    « Not so 'Best' »

No private balcony, no dedicated parking, only one plug by room. The magnetic doors of various rooms kept failing during our stay. Hotel seems old..Bathroom has no shower, only a bath..So kids, pregnant women or handicapped persons will struggle!Luckily the employees are nice..For example one had to climb two stairs to open our friend's room each time they add to move!!Bloody door

    « Modern, clean »

Checked in at 1:30 am, their 24hr check-in came in handy. Room was clean and modern but basic, and just what we needed for a night sleep. Only issue was one small pillow, no spares on hand. Staff were great, spoke/understood English. A PAUL Cafe right next door for breakfast. Perfect!

« Good location, solid property »

Location, location, location are the bedrocks of hotels, and in this field, the BW is excellent. Located at the shore (well, the N2 runs between the hotel and the sea), it is at the end of the rue de Paris, and perfectly located to explore this quirky little city. The hotel itself is pleasant; it offers normal rooms, with normal amenities and a friendly front-desk staff. The internet is an issue; as will all older hotels who have had wi-fi installed, it is patchy, and best close to the elevator. It is also strong in the bathrooms, but less so by the windows, where the workplaces are! Beware - if this is important, ask for a room with a good signal. Breakfast is good, and the bar/restaurant pleasant places to hang out. A good property, I will return, but not really more than "average".

« Not cozy, but clean & professional »

The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Saint Denis near the embankment and close to the city center and shops. Very good for business travelers or for those who are in transit. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The service was good and the staff was pleasant, friendly and helpful. Rooms have good WiFi connection The pool is small, clean and very good for a morning swim. Breakfast was a rich buffet and after dinner don't miss the exterior bar, with great cocktails and also friendly staff. In my opinion is only missing some maintenance works and general improvements to increase the quality available to guests ... by chance in our floor there were remodeling works that nothing bothered our rest. Various restaurants nearby including the Roland Garros (traditional or local cuisine) and the Vapiano with a very interesting cooking concept. Conclusion: not a cozy hotel at all, but a clean and professional one.

« Pleasant hotel well located »

Stayed one night, the staff were very friendly with clean rooms that was well appointed. The hotel is very near the centre, walking distance from shops and restaurants etc. Unfortunately the water system stopped in the morning so I could not shower however the staff sent me free bottles of water to at least get small wash before leaving to catch my flight.

« A functional hotel for business or transit travellers. »

Pros: close to all the city bars and cafes. You are also facing the coast so great view and foot path for morning runs. Staff is very helpful. Cons: Pool is not very well maintained, lobby area is small.

    « Visit »

Rooms clean and tidy. Handy to town and on waterfront. Staff helpful. Decor a bit 1970s. You need 200 characters really? Ok. Well if you're looking for a good restaurant Antika a few blocks up is good. Bye.

« Beautiful waterfront location. Great base for St Denis. »

We weren't expecting much from this hotel so we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The location is brilliant, just across the main road from the waterfront, with a nicely developed parkland great for walking and running along the coast. Also it is only a few blocks from the main pedestrian mall shopping area, and tons of different restaurants everywhere for all tastes and budgets. We had a very friendly reception, including welcome drinks, and were quickly checked into our room. The hotel has been undergoing renovation, so a lot of unfinished business in the hallways, however no noise to speak of. Good to see that they are making the effort to improve things. The room bordered on the small side, but had a great ocean view ? beautiful sunset! It was modern and comfortably furnished, with a big computer desk, TV, fridge, and AC. The free Wifi internet connection was reliable and fast. We didn't try out La Oasis restaurant, but we did have a few drinks by the pool ? very nice at sunset. Overall ? great stay and a great base for St Denis. We would definitely come back here again and would recommend it to other travelers.

    « Business trip - Reunion »

I visits Reunion for business every 6-8 weeks and stay at the Best Western - I was so disappointed on this trip as I stayed on the 4th floor which was a building site as they were doing upgrades- the management did not even inform me of the building- shocking experience disappointedastay on this trip again

    « A good stay »

We stayed here for a few days as a base for visiting the attractions of Reunion Island and are glad we did. It was great value for the price and the restaurant was excellent. The staff were friendly, helpful and fluent in English (which is a rare thing in Reunion).

    « Ok for a short stay »

Stayed at Best Western for 1 night back in June 2015 as I had an operation scheduled. The hotel is conveniently located and it was easy to commute to the clinic and back. Room was clean but sadly there was no separate shower and going in and out of the bathtub was an ordeal as I could not see properly(because of the surgery) Else breakfast was so so.nothing special to look forward to and there was obviously no waiting staff for the breakfast service.canteen style. Carmen at the reception was very helpful and even offered a late checkout.

    « Great Night Stay »

This Hotel is perfectly situated for any business or holiday travel. Very comfortable and not too expensive. Friendly and helpful staff and I will stay there again. There are many restaurants around the hotel and you can take walks along the paths that are close to the ocean. The room I had faced the ocean and had air conditioning.

« Hotel is ok for a short stay »

We stayed in the Best Western Le Saint Denis over the December holidays. The rooms were ok and clean but I do think they need to be updated, especially the bathrooms. The staff was friednly and helpful and the pool at the hotel was great. The hotel is situated in a decent location close to the waterfront, restaurants & nightlife. There is a Paul bakery just across the street where you can get decent pastries.

    « Business Trip! »

A last minute business trip meant last minute room bookings for a colleague and I in the Best Western. Both of our rooms were on the fourth floor and I had a lovely view of the sea and palm trees... The rooms were basic, though comfortable and kept very clean by the friendly house-keeping staff. The bathroom was also kept clean and the standard toiletries you'd expect (soap, shampoo & shower gel) were supplied. I had no issues with my air conditioning unit - it was much needed most days and nights - simple to use and effective. We ate in the restaurant a couple of times and the staff were very friendly, food was average. The most credit must go to the wonderful man at reception - very helpful and friendly. A real credit to the hotel! Although I wouldn't stay here for a holiday, for a business trip it was fine and ticked all necessary boxes.

    « Private »

A nice mid-range business hotel. Excellent food and a professional, but at same time relaxed, restaurant staff. Rooms comfortable with usual basic ameneties : tea- making , fridge , good aircon controls . TV with mostly French Sat TV,

    « Time for investment ! »

Right in the city center, next to the central administration area and the sea front. Quite ok location a few blocks away from the night life and further the commercial area. The hotel was built in the 70s and despite several repainting giving you a relative feeling of freshness, clearly it is old and not to what you can expect from a business hotel. The hotel rooms are painted in white with flashy orange seats and the indescribable pseudo modern painting in front of you when you go to bed. Everything else is not up to the standard: little office desk, small room (and I asked for a superior's), depressing bathroom, etc. Let's pass on the 12 euros breakfasts buffet: poor quality food, little choice, service lacking. Cross the street and go to the boulangerie next door to enjoy their terrace. I could continue (small pool, lobby area, etc). At the end you just wonder: unattractive for any tourist, business seams the only way to go... But unfortunately it does not meet what you expect either...

« Good location, bad condition »

Location of hotel is wonderful. You can see the outstanding sunsets. But there was something wrong with air conditioning in my room. It was really cold there. I went to reception and they told me that this is normal temperature. Next day they told that air conditioning is inoperable in my room, but they can fix it only next day. So it was very cold for one more night. I have diamond member card of best Western, but they refused to arrange late checkout for me.

« Designed for Peace and Relaxation »

I have to start by saying that this hotel is not for the bourgeoisie, Best Western is purely a peace oasis to say the least making it ideal for a restfull getaway, workshop or rendezvous. Neither will you get spectacular art hanging around, nor will you see superior quality furniture or service , but i can guarantee that you will find a lot of peace in this establishment . The rooms meet the minimum basic standards and have recently been rennovated and painted snow white (top-down) , the internet access is great except for the annoying continuous login procedures, The only anglophone channel on television is Euronews which was fine for me and relevant for updates because i didn't travel miles on mission to come and lazy about my hotel room catching the latest comedy or drama! Just to be uncompromisingly forthright about breakfast, i was utterly dissapointed by the limited variety of servings considering i am a salt and not sweets type of person, the lunch is rich in variety. The location is perfect at the edge of the island in St. Denis being the capital city of Reunion and they have a pool bar "L'Oasis "from which you can ponder about your life choices and delve into some meditation as you look upon the soothing ocean . It's not much to write about , but its a place to think about.

    « South African »

The hotel rooms are very average with the beds being very close to the floor. The rooms air- conditioner made an unbearable noise and as a result I was not able to switch the unit on for the 3 days that I was at the hotel. The TV only caters for French visitors as non of the channels where English

« Not something to look forward to »

The hotel Le Saint Denis is just ok, nothing spectacular. The hotel is advertised as breakfast included. Buyer beware this is a sub standard continental breakfast consisting of half a loaf of hard baguette, petit pastry and croissant with condiments. Not very appetizing for the non French visitor. If you want some protein you need to pay an additional €7. Waiters can't speak or understand English, which is painful. The room is of a decent size, although looks very different from the pictures on the internet like Our telephone was out of order, the toilet was loose, the shower leaked into the bathroom when used. The reception area has a leak through the ceiling!! Service around the pool area is nom existent. Should you wish to have a drink you need to collect from the bar yourself. Used glasses are left out on tables for long periods of time. The pool is very clean and refreshing. Around the pool is rather dirty, with rubbish lying around.

    « Problems »

The safe was not working and not even bolted to the wall. No use for it. It was cold that night but not heat out of the aircon. The rooms have been revamped but some of the old stuff is still there like an old desk. The bath plug looked like it had mold on it. But overall good experience. You must try the restaurant next door called Le Roland Garros, a French bistro, super !
