Best Western Plus Airport Plaza

We recently stayed here to attend our grandsons' ice hockey league season ender. The man at the front desk was nice (though a bit hard to understand with an accent and speaking very fast). The room was clean and had all we needed. The breakfast had a great selection including hot eggs, potatoes and bacon, various breads, cereal, waffles, juices and a variety of coffees and teas. There is a nice pool and hot tub, but we didn't have a chance to use them. Stores, restaurants and gas stations were nearby. We would stay again.

By mistake, I booked in this hotel in California for 2 nights as I wanted to book the best Western Airport in San Jose Costa Rica where I am write now, So I wrote to Customer care who reached out to Best Western Plus Airport in California and requested a one-time courtesy cancellation to waive the penalties associated with my booking. Unfortunately, the hotel completely denied the request, even if I did propose to apply my payment to the Best Western in Costa Rica. This way I loose almost 400$. So be careful when you book to double-check the name and the place of your next stay abo all you go to SanJose Costa Rica.

Love the hot spa. Breakfast is so much better than other hotels. Room and facilities are clean. Close to SJC airport. Great freshly made coffee machine with biscotti. Friendly staff. Will consider again on my next trip.

Nice clean hotel, location is great, right off the freeway, but tucked away in a nice quiet location, with easy access to food/entertainment. Hotel staff were friendly, helpful and professional. With the exception of a couple (minor) items in the room that needed to be fixed, the hotel is nicely kept and the breakfast was above average.

First time in San Jose, wanted a place close to everything. Jose(front desk) helped with suggestions and places to go. The whole staff was super nice, helpful and amazing. Breakfast was top notch and the coffee machine was awsome for the kids (hot chocolate)! I would come back for the staff alone. The only thing I would probably like better is more pillows. There are smaller pillows then I am used to. And the open lobby to the outside was a little unusual. Cameras are everywhere.

I was originally planning on just the one night but got delayed over the weekend and the hotel staff were very accommodating with a better rate for my three night stay They also took care of my luggage on my early arrival and were on hand and friendly service at all times. Thanks. My room was great and I had a restful stay. Highly recommended.

We stayed here while visiting our son at SCU because it was in walking distance to school and restaurants. It was very convenient.The room was clean, and we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary breakfast options. The hotel exceeded our expectations, and we would definitely stay again.

The check in was easy. I felt very welcomed. The hotel was right off the freeway. The beds were super comfortable. I slept all night. The breakfast was good. Shopping was close by. Nice and quiet. Will definitely stay here again.

Dirty breakfast tables and no one taking care to clean. Coffee and juices were bad. Otherwise good selection for breakfast items. Our shower curtain constantly blew into us while trying to shower. Super annoying. Location is decent and you can walk to some restaurants. Parking was good, some spots covered.

Nice and comfortable stay. Breakfast is the same daily but is good. A bit of variety in Breakfast would be nice since that is the only thing they serve. Please add lunch and dinner as well because it is helpful for students like me who travel from another country and have to book a hotel virtually.

Great stay, comfortable bed, we asked for queen bed but looked more like a full bed. Free breakfast was a plus.. and the options were good. The pool was closed and it did not state that when we booked the hotel, so if you want to stay here and want to use the pool, call them to make sure the pool is open. according to the front desk, the "pool has not been approved to be open".

This BW is convenient to the SCU! It is quiet. Clean. Great beds and terrific shower. Good parking and just a terrific staff working the property from the front desk to the housekeeping staff. All delightful.

I went from the airport to the hotel in a matter of minutes and then minutes to Rosicrucian Park and many restaurants. The room was perfect for one. My friend stayed down the hall. Breakfast and good coffee as well as a brunch place across the street made it a fun stay. Also it was well known to our Uber drivers. I was not expecting luxury, but a good, comfortable, safe place to stay for one senior lady.

Fairly close to airport. A bit of a hike to nearest restaurant (did not have a car) breakfast was typical Best Western fair but coffee offered was great as machine open all day had excellent choices..

Thank you again for a lovely room and a refreshing stay. We have been there many times in the past 15 years, and plan to return, for family, and for business. The location is close to the Courthouse. Remote (ZOOM) appearances may reduce the number of our stays in the future.

We were traveling to spend time with family and the hotel was perfectly located. Easy access to family all over town and very comfortable room. We will stay here again as the staff was great, the food was great and the room was perfect.

Although the Best Western is unprepossessing from the outside (and the elevator had an unpleasant odor), the room was large and perfectly clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was great; I asked if I could borrow a corkscrew and was offered (and accepted) wine glasses in addition. Breakfast was adequate; we enjoyed cappucino from the machine. Not much in the way of restaurants within walking distance (a Domino's and a bar) but that's a hazard of being close to the airport. No shuttle, cab or Lyft $20-25.

If you want Big Bang for your bucks, stay at this Best Western in San José. It is very close San José airport, freeways and there is a nice breakfast place Bill's across from it in case you miss breakfast at the hotel.

Convenient, pleasant property. Pleasant staff, desired amenities. Nice breakfast choices, automatic coffee machine. Easy access from Mineta Airport, convenient to shopping and eating options. Quiet room and comfortable bed.

Unfortunately, sound carries in this place like you wouldn't believe. It was very loud until late at night due to guest noise and then early in the morning due to car doors slamming and engines starting. The room had been cleaned but not well, hair from prior guests was on the bedside table and in the bathroom. Not outrageous, but gross for sure. The car park is ridiculously tight. You better hope you are not boxed in overnight. At this price, stay elsewhere!

Pros: fast internet and cold powerful AC. Cons: EXTREMELY tight parking lot for anything larger than a sub compact car. Rough hair-covered towels, pillows that are past their expected lifetime that feel like hard lumpy cotton balls in a cloth sack. The grinding expired permit elevator sounds like it was last lubricated several decades ago. On the plus side, it motivated using the stairs instead. Aside from the famous BW heart waffle maker, breakfast options were slim and grab and go fruits were still too green to eat. This was a fantastic reminder of why I never choose Best Western unless I absolutely have to.

I wouldn't recommend anyone on business stay at this hotel. They don't have any business section to use printers or anything. They want you to send it to one of their personal emails and they will print it for you. The check in staff was very nice and helpful with checking in and getting our room but some of the cleaning staff was rude and acted like you are wasting their time if you ask for something. Their only breakfast is burritos and fruit. They claim that it is because of covid yet other hotels in the area are serving full breakfasts.

Nice central location. Semi secure parking. And free breakfast. Was staying at BW to help offset high Marriott charge post pandemic. I appreciate the 24 hour attention of the front desk, and close walk between parking and rooms

Non-nonsense, simple facility with all you need for a few nights stay - breakfast, microwave and refrigerator and excellent location either to go into the central city or to get on the freeways. The only down side was we got our wakeup call 25 minutes late. Luckily we were up!

We stayed for one night while going to an Earthquakes match at PayPal stadium. All staff were very friendly. We took an UBER to a BJ's Brewhouse for dinner, close by. We then took an UBER to PayPal Stadium. This hotel is conveniently located to many restaurants. The room was clean and they had a breakfast in the morning. The breakfast was a standard hotel breakfast with eggs, bacon, potatoes, breads, yogurts, cereal, etc. My son loved the coffee machine in the lobby available 24 hours. It has 8 options for drinks with things like espresso and his favorite hot chocolate. I would highly recommend this hotel for a stay over in San Jose.

I travel for business and i wish more hotels operated the way this hotel operates. BTW....Home cooked breakfast, no 'carton' of egg mixture or frozen potatoes. Really clean and Operated by caring staff. I will always pick this hotel in the San Jose area.

Great Experience, Service Was Great , Location Is Very Calm , A lot of Nearby Places To Go To . Location Is Very Convenient Its Near Downtown & The Malls , Over All If You Are Traveling Its Very Close By & You Feel Safe Heading Out At Night For An Evening Walk .

I stay at this best western 20 to 30 nights a year. The staff were excellent food was great clean room location great coffee rooms nice and clean very quiet hotel location, My favorite place to stay when working in the area!

The room was noisy! you could hear people talking in the hallway and neighboring rooms at all hours of the night. you could also hear people moving/walking around on the second floor. Adittionally the HVAC unit was loud and would wake us up everytime it kicked on. The matress on the bed was very hard and the pillows were small, thin and uncomfortable.

I will book my next 120 days to come with Best Western. Liked there services, cleanliness, and staff. Not like the other hotels I stayed at were horrible. I recommend best western to you all. I will not look elsewhere

I really dont know where to start. The staff goes above and beyond to help me and my family. Nik & Jose hold down the fort! Extra pillows to making sure any left behind items we get back...Only because the HONEST & VERY CLEAN cleaning ladies do a great job Louda & Marta super sweet & nice. Gizele is a Rockstar makes sure laundry is on point! Major Drum roll for Amber! Amber you have made it possible for my family & working staff who staff here through out the week eat good! The coffee cakes!!OMG! Thank you so much for doing all you do guys!

I stayed here for one night before I flew home from California. It's very conveniently located to the airport, with a number of decent restaurants within walking distance, and a Safeway supermarket as well. Nice clean modern rooms. Everything worked. Front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. I will stay here again when next in the area.

The location and affordability cannot be beat- but the real gem of this hotel is the wonderful staff running the joint. Everyone was kind and helpful during our stay. My partner and I will definitely return next time we are in San Jose.

Rooms are as you would expect, needed a place for college student move in weekend and with downtime between tasks decided a pool would be a great amenity however the hotel has not published the pool has been drained due to???? In any event, this was not the top option and pool was the tie breaker- would have been nice to know…

This Best Western is centrally located and VERY reasonably priced. It is quiet. We did not hear any airport noise. There are many trendy restaurants in The Alameda. The front desk employees were very polite. The grab and go breakfast has a good variety of choices -- make sure you notice the refrigerator below the counter that has more items, including a microwaveable breakfast sandwich.

This Best Western, 2118 THE ALAMEDA SAN JOSE, CA 95126, is a hotel that we have stayed at frequently at over the year. Staff are friendly and capable, and attentive. Internet is fine, and before the pandemic, breakfast was decent. Mostly quiet. During the last stay, TV in the next room was loud. A call to the front desk, and the TV was immediately lowered. This is good service. Small rooms, but clean. Small refrigerator, microwave, bed comfortable. I do wish they would install a water saver in the shower since California has a water shortage. Good value for the money.

So I had a king suite it was very comfortable and spacious very clean,love the bathroom, woke up for breakfast and was treated with great customer service highly recommended . Only thing I didn't like was the cable

Nik and Jose greeted us at the front desk and were helpful, polite and made our check in experience easy and quick. They are the reason we came back and stayed in more than one visit. They went out of their way to share little tidbits of places to go in San Jose to make our experience awesome. The rooms were clean and neat and spacious and very comfortable to stay in. The hotel is located very close to the airport so it is also very convenient to stay here. I recommend this hotel to anybody, as it was a very awesome experience.

The staff including Nik And Jose made our stay. They were so helpful and friendly. Our maid (I think Martha) was great also. The staff makes this hotel a plus plus! If back in San Jose this would be where to stay. Close to airport and shopping.

The employee's were so absolutely helpful! Nik and Jose could not have been nicer and more helpful! We actually stayed here two nights. We then planned to moved to Monterey for two nights, but because of the friendly staff, we cut Monterey to one night and came back here for our last night! Thank you Nik and Jose!

Facility looks new and is kept very clean. Desk staff were very accommodating and the continental breakfast is available all day. The refrigerator is stocked with yoghurt, boiled eggs, string cheese and breakfast sandwiches you can heat at your convenience. Machine in the lobby had a variety of hot beverages.

This hotel was very nice. I will be staying here from now on when I come to visit my daughter. The decor was up to date. The room was very clean. And even though it was by the airport I only heard 2 planes.

I have stayed at different hotels in this area for work over the past 3 years. This one stands out for its sparkling clean rooms, upbeat service, and spaciousness. I arrived late at night and the hotel staff was so helpful for check in: a luggage cart was readily available and complimentary water and snacks had been stocked. The rooms are cheerful, the parking lot is clean and well lit at night. I liked that the room was cleaned daily, which is not the case with many hotels in the area. Everything was newly decorated, and all the appliances worked. None of that dated shabby feel that is common to this area. The hallways and public spaces were spotless. Rooms are quiet, no street noise, bed comfortable. A very pleasant stay and I will return. The only drawback for me in the room is the minimal kitchenette, there aren't plates or utensils, but the microwave and fridge were in good working order. Also there aren't black out curtains, the window dressings are cute wooden shutters--lovely decor but unable to blacken the room which made a difference as I do shift day and some day sleeping. Overall, one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in this area!

You can't beat this location if you are flying into San Jose. Not only is the hotel one of the cleanest and freshest but the location and restaurants nearby are excellent. From Bill's Cafe' across the street to Santana Row this place suites me well.

Alma ( front desk ) is very nice and has great customer service never in a bad mood and very polite over all the rooms are kept together great house keeping and all staff is great here very accommodating .

We checked into BW Plus for a couple of days of our10 days vacation with the idea to move on if we didn't like It. Well we end up staying for the remaining because the staff, Service & hotel were great

I loved my stay :) Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean. The housekeepers Gisselle, Martha, Heidi, and Roselia do a great job. Also, José is very professional and nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you!

We planned just one night here before our flight to Hawaii but we ended up having to spend another unexpected night. Jose went over and above our expectations. He was efficient and professional. The room was spotless

Location is close to the airport, which made an early morning flight easy. There is a gas station nearby the hotel, which made refueling the rental car easy. Short driving distance to amenities and highways. Staff in lobby was quick and efficient with any requests or questions. The burrito grab and go bag for breakfast was excellent and unexpected given other hotel experiences since COVID-19. The option to have access to the other grab and go items at all times was very appreciated (especially given my 3am checkout). The coffee machine was great compared to other hotels and access to filtered water was also very appreciated (other hotels often only have water at the soda/juice machine, which often leaves the water with an odd taste).

I locked my keys in the car at Shell gas station and Jose let me use the phone as well as the coffee machine! I was able to wait comfortably. Jose gave me great service and he definitely deserves more recognition.

Pros: The front staff is great and very attentive. The bed was comfortable. Cons: internet did not work well, I could hear neighboring rooms, biggest issue was I had to restart the tv connection on the box about ten times, the video kept freezing. It was quite frustrating.

Enjoyed staying at this place. It is quiet, close to freeway, staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and felt very safe with the location. Close to restaurants. Will definitely stay at this site again.

The hotel was nicely decorated. Front staff were always friendly and helpful. Our room was nicely decorated with very comfortable beds. The parking lot was never full and had under roof parking which was nice with the summer heat to keep our car cool. The neighborhood was mostly residential and quiet with a great breakfast/lunch spot right across the street. I would stay again when in the area.

My check in was okay, but strange. I had to get on a conference call right after I arrived and while I was on the conference call, someone tried to enter the room. Still not sure who it was as the front desk told me they would let me know who it was but never did. After that things were okay, but I never really did get used to the open and unsecured staircase that led right in to the hotel interior hallways. Strange.

They can come with better prices but all over all I was satisfied with my stay . The decor was nice edgy business feel. I plan to come here again when I'm traveling for work. Keep it up Best Western. I would be nice if they had 2 to 4 smoking rooms

Had a terrific night sleep and a quiet evening after a long day of driving. Rooms are clean and very comfortable. We didn't have breakfast (there is a great place diagonally from the hotel) but all interaction with staff was fantastic. Keeping this location on my list of “musts” when traveling.

Very nice and conveniently close to freeway. Fast and easy check in and out. Breakfast was very good. Rooms very clean. Plenty of parking. Right next to a gas station. Bed was comfortable. Not much of a view.

Poor cell phone signal here (Verizon) and paid $1,008 for 4 days only 1 ice machine (seem to be monitored by front desk-see picture). First night was extremely noisy from room above (ALL NIGHT), should be option at check-in for desired floor.

Chose to stay here one night before an 8AM Monday flight out of San Jose rather than making the trek from Menlo Park that morning. Front desk clerk was friendly and efficient. Room was very nice and spacious. Bathroom, however, is very compact. My room was on the street side which was noisy for a light sleeper like me. I should have requested a room away from the street. Didn't have time eat breakfast there but liked that there was a waffle maker and scrambled eggs with a variety of toppings like salsa, cheese, etc. I grabbed a bagel and instant oatmeal to take with me, along with hot tea in my hydroflask, Great that there is coffee, tea and water available 24 hours a day. Wish they had a shuttle to the airport. It cost me ~$17 to catch an Uber on a Monday at 6AM.

I stayed with a friend in a double queen room on a Saturday/Sunday overnight. Standard size for a Best Western with a clean bathroom and a small refrigerator And microwave. The lobby and dining area were disappointing - they looked much better on the website. You can access the rooms upstairs through an elevator or stairwell so security is more like a motel. There was a lot of road noise which quieted down after midnight but picked up again around 7:00 am Sunday. The coffee was from a machine that makes instant coffee and is not worth trying. The breakfast was not worth the effort but if you needed something quick and simple it would work-as long as you don't want coffee!

Comfortable clean room and quiet location. My wife and I had to drop our daughter off for an early flight from SJC less than ten minutes away. The breakfast was was good and the coffee selection was great. Got a good deal on Trip Advisor link to Priceline.

This is a great hotel and advise anyone visiting to the area to stay here. The staff are attentive, kind, and courteous and go out of the way to assist you and make you feel welcome. The breakfast here is outstanding with a variety of hot foods (real eggs!, sausage/bacon, potatoes, waffles) and cold foods (desserts, cereal, oatmeal, toast, yogurt, etc). The room I stayed in was very clean, bed was comfy, shower had great pressure and they accommodated my special request. I will always make this my go-to place to stay when in the area in the future!!

Nice facility. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was above average. Walking distance to restaurants and UC. Google search shows 1/2 to Avaya Stadium, but not walking distance because of the freeway. Overall great trip!

Everything we wanted to do in SJ (Winchester house, Raging Waters, Great America, airport) were all within 20 minutes of this hotel. Good parking. Just bring ear plugs if you get a street side room. The desk staff was amazing and the hot breakfast items never ran out.

Everyone and everything was great. Friendly helpful employees, CLEAN room, and fresh hot breakfast, even parking away from water sprinklers - all 100% satisfaction. I will use this BW Airport Plaza San Jose CA again.

Hotel exterior was a little dated when we pulled up but was fine went we went inside. Rooms decor was also a little dated but it was clean, comfortable and quiet, which were more important. Breakfast bar was good, with a good variety of standard hot and cold breakfast fare (scrambled eggs, bacon, cereals, waffles, toast, etc). Pool was on the small side, but we didn't end up using it anyway. Hotels in the area are generally pricey, but this one was relatively good value.

We stayed at Best Western Plus Airport Plaza on The Alameda, San Jose, for one night prior to our flight home after our California vacation. Unfortunately they do not provide shuttle transportation to the airport. But we still had our rental car that we would return at the airport in the morning (approximately 3 miles away). We actually have not stayed at a Best Western motel in a long time. We are glad we tried this one. The receptionist at check in was friendly and helpful. He provided us with a list of nearby restaurants. Later, we made use of that and ordered a delivered pizza from nearby Pizza Guys, which was the best pizza we have had in a long time! The receptionist said we could request a to-go breakfast bag since we would be leaving for our flight earlier than the breakfast hours. However, we never did as we were too full from pizza. We stayed in a second floor King bedroom. With the A/C on at night, it was very quiet for sleeping and the bed was comfy. Also the room was very clean. But unfortunately, the clock alarm had been left on and loudly woke us up at midnight (we forgot to check). But otherwise, we enjoyed our short stay at this motel and would definitely stay here again if ever in the area.

This facility was outstanding. Everything was clean and fresh. The staff were very attentive and helpful upon our arrival. Breakfast was excellent...nice variety of food selections that were well organized. Yugart with condiments was very nice. Actual plates and stainless utensils were an added bonus. I arrived slightly early and was greeted with smiles and welcomes. I was tired from my drive and understood I would have to wait for my room to be ready at 3 pm, so I wasn't prepared for being able to go straight away to lay down. Grateful doesn't even begin to express how I felt, I wanted to reach over the counter and HUG the stuffings out of Julian! Breakfast was not a disappointment either! Hot from the stove (Not microwaved) eggs, sausage and country potatoes. Fresh waffles with assorted syrups and fresh fruit, breads, sweets, yogurts , juices and coffees..... so much food! My room was clean, fresh and comfortable. I melted into the bed and loved my nice hot shower before heading out that night for business. Thank you!

We stayed here because it is close to the airport. Overall, it is a bare-bones operation. On the positive side: the staff were friendly and helpful. The room is average size for a small hotel and was clean. It is located about 8 minutes from the airport. Negatives: The room is cooled by an old style interior AC unit that is very noisy and difficult to regulate. The bathroom is small. There are no restaurants within walking distance and no airport shuttle. The walls are thin - we had to listen to someone snoring in the room beside us most of the night. Most annoying was a party of loud young people who ran up and down the hall at 2 AM. This disruption of our sleep lasted much too long. I would not recommend this hotel.

I booked this hotel based partly on reviews and have been disappointed. My husband checked into the room, which I would have rejected. The layout suffered because it was a corner room. The foot of the king bed is about a foot from the drawer pulls on the dresser. The bathroom door swings about an inch from the toilet. Happily, there was a tub. Unfortunately, no drain plug. Towels were small and few in number. The bed was adequate but not particularly comfortable. The refrigerator made an odd ticking noise all night. An "airport" hotel without a shuttle? A surprise, although they don't claim to have a shuttle. The breakfast was in no way superior to any other Best Western. Have to wonder why the standard offerings got such good reviews. Had to wait for scrambled eggs to be replenished and potatoes were not hot. The rate we paid was not commensurate with the experience. Will not stay here again.

We were visiting family and really needed a place to stay. We were referred by a friend to come here. The service was top notch and were incredibly friendly, courteous, and professional. We were able to sleep soundly and peacefully. We recommend this location to everyone.

For the weekday price of this hotel, we were very disappointed in our stay. The walls are very thin and we were kept awake by the tv in the neighboring room until quite late into the evening. The bed was not comfortable. The breakfast offered with our stay was very skimpy, no brewed coffee, powdered creamer compared to fresh or small tubs. Everything felt cheap. On the plus side, the room was clean. Will not stay here again. Was not up to par with other Best Westerns we have staying in.

I want to thank the whole staff, especially Heidi the cook and Jose the front desk clerk, they were amazingly courteous professional polite friendly and welcoming!!! I want to mention Julian and Emma!

Alma and José both went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed--from printing a document for me to late night conversation to moving me to another room! I was originally in a wheelchair accessible room (103) toward the street. There was noise throughout the night: trucks driving down the street and the sound of a traffic light making sounds to guide people with visual impairments whenever the walk signal was on. I am a light sleeper, so this was a problem for me. Given that I use a wheelchair, I could only access a tiny portion of the already small room because the bed was so close to the dresser. The bathroom was accessible (with a roll-in shower, no bathtub). I was told that there are only wheelchair accessible rooms on the side of the hotel next to the street, so I asked if I could see the layout of a non-accessible room. José was happy to show me 102, and I ended up moving to that room (with his assistance). I could get my wheelchair into the bathroom and there was MUCH more space in the bedroom (with enough room between the bed and dresser that I could get through). The bathroom door opened inwards though, which made it a challenge to get to the bathtub. It worked alright for me, but this is something other wheelchair users should know if they are considering requesting a non-accessible room. Importantly, it was QUIET!

Our stay was overnight before flying out early the next morning. We reserved the king suite to have more space for only a few dollars more. The whole hotel, but especially the room, was very clean and appeared to be recently remodeled. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was very large, with a huge shower. The hotel recently installed a white noise machine due to street noise, and they worked well. Covered parking is available. Highly recommend. As an aside, it's very close to the stadium.

The room was decorated very nicely. There was a large bathroom and shower. It was very convenient having the microwave and frig in the room. The bed was very comfortable! The hotel has only 2 floors which is nice because it's quite and doesn't feel as crowded. House cleaning did a great job! I'd most likely stay here again if the hot tub was in working order (it was closed for cleaning during my stay which I didn't find out until AFTER I had checked in).

I enjoyed the stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable, very quiet hotel, didn't hear doors slamming. Comfortable bed with super soft pillows. Great shower pressure. Breakfast consisted of eggs, potatoes and bacon, assorted breads, hot and delicious. Friendly staff, would recommend!

My friends and I stayed at this hotel because we were going to a concert at SAP center. It was very close and convenient. Rooms were very clean, but the bed were pretty hard, and 3 girls doing our makeup we noticed the lighting wasn't that great. But those are minor issues, overall a very nice hotel

Stayed for 2 nights, were mainly out of the hotel most of our time here in the area. But breakfast and the attendents were great. The room was fairly large and very comfy bed. Wifi was quick and did not take long to connect. Would easily stay again.

Was in town for meeting. This hotel was centrally located to my meeting as well as shopping & dining. Right off the freeway and very close to SJC. I would definitely stay again.The price was higher than I would have liked but lower than similar hotels in the area. Breakfast was excellent for a BW, real scrambled eggs,bacon,potatoes plus all the other items you expect.

This Best Western is an excellent place to stay when you find your way to San Jose. Clean, comfortable, well staffed. The rooms were clean, comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding, The grounds were inviting. I recommend it!

We have stayed at many Best Westerns, this was in the upper third. The room was medium size with desk, easy chair and ottoman, side table, lamps. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, hair drier, iron and board, TV. Pool which we didn't use. Continental breakfast was better than usual. Parking was a little tight. The desk chair in the room desperately needed replacing and I was told it's on the schedule. The lobby has coffee and other amenities. It is three stories, rooms are on second and third. We spent two nights and overall were very satisfied.

Nice ADA room with what was needed to recover from my recent surgery. Good bed, room to move walker around. Bathroom well equipped to handle both my limited mobility and my husband's regular needs. Full breakfast with the great BW waffles

This was the cleanest hotel I have ever been in! The corners, the bathroom, the blinds in the room and the hall - everything was so clean! Beds were comfortable, room a nice size and the employees very friendly. The breakfast was great with lots of fresh fruit, and little things like caramel and chocolate for your waffle. They also had coffee/tea/cocoa 24x7. Nice hotel, easy to get on/off the exit. Would stay again if in the area.

The hotel offered nice spacious rooms. Television, microwave, and refrigerator with freezer. Hotel staff was friendly. The breakfast was good. Parking was never an issue. We had a good night sleep. Rooms were very clean. The only complaint about the hotel was that there was only one luggage cart for a hotel with no ground floor rooms.

The staff was great, very nice and helpful. This hotel is smaller than most, only 2 floors so you don't have all the screaming and whatnot like the larger ones. We stayed in 2 different rooms over a period of 4 nights, both were nice. The only downfall, there are only a couple of food establishments within walking distance-although-everything in a car is about 10 minutes away, and if you have a larger-style vehicle, the parking-lot is quite small.

We arrived late after a long, stressful day of stressful. We were greeted warmly by Jesus. He offered us complimentary snacks and water and directed us to free coffee and tea. The room was clean and comfortable. We had to leave early the next day but had time to eat the best hotel breakfast - fresh, flavorful, great variety. Wish we could have stayed and spent time in the pool and hot tub. Rooms near the airport are very pricey, we were thrilled to find such a high quality place at a good price. Thank you!!

I missed my flight and needed a good quality room that was as convenient and affordable as possible. Booking this room was fast and easy. It was very convenient and also the most reasonably priced in the are.

We had tickets to see David Byrne perform at Civic National theater in San Jose, CA in August. We needed a hotel that could accommodate my wife, myself and our adult daughter. We usually try to book in a Best Western as we have had very good experiences with this brand in the past. One of the main reasons we like this brand is they serve a full breakfast which is included in the room rate. We feel this is a very good value as breakfast for 3 at a sit down restaurant is easily $ 35-45.00.

Room was exceptionally clean and tidy. The decor is nice and updated. Bed, bedding, pillows were very comfortable. Standard (i.e. bad) continental style breakfast. Coffee machine is available 24 hrs in the lobby. Even given all that, it was very over priced.

Excellent employee service, helped me out when I needed a random plate. Their breakfast is decent, although if you don't like eating animal products good luck, the breakfast is about 90% animal stuff, but it is a buffet. Good rooms, difficult to hear into adjacent rooms. Bed was acceptable.

Hotel near Santa Clara university and downtown area. Enjoy this hotel as a non expensive getaway with a small pool and Jacuzzi. Best part would have to be the breakfast with plenty of stuff to chose from. Fresh real eggs and potatoes everyone talks about. Fresh coffee always available at the lobby for early risers with complementary biscotti. Rooms are clean and quiet.

Everyone I encountered at the BW Airport Plaza Hotel was gracious, friendly, helpful and went out of their way to make sure my stay went well. The room was very clean and comfortable. Parking was easy. I was very pleased with my stay at this hotel.

This is my go to hotel. All staff is professional and friendly. Clean hotel and great breakfast. Many resturants near by and close to the shopping mall. Will definitely come back to this hotel. Thank you!

Stayed 3 nights here the room was very adequate beds comfortable plenty of hot water the rooms looked updated and the internet was great. Ate breakfast there I will say it was actual quite good ate on real plates and silverware the staff very friendly Checking in and out very easy plus the room was very quite never heard the neighbors.

It has been many years since I have stayed in a Best Western. We booked this hotel the night before we flew out of San Jose airport after our California vacation. The room was small but clean and adequate. The staff very friendly and a better-than-average breakfast. Choose this hotel if you need a quick stay for business or travel for a night or two. It is nothing extravagant, but everything we needed.

This is the friendly and nice hotel. The room so warm decorated and also near to the airport, just like it's name. The price also reasonable and I won't forget about the breakfast menu, so delicious especially the beacon.

So, I am re-posting this review. I had to remove my previous review because a manager commented on my review apologizing for my experience (though also saying what I said was untrue), but also included my personal information in their response. I contacted TripAdvisor, but the response wasn't quick enough, so I had to delete my original review to have my personal information taken down. Maybe that was Best Western's intent? As for the original stay, the problem stemmed from several guests getting drunk and partying and smoking outside until around 4:00 AM. I contacted the front desk multiple times and was told each time that they would look into it. Each time, nothing happened. I had an early flight, so I effectively got zero sleep that night, which really sucked. To add insult to injury, the manager apologizing in my original review stated that it was an apartment complex next door and not their guests. Total lie, as I saw the group of people in the Best Western parking lot sitting on cars. Even worse, they lied further and stated that they reviewed security footage and there was no one there in the parking lot. Again, I SAW THEM! For HOURS! Given that they blatantly lied about several things and posted my personal information, I will never stay with them again (any Best Western). Horrible experience.

There's really only 2 hotels worth staying if you want to be near Santa Clara University, this hotel and Candlewood Suites. I won't go to any lower standard these as the rest becomes like motelish qualities. I stayed at Candlewood Suite at first because it was literally across the University. But it's quite pricier and just more dated. Although this Best Western falls under San Jose, it's really Santa Clara one block away. Not much rooms here and usually a full house so book early for all the days you need. Rooms is clean and comfy and modern. Would stay here again,

After graduation, we needed to layover to catch a flight in the morning. We had a rent car and BW+ is only an exit away from SJC. It was a great location for our needs. Checkin was a breeze. That is when I first saw the automatic coffee machine. It was love at first gulp. Just push the desired button and Whole beans are ground, diffused and delivered automatically. Fresh, hot, and delicious. Great coffee machine. I couldn't wait to wake up for breakfast. I love it! Coffee in hand we went to our room. Very comfy, 2 queens (not the ones from Polk St gulch). Sparkling CLEAN. BIG LED TV. Friendly helpful STAFF. QUIET!! Relatively good competitive value. Shell station next door to fill up the rent car before returning to the airport. Checkout in the morning was as easy as checkin - BREAKFAST included! I almost hate to share the info about BW Plus Airport Plaza because, next time will be harder to book at a higher price. I had a nice comm from Amber Todd the GM as well. USB charger for mobile devices in the rooms would an additional convenience - but by no means a deal breaker. Happy Travels

This hotel is conveniently located about 10 min from The San Jose Airport and Avaya Stadium. The hotel was clean, quiet, and appeared to be recently renovated. I would stay here again if I visited San Jose.

Overall a great stay. Room was clean and spacious and comfortable. There was an impressive free breakfast including hot items in the lobby. But hotel WiFi was very poor - too slow; resorted to using cell phone.

A typical USA Best Western. Receprionist was very nice. Room was clean and we had an excellent nights sleep. Breakfast was more than sufficiant although the dining area could do with being larger as we needed to wait for a table. We would stay here agsin.

We chose this hotel for it's close proximity to the SAP Center, which was the reason for being in the area. It was also close to the freeways, so it made it easy for our day trips to San Francisco. It was still a distance 1-2 hours to get into the city because of traffic. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed a warm breakfast of eggs, bacon and potatoes each morning.

Great breakfast. Room standard. Beds comfortable, good pillows. Easy to get to airport. We booked 3D party site and felt like we got a room right off elevator and were told it was because we did not book with their website.

The Airport Plaza hotel has very friendly staff, great breakfast, and close to everything! The bed was very comfortable and very clean room - had a shower and tub too. We Loved it! If we are back in San Jose, we will stay here again.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was an elevator to our floor to help with our luggage. There was a small pool and hot tub too. The breakfast was a typical free hotel breakfast, it was okay but a wonderful breakfast place, Bill's, is just across the street. The room was clean and looked almost newly remodeled. I liked the nice wood blinds instead of the typical hotel curtains. There was some road noise, but not too bad. Our portable sound machine blocked it out. I would recommend this hotel. San Jose was a cute city. Loved the Winchester Mansion Tour. The history was fun to learn. Close to San Francisco also.

I have stayed at this BW location twice now, as it is within walking distance to my son's house, which makes it very convenient. Stayed in a King Suite, which was quite large and very comfortable. Wifi was fast, hot breakfast selection was more than adequate - eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereals, waffles, bagels, toast, yogurt, etc. Wish they would get rid of the "fancy" coffee maker though - takes a long time to brew, too many choices, tends to have a line waiting for coffee. Just go back to a regular pot of coffee/decaf.

The Best Western Plus Airport Plaza is a conveinent and easily accessible location located right off Hwy 17. The hotel is an internal hotel offering a safe feeling entering and exiting your room. The rooms are oversized and so are the bathrooms. Breakfast is included and parking and the internet are free with your paid room.

I rented a room here to spend the night before a very early morning flight from San Jose airport. It was fine, but not great. My room faced the main street, so there was a lot of traffic noise even late and intermittent beeping whenever a pedestrian hit the crosswalk signal. I ended up needing earplugs to sleep, which is very unusual for me. Also, the room wasn't particularly nice. Everything was just kind of worn and old looking, including the mattress. I probably wouldn't even have bothered to review except this room also cost me $250, which was definitely a function of its proximity to the airport (and time of year--the week after Thanksgiving). Without location, this room was not even worth $100. On the positive side, the desk clerk was lovely and made check in and check out as fast as possible for me. He also had a cab waiting for me when I departed as discussed the night before. That was fantastic.

This is a very nice hotel located conveniently near the San Jose airport. The hotel was in very nice condition, the room was clean and well appointed, and the staff that I worked with were all very professional. I had an early departure and wasn't able to try their breakfast, but they did send my daughter off with a cup of coffee. The location is ideal for access to the San Jose airport; it is about a five-minute drive to the airport gates if traffic is low. I would recommend this location.

Best Western is my preferred brand whenever I travel (yes, even outside the U.S.), but even with the high expectations I have, this location on The Alameda surprised me. The breakfast was ALWAYS hot and plentiful. I loved the variety of options (bread/bagels, waffles, eggs, potatoes [!], yogurt) and the 24-hour coffee/cocoa/tea bar was a bonus! Especially after returning later in the night in the cold! The Front Desk staff were personable & professional! Check-in/check-out were seamless. I decided to take the bus to the Convention Ctr and the Front Desk agent gave me directions for the bus, as well as walking from the bus stop. So helpful! The Kitchen staff were awesome! They always checked to make sure hot/cold items were fully stocked. I loved the salsa with my eggs, which one of the staff noticed. The next morning, when she saw me, she greeted me & then refilled the salsa as I placed the eggs on my plate. SO thoughtful! Housekeeping rocked! I always returned to a clean room & I enjoyed the toiletries. Kudos to the hotel for the Internet speed. Very helpful and needed during my business trip! The room was clean & comfortable. I'm not noise-sensitive, so if there was an issue, I didn't notice. I slept well, which I needed after my long days/nights. The bed. The bed & linens! Clean AND comfortable. I was cozy & it was hard to get out of bed to start my day. But, thankfully I remembered the yummy & ready breakfast! I'll most likely return next year for the same Conference. There's no question where I'll stay - the Best Western Plus Airport Plaza in San Jose!

passing through San Jose on way to Lake County, decided to stop rather than press on, got a great rate so I stayed the night. Had restful night on great King bed, then excellent breakfast next morning.

Our 2nd time at this BW, our 3rd BW in the past 4 yrs. The room was street facing but not noisy (Thanksgiving wknd). The room was clean but carpet was so filthy, keep your socks on or bring slippers! Breakfast was a very big assortment of foods including hard boiled & scrambled eggs, cereals and breads, a waffle maker, fruit salad, and bacon and potatoes.

My daughter and I stayed here one night, very convenient to the new Avaya stadium. Super clean and appeared to be newly updated. I would definitely stay here again. Kudo to your housekeeping staff. Parking was also easy. Always important in the Bay area.

This best western is by far my favorite place to stay. It is very clean and quiet. Has a nice exercise room, but the biggest selling point is the free breakfast every day. It has waffles and cereal but also eggs, fried potatoes, bacon, sausage, many breads for toast, juices, fresh fruit, Fresh melon and pineapple coffee or hot chocolate. Just an outstanding buffet selection. I look forward to my next stay in San Jose

Attractive small hotel. Clean & comfortable. 15 minute walk to the University. Inside room is quiet for sleeping. Streetside room: can hear some traffic. Tasty full breakfast, at no extra charge, was appreciated.

I wasn't sure about this place but as most of the other hotels I usually stay at in the San Jose area were booked and my company requires me to stay at one their approved list, I gave this one a shot. To my surprise, this place exceeded my expectations for the price point. While it is a no frills hotel, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the internet was probably the fastest of any hotel I have stayed. The breakfast buffet was actually pretty good with eggs, potatoes and sausage. I will make this one of my go to places when I travel for my company.

We were searching for a hotel near the SJC airport and this location was perfect. Ms. Todd was wonderful to work with, always eager to help and answer any questions we had. We have stayed at the hotel several times and plan to stay here again on any return trips. Great location and lots to do in the area. Highly recommend!

I had out of town guests and searched for a hotel in my area. Ms. Todd assisted me and my friends. They have since come back to this hotel several times. She was extremely professional and accommodating to our many questions and needs. I would recommend this hotel again and again! I also need to mention that the area is clean, quiet, safe and comfortable besides being so close to the freeway and many San Jose and Santa Clara sites.

We were staying here in between Yosemite and the west coast. It was a good pit stop, though we ended up there for 3-4 nights. It was clean and I think reasonably priced. The air con in our room was either way too cold, or we had it off which made it hot. We were on the road side which was a shame as it was quite noisy and the street lights came through the shutters. I think on the back side of the building would have been better. The rooms and bathroom was clean and a good size. Pool was OK, kids loved it. Breakfast was included and we found there were really good options for us to choose from.

We stayed here in order to catch a flight out of San Jose. The King Suite was the nicest room that we had in our 9 day visit to California. Large clean room, large bathroom with a nice shower. Remodeled and would highly recommend this hotel

Great service , clean, exactly what I needed for a one night stay, with super friendly staff and a great restaurant across the street for breakfast lunch or a drink. I even ordered delivery from a nearby restaurant one of the nights and the food came straight to my room

The room was very clean and the staff courteous. It's located very close the the airport, which is convenient, but the area is residential, so it doesn't feel like you are next to an airport. The AC was noisy, but management is on top of it and investigating. Management seems very responsive to issues.

We have enjoyed staying here for many years & find the staff here caring & courteous. The rooms are always clean. If anything isn't right with your stay, they do everything they can to fix it, just call them & let them know.

Pleasant, nicely decorated. Towels are not high quality but room was clean, odor free. Good internet, very nice staff. Vending cannot break a $20 so a change machine somewhere for after-hours would have been helpful.

We were very disappointed. The room was expensive for this class of hotel because we had to book it two weeks out. A lightbulb was burned out, the sink drain did not stay closed, there was no bathtub drain stopper at all, no safe and the only ice machine was on the ground floor - we were on the third floor. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable. I would only go back if absolutely necessary.

I stayed here recently for one night and it was a solid place to stay. It was close to the airport and reasonable in comparison to other hotels in the area. Service at the counter was good and the rooms were decent and clean. Not too much to say about the stay other than there were no issues or complaints and the service was solid. I didn't have a chance to try the breakfast so I cannot speak to that. I would be back if ever traveling back to the area.

We arrived at the destination an our room was not ready and we had to wait an additional 30 minutes. We arrive at 5 pm. The cleaning lady immediately cleaned he room for us and she was very friendly. I was pleased with the cleaning lady and the time she took to clean the room for us. We were very happy after the wait.

I had to spend four days in San Jose on a business trip and stayed at this location. The property was well kept and the staff were all very friendly and on point. They offer breakfast for guests although I didn't partake in it. I would have to say my only irritation with this trip at this location was when I made the reservation, I had asked for a ADA room due to the fact I have a permanent knee injury. I was told there wasn't one available for the day I arrived but there was won available for the remaining three nights following it and that I would be able to switch rooms after the first night. I agreed to it and was told it was all set up. When I arrived and checked in, I asked about the switch for the following day and I was told sorry, that's not in the system and there wasn't an ADA room available now. My mistake was not getting the name of the person who had set it up which I normally do. All I can say it was it was a male employee. Other then that which made the actually stay a bit more difficult, mostly in the use of the shower and bathroom, the rest of the stay was excellent. The bed was completely comfortable and again the staff I interacted with in person were great.

This is an old hotel. Nice staff and comfy beds but shutters on windows that do not block light sufficiently or street traffic noise. Also not well sound proofed. Pretty good breakfast. Close to airport.

This is a smaller hotel with all the right stuff, that is conveniently located near the college campus, downtown SJ and the airport. It's very well kept, clean and quiet. The breakfast is excellent... something for everyone. The staff have always been helpful. I always try to stay here when in the area, as it's a value compared to most in the area and well maintained. I've stayed there three times now, and hope to stay there again in the future.

It was really a bad experience The room was actually quite nice with good bed but tge tv was too big for the space and made it not comfortable to watch. The really bad was the all kinds of noises It felt like I was sweeping in the middle of the cars in the street In the bathroom if you wanted to have decent light you needed to have the extremely noise vacuum exhausting on The mini refrigerator could only be dosconected in the electricity and it was really noisy In the morning when someone was having bath at some close room it seemed like they were at my room. The breakfast was not bad, although full of noisy machines also The really only good thing about this hotel was the nice staff, very very kind It might just have been bad luck but based on my experience I do not recommend it to nobody looking for a good nigh sleep

Excellent stay in all respects. We needed a hotel near the airport for an early morning flight. We would stay here again. Best value of any hotel from our 10 day stay in the area. Staff was very helpful. Less than 3 miles from airport.

We selected this hotel for its proximity to SCU & it is convenient for that. The public areas & the rooms need maintenance:(1) the tread on one of the stairs had come off & was lying on the step below (2) the elevator door sometimes didn't close properly & it shook & swayed alarmingly when in motion. When my husband pointed this out to the desk clerk, his response was to simply seem surprised (3) some of the shutters in the room wouldn't stay open. The beds were so hard that it felt like sleeping on an ironing board! In all our interactions with the desk clerks, from check in until departure, we were treated with indifference.

The hotel was on the outskirts of the downtown area. It took me about 15 minutes to get to the restaurant downtown for my book club. It is located near the airport and is on a fairly busy street. The parking was a bit limited, but okay. I would go back if I am over that way again.

Very convenient to Santa Clara University and the airport. We stayed here for SCU graduation; it was very convenient. There is a Starbucks and Tasty breakfast spot accross the street. It's within walking distance to Santa Clara University with easy access to dorms and athletic fields.

Remember, if you are staying here, it's because you couldn't stomach $250-400/nt at the big chains. It's an absolutely fine place, reasonably quiet (on the even number side, away from the road). Rooms are small, but nicely appointed. It's right off the 880, quick to many places. There is a YMCA about 6 blocks away for a workout.

This was the first of many hotels that we will stay in during our USA/Canada vacation, and if they are all like this we will have no problems. From the moment we arrived Amber the general manager and her staff could not have been more helpful, they went out of their way to make sure that we were happy.

This Best Western Plus was an excellent stay. The room was attractive and nicely decorated. It was spacious and had everything we needed.The bed was comfortable. The breakfaset was excellent. When we asked questions, they were answered with patience and sincerity.

I stayed for a week in late May 2017 for work. The hotel is small and quiet, which I loved. The room was perfect - clean, quiet, and comfortable. I slept really well every night. The shower was great! The free wifi was adequate for email and web browsing. The free breakfast was actually pretty good. They had scrambled eggs and obrien potatoes every day. They had either sausage or bacon as well (the bacon was really good). They also had all kinds of other stuff like fresh fruit, breads (bagels, toast, etc), waffles, hard boiled eggs, string cheese, etc. The coffee machine in the breakfast area makes all kinds of yummy drinks like espresso and cappuccino. There's a Safeway within walking distance and also a few places to eat.

I wasn't expecting that much but have been pleasantly surprised. Not only does the free breakfast have real eggs but the hotel is clean and well maintained (Frankly a step up from the Hilton and Marriott properties I've been staying at lately). The only issue is the walls and windows are thin so if "some" noise bothers you it might be tough here.

The hotel is very close to San Jose Airport. The front desk staff are very helpful especially with flight assistance and information. Room is clean and comfort. Bathroom are large and clean. Breakfast is ok. Easy to get to airport and no worry of traffic jam.

I can't say enough good things about the two nights I recently spent at this hotel. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated, clean, and well furnished. The general manager and staff are so courteous and accommodating. The complimentary full breakfast is great along with the fabulous cappuccino machine. It is apparent this Best Western Plus Airport Plaza hotel is well operated and maintained. I would highly recommend to this hotel to anyone in need of accommodations.

This hotel is located just down the street from the Sharks arena (the purpose for our visit). It is well kept, very clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful. This hotel has been recently updated and is very tastefully decorated. The rooms are spacious and the beds are so comfortable, I could have slept for a week! They have a cappuccino machine in the lobby that is probably better than any Starbucks or TIm Horton's I've ever had. The breakfast room looked really nice, but sadly I did not get a chance to experience this amenity as I slept in. This hotel had everything I could ever need . Thank you Best Western!

We were surprised how comfortable a night we spent here after our long haul flight. It was free with points as well. The room was spacious, the bed comfy and the bathroom was more than adequate with good towels. Staff were cheerful and helpful. A rather nice Mexican restaurant is within a few minutes walk, good when we were trying to get into the time zone and a new routine. We would recommend it as an airport hotel.

bed was comfy, room was nice and tidy and the room HVAC worked fine. Only negative thing was the carpet in our room was FILTHY. My daughter's feet were black after only a few minutes of walking barefoot in the morning- I kept her shod the entire time we were getting ready and packing to leave! Cannot speak to the morning breakfast as we didn't partake but aside from the filthy carpet, the hotel was just fine. We only spoke to the front desk staff at check in and to drop off our room keys in the am but they were cordial and polite without being overly friendly.

Overall this was a great hotel to stay at. My son had a robotics competition Saturday morning, so instead of waking our toddler up early to leave we decided to drive down late and stay the night. The man at the front desk was amazing. It was $50 cheaper for us to book through Orbitz than it was over the phone. He went above and beyond though. Looked up the distance to the competition for us and let me know about the rain for the next day! Excellent customer service. The room was pretty big and nice. The sink in the bathroom didn't drain very well, but no big deal. We would stay there again. The breakfast was ok. The only reason I took one rating off was because of our blanket. We accidentally left one of our kids blankets behind in the room (we discovered it we had left it when we got home and unpacked). We were there just for maybe 11hours (?) so we didn't have much to pack. I totally forgot to grab the blanket off the bed though :/ Bummer. Anyways my husband called and there was no blanket there. He was told they would check with housekeeping. My guess is it probably was just tossed. Kind of sucks, but I get it. It would have been nice to have gotten a call that day saying oh hey we found a blanket in the room. At the same time these things happen. The blanket is replaceable, so no worries. Just a reminder to triple check you take everything with you! Like I said we would stay again because it was a clean room and the area appeared nice.

When we were already on our trip and my husband decided he wanted to see the Winchester House, I had a one night reservation made here by the BW we were currently staying at. Whether the king suite was the only available king room left, or whether we got upgraded, I don't know, but we ended up in the king suite which was so large it was a pity to only be there one night. It had not only a sofa but also an easy chair and ottoman, a coffee bar with a fridge, desk and chair, many windows with shutters, and a spacious bathroom with a large tiled shower. The decor was not to our taste, but we could live with it for one night. The breakfast was great - this was the only place we stayed at that had potatoes along with the other hot selections. A coffee machine dispensed different types of coffee, including espresso, cappuccino, and hot chocolate, so having a cappuccino with breakfast was a nice treat. We found a terrific Italian restaurant a short drive away called Fiorillo's (I will write a separate restaurant review) which so impressed us that we told the hotel to add it to their recommended restaurant list. The only minor problem we had was when I went to make myself coffee in the room when I got up, everything I needed was there except for coffee! I mentioned it at the front desk and the clerk apologized, so I was happy that the coffee machine in the lobby/breakfast area was working.

The room and hotel were very comfortable for the price. We were flying out the next day from San Jose Airport, though there is not a shuttle the taxi was coordinated for us and not expensive, but an uber ride would also be convenient. The staff was very accommodating. I wish I remembered the name of the young lady at the front desk. She made our stay will worth coming back. Our flight was early so she made sure we had a taxi, wake up call and a bagged breakfast, since we left before hot meal was available.

Very Friendly and clean love the breakfast, hotel located in a good area. Stay at this location at least once a month for business. Usually many rooms and great place. Definitely a location that will use to future business purposes.

Best Western Plus Airport Plaza, San Jose was a very good place to stay. Room were nice and well kept. Service by the staff was very good. The price to stay was fair when averaged over 4 days because the rates fluctuated over the 4 days. Would recommend staying here.

Stuck in San Jose for a civil trial moving at a snail's pace. Wasn't planning on being in the city for more than one day, but when I was forced to stay a second night, I turned to BW as a Diamond rewards member, and was not disappointed. Had a huge king room with full walk-in shower. Nicely appointed, sofa, arm chair, workdesk, not much more I could ask for. Breakfast was better than most BWs now that they're trying to be uniform (which I consider a negative, but don't blame the hotel--this was a corporate decision). Clean pool and breakfast areas. Recommended place to stay. Room prices are high, but so is everything in the area. But I'll get a boatload of rewards points with my loyalty bonus.

Very friendly staff, easy check in. Good location to miss the traffic coming from south in the morning. Breakfast included. Typical motel fare, but gets the job done. Everything worked well in room. Decent size comfortable bed. Little bit of road noise which you will notice if air con off. Coming from Hong Kong didnt worry more because its part of life. Easy fast checkout, would stay again.

TV was unwatchable until fixed by staff took assist by staff to get my boarding pass (couldn't get printer working on one computer and had to move to another.) Room was large and nice, think this is a fairly new property. Staff was helpful. morning breakfast included scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, juice and more.

We ended our 8 day California trip with one night in San Jose, and we were very happy with this hotel. Our hotel in San Francisco was 3x as expensive, and quite frankly, not as spacious or clean. It's convenient to restaurants and shopping. Definitely recommend.

I have stayed at many hotels over the past 4 years for business, this was by far one of the best, if not the best. The breakfast was for sure the best. Most of the staff was wonderful. Only one gentleman was bothered by a question I had.

Very nice stay at the Best Western we really enjoyed it here, the rooms were clean and comfy. The breakfast was very good also! The staff bar none was FANTASTIC Jesus (3rd shift desk clerk) was very good to us. I am a early riser and would come down for a smoke and my usual cup of coffee, Jesus was always bright and in good spirits and would make sure everything was ready for me (that meant a lot) our granddaughters would come and we would swim although the pool was a bit small it was always very clean and warm. The neighborhood was safe they had free parking over all this would be the only place we would stay on our next visit from Wisconsin....THANKS BEST WESTERN

I am pretty picky when it comes to hotel rooms and this passed my inspection. This room was very clean, smelled nice and had a comfy bed. Street might be noisy for some but you can ask for a room facing the parking lot. Front desk was very helpful and even came up to show us how to use the DVD player. ;) We would definitely stay again! They also provide a list of nearby restaurants at the front desk. It was super helpful!

We were in town for a funeral and this hotel was one of the best we have stayed at in a while. The rooms and property were very clean and the breakfast was good. The eggs were actually real eggs that were cooked and not runny. The rooms were quite and we were able to relax.

I stayed here on Labor Day Weekend, the hotel close to my job site was full when I decided to come in early to beat the holiday traffic. This was my first stay here but will not be my last. I was extremely happy with my room and the bed was a 10+. The only reason I gave 4 stars was parking was a little tight, other than that it was perfect.

This hotel is very well run and maintained. The staff is friendly and willing to help. The rooms are always clean and well supplied. The bedding is very comfortable. This is our hotel of preference in San Jose.

The picture's on this site are a bit deceiving and one-sided. I don't even recall seeing a pool, especially not one as extravagant as they conveniently blurred out in the provided picture. It's a terrible area that is run down but it's close to airport so that's great. Almost like a motel rather than a hotel. Limited on parking space. Good for airport travelers. If you want the regular BW amenities then you will find it here. If you're looking for BW plus standards then go elsewhere. Front desk was nice.

Even though we had a little trouble sleeping with light coming through shutters, over all experience very good. Appreciated breakfast available for early morning flight. On return from our vacation, stayed again and loved the suite we received. The location is further from the airports than we expected and a car was necessary for the dinner we wanted but other than that, our experience was very good.

We stayed here because it was close to downtown and a very good price. Not a huge hotel but very nice. Also a great breakfast and lunch restaurant right across the street. The room was very clean and we were on the back side so very quite. There was also covered parking for a lot of the cars. It was just a short ride to the downtown area and close to the airport. Would stay here again.

The best point for staying at this location is the convenience to the airport, plus a few fast food, restaurants and grocery store close by. The morning breakfast is also well-done. Agree with most that unless you get a room away from the road, you will experience NOISE (though you can still hear it from the back rooms as well though not as bad). Also the hotel could use better signs indicating the entrance is on the side street rather than on the Alameda. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable. Overall decent choice for one-night before going to the airport. (Note: while the hotel has free wifi, it is not a secured wifi).

After researching and reading hundreds of reviews for hotels in the San Jose area near the SAP Center, I concluded the Best Western was the place to stay. I read about issues with noise, bugs, parking and safety issues. This hotel had sufficient parking that was NOT valet or an extra cost. There was no excess traffic noise even on the main street side. The room was in excellent condition with soothing décor. We walked to a local business for dinner. We drove a few miles to the SAP Center for the event for which we had planned on the trip and the freeway access was close by. Our stay at this Best Western Plus made our trip GREAT!

The room I was given was for a disabled person. I have no idea how they would get around. The Fridge has the microwave on top then the coffee pot on top of it. To turn the pot on you have to reach to the back of the fridge to plug it in. If you were in a wheel chair or not very steady on your feet. It could be dangerous. Due to the height of he fridge. (Accident waiting to happen) The bathroom was obviously set up for a disabled person. So I had nowhere to put anything except on a chair there is no counter just a sink chair and shower. The rooms are very nice and recently updated so super clean. I had a room facing the road, If you are a light sleeper Good luck. Hotel is on busy road 1to 2 blocks from the freeway. Cars scream past at night so take a sleeping pill.with you. The front desk people are miserable and seem stressed out even when not busy.

This hotel was not up to standard. I was looking for somewhere clean, quiet, and with sufficient curtains. The hotel was clean, but failed to be quiet, and the shutters instead of curtains let in a lot of natural light. If you have a room facing the road be aware of road noise from approx 5am until after 11pm. It is true that there is less noise after 9pm, but it is still present. Cars with their stereos on at the traffic lights can be heard clearly in the rooms. If the hotel is fully booked then you will be unable to move to a room not facing the road. There are better hotels in the vicinity.

The room is not very big, but at least it's clean. The biggest complaint I had was it did not provide coin laundry machines in the facility and for people who stay for longer term it can be very inconvenient.

This was our first experience with the BW Plus and "plus" they did! Close to the airport and 10 blocks (suggest the Metro bus) from SAP Center. Free parking, WiFi, GREAT breakfast plus the bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Our room included a mini frig, microwave and coffeemaker - as well as a sofa, end tables and work desk. We did not have time t try the fitness center, business center or outdoor pool, maybe next time. Highly recommend, great value for the price.

This hotel was easily one of the cleanest, friendliest and easily accessible hotels I've ever stayed in. The breakfast was amazing, the pool, dining room and rooms very clean. Anytime we needed anything, staff was friendly, quick to respond and asked if there was anything else they could do. Check in and out was quick, organized and on mark with the entire experience!

Very close to airport. Walk up or elevator. Rooms were very spacious. Would recommend staying here if you need to get to the airport in the morning. There is some traffic noise if you get the rooms that face the street.

Was considering this and several hotels during my stay, as one of their competitors were getting out of my price range to become a repeat customer. I'm glad I made that decision because everything was a step up from the FREE parking to the WiFi Connection, customer service, etc. Location was good, as it was pretty much near multiple malls, restaurants, etc. Even the vending machine prices were good. Overall great experience and will be visiting again on my next trip!

The Best Western Airport Plaza, San Jose is a gem of a hotel located within walking distance of Santa Clara University. The hotel is very clean and the rooms are large. The full breakfast is excellent. The staff is extremely professional, courteous, and friendly.

The hotel is a good location with Applebees a stones throw away for food. The jewel for this hotel is the pool. It is an outdoor pool and did not appear to be heated but on a warm day it is great. I'd imagine the situation very different at the weekend when families will swarm on this but mid week it was nice to get a few lengths in. The pool can be seen in Google maps - check it out. As for the rest of the hotel, very nice room and friendly staff. Just remember to close the curtains if away from the road as the gym can see straight in!

Best Western PLUS Airport Plaza has a Caring staff that goes out of their way to be helpful, in a Convenient location, close to Levi's Stadium, Avaya Stadium, and San Jose Airport, and quiet, comfortable rooms, with an ample, complimentary breakfast.

We were here for the Copa America soccer games. It was close to the Levis Stadium. We flew to LA and lefted from Santa Jose airport which was also close. Great shopping near by. The room we had was very clean, good facilities and the staff were very helpful. Great choice for breakfast. Would highly recommend staying here.

I really enjoy staying at best western hotels because their hotels are much like home. They have one of the best breakfast offered and they are always courteous. The environment is always very clean, and best of all they have 24 hrs. computers available for business with free complimentary coffee/cappuccino machines.

Stayed here for Copa America at Levi Stadium. Location was convenient to stadium as well as downtown San Jose. Needless to say also close to airport. Rooms are very comfortable, a good size and spotlessly clean. The breakfast is very good and the staff very friendly and accomodating. Just a great place to base yourself if you're planning a few days in the area.

We needed a hotel near the airport in San Jose that was also a good value and chose this Best Western Plus hotel. We've had good luck with Best Westerns and this was no exception. In fact it is one of the nicest Best Westerns we've stayed in. The room was a very good size, very clean and the breakfast was quite good. The staff was friendly and very attentive. If took us less than 10 minutes to get to the airport, great for an early morning flight. And because breakfast doesn't start as early as we had to leave, we were offered snacks to take with us the night before. The hotel is right near Santa Clara University, a lovely place to walk. It's convenient to a supermarket and other stores, and since there are refrigerators in the rooms that's another great feature.

Motel pretending and charging like a Hotel. Roadside rooms are noisy and also the noisy fridges. Does not have a bar so no place to relax in the evening as there are not many places nearby either. Breakfast was very good, served in a small area by the reception.

This Best Western Plus provided the perfect place for my son and I while visiting SCU. Our room was fresh and renovated recently, beds were comfortable, front desk friendly and a surprisingly nice breakfast with warm options like eggs, bacon and make your own waffles was available and particularly appealing to a hungry 17 year old boy. The bread choices were basic processed but there were cereal choices, coffee, tea, yogurt and fruit. There was a thoughtful server who was available and unobtrusively keeping things stocked and clean. The hotel was close to the airport and the school. It was perfect for our needs.

The hotel is named the Best Western Plus Airport Plaza, but it does not have an airport shuttle service. The presented rates on the BW website look competitive until you add $30 (+ or - depending on the # in your party, there were 4 people in ours) for transportation to and from the airport, which is 2.2 miles from the hotel, and the inconvenience of dealing with the cabs at SJC, finding a cab large enough to handle the people and luggage in your party, etc. The hotel itself is nice, you can tell care and attention were taken in the remodel / upgrade. Our room was at the end of a hallway (per our request, thank you BW) and on the parking lot side of the hotel - so very quiet. However, the exhaust fan in our room was very noisy and the flow restricted shower head was maddeningly weak - plan on spending an extra 5 - 10 minutes in the shower - ladies, I am not sure how you will get shampoo out of your hair. The business center is against the wall in the same room as the breakfast. The complimentary breakfast was good, but a large screen TV with the volume turned up way too loud was irritating. The area is a bit sketchy and there's nothing close nearby - nearest anything is 5 long blocks away on a busy 4 lane arterial road. The hotel staff we encountered were nice and provided good customer service. Given the lack of an airport shuttle, I cannot recommend this hotel for travelers without access to a vehicle - i.e. those with an overnight layover at SJC, if you have access to a vehicle, then this hotel will certainly meet (and possibly exceed) your expectations.

rooms face a very busy road that is traveled constantly you should bring ear plugs or request a room with a best western parking lot view cause the other side is just not what I expected. the check in was fast and could see that it was late and we just wanted to get in our room and crash.

I totally loved this Hotel I would definitely stay again if I were to visit again. Parking is a little limited but thankfully I had no problem. Beds are really cozy and comfortable. Breakfast was amazing.. A whole variety of choices to choose from. Staff was okay. Loved it!

Positive sides: rooms are clean, quite large and comfortable. Negative sides : basic breakfast and undrinkable coffee. Let me recommend rooms not in front of the main street. Those are really noisy because of the traffic, also during the night. Overall score is medium. I'll be back here in case I don't find anything else.

This truly is one of the nicest best westerns I have stayed at. Rooms are very comfortable and clean, everything is up to date or fairly new. It defiantly has an up scale feeling to it. The hotel it self is pretty small but it does offer complementary breakfast and free parking which is always a plus in my book. Location is perfect for business trip, near restaurants, shopping and a lot of corporate and office buildings. Definitely recommend staying here.

This hotel is a bit expensive for what you get but is average for the area. The hotel is clean, the internet is good and the breakfast is average. Small parking lot, small property but very comfortable. Great location close to airport and east to get around the area. I would stay here again if budget allows it.

The Best Western Plus Airport Plaza, San Jose is within walking distance to Santa Clara University and 2 Starbucks. All of the staff are extremely friendly, professional, and helpful. The hot breakfast is amazing. The rooms are large and very clean. The beds are very comfortable. Parking is covered and plentiful. We have stayed at other hotels near the university and this one is the best by far.

This Best Western is in a great location for easy access to and from the San Jose Airport and for accessing freeways. There aren't any restaurants in the area for dinner, you'll have to travel into downtown San Jose or other areas, nothing within walking distance. The beds are not a high quality bed. For the price of a room, the beds should be a higher quality, comfortable bed.

We received a smoking fee during our stay, neither me or my co worker smoke, so I called the hotel to dispute it. I left several messages for the manager (Amber Todd) , but it was apparent that my calls were not a priority whatsoever. I also left her a voicemail and sent two emails that were not responded to. Finally , just yesterday, I received an email response from her. She told me that I 'better not call and demand that the charge be reversed' hahaha. I never demanded anything, I simply requested to speak with her on several occasions. She also provided pictures of 'proof' that we smoked in the room. All I see are some green flakes on a table and trash in a bag. I explained that my Roomie used the desk to roll a joint, yes he smokes weed but never in hotel rooms. She said she refuses to reverse the fee, and is now ignoring my request to speak with her superior. We will see how that works out I guess haha. We travel weekly for work and never have encountered such an unpro manager. Amber , get a clue. A simple return call was all that was needed.

When I entered my room, my first thought was, WOW! The decor and updates to the room were fantastic. As I closed the door and fully entered the room, I knew I was in trouble. I could hear the neighbors TV clear as day (and could tell they weren't playing it too loudly, it was just that the walls were completely useless as a noise barrier. I also heard people yelling in the parking lot. This was at about 10 PM, the yelling and cursing outside (which was right outside registration) continued past midnight, with several people yelling in the hallways too. Management did nothing and I eventually got to bed between 1 and 2 am, waking up at 4 am to catch a flight for a day of travel.

Room was great,breakfast was good. Way to close to the road.....very noisy all night. Next time I stay here I will ask for a room on the backside of the building. Back side has a nicer view of the homes and Redwood trees.

I stayed here for 2 nights and it was quite decent. Nothing fancy, but it was very clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The one disappointment I had was in assuming there would be an airport shuttle. I had to take a cab, which cost me $15 plus tip each way. My room had a microwave and fridge, so this helped to save money on food. The hotel is within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. It's a nice area, and I felt safe, even after dark.

I stay here because it is close to my daughter's house. But it is right near the freeway and it is easy to access many different things. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend this hotel if you don't have to be right downtown

I just stayed at the Best Western Plus Airport Plaza. A thoughtful front desk person at another hotel sagely said to me: "Traffic is so horrendous on a week day morning for getting to the San Jose airport, stay in an airport hotel the night before your flight." I appreciate that counsel as San Jose traffic intimidated me in general. I LOVED This hotel. I liked everything about it. To me, everything about it was DESIGNED by a person who understand travel. I like that the parking for checking in was so close to the elevator & also that the front desk person can actually see your car while you take your things upstairs to your room. I loved that I could use a cart to take things to & from the room. I requested a quiet room also confessing that I had over-packed & did not wish to carry my stuff too far. I was thoughtfully given room 104 which was perfect for my needs. (Sort of on a European system, 104 was upstairs), near the elevator, but 2nd room from it. Perfect for me. I never heard elevator or people in the hallway. The room was pleasing & I appreciated it having a microwave & small refrigerator. I even liked that the shampoo & conditioner were Pantene brand. I run cold & LOVED the unusually good weight of the extra blanket in my closet. Jose was consistently patient with my many questions upon arrival. He graciously helped me get my boarding pass from the computer. Amanda was just so sweet, caring & warm. The breakfast woman was also lovely & warm. The breakfast started early I think at 6AM which I loved because I wanted to leave early for my flight. The breakfast included scrambled eggs, sausage and fresh fruit. The hotel is close to the freeway to the airport and I think at 7AM my trip to the airport took 10-12 minutes which could not readily have been improved given how much I enjoyed the quiet of the hotel. Asking for a quiet room made a difference because it faced the hotel parking lot and I never heard a car or moving traffic and just slept. Mattress comfortable. I probably would have liked to give the place 4.5 stars. By the way, I think the photo of the units makes it look far larger than it feels when there. Just so well designed for the traveler and receptive to people!

This Best Western is comfortable and convenient for airport access. The food was good, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Parking options were very handy to support a trip.

I have been staying at the Airport Plaza, my home away from home, for more than seven years and always have had a pleasant experience. It is a small, locally owned and very well run hotel. Airport Plaza, as the name implies, is located near the San Jose Airport but also at the edge of Santa Clara University and easily accessible to downtown San Jose.

Seems like this hotel was recently renovated which made it nice. While it was modern and clean, it still had quite a bit of the original hotel feel. Breakfast and coffee bar were the best part of the stay.

Very nicely updated. Staff courteous and helpful. Don't pick a room facing the street if you have trouble with traffic noise. The traffic did quiet down at night though. Easy access parking. Easy access to freeway, close to shopping and restaurants.

I have stayed at this particular hotel for years during the holidays. The hotel has been recently (within the last 2 years) remodeled beautifully and is much more comfortable and friendly. Times past, the management had been grumpy, now everyone on staff seems really happy and delightful.

Perfect, non-commercial, non-high traffic, small scale hotel (40 rooms) in a semi-residential area yet just a few blocks away from freeway, downtown, and airport exits. Comfy room ready for the high-tech traveler with business and leisure accommodations. Have to make the right turn to get in the entrance on a side street but that's part of the benefit once you figure it out. Would definitely stay here again when in San Jose.

My husband and I stayed here after a medical conference and it was hands down better than the $400 per night hotel we stayed at during the conference. It is spotlessly clean which is a priority for us, the towels and linens were wonderful, the bed and bath were perfect and the staff delightful. My husband was unhappy when I told him that I had booked this hotel (his favorite one was fully occupied) but when he saw the room he was pleasantly surprised! We had a great stay and this gem will be our FIRST "go to" choice from now on. Six stars!!!

This hotel has a location that makes it easy to get around the San Jose area. Airport 5 minutes away as well as the Valley Fair shopping mall. There is a restaurant across the street for breakfast or lunch and many other restaurants close by. The hotel breakfast is a little better the the average continental with hot cooked bacon and eggs. Overall was very comfortable stay.

First of all I think the people should be acknowledged, Alma Martinez provided excellent customer service responding to our needs and making our stay a positive experience. The property was clean, breakfast excellent, the room amenities more than I expected with refrigerator, microwave and cable TV with all the channels. The bed very comfortable.

I stayed there three times already and will stay again. The staff is very friendly, rooms are clean and nice, location is good, coffee is good and breakfast, wi-fi and parking is free. What else to ask ?

This is an excellent value and good location right off the I-880 ramp. Previously I had stayed at other hotels, but due to price increases tried this location; the hotel is very new (or recently renovated) with nice quality rooms and amenities, free breakfast and parking, and overall an excellent price given the other area options.

We traveled to San Jose for football games. We were able to get everywhere without a car. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. We appreciated the staff doing extra going the extra mile for us. The pool and spa area were nice but noisy from traffic. Also the back side of the hotel is quiet side. Enjoy the great breakfasts and on demand fresh coffee.

Hope they haven't finished renovating this property. A lot still needs to be done. The second floor is complete and is very nice. The rooms are smaller than a Hampton's but nicely turned-out. I'd stay here again. ...........................

Very good free WiFi in the room, free breakfast with good coffee (espresso machine with coffee beans, not ground coffee) and on a good location 10 minutes from caltrainstation, 20 minutes from convention center and not far from airport, either. Box spring bed! Very good mattress. Clean room, nice staff. Didn't try pool or fitness room. Only disadvantage: the street-side rooms are very noisy.

The hotel was very clean and modern. The room was also very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent with lots of offerings. Very convenient to the airport and major traffic arteries. It was a very good stay for me.

The hotel was very easy to access from the highway. Check in was very fast and efficient. The hotel itself is in very good condition. The room was good size as was the bathroom. The breakfast in the morning was very good.

Close to airport for quick turn around flight. Room clean and comfiest bed, however the street noise was very loud. Nice people at the front desk when checking in. I would rate it higher if not for the noises. The shower was roomie and also very clean.

Have stayed at this location 3 times recently.The staff is very friendly and helpful.The rooms have been spotless on every visit.They offer a full breakfast including hand made breakfast burritos.5 to 10 minute visit to downtown SAN JOSE or SANTA CLARA

I am adding my review because other reviews lead me to this property, and the management reads reviews and often comments showing they care about how they are seen by the public. Great staff, at check in received a list of restaurants and locations, room was clean, upscale decorations for this kind of hotel, clean and smelled good (not scent masking good but clean good), germ free remote, and staff call after getting to room to make sure everything was satisfactory. Very impressed and details showed management that has pride in property.

We travel a lot for pleasure and have certain criteria for the perfect (for us) mid-priced hotel. This Best Western Plus met them all. Staff members were all very friendly. The room (and hotel) were very clean and bright. The bathroom was well lit, with large counter space, lots of toiletries and good shower. There were two suitcase stands, one built in and one portable (with a convenient space for it). There were lots of plug ins everywhere (two for each bed plus across the room at the desk and also on the wall)! Beds were very comfortable and air conditioning was quiet. In addition, what a great breakfast. They had a large selection of well prepared breakfast items, hot and cold - probably the best free breakfast we have encountered in many years. Great job all around. We will be looking for Best Western Plus in the future.

Good hotel option in the San Jose airport area. Friendly reception staff, clean rooms and public areas and reasonable breakfast choices (included). Also ample parking on site. Reasonable prices for the area, so a would certainly recommend for business or personal travel.

The room smelled so nice and very clean, especially the bathroom!! The beds were comfortable. The hotel was only 8 minutes away from the San Jose Center of Performing Arts and the Westfield Valley Mall which was great. The staff was very friendly. I'm so glad I booked this hotel. AWESOME PLACE!
