BW Signature Collection
Been coming here for several years. All the rooms have been recently reno'd, very clean and updated. Large well equipped pool area, dining tables plus 6 large covered cabanas with side curtains, lounge sofas and coffee tables. Good wifi. Grocery store across the street and dining nearby. Staff is great.
I've stayed here twice in the last four years, and both times the hotel was clean and quiet, with a wonderful pool area. My first sentence was succinct, so this sentence is to fill the remainder of the requisite two hundred plus characters.
Hotel Bixby was very well situated for the meetings I needed to attend. Pictures are deceiving, as the rooms were much smaller than pictured, amenities not open (lounge, breakfast area), and facilities with reduced hours. Yet clean, well maintained and has great potential.
Exterior dirty. Sparsely and cheaply furnished. Exposed plumbing pipes in some rooms. Linens worn and thread-bare. No extra pillows or blankets. Malodorous. Drinking and smoking outside rooms. Website images much more appealing than actual hotel condition.
Terrible value for the money. Old building with a very badly done remodell. Very uncomfortalbe beds no water pressure. Best Western should be ashamed for having their name associated with this property.
The room was clean, no carpet! The bathroom was clean. Lots of storage, great towels. The pool area was clean and inviting. The staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely return if in the area. The bed could have been more comfortable.
Room not ready when we arrived (well after check in time). Another room quickly assigned. Room was quite large (with separate "lounging area") and 2 TVs. The bathroom was rather small, but OK (however, there was "something" hanging from the ceiling-not sure WHAT, and the toilet seat was not completely clean). Room itself was pretty clean except for the window ledges). THE TWO QUEEN BEDS WERE VERY COMFORTABLE AND CLEAN/FRESH. The location was not that convenient for what we wanted (almost in Tempe...nowhere near restaurants, etc.) We did not partake of the "boxed" breakfast because we wanted a full breakfast.
The Welcome Desk gentleman was very helpful. Room are just "OK". Some mold in the shower which was 1/2 door ( European style) . Lots of noisy people around us yelling in their cell phones. Towels very thin. Ok for one night, they have heated pool and people were in it. Seemed clean. Breakfast was a take away only and was filled with carbs and sweets. You order via a completely limited menu and a woman who was less than happy to be there handed it to you.
Looks like a renovated retro boutique hotel from the late 60's early 70's with a central pool patio area. Location is really convenient with a decent size parking lot. Rooms are on the smaller side with Microwave oven, Fridge/freezer, and coffee maker. Freezer needed to be defrosted as the bottom was covered with ice. Microwave oven was convenient, worked well enough, but noisy. The coffee was so stale that I think it was left over from the re-opening. Bathroom on the other hand was on the larger side and provided space for our bags. No shower door on the stall, which wasn't too much of a problem since the flow from the head wasn't that great. It did take a few minutes for the hot water to arrive, so you may want to start your shower early while you do something else. If staying here I would suggest getting the top floor, we could here every step of the people above us, which made us very conscious of our steps while walking around in our room. Really felt sorry for those who were below us. The Grab and Go breakfast was free! That's it! You get 2 choices and something to drink. Frozen micro sandwich, yogurt cup, piece of fruit, or a muffin, without variation. Our stay wasn't bad, but I did expect better for what we paid.
An unpleasant place in an unsavory location. Trying to stay relevant but passed that mark a long time ago. Encountered transients sleeping in the out door elevator at early morning checkout because site is not properly secured. Shower enclosure in room only provides half cover. TV screen small and unable to be rotated for better viewing if desired. Restaurant only open early hours of day.
This fairly new remodel of the Bixby BW is a good choice, both for price and warm, welcoming staff. The rooms, which are not carpeted, offer plenty of storage both in the main room and the bathroom. Our king room had cubbies everywhere, plus closet and nightstands. Book lights that bend to your needs were also welcome. Plenty of outlets and charging areas add to the convenience. Downsides that seem to follow this brand include three pillows for two people, not enough towels and only one bar of soap (our last BW had no conditioner, just shampoo). But staff were quick to hand out more towels and pillows when asked (we didn't bother with the soap) and were very happy to help with anything we needed. Outdoor pool is heated. Although there are outdoor entrances and steps, there is also an elevator. Breakfast is a grab-and-go, but you have choices of what goes in there. You choose your beverage, a breakfast sandwich, a muffin, a type of yogurt, etc. Pets are Not allowed, nor is smoking. There are plenty of hotel choices in this area; we chose this one based on price and location, as well as ratings.
Perfectly adequate room. The price seemed high for the quality. Plenty of room for luggage. Nice microwave. Nice check-in staff. They kept a $100 deposit which will be returned. I do not like this practice. I know it is common but I don't think it is fair to keep money beyond the time frame I am there. I would be fine with a room inspection at check-out. It is a hassle to check my credit card to see that it was indeed refunded. Especially when they state it can take up to 7 days. What are they doing with peoples money in the meantime? Floating it in investments? I have no idea, but I don't agree with it.
For the price, this was a disappointing accommodation. The most important thing is the property grounds were not super clean (disposed of food/beverage/garbage on the property grounds), and our room wasn't either. Furthermore, this property is NOT located in Old Town Scottsdale. That is just untrue. This property IS located conveniently near restaurants, bars, strip clubs, pawn shops, used auto dealers and check cashing places. The floors in our room were not clean, and neither was the bathroom. I wanted to change hotels, but since we were only staying two nights, my husband talked me out of it. I know during Covid times employers are having difficulty finding staff. I totally get that. But this room definitely put a damper on our trip.
Recently stayed here at this hotel. As far as why it's getting 2 stars and not 1 is because this is due to the fact our room was nice and functional. Good location, and not bad for the value. You get a microwave and a more than decent size refrigerator which is not common nowadays. So you get what you pay for, there are worst options for the price. As for the negative side this is the concern we had at our stay. The night employee that is at the front desk, his name is Paul. He is an older gentlemen with short white hair for reference. He is one of the rudest and unprofessional employees I ever had to deal with for a Best Western property. Frankly I am surprised he is employed still at this location if he treats his guests the way he treated us. On one of the evening my roommates key was not working which by the way, our keys deactivated 4 times total in our 3 night stay there. She went to the front desk where Paul was and told him his key was not working and he interrogated her and made her feel like a piece of garbage. I don't know if it was because it was late at night or her appearance. But he was asking her things like I don't know your staying here, how do I know you didn't steal this key. First off, the key had the room # and an envelope with our room # on it. Secondly, he could've easily let him open the room and she could've shown proof in the room she was a guest. Even if he had reservations, you shouldn't treat a guest like a criminal and rudely the way he did. He asked her to leave the premises like a worthless person and she ended up crying and having to go to another person she knew was staying in the city luckily for that evening. The second instance where Paul was a less than stellar employee was I had lost my cell phone on the 2nd evening there as it slid in between the seats of an Uber we took. The Uber driver came out of his way to bring my phone to Paul and Paul would not take the phone. Again I don't know if it was because of the Uber driver's appearance but he again incriminated him asking how do I know that phone is his (mine) phone? When it clearly has my name on it and the driver GAVE HIM MY FULL NAME which is on the reservation. He could have looked up my name and found me in the system then just kept the phone in the lost and found they have there on site. I would have gone and checked with them in the morning. But no, he turned him away and I had to make arrangements to get a hold of the Uber driver to retrieve my phone the following day. Bottom line, the day time staff was extremely friendly and attentive. They did everything as I would expect at a BW property to the letter. For instance Ashley who I raised the concern with the last day was extremely nice and accommodated my roommate for her last day stay and let her stay in our room. However if you ever have to deal with Paul at night, you will be in for a rude awakening as far as the poor customer service and incriminating and uncomfortable behavior that this man exhibits. I really do hope they reprimand this man or terminate him as this kind of behavior should not be something Best Western would condone.

This the second time staying at this location. Color scheme is bright and the pool area is nice with several private areas to relax. Modern oversized rooms-we had two queen beds/couch with chaise seating. Room had two tv's!
A nice pool area, It was quiet, the room faced toward the courtyard and good parking. There are several Casual dinning options, all of them loud and busy that required driving. The hotel used to have a restaurant and it would make traveling easier if they did again.
First time here at the Bixby. The family and I just had a one night stay and we had to leave early in the morning. The parking and rooms overall were just fine. We selected rooms on the first level so my elderly father-in-law didn't have to navigate the stairs although they did have an elevator. The only bummer is that in the showers for both our rooms the shower faucet were mis-labeled and what should be hot is cold and what should be cold is hot and that caused some issues for us in the morning. Other than that our stay was fine.
Happy to have found this quirky gem. Will remember to book via Best Western next time to earn loyalty points. Clean and quiet during a Sunday-through-Wednesday stay. Pool and hot tub areas impressive. COVID-era breakfast comparable to other hotel chains. Restaurants, grocery store and Dunkin' within walking distance. Only quibble: both in-room and breakfast/lobby coffee tasted lousy to me.
Room was nice and quiet. No hot water and only a frozen prepackaged sandwich for breakfast. Check out staff was lackadaisical. Also, as a Best Western platinum member I should have gotten a treat and a water. I'm not complaining as the price was cheap - less than $100 and i only stayed one night. But this was not the caliber of other properties.
I love staying in Scottsdale whenever I visit Phoenix. This little gem, although right on the street, was very comfortable and quiet. The area, although busy, struck me as being clean and safe. Will stay here again.
I was looking forward to staying here. First look this is a retro hotel with a lot of charm. Checkin was efficient, room on first floor, noisy at times Overall nice room, did not see any literature or hotel map . Shower design looks unfinished.
This hotel never disappoints. The rooms all have a microwave and mini fridge. The rooms have always been very clean and I've yet to find a nicer hotel in the phoenix metro in the same price range. There was unfortunately a very disturbing group of guests in the room above nine who eventually got the police involved but i know better than to blame that on the hotel. Stay here and be happy that you made a solid choice!
We didn't arrive until midnight and was greeted with a friendly smile and attitude. Paul, the attendant was one of the owners. He went out of his way to take us outside and showed us the elevator and our room location. It says hotel but it's really a motel. The pool area was very well laid out with cabanas and hot tub The breakfast was a grab and go from a local attached restaurant. It was different but good. The breakfast sandwiches were frozen and had to be microwaved. No big deal. He ate by the pool Room was very clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. Very affordable and highly recommended
Place has been remodeled and they did a great job. Nicely done bathroom, lots of storage in room and bathroom. Large refrigerator in room too! Friendly staff, nice surroundings and outdoor seating. Great price and close to everything Phoenix and Scottsdale.
My family and I enjoyed our stay here really clean and a relaxed environment! Excelente service I would recommend it to everyone.! Will be coming back when we travel to the Phoenix areas. They have a lot of good restaurants nearby and it's located on a good spot !
On the outside it's looks like a plain decent hotel but on the inside it is neat with updated furniture and awesome art. Room was spacious and location was awesome. The price was affordable. Would definitely stay here again!
Room was very spacious (may have been a disability room, so not sure if all the rooms are this large) with a lounge area, microwave, fridge and 2 TVs. Furnishings were updated and in good condition, plenty of outlets, wifi connection was fine, room was quiet. The pool and outdoor lounge area is inviting with plenty of shady areas and lounge chairs. Housekeeping wasn't provided for a 2-day stay. Breakfast was 'grab and go' of prepackaged items stuffed into a paper bag that you have to pick up from the deserted restaurant, but at least they are still offering the option of breakfast items.
This hotel is within a quick drive of many exciting attractions. Hotel staff very polite and helpful. There is a large pool, hot tub, and covered cabanas. Only issue was all the tree debris in pool and on lounges. Room was on top floor (3) which we were told were renovated. It was adequate in size & nicely furnished. Bed was comfortable. However, bathroom had draw storage vs a countertop for toiletries. It had a large glass shower ,no tub, but it was only a half glass door that was stationary. We did not like turning on shower and regulating water temp from inside the shower. Had all amenities and plenty of storage. Due to COVID breakfast options were frozen and we needed to nuke them and eat in our room. Not easy and certainly awkward. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Great value,
From the outside, we didn't expect much, but our room was first class. Spacious room with a couch/sitting area, nice comfy beds, very clean. A great value. Good sleep quality, nice and quiet evening. Very nicely done room
Checked in kinda late. Paul the front desk clerk was very helpful and informative. It's an older property that has been refurbished simply and stylishly. It's got a slight mid century modern feel. It's not expensively appointed but it looks modern, clean and cool. If only more outdated hotels could learn from this model. Yea win-win for everyone. Bottom line: excellent combination of price, aesthetic, cleanliness and cool.
We so enjoyed our 5 day stay at Hotel Bixby. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was on top of things as well as the front lobby staff. Pool area was amazing! Great seating choices for sun worshippers and shade seekers! Will definitely stay here again! Breakfast was not good ( I blame covid). Plenty of close options though, Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts.
Very nice would go back again. Didnt expect the rooms to be spacious and elegant looking that was a plus for me. Friends really liked it as well. Customer service was perfect as well. Parking was easy to find as well.
Checked in very late and the front desk person, Paul, was waiting and knew my name. I had some problems with points and he straightened it out. The shower design in the room is weird and stupid. They need to redesign that concept.
Front desk staff was awesome! Went above and beyond to help me find a room while everything was sold out so that I wouldn't have to move last minute with all of my belongings. The breakfast is much better then any other hotels I've visited during COVID.
I enjoyed my stay, the free breakfast was great for my family. The room was very clean and was everything I expected. It was within driving distance of everywhere we wanted to go and needed to go. I plan on staying here again next time I am out this way.
Pool was super cold they turned off heater. Cabana was lovely. Room was spacious except bathroom was small with challenging shower entrance and low water pressure. Floor was uneven and felt like you might fall down. Thin walls, some traffic noice. A few homeless wondering down the sidewalk and one into lobby that was a little concerning. Hotel staff was on it. Staff friendly and helpful. Grab and go breakfast was a frozen breakfast sandwich with small serving drinks.
Excellent hotel. Great pool & hot tub. Clean grounds. Clean rooms. Helpful friendly staff. Great beds and pillows. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants a home away from home. Can't complain about anything!
Nice attempt at “industrial” style decor. Clean and modern - a great value. Some guests partying until 2am. Although they were conversing at a fairly normal volume, the walls are thinner than typical motels.
The lady at the front desk went beyond and above. I had trouble purchasing a bottle of water in their vending machine and I went at the front desk to inform them. The lady at the front desk apologized and said she has an extra bottle of water and that I can take it with me. Keep up the good work!
The pool and hot tub are immaculate and actually usable pool is about 88 degrees (at least it feels like it) easy for kids to actually PLAY in. Beds are so comfortable, they are easy to work with (no crabby employees) overall a great homey feeling. The pictures displayed are exactly what you get. The RESTRAUNT is NOT open. a to go bag breakfast of your choice. Food city, Starbucks, gas station and others within walking distance.
The private bathrooms were bigger then expected and I enjoyed the two T.V's in the double queen bedroom. The hot tub was a nice touch to a long day! Will definitely be staying here again and referring to family!
Great location, recently remodeled in a classic modern Style, luxurious pool area, welcoming desk staff. Seriously can't say enough good things. Breakfast is takeaway frozen egg sandwiches, juice, cup of fruit, several other typical breakfast items. Good virus precautions.
This rating is based on experience with staff, not the hotel! Group of university students from out of town visiting Scottsdale for the weekend. An otherwise really enjoyable weekend at the Bixby ruined after 3 of us were racially profiled by the front desk clerk after they lost their key on the way back from a night out. 3 of the girls who were together realized they did not have their room key when their Uber arrived at the hotel before mine did. They tried to go to the lobby to wait for me and the front desk clerk initially allowed them in the building and let them sit down to wait for my Uber. Evidently, he believed they were waiting to leave and after 10 min he began to ask them questions and realized they were waiting on someone to arrive (which was me), and at this point, he started saying they needed to leave the hotel premises and even called security on them. He told them he felt "unsafe" and refused to believe they were staying at the hotel, forcing them to stand outside and off of the property at 4 am! He kept urging them to leave, though they could not because their keys were locked in the hotel room and that I (the person on the reservation) was literally minutes away in an Uber. When I arrived minutes after they were kicked out of the lobby to let them in the room, I asked the front desk clerk what happened. Firstly, he made it a point to let me know I was being recorded, which let me know that he felt intimidated by my presence despite me being 5'3 120lbs. He went on to try and tell me that "none of them were wearing masks so [he] felt unsafe." This was a lie because they had to wear a mask to be allowed in the building. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with this experience that could have been handled much differently---without humiliating these young girls by berating them and forcing them to wait outside the hotel they had been staying at for the past two days. And all because he believed they were somehow not telling the truth or up to no good. Do better.
We had some points to use and it was either this place or by the airport and I did not want to stay near the airport. It was 12,000 points used. We were both happy I chose this one. It is near the freeway. There are 3 floors with an elevator and stairs to use looking onto the pool area. There is a big veranda with covering outside the pool gates and inside the pool area they have table and chairs with umbrellas to keep you out of the sun, with little areas with curtains in between them and comfy looking furniture. The pool was very relaxing and is 3-6 feet deep, there is a hot tub( watch the last step, it is a big one). We had a king size bed( the frame was bigger than the mattress, so we kept walking into it) there is a desk with chair and a medium size frig with micro wave, closet and pantry space was good, 2 night stands and over the bed lighting( also reading lights, so you don't disturb your mate). The bathroom was a good size, there is 1 glass door that goes half way on the shower, there is 2 shower heads, a hand held one and a big shower head, you can use either, it took awhile to get hot water in the shower, but once there it was nice. Not enough towels for us though. Breakfast is from the restaurant next door, you get your choice of 1 drink and 2 breakfast items. The drinks are coffee, juice, hot cocoa and then the breakfast items are bagel, muffin, fruit, cold cereals, little mini breakfast sandwiches and oatmeal, you let them know what you want and they get it all ready so you can take it back to your room and either eat it inside or on their little fenced in patio(1st floor only), it has a small table and 2 chairs to sit on, it was nice to sit out here in the evening. There is a $100.00 deposit that is NOT mentioned on their web site. The a/c was real good. It was a nice get away
Nice place, staff was very helpful and friendly, grounds were clean and pool was enjoyable. Would defiantly recommend and also stay their again, if you are ever in Scottsdale give it a try. looking forward to a return trip soon.
The staff where very rude i think because my wife and i are young and due to the trash that frequent there hotel they just assumed that we fell in that category cause we are not 50+ years old other then the staff i liked the rooms and pool areas
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel last week and will definitely be back. The location was ideally located for easy access to everything we were doing. The room was clean and nicely furnished. We also enjoyed the heated pool, hot tub and outdoor lounging area. Highly recommend!
We wanted a hotel in a good location with easy access from the airport due to late arrival and early departure, not far to Salt River Fields, with nearby restaurants and grocery stores. Hotel Bixby worked out great. Limited breakfast options at the breakfast bar, so we ate light some days, went out other days. Pool and hot tub were great.
We stayed the last week of February while we were in town for Spring Training. The room was quite small and rather dark. It was clean but there was a smell in the room that reminded me of dirty bedding or stale air. The bed was comfortable however the pillows were not. They should invest in a more standard hotel pillow and get rid of the cheap $4 Walmart pillows. We had our room cleaned every day but we inevitably got stuck with faded worn out pillow cases that had a yellowish tinge to it. Very off putting. We were on a bottom floor and heard the people above us morning and night. Stomping, walking, rolling things across the floor, dropping things. It was very loud and very annoying. You can also hear traffic from the road. The pool and hot tub were amazing. Very clean and very warm and refreshing. Our first night there I asked my husband if we could stay somewhere else. I initially thought it was a bit seedy but after meeting the other guests and seeing the type of clientele, I felt better about our stay. Over all, I would stay here again if they took care of some of the above mentioned issues.
Not sure why this motel is part of the signature collection, yes it is old, decorated with Ikea furniture along with squeaky floor and uncaring staff, the are better BW in town, look elsewhere ,noisy highway out front,
We booked the Bixby having no previous knowledge of the facility. Excellent. Our room was small but it was my error in booking. The outdoor pool facilities were better than most other hotels we've stayed at in the Phoenix area.....impressive!
Arrived late afternoon after long ride from Northern Arizona TUBA CITY--able to decompose easily Room spacious well designed proximity to all our events Old Town, Botanical Gardens, Taliese West Plenty of food choices in area Pool and hot tub nice extra Fitness clean and enough machines for all muscle groups Only drawback restaurant for breakfast-we went elsewhere after first morning --- BUT did not go for breakfast hotel worth the cost and would DEFINITELY book again if in area
We arrived not expecting much. We were pleasantly surprised to find this hotel had some nice amenities. The room was larger with a seating area, decent sized refrigerator, microwave oven, Keurig style coffee maker, up-to-date furnishings and comfy beds. The whole property looks like it had been recently refurbished. We enjoyed our stay. Very friendly staff.
Room was expensive thin walls heard other rooms all night bed sucked doesn't describe the bed! Huge exposed pipes all over the ceiling not appealing. Parking was crap had to park on the opposite side of the hotel and carry everything
Hotel Bixby is an older hotel that has been nicely updated. Easy access to airport and shopping. Quiet with solid walls. Nice hot tub. One small drawback, the soap provided is of very poor quality. Bring your own bar of soap.
The room was clean and there's a pool and hot tub in the center of the complex. Unfortunately, the walls are thin and we could here on all sides. The all white room looks outfitted with IKEA and it seemed to be a makeover of an old facility. Many other hotels are near by, probably offering breakfast and a nicer quality. if I was going to stay in this area again I would probably be willing to pay more for better accomodations
Great location! Staff and service in all areas was amazing. The site was very clean! You can tell the staff take pride in their jobs and the location. The area is relaxing and quiet. I would highly recommend.
Great comfortable room ✔ Great area close to airport and downtown, lots of attractions in area ✔ Resturant connected to hotel with great food.✔ Beautiful sparkling swimming pool and lounge area ✔ Fitness center ✔
the hotel was a very clean facility, with friendly staff, and was in a good location to major roads, the outdoor pool looked very clean, hotel was located in a nice quiet area, restaurants located nearby.
This hotel is now run under the Best Western brand, and the all the rooms are fully renovated. The hotel is about 1/4 the size that it used to be for those that remember it as the Hospitality Inn and Suites and no more kitchens. Each room has a decent sized fridge and a microwave, work desk, large wall mounted TV good sized bathrooms mine only had walk in shower-which suited my needs- with one fixed and one removable shower head, room had a good sized closet with ample hangers and containing 3-4 shelves...no dresser or drawers which didn't bother me, as well as a closet type piece in the bathroom. Ample room for storing luggage etc. I had a chair in the room, and the "office" type chair at the workdesk. I was on the 3rd floor and I would agree with an earlier review that it took several minutes for the hot water to kick in both shower and sink, but when it did kick in it was hot and plentiful. The king bed was comfortable and in my case 3 pillows of varying firmness, not sure if that is by design or luck. Smaller hot tub, which quite honestly wasn't very hot, and a decent sized pool, nice looking and functional sitting areas around the pool, and outside the pool area. Although the hotel was very quiet and I didn't see anyone sitting around the pool area. I didn't go into the restaurant (Jaxons) so can't comment on the breakfast, which is included in some rates. or you can opt out of the breakfast rate. It is also open for lunch and dinner apparently and my understanding is an independent operation simply located on hotel property. In-room safe, couple of lamps and recessed LED lights in room and bathroom....quite bright so I essentially used the lamps. The "secured" internet worked well although as mentioned the hotel was very quiet during my stay, so can't comment on speed if hotel is busy. Check-in and out was quick, I had a package delivered to the hotel and they gave it to me immediately at check in. Staff friendly. My room was exceptionally clean. Housekeeping staff were very good and responded to my requests w/o question. It is a basic but decent hotel, newly painted blue and white exterior. Main floor rooms had sitting area right outside the room, a couple of chairs and a table, which could be nice, 2nd and 3rd floor rooms have one window facing exterior walkway and pool area.
This hotel has been renovated, is super clean, in a good area and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this place tell anyone. We will definitely be staying here in the future. It's a great bang for your buck!
Stayed here for two nights while in Scottsdale. Located right on the main road into town. Pub style restaurant right next door. Nice pool and hot tub area - we used the tub in December. Rooms are large and clean. Very quiet and all rooms face the courtyard. Friendly staff and housekeeping does a good job. They are new to Best Western and were not sure about the Go Green Rewards so I'm still waiting for that - had to show it to them. Advertise laundry on the web page but there is none on site. No complimentary anything but would probably stay here again just because it was convenient to town.
Really enjoyed this little jewel. Have past it many times, very glad to add it to my go to when in town. Hotel is in excellent condition, love the courtyard area and the way the rooms face the pool area. Bottom floors have cute little patio, perfect to sit out and enjoy that morning coffee. I travel with my own Keurig coffee maker, nice surprise to see they have them in the rooms. Meet Paul the owner, speaking with him you can see he cares very much about his hotel and it shows in the appearance of the lobby, courtyard and the rooms. This now my go to place to stay when I'm in Scottsdale.
We stayed here a total of 5 nights and found the overall value decent. All rooms are located inside the courtyard with exterior entry ways. Had an elevator. Narrow corridors so when the cleaning staff have there carts, you cannot get by with your cart (example checking inn or out) Overall stay was okayt, It was quiet while we were there and rooms were big enough. Bed was comfy, had a bigger fridge and air conditioning worked perfectly. Cleaning staff was good although the first day we noticed a large 12 inch hair in our shower. Rooms were recently remodlled a couple years ago but this is a old facility. We were on the 3rd floor and hot water was an issue. Took about 3 minutes to get hot water to shower or turn the sink also on at the same time and get it in about 1 1/2 minutes. Hot tub was at best warm. Front Office Manager needs a personality and needs to show his guests that he can smile. Best part of stay was the bed and air conditioning as well it was quiet. They offered free breakfast next door at the restaurant Jaxon's to any person that booked through Best Western, however I don't think is going to last long.
Stayed here 3 nights with my husband for a wedding in Mesa and due to close proximity to airport. This is not your run of the mill fancy hotel - more like a very nice, modern motel with hipster decor. Excellent value overall - clean, modern style rooms, nice pool, and good location. The hotel is connected to a restaurant/bar (husband went once for a drink), and there is also a fitness room (opted to hike nearby instead at South Mt. & Camelback). No complaints, highly recommend - would definitely stay here again!
Have stayed at this hotel prior to becoming a BW; when it was a Hospitality Inn. Rates were good; now is a Best western, has hot breakfast, fitness...Close to Old Town (about 5 minutes by car). Hot tub could have been warmer.
I stay with Best Western whenever possible because I like their breakfasts. This is kind of Best Western, so I gave them a chance. I didn't get a free breakfast because I did not pay extra for it! Stupid!
