Best Western Plus Downtown North

This Best Western Plus is a hidden Gem in San Antonio TX! Miguel Hernandez gave me a fantastic rate and was so friendly and helpful! My room was a suite and the bed so soft. Here visiting Catholic radio station and other business and visiting many Parishes in the Archdiocese of San Antonio Texas. Rockstar Approved!!!!

Stayed 2 days 1 night.... staff was great allowed for an early check in due to weather. The hotel is in great shape for it's age and very fresh modern look to it. Breakfast was not bad. The only downside was the internet but that could have been weather related.

I actually went in Dec 2022. It was a nice hotel. Very clean and the room was spacious. Upon entering, I noticed that the sink is outside the bathroom, which was a first for me but it worked in a way. The bed was comfortable and the hotel was in a good neighborhood. I was able to take a bus to get to downtown San Antonio. It's not a far Uber ride to get to the entertainment and the river walk. The service was good and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if I ever come down in San Antonio

The hotel over all was great. We had a late flight in and we were greeted and our check in process was smooth. The room was clean. It has no carpets which is a plus! The room is pretty updated but can tell fixtures and other things need to get replaced. The. Breakfast was good and there was a good variety. It is right off the highway and close to the airport and downtown. We thought it was a great location close to other places.

The Hotel was great. Excellent staff, very clean room and lots of space. I was less than 10 minutes away from downtown and the courthouse. Being right next to the highway made it easy to get around the city. I highly recommend this place!!!

Great affordable place to stay. As with all the BW hotels I've stayed in, it was fantastic. Room was clean, breakfast was plentiful and the staff were great. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here…A+++

Hotel was ok if you are needing to be in that area. If not, keep looking. We got a suite, thinking it would be an upgrade... not sure what we paid for; had a few more square feet but not impressed. The room was pretty gross. My family wore shoes while in the room because they didn't want to touch the floor. And if they did, they washed their feet. My wife took a wash cloth and wiped down all the surfaces we used so we would feel like touching them. Sub par cleaning!!!

Where do I start? The bed was low to the ground and difficult to get up from. There was grass on the sheets when I pulled the covers back. The lights were dim. The bathroom door was not leveled. We had to force it closed and open. The internet was slow.

This would have been much higher of a rating - but after getting home from the 9 day stay, I discovered bug bites all over me. I checked and they were from BED BUGS! There was nowhere else we stayed, so I narrowed it down to the room we stayed in. I am absolutely disgusted - I would advise anyone to avoid this hotel at all costs!

Upon arrival, I spent about 30 minutes cleaning the room. Clump of hair on the floor and in the sink. Since that was so nasty, I used the Clorax wipes given to me by the front desk to clean the rest of the dark brown surfaces, bedside table, TV stand desk, etc... it was all dirty. I spoke to the front desk, she even got to see the dirt, hair etc... she was, what appeared to be appalled and told me she would let the manager know and that they would call me... no call came for 2 days, when I spoke to the front desk about this (another worker), I was told "they know' don't expect a call... really? In addition the one morning we stopped for the breakfast, my son's shoe literally got stuck to the sticky, nasty floor in the dining area. Just not a great experience.

Everyone we spoke to on staff was friendly and nice! The room and hallway was clean. The common area was pleasant. We enjoyed the breakfast (the usual fare). Hot coffee/tea all day in the common area was a great treat! Internet was good enough for a video chat on the laptop.

I'm a platnium member of Best Western rewards program and this was one of the best places I've stayed. They offer 24 hour "fresh" coffee, the omelets was a nice touch, with bacon, sausage, potatoes,and always the waffles on the breakfast counter. Great service and I highly recommend this location

Overall it was an excellent experience! Great Front desk staff that greet you with a smile. Any questions I had or concerns, they were happy to help. The lobby was super cute and clean. They have hot breakfast with to go boxes incase you're in a rush for the mornings. Clean sheets, towels, furniture, carpet, etc. I was very impressed with my stay, definitely felt like home. I highly recommend this location for easy access to downtown, the river walk and so much more! Thank you for having me, I'll definitely be coming back for another stay.

This was such a pleasant experience for us. The hotel was really nice, very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and we will definitely be back next time we need a room. I highly recommend staying here and I will be suggesting it to anyone I know looking for a good hotel in San Antonio. Most importantly was the cleanliness, it was so nice staying in a hotel that isn't all gross and dirty. 10/10 highly recommend staying here.

Excellent and friendly staff. Free parking, nice room with comfortable bed and amenities. Breakfast was good and we were quickly on our way to enjoy the city of San Antonio, the Alamo and the River Walk.

We were in San Antonio and needed to be near Fort Sam Houston. Our room was clean. We had a bedroom suite. The place was safe and secure. Neighborhoods around the fort are rather sketchy. The other places to stay in the area do not appear to be of the same quality. The nice part about San Antonio is everything is at most 15 minutes away. Although we did not need it the swimming pool was out of order. Breakfast was good though and reminded us of pre-covid. The staff was friendly. Might be something better in the area but this suited our needs.

The hotel itself was clean and staff was friendly. Close to the base which was my purpose for the stay. Only issue I had was when I arrived at my room after check in the room was currently under maintenance. Not anything big it was just awkward. A lot of homeless people across the street but security kept a look after the property all night. Gas stations and two places to eat are walking distance so that was great for me. Overall there was no issues once I was actually settled into my room. A plus for me was at only one point there were kids running around inside, I didn't see or hear them but when I was walking passed the front desk I saw them telling the kids they saw them on camera and to please stop. More hotels need to address this so I appreciated that even though I didn't know it was going on simply because I have had terrible times other places due to kids running around. If I need to return to the base I will consider this hotel again.

Peeps, This Best Western is CLEAN, SAFE with Free Parking!! You pay $40 to 50 a night anywhere else, and they have patrolled security. Free hot breakfast! Coffee Bar! And the Staff is always smiling. Worth It.

We stayed here to attend a concert. Our stay was excellent, everyone from staff was friendly and amazing. The property was well-lit and we always felt safe. The location proximity to the ATT Center was perfect. We will definitely consider this hotel for future stays in San Antonio!

The employees were very friendly and the room was very clean. But they advertised a full breakfast included in the stay. They had egg omelet and bacon or sausage but no waffles, They had individual cereal boxes but no milk. Since I like milk with my breakfast, I went next door to the gas station/store and bought my own. I don't see anybody else having supply problems with waffle mix and milk.

Clean with friendly staff and decent breakfast. Met my expectations in most criteria. Places where it good improve. Did not have enough towels or shampoo/conditioner. Shower drain was clogged with hair. Breakfast line was long/time consuming have option where you can help yourself to cereal or toast.

I came to town to see my son at Fort Sam Houston. Front desk attendant was super friendly, nice and efficient. I was able to check into my room early. I will say the surrounding area isn't great, but it's not terrible. They do have a full time parking attendant in the parking lot, which made me feel better about leaving my brand new car out. I was able to use the gym and all the equipment worked well. Breakfast was hot and tasty. Every single staff person I came in contact with was pleasant and nice. I would stay here again.

The hotel was fine - not great - the area didn't feel very safe - the room's carpet was ripped (both rooms) we had to move as the fridge didn't work, the bathroom door didn't close and there was no shower curtain liner - I told the staff and gave them my cell number - saying I would be gone all day - returned and they said they had addressed the items - only the bathroom door had been repaired so they moved us The treadmill's safety clip was broken and never repaired The closet was not able to be used - the hangers didn't fit in the closet and the closet was maybe 18"

Good hotel was clean and looked sanitized. Good breakfast but not to many choices. Coffee was available all the time. Nice location. Clerk at front office was very nice and friendly. Check out was easy too

Staying here right now and Covid protocols have gone out the window. People are cramming into elevators in large number. Sign says four people but we saw as much as seven. Except for the front desk person, none of the staff are in masks. We even saw 2 get in the elevator without them. Luckily we're only here 2 nights and the positive side is we're getting some good exercise taking the stairs! Room is relatively clean but don't ask for extra of anything because you can't get it. Location is great but won't be back.

Spent the night in San Antonio to be with my mother who lives in a nearby assisted home which is not welcoming guests due to covid. Checked in early after our lunch together and was so pleased with the layout and condition that Mom spent the night with me. Our room was perfectly handicap accessible and the closest to the front entrance which just happened to be perfect. The free breakfast was extensive, healthy options and delicious. The front desk attendant even printed out a map for us to the nearest Church.

I have had several work meetings downtown SA recently. I use this Best western Plus as it is very close to downtown but is easier to access then downtown hotels. The staff is friendly and are clean and comfortable. The area though busy is quiet. And you don't have to pay for parking. I will stay here again.

We had what we thought would've been a good sleep but when we checked out that same day I noticed some itchiness on my arm. I had slept belly down and one of my arms was inside the pillow. Thank God my family wasn't bit. So disappointed in the cleanliness of the rooms. I had read some reviews and thought it was a good deal. Guess it was too good to be true Now I'm at the doctor because the itchiness has lasted a week and the selling has gotten way worse.

The king size room was a decent to medium sized room. Sink was outside the restroom which is a weird design choice. Internet went offline quite a bit. Breakfast was decent, food was prepared, Eggs tasted simple, potatoes were over seasoned. The fridge in our room broke and wouldn't work properly, no one came to fix it or replace it when we called about it. On our last day. The elevator broke and we had to walk 5 flights of stairs with our luggage's.

Was in San Antonio for a football game. We try to book Best Westerns most of the time. This hotel had the best customer service I have experienced thus far. Caila was amazing! The only issue was lack of open eating establishments late night.

This is the second time this year that I've stayed there. My friends and I wanted to go down for a friends bridal shower and the location was perfect. The staff was so helpful and sweet to us. We never needed to ask for fresh towels, and our room was always clean when we returned. 10/10 for us. We will definitely be back for the thanksgiving Holiday.

Location was perfect for the market square and loved the easy access to restaurants and convenient stores that are walking distance. Huge room....bathroom was smaller than usual but was a good trade for the larger sleeping space.

Hotel itself is in a great location, beautiful inside and out, wonderful staff. And the beds are amazing!!! Slept like a baby couldn't ask for a better room honestly if your going to stay in the area look no further

Near to JBSA Fort Sam Houston. Good staff and great rates. Room service 80% of 20 days. It was a pleasant surprise to have room service at all. I moved from a hotel downtown near the riverwalk for many reasons: Valet was an expensive inconvenience, breakfast was poor, and the commute was long. I moved to this hotel and was very glad I did.

My friends and I stayed at this hotel for my birthday weekend. The staff was so sweet, helpful and knowledgeable about places in the area that we could visit. Our room was really clean and we always had fresh towels. It was a great experience. I'll definitely be staying there again when we visit San Antonio.

Would not recommend, never have I ever had a problem with Best Western until now. Left my hotel room with room lights turned off when I returned after a night out all the room lights were turned on and our things were moved around. I complained to supervisor and he promised to handle the situation and review tapes and let me know who wa sin our room and so far he has failed to keep his promise and has ignored the whole situation. I have kids and it definitely didn't feel safe to have them here.

I booked a room for my son and daughter-in-law and their dog. It said pet friendly when I booked. Turns out they don't update their website very often and are no longer pet friendly. Their place flooded during the cold spell and were sent away with no refund because they don't take responsibility for their false advertising!

Everything was perfect, they upgraded me to Suite. Good location and Nice property. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to San antonio. I didn't get a chance to go for breakfast as I overslept.

Super clean hotel. I was extremely satisfied. The staff was really nice and helpful. I really like the area because it was right off the highway and easy to get to. Very comfortable as well. They definitely get a 2 thumbs up from me.

I stayed at this hotel for a couple of weeks, and I'm extremely glad I chose this place. The staff really took care of me and made sure my stay was the best it could've been. They were very attentive, respectful, courteous, and diligent. The rooms were cleaned very well and the cleaning staff never hesitated to assist me when I wanted something different. I would absolutely stay here again. Very hospitable and worth the price paid.

The place is clean and conveniently located next to highways and restaurants. The room was clean and everything was operational. Here during the pandemic so breakfast is just a brown bag with granola bars, danish and juice. I expected as much so no complaints there. But the wifi? T-R-A-S-H. Incredibly spotty. Constantly had to reconnect with cell and laptop.

We booked this room online in the lobby. Derek was very helpful in this last minute reservation. Had a room booked at a different hotel that we walked away from so we needed 2 rooms ASAP. Hotel and room were clean and quiet. Thank you for our stay. Staff was very nice and helpful with directions and dinner ideas.

Good location central to everything in San Antonio. The room was large with a king bed, a sitting area and the second bed is in a room that can be closed off for privacy, perfect for traveling with our adult daughter. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

All was lovely ... We requested a first floor room and were right around the corner from the lobby BUT the noise was not even noticeable. Staff was friendly (breakfast chef took good care to be sure food was hot and fresh !) The "smoking" patio was wonderful for my husband to puff on his pipe and check the internet !!! Wish the pool was inside as was a little cool for swimming outside ! Great stay at a reasonable price...

Great place to stay with children. Good food & 24 hour fresh coffee!! Friendly and accommodating. Good beds and quiet. They let us open the dining area for snacks and coffee in the afternoon and always had fresh fruit available on the tables. We will definitely stay there again.

I was nervous about getting a hotel last minute because of stock show & rodeo but was so happy i chose this 1.the location was close to everything we visited..the price was very reasonable& overall awesome hotel experience..we will definitely be coming back to this hotel on our next visit.

Our stay here was great, nothing to complain about, clean hotel in and out, friendly staff,breakfast buffet was just as good, good coffee too, parking was not an issue, room was clean and beds were comfortable,minutes away from the Alamo and Riverwalk, will stay again..

Checked in after leaving another hotel due to a bad experience. Front desk clerk, Chris, was the kindest man to us and checked us in without hassle. Room was very clean with comfy beds and plenty of fluffy pillows. Didn't use the room service but it was nice to know we could order sushi if we wanted to. Would definitely stay again.

I arrived at this hotel location and it took more time then I wanted it to take with the reservation and checking in this hotel. I couldn't get my online booking to go through and when I did the front desk said I made reservations at the wrong location. I had to work on cancelling the wrong reservation and I found out that I'm getting my money back after 10 business days. WOW!!!! It took all in all about one hour to check in and get my room and get settled into this location. But all in all my stay was nice and the only thing I didn't like was the channels of TV programs there isn't that many and the choices was not good to say the least for the amount of money they charge to stay here I should have been able to watch at least a couple of movies on one of the stations. The breakfast was AMAZING!! If I ever need to stay in this area I will no doubt choose this hotel.

Quick and easy. Needs more lights in parking lot. But other thank that I love the experience. Booked a couple hours before hand while on the road. They had my room ready to go without any problems. Recommend 10/10

My wife and i had a very pleasant stay at this facility. the staff was very friendly and they have an excellent breakfast. Very nice room and a good location. they room was large and you didn't have to turn sideways to be able to get between the bed and the dresser.

The location was great for getting around San Antonio, just a couple miles from downtown and next to Ft. Sam. Our rooms were updated and very clean. The water pressure was amazing in the shower. The breakfast is your standard fare, to include fresh fruit. Only complaint is that the nice patio is evidently also a smoking area. I could not enjoy it while others smoked, to include the breakfast staff on break.

The room was absolutely disgusting. The staff was rude.He would not listen to anything I had to say other than this is what I reserved. I will never be back the worst thing I have EVER spent my money on. I cant fathom even renting out a place as such.

Clean rooms. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The free breakfast included a wide variety of options. Located within ten minutes of each of the venues we visited, Fort Sam Houston, AT&T center and the River Walk.

Came alone for my child's state band competition. Great location off of 35. Friendly staff, clean room with everything I need and cold AC. Love the free coffee! The BBQ restaurant across the street is a few steps away and delicious. Can't beat the hotel for the price!

I was very pleased what the entire experience. The staff were quick pleasant and efficient. Check in was a breeze as well as check out. The room was actually very comfortable bed. Location wise seemed quite central to wherever I needed to go. I would I would happily stay there again

I was staying in the area for a business trip. The location is just off the interstate highway, but had no noise or other distractions. The front desk staff member was warm and welcoming. She checked me in efficiently and was able to assist with several requests. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a nice patio area and outdoor pool. The breakfast had a number of hot options. I would stay here again for business purposes.

Just horrendous customer service. We booked a room online at this hotel with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed but when my family arrived they were put into a room with only 1 king bed. When I contacted the hotel about this problem they placed the blame on me, saying that it was my fault for not booking directly through them & using a 3rd party site. Never mind that they're the ones who contract through the site in the 1st place! It's clear that they didn't want to let us know in advance that they didn't have any rooms with 2 queens available because they knew that we would choose a different hotel. It's a clear example of bait and switch. To top things off, the room had absolutely no linens or pillows available for the sofa bed so my son ended up just sleeping on the sofa instead of pulling it out into a bed. When I contacted them they didn't even apologize for any of this. They blamed the 3rd party site they contract with and blamed me for the booking, but took absolutely no responsibility for any of this. I'll never use another Best Western again.

Good location. Close toFort Sam Houston. and downtown. Well maintained hotel. Will hear minor freeway noise at night. Nice pool and patio. Good breakfast. Plenty of restaurants in the area within walking distance.

Check in was very quick with friendly staff, told if required anything else just ask. Room was large & fresh, had a fridge a microwave as well as coffee making machine. Good supply of towels & toiletries. Air conditioning in room to keep cool, room cleaned each day by housekeeping. Breakfast was help yourself each day traditional American fare cereals, muffins waffles etc. With cooked items rotated daily. Help yourself to tea & coffee in the breakfast room throughout. Also fresh lemonade in the evening in the lobby. The location is just right for use, with public transport near by & cheap so you could give up the car a break.

Great place to stay if you are wanting to be close to Fort Sam Houston we had a very good experience there. My son graduated AIT and got married while we were there. The lady at the desk was wonderful. Everyone was so friendly.

I planned a weekend get away mid august with my girlfriend. Upon lots of research, I was the Best Western had lots of great reviews. Usually with hotels, as long as its clean, central and decently kept then I have no problems. I did not want to pay for parking in the San Antonio River walk so decided this hotel would be sufficient as it was less than 8 minutes from the downtown area. When arriving at the hotel, the hotel was in a slightly less than ideal area. There were homeless people walking up and down the street the hotel is on, which left a bad feeling of the security of my car on the property. At the end of the day, this is not something the hotel can prevent so it's okay. We check in, the staff was very nice upon arrival. We even asked the front desk lady if we could extend our stay as we would be staying a third night. She assured us that the hotel could accommodate that request. Luckily we did not extend our stay right then and there. We get up to the room, open the door, and boom the restroom sink is right next to the door. A little odd but nothing to fret about. We lay our bags down, take off our shoes and begin to unpack our bags as we will be there for two days. The room had a fridge which is a nice touch, but the closet was basically obsolete. Number one it was small which isn't the real problem, the problem was that the doors on the closet, prevented you from barely accessing anything inside. The opening was just big enough to slide your arm through sideways. At this point, still no problem. I take my shoes off and begin to walk around the room, and notice that something doesn't feel right. The floors in the room were literally sticky. It felt as though the carpet at some point became damp and moist and people with dirty shoes walked over it while still being damp and wet. I went to wash my feet and noticed that the bottoms of my feet were already black after walking around the room for 15 minutes. Me and my girlfriend had to literally walk around the hotel room with our sandals to prevent such inconvenience. This was the last straw for me. Because I had already paid for two nights, I knew nothing could be done. The first night I laid in bed and researched any nearby hotels with higher ratings. Let's just say we found another hotel and that stay was such a 180 compared to this one. I won't be back to this hotel and would advise others to do so as well. There are plenty of other locations within the same price range for a better experience. Like I said, this place looks like it has been remodeled and has so much potential but lack of execution on standards in my opinion. Do better Best Western, do better.

The Best Western Plus Downtown North is conveniently located just off I-35 - you can drive to the road in less than a minute. Plentiful parking, even for larger vehicles (there were quite a few when I left in the morning). Check-in was relatively quick and painless, although there was a bit of a mix-up with keys for a bit (my original room had a problem, so even before I got that key they gave me another room but someone forgot to tell someone else's about the switch - I was sitting in my room when the door was suddenly opened by another guest who just checked in!). But beyond that, the room was pleasant - plenty of desk space, a large comfortable bed, flat screen tv, lots of lights, and a good bathroom with shower/bath. Oddly, the bathroom sink is located not in the bathroom but right next to the hall door, which seemed a bit awkward. Room was also very clean - I didn't notice anything out of the way. Amenities included a microwave, mini-fridge, coffeemaker, and plenty of towels. Coffee is also available in the lobby. There's a chain bbq restaurant right across the street, along with a fast-food restaurant and gas stations. Finally, although the motel seemed busy, based on the number of vehicles outside, my floor (fifth) was surprisingly quiet all day. Definitely worth looking into for a short or long stay!

Great location near all the main attractions! Clean rooms and comfortable pillows, Breakfast was awesome kids really enjoyed the cinnamon waffles! And having coffee 24/7 was a big bonus for me! Staff was really nice and attentive.

The room was very nice and clean and spacious with a sofa. It is on IH 35 south in a location accessible to most areas. Egg lacked flavor but there are other items to choose from on the breakfast menu.

Enjoyed my stay here room was had a comfortable bed, with plenty of room. Breakfast had great options with being fresh and clean. Fitness Center was one of the better ones I have seen or used in a hotel due to having free weights, cardio machines, and cable machine. The location of this hotel is excellent close to Downtown and Ft Sam Houston.

Loved the service! Super Clean Rooms & the friendliest staff ever! I will definitely be staying again & recommending this stay to my friends and family! House Keeping was super nice & did a fantastic job.

We arrived very late on Friday night. Chris at the desk was very courteous and friendly. The room itself was very humid and smelled of mildew. We lowered the a/c temperature and that helped a little. The carpet felt damp. The shower head position could not be moved, and it was pointed straight at the opposite end of the shower, so we had to wrap the shower curtain and liner all the way around to keep water from spraying everywhere. We did see a few bugs in our room. The breakfast was acceptable. Plenty of parking. Overall I'd say this stay was okay, nothing exceptional, but then again we didn't spend much time in the hotel except to sleep and clean up.

This is a fairly new hotel. The exterior and amenities were appealing upon arrival. However, we were awaken at 4am with a huge waterbug/roach crawling on our head. After turning on the lights we found 3 more on the walls. Not sure if this was a problem because we were on the 1st floor or what. The front desk attendant said they have problems because of the trees outside. This was a huge inconvenience. We did not plan on driving back to Dallas at 5am! Just beware, bugs, huge bugs, are part of the amenities here.

Overall the hotel was nice, but my room was lacking in cleanliness. There was a wadded up sock behind the bathroom door. It appeared to me that whoever cleaned the room didn't sweep the bathroom very well if at all because there was still dirt along the baseboards with the dirty sock which also made me wonder what else wasn't really clean in the room. The front desk was very nice and said they would try to get someone from housekeeping to take care of it, however, no one ever came and the front desk never called to tell us that no one was going to take care of it. When I checked out, I mentioned it to the lady at the desk and her only response was to ask what room it was again. No acknowledgement and no apology. That's unacceptable to me.

The hotel is easy to get to just off the I35 and is close to San Antonio centre. There are plenty of free parking spaces at the hotel. The room was very good. Modern interior, comfortable beds, good TV and a nice modern bathroom. The room included a fridge, microwave and the USB charging points next the bed were useful. There are no laundry facilities but there is a cheap coin laundry close to the hotel. Breakfast was good with the usual choice of cereals, hot food, fruit, etc. We were there during Memorial Day when the hotel was full so the dining area was somewhat crowded, but after this weekend it was ok. Complimentary coffee at reception was a must when you got back to the hotel. A very good hotel which I would certainly recommend.

It is a great location (not too close, not too far) from the Riverwalk. It is family friendly (kids stay free) thus, amazing value! Room was mostly clean. Our socks felt, and looked, dirty from walking around in the carpet. We also found chips in the bathroom. However, breakfast was amazing! The staff at breakfast could have been more welcoming. They never smiled or said good morning but the food was great. I could see the fire station right outside the window, but even during a major thunderstorm, no sirens bothered us. Overall, it was a great stay and we plan to return!

The staff went out of their way to help us through a horrible situation we found ourselves in while in SA. The rooms were clean and cold-- perfect for Texas summer. Breakfast was hot and plentiful and we absolutely love the patio area around the pool

I would have given this 5 stars, if not for an unfortunate incident the day before we left. The location was great--just a couple of minutes to downtown, all the museums and most of the attractions, yet in a relatively quiet area. It also had free parking and very good WiFi. We stayed for a week and generally couldn't be happier, most of the staff was very friendly and good at their jobs. Everything seemed clean, but the carpet was due for a deep cleaning. Walking around in socks, you could tell how much dirt you picked up. The included breakfast had an excellent selection and was kept well stocked . Our room had a refrig., microwave and coffee maker. The sink/vanity was large and outside the bathroom, which we really like. On the day before we checked out, we left for a day of sightseeing around 10 a.m. When we returned to our room at 4:30, it had not been made up. I spoke to the older gentleman at the front desk. He told me the housekeepers were still working. We just wanted to get comfortable and relax after a busy day, but had to wait for housekeeping to show up. At about 5:20, my wife went to the front desk and was told they would get to it. When we were leaving for dinner at 5:50, the housekeepers were packing up to go home. When we said our room hadn't been made up, they quickly went and did it while we were at dinner. Obviously the man at the desk did not communicate our problem to anyone else.

The room was clean and roomy, but elevator smelled like garbage and the hallway and room smelled like dirty feet. The rooms were so damp I even felt damp under the covers. This hotel needs a dehumidifier.

From the minute I walked in I had the best experience ever. The lady who checked us in which is the night audit was very quick and very caring. I love the royal blue colors inside the room very very excellent. Your rooms are just lovely keep up the good work guys

I was hesitant but so very glad I booked, y'all are amazing and the hotel was clean and nice and comfy...walls are thin but that's okay because everything else was amazing! Thanks for being great, please don't change!

We stayed two nights in the suite and were very happy with the size of the suite, the amenities and the location. We were just 3 miles from the Alamo and Riverwalk. Our room was clean and the bed reasonably comfortable. The breakfast offered a wide variety of breakfast food and was well presented. I did not care for the bathroom sink being just inside the door. It made it difficult for someone standing at the sink and someone else needing to get through the door. It was somewhat noisy on the west side where we stayed due to construction trucks driving on the road right outside our room. Overall, we we happy with our stay and would stay there again.

Following a wonderful stay at a BW+ hotel in Laredo we decided to book this hotel on that back of that. Big mistake! We looked at the reviews for this hotel on Tripadvisor and they were pretty good. Dont know what kind of people stay here and give it good reviews but they must have low standards in terms of cleanliness. First of all it took a lifetime to check in. There was a big queue and only one poor receptionist, Valarie, to cope with it. Our rooms were nicely decorated with a modern look but the cleanliness was a disgrace. We had to set to and clean all the surfaces with anti bac wipes as there were no spare rooms in the hotel. Fortunately we didnt notice the worst of the dirt until the next morning when we were about to leave. 'Marks' & 'dirt' around the outide of the toilet bowl. Yuck!! If we had noticed that when we checked in we would have walked for sure. Have to say, however, the bedding was clean. Give this one a miss.

All of the staff we met made us welcome and nothing was a problem for them breakfast was very good we enjoyed the coffe which was always available we also joined the loyalty club which confirms our intention to visit other hotels

Stayed at Best Western Plus Downtown North for two nights. The hotel is clean overall. In our room the bathroom is right inside the door and not enough towels. Decent breakfast with lots of options. There are other places comparable to this that might offer more.

The hotel and staff are very nice. It's the perfect location if you're attending a Spurs game and it's close to downtown, Riverwalk, Brackenridge Park, Witte Museum, Zoo. and more. Really great location!

Stayed here during livestock show. It is close and convenient to the San Antonio Livestock Show. Easy to get in and out from I35. Hotel was clean and room was spacious. I would recommend this hotel for anyone attending events at ATT Center.

The hotel is nice and convenient to AT&T Center. Comfortable beds, clean, spacious. Morning breakfast was inviting with lots of your regular options. Biggest complaint, the water was not very hot. I would stay here again.

We are somewhat local, live about 30-35 minutes from this hotel, but had an event in downtown San Antonio that we needed to be at early in the morning, so it was easier to stay close to downtown. The hotel wasn't IN downtown, but very close, a 5 minute Uber drive to downtown. We had a 2 Queen Suite, on the 5th floor. It was a VERY spacious room. It was clean, nicely decorated, perfect for our 1 night stay. The area around the hotel isn't the greatest area of San Antonio, but weren't there to be in that part of town, but the hotel was VERY nice. And I had no qualms of staying there whatsoever. It was convenient to I-35, downtown San Antonio and convenient to other areas that you may need to go in San Antonio. I would definitely stay there again!

I travel to San Antonio on business occasionally and I love this hotel. Great location but not noisy. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you don't need to be downtown or at the River Walk, this is the best.

We've been traveling across the country from Washington state to Florida. We've stayed at hotels, Marriott and vest wesyerns all along the way. This was our worst experience with service. We arrived and Chris at the front desk was great. After that the quality of front desk concern and care for clients went down hill. It was disappointing.

My road trip was made tolerable upon arrival; From parking convience, impressive entrance to overall cleanliness of room and the amenities. On duty security was an added bonus. convient location to downtown.

This location is an easy drive to Lackland Air Force Base. It is close to the Pearl and many other neighborhoods so getting to additional attractions was easy. Nice staff,comfortable room. Super slow elevator,bummer.

Excellent Hotel! Clean, great service, wonderful breakfast, great wifi, nice area. The room was quiet and the bed was really comfortable. Having a small fridge and microwave were great....as well as a coffee makes. Also, the small snack store was really convenient. Great experience.

The room was spacious, nice and clean. The beds were so comfy..best sleep I've had in a while. Great location if you don't want to deal with the downtown craziness. Only thing I disliked was the breakfast area..it was so over crowed, hard to get a seat. Other than that it was a good place to stay.

Had a great stay at this Best Western Plus hotel. It is fairly close to downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk. Very easy to drive to those attractions. It's very comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend it.

Great service,clean rooms,good pricing. Chris from front desk went and got us some milk at 2am for our 2year old and the housekeepers would ask if we needed anything when we would see them in the hallway.

5 min drive to Riverwalk. Great location. Friendly staff. This is the 2nd time we've stayed here and it won't be the last. We have family in San Antonio and the hotel is ideally located between the Riverwalk and where our family lives.

The hotel's outside appearnce is nice, but the room was dirty (especially the carpet) and the elevator was in surprisingly bad shape - for example the control panel was loose. The breakfast was poor (very dry, probably powdered scrambled eggs three days in a row).

Made a quick 3 day weekend trip to San Antonio. Wanted to be near but not in downtown/tourist area w/easy fwy access and at a reasonable price. Found the B W+ hotel location as a good venue. Maybe not the best area but just off the fwy, near eating places and with good access to the few places I wanted to get to. Staff was courteous, the breakfast was great and met other guests who had good experiences there too.

We really enjoyed our stay here at BW, it was close to everything! The hotel atmosphere was great, staff was very welcoming, breakfast was great. Our room was so cozy and clean! Will definitely stay here again!!

We enjoyed our two day stay at this Best Western. The room was a good size with a refrigerator and microwave. Complimentary breakfast was served until 9:30, eggs,potatoes, bacon, sausages, waffles, juice, packaged oatmeal, toast. It was a short drive to the Alamo, a quick right on the freeway was a little dicey. We had a reasonable price and a bathtub. The staff was friendly and helpful. Wi-Fi and parking included.

I am a Best Western Rewards customer and I this us the second time I choose to stay at this location and it does not disappoint. We stayed in king suite and the rate was excellent, if you are not taking advantage of rewards program you really should.

Closed to Downtown but not in the best neighborhood, that will be the best that I can say about this hotel. Make sure you check your bill before you leave and there is nothing extra, otherwise you will have a hard time to get your money back. The only person that can approve / review and decide if a transaction is valid or not is the property Manager Mr. Dave Patel and after a month and no less than 10 calls, I have not been able to talk to him neither he has respond to any of my voice messages. I arrived on Friday June 9th and check-out on June 10th early morning. My son was also staying in same hotel and needed to extend his room for two more nights. I guess whoever extended his room decided also to extend mine, even though I was already checked-out. I only realized of the extra charge, the day that my son checked-out, thanks to my bank notifications, otherwise I would not note until I had to pay my card. Since that date, I have been calling the hotel and talking with multiple people in the hotel reception. I must to say, about one of the front desk persons, Gina was really helpful and she looked into my room records, even checked with housekeeping if that room was used during the 3 nights charged, passed the information to the Manager and told me that he would reviewed and called me back during the day. He did not and I called again, this time I was informed that everything was clear and I would receive the credit for the extra nights, but after a week, the credit was not applied. After a month since I checked-in the credit has not been posted. So I decided to call AGAIN, I talked to Gina and she confirmed that Mr. Patel reviewed all the paper work, last week, and he was going to apply the credit back to my account. I can only say that Mr. Dave Patel does not know the meaning of Customer Service and guest satisfaction is not his concern. He not only has not credited the money back to my card but has been incapable to return any of my voice messages, but I should not be surprised, based in other reviews he is NEVER available to talk with a guess with an issue.

Worst hotel experience I have ever had! I was due to check in at 3 PM, and wasn't checking in until 4:30 because the rooms were dirty. I kept trying to call the front desk and my calls weren't ever answered. The maintenance man was drinking a beer on the job, big full trash bags on the outside of the trash can, and the front desk staff ladies were too busy taking care of their kids instead of the guest.

Very clean and updated property. They let us use their meeting room at a fantastic rate. The best part of my experience, the staff. They were all so friendly, and attentive. They made sure we had everything we needed for training.

Would be nice to converse with room service. No one spoke English. And service had to be ask front desk after 5:00 p.m. the first 4 days. The 5th day we just said the heck with it. Also the breakfast gets pretty old having the exact same breakfast items 5 days in ad row.

The room was very large, clean, and cool. The staff were professional, friendly and courteous. I liked that the room had a couch and a table. There were plenty of towels and toiletries. The breakfast was full and good, but could've offered some alternatives. Overall, it was like being in a studio apartment which was very nice.

This hotel is easy to spot from the road. It's adjacent to gas stations and restaurants, so it's great for people needing to stop by for a night. It's small but not cramped, clean, and comfortable. The bed is firm enough not to aggravate back pain. You will hear it if someone is being loud in the hallway; otherwise, it is dead quiet! All the staff are polite and attend to requests quickly. Breakfast is average--waffles, eggs, sausage and bacon, fruit, etc. but no complaints there.

The hotel is clean and the beds aren't too bad! It's an older neighborhood, but it's only a $7 Uber to the Riverwalk. The morning guy could turn the TVs in The breakfast and lobby down. He had GMA in one and Fox News in the other. It was like listening to 2 songs at the same time, one in each ear.

Each time I visit a BW hotel I seem to come away happy with the experience. Sure, it is nothing fancy, but they do the basics well and that is all that can be asked of them. Seems to be a modern hotel, was clean and breakfast has real food, like Kelloggs Frosites. Situated close to i35 but not next to it meant the room we had was quiet and a good sleep was had. No complaints here!

Our hotel was close to downtown without actually staying downtown. The rooms were large and the hotel smellled nice and clean. Excellent staff. I left a shoe behind and realizing I was missing it two days later the staff was still able to locate it and I got to retrieve it.

Stayed here for a wedding I was in town for. Everything was wonderful. Front desk clerks, housekeeping were all very friendly and helpful. Getting fresh towels when need was a breeze and emptied the trash for me when I asked. Front desk was great at giving information on the area and places to eat and get food delivered from. Asked for cork screw and they had one on hand, asked to borrow scissors and they gladly obliged. Would stay here again if in the area.

Me and my family had great stay at this hotel. Clean, spacious and comfortable rooms. Staff was friendly too. I would recommend this place and will stay here again whenever I gonna be visiting San Antonio.

Rooms were clean, utilities we had absolutely no problem with, the breakfast offered was great (loved the Texas shaped waffles), and customer service both the front desk and housekeeping was exceptional.

The rooms are updated. For the most part the rooms are well maintained. It is located in an unsafe part of town. During my week say they skipped room service twice, or would have skipped it the send time in a row if I had not asked several times, and after that service wasn't completed until 5:30 PM.

Booked a room because it had decent reviews, stars and looked very clean and nice. Got there and i had blood on my side of the bed, and i put my foot in it. Go down to the front desk, which had very lovely overnight staff, and they gave us a new room. The new room had a dirty tub and old popcorn on the nightstand and even in the lamp shade. We dealt with it since we were moved already, but the next day they did repairs in our room without us knowing and when we got back for the day the staff told us that there may be an odor in the room and on the floor. The smell was god awful, and it was so strong i got an instant headache. We went downstairs and they moved us like they had told us. The new room was fine, sticky floor but that's it. We asked to speak with a manager from day one and he was either not there, coming in late, or he left right before we got back or came in right after we left. He wouldn't ever call us, or speak with us the whole time we were there and we had to bother the front desk girls so much because he'd only leave them notes. He apparently offered a 50% off which was fine, but didn't refund it to the card. Once we left we tried getting in contact but still he wouldn't call or email us back. We had to contact customer service and Expedia to try to get this resolved. We talked to 4 reps from best western and 2 from Expedia and today we finally were able to get the refund. The manager offered the 50% off and it was noted with best western customer service but when the Expedia rep called to authorize the refund, the manager said 20% was the most he'd refund. I was on the phone dealing with this for 3 hours and FINALLY, after a month we have gotten this resolved. We were and are annoyed that in our 4 day stay, we had 3 rooms, were downgraded from a king to two queens, and the manager refused to contact us and make this better. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to ANYONE after the experience we had, it just isn't worth your vacation time or relaxation away from home time to deal with the BS.

This hotel is very nice, it is centrally located and the rate was decent, much less than the downtown hotels. The breakfast in the morning was a bonus with good hot food available in addition to cereal and pastries for the kids. This hotel is fairly quiet and clean. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars was to me the sheets were scratchy and for it to be remodeled and new, it needed softer sheets. Otherwise, the staff is super nice and accomodating.

Very accessible to Highway 35, the River Walk, Fort Sam Houston, the Pearl district and the arts/museum area. We stayed here for access, including Lackland AFB military graduation., which, for US, was perfect. No traffic, no delays and less than 15 minutes away from base. A perfect central location. The door to the initial room we were given was open when we checked in! The room stunk like cigarettes and it was very small. The lobby gave us an upgrade to a suite, which was very spacious....so an A+ for making it right. We also returned one day to a horrible smell on our floor (bathtub work), so the front desk my bed me back down a floor but kept my upgrade. Bonus. Check in was fast. Room sound was decent, especially once asleep. The room was very clean. Coffee in the room. The beds were comfy. Temperature was ok. Breakfast bar OK, but we actually got spoken harsh to and told to leave the buffet area for eating our yogurt while the rest of our family was finishing getting their breakfast (a first at a hotel breakfast buffet....ever!). The not so greats included the cigarette smell (non-smoking hotel), having to be rearranged, no tub drain, ONE wash rag in two rooms but 5 in one room. Housekeeping was very inconsistent and poor in terms of actually cleaning the rooms. I have never experienced such poor housekeeping in terms of simple room refresh (bed, trash, towels). Two nights, they never even showed. The ‘safety' factor of the hotel was very low, especially for single traveling females and children. Scary parking lot and lots of transients. The overall staff service level was a bit on the highly uneducated and unaware side. They weren't rude, but they weren't very professional in their speak, interactions or even look. Housekeeping talking loud dramatic personal calls in the elevator, front desk staff having their children run around and play on the hotel computer....it was less than professional. We had even lost an important item in all of the MOVES of the rooms and housekeeping called us and actually said “we found your (item) but you said it was in room (X) but you left it in room (Y) in a bunch a clothes so it wasn't where you said!” I found that to be comically in alignment with the lack of professional standards of the experience. Excellent access hotel, but not for those who value safety or professionalism. A great place for contract workers!

Usually stay at a different hotel when we come to SA, but decided to try something new. The Hotel is nice and looks new, everything's modern, the room was really nice! Way more than I honestly expected. Beds were super comfy! And it was really quite. Staff was friendly.

This hotel has plenty of "pluses" - it is clean and conveniently located. It is much cheaper than the downtown San Antonio hotels and is less than 10 minutes away from all the major sites. There is an excellent Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant half a block away, on the same side of the street. The downside is that the internet crashes a LOT. Also - a tiny closet and no safe. Breakfast was the exact same each of the 3 mornings we had it. Very nice personnel working here.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and quality of the hotel for the price range. I would definitely stay here again. The negatives were the area surroundings are rough and the local food choices were fair at best. The beds were surprisingly comfortable.

New Hotel 2017.. Was very clean, smelled great. Food Items for breakfast were the normal fare. 5 Mins from ATT Center..We will come back for all of our ATT Center Stays from this point on. Higly Recommended, Very well priced.

Best location for visiting Fort Sam Houston. Dining options steps from the door. 5* breakfast included. Very nicely appointed rooms. Very helpful knowledgeable front desk persons. If they didn't know the answer - they looked it up. Even made up some maps for locations we asked for.

This Best Western is located only 12 minutes from downtown SA and 10 minutes from the At&t center. Our stay was quite nice in that the hotel and guest room were quite clean and bed was very comfy. Great value for the amenities that are included, i.e., the internet connection, free parking, outdoor pool, exercise room and the breakfast bar. We would certainly stay there again.

Great location close to everything. Super clean, nice staff, and easy to find. Stay there every time I go to San Antonio. Has everything I need for a business or pleasure trip. Close to downtown and close to airport.

The Best Western Plus is located just off I-35, north of downtown San Antonio and just a few minutes from Fort Sam. Overall, a comfortable bed, clean room, basic amenities and complimentary breakfast. Plenty of parking. Free Wi-Fi, but connection was erratic. A few fast food restaurants nearby.

This is a nice hotel that is a perfect location if you need to be close to Fort Sam Houston. The staff was friendly and helpful. .Hotel was clean. CVS/Walgreens nearby. Easy to get to the downtown area.

Very nice staff. Very nice, modern hotel about 15 minutes drive from downtown. Lovely room with TV, fridge, bathroom and good WIFI. There are a couple of restaurants and shops near hotel. On site parking.

I stay on this hotel due to my daughters going to a concert at the AT&T center, the rooms are clean, good customer service,the only bad thing was they on the rooms i stayed the toilet was not working i let reception known and they right away change me to a suit on the same floor. That was really nice. Their is restaurants around this hotel. The breakfast was good except for the grayve was really salty ( not sure if just this day or all the time). But overall nice stay.

This hotel is located in a residential area just off the interstate, with a couple of gas stations and restaurants nearby. It's easy to access the interstate and get where you need to go (fairly close to Riverwalk, but far enough away to have a reasonable price). The lobby is very nice, but the room decor was a bit "off" (doesn't quite all go together). Since that's not what I was looking for in a hotel, it's no big deal. The elevator is kinda slow, so took the stairs a couple of times. In some places, this can be a scary thing, but they were well maintained, bright and safe here. Not sure what kind of neighborhood it was (didn't seem too bad from what we could tell), but either way, the security is quite good - not easy to get in the building unless you are a guest of the hotel. Breakfast was quite good - included more than just cereal and a muffin! Room was comfortable and clean - no complaints there!

I called the hotel to reserve a room with a roll-in shower & was told that was what I had booked. I arrived at 10:30 pm only to find out that I had been put in a suite without a roll in shower so was unable to bathe my son at all. The desk clerk advised that I would not be able to speak to a manager until the next day so we stayed in the room given to us. The next day I spoke to the day manager who worked to resolve the issue but seem to have a difficult time doing that. We finally were moved to adjoining rooms, 1 regular & 1 with a roll in shower however the "handicapped accessible" room with the roll in shower was so small that without having the adjoining room, my son would not have been able to go anywhere in this room in his wheelchair past where the door opens. When I asked questions about other rooms with roll in showers, the staff just looked perplexed. I think that the staff needs to view all of the "accessible" rooms so that they can help guests that have special needs & know what they are talking about.

This was the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and both times have been excellent. The location is close to Downtown, The Pearl, the airport, and Fort Sam Houston. The internet was fast, and the breakfast was great. The staff really stands out, however. Everyone I encountered was courteous, kind, welcoming, and extremely helpful. Some of the ladies even helped me choose which earrings to wear with my outfit! The cleaning staff is trustworthy, also. None of my belongings were tampered with, and I really enjoy my stay every time I come to see my husband at Fort Sam Houston.

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was wonderful. We loved the fresh fruit and waffles. Lots of choices. Lovely sitting area outside. Very friendly and clean. I would stay again. It was easy for family to stay here and gather around downstairs. Nice workout room.

Excellent value 10 mins from downtown. Staff was excellent, the room was updated and VERY clean, the bed was very comfortable, and they had chorizo flavored sausage on the breakfast buffet along with the usual fare. This was business, but I'm going back for a weekend.

I stay at hotels frequently and it is always refreshing when the staff greet you with upbeat attitudes and make your check-in-check-out process simple and quick. The room was very clean and well appointed with a very comfortable bed. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We just left! Overall we had a great stay at this hotel. It was clean with a great location and they had a variety of food options. I have a gluten free diet and they even had options for me! We will definitely return when we come back to San Antonio next time!

The service we received from the staff was excellent. They were always willing to help and answer questions. Breakfast area was clean and eggs were hot. Coffee was always available. It was close to the military base we were visiting. and a few minutes away from downtown.

Friendly staff, clean and comfortable guest rooms (newly renovated) and conveniently located to Pearl district and highway. I had to find a hotel near the Do-Seum for a work related event. Didn't want to stay along the Riverwalk. This was a great option. The rates were reasonable, the breakfast had decent options and check in/out was really quick.

It was a very clean hotel and staff was on the Job ready to help, had a 1st floor room as they moved me because I was a Diamond member. I would stay here over and over as the location was very accessible to downtown and my family's location

The hotel looked like the images online. Wished the pool was a little larger and the breakfast area. I always inspect my hotel beds before I get settled in my room. I saw multiple blood spots in covers, So I went to buy my own covers.

For the price it was a good stay. We had no issues with either the staff or room. Check in was easy as well as checking out. Room was clean and had no issues. Hotel was located near downtown and (except for the construction near the hotel) was east to get through. Two convenience stores and a sonic were in very easy walking distance from the hotel.

David and staff are always accommodating, I always stay here when I am in town. I check in get my coffee use the WiFi and kick back at the pool. My first choice when I am in San Antonio plus BBQ across the street and a major gas station before I get back on the road.

People here were very nice and the inside is comfortable. But, it's an older, right-off-the-interstate area that felt a little unsafe. The housekeeper forgot to leave shampoo and conditioner twice (even after I specifically asked for it after the first night). The room smelled like body odor when I first entered. I'm not sure if that was their cleaning supplies or what, but fortunately I had a can of room deodorizer with me. Bed is comfortable. Breakfast was more "Best Western" than "Best Western Plus" - very limited. Again, the staff are very nice. They couldn't give me an early check-in and seemed confused about my room when I arrived after 5. Not sure what happened there, but they also seemed to be having some sort of computer issue, which can happen anywhere. All in all, this is a skip for me. I'll try to the Best Western Sunset Suites if I can't get a Riverwalk hotel (for a conference). I think it's quite a bit a step up and more what I expect from a BW Plus. (I am a BW Diamond member, by the way, and generally find the Plus hotels to be more than adequate.)

This hotel was very clean with nice updates. Room was spacious. The location with regard to San Antonio tourist attractions was exceptional. Loved that it was directly off I-35. Was great to have an oversized "mini" fridge/freezer combo and microwave in the room. No complaints...found this using an Express Deal on Priceline. Would intentionally stay again in the future.

Good value and located about 2-3 minutes driving from Walters gate of Ft. Sam Houston. Breakfast is ok, but they don't start serving until 630. People in the room across the hall were very loud when leaving at 4am. Door didn't do much to dampen the noise. Internet is decent for streaming video. Hotel looks brand new. Bed pretty comfortable. Tried to express checkout but the staff "didn't get around to it", as he stated and so I had to wait at the desk to be checked out.

Minute I walked in, I loved it. Customer service was great, friendly staff. Then we got on the elevator and going up to the 5th floor, the elevator slammed hard as if we were going to be locked in or worse. Then our toilet was not working and we had to manually fill the tank with water, well after that stopped to work, the toilet seemed as it would overflow, called front desk, was told they could not find anyone to help or find a plunger, after about 20 minutes, a woman gave my friend the plunger in the hall way of the lobby to bring it up to us. My husband had to attend to this issue. I am upset about this because for one the room is not cheap and we as guests should not have had to conduct the job of the hotel. The tub in shower would not drain either which was another disappointment. I wanted to love it, but these 3 issues made it impossible.

Very good value I only checked in and stayed in the room the TV was easy to use and the desk was very nice size to work on. The AC worked well and kept the room very comfortable. I would stY here again if I have meetings at the same place next time

Cudos for their honesty and returning my wedding ring after I called back. It would have been nice if they have us or child's pillow at the same time. They are trying! Hotel not downtown as advertised or we would stay longer. A little pricy for proximity to downtown, 5 miles plus out, which we did not realize at time of booking. Staff friendly and front desk trying. Kids running around late night.. Noisy. Not in a great part of town i think. Otherwisenot a bad place to stay

The staff and the facility is just what we hoped for, very nice and friendly staff and a great hotel. We enjoyed hanging out by the pool under the pergola and just relaxing. The staff was very helpful in giving directions to the downtown sights.

The rooms at this hotel were very clean and decorated very nice it made you feel like you were home. The breakfast was very good with a good selection. there is a Bar b Que restaurant right across the street with very good food.

Rooms are clean, updated, and comfortable. Pretty good value. Close to the interstate and a few restaurants nearby. Bed was a bit worn out but not bad. Breakfast has some variety. Coffee is good and staff is friendly.

The employees at the breakfast area went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The staff at the front desk were not rude, but just ok. The hotel has been remodeled. The beds and pillows were clean and comfortable. The room and bathroom were very clean.

Newly renovated. Very clean Quiet AC great location by Fort Sam old building but well renovated probably the best hotel ( for the cost) I have stayed at in many years. It. Is near the pearl brewery entertainment area.

The flight arrived early, getting our luggage & rental car went faster than expected so we arrived an hour prior to check in time, the lady at the front desk was kind enough to let us check in early. This was great it allowed us to start sightseeing an hour early. Our room it was clean, spacious and comfortable. There was a hot breakfast that ranged from waffles, eggs to bagels & toast. A great and quick way to start your morning. The staff we came in contact with was very nice and helpful. A great place to stay.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at in San Antonio. Very close to the convention center. The rooms are very large. Staff was amazing. The breakfast was great. Will def stay here again next time I'm back in town. Will def recommend to others.

The staff was really friendly great location and very clean would recommend to anyone looking for a great clean establishment. Very easy to find and felt safe. Can't wait to stay here again. Love the pool area.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Both the rooms and pool area were very clean. Parking was great and not too far from the downtown attractions. The rooms were reasonably priced for a downtown hotel. We took uber to get to the Riverwalk. I would definitely recommend this hotel!

We wanted to stay down on the River Walk, but the cost, lack of parking, and breakfast dictated that we look for an alternative! This BW was perfect! We were minutes away from the downtown area for half the price! The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was good! Great value!

Very friendly staff everyone was awesome, always willing to help. Breakfast was great and the beds are so comfortable, best sleep i have ever had! Very clean rooms and hotel, love the patio area they have. Will definitely be returning to this hotel.

Hotel is very easy to find just off the freeway. Hotel staff where very helpful and attentive, rooms clean and spacious (what you'd expect from a BW plus) and breakfast was good - free coffee available throughout the day. Only minor fault is that this hotel is not downtown; however only 5 dollars in an Uber. Good, affordable alternative to river walk hotels.

This hotel is fantastic in all aspects. It's easy access to the interstates and to Ft. Sam Houston was perfect. The bed slept very well, the A/C kept the room very comfortable, internet was good, and all the employees went out of their way to make sure all of our needs were met.

My son left his swim shorts in the bathroom of our room. I called and they had them waiting for me at the front desk. The breakfast had a variety of options. The coffee cups could have been bigger. The pool was not very big, but they had a very nice patio to sit and relax.

We read some of the reviews on TripAdvisor prior to booking this hotel and were a bit concerned but decided to book anyway b/c most of the reviews were positive. We had a very good stay and would choose the hotel again. The property appears to have been recently remodeled in a nice modern style which is very appealing to us. The breakfast service was very good (they even had coconut flakes available!). Even though we were near the Interstate, we didn't notice any road noise. There were only two drawbacks. We experienced a few wifi disconnects which were a bit annoying but we were able reconnect within a few minutes. When connected, the wifi was quick. In addition, the bed frame was noticeably larger in outside dimension than the matters posing an injury hazard. No problem for us b/c we noticed it right away.

Great and friendly staff, nice rooms. Had everything I needed for my stay, love having my coffee in my room then 1 on the way out. Nice well lit parking lot and was surprised to see charging stations for electric cars. Couldn't believe there was chinese, mexican and bbq within a mile and major gas stations. Great part is being close to downtown without the traffic.

Received very bad customer service from the woman working the 7 am-3pm shift on 3/14/2017. I really liked this hotel, but the experience went downhill because of this one employee. She wouldn't let me check in, nor give me a receipt upon checking out. I come from a hospitality background, having have worked at hotels, and this woman does not belong in hospitality. Very ugly person all around.

We are reward members and needed to find a BW close to The Quarry. My husband and I stayed 2 nights in an awkwardly redesigned room with a closet that only opens about 10 inches on each side (TINY). We checked out around 9 AM Sunday morning and as I rushed out I forgot my clothes hanging in the closet. (We're talking 6 items total including 2 COATS!) Monday morning, when I realized my clothes were missing, I contacted the hotel and 24 hours later I still can not get a manager to return my call. The staff can only locate half of what I had hanging in the closet. I'm sick that my brand new clothes are gone and I can't even get a phone call to 'confirm' that only 3 items have been found. I will have to make a four hour round trip to pick up half of my clothes. I know someone could have called to let us know we had left some items in the closet but no phone call and now it seems a manager is nonexistent. The cleaning staff (or hotel personnel) that entered my room after I left must have taken the clothing. Clothes do not walk off on their own. Do yourself a favor and stay in a hospital hotel that has an actual manager...this place is ridiculous!

It's the people that make the biggest difference. In this case, the person at the desk and the person doing the breakfast were great and made us feel that they really cared. The location is very handy to both Fort Sam and to Downtown.

Easy access off I35, then minutes away from the AT&T Center where we went to see a concert. Hotel felt very new/refurbished. Love to have a fridge and microwave. Breakfast was as expected - stick with cereal, yogurt and bagel if possible. Close to some restaurants for options!

Fit my requirements of close to Alamo Dome & River Walk, reasonably priced and safe with interior hallways. Free breakfast and internet connections a bonus. Altogether a very good experience. I would definitely recommend this hotel and wouls stay there again when in San Antonio.

We went to the Shamrock Series, Notre Dame vs. Army, West Point, football game. Hotel was very clean & well appointed, comfortable beds, free WiFi, breakfast and very affordable. It is within a 5 minute drive to the Alamo Dome and 8-10 minutes to the River Walk. Highly recommend it for location just off I-35 access, price and amenities.

Loved the accommodations. We also signed up to receive points for future stays. The staff is friendly and attentive. The rooms are clean and the interior design is excellent. Will be staying at Best Westerns from now on!

The hotel staff was great. Very Clean & Newly updated. Enjoyed my stay. The only problem the corners of the bed were very sharp. Breakfast was very good. Had refrigerator & microwave. It was close to AT & T Center.

Don't stay here. We found cockroaches in our room in the middle of the night. The staff was somewhat accommodating but didn't offer a refund or really help with the problem, they just said the pest company is aware. We asked for a pair of gloves to clean them up and were informed the manager does not "allow" their cleaning staff to wear gloves. I own a manufacturing company selling products in infection control. That should be looked into . . .again don't stay here for a while.

The hotel was great. Close to downtown, the Alamo and the river walk. Also tons of great local restaurants within a 10 min drive. Hotel staff was friendly always spoke as we entered or exited. I have zero complaints about this hotel will definitely stay again when I visit San Antonio.

How we ended up here, I don't know. But I was sick and got to town without a reservation and having done no research. This is an old hotel. Breakfast is included in the price. Not sure how clean it is - I was sure not going to do a lot of close looking. Let's just say that I wore my flip flops on the rug and in the shower. Wouldn't want to wander around in bare feet.

The hotel is located a short drive from downtown. It looks like an older building in need of a renovation. Room cleanliness is adequate but definitely not spotless. The desk person was cordial but without any trace of personality. There was a whole room's worth of dirty sheets and towels on the floor in the hallway of the second floor right next to the main elevator at check-in 7pm...and the pile was still there at check-out 10am the next morning! Obviously no staff member did any kind of walk-through for at least 15 hours, or if they did, they decided to leave the pile of dirty sheets where everyone could see them. Free breakfast is served 630-930am. My family arrived at 9am. I guess only one pitcher of milk is put out, and when that is gone...it's gone. There was "citrus punch" kept in a not-too-clean-looking plastic jug. Don't drink it. None of my family of 5 could stomach it. The free breakfast is basically made to order by a cook who does not greet guests and looks like he would rather not be there and is waiting anxiously for quitting time. He does have a tip jar primed with dollar bills though. The menu says he serves pancakes, sausage, eggs, and hash browns. We only asked for pancakes as his expression indicated that he would be offended by us asking for anything more. On the plus side, the pancakes were adequate. It was Easter and he did give the kids Easter eggs...so that was unexpectedly nice. The shower was lukewarm at best. So the place is ok for a night or two if you have no other choice. But don't expect much, go somewhere and pay for a decent breakfast, and whatever you do...DON'T DRINK THE PUNCH!

we picked this hotel thru Expedia. When we got there Anthony the desk clerk told us it would be more money. We explained we had a reservation and # and he told us he didn't care because we would be charged whether we stayed or not!!! I said that was a scam to charge more and we would call Expedia - which we did and 1 1/2 hours later they sent us to a different hotel. We could never have stayed there because we believed he would have down something and made us fearful. DO NOT GO THERE!!! IT IS A RIP OFF!!!

I kinda don't even now where to start! We just checked out from a 2 night stay! The first impression is DIRTY DIRTY DIRTY!! The lobby was dirty & the outside didn't give you a welcoming feeling at all!! The elevator in the lobby had a door that closed to the elevator "I didn't like that at all it gave me a very uneasy feeling!" The whole hotel has nasty smell like roaches/rats/musty/old I get that it's old but this was nasty! The fridge in the room made a noise off & on! The room we were in slept 6 & only had enough towels 4 ppl then the 2nd night we didn't even get any bath towels! We would have checked out & stayed somewhere else but it's the summer & theirs 6 of us it was hard last minute to find this room that slept 6! We will never stay there again!!

We stayed at the hotel last year. Its location is great close to all amenities. Priced right. and free wifi is huge. Room and washroom conditions were good. Good staff. They were able to accomodate us and provide us good locations where to visit in San Antonio.
