Best Western Plus
The hotel is modern (likely built in 2016) and is within 6km (3.7 mi) from Schiphol airport, The rooms and decor are not fancy, but quite contemporary in style. We stayed in a family room and these not only have a sofa bed in addition to the two twin beds, but also a small kitchenette area with a small cooktop, sink and microwave oven. However, the fridge is a typically tiny mini-bar type and in our room, there were no pots, pans, dishes or utensils. We stayed in only one night, and so weren't fussed enough to ask about this. As noted in other reviews, do note that the hotel is located in a business park area in Schiphol-Rijk and there is very little in the vicinity that is easily accessible on foot, unlike the other Best Western airport hotel near Schiphol (see below). We (two adults, a five- and a two-year-old) ended up walking to the Radisson Blu Amsterdam Airport for dinner at the very nice Otium restaurant there. The walk was nice in the summer time - 500m or about a third of a mile - but maybe not so much in the rain and the winter. DO NOTE: the shuttle runs only every 40 minutes as it is a city-sized bus and make sure to get on the WHITE BUS labelled Best Western and NOT the orange one, also labeled Best Western. They both stop in the same A9-A13 stop outside of Arrivals at the airport. The orange bus goes to the Best Western Amsterdam Airport, which is 3km (2mi) away - an eternity if one has luggage and children. We ended up waiting 20 minutes for a rather expensive taxi ride to the "correct" Best Western. When it came time to take the bus to the airport, the bus left without us as it departed from the hotel 5 minutes early, even though the driver saw me hauling luggage out of the front door. The staff were apologetic, but explained that the drivers will never turn around, even if they have left early. This necessitated our taking another rather expensive Uber ride to Schiphol and is the principal reason I have rated the hotel "Average". All in all, the hotel is OK for short stays if you need to be near the airport (like us), but unless you've rented a car, there's very little around the hotel and the shuttle bus experience is not ideal.
We selected this hotel for it's proximity to the Amsterdam Airport. It was conveniently located and the accommodations were just what we expected. We took the shuttle into the airport early in the morning and it worked out well.
May be suitable for a business lay over but falls short for a family stay. They do provide a shuttle service through the neighboring Radisson Hotel van. The hotel is a short ride from the airport and is located in a commercial complex with absolutely nothing around it. No restaurants. No shops. Nothing. We exited the shuttle dead tired only to find out that the only food that could be had was either at the nearby Radisson Hotel or room service. We opted for the room service menu. Food was not that hot when we picked it up. Not that great either. More on the average side. Our room was comfortable. Nothing extraordinary. Suitable for a business person who just needs to sleep. What we did not like was the fact that both sides of the hallway to our room were riddled with big, black scuff marks as if something really oversized had been dragged down the hall. It's details like that that make you wonder about all sorts of quality issues. The attached photos are the best of the walls. I could not get the worst walls as the lighting was too dark. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Because we left early in the morning the next day, they agreed to make us breakfast bags to go. I assumed we would get a breakfast sandwich, a pastry, and a drink. The bag contained a mix of all sorts of rather interesting items like an unripe pear, a huge container of yogurt, etc. Not very practical. We stayed here because we are Rewards members, but quite frankly, I would not recommend a stay here unless you really did not care about anything other than being really close to the airport.
Very close to the airport, a great business hotel. Nice view across the lake, very clean hotel. Would recommend for a business traveller. Nice large rooms with modern decor. Breakfast can be quite hectic, with bus loads of holiday makers who don't know how to queue.
Conveniently located close to airport. Staff is friendly. Facilities are very clean. Comfortable bed and good bathroom facilities. Definitely a place I will stay at again. Breakfast is good with a wide selection on the buffet. The park like surrounding is great and provides s relaxing environment. Shuttle betwern airport and hotel is regular and on time.
we stayed here for 1 night before we left fot the airport. Good room, no noise from the airplanes good breakfast, good shuttle bus service. helpful and nice staff. Good location, good to reach by car.
2 rooms were booked, 1 for 2 adults and a 5 year old and one for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The room for 4 had only 2 cups, 2 sachets of coffee, 2 of creamer and 2 of sugar and the TV in the double bedded room was unplugged. When I went down to get some more coffee etc, the receptionist was just going to deal with my query, when the phone rang. She immediately answered the phone and spent a couple of minutes resolving the issue. When I complained that I was waiting to be served before the phone rang, she said they were very busy, I replied that may be but that was no excuse to keep me waiting. The breakfast was excellent one of the best I have had for some time, with a wide range of options
Our first Pitstop for our Cosmos trip.The airport shuttle is really very very useful and so accomodative from the Schiphol airport.The rooms were airy and big a place enough fora small family I must say and the Reception were very helpful. Worth the money if you dont have to stay at the city centre.
Room excellent. Visit to tulip fields not to be missed. Near to airport. Food fit for royalty. Plenty of variety and lots of it. The drivers knowledge of the area was outstanding. 41 members went. All were more than satisfied.
Our flight was cancelled so we booked one of the only hotels left. It cost us €270 for one room for one night. Very expensive, however I believe it cost this much because there was a trade show on. To begin with, there is no foreign exchange services offered here. We ordered a paella for dinner. After waiting for 45 minutes, we received what tasted like a frozen microwaveable meal. About halfway through the meal, our suspicions were confirmed when I had a mouthful of frozen rice. The staff kindly took back the meal and took it off our bill. Grateful for them, however being served frozen rice is certainly not what I'm paying €270 euros for. 1/5. Would not recommend. If your flight is cancelled and no other hotels available, go into the city centre.
Getting from Airport to this Hotel is VERY confusing. I had read reviews so I had the name of the Hotel on my phone so that I could show the shuttle driver. The driver still told me that his shuttle was not the right one and I needed to look for an orange shuttle. That is not correct. There are two different shuttles to 2 different Best Western Airport hotels. This Best Western is a White Shuttle, the other BW is the Orange Shuttle. Be sure to ask the driver. I asked a second time if the white shuttle was going to the "Round" Best Western and he agreed it was. Whew. The Best Western was the last stop of about 4 stops. It takes a good 20 minutes to half hour to get there even though it is close to the airport. The lobby is nice and the Desk Clerks are friendly. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The bathroom was very clean also. I had read of security issues so after we checked in we locked our suitcases inside the closet and headed out to see Amsterdam. When we got back to the room everything was undisturbed. The Hotel is in a quiet area and I did not see anyone loitering inside or outside the Hotel. I felt safe there. We did not use the Bar or have breakfast here so I can not comment on that. When we checked out at 5:30 am I commented on needing some coffee and the Desk Clerk brought us both cappuccinos, That was a really nice surprise! I would stay there again if I wanted to be near the airport for a flight.
We arrived two days late for a European 14 day tour.Phillip at the front desk was a savior.He had spoken to our tour director and guided us to where the group was. The hotel was very clean,had all the extras needed and great food.The free shuttle was on time and easy to catch.
A convenient hotel just a short shuttlebus ride from the airport. The bus runs every half hour during the day. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. An ideal place for the night before your flight.
This is a very convenient hotel near Schiphol airport at Amsterdam. There is a free shuttle service to and fro from airport to hotel every 40 minutes. We travelled from Bangalore by a Jetairways direct flight to Amsterdam and one day stay at this hotel was ideal to relax first day and proceeded with rest of the Holland tour. We were very happy with this hotel stay
The room is large and comfortable, and the hotel has a good structure, the room is great and the bed even more so. They give you 2 botlle of free water everyday and also an espresso. The only reason to stay there is if you want to be very close to the airport. The highlight is the free transfer to the airport, which runs every 30 minutes. The corridor of the hotel is very messy. With various things thrown on the floor like towels, sheet ....
Ther are 2 BW at Shiphol soask driver if he is going to Plus. Wrong bus cost additional hour. Morning breakfast was excellent and shuttle to terminal was precisely on time. I would certainly use BW againant this hotel qualifies for free night too.
Ended up there since all hotels were booked. Nothing special, basic room and amenities. Average low breakfast buffet. Shared shuttle with 2 others hotels only rotating every 40 minutes.. quite high price for value
This is a lovely new place. The rooms are spacious and clean. The service is unobtrusive. The only minor thing is getting in the gate. It take a little effort to line up to get near the button. Regards, OldeBear

We only booked this hotel as we only needed it during the evening as we planned to visit Amsterdam Central. The hotel overall is really nice, quite basic in terms of facilities, however it is worth the price you pay. A free bus is offered from Amsterdam Airport to the hotel; approximately 20-30mins depending on how many stops are made inbetween. The bus usually comes around every 20mins. Everything is quite accessible from Amsterdam Airport. We took a train from the airport to Amsterdam Central on both days and walked/cycled from there around the city. It was a really nice place to go, however the hotel can seem quite far after a long day of travelling. There was a really nice town nearby that we were advised to visit. Locals are lovely and the scenery is amazing. The receptionists, however, weren't the friendliest. They were quite rude at times. Also no room service is offered despite there being a room-service menu left in the room. Overall quite a good location, however next time will most likely book somewhere closer to the city rather than the airport.
Stayed for 1 night while attending trade show . Got the shuttle bus from airport to the hotel which took about 10 minutes and on arrival was greeted by friendly staff. Room was very nice with a good comfy bed and and nice large shower . Had a good nights sleep and would stay again .
I stayed in here from 31/1 until 1/2. The hotel is clean, modern and great breakfast BUT the security system in here is extremely terrible. In the last night I stayed in there, a strange person entered to my room even though my friend locked the door. He also checked the lock twice to make sure that the door is locked probably. This girl who entered to our room is not hotel staff ( we came to reception and check with receptionist). She react when my friend ask her how she can open the door and what she is doing in here. She immediately said that she went to wrong room and quickly run to the lift where another girl was wasting in front of the lift. After this situation, we couldn't sleep at all. We pretty sure that she is not an usual guest open wrong room. And if she is a guest in this hotel, how can she open our room with a room card when we already stay in there couple day and lock the door. With this bad experience and terrible security system of Best Western Plus Amedia Amsterdam, this will be the last time we stay in this hotel. The main point is they dont have CCTV or security camera in each floor and anybody can enter to the lift and travel to any floor they want without the control of security system. You might be robbed or killed in this place without the notice of hotel staff or anyone else.
I stayed in this hotel mostly for work and the rooms are quiet and tidy, staff are friendly and the check in and check out process is pretty smooth. I would stay for work purposes, not very ideal for families with children as there aren't many activities in the hotel for kids. I like the free shuttle service, not always on time though
Booked a room for two persons from Friday till Sunday. Asked for a two- person- bed but they couldn't deliver that. The two one-person-beds next to each other were ok though. The room, on the first floor, was not big but had everything we needed: comfortable beds, clean bathroom shower with a powerful jet, enough wardrobes, big refrigerator, large flat screen TV, coffee and tea facilities and good lighting. And everything was clean. The staff at the lobby was friendly and they had free peppermint, liquorice, fruit, coffee and tea. Also at the lobby lounge seats and a bar. We didn't use the breakfast or other eating facilities. For € 20 we were allowed to check out at 14.00 in stead of 12.00 hours.
This motel is a quick shuttle from the airport. Make sure you get on the correct shuttle to Best Western Amedia. There is another best western airport motel. The breakfast was very good with lots of choices. No restaurant in the hotel but there is a cool dutch town within walking distance. Ask how to get there.
We stayed there for 1 night before our flight to Madeira. Very nice room and bathroom with nice beds. Every 20 minutes or so you have a, for us free, shuttlebus to the airport. Very happy with the park, sleep and fly option.
I travel globally for work and I absolutely understand the differences to expect when traveling in Europe. This hotel however couldn't even accommodate the smallest requests. The website said the double rooms had 2 queen sized beds. It did not- it had 2 twins pushed together like in many European hotels. I understand that when you advertise one queen bed but not when you advertise two QUEEN beds. So I slept uncomfortably close to my friend- oh well. We asked about the hotel shuttle for our flight in the morning. Every 30 minutes. Okay no worries. When we got downstairs we asked if we should wait outside or inside. The front desk staff told us that we could wait inside- so we sat inside and watched the bus slow down in front of the hotel and speed right back up as no one was outside waiting. When we asked about it again they said not to worry as another would be arriving soon. Wrong again. They have a screen in the lobby with the estimated time of arrival for the next shuttle. After it went from 7:32 to 8:06 we decided to just take a cab. The hotel offered to call a cab for us but not to pay for it. After all their other misinformed statements I assumed they would call the worst cab company so we rejected and called one ourselves. Even after this we missed our flight. I wouldn't advise anyone to stay here and feel so foolish to think I paid more for this hotel. What a waste .
Enjoyed our stay. Reception was helpful and pleasant. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The refrigerator was a nice addition. The airport shuttle was a plus and runs every half hour which is good as it was busy since it stops at several hotels and parking/car rental lots. Be sure and get on the right shuttle as there is another Best Western in the area
The room I have is small but functional. It was very clean. The toiletries are non existent, just pump soap on the wall. A for handle was hanging off. Make sure you get on the right shuttle bus, I did not and ended up wasting 2 hours by getting on the wrong one and then having to wait for the right one. The food menu which appears to be ordered in from elsewhere is terrible. I used an app to order some decent food and have it delivered to the hotel for €1.50. There isn't much around the hotel in walking distance. I had a nice view from my room at 709. There is also no fridge in the room so no where to even store food. Overall facilities are poor but the rooms are nice and bright.
If you're looking for a reasonably priced hotel near the airport this is a good choice. Hotel has been recently renovated, it is very clean and it has a nice contemporary look. Our room was very spacious, hardwood floors, 2 double beds were very comfy, large washroom and small kitchenette. Free coffee and snacks at the reception. Hotel is located in the business park, about 20 min ride on a shuttle bus. The free shuttle runs 24hr and it can be boarded outside Terminal 3 (ground level). Keep in mind that this shuttle is not dedicated to Western only and it makes 3-4 stops at other locations before reaching its final destination. If you want to get to central Amsterdam you can hop on the shuttle, go back to the airport where you can board a train to Central Amsterdam which costs 9€ return trip and takes about 15 min
We took this hotel because we had missed our connection flight to Reykjavik Iceland. There is a suttle from Amsterdam airport to the hotel and back. It is free and it's around half a hour drive each direction. The hotel is situated in a very quiet area and although not far from the airport we couldn't hear the airplanes. We got a Standard Double room. It was a very small room with a small shower room. Nicely decorated (modern/minimal style) and very clean. We were a little bit disapointed because we expected to have some more amenities in the room and in the shower room but for one night it was ok. The breakfast was big and had many options
The room was quite big and clean. The breakfast is a little expensive but there was some choice. You can go to the airport with a little shuttle, one / 20 minutes. No noise, nice people. Some tables to eat, sofa too. There is also a computer and a print if you need, it's a nice idea.
We stayed at this hotel for three nights upon our arrival to Schiphol. Unlike what some of the other reviews stated, I didn't find the room spacious enough for two people, neither one of us is particularly big and yet we had difficult time navigating our way through the room when we were both inside the room. Internet was pretty good though. In terms of cleanliness and services, it was more like a 3 rather than a 4 star hotel. Please don't get me wrong, this is not a dirty place, it's just ok. The breakfast was very basic, I would not pay extra for it, though. The shuttle to the airport is either a bit too slow or there are too many stops on the way as the shuttle took us first to a car rental parking, then inside an airport parking, then to three or four different hotels before reaching its final stop at the Best Western Amedia. The shuttle is free but you need to account for a 30 minute trip to and from the airport before you get transportation to downtown by train or tram. This will add another thirty minutes to your destination. In the same trip, before flying back home, we stayed for one night at the Mercure, their shuttle ride to the hotel is only 10 minutes plus across the street from the hotel tram 197 will take you directly to the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum in 20 minutes. We wish we stayed the entire time at the Mercure.
We spent two days in Amsterdam early this week before travelling back to Canada. We wanted a hotel close to the airport, also well connected with the city centre to allow us to explore Amsterdam and take a bike tour. Amedia did not disappoint. Well appointed rooms, very friendly staff, a good breakfast and a free shuttle to/from the airport.
We are in a group tour of 33 persons from Hong Kong. It happened on 29.6.2917. While we were having our breakfast in the hotel restaurant, one of tour members was stolen her hand bags losing ten thousand US$ of cash and valuables and her passport. We found that no hotel staff was at the restaurant entrance to screen people entering the restaurant. We had been a little relaxed as we were in a hotel quite far away from downtown and was in an area seemingly not warranting extra alertness. Besides, there had not been much people in the restaurant and it made us felt that all the customers were hotel residents. Our tour members recalled that a guy had moved to sit behind the victim shortly before she discovered her loss. I consider the hotel cannot be spared of her responsibility in having not screened people entering the hotel restaurant. I wrote this to alert others not to be the next victim. Keep all your belongings with you at any public areas in this hotel.
This was the last stop in my two and a half week trip, and it was by far the largest room I had. It is easily accessible by the free shuttle from the airport (the shuttle also stops at the Park Inn, Radisson Blu and a few car rental/car parks which are on the side of the bus). It can get quite full, but it seems to run around every 30 minutes. You can also take it to the airport to visit Amsterdam's city center (take the train from the airport), which I did. A few people have said it was a slow shuttle...what do you think a shuttle is? It makes a few stops, build that into your trip time. Or pay for a taxi. The hotel has a modern feel, and my room was pretty spacious with FOUR pillows (a luxury after my other stops). There are not many of the bath amenities that you find in most American hotels and higher priced hotels, but I found this pretty standard on this trip. I guess that's not something I worry about. There is free wifi. I had a connecting door, and it seemed the wall/door was paper thin because I could hear every sneeze and cough the first night, but the second night, either the people left or they quieted down. My few interactions with the staff were friendly. It was cheaper to stay here than in the city center, where the cheapest hotels seemed to be hostels, which are not my thing. I would stay here again.
We had two nights a week apart in this hotel. It was like a fancy B&B. They stored our heavy luggage for us while we're touring in Ireland. Our first room was OK except we were unable to lower the temperature in the room so we had an uncomfortable night. Our second stay a week later was terrific with having a really large room and total control of the aircon. We thought this hotel was well priced but the breakfast was not good value and a bit of a bun fight accessing the food. There is also a free shuttle bus to and from the airport 24/7 about every 30 minutes.
We stayed at this hotel for a night to go the airport the next morning. The room was pretty spacious for two with all the basics and good internet, but in terms of cleanliness and services, it was not like a 4 star hotel. The shuttle to the airprt is very slow as it takes you through all the car rental parkings, etc. I would give it a generous 3.
We were family of 4, just on the way to different location. Very basic hotel. Free shuttle to/for the airport, It took us 20 minutes. Nice view from the rooms. Didn't eat breakfast so I can't recommend.
Best Western Plus hotels proudly offer breakfast each morning and some offer customizable "build your own"* breakfast stations, (for an additional fee of 13 euros per person) free high-speed internet, a fitness center* (no pool or fitness center), business center, and laundry/dry-cleaning services (didn't see any laundry or dry cleaning services). Our spacious guest rooms allow room for work or play. Most offer an oversized desk / work space, in-room mini-refrigerator, and stylish bath amenities. (Stylish? Kidding right, bath and hair gel pump on the wall) they do offer (for $20 euros) a bicycle. Was nice to ride the WHITE BUS from the airport to the hotel with everybody else going to airport parking areas. The ORANGE BUS goes to the BW airport (we went there 1st, sure wished we had booked there).
It is a brand new hotel. Like the clean ambiance. Got the corner room it is very spacious for 2 person. The b'fast was nice with decent selection of food and beverage. Love so much their traditional donuts. It become other guests favorite as well.
I also put a review in Booking.com as the reservation was made through them. The customer service and the support staff were really helpful and cooperative. One of the drivers of the airport shuttle was really rude ( the one driving on 19th May 23:00 hours). He talked with us loudly and when I said you could have done calmly he said its his bus and he can do anything. He also agreed that I should report. This was the only negative thing during our stay.
The staff were great couldn't do enough to make the stay enjoyable. The location is close to airport and free shuttle service. The hotel setting is in area of hotels and light industrial with large green park spaces and flowers.
Very good hotel, the rooms have a decent size, the view form the 7th floor is really nice, rooms are very clean and well matain, staff is nice and polite, breakfast has good choices. The hotel has a shuttle to the airport from were you can take a train to Amsterdam downton or you can buy some groceries at a minimarket at the airport. It is well located and is not hard to move around.
We stayed at this hotel so we could get a very early flight. The hotel was new, clean, and customer service was good. The rooms were smaller than expected, but all amenities were there. My issue is with the shuttle. While the hotel advertises the shuttle, they don't tell you this is the Schiphol Remote Parking shuttle. So service is slow, with many stops along the way. Allow at least 30 minutes to get from the hotel to the airport.
A thoroughly wonderful experience in a clean, well-maintained hotel with very professional, helpful, friendly staff. With a beautiful walking park adjacent to the property and waterfowl and rabbits in plain view, it was a relaxing, enjoyable memory.
Stayed here for one night 'couse i had a early flight the next day I had a room for 1 person. IT was so hot in the room and the airco was on. The matress was too firm for me. I have Back problems and this matress Didn't do that any good. The pillow was horrible too. My neck was Hurting when i got up. And iT took ages for the shower to get hot water. Not an expierence i want to repeat
Bad service mind staff, mostly everythings in room were not complete (heater did not work, no tissue/soap, refrigerator did not work, TV did not work, no kitchenware only electric stove (you need to bring from your country) etc.) and no response from staff about that problems. This may be the first and lasttime for this hotel. Not worth for money.
This is the worst hotel close to Schiphol. Very poor customer service. Long delay at check in. If you are early they won't let you check in before 2pm sharp. Unfriendly staff. They share shuttle bus with quite a few other hotels. Very slow service. Overall a very poor experience. Rooms are below average. No restaurant, bar or lounge. Do not waste your money here.
I was on an escorted coach trip to Amsterdam and Keukenhof Gardens. The hotel was located in a good location for both excursions. the staff, especially in the dining room, were very friendly and helpful. The room was quite spacious and modern. Although it is near the airport it wasn't noisy with the planes. As we were a larger party they had an arrangement to do dinner for us. Whilst there wasn't any real choice, the food was quite adequate. My only criticism was that on the 3rd night the room hadn't been made up. They were extremely busy with large parties coming in. They did respond well to my request to have more towels. They seem to operate on few staff so they may need to look at this when they have larger groups in. It was a good few days and somewhere I would recommend for a short stay over. Just be aware that there is not too much around to get food in the evening.

I have stayed in the hotel for one night because i was to visit the nearby business park. The hotel is nicely situated in that way. There is a comfortable shuttle from the airport but we found looking for the bus is a bit confusing there since there is different bus for the other best western hotel. Since the hotel is somewhat new the rooms are also new, big and nicely furnished. The bed is comfortable and the view is nice.
We arrived at Schiphol on an evening flight at 9 pm and were transferred by chartered coach to the Best Western Plus Amedia Hotel. Arrived at hotel by 9:30pm and checked into our rooms. We were travelling in a group of 32 people and had planned to go into Amsterdam for dinner. To do that and because of no nearby train stations we had to get big enough mini bus taxi transport to take us to the city. Because of all the organizing it was getting late and more than half the group decided to stay and eat in the hotel or at places in the vicinity of the hotel. There was nothing or nowhere to go to. The hotel had no dining facility and because of the remoteness of it's location, there was no restaurants or convenience stores in the area around the hotel. We had a Toblerone for dinner. Nice hotel, clean rooms of fair size and comfortable beds. Only one set of towels in the bathroom and after phoning reception we found the other set in the main cupboard in the passage.The air conditioner was set on cold and could not be reset. We phoned reception and were told they know about it but the technician had not been there yet since it was reported three days before and the hotel was booked out, so no other rooms were available. Breakfast seemed to be good, but is was such a scramble and queuing at the buffet and the coffee machine that we decided not to have breakfast and have it at the airport instead. We will not make use of this hotel again basically because of it's remote location and no nearby train stations to get connections to the city and other sights to be seen..
Booked 3 days before departure. Just stay no breakfsat included. Check in efficient, got upgraded to bigger room, room clean, all you need for a nights rest. Shuttle bus service every 30 minutes, makes several stops going to the hotel. Back to the Airport only 1 stop.
New hotel with limited number of rooms in a budget edition: no extra's like a pool , a spa or a restaurant . This hotel is perfect for sleep, park , fly. Room is fine, good TV ( strangely enough with Dutch NPO channels 1 and 3 but not 2 ) Good shower and excellent bed. If you are on an early flight you can get a free take away breakfast box. Go to one of the other hotels or the village for dinner, or alternatively you can order dinner from the hotel menu and they will bring it in. Free parking for the duration of your trip pays in fact for the night, as the rate we payed was only 39 euro pp. breakfast inclusive. Probably one of the best Schiphol deals available.
Having waited for nearly an hour at check in where it takes 3 inefficient staff 10 mins per person to check them in I then discover there is no food on sale and the bar has run out of beer. Joke. Still the hotel offers a snack and a beer from a vending machine. Lovely Not. Crap. Won't be back.
As we love the Best Western chain in the US we decided to take a Best Western Plus near Schiphol, as our flight was really early in the morning. We paid like 85 euro's for the room. To be honest it's just wasn't there. I didn't like the location (even it was near to airport) and the Hotel had no atmosphere as well. They say they have a 'bar' at booking.com, but it is just a few seats in lobby, where receptionist hands out expensive drinks. Everything was clean, nice furniture, great shower and good size rooms, but it had a lack of ambience. Our room had a u-shape, which made it difficult to get a good temperature in the whole room. For that amount money we have some other hotels in Schiphol Area we like more.
Clean and quite rooms. Good wi-fi connection in my room. The shuttle to the airport works fine. However a clear timetable would help. Indications were vague. Did not use the restaurant, but it looked OK. Travel to airport is approx 15 minutes.
Good place to stay one or two nights. The room was quiet and the bed comfortable. If you're planning to spend lots of time in Amsterdam, this is definately too far away! You never know about those shuttle bus schedules and sometimes it can take quite a long time to get back to the hotel or to the airport. When coming from the airport the bus visits first two other hotels.
Clean but small rooms. Checkin was very slow, even @ 11pm. Staff could be more friendy as well. Internet access in room was difficult, connection was not good. Breakfast was good, a lot of choice. Difficult to get to the airport though by car, no signs at all.
Hotel is set in a type of business park, so not much happening in the area. Free shuttle bus to train station makes it easy to get to Amsterdam city plus it's a 24hr service??. Rooms are on the small side, so if a 1-2 night stay it's okay. Wifi and breakfast okay; staff was very helpful and friendly.
Enjoyed our stay. The room was very clean and the beds comfortable. The staff was engaging and helpful. Also, the shuttle runs 24 hours a day but does stop at several other hotels and parking lots. We were told it leaves the hotel at the top and bottom of the hour. Beware that it is sometimes early and it does not wait. Their is a village about 1-2 km away that has a couple of grocery stores, restaurants and shops. It is quaint and even has a windmill.
This hotel is very clean and comfortable. the staff were very professional and approachable. the only complaint that i would have is that as it is not just round the corner from anything it would have been nice if it had a resteraunt, although in saying the that there is a menu available and the staff will cook what you need off the menu. If you mange to get a room on the 7th floor the view are really nice. Beds are comfortable, do not think the carpet is stained it just has a brushed effect but on first glance may appear to be stained but theyre not.
Shuttle can take a long time to come for pickup and has multiple stops so u have to leave lots of time in your plans, ie if u want to go back to AMS and take the train. Hotel very isolated so I would not stay here to visit Amsterdam Nice rooms, staff ok, good for an overnighter.
Stayed three days in Mid September. The hotel is very nice and modern. Good facility and close to airport with convenient shuttle. Only complain is house keeping. Very poor service. Cups was not replaced with the dirty cups simply left on the table. coffee were not replaced the second day. Only one set of towels after the first day and had to call for extra every day. Also facial Tissue was not replenished when it was empty.
Good: Location, free shuttle to the airport / or from the airport to the hotel; quiet industry area; spaceous clean rooms with all amenities; decent breakfast buffet. Not so good: Not really newly opened as they claim, it used to be an office building which was converted so at times you think you are still in an office environment; not really a Best Western as you would find it in the US or elswhere, it's part of the Plaza Hotel group, my guess: franchise; no restaurant but there is the Radisson Blue in 400m distance with a nice restaurant and bar; staff most of the time friendly and helpful except in one incident where the night manager actually shoutetd at me (!) because I kindly asked him to get of his phone and to order me a taxi. He had the nerve to insist that I take the shuttle which I did not want. That's an absolute no-no to argue or even to get loud with a guest. Other then that I might consider to come back
Not far by free bus service from airport terminals. Hotel itself is nothing special. Room is quite new, clean, good bed and very important: you don't hear the planes at all flying over. Had a good rest, did not use any of the regular services.
Followed instructions on their website and after waiting for half an hour for a shuttle, eventually phoned hotel to be told departure location had changed, but they hadn't changed the site. On complaining, curtly told to post a message on the site I booked through. All staff knew of change but no one cared or acted. Even when got to right place, a long wait for bus. Expensive room, no tv remote. Avoid and find a hotel actually near the airport
We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. On the day we arrived, we had to wait a VERY long time for our shuttle - look for the shuttle to Park Inn by Radisson as the Best Western Plus Amedia share shuttle services with these two hotels. DO NOT take the shuttle to Best Western as this is different hotel. When the shuttle arrived, it turned out it was only a small bus that was not able to accommodate even half of the people waiting for these hotels - we were squeezed like sardines in a tin - awful experience. When we got to the hotel, they gave us a key to room on the 5th floor, but when we walked in, there were other people's stuff like bags, clothes, and the room was not cleaned at all ( awkward) - the staff is really grumpy and didn't smile at all. The room we stayed in was standard twin room, the shower was nice. The room gets really dusty, there's no windows to open for fresh air; the floor was not cleaned during our stay, the coffee facilities were not replenished at all. We used the shuttle to get to the airport and then into town. On the first day we went out and when we were coming back to the hotel around 8:30 PM, there were a lot of people waiting for the shuttle. When the same small buss arrived, there were three elderly people in a wheelchairs that were left behind after waiting 30 min for the shuttle because this bus can only accommodate one wheelchair (a young lady with her partner). It's awful to think they had to wait at least another 40 min with the rest of the people left behind for the shuttle to come back or being forced to pay for taxi. The next two days it was better - the shuttle was normal big bus, however I would not choose this hotel again.
Great hotel. Quiet, modern, clean, easy access to the airport. Take the shuttle that has Best Western **Plus** written on the bus (not the Best Western shuttle). The bus also has the Radisson and Park Inn hotel logos on it. It is available 24 hrs a day, every 20-30 mins. Very easy to take to the airport to catch the train into the city.
I stayed there for a night. New hotel, clean room, well priced. Staff was polite and cooperative. Even if its located within the airport area of Schiphol, away from public transport to city centre. They provide free shuttle bus 3times in a hour to airport which had a train station to amsterdam center. So it's not that much matter.
Hotel is in good location for layovers as it is close to the airport and offer airport shuttle. Great value for the money. The rooms were clean and comfortable bed. The hotel has an attractive appearance
Does not deserve to be a 4-star hotel, at least it should be a 3-star hotel. Unfortunately, out room had no toilet-brush and the hotel-service does not get to manage to bring us one in three days (multiple asks for a toilet-brush). Honestly this is not the 4-star-hotel way. The rooms are more or less clean. But also a little bit small. Positive were the clean and relative big bathroom. The reception is nice. There is a 24/7 airport-shuttle and from there it is just 15 minutes to Amsterdam main station. No problems with reservation, check-in and check-out.
Neat and clean , well priced and adequate . Perfect for a short overnight stopover . Breakfast and food basic but good . Would definitely recommend for a short overnight stop over visit . When catching the shuttle from the airport make sure you catch the Best western Amedia bus and not the Best western bus
First room: airco not functioning Second room: remote controle not functioning & refrigerator not functioning Third room: airo not functioning. Staff was friendly, but just appointed other rooms, with same airco problem. It was too hot in the hotel to get a decent sleep.
Stayed here one night waiting for our flight to Ibiza the next day. Really nice hotel (still smelled of new). Good beds, nice shower. We did not try the restaurant. We will definitely go back! On booking.com you can book the rate with breakfast but when the reservation and payment came through it was without breakfast.
I booked the hotel for the night before a flight from schipol. Its adequate. Clean room and bathroom. I didnt have breakfast. Booked a twin but got a double but that was swiftly resolved. Only one set of towels but again swiftly addressed when raised. My big gripe however is with the arrangements for transfer from schipol to the hotel. At the airport I followed the signs for hotel shuttles and approached a mini bus with best western livery. Driver asked if i wanted central ameterdam hotel or airport. When I replied airport he directed me to another stand. All good. At that stand another Best Western Minibus where it was confirmed airport best western. travelled to hotel and it was wrong hotel. Turns out that Best Western is different from Best Western Plus. I do not think it is reasonable for a new customer to be aware of this. We had to go on return shuttle to airporrt and hunt down another place to get correct shuttle. Correct shuttle leaves from departures and is not signposted AT ALL. We had to ring hotel to see where to get shuttle from. THIS IS PANTS and we wasted an hour driving around.
Good hotel for a night. Hotel seems new and everything is in order and good state. Hotel offers safe parking on the premises. Rooms are small but offer everything required except minibar but the downstairs bar is helpfull. Place is 15 minutes drive from The airport.
The hotel is located within the airport area of Schiphol. Although away from public transportation to Amestetdam city centre; but the hotel provides half hourly bases free scuttle bus to airport which had a train station. So the location is not the best unless you are in a long layover so you can find a place to sleep and keep your luggage. Hotel stuff is clean, staff is very polite and cooperative. My flight arrived after shuttle official timing but they arranged one to book me for free. Don't expect more than quite and clean place to stay. May be ok for a meeting if you want to conduct one without leaving the airport area. Breakfast is good with suitable varieties.
Spend one night in this place close to Schiphol, about 4 miles from the airport if you know how to drive. It is a converted office building with spacious rooms, good showers and a decent breakfast for a great rate. Parking is free. Two things were a bit different; the free airport shuttle leaves at the departures level on Schiphol airport, door 3 and the bar has no staff that can poor the wine, beer that is listed on the menu. I still liked it a lot because it was a great starting point for an Amsterdam all-tourist weekend with friends. One thing about the views, for me as a Dutchman it was great to look over the Aalsmeer area, full of glass houses used to grow flowers.
Great stopover hotel. Convenient shuttle services to trains, buses etc from schipol. Friendly staff. Stayed overnight after driving to schipol from Assen. We had plenty of time after arriving at 14:00 to get the free shuttle to schipol. From there we caught a train into Amsterdam for an afternoon of cruising the canals. Well worth it.
I stayed here for one night on 15th May and it had only been open for a very short time.Friendly staff, great room which was obviously modern with great views from my room. I have stayed in Amsterdam many times for both work and leisure but this was the first time I have opted to stay near the airport. I was attracted to it for my work meeting trip mainly as it was new. Would I consider booking this hotel when I have to be in the future in Amsterdam? YES! In the past when I have been in an Amsterdam hotel for breakfast on my own, maximum in/out time is 20 minutes. However, the view from the panoramic windows in the breakfast room and the great coffee and food, I was there for 40 minutes! I just wished on finishing that I would have brought my computer with me from my room as I would probably stayed at least another 20! Will look forward to my next visit.
