Best Western Savannah Historic District

The hotel although close to the Riverwalk was surprisingly quiet. The room was a nice size and the bed was comfy. A sound machine was available in the room but we didn't need it. The room appeared updated but was tired around the edges. The breakfast was mediocre and the coffee was awful, not a great start to the day. A snack was available in the Lobby at 5 PM.

Upon arriving at this Best Western we were pleasantly surprised on many levels. The location of the hotel is ideal for exploring the historic district. We were warmly greeted in the charming reception area. The room itself was reasonably priced, especially for its location, as was the available convenient parking. The room was clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was plentiful and yummy and the gentleman overseeing it was exceptional. The greatest surprise however was Mary, the concierge ( in a Best Western? IK,R?). She was thoroughly charming, knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. The time she spent educating us on the city was greatly appreciated. We highly recommend this Best Western. P.S. if you take the Old Savannah Trolley Tour, take Mary's advice and sit on the passenger side! That lady knows what she's talking about!

Stayed here 3 nights, in a clean and friendly Best Western, which was located almost directly behind the Savannah River. A nice and easy walk to the Power Plant area, Market Place and great food. The room and parking was one of the most reasonable in the area.

This location was perfect for being able to walk to everything in downtown Savannah. Very close to a trolley tour pick-up and the marketplace for food and shopping. The rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast was good as well.

We stayed here for New Years Eve. The location is excellent, the staff are great especially Andre who works the breakfast area- what a gem. The rooms are very dated and unfortunately not the cleanest we have stayed in. Probably would not stay here again based on that but kudos to the staff- they are great and deserved a 5 star rating for sure!

The location was great and most of the staff was very friendly. It's a noisy location and you could clearly hear people talking outside. The breakfast food was gone by 8:30 and not restocked. The parking is unsecured so don't leave anything in your car which is common since in Savannah.

The location of the property is very nice. Parking is expensive but adequate. The breakfast buffet is good and the gentleman working it is outstanding. The rooms could use some updating as far as thermostats and microwaves should be included. We needed more towels than originally placed in the bathroom. Overall the room was clean except for some mold in the shower. It is a good value for the price.

The room itself was good enough for what we needed, the check in staff were awesome, professional and helpful to meet immediate requests. Water pressure on shower was mediocre at best, though at least it got hot. Cleanliness was average, and there was next to no bedding on the beds so if you get cold at night, you may want to bring your own blankets. The worst part of the stay was checkout, we were interrupted by banging on our door starting at 1020am and a few more times following that, even though we had booked with late checkout at noon. I get that they want to speed up room turnover, but I paid to be in that room until noon, so I'm gonna sleep in and checkout for noon. I don't need staff waking me up, seemingly unaware of the late checkout, and so early wanting to inspect the room. No thank you, that really soured the whole experience at this hotel for me, and as the one who booked this accommodation, I was beyond embarrassed that my party had to experience this.

This was a very good location for us to walk to the DOT (free bus line) and to walk through the historic district and also, the river walk area. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay the service is great near everything once there you don't have to drive at all everything is within walking distance you can't ask for anything more. The staff there go out of their way to make sure your stay is wonderful and very pleasant.

Other than the parking (there is a $30 fee for overnight parking... which is better than $39 other places) and the NOISE of traffic in this delightful historic area, our stay was fabulous. We arrived earlier than check-in, and Janice was immediately able to help get us into a room so we could go explore Savannah, since we were only staying the one night. When we walked into the room, it was overwhelmingly comfortable. The temperature, set up, bed that was awesomely comfortable, and the bright lights in the bathroom were welcoming. We felt safe, including where our car was parked, and it was SO wonderful to walk a block to the downtown River Historic Savanna district. Night time was tough - like I said the traffic is horrendous. Large trucks travel banging down the road, and screeching and loud motors all night long. It's not the hotel's fault - it's the city's. Of all the historic districts I've been in, a respect for the roads is there - not Savannah. We would stay here again. I bring ear plugs and they worked. Thank you to Janice who checked us in, and Manager Mary Beckworth who greeted us for breakfast the next morning. Should we return to Savannah we would stay here again, because of the amenities and the friendly staff outweighs the noise.

Close to riverfront and downtown, all locations walkable. Pleasant rooms and good size. High car parking charge of $30, that 8 did n9t see advertised when booking. Breakfast was well equipped, but no fruit available. Even be8ng situated in main road, the traffic was not disturbing through the night. All in all good location and room price just disappointing car park charge.

It was awesome and we will be back. The staff was awesome and always willing to help. The breakfast was over the top. They had bacon, eggs, hash browns and make it yourself waffles with all the fixings, fresh OJ, apple juice and almond milk. It was a good sustainable foundation we needed for all the walking we did.

I like best westerns so when staying in Savannah, I looked at those and this one was close to the river and in the historic section which I wanted. It did not disappoint. They could not do enough to be helpful, front desk, and concierge. Even had cookies and lemonade in afternoon that was so welcome after walking in the heat.

Hotel staff was extremely nice and welcoming, we ended up having to check out early & they were more than understanding and helpful. Very close to the river walk of Savannah if that is your thing- we personally aren't city people but this is ideal for people that are. Heads up it is $30 a day for parking at the hotel that I didn't know prior to checking in, but I see why it is, it's in walking distance to everything.

Breakfast was good but lacked variety, same every morning. Housekeeping was lacking as we constantly needed to ask for TP and to have trash removed. The pool was closed the entire week we were there. Convient to Historic District and Riverwalk

Let me begin with the pros: location and friendly staff. It ends there. Cons: Old rooms, smells of mold and mildew. The air conditioning wasn't working. We called maintenance and the man was lovely. He replaced the machine in our room because the “wires were frayed.” It never got colder than 76 degrees. There were multiple people at the front desk complaining of the heat in their rooms. My husband went down around 9:30 pm and, thankfully there was a new front desk clerk, let her know the room was still unbearably hot. She apologized and moved us to a new room immediately. Our new room was clean and the AC was cold. Hygiene was a major concern in the first room. We had towels with blood on them - not stains - actual blood. How does this happen in a room that's been “cleaned?” The second room was fine. The pool is small and the area not maintained. A lot of leaves, dead bugs, broken chairs, and bird poop. My daughter swam for a while until I noticed grey and white specks throughout the water. It looked unclean. The water fountain doesn't work and our key cards didn't open the gate or the bathrooms. There's a small gym next to the pool. Parking was an additional $30 a night. $30!!!! By the way, no security is patrolling and the amount of transients in the area is astonishing - including in the parking lot and hotel stairs. I don't remember the area being like this last time I visited. I don't recommend leaving anything in your car. The complimentary breakfast was packaged products, the biscuits were so hard you could use them to prop up a table. Don't waste your time - go up the street to one of the many restaurants that serve hot, fresh meals. The price of this hotel is not worth what they offer. For $25-$40 more you can stay at higher quality hotel in the same area. Parking in Savannah is not $30 a day. There are parkades in the area for $16/day.

First, our room was set to 63 degrees and when we entered it was 77. The lady at the desk said to give it an hour or so although it was after 4pm when we went in. We left and went to dinner. Came back closer to 10pm and it was still 77. I took multiple pictures of the temp during the night and morning. It never went below 76. We also only had 2 towels in the room even though the reservation was for 4. I went and asked for more and she told me they only had wash rags. The next morning I asked to be moved or have the air unit repaired because non of use slept and the baby actually coughed and became sick. They sent a repair man at 10am. He said it would be late afternoon. I mentioned that I have a baby with eczema and he needed a nap and could it be done by 2pm? They said yes. We had to leave again for them to make the repair. It was fixed when we came back but was set to 61 and the thermostat was off the wall and on the table and did not work. So the 2nd night we froze as we were unable to change the temp at all. Also on the 2nd day while at the pool, 2 umbrellas were not secure and were lifted out of the tables. One flew and hit my husband in the upper thigh and hip. Luckily it did not hit my child or elderly mother in law. Another man at the pool went and reported it. I did as well once my husband was able to get back into the room. We were not given a "Im sorry" or anything. The lady at the desk did say, "oh no." I asked to speak to the GM and she was unavailable. They said she was busy baking cookies. We left and went to get a snack and came back to see if she was available and she did give my husband her card incase we needed to get in touch with her again. Between the room being 77 degrees in July, being told to leave our room we paid for so they could do the repairs, no towels to take a shower with, the internet kept going out and the tv service went out (no one would answer the phone at the desk to even help us with that) and then being hit with a flying umbrella (my husband is still bruised and has a large knot on his leg). I also asked to file an accident report and was told they had all the info they needed (just hearing from myself and another man) and it didn't need to be reported. I doubt we would recommend or ever stay here again. It saddens me as the hotel was clean (mostly... the metal pieces in the shower kept falling off) and in an awesome location in Savannah, Ga only one block from the river... I just think the staff was unaccommodating

Wife & I went to Savanah and stayed at the Best Western Historic District on a Saturday & Sunday. We booked a King room for our stay. Room was clean, staff was awesome especially Bridget at front desk you can't help but smile talking with her. Hotel is very close to River St aprx 10-15 minute walk. Make sure you buy the hop on/off trolly tour to take you all around the historic district because your not gonna be able to walk it. You can purchase any tour you want down at hotels front desk for convenience. All in all this is a great location to be in Savanah. Hotel 4.5 stars but Bridget made it a solid 5 stars for my wife & I.

We arrived on a Friday night, and the primary parking lot was already double parked. We checked in and the girl behind the desk was pleasant enough, saying there was coffee/tea 24 hours a day. We had problems with our room, though - the air conditioning unit was so loud outside that we knew it would be a problem. I called down to the front desk but ended up having to walk down as the staff member was outside the door, on her mobile phone. She came into talk with me and told me that there were only rooms that had animals in them left, so we stayed in the room we were in. Later, I had another question and so called down to the front desk again and of course, the staff member was again outside on her phone so I had to walk down to ask my question. It was just pretty unhelpful, and I was of course very tired from my journey, so I didn't appreciate having to do that. After we had been out in the town for a bit, we came back and attempted to use the coffee maker and tea in the lobby - the receptionist kind of shouted from around the corner to 'hit the red button!' and I was, but then when she came around the corner to help us, she was like: "I never use that machine, I use this machine," and it's like: how in the world should I have known that? The room felt dingy and we heard every car going by to cruise downtown, even above the rattling a/c. None of us slept a wink that night - two adults and two young children. We had thought that parking was included in the rate (which was VERY expensive) but it was not. We all agreed it was one of the worst hotels we have ever stayed in. You've been warned!

I both planned a Family Reunion at the hotel and stayed there. The experience was exceptional! I've planned numerous family, neighborhood and college Reunions in the past, and this was by far the most gracious and accommodating staff I've ever worked with. They were with us every step of the way - before, during and even after the Reunion. The rooms were very nice and the hotel's location couldn't be beat. Almost everything we did as a family was within a short walking distance from the hotel. I highly recommend this hotel.

I was pretty surprised by the recent bad reviews. Our room was immaculate and extremely comfortable and modern. The location was fantastic if you are heading downtown. I am pretty picky with my hotels but this place was great. Parking was not an issue.

Our room had NO lights, NO A/C and the phone didn't work. Took almost 2hours to get another room and the shower didn't work in this second room. Nothing was said at checkout about the problems that we encountered.

Two couples spent three nights here as we toured Savanna. I picked this Best Western because I'm a diamond member of B.W. and the location looked to be great. The location is terrific (you can everywhere: River walk, city market and most of the historic district). The hotel is old, but generally a clean hotel. Parking is strange as they have three different areas to park in and they charge over $20 per night. Breakfast is the standard fare: bacon, eggs, sausage and gravy and biscuits, muffins, rolls, bagels, cereal, etc. The rooms do have and iron and board (a must for boomers). The other couple had the room next to us. We both leave $5.00 a day for the cleaning person (as they work hard and deserve it). Each day my wife and her sister next door left a note and $5.00 and requested an extra bath towel (they have thick hair and don't use the hair dryer). My wife got hers every day, but her sister next door did not (different cleaning person?). Anyway, the sister was not happy. This is an older hotel, but every one we met was generally friendly.

Located on 2 main roads but it gives you walking distance to everything the historical district has to offer. A good variety of stores a d restaurants. If in Savannah we would stay there again if available. .

Hotel is in a great location. Convenient to everything! The River front and City Market are just around the corner. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful. The HOT breakfast was great. The breakfast choices were plentiful - everything from waffles to eggs, cereals, fruits, yogurt, bagels and the attendant kept everything well stocked and the breakfast area clean. Our room was comfy, clean and having a refrigerator in the room was nice. The front desk let us know that if we brought food back from a restaurant we were welcome to use the microwave in the dining room area. We liked that they always had hot coffee, tea and hot chocolate available in the lobby.(As well as in our room). It was nice after a day of exploring to get an after dinner cup of delicious hot coffee when we returned to the hotel. Definitely would stay at this hotel again.

Absolutely the worst hotel ever! Save your money and don't stay here. Our room was broken into and a bunch of stuff was stolen! The staff and corporate showed zero compassion as to what my family just experienced on their property. They conveniently have no cameras on their property. I will never spend another penny at a best western!

This Best Western needs serious help and updating. The grounds and rooms are run down. Garbage cans overflowing. The room next to us was robbed. Someone broke into the room a young family was staying in. All their stuff was stolen. The rooms are very noisy from the road and the walls are paper thin. The beds are in need of updating. The property is understaffed and struggles to handle the tasks at hand.

This was my second time staying at this property. BOTH experiences have been great! Staff, from Front Desk to Housekeeping, have been friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is amazing!! The rooms do face streets so it can be a little noisy, but that doesn't bother us, we join in the fun. It's a great location, you can walk to the riverfront within 2 minutes and to the square in maybe 5…

We had our free night reward certificate for staying a couple of nights at a BW over the summer and were traveling to Asheville, so decided to spend a night here on the way. When we arrived, we were greeted and thanked for being rewards members (they're supposed to do this but in our experience, many do not), and we were handed a bag with our complimentary waters (also supposed to do this, it has been rare). We were given a 3rd-floor room on the corner, and I was honestly concerned that road noise would be an issue. The room's AC unit ran all night long, which covered up most of the noise, and there was also a sleep machine in the room (honestly not sure if someone just forgot it there or if the hotel provided it, but either way, it was there). The shower worked well enough, and the shower head was at a great height (I'm 6-2 and didn't have to duck). They provided shampoo, conditioner (the smell of both is fantastic!), soaps, etc. The ladies at the desk and inside were very helpful in pointing us around, and the location was fantastic for getting around the downtown area. Breakfast the next morning was great; they didn't have the Popcake machine that some of the BWs have but did have two waffle makers, eggs, sausage, grits, biscuits and gravy, juices, coffee, yogurt, and plenty of other things. Breakfast remained fairly busy, and they kept bringing out fresh food even after breakfast. Can't say how many hotels we've stayed at where the employees want to shut everything down quickly and stop serving breakfast. This was true southern hospitality, great job y'all!

Great stay at the BW Savannah. The hotel is well located for the historic centre and River Street for dining and nightlife. Hotel was very clean and good facilities and the staff are very helpful and friendly.

We were in Savannah for the day and decided to spend the night. We saw the rooms that were pet friendly were 97$ but when we booked we couldn't get anything less than 180. We loved our stay and the beds were great and the room was clean. We wished we didn't have to spend that much especially bc it was just to sleep and shower in the morning.

The hotel was very expensive for the condition of the room. However, being close to the action is key. The trolley tours are great and allow you more time to see the sights without having to walk to every location.

A nice experience! It's your basic hotel but has been upgraded to newer room items (bed, linens, furniture and shower). We checked in easily, Bridget took great care of selecting our room. It was on the first floor, facing the parking lot area and we asked to be moved to a higher floor. Bridget suggested keeping our room as the higher floors face the River Walk and got VERY noisy at night. She was right! We enjoyed the convenience of walking to the River Walk and enjoying the restaurants and sites there. Because we were only there for one night we couldn't see everything but the location made it convenient to see the things near by.

Great location steps from River Street. This hotel had a staff shortage and our room was only cleaned 1 time in a 4 night stay. I gave this a very good rating because of the location. Otherwise it was average.

Property needs some TLC but is located near the river Easy walking in historic district Parking is available on the property but spaces are few and tight. Room was small. Breakfast was adequate. I stay at Best Western properties for the points. That's the best thing about this location

Disgusting open leftover food remained in refrigerator from previous guest, one bath towel in room period, and no top sheet. Whrn we reported issues, a woman came to room claiming to be manager. She said, "what is problem" m we an with room with such attitude. Ridiculous! We spend 50 plus nights a year with best western, never again after this.

Awful experience. No towels in the room, no toilet paper, and when requested, handed only one roll. However, the worst part was the security of the parking lot. In spite of being charged $23 per night for parking there is no security. Several of our group's cars were vandalized with spray paint. This is unacceptable.

Great location convenient to River Street & other sites. Front desk Bridget was very pleasant and helpful. Warm breakfast; eggs, bacon was good. There's also other options like cereal, oatmeal, bagels & muffins. Parking was fine and hotel advertises there's a fee of $23 per day. Overall, for the price in a city with convenient location, great place to stay.

Filthy, overpriced, lack of security, no towels unless you ask/go get them yourself. Dont book in advance as the pirce dropped $100 for walk ups. Customer service is horrible. Parking limited. Get ready to clean your own ac vents and filters. Response from hotel to all complaints is a canned answer. Corporate is worthless and will refer you back to the hotel.

Reasonable breakfast. Excellent concierge. Close to Market street with prohibition museum. Short walk to the extraordinary JW Marriott Savannah Plant. Near the free trolleys and the Riverside walk. A good choice for the money.

Homeless people in the lobby with no staff around. Nobody replenished our supplies in the room. Breakfast was very disorganized one morning and the next morning it did seem like it was put together. The room overall was fairly clean. The pool is was decent but the loud music from the pool next door was kind of annoying.

Stayed for 3 nights. Clean and spacious room-had a top floor facing the river which was very quiet and highly recommend. There is a lot of truck traffic to the front of the building (basically a highway). Excellent staff at front desk (Val) and Dori at conciege. Close to historical areas, especially the Riverside Plant area and the City Market. Had no issues with parking. Good breakfast. Swam in the pool. Overall, highly recommend and would definitely return.

we found location great for finding our way around, the carpet could have used a better cleaning but staff were great and helpful, breakfast area clean , pool area was clean and pool nice temp, bed comfortable

Our room was clean, but only had 2 towels for 4 people, and the fire alarm was ripped out of the wall. There were people (not guests) sitting in the stairwells - that didn't make my kids feel very safe. The hotel is right downtown so it was very loud until after midnight. And the wait to check in was so long we decided to park the car and go get dinner and come back to check in - only to return and find that our car had been towed. That turned into a lot of extra money and about 3 hours of waiting to get the car. We were so excited about this stay and left feeling like we may never come back.

We recently returned to the Savannah area for a family visit and wanted to show our niece more of the city. While we had no direct views of the river we were within walking distance to Riverfront. If you want to be right in the heart of the city you can't beat BW historic district. Walking distance to River St, City Market, the newest Rivefront west, and downtown. The room was more than adequate, and for a center of town hotel it was quiet.

There is not adequate parking, so you will have to park offsite with a daily fee. There was only a difference of about $20 -30 difference per night between this facility and a more upper scale facility down the street. I gladly paid the difference and got out of there. If your offering are going to be subpar you at least could do better with the rates.

We stayed here for 3 nights. Our room had tons of long black hairs all over the bathroom floor and they kept coming and coming everyday. I felt like it was not clean at all. The beds were comfortable enough and we had what we needed. The breakfast was good and the people who worked here were really nice and friendly. Parking was a little difficult - they wanted me to park in a handicapped spot, telling me it was "fine because it is private property" but I didn't feel comfortable parking in a handicapped spot when I do not have a tag to do so. Otherwise it was ok. The location near River Street is nice.

The room was comfortable and the a/c worked really well. The beds were great. Two negatives: saw roaches in the room and the housekeeping staff came in the room once while sleeping an hour and a half before check out and agian while packing up to leave. Both occured before checkout. Felt like we were being rushed when we paid for a room from check in to check out.

After a congested drive up from Orlando, we were greeted by a well trained and cordial staff who directed us to our room, suggested the best parking place, and provided all the information we needed to settle in to our handicap, pet friendly, king-sized room. Having only one day to tour the city, the concierge made excellent plans for a tour, suggested places to eat at the City Market, and checked up on the activities of our day to be sure that every thing went smoothly. Even our dog had a ball and a great lunch. The comfort of our room gave us the rest we needed to return to our home in North Carolina the next day. We hope to return to this Best Western in the future when we can enjoy more of a beautiful city.

Hotel is in close proximity to restaurants and around the corner from the river area. Parked car at hotel and walked all over the Historic District without having to worry about parking or the traffic. Rooms are small but doable. Beds and pillows are not comfy unless you enjoy very hard beds and stiff pillows.

They knowingly placed us in a room which had 2 ozone generators for the musty, fowl smell. We asked a maid just a few rooms down and she said “They put you in room Xyz” I can't remember the number, but her response was obvious that they new this room stunk. Move to a room down the hallway, no tv remote tried to call the front desk the phone doesn't work! We had to call the front desk with our cell phone! Pretty sad for a Best Western in such a destination place.

We are Diamond members of Best Western. This was by far the worse BW we have used. The location was wonderful and Mary who was the concierge was great but that was about it. The rooms were dingy and dirty. You pay for parking but it's limited so if you leave the hotel you might not get parking when you get back. The front desk staff were non caring. Never again!

The room was very small, dark and dingy. The breakfast food was below average in quality and quantity. We were not happy with the desk clerk, poor customer service. Needs a class on customer service.Will not use Best Western again

We booked 2 nights at the Best Western Savannah historic district based on recommendations from friends. Great location adjacent to the RiverWalk, and a great price! We walked to most restaurants and sites, and when we didn't walk, the Concierge, Mary, called for various shuttle services to pick us up. We didn't have to move our car for our entire stay in this beautiful city.

Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's walking distance to the water edge where there's beautiful scenery and alot of stores and restaurants. Great area to walk early in the morning for exercise.

We stayed here as part of a bus tour, and were not pleased that it is 'motel style.' Access is available to the room doors at all levels from the street, so anyone can knock or your door at any time, or worse. Amazingly, you need your room key to access reception! The floor of our room needed a good clean, underneath the chairs, where someone had left an empty bottle Staff friendly and breakfast nice, but we wouldn't risk those rooms again

We spent three nights, and had never been to Savannah before. It was a good choice for us. The location is very good and the price was right compared to other hotels in the area. The room was comfortable, clean and we did not notice much noise. The staff was helpful, particularly Mary, the concierge , who was very knowledgable and pointed us in the right direction. Breakfast was fine, and an effort was made to keep the area clean and well provisioned considering the waves of guests looking for their coffee, etc.

Room was very spacious and extremely clean. Staff at check in and out were very pleasant. The hotel is located near the waterfront so we were able to leave the car and spend a pleasant evening strolling around and having dinner. There is a charge for parking but that seems to be the norm for this area. I would stay in again.

Very convenient for walking Historic Savannah as it is close to Civic Center, River Street and squares. Rooms are quiet, clean and comfortable. Service was fast and friendly. Be prepared to pay for parking, though.

Room smelled of mold- electric deodorizer in the room, they know there is a problem, bathroom doors broken and would not close and lock, carpets were sticky dirty, hotel hallways really dirty, super loud location on truck route. Wish we spent a little more for a clean room!

This is a poorly-run hotel, for a Best Western. Supervisor comes up with excuses instead of solution, along with somewhat rude treatment. Most employees courteous; some not. Just reminiscent of low-end motel. Having come from Naples, FL Best Western the prior week, shocked, and first time in Savannah. Price is terrible for what you get. I have never stayed anywhere where you have to ask for room to be cleaned - and not told until you return end of day to un-serviced room. Also, couldn't adjust thermostat, but with unmasked employees, didn't want to risk it; so slept cold for four nights ; bed very comfortable; had to request blankets; none in room

We like the location of the motel, we were very close to River St. The parking was great. We walked everywhere we wanted to see. The room was clean, breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our trip & we will be back,

Location was good for my needs, Room was clean bathroom shower needs new handles, Staff was nice though two people didn't offer any directions. I had to guess where my rooms was and the elevator was out of service. 3 floor walk up was hard.

We visited Savannah on our mother/ daughters trip. Booked at BW and was not disappointed. They were short staffed but where isn't ☹️. Room was very nice and clean. I would definitely stay there again. Can't complain about Rate & location

Hotel is in a great location for walking and access to public transit. Concierge in lobby was a nice touch and helpful, but it is a specific business, so there are other options which they will not have access to. There is also a daily parking fee, which you may not realize they are charging, and seemed exorbitant to me.

We stayed in room 105 and it was right across the patio to the lobby. We were within walking distance to the River Street shops and the bus stop near Johnson Square. The pool was small. Compared to surrounding hotels, it was priced right for what you get. The breakfast was great! A full hot meal. There was noise from Bay Street, but not too bad because we had the hotel blocking us from the road.

The location was great. Had to wear flip flops as carpet was very dirty. Lots of help in findings things to do. Breakfast was no where near where B.W. breakfast is most of the time. Did not take off my B.W. rewards.

So convenient to everything in the historic area. Great breakfast. Very clean. Friendly staff. But the jewel of the place is Mary, the concierge. She went over and above to help us and made us feel like family. I talked to her twice before we even arrived. She texted me on her day off to make sure we were having fun.

Not a criticism, but the reality: this is a motel not a hotel but right downtown, but location may give the impression it's a hotel. But, a very nice place to stay once the cost relative to the hotel properties in the immediate area. Best aspect: location: just two blocks from the City Market, brief walk to River Street shops, restaurants. Lobby: attractive enough though somewhat small. The staff: friendly, very helpful. The room is typical for most motels, small open spaces (we had two beds, so that may be the reason why), desk, tall cabinet serving as TV stand-dresser- mini-fridge area. Beds were comfortable with four, mostly comfortable pillows on each. Room looked very clean and furniture looked new enough, no signs of any real wear and tear (same for carpet). Bathroom was very good sized and also clean and new enough fixtures. Room included coffee maker with coffee, sugar, etc; hair dryer, toiletries. Issues: Mini-fridge door was left open by someone so it was warm when we first arrived. It cooled down eventually. The door frame is showing some wear and tear and concerned me about security, but the dead bolt was very solid and clicked into place firmly. so we felt better about it. Some reviews complained about road noise. Our room was on 1st Floor facing the road and we did not hear any noise after 10 pm. But, we could very clearly hear toilets flushing in adjacent rooms. Breakfast: serve yourself with the usual motel fare. Good but nothing special though free

Positives about this hotel. Location. It was one street away from River Walk. The breakfast in the morning was very good. More so for the choices they offered. They did not skimp on anything. The people at the front desk were nice enough. One person really stood out and that was Mary at the concierge desk. She was extremely professional and very friendly. She should definitely be in a management position. The negatives: the parking lot was very dirty. There was a lot of trash everywhere. Our room faced the street and it was very noisy all night long. Obviously, this is no fault of the hotel but if that bothers you make sure you ask for a room in the back. The room was not very clean. The ice bucket had water in it and mold was around the rim of the bucket. Lots of dust everywhere. The bathroom door did not shut completely. There was a very bad sewage smell outside of the hotel. It was not the smell of the river.

We, a group of 5 women, stayed at the BW in Savannah Historic District. The location couldn't have been better. The staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Shakira at the front desk and Mary at the concierge desk. The fitness center was ok and there is a pool but Savannah weather didn't cooperate. There were many different foods at breakfast and the staff kept it well stocked.

A good deal for a hotel in walking distance to everything. Staff was overwhelmingly friendly and helpful in every department. Breakfast was the best hotel spread you will find. Rooms a little musty and some outlets in need of work, but overall acceptable considering the price.

Within walking distance of many restaurants, bars, shopping, trolley stops, etc. Nice, clean outdoor pool. Room was spacious and comfortable. Concierge is helpful and can make reservations and print out tickets for you.

The employee who met us for check in was very nice and pleasant. Room seemed nice enough except for towels are as thin as can be and need to be replaced. Location is very loud at night due to cars racing, etc. The worse part was the next morning when we woke up to found they double parked cars and we were blocked in. It was 8:30am on a Sunday and we couldn't get on the road like we wanted because we were blocked in and the front desk couldn't get a hold of the guest to move their car. This is entirely unacceptable, especially with a $23 parking fee. Our parking fee was waived however this is unacceptable fee or not. We usually frequent Best Westerns when traveling but will not be returning to this location.

When I booked this hotel I was unsure of the location being "safe". Once we arrived and talked to Fefe the deal clerk, our fears vanished. The staff is extremely helpful and courteous. The lobby and breakfast area very clean. Our room was on the store side and was nice and clean. The parking leaves a lot to be desired. You do pay a fee to park but they are in need of more spaces. The location is wonderful to explore without your car. Our car stayed parked until we left for home. City Market a block one way and the Riverfront a few steps the other. I wasn't inpressed with the breakfast but did eat a few thing. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay again.

We were blessed to find this gem of a hotel for our Presidents weekend stay. I cannot tell you the ENTIRE staff was courteous, outgoing, and made you feel like you were amongst friends. Mikki, FeFe, Ms. Linda Teeh, and Eric's could not have been more attentive to our needs and always professional and with smile. The concierge, Mary was helpful in making our Savannah adventure a memorable one. The hotel was within blocks of the City Market and the River walk. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice. Thank you to the Best Western staff for being so welcoming and hospitable.

Clean, comfortable room in a great location in historic Savannah. Easy walking distance to a number of wonderful restaurants, City Market and the riverfront. Nice breakfast served in the morning and convenient parking on site. There is a charge for parking but that was disclosed when we made our reservations so no surprises there. Would definitely recommend.

This is a comfortable hotel, nicely located, and the best breakfast as part of your stay that you will ever get. Friendly staff and attention to detail. Although this hotel seems to have a little age, it is well kept and they do offer parking for a reasonable price in an area where parking is at a premium. Just down some steps and a turn to the right and you find yourself emerged in the social atmosphere of Savannah or out the front entrance and you can visit parks and markets only a short distance away. It's convenient to walk to any of these attractions.

The location was perfect. It is a little hard to find after dark. The signs are not close to the road. Our room was nice. The only thing I didn't like was the pillows. I don't like lumpy pillows. The biggest problem was a man brought his dog to the dining room. Not a service dog. We normally stay away from places that are pet friendly for this reason.

During our stay, we found EVERYONE who worked at this location to be extremely helpful! We did have a couple of issues, but the staff responded in a quick and professional manner. There is a full breakfast which was greatly appreciated by our group and those working in the breakfast area kept the food trays filled and the area clean and neat. THANK you all for taking such good care of us! The beds were very comfortable. There was a mini refrigerator (no freezer) and a one cup coffee machine with coffee and supplies. There is an elevator as well as stairs available at this property. This hotel is located about one block from the river in Downtown Savannah. Parking onsite is VERY limited with there being room for only ONE car per room. (This parking is not in a gated area.) As a patron, i was very impressed at how quickly the staff acted when unauthorized vehicles were found on site. This is extremely important since people not staying at the hotel attempt to park here. There is paid parking in the vicinity, but depending on the time of year, it may be virtually impossible to obtain. This is a three story hotel which has open halls with open access to the street, etc. The back of the hotel faces a building with a rooftop bar which plays loud music until 2:00 a.m. While this is out of the control of Best Western, it does exist. If this will potentially be a problem for you, upon making reservations, I would personally call this location to request a room located in the FRONT of the hotel. We reserved a total of five rooms and because we were a group we were all next to each other and ended up being located on the back side of the hotel. Unfortunately we did not discover the loud music issue until the first night of our stay and the hotel was completely booked. Our group consisted of college girls who were competing in an athletic event and had to get up early. Unfortunately, the loud music was so loud in our rooms, vibrating our windows at times, they could not get to sleep until 2:00 a.m. and had to be up and at it at 6:00 a.m. We stayed on Friday and Saturday night, so there may be a chance the music is not playing that late during the week. The hotel is a great location if you want to be close to the Riverfront....but please keep in mind the Riverfront does have all types of entertainment, etc. which means loud music and loud people will be a part of your hotel experience no matter what hotel you stay in.......

My friends and I booked this room last minute for a galentine's weekend. This was the only somewhat affordable option in a great location. Here's my breakdown of our weekend stay: Pros: - Mikki at the front desk is amazing! - It's a great location just a few steps away from River Street (specifically the Plant Riverside District) - The free breakfast is actually pretty good - The hotel will let you park there until 3pm the day you check out - Large bathrooms Cons: - Neighbors smoked a LOT of weed...even the front lobby smelled of it - The room had not been thoroughly cleaned like they said it would be - The beds only have a very thin sheet/blanket - Not all the employees are big on customer service - We had a horrible experience trying to park at the hotel after we had left for Tybee that day. I know the hotel cannot always help this, but we circled the block for half an hour before we finally got a place to park. And all of this for $23 per day... - The hotel cannot help this, but Bay Street is EXTREMELY busy with big trucks hitting pot holes. The windows/walls are very thin.

If you like to wake up baked as hell because your neighbors are smoking some loud, then look no further. However, it does become a problem when you poop and that mixes with the kush smell. Was very impressed to find housekeeping left a single cheddar Ruffle on the floor as a welcome gift. If you're a fan of cotton mouth, you'll also be happy to know that two half bottles of water will be waiting for you in a room reserved for four people. It was also very green of management to leave a used bar of soap in the shower so we wouldn't open another. Also, if you like dinner and a show, you may get to witness an argument between the employees during breakfast like we did. Feel free to forgo your alarm because screaming children or couples fighting will be sure to wake you. Location was perfect to walk to River Street which was about two blocks away. I walked around by myself but not after 8:30pm. Took the Old Savannah Tours white trolley. The hotel was very clean and the front desk staff was professional, courteous, and friendly. I spoke with Mikki, Knikki and another woman. They were so very nice. The breakfast was in the lobby and it was a nice arrangement of hot and cold choices. The concierge lady was extremely helpful and friendly. She had long gray hair. I think her name was Mary. Byrd's cookies are a big hit. You have to experience going into the store which is in walking distance near the Marriott hotel. They are the best! I have since then placed an order online. Had the delicious shrimp and grits lunch at The Pirates House. This is another must place to visit. Had dinner at Paul Deen's restaurant which was very good. I would most definitely visit this city and stay at the same hotel in the future.

This Best Western is located in downtown Historic Savannah! You can walk to River Street and all the many Restaurants, Pubs and Shops. We have stayed at this location before and would definitely stay here again. The free Breakfast was also very good.

Free parking. Good value. Great location. Mary helped us pick out a restaurant. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Very close to River street. Definitely check out Savannah Smiles dueling piano bar. It was a lot fun.

Good location near the river. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Full breakfast and very clean room. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend. You can still utilize their parking area several hours after checkout

Loved this place. We parked right outside our hotel room and got a great price. You will pay for parking but it is well worth it since you can just walk right out and find a tour bus, or a place to eat. We even walked to the steamboat and downtown district.

Place and room were spotless. The breakfast was wonderful. You couldn't ask for a more caring, courteous and knowledgeable staff. Will be back to stay here. If we hadn't had to be somewhere else the next day we would have stayed longer.

Must admit my husband & I were a bit skeptical when we booked this venue for our first visit to Savannah because it was so reasonably priced. Very pleased when we checked in... The lobby was welcoming and comfortable. The person who attended to us was also welcoming. The actual room was clean and the decor attractive. A bit small, but fine for the two of us. The location: Historic District - ONE BLOCK from the River Walk and ONE BLOCK from the City Market!

We stayed from December 24th through 28th and really have no complaints. The service was good, they accept pets, they're in an excellent location, clean, accommodating, and serve an excellent breakfast buffet with all that you'll need. You do pay $22/day to park. We basically found a spot and never moved because we walked every where. There is a sketchy surrounding element. The Quality Inn next door attracts some of that element, so you do have to be watchful. We noticed that the floors are only swept and not vacuumed. Our feet were dirty walking around in the room. I know this is a common issue in most hotels though. Their pool is small but heated. Overall, it was a pleasant experience.

Very disappointed that the parking was not on site but across the corner and you had to cross 2 busy streets. When I made my reservation I asked for guaranteed on site parking and I was told I would have that. The lady that checked me in was not friendly. Our room was 3rd floor for pet friendly room, not perfect. The room had stained carpet. House keeping had done a good job on the room. I would not stay here again.

Stay where everything is conveniently located to the Historic District of Savannah. A clean and friendly hotel with a wide variety of breakfast choices. The concierge in the lobby will help your trip be the best!

The room and outside of the hotel was clean. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, helpful and professional. The check-in and checkout was fast. They have plenty of on-site parking. This hotel is very close to the waterfront, it is a short 3 minute walk.

If you are planning on visiting Historic Savannah, I highly recommend you stay at the Best Western in Historic Savannah. You won't be disappointed by its location, customer service of the staff, hot buffet breakfast offerings and the fact that you can park your car in the lot and never get back into it for the entire weekend as you explore this walkable, safe city. The only time we got into our car was after checkout when we went to Bonaventure Cemetery.

I was very disappointed in the cleanliness of our room. There was a thick layer of dust on the lamp on the table between the beds and the furnace grate was covered in dust. We paid too much for that kind of room.

We stayed here for 4 nights. We chose it because of it's location and for that it was amazing! Right beside the riverfront, next to the JW Marriott. The outside area of the motel looks nice and clean, as do the common areas. Now the issues: We did not know until day 2 that a room should have had a seal across the door when we entered if it had been cleaned and sanitized. Ours did not. It also had issues from the beginning. The a/c didn't work. When I called about it the girl who checked us in said I had to turn it on....When I said we did, then she said it could take some time. I told her we turned it on 20 mins prior, she rudely said "Fine! I'll send Maintenance, when they can get to it". I then started to address the other issues but she hung up on me in mid-sentence. The other issues were that the toilet had a ring of dirt around the water line and that the shower curtain had mold. Also, once fixed, the a/c smelled of mold every time it ran. That night, my bed was so hard I barely slept all night. (this is the first time in all my reviews that I have complained about a bed). We were going to ask about moving the next morning but it was the same rude girl at the desk so we knew there was no point. Other reviews talk about the noise levels, but I hadn't realized just how loud it would be! I think it's because of the cobblestones the trucks are driving over. It only bothered me the first night tho. I used earplugs the rest of the time. Breakfast was fabulous with plenty of offerings for every palate. With the exception of the weekend receptionist, the rest of the staff were lovely. Bottom line - if location is a priority and you're willing to sacrifice comfort and cleanliness, stay here. Otherwise you might want to look elsewhere.

From check-in to check-out my group had a very nice experience at Best Western. Service was great. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Many selections to choose from and stayed open until 10am. That was a huge win for us. Price was a little high but to be expected in the location this hotel is in... everything we wanted was in walking distance from the hotel so what we paid in hotel and parking fees we saved in fuel fees. We will definitely stay here again.

Walls are paper thin, can hear conversations in next room, They don't provide blankets, just thin top sheets. Door to bathroom didn't close properly, breakfast was a zoo, too many people in one small space.

The Savannah Best Western goes out of their way to make your stay wonderful. The concierge "Mary" is outstanding. The location means you can park your car and never need it till you leave the city. We will be back.

First of all, this place is a MOTEL not a hotel. I just can't believe what we had to pay to stay in a MOTEL with our rooms on the outside, making us deal with the noise of drunk partiers and motorcycles. Yes, the Manager was very nice. She explained that "everybody just loves this place because of the location" and "every room has a white noise machine and we can supply ear plugs." Just what you want to hear when you're paying $388 for one night. I would never had chosen this MOTEL if it was actually called a MOTEL. I have never been so disappointed with a stay at a Best Western in my life.

Staff is great, rooms clean and updated. Very close to river walk. Pet friendly. Great breakfast foods. Well worth the money spent. Only thing missing was a microwave in the room. Cab lk e tv, fridge etc was there.

The room was very comfortable and clean. The hotel is a couple of blocks from City Market and River Street. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was a great surprise a lot to choose from. The beds were comfortable and pillow very soft!

The location was most excellent. One block from City Market in front and one block from River Street in the back. Would have been excellent if the room had a microwave and a comfort height toilet. Since this is a motel and not a hotel the outside noise level was high plus guests hangout outside their rooms.

We arrived her around 7:30 pm last Thursday in the pouring rain. Being a platinum member, I usually always get recognized for my brand loyalty, but not this time. We asked where we could get something to eat and he was kinda vague about it and having never been in this city, we pressed our luck and headed towards the river. Our room was okay, but the door on the cabinet to the frog was broke so no matter how hard we tried to close it, it always seemed to be open. The door on the bathroom was also broke. The main thing that worried us the most was the air conditioner. My husband works in the HVAC field and he looked at the unit and we saw that the filter was very dirty and looked like they hadn't been changed in quite so time. With the Covid pandemic still in full swing, i would think a national brand as big as BW would change out their filter for the sake of their customers and the staff. When we took a shower after dinner that first night, they bathtub would not drain. We did report it the next morning and it was fixed when we returned. They won't clean your room due to covid unless you ask, which we did but it had to be scheduled for 9am, which was fine since we were out, but what if we weren't. Towels (thin) are handed out if you want new ones but you have to return your dirty ones to the desk. The room was clean. The breakfast was pretty typical in the chain and it was good. We never saw or used the pool. The location! We walked everywhere from this hotel. Savannah is a very walkable city and the location of this hotel is excellent! They also have a concierge on site, Mary and she is wonderful! She arranged tours for us, gave us great direction to Bonaventure Cemetery and Tybee Island. She also provided us with great restaurant suggestions and other general help. Hats off to you Mary! The do charge $22.00 per day to park so please be aware of that.

From check in through check out, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean. Bathroom great size. Beds comfy. Note that the location is a busy street howver there are sound machines in the room. Location is so close to River Street.

good location , but tight ... my handicap room was small but worked fine ...the walk in shower was excellent ...the staff was excellent .... a very clean facility .... parking is tight , because of the location ..

This motel was centrally located, clean, and safe. The best western free breakfast was large and delicious. The bed was comfortable, there was a refrigerator in the room, and the shower was hot with good pressure. We were blown away by the beauty of this walkable city.

I had a friend who had stayed in Savannah a few weeks ago and she said they stayed here and that it was convenient for everything. I liked that we could walk to city market and down to the river area. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.

This hotel is in the heart of Savannah! Restaurants, the market, & shopping are just steps away. The waterfront is one block away which offers restaurants & other shops. It's a great hotel for family/pets! I highly recommend!

We have been to Savannah many times but stayed in another hotel that is no longer there. We booked this Best Western. It was so beautiful and clean and in such a good location. Walking distance so many things. Everyone was so pleasant and helpful.

Very Nice accommodations!! Located in the Historic District - One block off the River Walk, close to shops, restaurants. You can walk to a number of the historic sites. Pets welcome (this was a huge plus for our stay).

Stopped overnight on a roadtrip with 2 children. found out after check in that pool was out of order. The Internet was not working in my room. Fiberglass insulation coming out of the door to the bathroom not allowing it to close fully. Miss Jeannette , the front desk supervisor has an extremely poor attitude and demeanor and offered zero viable solutions. Bathtub was clogged and no resolution was provided until the next day. When maintenance finally snaked the drain, dirt and grime was flung all over the bathroom and soiled all of our toiletries and toothbrushes. Disgusting just begins to describe the unsanitary conditions that he left. There are many nice hotels in the area, please book a different one.

A friend and I stayed here for two nights before moving on to a local bed and breakfast. We stayed in 314 and enjoyed our stay. Our stayed at the front of the hotel and even though there was some noise, our window air conditioner served as white noise. lol The a/c worked really well, so after a long day we came back to a cool room. We found the beds comfortable and slept well. The location was close to River street and easy to walk. We didn't eat breakfast, so i don't have any comments on that. But we slept really well. My friend even commented she slept better at the Best Western than the Bed and Breakfast. We only stayed at a Bed and Breakfast to end the trip, because she had never stayed there and wanted that experience. But after the trip, she told me she slept better at the Best Western.

When we checked in, they said the pool is open. When the kids wanted to go there after a long day of driving, they then said the pool is closed. Internet did not work in our room and they blamed our devices on it although none of our 4 devices worked. Door to the bathroom was broke. Shower was clogged and when it finally drained in the morning after one shower, there was hair, and other undefinable dirt everywhere. They wld not fix it until the next morning and when they did, the handyman entered the room w out mask, using a pressure tool all the dirt Came out the sink pipe splattering our tooth brushes and other toiletries including the bathroom wall. He left w out mentioning it or cleaning it.

Paid $22 to park in a back alley then was rudely questioned by a woman who worked in housekeeping. Front desk help was lovely. Housekeeping staff looked like strung-out junkies. Located right off a highway. Didn't feel safe. Loud location.

My family and I and awesome girls trip Best Western is the best place to stay it's located on Bay Street where all the attractions are and a few steps away from River Street such an amazing place with breathtaking views it's the Best Western stay for me so go try it out , I'm sure you will love it !!!

Great location!! Centrally located - walkable to everywhere in the Historic District of Savannah. The desk staff and those who took care of the breakfast area were extremely nice and friendly. I can give only 4 out of 5 stars, however, for the following reasons: 1) The 2nd day we were there, our room did not get cleaned. We were told that our room would get cleaned only if we requested it. 2) The box of kleenex in the room had only 3 tissues in it. 3) There was only 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper, and no replacement in the room. 4) There was not a single glass or cup in the room, even though there was a coffeemaker.

Requested a ground floor room due to traveling with someone that has to use a scooter or walker. Upon check in, I was advised "All our first floor rooms are still dirty" and this was at 4:00 check in time. Never was offered to wait for one to be cleaned, instead we were given a room on the 3rd floor at the back of the building. Luckily the elevator was easy to use. The room really wasn't big enough to be able to park the scooter in the room and then be able to move about. We had a two bed room and it was a very tight squeeze to get around in the room with three people. The water pressure in the shower was a joke. Not really sure if I ever got all the shampoo out of my hair?? But the staff in general was very friendly and helpful except for the room location issue.

The front desk staff were delightful! Their exceptional courtesy, efficiency, and friendliness added to the enjoyment of stay in Savannah. Our room was very clean, comfortable and sanitized so commendation to the housekeeping staff ! It was also very nice to be greeted every morning with the 2 cheerful lovely ladies who worked very hard in the kitchen to have a nice breakfast prepared and ready for guests. In addition, the location was perfect enabling us to walk to main attractions and restaurants. This Best Western hospitality here is A plus and we would happily recommend it to other travelers.

Very nice stay. The location is excellent! Close to absolutely everything, right across from the new posh Riverside Plant district. The room was a bit small, but very comfy with lots of storage space. Very roomy bathroom, but I was not a fan of the double doors. The staff were friendly,helpful, and kind. Breakfast was pretty good, though the hot food was barely warm. The room was always a bit damp, even with the A/C on. If you want a quieter room,get one on the back side of the hotel to avoid the Bay Street noise. The biggest drawback was the parking. There are multiple lots, but the spill over lot is actually not on hotel property, and on a rainy night that was a drag. Honestly for the price, this hotel is hard to beat.

Great location. Close to river and the market area. Liquor store close. Breakfast was good and included hot items. One day they had bacon which was plentiful. Parking was easy and secure. Best thing was the location. Could easily walk everywhere.

Very great location for Savannah, especially since we didn't get a rental car. It was in walking distance to historic down town. Mary, helped us get tickets for the hop on hop off bus. The breakfast was very good especially considering covid.

So much fun! Eric was extremely helpful and always went out of his way to say hello and assist our family as needed. It is nice to see staff so willing to accommodate their guests with a smile on their face. Also we had the pleasure of meeting Craig on our last day who also was helpful and friendly.

Rooms open to the outside...very noisy. There was an issue with our reservation, when we asked the clerk to attempt to deconflict the issue, I was told "no, but you can call if you want" The location was wonderful. The motel sits between the historic district and the river walk. Super convenient.

This hotel is perfectly located on Bay Street to allow you to walk to both City Market and River Street in less than 5 minutes, while being away from the crowds of the main section. The rooms open to the outside, not an inside corridor. While I didn't realize that prior to booking, since my room was directly in front of the lobby door, I didn't feel unsafe. The breakfast was adequate. It was especially nice to have the option of a full breakfast again rather than the grab bags offered at some hotels. The room I was in had been recently painted and furniture looked fairly new. The flooring did not look new, and was very worn. Overall the room was clean, but it was not perfect, as there was collected dirt in the corners and old dust on some surfaces. Overall though, I think this was a great value for the location and I do plan to stay here again.

Centrally located in downtown Savannah. Very cost effective. Would stay again. We enjoyed being close to the downtown Historic district. City market is just blocks away as is the river front area. Wonderful location and price.

The room smelled of smoke, and it was filthy. I took a wash cloth out of the bathroom and disinfected all the surfaces, when finished it was black with surface dirt. The carpeting was also stained everywhere. I called the lobby and they sent a supervisor who was very nice she sprayed the main floor with a liquid that had a sent that masked the smell of smoke, but it didn't last long. They didn't offer us a new room nor did they seem to care. I suggest they take the BEST out Best Western, and just call it the Western.

Came to Savannah to celebrate my sisters 50th birthday. The hotel location was perfect, we could walk to all of the popular spots. There is some noise as we are on a busy road, but not enought to bother me, but is may bother others. I am sure it is the same for other hotels on Bay St. If you stay, please see Mary at the concierge . She was wonderful with booking tours and suggesting restaurants and must sees in the area.

We originally booked three nights at the Best Western through a third party vacation service because the weights were pretty economical. However before the trip we decided to extend our vacation by two nights and so I called Best Western and asked him if we could add two more nights and they said we had to go through the third service provider which that third service provider couldn't help us and told us to talk to Best Western so ultimately we were not able to add the two nights extra stay at the best restroom. Secondly when we checked in we were charged an extra $22 a night so an extra $66 for parking for three nights. Now the hotel is very clean The staff was very friendly The breakfasts were pretty good with the exception of the potatoes being cold and the biscuits being cold. However the staff was very nice and it was very well maintained property overall. The reason for my three out of five stars was due to fact that our room was never serviced in the three nights that we stayed there we were never provided extra towels or replacement soaps that you would find at most hotels the next morning or the next afternoon. and normally at most hotel change your towels are changed out every day in ours were never changed out. Also the hot and cold water knob kept falling off the shower whereby you either had to take a cold shower or a extremely hot shower. The great thing about the hotel is that your within walking distance of most of the downtown historic district and the river district areas. I would consider staying here again with the hope that we would get better service every morning even though we booked the hotel through a service third service provider. If not then I would maybe try a different economy hotel chain.

We spent four nights in Savannah. Our B&B was only available for 3 nights, so we decided to try here for the final night. I have to say that while not necessarily a mistake, it is not somewhere I would choose again. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during check in. No issues there. The location is on the waterfront-ish. No issues there. The room was clean. No issues there. So why the low rating? We paid $422 to stay here. That is stupid. All the other hotels were the same price, so please choose another. (We were here because the other couple we travelled with had chosen this hotel.) I don't understand how the BW gets away with charging this amount. The room, although clean, was musty. The breakfast, although plentiful, was cold. And the concierge ordered a cab to take us to the airport, but this was the oldest, about-to-fall-apart cab I had ever been in. And it was the cab company recommended and ordered by the hotel (called on the concierge's cell phone and spoken to on a first-name basis). I just can't, in any way, imagine staying here again or suggesting other people do so.

The location is perfect only one or two blocks from River Street and historic Savannah.. Clean Rooms with nistalgic decor of famous landmarks in the area.. Multiple places to eat within walking distance... Most of the surrounding restaurant's deliver as well... The pool is secluded and well kept.. friendly hotel staff.. They were helpful and accommodating..

We had a room facing West Bay. The room was clean and comfortable. However, there are trucks on West Bay that pass through the night. Book a room in the back to avoid the noise. The concierge was very helpful. She scheduled the hop on/off for us and arranged transportation to their station. She also reviewed a map with us pointing out areas of interest.

My wife and I stayed at the BW Savannah Historic District, last week, leaving on Sunday. We have stayed a couple of times before. The staff is friendly and helpful. With the CoVid restrictions, they are not able to clean rooms daily, but that seems to be the norm, now days. The have renovated and updated the hotel since last time we stayed. It is nice. We like it because to the river and close to the Market. The rates are good compared to others in this area. We will be back.

I'm not a fan of BW in general, but this location was exceptional. I was able to bring my dogs. The rooms were insulated well. The beds were comfortable. The room was small but very clean. The staff was kind. Parking was a little expensive and crazy, but that's everywhere in the city, and it worked out fine. Best of all is the location. It's steps away from stairs leading down to River Walk. There's a taco place right there to die for and a Starbucks. You really cannot beat the location for that price. I will stay here every time I come to Savannah.

I was enroute from Naples FL to Boston MA on 3/31/2021. I had booked two nights at this hotel through hotels.com. Our car broke down (engine ceased) in Orlando and could not be repaired.. Called hotel same day to advise them of situation and cancel because of situation we were facing. WAS TOLD BY HOTELS.COM AND Best western we would be charged for one night.. tried for 4 days to reach a manager to discuss.. left messages on a Managers voicemail at least 5 times and no one would return a phone call.. after having to spend 4 days in Orlando trying to rectify our auto issue, called hotel again and left a message for a senior manager, Lisa, and now its April 7 and Still cant get anyone to return my call... pretty bad when no one will even return a phone call..Poor customer service.. never will stay at a Best Western again. The hotel was in a perfect location to get to River St. Weather was cool, but the pool was warm and in sunny location. Great variety in breakfast options. Yet felt safe eating among others. All wore masks. Bed was too soft for my tastes.

Professional and welcoming staff, very clean and comfortable rooms, loved how dark the rooms were with plantation shutters and a shade, and a built in white noise machine which works great because it is a busy area with people walking by late into the night and traffic. The bed was very comfortable, but the pillows were too big and puffy for my preference. The room had a very large bathroom, very clean and nice, coffee maker and refrigerator, would've liked a microwave in the room, but there was one to use in the lobby. Small pool, very nice and clean. Parking available and walking distance to the river and city market area. I would recommend.

The title says it all--very central location, an extremely friendly and accommodating staff and a good value. The BW historic district is my first choice when staying in Savannah. A very special thanks to Jeanette and Moet at the front desk. I will be back!

would not stay there again .breaffast area was ALWAYS out of water. food quality was bad.and trying to get towels from staff was like pulling teeth.the taxes added to the bill were ridiculous and even charge you to park in thier lot.

1st time we stayed here. Location was great. did not have to used our car. could walk to all the places we wanted to see. Right in the historical district and near the waterfront. room clean and nice. Parked in front of our room. Price was good.

This was our second stay here. The location is very convenient to River St, City market and many places in the historic district. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bath was a little small but very workable. Our check in and out was fast and the staff was pleasant and efficient. We did not eat the breakfast but it looked pretty standard for this type of hotel and the area was clean. Good value for the money. With Bay St right in front there was some street noise at times but again not overly objectionable.

Don't stay at this property during any college spring breaks. Drunken college kids screaming outside until 2am every night. Great location though if you want to walk River St or downtown. Also ask about all the extra fees, $35 per night in taxes and fees as well as $22 per night for parking and not enough parking spaces. They don't clean the rooms without you asking (wasn't told prior) and have to constantly ask for towels. Our room didn't even have a shower curtain. Breakfast buffet was great though. You can get a full hot meal.

29 degrees outside and we had no heat. Beds old and lumpy. Staff was accommodating with regard to our first room which smelled like smoke in a totally non smoking hotel but second room had no heat and staff should have known this.

Very clean! Comfortable beds! Easy to explore great town of Savannah! Short walk to market square to visit wet willies for great pina colada's. Friendly city with wonderful restaurants close by. Till I visit again...

Room was ready when we showed up. Everthing worked fine. Great staff at the Front Desk all 3 nights we stayed. VERY friendly & informative/helpful. Only a block from the river (walk down the steps behind the hotel.) Easy walking distance to pretty much anywhere in Savannah. We'll be back!

location is great for walking around to everything. And even though COVID-19 has been around for almost a year they advertise you get breakfast with your selected room as if it is a bonus you will get a grab and go (bottle water, package muffin) We stayed 3 nights and only were able to get 1 day of that because they were completely out of everything with 1 hr left in their breakfast hours

Everything seemed to be great about the hotel when we arrived. Room was clean and seemed good for the price. However, there were people yelling all night and talking loudly. Someone told the people to be quiet and an altercation formed in which they continued to yell for hours. I kid you not- hours. It would get quiet and you thought it was over and it started again. Safe to say, I will never stay there again as management did nothing for the issue.

I was a bit hesitant about reserving here after the negative reviews but I was pleasantly surprised and so glad we saved a few bucks and booked here. The location is absolutely perfect. Within walking distance to everything. The hotel was room was clean and beds were comfortable. I would recommend and would return again.

We paid $170 for a night, we later went to shower and there were no towels when we called the front desk they said the washing machine was broke and they didn't have any and didn't even try to offer a solution. Very disappointed definitely not worth the money.

We loved the location and the rooms were very clean! All the staff was friendly and every greeted us every day. The beds were very comfortable and I loved the blackout curtains I slept like a baby. Can't wait to come back asap!

The location is great but it cannot make up for a room that smelled like a dog kennel with urine soaked carpet. We paid a pet fee I expect the room to be odorless. Tge ventilation system did not work which magnified the smell. The mattress had a huge dip on one side I had to hug my husband on the other side like sleeping in a twin bed. Not worth the stay. Too many hotel choices for the same price range.

Reasonably priced hotel on the very edge of the historic district, also on the very edge of a sketchy neighborhood. Room interior was the same as what we have come to love and expect of Best Western, and that makes it worth it. Nice price for this area.

We stayed at this BW November 20,21, and 22. Our stay was great from the minute we arrived. We realized we forgot an Apple Watch and iPhone charger and the front desk clerks volunteered to help, they even volunteered to loan us their personal chargers. The room was very clean. The entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect. Highly recommend!!

we are on our Honeymoon, and just traveling south. Planning to stay at other Best Westerns along the way. Right now we are at the one in Daytona Beach Florida and will be here for at least 2 days before traveling on down south.

Valet Nicholas was extremely courteous, helpful, friendly and a knowledgeable in recommending places to have meals and directions, He Made our trip a wonderful experience. Valet Tra was just as helpful and courteous.

It was a great location, quick access to River Street. We didn't experience any problems during our stay which I didn't think we would. Stay clear of the liquor store next door! The room darkening blinds was wonderful since we was facing The Alida and the lights shine in. Room was plenty big enough for the two of us and ample room if we had more guests.

Booked online due to the reviews and it fell way below our expectations. Mold in the room and bathroom. Stains on bed. Odor in room and a/c didn't work well and bed were very hard. Came with my family and expected a better experience. We booked online and the office staff was not helpful at all. Terrible experience.

First room we were in had something on/in the carpet that made your feet turn black. Had to get another room. Disgusting. Outside stairwell lights not operating. Not safe. Outside walkways were filthy, beer cans and cigarette butts everywhere, shrubbery not trimmed by the sidewalks. Key cards consistently failed so we had to go down to the office to get them re-scanned.

Not what I would have expected from Best Western. Hidden charges, dirty bathroom and towels. NO HOT WATER during our stay. Requested handicap access room on my reservation. Placed in a room fartherest from elevator. Very disapointed. Anniversary trips are not supposed to be this way!

Excellent service, price and quality. All employees went out of there way to make sure our stay was great. Room was very clean. Hotel is pet friendly which was a must for us and our friends. Hotel is only one block from the riverfront. able to walk to dinner and most attractions.

First, Georgia is not doing so well with stopping the spread of Covid, About 80% of the people we saw walking about were not wearing masks or social distancing. So be careful traveling in Georgia. However this hotel was on it! Masks were required, they provided a sack breakfast instead of the buffet, and the rooms were very clean. There was a huge hotel grand opening behind this one, and the management kindly moved us further away from the noise. The bedding was soft and comfy. There was a refrigerator in the room. Our room was modern with pretty colors and modern materials. We were there for 3 nights and enjoyed the pool, which felt great on a hot August afternoon. The hotel location was 1 block from the Riverwalk area and its bars and shopping, and on the edge of the historic area - very walkable! 2 Blocks away was a stop for the Hop On, Hop Off tour bus. We had an early departure, and the front desk was able to prepare our sack breakfast early for us. I felt that they really cared about us and our stay, and I would stay here again.

This was our first time here and we loved it so close to everything we parked the car and was able to get to everything we needed to they keep the property looking good and very clean and well kept the rooms are very clean and very comfortable I would definitely stay here again.

This was the first stop of a near 4000 mile road trip..... This hotel is in the heart of the historic downtown ....close to all the happenings..... Room was clean and tidy. However, the cover for the wall/floor mounted A/C unit was just barley on...clearly one friction bracket was broken. This caused the unit to vibrate and make noise. Also when my traveling buddy, Pua the persnickety pig bumped it, it fell completely off. I hope the hotel didn't apply additional charges ....thinking my pig caused the damage.....must check my Amex bill... Limited grass for pets....... Overall it was ok.

Considering the unprecedented times we're all experiencing with COVID, I think I pretty much got what I expected from the price range and start classification of this hotel. Considering the current situation, I can rate it a 7-8 and would probably recommend. Had I have the same experience without COVID in the picture, I'd probably rate this hotel as 4/10 being 10 an excellent experience.

The room was clean, beds were comfortable. There was a mini fridge, and a white noise machine, but sadly no microwave in the room. The ladies I interacted with at the front desk were super nice and friendly.

We did not have a reservation, pulled in had a nice clean room in minutes. Great price, location was perfect walking distance from all the places we wanted to visit. Newly remodeled rooms very nice, great staff very accommodating helpful and friendly. Was quiet comfortable and a safe place to stay. We stayed 5 nights and will stay there next time we visit Savannah Georgia.

My son and I traveled with our dog and had a fabulous stay! They put us in a room off to the edge of the hotel which makes so much more sense with animals. So we didn't see a bunch of traffic in front of our room. The dog was happy , I was comfortable and my son was safe!

I needed a last minute room, late night on a holiday weekend. I was lucky enough to go find The BW still had a room available. The check in experience was seamless and the staff so very helpful, even late night and last minute. My room was clean, spacious and had a beautiful view of the Talmadge Bridge. I absolutely would return and recommend a stay if you're in Savannah.

If you need a room and don't want to pay much and don't care about anything like the loud construction then this is an ok place. Full review... We stayed there 4 nights, myself and my teenage daughter. The room was not cleaned once. I'm good with not making the beds but no clean towels and they didn't change the trash. It was very loud in the morning, which was made tolerable by the sound machine that was in the room and having the fan from the AC on. Oh and bonus...you get to pay $22 a night for parking in a lot that is not secure and you can't even park near your room. Seems to be a half way decent neighborhood but I live near Detroit so don't base that on my review. The last night the construction workers that were staying their decided to have a karaoke party in the parking lot, again this didn't effect me because we were far enough away but I could only imagine the people close to that were to happy. As for the room. It was decent nothing fancy wasn't gross but wasn't the nicest. Based on the look of the outside I was pleasantly surprised by the inside of the room.

The room was clean and in a good location to be able to walk just about everywhere. One lamp had a USB port which was great for us as we forgot a charging block. The one night we turned the tv on it cut in and out- it was satellite so likely a weather related issue. The blackout curtain was nice to have. Seemed like a safe enough place- we had no issues during our stay. Parking is a little tight and given that it's $22 a day I would have liked it to of at least been fenced in, but they did claim that it was patrolled. Due to Coronavirus the pool and fitness center were closed and there was no breakfast. They also did not clean the room during our stay (3 nights). We were fine hanging our towels and reusing, but if you were staying a longer time you may need to request additional towels. I suggest requesting an extra blanket at check in. All we had was a thin blanket between two flat sheets.

DO NOT pay extra to get less! The COVID-19 notations online of what wasn't available did not include pool or breakfast. They actually still advertise them. However, once there you are told the pool is not open. Staff stated none were allowed to be open, yet other hotels in the area were open. Just be honest about the reason. Breakfast consisted of a small muffin, Mandarin orange, and maybe a water in a brown sack. Those who were lucky enough to get a water did not get a cold one. On the bright side, the linens, bathroom and desk tops were clean in the room. The hotel is close to a lot of stores and restaurants besides the historic factor. Area questionable after dark. I can't remember when I have stayed at a BW before but this will bethe last. Not a fan!

The front desk agent at check-in was friendly. Yes, parking is $22/night. It's a good location because you are very close to the riverwalk but you will not have a view of the riverwalk, water, or the bridge. The room is very nice and clean. The bed/mattress is extremely comfortable. Keep in mind the hotel is motel-style meaning your door is outside. This also means you will hear your neighbors and a number of them will hang outside their hotel doors. Plus, you can hear people in the street. I encountered a problem - my A/C did not work. I called and the front desk person never had maintenance come to fix it.

We stayed for a 3 nights, close to city market for night entertainment and lots of food options. Close drive in to Tybee Island, even though things were closed still had an amazing time great staff, great location.

We made a reservation for a one night stay during our travels. We arrived after a 12 hour drive.only to find every door locked. We spoke to a painter who explained the hotel was closed. When we told him we had a reservation he said he would see what he could do. He found the front desk clerk getting into her car. She returned and finally checked us in. I spoke with the concierge in the morning who couldn't believe it. She arranged for me to speak to the head front desk person who seemed indifferent. She wouldn't do anything for us. Upon arrival at our final destination I called Expedia who contacted the hotel on our behalf. They got back to me in a timely manner and told us the hotel wasn't willing to do anything for us. I then contacted Best Western's Head office. The hotel said they tried to contact me but there was no record of a call on my phone. I emailed the hotel but got no response. I contacted Head Office again who advised the hotel was not willing to do anything for me. We stayed at 3 best Westerns during our trip. The other two had great staff who bent over backwards for you. That is what I am used to in a Best Western. I will no longer book a Best Western or book any rooms for my clients ( I am a travel agent) I travel extensively and book many hotels but no more Best Western for me or my clients!!! This took a total of 41 days to get no where!!!

at first, we were concerned about the noise since its right next to a military base and the planes come and go all day. However, they seem to stop at night which was fine. However, the one night we were there, they did not clean our room. when I went to the front desk to reprogram out keys (no explanation why or how they got erased) the clerk pulled out a loose leaf book and pointed to where the maid indicated that our do not disturb sign was out. Certainly it was, but when we left, we took it off the door. Apparently, no one ever checked back. To make matters worse, she had an attitude.

It might be a nice hotel but there are inconsistent practices. Book at your peril - they won't refund your money Due to changes in my travel plans I had to book and cancel this hotel twice over approximately the same period. As confirmed on the BW website, there were two confirmation numbers and two cancellation numbers. I cancelled in accordance with the BW terms and conditions but have been charged a $107 no show. In protracted correspondence with BW customer care not one member of staff has looked accurately at the record showing two cancellations. In one email, BW says the hotel held the room ”in good faith”. Well, in good faith, I cancelled but still they hold on to my money. They say there was only one cancellation. I have provided BW with screenshots from its own website showing two cancellation confirmations but still they refuse the evidence in front of their eyes in black and white. DO NOT RESEVE A ROOM AT THIS HOTEL IF THERE IS A RISK OF CANCELLATION. THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU EVEN IF YOU CANCEL IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS. Sent from my iPad

We spent 2 nights here. Our room was recently renovated & the beds were comfortable. The hotel is perfectly located to explore the Riverfront, City Market & the historic squares by foot. The breakfast was delicious...,and offered something for everyone. Many thanks to Miss Mary, the concierge, who helped us reorganize our travel plans which were stymied by Mother Nature. It rained, hard, for most of the 48+ Hours we were here. Instead of exploring the city on foot, she lined us up with a great tour group & recommended several great restaurants.... ensuring our brief visit was a success.

Newly remodeled room was lovely. Mattress, sheets and towels were luxurious. Breakfast buffet had a good selection but was just ok. Location was excellent. Staff eas friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

Newly renovated in a very good manner. Staff very attentive, cordial and gave exellent service. Even thoigh an older style motel, the newly renovated room was excellent, the breakfasts were very good and all of the satff were exceptional.

Presidents' Day weekend 2020 Adult ladies long weekend trip. Best western Savannah Historic district was a nice place to stay and convenient to city market and river street. Check in was annoying. We were early and let them know at front desk we were there but knew we could not get into the room until later. Associate at front desk told us to come back around 1pm. We came back around 3pm and rooms were not ready in the system-we had two rooms. We waited in the lobby until 3:30 and checked again and was told only one room was ready, so we went to that room and noticed that the connecting room was ready but housekeeping had not updated in the system. I went back to the front desk and checked and they had the second room in the system. They did not call us or go out of their way to let us know the room was ready. They only bothered to look at the computer and nothing else. Rooms were nice, however one of the room key cards on first room did not work. Did not discover until second day and luckily we had another card to use. Hotel has free breakfast which was very nice. Times were 6:30am-10am Monday thru Friday and 7am-10am Saturday and Sunday. The breakfast did not stay out until 10 am as it was picked up early at 9:30am. Pillows were very small like accent pillows. We had four per bed but you needed all to make 2 regular pillows. Hotel was going through renovation and sometimes they would bang around on a top floor but, All in all it was ok but customer service could have been better at the front desk.

Horrible!! When you check in they hand you ear plugs. When you reach the room, there is a small sign that tells you to use the noise machine to cover the noise of the street traffic and that of the drunken guests adjacent to your room. Rooms are dark and dated. And I've been in Manhattan hotel rooms that are larger. Like a walk-in closet. No ventilation in the bathroom. The staff is unfriendly and unresponsive. The breakfast buffet is very poor. In addition, they charge $25 to park in the lot that they own. Also, if you read "violations" under more, they have 4 recent health code violations. Avoid this place.

Well situated and comfortable hotel near the river. Good selection for breakfast, helpful desk staff, and great concierge. The staff was very welcoming. If you are a light sleeper, the only drawback is that it is near transport -- no issue if you hail from a large or populous city.

We stayed 3 nights. Newly renovated room was very comfortable. Water height in toilet needs to be adjusted (down). Good wifi. Good selection for breakfast. $22 per night for parking compares favourably with local parking garages. Elevator to floors 2 and 3.

Stayed with family in December 19 for a night while on a road trip to Washington DC.Comfortable and quiet hotel but only minutes walk from waterfront and historic cobbled street areas which are being restored. Lots of history here and we walked around town and everywhere has been preserved with many public squares.Walked home at night from restaurant and felt quite safe. Enjoyed the complimentary breakfast before we headed off the next morning to Charlotte.

We just spent three nights at the BW Savannah in the Historic District. I couldn't believe that they had a (wonderful) concierge to help you with all kinds of reservations. The staff are immensely helpful and so kind. Breakfast was great - lots of options for both healthy and hearty eaters. The coffee was very tasty. You sure can't beat the price. You're near the river and near the historic squares. If you take the Trolley, it stops very close to the hotel. Lulu's, a splendid place to get the best chocolate treats, whether cakes or chocolate martinis, is just nearby - definitely a plus! We will sure stay here again.

We were in a room on the second floor facing the river. The elevator was convenient. The room was quiet, clean and the beds very comfortable.. The price was great, considering the wonderful complimentary breakfast and the hotel's location.The staff was friendly and helpful. The concierge helped schedule a tour, that picked us up at the hotel door, and also pointed out what we could accomplish in one day. The hotel charges for parking but let us keep our car there through the afternoon.The hotel is adjacent to the City Market and walking distance to the River Street waterfront. Lots of great restaurants nearby. We rode the the Hop On, Hop Off tour bus the entire route and than went around again stopping at several landmarks and also at Paula's Dean's "Lady and Sons" Restaurant. Great southern lunch buffet.

Some UGA Students were at our hotel. They got in Friday and Saturday overnight at around 2:30. They were screaming to each other across the hotel, and down to the street to friends that would pass by. They were playing extremely loud, vulgar music, and slammed into my door. I called down to the front desk and was told that the security guard would get them back in their rooms, but the noise continued until around 4:45. Saturday night when it happened again and I called the front desk and nothing was happening, my husband then called down and soon thereafter the noise died down, but was still audible until around 4:45. I understand kids being kids. but the hotel should have taken care of this before we had to make two calls! And after the issue on Friday night, they should have been more prepared for the issue on Saturday night!

Property location is great for exploring Savannah. Staff is very helpful. The property is showing age, but is under a major renovation. Parking is additional $21 but that is to be expected in this area. Public parking is reasonable, if you can find it.

Location was great for access to River Street shops and restaurants. The rooms were very clean and bed was comfy. The breakfast selection was awesome - much better than the typical "free breakfast" that's included with many hotels in this chain. The in-room coffee was very good (if you're a coffee drinker like me, that's important!) The staff was very friendly and helpful. Some reviews stated street noise was an issue - I actually thought hotel was fairly quiet. Will definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, room was very clean, and location was great . River Street was behind Hotel , a little walking to get there. And the City Market was less than 5 minutes in front of the Hotel. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back!

In all fairness, this is an older hotel that is currently being renovated. We chose it as it was close to things we wanted to see. As the title says the mattress's were the best we had slept on over many years of traveling. They are firm, not rock hard, so you don't wake up with sore hips. And as the room doors open to the exteior, expect some street noise. That said, the staff were friendly and very helpful. And the hotel is in pretty good shape for it's age.

This hotel is super pet friendly which is always a plus for our family as we enjoy bringing our furry ones with us. Plenty of space to walk our dog, and Savannah proved to be pretty pet friendly as well, so feel free to bring them along to explore the city as well. This is not a luxurious hotel- it's a motel pretty much a block from Market City and River street where you can find a ton of restaurants and shops. I'll stay here again if we're in the area. I do wish the decor/furniture was updated

Clean rooms, nice breakfast, helpful staff. Parking is expensive add on. One time we could not find a sot to park coming back to hotel. Nice to walk to all shops and restaurants on River St. Friday and Saturday nights are loud as there are lots of people having fun.

Close to historic district and square with hit or miss parking at hotel. When hotel offers ear plugs take heed. Trucks and traffic passes next to hotel and can be annoying. I am not a light sleeper and I am up by 530am. Truck noises woke me up couple of times

At 10:30 PM people entered the room next to mine, and started yelling, cursing, using four letter words that could be heard all over the hotel. They talked about sex acts, what they were going to do to each other later. They tried to enter our room through the jointing door. My daughter and was scared that they might break through and enter our room. I called the front desk and it got quite for about 35 minutes. It started again around 11:30, they were using F_ _K, A_ _ H_ _ E, and every curse word and phase known to mankind, they started throwing up, we heard that several times (3-5), then they went outside to the parking lot and screamed at each other from the room to the lot for 45 minutes to an hour. Finely, since it had been going on since 10 PM and your staff were not going to call the police or stop it, we checked out at 5 AM, we would have left before but I did not want to go outside , they were smoking dope and you could smell it in our room and out our door. Three or four men and women were standing outside. We told the lady that check us out about what was going on and she said “ they will have to pay a cleaning charge”. No I am sorry.

This was my second stay at this property. It's not the only pet friendly choice- just the easiest and best priced. I can't imagine a more convenient situation: never a problem parking close to your room and safely leaving your car (you're in the historic district and virtually on the river so you might not be using it much), walking the dog is a breeze, the rooms are safe,quiet and clean and the staff are uniformly friendly, helpful and always follow through with anything that you need. The entire situation for me- travelling with just my dog- is perfect. And the value that I get at this hotel is outstanding.

This place is great!!! Walking distance to most everything you would want to see or do while here in Savannah. The staff is absolutely PHENOMENAL, they called shortly after we checked in to see if everything was ok with the room and if we needed anything. I've stayed in several “high end” hotels and have never had that happen. I am actually writing this review in the lobby while eating their complimentary breakfast, which by the way is as awesome as the staff here is. You have to pay $22.00 dollars for parking but since you are walking distance to everything it's no big deal because the private lots are $18.00 and you would spend may more at the metered spots around the city. Highly recommend this place!

Make sure you book a room online before arriving to this hotel, they do not offer discounted rates for reward members or AARP members. There is a $22 dollar a day charge for parking your vehicle. The rooms were up to date, and the facility was clean.

So the location was amazing but really loud at night. We were in the backside facing the ally and the parties went on till after 3am. They supply earplugs in the lobby.. but otherwise the front staff was amazing.. food was great and atmosphere was lively..

Great breakfast. Room older, but comfortable. Good location in the historic area near the river front. Good value. Didn't care for the $22 per day to park a car. Hop on/hop off tour trolley stop just around the corner. Concierge on site to help with tours, restaurants, etc.

Out of a 6 day trip and 3 Best Western locations, this one was my favorite! Normally I would avoid a location that charges for parking, however due to the location it was totally worth it! Once I parked my car I never had to move it. The hotel helped me arrange an Old Savannah Tour, called for a shuttle to take me to the beginning stop. The hotel is only one short block from stop # 16 so you could easily hop on and off there. The hotel is easy walking distance to the historic district as well. The lady that booked my tour also recommended Molly McPherson as a good place to eat, she was right the burger and fries were excellent and within walking distance to the hotel. I found all of the staff to be friendly, welcoming and very helpful. It felt like everyone truly wanted you to enjoy your stay there! Breakfast area was large, food was very good and well presented. The water pressure could have been a bit better, but no big deal. The hotel has easy access to the highway, and since you could see the suspension bridge from there it made it easier to find my way back from walking around the historic district. I fully plan on making another trip to Savannah, I enjoyed my vacation enough to know I want to come back and the staff at this Best Western is part of that decision!

We had a wonderful time in Savannah, the staff at the BW were very friendly and helpful and the location made it easy to get around.walking or by city transit. Shopping and restaurants were only a few blocks away.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a great spot that is extremely walkable. There was also no issue with parking. I'm not sure if this is the case for all of the rooms, but we had one facing the road, so it was a little noisy since people tend to stay out late. However, it was clean and well kept up.

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The facility was very clean and centrally located among everything. We really enjoyed our first time in Savannah for our anniversary. Walking distance to the river walk and art market areas!!

This hotel was very good. My only disappointment was there was nothing for breakfast for lactose intolerant people. Other than that the room was small, but clean, check in and check out was expedicious, and staff were helpful and friendly. The best part of this hotel is Mary, the consierge. Not only did she book our tour of Savannah with the best tour guide of all time, she even escorted us to the bus. Mary made this city come alive for my husband and me.

This is a must stay. Clean rooms, comfy beds and staff are overwhelming nice. Close to everything and quiet. In lobby of hotel, they helped us with all tickets we needed for tours, boat rides, etc. The breakfast bar was good with a variety of items and again, the staff were all very nice and helpful. We will be staying here again. Most hotels here are very loud, however, it was peaceful and quiet here.

Price is right for the location -- but you have to overlook stained upholstery and cold eggs. Gotta wonder about a hotel that hands out ear plugs when you check in. We were fortunately not ON Bay Street, and I'm a sound sleeper -- but was still awakened by partiers. Construction noises began the next day @ 7 am. Breakfast is pretty much what you expect. Cold eggs, but nice sausage. Should have gone with the waffle! Coffee creamer curdled. Comfy bed, nice staff.

Comfortable rooms. Free Breakfast and wi-fi. Free lobby concierge service is excellent for hints to see the city easily and well. Beds and pillows comfortable. Single channel TV. Rooms comfortable, practical, and very clean. Hearty breakfast with great grits! Nearby clean food and excellent restaurants, The Gray and Fat Radish. Close to Market City, walking distance to DOT, a free public transport service for downtown, and half a block away from Chatam Area Transit whose Route 100X buses run infrequently but take you from the airport to the historic district or nearby the Best Western back to the airport for $5 each, cash.

Stayed here for 2 nights. Clean and comfortable room. Staff was friendly. Very convenient to walk everywhere within the Historic District. Good complimentary breakfast as well. The only reason why I didn't rate it 5 stars was because of the parking charge which I didn't think was necessary. If they want so save some pennies, I suggest they get rid of the complimentary breakfast and allow free parking for their guests. Other than that, everything was swell.

Best Western Savannah Historic District is located about 17 kilometers from Savannah Airport, which is about 20 minutes' drive. The location is right in proper downtown Savannah. Almost every place to visit in Savannah, be it markets, restaurants or places of interest, are all in the vicinity. The entrance to the hotel is from the main road. Parking is available, but for USD 22 a day. The Reception is located on left as you enter, it has one check-in counter. Next to the Reception is a Concierge managed by an elderly lady. Two computers and a printer forms the Business Centre, which is adjacent. There is a medium size lounge in front of the Reception, that doubles up as the dining area for breakfast. Breakfast is from 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM Monday-Friday and from 7 AM to 10 AM on weekends. The spread is average. No other meal is served at the hotel. There is no Bar at the hotel. The hotel has 3 stories,including Ground Floor. The elevator is in front of the Reception. A staircase is also available. The room was sufficiently large and spacious. The bed was large enough and comfortable. Electric kettle with ingredients for coffee and electric iron are provided in the room. There is a minifridge and medium size wardrobe. The washroom has a tub-cum shower and toilet. Wi-Fi is complimentary and the speed was good. There is no intercom or room service. The gym is at one end of the hotel next to the swimming pool. The gym is of small size, available 24 hrs and requires room key for access. The swimming pool is outdoor, heated and small-sized. There is no lifeguard provided. An ATM machine is provided in front of the Reception. Laundry is outsourced by the hotel. Clothes have to be given by 8 AM and they will be back by 4 PM. Negatives: You have to be careful about security as outsiders have easy access to the rooms. The staff are not the best, the housekeeping did not do up the room despite being told. Positives: Great location, low price (consequently lower quality)

This is within walking distance to City Market as well as conveniently close to the historic district and river walk. It was a bit noisy since it's close to the road. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. Breakfast had several choices. The Concierge was extremely knowledgeable as well as helpful. We were surprised that we had pay an additional $22.00 to park in their lot.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, room was very clean and comfortable a little on the noisey side at times but you should expect that being in the center of town, was very happy with our stay and will be willing to stay here again

The property is well managed, the breakfasts were much more than expected with delicious biscuits, along with other cooked options. The hotel is conveniently located in the historic district— within walking distance of great restaurants, shopping, and history. There is very helpful Concierge who will book tours for you and explain how to navigate the historic area. The rooms and decor are “older”, but clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and nice. Overall, a good value.

Pros: Location is within walking district of many sights and restaurants, also very easy to get to from the I-16. The room size was more than what I would have expected for the price and the bathroom was very large. The king bed and sheets were top-notch. Temperature control was good. Staff is helpful overall. The price is very good for this location. Parking wasn't cheap, but good for this area ($22/day) and it was easy and convenient. Cons: It's a bit noisy from the street/traffic noise, although I ultimately had no trouble sleeping. It's nice that they offered a free breakfast, but it was pretty bad. They had the room type I'd reserved wrong at check-in, but I had paperwork that clearly showed what I'd originally reserved and they found me the correct room type.

Located at the entrance of downtown Savannah, this cozy Best Western hotel is a welcome sight to weary travelers looking for sound sleep, bracing coffee, a substantial morning breakfast and overall comfortable and spacious accommodations. This hotel is classic Best Western and met or exceeded my expectations.

Concierge support was excellent. Referred to Trolley ride, many different restaurants, 8th Air Force museum, Riverboat tour and assisted in providing furnishings for our memorial of lost military comrades.

The hotel is located in the heart of the historic district. Easy in and out. Room was very clean and good size. This was our 2nd trip to this hotel and would stay here again. Great place to stay and is easy to get in and out of.

This hotel gave us a dirty room, which we requested to change. We wanted to cancel our other nights, but they wouldn't let us since we reserved through Orbiz. Another girl said she would cancel for us, but once they moved our room we decided to stick it out. She undid the cancellation. When we checked out, we learned they were charging us over $200 more than we reserved it for. After a battle, they did credit my card back the difference. The hotel smelled like mildew and was creepy. The only thing good was the breakfast and location. Had we known what it was like, we would gladly have paid more money to room elsewhere!

My wife and I stopped off in Savannah on our way to Florida for a mini vacation. The hotel was in the historic district walking distance to the sights. Free breakfast was a plus. Parking fee was fair and at the hotel, made it easy to park and tour without the hassles of the paid lots. Their concierge was extremely helpful. I recommend this hotel for a budget conscious.

Great location, very helpful, concierge was very helpful in booking the tours we wanted, clean rooms, comfortable bed, very friendly staff, definitely would stay there again, easy parking that was close to the rooms, very nice place to visit, Savannah is a beautiful city with much to offer

... the location is great and the staff very friendly & helpful, except for the night clerk who is HORRIBLE - she was so busy playing on the computer in the back room she hardly could be bothered with a customer. The first thing she said to me was "don't come behind the desk" which I did to get her attention b/c she was so busy playing in the computer. She finally waddled out from her hideaway and again scolded me for being behind the desk. This gal doesn't know the first thing about customer service, and is a big negative factor in my experience here. The other thing that left me feeling not so great was when I arrived in my room I discovered the previous occupant's clothes still hanging in the closet - clearly the maid hadn't even looked in the closet let alone cleaned it. Yuk! All in all I think I'm being generous to give a 3-star rating. Aside from the location and the friendly daytime staff this place is a 2-star hotel at best. I wouldn't stay here again.

The management and receptionests were the best. The house keeping were something to be desired!! The rooms were dirty and the beds were not cleaned! Our air conditioner didn't work and the refrigerator would not stay shut. The rooms really need an update. The location was very good. The breakfasts were execellent.

We just spent one night in Savannah - so the price of this room was right as well as the location. The hotel is basic. nothing too fancy - staff was nice. We stayed on the 3rd floor facing toward the river front area. There was a decent amount of street noise later at night - they do provide ear plugs do to noise - Savannah is a late night place - if your a light sleeper I recommend not facing the river front area. Also, we were 3 people in 2 double beds - get a bigger room if you are more than 2 ppl!! Breakfast was included and was decent - waffles were good! Would stay again if if was for one night.

This hotel is PERFECTLY positioned for you to park your car with them, and then explore the close-by downtown waterfront district on your feet. (parking is tricky otherwise downtown). The hotel is on a busy street, however we found no problem with the noise once we shut our room door. Large room, very clean. Great a/c and really comfy beds. Really good value compared to other competitor prices nearby.

We went to Savannah for a birthday celebration, this past weekend. We stayed at the Best Western Historic District. The hotel is one street over from River Street and the City Market. It was a perfect location for walking around. Also, highly recommend taking a Trolley tour with Savannah Trolley tours.

Stayed here on our drive from MA to FL. I was a bit nervous because they give you earplugs and have a sound machine in the room. I have no idea why as it was not needed at all. The people who work there are so friendly! The concierge not only got us tickets to a trolley tour, but even arranged transportation to get there! Walking distance to tons of restaurants. Breakfast was amazing as well!

The bride and I stayed here three nights waiting for hurricane Dorian to pass. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The two concierges were knowledgeable and informative. Thank you Ruth Anne. The breakfast is really good. Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits & gravy, toast, rolls, and so much more. Everything is within walking distance, shops, restaurants, River Street, historical tours, etc. You name it, you can walk to it. Seriously. We will definitely stay here the next time we visit Savannah. Loved it!!!!!

This hotel is a good deal if you want to walk to many of the historic spots. Close to river Walk and lots of museums. Our room was clean and mostly quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly. While this may not be the Hilton its a good compromise. The kitchen could use a face lift and the fridge needs to be moved out of the bathroom. I did put water bottles in the fridge but did not use the kitchen, Its basically a closet. Breakfast is decent and typical for this type of hotel. I would stay again if in the area

With hundreds of hotels in Savannah don't pick this one. Savannah is a wonderful place to visit but staying at this hotel would want to make you leave sooner than later. If you enjoy site seeing definitely take the on-off bus, skip the paddle boat ride.

This place was 3 stars. The staff was extremely friendly and interacted with guests. The breakfast was enjoyable and the location was excellent. However, the rooms need to be a little updated. I recommend removing all carpet and just going with the tile. For health purposes, move the fridge out of the bathroom. Also, the rooms are very damp and need a dehumidifier as well as other parts of the hotel. At the end of the day, one receives what he/she pays for. Thanks for hosting us!

The location is really convenient but very noisy. Car noise and a night club right behind the hotel. The clientele are here to party. Rooms are packed with people with jugs of liquor. The concierge was very knowledgeable but the management wasn't able to switch rooms or compensation for the noise inconvenience. The room also had a smell and the decor is old dated.

Wanted to share Savannah with my daughter and grandson so picked Best Western as it is right at western start of the Historic district and close to the City market Overall not a problem but parking very tight if people do not park in places. I was pinned in on both sides with cars on adjoining lines so parked at slight angle to get out with rear of car over the line by 3 inches. Called me that I was taking up two spaces when the car that was there left so was able to readjust in space so I could get out No rollaway bed available so Grandson slept in chair. Came back one time do to heat and cleaning staff had not closed door all the way but fortunately nothing taken Room was fine otherwise and location perfect

I use a Best Western regularly in Pasadena, CA when visiting family in the area. While not a luxury experience, the chain provides a consistent acceptable experience. Their breakfasts are always very, very good (usually with hot and cold selections. I like a bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub and they all seem to have this. The bathrooms are usually more spacious than some of their competitors. The staff member are usually courtesy and competent. This Best Western was very much like the one I use in Pasadena. Both locations have swimming pools, which I like.

Absolute perfect stay. We stopped overnight while driving from NY to Florida. You can not beat the price for this hotel. The location is within walking distance in the historic district and one block from the riverfront. Staff friendly, even my Bruno got a bag of treats. Check in a breeze. The room clean and comfortable with a nice large modern bathroom. The breakfast was great! What a selection, from fresh eggs, bacon, sausage, breads, bagels, muffins, cereals, fruit, yogurt. My only regret is that we couldn't stay longer. Also parking was free for guests.

Hotel is older but clean and comfortable. Location is perfect for walking to restaurants and sights. Very good breakfast. We have stayed here before and will again in the future. There was a large group of young girls and their chaperones staying at the hotel while we were there. It wasnt overly noisy and with all of them at breakfast the staff kept everything well stocked.

Stayed for 5 nights for a convention across the river. Beds were comfortable with GREAT pillows. Room was clean. Breakfast was wonderful with hot eggs, grits, bacon, sausage, and a waffle maker, in addition to cereals, pastries, yogurt, fruit, etc. Miss Mel at breakfast was a joy.

We booked a family room but decided to book two rooms to be more comfortable. Even though we already had unpacked and used the room, the super friendly staff thought the family should not be separated and offered two adjoining rooms. Perfect customer service! The rooms are clean and comfortable. The hotel is conveniently located. The pool was appreciated by our sons. I would gladly recommend this hotel.

I had a problem with the Priceline website which caused the incorrect days for our stay extension. Fifi helped us with this problem and smoothed it over. Marie helped us with dinner reservations and spent time on the phone.

So overall our trip was great. We had 5 rooms, they accomodated our request for adjoining rooms and being on a higher floor. Marie at the front desk was so helpful and friendly. Pros: The location was perfect, right down the steps was River Street. The staff was helpful and friendly (especially Marie). The breakfast was perfect for the girls to grab a quick bite before we headed out in the morning. Cons: Our room wasn't ready at 4pm, more like 6pm and then it wasn't very clean. Used toiletries left in the shower, floor not cleaned from food, and trash not emptied in one of the trash cans. Parking was a pain if you returned after 6pm. The pool was tiny and it smelled awful at the pool area. We booked this hotel because it was in our Girl Scout budget, great location, offered free breakfast and had a pool the girls could play in. Three of those expectations were met.

From the moment we entered this BW I regretted not paying for a more upscale hotel. The receptionist was more interested in her phone call than serving her patrons. No information was given...how to log into the WiFi....that there was a lift....where the amenities were located.....breakfast time etc. Then when we complained the coffee machine was not working we were told it would be taken care of. A day later it still did not work. When we ask for a new one or a kettle we were told with some serious attitude that there were no replacements or a kettle. Also if you do not eat pork do not get the breakfast option as your choice will be very limited. On the upside the rooms were clean and the location great. Thanks to Dion and ShaQuierra for trying to help on our last day. My advice if you can afford a little more stay elsewhere.

Me and a couple friends visited Savannah for the weekend and decided to stay here as the reviews said great location which was a prime factor for us. They weren't wrong! We were a few steps away from the city markets which is a great place to go for food, drink, shopping and the night life is fantastic! The room was clean, rather small however it did the job as an overnight stay. There was the necessities like toiletries and a fridge; might I add in the bathroom which is an interesting place to put it. The AC was fantastic and worked really well in heating or cooling the room very quickly. Staff at the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. They were helpful with lots of information and were very professional. Overall a brilliant stay!

Location was perfect for our 5 night stay. However, they only left us 1 towel when they cleaned and even though we tend to use towels multiple days, the weather in the 90s required multiple showers each day and we needed replacement towels.

When we checked in the receptionist asked for a credit card for incidentals and parking. I was not asked if I wanted to park in their lot which was $22 per day. The next day we spotted several parking areas that was way less than $22 per day. The following day we were sitting in the lobby and a different receptionist told a lady about a lot that was across the street that again was not $22 per day. During check-in I asked the receptionist about a room facing the back of the hotel. She said there was not one available and then assigned us our room which was directly behind a tree. For breakfast at this hotel they had waffle irons, biscuits, eggs, bacon, etc... I asked for butter for my waffle and was told, "we don't have butter. "The ONLY good thing about this hotel is that it was in the historic district and within walking distance to almost anything you need. I really didn't need the "I don't care attitudes." Since the staff didn't care, I will definitely care enough to spend my money elsewhere.

The staff overall was amazing. This was a last minute stay on our road trip and the rate was really well price in the center of the city walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean and quiet. Options for site seeing were offered and all staff was friendly.

I agree with other reviewers that the staff is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Made for a nice welcome after a late-night arrival! The continental breakfast can't be beat. Lots of variety of hot and cold food. Location is excellent as well; we were able to walk a lot of places. However, we were disappointed by the general upkeep of our room. Most of the plumbing fixtures were loose, 2 out of the 3 washcloths were very thin and rag-like, the chairs were worn, and the A/C was leaking. (Although the water stayed outside.) We stayed for 2 nights, and our room had not been cleaned in between. My bed was also made incorrectly (blanket on the bottom, sheet on the top). Nothing egregious enough to call front desk over, but the sum of all parts made our stay a bit unappealing. Just some more attention to detail is all this hotel needs!

The reason for my stay was not a happy one but my stay was very nice. Mary the concierge was very friendly, knowledgeable and spent as much time as you needed getting your questions answered. Did not love the 22 per day parking but I guess that's part of it on an historic street with very little parking.

Spent 2 nights here visiting Savannah. Hotel staff were outstanding especially in the evening at the front desk. Hotel rooms were clean, updated and very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was great and a good variety. We didn't have a car so the location was very important. We were able to get around the city and sights without any trouble. Loved Savannah!

Absolutely exceeded my expectations. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Every encounter I had with the staff was met with a smile. Donacia was especially helpful with our stay. Very comfortable beds. Clean, re-modeled rooms 1 block off of the Riverfront.

Amazing location. Everything within walking distance. Did not drive anywhere for 3 days. Seen City Market and River street. Rooms where nice and the staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

This hotel was extremely clean. The AC in our room had a hard time getting cool enough for us. There was no AC in the elevator so it was extremely warm in there. There was construction going on nearby so earplugs were provided at the front desk.

This motel is pricey for what you get but less than a lot of them in same area. The location is perfect with an easy walk to City Market and the River District. It was clean and the beds were comfortable.

We were very pleased with this hotel. Everything was nice and clean. Our room was very comfortable and the bed was great. We also used the pool, which was small but refreshing. The staff is very helpful and the breakfast was really good. We would definitely stay here again.

When I arrived they said my name was incorrect on my reservation and I would need to come back later that night to sign the correction. When I got home checking my receipts, the correction was a $44 parking charge. The front dest help is a lier. Paying to park was no issue, the fact that she lied to me, horrible. Had nothing to do with my name. My sister asked the concierge where a good place to eat was. The concierge responded with we don't have those here. The room had a bad odor to it so my sister asked them to deal with that when we were out to dinner. They said they would but a device in the room, nothing was done. We killed about 10 flies that appeared to be coming out if the bath tub drain. Had a nice time in Savannah, this place, never again.

When we checked in, I thought there was candy in the jar on the desk, it was earplugs! I thought, ha that's strange. Needless to say, after a long day of travel, the noise ramped up. The motel was in the middle of party central. That's why ear plugs were on the desk. The room was just ok and the breakfast overcrowded and sub par.

Great location, river street is less than 5 minutes away! cute pool and fitness center, simple breakfast. The rooms were clean and pillows were awesome! The staff was also very helpful and pleasant. Will be back!

Was planning on giving a 5 star rating until the very last morning breakfast, which was very low stocked. Maybe there was a late start, but our prior breakfast was terrific! In all other aspects, we were very pleased! Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. Concierge was great! Gave us excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants. The hotel is in a great location with easy walkability to River St and much of the main points of interest in the Historic District. The room was clean, spacious enough and all amenities worked fine! (The mini fridge could have been colder - no way to set a cooler temp, but it was adequate. ). All in all,we had a very pleasant stay!

I visited Savannah on a business trip a couple of years ago and found it very interesting so I decided to come back for a visit and I'm glad I did. Enjoyed every minute of our stay. Historic Savannah is amazing

My family and I recently traveled to one of our favorite cities, Savannah, Ga. My wife is an Elite member of the Best Western rewards program and had TONS of points. We decided to use some of those points since she no longer travels for work and picked this hotel based on it's location and reviews. We normally stay at a different hotel and have pretty much stayed at all of the hotels along Bay street. This hotel is located on Bay street and is right on the edge of the historic district. River street is literally "right down the stairs" but, you are all the way at the end of River Street. Not a big deal for most people but, if walking is not really your thing, you may want to consider a more centrally located hotel. First, let me say that it is a 4.5 hour drive for us to get to Savannah. When we got to the hotel it was a little after 9pm. We were not greeted by the front desk clerk and she honestly seemed rather annoyed that we were checking in. While going over the room charges, she asked us if we were aware that there was a $22/night parking fee. My wife answered her but, apparently the clerk did not hear her response. She then looked at my wife and, I'm not kidding, said (in a rather loud voice), "Are you listening to me?!?" My wife told her that she was listening and she was aware of the parking fee. Next, she asked if we wanted points or snacks. My wife told her snacks and then asked what they were. The clerk then said it was too late to change our mind because she had entered the snacks into the computer and couldn't change it. We were at the hotel for 2 nights and never saw a single snack. Our rooms were decent but slightly dated. Honestly, I thought it was kind of funky and retro looking. The bathroom was a large open area with the shower, toilet, vanity, and mini-fridge are all in the same room. God forbid that someone needed to use the restroom while someone else was getting ready. Where the rooms really shine are the beds. VERY comfortable and there were plenty of pillows for everyone. Other than that, its a pretty standard hotel room. There were a total of 4 USB ports in the room for charging devices which I thought was pretty good. Breakfast is also pretty standard fare (muffins, yogurt, coffee, fruit, powdered eggs, gravy, biscuits, bacon, and cereal). There were toppings out for oatmeal but, other than instant oatmeal, we never found the oatmeal. The staff never once said good morning and acted like they didn't want to engage with the guest. Not a single "good morning" or "how are you doing." Housekeeping did a good job of tidying up the room but, I'm not sure they actually cleaned. They did not replace any of the towels in the room either. Once it was used, if it was on the floor, it was not replaced. There was one staff member (who was part of housekeeping) that made a point to say hello to everyone that he encountered and engage in some conversation but, he was definitely the exception and I truly wish I had gotten his name. If all of the other staff were as friendly as him, this would be a 5 star hotel just on customer interaction alone. While we were there there was no air conditioning in the lobby. I'm guessing it was broken because it was very warm in the lobby/eating area and all of the doors were open. This made it a bit uncomfortable during breakfast because Savannah tends to get humid in the Summer months. This also may have simply been a tactic to minimize the amount of time that guest spent in the lobby. The final thing I would like to address is the $22/night parking fee. This hotel does not have a parking deck or valet service. You park your car yourself in one of two lots at the front of the hotel or along the street behind the hotel. There are probably not enough spaces for all of the guest either as I did observe a couple of cars having to make their own spots. I understand that this is another source of money for the hotel and, unfortunately, it has become pretty standard to charge for parking but, I think that $22/night is pretty steep when you are parking the car yourself. If you are coming to Savannah and are considering the Best Western, just know what you are getting. A good nights sleep and a spot on the edge of River street are about it. If you have other options, I would probably go with one of them unless you are into rude staff and high parking fees.

This property is located near enough to the riverfront to walk to all attractions. Parking was located near the room and the room was near the lobby. The hotel appearance was inviting and the rooms were clean. We enjoyed relaxing in the pool after a long day of site-seeing.

Chose the Best Western for its excellent location, close to the river and the (overrated) markets area, parking and reasonable price. The rooms are comfortable with all the usual amenities and breakfast is fine with plenty of choice. The staff were all very helpful, especially the concierge who booked us tour tickets and recommended a number of good bars and restaurants. Unfortunately we had a problem with the lock on our room door which failed meaning we were unable to get into our room when we came back from an evening out. The staff tried to fix it and even called the maintenance manager in from home in South Carolina! to no avail. After 2 hours we were given another room and moved back into our original room an hour or so later. However, on returning from breakfast, the door lock failed again! The staff then removed the lock entirely so we could gather what we needed for the day. Thankfully it was fixed by the time we returned from our day out. The hotel and the booking company, Expedia, were extremely apologetic and within a couple of days had given us a full refund. Despite our door adventures, we'd book the Best Western again and would recommend it.

We have stayed at almost every hotel in Savannah over the years and decided to give the Best Western a try. We arrived at 9:00pm after driving 5 hours. We were not greeted at all when we walked in the door and actually felt like we were bothering the front office check-in person. She was incredibly rude and unwelcoming. We have stayed at many hotels for business and personal travel and this was the worst experience we've ever had at check-in. We parked the car in their parking lot in front of the hotel. They do not have valet parking nor a parking deck but still charge $22 a night for parking. We have paid $30 at other Savannah hotels for parking but our car was in a parking deck and a valet brought us our car. I can definitely understand that parking charge but not this one. Our room was very clean. The room decorations are dated but nice. We were thoroughly surprised by how comfortable the beds were. The mattresses are amazing! If we return to the Best Western, it will be because we had two nights of wonderful sleep! The mattresses are the reason for the three stars that I gave this hotel. The breakfast in the morning was typical hotel breakfast. Another disappointment here with the staff. The breakfast staff were unfriendly and unapproachable. They didn't smile and didn't speak to anyone. I truly felt that I was in their way. With all the other hotels in town, I doubt that we will ever return to the Best Western. The room was clean and the bed was comfy but the choices are endless in Savannah. There are so many better places.

Attempted to check in at 3:15 pm when check in should have been 3 pm was told they would have to call us in 45 minutes because the rooms weren't ready. An hour later still didn't get a call when we checked back after an hour. The pool claims its heated, it is not Breakfast is nice & lots of choices BUT watch out for the double warmers when you open the bottom warmer your hand hits the top. I got a burn that blistered on my hand from it. When I told the front desk they seemed annoyed by me.

They warned us about noise, and offered ear plugs, as the hotel was along a busy road but I didn't have any issues. Parking was an additional cost but we knew about that in advance as well and seemed worth it for me. Hot breakfast was good as well. The staff was friendly and helpful.

I was in town for a Convention. Prices were $240 for a $80 room. I get it, raise prices due to a events, but at least try to keep up the property. The room was in bad need of a thorough cleaning. Smelled of urine. Woke up to a drunk man passed out in front of my door. It took 45 minutes and two calls to get security to come. Breakfast was not good, out of everything, including coffee creamer, only bread, and toasters barely worked. I will steer clear of here in the future.

Location and price was GREAT! Needs some updates like new mattresses. Rooms are small but adequate. Nice location we were able to walk to everything. Local restaurants were amazing and all the parks were truly beautiful!

I stayed here on a girls weekend and the location was great. This hotel is located a few steps from the beginning of River street which was very convenient. Lots of restaurants nearby and we always felt safe. The staff at the hotel was superb, very friendly and helped us book tours, including the hop on hop off bus. The breakfast was great: eggs, Belgian waffles, fruits etc. The coffee machine stayed on 24/7 which was awesome. Room was adequate and clean. The water pressure in the shower could be stronger. The rooms face toward the street so a couple nights we definitely heard loud people outside. They provide ear plugs at the front desk. Plan on spending $22 a night to park if you have a car. There's a new hotel right behind this one and they have a great rooftop bar. We loved that we could enjoy that a few steps from where we were staying. Overall I'd recommend this hotel.

This is a nice motel-style hotel with comfortable beds (we had a 2-full bed room) on the 3rd floor. All rooms open to the outside hallway, with keycard entry. Room is spacious with below-counter refrigerator, window A/C unit (adjustable temp level), high-speed wi fi (very dependable at 200 mbps), flat-screen TV (Direct TV selections), 2 4-outlet AC plugs on desk and night table. Breakfast was very good with hot food, Belgian waffles, fresh fruits, dairy products, and baked items. The only con is the relatively high weekend room rate of $224 (vs half that rate on weekdays).

I feel more effort can be done to get guests taken care of sooner when they arrive early (this happened to us due to our train that got us to Savannah too early) 6:30 am! We were told we could not get a room until 4:30. We realized we would have a wait, however, we feel, more could have been done. Finally, we were taken care of by 1:00 p.m. by Victoria and we were very grateful to her.

1st time in Savannah, very fun city. Had a great time. Hotel very clean, staff great! Pool very nice. Room lighting is a little poor, hard to do any reading. Old building, furniture could use a little updating. But overall still nice.

The rooms were fairly nice, currently updated. Quite noisy due to the downtown location, but they provide a white noise machine in the rooms. The parking areas, however, are not secure. Our vehicle was vandalized that could have resulted in catastrophic damage and/or physical injury. The front desk manager didn't seem interested and confirmed that there are no cameras in the $22 parking lots. The staff were friendly and the room was clean. I would not go back, though, based on the potential safety issues. The cost was inline with other properties nearby, but because of the weekend we visited, were hikes more than double. Typical practice, though.

Great location right in the historic district. Close to the river, the market place and great restaurants. The concierge was very helpful in planning the hop on hop off tour. She pointed out that we should take the whole route to get a feel of where we were and what we wanted to do. Our room was very nice. Needed a few repairs, but nothing that we couldn't overlook. Breakfast was nice with an outside seating area. We had some noisy neighbors, but they settled down at a decent hour. The location was the best thing about this hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel once before and enjoyed the great location. This weekend was very busy and hard to find parking at the hotel onsite parking and one of the employees moved their vehicle just so we could park ours. Very excellent staff! Will always stay here during our visits!

We were excited to find the hotel because it was in a great location. It did not take long to find out the real truth. Though cleaned daily the rooms were not well kept. The baseboards and doorsills were very dirty. There was not adequate parking and we had to either go to overflow or offsite parking. And, we paid dearly for parking. Never again!!

This hotel has a great location for walking to most activities in Savannah. Public transportation is close and easily accessible when needed. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have encountered. It is noisy at times but they have gone out of their way to mediate the problem as much as possible

Staff was friendly. The location was excellent! We could walk to everything. There was a concierge to help navigate our days. Room had a mini fridge which was great to have. It was a little noisy because it was a busy road in front, but overall a good stay.

We stayed here for a 3 day weekend. Savannah is a great place to stay at for a few days. This hotel is apparently the oldest hotel in the historical district and it shows. Its best feature is its location, walking distance to River St and City Market with bunch of cool bars and restaurants. The rooms were OK, staff was cordial but for the price you can probably find a better deal elsewhere. The parking lot is small and costs $22/night. The breakfast is included and serves its purpose. We did not stay long enough to use the pool or fitness center so I can't review it. If you're looking for a decent hotel with a great location this is a great option.

Convenient location in the historic district. In walking distance of Market Square and River Street. They have a good continental breakfast. There is a concierge on site. The staff is kind, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. The facility is clean. There is a pool. Great place for traveling families and older people. Rates are reasonable. We have stayed here many times, and will return.

Good, central location to pretty much anything you'd want to see in downtown Savannah. Note that because it is in the historic district, there is a lot of street noise that some people are used to. The hotel provides a white noise machine which is brilliant! I wish I had had one at the other hotels we stayed at during our trip.

Picked this hotel based on location and on site parking. They are on the edge of the Historic District but in a noisy local and the hotel is not well insulated for noise. The second night we arrived back about 10 PM and parked in the hotel lot as we had paid $22 per night to park there and had a parking permit on the dash. We were approached by the night clerk, Marsha and told we could not park there. When we pointed out that we had the proper permit she told us that we could go down the street and pay to park in the parking garage or she would have us towed away. Perhaps most aggravating was noticing that Marsha parked her car all night in the 10 minute parking spot.

We stopped here on our way down to Bike week. It was easy on and off the highway but our favorite part was how convenient it was to walk everywhere- the river walk and city market, and through the whole historic District and lots of fountains gardens and restaurants. Hotel was clean and comfortable for 1 night, most people at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. Both concierge were awesome. Glad to have easy parking too (tho$22/night we didnt know of when booking) Only downfalls- Breakfast was cold and bleh and overheard a few unpleasant conversations between the maids.

Hotel room was very clean and comfortable .Staff was extremely friendly and helpful .This was an extremely busy weekend yet everyone remained pleasant cheerful and helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone thinking of visiting Savannah .Because it's in the downtown historic district clise to the river there are added on fees and taxes as any city includes .Also the current charge for parking your vehicle is $22 per day. It's a small parking lot and you may have to park the car across the street. It's a short walk. But remember you are in the heart of the city. Definitely will be back.

We had a terrific stay during our vacation to Savannah Historic District. This hotel is within walking distance to the Market District, Historic Downtown, and River Street. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. She gave terrific recommendations for restaurants and local attractions. The rooms were clean. I would definitely recommend this hotel. It was an excellent option for a great price in the Historic District.

It's a typical BW, but it's ideally located at the edge of the Historic District. It's on a busy street, so there are occasional street noises during the night. They do supply a “white noise” machine and ear plugs! Best part is you're steps from the interesting River Walk and a few blocks from shopping and the lovely town squares.

My husband and I stayed a couple days at Best Western Historic District Savannah GA. We had an amazing time! The hotel was clean, breakfast was wonderful, and we wete able to walk everywhere. Check from Lonnie and FeFe checking us in to the Concierge Mary giving us great tips and helpful maps. Would definitely stay here again if we get down that way again!

The location is excellent, it is on Bay St pretty close to good attractions in the historic district. The hotel is within walking distance from a lot of places. The room was very clean and well equipped. The staff was very friendly and the complimentary breakfast was good. The value for the money is very good. Although the parking is a bit pricey, you can park for much less on a public parking building that is just a block away.

We loved staying here. The beds were comfortable.It was close to everything within walking distance. The breakfast was awesome. Everything was fresh and delicious. We would definetly stay here again. Hopefully next year we will be back.

The best parts of the hotel are its location in the Historic District and the fact that it is pet friendly! Can walk to a lot of places to eat and drink, but, unless you like to walk a few miles... you'll be best served by taking one of the trollys around the Historic District. Concierge at the Hotel is quite odd and can be somewhat abrasive and condescending... although, once you get by that... she will prove to know her stuff! Rooms and decor are so...so... but, to me, that's not a key issue.

This is an older hotel but the room was very clean and all things worked well. Staff was very helpful and provided great selection s of were to find great food. When we entered town was concerned with parking since we had bikes and kayaks, but wished we would have tried to check in early since we could have parked there. Breakfast was also better than the average BW ones. Would stay here again if in town. Nice staff.

We decided to take a side trip to Savannah on our way to Sarasota from Kingston, Ontario. We usually stay in Choice hotels or the equivalent on travels like this, but found a good deal on Expedia for this hotel. The hotel is conveniently located and not difficult to get to coming in from South Carolina. The rooms were adequately sized and well furnished. A nice touch was a white noise generator and free ear plugs. Presumably this is a response to complaints about noise (see earlier reviews). We were lucky and didn't hear any noise from neighbours, but a tug boat went by at night and its horn sounded like the train whistles that had kept us awake the night before. Aside form the location, the highlight of our stay was the breakfast, which featured a wide selection and delicious scrambled eggs. There were two downsides. There is someone in the lobby called a concierge, but her main role seems to be selling tickets for the tour bus. When we asked her for advice on how best to spend the short time we had in the historic district she was totally unhelpful and close to rude. The other downside is that the hotel charges $22.00 for parking. We were lucky that our booking was pre-paid and parking was not charged - but I think that was an exception. If we had been required to pay for parking, the hotel wouldn't have seemed to be such a bargain and we might have been better off staying outside of downtown.

the breakfast was yummy.....the carpet was moist...the shower SUCKS. All the staff was nice. They give you free ear plugs...lol...I'm trying to be nice but this review wants me to type 200 words. and that is going to make me say not nice things.

We use best western every time we drive down the East Coast and for that matter anywhere they have clean rooms great people that check you win you have your breakfast in the morning and you can get on your way and you had a nice day we love it

We staid just after thanksgiving so it was a busy period. Our room was quite old fashioned and could certainly use a makeover, in addition we were opposite an entrance to the reception and next to the staircase making it a rather noisy room, we good not miss the drunk people going up at 3:00am. Location is handy, you can just walk everywhere. The staff was also kind and helpful, it was great we could ask the concierge lady about activities as we had not come very well prepared. OK breakfast too, nothing fancy but decent.

The "non-pet rooms" have an overpowering smell of shampooed dog. It was so bad it woke my daughter up in the night. This was after they switched our room, which made no difference. Parking? There was none. They were redoing the blacktop so we had to walk to offsite pay parking. In the dark. With two kids and a bad knee. Way overpriced for this level, plenty of nice hotels in the area that look better and have parking available even if for an extra fee. The only saving grace is that the staff is above and beyond wonderful, and the same for the breakfast. Homemade cheesy grits, great coffee not Folgers, no microwave meal here.

We enjoyed our one night stay at this hotel while pressing on to warmer weather. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Husband thought the bed was particularly comfortable. Management was professional and friendly. Breakfast was very well appointed.

Everyone I spoke said we had to stay in Savannah on our way down to Florida, and the BW historical district was right in our budget. The front desk staff were really helpful in correcting a error with our reservation (error on our end) and the concierge was more than helpful with pointing us in the right direction of some child friendly restaurants and sights to see. In my opinion you get more than what you end up paying for; location, service and overall quality of the room. From what I've seen from the other hotels around here, it isn't a fancy boutique hotel, but for what you pay for, I felt I got our money's worth! Thanks again to Lonnie for helping us at check in, I was concerned with the error we made, but she was more than accommodating and put me at ease right away! You're a champ!

I was in this hotel few days ago on MLK Day. It is a nice hotel. The front desk was very friendly and welcoming. It was my first experience in a Best Western Hotel. Parking fees was too much maybe because of its location. Hotel didn't have much to offer in terms of amenities but the free breakfast was great. Nice location.

On way home from Florida vacation and took some time to visit Savanna's antique district this was a great location!! Restaurant close by within walking distance, safe area excellent shopping and right by the river!

Great location for visiting the Historic District. Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food. There was noise from passing traffic and people shouting outside on the Saturday night. Would suggest requesting a room at the back of the complex which might cut down on the noise.

We decided last minute to go to Savannah. We were able to find a room at the Best Western Historic District. We usually stay with a different hotel company. But for the location and price we decided to stay here. It was a great decision! Everyone was so nice and helpful! We were given an upgrade on our room free of charge. The breakfast the next morning was an added plus. The room was clean and very comfortable. The pillows were heavenly. The location is great for the river area. Very close to shops, restaurants and bars. No complaints! On location parking, easy access to the hotel.

We stayed 1 night to take our daughter back to school. The room wasn't bad, just average, the breakfast was average. I don't feel like we should have had to pay for parking and the night stay. The beds could have been bigger. Otherwise not bad for 1 night.

We had a good experience with other branches of Best Western hotels. This one in Savanah historic site wasn't good at all. The room was smelly, showers was less flowof water, the area of sinck had a lot of build up. Heater was noisy at night. Breakfast was so so.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the staff are very friendly and helpful and you can walk to all attractions, restaurants and shops. Even the breakfast was great with lots of options for all dietary needs.

The room was clean and spacious and every single employee I encountered was super friendly. The breakfast is just average food, but there are TONS of options from eggs, bacon, oatmeal, waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, bagels, the list goes on and on. The location is absolutely perfect if you want to be within walking distance to most of the attractions. As a solo female traveler, I also felt safe at the location. I see some reviews mention noise, so to address that there was some noise (you're in the city, of COURSE there's noise) but it wasn't too loud or constant and did not keep me from getting a great night's sleep at all. I would definitely stay here again.

I rarely leave bad reviews, but if this saves someone else from staying here, it's worth it. Right when we walked in our room, room 229, there was an awful smell. It's hard to even describe what it was. I think it may have come from the carpet. When we went into the bathroom, there were no towels for a shower, and my girls had to go to the front desk to get some. My husband and girls went on a ghost tour that evening, and I stayed in the room to work on the computer. Well, the WiFi wasn't working. I decided to watch some television and the cable kept going in and out. During the middle of the night, a man was knocking on every door and yelling, “Yo!” My daughter called the front desk, and they already notified the police. Keep in mind that the entrances to each room are outside, so anyone can walk off the street and access the hotel rooms. The shower had very little water pressure, and the water was warm at best. I will say that the ladies at the front desk were very kind and the breakfast was good. The location is also ideal for shopping.

After a five day road trip, traveling over 4 states, to figure out our next move this was a great spot to finish up our trip. We got a reservation through booking.com for a great value. Its located within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants on the river in one direction and right around the corner from Market City as well. Breakfast was good. Hospitality from the front desk and the staff helping out with breakfast were over the top. We got into town 3 hours before our check in and they already had a room ready for us and let us check in to start our day in savannah that much earlier. Great experience and we'll definitely plan to stay there again on our next visit. Thank you so much BW Team!

The hotel is lovely, clean and fresh. Great location, just a block away from City Market and River Walk. Breakfast is great, lots of options (even gluten free availability). The staff is super helpful with suggestions and the concierge is a useful perk. We've stayed at this location twice in the last 5 years and it's been great both time. We will stay here again.

Stayed here for a weekend. There was some pink highligher looking stain on the pillow case and side of the sheets. Also found a drop of blood on the provided blanket. They charged us 196$ per night and 22$ for parking per day. Absolute trash. But... the staff was friendly!

We stayed here for x 2 nights while on a recent road tour. Car parking went well and the staff on reception were very friendly. Our room on the bottom floor was clean and comfortable. If you are unlucky enough to get noisy neighbours however it can be detrimental to a good noise sleep, especially if they have a dog that barks incessantly. Hotel location for central Savannah is excellent, as is the morning breakfast , the best on our trip.

My mom and I stayed at the Best Western in the Historic District of Savannah Georgia for a week and had the most memorable experience. The front counter staff was SO friendly, the breakfast options were INCREDIBLE (my mom made her own waffle almost every morning and was so impressed! We had never seen anything like that before), our room location was perfect and to boot... you are one block away from City Market and sooo many great restaurants & shopping. (Plus there is a beer store right on the corner outside the entrance to the hotel... Excellent!) Great price, amazing staff and perfect stay while you are running around in Savannah!

Nice place to stay and not a bad price, centrally located. The place was clean and staff were helpful. There was parking for your car but at a charge. Breakfast was included which was nice. Was unable to use fitness center due to time there but glad there is one. Overall experience was a favorable one.

This hotel is advertised pet friendly, but if you have a pet you will NOT be treated friendly. When I arrived the desk clerks were chatting and got upset that I interrupted their conversation. The woman who waited on me was rude and gave me attitude from the beginning which got worse after I told her I had a dog. She then told me the printer was down and she would bring the receipt to my room which she never did. She gave me keys that didn't work and I had to ask her twice to fix the keys since she didn't believe me. We were placed in the room directly behind the lobby so it was very noisy with high traffic which is not ideal when you have a dog. The parking was very expensive and the breakfast was awful. The room had furniture piled up in the restroom so I had to move it before I could use the bathroom after driving 6 hours. I will never stay at a Best Western again. The morning staff and housekeeping were friendly which is why I gave this place 2 stars. Do not stay here. There are lots of hotels in this area and this place is a run down dump.

Great location, great price, solid rooms, but terrible breakfast. Still worth the price even if you assume you will not be eating the food. Should I be back in Savannah I will look here first, but will surely be avoiding the food next time around. Overall good stay, though.

The Best Western in downtown Savannah, He was convenient to get to, clean comfortable and affordable. It was easy walking distance to many shops, attractions and restaurants. The breakfast area was clean and we'll stocked. The staff was helpful with information about Savannah.

We stayed here during the Rock-and-Roll Marathon weekend. The location was perfect for the start of the race. To the rear of the hotel are steps leading right down to the waterfront and River Street. This location is perfect. The price was so reasonable that I believe I spent more on Uber fees/rides to places and back and forth from the airport than I did my hotel! Although the hotel could use a facelift and some better amenities like a larger gym overall it was a good deal and location. The staff was always willing to help and fulfill any reasonable request. They were exceptional and friendly. The breakfast was better than many other places and included in the room price. The only downside not just for this hotel but any near River and Bay Streets would be the noise level, it can be loud. Overall, I would stay here again.

The room was excellent and the hotel is in the perfect location for the attractions we like to visit. Close to the waterfront, bars and restaurants. No question we will be staying at this hotel during our next visit to Savannah.

This has to be one of the best values in the Savannah Historic District. This property has clean, updated rooms and public areas along with a friendly, helpful staff, and serve a full breakfast with plenty of seating. This hotel is walking distance to River St and the downtown Historic District. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking fir a nice hotel at a great value and will stay here again.

Even though the hotel is older and in need of some sprucing up, it is still worth your consideration when coming to Savannah. Our room was sort of musty smelling but the bed was comfortable and the room itself adequate. We spent 4 days exploring the historic district and were able to walk everywhere from here. The concierge is wonderful and gave us advice on tours and directions to places within driving distance. The breakfast is ok but nothing to write home about. Everyone there was welcoming and helpful. Parking is $22 a day, inexpensive compared to other hotels in the area. I was taken aback that earplugs were offered at check in but learned that there is a large construction site behind the hotel which begins work early. Our room was on the front side of the hotel and the noise was not a problem. The rooms also have sound machines.

We stayed for just one night, the room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was Ok (home fries were cold and under cooked). I was surprised to see earplugs available at the front desk and a white noise machine in the room, but neither was needed - I did not really hear any excessive noise at all night. Staff were welcoming and efficient. Despite the parking charge it was still the best deal in downtown - would stay there again.

Nice clean hotel within walking distance of great riverfront restaurants and shops and walking distance to the Market Place that has lots of restaurants, bars, shops and art galleries. Take the on and off Trolley tour. You can book it thru the hotel and get on and off as you want. It's very informative and fun.

Awesome place to stay if you want to park the car and walk. Parking does cost $22 day but worth it. The breakfast is a normal continental. Staff was great and the concierge was excellent in getting us tickets to events. Would stay there again for sure.

Stayed for 2 nights.. bed was comfy. The room had a musty smell and it was noisy...but again you're in the city. There was a white noise machine in the room... but it did not work. I don't think I would stay there again. Although everyone was very nice.

The hotel was very well situated -- just a few minutes' walk from the river and City Market. Lonnie and Mary went out of their way to answer our questions, arrange for a bus tour of Savannah (including a shuttle pick-up at the hotel), and make us feel like truly welcome guests.

Had a great stay here. It was within walking distance of City Market and many other amenities and sights. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Slept great! Full breakfast in the morning was also very good. Would definitely stay here again.

We had 18 ladies in our group. Maggie in group sales was very helpful in reserving our rooms and the hotel staff was great. We came into Savannah by train and the staff helped to make the arrangements for transport back to the train station. The hotel was clean and comfortable. It was just a few blocks to trolley stops, River Street and to City Market. I would highly recommend this hotel.

We just stayed here six nights and the people, location, prices and breakfast were well worth it. I would be back in a heartbeat. The rooms were clean as well as the pool and and all over hotel. Plenty of parking but you never need your car. Take the tours, walk, uber or lyft because Georgia has a zero tolerance for drinking and driving even one beer. It's great with the open container law in the historic district so go out and have fun. Thanks Best western for the great experience.

We stopped for a quick visit on our way to Disney. The hotel staff was super friendly and the room was clean and had everything we needed. It was a short walk to downtown. In addition the continental breakfast was delicious.

We are evacuees from hurricane Florence and had planned a three night stay here. We found ourselves arriving much earlier than expected (8:00 a.m.) and Marcia Prince went out of her way to get us into a room early. I can't say enough about the staff - Marcia, of course, but also Nautica at the front desk, Mary, the concierge and the staff that cleans our room - they have gone out of their way to help in any way they could. The ladies who run the breakfast restaurant are beyond friendly and helpful and the breakfast selection is really good. Our room doesn't have much of a view but, considering how early we got in, we are so very happy with the accommodations. We have been able to walk everywhere we want due to the convenient location!! We are close to the City Market and have enjoyed the walk there as well as down to River Street. We initially picked this hotel because they accept dogs and had rooms for the duration of the storm, but I would definitely come back!

Besides being a decent hotel with affordable prices in a good location, I was particularly impressed with the customer service we received from Devondia. She was helpful and cheerful, which started our stay in a very positive way.

Booked this place because of proximity to Central Market Historic District, which accounts for the 3 rating instead of a 2. We saw everything we wanted to see without having to drive but that is an option if you want to expand your reach. Scads of restaurants and bars with plenty of variety albeit some are pricey. I've reviewed some separately. The motel was semi updated at one point but is falling into disrepair. The furnishings didn't match and the chair seats were collapsing. The fridge was very small with no freezer and there wasn't a microwave. Disappointing for a Best Western property. Nice TV but channel selection was poor. The breakfast was typical motel fare however, the eggs and meat trays were not adequate so you had to dig for a warm serving. I'm finding this more and more with BW properties. Corporate needs to address these issues. There was a $22 per day parking fee for on site, but that wasn't the end of the extra charges some of which were not disclosed afore hand. I understand they haven't got control over city add-ons but make it clear up front please. I'd try someplace else if I ever go back. $350 for two days is a bit much for what you get.

Not bad to be one street away from river street One block from the Market Square. The beds were very comfy The staff was very accommodating. Always with a smile. The free breakfast had plenty to chose from , not just waffles. you do have to pay to park. $16 across the street $22 on the side of the hotel. Even though we were on the street side, we didn't hear any noise

Perhaps do not put your guests in hotel rooms where they go to sleep and wake up at 1:30 in the morning to LOUD, CRAZY SCREAMING in the streets. The noise and crowds woke my son and I out of our deep sleep in room 121. It also woke my father up in room 119. I had hoped that he might sleep through it since he is 76 and has a significant hearing loss. Unfortunately the noise was so loud that he was awoken too. I have never seen anything like it. Upon being woken up and startled, I looked out my hotel room window and saw 300-400 people walking LOUDLY down the street from 1:30-2:30 AM. Everyone was walking in groups of 3-6 people, talking, yelling, singing. There was no respect for anyone who would have been asleep prior. While your hotel is not responsible for all of those people waking up your guests, you should have never put us in hotel rooms facing that side of the street, on street level, knowing that this would happen. It was very disruptive. In the morning my father asked about it at the front desk. The response he was given was that it was a bar or night club letting out.For the money I spent on both rooms, I expect more. I am extremely disappointed in my stay at The Best Western. I will absolutely never, ever stay at another one again. I have been busy travelling in the past week, but I plan on posting my experience on as many travel sites as possible because I do not want anyone to experience what we did. It is absolutely not ok to spend money on a hotel room to be awoken in the middle of the night (for hours since I could not fall back asleep). I was nervous as to what was going on - because after all, I had been asleep and woken up to all the loud noise. I wasn't sure why so many people were passing by my room. Eventually I could sort of make out flashing blue lights out of the corner of my window, maybe around 2:20 AM, so at least I knew that police were nearby. Still, had I known that this would be what my night was like, I NEVER would have stayed here. It was a complete waste of my money. I wish I stayed at either of the two hotels across the street. At least that way I would have actually gotten the sleep I was paying for.If I could rate this -10, I would! Find somewhere else to stay.

Aside from its good location, the rooms are beautiful. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is good, too! We stayed for five days in this hotel and we never encountered a problem. Walking distance from great place across downtown of Savannah.

Laptop stolen from our room! In all our numerous travels across the United States and overseas we have never had an issue with anything being stolen from our room. Someone on the staff stole a business laptop out of a backpack in the corner of our room during our week long stay. So incredibly disappointing that a staff member would steal from guest, but I guess that is the sad reality of the world. The property is also in close proximity to a busy road and therefore quite noisy. Some of the staff is friendly and others ignore you. The location is close enough to city market but this fact does not override all of the other issues. After this experience we will never stay in another best western property again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable and there was a mirror outside the bathroom to make getting ready easier. The location was perfect as the Riverwalk was nearby with great shopping and restaurants. Also near a trolley stop and within easy walking distance of other sites. Breakfast was excellent but seating was hard to come by.

An affordable and easy way to spend a few days in Historic District Savannah. A wonderful experience in every way. Easy parking, very good breakfast and very good fitness center. Walking distance to all parts of the Historic District, but particular close to City Market and Telfair Museum. Efficient and very helpful staff.

It remains a special stay in this hotel. It just looks as a reasonable price for this city. It is only very unfortunate if they write off the price twice from the Amex and then do not explain it and / or return it. Suddenly it has become an expensive stay. And for that money I would not stay in this hotel. In short: hardly pooltowels, room was not really clean, the air conditioning makes a lot of noise and there are construction work (apparently since a year) at the back of the hotel. These start before 7 o'clock in the morning and believe me these are above the sounds of the air conditioning. And if you say something about it, you get ear plugs and shrug their shoulders. And after all this you hear JUST NOTHING from the BW team, .. outrageous!

If it weren't for the maid service, I'd say everything about his hotel was great: the location, price, breakfast, finess room and pool (both small but adequate), front desk and concierge service... The only thing that was subpar compared with my previous Best Western experiences was the maid service. Once, the maid came in and made the beds but nothing else, so I had to run down to the lobby to get new shampoo, towels, etc. Another time, the maid skipped our room entirely. The staff working at the front desk appologized profusely because from what I gather, I wasn't the first one to report this problem, which I hope they can fix quickly because as I said, we enjoyed everything else about this hotel and would have given it a higher rating otherwise.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay there. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and kept us with fresh towels and linens,during our stay. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying there! I know we will be again!

My wife and our two sons just spent last night (August 10th) in this hotel. Within walking distance of downtown Savannah and historic River Street, the location is great for exploring on foot. Our check-in was fast and efficient - Lonnie at the front desk was friendly and welcoming. The room (room 130) was extremely clean and comfortable. The beds were perfect for a good night's sleep. The pool and adjacent area was clean and well maintained. Breakfast was great for a travelling family with hot entrees as well as fruit and cereals. The only reason that this rating was a 4 star instead of a 5 star was that the air conditioner in the room was not working properly and did not cool the room. We contacted the front desk early in the evening but were told that there were no maintenance people on duty to repair it, nor were there other rooms available. Understandable, but not great in the hot, humid August weather. When we checked out this morning, we were told that they were aware of our concern from last night, but no offer was made to partially compensate us for the inconvenience.

We loved this hotel. We were a short walk to River street and everything on Bay Street. Also walkable to city market. We used the pool twice and had it all to ourselves. On site parking was such a plus! Staff were all so friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and will be back!

We stayed for one night on a cross country trip to Florida. It was adequate for 1 night for our party, they are dog friendly which was good. The location is very convenient to river street which was great. The pool is so small it was difficult to enjoy with kids jumping around. There were no pool towels so I went to the front desk to inform them and to get some. I waited about 10 minutes, then they just handed me regular towels and said take them back to your room. We were at the pool for about 20 minutes after that and no pool towels were brought. We were in the back of the building, facing the construction. We could not hear any noise from it, luckily but they did have ear plugs at the front desk for light sleepers. Although we didnt hear the noise, there was garbage and construction debris everywhere. it was very unsafe for our dog. The parking is also tricky. They charge for self parking (which I did not like) then the lot is across the street. It took us 15 minutes to find said lot bc the small "Best Western parking" sign had fallen on the ground. Someone should check this parking lot more often. Staff was friendly at check-in and informative about the local area.

Great location so you can walk to downtown restaurants and bars. Parking on site. Room was an adequate size and clean enough. Thin walls and lots of traffic walking by your door. Check in was friendly. The bed was comfortable and there was coffee available in the room. There was a confusion about our room charge but it was handled. If you are on a budget this hotel will work well.

This BW is in a great location. Nice property, friendly staff. We will visit Savannah again and will make this our go-to motel. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was very good, the pool was clean and again, the location was great. Good value.

The location was perfect, the room was ok when we arrived. We stayed two nights and one night we used the reward points we earned. We had to pay 20 dollars to park the car because the bonus only included the room, it was okay, the person who received was nice. The next day after a long sightseeing day in a wonderful city, the room was not cleaned, towels were not changed. We had to pick up new towels in the reception. We showered and went out to go for a evening cruise with a riverboat and when we got home it was still not tidy and the beds ere not made in the room though we asked for it before we left. The last day when we checked out, the receptionist sat down with her head on the counter, we woke her up, then she coughed up a couple of times and took a plastic bottle and spit her spit in it - it was already half full of mucus - Really nasty. We had really had wonderful days in the city of Savannah but got a nasty ending in memory of the hotel. Not ok at all. // Läget var perfekt, rummet var ok när vi kom. Vi skulle stanna två dagar och en natt använde vi oss av poäng vi tjänat in. Vi fick betala 20 dollar för att parkera bilen eftersom bonusen inkluderade enbart rummet, det var väl ok, personen som tog emot var trevlig. Sista dagen när vi skulle checka ut satt receptionisten och sov med huvudet på disken, vi fick väcka henne, då hostade hon några gånger och tog upp en plastflaska och spottade ut sitt spott i den - den var redan halvfull med spott - Riktigt otäckt. Vi hade verkligen haft underbara dagar i staden Savannah men fick ett otäckt avslut till minne av hotellet. Inte ok alls.

For an economy hotel it was good. However, I think our next trip we will "step it up" to one of the other hotels across the street. This was our second trip to Savannah, so we are still checking things out. We stayed at the "Dresser-Palmer House" on our last visit and it was really nice. We didn't stay there this time due to new ownership and the major amenities have been deleted. When we both showered in the morning our feet were so dirty from walking on the carpet the water turned black running to the drain. That was an absolute first for us! I think breakfast was from 7am (or 8am) to 10am. We got there shortly before 9am and while I found a table for us my wife went to get her meal. When she saw such a shortage of bacon she got some for me. My wife heard the staff member tell the people behind my wife there wouldn't be any more bacon. Plus, she started cleaning and putting things away nearly 45 minutes before the breakfast was scheduled to end. Probably wasn't a great way to offer a breakfast. Other than that, the food (again, for this type of hotel) was good.

Amazing location so close to everything, however our room smelt quite bad and air-con wasn't working, this led to a very unpleasant night in the middle of June. Washed some clothes and they were still soaking in the morning as steam from bathroom seemingly had nowhere to go. As it was late and we had unpacked etc did not bother trying to get moved rooms as just too tired. I would give this place another chance as if the air-con etc worked okay the location is superb, perhaps the cleaner needed to be more observant. Although we could have gone down late at night and asked for a room change this rating reflects the fact that we shouldn't be put in that position, you should get a perfectly fresh room whenever you check into a hotel and not be disappointed when you open your door. Also whilst some of the staff were very friendly some did not seem in a very good mood.

The location to the historic district is perfect. You can walk the entire district easily from the room. The staff were wonderful. The rooms are just right to relax. Next trip to savannah we will stay here.

Behind the hotel is a construction zone which the hotel does not mention. As a handicapped person with a dog I was given a room in the back of the hotel which they would not change. Even though I offered cash for a different room so I could be closer to my car. So in my attempt to move my car from the handicapped spot in front to the back where the construction site is located my tire low pressure light came on. The manager of the hotel Rokeem Jackson did not care at all. Neither did the customer service person named Courtney. But according to their website “Best Western Cares” HAHA. NOT. Rokeem asks me what I would like them to do so I tell him and his response is we can't do that. So why go through this exercise of stupidity if the hotel manager is not willing to do anything. : ( all I can hope for is that more people read my review and chose not to stay at this BW. So today I am spending my morning at the tire repair shop and have to wait for a few hours before they can look at my car. : ( I stay at BW hotels all the time. Well this is the last time.

very clean place. concierge service is fantastic. room staff is very accommodating to our needs and very pleasant to the guests. beds are very comfortable, could use bigger pillow. overall staff is very pleasant and helpful. we stayed for nights.

I loved this place. Great location, clean, comfy beds and the bathrooms are huge! There's a good selection for breakfast which caters for everybody's taste. Friendly staff....what more do you need. Highly recommended.

Parking is the only issue.$22 a day is a lot. Right near major attractions and on the trolley tours. Walkable to everywhere. Clean rooms. Would prefer queens over double beds but rooms are spacious and clean. Front staff where extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the area.

This is the standard "motel" type Best Western like those scattered across America but none the worse for that. We were on holiday from Scotland and found the staff friendly (after all we were in the South!) helpful and attentive. Check in and out was speedy and the room was spotlessly clean and well serviced. Breakfasts are excellent with a good selection of food and drinks. Our room was on Bay and, apart from the noise of a few late revellers on one occasion, was very quiet. The hotel does warn of building going on in the rear and of the likelihood of noise during normal working hours.

Close to the Riverwalk, Was worried about the construction on the West side of the River Walk. But it did NOT effect our stay at the BW+. Felt safe and we had lots of travel gear in our car overnight. On site Parking. AND OHHHH those Beauty Rest RECHARGE BEDS OMG like sleeping on a CLOUD. That will be our NEXT BED..PERIOD!!!!! The Staff were extra Southern Friendly!!! Decent Breakfast. Rates better on West Bay Street then East Bay Street. Would definitely stay again for our next Savannah Trip.

We loved this hotel! Very clean, comfy beds. Good internet speed. Staff was very helpful. Lots of choices for breakfast. Pool was tiny but who goes to Savannah to swim? Great location for walking to shops. Highly recommend.

We made reservations for Sunday evening and in the remarks box I asked for a ground floor of available to accommodate a wheel chair. I was emailed multiple times to ask if we needed a walk in shower too. Great communication and wanting to make your stay effortless.

Another hotel for 2 nights and another one in a great location. We liked everything about this hotel from check in to checkout. There was construction behind the hotel but it didn't bother us at all. The rooms were clean the bed was good. My only comment would be the double doors to the bathroom but a great stay. Breakfast was good and the guy in the breakfast room was great always polite and on hand if you needed any help. The staff on reception were helpful to as was the concierge who booked our trolley tour tickets. Excellent for the price

I had a group of 15, so we had 4 rooms. One of the rooms did not have working air conditioning and they were unable to get maintenance to fix it the first day and were unable to get us a new room (the hotel was very full, I admit that). Upon check-out I was told that no one logged the complaint into the system and she was unable to do anything to help because we went through a third party and no management was on site. She finally gave me a $40 discount... then told me that parking was $22 per day per car BUT had we parked in the overflow lot across the street it would have only been $16 per day. That would have been nice to know three days PRIOR when we checked in. $6 isn't that bad, but when multiplied by 3 cars for 3 days... that adds up. The lady at the desk apologized but said she couldn't do anything about it because she didn't check me in. Also to note, the pool is pretty small and is only 4.5 feet deep. It was ok- but if you are looking for anything more, you'll want to pass on this. The breakfast was good each morning and the gentleman that was hosting it each day we were there was very nice.

We had never been to Savannah and were told to stay near the historic district. This hotel had a reasonable rate and the reviews sounded good. We were extremely happy with our choice. The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the historic district, no need to drive anywhere. Parking was $22 per day for their lot and $16 for the lot across the street, we chose to park in their lot. The room was spacious and clean and every single employee we came into contact with smiled and said hello. There was one gentleman in particular, wish I would have got his name, who literally started a conversation with us every time he saw us, such a nice man. There's a small pool, a few tables to sit at and there's a convenience store right across the street for any drinks or snacks. There was a fridge in the room, plenty of counter space and a good shower. They have breakfast in the morning, eggs, sausage, biscuits, toast, cereal, waffles, fruit, etc...Only complaint there was the coffee was not good so we went to Starbucks a short walk away. We were there for Memorial Day weekend, so didn't hear any construction noise, but there is a lot of construction in the area. That said, there's also a white noise machine in the room. We will definitely be staying here again when we visit in December.

So all in all the hotel was "ok"..staff were VERY friendly, outgoing and helpful. Great Concierge..BUT the disappointment was the cost to park $22.00 per day which their site did not mention, and it was ridiculously loud with traffic when trying to relax by the pool. So while this is a pretty good location I would not stay again because of the noise volume for traffic..also, the hotel actually has their own parking but still charges to park..site stated "free parking"....again great staff and location ..just disappointed at not being able to relax in the evening being so close to the highway and all the traffic noise.

This hotel is in a good location situated near the riverfront and city market. Check in was very good, despite getting there early they took our details and upon our return everything was done including car park sticker (car parking is expensive at $25 per day but there are alternative car parks a short walk away). The room was clean with a fridge. Breakfast was good and tea/coffee is available at all times in reception. There were numerous USB points and plenty of sockets. The staff were all very helpful and extremely friendly. From the outside this hotel has the appearence of a motel but do not let that put you off, I would certainly recommend this hotel should you wish to stay in the beautiful historic district.

Loved this hotel, great location, very clean and nice room, Rakeem at the front desk and the rest of the check in staff were amazing and made it fun to check In, the only reason I took a star off was check out. The young lady was asleep in the chair in the office and it took us a few times practically yelling at her to get her to wake up and come help us, I asked for a receipt and she said her computer was frozen and she would send an email, and we never received one. Other than that, we would highly recommend this hotel and hopefully they will read this and properly train the overnight staff.

The staff was exceptionally nice. Lonny and Latasha at the front desk were verynice. Also, pretty much every other staff member we came across was very nice. My only dislikes was that parking was $22 (I did know about it ahead of time when I made reservations) and the A/C on the room was loud and clunky. Also know that not at any fault of the hotel there is construction right behind the hotel, so if you're on the back side of the hotel you get to hear all that from 7-7. So you might request a different area of the hotel when booking.

Enjoyed our stay here. Location is central to both the river district and the historical downtown area. Easy walking distance to everything we planned to see. Room was very clean and sufficiently updated. There was construction going on outside, but they made every effort to minimize it and even provided a sleep sound machine in the room. The staff was very friendly and took time to answer our questions about the area. The parking was $22, but the great price on the room helped to offset that cost. We appreciated the late checkout of 11:00. Would have liked breakfast to last at least until 10. Would definitely stay here again.

Not much from the outside and there is construction all around, but this is a very well run place. It's a little old but well maintained , outside corridors and 22 dollars a night to park there, the breakfast was good and staff great, all the other hotels in that area on or near river street are 100/200 dollars more a night , central to everything and will be back

Went there for my birthday on Memorial day - this is the second time I stayed there and loved it! Wonderful staff for check-in and check out. Mary , the concierge was a very big help. The beds were super comfortable and the breakfast was wonderful. Highly recommend this place!! Even though there was construction going on behind the hotel, we never heard a thing.

Went to Savannah for my birthday and was very disappointed in the Best Western hotel although they tell you that you'll have River views sadly there is not new construction behind their building blocks all views the only View that I got was a was of a construction site that started at 7 a.m. to wake you up would definitely go back to Savannah but not to this hotel

We loved Savannah, the location of this hotel was perfect, the concierge on the tour desk was awesome, gave us options to make our stay more enjoyable, we took the trolley tour from the hotel and it was great.

The hotel location was good, in close proximity to the historic district which is it's main attraction. The rooms are OK and the staff friendly. The breakfast is typical of included breakfasts however the coffee in the breakfast room is the worst I've ever tasted. If fact, even calling it coffee stretches the definition. More like hot brown water, absolutely tasteless. I walked a few blocks to a Starbucks to get our morning coffee.

Hotel is comfortable but our room smelled doggy as it allows pets. Slow check in. Rooms are tired - bathroom very much do had lifting plaster by the bath. it the location is good. Didn't make breakfast . Did use the pool which was quite nice

As a resident of Savannah I say choose else where visitors !! I stayed there over the weekend and had the worse experience from neighbors which is out of any hotel control to my car being Almost towed because of an parking pass I wasn't offered until after I paid $80 for my car to not be towed and that wasn't free so i left !! after being harassed because i gave the staff a piece of my mind for having my car almost towed even though i told them i was staying with someone so i was guess .... long story short enjoy your sleep at an Inn anywhere but here!!!

Best Western provided an excellent location on Bay St. We used Uber and walked and saw many of the attractions: Riverfront, City Market, Owens-Thomas House, Jepson Museum, Civil Rights Museum, SCAD, Bonaventure Cemetary and more. The hotel was clean, staff were friendly and conceige was very helpful. This s hotel was very good value for location in the heart of the historic area.

Incompetent staff. Despite being promised a specific checkin time, and being provided with a rooming list for our approx 48 people 24 hours in advance of arrival, they still managed to give us room keys with incorrect names on them. When this was mentioned they then took 1/2 an hour to fix their own mistake, and we were not allowed access to our rooms until they'd changed the names. Raakeem was particularly unhelpful and rude.

We had a party of four, My Wife and I with our Daughter and Granddaughter. We had a room with two double beds, wish they were at least Queen sized, but it made due. The room was clean and well appointed. If there were a suite available we may have booked one, but it worked fine as it was. The continental breakfast had a bit more choices than we expected, but the eggs and potatoes could have been hotter, (I learned on the first day - so after that I heated them in the microwave and it was fine). Beings our room faced Bay St., the construction noise did not have any effect on our sleep or any other area of our stay, except for construction dirt and dust on the vehicle. The staff were all very nice and courteous. The parking was a little tight, but we did not have any problems with having a space when we returned to the hotel. The hotel is conveniently located to the Historic District and City Market. Not too far from Trolley/Tour services and area Museums. Also, it was very convenient to get the "FREE" Dot bus service, which is a great transit option that Savannah offers!! All in all this was a very nice Hotel for our stay!!
