next stop. I highly recommend this place, and if I ever go back to Korea again I will definitely stay a night at this hotel if my flight arrives late in the evening or departure early in the morning. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel, t was all nice a easy!

    5
« Great location, very comfortable choice »

Good option in Seoul with large comfortable quiet rooms in a great location close to major market areas and to the little side streets that give Seoul an authenticity you need to feel as a tourist. Bus from the airport stops right outside and staff are helpful. Dongdaemum, Myeongdong and Cheonggyecheon stream all within 5-10 min walk. Subway closeby also offers lots of shops underground.

    5
    « You'll definitely get your money's worth! »

The best thing about Best Western Premier Hotel Kukdo is its location. Upon leaving the hotel premises, you'll be greeted with two convenient subway entrances, one to your left and another to your right. Studying the subway map will reveal that Hotel Kukdo is only a sneeze away from some of Seoul's best tourist locations, including Myeongdong and Dongdaemun. In fact, most of these major tourist hubs are only one or two rides away from the hotel, with minimal transfers. Another thing I love about this hotel is that the Airport Limosine bus (6015 to be precise) stops directly in front of their lobby. No need to cross the street or get a cab. Same goes for when you need to go back to Incheon Int'l, just pay the 15,000 won fee and you're off to the airport! In terms of the hotel itself, you'll be shocked at how luxurious Hotel Kukdo feels despite the affordable rates. Everything is shiny and convenient, not once did we feel that something was lacking. There's a Mini-Stop at the G/F with everything you might need before heading off. (I recommend buying T-Money there, so you're not frazzled at the subway) They even have a weighing scale so you can check if your baggage is overweight from time to time. This place also has great brochures for first-timers in Seoul. I recommend nabbing a copy of the "Seoul Top 100" booklet, which contains essential information of where to go and how much to pay for a week's stay in the city. Staff can understand very basic English, and depending on what shift you encounter, your front desk will either be very comfortable with English, or will play charades with you using context clues. Either way, you'll get to your room without too much fuss. The room we booked (good for three people) had one solo bed and a double-bed fit for 2. The bathroom is to your left, and along the hallway going towards the bedroom proper, you'll have a backlit bathroom counter with the sink. Underneath, there's a mini-bar/fridge and some cabinets. While the otherwise strange orientation of the room doesn't bother me at all, I have to complain about the pillows, one of the few things that didn't satisfy me at this hotel. They're so soft, you can basically sleep without them because they offer nothing the mattress itself can't provide. For those who have problems sleeping with sinking pillows, I'm not sure if you can ask the front desk for firmer pillows, or bring your own inflatable one. Besides that, everything was in pristine condition and I loved coming home to the hotel after a long day of walking and shopping. (They had a buffet and a fitness center but we didn't use either) Despite the poor state of the pillows, I'd give this hotel 5 stars for convenience, being affordable without sacrificing luxuriousness, and good service for any of your needs.

    « Comfortable stay & 10 mins from Myeongdong »

Me and family stay here only for 1 night but it was memorable enough for us to wanting to stay there again. The room is clean and neat, not that spacious but comfortable for the 3 of us. The bed in the triple room is 1 King bed & 1 single bed, very comfy. The area is good, near subway station and most importantly near to Airport Bus's stop. Myeongdong can be reach by foot in 10 mins, Cheonggyecheon stream in less than 5 mins and Gwangjang Market in 8 mins. There is Ministop Mart on the ground level of this hotel, very convenient and easy for us to buy snacks & foods. The staffs are very helpful and nice especially the doorman, who greet us cheerfully when we first reach the hotel.

    « Reasonable priced hotel »

Stayed in this hotel for a week. Room amenities, there isn't much to complain as all basics are there. As my stay did not come with breakfast, I paid for one day and it was just okay. Nothing to be wow about. What i felt lacking was probably the knowledge of the staff on tourist destinations. It was really really hard to communicate with the reception (this is based on the experience i had in my previous stay in Myeongdong, where at least one of the staff on duty could speak fluent English). I enquired about a trip to the Korean Folk Village (which the staff told me it will take about 2 hours), however, they failed to informed me that i could take a KTX train from Seoul station to Suwon which will take me 30mins only. That aside, for the price i paid, the location is good because the airport bus is exactly at the door step. However, when travelling solo, its a bit quiet at night when returning past 10pm. Other advantages are its within walking distance to Gwangjang market and the hotel provides shuttle service to Myeongdong. But note that shuttle service runs on weekdays only.

« Clean hotel for a short trip to Seoul in this price range »

I stayed in the hotel for a short trip from Tokyo for three nights. Room was spotless clean although the layout was a bit strange with the toilet/shower separated and the sink right in the room at the door but okay, if you travel alone or as a couple. The breakfast isn't anything worth mentioning but good enough for a short stay and on the plus side the hotel is right next to the train station, which gives you easy access to all site seeing and my room was quite, which is always a plus. So overall a good stay, nothing bad or extraordinary about the hotel and that is what I expected. The overall average score is based on that the hotel is obviously not a 4-5* hotel and therefor can hardly be exceptional for the price you are paying but if you are looking for a short trip clean hotel in Seoul with easy access to public transport, it's one you should give a try.

    « Decent hotel »

We stayed in this hotel twice, once at the beginning of our trip and once at the end. The hotel is easy reachable by airport shuttle from Incheon airport. The hotel is located near a metro station with two lines, and busses stop in front of the door. It is located in a good area with many highlights that are easily reachable by metro and bus. Personnel is friendly and willing to help, but there are some translational issues. The rooms are of a decent size, and the bathroom have a bath with a shower. However, the stand is rather low and its hard to stand under it, so a rain shower would improve bathing. The beds are good, and the rooms are quit. The rooms look clean, but there are dust bunnies under the bed and nightstands. We didn't have breakfast, but there is a convenience store that sells foods and coffee. There are some restaurants in the area that are quit oke.

« Good Hotel, Easy to get transportation »

Staying for 5 nights at this hotel. From incheon airport you can take bus 6015 and will stop in front of the hotel nearest MRT station is Euljiro ga 4, you need to take exit no 10 just go straight and u will find the hotel at your left side if u came with heavy baggage, i recommend u to take bus more convenient because exit no 10 MRT , u need to climb a lot of stairs with no escalator. Hotel lobby have mini market, concierge service which they have shuttle bus to myeongdong for shopping stop surrounding hotel - most is electricity shop, wallpaper shop if u want to visit gwangjang market is nearby just walking around 10 minutes u can ask reception for hotel map check in on second floor breakfast also second floor but my room come with no breakfast i book room for 3 pax, 1 double bed and 1 single bed room spacious, amenities ok exclude toothbrush and toothpaste so far good hotel for rest but if u are shopaholic i recommend to stay around myeongdong

The hotel is ok, close to station and airport limo bus stop right in front. Only downside is the mattresses, it's old and when I moved my body my wife could feel everything...and she complained all the time

    « Comfortable Stay »

Stayed here for two nights at Best Western Premier Kukdo on February 11-12th. The room is not big but very clean. The bed was so comfortable. Shower/ baht room is quite small. 2 drawbacks; fitness hours are too short. It closes at 10pm. Breakfast is ok but the coffe was terrible. The manager on duty was like a robot. He focused only breakfast coupon checked and collected. There was a long queue but he didn't manage it. Oh and wifi quality was not good.

    « Business & tourist hotel. »

Good stay here for my first time in Seoul. Located near the 2 night markets: within walking distance to Gwangjang & 1 metro stop west of Dondaemun. From Dondaemun, you' re already at transfer point for shopping district, Myeongdong, 1 metro stop west. Go further west 2 metro stops & you're at Namdaemun market. Entering at closest metro entrance/exit 10, you'll encounter the underground shopping. If into tea cakes, will be your first shop on left. ATMs(CDs) also exist in the underground. Fee ATMs turned out to be more reliable for about $3-4. For foreign cards, expect to be limited to credit card cash advances. There is Korean steakhouse about 1 block N of exit 10 just before next intersection on same W side. You'll find table service & credit cards are accepted. It'll be wise to bone up on your Korean.

« No nice restaurants close by. »

Room was clean and neat. Picked this hotel as airport shuttle bus stops in front of hotel. However it is not walking distance to major shopping areas but there is a hotel shuttle that drops you off but does not pick you up.

    « Close to subway »

Room was decent size for foreign country. Staff was not that friendly but maybe that's how it is in Korea. Not many nice restaurants close to hotel. Hotel offers limo service within the town to set locations but no returns.

« Great Introduction to Korea »

Although not exactly centrally located, this hotel is close to the subway and there is a shuttle bus. The Airport Limousine bus stops at the hotel. Reception is good. The rooms are big, comfortable and clean with free tea and coffee as well as the usual shampoo but toothbrushes and toothpaste is not free. Breakfast is good with Western style bacon and eggs, fruit as well as Korean style food. The bar/restaurant is good but pricey. Restaurant service can be slow but cheerful.. Highly recommended!

Good location for sightseeing and Metro close by. Stingy giving water. Food expensive in hotel. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Airport limo stops at front door,.free shuttle to 2 local areas but not return.

« Nice hotel - close to subway station »

Good hotel - situated quite far from the tourist attractions but just a minutes walk to the subway station of a main line. Rooms are up to expectations - kinda odd having a basin in the room itself rather than in the shower room. Staff were nice - they're Koreans anyway! Don't mind coming back here again.

« Wonderful service, great location »

This hotel is located in between two subway stations, where we could easily access 3 of the metro lines, namely lines 2, 3 and 5. If you walk in the direction behind the hotel for about 10 minutes, you can reach Chungmuro station where you can take line 4. Took the airport bus 6015 for 15000won from Incheon airport, and it stopped right in front of the hotel. Same for when you are going to the airport, you can take it straight from the same stop. There is also an hourly free shuttle from the hotel to dongdaemun and myeongdong. Hence location wise, it was literally perfect. We booked a standard room and were pleased to find it up to the standard of a 4 star hotel. We were given a room on the 20th floor where we had a fantastic view of the city. The room itself was clean, comfortable and spacious enough, although the tv was a little small by Korean standards. Bedroom slippers were provided, as were shower gels, shampoo, cotton buds, sewing kits etc, but you should bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush (though alternatively you could purchase a toothbrush from the hotel for 2000won). The room also had a safety deposit, hairdryer, bathrobe (though a bit mouldy looking) and high speed free wifi, as well as a kettle with free tea bags and coffee mix. We used the gym a couple of times and they had most of the upper body building equipment, although there were no dumbbells. One thing I should highlight is the impeccable service of the staff. We had to print something urgently one night and the reception staff kindly allowed us to use the workstation and printer at the lobby for 5 minutes for free. Also, we had a bouquet of flowers with us, and initially, we had unwrapped it to put it in a bottle of water. However the next day, we returned to find that the housekeeping staff had thrown away the plastic wrapper for the flower. We didn't think much of it until the day of check out, until we decided to take the flowers along. So we called reception to ask if they could provide some plastic/paper wrappers, and they apologised for accidentally throwing the plastic wrapper away. In fact, the housekeeping team actually called back a few minutes later to tell us that they were going to buy a new plastic wrapper for us, and to check with us the size of the bouquet! In 10 minutes, they came to the door with a big plastic sheet and a few ribbons, just in time for us to wrap up the flowers before checking up. We were very much impressed with the prompt and efficient service of the staff and would like to commend the housekeeping team here.

« Hotel may have polite staff but it needs an attitude adjustment. »

    1. We arrived at 10:30 a.m. and asked to check in early. After some confusion at the front desk we were told it would not be possible. We then asked if any rooms were available and we were told yes and if we wanted, early check in would cost 20000 WON. I elected to snooze for an hour on a sofa in the lobby and save the money. 2. Several days into our stay we noticed that a hotel shuttle bus was parked on the street in front of the hotel. When we asked reception why we had not been told about it, the answer we got was that there is a sign on the first floor and we had not asked about the shuttle. Reception is located on the second floor and if a person goes directly to reception when they enter the hotel, like we do, they will never see the sign on the first floor. Why isn't this sign about the shuttle bus at the reception counter? 3. It took two tries to get a burnt out light bub changed. We informed front desk in the morning but it was still burnt out when we came back in the evening. We then unscrewed the bulb and took it to the front desk. A few minutes later a hotel staff member came to the room to see what the problem was. He then called a repair person who installed the new bulb. A somewhat inefficient process... The nickel and dime attitude of the 20000 WON early check in charge really irritated us. Also if you forget your toothbrush or razor don't expect these to be complimentary as in other Best Western hotels. More nickel and dimeing... The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel is within walking distance of city hall. Airport bus stops in front of the hotel. Surrounding area has lots of small shops of every kind from restaurants to light industry.

    « SOUTH KOREA - A LAND OF EXTREMES »

A nice place to stay. Rooms are a good size. A convenient place to stay as transport is accessible. The rooms are airconditioned and internet is free. There is a buffet breakfast . Hotel staff are very courteous. Air-conditioning was not very good especially at night when it seemed to be switched off and when we complained it would be switched on again.

« Very comfortable but not central »

The location of the hotel is a little way away from the busiest areas, however it is very easy to get to the main shopping and tourist areas, either by public transport or on foot. The hotel itself is very pleasing: check-in was quick and easy. The room was a good size, clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and helpful with a good level of English. Breakfast offers a selection of cooked breakfast, cereal, toast, pastries, Korean style breakfast and fruit plus coffee and juices. All in all a very pleasant stay, would recommend to anyone except ultimate luxury seekers.

Hotel with convenient location with limousine service stop direct to the Incheon(won 15000) or Gimpo Airport (Won 7000)right outside. Also a short walk from the nearest metro station. Good quality restaurant serves Korean and Western food. Rooms clean, spacious with good quality furnishings.

Bus from and going to the airport stops right in front of the hotel. Breakfast served was good. Rooms were very clean and spacious, with complimentary kit, slippers, bathrobe and other amenities. Reception staff were also very helpful. I forgot my keys to my luggage and they helped me open it. They also lent me an adaptor to my phone. It is a 15-minute walk to shopping dictricts Myeong-Dong and Dong-daemon.

« Out of town but close to Metro »

I stayed here in March. There is a paid bus service that goes from the airport to the hotel. The reception staff are very friendly and have a mixture of good and very basic English. The hotel is close to metro stations. The rooms are nice and bright and I had a room looking out towards the hills. Breakfast was not included in my deal so I cannot comment on it. Taxis to town and the Main Railway station are cheap. You can walk into town and City Hall in 15-30 mins depending is you are a slow or fast walker. As for people saying there are lots of hardware and shops selling light fittings and light bulbs. There are but they are not overpowering and it brightens up your day :) Free Wifi in hotel.

« Close to subway station »

We had a nice stay here. We took the Airport bus 6015 for W10,000 per person. The ticket booth for the Airport Bus is located next to Gates 4 and 9 inside the arrival floor (1F) and outside next to Gates 4, 6, 7, 8, 11, 13 and 9C. The subway station was pretty close to the hotel, it was less than a five minute walk. They upgraded us to a family room with a king size and single bed. The room was clean and I like that the hardwood floors, I can tell that the floor was clean. I also like that the vanity sink was outside the bathroom. The bathroom was clean and the bathtub was large and deep. They had a mini fridge, electric kettle, tea and coffee in the room. There was also a thin robe, slippers and safe in the room. Definitely a nice stay.

    « Airco not working »

This hotel is in a good location close to an underground station on the circular line. You can actually walk for miles underground if you wish. There are no restaurants nearby. At the time of our visit, the airco system of the hotel had not yet been switched on after the winter. However, the temperature in the room was 27 degrees C and we were unable to bring it down by opening the window. We could not do that during the night anyway because of the noise. This was a disappointing experience in a BEST Western Hotel.

« Location is very good »

We stay in this hotel for one night. The location of this hotel is awesome cause it is in ?Euljiro 4(sa)-ga? station. This station is in Line 2,it's easy to get to everywhere and so many famous place. This hotel also have FREE wifi in your room. One of the doorman in the first floor is really nice, he answer all my question friendly with smile. It really make me feel so great.

    « Great location »

We had a triple room and it worked very well, for our party of three. There was three twin beds in the room. The room was clean as was the lobby and hall ways. The staff were gracious and very helpful. The Limo bus line transfer company stops right in front of the hotel and was very easy to use. There are entrances for the subway within a block. and open air market is very close. I would recommend the breakfast buffet as it worked very well for us. It was quiet and we were not bothered by street noise even when we left the window open at night, I would stay at this property again when in Seoul.

    5
    « Very Satisfactory Accomadations »

Searching for a hotel for three friends traveling together brought us to the Kukdo due to their room with 3 twin beds. Worked perfectly and also having the sink and vanity area outside of the bathroom was an added bonus. One friend came in by car and found the parking garage easily accessible, and the Airport Limo Bus 6015 was the easy solution for us coming from the airport. Worked perfect and literally is right at the front door. The front desk staff all spoke English and were very gracious (as it seems everyone in Seoul is!). The buffet breakfast is extra, but very nice with selections spanning all cultures. It was a good choice and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

« Beware of Extra Charge to Your Credit Card »

I stay at this hotel on November 2015 with my partner for 2 nights. The location was good. Close to subway station and airport bus stop located in front of the hotel. The hotel was clean and value for your money. I would like to give 4-5 rates if there is no extra charge to my credit card. During my check out, the staff told me there will be no extra charge to my credit card since i have paid the hotel by AGODA before i arrived to the hotel. However a month later there is a 1,000 KRW charge to my credit card from the hotel. I even dont know what service that i used so they charge my credit card wothout confirmation.

« Direct from ICN airport »

We chose this hotel because there is a direct Airport Limousine bus 6015 which we could take from Incheon airport. Location-wise, it is quite a distance from the main Myeongdong shopping district. The area is surrounded by lighting and hardware shops. But there is a subway just ahead (Eujiro-3). From the hotel, we walked to the Gwangjang Market for breakfast. Reason for giving a 3-star rating is due to a lack of eateries at the surround.

    « good stay »

Hotel located in middle between Myeongdong shopping area and Gwangjang Market 15 min walking distance away from both. Grocery store next to the hotel otherwise most of the shop are electricity shops. Airport Bus No. 6015 is stopping in front of the hotel entrance and subway is few meters away from the hotel. Reception is on 2nd floor. I booked double bed room which was good on size and clean. The washbasin is on the room corridor not on the bathroom. The only problem it is so noisy as you hear everything on the corridor. As during my stay a family how has 2 rooms was next to my room and they were very annoying as they start shouting and running on early morning.

    4
« Local 5 star rated hotel with Japanese touch »

Local 5 star rated hotel, International 4 star rated. Location is outside of all the tourist places, subway station is less than 2 mins away. There are two 24 hours convenience stores nearby, one next to the hotel, the other bigger one is about 3-5 mins walk away. Airport Limousine bus stop (for services 6015 10,000 won to Incheon International airport and 6021 to Gimpo International airport) is directly infront of hotel and at the beginning of a loop, if you are heading to the airport, you be assure of a seat. The airport limousine bus will reject passengers (with luggages) when the cargo hold is filled up and that happens mainly from Myeongdong stops onwards (which is after the hotel). It takes about 80 mins from the hotel to reach the airport. The subway underground mall can link you to many places and shelter you from the cold, rain or sun. Do explore the underground link to make life better for yourself. Hotel location is surrounded by hardware and lighting shops. There is nothing much within the immediate vicinity but walk one station away and you reach Dongdaemun. The underground mall is worth exploring for local way of life. There is a local dry produce market across the subway entrance. Hotel is clean and modern with Japanese touch. Level 2 Front desk and concierge is kind of straight faced and not exactly friendly to help. Hotel is very strict on check in timing, we arrive at 12pm and were told to come back after 2pm. Front desk didn't even bother to check if any rooms were available. We asked for old used newspaper to wrap some fragile items and were rejected. The scotch tape that we asked for, was recorded onto the system to make sure we return it ! Bell boys on first floor are very friendly. Hotel do not provide free toothbrush (it's chargeable) but provides toothpaste. There are many power sockets within the room, all will require the adapter which the hotel housekeeping would send to you without any deposit. Hotel is worth the comfort if you are willing to travel abit and don't expect much service. Ask for rooms that do not face the office building, you can literally see the people working there and vice versa. == General Note == Most Korean hotels do not provide toothbrush and toothpaste (some do give toothpaste though). Most places including public transport are not elderly or disabled friendly. From and to the airport, it is better to use airport bus than the subway, the subway stations are not luggage friendly. The lift in the subway is reserved for the elderly and disabled. There is only one lift and is usually located far away. Good if you can speak some Mandarin, you have higher chance of communicating with a Korean who can speak Mandarin. English is not widely understood.

« with a view on Seoul Tower and old part of the city »

Very good localization. In front of this hotel there is a airport limousine bus stop, 50 m away metro station. Absolutely a stone throw main attractions. 300 the Seoul Lantern Festival - must see in the evening. One big minus of this hotel- breakfast. It is served till 10 AM but at 9:30 there is very little on the buffet and at 9:50 waiters are taking all the stuff away. So if you come to breakfast at 9:50 you will find clean table. The price of breakfast is about $20 pp. Very bad value to money. I have never met such situation before.

The hotel situted in the very good location. Only less than 50 steps to subway. The room is clean and bed is comfy. Bathroom is bit small but clean. Reasonable price and the service is nice. The hotel interior is not luxury style, its more into business downtown hotel. Recommended for those who like to stay in decent clean hotel with good locayion.

« 20-30mins walk to Myeongdong and near underground »

The best point is Airport Bus station just in front of hotel and the underground station also nearby. You can take about 20-30mins walk to shopping centre-Myeongdong and Dongdaemun. However, if you feel hungry at night, only one convenience shop beside the hotel, no more resturant nearby. The room is clean but not too big, one bottle of still water provide every day for each person. Free wifi in room.

    « Good hotel »

Good hotel, clean rooms and nice staff with good english. Location is average, a bit dark around the hotel at night - but did not have any problems with that. As it did not include breakfast and there is not much around the hotel, had to walk a bit every morning to find a decent coffee shop. Overall experience was good for a really good price! Would only recommend at least checking other hotels - closer to myeong dong for instance.

« Pleasant Evening, Excellent Value »

Our stay at the hotel was just for 1 night so we didn't have to travel back and forth between our home and Seoul (1.5 hours each way). We were able to explore Seoul better and enjoy a relaxing night at this hotel. The hotel is immaculate, and the staff is very friendly. We showed up 3 hours before check-in hoping to just drop off our bags at the concierge. They were able to get both our rooms ready and check us in within 10 minutes of arriving. For the price, this hotel can't be beat. The only word of caution is the location. There is NOTHING within walking distance, and the views are horrendous. That being said, a 10 minute subway ride in any direction will get you to some very popular tourist destinations in Seoul. Subway station is only a 1 minute walk from the hotel.

    « Nice Affordable Hotel »

Best Western Premier Kukdo was a decent hotel at an affordable price. I stayed in a twin room for two nights. Upon arrival, the staff on the first floor was very welcoming and warm. On the second floor at the check-in counter, the staff were nonchalant. There was no expression, only business. Check-in and go to your room. The location was fantastic! The subway is near the hotel and it is very easy to get a taxi on the street the hotel is on. There are many places to visit and restaurants to experience near the hotel. My room was small for a twin room but comfortable and clean. I did not try the food at the hotel but the hotel restaurant looked very clean with a nice layout. Overall, there was nothing spectacular about the hotel except the location. After a long day, don't expect to be greeted warmly by the front desk. The staff was not welcoming. Although, I only stayed at this hotel for two nights, I would stay here again. My experience was not welcoming considering the staff but I was there for a short time.

« I will not question the hotel's integrity but it sure is suspicious »

I stayed in the hotel recently from 22 Sept to 27 Sept 2015. Having lived in Seoul previously, I must say that the location of this hotel is a rather convenient. It is about 10 min - 15min walk to Myeongdong and about 10 min walk to Dongdaemun. You have to walk past hardware stores/lighting stores to get to those places but it is generally safe in Seoul. I was initially looking at other hotels around the area but felt that the direct Limo bus (6015) sending me right to the doorstep, subway Lines 2 and 5 were of convenience to me. The conseige is on the first floor and you have to go to the second floor to check-in. Check-in was efficient and staff could speak good English. I was amazed when I saw a young lady telling the check-in staff that she has left her headphones in the room after check-out and here to retrieve it. However, the hotel staff kept insisting that there was nothing found in the room. In the end, she gave up asking for her headphones. I was not led up to the room and had to go there myself. A little surprised but such lack of service. However, I am not that particular as my luggage was not heavy. My booking did not come with breakfast and I must say that it is not easy to find food in the vicinity. You could find some convenient store but that's about it. Bed was rather comfortable but pillows were soft. Overall, I could sleep well at night. Check-out was efficient. However, when I reached home, I could not find my travel adaptor. I have checked every corner of my luggage and bag and realized that I have forgotten to remove it from the room. I was charging my mobile the night before. I wrote an email to the hotel and they told me they could not find it. It then dawned upon me the check-in "missing" headphone incident. I will not question the hotel's integrity but it sure is suspicious. What's Good: 1. From a location perspective, it is good. What's Bad: 1. Price is a little steep for a hotel that needs a little make over. 2. Honesty, or the lack of it from hotel staff. Overall experience: Average stay. Will not recommend.

    3
« Hotel near the subway... »

Stayed in this hotel with 2 nearby subway station. Eulji-ro 3 Ga. One stop away from Dongdemun and 2 stops to Myeondong. It is a clean hotel and walking distance to two markets. Namely the Chungbu (wholesale dried fish etc) and Hwanjiang market - places to eat for dinner... A good experience. The hotel is located nearby the electrical lighting shops along the way. At least 2-e convenient shops.. With airport bus stopping infront of the hotel Won10,000 to Incheon airport every 20mins interval.

« staff provide wrong information make me pay $700 US dollar for uncatched flight and sleep at airport. »

this is a 4 star hotel, i booked this hotel August 27 -31 before i travel to Europe because i hope the staff have good English communication since this is the first time i travel in Seoul. I did not have time to write comment to the hotel until i came back home yesterday. I had 12:40pm midnight airplane flight to Paris at Sept 1, and i ask the front desk staff when is the last time the airport shuttle at the hotel leave? and she answer me 10:30 , so i leave luggage at hotel and come back around 9pm, the luggage keeper told me in fact the last shuttle bus to airport is 8:20 and i have to pay by myself 80 US dollar taxi to hotel, and they don't want to take any responsibility for that. I asked them if there is anymore choice, they told me another wrong information again, which is i take taxi to Seoul Station and take airport express train to airport. When I arrived Seoul Station, the last express airport train already gone. I was crying I carried 2 luggage alone and did not know how to do, and Seoul Station Security was very nice and communicated to the taxi driver take me to airport, but it was already too late i miss my airplane....So i sleep at airport first time for my entire life, and next day i pay extra US 700 dollars to buy another airplane seat to Europe. I can not understand why a 4 star hotel give me wrong important information to customer twice and had very cold attitude. I paid much more money to book Best Western because i think they should have better staff quality, but it is the worst worst experience i had ever in my life for now!
