myself and a colleague spent 11 days at this hotel . Hotel very clean , great internet access , staff very friendly , with great local knowledge. Great location with the train station directly across the road , with trains to most major town centers. Food very nice , Breakfast cakes and breads really nice. Would stay again
Easy hotel with great location (close to train station and also city center). Good coverage and strength WiFi signal. Easy but tasty breakfast. Room is smaller but with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Suitable for business trips.
I have stayed at the Hotel Goderie on many occasions for business. The room rate generally around €90 represents reasonable value. All rooms I have stayed in have always been clean and have a full suite of toiletries. The main downfall of Hotel Goderie is the breakfast. At €16, it is very poor value with a small choice of cooked food. Typically scrambled eggs, hard boiled eggs and greasy bacon. I would recommend staying there but have breakfast elsewhere if you can.
Stayed at this hotel for a week.. Very comfy and cosy hotel, the Train Station is just 2 min walk, the staff were super courteous and very helpful.. the reception desk staff are simply amazing and try their best.. The room which was reserved for me had spacious bathroom which my colleague refuted as he got a different kind of room altogether. When you check-in i would suggest you request for a higher floor and bigger bathroom as one of my other colleagues who was at a lower floor complained she could hear cars whiz by.. also ask for rooms with better internet connectivity if you wish to get some work get done in your room.. I think i was blessed with the best room overall. Ohh and the food was great as well...
Great hotel with all modern amenities, room was spotless, food was awesome with a good choice. Staff were all helpful and friendly. Close to the station, although very quiet, unable to hear the trains at all. The second time that we have stayed here whilst visiting the Corso Zundert, the Manager Guillaume was most helpful in arranging tickets and transport. A very relaxed and comfortable stay, we will return!
The Best Western City Hotel Goderie is a nice little hotel in a good location (but not in the centre of the town). The rooms are clean and a good size. The staff are very helpful but the breakfast was a little lacking. Overall a good hotel for a short break.
A nice hotel in front of the railway station and near to the city centre. Nice rooms and a good restaurant/bar. Also meeting rooms availeble. Lot of parking places in the area. Breakfest en dinner are nice!!
Nice hotel, good location for station although not in the centre of town, friendly staff, have stayed twice in this hotel, some rooms are better than others as in all hotels. I've eaten in the restaurant & had a very pleasant meal, there is a good choice of food on the Menu. Room was comfortable, quiet, clean. Breakfast was sufficient. Only downside is parking, as there is no free parking. Also wireless internet is a bit patchy, video chat for instance isn't happening.
Cozy place, friendly staff. Very good location just opposite of the main train station. The breakfast was good and satisfied. And the hotel restaurant for dinner is good and responsible prices. I recommend the salmon dish, very delicious ??
Excellent staff. Guillaume (night manager / hotel manager) was the best. After a long drive in the rain from Amsterdam, he was a pleasure to speak with. Very attentive and friendly. Rooms on the small side but no complaints. Good wi-fi. No iron or ironing board but one was brought to the room. Hotel breakfast was satisfying. Short stay, but a great place.
Just in front of the train station. Small but cosy room.the issue is that there is no door between the toilet and the room. Excellent wifi Very good restaurant at reasonable prices.the staff very helpfull
In April my wife and I travelled to Holland for the “Spring Gardens and Floralia” rail tour with Diamond Holidays. Rooms were bright and comfortable, staff were friendly and the location was perfect for our inclusive tours. However it appears that Diamond Rail budget allowance for our inclusive breakfast was extremely limited, with the breakfast items extremely poor-not the fault of the Hotel! Basic Continental breakfast items such as cereals, croissants, yoghurt, fresh fruit and quality local breads were NOT available to Diamond clients but were available in another part of the dining room to ALL other hotel guests including parties on the same tour as us but travelling with other companies. I would recommend the Tour and this lovely hotel but would suggest that others give low budget Diamond Rail Holidays a miss!
Personnel is very friendly and helpfully. The manager knows what guests need and gives this personal touch. Also the rooms and other premises are clean and perfect furnished. Restaurant and menu are very good because you can eat a different dishes. Prices are correct for what you got.
Rooms are nice enough, food not so, breakfast not great....staff helpful and attentive. Very handy for train station and bike hire. Avoid room 101! Undergoing refurbishment so rooms nice enough, 10 mins walk from main centre...
Friendly and quiet hotel. Excellent staff and rooms, restaurant a little limited for choice and quite expensive. Scrambled egg and smoked salmon for breakfast highly recommended. Adjacent to the railway station (90 mins to Schiphol Airport) and the local Bus Station.
we paid 169 euros for one night for 4 of us in the same room, we had 2 small beds only slightly bigger than a single bed between 4 of us! Apparently this was a good deal according to the receptionist but ive never felt so disappointed with a hotel stay before like this. This was the worst nights sleep ive ever had in a long time, let alone paying 169 euros for the privilege! plus we had to park miles away from the hotel! not a pleasant trip at all
The hotel and staff are OUTSTANDING at Hotel Goderie! Owner Guillaume Cremers went out of his way to help us rent a car on very short notice, as well as handed us his personal GPS to use during our travels. He and his staff are some of the nicest people we have ever encountered and did anything and everything to make our stay in Roosendaal one of the best experiences ever!
The rooms are clean and many (if not all) have been updated so in particular the bathrooms are clean and European in style. For those who use hairdryers they are attached to the wall and not great! Beds are comfortable and I always sleep well but try and avoid street side as it can be noisy at times. Some of the rooms are small especially the basic ones. Service is great and friendly. I have stayed a few times and always found friendly faces and welcoming staff.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for its location and cleanliness. Basic rooms but spotlessly clean. We didn't eat here as the central square is so near and has lots of choice for dining. The breakfast was plentiful and with so many staff lingering you can get all the help you need.
Booked a stay here as a planned visit which turned into a family bereavement. The staff could not have been helpful and caring under these extremely difficult circumstances. Always welcomed us back with a smile and a caring word. We had some lovely chats with the manager ( I think) and a man (the night manager? Who previously worked for ING bank) Sorry we did not get your names, but these chats were greatly appreciated!! Look forward to returning under better circumstances.
The hotel is IDEALLY located, hence my booking. But all began to fall apart from there. On arrival, following a web booking with Best Western's own site, having asked for a room with a bath, was told that for that I would need an upgradef for that. So why wouldn't their website have told me that? Also, I told reception at check-in that I did NOT want the card I had used to guarantee the room, to be used for the bill. I gave another card and he said that'd be no problem. Unfortunately, on checkout the bill was about 60 euros too much, which took some 20 minutes of wrangling; and then when I got back to the UK found that AS WELL AS paying by my preferred card on departure, I had ALSO been charged the booking on my other credit card. Which also added on a £6 currency fee charge (which is just exactly why I do NOT use it for payments overseas...). Anyway, following that, email exchanges were unsatisfactory and with the currency charge PLUS the major drop in the pound's value versus the euro in the interim, I am about £12 out of pocket. OK not a huge amount but it's the principle. It was THEIR mistake and yet I have to pay... If you add to that a rather teensy room and ageing fabric, it's certainly NOT a place I will return to. Despite working regularly in the area. Very disappointing for such a large International chain. Ho hum...
it was my 3rd stay there for business, this time I saw more staff, which really improved the service (especially in the morning) the owner is very kind as usual I'm yet to enjoy one of the refurbished rooms !
The hotel is directly opposite the train station 160m. The rooms are all being refurbished (nearly finished). The new rooms are lovely, great air conditioning, comfy beds and fantastic showers. Breakfast was great and the hotel is approx 10 mins walk into centre of town. The best thing about the hotel is the staff, everyone we met was so friendly and went out of their way to help. I highly recommend this hotel!
This hotel is situated as per the central really near the railway station and well situated for the local parking. Upon arrival we were informed the hotel was being renovated and were offered a little bottle opener. We went upstairs floor 2 and were immediately met by plastic protecting the carpet and a loud radio from the workmen. Beware you will hear the workmen early in the morning walking back and forth and if your near the fire escape around there too, it wasn't annoying but did wake you up. The room were quite large, light and airy, but no air-con and during our stay it got quite hot and humid. There were enough plug points and enough areas to hang and place clothes, I have to say through I understand why the rooms were being renovated the décor was quite dated and the bathrooms definitely are in need of a makeover, though I would still stay. The restaurant which holds breakfast was ok bit dark and old stylie but ok especially if you sat in the front by the windows. The breakfast consisted of breads, fruit cheeses and meats along with yoghurts and some hot foods and all the tea and coffee you can drink. We tried the lunch menu, my business associate had the tomato soup and an open sandwich and I a small cup of soup and three assorted sandwiches. They were all very nicely presented and tasted nice too. We did not partake of the evening menu. All in all a good stay will be interesting to see what the rooms look like when finished
Could not believe that so little personnel can give so much service! Unfortunately Roosendaal is just a place in transit on the way to Antwerp, Brussels, Paris, Breda or whatever, but this hotel just a 3 minutes walk from the station is an excellent place to stay! Can recommend its staff as well..
Across from the train and bus station, this is a very nice place to stay at reasonable price, not far by train from Antwerp, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The staff is very helpful, the rooms clean, very good breakfast, and pleasant dinners. It is only a short walk to the center of Roosendaal where there are many places to enjoy your visit. You can also rent a bicycle for a nice ride around town or into the countryside. There are plenty of parking places if you have a car; just remember to place the parking receipt on the dash to avoid a ticket.
Roosendaal is a centrally located small city, not far from Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, short drive into Belgium or Germany. The hotel is right across from the train and bus station, so it is easy to get around. The restaurant is very nice, rooms are clean, staff are all friendly and attentive. This hotel is an excellent choice for quality accommodations at an economical price.
